Best Western Ft. Lauderdale I-95 Inn

We ckecked in late. Kids were greeted by cockroch. There was piece cut open in ceiling. We can see pipes in ceiling. Microwave and hair dryer were missing, no working clock. No water pressure, it stops completely. There is a train track next to hotel, we were wakened by train couple of times as it was very loud.

Had a terrible experience during my stay at the hotel, I saw ant when I turned on the light and the lady at the front desk upgraded me to another room which i applaud, and inside the new room, the microwave was not clean, things was not just right. I saw a used needle behind the night stand. Was told will not be charged for the night but the GM said, they cannot do that. Will not recommend the hotel to anyone due to my experience.

Don't be fooled by the pictures of the lobby. This place is a filthy, broken, smelly dump with untrained staff. Very low lighting in rooms to cover up the broken, dirty, worn, chipped, unkept, old room. I would NEVER visit this location again! Not to mention the staff is clueless.

Dirty filthy run down hotel. Would never recommend to anybody. Water hardly came out in shower, moldy shower curtain, hair and dirt on bathroom floor. The fridge did not work, I could go on and on. AWFUL

The accommodations are definitely on the older side, but the staff were very friendly. If you need a place to rest your head and walk to the Inter Miami soccer stadium this is the most convenient place to stay. Only a ten minute walk and there is a Waffle House right next to the hotel. Pricing was reasonable for the convenience.

Room was filthy. Do not stay here. Never have we seen a room so dirty. Bed wasn't clean. Floors were gross. We switched rooms only because it was so late when we checked in and we had a long travel day to try to check out and find another room. But we wished we had. This place is definitely not up to best western standards. One star is too much for this place.

When you pay $182 a night for a room would expect better than paper thin towels, a tv that didn't work - said no signal. I called front desk and they told me they would look for someone to come see about it and after two hours I didn't hear from them so called front desk back and told them to forget it that I was going to bed. When I checked out told them about the tv and person at desk could have cared less. The breakfast left something ti be desired and after people left tables were not wiped down. The room itself looked clean but one of the bottom drawers on dresser wouldn't stayed closed (stayed open about 9 inches) and I almost tripped and fell over it so ended up putting a trash can in front of it to keep it closed.

Great I appreciate the way the staff work and the breakfast the way they are attentive to our needs fixing the bed and making sure we are t treated with the highest respect and the accommodate for me and my girl thanks again

This place is so dirty nasty. The bathroom cortin was nasty I don't know how this people rent this room I will say management I think they don't check the quality of the room. Also the carpet is nasty

Breakfast was fine.....but the room was dirty ...my daughter had a sports tournament all we needed was a bed and a shower and we couldn't even shower bc the bath was sooo full of other peoples hair that it wouldn't drain.tge shower was dirty..the toilet was dirty , the fridge was dirty ,even the bedding was dirty and had other people's hair all over it....3 of the towels that were hung and supposed to be clean were still wet

Water pressure is awful on the 3rd floor it was like taking a bird bath, coffee maker didn't work at all. The restroom in the lobby needs updating really bad! The cost to stay there should be less at least until they upgrade the place.

As always, I received impeccable service from check-in to check-out. (JO) our check-in clerk was very quick and efficient. When I decided to extend for an additional day, the lady at customer service was exceeding helpful and accommodating.

The room they gave us weren't clean, we got switched to another room king suite, toilet doesn't work, cockroaches in the drawers, Power goes out in guestroom. Staff was incompetent, they double book the room and let 2 grown men walking my room and seen my partner naked plus I had my value belongings in the room, that unsafe and is a serious concern

The room was clean and just right for a quiet place to get a good nights sleep. I would stay again. The breakfast has quite a selection and everything was refilled immediately. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the pool but I will next time. Staff was super friendly and Mary was so helpful . For the price it was a great place to stay.

If you are looking for an affordable hotel with a pool and breakfast and about 15-20mins to FLL then this is your place! If you are looking for anything above average with comfort and the feeling and smell of being clean then this isn't the place for you. Definitely needs updating! Place had a musky smell throughout and in the rooms. Shower curtains were a bit moldy and not the cleanest. Beds weren't very comfortable! Walls seemed paper thin and the hallways were noisy! Located in an industrial part of town next to the train tracks and next to a Waffle House! Be careful driving in due to the construction business/area next door because we ended up with a flat tire from debris in the shared driveway. Best of luck!

The staff went above and beyond to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. My room was clean and comfortable, and had a refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board, and a well "fired up" AC unit. The bed was also very comfortable.

In need of a refresh! Pillows were lumpy and knackered. The room was dusty [behind furniture], the aircon and fridge were noisy, I turned the fridge off overnight. Pool OK, beds clean, breakfast not worth the effort, nothing hot, just 3 choices of serial, bagles muffins fruit and plain yoghurt. WiFi was decent. The weed smokers that shared the pool area with me wasn't the hotel's fault.

Bed was hard. Had to put pillows under back and side. I've slept on more comfortable floors. Hairs not belonging to me found on bed and towels at checkin. Breakfast was lacking. They offered hard boiled eggs instead of scrambled.

My husband is disabled…the hotel does not accommodate anyone who cannot stand up in a shower…even in their “accessible suites”. The unit we had smell musty and was so damp. Poor maintenance was evident. Do not stay here.

I am having a great time at the hotel definitely will stay here again when I come to Fort Lauderdale. Stuff is friendly and professional. Mary at the front desk is the best she's so sweet and makes sure all your needs are met. There are bus stops close by if you want to use the transportation. The hotel is clean and breakfast is free and delicious

The hotel provided a comfortable bed in a fairly quiet setting and fairly convenient to stores and restaurants. It was reasonably priced and convenient to the highway for further travels. The breakfast was complete with the usual fruit, cereal, various bread type selections, Belgian Waffles, scrambled eggs.

The staff is very friendly and especially Sandra Lee at the reception she is very cheerful and a great host. Never failed to help us with anything. We stayed for 6 nights at the hotel the location is good .

Staff is friendly, rooms are very clean, overall it exceeded my expectations 10/10 all across the board. The breakfast is excellent, the pool is well kept and it's a very cozy feeling you get your peace and quiet nobody bothers you privacy is great

The website was unreliable. There was no confirmation of a booking, but fee was charged. Called and left message with Joel. I never received a call back. Received an email from Daniel asking about “stay.” Called for an update and management was unwilling to help resolve the problem.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights prior to our cruise. A very pleasant stay. Breakfast is enjoyable. Staff are very helpful. Hotel is close to a few places we planned to visit. Will definitely come back next time we come to Fort Lauderdale.

Internet was nonexistent. Room was dingy and the door showed signs of previously being kicked in. Tub and shower were moldy. This is the only hotel I have EVER stayed in that required a $100 damage deposit.

i would not recommend this location at this time, staff was unfriendly though not all of them, services was not at its best, credit to the dining room service staff, even though they tried the menu lacks varity, it was the same thing everyday.

First Thing I was there for a week and they only clean my room on the 4 day other people who I talk to had the same problem.. The ice machine was down the whole time. I had to always ask for toilet paper and towels because they never cleaned. Everything About this place was bad. The washing machine was working when it feel like. They had Roaches in their rooms. Front desk Agent attentive, friendly and accommodating. Manager came out of back room to thank me for being a platinum member. My room was upgraded and received a late check out, my son had to take me to Miami airport at 3am and returned to rest before driving another two and half hours north. Love this hotel.

We stayed here for one night before taking a flight back home from Ft. Lauderdale airport. From that perspective the location of the hotel was good, only 15 min away from the airport. Unfortunately the rest was an awful experience. The room was very dirty and moisty, and we were happy that we only needed to spend 7 hours in this room. It was really one of the worst hotel rooms I have stayed in and I have been visiting many hotels throughout the years. You are hit by this old and moisty smell as soon as you open the door and it just continues from there. And on top of that, the room wasn't particularly cheap either with a price of 160 USD. I recommend to stay away from this hotel.

I booked this hotel for a multiday zoom conference and stayed nearly a week. I was very pleasantly surprised by the extremely hospitable front desk staff...they went out of their way to accommodate my requests, the quietness of the hotel, as well as the breakfast which was filling and reasonably diverse. I WOULD say that the WIFI (the reason I booked this hotel) was NOOOOOT adequate, and was very weak, and very aggravating, even on the 2nd floor right behind reception. (where my room was located). The AC was blasting most of the day, but somehow didn't seem to affect anything beyond a few of feet from the unit. The Tri-rail trains passed by my window regularly, but didn't disturb in the least.

Check in was pleasant and quick. Room is dated and the AC need to be cleaned out replaced. Decent price and location near i95 and restaurants. I don't know why I need to say more. Google reviews didn't require so many words and I simply want to leave feedback here for those who want to know about this place.

My partner and I booked here having stayed at other Best Western locations. This was a HUGE disappointment. Whole hotel smelt disgusting and musty. AC did not stay cool despite being on the coolest setting. Internet barely worked. Would not stay again.

the staff were amazing. In particular, Veli, who is a day manager. We had some issues with our room which she acknowledged were valid complaints. Instead of making excuses, she promptly reduced our total bill by 25% and did it promptly and with a smile! We will stay there again because of her great attitude! Hopefully in the meantime the new owner will give the rooms some much needed attention!

Clean hotel with comfy beds and quiet rooms. We only heard people in the hall and the train going by right behind the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good variety of breakfast sandwiches.

This hotel needs an overhaul. The water pressure in the shower and toilet were horrible, the hallways smelled like cigarettes, and the staff were not very helpful. Additionally, the location is not the greatest.

This hotel was nice. Mostly clean with a slight odor to the room. It was a musty smell that may just be normal for humid Florida. The breakfast was good but no waffles or potatoes! Sad! It had very easy access to a major freeway without the freeway noise. I do recommend checking the office chair. Ours was broken and it dumped my husband on the floor. We assumed a previous guest broke it and set it up to avoid a charge. Luckily we weren't charged for it! Would recommend.

Not to far from beach less than 30 minute drive. Had a clean pool. Staff was friendly, helpful and kept the place in order. Good choices for breakfast. Had extras like pool towels. If you forgot something they had extra supplies too!! Not the best area however felt safe and good clientele.

Nice place, great staff but really a no frills experience but they do that well. I wish the breakfast was available longer and there really is nothing in the room, aside from coffee. I also didn't find any shampoo, etc.

I do not recommend this hotel. The internet is not working and it's the worst possible hotel for a business traveller. Breakfast is very poor. The quality and variety of food available is terrible. The whole experience was a big disappointment.

Rooms are very small, old property, apple products could not be connected to internet, printer in lobby out of service. Many rooms not ready at 3 pm. We cancelled nights 2 and 3. Staff tried to help but...Wasted 28000 award points.

great easy and kind people, breakfast till almost 10 am good , easy rewards use, Dika the office desk clerk nice and so was all of them , had a good clean room, , easy to get to the dining room and loved the easy breakfast , always upset when they close at 9 am breakfast , all places need to keep open till 10 am , even if self serve cereal ,must keep milk open too for that or hot water for oatmeal , no reason can't do this , this one extended beyond 930 am good

Rooms need to be remodeled. The refrigerator made loud noises all night. Wifi was non existent. Bathroom had a foul odor and the shower head made loud noises when you used the hot water. Worst Best Western hotel I've ever been to.

The Best Western in Fort Lauderdale needs remodeling and better service. They were out of towels. Either someone doesn't know how to count the number of towels needed for guests or there isn't enough staff to wash them. Disgraceful.

No room cleaning, room had an old carpet smell, someone got inside the room and move my personal items around, no towels or floor carpet for shower, no wifi, no knives, forks or spoons at the breakfast table

The only thing good about this hotel is it's location in relation to easy access to I-95. It is dated and should be totally remodelled. The internet is really non existent. It certainly does not meet Best Western's usual standards.

Will never go back there. The place smells, everything is cheap quality & not worth the money. Left for the day & when we got back we can't get in the room, when we got in the room we realized the room wasn't service. Apparently, They only service rooms every 3 days unless you ask but they don't tell you that when you check in.

I stay at this hotel annually, due to it's perfect location for my particular needs. However, EVERY year, the issues become worse, and more frequent. From being charged incorrectly at the front desk, agents having no idea how to do their job, not receiving housekeeping when requested, water turning off in the middle of your shower, the issues are rampant. It's time for the owners of this property to make a much needed investment. I simply cannot continue to use this hotel, when there are ALWAYS various issues, every time I stay.

Well, first things first. We arrived 1 1/2 hrs before check in. She wouldn't check us in til exactly at 3. Said hotel was full the night before.. ok? That's fine. Hotel smells like mold. Bad. Especially by the elevator. Elevator certificate expired in 2020. We get to the room, it's fine. It's not the nice Best westerns we are use to. This one is run down. We leave to go out and we are pretty sure some prostitution or sex trafficking was happening right in the hall. Then a couple drug deals. What? Girl half naked with a couple black eyes crying hanging all over some guy. I'm thinking what kind of hotel is this. Hotel def sketchy. Would I stay again. No. But we weren't there for the hotel and was rarely in it anyway.

I LOVE the location of this hotel ! Even though it's right off a major interstate freeway it is very quiet at night to get a good night sleep. The staff are very courteous also and take care of your problem(s) ASAP. Right next to the hotel it's a construction site with a large driveway and the gate is close at night, so the local law enforcement officers tend to take their breaks there so that's extra unadvertised security. Also, there are plenty of food options within a 2 mile radius of the hotel and next to the parking lot is a Waffle House therefore it's impossible for a person not to get food. If you are looking for a basic hotel in the area I def. recommend this hotel.

I was greeted with excellent customer service! I asked for specific room type and was accommodated and my stay was comfortable and quiet! The Hotel was clean and I felt safe and The pool area was clean

I arrived at this hotel for a 13 night stay. The first thing when I walked into the room was a horrible smell, all they did was spray something. The second thing was someone had left their dirty cloths in the bed. When I brought this up to the person working behind the desk she just insisted that I just pick them up and throw them away if they were touching me and if they weren't touching me not to worry about it. The third thing was just overall cleanliness, trash left in the coroners of the room and you could tell nothing had been wiped down in a long time. 100% would not recommend or stay at again.

This is the worst best western, I ever stayed. The room are dirty, smell, paint chipping on the walls. Bedding is very dirty and dingy. Every time I went to the front desk, no one is there had to wait ten minutes until someone returned. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.I am a best western reward customers. Someone need to check that hotel out. Do not meet standard of best western

Stayed here for a night over the weekend. Super easy check in and check out. The staffs were great. Room appeared to be clean and no issues. There was an outdoor pool that I didn't use. But they have tables outside where I ate my breakfast. In addition, it is a quick drive to Pompano Beach. Would stay here again.

Everything was fine, staff were friendly and efficient, Room was good and stuff worked as required. As some have posted this is an older property and not quite as shiny as a new hotel but I found it clean and adequate for my overnight stay for an early business meeting the next day.

This hotel was convenient and affordable for my family traveling with an infant. We didn't have to travel far from the airport to get a good nights rest before continuing our travels south to our final destination.

This facility is nice to stop and get some rest but I was disappointed because there wasn't any internet connection and the staff didn't really care about my problem. Was surprised because most Best Western would react in a positive manner.

Nothing negative about this hotel. It is indeed close to a railroad but we were able to sleep fine even with the train passing several times. No daily cleaning due to COVID-19 protocol but we were ok with this. It was good they served some breakfast.

Staff was great! Rooms need TLC. Pool was nice. Overall, was not a place I would return to because of the room. It was dated and in need of a deep cleaning. Mattress was broken down. Towels were very thin. 1/2 pillows on the bed.

She was beyond perfect answered questions made you feel welcome last but least took care every concern immediately. This review is for her and also the maintenance crew as well the hotel was decent

We went there for my sons All American football event and this how it went. No milk for breakfast for 3 days, when you tell them they say yes there is it's Almond milk unsweetened and we can't go get any other. Will have to order. Noise from club next door very disturbing. Never a executive / GM on property or available for contact. Can not leave voicemail for them as it is full and won't accept any. Will double Bill and over Bill you.

We arrive just before midnight. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The location is set back from the main road, but the passing train noise may annoy some people. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. They assisted and helped us to resolve minor issues.

The hotel is located in an good area, the only problem is that it is right next to the train tracks, so expect to be woken up by the train super early in the morning and in the middle of the night. I understand that most places have a deposit for your stay but regardless if you book through them or a 3rd party website it should be mentioned at checkout process not in the smallest print in a hidden area. The hotel is very nice from the outside and the inside as well. When I arrived the guy that checked me in was super friendly and helpful. The second night I was there I had an issue with the washer, it charged my card twice but it would not start. When I went to the front desk the guy with glasses that helped me was not helpful at all. He seemed like he did not want to be at work, much less help with an issue. He took a look at the washer and said, "call that number, we don't own these washers, that's why I never even deal with them and walked out the laundry room." Super unprofessional, I get that you can't do much for me, but it is in your facility, at least apologize for inconvenience and maybe offer to help call the company. Lastly the power went out twice while I was there, it was not raining, there was no wind, it just went out early in the morning so I could not take a hote shower 2 days I was there. Also there was a fire alarm that was broken right outside my room that would not stop going off, finally after about an hour someone went to go get someone to check it out and through the door they said they would send maintenance up to look at it. Great noise to wake up to at 6 in the morning. Aside from those complications the room was clean the bed was comfortable, the fridge and microwave worked great.

Great stay highly recommend. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. There was breakfast and a gym if needed. They had extra supplies if needed too, like toothbrushes etc

Best place to stay excellent service, As soon as we walkEd through the door we were greeted with a happy smile from Sharell, she is the front desk supervisor, she has done an excellent job I am very happy to stay here, we are going through a transition of moving and they have made our 10 day stay extremely pleasant, Jasper has done a very fabulous job very attentive to our needs as well, Anthony is also very pleasant and the manager Dan is excellent.

To see my name posted as a welcome, I felt so special. All the little extras that are done to make the stay more enjoyable are appreciated. The staff was genuinely concerned about our comfort and needs being met.

This Best Western is outstanding. It is top choice for the price. Each time I stay at the hotel, my experience is always the same over the years, excellent. My overall stay was good, but my last visit the room was not cleaned and I ended up cleaning it myself in order to walk around on the floor and take a shower. The front desk clerk was much more caring about my needs and how comfortable I was with my stay. She followed up to see if i needed anything and suggested some ideas for my stay there.

The cleanliness of this room could always be enhanced. Regardless, the hospitality of the staff is great. Location standpoint, it is not the greatest when in comparison in places such as Miami or Holiday Inn. Kudos to Sharell for being such a great desk person, bubbly and friendly.

This hotel is quiet and is in a great location for easy access to highways and the FLL airport. There are restaurants nearby too. The best part of this hotel is breakfast! I don't think I've seen as many choices at any Best Western before. Tons of fresh fruit, an automatic pancake machine, and a well stocked plethora of food choices. The area is well maintained, clean, and spacious. I never heard trains as other people reported in their reviews, but that doesn't mean that it does not occur.

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Ft. Lauderdale. It is on a street that is close to rail tracks and I-95 but I stayed on the front side of the hotel and didn't hear any noise. It was clean with a very strong fragrance scent in the room which I didn't like but at least is was clean! The breakfast area is clean and well-stocked. Coffee was available 24 hours. I would stay here again.

A return visit. Last time it was awful. This time a lot better. There was a pleasant person on the desk on the evening of the 4th March 2020 and similar at checkout time. However it was somewhat disturbing when filling the bath the water came out a slight ‘urine' colour. It was most disconcerting having a bath in what looked like urine. Not very nice at all. Remember the same water is used for the shower. I would suggest from a customers perspective this needs fixing.

I've stayed here a few times now, and I think it's a good value for your buck. The positives are a friendly staff, free parking, microwave in rooms, and a good breakfast. As for the negatives, have to say it can get really crowded in the breakfast area, not that anything can be done about it. Most of the time it's fine. The train goes by the back of the building and can be bothersome. Location is close enough to anywhere you want to go, freeway a couple of minutes away, but not a great location if you like to go out for walks. Workout equipment - I couldn't get the treadmill to work. I did have an issue with housekeeping one day,, but I think it was an isolated incident and a supervisor took care of it. It's still a good hotel.

My biggest complaint about the hotel was the employee at the breakfast room. When I went to have my breakfast. I was going to take my omelet, the utensil I had to use was really dirty. I decided to use the other one that was clean and next to the one for omelets. Brenda (in charge of breakfast room) came from nowhere and immediately said aloud and with attitude, “That's not for omelets”. I responded, “I know, but the one for omelets is really nasty, could you please clean it?” She took it out of my hand with attitude and did not take it to wash in the kitchen. Instead, she just took a napkin and tried to wipe it off, and then gave it back to me. It had a lot of dried gravy stuck to it, so she really did not clean anything. While sitting and eating I observed her telling other guests things. When a guy came at around ten, she asked him, “When did you come here”? (breakfast was until 10:00) . Also, a lady putting bread in the toaster, she told her something too. Just by looking at the face of the guest, I guessed it was something not pleasant. In addition, my husband was making a waffle, which got stuck and there was Brenda telling him that he filled the cup incorrectly, and pointed at the cup while telling him you were not supposed to exceed this amount. Later on, I saw her making one by herself which got really stuck too. She had problems getting it out. So, it did not have anything to do with the amount of mix people put in the cup as she told my husband. She is a very rude person.

Very good experience at this hotel Staff is extremely good and friendly Rooms are really clean and functional Very nice pool with great accessibility Hotel is well located and good bang for the bucks.

The pool area was great and the weather cooperated. The train that passed behind the motel kept waking me and roommates up. Once we returned from Port and rooms were ready we sat by pool during afternoon and evening and enjoyed the sunshine before returning to winter weather.

This hotel was very clean and safe. The staff were super helpful and friendly. It was located only minutes from dining locations and a horse race/ casino complex. It was also easy to drive to the cruise port the next morning.

Hotel requires an upgrade but overall stay was acceptable. Housekeeping needs to improve. Shower pipes make a huge racket when turned on to shower. The floors did not seem to be clean and definitely need to improve.

Check in was delayed over 2.5 hours. Staff tried to get me to down grade my suite to a standard room. I would recommend when someone books a room 2 months in advance and is traveling an extreme distance they have their room ready as scheduled and booked.

The front desk personal were awesome. THe rooms, clean, comfortable and spacious. Free breakfast was best I've seen in my lasy 8 years of travel to Fort Lauderdale. ONly drawback was that the pool was closed for repairs.

Fine for a quick place to sleep. Area around pool was nice, water needed to be skimmed. I was offered supper at the in hotel bistro, which I chose to partake in. When I went downstairs at the appropriate time, I was told it wasn't being offered that night...so I had to make alternative plans. Kind of aggravating at a hotel with no vehicle. Breakfast was fine. Coffee maker in room didn't work, bit coffee in lobby was fine.

I was at the hotel by 10:00 in the morning because my cruise ship was docked early.The fellow behind the desk didn't even look up at me and just asked. "checking out" I said no.He glanced up from his game of solitaire and said check in time was 3:00pm.I asked him if I could leave my luggage here as I don't want to carry it around.He gave a sort of face that said, "oh my, I have to move".He put my luggage in a room that had office stuff in it.He never offered me any solutions to my problem of being there early, or tried to accommodate me with an earlier room or if I could check back in a couple of hours for a room.I returned 4 3/4 hours later after walking around a strange neighborhood in an industrial area.I finally found a mall 1.5 miles away,so I took a bus to the mall.I finally returned to the hotel at 2:45pm and there was a gentleman in front of me checking in.He also asked if he was early to check in. The same fellow behind the counter said yes it was, but he will get him one.

This was the worst checkin I have ever experienced and I travel a lot. Arrived at 3:05 and the front desk was so frazzled she had no rooms ready. Kept saying let me get this figured out. Waited an hour in the lobby. She kept saying 10 more minutes, 10 more minutes. Finally we went to dinner at 4:15 and she said I hope it's ready when you get back. Retuned at 7:00 and the man at desk acted like it killed him to give me room key. Room was clean but stunk. Will never stay here again.

This is the first time at this hotel but not our last. We stayed overnigth before our Crristmas Cruise. The hotel was clean and very affordable. The staff could not do enough to make this stay pleasurable.

It's hard to rate this hotel properly...mostly very decent, but our room immediately hit us with a blast of recently-smoked-in air. So much for 100% smoke-free. We had booked a junior suite, and since it was only for one night, decided to put up with it, since we were tired and unpacked. The bathroom smelled like someone had been in there smoking that same day, and it had permeated the whole unit. Later I did go down and inform the desk, who was very nice and offered to switch the room, but we didn't want to go to the trouble of switching rooms for one night. There is absolutely NO justification for this...any maid cleaning the room simply HAD to know immediately, and if he/she was the offender, I hope they fired him/her for it. This was not a faint aroma of old smoke leftover from smoking days, it was fresh. Other than that, the hotel was nice...good breakfast, pleasant staff, and reasonably-priced. The neighborhood isn't one you'd want to head out in for a stroll, but we didn't expect that, and it was close enough to restaurants and business for a short drive. I hate to give them four stars since a smoky room really ruins things for most non-smokers, but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that it's a one-time thing. I'd stay there again, but if I got a smoky room ever again, the rating would go down to 1 or zero.

Did not like the area . Train noises at night. No towels, bedding did not look clean messed up my room at check in and out. Only friendly person man at checkout. Room smelled. overall would never recommend to anyone

My stay at this Best Western was very enjoyable and relaxing, It was a welcome site for the fabulous rate to see how clean it was and how friendly all of the staff is. Also the location was perfect for me to be that close to Rt. 95 because I have friends north of there and south of there, so it was very easy to get around the Ft. Lauderdale area. I was concerned at first that it would be noisy there, but it wasn't, It was very quiet and relaxing..

Sharell was our favorite thing about staying here. She greeted us as soon as we got inside and we were immediately joking and laughing, like talking to an old friend. When we went to check out, we all got excited when we saw each other, ahh she's a gem and definitely was a highlight of our quick little trip. I hope all the reviews that mention her find their way to her, she's deserves every ounce of praise.

Quick check in and check out, friendly front desk and breakfast area staff. Large clean room with all amenities available (fridge, king bed, microwave, 2 bathrooms, living room area, sofa, work desk)..perfect resting spot after 10 long days abroad and a 16hour flight. Breakfast was well stocked, tasty, satisfying and the area kept very clean.

We stayed here on Thanksgiving night after visiting family. No problems at all with our stay other than the noise from the hallways can be a little loud. Free breakfast in the morning was good, and the room was clean and comfy enough. Staff was very friendly.

It's looking tired and straining to cope restaurant so small lift always busy. Plastic used in the restaurant not environmentally friendly room not made up on one occasion. Good side is that it s in a good location to see and experience Fort Lauderdale

This is at least my 7th stay at this location, and I'm disappointed in the cleanliness. When i checked in, my toilet seat was covered in dried urine from the previous guest. When I left for dinner I asked the front desk to have it cleaned while i was out, and when i came back it hadn't been touched. I had to clean it myself using a hand towel and no cleaner! Gross. There was CAKED on soap scum under both soap dishes and under the handicapped railing. Several long hairs stuck to the inside of the shower curtain. Not sure I will be back, as the issues were not addressed when reported. I had friends in another room down the hall and their HVAC leaked all over the carpet and it was left wet and musty for all 3 days of our stay.

Pretty repulsed by the smell of this room, and overall cleanliness. The walls have foot stains, and the room just smells like a senior citizen's home. The elevator is 80% broken down (lights don't work, you have no idea what floor it stops at, and it takes about 4 minutes to get from floor 4, down to 1). Breakfast was gross. It is hard to mess up hard boiled eggs, but they persevered until they were successful doing so. The breakfast crew spent the morning complaining about how many boxes of cream cheese they go through, and that they order it and it goes too fast. Grumpy old hags. For the high price of $150 a night (high for best westerns), I expected much more. This is our 12th best western in the last 4 weeks... and I'm really disappointed. The house keeping simply threw a stack of towels in the room, and paid little attention to actually making it up. UPDATE: The hard boiled eggs at breakfast on day two were FROZEN, and the juice maker didn't work. We woke up to Carbon monoxide alarms going off outside our room last night, and to top it off, the filtered water from the gym and the breakfast area IS YELLOW! Switching hotels today.

From check-in to check-out the experience was extremely welcoming and enjoyable. The staff at this facility go out of there way to make sure you have a pleasant stay and are full of information about the local scene.

The floor was so dingy it actually left footprints in the shower, which took forever to get hot and had absolutely no pressure. There is also nothing in the area other than a Waffle House and a 7-11. The staff was friendly, but not much else going for it

Very nice people at the front desk and the breakfast rom, and good breakfast to. The location is perfect if you dint need to be close to the beach. We stayed for five nights to visit friends and do some shopping, so for us the location was perfect

Check in was great, but our king room was so filled with smoking odors, even the pillows, had to move at 11:00 at night as it was making us sick. Appreciate the help in moving to new room. wonder why Maids didn't report smokey room?

I have been traveling a lot since I was about 13 and over the years have gravitated toward Best Western and Best Western Plus locations. I haven't had a serious issue with them yet, so I just choose them by default because I know I can expect a clean room and good customer service.

Stayed 3 days awaiting departing flight. My rm was completely nasty. Found roaches, ants and cigarette ashes all over my carpet. Changed rooms 3 times and each room was just as bad. Great experiences in other(BW) locations. This particular location was horrible.

My stay was great. I had a exceptional time at the resort, and the team members was very helpful/ friendly. The room was great. Upon check - in we had a leak with the A/c which resulted in the carpet getting wet. We notify front desk and they check us into another room immediately. Overall everything else went fine. Sherell was very helpful.

There's many reasons for traveling, the most stressful one is because of evacuation, not knowing what you will be returning to. and with my basset hound, MollyMae. With that thought in mind, I find myself walking through the glass double doors of the Best Western Fort Lauderdale I-95 Inn to be greeted by not just one, but two smiling faces, who seemed intent on making me feel at ease, welcoming me to their hotel with open arms. the grounds and the surrounding lobby area appears neat, clean, and pleasantly furnished. The desk agent was informative, and quickly completed the check-in. They did everything humanly possible to make us feel comfortable. They informed us about available breakfast every morning and a menu of foods available Thursdays thru Sundays. Our accommodations, a suite, was nicely decorated with a living room, bathroom and dressing area, and bedroom with two queen beds, another bathroom, and dressing area, with small fridge, and coffeemaker. There is an outdoor pool, and gym area. Everyone is so friendly and kind. Hotel location is exceptional and quite accessible to I-95 and you are not that far from US-1 and the portal to the beaches. In front of the hotel is a Pancake House, open for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Just past the hotel at the intersection is a multitude of well-known chain restaurants. I sincerely commend this hotel for the way they treat their guests and for the maintenance of the hotel and grounds. Thank you for being there, the way that you are!

Stayed at BW on I-95, Ft Lauderdale for two nights. My family normally stay there. They has dogs in the room opposite to me. Those dogs barked the whole night! It makes me wonder, where do those dogs sleep? Housekeeping did not have a vacuum...how do they eliminate pet hairs?

I have been working crazy and traveling. I write a review for every hotel . I must say that this happens to be the best hotel that i have stayed at. From the time of check in to the time that I checked out they ensure that my stay was the best. They Greeted me with such class and making it very well known that I would enjoy my stay. They check every morning if i was okay and if i did i need anything while on site.I must say it was a great stay and would encourage anyone that can choose this location give it a go.

We got off our cruise and decided to look for a hotel for a couple nights before driving home and found this best western the rooms were a fraction of the nearby was a no brainer to choose here from check in to check out the process was easy and headache free

This hotel is located centrally in Ft Lauderdale. The hotel is super clean and staff is super nice. 10 out of 10 stars you will not be disappointed. the price was really affordable which even adds to the value of this place.

We chose Best Western Ft Lauderdale I-95 Inn for our Griffin Family Reunion Accommodations June 20-23, 2019. I personally would like to SHARELL for all of her help with accommodating our group. We had a couple of hiccups which was taken care. I would like to commend her on Professionalism, Enthusiasm and her beautiful Personality. Thank you again SHARELL and the rest of the Staff for making our stay a wonderful experience. Now about the hotel it self, the lobby was beautiful and clean as well as the pool and pool area, the breakfast was excellent, the rooms are updated and clean, thank you housekeeping it was apparent that you take pride it what you do. Staff was accommodating, extremely pleasant and happy. Room was clean, breakfast was great. We will definitely go back. Enjoyed the variety of coffees in the room. My wife really loved the sheets. The bed was great.

Amazing experience, beyond what I expected, I never got this caring, amazing welcoming energy blended with such professionalism not even at the western plus in Coral Gables or Aventura location. Mss Sharell was phenomenal, on point, fast thinker and well done taking care of everyone I noticed while I was checking in. Mss Trinesha in the evening was rocking the night shift she was very friendly, caring and fast acting as well, both this ladies should be running a BestWestern Plus, I can assure you success all the time. I personally would recommend that if you want to feel valuable stay here at this location and let this ladies to show you what real royalty customer services is! Bravo!

We stayed over an extra night in florida after our cruise just to unwind before our long flight home to WA state. The room was clean & comfortable, and the staff was very nice. The complimentary breakfast hit the spot.

We selected this hotel based on it's location. We were taking family to the Miami airport and needed to be close to Fort Lauderdale. The hotel is easy access from I-95. The staff was friendly and attentive.. The breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. Juice was weak and watery. We arrived a little late and were tired, but our sleep was interrupted by noisy neighbors. Over all our stay was good and we would stay again if we were in the area.

I am visiting family and wanted economy verses an expensive hotel near Las Olas or on the beach. Based on the reviews, I wasn't expecting anything great but thought, “why not” for the price. The location turned out to be great. Conveniently located to anything you could desire. Also, a short drive to the beach, Las Olas or anywhere for that matter since it's ‘right' by I-95. Right when you drive into the hotel, it is set back with lots of beautiful palms and a pool area that is inviting. When I walked into the beautifully decorated lobby, I was greeted by Rochelle who was more than happy to make my check in experience great. She offered advice on take out service and it was timely and delicious after a four plus hour drive from North Florida. I was exhausted. My room was extremely clean and the decor simply elegant and beautiful. The rooms were recently renovated and it showed!! Very warm with a Florida, beachy touch of beautiful teal colored walls. I love the mini fridge, microwave and large tv with great movies included! The bathroom vanity is large and gorgeous with a Keurig. When I returned each day from my outings, my room was marvelously cleaned and staged beautifully again with all the essentials needed. Even, Argan oil lotions, shampoos and conditioners. There is a computer and printer for business, a workout room to relieve stress, an area to wash clothes for extended stay and a beautiful pool to relax. I have to mention Sharell. What a lovely spirit she is! She is beautiful and her smile is infectious. She is professional and will help you with anything you need. Also, Dan will give you a great, “Good Morning!” as you're welcomed into the area where breakfast (yes, it says continental but large delicious waffles, eggs, sausage or bacon, muffins, bagels, fruit, toast... on and on. Yes this is breakfast) is served. So if you are in the area, I speak from personal experience staying five days. “It's well worth it to visit and enjoy sunny South Florida at this Best Western”!!

Hotel is great clean and staff is wonderful. It wa very easy to check in when I get there and when you have needs they bring you the stuff in your room within 5 minutes. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Fort Lauderdale. There are a lot of restaurants around as well

This Best Western hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable, wifi was good. Breakfast was great and staff was friendly. I will definitely stay here again when in Fort Lauderdale

I am never disappointed with my stay at Best Western. I can always count on a reasonable rate. No complaints about any aspect of my stay. When I want to escape from every day life, I think BEST WESTERN! The reward card is also a great incentive for me.

Have made this our family go-to place for pre-cruise prep days when meeting up for family cruises. The hotel is right off I-95 and about 10-12 minutes away from the cruise port. The staff (Deirdre at the front desk and Dora in the dining room) make this place very friendly and efficient. They make transportation arrangements for you to the cruise port, allow you to park your car while you are on the cruise (avoids the cruise port parking fees), the pool is nice and refreshing, and the breakfast is very good. If you want to eat out, you are close to several restaurants and can quickly get a bite to eat.

We selected this hotel because it was centrally located to the places we were going to visit in the 3 days we were there. The price was stated as $116 per night, but turned out to to be $89 per night. Probably the only good thing about this hotel. Apparently they realize that for the quality they were offering, $89 was a better price. The room we were given was small, but it had a king bed, TV, microwave, fridge and A/C. The bath room had mold around the sink and in the corner of the shower. It all worked okay. The hall way to our room smelled like it was flooded with deodorizer and it was dimly lit. The elevator was dirty as well. Ice was in just one location. The room was cool but very humid. Actually the whole hotel was cool and humid. Seemed funny in that A/C is supposed to remove the moisture from the air. At breakfast, the eggs were made from powder. I think the cook added way too much powder, because they tasted like powder. Had to spit out the mouthful I took in. Sausage tasted funny and real wet. Coffee was good, as was the orange juice. The staff was friendly and courteous. I just seemed like a hotel that would soon be out of business. We will not be going back..

The room was beautiful and much bigger and cleaner than anything I have stayed at in Fort Lauderdale (and I have stayed so many places there!). It was affordable, but not “cheap”. Anthony, Milton, Sharell, and Tanisha (I think that was her name) get extra points for top notch, friendly, and personable service. And thanks to the manager Dan for making my 30th birthday a memorable one. Cheers!

The hotel is showing its age and needs a total facelift. The area at first seems sketchy but really not bad. The staff are very friendly especially in the breakfast area. I wish there were more restaurants in the area besides the typical fast food on Commercial road.

They were doing some repair work at the car port entrance, but front desk personnel was very friendly and expedient. The hotel felt clean and secure, and the room was very clean. Had a great night sleep and enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning. I highly recommend this property and come back again!

Good location and helpful front desk staff. Housekeeping could do a better job of changing the sofa bed sheets. Breakfast did not offer a original waffle mix and there was no bacon. The sausage inks were undercooked. Our stay was very quiet and enjoyable and the pool was refreshing.

This hotel is a ways from the beach, but convenient to shopping and restaurants. If you have a car it is a very easy drive to anywhere including the beaches. The staff was awesome. They were very friendly, helpful and professional. We had no issues with our stay here and will do it again as soon as we can. Rates for the weekend were considerably higher which we weren't expecting but otherwise it was a great stay.

The check in could have been better. Why don't the staff smile and say welcoming words? The two ladies behind the desk were more happy to talk to each other rather than the customer as one was going off shift after having her food delivered to the front desk! Up on the 3rd floor as you come out of the lift the cleaners had left their cleaning trolley, vacuum cleaner, this just looks to lazy, scruffy and disrespectful to all visiting customers. Tell them not to be so lazy and put their kit away after cleaning. They must have a storage area somewhere. The breakfast was ok but nothing special. Also every time expect this time I have been offered extra loyalty points instead of the bag of water and chips. Not this time the lady completely ignored me when I said this and proudly presented me with a bag I didn't really want!! The rooms are tired. Before some replies to advise “oh we are doing room updates”. It's hard to believe when this is the reply to all shabby room notes by paying customers. In all an ok place to stay for a bed but not a really nice hotel.

Stayed at this hotel pre and post cruise 03 nights. Paid $646.05 to Expedia.ca 28 October 2018, advance payment. My Visa card was charged an unauthorized amount totaling $409.32.Charges were made 09 Feb 2019 and 03 March 2019. It is now 13 March 2019 and this hotel has failed to cooperate with Expedia.ca and expeditiously refund the amount of $409.32 unauthorized and unexplained as to the nature of the charge. We had no further expenses at this hotel other than the room cost. STAY AWAY or your credit card may also be abused.

"Lost" reservation found but few rooms were available. Gave us upgraded suite, which smelled, had sopping wet carpet for 3 feet around air conditioner, ants in bathtub and clearly not recently cleaned because it was unusable. Hotel could have given use 2 single rooms but chose to house us in this suite. By the time we discovered the carpet and cleanliness issue, they had rented out the remaining rooms in the hotel.

We paid $148 plus taxes for a room at the Best Western that had a broken door lock and a broken toilet. My husband put a suitcase in front of the door as a safety guard, so if someone tried to break in during the night, it would fall over to alert him. He also had to fix the toilet flange himself. Also the breakfast room is way too small. They should have paid us to stay there. Otherwise, the place was fairly clean and had a comfortable bed.

Was pleased with the cleanliness, as well as the customer service. This hotel was located in a great location. The price was very good also. I would highly recommend this hotel, all around was a good choice.

Four adults, two teenagers. Room was set up with two beds one room and pull out bed in other room. You couldn't even call it a pull out bed as the mattress was less than pencil thin. When we pulled it out the springs were broken and mattress sagging. The kids wound up putting the mattress on the floor and having a horrible nights sleep.

I called the Hotel to ask for the airport shuttle after arriving in Fort Lauderdale. Was told there was no airport shuttle. However, when booking I specifically checked off airport shuttle, free wi-fi and free breakfast. This hotel came up as having all 3 filters. Not true, the cost to take a cab was $40+ dollars from the airport to the hotel. This was an unexpected cost. Check in was good and the staff are very helpful. The room needs some updating. The bed was very comfortable. Nothing is close by we took Uber to get around. Overall, was a good one night stay before our cruise.

The room was a little smaller than I expected, but we made it home. We also extended the stay because we're not sure when we will be back in our home. We didn't experience any noise and the employees were accommodating.

So checking in was great. The staff was very friendly. That is when I could hear them. The noise of the construction workers was defining. Of course they never mention that the hotel was under construction. Our room was on the fourth floor and had to use the elevator but alas they were not working and we tried several times with the maintenance man to no avail. So we had to carry our luggage up four flights of stairs with no apologies from the front desk. We got to our room only to find that neither key worked so I had to go back down to the front desk to get new ones. Once we got into the room the bathroom floor was dirty and we couldn't turn off the air conditioner. There was a noise from a fan somewhere that went on every 15 minutes that made sleeping difficult. I will we never book this place again

The hotel is pet friendly. We asked for a room that was not a room used for pets - we were told that we had to take the room that was given to us. When we woke up the next morning, my wife was itchy and had a number of bites. We looked in the bed and found fleas there. We told front desk so they could get rid of the fleas for the next guest - the front desk could have cared less that we found fleas. We will not stay again in a hotel that allows pets - probably hotels do not clean thoroughly enough to catch fleas. Guests with pets should be charged an extra $100 a night or whatever it takes to thoroughly clean the rooms.

We stayed there overnight before our cruise, The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were neat and clean. They arranged transportation the port and let you leave you car there while we were on the cruise at no additional charge. The breakfast was very nice and well stocked. The next time I take a cruise from Ft Lauderdale I would definitely stay there again,

The staff at BW were very kind and helpful. They went above and beyond. We enjoyed our stay and found the beds very comfortable. You can see they have tried to clean and update the hotel. Fresh paint and linens. The staff was always busy cleaning or mopping the floors. For breakfast they had a wide variety of choices. As far as location it was within 10 minutes to Park N Go or the cruise lines.

Accommodations at this location was awesome as usual, Staff was helpful and showed genuine concern for our needs and request. Will indeed be staying at this location on our return trip to South Fl. Close to beach as well.

Needed overnight motel before a last minute cruise, and this was the only Best Western (which we prefer due to membership) close to cruise port with room availability. Positive-staff did let us check in early; motel has usual amenities like mini-fridge, microwave, hair dryer, coffee pot in room, etc. Otherwise, it's a dated facility with old bathrooms, no grab bars or non-skid tub floor, tiny lobby, one of two washing machines broken, located in a commercial area on heavy traffic street, no place to eat other than a run down, noisy Waffle House next door (have to cross traffic for a McDonald's or sub shop), room keys had to be reprogrammed several times, and noisy train track on one side of building. No shuttle to airport/cruiseport-cost $40 for taxi! Unless you have your own car, are on I-95, and just need a bed for the night, this is not a good choice!

We consistently choose this property when doing our PA to FL trips...twice a year for 5 years now. If nothing is going on at the race track, prices are very comfortable. Always been clean. The breakfast bar has everything you need, maybe a little more. The woman who runs it cares about it. As I said huge rooms. The massive pool is welcoming, not jammed up. Property is convenient to many things you need...Wing House, Total Wine, Target, flea mkt, etc. Surprisingly quiet for being next to I-95

My daughter and I stay at this Hotel from Dec 31 till Jan 3.. Let me start by saying the location may scare a few off, but don't let it fool you.. this hotel has 3 close entrance to I-95.. easy 5-10 min drive to several beaches and many restaurants within a few miles.. But by far the Staff is the shinning star of this Hotel. On arrival we were greeted at the door by our names buy the most gracious Sharell.. her warmth, smile and caring personality is a gem..only to be followed by everyone being so helpful. The pool Is kept well. The rooms were very clean. And parking well lit.. definitely would return.

we enjoyed friendly service, cosy rooms and a very good breakfast here. it's not a great location for Fort Lauderdale but good for a short visit with a car. Parking is free as is breakfast and wifi. the fitness centre and pool are minuscule and just there to tick a box.

This hotel has a very good location. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. The breakfast buffet was very well supplied and the attendant welcomed everyone who entered.

We checked-in on 10dec18 in the night time .. room was setup gud however the exhaust was too noisey and loud + there was almost negligble water coming out of the tap in bathroom sync .. so overall it was not that gr8 experience with the hotel but its too close to airport and we wanted that ..

Customer service was excellent location was good for what we were looking for in the hotel for the most part was extremely clean. A very pleasant environment. All employees we're Pleasant to deal with and breakfast what was beyond expectation.

Front office staff very helpful and fiendly They recommended an excellent restuarant and arranged an efficient Taxi service to the Harbour The room was very clean and spacious . The hoel is conveniently located close to the airport and not far from the Harbour to catch a cruise ship.

I booked this hotel because a travel site listed it as having free airport transportation. When I called the hotel after arriving from a late flight, I was told there is no transportation. I ended up taking Uber for $23. The hotel was clean and provided a nice free, hot breakfast. Staff were friendly even though I wasn't. I did have a little attitude after finding there was no transportation from the airport. This was not their fault & I apologized. Bed was comfy. Room faced the tracks so I heard the train several times. I was only here for a total of 10 hours so can't comment on much else.If you are looking for a pre-cruise place, choose the other Best Western on West State Rd. It is closer to the airport.

One of the previous reviews stayed in them same room so I'll share their comment which is still true: "My particular room, which was 316, had a very obvious musty smell upon entering the room each day. The bathroom in this room was also in poor condition. Paint missing from the walls, paint on the tile floor, toilet didn't flush properly, globs and globs of caulking on the soap dish in the shower, tub drain was unattached and rusted, etc. The vanity sink has the HOT and COLD settings reversed - this can be dangerous, as the hot water is very hot. Many minor details that combine to make a truly disappointing experience." The bathroom was the same, but the room did not have a smell. (The hallway had a strange smell.) The drain plau in tub was missing and there was hair wrapped around the exposed cross bars in bath drain. Most horrific was the face cloth in the bath, supposedly clean was covered in short black hairs. Room was picked up during day. Bath rug replaced but sheets not. Beds ok. Pillows hard. Floor filthy. Got out of shower and into bed and my feet were covered in garbage from the carpet and tile. Clean feet no longer clean. Microwave weak, don't trust it. Large mini fridge. Room has iron and board. Luggage rack weak and wobbles, seems like it's about to break apart. AC worked well. Bed covers not clean. Breakfast was nothing special although the waffle was pretty good. Unfortunately the cheap pancake syrup was inedible. Sausage ok. Eggs chalky, must be powered. Woman who runs the breakfast bar is delightful and takes pride in the presentation of the spread. The hotel tells her what to serve, not her choice. Free parking, friendly staff. Would I stay here again? It's a bit pricey for the quality but in a pinch it will do fine. Not close to port or airport. About 15 min from airport and 20 from cruise port.

Close to cruise port and airport. Does not offer a free shuttle, even though some booking sites show it does. Has a pool, small but clean. Rooms were very small and outdated. My shower still had an old used bar of soap in it when we checked in (so you know they didn't clean the shower after the last guest checked out). We also stayed at the Hyatt down the road and had a MUCH better experience, I would recommend the Hyatt. Would not stay here again.

Not far from the port, decent price, nice breakfast and very accommodating staff. Comfortable and clean. Very busy lobby area in the evening. It was quiet at night, but be sure to ask for a room on the front of the building because there are train tracks just yards from the back.

I stayed here with family as we only needed one night. We had a 5 day cruise and really wanted a nice clean place at a low price to stay and this was it. This was the best Best Western to stay in. It was very clean and up to date. They have free breakfast and I can't really tell you about parking at night but definitely during the day there was plenty of parking. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall very enjoyable. Clean room, low noise level, decent hot buffet, polite/welcoming staff - definitely a strength. - Reserved a King, non-smoking & got what I ordered. - clean bathroom - able to adjust AC - room up to date, comfortable - safe area - hot buffet ran out of hot items for 10 mins, but was quickly refreshed - wake up call happened at correct time - housekeeping refreshed room adequately What was wrong? - ice machine on only 2 floors, neither worked. Hotel staff tried to see if they could get ice from hotel next door but never succeeded or else did not inform me back as they said they would - water pressure for shower was weak, then non-existent for about 1 min, finally came back on - 1st day; 2nd day was just weak. Temperature of water was ok/hot enough. - temperature control was by AC only & there was mild delay of 4-5 mis, so this was very minor - lack of fresh fruit - some cut up fruit looked like leftovers, no whole fresh fruit - only 1 slow elevator (minor) - front desk did not have any change during mid-afternoon

The hotel accommodated us even though our reservation was very last minute. Pristine and beautiful rooms, a wonderful and comfy bed, and a front desk staff that couldn't have been any more pleasant, helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Sharell and Deirdre. We will be back for sure!!

We mostly stay in Best Western Hotels, All in all it was a good experience, The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good. The one bad thing is the train runs near by and it's loud.

I've stayed at this property for the same weekend for at least the past 5 years now. I've recommended the property to others as well, always commenting that it's very conveniently located, and "very clean". This year, I brought 3 rooms worth of guests with me! I was disappointed, and somewhat embarrassed, that I can no longer truly say that the hotel is "very clean". I was let down by the condition of the rooms, especially considering my previous stays. It's clear to me that over the past 5 years, there has been a lack of attention with respect to cleaning, and routine maintenance of the guestrooms. My particular room, which was 316, had a very obvious musty smell upon entering the room each day. The bathroom in this room was also in poor condition. Paint missing from the walls, paint on the tile floor, toilet didn't flush properly, globs and globs of caulking on the soap dish in the shower, tub drain was unattached and rusted, etc. The vanity sink has the HOT and COLD settings reversed - this can be dangerous, as the hot water is very hot. Many minor details that combine to make a truly disappointing experience. One of the four days that we stayed, we received no housekeeping service, despite there NOT being a privacy sign on the door. After a long day of playing several softball games, we had to return to the room and shower, using the damp towels that had been left on the floor in the morning, as we expected them to be replaced while we were out. Another item worth mentioning, the bed closest to the window, has very sharp metal rails sticking out from the bed frame. I cut the back of BOTH of my shins over the 4 day stay. The complimentary in room coffee was a nice touch, however, the room attendant had re-folded the little plastic condiment packets after a previous guest had obviously opened them and removed some of the contents - how gross! As a result, we left this entirely unused for the duration of our stay, and went downstairs for our coffee. The hallway carpets, and the elevator floor also remained unclean for the duration of our stay. On a positive note, Dora in the breakfast area is wonderful, and she remembered me from my previous year's stays - that's always a nice touch. In sum, as a previously loyal customer, I'm afraid this will be my last stay at the property.... While I'm certainly not "high maintenance", I do have standards of cleanliness and maintenance that I expect when traveling. If I were just being nit-picky, I would have complained at the front desk about all these items - but I did not.

As the other reviews show, it is right next to the public transit track, so maybe ask for a room on the opposite side. This hotel is in the middle of a remodel, so keep that in mind. Our shower wasn't work just right but, the maintenance staff was at our room promptly with an apology and stated that the showers are next to be replaced. The staff are super friendly and the breakfast bar was like most others but with really good coffee. It's very close to the airport. It's getting there.

Our overall experience with our stay at the hotel was positive. The amenities were nice, the beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar was delicious with a good variety of items to choose from. I especially liked the waffles with the BW brand on them. My only concern is, why would they build a hotel next to the train tracks? The train goes by quite often, and over the course of our stay, we tuned it out. But it did wake me up, in lieu of my alarm, the first night. Other than that, a great stay.

Best service I've received in any hotel ever. The staff went above and beyond to make sure the visit was comfortable. The staff is like family and make you feel apart of it. The breakfast is excellent; every day had different food options with a great buffet stlye layout. I definitely will be coming back !

Elevator floor was dirty. Pillows for bed much to high and uncomfortable.Bed much too close to the wall. Overnight front desk young man exceptionally warm, welcoming and friendly early in the morning. Helpful when we arrived at night.

The staff was professional and genuinely kind. The rooms were clean as well as the linen. My friend used the exercise room and she said that she enjoyed her workout. The coffee maker did not work and it was too close to the bathroom and sink counter. so we went downstairs to the lobby for coffee which was very good. The pastries and breads should be completely covered. I was a bit skeptical due to a bad experience at BW in another location but now I have a change to heart.

Stopped here for 1 night. Clean and friendly. Breakfast was very good. A variety of items to choose from. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again.A group small ducks in the parking lot kinda looked out of place. Being an animal lover I was a bit concerned for their safety.

My wife actually booked this hotel by mistake but we decided to stay regardless. The location wasn't ideal for shopping but there are still options within 15 minutes drive. I was disappointed that there was no way to upgrade my room, as my wife booked via Priceline.com The room was small (hence my desire to upgrade) but cozy. The hot breakfast was nice. On several occasions there was no one at reception, either when I called or when I had to go down to them. The staff were all attentive, especially the lady who took care of breakfast. Our room attendant was great also. I'd stay again if I was in the area.

Very pleased with our stay. When we got to our room, it smelled of cigarettes. By the time we got back to the front desk, they had keys to a new room waiting for us. The front desk staff was pleasant and very professional. They were very apologetic about the room and did a very nice job fixing the situation promptly. The room we received was clean and very nice. We really liked that the refrigerator had a larger freezer than we are used to seeing. The location is in a bit of a industrial area, but there are plenty of places to eat just down the street and Wilton Manors is only a few minutes drive.

The room was very nice.There was a train that went by,but I didnt mind. Breakfast was nice. If your lucky enough to stay on the 4th floor (I stayed in room 406), make sure Michele is your housekeeper.She's Friggin' Fantastic! Also these housekeepers work Very hard for next to no recognition....why dont you make their day and buy them a burger and soda and leave them a nice tip. This hotel is in a great location, it is near highways. It is near restaurants and other stores. The hotel itself was clean and the staff were nice. They offer a free breakfast and free WiFi. he only downside was that it needed to be updated.

We were so incredibly happy with our stay. The room was gorgeous and perfect. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Even had a keurig in the room and lots of coffee options. The teal color was so tropical.

Elevator broke down during my stay I spent a day going up and down stairs and I stayed on the 4th floor. I was there for a women retreat and I was formally dressed going up and down stairs. I was not pleased with this matter. There was nothing they did to accommodate for this matter.

lets start with the fact that i booked this hotel through hotwire and it was the second hotel that hotwire had to send me to. I was moved to three different rooms. the first smelt of mold, the second of smoke and the third. well for protection of the hotel and i promised them i would not say, lets say the problem was resolved. because it was a third party booking there was not must the hotel could have done. hotwire on the other hand was a disaster.

A great hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Daniel, the manager, was so courteous and accommodating at check in. We really enjoyed our stay there. What stood out most to us was how helpful staff is. Definitely would stay there again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location for our needs was perfect. The pool was amazing. The staff were all friendly. My only issue was the room sprays that are sprayed in the halls and rooms. They are very overpowering. You should consider an alternative. If someone had a scent allergy it would be a problem. The breakfast and coffee were excellent.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the BW in FT Lauderdale FL on Powerline RD. Staff was very professional and friendly. Room was good deal for the cost. We definitely would recommend this to family and friends!!!! BTW, pet friendly !!!!

The house was absolutely perfect. The breakfast was delicious and a very good variety. Kathy was in charge of the breakfast and did an excellent job in keeping it stocked. Sherell at the front desk was an absolute pleasure with checking us in and making us feel welcome. Jasper was at the front desk in the evening and was an absolute pleasure. Michell (housekeeping) kept our room spotless and Dan (general Manager) took the time during the week to care about our stay and was terrific. Could not ask for a better hotel.

I am a long term user of Best Western hotels, and although the room, breakfast and pool facilities here are perfectly acceptable and our stay overall was good value, I was left very frustrated and bewildered at having my payment card of choice refused. I am from the U.K, and have a Revolut prepaid Mastercard that I have used all over the world, including the USA, to pay for countless hotel rooms, and it has always been accepted without question. Until now, that is. The guy behind the counter simply refused to accept it, and forced me to use a different credit card that ultimately costs me significantly more to use abroad. He claimed that it is a corporate policy not to accept prepaid credit cards - well perhaps all of the other Best Westerns I've previously stayed at (including 5 on this trip alone) should be hauled over the coals and retrained immediately? None of them have raised an issue. I suspect he was just an ill-informed jobsworth type. Be aware of this when considering a stay at this specific hotel. Very unsatisfactory and restrictive. I'd stay elsewhere next time.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms and hotel. Very friendly staff. easy to get around to all Fort Lauderdale locations, short drive many tourist attractions and Hollywood Fl. Will be using this hotel in the future.

The Lady at the front desk was really nice and fun to talk with! She's not the normal lady i see when i go there but it was still a good visit. Bedroom was very clean and Breakfast was great, and starts at a great time, 6AM.

I am a Best Western elite member so I always stay at a Best Western property. I chose this hotel because it was very central and I could get wherever I want in about 20 minutes. The property is immaculately clean and the hotel is decorated nicely. The pool area is lovely and the water nice and warm. The pool area was also very clean. The room was quite large and very clean. Everything was in working order and looked like it had been redone fairly recently. The bed was really comfortable! We had a pool view room and enjoyed looking out at night watching the storms roll in. The staff this place is fantastic! We really enjoyed talking to Jasper at the front desk. He gave us some fantastic recommendations for some late-night food in the area. I'll be posting reviews of that later. I highly recommend the property! I especially like the fact that they had special parking for elite members!! I will be staying with them again!!

I ended up booking this BW hotel after reading bad reviews about a previously booked BW hotel. I'm glad that I switch to this one. To make a long story short, the staff members were nice and friendly, the rooms were excellent and affordable, and my stay was enjoyable. Our room had two queen beds, two separate vanity areas and bathrooms, and a separate sitting area complete with a tv and desk. The only down side is the noise from the train, but the hotel provided earplugs. Other than that, this stay was worth it.

AMAZING!! Stay loved the staff only issue is the train but that's beyond their control. I love how they treated us BREAKFAST was the best!!!! We will be back!! Place was close to the beach 10 Min drive. Stores were close by they frit desk was super nice Manager even helped me with a wordrope issue!

there were insects in the room, also the smell of the room was just awful tried to tell the night clerk (afro hair) she offered to change rooms but not the same type of room but by the time she had figured out a room, my son had fell asleep decided to stay with the stench and everything. next morning tried to speak with the so called manager peter, had to ask him several times for his full name, he then reluctantly gave it. I tried explaining to him. he said there was no indication of my conversation with the afro clerk, i told him that was weird because she had even given me keys for another room.. so that should be there he said that all well and good but there was nothing there. so he was not going do anything. very upsetting that my issues were not important enough the night before and then certainly even not important enough even more so now by the so call manager peter gonzalez. several things that should be addressed clerk not inputting my issues at all somewhere room and elevator that is really dirty needs cleaning /deep cleaning air freshner in the room clerk just giving me a key to another room without checking my ID manager not addressing the issues when a guest is letting him know the problems they faced

Best Western is the Best the only Holtel I want to stay in or put my guest in when they travel from out of town to minister. I have always stayed in a best western hotel and always look for one when I travel.

Stayed a couple of nights. Had all amenities like iron, microwave, etc. Very good breakfast. A little noisy at times being so close to interstate, but I slept well. Customer service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful and respectful. I had no complaints.

My room was clean and beautifully decorated . Bed was very comfortable . I got a good night sleep. Other than the train passing by, i enjoyed my stay. Staff very pleasant and nice. Will stay at this property again.

When we checked in Jaspered made us feel very welcomed. That really said it all. The facility was clean quiet and breakfast was great would highly recommend this hotel. Went to a room nearby was disappointed and made a last-minute change to Best Western.

The breakfast was very good. The facility was very clean and keep up. I would return to that same Best Western when I visit Fort Lauderdale again. The pool side was great my husband and I really enjoyed the stay. Hats off to house keeping for the clean rooms the bed was very comfortable I would love to have that bed at my house.

Attentive staff, quiet room. Internet access could've been better (it was kinda slow and you had to input the password over and over), but it was at least available. The breakfast was excellent and it was next to I-95-a big plus for me.

Nice hotel right off the freeway. lots of restaurants and other services near by. I travel a lot. Therefore, for those individuals that travel for a living this is not a bad stay. location was great. services were not bad either. Room and bathroom were very clean. Room did not smell of mold at all.

when we checked in the staff at the counter was very amazing, hotel was very clean! beds and pillows were super comfy! only thing that was not acceptable was at 10:30 house keeping was banging out the door telling us we had to leave check out is eleven, had to tell her we aren't ready 6 times. as we were walking out she was very rude. other then that hotel was amazing

The breakfasts are always good and greatly appreciated to start the day, especially if getting on the road again. However, our room coffee maker items only had one cup, and the tissue box had just three tissues before it was empty.

I cannot say enough about the staff. This was not a pleasure trip. A close family member was very ill. The staff made us feel like we were coming back to a second home after a long sad day- for an entire week.

Location great, staff very helpful, nice shuttle service to port. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was very good. Shopping area near by, we were able to walk there for something to do before catching shuttle to port. Only a couple places nearby to eat, that was the only drawback, but not a big deal.

Before booking this hotel, I checked all the reviews on it. There were mixed reviews; some good, some bad. Considering the price and location of the other hotels, this one was in the middle of pricing and rating. My mom and I prayed about it before booking and the whole family headed down. I was glad to find the hotel was clean. The room was clean and no roaches were found. The downside is the handle on the toilet was broken and looked to fall off soon and the breakfast wasn't the greatest but the breakfast attendant was friendly and pleasant. Overall, it was a great experience and served our families needs as a place to crash. Did not have time to make it to the pool or check any other parts of the hotel. P.S. The walls are thin so keep that in mind when others are trying to sleep.

We selected this hotel because it is pet friendly and the cost of the room was very affordable. This trip was booked for 5 days. We were immediately struck by the courtesy and helpfulness of the front desk staff. Very engaging and accommodating almost to a fault. Very convenient and great quality! The staff is very friendly and helpful and we had a great experience...even with one small maintenance item that was handled very quickly. The morning breakfast is provided and the food is fresh, hot and lots of items to choose from. We have stayed here before because it is very convenient to where our son and his family live for us to visit and we will stay here again!!

Save yourself some trouble and stay elsewhere. Me and my family spent 2 nights here before our cruise, and it was miserable. First off, and most importantly, its LOUD. As many other reviewers state, there is a train that runs DIRECTLY behind the hotel, and every time it passes (frequently), it toots its very loud whistle. I'm a very heavy sleeper, so I didn't think it would be a problem for me. But I was wrong. this train consistently woke me up multiple times both nights. I felt like I was in the movie My Cousin Vinny. You will not get a restful night sleep if you stay here. We tried to switch to a room in the front of the hotel, but we were told those were "suites" and not available. Next up, the pool. Seemingly, its an ok pool. We spent a lovely afternoon there after going to Ft. Lauderdale Beach (which is not nearby and about a 15 - 20 minute mostly highway drive). That night we decided to eat our dinner (delivery pizza since there are ZERO restaurants around that aren't Waffle House or McDonalds), and we look over at the pool and its FILLED with geese. Feathers everywhere in the pool. Needless to say, we never went back in. Also, the workers of this hotel sit outside in the pool area after they're done with their shift, which would be fine if they weren't smoking and drinking, and if there were more tables. That afternoon we were swimming one of them had their entire family with them too, which, again, would have been fine if it were a bigger pool area, but it was not. The area itself is a dive, and felt unsafe. Good luck to anyone who left their car there during their cruise, we opted to park at the cruise terminal because it was safer. The hotel itself is very rundown and poorly cleaned. Dingy is a perfect word for it. After reading reviews on here, I checked the bed for bedbugs, and luckily ours had none. We were on the second floor. I didn't see any bugs, so that was a plus. Our room did make an awful noise, which sounded like a loud generator in the walls. We called the front desk to check it out, nobody ever came. When I called the front desk again, they said they had checked the hallway but didn't hear anything.... ok, but the sound was inside of our room, so I think they were lying. That sound would randomly come and go throughout our stay. Overall, this BW is a really rundown hotel, and it wasn't cheap either. My mother booked the room without reading reviews, but now she knows she has to do her research before booking. Save yourself the hassle, and book something nicer, even if its more expensive, because you will NOT get a good night sleep at this hotel with the train. I still have nightmares of getting woken up by that damn train whistle. There are no positives to staying here. Its far away from the beach, it's in a seemingly bad area, there are no restaurants to go to unless you're a fan of Waffle House for all your meals, the staff is unfriendly/not there unless you ring the bell and wait for them to get to the front desk, and you'll be sharing a pool with the local wildlife. Never again, Best Western. Never again.

Good basic hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable though the pillows need an upgrade. The staff is excellent. Breakfast is decent with a few hot choices such as waffles and sausage patties. Strange omelet looks like it comes out of a box. Scrambled eggs or fresh cooked fried eggs might be nicer. The biggest problem is the overpowering fragrance or cleaning product used throughout the hotel and in the rooms. My husband and I are not that sensitive but we were both coughing as soon as we got into the room. If the fragrance is nixed and the pillows improved I'd give this a 4 star rating. The area off the 95 is a little rough but there is quite a selection of Peruvian and Mexican restaurants within a short drive. The hotel does have a limited dinner menu Wed-Sun.

We stayed for a night after a concert. Our room was spacious and very nice. The breakfast was excellent, eggs, sausage and bagels. We took our breakfast to our room and went back for more coffee. The staff was very friendly.

this hotel is not a smoke free hotel, that was misleading, after my second attempt to get into the pool area, i couldn't because of all the smokers in the pool area, i was told by the front desk that the pool area is not a part of the hotel and they have to accommodate the smokers as well, i booked this hotel because of the amenities that being no smoking. i decided to sit in the lobby since i'm confined to my room where there is no smoking per hotel staff. There is no checkpoint, people are just walking in looking for a restroom, this is the worst, this is my first full day and i have one more day to go and then it's good riddance to this joke of a hotel. i will never ever book another Best western,

Stayed here for one night since arriving in the airport before going on a Cruise, overall i would recommend the hotel for this. The area is a little basic but has a few eating places around although it's quite a dull area. The bed was comfy and room was big. Only negative was the trains going passed bobbing their horns at silly hours.

The entire stay was absolutely horrible! We arrived after our flight to a long line to check in, which took 30 mins to finally get the key. The room was okay till we discovered one of the showers and sink was broken. And one of the toilets had an other persons waste in it and it was not functional.The other room we had bugs. We asked for a late checkout right when we arrived. But housecleaning rushed in and told us that we had 5 minutes to leave. When we asked for the manager, there was no manager on site and were given a card. No discount was given, just sorry. The general manager will be receiving an email but DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

If you are a smoker the pool is your heaven. For me disgusting. Not very clean, very expensive. The environnement around the hotel is not interesting. Finally it's not a good place to stay . Never never again

The folks here were very accommodating in honoring a reduced rate that was inappropriately created by another Best Western where I stayed in Miami the prior week. I try to stay a the Best Western Hotels because I know the quality and hospitality that awaits me.

It is within 15 miles of the airport, making it a great stay for a great price! The staff were very friendly, the rooms were up-to-date and spacious, along with a free full-service breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, etc.). The pool is on the smaller side and depending on when you go can be a bit chilly. Overall it is a great hotel for a great price!

Sherelle and Deidre were customer service at its finest! The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Great location for easy access to I-95. It is near the train tracks but this would not detour me from staying here again.

I had a very nice stay at this property. The location is convenient to I95 as well as other places. I was here looking for places to live since I will be relocating to Fort Lauderdale. Very clean property and very friendly staff.

Staff was great, Jasper, Deidre and Mary were very fun and friendly. They gave me many recommendations of places to go and things to do. I found the location to be very central to every where I wanted to go. The hotel had just opened their bistro. I had a cuban sandwich and it was pretty good. I hope the hotel considers offering wine in the future. The room was a nice size. Breakfast area was busy , but I just took my food back up to my room. I will stay at this hotel again when I am in Fort Lauderdale.

We stayed here for one night prior to leaving for a cruise. Also, we left our car here for 11 days while we were on the cruise. The hotel was excellent, the staff very helpful ( a special shout-out for Seaira) . When we returned after our cruise everything went very well, got our car and left on our way.

Came here with my wife and son while on vacation - and overall this was not a good experience. The room was VERY cramped and dated - the bathroom might as well have been from a roadside motel, most of the plumbing had issues. Also the bathroom was dirty and had to ASK to have it cleaned in order from them to get hair from the floor. Service was okay but I really feel that requests should not have to be repeated it order to get help - when asking for sheets we should not have to call twice to get them. Breakfast in the morning was below par as well - substitute eggs and sausage that was awful, and even oatmeal that was simply awful. Search for another hotel in this area - not worth the price in my opinion.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very nice. The room and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was good. General manager came and chat a little with us in the morning. It was like a family hotel and everything was in place for a great stay.

Due to a booking mistake by BW, we were booked in this motel--on the north side of Ft Lauderdale--vs their property in Dania (also on I-95) for the night prior to our cruise departure from Port Everglades. Turned out to be a good mistake, as the rates were about $20 lower than the Dania property, and the place was nice--up to BW's usual standards. Clean room, good breakfast, lots of nearby restaurants (but you'll need a car to reach most of 'em)--and also pizza is made on the premises if you don't have wheels. Since our cruise departed on a Sunday morning, I-95 was not heavily traveled at all, and the drive across Ft Lauderdale to the port only took about 15 minutes. We'll remember this site the next time we book a Port Everglades cruise.

stayed one night Feb 2 pre cruise. first room was covered with mold on curtains. mold on bathroom walls. asked for another room, was given a room not ant better. asked to speak to the manager. his reply to me regarding the mold was ''this is Florida we get mold. this place is a horror. put me off best westerns.

Unfortunate, my experience at this location was terrible. I would not want to spend a night at this location again. I've stayed at Best Western's in the past, yet this stay proved to be very taxing on me and my family located in Florida. Not only did I have to acquire a shower upon arriving at their home, this disrupted my plans for that day which took my time scheduled to spend with my sister. If you can be of any help to me I'd appreciate it.

This hotel was good for our needs. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Kudos to Jasper at the front desk who pointed us to a restaurant that would deliver to the hotel even during the Super Bowl game. The breakfast was the usual cereal, muffins, yogurt and self-made waffles, but they also had hot eggs and breakfast meat, real eggs not reconstituted. The room was nice and we didn't have any issue with the water pressure. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely the worst hotel and customer service I've ever experienced! We arrived in town at 3am with our dog. We did not have a reservation and found this hotel to be the ONLY one in the area with rooms available.(now I see why) In the process of checking in, a cargo train went by, blowing its horn and shaking the floors. We asked if this happens often and were told no. In the hour and a half we were there, it went by approximately 7 times.. Every time making the dog bark. We had to leave after only an hour and a half. (not what we wanted after 30 hours of driving) We asked the girl at the desk, Deidre, why she had lied about the frequency of the train? Her response was that "she doesn't hear it." (the room comes with earplugs!) We never would have checked in if she had been honest. We ended up sleeping in our car that night! We never even got an apology from the hotel and are now disputing the charge on our credit card because they refused to remove the charge!

Absolutely no water pressure in shower or bath. Wi-fi connection was none existent. Other people's hairs on my duvet cover. Overwhelming terrible smelling air freshener as you walk into the lobby and halls. Would not stay again. Checked out 2 days early.

My husband and I drove to Fort Lauderdale for a cruise. Stayed one night at this Best Western. I found everything clean, room and lobby. Room had small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Everything we needed. Exhaust fan in the bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Best of all they had just started a small bistro in the lobby breakfast area. I think we were the first customers. Lots of good menu options. We had sandwiches, the Cuban and the California Club. Both were excellent and very reasonable. It was perfect. We were tired and loved not having to leave the hotel. We will stay here next time we cruise. Free parking. Took Uber to the port.

MY wife and I flew in the day before a cruise. We stayed one night, the room was clean and well decorated. The room was as specified, had all the imedinies needed for our stay. The price was great as well. The staff super friendly and helpful with whatever was asked of them. Highly recommended

I was in town for a family emergency and they made my stay unbelievable. The young lady at the front desk (Seaira) was amazing and extremely helpful, breakfast was amazing and the room was out of this world, they upgraded me to a suite that was one of the nicest rooms I've ever been in. Would highly recommend this property.

This is an awesome hotel, very nice and clean with nice rooms. Easy access to the interstate and local amenities. Very nice location and was actually able to utilize the pool in Dec. Will be staying at this hotel on our next visit.

I found this hotel clean & well managed. It's decor is tasteful hh our room and bed were very comfortable. Reasonable pricing for an in town hotel. Can recommend this hotel. We just stayed overnight. Breakfast room is small, but the staff went out of their way to find us a table. Very considerate. Sweet dreams.

This place has bed bugs my family and I stayed there and we were bitten on our arms and legs by them.we we're moved to another room we're there roaches.not the small ones but coch roches.the front desk clerks we're nice. But if I had to do this again I wouldn't choose this hotel because the pictures are very nice but beware there are bed bugs and roaches lurking in those rooms.the manager never apologise nor did the district manager Peter. So with that being said run do not book here.the room was musty and they have bed bugs.12-26 Thur 12-28 was the worst part of my vacation for my family and I.

I was satisfied with my 4 night stay here. Found it to be Nice and quiet. Free parking , decent exercise room, staff very friendly and helpful. I thought the breakfast was excellent, sometimes the breakfast room got pretty crowded, but no big problem. Everything was clean from my experience. Negatives for me were the fact that there were no morning newspapers, had to go out for one. There were some minor problems with the wi-fi,but was helped by the staff. For the money , I thought this hotel was a good value!

I stayed at this Best Western for four nights at the end of November... and have no complaints at all. I did read other reviews with complaints such as noise from the nearby train tracks. My room was on the first floor, facing the front parking lot, and I never heard a train, once. (I do wear earplugs at night, so that may have helped, but it was totally quiet). The room is fine... great bed/pillows, good TV, nice coffee-maker and... most important... refrigerator and microwave in the room. The staff was uniformly pleasant, and general manager Dan even stopped by everyone's table at breakfast to see how we all were doing. Speaking of breakfast: lots of very nice hot and cold choices (pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausages, bagels, all kinds of bread, muffins, yogurt, juices, coffee, etc.!) The hotel's just off I-95, which makes traveling north or south very easy. Didn't use the pool, gym, or laundry room, but they all looked fine. I did see one bug in my room during my stay... and for Florida, one bug during a five-day period is pretty good!!!! All in all, great value and a well-run property.

Great place to stay. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Nice property. Plenty of amenities. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended. In just the past few months I've stayed at this particular hotel easily a dozen times. Always a good experience.

From my email survey from Best Western - "At check in, your clerk demanded to make a copy of my drivers license before giving me a room key. As a victim of Identity Theft, I asked to see the manager. I told him this fact. He relented in the demand to make a copy. If this is your corporate policy, what safeguards are there that my info will not end up in a trash can? I've stayed all over the USA and have never had a hotel demand a copy of my drivers license! Upon getting in my room, I saw it overlooked the "Tri-Rail" railroad tracks (about 150 feet from the room). A train passed by approx every 5 minutes. I called the front desk and asked for a room on the other side of the hotel. I was informed there were none available. I then asked the lady at the front desk how long the trains were active. She told me they ran until 10PM and restarted at 5AM. HOWEVER, she skipped the fact that FREIGHT TRAINS run by your hotel all night! I was awaken at least 4 times when large freight trains ran by VERY NOISILY!! I called your front desk and cancelled my 2nd day reservation. I booked this reservation through YOUR RES system - I can't believe that the close proximity of the RAIL was not disclosed. I WILL NEVER STAY AT YOUR PROPERTY AGAIN! By the way, a local FBO at the airport "recommended" your hotel to me. I made sure they were aware of the problems with your property!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, even during busy times. Room totally comfortable, including bed and in-room amenities. Of special note was the VERY quiet air-conditioning unit. Many motels have A/C units that cycle on and off with noise. I was able to sleep all night with out hearing the A/C fan motor. Breakfast was well prepared, and all items were kept stocked promptly as they were consumed by other guests. Absolutely no complaints.

They charges my bank 900 above the confirmation I received. Only excuse was the rates went up because of a boat show. No apology. There is no excuse for charging someone this much extra without first telling them.

Nice accommodation and Staff. The property was well kept. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was excellent. We would recommend this destination to everyone looking for accommodation in Fort Lauderdale.

This is a really beautiful hotel. We had a beautiful, King room and there were five fluffy pillows on the bed. The staff that we dealt with was very friendly. Their breakfast bar had a nice variety of food to choose from. Either a hot or a cold breakfast.

Our flight was cancelled after several delays. We were able to get rooms last minute. The weather was nasty and they had a shuttle to and from the airport. They forgot to tell us that it would say Holiday Inn Express. Eventually we got to the hotel and were treated very nicely. It is a green hotel where even the room remote is covered. There is a lack of lighting in the bedrooms. Very early breakfast the next morning was available as was the shuttle back to catch our rescheduled flight. Several restaurants were available within walking distance. There is no Reston the premises. Emergency personnel supplies were also available so we wouldn't have to shop for what we needed.

Our stay at this hotel was quite enjoyable. The pool area looks nice and the grounds are well kept. The surrounding area does not seem completely safe but we felt safe on the property. They offer free parking to guests and did not have any issue with us parking our car there for a one week cruise. An Uber ride to the port costs about $15-20. I would stay at this location again but might consider finding something closer to the port.

Deceptive, looks good on the computer only, rudest Front Office Manager, lizard on the bed, bad smell in the hallway, non working elevator for 2 days, had to use stairs. They made the deal to give 3 additional rooms for Saturday and Sunday on the price $109 per night as we had 8 rooms booked online. We managed all the hardships during our first 4 days but they did not keep their words when we were ready to check in on Saturday for our additional guests who were on Saturday. On questioning the rate, the Front Office Manager told us that we have the option to cancel the booking and go to a different hotel which was almost impossible as we have a game to compete in Broward County Regional Park and Stadium. Worst worst worst experience. I had never faced such a disconnected and rude Front Office Manager.

This was not the worst hotel I've stayed in but it's a close second. When we arrived the elevator was down for routine maintenance...it was never repaired. Staff were not at all accommodating. Had to go down to get our own clean towels. Bring trash and laundry to housekeeping.

We stayed for 4 days. Problems during checkin, I had to call BW service myself to get clarification. Bad cleaning, room not made up, but towels removed. Had to call several times for service Location is ok, close to interstate 95. hotel overall in a good shape

When we checked in, there was a big confusion, we booked 4 nights (on bestwestern.com), the frontdesk stated only have one night. Showing the booking confirmation (4 nights), frontdesk mentioned I have to call Best Western booking hotline for clarification. I claimed she have to clarify, since she is frontdesk, it must be her task to clarify. It ended up in, that I had to call the hotline! It turned out that frontdesk looked up the wrong booking. The size of the room is ok, shower/toilet is small. The housekeeping is a big mess, cleaning not very well and the last night they did not make up the room. Towels where removed from room, but not replaced! Had to call the frontdesk two times to get towels. Breakfast is really bad quality, we tried first day and then skipped it for the rest of the stay. The ground floor had a smell of marihuana. I can not recommend this hotel, I know it is a low budget hotel, but I would have expected that the service will have a standard and they know how to clean and make up rooms.

The staff is nice, they take the time to help you! I recommend this hotel, close to the airport, the beach and all what you need around. The general manager is an awesome guy, ready to listen you, taking the time to speak with you and doing everything to enjoy your trip. I recommend this location

In my opinion the name of this hotel should be changed to Worst Western. There are one elevator in the hotel and it is congested and dirty all time. The rooms smell bad. This hotel must be avoided if you would want a good trip.

I went to FL for a family member's baby shower. I was originally going to stay at her apt but there were already 5 other people staying there so we just decided to get a hotel. I've been to best westerns before so I thought I knew what I was getting, just a simple hotel that was clean and had free breakfast. Not this hotel. Customer service is horrible, no one says hello or good morning to you and they all walk around like you're a burden. The front desk employees don't have a uniform (i saw someone in a PINK zip up hoodie from Victoria's Secret) and when their not busy talking to each other their ignoring you or give you attitude. The hotel has a weird smell everywhere it's like smoke mixed with mold & I woke up coughing every morning & my throat would hurt for at least 3 hours after I left the room. There isn't even mini bottles of water in the fridge that could've helped my throat. Aside from the odor, chipped paint everywhere, and the fact that you can hear people talk outside of your room (especially housekeeping who would discuss people they don't like) I have bed bug bites. And first I thought they were mosquito bites because they were on my ankles and legs but I have them all over my back, the back of my thighs, arms, neck & stomach.

Staff was so friendly. Located directly off of I-95 in north Ft. Lauderdale made for easy access. My room was clean, bedding was comfortable and the breakfast was dynamite! The pool had a nice tropical setting. Will definitely be back!

Pricing was good pretty clean front desk lady was nice. Breakfast was ok room was clean and maintained good. The only downside was the train tracks right behind the hotel. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend ear plugs. Bed was ok.

This review is long overdue, sorry. I don't see why this hotel doesn't have higher ratings. Well I stayed here twice, they gave me the same room both times. Being the indecisive person that I am it's always hard picking a hotel ..especially when you read these reviews and look thru these pics lol, I was superrrrr happy with this best western. CLEAN! The lobby, the room, the pool area and dining area all clean. The staff is super nice and helpful. It's quiet even though it is close to train tracks. Amazing location, I ubered and walked pretty much everywhere. I even took a bus about 10/15 mins to a Walgreens. You have a Waffle House right outside the hotel, a beauty supply store across the street that sells a variety of things from hair to toothbrushes, a few gas stations, a Miami subs, McDonald's all in walking distance. They even let me check out late, with a fee of course but not expensive. I'm a very picky eater but breakfast was okay nothing to complain about. This hotel is very nice. Sorry I didn't take pics, wish I did.

The nicest thing I will say is that the staff were very professional and nice. Our room on the other hand but wait before I even get to that I must preface this by saying the WHOLE BUILDING needs to be re- carpeted immediately. You can smell the moldy carpeting as soon as you enter. It's undeniable. It's worn out completely- smoky, moldy just old. The worst night I'd ever had in a hotel-couldn't sleep & when I finally did drift off- I immediately found myself in the throws of a nightmare to which my husband woke me from but that was @ around 430am I couldn't wait for morning to check out. Sorry this ones not for my valued TA family. Happy travels.

From the time i was staying at best western I-95 Inn I, have always enjoyed my stay. the staff is always friendly and helpful and i always recommend friends and family about this hotel. from the first time i have stayed here i haven't stayed at any other hotel since.

This hotel although priced right, is close to train tracks. Expect noise from passing trains. I stayed for three nights and my room was not cleaned. When I returned, I had to go to the lobby to get fresh towels. Apparently my room was 'missed'. When I asked if it would be cleaned, I was told housekeeping already left for the day.

The management and personnel are exceptional. The location was convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel to others. I stayed at this hotel in May and returned because of the way the hotel is managed. The front desk personnel were wonderful as well.

Do not stay here, dishonest people working at this hotel, I left my phone charger in the room and called them to ask if housekeeping had turned it in but they said no. Hotel not in a good area, also close to a railroad track, good luck trying to get a peaceful night of sleep

This is a great place to stay in Ft. Lauderdale. Just far enough from the beach to enjoy other things but close enough to get there when you want too. THis was a very clean and pleasant place to stay. The staff was great. Very helpful!! I love the beds they were perfect for sleeping !!!

We checked in the hotel yesterday and the first noticeable thing is that there is only one way in & out of the hotel. When we checked into the room we discovered there was no ironing board so I had to go to the front desk to get one even though the front desk guy seemed reluctant to give me one. Secondly the room is very small and so is the bathroom. Also there is no night clock but the microwave does have a time display. Overall the room is clean and the breakfast was pretty good so I would recommend the establishment for future travelers.

This a decent hotel. Rooms are decorated nicely, on the small size but plenty of room for one person. Convenient coffee maker, plenty of outlets, comfy bed, fast internet. Just what I need for work. Close to the interstate and other things. I'd stay here again!

My husband and I were booked into this hotel (in error) by his WorkAdvantage group both for the night before and the night after our cruise. This might have been less of an issue had we had a better experience. I will start out by saying the front desk attendant, Melissa, was very personable and did what she could to help. We booked these nights back in March. We called ahead the day we were checking in to let them know we were coming in a late flight and would be checking in late. They said no problem. We got there and they did not find our check in sheet and were told that it was probably because we booked so early. We would have thought that booking early guaranteed our King bedroom. We were told that unfortunately all that was left was a handicapped room (queen bed) and that they were completely booked. We agreed to that (although surprised by it) and wanted to confirm that the next night we were staying was what we had asked for. We were surprised that their credit card check in was so antiquated that Melissa had to call in the charge. We went to bed around 11:30 just as a train whistle blew and we could hear and feel the train go by. Hoping that it was an intermittent situation, we went to bed until I was woken up by a whistle blast and train passing at 3 am. I couldn't sleep after that and not long after, the next door guests were laughing then arguing and screaming at each other and laughing again. Then they banged on the wall a couple of times. My husband went to the front desk to complain and as I was waiting for him to return a large cockroach scurried across the wall and under my suitcase. Around 5 am the train went through again and then probaby every hour or 1/2 hour after that. We rebooked at another hotel for the second night we had planned to stay because there was no way we were going to spend our last day on vacation, which happened to be our anniversary in this place. I would NOT recommend this place at all. I went back and read some of the reviews and though the Manager seems to respond with the same, "I'm sorry you experienced this (uncommon) situation (train, bugs, loud guests even!), it's clear that these are pretty common complaints!

Clean hotel, a bit of painting going on but not an issue. Nice staff . Would prefer a bit more quality of breakfast items and a little more variety but still good as is. Bed had a bit of a crinkly feel under the sheets which took away from the otherwise very plush feel it had.

This hotel is a great location, it close to the airport and shopping and gas station. The staff were friendly the courteous. The only problem is the breakfast area is a bit small and the choices were limited. It a good place to stay for a short trip.

This is by far the best hotel that we have stayed at ever. The Assistant Manager Shellie went above and beyond to make my family feel comfortable. Her staff were all very friendly, caring and were always asking what they could do for us. Outstanding is the best word to describe our stay. Thank you Shellie.

The most impressive thing on this trip was the kindness of the staff at the reception desk, the sincere reply, the friendly service of the room service staff, and the staff who prepared the rich and amazing breakfast. It is strongly recommended for those who want to stay.

The outside pool area was very large and nicely decorated, with plenty of space and lounge chairs. It had a Lg dining area where we were able to gather and play games during the afternoon / evening hours We really enjoyed having a Keurig coffee maker in room

The hotel staff were very polite. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The Wi-Fi was slow and the water pressure was low. The shower was not properly cleaned. There are quite a few homeless people in this area. I would stay at this hotel again for business, but not with my family. The breakfast was okay, but lacked meat (bacon).

The stay at the BW hotels and resorts have always been a great and relaxing experience. The receptionist during check in was very friendly and felt she was there to help if I had any problems during my stay. The internet connection was great no interruptions, Great selection of TV programs and the hotel location was perfect for continuation of my trip, The breakfast was great and had more selections then I have seen at other BS hotels,

I never would've thought that this type of hotel would've had such high quality amenities as well as such a great staff. Everything from check in to check out was great. The fact that there are pet friendly was even better. The manager on duty was EXTREMELY helpful. This was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. I can't remember her name but she was more helpful than she needed to and went above the call of duty. She was great.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean, had a friendly staff, and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were nicely decorated. Completely satisfied and it was a great price! I would definitely stay again.

I must admit...I had a great weekend for the price. The Best Western I-95 hotel is very clean in all areas. I stayed on the 3rd floor and the hallway smelt awsome, entering room I felt welcome. The bed was very comfortable with clean white linen and 6 pillows. The room had a mini fridge, microwave and a good size tv. The hotel also have a pool and serves breakfast from 6 am to 10 am, on the menu are a variety of nutritious food.The bathroom was also clean and up to date which is a plus for me. The hotel is not that far from the beach and major restaurants. Check in and out was very easy and all the staff were friendly and approacable. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Fortlauderdale.

Disclosure needs to be given about train roaring through directly behind building! The room was average and linen clean- other than lack of sleep due to train. It was an over night stay- not much more to say about it.

The rooms were comfortable and the hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed sitting by the pool and relaxing or taking a short drive to the beaches. A good hot breakfast was provided every morning.

Write up attached to hotel totally incorrect. Located miles from anywhere in an old unused industrial area with old de funk railway cars...don't go out walking in the dark. Places of interest...mac Donald's and chilies rest...

Enjoyed my stay and staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Noise level was good. Only draw back was the Internet. It was slow and many times I was unable to connect. Overall, I had a comfortable stay.

My wife and I could not asked for a better place to stay. Lots of places to eat and shop near the hotel. A very secure place to leave your vehicle while cruising. The room was very clean along with having a microwave and small frig.

As soon as I arrived Thomas was very helpful. Along with Patrick. The customer service was excellent! I came here for vacation and had a real bad experience with another hotel, but as soon as I checked in I they made my whole experience much better! Just spent most of a day and night here and I'm amazed at how cool this place is. They have everything....pool, laundry, etc...and Top Shelf stuff in the rooms, like a Keurig coffee maker and large screen TV. The staff is also great.. Friendly, and going beyond to help you out. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. I've stayed in way higher end hotels that aren't as nice as this! WiFi is super fast also. Rooms are immaculate, clean and pleasing. .....z

this hotel was excellent. The breakfast are was very large and accommodated many. The staff helped us with a personal 'motorcycle' incident (our bike broke down...had to leave it at hotel while we went to Key West without it) The staff ensured us it was safe and will be watched for the 4 days we were gone....and it was.

Service was good and the employees were very nice and helpful. The breakfast every morning was excellent. I didnt think that the hotel would be this nice but where i do go back to Florida I'll stay there again.

The staff and accommodations at Ft. Lauderdale 1-95 Inn were exceptional. They were very thoughtful, courteous and kind. They helped us by placing us in a very quite room. They helped up find a place where we could have dinner within walking distance. They helped us with transportation to the airport.

The hotelroom was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was okay. We stayed here last weekend of Spring Break and the receptionist made sure we had a quiet room The hotel is situated in a poor location with a train track that runs behind the hotel and highways nearby, and only fastfood restaurants in the neighbourhood . Overall if you only need a place to stay than this is a nice hotel for the money.

Bathrooms are very slippery. Their bath tub was very slippery and i slipped amd damaged my eyes. My sister ran downstairs to get a first aid kit and explain that there was an emergency on our room. No one from Best Western had the courtesy to see how badly i was damaged due to using THEIR facility. No courtesy from general manager...mr. Christopher Ott who was extremely rude and showed no remorse whatsoever. This review is to let others know that when u stay at Best Western you stay at your own risk. I will never stay at this hotel again!!!

My husband and I stayed here on our way to Key West to break up the drive. Upon our arrival the credit card computer was not working so the front desk clerk had to make copies of my credit card and ID or I had to pay cash. (The copying of cc and ID always cause me to worry about fraud) I did receive an email receipt later the next day after we had checked out. The breakfast had many hot and cold options and was kept well stocked. The hotel staff were courteous. It's Florida so I expect bugs, but we saw several cockroaches so it might be time to get a new pest control service.

Great value. I found this Best Western by searching the area extensively, reading reviews and comparing prices. I would agree with many of the other reviews. The price is probably the best bang for your buck in this area. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. I wish the fruit was not frozen and bacon was offered more often. We ate breakfast here 5 days in a row and only saw bacon on the first day. I would also definitely agree with the train comments. Fortunately, we were in a room facing the front of the building. The trains did run all night and sounded their horns as well. We could hear them loud and clear and can only imagine what it sounded like in a room facing the tracks. Overall, worth the stay. Close to the highway and minutes to downtown. Also, definitely check your GPS. This Best Western is on Powerline Road yet the GPS takes you to a sketchy road on the other side of the tracks. Best Western should look in to having the pin on Google Maps moved.

The first floor looked a little dated, eating area was great, every where else smelt like cigarettes or weed. People were setting off alarms a lot and no one dealt with it on the second floor. The train did not bother me, it was more of the people that only cared about themselves aswell, bad vibes from the front desk onward, except when the girl was working. AC units looked like they were from the 90s.

This was a great place to stay. It was clean and the staff was wonderful! I left my night gown there and called when i realized it..House keeping held it for me until we drove through later that week! I was so impressed!

I enjoyed my stay very much. No problem to report. Everything was great but I truly appreciate the staff at the front desk. I didnt get a chance too enjoy the pool because me and my daughter had a very busy schedule so next time I will.

Pit stop for journey from Leesburg to Key West. The hotel (we've stayed with BW before) was OK as was the free breakfast. Room was clean and acceptable but nobody told us about the trains!! Our room was right next to the Railroad track and ALL the trains hooted/whistled/horn'd every 18 to 25 minutes ALL NIGHT!!! Guess you don't need an alarm clock! Never again here.

We had just returned from a 14 day Trans-canal cruise, and wanted to spend an overnight in Ft. Lauderdale before continuing on our vacation. This hotel was an excellent choice, and met all our expectations.

I rated this a poor because the location is around an industrial area within close proximity to train tracks There was NO places around the hotel to get dinner and drinks had to drive 15-20 minutes to get to one after driving 12 hours that day Next time will drive a little farther or get off before this We were on our way to Miami to board a cruise on Saturday and always drive in the day before had decided to get closer to Miami this time Might go back to staying in Daytona Beach Best Western that is walking distance to an Alehouse

The hotel is new or recent renovated, Very helpful staff (Kyle was excellent). Easy to find, parking, nice pool not big but ok. The room was perfect, bed comfortable, refrigerator, microwave, coffemaker. They offer breakfast and is very good !Nothing walking distance , If you are the people that like to stay in the Hotel all day this one is not for you, no bar or restaurant. For Business people great. For me it was perfect and I got an excellent rate.

My son left his hiking boots in the room.We were told by the front desk 30 minutes after we checked out that the boots would be held until we returned 7 days later.They were not there when we returned

I really liked this hotel and enjoyed my stay. If it is not a new hotel, then it must have been excellently renovated, remodeled and outfitted. It was a great value and compared to all my other hotel stays in Florida, I believe this one had the most for the price. It is a small hotel (40 ish rooms) so the staff can never be overwhelmed and they had everything comfortably in hand. There is no remarkable view (no monument, vista, beach, landmark, etc) but the grounds and landscaping are nice. I saw the pool but didn't use it. There are no noises, loiterers or vagrants. You will need a car. It is a few blocks from the interstate. There was a security guard every evening until morning. There is a train track at the back so you do hear the train go by but it was not a bother to me. The offered breakfast and it had hot items including eggs, make your own waffles, fruit, juices, pastries, etc...better than most hotels that have included breakfast. I will surely go back, if they keep their price low.

Good for my needs with my dog. Friendly toward me but not toward a black woman with kids during the breakfast and also when they were checking out.. I found the repeated public complaints directed at this young mother and the threats voiced by the staff member to be inappropriate. I doubt if the staff would have done the same to me, a white 50s man. The complaint stemmed from how much food was being eaten at the buffet. I found it very disturbing that the staff would do this.

We liked it and will be back and we will reccomend your hotel to other persons who are traveling to ft. lauderdale. We have stayed at your property 3 other times and like the rooms and the beds and the fact that the rooms come with a microwave and friege.

The staff was nice they where able to get us a room early because we got there early from getting off a cruise ship. We appreciated that very much. The pool was nice we played in it all day. The one bad thing was when we first went to the pool there where homeless people using the pool which was interesting. Also there is not much around the hotel.

Location convenient to I-95 and FT. Laud. airport, but that's about it. However, for any clean freaks out there, you Germophobes, this hotel sparkles, from the parking lot to the lobby to the elevators to the rooms. Period. A testament to proper management, as well as staff dedication.

The hotel is nice, but it definitely has the potential to be much better. The hotel staff was friendly. They allowed us to check in early and check out late. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast area is spotless! The kitchen lady, Dora is super friendly. She was constantly bringing out fresh food and made sure everyone's breakfast experience there was great. That is probably the only positive thing about this place. First of all, avoid this place if you are a light sleeper. There are train tracks right behind the hotel and the train does pass by very often. It was noisy, but it was no big deal to our family. Our room was on the 3rd floor and the hall smelled horrible. The ice machine had broke and leaked water onto the carpet. However, the hotel maintenance had a dryer on the floor to ensure the carpet was dry. What they needed was a dehumidifier because of the humid smell. The smell went away after about two days. The day we arrived, the house keeping lady walked right into our room without knocking! She didn't even apologize and continued to walk right in after she saw us settling in. Right when we got over the situation, it happened two days later with a different house keeping lady! Also, there was a Caucasian man with dread locks roaming the halls knocking on doors after hours. I complained about him once to the front desk and they informed me he was staying there. A few days later he was doing it again and this time he knocked on my door! He knocked on my door for approximately 5 minutes at 2AM. I called the front desk and he immediately came upstairs. He informed me he was the General Manager's ill son and that he lived on the hotel's 4th floor. Here comes the WORST part…. The hotel has ROACHES!!!!! They must have a bad infestation because I did read several reviews about roaches and clearly nothing has been done to get it resolved. I saw 2 small ones in our room a big one in my friend's room and another big one on the elevator. When I checked out, I informed the front desk and he noted it down, but it is unlikely they will do anything about it. The hotel needs to be bombed/fumigated to get rid of the bugs. Overall, my visit could have been A LOT better. I have had nothing but nice experiences at BW's but I will not be returning to this specific location.

The hotel is very accessible off I95. Location is a plus as it is close to most of the areas. The hotel was very clean and the staff is very friendly. Definitely I would return when my travel needs bring me to South Florida area

Was first time at this hotel for a business trip but decided to try this hotel after an employee stayed there and was very satisfied and referred me to try it. After staying here myself, I will be glad to refer anyone else to stay here as I enjoyed the experience.

I can't believe how cheap this hotel was! This was easily the nicest room I've ever booked for $80. The room felt very clean and had a huge king size bed with a new TV. It even came with a Keurig with many different coffee and tea options. The free breakfast in the morning was great as well. We stayed here the first night of our Fort Lauderdale vacation last month. And it was actually a walk in stay. We knew we'd be arriving into town late and just wanted a simple room before checking into our resort we stayed at the rest of our trip. Funny thing is this hotel was 100 times nicer than our resort that was three times the price. Only negative thing I can say is the hotel is near train tracks. I could see the noise bothering some, but I sleep with a white noise app anyways which easily drowned it out.

There is little around the area of the hotel as itis mostly commercial. It was close to the highway and only 20 or so minutes from the airport. The hotel was clean and we say them doing maintenance and painting while we were there. Breakfast was ok. Did appreciate the almond and coconut milk was available in steak of cow's milk. There is train tracks directly behind the hotel with some noise and whites now and then. There is also a small airport nearby but we only heard one or two small planes.

My stay at the hotel was pleasant: nice clean room, workout facility; sparkling pool, and well-maintained grounds. However, I was very disappointed with the lack of customer service and willingness to help by the front desk clerk on duty upon my arrival at the hotel. While checking in, I asked the clerk (Peter) if the room was on the first floor; he blandly stated that it wasn't. I again stated my preference, "I really wish the room was on the first floor", and rather than accommodate my request, he mindlessly stated, "the computer pre-assigns the rooms". This was a simple request that could have been easily accommodated. Everything else at the hotel was great... especially their extensive selection at breakfast.

Room clean, bed comfy, bathroom very small, TV sucked most channels the signal was all fuzzy and several didn't come in at all, but the breakfast was surprising good along with the friendliness of the staff. However at check in the clerk wasn't as friendly as all others we encountered in fact he was quite cold and short. Railroad behind it but you hardly noticed trains were infrequent and very fast only seconds long.

Everything was great during our stay. The breakfast was good. The stuff made sure they kept everything clean and made sure it was an enough for everyone. My kids really enjoyed the pool. I had forgot (or lost) my id on the way to the hotel and they were able to still help me without any problems. My key and paperwork was ready when I arrived and everything was ready when I checked out. It was a very easy process. Thank you

So I booked my reservation online on the 23rd for 24th to 27th. Prior to doing so spoke with a very professional gentleman by the name of Thomas who placed me on hold in order to verify he was providing me with accurate info, which I appreciated. After speaking with Thomas i felt very competent in my understanding of procedure. You see my home was being fumigated for termites and I needed an earlier check in (ok 20$ for early check in) Thomas was so professional he spoke with the assist manager and the general manager one of whom I spoke with just to verify Thomas's statements. So upon arriving I approached the front desk to not be greeted by a human being named peter. So I said good afternoon my name is so and so my reservation number is129871336699 but this very very rude human does not let me finish he points to the sign and coyly barks at least 6/7 times check in is at 3. So I said well if you would let me finish could explain that I spoke with Thomas and an early checking was initiated on my behalf.they sighed and walked off without a word. Me my partner my 15 yr old and my 18month old sat there 20 min. (I checked repeatedly) so during that time i went on line and found some numbers to customer care. Got up walked out after calling out loud of any one. Went back to my home thank heavens they were just unloading the tent ran inside and called customer care whom called the hotel to make sure peter was forced to perform his front desk duties.so I checked in i believe around 2:45. Now the room. Which stunk so bad when I went to get the house keeper to deodorize it she walked in my rm and said ieee turned her nose up and walked around spraying vigorously the lovely febreeze. When I following day I realize the organic no hormone no antibiotics chicken I fried which cost me 14.00$ , my yukon gold potato salad, and my sons goat milk. Had all spoiled. Because the refrigerator in 425 was broken but I still had to wait until the 26th (peter) also the television in the living rm area is fuzzy maintenance came said he let them know to change rm. No one ever addressed it. So I asked the asked the assistant manager what's going on will something be done about the issues. She was polite about it but let me know that its not her fault its Comcast and if I've ever dealt with the cable company. ...... I politely let her know no I have boxes. I am very disappointed with my overall stay. The only thing that made it tolerable was that it is quiet and the hallways smelled better than the rooms so upon leaving the rm you take a deep breathe. Oh and let me not forget to commend Gerald who welcomes your guest opens the door for them. And has a genuine caring ability. Without a doubt Thomas and Gerald are the two employees that conduct themselves with hospitallity.

I stayed March 21-March 27, 2016. The hotel is clean and nice and everything looks new as if they must have recently remodeled and refurbished. The laundry, gym, rooms, entrance, dining room (breakfast buffet),beds, furniture and fixtures all looked new and classy. The bathrooms were huge and generous. The staff (including Girard, Gianni, Tiffany) were always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast offering was nice too. No views and the grounds are quaint. I was there for vacation, cruise and shopping (I didn't mind the trains because I have lived in NYC). It is close to Waffle House, Walmart, Sam's, etc. No bus or shuttle service. Security all night. I shopped around for the best rates that week and this was among the lowest. I have paid more for 3-star hotels in Miami, Orlando, Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale....this was the nicest.

Room was nice and clean, continental breakfast included. Outdoor pool available. Wanted to check in early and had to speak to the Manager and after a bit of convincing, he agreed to have a room clean within 1 hour for us, although we drove 28 hrs straight. He had a large group the night before. When we finally got a room, everything and everyone was great!

Was a two night visit for celebrating a relatives 105th (yes 105) birthday. The hotel location was in the middle of all the planned events just off I-95. But beware, I-95 is a traffic nightmare. The only real drawback was we had to do a U-turn to get to the hotel on Powerline Road.

I had to occupy the sofa bed, and found out that it was broken. I reported it to the front desk, and came back and the sofa bed was still not fixed, and the manager admitted that the last person that booked the room broke the bed. Giving me a room with a broken bed should have never occurred. The manger nor employees were accommodating about this. I was VERY displeased!!!!

We expected to hear the I-95 but did not expect to have the commuter train tracks right outside the window! As the train blew through sounding its horn multiple times an hour it meant we didn't get a good night's sleep. The bed was comfortable and the rooms clean (which are two big pluses). Breakfast was included in the rate and was okay. Both coffee and tea were available in the lobby 24 hours a day - and were most welcome. The outdoor pool was a welcome diversion, the towels a little small (which we have found quite frequently at other hotels).

I cancelled this reservation twice and have still been charged for room. I spoke to Best Western about this but they say I must pay. So I have registered a dispute with credit card company. Because of this charge I will not be staying at any Best Western Establishments in the future and will make sure my friends and family all know about this unfair incident.

Our room faced a high speed commuter train track and the train ran off and on all night. Very loud, horns, track noise, difficult to sleep. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. The selection was outstanding, the lady in charge was caring and the area very clean.

Nothing like the Best Western we stayed at in WPB last year near City Place. It was a very good stay for the money, This Best Western is in a dismal location and the hotel parking lot was full of trucks & trailers & some of the hotel guest seem a bit undesirable. In all fairness the hotel staff was okay and the breakfast in the morning was good. We had to go through 3 rooms before we found a decent one because some smell of cigarette smoke and the room was dingy. I would not recommend this hotel to any one to stay. BTW > elevator smell like a dead skunk!

All the staff were very welcoming, showed us their coffe.tea,hot chocolate, juice machine in the Lobby 24/7! microwave oven, fridge, fancy coffee machine,hairdryer, shampoo,body lotion+, bed was soft but firm with soft sheets, loads of pillows! everywhere was spotless. they were very proud of their property and rightly so.

Me and my family stayed at this property for about three nights and was a very pleasant experience, except only for one thing, the train is passing behind the hotel at late night and early morning, but then when you go to the breakfast they make you forget about this problem, specially Ms Dora Gonzalez that was a real pleasure to meet, she is always ready to meet you with a beatiful smile and a great breakfast, very clean area, also the rooms are clean, the front desk staff are also very kind and helpful. It was a wonderful experience and we are planning to repeat the next month. Thank you very much, great job!!!

The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and attentive and the breakfast was great. Both the exterior and interior were impressive and the price was reasonable. We stayed at this hotel for one night en route to Pompano Beach since we took a very late flight. We were pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend this Best Western.

Nice and clean exterior and interior lobby. Room was clean. Good bed and bedding. Good access to cruise port. Not a beach hotel if that is what you are looking for.Nice breakfast buffett and good seating for couples and families. Selection of food was pretty good and the coffee was good. there arent't any restaurants within walking distance except at the hotel next door. that food was average.

Please do not consider this hotel, terrible smell upon entering hotel, requested quiet hotel room only to learn of train going by all hours of the night. The phone did not work, several requests to fix, nothing. Toilet broke, called for service early evening, said a plunger would be brought up right away, none brought until the following morning, waking me up. Most disappointing, when asking for late checkout because my Son was sick, was not provided by very rude General Manager!

My daughter and I were at hotel for a total of 11 days, to be honest the first couple of day s the room was clean properly, but as the day s passed , the situation became worst. Rug not vacuumed, live bugs, dead bugs, sink and bath not wash down. i presented myself at front desk 3 times, manager not present will advise him of situation via email I honestly do not know if Mr Christopher Ott was advised or just did not have the decency to come forward. Only once we received a call from front desk at 11:30pm offering us to change room, a tad late to pack up room and wake up daughter, Unacceptable. i was then told that I had to be understanding because I was at hotel for a long stay which meant my room was only made up at end of day, which basically means your room will be made up last. So if I understand properly my room will be cleaned if I am on a short stay , and if I stay longer to bad your room will be done at end of day. We came back one day at 3:45 and are room was still not made up. Unacceptable Another issue when your husband calls from Canada phone rings between 5 to 15 minutes before answering. I actually went downstairs to see what problem was, clerk at desk is in back office doing stuff! Answering phone should be a priority for customer service. And to be honest the trip was to take care of family business since my father had passed away, I just did not have the energy to make a commotion with the staff that really was not present or attentive. i just really tried to keep my positive energy for myself. (I dealt with a indian gentleman and a elderly lady at desk) I filled out customer service survey from best western, never heard from them also, I guess no one cares, no effort was made to accommodate or fix the situation. My room was never clean and i was not happy at all i went to the front desk and told them and they offer me new sheets and said that i could change my own bed and dump my own trash . i will never stay at this hotel again

Went to this hotel based on reviews. Did not expect a Hilton for no-name price. Price was very well fair for this hotel. A little older, not the best area and equipment a bit older. But convenient to I95, place was clean, friendly staff and decent breakfast. Would definitely return.

Room smelled like smoke. TV did not work. Breakfast was below average. The front desk was not very helpful with the issues. There was also a train track right behind the hotel and the horn was blowing on and off all night long. When I call for reservations the I asked how old the hotel was and the person said one year.... it was obvious is was much older.... like twenty years old.

Honestly this was the first trip that I planned and I have had very very little experience with reserving a hotel but the hotel staff made it a real pleasure to stay here. I've never been to Fort Lauderdale so I was a little surprised at the location of the hotel, but after spending three days driving around the area I quickly realized the hotel is located in a great area. There's a Publix up the street, numerous gas stations, and the interstate isn't very far either. What really sold me on this particular Best Western was the staff. They were extremely helpful, friendly, and obliging to my boyfriend and I, as well as to the other guests. I am very glad I stayed at this hotel!

So this property is ideally located just off the I-95 and super easy to find. Our room was clean and the breakfast room was excellent. The staff both on front desk and in the breakfast area were great. Only problem is there is a train track not even 50 feet behind the hotel and every hour on the hour the train goes roaring by, signals clanging and whistle blowing. I was confident that surely this wouldn't continue all night but I was wrong! It went on all night long. It was the worst nights sleep ever. I reserved the room on points so I guess they made sure I had the worst room, but I can't see how other guests even on the other side of the hall wouldn't have been hearing the trains too.

Booked this hotel on Priceline before departing on a cruise. Everything closer to the port was grossly over-priced. Walking into the lobby was my first sign of trouble. There was a horrible smell of chemicals not sure what it was but it was not pleasant and it was over-bearing. This hotel is right next to the freeway and worse yet it is right next to a railroad track that is active. Bring ear plugs! The rooms were a bit smaller than most hotels at this star level. The breakfast was ok, nothing to brag about but no problems except the eating area was too small for the amount of guests eating. It was quite crowded. Glad we were just there for a short stay. Its also not in an area of town that you would want to go walking the streets looking for a dinner restaurant. Luckily we found a Thai restaurant that delivered. Wouldn't book this hotel again.

Our room was beside the train tracks which was not pleasant, but not all that many times. The rooms need upgrading especially the floors. The bathrooms are all the same apparently, and they are so tiny if a person with long legs tried to close the door while using the facilities they might not be able to. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean.

We drive to Ft Lauderdale several times a year so my wife can see her Dr. @ Nova SE University & have always stayed at another facility close by. This trip we found out at the last minute that we would have to bring our dog & cat. Our usual Hotel is not "pet friendly" so I had to cancel & find another place to stay. Very difficult at the last minute during February season, but The Best Western 1-95 Inn was able to accommodate us and the pet(s) for our 1 night stay on a Sunday. This Hotel was about an additional 20 minute drive to get to our Dr. appt @ Nova but we had no traffic problems at 9:15 am on Monday morning. I almost did not book because of some of the comments (train noise etc) But we were pleasantly surprised by this small hotel. First, there was no unusual smells & no "febreeze" type of smell in the lobby, halls or in the room, which was a big plus as those sprays make my wife ill. We heard no train noise & no noise at all for that matter. We had a first fl room on the parking lot side. The room had hard flooring which is great for a room accommodating pets. Frige, microwave, Cable TV, Internet.etc. The bed & pillows were comfortable with extra pillows & were triple sheeted. The a/c worked great in any mode that we set it on Sink area is separate from the lav/shower & is more than adequate size for 2 persons. The lav/shower wasmwuite small. The door barely cleared the w/c, but it was clean, plenty of hot water & much to my wife's delight the shampoo & soap amenities were the "Archive" brand which she loves & the snowy white towels appeared new. Also a Keurig coffeemaker with assorted pods in room as well. There is a separate marked area outside off the parking lot for walking your dog which was nice. Plenty of parking. 24 hr coffee, Decaf & Hot tea in the lobby was good, even at 10 pm. Breakfast was adequate & usual for this type of hotel. The price was very reasonable & the staff was friendly and professional. Restaurants, convenience stores & gas were all very close. There is a pool, but we did not use any of the facilities. By no means is this a luxury hotel or somewhere I would vacation, because of the location, but it exceeded our expectations being comfy & clean. We would definitely use this hotel again if we had to travel & bring a pet along. I have added it as my back up & would recommend this hotel especially if you have to bring your ( well behaved of course) furry friends!

We stayed overnight twice last month just before a cruise. Appreciated the opportunity to leave our vehicle at no charge, during both cruises. Trains woke me up a couple of times on the second stay but noise didn't last long...besides, "I Like Trains" as Fred Eaglesmith's song goes. Breakfast was substantial and the coffee excellent. Staff very helpful.

This hotel is right next to a city railroad track. This is a heavily used track and the noise was terrible. We were woke up at least every hour and unable to get a good night's rest. This is a clean hotel and the emmities are fine. But the noise preventing us from sleeping was just not something we were warned about. I don't think even earphones would have helped. This hotel is close to freeway and not far from airport but the noise was terrible.

Price is reasonable, but it is far removed from the cruise port and beach. Unless you have a rental car not close to much. Overall experience was good. No complaints but breakfast could have been a bit better when I compare to other BW hotels I've been to.

This was a upgraded hotel and it had a good breakfast with many extras. We had reservations so check in and check out was easy..My only complaint was that about 9pm someone knocked on door and asked who the room name was under..Almost like they lost track of which guest was where..I was relaxed and in my PJ's , so it was awkward.

15 minutes from the airport and that is the best I can say about this Best Western. The halls smell musty. The lobby is truck stop quality. And with tax we paid $195...the going rate this week. The room was clean so at least that is in their favor. Avoid if you can

This hotel is in a great location just off the I95 in the north part of Fort Lauderdale. The room was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was great. They have a special area to exercise your pet. The only down side was that the pool was quite cold even though we were told that it was heated.

Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable, easy to find and had lots of food choices nearby. Only stayed one night but would stay again for a short trip. I was hoping to get an early check in after my flight got in after 12 pm that day but there were no rooms cleaned and ready at that time. So I came back later and met a huge comfortable bed in a very decent sized room, with a small fridge and microwave.

Hotel was appealing from the outside and inside. Staff was courteous and professional, and handled a problem quickly and effectively. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was good, and the pool and deck provided my wife and me with hours of pleasure.

Bathroom is extremely small and in need of renovation. Insects were in the vanity/sink area. Room was very small compared to other Best Western Plus hotels. Breakfast was under par compared to Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express. For the room rate charged by this property, I feel they were definitely not giving you the value afforded to a guest of this property

stayed in room 215 damp odor/ found roaches in room.customer service was good overall. not very concerned about roaches. served breakfast from 6am till 10am. check in went smooth/check out went smooth.

We had booked 5 rooms for a pre-cruise stay with a large group. We mentioned that we would be in around 2p and were told our rooms would likely be ready. When we arrived, they weren't ready, and we were told it'd be a short wait. We waited. And waited. And waited - and each time we asked, we were told 10 more minutes. Check in is 3pm We didn't get our rooms until 4:30. The front desk manager didn't give a DAMN and basically threw his hands up and told us to wait. HAD they said "It'll be 2 hrs", we'd have gone to get food or something - Instead, 17 of us waiting in the restaurant area, for the perpetual 10 minutes. In our suite, the pull out bed was destroyed, and had no bedding. When I went to get a blanket the same man kept handing me sheets. Evidently they don't know what a blanket is either. Otherwise the rooms were great, train was no issue, breakfast was fine. Just this one guy really tainted it for everyone.

Comfortable enough room with usual piece you expected. Looked like it could be a nice comfortable place to stay until you tried to spread out. Then you would find that the room layout is too awkward to even find a place for your bags. One night is no trouble but multiple nights is not it's thing.

I was in town for business and stayed at this hotel, being a Diamond Rewards Member and was very disappointed. I will say that the rates were the lowest buy for a little more money, I will stay elsewhere next time. Breakfast was good and although I now noticed pictures on this site of bug problems, I did not encounter any. The housekeeping crew was great and friendly. The tall man at the front desk is worthless. Our room door had problems. I brought them to his attention and he said he would report but he did not. I saw the maintenance man on my floor, two days later and I mentioned it to him. He said that he "knew about it"... what??? So you know about but do not fix it? His response was very concerning as I am a paying customer and expect that the door is going to work. Not taking it seriously is playing customer's safety and security. There was a strange odor (smoke) in the hotel lobby and in my room. Not staying here again...

The first floor is for pets, but you would never know it. Hotel was clean and had no odors. The room was clean and good sized. We brought our bikes up for security but in hindsight we could have left them on the rack. We had a bit of a wait to check in and they couldn't make a reservation for us for the next night in Savannah. The supervisor was a bit gruff, but that wouldn't keep me from using this hotel again.

Overall it is a great hotel, bed is comfy, room is clean. The shower curtain rod was so lose on the wall the the curtain stayed only in the middle and would not go up either side. The breakfast is good but only one waffle maker so there is always a wait. I think the prices of decent hotels in this area are over priced. For what we paid it should have been at least a 4 star hotel.

Decent hotel although the location is not particularly appealing. The rooms were clean but I thought the beds were uncomfortable & the night stands not terribly well designed. There was also a cloying perfume odor in the halls and the electrical receptacle next to the sink did not work and went unrepaired during our 3 day stay. I have stayed in several hotels but I think that the nicest and most economical was best western. no dogs yapping, no kids running up and down the hall at midnight, and the tv actually worked properly. good food, good customer service, and great room. life is good!

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to save some innocent customers from what I experienced. I was stuck in Ft Lauderdale due to Winter Storm Jonas and needed a place to stay for my 3rd night as my other hotel was booked completely. Believe these reviews about the cockroaches they are not isolated incidents as the Management claims. I checked into my room which had several holes in the bathroom wall and was starting to unpack when I was startled by a cockroach underneath the air conditioning unit. I was offered the opportunity to look at another room which smelled terribly of must and smoke that hit me as soon as I opened the door. Having asthma, this was not an option for me. Upon being offered to look at a third room, the fire alarms went off! This hotel is supposed to be non smoking, however, I saw several people getting into the elevator with packs of cigarettes in their hands. And many people outside smoking cigarettes during the wait for the fire trucks to come. As we were exiting the building, a fellow customer had stated that for the past three nights she had been complaining to the staff that people were smoking in the hallways and near the stairs. It is true, the hallways smell terribly. And whatever they are using to cover up the smell is making it worse. When I tried to reason with the woman at the desk she stated I would have to contact expedia to get a refund. She did not seem terribly surprised by the complaints as per the reviews these seem to be common occurrences here. After the cockroaches, the holes in the wall, the disgusting health hazard of a place this is, the fire alarms going off... all they would agree to was a refund of $25. I was in my initial room for no more than 20 minutes when I discovered the cockroach and spent the rest of the time lugging around my suitcase from one disgusting room to the next and then outside waiting for the fire department to come and clear the hotel for safety. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. It's not worth getting a cheap room to go through all of this. The Holiday Inn Executive Suites is much nicer about a mile away, as is Courtyard Marriott Cypress Creek.

Clean friendly service! Breakfast is plentiful. What ever you do DONT BACK INTO A PARKING SPOT near the beach or underground. They boot your car and you have to pay 65.00 to get the boots off and then pay additional garage fees because you have to wait for them to be removed.

I would not recommend this hotel to any one that is staying in Ft. Lauderdale. While I was here, someone went into my room and took over $300 dollars and two credit cards and a debit card out of my purse. I left my purse in the room to go get something to eat. No one had any business in my room because this was around 8 pm. The bathroom is to small, when you get out of the shower you almost step in the commode. The first day our room was not cleaned and the last night I noticed a dead roach in the bathroom.

We stayed at the Best Western I 95 for 2 nights before our cruise and 1 night after the cruise. Very nice and clean Hotel. The Staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. A special thank you to Maria who is taking care of the hot breakfast. Very nice clean pool area, towels are provided there. Wish the water would have been a little bit warmer to take a dip. Wish they would offer a shuttle service from/to the airport and cruise terminal.I'm sure it would attract a lot of travellers to stay there. Had some difficulties with the local transport companies when it cam to arrangement regarding transport to the cruise terminal and airport but the front desk did what ever they were able to do. Thank you Peter, I know you did your best. Great rooms. 2 queen beds. We stayed there with 4 adults and had plenty of room. Would stay there any time again.

This is an excellent hotel. Right off the I 95. I can't tell you much about the area as it was dark when I arrived. The decor is really nice, rooms are clean and well furnished. The staff are very helpful and polite.

The reception agent was unfriendly and undiplomatic on arrival and there were insects on the floor of the bathroom creating a great stress on my wife and myself. We were always verifying where were the next group of insects we would find

Clean and comfortable. Nice clean pool. Very reasonable rate. Not too far from the airport. Staff was easy to work with. Accommodated a large group with 5 reservations. Halls were overly fragranced. No cruise port transportation. Used Elite transportation at $12.50 per person.

Excellent hotel, staff were very professional , Tiffany at the front desk was extremely hospitable,courteous ,always helpful. Peter, who checked me in has a great attitude ,left a very positive impression on my mind.Dora,the kitchen staff employee make one feels like they are at home. Great breakfast , wide variety of selection .Jessie,in the maintenance Dept .made sure our room was not lacking anything . Room was super clean, fresh linens, thanks to an excellent room service staff, friendly environment .Met the manager,Mr.Chris,great personality, very understanding and great listener.The entire hotel reflects the efficiency of its management and staff. I work at a Best Western and stayed at this hotel for a mini-vacation. Keeping that in mind, I know how things go and should go and I also am more understanding than most because I can relate. Overall, the hotel is very nice and well-maintained. When we checked in their was a larger group checking in (likely 8-10 rooms) and we understood we would have to wait. There was only one desk agent on so I assume their occupancy was low and we just happened to checkin at the same time as the group. That being said we waited 45 minutes to an hour to be checked in and the agent behind the desk probably could have been a bit faster. He also did not have a name tag on which I found to be odd. But he was nice as was the gentleman who checked us out in the morning. The rooms are very nice, and beds very comfortable. There was some hair in our shower from the previous guest and some clear flakes on the bed but both were minor and did not bother me. My only real "complaint" is that the hotel isn't really near much... its kind of off the beaten path and about 15 minutes away from downtown. Other than that, great place to stay at an affordable rate.

Great hotel, professional staff, and clean. The staff was very helpful. We were supposed to stay at Universal Palms next door. It was a horrible place. Dirty, loud, stains on the carpets, garbage every where, and it smelled. Thank goodness we came to Best Western right next door.

I booked a reservation with the option to pay at hotel through Expedia. As I was searching for more deals I noticed hotels.com had the same hotel with rental car for a better deal. I cancelled the 1st reservation and booked 2nd reservation with confirmation and authorization to pay at hotel with cash or credit card. I requested to check in around 1:00a.m. On 1/1/16 due to flight being delayed. I called hotel to make sure that these arrangements were ok and was told yes, but I would still have to pay for the 31st which was fine with me. When i arrived at the hotel a couple was checking in with the night clerk ahead of me. When it was my turn in line, I gave him my name and he stated we don't have a reservation for you. I pulled up my confirmation and said I just got a reminder yesterday about my reservation. He then said im sorry it's showing you cancelled your reservation. I stated no I booked through hotels.com. He then says well that happens with third party bookings. Then he states oh no this was a collect reservation and your card declined. I told him that was incorrect and my reservation clearly says pay at hotel. He said I'm sorry we have nomore rooms, if you had of made it before that couple I would have been able to help!!!! No what happened was he gave my room to the couple and tried to come up with different excuses!!!! Me and my fiancé had to drive around til the next day!!!! We finally found a hotel in South Beach that had a check in at 3:00p.m. But after we told clerk about our horrible ordeal, he got us a room ready at 1:00p.m. Thanks Beach Villa!!!!! Best Western in Ft.Lauderdale sucks!!!!! Horrible experience but after that I enjoyed South Beach!!!!

Stayed one week., This good be a great place to stay. We did not have maid service for 3 days. The mold in the room was terrible. I have asthma so this caused health issues. There were no other rooms to change to. We had to go front desk to get clean towels and linens. Management seems to have a problem at this property.

We checked reviews for this place and booked, no reviews were that bad but I since see there are a fair few new negative reviews. We stayed here one night before getting a Cruise in December and saw no issues with the cleanliness of the place nor the bugs people are talking about so perhaps its an isolated incident. We had a comfortable nights stay, the AC in the room is fairly loud so sleep was interrupted for some of our group.

Killed several Cockroaches in my room.. Management would spray it and clean out the room.. Same Cockroache that I've killed on the first night was still on the same spot on the floor on the 4th night. Management was not so friendly and reception is very harsh and rude.. Management keeps on defending the hotel that's actually not so clean and has stains disgusting on there restrooms downstairs ind the lobby While writing this review in the lobby of the hotel just now heard a couple complain at the front desk about having mouses in there room.. gosh hairs on my arms standing up straight..

Great hotel, just a pity we had some unexpected guests in the room cockroaches. We complained and they cleaned the room, pity the dead cockroach was still waiting on us. The people here were exceptionally friendly. We will just have to fumigate our luggage back home.

we stayed for 1 night after our cruise. The hotel is next to I95 and a railroad is right back of the hotel, you can hear train whistles especially in early morning commute hours. The area is probably not in the best part of the town, but we didn't feel unsafe and the hotel is in good and clean condition. The breakfast is adequate.

This Best Western may not be the biggest or the best but it can't be surpassed in the friendly, inviting staff that make your stay so positive you want to tell others. From Chris Ott the Director of Operations right down to Housekeeping and Food staff there can't be a more unified and warm group of people. The grounds are immaculate and the food choices rotated daily from meats, to eggs, breads and yogurts. Tiffany the Front Office Manager is efficient and can handle any situation. Our stay was 6 nights over Christmas and we wouldn't change a thing. Well done Chris and staff.

Staff here is very friendly and the hotel itself was renovated within the last year I believe. It looks very nice throughout. There are train tracks about 40 yards behind and you WILL hear it, especially 6am to 7am... Every few minutes. There are intersections right here as well so the trains have to blow their horn. Double bed rooms are in the back only, single bed rooms might have some buffer at the front from the sound. We did have trouble getting extra towels, took 2 days and me going to the desk and bringing them up myself. The is a security guard at night that walks out for nearly every car that pulls in, which was a nice safety feature.

The exterior and lobby area are better than we expected for a Best Western. The outdoor pool was also pretty nice. The rooms themselves are nice and functional, but nothing fancy. The walls and ceiling could be redone. The beds were surprisingly very comfortable. The service was exceptional. The front desk staff member, Gianni, was very accommodating and helpful. He called us several minutes after we checked into our room to make sure everything was okay. While the hotel itself is not necessarily in an interesting area, it is only a 15 minute drive to downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Front desk was excellent Peter,Tiffany, Carol and Gianni were very pleasant and professional in their dealing with me.Very polite and friendly.Met Chris, the manager, great personality. Foyer was always clean, Jesse, one of the workers was very helpful, rooms were clean,sheets, towels and linens were always clean in our room.Bathroom was maintained in a very clean manner, room service and maid staff kept our room clean daily.Pool was excellent, exercise room was kept in order.Breakfast was great with a good selection and well presented .Will definitely be back.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in, the Fort Lauderdale i95 location in perticular. The staff is amazing and the hotel has great amenities-gym,outdoor pool, laundry room, vending machines, etc. one person on the staff in particular, Gianni, is absolutely wonderful, so kind and accommodating!!!! Hopefully you will get him upon check in! Will be using this hotel every time I stay at a hotel in the F. Lauderdale area!!!!

When we asked the individual that checked us in where there might be a good place to eat he shared with us that the neighborhood was not safe for us to walk around at night especially. We had just arrived from Grand Cayman and flying out the next day so didn't have a car. So what do you do when you get in early afternoon when you can't walk anywhere. Taxi was our only option and that get's expensive.

All I can tell you if you enjoy sleeping with roaches and bedbugs then check in??????!! The front desk day manager Tiffany was extremely rude! And the director of the hotel was the worst!!! Christopher OTT !!was his name , Bad attitudes run wild here ! Along with the bed bugs and roaches! Which neither of them seemed too worried about ! After telling me to come down to the desk immediately for a 20 % percent discount on another stay there!! No WAY! I didn't sign up for BED BUGS and ROACHES!! He proceeded to tell me they are working the problem , then tells me I can see there's no pleasing you !!! Looks at Tiffany and say refund his money and put him on the don't let back in list of the hotel !!! HowRude !!! ????! And walks away rudely! Instead of apologizing about the bed bugs and roaches!!!?????? I even took a video it was so disgusting and disgraceful!!! ??He's a real piece of work along with his assistant Tiffany!! If you stay here nights as well rent a tent in a bug infested tenement!!!

I depended on reviews on this site before I booked my stay at this hotel. Now I will tell you what I wish I knew about this hotel before I booked. The positives... * Hotel is about a 15 minute drive to the beach and resort areas. It is technically in an area called Oakland Park. * The price you pay for a room is very reasonable. If you are a Best Western Rewards member and/or a AAA member, you can get an additional discount. Once you compare what you pay for this place versus other hotels closer to the beach, it helps justify the stay. * Parking is plentiful and easy to navigate. The hotel is also easy to find. * Breakfast is included in the price of the stay. * The beds were comfortable and I did get a good night sleep * There is on-site security so if you don't feel comfortable about the area, rest assured they do care and your safety is not taken lightly The negatives...and what all of you really want to know... * The condition of the hotel is not that great. The rooms have not been renovated in a very long time. The carpets look dirty. There is a musty slimy smell as soon as you walk into the hotel. That smell will remain with you in your room if you if have allergies, you might have a problem. * The TVs are HDTVs, but the signal is standard def...and the video and audio quality is horrible. * The shower in my room did not have much water pressure. I cannot tell you how irritating that can be when trying to get shampoo or beach sand out of my hair. * The hotel is frequented by locals who use it as a place to hook up. Please be aware of what happens in places like this. This is not really a tourist or traveler hotel. If you don't care for this scene, go someplace else. That being said, the stay was worth the money. I slept without any issues and got some work done. And that is why I say "you get what you pay for".

I've stayed the Best Western in Miami Oklahoma and was extremely happy with their service. So, it was a no brainer for me to stay in Best Western in Ft., Lauderdale. "What-do-you-know" The service was just as incredible as the Best Western in Miami Oklahoma. I spent the night, heading out on cruise to the Bahamas. Their rooms are nice and clean, comfortable bed, hot water. Free Wi-Fi, pool was clean. Oh, yeah! Great breakfast too! The staff were friendly, very helpful. As soon as plan my next cruise (like next year), I'm staying there again.

The hotel is very wll located close to I 95 with easy access to points North or South, situated in a relatively quiet area with the only drawback being the whistle of occasionnally passing trains. The service is courteous, the rooms are clean and breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of choice.

We stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is a wonderful hotel with a top notch staff who are fun, caring and extremely helpful. Breakfast was exceptional with a wonderful Manager who kept it all very tidy and clean.

Came here on vacation. Service was great, staff was helpful, they have free wi-fi, rooms were clean and recently remodeled, great value for what you get, in a decent location. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Bad location due to being close the train line, small bathroom and indifferent front desk, but it has a good internet, breakfast, parking and beds. Anyway, it has a good things, but the bad things have very important to me and due to this I do not recommend it.

I had a one night stay at this location. I stayed in one of their suites. It got the job done. It was clean, but didn't meet my expectations entirely. The bed was very comfortable and the sink area was clean as well. The actual bathroom though could have been better. I found a bug in the tub and the toilet kept running a few minutes after I used it every time. The TV reception was also very blurry. In the lobby, the TV quality was great. The TV in my room was a different story though and it was difficult to watch anything. This happened on every channel. The wi-fi worked well. The pool area also looked nice, but I did not have any time to go take a dip! The breakfast area had many seats available. I did not get a chance to try the breakfast though. There was a security guard late at night keeping watch over the parking lot so if you park your car overnight, you can feel a little bit safer with the added measure of security. The airport was not too far of a drive away at all and a 24 hour wal-mart is a few minutes drive away in case you need anything.

Although the room was large and comfortable, the A/C unit was noisy and either too hot or too cold. The breakfast selection was very basic and lacked imagination. If you don't want waffles you have very little alternative.

When checking in my room was not ready, so I went for a walk. While walking got caught in the rain and returned soaked. While finishing up with check-in, maintenance man showed up with a towel which was very nice. The breakfast attendant was very friendly and outstanding. Suite was good size and clean. Hotel is little far from heart of Fort Lauderdale, but easy access to anywhere you would want to go. Would recommend and would stay again.

My wife and I had a good experience staying in this hotel even though the first night the train kept waking us up. By the second night we didn't notice it. Breakfast was great and price was very good,

Checked in on 11/14/15. The room that was supposed to be non smoking was filled of cigarette fume from the carpet and the walls. After 20 minutes it was so bad we went to the front office and told them we cannot stay in that room because we were having a hard time breathing because of the fumes and if they have another room. The clerk said that he was aware of the smoke that someone had smoked in the room but unfortunately it was all filled no other room was available. After saying that we cannot stay 1 more minute that we have to leave all of the sudden there was a cancelation... really! We went with the desk clerk to see the other room. The first thing we saw was a few roaches heading towards the bath room. My wife had a panic attack and left and waited for me in the parking lot. The only thing i could think is her picturing us taking the critters back home with us. I told the clerk that we cannot stay hear to credit my card and i left. I just received my credit card bill showing the payment of $278.35 and then a credit for $179.28. They charged us $99.07 for not getting what we wanted... a smoke free room. I dont normally write these reviews but charging us almost $100 for leaving because they had not provide us with the type of room we had booked is upseting.

First room I checked into had a dirty bathroom. Front desk didn't care, and didn't have housekeeping visit the room while I was gone as I had requested. An e-mail to the GM, who wasn't even working, quickly fixed the problem with an upgrade/room change. Hotel is newly renovated, and nicely decorated. Second room was very clean and nice. Breakfast was simple, but good - no complaints for a free service! Front desk staff is just generally unfriendly, including the Front Office Manager.

I was pleasantly surprised that this is one of the best hotels in the area. The room was larger than I expected, very comfortable, and very clean. The price was reasonable and included breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

We decided to do a long weekend trip to Fort Lauderdale to get out of the cold and get some sun! We landed in a horrible rain storm and it got worse from there. You know that scene in Home Alone 2 when the family goes to Florida and shows up at the hotel in the middle of the night in the pouring rain? That was us. Check in was alright. It was late and I wanted to get to the room and relax. Upon entering our room, there was a funny smelling odor and I noticed the air conditioner was off. I turned the air conditioner on and it smelled bad. The room was clean for the most part except for the shower and the bathroom. I was greeted with a huge puddle of water when entering the bathroom. We laid down on the bed and all of a sudden heard a loud "honnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkkk". We opened the curtains and the train tracks were right there! I knew I would be up all night with the noise. The train came through every hour all night. The following morning we went downstairs for breakfast. The lady who works the breakfast area in the morning on the weekends is a saint! She was friendly, attentive, and kept the eating area clean and fully stocked. We returned to our room after breakfast and it stunk like mildew. It had to be from the air conditioner. I went downstairs to see if maybe they had another room in a quieter section of the hotel that didn't smell. They ended up moving our room to across the hallway. Upon entering the second room, I noticed it was a newer air conditioning unit and you could hardly hear the train. Plus, the room didn't smell. However, I did notice a bug on the last night of my stay. It flew from the air conditioning unit to the back of the TV. I never saw what kind of bug it was. It rained the entire trip and of course on the last day the sun was out (doesn't it seem to always work that way). I went downstairs to the front desk and explained that the sun was finally out, I had a late flight, and could I extend my check out to 1:00 PM so I could get some sun. I was told no that I could only use the room until 12 noon but then I had to be out. It made no sense to me because it was in the middle of the week and the parking lot was empty. At that point, I had enough. I sat by the pool for an hour, showered, and checked out. If I'm in the area again, I probably wouldn't stay here. I would pay the extra and be closer to the beach or the airport.

its a nce clea hotel and good price, but the noise level in this place is bad. you can hear other people down the hall and the trains are bad.the staff at check in and check out were not helpful. they were to busy doin other things. there was not much to chose from for the breakfast buffet.

This hidden gem was more than I expected. From the Foyer, to the friendly staff to the cleanliness and most importantly the wonderful amenities and full Breakfast!!! Very happy with my stay and will be returning!

This hotel is good for an overnight stay before taking a flight from Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Located just 15 min. away from the Airport. Confortable rooms, breakfast included in price. Outdoor pool available. Access to computers and internet beside hotel lobby. Service was ok. Staff available for simple requests. Restaurants with delivery service available in the area.

The room had not been cleaned at check-in (around 7:00 pm); the clerk checked his list and it had not been cleaned. However, the manager and another employee did do a complete cleaning for about 30 minutes while we waited. The door keys did not work and had to be replaced, for both myself and my wife (who had left to shop and then could not re-enter when she returned. The sofa bed was horrible, hard, and uncomfortable. One of the worst nights of sleep I had in a long time. In addition, there were no bed clothes for the sofa bed, so I called the front desk who said they would be sent right up. More than an hour later I went to the front desk myself to get the bed clothes. They did not have a blanket, only sheets. The bathroom door would not close or stay closed, which was awkward since my mother-in-law was in the same suite with us. Any of these problems occurring on their own would not have been a big deal; however, the totality gives a VERY POOR view of your hotel. I should note that the clerk, upon checkout, did say he would give a $20 discount should we stay at that same hotel again. That definitely will not happen, although I will keep an open mind and may try your hotel in a different location in the future.

Stayed there after a late night flight. Pulling in I was surprised to see night security but thought it was a nice touch. Front desk was fine, not especially welcoming but was quick. Walking into the room I noticed a weird smell that reminded me of a mix of chlorine and cigarettes. Figured I would only be there til early morn so no big deal. When I went to turn the ac on, since it was set at 82, there were bugs crawling on the unit. Since it south Florida and bugs are normal I still wasn't too alarmed. Then went to shower and saw more bugs on wall. The shower wasn't clean as there were some hairs on shower wall. Also hair in the sink. Being too tired to switch hotels, I brought my bag to the truck so bugs wouldn't get in it and went to sleep. Bed wasn't too bad but allergies kicked in when waking up from the room smell. Breakfast definitely not a highlight. Eggs and sausage were inedible. Plenty of yogurt and bananas so stuck with that. Definitely would not stay there again since many other cleaner hotels in the city and in same price range.

The first impression was great. Nice entry, nice breakfast area, nice room and workout space. The staff was very helpful with directions, food delivery options and business services. The only 2 problems were the Kureig machine was filthy and unusable even after trying to clean it for 45 minutes. The odor in the exercise room was strong.

Came back and rebooked after being very impressed with first stay. Thought I had found a hotel I could continue to book for repeated planned overnight visits to the area for the next several months.Don't think I'll be back after this stay. So sad, they have a lot going for them at this location and you can tell they have put the time and money in to making this hotel true gem dis spite it's location.

It was a great stay, The price in south Florida are higher than central or north. Peter at from desk did a great job. I have a coupon of $20.00 He quick what was about and credit it. If I have to go to South Florida again I will stay at Best Western. Is my first choice.

Before i review, for the love of all that is holy, request a room on the odd side of the hallway. For the price and the location, you will be pleasantly surprised by the professional friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness and modern interior of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is standard, and there is a (good) Waffle House immediately adjacent.

Booked this property last minute in route heading South and it was a great experience. It was an easy find right off of I-95 and the next day great access to areas in Ft Lauderdale.The hotel obviously has been recently renovated and the updated room was very, very clean.Did not have a chance to use the pool area but it looked enticing. All of the staff I had interactions with were very polite and professional. Enjoyed meeting and chatting with the Operations Manager, Christopher. You can tell his enthusiasm for his work carries over to his staff. Keep up the great work and we will see you next time in the area.

The hotel is newly renovated. We had high expectations based on reading positive reviews. However, we were a little let down. The first room had a strong odor of chemicals and the bathroom didn't seem too clean. They moved us, but the TV in the second room had terrible reception. They promised to fix it, on the second day of our stay, but never did. I complained and they provided a discount on my bill which was satisfactory considering most would expect a working television. Rooms are also on the small size. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was mediocre. The hotel provided overnight security in the parking lot which was nice considering that the neighborhood wasn't the best. I might or might not stay here again.

this facility is well ran, from the management, all the way to the employee staffers, they are always kind, helpful, and have great knowledge of their product/services, I WOULD recommend the facility to anyone I know, the accomedations are outstanding

excellent-I have thoroughly enjoyed myself here at Best Western. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. The staff is very accommodating and professional, the food is different but great and the rooms are relaxing. Just come and see for yourself.

Very friendly staff. Very clean property in and out. Great comfortable room. Great breakfast. We visit Fort Lauderdale often to visit family. We have tried many motels. This is one of the cleanest and best we have stayed at.

"Average" describes this hotel all around, other than the very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is conveniently located near the freeway. However, the choice of restaurants and other services in the neighborhood is not particularly notable. The neighborhood seems just a little questionable. There are decent restaurants within a mile or two, driving through heavy traffic. The hotel is adjacent to the train tracks and the train horns cause some noise. The room was decent and clean. The Wi-Fi is somewhat inconsistent. Good quality bed.

easy location next to 195, easy parking was near to sawgrass mall on sunrise as well as the swap shop, about ten minutes from fort lauderdale int airport, clean and very friendly staff i would stay here again... best western chain is one of the best hotels that i use all the time........and i have tried other lower price hotels...brent
