I was very satisfied overall with this hotel the amenities the cleanliness of the room the staff went beyond my expectation we have family and they took good care of us though very nice of the children I really enjoyed our stay with this Deerfield best western thank you all for everything they have done over there for us making us very comfortable it was like staying at a family's place

They charged my account twice. The manager refuses to talk to me. I am still working on this. I found several dead cockroaches on floor and one live one in the room. The bed was so uncomfortable. I could hear the cars and everything going on outside even though I had a corner room. It was the worse place and service I ever been too. I have never experienced anything like this.

One of the worst hotel I have ever been!! Breakfast is very bad; instant scramble eggs, horrrible; only 3 days they served omeletts in 3 weeks stay!! I spent there few weeks and I was unable to leave because it was a contract!! But I regret it everyday!! Maybe two employees in the front desk were ok, the rest, not good customer service!! Room was ok but after checking 4 rooms, one the a/c was not good, the others were very noisy!! It is a very loud hotel due to the proximity to the high way! The surrounding of the hotel was durty. There were 3 days in which no toilet paper!! Parking is ok but do not park on the guest of the day(????) they will call your room even if it is at 10 pm!! By the way ñ, the hotel on the north side is own by the same people, so as I said, Stop, turn around a leave!!

The hotel smelled like smoke. The beds were so uncomfortable. The hotel charged me another night because I checked out late at 3pm. The general manager Martha Algate refused to take my call in this matter. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!

From the looks of this hotel it is very well maintained. Beautiful lobby, pool deck area, clean rooms. Quick stop off for one night. I want to give it a higher rating because the reason I did not enjoy my stay as much as I could of, were for reasons outside of the hotels control. While ease and accessibility from I-95 was a major deciding factor for me picking this hotel; I didn't realize I would hear every passing car and truck. As well there is little to no insulation from noise in other rooms or guest walking past the room.

Look pretty from outside but it's nasty inside.. we had reservations for 2 took me for a week.. checked in and checked back out..the rooms were musty, took toilets 1.min to flush. Staff was friendly and that's about it.. all I can say is go else where unless you absolutely are in a bind.

Stayed here for a week on business. Prices were very good. Internet wasn't as fast as I needed but most places aren't. It's kind of off by itself so there isn't a lot of traffic driving through. You are right by the highway and can hear it. Never heard anything in my room though. Place was clean and everyone was nice. Definitely stay there again. Traffic on the roads away from the hotel is pretty congested.

I really enjoyed my stay at the BW Deerfield Beach, FL. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was well kept. My room was very comfortable and very clean. I really appreciate the hotel acknowledging their location being right next to a busy highway. They provided ear plugs for the stay, however it was not that bad and did not disturb any sleep. Overall this was a great stay and I will definitely be staying here when in town again.

I was so impressed with the cleanliness, and very friendly staff. The area was quiet even though I-95 was just around the corner. I loved how breakfast was so healthy and available for everyone. Room service was amazing.

I traveled to Deerfield Beach for a volleyball tournament with 3 of my daughters. We stayed in a room with 2 beds and a sofa bed. There was more than enough room for all of us. I was traveling with a broken foot, and although my room was not a designated handicap-access room, there was plenty of space for me to wheel around on my scooter, and there were bars on the wall in the shower so I was quite safe and secure on one foot standing in there. The shower was also nice...lots of nice hot water. The room wasn't "charger-happy-world" updated, though, so it doesn't have USB ports anywhere so you have to bring your wall chargers and the outlets aren't necessarily conveniently located for charging all your devices. Breakfast was served from 7-10 and had your typical offerings. Fresh fruits, yogurt, breads, muffins, eggs, a meat, and waffles. My daughters say hotel waffles are the best so they were pretty happy with that. My girls spent time at the pool and really liked it. Due to my foot I didn't go down, but I noticed passing by that it looks like the hotel actually has things in the pool to help a person who needs a wheelchair to be able to safely get in and enjoy the pool. I thought that was pretty cool. (I took some pics to upload) Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely book here again if volleyball takes me to Deerfield Beach again... :)

Very good, maintenance on the plumbing and maids servicing the shower curtains need to take care to the details. The selector on the nozzle for the tub/shower was frozen in the shower position. The shower curtain was installed backwards with missing snaps causing water to get on the floor.

good breakfast i liked the floor, good amenities overall. would advise anybody to use their services. cleanliness was good, well made bed and overall top services.had no issues checking out and had an excellent time there.

satisfied except I was told I would get an early check-in but never was told it would cost me an extra 25.00 for the 2 hours. Never again,.... I have never had to pay at any other hotel as a member for an early check-in.

This is an older hotel that appears to have been fairly well maintained. You enter your room from the outside rather than from an inside hallway. The pool is located in an open courtyard in the middle of the hotel. We didn't use the pool but it appeared to be well kept. Our third floor room facing the courtyard was a suite with a bedroom and a living room. First and foremost the room was clean and the paint was fresh. The AC worked well. Although the bed slept OK we felt the mattresses were at the point of needing replacement. Nice bathroom with a great shower. The toilet had a problem in that it flushed way too slow - to the point it looked as thought it was going to overflow (even with nothing in it). Luckily no overflows. The outside door had about a 3/4" to 1" gap at the bottom (no weather strip), which makes one worry about bugs getting in but thankfully there were none. As to noise, we heard none. They provide a very nice breakfast. Note that hotel rooms in this area are all fairly pricey (at least during this time of year). For hotels in this price range we we expect everything to function perfectly hence the average rating.

Very close to everything only a 10 min drive to the beach rooms were nice and updated staff was not the best but we made due even with the rude employees the pool was nice and in a central location it is in a busniess park so it is quite except for the high way behind the hotel

My trip was booked an paid in full through hotwire for 4days from March 21st to 25th 2018. Upon arriving to the hotel at 3pm to check and was told by the front desk clerk that they cannot accommodate us due to the fact that my credit card was not chipped and they needed to swipe 25 buck for incidentals. I have stayed at better hotels who do not have this requirement!!!! Chipped or not my accommodation should have been honored due to it already was booked. Now had I know this prior to I would have never booked this hotel. My problem was not that they wouldn't accept my card it the fact that the attitude of the staff was so nonchalant and they could care less that we would be practically homeless!!! We are from another country!!!! I was instructed to call hotwire and have my accommodations moved else where which they did. I WILL NEVER BOOK BEST WESTERN AGAIN. I WOULD RATHER SLEEP ON THE STREET. The supervisor's attitude was especially NASTYYYYY! She even refused to come to the phone to speak with a hotwire agent to assist us with moving our booking. Do not book this hotel. I know I will patronize them again.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was not clean and did not have a shower curtain upon arrival, few blankets. The kids loved the breakfast--lots of options to choose from. It was convenient to the wedding we were attending. Kids enjoyed the pool but said it smelled and was cold. Same about the hot tub.

The good first. It is cheaper than most hotels along the Florida and I95 area of Fort Lauderdale. Still it was $180 per night so you would expect more. I disagree about safely being a concern. This hotel has an open design. Meaning that the rooms are entered and exited on hallways outside. Yes it is easy to enter but you should know that before you book it. As far as the hotel next door being a cheap hotel with unsavory people we noticed families with small children coming and going. We didn't see any drug dealers or a gang of outlaws running around. We felt safe. Also it is very close to I95 so the rooms facing that highway will be nosier. Know it before you book and ask for a room on the other wings. Being close to I95 is a plus and there is a great restaurant/bar nearby named Muddy Waters. The breakfast area was huge and had lots of room. The food was as expected and more. They kept the supplies full and the staff was helpful. It was busy and we didn't see anyone asking to see our breakfast tickets. If you leave them in the room don't complain if they ask for you to get them. Also there were at least four handicap parking spots in front of the hotel not one like another reviewer mentioned. The bad was that we had trouble getting into our room. First our passkeys had trouble opening the door. We got new passkeys and after many attempts it worked. However the next day we couldn't get in no matter how we tried. After a few walks back to the front desk (Note the A elevator didn't work so we had to walk to the other side of the hotel to use the only one working) I did this twice to get a new passkey again, to get a maintenance worker and to find out that the batteries in the lock needed changed. It took over an hour to get this corrected. Since only one elevator worked it was overcrowded and congestive in the morning. The housekeeping carts are lined up in front of it and it makes it hard to get around them. GET THE OTHER ELEVATOR FIXED PERMANENTLY! This has been a mentioned problem since last year. Overall the front desk personal were helpful and the room layout with a separate sitting area was great. The heated pool and hot tub looked clean and inviting but we didn't have time to enjoy it. The price was higher than we normally pay for a hotel but in the Fort Lauderdale area it is cheaper so you overlook a lot of these issues. We probably would go back.

If you are looking for a place to stay that is clean, centrally located to various cities and has rooms that have what you need, I.e. fridge, microwave, etc. this will suit your needs. It was nice to have an extra room for drop in family members. Also, the breakfast had something for everyone's taste.

This hotel is not the best if you are used to British standards, rooms were not clean, breakfast nasty. The location was just off the highway so lots of road noise. I checked out early as couldn't take anymore. Unless you are on a tight budget, lots more choice in the area.

Had to spend one night in Deerfield Beach and searched many hotels this place was$90 cheaper than any place else I could find. To some degree you get what you pay for as it needs serious updating and the breakfast was mediocre. The pool area is very nice and the staff was great.

Hotels are expensive in south Florida and this was about the most reasonably priced one we could find. If you have more to spend, I'd suggest another place. Customer service was less than friendly or knowledgeable. Elevator was broken during our entire stay so we walked the stairs. Good sized room but very basic. Needs uplift. Pool didn't look inviting. Breakfast was standard for this type of place.

The best word I can use to describe this hotel is "fine". It's not grand or exciting by any stretch but the beds are clean. Tje rooms are soundproof from each other, just not from outside noises, like people and cars on parking lot or traffic on the highway. Easily accessible though, literally right off I-95 l. Friendly staff, if not overly efficient. Spent a week here with my partner, the couch was saggy and looked dirty, the leather armchairs we're not wiped down at all over the duration of our stay. I know this because there were crumbs on the seat when we got there and they were there when we left. The beds and linens were clean as was the bathroom, but the overall suite could use a dusting every now and again. Check your room for a key to the safe before leaving for the day, we didn't have one and needed to wait until 11 am when someone came in with one. Door to the balcony was off the track and very hard to open and close... ask for a room not overlooking the back parking lot as there is a Lot Of noise from trucks in the lot between 3-6 am. Our room keys stopped working randomly which was frustrating but the front desk daytime and evening staff were helpful and friendly. We would stay here again for the convenience. I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for high class hotel, but if you're looking for clean sheets and comfortable beds, this place is great.

There is so much noise from cars and trucks on i-95 and SW 10th St(?). And, on occasions the racing motor cycle! Oh! Location is excellent for a quick stay. Say one night, business or travel thru. No beach view. No walking area. Not really comfortable for eating outside. Price was reasonable. Service was excellent. Plenty of parking spaces for cars, trucks. Not romantic. Just saying. Breakfast repeats every other day or so. Nothing fancy, yet good. Great for me. I did not want a beach front, at double the price. My budget was good here. I was solo. I'm sorry.

We were a group of 6 people. Our friend got stuck in an elevator, was ringing the emergency alarm and no help was sent! The rest of the 5 of us had to carry down our extremely heavy luggages down 5 flights of stairs all by ourselves. When we reached the lobby, we could hear the alarm going off but the person at the front desk was just standing there and not doing anything. The elevator had to physically be opened (by the front desk clerk) and our friend had to jump out as it wasn't even fully landed. Didn't ask if we were ok, didn't offer any compensation, absolutely horrible customer service! We were told the manager would call us and we have YET to hear back. I called myself and even left a voicemail and still haven't heard back. This is absolutely ridiculous! Maybe once I get a lawyer involved then someone will have the decency to call back!

"Dissapointing stay"

This was probably my 5 or 6th time staying at this hotel, but I think it will be the last time I stay here. Had a very uncomfortable experience at breakfast one morning where a staff member followed me around and stared at me quite rudely as I was getting 2 coffees and a few other breakfast items. I felt so uncomfortable and insulted. I finally asked if there was a problem and she replied no, but as I was leaving she approached me and asked if I had a breakfast voucher. She could clearly see I was a guest, I showed her my room keys, and informed her I had several vouchers and I would go to the room and bring one back for her. I told her that her manner toward me was inappropriate and frankly I did not appreciate that behaviour towards me. I complained to Martha the manager, but got no satisfaction from her, I did not find her apology to be sincere. I will never go back or recommend anyone to this hotel ever again. very poor service and one very inappropriate female staff member in the breakfast lounge.

I arrived late night and the desk clerk was so helpful. I was starving because my Virgin America flight ran out of food. He gave me a flyer to a local pizzeria that delivered until 3am. My room was very nice considering I used Hotels.com. Usually, they give you the smallest room possible and this was just the opposite. My room had a living room attached with a microwave and refrigerator. Everything appeared clean. The hotel is located parallel to the freeway, so there's a lot of noise from the freeway. The next morning I placed the do not disturb sign on my door. When I returned, it had been removed and the cleaning people had gone into my room, , which really irritated me. I asked for another do not disturb sign, but never received it. When I asked the operator she seemed peeved that I asked for one. She was definitely not as nice as the night guy. Breakfast was very nice. The staff was accommodating and helpful. Overall it was ok for the price I paid for it, but if you need peace and quiet, that is not your place. They do offer earplugs in the bathroom for the freeway noise.

The receptionist hung up on me. Completely unacceptable. I was trying to explain that I made a reservation by accident and she was beyond rude. I would not recommend doing business with this hotel as you can see many other negative reviews.

Deerfield Beach is not actually on the beach. We were quite disappointed in the hotel after reading reviews that rated it so highly, so I will go with pros and cons as different things work for different people. From our perspective: Pros: Front Desk Staff very pleasant and helpful. Average hot/cold (food temperature could be better) breakfast with clean and modern area. Average comfortable for bed 2 room suite with a pocket door closing between the bedroom and living room Large bathroom with plenty of hot water No carpeting. Nice pool area. Cons Out side corridors 3/4 inch gap under the door. You can seriously see daylight between the door frame from the handle down and across the bottom. We placed a towel at the base of the door and another on top of it...up the side to be sure nothing crawled in. This is Florida! Road noise due to location is horrific from 95 which sits adjacent to the hotel. Bring earplugs. A/C unit very loud and located in bedroom. Plan to sleep without running the unit.You wont sleep even with earplugs if it is on. Bathroom fan very loud and very low toilet not up to ADA standards. Ok if your young but for older people difficult to use. No seating on balcony. Dated furniture. We placed a blanket over our sofa. Listed as no pets but two dogs running loose in pool area. We were told the woman had a service dog but I am quite sure you only get to have one.

This hotel isn't noting good. Photos look nothing like rooms stayed two days. Sheets had stains in them. Room wasn't cleaned right. I stayed here a few years ago and I can tell that the service has downgraded.

First of all the room wasn't ready until 4:00. This was after they emailed us wanting to know what time we would be arriving. What was the point?? We accessed the room via an elevator at the back of the property where anyone off the street could have entered. When we got to the room, it had an awful stale odor of cigarettes-musty and smelly. The furniture was shabby. How thoughtful that we were given ear plugs in the bathroom. Oh! This was because our terrace overlooked 95, although our view was obstructed by a huge billboard. The one positive was that the employee at the front desk and the manager were understanding to our complaints and very helpful.

I'm in hospitality industry. Took me just one overnight to figure out why you have to turn in a coupon per person per day to get the free breakfast. AT check in if you are two people for 4 nights you get 8 coupons. Each person turns in one each time they go to breakfast or is asked to leave. Front desk tried to pretend it was necessary because the breakfast was run by a separate company. But really it's EXACTLY like any free breakfast at another motel and is definitely their own space and employees. The thing is that there is a quality inn right next door sharing the same back parking lot. It's obvious that the Quality Inn made a contract with public housing. In front of that Quality Inn you see people who look like junkies smoking cigarettes. Coming and going from that Quality Inn and walking around the parking lot behind, right where you park, you see junkies walking around. Ifthey do go indoors, they go into the next door Quality Inn. The breakfast coupon nazi patrol is obviously the solution they figured out to keep those people from coming into Best Western for breakfast. Other than that, the highway noise from I-95 is loud all day.....It's super loud at night when all else is quiet and you lay down to sleep. The doors/windows aren't sound proofed in the least. The room will always sound like you have a window wide open. So for me who falls asleep in 15 minutes it took about 45 minutes. There's more: like a run down look, slow backed up shower drains, junkies walking around parking lot you use. Only 1 Handicapped spot in front which is always full so that you are forced to park in back where the Quality Inn residents are. The Quality Inn residents are a little scary if you're assisting a slow cain using elderly out of the car and to the hotel door or taking kids out of car seats (although they never harassed me overtly, it just horrified my elderly mom). Very friendly staff. Very friendly. Very clean room and sheets. Very comfortable mattress which didn't aggravate my sensitive back at all, very comfortable pillows which didn't aggravate my sensitive neck at all, and new perfect condition dust mite covers over all mattresses. Room itself is fine...no, actually rather good really. Environment is all wrong.

After a lomg drive i finally arrived to this Best Western.Looking forward to a long sleep and a well rested afternoon. I have stayed in this hotel before, the breakfast is not what it used to be. But dispite the plain breakfast thats not the hotel did to make me write this review. "Do not disturb" sign means to me what it says. But here at this Best Western it does not, I placed the sign in the door like i always do after coming back from my morning run and breakfast, showered, and went to sleep. After a few minutes of rest and harmony i hear knocks on thd door. Waking me up from a deep sleep, i walk to thd door aand before opening, a note from the room services saying to call if services needed. I checked, "Do not disturb " still hanging in the door. Head back to sleep and finally did. 30 minutes into my sleep i wake up from a call on the room phone. The hotel manager calls, checking in to make sure the "Do not disturb" sign it was there placed by me, we had a long discussion about it. This hotel does not belive on the sign. Their policy is to knock, slip a note and call the room when they see the "do not disturb" sign. DO NOT DISTURB!!!

When we arrived a couple of hours early we were told by Jessie that the rooms were not ready even before she knew our name. Then she said oh I am on the wrong day and then she said the same. So we left and came cane back about 4 hours later. There was a different girl at the desk. She checked us in and I gave her a different credit card than the one that held the room (when I booked the room through the hotel I was told that would not be a problem. The girl took the new credit card and said she used it and not the one that held the room so I believed her. Well a few days later I checked the cards and she did the opposite of what I asked, so I called them the desk and Jessie answered the phone, I explained to her what took place and she started to tell me well if you read what is on the website you can will see that we charge the day of your arrival could be ever 3am, I told Jessie that and told her that was not what I was told and that was not what happened, the card was not charged until 6:31 as I was standing in front of another girl. Well then she hangs up on me. I immediately called back and it took her 20 times before she picked up the phone, I said to her that she was very rude hanging up on me and she said Mam you will have to come down here. I did and she must have called her manager since she knew I was coming down. I explained to the manager my problem and she started to say about the website and policy and I stopped her and told her the wrong card was charged at the time I was standing at the counter. After that she did not have much time to say, she reversed the charge on the wrong card and charged the right card. I told her about my experience with Jessie and she did not have too much to say. Breakfast was not good at all, the coffee was the worst ever, we only went twice and had to go out to different places for breakfast. One of the ladies taking care of the buffet did not wear gloves when putting the utensils out, she handled them not by the handles. With all the sicknesses going around that was not the way to put them out, a lot of germs. So with all this and I have more but I think this tells how our stay was. One mire thing going back to trying to check in early I asked Jessie if I could use the ladies room before we left she said no they are cleaning it!!!!

I absolutely hate leaving one-star reviews. There's usually *some* redeeming quality of anywhere you go that warrants at least two stars... but alas, I didn't even have the chance to find it here. Despite the fact that I'd prepaid for my reservation, I was turned away at 12:30 a.m. due to a probable equipment malfunction, and the hotel refuses to refund me for my reservation. After arriving on a late flight at the airport, I went to the hotel to check in and saw the person at the front desk around 12:30 in the morning. He ran my credit card in case of any incidental charges, but when he did, nothing appeared on the reader. He told me my card was denied. I tried a second card and received the same response. I'd never had any trouble with either card – I'd used my primary card 15 minutes before at the airport with no problem, and I'd even put in a travel notification on my primary card – so I called up the cardmember service number while at the front desk. They told me they weren't seeing any attempts to charge the card at all. The person at the front desk told me that there was nothing they could do – including offer me a refund – and turned me away. With no choice, I ended up booking a different hotel for over twice as much. Over the next weeks I was in regular contact with Best Western about the incident, and they said that the decision to refund was up to the individual hotel. Mysteriously whenever it was contacted about the refund, the hotel said that a manager needed to deal with the issue... and the time when a manager would be present kept sliding into the future no matter when they were called. Both of my credit card companies said that there were no attempts to charge the card from the hotel, and I learned that it was probably an equipment failure at the hotel that caused it to happen. I personally think there should be a secondary option for incidental charges; I would've gladly left a deposit in cash, for example. But I paid for my room and the hotel didn't let me stay, even though it was no fault of my own and there was nothing else I could have done. It was a start to a Florida trip that I wouldn't wish on anyone, and for that reason I urge anyone strongly against choosing the Best Western Plus Deerfield Beach Hotel & Suites. Choose somewhere else and save yourself the trouble (and money).

spacious rooms, had temperature issues. housekeepers could have done better with towel replacement and shampoo. good parking, and good check in process. also had computers available to print boarding passes. this hotel was very crowded which impaired a good breakfast experience.

We had an accessible room that was spacious and had accessible toilet and fixtures. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was fine for its class of hotel. the staff were very helpful when we needed help. They have a little area with drinks and snacks you can buy as well as a bar for evening. There is a nice view of the canal and pool, but only from the walkway, not the rooms. It can be quiet if you are not on the highway side. The fan was extremely noisy when we came, but we got it toned down. The toilet kept running, but I hope they fixed it after we left. Stayed there one night on way to cruise. They do not have airport or cruiseport shuttle, but it was near our relatives. Nice pool and hot tub area. Had refrigerator and microwave in room.

I recently stayed at this property. The hotel room smelled horrible. Not one machine at all worked in the fitness center. Kids were making loud noises all night long in the pool. And to make things really bad, I'm still itching from just laying in the bed for 20 minutes. I left the property at 11pm and refused to refund me.

The hotel is located right next to the 95 south.That explains why they give free earplugs in the rooms.Noisy! We had a King size bed that was very comfortable.Two televisions, 1 in the couch area the other in the bedroom. There was funny smell when we first came in but that might have to do with the fact the pool was right below us.What I didn't like was the elevator at the back of the building is accessible to anyone off the street?! I've actually never seen this before.Did not feel safe in that aspect. Overall, this is a great place to stay a night, but wouldn't recommend spending a week vacation here.

I enjoyed my two nights stay at the above named hotel, my daughter and I was excaping and picked the Deerfield to excape too. The location is in an area that is near I-95 and shopping. Even though we did not do any shopping it was a relaxing stay.

This Best Western is a nice place as far as the property and the rooms are concerned. BUT I-95 is right behind the swimming pool area. The traffic is loud. Otherwise, the location is good. The rooms are suites with pull out sofas. The breakfast room is clean and food is good.

Very clean. Property is well kept and offers many perks: free parking, internet, (very good) breakfast. Personnel are well spoken and professional. Public areas nicer than corridors, which are motel-ish, but okay Rooms are nice. Good value and location. We are in area frequently and have stayed at many hotels in area. This will probably be our go-to in the future.

The accomodations were very nice, and the suite was very comfortable. The hotel offers many nice amenities. A nice pool, and attentive front desk personnel, as well as good housekeeping services. We needed assistance with the TV at first, and a maintenance man arrived in minutes from our call and assisted us with the TV. Internet service was good. We enjoyed our stay. Nice area, many things to do. Butterfly World and Deerfield beach were fantastic. Also the Christmas Display at Tradewinds Park.

We always have chosen this hotel as it's ideal location to family makes it a good choice for our visits. This visit we happened to arrive in town earlier than expected which thankful made a huge difference because we had some room issues Problem Room #1 the bathroom door would not stay closed and room had musty smell. Rate was not cheap enough for me to overlook. Hotel moved us to second room Room#2 the bed was so damaged it was sagging in and bed was not completely made. Hotel moved us to third room Room#3 was what we came to expect from our previous visits with no issues. Hotel staff went out of their way to correct room issues. Hot breakfast is very nice bonus as well. I will stay here again I just hope hotel can offer a good room the first time for guest as many travel long hours and look forward to a clean and comfortable room... the first time around.

Staff not nice. Room not clean. Beds were horrible. No lock on balcony door. Did not let us check in 45 minutes early. This was a business trip and I will not stay here again. At check in they forgot to give us breakfast coupons then tried to charge us for breakfast.

Possibly the worst experience I've had with a hotel and I haven't even stayed yet. I made a reservation at this hotel and I called to have a authorized guests to check in for me. It turns out they gave away my reservation to another guest because they thought we had the similar names. The front desk agent just changed all of the guest information without even confirming the correct reservation was being used. Not only did they not compromise my credit card information to another guest but they did not follow procedures to ensure information was kept confidential. This a major violation to my personal information privacy and I feel other guests information could be comprised with the carelessness of their staff. To make matters worse, the front desk agent didn't even say sorry for the mistake and even had the audacity to say that there was no mistake since they made a different reservation for me. Very unprofessional how things were handled at this hotel.

"Good but NOT a PLUS"

A tremendous opening with an appealing-look BW-Plus and a front desk clerk named Jessy (Jessie)- professional-cordial-pleasant-sincere-and real--a plus signing us in. A room with fine furniture-pleasing non-carpeted flooring-very clean bathroom/shower area-and a nice-clean-firm-upper class bed-two very nice TV's. Then a TV Channel Guide not working and maintenance had NO clue how to remedy the no prograaming issue. An in-room chair on rollers which broke while sitting in it sending me to the floor (NO-no suing nor lawsuit) then the same type chair not working in the Business Center area...Tried to get someone's attention since there was NOT one person staffing the front desk at approx 11:15-11:30 pm on Friday evening Sept. 22nd except a black lady with a phone stuck to her ear in the back room. When approached she was indifferent-rude-knew nothing and had a care-less attitude. This p.m. clerk Ericka couldn't or wouldn't help with the issue until confronted which was needed but unneeded! The phones outdated as a message button was flashing but when "65"pressed as directed NO MESSAGE only a busy signal. When notified no one knew how to get that red flashing on the phone to quit.....Our daughter phoned twice stating that the phone rang and rang and rang and no one anwered then called us on our cell phone. Breakfast-food mediocre: The pool area: beautifully landscaped and clean but very few lounge chairs (6). The bar area is there but it is not at all inviting nor appealing..like nobody really is making an effort to make it work. The elevator by the lobby is the absolute slowest and has a problem as it approaches the 5th floor with a scary-shaking-sound before it comes to a stop---maybe some maintenance and/or service would be nice...All in all this place needs someone to really take an interest and actually experience some of the above...maybe get out and see what paying guests see and experience...That works if you want to be a PLUS!!

First off, I think this was a good value. $89, living room, bedroom, balcony, pool and jacuzzi, free breakfast... I would stay here again Couple things to be aware... 1. Families, it's not on the beach. That's a 10 minute ride, 20+ to Fort Lauderdale. The good thing is your just off 95, so easy to drive anywhere you like 2. Light sleepers - it backs up to 95. They give ear plugs. It didn't bother me, I played sound of rain on my phone. If you are a light sleeper, request rooms in the front half (under 34, regardless of the floor) 3. Breakfast snobs... Cracker Barrel is just on the other side of 95. Free breakfast isn't bad, make your waffle, bacon, eggs plus normal continental stuff Message me if you have any questions. Thursday 8/17/17 my family and I checked into the hotel. We stayed their every single weekend . Friday night we ordered pizza and when we were finish I had placed the pizza box on the garbage by the hotel elevator because I did not want the garbage in the room. Saturday the following day we left The hotel the whole entire day and came back at night to a sign on our door saying that the do not disturb sighn was on the door and they couldn't clean the room witch we did NOT put it on the door but it was okay. When I entered my room I noticed that pizza box that I put outside was laying back on the counter in my room. I immediately called the front desk and made a complaint the lady at the front desk said she would notify the manager. Which she did not. Sunday we left and my boyfriend ended up getting charged an extra $250 . I contacted the hotel asking why we got charged an extra $250 on top of $280. They said their was damage and smoking evidence in the room . I immediately drove myself over to the hotel for the manager to show me pictures of marijuana in bags in the coffee mug Telling me that those were my bags of marijuana . I am COMPLETELY DISGUSTED in the fact that this hotel would frame me of bringing drugs into my room when I had a 1 year old with me. The manager proceeded to tell me that Saturday the police had to come and pick up the marijuana evidence . But yet Saturday night we slept their and was not notified of this at all. Yes I contacted the police on this matter . It's crazy to me that that pizza box ended up back inside the room when we were not there and all of a sudden marijuana pops up in the coffee mug . This place is money hungry . I am very very upset that I wasted so much money at this hotel every weekend for them to try to frame me. Smh never ever again I advise anyone that Dosent want to get framed for marijuana to not come to this hotel !!!!

I'm rating this 5 stars based on my expectations. Obviously this isn't a 5 star hotel, it would be priced as such if it were. Location We needed to stay somewhere easily accessible and this was perfect. We ended up not even getting a rental care on just relying on Lyft. We were very close to Boca Ratón and the beach. We were about 30 mins from PBI airport and 25 from FLL. Ammenenties Pool was a perfect size. There were never more than 5 people in it at a time and plenty of lounge chairs. There was a gym and laundry room in the building. Breakfast every morning from 7am-10am with plenty of choices. Staff The front desk associate, I believe her name was Marianna checked us in super quickly and explained everything. She was very sweet and funny. Everyone we saw at the hotel was very friendly which was nice. Rooms The rooms are big. We reserved a king sized room with sofa bed. These rooms all have separate living room area with two TVs. Bathrooms are big. Everything was very clean and nothing looked worn. Mini fridge and microwave available in room. Overall I would stay again. And I will definitely recommend.

The Beach was about 10 to 15 minutes away, very beautiful beach, great parking, nice area. Great to go fishing at the Peer, if your looking for more deep fishing it was about 20 minute ride and great people. My husband went with my two sons and they caught red snapper, king fish and other fish, on a slow season, not to many people they said for about $40.00 bucks. Not bad at all, The hotel was very good , room are spacious and comfortable. They have microwave and mini refrigerators , I think a little bigger then the small mini I usually see. They clean your room everyday, Elevator was a little shaky, but they have stairs if you are not to good with Elevators, Good hot breakfast, with waffle maker and pancake maker , time is good to last until 10am. Pool is good and hot tub was great , very hot. They give free popcorn for the kids. Just make sure you let them know exactly who is coming with you so they can give you the breakfast voucher if not you might have to pay for breakfast. This was a great family trip will go again soon.

I arrived and was pleasantly greeted, I stayed at the building facing the 95 so i could park around back and just walk over to the elevator. The room was clean and roomy, I thought the decor was fine, and the furniture was in good condition. I stayed for three days and it was quiet and uneventful, just the way you would want a hotel stay. The balcony was tiny and cramped, but there are larger ones if you would like you can request that. All in all, for the accommodations (which included breakfast), I think this was a great value. The location was great for me, i had business downtown Ft Lauderdale and was able to make the run up and down the 95 very smoothly. I would recommend this hotel, and i would most definitely stay here again.

Always use this Best Western when staying in the Pompano Beach area. Staff here are always upbeat and fun. Love the easy access to I-95. Now that I have stayed here multiple times some easy shortcuts as well. Pool always clean, chairs comfortable too!

Good place to stay but sometimes you get a noisy crowd staying for days. Breakfast was just okay...usual fare. For some reason the price was good but it attracted a less desired set of people being noisy and roudy especially in the pool. Not drying off enough and running around in the halls.

The hotel has two room suites which are beautiful and newly renovated rooms overlooking the pool and very near to I-95 and Deerfield Beach. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is great. The pool is nice and clean so is the hotel.

We went to breakfast in the morning when we returned the door did not work. We got new keys, still nothing. We had a very important meeting and went to the front desk. We were told the maintenance man would be to work in 35 minutes. This hotel has no backup plan if your door stops working after hours. We were lucky that we only had to wait 30 minutes, imagine if we got locked out at 2 am. Totally unacceptable

This was my second trip within a 8 month period to this hot, the privacy of the area is great, the free breakfast is also a plus, and the size of the rooms are also great! More importantly the rooms are very clean! So I am happy to know that the hotel remained at a 4 star level!

My daughters and I had to find a hotel to stay in due to a leak in our condo. I booked us at Best Western Plus. It was a little further from where we live, but the price was more reasonable than others closer to us. We were greeted warmly by the friendly front desk staff and our room was spacious and clean, very clean. We ended up staying four nights, and though we were out of our routine, it was as comfortable as it could have been. I have recommended this hotel to friends and family and will continue to do so.

Would recommend to all. I did not get to enjoy the breakfast as we were so comfortable that we overslept, but if it is anything like the rest of the motel I'm sure it was wonderful;.

The sheets were not changed and there were hair from the previous people who stayed in room. This is the second time that the toilet was clogged. We had to moved because there was a roach crawling on the wall and maintenance wanted to spray and due to health reason, we had to change room.

Hotel was clean and nice, no carpet which I love it. The only downside is the sofa bed that is broken and my kids ended up sleeping in our bed. Breakfast has lots of options. Close to freeway and far from everything.

Rooms need to be updated. Very noisy as rooms face the pool. Beds and furniture were uncomfortable. Bathroom wasn't clean. Pool area was left a mess and wasn't cleaned on Sunday morning. Location was the only plus.

The pool area was fine. The rooms were clean. It is not near the beach. And it was so close to I-95 that the outdoor noise was a constant din. But while this couldn't be helped, the rest was under the control of the hotel and it failed in all the areas in my title above

"Get what you pay for......"

Check in was alright. Elevators did not work after first day. You had to walk to the other side of building to get the other elevator. Internet was lousy, disconnected too often. Old furnishings in rooms. Base boards needed cleaning. After a day out and returned to room, there were no towels. Called the front desk and was told to come down and get towels or wait till after 11:00 PM and security would drop off the towels. I went down and picked up the towels. Did have a coffee machine, refrigerator and microwave oven. Breakfast was OK. One day it was horrible and the other day it was mediocre. There are better motels in the area but like I said before, you get what you pay for.

We booked it last minute ..... what a wonderful experience. After a long time seen a very clean hotel. Room are new and smell good. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Lovely hot breakfast layout. Would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Deerfeild.

Nice clean hotel, pool, hot tub, room has everything you would want, frig, micro, balcony...over looking the parking lot, for us...not what we would then want to use...sofa bed and king bed separate room...but bath in in king room... next to interstate...lot of car and truck noise. Staff would rather answer telephone than deal with person in front of them...tired and bad back and trying to check in. Restaurant and also lounge both closed on Sunday... my BW search was for restaurant on premises...we had to drive about 60 miles RT to fin d decent place to eat.

Maids are sorry and stole my boyfriend laptop. I wouldn't recommend this hotel period. The staff is terrible and I wouldn't stay here if I was given a month free stay. Breakfast was horrible and cold.

We reserved 2 nights here and added a third since we were visiting family and friends. We used to stay here 15-20 years ago when it was under different management and thought it would be nice to stay again. Boy was I wrong! Check in was fine and the young lady at the front desk was very nice. Told me what a great rate I had gotten. Little did I know I probably could've gotten the same rate at a 5 star hotel, but it was Thanksgiving ! We got to our room and it was very dated with a musty smell. But we were tired . We called the front desk because the toilet kept running,they sent someone right away and it was fixed, so we thought. Breakfast was ok, continental, so you can't expect greatness, but it was packed it took 30 mins to put a coffee and make a waffle and they were out of waffle mix. I had woken up with a scratchy throat, thinking nothing of it I stopped and got cold medicine. We were getting ready to go to the beach when we picked up our bags from under the suitcase stand and everything, bag, towels bathing suit was wet! We called the front desk and someone came, wet vacuumed the floor, took off the an panel and left not saying anything, off we went for our day. We came back, went to bed but as soon as I was back in the room my head filled up. I was up several times during the night coughing and using the bathroom , trying not to wake my husband/daughter. But the toilet kept running. My husband got up, went to breakfast, and the toilet was still Running. It was then that we decided that I was getting sicker and the mold/mildew in the room was making it worse. I called to try to cancel and the booking agency called the hotel and they refused a refund for the third night. So I went to the front desk and checked out and asked for a refund which was denied, I asked about a credit for a future visit and when the front desk girl asked her manager she said no/nothing. Also while I was checking out someone else was checking out and that front desk person( who originally checked me in) was talking about me in Spanish which I found to be very rude and unprofessional and uncalled for. Oh yes there was confusion about the rooms that she was checking out from (several rooms). Not only does this hotel need updating, it also needs some education on professionalism .

broken sofa bed. Front desk knew about it but still tried to rent it out to me Ended up having to change rooms where the AC was loud. Second room had urine around the toilet, sink was clogged, mattress was uncomfortable and made noises every time a moved in the middle of the night. The beds are too small for two adults to sleep in. Housekeepers walked up to you don't even make eye contact and say nothing to you.

Customer service was great! The pool was great for the kids. Room was very clean. Easy access to the highway. The breakfast was fresh and the area was clean. I would recommend this hotel is newly renovated.

"Golf Outing"

A group of six golfers checked in at this hotel because of the proximity to Deer Creek Golf Club. The overall experience was very good. The easiness of booking the rooms, the courteous and friendly staff. One of the members of the group encouter a problem with a sliding door. The best assett of this Hotel is the staff which always try to make your experince a pleasant one. Brakfast is included and is very good.

I was extremely satisfied with this hotel and all of its staff. They were pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Check-in was fast and pleasant. We checked in pretty early--around 1:30pm--and a room was already available for us. This despite the hotel being fully booked due to hurricane Matthew. The room was spacious and clean including the bathroom. The only issue in the room was that the A/C seemed to have a little trouble keeping the room cool. It eventually did, but it seemed to be struggling. Water pressure on the 5th floor was very good and we had plenty of hot water. The elevators are badly in need of updating. They're quick, but start out with quite a bit of a jerk. My wife tried holding the door open for someone and it nearly knocked her over! The complimentary breakfast is very good, with a wide range of selections. The location is probably not ideal for families with younger children because there is really nothing of interest within walking distance. However, it's right next to the highway and a relatively short drive to beaches.

"Not the usual visit"

We have stayed here before but were not happy this time. Upon arrival there were 2 ladies at front desk. One was named Elizabeth. She was training a new girl and never really said hello. She was curt, never smiled, and seem to resent even having to work. The new girl tried to help us check in but we could not hardly understand a word she said. She talked so fast with a foreign accent. She was trying and did seem nice though. The next day was a repeat of checking out with the same two ladies. Elizabeth was just as curt and unfriendly. We never felt welcome or that our business was appreciated. We found a lot of maintenance issues that my husband made a list of. We received an email that we would get a survey of our visit but have not gotten it. He was going to list the problems then. Maybe he will just do his own trip advisor review instead.

I came at the hotel because my mom passed away and I wanted to be alone so I can think about what I am going to do without her. I came to check in early in the morning, and this pretty girl at the front desk did the reservation and asked me why I looked so sad? I told her what happened to my mom and she replied to me 'Mr. Wolf, your mom is still alive in your heart and she would not going to feel happy to see you that way, you need to stay strong and do things good so she can be proud of you where she is at."I feel so good after I heard those kind words from her and I would like to think her for the good service, she is really positive, professional, represent the face of the company, and her smile is contagious. thank you Elizabeth and I feel really good everytime I think about what you told me.Please she needs a good promotion because it was the first time that a customer service agent treated me so kind. "Broken"

When you check into a hotel you should have no problems with a TV & refrigerator. Well that's what I encountered. The fridge was broken inside with nothing to hold any drinks in place. Was not turned on & this should have been replaced months ago. Had no TV on the first night. This was repaired on the 2nd. day. The fridge was replaced that night with another that didn't work right all my drinks were frozen the next day. Finally a new fridge was brought in that worked. I was given a 20 percent discount for the 1st. 2 nights. I had to call corporate and I asked for 1 night at no charge. Hotel refused to do this. This is no way to take care of a platinum member. Hotel maintenance is the key here.

"Distasteful hotel"

My family and i spent 5 days at this hotel Labor Day weekend Sept. 1st-6th 2016. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist by the name of Vanessa( i think). I express to her that i have read many reviews on the hotel both negative & positive. Vanessa assured me we will be pleased with our stay. First let me begin by saying the first night the tub was not cleaned at all the soap scum ring was around the tub. My husband and i went down to the front desk to complain after placing 3 unanswered phone calls only to find the reception area empty. we rang the intercom/bell and screamed hello no one was available to help us. This cause us to pack up the kids and shoot to walmart to get cleaning supplies and scrubbers. Second on the list was the dead roach in our room rm 532 for 3 days. We brought it to the front desk receptionist Elizabeth each day as she apologized and assured us the room will be thoroughly cleaned each time. The receptionist never offered us to change of room or upgrade. On the third day of the roach being present finally the housekeeping manager by the name Pilar came by to ask if the room was cleaned accordingly. We explained to her for three days we have been complaining about a dead roach under the table. Pilar called the housekeeper back into the room and began to scream and reprimand her in front of us. I intervened and said to Pilar that was very unprofessional and she is not to blame three housekeepers cleaned the room prior to her and the roach was still present. Third on the list was the pool and hot tub. The pool was extremely filthy and the hot tub was just as cold as the pool. When we bought the pool issue to the attention of the receptionist she explained a cleaning company comes in sporadically to clean the pool and there was nothing the hotel staff can do. My children were highly disappointed so we visited other family's hotel to utilize the pool. This was an unfortunate situation especially when we were in town for a family get together. We advise the rest of family not to stay at the Best Western so they made reservation at the holiday Inn express. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone i was highly disappointed and disgusted by this hotel but we made the best of it. "Bad lighting around hotel building and parking"

My sister was in town on business and needed a room for one night close to me so we could spend time together. We checked her in mid-day, put her luggage in the room and left. The room was okay for the night needed. At around 2 am we followed her to the hotel, and walked her to the room. There was no one at the front desk, and the area was not well lit at all. The building itself is painted that crappy dark color which makes it look even worse. I'm told the bed was comfortable, but I won't be putting any more visiting relatives in this hotel.

"Nice for the price"

The Best Western Plus is a very clean and comfortable hotel and is a good value for the price. The breakfast is pretty good and included in the price. There is also a nice pool and hot tub. The exercise room is a bit small and stuffy. There is a decent wifi connection is also included for free.

"Noisy hotel"

If you are sensitive to noise, you may find it a little difficult here. The a/c is constantly humming in the room. Noisy if you are on the side facing the highway and noisy when kids are around the pool. This is very well suited for families with young kids. However, they have a great staff in place.

We were looking for a place to stay to visit family living in Pompano Beach. This location was perfect for us and some of the extras were nice, too. We enjoyed the pool, the hot tub, the business center, and the continental breakfast. The room was updated in the last handful of years but it's an older property and shows some of its age. None of this was a huge concern for us. The only major problem we had is that our room was not cleaned during our entire stay (Thu-Sun). It appears as if someone found a do not disturb sign blowing around outside, assumed it was ours and mistakenly put it on our door the first day. The second day we spoke with the cleaning crew and they were supposed to clean the room but it didn't happen. Mistakes happen so I called the GM (Martha) and explained to her the situation and how a member of her staff, Patrick, tried his best to help us by providing more towels each day and even removing trash the second day. Martha apologized profusely and made it right for us. Because of the proper handling of our issue, we would definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff, nice lobby ,very spacious bedrooms, two tv in the room, if you have kids is good for you. They can be at the pool up to 11 pm ,and we saw lots of kids have fun at the pool. The only bad part is that they need more parking space.

"Relaxing weekend"

Just got back from spending three wonderful relaxing days at the Best western plus hotel in Deerfield Beech .I was checked in by a very lovely young lady at the front desk, she was fast and efficient as usual. The double rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is a great bonus,hot and delicious, and you can pretty much eat as much as you can handle. I keep coming back to this little gem, because I know it's clean comfortable, close to all the major attractions and the price is right. I look forward to my next visit.

Spent 3 nights @ this location, breakfast was good enough..not great but ok. Customer service was 3.9 out of 5...I had to wait on two occasions for someone to come to the front desk otherwise front desk personnel were great! Very clean comfortable and spacious room! The best Best Western visited out of about 4 so far. Quiet secluded area in New Port Dr business area...General stores like publix and walmart neighborhood market and other fast food eatery about 2min drive by military rd.

My stay was very enjoyable. However I would suggest that the hot tub be a little more warming. Also that you offer a little more variety on the breakfast menu and have items for smaller children to enjoy as well. I also would suggest having a towel area near the pool where guest could excess them easier.

I wish I could go to another Best Western hotel or get a refund of my hard earned money. Room was 80 degrees all night and morning. I don't care so much for me, but for my infant who was damp to the touch. Calls to front desk 7, 9 & 10 o'clock advised maintenance man was on his way up. Never arrived. Management please contact me. I am loyal to the brand, this is honestly the first BW I've cried at because it was unbearable. The room has great amenities but what's the point when you can't move because it's too hot.

When we arrived it was a quick check in. I booked the hotel online, so this was good. I stayed at the hotel for 7 days.The room was clean and spacious with a seating area, that had a sofa bed. It was nice for the price range, and although the hotel was off the highway in the rooms you dont hear any noise. Breakfast was standard but nice......eggs (sometimes omlets), waffles, cereal, good coffee etc...... The cons of this booking, house keeping took a little long to clean the room. A day before we had a no disturb sign on the door, however one day we removed our sign placing it in the room...house keeping put another on the door and didn't clean the room. However after a visit to the front desk the room was cleaned the following day. Also there was so much bleach in the hotub, the smell was overpowering.. Overall our stay at the property was good.

This is an outside entrance motel type place, not a hotel. Looked a little run down at first glance, but rooms were decent. Pool is a good size, breakfast selection is good. Staff is professional and friendly.

I arrived very late in the evening and the lobby was crowded. Julie, at the front desk, was doing her best to accommodate a large group of folks from Pakistan or India who not only had a little trouble with the English language but also, apparently, providing a working credit card. Julie was patient and professional and was eventually able to get them situated. Nice job! My check-in was seamless. This is a fairly large hotel with several conference rooms/meeting spaces and five floors of sleeping rooms to accommodate those clients. I was on the 5th floor with a nice view and somewhat removed from the traffic noise. But the din of passing motorists on I-95 was a constant companion, day and night, and one that I was unable to get used to. Fortunately, inside of my room, it wasn't a distraction. Entering my room I was immediately impressed with the laminated "wood" floor; no carpeting throughout the unit. The room temperature seemed a bit warm to me (the thermostat indicated 75°) so I set the desired temperature to 70° ~ but the temperature never changed. Perhaps that is at least partly due to the large gap under the door (through which my new companion, a tiny gecko, was able to enter). I was impressed by the decor and layout of the two-room suite and I can see the possibilities for small groups (I'm sure our Pakistani friends did too as I think there were five in their party). I did notice a gap between the cushions and the sofa back which I suspect is due to either a design flaw or the use of a smaller than recommended sized mattress. Speaking of mattresses it should be noted that the beds are double/standards, not the larger queen size; but, more than adequate for my needs. The bathroom was spacious enough, and well designed, but the tub calking and tile grouting was substandard. Also, I noticed a "bubble" on the ceiling above the shower. The desk table and chair in the front room were well-located with adequate lighting and electrical outlets. Breakfast was a bit of a sour note. The good news is that breakfast is provided until 10:00 a.m. The bad news is that you may have to elbow your way through the crowd to scrape the bottom of the pots to find something substantial to eat. I went to breakfast at 9:00 a.m. to find just over 60 people trying to squeeze past each other to find something they could dine on. I settled for a little bacon, a powdered egg patty, and the last of the tasteless grits (a daring attempt, but a fail nonetheless). After finding a lone table near the hotel front desk, I returned for a yogurt and some apple juice; I couldn't bring myself to get into the long line for a waffle. There was a TV in the area tuned to a cartoon network instead of a news channel; irrelevant as it was impossible to hear anything in that uncomfortably noisy setting. Unfortunately, this unpleasant breakfast experience made the difference to me between a "four" rating (or better) and a three. I wish I had gone to a pancake house instead. On my way to check-out I snapped a couple of pictures from just outside my room. I really wanted to like this hotel as it seems to have great potential. It is a solid "Plus" in the Best Western chain, but, there are some devilish details to be tended to.

First off, you get a lot for your buck here. My room was huge, with a separate living room area, microwave, refrigerator and TWO televisions. Hardwood floors, rock-solid AC to keep out the Florida mugginess. Very friendly staff. Every time I asked a question I got a smile. Plus one heck of a hot breakfast buffet: do-it-yourself waffle/pancake makers, eggs, yogurt, cereal, sausage/bacon, grits, coffee and juices, muffins and toast. 1 minute from the highway. 10 minute drive from the beach and all the seaside restaurants. 20 minutes from a pretty cool nature center. 25 minutes from Ft Lauderdale. Would stay at this Best Western again in a minute.

But honesty, we were so tired that we eventually fell asleep without problem. The kids had their own "bedroom" by sleeping in the family common room on the sofa bed. It was great for us with a good breakfast buffet.

Stayed here for a week, hotel could be renovated because it is very out dated but overall great. It was a short Uber to the beach and restaurants, good price, and fun time. I enjoyed going by the pool and the hotel room was clean.

Next to interstate. Not very much to do when you walk around. I didn't like how the pool was in the center of the hotel so there wasn't much sun. The gym was the size of a walk in closet and there were an uneven # of dumbells. The free breakfast was delicious and the rooms were super nice. Our room included a bedroom with 2 beds and a living space with a pull out couch. The bathroom was big and the balcony was small but nice.

The hotel itself was very nice. I am a clean fanatic about hotels. This hotel is very clean. The housekeeping, Dietary staff and front desk staff were awesome. If you are afraid of cats or don't like them, this is not the place for you. I spent a lot of time in my room because of the 3 cats that are not only on the property but literally in the pool area. My first experience was with one of them curled up under the table on the patio. My next one was when I tried to relax at the pool, one of the cats came in the pool area though a fence. I could not enjoy that part of my stay. I had a couple of the staff walk me to the elevators because there hiding in plants. I know it may not be much the hotel can do but I felt it was necessary to let people know because if you not a cat person it WILL ruin your tie there. That was my only problem. The front desk staff was awesome in trying to get me back and forth. The price is good too,

Stayed there one night about a year ago before going on a cruise and it was just Ok because the price was right. Went back in April 2016, paid top dollar, and the room was not ready till after 5:00pm. Was up all night from the turnpike traffic next to the complex. A recent overnight stay in a Comfort Inn made this place feel like a dump.

"Poor service, filthy spa"

Check in was at 4 p.m., so we were not happy after a long day of driving when we arrived at 5 p.m. only to find that a room was not ready for us. "Please come back in 30 minutes" the clerk told us. So we walked outside to see the pool and spa and saw a few people in the spa with water that was so cloudy that you couldn't even see the bottom. We were shocked that anyone would even step foot in it. We had brought our bathing suits just to go in the spa after dinner, so this was disgusting. We told the clerk, and someone finally put an out-of-order sign on it. Our room was adequate and we were glad that the bed was in a separate area from the couch area and that there was a refrigerator. However, this hotel is so near the highway and there was road noise all night long. Breakfast was nice in the morning, but it didn't start until 7 a.m., which is too late when you want to get on the road to visit nearby attractions. And then, while waiting for our room, we talked with one couple who had just booked their room the night before on Trivago and paid one-half of what we paid when we booked weeks in advance. That just added to our very bad impression of the entire transaction. I almost forgot that the police also stopped by to question some guests out by the pool while we were waiting!

I felt it necessary to buy my own clorox wipes to clean the entire bathroom after finding curly black hairs and fingernail clippings in the corners! Hot tub was not at all hot for cooler evenings. Pool furniture was broken and dilapidated. If you can pay the extra money stay at the Wyndham right on the beach.

"Hidden Gem"

Hidden in a industrial park area of Deerfield Park, FL is a lovely hotel. Beautiful in side and out. After a VERY long trip from California to Florida we were beyond exhausted, and when we saw the location we were concerned about the quality of the room, but the grounds were beautifully kept, and the room, wow, when we finally dragged ourselves to the room we were overjoyed. We passed out for a few hours on the bed that was so comfortable!! and then I tip toed into the sitting area of our "suite" and relaxed while I let my hubby sleep somemore.

"Horrible Place!!!!"

I walked in to the Best Western in Deerfield Beach at 5:15pm on Thursday April 21. There were two people in front of me checking in. The first young man was checked in after 5 min and then a woman from Manasses, Virginia was checking in. This took a very long time as the front desk employee Ethan couldn't find her payment information in the computer. I have stayed here before and experienced the very same thing on 2 separate occasions, so I was not surprised. Ethan was very nice and apologized many times to her. She actually apologized to me!!! After about 20 minuets Ethan, who was very nice, figured out her issue and it was now my turn. The company I was working for paid for my room for two nights. They have done this a few times before over the last few years and yet I have always had problems here. The last time I stayed here the air condition broke and yet they kept saying it was fixed when in fact it was never fixed. Finally I fell asleep sweating at 2:30 am. This is South Florida, it gets very hot!!! Well here we go again. They did not have any record of the company paying for the room. I went to my car and showed them the receipt. Then I asked for the manager. His name was Jermaine Buford. He came out and explained that the company made a mistake and that they had not paid for the room. I know they paid for the room I was there when they did it. I had been at the front desk for 39 min already. I told him of the other problems I had there in the past and he told me very arrogantly that they had nothing to do with now... I suggested that he get me into a room and then solve this in the morning since I would be staying there for a few days. Everyone had left from the company I was working for that paid for the room so I couldn't call them until the next day. After all the other issues I have had in the past here, They should have been extra accommodating. However, the manager went on a tirade. He told me to leave the property and that I would not be staying there. I was thrown out of the hotel. I didn't deserve this treatment at all. In fact it was way over the top!!!! I have traveled all over the world and through around the USA. I have never been asked to leave a hotel. The manager proudly gave me his name and card and challenged me to get him in trouble!!! I did not get excited at all. I have had bad experiences here before and I was not at all surprised. The next morning the executive assistant at the company I was working for called their contact at the hotel and got their money back. The room was paid for exactly as I had described to them at the front desk!!! I ended up going down the street and got a room at the La Quinta Inn and within ten minutes I was relaxing in my room just like I do at countless hotels I stay in for business every year. I stayed at this other hotel for 5 days without any problems whatsoever as my work in the area took longer then expected.

"Great value for the cost"

Overall, this attractive Best Western is a good value for the cost. Recent painting both inside the rooms and the outside of the building make the appearance quite appealing. The room decor was also attractive. The pool area, a tasty, free breakfast bar, Happy Hour on Tuesday which provided complimentary wine and cheese, and close proximity to I95 further add to the appeal of this property. The one negative we had on our stay was the comfort of the beds. They were lumpy and just did not match the quality I expected after seeing the upgrades to the decor of the hotel. That being said, this property is still a good value for the money.

"Good quality hotel"

Good level hotel. Free parking (for Florida it is very rare). Breakfast is very simple, but satisfactory. Personal very friendly. One time WiFi and TV didn't work due to weather, but after two hours the problem was resolved. Overall experience was very positive.

"Overall good, but a little disappointing"

I've almost always been happy with BW properties, and for the most part, this place is no exception. Everyone was extremely happy and helpful. However: * it's a little tough to sleep when the A/C is so loud. Regardless whether it's on or off, it always runs for some reason. * TV isn't a reason to choose a hotel, but when relaxing, the cable was ALWAYS off and on, as well as wifi, which is more important for work * I couldn't ask the desk about another night's stay, because their system was down as well. (Related to other issues, most likely) Hopefully, it was just an issue for the few days I was there and not consistent. Otherwise, the rooms are in great shape and have everything you'd need!

The toilets didn't work properly from day1. Sofa bed terrible.(if you want to go to the chiropractor, stay there) Front door in lobby broken the whole week we were there. Internet the worst. Tech there everyday we were there(a week). Spoke the mgr. about the sofa bed, give us a new sofa, just as bad .,Toilets seat would not stay up.(hit the counter top in back of it) All the rooms have the same problem.HOT TUB FILITHY last morning Left message for MGR. when we got home, still waiting for return call. No sense of urgency for customer complaints.I been traveling for 42 years, worst stay ever.

Do not use an outside booking source for this hotel. Hotel will tell you that reservation was cancelled but they can reinstate it. Then they use bait and switch methodology and run a much higher charge through on your credit card. When you confront them about it they will tell you they don't honor those rates. When pushed they will state that they will run a credit through for the difference, which they never do. Manager will not speak to anyone, calls go directly to his voicemail and he refused to ever call back. Additionally pool is filthy, breakfast is lousy and the hot tub was green the entire time. The hotel's method of "dealing" with the hot tub was to turn it on indefinitely so that you can't see the green when it is "running". Do not waste your time. Lastly, the traffic from I95 will certainly keep you awake all night.

Great value for the money. Convenient location off 95. Cheap alternative to hotels closer to Fort Lauderdale and short drive to ports for cruise. Clean, modern room that are very spacious. Pool and hot tub area were well maintained and grounds provided relaxing, tropical atmosphere.

Our Audubon chapter was on a group birding trip, and about 40 of us booked this hotel using a group rate we had negotiated in advance. Everything went very well, and everyone was very satisfied. Nice modern (remodeled) hotel. We will be back!

There was absolutely no hot water in the hotel - not in sinks or showers. We traveled with another family located on a different floor and they had no hot water either. Even the coffee in the lobby was cold the next morning. Could not see the bottom of the pool or spa - suspicious color? Front desk staff of 1 person was overwhelmed and we could not check in until almost 5:00.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We did not pay a very expensive price, so when we got here I was surprised on how beautiful the rooms are. Ours has a balcony (although it faces I-95), it is still very nice. We have two TVs, one in the room and one in the room next to it, which has a nice desk and a small living room. The pool and hot tub are really nice too. Breakfast is very standard, but it has a good variety. You can make your own pancakes or waffles. The location is the best, right next to I-95. Cracker & Barrel within walking distance. The beaches are also very close. We went to the one at the end of SW10th and the one at the end of Hillsboro, both are really nice and close to the hotel.

"Average room - ambivalent staff and manager"

I am a Best Western Diamond Select member, so I hoped to set up a nice room and maybe even check in just a little early since my flight came in early and I was so tired. I do try never to expect too much or be demanding. I called at about 10:15 am and asked if it looked like I would be able to check in before 3 pm. The gal matter of factly told me "check in time is 3pm." Like I didn't know that - when in the reservation request right from the start I asked for an early check in and I know they don't HAVE to do it but I asked if they would as a courtesy. She told me that my room was empty but that it had to be cleaned and she would call me when it was cleaned. She never called and apparently didn't even give it another thought. So much for a little courtesy. It really was a hassle because I had a pounding headache and was so tired - I just wanted to settle in and relax for a bit. I went to my office and ended up working. I waited until a few minutes after 3 pm to arrive at the hotel. An unapologetic front desk staff told me I should come back in an hour or so because my room was still not clean (mind you - it was empty since at least 10 and the hotel was aware that I really wanted to check in as soon as I could). I told them I waited all day and really needed to check in and relax since it was such a long day if they could just please try and have the room cleaned. I was a bit irritated at that point because it was empty all day - it would just have taken an ounce of courtesy to have it cleaned earlier but apparently they don't do that here. I waited about a half hour longer (until about 3:50pm) and asked for Jermaine [-], who the person who posts the replies to the bad reviews people leave on Tripadvisor. I think he usually indicates that they will do better in the future if given the opportunity, yada yada yada. He was apparently there but in the back office. He never came out so I assume he does not mean it when he posts replies to the bad reviews. The front desk staff checked me into a room which I believe was not my original room and was very substandard. It was across from the highway, loud, large gap under the door, pictures and mirrors all askew and big wipe marks across the headboard. The wifi connection was weak and constantly dropped or nonexistent just to add to the frustration. They never told me when Bfast was or gave me any helpful information and there is supposed to be some kind of welcome gift they never gave me. I called Best Western to ask for intervention because of the total lack of regard for me as a hotel guest and it seemed that as a diamond select member, they were actually treating me worse! The rep told me that the manager would call me as soon as we hung up. After a half hour or waiting, I called Best Western back because no manager ever called. At that point, I decided that should move to another hotel. I travel a lot and I have not had a hotel so bad that I have left in more than 20 years but I did this time. It was so bad that even though I am thrifty, I paid last minute higher rates for another hotel. I am reviewing the other hotel too- but OMG - what a difference. The other hotel is so much better! Although the cost for the second hotel was more, if I had booked this when I booked the Best Western, the prices would have been roughly similar for a MUCH better atmosphere, service, and everything. This Best Western had every chance to make things right but didn't try one single bit. That tells me that the Tripadvisor replies to bad reviews are just hot air. I see some others have had bad experiences and I thought that I would be fine here because I consider myself easy going, understanding that things happen, and non demanding. This broke that spirit. On the up side, breakfast was a decent standard bfast and the hotel was reasonably clean. If you are staying one night and the rates are super cheap and you don't mind a hassle, this is probably fine. For any other purpose, I would choose somewhere else.

"Great for a one night stop over"

Big room with two televisions, great location, although we were lucky to stay away from the highway noise I can see why some people would complain, there should be no rooms on the other side as it is quite noisy there. We checked in around 7pm and the clerk seemed out of this world, very slow and confused, to me it looked like he swallowed the real person and pretended to be him lol, funny I know but to me it looked like that, I was glad to be out of the lobby. Thinks were much better in the morning, nice sunny day two new people at reception very friendly. Their breakfast area was nice and large. We stayed for points at this hotel on our way to Miami cruise port.

When you think nothing else could go wrong, you're wrong. We were here for 3 nights. From day 1 it just went downhill, awful room with strong odor, changed room was not ready, third room key didn't work, messed up check out procedure, etc., etc.

I was wowed by this Hotel and the Friendliness of All Staff. I felt like I was in my Personal Home from the minute I walked in the door. We arrived early due to an early flight and the Front desk attendant allowed us to relax by the pool until our room was ready. While relaxing by the pool it felt like I was in Heaven as the Pool in located in the center of the property blocked by all noise from 95 and the Landscape and Comfy outdoor Furniture they have to offer just took all Stresses away. When we received they call our room was ready I checked in and got room key and unlocked the door to a very cozy first floor room. Our room was a King bed w/ pullout Sofa. All amenities in room where in working condition and very clean. The floor is what amazed me the most as it was Pergo Flooring and not Carpet which makes the room feel even cleaner. The location was great right out the door and into the pool area. As I sat by the pool I took notice to the Cleaning Crew and the professionalism they took while performing their Job I was very impressed to see that each room that was checked they had a sticky roller brush they used to make sure the floors where cleaned and if not cleaned enough they where called back to the room to correct it. I would highly recommend this Hotel especially for Cleanliness and Friendly Staff who take pride in their Job. Thank You all for a Great Clean Stay

The hotel is of very high quality and a nice setting overlooking an inner courtyard. In spite of being close to I95 it was extremely quiet. The staff were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was a bit chaotic at the weekend, A nice pool area. Good size rooms.

This hotel is one of the nicest that I have stayed in for a long time. It is all suites and we were on the 5th floor and it was so quiet even though the I95 isn't that far away. The staff were very professional and helpful. Breakfast was very chaotic at the weekend. The pool area was pleasant. Had a small bar which is open for a few hours in the evening. Would definitely recommend it.

Multiple rooms drew from the same AC/Heating system/Duct... which ran 24/7... even though my room was comfortable, I had to endure the loud sound of this system 24/7, all 8days of my stay... to loud for me! I prefer quite comfort while in my room!

The hotel here is high quality overall, the suite we stayed in was clean, spacious, and attractive, with a nice balcony - though the view was just the parking lot. The full breakfast was good overall, though I always wonder why they use egg substitutes rather than real eggs. Customer service was decent overall, and in general everything worked smoothly when we stayed there for about a week. We were in "the quiet side" of the hotel, but I was told that if the stay was under 5 days - the guest is put in the side of the hotel which is closer to the highway which is noisier - so make note if you are staying for a short time. Also the bathroom ventilation was somewhat weak, and the shower somewhat dated, the bed was spacious, but not real comfortable - not bad, just not great. In all, a very good stay if you are in the south Florida area.

We had a decent sized suite facing inward toward the well maintained pool and hot tub. It was next to I95 and outside we could hear some traffic noise. Make sure to get a room on the west side of the hotel away from the noise. Despite the presence of the highway the hotel looked out upon a small lake that had a walking path next to it. We felt the rooms rates were reasonable given the time of the year.

Can't say enough about customer service provided by Jermaine and Bobbie. Without their assistance we could have spent the night looking for a place to stay and continue to have problems with reservation with Expedia. The Expedia agent provided no resolution to our problem after spending nearly an hour on the phone with him. A simple problem with a simple solution and he was if no help. He should be the last person to have in that position.

We stayed at this hotel for about four weeks based on a recommendation. The "Plus" means you get two full rooms with two TVs with a pocket door. The total staff were terrific (front desk, maintenance and bkft and bar people) and any problems were solved immediately. Since it right by route 95 there is a constant roar of traffic when sitting by the pool. You cannot hear it in the room. Location is good and breakfast was more then satisfactory. Although the pool is very nice the problem was sitting. There were no regular sitting chairs and the chaise was hard plastic without cushions. There was a small sitting are under an awning which was limited. Half of the umbrellas were broken. With a little effort this hotel would be a real gem.

The good: Nice place for an extended stay. Location very convenient. Nice rooms and pool. Good breakfast. Pleasant staff. The bad: Some road noise from I95 when at pool area. Debris was not being removed from pool every day until I complained. Pool was too cold until I complained. The hot tube was not cleaned frequently enough. At least 5 cats were constantly roaming about the pool area. Beds need better mattress's.

I travelled with a friend for a girl's weekend. We loved this hotel! It was perfect. We stayed in a suite with two double beds and a pull out sofa. The room was large and very clean, the pool was heated to 80 degrees, the hot tub was heated to 104 degrees (most of the time), and all of the staff was so helpful and very friendly. I believe the woman at the front desk who checked us in on February 25th was named Simone, and she was so nice and accommodating. However, towards the end of our trip I became acquainted with a woman at the front desk named Bobbie. She was by the most rude hotel employee I have ever come in contact with. Towards the end of our stay, I went to enter the hot tub and noticed it was not heated (it was about the same temperature as the pool, if not cooler), so I went inside the lobby to inform the front desk. I told Bobbie about the situation and she told me "well the pool is that temperature so it's probably not broken". I told her I was in the hot tub the night before and it was heated to a higher temperature (as a hot tub should be and as the sign posted at the hot tub implies). Bobbie gave me such an attitude, she told told me there was nothing she could do, as it would take days for the "pool guy to come out to fix it". Standing there baffled at the lack of apology, care for my problem, and frankly, the hotels problem, she finally said she would see if she "could radio someone to look at it." The day we were checking out, we requested a late check out, in person, at the front desk. Again, Bobbie was at the front desk. My friend approached the front desk and brought flowers we were going to throw out prior to leaving and offered them to Bobbie. My friend pled with Bobbie for an extra hour, to which Bobbie explained late check outs need to be arranged the night prior and she "already had TWO". We weren't asking for an extra day, mind you, just an hour. She was incredibly nasty during the entire interaction. I watched from the pool and noticed my room was not cleaned or even entered by hotel staff until a substantial amount of time after the one additional hour we requested. I would have gladly have paid for the extra hour, but it wasn't an option, according to Bobbie. The stories of Bobbie's rudeness extend beyond these two interactions, to include giving me attitude when I asked for extra towels for the room and pool towels. Bobbie asked me if they had given me towels in the room. I explained they did provide four towels the night prior, but we needed more for an additional shower before we checked out. She would not provide us with additional towels. I had to ask a maid, who kindly and courteously provided me with two additional towels. Very rarely do I write reviews on hotels, but I felt that the egregious behavior, attitude, and lack of respect I experienced from this particular worker should be voiced to not only potential travelers staying at this hotel, but also hopefully to the management. Again, the hotel and the staff were excellent. I would recommend staying at this hotel 100% and would stay here again; however, beware of the wrath of Bobbie.

Internet was extremely bad, toilet leaked all weekend, complained to front desk twice about both issues and neither got fixed. Beds are well used and very uncomfortable, the hotel is right next to I95, with patio door closed and curtains closed it still sounded like you where sitting out on the freeway. The swimming pool is nice, but quite small it, you hear the constant roar of the freeway in the pool as well so not that enjoyable.

old hotel has been updated and I find it's clean, smell good, everything works fine and what I like the most they have everything in the right place. I had just one incident, I called the front desk early in the morning and ask for a late check-out and they told me it's ok for me to stay till 1:00PM and by 1130AM the housekeeper supervisor knocked my door and told me I have to leave the room because the check-out is 12:00PM.

For a change we flew to Ft Lauderdale for our Orlando holiday on the way back home we stayed at the best western plus Deerfield for a night the staff very friendly and helpful especially Terrian (thank you for all your help) The room was a very good size and clean nice pool and breakfast was adequate would be more than happy to stay there again

If you want to stay in a hotel that has stained towels, odor in room, dead bugs laying on the floor in the bathroom, and just an overall feeling of being uneasy in a room - this would be the place to stay. The floor was a laminate type flooring which one would think it would be easy to keep clean - but they only clean/vacuum the visible areas. I always carry Essential Oils with me and sprayed the bed before getting into it and diffused oils continuously throughout the night to hide the smell. The bed and pillows were horrible!

Great hotel! Stayed here on the way to the Port of Miami. Very clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Free breakfast was great! Would definitely recommend and stay here in the future. Only complaint was noise of interstate traffic, but hey - what can you do? No worries, I give this hotel 5 stars!

This hotel is very convenient just off I95 which makes it a very noisy location. However, if you ask for a room on the side furthest from the road it is not noisy in the room. The staff was so helpful and friendly that it made this hotel a very comfortable base to radiate out in the area. The rooms are suites and very well designed with a door between the bedroom and sitting areas. Each has a tv and very good lighting. The bathroom has ample space to place your own toiletries beside the sink. There are two comfortable chairs and a couch. There is a good business area and printer and free wifi. The breakfast has a good selection and changes a bit daily. The pool area is very pleasant with a large pool and a hot tub but road noise can be annoying. The other drawback was that you never knew if you would get enough towels as the number the maids left varied day to day. We would definitely stay here again as long as we could reserve a room away from I95.

We spent 3 nights here. Overall, a good experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and responsive. I wish Best Westerns would supply full size pillows, these small ones just don't do it. I had problems connecting with the Internet, I believe my Android devices have more trouble than Windows, but that is just my guess.

I went to visit my Family last night who is staying there and i was quite surprised at the renovations. I used to go there when i was younger and throw small hotel parties, so i remember how it "used to be." I was very impressed as is my family. I will recommend other family and friends from out of town to stay here for the price and the location.

We stayed here one night en route to a cruise. The rate seemed good for a hotel in the Ft Lauderdale area and the suite was huge with a balcony! Location is a bit odd - just off of two freeways, so not exactly a scenic or quiet time on the balcony. But a good location for getting around easily to shopping and restaurants. It seems that most parts of the hotel and rooms have been recently renovated but some older shabbiness can still be seen, but seems consistent with the 2 1/2 star rating. Lots of little extras like breakfast, popcorn and evening bar service. Has a nice, small hotel feel to it. Pool is a bit run down, but not too bad. We still used it! Oh, and the front desk staff were lovely to speak with. Overall, definitely recommend.

I've stayed at this location before. They have redone the rooms and they are very nice, very clean. The only downside is it can be tricky with traffic during rush hour to get around. But other than that it's not far from good beaches and restaurants.

Having I95 right outside our window made access good but there was a constant, high noise level. We were given a handcaped suite (not requested) with few shelves and only one mirror (in bathroom) The daily 'cleaning' took approx 5 minutes and did not include a daily changing of bed linen. The staff was friendly and the breakfast adequate. Parking was good.

Hotel was very clean and had been recently updated. Rooms were modern, furniture was new and was clean and very serviceable. Staff was EXCELLENT, courteous and helpful. Nice to have the option of a hotel bar and bartender was very friendly and competent.

Traveled here for work for a week from NC. First night here was greeted by Simone, who welcomed us and made us feel extremely welcomed. We had a bad experience with another hotel the night before and were anxious about this hotel. We were able to go check out our room, was exactly what they promised, and clean! Simone went further and made sure we knew the close places to eat and shop. Every night we came in from work, she was there to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed - one night we needed extra coffee, cups, etc. she was quick to make sure we were good. I highly recommend this hotel for any travelers! Enjoy and ask for Simone!

"Stay only when weather is good"

If there's a cold spell, prepare to bundle up, as the heaters in two different rooms on two different dates were not working. To their credit, the staff brought up blankets at my request. Breakfast was warm and good and the room size and amenities were very good.

Everything went very smoothly, very nice staff wish I could remember names to mention and clean rooms. Nice decor. I had absolutely no complaints. Would certainly stay here again!!! The breakfast was good with a good selection of food.

"Not bad, but could be better"

The hotel is clearly an older property that received a recent well done renovation. The staff was pleasant and the rooms fine, large and clean. The bed was not very comfortable and there was a serious of odd noises throughout the night, the air conditioning was quite loud and would go on and off constantly and loudly. Very close to the highway and our rooms sadly were on that side of the hotel.

"Great Hotel & Best Staff I have Come Across"

I stayed here in December of 2015 for over 2 weeks and put up several others as my dying sister was treated locally at Broward health North Hospital. First, let me sing the praises of the hotel front desk staff, truly the nicest and friendliest of any I have seen and they could not have been more accommodating. There is a lovely young lady who hails from Jamaica, whom we had the most contact with, and I regret I can not recall her name. Flat out she is a SUPERSTAR! At every chance she had she went above and beyond and always had a warm smile to greet us. The rooms are very comfortable in the bedroom area and large. The modern furniture in the living room could be a little more comfortable but really was just fine. There are two flatscreen tvs, one in the bedroom and one in the living roomThe bathrooms were large and very user friendly and extremely clean. There was a laundramat on site that was easy & convenient to use the grounds were kept meticulously clean and tidy. There is a wonderful view from the center of the hotel overlooking the pool and hot tub area. The daily breakfast was plentiful and had a lot of good and fresh healthy choices. There was always hot coffee available and a nice seating area and lounge. I would highly recommend this hotel & especially if you are staying in the area due to Broward Health North Hospital. There is no nicer hotel in the area than this. I hope management realizes what a gem they have in our friend at the front desk from Jamaica. Outstanding service! Lastly,WIFI worked great!

"Perfect Details Perfect Sleep"

When I'm exhausted and need a perfect sleep and restful experience, I do not look for the best deal! We booked with Orbitz online, 15 min. In advance and saved 15% plus my Orbits bucks. The rate was listed at $135 for the night. We arrived after 9pm and had a very professional, courteous front desk experience. I mistakenly booked a dbl room but when I arrived I explained my mistake and was upgraded to a king, no charge no questions. Our room was beautiful with private balcony, seperate lounging area and ample bathroom counter space for 2. In room safe w/key, and 2 TV's. I requested 2 extra blankets and they were sent up immediately. The heated pool and hot tub were a nice way to unwind before bed. The hot tub needs to be resurfaced but it was the only cosmetic issue.The pool has changing underwater lights, which is fun and like a kid, my favorite part. We also stopped at the in hotel bar for a cocktail. I typically complete a full room inspection including mattress before unpacking, and it was so clean I skipped it. Full hot breakfast was amazing with eggs, sausage, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee etc... I will go back frequently.

"Nice place to stay"

But you need a car to get to anything. Staff was helpful, room and public areas clean, freshly painted. Free parking, nice free breakfast. Right next to I95 makes for lots of road noise, especially after a rain. Try to get a room away from the interstate. Elevators (2) very slow. Others mentioned the WiFi, also slow. Would come back but with so many other choices....

If you are staying anywhere near Ft. Lauderdale, this is a great place. Lots of good dining close by and the staff will help get you to a place you'd like! The rooms are very clean and we felt right at home. Easy access to I-95 as well

"One night stay pre cruise"

Stayed here one night before a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. It was New Years weekend and we were fortunate to find a room at a decent hotel for a decent price. The rooms were very clean, the bed was very comfortable. The outside corridors and the elevators could have been cleaner, but that did not really bother us as we were not sleeping there. Breakfast was included, there was a good selection. All hotel staff we encountered were very pleasant. Would stay here again when traveling in the area.

I needed a place to stay for a quick one night visit to Pompano Beach area. This hotel was very close to the place I needed to be and the price was great. I was pleasantly surprised at the facility. It was VERY nice. Staff was very pleasant and the grounds were great. My room was clean and large. Breakfast was free and there was a good selection of foods.

This hotel has apparently been remodeled and updated recently although the WiFi has not. The finishes are fresh and inviting. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Your room comes with a delicious hot breakfast which included different items everyday (sausage, eggs, potatoes). In the evening they offer a wine and cheese reception between 5-6 and a cash bar after that. Did I mention the ultra slow WiFi? The room can with a fridge and microwave which was great when you are traveling for business. The room layout (sitting/work room, bedroom, bathroom) is good although the closet knob fell off in my hand when I first opened it. So overall it was more than average but so was the price. My per night cost was a touch over $100. I would stay here again but hopefully around $70-$80 a night. Oh, yeah....the WiFi is really slow!

Do not expect much from this hotel. Noisy and busy at all times. To small in fact for the quantity of people it can hold. Staff is not really trained to help they just respond to queries as they are told. Not impressed.

Hotel breakfast bar ran out of food three out of four mornings, and we had to find a local restaurant to eat breakfast. The sleep sofa appeared to have evidence on the seat cushions of prior romantic trysts and the whole sofa needed to be replaced or, at the very least, deep steam-cleaned. We returned to our room one evening to find another guest had used the metal railing overlooking the pool outside our room to hang wet clothing out to dry including men's underwear, despite the fact that there was a guest laundry facility on the floor. Do yourself a favor, don't stay here.

We needed a cheap place to stay for four nights, and this was the ticket. The building is old (elevator is a little janky, the rooms are not very trendy, etc.), but we were happy with what we got for the money. The free breakfast from 7-10 each morning is great! The pool and jacuzzi are nice too.

My mom stayed here for one night before our cruise and the room was great. It was a perfect size and very clean. If the price was right we would have stayed after our cruise but it was all booked. I would recommend this hotel and stay again. Great!

The room was good, but they skimped on the bedding. The bed covers consisted of a sheet & a thin blanket,and poor quality pillows. We were cold all night. Reported it to the front desk in the morning. Expected better for a BW Plus.

"POORLY MANAGED"

Breakfast service was a nightmare. A wide variety of food choices were offered, but they ran out of EVERYTHING - cereal, milk, coffee, eggs, bacon, grits, yogurt, fruit, pancake mix, syrup... what a disaster. The tables were a mess and the trash cans were overflowing. We were told there was only one person staffing the area and the manager did not show up! What? This is a busy weekend during season! This is no way to manage a hotel. Wow. There were lines of people still waiting for food and we were told we would not be kicked out at 10:00 when service was over, but that's exactly what happened. We paid for a breakfast in our reservation - do we get a refund? No. Just an "I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do. The manager didn't show up today!" This place is understaffed and poorly managed.

The hotel offers a full buffet because we know how important breakfast is to the start of a productive day. On behalf of the The Management Team here at the hotel I am extending sincere apologies for the all the occurrence on that day. There is never a good excuse when a guest leaves the hotel less than satisfied, in this case the shortage of staff was beyond our control as we had a staff "no show" on that day. We try our best to accommodate every guest in all situations and the only way we knew how was to get help from another employee who could not have shown right away, so the breakfast was slow for a while and items were running low, but as soon as the breakfast attendant had help things were back to normal. There is a Manager here every day of the week, if not a supervisor would be the other superior to the chain of command. Fast check inn and check out, staff friendly, rooms good..a bit noisy from the traffic on the hwy next to rooms facing it, but ok. Rooms clean. Ok breakfast. A very good pool and jacuzzi Close by restaurants and stores, highly recommend if you are going to stay in this area.

"First night stay after a 3 week cruise"

This is a old hotel located very close to the free way so extremely noisy everywhere out side so hard to relax. Inside not as noisy. The room was okay , could not use the balcony as it was so close to the highway and much too noisy. Breakfast was okay. It is just a old hotel in a noisy location probably built before the free way.

Enjoyed our stay very much, the staff was extremely hospitable and made our stay much more relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Asked for extra beds and had no problem with it, only problem we encountered was that the pool closed after a certain time, but that has nothing to do with the actual stay.

After ten days with a reservation, we add two days being assured that it would be at same rate. It was not. And the desk person was not able to correct the new rate, because not being a manager, he was not able to make the correction ! The charge was put on our credit card.

My wife and I stayed one night. The room was clean and the bed comfy. Free breakfast was OK. Choose the carbs over the hot options. Fruit was also good. We did not use the pool but others were enjoying it at 8am. We would stay again.

stayed at deerfield beach location before and after costa rica trip. the staff couldnt be any nicer. the rooms are huge and beautiful, also very clean. my coffee maker didnt work (only complaint) but i didnt need because breakfast set up began at 7am and we got coffee and juice. breakfast was buffet of donuts, muffins, eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit. lots of choices. pool and hot tub are beautiful also. smoking section near pool with tables and chairs. quick 15 minute trip to airport.

"Great Place to Stay"

We had a great stay at the Best Western in Deerfield Beach last week. We stayed there last year when they were renovating and it was not great, however everything is complete now and they did a great job. The staff is terrific , especially Ms. T , she knows all the ins and outs of the area and is makes sure your stay is going to be the best it can be. The rooms are updated and clean and modern. The pool area is well looked after. The breakfast is well managed and gets your day off to a start. Overall a great place to stay and good value for the money. Thank you Ms. T and your staff for an enjoyable stay. We will be back next year.

"One night stay totally worth it"

The hotel was very clean, nice breakfast buffet. What kid doesn't like making his own waffles in the morning, friendly front desk staff and totally worth the price. Other family members stayed there too and We all enjoyed the pool together and the bar had very reasonable prices for draft beer.

"Very Nice Clean Spacious Quiet Suite"

The rooms are very spacious.. Very Clean Everything is wiped down and sanitary.. The pool was very clean. The staff seemed to care about us. They were very helpful and seemed to always be there if you had a question. Trievienne Ms. T was very helpful.. Attentive and she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Trievienne also greeted us when we first arrived for our 6 day stay and in the end she checked us out smooth and quick.. I would stay at Deerfield Best Western Plus again. My girl also enjoyed every minute of our stay

"Best Place for Business Travellers"

The entire staff at this property is rock-solid. First off, the Sales Manager, David Nichols, is one of the best in the business. We book multiple rooms monthly here, and David is always there to assist us, above and beyond. I can contact him anytime in the time leading up to our stays, and he is always there to assist us with any changes or special requests. He is a rock star, and an invaluable member of the staff. As for the desk staff, they are equally awesome. Trevienne is also extremely accomodating. Sometimes I need to call to change our room assignments, request that bedding be added for a third person, or inform her of a late arrival. She always gets it right the first time, makes things go extremely smooth, and always does it in a cheerful manner, no matter how much of a pain in the desk I know I am. Complimented by Jermaine the Assistant Manager, and Natalie on the Night Audit, this is a rock-solid staff. I highly recommend any business that wants their hotel stay to be the last thing they have to worry about when setting up a project to stay at the Best Western Deerfield.

"Welcoming, friendly and comfortable stay"

We had just had a busy and quite stressful day driving through Miami and onwards to Fort Lauderdale. After a lovely holiday we needed an overnight stay before flying out of Fort Lauderdale up to New York. We had arrived at another hotel in Deerfield Beach, which had proved very disappointing and we were unable to stay (which will be the subject of a separate review). The Best Western hotel saved the day. They had a room for us and at short notice. They were very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious, clean, well stocked with everything we needed. A great breakfast was included and we were very impressed and our faith was restored in the hotel business. The only slight disappointment is that the bedroom was right next to the main road and the window had no sound proofing, so the noise was a problem. Try to request a room on the other side of the hotel, to avoid this.

The rate quoted for any night includes free breakfast (full buffet), free parking, free wi-fi, pool and hot tub with very feasible hours of operation. Cannot fault this hotel ideal location off I95 for all the beaches, shopping, Keys, Miami, evergades etc. Great 3 room suites wth everything you need including fantastic buffet hot breakkfast, Super pool and hot tub, friendly little bar (free drink and bottle of water at checkin) Friendly efficient staff throughout. I cannot fault the cleanliness - daily housemaid serviceand even the outsides were cleaned daily. Could not believe all this for such a great price

Beds need to be upgraded for more comfort. The breakfast provided is Ok but could use better quality food. The front desk personnel were very supported to my needs. The pool & hot tub were very well maintained by the staff.

great value. Overall, it was clean and met our needs. The food in the restaurant wasn't as good. The staff was neither good, nor bad. They just didn't really care . location wise is a bit tricky . hard to find without gps . I do recommend it for short stay or if you're on a budget .

Just came back from a short weekend visit to Florida, and once again stayed at the newly renovated Best Western Plus Deerfield Beach Hotel. As usual I was greeted and checked in by one of their friendly and courteous staff, this time it was Ms. T. such a lovely and pleasant young lady. She answered all my questions, and checked me in very efficiently. Ms. T actually checked me into the same room I was as the last time, even before I requested it. The new decor is pleasant and warm, with new and improved furnishings. I also saw another friendly and pleasant staff member Germain, who I always like to have a quick chat with. This was my fourth time staying at this hotel, I keep coming back because of its friendly, courteous and pleasant staff, clean accommodations, and it the prices are within my budget.. Thanks again guys for giving me another great experience!!!

friendly staff, shower curtains too short to stay in tub, WiFi makes you sign in much too often. clean and roomy. Hot tub was inoperative during my stay. other guests said that it had been down over 2 weeks

We came as a big group with kids. The staff was friendly and accamodating. Very clean hotel, nice atmosphere, close to everything especially beach. Nice layout with pool in middle of hotel. Definitely recommend.

Great location,excellent staff with fantastic attitude.Foyer was well maintained,rooms were very clean,beds and all linens were fresh.My room had a vey nice view overlooking the lake,pool and neat porch.Staff was very, very professional,courteous and informative about the facility and services offered. Beds were super comfortable,A/C worked well,will definitely be back when in that area,very secure parking,felt at home with such great staff.
