This is an older facility and "looks" it. The rooms have poor lighting and are outdated - yet the rooms are still close to the rates of much nicer facilities. It is difficult to find check-in desk as signage is not clear and it is in a different building than the rooms. Do not recommend.
Very clean and super friendly people that work there. I would definitely come back again . Pool was nice and relaxing. Hopefully we come back to stay soon . Breakfast was good coffee was hot and fresh . Nothing but a relaxing well rested stay . Thanks for everything hope to see you soon .
Terrible stay. Dust covered A/C unit with no adjustable buttons working. Sink drain backed up. Should/tub dirty. A/C sounds like ice crushing machine. Loud noise from street. Loud neighbors. Limited parking and ours was taken. Had to park down the way because someone took our space in front of our door. Very dated room with obvious wear and tear. Bed however was comfortable. Only plus.
The rooms are always clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good. This is by far the best Best Western! They must have an awesome management to be so well run! There's a little bar in the back that's perfect for relaxing. The pool is well maintained and clean. Good job Newport Best Western!!!
The hotel is very conveniently close to the interstate, and I like the ability to park our vehicle right up to our room, no fooling around with carts or anything like that. The breakfast was very good the next morning in the huge dining room. We didn't realize it, but they had a pool and a hot tub outside too.
I stay here whenever get the chance! Great truck, parking, clean rooms, great bar and grill, staff is always wonderful. Can't say enough about this place, clean, friendly places are hard to find.
It's fine but tired. Not great but they are very nice. The bed was ok. The shower was small. The air conditioner is a window unit can barely keep up with the heat. We slept there for the night so it served its purpose. Not a 3 star hotel more like a 2 star Motel.
Nice, a lot of pavement, not a lot of grass for dogs to walk on - not to dog friendly. Not sure if restaurant is open. If you forget the plug in for your cell phon, you are out of luck where most hotels have extra at the base of the light there's are only the two on the alarm clock.
Whenever traveling to the area I always stay at this location. The pricing is affordable with awesome service and location.
Stayed here on the way from Hilton Head to Ohio. Very pleasantly surprised by room size, comfort and cleanliness. Staff was very friendly. Pool area very nice. Walkable cocktail lounge. Decent food choices nearby. Breakfast hot and food good. Easy access to highway.
This is by far one of the best places to stay. The staff are always friendly and very helpful the rooms are fantastic and clean very comfortable beds and overall super service
Every time we have stayed at Best Western Newport, the rooms are exceptionally clean. The hot tub and pool are our favorites! Too bad the hot tub was broken last time. It was like sitting in warm bath water with no jets. The breakfast is always good and the staff is great. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Had a wonderful stay at BW in Newport on our way home from Mississippi. Very clean, everything we needed in the room.
Reserved 4 rooms for an overnight stop on our way to Myrtle beach. All four rooms were clean and breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again. Very sweet hotel staff
My wife and I stopped here on our way home from Missouri. We wanted to do some things in Pigeon Forge but did not want to stay in Town since it was Memorial Day Weekend. The price was really good for the area. They are pet friendly. Very nice pool and hot tub. And a nice bar onsite. An excellent breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff.
This is a great property. Large rooms recently redone. Clean Clean Clean. Stayed on the first floor and parked just outside the room The pool was nice large and clean. I would stay here again .
On motorcycle tour thru area. Was delayed by rain, so spent extra day there. Staff were friendly and professional. Room was clean. Hot breakfast was good. Walking distance to other restaurants. Got a good rate as a Rewards customer, lol.
Was a pleasant surprise! Beds weren't super comfy, but room was clean and breakfast awesome!! Got there middle of the night after an accident held us up for 5 hours, so didn't get to use the amenities but it looked pretty good! Service was good.
We were on our way to Myrtle Beach and stopped along the way. Lots of different restaurants in town. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and the hot breakfast in the morning was excellent
Rooms were clean, beds and pillows very comfortable, got a good night sleep, Ladies at the desk very friendly and helpful. It was a quiet place to stay not a lot of noise. Conveniently off the highway
This place is great! Clean, safe, and near lots of places to shop. The front desk, which is at the bottom of the hill, was so nice and friendly. The breakfast was Amazing! The girl taking care of it was totally on top of things! We left her a nice tip for doing such a great job!! I would Definitely recommend staying here!
Jennifer, the front desk attendant always has a smile on her face and is available to answer any questions. The morning breakfast is excellent and offers a great variety of of breakfast food selections. The breakfast attendant, Pam, does an excellent job maintaining the selections available. The cleaning staff is also to be complimented as the rooms are spotless clean and maintained throughout our stay.
The beds are amazing. And the staff omg you will be blown away. Stephanie is absolutely amazing and then Jackie is a god sent as well. I had a family emergency and they step in and up like I was their own family. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Must stay
Recently stayed in Hyatt on Capitol.Hill DC at $400 / night for this exact same room. Same furnishings, decor and convenes except this BW included a FREE hot breakfast: omlets, pancakes. Sausage etc. At $93 / night total. Would definitely stay here again. Stephanie checked us in and was very professional and helpful.
Traveling and 1st time at this BW. The entrance can be a little tricky as it shares a lot with two other businesses. The lobby is clearly marked. We were confused by the directions to our room. You go outside, up a small hill, and around a bit to a separate building. The key cards would not work on #133. Back to the desk. I was informed I could have a room two doors down so "we wouldn't have to move too far". Unfortunately for us we reserved a king and got two queens. It goes badly from here. Heater was loud enough we could not run it. The coffee maker was defective, so it was on all the time spitting water out the top. Easy fix. Both our mattresses were way too slumpy for us. My favorite thing to report is the smoke detector in our room started beeping "low battery" at 1:44AM. By the time I ripped it off the wall - we were wake. Departed at 3AM so cannot tell much about the free brekkie. They did have dog waste bags at the dog waste station. You can walk to a couple places for food. We did Ruby Tuesday and regretted it. 45 minute wait with roughly 12 empty booths/tables. Advertised billboard states rooms at less than $80.00. With the dog fee of $15.00 our bill exceeded $130.00. We are traveling and this was our 3rd attempt at BW this trip. They just keep getting worse. We have cancelled our BW membership due to this experience. We are NOT the target audience? NOT recommend.
Every staff member we came into contact with were very helpful. Walmart is nearby along with burger and coffee joints. The onsite restaurant was closed on the Monday night we visited but they are open.
This is our go to place when visiting family in Del Rio. The staff is great, the food always good and the rooms clean. We always feel safe here as there are truckers and county staff always around. We have used the pool, the on location restaurant and so many things (different restaurant food choices, service stations and a Walmart within minutes!).
Entire staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The best staff of any hotel I've been to. We stopped here due to being stuck in a snowstorm, and we're so helpful, even offering to let us stay past checkout if we couldn't navigate the roads in the morning. Highly recommend this hotel!
This was a 3rd hotel of our trip, we just needed a place to sleep on the way home. This BW far exceeded expectations for the price. The room was clean and furniture in good condition for a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of breakfast items, way better than usual for this type of hotel.
Room was nice and clean. Comfy beds, decent pillows. Great staff. Could use extra blankets in room so ask for one at check in. Overall very good had a great night's sleep. Quiet. Right off the highway.
Nice, clean hotel. Staff are friendly. Great place to stay if you are visiting Pigeon Forge and don't want to pay the ridiculous prices to be on the strip. Great value. Room was clean and had a mini fridge and microwave. There was a hair dryer and ironing board as well.
Older facility but looks to have been recently updated. Super clean rooms. Comfy bed. Not much noise from the highway. Conveniently located right off the interstate and right next to some places to eat. If we come back to Newport, we will book this place agian. Overall a great place to stay!
Best western Newport Tn is a very good place to stay. Clean rooms, nice rooms. Breakfast was really good and all the staff were very friendly and good people . I would recommend you stay there if you are in the area
Clean, comfortable accommodations. Good breakfast. Great and friendly service (went above and beyond). The location was easily accessible but with no highway noise. Only improvement would be if breakfast were available in the same building as the rooms. Elderly or handicapped will need to drive to the breakfast location.
The Newport Best Western is an amazing Inn. They have super clean modern rooms. New TVs and an awesome country breakfast. The location is just off the interstate and close to the Great Smoky Mountains.
Jessica at the front desk was very polite and helpful. She even noticed I had rewards and was able to lower our bill. Breakfast was very good and the area was clean. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Would recommend to friends. Was close to where we wanted to be but yet still in a quite are
Clean, comfortable, with restaurants close by and caring staff, perfect for a nights or more stay. Also, the complementary breakfast is the best I have had in a while. There is plenty of parking space for large rigs like RV's, commercial trucks and so forth.
We really enjoyed staying at the Newport, Tennessee Best Western. It is so close to so many activities and beautiful scenery. It is close to Smokey Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and Gatlinberg.
My husband and I are in process of building a house on nearby property and during this time we have stayed in Newport Best Western on many occasions. We choose it for it's location close to shopping and dining , cleanliness, amenities , value and excellent service.
This location was very clean, comfortable , and safe location. Stacey registered us after a hectic day of traffic across Tennessee, and made us feel very welcome. All of our registration paperwork was waiting for us on arrival. The building seems a little outdated with the cars p arked right in front of the room, but it was convenient unloading and reloading in the morning. The area was very quiet and clean as well. Also a short walk to Cacker Barrel for dinner, and breakfast on site in the next morning. I will definitely stay here again!
Not impressed. Was expecting MUCH better, especially given that it has 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor. Pros - we had a decent, clean room. The included breakfast was substantial and included pancakes, sausage patties, prefab omelettes, and biscuits & gravy. Note (for better or for worse) that this is an old-style exterior-access style hotel on both floors, and if you are on the first floor, you can park in front of your room. Cons - When we walked in to register, it wasn't clear that there was any desk staff, because the person who turned out to be the desk staff was out from behind the desk chatting it up with some people who were clearly friends or family. Much bigger issue was that after we had settled in and were buttoning up for the night, we discovered the deadbolt on the door didn't work. I tried pulling, pushing, jiggling left, right, up and down, and I could not get the deadbolt to engage with the opening on the door frame. There was a mechanism to prevent the door from opening more than an inch or two, but rather than being the more typical style of that kind of thing you would find in a hotel (the metal U-shape thing), it was just a flap that folded out; it looked like a swift kick on the door would snap it right off. So I tried calling the front desk from the room phone. I called three times in a row, letting it ring maybe 10 times each time, and no one ever picked up; it was probably 10:30 pm. Then I used my cell phone to call the main number for the hotel, and the front desk person picked up on the third ring. Hmmm. She said there had been no report that the deadbolt wasn't working on that room, and assured me that the key card access would be fine to provide security. Given that the door opened directly onto the parking lot on the BACK side of the building, and that some unknown number of people (housekeeping, maintenance, managers, etc) probably had key access to all rooms, I was not comforted. She did not offer to change our room, and given that we were in our pjs, I didn't ask. We had no issues, but I was not happy about the situation. I thought the price was reasonable for something with 4.5 TripAdvisor stars, but this was definitely more like a 3.5 star place for sure, especially considering the front desk person couldn't be bothered to answer an in-house call. And I could have paid a lot less for a 3.5 star place if I had wanted that kind of experience.
Great beds, staff, & breakfast. Found a dead bug last day. They have a pool & hot tub: jets on tub are hard. You have to drive a lot to get anywhere due to mountains. Lots of road construction crew stay here & party in back. Lots of noise in back lot.
This hotel is always clean, staff is always courteous and understanding of any needs. Easy access from the interstate to be able to travel to tourist attractions. Well located to several restaurants and tourist attractions for anyone visiting.
Stay here and you wont regret it. Clean rooms, plenty of parking, pool, hot tub and a great breakfast in morning. Really easy to get to and is right next door to a Cracker Barrel if you wan some dinner.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. My kids loved that they had chicken nuggets on the breakfast bar. The pool area was clean and well kept. If you are lucky enough to be checked in by Katherine she will be sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible.
The room had popcorn all over the floor, there were several bugs on the floor, we were not recognized as diamond members, we were unable to book through corporate web site and we were charged 70 dollars more per night than our quoted price. The staff was very nice, just not helpful.
When we arrived, found our room large roomy, we travel with our fur babies, so extra floor space is nice. But ya have to try the breakfast we truly enjoyed that. Our needs were met politely and promptly. Oh yes we will be staying there again.
I have stayed here several times over the past few years. It is always clean, comfortable, convenient, kind staff, and per friendly with no hassle. Everything works, the beds will guarantee a good night's rest.
We chose this BW property primarily because they're pet friendly, and we travel with our therapy dog. Great stay, very hospitable. Large dog walk area and they provide poop bags. Room was extremely clean. Easy access from I-40 and the interstate noise was not bad.
Would recommend to anyone. We stayed for our anniversary trip in the king bed room with in room jacuzzi spa tub and it was amazing. Breakfast was so good with very many options. Staff was great and the hotel was very clean.
After a long drive we arrived. Had a reservation, but did need to wait -- one person at the desk and three customers. The employee, Ashley, was efficient and had a good sense of humor. Our room was fine. The jacuzzi was especially good after the long day. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise -- better than we've had at other BWs (of course, we haven't travelled much in the past few years). We may make that our regular stop enroute to family gatherings. Thanks! Oh, a very nice Mexican restaurant nearby, a bit hard to find but worth it -- by the Walmart.
stayed 2 days ,,pet friendly. staff at counter was friendly and helpful. had no reservations got the room we needed no issues. room was clean and smelled clean, saw no bugs (used light). had coffee pot, frig, micro, hair dryer and good channels for tv. frig ticked loudly all night. breakfast was good. eggs ,sausage ,gravy ,yogurt pancakes. cereal,.oats.juices. pastries. it started at 6;30, great for us early birds. no waiting till 7 or 8 to start the day. ethe hot foods were served ,(you told them which you wanted) really pleased with this not all touching the foods (thank you) first night round 12 was wakened by sound of someone trying to open door, not sure what it was. bed was comfortable pillows were comfortable one i untucked them and fluffed them out.shower pressure good. but at night could hear the couple next door talking. but will stay again.
We really like th3e view from the hotel. Easy in and out, clean and comfortable. The elevator was good and necessary. The breakfast had a server that gets the food for you. I think there were 3 tip jars prominently featured for this.
The room was clean and updated, the staff was helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was good. The location was right off the highway but the room was very quiet. We just spent the night but the location is very near to all the Gatlinburg tourist sites.
Great place to stay. Try to get a first floor room to avoid having to lug all of your stuff upstairs. They do have carts and elevators. Very clean rooms. Awesome breakfast. Good places to eat within walking distance.
I received exceptional customer service from Katherine. This best western had great rooms at a great value. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. They had everything you needed to have a wonderful stay. Highly Recommend!
Clean and spacious rooms. Nice restaurant and nice breakfast to start the day. Check in was fast and I got there late at night, so I was ready to turn in. Nicest hotel in the area and very helpful staff. Will be staying here whenever I am in the area.
Hotel appears to be nicely remodeled older hotel. Room was very clean and neat. HVAC system a little noisy. Staff very pleasant. Did not eat breakfast here but it looked as good as any at this level hotels. If cost is a concern, this hotel is a good fit.
What a difference a year makes .. we were here last year on our stopover to South Carolina and absolutely loved the place (see our review). This year, upon entering our room, a foul odor was evident ... couldn't really identify it but hopefully not just something that was used to clean with .. not sure. We had a king room with jacuzzi and it appreared in good condition but the room could still use a bit of attention.(showing some wear) It was later in the evening when we arrived and we didnt want to hassle with another room so we stopped over at Walmart and purchased some disinfectant spray for the room (a bit of help). We advised the desk clerk upon check out but she didnt seem too concerned. Not that we were looking for any compensation but it would have been courteous to offer at least the price paid for the disinfectant (Many hotels have a guaranteed stay policy). I will note that after I left my review with the hotel I received a response from Eric Coggins (general mgr) apologizing for our unsatisfactory stay. Really disappointed now because we had really looked forward to staying here .. but will be reluctant to stay again. However, I must say, the complimentary breakfast and breakfast staff are still awesome.
Stayed here a few years ago, and decided to stay here as a overnight on my way home. Nothing horribly wrong with this location, however for the price paid this time not so much. I stayed at a location in Asheville on this trip and they beat this location hands down with cleanliness and updated property.
My husband had to be hospitalized while we were staying. The staff inquired often about him. The breakfast was very good. Nice selection of hot and cold foods. Beds comfortable and room nice and clean. Internet Wi-Fi strong.
Stayed here as a last minute decision based on reviews I read. Stephanie at the front desk was very friendly and extremely helpful. Gave us information about hotel and immediate area. Had a small issue with the bathroom. She offered to move us or have it repaired. Within 10 minutes issue was resolved.
Love this Best Western. The front desk people are all excellent, very knowledgeable friendly and helpful.property is kept clean. The rooms are large with plenty of pillows, linens. Everything works and if there is a problem it is taken care of immediately. Pet friendly with large parking for tractor trailers. Restaurants within walking distance plus they have a good breakfast at the Inn.
The staff service at this property is amazing!! The front desk clerks are always smiling and ready to help in any way possible. The rooms and the entire property is always clean. The staff cares about their guests. The selection of breakfast items available is also amazing!!
A few of our group arrived at the same time, but we were quickly assigned rooms. The staff had located our rooms near each other so we could stay in contact easier. We didn't have to ask. They just had it prearranged. The manager and staff were wonderful to allow us a special request to make our stay even better for our group of 14. I would definitely suggest this Best Western for group stays in Tenn.
Kind friendly staff; clean room, better than average breakfast. and cheaper. what more could I hope for? Normally stay at Hamptons or Holiday Inns (for 50% more$) but am going to look for more Best Westerns as we continue our travels.
Everything was clean and in working order. it was nice to have a pool and hot tub on site. It is walking distance to restaurants. Staff were courteous and knowledgeable. The only complaint is that the ac unit was loud.
Nice location Breakfast was excellent Pool was nice Room was clean expect for shower there was a small hair on the wall Would be nice if they had different curtains to block out the light I think that's why we couldn't sleep
Loved the location and loved the restaurant Ruby Tuesday within walking distance. That was great! Nice dog area out back Very quiet Front desk agent friendly Breakfast good, would change the coffee brand, however.
We had planned on making a 10 hour drive without stopping but we were exhausted 1/2 way through the drive. We needed a place to sleep. BW was easily to access, very clean and there was no one hanging out on the premises. We felt safe and slept well. Beds were very nice.
The staff is what makes this place. In the hospitality industry we have gotten away from making someone feel welcome with a warm smile and friendly face every time we enter the lobby.. This staff certainly knows the definition of hospitality!!!
This property knocks it out of the park. Every aspect was excellent. The staff were all so kind and very good at their jobs. The room was great. We loved being in the ground level and close to our car.
This is a very nice hotel with a fantastic breakfast. We stopped here last minute and were pleasantly surprised. The staff is friendly. The room was clean. The décor is nice. We would differently stay here again.
Best Western Newport is a great place to stay. The staff is friendly and courteous. The breakfast is filling and delicious. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have been able to get us rooms on very short notice, and when we need connecting rooms there is no problem providing them. We have been very pleased with all of our stays at Best Western Newport.
This is the best Best Western I have ever been at, EVER! The crew here was so wonderful. If you ever need an example of Southern Hospitality this is the place to find it. All the ladies were awesome. Comfortable beds clean rooms and a great stay await you here.
We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Newport. Breakfast was good and rooms are clean. Jessica and Stephanie with make your check in process super easy. And Pam will deliver your breakfast with a smile.
I am a truck driver easy parking and the hole place is clean and very friendly and best breakfast in a long time told some other drivers they stayed and said the same thing our host Stephanie was fabulous and friendly
From check in to check out we were really satisfied! Everyone was so friendly and everything was clean and well kept! Breakfast had plenty of choices and was hot and delicious! We ended up choosing this hotel again because we liked it so much!
Been stopping here when traveling to Carolina and back for 5 years. Always very friendly and very consistent on quality and value for the price. Plenty of places nearby for food, fuel and driving thru countryside is beautiful.
First off, Lorraine the front desk person set the tone. . . she was a warm breeze of southern hospitality on a cold and freezing day. The Ruby Tuesday right across the parking lot was terrific. (Wonderful salad bar) The room and pet accommodations were great at tis Best Western. . . . and the breakfast buffet was so much better than expected. . . and Pam was terrific as well.
the jacuzzi was great! However, when the upstairs neighbors used theirs (from 11p - 1a), the drain in our room made ridiculous noises the entire time. And just fyi, you can hear EVERYTHING the neighbors are doing while in the bathroom.
My husband and I traveled to Newport for my cousins funeral. When I called to make the reservation I spoke with Stephanie who was so sweet. I explained to her we would be getting in extremely late because the funeral was the next day. She was such a compassionate and genuine person. Upon arriving around 2 am or so my husband met with Katherine at check in. She was also such a sweet person. She greeted him and gave him two bags with some water and snacks which was very appreciated. Both mornings when we went to breakfast we were greeted with cheerful good mornings in the lobby. The two ladies in the breakfast area were also so lovely. The breakfast was good. I was so glad to see they had biscuits and gravy. A lot of hotels don't carry it anymore. The coffee was really good. Everything at breakfast was delicious. My husband really enjoyed the pancakes and omelettes. The hotel was also very clean. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit.
This Best Western was updated. Our room was nice and clean. The lobby and breakfast area was also clean. The grounds were well kept. The price of the room was reasonable. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. It was a great experience.
This was an absolute perfect stay for a night as we traveled west. We saw that the reviews looked great for a stay with our pup, and the reviews were accurate! This place is very clean and the staff was so kind. We stayed with our two young children and our pup. Very easy access from I40, and I easily walked to Cracker Barrel to pickup take out. The breakfast at the BW worked well for our needs! If you stay, you will not be disappointed.
The customer service here is outstanding, From checking in to checking out! The breakfast is hands down one of the best . The rooms are updated clean and the beds are very comfortable. Great parking for truck drivers .
Excellent people. They were down to earth, informative and helpful. Even when someone was being difficult. My kids got a kick out off the pancake machine. Everything was clean. The blankets paper thin. Couldn't even tell you were under them.
We checked in with ease and went to room. The front desk clerk was wonderful. Upon entering the room, I immediately saw that beds were made however it had NOT been cleaned. It smelled horribly like smoke. There were animal and human hairs visible all over beds and surfaces. There were little curly black hairs in and around toilet. The garbage had a used plastic cup in it and another was opened on counter. The sink had brown spots and grime in it. The Bathroom floor was smudged up. The carpet had white like spots/streaks. There were visible crumbs on the carpet and table surfaces. The linens had stains. I asked for a different room. (The front desk lady was VERY nice!) She promptly gave us a different room. It did not smell like smoke and it had been cleaned however not very well. The room needed a good deep cleaning with bleach, floor to ceiling! I was so grossed out by the first room that I couldn't sleep anyhow. The walls were thin and we could hear the rooms around us. There were some questionable guests. I read online reviews that stated that there are some nice rooms, maybe they are on the second level. Both of our rooms were on the first floor. The place could also use specific pet designated rooms as I don't care to sleep with other hair…animal or human! Paw print mud prints up to the doors were visible.
Just about got a contact high just walking in the room. Hair in one of the beds, crushed bug of some sort in the other . No in room coffee pot . You have to go outside and walk to another building for coffee. There is however a small microwave and fridge . Bed was horrible . Tossed all night. Breakfast was included but consisted of Omlets left in the warmer too long with kraft singles for the cheese . Cold breakfast is also available . Very friendly staff but far to costly for what we got.
New hotel is clean and comfortable, and restaurants are close by. It is not far off Interstate I81, making it convenient and easy to get to. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had to leave before sunrise, so we missed the breakfast, but know that breakfast is available.
This location is very nice. Convenient locations of restaurants in the area. Very clean facility and parking. Every staff member Greets you with a smile and are concerned that your stay is pleasant. Great staff in all departments.
Everyone was exceptionally nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. I truly recommend stay here if you are traveling. Everything from the rooms to the service was fantastic. Rooms were clean, very well decorated. Plenty of room.
Stephanie at check in was super nice. Also the breakfast attendant was very nice( forgot her name) Hotel was clean and well taken care of. I felt safe and at home. Comfortable bed. Good selection of tv channels. Lots of choices for breakfast. Taste very good Overall very pleased with this hotel. Recommend staying here if your in the area.
Everything there was fantastic from the check in to the service at breakfast to the maid service to the checkout. Room was very clean, all the staff was very nice, I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The only minor complaint is the water pressure is not great in the shower but that is the only complaint. I needed a detour around I 40 because of a closure and Pam, the breakfast lady, was very helpful with that. It saved us a lot of time and was a beautiful drive!
The first two times we attempted to get into our room, the key didn't work. We had two 11 yr. olds standing outside in the cold while we attempted to get in. Then when we finally switched rooms and got in, the heating unit was so loud it was difficult to sleep. On top of that, the smoke detector started beeping and saying low battery at 1:30AM and woke us up! Spend the extra money and go across the street to the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn!
We spent 5 days in Newport which has several options for hotels. I am confident that we made the best choice. The room was clean and comfortable with a GREAT shower for the handicapped. The price was definitely the best for what we received. The free breakfast was adequate but being there for 5 days, it was redundant. Changing the menu daily would be a good thing. We are always a little hesitant about room doors on the outside for security reasons and most commonly go for the places where the doors are located on the interior of the building. However, we had no worries or regrets with this at this location at all. Everyone was courteous, friendly, and accommodating. If your staying in Newport, do yourself a favor and book at Best Western, you'll be glad you did.
I am a truck driver so I look for good hotels. I'm always on the road and by far this hotel tops all of them. I will stay again. Staff is great and it's close to everything you can walk to Ruby Tuesday for dinner.
Great check-in person Stephanie- knows her stuff! Nice, clean, quiet room. Very clean tub-shower. Nice, nice. Comfortable bed plenty of pillows. Great breakfast! Very impressed. Dinner at Montera Mexican restaurant. Good. Good food. Great visit here in Newport!
All the staff were polite and kind. Jessica at the front desk was a pleasure and made check in and out easy and quick! Room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Overall, I would recommend to anyone staying in the Newport area.
We stayed at the Newport Best Western on the way home from South Carolina. We had stayed at this hotel earlier in the year and both stays were great. Clean rooms, plenty of soft towels. The complimentary hot breakfast had several choices. We would stay here again when traveling through.
The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. They go out of their way to please the guests and are always smiling and eager to help anyway they can. Do to the staff and cleanliness of the hotel, we always stay at this hotel. It is near to all local attractions.
I rate this stay at a Best Western hotelin Newport Tenn. the best yet. The personnel and amenities were over the top. Everything about it was great. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a warm and welcome stay.
Stayed here one night after hiking the Smokies for 4 days. Check-in, check-out staff were friendly, helpful, quick. Awesome breakfast choices, including eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy and the servers were wonderful! everything was stocked (no empty coffee pots) which is a plus for me. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, lots of pilllows. Big TV. Could not have asked for anything better!
The Best Western Newport Inn was a very nice place to stay. The room was clean, the staff represented Best Western well, and breakfast was very good. The two concerns we had were the room seemed a bit small, and our mattress was lumpy.
Best service and staff that I've ever come across from manager Eric to all the ladies that make this hotel come alive with Jessica, Lorraine, Andrea, Stephanie,Brandie,Pam and Catherine the complete crew awesome team they will not let you down believe me.
The desk clerks went over and beyond what was expected with my check-in and to ensure stay was comfortable. I had accumulated reward points from previous Best Western stays which were used for this visit.. In addition, they noted other discounts were available, such as being a veteran and allowed me to apply that discount to my room rate. A complimentary breakfast was provided in the dining room. Good selection for a hot meal.
This hotel was clean and very comfortable, but what set it apart was the customer service. I arrived at 11:45 pm without a reservation in peak season and was treated like family, and put in perfect room.
A++ Awesome place!! We travel for business quite a bit. It is a real breath of fresh air to have a hotel who is not cleaning your room etc and playing up covid and you have to beg for towels and cleaning. Not here. Our room was immaculate and cleaned everyday with love! This hotel's rooms were super clean, great mattress and bedding, lots of parking, nice breakfast and super accommodating. Most Importantly the staff is top notch....super super friendly and polite. Amazingly enough it is very reasonable as well. I got talking to the staff and this hotel has been locally owned for 30 some years and this particular lady said she has been working there for 20 yrs. That says a ton in my book as a business owner with employees myself. You can feel a true spirit of hospitality in this place. Do yourself a favor and stay here....you won't regret it!!!
We had a great experience with the room, breakfast and staff. Some of us have stayed at other hotels recently and breakfast consisted of boxed cereal and packaged pastries. The hot breakfast here was fabulous! Eggs, omelets, pancakes, etc. It may not be a five star hotel but we had a five star experience.
This hotel was great. We brought our dog as they are dog friendly. We stayed 5 nights and the hotel was very clean. Great employees as well. We used the pool and it was very clean as well. Our son lives near there so we will definitely be back there.
Only a one night stayover while on our way to South Carolina, but it was remarkable. From check in to check out no problems .. rooms were in like new condition, very spacious and clean. Guest check in clerk was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was unbelievable! .. in these strange times they found a way to continue offering a buffet breakfast and still remain safe. Offering gloves and sanitizing stations upon entry and servers to do the buffet items of your choice. Wrapped pastries were available as well as a drink station. Even offered take-out if preferred. A unique pancake station that required a single button to dispense two hot pancakes without any risk was also offered as an option. We traveled with our pet .. they are very pet friendly , offering a nice outdoor convenience area and a low fee ($15) Ok .. the ONLY suggestion I would offer this hotel would be to mount the tv on the wall to allow better viewing angle from the bed .. surely not enough though to reduce the 5 star rating. Highly recommend!!!
Overall a great traveling experience. Staff was courteous and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. Check in and check out was fast. Will now make Best Qestern my first choice for accomadations when traveling.
We had a long drive ahead the following day. The room provided comfortable beds, quiet environment, and excellent temperature control. We arrived late in the night and were greeted quickly, politely, and navigated to our rooms with ease.
The check-in was quick. Our room was a handicapped room on the first floor. The parking was outside our room. The room was extremely clean, The bathroom was wonderful with a walk in shower. The breakfast was very good.
This place is kind of cool and vintage. It shows some wear but is kept clean. The office is in a building separated from the guest rooms. In room 117 the air conditioner was pretty noisy, but what we found disturbing was the constant noise created by a vent in the bathroom. It was a low pitched, kind of whistling sound that was louder when the bathroom door was closed. It was unpleasant enough that the person I traveled with chose not to use the shower rather than listen to the noise in close quarters. Other than that, the room was comfortable enough and conveniently located to restaurants. I would stay here again, but not in Room 117.
Didn't plan on this Best Western ahead of time, but glad we chose it over the other motels at this exit. Though slightly higher price, the quality of the room and excellent breakfast (a cost saver of its own) more than made up for the price difference. I would definitely stay hear again.
The hotel was in a very good location. All of the employees were super nice and helpful in many different ways. I Would DEFINITELY recommend utilizing this location if staying in the area of Newport!!
We enjoyed this hotel for all reasons above. The staff was excellent & very friendly. There was a nice view of the mountains from the pool. I was also permitted to view the room before committing to stay since I have high mold sensitivity.
My husband, daughter and I stayed here on the night of June 29th. We arrived well past the check in time, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We will definitely stay here again whenever we are traveling that way. Location was very convenient and right off the interstate.
After having a horrible time at an Air B&B Xabin In Gatlinburg we got refunded and headed to this ive hotel. Modern, pool, cozy rooms. Great hot breakfadt the next morning too. All at about $100 (they were charging us $350 a night for a run down cabin on Air B&B that haf floors falling through). Stay here its off the strip but easy to get back to.
Lovely hotel in the mountains was close to everything we needed. Had not stayed at a Best Western this was the first. We always pick hotels or places that have a pool. We take our grown kids and grandkids with us . We ( 3 generation ) traveled to the ocean for the first time in our lives and this was a real nice spot to stop we really enjoyed our stay final destination was Myrtle beach SC
If you like spiders, cobwebs and dead bugs on the ceilings and floor of the bathroom perfect place to stay. Breakfast was terrible. Pool and spa could have been a little cleaner. Even though it is no smoking, people are still rude and do it anyways
Very nice motel. Andrea at front desk was extremely helpful and professional. Room was very clean. Internet works fine. The breakfast was very well planned out and had many many Options to choose from. Would highly recommend this motel.
Nice staff. Rooms are clean. Never found where the ice machine was and we were there 3 nights. Easy place to get to. Needs more parking near the rooms. Awesome that there was restaurants within walking distance. Would stay here again.
We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness. We loved the hot tub, considering it is one of few that actually works the way it should. You can't beat this hotel for the price and we will definitely be back in the near future!
The rooms are clean. The facilities are up to date. The breakfast is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. it is quiet as well even when the trucks start up in the morning. Very easy access to the other attractions in the area.
This stay was the first night of a two day travel. Newport is a good place to stop over with several venues of restaurants. We had been traveling all day and were very tired. It was a pleasure to be greeted by a team of professionals that made sure check-in and out was without any snags. The room was nicely decorated and the beds comfortable. Next morning breakfast was a pleasure to wake up to before continuing our travel.
We were on our way home from our honeymoon and decided to get a room for the night. Staff was very friendly. The lobby, conference area, and restaurant was nice. The hotel room smelled musty and I had to use my asthma inhaler in order to stop wheezing. We did not report it since we were told it was the last room. Being a holiday weekend, finding a hotel room was difficult. At twice the normal rate, I expected a better hotel experience. Room access is from the outdoors like a motel and it was noisy. They served a hot breakfast and a variety of cold breakfast options. Doubtful, I would stay at this location again.
Love the walk up rooms-no creepy hallways! Clean and comfortable, fair price, somewhat recently remodeled. There was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in our bathroom, but the fragrance used otherwise wasn't nearly as strong as other hotels (thank you!). Some of the places we have stayed have had to air out for hours just so I don't get a headache from all the chemicals. Bed was springy soft but firm enough to be supportive. Hot breakfast was biscuits, American cheese omelets, gravy and sausage patties. All the cold offerings as well. Food was basic, but the seating was the most comfortable I've ever had for a hotel breakfast (booths & tables/chair choices). Friendly staff at the front desk, even a manager asking about how breakfast was as he refilled your coffee. Nice touches! We will be back next time we are this way!
Not the Taj Mahal but a nice room, quiet, with wi-fi and a good tv. (microwave and refrigerator in the room) Easy check-in, plenty of close in parking. Reasonable price with a good hot breakfast in the morning. Easy to get back on the highway. Happy we found this place
The front desk ladies are hands down super nice. We stayed in room 126 we were there for a week. they offer a hot breakfast every morning a great way to start your day before goi g out and adventuring. There is plenty of parking behind the hotel we trailered our sidexside down and never had a issue with parking. The room was very clean and the maid service was great you needed anything just ask. Beds were comfortable. Your pretty much close to a lot of attractions. I would highly recommend staying here. We had friends from Florida stay across the street at quality inn and they were not impressed at all they wish they would of booked best western.
We had a very nice time. Best Western is going to be the only place we are going to look for in the future. We was so happy with the room, location so close to places to eat. The people so nice made us feel welcome.
Parking was convenient just outside the door. The breakfast was at a restaurant next to the hotel and it was good...much better than most Best Westerns we've been staying at lately. While not fancy and an older facility it was satiafactory.
The hotel has been updated and they did an excellent job. The room was like brand new - the exterior was in really good shape. We felt very comfortable at this property. Also, it was pet friendly - which is why we chose it - but even if I didn't have a pet, I would stay there again. Best price too.
The room was spacious and very clean which was my top priority. All the personnel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay as long as you avoid the hot cooked items. Cereal, fruit and yogurt were great.
Great view of the mountains. Easy access to the interstate and a variety of restaurants and gas stations. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff was courteous and efficient. Pets were welcome and had a nice area to walk in. Parking lot is well lit but the room interior remained quite dark. We were pleased with how comfortable the mattress was. Spent 4 nights there while we worked and vacationed.
Right off the Interstate! The front desk staff made check in/out so easy. The housekeeping staff keep the rooms clean and neat. The breakfast is satisfying. Although it sits on a main road, the rooms are quiet. Best Western is my go-to place when I visit Newport!
The stay at Best Western was awesome! The staff was very professional, the rooms were nice, and the building and grounds were well maintained! The location was very convenient to Sevierville and the Muscle Car Museum!
Overall stay was good. Disappointed that restaurant/bar advertised as being attached to the motel had closed t's doors. Other restaurants are close by, so not at a total loss. Our stay was enjoyable as room was very comfortable.
We were in Newport looking for property. We stayed here 3 nights. The room was very clean and the staff was very nice. We'd definitely stay here again. Breakfast was good, even with the COVID restrictions!!!
The room was dirty, no handsoap in room, and writing on bathroom walls. There wS dust and handprints all over the room telling me that they in fact are not cleaning extra at all. The room looked worse than a room before covid.
This is my second time staying at this motel. The rooms and the motel are clean. Some of the friendliest staff I have ever dealt with. Beds I would rate about a 6 but we all like different levels and feels. Both times we stayed the breakfast was good. Biscuits and gravy and pre made packaged omelette but they have a good taste. The outside pool is also nice. There is a Ruby Tuesday's and Cracker Barrel and a Waffle House within walking distance. Not too far from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains. I would definitely stay there again.
Eric and his staff are members of the community and give back to programs in their area. I discovered this hotel while traveling through Newport, and I'm certainly glad I did. They make you feel like family. They suggested terrific restaurants for me, various places to visit while in town, were constantly asking me what they could do to help my stay even better. From the terrific decor inside the lobby, to the rooms overlooking the city, to the friendly surroundings, this place is the ONLY place I will stay in the Newport area, and it is “home” when I'm there.
We arrived a bit early and Lorraine checked us in with no problems. Earlier in the week, I had called to check something on the rooms we booked and spoke with Lorraine, who was an angel. So it was great to meet her in person. She was a hoot! Great customer service!
The hotel itself is nice, but the room that we stayed in had a humming/whistling noise coming from the A/C heating unit. This was all night long. It did not matter if the unit was on or off. The next morning when I checked out I told the front desk of the issue. At first they were concerned, but then it appeared that they had heard this complaint before and said that they would tell maintenance. I was extremely disappointed by their response to the issue.
I absolutely loved my stay. The room was clean, the jacuzzi was amazing, and I slept so good that I ended up staying another night. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Honestly you cannot beat the price either. I will always stay at the Newport Best Western!
There was a cockroach coming out of light socket! We travel and never had a problem like this before. We were very dissatisfied and an inconvenience for us to find another place to stay. Then part of our party was not fully reimbursed for the stay which is not very good customer service.
Everything is a 10 but very far from gattlinburg long commute from downtown. Very nice staff, very clean hotel. Good breakfast. Very hot water nice decor. Comfortable mattress and pillows I would definitely recommend
As usual our room was clean and comfy and our check in was seamless. The host that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The lobby for the hotel is very pleasant and inviting. We have stayed at this location on several occasions and will stay there again.
Because of Lorraine we had an excellent stay. She went out of her way to help us and made us feel very welcome. Priceline had overbooked another hotel and we were stranded at 10:00 pm after having innumerable delays and problems from Michigan--an incredibly hard day. Thank you, Lorraine. Your calm demeanor made us relax immediately.
Due to a snow storm we were without power and did not have an alternate heat source . We thought it best to get a room for the night however they had no rooms available..until the manager himself cleaned a room for us so that we were able to have a warm room to stay in. This happened on Christmas day. Eric went above and beyond and out of the goodness of his heart cleaned the room for us. We are so grateful to Eric and Lorraine. We will definitely recommend Best Western to all travelers...comfortable beds, clean rooms and wonderful Southern hospitality.
We chose to stay at the Best Western in Newport due to last minute plans and room availability. The room was nice, clean and quiet. The front desk people were very friendly during check-in and check-out. The breakfast is effected by current events but the staff was very friendly and got our food quickly.
Excellent value, comfortable beds, remodeled/updated decor. Fridge had small freezer compartment which was great for re-freezing the ice packs for the cooler. Several restaurants within a 3-4 min walk. Breakfast options were a pleasant surprise: eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy or 3 different options for To Go bag.
This hotel is located just off the interstate and next to alot of places to eat. Rooms are clean but alittle outdated but still a good place to stay. I will stay here again if i am on my way to the beach.
I don't normally stay in motels preferring Hotels instead, but found ourselves in need this week and chose Best Western because they allowed pets. I was very pleasantly surprised to find the rooms very clean and the beds very new and comfortable. I am a bed snob so that is saying a lot. The staff was super nice and accommodating allowing us to have a late check out because we had to be in a meeting on a call. I would certainly stay here again as it was also very quiet. The only thing that would of been nicer is that they had a bigger green space for the pets to play and go potty,
I got here and I was disappointed because the doors were outside, so I did not feel safe. Then, when I got in my room, it looked clean, but it was not. I looked for a place to plug in my laptop and a place to use it. There was no desk area or table, so i couldn't do that. When I found a plug near the chair behind the curtain, there was an old nasty cup and a bunch of nasty debris. When I called about it, a person came to clean, but all she did was pick up the cup and use a couple of wash clothes to seemingly "sweep" the debris up. This was not cleaning the room. The television remote was sticky. There was no warm water at all. I could get warm water from the sink or from the shower. The beds were hard and uncomfortable.
The check-in was fast and friendly and it appears they are following COVID protocol. Our room was clean and quiet. Parking in front of the door was a plus for us. The location is great, with restaurants such as Cracker Barrel and Ruby Tuesday within a short walk.
Check-In took under two minutes and the room was very clean. Hot breakfast sandwiches were served to go, and they were actually pretty tasty. Very good room, and they are keeping up with new cleanliness guidelines inspired by COVID.
Let us check in early about 10am. Great staff and nice area i would recommend. Quiet and comfy Clean but nothing fancy 12pm checkout. Great place to get some sleep Its close to I40 and lots of restaurants
Very friendly staff! Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. They have the BEST breakfast but due to covid they cant. The breakfast bag they serve is good. Great price for a king bedroom! Highly recommend!!!
On a 10 day trip from AZ to NC stayed here as it was at the cross roads. Price is reasonable. I had stayed at a Radisson for a couple dollars more, but this BW surpassed it because the staff is so accommodating and friendly. I felt like my stay was their priority. The room was clean, service excellent, best COVID breakfast on the road. At this time the hotel has been recently renovated. The room is well appointed and spacious. My only complaint is the shower head would not adjust.
Very clean, new appearing room. Breakfast had a really great selection. No issues with the internet. Quick check in and out. I would definitely recommend staying here to others on your way out west or east.
First of all, their rate was clearly advertised on roadside sign. It WAS the price, not a come on. Clerk was friendly, saw how tired I was from driving in mountains and having traffic backups. Assigned me room in the back as I requested and imagine my surprise it had a jacuzzi! Room was very clean, including the bathroom. Breakfast was hot and varied. Attendant was there, keeping things clean. VERY good experience. ONLY downside was no additional blanket in room.
Needing a place to stay when weather and road conditions were dangerous we stopped in Newport, TN. We had a choice of places to stay but selected BW. I'm glad we did. From Wina at the front desk who welcomed us with a ready smile and checked us in quickly to a clean, quiet room we were glad BW was our choice.
This was our first time staying at the Best Western Newport. But we are already planning our next visit for when we are returning home later this month. Front desk staff were all so friendly and genuine! You can tell they value their guests. All the rooms have been recently remodeled so the beds, linens and furnishing are all comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!
We always stop here on our way to Myrtle Beach. The hotel is great. Rooms are nice and clean and recently updated. The breakfast in the morning is great as well. The best part I would say is the wonderful staff. Don't forget to check out the pool and hot tub. Cracker Barrel is literally right next door and there's even a sidewalk leading there.
We were in town for the Skybridge of Gatlinburg. The hotel was a pretty drive away and easy to find right off I-40. The rooms were recently updated and clean. The hotel soap and bath samples were amazing and I plan to buy more! The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was good with hot buffet. There is no coffee maker in the room. Has all the other amenities though. We were in room 257. Would not recommend as it is next to stairs and we heard people and bags bumping down them all hours of night and morning. Also the lights outside the room also light up the inside of the room. We rigged the curtains to close better so we could block out some of the light.
First the call center was great, offered us a Jacuzzi suite with our free promotional stay. They were very professional and answered all our questions. The property was nice, close to everything we wanted and the on sight staff was very friendly and professional. We will stay there again.
We decided to stop at the Best Western in Newport for a rest on our way home from Thanksgiving holiday. The motel was very clean with super comfortable beds. Check in went very smoothly. The rooms are definitely in the process of being remodeled our room had been remodeled recently. The only problem was our room had a ventilation problem in the shower stall. The ceiling was covered in drops of water at the end of the shower. Breakfast was probably the best continental breakfast I have had at a motel we've ever stayed at. The staff was super friendly it was almost like staying with family, Look forward to stopping in on our next trip.
Well the cost was advertised that every room was the same price. Indeed it was. They continue to renovate the motel. Our room had recently been done. Very clean. Nice new beds, bath, etc. Quiet. The is a karaoke bar attached well away from most of the rooms. The breakfast was great. Looks like at one time the breakfast area had been part of a restaurant. Again, very clean. Great offerings. One of the best motel places for a breakfast. I would stay here again. Tons of parking. Close to other places to eat if you want.
nice rooms, easy access to I40, excellent restaurant options, walmart within walking distance if you forget anything, gas stations within 2 blocks, breakfast offered is a mix of hot and cold items, ice machines available, plenty of parking, beautiful views of mtns, very friendly staff. zero complaints.
Great place price great hospitality awesome you feel like home wii recommendation to all that are traveling through and needs a great hotel for a night or longer easy access to I 40 many places to eat around in walking distance so friendly and plenty of truck parking got this place on a must stop when traveling through this area
Took my folks on a short vacation we stayed 2 nights at this hotel very pleasant place and good location to the activities we were doing and the places we were to visit Will we no doubt say here again
I was very satisfied with my stay here. Room was clean..great hot breakfast with alot of different choices. I also like the fact that you have acess to your car right outside your hotel room and only a few steps to the restaurant there.
The Newport Best Western happens to fall about half of the distance between destinations on a trip I often take. I stay there every time and it's always a good stay. They have ample parking, the rooms are clean and what I expect for the price, and the breakfast is always good. The staff consistently sets this place apart from others - they treat you like a guest in their home. Lorraine and Wina helped me on this most recent stay. Thanks for everything!
Would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling or just want to stay at an excellent hotel with a hot and very good breakfast all at a very reasonable price . Manager and staff are very helpful and accomadating. Very clean rooms
We found this motel to be very clean and up to date. The room was sizable and smelled good, not like orders were being masked. The free breakfast bar could not be beat with a full line of offerings surely to please everyone.
The staff was very helpful and polite, we are looking forward too visit again the rooms was very nice and the breakfast was excellent . the view was nice to look out and see the mountains and the different colors of the trees.
The Best WEstern in Newport Tenn. has a wonderful friendly staff. And they will stick with you to help however they can. Front desk provided coffee when we checked in. Then our smoke alarm started going off and they fixed it!! So our night was peaceful. They advertise a rate of $80.00 and true to their word that is what it was when we checked in. Amazing.
This is a typical Best Western. Clean, good service. Breakfast is what you'd except at this type of hotel. Nice thing is the breakfast is served in a restaurant so there is lots of seating. Would definitely stat here again. Get room in front, lots of truck and construction noise in back.
Excellent Service - Clean hotel, friendly staff - accommodating and attentive. I would definitely stay again. I needed tea and was given tea - I needed more shampoo and was given more without question and the staff were extremely sweet!!
Hotel in need of upgrade. Shabby appearance. Restaraunt /lounge and outdoor seating area very nice. Service at restaraunt /lounge fair. bartender,, who was also the waiter was more interested in talking to the locals, than waiting on other customers. Food was very very good, however.
This a very good and clean motel. Not sure if it is American owned but the staff were local mountain residents. Very friendly and willing to give advice of the area and assist in other ways. There are several restaurants close by. Notable a Cracker Barrel and a Waffle House. We ate at both restaurants. The food was good and good friendly service. Recommend this motel to any one traveling I-40 E/W through Newport.
We got into our hotel late so we just put our stuff down and went to bed. When we woke up in the morning there were ants all over the bathroom sink and counter and on the dressers. I had laid my toiletries on the counter and there were ants on the. Not to mention the sink dripped all night.
The hotel location was very convenient for my trip. The price was competitive and the room was clean. I'm a simple traveler, just wanting everything clean and in working order. This hotel did that at more. No complaints.
Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a nice TV and WiFi. Breakfast was included and the food was very good. The cost was extremely affordable. We would stay here again, Handicap shower was available and appreciated.
This motel is awesome. The motel is clean, comfortable and quiet. Used the laundry very clean, rooms clean lots of fluffy towels, pillows. Truck parking and pet friendly. The lounge and restaurant are also excellent. Great service, and food.
This Best Western was clean, comfy and had a great breakfast. Check-in and check-out was fast. The ladies at the check-in counter were very friendly and helpful. The reservation price was lowered at check-in because of a special they had going!
Stayed at Best Western motel in Newport, TN. A good motel. We have stayed at this motel numerous times.Clean and a very capable and accommodating staff. Motel was clean and some updates were in place and others are being made. It is a good location for find evening meals. There is a restaurant at motel. Easy motel to access and easy to return to the interstate from parking lot. I will stay there again.
Comfortable clean room and easy check in and out service. Breakfast was excellent and a good variety. Close to the interstate and restaurants. We were pleased with the stay. Everything was terrific and no complaints at all. Come expecting a great night.
This hotel was easy to get to. The front desk staff was friendly. Parking was plentiful and easy. Breakfast had real eggs which was very nice. The breakfast area is a little bit of a walk from the rooms which is ok unless it's raining or if walking is an issue for some people. Rooms were clean with individual doors to the outside.
Stayed two nights here and front desk people were extremely helpful. They have the best hot breakfast. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. The only disappointment is workout room was closed after 10:00 p.m. Hotel can also use some more lighting. Overall very good experience. Thanks to all the staff that made our stay comfortable.
My husband and I have stayed here overnight twice in 2 years while on road trips. The motel is popular with truckers and construction workers so engine noise might awaken other guests. I think the price and above average breakfast overweigh any negatives. Pros: recent renovation, clean overall, good breakfast, friendly staff, excellent price, restaurants (Ruby Tuesday and Cracker Barrel) next door Cons: small room, not cleaned under bathroom vanity, potential early morning noise We will visit agin and will recommend.
I thought I choose a higher end room with a jacuzzi. I was a little disappointed though. First my largest complaint is if I'm paying over $100 a night I should be able to get a bottle of conditioner. I asked the front desk and was told they only have shampoo and lotion....really??? Next: The room was comfortable but... The ceiling in the bathroom is peeling and disgusting. The refrigerator door should open the other way, very difficult to access. There are many little things that I could point out but I hate being picky.. Lastly the a/c unit needs service, the drain doesn't seem to work, so as a result you can hear continual water splashing when the fan is running, this should be addressed with routine service.
Clean and reasonably priced. Easy to find location and close to freeway, shopping, food, and gas. The rooms were up on a hill above the office, away from the main road, and with a view of the mountains. They also had a nice picnic area. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip. The desk clerk was professional and friendly. On our 6 week trip, this was one of the top 3.
I highly recommend the Newport, TN Best Western Inn. Good hot breakfast with many options. I often think of staying at a less expensive location, but when I walk into my room I realize why I stay here. The beds are very comfy, place is clean, hotel is kept updated, good hot breakfast, and entire staff is courteous. It's really a good value.
Our car broke down on the way down the mountain from Ashville, NC. Before that happened we stayed at a resort. It was nice, but overpriced. Then we had no choice to the night we broke down to stay at a very unkept hotel room. The next day we were able to stay at the Best Western Hotel until our car was fixed. It was completely suited for handicapped people. Very clean and had nice people and amenities. Pool and Jacuzzi was clean and enjoyable. Great experience, I would stay again.
Entrance to rooms are outside by or overlooking parking lots so very noisy the breeze ways were disgusting, the pool never gets closed because attendants are lazy to walk up and lock the gate (actual words from attendant) so who knows how many from the county are using this pool and hot tub.
Stayed at this hotel for the first time almost 2 weeks ago. Check in and check out was a breeze, both ladies at the desk were super friendly and nice. Room was clean. Breakfast was okay. Pool was green and smelled strongly of chlorine and no pool towels available. Not sure what was going on with that. Hotel was quiet despite a lot of cars in the parking lot. Overall I would stay here again! Thanks for a great visit!
I have stayed at this location for over 5 yrs. Rooms are nice. Exterior looks like it was recently renovated. the surrounding area and parking lot are well kept up. Staff is friendly, willing to help you if you ask. Breakfast is good. Would not stay anywhere else in Newport.
The staff is wonderful and the property is a good value. Everything was clean, updated, and in working order. We've stayed here regularly over the past six years or so and it's always a good experience.
Was a enjoyable night. Room a little small but very clean and comfortable. Great pool area and nice hot tub - kept clean. Enjoyed the on property bar and restaurant - mostly locals - had a great time. Great location, great staff and comfortable, and the price is right.
Not a bad value, for the money...the staff were very helpful. The location is close to the interstate and a Ruby Tuesday. The breakfast was above average and the eating area was clean and the food was fresh and hot. The housekeeping staff was helpful...The rooms are dated and well used but the cleanliness of the room was slightly above average. The only negative was the room had mice issues which I was promised would be taken care of and I was given a better rate upon checkout...since I only stayed one night I can only hope this was an isolated incident and will be remedied.
Nice room and good location with restaurants within walking distance. I only had two issues: 1} The lobby was difficult to find from the road, since there is no visible sign. 2} There were no working ice machines.
We stopped over night on our way to Hilton Head SC. Very clean, spacious room. I loved how the toilet and shower room was separate from the sink and dressing area, so no one had to wait on anyone getting ready in the morning. They provided a microwave and fridge, and we used both. The receptionist was very friendly and fast. Breakfast was average but welcomed. Easy off, easy back on the freeway. I think it is way over priced for a chain motel.
Jacuzzi tub looked clean , but was not. Once I filled it with water and got in , I turned on the jets and brown stuff started coming out in the water and all over me . I immediately got out and jumped in shower . I took pictures and showed the front desk . All she said was thank you so much for telling me , we cant fix it unless we know about it ! I was really disappointed considering that room cost more than the regular rooms without the jacuzzi tubs. The room also had a horrible smell like cat spray near the microwave and fridge .
This motel is close to I 40 and several restaurants, has all the comforts of home including a good breakfast nice rooms and was pretty quite was updated rooms did not see a pool has non smoking rooms staff was very nice
Great place to stay, beautiful views of the mtns, great pool area, breakfast and top notch rooms. Staff is amazingly helpful and the location is perfect for visiting the natural beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Extremely highly recommend this Best Western. Very clean, very friendly, very helpful. Loved the clean rooms, comfortable beds, huge showers, very good breakfast with a wide variety of food and drink choices. I however do not recommend the Michael's Bar next to this establishment due to the service sucks. Their is a wide variety of other restaurants close by and shopping places close by within walking distance. The location is within everything and just off the interstate.
My wife an I stayed at this Best Western in May 2019. We found this hotel very convenient from I-40. We were greeted courteously when we arrived and check in was a breeze. Our room was clean and spacious. The bath was clean and everything was in order. The Wi-Fi worked great. The water pressure in the shower was strong and was nice and hot. The TV was Directv with the interactive guide. The picture was clear. The heating and was quiet and efficient. The room was quiet from outside noises. The beds and pillow were comfortable. We passed by several cleaning ladies on our way out and even they were extremely polite and courteous. The breakfast was the item that stuck out the most about this stay. Of all our stays at all hotels this rated as the best breakfast of any. The food was hot, fresh and plentiful. The sausage, both links and patties, were in my opinion the best I have ever eaten. I even asked what brand it was. The ladies working the breakfast area were more than courteous and friendly. The breakfast area appeared to be an old restaurant and was large and had plenty of seating. Other hotels interested in seeing how a hotel should be managed, should come see this one. Well done Best Western Newport Inn! My only complaint was the refrigerator in the room had a terrible odor when I opened the door but was not an issue I was too concerned about. The next time I am in this part of TN I will not even look at the hotel options. This one is my first choice.
Stayed here many times always clean and nice people. Great breakfast. Nice clean pool and hot tub...grandkids love playing in the pool and hot tub. Grounds nice and kept up with plenty of parking. Would absolutely stay again .
the stAFF goes the extra mile to make sure your day starts out right in the breakfast room..location is pleasing, because it is close to all the attractions and far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be pleasant.
Four friends stopped here last night 5/24/19 at the last minute. We could have not asked for a better experience. The two ladies st the desk were very friendly but professional. I think we got the last two rooms. The rooms were great. Beds were awesome, the rooms were immaculate and it was quiet. There is an elevator if your room is on second floor even though doors to rooms are on outside. The breakfast that comes with the room was really good, big variety, and fresh. We were all pleased
Very Impressive motel for an excellent price. The rooms are freshly remodeled and very nicely decorated. The room ad facilities were very clean. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The bed was luxurious and had nice linens and pillows. The shower was great!!!
This hotel is very conveniently located just off the highway. It is an old style hotel where the rooms have exterior facing doors but all the rooms have been redone and the exterior is nice. If you get a first floor room, you can just park right in front of the door and walk 10 feet into the room, which is really nice if you don't like hauling luggage, coolers, etc. through hotels. The room was nice and clean, good TV (DirectTV with lots of channels), A/C worked great. The hot breakfast was nice and better than most since they have a real kitchen and cook real eggs (not the weird microwave ones you get at most places) and bake real biscuits and make real cream gravy. There were sausage patties, potatoes, yogurt bar, waffles, juice, pastries, etc. There is a Ruby Tuesday right in the parking lot and a bar/restaurant in the hotel. The price was really good - they were running a special - $69 for any room. Will definitely stay here again on my travels through Tennessee.
Clean. great rooms, great breakfast and allows dogs. I enjoyed my stay here. The breakfast was really good, along with typical items they have a yogurt machine with all the extras. A clean, nice dog friendly hotel is hard to find. This is one of them. Dog walk area with poop bags.
We stopped here for the night on our way to South Carolina - and had our daughter and her dog along. The property is nice with ample parking and a couple restaurants right there. We had a piece of furniture with a nasty stain on it - which kind of makes you feel a bit uneasy about the overall cleanliness of the room. The breakfast was quite good, and the overall service and friendliness of the staff was very good.
This hotel is almost like a diamond in the rough, though that is not to say that the surrounding area is similar to Detroit or anything like that. We stayed at this place on our way back from NC. This place has a bar and restaurant on site, and a pizza joint on site as well. The breakfast was pretty legit as well even though it was free, which most of the time the free breakfasts at hotels aren't all that impressive. I would definitely not hesitate to stay here again. The staff was amazing, and there are plenty of spaces to park even if you have a trailer that you are hauling around. Boom!
We happened to be eating at a restaurant near the hotel when we saw the sign. Decided to stop for the night and we were pleasantly surprised! The room was modern and very clean. Best Western has really upped their game. Breakfast the next morning was great as well. It was set up in the large adjoining restaurant, making it very pleasant to get items from the buffet. So much better than the typical sized complimentary breakfast situation.
Stopped here and took a chance on an older but totally renovated, large facility..."all rooms $87 including breakfast" The room did look entirely new except I question the carpet which looked a bit...uh,.dark. The thermostat didn't work right and the heating/AC unit made a racket allnight. The lady at the desk came to check it out and said the units in the other rooms" are much worse." The rooms are up a slight hill - the office is down below, with a bar and restaurant on one side and pizzeria on the other side. Apparently, the quite large, open 'breakfast room' is the pizza place at night and guest breakfast buffet in the mornings. The buffet was everything you could expect- from sausage gravy and biscuits, the usual eggs, waffles, pastries, cereals, hot and cold, fruit ( hidden in a small countertop fridge, etc. It was plentiful but should have been hotter- The price for the room and food cant be beat and would be ideal for kids sports teams on the road.
Female traveling alone with road closure preventing me from reaching my destination! Front Desk agent Lorraine greeted me warmly and gave me a well appointed, clean room. I had some difficulty with TV stations and Lorraine assisted in getting these for me. Great job!
Friendly staff, great view, clean, roomy, up to date, quiet at night. You cannot hear traffic noise or other guests.i like that they are pet and family friendly. The shower had good water pressure. Beautiful view
Best Western Newport is a great palce to stay. I am a frequent guest and I am always pleased. Michael's Restuarant has great food and is part of the hotel, no traveling to get great food. Staff are always spot on with service!
The room was a nice size and very clean. Good decor, nice easy chair, desk and fridge/microwave. Bed was comfortable. Thermostat controlled air/heat. Breakfast was one of the best we have had as a freebie. Biscuits, sausage and gravy. Hot eggs, lots of bakery items, cereal and a yogurt machine! We'll stay here for sure again.
This hotel is clean and looks newly refurbished. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast is delicious. This will be a regular stop for us! This is a pet friendly hotel, as well, but as a non-pet person, I did not not any pet smells or messes.
This is a great hotel if traveling with a pet...very accommodating, and nice large walking area. This is a good halfway point when we are traveling between SC and IN, and the price is right! The formerly dingy rooms have been upgraded and are very pleasant, if not spacious. The only drawback was that there was nobody at the front desk for check in for a full 15 mins., and there were several people in line waiting to check in. The front desk staffer was very pleasant and helpful when she arrived...said she was taking care of a "maintenance issue".
Great value for overnight with pets. Great area to pet walk plus they provide bags!! Great customer service-very friendly! Excellent breakfast...best on our trip! It's one of our “must” stops when we travel west!!
Pulled in around 10:30pm after pulling a trailer behind by Ram through an hour of snow and the front desk was friendly and happy to get us into our room as quickly as possible. Got us a room so that we could view our vehicle and also where our 2 Boxers could stay with us. Had breakfast before leaving and it was very good.
This is absolutely the best hotel I have ever stayed in! The staff is friendly and accommodating, their on-site restaurant/lounge is wonderful and their breakfast CANNOT BE BEAT!!! It's at the foothills of the Great Smokey Mts, making navigating the mountains in the morning very easy!!!
We spent one night in an end room at the Best Western Newport and were disappointed for $100.00. This place is old and had been refurbished. The room had a large TV and good internet connection but the A/C was super loud when it ran. The old front door to our room was difficult to operate. The rooms are separate from the main office and breakfast, so you have to walk outside to eat or use the front desk. There seems to be lots of contractors who stay there and and their trucks were in the main guest spots rather than the back open area. The breakfast is very nice with cold and hot selections and fresh fruit but nothing special. Certainly not worth $100.00/night and would not return
I was pleasantly surprised at how much we liked this hotel. Beds were comfortable. Rooms nicely decorated. Service was good. Free breakfast was good. For the price, I would definitely go back. Location was perfect.
The hotel featured updated rooms with nice hardwood floors and granite counter tops, but the beds are horrible. I didn't sleep well at all. Also, the curtains did not block the morning sun, so we were unable to sleep in as late as we would have liked. But again, it all comes down to the mattress quality.
Never had better at any price. However the price was low and I didn't expect much....shocked at how nice and clean our room was and breakfast was great! We would like to stay at this Inn on all our travels.
This place needs some serious cleaning The tub was nasty i had to go to walmart and buy cleaner myself to clean it! We paid a ridclious price to have to clean ourselves! The white headed lady that i saw just walking around is rude! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
I recently got a great job in the area. The place I was going to be staying at fell through though. Due to limited funds my kids and I ended up somewhere very uncomfortable for us, for a week. The owner of the Best Western allowed my kids and I to stay at his hotel for an entire week for a fraction of the cost. He offered and made it happen. It saved my job. I was 10 minutes away from leaving the whole place behind. The room is beautiful. Spotless and perfect for my kids and I. More then perfect. I cannot aptly explain the many things that God put into place for this man to be in the same place as us and offer to bless us so completely. Wonderful place and people. I was truly at the end of my rope. We were given a wonderful room too. The pool is open and super cool. The beds are comfortable, the water is hot and the people are great. I'd one hundred percent recommend this hotel.
Friendly & conscientious staff. Nicely updated rooms (love the decor...thanks to designers on colors and appearance). Reasonable rates. Nice breakfast, wonderfu; sttff service. Love staying here!Thank you!
The hotel is beautiful with a great price and close (30 miles) to Smoky Mountain National Park.We did not want to stay in more popular locales because of hoarders of people. This quiet and comfortable and the drives to the park just added to the beauty. Loved it!
We drove a long way escaping Hurricane Florence, and decided to call to see if this hotel had any rooms available. They offered reduced rates for hurricane evacuees, waived all pet fees, and were very concerned for us. We arrived a bit earlier than our check in time, but the staff said our room was already ready and allowed us to check in earlier. The room was very clean and well kept, and the bed was springy, yet comfortable. Breakfast had a good choice of options, and was delicious. The gym, although small, was very clean. They also offer a pool, but we did not use it during our stay. We had our pets with us and upon talking with the staff, they were willing to work with us for getting our rooms serviced and maintaining cleanliness, without allowing our pets to escape. The hotel is located maybe 2 min from a Walmart, along with several fast food places. The locals in the city were very nice and helpful to us. Overall its a nice, caring hotel, with a beautiful view, nearby many local stores, and surrounded by kind people.
Clean room, High speed wifi, enough space for a family with two kids lots of items in breakfast. Gatlinburg 1 hour away from here. so in case emergency stay...better to book here on very good rate. clean Gym and swimming pool available.
The desk clerks were so nice and sympathetic to those of us that evacuated from Florence! Rooms were nicely decorated and equipped. Very clean. They also allow pets which was so important as we could not leave them behind! Location was close to restaurants, gas, Walmart. Price was very reasonable. Did not get a chance to experience the breakfast. Would definitely recommend!
After only spending 2 days in Myrtle Beach we received the mandatory evacuation order for hurricane Florence. In order to avoid the traffic in the mass Exodus the folling morning we left Monday evening. After several hours of driving, very heavy traffic we booked a room at this location at 1am. Arrived at 2-230 am. The young lady at check in had taken our call, was ready for us with a smile and cheerful attitude that could only be described to my weary , tired eyes as angelic. She explained express check out, amenities, breakfast and we were on our way to the room in just a couple of minutes. The room was very clean, well decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The a/c worked so good we actually turned it down a little. The hotel is easy to access, secure location, clean, well kept, quiet. The next morning we went to the free breakfast buffet that included scrambled eggs, sausages, link and Patty, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereals, rolls, fruit too many items to list here. The ladies working the buffet kept it well stocked, immaculately clean and checked with guests if anything else was needed. Overall we would highly recommend this hotel to travelers not only for the great attitude, service of the employees but it's cleanliness, comfort ,breakfast at such a low price is phenomenal.
A very nice stay. The staff were very nice, the room was really clean. Most of the rooms are not attached to the main building, a little bit different of a setup. But not a problem. The most exciting part for us was the incredible breakfast setup and options!
we couldn't stay in our usual hotel because it was over booked. I called to make my reservation directly with the hotel and we got a better rate than on the internet, AAA, and AARP. The hotel staff was great and inviting and gave us what ever we needed for our stay. the breakfast was great, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, yogurt, waffles, fruit, cereal and more. PET FRIENDLY. great location right off the highway and close to fast food, restrarunts, Walmart and Lowes. Plus, places close enough to walk to. didn't use the pool but it looked nice. will definetly stay again,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The room is clean and quiet with enough space for two travellers. The bed is comfortable but the pillows are a bit small. The hot breakfast is very good, so as the coffee. The morning sunrise view is excellent. Will stay here again next time.
Very friendly staff! Great breakfast. I would definitely stay here again! The rooms were nice and very clean. We arrived late in the evening and was exhausted from traveling. The staff made it an easy process for check in.
The staff here goes above and beyond to help or assist your needs in anyway they can. My company also has an employee that stays here once a week. and they treat him like family. Also I might add the FREE breakfast is better than any.
The idea was camping at Cosbi, but weather conditions didn't allowed. No good or decent hotel over that area, so we drove back to Newport. The hotel rooms are very nice and clean. Breakfast is included, in a nice dinning room. Food was great.
We stopped here, overnight, while traveling for business. We had a trailer with us. The parking lot had plenty of spaced for trailers, and semis. The front desk staff was very friendly, and helpful. We had a king bed, which was very comfortable. The room was very clean. The hotel is right off the expressway, but we heard no road noise. They offer a breakfast buffet, in the morning. It was much nicer than typical hotel breakfasts. If traveling, in this area again, we will definitely stay here again.
This is our 4th time staying here on our way from Indiana to South Carolina. We love it so much that we made sure to get here early this year so we had plenty of time to enjoy the pool. We were disappointed that the pizzeria was closed but had a great experience at Cracker Barrell. They had very sturdy to-go containers that allowed us to pack up breakfast from the buffet (which had great choices!) and hit the road early which led to us getting to vacation early! The mini fridges are nice for leftovers!
The last time we stayed here was about 4 years ago and it was perfect stay. Since then, the breakfast quality has gone from excellent to average. They were doing plumbing work the next morning but we only got a couple of hours sleep due to the flushing noise in the bathroom. At least the front desk said they were sorry. Stayed on June 17.
We spent the night while traveling through the area. Very good choice. Check in was fast and easy, the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to eat. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a nice assortment. Every staff member we saw spoke to us and asked if we needed anything.
This hotel had comfortable rooms and was reasonably priced. We saw one live roach in the room, but, being from Florida, it was neither surprising, nor disturbing. At home, we use Spectracide Bug Stop, which we spray around the baseboards and in the cabinets with sinks. We rarely see a live roach during the summer, and Bug Stop is safe for pets. And yes, we killed the roach. We would stay at this hotel again.
This hotel came across more like a Best Western Plus, but it is a straight-up Best Western. Consistent BW experience with their updated rooms and amenities. The breakfast buffet was the best I have had at a BW; really well-done. You can park right outside your room and there is a bar/restaurant, Michael's, that is attached to the hotel. Very good food and most of the other food options in the immediate areas are chains. Excellent front desk experience at both check-in and check-out. All in all, high value for the money spent. I left a $5 tip for housekeeping and a $4 tip for the breakfast servers. I am a BW Gold, maybe getting close to Platinum. Dave Saunders, Los Angeles
The motel staff was very helpful an polite. The rooms very clean an well stocked on everything. Beds were very comfortable an clean. The pool was clean an well stocked on towels for outside clean patio furniture.
i have stayed at this motel many times. The area is beautifull. I travel with my pet and they are a pet friendly. There are many nice restaurants nearby. My room was clean and neat ad the staff was welcoming and friendly. I have always found this motel to be a good value for the money.
Disgusting. Temperature in Room was 71. Then, heater did little. Those who rent Rooms 128, forget it. Go across the street Was a drunk at the desk who I continually asked to pipe down to understand direct
It was getting late and we were looking for a restaurant and found Michaels which happened to be attached to the Best Western. After eating we decided to stay at this Best Western. Obtained a very good rate for a Saturday night. Room was located on the back side away from the roadway and was very quiet. Older hotel but has been updated and well maintained. It does appear to market to truckers with a lot of truck parking on the upper level, however, the trucks were not an issue with us. Did has a pool but did not have time to use. Would return if not getting through Knoxville.
This is an awesome place to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool area is very nice. Great work out room. Rooms are very nice and clean. Large screen TVs. Coffee pot & refrigerator. And it has an awesome free breakfast.
My Husband and I are truck drivers, and we stay in hotels 5-7 nights a week, and we ALWAYS stay at this Best Western, and we wouldn't dare stay anywhere else but here!! The staff is always friendly, Jessica, Eric, Katherine, just to name a few, we always stay in the same rooms, 135,137, 139, always nice, clean and comfortable!! they have guest laundry, and allow pets. I highly recommend this Best Western to one and all!!
We stay at the Newport BW twice a year each time we travel from Florida to Michigan. The location is perfect for us. We were happy to see the Michaels has a new menu. The room was clean and looked good. The pet area is good for our dog that travels with us.
Great value, clean rooms. Rooms have been through a fairly recent renovation and are very modern looking. Exterior is a little dated though. Breakfast choices are numerous and pretty tasty. One of the VERY few pet friendly places available. Overall, a good choice in the Newport TN area.
I stayed here because they accept CLC for work. Check-in went smoothly. Front desk woman was very friendly. The first room that I got was a joining room which I hate so I went back and they put me in another room very easily. I forgot to tell them that I hate joining rooms so that one ones on me. The second room was nice but had a very loud air conditioner. I went back to the front desk and asked for another room. Which she easily gave me one down just a little bit from where I was. She warned me that other people had said that the air conditioners were a little bit loud to them and that it might just be the air conditioner in all the rooms. I got to the third room and turned on the AC and it was loud also. Not as loud as the second room that sounded like washing machine. Otherwise everything was perfectly fine.
BW Newport is the top rated hotel in town. You will get a pleasant check-in, park-at-the-door (for first floor rooms), spacious and clean rooms. Our bed was nice and we had a good sleep. Breakfast was above average.
Stopped here on the way to and again on the way home from Myrtle beach My husband had stopped here before when trucking very nice staff and a bar restaurant on the premises, band one night was a bonus. Food on the return trip was good. Breakfast was good both times Pool was closed due to season.
Room was clean..beds were comfy, location was good! Jessica was awesome during check in and during our check out! Breakfast was good as well,so much to pick from! Wonderful place to stay! Would definitely stay again!
My husband and I were traveling thru TN to visit family and it got late and was very cold Dec 29th. We decided to get a room for the night to escape the cold but we had our 2 dogs with us and most places were booked or did not accept pets. The BW had a king room and had pet rooms available on ground floor which was perfect. They had an area to walk the dogs with waste removal bags. In the morning you get a hot breakfast included which had bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and biscuits & gravy. The night staff was friendly and very accommodating. Our heater went off and we couldn't get it to come back on and the desk clerk came right to our room and fixed it. I will consider staying with BW again since our stay was so positive.
This location is right off of 40 and the hotel is extremely nice. It has a wonderful complimentary breakfast that has lots of seating for you and the family. The food was great and the hostess was very friendly. Staff were friendly and helpful with information. Would stay again......
My wife and I have stopped by this location many times on our way to visit family in S.C. and we live in Jersey. Rooms here are awesome and location is excellent. As advertised on the interstate Michaels Bar and Grill , This used to be a highlight of our trips, locals are very friendly and one of the waitresses Caffey is so awesome. We enjoyed having a few drinks and getting a bite to eat and head to a very well appointed room. But our last trip everything had changed . We ckd in went to our room and went down for drinks and dinner. We noticed there were not that many cars there but bar was full with locals and some we knew. We went to get a table and they were all reserved my wife asked someone we knew and they said different mgmt had taken over and things were changing. We finally got a seat at the bar and did get a bite and had a few drinks. The odd thing was no one ever came in during roughly 90 mins and took one of the reserved seats, but others came in and no where to sit. My question is why reserve a seat if no one is showing up , looks like you need to turn your tables and have room for others coming in to eat. We could tell from the locals that they were sorta dissapointed with the new mgt. We dont know whether or not to stop by or not will all seats be reserved? Lets Hope it reverts back like it was!!!
I stayed with my family (husband and two teens), basically we chose this place because it was the most affordable within the area. But it was good, it was clean and where they have the breakfast it was spacious and organized. The ladies working were not that welcoming but, whatever...
Great place to stay!! Good food and great people! An old fashioned motel that has been completely renovated! We were so happy with our entire experience. Thanks staff at Best Western in Newport Tennessee!
The staff was very pleasurable and friendly upon our arrival. the handicapped room on the first floor was clean and offered easy access as parking was in front of our room. this location does have a new elevator available should you get second floor lodging. The breakfast that is offered as part of you stay was and has always been a good dining experience .Fresh scrambled eggs(not plastic tasting pre frozen )bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, toast, rolls yogurt, hot and cold cereal, milk, coffee and a variety of juices and fresh fruit are available. Better than a fast food breakfast on the run and eaten in your vehicle.
We had several Church activities and it was our anniversary also. Since we live in a town about 25 miles away we decided to stay in town overnight. I cannot say enough good things about this Best Western. Everyone was very nice and helpful and the room was great. Clean and I would tell anyone that this is a great place to stay.
We always stay at this hotel when we travel from St. Louis, MO, our home city to my niece's, Charleston, SC. It's been updated, always clean, staff super friendly. Honor requests upon making reservations. Price is reasonable compared to others of same quality. Huge breakfast, hot and cold foods. We arrive at dinner time and always walk over to Ruby Tuesday's which is basically a few steps away, almost shares a parking lot. Also Best Western has the best free rewards system.
We found this hidden gem while traveling. Great new rooms, comfy beds and pillows. Nice and quiet location, have stayed here twice now, will always stop here to stay! Great breakfast, better than expected !
Was very impressed with the service and cleanliness of the rooms. Lorraine was very professional at the Front Desk and it was an excellent place to walk dogs despite being close to Interstate with the big parking lot in the back.
Comfortable, very nice updated and clean rooms. Very friendly staff. My grand children and I loved the free full breakfast buffet. I didn't have a reservations but Best Western in Newport treated us as if we did. Checking in and out was done with ease. I was offered a rewards card and I accepted. I will be staying at another BW in the near future.
We were on a mission to make it as close to NC as possible before stopping for the night. Newport was the perfect place to stop. My sister raved about the great breakfast this particular hotel had. It wasn't what she remembered, but more of a standard hotel breakfast. I was really looking forward to home fries and bacon, but they had 2 types of sausage instead. The eggs were decent as was the biscuits and gravy. It did the trick and got us on the road at a decent time.
This was a nice Pet Friendly Hotel! So glad that we stopped here for the night. Check-in was fast with friendly staff. Nice clean rooms & comfortable beds. Hot breakfast was much better than most hotels!????
We were driving to Asheville, NC and decided to stay at this Best Western near Newport, TN because it was convenient to the highway and dog-friendly. The hotel was clean , staff was friendly, we had a mini-frig and microwave in the room. They gave us a dog-friendly room at one end of the hotel, which was quiet. In the morning, we had a hot breakfast and were able to get a coffee to go from the Keurig in the lobby.
The room was nice and clean and updated. The Hotel was quiet. They had a great room for breakfast. Plenty of seating and decent amount of food to choose from. At night the restaurant Serves pizza. There is also a small bar attached, however we didn't go. Staff was very nice.
This is at least our 3rd or 4th stay here We like the location and the breakfast. The hot breakfast is hard to beat! Gas stations are also close There is no elevator to the second floor. Stairs are covered.
We enjoyed staying at the Best Western Inn in Newport, Tn. very much. We stayed on our trip north and again going back home to S.C. We stayed at a room on the back side of the motel. It was quiet and restful. The dog area for our Service Dog was close to the room. Very convenient for us. I would recommend this motel to friends and family.
They did not tell us there was a problem with the water lines until after we took a shower and were covered in muddy water. If you knew there was a problem, why not tell someone before they are in a disgusting situation? Also, why not at the least offer another room, or bottles of water to rise with? Also, did you make you coffee with the muddy water? If you did there was obviously clean water somewhere. And, if not then that is even more disgusting.
The person who checked us in couldn't have been nicer. Our room was very clean although pretty small! But the price was excellent. We walked right down the stairs to Ruby Tuesday. Breakfast was good-eggs, 2 kinds of sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt, fruit, waffles, pastries. I would suggest a room on the backside-the ftont is a bit noisy. We would gladly stay here again.
We arrived after dark and had a hard time locating the entrance. We could see the large flashing sign but the lobby was in a different building. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. A little noisy from traffic sounds.
It's not the Ritz but it was clean, comfortable and has a great breakfast that's come free with your stay. If needed we would definitely stay here again. Not a five star resort but all the stars we needed but was all the stars we needed. For the price Best Western can't be beat.
Best Western offers a great hotel for reasonable prices. The rooms are modern and always very clean. The beds are comfortable. Plenty of linens, soap, shampoo and conditioner are supplied. I enjoy walking on the treadmill in the fitness room after riding several hours in the car. Breakfast is always satisfying!
The employees were very friendly and made us feel like we were the only guest..our room was very clean , plenty of towels. The breakfast bar food was really good not dried out from sitting and the server continuously checked to make sure there was plenty of food..Very good experience..Thanks to all the staff who made it possible.
This hotel stands out. Located on the edge of the Smoky Mountains so has great views. The hotel was very clean with friendly and helpful staff. I also enjoyed the full breakfast which is included in the very reasonable price. I will book this hotel on my next trip.
Have stayed here several times. Friendly staff, willing to help make your stay a pleasant one. Good clean rooms, good breakfast. Is located right off the interstate. Room rates I believe are a bit too high.
The staff was great to work with, rooms are very nicely remodeled. Best free breakfast anywhere we have stayed. Location is great when visiting the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area. Away from the busy tourist locations but close enough to drive.
nice and clean with all amenities. have stayed at other Best Westerns and none was better regarding services, breakfast options, cleanliness, etc. would definitely stay there again in the future if in the area.
worst stay I have ever had at a best western. The front desk staff was great..her name was Jessica.. Our tub filled up with water when we took a shower..it took forever for the water to go down. we had 4 showers to take so we had to wait 20 minutes between showers..The beds were terrible. They were so uncomfortable and extremely hard.. The shower head was messed up..The fridge would come out from the wall every time we opened it, The hot tub smelled very heavy with chlorine we had to get out immediately, We will never stay at the Best Western again
This hotel is just off the interstate and easy to find. The first thing you notice upon entry is the lobby, which is very well appointed with modern touches. They have a small Keurig coffee maker with K-cups available for guests who might want coffee (the only choice was a mild blend however). This is a motel where you can park in front of your room if you get first floor. The facility is sprawling but they do have an elevator. The problem is that you might have a very long walk to your room, depending on where your second floor room is located if you need to use the elevator. That is because the elevator is located at the far end of the facility. Our room was very nicely decorated and had a full size sofa (some king rooms at this motel have only an easy chair and are smaller). It appears the motel has been recently remodeled because everything seemed new and fresh and very nicely decorated. The refrigerator and microwave are in the bathroom vanity area. In fact the refrigerator was built into the vanity cabinet and the microwave was suspended above it. The in room coffee was very difficult to find as it was located in a closed cabinet just above the microwave. If you are shorter than 5'4” you might have trouble opening that cabinet. We slept fine but I did wish they had softer pillows - I had a hard time punching the pillows down. Breakfast was served nice and early at 0630 and they had an item I've never seen before - chicken nuggets!! I also liked that the scrambled eggs were real!! There were lots of choices and we were very satisfied. The attendants were also on top of things and started refilling dishes before they had emptied. I don't want to finish this review without mentioning Stephanie. She assisted us when we checked in and she could not have been more responsive to our needs - she was truly customer service oriented. She even ensured the “children” left the pool at 2200 so that I could get a restful night's sleep.
great place to stay with family. Very clean and neat. the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had alot to choose from, and everything was hot and great. The beds were very comfortable, bath and room was very clean. i would stay here again.
The room was on the small side but was clean and up to date. Will stay again next trip going this way. Nice for a one night on the road trip. Drive Sleep Go. Did not eat in morning - got a early start.
Good people, excellent service - no complaints ! I like easy - and this was.. we actually don't rest much on vacation , but here we could....We will stay there again...The only regret I had was they had a beautiful pool -we didn't have time to use, rooms were nice n cool, and our maid kept things ship -shape !
We were fortunate to by random pick this hotel on our recent trip as sometimes we travel and will decide late whether to spend the night or keep traveling. The staff was professional and friendly. The breakfast bar had an adequate variety of foods and drink. The coffee was excellent! Also, this is a pet friendly hotel with a decent walking area and they provide doggie waste bags. We are glad to become Reward Members because of this stay.
Courtesy by all of the staff , the cleanliness of the rooms, and the healthy breakfast provide by the cooks has always been a hallmark of this location. Always providing handicapped rooms on the first level for our needs has been important to us. The location is close to such tourist attractions as Dolly Ville, Bush Bean Factory, and mnany other attractions.
This hotel is a great place to stay, and is dog friendly. When you walk outside. Every place you look has a spectacular view of the Smokey Mountains. It is convenient to the expressway, without all the expressway noise.
We booked here by accidental chance when looking for a property near Asheville, NC after the total eclipse. The rooms are very spacious, more so than the previous two places we had stayed at. The restaurant/breakfast area was also very spacious and had a nice variety of items to choose from. This is a comfortable, clean, and very affordable Best Western to stay in and am pleased with our stay.
Due to the eclipse party goers I could not find a room in Ashville where I had planned to stay. I was about to give up trying and drive straight through when I stopped in Newport and the Best Western hotel had a room. Thank you for the service.
Motel was recently renovated. Clean, friendly, many restaurants near by. Location is easy access from highway. Overall good value for the money. I booked four rooms for two weeks later when I'll be in area again.
The hotel and staff were excellent! The only minor issue was housekeeping waking us up a few hours before checkout after a long night at the races! Overall we will stay again, but maybe just put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. Great Place to stay!
This hotel is a great place to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. Once we parked, everything we needed or even wanted was available. We enjoyed a delicious hoagie sandwich and we relaxed in the private, quiet pool and spa.The next morning, we relaxed more and enjoyed a superb breakfast. I highly recommend the Best Western in Newport, TN to all varieties of travelers - truck drivers, dog owners, and anyone needing a break. in addition, we were able to take care of personal business with the aid of the staff and hotel fax.
On way home from Beach in South Carolina and stopped with family for overnight. We had three rooms. Excellent value, super clean and all staff extremely friendly and competent. I highly recommend this BW!
Best bang for your buck! Clean, comfortable, great staff, lots of restaurants nearby, and pet friendly...$10. Love this place! Rolling praries in the back, well lighted lots, felt very safe here. Try Deb's Drive In just down the road...awesome food, come to your car! Also the staff is very friendly and accomidating. The breakfast is the best I've seen. Scrambled eggs, cheese, salsa and all kinds of yummies, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, etc. not even kidding! Great coffee too!
Very clean and functional room (that's means a little small). Nice to park very near your room. Shower was very easy to adjust water temp and clean. Brand new towels in room and plenty-4 bath towels in King room. Breakfast was better than most chains (Comfort Inns or Holiday Inn Express), liked to breakfast room which was very quiet and relaxing. I was on the road side of property and there was some noise (it was Friday night) however, nothing that prevented me from good night's sleep.
We stopped over here on our way from Nashville to Myrtle Beach and it was just perfect. It's not a 5 star hotel but it is very well maintained, obviously newly updated with everything in working order and a comfortable bed. The front desk staff is super nice and the free full breakfast is worth the stay! Homemade biscuits and gravy are outstanding! We would definitely stay here again.
Everything was really nice. Only complaint was the pillows. Not a traditional pillow had approx 8 small pillows. Made it uncomfortable to sleep on. Breakfast was really good and the staff was very welcoming. Great place to stay.
Having our room on the first floor with a door to the parking was a plus. The noise level / sound proofing was terrible. The A/C worked well and was quiet. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was good but the sink faucet leaked and only dispensed hot water.
Clean is the most important thing to me, and it was clean. Bed was very comfortable, Linens were spotless. . Restaurants very close, convenient to the interstate. Breakfast was the typical hotel hot line buffet. Online reservations very easy. Quick check-in.
As a former local, I am familiar with all the local hotels. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express, but waited to long to book this time (and prices were $150 a night even with military discount). So the next best choice was Best Western. After seeing the updated rooms (approximately 5 yrs ago) we decided to try it. After reading previous review we requested to stay on the back side of the hotel to avoid the traffic noise. Our room was clean and cold when we arrived. We had a family of 4 staying in one room. Everything was clean and the second day the maid even left extra towels without being ask. Breakfast was good...eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, 3 different cereals, waffles, fresh fruit, apple and orange juice, along with coffee and pastries. Everything was very good. The only complaint was breakfast was removed promptly at 10am each day. Would have been nice to be able to sleep in a little bit on the weekends and still get a hot breakfast. I would highly recommend this Best Western.
Good in between spot going or coming to Asheville from Tennessee. Have stayed 4 times now. You exit off 40 and follow the french broad river into Asheville. Nice stop along the way. Good beds and good stop over. We stay every time we come to or leave NC
clean and conveniently located near highway - free breakfast - nice pool - a little loud in the parking lot with the guests that were there during our stay (unrelated to hotel itself but annoying nonetheless)
We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Clean room, quality bedding, friendly staff, very nice pool which our kids enjoyed. Breakfast left something to be desired for us but others may think it's ok. It wasn't bad enough to give a lower rating. Besides there are several places within walking distance for food. We would stay here again. Close enough to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to visit and not stay in the rat race there.
We stayed at this hotel on a passthrough from South Carolina to Indiana. We were placed in a room near the ice maker which proved to be super loud beginning at 7am when people began filling up large coolers with ice. The noise from the highway was loud all night, including sirens, trucks and motorcycles, and people setting their car alarms right outside our door. You should know that this is a hotel where each room has an exterior entrance. Our bathroom had a distinct dirty urine smell. It was not pleasant and I had trouble falling asleep. I do not recommend this hotel and wish I had paid a little more and had gone with the Holiday Inn across the street since I was up 5-7 times overnight.
You seriously won't find a better stay for the price. Excellent views, excellent staff, room was great and clean. Bathroom is a little tight, but that could be considered my only complaint. Next vacation I will be seeking out best western.
Stayed here on my way to Cincinnati . Just picked it out at the exit. Got the Aaa rate and basically saved the taxes. Very clean room and quiet . One of the better hotel breakfast that I run into. Free wi if easy on/ off to freeway and gas right across the street. Off Cosby Highway. All in all worth the couple extra dollars for a very comfortable bed and quiet room
This hotel is very clean and the staff is very accommodating. We stay here when we visit Dollywood in order to get out of the hustle bustle of Pigeon Forge. I recommend this motel to the travelling public.
We stay here a few times a year when we take our boat to Douglas Lake... The hotel is clean and everything has always functioned properly. Plenty of good parking for trailers, etc... Breakfast is better than average in my opinion with plenty of seating, etc.
This place is a hell hole!! The rooms r not newly decorated the bathroom is so small u cant even get dressed in it!! The carpet is dirty looking !! Don't waste ur money here!! The beds didn't have a bedspread on them !! Just sheets and some half thing on the bottom!!
Well satisfied with our stay! The hotel was clean and the rooms recently re-decorating. We definitely highly recommend this hotel for stay and value. Both my wife and I were extremely satisfied! Will stay again if ever in the area
This is one of our favorites. We use it every chance that we get. Great Motel, Pet friendly, beautiful view and amenities. Breakfast is spectacular. The pool and mountain view are great. Staff is helpful and right next to other restaurants and such.
We've been staying at this hotel for years. The location is roughly midway between Wake Forest NC and Memphis TN. Breaks up the drive perfectly. Have seen many changes over the years and always seem to be for the better. Clean updated rooms. My only complaint was that the well lit parking lot was difficult to keep from shining into our room.
My husband and I stayed at this Best Western for one night based on previous good experiences with Best Western Hotels. It advertised remodeled rooms and hot breakfast. The room had been updated, yet the older core of the room was evident. The carpet was worn and fraying. The walls were paper thin and we could hear the people on the opposite side talking. The plumbing needed attention since the tub did not drain. The outside door handle was loose yet it would lock from inside. We brought these issues to the attention of the desk clerk who said she would have maintenance address these issues. The "hot" breakfast was nothing special, just the same breakfast fare you would get at any restaurant. Nothing at this location was terrible, yet nothing was exceptional either.
This was very close to the highway, so very little extra travel time to our stay. I liked that is was just outside the mountains, so we stopped overnight & did not have to drive through the mountains at night. Very fast check-in & check-out. Nice breakfast, very well stocked. I would choose this again on our travels south.
When you see a monster truck with no muffler pulling into the parking space next to yours at 11:00 at night and two guys with a 12-pack of Bud Light walking into a room room below yours, that's not a good sign. I didn't pay $100/night to put up with this. Luckily, I didn't hear anything from them that night, but just the worry and perception that they may get loud and that this hotel attracts crazies and partiers kept me on edge. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep. At $100+, I felt this hotel was poor value considering that the noise potential from loud, .obnoxious, and inconsiderate guests will always be there, especially on weekends. (When you pay that much, it usually keeps the riffraff out, but maybe it was just a case of four crazies each paying $25/night to share a room) I expect more from a hotel at the level of a Best Western. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the hotel for you. The potential to have bad neighbors is just too great.
Trip from TX to MA. Stayed 2nd night of trip here. Chose his location based on online reviews, location and price. Very good value. It had been recently redone. Room was very small, but clean and comfortable. We would stay here again
I thought it was a little expensive. I'm not used to a BW being that expensive. Especially, since it was a business trip. Typically, I can pay less that 100.00 which includes taxes/fees. 114.00 was a little much! Especially since,
We have stayed at this hotel twice this year. Nice, mid-range hotel, clean with easy access to interstate, restaurants and gas stations. We were very satisfied. Definitely worth the cost charged. We will stay here again if we are in the area and need lodging.
We spent our last two days of vacation at this motel and it was wonderful. The place is clean, great beds, fluffy pillows, an elevator for those who want to use it and a great breakfast. The people who was at the desk are very helpful and nice.
Convenient to the highway - easy on and off. Easy check in and check out. Nice people at the front desk. Room was spotless. Refrigerator, microwave, free wi-fi, nice t.v. Free breakfast buffet is the typical but it was good and the food was refilled. Would recommend this as a stop over point if you're driving.
We had to drive from Augusta, GA to Nashville, TN for a graduation ceremony at Belmont University and decided to go via Newport to avoid the terrible Atlanta and Chattanooga traffic. Both cities are at least 25 years behind on their Interstate construction. This Best Western is a perfect place to stop. It is clean as wax. It is convenient to restaurants and gas, and it's quiet. The views are unbelievable. We stayed here both ways.
We had such a great visit!! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was great, super clean and smelled good (a huge bonus for me)! The breakfast, while plentiful, was not that great. Truly our only disappointment. The sweet lady staffing the breakfast however was amazing! Will definitely be back!
The room was very comfortable had the king and everything was very good. They gave me extra towels at check in because i have had problems with enough towels at other hotel's I relay did not need them because the room was well stocked. We got in a little late and the lady at night did not know how to use my Best Western travel card but the lady on days took care of it. The breakfast bar was very good. I will be trying the pool out next stay. See you guys again soon.
This Best Western was a nice place to stay. It was a little further out from Pigeon Forge, but nice drive to where we wanted to go. We were a family of 4, but they only left us 3 towels, so we had to get another one from the front desk. The outside pool was nice. No towels out there, so you have to ask at the front desk for those. The It has pictures of a hot tub, but there was no water in it. The breakfast was really good!!
I really enjoyed my stay! Arrived late (10:30pm) though I called ahead that I would be late I was assured that it would not be a problem. When I arrived the personnel were friendly and accommodating to insure that I had ample parking for my truck and trailer within view of my room. The room was clean and quite even though they are located so close to the interstate! The breakfast was excellent, I usually end up with a cup of coffee and a donut, but this was a very good breakfast and I wasn't looking for anything else!
This is a very great Hotel I stay there almost every time I get to Newport Tennessee everything was okay it's just time to set for the heat in the room I could not get it adjusted right other than that hotels great to bed was comfortable and a breakfast bar in the morning was great the service at the bar was great the hotel staff was great if you need a place to stay when you get the Newport Tennessee stop in at Best Western
check in was great, front desk staff were very , very NICE, FRIENDLY & HELPFUL !!!!! rooms were ok, we ate at the bar because we didn't want to drive anywhere. food was good. breakfast was ok, for the price of the room & what we got it was good ........
Very clean with nice updates Fridge in the room worked well We stopped for an overnight stay and were not too impressed the outside appearance but were please with the cleanliness and modern room. Would definitely stay again. Summer pool only
Check in went smoothly. Outside entrances and they have an elevator. Parking was excellent! If you drive truck or are in a larger vehicle, there's room! The room was a good size with 2 beds. Beds were comfy with good bedding. No stains or holes. Good pillows. Room was clean. Bathroom was a decent size. Good towels with no stains or holes. Fridge and microwave worked. WiFi was good. We were able to check email, stream movies and music. Food within walking distance. We didn't have housekeeping by choice, but they left us a bag of fresh towels, soap, cups and etc. on our door! TV was a good size for the room and had a nice selection of channels. We did experience a live "Cops" episode outside our door one night....can't fault the hotel, but it was a little unnerving. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location!
We have stayed at this Best Western each year upon our return home from a Florida vacation. We have liked the facility each time we have stayed there so we try to make it to this hotel each time for our overnight stay.
We really love this Best Western. It is clean, great room with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was wonderful and we did not have one problem the 2 nights we was there. The people that work there treat everyone like they are family, very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
hotel was very very dirty no tv no phone matress had blood stains on it and killed a cockroach in room seedy!!!!!!!! checked out and put in for full refund on credit card would not recemond this hotel!!!!!!!!!
Stayed here during a coast to coast bicycle tour. Very friendly staff. Restaurant on the property that has free delivery to your room. A bit noisy at times. Room appointments were a bit dated but the price was in keeping with that.
The quality of this BW location is very good, rooms are all updated and modern, staff is excellent as is free breakfast. The value is tough to beat as price point is extremely competitive. We use this location every year as we travel to SC and every year it gets better. This is our 8th year staying here.
The value at this motel is always good. From the friendly and helpful staff, when making reservations, check in, maid service, right through to check out. One of my favorite things, is starting out my day with a good hot breakfast.
Hotel had an outside entrance and hidden blankets on the bed. I am not sure why they had the setup that they did with the way the bed was made. They had a fitted sheet, flat sheet, blanket, then another flat sheet. Looked tacky, and had to ask for extra blankets. Clerk staff was not friendly, not a great impression at all.
I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western in Newport, Tennessee. All the staff I interacted with were professional and helpful. Hopefully they are compensated well with a wage of at least $15.00 per hour.
This Best Western was very good, but should of had extra Kleenex and shampoo in the room. Kleenex box had three tissues in it. No shampoo at all in room. Breakfast was good and had a good variety. Quite location. Would recommend.
People working at the hotel steals your stuff. They don't have common sense and responsibility. This is a place where we should feel safe when we sleep and should have people be responsible enough to take care of the customers valuable and that didn't happen instead of you forgot something it's gone and taken from the room.
Great service and clean rooms.Very friendly at front desk.Great hot breakfast and coffee to go. Stay 2 nights and was a good place to get some rest after a long day/ Stayed on the back side of the building.
The motel is nice. Staff that we met were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast they served was one of the best we have ever had at a Best Western. The eggs, sausage, biscuits were real not microwaved.
Loved the girls working at the front desk. Room was clean, but musty due to lack of exhaust fan, or the ability to open the windows. It was very convenient with bar and pizza joint open later than the local venues. The bed and pillows were comfortable, but an uncomfortable couch.
I often stop here on my return trip from visiting family in Nashville, TN. it is exactly half-way and makes the trip easier. The service is always pleasant and the room reliable though the bed was a little soft this time. The property has a restaurant which I have never used because it is also next door to a Ruby Tuesday - nice to have convenient options after a long drive.
We spent the night on our way to Myrtle Beach. The hotel was easy off easy on to the interstate. The rooms were very clean with modern decor. The breakfast was a full breakfast and was pretty good. Would definitely stay here again!
We had to look around a bit to find a hotel that had a room available as it was a Saturday and that part of the country has a lot visitors on the weekends. Fortunately this hotel had a room at a reasonable price and we checked in around 4:30 PM. By 7:00 PM the parking lot was full and I doubt there were any more avialable rooms. The office/restaurant/bar are separate from the hotel itself yet it is very convenient. The rooms were nice and not outdated or unkept. Breakfast was OK but typical of most Best Western hotels.
Staff should be better trained in assisting handicapped persons. Upon arrival desk staff stood and watched as I struggled in enter with my wheelchair bound spouse. They appeared more interested in conversing among themselves rather than assisting or offering assistance to a guest.
We spent 1 night here & were pleased with the value. Room was clean & had been remodeled. Microwave & fridge. Breakfast was good...eggs, fruit, sausage, biscuits, pastries....real oatmeal would have been a huge plus.
Nice place to stay especially for $70.00. Pretty good bar and a really good breakfast. Actual sausage and fresh fruit. A really comfortable bed and a quiet atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful. A bargain for 70 bucks.
When this Best western was first remodeled it always was very clean. Now the people they have cleaning do not care and the morning/day front desk manager had a defensive attitude when I showed her the pictures I posted on this site. She then tried to charge the friends credit card for smoking in a non smoking room because of my complaint. Of course it never was charged because legal action would have been our next step. The carpet floors need shampooing. Dusting is a must, disinfectant on all surfaces including the refrigerator. Bathroom tubs need to be bleach scrubbed out or refinished, mold spores are in the bathrooms on the ceiling. The bathroom doors need to be cleaned front and back down to the bottom. Very disappointed with that stay. I had a to put towels on the floor to walk on and in the tub to take a shower. I couldn't get another room by the time we got back to the hotel for the night. My bed linen was turned on the opposite side which makes me think none of the linen was washed. I'm glad I bring my own linen and blankets as well as Lysol.
Nice little hotel with a view of the mountains. There is also a pool which would be nice in the summer. There is a restaurant on site that has good food. Pizzas, subs, and chicken wings are some of the choices. There is a tavern that serves food from the restaurant. The free breakfast is very good too.
Price 99.00 for Sat. Night. Nice bed. Clean room, shower. Has cable. Wifi, refrig. Microwave. Coffee pot. Very nice place for just night over. Has Ruby Tuesday in front, also many other eating places close by. It has full breakfast with eggs, bacon sausage, etc.. Have not had it yet but hope is is nice. Room down stair and very quiet. Temp control by self so very cozy. As I said bed and bedding very fresh and comfortable
Very elegant and emaculate room. I was pleasantly surprised with the room considering we payed so little. The bed was very comfortable for our bad backs. The new large HD TV was perfect to watch the Saturday football game. The reason we chose this location is its only 30 miles to a natural hot springs just over the North Carolina border. I would gladly stay here again.
Nice room, helpful amiable staff, great restaurant and a good value. The view of the smoky mountains was a real plus and being pet friendly was great. Very easy on/off I-40 and lots of gas stations and restaurants close by in case you don't like the pizza or Italian dishes served in their restaurant.
This hotel was a delight in every respect. The price was surprisingly low, the staff made us feel like celebrities, and the renovations in the rooms were well thought out and pleasing. We'll plan on staying there the next time we head south.
I really enjoyed the time I spent at this hotel. I read good reviews. The pet friendly rooms are not the cleanest I have seen but great area in back for my dogs to run and I felt very safe and even took them off leash since it is fenced and sits above the Interstate. I travel with my dogs weekly for work and I look for safe pet friendly places. This is a great one. The breakfast I had been told was great, in my opinion it was good and better than most. I stayed here on and off for 3 weeks. great home away from home
We were initially happy to even FIND a hotel close to Pigeon Forge in October, but upon arrival, I pulled the covers back and found several black hairs on the sheet, EW! Then when I went to the restroom there were curly and straight black hairs on the shower side and floor. I guess they don't have to clean as well if they are sold out? EW! EW! EW! Plus, if there WERE elevators...I didn't see any and I strained my back lugging my carry-on up the concrete stairs. Internet was good though. Pizza place attached to the lobby with overpriced pizza which took forever and there were no clean booths.
this is the best hotel in the entire region including Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge area . a must stay place. nice restaurant and free breakfast clean rooms also wonderful staff also we have been staying here for over 7 years and its just plain out and out awesome
We needed a clean comfortable hotel with a nearby restaurant after a long day on the road from Myrtle Beach. This hotel met all of our needs. Check in went smoothly and the room was very comfortable and clean. No coffee machine on the room. Restaurants are nearby. Plenty of parking. Easy access to the interstate. Good place to spend the night.
We had stayed at this location a few years ago - it's a convenient location on our way to South Carolina. This time, the first thing I did was check the mattress for signs of bedbugs, and found evidence (but no bugs). Since our payment was non-refundable, we asked for another room, and the second one had a brand-new mattress and no signs of bedbugs. Our room was on the front side of the hotel - we circled the hotel as we exited, and noticed that the back side of the hotel was full of semi trucks and other big trucks. The hotel staff had mentioned that the front of the hotel is "much more quiet" than the back. Breakfast was included and was good.
Stopped in on our way home, great room, comfortable beds, everything was clean, towels, coffee maker, microwave all there. Bathroom was clean. The outside of the hotel was also nice and clean. They have an outdoor pool but we did not use. Great contential breakfast, waffles, eggs and sausage, biscuits and gravy, hot coffee.
Older hotel that is in nice shape. Slept well and felt safe. No problems with the room or the staff. Came down to ride many of the roads in the area and the National Park. Many great motorcycle roads in the area.
We recently stayed at this motel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms were clean and smelled good, linens were fresh, and the service was outstanding! The breakfast bar was very good and included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy as well as all types of bagels, muffins, cereals and fresh fruit! We will definitely stay here any time we are in the area!
Stayed here last year and had a smoking room since that was all they had left. Stunk. Decided to give it another try. Rooms are set up well, but not clean. Carpet was filthy. Bottom of my feet were black from dirt. Dirt under AC unit. Baseboards and corners hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Water damage on ceiling in bathroom. Mold on shower curtain. Breakfast last year was quite good. Not this year. Room prices were jacked up because of a home game. Won't stay here again no matter how tired.
Went to check in. Was told the room they reserved for us had wet carpet. They put us in another room....guess what wet carpet. Smells bad. But that's not the worst of it. They have a truck parking right outside your door. 18 wheelers idling all night. This hotel is a dump and I hope to spare you the pain that my wife and I went through here.
This property has recently been updated. The room and nice and comfortable. The location was near the interstate but we didn't hear any of the interstate noise. The price was right around $80. Check in and out was easy.
Staying at this Best Western was a great experience. Friendly check-in staff, very clean, comfortable room, the "greatest" hot breakfast ever, and very reasonable rates - what else could a person ask for. You will be glad you stopped here.
We were just traveling through and stayed at this hotel. For the money it provided updated clean rooms with all the expected amenities. But it also provided the best Breakfast we've EVER seen at a hotel chain! The breakfast area was actually a full functioning cafeteria. The breakfast bar was like 40 feet long with every breakfast you could think of! Don't hesitate to stop here and refuel for a night and get a good start to your next driving day!
When I arrived at this hotel and saw the location and condition I didn't feel comfortable staying there alone. I am a female and was traveling alone and it was late at night. I cancelled this reservation 15 MINUTES after making it, because I felt unsafe, and the hotel refuses to refund my money.
Very clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was delicious and they had a good variety of food. Room was decent and recently remodeled. Staff was friendly and location was perfect to get a bite to eat at many restaurants
Although the rooms are located separately from the office/restaurant areas, it's still a nice comfortable hotel. I'd recommend this hotel to other people staying in the Newport, TN area. This was the second time that my wife and I have stayed in this hotel when in Newport.
This Best Western is an excellent location for many areas of the Smokey Mountain National park, Gatliburg, Pigeon Forge, etc. The facility has been there for a while but the interior rooms are all updated and extremely nice. We stopped for 2 nights while on a motorcycle trip to the area.....great roads too.
Main objection was the dirty bathroom with greasy footprints in bathtub, bathroom floor was filthy, the floor made my feet black and nasty when I walked into the bathroom. The front desk seemed indifferent to the problem when notified.
This motel exceeded expectation because it was only $70/night. Rooms recently remodeled and beds were comfortable. Eric at the front desk was very helpful at check in. Breakfast was fantastic...lots of tasty choices!
This was a stop-off on a very long drive home. I was pleased with our room, it was clean, well appointed and quiet. The breakfast offered was excellent and the breakfast room was very large and well-stocked.
The room was clean and comfortable. Room was facing a busy road and can be subject to traffic noise. Hotel layout is inconvenient. Lobby and breakfast area in a separate building down a steep hill from rooms.
B W Newport is a great location.u r near gatlinburg and pigeon forge.great views of the mtn. Clean spacious rooms friendly hotel staff.free hot breakfast. Laundry room.also ur within walking distance of ruby Tuesday s and cracker barrel. I will be back.
We have stayed here several times on our trips between NC & MO. Is a good stopping point before going into the mountains. The rooms are very nice and reasonably priced. Free breakfast goes beyond run of the mill pastries and the view is beautiful. We will always come back when we take this trip again.
I called late one evening in search of a room for a family member unexpectedly in need of lodging. My first call, to the front desk of neighboring competitor, was rudely handled. This was my second call. The desk employee (Eric maybe?) listened and not only kindly handled my situation but offered options I had not considered. All worked well from there...room was competitively priced, clean and comfortable. This will be my first call next time in the the area.
Just stayed one night. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thought the room could of been a little on the cleaner side, especially the bathroom. Air conditioning was a little noisy. There were only three towels for four guests and no trash bags in the trash cans. Price was within reason. But overall not a bad stay. Have had worse experience.
Great value for the money. The rooms were newly furnished. The staff was very friendly. I can't say enough good about the breakfast, it was amazing!! I'd say stop here!! We found this gem by accident but will stay again on our way through the area.
I didn't realized when booking that the access to the rooms are directly to the outdoors. I prefer an entrance into a hallway. However, the pool area was nice and breakfast was good. The room was a bit cramped, but we had an overall good experience. The decor is modern and the room was clean. Easy access to the interstate.
Overall was a good stay. Vending area in hall between building was dirty, rest of the place was good though. Don't recomend getting the Pizza from the place on the premises, as it is very greasy. Breakfast was about average for a place like this.
I needed a place to stay near Hartford, TN. I compared other hotel sites in the area and felt that the Best Western was the best option around. I have stayed in several BWs in the last few years around the country,I find that they are a good value , in general. They have what your need, are clean and provide friendly, professional service. The Newport location held up to these standards. It was also nice to have the lounge and restaurant right there on site.
It was totally new renovated hotel with swimming pool and hot tub. Kids loves swim on hot days. Breakfast also having good number of items to start your day. It has all amenities like mini refrigerator, microwave, ices, coffee, etc... We stayed 2 nights here, and enjoyed well. All major fast food are nearby. Walmart is at walking distance. Loved it... Next time, this is the only hotel on my list if going that way :)
Had a very pleasant experience at Best Western. We had been on the road for 11 hours and needed to rest. Checked into the hotel and walked to the Cracker Barrel for dinner. The beds were comfortable and the shower had nice water pressure. The only thing I missed was a coffee maker.
We had to get off the interstate early on a trip to Asheville do to intense rain and wind. Our other choice hotels in the area were not pet friendly. So we choose this Best Western. We were a bit skeptical being as inexpensive as it was, but were more than pleasantly surprised. I am not sure why other reviewers are so harsh. For being a very inexpensive option the rooms were perfectly clean and remodeled. Beds were comfortable. Desk staff was quick and very accommodating. Great free hot breakfast. Clean and nice bathroom. Great dinner choices within walking distance. Best Western has earned a spot in our playbook...meaning we will add them as a favorite option... after this great experience!
They were supposed to be newly remodeled rooms. If they did I couldn't really tell. The air conditioner fell out of the wall literally. barely cooled and was super loud and dirty. Entry door would not completely close. You could see daylight. My point is if you advertise newly remodeled rooms, it should be a lot better than what we experienced. Desk clerk was super nice. Breakfast was pretty good.
I was exhausted, arrived at 2 am not expecting much. A tad different from most Best Westerns I had experienced, especially in the layout. However, the room was quite nice and I was pleasantly surprised. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. All of that for 80$, I will certainly take it. I don't recommend as a permanent stay however if you are merely passing through, can't think of a better place to hole up. So if that's you, go for it.
We needed a place to stop on the way to SC. It had really good reviews but was one of the higher prices at $140 plus all the tax. I was surprised at how small and cramped the room was. It was like a tiny efficiency room with a vanity, sink, & mini-fridge all on one end next to a tiny bathroom. We had a king size bed you could just walk around. The pillows were not king size and there were 4 tiny squishy ones. No room in there for even a chair. There was no hairdryer and the towels were cheap and tiny. It was clean but definitely older and not what I would call immaculate. Definitely not what I expect for that price. Our room was non-smoking and that was nice. The desk girl Jessica was very nice and efficient.
The rooms are clean with some signs of ageing but good for the price. Lots of parking, newer tv's and beds and a very good location especially for the traveler that would rather not get back into a car at the end of the day. They have their own restaurant and bar and there is s new Ruby Tuesday's right in the parking lot. The included breakfast was very good, better than many others I would go again
Our stay was most disappointing. Problems with getting door lock to work, A/C not working correctly and had an odor. Did not report until leaving because there was only one employee available and she was very busy. She was great and apologized as we left.
The hotel was roomy and very clean. Very nice for the price. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave along with a single serve coffee pot. The pool area was clean and well kept. Checking in was quick and easy. The front desk worker was very friendly and informative.
This Best Western is one of the best hotels that we have stayed in over the past several years. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding. Also all of the staff were friendly and professional. This was the first night of a 5 night trip where we stayed in 5 different Best Western Inns. The Newport BW was By Far the best of all the Best Western Inns that we used during this trip. I recommend it highly.
Driving late at night, we checked the Internet for affordable hotels along I-40 before getting into the mountains. This Best Western looked like a good deal and the Internet prices were good. However, the price advertised on billboards coming into the city were $10 lower than those listed online. We checked in without a reservation, and sure enough they gave us the lower billboard price. So, you may save a bit by not booking this hotel online. The room was obviously remodeled recently, and while the guests outside weren't always quiet, it was a good hotel for the price.
Inside has been updated. When we arrived to the hotel I ask for the room rate she stated the rate. I told her that we saw the sign on the freeway all rooms 89.95 she stated it says in small letters Sunday-Thursday. So the room was 139. Because it was a Friday night. The outside of the hotel looks terrible. Nasty dirty looks as though smoking is allowed on the sidewalks and balconies so there were ashes and butts everywhere. When we got into the room beyond our surprise the room was updated nicely. If we weren't so tired from the ride we would have gone further looking for another hotel for miss representation on pricing and the nastiness of the exterior of the hotel. This was our first bad experience at a Best Western this week.
To start the breakfast was amazing and free. The rooms were really nice and comfortable, it felt like home away from home. The staff was very friendly. Check out time was 12 instead of 11 like most places. Would highly recommend!
Breakfast was good, pool was clean, rooms clean. Overall appearance was grungy. Staff was not very helpful, appearances could have been better. I did not use the Restaurant but others in my party did & were very impressed with the food & the value you received. There was a lounge/bar but crowded and not suitable to just lounge, seemed more dressy. Plus there was no where for kids to enjoy the fire pit.
Old style Motel. Ads showcased laundry service but detergent vending machine jammed and would not dispense. Front desk attendant was quick to reimburse my $1.00 but I had no detergent to do clothes. After 10 hours of driving, not what I wanted to encounter. I ended up using shampoo as detergent.
Arrived for check in on time. Signed in and sent to room. The room was not ready and still had items from prior occupants. Notified cleaning crew who was busy. They did agree to start immediately on our room. Left, had dinner and returned to find room was ready. However, there was water on the floor behind the toilet and in room trash containers did not have liners. At check out, we were told liners were no longer provided. This was not a typical visit at this facility.
Very nice and comfortable . Pool is great one of the few outdoor deep 9ft pools. Family fun. Stopped here while traveling.convenient to several restaurants. Front desk very helpful. Rooms clean and quiet.
Convenient off of I40. Cracker Barrel and Ruby Tuesday next door. Older hotel, but room was nice, breakfast was good. Not bad price for a Saturday night. Check inn was fast, and host was very pleasant and helpful.
We stayed for two nights and everything was great. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. We had a nice view of the mountains from our room. The breakfast was really good. The biscuits were thick and fluffy, the peppered eggs were yummy. They had a wide variety of breakfast foods, which included sausage, waffles, cereal, fruit, etc. Jessica checked us in and she was very friendly, helpful and informative. Check out time is noon, which was great.
The rooms have recently been renovated and the decor is up to date. The pillows were comfortable and there was amble room in the sink and bathroom area. I loved having a fridge, but my short friend had a rough time trying to reach the coffee maker hidden in an upper cabinet. My only complaint was that the shower wasn't totally clean. There was quite the layer of dust on the top edge. Also, there was some mold growing on the ceiling since there is no vent fan system in place.
I felt this place was more upscale for the price. But it was a litle away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, if those are the places you are visiting. But definitely close to the rafting in the smokies.
Last minute reservation Memorial Day weekend. Yeah, I know. I was lucky. Room was clean and was ready for us. Personnel at front desk were very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping kept our room clean and tidy. Breakfast was provided, though was nothing it was adequate and well stocked.
This is the best place to stay in Newport. It's clean, comfortable and you can get a room with a whirlpool bath for less than $100. That's priceless if you're an old man with a bad back who's been driving on I-40 all day. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They have a full free breakfast buffet that's very good and a great bar and bartenders.
Comfortably firm mattresses and nice bedding. Everything works as it should. There is a desk. The flat-screen TV has a good picture and can be used with your DVD player. The microwave and fridge are on a spacious counter that includes the bathroom sink and mirror. The shower has plenty of space for you to place your things conveniently. Decent water-pressure. The breakfast here is better than most. Convenient to restaurants, I-40 and Cosby Highway.
Driving late from JAX to Detroit for a funeral. Ashville too expensive. Kept driving to find a reasonable rate hotel with good ratings on TA and Trivago. This one fit the bill. We had a room in the back that was very quiet. We didn't even hear the big rigs start their engines and leave! There were a few in the back parking lot. Breakfast is at a pizza restaurant adjoining the lobby. We arrived at midnight, so we didn't visit the adjoining bar. Check in and out was very easy and quick. We did not have reservations, just stopped in.
This is nothing fancy, but clean!! If you are in this area check it out. It was 69.95 per night. Hard to beat that, we were in room 110. King bed, nonsmoking and a free breakfast! Everyone was so friendly and helpful!!
Although it advertises new rooms and redone rooms on hotels.com could not tell what they did to redo the rooms. The breakfast offering though was excellent. Friends room had curtain hooks missing and tub did not drain well
The room was small for a king bed. Bathroom set up awkward, vanity in full view if door or curtains open, door to bath made for tight quarters. We stayed two nights, bought a cheap pillow at nearby Walmart for second night instead of trying to sleep on the hard lumpy ones. Breakfast bar in adjoining restaurant was very good, plenty of room, good variety. Staff was very nice. Facility is right off the highway, but the room was quiet and the price was right.
We stopped in without a reservation, and the young woman at the desk was so sweet and helpful. She even upgraded us to a room with the jacuzzi tub after I told her about the bad experience we had at another hotel the night before. The room was huge, and everything looked new. it had a microwave and fridge, and the bed was very comfortable. I'm not sure why it's rated as a two and a half star hotel, because it was nicer than some three stars I've stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, and there was absolutely nothing i would complain about. Breakfast the next morning was very good, they did a great job of keeping everything stocked, and had lots of choices. There was a different person working when we checked out, and she was just as nice as the first one.
very clean- courteous staff- excellent breakfast- room was spacious very well decorated- bed was very comfortable- plenty of places to eat within walking distance of hotel- would highly recommend this hotel
staff was helpful room was decent a little dated a few small stains here and there but OK. The pillows were the small square cut foam kind I find horrible and I slept little because of a semi constant rumble which i attributed to trucks and more noise than I would like with trucks motorcycles and police cars from the fairly near hiway. Stay in a room away from the hiway if you can. Breakfast was ok but eggs were very greasy, standard free breakfast fare
If you are traveling with a dog this Best Western is a very nice place to stay. They do have a limited number of rooms reserved for pet rooms so make sure you reserve your room ahead of time if you can. It was very clean and odor free. We have stayed here before when we didn't have our dog with us, it's just a nice clean place to stay!
Recent remodel for clean, comfortable stay on 2nd floor accessible by elevator, king size on back side next to big rig parking. Only low rumble of rigs parking, similar to very distant, rolling thunder, so did not interfere with sleep. Excellent bed, pillows, furniture arrangement, large room, shower/tub has many shelves for bathing items, multiple breakfast choices including scrambled eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, waffles, cereal, yogurt, toppings, fruit, oatmeal, toast, bagels....... LOTS of seating in breakfast area, pleasant lobby and exterior. Best bang for your buck!!!
One of the better overnight stays in the area. Rooms are recently remodeled with quality furnishing, breakfast is excellent and also includes easy fast internet service. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful, well lit and safe. Location to restaurants is also very good. Right off the highway makes this very convenient as well.
Updated rooms were a welcome sight, little too much noise in the parking lot because of lots of construction guys staying at the hotel and talking to wee hours. Try to get room with even number, lot number rooms are located next to large truck parking area
This is your typical 1970's motel - parking outside of your door and small compact rooms. The difference is that the rooms, including the bathrooms, have been recently renovated offering a comfortable night's stay. Navigating the space can be a challenge with two suitcases and a king bed. Breakfast, which was included, at the pizza restaurant on premise, was warm and fresh.
Recently renovated, tip top condition. Clean and comfortable. Easy access and good location. Bed was comfortable. Parking easy access. I will stay here again next time I am visiting the area. And I would recommend it to you.
Stopped here on our way from Myrtle Beach to Cincinnati. It's an older motel that appears to have been recently remodeled. Remodel was tastefully done, and beds were pretty comfy. The breakfast spread was pretty good, the usual fare. There is a Ruby Tuesday and a Cracker Barrel within walking distance and a pizzeria off the main lobby. (this is where breakfast is served) Overall, a good place to get a good meal and a good nights rest. And it's one of the few we found that was pet friendly.
No luggage cart so had to haul all our luggage up the stairs. Paid extra for a jacuzzi room. 9 pm this horrendous sound begins, like massive amounts of flowing water in the wall. Pipes banging and water gurgles up through the drain into our jacuzzi. Manager says it is something amiss in the hotel laundary but no maintenance man until morning and she is the only person on duty so she can't leave the desk to check it out. Midnight we switch rooms. Have to lug all our luggage back down the stairs, load up the car, drive to the new room, and haul it all back up the stairs. Second room is super small, carpets are unvacuumed, TV is broken, toilet handle broken so we have to flush the toilet by dumping water into it. To top it off the manager gave us a hard time about getting the extra money refunded for the jacuzzi room. Our friends room had a broken AC, it smelled of smoke (was a non smoking room) and the room was never cleaned so they had to request towels. In the famous words of Betty Davis "What a Dump".
This hotel was a pleasant surprise! After a long day of traveling from South Carolina, we checked into the Best Western off the interstate in Newport. The front desk staff person was friendly, charming and helpful. The rooms appeared to have been remodeled fairly recently and were clean and comfortable although not very spacious. I was impressed by the flat screen television in the room and was amazed at the number of channels available and the sharpness of the picture...one of the best hotel televisions I've experienced! Breakfast was pretty standard hotel fare, nothing out of the ordinary. I recommend this hotel if you're traveling through the Newport area and need a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay.
I stayed there a few years back and it was fine then. They have remodeled and it's great, everything you need comfy beds and all! Nice breakfast in the morning and super nice people at the front desk. Definitely will stay here again, great rate as well!
Because Trip Advisor said this hotel was No 1 we made reservations. When we arrived the exterior looked old, but inside it was totally renovated. The bed was comfortable. It's little things that mean a lot to me like having the remote cleaned&in a little sleeve & having plugs on a strip on top of the desk so I don't have to move furniture looking an outlet. The only negative was that the wash clothes were thin & rough.
Very nice hotel close to Cracker Barrel and McDonalds. Clean and comfortable. Internet connection kind of weak, but worked. Overall, it was a very good stay - our third stay at this particular hotel. Each stay has been very comfortable and accommodating. The staff are really nice. The rooms are large with a nice big flat screen TV. The shower was beyond great!
Stayed here Friday 11th February. I was traveling south from Dayton and needed a convenient place to stop so the following day I would be refreshed ready for The Smokeys. This hotel is just so convenient and reasonably priced. It is about 20 minutes east of Knoxville. The check in lay was extremely friendly and helpful. She looked up my BW Rewards number for me and credited the stay. There is a nightclub on site with food so I went there. It is walkable and thus no worries about a DUI but my room was really quiet so no disturbance. So if I am in the area I will definitely stay here again. Good breakfast too - buffet style. Nice room and comfortable bed too. A great stay. BTW I am happily married - good job too- women galore at the nightclub!!
Little pricey for during week but clean and great breakfast. The rooms are clean and very nice they have a lot to offer. I just fell it was just a little pricey by the time the get done adding tax after tax and do not have it listed what tax was for. Questions where in my mind where it all goes.
clean and convenient, this is right off the freeway. Staff was very considerate...The room was quiet but had a bit of a tricky thermostat.. we arrived late and had guaranteed a late arrival and we also got a room that we requested..
good place to stay good to eat nice and quiet overall excellent easy on off the interstate nice at front desk rooms excellint good truck parking around back send pretty safe around there other place to eat ciose by
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. our hotel room overlooked a quaint little creek below. Atmosphere was magical especially with the snow. Room was very cozy. We especially enjoyed the fireplace in our room. Plan to stay here again for sure.
Have stayed here before. Room was clean. Just spent the night on way south. Breakfast was ok. Need to update waffle cooker. Like to stay in this area to avoid traffic next morning in Knoxville, Tn. Rate was good and right on interstate.
We were traveling through with a truck and trailer and the parking lot was good for the vehicle with plenty of turning space. The rate was good, the room was nice and the breakfast had a good variety. We were pleased with the experience and will plan on coming back when we're through the area.
A Great place to stop during travel for an overnight stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would gladly stay again. Brooklyn Pizza attached to hotel was excellent and very affordable and they deliver at no extra charge.
It's a surprisingly well renovated motel. We stopped for one night to split up our trip from Gatlinburg. There was a lot of variety for breakfast. A good place for a quick stay....especially considering how much it costs to stay in Gatlinburg.
I have stay at the Newport , TN Best Western before and will enjoy staying there again The staff were very friendly and helpful they have great truck parking and plenty of restaurants within walking distance
Wakeup calls never received, room filthy, room items didn't work. Breakfast food was good. Overall experience was well below average. Had to wait to check in while front desk person was on the phone with a friend
We chose this hotel because we had our dog with us. The room was at the far end near some grass, which was nice. The problem was mainly with the bathroom and the bright light outside our room. The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling and the wall paper was peeling. The bright light outside the window made it impossible to sleep. There is a breakfast included, but it didn't look appetizing: I skipped it. Also, the bed was too soft for my bad back, but if you like soft beds, it might be okay for you.
Good clean motel in a small quiet city. There is a restaurant lounge on the premises that is nice. The breakfast bar is served in the pizza parlor and is also very nice. We like the fact that the hotel is clean, quiet and has food on campus, no additional driving is required.
On trip across country I stopped here for the night. I travel with a small dog so am always on look-out for pet friendly places. This motel appears to have been recently upgraded. Comfortable beds, nice linens. Staff also friendly and helpful. Would be a place I would stay again if I was in the area. Right off I-40 and many places to eat on same exit.
Very nice hotel. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Staff very friendly. Stayed here after the exhausting drive through the mountains. It was definitely time to stop driving. Sagebrush Restaurant down the street is a good place to eat as well.
After staying right downtown the previous week, I decided to stay outside of the city to save money on my hotel costs. I was pleasantly surprised to find my room at this Best western to exceed the level of comfort, decor and amenities of my previous hotel. The room was comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast was good also.
We were welcomed very cordially by the guest service lady. She made me feel confident that we made the right choice in Newport. The BEST feature is the comfort of our King Size Bed. The breakfast was appreciated. The only thing I don't care for is the room entrance being an outside door. The voices from other rooms could be heart clearly. Again..great bed which is #1 on my list!
Very good Hotel. Friendly, and Clean!! I will defiantly visit this location again. It was a little farther away from Pigeon Forge but it worked out for the best. Thank you for a great get away!! I recommend this hotel!!
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay. Building is old, with doors opening to the outside, but has been remodeled very nicely. If traveling with a pet it is a very good stop. Nice large grassy area and it was clean. Breakfast was adequate. Most of the usual fare you will find at most hotels with the exception of very limited fruit and no tea bags?? All in all a grey value. $89 including tax for a Saturday night!!
Dirt and dust everywhere, and of all places, the shower. Told them at check out, but not really any response. Beds were nice. Wanted a ground floor room, but got second floor. Stayed here 4 years ago, not much change. Good thing it did not cost me, as stayed on Best Western points.
When traveling between Michigan and the South we always stop at the Newport Hotel every time. Service is excellent and the breakfast buffet tides us over for the morning travel. The location off of highway 40 is very convenient and located just as you get off the exit ramp .The hotel parking lot is lit extremely well and you have a good sense of security as you unpack for the night.
We spent one night while passing through. The lobby and breakfast room are at the bottom of a hill while the refurbished rooms are up the hill. While you can tell the facility is older, the rooms are very nice and clean. There was free Wifi and the bed was very comfortable. I don't know why these square pillows suddenly appeared but I had brought my own. The breakfast was in a restaurant adjacent to the lobby and had the expected offerings. The one unexpected but appreciated item was yogurt w toppings. The price was reasonable.
I stayed here twice. A busy hotel, but very nice. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was just what I needed. Comfortable, clean and did the task. The bar attached to the hotel was good. Again, very friendly staff, good beer and very good food. I really liked it, hence staying twice. I would gladly go back and stay again when in the area.
Very nice rooms!! Modern and comfortable! Rooms are accessible from outside so its easy to take my golden retrievers outside. Room has microwave and refrigerator. There is also an area to walk dogs. I would stay here again!
Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Very fancy breakfast area. Good continental breakfast. Very friendly staff. $89 plus tax for a Friday night. Close to great local restaurant - Lois'. Rained all night. Had a good night!
This place was okay for one night for sleeping. Just average. Room was clean except for trash cans which were filthy. Please note that this is an older motel with updates, and there is no enclosed hallway. Check in and breakfast area were in a separate building downhill from the hotel. This is no big deal unless it is pouring rain or you have difficulty walking. There were some parking spots downhill by the building though. The staff were very friendly. I can't understand the high ratings that were given this place. I have stayed in much nicer.
The staff are very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We liked that there were places to eat close by. We went out in the woods during the day and relaxed in our room in the evening. It is right off of the interstate. The continental breakfast was a great deal! The coffee was so good! We will stay again if we get a chance to. We visited the Great Smoky Mountains, Ijams Nature Center, Douglas Dam, and The Great Smokies Flea Market. We did have to travel less than an hour to get to where we wanted to go, but it was a central location.
This is normally a great hotel. We happened to have a problem this trip as our room was broken into. There's no security and manager failed to respond when we called a left a message about the problem. Love the staff and area. Have stayed here many time without incident. It only takes once to change your mind.
My husband and I stayed here on our vacation. We planned to go to the Great Smoky Mountains, but it was so crowded we made other plans. We visited Ijams Nature Center in Knoxville, the Great Smokies Flea Market, and the Seven Islands State Birding Park. We also visited the Douglas Dam. The hiking trails are beautiful and the picnic areas were a plus! Best Western was a central location. We were within an hour of each place. It was nice to have a choice of places to eat within walking distance after a day out in the woods.
We stayed here during the long weekend when we were visiting the Smokies, since we didn't get accommodation any where close to the Smokies. The hotel was very reasonably priced, located in an area where restaurants, supermarkets are very close. The room was neat and had a mini fridge and microwave as well. It is very close to the highway and is accessible. The beds were decent and the bathrooms are also OK, although they could have been bigger. For the price, it is good value.
I enjoyed my stay - the staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. They were able to switch me from a 2-double-bed room to a 2-queen-bed room easily at check-in. The beds were a little hard for my liking, and the handicap room I reserved did not have a desk. The exercise room only had three pieces of equipment.
Stayed here again for a long weekend trip. Tried to use my points for a night online and completely screwed it up - my fault all the way. I did not discover my error until we arrived at the hotel to find that I had no reservation at all. As I started to panic the lady at the desk, Inez, told me to relax and she'd take care of it. She certainly did too. Thank you Inez, you are wonderful! We had an issue with the room, but the staff jumped on it. We were away most of the day and Inez kept us up to date on the progress of the repairs. Everything was done, no mess in the room, when we returned. Top notch service all around. We will continue to stay here when we are in the area. If you are in the area looking for a place to stay I highly recommend Best Western. Ask for Inez when you call!
Great room for a good price. Very fair. Except. I have made it a habit not to get rooms with outside doors. This one has it. This fact didn't show up on all of the pictures from their web site. The room was nice, large, well lit (sometimes a problem) and clean. If outside doors don't bother you, this is the place.
Stayed here for two nights. Found the quality of the room and breakfast equivalent to Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express, but the cost was much more reasonable than either of those. I would highly recommend this Best Western to family and friends.
Newport Tn is a must see area so close to everything. People are super nice. Rooms are very clean. tons of things to see and do in the area.. Would recommend you to go and check out the area. Nashville is only a short drive away.
On way to South Carolina, stayed one night at this location. Desk staff nice (both check in and out). Older motel layout. Had been refurbished nicely. Room has micri, mini fridge, flat screen tv, nice amenities. Shower head was great! Beds super comfy. Breakfast on sight . Pizzeria on sight (smelled good)! Would stay again.
We were driving home from the Outer Banks and got caught in traffic and a storm so we decided to stop here. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was for the price. The rooms were recently updated. There is a restaurant and a bar at the hotel. It was nice and clean.
We had to make a stop on our way to Savannah, GA. We pulled in around 2:00 AM. The room was very clean, the front desk service was pleasant. The beds were comfortable. There was a fridge in the room .There was a full breakfast with the usual eggs, bacon, waffles, and juice. We would stay there again.
This was my second stay here and things have changed from my first visit. The condition of the room over all was just OK. I was surprised to find the AC/heat controls locked. They had actually installed a lock on the cover for the AC controls. I will have to think twice about staying here again.
Recently remodeled so everything works well. Firm mattress, good shower, good TV, bedding and heat and air. Decent breakfast and pizza is available there later in the day. Convenient to I-81. Desk clerks are pleasant and efficient.
