This hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly staff. They have a solid breakfast. This hotel is only 5 minutes to downtown. Our group is looking forward to going back. They have a gas fire pit. It's nice to hangout there after a long day of hiking .
The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean, and the breakfast had so many different and fresh options. Didn't get to utilize the indoor pool, but that option being available definitely peaked my interest. Definitely would stay here again!
I can't say enough about this true boutique hotel. Location, rooms, decor, staff, bed and pillows, bath, shower, most of all cleanliness. A+. Make sure you visit Creekside pub right around the corner. It's where the locals go. You'll have great food and drinks and most of all a fun time. Say hi to Luke the owner. You'll find him tending bar and serving tables. Just a great personal guy!
We ended up staying at this hotel for a few nights. It was so comfortable and it was decorated with bright colors. The shower was better than my own at home!! The breakfast was really good and the employees were very nice. We will definitely stay here again!!
I love how clean and comfortable the room was with a window looking into greenery. The bed reminded me very much of my own and there were plenty of pillows to make myself completely comfortable. The buffet was well stocked and organized, unlike a lot of hotels that won't replenish the hot items like eggs and potatoes. Loved the variety and gluten friendly options. The hotel is convenient to downtown Asheville so it was just right for not being inside the city but near enough to have everything that I wanted accessible. While everything was great, more importantly the staff was very friendly, and the effort the they made in making possible my request to be out of the way of high traffic areas and facing the greenery was awesome - I was there to get a lot of rest and this was the most important part of my stay. I recommend this hotel and will stay again when I am in the area for sure.
I've traveled all over this country for business and stayed in a lot of motels and in my opinion this is one of the best. It's not a 5 star property, but it's just barely under that type of motel. I'm not sure if the motel is new, but it may be. The location is very convenient. The Biltmore and other attractions are around 3 miles away. The room and bath were very clean and well maintained (Like New). It is nice to have a room where the A/C is quiet and does not rattle. The thermostat takes the temp down to your desired temp (many don't) and will freeze you out if that is your desire. The pillows and bed are very comfortable (just like home). The shower is great. It's hard to get out once your are in with the rainhead shower head. The hot water never ran out. The HOT breakfast was great. There was a good variety to pick from. Fruit, cereal, biscuits & gravy, eggs, sausage. Overall, this has got to be one of the best places to stay in Asheville. And for the money, it might be the best.
I stayed at this property for one night while in town for work. Check-in was quick and the lobby was spacious and clean. The room itself was very modern with a good layout. Overall, it was fairly clean but could have been cleaner in some areas that had dust build up and stains. The walls were pretty thin as well, as I could hear the neighbors taking most of the evening. Overall, it's close to being a really nice hotel and I would stay here again.
The hotel was clean and beautiful and the staff were helpful and friendly. The ONLY complaint I have concerns their policy on dogs. We love dogs, but we chose this hotel because we have allergies and they have a no-dog policy. We counted at least 2 guests that had dogs in the hotel.
The front desk workers were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise! There was variety and everything was fresh and hot. We were touring Biltmore and the hotel was about a ten minute drive away. Perfect!
One of the best Hotel experiences I've had in a while. Pool was awesome, work out facilities were above average, breakfast was above average, room was clean and felt roomier than other hotels. Front desk was kind, courteous and went above and beyond for things we needed. The only complaint was lack of gluten free items at breakfast but other than that amazing!
The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. The room was clean and has all the amenities you need. Check in was simple, fast with a friendly reception. Breakfast was good as you usually get which is satisfactory for us when on the road. Easy off and on the highway. Will definitely return to Asheville and stay at the Glo.
Such a nice hotel; the shower, the water pressure, the bluetooth speaker, the seamless wifi, the TV, and of course the breakfast! I sat in front of the firepit and time just flew by. The staff was very friendly and even though I was there for work it was a nice getaway.
This hotel was so nice. Staff was great food was amazing. My son loved the pool. Door dash was easy to get. The shower was amazing. The beds were so soft The pillows fluffy. Nice tvs fast internet. Was able to get work stuff done with no problem. They even have printers in the lobby. Over all this place is great for the price.
I believe in giving a place a second chance! About 3 years ago I stopped at this establishment on my way to South Carolina. The attendant on duty was very rude and distant when I asked about selected eateries! I also felt a cold shoulder when I checked out the next day! This time I had a very pleasant stay with the help of George and Shayla! Both were very friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable about the eateries in the area! This makes a big difference when you have been driving 6-7 hours and want to be provided information about the restaurants close by! Shayla did recommend Door Dash , stating she is a real foodie! I had a room on the 4th floor ; very quiet: The only concern is that the mattress was a little too soft!
We were made to feel like royalty. The room, facilities, and the the staff were amazing. The bed was very comfortable. Best night sleep in our entire trip. The location was very convenient and easy to locate. We will choose this place next time we travel in this area.
We love Best Western and this one was no exception. Glo has a very neat modern design and the room looked very clean and inviting. The breakfast was good and even had some local jam that was delicious! We did not use the pool but it looked nice and clean. Glo is very centrally located for all of downtown Asheville activities. I would definitely stay here again.
We stay at the Glo of Asheville on business, often. Wonderful rooms, great natural views of the forest from upper floors, EV charging stations, daily housekeeping, clean and modern, 6 minutes to downtown Asheville, and reasonable prices. But most of all the staff is A+, particularly Eddie, who is always helpful and attentive to all our needs.
Eddie was extremely helpful in getting us checked in at GLO despite the fact that we had inadvertently made reservations at a nearby hotel. Eddie was the most helpful checkin person I've ever dealt with in my 70 years of domestic and world travel1
We stayed in an accesible room that was spacious for using a walker & a wheelchair. The breakfast room was very nice with a good selection and always clean. the staff at the desk was very helpful.
"My stay at Glo Hotel was exceptional, largely due to Shayla at the front desk. When I called for directions, Shayla provided clear and precise instructions that made finding the hotel effortless. Upon arrival, her warm smile and welcoming demeanor made me feel instantly at home. Shayla not only ensured a smooth check-in but also went above and beyond, offering fantastic suggestions for local attractions and activities both nearby and further afield. Her knowledge and enthusiasm truly enhanced my stay and made it unforgettable. Thank you, Shayla, and the team at Glo Hotel, for your outstanding hospitality!"
This was our first time at a GLO Hotel, so I did have some concerns prior to staying there. However, this hotel was one of the nicest we have ever stayed at. I loved the modern spacious room and bathroom, and I can't wait to stay at one again. The breakfast and lobby area are also great.
Clean, cool temps, modern vibe, lots of pillows and a soft mattress for a deep sleep, great free breakfast, fair price for a quality comfortable stay. Minutes from downtown Asheville. In short, comfortable without the insanely high prices downtown.
This hotel is just great! The rooms are exceptionally clean and well suited for business travelers as well as family members. We make it a point to stop here anytime we come through. The staff is always friendly and the breakfast bar is among the best I've ever seen. No one goes alone, and the staff here make it easy to feel at home. From the seating area by the open fire pit to the indoor pool or the gym, they keep it clean and comfortable. The Glo is a standard stop for our family.
Great attentive staff. Property was clean, fresh and modern. This was our fist stay at a GLo and we were very impressed.
We booked at this hotel for my niece's graduation because other family members were planning to stay here. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a clean-looking modern design. We loved the spacious shower. I thought the bed was comfortable, but my pillow was amazing. Breakfast was a real highlight, with many delicious options in a bright, open dining area, and you don't have to be a super early-bird to enjoy it. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. When we requested extra towels, they were brought up very promptly. We only stayed two nights, so we declined housekeeping service, but a note was left to make sure we meant to leave our door hanger up for a second day in a row, which was nice.
We've stayed in this hotel before and we really like it. The decor is art deco and a little eclectic. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the room is spacious. The location is close to downtown and shopping. Breakfast was very good and well supplied. The Keurig coffeemakers in the room is a nice touch. The staff is friendly and helpful. We'll stay again on a future trip to Asheville.
This is not a "traditional" 5-star hotel review like I would give for a Ritz-Carlton or some other luxury hotel. Glo earned 5 stars because it delivered what it advertised/promised: a nice room, a nice lobby, a good/convenient location, a very good breakfast, a friendly staff, and a reasonable price. That's what I was looking for because I spent most of my time away from the hotel. I would definitely go back if in Asheville again.
Excellent Hotel, fantastic staff, great rooms that are clean and well kept. Clean and very well working bathrooms. Breakfast has a great selection for everyone's taste. Close to many restaurants and just a short drive to the interstate. I will definitely come back.
The bed was super comfortable and the rooms very amazing. Loved the architecture and design. However, the colors of blue and gold might not fit the decor. The staff were very professional, courteous and friendly. Our overall experience was wonderful!
My daughter and I drove up to Asheville, NC to attend a concert and we stayed at the Best Western Glo Hotel. It was one of the BEST overall hotel experiences either of us have ever experienced! From the tasty, fresh breakfast, to the beautiful decor and cleanliness of the room, to ALL the hotel staff we interacted with and the location to uptown and so many convenient places in Asheville. Superb!!
This hotel room had view mountains. The showe had large shower head and verbena soap products that you squeezed to use them. Bottled water was provided with coffee and flavored milk. The beds were very comfortable with six fluffy pillows. The breakfast was exceptional and breakfast area large enough to seat thirty people. There was a round aquarium up to ceiling in breakfast area with beautiful tropical live fish. Cleanliness of hotel was everywhere. The indoor pool area and fitness area was well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and will return when we visit Asheville NCagain. The staff was friendly and welcoming also.
We recently had a two night stay at this hotel during the week. I was traveling with my senior mother on a vacation. Over all it was a good stay and we both agreed we would stay there again, especially for the price paid. Pro's: *Parking felt plentiful *Nice lobby/sitting area *Close to multiple fast food or sit down food *Rooms felt spacious *Night staff and house keeping we're very friendly *Breakfast provided sugar free jellies and syrup *Mini fridge was great *Loved having a Keurig in the room *Value of cost Neutrals: *Never found the pool/fitness room/guest laundry and staff provided no information on these items . *Quality of breakfast is quite subjective. Eggs were quite water for our preference and meat seemed undercooked/or meh. *Water pressure was simply ok *No hand held shower head as shown in photos online *The TV coloring was off so white looked purple. Not a big deal.... But noticable Cons: *Only one desk chair and a weird bench in the room no soft seating *Lighting in the room lacks... Well light *Be careful in the first disabled parking spot, it's super easy to trip on the curb up to the walkway.
It's probably one of the best deals out there for a clean, modern hotel in Asheville. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The location is East Asheville with access to lots of restaurants near Tunnel Road. Also, not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway and Chimney Rock.
Beautiful hotel, great value, extremely clean. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Clean, fresh room, comfortable beds and the shower was amazing! Breakfast was very good, with a great selection of food. Pool was clean and accessible. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return when we are in the area!
The hotel is very modern, clean and serves a nice breakfast. The beds were not very comfortable, but to some they may be. My back did not like it! LOL Make sure to double check your Credit Card statement before leaving! I was charged for my stay the day we checked in and then charged again the second day. I didn't realize it until we had gotten back home and my card was over the limit!! I called the hotel and still waiting to hear back from a manager about getting my money back! Not happy about that at all...'0(
This is a fun boutique hotel from the Best Western brand. Walking into the hotel, one can see it's modern and hip looking with dark decor and splashes of bright colors. The staff at check in and check out was friendly and quick. The room was nice looking and modern, but a bit on the small side, so it felt a bit cramped. There was a bright chair in the room, but after sitting on it, it clearly is only to rest things on, not yourself, it was that uncomfortable. To maximize space, a barn door was used as the door for the bathroom and closet. When it is over the bathroom, the closet is exposed, when it is over the closet, the bathroom is open. Barn doors provide zero privacy/sound buffering, other than closing off the space. This brings me to my biggest gripe with the hotel. While hip and fun looking, clearly nothing was spent on sound proofing. My room faced the road, and traffic noise was clear, the room walls were thin, and neighboring conversations were pretty clear, and of course, hallway noise was audible. Fortunately, I have learned to pack a travel size white noise machine, so sleeping was not an issue. There is breakfast at this hotel and it is very good, there were a lot of good choices like fruit, yogurt, bagels, cereal, toast, warm things like sausage and eggs, make your own waffles. I found the location of this hotel great. It is just a short and easy drive into downtown Asheville. I can't say there was any place in downtown that I wished I had stayed, so I'm glad I made this choice.
Hotel was well maintained ,lasat and is in good safe neighborhood. But the internet was totally bad, didn't work Mostly. Shower and bath room design are strange.
Super cool hotel with a modern look and feel but very cozy at the same time. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Lots of choices. Christina that worked in the breakfast area kept everything very hot and so clean. Have never had such hot food on a breakfast bar like this. Outside had chairs around a fire pit which was really neat. Very nice fitness room. Great room with big screen TV, comfy bed and awesome shower. Very good value for the money.
My family and I all four stayed in the same room (2 double beds). This is an extremely clean establishment and the front desk we're nothing but helpful! The room was very put together and had enough space for all our bags and accessories. Very close to all our destinations. Breakfast was good as well. Definitely recommend staying here!
The beds were extremely comfortable, the rooms were clean and exceptionally modern and updated. The decor of the entire hotel was impressive. Even the pool area was quaint. The location is perfect for exploring the Asheville area and was less than 15 minutes from everywhere we went. The breakfast surpassed my expectations for a hotel breakfast and the coffee, tea, and juice available around the clock made for a convenient stay. All in all I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will be staying again.
The glow is a great looking hotel. As you enter in the lobby, you feel like you're in this sophisticated environment. Everything was clean and new. The front staff were extremely friendly. Our room was nice and clean and spacious. The bathroom was also very clean… which is very important to me. The breakfast buffet was very good and had a lot of options. I would definitely stay at the glow in Astro North Carolina again!
Always a great stay. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Clean, fresh room. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast. I would recommend Glo, Asheville to all of my family and friends. Front desk staff are the best I've encountered, kudos to all of them.
Very clean newer hotel. Really like no carpet in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had a yogurt machine with fresh fruit. Delicious. I did miss not having a hot tub. Also, cookies at the front desk would have been icing on the cake.
This place is more upscale than the price allows it to be! The GLō Hotel is bright, clean and colorful; we will be staying here on next pass thru! Our room was inviting, well cared-for and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast is always a bonus while traveling.
This hotel is so clean and state-of-the-art! The breakfast was very well stocked and kept clean. My kids loved the pancake maker. It was very nice to have shampoo, conditioner and body was dispensers IN the shower! We will definitely be back!
THe staff was great and helpful offering good suggestions for dinner. Room was superclean and fresh. Would return again. THe breakfast was one of the better we have had wjth good variety and hot.All staff were friendly and smiling. Parking was great.
Beautiful hotel, great value, extremely clean. Breakfast was very good, pool was clean and accessible. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return when we are in the area! It was very quiet so my partner and I had great sleep
This hotel is Asheville's best kept secret!! It's really REALLY nice! Especially for the price range. The lobby and the rooms are super clean, and it doesn't smell like a hotel. The decor is funky and cool and modern, and it makes you feel like you are staying in a trendy downtown hotel instead of a chain. If this place was downtown, it would probably be like $400 per night, so the only reason I can think of that it is so cheap is that it is a couple minutes drive away from downtown. We looked at a couple other hotels for our weekend stay, but realized we would rather drive 5 minutes and save $300 for our two nights....totally worth it! The location felt safe, right by the mall. Nothing really walkable nearby, but a super short drive to the downtown area. Breakfast was good, with a variety of choices. Staff was super-attentive. The lobby was nice, the parking lot was clean and well lit at night, and rooms were spacious cool looking. Even the back stairway was freshly painted and clean with new carpets! I have been recommending this hotel to all my friends and family for a cheap, nice weekend getaway. We will DEFINITELY be back!!
So I will. My stay was so terrible because it was a fight to even check in - so I walked out - and they have my money for absolutely no room and no service. My pipe burst, my son had a dance to get ready for, but since I was a local to the area, my room was initially denied. Even though I am a member, my address was given with my pre payment that was not refundable. Why take my non refundable money when you had my local address when I reserved the room if you would not honor it? They eventually relented and allowed me to stay but no thank you after that exchange to try to get in the front door. I also booked the wrong night in my stress, booked for the night prior. I was listed as a no show. So, would that night I paid for in the past count to the night I needed, just 24 hours later? Nope. I had to pay for the night I needed again too. I would not give them an extra dollar. Never again. Glo in Asheville, just say NO. Oh! The hotel was just about EMPTY. Availability was not an issue.
I used my Best Western points to book this room. We chose it as it was close to the Biltmore Estate that we were visiting. We were very pleased with this hotel. It had clean rooms, great breakfast and the staff was friendly.
This hotel is almost perfect. They thought of everything. From a wonderful breakfast to electric charging stations for cars. The rooms are nice too. They have modern decor and everything was clean and worked well. I loved the sliding door on the bathroom and the closet. The only thing that could have been better was not having regular computer at the computer station. They had tablets; I prefer something with a keyboard and mouse. They even have charging stations for electric cars for folks that drive them.
Such a great hotel with ease at checking in. Large rooms, very quiet, and great breakfast at a good price. We come here every year at this time and are always glad we did. Also great views. Rooms are very clean and allergy free.
This four story hotel was very clean and new feeling. It has a modern vibe to the decor. Good breakfast. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. Great location. Will definitely stay there again!
We often choose Best Western hotels when we travel, but had never stayed at a GLo property before. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel! The design was very modern, the whole facility was very open and clean, rooms were spacious and bright, and the breakfast was good, too. We would rank it at least as nice as a Best Western Plus property. It had the feel of a Hilton or Hyatt. Very impressed! Will definitely look for other GLo properties when we travel, and would definitely stay here again if we return to Asheville. Highly recommend!
Glo in Asheville NC is my go to place to stay in Asheville. I love the modern look and feel of the hotel and rooms, the staff and the breakfast in the am. I especially love the large walk in showers and large showerheads.
September 15-16, 2023, stayed at Glo in Asheville. We have stayed at other hotels in Asheville, but this has been by far the best. The staff was great at check in and check out, breakfast had everything you would need, bathroom was large including the shower, and bed was comfortable. There was a small refrigerator and a safe. Close to everything we had planned. Only complaint was the one drawer kept drifting open. I reported at check out and hopefully it was fixed. Good value for the money. Will book again when back in Asheville.
A prepaid booked trip was charged $150 for smoking in the room which was false & cameras can attest me smoking In the hotels designated smoking areas, l am an Army veteran who lives by the core values l was sworn by, & to have my Integrity questioned & treated unprofessionally such Injustice will be rectify by a reimbursement, & an investigation ongoing for the hotels false claims would not recommend this establishment
This Glo hotel is just a short distance from downtown Asheville. The interior and rooms look just like the pictures online, which is not always the case. The room was modern, clean, comfortable beds and large bathroom with lots of light. This was my second stay there and would stay again if in the area. The only hiccup was checking out, we always request to split the bill and although they took both credit cards, both charges appeared on my account.
Walking into the hotel, it was super clean and looked beautiful. The employees greeted us and were very friendly. I instantly fell in love with the room and the decor. The bed and pillows were so comfy. My favorite part was the sliding closet/bathroom door. I can't forget how the breakfast was terrific. Anyone who books this hotel try out the sausage & pancakes. You won't regret it, I promise.
Offered everything you could want (Keurig, microwave, refrigerator, safe). Large rooms with a great shower (rain shower head/large shower). One of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at. Staff very professional, polite and helpful. Wonderful greeting with bottled water. Would definitely stay there again!!
I loved this hotel! The room was new and stylish with comfortable beds, the bathroom was roomy and had a great shower in it. The whole stay was wonderful, from the beds to the breakfast. If there was one thing I did not like, it would be the floors were wood and it caused quite a funny puddle when we got back from the pool. The towels from the pool had to stay in the pool area and when we got back to the room, there was water everywhere from us just trying to get changed. And there was no where to hang the bathing suits with no dryers on site. We would have had to walk to the next hotel over to dry our suits. We figured something out but that was the only (very small) issue we had with our room. Would definitely stay here again!!!!
The design was very cool and modern. The room and lobby were Immaculate. The breakfast had lots of options. The room was large. The service people at the front desk were incredibly helpful. Would visit again.
What a hidden gem! We stayed at GLō for four nights and honestly we loved coming back to relax in the room in between activities as it was so nice, clean, and had a beautiful view of the trees behind the hotel. Could not recommend this place more. No complaints at all except that maybe the gym could use some updating but honestly that's me nitpicking. Definitely staying here again!
Stayed at Glo Best Western for four nights...still shocked by excellent quality of this hotel....clean, clean, clean...amazing free breakfast....kind and helpful staff.... minutes to Asheville....a five star hotel without the price tag
The hotel was very clean and all the employees were nice. We were only there for one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer! The room had everything needed (refrigerator, coffee, etc) and it was a comfortable stay.
I found a really good price on Orbitz for a one-night stay a few days before Christmas. Parking was incredibly convenient. There's a gas-powered fire pit by the parking lot. The free continental breakfast is much appreciated, but I've seen a better variety of foods at other hotel free breakfasts. Thankfully, they leave the orange juice and apple juice machine on 24-7. They have some COVID safety practices, but I think there could be more. The woman at the front desk is VERY nice. However, I had one towel that had a red stain on it, and that was a turnoff. I took a photo of the dirty towel, and when I showed it to the front desk, they gave me a small discount. The thermostat is a bit hard to control, and my room was either a little bit too hot or too cold.
One of the best hotels I've stayed at! Very clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helped in any way. Will be staying here again! The breakfast was hot & good. If you are going to stay somewhere, stay here!!
We had to change our rooms three times from a King Bed, to a Double then back to a King Room. The first room was disappointing as the chair in the room was yellow with disgusting dark stains on the chair which was the only seating space outside the bed. It was very small and dark. The lighting is us not much to be desired. We moved to a double which had more space but my husband found dirty items behind the chairs and on the floor. He noticed that someone left a penny behind the chair which is test many manager do for their cleaning crews to check if they are fully sweeping and mopping the floors. That was a fail and another request to change rooms. The last room was another King. I do not like King rooms as they are small unless it is a suite. It was a room that we could sleep in while we were there. Still dim lighting in the room. You have to open the windows during the day to get good bright lights. My husband said that the hotel staff was great to work with. He also tipped both cleaning ladies on the floor before we left. Lobby bathrooms were clean which is a plus. Had the air conditioning unit on the wall that keeps you up at night and makes one person cold that sleeps on that side of the room. No central air.
The hotel was very clean and pleasant. Employees were helpful and courteous. Would definitely stay again! The bedding was comfortable. Outdoor spaces were available to enjoy. We found this hotel online at the last minute.
The location of the hotel was excellent for visiting all of the local attractions, and we felt safe in this location even though we were conveniently close to the interstate. The beds were comfortable, but it would have been nice to have extra real blankets in the room for even more coziness rather than just the plastic-feeling comforter on top. We especially enjoyed the pancake machine and the create your own yogurt bar with all of the toppings for our daily breakfast.
My experience at the Glo Best Western was exceptional! The staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming. My room, the decor and the cleanliness of the overall property exceeded my expectations. I will most definitely return to this property and recommend this hotel to all of my family and friends.
It's a clean hotel, the bed was very comfortable, the room I stayed in nice and quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It's location is close to restaurants and the freeway. They have a full breakfast bar with coffee, eggs, sausage, pancakes, sausage gravy and biscuits, yogurt and fruit.
I was pleasantly surprised by how great this hotel was. We just stayed one night, but will be back to stay longer next time we are in town. The hotel well-decorated with cool modern funky art. It was super-clean! The shower was excellent. The staff was super-nice and helpful. The breakfast was good, with a decent selection. The location wasn't bad - about a 5 minute easy drive to downtown. I have stayed in many hotels in this mid level price range, and this was the nicest one in a while. Two thumbs up!!
Great value for a clean, quite, modern stay. Great room layout and front desk employees really helped us enjoy our visit with helpful suggestions. Convenient to downtown historic area. Free parking in a safe location. Shower and indoor pool was great.
Room was modern and clean. I would have liked some softer pillow options. Location is close to things if you have a car. At the breakfast you can tell they are trying to limit plastic waste and offer some healthier options.
The GLo Best Western is clean, new and modern! My husband and I have stayed here several times and have always been very satisifed with the rooms, the great hot brekfast that is included, the free parking and the professional and courteous staff! We highly recommend the GLo Best Western if you are looking for a great, affordable place to stay, while in the Asheville, NC area!
Our stay at glo best western was a plesant surprize we have sayed at more expenive hotels and had a terrible visit but the glo best western at Asheville was really nice the staff was excellent as was the room and breakfast area we can say we will be back again
rooms are very clean, well furnished, and the bathrooms are great. really like the shower. about the only neg. thing is you can hear people from other rooms, but it wasn't to bad. I like the modern look of the rooms.
Love the new Glo Best Western line. Sharp designs. Room was real nice, if maybe a bit small, but fine for two of us. We used the indoor pool. Breakfast was typical and satisfying. Convenient location less than five minutes from downtown Asheville.
GLo Best Western Asheville Tunnel Road is a very nicely designed hotel. The bright and cheerful furnishings and colors throughout the lobby and in the guest rooms make this hotel anything but ordinary. It is a hidden gem sort of on the outskirts of the hustle and bustle of Downtown Asheville. Rainfall shower heads and a designer's square-shaped sink brings a whole lot of luxury to the bathroom. Guest rooms are also equipped with a microwave, glass-door mini-frig, and in-room safe. The value you get with this hotel far exceeds what you pay. I highly recommend this GLo!
I loved my stay at Glo. It was very clean and modern with a very polite and freindly staff. It's close to downtown and lots of shopping and resturants. Will certainly stay at this hotel again when traveling to visit family in the area. Overall an excellent place to stay and budget friendly for such a nice place.
Very clean and modern hotel with east Y access to downtown, Biltmore, and the Blue ridge parkway. Extremely friendly staff! Good breakfast but I wish they would change it up a little. Very good value for such a modern hotel. Overall I would stay here again.
We stayed here overnight for trip to Biltmore. It was about 10 minutes away from first entrance area to Biltmore. We also went to Omni Grove Inn to see gingerbread displays and it was convenient to that location also. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The check in was quick and efficient. The lady checking me in gave us a map and suggestions for dinner as requested as well as local places to visit in area. The room was clean and spacious. It had a Keurig coffee machine so I brought some hot chocolate for late night. The beds were comfortable and the other couple staying in separate room raved about the shower. I Loved the conditioner in shower. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. They had juices. milk, coffee and hot chocolate to drink. They had fruit, pastries, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and a neat pancake maker with nice toppings for pancakes. Our only complaint was that rooms weren't very soundproof. We could hear people above around midnight walking all around. If we had been on top floor would have been perfect.
Always stay at Glo, wonderful! Great rooms, always very clean and comfy. Staff is professional, always very helpful. Hotel is close to family, so convenient. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Asheville.
On enter entering the hotel I saw a beautiful lobby, the hotel looked great, the food area was clean and full. The room spacious and had 2 areas with tv in each. The bathroom was spacious and the shower great, the sink area-was large. The whole experience was great. The area the hotel is is right off the highway and foodservice in the area is plenty. I would stay there again. The staff made you feel like VIP and that includes the floor room attendant which cleaned the room daily.
Perfect Hotel for our weekend trip to Biltmore. Very convenient location that is close to downtown. The staff was very courteous and efficient. Our room was very clean and everything worked as it should. Will stay again in the future.
My wife and I spend a couple of nights at that hotel. We regularly use Best Western properties but this was our first trial at a Glo hotel, the upper level boutique brand from the same Company. It is supposed to be a 3* place (compared to the regular 2* BW) and the first impression was definitely aligned with expectations. A modern lobby with great modern vibes is welcoming you. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating and the checkin process was fast. The room itself was also very nice with modern furniture and a very comfortable bed. So why only 3 stars? Well, we found 3 quite annoying design flaws. The first one, as reported by other reviews, is the very bad sound isolation. From our room (even with ear plugs!), we could hear every step of the people in the room above our heads! Second, this is the first time in my life (heavy traveler) that I see the bedside lighting switch NOT accessible from the bed. You literally have to standup out of your bed to reach it. Third, the top cabinets on top of the breakfast buffet are as deep as the buffet table itself. As a result, I was bumping my head against that wood cabinet multiple times when bending over to pick up items on the buffet. I am not that tall (6') and it was quite painful. My last comment is about the breakfast selection itself that is 100% identical to the usual Best Western one. This was also quite disapointing as I thought they would at least add a couple of more premium items to make it clear you were at a 3* hotel and not the usual 2* one.
My family enjoyed staying here. Desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room and pool area was very clean. We all enjoyed the awesome breakfast buffet. I look forward to returning early in the spring.
Booked at Glo by Best Western and was not disappointed! We booked because they have an EV charging station (free) and we knew we would need it after traveling a long way. The hotel itself is new and modern, very clean and convenient. We loved swimming in the pool at night and large breakfast bar was a great plus! We were only 5 mins from downtown Asheville for a great price. Highly recommend.
Everything is exceptional! Clean, comfortable, friendly and even the concessions were reasonably priced. We had a 2 queen room, all the normal amenities. Even though the room size is 300 something sq/ft, it feels bigger the the std. 500 something sq/ft rooms I have always stayed in. The layout makes better use of the area making it very roomie. Side note: The décor is visually pleasant: Bright, colorful, it draws your eyes to it. Very large open lobby with attached breakfast area, that is comfortable, well layout. Allowing room to maneuver and choices of seating arrangements.
Nice, clean hotel centrally located. We requested to change rooms because the occupants in the room above us where up pacing walking around at 3:00 am (the rooms have vinyl plank floors) and the management changed our room immediately. The continental breakfast was good. Nice hotel, would stay there again.
This hotel meets the definition of quality in every sense. As an elite rewards member with Best Western, I visit a lot of their hotels. I can tell you that the Glo tier of BW is 3 steps above what you will experience with other BW hotels or even other chains. This hotel sits right next to another BW hotel. But I am sure both are quality and were on my night the same price. The staff were friendly, engaging, helpful in making recommendations for the Asheville area and the room was exceptionally clean, modern and comfortable. I didn't hear noise coming from other rooms and the bed was comfortable. I also appreciated the quality soaps used in dispensers in the shower and the breakfast times were very generous, 6-10 AM. I truly believe this is a top choice hotel for those visiting Asheville.
By far the most beautiful Best Western we've stayed in... bright colors and art work throughout the property. Amazing space in the room, very clean and the rainfall shower with unlimited and amazing smelling shampoo/conditioner/body wash was a welcomed treat after a long day out and about. Breakfast was more than we expected and the staff kept it full no matter the time and amount of folks eating! Front desk staff was very friendly! I seriously hated that we had to leave.... for sure will be back!
Fair price and clean. Breakfast was what you'd expect. Nothing special but it had plenty of options. Coffee was horrible unfortunately. Helpful staff. Young man at front desk recommended a restaurant in the genre we were looking for and it was great. The noice level from just the guests walking above us was very loud, so next time I will request top floor and away from elevators and ice machine!
The Best Western Glo that we stayed in while we visited the Ashville area and Biltmore Estate was perfectly located. The rooms are newly renovated and modern. The swimming pool is heated and very relaxing. The breakfast area as well as the total property is very clean. We give an excellent rate on our experience at the Best Western Glo.
Great hotel. Stayed there multiple times. Never disappoints. Looking forward to the next trip. Clean rooms. Working amenities. Comfy bed. Convenient, easy to get to location. Quick and easy access to downtown, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and other outdoor adventures.
I stay at best western a lot and have to say this was by far the nicest one I have ever experienced! The layout was fun and very functional and the breakfast was above and beyond the usual. I highly recommend!
Times Square pricing with nothing to offer but nice paint and faux hipster decor. It's as cheap as a Bar Rescue makeover. The lack of carpet in the rooms makes the whole hotel an echo chamber. Every footstep above you and rooms beside you make the smallest movements (even toilet movements) amplified like the inside of a bass drum. No restaurant, no bar and nothing in walking distance. As a diamond member of BW, I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. This whole Glo thing is like an old man bleaching his hair and wearing a nose ring to try to be cool. Embarrassing.
We really enjoyed this hotel. It was within 10 min of Biltmore, downtown, and really anything we wanted to do. The pool and gym area was super clean and they even had a Peloton! The kids swam every night. The rooms were modern and clean. All staff members we encountered were nice. The breakfast was pretty good too. The kids loved the pancake machine. The price was very affordable and will stay again.
I love so many things about this hotel; location, cleanliness, great staff… BUT I just can't sleep here. The noise from the guests above you is so loud you can hear every move they make. Not conducive to great sleep. It seems the laminate floors, which I love, are loosening from wear, and make every step audible to the people below z my own floor was creaky in my room, so I avoided the creaky spots as best as possible to try not to disturb the people below mez
We were headed back to Florida trying to avoid Hurricane Ian. As we were traveling this was one of only a few hotels still available. We were glad it was as it was a great experience. The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. The rooms different but great. Loved the shower. And the breakfast didn't disappoint
Great hotel with friendly staff and many amenities. It was very modern, clean and inviting in and out. The rooms are large with very nice bathrooms and well decorated. The breakfast was excellent with fresh made pancakes, fresh fruit and much more. I would highly recommend this hotel.
This is a very nice newer hotel in modern deco. The complete hotel is very clean. The staff is courteous and friendly. The rooms are spacious with double blinds for sun and privacy. The spacious bathroom has a nice step in shower. The amenities are great! Nice pool, workout room & a great breakfast. You can't go wrong with this hotel!
What a great place to stay. Bright cheery colors, wide hallways and spacious rooms. Everything is sparkly clean. Loved the fire pit, the huge windows and the surprise window seat! Disappointed that we were only there for one night!
This was my third time staying at this hotel. All three were excellent experiences , even during COVID. The hotel was very clean and the staff are great. The breakfast is always good and fresh ! This is my go to place.
Our weekend trip was complete with our stay at the GLo Best Western. Location to everything was perfect. Clean, stocked, good amenities and furniture updated. The young lady that checked us in was most helpful and every suggestions she gave for eating, arts area, etc was on point for us. Only downer was you can hear the people above us walking, stomping which was disturbing at bedtime. Also, cable went out so we had no bedtime TV. Otherwise, we will return to Asheville, NC and when we do, we will be staying at the GLo,
We will definitely be coming back. Went to Asheville for a weekend getaway and found Glō on the internet after staying in two places earlier this year. Definitively our hotel going forward whenever we come to town!
This was the first time I had stayed at a Glo, but it will definitely not be the last. This place was everything you look for in an overnight accommodation. It was new and modern, very clean with beautifully designed rooms and lobby. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The hot breakfast was great - lots of choices for all tastes. No complaints. No problems.
I found this hotel by using Google and reading reviews. I feel that I am experienced enough to know when they are real or fake. The reviews from previous people is what really intrigued me... and they were all dead on. Upon walking into the lobby, you are greeted with vibrant colors and a clean fresh smell. The desk agents were so nice and helpful. The room was spacious and the bathroom was astounding. Again, every super clean and fresh smelling. The free breakfast in the morning was delicious as well. They even have a gas fire pit out front where we sat and sipped a cocktail when we got back that night. This was simply one of my best first time stays at a new hotel. AMAZING!!!
I was very impressed with this modern, clean, environmentally conscious hotel and staff. I really enjoyed the swimming pool, the extensive choices for breakfast and surfing the many cable channels. I was able to watch the many US Open tennis matches which I would of missed at home. The ice was clean as well as the room!
Great location (7 min to downtown and 3 min to Whole Foods), clean hotel, clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff. Coffee at the complimentary breakfast could have been better. Easy in and out of parking lot.
Newer remodeled hotel. Very clean room, good location not far from downtown. Rooms are a bit smaller than other similar hotels. Floors are laminate which I liked better than carpet, however the floors do creak a bit at times.
This is my new favorite hotel brand. I've stated at numerous large chain hotels in the past, and the GLO Hotel was excellent. The complementary breakfast was very good, equal to, and exceeded many of the other breakfasts available at chains like Hilton and Marriott. The room was very well designed, very comfortable beds, and was spotless. Hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful.
This trip was a short getaway to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway. The hotel is in an excellent location to travel either direction. The hotel has professional and friendly staff, the room was very clean, and the parking lot is well-lit for enhanced safety.
Great over night stay for a mom and daughter vacation. Excellent service, conditions and clean facilities......very professional staff. Great breakfast selection. Highly recommend and would stay again.
Stayed here for my 60th birthday. Had a great time. The hotel was perfect. Breakfast was wonderful with so many good choices. The shower was the best ever. Plenty of HOT water and great smelling soaps
What a refreshing hotel. They are proof that value and enjoyment can co-exist. Refreshing and comfortable rooms. Staff even tidies room daily. Full breakfast with a fascinating pancake machine. Push one button, it makes two pancakes. No mess.
Great Hotel! Clean and modern. Glo is the gold standard for cleaning. Cleaning staff cleaned our room every day during our 4 day stay. Who else does that in this post Covid world? Only the best of hotels. So Glo Asheville is not only a Best Western, but a BEST OF HOTELS, PERIOD! We'll be back for sure!
Every team member was so kind! I loved the room and so many of the cool amenities including the sweet nook by the window! The indoor pool was perfect for a dip before bed! The breakfast was simple and delicious and I LOVED the fish in the aquarium in the dining area. I am excited to return! Thank you for your hospitality!
Super cute boutique feel. Very clean and spacious. Indoor pool but they let me use the outdoor pool next door at the regular Beat Western which was so needed during the hot days we stayed. Hotelnwas very centerally located with downtown not far and the Blue Ridge the other way. We had a truck and trailer and was able to park between the 2 hotels.
Just perfect for us. Our third time at Glo and it did not disappoint. The lobby smells so good, the rooms are clean and well appointed. The front desk ladies are so kind and helpful. It's a treat to stay there! From the breakfast offerings that are fresh and kept replenished makes it nice to grab a small bite before heading out. The location is prime. Close to local breweries and Biltmore and there are many options near by. We look forward to staying there again very soon.
The hotel was very cute and at a great location. The room was very beautiful and so clean and the bathroom was nice. The room was a decent size with a nice modern see through refrigerator and lots of extra little seating. Beds very comfortable. Only issue was “heated” pool. Very chilly. Another guest actually temp the pool while we were there and made a complaint. So cold. But not enough reason not to stay here. Breakfast was great and staff very friendly!!! Staying again for sure!
This is a very comfy hotel! Very over priced hotel. Front desk checking clerk was not very pleasant. Other than paying $305.00 for 1 night..which trying to be fair was a Saturday night, it was very comfortable room. I try to be fair in my Review to try to help other travelers.
Excellent hotel, staff ,service , beds , breakfast and over all great place along with excellent pet policy and area , very clean and well maintained , Wi-Fi cable and privacy , definitely will recommend and use again thanks
The hotel itself was clean. The room was comfy and clean as well. The breakfast had small omelettes, biscuit and gravy, pancakes, sweets, fruit toppings, bagels and fresh fruit. Coffee 24/7. The staff was super nice too!
We loved our stay here. Oversized shower heads made for a comfortable getting-ready-for -the-day experience, unlike many hotel showers which take forever to rinse your hair. I also thought the blackout blinds were a great touch to help fall asleep at night. Great atmosphere of hotel- very clean and great staff. The only complaint is we heard the people above us walking around all morning starting at 6 am because the floors in the rooms can be quite noisy to the people below. The walking/thumping went on all morning and we lost a 1/2 day of our planned activities because we had to try to fall back asleep. It's not like they were doing it on purpose, their regular walking about just naturally carried down into our room. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel.
To whom it may concern: I booked this hotel as a place to stay after attending a concert in downtown Asheville (8 minutes commute from venue to hotel). I wanted a room that was affordable (for my budget), but one that also looked clean and comfortable, and that's exactly what Glō delivered. The room was spotless and organized, as was the rest of the hotel that I noticed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and plenty of toiletries were provided. The lobby and breakfast dining area were more of the same. This hotel's breakfast was some of the freshest I've had - I was very happy that the food was constantly restocked. The area was very clean and pleasant to eat in. The only downside to this hotel, is that every other hotel in its price range may be a letdown, and I will not find another like it. However, wherever I go, I'll be sure to be on the lookout for a Glō. A satisfied customer.
Glo was such a cute, clean, friendly stay! Staff was professional, helpful and quick! Room was adorable, clean and provided everything we needed in a convenient location in Asheville. The breakfast was nice: everything from eggs (omelets), sausage, pastries, biscuits & gravy, fruit, cereal, bagels: something for everyone! We will definitely come back to Glo next time we're in town!
We have enjoyed our stay for a personal family visit to Asheville area. Very close to Biltmore and other attractions, Nice food choices around. Clean, modern hotel. Enjoyed breakfast with modern gadgets. Friendly, courteous staff. Room was clean and well appointed. Will stay again.
This was my first stay at a Best Western and this new Glo hotel was great. I typically stay at Hilton, Hyatt or Marriott but now I will look for Glo! Excellent service and comfortable clean rooms. Easy access to all sights in the Asheville area.
Glo was a great find! Newly constructed, the property is fresh and clean, with a decor that is lively without being too much. The room was large with a great shower and a magnificent view of the mountains (I said to my wife that it would be fantastic in the fall); the staff were universally pleasant; and the price for the quality of what you get was outstanding for Asheville. We will be staying there on our future visits to my hometown!
This was THE BEST Best Western Hotel we have stayed at (we are members). The room was VERY clean and modern. The beds were extremely comfortable. There were 2 sets of blinds on the windows which made the room very dark at night. Little outside noise, even though hotel is off a busy road. Breakfast was very good. A lot of options. Highly recommend this Best Western.
GLO Best Western was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Asheville! Very clean, great staff and comfy beds! I only wish they varied their breakfast food. That said, the food they did have for breakfast was very good! The hotel is about 5 minutes drive to downtown!
Hotel was very clean, close to everything and front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. This was my second stay at this hotel since it opened and my only issues were with the slow internet and scratchy towels.
Stayed for 2 nights within 3 days. Staff was great. Room was great and breakfast was everything that I could ask for. I know where I'm going to stay on my next visit to Asheville. Loved the rain head shower.
Nice room , clean and quiet room !! For being on a busy street room was very quiet ! Comfortable bed and pillows ! Interesting bathroom with sliding door for entrance . Nice breakfast options . Really like the Glo look ! Staff friendly
This hotel was the first I've ever visited or known about . The parking lot and entrance way was very clean the flowers and grass were well manicured . The Lobby was very clean and very roomy , breakfast are was clean ample seating plenty of choices for food , bright lighting to see and get around . Elevators were clean , rooms were very clean and warm and inviting nice new contemporary furnishings not outdated , bathroom was clean with nice walk in clear shower door bigger shower than normal no tub shower only , the linens were very clean and smelled very fresh . I will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this to anyone traveling thru Asheville N.C. .
This was my second time staying at the Glo Best Western. After the first time I was happy with it which is why I booked it again. I like that there's no carpet in the room. I had spilled some water on the floor and used their white towel to wipe it up and the towel was not dirty. That gave me piece of mind that the room is cleaned properly.
Great place to stay and only a short drive to the many places we wanted to visit. The hotel was very clean and modern, and the front desk staff was very helpful and personable. The breakfast was great...especially the pancake machine. W would definitely stay here again!
My two children and I stayed at the Asheville, Glo Best Western Hotel and we couldn't be more satisfied with our stay! I have been an elite rewards member with The Best Western now for about a year and they have never disappointed, but their Glo hotel took the cake! We had every amenity desired including an awesome complimentary breakfast, clean and well stocked room, convenient store located at the ground floor for any additional items we needed, and a play area at the main level as well that my daughter absolutely loved! I will most definitely be back again next time I come through and I definitely recommend this hotel to to other who make their way through Asheville North Carolina!
We chose this hotel originally because it has an electric car charger and it is nearby to Tesla supercharger. We were very impressed with the amenities provided, room and hotel is very clean and comfortable. Just know the walls are super thin, if your neighbor sneezes you will know!
This is a great choice in the Asheville area. Very close to downtown, literally a drive down the street. The hotel was also clean, modern, colorful, bright and fun. The hotel has easy parking, a dining area and a fire pit. I would stay here again.
Had an AWESOME stay at the Glo by Best Western.. Hotel was above and beyond.. Rooms were impeccably clean and the Staff was polite and made sure or stay was comfortable.. Will definitely stay there again
The hotel is very trendy and impressive to look at but the cons definitely outweigh the pros here. Pros: hotel looks cool, nice TV, keurig coffee maker, black out shade, convenient to downtown. Cons: a/c unit sounds like a jet engine, sliding bathroom door offers no privacy (everyone in the room will get to hear and smell everything), small pool dominated by unsupervised rowdy kids, traffic noise is intense (sirens and cars revving engines at the nearby light), beds and bedding are uncomfortable.
This is a great hotel with a modern-day home favor! This is the only BW I will stay in for sure in the future! The customer service, parking, location and staff was great. Look forward to my next visit
Stayed one night at this hotel. Very clean and no carpeting in room ( which I like). Bed was comfortable but the pillows were lumpy. That didn't make a difference because we always travel with our own. Breakfast was adequate.. nothing special. Friendly and helpful staff and they have an electric car charger. Would definitely stay here again.
We spent 3 days in this nice hotel. Everything was great : cleanness, location, breakfast, size of the room, free parking. For this price is difficult to find something competitive with GLo. The swimming pool has a salt water, I wish it could be little bit warmer.
Excellent service. Beautiful, clean rooms. Hassle-free check-in. I couldn't believe how great the rates were. I couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience! I'll stay there every time I visit Asheville.
A last minute trip to Asheville, we selected this hotel based on price, location and value. We were not disappointed, under a 10 min drive from the centre of Asheville I could not fault this hotel. The room is clean and tidy, beds comfortable. Breakfast included in the price was pretty good, I loved the pancake machine!
Great modern hotel convenient to all of Asheville. This is where I stay in Asheville. It has convenient access to all of Asheville and to grocery stores, pastry shops and coffee shops. And the shower and shower head is really great.
The Glo Best Western Asheville Tunnel Road is a very clean and comfortable hotel. The rooms are a nice size and the beds are super comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located near a variety of very good restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and gas stations (all within 2 miles), everything you need when traveling. The hotel is also conveniently located off the highway system making it easy to visit downtown Asheville, the Biltmore estate or Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Only a few miles away is an access point to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Kortnee at reception was amazing. She was a wealth of information regarding the Asheville area attractions and places to eat and gave us great directions on the best ways to get there. Our stay at the Glo was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again when in the Asheville area.
From a bug in the window, to one in the bed, do yourself and your family a favor and don't stay here. The walls are thin and the rooms are spartan. They admit to being understaffed and it shows. Yes it comes with a breakfast, but so do other places. Don't fall for the glitz of a retro-modern, hip style, this place is a hard pass. The one positive was the rain-showerhead, but that alone is not worth it.
I'd stay here during every visit to Asheville! Cute retro decor, clean property and hotel, comfortable bedding and decent breakfast options. Such an unassuming Best Western hotel, we were pleasantly surprised! 5 star rating!
Extremely clean. Comfortable beds and sheets felt like brand new. Hardwood floors. No nasty carpet in room. Halls were carpeted which cuts down on the noise. Amazing front desk attendants. Cody was efficient. Polite and very helpful, an employer's dream for first impressions. No negatives about this property, really enjoying it! Close to everything. Definitely will stay here again or try other Glo's as I travel. Great value for the money.
The Glo Best Western if a very up-to-date modern hotel with comfortable, clean rooms. The choices for breakfast were very good, the lobby area is very modern and clean, and the location of the hotel is good for getting to Asheville, the Biltmore, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I would definitely stay again when in the area and would recommend this hotel to friends.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel. Very clean and very modern. Upon entering the hotel, you immediately notice the cleanliness of the lobby. We arrived late and asked for some guidance on finding a restaurant and Cody at the front desk was very accommodating. The room was immaculate. The beds comfy. A very quiet hotel. Standard complimentary breakfast that was enough to get us on our way the next morning. Asked for some directions at the front desk and they were very good at helping us.
Nice hotel with great location. I reserved a room for Accommodation, but when we arrived at the hotel were informed that there were no such rooms available. We did stay, but it was a major inconvenience to not have the type of room we needed.
Very nice, felt at home from check into check out. The room were clean and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable, and had good water presser in the shower. The hotel was close to restaurants and sightseeing.
I am happy that I stayed at Glo BW - safe and family friendly (saw other families with small kids). My family and I loved it - very convenient to major thoroughways so it was easy going in and out of the place.
All of the reviews describing the paper-thin walls are correct. I could hear every movement outside in the hallway, and each footstep upstairs. It was incredibly obnoxious and continued throughout the night. Also, there is no real door to the bathroom. The sliding barn closet door that is the “door” means there is no real privacy when using the bathroom. I thought the room was clean and the hotel is in a convenient location, but I would not stay here again.
The walls and ceiling are super thin. You'll hear EVERYTHING! We felt the vibrations of people walking and talking. A infant next door cried and kept us awake as well. Not a place to sleep quietly and peacefully.
Such a bright fun hotel! Easy check in, clean and great rooms. Comfortable beds, very modern set up in the rooms. Big bathroom with large shower that has a big rain shower head. The breakfast choices were standard hotel fare. Rates were a bit high, but it is a popular town.
I wasn't sure what to expect from the hotel, but the website and reviews all looked good so I decided to book the room. I am so glad I did. It was clean, the staff was helpful, and for being under Covid-19 restrictions, the free breakfast was good. Location was perfect for us and close to the Biltmore Estate and access to the Blue RIdge Parkway. I recommend the hotel.
Friendly, helpful employees, room was very modern and clean, breakfast was excellent. The location was good but a little difficult to reach from the highway. The decor was very interesting and modern. The staff of the breakfast area was very helpful.
This hotel is so clean and modern...fun decor, and very conveniently located. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. However, this is the worst noise experience I've had in a hotel, and I would not return for that reason. The floors are not carpeted, and I have heard every single step and sound of the people above us (and also out in the halls). Also, there is a heavy rolling door for the bathroom, and I can hear each time it rolls for the upstairs guests, and also the ones beside us. The insulation appears to be minimal. I would definitely avoid if you are a light sleeper, or have children who need quiet for sleep. Such a shame, because the hotel has so much going for it otherwise.
Stayed 1 night for a visit to the Biltmore, and the location is great. Like other reviewers explain, the hotel is new and everything appears clean and modern. Amenities include cable, microwave, safe, hair dryer, iron, soap, Keurig, and complimentary breakfast (coffee, bagels, bananas, and cereal). The only reason I am not giving a 5 star review is that the walls are thin. Between 9 and 11:30 PM, I kept getting woken up by various conversations in the hallway and noises a neighbor was making
Minutes off the Blue Ridge Parkway and easy to find. Every part of this hotel was very clean and felt brand new. The employees were kind and professional. Breakfast included a great variety and the food was delicious. Great value for a great place to stay!
Beautiful retro style hotel. Great friendly staff. Fun clean room with great retro lamps chair wallpaper. VERY clean. Very comfortable bed with nice clean new sheets and pillows. Great bathroom with roomy clean shower. One of the nicest Best Western hotels we have stayed in.
Fun place to stay! Decent location near highway. Love the "boutique" style decor and bright colors. Our bed was comfortable and room inviting. Good selection of items for breakfast and readily available. Staff was friendly. Answered all of our questions.
We stayed at the GLO Best Western on Tunnel Rd. In Asheville, NC for three nights. This hotel is an excellent choice if you want super clean rooms, great breakfast, helpful and professional staff and other great amenities. Add to that the fact that the downtown area is a quick and easy ten minute ride away. We have been traveling for the last seventeen days and I wish we could have spent every one of them at the GLO. Try it—you'll love it!
Very update hotel with an indoor pool and fitness room Bedding is luxurious and the rooms extremely comfortable Lobby area and breakfast areas are spacious Hotel has multiple tablets for guests access to internet
We usually stay at Best Western, but the Glo in Asheville was very impressive. Loved the modern colors & features, like the rain shower head & all glass shower. The room was bright & inviting. Speaking of bright & inviting, Kortnee, the assistant manager, was always smiling & very helpful, making sure everything was going smoothly. Even with the COVID protocol, breakfast was above average. We would certainly recommend the Best Wester Glo to anyone staying in Asheville.
It was a beautiful hotel. We always stay at Best Western and we are always are pleased the Glo Best Western exceeded our expectations it was beautiful very clean and staff was awesome. Bed was very comfortable .
There were ants in our room. We saw a few the first night of our stay but night two there were tons by desk where we had plastic fork on desk. Tv/internet went out for over an hour during our stay, front desk said they were aware and trying to fix it. Rooms were very noisy, floors are thin and we could hear the people above us walking/stomping for several hours at night and in morning. This was not a relaxing or enjoyable stay.
Glo by Best Western in Asheville, is a colorful modern property. I truly enjoyed my stay, from checkin to checkout. I loved the sparkle in the blue trim of the bathroom, and the yellow lamp was cheerful.
We were new to the GLO Best Western brand, but I was delighted from the moment I stepped into the lobby. Everything was clean, well ordered, and inviting. Our room and rest were wonderful, and the breakfast offering and variety was good. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice were available all the time. Value was top-notch. I'll seek out GLO properties in the future for sure.
We were not expecting the property or room to be as lovely as it was. The common spaces were bright, open, and inviting, especially the breakfast area. I was surprised at the extent of the breakfast options. The room was lovely- beds comfortable. The blackout window shades were quite amazing at keeping out any outside light! I wish it could have kept out the loud motorcycles that seem to zoom by (at all hours) on the highway outside. The bathroom was spacious, with good shelf and counter space, though I would have loved more water pressure in the shower. Due to COVID, daily maid service was unavailable, but that was not an issue at all. If any supplies were needed, it was a simple ask at the front test. We left dirty towels and trash in front of our door and it was removed rapidly. The front desk employees were kind, helpful, and always willing to provide what was needed with a positive attitude. I would happily return to this Best Western!
It is 3:30am and I awake writing this review. While the hotel appear “modern”, clean, etc., the walls are paper thin. I am awake, listening to the person next door snore away…oh so loudly. What I needed most from this Best Western (sleep!), I am failing to get. For almost $200 for my one-night stay, I find this unacceptable. When I called down to the front desk to report this issue, I was offered no help whatsoever. I was told all the rooms are booked, and that there was no box fan or white noise machine of any kind to be found. Instead, I am up at 3:30 am, listening to the snoring of a stranger. Stay elsewhere!
The room is spotless and the bathroom is superb. It does not feel cozy however and I would not stay here again. I feel this hotel is trying too hard to appear modern but the bones are old and it shows. The taste level here is questionable, from a branding perspective. It's uncomfortable to see what Best Western is trying to do here. As for the building, the air conditioning unit is very loud and I can hear every foot step of the people above me. I can even hear the door sliding to the bathroom in their room. The sheets feel soft though! And the front desk was very kind. So not a flop, just would not choose this hotel again.
Extremely Satisfied, the entire Staff at the Clo Best Western in Asheville NC was the very best with Guest Service. Our stay recieved excellent Service. The services we received at the Asheville NC Hlo Best Western should be a model for all Glo Properties.
This hotel is really nice, seems new and all the staff were so so nice, they really went above and beyond. When I got to the hotel we were there a little earlier than normal check in time but the male worker at the desk said he would call me right away when our room was ready and offered to hold our luggage in their office so we could hang out by the pool or in the lobby without having to drag our bags around with us. This was especially helpful since my friend and I had Ubered to the hotel. The location of the hotel is great, close to the highway so it's a short drive to downtown Asheville, and also to several hiking trails. Our room faced the road but we never felt like there were any road sounds that were distracting at all. The complimentary breakfast was really good too. And reasonable rates for the rooms. Would definitely recommend this location and any Glo hotel to a friend!
Very friendly and accommodating at the front desk. The lobby of the hotel is bright, colorful and well kept. Our room was immaculate and nicely decorated. Breakfast area was clean and inviting. We plan to come back whenever we visit Asheville! Love it here!
A Hotel that doesn't do your room during a 4 day stay. Can they play the covid card forever? When we checked in it was nasty and we requested a cleaning after the 2nd day and they refused for "covid reasons" Barn doors in the bathroom is another 1 star reason for me. Hotel price for airbnb service, no thanks.
Visited and stayed 2 nights 3 days in first week in Aug. Had numerous questions for the front desk regarding the Biltmore Estates. A young lady at the front desk Named Kortnee went out of her way to assist me and my family with many questions I had. The hotel staff was amazing from the front desk to the breakfast bar assistance. Our room was wonderful. We will definitely be back the next trip to Asheville.
I came across this hotel by accident while searching on Google and I've used Best Western in the past and I wanted to try them out again, this modern, new hotel caught my eye and my husband and I stayed for one night and absolutely fell in love and already have plans to visit more Glo' locations in the future! This is the only hotel chain I ever plan on staying at and I hope they open more of these in the future! An amazing price and the rooms were spotless and modern and extremely up to date. I highly recommend this chain and would definitely visit again!
Staff was friendly! And very helpful. Everything was clean! Definitely needs more parking spaces on busy weekends. Free breakfast wasn't much, but enough to hold you over til you get somewhere to grab something. Air worked great. Husband froze me out!
A long-awaited vacation after several years landed us in Asheville, where we heard good things all around. If you look at other hotels for the price, proximity, accommodations etc. -- GLo is going to be very hard to beat. Most Downtownish lodgings worth anything are going to run you $300+ a night. We stayed Thursday-Saturday initially, but because the weather didn't cooperate entirely and the price was even better on a Sunday ($110 out the door), we stayed an extra night. Worth it. The pictures you see are accurate — it is new, clean, and modern for the times. A few quick hits: • The showers are large, have ample space, and water pressure is nice. • Beds were comfortable (we had a king) and on the firm side. Plenty of pillows. • Other reviews about the in-room sliding barn doors are accurate. They take a little effort to slide open and, once they are, the closet is blocked. If you're with someone, privacy isn't going to be great. However, I liked the design to maximize space. • We didn't try the breakfast (there are a lot of great Asheville eats) but it looked good enough and the common area looked like a nice place to meet family/friends before going out. Or even a little quiet time to work if you wanted to get out of your room. Board games were available, too, which was a nice touch. • The pool was inside, which is nice I suppose for winter. In the dead of summer, though, it would have been nice outside. When we went, unfortunately, there was a sheen of slickness/oil or something that made us not stay long, but it wasn't bad. they have a basketball hoop and ball, which is fun. • There is nothing really within walking distance for food, drink, etc. Bring a few snacks to munch on in the room if you decide to stay in. • Staff was friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, with COVID-19 protocols in place, turn-over service was not available. But, you can easily get towels from the front or from the cleaning service in the hall each morning if you see them. The last part I can't stress enough — it was a breeze to get Downtown, to West Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, etc. in just a few minutes. And parking really isn't all that difficult in those areas where a valet would be great. Also, parking at GLo is free and there is ample space, which is a nice bonus. It served as a nice home base to sleep, rest, recuperate, and then head out for fun.
My husband and I decided to spend a couple of days in the mountains and chose to stay at GLo in Asheville. We had stayed at the older hotel a couple of years before. We enjoyed our stay there but really truly enjoyed our visit here, The accommodations were superb! We had a King room which was spacious as well as cozy for the two of us. The temperature in the room was very comfortable. The TV was huge! Everything was in good order. We totally enjoyed our stay here. Will definitely will be back and will stay at GLo.
Clean, pleasant, comfortable, it was all we needed. The bathroom was directly across from the beds and separated by a sliding, barn-style door, but that didn't bother us. The room was quiet, and the beds were comfortable. There was a common area around a fire pit outside and one in the lobby where board games were available. Juice and coffee were always available. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have any problems during our two-night stay.
Awesome central location but still in a quiet area, brand new building and very cool decor! All of the staff were super helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious for my family of 4. Will definitely stay here again in the future!
Great surprise. Very clean, efficient and friendly. Bed and room were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Limited choice due to covid but the sausage biscuits were good. Did not expect all this for the price.
Cleanliness and location are my top priorities for a hotel stay. The Glo Best Western is extremely clean and I felt very safe with the location. Close to the Biltmore and Blue Ridge Parkway. Staff was friendly and helpful.
As a former "Road Warrior" having over 5,000 nights on the road, domestic and international, over 30 years, I am very too the point and no sugar coating fluff reviews. Overall 4/5*(Breakfast and room issues) Breakfast 2/5 Front Desk 5/5 Room 3/5* Breakfast 2/5 I know hotels are doing a Covid breakfast, but they need to STOP using that excuse to offer a sub bar breakfast. I have stayed in 14 hotels over the last month, from Boston to Asheville and hotels in the same are offering from poor excuse for a breakfast to the normal buffet. They are NOT offering the same breakfast, despite being in the same city Saugage biscuit (need to microwave) was 2 small/quarter size pieces, why bother, both are equal to a bite. The rest isn't worth a review. Room 3/5 Sliding Barn Doors I am NOT a fan of the barn door, that covers either the closet or bathroom, because it offers less privacy and a better than normal chance of someone opening the door, while you are in the bathroom, when they cover the closet. Lights The light next to the bedroom is an upside down lamp, STUPID idea, with the switch and support above the shade and the shade is too low. Sockets I cannot below hotels don't take into account the largest group of customers, the "Baby Boomers" and have the sockets below the lamp table, very low to the ground. Bed Wasn't very comfortable KIS(Keep it Simple) Trying to get too fancy with the upside down lamp and the barn door. A normal lamp and a regular door is better to have !
This hotel was awesome!! The first thing I noticed was it's cleanliness!! Everything about this hotel was clean!! The staff was super friendly as well. We went on a ladies shopping trip and the hotel is really close to the Asheville Mall and maybe 10-15 minutes from Tanger. We will definitely be back!!
The price point of this hotel was extremely reasonable in comparison to other properties. This property is fun and modern. EXTREMELY clean. We stayed in the same property two years ago and it was in the same condition this time. They have kept up the property well. The breakfast is fair, but enough to for a quick bite before heading out for the day. The beds are comfortable, the rooms have everything you would need (fridge, micro, seating), no gross hotel carpet...great flooring choice to keep germs away. Bathrooms are spacious and modern. Our room had a huge window which let in a lot of natural light. The only con was because of the flooring we did hear the people above us with young kids who were running around (not their fault...just being kids). We did NOT hear anyone in the hallway or next door. We would return 100% and suggest others to stay here as well.
The hotel was beautiful, new, and modern. Just a short drive to downtown Asheville. Everything in our room was spotless and comfortable. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion was provided. Staff was pleasant and breakfast was provided. We enjoyed this hotel very much and found it nicer then many other high priced hotels we have stayed at.
Arrived at 3:15 pm and rooms weren't ready for check in due to staffing issues. Also, no room cleaning is being offered, not even if you stay for 5 nights!!! Tried to address this with the staff but no response.
The room was absolutely lovely. Our room had hardwood floors, two queen beds, safe, refrigerator and a fully stocked bed and bathroom. It was extremely clean and neat. There was a desk for work and a window seat that made it soothing to look out at the picturesque mountainside.
5 day family trip. Hotel is far enough away from downtown to be in a quieter location but close enough that you can be there in 5 minutes. And it's also safe. This is our second stay there. We love it.
Nice modern hotel. very thin floors, noise level terrible. Our a/c didn't work as its suppose to. Check in was at 3, we arrived after 5 but our rooms were not ready. The bathroom door is barn style, not much privacy. Must shut bathroom door to access the closet, space saver but inconvenient. Bed comfortable and room was clean
Trendy, clean, welcoming, professional. This place was simply amazing! The hotel is located near the highway and restaurants, so you never feel too far from any destination or necessity. We will DEFINITELY be staying at Glo again without hesitation!
When I made the reservations I chose the Glo because we had stayed at the other BW a couple of years before so I was expecting a grand improvement. It was not that grand. We needed an accessible bathroom and got it. We decided to extend our stay 1 day but when we did we were told that the accessible room was already booked so we would have to move to a different room in the morning. We packed up, went to the lobby to see if we could get into the new room, but was told that we didn't have to move out because the staff had called the people that had reserved the room did not require an accessible room, after all. So we got new keys and took our things back to the room, There was no breakfast, only a grab-and-go bag constisting of a piece of fruit and a packaged muffin. The bed was so tall I had to throw myself onto the bed to lie down and the shower had no lip to retain the water so the bathroom floor was soaking wet all night after our showers. I am not sure I would ever make reservations there again.
We booked based on the good ratings but the hotel is really poor quality. The best is the most uncomfortable I've even slept it. It's loud, you can hear every move from the room upstairs. They dont clean the rooms- have to go down to the lobby to get clean towels. The pool and gym are pretty poor quality too. I'm surprised at its price for what you get.
I always look forward to going to GLo. The hotel is clean and the staff is the most courteous and gracious. The beds were super comfortable and we slept like babies after a long day sightseeing. The hotel is central to every place we desired to visit and was easy to get to. We miss hot breakfast (due to COVID) but the staff was generous with the current breakfast options. Looking forward to staying here again.
The hotel is new and in a great location. New is always best. Modern decor. From top to bottom the staff was great. Always cheerful and helpful. There is a parking space with charging for an EV. We were on the 3rd floor. Inexplicably there are only ice machines on the 2nd and 4th floors. The door to the room was very hard to open. Very. Then it would slam with great noise if we weren't careful. The room had an unusual lay out. As you come in the door the beds are right in front of you in full view of the door. The bathroom was right across from a bed. There is a sliding barn style door that covered the closet or the bathroom door but not both. Bathroom was new, clean, modern. The mirror had lights around it. Perfect for shaving or applying makeup. The shower had a glass door, not a crappy plastic curtain. Unfortunately the towels were thin and scratchy. Also, because we were staying for multiple days there was no daily housekeeping cleaning of the room, linens or exchange of towels. If we wanted clean towels we had to put them out in the hall. We didn't do that so we don't know how clean towels got into the room. Same with trash. We had to put it out in the hall. Geez. We had a king size bed but the pillows were very small and not comfortable. There was a desk and chair and an easy chair. There were plenty of plugs to charge electronics and USB ports. There was a nice clock, with charging ports and a bible. We had a refrigerator but no microwave. There was a big screen LCD TV but for some reason we couldn't get the CC to work. There was no writing paper or pen to leave a note for the staff. There was a nice Keurig coffee machine but we had to go down to the front desk to obtain more pods. The floors were hardwood. Not so good when people above you are walking around with hard shoes. Fortunately that didn't happen often. The breakfast was grab and go. Muffins, yogurt, granola bars, oranges, apples, water, dry oatmeal. You could eat in the area where breakfast was usually served. Kind of weird that the breakfast was closed down. On our last day we went to Cracker Barrel for Breakfast. Because of a server shortage everyone was crammed into the center section. No social distancing. Don't think we'll be staying there again.
I've stayed at Best Western Plus one time, and it was a good memory. However, with the new brand GLo, this was just a beautiful hotel, the decor, design, style, location, big bathroom, big showerhead, long pictureframe type window w/ the jazziest roller blind with a design to match the color scheme. The drop down small chandeler light on the wall was so unique and stylish and not to bright. The amenities with all this style and luxury, the Keuric, microwave (in its on little location) the fridge and the barn door. Just absolutely beautiful. Compliments to the architect and interior designer. Wish we would had more time to stay another day. Location was good for us, because the interstate was right there, but not congested. Only con was, not enough seating area for the large establishment that held so many guests. But, what was there was very nice, with the pit and very comfortable chair. Oh, the Beds, Bedding and comfort was A+++++++++++++!
This is a beautiful hotel. The decor is poppin. The hotel is in a convenient location. Pros: decor; comfy bed; indoor pool; location Cons: no view; no microwave in the room; fire pit is great, but set up in the front of the hotel basically in the parking lot;
Stayed her two nights while in the area. Room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. Great location. Close to Biltmore and downtown but also grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed the coffee and breakfast each morning.
Upon Entering this Property, i was amazed. I travel for a living, about 150 nights a year, making Best Western the Brand I trust. This new Hotel ( GLO ) by Best Western Stands alone in; Quality, Decoration and appointments, Cleanliness, professionalism and kindness. I truly felt at home, and was greeted s thou i was family. I recommend this hotel highly, when visiting Historic Ashville, NC
Loved staying at the holiday inn in Asheville. Continental breakfast on the balcony was one great way to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary !!! Definitely will stay there again beautiful central location to great food and lots and lots of great art
The hotel looks new. The front desk area and bedrooms looked very modern. They got us checked in, in a timely manner. The bedrooms are great! The beds felt amazing. The bathroom had a sliding door with no lock. So many pillows on the bed as well. Enjoyed our stay here and will be staying here again if we tend to visit Asheville again.
The room is spacious, modern, and amazing. The service is impeccable and impressive. We arrived late and asked for advice on where to grab dinner and the concierge knew exactly where to send us. 100% recommend GLo. Will absolutely stay there again.
There's no doubt we were impressed by the hotel and staff. A beautiful hotel, reminding me of a nice European hotel and everything in it. The room was comfortable & well-planned. My wife commented that it had been designed by women. A plus for them is the aquarium with actual glofish, for the kids & fish enthusiasts & a fire pit to enjoy. The front desk staff were kind, courteous & accommodating. ( I had to leave the rental scooter there before we left so the company could pick it up). Props to all the staff working 4/14/21 to 4/16/21 during our stay. Thank you.
Our two night stay at the Glo was very pleasant. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. The “bag” breakfast (due to COVID) was quite adequate! and there was always plenty of coffee and bottles of water. We felt that safety precautions were well taken and we would highly recommend the Glo!!! The Glo does Glow!!!
Hotel was amazing. Clean, great location and staff was very helpful. The hotel was very modern and the size of the room was awesome, enough room to move around and feel comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
Great Hotel. From the time we checked in to the we checked out the stay was amazing. Great location to major attractions and restaurants. Hotel was clean, nice size rooms and front staff was very helpful. Hotel was very modern and the rooms were a great size. Would definitely stay again.
Brand new, nice, modern hotel. Indoor pool (didn't use it). Close to downtown and restaurants by car. Ask for a top floor room. We've stayed a number of times and haven't had a problem but this last time the people above us sounded like they were doing aerobics for 45 minutes straight several time. Thankfully they stopped by 10pm. Wish people were more considerate!
The staff was very kind and helpful. We were very pleased with their Covid safety measures, one of which was no maid service during your stay; however, anything you need could be obtained from the front desk, and they picked up towels and trash if left outside your door. Also no breakfast bar, but they provided a very hearty bag breakfast which consisted of oatmeal packets, orange, granola bar, yogurt, muffin, bottled water, and bowl & spoon. Our room was very clean, and I really liked the modern decor throughout the hotel. They also have a very cool fish tank in the lobby.
No bath, only shower with horrible water pressure. Ended up using an empty water bottle to rinse hair. On website says rooms have microwave, it does not. Bed was comfortable, lounge chair was not. Does have blackout shades.
This hotel's website said FREE HOT BREAKFAST BUFFET. It was really a Grab&Go snack bag. Front desk person didn't care about the issue, But....................this is a Best Western. Roos on front of hotel are noisy. Get on on the back side for a better nights sleep,
Very clean hotel! Close to everything I wanted to visit. Plenty of fabulous places to eat close to the hotel. The hotel parking lot was extremely full during our stay so we had to park next door at the Best Western both nights! The parking lot is too small for the hotel.
Rooms very clean..nice staff...great location would recommend staying here if you're on business or pleasure. The bed was comfortable as well. Where I'm back that way I definitely would be staying there.
The hotel is new with lots of amenities, including plenty of ISB ports,a Keurig in the room, and a wall-mounted flat-screen tv. Everything was clean and fresh, and the mattress was comfortable. The morning and evening staff were very friendly, and it was an easy drive to downtown Asheville and the Parkway. The hotel staff can help find a restaurant especially for dinner, since most of the restaurants in Asheville still have closed dining rooms.
This is a super nice hotel with a very funky modern style and great amenities. We liked everything about it and the location is away from the hub-bub yet very convenient to get anywhere in the area from
Great Experience at GLO Asheville. Caesar at check in was quick and efficient and made sure we had everything we needed. Room was spotless and well appointed. We left an item in the room and stopped back by to pick it up later in the day and Caesar found it quickly and had it ready for us. Will definitely stay here again when traveling through Asheville.
This hotel was a great value and super clean. The location was close to everything and so convenient to jump of the interstate to get everywhere quickly. The staff was nice and helpful. We will absolutely be staying here again each time we come to the Asheville area. The beds were also really comfortable. I loved that this hotel has luxury vinyl floors instead of carpet and that made the whole room feel updated and clean.
The staff is always professional. I have yet been disappointed. The atmosphere makes being away from home that more bearable. I'm there roughly 10 days a month, so when I tell you the staff is professional I really mean just that.
Even though this hotel was suppose to be only 2 years old it definitely needed some work and the staff needed to be trained in customer service. I requested a room away from the street and basically was told by the front desk clerk "It was just to much trouble to change our room". Even though I requested a room away from the street before hand. Also checked early in the day when there were plenty of rooms available to make the change.
Very clean, obviously newly built. There is an older Best Western next door with outside rooms. BW next door is half the price of the GLO hotel. Rooms are on the small side. Drawers that can't be opened due to the desk that is in front of them. (?) Small refrigerator. In room Kuerig with coffee supplied. Nice shower with higher end shampoo/conditioner supplied. Did not use fitness center. No laundry on site you have to use the one at the Best Western next door- NOT convenient. Not much around the hotel- everything requires a drive. Probably would pick a hotel with more around it next time. This would be good for just a night.
My and wife took a small couples trip to get away. This hotel was a great stay my wife is very picky with hotels and she was very happy with this one. The front desk was helpful picking out local eateries. We will be staying again soon.
My husband and I stayed here in the fall and then, again this past month. Both times it was an excellent stay. I was concerned about where to stay with Covid but this property was extremely clean. They also took the Covid protocols seriously. Furthermore, everyone that works there is very pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again! Thanks Jamie & Dennis!
When my wife told me we were staying at a Best Western, I had some concerns. Those went away the minute we arrived! The GLO is a beautiful new hotel with great amenities, rooms and accommodations. Unfortunately, because of COVD, we were unable to partake in breakfast, but the rest of the property was perfect. My favorite had to be the room. It was perfect. It was spacious, with great features, including a fridge, microwave and plenty of storage space! If you are looking for a place to stay in Asheville, check out the GLO Best Western. It was VERY clean and an awesome place to stay!
Nice room, easy check in, clean, everything great. Large shower without a grab bar. Kinda scary for an old guy like me without good balance. I'm on the road a great deal and don't remember any hotel without them. Could easily be corrected.
We were going to the Biltmore with friends to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary. We know traveling during Covid is difficult and services will be curtailed during this time. However, when we made reservations at the Glo we were advised about wearing masks, which all of us always do. When we arrived to check in there was a sign on the desk advising that stays for multiple days do not have in-room housekeeping services. Housekeeping does not go into your room to clean during your stay. Guests are required to put the garbage and the dirty towels out in the hallway and housekeeping would pick them up. Guests are required to get the clean towels/tissues, etc. at the front desk. This is information that should be provided to potential guests when they inquire about rooms so they can decide if they wish to stay there or another hotel that following CDC guidelines for COVID and still provides in-room housekeeping services. We also encountered a bug on our pillow. Our friends who stayed in the room next to us found several bugs on their ceiling and wall the morning of our second day there. They had to change rooms so the room could be sprayed with Raid. These bugs looked like the 'stink bugs' you see outside at certain times of the year. On a positive note, The front desk personnel are very friendly and accommodating but they need more training on how to handle situations such as these. We haven't traveled since COVID and understand the restrictions imposed to keep everyone safe but not advising customers of the 'no in-room maintenance for stays over one night' when they book is absolutely underhanded. We guess they presume they would lose business if they did.
Disappointed in this hotel. We were not advised when we booked they do not clean the rooms. The guest has to change their linen, empty their trash cans, etc. We realize we are living with a pandemic and nothing is normal. Perhaps Glo should offer discounts since guests do not get any housekeeping!
This Glo Bestwestern is really nice. Amenities are super, can't complain about anything. Bathroom is roomy, shower is roomy. Water pressure is perfect! After a nice day of hiking in the Blue Ridge, a nice shower is super. Very nice room design with the furniture, we love all the ledges in the room, more place to put things out. Blackout window shades are so nice as well. We had a great experience and would stay here again and again.
We came to visit Biltmore and I chose this based on reviews. It was excellent. Very clean, beds comfortable, indoor pool and exercise room. Staff extremely sweet and helpful. Grab and go breakfast was exactly what we needed and they do have a coffee and juice bar, keurigs in room with bottles of water. Nice big room and bathroom. Not one complaint. Wish we could stay longer.
I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and safe my stay was. This was my first time staying at a hotel since before the pandemic. I traveled with gloves, hand sanitizer, antibacterial hand soap, antibacterial cleaner, paper towel and Clorox wipes. I still wiped down things as a precaution but I could tell that the whole entire room had been thoroughly cleaned. There's a 4 person limit for the elevator but I chose to use the stairs instead. This hotel is located near everything. GLo Best Western Asheville Tunnel Road will be my go to hotel whenever I'm in Asheville. Keep up the good work!
We definitely like to stay at this hotel, we cannot compare GLO with the others best western hotels, this one is so much better! We loved the decoration, a lot of colors and everything like brand new. Good location as well. Is not yet a hotel 4 stars because the air conditioning was making a lot of noise and the fridge as well. Little thing's like quality of the towel, but overall is a good room. NO CARPET, I think this a great detail too. Free parking, and breakfast (now only grab and go because of COVID) Thank you for all the staff they was very kindly.
Hotel is in a nice area, close to the most main highways. Building is nice and clean. Good size of rooms and bathrooms. But A/C is horrible, blows in 1 direction and you can't stand in a middle of the room for long. Bad shower heads.
The hotel was clean and close to most of the attractions, and the bed was comfortable. Although pretty new, I was not a fan of the decor (which I thought looked like a dorm room), but my wife liked it so I am not subtracting for that. Just off the main highway so very close to everything. No breakfast except coffee during covid, unlike a lot of hotels that at least provide some pre-packaged items. I am not sure if this is a covid measure, but all day long there was a rush of air under the door to the hallway, which was quite loud. I was just generally unimpressed for the 140/nt I paid for a mid-week rate, and would have rated 3.5 on TA if I could have.
This beautiful hotel exceeded our expectations! The cleanliness, the accommodation, very friendly, helpful, hotel staff. Christopher, was very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable about the hotel and area. The rooms were very pretty, the beds were comfortable. The first hotel I've been to in a long time where I went across the counters with a Clorox wipe, and DID NOT SEE DIRT!! The bathrooms and entire room was spotless!
This is a very modern, clean hotel. Location was perfect. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were good size and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. They offered more than just a piece of fruit, muffin, and water in a bag.
Initially came for a conference but it was canceled due to Covid-19 but wanted to stay anyway. I've worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and I'm really impressed with the Hotel. It's look, the room amenities and the level of cleanliness is superb and this will be my hotel of choice to stay at when I'm in Asheville. Kudos to Courtney & Christopher at the front desk for helping me out when issues arose with my room and the professionalism and courtesy shown to me by other staff members and the housekeepers who took care of me. I was in rm 407 and had a really great view.
Hotel was nice, very clean, courteous staff. The only disappointing thing was I needed a 2 hour late checkout for a work meeting I need to run remotely (forgot I was not in my expected time zone) and didn't want to do it from a moving vehicle and they were not able to accommodate that. It was a Tuesday after a holiday weekend so I can't imagine they were full, so that was disappointing. Otherwise great stay.
Of all the motels in Asheville, we Love staying at the BW Glo. Great location, always clean, comfy beds, and super nice staff. We have a hybrid car and because they have a charging station, we were able to charge our car during our stay. Because of the Covid-19, they took extra precaution to make everything clean and safe. We felt very welcomed and will be back.
My friend and I, stayed here at the end of August. We loved the trendy, modern layout that the hotel had. Customer service was great and the hotel is in a great location. Close to everything. I do wish the parking lot was bigger, but overall it was a good stay.
Best room and service ever! Very clean room and very helpful staff. Will definitely stay again soon. If and when the virus subsides, the buffet will be the place to be at 6 am. The coffee is really great- smooth with no bitter after taste.
The Glo seemed to be recently remodeled and it was reasonably well done but really, the decorations were a little over done to try to be trendy. It was really clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was the new Covid standard, an apple and plastic wrapped pastry. It was pathetic and for that my rating is only a 4. We stayed at a HI the night before that served a half-way decent hot breakfast. The location was not downtown but you can drive to the other side of Asheville in less than 10 minutes so it was no inconvenience.
This hotel was very clean, comfortable and affordable. It's hard to find all 3! I was really impressed. We had some troubles getting the key card to work, however the front desk attendant was very helpful and quickly fixed the issue by moving us to another room. The decor is fun however, the one thing I did not like is that they have the barn door style doors for the bathroom and the door doesn't close tight. It was a nice stay.
We were traveling and this was our last evening so I splurged and it was not worth the extra money. The patio fire pit was NOT a patio but two chairs in front of hotel between entrance and cars and non functioning fire pit. No view, pool not heated, fitness center closed, breakfast was a muffin, 8oz water and A piece of fruit. So not worth and was not as advertised. Room and staff were great but that does not make up for the false advertising. I could have stayed at the older BW right next door cheaper. I didn't let this ruin my last day but for others be forewarned.
A great clean facility with wonderful amenities. Helpful and friendly staff. They made our trip more enjoyable with their knowledge of the area- whether it be an area to avoid due to flooding or a great pick for a local restaurant. Felt welcome and at home.
This place was very nice. Staff was very friendly and professional. Room was very clean and comfortable. Perfectly located near many breweries and restaurants. Breakfast was not bad. There is plenty of parking.
The room was beautiful, the employees could be a bit rude but the worst was that you could hear everything in the hall, the room above us, and below us from in our room, making it very hard to sleep. Overall I'd say it's better than most hotels expect for the noise issue. You can tell the walls aren't too thick.
This is a lovely - very modern - brand new hotel. Therefore, very clean and has a great vibe. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again. Hotel breakfast was very good - lots of options. There are many close by restaurants and stores!
I reserved the incorrect Best Western (BW and BW Glo are side by side in Asheville), and nice man at the front desk immediately called the other location and let them know I meant to stay at the Glo. This saved me from having to go to the other location. Also, the young woman who checked in was awesome throughout my stay as well. My room and breakfast was also great!
I've been booking with GLo Best Western off of Tunnel Rd since my sister moved to Asheville last year and I've had nothing but very positive experiences. The customer service here is terrific, the hotel is clean and they provide a very nice breakfast! If you are looking for a high quality hotel near downtown Asheville I would definitely recommend to anyone.
This GLO Best Western Hotel was just wonderful! Great location, clean rooms, great breakfast, great service...there is no other place I would stay after being here. I will highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. Granddaughter enjoyed the heated pool.
The overall stay was really great! The rooms are bey new, up to date and very clean. The breakfast is great! Not to mention great customer service. Definitely no complaints here! I would stay here again! It's a go for Glo!
My number one requirement for any hotel is cleanliness, I can handle any decor if its clean. This hotel has zero carpet, (which I like the psuedo-hardwood floors, less dust, dirt etc) rooms had fridge, microwave and Keurig. Beds were semi-firm Clean overall, the breakfast was typical mediocre hotel food, powdered eggs, greasy sausages, pastey biscuits and gravy...typical cheap sugar food. We have to bring our own Gluten free food...However they're was nice mixed melon tray and local jam...so that was an unusual perk. Overall I'd stay again, but to call it 'luxury ' is a far stretch...
The hotel is new and has a hype vibe. We loved our room and the breakfast. All amenities needed. The bathroom has a shower and no tub, what I think is nice. The location is very good too. We will definitely return when back in town.
Loved everything about the hotel, but the noise. We could here everything around us, and kept the TV on to drown out so we could sleep. Everything else was pretty nice. Great lobby and breakfast area.
They have a great staff and made sure everything was right. The room is modern and comfortable for its small size. Great indoor pool. The same breakfast we get at most Best Westerns. They have a nice warm lobby with an aquarium in the breakfast area. The only complaint is that you hear everything going on in the hallway. We slept with the TV on to drown the noise out.
Well designed, clean, quiet contemporary hotel. Nice beds, pillows, and linens. Broad selection on self-serve breakfast buffet from eggs, sausage, bacon, and yummy make-your-own Belgium waffles to bagels, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, and fresh fruit to fuel your travel day.
Brand new hotel. The Glo is a new hotel with a hype look. We loved everything about it, from the bedroom to the breakfast. The room has comfy beds and big screen tv. There is a microwave and fridge and is pretty spacious.
Our group consisted of 5 ladies in our 50's-60's and we were coming to check-out the Biltmore & Downton Abbey exhibit for a long weekend. We had two rooms for three nights. We checked in very late (1:30 am) and were welcomed by the desk clerk upon arrival. She had everything ready for us and we were in the room in a matter of minutes. The rooms were side by side, but sadly not connecting. Apparently they do not have rooms with connecting doors. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. We took advantage of the breakfast and it was standard for a free breakfast. We set off for the Biltmore by 9:30 and although there were several hotels much closer to the estate, the GLo Best Western was a quick 10 minute drive away. Our second morning there we opted to sleep late and stayed at the hotel. We had a letter placed outside our room saying please let the front desk know by 2:00 pm if we wanted our rooms serviced. We appreciated the lazy day and the notification of how to insure our room was cleaned. We found the hotel was conveniently located to downtown Asheville's restaurants and shops. When checking out of the hotel after our third night, the desk clerk allowed us to split the cost of the rooms - five ways and took our payments individually with no hesitation. Not all hotels are willing to do that for a group! Overall, it was a great stay. Our only concern was that one room's door wouldn't open from the inside on occasion. We had to call the desk clerk up to open it once. It caused us concern in case of a fire, but we gave the friends in the room next door an extra key just in case. The door handle required more force to open than the average door.
I highly recommend this hotel, I only have one complaint. We were across from the ice machine. It woke my husband whose a light sleeper twice during the middle of the night. The ice machine needs to be in an enclosed location to reduce the sound and nit disturb sleeping guests. Request a room away for the ice machine!
nice updated rooms, Peloton Bike in exercise room, great breakfast staff very nice and helpful. just around the corner from a nice mall with a great Barnes and Noble, and Whole Foods Market. easy to get downtown or hop in interstate loop to get to Biltmore. rooms very quite, low noise even for number of people staying there.
First time not staying at a Hiton brand in 15 years, great experience and a terrific price! Property was beautiful, room was well appointed & the staff was Awesome! Close to downtown & the Biltmore Estate, lots to do!
We stopped at this location on our way to and from Cincinnati. The bed was comfortable and we liked the decor. The staff was helpful and pleasant. We were pleased with the breakfast items offered including the availability of non dairy milk for the cereal. The only problem we had initially since we are not familiar with Asheville, was locating this hotel because of the confusing road network. On our return trip we did much better although I still find the roads confusing..
My sister and I spent several nights here. Breakfast was better than average, the heat worked well, there's no carpet to accumulate grime, everything was clean, and housekeeping did a great job. The linens were nice, beds were comfy, the shades were totally room darkening, and there was no light coming from around the door. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that there are no restaurants to walk to. Everywhere is an Uber or Lyft ride.
This motel was new rooms clean, well appointed and had a modern vibe to them. Average hot and cold breakfast. Keurig in room with caribou coffee and a fridge but no microwave. Convenient to Shoping mall, restaurants and Blue Ridge Parkway.
This hotel is very clean all the way around. If you're looking for a spacious room, this is not the place for you. The room is a good size for what we needed, a place to rest, shower, and sleep. I will definitely stay here again.
hallway noise from the maids/cart/hotel room doors banging around woke me up...also the room door wasn't flush to the wall and light came in as well as the noise. the room was wonderfully new which is what I look for in a hotel. The crisp white bedding was lovely on the king size bed. I was in town to visit my daughter and celebrate my recent recovery from a bone cancer illness.. the beautiful aquarium in the cafe was a nice touch...
We were greeted by a courteous and knowledgeable staff. Our keys were ready when we arrived, the room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was the general fair for a hotel and maybe even slightly better than usual. The only issues we had were with the puffy pillows! We will definitely stay here again.
Perfect stay. Loved every part. Staff was very courteous. Rooms are very modern and super clean. and it even smelled super clean which was very impresssive . Beds very comfortable. Also priced well. Would definitely stay again.
Love the concept of this motel. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and we were very impressed with our room. It was very clean with an updated style. This motel made you feel like you were staying in an upscale hotel, but with a price of a regular motel. Breakfast had a variety of items and was very good. There was even a plug in for our electric car. We will definitely stay there again.
The hotel was very clean and modern, everything looked and felt new. Location is extremely convenient. Only issue was that our room was by the elevator, cleaning closet and ice maker which was very noisy.
The lobby was a cheerful welcome on a cold, blustery night! We were greeted warmly at the front desk. The breakfast was excellent! There were two people keeping watch over the breakfast so that everything was clean, abundant, and delicious!
It's definitely not my cup of tea! The experience reminded me too much of my days of dormitory living. If you enjoy shopping at Walmart, eating out at Burger King, or driving a stripped down Kia, then this might just be the place for you. Next time I'll spend the extra bucks and stay at The Grove Park Inn.
Beautiful new ultra modern hotel, super friendly staff, great location, with a continental breakfast. This hotel is close to some amazing restaurants like the one we really enjoyed was Packs Tavern. We look forward to returning to this wonderful hotel
This hotel turned out to be a wonderful surprise. All new modern designed rooms with a great bathroom! The location is perfect...close to downtown and The Biltmore. This was a first for me staying at a Best Western property but I loved the GLO!!
Great amenities. Great location. Funky decor. Breakfast was awesome. Wonderful rain shower. Loved our stay here! We recommend staying here. The only issue is we had to park at the neighbor hotel because of limited parking spots.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in November in room 417. The hotel is new, having opened earlier in 2019. The room had an electronic safe, fridge and microwave. The beds were comfortable, the lighting was good. The room had 2 queen beds and on the night stand between them they had an alarm clock with built-in plug ins. This was handy for charging or when one of us was using the desk and the other still wanted to use the laptop. Ample parking. Breakfast was good - downstairs in the common room. Same every day: juice, coffee, tea, cereals, oatmeal, breads, bagel, fruit, waffle station. Four different hot foods - scrambled eggs every day (which hubby thought were very good), then the other three changed between different things - hash browns, mini cinnamon buns, bacon, sausage etc. Staff was friendly and helpful - always saying hello when we came and went. The room was spotless when we checked in. There were computer terminals and a printer down in the lobby which we used to print our boarding passes. The main negative about the room - it was close to the ice machine / elevators where there was an air vent that blew a lot of air. For some reason the way the room is designed it sucks air in under the bottom of room 417's door. It sounded like a non-stop wind storm. In order to fix the issue we had to take a spare towel from the bathroom and put it against the bottom of the door to block the air. They need to install a door sweep or other device to correct this issue. We would stay here again - but not in a room near the elevators.
Very convenient to Biltmore. Hotel is 8 months old so it's very modern and clean. The decor is very nice and the free breakfast bar was very good. I would most definitely stay there again if I go back to that area.
I can't say enough about the quality of this hotel. The rooms, service and location were all top notch. We had a double queen and enjoyed the black out shades, comfy beds, large flat screen wall tv, plenty of outlets for charging, wood floors, and good size bathroom. The shower was roomy with a rain shower head and glass enclosure. The breakfast was standard like most hotels, Waffles, oatmeal, Danish, juices, scrambled eggs, and bacon etc. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.
The overall look of the hotel was very modern and colorful. The rooms were colorful, very clean, many ports and outlets to plug in electronic devices, and the bed was comfortable. A little disappointed the room did not have a microwave or a small freezer area in the fridge. The breakfast selections were good, enjoyed the hot breakfast items. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for business or leisure.
The Glo in Asheville is a really nice hotel. Great new design, bold colors, cool business center, friendly and efficient staff and I could go on. Really different from the BW that we've become used to, a great many Pros but with a few Cons. Let me say first that I would definitely book a return visit. The cons: no cookies or newspapers at the front desk, 1 TV in the lobby area and that is located in the breakfast area, the lobby furniture while hip and "groovy " is not conducive to comfortable sitting. Our room was very nice but it seemed small by recent standards and the sliding barn door on the bath, if you are easily embarrassed by the noises you may make while using the toilet maybe this room is not for you. And should I mention what a pain sliding that heavy door back and forth is? GLO Asheville, maybe not for everyone.
There are definitely some downsides, but overall it was a great stay. The breakfast is meh, and the floors are hard wood are in the room. The pool is nice, the rooms are nice, and the pool was fun too. Great location.
Great space, ambiance, and staff! Affordable but very upscale "boutique-y" vibe! Absolutely LOVED it! Clean and everything was well thought out. The decor was very funky, aesthetically pleasing, but still comfortable! Will be looking for this band wherever I travel to next.
We had a great 2-night stay at Glo Best Western! It was very affordable and exceeded our expectations. The hotel's overall design is very fun. Our room were very clean and quiet. The rooms have laminate wood floors and tile in the bathrooms which I prefer over carpet. I would absolutely stay at Glo again and highly recommend it to anyone in the Asheville area!
Nice clean large room. Comfortable bed No carpeting in room....great idea.. Free complete breakfast in nice dining area.. Excellent front desk staff This was the best value at the time for our $$s at the time of booking and we were not disappointed
Glo Best Western in Asheville was a terrific hotel to stay in. It was very clean and modern. The staff was courteous and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. The location was convenient to downtown and the mountains. We would definitely stay here again.
Water pressure is 25psi (VERY LOW), normal is 35-40 psi.they only have non adjustable rain style shower heads.(no water massage after a days travel) they told me the water PSI was set to code!! that is for fire suppression system only! not for shower and sink water fixtures! they also have no hot tub to relax in after a long day on the road!! Stay at a marriott for less and not have this problem!!
After touring the Biltmore estate 4-6 hour tour it was nice to have this clean and comfortable hotel to relax at. There are no places to walk to for food ect. would be my only complaint otherwise a fantastic stay!
Having travelled from Savannah on our way to Lexington Kentucky we stayed here for the night. This hotel in near enough brand new with everything you could want. Room size was great, pool and gym available and breakfast in the morning. If this is the way Best western is going then all the more power to them. I would consider this to be a cut above most hotels. If you are travelling to Asheville and book this you will not be disappointed. Bit far from town centre but take a cab.
Glo, in my opinion, is a rare jewel. Asheville doesn't seem to have many modern hotels at a good price. Glo is very up to date & has a slight futuristic feel to it. As soon as you walk in you can smell how new & clean this place is. Check in was a breeze, took no more then 5 minutes. Also, when you check in they don't say your room # out loud. They advise you that room number is on the room key envelope. As a female, I can say I genuinely like that safety/privacy measure (first hotel I've been to that's done that). The room has no carpet, it's gray “wooden” floors & the bathroom has white tiles. The bathrooms do not have tubs unless you get their ADA room. The shower has glass doors & they have shampoo, conditioner, & body wash dispensers (it's cruelty free & vegan). The only thing I don't really like is that you can't lock the bathroom door. That door slides and if you slide it to the right it'll become the closet door & when you slide it to the left it'll expose the closet & hide the bathroom. I've been to 4 hotels this year & Glo has the most comfortable pillows and bed! Breakfast is standard. I don't think it's enough to call a buffet but if you're looking for something basic to eat like eggs & sausage then this should work. Their snacks aren't too expensive either, I got a candy bar & two coke products for $6. Parking is okay, I don't think they have enough parking in the front of the hotel but I'll assume you can park at the regular best western next door. As an FYI, you may way to bring slippers or socks that have good grip. Since there's no carpet the floors are extremely slippery.
This hotel was really amazing. Brightly decorated and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good quality and you could have as much as you wanted. Good choices available! No hesitation in recommending this hotel.
We stayed at the Best Western Acadia in Bar Harbor, ME a few weeks ago. It was excellent so we gave the GLo Best Western Asheville on Tunnel Rd. a try this week. It was also excellent. We usually stay at Hilton properties like Hampton Inn but now we will look for Best Westerns on our travels. There are a lot of new hotels in Asheville and prices have gone up. This hotel offers new, clean, comfortable rooms with a good breakfast equal to Hampton Inn at an affordable rate. Very happy with the staff and all aspects of our stay. Hello Best Western!!!
It was a beautiful hotel with a wonderful fish tank in the lobby. We loved sitting at the table watching the fish & having our coffee. The room was great & the bed comfortable. While the guys slept, my friend & I used the pool. The only thing lacking was a hot tub for people with aches & pains. My husband prefers a hot tub & isn't interested in the pool, while I prefer the pool.
Definitely worth the short drive to this hotel if you're touring downtown Asheville. It was one of the quietest rooms I've ever stayed in. The hotel overall was very clean and modern. I would definitely return!
I just checked out of this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at how new, clean and spacious the room was. I stayed on the third floor facing the road. I had a window running along the length of the wall above the desk. The shades blocked out any early morning light completely. The bed was comfy and the rain head shower had plenty of pressure. Breakfast was included. I wil definitely stay again.
Stayed at Glo Best Western for four nights. The hotel is new and is a new idea for Best Western. The property was fresh, very interesting interior. The staff were excellent. The rooms are small and seating in the room is limited. The bathrooms are spacious and bright. The room was exceptionally clean. The breakfast area was nice but nothing out of the ordinary for a breakfast included hotel. I would have given this property five stars had it not been for the noise from the rooms above. I stayed on the fourth floor and because the rooms have no carpeting, the neighbor above you sends every foot step they take into your room. If your looking for a very nice, exceptionally clean and new hotel and don't mind a bit of the noise from above, I would recommend this property. Suggest a room on the fourth floor because that's the only floor where you won't hear the noise from above.
This fairly new Best Western is in a good location with adequate amenities, pretty comfortable rooms, and a free breakfast. The problem is new paint, new furniture, and new amenities didn't change the fact that this is still just a two-star establishment - and the customer service (or lack thereof) proved this to be true. Compared to other hotels, the front desk etiquette of this hotel is horrible. From the moment we checked in, to inquiries about local eateries, to checking out - the two (sometimes three) people sitting and chatting at the front desk did nothing to make you feel welcome, and instead made us feel like we were bothering them every time we approached the desk. Such a shame because this place had so much potential; however, do yourself a favor and stay at any of the other hotels in the area that at least tries to make your stay a pleasant one...
Nice, newly built Best Western in Asheville, Rooms are clean, comfortable and chic with all the modern amenities. Good breakfast and pool available to relax. Reasonably priced for a great stay. Would definitely book again when in the Asheville area.
This is really a great place to stay. The place was clean. The breakfast was good. Best of all they had a EV charging station. Just one. But they had one. It is a short drive to go where you can dine or site see.
The staff was very welcoming, and greeted us daily with smiles and hellos. The room was adequate but dark if the shades were drawn...more lighting needed. Breakfast was good, in a clean environment. No carpeting caused us to hear often the noise above us, especially suitcases being moved. All In all, however, we would stay in this chain again. Stay on the backside of hotel-much quieter.
Room was a little small. Luggage racks would have been helpful, but I don't know where they would have fit. One easy chair in room was very hard, like sitting on a bench. There was an office chair. I did not expect the room to have a safe—nice surprise—but in the 3 days we were there the staff was unable to get it to work. Glad I didn't put anything in it and not be able to get it out until the right staff was on duty to open it. The TV was a large size for such a small room, but nice to have. The shower was a rain shower and no way to angle it. Linens and bedding were new and appreciated. One outstanding feature we were most thrilled about was the free electric car charging station. We gushed to the staff about it, but I think we may have been the only ones to ever use it. A parking spot was not marked for charging, but the cord reached to 4 possible parking spots, so we were able to take full advantage of it.
Stayed here 2 separate nights within one week recently. Great place for couples. It's about 3-4 miles from downtown and a little confusing to get around with what seems like a hundred different 'highways' all merging to and from. Room was spotless, staff at front desk was super helpful. Check in took maybe 3 minutes each time and check out was a breeze. The free breakfast was top notch too. No complaints. Would stay here again without a second thought.
My family was staying in the area to visit the Biltmore. The hotel had free parking. It had large clean updated rooms. The beds were quite comfortable! We would stay again when back in the area. Typically continental breakfast with plenty of tables/chairs.
This property was excellent from the very beginning. Extremely friendly and most helpful staff, Gorgeous rooms, A Killer bathroom for this mid-range of a motel. The beds were super comfy and the wi-fi was excellent! The breakfast was very nice, had both hot and cold items and they have an indoor pool! We have stayed over 20 years at MANY of the mid-range motels in Asheville and this will now be the one we keep returning to.
New, clean, comfortable & a great value. I loved the funky decor. Breakfast was just okay, typical motel offerings The bathroom was really nice with a large shower. It's always nice to have a refrigerator and microwave. We would stay here again.
We were made aware of GLO when booking through the Best Western network. This is an upgraded facility at pricing similar to a Best Western Plus hotel. The room was well appointed and featured a large walk in shower. Everything was in working order and the front desk staff were very helpful with all requests. Every morning the breakfast area was well maintained with ample food on offer. When available, we will be using the GLO facilities during future travel.
Staff was very helpful during our stay for our anniversary. Every person we encountered that worked there was extremely nice. Breakfast was hot, well stocked and lots to choose from. Stay was great and hotel was nice
This place is only six months old, so everything is clean and tidy. The decor is very modern and attractive. Our room was roomy and comfortable, and staff folks were friendly and efficient. The included breakfast was fine. I don't see how you can do better for the money.
My kids and I made a quick trip to Asheville to visit our grandma in the hospital. My first impression of the hotel was uncomfortable. Very modern for my liking. The vinyl flooring makes the people above you sound very loud, from their footsteps to bags rolling across the floor late at night. The hotel itself is very clean. Loved the shower. My kids thought it was an awesome hotel and loved the pool. Breakfast was so so~
Two exceptional things: We forgot our soap (we are very pick about it). GLo had cruelty free, vegan, amazing shower gel and hair products; I even used it on my toddler! The second was that after dinner I wanted dessert. Restaurants were closed already but GLo had many sweet healthy options at their little Store! I was so pleased and happy!
Guess this place is only 5-6 months old. It was fresh and new and a great place to stay. It is on Tunnel Road (hotel row) and a 5 minute jaunt to downtown Asheville. Has an indoor pool and small workout room. Everyone was helpful and we would highly recommend this place. Guess the Best Westerns are going this route in the future. Very modern with sleek lines. Beds and pillows were very comfy.
I hope we will be seeing more of these new hotels. Love the style, new, modern, just fantastic. The staff is great and the breakfast items are fresh. We stayed one night. I could stay there permanently.
Needed place for an overnight stay and searched a hotel search site for price and specific location. Not only did Glo check those two boxes, the rating was extremely good. The room was large and bright, great bathroom, nice bed (Altho wasn't crazy about the pillows). Breakfast was very good. Location was perfect for our needs.
I loved the "funky vibe" style of this new hotel, and the accommodations were very clean, bright and comfortable. Free breakfast was well-stocked, and the bed was very comfortable. Non-carpet floor made me feel the room was definitely clean and allergy-proof. I would recommend this hotel, and I will return if in Asheville again.
We had gotten together with family. We drove in from the coast & they drove in from Western Ohio. We were meeting to disburse our mother's ashes, so kind of a sad occasion, but we were happy with the hotel. The pool was clean & inviting, workout room had plenty to keep us busy & the breakfast was great... We all sat together in the lobby & had a leisurley breakfast & checked out. My husband would like to come back to Asheville & look around the town, this is where we will be staying. & I will be looking for Glo's when we travel to other cities in the future...
Chose this hotel for a conference we were attending. Normally I go for a B & B in Asheville but the style of the place had me intrigued as I just love mid-century modern. The hotel and staff were great. Easy location to get in and out of as well. Close to lots of chain restaurants and shopping.
Clean hotel, there was hair in the shower though. The breakfast is amazing! Not much parking. If you want to sleep, this isn't the place to stay though. I was woken up multiple times in the night from doors slamming, you can hear every footstep, chairs sliding across floor, heavy bathroom Doors shutting, from the people staying above you which woke me up yet again and it was persistent, so I wasn't able to go back to sleep. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend nor stay here again.
I really liked this place. Nice level up from a standard hotel room. My boyfriend booked this place quite literally last minute for our anniversary. We weren't planning to go out or anything but we're only a few hours from Asheville and he knew I'd love it. Room was chic and clean with modern touches and accommodations.
Found this hotel to be a convenient location to tour the following state parks: Chimney Rock, MT Mitchell and a Grandfather Mountain. Made a day trip to each. If you were going to the Biltmore it would work for that to. I had been there before. Ingles is close by for gas and a deli meal with a place to sit at a table and enjoy a good meal at a reasonable price.
My friends and I chose to stay at this hotel for our girls' trip to Asheville. The hotel is brand new and modern. It is convenient to all areas of Asheville. We drove everywhere and nothing took more than 10 minutes. I found the beds to be comfortable and the breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay here again.
New, very clean. I picked Glo for the price $110 (including taxes) for one night with a king bed. From My research, one of least expensive places in Asheville. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices.
We stayed 5 nights at the Glo in Asheville and it was very nice. The hotel is convenient to downtown, the Biltmore Village and The Grove Park Inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was beautiful. The beds and pillows were also very comfortable..
Close to Asheville and Interstate. Very modern, clean and well priced. Beds comfy, bathroom modern and clean. Faux wood floors and “clean remote” for the germ conscious. Kids liked the small window seat and modern rolling chair for chilling out. Very helpful staff and great breakfast (included) in morning - eggs, bacon, cinnamon rolls, and other continental breakfast items. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
The hotel was clean and new. It was nice not having carpet in our room. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. The rooms are not huge, but they certainly were adequate. I would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
Very clean and a different neat place to stay. Needed a place for Nashville and saw they had one in Asheville as well. Booked a room in each town. Asheville Glo is much nicer! Very friendly staff as well.
We were very impressed with the appearance of the hotel and the competence and friendliness of the entire staff. We will recommend this Hotel to friends traveling to the Asheville area. It is easy to get to the hotel and convenient to the downtown area.
When I visit the VA Health Center this hotel is my first choice. A very clean, well maintained hotel with a exceptional, friendly staff. It is very conveniently located for travel throughout the Asheville area.
The hotel is new and clean. I like the concept, it is very much like the TRU by Hilton brand except the floors and walls were paper thin. I felt like we could hear elephants above us all night. It even kept a 12 and 14 year old up all night and they were exhausted from our daily schedule. The breakfast was pretty good but the coffee was awful. Also, we know the hotel is very new but please check the chlorine levels in the pool. It was so strong we were overpowered by it and only stayed a short amount of time. Overall we would probably choose a different hotel based on the noise from the floor and adjoining rooms.
we really enjoyed our stay at GLo BW. We like the new minimalist approach, the walk in shower, the barn door for the bathroom/ closet. My wife thought the bed could have been more comfortable, but overall and for the price, we loved our stay.
My wife and I were on our way to Nashville, TN when we decided to make a stop. The halfway point from our home to Nashville, just happened to be Asheville. We didn't look long to find a hotel to stay at. Just picked the first hotel that looked nice with a reasonable price. About the Hotel: The hotel is situated perfectly off the interstate and easily accessible. It's location couldn't be more perfect from downtown Asheville. You literally make a right turn out of the place, hop on the interstate and your in downtown within 5 minutes. The hotel staff were all extremely nice. The hotel was clean throughout the lobby all the way to the rooms. The room was more than we expected. If you go, they have their own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash pumps in the shower. I recommend using them because they were great for my hair and smelled great! Btw, the breakfast isn't any normal hotel breakfast of bagels, cereal, and waffles. They have oatmeal, grits, eggs, sausage links, biscuits, sausage gravy, waffles, fresh yogurt, etc. this was a full spread. Asheville is an amazing place to go. If your a beer fan, I recommend going to do the Wicked Weed your. It's completely free and you get to sample beer. Beer is actually cheaper than most bars here. And they even give you “Wicked Weed” tokens to take over to their Funkatorium(has their sour beers). All in all we enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back to Asheville on our way back from Nashville and again to have our own little vacation here in the future.
New hotel. Very nice, clean and modern. Plenty of parking. Comfy bed. Kerig coffee in the room. Good breakfast. Nice gym. The only negative is the pool doesn't open until 10 am so if you like to take a morning swim that's out. They should open it at 7 or so so ppl can use it in the am. I would go back.
We were super happy with this little hotel. Note that if you like interior hallways this is not the hotel for you. It is a two-story , several building walk up to your room hotel. The breakfast was great they even had some gluten-free bread options which was a nice treat for those of us who cannot have gluten. The pool was clean and not overly crowded. It's a great location central to all sorts of hiking in to being in sites to see in Asheville. Staff at check-in was super helpful and quickly fix the problem I had with my cable TV. The hotel seem to either have been just filled or recently redone because everything looked new and sparkly clean. They do have those super small strange pillows so bring your own pillow if you want a normal size pillow but I find this the case at all the best restaurants lately. We will definitely stay here again as the price was right and it was just a nice little spot.
Brand spankin' new hotel just outside of Asheville! We booked this hotel online, site unseen, and so glad that we did. The hotel is fun and funky. Great interiors, awesome service, good prices and clean as a whistle. Super comfy beds and nice amenities in the bathroom. The breakfast was not stellar but with so many dining options in Asheville, this is not a problem. We would absolutely stay here again!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Really enjoyed staying there. Place was new and model looking. Nice parking lot also. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through the area.
Nice, newer hotel but trying a bit too hard to be trendy. Rooms are on the small side and the bed is right near the door. No wall separation between the door and the bed. Bathroom and fixtures very nice. The beds were comfortable enough but the pillows were were too hard. Is it worth $20 dollars over a nice Best Western or Fairfield Inn? Hmm...not so sure. May be 20 dollar extra over the Best Western next to it.
I was one of the first guest to stay here in March 2019 and I wrote a glowing review of Glo. I stayed here again in June and the place is still amazing! The friendliness of the staff and the quality of the hotel and amenities that are offered for such a reasonable price have made me a loyal customer. I have family that I visit regularly in Asheville and this will be the only hotel I will stay at.
We cam for medical appointments for my daughter, who brought her service dog. The staff was incredibly friendly, I love the “cool” vibe of the hotel, and all the bright colors. The pool and pool area were very clean. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable and loved the nice, very large, shower. Breakfast was also had alot to choose from and very good (especially for being included).
We were somewhat disappointed with our four night stay at this facility. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but that was about it. When we checked in our bathroom was not fully stocked and on our last day there was no extra roll of toilet paper to be found. The floors in the rooms are wood and every night you could hear the people upstairs walking around, which is particularly annoying in the middle of the night. It's an unfortunate unintended consequence of the hard wood floors. The lobby area had modern style furniture that looked nice, but was extremely uncomfortable. They had two large rocking chairs that looked inviting, but when you sat in them they leaned forward which made them uncomfortable. The backs on the cushioned seating area was tall, ridged and straight up making it uncomfortable for sitting back and relaxing. The person(s) at the company's corporate office that selected the furniture should try using what they purchased...I'm sure they would be equally disappointed. And perhaps what was most disappointing was that when we expressed our dissatisfaction to management their response was one of indifference. We plan on avoiding GLo here on out on our travels.
We stopped here for an overnight stay to break up our trip. Nicely done hotel. Kids loved the room and all it modern touches. The lobby/breakfast area was well laid out. Good breakfast that included hot and cold items.
We normally stay at a Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn or the like. We were in town for a tournament and the room blocks booked by the tournament staff at other hotels were all much more expensive and did not provide free breakfast. So, we decided to look on our own for a room at another hotel and found this one. I admit that we do not normally look at Best Westerns, as they normally have more of a motel atmosphere. This appears to be very competitive with the Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inns. The rooms were very sleek and clean. I loved the roomy shower with glass doors instead of having the normal bath tub/shower combo with fabric/clingy/stick to your naked body shower curtain. I liked the idea of not having carpeting in a hotel room, it felt much cleaner. The breakfast was ample and very good. The staff was all super friendly anytime we were going in or out of the hotel. A guest burned toast early one morning which caused the fire alarm to go off for the hotel. It was not extremely bothersome for us because our alarm was getting ready to go off in 15 minutes anyway. However, as we checked out, the worker at the front desk was extremely apologetic and hopeful that it had not ruined our stay. I appreciated the kindness. We will look to the new GLo line in future travels.
We were very happy with this property. only 3 months old, I think and it looked like it. Very pristine and modern. Liza at front desk was very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again on our next trip to or through Asheville.
This is a very lovely and clean motel. It is new so I do hope they stay this nice. The beds were so comfy and they provide loads of pillows!! It is very convenient to downtown Asheville. We were very pleased with the service and all the people who work there that we encountered with very nice!! There is a Kuerig in the room. We didn't have the breakfast but there seemed to be plenty of choices. But the coffee in the breakfast area was not good. It wasn't a big deal we just went to one of the many local coffee house for our caffeine fix!! We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.
We went to Asheville for a vacation trip bringing along 3 grand kids as well. The first look upon arrival was definitely enticing. The Glo nameplate makes the place a great departure from classic Best Westerns. Decor and surroundings are modern, stimulating, and inviting without being brash, uppity or standoffish. We found the reception staff extremely welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms modern and very clean, wall insulation effective, A/C quiet, WiFi functional. Breakfast area is roomy and bright and the food quality quite good. We wish there are more than just one waffle maker because 2 minutes and a half is a long time to wait, particularly when several guests are standing in line. Either that or replacing it with a self-running pancake maker. A nice well-equipped spacious gym room and an indoor swimming pool make the place perfect for a healthy family vacation. We stayed at this Glo for 3 nights, having booked 2 rooms, and have nothing to regret.
This place has a new modern touch with lots of blue and yellow. The front desk staff was really friendly. the breakfast had lots of hot and cold choices. The rooms were also decorated with a modern touch. Just a overall nice stay.
Loved the building design inside and out! Loved the shower without a tub and the plant based shampoo, conditioner, and body soap...loved how it wasn't in little bottles but rather a refillable pump. Loved no carpet on the floor! Staff was super friendly!
Brand new facility. Location is easy to access and to get to other areas of the city. We had never been in the area before and the front desk was really helpful in pointing us toward food and drink and other activities.
We stayed here for 3 nights on a trip around Georgia and the Carolinas. The hotel is modern and clean with plenty parking spaces and the staff at the front desk are extremely helpfull. Breakfast is good and sets you up for the day. There is a convenience store next door and it's an easy drive to downtown Ashville, the mountains and Biltmore estate. Ashville itself has more than enough good restaurants and bars and it's only a short taxi ride away. It's easier and cheaper to get a Lyft or Uber and Liza at the front desk helped me set up the app. The fare is about $8 and cost of this is more than covered by the difference in cost of staying here compared to a downtown hotel. Really enjoyed my stay at Glo.
I've stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions, once with my family and once for business travel. The property is brand new and the staff was very courteous and helpful. Though the property is a 5-6 minute car/Uber/hotel shuttle ride to downtown Asheville, NC - very convenient and a real value. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.
This property is an excellent value for the business traveler. Clean up to date with everything one needs to complete their work day..Friendly helpful staff. Plus location location location. Close to all of Asheville's attractions..Spacious comfortable rooms with heating and cooling that is wispier QUIET A staff that puts the guest first.
The hotel was stylish and the rooms were nice and the beds very comfortable. Being new, there was a few items in the room that they could improve on (this info has been shared with the hotel), but they weren't items that would make me change my review or my rating.
I really loved the room, design was great, and extremely clean. Family was very pleased. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Shower was great, with cool shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. Amenities nice. We also enjoyed the pool area.
Nice new hotel! Excellent value for the money! The beds and pillows are awesome! Breakfast offered everything from eggs, waffles to biscuits and gravy. Great parking, Internet was fast, big screen TV and roomie desk space.
The hotel is very new. The parking lot was well paved and mostly flat. That is very important to me as I usually stay in Asheville when I ride the Blue Ridge Parkway or go to Chimney Rock. The desk staff was very nice. Spent a lot of time with my wife discussing area attractions. Later that evening, they were able to show me how to hook my laptop up to the internet. The breakfast was much better than expected. The dining room is large enough to accommodate several people. We enjoyed it so much that we made reservations for our return leg in a couple of weeks.
My Family and I Took My Mother For Mother's Day Weekend... It Was Our First Time Staying Here... GLo Is Beautiful On The Inside and Out... Friendly Staff... Huge Complimentary Breakfast... and A Variety Of Items In The Sundry Shop... We've Already Recommended GLo To Our Family and Friends...
very clean and easy access to expressways. hot breakfast was perfect. the staff was extremely nice and attentive. Swimming pool and workout room was inviting however you had to walk through the lobby to get there so dress appropriately.
This hotel had only been open a few weeks before our stay. Check-in went smoothly and we were given a room on the top floor as we had requested. When we entered the room we both commented about the uncomfortably cool temperature; the A/C was set at 65 degrees per the room thermostat (one would think hotels would be more energy conscious). As we surveyed the room we saw a small, low-to-the-floor, refrigerator (temperature not adjustable); a small safe mounted on the floor in an awkward location in the closet; a large flat screen television (excellent picture but the volume couldn't be adjusted any lower than Level 16 for some reason); and ultra-modern bedside lamps whose on-off switches were mounted too high to be reachable while lying in bed. There was a Keurig coffeemaker but there were no tea pods for my wife. Notably absent was a microwave. As I was returning the luggage cart to the lobby I asked the desk clerk about the lack of a microwave, and she said that king rooms did not have microwaves (presumably other rooms do), but she didn't know the reasoning. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. We tried to use the safe the first morning, but several attempts to program a code resulted in an "error" message (I didn't report this until checkout). Upon returning to our room late that afternoon we noticed our room was partially serviced (used towels removed but not replaced). We attempted to call the front desk but found that the room phone wasn't working, so I called from my cell phone and replacement towels were promptly provided. I had excellent scrambled eggs and sausage for breakfast both mornings of our stay. My wife had excellent oatmeal the first morning, but her oatmeal the second morning wasn't nearly as good; she wondered if it might have been leftover from the previous day. My wife couldn't find any decaf tea bags at the breakfast bar. At checkout we were appreciative of the partial compensation we received on the room rate for the second night for the inconveniences we noted.
The folks at the front desk are great. The hotel is new and has it's nice points for sure, but tries too hard to stand out. Colors sort of too bold. Comfy beds, but dysfunctional furniture that left me a little frustrated that someone actually paid money for it. Pretty pricey based on location and accommodations, but I don't know the hotel market in that area and stuff looked pretty pricey everywhere that weekend.
This is a very comfortable and relaxing hotel. The hotel is brand new so our room was excellent and sparkling clean. The location was great being close to all the areas of Asheville we wanted to see as well a day trip to Chimney Rock. We would definitely stay here again.
Reserved a room at this hotel several weeks before our trip. Got there and were told that no mountain view rooms were available by a staff member who was not willing to do anything other than say this is the only room available. The sheets and pillow cases were like sandpaper, there are no carpets so the noise was incredible, and when we put on the TV the volume would not go below 16 on the remote. Poorly managed and poor location, if I can I will attach a picture of the awful view out our window. We left immediately in the morning and the breakfast was as bad as the Service we had!
The Hotel was easy to find.. very clean inside and out .. the breakfast was awesome .. the pool was very clean (it was a little chilly but not bad) and my daughter had a blast jumping in! Great place! Will definitely come back!
This is a really nice new place. Rooms are very clean and well equipped with a big tv and very comfortable bed and pillows. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the tile floors. I'm a fan of carpet. But other than that I loved the place. Great black out blinds so no light bothers you. Typical breakfast but it's good for what it is. The staff we encountered were very friendly and professional. I highly recommend it
My wife and I stayed here as walk ins, this wasn't an issue, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very European in feel. Everything had a purpose. We could not hear neighbors, which was awesome. The hallways are very well lit. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. WAFFLES!!! Will stay here every time we come back to Asheville.
Fantastic town! The hotel was situated in a great spot, close to all attractions. The rooms are not your normal size, they are huge! So much space to move around. The pool was great on rainy days. Will definitely be back.
This seemed to be a brand new hotel. Location was convenient but then Asheville isn't that big. You had to make a left without a signal light to get on to a 4+ lane highway to go toward the city or interstate but it wasn't too difficult. The place was very clean and staff was nice. It had a small indoor pool I didn't try and a decent workout room that I didn't have to share during my three workouts there. Complimentary breakfast ran from 6-10 and was better than average with ample room to eat even when busy. The rooms were attractive - the bathroom door was a slider that doubled as the closet door, which could be slightly awkward and it didn't lock. I would have preferred a carpeted room but I imagine this is much easier to clean. Shower was large and had verbena soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers. Bathroom overall was very nice and roomy. There were lots of cable stations although onscreen directories would have been helpful to navigate. TV was reasonable size for the room although it could be hard to see well if you sleep in the bed not in front of it because the room is long and skinny. Beds were comfortable and rooms had small amounts of storage space, iron/board, small fridge (no freezer), Keurig, and microwave. Blinds allowed room to get very dark. I didn't hear any road noise or much noise from neighbors. However our first room (221) had very loud noises we couldn't quite identify - almost like loud winds and I couldn't tell where it was coming from. We moved to room 223 (next paragraph will explain why) and it was completely quiet so it must have been exclusive to room 221. Only issue in room 223 was that the bathroom/closet sliding door was so stiff, it was a fight to get it opened or closed. After 2 nights, we lost hot water in room 221, therefore were forced to move or wait for the water issue to be looked at the next day, which was sort of a hassle. I was told that management would be alerted and I inferred this meant a credit for our trouble would be given although that didn't seem to happen so I might have misunderstood. Most nights they had games available in the breakfast area, which was nice. Value seemed pretty good overall for the area. The rooms and design reminded me of an Aloft hotel we stayed at last summer, although the Aloft in Asheville was much more expensive (it is downtown though). We were pleased overall and would stay again.
Our baseball team stayed here for a local tournament. The Staff has excellent customer service and very friendly! Our room was nice and comfortable. Very kid friendly. Breakfast was great and speedy checkout! Definitely would recommend staying at this hotel if you are in the area!
Of the many trips visiting Asheville, this was our first stay at GLo Best Western and what a wonderful experience this was! Even though it's not in the heart of downtown, your are literally within a few minutes drive of everything Asheville has to offer WITHOUT all the highway noise or congestion. Upon arrival, the color scheme of white, blue & yellow on the outside make the hotel easy to find. The lobby & lounge area are very open and spacious. Surprisingly, during breakfast it provides seating for many guests without that crowded feeling because of the layout & seating. There is also an AVL airport tv monitor next to the elevators that broadcasts in real time to see if your flight is on time or delayed. We loved how the rooms were not carpeted, very clean AND smelled clean! The bed was comfy & had lots of pillows. Oddly, the recessed sink was a personal favorite since I never had to worry about things falling into it as I was getting ready & I could rest my forearms on the high rim while washing my face without getting water all over the counter! There was SO much counter space in the bathroom & the glass shower door was a nice, refreshing change from a wimpy shower curtain. A full length mirror on the outside of the bathroom door was another user friendly perk. The staff was wonderful - warm, friendly yet also very professional. When parking was a little troublesome one evening, they were quick to assist by recommending a smaller but safe place to move our motorcycle so we could use that spot to park our SUV coming back from the concert. Looking forward to staying at GLo again!
When we walked in to this hip and new hotel, we were impressed. By the end of night 1, we could tell that this hotel was all about looks. In short, mattresses felt cheap, pillows are terrible and you can hear every foot step your upstairs neighbor makes. To me more specific, it sounded like elephants lifting weights upstairs. There are other details that are part of my poor review, but the above are what really affected our stay. The rooms are also right on the highway, so you can hear cars during busy hours, but we knew and expected that to be the case. Again, hotel is shiny new and super cool looking, but not great for sleep.
Love this new hotel! Very modern. Very clean. Love the walk-in showers! The beds are comfy, and the pillows are excellent. Love the oversized pillows. Perfect for sitting up to watch tv in bed. We would definitely stay here again!
The rooms had a functional with a clean design - bathroom was big enough! The location was good in that we could get to whever we wanted within a 10 minute drive. Great pool and gym! I Easy access from freeways. Plumbing was a bit noisy from neighbors. The bed was comfortable but I struggled to find the right pillow.
We had a very comfortable stay at The Glo. The facility was clean and the staff were super friendly! If we ever come back to Ashville, we will definitely stay here!! My only complaint was that the pool was very chilly.
The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and greeted us each time we left or came in. The rooms are aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Large bathroom/shower. Breakfast was okay, we caught the end of it when not much was left. So can't really judge, but smelled great!
Stayed at this hotel on a girl's trip right after it opened; came back two weeks later with my family for a Spring Break trip! Everything is new and clean. Staff is top notch. Highly recommend the Glo Hotel in Asheville for your next trip!
My husband and I decided to take a weekend trip to Asheville and happened to find this hotel online. I was skeptical because it was a Best Western and didn't expect much. We decided to book it anyway and was so pleasantly surprised! This is a very nice, modern, boutique hotel and very reasonable priced! The staff were super nice and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!
Everything was so fresh and clean. Loved that there was no carpet in the room. The bed was very comfy and the shower was huge. The breakfast was awesome. Sausage, bacon, grits, biscuits and gravy, yogurt and fruit, waffles never had free breakfast that was so expansive.
I was visiting my daughter in Asheville and needed a place to stay overnight. When booking a reservation at the Best Western, I saw the Glo and decided to give it a try. My only complaint is that I only got to stay one night! The attendant at the check in desk was very friendly and helpful. But when I walked into my room, I was amazed. The room looks like a high end resort with a Best Western price! From the glass shower door to the wall of windows (with blinds instead of curtains!), the whole room was unbelievable nice! One small complaint - you can't turn on the bedside light without turning on the wall switch by the door. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices. I cannot wait to come back for a longer visit.
This was a special Anniversary trip with family. We were told to stay at Best Western in Asheville. After calling to make reservations we found out there are two Best Westerns beside each other and we went with the brand new one. It was a very pleasant trip and everything was perfect.
Had the pleasure of staying in the new Glo a week after opening, and it didn't disappoint. The hotel is clean and the layout is crisp and colorful. The rooms have everything you need to enjoy your stay, and a nice big bathroom with a large shower. The staff is extremely friend and helpful. The breakfast was above average and had several options.
We stayed two nights at this new boutique style hotel in Asheville. It had just opened! Decor and layout were fresh with nice colors. Engineered planking on the floor was quieter than expected and better than carpeting. Breakfast had quite a variety of the regulars and nicely presented. Finally the staff were friendly especially the night front desk who went out of her way to welcome us!
I felt very grateful to find this hotel when I did! I was scouting out different hotel options for an event that my company was hosting in the Asheville area, and I luckily stumbled across this hotel in my search. The GLo Hotel was able to accommodate my large group of 8 rooms, and even accommodated a last minute, night-of addition of a ninth room. The entire process was painless and easy, and all of the staff I encountered were professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was very happy to find a friendly, high quality hotel that was so conveniently located. My group had a great experience, they said check-in was smooth, breakfast was great, service was friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. More than anything, our company is grateful for the wonderful experience that our group had with y'all!
I had the pleasure of staying at this new GLo hotel last week & it was incredible. The staff was super friendly, the breakfast was awesome and the guest rooms are super comfy. If you get chance...Stay there!!
My husband and I stayed here the very first weekend it opened after we went to the Biltmore. Everything in the room was top notch. The lighting in the bathroom was perfect for putting on makeup. I loved how the room smelled when we first walked in. It was super clean! The breakfast tasted very good too. I would definitely recommend Glo to anyone looking for a hotel in Asheville.
I was looking to take my wife on a quick belated Valentines getaway to Asheville and had already had reservations to another hotel when I was doing my daily diligence checking for better rates. I just happened to find the Glo Best Western which literally just opened. They were offering a great rate & decided to give it a shot. It is a very nice place. The rooms are modern and have some new layout ideas. I liked that there is no carpet in the rooms. They are using what is either vinyl plank or sheet which has a great texture and tile in the bathroom. Nice shower with the big waterfall head and something I thought was neat in having body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in the shower. They also have a Keurig in the room along with the usual fridge and microwave. The only things I really had any issue with are things that are of personal taste. The bed to me was a little hard and there was a roll around chair and a window seat that were done in bright yellow & blue vinyl (along with a yellow lamp & door frame). Just seemed a little loud to me considering the rest of the room was modern gray/neutral colors. One other thing was that it appeared the bed lights only turned on with their switch if a switch by the door was on which in turn turned on an overhead light near the window & closet which is inconvenient if you are in bed just wanting those lights. Other than those personal/nit pick issues, I was completely satisfied with the experience. All employees I encountered and especially the front desk (Kortnee & one other lady that I can't remember her name) were very nice and helpful. Hope to visit again soon!
I was really nervous about booking here because I could not find one single review online, I was unaware that the day before we checked in was the first day it was open! Check in was a breeze, the rooms and building was really well done. Breakfast had a lot of selections and was hot and ready! The beds were comfortable and let me just tell you the bathrooms are beautiful! Will definitely make this our regular hotel to stay in when we come to Asheville especially for the price it can not be beat!
