Best Western Gettysburg

Generous size room, nice king bed, good amenities. The breakfast was very good and has extended hours (6-10 AM). We used the small gym - good cardio equipment in good condition. Nice later checkout (noon) and they let us into the room early (1:30 for a 4:00 check-in time). The indoor pool is as you'd expect of an indoor pool - good for kids to play in and that's about it. Location is right across from the National Cemetery and close to the Park's visitor center while being relatively quiet compared to places in the center of town. Housekeeping is only every other day due to a staff shortage.

I've been to Gettysburg probably 26 times but never stayed here. Now I'll never stay anywhere else. Comfort, service, location-this place has it all. The included breakfast on the 3rd floor overlooked the battlefield and sunrise. We could walk to the brewery, the Heritage Center, Dobbin House and several gift shops. The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable. Can't wait to return next year.

The Best Western Gettysburg is very close to Gettysburg National Monument and our room with 2 queen beds had a view of one of the battlefields. Our beds were fine, the hotel is updated, and the room was clean as was the pool area. The breakfast, which came with the room, is served on the third floor and has many windows overlooking one of the battlefields. This hotel has parking and is walkable to restaurants.

This is one of the best properties I have stayed in during annual road trips between New England and Florida. One staff person said she thought it had been remodeled about 10 years ago, but it looked and felt brand new. I loved the location right across the street from a portion of the Gettysburg battlefield. Our king room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The small indoor pool has plenty of natural light. The third floor breakfast area was clean, well monitored and offered a view of the fields and monuments across the street. Several restaurants are within walking distance. We were there at the beginning of school trip season, and there were two school groups staying at the hotel. While hallway noise from roaming students was noticeable until about 10:30pm, we did not hear anything during their early morning departures.

This is a nice property with a great location near the National Cemetery. The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The property was clean and well kempt, it has 24 hour coffee, a pool, a basic gym, and a breakfast area with great views. I especially liked that I was able to walk to parts of historic Gettysburg, the museum and visitor center, parts of the park, as well as many good restaurants and shops! I recommend taking a bike along as there are great places to cycle to from this location. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

I have been staying at Best Western Gettysburg since it opened. My son was in the college so I was making several trips. Nate Mares and his team go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I usually was alone and I always felt safe staying there.

Stay was great. There was food left in the fridge from the previous guest, a d there were random things left under the tv stand that housekeeping didn't remove. Other than that the stay was great. Breakfast was good and the the kids enjoyed swimming in the pool. Highly recommend

This was a great budget friendly option that had complimentary breakfast and an indoor pool (a must when traveling with the kiddos). It was also right in the middle of all our planned activities and within easy walking distance of attractions and restaurants.

The hotel was leaps and bounds better than expected!. Great location but it was so cold when we were there we did not get to enjoy. We definitely plan on going back when it is warmer and staying for a longer time.

This hotel is fairly new (built 2018, i believe) and has been a wonderful place to stay at everytime I visit Gettysburg. If your looking for peaceful stay while also being close to everything, this is the place for you.

Courteous/friendly/knowledgeable staff, exceptionally clean EVERYWHERE!! Nice amenities (for the price) and great location -- walking distance to taverns/restaurants/shopping and historical sites. Definately recommend staying here!!

We stay at this hotel every year since it opened. The staff is so nice, the hotel is clean and breakfast is always hot and fresh. The location is prime as it is close to many shops, restaurants, museums and activities. There is also and indoor pool this is always clean and well kept. We love coming here as it feels like home!

The staff and owners are very professional but they also make you feel like family. I recommend this hotel if you want to stay at a place that makes you feel like home. This hotel also has easy access to all tourists destinations

My husband and I visited the Best Western Gettysburg for my birthday getaway. Everything that we wanted was here- An extremely friendly and helpful staff, a room on a lower level, a small area in which to work out, an indoor pool, an ultra clean spacious room, an included breakfast, and a hotel that was close to all of the attractions. As this wasn't enough, I received a phone call from one of the front desk personnel (Beverly) after we arrived home, who called to wish me an official Happy Birthday, since she didn't get to see us again before we left. Who does that?? This gives new meaning to feeling special! This is one hotel that will not disappoint!

New, modern, clean & excellent location. The location is within walking distance to many restaurants and stores. So glad that we didn't opt for a place to stay in the historic district which by contrast would be noisy and crowded. Better to stay at the Best Western and do the 5 minute drive to experience the historic district. This hotel offers more amenities at a good value. Additionally, the staff was friendly and very hospital.

I highly recommend Best Western Gettysburg! The hotel staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The hotel is clean, has large rooms and a nice breakfast selection. Can't beat the location, so if you are there to tour Gettysburg College or the historical sites, this is the perfect place!

We're on a road trip and only start searching for accommodation in the afternoon or when we get to a town. We looked online for this one and read reviews (as we always do). So very glad we chose this one. First of all, the location is perfect for anyone that is interested in the history of the Battle of Gettysburg - it basically all around the hotel. Secondly, the lady that checked us in (I wish I'd gotten her name) was awesome! She couldn't do enough for us. We were there for two nights, and every time we came through the foyer she greeted us like she'd known us forever. Pretty sure she was sad to see us Aussies leave. And of course the room was up to par, as was the breakfast (we did get the last table on the second morning though). Would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone.

The property was well maintained with a modern look. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and fresh, minus a bed cover left behind a chair in the corner. I just threw it in a drawer. The bathroom was very clean. Good water pressure. The breakfast consisted of fried eggs that were my least fave, sausage links and patties, English muffins, breads and packaged muffins, waffle maker and pancake machine! Kind of wish they would have had scrambled eggs as another option versus the fried eggs. But other than that, it was all very good and well kept. Best part is the breakfast room is on the 3rd floor so you have beautiful views while you eat. The hotel is directly across from the battlefield and so close to the National Cemetery. You could see the hotel from the spot where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address. We walked to many things and if we had to drive, it was a very short trip. Can't wait to visit again.

The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Our room was in a perfect spot right next to the stairs that led to the pool and the guest laundry. Those were important things for us with small children. The parking lot had spaces large enough to accomodate our big truck. We were able to walk to so many local attractions including the many monuments across the road.

This is a very nice and clean hotel with a friendly staff, spacious rooms, a nice continental breakfast, and unsurpassed location overlooking the Gettysburg battlefield. We stayed three nights while we toured the battlefield.

What a great place. Just opposite the battlefields of Gettysburg. Our welcome could not have been friendlier. Really nice outlay with plush furnishings. Good and plentiful parking. This is about a 15-20 minute walk to the town Center. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. The breakfast was great with plenty of choices. Rooms are large and light with separate bathrooms, and toiletries supplied. There is also a laundry on site.Microwave and coffee maker in room. Safes are also in room. Good Wi-Fi. This place lap has a small pool and small gym but big enough for some exercise. The breakfast room overlooks the battlefield which is good.

Super clean, comfortable, great breakfast, many options, every staff member pleasant and hospitable. Perfect location to see all sights of Gettysburg, and most walkable distance. Easy parking, perfect time to visit to avoid crowds.

Lovely clean room, not worn out or down. Quiet AC, window coverings made the room dark with not a lot of extraneous lights. Walking distance to the cute downtown and very close to the battlefield. I would stay again.

Overall had a good stay. Bed was comfortable, although the couch was ok the arm rest were to high especially for a handicap person trying to get up. This was a handicap room. Due to the staff shortage sign they posted our room was only cleaned once during our 4 day stay. Not a deal breaker. overall nice hotel.

The Best Western Gettysburg was a great hotel for our stay in town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The location was great. Views of the battlefield, close to other attractions, bars, and restaurants. I would stay here again in the future.

Very nice clean hotel. Lots of room amenities. Breakfast was included and it was adequate . Close to everything. There is a brewery restaurant in the next parking lot that was very good a well. The staff was very nice and there was lots of parking.

Very impressed with this hotel. Super clean, great staff, great breakfast, convenient location, and good parking. Glad I stayed here. Only negative i can mention were some noisy neighbors with loud children running, but that's nothing against the hotel, they can't help it if people traveling act like buttholes. Cost was comparable or a little less than other “high end” hotels in the area.

If you want a nicely renovated, super clean, incredibly nice front desk staff and great rooms and location - this is one of the best hotels in Gburg. Located within walking distance to everything. Excellent hotel!!

The hotel's location is perfect for walking to the nearby battlefields and historic buildings. A number of great restaurants are nearby and you're close enough to drop by the hotel to cool off and relax and head back out the door. The pool is also great and the facilities are incredibly clean. On a humid summer August day the air condition rooms are perfect for taking an afternoon break. Hotel staff are awesome and very welcoming.

This hotel is in a perfect location in Gettysburg. It is within walking distance if excellent restaurants, shopping and tours. Truly a hidden gem! An incredible brewery with delicious food is a few hundred feet from the hotel.

This was the second time for a stay at this location. As was my prior experience, this stay was pleasant and comfortable, clean room and a convenient location to restaurants, unique shopping stores, and the historical sites. Have recommended your Best Western to friends and business associates.

First time at Best Western Gettysburg. Experience was excellent! Staff helpful and very friendly. Breakfast had something for everyone, plus loved the time 6am-10am. The hotel was clean and room was very spacious and comfortable. Able to walk to many attractions and restaurants. Parking was easy and free. Would stay here again in the future.

The hotel is located near the battlefield, so access to it is convenient. There are lots of things to do & see within easy walking distance. The breakfast wasn't too bad, but the pancake machine was a bit wonky. Our two kids enjoyed the pool, but my wife & I wished it had a whirlpool/hot tub.

We stopped here to tour Gettysburg Battlefield. This hotel is literally across the street. We enjoyed Tommys Pizza (walking distance from the hotel) and breakfast the next morning was good too. Highly recommend this location with very helpful staff.

We stayed here on an impromptu trip to check out Gettysburg. Location was great and included breakfast was very nice. Rooms were clean and pool was good. Lobby was clean and had some nice gathering spots. We will definitely stay here again .

Everything well except the delay during check-in and a bit crowded breakfast area. Excellent facility and helpful crew.. Good location for visitors not familiar with Gettysburg. My family could stay a little bit longer if only we have more in the budget.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was excellent, they had a nice selection to choose from. We will stay there again the next time we're in Gettysburg. The room was very nicely equipped.

My adult son and I recently stayed in Gettysburg to attend a family funeral. As unfortunate a trip it was, our stay at the Best Western on Steinwehr sure made our trip more enjoyable. The convenient location, the hospitality of the staff, and the cleanliness makes this an extraordinarily place to stay. The breakfast offered is amazing (waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice, muffins, etc.) and a beautiful view of the Battlefield on the third floor. So much thought was put into this location and the maintenance that makes this location so appealing. This is a real gem, don't miss the opportunity to indulge yourself!

I spent a weekend here with my three boys in July, 2023. The hotel was very clean and new; our room was very comfortable; the pool was great for the kids; the pancake machine was a big hit and added to a really good breakfast, and the location is really terrific. It is one of the last buildings in Gettysburg before the battlefield, so you are literally right there. Plenty of options for food within walking distance.

We visited Gettysburg with our daughter and son-in-law for 8 nights to attend the 160th anniversary of the battle of Gettysburg and experience July 4th in our favourite town. Although we go to Gettysburg 2-3 times per year (and have done so for over 40 years), this was our first stay at the Best Western. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean on our arrival and housekeeping did come in to freshen them up after 5 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast room and the view of the battlefield from there is beautiful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at this Best Western again.

We arrived, having placed the reservation thru the Best Western site. I had requested pet friendly and the site indicated same, but learned at the desk NO pets allowed. Luckily the wonderful desk manager set me up at the sister hotel Qsuality Inn across the street. Just as nice. Great service on July 4.

Hotel is just outside of busy traffic of town and still close enough to walk. Look closely for the entraance as it is a narrow one way drive to the side with parking at the back. The pool area was clean, depth of water is 4' and seemed cooler than I expected. Take your room key with you to the 3rd floor breakfast room and enjoy the view.

The location is great. Plenty of shopping, restaurants within walking distance. This hotel was super-clean. Great hot breakfast which was included. Very comfortable mattresses. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family of four stayed here to go skiing at Liberty. Rooms were very comfortable, clean. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Hot breakfast (sausage, eggs, pancakes, waffles) was generous. Exceeded expectations. This hotel is an excellent value.

The Cost is economical & available all over the US. You can check in any time. Breakfast is normal not continental but all items in breakfast are good & healthy. All electronics payments are accepted and low on your budget. at some places if you are with family can book two combined rooms in very low cost.

We stay at the Best Western Gettysburg time and time again. It far exceeds our expectations for cleanliness, modern decor, ammenities and kind and courteous staff. It's an easy walk from the hotel to the center of town with lots to see and do along the way. It is very conveninetly located close to several very good restaurants. We stay here everytime we visit Gettysburg!

Top notch and the AARP discount get's you 10% off. Out of season in December, it was not busy at all. Great time to visit the battlefield which is so close by. Single king room was fabulous. I would highly recommend staying here. Free parking on site and restaurants are close by as well as local emporiums and merchants.

This was a Thanksgiving 3 day stay and it was great. The room is fantastic, well appointed but not extravagant. Staff is friendly and very helpful, amenities are first class. A nice indoor pool and exercise facilities are conveniently located on the first floor. The breakfast is included and it's a nice view of the Gettysburg Battlefield from there. Definitely recommended.

The BW Gettysburg is in a most convenient location. They have a wonderful friendly staff who go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The rooms are clean and tidy. The "Breakfast Room" offers a surprisingly varied choice of items to get your day started right. I have been using this hotel as my "headquarters" while in Gettysburg since it opened. I have never had a single item to complain about.

This time when I stayed, was a very busy time for all the hotels in Gettysburg. I book this place early because I know the rooms go fast. I have been staying at Best Western Gettysburg since it opened. Nate and his staff are the best. They will go above and beyond to help every guest. The breakfast is better than most with a verity of food. Even during the busiest time there is always a staff member to help you. Nate and his team are the best.

Best Western is truly our home away from home. Everything is neat & clean from outside to inside. The bed is ALWAYS comfortable after exploring the battlefield all day or, as in this weekend, enjoying the festivities of Remembrance Day. The location truly does not get any better than this. It is located just on the edge of historic Gettysburg, so it is close to everything you could want to do while in town. We love to walk, so we can park and go anywhere in town fairly quickly. Nate and the staff always take time to speak to you when they see you. The view from the breakfast room is beautiful, the food is fresh and the coffee hot! And while it was a busy weekend, the breakfast was plentiful and you could sleep peacefully without any disturbances. Walt and I look forward to our next visit. Thank you Nate & staff for, once again, making our stay a wonderful experience.

Perfect stay for Remembrance Day. The hotel is walking distance to the cemetery , on the parade route, and near restaurants. The staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful. I travel to Gettysburg 2-3 times a year and this is always my first choice, I only stay somewhere else when the Best Western is booked.

We got a excellent deal through the hotel reservation. Room was clean, breakfast was excellent, tied for third on best locations in Gettysburg! Would definitely stay again! We have stayed at many hotels here and this is our second choice of the numerous hotels in the area. Sleep quality would be better except the room we were in was under the breakfast area and the noise woke us up 1.5 hours before our alarm.

Just home from a great trip to Gettysburg, PA. When I made my reservation at Best Western Gettysburg, I saw a few photos of the hotel and they mentioned how close to Gettysburg they were...the hotel was new, clean and had a great woman at the front desk with lots of suggestions. Best of all Gettysburg Park is right across the street. The room rate was excellent and affordable. Breakfast was great (especially the pancake machine)! There were plenty of local restaurants within walking distance! I really like eating at locally owned places...Dobbin House Tavern and O'Rorke's were perfect.

Kudos and ditto's to everyone on Trip Advisor who recommended this hotel! I can't say enough about this place. It is located in a perfect and very safe area for sightseeing, with so many restaurants within easy walking distance. The good points: Location, Super clean, Heated pool large enough to relax in, Breakfast Buffet that is more than ample, Coffee Machine in lobby. The rooms are larger than most, and 4 of us were very comfortable, not tripping over each other. Lots of parking and one car charging station. Six of us gathered in the lobby one evening for a game of Yahtzee. We didn't have a score pad, and my daughter borrowed a sheet of paper from the woman at the front desk. A few moments later, Kerry (the front desk) brought us Yahtzee score sheets that she had printed for us! Imagine our surprise! This act of kindness exemplifies the very best in customer service. We are already planning our next trip to Gettysburg, and we will definitely stay here again. The wonderful museum next door is worth visiting. Don't hesitate...you will be happy if you stay here. And don't forget to give Kerry a friendly hello!

Only average hotel. The hotel was short of staff which showed as a lack of cleaning. Floors were dirty in lobby and in The room. Windows in The breakfast room were so dirty that you were unable to enjoy The View. Breakfast was pretty poor. The pool was cold. All in all, would not return and would not recommend to Friends or family.

The rooms and staff were nice enough. The location is fantastic. However, if you want a quiet stay and comfortable sleep, this is not he place for you! Before the first night, I advised the staff that I would be arriving after 2:00am. The day before my flight, I once again called and said that I would be arriving after 2:00am. When I arrived, I waited at the locked door for over 45 minutes before a staff member showed up in the lobby to let me in! The subsequent nights of my stay, guests would literally blare music full blast on several cell phones in both the lobby and pool. They drank, played the music, yelled, laughed and generally had a raucous, LOUD time until after midnight every night that I was there. When I complained to management, they said “You are here on soccer weekend, what do you expect?”

Second stay at Best western and another pleasant experience. Room was clean, staff was helpful. Hotel is located in walking distance to the downtown/shop area and battlefield. I will use Best Western again during next Gettysburg visit.

Really like staying here because you can walk to a lot of the shops and restaurants on Steinwehr Ave. This is not our first time staying here and it won't be the last, got to give a shout out to Nathan Mares and his staff for a clean and comfortable stay.

Perfect location to shopping/restaurants and driving distance to the different monuments for the civil war buff in your life! Friendly staff and clean room, Breakfast was great! Bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Room extremely noisy! Pillows horrible! Sheets scratchy! And you must do your own housekeeping: take out your garbage, clean your sink, make your beds, etc. Can't get an extra hour for check-out. Breakfast was very disappointing, but coffee was good.

I loved our stay at the Best Western. This was probably the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at. Even though our room was close to the elevator and ice machine, I never heard noise from either. The temperature in the room was easy to control, and you could have the fan running at either a high or low level; this also helped cancel out any potential hallway noise. The room and hotel itself were very clean. Breakfast room was large and sunny with a great variety of items to choose from. There was a pancake machine, waffle makers, cereal, instant oatmeal, muffins, bananas, oranges, juices, coffee, tea, sausage, eggs and bread for toasting. The location was great. There were several restaurants, shops and attractions within walking distance. Parking was plentiful. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Gettysburg.

We only stayed at the BW Gettysburg for one night but we had a great experience! We got in very late, around 1 a.m. and the gentleman at the front desk could not have been nicer or more welcoming. I wish we'd gotten his name because he was just absolutely fantastic. The room was updated, clean and spacious, always a bonus when traveling with three people. No complaints about the room at all--it seemed like a newer hotel. The breakfast buffet was fairly typical, but worked for us and was free. It had a pancake maker, fruit, cereals, breads and pastries, eggs, bacon & sausage. A pretty standard buffet. It was pretty crowded in the breakfast room, but that wasn't a huge deal, we just had to wait for a table for a short bit. Beautiful views from the breakfast room windows!

Beautiful new property. Ample parking. Convenient to everything in town yet located right on the edge of the battlefield - best of both worlds. Very clean, soft pillows, comfy beds. Basic breakfast included, and third floor dining room has a great view of the battlefield. Would definitely stay again!

I guess it always helps to have low expectations, but would have given 5 stars regardless. Super clean everywhere, rooms were sharp and appeared updated, not ragged or tired at all. Breakfast was solid and I believe they have serving stations on every floor. Staff was also great. The pool and pool room looked awesome but we didn't have time to use it. I was curious if the locations are franchised (individually owned) and they are. I mention this because the owners obviously care very much about the guests and the property. I would stay here again without reservation (did you get that hotel joke?).

The hotel room that I had was by far the worst sound insulated room I have ever occupied. I could not only hear the person in the next room snoring, but I also could hear their phone buzzing with their wake up alarm. The TV sounds from adjacent rooms were so prominent that not only could I hear TV sounds but I could hear the dialogue. The floor creaks from the room above with every step they take. Noises from the hallways are almost like they coming from inside the room. The hotel was clean and service was friendly (daily housekeeping was not available though), but the noise problems are horrific. I have never had a hotel noise issues worth comment until this experience.

We stayed for 2 nights. Staff was courteous but I was unaware of no daily housekeeping if staying for less than 5 days until check in. Not a huge deal but would have been nice to know ahead of time. We were on the first floor and very noisy due to heavy traffic area and right across from ice machine. Room was clean and air conditioning worked well. Pillows small and mattress not the most comfortable but overall we would stay here again. Location was excellent. A bit pricey for the stay.

Great hotel. Staff is outstanding and hard working. We appreciated being able to be in the breakfast room again after the previous years' issues. This was our 5th stay and would have been our 6th. Best Western Gettysburg is close to all we visit in Gettysburg,

This motel is in a great location right next to the railway museum and the Appalachian brewing Company. Easy walking distance to important locations. It's a very clean and neat motel. The rooms are roomy. Beds are comfortable Wi-Fi is good. I couldn't believe the breakfast spread! In addition, the front desk staff are very friendly and exceedingly helpful. I stayed for two nights and enjoyed it all.

Super clean, well maintained, updated -and I am very picky about cleanliness. No issues and that's a nice change when so many hotels are having issues even post COVID. I will stay there again when in the area. In the last 6 months I have been to Gettysburg three times in three different hotels and this was by far the best experience.

We stayed here for an overnight. Everybody from the front desk to the eating area were very pleasant. The rooms and hotel were very clean. Workout room and pool area very nice also. Convenient to everything. Would definitely return here next time.

The Best Western Gettysburg is our go to hotel when visiting our daughter at Gettysburg College. We've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean (and I am quite picky about cleanliness.) And the location to downtown is great. Oh, and I find the beds to be comfortable!

We visited Gettysburg during the Labor Day weekend. This was our first time staying at a Best Western hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The room was a good size, it was clean, and it had everything we needed, including an iron. The location was great! We were in town for a homeschool field trip to the Gettysburg Visitor's Center (film, cyclorama, and museum) and we did the Battlefield Bus Tour from there as well. It was an easy, quick drive from the hotel to the Visitor's Center. The breakfast was nice. They offered eggs, pancakes, sausage, toast, English muffins, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, and more. Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) was able to find something satisfying for each of our tastes. It was also very pleasant to eat our breakfast in the dining area with a beautiful view of the battlefield. What a great way to start our day!

The room was really good for our family, the variety of the breakfast was pretty good and also allowed us to basically skip lunch with the options available. The coffee all the time was awesome. The pool was OK, not the cleanest and there really should be a spa but it was ok. Another family was very rude to the rest of the guests but the front desk did nothing about it- this is why we only gave a rating of very good. Also our room rate was a bit higher than other places for the same space and same timeframe.

We stayed at the Best Western for 3 nights. The hotel was very clean and all the employees were nice. The breakfast was good and it had the minimum. Highly recommend to anyone going to Gettysburg. You can see the battlefields from the hotel.

Staff friendly and efficient. If Breakfast was better and they had more staff to pickup and empty trash more would have been 5stars. Front desk staff were great and would go beyond to help you out or listen to a concern. They were very knowledgeable about area and had great suggestions on things to do.

I have never stayed at a Best Western before this trip. The rooms were extremely clean. The property was in tip top shape. You couldn't ask for a friendlier staff. The free breakfast was great. The location of the property was within a short walking distance to the shops, restaurants, attractions, battlefield, and cemetery. I highly recommend this Best Western and will stay again. Excellent!

This was the perfect place to stay, right in the heart of Gettysburg. You can leave your car in the lot and walk to where you need to go. There are some further away Gettysburg sights you will need to either take a tour of or use your own car but for the most part, this is a great location. Beds were comfortable, had everything we needed.

Within walking distance of restaurants, shops and the battlefield, this hotel was fantastic. It was so clean, updated and the staff was pleasant. It has a full breakfast on the 3rd floor overlooking the battlefield. We loved everything about our stay.

The suite we got was lovely. Enjoyed the staff. Pool was small but perfect for the space. Really enjoyed our experience. The staff was very friendly and ready to accommodate any needs a family could have. Perfect location. On the battlefield and close walk to amenities, shops, and food.

This was our 4th stay at Best Western Gettysburg. It's great to park here and walk to places we want to visit. Staff has always been friendly and all areas are very clean. The breakfast area is small but is a good alternative to going out.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in July. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is gorgeous, clean and modern. I enjoyed looking out toward the battlefield, even if one child wanted to sit up and watch for ghosts. The shower was perfect after a HOT day of battlefield exploration. Breakfast was really good, too.

One of newer hotels in GBurg. Pool, ex room, free bkfst, free pkng, free WiFi, free electric chg station for cars. Clean rooms of good size with good bedding. Close to battlefield, visitor center, and restaurants that you can get to by walking.

clean and quiet hotel near all attractions. Better value than most other hotels. We are loyality members but there is never any mention about that when we check it. I think the front desk staff should advise what rewards there are available.

Our stay at the BW Gettysburg was terrific!!Location was right off the battlefield and made biking very practical. The staff was accommodating and helpful changing rooms to make our stay all that much enjoyable. Totally recommend this hotel to anyone tour the battlefield by car, bike or foot!!

The guest services crew was very friendly and funny when we checked in. We did not book in advance so it was a nice treat to be able to go to Gettysburg during the July 4th holiday weekend and get a very nice and clean room to spend a few nights in. This Best Western is very close to town and made it very easy to walk to most of the town attractions. I will say that I had some of the best nights sleep because of how comfortable the bedding was. I didn't wake up achy or sore which can make or break a family vacation. I will definitely consider this hotel on our next visit!

The hotel cleanliness, the staff professionalism, and the ease of access were all top-notch; It was by far, the best hotel stay I've have had in a very long time. I will be making this destination a priority in all future trips to Gettysburg, PA.

Our stay was wonderful. If we could give more stars we would. This is the very best Best Western we ever visited. The location for Gettysburg history buffs is excellent, very close to Cemetery Ridge. The hotel is very modern, well appointed, clean, sanitized, and quite new (I'm told about 5 years old, but looks newer.) The rooms appear larger than most motel rooms with all the modern conveniences. The interior decorations are very pleasing as if by an interior decorator. The free breakfast is good with a third floor view and vista of Cemetary Ridge, the third day and decisive battle at Gettysburg.

We stayed here in June for 5 nights and had a 2 Queen bed suite, 3rd floor. Room was spacious for a family of 4. It had a mini fridge and microwave. Second queen bed was in its own little room with pocket doors. Boys loved having their own room with their own tv. Room was right down the hall from the breakfast room which was convenient. Enjoyed looking at the scenery while having breakfast every morning. Hotel is on the edge of town but within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. It's really the perfect location. All staff were nice and helpful. My only complaint is that beds were VERY firm. I had a hard time getting comfortable because I like my mattress softer. My husband likes a firm mattress but he even said these mattresses were hard. Also, be aware that you do not get daily housekeeping unless you are staying more than 5 nights. The front desk can help you with anything you need. If we ever return to Gettysburg, we will for sure stay here again.

We were greeted by Karey upon arrival. She was very sweet and very helpful. The hotel was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Our room was comfortable. Our family really enjoyed the pool and the delicious breakfast eaten in a lovely room overlooking the battlefield. We also appreciated the convenience of being able to walk to downtown. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Gettysburg.

The Best Western in Gettysburg has again made our stay at the Battlefield very enjoyable. The breakfast was available at 6 am with a nice variety of food. Our room was clean & ready a little early. We walked downtown to eat lunch at The Gettysburger restaurant & shop with it only being an 18 minute walk. You can walk to much of the battlefield from the hotel. The staff was professional & courteous.

Hotel was nicer than expected and very close to battlefield, restaurants and shopping. You could walk to several places but it was not close to the town square. The rooms were large, very clean and decorated pleasantly. Staff was more than helpful and friendly. Breakfast was typical and nothing outstanding. I did not care for having to get on the elevator each morning and going to the third floor and all the way down the hall. During Covid I book first floor rooms to avoid the elevator and also book them as I have difficulty walking, so location of breakfast room was an inconvenience. Parking lot seemed small with barely enough parking. Disappointed that there was no outdoor seating area.

Hotel was clean, with pool & other amenities. The breakfast was good, and the 3rd floor breakfast room overlooked the open battlefield along Cemetery Ridge. It was a nice place to eat while contemplating the battlefield struggles that took place over those fields back in 1863 to make this nation free for all who lived here. The hotel exterior is not flashy, but decorated in a nicely subdued color scheme so it does not stand out & ruin the view from Cemetery Hill. It is a shame the fast food venues near there do not take the same approach to making their establishments less of an eyesore. Overall it is a nice central area to stay, with many dinner choices in walking distance. The touristy T-shirt shops are a few blocks up the street but easily avoidable if you are looking for a quiet evening stroll; just walk south, or cross the street to the National Cemetery and Cemetery Ridge.

This hotel has an outstanding staff of very friendly and helpful people. The rooms are always spotless and very comfortable. I have been using this hotel as my "headquarters" in Gettysburg since it opened. The breakfast area is well stocked and well maintained. It provides just the right start to my day. As a re-enactor and historian I often carry a lot of uniforms and equipment with me and the rooms are large enough to handle it all. You could not find a better location as you are looking out on a portion of the battlefield while you eat your breakfast!

This was my second visit to this hotel: friendly staff, nice-sized indoor pool, everything in working order and clean. I really enjoy having breakfast overlooking a battlefield. The breakfast room is nicely laid out and large, compared to many.

It was good, clean, very little to bug us. Loved having coffee all the time and hot water for husbands tea. The view at breakfast was nice. The indoor pool was also nice. It was over all nice. Most of the staff were helpful.

Location is ideally located at the edge of downtown and the Battlefield. The lobby and rooms are all neat and tidy with basic amenities. Staff is pleasant but not overly friendly. Breakfast is basic but coffee is excellent! Rooms are quite quiet...i had a room beside the pool and work out room and was insulated from most of the kiddos playing. Beds are comfy and rooms have real thermostats which is very nice to maintain a good temp.

Nicely appointed rooms, and a breakfast room with a view of the battlefields make this a great choice. You can walk to downtown from here, and the rooms are very nice. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, but good enough. Service was polite and friendly. Nice coffee machine in the lobby.

This hotel is right across from the battlefields, convenient to shopping, food and tour locations. The hotel is very modern with beautiful rooms. Easy access to everything and ample parking, which you can mostly leave your car since you can walk to everything.

The BW Gettysburg has a super location and very comfortable rooms. On top of that, the staff is friendly and professional. We think all Gettysburg hotel prices are high, but all the factors of the BW, again especially location (easy walking to restaurants and shopping plus historical sites), make it worth staying there. We'll be back...

The Best Western Gettysburg is an excellent hotel. Our hotel room was clean and inviting. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in not only assisting us with linen but also providing guidance as what to visit in this historic town.

This hotel has a great staff, clean comfortable rooms and breakfast. Due to staffing rooms are only cleaned after 5 days. The fitness center has minimal equipment and there is a good size swimming pool. Extremely close to the visitor center and cemetery. Walking distance to restaurants and shops.

We check in notice red straws on the floor. It was after midnight. Next morning I went to the front desk and they told them. No sorry or anything said back to me. Thwn my daughter found a person's eye glass case, i went to front desk and finally got a sorry and thats it. The breakfast was the same all four days, egg patty, sausage patty, bread, cereal, pancakes and fruit. Would be nice it they mixed it up a liitle.

We departed shortly after midnight after my husband's foot was bitten by a bed bug. He was sleeping on the sofa bed. As well, I killed another bed bug that was crawling across a pillow toward my six year old son on the main bed. When we brought the dead bugs to the front desk clerk, she told us that all she could do was move us to another room. That amazes me as that would potentially just spread the bed bugs to another location. Of course, it is possible that they are already in other rooms as the staff indicated that they would address the bed bugs by having their company clean the room (why not the entire hotel?). After talking with the manager, he indicated to me that he was aware of the bed bug problem and that it was just something they had to deal with in these times. He did refund our payment, so I commend him for that appropriate response. This hotel needs to take the right approach and holistically address the bed bug issue as it's likely not isolated to one room. Hopefully, the management understands this and does so.

This Best Western is truly a gem! It is the ‘best of the best' when it comes to the Best Western brand. Our quality of stay was phenomenal. The site was spacious & very nice when we walked in. The staff was courteous & made great meal time recommendations. They have large rooms & bathrooms, pool, fridge, microwave, breakfast, laundry machines on site. Housekeeping did a great job as well! We couldn't have ask for more! Thank you BW Gettysburg for an amazing stay!

My adult son has traveled to Gettysburg multiple times and stayed in different hotels, he gives this one 5 stars!

We stayed here while visiting Gettysburg with my in laws, and 3 year old and 1 year old. The staff were friendly and had everything ready for us. The pool was great and stocked with towels in the pool area. It was heated. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good and overlooks the Gettysburg cemetery. The location is wonderful. It's right across the street from the park. You will need to drive to the visitor center but it is not far and this hotel is walking distance from several restaurants. If coming in the area again, I would definitely stay here again.

We stay here 90 percent of the time when we go to Gettysburg. The only time we stay elsewhere is when they have no rooms. The service and cleanliness of the hotel brings us back every time. We have not had a bad stay at all and we travel to Gettysburg at minimum once a month.

My 2 sons and I stopped at Gettysburg for one night over spring break. The hotel is perfect for that type of visit. The location is great, just across from the battle field. The rooms are clean and spacious. The internet is free. The breakfast with a great view of the battlefield was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would 100% stay here again on a similar trip.

I moved to this hotel after checking in and immediately out of another one in town. It was the best move we made. The hotel was spotless, and secured. Rooms were very spacious with a couch area to unwind and watch tv. Perfect location close to everything, most importantly the brewery 2 buildings away. The only negative was the woman working the front desk. The people in front of my waited there over 5 minutes for her to show up and it was met with her eye rolls. When it was my turn to check in, while she was nice, when I didn't hear her and she needed to repeat herself it was with an eye roll. When I stopped by later to get something to drink and add it to my room charge she acted irritated that I interrupted her eating her dinner and met with an eye roll. We just started affectionally referring to her as the eye roller and didn't let it bother us. But I think maybe management should talk with her about it to avoid future problems with guests. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay.

The hotel was located right across from the park which made it most convenient to access all that the park had to offer. The rooms were clean, quiet, and the staff most helpful. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay and who have a passion for history.

This is a very clean hotel, with good service and comfortable rooms. Good location for all tourist site and local restaurants. Book early as it will fill up in the summer months. Highly recommended for families, couples and business travelers.

We came to celebrate our belated 11th Anniversary. The staff was amazing and very approachable. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. We had breakfast every morning and enjoyed eating in the 3rd floor dinning room, the view of the park was beautiful and relaxing. We have already planned our next trip and can't wait to return.

I have been staying at this Best Western since it opened. My son went to Gettysburg College so I was there several times a year. Many times I would be traveling alone and I always feel safe staying there alone. Nathan and his staff has not changed in all this time. Even with COVID they are doing what has to be done and putting the safety of their guest first.

Hotel was good value for price. Clean comfortable rooms, nice pool, fitness center was good except treadmill was broke. Only bad part was the breakfast, green bananas, nasty jimmy dean microwaveable sandwiches, packet oatmeal and little generic juices. OJ was sour. Muffins and coffee were good though. If you come here with kids and hope to save on breakfast or for yourself, be prepared to have an early lunch or go buy breakfast. Other then that, I would recommend. Great location aswell. Walk right across the street to battlefield and cemetery. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance and right next door to friendly's restaurant and McDonald's.

We booked this room for our family at the last minute. It had everything we needed for a quick overnight ahead of a next morning ski trip. The room was clean and spacious, the staff were helpful, and the check in/out process was quick and easy. Selecting this hotel was an easy yes given the prior reviews, location, price point and included breakfast. I would happily stay here again.

My husband & I were in town to visit friends. We arrived to Gettysburg around 12:30am. We had reservations at another nearby hotel, which we ended up wanting to leave due to cleanliness. We looked on TripAdvisor & saw Best Western, and drove straight there. When we walked in, Cecelia greeted us, we explained what happened, and she got us a room for both nights of our stay. We signed up for the Rewards program & she was able to give us a discount. The rooms & hotel overall are clean, comfortable, and pretty. Cecelia was friendly, empathetic & was able to help us out. We drove over 5 hours from Cleveland to a bad hotel, and she helped us get into somewhere better. We will be staying at Best Western from now on!

Great staff, I have stayed there a lot this past year, I have not wanted for anything. Staff members call me by name. That goes pretty far with me. Cecelia and Connor always pleasant at 4:30 in the morning. Makes for a good start to my day.

You can't beat this place for the price. Everything looked nice and clean. The staff was very friendly, even at 0430 in the morning when I left. I will definitely consider staying here on future trips with this hotel being the first to consider.

Great location close to historic districts/sites. Clean and quiet. Due to COVID the breakfast leaves a bit to be desired (nothing hot, have to microwave packages of oatmeal and pre-made jimmy dean sandwiches) but not awful given the situation. Our room was across from the breakfast room and I didn't hear anything.

Very clean hotel In good location with ample Parking. Only stayed one night so I didn't get to use the pool. Breakfast was good but there were no sandwiches with no meat. Being a vegetarian I had to stick to the very sugary other options. Room was clean. Extra pillows were provided. Everything worked as it should and the bathroom was spacious. Nice view from the window as well.

Everything you need is here, clean, friendly, convenient. Great all around. If rooms available no sense is looking anywhere else. I would definitely stay here again. By the way this was my first experience staying at a Best Western. Gettysburg does it on point..

We have stayed at Gettysburg Best Western since it opened. Rooms are reasonably priced and have always been clean. The staff has always been very courteous, friendly and helpful. Great location. Just a short walk to the center of town and across the street from one of the battlefields.

We would definitely stay here again. It is located right at the battlefield. The area is quiet and clean. The Dobbin House is a 5 minute walk away. Parking was very easy. There is not anything bad that I can say about our stay.

The place was great. During the off-season, the prices are good. Very clean. Very nice. We chatted with the employees about the area. The employees were great. The breakfast r0om view made for a nice morning.

We just recently returned from another nice stay at this hotel. This was our second stay here, as our first was pre-Covid, but it probably was our tenth visit to Gettysburg. We had a King room on the third floor, which also had a sofa, and our room was very clean. The person who checked us in was very nice and explained about the changes regarding breakfast and housekeeping services. We were okay with their policy as everyone is doing their best in respect to Covid. The only complaint that I have would have to be our mattress. It was so hard and uncomfortable. My husband and I didn't sleep well because of that. In my very first review of this hotel, I believe that it was fairly new and the mattresses most likely were brand new, therefore, I gave it a glowing review. I hope that in the future they replace their mattresses and also encase them in covers as ours had a stain on it with only a thin sheet on top.

We loved our visit to Gettysburg and the Best Western is in a great location. We had a lovely room with a king bed plus a pullout couch which gave my husband an extra area to set up his computer. We were able to walk to many focal points and restaurants. We definitely will choose this hotel again.

Have stayed here quite a few times since this newer hotel was built. Both the facilities as well as the staff are top-notch. In particular, Brian and Cecelia have helped make my visits easy and more enjoyable. A superb stay and great location here.

Make reservations as far ahead as you can. This hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and go above what they have to do for you. They have a great buffet breakfast (not now because of Covid) but offer a grab and go and offer many items and as much as you like. I love the coffee machine in the lobby. We have been staying there for quite a few years.

This hotel is in a great location close to restaurants and pubs. The lobby, rooms, hallways, and grounds were well maintained, clean and well-lit. My room was spotless, everything was in working order, the bed was extremely comfortable, the room temperature was easy to adjust and the heating/cooling system was quiet. I would stay here again and recommend it for others!

Went to Gettysburg to tour the battlefields and play golf with a group of girlfriends. This Best Western was perfect for our two night visit. Location was fantastic with us able to walk into town, mee up with our double decker tour bus, walk to a ghost tour, dinners and even fabulous ice cream and fudge afterwards. The staff was friendly, professional and welcoming. The rooms were nicely appointed with refrigerators, microwave ovens,, coffee makers and safes. A desk and in my case comfy king bed. Rooms were clean, despite the shortage of staff and the price point was quite economical. Very happy and would definitely stay here again when in the area.

The Best Western in Gettysburg is wonderful; exceptionally clean and great attention to detail. The staff is friendly, courteous, and very helpful, especially Brian who was working a great deal of the time during our stay this past weekend. Even being short-staffed, the room was exceptionally clean and well-stocked with towels and toiletries. The breakfast was perfect for grab and go, that included a wide assortment of breakfast sandwiches, fruits, cereals and muffins, as well as juices and fresh coffee, which was available 24/7. The other positive aspect is the location of this hotel. It is the perfect walking distance to many attractions as well as the National Cemetery and the visitor's center, as well as walking to town. This is the only place we have stayed the last four visits, and will continue to stay at this awesome hotel!

The location is good and the room is ok. The front desk is staffed by one person, who is not very helpful, who chats with people checking in while a long line forms. hotel staff are not masked which is a disappointment, and there is no requirement for people to mask in common areas., despite the fact that there is a lot of COVID locally. I guess they have no interest in keeping guests safe. The sign in the lobby says they are not able to provide daily housekeeping due to difficulty hiring staff. Maybe they should offer better pay, and if they can't provide daily housekeeping, why are they charging more than 200 dollars a night for a room? If you forget your toothpaste, they will sell you a tiny tube for 3 bucks. There is nothing wrong with making a living, but overcharging leaves something to be desired. Consider staying somewhere else.

Did a quick overnight stay in Gettysburg & always stay with Best Western. The hotel was very clean & modern & so close to everything. We have been traveling during the pandemic, so the Grab & Go breakfasts are fine-we did sit in the 3rd floor area to enjoy the view. Staff was very nice & will definitely come back if we are in the area.

Check in and check out went well; the room was clean and spacious. Grab and Go breakfast could have had healthier options, but that was not a great concern to me. Two minute walk to a nearby restaurant/pub was super convenient after a long drive. Battlefield Auto Tour right around the corner.

The Best Western Gettysburg is a great place to stay for location, staff and rates. The rooms and lobby are pleasantly decorated, clean, roomy and comfortable. We stayed 4 days and were able to walk to shops, restaurants, landmarks and even downtown Main Street. The breakfast adjustment due to Covid era staffing challenges was excellent. There was a variety of breakfast sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, juice, breakfast bars and pop tarts. Something for everyone definitely stay here again. We will definitely return.

Best Western is a great place to stay. It's new, clean and well kept. I would recommend it to anyone going to Gettysburg. The location is very close to the battlefield and nearby attractions. We stay here everytime we come to town.

I loved the comfort, the location and the size of our king size room. We were in room 330 and another plus was that the windows open so one can have some fresh air. Our location was close to the sites, restaurants and we were in a quiet area. Also, the pool was very nice and it opened at 6am! Everyone was very kind and a big thank you to Kerry who was always there to answer any questions. Best Western never disappoints.

Very clean with nice and professional staff! The pricing is not bad at all, especially when you see the hotel iteself and what you can get. Will definitely come visit again if we find ourselves back in gettysburg.

I very much enjoyed my stay here. This gets my highest mark for cleanliness. You can tell it was fairly recently built: it has a modern feel but is still warm and didn't sacrice function. The rooms are ample. Furnishings and decor are very nice. There's a variety of lighting choices. The bathrooms are clean, bright, and ample with extra hooks for towels. The shared hotel spaces were similarly well appointed. My husband, who has a bad back and is currently overweight -- found the mattress uncomfortable. My teen son and I though they were fine. The pillows were great. Negatives: Like so many hotels, this one does not have exhaust fans in the bathroom. Gym was lacking per my DH. He said there was only one treadmill -- and that it was weak and the belt was skipping. Needed servicing. He used the elliptical instead. Hotel staff was professional and friendly.

Best Western Gettysburg was phenomenal, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The building was clean and quiet with excellent amenities. The room was spacious and beds very comfortable, highly highly recommend.

If cleanliness is a priority, well recommended hotel. Efficient and friendly staff. Great location, everything within walking distance. We don't have any pets and a family member is allergic, therefore this hotel was a perfect choice for us.

Really - check-in is at 3 p.m., so arrive at 3 p.m. or after. The hotel is short on housekeeping staff, so rooms are not cleaned each day. If guests are expected for a room, guests would be expected to arrive after 3 p.m. - NOT BEFORE. We arrived at noon - understanding that the room may not be ready. I will skip to our experience of waiting for our room, only to shorten this review: This room was perfect; clean, everything worked, quiet hallways, did not hear neighbors' TV or conversations. Breakfast was fine - the sign on the elevator said breakfast was on the first floor and toasters and microwaves were on the top floor. Breakfast sandwiches, bananas, yogurt - very simple. All pre-wrapped. Walking distance to almost everything tourists would want to do. Staff was very accommodating. I am saddened by staff shortages that businesses suffer, and this hotel is doing remarkably well under the circumstances. I saw only one person at the reception desk at any given time. We were well stocked with towels, cups, coffee, etc. for our 2-night stay so we had no need to ask for anything extra. Plenty of choices to exit the building to get to the parking lot, unless using a wheelchair. Ramps are on only main entrance and back door. Key entry required on all doors except main entrance.

Stay here for the location - it's extremely convenient if you would like to drop in here and there while touring Gettysburg. The room has a fridge and microwave which was convenient. The hotel is clean, but the service is not 100% given that they are understaffed. No cleaning service and you have to change out your towels with the front desk. I normally don't mind using towels more than once, but they don't dry given the high humidity. There is "breakfast" but that's also running at 50%. It's in a conference room. The HVAC was annoyingly loud as were the folks that seem to always need to slam door at all hours of the day or night. Wish people were more thoughtful about that, especially at 5:00 a.m in the morning!

For the price, we were very disappointed in the customer service and the “breakfast”. The two people we encountered at the front desk were not friendly at all. The first one seemed bothered to have to get off her stool to wait on us. The second one seemed bothered to have to get off his elbows to wait on us. I asked him for 4 towels and instead of giving me 4 folded towels behind him, he gave me 4 unfolded towels he supposedly just got out of the dryer that were laying on the front counter so he didn't have to fold them (his words). Both seemed more interested in watching the lobby tv. There is a paper sign by the elevator stating breakfast is on the third floor but it's actually in a cramped conference room on the first floor and it's grab and go. We stayed in a cheaper hotel before getting to Gettysburg that had breakfast with waffles, eggs, cereal and milk. So it's more about laziness, not Covid protocol. We had our “do not disturb” sign on our door and housekeeping knocked and used her key to enter our room anyway.

Perfect location for access to the main downtown, yet far enough away to be nice and quiet. Rooms are beautiful. The other amenities looked very clean and nice, pool, weights, etc. but didnt get to experience them. Breakfast was available but went into town to get an early start. Will definitely stay here again.

We were very happy with our stay here. Check-in was smooth and the front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. She answered all my questions before I had a chance to ask them. Our rooms were clean and exactly as pictured. Beds were comfortable, but I'm not super picky about that. The pool was on the small side but nice and warm. Overall, everything seemed pretty bright and new. Breakfast was as expected during Covid. We still ate in the very nice breakfast room on the third floor, despite the grab and go breakfast being set up down stairs. My kids got the breakfast sandwiches, which you can heat in the microwave in your room, and they said they were okay. The location is very convenient to the Battlefield and cemetery and relatively convenient to downtown. There are dining options within close walking distance, including the Appalachian Brewing Company pretty much next door. Numerous attractions like the Jennie Wade House, Dobbin House, ghost tours, ice cream shops, and more are also within reasonable walking distance. We'd be happy to stay here again.

The Best Western is Very clean and well organized. We walked to different restaurants which were all very crowded this week. You can also visit the shops or tours without using your car. The "High Water Mark" on the battlefield is an easy walk as well.

This is a home away from home for me and my fiance' whenever we visit Gettysburg. The location is absolutely PERFECT - it is right at the edge of historic Gettysburg but close enough that you can walk into town easily or drive to anywhere on the battlefield quickly. The hotel is relatively new so it is extremely neat and clean. Nathan and Brian would always say hello as we would pass through the lobby. Everyone was so friendly and able to provide us with anything we needed. In the midst of the pandemic when we were there back in November, to the end (I hope!) of the pandemic while we were there at the beginning of this month, there was never an issue with towels or the cleanliness of the room. If something was needed, they provided without hesitation. It is a family owned business, which makes all the difference in the world to me. BW is and will always be my go to hotel for vacation. Thank you!

I would think that a three night stay would warrant at least one room clean but nearly $700 later and our room was filled with our trips worth of trash. The toilet was clogged and we were given the plunger to fix it. Nothing edible for an adult at “breakfast” unless you enjoy pop tarts or packaged oatmeal. Landscaping crew began mowing/trimming directly outside our first floor room before 8am.

Hotel is very nice, great location. Food, shopping and tourist attractions within walking distance. It still is not back to normal with room service and breakfast which is a shame. I like clean towels daily that I do not have to go looking for.

We stayed at the Gettysburg Best Western 3 nights in June. The hotel was clean & the front desk staff was very professional & friendly! The grab & go breakfast was well stocked & organized. We walked to several areas of the battlefield & downtown was a 10 minute walk. We will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Great hotel. My wife and I stay here 3-4 times per year. Located right across from the old (AND BEST) visitor's center that was torn down some years ago. Beautiful view of the battlefield. Close walk to the McDonald's and the newest Brewhouse. Peaceful benches to people watch from. Short walk to Dobbins, O'Rourke's, Gettysburg Eddie's, Tommy's Pizza and Hunt's Battlefield Fires. PERFECTLY located. Staff is great and hotel is super clean. Newspapers in the lobby and plenty of free parking. I will continue to stay here OFTEN!

The bed was rock hard, all eight pillows were the same, too soft. Towels were sandpaper. One of the reasons that I stayed at this overpriced hotel was because they used to have a good breakfast and that is of course worth a lot, but breakfast was an annoying, bad nightmare. The only real food was a frozen biscuit without mustard or mayonnaise. I asked for one or the other and the girl left without a word and did not come back within five minutes, so I left.

The room was big, very clean and comfortable. The staff were very polite and friendly in a genuine, down to earth way. Great location, short walk to downtown area, near key museums and the main battlefield sites.

We hadn't stayed in a Best Western in a while but we were extremely pleased with this hotel. The room was a nice size and it was very comfortable. The location in perfect, close to the historical sites and within walking distance to several of the museums, shops, attractions, and restaurants on Steinwehr Ave. and Baltimore Streets. The service was great, plenty of on site parking, and a nice grab and go breakfast. We would be happy to stay there again.

We stayed here to enable my brother and I the opportunity to spend a full day exploring the battlefield at Gettysburg, and we were not disappointed. It has a great location, close to both many of the battlefield sights, the National Cemetery, and several good restaurants within walking distance. They are slowly recovering from Covid restrictions, so the services were somewhat limited, but this is understandable. I recommend this to anyone interested in exploring historic Gettysburg.

We enjoyed our stay! They did the best they could with breakfast during covid and the location was excellent! The pool was fine and the third floor breakfast area was really neat! I would stay here again. Good value for the money.

I'm sorry but I expected things to be as they once were. I expected a full breakfast, but I got a very poor grab-n-go selection in a side conference room off the lobby. They did not even remove the conference room chairs, just pushed them in the back. the nice spacious 3rd floor breakfast room is closed but you can you up there and eat your crappy breakfast with a view of the battlefield. But they have no trays or anything to carry your breakfast. I was stuffing bananas in my pants. There is no housekeeping either. The room looked clean on the surface but when looking for a lost item I found filth and debris under everything, including a blue pill and decomposing food. The sink had not stopper; not just missing but never installed. And the volume on the very small TV was limited to 30 on a scale of 100. There was also a deep thrumming sound at night like THRUM=THRUM=THRUM. The first night we had to put in ear plugs. The second night it was present but less and did not need the plugs. Other than that it was fine. The location is great. Staff was friendly and helpful. I felt I payed full price and things should be as they once were just 15 months ago. But businesses can't hire enough people.

We stayed at the best western gettysburg over memorial day weekend. Very nice hotel with a great location! We were able to walk to almost anything we needed, lunch, ice cream and museums. Even with covid still being a concern, breakfast was good and coffee was available at all times. If a trip brings us to Gettysburg again we will most definitely staying here again.

I've never stayed anywhere I didn't like in Gettysburg but this is the ideal spot. The location is perfect for walking downtown and close to Tommy's our favorite pizza spot in town. I won't stay anywhere else on our future trips to Gettysburg! I can't leave out how great the staff was and how clean it was! Stay here you won't be disappointed!

Friendly front desk staff gave us dining suggestions, local history. Efficient check in and out and our room faced the battlefield. A little pricey, but well worth it. Clean modern room. Good location within walking distance of the Main Street.

Last week we chose this hotel as a 1/2 way point to our final destination and return trip. The lobby area, hallways and room was immaculate! You can see the care that is taken by the staff to care for the property. Kerry, Brian, and Cecelia were the friendliest and most helpful people! The location is great and close to both shopping and the historical monuments and battle field areas. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

We stayed in room 103 for one night. It is located at the back, near the end of the corridor. The outside door is close by. The beds were comfortable, the room modern and clean. The staff is friendly and professional. Breakfast is grab and go. The price is a little high. Our b and b was cheaper and the breakfast superior.

Second time staying here and convinced it is the best in Gettysburg. Extremely close to everything and kept in excellent condition. Service very efficient and friendly. look forward to returning in the future

Great hotel. Have stayed here in the past it was a top line hotel then and it still is today. The room are very clean, well appointed and has a great bed. The room has a thermostat on the wall opposite the as/heat unit which made for easy adjustment of the room temp. The main room and the bathroom is large and made me feel like they were thinking of the guest when designing the rooms and not how many rooms they could cram into the hotel. We will be going back in the fall and will stay here again.

This is my second stay at this particular Best Western and they have continued to exceed my expectations. My room was ready early, my room was immaculate, Covid protocols were in place. The Breakfast Grab and Go was explained as well as pool and Fitness Center hours.

My children and I stayed here while making a 2 day trip to Gettysburg. The location was in walking distance to many points of interest, shopping, and restaurants. The staff was FANTASTIC, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. My kids had a blast unwinding in the pool. I felt the property is handling COVID well, I felt safe the whole time. I will choosing to stay here next time I am in town and will recommend to my family and friends.

We stayed in several different hotels this trip, and can't remember about the breakfast, which means it wasn't memorable. But we would recommend this hotel.

We visit Gettysburg 2-3 times a year. This was our first stay at the Best Western. Very clean, neat and staff were very friendly. All the precautions they had in place for COVID, made our stay very reassuring.

In our frequent visits to Gettysburg we watched the building and completion of this Best Western and decided to give it a try. We were very glad we did and will happily return. Each member of the hotel's staff was cordial, helpful, and well-versed on all matters Gettysburg. The location for access to the Battlefield is perfect and we found it an easy walk to other attractions and many Gettysburg restaurants. We were very comfortable with the precautions and protocols related to the COVID virus.

Perfect location in downtown Gettysburg. Worth the stay for being so close to both the battlefield and tourist shops/ Restaurants. With the hotel being brand new, it was an excellent and cleanly option. All the civil war decor was a plus too! The third floor has great views of downtown or the battlefield.

Overall, I had a great stay here. The location can't be beat if you want to be at the field quickly. In particular, I want to thank Cecelia at the front desk. She was very helpful at night when I couldn't sleep. She was super friendly, helpful and went out of her way to try and help me with things! She seemed to really care about my comfort during the stay, which I very much appreciated! Thank you Cecilia and to the rest of the staff.

I'm a rewards member & my daughter & I stayed at the Best Western Gettysburg recently while touring Gettysburg College & we had several concerns. It was our first time visiting the area & we asked if there were any rooms with a view if we might upgrade. The gentleman at reception offered a "room with a view." When we checked into our room, we had a view of McDonalds & the parking lot. Additionally, although the hotel has signs reminding guests "masks are required," we saw housekeeping walking the halls multiple times without masks, & front desk staff + management without masks, only putting them on when guests approached. I asked one of the housekeeping staff why she wasn't wearing a mask, she replied, "I don't wear one when I'm cleaning the rooms." I found this an unacceptable practice during a global pandemic. My daughter & I prefer fresh air & had our window partially open in our room. We had to close it several times due to cigarette smoke overpoweringly wafting in. Although the hotel is non-smoking, the property isn't & cigarette breaks happened underneath our window. The days & nights were chilly & our beds had sheets + one light blanket which wasn't adequate. We did have two very helpful staff members at reception, who went above and beyond to help us find transportation & to provide us with information about the area. We did appreciate the mini fridge & microwave & filtered water provided in the lobby. However, overall, this was a disappointing stay & we won't return.

When the other reviewers say this is “The Best Best Western”, they weren't kidding. This is the best place to stay in Gettysburg. The battlefield is across the street. All of the best shops, restaurants and attractions are within feet. The hotel rooms, staff and amenities are just right. Free parking at the hotel and a nice indoor swimming pool. Even with Covid, I thought the free breakfast offerings were ample.

We chose the BW in Gettysburg because of the many, many positive reviews on Trip Advisor. You folks did not disappoint! This is such a nice place!!! The staff were friendly and professional from our very first encounter. The rooms are modern, well equipped and clean. Strongly recommend!

Took my kids here for a short spring break trip to Gettysburg, along with some friends. This hotel was very nice and clean, and seemed recently renovated. Front desk staff was very nice and answered all questions, the grab-and-go breakfast was good, and the hotel was an easy walk to many restaurants. Kids loved the indoor heated pool. Would definitely recommend this as a good, clean, convenient place to stay!

Great price. 15 min walk to town. By a brewery. Clean. Free parking. Big tour bus is close by too. 35 a person. Haunted house too. Good ice cream half way into town. Can cover everything in a full day.

This is a beautiful hotel! It is new, very clean, and close to all things Gettysburg! It's far enough on the edge of the main drag that you can get a good night's sleep. The battlefield is very close, along with some very nice restaurants.

We love the hotel it was beautiful. The pool was great a d the breakfast was really goos and offeref lots of items. All the staff members we encountered were delightful,helpful and friendly! We booked a weekend at the best western Gettysburg for this weekend. It was last minute and despite it being March our favorite places (Brickhouse being one) were booked. We decided on Best Western as it looked clean and had some availablity. After checking in and getting our room (106) we took in our belongings. I always do a surface cleaning myself just for safety. Then I decided to pull back the mattress pad and check the mattress. There they were right in the corner seam. Also there was hair and black dots of something laying on the box springs.. it needed a good cleaning . I took a picture and showed it to front desk... she told me that they have been having problems with their cleaning staff not doing a good job. She also sent up maintenance to look. They agreed the room had bed bugs but had no other room to move us to. We ended up having to pack up and make the long drive back home. This was so disappointing and cost us our weekend plans. I would not be able to recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully they start doing a better job.. if something like that is missed... what else isn't being tended to properly?? Maybe the same towel being used to clean the sink right after the toilet!?

Everything was above expectations. We have stayed at this hotel and other BW's in the past. This is by far the BEST BW. Great location to the city Square, close enough to walk to everything. Great parking location in relation to the hotel. Very well lot lot and good amount of space for loading and unloading baggage in the parking lot.

Hotel staff was very attentive to our needs. I have stayed at every hotel in Gettysburg over the last 12 years and this has been the best place to stay in my opinion.They have a great rewards program and the staff makes sure you get the latest promotion that Best Western has going on at that time.

Stayed here while in the area on a business trip. Nice staff, clean rooms, great location. It's a newer, modern hotel. Walking distance to restaurants and attractions, but on the outskirts so on the quiet side. Will definitely stay here again.

We've stayed at several area hotels, but the Best Western is absolutely the best value. Easily walkable to the square and all local attractions, while still a bit removed from downtown for a quiet experience.

I have stayed at Best Western 3 times since January 1st 2021. This is by far the best hotel experience I have had in Gettysburg and I stay a lot. The staff is friendly and attentive. Coffee is good and available 24 hours. We used the pool this time and it was like everything else at this hotel...fabulous.

Very clean and accessible staff was pleasant and helpful. The property was relatively new and all amenities we encountered were clean and well stocked with the appropriate items. We enjoyed our experience with Best Western of Gettysburg Pa.

Kerry at the front desk was an amazing help and so kind really made the experience memorable and enjoyable. The room itself was exceptional and clean. The house keeping staff was also great. Overall the staff at this hotel and the cleanliness is one of the reasons I will be coming back. The location is also fantastic with it being right next to the Gettysburg battlefield and near many places to eat.

This is a new hotel and very nicely maintained. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and the staff is helpful. The lobby is nicely decorated for he Christmas season. It is also conveniently located for visitors experiencing the Gettysburg Battlefield.

I have stayed in multiple Best Western properties in various cities around the United States. This Best Western by far tops them all. I truly believe Best Western cooperate should come to Gettysburg and take notes on how this hotel is run and kept and then send that to all other owners as a memo for when others start to update/refurbish their own hotels. It has a very modern look and feel to it; if you ever watch those TV shows where people update their homes, the end result is what it looks like, starting in the lobby, and it spreads down the halls and into the rooms. The place is very nice. The staff is super friendly. Granted I was there during the pandemic so housekeeping wasn't done, but if I walked out of my room and a staff member saw me, they were quick to ask if they could get me anything for the room (towels, garbage removal, etc.). Or if I sought someone out, they were quick to get what I needed. Breakfast was minimal, but again, that's due to the pandemic so I cannot speak to how breakfast is in normal times. When I return to Gettysburg, I will be booking this hotel. It is located near a few restaurants and stores. Parking is ample, and you can walk towards the downtown area or drive. The battlefield is practically right there too. The only suggestion I would make to the hotel staff is that if they have a large group occupying multiple rooms and the hotel is fairly empty to please keep them away from those occupying one room. The larger groups tend to congregate in all of the rooms, going from room to room, slamming doors and talking loudly until midnight. I understand keeping rooms near each for easier cleaning, but it wasn't fun listening to loud people late at night when I'm trying to sleep. That's not the hotel's fault, but maybe something to consider. For history buffs who visit the hotel, what do you think about the picture decisions in the elevator? I'm trying to figure out if it's dark humor or if someone truly didn't know what they were hanging on the walls. (Best Western staff: If you do not know what I mean, leave an email and I'll tell you.)

This hotel is well situated to visit the battleground and the town. Rooms are comfortably large. They have taken numerous precautions to make your trip safe during the Pandemic. It is one of the few hotels with inside room doors.

The Best Western Gettysburg is within walking distance of great restaurants and places to shop. It's across from the Cemetery, which is just a short walk across the street. It's very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The king room is spacious and very comfortable. Even during this pandemic, we felt safe. You could ask for new towels and toiletries every day if you wanted. Breakfast was as good as it could be!

Motel is very clean, check in went smooth was very friendly and explaining everything about how breakfast was handled and what restaurants close by we're open and closed. Rooms were very clean everything worked well.

Spent a night here in October. Great location; in walking distance to battlefield, restaurants, shops, etc. The room was large, beautiful, clean and updated. The lobby was inviting with a fireplace and tv. I will stay here again!

This was my second stay at the hotel since August and the Team at this hotel is AMAZING!!! I have to start with Brian who I spoke with prior to my arrival. I had two reservations, one using points and paying for the second. He was able to place me in a room on the top floor which I was able to stay in for my entire stay. When I arrived, Angela checked me in quickly, answered all my questions and gave me keys that were valid for the entire stay even though I had two reservations. I also what to give shout outs to Connor, Kerry and Milly at the front desk. I always got a friendly greeting when I passed the desk and they were very helpful in getting me clean towels and bathroom supplies when I needed them. It's a wonderful hotel with an exceptional team.

Decided to do a quick overnight trip to Gettysburg and picked this hotel due to the location and cleanliness. The hotel was very clean, the shower worked great, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good. My only complaint was the bed was too hard and the pillows were too soft but that just my preference. would definitely stay here again .

We decided on visiting Gettysburg after an overnight trip to the Middleburg, VA horse country as it was only a 90 minute drive and we wanted to revisit some of the regional attractions and view the Fall colors which were great this time of year. Having visited and staying in Gettysburg over the years we took the advice of a neighbor and selected the Best Western for our overnight trip. The hotel appears to be the one of the newest addition to the Gettysburg list and is located in a very convenient location on the main street adjacent to part of the battlefield. The hotel is very modern and has all of the amenities needed to include a room safe, refrigerator, etc. The lobby and our room was very clean and the staff that we encountered were friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. The complimentary breakfast was as good as can be expected with the COVID restrictions and had a large assortment of items designed to take back to our room which was reasonable and safe. There is a large self parking lot adjacent to the hotel which is well illuminated with the many light poles. There are a number of casual restaurants within walking distance that include a McDonald's and Friendly's on the least expensive end as well as pizza, Mexican, a brew pub, and other local restaurants serving a variety of food in an informal setting. There is also a Civil War themed restaurant should that be of interest to you. All in all a very pleasant overnight stay in a nice hotel with very reasonable rates and good service.

Went here with the family to see the Gettysburg National Park, which is very close by. The rooms were well furnished and very clean. The desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Some good restaurant choices close by. Would definitely recommend.

Room extremely clean, bed comfortable. Centrally located, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle walkable to all parts of town. Staff was polite. professional and knowledgeable about the local area and what was or was not going on during our stay. Breakfast even under Covid conditions was more than just a piece of fruit and muffin. We were provided with microwaveable sandwiches, oatmeal, juice and coffee as well as fruit and muffins.

We had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We were close to the battlefield and within walking distance to historic Gettysburg. Check in/check out were fast and easy. Breakfast was grab and go due to Covid but included breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, muffins, fruit, juice, coffee, yogurt, and Pop Tarts. We would definitely stay again.

This is a great place to stay. The hotel is always clean and looks fresh. The staff is helpful and friendly, Terri is awesome! I have stayed here several times and really enjoyed it. It is within walking distance of restaurants and attractions.

We stayed one week in September 2020 and would stay there again. The hotel itself felt as though it was brand-new, it was kept so clean and bright. The location to all of the local Gettysburg “haunts” (pun intended) was very good — i.e., it is very close to the historic downtown area and next to a number of the cemeteries and battlefields we wanted to visit. The pool area was well-maintained in terms of cleanliness and the amount of nice, new towels available. Of course, due to the COVID-19 situation, the breakfast service was very limited, but still quite nice, considering the situation. Hot coffee and tea were available in the lobby 24/7, which I appreciated. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating — they all seemed really grateful that we were there, which was especially pleasant.

Stayed for two nights last week as we toured the Gettysburg and Antietam battlefields. A fantastic hotel! Breakfast left a little bit to be desired, but have been told that is because of Covid-19. Highly recommended! Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

One of the best places to stay in Gettysburg. Nice pool which was very clean. The rooms were very cleaned as well. Staff seemed nice enough, didn't have much interaction honestly but that is a good thing. The breakfast in the morning was nice even during covid. Perfect location! Truly worth the money.

Love Gettysburg anyways, now I have a favorite hotel to stay at. Felt comfortable with social distancing measures taken. Breakfast items available was great! Room was clean and spacious. Will stay again!

This was our third stay. The hotel is in a great location, very convenient to all sorts of attractions . The hotel is clean and the staff are very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. LookIng forward to our next visit.

Loved this place. Large rooms. Great lighting in bath and bedroom/sitting area. Electric outlets everywhere for plugging in electronics and charging phones. Easy access to restaurants and the battlefield tours. We are very pleased staying here and will again!

The location is amazing, within walking distance of the High Water Mark and the Gettysburg National Cemetery. Despite the great reviews on Trip Advisor, I had low expectations as to the quality of the hotel, especially since it's on a main road. However, the hotel was modern, clean, staff was friendly, and the location really helped make it easy to get into town as well as drive deep into Gettysburg National Park.

This Best Western is convenient to all tourist eateries battle sites and museums. It has all the amenities I needed, was clean, and had fine employee service. I expected to pay more but was happily surprised when my wife told me what we paid. Finding a good value in a tourist town is wonderful but I would have paid more because of what I wrote above about what made me happy. I would stay here again.

We travel often, yet not so much since Covid. But if your travels take you here and you are looking for accommodations in Gettysburg look no further. They have taken so many precautionary measures to try to ensure a safe and comfortable stay. Wear face masks in lobby and at front desk. The indoor pool was open as well as the exercise room...staff wiping down areas. We had a suite, 1 room with queen and another with pull out and a queen. Plenty of room for all of us (wish it would have a 1/2 bath). Although no housekeeping, unless requested, we had no issues with getting extra towels or toiletries at the front desk or a housekeeper on the floor. Front desk personnel were so accommodating, helpful and courteous...and patient with answering all of my questions. Thank you-:). Breakfast was plentiful, although I think people expect a gourmet buffet. Grab and go is better than most and definitely above fast food places. Everything, to us, was within walking distance. We walked up the hill to hear the playing of taps- very moving and to walking distance of all restaurants. You all did an amazing job. WE WILL STAY here again, So will daughter, son and their families. Will recommend to others. Not ANY REFLECTION ON YOUR PART, just would have been a better visit had not been for Covid- and rules of “Suckylvania “

We planned a couple days get away at Gettysburg. Hotel was excellent. Due to covid 19 however we picked the wrong days . everything is closed in Gettysburg Tuesday and Wednesday. Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. Employees were very friendly. Will definitely stay there again

Beautiful property. The staff friendly and accommodating. The hotel decorations all so appropriate, friendly and warm. As I walked into the lobby the sign on the door foretold of the warmth inside this organization. The door sign taped to the glass did not remind to say. for example - Law requires face mask for entry. The Best Western staff used a picture of Abe Lincoln wearing a mask to remind all.For me, it is the little details this hotel does to welcome all. The big details I expect from a stay were clearly perfect from my arrival to my walk to my most accommodating room.

The Best Western Gettysburg is an excellent place to visit Gettysburg during this awful pandemic. It would be hard to find a more convenient location to the battlefield. You are basically at the edge of the battlefield, near the cemetery and within walking distance of the copse, the high water mark of the battle. The location is also convenient to Gettysburg itself. The hotel is only a few years old and seems out-of-the box new. We were warmly welcomed at the front desk and given enthusiastic recommendations for good local restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable. There is easy parking outside. While the hotel is convenient to the battlefield, it is also a short trip to many area places to eat. Breakfast is included in the fare. During the pandemic, it's largely grab and go, but it was ideal for our needs as we just wanted to tour the battlefield. For what it's worth, there is also a McDonald's only a block away, but I don't think that's necessary. We enjoyed our stay and would like to do so again when the pandemic is over. This is an excellent place to stay to enjoy this important and historic national park.

The hotel was very clean. The people at the front desk were so sweet and helpful. They made you feel like a friend instead of a hotel guest. The location was perfect. The pool was clean and the temp was pwrfect. I highly recommend this hotel!!!

Great location to the sites, we were visiting. Good pool and a fine staf, taking care of our needs. The key cards were easy to use. We food the breakfast good, during this Covid-19. We would visit here again.

My wife did the planning for our anniversary this year. She knows I love history, so planned a trip to Gettysburg. This hotel had lots of positives in this reviewers opinion, not the least of which was location, location, location. Overlooking the solemn battlefield, I stepped outside to watch the sunrise over the battlefield in a very moving experience. That being said, I have stayed in hotels that were 1 star and hotels that were 5+ stars. This location was definitely at the top of that scale. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. Pool was clean, warm (inside, but still February) and well stocked. Building was clean, modern and most importantly accessible to dining and historical sites. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean place and close to the action. Part of the battlefield is within waling distance. Staff was very friendly. Restaurants and shopping within waling distance. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

I would definitely recommend the Best Western Gettysburg! The rooms were beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The Front Desk staff was friendly, helpful and would go out of their way to make sure you had what you needed. Although due to the current COVID-19, the breakfast they offered was a grab n' go. They had lots to choose from but I would recommend offering more variety for the breakfast sandwiches. We loved this hotel and will only stay here on our next visit!

The room was the most spacious in which we have ever stayed. The fridge had no freezer, but was able to get cold enough to keep ice cream solid. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I wished I could take the shower home with me (great pressure!). We loved that it was w/in walking distance of so much.

Our room was very nice and the location was great. There were cute signs of Lincoln wearing a mask so we thought everyone would be following the rule. During our 2 night stay we only saw 1 person at the front desk wearing a mask. Of particular concern was every time we saw housekeeping, they were not wearing a mask.

Hotel was very clean, the front desk staff very nice, friendly and very helpful. The double rooms were huge. Truly enjoyed staying there; which is right across from the battlefields and downtown area, where there is plenty to do.

This was my first visit to this Best Western. No doubt, this is not an easy time for the hospitality industry and I was very impressed with their attention to detail re: guest safety during the COVID-19 outbreak. When I called to clarify PA state rules, Kelly was most pleasant and helpful in answering my question. Upon my stay, I found all staff I encountered to be friendly and attentive. I love the fact that once you park your car, it stays there as it's an leisurely walk down Steinwehr and Baltimore to reach downtown. This Best Western is a great value for the exceptional amenities you receive.

i had another great stay..this motel was the most clean motel i stayed at while on vacation..all the staff was great,,,,the manager nate was very nice,,,he made sure everything was fine with my room....i will be back this next spring...looking forward to it...

I was pleased with my stay at your hotel. The room was larger than I've come to expect from a newer hotel, was well laid out and comfortable. Having a refrigerator and microwave in the room, especially since my meals were mostly restaurant takeout, eaten in the room was a plus. As for possible improvements it would be nice if you had a shaded outdoors area where customers could sit in shorts and flip flops with a cold drink and just enjoy being outside. I will definitely recommend your hotel to anyone I know who is coming to Gettysburg.

Impromptu visit to Gettysburg and chose to stay here instead of our normal hotel. Very happy we did. So clean and quiet here. First floor room. Grab and go breakfast due to COVID-19 but very nice choices. Sandwiches pop tarts oatmeal juices and coffee. AC worked very well and showers are powerful. Staff very friendly. Will definitely be our new place to stay when we return. No pets.

This a newly built hotel and it shows. Clean as a whistle, comfortable, friendly staff. Pretty respectable breakfast on the go (due to covid). Can't wait to come back when things are normal again - very cool, comfortable looking third floor breakfast area with a view to the battlefield. We couldn't believe how nice the rooms were for some insanely decent prices. Spacious, well appointed, with comfortable beds and furniture. Luxury at bargain prices. And walking distance to the best shopping and eating in Gettysburg. We will absolutely be back!

Our family decided last second to book Best Western Gettysburg and so glad we did!! As always, from the reservation to the check out everything was incredible. The staff is great, courteous, and helpful. The hotel is clean and the grab-n-go breakfast was fantastic with lots of options.

Very close to great shopping and restaurants. Dowtown area is within walking distance for the average in shape person. Adjacent to the battlefields. Very clean facility. Beds are comfortable and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I stayed here during the COVID emergency. Not surprisingly, occupancy was very low. The stay was great though, they seemed to be following recommendations closely; masks were required inside, and the breakfast was grab and go, as in go back to your room to prepare and eat- no dining room area. Hotel was very clean and quiet and the staff was nice. Room had zero issues. The AC was a bit loud, but kept the room nicely regulated. My favorite part was the location. We brought our bicycles, and it was a great location to ride downtown or to the battlefield it was very close. There's no question that next time we're in town we'll be staying here again.

I had booked a three night stay to visit the battlefields and other local attractions. I had been to Gettysburg before (many times) but not at this property. I wanted to stay last time I was here in 2007 but, it wasn't open yet. Glad I was finally able to. First, the room rate was phenomenal for this quality hotel! Granted, I am a "Platinum" level member but still.... It was a fantastic rate, even for the off season. Second, the property is new, clean, well maintained, well appointed, and has every amenity you could ask for. One niggle - the access drive, from Steinwehr, is easy to miss. I would have thought a wider, more grand entrance would have been designed in. One other note, the beds seem a bit firm. I got a good night's sleep but, I would have liked a bed that's a bit softer. Loved all the available electrical outlets and USB port access around the room.....even in the front of the microwave!!!!! Loved the microwave and mini-fridge being built in to a "kitchen" area, instead of just being placed in the room as an afterthought as is the case in so many hotels. Third, and most importantly, we stayed during the COVID-19 outbreak of '20. The first two days were no problem, everything was open. One the second night, we found (after being out of news reach for the day) PA was closing down. Restaurants, museums, non-essential services, etc.... all closing at midnight. We had a bus tour scheduled, and paid for, for the third day. Mille, the evening front desk clerk, said she also worked for the tour company we were using and that they were closing also. She wasn't sure about the already scheduled tours. Even though it was after hours and she really didn't have to, she contacted her boss, at the tour company, and asked. She then relayed to us what was going on (tours cancelled and refunds were being processed). It saved us from hanging around, not sure, and calling the tour company once they opened in the morning. She saved us the hassle and the uncertainty. She then said it was OK, and understandable, if we wanted to check out early due to all the closings. That was exactly what we did and there was no issue, what-so-ever! Millie, and the Best Western, Gettysburg, handled the loss of business (through no fault of their own) with professionalism and empathy toward their guests. It is truly something I appreciated and cements my resolve to stay at this property whenever I visit Gettysburg. One last note, I would have liked to see some sort of landscaped outdoor seating area. Gettysburg is such a nice town, it would be nice to sit outside and enjoy the evening with a beverage and good company. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to such a wonderful town.

Excellent location for spending time at Gettysburg. You could easily doing walking, hiking through Military Park from here. New property so great rooms. Refrigerator compressor was loud and hot water in bath only adequate. Parking lot is a short walk, so suggest dropping off luggage first.

This was our second time coming down to Gettysburg from NH. We loved the hotel so much the first time, we came back and stayed at the Best Western again! Our second visit did not disappoint. We had a great stay. Most especially, I need to give a shout out to Jess who works in the breakfast area. She was an awesome “Good Morning” ambassador for the hotel and made our breakfast enjoyable. My son looked forward to seeing her each morning. She was very attentive to make sure we had everything we needed. Her friendly personality makes her an incredible asset to the Best Western staff. You can be sure we will be back someday.

The staff we encountered were all extremely friendly. Our room was the cleanest room we have ever stayed in. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was veryy comfortable. We will be staying here again!

Decided to stay here as the location is great - we used points for this visit- the property is relativity new - our room was a king- It was quiet for most of the stay but Fri night we could hear kids running around - we did ask to be on the ends but were rebuffed on that request- the breakfast room was on the same floor - it is a great space with a fantastic view of Cemetery Ridge - the sunrise is worth getting up for. We probably would visit again during off peak season.....

The hotel is perfect - appears fairly new, pleasant and professional staff, room clean and comfortable, GREAT location adjacent to the military park. To boot, the breakfast area is on the third floor, overlooking one corner of the battlefield. Kudos to the breakfast staff, including Jessica, who was VERY attentive and made sure we were all set. She went above and beyond, and made the breakfast staff at other locations we stayed at the rest of the week look like slackers. Only complaint about the hotel - WHAT ON EARTH IS WITH THE TINY, RCA BRAND TV'S??? Be cheap in more subtle ways, like get some off-brand chlorine for the pool!

This hotel is the best around and that is because of the great staff. I have stayed at this Best Western 4 times in the last 4 months. My son is Gettysburg College. Many times I am traveling alone and I know that when I'm there I am safe.My last stay I used some of my points to get a FREE room, and according to the corporate because I was staying an extra night I would have to check out and then check back in the next day. The staff was able to handle this process seamlessly. I did notice that there were a lot of Gettysburg College Parents staying there as well. The Breakfast room was a sea of college shirts. When I went to check out I figured I would make my reservation for my next trip. April 17 through 20. Rhonda at the front desk explained to me that I could only get a room for 3 of the 4 days and those nights were not consecutive. She then went to speak to the manager Nate who checked to see if there was any rooms at their sister hotel. I was lucky there were rooms and for all 4 days. Nate and Rhonda then proceeded to book my reservation and email my confirmation to me. This was all done while I was standing in the lobby of Best Western. Thank You Nate and Rhonda. When I got home I looked at the College website and they are having a WELCOME CLASS OF 2024 weekend.

This was our last stay at a hotel from a long trip from MA to FL and back up through AL, TN, and PA before we went back home. It was a pleasure to stay there and all the staff was friendly and helpful and the sights from the dining room upstairs were amazing. We stayed on the first floor right next to the pool. The only negative thing was there was a large group hanging out in the lobby late at night that we could hear, but that wasn't anything the hotel could do anything about. My daughter was ecstatic because their pool hours were the earliest and latest we had had at any of our hotels and she's 8 and loves to swim. The water was warm and was great for kids. There were tons of tourist materials in the front lobby that helped us make a decision on what we wanted to do in Gettysburg the following day. Overall it was a great experience and we would be happy to go back. They were the only hotel we really didn't have any problems with .. and we stayed at 6 different hotels.

My hotel experience was great! The pool was nice and the staff was courteous! I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Gettysburg. The hotel was really clean. The breakfast was great and free. When we go back to Gettysburg, I will stay at the Best Western again.

My family is usually a loyal Hampton Inn customer but when I saw a Groupon for this hotel and saw the reviews I figured we would give it a try. And we were not disappointed! The hotel is renovated and modern and up to date. The check in was easy and the front desk ladies were friendly and engaging. Everything about the hotel was clean and fresh. Our room was great - all the amenities you'd expect. Fridge and microwave and a little kitchenette area. Clean, clean, clean. Kids loved the indoor pool and I went in as well. Usually pools tend to skeeve me out but this one did not as it was clean and there was nothing gross about it. Water was warm and the kids had a blast. The complimentary breakfast rivaled the hotel's competitors, for sure! The dining area is on the third floor (maybe avoid rooms on that end of the 3rd floor as I bet it can get noisy in the mornings!) with a nice view. All the usual options one would expect and even more! For example, there were 2 waffle makers which is great to cut down on waiting time as everyone always seems to want waffles. In addition to regular waffle batter there was blueberry waffle batter. And there was an automatic pancake maker - never seen that before! All the usual breakfast amenities and I was happy they had flavored coffee creamer. The breakfast room attendants were friendly and personable. There is a little snack area you can purchase things from next to the front desk and they have the battlefield tour book and CD too. The water fountain near the lobby also has the option to fill a water bottle which I always love to find. Coffee and tea in the lobby, a computer station area, and lots of brochures. Checkout was fast and again, friendly. I can see why this hotel is top ranked...they care about the customer experience and it shows! Kids are already asking to go back.Another plus was that you can walk to a lot of attractions, shops and restaurants which was great after spending time in the car to get there and not wanting to get back in it after checking in.

Location is excellent! My son and I were able to hop on our bikes and just a few yards from the hotel we were in the National Park / off the main roads. We also walked to center square Gettysburg in the evening, and with a number of restaurants close by, can't beat the location. Breakfast was pretty typical of a chain hotel, but here you have a nice view of the sunrise over Cemetery Ridge. Staff was very nice and helpful. (We had an issue with our TV that was quickly rectified.) The pool was small, but it was a nice temperature and very clean. Would definitely return!

Front desk receptionist Kerry Kime made our stay wonderful. I initially made contact on the phone and explained what I needed for our family vacation. She was able to help me even though the Hotel was booked for the three-day Valentine weekend. Not only was she able to arrange four rooms for us but she was able to have them next to each other. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. The Hotel is across the street from the Cemetery Ridge battlefield and the National Cemetery. Breakfast was included and was well stocked including waffle and pancake machines. Kerry Kime was on duty all three days we were there and was very supportive of us.

Affordable, clean, accessible to ski resort, daughter enjoyed pool, breakfast was good, service was great, easy checkin and checkout. I used gym which wasn't bad..equipment was clean and worked well. Would definitely recommend it!

I had stayed and Best Westerns in the past, and really did not think much of them; but this hotel changed my view. It was CLEAN, friendly, very comfortable bed, quiet, and many pillowson the bed to choose from. I like a soft pillow, my husband a firm pillow. They had all degrees to choose from. The breakfast was great. No your typical free breakfast. It was a great experience, and we will plan to go there again.

Within walking distance of so much to see and do at Gettysburg. That includes some restaurants and bars too. So you can park your car and leave it at the hotel. Great view on the upper level breakfast room. Had a significant issue with other guests being loud and outrageous behavior.

We stayed because this was close to Ski Liberty and priced as very inexpensive. We were VERY impressed with the size of the king room, the cleanliness and location! This property is within walking distance of plenty of places to eat and the breakfast room overlooks one of the many battlefields. The property is modern and the staff is very friendly. We were only about fifteen minutes away from Ski LIberty but the drive through Gettysburg was worth it. I highly recommend staying here. The bed was amazingly comfortable and with the sofa we had a place to actually sit.

The hotel was extremely nice. Our room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. We were on the third floor with the breakfast room which overlooks part of the battlefield. There was plenary of parking in the rear. We would recommend everyone stay here!!

Great hotel and location. Minor tv issue, but was resolved and no complaints. Walls a little thin, but to be expected. Area quiet free from noisy traffic. Many things within a short walk, meaning a few blocks.

We had a nice time. The property was very clean, the furnishings were up to date and comfortable. We would recommend this Best Western to anyone. We had an enjoyable stay. Front desk was very helpful with any question we had. Check in and out was very easy and quick.

Everything for check in to check out was seamless. They really have a gem in Kelly Eckerd. I cannot say enough about her. I will definitely be staying with them again. :) Definitely get a 5 star review.

We were able to score a suite for a great price which helped my family have more room. We actually were booked into a handicapped room, which probably was more wide open and spacious. The pool didn't look clean when we first arrived, but we did swim in it and the water didn't seem dirty.

Located with a view of the battlefield. Wonderful walk to town. Park and walk or ride the service in town. The staff is friendly, rooms clean and quite, breakfast is wonderful. This is our second stay never disappointed.

My wife and I visit Gettysburg frequently. We have never stayed at this hotel before. After this visit we now will never stay at any other place. The staff were super friendly and helpful. This hotel is relatively new, nice appearance from the street, easy to find and get to, sufficient parking, close to the battlefield and every thing else. The room was spacious, great mattress, plenty of towels, hot water and water pressure. The hot buffet breakfast was nothing to write home about but the nice young lady who worked in the dining area made sure all items were refilled when getting low. Best Western GB presents itself nicely - the lobby & room decor is updated & fresh. Bed & pillows were comfy, & the linens felt very fresh & clean. Wondered why the breakfast room was on 3rd instead of 1st floor. then I walked in the room - what a great view of the fields across the street (which if you go to GB, you understand this). I recommend staying here ;)

My sense of the Brst Western brand was solid, no frills before staying at this facility. It way exceeded my expectations. The decor was much nicer than my previous stays in BW hotels. Room was nearly luxurious. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. I recommend trying it!

Such a lovely hotel, indoor pool perfect to burn off energy for the kids or some laps for exercise. Rooms are very nice, and very clean. Decor is modern and honestly beautifully done. Modern hotel both interior and exterior. Across the street walking distance from Gettysburg National Military Park. Staff was knowledgeable of food and dining in the area. Breakfast staff was cheerful and happy to be serving on a Holiday weekend.

I have now stayed at the Best Western Gettysburg seven times. Each time has been amazing, the staff is always friendly and rooms are always clean. Free breakfast in the morning is always a plus anywhere, and the internet is fast. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family.

Centrally located between the battlefield and downtown, the Gettysburg Best Western is a beautiful place to lodge. The continental breakfast on the third floor overlooking Cemetery Hill offers a nice birds eye view.

Very impressed with the Best Western Plus. Centrally located. Great brew pub within walking distance. Breakfast was filling. Offered eggs, sausage, pancaked, waffles and lots more. Didn't use the indoor pool, prefer a hot tub. Our only complaint was the lady at the front desk was not very personable at check in. Everything else was great.

If not for the extremely hard beds, I would give this hotel 5 stars for the quality & value. It is clean and very comfortable. It is not located in the heart of downtown but it is located within walking distance of lots of restaurants & shopping and was right on the remembrance day parade route. If you don't like a HARD bed, go to Walmart & buy a mattress topper- it helps and this is what we did for the last 3 trips to this hotel as we stayed multiple days.

Stayed here over Valentines Day and came back in November. Location is very good and the staff is both friendly and helpful. The place is immaculately clean. Breakfast is always enjoyable with an engaging staff and a beautiful view since it's on the upper level.

Best Western is in the heart of all the attractions. I have stayed there at least once a year since it opened. The entire staff is willing to go above and beyond to help any guest. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The breakfast offers more than most places. When I stay it is one of the busiest times for Gettysburg but you cannot tell. I have already booked for 2 more stays with in the next year.

This is an excellent hotel and the staff is terrific. I can't say enough good things about them. Besides being a great place to stay, the hotel is close to the hospital, gas and fast food. It is not off the square, so you are not in the downtown traffic, but it is close enough that you can drive (around 5 minutes or so) to the square and the college. If you are in town fo visit the Gettysburg National Military Park you can see the battlefield from the hotel.

Excellent hotel. This is one of the nicest hotels in Gettysburg. The room was large and beautifully decorated, the bathroom was large with a shower and tub. The breakfast area was overlooking the battlefield. We were very happy we chose this Best Western.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. It is well located and it is within walking distance of many restaurants as well as across the street from Gettysburg National Battlefield. This Best Western is in a great location if you are visiting the battlefields. It is located at the extreme right flank of the Union Army's defensive line on days 2 and 3 of the battle. It is right across the street from Cemetery Hill, Evergreen Cemetery and The National Cemetery where Lincoln gave his address. The Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and ideal for having friends from my group visit each other. My room had a couch, easy chair and rolling desk chair. Breakfast was much better than the average motel breakfast and the breakfast area was on the third floor overlooking the battlefield. I would highly recommend this Best Western to anyone traveling to Gettysburg for the Civil War experience. I will definitely stay here again.

This is the second Best Western we have stayed in. The first one was in Lancaster Pa. This one was in the heart of Gettysburg. Both Hotels were located closed to all the attractions we went to see. The Hotel was very clean and inviting. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to accomadate you. The encluded Buffet Breakfast was amazing. Besides the normal bread, bagels, cereal, eggs and bacon, there was a waffel machine and a pancake making machine to have a really nice hot breakfast with lots of fresh fruit We will stay here agian.

The hotel takes the place of an old structure where an HoJos and Value Hotels were. Brand new Gettysburg Hotel in the perfect place, located in town, near shops and restaurants as well as the battlefield. The only draw back is why they would put an indoor pool on the main street without privacy shades?

This is a clean hotel in an excellent location. Good value especially off-season. Within reasonable walking distance to downtown area and new museum and info center. Nice view of the battlefield from the breakfast area. A great place to stay!

We stayed for three nights had four adults in our room. We all slept very well. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Even the chair/ottoman in the room was comfortable. The room was very clean. In the hallway your can hear people if they are being loud in the rooms, like kids screaming but once you are in your room you couldn't hear them. All the employees were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was great. They rotated the type of eggs and offered different types of waffle batter. The view from the breakfast room is beautiful! The food was monitored and refilled quickly. The room attendants were very nice. My husband said the coffee was good. Also right now they are doing a promotion if you are a rewards member you get a free night when you stay 2 nights which was a nice surprise when we checked in.

We stayed at this hotel during a visit with family. The staff members were all very helpful and courteous. The breakfast room was well stocked and clean. Room was spacious and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

This hotel was very enjoyable with very clean, nicely furnished and appointed rooms. It was also situated within easy walking distance to several excellent eateries and historic sites, and was only a short drive to the Battlefield Visitors Center. They had very welcoming personnel and an enjoyable breakfast venue. We highly recommend this hotel to those visiting the Gettysburg Battlefield Monument!

If you want to be away from the traffic in town and enjoy the Gettysburg experience look no farther than the Best Western at Gettysburg. Close to everything but far enough away from local traffic. Walking distance to the National Cemetery and most of the third day's battle field (July 3, 1863. The Gettysburg Best Western is just a great place to stay. Super clean rooms and a great view for breakfast. Dining on the third floor over looking the battle field is a beautiful way to start your Gettysburg experience.

We were very happy with everything about this hotel right from the start. We stayed at a "Best Western Plus" 2 days prior (different state), and at a different chain hotel the previous night. The other Best Western we had stayed in was...well, I called it "Best Western Minus". The other chain's hotel was nice and we liked it fine - no problems. But this fairly new Best Western in Gettysburg (only 2 and 1/2 years old) blew us away! Great place! So glad we found it. Very nice lobby! Great location directly across the street (and a small, open field) from the National Cemetery & the famous Cemetery Ridge of the Civil War battle. While I toured the battlefield, my wife easily walked up and down the street, visiting the many shops, restaurants, museums and other points of interest that abound in easy walking distance. The breakfast room on the top instead of the bottom floor was a stroke of genius. Great view over the National Cemetery wall and the back of the battlefield. Dining room is bright and welcoming. The food bar has the standard items for a hotel chain, except that in addition to the hot eggs, waffles and sausage, you can make your own pancakes. Many side items, such as oatmeal, yogurts, fruit, cereals,bagels, toast, different juices, etc., etc. The coffee was hot & good (regular and decaf). Food was good and the young lady attendant was very friendly and helpful. She also kept the area very clean and the food stocked - no running out. Our room was top notch. It was well lit (unusual for hotels these days), and even the bathroom had good lighting (even more unusual). The room's temperature controls were responsive and easy. Very clean room, and no odd smells anywhere. Great water pressure in the shower (adjustable head), plenty of hot water, the towels were plentiful, clean, full-size & comfortable to use. Bathroom floor space was a bit small, but with only 2 of us, we managed. The room itself felt very welcoming overall, there was plenty of space, and the king bed was comfortable. Big screen HDTV with full cable lineup was also nice. We had in-room refrigerator, microwave, & multiple coffee/tea selections (with the customary condiments). Wi-Fi was plenty fast and strong - no problems. In fact, we had no problems with anything. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. We really enjoyed it.

We had always stayed at a local b&b in Gettysburg, but we wanted to try some place new, the Gettysburg Best Western was super clean they have a great staff who were very helpful, the room was super clean and so modern, comfort was A+ sweet location.

Room was clean and everyone was nice. Breakfast was ok a bit scrunched up for multiple people trying to get food at once. Furniture in the room was odd and uncomfortable. Location was close to everything and that was great.

We loved being able to walk across the street and visit the National Cemetery and battlefield. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, and we had an unobstructed view of the battlefield through our corner window.

My husband and I have been to Gettysburg many times and have stayed at many hotels but this was our first time at this one. Upon walking into the lobby, I was impressed at how clean it was. Check in was very easy and the front desk staff were very nice. We had a room on the first floor and it was very clean. Breakfast is included and there are many choices. The breakfast room is on the third floor and has a nice view of the battlefield. Also, the person running the breakfast room is very sweet and goes out of her way to assist everyone! There is always coffee and tea available in the lobby. Another great feature of this hotel is the location. You can walk to many restaurants and shops, and the National Cemetary. Since Gettysburg is one of our favorite places to visit, we can't wait to return and book another stay at this hotel!

Best Western Gettysburg is a great place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The motel is extremely clean and well maintained. The location to the visitors center and battlefield is extremely convenient.

Many previous trips to Gettysburg but decided to stay in the new Best Western in town, knowing it is the same owner of the hotel we've stayed many times before. We were delighted to find the same friendliness in the new place. We especially liked the fact that the breakfast room was on the top floor enabling us to look out onto the battlefield. They have taken great care in keeping the "feeling" of Gettysburg in choosing appropriate pictures in their decor, rather than just putting up something to match the colors of the rooms. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to everyone.

Stayed here on our first visit to Gettysburg. Super location, right across from the Military Park. Several good restaurants within walking distance and other attractions such as a gift shop right next door. Staff is excellent, room clean and quiet. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at the BW Gettysburg. It is located across the street from the battlefield. Downtown is within easy walking distance. It is a very clean, with large rooms and the standard breakfast . One of the nicest BW we've stayed in. Brian at the front desk was very helpful with recommendations and directions to the places we wanted to visit (Thank You). Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Excellent place to stay !! Great location as you can walk to most things .. friendly knowledgeable staff , free parking , quiet hotel and good hot breakfast .would we stay there again ? Heck yah and only there .if your staying there do yourself a favor a book a private tour of the battlegrounds thru the Gettysburg society .. sooo nice.. it's a one on one and they drive your car to all the key spots .. they are so knowledgeable.. it makes you feel like you are actually there . And don't forget to have dinner at Dobbins tavern pub, call and book a table upstairs .. excellent food

The best part of my stay was the breakfast. Not saying the room was bad or anything else negative about this motel, it's just that the breakfast was that good. The two ladies responsible for it, Crissy and He's, did a great job every morning we were there. And they were friendly and extremely helpful. Because of these two ladies our stay in Gettysburg and Emmitsburg got off to a great start each morning. Thank you Crissy and Jes!! You ladies rock!!

The Gettysburg Best Western always serves as my headquarters during my visits to the Gettysburg area. I probably visit Gettysburg 4 to 6 times a year. The convenient location and outstanding service are a big part of the reason I stay there. I also am always impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the hotel's staff. The entire place is always spotless and the rooms are very comfortable. I particularly like the convenient breakfast area with its many choices to start your day off right. This area is staffed by some of the nicest people you will ever meet. And, they take real pride in keeping the area absolutely spotless.

We all slept incredibly well in our room. Great beds and blackout curtains. I enjoy the location for running in the battlefield across the street in the morning and walking distance to downtown and dining. I have stayed here each time I have been to Gettysburg for these reasons. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff.

This is a brand new hotel in the heart of the Gettysburg battlefield and in walking distance of the Gettysburg address (5 minutes), and shopping and restaurant circle in the city (10 minutes walk). This hotel reminds me of a carbon copy of the Hampton Inns we usually stay at. There is an indoor pool, small gym, free breakfast, and coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby. Staff was alert but reserved. We asked for an extra blanket and it was at our door in 2 minutes! Decor is new and the hotel is spotless. The room had a coffee maker, iron, safe, refrigerator, and microwave. Overall, this is a nice quiet hotel in a perfect location.

Fabulous location- highly convenient to sights , Battlefield, shopping and restaurants. Directly across the street from Battlefields. Loved the 24/7 coffee in the lobby- lobby is clean, attractive , and nice touch to have books and games. Lobby staff very personable. Appreciated the rack of local brochures. Room was clean , spacious. Bathroom a bit tight for 2 people- bathroom door is very large and barely clears commode. Appreciated in room safe, fridge, coffee maker. Breakfast on 3rd floor convenient . Breakfast could be improved by more smiles of staff. Waffle machine malfunctions. Batter terrible. A very average breakfast that is not indicative of the overall high quality of hotel. Also, walk a bit and avoid immediately next door restaurant . A great stay here! Perfect for our needs! Will consider BW again for future!

The staff is super helpful, rooms are very nice and the hotel is located in the perfect spot to walk to all the historic sights. If you needed help finding anything in the town all you have to do is ask any of the staff and they were more than willing to help. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel because of the way I was treated and the area was very nice also.

Didn't really get to enjoy Gettysburg as I arrived later than expected but it was a nice place to come “home” to. Although a newer hotel it was well taken care of. I stay at a lot of BW's and this one was top notch

This was a great choice from our one night in Gettysburg. Our room, and the hotel, were neat and clean. The staff was welcoming and helpful from our first moment to our departure. Highly recommended if you visit Gettysburg.

First time staying here and we'll def be back! They have a small gym and a below average size pool enough to stretch your legs. Bummer they didn't have a hot tub but its not a deal breaker. The room was spacious and it included a mini fridge and microwave. The complimentary breakfast area is pretty neat. Its located on the 3rd floor over looking the battlefield. What we absolutely loved is its location between the town and the battlefield. Everything is in walking distance from a coffee shop to a cider house. Loved the fact that we could navigate around town leaving our car behind at the hotel parking.

Hotel is just across from Cemetery Hill and Ridge and just a very short stroll from Pickett's Charge. The hotel deserves it high rating with the 2 Queen Suite ideal for couples or a son who snores with pocket doors providing sleeping privacy. Only negative was a chair to accompany the sofa.

We stayed 2 nights. This property is located on the edge of the battlefield, approx 150 yards from the Brian Farm. Stayed in 2 queen room, very large, clean, beds and pillows comfortable. We did not eat breakfast here as we wanted a break from hotel free breakfasts, but had coffee in the breakfast area, located on the 3rd floor with panoramic views of the battlefield. This is a great location to stay at, would definitely stay here again.

First, I will have to admit I am a Hilton Honors member and was a bit sceptical at first of booking at the BW in Gettysburg, even tho it is fairly new. WE were BLOWN AWAY! What a nice hotel! New, clean, CLOSE TO EVERYTHING IN TOWN (i.e, walking distance), close to lots of different resturants (try the Dobbin House, built in 1776 for a great meal). The staff is friendly, helpful and mostly just great. Cannot say enough good things. You will be overlooking the battlefield while you eat breakfast! STAY HERE!

One of our favorite places to visit is Gettysburg. For the last three years we have been staying at the Best Western. It is right at the Battlefield. The town is to your left and alot of places that we went to we did not need to drive.

Our recent stay was enjoyable from beginning to end.... All on the staff were cordial, friendly and professional at all times.... The room was immaculately clean on check- in and equally so after the 1st of our 2 day stay.....Also a really good breakfast buffet and close proximity to the Gettysburg sites are additional hotel advantages.....

I love this hotel! Not only was the room huge, well appointed and extremely clean, it was in the perfect location. I was a bit worried that the hotel was not downtown. I need not have been. We walked every where from this hotel. It was across from Gettysburg National park. The view was lovely. It also was in a quieter area of town. Plus the breakfast was nice and the view was impressive!

When a hotel KNOWS that some of its rooms are going to be subject to NOISE that prevents guests from enjoying a good night's sleep, that hotel cannot ethically take a guest's money while keeping the noise problem a SECRET. This hotel did that very thing to me. A very long story made very short: I have stayed at this hotel 3 times for a total 8 or 9 days. Most recently, August 7/8/9, I was in room #233, which is directly beneath the 3rd floor breakfast room. On the mornings of the 8th, 9th, and 10th, shortly before 5 a.m., I was awakened by the walking and object-shuffling of the ever-so-nice breakfast hosts who were preparing for the 6 a.m. breakfast start. On the morning of the 10th, I asked to move to a different room, but there was not one available. I also learned that there was going to be a wedding reception in the breakfast dining room that very night, which would run from 8 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.!!! So, I got a room across the street at the Quality Inn Gettysburg Battlefield (same owners as Best Western's). How come I wasn't told of the daily 5 a.m. “alarm” for room #233, nor told of the 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. wedding reception before I was assigned room #233? In an attempt to get answers to those questions, I exchanged 3 sets of emails with Best Western's hotel's owner, Nathan Mares (a quite pleasant fellow) ... and we had a 40+ minute telephone conversation after I had returned back home. He candidly admitted that he was aware of the breakfast room noise problem that can affect guests in, not only room #233, but in rooms #235, #334, #336 and #327. According to him very, very few guests in any of these rooms have ever complained to management about breakfast-related noise. I find his claim highly implausible: I am not a light sleeper, and my wife often tells me that I have the volume too loud when watching TV. In my judgment, unless you wear removable hearing aids, if you rent room #233, you WILL awaken near 5 a.m. … whether you wanted to or not. Keeping predictable noise problems secret from guests is unethical.

very nice new facility, easy to find, close to all the historical places. nice area of town, felt very safe. good breakfast offerings, comfortable beds and pillows. thermostats to control the hvac nicer than the onboard hvac controls.

Relatively new property (still smells like fresh paint!) Great location, walking distance to restaurants, bars, National Cemetery and Cemetery Ridge. Clean rooms, friendly staff and abundant breakfast choices. We loved it!

Realizing this a newer Best Western, nevertheless it was super clean, very well maintain and fresh air, really impressive...Would have no problems recommending this Best Western to anyone coming to Gettysburg...

The location of the hotel was great for our vacation and what we wanted to see. It was NOT in town, which suited us perfectly. But it was just a few minutes walk to get to downtown where the shops and restaurants were located. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good with lots of options, hot and cold food. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again if we make another trip to Gettysburg.

Gettysburg is a tourist town and there are a lot of hotels to choose from, especially when you are visiting at a time other than peak season. The Best Western was slightly more expensive than some others we considered but it's new and has a particularly nice indoor pool and exercise room. Included breakfast was typical of a number of mid-priced chains. It was nice to be within walking distance of a couple of good restaurants in the area. We didn't choose to pay a premium for a room to “overlook the battlefield”, which is probably not worth the extra cost since you get such a view from the top floor breakfast room. There was a low-key attempt to sell us a battleground tour, but it's better to arrange this from the National Park's visitor center.

My son and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend for a soccer tournament along with the rest of our soccer team. The hotel seems to be newly renovated, very nice decor and the employee at the welcome desk was pleasant and welcoming. A few amenities they had were a pool, a small fitness center and free breakfast. They also had cable and free wi-fi. Our room was a double queen room. It was a very nice size and had a small area with counter space, a microwave and mini fridge. Overall we had a very good stay and would choose this location again if we visited Gettysburg again.

That's not ethical! *On the morning of the 11th, by accident, I had a conversation with a husband and wife who stayed the night before in the room (I don't know the #) right across from Best Western's breakfast room … thus right across from the happy and loud wedding reception that ran until after 2:30 a.m. The couple was understandably not at all happy that they, like me, had not been informed about the scheduled PARTY before they accepted – and paid for – their room. This is a nice hotel. I would stay here again. The breakfast is great and they have this neat little pancake machine and in about a minute you get 2 hot silver dollar pancakes. Just press a button. My only complaint is there are not enough blankets on the bed. I'm going through the change and the blankets don't keep me warm enough if I want the air cool.

This hotel was in a great location - right across from the battlefield. We were in walking distance of several restaurants and other historical sights and tour ticket areas. The rooms were large and comfortable and the staff was excellent. The free breakfast was delicious and they never ran out of any food items.

the staff was very nice and cheerful as i walked in. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food was good. Very easy to get to your room. One elevator but was always fast! I would very much stay here again!

Hotel is new, very clean and friendly, helpful staff. Witihin walking distance of several restaurants and shops. Nice breakfast, beautiful breakfast room, overlooking the battlefield. Attentive breakfast staff.

Hotel stay was pleasurable and conveniently located within walking distance to museums and points of view. Great service and cleanliness. Staff always helpful. When traveling again to Gettysburg, will be staying at the same hotel again.

The Best Western in Gettysburg is a newer and more modern hotel but very tastefully designed to match the historic area. Parking is close and ample I think the rooms are large and mine was clean. Even bathroom is larger. The rooms include mini fridge and microwave along with ample storage. Location is great for walking into town and even to visitors center if you're a little ambitious. Breakfast was free and had a good selection of options. The staff were all great. Overall I'd say this hotel is an excellent value for the money and offers more than expected at the rate.

Best Western's are new and improved. This facility is by far the best hotel near the Battle of Gettysburg. It is literally a 0.25-mile walk to Picket's Charge and the National Soldier's Cemetery. Plus, Tyson & Jess do a great job during the complimentary breakfast. Those ladies are wonderful with the refills and restocks, and do a great job keeping everything fresh. I would absolutely stay hear again if I returned!

I do a lot of traveling in and out of Gettysburg. I don't stay anywhere else. This hotel is fantastic! Everyone is so nice and helpful. I do suggest not coming during bike week . Its loud, but its something the town does during July. Its good revenue so they continue to do it. The breakfast room is also very nice. Tyson is the best! She is so sweet and is always in a good mood and always wants to help the guests any way she can. I absolutely recommend this hotel if you're traveling in the area.

This hotel is fairly new and the rooms are very comfortable. The great thing is that you can see the battlefield from some of the rooms and also the breakfast room. Very nice staff and the hotel is very clean!

The hotel was very clean inside and out. Beautiful lobby with modern furnishings, the staff were all very nice and helpful (we forgot toothpaste and they gave us complementary little packets!). The rooms were beautiful with a lot of storage. With the cabinets, microwave and refrigerator you could bring snacks and some small meal items and stay comfortably for a week (we plan on staying longer the next time!). Also the hotel is centrally located within walking distance to shops and restaurants (it's right next to the Train Museum). Also the complementary breakfast is on the third floor with views of the battlefield. The selection is great and room is spacious and welcoming.

We spent one night in Gettysburg on our roadtrip from DC to Niagara. The Best Western was so clean, newer and so roomy. The customer service top notch, in fact it was like we were old friends and she gave us advice on where to go. The hotel is right across from the battlefield, so location is amazing. Comfy beds and simple yet perfect breakfast. Highly recommend!

This was our third year staying at this BW.Every year has been wonderful. I would like to add that Tyson who works the breakfast is great. She made sure everything was well stocked and we were taken care of.Very pleasant.

My husband, my granddaughter and my self always stays at this hotel and loves it so much! Everyone is so friendly, rooms are so clean and feels like home and breakfast is always delicious. We have always stayed here since you guys first opened the doors to your beautiful hotel. But today on August 1,2019 we have finally ran into trouble with a employer that was not friendly at all and I'm not used to this behavior from this hotel at all. We walked into breakfast this morning and the young lady “Tyson” greeted us with a cheerful good morning how are you this morning when the other young lady “Brenda” was filling the forks not saying a word to anyone that walked thru the door. As Tyson and myself was talking about why she not working the front desk with her bubbly personality and kind heart Brenda walked passed us making smart comments on what I said to Tyson. The whole time Tyson smile never broke as she was trying to be rude to her and Tyson just kept greeting the quest that walked in and out when Brenda just stood there with a mean look on her face. She is “VERY RUDE” to the guest and her Employer she works with. I want to give the “front desk”, “house keeps” and “Tyson” a big thank you for making all the times we stayed there feel like home with a GREAT vacation to remember. Thank you best western for being awesome and the best hotel around! See you again!

Hotel is clean, bright, great location! Staff was expedient helpful & friendly. Location is perfect close to many things and parking was great! Looking forward to our next stay at this hotel! We enjoyed every minute of our time there!

very good hotel , very good location , very good staff , had a room on the first floor very quiet , nice breakfast , pool looked good , did not try it , location made it easy to walk to many attractions / restaurants / shops . very clean hotel , very clean area around the hotel .

We had a great stay at this hotel from 7/19-7/21. The staff were all wonderful and the rooms were clean and roomy. The hotel location we also very nice, near the National Park and has a view of the National Cemetery.

We had a great two night stay. The hotel is close to so many things that you can just walk to places instead of trying to find someplace to park. It was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Real eggs and sausage. They had Thomas English Muffins which are the best. The woman working the breakfast station (Tyson) greeted everyone with a happy greeting and kept everything stocked. Try the pancake pooping machine. It makes pancakes and poops them out the end onto your plate. It was super fun.

Our second stay at this location.Clean and centrally located, across from battlefield and cemetary. Can walk to some local eateries. Lobby area in comfortable. Pool and fitness area clean and well maintained.

I had a nice stay once again at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and I love the location. Our room was clean and quiet. There was plenty of parking at the back of the hotel. It was easy to find. You can walk to some of the restaurants nearby. I will stay here again when I'm back in this area.

A beautiful find in Gettysburg! The hotel was clean and bright. The room was HUGE!! 12 foot ceilings made the space feel so luxurious. Shower and bathroom were both clean and well kept; beds were comfortable, as was the couch. The room offers plenty of space and storage options. Would absolutely stay here again.

This is the third year our group has stayed at GBW and we have booked again for 2020 The staff is always friendly and helpful. If you want to book a group, call Kelly the Sales Manager, she is wonderful to work with. The breakfast room always has a good choice of options, cereal, eggs, toast, muffins, waffles, pancakes and fruit. You look out over a section of the battlefield while having breakfast. Its location at the end of the business district makes it easy to walk through town and access the stores, restaurants and other interests.

We had stayed at the old hotel at this location which was past its prime...we were so happy a new hotel has replaced it. The check in staff was very helpful and although we did not need the service we did overhear them making thoughtful food suggestions to another guest. The rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast is on the top floor which at first we thought was weird, but turns out to be an excellent decision by the architect. Breakfast was fine but the view on two sides was great! It overlooks the North end of Cemetery Ridge and the restored Ziegler's Grove and to the South the scene of Pickett's Charge. The decor in the halls and the rooms were Civil War/Gettysburg themed images which were nicely done photo paintings. Will definitely consider returning when we have more time for a visit.
