Best Western Premier A Storia Solenzara
"Seaside Elegance"
hausi48, 03 Octobre 2026

This is a very nice modern hotel in the seaside town of Solenzara. Most friendly and helpful reception. Parking place in the underground garage (to be reserved ahead of time) with easy access to the rooms with luggage. Spacious and stylish room with view of the harbour of Solenzara. Well appointed room and bathroom with walk-in shower. Pleasant restaurant on their terrace with a fine menu. Elegant buffet breakfast. Value in keeping with the season.

"Mixed bag - Well located but poor value"

Well located, but difficult to find by car . Free parking is a help but rooms small v price paid , breakfast poor value v other outlets . Trades on a fantastic location to inflate the price . Staff helpful and friendly.

"Great location, but its a Motel experience("
Rubina1976, 21 Juin 2026

First of all it's not a hotel, it's definitely a Motel. To charge 1136$ for 3 nights its absolutely ridiculous. Hotel doesn't have normal cleaning hours as well.. everything is a problem. Including old, washed off towels in the bathroom… its a second time when Expedia offering bad hotels..without checking them out.

"Coach tour of Gorges du Prunelli, Corsica"
Philip S, 05 Novembre 2025

An excellent tour of the Prunelli Gorges of Corsica. Not the place to drive if you are nervous! Narrow roads with numerous blind bends. Beautiful scenery and plenty of stops to get photos.

Best Western Plus Hotel San Damianu
"Great place to relax"
Tammy E, 24 Octobre 2025

Great views. This is a nice hotel. Breakfast was not great but that was about the only weakness. It was a nice stay. Lots of stairs which mad for some great views but there is an elevator.

"Great location on the harbourside."

Stunning location right on the waterfront. Try if you can to get one of the few rooms with a balcony, especially in hot summer months, then you can while away the hours watching the yachts with food and drink from the nearby supermarket.

"Awful hotel, shameful for a 4 star"
GrandTour27004747323, 17 Juillet 2025

Extremely bad experience, no service. It's not worth 4 stars. A vacation completely ruined by a rotten hotel. Some employees are contemptuous. The cafeteria food is disgusting (microwaved meals) and still takes an hour to prepare?! And when you explain how bad it is, the employee laughs in your face... The rooms aren't available before 4 PM, you have to wait... It's very noisy, all day long and even during the night. Check-out is at 11 AM (5 hours to clean a room?!) but you're FORBIDDEN from eating in common areas. You have to eat in your room (which has already been vacated). Or at the cafeteria (see above). Breakfast is basic (no ordering possible, always the same food, coffees at the machine only, only two machine for fruit juices, mini-pastries are frozen...) Very far from my experiences at other Best Western Plus hotels. Room cleaning is half-baked (when it's done at all). Ants in the room, even in the bathroom... And no security: the balcony door doesn't lock (very dangerous with children), anyone can go up in the elevator (no key card needed). We had to ask to replace the shower soaps (dispenser, not even a real soap bar) and to bring us q tips (the front desk employee told us to come down and get them at reception. In a towel, perhaps?). No water bottles in the room. No snacks either... No room service either. No shutters in the rooms, only curtains that close halfway. A family with two young children: no help whatsoever. A German couple with a Louis Vuitton bag? They roll out the red carpet with a bellhop taking their suitcases. We had a suite, we paid €2000 for 5 nights; this is the last time I'll use a Best Western "Plus"... As for the location, it's in the middle of an industrial area. It's extremely dangerous to walk to the nearby Spar. The shuttle has fixed hours and doesn't run on Sundays, so it's recommended to take a taxi or rent a car.

"disappointment for what could have been a very nice stay if the website was providing honest information"
Olivier F, 10 Juillet 2025

We specifically booked a suite that was supposed to offer an outstanding open view over the Ajaccio bay and were deeply disappointed to end up in room 1101 (not on the 11th floor, but, mind you, in French, sur le 1er etage) directly on the flat roof of the restaurant with a far lesser partial view. The gap between what is advertised on the website and the reality (I took photos to document it) is so wide that I am wondering if it might border on fraudulent. I am still in Europe for a few more weeks but upon returning home to the US I will consider getting in touch with the Maryland OCP (Office of Consumer Protection) to get their views on this matter. Management, contacted twice, has been unresponsive and declined even a very modest request for a modicum of flexibility (checking-out at 2 pm vs. 11 am on our departure day) to partially assuage our disappointment

"Nice hotel in a great location at the end of the marina with free parking very close"
sopaca, 17 Juin 2025

We had a lovely room with a small balcony overlooking the road and cliff face at the back. It was very nice as we booked this last minute so having an outdoor area was great. The location of the hotel is great - towards the end of the hotels on the harbour front and only 5-10 minutes from the ferry that we arrived on from Sardinia. It was also a bonus being able to park our rental car for free in a parking area only 5 minutes from the hotel. And having a supermarket, Spar, in the next building was a big plus point for us.

Southern Corsica is a paradise department desired by millions of tourists each year. Find our hotels in Southern Corsica with our three-star, four-star and five-star hotels.

Where to sleep in Southern Corsica?

Ajaccio, nicknamed the imperial city, is the central city for a hotel in Southern Corsica. The largest city in the department, it is full of cultural and tourist activity. Take the opportunity to discover the Sanguinaires archipelago, a true corner of paradise off the coast of the city.

For a hotel in Southern Corsica to the east of the island, prefer Porto-Vecchio. The second city of the department is full of charm. Stroll along the port and enjoy the sea air. Then stroll through the upper part of town between the restaurants and shops. A few minutes by car, don't miss the heavenly beaches of Palombaggia or Santa Giulia, two of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica.

At the southern tip of Corsica, discover the town of Bonifacio. Without a doubt one of the most surprising towns on the island. A perfect place for a hotel in Southern Corsica. At sunset, go up to town and enjoy a breathtaking landscape: Limestone Cliff, bird's eye view of the Mediterranean Sea and view of Sardinia. Then, have dinner at the port and enjoy the most beautiful sailboats and yachts on the island. Finally, stroll through the city streets and discover its impenetrable citadel.

How to get to Southern Corsica?

The department of Southern Corsica is easily accessible by plane from Figari airport or by ferry via the ports of Porto-Vecchio, Ajaccio or Bonifacio.
