We booked a room for the night we flew back after staying there the night before our trip and left our car there. When we arrived ( late Friday night) we were told our credit card had been declined and the reservation was cancelled. There was another women with children there also told that her credit card was declined. And she had driven 5 hours and her reservation was made months before. We both had confirmation Emails confirming the reservation. Had no rooms available so we drove home 3 hours and we are in our 70s and don't drive at night. The men behind the counter did not care. Just told us that the card was declined and they could do nothing. Called the credit card company this morning and they have no record of them trying to get payment. It appears that Best Western Inn at Rochester Airport may have sold the room at a higher rate than our reservation that was made 3 months prior. We will NEVER stay at a Best Western again! And will tell everyone our story
I had an early flight from Rochester and needed to find a hotel the night before. The Best Western is literally across the street, and the price is so reasonable . The staff were very courteous, extremely helpful and great at their jobs. The room and bed were clean and comfortable with all the amenities I needed. They offer shuttle service, wonderful breakfast, and even let you park your car on their premises until you return at an affordable rate (so convenient) I would definitely stay there again and if I could give it 10 stars instead of 5, I would and just did. I want to thank the staff at this Best Western for the personal attention I received from them when I really needed it. !!!!!!
This is a decent motel very close to the airport. The shuttle service was quick and dependable. While the room was small it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is provided, although it is standard motel food and health-conscious eaters have few choices. This is a good place to stay if arriving late or leaving early from the airport.
I stayed for a few nights this week while working in the area. The front desk staff were friendly and caring. I would definitely stay here again. The shuttle service to the airport was very convenient, arriving right on time in 5 minutes when I called from the airport.
Very convenient location. Plenty of parking. Check in was smooth, very polite front desk. I would recommend for an airport stay for early or late flight. Free shuttle Fridge in room Microwave in common area. Room was clean enough. Bed was fine. I would stay here again for an early morning flight
I rented a UHaul to move my cousin from Myrtle Beach to the Rochester area. The UHaul return site was two blocks from this hotel, and Rochester Airport (ROC) is right across the street. The hotel seems a lttle old but was clean and safe. Breakfast was ok with few selections but enough to get you fueled up. Free shuttle to the airport was very appealing to me. Staff was Excellent and did everything to make my stay a good one.
Nothing fancy, could use updating to get rid of damp smelly carpet. If you are just sleeping there and get a cheap rate it is conveniently located right across from airport with a free shuttle and breakfast with ample parking. Breakfast was okay, mix of hot and cold food options. Toilet was running in room called front desk no answer ended up fixing myself.
Excellnet final night of vacation stay was given suite and extra room comfort was nice. Breakfast very good even though end of open hours. Quiet for airport hotel. Internet was weak however called front desk and he rebooted system and worked much better,
Amazing staff and rooms were super clean 24/7 shuttle service right across the airport decent breakfast
When ever I'm in Rochester NY. I stay here. It is the best value in the city. The staff is attentive and friendly, the room is always clean and comfortable.
The front desk attendants were very kind. I paid ten dollars a day for parking after I flew out and shuttle service was available upon my return. There was no soap in shower or at sink. Bed was clean and a/c worked great. The locks on the door need to be updated. I slept with a chair in front of the door to feel better. I slept well. Outlet behind night stand was laying in floor. It would be nice if they charging ports in the room. Overall I slept well and left early. They picked me up ten minutes after I returned and my car was safe. Thank you
The Inn is an older motel. Room was clean, bathroom small Lobby/breakfast area cramped, not inviting, but serving it's purpose. The breakfast was american offering prefixed omelettes with good salsa, bread, waffels apples, bananas. Coffee was good. Hotel is situated directly opposite the airport terminal. They offer a 24h shuttle service, but it is although psbl. to walk to the hotel. There is a Taco restaurant close by, but nothing else.
Great location, amazing staff. Under renovation so some rooms are good, others are really crappy. Food was standard hotel, nothing special
Our family stayed at Best Western. This is our third return to the property . And we enjoyed our stay.
The staff is polite and friendly. They answered all my questions. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Check-in was fast and efficient. I was upgraded to a suite. It was a clean room and everything worked as it should. You can hear some airplanes but they are infrequent and I didn't hear any after about 9pm. My flight was too early so i didn't have breakfast, but the shuttle service was good.
The floor in my room had not been vacuumed and I found a pair of dirty underwear in one of the drawers for the previous customer. The bathroom was clean but the faucets had a film on them from the cleaning products. Once I returned from my trip, they picked me up at the airport but did not get out to help me with my bags and didn't do so once we returned to the hotel. This hotel is very close to the airport but I will not stay there again.
I reserved two nights but canceled one because of flight delay. Eventually I stayed for only one night, but was still charged for two. The manager refused to refund and even said " you can report to BBB as you want...." . I can't believe such business still exist, even in NY.
The staff was fine and the room was clean but the building is deplorable. Very little water pressure and tepid water.smelled heavily of cleaning products. Building wasn't secured at night (faulty room key pad). Not sure how it got ratings of 8+ on various sites. It needs serious structural refurbishing. Not worth it.
I would never, ever recommend staying at this hotel. We selected this place because if it's proximity to the airport, the fact they had a shuttle to take us over for an early morning flight, that we could leave our car there while we away for a nominal fee and that, with just a phone call, the shuttle would pick us up when we arrived back. Sounds good, right? The problem is NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!!! After multiple attempts to contact them, we ended up taking a taxi to the hotel (9pm, snowy and cold) to the tune of $12.50 to pick up our vehicle. The taxi driver said that happens a lot, once they have your money for parking, they don't care.
Mixed reviews, so wasn't sure what to expect. From the shuttle driver to desk clerk to breakfast attendant, we were more than satisfied with service. We arrived very late at night and still received excellent help along with good humor.
Our second stay at this hotel, both multinight stays during Jazz and Fringe Festivals. Events only a twenty minute drive. Very satisfied both times. Quiet, clean, very helpful staff. Two minor issues that were dealt with quickly and cheerfully. Wish that the breakfast hours extended beyond 9:00am, at least on weekends that would help.
The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. The beds were firm and comfortable. Would stay here again. I only wish they had an EV charger there, but there are several quick charging stations near the area.
Pictures do not reveal the true condition of the hotel. The carpet filth throughout the building is shocking. Furniture is shoddy. Staff is OK, probably just coping with the buildings' poor interior condition. Airport close though, seriously, located under the flight path at the end of the primary runway... amazing. This could be the lead property for, how does one say, "Worst Western"!
This place is a nightmare! Stained chairs in room. Outlets are all loose and will barely hold a plug. Cheap fixes that looked like a child did the work. The breakfast selection was very limited and eggs seemed weird.
This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Please do not stay here. There was a dirty towel left in the bathroom, there were stains on the ceilings and everything was old and/or in need of repair. It did not feel safe. The front desk person was very nice when we checked out though. He offered us a ride to the airport when he heard me talking about an Uber. I appreciated that very much.
The shower was cold, tv had constant lines running through it, microwave on the 2nd floor lobby had dried spaghetti sauce in it and hadn't been cleaned recently, breakfast no longer is served early to accommodate the early departing flight guests. When asked they said I could have a fruit and cookie. Not acceptable!
This exceeded my expectations. Friendly and helpful staff picked me up at airport at 0300(rain delayed flight). My bed was moderately firm but had soft layer, pillows were soft and comfortable.room air-conditioning was great and east to adjust. Breakfast was pleasing but somewhat small number of choices.but had nice sausage, eggs and waffles. Very convenient to airport. Decor somewhat dated. Overall pleasant stay.
They are remodeling this hotel right now. Our room had been redone and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, lots of choices and the food was hot. You could not beat the price and was a wonderful deal.
I didn't want to put this on public site but contacted corporate and received no follow up. Found food left in refrigerator, smoke detector was covered with plastic bag and penis shaped item stuck on lamp. It was late and had early flight or would have left. Stayed here 7 years ago and it was much nicer.Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly.
We stayed here for one night during the PGA championship and paid over $400 Canadian for one night which was absolutely ridiculous. The room was tiny and very very dated. The bed was very old and lumpy. There was no water to be found and we had to leave before breakfast which was already cold after they just brewed it. You could also hear the planes throughout the night (yes I get that it is by the airport and I didn't particularly care but if you are not prepared for it, it could be a surprise Very disappointed
I was charged twice 1 from hotel and 1 from TripAdvisor it's happening before I wish they would just charge me. It came out of my account before I checked in and then they do it this time it was two different amount. When say something everyone say no it only comes out once.
The Management Increasing rate, need a better front desk person, The only good thing was Francisco the shuttle driver he was the nicest person I ever met, if you stay on weekend ask for Him, Hope on my next month stay its better thanks, I like the new ligths along the halls too
Great stay. Rested easy. Very clean rooms and comfy beds. The housekeepers were always helpful and attentive to my needs. Very quiet hotel. I will definitely choose this hotel again if ever I am back in the rochester area!
This was my first stay at a Best Western in my years of traveling. It's always been one of those hotel chains that's simply existed in the background for me, and it doesn't help that I've already chosen the hotel rewards programs that I'm loyal to. But a combination of circumstances including a 6:00AM flight out of ROC airport resulted in me spending a night here, not on my dime. Location and a 24 hour shuttle service were ultimately the deciding factors. This particular location is directly across from the airport, and has been around since the 1980's, mostly under a different brand. There's a restaurant within walking distance that unfortunately was closed the evening of my visit (if anyone remembers the old Westgate Family Restaurant on Howard Road, this is their current restaurant venture.) Besides that, a number of Rochester's locally owned pizza places will also deliver here, just keep in mind that most don't have late night hours. My room was 200, a king bed unit. The room itself was smaller than usual (think the size of a Hilton TRU room, but thankfully without that brand's weird hipster vibes.) This involved some creativity in fitting everything into the room (the desk did double duty as a second nightstand, for example), but the room did have most expected amenities, with the exception of a microwave. The room was clean with some wear and tear on the furniture (as you'd expect in a heavily used airport hotel.) The room was suitable for a night, but if you're staying here any longer than that, you might want to look into a room with two beds or a suite just to give yourself more space to stretch out. Since this was a quick stay to catch an early flight, I didn't have time to explore or use the hotel's other amenities (in particular I departed before breakfast service started.) The two staffers in the evening were pleasant and helpful; the older man working at 4 AM seemed a bit impatient (he did double duty as the shuttle van driver.) Would I stay here again? Probably, if I had another early morning flight out of the Rochester airport. The selection of hotels in close proximity to the airport is very limited and this is the nicest one of the bunch. If I had an afternoon flight, however, I'd elect to stay in Henrietta with a hotel where I do have reward status. All in all, the Best Western Rochester Airport is a perfectly fine airport hotel that provides what you need an airport hotel to provide - a clean, comfortable space to rest up for a few hours before a flight, as well as a shuttle that runs around the clock.
Great deal for travel convenience - the hotel has its own shuttle van to the airport, and allows vehicle parking for the duration of the travel time. Arranging pickup from the airport was quick and easy. The room I stayed in was clean and tidy. I would definitely stay there again for future business travel.
This is a standard Best Western. A bit smaller than expected, but perfectly located near the airport. A 24 hour shuttle was appreciated as we left at 5 am to the airport. Free parking. was another. plus. Just a general warning to. Best Western members, check your profile carefully. Mine did not reset and booked 2 rooms instead of just 1. Front desk staff fixed the issue immediately!
We visit Rochester frequently, usually staying--to save $$--in the suburbs like Henrietta or Greece. The good reviews for this Best Western suggested we give it a try. If you can suck up the dreary airport surroundings--and after all, you're only here to sleep--this place totally lived up to the positive reviews. Every staff exchange was positive, one chap even offered to come to our room to help this techdumby deal with the radio/alarm. At checkin, we were alerted to the fact that there might be aircraft noise but this was never a problem for us. "Greater Rochester International" is not O'Hare. Room was spotless, as was the entire older but wellmaintained building. As other reviewers have mentioned, the breakfast is well above what is normally offered at this price level, and we found seating each morning of our stay. It's easy to get into downtown from here, even if your avoid the expressways.
Excellent stay,,visiting my son there in Rochester. The room was very comfortable. clean and quiet. The internet and television ch selection was great. The hot breakfast was very good, with egg omelets, bacon, sausage, fruits, waffles, oatmeal, cold cereals, bagel and cream cheese, and very good coffee ☕️
Shuttle available at any time when required. Flight in delayed 3 hours arriving at 3am. Shuttle needed to return to airport a month later was 3:30am. Not a problem for the hotel. The shuttle was the main reason for my stay.
No problems....what more is needed to be said. Why are a minimum of 200 words needed? Brevity and accuracy are paramount, anything else is meaningless filler. Take the compliment and move on. This is why I rarely answer surveys, and am sorry I bothered with this
Was there with a group of women for a conference in Rochester and we had such a wonderful time. The staff was great. Room clean. Close to the airport. Close to the expressway. Close to the main artery to take you to downtown. I originally reserved online but the hotel clerk helped me and told me how to modify my reservation easily.
We stayed one night and not sure if we would stay again. Check in was friendly. We reserved a king room. Room and bathroom were pretty small. There was a small desk to the side of the bed, and small sitting chair. No Microwave but there was a mini fridge. TV was newer and had a good channel selection. Picture was good and no stretching. Free Breakfast was good. They had cooked scrambled eggs and bacon while we were there.
Rochester was basically a hub for our few days in upstate New York as are entry point. Best Westerns are typically our “go-to” lodging choice because they are a good value. This Best Western suited our needs well. It's an older hotel and it shows, but everything was clean, functioned well, and provided everything we needed for our brief stay. The room was quiet and comfortable (apart from the occasional loud plane landing or taking off, but it's an airport hotel so you have to expect that). Their shuttle service is extremely handy and arrives at the airport for pick up within minutes, and they take you back whenever you need it. The staff is very helpful and friendly even though they are clearly understaffed. The desk clerk was also serving the breakfast and driving the shuttle. But they got it all done quickly and efficiently. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The shuttle van has clearly seen better days, but it got us there! The breakfast is the standard freebie breakfast, but it was certainly more than the continental breakfast usually offered. There were eggs and sausage, not that great but typical of what you'll normally find is such a situation. The only real negative is that there is only one place to eat in the vicinity. If that restaurant (a one or two minute walk) is closed, you're stuck with getting food delivered, but the front desk has menus, but the choices are quite limited.
This was the best hotel in Rochester that I have come across. I have stayed at 3 other ones in the last month and they were terrible. I didn't have a problem at all. I had a reservation for 4 days at the Quality Inn and the fools canceled 3days when I left for work. They claim I needed to pay for more days when I had proof that I paid for the 4.
This best western location exceeded my expectations! We were on a long road trip to Rochester and the front desk staff were nice enough to hold our room for check in until nearly 1 am. When we arrived, the staff were all friendly and helpful! We got into the room and it was very clean with nice amenities and a comfortable, clean bed! Although our stay was short, we woke well rested and ready to go! I would recommend to anyone on a budget looking for a nice, clean stay!
This hotel was very clean and comfortable, and super close to the airport. And I very much appreciated the fact that they had an airport shuttle, but It was the outstanding customer service that wowed me. I had asked for a quiet room and the night clerk made sure that I got exactly that. I slept like a baby! Plus, my daughter had to make a change on her reservation, and the night clerk not only resolved her issue efficiently but also to her complete satisfaction. He could've given us a very hard time about it. We were very impressed because we don't often see that level of customer service. The night clerk was determined to see us satisfied. I just wish I could remember his name.
The front desk clerk on duty when we checked in and left was not friendly, and we did not feel we could ask for any help or assistance. The room was fine. There was a light outside our (2nd floor) room that was disturbing, and there was noise from the airport. If/when we go back to Rochester, we would be unlikely to stay at this hotel.
This motel was perfect. The staff were very professional and friendly. My room was recently remodeled and was clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable. AC worked well. Plenty of restaurants in the area. I can't report on the breakfast due to my early departure time. The service ride to the airport was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend this motel.
Facility is dated and run down but clean and reasonably comfortable. The staff will pick you up and drop you off at the airport very rapidly, making for a very simple and convenient experience. I got stranded by Delta and placed on a 5:45am flight, so the ability to turn in rental car, get picked up (extremely quick pickup), and get some rest basically directly across the street was great. As airport-adjacent motels go, it was a little above middle of road, but the staff make all the difference - very nice, very quick. However, if you're looking for comfort for your dollar, this is not it. I had the extreme misfortune of booking during prom, so I had a bed, but not much by way of sleep as a result of yelling girls.
Cal and his wife Dimple make sure you have a relaxed overnight stay with complimentary breakfast, and assist you with any questions that you have, and go out of their way for you! I have left my car at at this established motel, for over the last 15 years, and go on my trip to Mexico!
The breakfast was a Jimmy Dean microwave and bagel microwave sandwich. Also pancakes. The heater became cooler during the day, but warmer at night. The heater made a noise at night. Beds never were changed. We stayed 5 days and the trash was emptied 1 time. That was after we were told they could not empty the trash. We've stayed other places and they have said place the bid by the door. The room was clean with some spider webs in corners. Wish the bathroom counter was larger.
We have stayed a total of 4 nights at this hotel, 2 each vacation for shuttle to the airport. I wrote a review previously about this hotel, but wanted to update it from our stay 5 years ago. This trip our check in was fantastic. We arrived early, and after just a very short wait a gentleman checked us in easily. The room was fine, and the man checking us in was very kind and helpful. We saw huge planes flying over our room from the even side of the hotel! The next morning our 4AM shuttle was super seamless, and the driver was great! Coming home was when we had issues. Our flight was scheduled for arrival at 11:10 PM...but as most flights are these days we arrived late. We called about 11:55 PM for a shuttle back-and got a busy signal. We tried to call for 10 minutes, and ended up getting an Uber from the airport (half mile from the hotel). When we arrived we spoke to the young lady, who assured us her phone was working perfectly-and had us call to confirm. Using the same # I had used previously, it did in fact ring. She had a choice at that time of how to approach our problem, and she chose to say that her phone was fine, and she could not do anything about our Uber cost ($18.00). Admittedly-we were very tired and grouchy from traveling all day-but we were not rude to her at all-she took the defensive. We just got our keys and checked in. The next morning we saw the man who had checked us in, and we told him our story and showed him our Uber receipt. He was very kind, and did remove the Uber cost from our bill-and we certainly appreciated his kindness and understanding. The hotel is still stuck in pandemic mode here. Masks are required (not a problem at all), and breakfast is now "to go" back to your room. Personally, I feel guests eating in their rooms is more of a problem with the potential of ants from food in the rooms. We have had breakfast here before-they do have plenty of seating space, but all the chairs are up-and the room is not being used at this time. We might stay again if we flew out of Rochester, as the nearness to the airport is amazing, and we have had 3/4 great experiences with the shuttle.
The exterior of this hotel is fine, but does not reflect the quality of the interiors and amenities included! This is my third time to stay here, and the quality and customer service remain of highest quality. Quick mention to Kalpesh Patel, the General Manager, who took care of everything I needed today...check a bag at the front desk so I didn't have to lug it to my room, provide complete information regarding the airport shuttle, coffee and breakfast service and more! I use the "Park, Stay and Fly" room rate as I can park here when I travel for $3-$4/night (based on a one-night stay at the hotel. And the rooms have all had a great, recent renovation. My room is a suite and has more room than I could ever use for an over-night airport stay, but I sure do enjoy the mini-frig and in-room coffee service. Highly recommend!!!
The staff here were great, but our room raised a safety and cleanliness concern. The smoke detector was missing and the desk chair was very worn; looked like it came from the landfill. The breakfast room seating was completely closed and we had to eat in our room. The breakfast room is a large area and could have allowed for social distancing. The shuttle to the airport was convenient, but the van has seen better days. Driver was also the desk clerk and was friendly and efficient. Next time I will have to check the area for a different hotel. I had stayed here many times before.
Terrific location, friendly & helpful staff, beautiful room, and airport access/shuttle is super! I took advantage of the stay, park, fly package and was very happy with the cost. The shuttle is very quick door to door and I just need to call as soon as I land to get picked up. Great Best Western choice and will definitely be staying again!
I made a reservation very late due to first flight being cancelled and unsure if second flight would leave 6 hours later. Once on the plane, I made the reservation quickly and arrived at the airport in Rochester at midnight. Shuttle came very quickly and I was in my room at the hotel in about 20 min. from leaving baggage claim door. Nice service! The hotel is older but rooms and beds are comfortable. The breakfast is very limited due to Covid but it was okay for a snack before heading out.
United gave me a voucher to stay at this hotel. The room was extremely cold. The heat was off even though it was 9 F outside. I called the front desk and was told to give it time. It was already 9 pm and the room was very cold. I had to wear my winter coat, hat, sweater over my pajamas and double socks. Another thing I noticed was that the curtains were ripped and dirty. The entrance door was also damaged. Also their bagels had green mold and the breakfast selections are not that great. I will not stay at this hotel in the future. If you need a hotel near the airport stay with the Fairfield, it is similar price and the rooms and staff are 100 % better.
We use this hotel every time we fly out of Rochester, the upgraded rooms are very nice worth the extra money. The staff has always been very good. The free shuttle service was excellent, the driver got us there with time too spare, no stress.
We always stay at this hotel when we come to the area. There might be one closer to what we are doing but my family always stays here. The people are all so friendly and helpful no matter what time it is….day or night! I would not stay anywhere else.
It's very convenient when flying in or out of Rochester airport. There is no place outdoors around the hotel where you might sit if you want to be outside. Also, you may have trouble reaching the front desk if they're gone to shuttle to or from the airport or if you're calling for a shuttle from the airport and they're already gone to the airport you probably won't get an answer to your call until they return. The front desk people were friendly. The restroom in the lobby was still out of order when we returned to the hotel over a week later than our first stay. The best thing about the hotel is that it is convenient if you just need a place to sleep before or after your flight.
Had a roach crawling in the bed, told manager he did nothing! No compensation for horrible stay.. Insulted me instead. Staff was unprofessional! One staff charged me $5 for a $1 mask which is free everywhere else literally! Was very unorganized.
At the airport but we didn't hear planes during the night. It was spacious and clean. The manager and Angelica were friendly and helpful. There were enough outlets on lamp bases. Luckily we had $40 in gift cards since rooms on Friday were $190.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and nice. However, for a Best Western Plus, it needs an update/makeover. For the price and Best Western name, I expected a nicer look. It looked very clean, just old.
Excellent price I paid for a clean and good room. Great amenities provided in the room/bathroom and a nice comfortable bed. The rooms are updated. The location is o.k. since Rochester ain't that big and an easy drive to the city's main attractions. The parking lot is well lit providing added security. Not a complaint but something I wouldn't brag about was the basic breakfast they provided. Since, it's the pandemic, they have scaled down their breakfast service so much compared to other hotels. Overall, this hotel is truly of good value.
This is the best place to stay if you are flying out of the Rochester airport. We book the park, stay, and fly option. The rooms are very nice, The shuttle ride is fast and goes when you need it. We often fly out at 6am so we are on the shuttle at 4:30am, so we miss breakfast which starts at 6am, but when we have a later flight the breakfasts have been good, with much the same as other hotels. I will continue to stay here every time we fly.
I had a very early flight out of the Rochester airport and with bad weather coming in, I felt most comfortable staying close to the airport and taking a shuttle in the morning. I chose the Best Western as it was the closest affordable hotel. The woman that checked me in was fast, kind and very health conscious ( wore her mask over her mouth and nose, used hand-sanitizer before and after our interaction.) The room was very clean and spacious. The only thing I could think to be less than thrilled about was the internet speed ( I'd rate it 7/10) and that because of Covid regulations they weren't able to serve breakfast. However, Uber Eats and Doordash did deliver.
The service , value, and experience at this Best Western was outstanding. I stayed there because I was utilizing the Rochester Airport shuttle and parking for my Florida trip. The lady at front desk was outstanding ‘ She made sure everything went smoothly for my wake up call and 430 am shuttle to the airport. The room was a suite , which I was not expecting. It was well maintained and comfortable. The price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this Best Western whenever traveling through Rochester and especially if you are flying out of the Rochester airport.
We were looking for an economical hotel but didn't want to pay in the middle of the city hotel prices. This hotel is perfectly located if you need to be right next to the airport. The staff was helpful and nice and the room was comfortable and basic for an airport hotel. The only drawback was if we wanted good coffee or to hang out in a hip area this wasn't it and that was the inconvenience part of it.
Main thing is the door was broken. When I got my room the door was open and I had to remind myself to physically push hard enough for it to close. There was a suspicious white crusty stain on the bed skirt, and suspicious brown stains above the toilet paper dispenser. Because it's in the middle of nowhere it was hard to get food delivered. It is very close to the airport and there's a restaurant with decent breakfast right next to it but it was pretty bad considering the price.
We stay here every time we have an early morning flight. Clean quiet rooms and friendly staff. Short shuttle ride to the airport. Breakfast available starting at 4 am for early travelers. We leave our car and have never had any problems.
Nice hotel for park and fly. Clean rooms, nice staff and very convenient. Great value for the money. I would recommend when an early morning flight and parking are required. Staff are nice and hotel is clean.
Not expensive, conveniently located, and a friendly staff. No place close by to eat, it seems, and you should only use the computers in the lobby if you are nostalgic for dial-up. If you require stylish luxury, go elsewhere, but if you're okay with paying a reasonable price for a comfortable room that was last redecorated in the disco era, this is a fine place. (Also, there are airplanes, but it is after all located at an airport--not a real busy one, though.)
Clean, quiet hotel just a very short distance away from the airport terminal. Entire staff from the front desk personnel to the shuttle driver were friendly and courteous. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. Recommend this establishment ot other travelers.
The Inn is real close to the airport, the Inn has a shuddle that will take you to the airport and pick you up. They offer a special package deal if you want to leave your car at the Inn when you have an extended departure by plane. All the folks where very helpful.
I had an overall good experience with this property and staff and also this hotel is in a good location for nearby restaurants , the staff were very nice and polite, the hotel lobby was clean and up to date.
Needed a room at 3:30 in the morning for a couple hours of slerp and we found this Best Western. Lady at the desk was great helping us get into a room. I am very thankful for her and all her help. She was the best.
No heating . Room was freezing. We got an extra blanket. Cold. But reception tried. Gave us a blanket. Room was cold Freezing to be honest. Breakfast not bad. But cold room was bad. I'll never be back. Couldn't sleep. Bit dated the whole place. Like going back 20 years. But you get what u pay for. Never again. Best Western sucks
Overall, the hotel was very nice, clean, and had a friendly staff. The rooms were a little on the small side, but that's to be expected at a hotel near an airport. Parking was plentiful, and it was easy to spot from the road (though I also used a GPS). The wifi worked well for my streaming services, and the breakfast had a lot of options (eggs, cereal, bagels, etc.). Bathrooms are also on the smaller side, but again, it's a hotel by an airport, so I doubt many will stay past one or two nights. Shower pressure was good, and the temperature warm. I would stay here again if I was in the area.
We booked a one bedroom suite which was perfect for what we needed. My complants (keep reading for the positives)....we arrived very late this past Friday and were exhausted. When I opened the sofa bed, there were no sheets. I looked in the closet hoping to find sheets, blanket and pillow, but nothing. I was told that they don't put them in the room, but I had to request it. The houseman brought it to me in no time at all and I had to make the bed. A bit of a pain, but not the end of the world...the beds were lumpy and not the most comfortable and there was a stain on the carpet. BUT...the pluses way overshadowed the negatives. The airport shuttle was right at the airport when we arrived. We didn't need to wait at all. The driver helped us with our bags and we were at the hotel in no time. The staff
What a great surprise this hotel was! Pick up at the airport was fast, room clean, comfortable and nice. Will always use this hotel when traveling from Rochester airport, can't beat the deal and convience. Thanks Best Western.
We've stayed at this hotel for years when we've had an early morning flight, since we live an hour from the airport. it was always functional but a little grungy, nothing we really looked forward to. No longer. Significant renovations to the rooms and overall facility, it's now a pleasant experience in addition to being extremely convenient and well priced. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and even the breakfast is now up to the standards one would expect at a hotel in this price range (nothing fancy but fully adequate).
Going out of my way to write this review to commend the staff at this Best Western location. Kal at the front desk went above and beyond to help me out. I'm from the other side of the country and he answered plenty of my questions, and held my bag on location for me although I couldn't check in yet. The location of this hotel is across the street from the airport making it very convenient. Rooms were very clean, and I have no complaints.
This hotel has clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice staff, free breakfast, a park n' fly option, and free shuttle service that is quick and available for late night and early morning flights. We always use this hotel when flying out of ROC.
The breakfast was better than most chain restaurants. It was nice to have fruit topping for the waffles and the apples were fresh and not mealy.. Friendly staff, basic room, small but comfortable. The sheets had a faint smell of bleach which is comforting to know they were freshly cleaned..
room was clean and hotel was convenient for our stay to catch an early morning flight home. a restaurant was right next door, good food. wish breakfast was served earlier, but was able to grab a donut. nice hotel.
I was greated with a smile as soon. As I walked through the door. The staff member that checked me in was very helpful. I was catching the airport shuttle in the morning, I came down a little early, I was checked out and at the airport prior to the time I had scheduled to leave.
Bathroom plumbing exposed, huge crack in the wall that was fixed poorly, bathroom tub was dirty and the roomee smelled like garbage. Asked for a new room but they were booked. The front lobby lady was rude. I don't recommend this hotel.
It's less than a mile from the airport and great for that purpose. Very nice staff and clean rooms. A bit run down, but wonderful for being so close to the airport. The 2-bedroom suite was pretty roomy and offered some privacy.
I should have noticed when I booked, but due to the location, it can be very noisy when airplanes arrive. Hotel itself was fine, as expected. Nothing special. If I rented a car, I may have stayed elsewhere.
The beds were not comfortable. We stayed there three nights and if we had known we would have gone somewhere else. We were there for a funeral and high school reunion so we were only there at night. Compared to the Plainfield and Dayton location it was only fair.
Nice basic hotel with reasonable prices. Facility is getting older but it's been well maintained and cleaned. All the equipmenment in the small exercise room works well and is clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job in my room. Room AC works great, but can be a little noisy. Plenty of hot water fast. Mattresses are newer, but not as firm as I prefer (but I like extra firm beds). TV provided by Direct TV and Includes HBO and some other premium channels. I was visiting family in Gates NY so it was very convenient.. It's also close to the major highways in the area as well as being next door to the Airport. I don't think the airport operates late night, because I only heard aircraft during daytime hours. I stayed 5 days, so I made good use of the small refrigerator in the room. Nothing appealed to me with the free breakfast, but coffee was good. The room curtains are not true blackout and do not go floor to ceiling. So, ask for a room on the west side of the building unless you like the sunlight streaming in your face early in the morning.
If you ask at the front desk, you will be offered a thin packet of toothpaste. Mouthwash is not offered or even for sale. Bacon and sausage are offered but only one per day. The bacon was undercooked so if you like it crispy you will be disappointed.
We didn't expect to be staying overnight in Rochester. We found the listing for the Best Western, Rochester in the baggage department at the Rochester airport. Our flight had been canceled because of weather. We called and immediately received good service from the manager. He had a shuttle pick us up within 2 minutes of our call. The hotel is on the older side by clean and quiet.
We did not had hot water for 14 hours and found black ,mold stains on pillow cover. Did not got a proper response from manager/front desk when water will be available. We drove 6 hrs to attend my kid graduation which we missed it because we could not take shower.
I was attending my son's graduation from RIT. The entire stay was terrific. The staff was friendly and attentive. Tony and Scharlese made me feel like an old friend. I would gladly stay at this hotel again
My wife and I stayed at this hotel a couple weeks ago during a trip to see family. The hotel itself is ok. The room was a good size and the free breakfast was also fine. 1. We were extremely turned off by the multiple tv's in the lobby and dining area that were playing Fox News. It was surprising that the hotel management thought it would be appropriate for a hateful, white nationalist, propaganda network to be playing during breakfast time. Because of this, we will not be frequenting this hotel in the future. 2. The hallways smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. They said it was a no-smoking floor, but people were doing so anyway. Would have appreciated better ventilation or monitoring by the management.
Arrived 4 hours late then planned. It's a short walk from the airport. When arrived was greeted friendly and checkin was efficient. Room was spacious, shower with bath and shower little small. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was ok. Checkout no issues and again friendly staff.
I chose the Best Western because of its proximity to the airport for a very early morning flight. Rooms are small, clean, comfortable and have free wifi. My request for a room at the end of a corridor was met. I checked in earlier than expected and I was welcomed. Staff are very kind and helpful. The airport shuttle runs as needed and by reservation. Some breakfast buffet food is available at 4 AM well before all the hot options are at 6 AM, but there's protein to fortify you before an early departure. Coffee in room and in the lobby is (surprisingly) very good. I can't say enough about how gracious and accommodating the hotel staff are. I'd stay here again if given the opportunity.
Stayed one night for business. The hotel rooms are a little on the small side from what I'm used to. The staff seemed very helpful at checkin. At checkout the front desk guy was not behind the desk and was actually sitting in the comfy chairs next to the desk. He seemed put out to get up and walk behind the desk to help you. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The flight path is directly over the hotel, so if you are a light sleeper it may not be the best place. They do not fly all night but you can hear them probably until midnight.
Decent sized room. Bed and pillows were comfortable, room was clean. And good restaurant next door. The external appearance of the hotel is not particularly inviting but the desk staff was very friendly and efficient, and the and the overall experience was quite positive. Location is right at the airport and convenient to Bill Gray's Iceplex.
We stayed here January 18th for a "park and fly" deal as our morning flight on the 19th departed at 6:00am. Check in staff were more than friendly and helpful. It happened to be snowing upon our arrival and one of the female staffers (has worked there for alot of years) came out to help me unload our luggage. The shuttle drivers on both our day of departure and our return on 2/9 were very helpful and friendly.
Stayed here with an early am flight. Having to leave by 4 am we did not experience the full continental breakfast. However they were kind to get out some food this early as many others were leaving early to make it to the airport. This BW is across the street from the airport. They do offer a shuttle which we did not use. The condition of the room was good with minor cosmetic issues but overall condition was very good. Have one elevator to the second floor. It is located across from the airport so it was a bit noisy until 10:30 pm when incoming flights slowed. The staff were kind and polite. Easy ground level access to lobby and elevator. Price was lower than other locations on airport property. Gave it good value.
Really close to the airport (you can walk, through a parking garage, but there's a busy road to cross so they recommend you take their shuttle instead) and reasonably priced. Very kind, helpful staff. Bathroom was rather run-down, with peeling wallpaper, an inexpert caulking repair job, and mildew stains, but everything was functional.
Right next to airport. Staff was extremely kind and helpful will continue to stay here when flying out of Rochester. Convenient, comfortable and affordable. Always enjoy our time here. Great location great staff!
Rooms are ok. Place is kind of dumpy. Needs to be renovated or razed and start over. Took my keys fir my car. Then gave them back to you when they picked you up at the airport. Said it was for "security reasons". Did not like that part. Right by the airport so shuttle is quick. Nothing is close by so you will drive for a restaurant. Stay on Jefferson road with a hotel that has shuttle service or just drive the extra 10 minutes to the airport. Many resturants around there within a 3 minute drive. Just my opinion.
Very close to airport. Planes were a little loud in the beginning, but tapered off later in the night. Loved the early morning shuttle service. A few things were available for breakfast prior to leaving, which was great.
Very convenient for student drop off at the University of Rochester. Clean room/bathroom. Decent breakfast. Be sleepy--the planes are loud overhead! We have stayed here multiple times and feel it is a fair price for a no frills room.
Each staff person we interacted with was friendly. The lobby and room were both clean. The 2nd floor lobby had a roof leak due to all the rain, but they had buckets and a sign. The free breakfast was decent - included eggs, waffles, pastries, cereal, yogurt, instant oatmeal, fresh fruit. The staff kept it well stocked and before closing asked everyone present if there was anything else they wanted from the buffet.
We recently stayed at this Best Western so that our son could catch an early morning flight home to South Korea. We found the hotel to be very basic with no frills and adequate for our needs. The check in process not smooth and my husband had to come inside to handle it. The hotel management might want to upgrade the beds and none of us could get comfortable what with them sinking in the middle and being incredibly bouncy when one would get in or out of bed. The bathroom was small and only provided a small bottle of shampoo and one small bar of soap. The breakfast provided was good, the coffee was hot and strong and the shuttle got my son to the airport on time. I guess this hotel is good for those looking for something basic and close to the airport and not any real comfort. We are in Rochester once a month for family visits and have decided that we will not be considering them for a future stay as we think you should get a bit more comfort for the cost of the room.
Got here very late & was conveniently located at airport. Slept ate breakfast and left. People were nice & room was clean. If you get in late or have an early flight it's great. Not sure if any restaurants are nearby but it served its purpose.
We stayed at this hotel last spring it was very clean the people were amazing, we found out it was under new ownership and you sure can tell. They no longer weed eat around things weeds are 3 feet tall, the room numbers were falling off the wall in the hallways also the paint in shower was peeling, we will never stay there again
I needed a bed on the graduation weekend for RIT, so I shouldn't be surprised that I was relatively overcharged for the space. However, the location, while convenient to the airport, is truly lousy. The 5am overflight didn't help matters.
Directly across the street from the Rochester Airport - this hotel offers convenient free shuttle to and from Airport anytime night or day. Room was spotless, and check-in was quick and hassle-free. Coffee and cookies and yogurt anytime in the lobby. This is the place to stay for a quick early morning flight. I would definitely stay here again.
The Airport Best Western in very friendly, and they go out of their way to be sure that you are comfortable, and stress free! The room had a King Size bed, and was spotless, and I have been called a CLEAN FREAK sometimes! I had a quick breakfast in the lounge! I left my car at the motel as I purchased " Park+ Fly' ! My Family went over some of my requirements for my car to be looked after while I was gone, and the staff was accommodating! The shuttle bus took me to my airport carrier, and brought me back to the motel when I arrived from Mexico!
I usually stay with friends when I fly out of Rochester, NY since I live 100 miles away, but for an early morning flight I wanted to be right next to the airport so I booked a room at the Best Western. The staff was friendly, the room was spotless and very quiet, I could leave my car there for free—-nothing fancy, but exactly what I needed.
The exterior of this hotel is average but aging and that was exceedingly apparent once I got to my room. The tv didn't work so I had to switch rooms. In my 2nd room, the bathroom was very worn...old shower fixtures and the toilet was wobbly as if not securely attached to the floor. Everything is very clean and the staff is friendly but the amenities are worn. It's a great price, but you get what you pay for.
Couldn't pass up the Park, Sleep, Fly deal for this hotel. We were headed to Florida for 27 days and couldn't find parking alone for the price of the package which included one nights stay and 27 days parking. The hotel welcomed us with hot coffee and freshly baked cookies. Our room was spacious and the television was large, crystal clear and offered plenty of channels through Direct TV. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at similarly priced hotels and offered scrambled eggs done perfectly, link sausage, fresh make 'em yourself waffles, real bagels (not those bagged varieties), three types of bread for toast, fresh fruit and all the other usual offerings (cereal, yogurt etc.). When we were ready to go to the airport, their driver took us without delay. In my opinion, this is the place to stay when flying in or out of Rochester.
I could not find stay/park/fly offers for this hotel online. However, when I called I was able to book. For about $100 we spent the night in a clean, comfortable, quiet room; had a full breakfast; parked for 5 days; and enjoyed a door to door shuttle. Highly recommended!
Fast shuttle bus arrival, nice room, great breakfast. We stayed one night and our stay was perfect. I'm happy to recommend the rochester best western to any other travellers. I had apple juice, a muffin with jam and a yoguart with oatmeal for breakfast. The waffle-maker made a perfect waffle and the coffee was good according to my wife.
The hotel was very homey and the staff was very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was good and started very early. The beds were very comfortable. everyone went out of there way to make this a very pleasant stay.
We stayed here as a park and fly the night before a trip to Vegas. Flight was at 6:00 AM and we live an hour from the airport. With travel time and security we would have had to leave super early! We stayed here, got up and had a bite to eat and then hopped on shuttle over to airport. Saved money on airport parking and didn't have the stress of driving at 4:00 in the morning. Well worth it in my book. Staff was very professional and courteous! Will definitely do again. Thank you!
All was well with the initial stay and trip to airport shuttle. Hotel is across the street from the airport so very convenient. However the 2 desk clerks were not the most helpful. The 1st one on the 23rd of Nov. was very interested in her TV show. Coming back home, I wanted to use the restroom and was told it was broken and offered nothing else. Seems like there could have been something offered????
We use this hotel to "park and fly" when we travel - this fits in well with our need to have safe parking for our car while we are gone - they take us to the airport for our early morning flight and pick us up when we return - what a great value!!!!
Hotel has been refurbished and is comfortable and clean. Up to date room amenities. Wake up call on time. Breakfast items were excellent and good quality. Shuttle service to the airport was prompt at 5:00 a.m.
How would you react when you establish a park, stay, fly reservation and when you return from your trip the receptionist tells you that there is no record of your stay at the hotel and your car keys are not immediately available upon your return flight? When I stayed at the hotel 10 days ago I filled out a form stating my flight #, ETA, and date of return. When my return flight was cancelled due to technical difficulty, I called the hotel to inform them my husband and I would be arriving at 9:30 PM instead of the previously planned 2:00 PM. The receptionist confirmed that he noted this on the form. However, when we called for a shuttle to pick us up at the ROC at 9:30 PM, we were told that there was no record of our stay. After much discussion the receptionist said that a shuttle would come pick us up. Twenty minutes later when I approached the receptionist at the hotel front desk, she did not have my car keys and she told me there was no record of my car being parked at the Best Western The Inn at Rochester Airport. When I asked her if she was telling me that she lost my car keys, she said, "Oh, here is your car listing and I will get your car keys for you."
My daughter and I made this trip for a memorial service and to visit with family. It was cold, but this hotel had a warm and friendly staff making the stay of 4 nights quite pleasant. Though the room was a bit smaller than we anticipated, it worked well for our needs, a place to sleep mostly. I can't say that it was quiet though what with airplanes/jets coming in for landings right over the hotel. BUT even with that happening it was rather exciting, albeit noisey, when theyd fly over. Like watching large birds land on a pond. The only real problem was they began this at the crack of dawn and ended shortly past midnight! So, while I might recommend this hotel I do it with this suggestion...bring earplugs!
this is a airport hotel and every one there is either leaving Rochester or arriving by air & your staff does all it can to get us on our planes on time. I have a physical impairment & travel with my own transport device; your staff, esp. the shuttle staff give me a parking spot accessible to my transport device& yr shuttle staff handles the device without complaint. I have used yr property for years & will continue to. Your staff's support is what makes it possible for me to travel. (This isn't always true
Close to airport, highly recommended by my parents & co-workers. Glad I listened! Staff was very nice and helpful! Would have missed my cruise if it wasn't for their thoughtfulness Will Definitely do it from now on!
My husband and I checked into this hotel around midnight after working an extremely long day and not able to safely drive home. Went for their breakfast and was gone around 9 am. The following day I checked my bank to see a $117+ charge for the room AND an additional charge of $250. I immediately called the hotel and was informed we smoked in the room, which we did not. If they would check their security cameras they would see my husband go outside to smoke. The manager I spoke with was very rude. After complaining to no avail, I once again checked my bank and had another $370+ charge from them on my account. I don't know who may have smoke in that hotel, however, it wasn't us and I do not appreciate being considered a liar! That money out of my account that was going to be used towards our honeymoon. If you stay at this hotel, you better have management inspect your room before leaving, and have them sign a statement everything was satisfactory.
The room was very overpriced and not what you'd expect from a Best Western. The room was miniscule, smaller than a discount motel. The check in clerk was friendly and quick but never advised us of the breakfast so we missed it. The room was in extreme disrepair. A huge disappointment. My husband was not able to sign into wifi. None of the pillows were feather/down. TV was not working well.
Even though we live only a 30 minute drive to the airport, we had a very early flight and needed to park our car for 14 days so we booked this hotel as it is right across from the airport. Everyone was so acccomidating. Shuttle service was great and even breakfast was ready at 4 AM. Bravo for this BW.
This hotel is right at the airport and good enough for overnight stay. Small location but ok for a single night. room was comfortable but bathroom small and toilet right at the sink so easy enough to bump and get a bruise. Clean and Breakfast was typical fare. ok
I was expecting an standard motel. I received a top quality experience. arriving at the airport I called the motel for the free shuttle and it arrived within a few minutes, just for me. When I departed, it was immediately available. The room had one of the most comfortable beds on which I have slept - better than at home! Just soft enough, covers just right, I think it was absolutely quiet all night although I mostly slept through, which at my age is unusual. The room had a comfortable soft chair at the desk - perfect climate control - bathroom/shower was excellent. When I arrived I needed some exercise - a vigorous walk. The desk clerk was knowledgeable about the neighborhood and guided me to a nearby walk/bike trail. In the morning she was flexible in allowing my friend and me to pay separately, each for one of our two nights. All the employees were competent and friendly. It was a positive addition to my class reunion experience.
We were in Rochester to take care of some family business. The hotel was convenient as it is close to the airport and has a shuttle. We were able to return our car the night before and have the shuttle pick us up, then take the shuttle to the airport the next morning. The hotel is small but clean, everyone is friendly and the free breakfast is a bonus. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Terrific at-the-airport hotel. Highly recommended. Professional staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Very little airport noise. 5 minutes to check-in so perfect for early flights. Decent work out room and local food is close.
How did this ever get 4 stars? There was a filthy stained chair. The tub was disgusting. The room and bathroom were tiny. Staff was very pleasant and proximity to airport is handy. Can't imagine ever staying here again.
Friendly, professional, helpful and a great value! Park and fly is an excellent value and very convenient. Rooms have always been clean and comfortable. Short ride to the airport which proves to be very fast and convenient.
Accommodation fine. Horrid cleaning odor in hotel room and halls. Triggered allergies. Did not report problem as stay was brief. No breakfast as we left too early. Wifi is fine. Staff nice. Stayed there as they have airport shuttle
Best Western staff was terrific, rooms were excellent, breakfast good, location right off trail, staff provided hose and rags to wash bikes from dusty trail. Beds were comfortable and staff coordinated ground floor rooms where possible. If booking with bikes please check for ground floor ahead of trip.
park and fly worked out great. stayed the night before for a early departure , wake up call with breakfast, shuttle to airport and return back made a call and in 5 minutes picked us up at the airport.
I didn't have high expectations when I booked a 2 star hotel on Priceline, and was pleasantly surprised! The staff was friendly, rooms were clean, free breakfast was plentiful! Enjoyed free cookies at check-in. Overall okay! Older hotel, but reasonably well updated.
I should have checked the bed when I entered cause it wasn't acceptable but I waited until I was sleepy 7 hours later. the king size mattress was the cheapest I've ever been in. It was only about 6" thick and I was hitting bottom when I laid on it. It is not suitable for anyone to sleep in. There is no decent restaurant within walking distance. The BW Rochester Marketplace is a much hotel and value.
Room was not clean. Price was good and I was flying in late that night is why I picked this hotel. I wouldn't choose this hotel again at this location. Didn't contact front desk after check in because it was so late. Bathroom vanity is very small.
Sometimes you can afford and it's pretty darned good. This is the time! Came for a DCA competition, stayed two nights and were able to travel with ease knowing that nice hot shower, clean room and comfortable bed was waiting. Extra perk, the breakfast in the morning was quite satisfying and the location at the airport came in handy too!
Close to airport, prompt anytime shuttle, good cleanliness, great customer service. Had to chance room, first one the mattress was too old and lumpy. AC made noise every 15 minutes. Second room much better, little airplane noise but not bad. Would stay again for one night trip, especially considering nothing else better close to airport.
Nice recently and nicely updated! Staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel was very clean. Breakfast area was nice and good breakfast options. Person running the breakfast area very nice. Check out was very pleasant with very nice staff.
The hotel was very convienent to the airport and my business call, The front desk staff was very helpful and great to deal with, check in was extremely easy. The breakfast offering was adequate... I would have liked a peice of bacon and the eggs were all yellow (so from a liquid I presume.) The rooms were very clean. The bed was firm, only so so. The value was outstanding. I'll stay again!
Courteous staff, clean hotel. We stayed here so we could leave or car there while on vacation. Make sure to ask the policy for 'park n fly' because we were away 2 wks they said we had to pay? I gotta ck on that again.
Hotel was super outdated and kind of beaten down but at the same time was clean. It served our purpose as we only stayed one night to catch an early morning flight. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
If you have a early flight out of Rochester staying at the Best Western is well worth your time and money. It will cost you more I. Parking at the airport. Park sleep and fly is the way to go. Courteous on time shuttle service rooms comfortable and breakfast was very good
Pleasant professional staff. Recent upgrades and new management a plus. Comfortable accommodations. Restful stay. New restaurant, serving excellent food at reasonable costs, within safe walking distance of the hotel. The 'stay and fly' option is a huge amenity.
I had stayed here a year ago. On this visit I stayed three nights. I benefited from a discount for staying at least three nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast selection daily but the seating area for breakfast is inadequate for the size of the hotel. The sink area in the room is small without adequate room for a lot of toiletry items. The room was quiet and comfortable although on the small side.
We were extremely happy with this hotel. We have stayed in several hotels in Rochester none twice, the staff was amazing, they upgraded us to a suite with no charge because we stayed 6 night it's was extremely clean, we are staying there again next year
Great front desk and so helpful They were friendly and very welcoming. The park and fly is such a gift and the drivers were very accommodating..... prompt and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
A girlfriend and I were spending some time shopping in NY state and wanted to stay in Rochester at a place with a decent price. We landed on this Best Western. The hotel is a bit dated - bathroom could have used some upkeep - but the carpet seemed new and there were 2 rooms (one with the beds, the other with a couch and TV). The hotel was quiet (didn't hear a lot of planes) and the staff were pleasant. The only reservation I had was that the area was not the nicest - but I recognize that it was by the airport so you can only expect so much.
Good continental breakfast & opens earlier than the Hampton Inn. Staff was helpful & friendly.. The desk clerk, Teri P. was helpful & friendly in a professional way: Teri P. helped me snap on a bracelet, as I was traveling alone and often need assistance. The shuttle driver was helpful and was prompt in picking me up with in 5 min. He also, took my luggage up to my room. I didn't expect this "above & beyond" service. Much appreciated! The hotel was like "a port in the storm" from the rigors of airline travel on a rainy night.
I actually did a reverse park and fly. I drove there and left my vehicle. They then took me to the airport for my flight. My flight was late coming back and they were there only seconds after I called and made my way to the pick-up area. They got me checked in minutes. Although the room is small but who cares, I wanted a shower and a bed for the night. The king size bed was comfortable and I was asleep in minutes. Went down for breakfast in the morning and on my way home after that. I love the park and fly option. Definitely will use this hotel again.
This is a modest, clean hotel that is an exceptional value for parking your car when flying out of Rochester, NY. Staff is friendly and accommodating Full breakfast is complimentary starting at 4 am, followed by free shuttle service to the airport, perfect for early morning flights. Returning shuttle service is available 24/7 by calling the hotel. Reservation for Park & Fly is only available by calling hotel, not through online booking.
Stayed 2 nights with my family. The room was large, clean and the beds very comfortable. Hotel was also very convenient not only to the airport, but to all the places we wanted to go to around Rochester.
tub was worn and needed upgrading. Room was small. Staff excellent, breakfast good, plenty of parking. Had to move the room phone to other side of bed and found cord oily, dusty. Great spot for access to airport. All night shuttle service to airport was key.
We checked in at 3:30am due to nightmare flight. Staff was WONDERFUL! The woman at the check-in pointed out the hot breakfast started at 4am and if we wanted to stay up and have it then, she would push back our check out time from 11am to 12:30 to give us more time to sleep. Facilities were clean and comfortable, breakfast selection was abundant. Highly recommend, will stay again.
We have stayed several times while flying out of Rochester. Nice, clean. Staff makes sure you are well taken care of. No frills, but a great place to stay when flying out. Great park and fly rates. Good breakfast if you have time before you fly out.
Hotel looks nice on the outside, but when you get to your room be prepared for a room of horrors. Bathroom had a terrible odor. Remote was broke, long black curly hair on the bathroom floor,...shower dirty. Very run down room. Mattress had seen better days. Air conditioning barely worked. Glad it was just a one night stay.
Excellent location near the airport. Superb service to and from the airport as we took advantage of the park and fly option. Van driver was ready at 4:30 AM to deliver us to the airport. Van arrived about 10 minutes after we called upon returning to the airport.
Good stay. Would use this hotel again. Convenient to the airport but also to the city. Easily accessible to restaurants but quiet at the same time. Would recommend to family and friends. Check in was fast and friendly.
We stayed both nights on our way to and from Charleston. We were in rooms 224 and 228. Both rooms had comfortable beds. The rooms are very small-but nothing different from other airport hotels. 224 had a nice sunset out the window. Nothing much to look at out the window though-as it fronted onto the back parking area. On the morning before our flight I had trouble getting hot water. 228 was not very clean, but since our previous room was clean I would assume that housekeeping wanted to rush through the room. Coffee left in the pod, dirt on the bathroom floor, and hairs in the shower. The shuttle was perfect on both ends. We have experienced many different airport shuttles-and this was one of the more seamless. There was quite the breakfast group going on when we left at 4AM for the airport. The breakfast was good. There were choices, and we had plenty of room for seating. We would stay again at this location.
Everything was fresh and clean. The beds were super comfortable. The hot water was instant. Ice was plentiful and convenient plus there was a refrigerator with a freezer. The internet worked great for the 3 of us.
Everything was excellent in service; staff was very helpful with finding my BW number to get points. They had cookies during the day. They offered suggestions for places to go see and eat. Breakfast was great and workout area was clean.
We always stay at this hotel the night before our departing flight out of Rochester. Very reasonable price, comfortable beds, clean, directly across the street from the airport, free parking and free shuttle. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!
I had a nice overnight stay and free breakfast at this hotel. Coffee was good too. Fresh fruit and powdered donuts were available. Nice. There were not too many channels on the TV but that wasn't a big. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean. The business center has two computers and a good laser printer for printing my boarding pass.
Very clean, very nice and helpful staff at the front desk. They were able to answer my questions, listen to and acted on a suggestion and were very friendly. Convenient to the airport saved me. There's really not more that needs to be said the trip advisor won't let me submit this and less I have a lengthy review
Arrived to courteous service and a clean presentable room. Offloading luggage is easy with an automatic door and Parking is convenient. Rooms are nicely updated. And the heating / cooling units work well.
Out west, Best Western hotels are very nice mid range hotels, usually family owned and operated. We stay at them or at Hampton Inns. So I booked this Best Western hotel for our late night arrival thinking it would be enjoyable and sufficient, but no. Good points: At the front desk we met VERY nice people. You can walk to airport and they have a shuttle. Bad: Permanent signage of wet floors due to some weird chemical spill. Door to room stuck and required a heavy shove eveytime. Terribly outdated room. Mold or dark dirty areas in shower. Toilet didn't work. Heater was very loud. BED WAS VERY OLD, SAGGING AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. Tall foam pillows that keep your head at just the right angle to create a crink in your neck. Breakfast had some nice items like yogurt but eggs were manufactured little yellow circles with white surrounds. Very low class. The website photos show staged areas that exist but are not in usable areas - so very weird. They had some food delivery services but we drove downtown for dinner.
Great location as you can walk to the airport. The hotel does have a free airport shuttle. The hotel seems dated, hallways are done in gray which makes it seem dreary, especially on a cloudy day. The rooms were redone at some point but the bathroom needs attention. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a free breakfast everyday. The plane noise is not that bad given the proximity to the airport. Would stay again if in the area.
Family graduation plans took us to this budget/mid range airport motel as most of the other hotels in the Rochester area were booked. Delightful staff, rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained, breakfast was adequate and well stocked the hotel provided a nice resting stop for 3 days of social events. Unlike most budget/mid range hotels found in vicinity of local airports and at this price point. Nice stay...good job!
We stayed only one night in May 2017. Everything was more or less fine except the bathroom. It was the kind of dirty worthy of being featured on Gordon Ramsey's Hotel Hell. There was a thumb nail sized piece of dried feces on the floor. That's the least graphic way I can describe it.
We overnight for a concert in the city. The hotel is not only across the street from the airport, But 10 minutes from downtown. The staff gave suggestions on restaurant's and expedite towels and wash clothes within 5 minutes. the room and bed was comfortable.
The rooms were small but had been refurbished. One of the rooms we booked had lots of hair on the floor on the bathroom floor/ It was taken care of but should never have happened. The breakfast was good. No close dining so you need a car. Hotel did provide a list.
Stayed 1 night, the room was not up to Best Western Standard of other locations. Room door had a piece of tape holding the plate to the door. There were cob webs in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable.
Great place to stay - 1/10 mile from Rochester International Airport, New York State. Breakfast one of the BEST. Staff very helpful and nice. Quick trip to Airport at all hours of night including pickup.
A friend and I stayed here (Park and Fly package) so we could leave the car while we vacationed in Florida. The hotel from check in, to the shuttle to the airport, and pick up from the airport was smooth and friendly. Would definitely stay again. The shuttle drivers were awesome. Fresh morning coffee (even at 4 am)! Slept well. Restaurants close by for dinner. Bed was comfy. Best of all? I left my iPhone charger in the room and when I called them from Florida, they were so nice. They had it waiting for me upon my return. This place is literally across the road (don't walk though its VERY busy).
I have stayed several times the night before and night after flights out of Rochester, they are so very helpful, professional, courteous and treat you like family. The breakfast is great they even have a bag to go. Being over the 65 age (81) now it makes it so easy to stay there leave my car and they take me to the airport and pick me up no matter the time. It's located right across the airport and is very reasonably priced.
The front desk and the breakfast staff were exceptional, making sure every need we had was met. We were greeted by the front desk upon arriving and they even had warm cookies for the children. They are absolutely incredible!
It's not a fabulous or high-end hotel but it's clean, the food is decent and the food area was clean. The staff is very friendly. One woman who cleans the rooms was the nicest staff member we talked with. My husband made sure to tell her she was doing a great job and that we tried to keep the room as clean as possible so she didn't have to work too hard on a Sunday. We love the friendliness of the staff and chatting with them is great ... not fond of people who refuse to even smile at someone. Having the airport directly across the street is a HUGE plus but note that the room was still quiet even being so close to the airport. Close to this hotel is a Walmart, Dollar Store, Post Office, down the road is a Wegmans store (another great experience) and easy access to all highways. Cost wasn't too high either.
We recently booked for a last-moment trip home and needed a centrally-located hotel. For me, the positives outweigh the negatives. First, the negatives - older building with thin walls (on night if arrival we clearly heard the conversation of loud talkers next door); "2 double beds" room was very small for four people let alone five with luggage (another family member was staying next door so one of my kids slept there but small beds and small room...nowhere for a kid to sleep in the floor); and no pool for families but the fitness room was fine. Now, the positives - I have NEVER stayed at a hotel with such friendly staff. Everyone bent over backwards to make sure our stay was as comfortable as can be. EVERYONE was happy and we were always greeted with a smile. Any issues were quickly resolved. It was a place to sleep near the airport...great to hit the bed quickly after our flight arrived crazy late. It's not a crazy busy airport so the flight noises really were not bothersome. It's an older hotel that has been renovated. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel to a smaller family if a pool wasn't a necessity...the staff was that awesome.
Great location, close to canal for walking - bike riding. Bathroom run down, needs some real work, internet flakey. The room was good, bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Nice reception upon arrival.
It was so helpful to be able to leave my car at this hotel while we flew to Florida for four days. Hotel is across the street from the Rochester airport and has a shuttle to take you to your flight and to pick you up when you return. The price of a one night stay was still probably about the same as four days of airport parking. The staff were so friendly and helpful with the entire process.
My daughter and I were extremely well treated and cared for in this simple hotel, which makes it stand out for me among the many hotels we have used in the past year. From the moment we called from the airport for the shuttle to the moment we left we got exceptional service.
We were flying out of the airport early in the morning so we decided to stay here since it is very close to the Rochester airport. They have a free shuttle that is very quick and the staff is very nice. The rooms are basic, clean and comfortable. Breakfast starts early 4 or 5 am and has hot eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit, breads etc. There doesn't seem to be enough staff since the same person who made the breakfast also works the front des and drives the shuttle. Sounds like a lot of work! This hotels is a god choice for being close to the airport. It is convenient to expressways and travel routes. but is in a generally industrial and long term parking area so not much to see.
I stayed at this hotel for a few nights in between my interviews and had a very comfortable stay. The room is very clean (hair dryer is provided in the room) and quiet (the ac/heater is pretty quiet too). The front desk staff is friendly, and breakfast is complimentary. Coffee, cookies and fruits are available all day. Wifi is very fast and free, which was very important to me since I was doing some work in the room. When I need a late check-out, they're very accommodating. There are plenty of parking in the back when the front lots fill up. I would definitely recommend and choose this hotel again if I ever come back to the area.
The staff was super nice had a weird check in though he didnt really speak to me, room was awesome and the beds were very comfy, and they also gave us a lot of towels when asked. Had a really great stay here, I will consider staying here again in the future.
Stayed while on a business trip. Hotel is well maintained and clean though it is not new. Room was smaller but worked fine my for needs. The bathrooms are a bit dated but it and the room were very clean and everything was well maintained. I would stay again. By the way though it is right across the street from the airport the noise is not to bad and the planes do not come and go after about 11 pm til the morning.
clean, convenient, courteous and friendly service. shuttle service is GREAT. Good place to stay. A very positive experience picking up my wife who was returning from overseas and got to Rochester at midnight.
The suite was spacious with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. There is TV in each room . Perfect for a few nights halt. Staff are friendly.hotel provides free ride to and from the airport.loads of free parking space.Breakfast is included in the price. Cofee is available 24/7.The toilet is very tiny though.
The room was small, but adequate. They offer free parking and shuttle service to and from the airport which is across the highway. That makes the $110 overnight worth it when you have a 6 am flight. They have the usual minbar breakfast.
I have to stay at this motel almost weekly for business, and am very pleased with the accommodations and especially the very customer service oriented staff. The rooms are up to date with plenty of outlets and great lighting. The breakfast hours are from 4 am to 930 which is just so outstanding. One of my favorite hotels all things considered.
The room was small but very comfortable. Had a refrigerator which is a plus.Good location for Rochester area. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was good. Was concerned about the noise since it was so close to the airport and that was not a problem.
We stayed at this location twice on our trip to New York. Both times we had a very good experience. The staff was very professional and friendly. Don't let the fact that it's by the airport stop you from staying here. It's quiet at night when you need sleep. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The bedding and towels, etc. are of great quality. We had a relaxing sleep and woke up totally refreshed. The breakfast was so satisfying. They even serve almond milk as one of the beverage options. I was impressed with that extra. And in the evening they make their hot chocolate packets available to the guests. Early flight? Breakfast starts being served at 4 a.m. They even have "grab and go" items. In the waiting area you can watch for your flight on a televised screen. They also have great airport transportation available for no charge. Just make sure you let the staff know ahead of time what your travel needs are so they can be ready to assist you. If we were in the area, we'd most definitely stay here again.
Arrived late and the parking lot was full and hard to find a parking space (the hotel was full with no vacancy that night). They need to provide better signage in the parking lot. Hotel check in was fine, the staff was friendly. The room was smaller than expected, the bed was comfy and air cond. was reasonably quiet. The shower head was difficult to control. Okay for a short stay. Wifi was fine. Breakfast was good.
Stayed for one night, we were traveling towards Toronto, the hotel was near the airport, close enough to our destination. The room was very nice and comfortable, slept and rested well. The a/c was very quiet, we were able to sleep. We did not expect the aircraft landings would be noisy but it was tolerable. The continental breakfast was enough, the coffee was good. The location was good, not far from the city.
The inn is so close to the airport: it took me only 5 minutes to the airport ON FOOT. They still provide shuttle service on demand. I suspect that asking for shuttle and taking a ride would take a longer time than walking, unless it rains or snows. The room was well maintained and reasonably clean. Bathroom was kind of small. Breakfast was not bad at all with some hot food including scrambled egg and bacon and was provided from 4 to 10 AM, therefore there was no problem having breakfast for 6 AM flights. The kitchen area was small but it was not difficult to find a seat even at the peak time. Lobby area was almost non-exitent, although coffee and tea were provided for free all day. There was quite loud airplane noise occasionally, but it was not a big issue, as there are not as many flights at ROC as in other bigger airports. The only complaint that I have is that there is no restaurant or anything near-by. There are some inside the secure area of the airport, but outside we did not want to rent a car just for a dinner. Nearest restaurant area is about 2 miles away, but you have to walk through an underpass without pedestrian shoulder, which I would not walk. We took a bus to the downtown, had dinner, and came back by bus.
Family and I stayed at this hotel October 18-19 2016. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. The amenities (breakfast, exercise, etc.) were well furnished, if somewhat cramped, and there wasn't an awful lot of seating available in the breakfast area. That said, breakfast was offered from about 4:30 am through 9:30 am (it was posted as 6 am through 9 am), likely as an effort to accommodate guests who had early flights and/or allow more guests to eat breakfast. Sadly, I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, nor did I use the exercise room, so I have little else to say about either. The rooms themselves are clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Included are all the 'basics,' like built in AC, mini-fridge, WIFI, and cable TV. During our stay, the access code for the WIFI was printed on the sleeve for the room keycard(s), and the process to log on was fairly painless. Provided (but tucked away in a drawer) is information such as TV stations. The bathroom(s) in the room(s) are also fairly standard, with everything you'd expect. While in my opinion, the bathroom was nice, my only concern was that the vent (for the steam) should also have a fan, to better draw the steam out and reduce the likelihood of mold growth. The only drawback to this hotel, in my mind, is its proximity to the airport. During our stay, we heard aircraft coming in for landings fairly often. Thankfully, the rooms are well insulated, so the sound was rather muffled, but it was still there. Just for the record, I am NOT complaining about the sound level. I knew coming in that it was by the airport, and expected it to actually be much louder than it was. Rather, I'm just mentioning the noise so that people know and so light sleepers can prepare accordingly. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and I would stay there again in the future.
My wife and I were traveling, and chose this hotel as they offer park and fly for 30 days. We have used this same hotel 10-15 times in the past few years. It is always clean, staff is always friendly and it is convenient for our need to get to the airport.
Tired hotel, but it was clean and close to the airport. I only stayed there for 8 hours, so a 4 star experience wasn't required. They include a parking option if you stay there. Then they take you to the airport and pick you up when you get back. Cost me less than half of airport parking, INCLUDING the night of rest. Breakfast was included, and starts at 4AM for those that need to catch an early flight. I will definitely stay here again and again. Great value for the price. One final note, don't bother with websites. Just call them and they will give you the best price.
This hotel is really tired and not that clean either. Since we were flying into Rochester on a late flight we wanted something close so we didn't have to locate something at 1AM. While the property isn't that great the staff is. The night auditor was very friendly and it was a quick process. At the breakfast buffet the food was good and plentiful and the scrambled eggs weren't like marbles and the bacon was very crisp. When we left the table and were checking out the gal from the dining area chased me out with the purse I'd left at the table. Now that's great service since that would have ruined our vacation. So as you can see there are ups and downs to this review.
We had a really poor experience at this hotel. We found four-bed bugs on one of our beds and called the front office but the staff insisted that there was no issue. After calling a second time, refusing to stay in that room, we were moved to another room. They said they had Pest Control check it out but found no issues. We disagreed given the number that we found in the room, we were then told that we were not experts on the matter so clearly there was not an issue. I would not feel comfortable recommending this place to anyone. This really put a damper on our trip.
We travel to Rochester several times per year to watch touring musicals and always spend the night in a hotel. This time we booked a room here. It is located in a convenient area close to the theater where the show was playing. We also had an appointment the following morning at 8am and this hotel was located close to where we needed to go. As far as the hotel itself, check in was easy. The room could use some minor repairs, but it was very good overall. The bed was comfortable, the television was nice, and outlets were located in convenient places to plug in our phones and tablets. The hotel has free wifi and free breakfast. I would rate the wifi as fair, as it was very weak in our room but it did work. I can't comment on the breakfast because we did not partake of it during our stay. The only part of our stay that I was not satisfied with was the checkout process in the morning. I went to the front desk to check out at approximately 7:40 am and there was nobody at the desk. There was a sign on the counter stating that the front desk person was helping another guest and that they would be back momentarily. There was also a bell sitting on the counter so I rang it. I stood there for several minutes before an employee finally came running up to the desk. The employee was very apologetic about keeping me waiting for so long and thanked me for staying at the hotel. My suggestion to the hotel would be to make sure someone is always available to cover the front desk. We were almost late for our appointment because of the delay in being able to check out. Other than that, our stay was good and based on my experience I do recommend this hotel and I would book here again.
The room and bathroom were small--like New York City small or Paris small. Also occasionally planes go over not more than 70 feet overhead. There were stains on the upholstered chair and carpeting. The exterior was non descript and unattractive.
We had been on an ocean cruise and arrived in Boston. As we left Boston early and originally had booked our stay near Syracuse NY we decided to cancel this reservation and travel to Rochester on our way home to Cambridge, Ontario. The hotel in Syracuse happily cancelled our room and re-booked us in the Best Western Inn in Rochester. Upon our arrival we met with the desk clerk who noted my Platinum member status and advised my wife and I that they were not overbooked and graciously granted me an upgraded us to a one bedroom suite. The rest of our experience there was wonderful. She recommended a good restaurant and the Breakfast the following morning was fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling through Rochester or catching a flight out of the nearby airport. They also provide a shuttle to the airport and long term parking is also available.
We had booked a room and had confirmation on that room at a different hotel in the area for a family get together. This was planned for 2 months because we were flying our children in from other states. Upon arrival late Saturday evening at that hotel, they had no record of our confirmed room and rate even tho I had the paper in my hand. They wanted a higher rate and we left that hotel very upset. We had checked one other hotel and they were full because of a Band and Bugle competition in the area. Went across the street to this Best Western and they had availability. The staff was great and the price was even less than we had expected. Very nice and comfortable place to stay. Quiet, great beds, fabulous breakfast and wonderful staff. So very convenient to the airport. Had shuttle service to the airport and they even printed our grown children's boarding passes the night before departure. Very impressed with this hotel. We are retired and travel a lot. We will be staying at Best Westerns more often.
This is a good choice if you're looking for lodging at or near the Rochester airport. Staff are efficient and helpful and rooms are spacious and reasonably well appointed - a good value for the price.
The TV remote barely worked which sucked. The bathroom was small and they only provided shampoo no conditioner. The breakfast was great with lots of good toppings for the waffles including Nutella. Parking was crowded. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Great hotel , very nice , had great breakfast with Bacon , none of that salty sausage that is not fit for human consumption. Great staff , very nice rooms , very quiet location , especially no airplane noise , just peace and quiet !!
Just checked in and the lady at front desk was very nice and the room looked nice at first, but as I looked closer the walls have crud on them and the floor in the bathroom has hair all over it. It's kind of grossing me out. I'll be keeping my sandals on as I walk around the room.
Great staff, very helpful at check-in and knowledgeable of the area. Clean and comfortable facility. Typical free breakfast but tasty. Slow internet and poor TV reception. Conveniently located very close to the airport.
Beds were comfy, couldn't hear the airplanes but desk staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. If my staff ever talked to me the way these employees spoke to us they wouldn't have a job much longer. Would I stay again? I'd probably look elsewhere unless I got a good deal.
A definite when you fly out of Rochester, NY and want your car parked safe and FREE!!!! The service is excellent!! Shuttle service 24/7 to and from the airport. The staff is extremely helpful and professional.
I like this hotel but i think its a little on the small size. The rooms are clean, Wi-Fi is good and the staff is helpful. Airport is down the street and they give you siscounts on the parking if you leave for a flight.
If you are flying out of Rochester, the Best Western offers excellent accommodations and a terrific free parking service for the airport. They definitely have their act together. We were very pleased with our room and very pleased with the parking and airport transfer services provided.
We looked for a hotel at the airport, and found the Best Western to have a good price. The rooms were on the small side, but they were clean, and the beds were very comfy. The breakfast bar even has Belgian waffles, along with eggs and sausage, cereal, bagels, etc. The shuttle bus picked us up very late at night and took us back to the airport very early in the morning. That saved a lot of hassles on a busy trip.
This is the second time that I visited this property.. It has the ideal location to navigate the Airport. It is easy to check in and check out. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is friendly and attentive. The breakfast has a good array of items to fit most guests needs. Close to a Walmart to help with items you may have neglected to take.
We rented two adjoining rooms in late July at this hotel. It's a great location if you're needing to get to the airport. We were just passing through and this was a good location for our stop. This hotel needs a lot of renovation. Their wifi was also down while we were there. The only thing this hotel had going for it was the free breakfast. It was nice with waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurts, cereals, and more.
I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the less than positive reviews. After checking in, my concerns were alleviated right away. The clerk at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She even printed out directions to the closest Wegmans, where my grandchildren wanted to go get sub sandwiches. The room, although not large, was more than adequate ...it was spotless and the beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was really good...we were expecting the typical complimentary breakfast...cereal, muffins, yogurt, coffee and juice. There were homemade waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage, fresh fruit and lots of other good choices. As far as the airport noise, I honestly did not hear any planes flying overhead. The shuttle driver was really nice and it was only a couple of minute ride to the airport, which is right across the road. After getting my grandchildren in their flight home, I called for a ride back to pick up my car. The van was there in 5 minutes! I would definitely stay here again. The only negative comment would be that they need to fix the ice machine on the second floor!
The rooms were a bit small but have everything you need and the bed was great. The hallways were a bit warm. The breakfast was ok decent selection. The staff were awesome. Was very convenient to stay the night before an early flight. Would stay here again. .
We stayed here because we wanted a hotel close to the airport, and this one was rated well by trip advisor and hotel.com. I have to say, it is extremely close to the airport. Very convenient. So close that the planes fly right over the hotel! The rooms are small, but updated and clean. Our king bed was one of the most comfortable on our trip! The breakfast buffet opened at 4am, and was actually a step above most. I wouldn't stay here for a casual stay...but would highly recommend for flying out of the Rochester airport.
First, if you want to sleep under the runway, this is the place. I woke up on every flight coming into the airport. Slow internet, small room, small TV, bad reception, moldy shower, poor breakfast. Not what I expect from a Best Western hotel. My advice: stay somewhere else.
The bed was super comfy and the AC worked great. The bathroom sink unit was a bit odd; it was a bit oversized for the bathroom. In fact, the room was also a bit cramped. Overall the room was clean, but the bathroom door was stained and spotted. Still, the comfy bed and strong AC made for a good stay. I would stay again and would recommend to others.
Dated, old and not up to my expectations. Bathroom has holes in the wall. Furniture is very old. Upside, free parking while we are gone. Very small room. My husband and I cannot pass at the same time between the end of the bed and the tv. Staff is pleasant and friendly.
Thread-bare. Terrible Internet. Rubber eggs and microwave bacon for breakfast. Bath towels are 10 threads per inch and about the size of a dis cloth. Water stains on ceiling. Nothing within safe walking distance.
Parking was adequate. Easy to find. Check in & out was fast and courteous. Were given a bag, each containing a bottled water and a bag of pretzels. Upgraded to a suite [Rm. 102?]. Fairly quiet. Could hit the airport with a rock. Kept hearing a "Whooshing" noise early in the evening. Upon looking out the widow, saw that planes were landing right over the hotel. Noise from landings were negligible. Take offs may be a whole different story, if they use the opposite direction runway. Had our own transportation, so didn't use the shuttle. Nothing around hotel except rental car parking lots, so you might be stranded without a car. Suite consisted of a sofa bed and closet in an adjoining room. Decided I would sleep in there to watch some late night TV. No spare bed linens for sofa bed, so had to strip regular bed and make up sofa bed. Typical sofa bed= Sagged in the middle and had a bar across the frame at shoulder level, under the mattress. Could still be felt. Pretty uncomfortable. Spouse complained that there was no hot water in bathroom sink. On investigation, found hot water pipe had been turned off at valve under sink. Then when using the "C" tap, it would continue to run if closed to the faucet stop. Had to back it off to stop flow of water. Now I know why it had been turned off under the sink. Sink stopper wouldn't seal and leaked out the sink water several times while shaving. Seems like a real waste of water. Usual continental breakfast + waffle iron + eggs & sausage. Pretty small dining area, divided into 2 rooms. I believe breakfast started serving at 4 AM, but no noise and we were the 1st room off the lobby. When we left, discovered the room number on the outside wall had fallen off and was lying in the hall. Maybe an OK place if you need to catch a flight, but I certainly wouldn't choose it as a destination hotel.
Stayed for two nights with friends, the rooms were clean and tidy albeit a little small but this is typical of airport location hotels. This was a base for us as meeting with friends who live in the area so ideal for meeting people and getting about. The staff were particularly friends. Breakfast buffet was basic but an okay start to the day. Would stay again if in the area and needed a hotel.
This hotel is very convenient to the Rochester airport. It is a newly remodeled Best-Western. The bathroom was rather small, but other than that everything was like new. The front desk and shuttle driver service was very good.
love staying at this best western. the staff is excellent and the accomodations are very good. The 4am through 930am breakfast really fits my schedule. I highly recommend this hotel. I look forward to every stay at this Best Western!
The hotel just experienced renovations, some of which were still going on in the lobby. The rooms were great though, nice big bed, very clean looking. The ac worked great and there are a few little places within walking distance where you can enjoy dinner.
My flight was cancelled so my friend booked me a room at this hotel. They had a shuttle to the airport and because they were so close, the shuttle picked me up quickly. The young lady at the front desk, Chelsea, was very polite and accomodatimg. She was well acquainted with the area and her recommendation for Chinese for supper was spot on. The rooms and overall decor is very modern. Honestly expected worse in the room than I found! Full breakfast buffet starts at 4am so you don't have to miss out on breakfast and the shuttle starts at 4 as well. I've worked at a few hotels rated at number 1 in the city I live in and would be proud to work here based on the service and amenities I was witness to. Thank you, Chelsea and staff, for being the bright spot in a dull situation!
I stayed here for four days in May. Hotels in the Rochester area are, for some reason, overpriced. This was the most reasonably priced for the price I paid. The area around the sink for toiletries was very small. The stopper in the sink would not stay closed when I used the plunger, a common problem in many hotels. The shower head is set so high that only a center in the NBA would be capable of reaching it to adjust it. The breakfast selection was good and varied somewhat each day. The seating area for breakfast is way too small (there is an additional seating area away from the lobby but some people may not see it). The room was clean and comfortable. No noise emanating from other rooms. Staff was professional.
This hotel was available when our original arrangements were unacceptable at 3:00 AM. The staff was helpful, courteous and kind. The breakfast was far better than you would expect. The hotel was clean and comfortable.
Very clean, friendly people and close to everything in Rochester. Traveling for work, this hotel was easy to find and close to the main highway in Rochester. The only downside is that is very close to the airport with a lot of traffic
Spent a night due to an early morning flight. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were able to leave our car there for the duration of our trip. We were shuttled to and from the airport with the return shuttle dropping us off right at our car. I would recommend this hotel.
1) Hotel less than five minutes from airport. We waited a good thirty from time of call to arrival of shuttle. 2) Hotel decor very old and in need of update. Felt like we were back in the 80s and 90s. BUT in Room 114 the bedroom area was modern and nicely decorated. Most important detail to note: bed is KING size and mattress GOOD. So if you only stay one night and forget the awful and depressing interior between entrance and hotel room, you will at least get a good nights sleep and that's paramount. 3) BATHROOM upon first sight ok but put together very cheaply! And on closer inspection long hair pieces around bath area were present from previous guest. So we didn't trust that the rest of the room or hotel was cleaned with attention to detail ! Sigh. 4) if you wish to take a relaxing bath, forget it. No bath stopper and staff could not find any on site. That's the fault of owner and management though, not staff. 5) If you are disabled book another hotel. The elevator no longer works/no longer in use and there are four steps up to first floor. 6) Breakfast looked nicely presented though inspected only very briefly. Egg, sausage, toast, pastries, fruit, oatmeal, cereals. P.S. Staff were helpful but need training in the finer points of hospitality and customer service. It's not fair to drop people into positions untrained or poorly trained. The cleaners need teaching how to clean thoroughly! The CEO needs to pay attention to its franchises because places like this will give the chain a bad name.
Def recommend staying here. Great staff and very affordable rates. Better than the Marketplace location. Cookies and breakfast were also a great addition. The shuttle is also convenient for those coming from the airport.
Stayed here over a weekend, finding the motel clean, with a good buffet breakfast, but definitely substandard amenities compared to the usual Best Western facilities. We arrived on the outskirts of Rochester Airport mid-afternoon and apparently got the last two single rooms in this 60 room motel. Our introduction to the motel was a booming jetliner immediately overhead as we stepped into the small lobby. Check-in was prompt and courteous at a counter that was smaller than an airport rental car place. Our two rooms were clean, but small and Spartan, with two Queen beds on thin mattresses with a cramped closet and smallish bathroom. All basic amenities, but clean. Overhead, we seemed to be directly under the flight path of incoming planes that roared above about every 15 minutes. Sleep was difficult account planes that went overhead until about midnight and then resumed the next morning about 7 AM. Noisy guests in an adjoining room didn't help. Breakfast consisted of waffles or eggs and bacon plus the usual toast and donuts. Nothing to complain about here, but an adjacent eating room contained only two standard tables and two elevated tables. I use a walker to get about and found the high tables to be difficult to sit at. Normal seating was already taken by previous guests. Would recommend this place to anyone needing to stay adjacent to the airport, but it is definitely a poor cousin to other Best Western motels. One final note. We drove north on I-390 to Brooks Avenue, but found we could not turn west to the motel at the end of the I-390 ramp. Instead a short drive the wrong direction and a U-turn solved the problem. Coming south on I-390. no such problem exists.
The hotel was both convenient and reasonable. The front desk and shuttle personnel were extremely helpful and informative. The room was clean and comfortable. A very good hotel to stay at especially for an early flight out of Rochester Airport.
We were here for a very short one night stay while attending an event in the area. Hotel lobby and rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was good, although the seating area was a bit tight for the number of people staying in the hotel. Our room was a bit odd, as it was one of 4 rooms in a building not connected to the building with the lobby, but it was still a comfortable stay. I'm not sure if the rooms in the two buildings are the same, but ours was a little on the small side (especially the bathroom). Given that we stayed for free with BW Rewards points, this wasn't an issue for us. The parking lot fills up quickly due to offering parking during flights, and we had to park on the vacant lot next to the hotel. It would be nice if those leaving their cars for long periods of time parked in that area so that guests staying in the hotel could park closer to the hotel entrances. Overall, an adequate stay, especially since we didn't pay anything.
My family and I stayed here using the park, sleep, fly package. We arrived on a Thursday night, parked the car, easily checked into the hotel and found ourselves in a crowded but clean hotel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and despite being busy and next to the airport the room was very quiet. With airport shuttles leaving on demand we easily made our flight the next morning. Parking and sleeping here was less expensive than parking in the airport lot for a week. Plus, when our flight was delayed by 2 days on our return there was absolutely no hassle at all from the hotel. Upon arrival at the airport I made a call to the hotel for pickup and they were literally there in 10 minutes. So easy!
Yes the hotel is kind of in the flight path. Luckily ROC isn't very busy and they are smaller jets - either way it's walk-able from the airport and they have turned a once dumpy outdated hotel into a beautiful stylish place to stay. Did I mention they have fresh baked cookies for when you return to the hotel late at night? And the continental breakfast is great! There is limited parking and as I mentioned - there is a bit of jet noise but it's one of the best deals in town and I highly recommend considering it for your next trip to Rochester.
Very nice hotel for the purpose of early morning flight, Staff was excellent at hotel. The shuttle was great for dinner the night before and early morning ride to ROC. Will defintely stay again. Great price!
We spent 1 night at this facility before an early flight. The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren't great - very lumpy. I ended up using my sweater as a pillow! There is plane noise because the hotel is directly in the flight path. The good thing is that the airport isn't busy after 11 pm. The breakfast was fine for getting the day started. We had a quick shuttle ride to the airport. Very convenient because we left our car at the hotel & were picked up by the shuttle upon our return. We'd do this again.
This is the second time we have used the park, stay and ride to the airport service. Very early morning flight and a very late return. Staff was courteous, helpful and overall great. Room was clean, bed comfortable and wide variety of breakfast options. They do a great job!
We stay at this hotel everytime we fly out for a trip for a variety of reasons. Our last trip was 9 days to Cancun. We left our car there for the entire trip at no cost which is great. The free 1 mile shuttle is very convenient and we have never waited. This trip our flight arrived at midnite and Victoria was there in 5 minutes. We were standing in the wrong area for pick up and Victoria got out of the van in freezing weather and walked to find us. When I wasn't looking she also loaded up our exremely heavy luggage. At check in we were greeted by Alyssa. Fast, friendly, professional and very funny. Room is a liitle small, but had everytrhing we needed, Clean and comfortable bed. The free breakfast was great. Add all this to a incredibly low room rate and we will see you on our trip.
Stayed here 1 night for a business meeting the next day. The rooms appeared to be updated recently and beds were comfortable although room size was a little on the smaller size but still not tiny. Employees were very friendly and talkative. Breakfast in the morning was adequate and well stocked. Would stay here again if I was in the area--can't beat the price without sacrificing quality.
Anyone anticipating an affordable night's sleep on the airport glide path will be pleasantly surprised. Room dimensions are smaller than average, particularly in the bathroom. However, the room is modern and clean and found just as pictured on the hotel website. I never heard a plane take off. I only heard arrivals and these are low volume and very brief events that trail off in the evening. Not a disturbance for me at all. There is no disadvantage to not being in the center of Rochester. Everything is literally minutes away. You leave from and return to a calm and lightly traveled zone with no foot traffic. Two entrances to the interstate and a straight line to WalMart and restaurants all terminate at this Best Western. A great way to start and end every foray. You'll find it convenient to return in minutes for a nap or to get another jacket. The breakfast bar is spotless and just about as good as any and the fare rotates daily. The staff were all normal, pleasant and helpful people. I used the shuttle to get to a restaurant and then to return to the airport to get a rental, again to return the rental and again to catch my flight out. This is free but I tipped. So glad I took a chance on this unlikely combination. Lodging in Rochester can be expensive downtown. They say June and September are the months to visit. The Eastman House is great. Mt. Hope Cemetery - to actually absorb it would take several days - wonderful. St. Michael's Catholic church is one of a kind though the area is a bit sketchy. Amazing stained glass. Call em, they'll show it to you. My iPhone Maps app worked perfectly.
I would have checked "fair" if available. Entrance lobby, location to airport was great. Check in easy but not personable. When we informed staff about our room concerns they were very concerned and apologetic. Problems were: Room reeked of tobacco smell, like a pipe tobacco. Toilet handle hanging out of tank. We lifted lid and tightened the nut. Colder water handle completely turned around in its place preventing us from turning off water. We did slow it to a drip. Bed was very comfortable. Checkout easy and friendly. Clerk was very upset about our experience.
I stayed at this location from March 25-27. The room was very clean and quiet. The decor was modern and the hotel staff was was extremely friendly. I stay at Best Westerns all over the country for extended periods of time and this is one of the better airport locations that I've stayed at. Great for business travelers who will be in and out of town for a few days.
I had a snow cancellation of my flight and just didn't want to pay the cost for a second night at the Fairfield at the airport. I found this Best Western which has a shuttle to the airport and I'm very pleased I did. I considering BW a very-budget chain and only the Trip Advisor rating being so high made me check them out. The staff was great during the snow emergency (and now on my most recent trip as well). Even just little things like sharing a snack they had with me, and making sure my car had a place to park OK with the snow. The room is about 30% less expensive compared to my normal favorite Hampton, and they matched my Hampton/Hilton rewards level, have a business program, and some discount bonus deals. On my last trip I was given a 'suite' room, which I wouldn't have expected at a more budget hotel. It had a second room, pull-out bed, second TV, etc. Nice bonus for my stay. I rely on decent internet and it has worked well for me (I'm a photographer and need to deliver photos online). I really like that the log-in never threw me off their system during my 3 day stay (it often does at most other hotels). Also, the breakfast has been great, hot, plentiful and keep up until the end time. The coffee is decent too. It feels like this BW at least has studied what I love about Hampton and duplicated it at a discount. I've already booked multiple future stays at this location, and I'm much more likely now to consider a BW in another city.
We spend a night at the Best Western Inn at the Rochester N. Y. Airport. At checkout, the desk clerk helped us get our boarding passes printed and went out of her way to be helpful. We left the Inn and took a cab back into town, only to discover I'd left my wallet near the checkout counter The clerk found it and held it until I could get there. Thank you for your courtesy and professionalism!
Excellent price, great location, would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again. Very close to airport, right under the path to the landing runway but not too much disruptive traffic. You can park your car here at hotel if you are flying from here.
Excellent hotel, very clean, friendly helpful employees, excellent breakfast, good variety, fresh and hot. Fresh baked cookies available was a great treat. We had secure parking for the week we were gone, excellent shuttle service. It only took 5 minutes to get to terminal and we were dropped off at exact airline ticket counter entrance. Friendly help with luggage. Prompt response and pick up with hotel shuttle upon return and taken right to our parked car on hotel property. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.
We recently booked a Park and Fly at this facility as we were arriving home very late at night. During our vacation my husband had an accident and ended up coming home with casts on both legs. I cannot stress enough how great it was to work with both Chris and Alyssa throughout this time. Chris changed my reservation a couple of times, helped me make arrangements for some one to put a wheelchair in my car, and let us have a late check out as we had to wait for a friend to come and get us.. Alyssa made sure we had an accessible room that met our needs and helped sort out the challenge of getting both my husband and our luggage settled, This was the first time we stayed at this facility since the reservation. Our room and common areas were clean and well kept up. We won't hesitate to stay again.
Very convenient to airport. Excellent accommodating staff, nice hot breakfast with real scrambled eggs and tasty crisp bacon. The WiFi was easy to access and high speed! This is a modest, even frugal hotel. Do not expect luxury. Simply convenience.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was very nice and newly refurbished. Breakfast was awesome....real bacon and scrambled eggs, homemade waffles, great coffee bar, and all the trimmings.
Stayed one night on the park and fly program. We were upgrade to suite. Check in went great and the shuttle service was very good. Very good value , considering that parking alone at airport is 6$ per day. Would highly recommend staying here when flying out of ROC.
We have stayed here a number of times due to the convenience and ease of parking and being close to the airport. They have recently remodeled and it is very nice and comfortable. We didn't get the adjoining rooms we were promised but the front desk staff was very helpful in getting us a comfortable and better alternative and was very sweet. The shuttle to and from the airport is seamless and very easy. They make the whole time great.
This is not my first time here and wont be our last. Best park and fly value in Rochester. Parking lot is a little small for the amount of cars there for park and fly. Can leave car there for up to 6 months.
This was a great hotel, we are flying for a 3 week vacation, and the park, stay and fly opinion works great. The hotel staff were great and friendly. The breakfast was good, Lots of food, eggs bacon, waffles fruit juice coffee, and many other items. The cost of the hotel was less than the cost if I left the car at the airport. Will use this hotel again.
We always come here whenever we fly out of Rochester, NY - it's a great deal, for the price of our room: we stay overnight, get breakfast in the morning, get taken to the airport for our flight, get picked up when we return, and they keep our car for the duration of our trip - how can you not beat that?!!!!
We found this hotel to be very convenient and reasonably priced. They have a park and fly option that allows you to leave your car at the hotel instead of the airport. The staff was very good and transportation to and back from the airport is provided. They don't have a restaurant or bar on the premises. I would stay there again.
It was a bit of a rocky start at the Best Western, but thanks to the excellent and understanding service we received from front desk clerk Chelsea, we have nothing but rave reviews. It Seems the on line booking, and the air mile points booking, was a little bit more restrictive and costly than we had hoped for. No sooner did We voice our displeasure, did we find ourselves upgraded in our room and our Park, Sleep, Fly payment was reduced. The Best Western on Buell Rd. Is newly acquired and tastefully decorated. We did'n't hear one single plane all night which guaranteed a good night's sleep. Loved the airport drop off and pick up service and appreciate the night clerk warming the van before picking us up at Midnight. All in all- a great place to stay at a reasonable rate.
Check in desk was a big help! Room was nice. Breakfast was good. Free ride to and from airport. Internet worked well. Overall everything went well. 0123456789 ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ - Still more words needed????
Arrived at Rochester Airport after midnight and was picked up by the shuttle bus. Driver was friendly, room and facilities were simple but comfortable. I think this is perfect for awkward arrival or departure times.
Nice, comfortable hotel for the traveler thru New York State, with very very efficient, and super CLEAN rooms with all the amenities for a good night's sleep. Highly recommend this hotel for the business traveler, the morning breakfast nook and coffee were superb and an added bonus to the stay.
We come here several times a year whenever we need to fly out of the Rochester Airport - for the price of our room, we get our room, breakfast, a ride to the airport, pick-up when we return, and they keep our car for the duration of our trip. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It is one of the greatest values out there and we will continue to come back.
I have stayed at this hotel several times with friends and family prior to and after traveling. The staff is excellent and service to and from airport exceptional. We experienced a vehicle breakdown on way to hotel. Called the desk and staff person helped arrange vehicle repair while we were on vacation. Vehicle was in their parking lot, repaired when we arrived back from vacation. Staff went above and beyond!!
This hotel is right across the street from the Rochester airport exit and allows you parking for the time away at no cost as long as you stay there one night which can add up to big savings. The staff are pleasant and welcoming, but we did find the room with the king size bed a bit cramped with a small washroom. We did notice across the hall the rooms with two beds were larger. I would ask for one of these rooms next time Breakfast items were varied each day and cookies and coffee available during the day.. We had a small problem with the tv and that was handled promptly even thoug it was late.
Chelsea was absolutely outstanding during our stay. To begin with, she welcomed us warmly, had fresh baked cookies for us, and walked us through the Park & Fly process. In addition, she helped us print our plane tickets and suggested a place to eat that evening. All the while, she engaged us in conversation and really made us feel welcome. When we returned from our trip, she picked us up from the airport in the shuttle, helped us with our bags, talked with us about our trip, and brought us more cookies as well. When our car wouldn't start, she immediately went to grab her jumper cables and car in order to help us get on the road. By that point, we were absolutely exhausted, but her positive attitude helped us laugh through the situation.
Staff was pleasant and very willing to accommodate, breakfast was amazing, not expecting the variety. Very conveinient to the airport., would stay again if traveling through Rochester. Staff was friendly and always available.
A pleasant stay, close and very convenient to the Rochester, NY airport. Staff is very helpful. Parking is provided for the length of your stay away if you stay one night going and one night on your return. Free shuttle to the airport when ever needed.
One of the best stays I have ever experienced, business or pleasure! The staff was professional, very helpful, most friendly, and one of the best. Without doubt I would stay at this Best Westerr again and try others.
I ended up at the Best Western after my flight from Rochester was canceled. The Fairfield Inn near the airport was priced at $165, the Best Western at $80, so I thought I'd try the Best Western. Tiny, tiny, tiny, but an OK place for a one night stay. The room and bathroom remind me of NYC rooms, where you can reach the wall from either side of the king bed. The bathroom barely has room for a vanity, and it's a squeeze to sit on the toilet. The breakfast area is small, too, with the usual BW fare. Good coffee. That said, the staff were all very nice and welcoming, from the van driver to the front desk clerk to the breakfast attendant. The AC was quiet, there was ample hot water, the bed was comfortable, and the wi-fi was fast enough. This hotel would not be my destination, but it served fine in a pinch.
This was another great stay at a Best Western. It is very convenient to the airport, maybe a little too close because it sounded like the room was right under the flight path. The room was very nice and I found the staff to be particularly friendly and helpful. The woman who checked me in left the desk (even though she was the only one there) to come get me at the airport in a light snow) Breakfast was good with a big selection.
breakfast was surprisingly good for a help yourself continental. they had a waffle maker! but the room seemed old. there was a heavily stained chair in the room that i was surprised to see. otherwise, great place. would stay again
For what this hotel cost, it was not a great place to stay. The bathroom in the room was very small. We all have bruises on our arms from hitting the sink because it was so close. Breakfast was ok on Saturday but Sunday, they ran out of stuff and didn't restock. people were complaining and the staff was irritable and rude. Also, the breakfast area was very small and crowded. The parking lot was poorly designed also. they keep the hotel van in the way and if someone is checking in or packing their car, you can't get through til they move their car. We won't be returning to this hotel.
We visit Rochester about once a year, and our daughter lives near the airport, so the Best Western is one of the few motels that are available to us. It has been adequate, but even with the improvements that were made a few years ago, it's just okay. The bathroom is dated, tiny sink, and the carpet was dirty. Otherwise, comfortable bed, good housekeeping, good breakfasts and surprisingly quiet being so close to the airport.
We booked this hotel on our return to the UK so we could get an extra hours sleep before the long journey home. On arrival the receptionist was really helpful and asked when our flight was so she could book us a shuttle over to the airport the next morning. The room was not massive but we were only there for one night. It was clean, comfortable and had a fridge. It is an airport hotel and we were there on a Sunday night!! No restaurants close by but the hotel runs a FREE shuttlebus so we headed off to Applebee's when we were finished we called the hotel and they fetched us back!! We had an excellent nights sleep. There are a couple of computers for use. Breakfast - self service, plenty of choice. Waffles, cereals, pastries, bacon and egg, toast, muffins etc
Needed a reasonably priced place expensive weekend (U of R Meliora weekend) . This met our criteria: clean, comfortable enough, inexpensive, inconvenient to the university. Rooms were a bit small, but fine. Breakfast was standard for this level hotel: cereal, bread, muffins, hard-boiled eggs and a waffle machine. Only real complaint is that the hotel is effectively on the runway of the airport, and we could hear planes landing until one in the morning, then arriving by around 8:30 AM. I guess that comes with staying at an airport hotel, so we are not complaining, just noting. staff was friendly, place was otherwise just fine.
Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful, got back to hotel late on return and when I asked about food being delivered to hotel was given a lot of different place to pick from. Breakfast in the morning was very good a nice selection to pick from.
I stay here every month. I love it and will continue to stay here. This place is overall the BEST Best Western in upstate NY. No one likes staying near the airport but this one is very nice and great for business trips. Only been here on business. Staff is always friendly and pleasant to deal with. The rooms are very clean and updated.
This was an excellent property. The place has been upgraded and it is obvious. The air conditioner was the most quite running appliance we have experienced in 20 days on the road. The staff called within 20 minutes of our arrival in our room to ask if everything was ok. So I would give this property high mark for the comfort of the bed, the speed of the internet, and the quality of the breakfast. I do however, agree the room was crowded and the bathroom was short on shelf space but I would gladly stay here again.
We stayed here while we were touring Rochester Institute of Technology. The hotel is close to the University, which made it ideal for our stay. Room was nice sized, though the bathroom was a little small.
this hotel is situated next to rochester airport and we first selected it for the free parking. But although there are others in the area we always select this one if we fly out or ROC . The free parking is also a great thing.
