Don't stay anywhere else in Reno for the best experience. Pretty good casino, definitely worth having some good entertaining fun. Good food, not far from Virginia City which is also a must. If I didn't live so far, I would go again and again. Nice pools too….
This hotel is definitely a resort and it has all of those features: A big spa, a huge swimming pool, a big fitness center, several good restaurants and a huge casino. There are also meeting rooms and a ballroom, so one could spend a lot of time here. My room was very comfortable and I enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. My only complaint is that there are floodlights on the building at night and it is hard to get the room to be dark as the light creeps in.
Very clean rooms and restrooms. Had to pay over 200.00 resort fee for nothing other than a shuttle to take us to the airport. No shuttles to take us anywhere. Gauged us for everything. 2 sodas and 2 candy bars over 25.00. A trial sized hairspray 15.00. No great places to eat. was truly disappointed. just bring a wallet full of money.
I wasn't sure what to think of the hotel at first. It is located right in the middle of a not-so-great neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised how amazing the staff were and the quality of the food served in the dining areas. They make their own breads!!! We are not gamblers so the smoke filled casino wasn't appealing for us but it was packed with people having a good time. They have two pool and and great gym! The rooms were spacious and clean. Showers could use an update. We only ventured out of the hotel to go to Lake Tahoe and that was wonderful!
I (and 13,000 other locals) was evacuated from my home due to multiple wildfires this week. The Peppermill offered incredible special rates to us, even waiving resort fees. The staff have been incredibly kind & understanding and the room is clean, luxurious and 100% satisfactory. Thank you for your hospitality, Peppermill Resort!
I was a victim of the Bug fire this past weekend, 8/2026. I only heard about this generous discount for us fire victims by a neighbor while staying at a Red Cross center. No one knew how long we would stay evacuated. I made reservations for that same Sunday 8/9 to check in & asked to stay until Wed. 8/12. The room was quiet, classy, calming, clean, PARADISE. I had been keeping my shock to myself & here I could atleast now unwind. Fortunately, the fire passed pretty quickly and I saw checking my phone at 8 p.m., local sheriffs allowing evacuees to come back home. Reading this, I couldn't wait to get back home! I went to check out & briefly mentioned my name & situation. This rep excused herself, then came back. She said, "You owe $0." Overall, I was able to get a nap, & walk around downtown...to unwind. I am SO GRATEFUL to The Peppermill management and their kind and professional people! I broke down then and cried. The kindness of strangers is beyond all words. Thank you Peppermill employees and owners !!
We stay here often & have been trying different rooms whenever possible. This visit we stayed in the Deluxe King Steam Shower on the 4th floor for a night. The bed was very comfortable, pillows & blankets standard but nice. There was an extra pillow and blanket in the closet. The room had nice extras like a little table & 2 chairs, a safe, coffee maker & a make up mirror. There's a full length mirror outside the bathroom, but I wish there was an outlet near it. The steam shower is great, it has a bench, regular shower head plus 2 adjustable body sprays. The overhead shower pressure isn't very strong, the body sprays were stronger. Our view was of one of the pools. We ordered room service, which arrived in about 30 minutes. We eat in the cafe about once a month & enjoy the food, but this may have come from another kitchen. The scrambled eggs were runny, hashbrowns undercooked & the little muffins were soggy. The toast & coffee were what we ate out of the meal. It was a nice touch that they bring you coffee in a carafe so it stays nice & hot, and the cream & waters were in a bucket of ice. We love room service, so we will give it another try but different food next time.
Another 5 star stay at the Peppermill! Hubby and I were there with friends to celebrate a friend's 20th wedding anniversary. We had a great time! Enjoyed the restaurants, the spa and had a great time in the casino. Lots of fun stuff to do in and around Reno. It was great having the Peppermill as our home base for the week.
We travel to Peppermill every year from Texas and have always received outstanding service. Our suite is always nice with attentive daily maid service, and first-class treatment from all the staff. I request a room with the steamshower every visit and they make it happen. ❤️
The security at this casino is top of the line idiots. They use a I technology and if you look like somebody they have trespass , they will take you to jail instead! And of course , Reno police department is the dumbest of the dumb. Reno PD will not do any kind of investigation and try to charge you without a legitimate charge just because you look like someone else!
Avoid this place if you're looking for decent service. Checked into the room, luggage holder was broken. Finally got replaced after maybe an hour which held us up. Coffee maker didn't work the next morning, was NEVER replaced so no coffee. They work with Best Western Hotels but won't tell you that and won't give you the Best Western point for the stay if you don't originally book the stay using your Best Western membership. And, of course, being a casino resort EVERYTHING is over-priced and many of the many areas you're going to walk through STINK of smoke. Yes, the room was OK (other than things being broken) and reasonably priced but that's the limit of the good I can say about this place.
Horrible. Abysmal customer service throughout this property. Long wait at check - in, broken kiosks - nice, zero maid service they will absolutely NOT clean your room, they will absolutely not care when you complain directly to house-keeping or the front desk. The lack of management and customer care is shocking.
We stayed at The Peppermill in April and we hadn't stayed in 10+ years. We were in a deluxe room in the Peppermill tower. We used self check-in which was relatively easy and the employee assisting in that area was very friendly. Room was very clean and quiet, everything was in good condition. We ate there at the coffee shop and the Chinese restaurant and always had good service. We enjoyed the casino the most and did mange to win on a few slots!
Exelent stay my third time visiting and staying here and no complains, everything is great ,great coffe shops, restaurants and machines ,but please bring Spanish 21 at the tables .
Signed up solely to say this: Peppermill deserves the hype—and then some. This place is, without question, the best casino hotel in Reno. The Tuscan-inspired aesthetics, the unmistakably addictive signature scent (seriously—bottle it), and the luxurious vibe make you wonder why you'd stay anywhere else. Simply put: second to none. The table games here are the best in town—$10 limits, liberal rules, and genuinely wonderful dealers. And then there's Bernadette. Professional, sharp, courteous—and effortlessly charming—she runs a packed table with ease, makes everyone feel like a regular, and somehow convinces you to stay longer than you planned. I keep coming back to Peppermill as much for the people as the place—and dealers like Bernadette are a big reason why. Best casino hotel in Reno? Not even a debate.
Peppermint is so awesome, beautiful rooms ,great service, Sea Food dinner was so delicious 😋, Big Wall Screens all over ,Loved
Don't go to this casino unless you want their Ai software to accuse you wrongfully of being someone else!! I guess if you want to get paid for having years of your life ruined by garbage software then you should go.
Did a wonderful job at arresting my best mate due to an error with AI, didn't apologize, just treated him like crap
The Peppermill is located in Reno Nevada where you can smell the pines from the Sierra mountains with the winter snow. It is by far one of my favorite casinos in Reno with the high-class service and friendly staff. The place is like being at home with friends. Anything you need just ask, they can provide or point you to someone who can help you get what you need. Their VIP service is exceptional, one of the cleanest hotels around. We enjoyed steaks and sushi at their restaurants inside and stayed through the weekend adding another day in order to enjoy their 5-star spa. We found a deal online that gave us a great value upgrading to their bar suite and it was on one of the top floors, so it was nice and quiet when we wanted to relax in our room. The sports book area had a top selection of cocktails and appetizers available. The rewards membership helped us to get great deals on our food and more! Make sure to sign up before you gamble. One of the widest selections available for choosing. I give it five stars all around.
Probably the best Reno has to offer.... Location a short 10 minute drive from the airport the Peppermill will remind you of some of the Vegas greats. It's like the Venetian and Bellagio had a baby. I visit the Peppermill once a year. The rooms are always comfortable. They're always clean. Always quiet. The staff is helpful. Ultimately while it's more expensive than other casino resorts in Reno, it's worth the delta. Their onsite restaurants are just fine. I've eaten at all of them except for the brunch place. The steakhouse is solid. The Chinese place is good too. Their SPA is NEXT LEVEL it's three or four floors of relaxation. I finally visited it on this last trip and unfortunately I realized I could have spent all day in there. Next time I'll plan accordingly.
We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Peppermill Resort. The restaurants and slots were all great! The room was fabulous. We were in the Tuscan tower and had lots of towels and very quiet. We would stay here again for sure!
The Peppermill was lovely. The spa was amazing and the food was good. We had a rocky start because of flight delays and getting in after midnight our room was given away. They got us into a room that night and the next day our casino host fixed us up in a great corner room with a steam shower and a good view. In the end she ended up comping our rooms and most of our food. They more than made up for the mistake. We will be visiting again. Patrick and Marci E
We stay one nigth, but this is a nice and clean hotel, good coffee Shop, and many types of restaurantes. Nice casino, good and free parking lot.
The Peppermill offers a ton of fun, lots of restaurants to pick from and a large spacious suite to stay in. The view from the top flours of their Tuscan tower is amazing. If you like watching planes come and go you can sit in your suite and watch them all day ling, then go down in the evening for dinner and some gambling fun.
Playing Craps when the AI pitboss matched my face to a previous tresspasser, switfly illegally detained, cops called, who thought their software was "pretty cool" and my ID must be fake because I have an insider at the DMV. Idiots
I usually stay at another large hotel but this time I decided to try Peppermill and I was more than impressed with the resort! I have never experienced such a well equiped gym, the size and amount of equipment and free weights was like my gym at home, plus it had a steam room and locker room, bottled water, and plenty of towels. Public restrooms throughout the resort were spotlessly clean! The food at the various restaurants were superb, this was another reason why I wanted to try staying here! The steakhouse staff was amazing and the taste and quality of the food was A+. Make sure you make a reservation as they fill up fast! It is no wonder that AAA rated them with 4 diamonds
The king suite and the Tuscany Tower and Peppermill Tower are just beautiful. Very, very spacious and luxurious. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
My sister and I do a Girls weekend every few months in Reno. We always make an appointment with our favorite hair stylist at Toscana Spa at the Peppermill. If your looking for an amazing hair cut, color, or highlight go see Eddie Gormick at the Toscana Spa. You'll ge hooked like we did.
Huge casino, smoky, focused on slots. Went to two of their restaurants, just ok. Well equipped gym, but no windows. Pool area is not private or secluded, lots of people walking by looking at you. Arcade on site. Room was huge. Fake fire place - no flame or heat. Fridge (empty). Bed was comfy. Shower could have used more pressure, but fine. Free parking, efficient check in and out. Was there for a conference, otherwise I would probably go elsewhere.
I'm a long-time guest at the Peppermill, and my mother is a Chairman member — the highest tier of loyalty, reserved for top players. She has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars here over the years, and most recently over $40,000 in just three days. Unfortunately, the level of service we experienced during our most recent visit was shockingly poor and completely unacceptable for a resort of this caliber. While playing blackjack, my mother tipped a dealer, who responded with a rude facial expression and zero appreciation. When I politely spoke up, the dealer snapped back at me and escalated the situation instead of showing even basic professionalism. Things became so tense that a pit boss had to intervene, and while he apologized and comped 50 points to my mother and boyfriend's cards, he strangely didn't add any to mine. But the worst part was the interaction with the general manager, Fred Gonzalez. When we tried to calmly discuss what happened, he approached us with visible annoyance and condescension. His exact words were, “What do you want me to do, fire her right now?” — an incredibly unprofessional and sarcastic remark, especially toward a Chairman guest. Instead of listening or trying to make things right, he was defensive, dismissive, and acted as if we were inconveniencing him. For a resort that prides itself on luxury service, this behavior is inexcusable. The staff clearly needs retraining on how to treat their highest-tier guests — or frankly, any guest — with respect and professionalism. After years of loyalty, my family and I will no longer be gambling or staying at the Peppermill. We'll be taking our business to Atlantis, where guests are treated with genuine courtesy and appreciation. It's truly disappointing to see such a decline in hospitality from what used to be one of Reno's premier resorts.
Don't even bother. Get thee straight to Atlantis. Came here for a trip with my mom, and they put us in a 1980's smoking room in the North Tower with stained carpets, bad lighting and a creaky shower. For the same price, we got a beautiful new room at the Atlantis with 1000% better service and ambiance. Do not stay at the Peppermill if you can get a room at the Atlantis.
We usually love the Peppermill so we planned our anniversary weekend here. The week before our trip, I tried calling the spa to purchase a gift for my husband many, many times. They never answer the phones! I left multiple messages for a callback - never happened, called the front desk and they couldn't get through. The day we arrived, I waited at the entry for the spa to open and met the Spa Director. She was quite nice and "would look into it". Never heard from her either. Sadly, they had no openings and we went to the Atlantis where we spent almost $1000 on a couples package. Never again will I give Peppermill Spa my business.
Stayed 3 nights for a business conference in September in a single King room. The room was clean, bed super comfortable with several pillows to choose from, a closet for hanging clothes, plenty of drawers for storage, and a nice large bench to keep my belongings organized. The bathroom was a nice size with plenty of towels, a blow dryer and a shower that had the best water pressure!! The room is equipped with an alarm clock, plenty of charging capabilities and a mini fridge. There are plenty of elevators that move quickly - never a wait. We ate at Milano and Biscotti where menu options were plentiful, food was tasty and waitstaff were great - friendly and attentive. We were up very early each morning and never without coffee/tea/breakfast - the Espresso bar near the lobby is open 24 hours with so many delicious items to choose from, including beautiful pastries, quiche and fresh fruit. The airport shuttles run promptly on a schedule, and shuttles ran constantly to and from the convention center for the business conference. Very convenient! I had one issue upon check in where the bathroom sink stopper was stuck and therefore water would not drain; upon reporting the issue, maintenance was at my door within 10 minutes (maybe less) and fixed it quickly. Weather was spectacular - in the low 80s with 16% humidity! Glorious!
My Husband and I stopped for the night in Reno on our way home from a trip to Yosemite. It had been years since I had been in Reno. We drove down through the old strip, and I was dismayed at the decline of some of the old casinos and hotels. But our approach to the Peppermill was refreshing. Large, and bright and colorful, I felt my mood uplifted. Inside, the Peppermill is expansive and lots of people. I had checked in online the night before and that was really nice. The front desk texted me when our room was ready. We stayed in the North Tower. Our room was a big room with a huge king size bed. Quality furnishings throughout, including the massive bathroom. Lots of towels! I love lots of towels! Clean and quality throughout. We had a lovely dinner, and a fun time in the Casino. Afterwards, we had a goodnight's sleep. It was quiet, and dark. Just what we needed.
We frequent the Peppermill HL room on a weekly basis usually dumping tens of thousands of dollars. In return they send us a laughable amount of freeplay. Like 50 bucks a week. Thats what you offer someone playing 80 cents a spin not $50/ spin like we do. We will be taking our high limit action to Vegas or another Reno property going forward. We don't mind losing as much as we mind being insulted by pathetic promotions all while they hand out 5 grand in free play to low level YouTubers who don't even promote the property.
Great pool area with drinks flowing and plenty of chairs and cabanas. Very comfortable bed nice clean room, plenty of elevators to get you up and down. Great choices for food and quick snacks. Classic casino lots of choices for all types of players. Excellent poker room lots of table and action . A would like to give an extra shout out for going above and beyond for customer service to Brenda in the gift shop, and Sam the waitress in the pool area both women were professional and courteous. Sam made sure are drinks were flowing at all times. Brenda was very polite and helpful in the gift shop. How ever for the rest of staff I dealt with they were walking zombies, the dealers at table game have zero personality. They might want to go to school to learn how to communicate with players, I get it's a job but some casual conversations or a smile goes along way when all you care about is taking the players money. I told both Sam and Brenda they were they nicest people I met for the 2 days we stayed. Made sure to tip sam well. And left Brenda an 18 tip for a mountain dew. All because she said she remembered me from the night before and had a smile on her face. Would recommend staying at peppermil but would go to another casino for gambling.
We went to Hot August Nights for our 7th time. We were going to stay at the Grand Sierra as we had done on previous trips. There was no mention on their website about no car show events at their resort due to ongoing construction. Luckily I found out before going and cancelled my reservation. I knew about and had visited the Peppermill Resort to view cars on previous visits. I called and they still had some rooms in the Peppermill Tower. I was totally impressed and will return again. Everything you need is there and they are fully staffed with great employees. We ate at full service restaurants and had snacks/drinks throughout the resort. Service and quality were above average. Prices were high but it was during Hot August Nights when it seems everybody raises prices. Our room ended up being a ADA room which was fine. We did visit the pool twice during our stay and that was also nice. No overly loud blasting music. The self parking garage had plenty of space. The car show was the best of any of the resorts in Reno/Sparks. Only problem we had was the wifi not working the 1st day of our stay.
My husband and I have stayed here twice this year. We find as that we have gotten older, Vegas is a lot less appealing as a destination for us but we still love to spend time in a casino. We have had so much fun staying here this year and have had a great time in their casino. The restaurants here also provide great options no matter what food mood you're in! The food has been amazing and the service top notch! Both times we stayed the room was incredibly clean which is always most important to me when traveling. We look forward to coming back as soon as we can and have dubbed this our new favorite grown up destination. Highly recommend!
Hotel is nice, staff was accommodating. Resort fee is deceptive and excessive (+$50) which leaves a bad impression. The card table staff behaved like robots and were rude which didn't make my experience enjoyable.
Huge, huge hotel. Not my idea of fun!! Got the car parked, no valet, finally found our room after going to the wrong tower......Huge room and bathroom was nice after the Best Western in Burley, Idaho. Managed to find dinner at the Oceano restaurant. Average seafood. Fish and chips were an 8 out of 10, scallops the same. Entree should arrive after the diners are done with their salads! Poor table location next to the kitchen. We should have said something. Waiter was fine. I'm sure this type of hotel is more for the party type and the type who doesn't get lost in huge surroundings. Give me a 50 unit hotel with front door parking any day! But we thought we'd give it a try. The $50 breakfast was a first.
The rooms and parking garage are going through a remodel so there was some noise and detours that were kind of annoying. The rooms definitely need a makeover as they are outdated. We had to ask every day for shower essentials as they put the bare minimum in the rooms. The pools were nice but could use some cleaning. The gym is clean and nicely equipped. The arcade has been updated but still overpriced.
Our second time coming and staying here and like always we have a very nice time .. Rooms are very comfortable and clean ,we had one issue with our room and the hotel took really good care of us with a nice upgrade suite .the pool area is really nice and you will have a great time ,only thing I will like to see for hotel guests is a valet parking. Variety of coffe shops, restaurants and bars
We had a King Suite in the Peppermill Towers and it was absolute gorgeous. I loved the colors chosen in the room. Very nice counter space with floating shelves and different items of decor on them. Room looked very, very classy. I used to stay at another hotel which I shall not name but in all honesty the Peppermill will be my hotel of choice. Hotel Registration was the best as the young woman help me through the process of self check in. I appreciated her patience as she explained everything to me. Great way to start off the stay here.
Our room in the Peppermill tower was beautifully furnished and designed. They have a great fitness center with steam room, sauna.
I really wanted to give Peppermill Reno 5 stars because the spa service was genuinely wonderful. Unfortunately, everything fell apart on the last day of my trip due to a shockingly bad experience with the front desk and security team. I've never been treated with such disrespect at any hotel in my life. After checking out, I realized I had left my personal pillow in the room. I went to the front desk and asked if someone could let me in or retrieve it for me. Melinda, the front desk staff, flat-out refused because my name wasn't on the reservation—even though my friend who was on the reservation was literally waiting outside and immediately called to give them permission to add my name. Melinda claimed she'd send security to help, but what followed was an unnecessarily aggressive and demeaning ordeal. Bailey from security arrived and treated me like a trespasser. I showed him my ID, explained the situation again, and referenced the conversation with Melinda. He refused to assist in any way—not even to retrieve the pillow himself. Instead, we went in circles for almost 20 minutes while he was rude and dismissive. Eventually, he said we had to go back down to speak to Melinda again. Both of them gaslit me, claiming my friend never called—when in fact, she spoke with both the front desk and housekeeping. What should have been a 5-minute solution turned into a humiliating and frustrating experience because of this hotel's bizarre and inflexible security culture. I was being treated like a criminal over a pillow. Their handling of the situation was not just unprofessional, it was unnecessarily hostile. Both Bailey and Melinda were rude, condescending, and completely devoid of empathy or common sense. It's really sad that such a great spa is attached to a hotel with this kind of staff and security mindset. I left feeling deeply upset and disrespected. I will absolutely never return to the Peppermill, and I can't recommend it to anyone who values basic human decency and competent customer service.
I started going to Eddie at Spa Toscana in April 2025 when my sister and I came into town for girl spa time. I was in desperate need of a haircut and was booked with Eddie. Right away, he made us both feel comfortable and welcomed. I left with the best haircut ever!! Since then I've been coming back monthly. In May, I had color/highlights and now I constantly receive compliments on my hair color, in addition to the ones I've already been receiving on the style. I highly recommend Eddie! Treat yourself to an amazing experience that will stay with you long after you leave!!
We haven't been to the peppermill in years, so we decided to give it another try. I absolutely loved the pool, how many hot tubs there were. I was extremely pleased to have a smoking section at the pool. My kids loved the arcade, especially the retro room 😆 the room we got was spacious, and the beds were hard, though. The shower had plenty of hot water and pressure, but the shower head needs to be updated.
Stayed in the Tuscany Tower and our room was the most comfortable I could imagine. Clean, huge tub and separate shower, Bed super comfy and quiet. You can hear the doors close next to you. I did not like the LOCKED snacks, drinks, and items that if you moved them, you got charged. And the refrigerator was not usable without paying if you opened the door. We asked for a refrigerator but it never came. Long lines at restaurants and snack counters if there's a conference. Huge place. There's a really great pet area, but it's hard to get back in the doors. Safe in room. Comfortable lounge chairs.
I heard about this casino from an older friend who used to love coming here, so when my boyfriend and I visited Reno to see my family, we decided to drop by. We enjoy visiting casinos from time to time in California, and while I've been to Reno before, this was our first time at this particular casino. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting. First off, the slot machines felt completely rigged. Even the bonus play required us to return the next day and accumulate a certain number of points before it could be used—something I've never heard of at any other casino. We weren't planning to stay that long, so this was both inconvenient and frustrating. After spending around $60 with no return, I finally sat down at a Buffalo machine that seemed like it might hit. I kept playing in hopes of triggering a bonus, spending even more just to keep going. Then things took a very uncomfortable turn. Out of nowhere, a floor staff member approached us and started questioning my boyfriend. They claimed he looked like someone who had previously been banned from the casino. I found this incredibly upsetting and suspicious, especially since my boyfriend is Hispanic and from Peru. I explained that while I've been to Reno before, this was our first time ever stepping foot in this casino. My boyfriend has only lived in the U.S. for two years and has never been to Reno. Despite my explanation, the staff radioed it in, claimed he matched someone on camera, and asked for his ID. We didn't have his passport on us because we hadn't planned on coming here—just stopped by on a whim—and we've never been asked for ID like this at other casinos. If ID was necessary just to be inside, why wasn't it checked when we walked in? Instead, they waited until we were settled at a machine to humiliate us based on someone else's mistaken identity. What made it worse was the complete lack of empathy or professionalism. There was no apology, no tact, and absolutely no consideration. It felt like racial profiling, plain and simple. My boyfriend did nothing wrong, yet he was treated like a suspect. To top it all off, we had just bought engagement rings earlier that day and were in a happy mood, but this incident ruined everything. Instead of feeling welcome, we felt targeted and disrespected. I would never recommend this casino to anyone. If this is how they treat guests—especially minorities—they don't deserve your business. The staff involved, including whoever handles the surveillance cameras, need serious retraining or replacement. No one deserves to be treated like this based on how they look.
The hotel room was phenomenal!!! Got a suite with a tub overlooking the mountain, 2 tv's, a steam shower with dual sinks and a fireplace!!!! Great layout, bed was actually descent and the pillows were so comfy!! The hotel itself you never had to wait on the elevator, easy to get around. Hated they had no smoking where u can sit and watch the games:( The games didn't pay much, did see a few big wins though. The coffee shop was convenient with lots of breakfast /lunch options and gelato too. The fireside lounge is great!! Got a 35oz drink and got to keep the glass. There is really nothing to do other than the pool or gaming but luckily there is plenty of things close by, even a great movie theatre! FYI .. there is lots to do at the GSR hotel with a Fat Tuesday and bowling/billiards and laser tag.
The casino was bright and warm. Loved all the outdoor visuals on several video screens throughout. The steakhouse was amazing porterhouse and tomahawk a must. Poker room was fun and lively a lot of day games. The north room tower was horrible.
