Best Western Plus Congress Hotel

After a flight with a delay of 6 hours, we arrived at the hotel at 1 am. The very warm and smiling welcome (Ms. Srbuhi) gave us positive energy and eliminated this fatigue. The room we stayed in was on the 5th floor (504), very quiet, with windows opening onto the hotel's outdoor pool. It has an air conditioning system that provides maximum comfort The room is quite tidy with tea and coffee facilities, mini bar which was enough for us. All appliances were charged daily and towels were changed. Excellent breakfast table with a lot of variety (every day you will have a variety of options other than fixed choices); And "Vincent Lobby Bar" which has a very lovely environment with magical bartenders who show you the beauty of Yerevan. The location of the hotel is excellent, it is a ten minute walk to Republic Square, which is an important advantage. I have nothing to say except to thank the hotel staff who made a beautiful trip and a memorable memory of Yerevan for us. If I ever return to Yerevan, I will definitely choose this place. thanks again

Be sure to choose.it is clean.have nice wine and coffee. Staff are polite. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was nice. Near to main street..you can walk to resturants. And many places. Use gg taxi to go to anywhere. Accent resturant in hotel was good.

I had wonderful days at our Hotel in Armenia as well . Great Hotel with good Location amazing staff with amazing service ,special thanks to Ripa from Front desk she was so helpful and nice to us , the rooms are small and there is a smell of cigarettes also the Hotel management should pay more attention to breakfast zone and waiters and waitresses working there , sometimes they're so rude to us , they didn't let us to take some cookies to our room .

I have stayed at this hotel before but since it has had a renovation and is much more modern. The rooms are lovely and clean, slightly on the smaller side but more than adequate. The breakfast was good with a good variety and even hot, cooked food if you prefer. It would be nice if they had enough staff to serve the tea and coffees in the morning as you end up getting up and down lots of times to get everything. On occasion there also weren't any tables available but we didn't have to wait too long. The pool facilities are great. It was never too busy and very clean. The towels were always available. The treatment options are there however very expensive so we didn't use these. The staff at the reception were always very polite, attentive and helpful. We would most definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel in the city center of Yerevan. Rooms are clean and they have nice restaurant/bar in the case you are tired and not feeling going outside for lunch/dinner. Breakfast is good - however, found strange they extra charge if you want an omelette or smoothie. The reception was 24/7 and they were very helpful.

I spend a week in this hotel and enjoyed the comfortable room, the good breakfast and the relaxing pool. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Tips: - reduce the volume of the background music - create for the business guests a quiet section in the spacious lobby: it's very busy and too noisy

Perfectly located hotel in the heart of Yerevan city. Renovated pool is a must to visit place with charming Mediterranean ambiance. Great stuff and tasty breakfasts. Amazing restaurant inside the hotel with delicious food and wines. Highly recommended!

Great place. Accommodated my request to extend the stay. Amazin break fast and the outdoor pool is another added attraction. Walkable distance from Republic Square and nice gardens nearby. The rooms are a little smaller though.

The pool area was hired out and excessively loud music was being played there when I got back to the hotel. I put up with it for an hour before going to complain. The receptionist was advised of my complaint but said that the pool area was booked. I asked when it would stop and she just shrugged her shoulders. I then asked if it could be turned down but again all she said was that the pool area was booked. Clearly she was going to do nothing about it. I then asked to speak to a manager but was told that there were one on duty but I could speak to one in the morning. Clearly far to late to do anything about the noise.

Wonderful hotel! We have spent four marvellous days in this hotel and we have loved it for all the services provided. Excellent position; fantastic staff, great reception, wonderful and comfy room with everything you need. Romantic location and outstanding breakfast in a nice area. Huge swimming pool where you can relax after a day of travel or of work. Very helpful and passionate staff that can hel you out with everything you need. We have just loved it! The Best Western Congress Hotel belongs to the category of the best luxury hotels in Yerevan. The hotel is located in the city center, opposite the 2800th Anniversary Park, near Republic Square and other important buildings. We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. It's a really cosy and warm hotel , right in the city centre, 3-4 minutes from Hotel to main Republic Square. We lived ther 4 days and everything was amazing.The service in this hotel it's really nice. First we met Ripa on the Reception desk she was really professional,and know how to communicate with guests,she knows absolutely everything about the Country, even about neighbors, she advised us to try the restaurant in the hotel and we really amazed of it, special thanks to her she's the only one who gave us real (not fake) Smile and amazing Service. All the good wishes to her , also thanks to waiters Aram, Stella and Shoushan guys you are amazing the breakfast is amazing. Once again thank you Armenia for Hospitality.

I stayed here on a volunteer home building vacation. It's a very nice American style hotel. Our room was large with two doubles/queen beds. The restaurant had some of the best food we ate in Yerevan. Our room came with a large breakfast buffet every morning. OK, the automatic espresso wasn't the best, but you can go next door and get. a real one. There's a 24-hour bar that has lots of options in spirits, wine and beer. The hotel is well located. You can walk to many places including Yerevan's metro.

Great location, I really enjoyed the park nearby and the closeness to IELTS centre. The breakfast was lovely, a great variety of food and drinks choices. The room service however was slightly disappointing, there was some hair on the floor and on the towels when I moved in. Toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided, so take this into consideration. Stayed there for one night and can certainly say that bed in the number for 1 is amazing, best sleep ever.

Stayed here twice on my trip through the Caucuses. It's a 5 minute walk to Republic Square, lovely lit fountains are across the road. Room was fine, comfy bed and well appointed bathroom. Loved breakfast.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The pool was surprisingly modern. The food at the hotel was good and my room was nice. The hotel is conveniently located very close to the city center. The concierge organized an enjoyable day trip for me.

To the hotel team, it may appear like a great idea to have breakfast served outside next to the pool but as you can see from the pictures it is a complete health hazard from exposed cables to food thats not being chilled and in direct sunshine 30 degrees-plus. There was a huge amount of food and I pray they did not use that food for anything else afterwards and that all of it was thrown away. My senses tell me it was destined for meeting room and café food or the staff canteen. I raised it with the supervisory staff and I don't think they grasped how serious this is and how much of a health hazard this is to guests, be my guest, dine with the flies

Good location, a five minute walk from Republic Square, and a really good breakfast buffet. Rooms okay. But the pool was FULL of kids until late evening (they seem to issue daily passes, so it's not just hotel guests using it), with little supervision from parents or a pool attendant, making using it or sitting near it very far from a relaxing experience. Be prepared for dive bombing, screeching and running races round the pool whilst the attendant sits by and watches.

This hotel is very well-located for walking around Yerevan, just a short walk to Republic Square. The rooms on the 3rd floor are vastly better than those on the 5th or 6th (MUCH more spacious), while those above have a balcony. However, I didn't consider the balcony useful, as there's no privacy from your neighbors. The negative side is that they keep the lights on all night, so the light can be disturbing. Bring a sleep mask. The beds are very, VERY comfortable, the breakfast is good, with a great coffee machine and the reception staff is very nice and helpful. There was a mix-up on my first night however, when a guest opened my door with suitcase in hand. Nothing to freak out about, but disconcerting. What's especially fabulous here is a bartender named Pogosh who is charming, helpful, and has created a wonderful cocktail called "National Treasure". If you don't stay at the hotel, at least pop in to the bar (which is open 24 hrs!) and see if he's on shift, order one of these, and prepare to surprise your taste buds.

This hotel is more than due for an update. Everything is extremely worn out. The staff will email you one thing, and when you get there, say something completely different and not honor what they have said. The hotel was so bad, I checked out three days early. It really is on the low end of clean, and you get one worn out towel. The hotel I went to for the same price so nice, i would recommend finding a different hotel.

Stayed here in January. Its ok, located in the centre of the city, you can walk around. In-room dining food was good, but breakfast buffet some food was cold actually but tasted good. Service is ok as well. The rooms are kind of small but clean. The bed is very comfortable. overall I had good impression

Many good points for this hotel : - it's very clean - service hotel is excellent : the people at the reception are quite efficient - the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet - breakfast and lunch very good and the staff very nice - the place is center to visit yerevan and many restaurant not far Thank you for all ! The rooms are very nice and comfortable, The hotel is located in the top center, you everything around. The hotel staff is smiling, ready to support and fully engaged. The offered food is with high quality.

Location was perfect. It was just a few steps from the Republic Square. The people from the reception, restaurants, and housekeeping were all warm and friendly. Breakfast had variety. ♥️ The rooms were small and a little old but it's manageable.

Took a 1 month membership for the Congress hotel pool during 2021 and it was a tough and unpleasant experience because of the reasons below. 1. Some of hotel staff members tried to put a pressure on me and told that the swimming pool area is not a computer work place. In general during my whole visit many employers never smiled, never were friendly and it was always an impression they were doing a favor to me. I tried my 2nd visit to the pool during same year September and it was amazing when they saw me their face was as cold as ice and they didn't say hi to me. I was very disappointed and felt that I am not welcomed there. 2. Waitress Tamara was always creating problems for me so whenever I wanted to take an order she was always in a hurry, no time for me, very rude and at some point she started even not to look at my face and totally ignored me so actually when I was there I couldn't make any order with her it was not possible. Till now during my 2 nd visit she behaves the same I saw her today and again cold expression of her face she even didn't say hi :-( ***Great guys of this hotel are Razmik(sommelier), Mkhitar and Raffik(bartenders) Tatevik(mice manager)*** and I am adding 1 star because of this nice people who were always smiling, helpful and respectful to me.

As usual we wanted to enjoy a swimming pool during our stay and a nice bar and restaurant. We had been surprised by the hospitality of this hotel part of best western group. The swimming pool bar restaurant team spent 99% of their time behind the bar laughing enjoying drinking and eating instead of proposing or serving the customers. You have to request by all type of gestures the help of a waiter. Then finally when a waiter comes to take your order it's by being very very very rude. And all this to finally get a food without taste and cold! Don't take side dishes they will be served 20 min before the main dish… And please do not make any comment or you will have the waiter yelling at you and even raising a hand on you! YES my physical integrity had been abused by one the waiter. And all the staff were laughing. Thanks god the food and beverage manager intervention helped but alone he can't do a lot. Last but not least, the WC are as clean as an a fast food restaurant one…

Its definitely not a lack of the number of service personnel why guests are being ignored at the pool restaurant. They simply don't care. I recommend every guest not to eat or drink anything there aß they dont deserve it.

We had 3 rooms booked, out of which one from AC was not working , one room carpet was smelling, other rooms the toilet was bad, it's not a standard of 4star, I requested to change my room and no one bothered to do so even after I requesting, only the room which AC was not working was changed and that too after arguing. Bas experience and recommend no one to stay here. Rooms are like bathroom size as well. You ll suffocate in it.

We just used the outdoor pool and got food of the hotel's poolside. We are expats with a worlwide experience over the past 30 years. Verdict? Close to 30usd per adult, including towels, with little choice for choosing your spot around the pool. Swimming pool is relatively small. Food is well below what you would expect. For instance you will pay nearly 10usd for two taco shells filled with potatoes mostly, very little meat, hardly spiced, no garnish whatsoever. Just want fries? You got a 15 minutes wait again, with a meager serving. Want 3 sodas with 3 glasses and ice? You will get 3 sodas cans with two glasses after 10 mins and a kind reminder to the waitresses, another 1 reminder and another 10 minutes for the last glass. Want a smile? You got to wait for that and your 30 usd entry fee plus another 15 for food won' t get it... Conclusion ? We guessed that their market is made of people like us stupid enough to pay that much for so little!

A very poor experience, despite the many good reviews on TA. The rooms were outdated. Very poor decor, dirty (rusty) faucets, thin bath towels with tatettres ends. Poor toiletries. NO INTERNET for the 2 days I stayed. Staff didn't know what to do. Breakfast was poor in general though many choices. Coffee Machine at breakfast didn't work. For this price I stayed at another hotel close by which was FAR SUPERIOR than this one. I would never stay here again.

The hotel was overall nice (pool and gym available) but the service was a bit slow and some of the staff were not very nice. The issue with the breakfast is that it closes at 10am which is early if you wanna sleep in. We also had an incident where we broke a glass in the room and they charged us for it 6$ (2700dram). We found it unfair since we already paid a decent amount for the stay. (It's not about the amount of money it's the idea). Overall it was a nice stay but some things can be improved.

It's summer so their outdoor pool and bar are amazing! Great location as it is walking distance to almost everywhere in the city center. The staff are all very nice, approachable and helpful. The breakfast is good but not for long stays as it's the same everyday. The window in our room looks out into the lovely parks nearby. It's a standard 4* hotel, not luxurious but generally adequate. Although it has no dedicated business center, the lobby has a generous sitting area linked to the bar and the restaurant.

room was clean staff was polite but service not good. they forgot give towel to us and when we told them they said it's after 8 pm and room service were gone to home ! for pool i needed 1 more towel but they said no just one :)) why??? breakfast was normal but they not charged on time . and We ordered food and they brought us another food of their choice . The curtain of the room is very thin and you will wake up in the morning with sunlight

The location, the interior deco and the comfortable mattress are the main advantages. The breakfast buffet is acceptable when considering what is usually on offer in Yerevan hotels. The room is very quiet during the day and evening because the double glazing is well done. Alas, at night until the morning the ventilation/heating system on the roof operates so the bathroom ceiling which is directly beneath and open to it exerts noise which defeats the purpose of having the double glazed windows. After the first night I asked the reception to shift me to the 5th floor (only the two top floors are operational during the winter) in hope the disturbance is reduced and because I needed to extend my stay in Yerevan by a week beyond my booking dates. They said rooms are available but they will shift me only if I commit to extra nights beyond those I had alreasy paid for during my initial booking. I found this a mild form of blackmail that is completely unnecessary. As the hotel had low occupancy anyway because of the pandemic to shift me on the second day would not cost them anything but experience taught me that a stubborn and self defeating approach is the norm rather than the exception in this neck of the woods which is why I chose to leave.

One of the employees Armin from restaurant was very kind. Hotel management should be happy to have him as an employee in this hotel. He is a multilingual person. He speaks Armenian English and Farsi. He is so helpful and kind person. He is been a great help and I want to be appreciated staying hotel as a guest.

Rate is affordable and value for your money. Love the food & staffs were very accommodating. However it was still winter so we were not able to try their swimming pool. Looking forward to stay again next time during spring!

The Hotel is located in a very convenient location, near to Republic Square and park. Its in the area where you can walk around and enjoy some views. With wonderful staff and good facilities. I enjoyed the breakfast as it have variety to choose from and nice presentation.

So far the best hotel, accessible location at city center, very accommodating staff, delish breakfast, superb resto and bar. The tour arrangement is affordable and informative.They have spacious rooms. Amazing Armenia!

We had 3 nights stay in this hotel but I can say it was only like a 1 night because it passed so fast. Their service and quality made us to stay more but unfortunately we were in hurry to come back to our country. Check in was excellent but check out was the worst. Thank you all for your service.

Stay there for 2 nights on November. Very kind and helpful staff. We get check in 2 hours before normal check-in time. Breakfast is more than a good for the same category hotels in Erevan. Rooms little bit looking for refurbished but enough comfortable

The location of the hotel is great and staff are kind but I disliked some points, first of all when we arrived at the entrance there was no one to took our luggages and also when we got our room, we took our luggage to our rooms by ourselves. Another one is a sound of water from piping system that makes it so noisy that we couldn't sleep.

The location of the hotel is great. The stuff is great too, very kind and professional. During warm seasons I suggest to use the rooms that give to park and not to the pool of the hotel. Otherwise the room would be more then warm, and the adjusted air condition won't be enough. So the rooms that have a window to the hotel entrance side are better. My only dislike is that the rooms have to be renewed. The TV was shut down before checking out time around 9:30 or 10 am. I am not really encouraged to use the hotel again unless the rooms are renewed. Cause for the price I paid I could have stayed at Tufenkian Yerevan.

15 mins walk from Republic Square, good breakfasts, pool. Booking (online) very easy. Reception staff good. English widely spoken.Lots to see in Yerevan: modern cathedral, plus old churches, fruit/meat/veg/fish market, and clothes market. Katchachurian concert hall.

Travelling with 26 people around Armenia visiting the Armenian Church and country we stayed at the Congress 4 nights. The location is brilliant a short walk to the main square, striking distance to the Ararat Brandy museum and parks front and back of the hotel. We only did breakfast as we ate our other meals out, but it was certainly good enough to make me want to eat in!! The pool was a treat, the saunas were welcome and the bar was well stocked. A great value well equipped clean Best Western Hotel.

It's never a mistake celebrating a wedding and stay for a few days there. They do everything to make your special day the best in your life. The staff is very polite and attentive. All good for me. Big room with all the amenities you would expect+a balcony. Breakfast is included. Big, very nice swimming pool. Location a short walk from Republic Square. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sevak was especially kind and helpful to me. I thank him.

This is such a great hotel that we have come back! Lovely rooms and excellent breakfast. Staff all really friendly and helpful. Swimming pool really fab (outside), and open 10am to 9pm. Massages are great and really cheap!

Everything was great about my stay. Firstly the staff are really friendly and offer a brilliant service. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. Amazing and helpful staff I would say. Great location and many more. But very poor air conditioning and cooling system in the room. We were not able to have a good night sleep due to the heat and of course the noise coming from the street. During the day, kept sweating while getting ready for a big occasion which was not a good feeling! So in case of booking in summer think twice and try to get the rooms not facing the street. Thanks to all the nice and welcoming staff of the hotel, but overall it was not a good experience!

The breakfast is great and has a lot of options , staff are really friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great and near everything no need to take a taxi except for the long distance. The reception area is very modern and nice

After reprogramming my key for the second time they said it was because of my phone but the problem wasn't solved and i kept reprogramming it twice a day, the breakfast is literally nonexistant except for sunday when the did it besides the pool, unhelpful staff and super unprofessional. Didn't meet my expectations at all !! Other than that i think the location and overall value is acceptable

We arrived today and liked the hotel a lot. Good location. But I went in the evening with my kid to the pool. And once he was in it I was told that it was closed. That's fine with me and he left the pool immediately. But 5 guys standing next to me while I was just sitting atbthe pool with my feet in the water insisted that I remove the feet or there would be a penalty to pay. Are we back in the 80s soviet times?

Perfect location in Yerevan, nice breakfast staff (Nairi), varied breakfast selection (mushrooms very strangely presented; but basterma, cherries, watermelon and strawberries very tasty), fun pool area (but unfriendly + unprofessional +sour-faced staff, blaring music to the extent that the speaker goes fuzzy and then radio silence for ages), beautifully renovated lobby and restaurant, rooms are dated and not very clean (carpet not hoovered, dirt behind sink, hairs on mattress cover), shower gel stinks, no signage from the lift to the pool (long maze with no signs, ended up guessing the way!).

This hotel is very good located in the centre of Yerewan. The food is excellent and the service friendly and very helpfull. There is also a very nice pool and breakfast is stunning. The room was clean and the bed is comfortable. I would come back.

The hotel provides better comfort and service than one would expect from the Best Western chain. It is not very big (about 125 rooms), and faces the newly-build boulevard south of the Republic square, which is very popular for late-evening gatherings and walks. Rooms facing the ice green area around the pool in the backyard are quieter. Tasty breakfast with Armenian specialties.

The location is perfect to see downtown Yerevan. The breakfast although different from an American style one was very good, although sometimes they ran out of things and had to wait for the food to be resupplied. One day there was no pressure for the water in the shower and the water was cold. The TV did not get all of the stations that they said it did and some were only in black and white, but should have been in color.

1-Location is perfect in the middle of the city 5/5 2-Lobby and reception are nice (refurbished) 5/5 3-Rooms and toilets 2/5 (outdated and needs serious refurbishment) 4-Breakfast and food is good 4/5 5-Pool and amenities are good 4/5 We had 3 rooms at the hotel.. 1-Several issues were reported with the room 523 (tv not working-only one armenian channel,main door not well closing, toilet door no key) 2- On the second day breakfast was very crowded (not enough food served) and the staff weren't able to cope up with the number of guests (credits to be given to the 2 ladies working at the breakfast). The positive thing is that Lilit the Quality manager was always available to listen to the guests concerns and she tried her best to help.. meanwhile hotel management needs to take serious action on 1-the understaffing of the breakfast (specially when they know that the hotel is over booked on events like the queen's birthday) and 2-the refurbishment of the rooms (we left after 7 nights while the tv and the door are still not working.

Location of the hotel is nearly superb, very very close to the city center (Republic Square), next to the nice park with the beautiful fountains. It is about 15 minutes ride from the airport by taxi (not during the rush hour), price of the ride is around 7 USD with Yandex (Russian version of Uber). My room (6th floor) was really spacious,and clean, as well as everything else in the hotel which is in my opinion extremely clean. Room itself is not state of the art room, but it is really really comfortable and cosy. Hotel lobby and restaurant and wine bar are for example very modern (recently redecorated). My room was really quiet so i had opportunity for a good night sleep. Breakfast was very good, it's not the best or the richest breakfast I ever tried, but I think that definitely everyone can find something for themselves. Beautiful outdoor heated pool. Staff was really friendly and 24 hour hours a day present at the reception without waiting.. Interesting additional service: you have possibility to order at the reception early breakfast to go package on day of your leave, which is really useful because most of the flight from Armenia to Europe leave early morning (4-6 am). Mini bar and room service prices more than reasonable. Complimentary bottle of water (0,5 l) every day. Would definitely recommend it.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days, traveling in business. The facilities are new after renovation, hotel offers open pool and a lot of extra services free of charge. There is 24 hrs wine shop, where you can get very good local wines. We tasted 4 kinds and found all of them drinkable. The location is just perfect, we recommend taking a room with a balcony view, which could make your stay in Yerevan even better. One very important advantage is service, which is superior, even comparing to overall high service standards in Yerevan. This is exactly we put the highest possible score for this hotel and can recommend it.

My family traveled to Yerevan for the first time and had a pleasant stay at the Best Western Congress Hotel. Our 7 night stay at Best Western Congress Hotel in Yerevan (has a lovely ambience) was made pleasant and seamless by the staff. Special mention to Sevak (receptionist), Mary (Restaurant Incharge), Sargis (concierge) for the kind and friendly service - do ask for them if you need any guidance or assistance. The breakfast was very filling and delicious; the room was spacious, cozy and very clean; necessary supplies were provided everyday and in more quantities to ensure a seamless experience at the hotel. The house keeping staff were very accomodating too. They made us feel safe and ensured we did not miss home. Location wise it was located at the heart of the city giving easy access to most of the tourist areas as well as for shopping. Highly recommend to all families who are traveling to Yerevan.

Receptionists work slow and looks non-friendly. We arrived @ 8am but check in is @ 2pm, so we waited so we won't pay extra. @ 1:50pm, we went back to the lobby hoping our room is ready, but we have to wait another 30mins before they let us in. It was disappointing. Breakfast was ok, more english/continental. Gym was spacious and unmanned. Pool was closed. Staff speaks little english.

I stayed at the BW Congress for 2 nights last week. The location is good- a 10 minute walk from the centre of Yerevan, close to Republic Square and just 20 mins drive from the Airport. Check in was quick and easy and the receptionist was pleasant. My 3rd floor room was spotlessly clean, and spacious,with plenty of storage space and a large desk. There was a limited minibar and a kettle but unfortunately just tea and no coffee provided. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, and collapsed during my second night! The ensuite was clean but extremely dated, with a stained toilet bowl and decrepid shower. The bar area in the lobby is very well designed and is a lovely place to spend some time and watch the world go by. They have a great selection of drinks, and the prices were very reasonable. Some of the staff were lovely, but one or two were rather miserable and uninterested. All in all a decent stay, and will priced, but could do with a little bit of work to bring it up to date!

The location is okay, walking distance to the shopping and restaurant areas. I tried the spa, it was good. The room was not the one I expected, they assigned me on the farthest part of the floor/ corridor

For my 1st time in Yerevan I've book this hotel and I'm so happy, for 10 nights it was perfect A lot of choice for the breakfast Check in possible in the night, always someone at the reception I'll come back next time I'll come in Yerevan

Very conveniently located at a prime area. Design is modern very lovely. Room is a bit small yet have the most comfy bed and pillows ever. Arman at the front desk is super helpful and hospitable- shukran for you help Arman; breakfast was delicious, just the right selection in a nice homely atmosphere Keep it up guys

Everything was average at the hotel, the room was nice but many things did not work properly in the room! Also if you advertise that you have a nice pool, make it work. The service at the lounge must get better because the forgot my order and when they remembered it, it took very long time!

I had a good time in this hotel, the good thing is the gust manager "Lilit" tried to make everything be good and totally I was satisfied of staying there, and it is near republic square and I handled some works by walking and no need to take taxi.It was lucky for me and I suggest to you.

We arrived on Saturday (me from Vienna and my Friend from Iran) and I was really hoping for a good and easy stay but we had to handle a lot of real bad moments starting with a bad bed, some confused stuff, some rude comments and unprofessional treatment - don't expect the international standards of 4 star- this hotel will not see me anymore - just to be fair: the gym is amazing and the customer relation manager is trying to do her job (the best possible) but she still needs a lot of training.

Safe, clean and confortable hotel, at reasonble price and perfect location to explore central Yerevan. Staff if nice and helpful. Pleanty of areas to sit around if you need to meet people. Food is good but breakfast get get crowded. If you want good if no-frills business stay, this is the place.

All staff were so kind and helpful. The comcierge guy who works in the morning. All the receptionists, bellboys, f&b staff and housekeeping they were all ready to help and serve you. I enjoyed the 24hrs sauna after long day walking outside in negative temperature. The locations is perfect. Just few steps away from Republic Square. A lot of restaurants and grocery near the hotel. I defo recommend this hotel. Quiet and decent place to stay. Thanks for making my trip a memorable one. :)

The hotel is very close to the airport. 15 min by taxi and 5 min walking by Republic Square. So the location is amazing, and really don't have distances inside of Yerevan. The bar, and restaurant was amazing, delicious food, good service. The hotel staff always was helpful, friendly. This hotel is perfect for big conferences as well. The room was well-equipped and the bed was comfortable. All in all warmly recommended to stay here if you visit the city. Sure I have to come back here.

After going through different option of hotels in Yerevan ,my husband and I decide to stay in BEST WEST CONGRESS HOTEL and we are super happy of our choice. we are kind of picky about hotel ,we really enjoy our stay.CLEAN ,COZY ,very nice staff who are so professional in their career .Receptionists Hripsime and Sevak are awesome ,so helpful always smiling .all staff treat hotel guests with respect and take care of them.housekeeping staff they do their best and they are so nice.breakfast is wonderful with lots of option.staff who work in breakfast area ,restaurant and Bar are so polite ,nice and amazing . This property is located at the heart of the city and are accessible from many tourist attractions in Yerevan. It is also very popular place that most of the taxi drivers knows the place. Hotel was clean, well maintained with tasty breakfast.Staffs were cooperative.

Really nice hotel close to the city center cozy and comfortable rooms. Breakfast so Armenian and of course testy. Staff were helpful and friendly. Price comparing with other central hotels good. Also I loved nearby pool.

I spent my honeymoon there with my wife. We got there before 2 pm but they accept us kindly and checked in. The staffs were polite and nice and all of them could speak English.The rooms were absolutely clean and tidy and there was too much space for both of us.The location of the hotel was excellent. It is located next to the center of Yerevan, the republic Square. There are two beautiful parks around it which you can enjoy walking there. The breakfast was always the best. There were always different kinds of food served in proper amount. If I go to Yerevan again, I prefer to stay in this Hotel again.

I booked at best western congress hotel for a week with my brother for a holiday.the rooms were clean, newly renovated and fantastic.the breakfast was fabulous, healthy and large variety of food.Employees and restaurant staff were helpful and always welcome you with a beautiful smile.the wi-fi internet was extremely fast which makes your life easier.definitely and absolutely could book for the next time at best western congress hotel.Great job thumbs up !!

It is a nice hotel. Very good Libby, staff restaurant and breakfast. Room and corridors are very small but clean. But still value for miney. Republic square and Yerevan city supermarket is only 5 minutes walk lable distance.

If your going to Armenia and want to experience the city then this place is strategic. Staff were super friendly and helpful they gave us the top restaurants to try and even the hole in the wall once which are a must try. The rate is reasonable and the rooms were neat and tidy plus room service was on the dot. We were able to explore tge city via a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast was ok although I wish there was more variety. Overall, My husband and I loved our stay at the Hotel.

Very nice hotel, I thought the reception and bat area was very nice and modern. Staff were all very friendly, attentive and helpful. The room was small in my opinion, but fine as I was staying on my own. I also thought the room was a little old fashioned but very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and the choice of food and drinks was good. I ate my evening meal here on my first night and I thought it was delicious and reasonably priced. It is in a great location, very near Republic Square. I would definitely stay here again.

The dust has settled, the renovation is over, and the Congress Hotel is back in business. The lobby is amazing and has everything you need to chill, during your time in Yerevan. The bar/cafe offers coffees, teas, and cocktails, along with tasty food items, including salads, sandwiches, and burgers. Be sure to checkout the nearby wine room. If you were worried about construction at the hotel, worry no more and book a room at your old favorite hotel today. You'll be pleasantly surprised!

It's the second time we have stayed in this hotel and I have to say that we were desapointed. The service was not good as the first time, the staff did not make it welcoming except the cleaners and the great Talar (concierge assistant). She was so helpful, problem resolver and always with a big smile. She was service oriented, I wish everyone was like her. The breakfast was bad, the restaurant was closed for renovation so breakfast was served outside with little choice. The room are old, refreshing is very necessary !!

Pros: good location 5 minute walk from the main square, modern reception/bar area, room was large and clean( but slightly old fashioned) Cons: building work going on from early morning to evening makes it difficult to relax, the pool was large but grubby, breakfast was very poor quality, staff were a mixed bag. Some were great and some were rude and disinterested. All in all, a disappointment and I would not return .

This is a nice enough hotel and has a decent breakfast. I booked a rate that included dinner. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for renovation so they struggled to know what to do. After three attempts to find out from (very friendly) staff, we were taken out to the pool area where the pool bar served food. Very limited menu and the food was just ok. The guy there was very helpful and friendly though. Air con was good. Wifi was good.

I booked this hotel for 4 nights but unfortunately I ended up leaving after 1 night. Check in was slow (despite the hotel being very quiet) and although the room was clean, it was very dated and smelt musty. I was awoken at 8am by very loud banging, drilling and sawing. The hotel, it would seem, is undergoing a much needed renovation. When I booked the hotel I was assured that renovations would be completed by July, some 2 months before my stay. That was not the case. Despite being on the 3rd floor and the opposite end to the building works, the noise was still incredibly loud. Breakfast the next morning was served next to the pool area due to the hotel restaurant being shut for renovation. Access to the pool area involves going down to a basement tunnel, bizarrely. Whilst the idea of an al fresco breakfast sounds quite appealing, the reality was somewhat different. The ‘breakfast buffet' consisted of a trestle table with a toaster, a few pastries and some tinned fruit. None of the food was refrigerated or covered, and the local wasp and fly population seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely. The pool area is relatively small and breakfast was therefore very crowded. There were no seats available when we arrived, and I was advised to sit on a sun lounger to wait until a table became free. The noise of the building work when laying by the pool was pretty bad. The pool itself wasn't hugely appealing: I saw a member of staff hop in the pool and proceed to clean the slimy tiles with cleaning fluid whilst guests were in there swimming. The staff were difficult and unhelpful when I advised I would be checking out early, and the manager refused to meet with me. Fortunately, I booked with Booking.com who were very sympathetic and cancelled the booking immediately after I explained the issues. I left the Best Western and checked into the Grand Hotel, which was superb.

Great location with a short walking distance to the city centre and main avenues. Breakfast by the pool with a relaxed setting. Rooms are great and all in all in line with International standards for real 4 star hotels. Would certainly stay there again

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. It is reasonably well located but the rooms, although clean, are a bit worn. When we visited, they were renovating the hotel restaurants, which meant that you could hear the noise such as drilling sometimes still close to 7 pm which in my view is not acceptable. The ongoing work also meant that the only restaurant/bar open was the one by the pool where the breakfast was served. As the continental breakfast was set by the pool, it attracted lots of wasps. Probably not great for someone who is allergic! The restaurant staff in the morning seemed on top of things but when we visited for lunch, our experience was rather poor. Our waiter did not speak much English, which meant that he had to go and get someone else help him a number of times. They seemed to have only one waiter serving the food which meant that the food was waiting on the counter for quite some time before it was served and our hot food was no longer hot when it was finally brought to our table. When we complained about this, the food was reheated. Although the hotel check-in time is 2 pm, we had to wait almost until 3 pm to get our room. Not all the reception staff were helpful. Although I understand that some of the issues we had were caused by the ongoing refurbishment, I probably would not stay in this hotel again.

This hotel is very poorly managed. My family and I stayed just over one week, occupying 6 rooms. Because I had booked all the rooms myself they were all listed in my name. They couldn't figure out who stayed in which room, despite my offer of assistance before everyone arrived. The rooms were allocated ad hoc - with much confusion on the part of the hotel. The front desk staff are not trained in their job. They lied to us saying they are waiting for paperwork in order to move us to the proper room, but they were just playing for time until their shift is over. It created a lot of inconvenience for us - for eg. (but not including all the other mistakes) - my daughter had to pay my restaurant bill before she left very early morning; someone then came into our room in the middle of the night, turned on our light in order to check the room fridge/ bar use; then our room was checked out at noon, although we were leaving the next day. Overall a total mess. Is there any management apology? No. Is management aware of their own incompetent system? I doubt it. And lastly, the room safe key is a skeleton key, you need to take it with you everywhere. The only bright spot is the pool and the cleaners and restaurant staff. The rest are useless.

Well what can I say!!! Staying at the Congress hotel was one of the best decisions ever made. The hotel was beautiful, the pool was exactly what one needed when in Armenia during the summer, and the staff made our stay as comfortable as possible. But most of all thank you to our concierge Talar! From the minute we met you, you were nothing but kind and helpful. Congress hotel is very lucky to have someone who is not only friendly but also hardworking. If you're staying at the Congress hotel you will not have a single issue if you speak to her !!!

Unfortunately I have got a bad experience with the hotel. It started once I arrived to the hotel - the hotel was under renovation so once I arrived, there was a bad smell of dust everywhere. Being allergic to dust makes it a big thing for me. The breakfast was another thing - since hotel is under renovation, they kept it outside - but since it's a hote summer and breakfast has sweet pastries and jams - you should see how many bees are there! Personally I'm not afraid of bees, but if you try to wave your hands to make them go away, they will attack you! Then, when I tried their lunch at the pool bar (because it was the only open restaurant in the hotel due to renovations) - and I ordered calzone - it looked nice from outside, but from inside it was just a cut sausage with some cheese and that's it! But my adventures didn't stop here. When I was leaving to the airport - they forgot to call transfer to the airport, even though I booked paid in advance early morning and came to confirm that taxi is booked 3 times! So when I came down and it was already 10 mins past the time my taxi was supposed to come - they said the transfer can't come. They quickly ordered another taxi, and told me they will offer it for free for me and return the money for transfer to my credit card. It was nice of them, and it in order to do it, they will cancel first transaction and charge me again for any other payments. The problem is they charged me second time for other payments, but never sent me money back. I'm constantly in touch with them, but no update. So I paid twice for my stay and never got money back for the first payment to my card, almost missed my plane, and so on. Think twice before booking this hotel.

Stayed for few days ( it was a second stay at this hotel); Positive; 1. Breakfasts- high quality + liked breakfasts being arranged at pool side 2. Pool- a good one, big enough, towels are always available. 3. Location is perfect to walk down to Republic square 4. Very friendly personnel What did not like; 1. Refurbishment works still incomplete ( at winter time had a breakfast just next to elevator, so hotel promised to finish the refurbishment till summer, but it is not done on time) 2. Access to pool- very uncomfortable one, going open down through corridors, via gim and so on. 2. The room had no balcony - not comfortable for smokers. If you stay in smoking rooms- the constant tobacco smell is killing even heavy smokers. 3. Even being ****hotel in my opinion it is still something like 3.5 stars

Very happy with the hotel. The pool area was a perfect place to hang out when we weren't touring the sites. The staff was world class. Sargis the concierge was the best. Very helpful and full of great suggestions. As was Talar who was his assistant i think, Poolside food was great. Among the best pizzas you'll ever have. Hotel was well located. Overall, very good experience.

Very bad hotel , breakfast is from 7 am the door was closed . We had a trip that we almost missed . room not clean , towels in the room are not clean .I don't recommend this hotel to anyone . We are very disappointed we heard about the hotel so many times . If they are doing renovations then don't open a 5 star hotel in the meantime .

I want to thank the helpful and friendly staff for making our 2-week stay as comfortable as possible (given that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations). There was ALWAYS a welcoming smile and hello when we walked through the doors and ALWAYS a willingness to help with any question/problem. In particular, Talar went above and beyond to offer help/advice as we planned our day trips and outings!! She gave us maps, called taxis, sent links to sites we were interested in, etc. THANK YOU TALAR - you are amazing!

I am so happy to choose Best Western Congress Hotel that located a few hundred meters from the city center (Republic Square). The breakfast was amazing! Lots of variety and very tasty. Staffs were very kind.

Talar was the most helpful and friendly towards my wife and I. She would always do her absolute best to ensure that we enjoyed our stay in Yerevan. Talar is incredibly hardworking and we were lucky to have met her.

Verry happy we chose to stay at best western hotel its at the prime location which was the best part, the staff is also very cooperative and responsive, the rooms are compact but good for two people. Specially Talar Kechichian who helped us a lot to plan out trip and gave us some good suggestions for site seeing as well as travel.

I hate writing negative reviews, but unfortunately I have to this time. There was one too many issues encountered during my stay at this hotel. It started off during checkin when there wasn't enough computers to accommodate all the guests, so we had to wait almost 30mins before it was our turn. My visit was during the hot summer season, one night, we lost electricity on and off for about an hour, which would shut off the AC and wifi. Another night, I didn't have any hot water in the shower to take a warm bath. The only restaurant in the hotel is located by the pool. If you're there during the busy tourism months, good luck trying to find a spot to sit under the shade. That was also the location of the morning breakfast. The food is mediocre at best, and its infested with bees and flies. The last thing, one night, we had a leak in the bathroom that took a very long time to fix. I tried asking about another room to switch to since we wanted to sleep, but everything was sold out. I will 100% never stay here again, and I don't recommend it to anyone.

We stay in this hotel in Armenia for 4D/3N. Hotel was under renovation wherein breakfast was serve during our 1st day on the hallway and then on the function room for the last 3days..food choices are very limited.Pool was close during that time..anyway it was winter time.However, hotel was very accessible and near to Republic Square.They have friendly staff and very accommodating.Room was small but with complete amenities.

I've been 3 nights at this hotel , the location was perfect, the breakfast was weak for a 4 star hotel !!! Rooms were acceptable. The best thing in this hotel was a swimming pool, it was very clean , beautiful, nice staff, good facilities. In general , I really like to come back to this hotel because of it's nice pool????. I really need to mention and suggest the manager to do something for the smelling and the perfume of the hotel. It could be absorbing ??

It is my firs time in Armenia and i must say that I fell in love with the place, culture, food and people. We booked through Holiday factory and they were great, at first we were not sure which hotel to choose and we are glad to have chosen BEST WESTERN CONGRESS HOTEL, you can walk from the hotel to the main area and have some nice restaurants, the staffs are very helpful and showed us where we can go to eat and where we can get what we needed. The only down side was when we arrive their restaurant was in a minor renovation so the breakfast selection was small, though I loved Armenian cheese so much! hope to come back and I know where to stay already. Can't wait to comeback again. :)

Best Western Congress is a great place in Yerevan. The rooms are served in accordance with the standard. The breakfast is delicious. The pool is a big asset, and most importantly the staff - they make you feel like a sweet home.

Best location in Yerevan with no doubt. Five minute walk to Republic square. Clean, quiet and cozy. There is a little bar, and very good breakfast buffet. A big veriety of cheese and cookies at breakfast. A twenty-minute walk to Noah wine factory you must visit. Do not forget the nice pool.

Hotel wasn't quiet I want change my room because was very noisy but hotel didn't success. Breakfast was good but didn't change everyday Hotel rooms are so clean with kind person. Staffs were very kind, and we could enjoy in Yerevan with their help. Though a road was blockaded by a protest movement on that day, we were able to arrive at the airport without a big problem. At hotel we had got an information about the protest movement, so it was very useful. Thank you, Mr. Sargis!

I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel in yeravan but has nothing special or great that I could say about it. The rooms are very tiny and have no special amenities or anything. I was staying with a child , 3 years old and had no space to even walk around after luggage. They have no room service of there own, no bell desk so you have to carry your own luggage. The breakfasts is very sad and don't even expect a fried egg as they have kitchen on renovation. There is just one couch in the lobby which is full always and so if you are waiting for your room to be done or anything like that you need to stand and wait for the same. The only plus point is it's close to republic square so you can walk there in 10 minutes. I would rather pay more and stay at Marriott yeravan or Hyatt place which are much better.

Both hotel reception teams I met were very friendly and eager to help. I arrived earlier than the generally accepted time for check in but as they had the room ready they allowed me to have it straight away. The room was very generous in size, very clean and with all the equipment's in excellent condition. The bathroom was large, with a large size for the shower. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of choices. Excepting that the reception place was reduced in size I had no discomfort due to the restoration work. I would certainly stay there again.

I faced few issues initially as the hotel is currently undergoing renovations. This wasn't conveyed at the time of booking. However, overall the stay turned out to be pleasant. The location of the hotel was very convenient and gave me an access to the popular historical sites. It was a safe place to stay. The managers were very warm and welcoming. They were more than eager to help.

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which were not noted or shared at the time of our booking. There is no bar or restaurant at the moment. Breakfast is served in what is usually a function / meeting room. The airco is also turned off which meant our room was quite warm. If requesting a room, go for the quiet side of the hotel rather than a city view, as there is really no view. However, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They did all they could given the circumstances. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

It has very good location, patient and helpful staff, very good facilities, and if you are looking for an affordable accommodation with good quality it can be a perfect choice and is highly recommended.

Enjoyed this central hotel very much. Helpful staff and management, computers available and big breakfast buffet with proper coffee. Comfy quiet room and central square few minutes away. Next time during summer months to enjoy the pool.

It was my first visit to Armenia. I liked Yerevan. It is a very beautiful city and people are very warm. My wife booked a room at Congress Hotel. I liked hotel location very much. There were lots of shops nearby the hotel. The staff was very friendly, communicative and helpful. Housekeeping service was very good. People of reception were very kind and fast. Though the hotel was being renovated and they did not have a kitchen, they served breakfast. I liked it. Gym was well equipped and not overcrowded. My room had a pool view, which was so nice, I imagine that in summer it will be more beautiful.

Location is very good. I liked the staff, they were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very fresh. My room was very clean and light. The hotel is being renovated and I am looking forward to see their new interior. I used to have a dinner in Raffaello restaurant during my visits Yerevan, but this time it was closed because of renovation.

Location is very good, very close to Republic Square and National Gallery. Breakfast was light but tasty. Most of all I liked service and staff. People working in front desk were very kind and friendly. No problems during check in and check out. The hotel was doing renovation, but I never heard any noise. Fitness is very clean and well equipped. My room was very clean, and had a very beautiful view to the city and gardens. Recommended!!!

My wife and I spent our vacation in Armenia. Yerevan is a very sunny city, people are very kind. We chose Congress Hotel because of its good location: Republic Square is not very far from the hotel: just a 5-minute walk. There are lots of shops in that area, so we didn't have to take a taxi to go shopping. We liked the hotel staff very much. They were very friendly. Breakfast was fresh, but food variety was poor. Our room was small but clean. Housekeeping service was excellent. But the hotel seemed to be old. I am going to choose this hotel to stay in again in Summer.

Great location, very close to Republic Square and Northern Avenue. Most of all I liked the staff. They were very friendly, especially Arusik, the girl at the reception. She was a very interesting and communicative person. The reception staff recommended me some museums to visit, I liked those museums very much. Though the hotel was being renovated during my stay, I felt very comfortable. No noise disturbed me. I am looking forward to seeing the hotel after the renovation. I will recommend this hotel to my friends who are going to visit Yerevan.

Armenia is a nice country. I was surprise to find inside the country a lot of place to visit. The republic square is not so far from the congress hotel and there you canwalk and found restaurants and other attractions. Going outside from the hotel on the corner there is an mamazing local restaurant where an old man ( owner) will guide you in the typical dishes.

While we were here the hotel was renovating the restaurant and due to that the breakfast was served in the hall!! And you should take it to your room!! The room service is just bad and always late and firhot something, there is no lobby or bar I will never try it again or suggest it, Our room does not have safe!! And too small

We were a group of 3 who stayed here for 5 nights and on the whole we had a very pleasant stay. The staff are very courteous and helpful and that would be this hotel's greatest asset. The rooms are well maintained and housekeeping do a splendid job of keeping the place clean. It's also centrally located with easy access to popular streets like the Northern Avenue, Republic Square, Cascades etc. We booked an executive double room which though cosy, could have been a little more spacious. Sadly, the hotel was swamped with tourists in the middle of our stay resulting in a not so pleasant breakfast experience as it just wasn't sufficient. I felt bad for the staff who had to face the brunt of angry guests when operations should have ensured that sufficient breakfast was available as per room bookings. But hopefully they are better prepared next time. Based on the above, this deserves a rating of 3 but the extra point is for the friendly and competent staff.

My wife was invited to participate in a hard science conference. I went along assuming I'd spend my time with a friend of mine who, unfortunately for me, was to be in Georgia while I was there. I found myself at the mercy of an organized tour set up for the scientists and guests. The whole time there was stunningly beautiful to the eye and captivating to the imagination and that part of you that hungers for illumination. I have a zillion cool stories. Best one of the hotel is being awake as the sun came up and out the window was Ararat in all its indescribable glory. Right out there to see! The hotel was comfortable and the staff friendly, helpful and able to deal with some American who simply happened to be there. In all fairness I was already a huge fan of Armenian folk music and dance.

The staff here make the hotel what it is. They are better than excellent. They think ahead and are proactive. They know that if you are going home you might want to settle the bill the night before to save time in the early hours of the morning. Small details but they think about it. Breakfast is great with very friendly staff who will offer to make you a traditional Lavash if they see you looking uncertainly at the mountain of raw herbs and cheeses... Conference facility is good.

Hotel staff are very friendly.. they will assist you as much as they can.. they also offer free map and show to you the way to supermarket, restaurants etc.. breakfast was awesome .. the bacon is superb, and fresh juices and variety of cheese.. the place is located just 3 minutes away from everything that you will need, restaurants, pub, supermarket, compare to other hotel.. I suggest to choose this hotel... oooppss special mention here the front desk which is very helpful and friendly.. I will definitely gonna recommend this to my other friends who's planning to travel armenia

Hotel located near to the city center which you will walk up to 10 min to Republic square. Reception was good. Critical part is that the housekeeping service was quite bad that sometimes you will find the stuffs such as sheets towels haven't changed at all. Also there are no single use toothbrush, toothpaste and or any other stuffs. Pools didn't work during my stay /maybe because of cold weather/. But the breakfast was actually good.

This is a conveniently located hotel on a tree lined street near Republic Square. Has all the amenities and a friendly staff. Food is very good and the small bar serves a variety of drinks. Gift shop small.

This hotel was booked by our tour operator. The location was excellent and only a block from Republic Square. The staff were very helpful and friendly during our stay, we would definitely recommend this hotel as a very good choice.

The hotel is in walking distance to the square. The staff was kind and helpfull and brought extra towels and hangers. You were recognized when entered the hotel, and the ladies in the little shop were very helpfull and honest. Just one morning they were out of butter...

This hotel is located in the heart of the city, in the walking distance from most important sites of the city. Has a lovely pool, which is very refreshing during the hot days of summer. The crew is extremely friendly and very helpful. They go the extra mile to accommodate your needs, whatever they might be. It's impossible to list the names of all hotel employees who served us, but wanted to mention a couple of names. Karapet Galfayan, Deputy Manager; Arusyak and Narek at the front desk; Ruzanna and Gayane, the cleaning ladies; and so many others. They all made our stay very enjoyable. Can't wait to go back in the future.

This Best Western hotel is conveniently located one block down a tree lined street from Republic Square which is the center of Yerevan. From the square you can access most of the main streets in Yerevan including Abovyan and Amiryan which are full of shops and restaurants. From Abovyan you can access the new Northern Avenue which is a pedestrian only shopping street. The buffet breakfast which comes with your room has many selections including the egg and meat dishes Americans like. The desk staff generally knows English and is helpful.

I was here last winter 2016. Due to some issues with our travel agent, we were booked to an early flight,hence we arrived in Yerevan hours before the usual check in time. I appreciated their frontliners who made the extra mile and made it possible for us to have an early check in. We were even treated with a complimentary buffet breakfast though we have not officially check in as they prepared our room. I personally love their breakfast, wide choices, from fresh fruits, juices, cold cuts, home made jams and bread, staff are friendly and speaks English well. Rooms are well maintained, especially love their heater was functioning well and kept me and my travel buddy warm as it was hitting negative degrees outside. If you like quiet neighborhood but stil close to republic square, shopping area etc, and if you want to go for a 4 star hotel with deluxe customer service, this is the hotel for you.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel from Sep 8-16th and it was my first visit to Armenia. I had emailed Emmma, the reservation person, and we finally agreed that I would be staying at the facility with my family for 8 days. Once we arrived after our second day, i was told that I would have to leave the hotel and find another place for the evening and then come back and then in 2 days due the same thing for a night etc. We had words with 4 of the front staff (all in Armenian) and there was NO way I was going to go to another hotel and come back etc. After 30 min of back and forth they decided to place us in another room. Never once was there an apology for the inconvenience. I finally received an email from Emma stating what my total was and she had forgotten to add the 2 night so I was under the impression that we were getting 2 nights for free for the misunderstanding. On our last day we apprached her and like a typical Armenian there was no smile or any sort of apology for her mistake. She agreed to provide us with one night for free. I should not have asked for that. That should have been offered as a courtesy. One thing you'll realize is that customer service does NOT exist in Armenia. No one smiles, and very seldom do people actually greet you. I approached the guest relations manager and told him all of the above and we did receive a gift basked and a bottle of wine along with a letter. Again, I shouldnt have to approach them and let them know how to do their job which is called "customer service". Housekeeping, staff at the bar were all very nice but just be very careful about all the expenses etc. Make sure you read it and ask 10x to be clear and keep all of your documentation. Didnt leave with the best impression and I'm not sure if I'd be eager to go back.

The hotel is located close to the city centre. The front side looks over a park while the back side has city view with Mt Ararat looming at the background. The staff is friendly and helpful....most except for the housekeeping staff interact in English. Breakfast has a good spread with local specialities. I was in a conference and the lunch meals were delicious. The hotel is well placed to walk around and explore the city.

Very basic hotel. Cons: Shower was dirty and water took a long time to drain. Pros: within walking distance of everything you need in downtown Yerevan. Great price. God breakfast. Currency exchange located in hotel.

One of the best hotels I have ever visited. We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 pm, they gave us early check in for free due to availability. It's located near the center of Yerevan. Rooms are clean, and housekeeping service is very good and always ready. Breakfast is generous and has good food variety. Highly professional and knowledgeable staff. Proficient in english and friendly too. Special thanks to Hayk and Arsen, and to all the hotel team. I will definitely visit it again.

Rooms kept clean , service always available when needed .Lobby manager was helpful when needed . Nice size swimming pool . Service desk available 24 hrs. One advice, arrange your own Airport transportation going back home , prices differ from service desk , especially for more than 2 passengers !

In a very good place, near the center of Yerevan. Excellent service and polite stuff. The breakfast was perfect (for lunch or dinner I can't tell). The room was very clean. The reseption was very kind and always in a good mood.

The hotel is located just a few blocks from the Dancing Fountain. Upon arrival, the lobby was unusually warm. They provided us with a card to get us complimentary drinks. When we went to our floor, the outside hallway area smelled like feet. The room was small but good enough for a short stay. The double bed is a bit small for two adults, but the bed is comfortable. The pool was nice, and it is a good size. We ate at the Italinan restaurant. The pizza was reasonably priced, and it tasted okay. I recommend that they clean the carpet to avoid the stench.

We took a voucher from Holiday Factory who booked us the flights and hotel. After a full night of travel, we got here at 6am and the reception staff were very impolite. Very bad service on arrival, refuse early check in, excuse was no rooms available which was a lie! The staff is very unfriendly, guy named Hayk and manager Emba had terrible attitude! Please do not choose, definitely not if you're using holiday factory. You will be sat in the lobby for 8 hours with no one to bother!.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel, near republic square for 10 days. The staff, particularly the concierge, were wonderful! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to all of the main spots in Yerevan. The pool was a great place to relax after a long day of walking. Next door was a lovely park! I would absolutely stay here again!

The rooms are simplistic and elegant. Great cleanliness and amazing views to offer! The service is phenomenal. That includes room service, front desk service, restaurant service. Everything. The staff is very friendly, warm, welcoming and enthusiastic. They really make you feel like they genuinely care about your visit to Yerevan and go out of their way to make sure that you feel welcome and entertained. They have a beautiful pool with different kinds of tanning as well as seating areas. So whatever your preference is, there will be a spot for you to enjoy and relax. The in-house restaurant has a great vibe and the pizza is absolutely delicious. They have a great fitness center that is very clean and offers a great variety of workout equipment. The location is absolutely great. You can walk everywhere in Yerevan or take a taxi right outside of the lobby for your convenience. What I also really enjoyed were all the beautiful parks just right next door or across the street. This has been one of my best hotel experiences and I will definitely be returning! And hopefully become a regular visitor.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely hotel for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience. first of all I have to mention its friendly and hospitable staffs. The man who works at the reception center help us to go some fantastic places in Yerevan. Moreover, the hotel has its own swimming pool and a big restaurant. Nothing could invigorate us like that pool. It was super awesome:)) also the breakfasts were diverse and delicious. I seriously suggest this hotel for all nations.

We booked this hotel from Holiday Factory for 1,699 Aed inclusive of airfare and accommodation for 4days and 3 nights. Airport pickup and drop off were also included. Best Western Congress was a great hotel, situated in the heart of Yerevan. The staff were nice, they keep your room clean, when we sent our clothes for laundry, we were impressed by how they kept it clean and ironed. Buffet breakfast was fantastic. Just in case you are quite sensitive with pork being served, just let them know. Republic Square is just 10mins away. A friend reached Cascade Complex by foot in about 15-20 mins. There are nearby restaurants where you can try Armenian Cuisines like TUMANYAN PANDOK, other restaurants like Black Angus is just a few blocks away. There are also museums close by. We paid a cab for 1000 Armenian dram or 2$ that was just around Yerevan, just in case you are not fond of walking. This hotel is a 5/5 for me.

our had a 3 day stay there and organised a seminar in one of the halls. Everything was well organized, clean neat and tasty. Can't say more, we got exactly what we were promised. Very convenient for all type of business activities.

This have been my third visit to Yerevan. All three times I stayed at this wonderful hotel. I was informed àbout this great place by my college. It is very close to almost every operatonal part of the city and after long woking day it is just a hospitable home. I am very much contented with my choice. The management is so lucky to have such a professional staff. Besides, their kitchen is very delicious_ somelier offers great wines with an appropriate food. THey have all necessary facilities and soon the Open Air Swimming Pool will be opened - just a dream for evening time. I will be back and I recommend it to who value their comfort.

Traveled with business trip in June. Place was really nice clean and comfy. can't say anything bad. rooms were nice and food was also fine. this is in the center of main square of Yerevan, the location was best! views from the room was fine but not best! recommended.

Had a very interesting and active vacation in Yerevan. Visitied a lot of sihtseeings and even had a flight on Paraplan which gave me an opportunity to see the beauty of Armenian nature from the high. At the same time hotel staff helped me much during my stay. The Concierge whose name was Sargis organized for me a tour to Tsahkadzor where I jumpped from zipline and also he helped me much during my stay.In the hotel I enjoyed the stake with wine souce at the restaurant and it was nice to see that the staff is always ready to help. For sure there were some lacks but all in all in it is a good and comfortable place to visit. For sure will go there also in Summer to enjoy the beauty of lake Sevan.

I had a great holidays in Armenia. From the beginning it was a business trip but after I had 3 more free days to stay there. For these 3 days I want to thank the hotel staff who are very friendly, professional and accompanied me during my stay especially Mr. Madoyan was very helpful ;) It's a pity that I met there well known Martin Scorsese but I couldn't grab a photo with him cause his managers didn't allow me. I enjoyed my stay and liked the atmosphere of the hotel and its staff. Very helpful, friendly and smiling. It was nice to go to gym early in the morning and then enjoy breakfast which gave me an opportunity to have my beloved fresh friuts after gym and coffee with homemade cookies in the morning. I enjoyed my stay fully and will go there for sure in summer when the pool will be open.

Hotel Staffs are very friendly, helpful & courteous. We arrived early morning and they allowed us to leave our baggages without any charges. Cleaning service staff was very accommodating with our requests as well. Foods during breakfast buffet are plenty and very tasty. Free Wi-Fi all around the hotel.

I spend 2 night here on business and I am to say that everything was excellent. The location of the hotel is very close to my destination, as well as it is in the center of the city. The hotel room is not so big, but it is very comfortable and has all the amenities needed. Staff is very helpful and quick in replying to the questions. They have organized my transfer from the hotel and also helped me with my early breakfast. This is the only hotel, where the check out process was done in 3 minutes. I really will recommend this hotel for business trips.

Excellent hotel!! Extremely clean. Front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast area is spacious and one of the best in a Yerevan I have experienced. This stay was during several events in city and they handled groups well. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Good value for the cost.

I stayed for 14 days and it was a great experience. Hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly. The place was so cozy and clean. The food from Their restaurant was excellent. And they have a 24 hour Venice bar. They also have gym, pool and sauna and they have money exchange. The place is accessible to restaurant supermarket and to the republic square. The room was spacious the bed was so comfy which most of the time i just want to stay on it the whole day. Toiletries are provided and they always make sure that your room is always clean. And after a tiring day from your tour you can have a nice massage (excellent lady masseur) from their health club. I will highly recommend Congress hotel to those who want to have a great vacation in Yerevan. I totally recommend this hotel for tourists. I lived here for 1 week and it was cool! Thank you Congress Hotel for your professional and friendly staff and of course for you delicious breakfast! Hope to visit you asap!

It's clean. The staff are friendly. But don't expect too much more. The service provided in the bedroom is less than adequate and the food in the restaurant is mainly meat based, often with no vegetarian alternative. Also, the hotel can be very noisy. All of the delegates attending our conference complained that they woke up sweating every night as the air con does not work. That created some problems as delegates became irritable during their stay.

It's was really good & amazing visiting the place of Yerevan & staying at congress very accessible for everything. Thank you so much to those hotel staff who made it memorable holiday, from housekeeping, bartender, front office, breakfast staff & especially Ms. Lilit in the front office. Thank you so much. Arrived during the night and it was nice to have food available in the bar that late. Liked it very much. Very helpful staff and cozy atmosphere. Comfortable room and clean. Liked massage service very much it was very professional. Will visit again when back to Yerevan.

It was a dinner with colleges after grand opening of our office. Most of the guests left early and half of the tables were free after an hour. After the president's leave the service became terrible. Servants were laughing and talking next to us. They started to move furniture from the hall very, very loudly. The noise was so horrible that we even couldn't hear each other. They left the door open in a cold weather. I will never visit this place after it, there was no respect to their customers.

Stayed here several times over the years and always found it to be a top notch business hotel. Service is professional and very helpful. The restaurant is also convenient and provides a wide variety of options. There breakfast were always plentiful and varied. The rooms are clean and comfortable and can be a good place to get some work done. Located just a short walk from the center activities in Yeravan. Easy access to airport via taxi too. Trip Advisor requested some advice on a great place to stay and I havent been there within the time lines options so don't know if this will work....

Location's great! Close to all the popular places. Hotel rooms very clean and staff really nice. Hotel Restaurants are amazing. There's a massage room, tanning room, outdoor pool with great space. Overall a great experience.

Congress Hotel is a super nice hotel with good rooms, good and friendly staff. The restaurant is very good with acceptable prices and the nicest staff. I have spent 7 weeks over the last year on the hotel and I will come again?????

The Best Western Congress in Yerevan is located very close to the Republic Square and is an average hotel for a "big chain". Some specifics to note: Breakfast is a HUGE spread and should appeal to all, some rooms are smoking so make sure to specify a non-smoking room if you need it (smoking rooms are obviously used often), on the same theme, the lobby/bar gets very smoky in the evenings. There is a currency exchange that opens at 9am in the lobby and also an ATM. A full menu is available until 11pm in case you don't feel like leaving the hotel - options include sandwiches and pizza so you can also take a break from Armenian food if you are so inclined. Rooms were small but very comfortable and the shower has plentiful hot water and good pressure. You can find places close by that are less expensive but the BW is good for all of the conveniences.

We had a super stay in this hotel. Warm hospitality and an excellent location. Mr. Karapet was kind enough to send us a bottle of wine and fruits for our anniversary to our room. He ensured the staff took great care of us. A special mention about Lilit at the Reception, always smiling and so very helpful. Lioni, the breakfast supervisor was so efficient and polite. Always willing to get your a refill. The breakfast spread was superb. The rooms most comfortable and well maintained. Would surely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yerevan.

You will not be dissapointed when you stay at the Best Western Congress Hotel Yerevan. Don't be mistaken about the name. The hotel is not only for congresses and conventions, but perfect for leisure and holidays. It was our first trip to Yerevan and we stayed four nights. We had a room on the upper floors facing northwest, enabling us to enjoy the magnificent Mountain View in the horizon. The backside is overlooking the pool area and the English Park. The room standard is already high, but the hotel is planning a renovation to make the standard even higher. There are many reasons to book your stay here. Here are four good ones: 1. Friendliness The entire staff is extremely friendly, motivated, professional and really, service minded. Upon arrival by car, although a large wedding party occupied the entire street, the staff quickly organised a parking space in front of the entrance. The staff responded instantly to all our needs and requirements – with a smile. 2. Location The hotel is located centrally in downtown Yerevan right next to the English Park. All attractions and shopping areas are within a short walking distance. Parking is possible in front of the main entrance. 3. Pool area Probably the Congress Hotel has one of the best outdoor pool areas in Yerevan. Large pool, nicely decorated surroundings and top class Italian made sunbeds – not those hard and ugly white plastic sunbeds you might have experienced elsewhere. There are plenty of large, soft black pool towels. 4. Breakfast The breakfast is outstanding. The selection is impressive and the quality high. There are four buffets with different choices. Hot breakfast, international breakfast, Armenian specialities and charcuterie/cheese. After this breakfast, you are ready to skip lunch. The Congress Hotel receives our top marks for the ability to make our stay very comfortable and truly enjoyable.

It's a very nice hotel ,it's located in the center of yerevan, it is the best place to stay for an easy access to touristics places, although it is in the center of the city but yet in a very calm street. The staff are friendly and helpful especially the concierge coordinator "sargis sargsyan" Who helped us a lot.

Maybe giving this hotel 3/5 is not fair, but these grades are in some way relative or biased. Going to Armenia, which is a very "cheap" destination, I thought this would be a "really fancy" hotel, considering its price. Everything was "fine" with the hotel, but it was very far from being "fancy". Clean. Has a nice pool (didn't get to use it - was closed on the only day I could have, since they had a wedding or some other big loud party with a rock band), and a relatively large gym. The breakfast wasn't bad, consisting of quite a few local specialties (which was nice to get a taste of Armenian cuisine). The room was clean. So I guess I shouldn't complain. But the small things were annoying. The water pressure in the shower was weak. The elevator was so slow that I often found myself walking (at least down) five stories. The reception was slow. That pool party was loud and uncalled for. And there was this "old" feeling about the place. Don't know. We saw some of the other hotels that looked ultra fancy from the outside and weren't much more expensive, and we thought we probably could have gone for one of them...

I stayed at Congress Hotel for 3 days. First of all I want to mention the excellent location which was really important for me (as I was staying for business), it is located in the city centre, so you can reach the Republic Square in 3-5 minutes by walk.The second advantage is for sure my lovely RAFFAELLO!!!Good and helpful staff and unforgettable tasty Italian and Armenian cuisine. And my overall opinion is very good. I will definitely choose Congress next time, for its' proffessional and friendly staff, for the price and for location. P.S. And the open-air pool is just a miracle.))

We had satisfactory stay at The Best Western Congress Hotel and obviously the beautiful city Yerevan. The city has a lot to offer for sight seeings, family outings, plus of course their finest cuisine at Restaurant call Beer Academy. We would suggest that Must experience the world's longest rope-way cable car plus all the Ancient In Tact Monasteries for calmness purposes with that felt some kind of spirituality. The country has vast prehistoric untouched areas which are covered with beautiful Mountains (A special Masimi mountain in Yerevan), plus greenery - all were so worthy to visit for appreciating our nature's sheer beauty. So we will highly recommend Armenia to explore more for their entire surroundings as country has old country traditions with modern curves.

We have stayed here for the first time with my wife. Our room was in the 6th floor and every morning we had an opportunity to admire the beauty of the mount Ararat and swimming pool of the hotel. The service was very good , they even gave us a bottle of Armenian champagne and cake as we were celebrating our anniversary. The pool and fitness area are good they just need some new equipment and some freshness. Breakfast was very delicious my wife loved Armenian cheeses very much. They have a great concierge whose name was SARGIS who approached us every time we need a help and gave us information we need. The staff was very polite and smiling. Definitely will go again !

I received a nice room with a balcony. I liked it. During the hot day I went to an outdoor swimming pool. It was so nice. The girls at the reception were nice, professional and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast.

At first I need to appreciate for hotel management cooperation regarding my online payment issue. Best Western Congress hotel is a clean hotel, in one word. The location is great and close to republic square and also the staffs were kind and helpful. But, I expected to have a bigger room based on Hotel website's photos, it was not. After check in, no one helped us for carrying luggage, I have not seen such welcome from any other 4 star hotels. I can say that this hotel is a good hotel but could be better.

Totally recommended! ?? With a marvelous swimming pool and tidy clean rooms. 5 minutes from the shopping district with plenty of restaurants and shops. Nearby is the romantic couples park for all you love birds.

The reception was not welcoming, the key did not work so we had to return to the reception, a cleaner burst into our room as we were changing, at 9 25am a cleaner came knocking on our door. It is Sunday! The pillows are so bulky I had to sleep without one, the duvet is heavy even though it is 30+ degrees outside and no I do not like air conditioning. We requested a quiet room with pool or mountain view. We could not open the window because of traffic noise, the police sirens woke us up twice during the night. The bathroom is old and in need of a thorough clean and upgrade. On entering the pool there was no one to give towels or explain where everything is. Eventually having taken towels from the health club we were told to take them from the life guard - we did not see one during the whole afternoon and kids were in the pool. We wondered around to pool to find a pile of towels left unattended, the towel had a hole in it. This was a special visit to celebrate our anniversary, the only good thing I can say about this hotel is the bed is very comfortable but with no pillow even that was spoiled.

We had stayed in congress hotel for 4 nights.The location is in the city centre.the staff were nice and so helpful.The swimming pool was fine,actually it is fine in summer,on the other hand gym was equipped with appropriate fasilities.The weakness of this hotel is the room size,especially for family it is not comfortable enough.At the end I recommend it to Yerevan visitors.

An old fashion character of the hotel makes it very peaceful and attractive. The pool makes this hotel a really paradisiacal place. Staff is professional and cordial. After driving off road four three days this place was an oasis. I checked in the straight into the loverly pool. Hotel was very clean & spacious the staff could not do enough for us very helpful people. We will visit again

I stayed with my husband in May 2016 during our first trip to Armenia. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It has a perfect location near Republic Square, at a walking distance from all major attractions in the city. The staff is very friendly and also recommended us a guide for out city tours. The breakfast buffet was nice however quality of few items can be improved. Our Guide Anna showed the beautiful country and we have even recommended her to our friends. She was extremely professional and had a very good knowledge about the culture and history of Armenia. We will definitely be back..

The hotel is very well located, the street is beautiful and calm, near the Republic square. the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Facilities are complete and convenient. The breakfast is great. Swimming pool and pool bar are great. The staff are nice and helpful. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.

We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers, none of the rooms would accommodate us since the rooms were small. Three in one room is max (very tight). We had to change our executive room to two rooms. The executive room was slightly bigger. I don't recommend this hotel if you are a family of three or more. The higher level rooms in the back (not the street side) had a good view of mount Ararat. Staff was very friendly and helpful, though we did not use the swimming pool, it was clean and well organized. Next trip to Armenia I would take a change and rent an apartment through "HyurService.com".

My mum and i enjoyed our one week stay in this beautiful, clean and friendly hotel. The hotel has an easy access to all places in Yerevan. I used to jog everyday in the nearby garden and have mum walk in the fresh oxygen. We spent our mornings at its clean pool and were pampered by the friendly pool's staff that speaks english well ( specially Sona Khatchadurian, Vrej, Lioni, Garo, Ada...my mum's favorites). I used the gym and sauna almost everyday.Breakfast / food at the pool was very tasty, affordable and includes healthy options prepared by an Italian chef & team. The hotel organized a nice party and invited all in-house guests including the staff, so we all spent a nice evening dancing, singing and eating Italian food. My mum & I would like to thank Tereza Baghdaserian, management and the whole team for their outstanding hospitality specially their superstar concierge Sarkis Sarkisian who i am sure he wawos all his guests with his beautiful happy spirit and real concierge attitude ( he is a real facilitator and speaks English well ) Not to forget the professional reception,housekeeping ( Luisine Vartamian) & security team, who made us feel at home:) I live in Dubai and i appreciate the great hotels with professional concierge service, hence i highly recommend the Congress Hotel to all my friends and everyone who wants to visit Armenia:)

People in this hotel are friendly and good. But there are some items that I didn't like about this hotel: 1- small lobby 2- There are some rooms facing to a wall, be aware of not getting such a rooms. 3- Some rooms are not soundproof, in one of the rooms that I was I could here street noises and next rooms phone ringing. 4- There are fly in the breakfast area 5- My rooms didn't have any window net. So if you intend to open the window you'd accompanied by bugs and insects in your room. 6- Air condition is good. 7- The pool is good and the water is clean. 8- Beds are good and comfortable. 9- You can watch local Armenia TV for free. 10- The internet is sometimes so good and sometimes terrible. (Depending on the time of the day) 11- Maids are so good. 12- Restaurants foods are not that good for the price, specially if you get Italian foods. I once got the trout fillet which was so good. 13- I don't suggest you hotel tours, I used to think that hotel tours should be the best and cheapest but I was wrong. They are so expensive in comparison to the other tours. 14- The staffs are willing to help you anytime. 15- When you get to the room you can't find any comb, cotton swabs, tooth brush and paste. If you need any you should call them! 16- the location of hotel is so good. 18- If you want to get a room emphasis to get a room facing to the pool. Otherwise street noise would bother you. 19- I would say this hotel is an economy 4 star hotel. So you shouldn't expect to see the standards of a 4 star hotel here. 20- If you are an impatient person here wouldn't be a good solution for you. Not only in the hotel but everywhere in Armenia the waiting time to get a service is long. I think people her are so relax in doing their works. not like USA. 21- In restaurant smoking is free like everywhere in Armenia.I also think there is no drinking rules like USA here.

Its a nice, cozy and easy hotel walkable to the downtown area..its very clean, crew were very helpful and informative, good spread of fresh fruits and cheese for breakfast buffet with a big swimming pool. It has a small bar at the lobby with a good selection of drinks. I enjoyed this place.

Best western congress hotel is located in a nice location in the center of the city near the famous and lively Republic Square. The staff are friendly and helpful . The breakfast is good. The only concern is that the rooms and reception are small and some services like spa is expensive comparing to other cities outside yerevan , all other things are perfect .

I stayed there for eight nights with my husband and in short the hotel is Ok but they are slipping. The pros: - The location is fantastic. It is in the center, yet it has all the parks around so guests have some peace. - The breakfast is really nice and loved the table of Armenian breakfast items in the morning that included all the dairy products, dried beef and fruit in addition to the walnut jam. I just wished they marked it so that customers know what they are having and appreciate it even more. That was my favorite part. -The quality of bed is great as expected. - They have a decent pool at the premises that they also open to customers from the outside so it can be a little crowded on weekend days. - Most of the staff is really nice. I especially liked both bar tenders as they made excellent espresso. The girls that worked the breakfast are really great. - The restaurant in the hotel makes good food and really good pizza. We had lunch from there on couple occasions as we didn't feel like going anywhere. The cons: - The room cleaning is bad. When we checked in the room didn't have two sets of towels or toiletries. We stayed there for eight nights and they never cleaned under the bed or changed the bed sheets. We found the the bathroom heating turned on twice because the bathroom heater is used as a towel rack and they turn it as they put the towels on. We found notes from a previous guest in the room because the housekeeping never checked it. - The furnishings in the entire hotel are outdated - The hotel closes the pool for guests and rents it out for loud weddings. The night we arrived they closed the pool and had a weeding followed by a loud DJ, dancing and fire works literally under our windows. Despite of this I would stay at the hotel again.

Excellent hotel. The swimming pool is the best in Yerevan, with a really nice atmosphere. It has a very good bar with great coctails. Stay away frpm the cappucino though, which is extremely expensive. The hotel is situated within Walking distance from Republic Square.

This hotel has good view and very close to haraparak the main square of city you can go every where by walking it has good pools friendly staff good breakfast and you will be enjoy .we stayed 5 nights in congress but one time they coming for cleaning and not any welcoming drink nor help to carry suitcases even in checkout.

I found Congress hotel very amazing and advise everyone to stay there when visiting Armenia. I liked the service, professionalism of the staff. As well as this its location is very convenient for tourists as it is situated in the center of the city.

i arrived Yerevan with my friends without having a reservation. We were walking in the center and found out this hotel. Reception staff helped me to get a room. They were very friendly and helpful. I liked also the breakfast buffet. The only thing i didn't like is the size of room. I stayed in the room with my two friends and the space was not enough for us!!

At the first sight, I just said to myself "the pictures look much better than the reality". I will not complain about the service and the staff because they were very friendly and cooperative. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel is very close to the republic square which is the heart of the city. I was satisfied in general but if you poan to stay there do not expect a luxury 4 or 5 star hotel. Just an average, comfortable and clean place to stay a few days.

Sadly I feel compelled to write this review. Over the last several years we have stayed frequently in this hotel a place that we both looked forward to visiting and enjoyed staying in, a warm welcome and genuinely friendly staff. Sadly that is no longer the case Something like 70% of the staff have changed recently and the change is not for the better for the most part they are disinterested in the guests (the staff at the pool do a particularly good line in studiously ignoring you) they'd rather be chattering amongst themselves, tapping away on smartphones or loitering outside smoking (in sight of guests which never used to happen). They are poorly trained and genuinely don't seem to know what they are supposed to be doing a lot of the time (although there seems to be plenty of “supervisors”). The overall impression is not welcoming at all especially given the large amount of “Security” that seems to be everywhere lurking in reception, going through the housekeeper's carts in full view of the guests, it is rather more reminiscent of Soviet Era Moscow than Yerevan in 2016! The service in the restaurant is slow and breakfast is chaotic at best – the food however is still good. The rooms desperately need an overhaul they are starting to look very shabby indeed – especially as this claims to be a 4 star hotel. There are still a few shining stars amongst the staff and a few rising stars too so a shout out to Carlos, Qnarik, Ani N, Ani G, Davit I, Lusine, Lilit, Emma T, Tatev and Tigran M (with apologies for any misspelled names) and special mention to some of the cleaning ladies who have been there for quite some time – for your efforts. But all in all a terribly disappointing visit. If it wasn't for the pool (when it's not closed) the hotel would universally be considered a good 2 star hotel at best.

This hotel is located just 5 mints walking to the Republica square(center). The staffs so nice and very supportive especially Shushan. This is hard job for choosing the best hotel between many good resorts in Yerevan.However, this hotel have a nice pool that other nice places such as Republica and Paris hotels dont have it. Fortunately, during my stay, Hotel established a pool party for their staffs and hotel invited all guests also. This kind of happy moment repeats again if you would be lucky during your stay. you will not regret if choose this high class hotel. Poorya

my first time trip to Yerevan, I booked this hotel through internet based on my research and comments found at website of trip advisor. the Hotel between two parks which you see a lots of green and nature,just few minutes walk to big republic square. breakfast was great and room clean and well kept. I stayed here 4 nights and sure if in Yerevan again, I will stay at this hotel. free wifi with good speed and nice pool is also good point about this hotel.

I only stayed at this hotel for my last night in Armenia. It was clean, convenient, accommodating and very close to the airport. It made getting to my early morning flight easy. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for something convenient to the airport.

Although not a luxury hotel, the Congress has many of the attributes without the steep price. Rooms are nice; not terribly large, but clean and modern, and the ones on the front side have balconies (one morning I was able to see Mt. Ararat from my 6th floor balcony!), while the rooms on the back side, overlooking the pool, are a bit quieter. Easy walking distance to most important tourist sites. What really makes this hotel is the standout staff, from reception to the business desk, to the restaurant, to the cleaning staff, which makes it clear that the hotel has excellent management that takes care to train staff thoroughly. As a solo traveller on my first visit to Yerevan, without any Armenian language, I particularly relied upon, and appreciated the warmth, helpfulness and efficiency of the staff. Breakfast was excellent, served in a pleasant, sunny room with a great selection. Rafaello, the attached Italian restaurant, was unusually good, set in a lovely indoor/outdoor space, with beautifully prepared food and perfect service. The fitness center includes a range of very affordable and highly competent services; I opted for a foot massage, and basically got a full-body massage that removed every ache and pain from my tired self. I don't ordinarily stay at chain hotels, but this one was just super!

The hotel is conveniently located on the way from the airport to the heart of Yerevan. Its staff is very friendly, multilingual and ready to attend your needs. Breakfast was good and rich in choice and the restaurant is nicely suited for it. Free Wi-Fi is reliable. The hotel is within a walking distance from the central square of Yerevan with all its nightlife and entertainment. I highly recommend the hotel for business travellers to Yerevan.

Nice above average hotel. The service was very good and professional. The rooms were clean but I never like "split king" beds - I always find myself falling between the two single mattresses. Anyway, the breakfast was decent - lots of healthy choices, not much in the way of "hot'' food though. Hotel very centrally located. Reasonably priced. The attached restaurant (mostly Italian food) was amazing! (see separate review for Raffaelo's).

Three blocks from the museum, flea market, excellent restaurants. The rooms are nicely appointed, everything works. WiFi and TV good. Breakfasts are excellent !!! Front desk staff are extremely helpful, bartender as well.

I stayed at the Congress Hotel for 2 weeks, and when I checked out I left stuff in a drawer and my slippers beside the bed! The stuff in the drawer included a gift for my sister in Rome - the next stop in my itinerary. I realised my mistake and emailed the hotel from Kiev Airport. Now, 2 months later, I am back in Yerevan. All my possessions were neatly packaged, ready for me. And when I couldn't sleep because of the winter-weight bed covers, replacement bedding was provided almost before I put down the 'phone. I give top marks to the staff for their efficiency, courtesy and helpfulness.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! and yes, that is right! My work trip got so much better with the breakfast of this hotel, great food, professional staff and always ready to help you in every occasion, from the check-in to the check-out! And I could say that breakfast was my delightful start of the day for about a week, I loved it! I had couple of chance to eat in the "Raffaello restaurant" with my colleagues and since the beginning the care and professionalism made me feel special. The kitchen is another strong point, italian dishes like lasagna, pasta and a tasty pizza are at their best here. I had two times pizza in hotel and I could feel like in Italy... The location it's very nice, in the center but out of noisy and busy streets, they have a wonderful pool (which unfortunately I couldn't enjoy in April), free wifi everywhere and a lobby with very helpful staff...Congress will be for sure my future choice for other trips in Armenia.

I have spent several days in this amazing place and enjoyed it to the fullest. When entering this hotel you may notice the communicable and welcoming staff of the reception that is always ready to help their guests. As well as this I would like to mention the reataurant of the hotel with its delicious Italian and Armenian cuisine; plus it provies 15% discount to all hotel guests. I am planning to visit Armenia soon and for sure will opt for this hotel.

I have to say that the location of this hotel is probably the best you can find in Yerevan, this place is really nice especially in the summer time with their comfy outdoor pool! I've enjoyed it during my last business trip in august.. It was really a beautiful and customer friendly space, with a well-trained staff very welcoming and helpful. And what comes to pizza I could say it was one of the best that I have had so far! The breakfast is definitely a must try! There is almost everything you can ask, rich buffet, good handmade products and a direct service very attentive. I would highly recommend this hotel. It will be my first choice in Yerevan for future trips!

I stayed in hotel Congress for my business trip in Yerevan and I found this place as the most interesting solution in the city. Very close to the centre but out of the crowded republic square, friendly and helpful staff in the lobby, complete satisfying breakfast, tasty italian pizza and an interesting restaurant menu. Will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Yerevan.

I really enjoyed the time spent in Congress Hotel. Especially, I would like to note the restaurant. The food there is very delicious. Also, I would like to note the staff of the hotel, which is very polite and attentive to the guests. They are very positive and spread good atmosphere.

I have stayed at this hotel for one week in April 2016. The reception staff is welcoming and always smiling. They offer assistance whenever asked but sometimes a delay is found. Rooms are nice, clean and tidy. Bathroom well cleaned. Room service is quick. I was a bit disappointed from the repartitions of smoking and non smoking rooms. I was not asked initially if i wanted a smoking or non smoking areas. When I checked in my room was not a smoking allowed room, couldn't sleep the first night from the neighboring room resident. He was smoking till 1am and talking. the smell stays in the rooms. changed the rooms and all went well.

This is a lovely hotel right next to almost everything. A quick walk from the main Square.. A reasonable size room, well appointed breakfast, decent internet speed, good housekeeping and above all excellent and helpful gentle and sexy staff. We had a great meetings !!

First, nobody will greet you when you arrive. The guy standing on the door won't even open the door for you. No porter. Reception is not welcoming, no smiles, no greetings. Just give you your key card and figure out everything yourself. Corridors are so narrow. Rooms are so small. Very basic amenities. Shampoo, soap and body wash. It's an old hotel and needs some upgrading. Carpet looks dirty. I have stayed in a small hotel in another area for 4 days before checking in to this hotel for a much cheaper price but the small hotel far exceeded my expectation than this hotel. There's no air conditioning. Only centralized heating system and the heat is suffocating. Complained about it but the issue was not resolved. Have to open the window to get some cold air. Very noisy from the cars on the street even the windows are close. There's always a loud banging outside the corridor, must be from the cleaning crew. Cafe is in the middle of the reception area. No privacy whatsoever. Spa service, (which is why I changed hotels) is disappointing as well. There are very few service selections that are pricey. Not satisfied with the spa service although the old lady masseuse is very polite and kind. I like massages so I know when I'm getting a good service from spas. Restaurant staff are quick and polite and always smiling. Food is ok but not outstanding. Waste of money. Poor service quality. There are other hotels that are much nicer and provides quality service for the same price or less.

This hotel is full of surprises in almost uncomfortable way you could ever imagine!!!Started with lack of either towel or slippers or soap in the room, there is another story I would remember till the end of my life.. The hotel personnel managed to checkin in my room totally stranger person!! Can you imagine when some man you never seen before at 5 am opens door of your room and walks in?? I was so scared and now so amazed with level of professionalism of this hotel I would not recommend to anyone to stay here!! Terrible experience!

This is a very good hotel in nice location in Yerevan. It offers friendly service from the staff, a nice breakfast, good onsite restaurant for Italian food, and good facilities. This is my third stay in the hotel and it is comfortable place to stay. Good quality for the money.

The BW Congress is not too far off the main square. You walk into the hotel and you are greeted by a troupe of very friendly front desk folks. They are some of the most hospitable, friendly, and helpful people I've met in my years of traveling around the world. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is as close to perfect as possible. The room staff cleans the rooms to an exceptionally high level of cleanliness. The atmosphere around the hotel is that of friendliness. The Best Western chain should look at this place to see how to run their other hotels. It's definitely recommended. The one thing that stands out above all else...the breakfast. One of the best breakfast setups I've seen. Lots of different things for breakfast. You'll need to be careful or you'll walk out heavier than you were when you walked in. The outdoor pool is large and the only drawback is that the hotel sells memberships to the general population. So on a hot day it can get a little crowded. Every month or so they have a party around the pool such as first day of spring, halloween, or whatever. They'll have the bar open and food and there will be a band. The pool is closed though. The general population can buy tickets to attend while hotel guests are free. They are actually fun to go to. Would I recommend this hotel?? Absolutely!!!!

Congress hotel is a comfortable hotel, well located and convenient particularly for business. The facilities are not extraordinarily attractive, the rooms rather small and bathroom equipment not fully up to the latest standards, but the premises are well maintained and practical. Staff is always available to help, and the breakfast buffet offers very good quality and variety of food. The restaurant is a bit more depressing, both in terms of environment and cuisine (apart from the pizzas).

I tried another hotel in the city for the exact same price. That was a totally different league. Congress is a standard rather high class hotel. Nothing flashy, but just what you need. Clean and modern, with black pearl tiles in the bathroom. The beds are soft and seems almost new. Nothing negative except one thing: I asked to have the temperature lowered and they did not manage for some reason. Despite the frozen winter it was probably more than 30 degrees in the room, and i needed to have the window open. You will hopefully not meet this problem. Probably was it just bad luck. I will still choose the same hotel next time I am in Yerevan.

This was my second hotel in Yerevan (I was forced to change hotel because I visited when there was the commemoration of the genocide) and I stayed here one night. This hotel was quite expensive but it provided excellent rooms.

After a six month mission in Armenia the Congress is now my one and only choice for stays in Yerevan. So time for a second review as the mark of a good hotel is consistency and improvement. The quality of the rooms is excellent - comfortable, quiet and very claen. Housekeeping really do their job well - discretely and perefectly. Even due to the late night departures and arrivals they service the rooms without disturbing. Front of house deal with every need - bookings, taxis, printing documents and dealing with troublesome tired guests - with a genuine friendliness and attention to detail. And the restaurant is a real gem - for the business traveller that needs to eat alone (Armenia is not designed for solo diners) - you are made to feel special and welcome, food is excellent - well cooked and presented, the specials menu evolves weekly, and the service from the Restaurant team headed up by Karine is spot on. Even now knowing many good options in Yerevan - I get drawn back each time to eat here. Book here and you will not be disappointed... a good quality hotel run by good management with excellent staff... you will return again - trust me.... now back to my steak and glass of Karas!

I stayed here once again on a recent trip to Yerevan and found the quality and service of the hotel to still be very good. The hotel arranged airport pickup and despite my flight being 5 hours late the driver was there and I was glad to not have to wait to get to the hotel at early hour of the morning. Check in was very quick and I could get a couple hours of sleep before staring my work. The bed was comfortable and the room nicely furnished. The only problem I had this time was the room was too warm and even turning off the heating did not help. The only alternative was to open the window but this proved a bit uncomfortable. The restaurant still offers good food and service, the breakfast is very good with plenty of selections. Overall, a good stay and will recommend this to others traveling to Yerevan.

A decent Hotel for a short stay. Clean and comfortable, well kept rooms. Good food especially for foreigners. The Highlight is the location. Located in the city center. many places in the city can be visited by foot. The only negative thing I can say is about the maintenance.... the air condition was not working during our stay in our room and it was not fixed for our entire duration of stay ( 4 days). we had to keep the windows open for the winter breeze to cool the room but it was a problem at night - bitterly cold if you keep the windows open and very warm if you close it!

Located in the center of Yerevan. A warm welcome and excellent services. Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast fantastic and the room also hasd no problems. Travelling either for pleasure or for business, it is a choise you will note regret.

Very clean, roomy. Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Great location. We were staying in the hotel as part of a Global Village group building for Habitat for Humanity Armenia. The staff was very accommodating to our group of 18.

It is a very decent hotel, comfortable and clean with wonderful staff who would go out of their way to help the guests. The location is very convenient as well, close to the city center. The best feature of this hotel is the pool, which is well kept and a very pleasant place to relax. The breakfast is very good with lots of choices including fruits and pastries. I very much enjoyed staying in this hotel and would recommend it highly to people who are not looking for luxury accommodation but a clean and comfortable environment with reasonable prices. It has good WiFi in the rooms and in the lobby.

All good things about this hotel were said in previous reviews and I am happy to confirm them all from my experience. Great location, nice clean room and comfortable beds, good swimming pool, delicious fresh breakfast...Most of all very helpful and friendly personnel who made every effort to accommodate our requests: front desk, cleaning staff, waiters, bell boys and a very kind, knowledgeable and efficient General manager, Mr. Luciano Casagrande. Also I must mention my correspondence prior to booking a room in the hotel, with Ms. Shushan Poghosyan from the Sales and Reservation department. All my mail messages were replied promptly and correctly , assuring us we have a welcoming place to stay , as it turned out to be.

Nothing wildly exciting about this hotel, but then again it's probably not trying to be anything but very decent. Service is good and very friendly, the place feels very clean, and there's none of the tacky ex-socialist feel that pervades some hotels in Yerevan. Rooms small but perfectly adequate. Good for a business hotel : probably less so for a holiday.

I enjoyed the pool the most. Great pool with very friendly bar staff. Checkin was a little slow and the breakfast expensive, but the taste was okay. Rooms were nice and as expected. The best hotel I tried in Yerevan.

Friendly and helpful staff nearly always smiling, clean and comfortable room, fabulous breakfast buffet, very nice pool area, short walk to central part of downtown, safe neighborhood, strong and easily accessible wifi. What else can you ask for? Very nice stay at this hotel.

Many business and diplomats I know Stay here. Reputation for best value amongst premium hotels in Yerevan Rooms are clean and comfortable but nothing to write about. Pool is great. Best place to stay in the hot season. Best pool in town. Nice little bar.
