"Hotel staff messed up my bill and charged me for damage I didn't do"
I would not stay here again. I booked a reservation in advance of my work travel authorization, using my personal card. When I arrived at the hotel on Jan 30, 2023, I explained to the front desk attendant what I had done, presented my work credit card, and asked her to use my work card when charging to the room. I received a call from the manager mid-week who informed me that two separate reservations had been made on the two cards. This was an error of the front desk attendant, and I was told the reservation made on my personal card would be cancelled and that card would not be charged. Then I returned home and found that I had been charged a $100 damage fee on my personal card, apparently to the room that had been incorrectly double-booked by the attendant. I never stayed in this room, and didn't do any damage to the room I actually stayed in. This hotel also fraudulently charged my colleague and she is also disputing the charge. I will be disputing the $100 fee. The WORST experience with billing at any hotel I've ever stayed at. For reference, I've never done any damage to any hotel room and never been billed for any damange.
"Very nice one-night stay!"
Aside from a slow or cranky elevator, this was a very nice experience. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed. There is plenty of parking and breakfast vouchers are provided for at an excellent southwest diner across the street.
"Overpriced and noisy"
It is a standard motel room. Positives are that it's clean and close to restaurants and stores. It is noisy. You can hear your neighbors walking around, using the shower or conversing. Breakfast is a voucher for the diner across the street. There is a restaurant on site but it was not used.
"Great experience, always!"
We Always feel at home here! So conveniently located in town close to shops and restaurants! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are set up nicely and very clean! The restaurant TAP is great! Nice to have on the premises! The staff is very attentive and the food is delicious. They always play the current sports on the TV!
"Clean, safe, and fun"
Pet friendly, although the designated pet area was small and gravel; however, there was a large, grassy park less than a block away. Clean and tidy rooms. Fitness center is amazing and the pool and spa were clean and family friendly. Hotel staff knowledgeable and helpful
"Very average hotel room"
Rooms are very average and floors were dirty especially around the beds. View is nice from the 3rd floor. Coffee is good. Breakfast at the Southwest Diner was pretty quick and food tasty. You can either or a small breakfast from the Best Western menu or get a $5 credit towards a regular size breakfast meal.
"Friendly staff. Great location."
I absolutely loved this location. I was there on business, but when I had time to myself, this was great. I'm not a glitzy vegas strip lover, so this was perfect. Close enough to everything, but far enough to feel like home. 20 minutes to the strip, so please do yourself a favor...give this a good look.
"Memorial"
Everything was good, just a few things reported and was documented. Beds were very hard, wish it was a little softer like the pillows. Nice there was refrigerator, microwave and kcup coffee maker. Staff very nice and polite.
"Nice location"
Good location just outside of town but close to restaurants and shops. Nice that breakfast is offered a local restaurant right across the street. Bar or something on premise a little noisy but not much. Parking a little tight but not bad. Rooms were nice. No elevator. But ok to second floor. Comfortable beds. Decent sized room. Good place to stay. BTW no view of dam or lake
"Great location for Lake Mead"
We stayed here three night. Great location for all the things around Lake Mead and Valley of Fire. The beds were comfortable. The room was large with a separate living room type area. We were in the farthest room to the back and it was very quite. Breakfast was at a restaurant across the street which was great. The was coffee available in the lobby.
"Horrible soundproofing"
Horrible soundproofing. Last night, loud footsteps in the room above me from 10 pm to 7:15 am - literally all night - made for rough sleep. The night prior, coughing fits to the left of me, conversation to the right of me, as well as folks chatting outside stopped by 10, and I slept fine. If you get lucky with quiet neighbors, the hotel is renovated, clean, and well located.
"BED BUG"
Room had a bed bug on the pillow, room was switched ok, but manager Robb was rude the next day about room credit. Worst thing was infected room wasn't cleaned properly, only sheets were changed. I was told they get bugs in the desert and one bug doesn't constitute an infestation. Never returning to this location
"Just perfect in the town of Boulder."
Highly recommend. Property was tidy and clean, staff was friendly, loved having breakfast at the local restaurant right across the street. We sat outside and it was just so darn cute! We hung out at the fire pit that evening just to relax and it was next to the indoor pool. Great value and nice and close to the Hoover Dam!
"Awful! No concerns for Covid-19 or the customers health!"
This Best Western takes no Covid-19 measurements or concerns for its customers health/safety. We booked 2 nights with this hotel. Unfortunately we came down with covid-19 unexpectedly. The 2 options available to us according to Best Western were we could still come for our 2 nights regardless of having covid or respecting the quarentine guidelines. Or they would cancel one night and are charging us over $200 for not coming. The front desk agent said "Covid-19 has been around too long for it to be a reason to cancel" The Boulder City Department of Public Health has been notified. It's disturbing that a company like Best Western would rather make money then ensure its customers are healthy and safe.
"Nifty breakfast place included with stay!"
Convenient spot for us traveling from Vegas but headed to Grand Canyon. Out of town and easy access. Front desk staff was attentive and efficient. Rooms clean, nice. Quite spot. VERY close to Lake Mead and Dam visits. The free included breakfast is at a really cute and good spot across the road. They have GREAT homemade breads, cookies, cakes, and pies! We took some for on the road snacks.
"Breakfast Saved The Day"
We stayed twice here just 5days apart. The first stay went relatively well. Clean room on the second floor and internet worked well. The only problem was the ice machine on the second floor was not working and we had to walk along way downstairs to get to the only functioning one for the entire hotel. Walking across the street for breakfast was easy and very good. Our second ,stay just 5 days later, was on the first floor along with guests that chose to travel with their dogs. We requested the 1st floor close to handicap parking because my husband cannot walk well. All handicap parking was taken close to our room. The room smelled strongly of mildew and had no hot water that evening or in the morning. The dog in the room next to us barked every time we got in or out of our car. Ice machine on the second floor still not working. For the price we paid, this was poor value. The only good thing was the breakfast across the street and the friendly front desk on both visits. Both visits the maid service had done a good job.
"Out West Vacation!"
This was our first nites stay after leaving SC and flying into Harry Reid airport. We were very pleased with our rooms. Our son and daughter-in-law came with us on our Out West Adventure. Stayed 2 days and it was a very enjoyable stay. The restaurant that we ate breakfast was “The Southwest Diner” and the food was delicious!
"Best hotel in the area"
We came to town for a funeral and needed a spot to pull ourselves together. This is the place. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Everything we needed within walking distance. The Tap Sports bar is connected to hotel, best food and staff.
"Nice hotel, good breakfast."
Room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful and accommodating when we ended up returning a little later than planned. We liked the partnership with close by restaurant for breakfast. It enabled everyone to get what they wanted.
"Nice and comfortable"
Clean, spacious, and comfortable. Adequate parking, though located on the main drag the room was quiet. Friendly staff including housekeeping. Breakfast across the street was nothing fancy but adequate. (The banana bread was excellent.)
"Just as expected."
The hotel was as described. It was clean and comfortable. I like that the doors are to the outside. Please note there is a $25 per night pet fee which I didn't see when I booked the room on booking.com.
"Best motel in Boulder City"
Normally don't stay at motel but it was like staying at hotel expect your door is outside. Rooms has been remodel. Everyone friendly from front desk to maids. Breakfast maybe across the street at diner but it was delicious. Even if you don't get free breathe cost was less than going to McDonald for breakfast
"The general manager ROB is a nasty man!"
THE GENERAL MANAGER ROB LOREDO HE IS A NASTY NASTY NASTY MAN. Black ppl stay away from this man and this Best Western!! HE HARASSED US. I'm white my husband is black! My husband was the only black man on the property!
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Amanda Stamper, So you didn't advise the hotel you had a dog in the room for the last three days. When we ask you about this and how you needed to pay for a pet fee you told us you were going to leave because we are harassing you and we are racist. We are a dog friendly hotel and we ask all guest to pay for pet fees because it takes housekeeping extra time to clean the room and prepare it for the next guest. This is policy of the hotel.
"One night stay to see the Hoover Dam"
We stayed here for one night while visiting the Hoover Dam which is a short, easy drive from here. The room was clean and comfortable. The microwave was a really useful addition. We didn't take the breakfast as we needed something 'on the go' as we were up and away early the next day. My only criticism is that the overflow carpark was being used as an overnight stop location by large trucks and although they drove slowly past the rooms, the rumble of them coming and going during the night was a little annoying.
"Pleasant stay"
Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Hoover Dam in historic Boulder City. We were pleasantly surprised to see our room had been updated and the entire facility clean and very well maintained. Customer service by the Front Desk staff was exceptional, every interaction was positive, friendly, welcoming, and genuine. We didn't take advantage of the complimentary breakfast voucher each morning at the Southwest Diner (schedule conflict) but did get to use the fitness facility. It was small but was equipped with good quaintly treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, cable machine, and free weights. The location was quiet as well as our top floor guest room (room 314). We would stay again because of the great customer service and value.
"Sad they threw out our stuff"
Great room and front desk staff and amazing breakfast. But we left in a haste and when we returned to see if what we left behind was in the lost and found, it was thrown out. Wish the cleaning staff was more considerate because everyone else was amazing.
"BW Boulder City Nevada Family Stay"
Our state at Best Western Boulder City Nevada was great. Felicia at the front desk was helpful and great. The hotel was clean, the pool was open until 11:00 p.m. which was a big plus for my twin boys, and the complimentary breakfast across the street at Southwest diner was great as well. Just wish the breakfast had a bigger portion of food. Thank you Felicia.
"Family business"
A clean and well run hotel centrally located in Boulder City NV. The indoor pool was clean and refreshing. The local eateries were good. Beds were firm and comfortable with ample pillows. Bathrooms were clean, nicely appointed and with great water pressure.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Thank you for your kind review. Hope to see you soon again.
"A great place to stay"
This is a very nice hotel. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. and the shower had plenty of hot water. We had to go across the street for our complimentary breakfast and it was very good. I would stay here again.
"Great stay in Boulder City"
Hotel was clean, beds very comfortable, breakfast options to choose from were good. Tap room attached to hotel was wonderful, great food at a very reasonable price. Plus we didn't have to drive to eat elsewhere after being in the car all day. For a very large establishment things were run very well in our opinion. Will stay here again.
Trevor Stapleton, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear "onebigbad1" Thank you for your wonderful 5 star review, we sincerely appreciate your kudos, and we are delighted you will stay with us again. Thanks again,
"Great Place to Stay"
Passing through Boulder City on the way to Lake Tahoe from Santa Fe. What a great little city, which was made better by this BW and it's attached Tap Bar & Grill. Staff were very friendly, rooms were cozy, a/c worked like a charm, hot water wasn't quite as hot as it should've been but was okay. Restaurant was tops!
"Nice, Clean and would stay again"
Clean room with small refrigerator, microwave & in room coffee, The floors are not carpeted, which is easier to clean & probably cleaner for the guests. Shower has dispensable soap, shampoo and conditioner, which is nice. Staff on check in and check out were friendly and helpful. The hotel has an outdoor corridor, but there is an elevator. We did not use the pool or any other amenities. If you don't mind walking, it looks like there are a few restaurants (including a brewery) not too far from the hotel in like a small downtown area. You could drive, but for us after being in the car all day, we would rather walk. They do not have a breakfast in the morning at the hotel, they give you a voucher for the restaurant across the street. You can order off the BW Menu with your voucher or choose a different item on the menu and your voucher gives you $5 off. The breakfast was good. We would stay here again.
"Start as Excellent"
When we first drove onto the property they had me at excellent! Outside grounds were clean and well maintained! Checkin was slow but 3:30 so it's their busy time. Expected / understood. Room was great. Top floor - no one dancing above our head. Peaceful! Still at excellent! We're a two cup of coffee kind of couple to start the day. Room had two leaded and two unleaded. Not an issue we'll ask the cleaning ladies for more coffee. Hummm.. not on their cart? She'll take care of it. And did. Got back from dinner and there is extra coffee. Sweet! Still excellent! End of day one. Day two. Breakfast is across the street so you need coupons from the front desk to take to the restaurant. No big deal. I walk in and ask…no problem here you go. Oh while I'm here can I get two extra leaded coffees for tomorrow morning. “Yes but they are 50¢ each. What? I got some yesterday. Yes but you weren't suppose to. She got in trouble. But you can bring us the two decaf and swap for regular! Must be a coffee shortage in town. “Strike one”! Strike two was the pool. Closed for private party. Looked inside and a bunch of kids with a dog in the pool!
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Hummer1973, We sincerely appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us. The pool, was not closed, the BBQ area was closed for employee appreciation get together. I am glad our staff was exceptional and you enjoyed our breakfast option across the street at the local diner we partner with. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, I hope you consider staying with us again. Sincerely, Kimberly Draker AGM
"Nice place"
Room was nice and clean and nice on site amenities like a fire pit, restaurant and pool/spa. We did think it was odd we stayed for 2 nights but did not get housekeeping like we have always had at other BW properties. For the price per night we would have hoped for that. But it was a nice stay otherwise. Walkable to everything. Would stay again.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Hello Liz F, Thank you for choosing to stay with us! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the hotel amenities. As for housekeeping, we do service the rooms upon request. We do have that noted in the hotel insert and also on a platform in the room. Thank you, Kimberly Draker AGM
"Recommend this property for your trip to Hoover Dam."
Extremely helpful & friendly staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast voucher for cafe across the street so your breakfast is hot and fresh and what you really want to eat, not what is on a buffet table. Easy access to Hoover Dam. Our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive until 1:30 a.m. Desk clerk was available and even helped us take our luggage up to our room, which we appreciated after a long day of travel.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review

"A nice area for walking so you aren't stuck in your room"
Stayed here two nights to attend a family gathering. Room was a nice size, if a bit odd shaped. The area with the couch was not used by us. The walls are so thin you could hear coughing next door. The breakfast across the street was amazing, so much better than standard hotel offerings. For the high price it wasn't what we were expecting. Perhaps a larger tv, and thicker walls would have made it worth the price.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Tougo, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and we are happy to hear you enjoyed our Breakfast across the street at The Local Diner. We do apologize for the noise complaint. Thank you again, Kimberly Draker AGM
"Mildew, terrible bed and customer service"
We wanted a room while on a road trip so we reserved one here since we usually stay at best westerns when they are available and they have been consistent. So first, they advertise breakfast but they dont provide an onsite breakfast and said they give "vouchers" to the diner across the street. That should be mentioned before we pay as thats a part of why we get hotels, the convenience!. Email clearly says continental breakfast. Next, our room smelled of mildew covered with air fresheners, I'm allergic so I instantly knew. Bed was HORRIBLE! It was like no other bed I have ever layed on. Our roof top tent we stayed in for 10 days was WAY better so we tried to get a refund. The lady said I would need to talk with the manager who wasn't there so we left and got another hotel which was cheaper, cleaner, newer, more comfortable and actual customer service. I called 2 days later when we got home and the manager screens his calls and wouldn't even talk to me. The girl on the phone said the lady who i dealt with was the manager and that she said she already told me that no refund was going to be issued! What a liar! She blatantly lied to me. We even paid the pet fee and were in the room for 3 minutes. I guess $180 is worth me never staying at another best western in my lifetime.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Fickler, I do apologize for this experience and we do apologize for not exceeding to your expectations. We do apologize this experience as tarnished your view of all Best Westerns. Thank you for reaching out, Kimberly Draker AGM
"Just ok."
Upon arriving we only saw the steep steps leading to the lobby. It wasn't until we left the following morning did we see that there was a way into the lobby from the back. The staff at the front desk was trying to check in 3 customers at the same time. For each of us she had to call housekeeping to check to see if the room was cleaned (this was at 4:00 pm). When she got to us we asked if there was a room upgrade available and was told that we were assigned a room upon our reservation and that it could not be changed (the hotel was not full). We received our keys and went to the room. The room was clean. The AC and heat worked and was not too noisey. However the room was not quiet as you could hear the conversations of the people in the rooms next to ours clearly. Some of the other things we found were: desk light lamp light bulb burned out; desk chair was in need of repair as it wanted to tip over backward; hooks on the bathroom door looked good but the screws holding it on were ready to fall out; there was toothpaste on the back of the bathroom door; and the tub drained slowly; the shampoo, conditioner, and soap dispensers were empty. They did not have the breakfast room that most BW's have, instead, they had coupons to the restaurant across the street. There was a special section on the menu for the hotel which was very minimal, however we found it better to order off the menu and receive a 10% discount. This was in a location where we wanted to stay and all in all the hotel wasn't too bad. I would suggest you check out local restaurants on Trip Advisor and don't rely on the hotel staff to recommend a place to eat. There are a lot of restaurants in the area.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Duane, I am aware of this situation as the Front Desk Agent working just started with our company, she was currently still learning the way of the hotel. I do appreciate your patience with her and I do apologize you had to wait longer then expected for check-in. I do appreciate your review with your concerns. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, I do hope you consider to stay with us again and this experience does not tarnish that opportunity. Thank you again for reaching out regarding this. "Clean, Quiet, and Great Breakfast"
Check in was fast and friendly. The room was nicely updated and clean. Not having carpet was a bonus. The mattress was extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows to choice from. It was so nice being able to adjust the temperature to make it comfortable. It was super quiet all night! Easy to walk to many restaurants for dinner or stay right there. The breakfast voucher provided a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommend!!!

"Plans changed, but the hotel was a great adaptation"
Room was great, restaurant had good wings and beer selection, they were understaffed but ones working were great. At the time the pool wasn't heated, but the hot tub was perfect. We had been backpacking but a dust storm came through and had to make an impromptu stop at the best western, and it was a very appreciated break from the tent

"Wonderful hotel!"
I love this property. Very clean and well-kept grounds and rooms. They have an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, and a great outdoor sitting area with a glass fire pit next to the pool area. They also have a nice restaurant/bar attached to the hotel with yummy food. Very helpful and friendly staff as well. They provide breakfast vouchers for a free breakfast at the Southwest diner across the street. The breakfast there is delicious. I have been here before and I will continue coming back.

"Been here several times and will be back!"
Centrally located in picturesque town of Boulder City, this hotel is clean, reliable and fairly priced. It is within walking distance (a few blocks) of the old downtown where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Parking lot has a concrete block wall surround off the main street and is well lit, so seems fairly secure. Haven't used the pool as we are always just stopping off for the night on a trip to somewhere else. We've stayed here several times and will continue to do so.

"Cannot say enough about this hotel"
Cannot say enough about this hotel bit I'll try. First location located in the centre of Boulder City on a quiet street within easy walking distance of quaint shops and Mom and Dad's eateries. Only a 20 minute drive to Lake ahead recreational area and Hoover Dam (as a side note if you plan on going down to Hoover Dam do not have any totes or boxes in your vehicle as there is a security checkpoint and you will have to open all of them. Only 30 minutes from the Las Vegas strip so you can take it all in and not pay the ridiculous prices on the strip. The grounds are well maintained with a nice outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the sunshine while sipping a cold one. There is also three washers and dryers for the guest to use. The rooms are very clean well maintained and thank you whoever decided extra towels and wash clothes would be nice to have. Thank you. Highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay there again.

"Dam Hotel"
The BW is located in the historic town of Boulder City. Close to the NV State Railroad Museum and the Hoover Dam. Front Desk staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast vouchers were given for a diner across the street. We really enjoyed our stay. The only non-issue item, was that the ceiling in the room was very low, making the room seem smaller than it actually was. And we think the room actually leaned a little. We rolled a lotion bottle from the bathroom to the middle of the room. Totally recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area!

This is an excellent hotel! We were delighted with our stay. The room is sparking clean, beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. The staff was super nice. On top of all that, you get to enjoy a delicious hot breakfast of your choice at the restaurant next door. It was a great find!

"Not the place to stay if looking for restful sleep"
This is NOT a hotel, but a MOTEL and a cruddy one at that. Walls are wafer thin, place is very noisy, extremely disruptive at all hours of the night. Drunks screaming in adjacent rooms, kids running up and down the walkway causing everything to shake, patrons from the restaurant sharing the property congregate and partying in the parking lot. Parking places taken up by the restaurant/bar customers. Animals crying, barking/howling in other rooms heard throughout the night. Individuals appearing to be “residents” draping food over the stairway walls hand feeding the crows. HORRIBLE! Management seems to ignore the issues and no one would answer front desk phone in middle of the night to address ongoing noise issues. Room a/c had no auto fan option so fan ran continuously.

Dear Tyarbug, We sincerely apologize your stay wasn't the greatest at the time of your visit. We do try to accommodate and make all our guests happy. I apologize no one at the desk was at your assist. This is typically never an issue. Thank you for reaching out about this matter. Kimberly Draker Front Desk Manager
"Cancellation Policy"
Beware that they do not let you cancel, i had to go to Best Western Customer Service as they were going to charge me for the 5 day stay and customer service was able to get it to one nights charge. I travel often to BC and will not ever stay there with a policy like that and will do my best to keep staff from staying there from now on.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Hello NevadaNick, I do apologize that your reservation could not be cancelled as we do have a 72 hour cancellation policy. We do try and compensate our guests by offering a future credit for your next stay with us. As for any type of cancellations, we only charge the first nights room and tax. We would never charge you for 5 nights. If you booked through a 3rd party and pre-paid the reservation, you would have to contact them for additional refund for remaining nights. Our cancellation or no show fee is first nights room and tax always. If you would like me to set up a future credit for you from this cancellation, please do not hesitate to contact me. #702-826-4300 and please ask for Kimberly. "Low grade hotel not up to Best Western standard"
The hotel is very long, there is only one elevator available at one end of the hotel. Carrying bags up stairs along a long corridor is not pleasant. There was not a cart available to transport luggage. The increase in rates at the weekend is considerable - more than double.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Flamingo2012, I do apologize our hotel did not exceed your expectations. We sincerely appreciate the feedback. Kimberly Draker Front Desk Manager

"Alternative to Las Vegas."
My wife and I got a great deal to Las Vegas. We wanted an alternative to staying in Las Vegas. We choose Boulder City Nevada, about 30 minutes from Las Vegas and were Hoover Dam is and Lake Meade. A really cozy city. We stayed at Best Western which is easy to find. We had a roomy king bed room at a very good value. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

"Wouldn't refunded room a day and a half in advance with Extenuating circumstances management never returned call"
I have been staying at Bestwestern's for over 20 years for work. I work as a wildland firefighter and bring 10 or more personnel to stay at a time. We often get diverted and must cancel rooms. I typically pay for a couple of rooms a year due to canceling rooms too late. I understand that a business can't be making last minute changes all the time. Most hotels will work with you if you cancel for good reason early the same day. The fire truck I was driving had a fuel system issue and would be in the shop for a week. I called the Hoover Dam hotel a day and half in advance to cancel a room on a monday. The front desk staff have no authority to cancel rooms and management wasn't available to authorize the cancelation until days after the stay was supposed to take place. After multiple phone calls and 11 days I still never received a call from Management sometimes being on hold for 30 minutes. I finally got a hold of the front desk staff who informed me that they would not be refunding my stay. Essentially if you need to cancel your room you have 72 hours to do so management is going to hide behind their employee's they don't care about your reasoning. Getting my receipt was also a challenge. This was a huge waste of my time. I understand this is their discretion, but there are so many other places to stay that work with their customers and will hear them out. I called the Bestwestern customer support line with no help in the matter. I will no longer be staying at Bestwestern chains.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Jason Keefe, I would like to apologize for this matter, I personally sent all the information to my direct boss to handle the situation further. Due to the hotel policies we can not issue a refund and I believe we offered you a hotel credit for a future stay that you declined. As for the hotel policies myself or my front desk staff can not assist in any refunds sir. I do apologize again. Sincerely, Kimberly Draker Front Desk Manager Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel
"Noooooo don't book!!!!"
I have been staying in Best westerns for the past month trying to relocate to my new home. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences and every single one of these hotels except for this Hoover Dam Boulder city location. Yes, I booked through a third-party and I needed to change my date simply to a day before I talked with hotels.com they talked with the lady at the front desk on September 17 at8 AM this morning trying to get these dates changed and she refused to help in anyway shape or form. I went ahead and called the hotel and begged her to change these dates and she would not and she was so incredibly rude. I love your hotels but this person should not be working for you it's a simple as that she was completely unprofessional unfriendly and uncooperative. So I'm simply canceling and eating the money which is fine because my hands are tied I have no other recourse she gave me no other choice. This may be a hotel policy but I think it could've been handled much more professionally and with a lot more tact. So super disappointed and I will be posting this pretty much everywhere
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear 924pln, I do apologize we were not able to accommodate your request, as I personally was the person who took over the situation. When you book through a 3rd party and reservation is pre-paid through them, to make any accommodations can be fairly difficult at times. Which in this matter, I 100% was able to accommodate you with your dates being switched. Due to the agent through Hotels.com, they could not provide me the additional information I needed to make this adjustment for you, I explained this to them numerous times, I can modify your reservation, I simply needed the company Hotels.com to send me a new form of payment since the reservation was pre-paid through them. The guest simply cannot provide payment directly to the hotel with these types of reservations. I also calmly expressed that to you. When it comes to booking through other agencies, we have protocols to follow. I sincerely apologize for this matter, as I was trying to assist you. I also have rules to follow as it's my job. Thank you, Kimberly Draker Front Desk Manager
"Near Hoover Dam"
This BW is a bit dated. Our room was tucked away in a corner on the third floor. Quiet, but with a view of the rooftops of other buildings. The Bottom drawer on the dresser Would not stay closed so we had to place a small piece of luggage in front of it so neither of us tripped on it. Bothersome, because it would be obvious to the housekeeping staff that it was broken and no one did anything about it. The room seems clean enough and we did enjoy a good night's sleep.

Dear Sightseer, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and we appreciate the feedback, so we can better accommodate all our guests. We are glad you enjoyed your stay aside from the little maintenance to be done in the room. Warmest regards, Kimberly Draker Front Desk Manager
"Reservation"
Due to a family emergency, we were unable to travel . I called directly to the hotel and they refused to cancel and charged for room we could not use. I asked if they would give me credit for a future stay and they refused.

"Not as expected"
We have stayed at Best Western recently and have really liked our stays. Was very disappointed that this Best Western advertised that they were now serving hot breakfast when that was not true. They normally have been giving out vouchers for a restaurant nearby, but stopped giving them out during the week due to low occupancy. A hot breakfast was part of my choosing this hotel. The bed was comfortable and the location was great for us. Was disappointed that we had to take cold showers the first morning and only slightly hot showers the second day. This hotel did not live up to my expectations. I must say that the front desk people were very nice and efficient.
"You can count on an Excellent Overnight Stay Here!"
Bed – Excellent Quiet – Excellent Breakfast – Excellent – Voucher given for restaurant across the street Parking – Excellent TV - Excellent Internet - Excellent Customer Service - Excellent The pool was open – and looked very clean, but we didn't have enuf time to go in. Lots of restaurants nearby within walking distance. We look forward to our next visit to this hotel, which provides excellent overnight lodging.

"Great stay!"
We stayed for 2 nights during our summer road trip and had a great stay! Rooms were clean and comfortable. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. They offer vouchers for breakfast at the restaurant across the street which was delicious! I took advantage of the exercise room and found it large and well stocked with equipment. Location was great for walking into town. I'd recommend staying here.

"VERY NICE STAY"
The Boulder Best Western is a very nice motel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with many choices on pillows. Everything in the room worked fine and there was plenty of parking. They give you vouchers for breakfast at a restaurant across from motel and the restaurant was great. They have a nice indoor pool for those who swim. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the vicinity.

"Nice hotel"
The hotel itself was nice and comfy. Late checkin took time as the lady was not at the front desk and we thought we were locked out at 2am but she couldnt hear the doorbell. Should have doorbell or phone be heard in the back. Breakfast voucher at the diner across the street was for $5 off regular menu price not free breakfast. There is a BW free breakfast but it was a very small portion. My 11yo was still hungry after a piece of bacon and pancake so my husband for sure was still starving after that. Drinks were not included as well so if you want real breakfast might as well use vpucher as $5 coupon and choose the real menu not the BW menu.

"Not a great place to stay!"
This is a very tired hotel. That wouldn't have been the problem except that I was bitten over 5 times during the middle of the night. I reported it to the manager in the morning. He said he would call his exterminator company and have them check the room out. Someone else called me and said the exterminator company had inspected the room and there were no bugs. End of story! I sent them a picture of my leg but no response. That was a week ago and the bug bites are still red and itchy although getting better.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Good Evening, Vicki1953 I sincerely apologize for this incident happening to you. We should have offered you to change rooms right when this was discovered. We did have our exterminator come and they did not detect any bugs in that room. We also have our Pest exterminator come out for monthly inspections and treatments. I do apologize again. Kimberly Draker -Front Desk Manager
"Top Pick"
We loved our stay in this hotel, it was quite, and near by all restaurants. Front desk was very polite and comforting. Hotel is super clean and newly renovated. "Good place to stay if you're planning a visit to Hoover Dam."
Great amenities and a breakfast voucher. Decent gym and a little pool. Love that they take dogs. Great location with nearby restaurants. Very close to Lake Mead, but the boat parking is very limited. If you don't do boating, then it would be a good place to stay at, especially if you bring your dog.

"Great Property Subpar"
My checkin was smooth the reception that checked us both is was very warm and welcoming. I got lectured when I went to get my breakfast voucher. I was told that I had not selected two guests at my booking. I tried to clarify as I did not see that option when I booked on the website. . I was told I should have paid a higher rate. She then told me since I used the website, it is very clear on there and that I got away with it this time. She was very rude. Nice property, but make sure you follow the rules or you will hear about it!

"Great Hotel"
Friendly staff, clean hotel. Great place to unwind after a weekend at the lake. Pool is great for the kids, and jacuzzi was nice. Parking lot is huge if you have a trailer you maybe charged an additional small fee for parking. But overall great hotel.

"Nice clean comfortable"
I always look for a Best Western when I travel. The beds are usually very comfortable and the rooms are clean. For the price you can't do better. Boulder City Best Western needs to use a thick mattress pad like some of the others do to make the beds a little softer but the beds were still good. The bathroom was very roomy and the two desks gave plenty of room to store belongings. Nice quiet location with oversized parking in the back and lots of regular parking spaces in front. Coupon for a hot breakfast across the street at Southwest Diner was excellent.
"Clean Rooms"
The rooms were so clean. I loved the breakfast option at a local diner across the street. The coffee, tea, and water offered in the front lobby was so nice. All the staff was friendly. I will stay there again!!
"Stay for the location"
This is a great location to stay for Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, but be warned the walls are paper thin and the place needs updating including the linens which were dingy and some threadbare. The staff was pretty nice and helpful though.

"A Nice Escape"
This hotel is in a very quiet location. With fun restaurants and live music nearby. The nearest casino is at least five miles away which we chose. The lake is only about 10 minutes away. The hotel is very hospitable with vouchers for the diner across the street available on the weekends very very nice. To tell the truth I was concerned as we pulled up and the doors were facing outside instead of a hall and stairways instead of elevators... however we so much enjoyed our stay I would overlook that and stay again. From the moment we entered their lobby with the fresh orange slice water and others.... coffee Etc being offered we were in a peaceful place
"Wonderful place"
Best Western are always a beautiful experience. You can always rely on them being clean, A+ amenities, beautifully decorated, and great service. The only thing I wish they had was a grassy area for my dog. He is not used to the sand and rocks of the area. Also I wish more were pet friendly
"Fine for one-night stay "
The inn is located in the historic part of town near charming cafes and diners. We were cordially checked in. When we checked in we offered them two gift cards that we had been awarded by Best Western. The desk people asked me to email them to them, which was fine. They also told me to check my bill when I checked out in the morning. The inn is very long, with three stories. I'm not sure if they had an elevator or not, since we stayed in a room on ground level. Our room was small, but comfortable enough, with a wooden floor. That type of floor might be helpful for people with allergies. I commend the inn for having soap dispensers instead of tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel for the well-being of our environment. There were lots of comfortable pillows on each queen bed. We happily accepted breakfast vouchers for the Southwest Grill across the street. You get a choice of breakfast items from a menu. You have to pay for beverages, since they are not included with the voucher. You can get your coffee or hot tea in the lobby of the inn, if you'd rather do that. They have a nice indoor pool, but the hot tub was not working. My only complaint about this place was when I went to check out and asked to see my bill after the gift cards were removed. To my great surprise, Abigail at the front desk told me I had already used them. I told her that it wasn't possible, since I had just received them on the day of our arrival. Then, upon looking at the gift cards that she showed me, I noticed that someone else's name was on the voucher sheet that was attached to my bill and I pointed that out to her. I emailed Abigail another copy of my voucher and she said she'd take care of it for me. The staff needs to be more attentive to accuracy of bills.

"Need better sleep"
The bed is firm with springs pushing upwards and lots of light coming into the room through the windows and door seam, When you look at the pictures on their web site it appears as if they have blackout curtains, but they do not, too much outside light was coming in to the room during the night and you can forget about sleeping during the day.

"Should we or shouldn't we write this review ?"
We write with ambiguity as on the one hand, we really liked the hotel. The staffs, parking, decore were excellent. Noise insulation is a real issue in the rooms. You hear all the footsteps, all the doors opening, closing... everything!
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear xAme-i1 Thank you for the feedback. Yes we do have a problem with noise and owners are looking at ways to address this matter. Hopefully you give us try again in the near future. Rob Loredo
"Good choice"
I found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for my requests. I had no reason to be concerned about COVID, as I saw their cleaning staff doing a very good job.
"Slept Much Better Than Last Visit"
We had a disturbed night's sleep here a month ago (partying and smoking outside our room), but after a response by hotel management, decided to give this BW another try. We like this historic Boulder City neighborhood. This time we requested a room on the third floor, had no trouble with noise at all, and slept great. COVID notes: Positives - Front desk staff were well masked and friendly. Window opened for fresh air. Room appeared clean (but we wiped down all surfaces anyway). Negatives - People coming into the office, not necessarily well masked. Again observed cleaning staff working unmasked.

"Horrible experience"
The walls are paper thin and people were coming and going all night. You could hear all conversations, snoring, coughing... everything from the rooms on each side of you. The drawers kept rolling open and would not stay shut on the furniture. Bathtub backed up with water.

"Noise"
I waited to see what they would do for me but no news so....after a LONG day driving across country with family of 4 we choose this hotel because it was out of Vegas area and we need a good night sleep since traveling 10-14 hours a day. Hot tub was closed so no relaxing there. Front desk was helpful and nice. Got to our room which was clean. Fell asleep about 11 and at 2am I heard a lot outside our window. Got up to find a group of men outside our door leaning on our vehicle with beer and smoking. I opened the blinds to get my point across, no luck. Called front desk about 2:30/3 and she knew exactly what I was talking about and said she would call them. About 10 minutes later the noise got louder but then in the room above us and beside us. Sounded like wedding reception so we gave up and packed our bags and left at 4am not getting much sleep. I'm not blaming the front desk for this issue and if it wasn't for all this it would have been a nice place to stay. However since the staff knew they had a problem with noise from this group it would be nice to keep them away from other rooms or at least warn travelers or kick them out. Just had hoped for a refund by now or a partial refund due to very little sleeping.
Jennifer Flores, Guest Services / Front Office at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review

"Extremely clean, well-kept property."
Very clean room, well-kept property. Normally they would have breakfast, but Covid restrictions only allow that on the weekends. That did not bother us. The room was so comfortable and it is located very close to the airport, which is what we wanted. We will be making this our go-to hotel when we need to be in that area.

"Not a total disaster, but not a great place to stay"
When we arrived at the hotel, there was nobody present to check us into our room for the first eight minutes. There was simply a note on the desk saying something akin to "out for cleaning, back soon, sorry for the inconvenience." Our room was quiet enough, but it was poorly soundproofed. Anytime a loud vehicle drove by, we could hear it inside of our room. Luckily for us, there were few guests staying at the hotel while we were there. Had it been busier, in all likelihood noise levels would have been a major problem. The floor in our room was NOT clean, seemingly not having been vacuumed or swept during the past few visits. Seriously, this is unacceptable! Although all hotel properties have had to adjust their breakfast offerings during the era of COVID, this property has chosen to take a particularly-cheap way out. Our breakfast grab-and-go consisted of a granola bar, an apple, and coffee--that's it. During our two-week-long vacation staying at a variety of properties in Nevada and Arizona, this hotel's offerings were, without question, the worst that we experienced anywhere.
"Great place to stop for the night."
Clean facilities and room, friendly staff. Great breakfast alternative during Covid, they partnered with a local restaurant across the street. Pool was open late and looked nice, but we didn't use it. Rooms were updated.

We stayed here for our canoe/camping trip on the Colorado. This is a clean hotel. The staff are friendly. Everything worked in the room. It's a quiet place. The tv and remote worked. The beds are comfortable. The sheets are very comfortable. The A/C is cold. Hotel is in close proximity to restaurants and a grocery store. Coffee is offered 24/7. We will stay here again.

"good rooms, but deceptive practices"
The room was nice enough. Due to Covid-19, no housekeeping services. That was all right. However, we stayed 3 nights, but only 1 breakfast voucher was provided to Southwest Diner even though ALL the documents indicated breakfast at the restaurant was DAILY. It was printed on the note when we checked in. It was printed in the hotel information binder inside our room. Even on their own website, there was NO indication that the breakfast at Southwest Diner was ONLY one breakfast for a 3-night stay. This can NOT be due to Covid-19. Southwest Diner was open every morning! We felt stupid by being taken by the false advertisement.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Thank you for your feedback. I would like to apologies for your experience at our hotel. Before the pandemic we were offering all of guest free complimentary breakfast at Southwest Dinner. However, because of the pandemic we did have to make some changes. and we have all intentions to go back to the way it was soon. For now, we offer Grab and Go Breakfast during the week and Hot Breakfast at Southwest Dinner on the weekends. Hope you give us another try in the near future and please accept my sincerest apologies as we navigate through this pandemic Rob Loredo
"Great Choice"
This hotel was very nice and we would go back if we find ourselves in the area again. Check in was fast and the front desk person was very nice. The hotel had a separate pool area. The pool was nice and clean. There was plenty of parking. We had a 1st floor room. The room was very nice and had lots of amenities. The hotel utilizes a restaurant across the street for breakfast service. The restaurant had very good food. The hotel restaurant and lounge was nice and we had a very good dinner.

"Very clean hotel, worth the distance from Las Vegas!"
From the check in experience to the clean room, and check out with a breakfast bag to go, it was perfect safe place to stay in Boulder City. The property is clean and well maintained, and you are in a small town vs. Las Vegas. The two queen beds were great, sheets and entire room very clean, and included refrigerator and coffee/tea. Entrances to rooms are from the outside so no lobby or elevator to deal with. Ice machine right near room. Had take out dinner from Momo Sushi in Old town, ate in Park area within a block of the restaurant. Excellent.

"All nighter"
Clean rooms, professional staff, good price, surprisingly quiet, no view but close to downtown shops and restaurants. Parking was relatively close to room, 3 story building didn't see any elevators. Would stay here again.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Julia, Clean, Professional, and good prices are what we strive to give to our guest. Our parking is set up for the convenience of our guest, we also have an elevator. It is located just behind our lobby next to our laundry room and first set of stairs. We look forward to future visits from you, take care. Sincerely, Jennifer Flores Front Desk Manager
"Great Manager"
I had a few problems when I arrived. And the manager over heard what was going on He went above and beyond to help and actually did more than I was asking for. His name is Rob Loredo. The reason I put poor on service was because they don't let you check in early with out charging you. And they were closed for lunch when I got there and again when I checked out.
Rob Loredo, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Lovebeagle1, We are thrilled that our General Manager Rob was able to exceed your expectations! We do charge for an early arrival, keep staying with Best Western to build your tier up. Sooner than you think your early check in fees get waived bonus points come faster and gifts get given! We hope you come back to see us again soon, take care. Sincerely, Jennifer Flores Front Desk Manager
"Excellent Covid-19 Precautions"
My wife and I are both in the High Risk Group for the corona virus. We spent one night at this Best Western motel and were very pleased with the covid-19 precautions that were in place: all staff in masks, only one patron at a time in the lobby, masks required of patrons while in the lobby, a 24-hour delay before re-booking a room, effective sanitary wipes everywhere, and the room spotlessly clean. On top of all this, it's a nice place. Pleasant rooms recently redecorated, good WiFi, a reasonable dog walking area, and well kept grounds. We will stay here again.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review

"NO HOUSEKEEPING!"
Rooms not cleaned and re-stocked! Returned to my room at 10pm and it was not touched! UNBELIEVABLE! Masks and gloves allow everyone to work-- this is the responsibility of the hotel! Called the front desk and staff was flippant and dismissive. Said she would send towels up in 20 minutes!
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Miller3X, I cannot begin to apologize enough for the mishap with your room. Please contact me directly I would love to get to the bottom of this and ensure it does not happen again. "Won't be back"
No parking had to park in the very back and mind you I was moving so my car was full of valuables. Then when I booked it said 5 for pet was charged 30. Sorry but rooms were not that nice motel 6 is in same category been to some nicer friendlier ones and pets are free my pit stop to my favorite city in Nevada was a rip off for this wanna be Hilton hotel

Dear Rooroo, Thank you for taking the time to provide detailed feedback. I would like to apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. Our pet policy is for the extra time we spent cleaning the room after you depart. We do an extensive cleaning to our pet rooms to help ensure an allergy free atmosphere for our next guest. Unfortunately, we don't have enough parking spaces for every guest to park in front of their rooms. That is why we built the overflow in the back. We would love another opportunity to provide you with a stay that meets your expectations, we hope you book with us again in the future. "Dirty sheets , bug bites "
The Good: the interior was clean overall and staff was nice. The bad: was so tired from traveling just went straight to bed , didn't pay attention to bedding, woke up to find a used nicotine patch stuck to the sheets by the pillow. So disgusting, we notified the front desk, said they'd credit $25 to us and talk to head housekeeper. Also woke up with multiple bites on both arms, told front desk I think they have bed bugs, the lady said those aren't bed bug bites. I contacted my Dr and sent a video picture of said bites, definitely bed bug bites she said. So upset!!! Worst experience. Now I hope those bugs didn't get into our stuff.

"4 Star"
With the exception of an exterior door (cannot be helped at this location), it is an exceptional property. You do hear noise in the parking lot. Rooms were clean and up to date. There was ample parking even with an 17 foot kayak on a trailer.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear GC, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to provided us with detailed feedback. The out door entryways allow guest to park in front of their rooms, and our over flow lot allows ample space for trailers and boats. In future you may request a top floor to avoid possible noise from the parking lot. We also have complimentary ear plugs for our light sleepers upon request. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay, thank you again. Hoping to see you again soon, Jennifer Flores Front Desk Manager 702-826-4300
"Perfect place to stay while visiting Hoover Dam/Lake Mead"
Perfect place to stay while visiting Hoover Dam. One can tell that these folks understand hospitality. Every question one could have was given on a sheet that they give you at registeration - places to go, etc. Very clean and very warm reception folks. The breakfast place across the street could not have been better. I felt like moving to Boulder City after staying one night. Only negative was the dinner at the bar which was part of the hotel - maybe it was operated separately. Horribly greasy quinoa dish with salmon. My sandwich was good though. Nice fitness room and nice whirlpool to end the day.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Stephen, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to provide a detailed review. Hospitality is what we do best, we strive to always be friendly and informative. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and our breakfast partners at South West Diner. The Tap is conveniently located on site, but is ran completely separate from the hotel. Boulder City is a great place to be, we would love to see you again. Please book with us again in the future! Best Regards, Jennifer Flores Front Desk Manager
"The most helpful staff"
This was a great hotel stay for the price, but what really blew us away was just how welcoming and helpful the staff was. They answered all of our questions, gave us insider details/recommendations on places to visit and eat, and overall just really seemed to care that we had a good experience during our time in Boulder City. They double checked that we got to our destinations and were always kind and greeted us with a smile. I would recommend this hotel to just about anyone, and am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.

"Would definitely stay again."
Great location. Awesome breakfast. No resort fees. What's not to like?!!! The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We stayed on the first night of our vacation before driving to Arizona. Our family was going to stay on the Strip for the last night of our vacation before but decided to stay at Best Western again instead. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review

"Clean rooms, thin walls"
Really didn't feel like staying in Vegas this time so ventured out towards Boulder City. Great location, good atmosphere, and super friendly service. Clean rooms and comfortable bed - the only complaint I have is that the walls are super thin. But, just bring your plugs and you'll be good. If looking for a decent place to rest your head on a budget - this works.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Wanderer, Thank you for taking time out of your day to provide detailed feedback. A friendly, clean and enjoyable atmosphere in a great location is what we are all about! "Fantastic"
This was our second stay at this property. We were delighted with our last stay and again this stay. The lobby has been remodeled since out last stay and it is beautiful. Rooms are very well decorated and extremely clean. Will definitey stay there again on our next visit to Boulder City. The perfect place to stay.

"Great Hotel"
This was a great hotel at a great location The room was very spacious and very clean. The bed was very comforatable. I'm not sure if the restaurant is affiliated but great place to get a meal and walk right back to the room. Staff was very pleasant and efficient.

"Delightful"
We were just passing through on a road trip with our only destination some place warm and comfortable, where we could do outdoor activities. We ended up staying 4 nights because the accommodations were so comfortable, the staff so heplful, and the area offering so much to do. Hiking, biking, and water activities. Boulder City is a quaint town offering history and friendly people. So glad we took the time to enjoy it and not just pass quickly through.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review

Sincerely, Jennifer Flores Front Desk Manager
"Great Stay In Quaint Town"
Clean room with a nice bed and the free breakfast at the Southwest Diner was the cherry on top! If you're looking for a fun and affordable place to stay just outside of Vegas, this is it! We didn't have to swim in the indoor pool but it looked great too!
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Kim, Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to share your valuable feedback. Quaint town close to the famous Las Vegas strip is what we are all about. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your breakfast with the fantastic Southwest Diner. Hopefully when you come back to visit us you will have the time to enjoy our great indoor pool. One of our best amenities at the property, we hope to see you again soon. Best Regards, Jennifer Flores Front Desk Manager 702-826-4300
"Another comfortable stay in Boulder City, NV"
This is the second stay I have at the Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel during the past two years. This time I upgraded to a King room, on the upper level towards the back of the property(recommended) and welcomed the extra space & comfort. I made good use of the sauna, the internet access via the free to use computers and the washing facilities available on site once again. The availability of these facilities was one of the reasons I chose the Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel for my return visit to Boulder City, NV. The included breakfast voucher, for up to 5$, was also welcomed.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We appreciate your reoccurring business and are glad to hear you were able to enjoy some of the amenities we have to offer at our hotel. In future please feel free to contact us directly prior to arrival, we would love to make arrangements for you (if needed) to ensure we give you another great stay. Thanks again and we hope to see you soon.
"A pleasant enough hotel"
The pool is the big disspointment, especially when visiting in winter time. This is a covered outdoor pool with no changing facilities or toilets. There also is no restaurant, therefore breakfast is provided by a diner across the road. Drinks are not included just a very basic continental breakfast. The hotel has an adjoining bar which opens at 11 AM also nearby is Tipoa Rental Car which I used after booking at their website.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Thank you for your feedback. Our indoor pool unfortunately does not have the space for changing rooms or a restroom, we are looking into a solution for this and we appreciate your understanding. We have fresh towels out by the pool daily for our guest to help with the short commute to their rooms, but we are always looking into updating when and where we can and 2020 is going to be a fantastic year for our hotel. We would love for you to come back and enjoy our property. We hope to see you again soon, thank you again for your feedback!!
"Our experience in Boulder City NV"
This is the cleanest motel we have stayed in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts at the South West Diner were very delicious and the choices were great. We definitely recommend Best Western in Boulder City NV
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Thank you so much for your feedback! We absolutely love our hotel and our town, we take so much pride in what we do and in the town we love being in. We hope you come back again and see us we would love to have you here!
"An absolutely wonderful place to stay"
I usually stay at the Best Western Sahara in Las Vegas, but rates were double due to all of the conventions in town. I just needed a good cheap place to stay for six days for the purpose of hiking Red Rock Canyon. I no longer gamble, so there was no need for me to stay near The Strip. This place fit my budget and the laid back atmosphere of this town was another big draw for me. I had read Trip Advisor reviews and some of them had me second guessing. Well, as for the thin walls, yes, one can hear your neighbors, but not every single word. I came equipped with a portable DVD player with my favorite music and a very good pair of headphones, so the "thin" walls were no problem. Heck, someone should invent sound proofing to be added to these kinds of motel walls from the inside of each room without having to tear the walls out. Since, I am not an inventor, go for it!!! The really biggest noise comes from the plastic fake cobblestone walkways on the upper floors. They do not look good, but they provide a "freight train" sound when the maid comes through with their carts. At first this was annoying, then it was highly amusing. However, when one hears this noise between 3 pm and 9 am the next day, it is other guests rolling their luggage down these walkways. This could wake some folks up, but the chance is rare. So why have I mentioned the worst foot forward for this place first? The down home feel of this place and town far outweighs these minor quibbles. I felt like I was family staying here! One would never guess that this place is a mere 25 miles away from the hustle and bustle of The Strip. The town has a small town feel and expect to see lots of good morning greetings from everyone. One will NEVER see that on The Strip. Also, make sure to walk through the delightfully quirky downtown part of this wonderful city. You will also be across the street from what I consider to be the best restaurant in town, the Southwest Diner. You will get a breakfast coupon to eat there every morning, If those half dozen or so choices are not good enough for you, then you get $5 off from whatever you want. Their free breakfast at this place is still much better than most other Best Westerns. And for history buffs, if it were not for Boulder City being built after the Great Depression to house the workers on the Hoover Dam, Las Vegas would not exist. Yes, Las Vegas was built after this town to have the workers spend their money on vices. Then the mob moved in from Chicago and the rest is an evolving history. Thank goodness for this town!
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
This feedback takes the cake! We cannot express enough thanks for your review, we have looked into updating our walkways at our property in hope that the noise from luggage can be better controlled, so stay tuned. This year is going to come with fantastic ideas and great new modifications. We truly hope you come back and stay with us again. We love our town, our locals, and our guest. Here at Best Western Hoover Dam we are all one big dam family and are so glad we can make you feel apart of it as your forever are! Thank you again for your kind words.
"Spot on!"
This place was great. Friendly staff, large car park, very conformable rooms. Would stay again. The only negative was that the breakfast was served in a nearby diner (1 minute walk) and perhaps the staff there could have been a little more sociable. But everything about the hotel was spot on.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Thank you so much for your valued feedback! We understand that offsite breakfast is different, we wanted to provide our guest a chance to try the local cuisine. Unfortunately we are not in control of the restaurant but we do have complimentary grab and goes available in the lobby upon request in he future. We hope you come back and stay with us again!
"Awesome touch and speedy check-in"
Great location outside of Las Vegas and close to the Hoover Dam. Very unique touch and great amenities. Easy check-in and loved having the hot tub. I also loved the design of the room where the door is outside and you can go directly to your car. No hallway to get through.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
We are so pleased to read you enjoyed your stay and our property. We take a lot of pride in what we do here so on behalf of all of us we THANK YOU! Thank you for your loyalty and thank you for your recognition. We are so grateful that we have met your needs and you left here satisfied with your stay, as that is always our number one goal! Please come back and stay again!
"Okay experience at Boulder City location"
Check in was timely and our room was clean. Our TV did not work and could not be repaired during our stay. The fitness center is very small and the treadmill was not working. We were given a voucher to have breakfast at a diner across the street. The breakfast was good but there was a wait and we had to pay an additional $22 for breakfast. This was a surprise because the hotel states that "breakfast is included". Overall, this hotel was a good choice in the area.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
We understand off site breakfast is different, we wanted to provide our guest a chance to enjoy the local cuisine. We have the specialty menu for complimentary breakfast, it is only when you order from the full menu that you pay the difference. Our vouchers will cover $5 if ordering off the full menu, you can stack your $5 vouchers together if everyone ordered from the full restaurant menu for a larger discount. The restaurant is very popular we hope you were not kept waiting for too long. We are always updating and fixing things as we can we will make sure no one is inconvenienced in the future in regards to the television and treadmill not working we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We are always taking our guest comments into consideration when making changes and your comments have been heard loud and clear, thank you again for taking the time to provide your valued and very helpful feedback! We hope you come back and stay with us again so we have a chance to provide you with superior service.
"Lovely hotel"
Took a family trip to Nevada to see the hoover dam and visit Las Vegas. The family love the room and hotel. There is no continental breakfast, but the restaurant they give you a voucher to has good food. The room were nice and beds were very comfortable. There is a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the rooms. I would recommend this location is you want to visit the hoover dam.
JFlorBW, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
We appreciate your kind remarks about our property. We are overjoyed to hear you and your family had a stay worth loving. It is our goal to provide superior service to all of our guest and their families, we hope you all come back to stay with us again!
"Don't Express check out"
Beware of surprising damages that occur after you check out. If you do not do a walk through with a hotel employee you may end up being accused of domestic violence and paying for a television that worked before you left.
jflorbw, Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Thank you for Providing feed Back about your stay at our property. When checking into any hotel you sign a contract taking responsibility for any damages made to your room. As any other hotels do, our rooms are inspected for damages after the completion of every stay. When damages are found in your room, you are liable to cover the cost of damage made to that room. We are never placing judgement on our guest, we are following our policy and doing our best to provide a safe stay for all of our guest.
"Pleasant Surprise!"
We were not sure what to expect, and received a very pleasant surprise when we opened the door to our room! The property has been recently remodeled and they did a great job. I love the fact hotels are currently replacing carpeting in their guest rooms with wood flooring! The vouchers to the diner across the street was also a pleasant surprise, not only that they were provided but that the food was amazing!
jflorbw, Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
We are beyond pleased that you enjoyed your visit. We take a lot of pride in our property and our local businesses it has been a pleasure partnering for breakfast with the diner across the street. We are very glad you like the new floors in our rooms and truly hope you come back to Boulder City and stay at our property again!
"Very welcoming"
We were greeted at the front desk by a large, hand-made sign welcoming us and thanking us for our membership - nice touch. The rooms were quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant across the street served humungous dishes that were very tasty. We would not hesitate to recommend this motel or stay here again.
jflorbw, Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Thank you! Your feedback is appreciated and valued tremendously, we appreciate and cherish our members and we thought a hand drawn sign personalizing your welcome would be an additional way to say thank you. We love our property and carry our positions with pride so your praises go a long way. Without you we wouldn't be us! Thank you again for choosing Best Western Hoover Dam.
"Disappointed"
Pool was 60° with all the high windows open. Breakfast was bread in a tin. For over $100 real disappointment. Bed was ok. Would have stayed at another hotel had we known all of this, sorry don't know what else to put☹️
jflorbw, Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
Sorry about the pool tempurature. With the high winds over the weekend the pilot went out and took a while to get the temperature back up. Unfortunately, when you partner with an offsite restaurant and they deiced to close on Thanksgiving it makes it real changeling to provide our guest breakfast without a kitchen. I hope you give us a try again in the future
"Better than expected"
Updated hotel, nice comfortable beds, modern bathroom. The walls were a bit thin we could hear the people in the next room talking. Hotel lobby provides free tea, coffee. Breakfast included provided by a diner across the road, you can choose the hotel designated breakfast or their own and you get $5 off. Located on a nice main street which is a nice little evening walk, especially at this time of the year (November) when the Christmas lights are up.
JFlorBW, Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
We are so glad that you had a good stay with us. We are sorry you experienced noise during your stay we are aware of this now and I will pass it along to the owners of the property. Thank you again for filling out our survey!
"Nice hotel"
This was a nice hotel with good beds. The pool and spa were clean and nicely done indoor facility. The hotel was in the downtown area with multiple small restaurants and bars in the area. It is close to Hoover dam and Lake Mead Recreational area.
"Comfortable and friendly staff"
The location is convenient and very comfortable. While they do not have a breakfast in house, they offer a discount at a diner accros the street. Parking is convenient and an excellent value. We will stay again.
"dam hotel"
breakfast not on premises; voucher at restaurant across street and was good food. 3 story hotel with outside doors to rooms and all open to parking lot; 1 elevator at front of hotel; long walk to some rooms. comfortable bed; bathroom small but adequate; room seemed expensive for a Best Western
"ok"
ok ok ok ok yes yes yes forgetit release this survey best least least breakfast situation best was a down and out roon. repeat what you want to get 200 words who said you make all the rules ? either release this message or good bye
"A Gem in Boulder City"
I was looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay while taking care of family and decided to stay here based on the reviews. This property goes well beyond what one would expect for the price. They really set the bar pretty high. I really like the breakfast voucher system, which enabled us to get a sense of the community and the overall welcoming vibe. I really don't like the cafeteria style motel breakfasts and usually won't even bother with them, but I took full advantage of this unique perk. My sister and I were so impressed with this property that we stayed again this month, and even brought more family with us this time :).
"Not up to the Best Western Standards"
This was probably the noisiest hotel that we have ever stayed in. We had a cougher and a snorer next to us and it sounded like they were in the room with us. There was a barking dog that was loud and people kept dragging there suitcases past our room until late at night. The room it self was decent and the woman at the front desk at check in was very pleasant. The breakfast was across the street at a diner which the hotel gave you a coupon for. The selections were very limited and you had to pay $2.50 for a cup of coffee. I read that the place had been recently renovated but they sure did nothing to eliminate the noise issues, we won't be staying there again.
"Great clean hotel"
Clean ,fresh and great location in downtown Boulder City. Nice to have a newer hotel with good beds to sleep in. Coffee in morning and Beer on tap in evening. Good staff , I use this hotel 3 times a year.
"Hoover Dam Best Western "
Average for a Best Western. Very noisy both from other guests and the attached bar, which was near our room. The breakfast is across the street at the Southwest Diner, and was probably the most wretched breakfast food we've ever had on our many trips. Lousy weak coffee, cold food, my pancakes were as dry as the surrounding desert and had no taste! The room itself was okay but a bit cramped for a deluxe king. It was clean and there was a wide selection of channels available on the tv. Front desk staff were very good.
"We spent one night en route to the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, UT"
Our stay was very pleasant overall. We were impressed that they provide sanitized remote controls in the rooms (in a cloth case)! Arriving for a late evening check-in, we found that we weren't able to get parking very close to our room and my friend had a boot on for a broken toe, but we managed. Another thing we encountered that the complimentary breakfast is actually served at a cafe across the street. One can order a few specific items on a complimentary basis, but beverages served at the restaurant and gratuities were not included. (Though we were told upon check-in we could obtain our beverages in the hotel's lobby and take them over.) Staff were pleasant, and we had a good night's sleep, so our needs were nicely met. We had planned after checking in to drive to a restaurant in town, but it was closing as we arrived. So, it was suggested that we might eat at the restaurant/bar adjoining the Best Western! We went there and each had their Thai Chicken Salad, and it was amazing! And service was wonderful there, as well! If we'd have known, we wouldn't have left the property at all until breakfast time after checking out!
"Very pleasant stay"
Check in was fast, the room was new and the beds very comfortable! There are a lot of parking spaces! An indoor Pool and jacuzzi is also available! Free Breakfast is available , you get a voucher and you have to cross the street and go to a Diner! There you have a Choice of 4 different dishes or you choose something from their menu and get 5Dollars off! We had a nice stay there and would definitely come back
"Dam trip"
Good launch point to see the Hoover Dam. Hotel has easy access to local eating establishments. Very friendly staff on the front desk with fresh water in the lobby. Breakfast was not on-site but conveniently across the street at a local diner that gave a more local feel
"excellent"
Very nice place to stay away from the downtown of the Vegas strip. Very quiet and restful. Staff is awesome. Reasonably priced. Close enough to Vegas but AWAY from all the traffic and noise of Vegas. This is 'the place' we will choose for future trips to the area.
"OK room and Hotel"
We stayed at this hotel to avoid the resort fees of Las Vegas hotels and since we were just staying one night. The hotel room as OK, but we had a problem with the air conditioning unit blowing directly on one of the queen sized beds, which made it difficult to sleep. The on-site restaurant had decent bar type food. The strange thing was that the continental breakfast was across the street at the Southwestern restaurant.
"Very impressive!"
This hotel is extremely clean, has great amenities and is in a good location. The room is large and I love that the floors are wood laminate. Excellent breakfast options included as well at the cafe directly across the street.
"Just Okay"
The bathroom was very small and the fan loud. Everything was clean except the floors. Our white socks showed the dirt. Wooden floors so we could hear people walking around above us. Pool was a very nice size and well kept and in a separate building. Breakfast is included, but you go to a restaurant across a kind of busy street. The rooms have outside entrances. We could see daylight between the door jamb and the door.
"Poor value"
Noisy hotel with poor breakfast arrangement. Room had lots of noise coming from the parking lot outside. In addition the AC system was noisy, so overall it was difficult to sleep. The Internet seemed very finicky so I had difficulty staying connected. Breakfast is a joke, a poor offering at a local restaurant across the street. You pay extra for coffee or juice or you get a modest discount off the regular menu. Better off to find a Dennys.
"Great casual hotel"
Stopped here for one night before visiting the Hoover dam, the location is great. 5 minutes from the free way and really close to the dam. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was a good size and very clean. Only downside is there is no kitchen for breakfast, but you get a voucher for $5 off per person at either the dinner across the road or the bar next door.
"Nice Hotel, clean, good breakfast"
This was a very nice best western, the rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. The amenities were very good the option of coffee at all times in the lobby as well as iced water and fruit enhanced water were wonderful
"Great Hotel"
Friendly and helpful staff, newly refurbished and spacious rooms, excellent pool and gym onsite, make this and ideal location to stay. This hotel is ideally located for exploring the area, located near good restaurants and easy to get to. Would definitely recommend.
"Best Western Boulder City"
We had a beautiful, newly remodeled king room on the 3rd floor. Very clean and attractive motel. Lots of parking , nice people work there. The little town of Boulder City is charming. Very clean and neat. The pool is an indoor pool so I would guess heated in the winter.
"Very Cozy"
My husband and I stayed one night after visiting Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam before heading to Vegas the next day. At check in, we were greeted by a very nice employee and given directions. Fruit infused ice water was available in the lobby. We were really surprised how big our room was! We also found the restaurant attached to the hotel, "The Tap," to be super convenient after a long day of hiking and also very tasty! There were two options for breakfast: either at The Tap or Southwest Diner across the street. We chose the diner and were offered a pre-determined breakfast menu or $5 off per each of our meals. We chose the latter and got two large burritos for a total of $6 after the discount. Check out was easy and we were told we could leave our keys in the room. We would definitely stay at this location again.
"Great CLEAN motel"
This motel has recently been remodeled and is an excellent place to stay. Very accomodating staff The motel has no kitchen but gives cards for your free breakfast. It is close to the Historice downtown--walking distance--another plus
"Nice hotel in a fun location"
We really enjoy this hotel, definitely one of the best in Boulder City. Close to walk to the cute down town area restaurants and close to the boat marina in lake mead. The rooms are nice and clean. Parking area for boat trailers too.
"As expected"
We don't normally stay in Best Westerns but wanted to be close to the Dam and this hotel had an exceptional rate when I booked. I don't like hotels with exterior doors but the reviews mentioned that it was a safe area and I would agree - it really did seem safe. You really had to push hard on the door to get it to latch so be sure to check it before you walk away. The room was oddly shaped but seemed clean.
"Before Vegas"
The location of the hotel is wonderful. We enjoyed three days of sightseeing around the area. We went to the Hoover Dam one day. Then to the London Bridge in Lake Havasu. Lake Meade is a beautiful area.
"Superb, highly recommended"
You cannot go wrong here for the modest price; modern and contemporary amenities and facilities. Good gym, pool and attached restaurant (for breakfast). Motel-style rooms but at superior level; comfy beds, lovely shower/bathroom with tea/coffee and fridge. Staff friendly and efficient for check in and check out. Really nice stay, would definitely go back.
"Great, clean hotel"
Loved this hotel. Although the rooms were on the smaller size, the rooms were clean and beds were comfy. I liked the hardwood floors. Very pet friendly. Front desk employee's were super friendly and helpful. Checking in/out were a breeze. Breakfast at the the tap room was good also. You get a voucher for breakfast and can be used at 2 different restaurants. We ordered the American breakfast (I think that was what it is called) at the Tap and it was really good. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
"convenient location"
room is good, but the front office checking lady (Keslie) is so rude. Breakfast was terrible. This hotel does not follow regular Best Western standards. for breakfast there was no coffee or juice. The restaurant was dirty and had flies.
"Night at Hoover Dam"
Very polite staff. Very Clean and accessable to the dam area. Small Rooms. Inside pool was clean and nice. Decent buffet breakfast. I like the room to have an outside door. This hotel did not, but would recommend to a friend.
"Great remodeled hotel, convenient location"
This hotel has been beautifully remodeled but has a few quirks. The stairs and elevator location aren't convenient and the walls are cardboard thin (I could hear my neighbor's TV constantly). That said, they've done a nice job with the place. The hotel is conveniently located right downtown Boulder City and within walking distance of lots of restaurants. The breakfast situation is weird; you get a coupon (that you have to ask for each day) that only gets you a couple of items. I ended up eating in my room as the restaurants didn't offer enough options.
"Great stay for a sad reason"
Came into town to join family to mourn the loss of a key member of our family. Have been to Vegas on multiple trips I never stayed in the Boulder City but now I will be booking my stays at this location from now on!!!! Everyone that was on duty during our family's stay went over and beyond to assist in everything we needed. Thank you!!!!! Our rooms where clean, up to date and very comfortable. Like I said, I will be back!!!
"Nice location, breakfast vouchers"
Nice rooms and loved that there was guest laundry room. The pool area was hot if you weren't in the pool and the pool area is pretty small. They give you breakfast vouchers that we were able to use at a diner across the street that had good options.
"Tuckaleechee"
Traveled to Gatlinburg, TN to see the Tuckaleechee Caverns. The Caverns were fantastic. Anyone visiting here should make an effort to see them. They are about 25 miles from Gatlinburg in Townsend TN but worth the drive over there. Wanted to take a trip up the mountain on the Sky Lift but it was down for maintenance because of incliminate weather the day before so we decided to take the other one, The Anakeesta ski lift. It was really nice after getting to the top. Several shops plus zip line and beautiful scenery. Only thing about Gatlinburg is, it is wall to wall people and bumper to bumper traffic and the parking rates are really high. We stayed within walking distance to everything which helped a lot. Unless you like crowds and traffic it is not for you. When leaving and going back to I40 it took us 35 min to go 7 miles because of the traffic backup to Dollywood. After getting past Dollywood it was smooth sailing.
"Fantastic Location!"
Our family was highly impressed with this Best Western location! Upon check-in, we were greeted by an immaculately clean lobby, the staff was friendly and extremely informative and our room was spacious and clean. This property must have been recently renovated, as everything from the rooms, beds, furniture, to fitness center and pool were all gorgeous! We were impressed with the size of and equipment in their fitness center and how large their pool and spa were! The pool ranged in depth from 3.5 feet up to 6 feet, and they offered an over-sized spa, that could easily seat 12+ adults. Another neat feature about this location is that they provided two breakfast options. They have a restaurant on property entitled, "The Tap," which you received a voucher at check-in for a $5 breakfast. Our whole family was able to select menu items that were satisfying. If you opted for a higher-priced menu item, you received $5 off of your purchase. There was also another restaurant right across the street at which you could eat. The location of this Best Western was another ideal feature, as it is located in the heart of the historical district. Our family ended up taking a self-guided tour around the historical district, which greatly informed us about the city's past and their involvement in building the Hoover Dam. We would highly recommend this Best Western location for anyone looking to stay near The Hoover Dam.
"Wow"
Great surprise in awesome town. I had not been since the renovations, this is a clean friendly place to stay while visiting Boulder City Nevada. Lake Mead and Hoover Dam close and the hotel had plenty of boat parking!!
"What a gem!"
Had a wonderful stay. Property is very well maintained and the front desk staff provided outstanding customer service. Internet is fast and reliable. They provide you with a breakfast coupon that can be used at the adjacent bar/restuarant. You can get a modest American breakfast with eggs and bacon or sausage fro free or the voucher can be used to defray the cost of ordering from the menu. We had a scrumptious breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.
"Good for a short stay or if visiting the Hoover Dam"
We stayed here briefly while visiting the Hoover Dam. The staff was very nice and efficient. I printed a few forms I needed out at the business center. The room was clean. The only down sides were that there is only one small elevator, close to the office which is not very convenient. Second the beds were hard and not very comfortable. The location was good as it was close to Hoover dam. They had 2 options of restaurants for a free continental breakfast and it is close to a grocery store. It wasn't may favorite Best Western but it was good enough for what we needed. The main thing was it was clean, quiet and fairly spaceous.
"Comfy beds, nice pool, clean rooms"
The rooms were very nice and clean! The pool was really nice and the hot tub was relaxing. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was super friendly. This hotel was right in historical downtown Boulder City. You can walk to many places. The ONLY downfall wasn't a continental breakfast.
"Would stay again "
We almost exclusively stayed at Best Westerns throughout our trip out west. They are definitely the best chain near the western national parks. This hotel had an indoor pool which was nice to have. You could also choose between 2 restaurants - one onsite which is a bar at night and one across the street. You are given a breakfast voucher coupon and can either use it to get 1 of 2 free breakfasts on the menu or get a discount on the other breakfast meals on the menu. I thought this was pretty funky. It was weird eating breakfast in a bar and having only 2 free options. However, we stayed in several Best Westerns on our trip and there was no consistency with regards to breakfast. At the Grand Canyon the breakfast items are very expensive and you receive no discount at all. On the other hand at Bryce there is a super nice free breakfast buffet. Anyway, this was a clean hotel with a pool and we had a fine stay.
"Good stay"
Lovely stay. The hotel was easy to find, plenty of parking, and clean! The hotel was quiet. The building is three stories and an elevator is available. Ice is located on the ground floor, which can be a problem if you are on the third floor. The hotel includes breakfast but you are given vouchers for your choice of two restaurants. The voucher is worth five dollars and meals are available for that price at the restaurants. A slight hassle but you have to pick your vouchers up daily. The rooms were clean, bathroom very nice. Flat screen TV with cable. The hotel has an indoor pool – in a separate building. Also a workout room and laundry. The hotel is within walking distance of the "old town" of Boulder City, which is quite nice. Lots of restaurants and fun little shops are there. The staff was friendly and overall we had a very nice stay.
"Personal business"
When we checked in, we were given a room on the third floor. Elevator was near the office and the room was at the other end. We contacted the office and requested another room and the gracious staff obliged us and placed us on the ground floor next to other family members. The office staff was GREAT
"Lovely Facility, Clean, Excellent WiFi,"
Nice Hotel near Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Very clean and excellent WiFi. Safe location, great for families but also suitable for solos trips. I would return to this hotel in the future. Arir conditioning works well. Good pillows and 4 per bed.
"Boulder City NV, Best Western"
I certainly enjoyed my week at Boulder City NV. The Best Western is an excellent choice for lodging, and is located within walking distance to several great restaurants. Boulder City is a nice, clean town, and I really enjoyed the wayside exhibits and interpretive media describing the history of Hoover Dam and the people who built it.
"Hoover Dam stop"
Excellent place to stay and relax during our travels. Clean, friendly, and great value. The young lady at the front desk was helpful and friendly. We hadn't planned to stay in the area. We were traveling and needed to stop for the night. We are so glad we stopped here.
"Great stay"
All updated clean and the beds are SO COMFORTABLE! Complimentary full breakfast and it's delicious. Only one complaint and that would be the noise level. Each day they started cleaning rooms around 730 to 8 AM and the sidewalk outside the rooms are like a cobblestone so you hear everything like the window was open or the door is cracked open, that's how much you can hear, and the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything so if you're an early riser it's no big deal but if you were out late down on the strip you might get woken up early. Room has a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Great size and I was glad to see no carpet. Air conditioning is soooo cold which was great being it was hot. Overall great stay and would stay again.
"Great Stay"
I would highly recommend the Best Western Hoover Dam Hotl. It is clean, staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. It is conveniently located in Beautiful Boulder City. This is the only place I stay in Boulder City.
"great experience"
We were well pleased with our room it was clean and quiet and close to enough to the dam to make it convenient. They offered two choices for breakfast. You could got to the restaurant on site or the one across the street you had a coupon for the breakfast that was included or you could get $5 off the regular menu selections. We took the $5 and the food was great. The pancakes are huge I couldn't even eat all of the short stack. We also ate there the night before it was excellent. Staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful.
"Superb!"
I absolutely recommend this hotel. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and clean. My pup was welcomed with a treat bag and the pet area was clean. Gym facility had a good assortment of weights. Super friendly staff. Great experience.
"Best Value For You Buck"
I was very happy with my stay here. The facilities were excellent, and the price was unbeatable. Taps, the restaurant/bar that is connected the hotel, had great food and beer. I will definitely be back.
"Great stay!"
We stayed in the king suite and the room was quite large! The kids loved the pool! They gave us vouchers for breakfast and we used them at the diner across the street. It was delicious! The front desk staff was really nice. We had driven all day and it was nice to see someone smiling!:-)
"Good stay in downtown Boulder City"
I stayed here while doing the Saints and Sinners Half Marathon. It was close to Bootlegger Park and was easy in and easy out. Check-in was painless and accessing the room was easy. The room was spacious and very clean. The TV had plenty of channels and the bed was comfortable. For about $90 a night, I felt I got good value for my money. The hotel is close to the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, gaming, and plenty of restaurants. The pool was nice and indoors. I loved the Jacuzzi. My only gripe was that the rooms face the parking lot and as people came in late at night I could hear them dragging their suitcases along the cobblestone walkway outside of our room. We were on the top floor near the staircase so we heard plenty of people coming in. It wasn't terrible, but I would've preferred a little more quiet. Despite my gripe, I'd stay here again and would recommend it. The hotel was clean and comfortable and in the desired location.
"Pleasant Surprise"
I had never stayed at a Best Western Plus property. I loved the hard flooring over the carpeting usually found in hotel rooms. The woman who checked me in was extremely pleasant. The hotel was clean. The rooms were a little smaller than other hotels I have stayed in. Breakfast was at a local diner. You pay anything above $5. Food was very good. I would recommend this property. Boulder City is a very quaint town. Just up Nevada Way is a park and many interesting bronze statues. Great place to go for a walk.
"Pleasant stay"
Helpful staff, with quick and easy check in. Room was clean and quiet. Not overly large but adequate for our family of fours needs. Easy, pleasant walk to historic downtown Boulder City. Breakfast voucher provided.
"Friendly staff, super clean, convenient location"
The front desk staff made checkin quick and easy, and they also gave advice on parking and safety for attractions in Las Vegas. Room was very clean, comfy & spacious. Express checkout had us on our way quickly the next morning. I would totally stay here next time we are in the area, I wish we would have had longer but we only stayed one night and flew out the next day. Very convenient location to Hoover dam, outlet shopping and Vegas attractions.
"This place is solid"
New, clean, well managed excellent fitness room, nice indoor pool and great location. Walk to historic Downtown Boulder City, easy drive to Hoover Dam. Ran into local Saturday night street fair with live music and food trucks. Close to reasonably priced and accessible golf as well as nice parks. Good Sushi in historic DT Boulder City (Momo Sushi) Experience was much better than staying in Las Vegas. Will definitely stay here again when in area visiting veterans memorial cemetery or recreation at Lake Mead. Hoover Dam museum at Hoover Dam Hotel just up the street is well worth your time.
"Great hotel and location "
We stayed here while visiting Hoover Dam. We loved the location in Boulder City. Lots of nearby restaurants and close to the Dam. Our room was nice and I especially liked that they provided a breakfast voucher at your choice of 2 restaurants next to the hotel. It was great getting to finally enjoy a “real” breakfast and not the typical free furnished breakfasts usually provided in the hotels.
"Nicest hotel in Boulder City"
A lot of pros and cons. The hotel was booked when I arrived for my stay, and they didn't have the king room that I had reserved. The average normal price for the hotel seems to be $60-75, since it was busy I had to pay $135 per night. Quite a rip off, but it is what it is. The nice girls at the front desk were getting bombarded with phone calls, and they told me to come back the following day and they might have a king room available. I went to the two bed standard room that they put me in and found it to be comfortable and clean ~ the hard floors were nice. Although, when I pulled back the covers on the bed, it had a lot of long black hair in it. I opted for the other bed, that also had a lot of hair in it, just not as much as the first. I went back to the front desk the following morning and they were able to secure a king room for me, but it wouldn't be ready until the late afternoon. I would be gone for most of the day, so that wasn't a problem. The king room was ten times better than the standard double! Much more spacious and open. I think my room was 331 or 332? The water in the hotel is barely warm, and is only hot if you take a shower at 5am like I did, and it doesn't last very long. If you are a woman traveling alone, I would request a ground floor room. The stairwell is kind of creepy at night, and not very well lit. If you have to stay in Boulder, this is probably your best choice. I didn't have time to eat breakfast, but they give you a food voucher good for breakfast at either the restaurant connected to the hotel, or a little cafe across the street.
"Hoover Dam Best Western"
Nice clean multi story hotel (with elevator) and a very nice indoor pool and hot tub. Rooms are a little tight with two queen beds but nicely decorated. The fitness center has one of everythng you might need. The breakfast was the standard powdered eggs though. Nice location, not too crowded and just a few miles from the dam.
"Motorcycle Trip"
Excellent service and hotel restaurant was still open at 9pm. Check in was quick and efficient - received a ground floor room which was surprising due to the lateness of the checkin. Would definitely stay again.
"Great place!"
Great place to stay close to Hoover Dam and about 1.5 hours from the West Rim. Large rooms and a pretty view of the mountains. Restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful
"A Visit to the Hoover Dam"
We stayed at the Best Western over the Easter weekend. Visited the Hoover Dam on Saturday after flying in Vegas from NY, and had a rafting tour planned for Sunday morning over at Lake Meade. This seemed like the ideal location to spend the night. Great little restaurant next door for a bite to eat and some fantastic craft beers. The hotel gives vouchers for breakfast in the morning at either the attached restaurant or the diner across the street. Staff was friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and well-kept. The rooms are VERY small however, so if you are traveling with family, or plan on staying in the room for an extended period of time, I recommend you look elsewhere. We were only staying one night, arrived late and left early, so this worked perfectly for us. Great experience for a extremely budget friendly price. The local area seems lively with a cool vibe to it. I would stay here again as long as I wasn't planning on spending a lot of time in the room (due to the size). All in all, a great little hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff, great places to eat nearby, and a great price.
"Weekend Getaway"
Our stay at the Best Western Boulder City Inn was fantastic. The rooms were spotless, the staff was friendly and very attentive. The breakfast that the Motel offered was very good and filling. The motel was only 25 minutes from Las Vegas, and just minutes from local hiking trails, Lake Mead, and 10 minutes from Hoover Dam. I will be making another reservation with this motel, the next time I travel to Boulder City!
"Old hotel, but...."
On a quick business trip and found this hotel. Keep in mind that the hotel is older so my expectations were not high. The appearance, parking and lobby were as expected. The rooms are the open balcony walkway style. When I got to the room I was pleasantly surprised. Recently remodeled and it was spacious; very nice. The only reason for a four is because the mattresses are okay, towels were rough and the water pressure was not very good. Would I stay again, yes for a quick trip but not a long stay.
"Boulder City is Great"
After reading some of the reviews below, I asked for a quiet room when we checked in and the receptionist duly obliged with a third floor room near the back of the hotel. We stayed for 2 nights and there was a family next to us on the first night and we could hear their conversation. On the second night, there were no neighbours and it was lovely and quiet. The staff were really friendly. We enjoyed the indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. You can easily walk into the town and we enjoyed our last day of holiday strolling around and relaxing. It's also very close to the dam. Boulder City doesn't have any casinos and is a quiet town but still has bars and restaurants. It's just a 30 minute drive into Las Vegas which we did on our last morning for our flight home.
"Wish I could give it 6 stars! Beyond excellent."
I really enjoyed our stay here. It was excellent in every way. It was easy to find, the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful and gave me treats for my dog, they were pet friendly with a designated area for dogs (and a grassy park less than a block away), our room was clean and modern and comfortable. There was a lounge and breakfast area on site, but also a pub with live music and restaurant literally next door. Our breakfast voucher worked either on site or at the nearby restaurant. They do not have single use plastic toiletries, but use eco-friendly refillable dispensers with really lovely products in them. Yay! I also noticed (but did not use) the electric vehicle parking and recharging spots, and a chair-lift to get in and out of the indoor pool. Nice touch. I highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again.
"Great Base for Touring Hoover Dam and Canyons"
We stayed for four nights, using the hotel as a base for our tour of the Hoover Dam, a cruise on Lake Mead, tour of the Davis Dam, visit to Oatman and its burros on the old Route 66,and hiking in Red Rock Canyon. The hotel's location allowed us to avoid the commercial Las Vegas and really enjoy super natural Nevada.
"Great stay!"
Great location, easy to get in and out of. Very clean room, lots of room. Even with the bar being part of the hotel, it was quiet in our room. Would definitely stay here again. Heading back home after cross country mom & Daughter road trip.
"Really enjoyed our stay! "
We stayed for a week and really enjoyed ourselves! The pool was great and our toddler loved it! They don't give a breakfast like most hotels but instead give vouchers for $5 off of either “the tap” (I personally don't recommend it, but I think our experience would have been different if we didn't have our son with us.) or the diner across the street (which we loved!) We were on the second floor and didn't find the noise to be too awful, it seemed pretty standard for a hotel in my opinion. The staff were super nice and accommodating! I highly recommend this hotel and will stay again when we are in the Boulder City area! Thank you all so much!
"Close to Hoover dam "
This was a nice property. Kids loved pool. Rooms were nice and clean. Property is well kept. Front desk was friendly and helpful I would definitely stay again when I'm in the area and would recommend to others.
"Nice and Clean but with Some Problems"
The rooms are nice and clean. However, there are a few problems. The beds are really hard but the biggest issue was there is absolutely no sound proofing / insulation between rooms. You hear EVERYTHING outside, in the adjacent rooms and the room above you (we stayed on the fist floor). The TV's, casual conversation, snoring, the apparent furniture movers and the ABBA - "SOS" [Super Extended Repetitive Version] being sung from above. This is one of the worst places I have stayed at for the noise. The last item I will mention is... breakfast. There is no full breakfast being offered like other hotels. They provide breakfast burritos catered from the "The Tap" bar attached. They are just ok. The burritos do not match the quality of food at The Tap as the food there was excellent. We ate there for both Breakfast and Dinner.
"It's good location"
This is pretty close to the dam and lake mead, I will say the place is nice and clean. We only had one issue when we got there the maid cleaned but really just fixed the bed. After that the room cleaned perfectly with sheets and bathroom towels changed. The whole stay they never replaced the conditioner it was empty, I don't use it but pretty sure they should have refilled it.
"SIERRA VISTA VISIT"
Pre-Check in was easy prior to arrival. Check in was quick. Hotel was easy to find. Parking was very limited. Room was very nice. Breakfast was limited. Breakfast Burrito were main dish. Pastries, coffee. Dam is only about 15 min drive.
"Best, Best Western "
My friend and I stayed in a 2-Queen Room for one night. I reserved last minute (less than a week's notice) for a relay race we were participating in. We picked BW because the rate was decent and the location was close to the start of the race. I requested late checkout so we could have time to shower and pack after the race. I appreciated the email saying that our late checkout was granted. The room was perfect for our stay. It was nicely decorated with Hoover Dam photographs, wood floors (yay no carpet). The room was very clean and comfortable. They provide, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the shower which is convenient. They have plenty of charging ports on the nightstand and desk, although I would have liked to have seen a couple of USB ports. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable of Hoover Dam and the area. We did not have time for the Hoover Dam tour, but did make the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. Well worth it. Thanks ladies for the info. The lobby has information brochures on the surrounding areas. They also supply complimentary coffee, tea, and packaged pastries (great for long distance road trip home). We ate dinner at the attached restaurant and bar. The food and service was fantastic here. I had the lemon bar for dessert...so delicious. I regret not getting an extra to go!! We had breakfast at the Southwest Diner across the street. Again our food and service was great. Overall a great experience at this location. It is the BEST BW I've ever stayed at. Normally, I don't like motels (where your door faces the exterior/parking lot). But, I was on the third floor at the back and felt very safe. Probably my only complaint (and 1-star less) is that the walls do seem thin. I could here the neighbor's TV and later snoring.
"Great Hotel with a Great Location!"
Great location away from the lights of Vegas. Had a King room with a sofa which was great for when my husband got up early and I slept in. Located right in Boulder City, close to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead Recreation area. Bed was comfortable. Room had fridge and microwave, which was a plus.
"A Great Night's Stay."
On the last night of my week long trip through the desert areas of the southwest I was pretty well beat up and ready for a good nights sleep. The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. I got a room at about noon and was told that I could checkin immediately. I decided to head out for one more hike down to the hot springs south of the dam before heading to my room. Wow! Very pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. Very spacious with a king bed, a couch in a sitting area and the nice large TV. The only reason its not five stars is that the bathroom is oddly small considering the size of the room. Adequate, clean and well set up but small. The attached restaurant and bar were great for dinner and a few local craft beers. I will stay here again, no question. PS: only a 25 minute drive to the airport with no real traffic to fight.
"Great Mini Vacy"
From the front desk staff, to the location, and the clean room, my stay was enjoyable! I would definitely recommend BW/BC to family and friends. This property will be my go to in Boulder City, it is centrally located and close to BC's old town which has quaint shops and restaurants.
"Great Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel"
This Best Western was convenient to hotel get to from Vegas. They had excellent service and well appointed rooms. They have a restaurant that Is attached which is a fun place to go. Our grandchildren enjoyed the tacos and chicken wings! Across the street they have a cute diner for breakfast The pool is heated lots and has lots of towels however there there is no changing room. There is a good laundry facility there which is convenient for families. The best compliment we can give was that my husband left his backpack and they saved it even after we went traveling for five days Thank you everybody at the Hoover Dam Best Western.
"Great Hotel in Boulder City"
Of all the hotels in the Boulder City area that my wife and I have stayed at, this is probably one of the nicest. The front desk girl, Haley was super friendly and on top of things even though there was a large group of people checking in. The room we had was very clean and we really liked the modern decor. It's also nice that it's got The Tap - a brew pub at the front of the building and is within a short walk to just about every other dining establishment in old town.
"Great hotel"
Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel is a great hotel. The room was Clean, quiet and comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and efficiently in a check in scene .I will visit again and recommend it to a friend.
"Veteran funeral"
Our stay was due to a sad event, lost one of my best friend! On top of that had vehicle breakdown, requiring extended stay time, but all hotel personnel were extremely helpful. Turned out to be a good experience, and the staff made that happen!
"A good stay"
Newly remodeled and the restaurant had good food at reasonable prices, The swimming pool is enclosed and very nice. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It is not a long ride to Hoover Dam and about 25 miles to the McCarren Airport.
"great rooms, shame about the walls"
Great receptionist, great rooms and facilities, i.e. swimming pool, laundry. As long as no one stays in the adjoining room your stay will be fine. The room walls are so thin, we had to ring through and ask reception to tell our neighbours to keep quiet.
"Not cheap and no breakfast"
We are members of the Best Western club so we use them a lot when traveling. 99% of the time we are very pleased with our stay but this hotel does not meet the Best Western standards. BW advertises that there is a hot breakfast. Usually this is true but this location offered coffee and pre-packaged muffins for their breakfast. Not a cheap location either. We would have been better off driving farther after our visit to Hoover Dam and staying for less in a Casino and buying breakfast. Would not recommend this location.
"Lovely motel, lovely overnight stay!"
The buildings looked good, and the room was excellent: comfortable, clean, bathroom fully supplied, quiet air conditioner. Fine location: easy off the road heading east towards the dam. A good small mall a few blocks away with a full grocery store and a fine Chinese takeout/restaurant. Nice price too! The reception area had a good binder of local restaurant menus: excellent! I highly recommend this motel.
"A little pricey but a great hotel"
wash-basin, with an annoying fixed central tap. No tea making facilities or safe. There is a separate heated indoor pool and sauna which I am sure is fine in the heat of the Nevada summer, but in winter, you have to walk across the cold/wet car park potentially and there are no robes provided in the rooms, and because of a ventilation problem in the design, they leave the windows open 24/7 which makes to whole swim experience very unpleasant and NO CHANGING ROOMS or Restrooms in this building?? yet they had plenty of space to supply one? The Tap is a privately own resturant/sports bar that plays annoyingly loud heavy rock music every morning. The staff are great and the Contentential Breakfast great value for money. Finally Tipoa Rental Car are also based in Boulder City and at Las Vegas airport and I used my rental car to visit Hoover Dam and Death Valley !
"Paper thin walls"
Could hear the profanity from the room next door like I was in the room. Bed was squeaky and uncomfortable. 2 dealbreakers for me and therefore will not stay here again. Very disappointed with the experience.
"Good value for the amenties & friendly service you get"
This was my first stay at the Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel and based on this experience it will not be my last stay at this hotel chain's properties. Friendly, helpful staff at check-in & check-out, good, well maintained room assigned to me (top floor towards the back of the property) and useful other facilities available that I made use of; particularly the indoor Hot tub which was great to be in after a full day's hiking. Plenty of extra water is made available within both the indoor pool/hot tub area and the fitness center. The central location makes it easy to get the various tourist options available within boulder City itself. An enjoyable stay.
"Hoover Dam business"
Overall, it was a great Hotel. The bed was not the greatest, but I did get some decent sleep. Unfortunately, it was noisy outside in the parking lot, after the local drinking establishments closed, and the people in the room above me, were up all night till about 4 AM. I know the Hotel has no control over any of this. I bet during the work week, its even a greater place to stay.
"Great find."
Renovated older Best Western. Great rooms, Internet, restaurant. Would highly recommend. Great value for the price. Breakfast was muffins, juice, coffee. However, great restaurant/bar on premises.Best beef dip I have ever had!! Also, husband had excellent breakfast for about 4 dollars. Would stay here again for sure!!
"Return to our winter home"
Pleasant surprise with this hotel. Very clean, comfortable room. Larger than expected, well appointed. Thoroughly enjoyed having a couch to relax on since we'd had a long drive that day. Had a bite to eat at the on site lounge/restaurant which was very good. Definitely will make this one of our travel stops in Nevada.
"Very clean and tastefully remodeled hotel in Boulder City"
We stayed there for two nights for son's baseball games. Did a lot of research of hotels. Booked this one but still a little skeptical about the noises complained by other travelers. But had a great experience staying there - room was large, clean and very tastefully remodeled (popcorn ceiling is the only thing that remained from the old era); front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and accommodating (requested a higher level room in the back and that was what we got!). There were some slight noises from people talking on the front porch but overall not noticeable. Compared with many other hotels in the area, this one clearly was a winner! Would most definitely stay here again next time.
"Short trip"
If you want stay away from the strip when you go to Las Vegas this could be for you. The hotel is 20 miles from the airport and strip but just 5 miles from the Hoover dam. The hotel is clean and the rooms are good. The breakfast is very limited although the local Tap is the adjoining building that offer breakfast and other meals and beers at a reasonable price.
"Clean room but could use a few upgrades"
We stayed here for one night on our way to the Grand Canyon. The location is convenient and easy to find, and there are plenty of quick food options around. The hotel room itself was clean but not at all cozy. Everything about it felt like a motel. The blankets were very thin - I was actually worried we'd be cold at night. The pillows were not comfortable at all. Front desk folks very great though, very friendly and helpful. I think this hotel is fine for an overnight stay but probably not for a prolonged stay especially if you are on the picky side
"Exterior Halls, no breakfast."
We stayed here because I wanted to be off the Vegas Strip and didn't want to pay for parking. The good things- 30 minutes from the airport. Close enough to the Vegas Strip. Close to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Room clean and beds comfortable. Nice and cold refridgerator. Dresser, desk, tv, good air-conditioning. More tv channels then we had in Utah hotels. What I didn't like. It was noisy at night. I thought there was breakfast but there wasn't. Exterior entrance into rooms probably make it noisier. No easy parking. I have a handicapped sticker but there were no available. We were originally put on the second floor a long ways from the one elevator. We have 4 bags plus extra stuff so we could make ourself breakfast and lunch and it was hard to get them to the room.
"Not a resort but very nice for one night stay for the dam."
This was a room we booked to visit the Hoover Dam the next day. We ordered from a local pizza shop Vinny's and it was great in room delivery and pizza. Huge pizza with side salads for $22 including delivery. Breakfast at the on site restaurant Tap Room. Sounds like just a bar but the omelette was huge and tasty. The room was clean but the bed was low to the floor and made the whole room seem dated.
"One night stand."
Old motel updated. Rooms small. Walls thin, could easily hear everything from the rooms next door. Also, floors creaky. If you are not on third floor you will hear the people above you as well. Mattresses very hard, but not pillow tops so not comfortable. No food services. Staff helpful. Would not stay again.
"Great hotel at a great price"
Nice hotel, updated with wood floors and nice decor. Comfortable and clean rooms and comfortable beds. Great location near the Hoover Dam. Breakfast was minimal, but hotel was close to food locations.
"very nice motel style hotel with indoor pool"
Only stayed one night, comfortable and good value. good location for Hoover Dam Free Parking and nice friendly Bar Also other restaurants within walking distance but verey quiet area. Pop into Hemmingway Park on the way to the Dam and see the Long horn free roaming Goats and veiw overlooking Lake Mead.
"Nice place!"
This was a brief stop over on our way to the grand canyon as we landed in Vegas late. The hotel was as good as it could get! clean, friendly and modern. We showed up late pretty much just to sleep. We did enjoy the small continental breakfast on our way to the grand canyon and Hoover dam, The check in check out was easy.
"Probably one of the best Best Westerns I've stayed in"
We stayed here overnight after flying into Las Vegas and preparing to see the Hoover Dam the following day. This Best Western had spacious, clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Did not get a chance to try the pool or Tap bar and grill, but we were very impressed by the fantastic value for the price of the room. Short walk to the Coffee Cup restauarnt, which is a great place for breakfast!
"Hoover Dam Hotel"
Short stay while driving home from the Grand Canyon. Hotel was convenient to local restaurants. Room was a good size and did not make you feel cramped and was very clean. Shower had good pressure and the bed was pretty comfortable.
"Nicely located Best Western"
Nicely located motel for those passing through Boulder City. Very clean rooms ans many good restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast at the adjacent restaurant was very good, though I'd have preferred an actual breakfast buffet.
"Review of my stay at Best Western Hoover Hotel"
I found it to be clean and well set up. Staff was helpful and responsive. I would choose to stay there the next time I travel in the area because of the helpfulness of staff, and the attractiveness and the cleanliness of the hotel..
BestWesternHotels, Corporate at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review

"Twice is nice"
I've stayed here twice now and would come back again. This hotel is very clean. They did a great job with remodeling of this hotel. Try the restaurant in the front, The Tap, it's great too. This hotel is within walking distance to downtown Boulder City, all the local stores, restaurants and bars. The staff is very friendly and helpful in every way.
"The Best By Far"
We recently stayed 3 nights at the Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel and was so pleasantly surprised at not only the great rate, but also the cleanliness, easy access, comfort, and quiet area. The staff, from check-in/check-out to cleaning crew, were extremely friendly and helpful. All our needs were met. The restaurant, "Tap" has fantastic food or there are several other restaurants within walking distance. If you are looking for the peace and quiet of a small town, I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay. The bright lights and excitement of Las Vegas is just a short drive away from this peaceful paradise.
"On our way home"
This Best Western was very conveniently located for our trip back to AZ. Quiet & plenty of Restaurants to pick from. The room was very comfortable, nice TV, small fridge, coffee maker, microwave. Will definitely stay here again.
"Very clean "
Such good value this hotel has an indoor pool with jacuzzi housed in a separate building with free bottles of water and plenty of towels. Two free DIY wash loads can be done. Free coffee in reception. Lovely clean well furnished room with fridge, microwave, coffee machine. If you don't want to stay in Vegas but want to be close to hoover dam and Grand Canyon this is a good option. We walked out and down street to eat although there is a tap bar and restaurant on front of hotel. The area was clean safe and friendly.
"Awesome stay in Boulder City!"
Had the pleasure of spending 2 nights (Sept 8/9) in room 213. King room was super comfortable , had fridge microwave, sofa bed and nice bathroom( the hair dryer is in the closet if you are looking for it.) Lots of parking was available. The staff at both checkin/out were wonderful! Especially appreciated the go bags with water, granola bar and apple. No breakfast is included. BUT a delicious breakfast can be had at the Tap restaurant right on site! Awesome service, great food and well priced ( under 25 for 2 people). If you are there on the weekend have the French toast with the smokey bourbon sauce! Delish!! This property is an easy 20 min commute to strip and about 10 mins to Hoover dam and Arizona border. ( and beautiful commutes at that) Also close to a gas station, grocery store ,cvs and dollar store. We will definitely be back as we fell in love with Boulder city! Tips and tricks to travel with no regrets: Check out the amazing shops around Boulder city!
"Quieter than Vegas!"
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. The price was more than fair, the room was large and beds comfortable! As welll as clean ! I would recommend the hotel as well as the area if you to avoid the craziness of Vegas or if you to get better prices, it's about 25 miles from the strip. More family oriented. It had a great pool and hot tub. Breakfast wasn't included but most of those that are have been pretty bad, do we would rather eat out and pay less for the room! We would stay here again!
"Clean, comfortable and NON SMOKING."
This is my go-to hotel when I'm passing through the Las Vegas area. I really appreciate the fact that it is a completely non-smoking facility. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. I only have two complaints (and the reason for a 4 star rating rather than 5): for some reason they don't provide hair dryers in the rooms, and the toiletries are so strongly scented that I can't use them.
"A Beautiful hotel"
Boulder City is a pretty town with souvenir shops and restaurants. This Best Western is gorgeous outside. The staff is friendly and the room was very nice. We didn't try out the restaurant, because we drove around the town.
"As expected"
We stayed in a newly furnished room, king bed, it was very comfortable. Ate at the bar/restaurant, it was okay, the bartender was great, drinks good. I think it was just what we expected. The hotel gave us a goody bag upon checking out, that was nice (water, granola bar, apple).
"Great Location, Good Hotel, Amazing Check in Experience"
We arrived very late so we didn't experience much of the hotel amenities, other than breakfast at the attached restaurant. However, the check-in experience despite the late hour made this BW stand out. Angie was the staff member who helped us check in and she was caring, helpful and so outstanding in her service that we remember feeling less tired just from that interaction. The location is great, the room was clean and nice looking and the food at the restaurant was pretty good. The service at the restaurant was mediocre but their chef is pretty good.
"Great Place To Stay"
We were looking for dog friendly near Hoover Dam. This hotel is clean, quiet, updated, and the staff was awesome! We were pleasantly surprised! Also within walking distance of places to eat and shop. Definitely will stay again and definitely recommend.
"Great stay"
We stayed for 7days/nights the whole stay was wonderful. Room was clean, updated. Pool is indoor so the night it rained we could still swim. Location is great. Close to down town Boulder City. 10 min to the lake. Will stay here on our next trip.
"updated room, cute town (boulder) and great lobby (coffee & computers)"
glad i found this hotel and it was perfect for next day at hoover dam. the town of boulder is SO cute! wish i had more time to wander the downtown streets. hotel has been updated & room was nice. loved the computer in lobby & used it to find a breakfast joint for next day. loved the laundry. nice staff. got a great prepaid rate.
"Good hotel, great location...but"
We were on our way to Zion from CA and decided to stay in Boulder to visit the Hoover Dam. The hotel is in a great location, within an easy walk to some nice downtown restaurants, it was clean, good parking and the room was adequate for a short stay. Our only issue (minor but an issue) was the check in staff. The gentleman who checked us in was not overly friendly (it was not busy) and a little argumentative. When we went to our room we noticed that we did not have the password to the wifi...a quick call to the front desk got us the password but also a lecture that it was printed on the sleeve of our card key, trust me it wasn't printed on the sleeve. Because of the attitude that we received we decided to show the clerk that we weren't idiots and that the sleeve did not have the password printed on it as we were leaving to walk to dinner...well that was also a mistake because now we had to listen to him place blame on someone else who made the mistake of not printing the password on the envelope. The only mistake that I saw was a clerk who decided to argue with a customer over nothing. Didn't wreck our stay but a little better staff training in customer service seems appropriate!
"Nice stay"
The structure may be older, but the rooms have been completely updated. It was an unexpected surprise. Very clean and very comfortable beds. They allow pets, so if you need a room that is pet-free, opt for the 2nd or 3rd floor.
"Nice location but not for a long stay"
Hotel is a bit older, the vanity was behind the bathroom door, so another person could not brush teeth or get ready until the other was done. Is a big hotel and elevators are not convenient to most rooms. They have a restaurant, but breakfast is a brown bag with an apple and granola bar.
"Great reception."
Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, Thanks to Jeff' (not Gee-Off !) and Jean, for the full attention and ease of checking in here, such great people, giving us all the information that we required, the allocated room was great clean and smelling "fresh" free coffee and water were offered at once, the breakfast arrangement is a separate restaurant on site, although if it's your choice a pick up and go snack was freely available at the front desk,Slept soundly in our room. A very large indoor pool was on site. As it happens we left some items behind when we left,Jeff called me the same day,as we had travelled some way he said he would hold them until we returned, which he did, great,we then, even later on,two weeks, we then called and stayed again, great great, great, Thank you very much.
"Perfect Location"
We stayed one night while traveling through Boulder City. This hotel is conveniently located near historic downtown with several restaurants within walking distance (loved the barbecue at Fox Smokehouse). Hoover Dam and hiking trails are a short drive. The hotel rooms open directly to the parking lot. There is an indoor pool that also sits off of the parking lot and a restaurant onsite. No breakfast included, but coffee and tea are available in the lobby and complimentary "to go" bags with bottled water, an apple and granola bar are available at the desk. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable with a coffee maker, microwave and mini frig. Good Location at a reasonable price.
"Southwestern's best"
What a great experience for a weary family traveling all day. The rooms were fresh, clean, well stocked and free of odors. The staff was cordial and helpful. Ate at the onsite restaurant which was tasty and included local musical entertainment. They sent us off with a care package for the road. Super thoughtful. Will definitely return.
"Convenient Location"
We were traveling to the Grand Canyon and wanted to see Hoover Dam on the way. We did not want to stop in Las Vegas and this was a great option! It was extremely hot the day we arrived so were grateful for the good air conditioning in the room. It was great to have an elevator to take us to our 2nd floor room. A lovely room, very good bed. The restaurant next door was good for dinner and breakfast next morning. No breakfast provided by the hotel. A great stop, easy to get to the Hoover Dam next morning.
"Modern"
My wife, myself, and toy poodle stayed here for one night. After some confusion at check-in, the manager of the hotel straightened things out quickly. Our room was quite nice, spacious, and modern in its decorations. It was clean and was equipped with a king sized bed, a flat screen TV, small fridge, and a microwave. It also had a sleeper sofa and comfortable chair. There was no breakfast included by the hotel but there was a restaurant right next to it. Our poodle cost $30 for the night which I thought was excessive. All in all a pleasant stay.
"Good for Hoover Dam"
We wanted an overnight stay after visiting Hoover Dam and this fits the bill. Big Room but no Breakfast provided, just a grab and go bag consisting of water, an apple and a granola bar! Microwave, Fridge, small T.V. shower/Bath, coffee maker. Pool and Jacuzzi on site. Staff very friendly and no problems with noise or quality of Bed. One of our party was requiring Gluten free cereal so we bought our own but forgot Milk and when we asked if they could help they directed us to the on site separate restaurant who charged us $3.75 for a glass of milk, Ouch!
"Excellent"
Beautifully renovated hotel right in the heart of the historic downtown district. A 10-15 minute drive to the Hoover Dam. Our room was clean, spacious, and updated. Check-in was quick and the lady at the desk was super friendly and offered great suggestions on restaurants in the area. Highly recommend this hotel for long or short stays in Boulder City.
"Decent hotel but be warned..."
Pros Cost - This hotel is very reasonably priced for the location and what you get. Rooms - Rooms are very large and contained serval couches and a large king bed Bathroom - Was large with a separate door for the toilet shower area and the vanity Location - in the heart of Boulder City with many shops and restaurants close by Staff - Very friendly and helpful Cons Keep in mind this is an older hotel that has had a face-lift. So the old bones are still there. They recently renovated all the rooms with new hardwood, beds, tvs, bathroom fixtures etc... so don't be fooled by the photos which make this place look like a 10/10 when in fact its more of an 8/10. Many people complained about the noise and unfortunately it's true. They didn't renovate the walkways outside the room and remain an old tile composition so when you roll over it with your luggage it makes a lot of noise. We arrived at 12am for check-in and felt really bad that we might be waking up people rolling out luggage across the walkway, but we had no choice. This place is more like an inn/motel rather than a hotel. Entrance to your room is accessed from the outside rather than contained on the inside like your typical hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay but just wanted to warn people because the images are deceiving.
"Vacation "
This hotel is nice and clean. It has a very friendly staff that will help you with any questions. They don't offer breakfast but have a restaurant at the front that has VERY GOOD food. It's a lot cheaper to stay a few miles out rather than in town.
"Great Location "
The room was clean and comfortable. They had friendly staff. We loved the location. Even though they didn't provide breakfast they had a snack bag and coffee for us in the office and restaurant located next to the hotel with reasonable prices and decent food. We could walk to historic downtown and restaurants. It was not far from Hoover Dam.
"Good Accommodations"
Room was clean and had the necessary amenities. There was a pool in a separate building. There was no complimentary breakfast offered, but there was a bar called “TAP” in the front of the hotel that offered breakfasts. I was a bit skeptical at first when I walked in, but the breakfast was delicious. A copy of the breakfast menu is available in the hotel lobby. There also looked like there was a restaurant across the street that was serving breakfast.
"Nice Place!"
We were tired from our days travels and we arrived late, but the hotel clerk was waiting for us with a smile. Very nice and friendly. The room was small, but clean with comfortable bed. There was coffee and grab and go bags in the office when I checked out. Very close to Hoover Dam and that was our first planned stop. We had breakfast at The Coffee Shop down the street. It's one of those Diners, Drive Ins and Dives featured on TV. The breakfast was delicious.
"A good place to stop"
After going through the Vegas traffic nightmare, we were quite happy to find this hotel offered a quiet, roomy, comfortable place to rest our weary heads. Only downfall was no type of breakfast amenity. Went to the attached restaurant which did offer breakfast as it was mainly a bar.
"Pleasant stay"
Typical newer, larger Best Western so was as expected. No casinos in Boulder City! Large, quiet, comfortable rooms. Convenient location in downtown and near highway. No breakfast. Would stay again if the price was right.
"Not a great value"
We paid $149.00 for our room maybe because we booked the day of stay. I see their rooms can go for as low as $90.00/n. Our room/stay would have been a good value at that price but at our price it was a bad deal. The young man behind the front desk was less than friendly. No breakfast, which surprised me. Lastly, not very generous with bonus gifts. If you are an elite BW member I'd recommend you stay elsewhere. There are many alternatives in town.
"Large family gathering for funeral"
Clean, updated. Nice beds and bathrooms. Not a lot of in room frills but a great base for going out to enjoy the sights and local restaurants and activities. Historic downtown Boulder City is completely walkable from this location.
"good value"
close to downtown and many restaurants, clean and friendly, good value for a family, we did not use all the amenities but were happy they were there, would have liked a slightly larger conference room
"Convenient to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead"
Great place to stay if you're going to the Hoover Dam or Lake Mead. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and it's conveniently located - all for less than $100! We'd definitely recommend staying here.
"Lodging prior to Hoover Black Canyon Kayak Trip"
I had to meet my group at 6am at Willow Beach for a Hoover Dam drop off. This hotel is around 20 miles to Willow Beach. Quick friendly check in. Tidy comfortable rooms. Also a great value and has fridge microwave and coffee maker. Convenient to downtown Boulder City next to walkable shops and multiple RESTAURANTS. Definitely an option to consider in the area. Also right outside of Henderson so could make a good home base for Hoover and Vegas style action
"Nice location but not this pictured nice location."
This is a good hotel with smallish but contemporary decorated rooms. Not a big fan of doors facing the exterior but that must be a west of Mississippi thing. There are a couple of elevators but mostly stairs and third floor rooms at the end are a haul to wherever your are parked. No complaints but a caveat. This location is more of a downtown area than this photo-shopped picture would lead you to believe. Doesn't affect the amenity but my wife is a stickler for ambiance and wasn't' impressed. Just saying if you judge a book by its cover ..... this is not the same book as pictured to the left.
"Not secure"
The door to our room did not close easily. Even when I oushe dit shut, sometimes it would pop open. Also, couple of times we needed to get our room key rekeyed, and they didn't even ask for identification. Anyone could ask for any room to be rekeyed! We asked for a wake up call one morning and never received it. The restaurant at the hotel was execellent.
"Great overnight stay"
We stayed one night on our way from LasVegas Airport to Grand Canyon South Rim. Hotel was inexpensive and lovely. Newly renovated. Very clean. Room had hardwood floors and good quality beds as well Fridge and Microwave. Staff was very friendly and even printed directions for us for our next 2 destinations. Fresh free coffee and breakfast snack bags were provided in the morning. Down the road is a grocery store that opens at 5 am, as well as 7/11 and MacDonalds if you desire. Hotel had indoor pool but we did not use it. Would definitely recommend if you need an overnight stay in the area.
"It is a Motel"
Stayed 4/4/18 in Room #124. Room was clean and in good repair. bathroom also clean and water pressure very good. We were concerned about noise as there is no carpeting. But we heard no noise from outside or above us. Over-all a pleasant stay. Nice touch was the free bottled water from the office. No breakfast included. But then again the rate was very good for the room. There are a few close by restaurants to get breakfast. Only problem was mine and not the hotels. I left my wedding band on the desk. Called back the next day and a couple of days later, but it was not turned in. Again my fault but after 36 years of wearing it, I hated to lose it this way. This is a nice hotel with friendly staff and the Tap Room has good food and $1 draft beer the evening we were there. Would surely stay here again
"leisure trip"
This motel was a great place to stop and stay at. I was greeted as I walked in the door, checked in efficiently, and tanked for stay with them. The breakfast was enjoyable, the employee was attentive, kept the breakfast area full and clean. I would recommend staying here to anyone.,.
"EV Charging Available"
I stayed overnight on business. The room was an end until so maybe a bit larger than some(?). I liked the clean flooring instead of carpet. Room was remodeled, hotel is remodeled. Walls are thin and you can hear alot if voices and TV into the late night. Room was clean and comfortable with newer furniture. Coffee and fridge in room. There is a bar restaurant attached to hotel. Did not eat. Went across street. Indoor swimming pool was full of delighted kids. Free EV charging which puts this place at the top of my list now for business trips. Will stay again.
"Up on the hill"
The hotel room we stayed in was perfect for our family. 2 small children, under 9 and two adults. We only stayed one night and the children enjoyed being able to use the indoor pool and hot tub. The room was very clean and the renovation was well done.
"Short stay, but hope to come back"
We only stayed one night on our way from flying into Vegas late and heading to the Grand Canyon, but would definitely stay here longer if in the area. Check in was both quick and delightful with the clerk, and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Not too far outside the hubbub of the city. If you have a car and want to escape the town, look here first.
"overnight stay"
This is an excellent and very very clean Hotel. The staff were beyond excellent and extremely helpful......The Tap room restaurant and bar are great....the food super. This is the second time we have stayed there and will definitely do so again.
"Not in Vegas"
Boulder City is a clean compact, tidy little town outside Vegas. Unfortunately, the BW is not up to the level I have come to expect from a BW. There is no breakfast area, tho you can get a cup of oatmeal or a grab and go bag in the lobby. The pool while covered is across the parking lot from the rooms. All rooms are accessed from an outside walk and the surface is mimic'd stones so a rolling suitcases rattles along in front of your room. There is also no elevator for 2nd floor rooms. Rooms are on the small size with minimal room to move around in. On the plus side, the rooms were clean, the staff friendly and the price is less than properties with more amenities. The saving grace for travelers is the 'TAP' a micro-brew pub is on the property and serves good food and drinks. Good for a one night stay if you are traveling and only need a bed.
"Reliable"
Perfect room for catching up on sleep but not much more space than that...decor was dark and with a room on the first floor you had to close the blackout curtains so new arrivals weren't watching as they arrived. A bit pricey for what it is.
"Family trip"
Great place for families , especially the indoor pool , the kids loved it! Since it was a very cold weekend . If u don't like the Vegas strip noise and the RESORT fee they impose on the strip , this is the place to be , I didn't mind the 30 min drive :)
"Wonderful Stay"
My wife and I stayed one night at the Best Western Hoover Dam. The room was spacious and clean and the price was very reasonable. The hotel is located 10-15 minutes from the Hoover Dam and the Lake Meade Recreation area. The staff was very friendly.
"For those who don't like sleep"
Gosh.....rooms were nice, bathroom lovely, comfortable beds, but hard to sleep. I could hear every conversation, every footstep, every rolling suitcase outside my door. The hotel is more of a motel with rooms opening to the outside, so noise was a real issue, as was the cigarette smoke wafting into my room from the balcony. Breakfast was a grab and go bag of an apple, water and a granola bar. Not quite up to par with other Best Westerns. Desk Staff was awesome, but unfortunately their kind helpful attitudes and lovely smiles doesn't make up for the lack of sleep.

"Felt like a cheap Motel"
Even though we paid 140$ per room, it felt like we were staying at a cheap motel. Our rooms were on the third floor of a building without elevator, and he had to carry our heavy bags all the way up. Besides, all the rooms are right on top of each other, with paper thin walls. We could even hear our neighbors snoring, walking around and making tea at 6am! The bathrooms were poor as well, with barely tepid water and a very weak stream. We don't recommend it.
"Comfy and convenient to avoid the Vegas crowds en route to AZ"
All the usual comforts and amenities, plus great restaurant attached to hotel. CAn eat and have a beer or two and walk vack. BW bought an older hotel and did a complete makeover in and out. Heated pool. Nice set up for handicapped guests. Coffee in lobby. Courteous desk manager.. Aircon/heater in room 118 was noisy in early March '18. Maybe fixed by now.
"Stay at this new hotel! You'll be glad you did!"
Very clean and comfortable rooms. Try The Tap for a micro-beer, and a meal. Sometimes you can grab a P.B.R. for a buck. Anthony is easy-going and eager to engage in a conversation, as are the rest of the wait staff. It's also an easy walk to restaurants bars and antique stores.
"one night stay while traveling"
Very nice oasis out in the desert, no one was in the pool but it was great. Plenty of parking and room was clean. The lobby was very nice. I plan on staying there again on my next trip through. Having to write over 200 word in this review is a pain.
"Nice surprise...Would book again!"
We had been planning a trip to Las Vegas as 1st time attendees of CES convention which is a 170,000 strong industry only electronics show. All of Las Vegas was plus $500+ a night for the week so we found this hotel in Boulder City that was not price gouging. We could not believe rooms going for $100! A week before the convention we made some calls and the room was not booked right. We reached out to the GM Jeff and over a few emails he got the room style we needed! When we arived we checked in with in minutes and off to the room. It looks like the hotel has gone though a resent remodel so the office was nice places to sit, use wifi, computers if needed small area to buy snacks and drink etc. Room was nice and comfortable and lots of room. Staff was very helpful and most important friendly! They didn't have breakfast but did have a bag to go concept of fruit, energy bar and water which worked for us in a rush due to our shuttle came early so take us in to Las Vegas. Strange day of fog and massive rain so we had a 30 min shuttle ride and its about 30 miles. We got back to our hotel that night and it was really quite neighborhood. Seem safe and residential. The restaurant on property was open and nice place to unwind and have a drink and good menu. Our room was comfortable, great tv channel line up with Cox. Room had a mini frig and microwave, and indoor pool and work out room. If your someone that doesn't want the chaos of Las Vegas a short drive to Boulder City Best Western just might be great alternative!! Plus no ad on parking fees! Would book again! Indoor pool and
"Remodeled new rooms"
Comfortable room with pleasing color choices and hardwood floors. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Pleasant smelling soap and body products. Good quality fitness center and nice large indoor pool. Pleasant staff. Only disappointment this hotel does not provide breakfast.
"Traveling with dogs"
This newly remodeled hotel was in a great location and they accept large dogs which was a plus for us. The front desk staff was efficient and pleasant. The dog area was approximately a 10x10 ft gravel area. However, there is a nice park with poop bags available 1/2 block away. That part was great. However, the new flooring in all of the rooms is a hard surface, no carpet to deaden the noise. It was without a doubt the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. You could hear if someone coughed several rooms away and we could hear people talking and arguing all night. Additionally, although the rooms are non smoking, all rooms open to the outside which is nice when you have dogs, but people smoked directly outside their doors. We don't plan to stay there again which is unfortunate because the hotel has lots of positives.
"Needed a room for 1 night"
I live in Boulder City not har from this hotel. Last night when I got home, the lock on my front door was jammed and wouldn't work. After messing with it for about an hour, I decided to just get a room for the night and deal with the lock in the morning. The check-in was quick and easy and the desk clerk was friendly, polite, and professional. I got a room in the 2nd floor with two beds and settled in. The room was nicely appointed, with a flat screen tv, wood flooring, and 2 comfortable beds. Included is a microwave, a nicely tiled tub/shower area and a small desk. Very nice. The room was spotless and well-supplied. Nice!
"First Stop on Twelve Day Road Trip"
The BW Boulder Dam was the first stop on our 12 day road trip. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly and eager to help. Our room was clean, the bed was comfy with lots of pillows to choose from. The dispensers with shampoo and other toiletries were filled, convenient and in good working order. The shower was good with lots of hot water. It was an easy drive from the Las Vegas airport, as well as to the strip and also the Hoover Dam. We knew when we reserved that breakfast was not included, but there are plenty of great options in Boulder City that made up for this. We are Best Western diamond members, and this was one of the better hotels we've used in this chain. I'd love to visit the area again, and if we do, this will be our first choice for lodging.
"Great place to stay"
We found this was a nice olace to stay if you don't want to be a n Vegas but still close to all the attractions. It's very easy to get to Hoover Dam the South Outlet Mall and the airport from here. The best part of the stay here was the staff. They were friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice. And the area at night was pretty, with restaurants in walking distance.
"Convenient good stay"
Good location for Hoover dam, friendly staff, good rooms, no breakfast but grab bag is a good idea. Restaurants nearby, hotel restaurant small but very good food and beer. Easy parking, rooms clean, good value.
"Hope You Aren't a Light Sleeper!"
The room was clean with "modern" décor. No carpet, but nice tile. Shampoo and conditioner was in the shower. But our room on the second floor was near the stairwell and elevator. All rooms had an outside walkway, and were not enclosed. In retrospect, it wasn't even the noise of people clumping up and down stairs, and talking loudly outside. The problem was the concrete walkways were designed to look like cobblestone pavers, with lots of texture. So all of the rolling suitcases and housekeeping carts going buy sounded like a freight train: rumble, rumble, rumble.

"Very Clean Nice Rooms"
The room was very nice and the beds were comfortable too. The bathroom has Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash in the bathtub/shower pump containers. On the wall by the sink there is a lotion pump container. It was nice to have the things you would use in the bathroom right there..

"Good value and location"
We enjoyed our recent stay at the Best Western Hoover Dam. A room with two queen beds was snug but ultimately quite comfortable for our family of four. The accommodations are nothing fancy but clean and offer extras such as a coffee maker, refrigerator, and reliable free WiFi. Given the price, this was a great value. The location is also quite good - right in the center of Boulder City with all the services one would expect (e.g. supermarket, banks, restaurants) within walking distance. At the same time it's just a few minutes drive to Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. I also give the hotel points for having a small but well equipped fitness room - likewise clean and in good repair. There is also an indoor swimming pool but we didn't use it so can't comment further. The two downsides worth mentioning are: rather thin walls and thus potential for noise from neighbors, and the occasionally slightly worn furnishings. To end on an up note, though, all staff members were very helpful and welcoming.
"Great stay away from the city"
Although we were visiting family in Henderson and Las Vegas, we chose to stay in Boulder City and experience the charm it has to offer. The town was a pleasant contrast to the city. The room price was better than anything I could find closer in to town, so it was a win-win. I love Boulder City.

"Great Stay!"
We have been on the road for 12 days and this is the best property we've stayed at. We have a large dog so we've been staying at Best Westerns when possible because they allow pets and we know what to expect. This property however, was our favorite. Clean and spacious room, fridge and microwave (not necessities but nice to have) a pool / hot tub, nice fitness facility, ample parking and a restaurant, Tap, on property (the food was great!). Also, Daniel, who checked us in was very kind and helpful, a great way to start our stay! The property is a quick walk to the historic downtown area with lots of cute shops and places to eat. There is a park next to the hotel that was perfect for walking our dog around. Boulder City is a great little town that we enjoyed exploring. I would highly recommend staying here!!
"Ok for a stop over"
Satisfied with the room, checkin and check out process. Internet speed is poor quality. Location is right on main street which makes location hotel easy. Low quality soap, shampoo and connditioner. Overal an ok stay.
"Clean and well maintained."
We stayed for 3 days. Rooms were very clean. They've really did a nice remodel on this property. And it's close to Vegas, if that's what you want. We enjoyed walking downtown Boulder City and eating at the local restaurants. We'll be back. Food was very good!
"A few problems"
There were a few problems. Coffee maker was not plugged in and required them to move the fridge to do so. The coffee was all decaf. The closet was tiny. No free breakfast. Staff was responsive and friendly, but too many little problems.
"It's a Best Western"
It's a Best Western. You know what to expect for you and your family and this property does everything it can to live up to your expectations. Very good value. A much needed faciity in that area, and an choice you can't go wrong.
"room and staff"
Our stay was excellent room was very clean and appearance were great It was xmas eve and day and the staff was so pleasant Would definitely recommend to others and Would come back again for should. Price was great
"Nice clean hotel BUT...."
Beautiful super clean rooms. Hard to recommend however because the walls are paper thin. I had a hard time sleeping, and I NEVER have a hard time sleeping. Seriously, we could hear EVERYTHING from kids coughing to people talking to weights hitting the floor in the gym below us. Also, no hot breakfast.
"Much needed improvement for Boulder City"
This hotel was nicely remodeled in 2017, and is now a 3.5-to-4-star modern hotel in the heart of the city. Small but good restaurant and brew pub attached to premises, and only a few blocks to 2 additional pubs, shops, and many more restaurants. Indoor heated pool with spa & separate workout room. Boulder City is a quiet, non-gaming old-time tourist town, but only 15-30 minutes from all the gaming you need (or don't need).
"Amazing Best Western Experience"
From check in to check out, we had an awesome experience. The beds were very comfortable and the WiFi was high speed! Parking right outside our door, pet park was very close to our room and their pool was heated! Overall, great experience!
"A nice hotel in a nice city."
This property has recently reopened after a multi-year major renovation. With the reopening it is now a Best Western. It is conveniently located in downtown Boulder City and within walking distance of a number of restaurants, etc. It is also convenient to the highway to Boulder Dam and to Las Vegas. Bring your slippers as the refurbished rooms have wood-style floors without carpets.
"Boulder City"
Unfortunately in our situation we could not find a pet sitter, and to our surprise BestWestern allowed us to bring the furry ones along. We were skeptical at first but we had a great experience. Thank you!
"A Great Stay"
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were and how clean. The rooms had a coffee pot, small refrigerator, internet and were a very nice size. With a good size sitting area and nicely appointed. There was a pool indoors. The restaurant and bar was clean and really they know how to cook. We will be going back some time in Jan. and we are looking forward to it.
"Wonderful Stay, Fantastic Front Desk Staff"
Very friendly and helpful front desk personnel. Room was comfortable, nice bedding and towels. Convenient location, close to center area of town. Parking is right in front of your room and can be noisy, especially on the ground floor, with other guests talking. There is a restaurant and bar associated with the hotel however, did not use it. The room has a refrigerator which we always use when we travel. Didn't mind staying here at all.

"Best in Town"
This hotel was awesome and the town was great. Very large room for a very decent price. The restaurant, The Tap, was excellent and right at the hotel. We were close to walking the town and easy to get to our zip line experience from the hotel.

"Great Place to Stay"
The place was very clean. It was basic room size, but also had a fridge and a microwave. We didn't use the pool, but saw other people enjoying it. The check-in was very easy and we didn't even have to check-out.
"GREAT stay and value!"
What a great value. Clean, quiet and up to date. Minus a few smokers in the parking lot, our stay was excellent. Great gym, pool, service and again, the overall stay was very nice and great deal! I highly recommend this hotel!
"Great Place to Stay"
Very friendly place to stay. Staff are very helpful. Rooms are newly redecorated and very tasteful. The Hotel is located close to down town and close to a lot of dinning places. It also provides an easy drive to Lake Meade and also to Hover Dam
"very nice place to stay"
i recomand this place it was beautifiul the best experince in a long time i give it A +++ you will like it the room was clean it smills nice the staff was wonderfull very nice upgraded rooms and helpfull staff
"Ants"
The room I was given was infested with ants. I reported the problem and was told the manager wouldn't be in until the next day. I was given another room and the person at the desk said she couldn't believe there were ants and would let the manager know. I never received a follow up which I thought was ridiculous.

"Nice Property Like the Split Rates"
I liked how the property had a breakfast rate and non-breakfast rate where you can actually save a little. Property is located in a nice clean neighborhood where you are within walking distance of the downtown area. Also you are not too far off from Hoover Dam which is what you are there to see unless you are just passing through. Don't know about all the other negative reviews. Walked into a nice clean room with decent amenities and that is all I'm pretty much looking for. My wife cares about quality so we are pretty much either a Best Western or Choice Hotel fans or Holiday Inn Express fans. Just depends on your budget but from a solo perspective, I can just as easy stay at a Motel 6 in some parts of the country. You go with what you know. Safe travels to everyone and a Happy Holidays to everyone.
"nice stay"
great place great price will stay again if in area easy access and lots of parking and clean rooms and only issue was it did not have a hair dryer in the room all good we carry one if you are tired and need a good sleep stop in and enjoy
"Great place to stay"
Close to Vegas without the traffic. Easy access to Hoover Dam. Great rooms at a good price. No breakfast but the The Tap restaurant was very good but not if you are on a family budget. Other places are close by.
"We'll stay here from now on!"
When visiting our daughter and granddaughters or even Vegas, we will stay here. Great value. Beautiful room. Quiet, comfortable, clean, convenient to mid town Boulder City. Easy parking. Wonderful pool and gym area.
"Good location"
Great location on a Saturday night when Vegas is expensive and crowded . We needed a place after a 10 hour drive and the room was easy to get to and clean. We got up and went shopping in the unique shops next door.
"Great Stay close to Hoover Dam"
This is a Great Hotel and Great Value for the money.... Very Clean and very friendly staff.... Hotel is located just minutes from the Hoover Dam, and about a 20 minute car ride to the Las Vegas strip.....
"Sufficient For Needs"
Stayed at location during an athletic event at Lake Las Vegas. Price was right. Fine for a night or two stay. Friendly staff, newly refurbished rooms, and far enough away from the busier roads to be quiet.
"Paper thin walls"
The main purpose of being in a hotel room is sleeping and for me, the room needs to be quiet. This was not the case (in room 216) where the walls were the thinnest I have had to put up with. To explain just how thin, when the guy got into bed in the room 217, the wall flexed onto my side of the bed head. At least this couple were happy, as opposed to the couple in 215 who had an argument at 3.30AM and with whom I now share intimate knowledge about their relationship. I would have given 1 star but the rest of the hotel is perfectly good. Nice staff, clean room, good location etc. Shame about the walls, shower curtains would do a similar job.
"Great stay!"
Clean and comfortable! No carpet - which seemed a cleaner way of doing things, but bring some slippers. Ask for a room furthest from the bar/restaurant. Great hotel. The art is charming old pics of Hoover Dam construction - nice. Coffee in the room, and a Starbucks just down the street. Excellent breakfast across the street too.
"Great stay"
Clean and updated. Great service. The Tap restaurant attached was a good place for drinks and snacks. Close to Vegas and Hoover dam. Would recommend staying here over anywhere else we stayed on the strip.
"Vegas - Hover Dam trip"
Best hotel for Hover Dam trip. The hotel is 30mins from Vegas but very close to Lake Mead and Hover Dam. Very spacious room, beautiful bathroom with great shampoo, condition and shower gel. The indoor hot tube with free cool water and hot tube make our trip perfect. We went to Lake Mead and Hover Dam during the day and relax in the hot tube when come back to the hotel. Breakfast is free, basic and could be improved with egg and sauces.
"Worst stay "
I love best western but this one was terrible parking is horrible the tap restaurant I ate at was terrible and the front desk agents were terrible except for a woman named Stephanie she was very very nice helpful and explained everything I needed to know but the next day the other agent Daniel was completely rude and offered no help or assistance I found stuff under the beds the noise is absolutely ridiculous worse stay ever that Daniel needs to get his attitude together because if you hire agents like him then I don't see how you are still in buisness

"Pleasant stay"
Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms. New laminate floors felt much cleaner than carpet found in most hotels. In town and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Pet friendly but the dog walk area was minimal. There is a bar/restaurant attached to the hotel which had patio seating as well as indoor. I did not spend time there but it was pretty busy so must be pretty good.

"Great value"
We stayed overnight in Boulder City after Flying into Las Vegas late in the evening. The drive to the hotel was quick and easy and the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We would definitely stop here again. The only disappointment was that there was no included breakfast but the value of the room made up for it.

"Beautiful hotel near Hoover Dam"
High end, modern hotel feeling not always seen in chain hotels. Art in room includes photos of Hoover Dam, a nice local touch. This would be a great jumping off point for all types of desert or lake activities, plus only a four hour drive to the Grand Canyon. Staff was great!
"Great Hotel"
We were very impressed with the size of the room and the lack of carpet in the room. I hate dirty carpets. The only problem was that it did not have the HOT breakfast. It is always something that we look for in a hotel.
"Love The Boulder City Best Western"
I loved my stay here it was great I would recommend it to everyone. The staff were great the room was great and the location was great. Also, having a laundry and workout are were used by me and they were great.
"Good"
Good hotel. Nicely located. Walking distance to many cool bars and restaurants. I was in love with the city itself and wish could stay there longer. Hotel was simple but good. Nice staff. Perfect for a short stay in the city.
"Great Place At A Great Price"
Quiet, comfortable, economical, everything was as it should be. Stephanie and Oliver were great. Great restaurant across the street. That is pretty concise, but the reality is that this place is perfect in terms of heading east or coming back to Vegas but not wanting to go into town in the evening.
"There is almost nothing negative to say about this place..."
Seriously, great place. From the wonderful check in..wonderful modern remodeled room on the top floor which had a wonderful wood floor (why don't hotels do this more.. so much cleaner and easier to upkeep and hygienic if kept up). Wonderful welcome bag was given at the check in as a BW member, made me feel so welcome. The breakfast snack, wasn't as impressive but a nice gesture and there are plenty of places to get wonderful breakfasts nearby truly a unique area and great town. The room had everything you could need and was super nice. Best sleep on a week long trip.. very comfy bedding.
"Passing through Boulder City, NV"
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, price very good. Because they had a restaurant on site, there was no free full breakfast. We did receive an apple, a granola bar and some water. They also had free coffee and tea. The fitness room was very nice. I noticed a lot of people enjoyed the indoor pool. Their are a lot of cute little shops in the area.
"REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE"
After a long day on the road, I stayed at a room on the ground floor. The people directly above me sounded like a herd of elephants stomping around until late that night! I could also hear them talking, as they weren't making any attempts to be quiet. I was too exhausted to complain and try to move to another room. Please be aware that the floors in the rooms aren't carpeted and apparently, there isn't any insulation to keep down the noise level. This was the worst experience I've had at a Best Western.
"Bypass Vegas and stay here"
If you are heading south this is a way better town option than Henderson or Vegas. The Best Western Hoover Dam is easy to find, doggy friendly and has a great little restaurant/pub right beside it. Boulder City makes me think a bit of Route 66 even though it isn't on it. Hotel itself seems like it was recently refinished but we liked it. Only issue was some very loud half drunk guys outside our door for about an hour after we came back from the restaurant but that wasn't the hotel's fault.
"Exceptionally nice room!"
The layout of the room was different than any we have stayed at, and really liked it. Also liked the vinyl flooring, which is much better than carpet that getts grimy and makes your feet black! Was a bit disappointed that there was no free continental breakfast at this hotel.
"50th class reunion"
Came to town to attend 50th Class reunion. Very helpful front desk staff when television remote would not work... Very clean rooms, pleasant staff. The highlight of my stay was the first morning there. About 20 members of the class converged on the dining room unannounced or prescheduled. The wait staff went OVER and ABOVE to keep us in coffee and bring our breakfast in a timely manner (kudos to the kitchen staff as well!!). We stayed in the room for over 2 1/2 hours -- never a complaint or slow service even though we were keeping them from turning over the tables. Great experience. Thank you!
"Quiet Motel"
Off the beaten Las Vegas path. Quiet and easy access to the Motel property. There was a couple restaurants within walking distance of the Motel. There was no continental breakfast but a breakfast voucher was given that could be used at a restaurant next to the Motel. There was parking for cars and trucks that have trailers.
"Great Hotel!!!!"
The Tap restaurant is a must if you like great food and Beer. Worth the money for dinner and Breakfast. Rooms are clean and they allowed our dog for only $20 per night. Boat parking that is lit and has cameras on it.

"Newly renovated"
Hotel was comfortable. Staff helpful & friendly. It's always refreshing when a hotel offers a place to sit other than the bed & an office chair. Roomy and comfortable. Plenty of parking & easy walk to Boulder City restaurants.

"Best Hotel In Area"
This is an old hotel that Best Western recently renovated. My room was located on the third floor which I thought might be a problem because I have a dog and would need to go on potty runs. There are stairs and an elevator. It worked out fine. The bed was very comfortable, clean and fresh. Excellent choice replacing the flooring with linoleum instead of carpet. The employees were friendly and helpful.

"BW Boulder, AZ"
Great property. Recently rebuilt. Awesome service and amenities. They have a restaurant on property, so no free breakfast. Staff was helpfull and i did not have any problems. I will return in the future.
"Tourist location"
The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a perfect location to both Hoover Dam and Las Vegas if you are not a big gambler. Recent remodel makes for a great stay. Very easy walk to many nice shops and restaurants.
"Great hotel"
Nice, newer hotel with close access to restaurants. Bathroom is beautiful with lots of towels. Also a small fridge, microwave and coffee pot (VERY IMPORTANT). Beds are comfortable and wifi is free. Indoor pool and hot tub.
"Awesome"
Was an overall amazing stay great staff great bar the martinis were delicious and the pool was awesome for the kids . Would definitely return in the near future and would suggest this place to anyone who comes through.
"Great Value for the Price and Location"
The owners have redone this Best Western to a very high standard. It was extremely clean and the staff was warm and friendly. However, the on line reservationist (not local) was rather rude and not very informative. Our only complaint was that our room had a King bed (our request) was it was squeezed into a small area with almost no room on the right side of the bed. So, I would recommend that you look at the room before you agree to stay there. Everything else was amazing!
"Value for money"
The rooms are spacious and very clean. There is a desk & chair, and a coffee making machine in the room as well as a micro wave and fridge. For only $69 USD for a double queen what a bargain! They offer free coffee, tea and bottled water all day long in the reception. The indoor swimming pool looks good and the gym very clean, a little small but great for a quick work out. I was shocked at the cleanliness of Boulder City. Take a right out of the hotel and you come across a lot of lovely statues placed on the pathway & cafe's, antique shops etc.... to the left there is also a few Diners etc. great place to stop.
"Best"
Every time we have stayed a Best Western we've have always had clean rooms and excellent service. I love that BW is pet friendly. Thank You. Thank You.Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.Thank You. Thank You Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You
"The perfect place!"
This hotel was one of the best we've ever stayed in. The location is perfect and we had such a good stay. The only thing we could pick at were the beds were a bit too hard. But overall this place is a GEM!! And the people are so nice and accommodating!! We definitely have found our hotel for Las Vegas without ever going!!

"Profiling and Discrimination"
Will charge you $200 for just being a smoker in general even if your room has no odor of smoke at all. Management will not let you know that you are speaking with management until you actually request to speak with a manager, and then at that point they will say they are the manager even though they never mention it once during your five minute complaint on the phone. Make accusations and will tell you to take any legal action necessary to receive your money back unless you ask to speak with that general managers boss. Staff is unfriendly and though room is nice you can expect one of the worst experiences ever if you smoke cigarettes!
"Best stay on our trip"
Super clean rooms, great beds and pillows. Easy parking if you have a trailer or moving truck. They were super accommodating with our room preference. On our whole trip this was the nicest place we stayed at for the cheapest price!!
"Family Vacation"
I'm one of those people that looks at hotel reviews before I book. I looked at tons of hotels and this one was just had so many good reviews that I had to book! The hotel has just been remodeled and is super clean! Rooms look very nice especially because there's no carpet!! Bathrooms are very nice and tubs are big and spacious and the beds are super comfy!! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I wish they had is a nice hot breakfast, but regardless I would stay here again!! Thanks for an amazing stay!!
"Noisy neighbor"
This is a clean, comfortable place to stay but the walls are thin and we could hear our joining neighbor and the complete conversation. We had to play music to drowned out the noise. Which took us still a good hour to fall asleep. We learned all about his trip to Las Vegas and knew each of his children by name by the end of the hour long conversation. The Grab and Go breakfast is ok, but nothing to brag about! A hot meal would have been preferable to the cold granola bar and apple. Guess it would be a good option if you needed to but they could still offer a warm breakfast.
"Nice hotel...good value!"
Our room was a pleasant surprise considering the reasonable price. On the small side, but not a big deal if you're not spending a lot of time in the room. Convenient parking, a nice little bar/restaurant adjacent to the property, and a great diner across the street for breakfast. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

"Great value"
Great value clean and super nice staff. Would return if in the area. Sidewalk a little noise while guess pulled luggage down the side walk. Manager was great and offer free bee. Free bottle water. Super clean place and nice location.

"Convenient Quiet Stay"
Nice alternative to busy Las Vegas area. Easy access to restaurants and Hoover Dam. Also several interesting museums within a short drive. Great scenery and quaint town. Good price for room, close to stores and a few casinos very close by.

"THE place to stay in BC"
My wife and I had planned a date night and in an attempt to surprise her, I was trying to find a place to crash for the night so as not to have to make the drive home after having a few drinks. It was to be a big surprise for her. I had packed a change of clothes for her, gathered all of her make up, like literally, ALL of it. I have no idea what she actually needs, so I grabbed it all. We were supposed to meet after we both got off work, so she was just thinking we'd be headed home for the evening. I was excited to have planned something fun for her. But alas, it seemed everyplace was either sold out or a little overpriced for just a single night. This includes the Best Western Hoover Dam. The website gave a resounding "No rooms available for your dates" message. But, our date night included dinner and drinks at the restaurant on property, The Tap (check out my review of them too), I was hoping to be able to make it a one stop date, so I decided to call the location itself. I'm so glad I did. Jeff answered the phone and was absolutely phenomenal. At first it seemed I was out of luck, but he wouldn't just take the computers word for it. He dug a little deeper and found that they did in fact have a room available. I gave him the rundown of what I had planned and he was genuinely excited that he had the ability to be able to help me out. We had a wonderful conversation. Needless to say, my wife was very excited when we got to The Tap, and I took her to check in at the hotel. Checking in was quick and easy. The lobby is very nice and well laid out. They have "Go Bags" each morning with a water and a light snack for their guests. A really nice touch. My wife said it was just right to get her moving in the morning as she had to attend a meeting straight away. I forget the lady's name who checked us in, but she was absolutely wonderful. The entire hotel has just completed a remodel. The rooms are awesome. Hardwood and tile floors. Flatscreen tv's. Full sized mini fridge, a microwave, AND single serve coffee maker. We had a double queen room. It was vey clean. The AC works great and the light canceling drapes are perfect. The mattress slept very well. There wasn't an extra blanket in the closet, but since we weren't using the other bed, we took one from it. Each bed had four pillows. The clock has an accessory cord attached to it that plugs into your phone. I didn't see any USB plugs, but all of the lamps have electrical plugs so finding places for the phones and iPads was no issue. The is an enclosed pool and jacuzzi on property, and it looks really nice. We may take a dip next time we stay. We had a very good visit and I have found my "spot" when we decide to stay the night in BC in the future. Stay here, you won't be sorry you did. Jeff and Co., you guys are awesome. Keep doing what you're doing.

"Fantastic"
We have been on the road for 6 months and stayed at a number of hotels. This was by far the best hotel experience we have had, extremely friendly staff, rooms were very nice and new, and walking distance to many restaurants in Boulder City. If you want the best hotel away from the hustle of the strip this is it. Still only 25minutes to the casinos. Much more expensive hotels don't come close to this.

"No Smoke - What a Relief !"
We couldn't believe how difficult it is to find a decent, reasonably priced, non-casino hotel anywhere within 30 miles of Las Vegas. We'd just spent a day touring the west rim of the Grand Canyon and refused to spend the night at a smoke filled casino. Unfortunately the vast majority of medium priced, regular hotels in the area have less than stellar reviews on travel websites. Hubby and I were surprised to find a good last minute rate on this hotel, with its very good reviews. Best Western didn't let us down. The buildings and grounds are beautifully maintained, and the hotel is nicely tucked away a few blocks from semi-truck noise of Hwy 93. The location is less than 10 miles from Hoover Dam and Lake Meade Recreation Area. We had a quiet room in the back on the first floor, with parking a few feet from the room. All rooms face outside like a motel, but there is an elevator for rooms on the second and third floors. Our double queen was spacious and very nicely decorated, and I really liked the wood floor compared to dirty carpeting in most hotels. Fixtures and furniture all looked new, and everything was spotless clean. The room was well furnished, with a desk and chair, dresser, night stand, microwave and mini-refridge, plenty of lamps and mirrors. We liked the wall mounted flat screen, which freed up space on the dresser for personal items. And we liked the separate nook for the kitchen appliances. Amenities were typical - iron and board, luggage rack, hair dryer, coffee maker, desk phone, radio alarm, ice bucket. The bathroom had a full size tub and tons of counter space for personal care products. Toiletries provided were above average, including a shower cap and mending kit. We really liked the shower wall dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I seriously dislike all the plastic waste of single use toiletry bottles, and wasted single use bar soaps. Towel were thick and plentiful, and there was lots of hot water. The wi-fi worked well, and electrical outlets were adequate for charging electronics. The bed and pillows were very comfy, and blackout curtains facilitated late sleeping. Breakfast wasn't included - irrelevant because we don't eat the overly processed complimentary breakfast foods served at hotel breakfasts rooms. We were surprised though that Best Western provides complimentary "grab and go" bags, which contain a fresh apple, a granola bar, and a bottle of water. That's our kind of breakfast. The restaurant on site serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The lobby has a small business center with two computers for guest use. The front desk staff was wonderful, both at check-in and check out. The only negative was no evidence of a water-saving 'green' policy. Most hotels now ask guests to help conserve water by reusing towels, changing sheets every third day, etc. I didn't see that at Best Western Hoover Dam.
"Jerry"
Staff and location was very good. Our room however was neglected and not cleaned Friday morning. No towels, coffee, beds not mad, etc. When we notified the front desk they immediately took action to remedy the situation. They took $20.00 off our bill .

"The Tap Restaurant at Best Western"
Best Western recently acquired this property out of bankruptcy in Boulder City. As Boulder City locals, my friend and I went to have a lunch at their new restaurant, The Tap, and ate on the patio which was refreshingly tolerable due to the efforts of an excellent misting system. Their cocktails were a bit on the high side, but strong enough to suit us. My friend enjoyed a beef dip with French fries; she raved about the fries and when I stole one, I had to concur. I was delighted to see Crab Louie on the menu (not something Southern Nevada is known for). Unfortunately, the crab was all finely shredded and the Louie dressing wasn't traditional. The salad was fresh and included fresh asparagus. I would not order it again, but it is a matter of taste, so who knows. The service was attentive, if, perhaps, somewhat doting. I would absolutely return and try other items on the menu. The pricing overall is reasonable.

"GREAT STAY, CLEAN ROOMS, NICE STAFF, PERFECT PRICE!"
For around $100 this place was awesome to stay at! The woman that checked us in was extremely helpful and nice. The rooms were very clean and the area around the hotel seemed safe. There is a nice lounge restaurant when you first pull in-this is nice if you want to get out of your room but not have to drive anywhere. The rooms were extremely modern and updated.

"New renovated and clean hotel"
We stayed at this hotel during the labor day weekend. This is a newly renovated Best Western franchise hotel. Lobby is very clean and smells great. Free coffee , tea and bottled water in lobby. We were greeted with a friendly smile , warm welcome , and excellent customer service by Angie P. at the front desk. We enjoyed our clean and renovated room. Great value for the money! Will surely stay at this Best Western hotel again. The hotel is about 30 mins to Las Vegas strip and about 3 hours and 45 mins to Flagstaff Arizona.

Well appointed, recently renovated and landscaped hotel. Close to several restaurants, Evan's Grill was fantastic which was recommended to us by the hotel check in person. Rooms are large with ample room for our dogs and crates. Yes, a pet friendly hotel at that! Thank you!

Clean room and outside environment. nice swim-pool, accessible to Starbucks and other restaurants. Close to hover dam. twenty-five minutes to strip. good spot if you are making vegas and grand canyon.
"Clean hotel"
We booked two rooms in this hotel. We were there to see the hoover dam, took us 15 mins to get there in the morning so its a great place to stay if you want to see the dam. The rooms were really clean. Great amenities. Will stay again if I am in the area.

"Accommodating staff, Newly renovated, Great price. "
Stayed two nights for a family reunion. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to put together 3 rooms near each other at a time when the hotel was full. The entire hotel has been newly redone and was very comfortable. The only drawbacks were that since this is an older hotel the rooms are a little small. They aren't cramped, but not as big as newer hotels. Also, they are a little noisy. Nothing major, but we could definitely hear people walking/running overhead. I would gladly stay here again.

"great location & wonderful staff in Boulder City"
great place to spend the night before heading to Hoover Dam & the Grand Canyon. My husband especially enjoyed the indoor pool after our flight & drive from Las Vegas. The staff was so nice & accommodating. Despite the pool closing shortly before we checked in, they allowed us to enjoy the pool that evening because of my husbands painful arthritis. The town of Boulder City is cute & just a 7 mile drive to Hoover Dam.

"BEST WESTERN-HOOVER DAM"
The bathroom is so small you cannot close the door unless you stand nearly behind the commode. We were in a handicapped room (stall shower) and this was totally unacceptable. The door should swing out rather than into the bathroom. This would alleviate one problem. I do not know why the bathrooms in all the Best Westerns we stayed in are so small. Seems their architect/designer would be more accommodating for handicapped people..

"Great hotel close to Hoover Dam & Las Vegas."
On a recent road trip, the Best Western Hoover Dam hotel was a great stay, very close to Hoover Dam & not far from Las Vegas. Great aircon in the 110/41 degree heat in July, a really large room, nice King bed, indoor pool on the property, dining option also on the property & supermarket & restaurants close by.

"Remodeled hotel close to the Hoover Dam"
The room was spacious and clean, only thing was no free breakfast offered, there was a restaurant/bar at the hotel but we did not try it. We stayed there for a few days to see Lake Mead/ Hoover Dam and did not want to drive through Las Vegas we liked the proximity of the hotel, it was also with in walking distance to historic Boulder City.
"Nice getaway from the city"
The staff is great. Chris made my trip great from the time I called her. She knew everything about everything. She allowed me to use there computer lab which is free to use for all guest and is setup professionally. Jeff was great too. I've never seen someone active in every aspects of the hotel from guest, to front desk and the maintenance. This place is lovely and worth the drive. Initially, when we were driving to the location it was a 45 minutes drive from the city. You can see more and more land and less casinos. However, we never knew that would make us love this place even more. We came to Vegas to shop and eat not gamble. The rooms are spacious. While in the city we stayed in a timeshare; The room was so small and no housekeeper, no elevator or even coffee at the counter. Best Western Hoover dam is cooler heat wise than the city too, At night everyone is safety tucked, but the police is always out ensuring this city stays peaceful. Staff, Spacious rooms, Pool is beautiful and Gym is amazing with TVs in front of every machine. here is a restaurant on site, Diner, across the street, CVS, McDonalds, Taco bell, Jack in the box, Pizza Hut and Burger king in the area.
"Great Trip"
This was a hidden gem and we enjoyed it. The staff was great, the room was cozy, and the fitness center was the best. The amenities were updated and we were accessible to the highway. I will recommend the Best Western to my friends

"Very nice, updated hotel!"
We stayed here one night while traveling back to Vegas and got a great rate. We usually try to stay at Best Western Hotels and this one had nicer, more updated rooms than most we have experienced. There is a great bar attached to the hotel and I highly recommend the Southwest Cafe, across the street, for breakfast. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful with local info and the lobby even had a book out detailing hiking and mountain biking in the region. One other rare amenity was a nicer than usual fitness center. It was bigger than most, with newer equipment including free weights and a pull up bar. The only downside is that there is no free breakfast like at most Best Westerns. They do have "Grab-and-Go" bags with an apple, granola bar and a bottle of water. You can grab as many as you need for your family, etc. All in all, we would absolutely stay here again.

"Hotel clean and neat, refurbished room. Excellent for the price. Big property. Many families. Close to Dam"
I picked this instead of the Hoover Dam Lodge. I was glad i did. The room was clean, neat, quiet, had a fridge and micro, and they have coffee in the a.m. in the office. A diner across the street to walk to that was fantastic and good price. We sat outside too. The only negative thing was that the town closed by 10:00 pm. and we couldnt get anything to eat. The Lodge is just around the corner, and isolated with nothing near. It looks nice, and has a big casino, but we liked our Best Western Name and it was perfect. Husband did the weight room in the morning, pool was in a building by itself along the parking lot. I think dogs are OK too. Very easy and enjoyable.
"Very nice hotel"
I would recommend this hotel, however, guests should know that like most Best Westerns, they do NOT include breakfast. Also, if you are using a GPS to navigate to the hotel, it is a problem. When we called the hotel, they did confirm that, and helped us find it. Beautiful room and nice pool
"Clean, neat, newly remodeled, very comfortable"
Everything was clean and new. Air conditioner worked great at 107 degrees outside. Fitness room for hubby was just right he said. Workers were friendly and professional. Place was big but quiet. Convenient location for diner across street for breakfast, and to the Dam...just around the corner.
"Nicest of all the other hotels around..."
I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was nice and cool, the beds comfy; there was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom was nicely renovated with lots and lots of towels. There were dispensers of shampoo/conditioner and lotion to prevent waste. The staff is super nice and friendly. The lobby has some amenities like free cold water, apples and free coffee, and you can buy snacks and basic items you might have forgotten. The pool was indoor and not appealing to me. I did take a chair outside and sat in the parking lot for a couple of hours. The hotel did not give me the best rate, I was able to lower the rate they gave me by coming on this Trip Advisor website and saved $30 on my 2 nights stay. When I added a third night, they matched the lower price. There is no restaurant or continental breakfast; either walk to the diner across the street or make your own in your room.

"Better than expected.."
This hotel has recently been remodeled to great success! The staff were awesome, esp. Jeff the general manager. The new restaurant is also awesome! I think I will be going back to the restaurant even if I don't have business activities near the hotel.
"Recently renovated new to the Best Western group"
Nice decor very clean comfortable furnishings. Good size refrigerator for travelers. Easy access to highway.AC is an issue in extreme heat. restaurant and bar on site and convenient to other local restaurants. Good value but no breakfast included.
"Excellent property with amazing prices"
Conveniently located in the center of town, the hotel is very comfortable and the price for your stay is so very good. Rooms are clean, beds great, bathrooms new and appointed with excellent amenities. Plenty of parking. An indoor pool and hot tub are provided but when the temperature is hovering around 105 not sure you're looking for a heated environment!!

Loved the new look and cleanliness. Appreciated no carpeting on the floor and the shampoo, conditioner, soap dispensers rather than all the little bottles and small soaps. The total fresh look was appealing.

"Nice Hotel"
The hotel was recently renovated. The property was clean, quiet, staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was on the first floor, was clean, nice and roomy. We thought the price was affordable and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The only issue we had was the noisy person walking around above us on the second floor.

"OVERRATED... False promises, uncaring staff"
Driving west from Austin with 3 other family members. I made a reservation here based on the glowing reviews. Having teens of the opposite sex that can't share a bed I requested a roll away. The central reservationist told me it would be an addition $10 and that she couldn't guarantee it. I then told her we would just book another room since we all needed beds after a 13 hour drive. The agent then told me it wasn't necessary, that although it it was not technically guaranteed, that she would note the reservation, and the hotel staff would borrow one from another property if necessary. Upon check in (11:30pm 99 degrees out) the young man said we didn't have a reservation. After providing the confirmation number, he found it. When I requested they make sure we had bedding for the roll away, he told me they didn't have roll always! I recounted my conversation with the reservationist, he then said they had them, but it was extra. I told him I was aware of the cost. Then the other counter person (who had been answering phones through all this, repeatedly telling callers the whole town was booked) said she had already given them away for the night. I was pretty hot at this point (it takes a lot to get me there) I asked him what was I to do with my extra person, he smirked and asked me if I wanted to cancel my room (knowing we had no other option)! I asked for multiple blankets, since we had to put someone on the floor. The room was hot, so we turned on the AC. We start setting up the room waiting for the cool to kick in, it never did...only hot air. They gave us another room, we had to set up all over. Bottom line: They put lipstick on a pig. Best Western Hoover Dam = a miserable experience.
, General Manager at Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel, responded to this review
We are so sorry for your under-par experience. Our roll-a-ways were not delivered in time and put us in a very bad position. I apologize for the confusion with Central Reservations, they should have booked the extra room for you as a precaution, as they were correct in not guaranteeing the roll-a-way. We strive to provide a pleasurable experience and are deeply regretful yours was not.
"I can truly say this was a very nice hotel"
This is a refresh of a old hotel. The outside of hotel, lobby and guest room look Awesome. The room was totally new with very nice comfy beds. The bathroom was very nice with a hot shower and plenty or pressure to go along. The lobby area was a new modern lobby with a snack pantry and sitting area. Excellent location and accessibility. We would definately stay again if in the area.

"Birthday Week Travel"
First & Foremost, this is our SECOND stay at a BW in 5 days and this one is just as impressive!! I wish I would have gotten the sweet lady that was working the front desk because she is one employee of the Best Western family that is a PERFECT customer service person!! Bright smile, sweet personality and a delightful demeanor. She greeted me with that bright smile the very second that I walked in the door!! I had told her about how impressed we were at our prior BW earlier in the week, she expressed such gratitude for my opinion of the other property that I could feel how proud she was to be a part of BW. She informed that they had just recently reopened with new renovations including the new attached eatery, which there were menus at the front desk check in which I truly appreciated!! Our room is absolutely BRAND NEW!! I don't think that anyone has stayed in this room before us...if there has been other occupants in the past couple week since their renovations, then a HUGE shout out to the housekeeping department!! This room is spotless!! I love the wood floors (carpet can only handle so much foot traffic), I feel they are a lot cleaner than carpet!! These rooms are very large & tastefully decorated, you gotta take a look at the pictures, words really are a disservice to this property!! Anywho, I had to take a ton of pictures so that everyone will see how GORGEOUS Best Western Hoover Dam Hotel is...when traveling around the Vegas area, THIS is your overnight spot!!

Stayed here this past weekend. The hotel is beautifully remodeled. The staff was great. Amazing pool area that is also completely remodeled. Extremely clean and close to all tourist attractions. Would definitely stay here again!

"Wonderful Remodel"
So clean. The rooms were newly renovated so everything was cleaned and brand new. The management was delightful and personable, even took the time to explain the remodel. And the price was great, the other places in town were charging three times as much! Although the staff was new, it was a beautiful renovated property and I will definitely be staying here again.

"The best and newest hotel in the area "
I went to this hotel for two days. All people around are saying that this hotel just opened and it is always almost full because of the service and the great restaurant bar call TAO. I recommend this hotel because it's very clean and the pool it's perfect. This hotel is the best option in the area.

"Disaster - almost stayed there!"
This motel apparently gets tourists in the summer visiting Boulder Dam & area. We were just driving thru Las Vegas, and apparently hit a very busy time, because all the budget motels along the interstate were booked solid. One of them said they got a call from the Boulder Inn, and that rooms were available, so we called and booked a room arriving about an hour later. They said it was in the "historic area of town", really it is the blighted area of town. This is an old, worn out, crappy motel. We stayed about 3 hours. My wife refused to do anything but sit in an upright chair. But, being an optimist, I said "well, at least its clean." That was before I turned back the covers on one of the beds, and found mouse droppings and pieces of tissue brought to the scene by a rodent. Then, I spied something black or brown at the edge of the covers on the other bed, turned back the blanket, and there was a huge roach. I'll just leave it there, and won't get into tattoo man, the property manager. I dropped off the keys, told them why we were leaving, and that would call the manager for a refund. We drove two more hours to Barstow to spend the night. Twice they agreed to credit the amount charged to our CC, and twice they failed to do so. So, I had the credit card company credit us back and apparently the hotel did not object. My recommendation: avoid this place like the plague.

"Overcharged"
The room was not clean; there was a toothpick laying on the airconditioner, The furnishings had definitely seen better days and the toilet only flushed one time. They charged $10 more than advertised on Tripadvisor and it's a crime they would charge $99 to stay in this pigsty.
"Clueless"
Just when I thought this hotel was finally getting the stuff together they do this. The young lady Courtney who was working here at hotel was a very nice respectful, caring, and had a lot of love for the property and the guests she went out of her way to make every single guest happy. And I found out this last stay she no longer works there she was fired. Good luck to the hotel me and my business partners and company will never stay there again. She was very good to your hotel our company will never stay again. A lot of us only came to hotel for this young lady huge loss. Aj
"Can't recommend"
Best thing was girl at front desk. Found the room very basic, curtains didn't hang correctly, first room door was difficult to close, changed rooms and curtains again didn't close correctly, lamps didn't all have working bulbs, 2 towels, (there was 3 of us), mattress very basic and tilted slightly downward, very obviously needs TLC, chipped paint everywhere, the list goes on and on. I will say though that the room was clean.
"HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHOULD SHUT THEM DOWN"
terrible customer service, terribly run down and filthy! after not being in the room for more then 30 minutes and unable to shower because pressure was so low the water wouldn't spray threw shower head I went to front desk and asked for a refund because I wasn't staying, I was told they couldn't refund my money. poor run business, rip off,
