Refborg Hotel Billund, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

I stayed for a visit to the Lego house and it's in a perfect location for it, only being less than a 10 minute walk. The room was very spacious with plenty of storage. Nice bathroom. Very clean throughout. Breakfast was tasty. The only downside was the spiral staircase but I managed. There may have been a lift but I didn't see one. As a solo female I felt very safe. Would definitely stay again.

From the first moment we arrived, the staff was unbelievably friendly, welcoming, and one of the highlights of our trip. The rooms were tidy and having the shampoo, lotion, facial tissues, etc. etc meant we knew we didn't have to over pack our bags. Tea and coffee in the room was a nice surprise too. And the breakfast, while not enormous, had everything needed to keep the whole family happy. The attached shop where we could find unique drinks and snacks was a nice touch too. We loved staying here, it was nice seeing a truly Danish styled hotel and not some international hotel where every place no matter the country looks exactly the same. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back if we come to Legoland again in the futre!

Location: very close to Lego House (5 minute walk). Very accessible from the airport, a bus stop is 7 minute walk. (We paid about £3 each way on the bus to and from the airport - cash only). Whereas a taxi would have cost around £22. Lovely town, although most shops close early (some around 2pm) and a lot open quite late too. Rooms: very clean and had everything you would need. We had a lounge, desk and big bathroom. The corridors were unique, areas for children to play too. It felt very cozy and homely! Breakfast: See images! Small breakfast selection but everything was fresh and tasted great. There was fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, bacon, eggs, cheese, ham, fresh pastries, tea, coffee, juice. Simple but enough options for a breakfast. It was very quiet, we were the first ones there which we preferred! 😂 Staff: Very friendly! The front desk closed from about 5pm-6:30am so if needing to check in within these times, I believe you would need to ring a number. Overall I was very happy with my stay, we paid a cheap price, had breakfast included and a clean room. There is a supermarket next door which makes getting snacks and drinks very easy, there was taxi numbers to ring if needed.

In no way does this hotel meet the descriptions posted online.We expected a cosy, traditional Danish hotel. It was awful. On arrival we were brought through a dingy corridor and hall to a cold, bare room. It was grim. The mattress on the bed was approx 5cm thick. Closer to a budget hostel than a hotel. We told the receptionist of our concerns but there was no effort made to change our room. We left and were still charged. The rooms are misrepresented in the photos online.

We visited for a trip to Lego House - Refborg hotel was conveniently located and served our needs for the weekend. The room was spacious with a separate bedroom, lounge area and bathroom, and there were a good range of facilities on each floor with microwaves, TVs and seating areas with kids toys and games etc for relaxing if you were part of a bigger group. The breakfast buffet was good, with a range of options including cereals, continental options with breads, meats and cheeses, fruit and yoghurt, as well as hot options each morning. Our one complaint as classic Brits was the lack of English Breakfast Tea as an option...but it just encouraged us to be a bit more adventurous with our tea selections!

Nice but basic rooms; window blinds could be better and the windows given that it's close to a road. Hotel was clean and fairly modern, with a handy supermarket next door. Nice continental breakfast offering but selection would get boring after a couple of days. Staff were generally helpful. About 20 min walk from Legoland.

The friendliest people. Very helpful answering our questions & making transportation arrangements for us. Our rooms were ready when we arrived many hours before standard check-in. They gave us ground-floor rooms, so I wouldnt have to climb stairs. Comfortable bed with fluffy pillows. Free buffet breakfast. Free cookies at the reception desk. Nice hot water in the shower. Grocery store next door. Only one block walk to Lego House, bakery, restaurants, & cafés.

Room was horrible,bathroom was gross.Breakfast non existent,should have taken a picture of a very small,limited offer.Basically,coffee,gone off milk,2 very hard rolls,cereals,1 disgusting smelly cheese,yogurt in 1 dish,only few slices of some horrible ham,scrambled eggs,nothing else.Breakfast was between 7.30-10.30am.We came down to breakfast after 9am! Horrible.Decided to get something to eat down the road!

Nice and clean family room. Traveled 2 adults and 1 child. Stayed in a spacious family room with one bedroom and living room with sleeping coach. As we had booked the same day, they had not had time to make the couch/bed yet, but the receptionist came with sheets and towels and was helpful. Only 5 minutes to drive from the hotel to Legoland. Legohouse is only few hundred metres away. The food in the restaurant is very well rated, although we did not have time to test the food. Nice soap and shampoo in the bathroom and nice and scandinavian inspired wooden furniture in the room/bathroom in general. A nice place to stay, although a bit expensive (3000 NOK per night). Compared to the hotels inside/at Legoland it was cheap…. free parking outside the hotel. No elevator.
