"Excellent hotel"

5
Q551BHandrewm, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom 18/12/2019

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting our son who is in the army. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated only 5 mins stroll into the town and approx 10 mins to the railway station.. Will definitely stay here again.

"Good but expensive"

Thomas H, Zeist, The Netherlands 26/08/2019

You can park your car safely, but it comes with a prices. As is the breakfast (standard, but fully OK). Please note that breakfast ends 10.00 and they arestrict: staff starts having breakfast at 10.01. The airco is an issue but I was able to stop it. I visited the sauna and this was fine. A nice pool as well. The room is standard, spacious enough. I doubted between 3 or 4 stars, but in the end decided in a medium score. Nevertheless, a good hotel on a good location.

"No air con in "Comfort rooms""

1
Traveller19F, France 26/07/2019

The hotel should not keep pretending that the so called comfort rooms are equipped with air condition. They only have poor ventilation. Clients who do not know about this and who depend on air con to sleep, are told, once they find out about the problem after a hot summer's day, to take a superior room with air con (if available) which almost doubles the price. The receptioin refused to grant me an available room with air con although I explained that I was unable to sleep in a room at 25° Celsius. The receptionist said the following morning that they had ventilators and that I should have asked them…! Great service to tell me about this when it's too late. By the way, next time I will stay at a nearby hotel in Bahnhofsstrasse which has got air con for less than the "comfort room" at the Arosa hotel which pretends to be a BEST WESTERN PLUS hotel. They offered me breakfast when I complained next morning but refused to refund the room.

Barbara D, Manager at Best Western Plus Arosa Hotel, responded to this review

"highly recommendable hotel"

5
Herbert W, Kreuzau, Germany 20/05/2019

easy to reach, and the parking is very comfortable. Lobby and reception by the staff was - as always - friendly and very charming. My room was tidy and comfortable and offered everything that is useful when on business trip. I also liked the restaurant where they make beef with the smoker, and they serve great wines here. And the breakfast is extremely good, offers all you need and more.

Barbara D, Manager at Best Western Plus Arosa Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Herbert, thank you very much for your feedback. We really appreciate and looking forward to welcome you again. Your Arosa-Team

"Exactly as advertised"

4
Lawsonio1, Toulouse, France 29/03/2019

It's clean, it's tidy, the service is great and the breakfast is plentiful. The rooms are not the most modern but a double is spacious, the bathroom is clean and everything is good. Stayed in room 212 for 4 nights whilst on business. The ladies behind reception were great in the evening helping us in the bar so we could work together and have a pint. Yeah- would probably stay here again

Barbara D, Manager at Best Western Plus Arosa Hotel, responded to this review

"Do not stay there"

2
987345, Bielefeld, Germany 22/03/2019

The staff are very unhelpful to the point that they just ignore you. There was construction work going on and this was not advertised on their website, they didn't even apologise for it. Me and my colleague booked through HRG where breakfast is meant to be included, it wasn't and cost €16 a day (for a continental breakfast) My colleague wanted a gin and tonic and she chose aspanish one something like Mare, when she went to pay the bill it was €45 for three, this is extortionate, no mention in the menu that it is €8.00 for s normal gin and tonic and then €6.80 on top of that which is against the trade description act. We asked for rooms together, we were three floors apart, my colleague had to go in two different lifts, through building sites just to get to her room. There were no signs and it took her ten minutes to get down to the lobby, when she was given her room key the staff actually smirked as the obviously knew the situation. She wanted to show me her room and when we went there workmen were in her room and said you can't come in for 10 mins, when she complained the front desk said he shouldn't be there and gave her a voucher for anything out of the mini bar (oh wow!!) when we were leaving they tried to charge her for the item!!! Also avoid the spa and swimming area, I know that you don't wear clothes in the saunas in Germany but there was an old man walking around the pool area with nothing on!!! All in all a terrible experience, avoid at all costs!

I have been there many times but this time I was assigned for another building - room 221. Usually the room is kind of small but surprisingly this time the room was nice, bathroom floor warm and included an additional sofa . Appreciated it !

Roooms fantastic , sauna swimming good . Reception good . Location great in centre of town. Poor restraunt. Food quality poor and same menu everyday. Breakfast was buffet and staff did not like helping. Dawood provides excellent service

Barbara D, Manager at Best Western Plus Arosa Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Dream24676591787, thank you for your feedback. It is nice to hear that you liked our rooms, sauna and swimming pool and the location. "Very Enjoyable Stay"

4
paulreevescom, Germany 18/09/2018

I've stayed here before, but its always worth writing a second review. If you stay in the new block of rooms, you won't be disappointed, Amazing bathrooms, great beds and lots of space to spread out. Great views over the city, but no coffee machine in the rooms. Good breakfast although they have chosen a rock radio station which might not be to everyone's taste. The pool, rooftop bar and panorama restaurant are really special and will really add a wow factor to your stay. I'm not normally a fan of Best Western Hotels or Best Western Plus as this is. However, its a really nice hotel.

"Some aspects need attention."

3
GreyPacker, York 30/08/2018

For a start it is a nice hotel, with a good location, a good restaurant and a swimming pool. My daughter stayed here a few month ago, read on. The key card wouldn't work in the safe. The air-conditioning in some room was not "working properly" (I was grateful for the upgrade, the luxury rooms really are luxury.) The door to the shower said "push" the buttons in the shower looked like icons but didn't say "push." My Key card stopped working. Answer: "You shouldn't keep it near your mobile phone." Did I say my daughter stopped here a few months before? She had exactly the same problems. Why didn't the hotel learn from their mistakes? NB Push the buttons in the shower and turn the leaver to select what you want. Don't keep your key card near your mobile phone. It's not the key card to work the safe, its your credit/debit card. There you go, done the job for the hotel, payment for the upgrade

"Great location very good hotel"

4
Mhadmonk, West Midlands, United Kingdom 15/08/2018

Stayed with family and friends and was impressed. We had a fantastic double room both of which were huge. This option came with an on suite bathroom which included a large jacuzzi with TV for ultimate relaxation. With an on site swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms it is perfect for pre/post daily activity within Paderborn and the local area. The hotel is ideally located within Paderborn with no need to drive to any of the more authentic restaurants and bars which are all within in 5-10 mins walking time from the hotel.

"Very good hotel, but for the total lack of airco in spite of it being advertised"

4
Haje1946_11, Purmerend 28/07/2018

Pluses: -nice large clean (business) room with a shower (which we prefer) -well functioning in room free Wifi -friendly helpful staff -very extensive breakfast, kept well supplied all the time, the orange juicer is tricky to use (self service), a bit expensive at €15 -well located, a mere 5 minutes walk from the cathedral (Dom) and compact city center -private enclosed parking at €10 per night. Minuses: no air conditioning on the higher floors at least! In spite of being advertised as having rooms with air conditioning, when entering our business room we found a disquieting note on the temperature regulator that it offered “cooling”, the room was hot indeed 23 degrees C, while we had especially booked a room at the Arosa because of the the weather forecast forecasting 30 degrees C. We decided to wait for a night, the next day complained to the receptionist who told us that their air conditioning only properly worked up to a certain level, not up to the 10 th floor (UK counting system) we were on, she did offer to get us a lower room, but because of the hassle of repacking and unpacking again while not even sure the cooling would really be better we declined. Don't think we will ever book a room during the summer ever again.

Barbara D, Manager at Best Western Plus Arosa Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Haje1946_11, thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate. We are sorry for the air conditioning. in the higher floor's the sun shines the whole day long in the Business room. If you will stay with us again in the summer we recommend to book a DeLuxe Double room. In these rooms the cooling will be better. Your Arosa-Team

Great hotel, with great service. The Location is right in the heart of the old town and easy approachable form the train station. The breakfast was typical but very tasty. Depending on the room you may have too much sun during the evening.

"Great hotel in super location"

5
Alsa96, London, United Kingdom 11/10/2017

Stayed here with my sister whilst visiting my niece who is stationed in paderborn. We had two single rooms and whilst they were not huge they had a good sized bed, good TV, mini bar, great wifi, tea and coffee making facilities and a super bathroom. Big walk in shower with good water pressure. Staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Nice little bar and free tea and coffee at reception. I thought it was great value for money and would certainly stay there again. They have parking which you pay extra for but they very kindly allowed my niece to park here for a few hours during the day for free. Would highly recommend.

"Great location but not worth the money!"

3
Caroline S, chesterfield 05/08/2017

Me and my family had booked two rooms both on the 6th floor. Both rooms were dated and old fashioned and there was dust on the floor where the hoover couldnt get to in each room. In my mums room she noticed an old battery under one of the units so the cleaner obviously doesn't check underneath. Also the room was dusty on the units and behind the curtains. The pool was nice and very relaxing however there was hair in the bottom of the pool for the 3 days we were there. Yet again it's a shame to see dirt in such a high rated hotel. The room view was fantastic and ideal for watching the libori fireworks. The receptionists were not friendly and only seemed interested if you were German. The breakfast was nice and worth the money and the staff were friendly. Also if you book a quiet floor which we did don't count on it as the first night we got woke up early hours of the morning with females talking loudly and then on the last night with males banging doors and shouting.

Barbara D, Manager at Best Western Plus Arosa Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Caroline S., Thank you for your feedback. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future. I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience. Barbara Diehl, Mgr.

gaz_z65, West Midlands, United Kingdom 27/07/2017

The car park is a nightmare , very narrow / tight if you have a larger car as we do , for its star rateing we expected something a bit more up market , our room on the 6th floor was a bit on the small side as was our WC , however the shower was great , nice & hot , a small fridge , tea makeing facilities. OK , the room , plus points - Great staff , nice comfey bed , good TV with a few English channels , Negative points - fixtures & fittings are very dated & tired , is in serious need of updateing , Staines on the lamp shades , marks on the carpets & chiped furniture , adequate but lots of room for improvment.

We stayed at the best western in May 2017. The rooms were large and comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful. It is in a good location for the city centre and near the train stations and local buses are easily located. The hotel has a swimming pool in the building and sauna in which my husband and sons made full use of. Overall it made our stay enjoyable.

Stayed at the Best Western Paderborn on the 22nd May 2017. Rooms are comfy and the staff is very friendly. I was on the 7th floor which had great views over the town. No need to hunt for places to eat as the food was excellent at this hotel.

_umzog, Devizes, United Kingdom 14/04/2017

The hotel is not much to look at from the outside, but it has been refurbished on the inside and is very comfortable, and well worth its star rating. The location is excellent, only a very short walk from the old town where there is plenty of places to eat. Breakfast was also very good with a wide choice of cold and hot food on offer. Wifi good enough to stream a movie.

BeereA, Bournemouth, United Kingdom 01/04/2017

O my goodness we have a big car and this is the worst designed car park .. it was really scary it's so low and closed in and dark .. then to get to the lobby and then to the room was a bit of a maze up in one life then down and then another lift for the room.. not what we really wanted when your so exhausted..But the room is nice and the water nice and hot .. towels were so small tho .. other than that happy with the room

"Thumbs Up!"

Jonny_Boughton, London, United Kingdom 09/02/2017

Stayed here on a 3 night business trip. I had a nice clean room (602) with a modern bathroom with a walk in overhead shower (very powerful and refreshing). Bar & restaurant are small but that simply encourages a short <5min walk to all the local restaurants (German, Spanish, Greek, Asian, Italian and Gaucho for steak) which offer great food and value. Staff at hotel were efficient and I had no problems. Wifi coverage excellent and reasonably quick.

"Fantastic hotel"

5
bendybev, Germany 26/01/2017

What a lovely place! Fantastic big room (even had a separate dressing/cloakroom), lovely breakfast, helpful and friendly staff from reception to bar waiting and housekeeping, superb food quality on room service, great location in the centre of town with its own car park. Beautiful pool and sauna which we were hoping to use but Sod's law our little one got sick so we didn't. The views alone were stunning. Loved it. Downsides (more advisory for other travelers than me complaining) The car park upper levels were too small for our car and we ended up in a bit of a pickle having to reverse our way out - our fault - not hotels, they told us to park on first level which was fine for our car (they didn't tell us why though so we thought we'd try the upper levels... anyway long story short - don't go past level 1 if you have a bigger car. I found the lift system a bit confusing (my husband told me I was being dimwitted) as we had to go to level 2 in one lift then transfer to a different lift to take us to level 5 but the lifts didn't follow the same floor plan (tried to change on level 3 one day and got lost!) so I had to get my head around that they were different buildings with different lifts and floor numbers and not to deviate from changing on 2! I would absolutely stay again and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting paderborn.

WorldFoodie32, Long Stratton, United Kingdom 05/01/2017

This is close to town which is a plus. Unfortunately the first night we were in reception until nearly 2am sorting our room which was freezing cold. We had reported the fault earlier and had been told it would warm up through the evening but arrived home at 11pm to find it stone cold. Luckily they were able to fix it and we were given a lovely replacement room and I have nothing bad to say about it after that. There is a coffee/ hot chocolate machine in reception you can help yourself to, plus a tray of biscuits and a bowl of fruits. You get jelly sweets on your pillow and there is a swimming pool and sauna and steam room on the top floor. It was an enjoyable stay.

"Best place to stay "

5
User 28/11/2016

Stayed here for 3 nights on business. The staff knew decent English and were welcoming and helpful. The hotel is well maintained. Facilities such as indoor pool, sauna are automated for entry. It was quiet at the evenings so that I could have the pool and sauna all for myself. Breakfast in the mornings was best in class with lots of choices. The road outside was under repair so my taxi had to come around at every drop off.

"Nice at first glance. So much better under the surface."

5
starkprofilespr, Oxford, England 07/11/2016

This is a real dark horse of a hotel. On its surface, the Best Western in Paderborn looks pretty standard. Look again though and some of its features turn it into something far closer to exceptional. After dark, when its colourful exterior lights go on, it transforms into something almost boutique looking. Certainly far more stylish than you initially give it credit for anyway. The panorama bar/restaurant leaves an amazing impression – very stylish. We didn't get the chance to eat there and frankly we were gutted we weren't able. Ditto for a drink in the small cool looking ground floor bar. Staff came across as friendly and helpful. This is a long running independently owned and managed franchise and it shows. Not had a huge amount of experience of Best Westerns, but it was head and shoulders above the one in Kassel, which we had a stop-off stay at the year before. Lots of the reviews below trumpet its pool (situated, unusually, on the top floor). Not for no good reason – it's brilliant! Clean, well tended, with great facilities and with near panoramic views of Paderborn as you swim. Also quiet – our family swam there by ourselves for 30 mins or so. If you have the time, explore this level too. We couldn't believe the range of other facilities (sauna, steam room and others) its spa had tucked away. Paderborn is a lovely place, and if you're stopping off there, seriously, don't think further than this hotel. Its bloody great and I hope I have cause to stay again one day!

The hotel is located in the centre of Paderborn, 5 minutes walk from the high street and with lots of restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had a room overlooking the town and the view was beautiful. Breakfast was very good as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Friendly and helpful staff"

John H, Chatham, United Kingdom 08/10/2016

Only stayed one night and would have stayed longer if we were not travelling. Friendly reception on arrival and helpful staff whilst staying. The food was good and although a buffet style breakfast the coffee/tea is served at your table. Drinks are not budget prices - a bottle of wine 30 Eur. The hotel is clean and the WiFi is free. A packet of jelly sweets on you bed - a small but nice touch. Definitely would stay again.

40 euros for 3 mins call to India ? Really Hotelbook in room....it is mentioned .30 euro per unit for phone call. When asked Staffabout same....they dont know what is meaning of .30 euro per unit(what is the standard or basis of unit here )..per minue or per all ..???/ ALso 2000 euro fine if staying in hotel ? Is that a law in Germany or Hotel's new way of earning more money ??? Be careful of staff, they can be rude at times . Staff need to realize guests are not staying here for free. They are paying for stay and should be respected.

Stayed for one night and was surprised that when arriving around 1200 cet the comment from reception was "how nice that you are here. This is your key...Please enjoy your stay". Many times I was told in other hotels that 12 is too early and that I have to wait. Not in this hotel. Rooms are small but with everything one needs. Minibar with snacks is in the room and the spa area worthwhile visiting. The hotel is in the city center so you walk 5min and you can visit many restaurants and bars. Breakfast was sufficient however i was really surprised that the room was packed till the last seat...anyway i got a seat so all good. Left satisfied this location...nothing to complain about all good...would go again.

I am a regular visitor to thishotel and they just get better and better. The staff cannot do enough for you and all speak English which is a help. The rooms are fantastic and are well appointed. They also have German,UK aswell as various other continental channels. Breakfast caters for both Continental and British tastes and can be busy at times.Easily the best hotel that I have stayed at in this part of Germany

"Excellent hotel with superb facilities"

Extremely pleasant hotel in the lovely town of Paderborn, Germany. Stayed here for 5 nights and found it to be consistently excellent. Great location in the town. I didn't eat in the restaurant, though I did have a meal in the bar which was lovely. Breakfast was very good and offered everything you could possibly want. I had a room on the 6th floor with terrific views over the town and the lovely church. But the crowning glory of this hotel is the swimming pool and spa on the top floor (8th Floor). Absolutely spotless and it really modern. Highly recommended

Great location. Super showers in the en-suite. The spa facilities on the 8th floor are awesome with amazing views of Paderborn. Staff very friendly. Breakfast buffet is superb. The Terrace bar/restaurant is outstanding especially in the summer.

Enjoyed a few nights here over recent weeks and always enjoyed my stay. Rooms are spacious and modern; outdoor terrace is located on an upper floor and has good views over the surrounding areas and is good place to meet up with friends or colleagues. Hotel is located centrally so easy to reach bars and restaurants on foot.

When you hear of Best Western Hotels, you normally think of a mid-range slightly dates but reasonable hotel. I'm beginning to realise that Best Western Premier, really is a step up from what you might expect. This hotel has an older section which is good value, but nothing special. However, onto of a C&A department store next door, it has built a new block of rooms, function spaces and wonderful rooftop restaurant. These new rooms are very good quality with lots of space and facilities. This internet is free and fast and the swimming pool is large with fantastic views across the city. The restaurant is slightly over priced and the pool is too cold for relaxing in, but great for fitness lengths.

Very convenient position. Very close to centre and transport links. Efficient and helpful staff. Beautiful dining terrace with small but tasty menu. It has its own swimming pool but it was so cold only my foot made it in! Comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast.

It is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel, however it was a very important visit this time as I was visiting all the places I lived with my parents ie Paderborn, Bad Lippspringe and Rinteln, my father recently passed away so it was a very emotional visit, the hotel staff made it very nice to return to this hotel and the service was always excellent, we will certainly return.

Stayed three times at this hotel and found it very convenient. Husband goes to business meetings and I go shopping. We book bed and breakfast as there are many restaurants in the beautiful town of Padaborn for evening meals. Hotel staff, pleasant, rooms comfortable. Breakfast ok, definitely a business man's hotel.

This is a very good value hotel despite the fall in the pound. The staff are efficient and friendly, the rooms comfortable, the showers great and drinks on the terrace a terrific experience overlooking the cathedral.

"Peaceful Nights Sleep "

Having spent two sleepless nights in a different hotel in Paderborn we decided to move and spend the last night of our stay in the Arosa - best decision!! We chose a Deluxe room and were glad we did. The bed was huge (although as is common in continental hotels it was made up of two beds pushed together) and so comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with complimentary toiletries and a fantastic shower (with bath). The room had a tv, sofa and chair, coffee table and a desk as well as a tea and coffee machine. The aircon worked well amd was reasonably quiet although we did have to turn it off in the middle of the night as it was making a little bit of noise but as the room was cool enough this wasn't a problem. The curtains blocked out a lot of the light and the room was so quiet it was easy to forget that the hotel is located in the middle of town right near a busy road. We didn't have chance to use the restaurant or the swimming pool facilities however the menu for the restaurant did look delicious. Overall we had a fantastic nights stay at the Arosa and I would definitely recommend it for anyone needing to stay in Paderborn.

"Good business location"

Thorno_81, Brussels, Belgium 19/05/2016

This hotel provides a good location for business travel, the rooms are clean well equipped and a good size. The breakfast offers a wide range of options. The restaurant served one of the best steaks I have had in a long time (250g ribeye). It would be good if the towels they provided were a little bigger (an actual bath towel would be appreciated). The car park is not very practical for current production cars and would benefit from the spaces being re-marked at an appropriate size (condition is worsened because you have to pay an additional charge).

"Very comfortable rooms, good location"

4
User 20/04/2016

The Arosa is a good hotel with very friendly staff and good sized comfortable rooms, close to suite size in fact. The breakfast is a substantial buffet and the staff are attentive. The bar is a little compact, but serves a good pint of Veltins with a sound bar menu of snacks. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Paderborn area.

"Great hotel with good location"

Double room with separable beds. Window on the side with quiet rooms. Bathroom with all amenities needs except a shower without a door. Extensive European breakfast with some warm food. Bit overpriced to my feel but luxurious and rich atmosphere at breakfast room.

"Comfortable Hotel in City Centre"

MidlandsTravelg, Midlands 07/04/2016

Central location on the ring road in Paderborn, just 5 minutes walk from the main shopping street. The Deluxe Rooms are very spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated and are located at the rear of the hotel. Free WiFi, flat screen TV with a good selection of English language channels, coffee machine, safe, minibar, lots of storage/wardrobe space. Nice toiletries are provided in the bathroom, along with bathrobes and slippers. On the top floor of the hotel is the excellent swimming pool, stream room & sauna complex. This offers great views over the city and is an ideal way to chill out for a couple of hours. The bar within the hotel is very small and can get crowded when busy. The buffet breakfast offered an extensive choice of cold food but hot food was limited to eggs, bacon and sausage. Breakfast was served until 11.00. The staff at the hotel are excellent, very helpful and will endeavour to resolve an issues you may have. The hotel is currently upgarding the bathrooms in some of the rooms, and parts of the hotel are a bit dated. Rooms on the front of the hotel are subject to noise from the ring road, so if you are a light sleeper request or book a room on the rear of the hotel.

I always stay at this hotel. Everything about it is great. Good location, car parking is at the hotel, and easy. They have a sauna, spa, and pool, all included at no extra cost. The bar is small, but just right. My wife had the chilli, and was very pleased with it. I like this hotel, and will always use it when I visit Paderborn.

With is free and stable. Breakfast is tasty with variety of food. Swimming pool on the highest floor of hotel with nice wiev to the town is pretty cool. Staff is helpful and polite. Arosa is good choise for stay in Paderborn.

Staying overnight at Best Western Arosa in Paderborn. Good location and was to arrive. Marvelous SPA and sauna department especially when you stayed alone there. Nice pool at the roof top with nice view over the city. Small and friendly pub.

This hotel does have a great location. You're literally five minutes from the centre of town which is great. The night time was very noisy (people outside on street and in hotel) but this was only on the weekend. We stayed here whilst waiting for our furniture to arrive so we could move to our new home, so we had quite a lot of stuff with us and our dog! The room itself was very large and the bathroom was massive! The shower was probably the nicest shower we've ever experienced! We had breakfast in the hotel every morning and did enjoy it (especially the waffles at the weekend!) however had we had to pay for breakfast out of our own money we would've thought it expensive for what it is. The pool was very cold, we only visited it once and that was only for twenty minutes before our little girl was shivering so much we decided it just wasn't worth it. We ate in the bar one evening. This was okay. Not much choice and quite slow. And the waitress forgot part of our order too. She was very apologetic though. We ate in the main restaurant once as well and have to say I was very impressed with the food, the service not so much. Unfortunately the waitresses were too busy chatting to each other so we were constantly having to catch their attention for things (drinks, dessert etc). The reception staff were hit and miss.... Sometimes really friendly, other times made you feel like a nuisance. The coffee machine in the waiting area had sour milk/cream in twice and she almost argued with my husband on one of the occasions as to whether it actually was off or not. It was rancid! Anyway she did change it in the end. All in all, we thought our stay was just average I'm afraid. Would we recommend it, hmmmm yes but with some caution!

Room had thick carpet but was very clean and comfortable with a very nice view over Paderborn. Wifi was free and quite fast. 5/5 Breakfast did not have the biggest selection but quality was very good. I did not eat at the restaurant. 4/5 The hotel is located just a 2 minute walk from the city centre and there are a lot of nice places to eat in the vicinity. Staff was very helpfull, no complaints at all. Highlight of the hotel is the great and seemingly brand new wellness area on the top floor, with a large pool, sauna, steam bath etc. 5/5

Had to go to Paderborn for work and I stayed there for three nights. The hotel is very nice overall, great location, and friendly staff. The internet has a very decent speed, never had any troubles with it. The only downside would be that they charge for parking, €10.00 per day. I only had breakfast once in the hotel and I was very satisfied with it. They have fresh fruit, fresh juices, a variety of bread, cheese, spreads, jams and cold cuts. Also very good coffee and even a tea station. You can also order fried eggs and bacon to your table (imcluded in price).

We stayed here for 1 night when we first arrived in Germany. It was wonderful. The staff were very polite and made us feel comfortable. We have a dog so expected to get a rubbish room. But the room Was lovely very spacious and clean. I couldn't have asked for better. Definitely worth a stay if you come to paderborn. Also only walking distance from the town centre.

We stayed in this hotel on our first night in Germany. The staff made us feel very welcomed. During our stay the hotel restaurant, the Chalet was been renovated so we had to use Tell's bar, really lovely little bar and the food was amazing. We would recommend the house burger. The breakfast was first class. The room was by far the most comfortable and practical we've stayed in as a family with a dog. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is literally round the corner from Paderborn centre. We would stay in the hotel again and recommend it to all our friends and family.

Comfortable clean and spacious hotel with lovely pool and sauna facilities. Ideal location for town and train station. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Breakfast was expensive at €30 euro per day for two of us, and very disappointed as we had to wait 40 minutes for food in the bar.

"View and wellness"

4
Golosaitalia, Bologna, Italy 01/11/2015

Wonderful view, we had the Dome right in front of the window, spacious and bright rooms, everything within walking distance. The panorama view from the wellness area on the 8th floor even topped the view from our room. Actually, the Sauna and Pool area rated under the top ten - modern, clean, high quality equipment, panorama view. Very generous late check out, nice and helpful staff.

Came as a wedding party "still here" 8-12 October, the hotel is located in the centre of Paderborn a great location, the hotel itself is spotlessly clean, the rooms are large and very comfortable I would recommend the hotel, they have a great pool sauna and steam room on the 8th floor, we were on the 7th floor with great views of the city, only fault was breakfast cost 15 Euro a night 8 of us in total 120 Euro a day, it was very basic, never filled up with things, and we had to ask for everything and was made to feel we were a nuisance total bill for breakfast alone 480 Euro, first day there was a fresh orange squeezer when we asked second day we were told no fruit. This was extremely pricey and would we recommend going out for breakfast, staff in the restaurant each morning were unhelpful and miserable. Overall apart from breakfast the hotel is a must. Lovely City Paderborn.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed Paderborn and Eastern Westfalia. The friendly staff made us feel good, offered wonderful breakfast and was supporting our touristic activities nicely. Not to mention the cosy Bar at the end of each day. The rooms offered quietness at closed windows. Paderborn´s Public Service do like very early hours chatting on backstreets even at weekends. The pool on the top level is really worth your visit. At early morning sunshine I was impressed of the scenic, even better than at the convention level!

Stopped here on business. Standard type of business hotel with friendly staff and restful accommodation. Be careful in the hotel car park as the headroom isn't great. Reasonable food in the bar. All in all an OK stay.

I stayed one weekin this hotel and it was wery comfortable. The room was on sixth floor, so I had great view on all the city and area around. The room itself is roomy enough with all amenities, that You expect. Bathroom is clean and comfortable. I only had breakfast and it was rich and fresh from salty meals to sweet. Lot of choice of fruits and vegetables. The stuff is correct as You expect. This hotel has private parking on first three floors, so You will not to be worried about finding the parking place around. I would definitely recommend this hotel ashamed to even the most demanding guests. I think it is the best hotel in Paderborn You can choose.
