Best Western Auburndale Inn & Suites

We enjoyed a short weekend to attend PolyCon at Fl Polytech University…about ten minutes drive from Best Wetern, Auburndale. Check-in was a breeze, friendly, professional, helpful staff, suite was spacious, comfortable king bed and soda bed. We liked the unexpected participation between BR and LR…made for privacy. This our favorite stay when visiting our student attending FL Poly.

BW Auburndale is located close to food stores, auto repair shops, I needed repairs done to my car, I only need to drive 60 seconds to find a repair shop. Overall my stay was great, it would be nice to have real eggs, not egg mix. Was not able to use the gym or pool.

it was good. But pillows are uncomfortable. Breakfast does not offer many varieties of options. it is needed to provide more services to the people like pool, vendor machines for beverages and food and directions for restaurants around the area

There were multiple bug found in my room. Very strange artwork. Breakfast food was low quality and on the bring of expiration. I would not recommend this establishment or anything under under Auberndale Hotel LLC to anyone.

good place to stay and relax very quite, the staff are nice, very clean, they offer breakfast, the parking is so easy and free, about 16 mins to legoland theme park, they have an out door swimming pool.

This hotel is fine, not great. I had a good experience with all the people I interacted with. There is a good breakfast with hot items including make-your-own waffles. The room was mostly comfortable. The sleeper sofa needs repairs or replacing.

At roughly $140 a night, I have been in a lot nicer hotels. It was a place to stay close to family. ANTS are a big problem in the rooms. Pool & breakfast was good just wished there was a little more to choose from or mix options up more.

We have stayed here several times for local sporting events and the staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. My son loves breakfast in the morning, but there are other good restaurants close by. We'll definitely be back!

Kim the front desk manager was extremely helpful with our reservations and accommodation. Thanks to her making our reservations easy, and her being so helpful, Best Western has become our Hotel of choice

Always clean always comfortable with very professional and helpful staff. Breakfast could use a little help but it's edible. Coffee is always ready in the morning and the hotel is convenient to my work location

The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was wonderful. The desk personal were professional and understanding, easy to talk to and friendly... The breakfast environment was wonderful as well as the server.

From check in to check out the stay was excellent. Kim at check in was very friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and it was quiet. The building is well maintained. This is a great motel for the money in Auburndale.

The staff was very professional and accommodating especially the hotel reception Kim. The hotel lobby, conference room and our King Suite were very clean and spacious. The breakfast was included--the waffles were delicious and the selection was varied--the attendant Candy was very accommodating in providing hard boiled eggs as we did not prefer the scrambled eggs a bit salty. We enjoyed the heated pool at night, we would have preferred a hot tub in the premises. The cost for the room was discounted by signing up with Best Western Rewards. The hotel ice machines were not working properly. Another issue was not being able to get any discount tickets to area attractions.

The night staff was rude but the manager was great and she went above and beyond for us. The pull out couch broke while my 5-year-old was sitting on it and the hotel could not fix it but offered us a cot and a pack-n-play instead. The bathroom also had someone elses hair in the tub and the sink had ants all around it.

The power went out which made my family and I miss part of an event that we were specifically in town for. It was too dark in our room to see anything & elevators didn't work (3rd floor). We asked for a discount on your room as a result and Cecila, hotel staff who lives locally, said that she would have left the hotel & gone to her house (that has power) to get dressed, so she doesn't think the manager will consider discounting the room for one night (huh, what???) When speaking with another hotel staff, earler, I was told that the manager, Jennifer Mendez, NEVER gives discounts in consideration for ANYTHING, it doesn't matter what, so no need to ask (huh,what???). Jennifer was out that day, so I was told to call back for her and given a time. Jennifer would not come to the phone to have a conversation with me. She kept passing the buck. I will NEVER stay here again. I can pay the same rate elsewhere and get some decent customer service. For a manager to avoid speaking with a customer blew my mind.

We were looking for a hotel with breakfast close to Legoland. This hotel was above our expectations! We were about a 15 minute drive to Legoland. The breakfast was great and the eating area was large enough for the hotel guests.

We were looking for a decent place to stay that put us close to Lake Myrtle Sports Complex. We found this location to provide exactly what we were looking for. It was only a 6-7 minute drive one way and as we had to go back and forth multiple times over the course of a weekend, this location provided convenience. It was also helpful that it included a decent complimentary breakfast! Kim at the front desk was pleasant and helpful with providing area events to attend for when we weren't at the field. Overall it was a good experience.

The only glitch was that the refrigerator wasn't working right, but after calling the front desk about it, they replaced it with a new one very quickly. Everything else was perfectly fine, clean room, clean bathroom etc. The breakfast was actually pretty good too!

All hotel amenities were as expected or better. Check in was quick, gracious, and welcoming. The bed was on the firm side but the ample pillows and comfortable linens were a delight. In-room bathroom was spotless and provided a comfortable massage shower. On-site breakfast was adequate and appreciated.

Customer Service was so great. KIM was the best front desk associate. She was so nice and pleasant. I run into a problem with checking in and she did everything in her power to to help me. It was very much appreciated.

One of the best experiences I had staying at a hotel. Stayed at another hotel which turned out to be an extremely poor experience, left there and stayed here. I told the front desk, who's name is Kim of my situation and she immediately turned things around by offering an upgraded room at no extra cost. She was extremely friendly, the room was great. Would definitely stay here again.

This is one of the best best westerns I've stayed at, always clean, friendly staff, breakfast is even pretty good for a hotel breakfast, I can't say anything really negative about it at all honestly.

Very nice suite was awesome never had a hotel bed so comfortable very clean and a good breakfast bar staff went above and beyond to help find available food/restaurant on a holiday night quiet no noise could be heard through the walls

This hotel was suppose to be a nonsmoking hotel and it smelled like smoke. I travel all over and stay at many hotel brands and this hotel was not taken care of very well. I will have to say the front staff was polite and helpful.

I try to stay at BW if we get bad weather because I live in a mobile home. It is very clean!! They always make sure there is fresh coffee! The beds are very comfortable!! Front desk staff are great!! Thank you Best Western staff for all you do to make your guests feel at home. Great Place!!

It was a good experience staying at the Best Western Auburndale Inn & Suites. The hotel is clean with all the amenities. It is located at an excellent location. Easy access to restaurants, Walmart, barbershops and other business. The hospitality was nothing but outstanding. The receptionist Kim, does a great job. She is very professional, friendly, kind, helpful. I recommend this hotel and I would be happy to stay here again.

Was overpriced. Older hotel, rooms smelt like heavy duty leaner. . We couldn't eat the contental breakfast, (went to McDonald's instead)and they didn't come and clean or change towels for 3 three day stay.

I had a problem with my original reservation due to huracan Ian and they move it for next week with no penalty. Clean rooms, delicious breakfast and great location. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Love this place very clean ,staff very nice . Breakfast was great. Location was good close to a lot of business. Price was good close to everything. I sleep very good bed was comfortable. I was on the last floor very good choice. I don't hear step on top or kids running.

Breakfast was good if you got there in time. Hours are 6-9 on week days. By 845 most stuff is gone which is understandable. The bathrooms were newly renovated with walk in showers and sliding doors. They are tough as they withstood my 3 year old trying to slam them. When in the bathroom you do hear the running water of other rooms. Not a big deal just unexpected. They were redoing the lobby and floors at the time of our stay. The pool was clean. The work out room had some left over trash it. We didn't use it. Just something I observed. Overall we would stay here again. It was close to many fast food places. The fridge was a good size. Turn down service is limited unless requested. The front desk didn't seem to communicate well with the cleaner staff as we had to ask the cleaning staff to clean the room. They weren't aware of it being on their list to clean.

I guess they were renovating when we were there July 2022 so there was plastic on the floors in the hallway and the room smelled exactly like a dirty vacuum bag. We tried turning on the AC but literally nothing helped. The staff was nice but I heard them put others on a different floor why did we have to be put right in the middle of the construction.

Hotel is currently under construction so lots of dust and debris. The room had a musty smell. My ice bucket had water left in it from the previous guest and ants in the bathroom. I choose not to partake of breakfast as everything had dust on it.

We had no elevator, hot water .We were breathing in dust had to listen to nonstop drilling . My wife and I are both handicap we had to walk all around just to go in and out . The only thing good about it is the staff .

I feel like this place would be good if there wasn't such heavy construction. If we had been told about it ahead of time I would have chosen another place to stay but since we were not, my son's asthma started acting up from all of the dust.

Construction was happening. The only morning that the construction made noise was on our checkout day. I felt sorry for the clerk on the front desk. I don't think I could have taken the noise from the floor tile being removed. It was very noisy.

The rooms were recently remodeled, very spacious and extremely clean. The pool is heated, so the kids were able to enjoy it until night time. The staff was very friendly and resourceful. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next visit to Legoland.

Place is under renovation. Some noise during the day. At night all quiet. Place is spotless. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Front desk was well informed and willing to help the customer. I would stay again.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was very maintained. My room was clean and also serviced. The food was amazing not your typical stale pastries. The staff was very efficient and helpful. I would like to recognize Jennifer the GM who checked into make sure everything was up to par. The housekeeper Sharon, the breakfast lady Tara and Kim the evening clerk all did a fantastic job!

A decent place for the night, nothing fancy. The rooms are large and mostly clean (sofa was questionable). Service was friendly and the free breakfast was good (waffles, eggs, French toast, ham, assorted cereals, fruit, etc.. The property is under renovation, but it didn't bother us.

The hotel was renovating but they didn't disrupt the guests. One issue we had was that our room was never cleaned. We stayed from Fri-Tue even though we left the sign on the door it was never cleaned and we had to get more towels and toilet paper on our own. My adult daughter wanted to purchase items from the "pantry" in the lobby but was told she couldn't pay cash ( even though there was a sign saying they accept cash, debit or charge to the room. I had actually bought water the night before in cash with no issues.

Hotel under construction food not good for breakfast not much out said it was close to Lego land but was not worse time I've had at a best western an probably the highest bill never using this one again

Clean, quiet room, nice warm breakfast with lots of options. Very friendly staff. John checked me in at the front desk and was very friendly and courteous! Looking forward to staying there again! Thanks!

They are in the process of finishing up remodeling. The third and fourth floor are finished. The room was spotless the bathroom brand new walk-in shower. Room 218 was perfect. The breakfast needs to be upgraded. Definitely not quality. But it would fill someone's stomach. The coffee in the lobby 24 seven was very good and handy.

Great hotel take the family we have stayed twice now and will book another trip in the future. The heated pool is awesome. There employees are always friendly and if you have any issue they are extremely helpful.

Wonderfully hotel! Nice, clean rooms, gorgeous new bathrooms. Super friendly and professional staff. We (a family of 5) stayed here for our trip to Lego land, it's about 20 minutes from the park but definitely worth it. We stayed in the king suite which was perfect for us. I will admit though the mattress on the pull out was in dire need of replacement, but my kids didn't mind. It was clean, just worn out. The free breakfast that was offered was also great and so was the lady who was working in it.

Toilet would not flush reported to front desk but there was no urgency or Maintenance on site. I booked for 2 days and checked out early to due to the customer service and not being reached out to and try to remedy the problem. I would not stay or recommend to stay again.

I have enjoyed Auburndale Best Western since the paint was hardly dry. BW has served Auburndale as the only midtown hotel. I've never been disappointed. The staff, notably Kim are pleasant and professional. Of recent our stay on the 3rd floor boasted an impressively renovated marble bathroom. (Nice to see the updates)

Check in and out was smooth and easy. Dot was a delight. After working a 14 hour day I was ready to pass out. There were children running above me, I called the front desk and they took care of it immediately. Because it wasn't my house I could hear every sound and there was a weird humm sound but I got through it. The room was very clean and nice. Beds were fairly comfortable as I sleep on a gel mattress. Great breakfast selection for sure! We would stay again. I thought they price was a little high for being in the middle of no where.

Even though the end of my stay was nothing to be proud of Kim made my check in and my stay welcoming. I will more then likely come back if I am welcome to. Relaxing and peaceful place to go to for a few days.

The hotel should NOT be taking bookings because it is under renovation. My room had a leaking ac unit that made the carpet around it soaked and the whole room smelled terrible. I complained and asked to change but it was not possible. My bathroom sink was leaking. The second flyer has bookings and was under construction. I'm sure once it is finished it will be great.

Had an amazing time and what made it all possible was Kim at the front desk! She went above and beyond. Will definitely come back. Breakfast was a good variety. I have no complaints about my visit. Again, Best front desk clerk ever!

We rented two rooms. Both had a musty odor upon arrival. The shower did not drain in one of the rooms. They called the desk and was told they would send up a plunger. They dropped it off and my granddaughter had to clear the tub blockage. Sure thought the person that brought up the plunger would have used it. The Air Conditioner worked fine in one room but the other room it would not get below 80. Made the room too hot for comfortable sleeping. The breakfast room also had no air conditioning. Made for a very uncomfortable breakfast. The price we paid was much too high for what we got. Very, Very disappointed.

My room was sown a floor where they were working on the other rooms. It was dusty and noisy. Should have been on another floor. Usually a good place to stay. There was a different lady at the desk and she was not very nice.

Everything about our stay was excellent! We travel with our competitive soccer club A LOT and this by far was the best! The staff was AMAZING and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We look forward to our next stay!

Not what we expected at all!!!! No elevator the entire stay with our room being on the third floor with a baby, stroller and luggage. Room service was not done after spending the day out. Its done “every 3 days or upon request.” Renovations were also being done on the top floor, which disrupted the water and had dusty hallways and stairwells. And the worst part of all was the carpet inside of the room…it was soo dirty that you needed your shoes on at all times!! We couldn't let our baby run around in socks bcs they were black within minutes!! Very nasty!! As far as the breakfast….very basic but i would never complain about complementary food so it was ok. Pool was probably the only nice thing about our stay, clean and warm. Staff was friendly. If we would of came a different time of the year the best we would rate this stay is 3 stars. However, we would not stay here again!

The bed was uncomfortable, hard as a rock, pillows uncomfortable and the shower grout was nasty. I heard there was breakfast served but didn't partake. The hallways were smelly. Would not stay here again.

Everyone was great and accommodating. Breakfast was a nice touch every mornimg.. the stay was clean and nice and reasonably priced. Everything was wonderful and we really enjoyed it. Even the laundry was convenient.

At over $300/night, I got a musty, dark, dated room with worn out and broken furnishings and roaches in the bathroom. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the bed was comfortable enough. I will not be returning to this hotel.

A dark and tired hotel with run-down furniture, worn furnishings, and cockroaches in the bathroom. The desk chair's pneumatic height adjustment was worn out and the apholstery was torn. I had to place three pillows on the chair to get high enough to reach my keypad. The bed was comfortable enough. I'll be back in the area in a few weeks to finish the project I was working on. I will not be staying at this hotel. I can't believe we paid over $300/night for this place!

Nice clean and spacious living space . Courteous and helpful Staff. The location was also very convenient in regards to food,stores and shops. Perfect place if you're staying for a few nights in order to participate in tournament play at the local park.

This stay was eventful but with the staff taking care of things with compassion & grace. The staff had a stressful situation & handled it as if it was part of their family. I have been here many times & this time it showed me they have become family, in my eyes.

Very comfortable and the staff was very nice. Would definitely stay again, not during bike week lol. The family and I visited during a very busy season. It was bike week and baseball tournaments. The staff tried to make the visit very pleasurable.

Jennifer at your front desk was amazing. She is super friendly, has a great sense of humor and went out of her way to answer our questions and give suggestions when asked. I think she wound up pulling a double shift that day but was still as happy and bubbly when we saw her at night as she was in the morning.

Customer Service Excellent, our room has a particular odor, the room was cleaned but didn't smell good, hotel not too close to Legoland like we expected, a little expensive the hotel to area that is located.

Always a great stay at this Best Western, a bit pricey but nice place, this is the only place I stay when I go to Auburndale. They have a great breakfast and always coffee. The rooms are nice size and very clean.

The stay was pleasant, breakfast was good they had a good variety of food. Weight room was excellent. Pool was also very nice. Customer service was very good. Our room was a little dingy. The shower rod was loose on the wall. Cleanliness was good but the color scheme was drab, browns, yellow, and gray. Not what I would expect from a Florida hotel. Overall experience was good and I would stay there again.

First off let me say that Carolyn at the front desk is honestly the best! I'm a very frequent guest here at the hotel and every time she's at the front desk just makes my day better. She always greets me right away and by my first name. I've never had anyone do that before. She always asks how my day is and if I need anything. So hats off to her she's super friendly and personable. So best customer service I've ever had from a hotel. And the hotel is great right where you need it and quick drive to things. Will keep staying here for sure!

Front desk was very nice & helpful, room was clean but biggest problem was bathroom. Bathtub seemed unsafe. The floor of the tub was not supported as it should have been…more like it was installed by an inexperienced do it yourself. Every time your feet moved the tub floor seemed to flex and made a creaking noise.

I needed a motel quickly due to a bad situation. I did not know how many days I would need. The morning front desk personnel were excellent , working with my unknown. The one problem was the initial check in. He had attitude and I was stressed enough without his questions! The facilities were great. Everything was sparkling. Breakfast was worth getting up for. On checkout, I wanted a grab and go bag ( the sign was at the front desk) but was told they didn't do that any more. Not the way to start my trip back home.

Hotel is well maintained and staff is friendly and helpful. We had two one night stays and hotel is in a very convenient area for shopping and restaurants. We were only stopping while passing on the way from the auto train to south Florida.

I have to say this was one of the best hotel stays I have had in awhile. The room was fantastic the staff warm and energetic. Could not have asked for better stay. I did not partake in the breakfast but the bacon smelled amazing

Excellent hotel. Heated pool. All staff is wonderful. Very clean great rooms the pools is super clean and so warm it is like taking a bath. Great coffee and breakfast. Can't say enough about the suite we stayed in very large with excellent bed.

It was awesome. I had to stay 3 days 2 nights due to my house being fumigated. The breakfast was yummy, they had a lot of options, pancakes waffles sausage eggs, omelets and alot more too. It was quiet. The only thing I didn't like, the beds were not comfortable.

This hotel is clean. The staff is professional, respectful, and helpful to say the least. Ms. Lis helped me by guiding me to a very good restaurant near the hotel. My stay was wonderful, I take getaways for 2-3 several times a year. This hotel allows me to stay close to home but feel a world away. This hotel is my honeycomb hideout. I can eat healthy as the breakfast has fresh fruit. I can swim all year round because the pool is heated. I can also exercise using the gym that is well equipped

The staff was amazing. Ms. Lis helped me tremendously. Ms. Kim was extremely helpful with helping me find places to eat. Will stay every time I am in town. The front desk and housekeeping staff were amazing. The breakfast was top notch.

Team at this hotel was extremely helpful attentive and provided a great stay. The pool was heated and the breakfast was hot and had plenty of options for all eating habits. Beds were comfortable and room was very clean and had plenty of towels.

My parents use to stay when they come to town. Since we were moving we needed a place to stay for the night. We decided to stay at the Best Western. It was clean and quiet staff is great. I would definitely refer this Best Western to anyone visiting that area.

Front desk staff was very friendly and courteous. Check in/out was easy and the room was clean. We were visiting family in the area, so we didn't take advantage of the breakfast or any other amenities, but the hotel was very nice overall.

The staff and rooms were all very clean and courteous, even though the price is a little over price in my opinion, but as far as the hotel itself, excellent service and awesome staff! Everyone from Abby the Hotel associate she was 100% awesome in everything, she was very understanding and helpful, I'd give her 10 STARS ⭐️ For her exceptional service and professional service.

I have stayed in many hotels from five star down to Mom and Pop Hotels. This place has THE BEST breakfast and staff! Roberto I think his name was went above and way beyond his job and we will be back again. He always has a welcoming and humbleness about him. He always is busy but not to busy to greet each and everyone who enters in the morning. The TV is a little loud but over all this place is amazing and even better are the staff. We can't thank you guys enough for making us feel at home. Oh, I almost forgot to mention how knowledgeable he is about the area and local activities, his recommendations were very helpful and appreciated. If your ever in the area, please stop by and say hi. This guy definitely deserves a raise or something. I could go on all day. Best stay in the WORLD!

I was there for only one night, I went to the complementary breakfast and tried to make my first waffle on the waffle iron and boy did I make a mess, but thank God Charlie the grey hair lady in charge of the morning breakfast came to my rescue, I can still remember her words With a big smile Don't worry sweetheart I'll take care of that and in a few minutes she cleaned my mess and showed me waffle making 101. The hotel room was very clean and presentable. The personnel at the front desk, in the breakfast area, and in housekeeping were friendly and kind. I felt that each member of the staff wanted me to enjoy my stay.

The location is excellent, just a 7 min drive to the Soccer Complex which was the reason for our trip. It is an older building and the room smells a little stuffy. The AC unit in the room was very loud making it a bit hard to fall asleep. I wish there was better ventilation. Breakfast was excellent and I really appreciated the kindness of the lady in charge of breakfast. We had to check out very early for a game and, she was very friendly and agreed to let us grab some breakfast to go before opening time.

Rooms were musty and the fridge did not work but I understand they did there best. But the handy man who works there named kodi made it worth it. He truly gave my family and i great customer service, he sets the standard for excellent service and I will be returning thanks to his efforts to make sure we were comfortable and well attended.

We were surprised that this hotel had all the amenities hotels used to have, including coffee makers and lavish hot breakfasts with ice cold orange juice, delicious hot coffee and hot food. Lots of attention to detail and the feel of being welcome. It felt like a high end hotel but at a modest price. Rooms were super clean. I really enjoyed my stay and have already recommended to a couple friends.

I found our stay very nice. Room and hotel were clean and the employees were all very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good with eggs, sausage, bagels, cereals, juice, etc. Highly recommend this hotel

Wendy is very customer orientated . Needed extended check. I suffer from migraines and it takes mire time sometimes for medicine to take effect . I was told no last time . I was going to complain but I was in too much pain and got to busy . Asked for it again told Wendy what happen last time and she made sure I got the extended time . Thanks Wendy !!!

Was treated well from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was good, really like the waffles. Loved the front desk staff. Easy access to everywhere we wanted to go, we were there for 2 nights. Good nights sleep.

The Best Western Auburndale Inn & Suites is a beautiful and modern hotel, centrally located on US92W and minutes from the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex, restaurants, shopping, and other area attractions, including the cities of Lakeland and Winter Haven. Only 40 minutes from Orlando and it's theme parks, this hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, sparkling swimming pool, manicured grounds, fitness center, guest laundry, full breakfast, and a professional, friendly, and attentive staff. I highly recommend this hotel if your business or pleasure travel brings you to the Central Florida area.

Upon check in, desk clerk advised us there was not a hot breakfast - contrary to the hotel's webpage. Only two nights, so we checked in anyways (Burger King across the street). King Suite was roomy, but there was no dining table or bar to sit at. So, we ate dinner out of our laps on the living room sofa. Crumbs and debris all over the floor afterwards. There was no maid service, but if you asked nicely, the maid let us borrow her vacuum sweeper the next morning to clean it up. The floor light in the bedroom didn't work. In fact (excluding the bathroom, there were only 4 table lamps in the entire suite. No lighting in the kitchen...bring a flashlight. The spigot on the tub/shower was worn out, and the temperature had to be readjusted every 15 seconds or so. Tub took 15 minutes to drain. On the plus side, the wireless internet was reliable and fast.

Two day trip to Florida to visit family. Booked a king suite at the Best Western because the webpage for the hotel promised a "Complimentary full breakfast, a variety of breads, cereal, fruit, hot eggs,hot breakfast meat, Belgian waffles, yogurt, juice, coffee, and much more!" In reality, the hot eggs and hot breakfast meat were refrigerated breakfast biscuit that had to be microwaved. The "suite" had a walk-up counter with a small microwave, coffee maker, and fridge. No place to eat...you had to sit on the sofa and eat out of your lap. No maid service, but she'll let you borrow her vacuum sweeper - if you ask her nice - to vacuum all the crumbs off the floor from last night's dinner. The spigot in the tub was so old it would fall into the 6 o'clock position, so you had to readjust it ever 15 seconds to keep a hot shower going. Floor light in the bedroom didn't work. Including the bedroom, only 4 table lamps in the entire suite for lighting....bring a flashlight to use the "kitchen" counter. On the plus side, the wireless internet was excellent.

Great front desk staff. I forgot to print an important document for my meeting that day. They went above and beyond helped me get all squared away. Perfect for a one-day business trip. I would use them again.

It didn't start off too good to say the least the room look like it had some stuff on the carpet we had told the front desk agent Samantha who checked us in,didn't really expect anything to be done due being sold out an late but later that evening Housekeeping showed up an was and asked if she could come in and take a look to see if maybe she could clean it up or get the shampooer of course it was late so we denied that but she did clean up as much as she could she was very nice an handled it well my girls loved her gave them free snacks thank you for the courtesy I think her name was Christy or Christina very pleasant, again thank you for taking the time to acknowledge us an thank you Samantha front desk. The rooms were ok but they over charged my card 3 times and when I had my husband speak to the manager to ask why I was over charged for the 150 deposit three times she was rude and not helpful and told me to call my bank to handle it. She also informed him if we were there 1 minute after check out she would be charging me for a half day. That is RIDICULOUS! I am not happy with her or this hotel. I have 3 $150 dollar deposits not yet returned to me and she has the audacity to tell me that!!! Worst experience ever!! Will not recommend to anyone ever!

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. I could not have asked for better service than what they have given me the rooms were very clean very helpful in helping me check in and check out breakfast is amazing.

Sketchy people hanging around hotel, dirty and very smelly mold non smoking area smelled like an ash tray we all got congested for those 2 nights only, we did not shower tub and curtains had stains, refrigerator dirty and freezer moldy

Dirty is an understatement. Will NOT stay here again. Shower/bathroom dirty. Every counter and table dusty. Trash hadn't been removed from previous person using room. Staff had bad attitude specially when I checked in. Elevator wasn't working.

The carpet was disgusting- it needs to be cleaned. The sofa and chair both had stains on them, so we didn't even want to sit on them. The sofa bed was so unbelievably uncomfortable that even my young daughter wouldn't sleep on it. The bedroom door are glass and there are no curtains or other privacy elements. I definitely would not recommend this hotel. There are many better options nearby. We will be back in the area next month and have chosen a different place to stay.

Pictures are very deceiving. Hotel smelt terrible, was dirty, and so loud almost made it impossible for my kids to sleep! There for a soccer tournament, the front desk staff seemed miserable and the best thing about the hotel was the girl that handled breakfast. She was very accommodating and professional. As much as we travel for soccer, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone unless you want to get no sleep, be treated nasty, and lay in uncomfortable beds.

Hotel looks nice enough from outside and lobby, but the rooms are old and in need of updating. Sloppy paint job, toilet and sink didn't drain well, paint chipped and peeling on old bed bases, needs new mattresses and pillows, thin walls, could hear local train, old style air-conditioner that kept cutting on and off all night, the plastic shower floor creaked with every step (felt sorry for the guests underneath our room). Definitely not worth the premium price charged!!

Do not stay here even if it is free. The parking lot flood lights in to the room, the drag racing out front, the dozens of trains and the accompanying train horns (approx 15 per train), the TV remote volume buttons didnt work, the bathroom floor was sticky, we got 1 hand towel and 1 shower towel.

I give this hotel a 10 staff was excellent that is a hard thing to find these days anything I requested for my room was acknowledged housekeeping staff was always asking if I needed any towels or wanted my room cleaned I will definitely stay again thank you I made my stay pleasant.

I'll keep it simple: Pros: check in was easy, comfortable bed Cons: No hot water , broken tub handle,No heat, Noise easily heard in hallways and from room next door, flat lumpy pillows, windows were very dirty, and so far it's been 6 days waiting for a $25 credit.. We stayed at the hotel through the weekend for a soccer tournament. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous. They helped us fill our large cooler for the soccer team. I would recommend the hotel and would stay again.

This is a very nice hotel on FL-92, a great place to stay if you're visiting any of the sites or for business. Obviously, check-in and breakfast are altered due to the Pandemic, but otherwise it is a great place to stay. I stayed in a regular room so I don't know about the suites. Parking is limited, you may be able to fit an RV or box (moving) truck in, depending on whomever else parked there. The room I had actually smelled like New Car (not the canned stuff, the ACTUAL scent of a new car), I had all the toiletries and towels I needed. They do not have daily housekeeping, but they will give you towels if needed. In terms of places to eat, there are TONS of places, from sit-down to fast food, all within 1 mile east of the hotel. The farthest would be Dunkin, which is about a mile-and-a-half east on 92. With shopping, there is a Lowes across the highway, and WalMart about a block east.

The staff is friendly ,efficient and went out of their way to be helpful to us. Hotel is nice, rooms are clean and bright. Our stay was short but we enjoyed it. Breakfast was a bagged muffin, water and snack bar due to covid-19 which was expected, coffee fresh and hot!

People are very nice. Coffee is good. I think there is mold there because my sinuses were really bothering me and there's a very musty smell. However,if you are visiting the area, this is really the only decent hotel to stay in.

We spent 10 days in the area bass fishing on the Winter Haven chain, golfing (easy), and travelling to the beaches on each coast, visiting Disney and Daytona etc. The hotel is fairly new, very well maintained, and a good value for the money. We had a room with a whirlpool tub and used it everyday. I highly recommend.

I book through an online agency that oddly got me a better price than BW.com. The room was spotless. The breakfast was good and the woman running it was very pleasant. The rooms were well appointed and I didn't hear any trains. It was nice to be close to Walmart since we had forgotten to pack a few things.

The facility was very clean but outdated. There was little to no water pressure in the bathroom sink and the shower curtain was coming off the wall. We heard people walking in the room above us and people talking in the room next to us. We will not stay here again.

I've been staying here off and on with my soccer team for the last 6 years. This year I must say that the Auburndale Best Western has noticeably upped their game. The concierges were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The staff was very responsive. Rooms were spotless, and cleaned quickly and without interference. All in all, a pleasant stay. If you are ever in Auburndale this is a great place to stay.

We booked two rooms for 2 night each for a quick weekend getaway. The staff from the beginning was great. From check in to check out. The breakfast lobby was very inviting and the attendant was very helpful and always made sure to ask if all was ok. The housekeeping supervisor was great also. She stopped us in the hallways to ask if everyone was good in the room. With 2 kids myself, the cleaning of the room was a must. The beds were clean, the towels and the carpet. The front desk agents were very friendly as well. I will come back for sure! Keep up the good work!

Since it is the only hotel in this area it is the only game in town. First night there we learned the elevator would be out almost the entire time we stayed here (looking on the good side we got a lot of exercise going up and down three flights of stairs). First room the AC/heat didn't work we were told how to reset it but after resetting it three times no luck so we had to move rooms. The first night loud noises from kids in hallway/next door. Paper thin walls you hear almost everything. The bathtub creaks every time you step. The second night there was a party next door and even though we knocked on their door twice it didn't stop until we were ready to wake up at 6 a.m. There were people smoking pot in the parking lot day two as well as next door during the all night party. HORRIBLE breakfast didn't even finish the food threw it away and went to a local restaurant. We are looking for alternative places to stay, unfortunately further away from family, for the remainder of our holiday time with family. Will NEVER stay here again. We gave 2 stars because of the nice staff at the desk and help from housekeeping staff.

Excellent hotel with excellent employees that go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. I always check for bed bugs and cleanliness before I bring my luggage inside the room. I was not disappointed. I visit this area frequently, and from now on this is the only place I will be staying.

I found this to be typical BW stay... what I would rate as 2.5 star. While not surprising as it was typical based on my BW stays, it was not 3.5 as advertised on the site that I booked it on... I believe Priceline, as that is who I normally book with.

I stayed in the King Bed Suite and found it to be very comfortable. There was plenty of space in the living area and a separate bedroom. The hotel had coffee available all day and a complimentary breakfast. It was easy to get to and decently priced.

I stay at Best Western's all the time and I also put my 4 man crew in Best Western's but this one in Auburndale was the worst I have ever seen. House keeping was not vacuuming the room properly I found a big hair ball under the desk. Then I started looking closer and all around the base boards was dirty, around the edge of each bed was not vacuumed properly. Just piss poor cleaning job.

The hotel property is well maintained on the outside and the rooms were very clean and ready upon our arrival. All of the staff was very professiopnal, as well as friendly and courteous, especially at the front desk. The morning breakfast hours were good and the offerings were more than we expected. The only missing item for us was a TV in the lobby area that guest could view shile waiting or relaxing in that particular area. Otherwise, it was overall very positive experience and stay.

Hotel was really clean the staff was pleasant. I arrived 3 hours before check in because I forgot check in wasn't until 3, they got my room available for me in like 30 minutes and let me check in. The only issue I had was I went to the lobby to buy a couple drinks out of their cooler and they were $3 apiece which is a little outrageous especially since one of the drinks was a Capri Sun. But other than that had a great stay.

Very nice kept hotel. Staff are very polite and helpful. Everything clean and breakfast excellent. The location was very accessible. When you check in the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. The check out is fast. They even offer you a check out express. The beds are comfortable, the bedrooms are clean and well organized.

My family was quite pleased with location, friendliness of staff, comfort and cleanliness of the rooms and common areas. Room temperature was comfortable, did not notice street noise. Pool area is neat and clean. Definitely will have family or friends stay at Best Western Auburndale again.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need to stay in Auburndale. It is the nicest place in the city. It's an average hotel overall. There isn't a ton to do or see in Auburndale, but if you go to Winter Haven, or farther out to Tampa or Orlando, you'll have much more to do. Staff was polite and friendly. The breakfast was as to be expected for a hotel breakfast. Fitness room was alright..2 treadmills, 1 didn't work. Nice pool outside. Room was clean, but shower didn't drain very well. You get what you pay for, and this hotel is worth the price.

I was in the area to find a place to hold a Fiber Retreat next year. The staff was very friendly and had answers for all of my questions. There were a few minor hiccups---ice machine on my floor broke and the folks above us were somewhat noisy. But the beds were comfy, great shower, and nice towels. It was quite clean and there were a ton of outlets...regular and USB.

They have a friendly staff that will help you in any way. They honored any request that I had. We actually received an upgraded Room because of my special request. No up charge. Very convenient location off Hwy 92 and the Polk Parkway. Not far from Disney.

Coffee was fresh and available 24 hours. I would definitely stay here again. I read a previous review about the carpets being dirty. My son walked around in his socks and the bottom stayed clean. This was an A+ stay for us. The older lady who was mopping the floor in the morning was very sweet and cheerful also. Whoever hired/trained these folks needs to get an award!

They are very friendly, well priced, well mannered, very clean, good breakfast bar, Nice refreshing swimming pool, beautiful landscaping, close to good food, wal mart, and gas. The only issue is the no pet policy. We had to get in touch with Rover an online dog sitter and have our pets watched by strangers in order to enjoy the hotel stay.

Everything is perfect in this hotel. So quiet area, no heavy traffic. The breakfast is so good. Room so clean, good bed, TV, etc. The lady who take care of the breakfast took good care of us. Good internet, gym, nice clean bed, warm shower.

I typically don't enjoy hotel experiences since I typically don't sleep very well. However, my experience was contrary to this. I slept fabulously! The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. Although we came in with lots of family members for a funeral of our loved one we were in and out so fast we really enjoyed our room except for the horses running around above us but would to come back just to relax.

we had flown in from Boston early morning and when we went to our Hotel outside of Tampa Airport, we were told that there was no room available even though we had a reservation we were upset and tired and started driving towards Winter Haven where we were going to visit a relative we drove by the Best Western Auburndale Inn and stopped. Carrie was at the desk and she accommodated us and we started feeling better because it was 4:30 am and we were tired and aggravated. we had a nice room for three nights and the breakfasts were excellent. the Inn was very clean and Judy at breakfast was very nice to us because I had no idea how to use the waffle maker. we were very fortunate to come across the Best Western Thank you

Room had a "dirty rag" smell when you first walk in. You dont notice it after a while. Nice size mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in room. Hotel has heated pool outside but needs updated. I also saw a workout room. Basic continental breakfast from 6-9am. The whole hotel has potential but needs updating everwhere.

Just had a long day this place hit the spot a smile after a long day goes a long way. Had great night sleep and on the go the next day. Well if I pass though this way again this a place I will stay for a good night rest.

No hot water in the suite. Super small pillows on the bed. They charge 2.14 cents for a water bottle but do give you free apples. Hmmm. Hotel staff hung up on me 2 separate times. They never offer early check in. Totally disrespectful towards me regarding my ESA animal. I will never return to this best western. And that is sad because normally best westerns are a great hotel. The only reason i had to stay here was because i was in a wedding who had a block set up here. (They admitted it was their first block ever.) Good luck to you of you stay here!

Chose this hotel after a horrible experience at another hotel in the area. The moment Mia greated us, we were put to ease that we chose the right hotel. She made sure we had a quiet room, which we desperately needed. Plan to stay there again. Thanks Mia.

Staff was excellent, service excellent: They accomodated our early game time by having the breakfast bar open a few minutes early. Upon checking out I showed the morning rep two photos of silverfish bugs that were in the tub on Sunday (not here during day 1). She said thatshe would make a note of it. She did make a flippant remark that "Well, this is Florida."

We came on Thanksgiving night and the room was great it was a little more than what I want her to pay but the room was very nice clean the breakfast was excellent and the staff was excellent also and I would refer friends and family to stay there.

My family and I stayed at the Auburndale, Florida Best Western due to a fire at our home. We were guests there for 3 months. Can not say one bad thing about our stay at this Best Western. Extremely clean rooms, excellent service and great breakfast bar. The entire staff was warm and friendly and made a point to make us feel welcome as they did with all guests.

This hotel was a little off I-4, but that short drive saved us a few dollars and lead to a very nice nights rest, a very friendly staff, and some great Pizza delivery! We usually ask for the advice of a "local" for pizza, and we weren't disappointed. The breakfast that was provided was good, hot and plentiful. The beds were comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was great.

I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the breakfast items. As we stayed several days, it was wonderful to have a bit of variety daily, especially with the hot food. Never once did I consider going somewhere else for breakfast. The Breakfast Room employees were friendly, helpful, attentive, and cleaning unobtrusively but constantly. The cleaning service employees likewise were attentive and responsive. I tend to assume that the desk employees will do their jobs well and efficiently but not often have I been as impressed by the other employees as I was while staying in this specific hotel.

When I check into this hotel the staff goes over and beyond to make me feel comfortable and safe. As I am usually traveling alone to visit family in the area, they continue to ask me if there is anything they can do for me and always give me the room I request if it is available.

Lots of fast food close by but restaurants are farther away.. Clean rooms and great staff. We had 17 or so family from Seattle to Baltimore there that we hadn't seen in quit a while ,the pool closed earlier than we were ready to go to bed so the staff let us stay out without issue.

The room was very stinky, very odd smell. Sink was clogged, ice maker didn't work on the 3rd floor. House keeping knocks on the door at 9:00 am asking for dirty towels, when some of us weren't even awake yet or we were still showering. The beds were definitely not queen size beds, rather a double

The room was ok, and honestly I didn't see any other options for the area. The AC came on and off every coupe of minutes all night long. I wasn't able to get a good nights sleep. The shower/tub was cheapish and made cracking noises as you moved. It felt like a tub over a tub....bad job. Overall, the staff was friendly, but I'd probably chose another location to stay.

It was a great stay. Clean quite hotel. The room were beautiful and were for a great price. The staff was well educated about hotel and it's amenities and were very kind. Everything was close and it was a great stay. My husband and I never wanted to leave.

I checked in for just one night because I was visiting my grandson at university in Lakeland. He came with me to check in and was very impressed that I had a huge suite!! I stay at Best Western's all over the world snd have been disappointed.

I have been to many Hotels and Motels over the years, this hotel was not only beautiful, but it was economical for the area, friendly, courteous customer service. Breakfast was very good with a variety of entrees to start your day....

Very friendly staff. Liked location for why we were there. Close to shopping, eating locations, walmart, service stations. The pool is nice. Close parking. Easy on and off to Hwy 92 for sightseeing etc.

The staff at this hotel was GREAT! Great accommodations! Very clean and well kept. Ease of check in, quality of breakfast, and service by all employees was second to none. Great VALUE for the great QUALITY!

Receptionist went out of her way to help us with directions and to locate a nearby 24 hour restaurant. TIP: If you use GPS to find hotel leave out the "west" part of address: using "west" put several of us in an industrial park; w/o the "west" led to hotel. I used 3rd party employee discount to purchase my stay; 3rd party sent wrong (too low) of a payment - receptionist accepted my proof of purchase and told me that she would handle the matter so I wouldn't be inconvenienced.

Great stay and great breakfast. Staff was helpful. The lady in the breakfast room keep all food stocked and the area clean. We would stay here again. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The bathroom tub and toilet needed some work (seemed loose).

The overall stay was good but I was put close to noisemakers. The remote in the room was broken. Besides the room, there were places to go for dinner close by and Wal-Mart is close too, that's a plus.

The service was excellent. Rooms were ok. A bit outdated. The tub made noise while standing taking a shower, needed to be replaced. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Checkout was quick, friendly staff.

The building is fairly news.Standard room with an inviting lobby. Front desk service is very friendly. They offer apples in a basket upon check-in. I like how they wrap these fruit individually in Saran Wrap. Certainly makes it ore hygenic.Free breakfast is always a bonus. Premises very clean. Pool is fairly small, but they have a couple of tiki huts that put you in a vacation mode.

Room had dingy smelling carpets, had to buy candle to compensate smell, roach in toilet, broken/creaky tub floor, room key stopped working, went downstairs, no attendant for 10 minutes, I could go on & on but I am running out of characters.

We wanted to stay at a clean hotel for just 1 night inbetween our Legland vacation. Although this hotel was 13 miles away is made the most sense for the price. Staying at one of the Legoland resort has never been an option because of the price. We usually travel with other family members and price and comfort is important. Winter Haven has either really expensive hotels or really outdated hotels. With BW we were able to have a very clean room with free breakfast. With 7 total family members the free breakfast is a huge bonus. I would stay there again.

Very happy with the property. Looks good from the outside, rooms were very clean. Breakfast was decent, toast, english muffins, blueberry muffins, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, fruit, etc.. Pool is a bit on the small side, but the kids had a good time, that's all that matters.

This is the hotel we prefer when visiting family in the Auburndale area, and we were not disappointed. Clean and comfortable room, including the bathroom, friendly staff and very good breakfast included. Bed was very comfy and provided a good night's rest.

Overall a pleasant experience. The hotel room was comfortable and clean. The provided breakfast was more than adequate. The personnel were very accommodating and polite. The showerhead leaked and the Wi-Fi did not work very well but these were minor issues. We enjoyed our stay!

This is a nice Facility located close to Restaurants and Shopping. Room seemed to be recently updated and clean. The Room was a good value and a completive rete for the area. Great Staff is very attentive and professional.

We stayed at this location for my nieces soccer tournament April 27/28. Due to some confusion with our room we were put in a suite by the manager. The location was perfect for the soccer venue and it was very clean. The manager Mia went out of her way to be sure all was good for us. Alexandra and Michelle also helped make this a very enjoyable stay. Everyone needs to have such dedicated managers/employees with such outstanding customer service. We would definitely return to this location based on how well we were treated Thank you Mia, Michelle and Alexandra

Staff pleasant, but hotel tired. Our third stay for family reasons. Seems expensive at $191 plus $30 taxes for one night of average hotel. Needed two nights. Only hotel in town. Plenty towels adequate. Our WiFi would not work - our security server did not accept it.

Only a 15 min drive. Nice area. Nice staff. Breakfast included. Rooms were clean. Everything up to Best Western standards. This is a great option. I was concerned at first being that it was Easter break and hotel rates were through the roof for these central areas. I was about to throw in the towel when the BW popped up. It was great. Trip was set!

Listened to the guy in the next room snore all night, along with random banging bumping noises. The folks above kept their TV on all night and I could hear the dialogue perfectly. The room smelled like dirty socks fermenting and the two staff members I came into contact with could care less if they were employed.

Nice hotel. Prices were up due to Strawberry Fest. Sara at the front desk was very nice and helpful. She was helpful getting directions to the Fest and avoid traffic. Breakfast was good. The location was handy for restaurants, too.

A very comfortable bed....nice room...great breakfast...hot and cold items...make your own waffles..fresh fruit..friendly staff. .only drawback was no safe in the room but able to lock up valuables in safe in office...plenty of free parking..would stay here again for sure.

My first encounter at checkin was with Sarah. So professional, kind and caring. I came to Florida from Maine to get my 82 yr old mom out of the cold weather, and get to sit outside for a few days. Sarah is way more than a front desk clerk. She was so helpful and willing to cater to the needs of me and my mom.I would hire her in a heartbeat to represent my company if I was local. She is a treasure. All of your staff from housekeeping to other front desk associates are amazing. My interactions with Naomi were also amazing. I have been here many times, and will continue to come often. Sarah exudes exemplary custom service skills, and I hope she gets rewarded for just doing her job. My mother wants to adopt her and take her back to Maine.

We chose to stay here for three days as it was in a not so busy area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's an older hotel which looks like it has been redone. Breakfast was just okay - we tried the juices but they were pretty watery - the coffee was excellent. The pool was nice but the pool deck and furniture could use some cleaning. Overall, it was a nice place to spend some 'quiet' time.

Booked the room for a large soccer tournament through Expedia. Our team unfortunately had to cancel due to injuries. We are 1 week away from the tournament. Called to cancel and get refund and Best Western is refusing to give the authorization for Expedia to refund our money even though they previously said cancellations up to 24H in advance are okay. Even a supervisor from Expedia contacted and BW still refuses to refund the money. In addition to loosing my family as a customer that will NEVER book at another BW hotel our League Director will also not set up blocks of rooms with BW if they don't make this right with us and other parents that are trying to cancel. Considering we have hundreds of players in our travel league you would think BW would do the right thing! Absolutely horrific customer service!!

I'll definitely be back! The hotel was clean.. and not just a fresh coat of paint kind of clean. It's actually clean. The pool was heated! The breakfast had quality and a variety of foods! Even real yogurt and my girls loved the Nutella on their waffles. The staff were all extremely friendly! It's worth every dollar spent. Honestly, it was hands down my favorite hotel experience!

We stayed here due to it's proximity to the Lake Myrtle fields. (6 minute drive) The rooms were clean and comfortable, bathroom was just ok and the fridge didn't smell too good, but we were hardly ever in the room. Breakfast was good, but the eggs could use some work. Waffles and all other items were great and the kids didn't seem to mind. Coffee was good and free flowing all day. Pool was small, but heated. All in all, it did the job and didn't break the bank.

My stay at the best western was amzing. The staff SARAH and NICK were awesome people and made my stay wonderful. Breakfast time LUCY was amzing doing what she does so everyone has a wonderful breakfast

Stay elsewhere if possible. At least I will. Not up to the standards of the Hilton chain. The only reason I choose this hotel over a local Hampton was because of the jacuzzi in the room. This one turned out to be useless. And when I asked for my rate to be discounted to allow for the crappy tub, I was told the best they could do was knock off $20 a day. This new rate was way more than a standard room would cost me. Plus there were other things in the room that didn't work correctly - all though the manager did help with most of the additional problems. Oh well. Live and learn.

I was immediately impressed by the staff. They were very attentive & knowledgeable. The room was excellent!! I loved the suite having a jacuzzi as well. There were also places to eat & shop nearby. We will most definitely return!

The staff makes this hotel. You feel like your home away from home. Rooms are clean and fresh. Even though they are renovating. And that is just about done. Breakfast is just right. You can eat healthy to start your day.

Very quick check-in. Friendly staff member. Did have an issue with the toilet seat. Front desk sent someone to fix it in less than 10 minutes. Stayed for 2018 Florida Classic Soccer Tournament. Will stay again.

We attended a soccer function and stayed at the Best Western.. The hotel is only 5 minutes away from the sports complex. Decent breakfast and clean rooms. We stay there every time we come to Auburndale for soccer.

When I call to make reservations, the staff always remembers me from previous visits and always tries to give me the room I request. The location is near my kids, so makes it easy to meet and lots of restaurants to eat.

This was a great experience staying in this hotel. The front desk staff and the maintenance staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are all being refurbished and it was very nice to be the first people to use everything in that room

Went just for the night for an anniversary getaway, and had a wonderful stay. We stayed in the whirlpool suite and although it needed reset, they took care of it promptly and we ended up having an amazing night. That you to the staff for handling it.

Friendly bilingual customer services. Room was clean all the time. The breakfast was great and on time. The hotel is close to shopping center, food restaurants and fast food. It is easy to locate from the street.

One of the best hotel stays I have had in a long while. Staff was friendly, courteous, professional and extremely helpful. Rooms are clean and bright and the beds are comfortable. For me the location was perfect as it was the only hotel within minutes of my ultimate destination.

In town for one night. Just needed a comfortable place to lay my head and BW fit the bill. Room was clean and spacious. Loved that it had a microwave and fridge. Loved the provided toiletries. Even provided shower gel and facial cleansing wipe. Appreciated those! Appreciated the included hot breakfast. All staff encountered (at desk and on phone when reserving) were friendly and courteous.

Clean fresh room. Very acceptable breakfast with large choice of items. Would stop here again if ever in the area again. Location ideal and easy to get to from major roads. Overall, very pleasant stay.

This hotel is nice. The bed is very comfortable, the rooms are big, and the staff friendly. Both visits to this property were satisfactory, although the breakfast is very crowded. Plenty of options to chose from, and the food was fresh and plentiful. good hotel for an overnight stay.

Having to change rooms while on a two night trip is not acceptable. Rooms with only 3 usable outlets to charge today's electronics was like playing the lottery for outlets. No outlet accessible to use the iron and board. Ended up unplugging a bed light to use iron. Also disappointed that additional couples were refused agreed club rates when requesting rooms. Because the minimum number of room had been met anyone mentioning our club was turned down for the group rate. I guess there is a problem trying to bring more guests to this hotel.

The room was very nice and clean. The only thing I would have liked to see is a USB port setup on the night stands next to the bed to charge a phone or other device. There is a desk with charging ports, but I like having my phone next to me. Very nice and friendly employees.

Just average, we expected a nicer place for the money.We have stayed at several Best Westerns in the past. This felt more like a Days Inn. It was close to where we were visiting and could handle 5 people in the room. Luckily I didn't get stuck on the fold out couch. The carpet had some loose squares also.

We were down to participate in a Tough Mudder, this hotel was one the event recommended. The staff was wonderful. Sara, Michelle and Naomi were friendly, polite and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. We would difenitely stay here again in the future.

Everything in this hotel was good. It seems like they've remodeled it recently because everything was very clean. Staff is nice and the suites are great for 4 people. Lots of restaurant options to nearby. Walmart, Home Depot and other major chains very close.

The room was clean. The jets in the tub could have worked better. Service staff was polite and helpful. There were some kids running upstairs that could have been quieter. Th complimentary breakfast was plentiful.

Hotel has old carpet and furniture and has a musty smell. Breakfast food of low quality and low variety. Dining room needs to be larger. Parking area needs to be larger to accommodate vehicles with trailers.

My wife and I recently stayed in this hotel on our way to Tampa for a cruise to Cuba. Michelle and Sarah at the front desk were absolutely wonderful, polite, professional ladies. They had a caring attitude and desired to assist in any way possible. The room was perfect for our overnight stay before boarding the cruise ship. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The amenities were fabulous. The internet was blazing fast and the television was awesome. Thank you for a great stay!

Nice rooms, people, and breakfast. I stayed almost 2 weeks and felt at home when I was there. Everything was clean and in order, mind you that they were always doing something. They even went out of their way to give me a bagel when I had to work earlier than the time that breakfast was open.

We are from the Uk and were visiting family in Auburndale and have stayed here many times. All the staff are fabulous, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Good value for money if you are able to get the Advance Purchase.

I stayed at the best western on Friday and I have to say it was the most greatest experiences ever. The customer service the housekeeping and the breakfast staff were excellent ! I would recommend the best western in auburndale to anyone!

Let me begin by saying that this is my 30th review on TripAdvisor. Twenty-eight of them have been positive. By nature, we are not complainers. However, our experience at Auburndale Inn and Suites was not only awful but downright scary. We stayed there on the night of Saturday, September 23rd 2017. We arrived around 3 PM but because of an engagement we only looked at our room briefly, without even dropping off our luggage, before heading out. We came back to the room after dinner at about 6:30 or 7 and noticed fairly quickly that our non-smoking hotel room smelled like an ashtray. We are non-smokers but decided to ignore it and not report it because we would only be there for one night. Almost immediately, the loud noise of children running up and down the hallway began. We waited a long time before informing the desk because kids will be kids and we truly aren't complainers. They took care of it but at about 10:30 the kids started up again. We again ignored it until two adults came into the hallway and started arguing loudly with each other. We laid in our bed trying to sleep until after about thirty minutes we called the desk again and she said that she would take care of it. The arguing continued for some time after which it eventually subsided. By then, it was about 12:30-1 AM. It was quite upsetting so we had difficulty falling asleep and frankly I did not sleep that night. The next morning, we were awakened by the same fighting only this time it was clear to us that it was coming from the next room. It was much louder filled with obscene words and it was getting quite physical. It sounded like a woman was getting beaten up and being thrown against the wall. We called the desk. The fighting continued, so we called the desk again and no one answered at the desk. At this point, we were fearing for our own safety and hoping that firearms would not be involved. We talked about hiding out in our bathroom to be safe. Eventually after about 20 minutes, we assume that the hotel personnel took care of it because it quieted down. We were about to call 911 just as it quieted down. Because of all of the issues that we experienced, but mostly the one where we feared for our lives, we asked to be reimbursed for our room when we checked out. We were told that only the manager could authorize that and that she was not on the premises. We were given her card and asked to call her the next day. The manager offered us a small discount, which amounted to about $11 and told my husband quite rudely that was all that she was going to authorize because otherwise she would have to give refunds to everyone who complained if she gave us one. He then asked to be connected to corporate customer service. We talked with two different people at customer service, one yesterday and one today. Neither gave us any satisfaction. One told us that we had been offered a room change, which we were NOT. (Perhaps the hotel personnel confused us with the other people who also complained that night.) Customer Service even told us if we had reported the smoky room and moved rooms earlier then none of it would have happened. Really? Needless to say, we will NEVER stay at the Auburndale Best Western again. The atmosphere was out of control, and we feared for our lives while we were there. It is also questionable whether we will EVER stay at another Best Western if this is typical of their response to legitimate customer concerns.

Hair in shower, dirty rooms. Millions of people smoking cigarettes outside. The front desk staff charged me for water upon check in. I have never been charged for water in my life at a hotel. I would not recommend staying here. I was supposed to stay four nights and I checked out after one.

Hotel room was very good. Reception desk was very courteous. It was a bit noisy on 2nd floor and floor above during the day and evening. There was unwanted knocking on door. When asked who was knocking, there was not response. Notified the reception desk.

The hotel facilities themselves were very nice, clean, updated. What impressed me the most was the staff. EACH person was friendly, helpful, smiled, can't say enough. The front desk staff especailly was so very nice. Can't say enough about how I was treated. Would recommend this hotel to anyone! Thank you

The staff were wonderful. Special thanks to Michelle, Mia and Sarah. They are the best. We had evacuated for Hurricane Irma and my husband is on oxygen 24/7. Your staff bent over backwards to make sure we were well taken care of.

This was a very late booking and short stay as we fled hurricane Irma. We managed to book a king suite with Jacuzzi which was really nice. The hotel seemed very modern and the room was very comfortable, the Jacuzzi was very relaxing. All the staff were excellent. Pity it was such a short stay. If you want a great pizza and beer/wine, try the Brew Pop Brewery a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We hope everyone came through the hurricane safe and well.

I stayed for 2 weeks for business. It's hard to be away from home so long but the friendly staff made it so much easier. They upgraded me for free so I had a little more room to live comfortably. The rooms were very clean and well kept.

There hotel staff in Auburndale always is as helpful as can be. Sarah at the front desk is amazing. The hotel is located close to the soccer fields where we play our league and tournament games. The complimentary breakfast is great and starts our days on the right foot. Thanks for everything! We will stay at The Best Western Inn & Suites whenever we need to be in Auburndale. Hopefully an upgrade to a suite is in or future. The rewards program is an added plus. Thanks again for everything! David Goldberg

Arrived Mon Aug 28 2017 Checked Out Fri Aug 31 2017 Rooms, property VERY CLEAN and updated. Now that thats said..... My hubsand and I came into town for a funeral. I booked the hotel first, which led to me needing to reschedule check in and check out dates due to different flights. Every time I called to make a change I was met with "no problem" or "we are more than happy to help" always with what sounded like a smile on the other end of the phone. Then we arrived. What we thought was great treatment only got better!! Unfortunately I can only recall a couple of names. Sara was my first, second and third encounter on the phone (on Sat before I arrived) a young lady named Mel and I believe one was named Neomi. Who is who does not matter. Every single one treated us so well. I had suggested a couple of cousins also flying in stay at BW as well, we ended up in rooms next to one another. On Monday night the young lady at the desk allowed us to use the breakfast room to finalize arrangements and see cousins we had not seen in years. There were about 7 of us, her kindness was above and beyond. I had hoped to get to meet with the manager this morning, but we had to be at the airport before she started her day. I apologize for the legnth of this review, I could go on and on. Your staff were so kind to us at a very hard time. But the thing is, just in what we saw in a week, they treat everybody this way. the hotel is in an area where restaurants and other big stores such as walmart are close by. However the hotel needs a complete renovation as soon as possible. everything is old. The staff were pleasant and helpful. But i will be in this area next month and will not stay here

So I come to this hotel this past do some business in the area I do tattoos first night check-in was great receptionist was awesome!!!I loved my room! The next morning I call down to extend expecting to pay a little more but was told this kind of room was not available but I could get the basic king for 109.00. I told her I didn't know if I would be staying considering I wanted to stay in this room she told me well that's great and hung up with an attitude. So after giving it a little time I decided why not... I come down only to be met by the rude girl at the desk and then the other lady assuming she's the boss being told 109.00 was not available that it would now be 134.00. I was completely stunned at how I was being treated considering this was not my first time staying here and it was pleasant. The chic at the front desk Nayomi definitely needs an attitude adjustment. So definitely will not be staying here again.

I usually stay at this hotel when visiting Auburndale as it is quiet and comfortable. The breakfast room is very clean and has a nice variety of food and beverage. I don't know her name but the lady that takes care of the breakfast room is on top of everything. Constantly wiping and refreshing the items.

Overall the experience was great. It was a good price point. Safe, friendly environment. My wife is a little picky with cleanliness so she had a little issue with the slight musty smell in the room but it was not an issue to me.

It was a bed. Front staff was pleasant but clearly the houskeeping and maintenance staff are in need of some guidance. Are you kidding me! I have to write 200 charachters just to complete this survey!!?? Should I write it 100 time on the board

After having our SWA flight canceled due to weather, the Best Western staff couldn't have been nicer when I called to say we wouldn't be able to check in until the next day. Our customer service experience with SWA was unpleasant so it was a relief to meet such kind and helpful employees at the Auburndale FL Best Western. The hotel was clean, attractive, and convenient to shopping and local attractions.

Our family of 4 stayed here while in Florida, in the area to visit Legoland. The hotel is comfortable and in a convenient location. The room smelled kinda like a pool room but the beds comfy with plenty of pillows. Everyone was great. Housekeeping staff all vet friendly and the breakfast room staff amazing. The first night we checked in after 0100 (with a 2 and 3 year old) so overslept continental breakfast. I ducked my head in since the door was open before we left for the day and the lady happily grabbed my kids a carton of milk each and asked if we wanted anything else. The wonderful staff itself makes me recommend the hotel to others. I'd gladly take friendly, helpful, competent employees over a fancy room. Thanks for a nice stay.

We stayed for 2 nights for Legoland, which is probably a 15-20 minute drive from this hotel. My wife felt that was somewhat misrepresented by the website she used to book (not the hotel's website). The front desk staff were very friendly and happy to help and answer questions. I have to agree with a previous reviewer, our room smelled musky when first entering and then thankfully you "get used to it". I describe it as an old YMCA locker room smell. We also had the shower that makes strange noises and makes you feel like you're going to fall through the floor, so I'm wondering if we had the same room as a review from July (Rm 313). Breakfast was nice, many offerings and the hotel was clean and quiet. We did not get the sense that the area is "sketchy" or that we'd need to watch our backs as I've seen in other reviews. We had small children with us, and just like anywhere else, I wouldn't let them out of my sight, but it certainly had nothing to do with feeling unsafe. Beds were ok, AC worked well, the room would benefit from a safe, as it seems many visitors likely head to Legoland and are gone all day long.

Hotel is a typical Best Western. Not the best ever but certainly not the worst either. The front desk lady was very friendly & helpful. The first thing that hit us as we walked in the room, it smelled wierd. We couldn't figure out what it was or how to describe it. Ugh. The side of the desk was busted up...we called down to make sure they knew of it so they wouldn't think we did it. The water from the shower smelled terrible but we later decided that is not uncommon down in Central to Southern Florida.?. The bathtub you stand in to take a shower makes crazy sounds every time you move...makes you feel like you're going to crash through the floor below you. Some of the other patrons there as well as lots of people across the way at Wal-Mart gave us an alert feeling, a feeling that we needed to watch our backs closely. Other than those things, the place was clean & breakfast was their usual.

We stayed here for two nights while we did Legoland with our three kids and we very much enjoyed our stay. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and pleasant. Our rooms were clean, spacious and had a microwave with a fridge. The free breakfast was really nice and had a good selection. I do recommend getting there fairly early if you want to have your pick of things! Bonus was the military discount for the room price, it was a nice surprise. Overall we had a great visit and will stay here in the future.

We only stayed for one night. Rooms were a comfortable size. Room did smell musty and the view wasn't much. Lady that checked us in was very helpful and available if we had questions. Good location as far as restaurants and shops go. Breakfast was only served until 9, but was decent. Kids liked the pool, but it could have been a little bigger. Did not hear outside noise at all, so pretty quiet rooms.

I was truly impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the grounds. I stayed in a king suite...it was very spacious with great tv reception and plenty of channels. The front desk personnel were extremely friendly and helpful...the breakfast was very tasty...I will definitely stay here on my next visit!!!

Our family uses the Best Western Auburndale for its family reunion property, everyone really likes this property, they are not the least expensive, but they are the best property for the money in our opinion. The rooms are great, breakfast is the best, and staff in very friendly and helpful. Could not be better !

I brought the family to LEGOLAND for two days during a 7-day trip to Florida. Our first stop was at the Best Western, Auburndale. I chose it based on both the other good reviews and as an alternative to staying at LEGOLAND resort--which stays booked and is overpriced in my opinion. This hotel is conveniently located near I-4 and Florida's Turnpike in a small town that offers several restaurants and has a quaint little downtown. LEGOLAND is about 15 miles away, so leave the hotel about an hour before it opens in order to get parked and get through the TSA-like security check. The hotel is clean, appears recently renovated, and has a pretty good breakfast included in the rate. The pool is small, but ample and I found the staff to be friendly an accommodating. It is one of the nicer affordable hotel options in the entire area based on what I saw. I got the best rate simply by going on Best Western's own website to book the room. Next time I'm in the area and in need of a hotel, this one will be high on the list.

The drive to Legoland is easy and quick; about 15 minutes. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked, with plenty of seating. The beds are, "So comfy", as my nephew told me. The amenities are above average. The staff was exceptional! I will stay here again and again!

Overall the hotel was nice. The water pressure in the shower was weak and the tub was very creaky! The hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast, which was fine.

The ice machine was out of ice on our floor. The room smelled musty. The bed was hard, the pool was the size of a room, there was a team staying there who took up the whole thing. We asked for an extra washcloth to be brought up and we were told we had to come down and get it. Saved 10 to 15 by eating their breakfast, it did the job

We were very happy with our stay at best western. We were here on vacation. Went to Disney and cocoa beach. As far as I'm concerned this is the only decent place to stay in Polk county. The pool was nice and the complimentary breakfast was excellent.

pleasant staff & very helpful with applying the rewards benefit. Adequate room for overnight stay. The shower tub creaked noisily & the A/C was a little distracting with its hum, had to turn it down. Breakfast was very good although the area was a little small. Was told the hotel was aware of it's shortcomings & was working on them. Would consider staying here again if I need to be in the area.

My air conditioner went out at home so I was looking for a nice clean place to sleep with my kids. I arrive to Friendly receptionist who work promptly to get me to my room and comfortable within minutes. The only thing that was bad was that the pool and the area wasn't clean so we were unable to swim

Good prices, older hotel, but clean, and good staff to take care of your needs. Prices good on limited snacks, milk, soda. Only hotel in Auburndale. Soap products a quality line. Soft water. Carpets old, looked dirty. I wore socks!

I loved our stay. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very accommodating. The room was clean as well as the hotel as a whole. The only negative thing I could say is the internet didn't work for us. The breakfast was also very good!

The customer service was excellent during our stay, the bed was comfy and the breakfast was great. Your typical waffles, eggs and sausage. Cereal, bagels and muffins too. My only complaint was the bathtub's floor. It creaked horribly loud with every step you made. Everyone that I came into contact with was very nice and helpful.

The staff was extremely helpful, and polite. The room was very clean and stocked. Our staff was very comfortable and relaxing. We were down in Auburndale for a funeral my mother passed away on mother's day, so it was a stressful time for us. But we could come back to Best Western and go to our room and unwind and relax. And the staff would ask speak and ask if they could help us with anything. I would say that this made our staff that much better.

This has got to be the best Best Western, and one of the best hotels I've stayed at when it comes to quality and pricing. All of the hotel's interiors and parts of the exteriors (still working on them) are redone. Modern, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast also has enough options. The Auburndale/Winter Haven area does not have many options for lodging, and I would say this is one of the best! I came to the area unfortunately for a funeral, and if I had to come back to the area again, I would definitely stay here. Also, the staff made sure that everything was meeting my expectations and was happy to help me when I asked to borrow scissors. The staff was genuinely nice!

We really enjoyed staying at this location. It was a small town so we did not know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised! The front desk staff were very attentive and kind. Lucy, one of the staff at breakfast, was wonderful too. She made my son's morning by giving him extra hot chocolate when he thought they had a run out!

Clean updated rooms, great breakfast for young and old, and very family friendly staff! Was super close Lego Land and we had a great breakfast before we headed out! Sarah was so friendly at the front desk and me borrow her hairspray!

It was about a 20 minute ride to Legoland. There's plenty of fast food and a Walmart on the same street. We drove back to Winter Haven to eat at a restaurant. The room was clean and decent. The front lobby smelled like an ash tray and the breakfast hot items were limited..scrambled eggs and hot ham slices, wish their had been bacon or beef that didn't look previously frozen or packaged and wish there was fried eggs. They did have some variety on the cold items and the waffle maker was a plus although I didn't see the Nutella packets u til after I ate the waffle. For the price, everything was acceptable.

Alicia at the front desk was friendly, helpful and has a wonderful personality. The idea of 24/7 coffee/ tea/ hot chocolate is fantastic. Food and snacks were a wide variety, to include meals like pot pies to use in the room.

BEST WESTERN HITS HOME RUN!!! Place was great, staff was magnificent, polite, clean and helpful. I could not have asked for a better experience. I will now check out other Best Western hotels as my first choice when business traveling for sure. The breakfast was even top notch, not just a bunch of carbs – it was quality. I had no idea it was nice now - I equate this to a nice Hampton Inn and Suites of the mid 2000's - that level of luxury but better staff and more amenities. Mia and Noemi (Manager / Front Desk) do an OUTSTANDING job. I would not have taken my time or yours unless I was sincerely moved by my stay – $125 in Florida it is a steal.

Hotel was excellent staff terrific they went out of there way to accommodate me in every way. This hotel will be at the top of my list to stay at when traveling to Florida. I can't say anything but praise the entire staff and hotel. We both thank everyone one here for a wonderful stay.

The hotel was clean and well decorated. The staff was super friendly. The pool was clean, but a bit on the smaller side & they did have a problem with large ants. All in all a nice & clean hotel although I felt it was a little expensive for the area.

This Best Western was so clean. My husband and I had the same thought walking into our room..."It smells so clean!" It went beyond just the smell, everything was spotless! We stayed three nights and found the everyone at the hotel to be very friendly and helpful. It is located about 25 minutes from Legoland in a very quiet location. We loved it and would definitely return!

We had a good experience staying last weekend while on a trip to LegoLand. It was about a 15 minute drive from the theme park, and was nice for the price paid - it included a hot breakfast that had options both kids and adults approved of, and it was quiet at night. Our room was clean and comfortable - our only complaint was hair left in the shower - enough to be noticeable by multiple people in our family upon entering the restroom. Otherwise it was a good experience.

Looking for reasonable hotel in town. Called hotel reservations agent I think Melissa was great asking me what floor I wanted..I asked for a quiet room..and I got it. Needed to call down for desk 2 times. Staff answered right away got me what I needed and customer service was great..very friendly. Breakfast was Plentiful..good options. Slept well, clean and comfortable beds.

We utilize best western for our staff when we have out of town projects. This hotel has always been clean with friendly staff and ownership. We have used this hotel for approximately 20 nights in the past 18 months.

Staff is extremely helpful, especially Sarah and Alyssa. If I stay at the Auburndale, FL, location again, I'll ask for a room at the back of the hotel, because the highway noise is very loud at night.

Our original reservation of a double queen suite was given to another guest that was not specific with their reservation but checked in before us. We were put in a regular double queen room for the same rate. The tub drain did not drain properly, within seconds the water reached my ankles.

This hotel staff was very knowledgeable. Helped with internet issues. Rooms were cleaned very well Daily. They gave nore soap and towels then you need that is actually refreshing considering most hotels lack on that.

This hotel was the closest to family that we were visiting. Hotel reception staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is typical for hotels that include breakfast in the nightly rate. However the room was tastefully decorated and very clean!

Also the train passing a few fees from the park for an awesome experience for kids who live trains. They also have a train museum and historic buildings in walking distance. I also hear the the flea market nearby is near for kids with rides and alligators, etc. I like finding things that are new

The hotel is located near the intersection of 92 and the 570 Tollway. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was spacious. The breakfast had both hot and cold items which were replenished as needed. All in all, it was a good stay!

Great hotel. Clean. Large rooms. Plenty of parking. Amazing free breakfast. Helpful staff. The told of great steak restaurant (catelle company) which awesome. Housecleaning available until 6 pm. Elevators never too full.

Stayed at this hotel for easy access to Lego land. As soon as we entered the front doors, there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the air. We thought maybe because people smoked outside the doors that could've been the reason why. The stench was throughout the elevators and our room on the 3rd floor. When I called the front desk to ask if we were in a smoking room, she stated that all rooms were non smoking and that she'd make a note of it. The other issue I had with our room, is that it was very dated and the shower had a strange sound when stepping on the floor of the tub. It was so loud that I was hesitant to take a shower in the morning, because I didn't want to wake a sleeping toddler. I do have to say that the beds were comfortable and there was a fridge and flat screen tv in our room. The walls were very thin as I could hear everyone walking by, going down to breakfast in the morning. I cannot comment on breakfast because I didn't try it. Not a bad place to stay if staying overnight like we did. Also not a bad location with it being about a 15-20 min drive to Lego land. We did stay with family members down the hall from us that frequents this hotel at least once a year, and they stated that they never have any issues and continue to return. Maybe we just had a bad stay.

The halls and room were musty and my sons allergies acted up during our stay. The room needs to be upgraded and old carpet should be tore out. The air did not properly cool without humidity, which I think was the problem.

Thus hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast area was full and there was nowhere to sit when we arrived so we had to take our food back to our room. But we had a very pleasant stay. Very large room with 2 queen size beds

We had gotten in very late (1:20AM) and yet the girl behind the desk was cheerful and helpful. The room was very clean and modern. It had everything a traveler could ask for. The complimentary breakfast was very good as well. We wouldn't think twice of staying here again. Keep up the great work!

Many of us with kids in travel soccer and/or baseball know that Auburndale will likely be a destination at some point. The staff was excellent at accommodating the teams by opening up a larger breakfast area and keeping the buffet well-stocked. There are bananas, apples, oranges at breakfast which is enough for me. The rooms are a little dated, but beds are comfortable and it is quiet. It is convenient to both the Auburndale and Winter Haven soccer complexes and there are plenty of restaurants/stores nearby with a bit less traffic than Hwy 98 hotels in Lakeland. The washers/driers are really nice and you can do a lot of uniforms in one of them, too.

This hotel is great. The staff is well informed, friendly, organized and very helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet. The breakfast is standard fair but very tasty. The pool was clean and well maintained.

My husband and I came in to attend a wedding. First thing at check in, we were given a better rate than the one stated when I made the reservation. Very clean lobby & happy staff. Room was very nice, none of the typical musty smell you so often find in rooms in the humid states. Midway through our stay we were notified of a death in the family and had to leave immediately - the staff was wonderful for an immediate check-out, and even helped us load up the car!! True Southern Hospitality!

While staying at the Best Western in Auburndale on business, it was so nice after a long day to be greeted by Jimmy! What an asset this location has in him. He showed kindness, respect and true hospitality. That's the way it's done. As an HR professional I would hire him on the spot! Thank you Jimmy in helping me navigate an unfamiliar area and, well, for just being a true professional! Would come back here just because of his hospitality. Rooms are clean and cozy, bed ok. Beakfast free and very good. Great Internet.

We stay at this hotel once a year now that it's here. I am overall pleased with this hotel. The first time we stayed it was brand new. I did notice the cleaning staff had not dusted the fixtures in the room when I picked up the clock next to the bed to set the alarm the clock was dusty. I did report it and I'm sure it will be fixed. Staff are nice.

I usually stay at this hotel three to four nights a week. When I left last week I made reservations for 6-7-8-9 November. I was rolled from the job. I called on the 6th and told them I would not be there. I was told "no problem, we will see you on your next visit. Tonight, November 9th I was working in a different location. When I tried to check in, to my surprise my card was declined. This was because Best Western Auburndale charged my personal credit card. I pay with a CLC(corporate lodging card) when I stay there. Now I know why they require a personal credit card. You pay whether you stay there or not. When I called to inquire about the charges I was told there was nothing I could do about it. Only one thing is certain about this. I will sleep on the ground before I stay at this place again.

Very pleased at how great the staff was. We needed directions to somewhere and they printed out by a staff member for us. Breakfast was a great variety, something different each day ( we're here 3 days)

I like this location as it is near my family and would stay more often if I could get an established rate. I have asked the manager for this but have not received an answer. The staff is very helpful and accommodating with all needs. The hotel is very well kept, clean rooms, comfy beds.

This place was fantastic! Best-Western Auburndale, Florida, deserves the highest praise for such an outstanding facility! We will ALWAYS choose to stay here when traveling anywhere near this location because it is so wonderful. We've stayed at a lot of hotels but this was one of my favorites ever I can't tell you how much I appreciate the super clean rooms the friendly service always with a smile and the family friendliness of the hotel itself thank you so much!

The room was perfect, clean and bigger than expected. Personnel service and the complimentary breakfast was great. There are restaurants, baseball complex, gas, convenience stores, etc very close to the hotel. The only thing I see as an opportunity is the fitness center because it is small and doesn't have equipment for weight lifting.

Pillows are half the size of regular ones and super soft, water pressure is horrible. Other than that, staff and hotel is a 20 minute drive from Legoland. Good place to stay, tasty breakfast. Jimmy and Amber at front desk super friendly!

The hotel and our room were immaculate and the Staff were very friendly, professional and welcoming. Would have given 5 stars but the breakfast consisted of premade foods that left much to be desired. There also aren't many nearby places to eat that aren't fast food. Otherwise a great place to stay.

We had a company event at this location. The staff made everything so easy. They more than accommodated us and our needs. No request was too big or small. The meeting room was set up perfectly. They ensured we had everything we needed. Everyone was very friendly and professional.

While the hotel was decent looking, there was(I assume) dried blood on the bed sheets, as it was deep red. The "suite" was nothing more than a loveseat added where they removed a bed. Overall I don't feel I would go back.

Very close to the Soccer and Baseball fields for tournaments (under 5 minutes). NIce hotel, very clean. Booked the room thru the WABA baseball recommendations so the rate was decent. Chili's and a Papa Johns right across the street which is convenient.

good hotel but they charge me high rate during hurricane. other hotels in the area did not jack up the rate. i had to evacuate and the rate was 50% higher This was very bad for me who stays in hotels in the area i changed to another hotel charging normal rate..

Due to hurricane Matthew we were on mandatory evacuation. We found many hotels sold out. We choose the Lakeland area and this motel had availability, so we booked the room directly with the hotel. I will NEVER return to this hotel even if it was the last room available, I'd drive all night to find another room, if I had to . The pool area was a great refuge to get some fresh air when it wasn't raining.

Upon leaving Disney's Vero Beach resort due to evacuation from the hurricane, I went online to find a hotel in Central Fla. for 2 nights. This Best Western had rooms available. We had a beautiful 2 room suite with 2 T.V.s. 1 for me and the other for hubby. Their breakfast in the morning was good and the staff were accommodating. There was a pool as well that I took advantage of when the weather was nice. When you are in the Auburndale, Winter Park Area this is a great place to stay. If you are an American Legion or Moose member, there are lodges right on a lake about 6 miles from this hotel. Some good BBQ joints as well nearby.

If I was to nit pick, I would like it if they 4 hand carts for luggage instead of the 2 carts they had. It would help checking in & out faster. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay. The stores and places to eat were abundant and good. Everything was easy to find. I would go back and would recommend it to anyone.

Clean. Nicer than I expected for the price. Friendly service. . Halfway between Lakeland and Winterhaven. 20 mins from Legoland. Great widely varied complimentary continental breakfast. Uncomfortable - extremely firm bed that seemed smaller than the King I reserved.

We have visited the Auburndale area 4 times since 2006 and we have always stayed here. The staff is wonderful, professional, and courteous. Whether I needed flowers from a good local florist to more recently being helpful in correcting a 3rd Party booking problem. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is quite good and the coffee and tea that is always available 24/7 is very convenient and tastes good too. We look forward to staying here when ever we are in the area.

This was our second stay at this hotel in Auburndale. It is clean, quiet, and the staff is friendly. Our first stay we had a king suite that was one of the best I've ever had!! We just a queen room this time but it was adequate and again very clean. Breakfast is standard hot food, all kept warm and neat with plenty available. We will stay again.

I normally stay at Hiltons, but the price of this was almost half of the Hampton Inn in Lakeland. Therefore, I decided to give it a try. It was fine. I really have no complaints. The breakfast was almost comparable to the Hampton Inn and the room was fine. The only downside is that there are more restaurants and better restaurants near the Hampton Inn on Polk Parkway in Lakeland. The AC was loud and the TV continually pixalated (SP??). In fairness, I never let them know about the TV.

Really one of the worst hotel experiences we've had in a while. We arrived Friday evening and the hotel attendant just wasn't very attentive. When we arrived there was no one at the counter and we had to wait about 5 minutes tired from the day of travel. We finally were checked in the room. The room itself was clean but the bathtub seems like it is going to drop one of us through the floor. It sounded as if nothing was underneath and with each step a deafening groan taunted our potential demise into the floor below. Not to mention when turning the tub off it was so difficult you had to turn with all your might and the handle would separate from the wall. Now to breakfast when we checked in Friday evening the attendant told us breakfast was at 6am...which is true during the week. Saturday it opens at 7 so we waited and I'm sad we did. All bread items were stale. The timer on the waffle maker was busted, thank goodness we can count for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. I will say the coffee was hot and they had Nutella packets so that was good. Since we had a short stay that was our extent of the use of the hotel...come to checkout at 5am and what do you know, there is still nobody at the counter. We made ourselves some coffee, call out a few times in attempt to entice them back to work and when nobody magically appears we leave our room keys on the counter and head out. Hopefully whoever is working gets the idea that we needed to check out. If you aren't going to have a person sitting at the front desk at all times I highly suggest getting a buzzer so we can reach them where ever they may be hiding. I do not recommend for any business officials who actually have places to be.

When we go to visit family, this is our hotel of choice. It is centrally located between Orlando & Tampa. The staff is very friendly and the rooms and lobby are clean. The complimentary breakfast is good and starts at an hour which allows you to start the day early. The rates are reasonable. In the many times we have stayed at this location, there has not been any issues and my family has always felt safe. The overall experience at this location is very good.

This hotel hosted our entire Soccer Team for a weekend. Paul and Jessica were outstanding. Paul made sure the entire breakfast area opened early to accommodate our early game schedule. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Jessica also helped us in the evenings to make sure we were taken care of in the lobby during our gatherings. We will be back!!!

Overall my day was quite good. However my air conditioner was broke in the living room part of my suite,the TV didn't work in the living room area as well and I had no ironing board. Even though I had these small issues, the staff was super curious and there to help me through everything

Staff was so nice, very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was not bad at all, and it was about 20 min from legoland. I would defiantly stay there again when I return to the area next year. Close enough to things to do wihout being in he middle of it.

Third floor isle was very hot, no A/C...room had some humidity smell and A/C did not cool that much, other than that, the location was perfect, breakfast was nice, rooms were reasonably clean, fridge a bit noisy and bathroom was ok.

Staff were very kind, our family had traveled down from NC to attend a funetal.Amber printed out directions to the funeral home and Jimmy attended to all our needs.We had called from I-4 wanting directions to the property and he led us right to the motel.

The front desk guy Paul was very friendly and welcoming and made sure we had a great stay! The breakfast was very good and they have a waffle maker. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean

Not worth the money and stay need a/c that works and that will cool a room I couldn't sleep because the room was to hot and to pay 109 dollars for a half a night was stupid but I need to sleep and didn't even get that

I liked that they have cups and glasses available in the room unlike hampton and marriot. beds were comfy and the location was very quiet and peaceful.. kinda long way to legoland though but for the price its worth the drive atleast for me. staff from the breakfast room and house keeping are friendly I met some of them. front desk not too friendly but not all of them. the black lady doesn't even smile. all in all it was nice and I hope all of their branches are the same like auberndale

Was here on business. Enjoyed my stay and the staff was great. My room was perfect bed felt like my own housekeeping did a good job. I Would like to thank Housekeeping, Lucy, Ana and Carol. Thank you Best Western Auburndale.

We chose this BW because of the close proximity to Legoland which was our primary reason for this visit to the area. We are platinum BW reward members and usually try to choose this chain when we travel if possible. There were definitely some pros other than location. The rooms were clean, spacious, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Depending on your priorities, this may be enough to warrant your stay here. My disappointment went a little beyond the room and bedding. We arrived late in the evening, and when we found out the pool was still open, we let the grandchildren swim for a while before bed. The pool area was clean and they enjoyed their swim, but only half of the lighting around the pool was working making half of the pool pitch dark. That leads to my second disappointment. When we came in for showers, the plumbing in the tub was loose and literally felt like it would come out of the wall. Lastly, the breakfast area was very large, opening up to an extra seating area when busy which was great! The area was clean, the food was good and the attendant kept the area well refreshed. The selections were very limited compared to most BW's and we made a trip to the grocery store to supplement the lack of options. Overall, this wasn't a bad stay, but it just wasn't up to the standards we are accustomed to with BW. If these cons, aren't important to your stay, I recommend you give it a try, but we will probably seek lodging elsewhere if we are back in the area.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. What a disaster! The room smelled of mold, mildew, and musty. Also the floors were filthy to the point of turning black. If you have respiratory problems, this is NOT the hotel for you! We were there for a family reunion and other members staying at the Auburndale Best Western expressed the same opinion.

I stayed at the Best Western for a Florida family trip I had planned for my family, Everything at the hotel was good the only problem we had late at night was when the elevator stopped working. I myself came down the stairs to try and see what the problem was but there was no one at the desk and a group of people I decided to just go back to my room and come back later. When I did come back I'm assuming I came at wrong timing because it seemed like the front desk girl that was working was getting in trouble for not being at the desk by I'm assuming another employee or management I didn't want to make any matters worse so I went back to my room. and called down 30 minutes later and I was informed that the elevator people will be there soon. So I left it at that and woke up the next morning to a working elevator and great breakfast from the best western. The breakfast lady Lucy was so nice and made sure everyone was happy before leaving that breakfast room. I checked out with a young lady Ana, I let her know that me and my family enjoyed our 2 night stay here at the best western and she Thanked me and gave me one of the trip advisor cards and asked me to give the hotel a review and this is the reason I'm here giving my review. I also asked her about the $50 gift card and she explained it to me and asked if she could enroll me in the best western rewards program I said sure and she gave me my temporary card number at check out that was very kind of her to do. The room was nice and very clean the a/c didn't really give any cool air but it did it's job for the wife and kids. And the staff was all good to me and my family next time we plan another Florida trip I would not mind staying at this property again. THANK YOU BEST WESTERN STAFF

We have stayed at this hotel before. Great location , about 25 mins to Legoland . They offer a free hot breakfast. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Great hotel for a mini vacation . The hotel is close and located to a few restaurants. There is also a Walmart close by.

Nice reasonably priced hotel. Nothing special just a great value hotel. The housekeeping crew did do an exceptional job. When they cleaned the room they also stood up all of my sons action figures by the tv and folded his personal blanket. It was something unexpected and nice. Good to see people still care about their jobs and provide good service.

Everything at this location is maintained and the staff was very pleasant. Price was reasonable and the location of Legoland wasn't that far. There are a few eateries close by but for a short drive there is just about anything you need. We ate at Chili's across the street wouldn't recommend it, could have just been an off day.

We were on the 2nd floor next to the elevator and never did we hear it. The hotel has had a facelift since I was there a few years back. The staff was very accommodating. Ms. Lucy in the breakfast room is AWESOME. We were there to spend time with my granddaughter who just had brain surgery a few weeks ago and didn't feel like getting up. Lucy was able to provide a "lid tray" for me to use to serve her "breakfast in bed". Ms. Lucy went above and beyond, all of her breakfast trays had been used, but she found something we could use. Ms. Lucy, you made our day!

This was an overall terrible stay. Check-in was smooth. We got to our room and it was an 'accessible' room, which we didn't request. I feel for those who actually need it because there was nothing accessible about this room at all. You had to hold the sink faucet down to get water, and when you take your hand off it stops. How is someone supposed to use this if they are a child or have arthritis? The shower area TRIED to be a roll-in shower but failed miserably. There is a 1.5" lip that would prevent a wheelchair guest from getting into this supposedly accommodating shower. There's no place to put toiletries in the shower besides the built-in shower stool. Are we supposed to use this stool where everyone else's butts have been? The sleeping area was clean and had a nice cold refrigerator. Our room shared a wall with the lobby, and the hotel allowed a group of loud guests to congregate there for HOURS. By 11pm I lost it and contacted the front desk. The walls are paper thin. You could clearly hear conversations in the next room and out in the hallway. The next day we went out and returned at 8pm. Our room hadn't been touched by housekeeping. I called the front desk to ask for towels. They told me they were out.of.towels. A few minutes later they “found” some towels, but we had to go and get them ourselves. Lots of blunders and nobody seemed to care. Not one apology or attempt to make it right. I have no idea how this place has an 'excellent' rating of any kind. Baffling.

Would like to see breakfast extended to at least 10 am. And updated beds as they are hard and uncomfortable. Front desk service could be a little more friendly and engage with the guest. The rooms are so clean i trust to walk on the floor with my bare feet which is something that i do not do at any hotel.

If you're visiting this area or its nearby attractions, the Best Western Inn & Suites is hands down the best place to stay. This hotel is located very close to the highway systems so access to nearby cities and amusement parks is quick and convenient. There are many stores and restaurants easily within less than a 5 mile radius. The hotel is very welcoming and the staff pride themselves on cleanliness, courtesy, and service excellence. The room we stayed in was immaculate and spacious. We were even able to fit two cots so that our daughter and nephew could have a sleepover during our stay. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The kitchen attendant Lucy was exceptional. The breakfast bars were always well stocked, the food was great, and the kitchen was exceptionally clean. The staff were very friendly and courteous and they made us feel like we were right at home. The only thing that made us unhappy about our stay was leaving. I'm so pleased that Auburndale has a nice hotel that we can stay at every time we go to visit our family. A very special thanks from our family to Lucy, Idelsi, Frankie, Paige, and all of the other staff members of Best Western that we had the pleasure of meeting during our stay. Keep up the great work guys and we hope to be back again soon!

While Legoland Fl is at Winter Haven, we decided to stay a few miles away at Auuburndale when we visited. The Best Western is fairly new, is situated a short distance from restaurants, and within a 15 minute drive to Legoland. Add a free breakfast, clean rooms and moderate rates, and it's a solid choice. Our granddaughter would have preferred to stay in the park's on site hotel, but with our budget we were very happy at a fraction of the cost.

Very nice hotel, clean, friendly, good prices and good breakfast to start us on our way. If staying with a family has a nice outdoor pool and lounge chairs around it. But if you have toddlers I did not see a baby pool.

Great King size suite! We were a little shocked at the size, however we managed. Good fast food all around us and less than 5 miles to Legoland, YAY! We will definitely stay here the next time we are on our adventure. Happy travelers :-)

First impressions are everything. Front desk could be friendlier, or friendly at all. My room was huge, it was 2 rooms with a king size bed. Breakfast was decent, waffles, oatmeal, gravy biscuits, egg disks, cereals, breads, coffee was ok.

Very friendly & helpful staff. Housekeeping manager went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied with our room. We needed extra pair of pillows & they brought them to us. We also needed a couple of more towels and they brought them to us. Breakfast was very good. Everything was very good.

I convinced myself that this was a great place to stay ONLY because it was so close to the FYSA soccer fields but I cannot of sound mind continue to stay there. The "concierge" is quite the opposite of that and the service is the pits even when paying close to $200 per night. I would rather pay in time and gas to stay in Lakeland and enjoy my stay.

Really nice place to stay when going to legoland. It is 25 minutes from legoland. Considering the hotels around the park and the prices, this is the best value. Two main problems were that we got a room the someone smoke in it and the heavy use of bleach didnt help. Also, locals use the hotel pool which does not add to its appeal. Other than that, a really nice chain hotel. Good breakfast as well.

I stayed at the Best Western Auburndale for business. They were very accommodating. Everything I asked for they had including breakfast free of charge. Check in process was quick and easy. They have a listing of local restaurants in the area. Check out was ok took the lady about 2-3 minutes to come but it was ok guess she took a bathroom brake because there was a sign up. My stay was good and I will be returning soon for my family Legoland trip.

I had to stay at this hotel because there was no availability anywhere else. They the overcharged because of a local function, that would of been ok but the place was below standard and was very noisy. I will not stay at this hotel again, the whole point of a hotel is to sleep.

Worst night ever in a motel anywhere. Not what I expected for the price of the room. Not accommodating at all even though we expected a motel with handicap accommodations or even an elderly person. Had to bring luggage in via own wheelchair, the same when we left the motel. Not acceptable for handicap at all.

Lucy is a total asset to your hotel efficiency! Kind, helpful, more than an employee. She was continually watchful over breakfast buffet to be certain all foods were plentiful and available to guests every day. She is top notch as her job. Best we've seen. Also, desk staff was excellent. Available within seconds no matter time of day. We stayed at this hotel almost a month because of being displaced from our home due to a major water/flood issue. The staff was our family away from home. Also, room attendants very good!

This is a nice hotel but a 2 star at best. Very cheaply made with minimum breakfast and eating area. If you have a sofa bed, there are no extra pillows for it. It is a little difficult to get to and not lit well at night. For almost $200 a night for a one bedroom suite, we would not stay here, again.

Great hotel to spend the night at before going to Legoland, which is about 15 minutes away. A little noisy, floors are not insulated and you can hear kids and people running at all times of night. Good breakfast, big rooms and overall a great hotel!

Stayed with family for spring college baseball tournaments. The team also stayed at this hotel, and the staff were accommodating to all the students and parents/family. Modern, nice lobby. Small breakfast room, but adjoining meeting room for overflow and team meetings. Limited options for breakfast, but wasn't a problem. Outdoor pool just a small rectangle, but was plenty for adults and kids to sit outside and enjoy sunshine. Rooms were average - two double beds, not super comfy but acceptable for few days. Decent size bathroom for 3 of us to spread out all our toiletries. I wish there was a closet door to put things away, helpful especially when multiple people in a room. Also another luggage rack - we were using every space available to put bags and it felt cluttered. Mini fridge wasn't cold after 2 days, we asked to have fixed and found a new one there next day. Rooms were quiet - which is hard when a whole team of boys are staying down the hall. Very pleased with private feeling of room. Good location - easy drive to Winter Haven or Lakeland restaurants and multiple ballparks. Not lot of good food options close to hotel - some fast food, Chili's chain, etc. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Came to Florida to watch my Grandson play baseball.This Best Western was close to the ball fields that he played on.I did not care for the price I felt it was a little high.The staff was helpful with directions and care of the room.The breakfast was good.

Close to soccer complex. Limited dining options nearby. Friendly staff though and comfortable beds. Unfortunately the waffle machine was broken and that was a big disappointment for the soccer team pre-game.

This is a very good property in a convenient location for my needs. I always get great service here. There is complimentary breakfast and two desk tops with printers if you need them. There are plenty of dining and shopping choices nearby.

Good location and nice, clean hotel. Room was good sized and the area was quiet. there are a few fast food restaurants nearby and has easy access to coca cola in Auburndale. Breakfast was average nothing special but the employees were very helpful

I stayed in a suite. I liked that French doors separated the bedroom area from the sitting area. The room was very large and clean. It also had a separate sink and refrigerator and microwave. The sleeper sofa wasn't comfortable but I haven't found one that is! I would definitely stay there again. It was conveniently located--close to a Chili's and a Beef O'Brady's.

We asked for adjoining rooms on check in and were told that they did not exist in this hotel. When we opened our hotel room door we realized that one of our rooms did have an adjoining door. I called the front desk and the young lady said that she did not know how to open them and that's why they were unavailable..... The breakfast was ok and the rooms were somewhat clean.

Very nice Best Western hotel near Auburndale. Nice rooms. Good roads in and out (toll road on some of the routes, but there are a lot of non-toll options). A lot to do in the area besides Disney & Universal.

If you're looking for a decent solid value hotel in the Polk County area (about 20 minutes northwest of Legoland), this is probably your best choice as other comparable class hotels in Winter Haven or closer to Legoland are more expensive. Check-in was smooth and the Hotel didn't seem to get much business on the night I stayed. In fact, every time I came down to the front desk area, the staff was hiding in the back somewhere although they would come out when you set off a motion alarm next to the snack stand. The rooms were in decent shape with the expected appointments and the hotel was in walking distance to various eateries. Overall, a thumbs up for this Best Western.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms kept very clean by Idelsis (cute) and Benny. Thanks to the whole staff. Everyone there should get a raise for being so nice. The breakfast set up was excellent and clean a little beyond of continental.

I stayed in the hotel last week for a big soccer tournament held a few miles away. We had over 50 guys staying the hotel. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful - the maids, the desk and the managers were all great in accommodating our group with special requests. Frankie was awesome as he set up special room for us to eat and watch some soccer on a big screen projector. He set it up especially for us. The breakfast set up was excellent and clean and the maids dealt with our daily "soccer mess" with good cheer. Thanks to the whole staff here. It's a basic hotel, so don't expect 5 stars, but it's very nice, has a small, heated pool and accomplishes what you need. Everyone there should get a raise for being so friendly.
