"Believe the negative reviews. Nice staff doesn't make it better, the hotel is really run down."
kellye170, 10 Septembre 2026

Room 103 had a slug on the wall. Room 228 the air conditioner broke and room 214 was so dirty it was cleaned by the maids twice and the front desk clerk as well and the water ran rusty in the tub. There were rowdy men staying there, slamming doors, smoking weed outside and yelling and cursing in the hallways.

"Great stay, great value"
OnAir04848673442, 22 Juillet 2026

Room was very clean and well-appointed. Complimentary breakfast had many options. Staff was very friendly. Great value compared with other options in the area.

"Super pet Friendly"
Jonathan G, 03 Décembre 2025

Traveling with medium size dog. Super pet friendly property! Great fitness center. Breakfast was consistently good.

"Good stay"
kmc11_11, 21 Novembre 2025

We were in town for family and the Best Western Plus was perfect for our needs. Short drive to the hospital, nearby restaurants, and easy access to I83. Property was clean and well maintained, room was comfortable, breakfast was above average with 24 hr. coffee/tea, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

"Subpar at best. Would definitely not recommend."

Check in was pleasant enough, until I had to change rooms 3 times (and should've changed again). The 1st room had a large unfinished, plastered hole in the wall. The 2nd room had a broken entry light and a malfunctioning A/C. The 3rd room was an "upgrade for my troubles" suite that was the same size as the previous rooms, but had full-sized beds so they could shove a sofa in an call it a suite. In the "suite" I was "upgraded" to, the beds had been made up, but the room hadn't been cleaned. I'd had enough after a long day and decided to take it up with staff in the morning. To call the room I was in a suite was an absurd joke. Not only is it the same size as the regular rooms, but it is actually more cramped b/c they jam in more things to call it a suite and to charge more. The bathroom is so small that the door blocks 1/2 of the tub and the toilet blocks 1/3. You literally have to go sideways between these obstacles to move between the tub/shower and the sink. The water pressure was poor. The "desk" area is a 1-foot wide shelf that sits inches below a TV that doesn't work for its intended purpose. They say it's for streaming, but there are no mainstream services on it save for 4 Google apps. Those don't function b/c the TV isn't correctly connected to a network. AND the only way cast to the TV is by linking to it as your wifi source, which means anything you stream has to be predownloaded onto your computer. The other TV in my supposed suite was 4-feet away from the 1st TV on the same wall and both turned on or off when using a singular remote. One of the most glaring issues? The housekeeping. My room was never fully cleaned during my 5-day visit. I asked repetitively for a thorough cleaning as I was given a dirty room and the closest I got was on day 3 when they finally swiped someone else's pubes from my toilet. Even then there was still debris on the floor and multiple surfaces where you could wipe away brown dust with your finger. They also don't change the bed linens until you ask. I asked and my bed linens weren't changed. They simply made the bed as if I wouldn't notice the same, wrinkled up sheets on the bed. Or the same pillowcases. Some days I didn't get the same number of towels. Or the appropriate amount of bodywash/shampoo/lotion. Or a bath mat. Etc, etc, etc. AND there's always a tip envelope for the cleaning staff in your room as if they're doing even a passably good job. The exercise room? LOL. There was a dust bunny the size of a rat in there. Dirt and debris everywhere. Misaligned, rusting equipment. Buckling paint. Hardwater stained flooring. Uncontrolled cords. Padded stretching mats that were so dirty that when I wet-wiped them 3 times? They blackened the wipes every time. And then browned the towel I used to dry it off after the 3rd wet wiping. One day one of the two elevators wasn't working. There's an unpleasant, lingering smell in the elevators, hallways, and rooms. You can readily hear noise from other rooms. I will say that the breakfast is a nice perk, with some tasty options. The staff is also nice enough, but that doesn't go too far when the smiles and kindness don't get things done (such as giving me a clean, fully-functioning, usable room; or getting housekeeping to fully clean my room; etc). There are many other things that were off--like the stained desk chair in my room; the crooked lamp; the uncontrolled cords hanging from the lamp, the A/C, and the desk areas in my room; the crumbs and staining on the sofa; the misaligned platform beds that can easily gash your legs; the coffee/water stains and dirty surfaces in the elevators; the uncleaned mini-fridge; the 3-foot counter that they call a kitchenette in my non-suite suite; the dirty grout in the bathroom and entry; the paint splatters and streaks on the floor and in the crevices of the same; etc, etc. etc. The location is "meh," but I knew that in advance. I chose to stay here because it's one of the highest rated hotels in the York area. From my perspective based on the above? Most of these reviews are whacked.

"Great Stay, as Always!"

Quiet, Clean, Accommodating and Friendly! Cathy is the sweetest and I always feel appreciated. Hotel is close to restaurants, I-83 and Rte 30, Specialty Physicians and even a Vet.

"Bullet train service at subway prices"
CareyMartin, 02 Juin 2025

I've been on the road a bit this year. All good experiences- but this establishment was the cream of the crop. Start with a great location for motorists, just off I-83 but far enough to be very quiet. Add up to date and spotless rooms; nice facilities, including both fitness and game rooms; great complimentary breakfast, with both make-your-own waffles and pancakes. Top it off with the most friendly and helpful staff I've encountered in a long while. And housekeeping gives the rooms full service EVERY DAY. IDK when I'll be back in York PA, but when I am this is my first choice.

"Wonderful experience all around! Super clean, cozy beds, awesome staff, property immaculate, and nice grassy space for"
Kim B, 17 Mars 2025

Wonderful hotel! Super clean, amazing Staff, esp Kathy. Has bar on Fri Sat. Good breakfast. Nice property w lots of grassy areas. Safe. No issue w water pressure for us and all the random ppl I asked when they came down from. Higher floors. Stay here! You will not be dissapointed. Oh, comfy beds and pillows too. All super clean and im a bit OCD about hotels and cleanliness. No carpet, which, IMHO, is always a bonus. We will b back nextbyear!

"Jacuzzi suite"
cuinthemoon, 09 Mars 2025

This was a Holiday inn, remodeled nicely to a Best Western Plus. They did a wonderful job. Our room was modern and clean. The tub was so nice to relax in. Bed was super comfy. Pillows at a tad weak but I was able to get an extra one. My only complaint was that being on the 1st floor, it was quite a bit of noise coming from the stairwell and hall. I would opt for a higher floor next time. They offer a nice hot breakfast in the morning. This location also has a bar. Check in was smooth. I would recommend.

"Breath of Fresh Air"
Sabrina P, 22 Octobre 2024

This hotel was a breath of fresh air compared to others we've stayed in recently. The staff was friendly and courteous, the facility is well appointed, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The 4+ star reviews are all right! Thank you for such a great stay!

"Decent place to stay - but very expensive!"
alicia d, 20 Octobre 2024

Perfectly decent motel, staff very friendly, room very clean, internet fast, bed decent, breakfast OK, the area is quiet without highway noise. But the price was crazy - over $200 after AAA discount! Look around, you probably can do better somewhere else but we had our dog with us and didn't have a lot of choice that night.
