Sure Hotel by Best Western Nantes Beaujoire

It would be a great hotel if it weren't for the poor, poorly organized breakfast. it is better to take it out tables not cleared, no juice, no bread Room is good, large and comfortable, but breakfast isn't convenient. Giovanni

The hotel is situated a good 15 minute walk from Haluchère-Batignolles on tram line 1 out of the centre of Nantes and is free to use if you buy a Nantes Visite pass. Be aware that during rush hours, this tram does get very busy. You do have to walk down a long dead-end to reach the hotel and past the City Residences Beaujoire which don't appear very nice both inside and out. Customer service in particular from the individual in his mid 20's who was manning the front desk on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening left the most negative impression about this place. He clearly went about his tasks like he didn't want to be there at all. I would have been really happy with the first room I was allocated, which was on the top floor and faced the interior. Except I walked into a room with dirty towels on the floor and a very intense smell of cigarettes. After heading down to the reception, I was more or less treated like an inconvenience for the rest of my stay and then allocated a room overlooking the very busy car park and right by a communal access door which meant of course you constantly heard a slamming door from other less than considerate guests late at night and first thing in the morning. As a Choice Gold card holder you would have expected something better, but then again I wasn't even acknowledged as such. The room itself is okay, about 18m2 in size. Plus points are the comfortable bed and free WiFi which was about 30MB download speed and was able to stream TV on my IPad. For English speakers the only option for you TV wise is to look for a show dubbed into French and then press the language button on the remote to swap into English. Also appreciated the bathtub in the room although it was a tad narrow. The room has plenty of storage but lacks an in room safe. The hotel also supply a cleaning kit to wash up, and you need it because the previous guests in my room had left various glasses and plates dirty. You do need to request this from reception which means terribly inconveniencing the same miserable looking lad on reception so if the hotel management are reading this it may be worth actually putting one of these bags in the room by default. I skipped breakfast which at €12 seemed expensive for what others review as just a cold buffet so went to the local L'Eclerc supermarket to pick up some croissants and pains aux chocolate which cost a few euro each. Also take time to check out the local Flunch restaurant which was really good value. 3 course meals can be had for about €14. Considering the hotels in the centre of Nantes can be double the price here, it's worth travelling out but the customer service from a certain individual on the front desk could be improved.

This large hotel is a short walk away from a large indoor shopping mall. Check In is normally 15.00pm. The rooms are a good size and offer everything required including free WiFi, TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities etc. Near to the reception area is a small bar where you can also get food mainly pizzas. What impressed me the most wasn't the hotel which is nice but the lady receptionist (Russian) who was extremely helpful and friendly knowing our predicament and that we was crew for the Hellfest festival - A big thankyou

Nice Room and breakfast. It looks like a 4 Stars hotel. But It's far from down town, mustly usef for people on business for that reason. Staff is very helpfull and nice. I was positive surprised with the hotel.

I missed my connection and arrived the morning after for my check in. The young man at reception consulted his superiors and then allowed me to access my room which had a kitchenette included. Very spacious and the bed is comfortable. Hôtel a bit out of the way but there's a mall close by.

Used as a stop over as wanted somewhere reasonably priced. The hotel is in very quiet location with plenty of parking. Breakfast is selfservice cold buffet. Bedrooms are clean & tidy with a small kitchen if you need to cook your own meals.
