"Better Than Expected, Room for Improvement"
Very clean king room, fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Super nice and helpful staff! Bathroom needs work, bring your own towels if you desire poofy and luxurious. Housekeeping does a kick-ass job! Didn't try the breakfast, so can't comment. Climate control worked great, WIFI available (bring your own VPN). Overall, better than a 2.5 that it may be rated.
"Could have been alot better"
Having the room next to the loud icemaker as it kicked off and on every 5 minutes and using window instead of smelling ac was a bad idea. Carpet was very dirty bring slippers socks were black. Hopefully they have some updated rooms
"Very expensive for what you get"
This place definitely seemed like a rundown hotel that someone bought and attempted to fix up on shoestring budget. Noisy, stains on rug and carpet. There was only one other major hotel in the area and they were booked full while this place still had availability. After staying there, I can see why.

"dated room, better value comparing to other hotels in the area"
this hotel needs major remodel or cleanup, rooms have permanent stains on the walls, furniture and even ceiling, also looks like staff makes their own policies not allowing late checkout even when most rooms are empty
"A cheap motel at high-end price."
Pros: Room reasonably clean, bed comfortable, wifi strong, easy chair in room. Front desk staff friendly. Cons: Shabby, slightly dingy especially bathroom, old, cheap fixtures including poorly functioning toilet and shower. Bottom of the line amenities. Blanket too thin. Unattractive, unhealthful breakfast options. Not a dump, but a poor value.
"Electrical Issues"
Very disappointed in my overnight stay! When bringing the electrical issue in the bathroom to the front desk clerk attention the clerk was well aware! I was expecting a much better experience with the rate of the room! I would NOT recommend this Best Western and will not stay again!

"Noisy, BW bargain brand"
Property is located on a very busy intersection that is noisy all night long. Pool very small. Breakfast minimal. Although the room configuration is standard for every chain, it was clearly low on the Best Western food chain. Property is not located in an area of restaurants and shops.

"Highly recommend"
I highly recommend this hotel. It is close enough to town to enjoy their eateries and close enough to freeway to continue travel. Very clean and quiet. Nice pool. great front desk. Overall a 5 plus star rating
"Ridiculous deposit."
I was charged a $100.00 room key card deposit for 2 room key cards that may be worth one dollar each if that much. It will take several days for that charge to come off of my credit card bill. The hotel is by no means a five star hotel.

Dear deraldlangwell, It is unfortunate that you did not understand our incidentals deposit policy is. We require up to $150.00 incidentals deposit in addition to room and tax at the time of check in. Our website also states this which you clearly did not read. At the time of check in you were informed of this as well. When you called on Tuesday Aug 10 I did explain to you that this is not a charge and that is pre-authorization and is released by the hotel on the day of your check out and it will take your bank up to 7 business days to reverse this. Some banks are quicker then others. This is not a key card deposit for 2 room key cards. You clearly did not understand when we explained it to you. Our deposit requirement is also stated on our website which clearly was not read at the time of making your reservation using our website. If you disagreed with our deposit requirements you had the option of not booking your reservation and you had the option of not checking into the hotel when this policy was explained to you at the time of check in. We did not force you to stay with us, you have other choices. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
"Dirty, run down, sloppy motel"
Room in desperate need of upgrade and basic repairs. Shower so dingy, gross and stained. Rings along all edges from shampoo bottles. Groups of men standing outside my room made me feel unsafe. Owner tried to raise the rate by $40 after arrived. Took a lot of arguing for them to honor my booking I made online directly with their website.

You has booked a room under the State Rate which is a Per-Diem rate for official travel use only. You did not present a valid state id qualify for the rate. You even stated you did not work for the state at the time of check in. "as a female traveling alone, pass"
I traveled for work and was here alone, I felt unsafe. There was no way to stop the window from opening completely, guys gathered outside, one night I drove in and there were people sitting in the driveway smoking something at the entrance with their stuff. The cleanliness was also very poor, i'm glad I brought comfy shoes to wear inside. The tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile, the drain was broken, there was a dead bug on a towel, earwigs in the room and stains on the chair, I just didn't feel comfortable putting my stuff down. The bed was okay and did seem clean enough to sleep in. I would have booked another place but there aren't many places to stay in Hollister and by the time I was in the room, everything else was booked.

I can assure you that our hotel is serviced by a third party Pest Control company every month. Earwigs are a big nuisance in Hollister being a farming community and we being located in the middle of the farming area. "Dingy hotel and I'm not a picky person."
This hotel is in a great location for visiting Pinnacles National Park but it is dingy and needs a major upgrade. The staff is great but they have to deal with a substandard facility. The noise from the room above me forced me to go to the front office at 1:00 am. The continental breakfast that was provided consisted of an orange, a breakfast bar and a mini bottle of water. Covid-19 is no excuse for this pathetic breakfast.

"Excellent Service"
From start to finish our stay was seamless. The Office staff was amazing and it was a pleasant experience. Patricia assisted me with making arrangements for my father n law. She remembered my family and I from previous stays. We will always choose PureStay because a great stay starts before you even get there. Thank you Patricia and the SureStay team.
"Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper"
Only stayed one night, but barely slept. We could hear everything from our room. Doors slamming, kids running upstairs, and cars pulling in/out & car doors slamming. It was so hard to drown out the noise, even with the tv left on. Room was clean and comfortable, but had to get up at 6am to leave and felt like we didn't sleep.
"Terrible"
The bedding and towels were old and worn and clearly wrinkled. The ‘quilt' was wrapped in 2 sheets and fell apart. First sheet stained with pen markers and replacement sheet stained with menstruated blood. Shower caulk was moldy, and we had to flush toilet 10 times to get number 2 to flush-we finally resorted to using ice bucket to dump extra water in toilet. We could really hear the guy next door and THE TV WAS FUZZY! This is not worth $100 a nite and is not up to Best Western standards.

"Close to Hollister Hills SVRA"
Well, they have come a long way from what they were. Could be way better, could have been worse. Staff were very friendly. Lots of issues with the Covid. If the pool is going to be closed, drain it instead of having a giant green pond.
"Cigarette Smell"
Claims to be non-smoking but my room had a cigarette smell which gave me a headache and also really rough and dirty stained towels. Only plus was they have a microwave and a mini fridge. Wouldn't recommend

"Disgusting"
Checked in for 2 nights, visiting family in the area. Room was ok, the bed was very soft, not to my liking. The bathtub was disgusting. There was mold all around on the tiles, the tub had dried rubber on it where they evidently had some type of rubber on the bottom at one time. I finally decided to brave the shower but felt very u comfortable. The towels were old and worn. For $150 per night would have expected a little better. Wish I had taken photos
"Great people here."
Great people here. It's our home away from home. Very comfortable and clean. We would recommend this best western to anyone traveling through California. It's quiet and the location is very accessible to the 101 and I5.
"Disappointing BW Property"
I am a Best Western Loyalty Member so when traveling--typically my first go-to choice when selecting a hotel. Made the mistake of not reading reviews prior to booking an impromptu trip. The property looks nice on the exterior and the staff was very competent . The room interior, huge disappointment with road noise (and we were on the supposedly "quiet side"). The heater was loud and continually ran hot/cold--we could not use it (even for white noise). The shower had mold and the toilet seat was broken. The layout was "all bed"--closet was a joke. Won't even talk about the breakfast.....not the caliber of Best Western we expected.
"Best Western Hotel‘s are always a good value."
Nice accommodations. Everything is presentable and clean. The showers are wonderful, parking is plentiful and the food was very nourishing and beautifully presented. In this hotel, I thought that the dining facilities were lacking in space.
"Good Value"
Stayed 5 nights over Thanksgiving. Room was clean, bed comfortable, parked outside door, it was relatvely quiet. It was a traditional slightly older style but reasonable place. My stay was uneventful and I consider it a good value in Hollister.
"Quiet and clean"
Nothing fancy but it's clean and quiet. It wasn't very busy when we were here. Breakfast was great. Waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage and cereals. The staff was friendly. Great location if you are planning on visiting Pinnacles National Park.
"Bring your own pillows"
Very clean and nice place to stay. Clean pool, with a BBQ. No hot tub. Breakfast is free. Toast, waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, (best pre cooked eggs I've ever had).. all the juices and other stuff you see at the free breakfast buffets. The problem... and it's a big one for me. The bed comes with 4 of the tiniest pillows you have ever seen. If you hold your head completely still, your fine. If you roll over, one way or the other, your head will fall off of it. Putting 2 together does nothing, obviously.. unless you like to sleep in the crack between 2 pillows. Bring your own pillows, and you should be fine. Staff was very friendly and helpful, also my room was very clean.
"Absolutely recommend"
The staff was amazing from the time I called to book the reservation to the time I checked out. I did not encounter any problems at all and my accommodations were all provided. I really appreciate the staff and will be back soon.
"Sure Stay Best Western Hollister"
Upstairs is a whole different experience than downstairs. They placed me downstairs in the rear with no nearby parking--very scary for a woman traveling alone, and my reservation asked for a quiet upstairs room. Bed very comfortable, neighbors out of control, family took over waffle maker in morning, glad for the banana and mini-muffin. Overall, did not feel safe due to assigned location and car being parked far away.
"My stay could have been better for the price"
it was ok. staff could do better. there were spiders. one bit my daughter on her face, and another bit my eldest daughter on her leg. they had allergic reactions. they should offer up more info on the restaurants in town. the coffee machine in the room didn't work and the a/c was barely felt. the cleaning staff seemed to want to ignore the me and the check in staff was falling asleep when I got there. Check in was not smooth and he seemed no to know his way around.

Dear sapphireraquel81, Thank you letting me know of your current stay. My apologies for failing to deliver an exceptional stay. I do want to assure you that since the hotel is surrounded by farming lands we do have an outside pest control company that comes in once a month to spray our rooms and the exterior of the building. I will also review your concerns with the check in staff to make sure they are doing their job as proficiently as possible. I will talk to my maintenance regarding the ac unit and the coffee maker and make sure they are operating optimally. We will make sure this types of issues are better handled.
"Little tiny floor plans, but it works "
This hotel is a small version of a standard Best Western hotel. All of the spaces are small: lobby, breakfast area, rooms, bathrooms, but they all have the standard furniture, so there's not a lot of extra floor space anywhere. But it works! The rooms were clean (though we noticed a small space under the exterior door, and a spider on the way out*). The breakfast was OK, and the staff were OK. If you're staying just one night, this is all you need, right? For the price, a reasonable place to stay. *We were on the way out, not the spider.
"Nice and Clean"
Great place to stay! The price is reasonable, the breakfast is good and the dining area is perfectly maintained, with meat and eggs, not just carbs, and the rooms are super clean and new looking. Bathroom was spotless. I would highly recommend this place if you are going to the coast, and don't mind staying inland a short ways. We went to Moss Landing for the day and Gilroy Gardens in the morning and this place is right inbetween the two. My kids loved it.
"1 night during US Open"
Stayed here for i night during US Open at Pebble Beach. Pricing was great compared to hotel prices closer in to Monterey. Hollister is about 50 minute drive to where the volunteer parking was located.
"Horrible service"
The front desk lady was absolutely horrible at her job! She had very poor customer service skills, zero people skills, and was lacking in training as to everyday operations within her own hotel! Came here for a relaxing getaway on my Best Western rewards points with my family and the second we get to the room I started recieving phone calls. "Sir you dont have enough points for the room, I need you to exit the room immediately and come to the office". What is this middle school? Am I in trouble? Are you serious??? I told her I would call Best Western Reservations and do her job for her because obviously she made a mistake. After I told her let me call Reservations and hung up she immediately called the room back 3 seperate times in the matter of 5 seconds apart demanding us to exit the room! This is outrageous! My stress level and frustration was rising! Finally my girlfriend was able to calm her down enough and allow me to have a conversation with Reservations. They explained to me, "No Sir do not exit the room, I ll call her right now, please hold the line". After a minute Reservations gets back on the phone with me and apologized for her behavior. But, you have to understand, people work very hard 365 days a year at 5 days 40+ hours a week, out of that time we are only allotted 2 weeks vacation time. In the hospitality industry you have to understand this! So the very limited time that we choose use our vacation time we get treated like this?? Jamming me up and demanding me to exit a room that I spent hundreds of dollars in rewards points and earned night stays??? You going to demand me out of the hotel room I payed for with my hard earned money? On top of all this we never recieved our gift bag for rewards members that was promised to us! The truly most unsettling part of all this was the lady at the front desk never even called back to apologize for her hostile behavior towards us! I felt threatened when she kept calling and demanding we exit the room immediately! This was the worst experience I have EVER had at a best western hotel.. This is also my first stay at Sure Stay BW, maybe they have differernt requirements to be part of the BW family, or the lack thereof.

"Ok"
Couldn't get the internet to work and they forgot our wake-up call. Clean rooms. Didn't like signing for a $100 room security deposit.... that shouldn't be necessary since they have our credit card info.
"Good, clean accomodation"
We stayed two nights and we slept well. The room was clean, towels and sheets clean and soft. While this isn't a luxury hotel, it was a great motel that takes care of it's property and rooms. Plenty of hot water for showers, breakfast provided was much nicer and varied than many free breakfasts. We will stay again!

"Very Disappointed "
Stayed here last night. I booked this hotel over another cheaper but otherwise equivalent hotel without a pool because the Sure Stay had a pool and I wanted the opportunity to take my kid swimming. When we checked in, we were told the pool was out of order for repairs or seasonal. The woman at the front desk couldn't really decide why we couldn't use the pool, just that we couldn't. This immediately tainted my view of the hotel. We then go to the room and it smells like someone has used a ton of cleaner to try and hide a bad smell; but rather than getting rid of the smell it now just has the bad smell plus chemicals. The smell may have been old cigarette smell but the room was non-smoking so I would hope that wasn't the case. Other than smelling bad the room was otherwise clean, which is why I gave the hotel two stars. The location is around nothing interesting and the view is depressing, but it is Hollister, so it is more or less what you might expect. I didn't try the breakfast. I slept poorly and by the time time morning came I just wanted to get out of the hotel.

"Very nice stay"
We had stayed here a couple years before so we hit them up again. Nice comfortable and clean room. Even though it is on the highway the road noise was minimal, and our room faced the road. Plus, everybody had left by the time we woke up (parking lot on our side full) and we heard nothing. Excellent breakfast, very nice eggs and sausage. Staff was friendly, too.
"Best Stay"
This was one of the best experiences we've ever had. Clean, updated rooms and friendly staff, approachable owner. I had fallen during our last visit and wouldn't stay here again under a previous owner and then was placed in a much older area of the previous ownership. We wouldn't stay here under that owner. Very pleased with this visit.

We have stayed at this hotel many times our last trip the hotel was in the process of changing over to a surestay hotel they did everything to help us with reservations this hotel is clean quite and friendly
"my trips to Hollister"
I normally have to take several trips to Hollister for the occasional meeting. inspections and or to visit with family. since finding this particular hotel why it was called the bay mount I've stayed here numerous times. each stay has been a pleasant one, rooms were clean and comfy, there is a grill in the pool area in which guests can use to cook homemade meals Instead of having to eat out. close enough to Gilroy ca so u can easily avoid the traffic headaches and with enough local shops close by to make life easy. also u r close to the Hollister hills should u enjoy the 4 wheel atmosphere.
"Spent 2nd night at the Fairfield in Hollister."
Room was tight/small. Bed was not comfortable. Definitely needed touch up paint in room. Carpet did not seem clean. Cement walkways were stained pretty badly. Generally the facility was under maintained.
"Great value for the price ."
Had a to stay at this hotel for a few weeks and had a great experience. After staying in a motel for a few nights I can say this was an upgrade. Great value for the price. Room was warm and comfortabnle and slept good . That was all I needed. The fact that they served good breakfast was extra.
"Excellent stay, outstanding value"
An excellent, clean, new room with a great tv and wi-fi. A bit off the beaten path, but worth an extra ten miles of driving for a great room at a great price. Not much nearby but a good night's rest. Great value.

"A Comfortable Stay"
This hotel is right on the corner of a highway and a busy main street. But, the noise couldn't be heard inside our room which was almost on the corner of the hotel at the intersection. Girls were so great and friendly. We would stay here again for sure. Priced right from TripAdvisor also.
"Lovely, quiet place a 1/2 hour drive to the ocean"
We stayed overnight there on our way to Monterey Bay, CA. Was immaculate, quiet and peaceful. Has a lovely pool and very comfortable rooms. Would definitely recommend this hotel! Nearby restaurants, highways, pretty much anything you would like without the hustle and bustle of big city life.

"Nice stay"
Stayed on our way back from Yosemite to San Francisco. Check-in went great room was nice. The next morning the hot water was out but they did refund half the room cost which was great. Breakfast is awesome and was kept very well-stocked.
"Good accomodations at a good price"
Not alot around the property, but it's quite nice, extremely clean, and very quiet. Just a few miles from downtown and the friendly staff had great suggestions for dinner options. The only disappointment was the size of the breakfast area - so small that it got crowded and was almost impossible to get to all of the food options.
