Best Western Hotel Torvehallerne, Vejle

When you travel for work you have to find good place where to stay and dont worry about elementary things, becouse you are working. Unfortunatly I had problems in my Casa Munda b&b which I booked for bussines trip and I moved out and just go to search new place for my staying. In early morning 7am I came to Best Western hotel and ask for help. I had no reservation, I didny sleep all night and I had to be ready for conference at 11 am. Reception staff Thomas was perfect, he understand my situation and after 15 minutes I was in my cosy, clean and perfect room having great shower, after 30 min I had best breakfast I can imagine and first good and tasty coffee in Danmark :) the bed was so comfortable that even 1,5 h of sleep make me feel perfect and be ready for my job. Next night also was perfect with comfortable bed and good sleep. Big thank to Thomas from reception and Best Western hotel for quick and great solution policy, for high standarts of hosting, accomondation and perfect cleanning, what I met there. Absolutely recomend this perfect high standarts flowing hotel. On last day of my stay I can organize my teams working sesion in hotels loby absolutely for free, what was great and we didnt need to search for place. Thank you team and Best western hotels will be on my trips number one :)

The location is great, nearby restaurants and shops. Rooms are not very nice and the bathroom is in great need of renovation. The room is very warm and you need to keep the window open and it is a lot of noise from the street.

The employees of the front desk were extremely unhelpful and unable to answer questions regarding a parking ticket. I received a parking ticket for being 10 minutes late to my car. I had paid for parking until 16:11 and the ticket occurred at 16:20. I arrived at my car at 16:30 to find a ticket, much to my surprise! It was for $125 US!!! WOW! The Best Western has contracted with the company called OnePark and the front desk employees do not know the anything about how to pay the tickets or to manage the problem. The hotel is average at best and I will never be coming back! No A/C, water all over the floor in the bathrooms from the shower, noisy area at night, difficult access, need I say more. Steer clear of this place as I think there are much better places to stay in Vejle!

Rooms were clean and nice. However did not honour my booking that included breakfast even though I checked with the lady upon check in. Was not informed until I was checking out and got slapped with a $100aud bill no communication from staff I wouldn't have opted for the breakfast if my booking didn't cover it.

The entrance to this hotel is a bit confusing. If you enter through Kirketorvet you have to pass through a couple of restaurants and bars. Following the signposts leads you to the reception, where it appears that the main entrance is somewhere on the other side of the buildings. Finally at the front desk, the check-in was efficient, and after some search we also found the room, which had plenty of space. Facilities were fine and minor flaws were fixed quickly. The wifi worked fine once you got the logon for it. The room had a little kettle for boiling water, and this and other facilities worked fine. The bathroom had a large bathtub. A shower would have been better, but that's personal preference. Sleeping quality was fine with large beds. The breakfast was served in the open space between the buildings, covered with glass windows. The selection was good and had smart facilities for coffee and other beverages. Check-out was also efficient and the staff was in general helpful.

First the positive... the hotel at one of the most attentive staffs I've ever seen is many years is I've been traveling. Everybody was so friendly from the time I checked in. I ate in just about every restaurant frequently. They had a great selection for breakfast. I would consider staying at the hotel again just because of the staff. I can't express how friendly the staff was. The bad side of the hotel... my bathroom smells like sewer everyday from the time I walked in. I ended up keeping the door closed, opening the window, and covering the shower drain to keep the smell from escaping to the main bedroom. The really bad side... First of all, I think being one of the few African Americans in the town made people curious. We got the occasional curious stare to the obviously racist get out of my country look which I have dealt with my entire life... These don't bother me and shows people are naturally curious about outsiders or flat out ignorant and don't represent the Danish populations a whole. However, on one occasion I encountered an obnoxiously drunk Dane. He went by the name of Jan, was a musician or something, and was a friend of either the owner or who appeared to be a manager of the property. It was 9AM and these guys were sloppy drunk. I was trying to eat my breakfast and minding my own business when Jan walked up and kept wanting hugs and babbling about nonsense. The owner/manager kept telling Jan to let's leave but Jan continued acting obnoxious to the point I decided to leave my breakfast. Jan tried to follow me to my room so I ran to avoid him knowing where I stayed. At this point I felt unsafe and embarrassed to pass through the dining area to leave the hotel. I used the rear door to avoid harrassment and any other confrontation. My point... If it wasn't for the staff, I would have nothing positive to write... I saw the owner /manager another time during my stay and he didn't acknowledge the incident or me as a person. No apologies nothing... I feel if I were white, I would not be posting this and if the incident happened he would have apologized. BTW, the staff knows who the manager/owner is and knows he can be a problem for guests. They told me he doesn't represent Denmark and is a bad representation of the Best Western franchise. My question is why is he still there? The lack of a simple acknowledgement of me as a person or apology makes me consider reporting the hotel management to Best Western franchise management.

Every time I have to be in Denmark for business purposes I stay at the Torvehallerne because it has everything a guest can want : good bed, breakfast, restaurant ( Bistecca ) and close to Vejle city center ( walking distance )

The reception staff is very friendly and very helpful. The room cleanliness is very good, as well as the general room conditions. Nevertheless the breakfast is lacking in diversity and general ingredients quality. Despite from this, the hotel is a solid good choice.

My second time here.... highly recommended. The staff are very attentive and the choice of restaurants and bars are well worth the stay. Really handy for the station and though the rooms are basic they are spotlessly clean and comfortable.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and this was a very good start for us in Denmark. The hotel rooms were super clean, breakfast was good and lots of varieties, and the staff was super friendly. Heads up to this hotel and their staff, it has been a long time that we enjoyed this much in a hotel.

I use this hotel for my business trips to Vejle. I like it here, nice and friendly staff and nice breakfast. The room are OK, but the floor squeaks. It might be a bit noisy from outside. No AC, but a fan is placed in the rooms. I had no problems sleeping during the hot summer nights. I have already book a new stay. If you have a car, you might find better hotels outside the city, but this one is perfect for me.

Perfectly located for Vejle station in a beautiful building. A fabulous dining space that feels like you're eating in a miniature Kew Gardens with more restaurants in the main building. A small but functional room, but no air conditioning on this warm August night...!

We had ha two night stay in July. 2 adults and 2 children in a Family room. The room vas quite big and "New". Our problem was that it was VERY hot, and noicy. It was located with windows towards the road and we had some really problems with sleeping. The breakfast was good.

The room is tidy and neat enough. Big enough for 2 although small for the price. We slept with the window open and had no problems with noise. No airco, but I guess that's no exception in Denmark... but we did have a fan. :) Beds were ok. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The sushibar was great. One point of concern: The bathroom wallmounted light is nearly IN the shower :/

My business trip to Vejle got me accommodation at Best Western. The hotel is medium sized yet the services are a class apart. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It has 3 different inhouse restaurants. The bar and common dining area are under a glass roof making the experience more lively. The food is great and caters to almost all sorts of taste buds. The staff is very friendly and supports your requests or queries in the best possible way. A perfect location - close to the market, a mall, a train station and a bus depot makes it THE place to stay in Vejle.

Nice hotel close to Legoland (30min). The room was big, 4 bed with extra space which is not that normal. Very good breakfast. Recomend to try the ecologic coffe instead of the machine. Three restaurants in the building which make it very easy to stay at the hotel after returning from Legoland.

Clean and comfortable rooms, close to the station and plenty of choice for food with three restaurants and a well stocked bar with all the usuals plus a wide range of Gins and Scotch Whisky. What really rated this hotel is the exceptional staff, from the moment we were met at reception, introduced to the hotels facilities through to the bar and restaurant staff, all who provided a consistently high level of service.

No AC on a hot day, but more importantly no WiFi. Not at all acceptable for a room at this price. Useless for a business trip and I would not recommend it for others either. I did manage to get some work done over the internet sharing from my IPhone, but for people with more restrictions on their roaming; stay somewhere else.

Dear Sigurd I am sorry that our services did not live up to your expectations. It is true that we do not have AC, but we do have fans in the room to help you cool down on hot days. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi had some glitches on this day and we reported it from the reception as soon as we heard. The error was found with the installation company and they fixed it right away. It has been a very frustrating day for everyone, as Wi-Fi are important for a hotel visit, especially for business trips. We have a 500/500 connection and it is up and running again, unfortunately errors do happen when you work with IT and I hope that with your understanding, it won't be the last time you visited our hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of Vejle in very beautiful building . The room we stayed was clean with good bed , lining , pillows and towels. Coffee and tea facilties in the room . But that is all positive. The rest could be better and can be improved. The breakfast is very average with very bad coffee. There are 2 different tipes of coffee, I tried both and it is just like brown colored water. No coffee taste or smell. Not at all . However the breakfast served in very beautiful and large room. The parking is expencive. The toilet has no airco so if you are 2 to shower expect that the steamy air will stay inside of your room and WC quite long. And the last but not least ( not the fault of the hotel) the room is very noisy due to it is located right in center of town near the church. The church bell is very active . You do not need alarm clock!

One night stay... didn´t eat but resturant looked very nice. Staff was very proffessional and deserves extra credit. Slight Point reduction for poor selection at breakfast. Defenately a good option if overnighting in Vejle

I have stayed in this hotel several times in the past months during my business trips. Location of the hotel is great , in the centre of the lovely town of Vejle. Receptionists are generally friendly and polite There are several things to improve , few of which really have spoiled my stays: - in one of my stay , i was assigned one of the room located on the side of the sushi bar. The bathroom in those room is really outdated, uncomfortable as there is no shelves where to place own stuff and worst the smell in the drains was unbearable! some days being worse than others - some nights music was very loud until late and i could hear it from my room. If you know there is there upcoming events/ party nights, you should consider placing your customers ( specially those who stay for longer period ) somewhere where one can sleep without having to wait the night party is over. - number of times i had to report to reception issues with hot water - issue with card reader; number of times I had to go downstairs as i could no longer access my room - personnel at the restaurant not very friendly; - in the room those big pillow placed on the bed as decoration , should remain on the bed and not some days placed on the floor and other days on the bed again. -towels should not be used to dry the floor if there are leaks. Hopefully, this feedback will help you to improve

Nice place in the town centre near the train station. I'm not sure it's a four star hotel as the mandatory fluffy towels and chic room standards are not there. Perhaps think along the lines of theft proof stainless steel dispensers on the wall and towels that are a bit thin. Service level is excellent with a first rate staff. Breakfast is served in a nice airy space and the food although not brilliant is good. Would stay on my next visit.

Very helpful staff, good restaurant, located 3 min walk from railway station and near shops. My room was clean and good bed but some refurb necessary eg. scarred desk, no power outlets at bed head, awkward bed lights

Because flights from England to Billund prevent a ‘day trip' I booked myself into The Best Western. What a lovely place to stay. Delightful Reception, very comfy bedroom, bar, breakfast area (superb breakfast) and sushi bar were delightful but the best of all was the restaurant where I think I had the best Lobster soup, best steak and liquorice tea (not all together) ever and a fine selection of wines and beers. I loved it!

The rooms are standard. Our room was of ok size with hardwood floor. The bed was very comfortable. The room we stayed in was on the first floor facing the church. It was quiet and we could not hear any of the other guests. Breakfast was good.

Normal standard rooms, clean and tidy with comfort expected. Depending on which room could be little noisy. Two good restaurants (Sushi and Steak) in house and a very untypical breakfast area. Your are placed in the ball room with a room height of the building and lot of glass - bringing a lot of light to the room.

Hotel is located right in the center of Vejle Just behind the cosy shopping street. There is a sushi bar & a steak house at the lower floor & the atmosphere is just amazing. Rooms are moderate and cleaning is Just ok. Breakfast is delicious with nice breakfast & pastries, cheeses, variety of jams. Can be recommended for business travellers.

The overall size of the business room, bathroom, bed comfortable. The location is also close to the station and convenience is good. Breakfast is good but individual quality is good but few items.

I thought Denmark was one of the countries in the world with no corruption, but someone at Best Western must be well connected, how else could this be rated 4 stars. Our room was worn down and very noisy. Breakfast was boring without a very good selection and bad quality. The eating area was boring and you had to get everything yourself (knives, napkins etc.) Design of bathroom was far from optimal. When using the toilet the shower curtain was in the way. ...oh, and it was expensive as well. Just find another hotel. Thete are much nicer and cheaper hotels in Vejle.

A few minutes walk from the train station and very close to the old town center. The signage of the hotel is not obvious and sometimes you will miss it. Recommend to have a sign on the main road. After check in, staff led you go through hotel restaurant and a Japanese restaurant to assess to your room. Breakfast is good.

I am just about to check-out after a basic but very good breakfast that followed a good sleep. Situated in nice surroundings I am ready for the day. The hotel is centrally located in the center of Vejle with lots of e.g., opportunities for shopping. My best recommendations to Best Western Vejle.

I stayed there for one night. Room was little. Rather cold inside. Internet working well. Good is that next to hotel (like 150 m) was a free of charge parking place (at the church). Service was friendly, Breakfast OK. Overall average.

Nice city hotel with a cool design of the room and restaurants. Hotel main areas and common areas is not as good as the room. But the venue seems to be servicing the local theater They have a gin bar with good selection and they have a Whisky bar and they dry age the beef them self and have dry age cabinets in the restaurant. Bed is comfortable. With good pillows bathroom is absolute one of the best I have seen in a midrange hotel. Close to the city streets and shopping. Veijle city is a nice slow city.

We stayed here one night when visiting family members in Jutland. The hotel is nice and clean, the rooms are a good size. We had dinner at the restaurant which was a disaster. We waited a very long time for the food, so long that the waiter offered us drinks two times. But that did not compensate for the very long wait and we were very tired when the food finally came to the table. I did not like my meat, it was very tough, but my family members had a better steak than I did. I would not have dinner here again. Breakfast was very good though.

The hotel was clean and basic. The family room was spacious enough to accommodate the two extra roll away beds that were set up by the staff prior to our arrival. The disadvantage is that the family room sits over the a walkway so we were a little self conscious with the windows open.

This is a strange hotel, the external signage is very poor making finding the underground parking a challenge. To get from the reception to the rooms you walk through a restaurant, a bar and a yo sushi - very bizarre. Then there are the rooms, youth hostel sheik. Wooden flooring that creaks with every movement, a wet room that hasn't been updated in 30+ years with a long waits for hot water and a tv that doesn't always show all the channels. I've stayed here twice in recent weeks, both times I've noticed the church bells at ten in the evening and seven in the morning. Thankfully the bells don't chime overnight so this was t a problem. The above may sound poor but I must confess I have rarely slept so well in a hotel. Vejle is not a town I have really explored but this hotel appears to be well located to get around and I will stay here in the future. Just be aware, this is a hotel with character.

I came here for business reasons and have been here before (some years ago). The staff are very friendly and helpful and the steaks in the restuarant are excellent. The rooms are small and stark though and things are starting to look dated and worn out. For example, the carpet in the stairs is threadbare and needs replacing. It would seem that they have spent a lot of money on the ground floor creating excellent restaurants and bars (the sushi place looks great but I don't eat fish) but they really need to update the rooms and add some Scandinavia flair to them!

Very easy to find and pleasant staff. Nice interior and good food selection. Room ok no air conditioning. A little noisy in the morning due to room location. Let's see how the rest of the hotel fairs.

30 minutes from the airport Billund you find Vejle. This hotel is perfectly located downtown Vejle at Torvhallerne,- which gives you a wide variety in terms of restaurants. Fairly big rooms compared to hotels in Copenhagen.

Nice boutique hotel in the center of town with easy parking in the garage below the hotel at DKK 80/day. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is average, but fine. It is nice to sit in the huge atrium and eat breakfast.

This is an average hotel nothing special to make me want to return. Rooms small, with old fashioned fixtures and fittings, bed very soft and uncomfortable. The only meal I ate there was breakfast which was uninspiring and little choice. (however they do have a couple of restaurants on site for dinner which looked good, but as I never tried them I cannot comment ) Service at the bar very slow and most times you had to go and find the staff member who was supposed to be working in that area. You have to pay for parking. This is not on my list of return to hotels unless it was for one night and there was nothing else available in the area.

It would be easier for me to give you some feedback if I knew which room you had while staying here. I hope you gave your comments to our receptionist upon checkout. Our breakfast has a variety of both hot and cold items, if we added more, then we would have to add that to the roomprice as well. All I can do is to tell you that I am sorry you did not find what you needed from our breakfast. You are always welcome to suggest improvements in the reception. The hotel itself is actually really nice. Spacious and with several restaurants and bars. Breakfast is ok. Do try the danish pastries! The room was nice, tidy and clean. Good size. Just a bit disappointed it was not as elegant as the rest of the hotel. I am not a fan of the two individual beds put together but that might be just me. The hotel is basically in town, a minute away from the main pedestrian area.

This hotel is right in the city center. It does not get any closer. However the good location cannot make up for the small room, old bathroom with a bad shower, the boring breakfast which is however included and the parking you have to pay for. Ok choice for one night stay.

A fascinating hotel full of character having previously been the printing works of the local newspaper for ver 100 years. Excellent facilities with a lovely airy bar/restaurant area centrally. It is very well-placed for exploring the rest of the city, but to be honest that doesn't take long as it is only quite small.

Fine hotel to stay before going to Legoland. Took the bus 43 from the airport for Just 60DK to the centre. Hotel has a nice bar serving Guinness and plenty of others. Restaurant is Japaneese style but after summer extra restaurant opening. Smoking only outside, but for full non smoking hotel Well accomodated. On every level smoking area . Also next to bar outside. Service good all over. Rooms are basic but ok.

This hotel is located a simple 25min drive from Billund legoland, and a perfect hotel in a cute village. Nice and clean, with a good family breakfast. If in the mood for Gin&tonic, i can imagine that the Gin bar can satisfy all your cravings. In conjunction to the hotel there is a BarSushi restaurant, very family friendly.

I have stayed at Torvehallerne a few times now. I come here on business. Have a choice of several other hotels, but always choose Torvehallerne. The service is excellent, the rooms are big, the beds are great, the bathrooms (some of them have nice, big bathtubs) are extremely nice.

Been in Vejle for business, stayed in Best western for 3 nights. Very fast, helpful, and efficient staff, quick check in and out. Nice breakfast. Nice spacious rooms, very clean and new.This is perfect choice.

I was booked into this hotel by my head office in Denmark. I had looked at photos on the net and it looked OK when I arrived, the reception and atrium area with restaurant and sushi bar was quite impressive. However, when I got to my room, I was very disappointed. To say it was minimalist is an understatement, there were 2 single duvets on a (barely) double bed, very strange and it didn't look as if the bed was made at all. I only stayed 2 nights but was woken up at 5.30 am both mornings by bin Lorries right outside my window, not good. The breakfast was average, nice bread, but no toast at all, and cold plates, so any hot food got cold very quickly. All in all, how it's rated as a four star is beyond me, must be the 'facilities' I wouldn't rush back to stay there again

This is our smallest roomtype, which normally is sold to one person, but it is possible to stay two people if you want to save some money on the room - That is the reason for two duvets on the bed. I am sorry to hear that the bed looked as if it was not made at all, this is something I will discuss with our staff from housekeeping. We are aware of the bin Lorries, but they will not change their schedule. This is unfortunately something we have to live with being a city hotel. Good Hotel environment close to trafikcenter, then, it comes with a great sushi bar and restaurant/lounge. Room was adequate and with a view to the plaza. hotel staff was helpful all time, room was clean and comfortable be. internet worked fine.

Everything was good..in a nice place..renewed.etc.. The only but was the bed..big but.. There were 2 beds together and the matras was extremly soft..so i didn t sleep very well. The inside restaurants are quite good

I was in Vejle on business and this hotel looked to be ok for the 2 days I was to be there, Located in the centre next to train and bus stations and next to the main high street, the position is first class. room was fine very clean, staff were helpful, breakfast was a little underwhelming but again fine. in summery, a nice hotel centrally located and good for a short stay, I'll use it again.

location is good,close to center. it is an old hotel.i liked the restaurant area but it was always empty! Sushi bar is good. rooms are OK except bathroom, i could not find any place the put the shampoo and other stuff,this is what i did not like at all. i used to get slippers from the hotel so i did nor bring my own but they dont give it so you have to walk on naked feet which is not hygenic.

Hotel was probably better than average for European hotels. Room was slightly larger than average in Europe. Bed was normal small European bed. Internet access was terrible. It dropped out every 2-5 minutes, and often took 2 minutes to re-connect. Since this was a business trip, the nearly useless internet connection was a serious problem.

Decided to stay in Vejle only in order to be close to Legoland, but expected nothing much of it. Well, I was proven wrong. Vejle and Torvehallerne proved to be the best stop while travelling around Denmark. Torvehallerne is just a few steps away from the central railway and bus station so you save yourself from taking a taxi to and from. The architecture of the hotel itself is fascinating but I won't reveal its secret here. Ask the receptionists to tell you about the history of the building when you get there. Talking of the receptionists of Torvehallerne, I am sure all of them must be very nice people, but Kristen was definitely my favourite, I bombarded her with so many questions and she never got tired of me, thanks Kristen. As for the room, well, it was kind of smallish but the beds and pillows were ultra soft so I slept like a baby. The breakfast, oh, the breakfast! Caters for all tastes. Infinite variety. The sushi bar inside the hotel is also excellent. What else could I ask for?

Good location in tge center. Nice room also for 3 persons. Soft beds but windows could be opened. Nice basic deco in room with minibar and hot water maker. Breakfast is okay. Staff is Danish style not over friendly but straight.

The Best Western in Vejle is a good alternative to the hotels in Billund, where LEGOLAND is. By car it is about 30 minutes, and by bus 45 minutes. Unlike Billund, Vejle is an actual town with shopping streets, restaurants and coffee shops. Something you won't find in Billund. I found this hotel to be value for money. It is relatively inexpensive and my room was clean and comfortable. WiFi is for free, but not always working. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff friendly. Don't expect any finer details here, but I will stay there again.

Stayed there one night. We were two adults and a baby. First we got a tiny room which we asked to change because there was no place to put baby's traveling cot. Second room was jut big enough for us three. Squeaky floors and bed are a definite minus. Shower very basic, shower curtain too little... All in all. Ok for one night, but not more.

This was booked as part of a LegoLand package, but this hotel needs a revamp, the rooms etc are really old, with old and stained furniture etc. The first room we go was 102, this seems to be in an adjacent building as there is a strange stair well area where you need to go through doors and up stairs etc. The carpets on first floor look terrible, not sure what happened but does not look clean. Well the one bed in room 102 was so noisy that every time I turned in bed it woke me. The reception very kindly offered a new room for the remainder of our stay. This was better located, Breakfast was ok, except that on the second day I found a big dirty 'mass' on the bottom of the plate that I picked up, clearly was not washed properly. The breakfast area floor was also extremely dirty, coffee spills etc, but in the 3 days we ate there we did not see any improvement. The Staff was generally very friendly and helpful, but I would not class this as a 3 star hotel, and the associated price.
