I stayed at this hotel for a wedding at the nearby Country Club and chose it largely because it was less than 5 minutes away. We stayed on the second floor on the backside of the building. Check-in was relatively easy. The room is a bit outdated and cramped, but everything looks fine. The TV is very laggy and you need to log into your own accounts to access streaming services (which are not automatically deleted when you leave as i've noticed hotels are trending towards). Some negatives - There is painting/construction going on outside the room, so that created noise during the day. I also didn't see any elevators, so I did have to carry my bag up the stairs (It was pretty full with wedding things, so it was a pain then and when I had heels on for the wedding). Finally, my fiance checked out the free breakfast provided and said it was mostly pastries and the like, so no hot food. I'd give it a solid 3 for serving its purpose and being nothing fancy.
The facility I stayed at in Woodbury New York was in need of renovation. I felt like I stepped back in time to 1972. There were periods with no hot water, plumbing not working, (no running water, no flushable toilet) and rodents in the room. And the room had an odor. The only plus was the bed was comfortable but the surrounding environment negated that. The front desk offered a 50 percent discount but the stay should have been fully refunded. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
I stayed here for five nights in August-September 2024. It wasn't so bad that I felt the need to move to another hotel, but I can't imagine that I'll be back. There were a few decent things: The bed was clean and reasonably comfortable. At least not uncomfortable. The tv, refrigerator, and microwave all work. The housekeepers did a good job of doing the everyday cleaning. The location is convenient. The front desk staff were polite, although mainly young and not able to answer many questions. What wasn't so good: My coffee maker was missing a part which made it impossible to make coffee in my room. I returned it to the front desk, and it was never replaced during my 5 days. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The bathtub was slippery and there was no anti-slip provision—no mat, nothing that had been stuck on the tub. One of the lampshades was falling to pieces. The USB ports didn't work. The curtains in my room were two completely different curtains of different lengths. While this didn't affect my stay, it tells me that the owners just don't care. Over the five days my room key deactivated twice. It wasn't near my phone. Finally, they have a well-known conspiracy publication linked to Q-Anon out in the lobby. That was just offensive.
This is a wonderful deal--comfortable, clean, and affordable, with a perfect breakfast (we are vegetarian so we were grateful for the cheese and egg sandwiches without sausage, as well as the delicious almond croissants and all day coffee (the coffee maker also made lattes). It's great that they have repurposed a motel. The closing on our house was later than we hoped, so we had to stay for over a week, and we were shocked to find an affordable, accommodating place for ourselves and our dog.
Comfortable bed and the cheapest rate I could find for the night I needed. AC worked well initially, but seemed to stop working over time. The refrigerators used to be bigger with a freezer and now are basically mini fridges, the floor was dirty, the pool was closed (one of the reasons I chose to stay was for the pool). I was told it was closed for the season….did it really open? Early August and already closed. The “extensive hot breakfast” was more like nothing at all breakfast. A couple yogurts and rice puddings in the refrigerator, cold cereal containers but no milk, no hot food, no pastries no options. Cappuccino maker gave me coffee flavored water. Very disappointed on the whole experience. Used to be a bargain
This is an older Motel style property, no inside hallways and no elevator to 2nd floor rooms. This was our 3rd stay here this season. We have family on Long Island and I've been on the hunt for years for reasonably priced accommodations. They are in the process of doing upgrades. The Pool is CLOSED. It probably needs something that wasn't able to pass inspection this year. I hope it's resolved for next year. The double beds are FULL size, not Queen. I'm hoping they update them to Queen as there is room to do so. They were comfortable though. Furniture is a bit old, but functional. Some rooms have updated flooring. Last room I had was carpet. Staff is friendly. Fran in the morning is a pleasure to chat with when getting coffee. It's a decent continental breakfast, with pre-made Jimmy Dean Egg Sandwiches. The price point reflects the stay. It's clean, safe and functional. I'm sure with the upgrades, it'll be even better once completed. There is a diner in walking distance and great bagel shop across the street.
Absolutely a gem to stay at, it's my number one hotel l love to stay at, week after week and year after, the team always makes you feel that your part of the family, it's a home away from home , Eileen and Joey go out of their way to make a special place to stay, always very accommodating, exceptionally clean rooms, and facilities, close to shopping complex and a great golf course. Highly recommended at a very sensible and affordable price.
There was a smell when I entered the room. While the furniture seemed newer, everything else was shoddy. It looked like a 12 year old painted the room. I've never seen carpet as trim before, and it was coming off. Things were dirty. The breakfast was just cold stuff, no bread for toast. Was charged an extra 100 deposit. The air conditioner sounded like a jet taking off. The bed was extremely soft if you like that. I am a loyal Best Western customer, but I will never stay there again
A local event drove up local prices making this a very overpriced motel. Value of the room was not commensurate with the price. Poor maintenance, facilities and services were in evidence. We had a very poor experience and will never return here.
not the quality i always got at best westerns the location is great and very upper class. that's why i was so surprised to see the shabbiness of the room
Yikes! Hotel? You mean the grimy MOTOR INN?? Maybe, a step above camping, room was dirty, sheets, dirty, scary people stay here and poor travelers that didn't know better, such as myself, Creepy at best. I'd booked through Priceline& between this hotel & Priceline , no one wanted to fix or take responsibility for anything It's freezing out& the plug in heater was blowing out cold air, when I'd gone to the front desk about it, first time, the fire marshals were in the lobby& no one could help me, or even acknowledged me, At all. the second time, I went in to point out these issues, the police ,were everywhere, an ambulance , and 4 cars & officers every where, again, ZERO help. The floors were sticky , the sheets had long black hairs and yellow crusty patches ( God knows..) There were crumbled holes in the walls, moulding missing with crumbled holes in the wall exposed The bonus…shower floor was GREASY, the whole place WREAKS of mold. REALLY? Best Western in Woodbury, NY? Are you aware of this MESS?? Every other time I'd used the room key , it fdidnt register& left me locked out, so I had to repeatedly walk past all off the weirdos that were standing outside my room smoking. The room had a great view of the large Dumpster in the back of the building , you put a woman traveling solo in this room? After repeatedly telling them the heat is NOT functioning, they still have yet to address this or attempt APOLOGIZE . The coffee machine in the lobby was broken, the “ continental breakfast” consists of white trash snacks that you wouldn't give to kids you hated. And it's apparently only there for the employees.who have no shame in taking up the fee tables and enjoying the processed “ snacks” And the huge nasty dumpster right outside my door, gets emptied at 2 am , I thought there was a train crash outside. Oh, and to my further delight, The ice bucket provided , looks like it was either thrown up in or previously had a plant in it., or both. INSULTED , Exhausted and just baffled I certainly will be contacting Corporate, Zero stars for this butterball !!! I guess a great overnight stay for someone who just was released from prion, I take that back, prisons have heat
Front desk very accommodating and very helpful, bed was excellent and provided a great night sleep. The room was basic and clean and provided plenty of tv choices. Bathroom could use an update but was clean.
Room was not clean, and not maintained. The furniture was shabby. Very noisy the walls are paper thin. No secure internet available and they hold 100 for "incidentals " which they do not inform you of before booking.
The good and bad. The room was clean but carpet was funky. We could smell cigarette smoke, maybe seeping in somehow. The bed was comfortable but pillows were terrible, and the office had none (there were 3 on the bed for 2 people). Pastries were good but coffee was like piss. When we got back to the room on our second day the room had not been cleaned. No explanation but the guy said to talk to housekeeping the next day (we were leaving). He did give us 2 towels.
If you're really desperate, this is the place for you. The room had an order and was not clean. The hot water in the shower made an awful noise. The grounds and the building are in desperate need of repair. It was too late in the evening to find an alternate place to stay and had be somewhere early the next morning. You won't see me here again.
Stayed here for one night. I have to agree with some of the other reviewers who rated this hotel poorly. Room had a musty smell which wasn't pleasant. Bathroom door was dirty, water damaged and a different color white (old) than the frame. Hinges on the door were extremely rusty. One bathroom wall also needed to be cleaned. Walkway to room needed to be swept. Lobby floors were dirty and were sticky in the food area. This hotel needs a complete makeover. It was convenient to the highway and they offered individually wrapped food for breakfast.
Ranks as the worst place we have stayed at in recent memory. This place is an aging motel with thin walls and doors that face the parking lot and therefor one does not feel very secure. Filthy rooms. It's a dog and cat kennel so to speak with corresponding bugs, itchy bites, allergic reaction to dander, barking dogs, etc. it is perhaps one-step above being a down-and-out flophouse for people that have fallen on hard times. Very sketchy…it gives one the impression of doing a sleep over in a crack house.
Stayed at this property for two nights to attend family wedding at nearby facility. Room was very dated and had an overly disinfectant smell to try and mask the obvious cigarette odor. Dingly small bathroom and loud air conditioner rounded out the experience. They also added an unexpected $100 security deposit when checking in, which speaks to their usual clientele. An unexpected positive amenity was their outside pool area, which was clean and well cared for. Safe, central Northshore location with relitively decent rates are primary selling features if all you need is a basic room.
The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The prices seem very reasonable for the area. Convenient to Laguardia, and local attractions. Very nice pool area (nice pool, plenty of seating and tables, pleasant shade). Breakfast is pretty standard. Breakfast seating area is woefully small.
Why anyone would rate this more than one or two stars simply baffles me. This place is a dump. Our room was dirty, the shower dripped all day and night (keeping us awake), blood on one of the pillow cases, sheets rough and scratchy like muslin, peeling paint, holes in the plaster, and very noisy. Honestly, don't stay here if you have another choice. The only positive I can say about this dump is that the bed was comfortable. As soon as a room in a different hotel opened up, we moved.
Very basic, poorly maintained motel, horribly overpriced, poorly trained front desk staff. No thought was given to providing enough tables and chairs at breakfast. If this is the current acceptable Best Western standard, we will definitely avoid Best Western from now on. Out recommendation is to avoid this facility. Very depressing.
hotel staff kind and very helpful. rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. location was excellent. Would definitely stay there again. nice room set up chairs ,table .Great coffee. Fridge in room. convent
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times of th past 10+ years but not recently until now. This visit was a big disappointment. Tub did not drain. Toilet was sluggish. Informed front desk each day, but Maintenance was a consistent no-show. After three days, moved us to a different room. Tub was fine but toilet had problems. Called for a plunger which never came. THat is a huge frustration. BUT. Beds were comfortable. Room was reasonably clean and spacious enough. Breakfast has been downgraded from the hot breakfast pre-covid to a continental. A bit of a disappointment. But we got up late and went out for a good breakfast at nearby diners and cafes. The desk in both of the rooms we were in did not have a reachable electric outlet to plug in a computer. That is an odd oversight for a hotel that has had a recent enough remodeling. I had to charge it at bedside when I was not using it. Inconvenient. This is a decent hotel stay for the money, assuming that a better hotel is a lot more expensive, and assuming that they will fix the plumbing. But it is below my standard and expectation for Best Western and for other hotels in this area of Long Island.
Had to move rooms due to smell and the second room was very dirty. Pubes on the toilet and floor and no bathroom supplies. Lady at front desk was helpful. The amount of dust buildup around the bed and nightstand was gross. Probably never put a vacuum near it. Scary outlets behind night stand, cannot possibly be safe.
This hotel needs major renovations. It's falling apart. Balcony on second floor seems to be falling. The bathrooms are very small and uncomfortable plus they have mold. A disabled person won't be able to go in.
A wonderful joy every time l stay, they are extremely accommodating and give the room l usually request and have it ready before my arrival, Joey is always very pleasant and always is happy to greet me be my first name, it's like seeing an old friend. An absolute asset to your business.
This is a nice, clean hotel and the breakfast staff are exceptional. In need of a renovation, bathroom in our room is not barrier free, but then the prices will most like increase too. The shopping plaza across the street has several nice restaurants, our favorite was the Rustic Root...nice vegetarian options and locally sourced!!
We only stayed one night at the BW Woodbury and out of convenience we didn't change after check-in even thought the Motel was old and needs renovation in many areas. Rooms are dark, smell muddy and aircon is loud. Bathroom is small with broken showerhead. We avoided breakfast and went next door where you find a excellent Dinner called On the Parade with yummy classic dinner food and very friendly staff. Totally recommend the dinner if you stay at the BW.
Over the years, I've stayed 3 or 4 times at the Best Western Woodbury. The friendly, timely service of Flor and her staff, the convenient location, and the value-for-money ensure that I'll always choose BWW when visiting Long Island.
I was in a pet friendly room which was super dated but ok. My biggest complaint is the bathroom- it is soo tiny. It was clean enough and I was given more towel when I asked the cleaning staff. Beds were fine. AC was good too Continental breakfast was as expected. My kids liked it :) there's bagels, other pastry like breads and some egg sandwiches. Pool was the best part of this place. It was peaceful and felt like a backyard pool which was very refreshing. Usually pools are indoors in these types of hotels and I would say this is the highlight. For the rate it's a good enough place to rest your head- this isn't a resort by any means. It's super basic.
Nice hotel a few blocks and a couple of minutes from the wedding. It took us an hour and a half to get here from LaGuardia after landing in the afternoon, an hour to go back in the morning. (Watch for crazy drivers who will jump in front of you if you leave any space between you & the next car.) OK breakfast, clean, easy free parking. Needs some updating.
The hotel is undergoing construction. The room was adequate for our stay the hotel can use some TLC Microwave was not plugged in. It had snowed a few days prior to our arrival and the snow was not removed adequately enough to allow easy access from our car to our room
I did one of those priceline deals where they show three hotels for a discounted rate and you don't know which one you'll get until you pay. It was one night so I figured it would be okay. It wasn't. The door key didn't work and the desk clerk had to come and help me so I was afraid to leave my room again in case I couldn't get back in. The room smelled like smoke, or something unpleasant like that. It's a motel so you hear everything from the main street outside, including motorcycles and loud cars. I finally put on white noise from my phone. There was a shower, not a bath. The toilet and the shower are inches from each other, and if you were to decide to close the door when you were already on the toilet, you'd be out of luck.
This hotel needs to be closed and completely rehabilitated and the staff retrained. The room was in terrible condition. Lighting, electrical, heating-cooling system from the Truman Administration. When I went to iron a shirt it got ruined because there was some kind of purple gel on the bottom of the iron -- I travel extensively and in 30 years I've never had that happen before. Worst of all, when I showed the iron and the shirt to the desk clerk, I didn't get a hint of concern or a word of apology.
Not a great place to stay. Stayed there a couple of times, and was hoping it would get better the second time. It did not. They're always doing construction there and it's unnerving. Small rooms with very few amenities, not even a desk chair in the room or a small table where two could eat. Staff is nice, but it's not worth staying there.
Don't recommend not a nice place no water pressure tiny rooms dated furniture chips small television my 40 dollar car wash down tubes due to construction that I wasn't made aware of on page with room selection. Overall a 0.
I made the mistake of booking this hotel for my entire family & bridal party. Everything they told us was a lie. This place looks like the motel that my friends & I used to have hotel parties at when I was a teenager. The furniture was scratched, old, & looks like it came from a garage sale. Every room had an odor, things were broken in each room, everybody was having issues. The worst part of all of this is that there was construction at the hotel. My now husband & I had driven down Jericho turnpike a few weeks prior to our wedding. I noticed a construction site in front of the hotel. We called asked if this was affecting the property in any way shape or form. We were reassured that there was no construction on the property at all . When we arrived, the parking lot was dirt, rocks, caution tape everywhere. No pavement. The big beautiful tree in the front of the hotel is ripped out & there's temporary construction fencing, rocks, dirt & caution tape right in front. I had guests dressed for a formal wedding in heels gowns suits&tuxedos tracking through this. They also told us that hot breakfast was serve every day. Which is half true. When I asked if it was just package foods like muffins & granola bars they said “no it's fresh made to order food that can be either delivered to the room ,picked up or eaten in the lobby.” Breakfast was basically like Jimmy Dean style egg sandwich wrap and placed in heater & microwavable pancakes. The lobby is a joke. Maybe eight people can sit comfortably to eat, And that's being generous. I will say, they had juice water coffee, a very nice tea selection available 24/7. We were also told the the hotel provides shuttle service to any stores or destinations within five miles of the property, as well as pick ups and drop offs to the train station. Nope. Not one employee knew anything about this. Apparently, it is an imaginary shuttle. So there's that. Although The girls at the hotel are very sweet, everyone was full of excuses as to why service was slow, etc. My mother-in-law and Aunt were splitting the cost of the room. When they went to pay, The guy at the front desk told them that they could not split it on two separate cards because his system didn't work that way. Really? As a bride, i was hysterically crying on my wedding day absolutely mortified. We had guests from all over the country at the is place. I've never been so embarrassed in my entire life. This is The Worst Place Ever
Parking lot is gravel and dirt and a mess. Walking in to the lobby gives you a preview of what your room will be like. Old, dingy and very musty smelling. Stairwell is outside and slippery and dangerous when it's raining. Gutters were leaking and pour water on you as you try to walk up. Doors to room open to outside and are not sealed so anything can crawl in. (And this makes it very noisy at night). Horrible musty smelling room, like a 100 year old basement that has leaked for years. To the point it burns your eyes. Air conditioning didn't work, only made the room more musty and humid. Furniture had water damage, was peeling and warped and coming apart and smelled. Bathroom was incredibly small, could barely close door. Bathroom walls had water damage and were soft from damage. The room seemed to be cleaned pretty well and bedding was clean and smelled fresh but the musty smell of the room was overpowering and made my clothes even smell. This hotel is very much in need of some TLC and a major makeover. This place is not worth the price they charge for a room. I will not be returning to this hotel ever. I do not know where the pictures on their website are from. My room looked nothing like that. The lobby didn't look like that either. And the outside picture must have been from 15 years ago. Not what it looks like. These pictures do not accurately display the room. Walls had stains. I could go on and on. I have pictures but don't see where I can add them.
Poor room conditions for the price. Rooms smelled, carpet filthy and toilet didn't flush. Because they didn't have another room that would accommodate our needs or a maintenance person on the property my husband fixed the toilet on his own.
Rooms were dirty and cigarette smoke smell ALL over. Parking lot was under construction so gravel all over and manholes sticking up. The lobby was not to welcoming. Front desk attendants didn't really care about our issue and for the service and room dissatisfaction the price was not reasonable at all. Never ever again.
We booked this due to attend a local wedding, There is construction going on next door and the driveway is torn up to do black top, i realize this needs to be done to update, but between the 2 going on, which noise level was fine, i feel the price for the hotel was too high. It is very dated but for overnight would've been fine, if the beds weren't so uncomfortable. The workers were super nice and the breakfast was better than would be expected. My daughters sheets did have a few small stains, which if they were at home sheets wouldn't have bothered her, but in a hotel, shouldn't be. The room was very clean.
I stayed at the Best Western - Woodbury location from 9/17/21-9/20/21. I have an extensive list of concerns regarding my stay that start with the Room -244 Bathroom-Dirty Cleanliness -Lacking No cleaning for the entire stay Had to request towels Breakfast -Very limited Cereal choices were limited to high sugar content Bananas were overly ripe Coffee was ????? Seat was very limited and inadequate-Make adjustments based on registration Even now it is almost impossible to find an outlet to express concerns The above concerns are shared by other members of my party on the 2nd floor. I have pictures to support my observations, particularly in the bathroom. The pictures of the Best Western - Woodbury location DO NOT accurately reflect the reality of the hotel. The pictures speak to the brilliance of great photography and the message they can convey. WHEN were these pictures taken???? NO mention that the hotel is currently in the midst of a construction zone full of dust, gravel and noise.
I had three problems with the room: 1. The air conditioner was so loud. I would wake up every 10 minutes. 2. The sheets were dirty. There was a 6" circle of an orange substance. 3. They are doing construction next door which started at 7am.
I was there for a 2 night stay. The first night there were roaches on the bed which crawled on me while I was sleeping. The next day I complained and was given a room which smelled like smoke so I turned it down. I was given another room and that one also smelled of smoke. Finally the third room was better. Glad to leave by the next day.
The staff were all friendly and the problems we had were out of their control. Key cards stopped working repeatedly, the internet didn't work, parking lot is unfriendly and the breakfast is bad microwaved food, that they microwave in front of you.
Excellent place for a quick weekend to Long Island Went there with my family for my future daughter in law's bridal shower in nearby Huntington Great location, had a nice pool, right next to diner, good price, clean and efficient Have been here before and will be back
Rooms could use some updating but bed was comfortable and the sheets/duvet were clean. Pool area was great to have, as we were there with a group for a wedding so being able to sit together by the pool in either the shade or sun was fabulous. The grounds were nice too!
This hotel is not fancy but it is safe and comfortable. The rate is fair for what you get. There is a diner within walking distance and many other places to eat or shop a short distance away. The rooms could use updating. Some of the furniture was broken and the bathroom walls need attention but everything was usable and clean enough. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding was very clean and fresh. I would stay here again but would recommend it only for someone who is just looking for a place to sleep and relax at the end of the day. If you are looking for super modern, neat and pristine then this is not the place for you.
This place should be knocked down it must be a section 8 or a welfare hotel, it was filthy smelly everything was old we had to be moved due to people fighting and they were doing drugs on the premises, there was no room service we had to get our own towels etc…our keys didn't work needed to get the key card changed 4 times, the outside lights by the stairs didn't work, they neglected to inform us about the construction going on next door and the parking lot was all ripped up, we tried to book other hotels in the area but unfortunately everything was booked. I will NEVER recommend this dump .
First off, the motel is set off an intersection-unfortunaley the signage is AT the intersection which cause me to bypass the entrance and wait for a very long traffic light, u-turn and wait again at the traffic light. Why not put up a sign at the entrance. To clarify, this property does not look like a modern hotel/motel, it is a 2 story building constructed of wood. The motel's web site did warn of parking lot construction, what it didn't warn of was the mud and deep pot holes. Then I got into my room. To call it outdated is a huge understatement. The first thing I noticed was a horrible old wet carpet smell, the 2nd thing was the furnishing, 50 -60's era and very beat up (however the bathroom had been recently redone nicely). I did make the mistake of taking off my shoes and socks and walking on the disgusting carpet, it felt damp and was tacky. And then the bed, when I sat down on it I sank in on one side and heard what sounded like a spring popping. It was not the least bit comfortable to sleep on. The odor in the room was so bad I went to the store and purchase some air freshener, this helped a little, until I woke up the next day and the odor had overpowered the air freshener. I left my air freshener with the check out clerk and asked to do the next guest a favor by giving them the air freshener. For Best Western, do yourself a favor and eliminate this property form your brand, unless of course this IS the BW brand?
The room was dirty, the bathroom was disgusting and the air conditioning was so loud it kept us up the whole night. Aside from that, We requested a Queen bed and got two full size beds. The room smelled from mildew and when we requested a room change, the front desk said they were sold out. Hard to believe, but our money, we wouldn't want our dog to sleep there.
Yes, the place is rather dated and there is major construction going on next door. However, our room and especially the bathroom was clean and spotless, the bed was comfortable, the building was quiet and peaceful at night, there is a beautiful and clean outdoor pool area, the front desk staff was friendly and courteous, and finally, they had a really nice selection for the self serve breakfast - fresh danish and donuts as well as real fresh bagels in addition to the normal fare. We will definitely return to this hotel the next time we visit Long Island. For the price, it's a great value.
Excellent Stay with excellent staff and quality things "Food Drinks , swimming pool and every thing was perfect i like to re stay again as soon as possible , i would like to thank you all for every thing very gooooooooooooooooooooood
I stayed at the Best Western in Woodbury, New York after a business meeting. Accommodations were very nice. The included breakfast had a lot of variety and was very good. There was some construction near the building which made parking a little troublesome. The hotel provided some light snacks & beer in the evening as compensation for the inconvenience which was very much appreciated. All in all, a very nice 1st hotel stay since the pandemic!
The walls of the rooms are very poor in muffling noise. We heard lots of noise from above and all around us, outdoors and indoars, at all hours of the night. This included loud music between midnight and 2:30AM, with staff unable or unwilling to stop it. Second, the Inn claims to be 'smoke'free'. However, this is not enforced, and there is constant marijuana smell outside the rooms.
We stayed here for a nearby wedding. It's a good value compared to the wedding venue which was $400 more per night. It's not that easy to find, because the entrance is on a side street not on Jericho Turnpike & there is an on-going construction project abutting the highway. The building is rather rustic looking, a welcome change from the generally sterile & generic brand norm. The room was relatively clean but they need to upgrade the old stained carpets. The bathrooms have been refurbished but are small. You get above average toiletries & the hair dryer had a diffuser. There was a sticker sealing the door shut telling us the room had been sterilized prior to our arrival. Complementary breakfast that is Covid safe takeaway was plentiful. It was closed during our stay but the pool is in a park like settling. I would have liked to take a dip. There are two small strip malls nearby. There is not much in the one across the street but there's a diner on the other side of that. Across the highway there is a bank (Chase), a Starbucks, 2 restaurants, a few clothes stores & a gourmet market.
My wife and I arrived after 5PM and the check in was quick and easy with credit card payment and registering our car. Our requested “quiet king” was held as we had pre registered online last night. We parked in the back and carried our luggage up the outside steel steps, noting the older style of this hotel. Entering Room #151 exposed a very comfortable king bed with all the normal accessories; easy chair, micro, small refer, small coffee maker, desk, nice TV and a small but fully outfitted bathroom with strong vented fan and large outside sink area. Adjustable AC/heat is with a large “below window” unit. The 24 hour lobby has coffee, tea and juices available at all times, then an expanded and nicely Covid-Serviced breakfast from 7-9 AM; Oranges, assorted cereals/muffins/bagels/ granola bars, microwavable burrito and egg/sausage and yoghurt. We saw the large seasonal pool/garden in the back on our nightly walk to the On Parade Diner and across the highway to Woodbury Village shopping mall and down to the large Stop and Shop supermarket. We found this hotel, centrally located on Long Island, a nice stay for 3 nights at ~ $131 per night using Blue Member rates.
I highly urge no one to stay here. Insanely overpriced for the type of hotel this is. We even had a blood stain on our floor. And that was just the start of it! The stale odor in the room was awful, kept causing myself and my fiancé to sneeze all night. So we came to the conclusion it's probably the AC filter. Sure enough we pulled it out, and it was clearly never ever once cleaned. Half the outlets didn't work in the room. The microwave didn't even heat up what we needed heated. It would just turn on and make the noise but not do anything. The shower is so gross it makes you feel like you need another shower. And when we arrived there was 2 huge bags full of garbage right outside our door. And no one ever removed it until the next day. sad excuse for a hotel!!!
Mold, Mildew, Wet Carpet, Old, Nasty, Noisy, Stained Washcloth (1!) Think Crackhouse/Quick Sheets!! Toilet backed up. Just horrible!! Microwave and fridge are filthy! Dogs jumped around all night upstairs
Spent one night here while my daughter attended a youth tournament in Bethpage. It's a pretty basic motel (exterior hallways). Like most motels of this type, there was some noise from cars in the parking lot beeping when they lock their cars or close doors, but was not a problem overnight. Motel is off a small street, so there is no road noise. Location was very convenient to the highway - was able to drop her off in Bethpage and return to the motel in about 10-15 minutes. Parents were not allowed at the event due to COVID and I was able to watch livestream on the motel Wifi with no problems. Solid breakfast options for this price range (sausage and cheese croissant, various donuts and pastries, etc.) Room was basic with two double beds. No complaints with cleanliness. Nice TV. Bathroom very small. Room had fridge and microwave. My tween daughter was not impressed, but it was a good price, clean room, good location, good breakfast. Totally fine for a one night stay if you need to be in the area. The pool looked pretty good sized for a hotel pool, but it was not open yet for the season. Requested late check out and was only offered until noon without paying a fee ($50). Not a big deal, but since I was hanging out waiting for my daughter to finish, an additional hour or two would have been much appreciated. Was torn between giving this a 4 or 5 star review. There are nicer hotels in the area, but you're probably spending an extra $40 or $50 a night on them. For this price range, I have no complaints. If your budget is higher, there are other options that are probably a bit nicer.
nice clean room, good breakfast (in times of pandemic) staff are very friendly and helpful, thank you very much Melissa I definitely recommend it. plenty of parking space F450 with a 35ft trailer easy
We are visiting from out of town for a wedding at a venue close to this hotel. After reading multiple great reviews, we decided this hotel would be best for our family. Our nonsmoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. To the point that even my children complained of the smell. Needless to say we didn't stay. 10 minutes was long enough.
I remember back in the day there was a restaurant in the front but all of that is closed. The whole facility is being renovated. They still have full breakfast. There are some crazy drunk people here and i'm pretty sure we smelled crack at one point but it's all good nobody bothers you here. I hope to come back some day when the pool and restaurant are open.
The hotel itself was okay. I say this because upon check-in to the room, there was a pair of boots outside our door that remained the entirety of our stay. Were they a worker's pair of boots or a rando that lost them on his or way to what?!?! We'll never know. So that was a bit unsettling. Next in the room itself (room 230 btw), the tv had only one working channel, the HLN network. Never have I been so ensconced into the "Mind of a Serial Killer" in my life but alas that is the price to pay for having access to only one channel. The room also reeked of cigarette smoke, surprising since there were many notices stating this is a smoke free room. Positives - good water pressure in the shower, hot water was very good and the room itself was clean. The beds were comfy with big fluffy comforters and the pillows were adequate as well. Stay here - yes. Expect to watch many things on tv while getting ready - no.
This place is awful. If we weren't so tired from driving all day we would not have stayed. There was only one set of dishes (there was two of us), the cookware was dirty, old (the finish was wearing off), and had loose handles - so dangerous. There were no dish soap, dish towels, or paper towels. The bath towels had holes. The room smelled old, that you could tell at some point it was a smoking room. The front desk person did not have access to housekeeping so could not look for what we needed. They managed to scrape up a set of dishes but they had cracks. The only thing that was okay was the bed itself - but maybe we were too tired to notice anything wrong. Breakfast was terrible. Why offer bread when you can't toast it? Perhaps muffins would have been a better choice. The turkey sausage was terrible. One bite and in the trash it went. The egg (omelet???) was not much better. It is time to renovate from top to bottom, inside and out. We were supposed to stay more than one night but got out the first thing. Found another hotel for only a $20 more that was incredibly wonderful!!! So glad we got out.
At the moment (and for the past 3?hours) there has been a family of 3 adults and 9 children in the pool. The kids range in age from an infant in a diaper to teenagers. ALL of them are running, jumping, and screaming. This includes the father, who is throwing the teenagers in the pool, and the mother, who is hollering to be heard over all the others. Not one of them has worn a mask any of the MANY times they've been closer than 6 feet to us. Nor do they stay 6 feet away from others in the pool. They've driven us out of the pool and another group away from the patio completely. This is the part that pertains to the hotel. We went back to the lobby to explain the situation and that we have been coming here multiple weekends each year for maybe 6 years ... specifically to use the pool. Never before have we encountered such a rude family. The woman at the desk said she'd talk to them. We saw her speaking with them, but we have no idea what she said to make their behavior worse. When we explained that their behavior and their closeness had driven us from the pool, she told us that they had every right to behave as they were, and that there was no requirement for social distancing within the pool ... which is untrue in the State of New York. Further, there is a prohibition (as at NY restaurants) of any single group larger than 10 people, as this group is. https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/system/files/documents/2020/06/doh_covid19_pooladvisory_061120_0.pdf As I said, we are long-time visitors and we have noticed a definite decline in the condition of the property, the front desk personnel, and the amenities. We have often seen violations of the pool rules, and have never seen anyone from hotel staff check on the pool and its patrons. Today, not only was our peaceful use of the pool disturbed, at times our health was endangered, with the hotel staff erroneously supporting those who violated the NYS rules.
I recently stayed at the Best Western Woodbury Inn and was highly impressed with their strive for thorough cleaning during this pandemic. I was walking back to my room and saw the manager cleaning a room with a sanitizing machine. It's good to know I can travel and not have to worry about where I am staying. I will definitely return.
I have been coming back to the BW Woodbury Inn for over 8 years now. I want to take this opportunity to give long over due thanks to FLOR MELGAR who was a wonderful Breakfast Attendant in addition to making sure all my BW guest needs were met at my last stay which was at the the beginning of March 2020. Always attentive, pleasant and friendly, it is because of people like FLOR that I keep coming back . Thank you again,FLOR !
This was already my second stay at the BW Woodbury Inn. Well, the fact that I came back, says it all... Clean and comfortable rooms, quiet, nice breakfast, reasonable price and good location. Definitely a good value.
Doesn't even live up to Best Western standards. Woke up to a non working shower with no time to ask for a change in rooms. A screw was missing from the plunger and even when using a players, I couldn't turn or pull the showers stem. Otherwise very dated decor. All other Best Westerns I've stayed at hands down far surpass this location.
Room is clean and has had a recent face lift. Bed is comfy. There is no window. I'm worried about fire safety. Is it legal to have a hotel room without a second way to exit? We went to the trouble of moving rooms, but the second room was so run down, we reverted to the original windowless room. Not at all pleasant. There is a sky light but the lovely young man at the front desk said he wasn't aware of any way to draw the shade back on it. I'd leave if it wasn't midnight when we arrived. There were no other rooms available so we are going to look for another place to stay in the morning hopefully won't get penalized for checking out early.
Great price, and you get a lot for it. The room had just what it needed. You could drive right up to the room. It's not a huge room, but not claustrophobic either, and it has just what you need. They have a workout room but the only problem is it's downstairs and I didn't feel comfortable being downstairs by myself. You could see that the place was old but they are REMODELING IT so it has been updated and it appears the rooms will continue to be updated -- they were working on it when we were there. We will definitely stay there again. I would agree, though, that breakfast needs to be improved. Not many options. Please add some fresh fruit salad so we can have some healthy options. Also, in our room, same as probably others, the faucet for the bathtub is old, and difficult because it's difficult to see where it's pointing -- it's not clear whether it's on hot or cold. Please update the faucets -- although the bathtub/shower was otherwise great. Other than the above, I really did like the place, people were friendly, and there is an outdoor pool for the summer.
Avoid this one. Beds were not comfortable. Room was semi-clean. Shower door track was full of dirt/mold. Doors are all exterior. Glad we were only there for one night. We will not be back. Next time I will pay a few dollars extra for a newer place.
I have to say the staff was top notch 5 star crew they were all so helpful and attentive. I also enjoyed the breakfast area it was very cozy and the food was good including the yogurt. I got to check out the fitness room and it was very nice just enough for what I needed.
A nice hotel for the price and location. The king in the executive building was very nice, Breakfast and wifi included. coffee and tea available 24 hours and also in room. Microwave and fridge as well even though we only stayed a day. Water and cookies included as well. Excellent location on Jericho Turnpike just three miles from wedding we were attending.
The rooms in the service were excellent and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone the staff was extremely professional and friendly the rooms were Ultra comfortable and very nice I I would like to thank Best Western for a very nice experience
The rooms are adequate and the staff was very friendly and helpful - I just wish they would redo the room doors as they painted over the handles and it generally took us 6-7 tries to open the door - they also need to address the seating for their complementary breakfast as they gave seating for about 12-14 people and was over crowded each morning
I visit my sister for the holidays in Huntington, and this is a very convenient hotel to stay at. The breakfast is varied and very fresh, and the beds are super comfortable. Just wish the bathrooms were bigger!
This is an average hotel. My family had 3 rooms for 1 night because we had a wedding to attend the next day in the same area. There was a problem in 1 of the rooms at night and we were told the and we were told the girlwho was working the front desk was the only person working and nobody was available to come to the room to correct the problem. I think 1 worker in a nice sized hotel is not enouugh.
Best Western Woodbury was very pleasant stay very close to relatives' home and Stillwell Park and its Sailplane Field. Executive room relatively spacious and competitively priced. Very good selection of breakfast foods and expansive time window. Neighboring room had small child whose bed was near adjoining door and was noisy for part of night.
Very disappointing. Sub par. Curious point - no matter how bad an experience can be - they always know how to charge right down the line. Not sure what purpose reviews serve. Nothing changes and you still get charged.
Poor customer service, Frontdesk staff needs training in the hospitality field. Rooms are dirty and with foul smell. I asked to be in a non-smoking room and FD agent cut me off stating that all the rooms are non-smoking but when I got in, it stinks with cigar.
But staff has issues with common courtesy. Im am a Diamond member, its never acknowledged and tbe front desk my last 5 stays at a BW have all been rude. I dont know what the issues have been and im not one to pull race cards. But when the hotel front desk person see's me they tend to get wierd. I dress fine. A tad casual when im not working. I wish being a Diamond member meant something to the staff.. But none can car less.
The bed was comfortable, but there were several issues with the room (air conditioning wasn't working well, chain in toilet broke during the middle of the night, wifi was iffy). Prior to the chain breaking in the toilet, the toilet ran constantly which was distracting when trying to sleep. With the appropriate renovations this hotel could be great - the location is very convenient to the local area. With so few hotels in the area, this hotel is in a wonderful position.
Do yourself a favor and bring ear plugs, a sleep mask, and extra blankets. The HVAC rattles, the walls are thin, and the "blankets" are just sheets. Don't go here if you are looking for a good night sleep, peace, quiet, or comfort. Additionally, they would not allow me to book at the rate the rest of my family received so I paid $50 more per night than everybody else!
Many members of our family stayed at Woodbury Inn for a wedding in the area. The staff and service were wonderful. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. I used the fitness center too. The location is near lots of stores and attractions.
nice hotel great service have nice pool rooms clean if bestwestern member early check in if room is cleaned and get late check out check with front desk gave me room up grade shopping down the road all was good at this hotel thank you
Very good hotel staff extremely friendly, room was clean very good breakfast good, very close to restrant and shopping area. plently of parking Great value for the area, close to train station to get into New York city.
There was pet food on the floor from I'd presume the previous stay. There was what looked like a blood stain on the carpet. Hair on bed from previous stay. Bath towels were very small and rough like sand paper. Pillows way too big. Would not recommend this hotel. Only plus was friendliness of staff and location.
It is the best hotel in this location with excellent staff and delicious breakfast makes it a great deal. Mr. Joe at front desk is very helpful in explaining and showing the room. Pool is really nice and i enjoyed my trip to the fullest
This MOTEL is so run down, I stayed here 8 years ago and now its terrible. The rooms are all dark and dingy & needs a total makeover. The odor was very musty in the room and the AC ran all the time without turning off. There were alot of contractors staying here and hanging out in the parking lot drinking by their trucks. . Lots of noise outside at times with cars coming and going with loud music. The free breakfast was OK and staff at front desk nice. We were supposed to stay 5 nites -- but checked out after one and went to a different hotel!
This hotel is very outdated and poorly maintained. Both of our rooms had a musty smell. Because of our room type, we did not have many to choose from. The first was much worse than the second. The kitchenette was marginal. The breakfast provided by the hotel was good and well stocked. The location was also good as many places were withing walking distance. The room itself was clean, but the dresser and nightstand were such that I felt a need to line the drawers with a paper bag.
Rooms in worn out condition, the fact that it's a BW hotel fell way below standard and expectation. Service manager was helpful given what she had to work with, but disappointed overall that we also booked several other rooms for our wedding guests who flew from far to stay.
Check in was excellent. Room was clean and well appointed. Elevator a plus, The breakfast was more than enough. Got a good nights rest in prep for Sunday Long Isl expressway westbound Pa trip. Stayed here before and will definitely stay again.
If you are aware of the area than do not stay here. Not up to standards. Furniture not cleaned linens had a very bleach like scent, should be more of a fresh scent. Though the staff was excellent and very accommodating.
Each time I stay at the Woodbury BW Property, I can be assured of a great meal, comfortable and clean room with helpful associates. Flou in the dinning area have always been engaging, friendly and very helpful. She's a joy to speak to in the morning with her welcoming smile, proficient and calm style.
I recently booked at this place due to unexpected problem with airbnb on the day of my travel to NY. I checked this place online and i saw that the price was reasonable and plus they had daily breakfast included. Coming from another country, wifi connection is essential for me. So this was one of the selling point when I am choosing a place to stay. After checking in I connected to wifi and it did connect. The problem was even I was connected to the internet I could not even check my emails. I called front desk and they told me that I need to call a number and they gave me a number. I said why would I do that? It is not my responsibility to call your customer support to fix the problem. The just said we are so sorry we can't do anything for you. Then I said ok. It is what it is. Stayed for 4 days no internet. Never again will I stay in this hotel. I strongly suggest for everyone not to stay here. Unless it is the only option.
Great night. We stayed overnight and had breakfast the next day. Room was clean, neat and lovely. Many channels available on television also. Breakfast offered nice variety and the pool was clean and wonderful.
I'm shocked so many people have reviewed this property so highly...we needed a place for the night that was pet friendly....but it's not worth even the Expedia discounted rate... Pulling in from the main road you think you're at the wrong place until you drive around back. And it really doesn't get much better from there. I will say that The pool area is nice for what it is and the beds aren't terrible. Beyond that - this place had a MINOR facelift a couple years ago and is otherwise pretty awful whenever you look - the bathroom update is just pathetic, the wallpaper is gross, the ‘artwork' in the rooms is what you'd expect in your grandparents basement, the furniture (other than a new desk chair) is clearly outdated and beat up - I could go on and on. Very clearly a place built in the 70s that they're just slapping more paint on... There are better options.
We originally booked for 4 nights. Then we had a family emergency. Had to keep extending our stay plus booking 2 additional rooms for some more family. The hotel personnel couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The young lady helping with breakfast was wonderful. As I am using a cane she made sure I got my food with ease. She even cleared a table , so I didn't have to stand. Ended up staying 11 days. Our room was always clean.
Great location on Long Island. Near shopping, restaurants and not far from NYC. Rates for this area are exceptional. Rooms are small but comfortable. Breakfast is as good as any big hotel that includes free breakfasts.
The hotel was reasonably priced for the area. Close to numerous restaurants, either a short walk or ride. Staff could not have been nicer, more accommodating and taking the extra step to resolving an issue or providing helpful advice.
I almost never post a negative review but this time I must. I booked a room with 2 queen beds w/kitchenette months in advance for a concert we were going to in Westbury. When I got there I was told that "There was a problem with your Queen Bed Room (with a kitchenette) so we had to put you in a double bed room (with NO kitchenette)." The front desk clerk was NOT friendly at all and she had also told the person in front of us the same thing about THEIR Queen Bed Room? Obviously it was suspicious at best and untrue at worst. She offered absolutely no apology and acted like it was a "matter of fact" problem. Not good for the hotel's first person of contact. Needless to say, 2 people sleeping in a SMALL double bed was not comfortable at all! I will honestly say that the room was clean so that's why I didn't make it a huge deal but I was NOT happy! The desk clerk also couldn't answer 3 simple questions about the area when asked by a few customers either. To me, a front desk clerk should be familiar with the area since travelers from out of state usually depend on recommendations from the hotel. The only reason I even gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the breakfast attendant. I had read some negative reviews on here about the breakfast not being good but it actually was. The breakfast attendant (Flor) put out a very good FRESH breakfast with a lot of choices and went way above and beyond to keep it fully stocked and kept everyone satisfied. She even went table to table the entire time we were there to ask everyone how it was. She truly cares about every customer there. The desk clerk from the night before should take lessons on making customers happy from Flor! Flor was the only shining star we encountered there and she should be commended! My tip for anyone booking a room here: Call before hand to confirm that you'll be getting the bed choice you booked, otherwise you may end up scrunched together in a tiny double bed and, therefore, not getting a good night's sleep. And after all, getting a good night's sleep is why you book a hotel in the first place, right?
Very briefly--room was a queen with kichenette. Clean overall. Very worn and dated furniture. Excellent location for our needs, near parkways and main roads. Biggest flaw--no hot water for 6 of the 13 nights we stayed. Interestingly, always hot water on Sunday and Monday. Morning showers ran cold after 30 seconds. Front desk placated us--promised repairs that never happened. Because we had already unpacked many suitcases for the stay, we declined a room change. I am unclear if this would have helped--if we had no hot water why would another room have it?
Old-fashioned, outside corridor motel style. Outside stairs. No elevators that I saw. Room was clean, but musty. Linens were clean. Bed was acceptable. Breakfast was acceptable, but unremarkable. Very expensive for the accommodations - but the area is very expensive, and this is what passes for budget on LI.
Even though this property is listed as a Best Western, they don't want to participate in Best Western Rewards. A big pain to get point credit for my recent stay. Hotel was paid over $85 a night. Not a discounted rate.
Room smell hits you as soon as you open the door. Musty odor. Room is a dark cave with poor lighting. Bathroom had substantial mold in shower enclosure. Bathroom door doesn't open all the way due to bad position of door stop mounted to floor. Hot breakfast foods included a pan of "scrambled eggs" that did not taste anything like eggs, a pan of what-looked-like leftover hash browns from several days mixed together, and, what's worse, a third pan with a mix of those "eggs" and hash browns. Breakfast server mixing cups of yogurt on the breakfast counter by squeezing it out of a large bag (making a mess with yogurt spilling all over. Pastries were stale. I know that Long Island jacks up their prices this time of year, but for $150 + tax/fees, we should expect much better from Best Western. Was embarrassed to have brought 2 business associates here this week.
the small room seemed cleaned but didn't smell it. I used my pine spray but couldn't rid the room of the odor. The desk staff coming and going were really nice and they do a good breakfast with people assisting. I heard people request a shuttle so it has its good points. I did mention the smell when I checked out so maybe that will help.
Had a need for housing for visiting relatives and they selected Woodbury Inn, which as a Long Islander from Centerport have passed many times but never had a stay there. The hotel is convenient and closeby to shopping. It was easy to pick them up and drop them off in the evenings. They were quite happy with the quality and service of the hotel and would definitely stay here again/
Not worth for the amount paid. Just using a brand name wont improve the quality of the rooms. I stayed in Best Western locations before. Comparing to other locations this location don't meet room space or quality anywhere close to other locations.
First room offered had no window . ( prison cell comes to mind ) Second room was fine . Easy self service breakfast available . Good choice from eggs to bagels .No frills but ok and good value . Beds comfortable and TV in the room.
At first glance, not a high-end, fancy establishment. Building is a bit dated, outside needs some cosmetic repairs...broken sidewalk bricks, crooked lights, etc. However, the rooms and linens are spotless, the staff is helpful and outgoing, breakfast is yummy with lots of choices. It is a safe neighborhood with lots of shopping and dining, from budget to high end. The main reason we stay at this BW is that it is one of the only pet friendly establishments in the area. There are rooms designated for pets with flooring instead of carpet. Always clean and freshly mopped and disinfected upon checking in. Much better than wondering whose dog has peed on the carpet before your stay. The cost is a bit higher, but on par with other motels in the area. Long Island is always slightly higher than other areas. A suggestion would be a nice grassy area on the property with clean up stations to walk your dog...would encourage folks to clean up. There isn't a great area to potty your dog on the property, but there are nice sidewalks and grassy areas within a brief walking distance. There is an old closed restaurant in the front of the property that is not being used. It would be wonderful if BW could open up the restaurant sometime in the future. We will continue to stay with BW woodbury when we visit LI with our dogs.
room was clean, staff very nice, price was ok, but fell short for a handicap person. Shower could be improved, no hand held shower wand and railings could be added on ramps. Would stay again because my family is close and I need help do to being handicaped.
Upon check in the staff were friendly and even able to get me a room with a king bed which I was not able to do online. The room was nice and very quiet. It also had all that I needed. Everything was clean and comfortable. If you have anything to do in this area, it's a very reasonably priced option to have.
Good price for this area. Very accomidating employees that go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Scarlett at the front desk goes out of her way to answer any questions you might have. Stay here on a regular basis visiting our relatives.
Room was very clean and provided every comfort needed for a short weekend stay. Would've preferred a larger bathroom but at least everything worked as expected. Also didn't like that this felt more like a motel, where the doors and windows open up to the public parking lot. We couldn't leave the curtains open because anyone walking by will see into our room. And having the curtains closed made the room feel even smaller. But other than that, since we didn't expect this place to be high-end, our stay was pleasant and comfortable.
I didn't get to enjoy this place to long but it was a nice place. Room was clean, bed was pretty comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I had no issues and there was plenty of parking. Although I didn't eat breakfast it did look pretty good.
Great location very good value for the area, rooms very comfortable staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good eating are could be larger, Plently to do in the area. Plenty of restraustants with in walking distant.
The hotel is got some years on it but it is very nicely remodeled. The thing that was so nice about this hotel aside from the incredible value was the friendly staff. They went out of there way to be really nice and accommodating. And its right in the heart of it all, easy on and off highway access. Will definitely stay here again.
I am so happy that I have found this little motel. It's much less expensive than most of the others in the area--not luxurious but a decent bed, nonsmoking, great free breakfast, clean, very nice staff, and I can park right in front of my door (I am 81 and gimpy). Hot water is hot, ventilation and TV work, what's not to like? Rooms are small, but who cares?
clean, quiet, friendly, gym, breakfast, soups in the afternoons, fruit and treats along with drinks available all day, wifi, computer and printer in lobby, cleaners, fast service, newspaper available.
The room was clean but was in desperate need of a facelift. The rugs seemed very old and the building was not in great condition, ceilings and walls peeling and cracking. The best part about the room was the shower, it was a good size and had good water pressure, plenty of hot water. There was not a nice comfortable chair to sit in the room. The staff was very good and accommodating but on our fifth night into a seven night stay some loud, inconsiderate people arrived upstairs from us. There was lots of loud noise like a party was going on upstairs. They must have been out and came back to the room about 3:30 am and from that point on we could not sleep. We called the front desk to complain after about 20 minutes. It got a little better after that but still too noisy to sleep. We hoped they would be gone the next night but sure enough, about 3:30 to 4:00 am they showed up and brought along a van full of people, at least 6-8 more and the noise continued until 7 or 8 am. With one night to go and a long drive after that ahead of me, I went up to the front desk and told them I needed to cancel the last night and find somewhere quiet to get a good night's rest. After I explained why I was told the manager called out, the girl at the front desk let me cancel the last night and comped me one of the other nights. Also, we had a dog with us and they told me they only had one pet friendly room however, I found out that at least 2 more rooms had dogs staying with the guests.
Clean rooms and an excellent breakfast. I have never been treated so well at a hotel breakfast. I was met by Rose Caruso and she was wonderful. She made me a waffle and could not have been more helpful and pleasant.
The cleanest, quietest, and probably friendliest hotel we stayed at in quite a while. The breakfast wasexceptional with everything I like and more. Waffles, scrambled eggs with potatoes, bagels, danish, fruit and more. Plenty of room even with the king bed. We used the coffee machine with the prepackaged coffee packs. The shower was great. The location was just off rt 135 which gave us the access to all the towns across the area we were visiting. What else can I say?
We stay here when we visit relatives on Long Island. Clean, comfortable and close to our destination. Our only wish is that the bathrooms were bigger - not a lot of room to move at all! The optiosn for brrakfast are tremendous - so many to pick from, we love it!!
Our room was clean and comfortable and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, on Friday night we were awakened at 3 a.m. by a phone call from the front desk asking us to please reduce the noise, as "there are people who will be attending a funeral today." The party was not in our room and we were the ones attending the funeral! When my husband told the clerk that, he mumbled that he would have to go check things out. The party noise eventually was subdued somewhat but it still took over an hour for us to get back asleep. That same night we were also disturbed by moans, groans, and shouts of pleasure (insert your own interpretation of what was happening) - apparently the room walls are on the thin side. Besides that one night, our stay was good. The staff assisted every morning with breakfast, including making our pancakes and waffles for us and bringing them to our table! We've never had that kind of service before.
Our stay at the Best Western Woodbury Inn was very pleasant. Although we were only there 1 night due to a holiday party nearby we were very impressed. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. The waffles were delicious, the pancake machine was very cool and the food was abundant. The staff member overseeing the breakfast area was on point cleaning up spills and messes as soon as they happened. The front desk staff were very pleasant. We would recommend the Best Western Woodbury Inn to everyone looking for a hotel in the area.
My husband was having a procedure for his back and we were about 200 miles from home. We had stopped after the procedure to grab a bite before the long ride home. The car stalled and that was that. The alternator was shot and so were we. So many things went wrong after that it was staggering. But just as we were at the end of our rope there were angels in the form of Best Western. Upon checking in Scarlett our Receptionist was wonderful. She offered us some hot soup and cider doughnuts. She was so sympathetic to our plight and made us feel so welcome. The room was pristine and very cozy. The bed was like lying on a cloud. We had no supplies to shower with but Scarlett was quick to supply us with all we needed. The next morning we went for breakfast and met Rose who took care of us like we were special. The breakfast was great and the coffee was hot and the waffles inviting. They had everything you could want for breakfast. It was truly as if we were staying with family. Thank you Scarlett, Rose, Jeffrey( the day desk clerk) you were all so wonderful we cant wait to come and stsy with you all again...
This hotel is good for several reasons. Convenient to restaurants and shopping, quiet area, very friendly staff and it is generally less expensive than other hotels in the area. I stay here whenever I have clients in that general area, radius of 30 miles.
I was very happy with my stay there as I am always am. The people at the desk go out of their way to be friendly and help you with anything that you need. The rooms are very clean. In addition, the breakfasts have a lot to offer. It is also located very conveniently to shopping and eating places.
I have stayed here several times in the last few years. Staff is consistently warm and helpful. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast and I loved the gourmet teas. We will stay here again in the future!
Good value for the price in this area of Long Island. Very comfortable and quiet.Great motel staff that goes ut of their way to make everything work but Motel is in need of some upgrades. Some paint ,new sinks, shower plumbing, and toilets would go a long way for a reasonable cost.
The room was clean and beds comfortable. Also, it was very quiet during the night. Staff was accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was ok but the breakfast staff was outstanding. Came to our table multiple times to serve more coffee and make and deliver my pancake.
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Let me start off by saying from the time we checked in until we left, every staff member we encountered were incredibly kind and helpful, very welcoming. Room was average, beds were super comfortable. The cost for 1 weekend night for a room with 2 double beds was a little pricey, maybe its the location, not sure, might be average for the area. Overall we were satisfied with our stay. Breakfast was above par, very yummy and lots of options. Location was nice, a number of restaurants all within no more than a 10 minute drive. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely consider staying there again.
My boyfriend and I are attending a wedding at the neighboring fox hollow and decided to stay here one night to save some money. I am glad we did, because this is a lovely hotel. The front desk team treats everyone like their VIPs. We received a free upgrade and a goody bag since we're members of the Best Western rewards program. We were starving and Jeff gave us several recommendations for lunch. The room, while nothing fancy, is VERY clean. The bed is also quite comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Tonight we are going to move an stay at the inn in fox hollow but I'd rather just stay here for another night. Keep up the good work Woodbury Inn!
The staff at this Best Western tries to be helpful with any situation you may have. Especially helpful are the gracious Breakfast attendants Flor Melgar and Rose Caruso who help start you day with their smiles and assistance from getting together your Breakfast choices to refilling your beverages. Even with its small area this hotels breakfast experience outshines any other in recent memory. When visiting family, the gracious staff is a major factor in our returning for weekly stays several times a year, year after year. Keep up the good work and see you next Spring!
We have stayed at this location over the last 10 years. It has always been very accommodating and a great experience. Anytime we had an issue, it was addressed immediately. They always seem to be upgrading this location each year, a good thing keeping up with other hotels. It is a good location for business when I was there for that purpose, and a great location for family/friends visits. Great value for your money with all the amenities. They are always friendly, accommodating and welcoming no matter when you arrive.
We had a weekend overnight stay for a friend's wedding nearby. The inn is located right on the corner and is really easy to spot. Despite being at a busy intersection, the area was very pretty and quiet. The trees and the nature surrounding the inn make you feel as if you're somewhere more rustic and relaxed. The room was clean and pleasant, the bed was very comfortable and the view of the trees from our window were beautiful. We had a small issue with our room bathroom but the woman at the front desk helped us out so much that it really made our trip great. It's really lovely to see a staff that really makes the effort to go above and beyond to help their customers. That definitely made us want to come back to stay here.
Terrible Experience. The bed had bugs walking over it. And there was reallly heavy rain and the gutters were overflowing and making a lot of noise, As they did not go into the drainpipe. Kept me awake on and off all night. Waking me up.
Staff barely smiles and seems like they dont care. TV did not properly work and doorknob broke in my hand at 11PM (I was told I was lucky they were still at the property) Peeling wallpaper and wear and tear all over Loud ACUPDATE YOUR KEY SYSTEM. BED WAS GREAT!
I thought that I was going to stay in a decent hotel. The room did not match was I was led to believe by their website. I could have gone to a nearby hotel for a lot less with most likely the same quality. Overall the room was depressing, poor lighting and ventilation. The bed seemed decent and the staff was nice.
I just spent a night at the Best Western Woodbury Inn after attending a wedding close by. We stayed in the Executive King room which was located on the top floor and we accessed it via elevator. It was a nice room, not as overly spacious as I expected but it was clean. Our view was the front of the property on Jericho Turnpike which was fine, we were there for just the night and not for a vacation. There were fresh basked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby when we arrived. In the morning there was a complimentary small breakfast. The staff was all very nice, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Very helpful and friendly staff. They accommodated our needs quickly and efficiently. The front desk quickly worked to correct a Hotels.com reservation that did not get conveyed to them correctly and made sure that I paid no more than I had been expecting to. The staff, particularly Ms. Rose Caruso, Breakfast Experience Agent, got us going each morning for our trip to the US Open at Flushing Meadow with enthusiasm and helpfulness that I have not encountered before. She was a superstar! Clean rooms and terrific employees. Convenient and priced right for our trip
We were more than satisfied with our stay at this Best Western. We only needed an overnight stay following a nearby wedding. The room was a nice size with all the amenities needed. Quite a nice complimentary breakfast was available too. The breakfast agent, Rose, was a gem. She saw that our son, who happens to be autistic, needed help and she couldn't have risen higher to the occasion. I felt like a princess mom. This certainly made the stay a blessing.
We were in the building that faces Jericho Turnpike. Everything in the building seems run-down. The entrance door was always smelling of cigarette smoke, even though the entire facility is non-smoking. Also, right outside the entrance door is where they park all of the dirty linen carts, waiting for washing/drying. So, it's a mess all day. Scarlett, at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The staff that provided breakfast was pleasant and kept the food stations filled. However, the breakfast room is much, much too small for the hotel this size. The bedroom itself was relatively clean when we first arrived, but the housekeeping staff who came daily left things undone. A dirty towel was left on the floor, toothpaste was left on the countertop, etc. The grounds weren't particularly well kept. There was litter in the hallways and the elevator. The place just needs a giant facelift and thorough cleaning. Although we frequent Best Westerns in our travels, we would not return to this one.
Wonderful and Kind Staff at Best Western Woodbury. The staff helped me navigate the area during a very difficult time. I had a lovely room, free internet, free parking, and a delicious breakfast every morning. I was always greeted with a smile and kind words. Thank You from the Bottom of My Heart.
Great staff and very helpful. At check in they were able to upgrade our room from a double to a king size bed. Breakfast was excellent with scrambled eggs, made to order waffles, bagels, oatmeal, coffee and muffins.
I found this to be the best hotel on my trip so far. I was nice and quiet, extremely competent staff, great cleanliness, fantastic breakfast... My only issue was that the wifi was borderline unusable because of its speed.
When touring or just getting away to Long Island, I completely recommend the Bes Western Woodbury location. These are hardworking, caring people that are concerned about your comfort and enjoyment in their facility. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned and the breakfast is just fabulous. There is a wonderful lady there every morning to greet you and ask if you need and assistance, always with a smile and warm personality.
The hotel is more like a motor lodge with its outside entrances. We were given room keys for an unmade room then waited for another room. The hotel is worn out and badly in need of renovation. The carpet in the room was filthy and turned white socks black. We found a sock under the bed which wasn't ours. The desk handles were broken. When we turned on the TV it had to be set up to scan for channels. Our room cost $180 with taxes. I know it's NY but it's way overpriced for its condition. The pool area was nice except for unsupervised kids throwing all the towels in the pool. I called the front desk. The kids remained unsupervised. The breakfast was decent but some people were standing due to lack of seating. I also wrote BW through their web site and had hoped to receive a response before posting a negative review. Nada! The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us a bag for being BW members with bottled water, cookies, and chips.I recommend them but not he hotel. We endured for one night. We would not have stayed a second night.
We stay there last week for two nignts as guests for a wedding in the Long Island area. Everything was ok. The staff was courteous, the room comfortable. We appreciate the complimentary breakfast, the WiFi access. Even it's not so good looking from the exterior.
This is the worst hotel ever. I planned to stay for 3 days but I was there for less than 12 hour. I can't believe this hotel named best western. I think it was a motel before. It's dull, small and filthy. They ended up charging me for 1/2 a day because I gave them same of the bug that we found in the room. Nasty and dull place.
I stay at this hotel every year, at least once a year. It is my place to be when I have to go visit relatives. The staff has always been super helpful and courteous, the breakfast is great and the pool is a welcomed joy. It may not look as good as it is from the exterior, but it is a hidden gem. There is a park about 1/2 mile down the road that is also very nice. I would recommend staying at this hotel anytime.
From the moment we walked in to the lobby area the staff were so helpful and asked if we needed help to find our room as we were staying on the the executive floor. They personally walked us over to the room and helped us with our luggage. The breakfast is very impressive and had a lot of choices to chose from for even the little ones. I would come back to this hotel in a heart beat!
Needed a hotel room for one night for a wedding. Room was clean, girl at check in and check out was great. Nothing to complain about. Breakfast was decent and had to go cups for coffee. Overall I would go back if i was in the area.
I recently stayed here for business. My room was clean, safe, and peaceful. The bed was comfortable. Most notably, I found that the staff were sensitive to traveler needs. They were accommodating of our requests, and they seemed to prioritize the comfort of our guests. I also got the sense that the rooms were recently updated, or, at least, well cared-for. I would stay here again.
I agree with the odd configuration but I have to say that it has an internal entrance to the second floor. The service was good and the room was clean. Breakfast in the morning is complementary and was not bad at all.
The hotel is an odd configuration. You have to go through two doors to get to the oddly situated elevator. Then two more to get to the rooms. I wouldn't want to be there in the winter on the second floor since the room access is from the outside. Hotel room was on the small side, basically clean but heavy duty drapes were not. There was something in the corner of the shower track that may have been caulking.....or not. TV selections are awful. There is no CBS to begin with; no HLN; and I don't know what all else. It was hard to find something to watch. If you are willing to put up with these things the price is good. Didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on that
Staff great, accomodations great, outside needs work. Breakfast was ok, very caring staff, desk help, and cleaning people. Would recommend staying here. Please don't let the outside appearance deter you.
Single double bed room like a closet. So much room deodorizer that even after an hour with the door open no change. Plug receptacle under desk had no cover, a hole with adapter plugged in hard to explain but looked unsafe. So dissatisfied called customer service and were offered a deal but even with discount we checked out. After 4 HR drive and seeing the ratings we were shocked. We use best Western normally and have never had anything negative to say.
We had stayed at this hotel 2 years prior and decided to try it again on a recent visit. This location is an older motel style unit with many updates done or in progress. The rooms are clean, nothing spectacular but nice with decent TV, king size bed and small sitting area. The staff here is amazingly accommodating and friendly !!! We arrived after a long day of travel early and inquired if our room would be ready. They explained it's usually an extra charge if we occupy the room before 12, but they took our number and would call us as we went to a neighboring mall. Around 11:30 we received a call saying our room is ready and come on back! Awesome! They also have a great free breakfast in the mornings and offer soup at 4 pm to fill that afternoon void you may have. Shuttle service is also offered free between 8am -8 pm to local locations upon availability. This is a really nice feature that was mush appreciated. So if you are looking for a hotel with a great staff and value, try the Woodbury Best Western!
Staff was really helpful, courteous, they went out their way to make my stay more enjoyable. breakfast was really good the hotel was clean, the public restroom was really clean. Overall an excellent experience.
I was happy with the staff interaction and the breakfast that was provided by the hotel. The staff was very friendly and quick to assist me with any issues that I had. The breakfast had a lot variety as well. The room was pretty clean and had a decent amount of space. However, there were a few things that occurred that I felt should have been caught by the staff before I even arrived. First, all of my sheets had stains on them. This is including the comforter. I had to strip my bed and put new sheets on them. The shower head was broken. There was a chunk of it missing, so the water just fell to the floor rather than spraying out. Lastly, the heater did not turn off. When I called the Front Desk, I was advised to unplug it. This wasn't really plausible since it was winter in NY with a snowstorm.
I stayed only for one night, but I would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is a motel style building, nicely decorated, very clean, quiet and comfortable. All you need for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was awesome. I would definitely stay again.
One of the main features of the long island experiences, is the many options of restaurants and the availability of hotels. The Woodbury Best Western have been a continued bright spot in the Nassau NY. area for years. With their caring staff, comfortable and clean rooms, as well as a hot breakfast meal each morning, the desire to stay at this facility is high on my list each month.
This rundown place have seen a better days. This is by far worst best Western I have ever seen. Look and feel of cheap motel 6. It was hard to tell at night, maybe it is under renovation, but the front was not lit at all.
This hotel was just what I was looking for. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. It contained many choices that would suit anyone's needs. Coffee and other beverages were available all day and all night. There is a soup time every day from 4-6 P.M., with two types of soups available. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Here's the problem- I accidently left my purse on the floor next to my table on Friday, January 26th around 5 P.M., after having soup. I received a call in the room after 6P.M. saying they had my purse. My boyfriend went down to retrieve it, without being checked for identity. I found out later that they had used my phone to call my friend to find out where I was. It was the last call I had made. When I checked my purse, it was missing over $200.00!!! A woman had called, and when my boyfriend went to the desk, it was only men behind the counter. Someone on the staff had helped him or herself to lots of my money. I had not spent any cash on this trip, using only credit cards. The money was taken from two places in such a way that some was still there, trying to conceal the theft. I was missing $20s, $10's and $5's! Someone on this staff is not trustworthy and needs to be dealt with. If you choose to stay here, just be careful to hold on to your belongings tightly. It's a shame one bad employee can ruin the name of such a good company!!
I stayed with my husband for a family function. The free breakfast is good. The room was clean with extra pillows and a sitting area. Free Wi-Fi was a plus. Helpful and friendly staff. Good price for what you get. One problem we did encounter was a couple who came in and seemed to be hording food and they were very aggressive in the food area on one morning. Later I saw them smoking weed in the parking area which explained the odd behavior. Never ever saw anything like this at the hotel and we have been there before. Did not hear any noise from our room. The surrounding area is very nice.
It was my own fault for being in a hurry when I made the reservation. I didn't notice that I had booked a room with one double bed. It's been so long since I've even seen a double bed that I didn't pay close attention. They weren't kidding! The whole room was comparably sized, including the tiny bathroom. With that being said, the mattress was comfortable and the room was clean. There was a draft coming from the ill-fitting door but we did find an extra blanket. The room had a refrigerator and coffee maker but no microwave. On the good side, I give them an A for breakfast. Great choices.
Thank you Best Western Woodbury!! I had a flood in my home and had to stay three days. I was treated so nicely. I am 84 year's old so the staff called to check in on me often. I wanted to stay here instead of with my daughter because I love the large extra clean rooms with free coffee all day and soup in the afternoon. Just a treat!! I stayed during Sandy they were extra caring to all that lost power and they made room for my family. I can't say enough about the people at the front desk!!! The lovely woman who handles the food area is the sweetest. Thank you again.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Was a little noisy. There were guests below me that seemed to have lots of dogs. I am not sure what the pet policy is here. Shower was good, great hot water and excellent pressure. Bathroom was a bit cramped.
Hotel was in a great location for us and well priced. We stayed there on new years eve after a party. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was efficient and helpful. Would recommend it and we woukd stay again.
We always stay here when we travel to New York for our family Christmas visit. This location is our only choice. Thanks for the great location, breakfast and comfortable rooms. We especially enjoy the ability to pick first or second floor rooms - depending on what works best for you.
Service and employees are great. The food is good and the rooms are good as well. The internet is bad and needs to be fix or make it better. The motel employees try to fix it but it work for moment then it started acting up again.
Pictures made it look great for the price. IN reality the rooms seem to be in the middle of a general redecoration but were, overall, clean and good. Staff was very polite and professional. Breakfast was included and good. I'd go back but know you get what you pay and this is an inexpensive place for Long Island, NY - adjust expectations accordingly.
As commented by other reviewers, Best Western updated this previous motel, and installs the BW style of operation and management. The Executive Room with king sized bed has more updated bland furnishings, but HVAC system is ancient and noisy throughout the night. The toilet also gets clogged easy. However, the staff were uniformly polite, friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff and clean rooms with amazing breakfast area Highly recommend and will return when in area again. Check in was fast and efficient, staff went above and beyond nd to be helpful and every request was granted without hesitation!
i have explained and expressed my stay and have been as honest as i could. room was not satisfactory for me nor my husband. we've stayed in many best westerns before and will continue to stay in your establishment again but not in the woodbury ny one. we didn't like the lack of upgrades cosmetically, more so on our saturday stay more so than our sunday stay which was a little bit better.
We stayed here for few weeks. It was OK. Booked a queen room with kitchenette. But when we checked in, they put us in a room with no kitchenette and later when we asked they moved us. Toiletries were different in quality among the two rooms. In the kitchenette, only one small stove worked and the big stove was broken. Breakfast was decent. Lady at the breakfast place was helpful. Housekeeping was OK. You have to let them clean when the housekeeping knocks. If not, no cleaning that day. We ran out of toilet paper one day. They over supplied towels though. Room heater worked fine. Very basic tv channels, it was boring. No dishwasher. Bathroom vent was noisy. Stay was OK for the price.
Whenever I travel to Long Island, this is my first choice hotel, very clean, very kind staff, love the "goodie" package, cookies home made and artisan chips, Delicious water...processing in and out was a breeze, they really execute with excellence!
You can't beat this motel for its location and staff. No, this is not a new hotel. The rooms are dark and outdated, but they are clean and the staff is amazing. Several soups are offered in lobby area in the evening and at the complementary breakfast in the morning there is actually a staff member serving coffee and helping guests. The bagels were NY bagels and delicious. If you want something new and shiny, this is not for you; if you want a good location with a clean room at a reasonable price, this place fits the bill.
Good hotel and great people running it that we have stayed at many times in the past but the Best Western company is now playing games with service charges. There is now a $2 a day Ecostay fee on the bill to pay for the ECO marked CHINA made toilet paper, tissue paper and ECO labeled soap labeled made in PRC (guess where that is ?). What will you start charging for next.
Stayed two nights while attending a wedding in the area. ALL the staff were outstanding. Flor, breakfast attendant is amazing! She makes your day begin with a smile. Our shuttle driver Mike was professional yet very friendly and pleasant. Please thank your staff who made lot of out of town wedding guests feel welcome.
I am not sure where to start. I just got off the phone with my credit card company disputing charges from this god awful hotel/motel. This hotel is run down and should be condemned. Back in August my family and I stayed at the hotel for a wedding. We booked two rooms for (4) nights through Expedia. The exterior of the hotel is more like a run down motel. Pulling into the parking lot gave us the creeps, which should have been our warning sign. When we got into our rooms, we were welcomed by the smell of mildew mixed with urine, the carpet looked old, dingy, and dirty. The rooms were like a dark brownish color, old fashioned comforters, outdated and very dull. Unidentifiable stains on the walls. We were disgusted! I advised the front desk clerk a bearded, heavy set white guy that we were extremely dissatisfied with our rooms. He apologized for the inconvenience and and had the maintenance guy (s) cleaned the AC filter. The only thing they did was add a pile of dust on the dirty carpet. Ugh!! On our first & last night my husband had a bug crawling on his arm, while laying on the bed. He stomped on it before my sister and I could figured out what type of bug it was. Ewww!! Because we were there for a wedding, the bearded heavy set white guy said they will charge us for (2) nights and we will get refunded for (2) nights. We agreed. Unbelievable! They only refunded one room for the (2) nights, and gave partial refund on the second room. Really?! For the last three months I've been going back and forth with them and Expedia. Their replied to my credit card company stating " I failed to inform them" Lies, Lies, Lies, They're so full of it! Your guests checked out days early and you have no idea why? You don't ask why? Let me get this straight you refunded one room, gave partial on the second one (WHY?) They're bunch of crooks! What a nightmare!! Never ever would I recommend this place, poor service, and dirty rooms. Please stay away from this awful place! It's more like a motel with horrible service!
This hotel has the best customer service out there. I stay here all the time and love it each time I go. Front desk is amazing breakfast you can't beat it. Free shuttle as well close to everything. Will be back soon!!!
We stayed at the Best Western Woodbury Inn the night after a wedding. I was surprised at how rundown the hotel was. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but this is an old Best Western that desperately needs to be updated. The breakfast area is very small and the food is very average. Big kudos to the shuttle drivers though. They were very gracious in taking the wedding guests to and from the venue. The outside lights near our room on the second floor kept flickering on and off, so it was rather dark when we came back at night. The stairs to the second floor are old metal ones and they were somewhat slick in the rain. There is a sign that says use the inside stairs, but there is nothing on the second floor to identify where those stairs might be. I don't know what else is available in this area, but the Best Western would not be my first choice.
My stay there was as part of my little brother's wedding. I was able to enjoy every minute of the event because I did not have to worry about other things. From catching the shuttle to the wedding location the night of and the next morning for a family breakfast, to have a luxurious shower before and after and a great night sleep, I had a great time!
Through Hotwire a good deal, nice complimentary hot breakfast, seasonal outdoor pool with attractive grounds and small exercise room. Affordable and quiet. Nice location near LIE and Parkway. Corner room on the upper floor is very quiet.
We like to stay at this motel because it is a great value. The service is excellent and the breakfast and soup evening event are really nice. The rooms are normal, we usually book on Priceline and get the value room, double instead of queen, but that's what we paid for. Their King rooms are great. It is a motel though so keep your expectations in line.
Your home away from home. Centrally located on Long Island. Easy access to the expressway. Breakfast is awesome many choices. Warm and cozy. The staff is very helpful. The grounds are beautiful especially in spring and summer.
Screaming, running jumping children in over head rooms, perhaps a multi room family occasion. Children running and jumping overhead in the corridors and on our level. Complained to management, noise stopped but resumed again. Management refused to move us. Disgusting seedy place
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean, and I couldn't hear noise from other rooms even though the hotel was completely full. (Thick walls.) Nice mattresses, and although the sheets were a little rough, they were very clean and there were enough of them. No caffeinated coffee was available for the in-room coffeemaker, but this was probably a temporary glitch and anyway they have coffee in the lobby too. Tons of noise comes through the door, at least on weekends. The parking lot is really loud. There were at least 2 wedding parties present when I was there, and I gather this is a feature most weekends, so if noise is a concern, ask when you make your reservation. There was noise from wedding guests arguing in the parking lot, people coming up and down the metal stairs, shuttle buses backing up with their beepers turned to extra-loud, and people honking their horns to get someone to come out of their room. This goes on pretty much till midnight or maybe later. Bring earplugs. I saw an earlier review that said there was a bedbug (one bedbug?), and I have my doubts about this. I detected no sign of anything like that.
This is my go to hotel in Long Island. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are clean. It is not flashy or brand new, but everything works and it is very convenient. I have used many of the amenities over the years and have been rarely disappointed.
I stay here often ,it is clean. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I will not stay anywhere else when in area. It is close to shopping , dining and not far from NYC and the other beautiful places on the Island to visit.
Didn't get the room I reserved and was put in a small room with no windows. The establishment is dated and worn. The sheets were dirty and the bathroom was small. I don't think it meets the BW standard
I could not get any peace and relaxation any of my nine days at this hotel. The ceiling is paper thin and if it's not the maid waking you up, it's the person above you assigned to the room above you. Bring a LOUD white noise machine with you to block out the noise from above.
We stayed here on a Saturday night. The exterior of the property, especially from the highway, is very unattractive - almost looking abandoned.... we weren't sure if we really even wanted to check in. You need to drive round the back side of the property to get to the lobby. Desk Employees were pleasant - housekeeping too. Rooms were clean enough - but fan in the bathroom was very loud, with no switch to turn it off separately..... it was a basic no-frills room. Wifi was so weak, we were not able to use it, which was disappointing. The small breakfast "area" is basically in the lobby by the front entrance, with only a few tables. The walls/floors are thin - we stayed in a first floor unit - heard a lot of noise from neighboring units all night. Honestly, we would not recommend staying here - if you had another choice.
This place should more correctly be labeled a motel. While the do serve a decent breakfast, there is no lunch or dinner and no bar. The room itself was exactly as expected, king size bed a sink alcove and a separate bathroom. Bed, TV and desk were all adequate. The bathroom was a little small but while not having a walking shower it did have a low step in tub with a grab rail. The breakfast lady and the chamber maid were both excellent.
Spent 5 days for my 50th Class reunion and was concerned by the reviews since they were mixed. PROS Rate was 60.00 a night cheaper than most rooms in the area front desk was very pleasant and helpful, room was clean plenty of towels and pillows. The breakfast was great with eggs waffles French toast and pancakes as well as fresh fruit oatmeal cereal and pastries. the coffee was excellent with flavored creamers which were available 24 hours a day. Plenty of restaurants close by. CONS this is an older motel and did have some minor details but did not affect my stay. Rooms were outside entrance . I would recommend this motel for anyone who is on a budget the savings would be well spent on eating out.
When we pulled up to this place it was dark and we thought it was closed. We drove around back to find the lobby, if you can call it that. I thought because it was in an upscale neighborhood it would be fine for the evening. This place is more like a motel than a hotel
Service was excellent and room was clean. Breakfast was good. Bathroom in our room was run down. Exhaust fan did not run so it caused alot of moisture issues in bathroom. Door peeling, molding cracked, Paint and sheetrock very patchy. Floor tiles cracked. TV's need to be updated. Beds were comfortable.
Room quality is acceptable. Staff was excellent. Fitness center needs to be better maintained. The outside stairs need to be protected from the rain. Breakfast was well done and was more than acceptable.
The staff here go the extra mile to make it comfortable. The 24-hr juice/coffee bar was exceptional, breakfast complete and well-attended, cleanliness was great overall. You can tell when employees are being well-trained and led by someone with a positive attitude. The bathrooms were small as usual and ours had only a stand up shower (which I don't mind at all, I am not going to take a bath in a hotel room) but if you had kids it might be an issue so ask about that.
I like the hotel due to it's location near stores, restaurants and major routes. The staff is caring and friendly and appear to provide well for their guests. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years. My issue with this facility is that it is very dated and in need of an upgrade. The WiFi network has been upgraded and works better than in the past. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and hope that the owners consider updating the facility.
Staff is outstanding and they give you a welcome bag with bottles of water and treats. The rooms are clean and comfy. The breakast was very good and attendant acted like a waitress. The hotel is one of the best hotel I stayed at during my recent trip.easy to locate and close to restaurants and highways.
Checked in late evening. Hotel full. Our room smelled and was not clean. Obtained vacuum and Clorox to clean and disinfect our room myself. Thought I was on Candid Camera. Fell asleep, only to be woken by the people next door, who TRASHED their room (saw the door open in morning) Staff was nice and tried to accommodate us as best they could. Moved us to “freshly cleaned” room the following morning. However, the A/C wasn't working properly and made the room smell of mildew. It was all almost comical. The place needs a makeover and freshening up. Would NOT stay there again, though my kids liked the “free” buffet breakfast.
We were in town for a family wedding and this hotel was fairly close and reasonably priced. Turns out it was also located close to transportation into NYC and several nearby restaurants. The staff was very helpful. There was a shuttle to the train station to get into NYC. Also about 25 minutes to Jones Beach. Although listed as having a continental breakfast, eggs and sausage were also served. The only negative was the layout of the breakfast area. It doesn't take too many people before it becomes crowded and difficult to get to the food. Although we didn't get in, they have a very nice pool area. We sat there for some relaxing downtime.
TV didn't work when we checked in. Water pipe broken had no water in room for 2 hours Very noisy in room next door Room keys had to be changed out 5 times Good location to restaurants and roads. good breakfast mostly friendly staff They did adjust the bill because of the various problems
We have stayed at Woodbury BW for many years. Have had good experiences Staff extremely helpful . Great location Breakfast, snacks all day and night very good. We recommend it highly Good value . We we will stay there again for Thanjsgiving
A good hotel at a decent price, you got a basic room with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. Allison, was exceptionally friendly at check in. The continental breakfast had good pastries, eggs, potatoes, bagels, etc. We will stay there again.
Super clean, excellent staff, good breakfast, convenient location to local sights (Sagamore Hill, Vanderbilt Mansion). Excellent restaurants walking distance. Beautiful pool area. Only downside was no elevator.
Great staff amazing service easy and convienent !!! Highly reccomend. Staff was friendly and attentive. Location was perfect. Quiet and clean. Would reccomend to family or business travelers. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with many options.
The hotel is right off the turnpike and the rooms have outdoor entrances, like a roadside motel. Everything was clean and the staff was nice and accommodating. It was fine for a quick inexpensive place to stay, but its nothing special, and I wouldn't necessarily want to spend a lot of time here -- but it was perfectly OK for a 1 night stopover for myself. The breakfast is nice -- the standard chain continental breakfast, but with some hot foods (sausage, eggs, pancakes).
This was a great stay for my week in Woodbury. The location is near several eateries, there's a grocery store just down the road. They have a beautiful pool and patio area. Free shuttle to the LIRR when you need it. I'd definitely stay here again.
The best thing besides the coziness of this hotel is the outdoor pool!!! It was clean and even if you dont use it, its a nice place to hang out and relax. I think it is a decent hotel for the money you pay. Its clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Its right next to a diner, so late night snacks are not a problem
The staff here is smart, sweet and could not be more helpful. The room was clean, and quiet even though it was booked to capacity. The bathroom was very small and did not have a fan or a window, which was unfortunate. Breakfast was great and fresh baked cookies appeared in the afternoon in the lobby while coffee, tea, water and juice was available always.
My business took me this time to two days at a client place in Hicksville and my US counterpart had booked this hotel thinking that it is nearby to the client place as well as good. we checked in by around 10.30 PM since our flight into la guardia was delayed and the construction work at the airport delayed us further. the checkin was smooth and quick. The hotel is a huge property, but the rooms looked old and tired. the AC unit was making a lot of noise and was not enough to cover the entire room. The breakfast was good, though
Have stayed here before, but this time had maintenance issues. Very helpful staff, but the facility is feeling dated and needs more attention to maintenance. Had issues with toilet, TV, and tub not draining. All things that you expect to be in working order.
I am truly perplexed by the 5-star ratings for this property. It is a somewhat refurbished motel, simply adequate but certainly not outstanding. The rooms are dated and very, very small. The parking lot is a challenge to negotiate, and there are not enough spaces for the number of rooms, so every night we had to park on the opposite side from where we were staying. On the other hand, parking is free, so that's good. On the plus side, the bed was quite comfortable. On the minus side, the sound-proofing between rooms is extremely poor and the noise from the adjoining room was crystal clear. Another on the plus side is a very nice pool. But another in the minus column is one of the worst selections of TV channels I have had in a hotel in recent memory. The exercise facility is sparse, but probably the best they could do in the available space. Breakfast was typical for this sort of facility: adequate but not remarkable. The best feature of this property is the staff. Every single individual with whom I interacted was friendly, polite, and effective. On the other hand, making a reservation by telephone was a nightmare. So there you have it. Some good, some bad. Not terrible but not great either. A perfect 3.
The motel was very clean and eco-friendly. However, the motel was VERY dark in the back at night. I did not feel comfortable staying in the back rooms alone as a young woman. There were a few rooms on the bottom floor sitting with the door open, and a few men just walking around. If you can, request a room by the lobby and on the 2nd floor. The motel could benefit from additional lights where the transport trucks are parked, and in the back rooms so guests feel safer.
If your in the Woodbury area and need a comfortable, affordable and nice place to stay this is it. Very accessible to restaurants of all food types. Hotel staff very accomodating. Been told to lenthen my remarks so this is what I am doing, Lol . . . Only irritating part of the survey.
Stayed here for a recent wedding in the neighborhood. Otherwise nothing to do in the immediate area. Clean room, very comfortable bed, below average wi-fi that prevented for streaming during our stay, nice service, decent breakfast for being continental.
Nice people, abundant free breakfast, and amazing towels. The check-in and check-out staff were more than friendly and helpful. The towels were what you would get in a $300/night room. Five pillows on a king bed were a bit of overkill but I guess some people like a lot of pillows. Free bottles of water at check-in and in the room were a nice amenity. This place really cares for their guests and I would DEFINITELY return if I come back to the area.
The Woodbury Inn is a motel-style structure with plenty of parking. The courtesy shuttle drives within a 4-mile radius. The LIRR Syosset station is 2.5 miles away. A golf course is nearby on Jericho Turnpike.
I closed on my home on Long Island, NY in June of 2017. I needed a temporary place that would allow my pups, till I got a job transfer out of state. The staff, Sakshi, Allison, Natasha, and the maintenance crew made my pups and me, feel so welcome and so comfortable. They attended to our needs with compassion, professionalism and welcomed us happily. We were there till mid August. The place was clean, warm and cozy. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to everyone looking to stay in the Eastern Nassau County part of Long Island or nearby. You will be MORE than satisfied. Thank you so much BWW! We'll never, ever forget you!!
The rooms, while cleanish, are small and date from the 1970's. Minimal soundproofing between rooms (the couple above us had a really good time, which took some explaining to our kids) and between the room and the outside external corridor, where the rough concrete path amplifies every rolled suitcase or service trolley. On the plus side, they have a nice outside pool, and provide towels there. Breakfast is in a very small area by reception, so you'll probably end up taking it back to the room - or eating out. Overall a good location, with friendly staff, but the hotel needs tearing down and rebuilding.
I stayed at this hotel for two nights during the busy summer season. It is centrally located on Long Island, and especially convenient to Sagamore Hill. It was reasonably priced for a comfortable, quiet room. The breakfast buffet is better than average. Every member of the staff was extraordinarily pleasant, including the front desk clerk, breakfast attendant, and cleaning crew.
Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms and nicely decorated. Quiet and good area. Nice pool area for the family. Good area with stores and restaurants nearby. Easy access to freeways. I recommend this hotel for family stays.
I had an event to got to and it was during lacrosse week on Long Island I had no other choice but to book here. I booked two rooms that were priced high because of the demand and had the rooms for 3 nights. Simply the rooms look like they haven't been done over since the 1970's. Not joking. I had family members come meet us there and I was so embarrassed by the room. The room was clean though. Just old and depressing and worst place I have stayed in years. The staff is great and nice and accommodating.
So much bathroom mold it was disgusting, we killed at least 3 BUGS as well. The front desk girl said she would notify housekeeping, I told her they would need to tear the wall down to the studs it was that bad. People should not be allowed in there. It should be condemned!!!
They hit all the marks for my trip. I was in town for a wedding. The staff were incredibly helpful and able to accommodate me with a room on very short notice due to a booking error on my part. The room was clean, quiet , and comfortable. A fantastic stay for me!
For the price paid, this hotel provides a very pleasant experience. The staff is cordial, the rooms were spacious, the beds were super-comfortable, and the location is ideal. Our room had a small kitchenette which was handy for keeping food cold, warming up left-overs, and having a quiet cup of coffee before heading out.
Was worth the price, not a glamorous place but clean and quaint. The location was convenient, entrance confusing I believe it was under construction . The continental breakfast Offered many choices considering the small space.
Room was clean, big enough for 3 people and very comfortable. the bathroom was perfect and the bed was soft. Staff was very friendly and we were fortunate to make friends at the hotel. Would suggest for people to stay here.
We needed one more night on Long Island after coming down for a funeral. Most hotels were booked because of weddings and we found a small window where this hotel had available rooms. With AAA, I still thought $139 for the double full-beds room was a little high considering the slightly aged look of the room, but everything ended up being great for our stay. Everything was super clean, bathrooms were fine, it smelled fine, it was easy to carry bags up to the second floor, the area certainly seemed safe, the customer service was terrific, they happily supplied us with toothpaste packets when we asked, the staff took the initiative to ask us about a wake up call (probably the first time I was asked that), and they were really really polite. We interacted with a staff member named Sahra - she was fantastic. The breakfast area itself was small but there was plenty to eat. The lobby had several tables to sit at for dining. No food was depleted even after going for breakfast about 30 minutes before it ended - and there were plenty of people eating so I assume they do well replenishing food. We took our breakfast to their beautiful pool area to the side of the hotel. Lastly, the hotel was so close to really everything. I haven't lived on the island for some time, and going back I realized how close everything on the island was. Getting to Roosevelt Field Mall, Eisenhower Park, or Jones Beach took only a short drive. We didn't check out the attractions surrounding the hotel - but I wouldn't recommend just staying exclusively to that area since everything is so close.
Clean relatively inexpensive location when traveling to Long Island. We stay in the area fairly frequently during the summer and try different places. Not much to look at from the road (looks like a catering hall undergoing renovation) but once you get to the courtyard it's kind of quaint. This is one we would return to.
Room was small and bed was a full as opposed to a queen or king, but it was clean and comfortable. Bed was soft and not one of the rock hard mattresses we seem to come across more and more these days. Free breakfast was better than most, staff was friendly and helped folks with waffle and pancake makers. Our biggest complaint was that the air conditioner was very noisy.
Very neglected property. Dirty breakfast area in lobby including ants. Rooms all had peeling wallpaper from long, long ago. The pictures online are very deceiving. Everything about this hotel is old and needs replacing.
They treated my family with respect, staff was excellent Allison from front desk gave a such a good deal that I stoped looking for hotels and she booked us for 12 night stay she went out of her way to make us happy ThankYou Allison.Breakfast attenant Diana Lugo always with a big smile in the breakfast area she and my wife became best of friends we would come down for breakfast they would hug each other and start talking to each other and laugh up a storm about what who cares as long as my wife was happy that's all that matters,Thank you Diana. And Thank You Best Western Woodbury New York
This is a good hotel if you will be visiting places in the vicinity. Don't be worried by the exterior that faces the main street. The rooms are behind that and one side faces trees. Room was clean, bed comfortable, towels soft, staff friendly, and price includes breakfast (the usual fare, not much in the way of fruit, but do have oatmeal).
Great location, the king bed rooms are a little tight, pool area is very nice, not enough tables in lobby to sit and eat breakfast. I would stay here again, the staff is very accommodating and very polite
Convenient for wedding close by Originally told shuttle bus will take us and return for us. While going to venue asked driver about return. He said it was a one way trip. How wd we get back? My husband took bus back and got the car. Room was clean and comfortable we paid a lower wedding price which was good but were disappointed with the shuttle which my son had prearranged roundtrip travel and we did not get it. However it all worked out
Love the pool and the gardens. Great front desk and a good breakfast. Nice walk to nearby shops and restaurants. Thanks for the recommendation of Huntington for seafood. Loved the Harbor Mist at sunset.
The kids enjoyed the area and so did I because of the many options for meals. There were pharmacies and banks nearby also. Clean room, comfy beds and safe area to park my car. Kids loved the outfit pool area to swim and relax on the grass. The Continental breakfast was plenty. I would definitely stay there again.
We had to be in Long Island for family business. The Woodbury Inn was an excellent choice. The room was immaculate and the staff was more than helpful and friendly. We were on the ground floor only steps from the beautifully maintained pool and grounds. They offer the extras like towels laid out on each lounge chair and a gas grill for guest use in the pool area. The area around the pool was immaculately maintained as was the pool. It felt like we were in someone's back yard and not off a busy highway. The rooms at Best Western are usually the same layout which is why we pick Best Western. The exterior is very welcoming. We had a group of three 20 something young men in the room next door to us and some more one room away on the other side which was an initial concern but the room walls are well insulated and we heard nothing. Breakfast is adequate and complete. The only thing I missed was having the usual bacon. They serve what they call a continental breakfast but it was a full breakfast-- and that is helpful when traveling. The staff is on top of everything and keep the breakfast area well stocked and very clean. The beds are very comfortable as are the pillows--something a bit hard to find. A lot of attention to detail and very quiet in a very busy area of Long Island.
Stayed here last week for a business trip and the rooms weren't amazing. They are definitely older and you're close to lots of trees, so there's some bugs. My colleagues and I ended up finishing our job early, so we did not need our last night at the hotel. The girl at the front desk was extremely prompt in getting us the night refunded and gave no pushback. Two of our employees forgot to check out and she took care of it with no extra charge. Good hotel for a night or two, wouldn't do an extended stay here. I am only rating this 4 stars for the great customer service!
The Best Western Woodbury Inn, was, I will be blunt, disgusting! We arrived about 10:30 in the Eve, was given a room with NO WINDOW! After complaining at the front desk, they gave us a bigger room on the 1st floor with a window, the room smelt very horrid. The breakfast was cold, the eggs were terrible. The entire stay was for 6 days, but cut it short after 1 day, and found a very pleasant Holiday Inn in Roslyn! Which was wonderful! I am sold on Holiday Inns! The worst part about this, was I made sure ahead of time, we would get a room with a window! No more Best Westerns! They can't even provide HD on their TV's
I loved this property! It's charming on the outside, but it's the staff's attentiveness that really makes it charming on the inside. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was fresh, tasty and free, and the hospitality abounds here. Everyone I met, from check-in to breakfast to check-out was genuinely caring. It's clear to me that the training in hospitality is a priority and these employees take it to the max.
I always try to stay at a best western when I travel hopefully if it is not to far from my destination, this time it was it was pretty close by, I always enjoy the hospitality and this time was great, I was having a issue with my pass card with my lock and a young lady at the desk .Amanda Lierena extended herself many times, she had a great personality and good representative for Best Western-Thank her for me.
I have never had a challenging stay at this facility. Always a warm, cozy and comfortable room. The staff really are concerned about the cleanliness of the hotel and they really are a best kept secret and the Cream of Woodbury.
This hotel is very ecomonmical for the area. On the next block, within walking distance, is a full service diner. Hotel is on Jericho Turnpike whick has all kinds of stores and restaurants. Hotel is clean, safe, and convienient-a good place to put down for the night.
Stayed there for a night to attend a wedding, expected a motel experience, especially as outside of the facility is being remodeled. Instead found extremely attentive staff, great room, pool, and good value overall. I'd certainly go out of my way to stay there again.
Hotel was very easy to find.... convenient location to visit friends and family... for the price it is well worth it. Nice folks at the front desk.... enjoyed the breakfast while sitting in the lobby area.... you will see me again
Room was very comfortable and clean.. however the rooms are older. Bathroom was tight for me. Mattress provides an excellent nights sleep. Location is very quiet and the On Parade Diner is walking distance. The BW provides 24 hour coffee and tea in their lobby. Breakfast was done very well. Pastries, waffles, bagels, cereal and hot scrambled eggs every day. Plus oranges, apples and bananas and a fridge full of yogurts and pudding. Nice assortment of fruit juices in the juice dispenser. The staff goes over the top. Always there for whatever you need. They could not have been more accommodating. Upon check in we were given a welcome bag which contained Long Island potato chips, Tates cookies and a bottle of water. I enjoyed every morsel. Real nice touch. Overall a great place to stay.
definitely charming bldg. nice area location shopping within walking distance if desired. major supermarket short drive away. major arterial roads close staff helpful, breakfast not buffet and abundance of food. pet friendly
Breakfast was good. The room was small and the beds were smaller. No bathtub and with small children that created a problem. The staff was nice but didn't offer to move our room when I complained to the front desk.
Friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean room and facilities, no complaints. Very comfortable bed. Swimming pool and workout room all available. Breakfast better that expected! Good location, and easy to find and access.
We've stayed here before when visiting family scattered on Long Island. A convenient location for everything. Also the management is always accommodating and eager to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is a nice perk too.
I have stayed at this hotel many times to visit family. The rooms are always very clean, quiet, the staff helpful and the breakfast is very good. I plan on returning and would highly recommend this hotel
Great location, clean room, good breakfast and reasonable rates. What more can you ask for. Good motel that we have used numerous times. You could spend twice the price at fancier motel but you wouldn't do any better.
I have stayed here various times in the past few years. I never encountered any issues to prevent me from returning. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I always had a good clean room. The location is great with restaurants and shopping nearby. This is my first choice for a hotel in Nassau County. I can't forget the great breakfast!
Very nice hotel, great location close to the highway, very nice restaurants nearby, shuttle service to local places. The hotel staff is very accommodating and the rooms are very clean. Free parking is available directly in front of the room.
Very good location to reach My accounts mid-island The staff was friendly Room was small but clean B-fast had nice fresh bagels Good parking nice neighborhood I've stayed here many times over the years and return year to year
I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western in Woodbury. The Best Western is located in a great area. There is enough to do around the area and many options for grabbing a bite. You will not regret your stay at this location.
I have been staying at the BW Woodbury for many years. When I schedule my trips to NY, it's an automatic decision to stay there. I am treated like a king, and always warmly greeted on arrival. The rooms are decorated in style, the service is great, and I love the breakfast in the morning that is included. As for the location, it is so convenient, next to everything, great shopping and restaurants. When I travel anywhere, I now choose BW. This should be your clear choice too.
Hotels in Long Island are pretty expensive and this hotel offers a very competitive price for the location. The rooms are good, but some require a few updates. Wifi works at times, but when it does it is super fast. Breakfast is good and gym is more than good. Highly recommend choosing this hotel for your next visit to the big apple.
Room was clean, had very dim lights in room, refrigerator in room was set at freezing (unable to control), bed was comfortable, breakfast was included - the breakfast was okay, staff was very helpful and friendly.
love it very close to everything ! room was very clean, front office staff was very nice and helpful . the price was on point will be going here again soon went for a wedding a great time ,not enough time will be going on vacation soon you guess it i will be trying to get a room here .
We only stayed one night but would gladly stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good with lots of selection. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Quiet location and we were within walking distance to places to eat.
The best western in Woodbury NY is very convenient.. there are a tone of things to do in the area shopping restaurants etc.. perfect for a weekend or just an overnight stay. Perfect if your in town for a wedding. Golf outing,
The rooms have terrible toxic chemical-parfume smell. Although I asked to have my room aired out before arrival, it was parfume smell all over. The windows can only be opened 10 inches. The blanket was too thin, the pillows too thick. I woke up freezing at 3 am and put on most of my clothes. The heater was too loud, so I couldn't leave it running at night. I woke up with a headache and totally overtired. Sadly I will never return. It's the 21 century, people live of oxygen not parfume. This is common sense, not rocket science. I talked to the personal in the past to please have the rooms aired out. Sadly with no resolve. The policy in this hotel seems to rigidly ask for more daily chemical parfume-sprays.
Stay was comfortable, and the quality cost ratio was excellent. The staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. Both check in and check out was quick and without incident. The hotel's proximity to major highways was extremely convenient.
Great staff and comfortable room at a fair price. I had a business trip to Melville, NY and was not excited about the hotels a little closer. The prices were higher and the reviews were not overly positive. I found the BW Woodbury and liked the reviews. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this motel.
Nice rooms and very nice area. I always stay at best western and each time I'm very satisfied. The staff was helpful and made you feel welcomed. I will definitely stay at this hotel and this location again.
No elevator or assistance available to carry luggage to and from second level. No direct connection between lobby and rooms thus room entrances have no security. Rooms are small but adequate and very clean. Beds are very comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good and fresh. No lunch or dinner available but restaurants are plentiful in the area.
The employees were very pleasant, check in and out was fine. I liked the kitchen in the room, the bed was comfortable. I did have bad experience with breakfast. There was a ton of hair cooked into the eggs. The manager didn't ignore it and took the tray away. It happens. The heater in the room was very noisy but comfortable. I fix air conditioners ( expert Opinion). Breakfast at BW is usually pretty good. I stay at the Bar Harbor inn mostly.Just had an off night at woodbury. Only one big complaint they never ans their phone.
Overall great experience with a pleasant and professional staff in a quaint setting. Nice breakfast and afternoon cookies and soups added a nice touch. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
I selected this hotel for a deal I received through Expedia. It's a hotel/motel type of place where the doors to the rooms are outside. The employees are all very nice. The lobby is small but quaint. The room is perfect for myself. I knew I'd use it just to sleep while I'm out and about most of the days during my trip so the room was adequate. The continental breakfast was great. You can get juice, water and coffee 24 hours. Weird downside: the bathroom air blower turns on with the lights so it's on whenever you use the bathroom. The fan in my bathroom was pretty loud. I forgot to turn it off one late night and someone called to get me to turn it off since it makes a whistling. Hopefully, this is not the case for all the rooms. Wifi: great most times except when there are more people within the vicinity of your room who are also probably relying on the wifi. Parking: ample
We were looking for a reasonably priced and clean place to stay while attending a wedding nearby. This hotel fit that description, had friendly staff, and even added breakfast. We would recommend it to others.
We choice this location because we were visiting Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay. Very pleased with our stay. Comfortable room with good lighting for reading, full breakfast with delicious pastries. Shops and restaurants in walking distance, a big plus after driving all day. Friendly staff.
Stay was great. Staff was friendly especially the breakfast staff. Only problem was the TV remote did not work in one of room we were in but that was an easy fix. Rooms were clean and housekeeping came regularly to clean. Breakfast was great and had some snacks afterwards. Location was close to event we came for. Fitness room was clean and quiet (was usually the only one in it). Vending machines only take cash not credit cards.
very nice inn . Helpful staff , nice rooms, reasonable rate, close to great amenities , quiet, clean, they have nice soup at dinner and breakfast in the morning. improvements are in progress to the inn which will add to its value.
The front desk staff was very nice, but the room was exceptionally small and the bathroom was no bigger than a closet. There was a gap under the exterior door that let a lot of cold air into the room, which kept the hot air heater going, which, in turn made the room incredibly dry. We were there 2 nights, but there was no maid service the 2nd day--they came and took the trash and left. It is not a place I will book into again if I can help it.
enjoy clean fine rooms with hot soup and professional care here in Woodberry , the staff will treat you just fine.. 10 out of 10 for value and comfort ! great breakfast and fine hot soup with home made cookies at night. What a fine way they say thank you ! with personal attention and first rate people at the front desk. Great gm. to !! right there to help you and he does. Thanks mark !!
very nice hotel, with a solid breakfast included, at a great price. hard to duplicate this deal! We came to my future daughter-in-law's shower. Many of our wedding guests plan to stay here for the upcoming wedding.
I have not stayed here I a year or two. This time, it was better than ever. Better staff, better breakfast, and free soup in the afternoon! What else could I ask for? Oh, yes, a clean, well-decorated room, where everything works. Got it all here! A perfect place to stay for a road-weary business traveler,
I enjoyed the location of the hotel. My room was very clean. I had a fun time at the breakfast area. The ladies at the front desk and the whole staff were very pleasant. This was an excellent experience. Thanks!
We had to ask for a change of room as first room had an off odor. The second room was great, large and with everything you need. Cable channels selection was limited. The. breakfast was excellent and the evening soup was a nice touch. Good parking and great front desk staff.
The staff were great from check in to maintenance, to the staff at the breakfast bar. Check in was easy. The lobby wand common areas were clean. I was disappointed with the room. As so as I opened the door the room smelled of cigarette smoke and was stale. The room was outdated and worn. The bathroom was worn with cracks in the caulking and stains on the ceiling. I will say the room was very clean, particularly the bathroom. It's too bad the facilities are tired because I'll say it again, the staff was great.
This was a clean and modern room for the price. The front desk staff are great! Very friendly staff and helpful. Nice pool and diner next door is great! The breakfast was decent very good coffee! There is nice shopping across the street and a gourmet grocery store about 5 min away.
Clean, quiet and convenient place to stay. I was traveling alone through Long Island on business, but have stopped here with family. Either way it serves both purposes. In the summer pool is open. Great sumptuous continental breakfast with high end restaurants or casual eateries within walking distance. Accommodations very good for the price.
The staff at this Best Western was by far the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. The rooms were is excellent condition the attitude toward my pet was excellent. The next time I need to go back to Long Island I Will definitely stay here.
Stayed for 1 night going to Crest Hollow CC Free shuttle. Very surprised on how nice it was for the price. Great for staying in the area when going to an event nearby. , Clean room comfortable Bed, Close to everything and free breakfast buffet.
clean, not expensive considering it's in the NYC metro area with a great breakfast. Shuttle service, near restuarants & in the summer beautiful pool. Friendly & helpful staff. Easy to book. Parking always available & close to public transportation.
The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants and concert venues. The rooms are extremely clean and the bathroom towels are nice and fluffy. This was the first time I took advantage of the breakfast - nice choices. Eggs were hot and tasty, bagels fresh. .
The room felt damp - spots of mold in bathroom - room on the dark side (not much natural light). If I come back to this area, I would probably stay closer to MacArthur airport where hotels are more modern and just pay more. I would give it a 2.5 (on scale of 1-5) if I could.
I stayed over this past weekend it was ok however very disappointed by the look of the place. it showed in the computer a real nice, clean, elegant place. Not at all it was a lobby really small, with one chair with a computer, two sofas and maybe 5 small tables for breakfast but in the computers really show something very beautiful with the wrong pictures it was like those hotels you go and spend the night while traveling nothing descent. The employees were friendly however did a mistake in our reservation and they fix it while we were there. the place was clean a lot humidity in the room but extra from other hotels. very small place showed bigger room in the pictures since they let stay dogs in there, the one next door didn't let us sleep but nothing wrong with the dog it was us by choosing that hotel, just for what it look like it.
Chose Best Western Inn/Woodbury from many options as a reasonably priced, yet comfortable hotel with an excellent breakfast. It was a good choice for a school reunion 6 miles away ,close to major highways in mid-Long Island, Nassau County,
The Best Western Motel in Woodbury is an older-style motel. The room was clean and tidy but there was a smell to it. Maybe it was musty or had been a smoker room in the past but the odor was definitely there. The motel is centrally located to some fine restaurants to that is a plus. The staff was attentive and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our visit. With a little extra effort to update a few things in the room, the motel would rate a higher rating. Breakfasts are adequate.
My wife and I visited our niece who attends Fordham in the Bronx. Hotels in the area are less than desirable. We lucked into the Best Western Inn in Woodbury about 40 minutes outside of the city. It was convenient as we were flying out of JFK the next morning. The hotel is a bit dated, but clean and the staff helpful. The price is a great value.
When we arrived, there was a slight mix-up with our reservation, and the friendly and professional staff resolved it very quickly. The room was comfortable and clean, and very nice for the price. Breakfast was great, with lots of variety. The night before checkout, I took my rings off when I went to sleep, and in the morning, could not find my engagement ring anywhere. Even though rationally I knew it had to be in the room, we had literally torn the room apart for 2 hours looking, and I thought it was gone for good. I went to the desk panicked, and the Director of Guest Experience, Natassia, was extremely sympathetic, reassuring, and calming. She gave me tissues, bottled water, and explained that it had to be in the room and that their housekeeping staff were all honest, long-term employees who were familiar with the protocol for lost and found items. She called in the housekeeping manager to search the room, and she found the ring within 5 minutes! It had somehow fallen under the mattress, which we had taken off and stood on end TWICE to no avail. The staff were such lifesavers and so compassionate in the process!!
A very Old Motel. Dark rooms, Poor security, Falling apart. My wife cut her finger on the cabinet doors in the room and the management really didn't care. We got locked in the bathroom not once but three times. Many broken items in the room. I would look for another hotel. The Days Inn next to this one looks much better. Don't walk RUN away from any deal. It's not worth it. I also got charged an early check in of $30.00
I went to take a shower n while i was in wetting my hair the tub started filling up with water because there was hair stuck in the drain from previous person it grossed me out n i told them about it and they gave me 20% off really
If you're in the area and you need a cost effective place to stay. Look no further. Great service and perfect for that quick in and out stay. They provided everything I needed. The front desk were very kind and helpful upon check in. If I have any business or leisure activities in the Long Island area I would consider going to this Best Western again.
Our stay was exceptional. Check in and check out was flawless. The complementary breakfast was great. It was beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend Best Western Hotels to anyone. The price was right, and beyond comparison.
Overall a good hotel for the very reasonable price. Helpful and friendly staff. The area surrounding the hotel was quiet and there were several eateries within walking distance. All hotel employees were friendly and readily offered assistance. No complaints.
evening went according to plan had a comfy bed good coffee in the morning and a fresh breakfast pool was good place was clean people were friendly parking was easy plenty of spots day was beautiful area was nice
Came to Woodbury for a wedding and got a room at the West Western. Check-In was easy and hotel staff were friendly. Room was clean, had good lighting, and well maintained; however the seats at the table and desk were a little soiled. The breakfast was good and well maintained. Loved the waffles and eggs. Great hotel for a short trip at a good price.
I found hotels in Long Island to be awfully expensive and found this best western in a convenient location at a reasonable rate. We found the hotel to be old and smelly. When we arrived we were given keys to a room with people in it!!!! I would not stay here again. Better paying more for a decent place.
Room was clean and very comfortable with many amenities and staff were excellent around the clock. Parking was easy, check-in was quick, food very good and a shuttle was provided to our family wedding.
This best western is an honest inn, with free breakfast, great location and some of the friendliest staff around. The location is convenient to Nassau & Suffolk and has many great restaurants nearby. There is a pool on site for anyone who needs to cool off and coffee is always on.
Had a little difficulty finding this place late at night the sat nav took us to a completely different place oh well got there in the end. The girl on reception was so friendly speedy check in then had a general chat which was nice after the amount of rude people we encountered at the airport/car hire. Room and bathroom both good sizes ! Good wifi speed, the breakfast was great as far as complimentary breakfasts go. Overall good over night stay.
great staff and breakfast ( options way above the norm) good location (easy in and out) mall across the street. large and quiet room with kitchenette awesome diner next door with large selection of homemade food ( the specials are great!)
when we first check in we were moved because there were bugs all over our bed, just a terrible experience I was then charged for multiple rooms, at all different rates. problem was fixed, but then occurred again overnight after we check out. WE WEREN'T EVEN THERE AND WE WERE CHARGED!!! not very pleased at all.
Had a reservation for 2 double beds and guaranteed for late arrival. Arrived at at 10:00 and was told they always overbook so all that was available was 1 double with a twin sofa bed. They did provide extra linen so one member of group slept on the floor.
The staff was VERY friendly, room was nice, breakfast was good. I will DEFINITELY stay here again. I enjoyed using the pool. I could see the TV from the bed and from the couch. This is the second time I stayed here. It's easy to get to and near restaurants and a deli.
its a great hotel very close to Chabad house, few min. walk , nice location, 7mins. by drive to young Israel of plainview... staff are very sensitive and understandable to orthodox Jewish families needs, shabbos etc. very generous room service, kind people. some of the products in breakfast are OU D. The pool was quiet and very clean, great for the kids. We loved it! dentally consider to come again.
I loved staying here. The room was nice with a huge bed, TV, airconditioning which is a must in the summer and a very friendly staff! Not so much to choose in the resturaunt but who needs a hotel resturaunt when you have everything you need right outside.... The price was definately good compared to most New York hotels so if you have business or any other reason to stay in this location then this Best Western is probably the best choice!
The outlets in the room barley any of them worked, the ac drained into the room, they had very bad ANTS in the room, the Ac didn't cool off the room, the blow dryer you plugged it in and the lights flickered. The light next to the door would flicker everytime you turned it on along with the two in the bathroom. The bathroom door would lock but wouldn't latch to keep close. The maids didn't change the sheets just remade the bed.
We've stayed here many times when taking our son to college nearby and were only disappointed when we didn't make reservations in time and they were full! Highly recommend! Compared to the prices of other nearby hotels this Best Western is a bargain. Always has been clean with a friendly staff.
Very accommodating, clean and always consistent. The staff is amazing and keeps us coming back every year! Can't wait for our next stay! We recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family. We know we will receive the best each time we arrive. Breakfast is an extra treat and coffee all day long makes it something special!
I will highly recommend this Hotel. Very friendly employee, specially Daniel at Front Desk HE IS AWESOME! Good location, Clean rooms, GREAT VALUE TOO! They serve breakfast until 10:30nam so you'll be able to sleep and not miss breakfast.
Pleasant stay! Clean room, 24 hour service and great location. Provided local transportation to train station and events. Breakfast was better than average with waffles and eggs too. Penalty choices of drinks. If you ever need a hotel in Woodbury, consider Best Western Inn on the Jericho Turnpike.
First of all, I dislike writing negative reviews, and I realize that nothing is perfect even in the finest hotels. However, after a week of traveling down the coast and staying in three other accommodations along the way, including the beautiful Best Western Cold Spring in Plymouth, we were truly shocked at the dirty, run down room we experienced at this motel. After reading positive reviews about this Best Western, it was hard to understand how our room could be so trashy. The room was in terrible condition. The rug had dark brown stains from the front door into the sink area. The lamp shade on one lamp was torn and hanging down, and the eating table had burn marks and scratches and was sticky from food. The top and bottom sheet on one bed were so wrinkled as though someone had been sleeping on them. I lifted the bottom sheet to find long strands of hair and dust balls stuck to the sheet and the mattress cover. The bathroom looked updated, and it was clean, however, when my sister went to take a shower, the shower door was off the hinges on one end, and when we lifted it to get it back on track, the entire door slipped to the floor. We showered with the one door open and towels on the floor. Yes, I could of asked for another room, but we had just driven for hours from Newport, it was already late in the evening and we had moved all of our belongings into the room. We were tired and just wanted to get to bed. Thank goodness the young woman at the desk the next morning was very nice and truly shocked by the condition of the room and was very glad to give a discount on our bill. Hopefully, this room was the exception to all the others and the room has been refurbished, and others who stayed here have a better experience.
decent healthy breakfast choices, nice staff, beautiful landscaping are the high points of this value hotel. the rooms were a bit small but in this part of Long Island and this price point that was appropriate. good choices of places to eat very close. reasonably quiet and isolated from NY 25 traffic.
I would recommend this stay to anyone who is looking for a wonderful hotel stay for the right price. I was surprised at the accommodations provided with management at the hotel with such short notice. They made my stay worth while. I am looking forward to spend my next stay at Best Western at Woodbury.
My wife and i have stayed here several times over the past several years. It's dependable and the staff are helpful and polite. Convenient access to main roads. It's located in a safe area. The rooms are clean if unspectacular, but it's a Best Western; you pretty much know what you're getting with a Best Western. Nothing special, but as long as it's clean and safe and has all the basics like this one, it's fine.
We stayed in a King bed room, which was perfect size for a couple and it was a wonderful value. The bed was super comfortable and the room clean and neat. The complimentary breakfast was also great, with many options. This location is wonderful compared to other hotels, and even other best westerns I have stayed at. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.
The rooms were clean and neat. What you would expect at a Best Western. Free Breakfast was very good with large assortment.of hot and cold food. The Host at the reception area was very accommodating since I always like to stay on the second floor.
I have stayed at the Best Western Woodbury Inn numerous times over the past 3 years. I find the front desk staff to always be polite, accommodating and friendly. The location is so convenient to central Long Island. Just minutes away from the Northern State and Southern State parkways, and the Long Island Expressway. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet has an assortment of continental menu items and is always well stocked. This hotel is a good value for the area.
I stay here everytime I'm in the area for business. About once a month. I always have a positive experience. Nothing bad to say. It's a clean place with friendly staff and the breakfast is pretty good as well.
A very nice hotel with an excellent staff. The breakfast is exceptional for the price...Have stayed here on 2 other occasions and have not been disappointed. Plan to stay here again this month for a total of 15 days....
The hotel is conveniently located on Long Island and off the road a bit, so quieter. The price is reasonable for the area and the customer service is excellent. The continental breakfast buffet is a nice bonus.
This hotel in Woodbury is well located for sales calls in the mid-island area, without getting any closer to the city. There are a number of restaurants nearby. You get a good bang for your buck vs. hotels further east. Rooms are always nice and clean. This is my preferred choice for this area.
Real nice folks, place needs repairs. Room smelled bad. Sometimes the tv worked. Good for college kids just hanging but a bit more needed to be a 3 star hotel. I really think the staff are amazing and accommodating but tough job for them when people aren't happy.
I have stayed st this hotel many times to visit family. My room has always been clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff has been accommodating, I brought a dog without notice and they found me a room. The breakfast has always been good.
The staff at Best Western Woodbury Inn really take good care of my needs and made sure my intermittent special requests are given proper attention. It was a long stay and remained comfortable all throughout. Will definitely stay their next time I need to visit Woodbury or Huntington area.
My husband and I are originally from Hicksville and we are now living year round in Florida but when travel up to Long Island we always stay at this Best Western. The rooms are always neat and updated. and the full breakfast is delicious. The location is perfect whether you are staying in the immediate area or traveling to the City or out to Suffolk County. Being Rewards Member brings a lot of bonuses as well - goodie bags and points for future stays. Other members of our family have also stayed here. There is a diner within walking distance as well. What more could you want?
Showed up after 10 PM for a "late arrival time" reservation. We had requester a quiet room, because the front section facing the street can be noisy due to traffic. After quick and courteous check-in, we arrived at our "quiet room" which turned out to be a strange little interior room with no windows...the AC was cranked, and a bit noisy, but I need access to fresh air or I cannot sleep. Upon returning to the front desk, the clerk heard my plea for a room change and quickly accommodated by finding a room in the rear of the property with opening windows and the quiet we had requested. Rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable. All staff from front desk to cleaning service are friendly and helpful and ready to serve. I have stayed here several times on business and personal trips, and recommend it to friends and work colleagues. It's nothing fancy but it 's comfortable and accommodating, the price is right, and the location is convenient for access to most locations in the region. Check in and check it out!
We arrived a little late, and I was pleased to receive the room I had requested. Rewards members also receive a goody bag. While this is an older motel the rooms are very spacious and clean. Kitchenette was nice and I was happy to have a real coffeepot. The mattress and pillows were the most comfortable we had on a 3 week trip. The diner down the street had a huge selection, excellent food, and quick service. This is good because there are no other restaurants close by. There is also a grocery store just down the street. Now for the cons. The bathroom is very hot. The exhaust fan is loud and is not at all adequate. There is also no vanity to put your stuff on which was really inconvenient.. They really need to put a table against the wall to put your things on. Toilet was extremely short! The breakfast room was VERY small. They only had a couple of tables so you had to take your food back to your room. The selection wasn't the biggest either. It was disappointing that the motel didn't have a guest laundry. Overall, motel was very quiet.
Pool was beautifully landscaped and the lounge chairs were comfortable. The pool had stairs with railing to enter which made it very accessible for older guests. Breakfast was awesome with great bagels and donuts! Staff very helpful! Plus, there was a hotel van that could take guests within 5 miles of hotel. We used van to go to the train station and get picked up!
This is the second visit we've made here and with good reason. It is a clean and comfortable hotel/motel with a wonderful full breakfast. Of course, you make your own etc., but they seem to have all of what you need. We've stayed in two very different rooms, but both of them were nice clean and a great night's rest. It has several restaurants nearby and is easy to get to. The staff both years were wonderful and friendly! We'll come back again!
All we wanted was a place to relax, enjoy a good night's sleep, and lounge by the pool. We got all that, plus a good hot breakfast, drinks throughout the day, cookies in the afternoon, and a very convenient location! The most important thing to me is a comfortable bed; the most important thing to my friend is the outdoor pool. Neither of us was disappointed! The rooms are a little bit on the small side, and since they are all outdoor access, it's a motel to me. But neither of those things mattered to us on this trip. We only showered, changed, and slept in the room. And the outdoor access didn't matter, because the location seems perfectly safe. The room was perfectly clean and offers a fridge, coffeemaker, (small) flat-screen tv, and a shower in the bathroom (we prefer it, but if you want a bath, this isn't the room for you). The pool area was great, complete with lounges and tables with umbrellas and chairs, as well as lovely plants. The pool itself is only 4 1/2 feet deep, which to us was perfect ... you can swim or you can just stand there and be wet, enjoying the sun! The only drawback to the pool was that the first day, it had rained the night before and the filter couldn't keep up with the leaves and debris the storm had blown in. The second day, when we went out in the morning, it was perfectly pristine! The only thing that we would change is that we would ask management to make the pool area non-smoking. Having to smell and breathe that all day really put a damper on an otherwise great situation. The included breakfast in the morning is much better than most places. You have a choice of 3 cereals, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs with or without cheese and bacon, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, muffins, juices, coffee and a selection of teas. It's filling! (Just keep in mind when planning to go, that it was CROWDED at 9:00 on a Wednesday morning ... we had to sit outside.) The juices, coffee, and tea are available all day, and cookies are put out around 3:00 ish. If that doesn't do it for you, there are also a diner and a Starbuck's within easy walking distance of the motel. Don't expect anything luxurious, but it met our expectations and went beyond. We'll be back!
Hotel is old but if you need a quick stay for decent breakfast this is your place. Other than that the rooms are equivalent to a Motel vice hotel. I will not be coming back to this place. Wifi is free staff is nice. Rooms are just crappy.
The service and accommodating practices of this Woodbury BW location is simply great and they stand alone of the pack. Very clean and comfortable rooms with a friendly staff makes for a good stay. you wake up to a hot breakfast and well thought of complimentary selections. Just a hidden jewel.
July, 24 Great over night stay, clean rooms, loved the stall shower, except the loud vent noise. That drove us nuts. Very accommodating staff. I will stay again very soon. A perk is the free breakfast as well. Very nice display and assortment of food. Front desk was also so very helpful. Especially Amanda who took my reservation and went above and beyond to help me with some questions about the pool area. Easy parking. Hotel close to everything. Diner across the street you can walk to. Upon checkout Rachel was very nice and everything went very smooth and she answered some other inquiries I had. Overall, it was a good ending to a bad start on Saturday.
To be honest, when we first pulled into the parking lot, this Best Western had a creepy motel feel to it. But after checking in, I saw that the rooms were pretty decent (even though I had a minor freak out when I first opened the door and thought that the curtain was actually a person). My boyfriend and I literally just slept here for the night, got breakfast the next morning, and then left. We were attending a wedding at the Fox Hollow but to stay there, it would have been an extra $80. I saw that the Best Western was only a 5 minute walk away so figured - why not? Check in is at 3. I called ahead and they said if you want to check in before 1, it would be an extra $15. The wedding was at 4 but we wanted to get to the hotel earlier to get ready and relax a bit. Unfortunately, what would have been a one hour ride turned into a two hour ride so we were only left with half an hour to get ready. However, we were able to take advantage of their 24-hour tea/water/juice/coffee service in the lobby, and our room just so happened to be situated right next door. They also have a pretty amazing continental breakfast layout. I didn't get to see it with my own eyes because I was acting like a lazy bum and my boyfriend went and got us food - but they have bagels, pastries, eggs with ham and cheese, yogurt, jello, danishes, waffles, and pancakes. I would have checked out their outdoor pool too but I couldn't get up. If I ever attend another wedding at Fox Hollow again and the Best Western is significantly cheaper, I would definitely spend another night here.
We were on a shop stop on our way to NYC and needed a place to say the night. It was very close to the Outlet mall. The place was somewhat clean. It didn't have a smell but the sheets were a little stained (I really didn't want to know). It was a place to rest your head. We were in at 10pm and out by 8 am. The breakfast isn't worth writing about so I skipped it and had breakfast at the mall food court. You obviously get what you pay for!
Enjoyed staying at the Woodbury Best Western. If you are going to an event at Crest Hollow, the Woodbury Best Western is less than half mile away and a convenient and good place to stay. Clean and has reasonable continental breakfast. Nice pool and friendly staff.
Nice little hotel, no restaurant, no laundry on site, but there is a diner right next-door. The staff is very friendly the rooms are clean and every Wednesday the manager who is also a chef has a Barbecue to thank you for staying there right next to the pool!
I didn't have a choice, needed a pet friendly hotel for the week on Long Island, this exceeded my budget but did the job. Great bagels and front office staff! Nice grounds, near a busy highway but not bad, and everything is expensive on Long Island, sooo....I will be back when I need to stay in that area again, with my dog...
In the area on vacation. Amazingly quiet room with comfy bed and better linens. The staff take great pains keeping the premises up. The breakfast buffet is kept well stocked and clean. Within walking distance of several restaurants and shopping. Good central location on Long Island, easy ride out to wine country or Jones Beach.
Great stay, clean rooms, and very accommodating staff. I will stay again very soon for my next business trip. A perk is the free breakfast as well. Very nice display and assortment of food. Front desk was also very helpful. Easy parking. Hotel close to everything.
When looking for accommodation in Long Island in a place that was convenient for us to catch up with friends and relatives in different places ( and as we were not planning to hire a car) we opted for this hotel because it offered a complimentary bus from hotel to station and/or malls and it also offered breakfast. We arrived latish so didn't ask for use of the bus- it was available until about 8p.m. but we didn't know that at the time. Residents were also advised that the bus was already booked by a couple of wedding parties for certain periods over the next couple of days. When I asked about the accessible room that I had requested in my booking the clerk went to make sure that our room had a walk in shower. The room was a fair size with two double beds and a small fridge. There was a table and chairs and a desk - and still the room did not appear to be crowded. It was clean and the staff were cooperative enough to clean when it was convenient to us- and they kept it clean. The surroundings were attractive with a Mall with many eating places nearby (the booklet left in our room also pointed out those that would deliver) but the landscaping hid the local businesses and we could have been in the middle of the country! There were pleasant gardens and an open air swimming pool (sadly not open until Memorial Day ). I had been concerned at the noise from the near by Turnpike- but I certainly didn't hear any traffic. The wedding parties made a little noise when they returned from the celebrations but that can be excused. The complimentary breakfast was really good with a selection of cereals, fruit, bagels, bread, philly, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, yoghurt, donuts, danish pastries etc etc - my husband's delight was the waffle and pancake maker! I was really impressed by the quality and quantity of the breakfasts. The staff were wonderful, really helpful and willing to go the extra mile. We found the mini bus great for taking us to the Mall and to the station. When the bus was unable to pick us up one day because the driver had a family emergency the clerk took the price of the taxi we needed to take off our bill. Now that is customer service! This hotel certainly wasn't one of the dearest hotels we looked in fact it would have been amongst the cheapest but we could not have made a better choice. I look forward to returning.
Rooms were spacious with 2 double bed; mini fridge & internet service was convenient for our need; free breakfast was good for the kids. Location to our venue was excellent. Service was friendly. Good Value for the money
I really enjoyed my stay at BW. I did not like the room given me to me when I arrived for a 5 day stay. Rachael and Natasha made sure I was happy and comfortable. They changed the room for us. They would regularly check on us to make sure we are comfortable. They helped me with any questions/concerns I had. They fixed any issues that came up. My stay was great ! Excellent Service !
Basically, a nice hotel. The staff was nice and helpful. The facilty is clean and close to many restaurants. It was an enjoyable experience and I would use it again. There should be cash machines on premises for vending machines and an ATM for people who need cash to leave a tip. This was a sore spot for my father who used his credit card to pay for the room but couldn't include a tip for our room attendant.
I stay at this hotel frequently on my trips to Long Island, the location is fantastic and the hotel is a great value with a good break fast and friendly staff. They have a pool and decent fitness center. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and plenty a short drive away. Highly recommended.
We have stayed at this Best Western Hotel several times . This recent visit was extremely disappointing in that the PREMIUM PRICED EXECUTIVE KING ROOM was OLD LOOKING and had a MUSTY ODOR . The OLD toilet was at a low height .
I stay here for business and for holidays.Location is safe and nice to take bike rides in the neighborhood.Location is also good when traveling out further on Long Island and other beach areas. Locally there is fine dinning and shopping.Another good thing is you can bring your pet for a fee.
A great hotel for the price. Conveniently located to the highways. The hotel is located in a nice area. Will definitely recommend this hotel to business associates, family and friends. Provides all the necessary amenities.
The Best Western Motel in Woodbury, NY, provided a most comfortable, friendly, and affordable stay. All staff are courteous and helpful, including reception, housekeeping, and breakfast area. My room appeared to have been recently redecorated; it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast provided was another nice feature--more than just a small continental style cuisine. The beautifully landscaped outdoor pool and small but adequate fitness center are also appealing. It was a great stay. Thanks!
Very convenient location, easily accessible to the highway, very clean bathrooms and bedrooms, customer service is excellent as well very warm and friendly, sign up for the rewards card and enjoy regular discounts on future reservations
My significant other and I spent our day at the Best Western and we enjoyed our stay. There are many shops nearby and restaurants you can eat from. The area is really nice and perfect for a mini getaway.
Our second floor room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. However, on our one night there, we did not see a clock radio on either nightstand like we usually do at motels. Well, we found it in the middle of the night after it buzzed three times; it was under the bed! I'm peeved that this was missed in the cleaning. Also, in the morning the bathroom light was out. Towels were thin t hough toiletries were nice. Breakfast was a tad above average at these types of motels. The OJ and coffee were drinkable and there was a nice selection of breads and such.
there are great rooms. the whole place is clean and well taken care of, the breakfast is good and all you can eat both hot and cold dishes. accommodating and cheery hosts/hostesses. it is near all parkways.
I found all of the staff members to be exceptionally courteous and helpful. The room was of good size and well maintained. The cleaning services were good. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast had good variety and everything was fresh. The exterior of the hotel has a very country feel, though it is conveniently located for accessing area businesses.
Nice people, nice room, everything was in good repair and clean. Good value for the money. WiFi worked and breakfast was good. The place was quiet and we found a good diner just down the street. It also has a well kept swimming pool.
The front desk clerk was so helpful and friendly - I really felt like we were being taken care of. It is a reasonable distance from the city if you are trying to find a place that is semi-close and a good price. The room was clean and comfortable and I felt safe. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I would stay again 100%.
I love staying at this hotel. Aside from the points I get- the location is amazing. This is right off the parkway and there are great shops and restaurants in the area. The staff is very helpful too, I was sick and they brought me food and ice chips!
I had to be in LI for a funeral and Best Western was very helpful. I booked online and when I checked in, they asked me if I wanted upstairs or downstairs. And my choice of room. They were friendly and very helpful. It was a great hotel.
bed to small but everything else was great not going to type 200 hy people dont do suveys charcter this is all i can say do u want me to write a book thats dam just keep typing if i ask a month ago for a kink why do i get a minutrure bed
Adequate and clean and breakfast is included. Price was mid level competitive. Service was great. Parking right outside room so very convenient. Location was convenient as well. Cant think of anything else to say to meet 200 character requirement for this section
We have stayed here before and were delighted to stay here for our daughters wedding! The rooms are clean and well kept. The Staff is very nice and accommodating- Housekeeping is on top of things- Most of our family and friends stayed here as the wedding was over 2 am! The breakfast is high above what we have come to have in other Best Western Hotels. It is very quiet , very clean ,and comfortable. Near to Starbucks and shopping within walking distance and close to highways- Thanks Amanda at the front desk for your help! We will be back!
Staff was pleasant when we arrived i thought the place was a little dated and the rooms were kind of small, but we enjoyed our stay. breakfast was a typical free offer small eating area, the coffee was good.
We needed a quiet place to rest while visiting relatives and good friends on LI. The Best Western was centrally located. What surprised us was how quiet it was behind a closed restaurant on busy Jericho Turnpike. The architecture and landscaping reminded us an Adirondack retreat. The staff was very friendly, the free breakfast each morning was varied and well prepared and the three soups served from 5 PM - 7 PM each day were a lovely treat after a heavy lunch with friends and before going out for another evening visit. We will return.
I've had some of my most memorable trips to NY. when I stayed at Best Western Woodbury. The staff there are always inviting with great temperaments and professionalism. the rooms are ALWAYS' very clean and comfortable, and if there is ever an issue, Management is swift to resolve it. Eateries and Shopping are conveniently located near the facility. Great central location for Movie and entertainment venues as well. A comfort in waiting for you!
Great property, great staff, great value, great location. I am a very proud BW resident. I recommend this property highly. Great value, feel very comfortable and confident when staying here. Wouldn't stay anywhere else
When you go to the desk at 10:30 at night to report a toilet that is backing up, you expect more than being handed a plunger. Ask me for my name, room number, and cell number. Tell me that a maintenance person will be there first thing in the morning at a specific time. Do not depend upon the customer to notify the desk a second time, which I did not. Show that you care and take the step necessary to correct the situation. Leave a note for the morning clerk. In effect do something don't assume that because I did not report back to the desk that all was well. Consequently every time we flushed the toilet we had to plunge the toilet for the water to go down. Also there is not enough seating in the breakfast room. The WiFi is inadequate as I received a notice that they did not have sufficient bandwidth. There was no guide in the room for the TV. No PBS channel in the TV that I could find. I won't stay here again.
Pleased with everything. Was just we needed for our weekend stay. Pleasant staff & comfortable room. Not large seating area for breakfast but breakfast was good. Even the eggs were fresh. Great location for us. Easy to reach & very quiet. Recommend it highly.
This was my second time staying here for a business trip. Rooms are very nice with refrigerator. Breakfast had a choice of 2 different types of scrambled eggs, fresh NY bagels, waffles, juice etc. The staff is very nice. Hotel is quiet.
I recommend the Best Western Inn of Woodbury to everyone who is looking for a nice hotel on Long Island in Nassau County. There staff is very professional and hospitable when needed. There have been times in the past where we have had some situations where we needed assistance and right away I spoke with Daniel and a young lady named Rachel who both were very helpful. The hotel is clean and there breakfast a great with a different variety of items. there are also plenty of restaurants in the area and close to all parkways. The hotel is great for business as well as Leisure time. Try it you will like it.
I always stay at best western Woodbury. It a nice clean place to stay and the staff at the front desk is very helpful. The rates at very reasonable compare to other similar places. They offer free breakfast and it has variety of food . You can make your own fresh waffle as well. It's located at a very prime location with some great restaurants right around the corner. Moca Asian fusion is located right across the street and there are few other restaurants near by. And it's close to all major highways as well .
The parking is horrible, and the room I stayed in only had one working outlet that had a power strip attached to it by the desk. When I checked in the guy at the service desk just gave me my key had me sign some paperwork and told me what side of the building my room was on and that was it! He did not tell me about any gym or breakfast times, nothing!
There are not a lot of choices in this area, and Best Western is always reliable. The front desk staff makes your stay very pleasant, as does the better than average breakfast. Rooms need to be upgraded( as does the outside areas), but are clean and have everything you need. Avoid any rooms on the third floor, as they have no windows, only skylights. They are however a little larger than regular rooms
older worn hotel, great location, nice staff. disappointing breakfast, not great TV reception, hall on the way to room could have better lighting, internet fades in and out. all in all not bad experience.
Very clean, excellent staff from desk to breakfast lady to maids. Very comfortable beds. Excellent expanded breakfast includes waffles and scrambled eggs and fresh fruit (one of the best run breakfasts we've ever seen in a BW.) Soups Mon-Wed in the evening; cookies Thurs-Sun. Enjoyed having a fridge and coffee maker, free parking at our door, newspaper, great wifi, always hot water, iron and board, good lighting, big TV, desk plus a table and two club chairs, nice linens and good pillows, excellent location for Westbury House and Gardens, Planting Fields Arborateum, Sagamore Hill, and Oyster Bay. Lots of good restaurants and shopping very near. Some traffic noise, but with earplugs we slept very well.
Great location, on Jericho Turnpike near the end of Route 135. Plenty of good restaurants nearby , walking distance to good diner, short drive to food store, and train station. Clean rooms, good breakfast, free parking, courteous, pleasant staff. Great value.
Very nice hotel, breakfast in the morning was a bonus, very clean rooms, easy access to two major highways as well. A recommendation would be to have microwaves in the bedroom, it was a little inconvenient having to go to the lobby to warm up my food.
Very nice front office folks. This hotel is a good value and a good location right next to some amazing eateries and Farmingdale University. There was something wrong with my key, but the front office folks were more than helpful
We have stayed at the Best Western Woodbury a few times over the last 3 years. The location is close to where our daughter goes to college. The rooms are clean and the staff is always friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is in a great area. There are numerous good restaurants, from excellent Deli to a wonderful diner. The hotel is off a major North/South road Rt 135. My room was a single so the size was very appropriate for one person.
I enjoyed my stay here. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. It is a bit close to the road so you do hear traffic and loud cars quite easily. Another thing I was disappointed with was not being able to check in early without having to pay a fee. It kind of ruined the surprise I had in mind. Also, we were given a room and once we got to our room, the door was open and the cleaning lady said this room isn't ready and was kind of rude with us as if we chose the room. Aside from that my stay here was good and I'd definitely consider staying here again.
I was able to enjoy a great stay in the king size room. It was cozy, spacious, and provided a welcoming atmosphere. Parking is offered. The area is safe, no need to worry. There are surrounding restaurants as well as a huge supermarket down the road. The continental breakfast offered made the stay a delight. I look forward to spending another weekend stay as soon as possible.
We stayed at the Best Western Woodbury Inn a few months ago and have just booked our second stay. This hotel has a great location, close to highways and lots of great restaurants. The hotel room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast offered lots of great food choices and was well stocked. This is a great place to stay!
I normally stay at this hotel one I'm in Long Island New York which I normally stay to three nights a month this is my home away from home they treat me like family I walk in they know me by name rooms are clean. In the summertime they have pool parties.
My wife & I had to make a quick emergency trip from out of town and went on line to find a place to stay. Having lived in this area all our lives before moving to Massachusetts we had no idea where to stay. We went on line and found a few choices. Our first choice was BEST WESTERN in Woodbury N.Y. The desk clerk was very helpful and found us a room that was acceptable. It turned out to be GREAT.
Stayed in the hotel while visiting family and they even were nice enough to upgrade our room before we checked in to one of the executive suites and it was clean and pleasant. Great rates for the room and free wifi too.
This hotel is convenient located to major highways and great restaurants. The rates are unbeatable, the Staff is very accomodating & pleasant plus their complimentary breakfast is terrific. While you're in the area, be sure to check out Butera's Italian Restaurant across the street.
It's been months since I stayed here. What do I remember? Paper litter on the office floor. A long time to check in with reservation. A room with no heat on a very cold winter night. The valiant efforts of the desk manager to first fix the heater, then give me another room. I didn't want to give the Woodbury Inn a standing ovation when I checked out.
Once again the Woodbury Inn came in very handy while visiting my daughter at LIU. Because of the good rates, I am able to take the money I would have spent at a "fancy" hotel, and use it to take my daughter out to dinner instead. I've come here often and the rooms are low key but they are always clean and the beds are comfortable. The people at the front desk have always been friendly, helpful and attentive. I'm very happy we found this little spot.
I stayed here for 10 days last November, through Thanksgiving and to celebrate my 60th Birthday! I rented one of the Meeting Rooms for the party and everything went great! The Staff and Front Desk are very friendly and helpful. the room, although a bit small was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Great bed and great breakfast served every morning!I couldn't have asked for better. I will stay here again and hope it will be as enjoyable as the first time. Thank you Best Western for making my trip very memorable!
Great place, very accommodating and was right by the highway for easy access! There was also a great diner right across the street which made the stay even more enjoyable. Parking was also good, we got to park right in front of our room. Would come here again if we had an event in the area.
When you find something good you stick with it. For me, it's the Best Western Woodbury Inn. We always get a clean comfortable room, courteous staff and a great breakfast. When you need a place to stay put the Best Western Woodbury Inn at the top of your list.
I stay at the Bestwestern Woodbury twelve to twenty plus nights per year. I have never experience any problem that could not fixed within minutes. And never a serious issue. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. The grounds are well maintained. It is a pleasure to be greeted by the same friendly faces each visit. I'll be back May 14th!!
I was so disappointed by my most recent visit, especially since this hotel used to be much better. It started with the fact that I didn't get the type room I reserved. I was told that "we are sold out" of the room you wanted. My reservation was made quite awhile back and I wonder if the room was sold out why was I given a confirmed reservation. This wasn't a big deal but having my door loudly banged upon by staff despite the "do not disturb" sign was. Staff urgently needed to know if I had placed one of my chairs on the porch (which I hadn't). Why this necessitated waking me up escapes me. Then in the middle of the night we were twice awakened by the telephone. Other guests were trying to reach the front desk to complain about noise and apparently got our room by mistake, The breakfast area was crowded and the tables remained uncleaned after guests left them. When I checked out, the clerk asked me about my stay and when I started telling her some of my concerns she responded, "I have to try and remember not to ask guests if their stay was OK". I told her not to ask a question if you don't want to hear the answer. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable.
I stayed at this little nice spot during October and I had a very nice time considering I was barely there but the staff in the Front Desk was very helpful and very considerate! There was one girl who was pretty cute but I can't remember her name! Sucks, maybe next time! I love that the staff are attentive and was very helpful because on the last day i was there, I didn't know which train to take to get back to the airport. They gladly helped me. Thank you so much! It was a very good first time in NY
Staff couldn't have been more helpful or cheerful. Great comfortable room and very clean. The location was easy to find and had a variety of restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.
Each time I come to New York, there's never a question as to where I will stay. The top of my list have been and remains, the Best Western, Woodbury. I am assured of three things. A clean and comfortable room, great breakfast and soup during the week and most important, a staff that's polite, professional and sincerely concerned about its patrons. Most certainly a diamond.
Smile and the world goes round! Amazing service and wonderful hospitality! Staff was just awesome! Great location... clean spacious rooms with easy access to all amenities. Right off the highway. The continental breakfast was excellent! I will definitely stay here again! A+++ rating!
Whenever I go to NY which is like every second week, I always stay at BWW. Clean room, unlimited coffee ?? , lots of parking and the breakfast is icing on a cake ????. It's close to 110mall where I do all the shopping also It's opposite to Moca and lots of best restaurants in town.
We always choose this hotel when we stay in the area because it is great value for the price! The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the staff is very warm and welcoming. They have been very accommodating during all of our stays. There are a couple of great restaurants nearby we can easily walk to.
Great location with easy access to all amenities, and easy driving from the highway. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was super friendly. The continental breakfast was excellent! I will stay here again.
I have been staying at this hotel whenever I travel to Long Island for more than 20 years, and have always found it to be the perfect place for my needs. It's really easy to get to from the major highways, and the rooms are very comfortable. There is a selection of different room types and upgrades. Breakfast buffet is perfect, fast, and well stocked with a full selection - really don't need to go to a restaurant at all, and that is a huge savings. And, for other meals you may need, or just a late night snack, there is a great diner just across the side street you can walk to. In the warm weather, you will enjoy the pool, which is very quiet and peaceful, and surrounded by a pretty garden. If your travels bring you to Long Island and you need a place to stay, this is it!
I have stayed here several times. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. I especially like having a refrigerator in the room. The staff is helpful and willing to do the little extra things to make the visit pleasant.
The room was clean and comfortable, Breakfasts is excellent; plentiful in clean and sociable environment. The hotel has excellency gym equipment in a clean and well attended facility in the basement. The hotel also has a very nice pool with outdoor seating. Desk clerks are very pleasant and knowledge.
I've stayed at this hotel a few times when I go East to visit my daughter at school. It's centrally located, close to shops and restaurants, has a great pool, and the customer service has always been excellent. The breakfast every morning has always been good and filling. I also like that the hot water, coffee and tea is available all day. If you want a cup of herb tea while relaxing, watching TV at night, it's nice that it's available. There's also a nice fitness center so you don't miss your workouts! Will definitely be back again soon!
The Best Western Woodbury Inn is my first choice of lodging when staying in the Nassau County area. The front desk personnel are friendly and very helpful. The accommodations are comfortable and reasonably priced for the area. The breakfast buffet has multiple choices of hot and cold items including yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles, bagels, pastries, cereals, fruit juice, coffee and tea. The Woodbury Inn has a great location because it is located minutes from many major highways.
Daniel at the front desk was very personable and helpful. He even printed out the menu of a local restaurant and brought it to my room. His service was above expectations. I would highly recommend this motel.
Excellent place. Very professional staff. Hotel rooms exceptionally clean. The Pet rooms were clean and sanitized. There was no evidence of former pet occupancy. The beds were excellent even for me who sleeps usually on a waterbed. Breakfast was GREAT!
Whenever I am traveling in Long Island, I try to stay at this hotel. The manager and staff are always extremely accommodating and friendly. The room is super comfortable and meets all my needs and the location is great for reaching a lot of locations. I have usually found the price to be far lower than any comparable hotels. When the weather is nice, the outdoor pool is great and though the hotel is in suburbia, with the palm trees you feel like you are taking a vacation in Florida.
Were visiting Long Island and came across this hotel. It was clean, friendly and reasonably priced. It has good access to everything that we wanted, and was close to our friends place. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed the stay. We will be back!
Great place to stay. VERY convenient location. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Will continue to stay here whenever I go to Long Island! Close to beaches, museums, sporting venues and shopping.
This is an all around great place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of choices. The rooms are clean and quiet. The bathrooms are are also very clean. Plenty of parking. I visit the area once a month for business and always stay here.
I stay at this hotel when I coming to town a lot of things around the area to do and good restaurants to eat at easy access to the 135 and all major highways staff members a good rooms are OK The only thing I was a little disappointed with the last trip was I called up for a early check-in the The front desk person over the phone said yes they do except early check-in's I walk in to get an early check-in and they hit me with an extra fee which was not mentioned over the phone very disappointed about that
Have stayed here many times and have always been satisfied. I travel to Woodbury frequently on business and this has been the most accommodating hotel in the area. Friendly staff, clean rooms, reasonably priced and a good breakfast selection every morning. Would recommend the Best Western to anyone staying in the area.
I love coming here when I need to rest on the weekend or when I just want to stay for the night around the corner from work, it's peaceful everyone is so nice especially Daniel he is there all the time always smiling nothing is ever a bother he will even call you to make sure your comfortable in your room! I don't know anyone who takes the time to do that at any other hotel! Trust me this is the place to stay! Enjoy
Excellent service, room was nice, clean, great location near many amenities. There are many good restaurants and major stores in the immediate area also convenient to mass transit. Good value good continental breakfast will book again when in area.
I have had the honor of staying at the Best Western Woodbury Inn. I had a miscommunication with my stay dates and they fixed my stay with no questions asked and made my stay delightful. I would recommend for everyone to stay here at Best western Woodbury Inn
We prepaid for a room with a kitchenette and two queen sized beds. When we checked in those rooms were full and we were given a standard room with two double beds. Two of our party of three were very uncomfortable.
My stay at the Best Western in Woodbury was very pleasant. I honestly do not live far from this location but I wanted to get away with my significant other and the Best Western was absolutely great. The room was SUPER CLEAN and it had wonderful amenities. I was very comfortable and was pleased with the free breakfast in the morning. The location was perfect too! It has so many shops you can stop by and take a look at, including a trail that you can take just 3 minutes up the road, if you are into the outdoors.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but with all amenities. The breakfast and staff are pleasant and parking is ample. Don't be fooled when you pull off the main road - it's a little set back and a pleasant surprise.
My hubby and I stay here from time to time, it is a comfortable and cozy getaway from home, we also enjoy the fresh complimentary breakfast, the service is great, check in/out is easy, the rooms are clean, staff is very friendly and helpful - we have a great experience each time. We would highly recommend this location to everyone ??.
If you are looking for a place with curb appeal, you will not find it here; It's located behind what looks like an unoccupied catering hall. However, I was pleasantly surprised how well kept the grounds were. The rooms were very clean. The staff, especially housekeeping were accommodating, cordial & courteous. The location is close to all. I would have given a 5 out of 5 but the climate control system was a little quirky. Overall, a great value and plan on booking there again in the near future.
Very comfortable, clean Room, wonderful amenities, breakfast, staff, second to none! Convenient to many favorite location(s): Shopping along with a local Starbucks, or Dunkin Donuts, variety of restaurants to cater to one's own palates,
I find the location of the Motel in a good location for me to handle my business on Long Island, New York. The rooms are very clean, but then I stay in one of two rooms, Room 165 or Room 166 in the Motel. The only complaint I would have is that the commodes in bathrooms are small and not the standard commodes you would have in your homes. The Employees are all very friendly to me when ever I have business in New York City or on Long Island, I stay at the Woodbury Inn, approximately two times a month. Easy access to a wonderful dinner across the road from Motel.
We stay there for a couple of nights almost every week for business. I recommend the "oversized" rooms (slightly higher in price) & we always request the top floor. Staff is always nice & accommodating. Complimentary choice of 3 soups between 5 & 7:00 pm. Breakfast bar has fresh bagels & pastries plus more. A little tight in the breakfast area but tables are set up in the lobby right next to the breakfast bar. Good value, especially for this area on Long Island.
There were pros and cons, but overall I think the pros out weighed the cons. The rooms were clean and the main part of the room was nice and roomy. The bathroom however was probably the smallest bathroom we have ever had in a hotel. It was hard to shut the door while in the bathroom between the shower and the toilet. The exterior of the hotel was really attractive with a nice large parking lot and within walking distance to a nice diner and a red mango yogurt shop. The continental breakfast was really nice and fresh. We did have a bit of a hassle checking in. Not only did the guy checking us in get things a bit mixed up but he was rather rude and condescending to us about it. The following morning the girl checking us out was more than helpful and very professional.
This place is great ! Daniel Gill at front desk was most professional person I've booked a hotel room with in 20 years. Made sure he gave me best rate available, got me an upper floor room as I had requested and when I arrived made sure I had everything I needed. Great location as many restaurant options across the street and 30 seconds away. Very clean, well run, well managed, hotel in the middle of all the histle and bustle.
The hotel van picked us up at the LIRR Sysosset station. When we arrived we received two bottles of water and a bag of chips. The room was clean. They have breakfast with eggs, oat meal, cereal, waffles, breads, juice, coffee, tea and other goodies. When we left we requested the van but when we were ready to leave the van was unavailable so they called a car service for us and they paid for it. We received several called from the front desk to see if everything was ok. This hotel is pet friendly. The only problem is if you want to walk a resturant you need to cross two major roads. The overall area is very nice lots of good resturants. Don't judge the hotel by the front of the building the entrance is on the south side. I would go back.
The experiences that have brought me back to this hotel over and over again are priceless. The services are extraordinary, from front desk to room service. The units that I have occupied are always clean and comfy. The breakfast is attractive and rewarding because of my hectic schedule in the Morning, rushing to meetings. Eateries and shopping conveniences make the Woodbury BW. A must stay.
The hotel is located in a quite area. Quite good parking space. The rooms, bed and bathrooms are neat and everyday the housekeeping does quite a good job. Quite spacious rooms too. Rooms are easily accessible from parking lot because its just two floors connected via stair cases and also elevators. They may also entertain if you have special requests which you need in the room. That was a really a plus for me when they told me that they can arrange a microwave in my room without an additional charge. The only thing is breakfast has very less options unlike other Best Westerns I know of. So the final thing is..the price is decent, stuff located nearby too even in walking distance and pretty close to freeway.
I spent a total of 8 weeks in this hotel over the last 3 months. Every room I was in was clean and the beds were always comfortable. The staff was always very pleasant and helpful. I had one issue where a room had a leak at a window and they were able to move me very quickly. Only hotel I found with the variety of restaurants within walking distance. If I need to stay in the area again this will be the first place I try.
Highly recommend this hotel; the room was clean, the bed soft (but not too soft) and the internet worked like a charm. It's a great place for a business night stay - everything I needed and nothing too frilly. The rate was right on key and I felt safe and comfortable. I arrived during the aftermath of a large snowfall; the walks were clean, the stairs had salt down and the parking lot was plowed. Well done!
I stay here often (4-5 times a year) for business. I pay my own expenses out of my own pocket.... so cost is paramount! This motel (all outside entry rooms) is old and tired and falling apart. It's generally clean - I have NEVER had an issue with bugs/pests etc... but the rooms are falling apart and the furniture is worn.... If it wasn't for the GREAT location and the GREAT Free Breakfast - I wouldn't stay here. Booking thru certain sites... especially with Capt Kirk's help... I get very very cheap rates.
Best Western Inn of Woodbury , LI , NY is probably one of the best hotels in the area of the North Shore on Long Island. Its close to top restaurants , all parkways and a lot of sight seeing in the area. The staff at the hotel is very professional and understanding and hospitable to the guests. Therefore I recommend this hotel and give it a perfect 1O.
We needed a pet friendly hotel for a family gathering and found the Best Western Woodbury to be a wonderful value! The room was clean, the people friendly, free internet and continental breakfast (with eggs & waffles), good service... I was not sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised! Already booked 3 rooms for our next family gathering in a couple of months.
Was there on business and had a great experience clean comfortable rooms and great staff the breakfast was fresh with wide verity to choose from staff was Very polite and helpful location is close to major highways great experiance
I was very pleased that this property is well kept and has lots of parking. The checkin was really quick, expecially since I arrived later than I expected. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was better than what I was expecting, and checked my email on the WIFI. Well done, Best Western! Well done!
We were in town for funeral services and needed exactly what we got...an affordable, very clean hotel. Though there are signs that it's been around for awhile, the hotel has been updated and the rooms were spotless (the MOST important thing to me). Breakfast was AMAZING! Much nicer that the usual. Staff was very courteous.
The Woodbury Inn is located in an area of Long Island, that is close to stores, restaurants and main roads. The motel itself is clean and and the staff very pleasant. The beds are very comfortable and a good breakfast is available each morning. We enjoy coming here because we feel safe and someone is on duty around the clock. In the summer months the pool is an added bonus on a hot day, tranquil and relaxing.
I live in California now but my folks are still in Woodbury. Best Western is a convenient, clean hotel with no hassles. I also love the free breakfast & the variety they have. Whether I make fresh waffles or have the egg special that is waiting & hot. I must say the staff keeps the kitchen area & seating area very clean & fully stocked. I highly recommend staying here.
Everytime we stay here I have to rave about the staff and the location. It's close to he LIRR and it is easy to get to the parkways if you have your own vehicle. But most of all we love the continental breakfast the next morning we always get the eggs, with the cheese and ham it's to die for. We also love how it is always clean and the kitchen staff always makes sure that the food is always full and ready to be eaten. We never have a dull stay at this location it is always amazing and we always get treated well.
I've stayed here more than a handful of times in the past few months and it is priced well for what you get. Good complementary breakfast and drinks throughout the day. Good location as well with lots of stores nearby.
Front desk was very helpful, especially Jen. Housekeeping was great! If I come back to the Woodbury area I will definitely be staying here again. I suggest if you plan on visiting take the time to check out this hidden gem!
NIce clean room. Moderate priced mote. Comfortable beds. Fine if you are looking for a no frills but clean hotel. Well located and friendly staff. Cookies and soup are available in the lobby. Nice touch.
The room was clean. There is construction in the front entrance nearest the road. It is in a convenient central LI location. The breakfast had a good variety and the staff was attentive keeping it stocked. We had to request a cot three times before they provided one.
The location of the hotel is great, convenient to highways, restaurants, etc. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the breakfast is good. Aside from bagels, muffins and pastries, you can make your own waffles. For those not into carbs, there are eggs, yogurt and fruit. There's 24/7 coffee and tea, which is nice to pick up whenever you want. I also stayed in the Summer, and the pool area is really nice. The rooms are average, but clean. I don't like the outside entrances, but you'd have to pay more for a hotel with "inside" rooms.
My husband and I wanted to get away. We really enjoyed our stay :) it was a cozy and comforting stay, I would definitely stay again and recommend the Best Western Woodbury Inn to my friends and family. The hotel is located in a great convenient location
Comfortable place and friendly staff who tries to respond to your requests. During the blizzard they served soups in the evening as there was no resturants open and driving was not an option. When the snow was winding down the employees helped to dig out the cars for accessibility to get to the main road. Breakfast was good with a fair variation of different items. Would definitely stay there again on the next trip out to that area.
We stayed in the hotel with our 3 year old toddler for three nights. The rooms were moldy, smelly, which turned out to be because of very poor cleaning. they would clean one bed and leave the other one covered with a sheet. They forgot soap, didn't touch sink, they left garbage inside the room. They didn't wipe dust. We complained. They said they were sorry. but honestly, i've never seen anything like this at any two star hotel. I'm sure for a 100 bucks a night there are other places to stay around here On a bright side - good breakfast.
The BW in Woodbury NY. is an outstanding facility, full wonderful amenities and professionalism. The Hot breakfast is just the beginning of what you will experience at this hotel. A very caring and polite staff, clean and comfortable room, eateries and shopping conveniences, just to name a few. I have never been disappointed over the years that I have stayed at the Best Western in Woodbury New York.
This hotel is immaculately clean. The staff are outstanding in their efforts to meet the needs of the quest. This is an older hotel that could use some upgrades such a ADA toilets for older quests. The walk in shower is so very accommodating. Great flat screen TV's with such clear pictures.
Friendly staff, nice home environment, clean place, and ideal for business travel to Long Island. Hotel has evening soups early in the week. Breakfast in the morning has a variety of items to choose from. I try to book at this location in Long Island.
The first thing I always do when checking into a hotel is check the air filter of the heater air conditioner. This hotel must clean them weekly I have never had a dirty filter this makes sleeping easier and comfortable The breakfast is a great start to my day fruit is fresh
This is a premier location for me to do business on Long Island, every detail is near by and easily accessible for me to see my customers. The room was clean and up-to-date, I especially love the shower, which has hot water without end! The Desk Staff are accommodating, friendly, and genuinely sincere in their efforts to please! VERY SATISFIED WITH MY STAY AND WILL RETURN AGAIN!
Checkin was friendly and the room was well kept. A quiet property with a nice breakfast. My only problem with this property is that often I've had problems with my card key. Someone had to change the whole doorknob before I could settle in.
Hotel staff was extremely helpful and very nice. BUT...rooms are very small. Smelled like a hospital. We got the room with two doubles; mattresses were uncomfortable and the heat/fan/ac unit sounded like a plane taking off. A bit disappointing reading the reviews, but the staff was nice. If you are looking for something in Woodbury, this might be your best option If not, there are other hotels within 5 miles that may be a bit nicer for the price
We've stayed here twice...summer of 2014 and summer of 2015. Pros: Staff members are very friendly, kind, and helpful. Breakfast is in a nice sunny area and it's fun to make your own waffles Location with free parking Pool Family friendly Cons: For the price point of about $150+, I expected better. The room smelled musty and the bathroom was very small and cheaply renovated - felt like a motel. Breakfast is carb heavy and the breakfast area is rather tight. Our stay in the summer of 2015 was not restful. The A/C unit exuded a foul odor. The staff quickly responded. A very helpful maintenance person removed the unit cover and there appeared to be black substance (mold?) all over the filter. He sprayed some chemical over it, but this left a chemical smell. We needed to rest as we had a toddler and no other rooms were available so we left the A/C off, but it was the middle of summer. In the middle of the night, the clock alarm went off (which we did not set). The staff was very apologetic in the morning and refunded a portion of our cost. The staff members are so good, they belong in a nicer facility.
The hotel is the best value on Long Island. The rooms are not very special, but they are clean and the bed is comfortable. The staff is professional and friendly. High speed Internet is good, but the firewall must have been blocking my email because I couldn't access all of my accounts. The complimentary breakfast is close to dreadful, and if I have time I prefer to eat at the diner just a block away.
booked this hotel on orbitz because it was the cheapest of the 3 star options and was very pleased. It was nothing glamorous but it was well worth the money I spent. Room was nice and clean, bed was extremely comfortable and the free continental breakfast was wonderful!
good value and very reasonable rate. room was perfectly clean, and looked like it had recently been updated. everything worked. i was very comfortable. plus there is a GREAT diner right across the street!
this was a nice and clean hotel and the people made it work just fine. Thank you the location was great and the stores and food around are the best. I recommend it to anyone..i have stayed here for years under the same gm. and he is a great guy and friendly with a professional way of treating everyone. We are grateful for the experience...
Highly recommended; the location was convenient and easily accessible. The staff extremely courteous and accommodating. The room was large and clean. Breakfast included a large assortment of choices. Will definitely book again.
On a visit to New York after Christmas, although the Best Westen Woodbury Inn was far from New York city, the property is very well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Area around the hotel was quiet and pleasant, definitely family friendly. Train rides into the city were convenient but can be costly. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, but for sure not close to NYC. What did we not like- beds were not super comfy, ok, but could improve, the area where our room was located was on the not so pretty side, again ok, but can use improvement, last but not least, way too many lights in the bathroom. ...after a few minutes it felt like you were being slow roasted after your shower. Otherwise a nice property I would visit again if in this area again.
We were attending a family funeral and stayed at this property as it was centrally located between places where various activities would happen. The location is very good with the ability to get to major roads, restaurants, etc. very easily. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For example, we booked two rooms online -- they were different types. Without our asking the desk manager upgraded one of the rooms at no extra cost so we would be next to each other. The sleeping area was and beds were comfortable though the furnishings could use some updating. The shower was large, water pressure good and water remained hot. It was nice that all drinks in the breakfast area and fruit were available throughout the day. Some negatives. The bathroom area was very cramped and got very hot. Unfortunately, the day we arrived they had just changed the keying system so we had no keys and didn't get them until late in the following day. Breakfast options were plentiful but pretty standard stuff -- some good some not so good. Avoid the egg sandwiches as the bread was soggy. And the space was very tricky to navigate -- lots of people trying to access different "food stations" bumping into each other, having to reach over each other etc. Seating was tricky to find and some had to wait for others to leave before sitting. Parking was tricky our first night. I ended up in a spot with a drain that didn't work. It rained while we were sleeping. When I went to move the car the following morning I had to navigate through a large puddle --probably 4 to 5 inches deep and my shoes and pants ended up soaked. When I mentioned the drain issue to the front desk recognizing it might not be an easy problem to fix and suggested they close off the space the clerk told me she'd had the same problem the previous week. She was very friendly but I was surprised they hadn't addressed a known problem in some way. If you are looking for a reasonable priced place in a good location with comfortable beds this is fine, but don't expect more than that. It i s what it is.
When we arrived we were told there would be a fifteen dollar fee for checking in 25 minutes earlier . Our room heater was extremely noisy . The toilet was extremely low , especially for a premium room at a premium price . The breakfast area didn't have enough tables to sit at .We had to return to check table availability a few times . The quality of the breakfast was fair at best .
The hotel was full by it was very quite it. The beds were comfortable . Breakfast was good but the space for breakfast was small. The only problem we occurred, they need more bars for older people to get in & out or Shower & bathroom.
We're a family of four with two small kids (ages 6 and 3) who planned to stay in the hotel for two nights and then with family for two nights over Thanksgiving. When our extended family came down with a stomach bug, the hotel was so helpful, found us a similar room, let us check out of our first room late and check in early to the new room, gave us an excellent rate, and made the whole process smooth. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the cleaning staff, the front desk, the workers for the breakfast buffet. The kids love the breakfast with a huge variety of food. We all loved those breakfasts and the delicious soups every night.
Friendly staff, best continental breakfast I have ever had. Clean rooms with plenty of amenities. GREAT PRICE! Free shuttle service to nearby locations. I definitely recommend staying here and will use Best Western for my future travels.
Reasonable price for this area on Long Island. Very comfortable bed and good breakfast. It's not the Ritz but clean and comfortable for the price. Great front desk staff that goes out of their way to accomidate you.
No lighting in front parking area along Jericho turnpike, outside stairs were metal and slick and wet. Hotel male older clerk very condescending and indifferent to our concerns about the safety of the unlit parking area. We checked out immediately and found a Marriott in the area.....after a long trip this was not a pleasant experience. Room had a Mitsubishi heater in wall.....no actual heat or A/C as part of the building....atrocious.
Came here as a last minute deal and had an excellent stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything you need. Breakfast was something different every morning in the hot section, and very tasty! Staff were very helpful, and if you don't drive here like we didn't, they will gladly take you to Syosset station so you can catch a train! Would definitely stay again, perfect for us as it was away from the noise of New York, yet still close enough to be convenient.
The Best Western Inn of Woodbury is an excellent choice for a stay in the Huntington area. Please consider it for both great value and great comfort. We were extremely pleased in all areas of service and comfort!
Staff more than helpful, Very clean room, comfortable, Walking distance to dining and shopping, ample safe parking, nice hot shower, very good breakfast, very recommended, would stay here again, enjoyed my stay.
Pros: Great staff, great location, pet friendly rooms, ample parking, basic breakfast with coffee available all day, hot showers on demand, overall good value. Cons: No frills value comes at a price - no microwave, cheap toilet paper, noisy in-room HVAC, cramped quarters. Notes: Toilets appear to be older, non-water conservation types; there may not be an elevator for 2nd floor rooms.
This motel used to be like thousands of other motels. Drab, stinky, noisy, and just generally a gloomy place. It has been three years sine I have stayed here and I have nothing but praise for what Best Western has done to the place right down to a staff that is suprofessional and keep up with the best of em. Room was clean, beds were brand new (had purchase tags on them), very big for two "double" beds. Fridge coffeemaker iron/ironing board, could have used a microwave. Super quiet and cozy and no more feeling of second-class place. Wonderful and accomodating staff. My son and I spent more time hanging out in room than we had imagined. good job all
My 2 sisters and I (along with our families) had to make the trip to Long Island due to a death in the family and I have to say that the Best Western was not only convenient but it was reasonable to stay here and it included breakfast! The entire staff from the front desk, to the cleaning staff, to the maintenance staff were all very pleasant. We will surely be staying here again! Thank you for everything!
We decided to stay at the Woodbury Inn because it is pet friendly. We live in Florida and didn't want to leave the dogs behind. However, we ended up finding a dog sitter. My wife and I still had a wonderful time. They have smoke free rooms with a nice balcony. There was a kitchenette and a living room suitable for a couple of people to visit. The location was excellent. I will be staying there again for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Best Hotel experience ever! Great staff, great room, great breakfast. Very well- run...everything was perfect! Held a Birthday Party in the meeting room and it was great. Vernon helped set up and was very accomodating. Front Desk couldn't be nicer and the maids were very friendly!
The best thing about this place is the breakfast and customer service!!! The best breakfast for a best western ever. Great staff - nice workout room with a big universal machine and cardio. They even served a free soup bar at night. Great location. Room was ok - I had a single room - bed was average at best, had couch and table, flat screen tv - mini fridge and coffee maker. Floor was squeaky and had some soft spots in room 255. Also all the outlets didn't work except for the one behind the couch. I let the front desk know when I left and I am sure they will fix it.
During Business Days stay at Best western woodbury was very comfortable. They had all the required amenities at the right level from the start till the end. To summarize in one word if you are looking for hassle free stay then Best Western is the ideal choice
The Best Western Woodbury Inn is close to several expressways and to many shops and restaurants. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's my go-to place for Long Island! The continental breakfast is convenient if you're in a hurry.
Absolutely loved everything. Breakfast was amazing well above expectations I was thrilled. Rooms were nice nd clean. Staff was awesome. Parking lots lit and safe with cameras very comforting 24 hr surveillance. Friendly people and staff. Perfect all around. Will be back. Best hotel in area have found Love it love it
The hotel is an older property and could use some updating. We like the breakfast, because it is uncomplicated..It's usually a fairly quiet place, but comfortable enough to get a good nights sleep. Don't like the fact that pets are allowed.
This is my first time staying at a Best Western and I was so impressed with this hotel. Daniel was excellent and when we checked in he gave us complimentary bottles of water, told us to help ourselves to fresh baked cookies/coffee/drinks etc. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Breakfast included was also really enjoyable. I absolutely would stay in this hotel again and will now look at BW hotels in the future!!
My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel for my high school reunion. The room had a nice sized kitchenette with silverware and all of our food making needs. The bathroom had a huge bathtub. Perfect for taking nice relaxing baths. There was also plenty of room around the sink to put my makeup, toothbrush, and other toiletries. There was a couch in our bedroom so that I could invite a couple of people over to visit for a little bit. It has a desk to do homework or if you work from home. There was also a nice sized TV with cable. Last, but not least, the bed was amazing. I don't think my bed at home is as nice as the one that I slept on while staying at this hotel. They are environment friendly!!It was definitely a wonderful experience!
I very much enjoyed my second stay at BW Jericho Tpk. It is centrally located on Long Island, provides a free Continental breakfast and evening soup choice. I had a very pleasant stay. The room was more than adequate ; However There was no tub in the single room, my only disappointment .
I had a wonderful stay here. The staff is excellent, especially Rachel at the front desk. Her glowing smile makes you feel very welcome. The beds are superior quality. I slept very well. I loved the breakfast buffet. They had many delicious choices including some organic food. I will definitely stay here again!
I enjoyed my stay here, the room was small but clean I would like to have had a microwave but it does have a fridge. I work very late so more convenient to just heat something up. I also would have preferred to have a bottom floor having to carry heavy suitcases up metal staircases was not appealing to me. It was not an option. The young gentleman checking me in was very polite and friendly, the older man helping him took my cards and copied them instead of handing them back or laying them down he just tossed them at me. I have a problem with that kind of customer service. I would much rather you not help if I am a bother to you. But overall, my only concern was my room. I was very happy with it once I dragged all my belongings into it.I would stay there again, it is close to the highway, food stores plenty of restaurants, gas,and convenient shops, Starbucks Coffee very close by! Huge plus!
I have been commuting here back and forth for work for about a year now with my boyfriend and I have to say it is now our home away from home. Daniel, at the front desk, BY FAR, the best employee of the Best Western. He goes above and beyond to make you feel like you DESERVE to be there. I really hope that the company knows his worth because he literally is the exact definition of a hard working employee. Great job, Daniel.
I just have to say I've stayed here about 100 nights in the last year for business. Yes that stinks for my life living in a hotel but the best western is our go to. Daniel at the front desk is great. Ash is new I think, but he has learned from the best and is awesome. Daniel thank you for making the bww our home away from home.
I stayed at the BW Woodbury Inn on 2 occasions last year during my oldest son's basketball season. Once in November, then again in February. We were satisfied with our accommodations. My youngest son had some problems with his Wi-Fi connection but the people at the front desk were very helpful getting him setup. The breakfast was satisfactory. We all found something to eat each morning. Rooms were clean and fully equipped. We will definitely stay there again next season.
I found the service to be excellent. The room was clean and maid service was done every day. The location is excellent near the Northern Parkway and Long Island expressway. There were several nice restaurants in the area including a diner you could walk to. Overall a great value.
My wife and I have been using this hotel for years. Every year we travel to the area to meet up with family and friends. The rooms are consistently clean and well taken care of. The morning breakfast is perfect for our three kids. The front desk is always friendly and accomidating to our needs. We can always trust this hotel. Never any issues in the years we have been going. Thus, why we keep going back.
I was happy but also unhappy The front desk employees were excellent as they could be. The cleaning staff was of question. The head of the cleaning staff stood out side our door yakking away on the phone outside the rooms smoking a cigarette while our room and the one next to it had put out signs saying we are resting do not disturb. The second morning we were awakened early the constant roar of the leaf blower early in the morning and not concerned that five doors had signs out requesting no noise. The room were not "fresh" especially after one couple below us were at breakfast. They were called to their room to a flood of bacteria laden toilet wasted flooding their room and being absorbed by their bags, luggage etc. Needless to say (perhaps) the bacteria laden bags and clothing were to be thrown out. After they returned to the front desk to ask for a refund and replacement of the damaged goods they were informed by the staff they had contacted the manager.....who did not respond to them. Later these folks discovered they wee being charged 200 more for a cleaning fee!!! The inaction of the manager to immediately respond to any of these issues was beyond any level of poor service especially since the young man had his medicines in one of the bags that was socked by the toilet soaked bacteria laden overflow. The poor man was a kidney transplant survivor and the medicine could have potentially contained bacteria's that would have made him sick. I hope he is not. And the employees each showed their distain for the very rules they offer to post outside the doors--a lack of respect for all customers who put your sign out asking for quiet. So what would it take to make the stay better was your question....cleaner rooms, better treatment of customers by the manager responding to a critical problem and more concern for the friendly respectful service people have come to expect. You should refund what was paid before these people all tell their credit card companies not to pay the bill. I do hope to hear back from you as to how each situation is to be handled before we stay again. Sincerely, Michael Graham
Musty odor, became very sick from whatever was spewing from the filthy damp carpet. There are other nice places nearby so I would suggest you don't stay in this dirty hotel. The breakfast was not at all good, so we ate at the diner nearby
One of the cleanest hotels I have been in, professional and courteous staff. Will definitely stay here again. There is a complimentary breakfast that is beyond belief, great variety and everything fresh. The dining area is very clean , the coffee nice and hot. Made for a great start to the day. I was pleasantly surprised.
Nice place to stay! Had a wonderful breakfast for our family! Pleasant people to deal with at the front desk. Would stay here another time when visiting! Nice and quiet area to stay for a good nights sleep.
I stay here a lot on business trips and the staff is very accommodating. The rooms are clean and have all the amenities I need, including Wi-Fi, TV, refrigerator and microwave (upon request). I especially like the complimentary breakfast selections. The location is very convenient to highways, and there are many dining and shopping options in the area.
We have stayed there twice while visiting family. The office staff is very helpful and professional. One of the rooms we stayed in was a bit dated, but the the hotel is clean and comfortable. They also do a nice breakfast. I have no hesitation to stay there again.
I've had occasion to stay at the Woodbury Best Western three times in the past year. In every case after a long ride from mid-NYS, this was a most welcome sight to a weary traveler. Coming here is magnificent from the plentiful breakfast goodies to the most comfortable rooms. The staff makes one feel like you are "coming home."
Nice place. Convenient to local places. Could do better by making a bigger breakfast room and changing toilets to newer ones. Hotel staff was very friendly so was the housekeepers. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast items were good and so was the internet connection.
This hotel location is very appreciated by my dogs. They are happy that they can sleep over while I'm able to visit my Dad who has been sick. Don't forget to bring pick up poop bag. The surrounding area is small for dog walking.
We had stayed at this hotel before, but in a different building and it was nice. This time, we were not so lucky and must have gotten the building that was not updated yet. Our first room was fine, until the TV stopped working. We called down to the front desk and the manager was less than excited about helping us. He complained that his maintenance crew is only available during the day. If the TV isn't working he can give us a new room. So we change rooms in order to get a working TV. Moved all of our stuff from one room to another and come to find out that this room has no working bathroom fan so by the time you are done with the shower, you have a sauna treatment too. The shower door is just standing inside of the frame - unattached. You can slide it over with great effort, but dare you mess a heavy glass object when you are wet- yeah no. The toilet was all jacked up too. Sit on it and it rocks forward. Oh Joy. We could not get the ancient airconditioner/heater unit to cooperate with us.. way too cold. The kicker was when my mother found a bug in her bed the last night. The ONLY saving grace of this hotel is the good location and the very nice breakfast that is included. Until the management does a better job updating and maintaining all the rooms, we will not be returning.
You can not find a better place to stay in the Woodbury NY area. The staff is outstanding, the rooms are clean, the service is a Ten out of Ten! Book it Now! We looked around and have stayed at other places in the area, nothing is of better value. The breakfast in the morning was better than the many restaurants in the area.
Conveniently located. Plenty of available parking close to entrances. Good lighting at night = safe. Front desk personnel efficient, friendly and helpful with directions and dining suggestions. Good breakfast. A very good value.
Not sure who wrote this as any more than a one star. Outside entrance, 1970 rooms, including the decoration, smells like 50 levels of fabreze, loud AC and even louder traffic. Dirty and scuffed up rooms! Horrible!!!!!!
We enjoyed our stay. It was a lovely room , clean , straight, No smoke residue . The staff was delightful. The included breakfast was GREAT!!! Nothing bad to say!! We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
Noise from the parking lot and other rooms kept me from having a full nights sleep. Called the front desk and they said other customers had already complained. Noise stopped 20 min later at 2:30AM. Last time
Enjoyed staying there.....Ben's Deli across the street! As well as a nice diner 1 minute away...If u come during the summer they have a pool. EZ Parking..... Rates not cheap but well worth the price....Very competitive... I like the fact that I can park right outside the door...Good breakfast....Free!! The bagels are great! I would recommend......
The hotel has many amenities that are available. Breakfast was delicious! Check-in and check-out went fast and quickly. The overall room was nice and could be updated. This was the second time I stayed here and it was just as nice as the first.
I have been staying here for the past year. Overall the stay has been excellent. Over the course of a year a few hitches are bound to crop up. What sets this place apart is how quickly they are addressed. The one or two items were addressed to my satisfaction. I had stayed at the HI down the road, but after staying here, I will never go back there again. They didn't care about me so they lost a customer for life.
We were on Long Island for our son's wedding and decided to stay at this Best Western. The employees were always courteous and friendly, always answered our questions respectfully and cordially. We were greeted with a smile even though we arrived at 1 a.m. to check in. They even loaned me a pair of scissors without hesitation when I needed one for a few minutes.. Everything went very well -- we couldn't be more pleased. Thank you . :-)
This will be our go-to hotel when staying on Long Island. We have a lot of family in both Nassau & Suffolk Counties and the convenience of this location to major highways works for us but most importantly is the value they offer. Rates are reasonable and the place is kept extremely clean, front desk staff are friendly, efficient & helpful. The lobby/breakfast area (a little small) is nice & kept well stocked, offering both hot & cold items for breakfast and delicious coffee! Rooms are a little small but CLEAN and had great bedding/pillows! They were able to honor our request for a first floor room and loved that we could pull our car right up to the door. So if you are looking for a 5 star place keep looking, but if you want a great place to stay that is reasonably priced do not hesitate booking here!
Had to go to NY for family business. I also stayed here last year prior to a vacation out of the country. The hotel front desk persons are very pleasant & helpful. The hotel is older, but the room was excellent for my needs. Very clean. The continental breakfast is a plus- beverages available all day. There is also a computer in the lobby. Very helpful. Will definitely stay here again as necessary.
This hotel gives you an inn feeling in a nice little busy village. Great staff and clean hotel and grounds. Internet was a little slow but not bad. Hot breakfast was good. Loved the different types of waffle mixes.
It was excellent value for the price. The rooms are a tad small, because it's an older structure, but it has been renovated and is comfortable. The breakfast foods served were very good, with eggs, bacon, all sorts of bread, toast, bagels, muffins, waffle maker, coffee available all day long. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff helpful. I would stay there again.
Hotel was perfectly adequate for business travel. I don't need frills or fancy services, so this hotel fit the bill. Price was good. Room decor was dated, but clean. I'm not a fan of exterior entrances. Outdoor lighting was virtually non-existent near my room, and visibility was an issue after sundown. It was difficult to see to insert the door key, not to mention guest safety/security with the lack of light.
This is a comfortable enough hotel with an interesting layout. I was able to check in around 1400 which I appreciated. The lobby is fairly spacious and they have coffee available all day. The juice machine is also turned on all day which is unusual. They offer cookies in the evening. There was lots of space in our room (we had a king with sofa) and everything was very quiet. I did ask to switch rooms (fortunately they had the kind I reserved available) as the room I was initially given didn't have a window; instead it had a sky light. I switched because I was worried about sun shining in on me in the morning before I was ready to get up! The room was clean, the carpet seemed newer and the bed slept well. I had no complaints about the room. There was also a microwave and good size refrigerator. The internet was super fast and stable. There was a sign in the lobby mentioning that the internet had been upgraded and boy was that right. I really enjoyed it. The door to our room was really squeaky and we got to listen to it sing every time we opened and closed the door - the hinges need oiled! Other than that, everything was nice and quiet. Breakfast was fine enough. They had all the items you would expect. There was scrambled eggs and scrambled eggs with cheese and diced ham. There was no other breakfast meat available. They did have cereal, yogurt, whole fruit, breads and several donut choices. You can see an extra effort is expended on breakfast.
Very convenient location to many places of interest only w/in 20 minutes! invited in-laws to stay - for which they truly enjoyed the room, pool, and the area of Glen Cove and also Former home of Theodore Roosevelt with museum, nature trails at 20 Sagamore Hill Rd, Oyster Bay, NY 11771. Wonderful time had by all!
I have nothing but good things to say about the Best Western Inn of Woodbury. The Service is very professional and all accommodations at hotel are great and definitively recommend this hotel to all for business or pleasure. I give this hotel 5 stars. The location is also good because there are plenty of good restaurants and other activities close to hotel that can be done along with close to all major parkways. This hotel is also great for hotel guests when it comes to wedding accommodations and plus they have a shuttle to the different catering halls in area for those special occasions .
I would definitely recommend, great location and price. Excellent service all around. Great pool, free breakfast and coffee all day. I left an item in my room, which was found promptly and being mailed.
