Excellent stay all the way around from the Extra Clean Rooms to the Excellent Breakfast they provide every morning. 5 Star rating on this one!! Check in was simple and Ice and extras were easy to get to.

Great Asheville Hotel if you're in town and want a reasonably priced hotel. It's in a great location on Tunnel Road very close to everything you could possibly need. I enjoy led the receptionist at the hotel when I checked in and when I checked out. The housekeepers did a great job taking care of our room. We'll definitely stay here again when we're back in Asheville.

Room was clean. Location was wonderful. The staff at the front desk was helpful and pleasant. Our main reason for staying was we passed through and wanted something close to local breweries and it worked out great.

We booked 2 rooms for our group just overnight for Thanksgiving. The place is kept super clean, that is our first priority. The beds were cozy and the internet worked great. Cable tv was good, lots of channels available. We will return in the future.

This hotel was located close to the downtown area. It is priced well. It was clean and beds were comfortable. There's plenty of room and included a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast had a lot of good options. We stayed 2 nights and would stay again.

We wanted a location that afforded easy access to both South and North Asheville. The Tunnel Road Best Western was perfect in this regard with easy access to I240 without the feeling you are at an interstate interchange. The property is very well maintained and clean. And the staff were friendly and helpful. Clearly both management and staff take pride in providing a good experience for travelers.

We checked in this hotel after going to The Biltmore. Check in was quick. Was thanked for being a rewards member. Room was nice and clean. Nice they offer complimentary water and candy in room. Hotel was quiet at night so no issue sleeping. Breakfast was nice with a lot of choice to choose from. This hotel has one of the nicest breakfast we have stayed in. We will make sure to stay at this hotel next time in Asheville.

I was pleasantly surprised with the accomiation of (full-breakfast) along with super clean rooms at an affordable price. I usually stay at other Hotel Chains, but that has now changed for Best Western is now my go-too!

Fast checkin and clean quiet comfortable room. Many places to eat were less than a 5 minute drive. Good breakfast with the normal choices found in mid-priced properties. Would stay again and it is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The room was decorated nicely , bed was comfortable, and it was a restful place after a long day. There was a good variety to choose from at breakfast. Front desk staff was helpful with directions. Good value for $$

We went to Asheville to see the Fall color on the Blueridge Parkway. We picked this hotel because we knew BW always had good value and good breakfast. Turns out the location was also a big PLUS... just a couple miles from a Parkway access that was close to both the Cultural Arts Center and the main Parkway Visitor Center. They met my BW expectations.. clean room, reasonable price (we went mid-week, because weekend prices get kind of crazy), and lots of good breakfast choices. The four of us played cards every night, and they were kind enough to let us use a table in their breakfast area... which also included juice and coffee at night. all the staff were courteous and helpful.

Nice room with small refrigerator, microwave and safe to lock up any valuables while we hiked the Blue Ridge trails. Friendly staff and a good breakfast to start your day. So close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown Asheville for dinner and a great cup of coffee on a cold day.

Excellent location to go to the Biltmore Estate as well as downtown Asheville. Wonderful staff, great breakfast. Reasonably priced. Staff had great recommendations for dinner options and they turned out to be excellent.

This was either the 3rd or 4th time I've stayed in this specific hotel. When we checked in they had to get the housekeeping list before assigning rooms. Shortly after checking in the guy from the front desk barged into the room and when he realized we were sitting there he said "oh, I'm sorry, this room was reported as being dirty by the cleaning staff." He did not explain or offer to move us to a different room... just left. I know for a fact that rooms are classified by cleanliness and working order and then assigned to patrons in order of their status (rewards, non rewards, etc.) and also by the rates. I've seen the lists before and how they were assigned. It would seem that we were given a shabby dirty room even though I'm a rewards member... We also noticed that every time we went into the room our sinuses immediately stopped up and the room smelled musty and not fresh and the AC was super loud and "dank musty" smelling like mold. The water pressure was horribly low and it was hard to get rinsed in the shower. The two queen beds sloped downward towards the head and the mattresses seemed worn out and were impossible to sleep on. Also, the people in the next door room seemed to be staying long term and had multiple visitors in "van life" vans and slammed their door many many times and talked really loud all night during our 3 night stay. I'm not one to complain usually but, in this instance I'm not sure I'll be staying there again due to the problems.

Our room was so musky! You could barely breathe. I went back to the desk to ask for another the employee wasn't there. I went several times the next day because of that, the sheets were dirty when we got there, also I wanted another blanket because the one I had was so thin. The employee was never at the desk. I finally set in the lobby for a good amount of time(on vacation) the employee came out of the bathroom and had been vaping. He had it in his hand and breathed smoke out!

Nice pet-friendly hotel with good breakfast! The room was clean, spacious, and updated. The pet fee was reasonable at $20 per night. The exterior entry doors worked well for my dog. There is also a nice grassy area behind the hotel for walking your dog.

The bedroom smells funny, I think it was cigarette smell but for the price I can't really complain, it does the job, O would stay there if I need to. The good thing is that is very close to the main attractions in downtown, no more than 10-15 minutes. It has a pool

I have stayed at the Best Western Asheville now 3 times this year. They are very pet friendly and I enjoy some "me" time with my dogs. Best Western Tunnel Rd is a super convenient location in Asheville and has this wonderful, grassy area equipped with doggie bags and trash can to walk your pets. They also keep the pool super clean and sparkly!

I read reviews online prior to booking my stay here, and I don't know why some of them were so low. One night, I stayed in a room with king bed (second floor), and then stayed in an interior king suite two additional nights. I was allowed to bring my dogs, too, and they had a great time! Both the normal room and suite were well-kept, clean, and updated. The Wifi and cable worked well, and the pool hours were lengthy (10A-10P). The staff was pleasant and attentive, and there were multiple options for the warm breakfast. Our location was perfect, as the motel was only a few miles from downtown Asheville and where we boarded our other two dogs in Swannanoa. If given the chance, I'll stay here again.

Room was musty and AC couldn't help. The property is older and can use a revamp. Breakfast was not great. Eggs & sausage was cold & sausage was inedible. There are other options like cereal, oatmeal, bananas.

Location is not too far away from downtown Asheville. Not many food options directly close to hotel but Asheville has too many places that are tremendous. Room was clean and air condition worked well. Clean towels, clean sheets. Beds were comfortable. Pool was in great shape even though weather was not permitting us to swim.

This motel was very nice, with big rooms with microwave, refrigerator. The beds were comfortable and set up very nice. The breakfast was good with eggs, gravy, sausage, waffles, fruit, variety of bread and fruits. The staff seem to be attentive to everyone's needs.

The room was clean and comfortable. and the price was good. It's in a great location, only about 5 miles for Biltmore Estate. We also took a tour bus around the town of Asheville. the driver was very informative and interesting and the buildings are gorgeous!! We plan to make the trip again in December and will stay at Bet Western.

This is our second stay at this location. Close to highway, mall, restaurants, etc. We had special request which was arranged for before we checked in. Breakfast room nice and clean. Seemed like someone was always cleaning inside and out! All staff very friendly.

Great hotel convenient to downtown asheville. Room was clean and hotel grounds were taken care of. Free breakfast was good and convenient. Would definitely be staying here again on my travel to asheville. Easy chech in and easy check out took only a minute.

Had a wonderful stay. The breakfast options were nice and tasty. The hotel isn't new but they keep it exceptionally clean. The staff was wonderful also. No complaints! I would consider their Glo location next door if you're looking for something a bit more modern!

Excellent location for visiting the beautiful city of Asheville and had a nice clean well equipped room. Our room had easy access and was very quiet. The staff was very attentive to our needs and friendly. We enjoyed the morning breakfasts and the nice atmosphere for eating there. We enjoy visiting the city of Asheville and always do our touring from The Best Western.

I woke up at 3:00AM and turned on the light. Roaches scattered across the room like quail started in a field. I got dressed, packed my travel bag and left. Any facility that uses routine pest control services would not have the amount of roaches I saw in my room. Still turns my stomach 24 hours later.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times, and they never disappoint. Front staff and breakfast workers are always nice and friendly. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the outdoor pool is nice. Lots of channels on the tv. Also, I have allergies, so I checked the filters in the air conditioner to see if I needed to rinse them off - nope, clean as a whistle!

Excellent hotel! Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a nice variety and was well stocked and clean. The room was super clean and had everything you need. The bed was comfy and the room was nicely updated. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. Parking was a little limited but not a huge issue. Overall great stay and would definitely stay again!

On most days, I might have given this hotel a 3 or 4 star. It is a complex of multiple 2-storey older buildings with exterior entrances, but is well-maintained and has the modern conveniences that we expect and appreciate. Pool, very substantial breakfast, well-maintained grounds, superior check-in staff... it is a very attactive place for families and kids to stay. Ours was a 2-day stay to visit with family. We checked in early, and were informed that the rooms were being steam-cleaned that day. No problem. We were, in fact, pleased to hear that the hotel took pride in doing regular maintenance. On our late return, we found that the carpet and tile floors were still wet, and the bedding was damp and cold. It was too late, and we were too tired to deal with concerns that night. The worst of it was the smell - musty, smoky and dank. The staff was very good about addressing our concerns the next morning. Again, we were gone for the day into the late evening. When we returned, a dehumidifier was in the room, the odor had abated somewhat, the carpet was drying, but the humidity still registered over 80%. But it was definitely much better than the first night. We loved the attractiveness of the place overall, though it felt a little out of the way, and there are no major facilities within walking distance that we could see. The staff in the breakfast area were constantly cleaning, and the grounds were being tended to by another staff member. The breakfast room is in the main part of the hotel in a separate building that does have a few rooms with an inside hallway. It also had a large aquarium. The breakfast menu consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, pre-made omlet packages, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and waffles with available toppings. The bathroom is modern and functions well. There were only two bath towels provided, and they were not as plush as with many hotels. the bedding (apart from the unfortunate dampness) was of excellent quality. Beyond the usual amenities in the room, there was a comfortable lounger and footstool, plus a good office chair. Our stay this time left much to be desired, but I think that the facilities and staff have enough positives to have us back another time.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful with our questions. Our room was on the second floor and spacious even with two beds. All was clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom fan was rather noisy. The breakfast buffet was most impressive: Belgian waffles, omelet, sausage, biscuits with gravy, fresh fruit and much more. The breakfast seating area was large and kept refreshed. Well worth what we paid for.

The location of this hotel was great! Just off all major highways. Five minutes from Asheville. Very clean especially the breakfast area. The ladies there do any exceptional job to keep everything replenished and clean. I definitely would recommend.

Accommodations were good value for the money, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and quiet. The complementary breakfast had a large selection to choose from. The food was very good and the dining area clean and spacious. Location was perfect for us as it was just a couple of minutes from downtown. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Will stay here again the next time we visit Asheville.

They did a great job with accommodating my Mom. She's disabled and they were able to put us right near the front and the room had a handicap space right in front of it. Could not have been a better spot!

We stayed here in Mid July for 3 days. Room 137-A. The room had a very musty smell in it, which I believe came from the air conditioning system. Bathroom design was extremely awkward and small. A couple outlets didn't work. Never used the outdoor pool but it looked pretty good. Free Breakfast was basic. Ladies worked hard to keep things full. This location needs a serious updating by Best Western.

No complaints. Military rates, good breakfast, and clean facility. Pool was extremely clean for an outdoor pool. Will definitely stay here again when in the Asheville area. Roughy 5 minutes from the mall and other shopping.

The number of older hotels with exterior entrances that aren't "sketchy" are getting fewer as time goes by. This one is still good. I admit I had lower expectations before arriving, but those quickly vanished. It's well-maintained, clean, AC works very well, and the beds are super-comfy. Desk staff is very pleasant, and - bonus points - they acknowledge BW "elite" status (via the BW Mastercard) at check-in, and there were two small bottle waters waiting for us in the room, with a few pieces of candy. A pleasant surprise. Will definitely stay here next time we're in Asheville.

My wife, dog, and I stayed there one night as we were visiting friends who live outside of Asheville. The facility was wonderful. Our room had excellent air conditioning, comfortable beds, well-equipped bathroom/shower, and was quiet (no thin walls!). Our dog seemed quite relaxed in the room, lol. Plus, they have a really good dog-walking area in an area to the rear of the grounds that was quite shady and as a result, relatively cool. There were doggie bag dispensers there, too. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee was excellent. Check in/out was just right. We'd stay there again!

A fabulous experience starting with my phone call to inquire about their pet policy! Greeted at arrival by their friendly front end staff. Our room was so clean and smelled amazing (not what I have come to expect in pet friendly hotels)! The pool was well maintained. The pet walk area is clean and big enough for the dogs to stretch their legs. Breakfast included gluten free options and the associate at the breakfast station was able to answer my questions regarding ingredients. Fabulous price. This hotel far exceeded our expectations.

We stayed two nights. Rooms were very clean, staff was extremely helpful and the hot breakfast buffet in the morning was super. Lots of choices! Hotel was a great choice for us, we were extremely happy and will definitely be back.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Best Westerns. The staff was very friendly, the rooms are beautiful and very clean.The beds are very comfy and it was very quiet although it seemed a lot of rooms were full. I stayed 2 nights here for work. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was great. They had omelette, waffles, sausage, biscuits, gravy, juice, coffee, fruit, bagels, and I'm sure more I'm missing. The pool is open from 10a-10p and is nice. My room was very clean!! Comfy bed, blankets and pillows. Bathroom was as clean as you can get! I'm coming up here 2 nights a week for the next 13 weeks and this is where I'll be staying!!

One of the best hotels we have stayed at.The employees take pride in their work and go out of their way to help you feel welcomed.My grandchildren loved the pool and eating their dinner outside. Best of all was the dog park.

Overpriced and dirty room. Pool area and walkways were dirty. Better care needed. Questionable area on busy road. Not impressed and will think twice before booking at Best Western again. Very disappointed.

Excellent guest service after arriving by 2 am that night. The bed was amazing!! Room clean. I've stayed here several times. Pool is great and the breakfast is great. Close to restaurants, shopping and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Can't say enough about BW hotels! Great quality in every way, and great value also! They have the best rewards program out there and their properties have never disappointed us! This one was no exception. Great friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and wonderful, very clean and comfortable room. We wish we could find BW Hotels in every town we stop in when we travel!

Pleasant place with good location. Staff was very nice. Breakfast buffet was very good. Pool was crystal clear. It should be noted that the hotel is very close to the road and freeway on and off exit ramps with heavy traffic at times. While it takes awareness entering and exiting the hotel parking lot, the rooms were surprisingly quiet.

We really liked the best western Asheville Tunnel Road. The room was roomy and pleasant, and such a great Breakfast buffet! We had a dog and had a good place for dogs also. Friendly staff and such an excellent location for a road trip. We will stay there again!

During the first morning, after opening up the curtains, I noticed gnats and saw what looked like ant-covered kibble and dog hairs on the floor near the window. I notified desk staff that morning, and they said they'd been short staffed, but they'd take care of it. When I returned to the room between 1-2 pm, doors were open around my room, but the floor hadn't been cleaned. I left again, thinking housekeeping would get to mine in time, but when I returned later that night, the kibble was still there. Ants too. I was in town for a memorial, so at that point, I didn't feel like asking the staff to address this issue yet again. So I just kept all my things on the other side of the room. When I checked out, I brought up the issue, and the front desk staff person was very apologetic and took off $50 or so from my room charges.

This was a clean motel with friendly staff, the room was nice and roomy with an amazing breakfast buffet!! They also had a cute lit up gazebo where you could eat or grill and allowed pets! Loved that you could just drive up to your room..we also enjoyed the spacious swimming pool outdoors! We were close to everything but yet tucked away from it all

I recommend the Best Western Asheville Tunnel Road. Conveniently located right off the exit from I-240, but quiet all the same. Pool open until 10, comfy bed, good water pressure in the shower, breakfast and wifi. What more do you need?

We stopped on our way, we didn't have a reservation. The staff found us a lovely room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The king room is large, fridge microwave large living living room chair. There is a pool and a guest laundry, plenty of parking

We have stayed at this Best Western a few other times and we were impressed with the upgrades since our last stay. Everything had new paint and the rooms had also been updated. The property was clean and quiet. We had no problems with check in and no noise during the night. Breakfast had a good variety including biscuits, gravy, sausage, fruit, yogurt and the traditional hotel waffle maker.

Room appeared clean BUT if you look at the bed you'll see hair all over and I even found a bug on each bed. It appeared to be somekind of flying bugs but still YUCK. The room smelled like mildew it was musty and horrible. I had to spray lysol just to stay in the room. It was gross. Don't do it. The carpet is about 80 years old and has never been changed atleast it doesn't look like it. Everything is damp. The bathroom appeared new but the water pressure was horrible the shower head was loose the toilet was loose on the floor and wobbled. Overall, I will NEVER stay here again.

This is a fairly large motel-style property that felt a bit dated. While you could park in front of first floor rooms, for most rooms there were still a few stairs to negotiate and you can't unload directly into your room. Breakfast was average at best, with hot entrees that were bland. Overall cleanliness was fine, though the whirlpool tub in our bedroom (a nice upgrade, but not one we requested) gave an unpleasant cleaning products smell to the bedroom. There are many other options in the area (including a new Best Western "Glo" property next door), and I'd probably try something else next time I'm in the area.

This facility has lovely rooms complete with all the usual amenities. The breakfast area is especially inviting. It has many seating options, is nicely decorated, and is unusually spacious. All staff are friendly and accommodating with all of our miscellaneous questions. But our favorite feature is the attractive, clean and well kept aquarium in the lobby directly adjoining the breakfast area!

Spent two nights at this clean and well maintained location. The hotel is surrounded by trees which adds to the Blue Ridge Mountains locale. You are close to downtown and have easy access to go other areas. I highly recommend this Best Western. One of the best we have stayed at.

Very good hotel. Rooms are well kept and clean. Bathroom was clean and all fixtures worked. This was a great location for us as it is close to the River Arts District that we were there to visit. Other places to shop and dine are also close by. There is easy access to I-240 and I-40 close by as well. Hotel parking is easy to get in and out of.

We travel to Asheville several times a year to see our family. Best Western on Tunnel Rd is our go to place to stay. It has modern amenities and is always clean. I love that we can also bring our fur baby with us. Convenient location and friendly employees.

The hotel is located 5 minutes from downtown Asheville and about 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge parkway. There are a lot of chain restaurants about 2 miles down Tunnel road. It is on a 5 lane road near several freeway ramps but I never had a problem making a left hand turn. Be advised you will need to drive everywhere there is nothing that is within walking distance. I asked for a room away from the highway on my preregistration. They gave me one in the back corner. It was very quiet. Never even heard the neighbors. The staff was professional and efficient. The property is well maintained. The room and everything else was clean. There are no elevators. There is a standard breakfast bar in the morning. They have make the pre-made omelets, biscuits, gravy and sausage patties for hot food. There is daily maid service. They did not always replace shampoo, coffee supplies, etc. but you can get them from the front desk if you ask. Pool was not yet open but they were working on it while I was there. Be advised it is in the front parking lot.

Hotel has recently been updated. Rooms are clean and bright. Wifi is excellent in rooms and breakfast area. Conveniently located with easy access to highways , downtown and River Arts district. Lots of shopping and restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices. Well stocked and area kept very clean. Three different fresh fruit choices daily. Make you own waffles and pancakes.

My husband and I have stayed in this Best Western several times over the last year. We have enjoyed our stay each time. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We chose this location from Tripadvisor reviews, as usual and we were very pleased. The location was very convenient although most of Asheville is easy to navigate. Price was very good and the facility was spotless Breakfast was typical choices and was well stocked. We had a room in rear and it was quiet. Main road is busy at times and noisy. Only one complaint. The towels were like sandpaper. I have never had such terrible towels so it stood out. Otherwise, loved the BW and would return since I assume there must have been a screw-up with laundry

Highly recommend staying here. When we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised to see the updated room. Even the bathroom shower looked great. Sometimes its just the little things to help make you feel at home. The bed was comfy and room was clean. I always bring cleaners with me due to covid but i was very impressed that they made so much effort to make us feel safe. We were unable to try the pool as it was still to cold. You do get a breakfast in the morning in the office area. It was hot and coffee was good. Pancakes, cereal, etc. Nothing was complicated about staying here. Staff were very pleasant and gotcha in and out. ALSO would like to add that we forgot an item in the room and once we figured out that that is where we left it the staff had it put aside and it was mailed to our home. We did have to pay for the service to mail it but that was not a problem to us. I just appreciate they had the item and held it for abit. Thanks to all the people and delivery company. You guys were great!

Three of us stayed here for 3 nights while exploring Ashville. It is convenient to the airport, Biltmore, downtown and arts district. The hotel is excellent. Friendly people at the desk, comfortable rooms and a quiet location. The housekeeping did an excellent job, the room was very clean(also a couple waters and tiny candies!). We were very impressed with the breakfast offerings especially the pancake machine. The breakfast room is large and kept clean and stocked. There will always be something people find wrong about a place, but this place has so many things right, even the price.

We needed a room for a quick stop mid-road trip. Traveling with a dog often complicates things, but we are so thankful Best Western welcomes pups. They were flexible with our late arrival. The green space for dogs was well kept and had baggies for waste. The room was tidy and clean as well. The beds were comfortable and the rate was quite reasonable. We would definitely book again on our way back through town.

This is our first time traveling with a dog, so we picked the hotel for its fair pet pricing and it's reviews. We were beyond pleased with everything and my husband conceded that this hotel was right up there then the high end ones he usually prefers.

Stayed here for the first time while on the road traveling. We only stayed 1 night but we had a good night sleep. Everything very clean, room updated and modern and everything in working order. I would definately recommend. There are so many other hotels in the area that are so expensive and this Best Western is budget friendly, pet friendly and breakfast is a good start to your morning. There are pancakes and coffee, cereal and more. The location is very good by shopping if you need anything. There is no reason to pay so much money for other hotels when you can get what you need right here. Highly recommend

We stayed here for several nights, and loved the hotel. It was comfortable, the breakfast was AWESOME and the staff were welcoming. We had a pet as well and they have a beautiful spot to walk the animals and it was very well maintained. The parking lot felt very secure (with camera monitoring). It's also just down the road from a nature center where we took our kids. Couldn't ask for a better stay!

We stayed 5 nights at the Asheville, NC location. Our room was the last one on the 2nd floor facing the woods, and at the opposite end from the highway so it was very quiet and comfortable. The cheese omelet at breakfast was very good. My beau enjoyed making his own delicious waffles. I too enjoyed a bagel with cream cheese. Delicious coffee.

What a great find! We could hardly believe the good deal we found. It's a slightly older property but in good repair, quiet with a pleasant staff, convenient location. We loved the big front window that opened up to the wooded hillside.

A budget hotel with a great user experience - easy check in, good breakfast, clean and quiet room. No complaints. Location was a bit disconcerting as the hotel is just off a major exit ramp, but there was no road noise, so all was good

Excellent place. We were pleasantly surprised by this motel and glad we picked it. The room was clean and didn't not have any musty or odd smells which was great! The beds were decently comfortable and could give a good nights rest. Location was quiet. It was pet friendly but we were unable to tell it was because we couldn't tell any pets had been in the room. Breakfast was alright. They had premade, frozen omelets which is not what we are used to. They had to be microwaved which slows breakfast down a lot when it's crowded. A lot of the foods needed some prep time. I'm not sure if it's a COVID thing and the lack of hot, steam tables. It was also the same types of omelets daily and no meat proteins available. They did have a variety of cereal, yogurts, pancakes, waffles, fruits, muffins and breads. All in all a good stay and would stay here again.

I have nothing but praise for the people at this hotel. From the manager to others at the front desk and the maintenance staff, their desire to serve the guests at the Ashville Tunnel Road Best Western was evident! We were not ready to navigate the expected 8 - 12 inch snowfall expected at our home on the outskirts of Mount Mitchell without a 4 wheel drive vehicle which our neighbors said we needed to get up the steep driveway. We just moved there from California at the end of December and our stay at this Best Western was in early February. We had our two cats with us, who are experienced travelers but don't like strangers coming into the room which paired well with COVID protocols. Though we had a "do not disturb" sign on the door, whenever they saw us or when the sign was not on the door, housekeeping knocked and asked if we needed anything. We stayed at several similar hotels and motels during our cross-country journey from California, and this was the ONLY hotel that checked in with us. The breakfast offers a variety of foods so we didn't have to eat the same thing every day. The dining room is comfortable and pleasant as was our room. I would not hesitate to book there again, for a short or long-term stay.

This BW is one of the best I have been in. The ones in the west are usually very good. The ones in the east are mostly outdated and worn out. This was my first in the south and it was outstanding. Shows pride of staff and owners. Remodeled rooms and lobby. Good clean rooms ,internet, hot water, comfortable beds and a filling breakfast. I recommend this if you are travelling to Ashville

Best western has become my go to place to stay. Oh and the price is tight Very clean. . Beds are amazing, I usually hurt all might at other hotels. pillows are so comfortable very good breakfast. Fairly close to great restaurants great shower bathroom is the first thing I check out

Why pay more when this hotel is available. Close to everything, restaurants, the inter-states and other major roads. Close to downtown Asheville, the Asheville Mall and great shopping on Airport Road, all readily accessible.

Best Western location are run separately and not like a chain hotel. We have stay at many BW locations and the Asheville Best Western is one of the finest. This location has become one of our main "go to" places to stay while in Asheville. Great accommodations, manger and staff.

Room was great. Very clean and seemed recently renovated. Was in a perfect location just a 5 min drive into downtown and close the hiking. Breakfast was great with more options than any other best western we've stayed at. Overall very impressed and would definitely recommend.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel while we toured the Biltmore. The Biltmore is a very short distance from this hotel. The hotel send us a reminder a day before we arrived and allowed us a speedy check-in. We were very pleased with the staff which went above and beyond normal hotels to insure our stay was awesome. The room was clean, the breakfast was exactly what we needed to start our day.

My husband and I spent 3 nights here while we hiked the area and toured the Biltmore. It had a great location and our room was super clean and even had a nice view of surrounding mts. The hot breakfast was delicious . The front desk staff was very helpful in helping me use the gift cards I had earned in one of the Best Western Fall promotions. Would recommend this hotel!

The inn is set up like the Best Westerns I remember from my childhood--nice rooms in what we used to call "motor courts" (rooms that you can drive up to as opposed to those in enclosed hallways). It may be one of the older inns, but it is well maintained and doesn't have an appearance in any part of the property as being "old and needing update." The lobby is attractive, with a generously sized breakfast room. We were pleased with the selection of breakfast foods. I was especially hungry at breakfast time, so I was glad that they had some adult (unsweetened) cereal, delicious egg omelets, a variety of fruits, fresh coffee, and milk. Thank you for thinking of various types of diets, including those of us on a sugar-free diet. Believe it or not, there are hotels which serve only sugar-sweetened foods that those of us on a sugar restricted diet can't eat. The room was spacious, with the toilet room and shower separate from the sink, which we always like. We were able to get the TV channels that we like, and the Internet was fast enough to suit us. There is an outdoor pool, which is used seasonally. We noticed a lot of dogs at the inn, so if you have a dog, this is a good place for you. We had a room on the second floor, and this is what we prefer, but if you have a handicap, you might want to ask specifically for a first-floor room. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

My review of our hotel room: A coffee maker with no pot. A fridge that is not cold. So we cannot keep water, soda, juice, etc cold in the room. We asked them to remedy three times each. You have to remember to tell them each morning to make up the room. Otherwise we come back to full trash cans and wet towels. So we had to go the the check building to get coffee, clean towels and TP. We have to do that at home. Might as well stay home. Even when we asked for the room to be made up, it was not. Per Best Western's own sign on the desk, anything below a perfect 10 is zero in their book. So I give them a ZERO!

This was a nice place. The room was clean and it is a pretty quiet location. The rooms are in relatively good shape. When I was there they were painting the outside so they are making improvements. The location was a little bit off a pain as far as getting in and out, but there was a target and Walmart near by so it was still conveniently located.

Recently remodeled and very clean. Good value for the rate. Good location. Dog friendly with area for dogs outside. Close to downtown and the Biltmore. Front desk staff were helpful and breakfast was A+

We enjoyed our stay at this motel. It is located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown, Plus much more. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast offered a variety of items and a nice span of time it was available. Plenty of parking.

The staff was courteous and professional. Unfortunately, the room was very musty smelling. The cost of $293.92 for a one night stay (Labor Day weekend) was very high. We requested a 1st floor room at check-in due to a medical issue. We were not accommodated.

Our week long stay was very nice. The hotel room had an issue with the door lock which we reported to the friendly front desk attendant and it was taken care of promptly and we received a compensation for the inconvenience. Love the location of this hotel as it is very easy access to downtown Asheville and also close to Black Mountain, as well as many local restaurants.

I visited Asheville with my family and stayed at this hotel. Staff was friendly, check in and check out were efficient, the rooms were clean and comfortable, there was no noise, and the continental breakfast (even though COVID modified) was great to have available. The location was perfect for access to downtown, the Biltmore, and local hiking trails. Lots of good food within 5-10 minutes of driving too. The Glo hotel next door allows use of their gym since this property doesn't have a fitness center. Great value for the cost, I would stay here again.

We have stayed here 3 times in 2020-21 and it does the job fine. Staff of nice and they did better with Covid era breakfast than most. Location is good as was the price of the room. Everything seemed sanitary. The room itself is kind of small and a bit dated and dreary though - hard to give more than 3 stars based on the quality of the accommodations. We would stay again though if we needed a room in the area, just keep your expectations reasonable for a budget room.

We stayed at the Asheville best western on tunnel rd for 3 nights. It was abs awesome stay. The only issue we had on the first night was a minor toilet issue that was fixed very quickly. Staff was pleasant and kind.

The air conditioner was very loud and the air was blowing directly on the head of the bed. It would better if the air could be deflected. There was mold on the bottom of the wall in the bathroom. I was told the hotel was sold out so I couldn't change rooms. I won't stay there again. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

Breakfast area clean and fully stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The pool was clean and well maintained. They have area for your pet's necessities. Would definitely stay again. I highly recommend.

I stayed at the Best Western because I had to go to the VA. The staff at the motel was very nice. Everything was good except the carpet in the room needed a good cleaning. My wifes and my feet were black from the carpet. There was also a roach in the room. Other than that the stay was alright.

The Tunnel Road location of this Best Western is perfect for us when we visit our son in Asheville. The property is very well maintained, and the staff is very attentive. We have never had a problem of any kind there. The breakfast buffet was good, though a bit more limited because of COVID. There is always coffee, tea, or hot chocolate available no matter the time, and there is a good high capacity washer and dryer on the premises (the front desk has plenty of quarters when you need them). The beds are comfortable, the rooms clean, and the shower works well. Couldn't ask for more from a hotel.

I stayed for two nights with friends on a motorcycle trip. This property is very nice! The grounds are spotless, the rooms are very nice and the Pool fantastic. All the staff was courteous and helpful. There is an onsite laundry which was nice. This location is a short hop into town. We Ubered for $12. You won't be disappointed if you chose this property

I was afraid it would be loud in the back parking lot, but it was quiet and i was able to sleep. The bedding was soft & comfy ;) I usually clean the room surfaces & bathroom before setteling with desinfecting wipes. Usually the wipes come out very dirty at some hotels I've stayed in but this one was so clean I uas VERY impressed. Not a speck of gunk or dust was on the wipes! Kudos to the cleaning crew! This will be my rest stop next time.

Booked online via Booking.com. upon checking in found that there was additional charges that were not disclosed at booking for pets. Asked to speak with manager and was told there was not one on duty (about 430pm). Really? Didn't end up staying there.

The rooms were clean and I loved that they had hard floors; easy to clean if you made a mess and no wondering about weird stains. We stayed with a baby and a toddler and they were able to provide a portable crib/pack-n-play when our baby sleep arrangements failed. Breakfast "to go" was just enough variety to keep us fed without too much monotony for 4 days. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only odd things were because of COVID, but there's nothing they could have done about that. Towels/trash were placed outside rooms for collection and emptying and new towels were requested at the front desk. One day we didn't have towels picked up because they were short-staffed, but with COVID, everyone is. We were pleased at how smooth our trip/stay went.

We have stayed at this Best Western numerous times over the past 10 years because 1) It's right around the corner from my daughter's house in Asheville, and 2) They are Pet Friendly and we take our dog with us everywhere. We always call the hotel directly to make the reservation as we have a particular building we like to stay at. When we arrive, they treat us like relatives (the kind you want to have at your house!) and once checked in, if we need anything (my wife drinks a lot of coffee so we always need extra packets) they take care of it immediaitely. I've never had an issue with anything their, but more importantly, the staff is always friendly and ready to help.

Arrived at 2:45 PM after driving 3.5 hours, check in was listed as 3PM, boy (Gavin) at front desk said he had no rooms ready & hoped to have some ready 3:15-3:30 earliest. I said OK then I guess I'll go downtown. He never offered to hold my luggage or apologized for the delay. He didnt know which highway/road I should take to get to downtown but pointed in the general direction. We came back and checked in at 5:30. He gave us 2 keys and guess what? We got to the room 3 buildings over to discover the keys didn't work. We went back to desk for new keys. Once in room we discovered toilet clogged. We called front desk and they eventually sent the boy Gavin to our room with plugger & handed it to us? I wasn't happy about that so he said maintenance leaves at 5. We had to unclog the toilet ourselves so we could use it! When I expressed our disappointment & bad experience he said he would Leave notes on our reservation. Oh & the manager had gone home also! Hope nothing happens tonight! Room Seems OK & looks clean but we'll see. Not off to good start!

We've stayed here before because we love that they offer a jetted tub in some of the king size bed rooms and the fact that it's conveniently located to restaurants and downtown! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and check in/out was fast. And even though we had trouble with our TV working at first, an employee came right over to help us and exceeded our expectations by fixing the issue within about 10 minutes. We had a great stay and will be back!

We were just passing through Asheville for 1 night. The Best Western Tunnel Road was nice. It was very clean. We could tell they had cleaned with disinfectant which was good. Our beds were comfortable & we had a corner room that was quite. We are traveling with our dog and they are dog friendly with a small fee. The floors were clean! They have a grassy area for dogs to use. We would stay there again if in the area.

We stayed at this property on the way from North Carolina to Washington DC. Ashville is a great town to visit and has great food. The property is an older one, but clean. It has all the covid precautions in place. I would stay here again if we are in the area again.

We booked and paid for 2 nights. After the first night, they packed up our things in a garbage bag and put our things in the office. We complained and they threatened to call the cops. They had over booked and kicked us out of our room. I would never stay here again.

The rooms were musty. The breakfast was a take-out bag of choice of: granola bar, apple, orange, yogurt, instant grits. It would not qualify as breakfast to me. We were staying for three days and we had to go to the front desk each day for shampoo and conditioner. The ice machine in our building did not work so we had to go Tom the main building for that as well. All in all I will never stay at a Best Western again.

Spent several days at this location. Very nice and what I have come to expect from Best Western. Clean room and free breakfast. I honestly can't comment on the amenities offered as I only utilized the room and breakfast. Room was nice, lots of TV channels, appeared clean. Breakfast had several options like a breakfast burrito (needs microwaving), yogurt, instant oatmeal, juice and coffee. Not the most filling of meals, but not bad for free, especially in covid world. Arriving at the hotel, it feels like it's out of the way from the town, but is really only a 5 minute drive from downtown Asheville (or $10 Uber). Very close to the mall. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and updated. This hotel is located in the middle of everything Asheville has to offer and with it being a pet friendly hotel it is the perfect option for a family vacation.

This property is about 1 mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway and very convenient for Parkway travelers. There are several restaurants in the area, from fast food to chains to local eateries. Due to COVID, breakfast was limited to grab-and-go options, which was no problem. Staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed here on my previous trip to the area and would definitely stay here again

First I had reserved a room on the second floor because there wasn't one on the first floor available. I'm handicapped and was worried about going up and down the steps. The front desk clerk looked and found a room on the first floor for us. Bed was very comfortable. The shower had hot water and was relaxing. Only thing wrong was the breakfast bar, because of Covid was just drinks. I wish they had some prepackaged items for people to enjoy without having to go our for breakfast.

The employees here were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were the cleanest I have stayed in. I didn't realize when booking the room that most of the rooms were exterior doors. The road was loud so if you're not used to traffic ask to stay in the back. Other than that which is beyond Best Westerns control I was extremely satisfied and will stay again.

A misleading hotel from previous reviews. If traveling with pets, avoid this place at all costs. We were placed by the utility room. It was extremely difficult to get a good night sleep with the noise level in the parking lot and people coming in and out of the cleaning supply rooms with huge wheel tubs. This went on early morning starting at 5am and throughout the night. We could hear rumblings in the room and the lights were on constantly. The hospitality of the front desk staff is unfriendly and not helpful. The essentials are provided; however, the beds are sagging and uncomfortable. We had a 3000 mile trip and stayed in 6 hotels throughout 12 days. This was our only negative experience with accommodations. This is one place to avoid. In addition, you might see homeless people around. The area seems unsafe. My suggestion is to avoid this place if traveling with a family, pets, or by yourself. Luckily, we were able to find another pet friendly place for the rest of our stay in Asheville that did not have an extra charge for pets. Be aware you will be charged excessively for your pets. In our case 100.00 charge for two pets for two nights.

We apologize for any noise that caused you difficulty getting a good nights sleep, however our housekeeping staff do not start until 9 AM and the supply closet would be empty up until that point. Please do not hesitate to contact the front desk regarding noise complaints in the future as we will do our very best to locate the issue and solve it as soon as possible. The hotel seems to be renovated from the time it was built, probably 40 or 50 years ago. Fresh paint, new carpet, updated furniture and bathrooms make this a nice Best Western like I have come to appreciate. The rooms are clean and comfortable! Mostly quiet rooms, even between each other which is rare with new builds. Room has microwave and fridge. 2nd floor does not have an elevator. Very convenient to get to down town and other restaurants, but you have to turn left out of the motel parking lot, stay on Tunnel Road and go thru the Tunnel (Be sure to toot the car horn in the tunnel for fun!)

Information as to breakfast hours and availability not given. Room ready when requested. A few hall door slams during the night, my wife heard the slams, I didn't. Surprised that breakfast area was closed before checkout. There was one spot by the Jacuzzi where the carpet nails were protruding. Needs repair.

10/10 experience everything was so fast from the check in to the wifi , employees were insanely helpful and nice , transferred hotels mid trip and would never go anywhere else but to this best western after my experience at my old hotel

Centrally located on the outskirts of Asheville proper. Hwy 240 gets you anywhere easily in Asheville within minutes of your destination there. Accessible and convenient. Rooms are kept clean. Quiet location, even though its on a main road. Friendly and helpful staff.

I have been going back and forth to Asheville for over a year now for business and I always stay at this hotel. It is always clean the rooms are wonderful the staff is excellent anything you need there willing to help you with. We tried staying at the glow next door which is also a Best Western but it is no comparison to this one if you're going to stay stay at the original.

I've stayed here a few times. It's a great little place on Tunnel Road close to everything. You Many can not geat the value. Rooms are clean and staff friendly and knowledgeable. Many restaurants near by and a short Uber ride to downtown.

Very nice and beautiful clean and you can smell the cleaning when you walk in the doors rooms are very large and the jacuzzi room is beautiful we enjoyed our room only issues was the front desk person that checked us in was very unpleasant but other than that it was a very nice snowy stay

The staff was friendly, pre-check-in was easy! The hotel is located to shopping plazas. You can hear through the walls, so if you are a light sleeper it may be a rough night! The room was clean, but the tub had someone else's hair on the walls. Best hotel for the money you pay! I would stay again at this hotel.

Very good hotel; good location, Clean room and Very nice staffs. We liked the way they ensured masking and social distancing was practiced by Only people. Only disappointment with breakfast..could have been little better.

Everyone at the front desk were very nice. The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because of housekeeping, they knocked on our door 3 times even with the do not disturb sign up. They were not friendly during our entire stay.

My wife and I liked this motel very much. The beds were comfortable. The room temperature was nice when we arrived, not freezing cold like one of the Best Westerns I stay at. They had a nice breakfast (not hot due to Covid) with a good selection.

The experience at this BW was great. The cost, cleanliness, location and being able to have our yorkie with us for the first time was extremely great. The lobby was clean and the staff was friendly and easy to talk to. The location is so close to many restaurants and shopping. Minutes to the Biltmore.. Overall experience was awesome and would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I checked in on Thursday, October 22. We checked in around 4:00 PM dropped our luggage and went to dinner. When we arrived back into our hotel, I hadn't noticed that there were hundreds of ants on our floor. I went to the front desk to asked to move to a different room and there were no rooms available. Instead, I was handed a can of raid and was told to go spray the ants myself. It was absolutely disgusting. There was never an offer to have housekeeping to come and vacuum the floor or anything to make our accommodations that night even somewhat restful. My husband and I were both awake all night feeling as if ants were in our bed. The next morning after they were checkouts we were able to move ourselves into another room. I emailed customer service with no response back. Absolute terrible stay! Stay away from this place! My husband and I paid over $1000 for our weekend getaway at this place!

We are very sorry that your first night with us was so disappointing. We understand that you were not satisfied with the initial response to the presence of ants in your room. Unfortunately, we do not have housekeeping or maintenance staff on site after 4pm and the front desk staff is unable to leave the lobby for extended periods of time. We were unable to offer an immediate room move because the room type you booked was sold out for the first night of your stay. It is very unfortunate that these circumstances led to you having to deal with the issue on your own and we completely understand that you found it disturbing. The front desk agent that arranged for you to move rooms the next morning did apply a discount to your stay as an apology for the inconvenience and it appeared that you were satisfied with the last few nights as there were no further reports from you to our staff. I only had one night stay there. It was exceptional! The hotel looks really nice. Room was very clean! Staff friendly. I enjoyed my short stay over there. Even though the virus situation makes everything a bit more complicated they handle it very well.

Rooms were ok, we were able to park the bikes. Bag breakfast was at least offered to take to your room. Staff overly friendly, but we stayed at GLO NEXT DOOR, and same issue staff not customer service driven.

Enjoyed our stay - the rooms (we had 2) was clean and the staff was very nice, helpful and courteous. Great location. Easy access to the freeways The hotel is close to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate.

If you are looking for a place with a good free breakfast, don't stay here! Even though they claim the have a free breakfast buffet, what they are doing during COVID is nothing less than a joke. All you get is a tiny cup of coffee and a brown paper bag with an apple or an orange, one prepackaged muffin and a small bottle of water. You can't even sit in the breakfast area, have to take it all back to the room. Terrible!!

We are sorry to learn that your were disappointed by the lack of a breakfast buffet. We are required by local Buncombe County COVID-19 restrictions to prohibit seating in our breakfast area and to restrict our food options to individually wrapped items. In an effort to provide more choices to our guests, we have added a hot water station where one can prepare a bowl of oatmeal or grits and we also offer a selection of granola bars and yogurts. We have opened up our juice machine and have coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available during our breakfast hours. We do not restrict servings to a set number per guest. We hope that you were otherwise satisfied with your room and the service. Thank you for choosing Best Western.

What a rip-off. I got a good deal on the room through a 3rd party but with two dogs that adds 40 bucks a night so in the end it was over 100. My dogs are two 14-year-olds who just sleep all the time. And during COVID there was NO room cleaning for "stayovers." That meant I was paying an extra 40 a night...for what, exactly? I had to chase down housekeeping so I could replenish my own toilet paper & trash bags. My squeaky-clean dogs slept on their own beds & sheets (which I brought) & ate out of their own bowls on their own towels (which I brought), & entered by stepping onto a small mat (which I brought), for which service I paid THEM 40 bucks a night. Breakfast was a joke. A small bottle of water (who drinks water for breakfast??? At a hundred bucks a night you'd think they could spring for some orange juice at least), a small piece of fruit, & a tiny muffin in a lunch bag. Ridiculous. They had a laundry facility, which was nice, but $3.50 for a normal-sized load, and 2 bucks for a small candy bar are just flat-out gouging. But here's the worst part: I wrote all this up & sent it to BW when they sent me a follow-up email asking "how was your stay?" Well I can tell you that they don't really want to know. I got an email back from the "general manager" that was basically the exact same form letter you read on every review site: "Sorry we did not exceed your expectations...hope you have a better experience next time...yadda yadda." NEXT TIME??? Boy, that's presumptious. I wrote back telling him how disgraceful it was not to address my actual complaint, & the form-letter response was so pathetic & obvious. The *real* response was "We don't really care what you thought of our place & have no intention of improving it, but this is a chance for you to get it off your chest even though nothing at all will come of it." In other words, f--- u. During non-COVID, if they do clean rooms & provide breakfast, I'd add one bone because the room was large & didn't have carpet. There was a grassy area behind the buildings that was kind of enclosed & nice for the dogs, but the doggie bag dispenser was empty every day we were there. I bring my own but lots of people don't, so there was dogdudu everywhere. Also there was something strange with the ventilation or something. In the morning the condensation on the insides of the windows was so heavy I'd wipe it down with a large bath towel & the towel would be sopping wet. So in the end a $40-a-night pet fee is just a way to keep dogs out of the motel while trying to get dog owners' money. It's not "dog-friendly," and dogs aren't "welcome" -- you & your dog are tolerated at best. I'd bet a paycheck

I'm a full-time traveler, and stayed here for a week along w/ some other hotels in the area. This is my favorite moderately priced hotel in Asheville. Staff was friendly, rooms clean, and the pool is excellent. Location is great, just a quick hop to downtown. Nothing negative to point out.

I love the location and the price of staying at this Best Western. Parking lot is a little cramped, but not much to complain about. Easy access to downtown and not far at all from Biltmore. Perfect location. The staff was quick and friendly.

Upon arrival the front desk staff was pretty rude when I questioned the pet fee because I booked through hotels.com and there was no mention of it. Then because I have a dog they stuck me on the back of the building to the far right among where all the construction workers were staying. I wouldn't have minded it if I wasn't being cat called and harassed every time I walked out my door. My dog was so anxious the whole tome he wouldn't use the bathroom. It was not an enjoyable stay to say the least!

There was absolutely NOTHING bad about this hotel!!!! I've stayed in some shady hotels, this one was excellent. In fact, I will be looking to stay in a Best Western when I go anywhere. I didn't take any photos because there was nothing bad to take a picture of. The staff was friendly as well.

The motel was old. There is a new Glo next door. The toilet didn't work well. The tv remote didn't work even after they changed the batteries. The room smelled stale. The hair dryer started smoking. They did give me a new one.

My girlfriend and I stayed here again, with our new puppy. The staff was extremely helpful again, and even allowed us to check in early after a long road trip. The room was clean, the pool was clean and not crowded, and the be was one of the most comfortable I've slept in ever at a Best Western. MUCH cheaper to stay here than downtown so I'll definitely be back here again.

Everyone at Best Western made us feel very comfortable about traveling and spending the night. We had questions about their new approach to guests and cleaning. All were answered confidently and we could see evidence in our room. Rooms have been newly painted and appointed and right now the rooms are vacant for at least one night in between guests. A bag breakfast with water, fruit and muffin was provided. We are looking forward to staying there again when we can enjoy Asheville more fully.

Traveling during a tough time - COVID-19 spread. Very concerned about cleanliness. We were very comfortable here. It was obvious the hotel staff went to great lengths to ensure its cleanliness. Pretty much just a basic room at a good price. Only downside, they were no longer offering a breakfast, which we understood when told that at the reception desk. I would have expected them to discount the room because of that. They didn't.

convient to all we wanted to do, restaurants, shopping, and the biltmore estate! Awesome staff, friendly and always ready with an answer to our questions. the breakfast was fresh, hot and plentiful choices whether you wanted eggs and sausage to just a bagel and cream cheese coffee always hot and eggs fresh made, THE rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, even though it was what appeared to be a full house there was no noise! perfect for getting a good night sleep. highly recommend staying here!

It was a beautiful place. The rooms was clean and beautiful. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was great. The landscape was well maintained. The door locks was with a key card but instead of insert it you taped it. I highly recommend this place.

Such a great staff, amazing breakfast and fantastic location! While all of the hotels in Asheville appear pricey, Best Western gives you so much more than others for the stay. Staff is outstanding and will go out of their way to help. I loved how there were so many options at breakfast and items like fruit, oatmeal, and drinks were available to guests for snacking later in the day. What a thoughtful touch!! The room was spotless, great heating-AC system and best of all cozy comfy beds. I was hesitant on booking a room due to the hotel being pet friendly but rest assured, our room 205 didn't smell like dogs nor did we hear any barking. While we didn't have bad weather, having the buildings not connected could be a slight irritation to the southern ladies who just got their hair done. Lol. So close to downtown and Biltmore it is a must stay. Loved my stay for my 50th birthday in Asheville!

We have stayed at this Best Western every time we are in Asheville. The breakfast is as good as one could want: eggs, sausage, grits, toast, cereal, muffins, waffles, biscuits and gravy. It has been remodeled with nice decor. Rooms are big. It's close to shopping. Staff are helpful, courteous and kind. Prices are reasonable. If you don't stay here you will miss one if the hidden gems in town.

Quick weekend in Asheville. Nice clean room, convenient location to downtown Asheville and interstate. Liked having the fridge in the room especially with all the breweries so close! Took a side trip from here to the Sierra Nevada Brewing COmpany which wa only about 20 minutes away. Fun weekend.

Second time at this hotel. Older hotel but rooms are modern and very well renovated. Breakfast is nice and on par with a Hampton Inn but Best Western is generally half the price. A bargain. Best Western has a great frequent stay program too. Highly recommend joining. .

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I was impressed to see no carpeting in our pet friendly room. Great vinyl plank and tile was a great idea. The beds were comfy and a separate reading chair and desk. We found the room quite comfortable. Those of us with pets were in a separate building away from the main building. Therefore, we had to walk a bit for our breakfast buffet. The buffet was hot and a nice variety. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to find bottled water and chocolate mints in the room. At breakfast there were plenty of choices. Something for everyone. We spent our 19th anniversary here and had a jacuzzi room. I would love to have this room again.

This is a new BW located next to the old one in an adjacent lot. The room are spacious and modern. They have this barn door design that you can slide to close the bathroom. After shower you then slide it back to cover the closet. I find this mildly inconvenient depending on your need. I liked the large work desk and the modern bathroom. Having enough space is not an issue here. Breakfast area is relatively large comparing with most BW I have been before. Breakfast has the usual cold and hot items, but nothing really stands out. This hotel is adjacent to a local hi-way so the room facing the front will likely have more noise issue. My room locates on the side but have no view. The parking lot in the front is not that big, but there is no shortage during my stay.

Convenient to Biltmore, 10-15 minutes. Check in and check out were smooth. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Cleaning/maintenance staff was excellent and professional. We always look for Best Western because they have a good reputation, are reasonably priced, for the convenience and savings of their hot and cold breakfast, and have rooms with 2 queen beds. There are 3 of us. Many hotels have only 2 double beds or a king with a roll away which is crowded or not as comfortable.

We arrived on NYE at check-in time, anxious it might be chaotic. It was quiet and the front desk staff was very pleasant and efficient. Our room was clean and all amenities worked. We celebrated NYE in Asheville and arrived back at the hotel around 2 AM. We were pleased that there were not a lot of huge parties or a lot of noise and we were able to go to sleep easily. The continental breakfast was delicious, much needed and fully stocked. We requested a last-minute late check out and were quickly and kindly accomodated. I also liked the eco-friednly housekeeping signs in our room for towels, to reduce unncessary washing of unused towels. We will be back when we visit Asheville, such a quick Lyft into town!

First stop on the way to the Georgia coast. Reserved a queen room. Beds were super comfy!! Breakfast was good, biscuits and gravy, eggs and a variety of breads and pastries. The only downfall was the lack of handicapped ramps to enter the motel style building.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Best Western Tunnel Road in Asheville, NC. It was a great jumping off point to our adventures at The Biltmore and then to just past Cherokee, NC where we saw a herd of elk. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The main building was clean and nicely decorated. The Continental Breakfast had a nice selection with both hot food and cereal. The food tasted good as well. It was a great experience!

The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was good, very filling. The only thing that should be noted is that the sound of traffic was quite loud. We did have room 100 which was the closest room to the road but many of the other rooms would have heard.

I have used this Best Western a number of times road-tripping between Cincinnati, OH and Charleston, SC, most recently on December 22, 2019. The rooms are all recently upgraded to the current BW standard with refrigerator and small freezer, microwave, coffeemaker, and large flatscreen TV. I did not use it, but there is free WiFi as well. The front desk service was excellent, as was the quality of the breakfast items offered. I would highly recommend this great value property for those traveling to or through the Asheville, NC area.

While this is an older building, it's been very nicely renovated. Once inside the room, the age doesn't show. The complimentary bottled water in the room was a great perk. There was no fitness center on-site; however, the desk called the neighboring (adjoining parking lot) BW property so we could walk over to use their center. (They were very nice, too.) I would stay here again.

Absolutely amazing and well kept facility. If it weren't for the outside rooms, I would've bet money it was a brand new hotel just pulling into the parking lot. This hotel was within easy driving distance of the Biltmore Estate. It was a great value and the room was updated and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate and the entire property was clean and well run.

Wanting to be close to downtown Asheville, we decided to stay at the Best Western in Tunnel Road located off of 70. It's a quick exit off the 70 coming from the Asheville mall. As it's off the highway, you will hear occasional loud traffic or emergency vehicles. This is definitely a motel, as all rooms are accessed from outside. There are two floors and no elevators. There are dog friendly rooms with a walking area too. Our check-in was quick, easy and the employee was friendly. When we got into our room the heat was already on so it was perfect from the moment we arrived. The room was clean and roomy. The bathroom door opens out, so it's a bit awkward when someone is in the shower/toilet area and the sink. There's a free breakfast buffet every morning consisting of eggs, waffles, dry cereal, hot oatmeal, yogurt, sausages, bacon, hot tea, hot coffee and got chocolate. The only issue we had was on our second day as our tip was taken, garbage was changed but no other cleaning/straightening was done by the house person who “serviced” our room. There is a request form in the room and I left a note to, but none of the requests were completed. I spoke to the front desk and they have gave us a bit of a discount and apologized. She also gave us the box of tissues and coffee we requested. The next morning I spoke with a manager and he said he didn't know what happened and would look into it. We chalked this up to an unusual incident as every other day of our stay was good.

super clean, very comfy beds, updated. staff was nice, Viviana checked us in, provided local places to eat. This was just down from nice mall with a fabulous Barnes and Noble and the Whole Food across from there. There was also a Peloton in the fitness center. Breakfast was very good, clean area and the lady managing it was doing a great job keeping well stocked and clean.

Later arrival and they were ready for us. Immediately directed us to our ground floor room. Parking right outside the room was available. Room was very nice, temperature was already set up on a cool evening ( this was a nice touch ). Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast in the morning far exceeded my expectations, wide variety to choose from and plenty of seating. It was easy getting in and out of the property and in close proximity to all the area offers.

I have been a guest at this Best Western over the last 4 1/2 years. As a parent of a student at UNC Asheville, I find this hotel convenient to the school and all attractions. It is clean and the staff is consistently friendly. Breakfast is worth partaking in and the pool (during the summer) is big enough for doing laps and overall enjoyment.

The rate was very reasonable especially since it included a full as much as you want breakfast with a big selection. Rooms were large, newly remodeled, with access to complimentary items you may have forgotten. The front desk staff was exceptionally accommodating.

Very clean and nice room. A few things were minor annoyances, but I did not alert staff cause it was minor. Headboard clacked against the wall, vanity light flickered instead of shut down. Outside of those two things, I really enjoyed my quick stay at a far more reasonable price than other hotels in the area.

Pleasantly surprised. Older hotel that is newly remodeled with new carpet,furniture, linens etc.. Very good location if you are visiting Biltmore or the Art District...Only a 5-10 minute drive. Five minute drive to restaurants. Staff were helpful and both check-in and out were easy. Rooms were clean and good value for the price.

I was told by a friend that this was probably the best deal in Asheville, NC , and I agree. It was a clean and well maintained as any I have stayed in while traveling. Yes, the Biltmore area has many 5 star hotels, and lesser ranked at near-5 star prices, but this place was great, and the price made it better.

I stayed here for a mother/daughter trip in November. I only booked a week ahead so was worried that the better hotels were taken. I was VERY happy with everything. They gave us a first floor pet friendly room as requested. The room was clean, updated, everything worked fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a typical continental with a decent variety of hot and cold foods. Will definitely choose again. The beds were good, location close to everything, plenty of parking. I can't say anything negative about this stay

Very friendly, accommodating staff. We were offered early check in upon arriving earlier than expected. Staff shared directions for our visit destinations. Location was convenient to many tourist attractions. Being off of a busy road, it was quiet when sleeping. James and Helen who work at the front desk went out of their way to make this a perfect vacation for my husband and me. I had made a mistake with the original reservation. These two co workers made it possible for us to see the sites we came to see. Had they not worked as hard as they did and not communicated as well as they did, I would have had a huge disappointment. In this day and age of mediocrity being acceptable, these two are a real treasure.

Old motel refurbished. Did a good job revamping the site. Rooms are outside rooms, so if it is raining you will get wet. Most reasonably priced with a good rating for the area. About 15 minutes from Biltmore. Refrigerator and microwave in rooms. Housekeeping excellent.

We ha had to adjust our stay--twice. Hazel was most accommodating on the phone, and we ended up staying 3 nights instead of 2. Very handy location, close to the highway and Blue Ridge Parkway, too. Easy to get just about everywhere. Breakfast was fine, room was comfortable and clean. We were right by the pool (and office). Only noise we heard was a grumpy kid who didn't want to go to bed. No problems of any kind. I'd definately stay here again.

Check in was fast and easy. Room was very clean. The area for dogs was great and they even provided poop bags! Breakfast was just okay but I didn't expect much for free. Although location was on a rather busy street, it was pretty centrally located for our adventures.

My sister and I stayed here for one night. We shared a room with two double beds. The room and bathroom were clean. The only thing we did not like was the sink area was separate from the bathroom so no privacy at all. We requested a different room but was told that all the rooms were like that as it is an older motel. The safe in our room did not work when we got there but the young man came and put a new battery in it right away. There were USB outlets by the beds for our iPhones which was great. The pool area was small but clean and they provided towels. The breakfast was great. Both hot and cold items and lots of it.

Had problems at check in.Both Christine Osborne and Loretta Davis were very rude and argumentative. Asked to speak to a manager and was told there was none on duty. Asked for the 1-800 number to call for a complaint and Christine threw a business card and said "have at it".Loretta then said""we was gonna try to help yall but now we arent and we will make sure you dont get a refund". Filed a complaint with their corporate office and did receive a return call and an apology. There was mold in the bathroom all around the tub but after our front desk experience we did not address the issue.

Booked 4 nights, left room at noon, arrived back from a wonderful day at the Biltmore Estaste, only to find my room not touched. Ruined our day. No towels, no bed made, no wastebaskets emptied. Desk said sorry. Passes me towels and says no one to help and no managers to speak with tonight. Don't stay here! AND, when checking in they put me next to a howling dog! Had them change my room at check in. This hotel is out of control.

Good position for seeing the local area but not for getting into off the road you need to be quick. Rooms good and breakfast was lovely as it is included in the cost. The rooms facing the road can be noisy due to many sirens.

They couldn't even find their hotel on the only map they offered! Staff should be better trained to help guests from out of town.

Very convenient location for Biltmore House and downtown Asheville. The hotel is pet friendly and has a park behind the hotel to walk the dogs. Room was clean with all the amenities we needed. The staff was extremely friendly from setting up our reservation, purchasing Biltmore tickets through the checkout process. We will definitely stay there on our next visit.

A lady walks in off the street and books a room, then another couple checks in and get a room on the lower level. Worst experience of any hotel's ever. Very noisy, and WiFi only gets 2bars right by the office. It's a pig wearing lipstick hotel. Good luck!

I'm afraid if you booked a room on the second floor through a third party there isn't much we can do here at the property. You do get the the room that you book -- unfortunately you had booked a second floor room. I highly recommend calling hotel properties directly as that should remedy this issue in the future.

We traveled to Asheville because it was listed as a dog friendly place. The hotel was clean, nicely decorated. The breakfast had a lot of options. It was quiet at night, even though it was full overnight. The area to walk the dog was well lit and clean.

Hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean and updated. The only issue was that the bed was a bit hard for our liking. The breakfast was good with both Hot and Cold items. Overall a very nice and clean place to stay in Ashville.

They just didn't go the extra mile to make you comfortable. The room was old and painted over and puttied. The bathroom door stuck if you closed it and it took strength to open it and it was pulling the door apart at the bottom. The stay wasn't bad but it wasn't good. Maybe it was the unfriendly atmosphere that set it off. It was worth the 100.00 we paid but got extremely better service and cleanliness at a sleep in. I think I have compared everything to them. Their base boards were clean.

I booked a room here for 2 nights with 2 queen beds. The parking lot seems a bit cramped and the walkway between the sidewalk and the parking area runs right into one of the parking spaces where a car can park. I did not park there because I would be concerned someone would come down that walkway and let their luggage run right into my car. The room was comfortable and everything functioned well. The breakfast area was very busy and seating was full most of the time. Had to wait a minute or two for someone to leave before I could get a seat. The food was fresh and tasted good. The staff were friendly and professional.

Was upgraded to King suite first floor because they had booked all first floor rooms were booked. I had requested first floor due to medical restrictions on lifting. Room was larger than friends king room next door at a higher price.

It's just outside of downtown. Rooms were very clean , beds super comfortable and lots of pillows. The staff was very informative on local attractions and directions. Also able purchase tickets for local venues like Biltmore Estate. At front counter. The breakfast was Amazing, large selections of beverages and food to choose from. I definitely stay here when I come back in fall.

We stay at this Best Western in Asheville due to location and cost. It is near downtown, Biltmore and many other activities. Breakfast is always good. If we have a problem it is immediately addressed. Would recommend!

BW on Tunnel Rd in Asheville NC is very clean. The rooms are all updated and nice. They have a free breakfast that has lots to choose from. Everyone we came in contact with was very nice. It was close to the Biltmore House where were going. We were very satisfied.

Spent the night at the hotel as part of a multi-day travel to another destination. Got a good nights sleep and hardy breakfast the next morning. The location was easy to access and convenient to interstate yet away from more congested areas of the city. Clean and comfortable room. Price was reasonable compared to similar hotels in the area. Parking area felt tight but manageable.

We were in Asheville for two nights and stayed here. The price per night was extremely competitive at this Best Western. Our room was sportless, and the staff at the desk and the housekeepers were helpful and friendly. We found we were minutes away from the downtown and only a few minutes more away from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. The compllimentary breakfast was typical of most hotels, nothing out of the ordinary, but fresh and well-supplied. The breakfast area was clean. We would recommend the Tunnel Road Best Western in Asheville highly.

Unfortunately, the Glo Best Western was fully booked so we decided to stay at the Best Western instead, the hotel staff was very courteous, the room was recently renovated and very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. The location is great, close to the Biltmore and downtown.

We stayed 3 nights. The room was attractive and always clean. Everything worked, although the a/c was loud. The sink/mirror area is separate from the toilet/shower room, which I find very helpful. The lighting was great for doing make-up. The hotel was conveniently located. Breakfast was available for 4 hours. Check-in was fast and efficient. The price was very reasonable.

The hotel is in great condition and all areas were very clean. It is located right off the highway so there is simple on/off access. We stayed here because it was the least expensive, nicer hotel which was pet friendly. The breakfast was way above average and everything was fresh both mornings we ate there. There are three or four buildings which comprises the hotel. We had a first floor room in the back building which was perfect for us, as we easily got in and out of room and into our car in no time. I would definitely stay here again due to the cleanliness and the great breakfast. The one issue I did have was at check-in which was no fault of mine nor the hotel's but rather due to an error by Hotels.com. Evidently, Hotels.com did not provide the hotel with enough money on my virtual credit card, whatever that means. 30 minutes and 4 phone calls later the issue was resolved and I was able to check in. Sadly this was between 10:30-11 pm. I was so tired from driving 13 hours and didn't have it in me to argue with the clerk, Rowan, to just check me in and deal with Hotels.com on her own time once I am tucked into bed. Instead, both she and I called Hotels to rectify the problem. I appreciate her doing her job, as many workers these day don't, but my reservation was paid in full so any discrepancies or shortages on her end should have had nothing to do with me. Everything was settled, but in hindsight, the hotel should have offered me something for the inconvenience.

This is a great motel. Older motel but it has been remodeled. The beds are wonderful. Rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is good for what it is. Good location I definitely recommend if you don't mind staying in a motel with no interior corridor or elevator

Wife and I was in Asheville to attend a concert, and chose Best Western Tunnel Road based on reviews on Trip Advisor. The checkin was very quick and efficent, room was clean and bed was very comtforbal. My only complaint was the ac was very loud.

Everything worked, everything I wanted was already there, the shower was excellent. The staff were excellent in every interaction. I usually stay at more spartan places, but if this is normal at a Best Western then I am a convert.

This was our first trip to the Blue ridge mountains and enjoyed staying here. The pool was great for our kids and the rooms were nice. The front desk was very accommodating and took great care of us. We will be back again in the fall to check out the foliage!

I make several trips to Asheville, NC every year. My first stay here and it was awesome on every level. Beautiful renovation of a older property, great customer service, great breakfast, great maintenance (fixed the safe in my room promptly), great housekeeping and groundskeeping. One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. The employees here just work every day, all day with a smile, yet not intrusive. The only complaint I have is I would like to see Splenda in the breakfast area; I know silly right? I am also trying to get my last night credited to my BW account; first 2 nights I booked through another outlet on the internet. I believe if the price is right at the time of my future vists to Asheville, this will be my go to place. Also for animal lovers this is a pet friendly place. The pool area was clean as well.

Nice and clean room. Very noisy AC and refridgerator that keept us awake during the night. Great location for travelling around in the area and not that far to downtown Asheville. Not the best layout in the breakfast area and also a smaller area.

My wife and I stayed here for a night before a multi-day stay in a vacation rental cabin. I must say management has done a bang-up on renovating this property, which was a mid-century motor lodge type of motel. Our room is large with two very comfortable queen beds (love the Euro-style duvet without top sheet), nice modernized bathroom, and large screen TV. The grounds are also nice, especially the dog exercise area and pool. I'm having a better-than-average breakfast right now in a clean, comfortable, and spacious area. All in all, we don't always get great choices in hotels when traveling with our large dog, but especially considering the room rate we paid, we could not have done better, and we will return.

I've long found Best Western to give the best "bang for the buck" among similar motels. For a popular tourist area like Asheville, we were delighted to find such an affordable rate. The room was clean, modern, well appointed, and handsomely decorated ... everything we needed and wanted! We stayed five nights while attending Swannanoa Gathering at Warren Wilson College. Just a hop-skip-and-a-jump from WWC. Satisfying breakfasts to launch us (our campus meal plan included breakfast, but we didn't have to walk nearly as far for breakfast at BW as on campus). This isn't one of those high-rise-with-million-dollar-lobby places ... and didn't need to be. Although cars park right outside of the rooms (we were on ground floor), didn't notice any undue noise. First-rate mattress, and who can like a place that doesn't have one? Very pleasant staff, including one fellow who understood craic! Would be glad to stay there again and recommend BW Asheville Tunnel Road to anyone.

I get that it's OK to have several buildings that are separated from the main building. But it felt cramped and noisy with parking slammed up against the sidewalks. Staff at front desk were nice enough but slow as molasses. And they seemed more interested in gloating over "selling" a room to a caller than to taking care of the people in front of them. I must have waited 10-15 minutes to check in and there was only one person ahead of me (and two people working the desk!). Thank goodness it is dog friendly (which is why I stayed here) and there is a decent patch of grass in the back. It's pretty small for the number of dogs who stay here, though. Didn't eat breakfast here. Lobby felt cramped, too. Room was 1970s standard. Adequate, but I won't be back.

Great location near Blue Ridge Parkway and several great restaurants, this hotel was clean and comfortable and offered a large outdoor pool and hot breakfast at an affordable cost. The only negative for me was that I prefer a soft mattress and it was quite firm.

The hotel is right off the Blue Ridge Parkway (a few miles). Access to downtown is very quick and easy. Plenty of restaurants nearby. We are glad we booked our stay there.

This was my second stay at this Best Western in the last few years but over the years their quality, comfort, and care has not changed. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. The breakfast that they serve is amazing, they even had biscuits and country gravy- my favorite! It is conveniently located on Tunnel Road so access and distance to anything in Asheville is perfect. Even though it is located on a busy road, I have never had trouble hearing traffic or other outside noise. The only issue is sometimes pulling out to leave if traffic is heavy, but there is a light close if you need to turn around and feel safer. There is an outside pool that always looks super clean, but I have never personally used it.

Old style drive to your door motel. Several different buildings. They spruced up the room but still just OK. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of options. The downside, it was in the lobby building. Only a few minutes from Biltmore estate. Can be tough to get out onto the road due to traffic speed.

Best Western Asheville Tunnel Road is a great place to stay. We chose it because it is pet friendly and close to Biltmore and some great restaurants. Being able to enter your room from the parking lot is a plus when staying with your pet.

Rooms very clean, staff very helpful, however you need to be aware that there are only stairs to get to the top level, which is an issue especially if you have heavy suitcases. You could hear traffic in the morning.

My experience with this Best Western, was wonderful. The staff that was there that night. Treated me very well. They were professional and punctuate. My room was clean and comfortable. They even had bottled water to quench my thirst in the room. Kudos to this location on Tunnel Road. I will return to stay again!!!

Couldn't have been more pleased! Price was right. Location was convenient to highway and main roads, making getting around Asheville area easy. Room was clean and spacious. Pool area was nice...too bad it was too cool for us to try! Breakfast choices were ample and tasty. Check in and out was easy, staff was kind and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Check in clerk was rude and really had a chip on her shoulder. We had asked for a quiet dog friendly room and she had placed us next t the pool facing the road- when I asked about other options, she became nasty. We also questioned the room rate she gave us (seemed higher than our reservation info which we couldn't access because of cell phone issues) and she became down right caustic. The checkout clerk was lovely. Housekeeping staff were obviously very good- place was spotless inside, but again, dog poop everywhere as it was at every Best Western we stayed at! So guests SHOULD clean up after their dog but if they don't, then a grounds person really should.....We cleaned up one area so our dog had a clean place to go- and picked up each time we went out with him. If we are charged a dog fee - which we were- that should cover having clean grounds, shouldn't it? And since we picked up after others, maybe we should have had the dog fee reduced??? Well, we won't stay here again. It wasn't terible- just VERY expensive for bad service.

We enjoyed this hotel. It was centrally located to a lot of things in Asheville in our opinion. We toured Biltmore, Grove Park Inn and downtown during Christmas. Everything was beautiful. We enjoyed the car museum at Grove Park.

My husband, mother, two small dogs, and I stayed at this hotel over Memorial Day weekend. They staff at the hotel gave us a wonderfully convenient 1st floor room next to a grassy area for our dogs. The room was clean and comfortable enough to fit all of us. The hotel pool looked very clean and refreshing. I wish we would have enjoyed it! The breakfast each morning was fresh, well stocked, and had a great selection of items. It was better than most other hotels I've stayed at! The location is very close to the Biltmore and I-40 and I-240 so getting around was easy. The front desk manager was also very accommodating when we had a family emergency that caused us to need to leave early. Overall, a great experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Asheville area!

We had no complaints about our recent stay! We were just minutes away from downtown Asheville and Biltmore! The room was clean and the hot breakfast in the morning was convenient! Will definitely stay again when back in the area!

Arriving later in the evening and tired from traveling, check in was a breeze and the room was very inviting. This is one of the reasons that I stay at Best Western. You can have a great breakfast while you plan your day and a great place to sleep at night. ALL for a great price!

Poor housekeeping service. Stains on duvet, coffee maker not cleaned and coffee not replaced, hairs that were definitely not ours on the bathroom floor, dusty surfaces. (And we'd left a tip for the maid!) Pool had no towels provided, and hotel staff allowed a large group to play loud music and bother everyone else (pool isn't very relaxing anyway, next to a noisy highway).

First off I would like to apologize for any housekeeping issues you experienced during your visit, we were understaffed due to multiple employee illnesses during your stay, however that is very unusual for us here as we pride ourselves on our clean rooms and friendly and helpful staff. We do offer pool towels at the front desk. And please inform the front desk staff if any guests in the pool area are being noisy and we will look into possible solutions. We hope that you will give us another chance if you're ever back in Asheville even though there were some miscommunications the last time.

Really were pleased with this hotel. Very clean good sized room. Breakfast was nice. The eggs were fresh and cooked perfectly. Location was just outside of downtown just off the highway. Able to easily drive to all the local attractions. Easy to pop into the city for dinner etc. A value !!

We stayed two nights recently when we were visiting for a family gathering. The location of this hotel was great. It's very close to Biltmore, the mall, and several restaurants. The rooms were extremely clean. I was quite impressed by the quality of the linens and comfy beds. Lots of choices for breakfast, too. We would highly recommend this hotel.

I chose this hotel based on other reviews I read, however, it was somewhat of a disappointment. TV did not work after check in so we called front desk and a staff member was very helpful and came to our room to get it working. We then couldn't log into the wifi, but that was resolved after another call to the front desk. The maid service did not clean our room after the first night so I had to go to the front desk the next day to get towels. Once they did clean, they didn't replenish cups or toiletries. Found bed to be too hard and uncomfortable. Free breakfast was good though and the hours served were very convenient. The hotel is a short drive to The Biltmore Estate and other attractions. Staff was always very friendly, helpful and courteous.

We visited Asheville with 2 other relatives. The management put us in rooms on first floor and near each other as we requested. The rooms are clean and and up to date, with some sort of linoleum floor so no musty carpet smells or dampness on your feet. And quiet even though you are right on busy Tunnel Road Our dog enjoyed the walk area and we enjoyed the breakfasts before venturing out each day. Ashley checked us in when we arrived and gave us good guidance for traffic directions, etc. Would stay here again with no worries.

I booked a room and advised I needed a ground floor room due disability. Tough luck your room is on the second floor and no elevator. I managed to get a room elsewhere for 1 night bur got no refund from this place. They admit they totally ignored the booking blaming Expedia The hotel is from the 70's that has had a makeover. Unfortunately the room had a very slippery granite step in the bathroom and the bathroom was so small even my cat would suffocate The beds had really cheap mattresses to the point the had put a topper on top which just bad the matter worse. Room full of huge flying insects the size of miniature flying dinosaurs. The wifi did not work unless I went and stood at the door way. IN summary and arrogant hotel , no care, over rated and over priced

Our goal is to not only meet the needs of each and every guest we serve but to also exceed your expectations, I'm sorry that this was not the case for you. This is our peak season here in Asheville and you will find our rates to be very competitive with the area. The type of room you booked is unfortunately not available on the first floor, it's only on the second floor. We of course would love to host you in the future and you can always call us directly, so that we can reserve you a room type that is available on the first floor. In regards to the insects you found, we take this very seriously and had a professional pest control company come out. Thankfully they did not find any type of insects during the inspection. Not one negative event happened during our 1 week stay. If I came up with one it would be a lie. The receptionists were always nice, the maids were always nice and sitting in that gazebo to take in the sounds of the birds and feel the breeze was the icing on the cake.

The Front desk staff very friendly. Nice hotel. Convenient to who I was visiting. Only 2 miles to Asheville VA. A few miles to the mall, lots of stores. Grocery store about 2 miles away. Good food around.

Very nice chain hotel, convenient to the highway. Multiple buildings. We stayed in a room in the front building right on the parking lot and busy road--but amazingly the room was very quiet. Comfortable beds, clean, spacious room. Great breakfast in the main lodge in the mornings, included in rack rate. Friendly, helpful desk staff. Would stay here again.

Stayed two nights and was very surprised at all the amenities offered for such a reasonable price. Room was sparkly clean, furniture was modern, bed was comfortable, flat screen tv (with channel guide provided) worked perfectly, breakfast was REALLY a hot breakfast, coffee was awesome, pool was sparkly clean (but it was too cool to swim), front desk clerks as nice and agreeable as could be. This was a wonderful place and I will definitely stay here again if I need to be in Asheville.

Very clean and updated. Love the outside entrance. Very nice breakfast room and check in. An upgrade for already pretty good Best Westerns. Large room and nice bathroom setup with sink outside the toilet/shower area.

Nice place, but could be near city center. Breakfast really crowed and not much options. Rooms are very confortable but noise from the road and other rooms could be heard. If the price were a bit lower I would accept stay there again

Quick trip to Biltmore or downtown. Full breakfast with eggs, 2 meats waffles etc. Plenty of restaurants close by. Only issue is parking. If you get in late you may not be able to park near your room. Beds were comfortable.

Easy to find this location just outside downtown area and access to main roads is close by. Room was comfortable, roomy, and clean. We both relaxed and slept great on our one night stay here. Breakfast was plentiful and flavorful with lots of options.

I was here for only one night. The hotel has recently been renovated. The rooms are very nice with a small fridge, a couple of small bottles of water and chocolate. There are electrical plugs everywhere. The vanity is outside of a small bathroom. I would have to disagree with the other reviewers on the breakfast. I thought it was below par. I don't know how those eggs were cooked but they looked like they were white and yellow frisbees. The bacon was undercooked. I don't eat carbs so I didn't eat the bagels or biscuits. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There are a few chain restaurants in the area and a large mall. There is also a Whole Foods.

I have to go to Asheville on business once a month at least and I stay here every time. They are so accommodating. Best Western has the best rewards program there is and they bend over backwards to accommodate you here. Rooms are always spotlessly clean and they allow a late check-out for reward members. Highly recommended.

You can get to Asheville easily via Uber. Breakfast is free, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. What more could you ask for?

Location and staff are good, but a bit disappointed with housekeeping and breakfast. Am a BW member so stay at a lot of their places and was disappointed in their breakfasts. First morning, no juices or breakfast pastries; second morning scrambled eggs reminiscent of powdered eggs we got in the military in the ‘60s. On both mornings, gravy for biscuits had absolutely no meat. As for housekeeping, it appears all they did was make the bed, and haphazardly at that with pillows left in the middl3 of the bed. Towels left where they were placed in the morning and some papers left on the floor. Management needs to take note of this if they want repeat customers.

This hotel looked to be a real bargain at well under $100/night for a King room. I saw from a review the door would open to the outside, not a problem since it wasn't winter. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the breakfast good. However an AT&T cell phone customer would be disappointed - no usable service. The wifi signal was weak and easily dropped. The water was brown - a couple inches in the bathtub and my feet were invisible. The front desk knew about the cell phone and water, but didn't see fit to mention them until I brought it up at checkout.

The city was doing unscheduled water pipe repairs in the days leading up to your stay and thus large portions of the Asheville area were affected by this incident. Our room looked to be redone recently. Nice and clean. We had the king bed & also a couch which was great, it pulled out into bed if needed. Our stay was for two nights and had no problems. A litte road noise which is to be expected. Breakfast was very good, but a little tight in dining room. Would stay here again. Price was reasonable. No problem getting in or out. Great location.

Best Western Asheville Tunnel Road is in the perfect location to explore Asheville and the surrounding area. We stayed three nights and were very pleased with the property, the rooms were clean (NEW carpets) the beds comfortable, the breakfast each morning was very good and plentiful, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

This property is not up to par with all other Best Western hotels we have stayed at over the years. It has doors to the outside and the restaurant is in different building. Wind blew in from door and highway noise was always present. Room was clean, beds were nice, and was probably being renewed. Around 9 pm a cracking noise behind the dresser started and stopped. Then happened twice more by the bed later waking us both up. Then at 2 am a very loud pop which may have been electrical short near the electrical conduit by our bed. We immediately packed and left. My wife was terribly upset! Front desk found us a room at nearby Best Western property at no additional charge. After reviewing on Best Western site, the reply back from the manager was standard boilerplate which was worse than saying nothing. We will not stay at Best Western as much on trips.

Breakfast was very good! Your average hotel items BUT the eggs, bacon and sausage was above average. Hotel itself was clean. I was not aware of the exterior doors leading to individual rooms. Sort of reminded me of a hotel/motel 6.8 ect.. walls are thin, as people checked out of their rooms Lots of doors slamming making the early morning hard to sleep in a few extra minutes. The bathroom was clean, nice white towels but there was a problem with the bathroom tub draining. I was room 235 and the water backed up out of the toilet from me taking a shower which was gross and over flowed into the floor excessively. When I checked out the front counter girl did not seem too concerned, but she said she would get maint department to check it out ASAP. I would say the price was reasonable and the bed was comfortable. Overall I would give a 3.5 of 5.

Chose this hotel because of its location near the city and the Biltmore Castle. This was a 2 night stay on our way home from vacation. Personnel at the front desk were great. The recommendation for a nice place to eat was very good. The breakfast that was included had a variety to choose from and the eating area was large and well kept.

Clean facility recently upgraded and refurbished . Very nice and good bargain for a family trip to Asheville. Close to downtown, Biltmore and other area amenities, restaurants and shopping. Arts District was very nice.

I'm on the road about 150 nights a year and these are some of my favorite beds. The rooms are very very clean and the breakfast is great. Hot eggs and sausage and lots of extras... Several different types of milk including almond milk and the coffee was really good. And some super friendly fish in the aquarium of course!

The hotel met the needs we had as far as having a place to sleep. The pillows were horrific but the bed wasn't bad. The room did not look anything like the pictures on the website. We booked with the reserve now, pay later option. When we arrived and went to pay for the room with cash we were told we would have to give $100 extra for incidentals to do so. If we kept the charge on the card, there would be no extra charge. Excuse me, but who does this and why? The breakfast area was clean but very crowded for less than 10 people to be in the room. There was lots of variety items available so even a diabetic would be well served.

Located on a busy road did not deter a good nights rest. Greeted by a courteous staff. Clean and comfortable accommodations. Road noise was not an issue once you close the door. A really good breakfast included for your enjoyment. Would go back if in the area.

I am a regular guest at the Best Western Asheville. Located near the city center and gas lamp district. Very particular about breakfast -- staff always comes through with a fabulous breakfast buffet. Rooms are extremely clean. Also, hotel is going through a modernization, updated rooms are great.

Check in was easy, The Room was clean and well maintaned, The breakfast bar had many choices of good food and check out was very fast. The one bad thing that I had was the weather Cold and raining.other than that a Great stay.

This motel was very clean. The amenities were nice, including the breakfast. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. They made the stay easy and enjoyable. Very close to the Biltmore and not far off the highway, but very quiet.

The acomidations were great, the beds were soft & the room was really clean. It was located 6 minutes away from downtown Asheville; lots is cute shops, coffee houses & restaurants. The staff was super friendly as well. We couldn't believe how great the included breakfast was; they had waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, cereal choices, yogurt & fresh fruit as well as lots of drink choices including Silk Almond milk!

We know when we book with best western the room will be clean, updated and have a comfortable bed. This room was just what we needed at a very good price. Located near the major highways, so all the places we went were easy to get to but you will have to drive to restaurants and shops because this hotel is on a highway, no sidewalks or places to walk.

The hotel was a good value and I would stay there again. The room was clean with a small fridge, microwave, safe, comfortable bed, and overall it was very quiet. The location was good, too. Easy Uber to downtown area and easy parking on location.

The room was clean and updated. The employees at the front desk were friendly and professional. Nice place to stay. The breakfast was hot and had a good basic selection, more that just a continental type breakfast. Check in and out was very easy.

This hotel is located close to everything, yet far enough away that you aren't in all of the hustle and bustle. We were four miles from Biltmore with shopping and restaurants in every direction. The beds were so comfy I wish I could have brought one back home with me! Breakfast is very good, with several choices,the coffee is amazing, and the hotel staff are the friendliest I have ever met. They make sure that you are happy with your stay. Last, but definitely not least...it is very easy to see that the housekeepers work hard and take pride in their job. Our room was immaculate and I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate them. I highly recommend this hotel, and the next time I am in Asheville I will definitely stay here again. Thank you to all of the staff at Best Western Asheville Tunnel Road. You are top notch, and truly the best!

I travel a lot, and BW Asheville Tunnel Road is my favorite hotel in Ashville. Service is always consistent, staff is super friendly and is very centralize for my business. I also travel to ashville for medical reasons, in this hotel is very clean and peaceful for my recovery.

Overall, we had a good stay in this hotel. It was clean and pet friendly. I just didn't realized when I booked this hotel, the rooms are outside the lobby, so it was hard in the morning to get breakfast with 30 degrees temperature or anytime you need something from the front desk or their kitchen.

Great location and property, but they need to have guaranteed connecting room accommodations on the first floor for those travelling with elderly or infirm family. My mother in law is 95 and has arthritis in the knees, but the only connecting rooms they had available were on the second floor. She endured those stairs with great difficulty rather than stay in a room that was not connected to ours.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of service provided by all staff. Rooms extremely clean and modern, full breakfast provided, beautiful lobby. All questions or concerns were answered in a professional manner. Stayed three nights, price was very reasonable including the pet fee. I would recommend for your stay in Asheville area. Located on a busy road, entry-exit can be tricky on rush hours.

We stayed here for a night during our trip to the Biltmore and would stay here again. The rooms were recently remodeled, towels were thick, bed comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Breakfast was a complete meal, we enjoyed it. Check in was a breeze with helpful staff. I highly recommend!

We always choose this hotel when we stay in Asheville. Always clean. Breakfast always has a great selection. Staff is always pleasant. This location makes sure they recognize rewards members. Great location not too far from Biltmore.

Spent two nights here - double (not queen) beds but we managed to sleep in separate beds for our 52nd anniversary ! It's not new, outside entrances, but had been updated and was very clean. Great buffet breakfast - lots and lots of choices.

This is a lovely place to stay. Rooms are well decorated in the contemporary style. Staff are friendly and helpful. And the food - phenomenal. Had a great breakfast every morning with food which was beyond amazing.

Stayed 2 nights here at this Hotel. A older place but very well kept and clean. Parking is at a premium at times due to construction going on next door. The breakfast is very well done and a reasonable amount of room so easy enough to get a table. Staff are very good and certainly seem to take some pride in the Hotel. If in the area again would certainly stay here again.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is just a short drive from downtown and Biltmore. No elevator to 2nd floor rooms so if you don't want to carry your bags up a flight of outdoor stairs, book a ground floor room.

We were (a family of 4) very excited to take a trip to Asheville. We booked a non smoking room, but the moment we opened the door to our room, it was obvious that was not the case. It smelled as if someone had smoked in the room recently & that smell had gotten absorbed into the carpet, draperies, and bedding. The AC was so loud, it made it hard to fall asleep. But, the breakfast and location were 2 perks of it. Overall, would definitely not recommend.

This hotel was great. Nice clean rooms that we're pretty spacious. Hot breakfast offered for free. Highly recommend this hotel for the area. In the town but outside of the heavily trafficed area. Easy to get in and out of. Outdoor access.

Staff willing to help in any way Made to feel so welcome from check in until check out! Th entire staff is very friendly. A wonderful view of mountains and the location could not be any better. Breakfast was really good. The food was fresh and there was great variety. The presentation was very appealing/appetizing. Hotel lobby and rooms are very clean and very nice decor. Beds and pillows Sooooo comfortable,THE BEST EVER!!!! Last year came about the same time to see the foliage (blue ridge mountains.) and liked it so much came back this fall!

Old facility, leaking faucet, noisy heater, obnoxious room odor. Although prefer Best Western brand would not recommend this hotel. It was centrally located for Biltmore & Downtown Asheville but far too expensive for poor quality.

Reasonably priced and very convenient if you are traveling with Fido. Get a room on the 1st floor and it goes right out to the yard. It was fairly quiet at night, save for a couple of dog barking events. The bathroom in our room was clean, but needed a little work. The free breakfast was better than most. Easy Uber to downtown.

We really like this hotel. More of a Motel and that was a nice change from the big hotels. We parked directly in front of our room. Easy in and easy out! The location was great for getting around Asheville. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The folks at the desk were very helpful providing help and advice on things going on in the area. The warm breakfast was great and is a nice option when you want to get going for the day and your don't want to waste time. When in Asheville we will certainly be back.

This Motel, with outside facing doors, steps, and balcony reminded me of many in California built in the 60s. But it was clean, quiet, and offered good quality. Only 7 minutes from downtown (by Waze) even in rush hour.

One of those Hotels that really is more like a motel. Lots of site workers staying on site which gave a different feel to the ambience. The room was clean with comfortable beds and all the usual tv, wi-fi, coffee machine, fridge. Breakfast was excellent but as in motels you had to leave your room and go across the site to another building. Difficult in rain or snow! Well located for exploring Asheville.

I chose the hotel for its location, which provided easy access both to downtown Asheville and locations we wanted to visit in the other direction from town. Also used previous reviews to guide me. We had a first floor room which provided easy access to our car and for unloading and loading the car. Also conveniently located near the lobby with the front desk and breakfast areas. Although we ate earlier, we liked that breakfast was served until 10:30. There was a good selection of items available. The front desk staff member who checked us in provided good information about places for dinner, mentioning local restaurants as well as the chains.

Had to leave in the middle of the night because the room we were in was infested with fleas. We had a dog with us and so maybe they put us in a dog-designated room and the previous occupant had an animal with fleas but i'm not sure. Either way, the fleas were all over the beds and start attacking my dog. Luckily my dog is on a very expensive and effective flea medication so they would die after biting him. Regardless, it was disappointing to experience. They couldn't put us in another room because they were fully booked. We found our own hotel luckily across town but had to pay an additional $100+ for this other hotel since it was so last minute. Someone called me from the hotel the next day to apologize and ensure me that my money would be refunded but that was it. She was very pleasant but did not offer anything for our nightmare night. Just be aware that there could be fleas in your room and the hotel will do little to redress that or compensate you for having to pay more for another hotel even if you have to leave in the middle of the night.

Nothing has been reported about your guest room previously, but we will definitely have it inspected. Hotel was located in a very scenic setting. The room was perfect, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff was professional and helpful on ideas about what to see. Altogether, there were 18 people in my family staying there, and there were no complaints at all. Would stay there next time.

Great hotel location to access the Biltmore or downtown Asheville. Rooms are good. Quiet and clean, and have everything you need at hand. Beds are very comfortable. One of the strongest selling points of this property is the staff. Everyone we encountered was a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and valued. They are constantly cleaning and maintaining the grounds. Great team effort by this hotel staff; very impressive. Breakfast is excellent in a lovely, well-designed, well-staffed area off the lobby. Plenty of seating! Waffles with fresh strawberries & blueberries were a really nice touch! Eggs, sausage & bacon, biscuts & gravy, hot oatmeal, and the rest of the usual fare had everyone covered for whatever mood they were in. Probably the best breakfast offering I have encounter in a long time. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends and family. We had a great 2-night stay!

This motel's building are of an older design with exterior room doors and park at the door style. When I first saw this I was concerned that the overnight experience might not be too good. But, the rooms have been remodeled completely and ours was very comfortable. Our room was clean, roomy, visually attractive, and everything worked. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast had a great selection and the food was of "better than average" quality. The staff were pleasant to deal with. A couple disadvantages: There were no elevators to 2nd floor rooms, so you have to carry luggage up stairs. The walk outside to breakfast could be an issue in bad weather. Also, the turn off of the main highway into the motel property was abrupt, and in heavy traffic you would want to have your turn signal on in advance to warn people behind you of your slowing for the turn. The motel was about 15 minutes from the entrance to Biltmore, more or less depending on traffic.

The staff was pleasant and friendly. The rooms was fresh and clean. Bed was comfortable with nice linens. Bathroom small, but clean with toiletries. Had a heated pool. Location was perfect, easy on and off highway.

We stayed on September 10th. Easy check in and out. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and fresh. Breakfast was very good. I wanted to rate room 4.5, it was better than just very good. If i'm in the area again this will be the first hotel I will look at. Thank you for a great stay and good night sleep.

This convenient location, friendly & courteous staff, clean rooms, and breakfast with a lot of variety were what we wanted and got. We stayed 3 nights, and the hotel was close to downtown and other Asheville attractions. Our bathroom looked new, and we loved having a safe in the room. Other people must like this hotel as well because late-night parking was at a premium but always available.

This Best Western was clean, rooms were well furnished and the wi-fi was adequate. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast in the hotel lobby area and the friendliness, courtesy, and efficiency of the employees.

This Best Western is our go to hotel when in Asheville. The Biltmore and lots of great restaurants and shopping are within a ten minute drive. We've been coming for a year and are noticing improvements to the property each visit. We've stayed in a variety of rooms, so I feel confident saying they are clean and quiet. Breakfast is your normal motel breakfast, although they are offering more items from few months ago. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great location, clean and quiet place to stay.

When we arrived, we were concerned that we had chosen a hotel that would not be convenient for what we wanted to do in Asheville - hang out downtown and visit the Biltmore. We were pleasantly surprised to find that this is a very good take-off point for all activities in the area. It is only 10 minutes away from downtown and 10 minutes from Biltmore Village. The room was clean. The mattress was comfortable. The free breakfast had many options. Look for bargains to stay there, because the rate initially quoted by BW was high. But hotel rates in the area are higher than you would expect.

In spite of adjacent construction and a busy 4-lane, the room was comfortable and quiet; pool looked inviting, staff very welcoming, Breakfast was adequate. Good location. Would return if we are back in Asheville.

We had two nights reserved at this hotel and arrived about 4:00 pm after being on the road since 6:00 am. We got settled in our room and commented that the room next to us contained two small dogs that were barking incessantly. After returning from dinner, the dogs were still barking so we mentioned it to the front desk. They said they were aware and had been trying to reach the guests in that room with no success. The two young ladies had not registered any dogs when they checked in. By 11:00 pm they had still not returned and the dogs were still barking. The front desk made arrangements to move us and the guests on the other side of that room to a different hotel so that we could get some sleep. The cost of our room was absorbed by the hotel (and I'm sure charged to the two young ladies that eventually returned). We had no hesitation in returning for our second night of our stay. I can't say enough about the staff in going above and beyond to accommodate us in this situation! The room was very comfortable, bathroom was newly renovated and breakfast was the standard with a good selection of hot and cold choices. We would stay here again if we're ever back in the area.

The hotel is situated a little out of town but the location was great. Uncongested and very easy to get to. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. Appreciated the amenities and used them all especially the breakfast, wi-fi and pool.

Stayed here on a night when Asheville was sold out. The outside of the property is a little dated but the room had everything we needed. It was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good and all the employees we interacted with were gracious. It was a good stay for just one night!

The hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was delish. They keep the property very clean. The service was very good, they provide almost anything you might need. They have a little snack bar also

BW is one of our choices when doing a quick overnight to Asheville. The customer service/desk reps are cordial and friendly and recognize us which adds a personal touch. They are accommodating with room requests. We also like the convenient location and breakfast!

Great room, comfortable beds, good water pressure in showers, nice pool, hot breakfast. Would definitely stay at this motel again. Just minutes from the mall. Convieient to everything we needed including Biscuithead and Asheville Sandwich Shop

We stayed here while passing through the area on our way home, mainly due to the fact that they charged only a small pet fee for our two dogs. We were pleasantly surprised as to how clean and modern the rooms and restrooms were. Also very impressed by the extensive free breakfast buffet. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed overnight in preparation for a driving tour of Great Smoky National Park. Motel was easy to find, and had a great breakfast. Room was comfortable, dinning was close by. The room was clean and well presented. We had easy access to our parking spot. Our stay was quiet and restful.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights.The first night when we got in the room we just thought it was smelly because the air was not on,then I went into the bathroom and the smell of bleach is so strong kind of smell like chlorine like I was in swimming pool .When I woke up I had a bad headache. We got up and went to Breakfast which was very good and the stuff were very friendly.We went sightseeing and got back to the room and once again the room smelled musty and stale and the bathroom still had that strong smell of chlorine . When we checked out we told the front desk and they said they would check the room out. We will not be Sta ting at this hotel again!

Tunnel Road Best Western was an ideal location. Less than 10 minutes into Asheville and with easy access to the Blue Ridge as well. Very good value. Comfortable and quiet rooms, nice pool at the end of hot days exploring.

This we loved the extras...the courtyard and sliding glass doors looking out at the pool. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The hotel receptionist was extremely friendly and answered all our questions about the area. Highly recommended while visiting Asheville.

This is a drive up hotel with outside entrance rooms. There was ample parking and I was able to get a spot close to my room. There is a large outdoor pool; it was out in the parking lot and looked inviting. It was a very hot day and the AC was on full blast when I checked into my room, so it was cool from the start, which was nice!! The room had a variety of pillow types, and plentiful USB and electric outlets. The bed was comfortable. The website indicated the room had a pullout sofa but my room was smaller and only had a chair. There were a fridge and microwave in the room although the fridge didn't cool very well. It also wobbled. Breakfast was very good! Juice was not watery, they served eggs/sausage/biscuits/gravy along with cold items. Lots of variety, items were replenished often, comfortable and plentiful seating. My only complaint was that the TV did not work properly, the cord on the back was loose so the picture would get distorted and become unwatchable. Front desk was unable to help. Still this was a nice property and I would stay there again. We had room 138 which was right next to the stairs so we did hear some coming/going outside but not enough to disturb our sleep.

This was a nice location just out of the busy Asheville area. The only problem we had was the moisture in the room. It seemed damp and had a weird smell. We did not report the problem since we were only there a few nights. Breakfast was nice!

We stayed here July 2 and and July 3. Loved the place. Great central location. Near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Near to restaurants. Motel was very clean. Office staff very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was great. Only complaint I have is that the toilet was to close to the wall but that is minor.

This is in a busy area, but we stayed on the back side of the hotel so we did not hear road noise. The check in staff was very nice and helpful. She asked us about room placement and we were given a room that was quiet and away from the pool and road as requested. She recommended a good restaurant which we enjoyed and is reviewed separately. The room was very nice and clean. Great hot shower which I appreciated after being on the road all day. Breakfast was usual fare and good.

The carpet was very dirty. Not something one would always notice, but my husband was walking around in his socks and discovered later that the were filthy from the carpet. The deadbolt lock on the door did not work. As the rooms opens directly to the outdoor walkway this concerned me. The switch on the floor lamp was broken. Taken all together, it was not the best experience. I would not stay there again. There are plenty of other nice places in and near Asheville.

The Asheville Best Western was very nice. It was so accommodating since we needed two rooms and we were able to have adjoining rooms. We also had our grand-dog and they have a nice pet area. Entrance doors are on the outside, but no safety concerns at all. Would definitely stay there again.

Clean rooms, good breakfast, nice pool! Had a 2 night stay in June. For some reason, wi-fi and cell phone service was lousy, but that could have just been my phone. Otherwise, it was a value place. Large rooms. When we were there on a Thursday night, there were a lot of construction/road workers staying there as well.

Great location! You are around the corner from everything you need, restaurants, hiking, and easy to locate. The jacuzzi tub in our room was perfect after our hikes. Clean room, comfortable bed, and great breakfast selection. The only complaint I would have was the ice machine drops ice all night long so that can be a little aggravating.

We didn't stay in the hotel hardly at all. This is located in a great spot to reach all the fun hiking spots, restaurants, and scenery. The place was clean but not spectacular by any means. If you plan on spending most of your time out and about this is a great value. Plenty of parking, close to liquor stores and outdoor equipment shops.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. This hotel decor was beautiful. The pool was very nice. The breakfast was very good and a variety of options. We would stay at the hotel again if we travel through this area. The staff was very pleasant and helpful on arrival and the staff was very pleasant and polite on departure.

Hotel was very convenient. Clean & comfortable. Thought the price was a little high for the type of room. Probably would stay again. We were near some restaurants and a short Uber drive to Visitors Center.

This was an average motel. Outside doors and windows. Very quiet. Close to road. Beds were comfortable. Just a few miles from downtown. We had a king bed. Air conditioning worked great There was a pool but we didn't use it.

This is a decent place to stay in the outskirts of historic Asheville if you are passing through. Consistent Best Western experience with updated rooms and amenities. Parking right outside your room is always nice. Multiple dinner options nearby. Breakfast buffet was just fine. Good customer service at the desk both arriving and leaving. This motel is a good value for the price.

The hotel is very nice. VERY busy, and a little crowded-seemed that the hotel was full or at least very close to capacity. The room was nice. We had a king bed and a pullout setup, and it was easy to set up, and we didn't have to ask for anything because the blanket, the sheet set and a pillow were already in the room. There was only one extra pillow in the room for the pullout, and we had 2 children sleeping on the pullout, so we gave them one of the MANY bed pillows on the king bed. The continental breakfast was well stocked and the attendants were attentive, but the area in which it sits gets crowded fast because of the amount of people and the smaller area in which the setup is located. The parking lot has enough spaces, but sometimes you may have to park well away from your room, due to a lot of work trucks and related extra space they take up. There is a pool, and its centrally located on the property (in the front of the hotel, right near the road and right there in the parking lot). Fenced, and has some equipment for fun-a basketball hoop, noodles, and a few balls. Traffic around the hotel is busy, but it is very easy access to 240. Overall, very pleasant stay.

We were traveling to Charleston SC and were looking for somewhere to stay one night. We checked in around midnight. They lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever back that way.

Staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Hotel Amenities are fantastic. Close to the business center of Asheville. Breakfast and high speed internet were also great. Look forward to future stays at Tunnel Road Best Western.

The hotel is nice and clean but extremely humid in the rooms. There was a lot of rain but I had to have a dehumidifier put into the room. I have previously stayed there in the winter months and was very satisfied but won't stay there again unless it is in the cooler months.

Room had foul order. Carpet was wet, around fridge. Slippery Bathroom Floor. Staff was very professional, and helpful, but since hotel was sold out, nothing they could do. As a long time award member expected a lot more from this Best Western.

The facility is an A- only because it is a little outdated. It is clean (important!) and staff/management is very accommodating. Location is great. No issues or problems here. Highly recommend to others who like the BW brand.
