Privacy violation!!! The peep hole was turned around to view the entire room! I have three underage daughters! We had to tape a piece of cardboard over it for the night because the child at the front desk had no common sense, he thought a battery would fix it…!!! The breakfast is barely edible! Refrigerator in the room was loud ALL night! First towel I used had a disgusting stain on it and was conveniently folded to hide it. Too bad they can't get the place together because it's in a cute part of town.
The staff were friendly especially Crystal and James. Everything was in good working order. Great breakfast! Nice selection and tasty. Comfy bed! Nice location. The room had an odd smell which is why I gave it a 4 instead of 5 star rating. Very beautiful hotel.
I have stayed at this hotel many years for a work conference and always had an amazing time with excellent service. This year our toilet flooded the room out of nowhere and James attempted to blame me and my work colleague for causing it when there was no possible way we could have. We later learned that other guests were having draining issues and there were businesses and homes in the neighborhood with plumbing issues and work occurring. More importantly James was extremely abusive to my work colleague who was trying to arrange our new room while I was at an essential work event. Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable.
Super friendly and quaint hotel! Staff was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Room was clean, well cooled, breakfast was delicious and the hotel was next to everything in Old Town Clovis. Would definitely stay again!
The location was close to dining and shopping in Old Town Clovis. The room was clean and quite. It was over 100 degrees outside, so it was wonderful that they had the air-conditioning in our room running when we arrived 🥵 The room was clean and had all amenities we needed. The bed was comfy as well. I highly recommend a stay here!
The BW Cole is perfect for visiting Clovis with walking access to Old Town Clovis, shopping and restaurants. Pool area is sunny. Breakfast area is small and tends to be crowded. Plenty of parking.
A lovely building in old town Clovis near the best of restaurants and city living. Well maintained facility with clean, attractive, comfortable rooms. We will likely be back. Plus, we will recommend this place to friends and colleagues.
The Clovis Cole Best Western has become very run down - obviously any attention is paid to the exterior only. Frayed curtains - loose plumbing fixtures - mildew - broken soda machine - signs of neglect. Staff was also neglectful. We have stayed at this property previously but will not be returning.
The facility has really gone downhill since our last visit 2 years ago. We have been BW Rewards members for years - were not greeted as such when we arrived. Had problems with the first room - staff did not assist with moving our belongings. Second room had mildew in the shower and an odor of mildew throughout. Both faucets were very loose - almost to the point of falling off. Soft drink machine was out of order. One set of curtains was missing - the others were coming apart. So disappointed - will not return and may change hotel brands after all these years.
My husband and I decided we needed a much needed babymoon before our baby arrives we decided to stay in town for our babymoon and it was exactly what we needed. We were close to several restaurants which meant we were able to walk there.
The BW Cole has always been our choice when staying in Clovis. The location being a short walk from Old Town cannot be beat. Close to restaurants, bars and shopping. Rooms are clean and quiet. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Excellent WiFi.
Had to spend the night around the area, and after looking for hotels I found this one really close to where I needed, and with a really good price. Staff was nice, and everything in the room was perfect. If ever need to stay in around the area, this hotel will definitely be the place.
This is a well-run, very clean motel in the heart of Old Town Clovis. Most days the costs are within reason. But if you need a room during a holiday period, the cost seems to double. I ruins one's holiday.
A+ customer service! This quaint hotel is older but while it lacks in modern style it offers a safe, super clean, comfortable place to stay. Great location in Old Town within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Microwave, mini fridge, sitting area, good quality linens and comfortable mattress. The grounds are well kept with a clean pool and hot tub and in a safe location. Daily breakfast was a lovely surprise. Hot biscuits & gravy with sausage were shockingly excellent! They had hot eggs, a waffle maker, and an assortment of cereals and pastries. When I missed the breakfast by 45 min the front desk offered me anything I wanted from the cold offerings (which were already put away) and even turned on the juice machine for me! My favorite thing about this hotel is the friendly, helpful staff. Every request I made was honored; including late checkout. I've stayed at several hotels in this area and this one has consistently given the best service!
This is a very convenient location and staffed by friendly employees. The hotel needs updating and repair. Dated throughout including the flooring, bathrooms, linens, etc. The parking is excellent and the hotel is close to downtown for walking.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. This is my second time staying at this hotel. The room was clean and the beds are comfortable. Will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Clovis. Definitely recommend!
This hotel is located right in the middle of several restaurants and bars that are all great places. It has plenty I do safe parking, and the staff and room was great. I would definitely stay here again.
The nicest staff and cleanest accommodations. They offer a free breakfast which is always better than the normal hotel with a nice selection and always clean and orderly. This hotel is great for local walkability which is always a plus to be outside‼️
I paid alot for our room $155. It was not worth it considering the cleanliness. Reminded me of a motel 6. I am unhappy with how much I spent on a night and feeling uncomfortable all night. The room was filthy. Full of small mosqitos and large flies. Smell was off.Stainend carpets. Dingy discolored towels supposed to be white. Bathroom fixtures need a deep cleaning. Toilets, shower head and shower needs deep scrub. It's gross.
The hotel smelled of mold, no hot water, toilet barley flushed and I woke up with two ticks trying to burrow under my skin. Thank God I caught them before they did. The quality of this hotel has declined dramatically. It's like a cheap motel now.
Let me start by saying I was born and raised in this town and I know it by the back of my hand. We recently moved out of state and make multiple trips back as our family and business are still here. Located near old town Clovis this hotel is located near everything you could possibly want or need. Walk to the Farmers Market on Friday night and enjoy food, fun and entertainment! If you're there on any other day you'll still have access to some of the best food and shopping in Old Town Clovis. If you feel like driving down the street about 2 miles there's an inside mall, Target and movie theatre. This hotel has been around awhile but the rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast so if you're not interested in that you can shoot around the corner to Sandy's, you can't go wrong. For lunch or dinner try House of JuJu for a great burger or Lunas for Italian food. Coltons Social House is near the mall and really good as well.
On a golfing trip to Clovis, I was delighted with my stay, rooms, staff and all were great. An added joy was the was a car show in Clovis and the event was two blocks away. Several of the Car Show owners stayed at the hotel also, it was great to visit with them
The hotle and its location are excellent. One problem is that the breakfast time only accomodates the workforce and not the tourists. The breakfast time ends very ealry the entire week. We have been traveling for over 40 years, and have stayed in lots of hotels that had a larlge number of workforce also staying there. But the accomodated both the workforce and the tourists.
Great overall experience great service and clean good breakfast very helpful staff very courteous we hope to return and stay because we can walk to a number of restaurants and do some shopping and walk back to our room
Overall good, breakfast left a bit to be desired. No Juice, No Water and Weak coffee. Upon checking in really had to use the restroom, but no guest restroom. had to really speed/ rush through check-in to get to room.
This is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. The rooms are large, quiet and well equipted. The location is perfect. It is within walking distance of many resturants and local shops in downtown Clovis. It is just far enough away to not be bothered by noice, but close enough that you can walk to local businesses. The staff is helpful if there are needs. The breakfast is very nice.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. All choices were served at the correct temperature. Rooms clean with the right amount of towels. Fantastic location. Walking distance to a variety of retail and restaurants.
This is a wonderful hotel. It is in an amazing location, close to many restaurants and bars. Josh and James at the front desk are extremely helpful and very sweet. I stay here for business a few nights per week.
Great place to stay in the Clovis area. Walking distance to the Friday farmers market. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. Will definitely stay here again.
The hotel as well as the room were clean, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the pool was relaxing. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, your choice of bread, cereals, etc. I'd stay here again if in town for family.
I was greeted at the door like royalty. Ever care was taken to make my check-in easy and fast. The gentleman at the desk was kind and made me feel like I was the only customer in the hotel. He took care of some complicated details without wavering for a moment.
Best Western Clovis is located within 5 minutes walk from several great restaurants, coffee shops and bars in the old downtown area. There is a great community walking/biking path nearby that extends for miles. The hot breakfast included eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage and bacon. There was also some fruit and other options. The rooms are a bit dated but clean, Bed, TV, Microwave and Fridge were good. The hotel is closer than others in the area and 15-20% cheaper per night. I gave it a 5 because the location and rate made up for dated room compared to other hotels.
Took over an hour to allow my wife to check in. Josh at the front desk was condescending and unprofessional. He claimed he was new and used that as an excuse to be unhelpful. He was even rude to the BW customer service rep on the phone that called to walk him through how to find our reservation. While wearing a t shirt and backward baseball hat, not the professional treating you would expect in a 3 star hotel. Management needs to make sure their employees are fully trained in the system and customer service before leaving them alone.
Not sure what all the complaints were about the rooms needing to be updated. The rooms are fine…this isn't a 5 star resort after all. We liked there was a fridge and microwave in the room. Rooms were surprisingly clean except for the couch. We just put a blanket over it. The staff was very apologetic and offered to clean it. Spa didn't work. HORRIBLE coffee, in the room and in the breakfast area, it's so weak it looks like tea! Good restaurants near by.
We enjoyed our room and it just added to the wonderful experience of being in Clovis for my son's wedding. The room was very clean and comfortable and we definitely plan to stay again if ever need to stay overnight The front staff was very friendly and breakfast in the morning was most enjoyable, many selections both hot and cold. And an added bonus, only 5 minutes from my son's house!
Check in was fast and the gentleman was very efficient and kind. The room was wonderful! The facilities were very clean. Breakfast was great. I enjoyed my stay very much!!!! Great location! Everything was perfect!!!
Very friendly staff, super clean, great value and the hotel itself was very nice. Good location downtown close to restaurants and bars. Many different rate plans, military, government and AARP rates made it very affordable for a one night stay.
It's a typical hotel room, comfortable enough. The windows were partially opened when we arrived even though it was chilly outside. After we closed them and turned the heat on, we realized a slight musty smell. Elevator was still out of service, read that it wasn't working way back in August. Did NOT like the full length mirror in the bathroom facing the toilet, who wants to see themselves sitting there?? Staff was friendly and attentive. Snack machine was also inoperable. Might stay here again, but will def look for other options as well.
Hotel looked nice from the outside, we booked here because rooms looked nice and there were restaurants and bars within walking distance. The room was quite a shock, this hotel hasn't been updated in20+ years. Yikes! 20 years ago they spent the minimum on furnishings and carpet, I doubt it was nice back then. The walls in our room had multiple repairs (and not good ones). The elevator didn't work. We cut our stay short here and checked out after the first night. Much nicer rooms in Oakhurst for lower prices.
Beautiful room and superior staff. The staff was helpful and courteous. They performed well above the normal. I had no issues with my room. The mattress was comfortable and the room layout was very functional. Thank you.
We came in for my daughters wedding and stayed here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had all of the amenities we needed. Breakfast was well maintained and plentiful. Fabulous location close to everything.
This place was decent I stayed here for a few days, less than a week ago and the power shut off one morning while I was trying to get ready for a meeting. I overheard staff saying the back up generator was not kicking in and the power was shut off for a few hours. Because of this I had to miss my meeting. I complained about it and all they said was “sorry” nothing that I can do. Not a free extra night? Not $ back ? I wasted a lot of money staying here. Later that day I got back the tv wasn't working. I complained about that too all they said was “ well trying messing with it because there's nothing that I can do”. Really ? I demanded another room with a working tv. I got the room and it was okay tv was working but majority of the tv shows were in Spanish.
The location is great for walking to nearby restaurants and coffee and centrally located for getting to Clovis High and/or other locations. The price was reasonable. Despite posted signage requiring masks be worn indoors, NO staff wore won, and there was no enforcement for guests to wear one. Check in staff was busy in a personal conversation when we arrived and seemed annoyed that we required her assistance for check in. Was unfriendly and just going thru the motions. We would not stay at this location again.
We stayed here 2 weeks ago. Other than the elevator being out of order, it was great stay. Only a 3 story hotel so not many steps. Clean rooms, pool hours are 6 am to 10 pm which is perfect before or after a day of travel. The town is very quaint and restaurants within walking distance. It was a good distance from Yosemite where we traveled but it was a beautiful drive. Free parking, good continental breakfast. James was very helpful and a good resource for local attractions. There is also a visitors center and they have many resources as well. They had a farmer's market and music on Friday. I would highly recommend it for your stay.
Wonderful access to hotel, safe parking, and walkable to Old Town Clovis. The swimming pool was immaculate and easily accessible. The ability to walk throughout the charming old town streets of Clovis was why we chose this hotel, and it did not disappoint.
Broken Elevator, no help with luggage to upper floors, buckets in hallway all weekend to catch water leaking from ceiling. Some prior warning about elevator should have been given in the confirmation that I received the day before,
This hotel was amazing from the first call I made to when we arrived. It was clean , the staff was super helpful as well as housekeeping . I would recommend this hotel to anybody please experience it for you self . Location was perfect for our trip super cute location
The pool is lovely (actually fenced with plants) but seems to need cleaning. The spa worked one day, not the next. The internet and tv were awful. The rooms need updating. The bed was comfortable and extra sheet covering blankets is great for a clean feeling. Noise was expectable in area with lots of nightlife.
Great hotel and close to dinning and bar entertainment. Great service and clean rooms. The bed was comfortable. The front desk and breakfast staff were very nice and helpful. I would recommend this location to anyone traveling to this area. easy walking distance to many things. Breakfast was hot and had a nice variety.
From the time you enter the property the staff is welcoming - especially James. He always remembers us and treats us as if we were special. The rooms are good size, clean and the maid staff helpful. The staff is aware of local events in the small, friendly town with many vintage shops and good places to eat. We have been going there twice a year for over 15 years.
Nice, no BS place to stay. We stayed two nights very peaceful and close by enough to walk around and check out local restaurants and town. Stayed in a much more expensive hotel a couple days later in a different part of the state and realized we liked this place better.
We had too short a stay, but would have liked to explore the antique stores and restaurants right there as the hotel has a terrific location. It is right downtown but set back off the street so very quiet.
Stayed here many times. Nice location, love walking to restaurants and bars. Farmers market near on Saturday. Close to rodeo. Easy to park. Plan to go back again in a month. Pretty building. Before Covid nice breakfast.
This BW is located in the center of Old Town Clovis and provides excellent access to all the local restaurants, bars and antique shops all within and easy walk. Excellent free WiFi service and ample free parking.
yes it really is downtown, nice folks, can walk to downtown a half block, lots of shopping and places to eat, only drawback was horrible channel selection on the cable, no excuses in this day and age, owners take note, we will look elsewhere because of that
We the Rios's Love the best Western clovis Cole depending which way you are coming from for an overall remembering experiences to be cherished From Carol Griggs and Her superb exquisite staff Empathy!
This hotel is located in the heart of down town Clovis. That alone makes this hotel our favorite in the area. Rooms are a bit small, but clean. Coffee in the lobby is the best I've had at a hotel. Employees are very friendly
Right location, right price, safe, clean, well organize and the staff is superb. Its right in the heart of Old Clovis so you can go to all the wonderful shops and great restaurants on foot from the Hotel. And the staff is AWESOME.
When we arrive the girl at the front desk help us so much and I'm thankful, that she help us a lot and everything was ok, our night was unforgettable spending some time away from Lincoln city OR, we will come back soon
I am a Diamond member which means I spend thousands and thousands of dollars a year doing business with this establishment. If you are a local who wishes to reserve a room, you will be required to leave A $200 deposit cash to reserve a room. It's a great way to keep “locals” away. Since I'm a “local” , I get what you're trying to do. My credit card or excellent history is enough. The optics are bad and consideration should be made for customers who aren't trouble makers.
Everything was perfect, the hotel was clean, safe, and walking distance to shops and restaurants in Old Town Clovis, will be sure to stay here again if in the area. Hotel staff was also very friendly and helpful.
When checking in the front staff will demand a cash deposit with no receipt. You will not be given advance notice. Also, be prepared to have your card charged multiple times. We got a hotel while grandparents watched our kids for our anniversary. This Best Western ruined our experience.
There are so many things that made our stay amazing! Cleanliness, hospitality, warmth of staff...The place is super cute and right on the edge of a beautiful walking running/bike path, lined with trees and benches and water stations. Magnolia trees and roses out front of the remodeled BW. A little gym with weights and a laundry set; a fabulous pool perfect for doing laps :) and it sits across the street from the CUTEST old town boutiques and restaurants, ice cream shops, coffee houses. Finally, the staff is AMAZING. We were greeted with the most sincere warmth in a long time. Michelle went over and above at all levels! James was the big draw with his fabulous personality and guidance as we called at the initial inquiry. We are going back in June! We live in LA so this was really a fabulous getaway.
Melissa was terrific! She was extremely friendly and very helpful. She went out of her way to help me get my free night voucher accepted. I apparently wasn't aware that in order to use my voucher, I had to book a reservation through Best Western's reservation department instead of doing it online. Melissa understood the problem and was able to get the voucher accepted. She was great! The guest room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. They had a great breakfast with hot eggs, sausage and potatoes. We love Best Western. Its our go to hotel!
Nice clean room and comfortable bed. Small refrigerator, microwave, full size mirror, couch, and desk. James is a very happy, friendly and helpful man. Good potato, bisquets and gravy breakfast. Computer and printer available.
I came to Clovis with my daughter for a sporting event. This hotel was perfect - it was clean, the service was friendly and helpful, they served a great breakfast (many options and opened at 5AM on the weekend!) and it was located right in the middle of the cute Clovis downtown. I would highly recommend it for a solid, safe, no frills stay.
Stayed here for 2 nights check in and out was easy and quick the room was clean and comfortable plenty of hot water and towels the pillows were a little stiff the only problem was we left our room at 12pm and didn't return until 10PM no service was done bed unmade and towels on the floor that was disappointing
The BW Cole is next to downtown old Clovis as is easy walking distance from restaurants, antique shops, and local bars/brewery. The Hotel is set back from the street and is very quiet. Breakfast is the stand BW breakfast with an assortment of hot and cold items. Ample parking.
I was on the last leg of my journey to home and decided to stay in Clovis. A little further from off FWY 99 but I like the down town area. I had stayed here 3 years ago and was pleased with the value to room and amenities.
If you are expecting a clean place without any extras then you should stay here. The property is centrally located in Old Town Clovis. The room is average size without any extra frills but clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The free hot & cold breakfast was surprisingly good in a small area by the front door. This property is a solid 3-star hotel.
When going to Old Town Clovis this is the place to stay, walking distance to all you need. If it is a street fair or Antique stores or shopping or dining you can walk. Hotel is great as is the staff. James is the best.
I can always count on having a great stay with the BEST people making your stay happy. Extra a good Breakfast to boot. Room was cheerful and clean. Double locks to make you feel safe. Looking forward to my next trip. Jan from Redwood City
Best Western Clovis is a wonderful hotel. We slept comfortably, the staff was very friendly, and the free breakfast was way great. I was expecting toast, cereal & coffee, but there were bagels, waffles, biscuits, potatoes, gravy, sausage, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and more, plus coffee, milk and juices.
Best Western Clovis is in Old Town and within walking distance of all the historically sensitive businesses, museums and restaurants of days gone by. After our long drive from Temecula it was refreshing to be able to park our car, check in to a beautiful room and stretch our legs walking around to different places as we visited with family. The dining experice was exceptional as well,,,,
I really like this hotel because of the proximity to the event venue (across the street) however, there were a number of issues during our stay. The first was our bathroom sink was not draining properly. I reported it to the front desk and they sent maintenance right away. Maintenance could not fix it and recommended that we go to the front desk and ask for Drano (ummm what?). The second issue ws the hot tub. Or cold tub rather. The hot tub was down the entire weekend and there was no notification and we were told by front desk staff that it had been working and that maintenance would be sent out. I don't believe that it had been working because the hot tub would not have been as cold as it was. Issue was not resolved along with the sink. The other issues were luke warm showers and noise level. The police were outside out neighbors door Sunday morning and I believe it was a domestic violence call which was quite disturbing. I plan on returning to this same event next but I will most likely stay elsewhere.
Stayed one night before heading into Yosemite. The room was clean and comfortable. Easy walking distance to restaurants. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast to start the day. Easy ride to the southern entrance of Yosemite.
This hotel is accommodating from the start. The front staff is extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel is right in the heart of Clovis California. Arrived on a Friday and they have a wonderful street fair from May until September. Our bike event was 3 miles down the bike path which is right next to the hotel. It has a nice pool and small fitness center. I came with two other friends and all three of us liked our rooms. We will come back.
We've never gone wrong with any Best Western. Stayed here after a wedding. Very nice place to stay - with all the amentities! Close to restaurants and old downtown. I would certainly stay here again :-)
Rm 219. First day: The morning receptionist greeted us as we approached the counter and checked us in with a smile and provided us with info such as pool, elevator and breakfast time. Elevator: very slooooooow. Ice machine: nice soft ice. Pool: looked clean, but didn't use it as we're busy with family all day. Breakfast: N/A, no time as we had plans. Returning at the end of the day (around 10pm-12midnight): Night staff/receptionist didn't greet us as we walked in. There were several different people working the entire 4 days we stayed but no one greeted us. They simply glanced at us and continue to look at their phones. Room: Clean, towels were replaced daily. No bed bugs in this room. Housekeeper: The 4 days that we stayed there, I saw two ladies. One of them heavier set, brown hair, very quiet and made no eye contact as we walked pass. Second lady, blonde hair, older woman, full face makeup and nails done (pink). *Warning* Ladies, do not leave your makeup and makeup brushes laying around because the older housekeeper with a full face makeup will touch your stuff. My mistake for leaving my makeup on the counter because we were running late to meet up with family (7am and we were out the door). When my husband and I returned at 2:30 am, I noticed that my Fenty Highlighter was slightly opened and didn't close. (I'm very OCD when it comes to how I place my brushes and leave my makeup.) As I opened the top I noticed that the little part that holds the makeup close is broken!!! On top of that, I brought a small sample perfume with me on the trip because obviously it has to be under 1oz and I also noticed that someone opened the bottom part and left a nail polish scratch on the cover. The following morning, we checked out of our hotel and I made it known that someone touched my stuff. The receptionist guy said "sorry about that" and nothing more. ***PLEASE! educate and re-train your staff. Regardless if your guest leaves their personal items all over the room, do not go through them and break them!*** This will be my first and last time with Best Western Clovis.
Very nice hotel in the heart of downtown Clovis, walk to a variety of restaurants, Mexican, Italian ,American, and enjoy music and antique stores. Also downtown clovis has the farmer's market on the weekend.
THe hotel is located just off of the old town area so it is easy to get to shops and restauants. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast area was well stocked and clean. It is a very quiet hotel so we did not hear any traffic noise. The staff was very courteous and friendly as well.
Always clean. Great location right in the heart of old town Clovis. Very safe area. Spacious rooms with plenty of outlets for chargers. Easy check In and out. Plenty of towels and bathroom accessories.
Top ranking in overall hotel stay, all needs were met no complaints. Any time I will be in Fresno this is were we will stay. Location in the middle of old town Fresno, we walked to a number of eateries and shops.
Besides the property being very nice it was the great staff who made our stay more enjoyable. They were very accommodating to our needs as we try not to be needy. And the gentleman working Saturday and Sunday assured me that I wasn't being a bother. As I start off by saying "I hate to bother you" He assured me that I wasn't a bother and that is what they are there for. And the lady that checked us in on Friday was kind enough to call our room to make sure I found the hairdryer that I couldn't originally find. I can't remember the last time we encountered such a caring staff. Come to think of it maybe I never have. The staff made our stay great rather than good. Keep up the good work!
Our room was stuffy when we first walked in, we figured it just needed to be aired out. We opened a window and left for a little while. We came back and the room was a little better until we went into the bathroom, the carpet right before the bathroom was wet and it smelled so bad in there like mildew. How the front desk couldn't smell it, I couldn't tell you. Our room literally backed up to their laundry or break room. The room was loud, very very loud. Wouldn't recommend this property at all.
I always stay at the Clovis Cole when traveling to the Fresno area. In the past, I called the hotel directly. This last trip, they had a box on their site to click and make reservations. I thought, okay, I can do this. This was not Best Western booking, but a third party agent. I was dismayed when I received my invoice at check-out and learned that the booking agent, Guest Reservations, overcharged for the room (8 days) by $359.75. I called the Clovis and they told me I had to talk to Guest Reservations. Guest Reservations put me on hold until I finally gave up. Previously, I enjoyed staying at the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the walking distance to restaurants and shops in Old Town Clovis. As Best Western Clovis is not interested in making this right (they directly contract Guest Reservations), I will find a new hotel for my visits to the Fresno area.
Late arrival on a Friday night for an early volleyball tournament next morning. At first couldn't tell where the hotel was because front of building faces into a parking lot. The hotel is located in Downtorn Clovis, which has many great shops and little night spots. There was bar close to the hotel, but it didn't seem obnoxiously loud. Staff very pleasant, check-in/out speedy, and breakfast was great. Has something for every kind of diet. Unfortunately, I had a room across elevator, but luckily it wasn't kept awake by it. The heater/AC until was a bit too noisy as it kicked on and off and the carpet had a few crumbs, Didn't have time to visit fitness room and pool area. Not too far off highway as well.
Maybe I don't get it. How this place could have received a 4 or 5 star rating is beyond my comprehension. #1 - The workout area is broken. The equipment (with the exception of one treadmill) does not work. Management claims "they are renovating it (sometime)." #2 - The elevator was broken for 2 days. #3 - The room was not cleaned on Christmas Day with management claiming that our "do not disturb" sign was on the door (which was not true.). #4 - The two remote controls did not work and needed to be replaced. #5 - There was chocolate cake (I hope that is what it was) on the bottom of one of the TVs. And the desk chair was filthy. #6 - The bananas in the breakfast area were brown and bruised for 4 days -- not eaten and not replaced. #7 - the instructions on the HVAC system were rubbed off, and there was no way to know how to turn it off -- causing the system to rumble on and off 4 times the first night. Shall I continue? The only reason that I did not give this property a "terrible" rating is because of the attempts of the staff (Allie and James) to remedy the issues. They were apologetic and tried to be as accommodating as possible. But they are given few tools to work with, limited training, and have, I am sure, heard these complaints before. Yes, the location is great. But the property needs a ton of work to be a "Best" Western.
Very comfortable and quite place to stay in downtown Clovis. Many good restaurants and shops with-in walking distance. Breakfast room was very pleasant with many choices. Would definitely stay there again when in the area.
A great place to stay. Ideally located in the heart of Old Town Clovis near great restaurants and shops. Comfortable beds and good breakfast area. Staff is friendly especially James and Alexis. Highly recommended.
I am 22 weeks pregnant and during my stay my blood sugar dropped extremely fast. My friend ran down stairs to grab me some juice and it happened to be after breakfast closed. She explained what was happening to the gentleman working the front desk. He sprang into action, got my friend the juice I desperately needed, and he checked on me the following morning when he saw me in the lobby. Pregnant or not, I've never received better service.
We visit family in Fresno several times a year and recently found this hotel in Clovis. Clovis is a small town next to Fresno and the hotel is located within walking distance of ‘old town Clovis' and its many small shops and excellant restaurants. The hotel staff members are friendly, the accommodations large and clean. the breakfast very good and the location is perfect
This was my second stay at this BW location and I found it very pleasant both times. Service was great, room was great, amenities were great. I will stay here again on future visits to Clovis. I have recommended this location as well as other BW locations to both family and friends and will continue to do so.
NASTIEST PLACE THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I personally travel quite alot, been to many different types of hotel in different parts of the world, from 3 stars to 5, ive seen ALL types of hotels. BUT THIS ONE IN PARTICULAR WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. We came here cause we had to travel here all the way from the south bay to compete in a huge cross country meet, Clovis Invitational. ***Room 208*** we had been real tired from the four hour drive, and had not noticed all the foul properties that it fully had. So we slept at 10 ready for a big day the next day. when i wake up my friends on the other bed start waking me up @ 4 in the morning to tell me how distusting their bed was. there WAS DRIED BLOOD STAINS, BED BUGS EVERYWHERE, AND THERE WAS SQUISHED BEDBUG STAIN ON THE BED AS WELL. I ALMOST THREW UP!!! things were not looking so good at this point. and the receptionist did very little to help because the manager wasn't there. The management didnt even help us out. gave us a very small amount of discount for the room to compensate. AND THATS ALL?!!? what about the cost of my trip to the doctor?? and my unplesant itch of bed bugs, and all the clothing that i had to throw out??? bags i threw out as well??? and the "ptsd" that followed??? WHOS GONNA PAY FOR ALL THAT? HUH!?!? unless you guys treat us CORRECTLY AND PROPERLY!!! this is going on to every review page i can possibly find to put you guys down!! ****WARNING****WHAT IM ABOUT TO SHOW WILL MAKE YOU THINK DIFFERENTLY ABOUT HOTELS FOREVER!!!! NOT COOL BEST WESTERN NOT COOL!! I GOT BIT EVERY WHERE!!!
Nice place, friendly staff, nice breakfast in the morning. We were with a large group of athletes staying before a race. The staff worked hard to make sure everyone was fed and taken care of. The room was clean and had nice amenities. I especially appreciated the mini fridge.
Traveled with a team cross country of 16 teens and 4 adul, booked 6 rooms. Place looked clean, nice location. BUT... Not the case. AC/ heater units are extremely loud and when you try and turn the heat up it smells like something is burning. Awful smell. You can hear everything from other rooms. But the the worst part of our stay were the bed bugs and managements lack of concern. I got a knock on my door at 5am from one of the other adults letting me know that we had an issue. 4 boys shared a room, and they woke up completely covered in bites, from the bed bugs. I had to go around to all the other rooms to check on everyone else in our group. Took the info to management and seems like they didn't believe us and had to see for themselves. But were very rude and dismissive even after they saw for themselves. After enduring calls from upset parents. I called back today to speak to a manager again. Got the same response. And I was told its not a big deal and that it was a isolated incident. NOT TRUE.. Not when you have kids bouncing from room to room bonding. And you take a huge risk of bringing them to your car or WORSE, HOME.
We've stayed here many times over the years and have always felt comfortable. The rooms are being refurbished. Location is right downtown and close to restaurants and shopping. Their prices are very competitive.
Reliable Best Western features in great location for visiting both Yosemite (Southern entrabce) and Kings Canyon/Sequoia. In fact ideal for travelling between the two. Good pool, decent breakfast and plenty of eating choices in walking distance.Great price.
This hotel is about what you'd expect for a Best Western - mediocrity at a reasonable price. However, I bwas able to confirm that the front desk attendant stole my credit card information. This made the rest of my visit to Clovis very difficult without any form of payment. I highly recommend you find an alternate place to stay.
We were part way through a three week road trip around California from the UK and decided on Clovis just as a base to explore Kings Canyon then move on to Yosemite. But old town Clovis was really nice, pity we didn't have longer to explore it fully. Hotel room was large, bed comfortable, air con defo needed as it was 104 degrees and fridge in room. Ice machine on ground floor. Small but adequate pool, we used it to cool down after days out exploring. Breakfast had plenty of choice, someone clearing up and filling up supplies. We took it outside and ate by the pool. Staff we found really friendly and helpful, suggesting restaurants which are walking distance.
We were traveling between Yosemite and Kings Canyon entrance to the National Park. We wanted a midway point located in a nice part of town. Thought about Fresno, but then chose Clovis CA We checked in around 8PM and there was a trainee learning the ropes. There was a very knowledgeable lady there helping her and it went very smoothly. We asked for recommendations for dinner, and the lady was extremely helpful. She said she was on duty til 10PM and then would be there early in the morning. We had two rooms, and they were both nice. Comfortable beds, very quiet location. Slept good. The rooms had both a ref and microwave. Bathrooms were clean and functioned well. This Best Western, the Clovis Cole was nice and would stay there again. Don't know the lady's name at front desk, but she was very good for giving us information. Breakfast in the morning started early , like 5AM. It was yummy. waffles, eggs, sausage and many other items. We liked the place.
We came to town to visit family. The hotel was around three miles from them which was great for us. The hotel sits back from the main street and is in old town Clovis. There is a lot of walking you can do in the area checking out some of the stores and restaurants. We came in on a Friday which we found out means Farmers Market in old town and the area is very busy on Friday night in old town Clovis!!! We had no problem parking. The hotel was very clean and updated! The price was average. Our room was very nice! I don't understand why they are not a Best Western “Plus”!!! We have seen many that should not be...this one should!!! WiFi was great and breakfast was also very good. We will stay here again.
We were there for a convention. The rooms were nice - having a microwave and small fridge. The coffee maker worked well. Good breakfast in the lobby. No complaints - cooling was good and not too loud.
We stayed one night and the rooms, pool and staff were very good. Unfortunate the breakfast was not that good. The location was perfect with walking distance to several really good restaurants. Free parking.
My wife and I were in Clovis for a high school graduation, and my sister-in-law had booked us a room at the Best Western. Excellent choice! The hotel is in the very center of downtown Clovis; restaurants, bars, shopping, all just a few steps from the lobby (which is set back from the street, thus eliminating any potential noise issues). Our King room was reasonably spacious, very clean, and quite comfortable. The under-window air conditioning unit worked like a champ, keeping us cool all night (although it wasn't terribly hot outside when we visited). Decent water pressure in the shower, and plenty of hot water when we used it. The desk staff were all very friendly and helpful, offering excellent suggestions for breakfast when we chose to go out rather than eating at the hotel. They even had a band-aid for me when I very unexpectedly needed one. We were very pleased with our two-night stay, and will definitely book here again for our next visit to Clovis.
We have one of their suites Clean comfortable and very friendly. Will stay here again. Arrived Friday evening in time to take in the downtown farmers market wow great entertainment 2 stages one playing blues and jazz the other wow at least 10 guys full horn section Played some Earth Wind and Fire, Chicago just to name a few.
Super friendly staff. Clean, well appointed room. Great breakfast with lots of choices (eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs. bagels, biscuits, sweet rolls, fruit, etc) Located right at the beginning of Old Town Clovis.
Nice location in Old Town Clovis with plenty of shopping. The property is well maintained and the room was very clean. We appreciated the use of the luggage dolly which added to the ease of our stay. The breakfast is above average. Would definitely recommend to others.
Best Western Clovis provided us with a safe place to rest and a close place to enjoy the rodeo, parade and shops. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was good with several menu item selections. Waffles were the best.
It was a cute hotel. It looks like an old vintage cottage. Rooms are good and quite at night. I liked that it was located in downtown Clovis. Many restaurants and bars near by. The breakfast was good but the kitchen was small.
I was looking forward to my weekend in Clovis California. A nice hotel across the street from a Veteran's actively. I did not enjoy my trip as I should of because I could not get onto wifi during the two days that I stayed in Clovis. Front desk person was very nice, but could not help me. The TV channels choices were terrible so I was stuck with sitting in a McDonalds for hours over two days in order to conduct some business and enjoy Netflix. I could have gone to another hotel/motel at nearly half the price and received workable wifi. I will do this next time in Clovis. When I checked out the receptionist asked if I had an Apple device which I have. I said yes and she said that it is difficult to use an iPhone or iPad for the wifi doesn't always work with these devices. I think it showed a power bar at the lowest level once and then it was gone. As far as I can see, Apple is not all that rare and maybe it should be supported or at least easier to log onto. On the positive, the room was okay and the location of the hotel was great. Breakfast was good, but oh that non-existent wifi and the worst TV channels possible will make me a no-show next time to Clovis. This would have had a four star rating from me except for the wifi and TV selections.
Great place to stay if you are visiting Old Town Clovis, CA and visiting any of their many watering holes! Walking distance to everything Old Town. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and for being so close to Old Town Clovis, very quiet. We were there New Year's Eve, and the hotel was quiet, amazing! Pool facility was open, clean and great to the use the hot tub, but the pool didn't seem heated, brrrr!
Overall very good experience. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Coffee not so much but we went to a coffee shop across the street. Right in town. Lots of great restraints within walking distance.. Bathroom could us a little TLC Rooms included refrigerator, microwave that was handy.
The second straight year we have stayed here for Christmas staff is great the rooms very spacious and comfortable, plenty of hot water in the morning. Breakfast was actually quite good waffles and eggs with biscuits and gravy if wanted and along with other stuff.
We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western(Cole) in Clovis, Ca. great place to visit a historical America farm town and the small museum in old downtown, plus great antique and cosignment store. After all the walking its lunch and dinner venues give a wide vary and larger shopping malls and theaters are only a few blocks south of old town. Stay and enjoy !!
The Clovis Cole is a nice place to stay in old town Clovis. Within walking distance of many places to eat, drink, and shop. Hotel is clean and comfortable and all of the staff were very pleasant. If ever traveling to this area again I will be staying here. Old town is full of shops to browse around in while killing time.
I strive to write helpful reviews so, if you find it helpful please click the helpful button below. I like this hotel a lot. I took off one star for the following reasons: -Our window was broken on the outside layer of the double pane. It did not affect us too much. -The pillows were chunky and uncomfortable. Other than that I like the following things about this hotel: -It was clean -It is centrally located for Clovis -Microwave and refrigerator in the room -Good customer service -Quick check -in -Easy parking -Quiet Hope this helps!
The good: helpful polite front desk workers and convenient walkable location in Old Town Clovis. The bad: watery coffee, unimpressive breakfast (fresh cut fruit and better coffee would help) Stuffy room with noisy air conditioner Empty bottle left under bed in room Fitness room out of commission
The location was great to downtown, and it's location back behind the main street made for a charming and quiet stay. However, they over-chlorinated their spa--you couldn't be in it more than 30 seconds before your eyes burned--and the showers are dangerously slippery. Ask for a bath mat or just use a towel in the bottom of the tub. Otherwise, the breakfast was great (though they soon ran out of room for people. Good thing there's a table and two chairs in the room!)
This is an excellent hotel and had a great price. It is located in Old Town Clovis and is very attractive. The entire staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I was very pleased with my stay and will recommend this hotel to anyone I know who is going to visit.
Stayed at the Best Western to attend my cousin's wedding. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. The hotel itself looks a little outdated but we were comfortable here. The complimentary breakfast was a nice start for the day.
This is a very nice hotel, it within walking distance to OLD TOWN, there are a lot of quaint little shops, and great nite life. I was a little disappointed as I had requested a handy caped room, upon checking in they were sold out of handicap rooms. The rooms are clean and well kept, the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a full breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a variety of pastries. All in all great stay, and I definitely will be staying here again.
The Best Western in Clovis, Ca. is always a pleasure to stay at. It has a friendly staff, very clean, very quiet area and their rooms are always great. There are a great restaurants at a walking distance and the area is very safe. They have a good selection for breakfast and everything is laid out for easy accessibility. They also offer free internet and the morning paper. I highly recommend this Best Western to everyon.
Right in the heart of "old town" Clovis, this is a nice entry in the BW chain. Set back off the street, with lots of trees, it is quiet and peaceful. Nice little pool, good free breakfast in the morning. Their staff obviously well trained, and good management shows. The rooms are plain and what you expect at the price point of just over $100. The bed was "just ok" and I would give it a B+. Only other thing slightly negative: I am not a fan of the types of heat that make noise when they kick in. But that probably doesn't matter to most folks.
Hotel was decent, but no 5 star. The beds were very soft, comfortable for me. The coffee maker was missing a piece to hold the coffee bag, so had to bring it to the front desk for a new one. When i spilled water on the bathroom floor and wiped it up the towel was brown from dirt, and there was mold on the wall by the shower. Breakfast was good, had a variety options. When i called the front desk in the morning to find out what time breakfast was available (since we couldn't make coffee), he let out a huge sigh like he was irritated with me asking.
Close to our wedding venue, allowed my husband to do an early check in and decorate the room for our wedding night, quiet, friendly and welcoming staff, free parking, in-room wi-fi was excellent. Clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again!
I usually do not book at Best Western but I was pleasantly surprised at the room and accommodations. Breakfast was out at 5 am, which helps when you have field work, the internet was fast, and there was a dining table in the room. I usually have to eat at a desk and move my laptop to another area. It's nice to have a separate area to eat. Also had refrigerator (with freezer) and a microwave. This location is in the downtown area with plenty of great restaurants nearby. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the staff was very nice.
If you want to visit old town clovis, this is the only place to stay. The location can't be beat and if you are lucky enough to get the master suite it makes it even better. Bev and James are there to help you and the breakfast is great. We wouldn't stay anyplace else.
We came to clovis to visit my wife's friend and she recommended this hotel, it's right in the middle of old town clovis which is a place I would call "a real American town" the old town itself is really nice its a mix of quaint little antique shops with a good mix of local bars and restaurants, the hotel itself is nice and quiet with clean rooms. It has with everything you need : fridge, microwave, air con, nice beds and really friendly staff, it's such a good base for the sierra mountains and yosemite park as well, the town is really the icing on the cake though , no Mcdonald s or Starbucks but family run coffee houses and eating places and after visiting San Francisco and Las Vegas this just what we needed, a proper American town.
I recommend the B W,Clovis to travelers needing a clean, quiet, comfortable place to spend time away from home. The area has the Clovis charm with antiques, great little novelty shops, sandwich eating places and restaurants for quick meals or dining out time. Great staff with courteous professionalism.
the hotel shares parking with the city. You must arrive early to get a parking space and do not leave it if you want to park near the hotel. Other wise you have to park on city streets and in my case several blocks from the property.
My friend and I, go up to Clovis, for the antique street fair, and stay here at the Best Western.. We just walk straight out, cross the street go down 1 block, and we are in old town... The staff was very friendly and accommodating... Will stay here each time I go up to Clovis
The hotel is a BW and good....BUT. Do NOT stay here unless you are prepared to park 3 to 4 blocks away from the hotel. There is not sufficient parking AND the City of Clovis made the parking area PUBLIC. This totally sucks!
There was a real safety issue here along with very poor handling of my bringing the issue to the front desk staff and General Manager's (Carol Griggs) attention. It rained and a leak directly over the bed occurred. It was not corrected nor was I given another room. Instead I spent the night with a bucket in the middle of the bed catching rain water and splashing on the bed. I wear a CPAC for sleep apnea but did not use it for fear of electrocution. Thus I curled up next to the headboard and stayed awake most of the night. I was on two days R&R after working 21 days straight on wild fire support working for at least 12 hours each day. Front desk and management were totally unsympathetic and rude to this situation. I asked what compensation would they offer and the manager said none. I will not let this safety issue go. This is totally unacceptable. The manager did promise to have a fan put in the room to dry things out, but she even failed to do that. I don't think I'd be the only guest who would be unhappy with not getting was they had to pay for. I'm sure the manager herself would complain if she had to pay good money to try to sleep with a dripping, splashing bucket in the middle of her bed.
Easy check in and along with suggestion of a restaurant for a dinner that was bang on great stay. Clean rooms and bathroom. Breakfast area a little small but standard hotel breakfast fare does the job. Checkout was abreeze.
Had a reservation here tonight, checked in late with our family, tried 4 rooms before we finally left at midnight because ALL the beds had multiple body hair in them. Absolutely disgusting! The toilet was dirty in our first room too! So inconvenient to have to move my family to a hotel down the street at midnight.
Clean comfortable bed. Room and TV adequate. Older multi level hotel made into Best Western Brand. Had all the room amenities. Desk personnel pleasant. Breakfast area and seating not adequate for number rooms. Food the usual motel fare. Price OK for middle of town. Plenty of parking. Air conditioner noisy but that seems to be a common problem in motels. Hallway needed vacuuming. The whole place beginning to show wear.
Wonderful location in Old Town Clovis - restaurants, bars and shopping well within walking distance. Great staff, really make you feel at home. This is a nice, comfortable, place to stay at a reasonable price.
This hotel is right in the center of Old Town Clovis. Several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was very good (breakfast room coffee wasn't very good, but the packs in the room were fine). Housekeeping did a great job every day with my room. I highly recommend this place.
The Cleanliness was poor. The Amenities were not as advertised/listed or provided. There was an Extremely small breakfast area that was actually too small to comfortably accommodate more that 6 people at a time, much less the several guests that were in this area. The Staff was good. It was mostly just the facility that was not very well maintained. I found some else's toe/finger nails on floor in my room.. Surer Gross.
After a harrowing experience at Chukchansi Gold Resort we were looking for a nice quiet hotel where we felt safe The rooms are clean and air conditioner is ice cold on a 104 degree day. Our room is on the front and there is a festival downtown but it is not too noisy to sleep. It is within walking distance of many good restaurants and shops as well as a local history museum of the town. We like this better than staying in Fresno and it is only 7.5 miles from the airport. Staff is welcoming. Breakfast is served from 5 am on. I would stay here again. We ate at the 500 Club and also had Italian one block up at Forestiere's Place. Both were excellent.
Very Noisy, couldn't sleep in even if wanted to. Don't expect anything in the room beside a really tiny bar of soap. No napkins, not even plastic utensils, although the coffee and breakfast was great.
I very much enjoyed my stay here, but the bed is a little firm for my comfort. Still was very enjoyable and the staff were awesome. Very accommodating and pleasant. Would I stay here again? Definitely
Housekeeping did not vacuum floor and empty waste basket. One one waste basket for the whole room. When the front desk was told about 6 pm they made a note but did not send anyone up to rectify the situation. If you approve not changing sheets they don't make up the bed at all.
The hotel was easy to find, excellent shape, terrific staff and near eateries and other stuff to do. Plenty of parking enjoyed my hot eggs, sausage and coffee. Rooms very clean, the bed comfortable, frog and microwave. They had a pool to enjoy as well that was very clean.
I was attending a conference about three miles away and it was very easy to get back and forth. The hotel was located in a great area but I really did not have much downtime from my conference to enjoy it.
We stayed at the Clovis Cole and it was wonderful. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. We loved the way the warmth of the welcome by the staff. It was a pleasure to stay where the rooms were immaculate and very nicely appointed. Thank you Clovis Cole.
The service was great and the staff was friendly. The room was nice and comfortable. We got in late and the only problem we had was there is not a lot of food choices at 9 P.M. That has nothing to do with the hotel.
Very, very good experience. The best breakfast buffet in the USA. The service was great and the location was good for our needs. I would certainly stay there again and I would recommend it for anyone visiting the Clovis, Fresno area.
My husband and I go out of our way just to stay at the BW Clovis-Cole. The staff, the rooms, the breakfast, the pool, proximity to Old Town Clovis with their events, restaurants and shopping - everything at this BW is top notch. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.
Clovis in Summer is HOT - Recommend letting the staff know approx what time you are showing up so they can turn on the air conditioner. When we arrived at 6ish the room was 90+ it took hours for room to cool for comfort. The room a bit outdated not enough open outlets. My personal opinion Staff Great - Room OK -- C+ nothing special but will fit your needs. I will stay again if in the area.
The hotel is off the street so it is quiet. Old town is right across the street. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is always someone at the front desk to answer question and help the guests.
We visit family in nearby Fresno every few years and have stayed here for the last three times.Stayed one week and find the staff very helpful with any needs.Hotel sits back from main drag in quiet setting and parking is close by ; never any problem.Hope to stay there again.
Our family had a very nice over night stay in Clovis. Liked the cute location, the friendly staff and the charm of Old Clovis. It was also close to the wedding we attended and they were all very helpful in getting us to the wedding on time.
The location was perfectly situated two blocks off the historic downtown district. We walked to dinner at a classic Italian restaurant and then walked main street. Breakfast was provided which was good. Not a lot of dining space. Very clean room and comfortable bed.
We go to Clovis the first weekend in June for the High School Track and Field State finals. We attend the event every year. This was our third time staying at your hotel and this time you let us down.
The Clovis Cole sits back from the main road (Clovis Rd) which is very nice as it reduces the city noise. The hotel is quaint and charming. The hotel is small compared to other Best Western hotels which are both an advantage and disadvantage. The rooms are nice and at least in the king size bedroom, they have a table with two chairs in addition to the desk with chair. You will need this table and chairs as the breakfast room is very, very small with 4 tables, 2 of which are in the lobby, and since the people staying during our 2 night stay used the tables for reading the newspaper and playing with their electronic devices, there is no place to sit and eat. Hence the need to take the food back to your room and eat. The bed was comfortable and the staff was great. Parking can get a little crowded. It seems like the people working at the various businesses in front of the hotel use the hotel parking lot and take many of the prime parking spots. The hotel does have a business center which consists of a desk and computer/printer in the small lobby so don't expect any privacy. Overall, a very nice stay.
This hotel is located in the heart of Clovis, CA and is easy walking distance to many restaurants and activities in downtown Clovis. Hotel is quiet and comfortable. Staff is very professional and attentive. Excellent value for the casual traveler.
When keys would not work I was "blamed" for putting key card with other credit cards...when he nfact only kept them in the envelope given to me with keys. When there is a breakdown solution is not to blame the guest!
The motel is located in a nice setting, It is close to interesting places to eat. But it is not well equipped for handicapped individuals. There is plenty of available parking spots, but most parking places are far from the motel entrance.
It had what you need, but there was nothing special about this hotel. The room was rundown and needs to be updated. The wifi was horrible. It would be nice to see some security in the parking lot with the number of dive bars surrounding the hotel. The breakfast was extremely good, and the employees were friendly
There was a powerful odor of chlorine hanging in the room. It was eye burning strong, but you could tell they go all out at this place to insure it's spotless. It's right mid Old Town, and there are good restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We stayed at the Clovis Cole Best Western in February and had a miserable experience between the noise from outside and the noise from inside. This hotel has paper-thin walls and single pane windows. You can hear things outside as if the window was open. In addition, the air conditioning/heating fan was extremely loud. It sounded like an airplane engine. Throughout the night when it switched off, after finally getting used the roar, we would be startled awake at the difference. Then, within a few seconds we'd get used to the fan being off, at which point the noise from outside would become obnoxious. My daughter had an important event that started early the next morning and she was crying in frustration late at night when she could not sleep. We complained to the front desk at the time and to management in a letter with more details but no one took the time to respond. Do not stay here unless you are an exceptionally deep sleeper who can sleep through major changes in sound and a variety of noises going on all night. The hotel should replace the windows with double-pane windows and replace the ridiculously loud air conditioning fan with something more consistent and reasonable sounding. (Assuming the other rooms had the same fan.) Until these upgrades happen, it would only be rightful to (a) post a warning to anyone who doesn't sleep like the dead and (b) reimburse any guests that complained of a terrible night's sleep. If it's the only hotel available, bring earplugs and headphones and hope that no cars drive by between the nuclear-powered fan going off and on.
always up to date on what's new in town for that week and the great little hideaways to check out while in town. very helpful and friendly. nice place to relax, close enough to walk around town if you do not want to drive and still tucked away for the comfort
It was good. The gentlemen at the desk in the evening when we checked in and when we came back from our dinner was sweet and gracious. The hotel was under construction so there weren't any vending machines. But the breakfast was amazing. We would come back.
This hotel is right in the middle of downtown, close to restaurants and the visitor center. Set back off the main street the location is quiet at night. Well maintained and clean this is a location I drive out of my way to get to since it is such a nice place to stay when I travel up and down the state. I have stayed here several times and plan to in the future. Fresno is closer to my route but the staff and beautiful hotel in Clovis is worth the drive.
This place is what it is: an inexpensive place in a very good location: in the heart of Old Town Clovis. Walking distance to restaurants, 15 minutes from the airport, near a freeway. Quality-wise, a 3 start place but it's priced right.
Was looking forward to using the spa but was to green and the person I talked to did not seem to care. We where on the 3 floor and had to go to the first floor to get ice do to then taking out all machines on 2nd&3rd floor. Elevator was very very slow
Well first of all, one morning I was up for breakfast, and next thing I know, Two of the employees started arguing at each other and cursing, the big blonde came from the back cussing at the little hispanic woman. The bed i room I was in had bugs and it was nasty..
This room and hotel ended up being a really bad choice for me and my family. The room were dirty and the roll away was terrible and ripped. The phones were broken. The room was dirty as well. It was completely understaffed to care of any needs.
Hotel seemed a little old. Room wasn't very clean. Bed/sheets were fine but the rest seemed a little dirty. Wiped down sink & toilet with disinfectant, also sprayed shower with Lysol spray. Tolerable. Rooms were not too noisy though and had a fairly good nights rest. Pillows not too comfy but again, tolerable. Continental breakfast the next morning was good with quite a few choices. Friendly, helpful staff. Just wish the room & bathroom was a little cleaner
Spent three nights for a business trip. The location is great if you have business in Clovis. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and adequate, good TV, excellent WiFi. Only issue, which may not the hotel's doing, gardener outside window using a leaf blower at 5:30 a.m. one morning, noisy street cleaning truck outside same time another morning. Only issue regarding condition of the property was the elevator floor needed cleaning.
This is a wonderful hotel. Clean rooms & outstanding staff. Staff made you feel like family. Whole hotel smelled & looked clean. Get laundry room. Convenient location. Walking distance to local restaurants, bars, and shopping.
Hotel needs remodeling. Mattresses sagging, all soda machines out of order. The front desk had only diet Pepsi left. Food could taste better. Glaring flood lights shine on window all night. Towels like sandpaper. Price of room was affordable through Costco. I would stay somewhere else until they remodel which desk clerk indicated next year (2017).
My wife and I stayed at this hotel on our way to a family reunion in Arroyo Grande, CA. We flew into Fresno and then drove from there. We have stayed at this hotel pre- and post family reunions for the past three years, because it is conveniently located near the airport and to a sister's address who travels with us to the reunion. The hotel was newer when we first stayed there three years ago, and this time it is beginning to show some wear on the inside. However, the rooms are clean, the staff is polite and helpful, and we like the location close to the downtown, where we attend a Friday night street fair. We have returned to this hotel three years in a row because of the service we have received at a reasonable price. We will stay there again in the future.
The free "Hot Breakfast" was a food born illness in the making. The sausage, potatoes, and scrambled eggs were not held at safe temperatures. The bed and the room were great. No issues at all. I gave the place "terrible" ratings for service and cleanliness due to the poor food safety issues.
The location was great for walking to restaurants and bars downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful The hotel was clean and renovated. I will certainly stay here next time I'm in the area. However room was not charger friendly. You had to hunt out an outlet for your phone and computer. I wound up using the outlet at the lavatory. The breakfast was in a small area, and there were not enough tables or room. I'm not sure that this is something they can easily remedy though. Coffee was available in the lobby 24/7.Wifi in my room (106) was great.
Stayed at this hotel last week and found a very clean and comfortable place. The grounds are beautiful and location is great. Walking distance to shops, antique malls and restaurants...highly recommend this hotel.
I have stayed here several times over the past 15 years. It has always been clean, quiet and well managed. The staff is professional and well groomed. I have not used the free breakfast as there are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel.
The hotel was in a great location, not far from an event I was attending in the area with my 11 year old son. We had a great stay in this comfortable and quiet Best Western, The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again if I am ever in the area.
It was in a very convenient place - near hospital - a very quite place to rest - restaurants and thing wher my husband can go to while I rest -- he was able to go get food to the room - the view was nice to look out the window .
If you are looking for a hotel/motel with a great location to Old Town Clovis, then this is the place for you. Located in the heart of Clovis, you have access to all local businesses, restaurants and activities. With free Wifi, free parking and breakfast included, this is a good value.
Nice hotel in downtown Clovis. Very convenient. Room was very nice, quiet, comfortable and reasonable. Breakfast menu was varied and nicely done. Desk people were very helpful. Will stay there again! Have stayed in Clovis before & this is now our stay of choice.
The staff went out of there way to make our stay during our American Legion Auxiliary Dept. of CA Workshop great. When we called the front desk for more coffee supplies, they brought it up to our room right away.
Alexis greeted us with a smile and charm. The lobby had character and a beautiful personality. The proximity to local restaurants was amazing and made for a great evening. The pool was perfect for the kids to play in and the atmosphere was relaxing. The breakfast was good and reminded me of home. While some things in the room felt more dated than characteristic of the ambiance of the whole hotel, it was a great experience and true character of staff and property shined bright!
All the other hotels we tried were sold out or to expensive. We were very happy with our choice of coming to BW Cole. It is right in walking distance to downtown. The whole area around the hotel was very nice. The hotel has a breakfast of eggs and potatoes and the usual continental breakfast. The breakfast area is small but it wasn't crowded. Breakfast was good enough to start your day. We enjoyed our stay there and would stay again.
Friendly staff. Made us feel at home. Clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent variety and great tasting complimentary breakfast. Free coffee all day along with fruit.Shopping within walking distance or near by. Lots of choices for eating and night life!
The Clovis Cole was clean, nicely located for our purposes and the staff was very friendly. We only stayed 1 night, there is a complimentary breakfast in the morning, however, the lobby is small. However, the price and location suited our needs for 1 nights stay.
Nice rooms, although lamps could use an upgrade from incandescent. Breakfast offerings were generally good, but I don't consider gravy a protein offering; it alternated with sausage as the hot item next to eggs and home fried potatoes.
My husband and I stayed here overnight because he was scheduled for an early morning outpatient surgery. The room was comfortable, though older, and clean. The location, which was in old town Clovis was excellent, close to restaurants and night spots. We were able to park the car and walk to get something to eat. The breakfast was nice and the staff was welcoming and polite. The in room internet was good and we had no trouble accessing it. The furniture was heavy and a bit overwhelming for the room, but served the purpose. The best part was the location which was a few minutes from the hospital, but still afforded us easy access to the local amenities.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, the entire hotel and grounds were clean and inviting. Will gladly stay here again for future trips to the area....and loved to be able to walk into old town Clovis.
The Clovis Cole is very well located to visit Old Town Clovis, the Clovis Rodeo Grounds, and destinations using Highway 168. From the hotel you can walk to numerous restaurants, bakeries, bars, and antique shops. The hotel itself is very dark and is decorated as one would expect their grandmother's home to be decorated. Though that is not my style, the room was very clean and seemed to have everything one needed to be comfortable during their stay including a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. We had a total of four rooms, and while one of them had air conditioning issues, it was ultimately resolved quickly and efficiently. The breakfast was more than adequate, with eggs, potatoes, waffle maker, cereals, yogurt, english muffins, etc. There were even grab and go breakfast bags for those who did not have time to eat before their departure...nice touch! All of the staff members were very friendly and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
The hotel was clean, provided friendly service, and was in an ideal location in Old Town Clovis. We were here three nights visiting the national parks and this ended up being a great location for our home base. The breakfast was nice as well.
The room was nothing fancy, but it was clean. The breakfast was ok. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The best thing going for this hotel was that it was right in the middle of downtown Clovis, which is really cute. There are a lot of shops and places to eat within walking distance.
We stayed 4 nights, the phone didn't work, Wi-Fi was slow, clean other wise, front desk girls always had a smile and friendly helpful. the rooms needed to be updated the bed wasn't that bad we always had clean bathroom and towels, always replenished coffee and shampoo and soap.
Attended a Convention in Fresno. Very good hotel. Requested a handicapped room and the room we received was very comfortable. Good location with good restaurants in area. Only problem we had was with the air conditioner which we tried to set to our comfort and had a hard time doing so..
This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location---would definitely stay there again. Quite elegant and in the midst of Old Town Clovis, which is charming & definitely worth exploring! The staff was very professional & friendly.
Seems like an old resort with lots of regulars. Friendly staff helping a range of guests (families with young children, seniors, everyone in between). Good location off of the main street and fronted by large shady parking lot. Lots restaurants nearby and a Trader Joe's within a couple of miles. Good accessibility. Super comfy bed and no noise (surprising). Refrigerator in room big enough to have small freezer compartment to hold ice cream. Good work surfaces. Halls a bit dingy and humid and soda machine out of order, but the great full breakfast the next morning emphasized their hospitality in spite of a few dated features. Breakfast: real scrambled eggs (no fake eggs), sausage or bacon, cubed potatoes, salsa, assortment of waffles, hot and cold cereals. super fresh coffee, apples, oranges, bananas, soy milk, two kinds yoghurt, lots toppings including dried fruit, and more (stopped looking) crammed into a small breakfast room. People good naturedly shared tables or ate out in the sun. James kept replenishing food when running low even as he ran the front desk. Great service on top of super breakfast.
this hotel is always very warm and inviting, very easy to talk with staff and very helpful . they are always very helpful and friendly no matter how small or big the need are. like that they start breakfast early ( 6am ) some others start late
The location is very good, close to a lot of restaurants and coffee shops. The people, specially James, were very, very good. They went the extra mile. Wonderful place. We visit the city market witch is only a few blocks away from the hotel.
Hotel staff rude, rooms not clean, one towel in bathroom and no toilet paper. Many guests complaining at front desk. Manager commented "5 star people don't want to pay for 5 stars then come here and complain". Staff would vacuum during check out time while guests are trying to leave with vacuum cord stretched across lobby making it very difficult to walk with luggage. This happened two mornings in a row.
Upon driving up to a beautiful landscaped hotel, smiling faces greeting us upon check-in and an incredibly clean room I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. The windows open up to a cool breeze with a tree gently rustling outside the window.
I visited Fresno by myself. I stayed for 3 nights and overall it was good. The room was clean, breakfast was good enough to and the location was nice. Close to shopping and across the street from Old Town and good restraints. One complaint was my window would not close all the way and would not lock. A bit of a concern since i was on the mail floor. But j wedged something in there to temporarily lock it. I would probably stay again.
This was a good experience. Very helpful employees, good breakfast, rooms were good and air conditioning was strong. Nice pool. Sauna was out of order and 3rd floor soda machine was out of order. Other than those 2 things, the ambiance was professional, exterior well manicured. I would stay there again. Close to eaterys and old downtown clovis.
First off this is a very nice hotel. Clean, well appointed, and very nice in a great location. The reason I wanted to make a second review of this hotel is because of the front desk man, James. We unfortunately had to travel here for a family funeral. The temperature outside was going to be 97 degrees on the day of arrival. I called an spoke with James to let him know we needed an early check in time to freshen up from the road, and get our clothes changed to go to the funeral. He told us to just call him from the road about an hour early, and he would take care of it. We actually got there about 45 minutes early than what we had stated and lo and behold, the room was ready. I don't know if you have had that experience where you go into the front desk and it is run by a bunch of kids that only know how to say "check in is at 3:00pm, no earlier," but I have. And to find someone at the front desk that was as helpful, and welcoming as James was, was really refreshing. This and so much more are the reasons that every time we have to come to this area, Clovis Cole will be our choice. And just a note here; James is not only good at his job, but he must really like it because he has worked there for many years. We wish him many more.
We were in town to visit our daughter and her family. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. They saw to all our needs. The dining are is small, but very quaint. The breakfast was good. The hotel is in Old Town Clovis, a very neat place to visit. We will be staying here again. It is nice to know there is a place we can feel safe in and trust when we visit our family.
Great location, quiet property, excellent staff. The breakfast was good and had lots of options. The staff were very helpful whenever I had a question. I was only there for one night but it seemed like a great hotel.
This is a really nice property centrally located walking distance from all the shops and restaurants in Old Town Clovis. This was or first stay in old town visiting some family and it was a really fun, quaint area. Also I was really impressed by the selection of breakfast items offered as opposed to other places we have stayed that offer free breakfast. Every employee that we encountered during our stay was very friendly.
Great service from the staff. Very friendly and professional all around. Can't beat the location (short walking distance) for going to the rodeo and in the center of Old Town Clovis for all the restaurants and stores. Very close to Fresno. The king room was big enough for two beds. Everything was very clean. Bed was comfortable with a selection of hard and soft pillows. Breakfast room was small, but the 2% and whole milk was refrigerated. Soy milk was available. There was a waffle maker, hot scrambled eggs, sausage and diced potatoes, fruit, pastries, bagels, cereal, etc.
Very nice staff, hotel in a great area near downtown Clovis. Enjoyed the stay. The staff was very helpful. We had a newborn with us and they helped us by letting us check in a couple hours early and gave us a room away from guests.
Located in the quiet interior of a block of an historic, old west area. Lovely pool, good internet. Can walk to many antique stores, cafes, etc. Only a few blocks to a freeway, but you'd never know it. I would stay here again just for the charming neighborhood. Easy access and parking.
Very conveniently located in the center of town, a cute, small hotel close by to lots of shops, restaurants and parks. The breakfast was well stocked and the coffee was great. This is our second stay and will continue to return each time we visit family in Clovis.
Fireplace was a nice touch, the room was spacious, the balcony was a nice touch and the internet was at 15Mbps which was better than Comfort Suites Inn. The microwave and fridge was very handy, the rooms were clean and the layout of the room with a separate bedroom was nice. The hotel is in the center of plenty of grilles and shops. The only bad thing I have to mention about this hotel (it may be isolated to the location of my room) was noise. People walking in the hall was loud in the room and people moving around overhead was loud as well. I had to keep the main room fan on to drown out the noise. Honestly I wouldn't book a room here for a family trip but for business it was fine.
This hotel is very clean and also non smoking. The front desk was very helpful and welcoming. They have a free breakfast every morning fro 5-9. They offer several choices including hot entres eggs, potatoes, sausage, and waffles. I stayed in a business suite which was very roomy, with a separate bedroom and living room. The only concern I had were the towels and wash rags, they were very rough may want to bring your own towels. This hotel is located in old town Clovis with a variety of shoes and eateries within walking distane
This is a well maintained, recently renovated three story hotel 1 block from central old town Clovis. The town sponsors many events throughout the year that highlight the many antique shops, and individual antique vendors. See the Internet for EVENTS in CLOVIS. The rooms are well furnished and the best deal are the master suites. These rooms come with a separate bedroom, a fireplace and a large balcony. The staff went out of their way to provide any help we asked for. This hotel will take pets. If this bothers you, you might want to ask for a room away from the room with the animal.
If you are going to Old Town Clovis this is the only place to stay.Yoy are right there, within walking distance to Forresters for lunch and Luna's for dinner, and all the shops in between.Location,Location,Location thats what they say and James working the desk just adds to the stay at Clovis Cole Best Western.Price,Service.Location.
Our trip was for a conference that was close by. We usually stay with Best Western due to clean, affordable, and comfortable beds. On this trip we were pleased to find the most comfortable bed ever. The motel housekeepers were very kind, polite, and helpful.
This hotel looked off the beaten path, and mansion-like, near quaint downtown shops. But a major thoroughfare was behind it, directly under my window, which I had to keep open all night. The air unit was noisy and there was a strong gaseous smell. The next morning, the clerk told me they had just gotten new carpet on the 3rd floor and that was probably the chemical odor that I was concerned about. They said by April 2016 all floors would be finished and the smell should be gone. I changed to the BW Plus by the airport upon my return from the ranch, and was able to catch up on my sleep. Tiny lobby and a couple of snack machines and free breakfast. Friendly staff.
We had a nice stay at this hotel, it was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We appreciated the new carpet and the daily "clean" remote. The location was central to old town and there were several good restaurants within walking distance.
A Very nice and clean hotel. The staff were very nice and professional. The hotel rooms were very clean, complete with microwave and refrigerator. I particularly like the free wi-fi, it was very fast and efficient.
Good - Overall good hotel right in the middle of Old Town Clovis with antique stores and restaurants around the corner. Friendly staff. Bad - furniture in rooms should have been modernized 10 years ago (although tvs are new) Ugly - if you sleep in the front rooms there are a bar right across the parking lot going until 2 AM in the morning while cowboys on motorcycles come and go.
This little town has very friendly people. The staff at the hotel and restaurants were very pleasant and anxious to please. Loved being within walking distance of restaurants and bars. Enjoyed Salsas on Clovis Ave. Parking was very convenient.
Good service. Adequate facilities, but very good for the price compared to other local big chain hotels. Due for upgrade to furniture and carpets shortly which will be very nice. Downtown Clovis next to restaurants (Trelio is expensive but great). Internet has been poor in past but seems much better.
The hotel is clean and well located near downtown Clovis. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The staff are very nice and helpful. Nothing to rave about, but overall a very pleasant experience.
Great staff and comfortable beds. Good location in Clovis. Good parking and near shops and restaurants. Perfect place to be when visiting family. We have stayed here a few times before and each time we were very happy with the experience. Thank you again. Happy New Year.
Spent Christmas night there the room was very clean along with the bathroom plenty of hot water, we ate breakfast which was just okay the eggs potatoes and sausage was okay not a lot to pick from a very small room with just a few tables. The bed was really hard me and my wife had sore backs the next morning, the location of this hotel is in a great place were you can walk around and look a different stores great location. The tv has a great channel lineup, I would recommend this hotel to everyone
We have spent many nights at the Clovis Cole and never been disappointed. The staff is Very Good, the location is away from highway traffic, and is close to entertainment. The rooms are very good and comfortable, clean, and friendly.
We have made a habit of staying here during the Thanksgiving holiday. It is clean, with comfy beds and good service from employees. The location is nice and convenient. Nicely furnished with good wifi and cable. Our stay is always good here!
Great location, and service. Good parking and no traffic noise. Can use more tables at the breakfast area. Had all amenities for showers and ironing clothes. All staff were very courteous. There is nothing else to add.
staff attire looks sloppy. Do not recognize rewards members, and hotel is run down. property is in need of work. No signs were posted reporting improvements were being done so im not sure what was going on. breakfast attendants were way too slow. DIdnt seem to care much. Told front desk needed more food still during breakfast hours and they didnt seem to care. Talking and chatting among themselves. didnt feel important at all.
My husband and I always stay at this hotel when we come into town to visit my family. The staff is very friendly and the overall experience of being at this hotel is very relaxing. Since I grew up in Clovis I love that the hotel is located in Old Town and it is surrounded by all that Clovis has to offer. You still get the small town feel.
The is a great hotel in Old Town Clovis, within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the rodeo grounds. We have stayed a few times for junk days, flea market and antiques. We will stay again again, the motel is top notch and the staff friendly. We are hoping to find the master suite available one of these trips, will keep trying.
Take advantage of walking to shops, all types of cafe offerings and eve. entertainment in Old Towne Clovis. A real treat in this day and age of the "car"! This hotel was recommended to wedding guests and it was a wise decision as it was centrally located when one needed to attend these events; also staff took steps to remedy problem situations.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, SMALL breakfast, average size rooms, clean, comfortable are some of the words I would use for Best Western Clovis. Let me touch on a few points: Room: Larger that normal room than I'm used, which is good. Room was clean, comfortable, fridge and microwave. TV had a lot of channels, but was very small. Rooms weren't in very great shape, damage in lots of places, but was cleaned very well, so i guess its okay, kind of a rustic feel i guess? Bed wasn't the most comfortable, average/below average but pillows were comfy. Noise came through the door easily, but the air conditioner was loud so that took care of any traveling noise from the hallway. Area: Good area, walking distance to nightlife/ old town Clovis, lots of restaurants and bars if your interested in that. Breakfast: Below average, only a couple things, wasn't that great, below average. Service: Great service, The main reason why I am giving a 3 star review, or it would have been a 2 star hotel... staff to save the day! Quick do get things needed to your room and gave me a new room promptly when I first arrived because it was noisy right next to front desk area. Overall Experience: Breakfast, interior aspects of rooms, and noise level is below average. Comfort level, such as beds, shower, was average. Service Was excellent. Almost forgot, Pool/hottub was not clean at first, staff quickly cleaned area. Overall Average stay, more positives than negatives. Would consider staying again.
First time staying here on business in Clovis my normal place in Fresno was over booked but great place to stay old fashioned country décor but nice and clean and friendly staff average breakfast in the morning but overall nice experience for the money
CONS : I have never before written a negative review of any hotel, but this one was bad I have stayed here in the past and this hotel has definitely deteriorated. 3rd floor "Non Smoking" room reeked of cigarettes Carpet dirty and stained and urgently needing stretching PROS: good location for walking to restored downtown Clovis
Hotel was very nice, located in downtown Clovis near numerous bars and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. Room included a small fridge and microwave. Bathroom was very clean. Overall a great stay
Excellent location. Very nice, clean property. Good staff. Breakfast is just OK. Glad there is coffee 24/7. Easy walk to the old town events and shops. We have stayed here several times and it is always nice.
The staff at this place was the friendliest I have encountered. They all were so pleasant and smiled at you. They were great about letting me check in early as I had just worked an overnight shift back home and hopped on a plane. While they finished cleaning the room, they let me sit by the pool and relax, then even sought me out to let me know when it was ready! They were just amazing and I can't say enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay Clovis Cole!
We have stayed at this BW many times. The rooms are always immaculate and the beds are the most comfortable than what we have at home. The staff is always pleasant. It is located steps from downtown Clovis where there are many fine restaurants. We highly recommend this BW.
I love walking out the hotel front door, crossing the street and being in Old Town Clovis. Friday evening farmer's market is great. Good restaurants and stores. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice pool and jacuzzi.
Great hotel that is off the main street. Very quiet and comfortable stay. Would stay again. Stayed here after driving through Sequoia and before going to Yosemite. Just a few hours away from both. Clovis has a great bike path that runs along Clovis street.
We stayed here while attending a wedding in the area. The place is set back from the street and quite lovely looking, with plenty of free parking. The hotel staff were friendly and very efficient. There was fresh fruit in the basket at the front desk at check in. Our room was on the first floor and very clean and quiet. After spending the night, there was a self-serve breakfast in a small area with fruit juices, coffee, sweet rolls, waffles, etc. The standard continental breakfast, but very well appointed and clean. I would definitely stay there again. We did not shop, but there are many restaurants and antique stores in the area, with a large mall not far away.
I stayed at this hotel because my husband had surgery in a hospital nearby. I chose this hotel over any of the other nearby hotels because they had a fridge and microwave in the room and breakfast. I knew I would be in late at night and brought some of my own food so it was nice to be able to store it and warm it when I needed it. I would stay here again. The rooms were a little run down but I was very happy with the free parking and the staff was great.
