Hotel is old school motor lodge but has been refurbished. Nice pool and lawn area in center court. Enjoy the yummy breakfast with make your own waffles out on the terrace.
Worst hotel ever! Do not stay here! Find another hotel. I would not let my dog stay here. Stay away!
Over $1000,00 in tools stolen from my truck while parked in front of room 150. I knew they would have cameras so thought we might get a license number or at least a picture of the vehicle. The desk person took my email and phone number and said the owner would review the cameras and contact me. No contact after three days. I called several more times with no contact. Is this how they show excellent communication and experienced support?
Have stayed at this location before but clearly either different owners or management has taken over as it feels unkept and dirty. Even the restaurant has that feeling like it is 20 years past its prime and going downhill fast. Woke up at 130am with the sound of a mouse going through the trash can in the room and then when I got up to investigate you could hear it running along the wall back to safety. There was no point in even reporting it to the front desk as they were rude and not friendly when we checked in. I packed up as just left. You could tell the management is the type to not care or even help because rodents are not a big deal in there country of origin. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time staying here. Keep drivng.
Hello, My familiy and I traveled in April 2024 and stayed here and it is what you would expect at a Best Western. Hotel was clean, staff friendly, and services available. Our room was clean, everything was in working order, the grounds were well maintained. Thank you
Thank you for your accommodation My husband needed to travel and I was easily able to book him a wonderful room
We spent one night at Andersen's Inn on our way from Yosemite National Park. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakast offered a limited choice, but all in all, it was good. The only minor issue was that there was no toilet brush in the bathroom. Overall, we would definitely recommended it for a short stay.
My wife and I were given only two towels. We used them once we arrived. I asked for more and the rude manager gave me one more with a nasty attitude!
If you need a place to sleep while traveling Highway 5 this place is clean, cheap but a little noisy with the highway and a large truck stop next door. Lots of highway construction workers stay here. Breakfast is the typical Best Western mix of processed hot food, cereal, yogurt. It was a good value at $100.
[verse 1] You driving on out, southbound on i-5, stop on the route, I'm telling you why: Santa Nella stay in this town. [verse 2] the building consists of floors number twice, decor layout its tudor style nice. Santa Nella best western town. [bridge] The bed in which you're sleepin', plush comfy when you wake, the courtyard via sliding door, homey feel lounge chairs and bake [verse 3] and sweat sun bathe out, in courtyard pool lay, walk, not far out, pea soup is close by: Santa Nella anderens town.
Stopped here for the night after a long day of traveling. Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff members we had contact with were pleasant and helpful. The room taste was very good and breakfast was included. We'll stop again at Best Western Andersen's Inn on our annual travels up and down I-5.
I have no complaints staff is great food is excellent lots of parking especially for commercial vehicles rooms always stocked with lots of clean towels pool well maintained and I have never had any problems with theft Feel safe during my stay.
Everything was great the girls at the front desk were great. They help me out, the breakfast was always hot and great. The rooms were nice and comfortable the beds were soft, the room were clean and it was next to a nice restaurant
A wonderful value for the location. Convenient when traveling I-5 or 152/156. Just a few feet from Pea Soup Andersen's (yum!) and multiple options for refueling. Hot continental breakfast is included and by far one if the best we've had anywhere in quite some time. While other hotels are raising prices or not including breakfast any longer, Best Western remains committed. If you have any issues, talk to the helpful people at the front desk and they will take care of you.
I was a little worried about noise as our front door faced I-5. It wasn't a problem though. Everything inside the room felt fresh and clean. Outside was a little bit dingy but it didn't feel unsafe I would stay here again.
Quaint set up, with sliding glass doors, and a chair to sit outside. Staff very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Few needed repairs here and there, but overall nice place to stop, and next door to the Anderson Restuarant , with their infamous, split pea soup.
First let me say that we have been traveling up and down the west coast as we plan to move to Southern California to be closer to family as we age. On the whole, hotels and motels are simply not what they use to be, but some are significantly worse than others, and Best Western seems to have fallen the farthest. This particular hotel is dirty, the carpet is damp, and when I tried to shower, the hand held shower fell apart. I tried calling the main desk, and no one answered for over 10 minutes. I them called the outside line, as if to make a reservation, and explained what was going on, the woman who replied was angry at me for using their outside line. However, a very nice maintenance man showed up and replaced the defective hand held shower. This is so common among Best western hotels, w will never make another reservation at one.
The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. Check in is supposed to be at 3 o'clock but she told me it might be ready by 330 and maybe not until 5. If you've ever been to Santa Nella you know there is nothing to do. I ended up getting in my car and driving another 100 miles and staying in a nice motel in Williams. Don't waste your time at Pea Suop Anderson.in Santa Nella
My family and I had four rooms. Nice ambience would stay there again. hot weather and nice cool rooms. Lots of fast food in the area. We went to the mission hotel restaurant. Outstanding food there would recommend also
Everything was great. The room was spacious and comfortable. It had all the amenities anyone could want. And, oh that breakfast the next morning. The food was hot. The variety gave lots of choices. Even waffle machines for fresh hot waffles.
Great location, stayed on the backend of the hotel closest to the freeway, did not even hear the noise from the traffic on the freeway. Breakfast was warm and had a few options such as eggs and sausage or waffles
Absolutely filthy! Needs updating. Popcorn ceilings? Really!!! The franchise owner needs to invest in cleaning products and upgrades. Great location, but when traveling back, I'll avoid this place. Disappointed
The staff was awesome. I do want to give a shout-out to Sebastian, thank you for making our experience great. Coming into the dining area seeing you @ the front desk with a welcoming morning smile is all someone need to start their day...no words just a smile says it all. :) ******* You Rock! As for breakfast, I would like the option to have sausage links or patty sausage. Myself I like the links, due medical I can't have a lot of spicy foods..when they sever diced potatoes they have a little kick to them like the patty sausage :( At other "Best Western" they server both regular / with spice. I hope this site would considering serving both.
Accommodations are pleasant. Front desk staff is nice. Manager... is nonexistaent? I was chagred twice for a one night stay 2 weeks ago. BW corporate cannot help, only the on-site manger... who is. Never. On-site. Not great for business when even BW corporate cannot get a hold of the manager. Split pea soup is great but I'll stay elsewhere the street next season and recommend travelers do the same.
A Comfortable nice sized room, GREAT shower. And the best continental breakfast I have ever had. A great cook provided very tasty food, It was well seasoned. Easy to get in and out of the parking lot even if you have a large vehicle. Plenty of outside lighting on the grounds at night so even a single woman was not worried.
I'm sure the health department would condemn this hotel. The room had mold, all the corners were dirty, the floor and carpet were dirty. It was next to a truck stop. Access to the highway was very good. The breakfast was good and the area clean.
We stayed in pet friendly room and it was terrible, they need to wash all bedding not just sheets and the carpet needs to be shampooed super bad. The sink needs the filter cleaned as every time you turned it on it sprays a steady stream out onto counters and floor.
I first stayed at this location almost 30 years ago. Both the motel and the great restaurant across the street look somewhat dingey and old from the outside. However the motel room was nicely updated and had great internet. I was able to do video conference at work. I also LOVE the sliders that open onto the courtyard. They lock securely and it is so nice to have fresh air. Staff were helpful, breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. HVAC was a bit noisy but tolerable.
This place is a disaster! Arrived in the dark, spent over an hour trying to find our room. Four buildings, absolutely no signs or lights indicating room numbers. Desk clerk was disinterested in helping us find it. Room was tired, shabby & needed a good clean & makeover. A glorified truck stop complete with pot smoking construction workers next door. We are fondly referring to it as The Worst Western! Breakfast looked awful so we gave it a pass. Oh, & best of all, we both woke up with dozens of bites all over our backs! Truly surprised that this place continues to carry the Best Western name especially considering the dozens of bad reviews over the past few years! Do yourself a favour & avoid this “Inn”.
We stayed in this hotel while driving to our home in Chico, Ca. The outside temperature when we arrived was 107 degrees. Even though the hotel was booked, they had not turned on the air conditioner. We turned on the AC, but the room temperature was never comfortable. My wife and I got no sleep because of the heat. I tried to call the front desk to get a room fan, but nobody answered the phone. The staff was friendly, but the breakfast was mediocre. I won't stay there again.
I decided to stay on I-5 rather than continuing south on highway 99 when I got to Sacramento since there was a member hotel in Santa Nella. Good choice. Excellent customer service. Large clean room with sliding patio door onto central courtyard. Everything in working order. Nice complimentary soaps/shampoo and very clean bathroom. Due to diet restrictions I travel with own food so cannot comment on the breakfast. On my next trip I plan to stay here again.
Have been staying here for 30 years. Very relaxing here with an outside patio. Anderson's Pea Soup Restaurant right next door. Staff is super fantastic! Definitely will be back ! I highly recommend this hotel when on your way to Southern California or San Francisco area or East!
Always a good stop for me coming and going from Oregon to California or California to Oregon, The girls at the front desk are always very friendly and accommodating, The rooms are well kept and clean everything is always in working order, plenty of restaurants to pick from to eat and gas stations are conveniently located
This is a great stop. The finish on the inside of rooms and courtyard with pool is not reflected in the curb appeal. We were pleasantly surprised. I will keep this as a favorite place to stop on my trips.
Perfect spot to take a night to rest off I5. Located right by Andersons Pea soup and lots of Tesla super chargers. Stopped with our dog and super charged our model Y well getting ready. Everything was clean and staff is friendly
The price is the highest in Santa Nella. Employees showed that excellence, and level of courtesy and service were spot on. However the room looked very unextraordinary, plain and the A/C reminded me of the cheap motel units. Bath room was cheap at best, although mini fridge and single cup coffee maker were ok. No ice machine on 2nd floor big inconvenience. View was nice over garden. At double the rate of neighboring hotels I am going to give them a try next time. If the room with the King was for 79 per night it would be passable barely but at double that....well the staff was epic so I will tread lightly.
We came to Santa Nella specifically to go to Pea Soup Andersen's, one of our favorite restaurants. We stayed right next door at Best Western. The rooms are spacious and clean and so convenient to the restaurant and many other places. We had our dog with us and the grass was literally steps away from our sliding glass door, so it was so easy to maintain our dog. Donna Welch and Paula were so nice and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again! Can't wait to go back!
The staff is great everyone fron the desk staff to the servers and even the maintenance man was very polite. Rooms are medium sized furnished well and clean also the sliding glass doors to the courtyard is nice.
The hotel is a good midway stop on the I-5. It is right next to an array or Tesla superchargers. Breakfast is excellent and service is tentative. However rooms are quite old and desperately needs freshening up. The HVAC unit did not work in our first room so the clerk immediately moved up to a different room. However the HVAC in this room makes some noise as if some small debris was clanking lose in it. There are 2 USB plugs but both did not work. Overall, this hotel has a Motel 6 feel in term of room quality and a standard Best Western breakfast and setvice.
Make sure to use your discount from the hotel when have the delicious pes soup at Anderson's just steps away. The room had a sliding door to the courtyard and pool area. Avery pretty setting after a long drive up the coast.
During the Ren Faire we always stay here. Just a 20 min drive to and from the faire (Casa de Fruta). Always enjoy eating at Pea Soup Andersen's. Yummo! Rooms are comfortable and fairly priced. Nothing fancy but a comfortable night's sleep. Can be noisy with Hwy 5 and a truck stop nearby. We have never had a problem with noise. Staff is helpful and friendly. Good location off the Hwy 5. Thanks BWA!
Perfectly placed stop off if your traveling between LA and San Francisco. No frills but clean and secure.Food options vary from fast food to a restaurant within walking distance. Primarily a truck stop but accommodates the regular traveller.
The hotel is one of very few options in the area unfortunately, especially that allows for pets. The hotel itself isn't terrible. The rooms are not the most updated and I had some issues with cleanliness. The area is loud due to truck stops next door. The pool area is locked and you cannot get in unless you ask for the front desk to unlock it for you. And the front desk clerk upon checkin was the most unprofessional hotel staff I have ever dealt with. She degraded my father who was trying to check in before me, used very unprofessional language, was not helpful or efficient or mindful of other people's time at all. I have never had such a hard time getting ahold of someone at the front desk of a hotel. If I have any choice at all in the future I will try to avoid this hotel, but like I said there are not many options.
I stay here once a week, the hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet, the front desk and maid service are excellent. The restaurant next door (Anderson's split pea) is excellent and a short walk across the parking lot.
Understand that this is a older hotel and shows some ware, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. The air conditioning kept breaking cooling now and then and they were unable to repair but did offer a discount for my inconvenience at check out. The breakfast was adequate, but very limited on selection.
This is a truck stop - And a cat litter box. Don't stay here. Dirty rooms. Trucks everywhere. No places to park. The whole place smells like a cat litter box. Totally gross. Staff is nice but the cleaning lady walked right into my room at 9 a.m. without knocking and I was not dressed. We were also awakened by a truck repair that sounded like a jack hammer at the repair shop next door at 5 a.m. Really just a horrible stay overall.
Have stayed here at least three other times. It's a nice location on our way from Washington state to Los Angeles area. Love the patio and pool area. The breakfast could be upgraded a little more now that the pandemic is almost over. The breakfast items were pretty dry. The beds are comfortable the pillows are comfortable and the overall Quality of the room is great. The restaurant next-door is Anderson Split Pea Soup Restaurant and it is fantastic.Would definitely stay there again.
Great Hotel the staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are updated and beds are comfortable. Wonderful experience I always recommend this hotel to my coworkers and fellow truck drivers. Plenty of places to eat nearby in walking distance.
The exterior of the hotel is very attractive. The hotel has a center garden that's very nice, and there's a pool (which we didn't use during our stay). The two workers we encountered checking in and out were both very friendly and warm. The location right off the I-5 is very convenient and, despite its location, it was very quiet. There's a Love's gas station, Del Taco, and Wendy's right next to it, so food and drink are easy to get ahold of. My only issue is that the pillows were quite lumpy. I can't fault this location, though, because I've experienced that at every Best Western I've been to.
I always enjoy staying in Santa Nella. Company makes me stay there under their contract and it's always an enjoyable experience. No complaints. Quiet, friendly staff. Always parking for my big rig. Pea soup Anderson's to eat. Who could complain.
Rooms were very comfortable and the beds were amazing. Clean and spacious rooms for a road side hotel. There were traffic sounds but the beds were so comfortable we slept so well. The grounds were well appointed but we didn't stay long. Light breakfast provided
I travel a lot going between northern and Southern California and usually stay here once a month. They are consistently clean and friendly. The room decor is nice and showers are perfect! The beds are comfortable and hotel is easy to find.
Ice machine was broken, 4 packets of coffee in the room, ALL of them decaf. Building needs repairs. Not kept up. Room was clean enough, spacious, and staff was very friendly. Value for the price was NOT good.
We checked in around 8:30 in the evening for a one night stay on our was to Southern California. The room seemed dirty and we wiped everything down before going to sleep. In the morning, my wife noticed the mattress cover had come untucked. When she looked more closely, she discovered human excrement and either makeup or blood on the side of the cover! We immediately checked out and shared pictures of the mattress cover with staff. They offered a $10 discount! When I mentioned contacting county health, the manager agreed to comp our room. How generous! Needless to say, we will never return. Adding insult to injury, I have e-mailed Best Western several times to complain. They have responded in a way that seems computer generated or reading from a script. Their final offer was to give us bonus points on our Best Western account. They claimed they couldn't do any mor than that. I had suggested a free weekend at a better property would be fair compensation for an ugly experience that compromised our health. They refused. The individual hotel was supposed to contact me within 5 days to respond. It has been over two weeks and no response. Thoroughly disappointed in Andersen's Inn and Best Western corporation.
The room, lobby and grounds were kept very clean and manicured. The room I stayed was large and had a sliding door to a walk out balcony over looking the pool and grounds with a chair. It was nice to relax in the morning sun. Oh ya almost forgot it's connected to Andersons pea soup restaurant. The famous one. 10% off
Built around a large courtyard with a nice pool, this place is very comfortable and convenient. We didn't eat at Andersen's as the wait was long and there was a big crowd. The gift shop is huge and worth seeing and this is just across the street from the hotel. The staff at the hotel was GREAT!! They provided a nice little breakfast bag to go.
Am a big fan of the Best Western brand, and Andersen's Inn didn't disappoint. They opened the pool and monitored it so there weren't too many folks due to the Corona virus. Very nice check in, nice goodie bag in lieu of breakfast, and even was able to have a giant bowl of delicious world famous pea soup for dinner. Scored five out of five in my book for sure!
We've stayed here 3 times in the past 2 years and each time we have been pleased with the comfort, cleanliness and friendliness of staff. It is easy to find from the freeway. We count on it being safe, secure and comfortable.
We have stayed at this Best Western several times. The pool and yard are always very nice.. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Try to get a room on the back side, because the trucks are a little noisy.
Refrigerator still had contents from the previous guests. When I took it to the office all they said was thank you. I asked if the rest of the room had been cleaned - yes I think so!! The furniture around the pool and grassy area were very 'old'. Trying to figure out the wifi password was interesting as some numbers looked like letters and vise versa - another trip to the office. This property has not seen an upgrade for many years. Stayed here a number of times but never again.
We picked this location because of its closeness to Pea Soup Andersen's and the I 5 freeway. Also, it is the halfway mark of our trip. The receptionist was very helpful in getting us checked in. Thank you
Have stayed here many times. Clean and well presented. Good operator. Would recommend this hotel. There is a very good restaurant next door. Good food and good service. A bit of a trip back in restaurant time. Reasonable prices.
Comfortable room with a refrigerator and the normal room appointments. I liked the rooms on the first floor open to a small patio and the pool area. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was ok. Liked the waffles!
Hotel service was very nice and the location off of the freeway is very convenient. The price is reasonable for the area. I would stay here again in traveling again to California. The exterior needs soime work but the inside of the rooms is very nice.
The room was clean, the staff friendly. It is an older place and depending on the room there could be noise from the freeway as it is right next to it. I did hear freeway noise, but no noise from the trucks that park there like other reviews have noted. Everything in the room was fine except the towels which were pretty rough. Not thin and worn, but obviously laundered many times. The bed was comfortable. It was within walking distance of Anderson's Pea Soup Restaurant which I went to for breakfast instead of the free breakfast at the Inn. Would I stay here again? Probabaly.
Safe feeling hotel in the middle of nowhere on the long Highway 5 drive. The breakfast was well below par for Best Western. The bacon was the see through, thin, greasy stuff. The potatoes were unrecognizable as actual potatoes. The eggs were as basic as can be, but tasted like eggs No forks! The three people at desk were too busy looking at each other,s phone pics, Spoons worked ok
The hotel price was excellent. The room was decent as in clean, but could use a little updating. My main reason for stopping here was for a good nights rest and the location, right off of I-5 was ideal.
Do not stay here. I stayed at this hotel 01/30/19. This hotel is next to a major trucker stop and truckers park all over next to it. I've stayed here before and it was ok. This time it was not. I received a Best Western gift card which I could only use if I walked in and reserved a room. I went on their site before I walked in to see if they had a king bed available which they did. I then walked in the office to reserve the room. The lady working said that she only had single beds left. I told her I would have to check with my husband. I went back out to our truck and went on their site and reserved a king bed room. When I went back in the office to get the room I told her I had one reserved. She replied of course you do. She then pulled up my room and said oh a king bed well the computer doesn't know that I don't have one available. She then tells me that she has 15 reservations besides me. She then says to me that she knows the person who has a king bed so she can just switch them to another room. That is when I realized that she is holding rooms for truckers, and they are getting priority. Then I flashback to the last time I stayed there which was last week. At six in the morning I heard high heels in the room above us and as I am experiencing all this I am immediately thinking that this place is running a whorehouse for these truckers. Besides this horrible experience with getting the room, the room was dingy, didn't have enough coffee or soap. There was Kleenex shoved into the peephole that some crackhead probably did who stayed in the room before us. The next morning I went to get the continental breakfast and there was hair in the bowls from the workers.
This place is a dump! It should change its name to Worst Western. The sheets are see through and the pillows are lumpy, the decor is SAD and the whole place looks like a warehouse. We arrived at night and couldn't tell very well until morning. AND it is $100+. Breakfast is mediocre and they weren't ready! There was coffee debris on the floor from a previous guest including the stir stick. Doesn't make you feel very comfortable about what the bed might be like. Old bath tub with a shower that barely worked. Towels were thin.
This is a sprawling property associated with, and near the iconic and great Pea Soup Andersen's restaurant off the I-5. Check-in staff were friendly and helpful and fast. The room itself is large with a nice balcony...but the furnishings felt tired and worn-out, and the bathroom in particular should probably be completely re-done, it was the kind of thing where no amount of cleaning can make it feel truly clean, it's just too old. The bed was comfortable. Parking was easy. Though I would stay there again, I do feel that this property is at a crossroads, and I hope they choose to renovate rather than let it continue its decline.
The worst!....I was moving driving a 26ft Uhaul. Checked in around midnight. Got in the room after unpacking found out no sink water or shower. I was told it was my fault. Asked for a discount, I was offered a 20% off and they ended up charging me $380.00 for 1 night. Wasnt even there 10 hours. I had to have AM EX dispute the charge. Its a truck stop.
Room was nice. Newly remodeled. Very clean. Good rate. Plenty of parking. I would stay here again. Beds very comfy. There is some construction going on in lobby but other than that didn't have any problems.
This was my first time staying at the Best Western in Santa Nella and now it will be my regular stop over duing my travels. The room was spacious and clean. I liked the courtyard layout. The iconic Anderson's Split Pea Spup restaurant is right next door.
We stopped here for the night on our way to visit family for Thanksgiving. My 11 year old made a request to stay here again on the trip back home. First room had a few issues. Err message on the thermostat. Went to the office and Alice came and fixed the issue. Batteries were loose. I did point out to her that the USB ports were loose and not working. Breakfast was fine. One thing I noticed was the solar panels. Great! But they are also using the single use plastic shampoo, conditioner bottles. I've stayed at other Best Western's that have the refillable kind attached to the shower wall. On our way back, Alice recognized us at check in and remembered we like a ground floor room. Room was great. Thermostat worked, USB ports worked. I went to take a shower and could not get it on. Again I reach out to Alice, who came right over and got it working. I felt silly. I had not pulled it out far enough. Keep Alice and give her a raise. She is a perfect example of customer service.
The hotel has many options for dinner. There is the pea soup Andersons not to mention many different choices within 3 minutes in any direction. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Their maintenance staff were on the spot when my lamp and TV went out. They went out of their way to make it right. The font desk staff especially Allison were awesome in getting me checked in quickly and had tremendous patience when my room items did not work. 5 stars.
Checked in to my reserved room, and went in to use the restroom. I found a large towel casually thrown over the shower rod. No way any housekeeper would be this careless...then went to go wash my hands, and tossed the little soap wrapper in the trash. It was then that I noticed the other soap wrapper in there along with other trash. I thought that was odd. At that point I went back down to the front desk and told the nice clerk what I found. She seemed puzzled but did move me. This property is pretty clean over all.....maybe a bit of updating would be nice.
SKIP THIS PLACE if at all possible. This place lacks cleanliness and friendliness. This is exactly why I prefer to camp or travel in my van conversion than stay in a unfriendly, dirty place. The room (refer to images) had bloody boogers on the walls (yes walls) the door handle and door had dirty fingerprints all over, the light switch panels also had dirty finger prints, the bathroom door frame looked like it had black mold growing on on it. The room had a weird chemically smell to it yet obviously has never seen a good cleaning. If you're sensitive to aromatics then skip this place. Summer the “manager” checked us in and she was there when we checked out. Both interactions with this person were not pleasant. She argued with us this morning that she told us that breakfast was from 6-9 when last night upon checking in she CLEARLY said until 10am. Then again it's a blessing we missed breakfast, considering how filthy the room was, I would not doubt the kitchen is also filthy. It's apparent that Summer needs more time off, go back into training and learn customer service, how to greet folks and it wouldn't hurt to smile. She is is sad face to have represent this establishment. I will never stay here I would rather drive straight through this odd smelling town and crappy hotel. The only positive experience of this stay was the working WiFi and the nice maintenance man who came to fix the broken TV last night. Visit Yelp business page to see the images, it's taken too long to upload the images.
Stayed here overnight on our way to Oregon. Rooms are large and look recently updated. We had a room on the first floor and were able to park in front of our door, which is always a plus. A nice feature of the room is a sliding glass door that leads to the garden/pool area. Check-in was also easy, and the front desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again!
Great stay. Clean and front desk people kind. I was in between the high winds and fires, but definitely this will be a new stoppage for long journey drives. Thank you for the quickness accommodate and very quiet.
Room was clean and comfortable. Very large with two chairs so we could sit and watch TV. Everything looked fairly new so it must have been remodeled recently. We were expecting a continental breakfast but we got scrambled eggs and bacon too. The serving area was well stocked and appetizing. The staff were all friendly and helpful. If you are traveling on Interstate 5, their location is easily accessible. Very quiet rooms (you don't hear the road noise). In every regard they exceeded our expectations and we will be back.
Nice clean hotel for the location, high speed internet was great, internet I've used at a hotel. Rooms are very spacious, breakfast can you can use a little improvement, but can't ask for much more for the price.
To begin with, we booked here because the one in Los Banos was booked. The room seemed ok but had a lot of air freshener. We asked to have room service every day... they did not clean the first day we asked housekeeping for fresh towels. The second day I told the housekeeping we were leaving so she could do our room. Returned to it had not been done again I went to the front desk told them about it they said will get them rite over. I was gone for several hours to return again nothing was done. I went to the front desk again asked to at least get fresh towels she said I will bring them to you. 3 hrs later I go back to the front desk they tell me sorry and gave me 3 towels she said that's all I have. Poor customer service I will not return.
quiet and close to bay area 80 miles nice food and booze next door temp control in room worked great some cats near pool to watch nice TV with lots of channels friendly staff free breakfast starts 6 am and had warm and cold food
Overall average. Check-in slow, desk person flustered and abrupt. Resurfacing parking lot made access to front desk very difficult. Room needed a thorough detailing. Good breakfast and price. Limited nearby amenities.
Best Best Western! Always great service, friendly, clean, comfortable, wonderful fellow travelers. Best staff! While i always stop for one night on a long drive, I often want to stay longer. Plus it's fun to get the great soup next door. Truly pet friendly and always helpful.
Rooms were clean and this was a good place to stop for the night on a long drive. A little noisy with all of the trucks parked nearby, but would stop again. Good value and was nice to be able to walk to dinner.
We landed in a town we did not know, exhausted from the heat and the road. This Best Western was our choice. Great sleep, good breakfast, easy on & off the freeway. Good place to enjoy time with family.
The was no working water. We couldn't flush our toilet, no water to drink, no shower. I would've thought they would've offered some drinking water. Stayed there after a 5 day camping trip and couldn't take a shower. I was so bummed.
This was a regular road stop for trips when I was a kid. I remember visiting Andersen's Pea Soup with my grandparents and staying at this hotel a couple of times 30 years ago. Was visiting CA on a road trip with my kids recently and needed a place to stay. Staying here was a no-brainer. We usually stay in Best Westerns in general and this place has all the usual amenities. Breakfast was great, the pool was clean. Staff was very friendly. The nostalgia factor was there for me and the family really enjoyed their stay as well.
Location is good, rooms are a little outdated but ok, breakfast was the typical scrambled eggs- bacon and pretty much anything you'd want, just nothing too special! I'm not a cigarette smoker but the one thing I really admire about this property is they have rooms for smokers, and pets; most hotels nowadays are very discriminating! It's nice to have a place that welcomes diversity!
I love seeing the rare hotel with serious amounts of solar panels. It's a no-brainer for hotels to invest in solar. Best part it helps save the planet for our children. Beds are comfortable. Our room really clean. Very friendly staff. Decent hot breakfast.
Always clean comfortable rooms with bedside and desk USB ports. Nice pool area. Plenty of dining options close by. Easy on and off freeway. Adequate RV, truck and auto parking. Centrally located in the State.
Great place to stop and recharge your batteries on a long road trip. Good dining close by. Excellent and friendly staff. The rooms are a little on the older side, bathrooms could us a face lift, but over all a fair value
Friendly staff, easy location of freeway. Rooms need some updating especially compared to other Best Western locations I've been too. Has nice little courtyard setting and clean pool. Overall good spot to get some sleep before getting back on the road
I stayed here for business and everything about the hotel seemed nice. The price was right, the room seemed clean, nothing out of the ordinary. That was until I saw that someone who stayed there before me left a crack pipe on the balcony. I instantly started to question who or what might have been in that room before me and how clean it actually was. I most likely won't be staying here again. It's a shame too.
I had no choice the LaQunita in Los Banos was booked. First time stay. Booked thru third party so I didn't hassle with cancelling. It was only for one night. The bed wasn't that comfortable. The fridge had alot of frost in the frozen selection so couldn't use that portion of it. Mircowave was clean. Patio didn't have any chairs like other units. My main certain was the smell I had to spray my perfume and put tissues in my nose to avoid the smell. I told the front desk when asked how was my stay, all was said sorry for that. It's basically to me a truck stop hotel.
Came in late and had to leave early for and funeral. We were put on the side right next to the freeway and was very noisy. When we went to open the door to go out to get our bags the handle came off and the door jam looked as if someone kicked in the door. When I step on the side of the bed to pull the covers back I stuck to the carpet where something has spilled.
Great ck in and out. Friendly employees. Room was comfortable ,clean, breakfast was hot n delicious. Environment was pleasant , fragrant flowers, clean. Restaurant was convenient, great service, good food. Really enjoyed the 1 night experience.
Rooms have been redone & upgraded! Service as always was wonderful!! Location and parking is perfect for me. Restaurants and trucks stops are easily accessible. Close to the freeway and easy to get in and out of in a big truck.
Stayed overnight 04/17/2019. my room 128 was good-sized, well-furnished, and spotlessly clean. the desk clerk was pleasant and efficient. it's not fancy but it has everything you need and you can get a good night's sleep in their comfortable bed with fresh crisp bedlinen. my only complaint is that the next morning at 08:00 they had a workman repairing a steel door frame 10' from my room's window. he was beating on it with a ball peen steel hammer and woke me up rudely. then he got out a grinding machine that sounded like a leaf-blower and kept me from getting back to sleep, GRRR!!! please, management, no workmen / noise before 9:00 AM! other than that, everything was fine.
I have only had one disappointing BW experience, and this wasn't it: clean room with comfortable pillows and bed, friendly staff, good breakfast--continental rather than full hot breakfast still had a couple prepped hot items--easy parking, easy walk to Pea Soup Anderson's restaurant (I don't like pea soup, but my brother loved it, and the Cobb salad was so good!), it was also easy to find off I-5.
Considering the area, this is the best place to stay. Andersen's Pea Soup restaurant is just across the parking lot and a definite plus. There a lot of big rigs in and out making it a bit noisy. The motel is older and could use a facelift.
The front desk staff was very nice to us when we checked in and it was a late check in. I was pleasantly surprised about the decor in the room. Very nice and very clean. Large enough room too. I think when they did the renovations they forgot to replace the windows and sliding doors because they let in a lot of noise from both the freeway and the semi trucks sitting idle. It wasn't enough to hinder sleep but then again I was exhausted and probably didnt care either way. I also noticed while Inwas taking a shower that when the bathroom was "updated" there was a bunch of overspray with the wall cover, the lines were no where straight and the tub and side should really have been replaced. You could really tell it was original. To boil it down, I give the main room a 5 and the bathroom a 2. If I had to stay here again I would. One other note, they did have a continental breakfast but it wasn't the best variety of food.
Sure this is an older hotel, but the renos are being done. It was clean. Reasonably quiet. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. My only complaint would be the breakfast. I went about 7:45 am and the hot food had been depleted. I chose to go with hard boiled eggs, yogurt and coffee. Sadly the yogurt was frozen. While I was in the breakfast area for about half hour, the hot food was never replenished. The young lady who was looking after the food came out of the back room once and checked the paper products. This incident would not prevent me from staying here again.
Furniture had tears, towels were threadbare, Carpet dirty and stained. Very noisy because room backed up to the truck stop. Area for breakfast was in the middle of some kind of construction and there was dust and workers everywhere.
I've stayed here many times and found the hotel adequate. It's conveniently located next to Anderson's for meals. On this trip I accidentally booked a smoking room (totally my fault). When I checked in I asked about changing and was told they were busy and couldn't change me. It was late so not likely many more new customers coming in, and I checked online and there were non-smoking rooms available. Very poor customer service. I will not likely be stopping here again on future trips north.
As I was to check out, I found out they had charged an old account, which I did not authorize them to do. I even called the police to report fraud. I did not give them permission to run that credit card. I checked I with a different card and they took money out of an account that my divorce litigation has made it clear to never use that abou account until the divorce is final. Making my freedom at risk.
Walked in the room to find hair in the bathroom and under the sink outside the bathroom. And the internet was awful! The breakfast had hot eggs n sausages but the pastries were very hard. Hard to recommend this hotel. Need to do better. What attracted us to the hotel was close dog friendly.
We stayed at this location in November 2018. It is in a convenient location for an overnight stay. This is an older facility and is noisy. On a positive note, it is clean. Andersen's Pea Soup is across the parking lot and is an added bonus.
The place is right on Interstate 5. It's clean, safe, has a nice breakfast buffet, and is associated with the Andersen's Pea Soup restaurant just across the street. It's a nice stopping place for travelers driving on Interstate 5 between northern and southern California.
Nice place to stop for the night. A bit old, but comfortable. Call ahead and reserve your room to save a few bucks. Friendly staff and a standard breakfast. 10% off coupons for the restaurant next door at the front desk..
We were so tired after all day driving, we pulled into our reserved hotel around 2am. The desk staff was attentive and got us in our room fast. Room was tidy. Beds comfy. We slept like logs. We will return.
I love the rooms are very clean everything works the breakfast was hot and good the only down side is the eating area is too small how ever they do have tables outside near the pool where you can eat also.
Looks OK from outside not at all inside . Pls and out of date furniture TV etc Carpet and drapes were not up to even poor quality.. none of the other hotels at this stop are anything but poor. Pea Soup Andersons restraint has very good food so so service.
quick and easy check in convenient restaurant with great selection of food there's a nice pool available the breakfast in the morning has do-it-yourself waffles that are fantastic don't miss the pea soup a pea soup Anderson's if you're into that kind of thing
We were on our way home Lake Tahoe and kept falling asleep so we stopped here to rest. It did the job. Comfortable bed. The room is completely outdated and needs some fixing. The doors did not lock securely. Breakfast was very average. They have a clean pool and friendly staff. Nothing special, I wouldn't stay more than a nights sleep here.
Hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful and kind. Nice hotel for a good nights rest. Nice grassy area next to pool area. The included breakfast was second to none. Conveniently located next to freeway, food, and gas .
Old School Style and Love it! Great clean rooms. Great Staff. Comfortable. And reasonably priced!! I have stayed at this location many times in the last year traveling between our So. Cal. and Oregon residents and I will be staying many more times.
This is a convenient location along I-5. The rooms were clean and quiet. Seems most or all of the rooms also open from the room via glass sliding doors onto the central courtyard area where there is a nice grassy are and where the pool is located. There is also a
We stopped here on our way to LA and introduced our kids to the famous Andersen's Split Pea Soup. The room was tired but clean... the kids enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was surprisingly good for a $99 hotel room stay! The staff was great and friendly all around! I left my iPad behind and after a few days of phone calls with them we were able to arrange for them to send it to me (at my expense). It wasn't the easiest of processes but I appreciate that they were at least willing to work with me to get it done.
We chose this hotel because it was right off the freeway and near a restaurant. The best thing I can say is that the room was clean. There is a pool, but no jacuzzi, no security (only 1 employee at the front desk) and exterior doorways. We could hear the freeway traffic from the bathroom located at the front of the room, but not where we slept. However, there was actually a breeze coming through the door - no weather stripping on the door! Breakfast was what you expect with the basics.
Traveling from Las Vegas to Napa is about a 9 1/2 hour drive. This Best Western is a nice respite on Highway 5. It is an older hotel but very clean and quiet. There is nice a patio area by the pool. The hot breakfast was a good start for us to make the rest of the trip into Napa. We enjoyed our stay even though it was brief. Good value also!
Good points: easy on off, next to Pea Soup, large clean rooms with patio. Not so good: hard mattress, hard pillows, noisy air conditioner, or noisy freeway. Support in tub came out in my hand as was using it to get out! They give a coupon good for food dicount at Pea Soup, so check in first.
Very pleasant and courteous staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Easy access to I5, restaurant and has stations. The rooms are accessed from outside. Full breakfast with several items to select from.
Great location for a stop along I-5. Clean, pet friendly, nice facility. Appears to cater to truckers with plenty of easy access parking. Plus, there is an In-N-Out just down the street! Surprisingly quiet rooms.
We stayed here not long ago, and my only real problem was the cable was really bad, In fact I mentioned in my last review how nice it would be if they got Direct T.V. So I was SUPER happy to see that when we returned they now have Direct T.V.!!!! I LOVE it! I have this at home so to have it in a Hotel room not only means good picture quality, but the familiarity of home, on the road. I can sit down and punch in 206 or 356 and relax. LOVE IT! The room we got this time was a lot nicer too. Nice big T.V. and comfortable beds. and we love the sliding glass door. Vanessa at the front desk was FANTASTIC! She was the only one there when we checked in and it was BUSY! She did an amazing job to get to everyone as quick as possible, then she was there again in the morning tending to the breakfast room and kicking butt at that! She is AWESOME! Like last time we were here we were so tired from the road we wanted something quick and easy so I got In N Out burgers, but there are plenty of options including, of course Split Pea Anderson's in the parking lot. also a Starbucks just down the road. And multiple gas options. Gas up the car, coffee up the driver! There are only a couple B.W.s right off I-5 in this area that we like, this visit put the Andersens Inn right up at the top! If your on the road around here and looking to call it a day, this is the place to stay.
Always stay here on my way north or coming back to so. Cal. They have alot of truck parking.lots of choises for food nearby.always clean and comfortable room. Decent breakfast.worth the price and the added trucker discount makes it better
Andersen's Inn is the perfect half-way place to stay when driving from San Diego area to Ashland Oregon (Southern Oregon). Not only is it an excellent Best Western with all the amenities, but as an added bonus, it's right next to Pea Soup Anderson's for your dining pleasure.
Our family has stayed at the BW Andersen's Inn twice during trips to Southern California in the last year, or so. Once for a family wedding last year, and recently on our vacation to visit Disneyland and Lego Land. Both times we were very happy with our rooms, (spacious, clean, & comfortable), the friendly customer service & helpfulness of staff, and the location to & easy access to the I5 freeway. We also love the Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant next door. Delicious, well prepared food, along with friendly staff and nice gift shop. Fuel for you vehicle right across the street.
Good stop for our grip south. Gas and room are convenient. Service at the nearby restaurant sucks. We were not ha-pea people with our server. Hardly saw him after taking our order. They offer a special and could not do it because they ran out of material to make milkshakes.
And I would like my points for all the last times I have stayed. Every time I stayb i have to call customer service to receive my points. This is rediculous I feel they should see my name in the system and give points.
This hotel was very comfortable and reasonable in price. I would highly recommend this hotel. Got in to town a little early and they where able to get my room ready within 15 minutes. Woke up early and breakfast was already ready.
We stopped here first after a long day of driving..but I never even made it past the parking lot...this motel looked very run down. Definitely not one of the newer Best Westerns. Ended up going to Hotel Mission de Toro...which was very nice..it is an older hotel but newly remodeled and very clean/allergy friendly.
The hotel location was easy to access from I-5 and also easy to re-enter the highway from the hotel. A restaurant is close by, featuring pea soup as their specialty, which was very good. As always, the Best Western room amenities made for a pleasant stay.
Rundown property badly in need of updating, very unsightly and generally junky looking exterior. Restaurant comes nowhere near the hype of its advertising. The so-called famous pea soup was OK, the rest of the meal was bland and boring.
We have been staying at this hotel while on our road trips to and from California, for years. The rooms are spacious, clean, the beds are comfortable and the complimentary breakfast is good. It includes, waffles, scrambled eggs sausage gravy and biscuits, as well as cereal, danishes, muffins, coffee, juice etc. The front desk staff are always very friendly.
The staff were friendly, room clean and comfy. Nice pool area and patio access. Enjoyed my stay very much would come back for sure. The restaurant is nice and close with good food and comfort. Second time I have stayed.
Clean. Allows pets. Smoking rooms available which is very nice. No smoke smell. Close to restaurant. Great for overnight when travelling Interstate 5. Beds comfortable. Bathrooms could be updated but the room itself was clean and decorated nicely.
We like the location with restaurant near and the service we receive at this motel. When we make reservations the room is always ready, no waiting and the personnel at the desk are always courteous and know how to take care of their customers.
i didn't expect much at the hotel because their Pea Soup Andersons restaurant is very old and very mediocre. but the hotel is Best Western so I knew it had to be okay at the very least. and it turned out to be quite nice. the room was spotlessly clean, the bed linen fresh & crisp, and the bathroom immaculate. VERY comfy bed. big work desk and good WiFi. all the good amenities, giant screen TV, fridge, microwave, iron & board, hair dryer, really nice easy chair with ottoman foot stool. will definitely stay there often in the future.
We have stayed here 3-4 times before so we know what we are getting. All we really want is an affordable room that is clean, quiet and comfortable. The good: the bed was comfortable. Good wi-fi. Breakfast was OK. As far as quiet: somehow we ended up in an adjoining room which was reasonably quiet once the neighbors went to bed and we couldn't listen to them anymore (and they weren't shouting or partying, they were just having a normal conversation). The bad: I requested a room away from pet-designated areas. Instead we had a room between 2 dogs. The explanations at the front desk were that 'they didn't tell us' and 'I didn't read that'. Who are 'they'? B/W, what is the point of having a 'special request' section in your on-line booking site if no one reads it? My main issue was with cleanliness: this room was not clean. There were visible stains on the carpet which were bad enough but as we prepared for bed my wife noticed that the bottoms of our feet were quite dirty so this carpet has not been cleaned for a while. If we were to stay here again, I would ask for a renovated room.
Excellent location just off the hwy. Restaurant food and service was outstanding at Andersen's. The rooms are dated and in need of maintenance and upgrades. Comfortable beds and an excellent pet friendly policy.
Nice, comfortable and right off I5. Large rooms and we enjoyed having the sliding glass door . We were tired from the road and didn't feel like going over to sit down to eat at Split Pea Anderson's so I just fired over to In and Out and snagged some burgers. Nice Hotel, I will say the cable was really bad and could use updating! I've noticed in this area directv is pretty common. Would be nice here. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
This hotel is pretty much on the I-5. It is clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a nice addition with choices for a healthy breakfast. This hotel is a great overnight for travellers.
I booked and Paid for a Hotel room on cocoa beach Florida. Looked Great on the Advt. I got a Motel room in a different building. Not Worth the Price. Breakfast was OK. Never will book best western again. also based on previous experiences.
In-room coffee machine not working, management refused to exchange it. Nightstand lamp wasn't working; lamp shade on another light dangled; dead bolt on door didn't lock. Notified hotel office, no effort made by management to make right or reimburse. A major positive: Great breakfast!
Great hotel for our trips from Eureka to San Diego. 1/2 way. Have stayed here many times. Most importantly, it's dog friendly. Pea Soup Anderson's restaurant is across parking lot. Food good. Room parking in front of room. Grounds well maintained. Swimming pool clean. Morning breakfast at motel very very good. Wide selection, waffles, sausage, eggs, cereal, juices, sweet rolls, bagels and great coffee.
It was an ok visit for a Best Western but very good for hotels in general. It was an older building and not as nice as most Best Westerns but it was clean and I felt safe. Breakfast was included with the room but I had breakfast next door at Pea Soup Anderson's.... really good.
Perfect half way stop for us. We were traveling to Thousand Oaks for a football game and this Best Western was a great pit stop to break up our trip to get some rest for the rest of our drive. I would highly recommend staying here
This hotel is nicely located near gas, restaurants, and other conveniences. The staff is efficient and helpful. A hot breakfast is offered but a 9:30 or even 10:00 a.m. cutoff would be helpful to road weary travelers.
The staff is very friendly and courteous and knowledgeable.I always sleep good at this hotel and prefer this over any other hotel in the area. The restaurant is excellent as well with some of the best pea soup ever.
I have stayed in this hotel countless times during my travels from San Diego to various part north (Berkeley, San Francisco and Sacramento) This hotel is at the perfect location from San Diego because it split our trip in a little over half. In addition, the pea soup is excellent. The hotel is conveniently located off the highway. Did NOT hear highway noise, must have great insulation.
I have stayed at a lot of hotels over the years and several different Best Westerns. This was the absolute worst hotel I've been to. The non smoking room reeked of smoke, the door needed a shoulder to push it open, the carpet was torn up, covered in stains and dirty. There were ants on the counter and in the beds and the overall appearance was disgusting. We arrived at midnight for a few hours of sleep before leaving the next morning and there weren't other hotels available so we stayed through the night. I would never stay again though.
The facility will remind many older travelers of their experiences on Highway 101 in Northern Santa Barbara County in Buellton. The Best Western facility itself is what one would expect and fits the bill with excellent service. The restaurant is a throw back to earlier times--in both look and food--to a long ago established place over on the coast.
We stopped here for our travel from Palm Springs northward. We travel with a small well behaved dog but no matter how well behaved, we are always assigned inferior rooms with thread-bare carpet and no view other than the back parking lot. Our room here was definitely no exception to this. Even the door handle was defective on the room entrance. The accommodations are definitely in need of some upgrading and upkeep. The morning breakfast was a bare bones layout and not up to the quality or quantity of other BW hotels. The best part of the facility is the video cameras security of the parking lot which the other hotel in the area doesn't have. Maybe other units in Andersen's are better upgraded but the pet room wasn't.
Great location off of I -5. The dog enjoyed herself. The room had this stucco paint stuff all over it though, even over the outlet which was not covered with a plate very dangerous. After a long day of driving though it was comfortable room and the breakfast was very good.
This location was convenient after a long drive on I5. The hotel is outdated and not very clean. After swatting over +5 flies in our second room ( the first room had recently been renovated and the smell of toxic chemicals was too strong), we just gave up and slept for the night.
A somewhat run down hotel across the street from Pea Soup Andersens. Truck stop on the other side (can be noisy at times). Very polite and professional staff. Good breakfast in a small breakfast room.
While it was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in, a few improvements might make it better for older adults. For instance, a hand-held shower, better overhead lighting, and a grab bar in the bath/shower. Great people, pleasant atmosphere, would stay there again.
Hotel is dated and shows it's age. Rooms are clean but need updating, add plug ins, and LED lighting. Staff was attentive and helpful. Expected better for the price. Area has many meal choices and several convenience stores.
Starting with a sliding door that was pulling away from the frame (it had a security chain on it so you could open it safely) and an entry door that was old and seriously broken up around the lock area. These set the tone for the stay. Breakfast was very limited and unappealing. Overall a bad experience in a very tired location. I raised these type of comments with Best Western in April after another bad experience at this property.
The hotel can accommodate long trucks and trailers The hotel had all the little things, but felt old and well used Could not reach the air conditioner controls without standing on a chair. The refrigerator had dents poked in it. I asked for a non adjoining room. Didn't get it.
I have always liked this Hotel as a stop on our road trip to Disneyland and I am pleased to see they are up grading and modernizing the rooms. Each room has a patio or balcony facing a nice grassy area and the swimming pool which is open year round!
I gave a 2 because they were the only hotel on sat night between them (west of Stockton) and Woodland (east of Sacramento) that was open and had rooms available at midnight. The carpet turned my socks a shade of black, the bathtub had shaving remnants, shower had no pressure, bathtub faucet was almost out of the wall and angled towards the wall, sink faucet was loose, and water was still left in the sink, I had to clean the toilet prior to use. And I was charged way above what the rate should of been. I didn't see that until I wrote this review. I believe that's enough.
A comfortable hotel, pleasant & helpful staff, OK breakfast and a nice restaurant next door. I would recommend this hotel if you are going through this area. We were given a first floor room when we requested it, which made moving in much easier for us. Were also given directions to a nice church to go to. A good experience on our trip.
This hotel was a great place on the 5 freeway to stay overnight. It was quiet, clean, and safe. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and fruit in addition to the usual waffle iron, cereals, yogurts and such. In spite of my Best Western discount, I thought it was slightly pricey for a spot that had little tourist attraction nearby.
The location is too noisy based on exterior and interior noises. The fridge was extremely loud and the air condition only worked when it was lower than 68 degrees even though the tempeture said it was 77 degrees in there.
Check took to long. They didn't have rooms ready and still wasn't when we got to room. Shower did not work. Couldn't get desk to answer had to walk down to find someone. Check out and the breakfast great
A great place to stay when your traveling on I-5 very pet friendly and plenty space to walk your dog. Anderson Restaurant next door. A very good place to eat with fresh baked goods. There is a heated pool also to relax after a long day of driving. There is a charging station for you car if needed. And paper towels available if your windows needs cleaned. The staff are very friendly and treat you like family.
Good location close to I 5. Somewhat rough looking on the outside but pleasant and clean on the inside. Comfortable king-sized bed in a clean and tidy room made for a good rest. Basic Continental breakfast. Pleasant staff.
My little dog andI like to stay here when I am driving up or down the state of California. Easy to get to from interstate 5, comfortable rooms, space for Baxter to run around and play after a long drive, a nice swimming pool for use during summer months, good breakfast in the morning. Being located right by Anderson's Split pea soup restaurant is a plus also.
I didn't feel like making the drive from Southern California to Northern California in one day so decided to stay here. Located right off I-5 and behind Split Pea Andersen's Restaurant, this was a perfect location for me. It was a reasonable rate, a very clean facility and an extremely nice staff. There were a several fast food places close by. While not new, this place was very clean and comfortable. The rooms looked out on a grassy courtyard and pool area. It was a pleasant stay.
I travel about 90% of the time for my job typically for the last 16 years and this is probably one of the worst hotels i have stayed at. The room had stains, the WIfi couldn't even load videos on my phone let alone be being able to use my laptop. I would never stay at this hotel again.
Wasn't terrible, got what I paid for. That being said it wasn't exceptional. The breakfast was lacking in options other than biscuits and gravy and waffles, or a oatmeal packet. The rooms were not very clean. I ran a white napkin across the sink counter and turned up black with dirt and dust. Makes you wonder about the rest. It was a place to sleep and we were able to get rest. It served it purpose. If you're looking for top notch, this isn't it. Better find a 4 star + type of hotel and pay more. But for a 3 star, non - Motel 6 or Knights Inn... this is a step above. Find that across the country, BW is hit or miss.
The TV did not work on the lower channels when we first checked in. We had to request desk to correct problem. We were told Maint person was not available but that they would reboot direst tv input. That fixed problem. On our second visit our room reeked of pee odor and cigarette smoke. The did give us a new room. Breakfast: water dispenser empty, no plates for food, milk warm and the list goes on and on.
My girlfriend, Janet and I stay here one weekend a year during the NorCal Ren Faire, Hollister. Accommodations are comfortable and the morning breakfast is tops. Staff is always friendly and helpful. A short walk to Andersen's Pea Soup. Yum!!! Easy access to highways.
This was a good place to spend the night for us. I prefer Best Western's, this was nice but it certainly could stand some updates and some renovations. It is still a good place to stay at when traveling the I5 corridor.
A lower-tier 3-star hotel that needs more investment in updating guest amenities and improving maintenance. In general, this hotel is shabby around the edges with some important guest amenities that are unpleasant.
convenient location near I-5, friendly, helpful reception staff, large clean rooms, outdoor pool & barbecue, nice breakfast area with patio tables outside, good hot breakfast and friendly kitchen staff. Just look for Anderson's windmill - Anderson's restaurant next door
I've stayed in all the hotels along HWY 5 mid California and the Santa Nella BW is the only one I will stay in now. It's well kept and accessible and the location is very good for access to the small towns along HWY 5.
My family enjoyed staying here the night of Thurs., Aug. 17th on our way to a family wedding. If we were going to stop again on the way home, we would have chosen BW Andersen's Inn. But had to drive through. Clean, friendly, close to I-5 and conveniently close to fuel and a great restaurant next door!! Rene' at the front desk was friendly & professional both in person and over the phone. Thank you Rene' for greeting us with a beautiful smile!!
This is the Bates Motel in disguise. Webs as you attempt to open curtains and as you walk into desk area. Breakfast is between 6-9 and they don't tell you, because it is in small print stamped on key card (plus it was covered with the room number that was written in. Frig ran every 15 mins and was load as a train. But what can be done at 2 to 3 AM. AVOID THIS PLACE! The reception area is the nicest location in the place to fool you.
This is a hotel I always look forward to staying at, The staff are superior the Friendliness and the willingness to please is superior. I will always stay at this hotel when I pass thru you should to.
The facility is a bit long in the tooth, but the room is well done. The grounds were a spotty and not as tidy as most. We were adjacent to I-5, but the room was very quiet and a good sleeper. The breakfast was good - eggs, tater tots, and sliced ham to go with the usual BW morning offerings.
It was 1:30am-ish and we were lane drifting on our way home from picking up a dog in Orange County back home to Portland. We could go no further so we pulled into a trusty BW. The front desk girl was super helpful and could tell I was mostly asleep. Check in was super quick. Weve never stayed in a hotel with a dog and so curious what the room was like. It was actually very nice. Not knowing hotel dog manners we simply drug the kennel into the room and had the dog sleep in it. Nice stay!
Let s say is in Santa Nella. Anyways the plan while you go to SF , you can stop here, and get breakfast @ the Andersen s Inn really close, and get some good stuff for your tummy. My stay here has always been really good.
Excellent value for the reasonable price. This was my first stay at a best western, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the room was and it included an adequate breakfast with more than merely a choice of pastries and coffee.
Great place to stop half way to our destination. Pet friendly and very clean. Well appointed breakfast. No complaints, just what we needed for a refuel on our way to our final destination. Almost exactly half way.
We decided this was a 1/2 way point on our trip home. It is an older Best Western but rooms were nice. The AC unit was noisy but kept us cool. When AC off, the freeway could be heard. Nice interior courtyard. The staff was friendly even with the AC in the office was not working. They did have a 10% discount at the Pea Soup Andersen's restaurant next door.
Family road trip stay. Close to Starbucks. Great bed. Convenient plugs fort cpap and phones Dinner at Andersons is a plus. Breakfast acceptable if you use a lot of saslsa on the eggs To get the oceanview, you w would need incredible eyesight.
The check in was easy and nice. The pool was good. Breakfast was great. loved the sliding glass doors toward the pool. Great place to stay with kids for a night. Easy access off the 1-5. heading south or going North great place to stop. Dinner at Anderson split pea soup isn't bad either.
Staff was quite friendly and room was very clean. I like that it had a refrigerator and microwave as well as coffee maker. Water was hot after a long day of travel. The breakfast was of average however, it was nice not to have to go somewhere else and could take our food to the room.
Very comfortable hotel and we slept great. The breakfast was pretty good too. Eggs, waffles, bisquits & gravy. They also had hot coffee and orange juice. Very reasonable price for the room and breakfast. I am a fan of Best Western!!
I travel a lot (Im a truck driver) so some times i have to spend the night away from home, different hotels, but this one is my favorite, great rooms, good breakfast, exellent people, love this place 5 stars.
I wanted to give this place a better rating. It's an old property, but they have done good things with it. Where it shines: The room was very clean. The decor was very good. Had it not been for the small things, I'd have been very impressed. Where it needs polish: It's an old property and it shows on the doors and around the windows. Attention to minor maintenance could be improved. Where it fails: I was not given internet instructions. Those should be given at checkin or in the room. One room next to me had a squeaky door. Every time it opened, it sounded like it was in the room with me. The toilet ran off and on all night. This is an easy fix of a flapper in the tank. You cannot tell me the cleaning staff didn't hear it when they were cleaning or that it just started when we got there. It happened every 15 minutes and woke me several times in the night. There was no offer of any kind of restitution for the toilet issue. Hampton inn has offered to comp my room for less.
Good Value om HWY 5. Room faced outward towards a noise truck stop, but room was quiet. Rooms were being updated with new AC units. Ac units were were quiet and allows light sleepers to sleep. Internet speed was fast enough to use.
Check in was fast and easy. Rooms are clean and all the furniture matches!! A little older style but that's ok. All the rooms back to a courtyard and a wonderful pool with a sliding glass door. It really is quite delightful!! Breakfast is typical, eggs, a meat and potatoes and of course the staples, waffles, toast and cereals. A/c went down...they fixed it in less than 30 minutes!!! I love this place!!! Awesome service on all fronts!!! Staff is so friendly. They make you feel at home.
This property needs a rehab. Didn't expect anything fancy, but this place needs rehab. Dirty and tired. A/C didn't work properly. Usually Best Western places are a good value. Although price was right, problems with the condition and cleanliness of the property undercut the value proposition.
Stay here every few months, and just love the food at Split Pea Andersens. The cheesecake with the Cherry Wine Sauce is just the best cheesecake I have ever had. The hotel makes this a perfect getaway. After a great dinner you can have a swim in the pool.
The TV didn't work properly. A wall outlet didn't work. A lampshade had rips in it. I asked for extra pillows and was told that housekeeping had left for the day. She gave a heavy wool blanket (it was 103 degrees outside) to prop up my back. The check-in/check-out service was awful. There lobby was empty when we tried to check-in. Soon a car parked in front of the lobby, a woman got out, and she asked if she could help us. Check-out was miserable. Since I had so many problems, I asked for a discount. The clerk refused. She said I already had the AAA discount. I argued and got an additional 10% off. She wrote my complaints in the maintenance log and implied it was the customers responsibility to inform them of problems!
The rooms are clean, they have a great breakfast, and the friendly staff can't be beat! We love it! We have stopped here for years and will keep coming back. We have recommended it to all of our friends.
There is no reason for a motel to charge this amount of money and the rooms to be so bad. The name Best Western always seems to let you know you're getting a good room but this definitely wasn't the case
Nice Best Western with the added advantage of being next to the Santa Nella Pea Soup restaurant, a great place to eat that we always stop at when traveling though the California San Joaquin Valley. Also, it has a courtyard and pool which you do not see from the outside, and the upper rooms have balconies. Breakfast was just average, and the breakfast room very small, but the bed was very comfortable, and I had a great nights rest.
TERRIBLE - TERRIBLE - TERRIBLE!! Will never stay again. Didn't get a handicap accessible room, lights did not work, remote sticky, bedding had hair on pillows, too much to list - WATCH YOUR ID AND CREDIT CARD INFO!!
The property overall is not bad. My room was clean but the bathroom felt a bit grungy. I had a smoking room (the only room available) so the smell was VERY strong. I had to run the a/c all night to be able to breathe. lol. However, the a/c was VERY loud. Overall, the room was adequate. Hotel staff were polite, professional and helpful. The hotel served my purpose of an overnight stay along I-5.
comfortable, quiet, well appointed room, clean, nice staff. really enjoyed the hot, complete breakfast. quiet, easy to check in, good rewards program, safe, nice pool. plenty of comfortable pillows, fridge, microwave, dogs welcome.
Stayed here for one night after a long day of travel. This place has seen better days and is in serious need of upgrades. The room was shabby and worn. The screen from the sliding glass door was broken and fell off as soon as we tried to open it. The tile floor in the bathroom area was sticky when I walked on it. The free wi fi was extremely slow and only worked if I sat next to the window. Even then it dropped off several times. I was looking forward to a dip in the pool but it was ice cold. I was told that the new owners decided to turn the heater off and are not offering a heated pool any more. The free breakfast was forlorn and I decided to skip it and pay to eat elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I think there must be better options close by.
This was a great stay all the staff there are extremely well-trained and very helpful especially Danielle I would stay there anytime I could I am a truck driver and there is ample truck parking the rooms are great
I have been staying here for 2 to 3 times a week for the last 4 years for work I always enjoy my stay cleaning excellent customer service. I have not had any problems like other places I have stayed...
Annoyed that confirmed booking for two rooms was not in their system and took 10to 15 minutes to resolve and then despite bill for two rooms, my credit charge charged for 3 rooms. Letting credit company sort it out as wasted enough time on this experience.
The setup around an interior courtyard is great (can hardly tell it's right off the freeway), The rooms are attractive and clean, but the exterior and parking lots need an update. The whole Santa Nella travel center needs better crossing for pedestrians. As always, I look forward to the waffles and other hot foots on the breakfast buffet. And the beds are very comfy.
The sheet are very soft and had a pleasant aroma, made for some good sleep... Towels too... Staff was very helpful and friendly. I usually go to pea soup restraint next door to eat but once I laid down it was lights out. I set my phone alarm in addition to get a I did cause I never got the wake up call.
For an older motel, it was average. Fairly clean, the bedspread was not the best. It was a very busy weekend, so we were not able to use the breakfast room. The WiFi was ok. But in general, it was very average.
I always have a good experience when I stay here. It's not high end but decorated nicely and the beds are comfy. Its quiet and close to gas & food. Star bucks is close. All that you would need to get rolling again. Also gas prices are reasonable.
We stayed here because there was truck parking and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. This hotel is nothing fancy, I almost had a stroke when I seen the only A/C was a wall unit; however after staying here 2 seperate times in different rooms, opposite sides of the building, the unit freezer us out! The water pressure does lack, but that is California as a whole. The had a nice select of toiletries that smelled good, and tons of channels on tv to choose from including HBO. They have an outdoor pool in the cute little courtyard. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
Stopped in for some shut eye on our very long trip. Pleasantly surprised by the comfort and cleanliness. Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Food and fuel very close by as well. Very nice staff. Some tv channels were fuzzy. Will remember this for our next trip.
Great old school hotel tied to famous Anderson split pea soup restaurant! Just super cool back in time feel but with ALL my modern amenities like flat screen TV and wifi. Loved my stay and took long walk in the evening around the property to see the neon and lights around the hotel!
We were on our way to Indio, CA. Got a late start that afternoon and stopped for the night. We were looking for a Best Western because we knew the stay would give us the needed rest for tomorrows trip. We woke up refreshed, had some breakfast and continued on our trip. BW's are good for providing the relaxation necessary for long trips.
We stopped here on a LONG road trip expecting to sleep and rest for the next days journey... The facility, albeit clean, was rather dated and the noise from the truck yard was unbearable. I think I would have slept better in my car on the side of the freeway!
This was my 3rd stay at this Best Western. #2 for my wife & I together. We were helped greatly by Regina at the front desk at chack-in and again at breakfast the next morning. I got gas across the street for a good price and then we walked over to the restaurant and had wonderful meals.
It was a business trip and the overnight stay was very nice, Up to date rooms a very clean with a great staff. Right off Interstate 5 easy on and off freeway. We had 2 pick-ups with trailers and there was plenty of parking
Very convenient location off I5 and right beside Pea Soup Andersen's which is always a plus. The hotel is a cute charming older exterior, but it has been kept up very well on the inside. And it is pet friendly! The inside courtyard around the pool is grass just for dogs to be able to enjoy a little time walking around. Nice breakfast and great staff who were nice enough to give us a few pieces of paper when we ran out for our portable printer.
Right off I-5 and next door to a good place to eat. Very nice lawn and pool area, looked inviting but it was a terribly windy day so we stayed in and looked at it. We asked the check =in person if they had playing cards to sell and she loaned us a deck which we appreciated. Breakfast was "grab and go" and ok. Coffee not so goo.
Am on a trip that takes us down interstate 5, which anyone who has been on it is boring and offers very little in the way of places to stay. We stopped at Best Western and even though it is a truck stop, it was fairly quite and clean. We were pleasantly surprised.
Recommend hotel and eating at Split Pea Anderson's Restaurant. Restaurant is in walking distance. Great experience. Pool is great. Breakfast provides many options. Room very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. Pet friendly.
Love the Anderson's restaurant across the street, the hotel staff are friendly, scrambled eggs/sausage/potatoes/waffles and the likes for breakfast included in the hotel lobby. Not the Westin but Ok for a nights stay.
The drive along I 5 is long and it is always great to have a comfy reliable place to stay for a quick rest. Being greeted by phone and the front desk with kind and helpful people can make all the difference in the experience. Have never been disappointed with a stay at a Best Western along the I -5 from CA to OR
love this place since we started to relocations we always stay here staff has always been very accommodating. the only negative I have is need more lighting. would always recommend this hotel to family and friends.
After a long day of driving, we were tired, hungry and wanted to get out of the car. We had no reservations, but after a dinner at Pea Soup Anderson's, we walked over to the hotel lobby to see if they had any availability. They sure did. Heads up, if you or your traveling partner have issues with stairs, request a room on the first floor or "ground level." There are no elevators. Since all the rooms have entry doors facing the outside (i.e., they open to the outside instead of a secure hallway or walk way, further meaning ANYONE can walk up to your door from the outside), we did drive by all the other hotel options in Santa Nella to check out how safe the motels felt. We chose this one because of its proximity to the restaurant, how well lit the parking lot was and the 24-hour front desk attendant. We have also stayed at other Best Westerns across the country and have never had any issues. The room itself was clean, no sign of bed bugs (and I checked everywhere with the flashlight on my cell phone!). There is a small refrigerator, coffee maker and basic amenities (including makeup removal toilette). The sheets and comforter feet old and worn (the cotton was pilling, the mattress saggy and super-soft, the bath towels felt super thin), This is a safe and convenient place to lay your head. It is right next to a truck stop, so you may hear truck engines idling throughout the night. Wasn't an issue for us (we sleep with earplugs), but if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room that is not next to or facing the trucks. Free breakfast in the lobby, standard breakfast with pastries, yogurt, etc. Above average for a BW. For Santa Nella it feels like the Ritz (that's good if you never stayed at the Ritz before).
Another brilliant stay at BW with my beloved doggies. Thank you for the welcome and pleasant stay. Love the grassy area outside the room with a slider door for easy access to it. The fact you offer smoking rooms also makes it a far more pleasant stay
The "special needs" room has a roll in shower but two Queen beds makes moving a wheelchair around a little difficult! The handicapped parking is very convenient to the room I was very grateful for that! Breakfast is always good with waffles! Biscuits and gravy was very good too and POG fruit juice is a pleasant surprise! Room doors are right next to each other so if someone knocks on the door you can't tell if it is for you or your neighbor. The heating unit is old fashioned and like a window unit it tends to blow cool air on you once the thermostat reaches it's goal temp. It never stops blowing. I turned it off through the night and had to use the comforter from the second queen bed to stay warm enough through the night.
It was my second stay at this hotel. It is a very convenient location. The hotel itself is aging but still very clean. The beds are comfy. Staff is helpfull. Maybe a bit expensive for a roadside motel. The backyard with the pool is inviting. The free breakfast is correct. Will be back again next time i'm in the area!
Rooms were of a good size and comfortable .. The entire property is in need of an update, to pull it out of the 1970's. Most ground floor rooms were positioned, that you can park right in front of the door ... or close by. Situated next door to LOVE'S truck stop between I-5, CA 33 and CA 152 ... I was VERY surprised .. while we had Semi Trucks immediately outside our door and over a fence line ... we could not hear them running their engines ... unless we opened the window. It was the AC unit, in the room that made the noise ! Breakfast is offered here, however, the room is TOO SMALL to accommodate even a 1/4 of those who maybe staying here, Felt as though they were attempting to discourage people from even using this area of the hotel. The asphalt parking area ... appears to have been long overlooked and in need of attention - repair. As well as some uneven surfaces, which could cause a trip and fall or damage to a wheelchair.
We stayed at this hotel and my car and 2 others were broken into that night. Merced Sheriff officer Xoing said they average 1 break in a night - that night there were THREE; that they shine a flashlight into back of car and if they see anything they steal it. Theives smashed the car window & stole EVERYTHING out of the SUV back. The hotel KNOWS this is a FREQUENT event and has no signs in lobby or parking lot stating such or that you should take ALL belongings into hotel. The lighting is very dim and their "supposed security guard" does not make regular rounds. Staff was unsympathic... but they did have cardboard and tape for people like me to tape up their car window. WHAT DOES THAT SAY? at an average of 1 breakin a night (7 a week!) you would think that the Sheriff or the 3 hotels would band together and do a "sting operation" but sadly they are appethetic and JUST DON'T CARE !!! I will never EVER stay in Santa Nella again. - Anne of Portland, Oregon
My wife and I spent the night at BW Andersen's Inn en route to the Bay Area. We chose the hotel because of our love for Andersen's Pea Soup as well as its proximity to Oakland, where we had planned a day of activities to begin the following morning. The restaurant did not disappoint, but not so with the hotel, where we were shocked to find muddy footprints on the bathroom floor, which was also quite sticky (a major grossout). Add to that the dated fixtures and furnishings and you get a three-star rating from us. Probably worth the $94 bucks, but not a penny more.
This is a great place to stay, when you need a place to stay for the night, during your journey. The rooms are easily accessible, and you can head across the interior courtyard to have complimentary breakfast in their breakfast lounge, or to pick up your food and bring it to your room.
Very clean and very close to fishing locations, bait and tackle shops. Local shops in Santa Nella as well as a variety of fast food locations. State parks are within driving distance as well. Hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms were very clean.
Coming from Southern Oregon to all points south this is our favorite stop off point. Always accommodating and pet friendly. Also recommended for extended stay when visiting near the area. breakfast is good and saves having to go far for a meal. great helpful staff.
I found the people and the room very nice. But the company is responsible for the towels. They could give them nicer ones and raise the quality of the rooms by quite bit. My husband loved the coffee in the room. (we stayed somewhere else and the room was clean but the coffee terrible. We will not stay at that hotel again. (it was not a best western)
This place seems to be the only game in town and what a TIRED old place it is. It is situated with four sides of rooms, double story and in the center is the pool. There is no elevator. Our check-in was pleasant but we were given a ground floor adjoining room and the people next door had their TV on so loudly that we immediately changed our room to one upstairs. We had to lug all our suitcases, etc. up those stairs., but we did get a very quiet room! Room: it needs so much work. The only things that looked upgraded were the granite on the sink area and the carpet, which was very nice. The rest was so worn with gouges out of the wood around the door jam, old wallpaper peeling, tile grout in bathroom dirty, old dirty windows and I think, the original sliding glass door. The LOCK ON THAT DOOR DID NOT WORK and you had to rely on a flimsy chain in groove, which was badly bent. It would seem as if you would have to sleep with one eye open! The towels were old and one of ours had a blood-like looking stain on it. The breakfast was a good one—waffle machine, scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, etc. I heard there are new owners and hopefully they will replace doors, door jams, tile, windows, etc. It was convenient for us as we traveled down Hwy. 5, but would not highly recommend. The staff was very pleasant and I believe and hope they were getting someone out to repair the lock on the sliding glass door.
This location is right off the freeway, next to a good and famous restaurant, it is also next to a truck stop which is good for me because I drive a big rig. The hotel offers hot breakfast every morning, it has a good size pool and plenty of parking space for trucks.
It's very clean, the staff is awesome. The rooms are outdated and the bed was terribly uncomfortable. It is the nicest place to stop in the area. The AC didn't get to the temperature I preffered, but it was very hot out that day. I wish they had DirecTV like other places.
This is a good hotel if you need a place to stop for the night, but a bit pricey for a travel-through hotel, but so are the others in the area. What should have been a $59 room, was over $100, again, so were the others at this off-ramp.
This was a great place to stay with our little dog. Area to walk her and sit outside with grassy area. We could get our breakfast and sit outside with her by the pool area, The restaurant is easy to walk to. Easy on and off the I-5.
I have stayed at this hotel before and was happy that everything was as nice as my prior visits. The staff was great, the rooms were clean and comfortable and they served a great breakfast. Close to gas stations and restaurants. Anderson Pea soup restaurant as well as others. Easy on and off of interstate 5. I would recommend this hotel.
Staff was friendly, rooms were adequate linens very clean and smelled pleasant. They offered a veterans' discount. BUT... several rodent traps were seen and appeared to be "not new". They were about 8 inches square so I'm thinking bigger than a mouse. Glad we were back from dinner before dark!
Easy on, easy off highway 5. Friendly staff & nice facility. If I had any complaint it would be the cost of the room. I felt it was a little high considering it's not a touristy area. In-fact it's in the middle of nowhere except it's a good place to stop to break up the trip from LA to San Fran like we did. If I made the trip again I wouldn't hesitate to stay again, but I would hope for a little better price.
Over all the visit was good but was unhappy that I had to settle for a smoking room. The staff was very nice and the room clean and comfortable but this room was the only one they had down stairs. Always enjoy eating at Andersens. May stay there again in the future.
No disappointments! Room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. I didn't use the pool but the area and pool are lovely! Breakfast was delicious and bountiful! Staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful!
While this hotel is convenient when passing down 5 to go to the Valley, it isn't worth it. It is loud and old. Staff is nice but that doesn't make up for it. Unless you are absolutely exhausted and dont have a choice .. keep on keeping on to the next spot.
Very friendly staff, clean rooms very comfortable beds, great pillows, nice breakfast served early for those of us that need to get on the road, truck parking on site, pool looked nice just wish I brought my swimsuit .
Was pleasantly surprised. I had read some mixed reviews before selecting. I was traveling with some senior, disabled relatives so I called the motel direct to request accommodations. The staff was friendly, made note of the needs and met them. The cleanliness of the rooms was better than some higher end hotels I've stayed in. Very nice and would stay there again.
We stayed here primarily because it was next door to the PeaSoup Andersen Restaurant we really like. Check in was efficient and staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, roomy and quiet, and a pleasant addition was the two chairs on the patio outside the room, overlooking the private green space and pool. Very pleasant to sit out in the evening. Will go back again.
For just an overnight-get off the freeway stop-this was good. It is an older hotel so rooms are small, but bed was comfortable and the Pool was clean. It is next to large Truck stop but not much noise and restaurants close by.
This hotel location is great for a stop along the freeway when traveling. It is clean, has everything you need and close to the Andersen's Split Pea restaurant, which is delicious. I will stay at this hotel again to break up the driving. Actually, I was quite impressed.
Keep driving to another hotel or save your money and stay and a cheap motel since that is basically what this is. Employees were nice. The maid cleaned the best she could but there was black mold in several places in the bathroom (we skipped taking a shower), sink did not work, needs to be updated. Had a hard time sleeping. DO NOT EAT AT THE PEA SOUP RESTAURANT next door. Overpriced and gross.
Spent the night on a southbound trip. Arrived after midnight and was met by a friendly, professional clerk who set us up with our reserved room very quickly. With the late arrival I asked for a late checkout and was given a hour later checkout. Much appreciated. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower nozzle one of the better low flow units I have seen. This hotel is not new but it appears to be in good shape.
Andersen's has been around for years and it looks the same today as 20+ years ago. I think the same beds are still in the rooms. Nothing has changed. But the time as come to update with fresh paint and appearance. The charm is there although you have to look deep.
I was driving north, to Sacramento, then Lake Tahoe; and I left in the middle of the afternoon, from the Los Angeles area; needless to say I encountered traffic coming up. It was great to arrive at the Best Western, in Santa Nella. For me, it was time to check in to my room and get some sleep. Check in went smoothly, and my room was nice and comfortable. In the morning it was great to enjoy the complimentary breakfast and get a good start on my travels. The Santa Nella area is perfect for when you need a place to stop for the night, before continuing north or south, or west to the Bay Area. This was my second stay at this Best Western. It will be one of the hotels I will consider choosing, for future travel.
This is a nice property in a key mid-California location. The restaurant next door (Pea Soup Andersen's), which I believe is associated with the motel somehow, is fantastic! We parked a trailer there, which was super easy.
A must stop for all travelers on Highway 5. This is an enjoyable getaway as well as a stop for the weary road warrior. Love to come for relaxation. Andersens has the Best food anywhere. Anything you order is delicious.
We stayed at the Santa Nella BW unplanned and we were absolutely satisfied with the stay. From the friendly staff to the warm pool and clean room, everything was great. Even the breakfast was hot and tasty. We would absolutely stay again next time we travel the I5.
Santa Nella is a convenient stop for us on the I-5 route and has several good hotels. One of our favourites is the Best Western which is right beside Andersen's restaurant, famous for its pea soup. The hotel is reasonably priced, and is a set of four buildings arranged around a central garden courtyard with swimming pool. It is a duplicate of Andersen's other hotel in Buelton CA. The lobby and breakfast room are small but attractive and service is pleasant. We typically ask for an upstairs room to avoid footsteps overhead, and these have balconies overlooking the pool and garden. Though shared with the room next door, they are very long so ‘personal space' is not a problem. The inside location of all the rooms makes them quiet at night even though this hotel is beside the freeway. The rooms are comfortably furnished and very clean, with all normal conveniences. The hotel and its neighbouring restaurant are decorated in Danish half-timbered style, and a large windmill is attached to the restaurant. We invariably have the refillable pea soup in a bread bowl in the restaurant, which is attractively done-up as a old baronial hall, quite a novelty in this location. With plenty of gas stations also nearby, this Best Western has become one of our normal stops enroute.
What a nice place to stop on a long trip! Clean, good breakfast, great staff. Added pluses - next to the Andersen's Pea Soup restaurant. Rooms have large patios or balconies, and face interior courtyard area with pool. Lots of grass in the courtyard - great for kids to run off some energy or if you have pets!
Traveling from OR to s.CA and had made a reservation here because it was in an evenly spaced location according to the miles we wanted to travel. So glad we picked this place! Nice clean rooms, comfy beds. Pretty building, it has that Old European look to it that matches the Andersen's restaurant next door. I liked how all the rooms had a back door which opened onto a central grassy area and the pool. Our son had a great time in the pool, and it was nice to sit just outside our room and relax watching the area. Lots of families seemed to be staying there at this time, everyone having a good time. Nice breakfast room with all the usual breakfast items, room enough to find seating even with a lot of people there. Our son keeps asking to go back to this motel some day he liked it so much, so I will have to keep it in mind when we travel through this area again!
The was amazing. The hotel has one side of non smoking part and the other rooms are for smoking. I like the breakfast becouse it has alot of opions. The rooms are clean. The Temperature was super hot. The lobby so clean.
We just stopped for one night on our way to San Francisco and were pleasantly surprised. Although next to a Truck Stop, it was super quiet. The breakfast in the morning has a full array of items, eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles...and all the usual items. The staff were all very nice.
Right next door to the restarant and there is a nice pool The rooms are clean and te staff is helpful and friendly The free breakfast had hot food and also fruit and other breakfast foods!! Close to freeway too
The motel was very nice except for the noisy A/C. Light sleepers might be woken often through-out the night due to the noisy A/C. The reception and breakfast staff are very pleasant, the pool is very refreshing. The room was large although dusty in front of the closet area. I had a restless night due to the A/C constantly turning on and off. The breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes. There was many more items for breakfast.
We needed a hotel along the freeway as part of a 2-day drive. It was convenient, clean, neat, quiet room, comfortable bed and pillows, easy check-in and check-out. We also enjoyed being right next to a Split Pea Andersens.
I needed to break up a driving trip from Azusa to San Francisco and Santa Nella was about 3/4 of the way. Had some points to use at BW so this hotel worked for us very well. An older hotel, near the freeway but the noise did not bother us at all. Some of the hotel could use some updating as the décor is somewhat dated. Friendly staff who were very helpful. Enjoyed a meal at Pea Soup Anderson's right across the parking lot.
I always try to stay here when I can. The staff is always very helpful, all of them. The rooms are comfortable, and clean. There is choices of fueling stations, and food. There is a Starbucks close by.
Great breakfast including biscuits and gravy. Only shortcoming is there is not an elevator. Me being older would like one, but is only a 2 story hotel anyway. Comfortable rooms, tv is newer flat screen, couple of ice machines and discount at Pea Soup Andersons restaurant next door.
A good place to stop on Hiway 5 before getting into the east bay traffic congestion and a good place when leaving bay area to avoid morning commute traffic. By staying there we cut several hours off our SF to San Diego trip. Easy access from 5 to get on and off and gas stations right there.
We stayed at this motel so that we could attend a graduation party for our neice. The motel was nice - we had a pool view, free wi-fi, and a nice breakfast in the morning. If we're ever in the area and need a place to stay, we will certainly condsider the Best Western Andersen's Inn again.
I travel from Oregon to Los Angeles multiple ties a year with y family. we divide the trip over two days and this best western is where we always stay. here's why -- the included breakfast has restaurant quality value -- the rooms overlooking the courtyard and pool give an appeal that feels like an unexpected bonus --The people that work there make you feel appreciated to have your business
This Best Western hotel Andersen's Inn is a very nice, comfortable stay for an overnight business trip, or a place to rest on a long drive. The staff is always friendly, the rooms clean, and there is usually no problem with availability. It might be a bit pricey for the basic accommodations, but it's comfortable and safe, and near gasoline, convenience stores and restaurants.
This is a comfortable and clean road side motel that has been carefully upgraded over the years. The bed is very comfortable, and there is a microwave and refrigerator in every room which we love. There is still more renovating to accomplish like new slider doors and toilets, but overall for the age of this property, it has been well taken care of. It is very convenient to have Pea Soup Andersen's right across the parking lot! Free Wi Fi and breakfast are offered.
Well, it's been a while since we stayed in Santa Nella. We used to stop there all the time, but usually stayed at the Holiday Inn that is now the Quality Inn. This was our first trip back down that way since 2010. A lot seems to have happened in only 6 years. For one thing, we are all so much older! The Navigator was craving Anderson's Pea Soup, so he suggested we stay at their Best Western so we could easily walk over to Anderson's for supper. Big mistake! Poor ol' Anderson's Inn-Best Western has seen better days! The towel racks were falling off the walls in our bathroom. The place had not been properly cleaned--I had to do it all over again with Lysol Wipes. I wasn't even certain that the sheets had been changed. I found that NOT changing sheets is the newest trick played on travelers, who are unsuspecting, and never pull back the top coverings to check that out. I've found the head & body hairs of others and blood and other bodily fluids on sheets in resort hotels, even. I found a pair of lace panties in the fancy cloths-closet at the Ritz Carlton in Pasadena. I caught our room attendant tromping all over the expensive duvet, that he'd tossed onto the floor of our hotel room at the Hyatt Regency in Lake Tahoe. I caught him red-footed! So, I reported him to the front desk. A heck of a lot of good that did--he was still on staff the next day. We'll never stay at that hotel again either. No wonder so many of rapidly aging Baby Boomers get fed up and buy themselves an RV to sleep in. We old folks can't see as well nor hear much either, but there we are trying to navigate our way down the interstates, all because we just can't abide paying good money for a bad room. Thank God, I learned how to clean rooms from my grandmother. In 1975, I worked at a motel, where we also had road-crews stay, as well as tourists. No elevators, and three flights of stairs, we chamber-maids (as we were then called) had to lug all the towels and bedding up and down those stairs, for each and every room. The good thing was I was YOUNG & STRONG, back then. The bad thing is, I now have no patience or tolerance for a poor cleaning job done on any room I pay good money to stay in. I want that room as clean as I always left the rooms I took care of! Chamber maids in 1975 had far more to do, and the motel I worked at was huge! I had more rooms assigned to my shifts than most room attendants have today. So, NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!! We will not stay at the Best Western-Anderson's Inn, located at Santa Nella, again. I'd rather camp out at the side of the road than stay in such a shabby, run-down place. Too bad. The pea soup still tastes good, even if it is way too high in salt for anyone who has ever had a heart attack. We won't be having their pea soup again either.
I've eaten at Pea Soup Andersen's many times, but never had the opportunity to stay at the adjacent Best Western. Saw a coupon in one of the travel booklets, and decided to check it out on this recent trip. Quite a nice surprise. It's right off I-5 so a bit noisy, but not bad. The room was very comfortable and would have been even better had the weather been warmer for sitting outside, as the sliding door opened to the pool area, and there were chairs on the small terrace. I would definitely stay here again.
This was our second stay at this hotel. During both stays we encountered very friendly and efficient staff. They have nice big rooms with comfortable beds. Pets are welcome and there are a couple of nice areas to walk your dog. The breakfast was average quality but the staff make it a nice experience. The internet was a bit slow.
This is an older property, but the rooms are nicely updated with granite bath counters, a desk and a very nice balcony to sit out on in the evening, opening up to the nice pool and courtyard. The room was clean and the shower was a hit with my 6'1" husband who was able to enjoy a shower head that was high enough for him to stand under!! The breakfast was the same as other BW's and was hot and good. We would stay here again and recommend it for others. The upper floors are nice and on the South side so you don't get the afternoon hot sun.
It all works. Nothing spectacular but one of the best "no surprises" places we stay. Usually here 2 or 3 time a year for the last 8 years. Rooms are clean and pleasant, property is well cared for, people are friendly and helpful.
I had passed through Santa Nella many times and always thought that if I ever had the time I would stop over night and this time through I did just that and I'm so glad I did.. The hotel is fantastic, there really isn't much more to add to that except that each and every room has a balcony or patio, which I love (I wish every hotel was set up that way). The Andersons Pea Soup Restaurant was outstanding.. I will definitely stay here again.
Santa Nella is a sweet spot on the I-5 between Northwest cities and Southern California. Hotel has ground-level rooms for ease of unloading and loading back to car. Hotel staff will do what they can to secure a ground-level room, if available. Location excellent for filling up the car and meals.
Just needed to spend one night as we drove from Aloha, Oregon on our way to San Diego. Our room was in the back across from the truck stop, but the noise from that area was minimal. Have a very nice stay. Stayed here over 35 years ago and recommended to my husband that we stay there this time on our trip. Very satisfied.
I have stayed there before and will again. It's not new but nice. The staff is very helpful and do a good job cleaning. There is a good gas station near by and food choices. But most important a Starbucks.
Our room was supposed to be an upgraded room. It was comfortable but needs more electrical outlets. Staff were excellent and beds were great. My internet dropped several times. My wife enjoyed her sleep that night and her shower the next morning.
If you are looking for a comfortable bed for the night, a good FREE breakfast, and staff that extends themselves to make your visit pleasant, stay at the Best Western Andersen's Inn, Santa Nella, CA. The beds are comfortable, room is clean, parking easy and well lit. The breakfast is generous.
This Best Western is very nice. Clean, convenient if travelling I-5. and the Andersons Pea Soup Restaurant next door is fantastic. All rooms face the garden and pool area. Stay here on our way to AZ every year.
Stopped for the night from So Oregon to LA. Reasonable rate, nice room. Older hotel but nice toon amenities, comfy bed, and big pool. Very welcoming & efficient staff, plus discount at Pea Soup Restaurant.
There aren't many places to stay on this lonely stretch of I-5. This Best Western is tops: Pros: Car is directly out our door, less than 40 feet away. There are paper towel dispensers for your windshield (or whatever) ! Keurig coffee maker; sliding glass door to patio which overlooks the pool and garden. It is serene and quiet, even tho we're close to the freeway. (Parking lot side is noisy, but it doesn't come into the room.) A/C provides white noise--some units cycle on and off and that disturbs our sleep. Refrigerator and microwave. Shower and toilet are separate from the sink/closet area, and have high windows that provide ventilation and light. From the shower, one can see the rotating windmill of Andersen's Pea Soup restaurant. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are freshly decorated: paint, carpet, wallpaper (yes, wallpaper) and draperies. Shower has a new plastic surround and is glistening white. Continental breakfast has a nice selection; you can add coconut and chocolate to your waffle and put on whipped cream...but we're going to Andersen's for pastry--just across the parking lot...and by the way, Andersen's food and service is tops! Breakfast room was thoughtfully designed, with items in three areas, so users didn't have to get in line to wait for others. People in the US like to get into lines, whether they want cereal or not... The containers had lids on hinges, so you don't have to struggle with where to put the lid. I know: this is minimal, but those little things add to a nice package! We can hear Mourning Doves cooing. They are adding a charge station for electric cars... Cons: Toilet tank float was out of adjustment, so water was too high and the excess trickled through the flush-handle hole, down the tank and onto the floor. At check-in, we thought the floor had just been mopped, because the grout between the tiles was wet. Had to use towels and bath mat until maintenance could arrive the following morning, but the floor was messy wet. There are four pillows on each bed, but all are the same firmness. I like soft, so take my pillow from home on trips. There is a bolster on each bed. Does anyone use a bolster, other than at the massage therapist? There are no spots to plug in an accessory at the desk because the two lamps use the outlet--we had to unplug one lamp to attach a laptop. The pros completely outweigh the cons; we recommend Andersen's BW.
The hotel is ideal for the traveller as it is within 5 minutes of Interstate 5. The room was clean, well presented and contained all necessary items. We have a dog and there is a river within 3 minutes to walk on. The breakfast is very basic, less than most other BWs and the breakfast room is tiny and was overcrowded.
We enjoyed our stay because the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was very friendly and their Pea Soup Restaurant was in walking distance. The hotel offers other amenities that we did not use, but would be nice for other guests that may be interested in those facilities. We were just interested in getting a good night's sleep and getting an early start the next day which made us appreciate the breakfast starting at 6:00 a.m.
This hotel has large rooms with patio or balcony. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast area is set up well and the lady working the breakfast area was extremely pleasant and did an excellent job of refilling items and keeping the area clean. I stay here every time that I am in the area.
There's not a lot of choice on southern I-5, but Best Western has most of it covered. The Best Western Anderson was the best of them so far. We make this trip quite often and will always shoot for the Best Western Anderson in Santa Nella as our stopping point on our way to the Mojave.
Staggeringly tired after 12 hours driving, we decided to stop here for the night. We are BW rewards members and often stay at this brand. They are usually clean, comfortable and well maintained. Not this dump. The price was a shocking $135..(About $ 170 Canadian) However we were just too tired and hot to keep looking. The pool looked inviting so we took our key to the two queen bed room. Sidestepping a large pile of dog poo, we opened the door to a single queen size bed. Back to the office where the "Assistant Manager" gave us an eyeroll and a scowl - grumbling about having to do paperwork to give us a different room, even though we had actually paid for two beds. She must have decided to punish us by giving us the worst room in the place. The room was shabby with stained carpet, a view of a wall, devoid of light.. This is, basically, a trucker stop. We had a roomfull of them next door and they were having a party with their friends. Drinking, smoking pot and shouting. We asked if this would go on all night and were told they "were regular customers" and would be quiet soon. We somehow got the impression that if they decided to party all night, nothing would be done. Well, it was still about 85 outside, so a swim before dinner seemed a good idea. There was scene of crime tape all around the sparking water- back to the office to be told the pool was closed. This had not been disclosed at check in. Back to the dark, shabby, none too clean room with the roaring noise of parked trailer trucks that was so intense the floor was vibrating, the shouting party next door we decided we couldn't stay here. Back to the office to check out and request a refund. We had been there less than an hour. We won't find out if they actually credited us the outrageous charge until we get our credit card statement. Avoid this ancient dump. There are better places for less money nearby.
Good location, right off the freeway, next to restaurants, truck stops. Rooms are good, truck parking. I am glad they are remodeling the appearance of the hotel. Staff are very friendly. I'm staying there once a week.
On the road again traveling. We were very pleased with this hotel. They are doing some upgrades to this location but it did not effect our stay in any way. Beautiful location and great food close to hotel. Easy I-5 access.
Walked into the room and felt very comfortable and it was very clean, looked great smelled good. I enjoyed it from the time I walked in to the time I departed! Great breakfast available in the morning!
I had a pleasant stay and loved the room size. I was happy to have my dogs in the room and felt very comfortable. The grassy area was very nice just outside my room and the dogs enjoyed it .. travelling with dogs in competition is difficult sometimes as a lot of hotels do not understand there are responsible dog owners who have dogs that behave themselves in the rooms. Thank you for trusting responsible dog owners to have their dogs in the room with them and providing a lovely room with all the amenties
The staff is very friendly at this hotel but the room was dirty. The mattress is on a sheet of plywood. Where the headboard area is located.....huge dust bunnies and candy wrappers were on the floor. I also took a picture of a bug crawling up the wallpaper. A motel will age with time but there is no excuse for a dirty room. I complained to the front desk, they took $15.00 off my bill but I won't stay here again. Our room was next to the truck stop area so if you don't have the fan on....you're going to get some noise. My advice: Stay at the Quality Inn across the street, it was perfect!
This location is has a very dingy parking area which gets tracked around related to the MANY trucks and traffic going through there. The room was acceptably clean. We were disappointed in Andersen's Pea Soup last visit, so did not try it again. We did appreciate that there are more choices of other places to eat near by now. Just ok if this is a convenient stop on the way up or down I5.
Great motel. Lots of restaurants nearby. Quiet off highway area. Great for walking pets and walking in general after a long days drive. I have stayed at this best Western many times in the past and had never had a bad experience.
Ok hotel with lots of parking for big trucks. they offer a discount rate for CDL drivers. However, the carpet in the room was filthy and the property in general needs a face lift and some TLC. The restaurant on property is excellent. Yummy split pea soup.
This site is good for the price. Bed was great. Need a little updating. They were working on the outside landscaping and grounds. A lot of truckers because of great parking. My only dislike was the carpet needed shampooed. The room otherwise was very clean and comfortable.
Friendly and courteous staff, free hot breakfast with sausage, eggs and cinnamon french toast. Pet-friendly rooms downstairs. Non-pet friendly rooms on second level. No elevators, two-story. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and quiet.
An older hotel that has been remodeled, bed very comfortable with a complimentary hot breakfast. Felt safe in the area. Did not try the restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. All the first floor rooms are pet friendly and there is no elevator, so not as convenient if you can't be a a pet friendly room.
Nothing special here but sometimes clean and comfortable has to be enough. The staff was very nice here. Would stay again if passing through. Nice that Anderson's Split Pea Soup Restaurant is on the same property. Not a lot of places to eat here so was convenient to just walk next door.
It is located to a famous restaurant known for having great pea soup. Loved both the hotel and restaurant. After a stressful afternoon of traffic on I-5 between Santa Nella and LA this was a welcome place to stay.
Pool is 80*. Anderson's Split Pea is right next door. You have to try the meatloaf dinner. I was impressed that they had Anchor Brewing Co.'s Anchor Steam on tap. The hotel is located in a city on the 5 and Pacheco Pass, the road over to Gilroy, Ca. and 101. I can't leave out the fact that there is also an "In and Out Burger" restaurant just down the street over the bridge on the other side of the 5.
We were only at hotel for one night but it had nice staff and restaurant near by. The bathrooms needed updating especially needed heater. The breakfast was good and included in price. The restaurant was Anderson's and staff attentive and service very good. Had a nice gift shop and food shop.
On a return trip to Oregon I made the mistake of choosing this S.hole! My wife said no but I thought Best Western ,why not? Well..... She was right. .. I think they used this "motel" in MANY very early trucker movies!!! I can put up with some expected things but NOTHING could have prepared me for this place! Stinky, run down, bullet hole looking things in the ceiling,etc... Just wait 20 minutes longer going North and enjoy the Best Western Plus in Patterson Ca.
We have stayed here many times and never had a bad experience. It is an older structure but well kept up and clean. It also breaks up the monotony of the I 5 highway. The restaurant next door (Pea Soup Andersen's) is a definite plus, a very good menu.
Bathtub caulking was cracked. One floor lamp had a broken shade the other no light bulb. Sheets are see-through. Night attendent never looked up from her magazine when I walked in to look for a spoon. Trash piled up outside hallway on east end. Plenty of workers hanging in halls shooting the breeze with each other. No security visable on grounds but plenty of wanderers from adjacent truck stop cruising the halls and parking lot. I've stayed in plenty of nice Best Western hotels but this one gave me the creeps. Once your in the room, it's best not to come out. We'll never stay here again no matter how desperate. The place needs some security gates, staff training, a deep cleaning and a remodel sooner than later.
After an exhausting day of driving, it was a pleasure to find this extraordinarily accommodating Best Western. Of all our choices, the Best Western was tops, hands down. We would choose it again if we were driving in that direction and needed a stop over. Thank you, Best Western.
Deceiving not part of Anderson's Split Pea quality. I would not recommend this place if you have a choice. We were tired and thought this would be good and associated it with the Windmill ha ha! Go up the street to a newer place.
Having stayed at this property many times in the past I was disappointed this time. The room had a bad odor. The carpet needed to be vacuumed. The internet password did not work. The TV reception was poor due to a bad cable. The sliding door jam was broken. The value was diminished by these factors.
I was extremely satisfied with my stay. The bed was lovely to look at and extremely comfortable. The down bed spread and the four fluffy pillows along with an extra blanket and body pillow was heavenly.
This is a very good hotel for a few nights stay. It's conveniently located off Hwy 5 and Hwy 152, and next to Pea Soup Anderson's. Other services (gas, convenience stores, etc.) are nearby. The staff is pleasant, check in and out quick, and the room is adequate.
A good stopping place on Interstate Hwy 5. The hotel was very clean with a very pleasant, accommodating staff. The breakfast more than adequate and nicely arranged. Coffee was good! A better-than-expected quality, and swift service restaurant is connected with Anderson's, Gas prices at this exit are usually the best around for many miles. We always plan to stop at this exit for all our travel needs when traveling on I-5.
The hotel is fine, average, but the damned A/C unit was too loud to sleep through. The rooms are bland, standard highway Hotel. I would have expected the rooms to be charming, based on the Pea Soup Anderson's brand The restaurant is ok, but no place to order a steak, which is odd, since the chain originates in Buellton home of the Hitching Post, and Santa Maria style barbecue. Apparently no one from their management has ever walked over to the Hitching Post and eaten a good steak.
The hotel is well located for travel through CA, which is why we stopped. Easy on and off of the freeway, close to gas stations. However, it is an older property, and the check in staff was quite rude, although we were booking 3 rooms. The room was comfortable, with an eyebrow window in the bathroom. The breakfast was good, with real scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, waffles, fresh fruit, cereals, Danish and good coffee. We would stay again because of the location and breakfast.
This town is midpoint to my destination and I always enjoy stopping to rest. The front staff very efficient. I have stopped when having our dog. Great room overall for the price! They have a great breakfast...love the waffles!
Pleasant environment thus hd a good sleep w/excellent bkft nicely done to start one's day. Make sure to request for a room away fm the frwy. Bring yr swimwear to enjoy a great pool right in the middle of this property. Big yard for children to play and hv a great time.
