Hotel is clean, that is about the only good thing. Breakfast was terrible. The AC wouldn't cool down the room (had it on 65, never got below 77 in the room). Coffee machine was unplugged. Then they tried to charge me extra without telling me for my children staying in the room (had a 2 queen bed suite with sofa couch). Manager is rude.
1.No hot water 2.Tv barley works 3.Puts all colored people on the 3rd floor 4.Pool area disgusting not presentable flooring mildewed jacuzzi not heated plus nozzle broken 5. 7:00 front staff female nasty attitude as nasty as the flooring in the pool area by the jacuzzi 6. 7:30 front staff has her child running all around the lobby all in the suppose to be closed breakfast area by the elevator ( it's a hotel with random people coming in and out) you would think she would be more aware and protective over that little boy…he was eyeing the pool area which is dangerous a being that he was unattended and yet no one was at the counter as he ran around 7. Covers stink need changing 8. Shower curtains broke need sets of new ones Hotel rate 0. BBB will be contacted
We have a Great Time at our Yearly Reunion. You have been a Great Place to stay. I recommend it to all my friends and family
We stayed in this hotel for 1 night on our way to Sante Fe. The room was clean, bed comfortable, great shower. We had a room on the first floor, but it was very quiet. Breakfast was the typical fare for a hotel. We would definitely Italy stay here again.
No Military Discount offered even after asking loud noise all night long. The price are not what is reflected online. That is why I stopped because it looked fair. Their bathroom had no vent so it steamed up.
I always require special treatment for my motorcycle parking during my stay at any hotel and they are always accommodating making sure I'm on the first floor with a parking space with a window view from my room to keep my bike secure and I really appreciate a hot breakfast to start my day with
Good Full size luggage cart; clean room and bathroom; a/c was not on in the room on arrival, but at least it worked and started to cool the room; the bathroom stayed noticeably warm due to the a/c being off on arrival; it took many hours to cool the room and bathroom, but at least the a/c worked well; good bathroom counter space; shower has a horizontal grab bar and a no-slip bathtub mat; the towels are on racks next to the shower; there are many power outlets at the work table; the work chair raises to a proper height for typing, but lacked arm rests; I had a problem getting my laptop signed in to the WiFi; the front desk person came to the room, tried himself, and had to contact an IT person; they got the laptop signed in to the WiFi; guest laundry works well - 2 washers, 2 dryers; breakfast was okay, but the biscuits were rock hard! Not good At check in, the front desk tried to assign us to a first floor room; I told the desk that I had requested a top floor room; he said that most people wanted a first floor room, but he willingly changed the reserved room to the top floor; the a/c in the room hallway was not on, the hallway was 85 degrees!, but the desk person came up, turned it on and down and it started to cool the hallway; but, the next morning, the hallway a/c was off again and it was 85 degrees!; when the floor had multiple people, behold!, the hallway a/c was turned on, but, as soon as the floor emptied out except for us and another couple, the a/c was back off again and the hallway started getting much warmer, bordering on hot; it should not matter whether there are 2 or 2 dozen people on a floor; the hallway a/c should be on and cooling; the room mini-fridge was not cooling and had to be turned on; the room tv turns off by itself after a certain length of time and you have to turn it back on and go through the guide again to find what you were watching - how stupid is that?; no plain oatmeal packets for diabetics; the staff hovers around the breakfast area and you feel rushed; all breakfast items are gathered and put away at the breakfast end time. Overall The good issues were ruined by the very warm, bordering on hot, no a/c hallway; the penny pinching by the owner does not justify a hot hallway.
We had reservations at a hotel down the street from this hotel and decided not to stay there as the place wasn't clean. We were helped immediately at this hotel and given rooms, and the cleaning staff refilled our coffee with extra as we use more than what is typically supplied. The rooms we had were clean and everything was in good repair and functioning as it should. We will be back.
Very welcoming, place was clean and staff very friendly. Right next to a Subway and Dairy Queen and corner gas station. Located just off the highway, lots of parking for large trucks on or near property.
I had a weeklong job to do there, and this place was perfectly priced and very convenient. My wife actually stayed and enjoyed the pool. Parking is great and it is right off the Interstate. I would recommend for anyone.
The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet. The property was well kept. We were traveling through the southwest and needed a place to stay . We took a chance to stay in Colorado City and we were pleasantly surprised at the very comfortable hotel in such a small city.
Great clean rooms, friendly staff and good value for a stay in West Texas. Have stayed at this hotel three times now and every time it has been a great experience. Very consistent in the staff, service, and amenities.
Hotel was great. Room was clean and it was quiet. Bed was comfortable and had semi truck parking. There is a Dairy Queen across the street. Hotel breakfast was good lots of food options including real potatoes lol.
Very friendly staff. Breakfast is perfect to start your day. Fitness center was just right for me. Equipment was well maintained. Internet was very stable. I always enjoy my stay in Colorado City. Even when I booked my trip for the wrong dates, the staff was very helpfully to accommodate me with a very nice room
VERY CLEAN!! And welcoming. Ended up having to stay three nights during an ice storm. Microwave, fridge, coffee in room. Little “grocery” so could get something to eat and drink. Normal hotel breakfast. New coffee maker servicing lattes, espresso, etc so kept us happy with coffee. Very pleasant staff! Best part VERY CLEAN!
My husband and I always stay at Best Westerns. This place is very clean and the man who runs it is always very nice and helpful. There was a couple of issues with my room this time but overall my stay at this place is always nice.
Lodging was booked through my corporate travel agency for Oct. 19. I checked in on Oct. 19 and the manager informed me I had 2 nights reservations- Oct. 18 and Oct. 19. I informed him that was not correct, as I had lodging in Canyon City, TX on Oct. 18, 275 miles away. He acknowledged the mistake and removed the charge from my bill. Upon completion of my trip, I noticed a charge for a room on October 17 at this same hotel. I called the hotel and spoke with the same manager and he said I was billed for a no show on Oct. 17! I had lodging on Oct. 17 in Dalhart, TX, 310 miles away. He said the reservation was booked by my travel agency, but they only have record of booking for 1 night, not 3 nights! I was never informed by the manager of the Oct. 17 reservation when I checked in on the 19th. I hate getting scammed by places like this!
Overall, the Best Western franchise has stepped up its game in nearly every aspect of comfort, customer service and cleanliness. Modern, inviting, comfortable, this hotel was heads & tails above like franchises such as Holiday Inn, Residence Inn, on & on. The Front Desk was the best I've had in years.
I stayed at another chain until I could not stand it anymore. Move to Best Western and could not be happier. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Internet is good enough for me to stream on my Firestick I take with me on all my trips. Rooms are always clean and well maintained. Breakfast is good enough to get me through the morning. The price is much better than some of the larger towns.
Had an unexpected stay in Colorado City, and drove into the Best Western parking lot pretty close to midnight. They had a room available, and it was spacious and clean. The price was great, and the staff were friendly ad helpful.
Staff is courteous and the rooms are comfortable. I always ask for a memory foam pad to make the mattress not so hard and they provide one. That is going above and beyond in my book. The staff is helpful with restaurant recommendations.
Nice newer motel , owner is on premises, rooms are clean and was cooled off when I arrived. in the 90's that day , breakfast was up a little before the 6am start time which is nice for early riders, coffee was fresh and brewed
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and it's always the same. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The hotel and room is clean and in order. They continuously clean and sanitize and keep things safe. The amenities are great and breakfast is always hot and plentiful. No other option for me. This Best Western is it.
I really enjoyed my stay! This hotel is easy access from I-20, and has plenty of well-lit parking. They have a lot of tractor-trailer parking, as well. The room was comfortable, clean and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious, hot, and plentiful.
Spent a couple days in Colorado City & San Angelo, Texas. Stayed at this Hotel because we stayed here before and Loved It - and Loved It this time also. Very Quiet, Staff is the Best, Very Accommodating. Breakfast was Buffet Style and always kept Hot for you and never ran out - and was Very Tasty. It's also one of the Beautifullest Hotels you will stay at - Nicely Done.
We've stayed here several times in the last 3 months. Very nice place to stay. Only set back is the fridge had no freezer and breakfast is brought out in limited amounts, forcing you to wait. Otherwise, very nice and very clean. Will stay there again.
Nice newer hotel. Easy check-in. Room was very nice and beds comfortable. Had to call front desk to request assistance with people on the floor above us making excessive stomping noise until almost midnight. But they did address it and get it stopped almost immediately. They offered a range of items for breakfast however would only put out one or two of each item, requiring a gentleman to run back-and-forth into the kitchen for everyone's food. They did not clean or wipe down/sanitize tables in between groups of people. Groups were coming in for breakfast about 8:50 and unable to get some items because the guy running to the kitchen did not want to refill empty containers. The breakfast area closed at 9 AM and by 9:04 I could not even get a cup of coffee because the carafe was empty and he did not want to make any more even though there were at least a dozen people still in the dining room. The housekeeping staff was very pleasant and accommodating for our three night stay. Easy freeway access and parking. Near a gas station, Dairy Queen and mini market. Would definitely recommend.
My Wife and I were in Colorado City, TX with her Son Joe for a couple of days Colorado City has a population around 3,931 people and is the 426th Largest City in Texas. When you enter Colorado City they should have a sign that says; "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" because when you're around town you notice that everyone knows everyone else and they greet you with their Small Town Friendliness. We stayed at the "Best Western Plus Lonestar Inn & Suites", which is a Very Beautiful Hotel. My Wife and I LOVE the Decorations. In face she Loves the Décor all around the Hotel - it's All Absolutely Beautiful. She also wants to get the same couch, actually 3 of them, for our house. The Hotel consist of Wild Colors that go very well with each other - it does Brighten You Up just a bit. Our Room was a standard size room that you would expect and the Décor there was also Very Soft and Relaxing. The bad part was the Breakfast, due to Covid 19 the Hotel Industry is taking a hit, a really bad hit. One Hotel that we stayed at kind of solved the problem. They provided Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwiches that you heat up in the Microwave, along with the standard items for easy pickings. Hard Boiled Eggs and Yogurt would be a Plus also. The Coffee in the Breakfast area was pretty darn good for being in a Hotel, but not the packets they supply in the Rooms. All Hotels loose there - it's just very weak. We would stay there again when returning to Colorado City - the Hotel is Awesome as is the entire Staff. They All are Very Helpful, Very Clean, great to talk to and will provide whatever they can for your stay.
I came to stay one night, the person who check me in beyond rude.giving me and my family dirty looks and didn't want to give me extra shampoo/conditioner for my family. I have travel a lot and this stay has been the worst of all of the hotels I have ever stay.
I have been traveling with work for about three months now and I have to say this is the nicest hotel we have stayed at. It is the cleanest hotel I have stayed at also. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Definitely will be staying here again.
Our second visit to this Best Western. Nice hotel which is conveniently located just off the interstate. The beds are comfortable and large rooms. Nice breakfast with a variety of food/drink. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful.Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Not a bad place to stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Had coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator and flat screen tv, but the remote would not work. That was very annoying, but I was tired enough to just go to sleep without watching any shows. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The facility was clean and the staff were really friendly and efficient. They also provided a nice breakfast. Our room was pleasant, clean but the thermostat didn't seem to be working as the room was either very cold or very warm despite our efforts to set a specific temperature.
Great hotel just 90 minutes from Midland. Stayed here to avoid paying $300 a night in Midland. Very close to the highway and there are numinous restaurants that you can easily get to. The staff was awesome and their high speed internet was fantastic. Will be staying there again.
This Colorado City location is a great value with a friendly staff. Before getting to the $300 hotel rooms in Midland/Odessa; this is a great option. The motel is quiet, clean but there are not alot of restaurant options around.
We stayed here while we were putting furniture in my son's house. My son had stayed in this hotel about 30 days while his house was getting ready to move into. They were so nice and friendly. I made a mistake on how many nights we needed, we needed one more night, he was very accommodating to us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to just spend one night or several nights.
I don't have one negative thing to say about my stay at Lonestar inn and suites. The staff went over and beyond, the room was very nice and the hotel was immaculate. It was a great experience and I highly recommend this hotel.
Great Best Western in western,TX, located along I 20. Cleaning issues were addressed immediately. Manager very helpful and prompt. Very fair pricing. Nice complementary breakfast with hot food, ( eggs , sausage). I will continue to use this hotel in the future.
Was driving from Dallas to Phoenix and needed a place to sleep a little while. Was surprised to find a really nice hotel in a small town with friendly, professional service. Room was clean and tidy. I arrived late and there was Subway right in front of the hotel. Had a sandwich and good nights sleep.
This hotel is clean and very well maintained. The entire staff go out of their way to assist you in any way possible. Breakfast is always hot and ready to serve with no waiting. A top notch organization.
This is a fairly new hotel which is conveniently located just off the interstate. The beds are comfortable and large rooms. Nice breakfast with a variety. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is fairly new, and could be really nice, the rooms are big and comfortable. However, the common areas are not cleaned well (see along the walls and doorways in the halls, and the elevator tracks for examples). There is a free breakfast, but it also needs help .. coffee did not have a coffee smell or taste, (they should change brands or clean the equipment or whatever it takes). The cost of the stay was about 50% higher then in Abilene .. I understand this since Colorado City is kind of in the middle of nowhere. So, in summary; management/owner take notice and return the property to a place of pride.
BW Plus Inn & Suites was a wonderful experience. Elegant and clean and comfortable room. Staff was top notch. Run by A.J. and his wife, Manisha. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and well presented.
Was passing through and stayed for only one night but this appears to be a very new, clean hotel. My room was very comfortable and roomy. Breakfast was very good. Staff was nice. Will stay here again if ever through this way in the future.
A new hotel with affordable prices and comfortable rooms. The check in was quick and all amenities were good. My only complaint is I had to write a minimum of two hundred characters to submit this review.
Everything was PERFECT aside from wifi a bit slow (512 kbps on my speed test). Other hotels in the areas were significantly more expensive. This facility is modern and updated. Rooms are clean. Staff was friendly. This may be the best hotel stay I've ever had. We were very happy.
Arrived late & tired, I was told by the guy at the reception desk that my reservation, I made by phone with Best Western hrs. Earlier was for a 1st floor room by the elevator???? So for a quiet room I had to pay a little more. HUH, I have traveled all over the world & never heard that one! The TV didn't work, had to get another remote control. Also WiFi didn't work in this higher priced room. It worked on the elevator & lobby. Gave up on internet, I was very tired from a very long drive. Bathroom needed a little TLC. Room was fine. I was surprised that the manager would argue that the WiFi worked in all the rooms around mine. He needs a course in Customer Service, you don't argue with the customer. He ask me how my stay was & I told him, yet he argued with me that the WiFi worked ?? Breakfast was typical of all the roadside inns, blah. Too many hotels on I-10, I will probably pass this one up next time. All the other Best Western hotels were good on my cross country trip.
The best there is and then some, wonderful. Gentlemen at front desk went far and beyond for us. Helped us with computer, and accessing our e-mail. Took lots of unnecessary stress off of us. Can't say enough about how great he was. Beautiful, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Made our stay exceptional. Thank you for all your services again. Much appreciated; God Bless you all...May you have a wonderful holiday & a Happy New Year. Will defininately stay with you again in our future travels.
Hotel was still new and everything was at ease. Nice workers. Room was comfy and enjoyable. Everything was good but breakfast wasn't that great. The eggs had liquid sitting at the bottom of the pan shouldn't be there. It tasted like wet eggs. That needs to be improved. Need more yogurt in the little refrig. The price was higher than the other hotels around.
Service, hotel stay , rooms, breakfast were all excellent. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recommend it. I will stay here again for future trips to Colorado City Texas. This was my first stay at a Best Western and I was impressed.
Very nice new hotel. The problem was the pool was disgusting caked in algae and smelled horrible. Informed front desk and received subpar response. Rooms were very clean and comfortable beds. Not being able to use pool ruined the stay for me and the family.
Never looked forward to staying in a hotel in Colorado City Tx but now I have my favorite location as far as a hotel. When we pulled up at 9pm after a 5 hour drive we were exhausted. The BW was brand new outside and inside. ( 8 months old) The staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean and decorated. The rooms were inviting and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner was amazing and it was 100 plus outside. There was a small pool outside by our room but the building was well insulated and couldn't here the kids outside swimming and jumping. The breakfast had everything you would hope for except bacon but did have Texas waffles. The staff allowed us a late checkout. I would give this hotel a 10 out of 10.
This has been the best experience in a motel that I have had in years. The employees go out of their way to help. The entire hotel is spotless, and their breakfast is amazing. Will go there whenever we are in the area.
This is a good stopping point along our Spring Break trip. The town has several new hotels to choose from. This hotel is owned/managed by a very attentive family with a long history in the local hotel business. The room was nicely done. Breakfast was adequate for travel. The desk clerk recognized my sister's voice from when she made the reservations weeks before. That doesn't happen often. It was a good stay.
A great place to stop and we would definitely stay here again The staff opened the dining area to our group when we returned early from a family gathering. It was much appreciated. This was the type of service we wish all hotels offered. We would definitely stay here again!
Great hotel. Very clean and new. I would definitely stay there again. Only sucky part is shower pressure and the towels are super rough. But those are not deal breakers at all. Great experience! No complaints
Wifi was fantastic. Staff was very polite and helpful. This is a family run establishment and their kids were there helping as well. Very professional. Towels available at pool. Pool was fun, it had colored lights in the pool that changed, the kids got a kick out of that. Breakfast items could have been better quality. I would stay again.
New hotel, clean, nice staff, small outdoor pool, pet friendly, plenty of parking and quiet. Would not hesitate to stay there again if I am in Colorado City, Texas! Speedy check in and check out. Staff was very friendly!
Upon arrival, there was plenty of parking. This hotel is only six months old. It took all of two minutes for the front desk manager to check me into my room. I asked if this property had USA Today newspapers for the guests. I was informed that there were no newspapers available because there was a reliable delivery issue to such a small town. But the front desk manager stated that he would see to it that a newspaper was obtained somewhere in the area and given to me in the morning. I thought to myself, "Yeah, right." When I got to my room, I found it to be clean and quiet. In the morning, I used the on-site exercise facility. All the equipment worked well. After taking a shower, I went to the breakfast room at 8:45 a.m. A lady come over to me while I was eating and asked if I was the person who wanted a newspaper. I replied in the affirmative, and she handed me a current USA Today newspaper. To say the least, I was amazed that the management would go out of its way to do this task for me. The lady also said I could take my time with breakfast, even though it was suppose to close at 9:00 a.m. I ate a hearty full meal and finished at 9:30 a.m. The check out took about one minute. Being a Best Western diamond elite member, having stayed over 700 times at various Best Western properties, I gladly gave this hotel a perfect (and rare) 10 out of 10 rating in my review of it to Best Western corporate. This hotel is run by a family who try to excel in their relationship with their guests. I wish them the best, and highly recommend the Best Western Plus Lonestar Inn & Suites located in Colorado City, Texas.
Fairly new hotel with lots of potential for the area. However, they are cutting corners and compromising quality. Unpleasant smell in elevator and halls. Air conditioning did not appear to be on in lobby or hallways. Upon returning to the room later in the day, it was discovered staff had turned the air conditioner off and the room temp was in the 80's. A bug, hair and stained linens were found in a bed as well as dirty spill marks on the bathroom floor. Breakfast was minimal. Sausage, biscuits and eggs were cold, pastry was stale and coffee was the equivalent of lightly colored water. Hoping more attention to detail will be given so this location will thrive.
Hotel and owner very nice and helpful they go out of there way to assist you rooms very clean breakfast was great only bad thing is there is no delivery food in area Pizza Hut no delivery had to walk for dinner but needed the exercise anyway
This hotel was clean and new. It has only been open for a few months. It has a traditional breakfast; muffins, Texas waffle, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, fresh apples, and bananas. The managers were friendly and helpful. We arrived late and they let us park our moving truck with car trailer on the property at the end.
This is a very beautiful new Best Western but it has one draw back, it is in the middle of nowhere. The staff was very freindly, professional and accomodating. The Hotel opened only about 5month ago and everything still smells new. BUT there is nothing to do in that small town and there are no decent restaurants. One lonely grocery store and the best place to eat for us was at the Subway in a Gas Station near by. But the hotel is absolutely beautiful
This brand new Best Western Plus is flawless and $72 a night. The staff is attentive, professional, and truly make you feel welcome. Great breakfast, great room, great price. Spread the word. The hotel didn't have many people, and I want to make sure it does well because I will go there every time instead of paying twice that price in Abilene or the Permian Basin when I travel in West Texas.
Stayed here on trip to Colorado City. It is where I grew up and went back to visit friends and spend leisure weekend away from home. Motel was very clean and personnel working at motel were very courteous and made our stay very good. Motel was reasonably priced and breakfast was great with many choices. Will definitely stay here again.
I was so impressed and excited about having such a wonderful place to stay in such a small town. My experience was 5 star! No competition in the vicinity. Often, staying in small towns, I have to do without my workout, but this facility did not disappoint. Additionally, the staff was over the top and genuinely interested in my satisfaction.
very clean and very new ! pet friendly a plus! bed was great nice and firm . The dining room decor was a bit too shiny for me mirror and metallics but the dining area itself was spacious and they had a lovely continental breakfast.
I had a great experience with the Best Western from the booking to the end. The handicapped room was large and very accessible. Staff was warm and welcoming. The manager even remembered my voice from me calling and making the reservations. The breakfast was a bit sparse for a Best Western Plus but the accommodations made up for it. I will definitely consider staying here again.
Hotel was a welcome sight on a long road trip. Hotel was new and all of the beds, linens and bath towels were great. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
We were in town for a family funeral & not a leisure trip. The staff was very helpful but did not seem to know area very well. This particular location was opened 4 months ago & seemed to be doing quite well. Our room was nice & it had everything we needed.
New, clean and nice bright colours Just off the interstate Modern amenities, wifi, breakfast, laundry Reasonably priced Reception desk person was friendly & helpful Quiet, although there were a number of rooms unoccupied Highly recommend stopping there
Brand new Best Western on I20 - great rooms, easy access, exceptionally clean and a better than average breakfast. 40+ inch TV's, great king beds - lots of room in the suites! Fitness center, pool and laundry facilities. Ask for AJ tour - he's a great host!
