« Best Hotel in Albany, OR »

The General Manager Danielle Sell makes you feel like family very welcoming. The facilities are excellent ,clean spacious rooms, outstanding breakfast and hot coffee is available aii day. We have stayed at the location several time's and we're greeted warmly when we checked in. We are members of Best Western hotel reward program and receive a room upgrade when available. Let's not forget the indoor pool and workout room. Overall a great place to stay with a friendly staff.

    « Business Mtg »

I was notified last minute of a meeting nearby this facility and was able to secure a nice room for a good price in spite of a local teenager volleyball tournament. I was very pleased with the property and staff.

    « Jim M. Very nice stay! »

Staff was great. Very clean. Upgraded us to a dual queen. Will stay hear when ever we see the kids in Lebonan. Nice location off I-5. Quiet and great breakfast. Short travel to destination. Great pool and hot tub.

« Very nice staff and great service »

Can't think of a single complaint. Jonathan at the front desk was beyond nice and helpful. Was here for a conference and very glad we choose to stay there as many other hotels looked run down and dated.

« Just of the Interstate »

A hidden gem in a great location. If you just need an overnight stop this hotel is great, but if your looking to spend a few days - this hotel is a great location. Albany is a nice little town and this BW is situated to allow exploration of it and the surrounding area very easily. I had a great time and the Prairie was an unexpected oasis.

« Staying in Salem but prefer Albany .It's only a short drive to Albany. »

We stay here every time we have to go to Salem . We stay in Albany . They have .agrest restaurant right down the road. The service is always great and thier presidential suite with the in room jaccuzi tub is worth it

    « Clean & Quiet »

We had stayed at this Best Western a few years ago and decided to come back. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet. The continental breakfast was suitable for our needs. The rooms on the north side are quieter and I would suggest staying on the 3rd floor away from the elevator.

« Not sure ill return »

My family rented the suite for the weekend and chose this hotel because they have an indoor pool and we have a restless 2 year old. Pictures looked great online. Looked clean when we checked in. First thing I noticed was a sign on the desk stating their pool was closed. A courtesy call with a heads up would have been welcomed as I work in hospitality and its always a nice touch so guests can make other arrangements had they chosen the hotel for the extra amenities. The front desk gentleman wasnt friendly, but very short and almost snotty with us till he saw I also work for Best Western. That being said. I know first hand how working in customer service can drain a person. Especially when your working alone and have needy guests. Room was gorgeous. And we were pleased until we pulled the blankets back to cozy down for the night and found this. When I called the front desk to ask for new bedding, the gentlemen at the desk sounded honestly confused as to what clean sheets and mattress cover was. When he finally did show with it, The least he could have done was offer an apology considering the huge dried blood stain on our bedding. But neither that night or check out or after has anyone there reached out to offer and apology. Convenient I never received a Best Western survey questionnaire as a Gold member either.

« Perfect is good enough for me! »

I stayed in the king suite with a Jacuzzi tub. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, the room had plenty of space, and that Jacuzzi - those jets are powerful! The staff at this location was very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be returning.

« Good sleep, but stay out of pool area »

We stayed at this hotel because we typically stay with Best Western for its predictability and affordability. Room was nice. Typical continental breakfast spread. My daughter and her friends staying there used the pool and hot tub and got bacterial/fungal skin infection. So, make sure someone has tested pool recently or insist on test prior to enjoying the tiny pool area.

    « Great value »

This is where I stayin Albany. I like it because it's close to town, but just off I5. It has a nice indoor pool, and plenty of parking space. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I feel I get a good room for the money.

    « Would book again. »

Do to unforeseen circumstances, we had to extend our stay past the original reservation as we were visiting the valley from Eastern Oregon to have a pet seen and treated at the OSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Corvallis. We had no problems adding days to the original reservation and were even able to remain in the same room vs. having to pack everything up to relocate to a different room. We found the front desk/management to be friendly, professional, and very responsive and proactive to any problems we encountered during our stay. The pet area in the rear of the hotel was large, reasonably maintained, clean, and stocked with waste bags. The complimentary continental breakfast was as to be expected for a Best Western but they appeared to be attentive to it and were on point as far as promptly replenishing items for as needed during our multi-day stay. The free 24/7 coffee was deeply appreciated. If I were to have any constructive criticisms, it would be that the hotel should consider adding additional night-time lighting to the pet area if the neighboring airport will allow it, insure card-only access the rear doors after hours as the signs claim they are (they were unlocked 24/7 when we were there), and the sausage patties are superior to the sausage links! Thanks,

« It was ok not amazing »

It was ok. There were issues. Phone did not work(not fixed during our stay even though they were notified) running tolI let ran a lot when not being used (notified) no hair dryer even though there should be(they fixed) door stuck and was very very hard open. On the positive, breakfast was easy and their room had plenty of space. Room was clean.

« NW Fly Tying Expo »

The room was VERY nice. It was more than I expected. It was on the first floor and close to the front door which I really appreciated. The help was very pleasant and helpful. The Continental Breakfast was exceptional.

    « Overnight stay »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Prairie Inn In Albany, Or the night before our wedding. They provided a room to have a pizza party and did everything they could to make our stay perfect. The staff was excellent

    4
« Great location to Linn County Fairgrounds »

We travel a lot for dog shows. When we find a clean, quite, and friendly one - we go back. This hotel has enough grounds nearby to potty dogs, but Timber Linn Park is just down the road. A beautiful park to enjoy walking dogs and relax. This hotel is recently upgraded. The pool was under going a cleaning, so it was unavailable. They do offer a breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.

    4
« Bring food with you »

Need more food options available. Unless you want to drive, there's only vending machines on premise and nothing really within walking distance to eat. A pantry for guest to buy stuff would help out greatly.

« Stay at the Best Western Prairie Inn, Albany OR »

Good experience here at this property. Swimming pool under renovations but should be completed by March 2018. Big breakfast room with variety of cereals, fruit, waffles, and hot entrees. Separate coffee/tea service area. Very friendly and caring staff. Nice large lobby with complimentary morning newspaper.

    « Square dance festival »

Love staying at this hotel. We had adjoining rooms with our friends. the beds are so comfortable and clean. They are always so excited about the square dancers coming, they remembered us from last year and cannot wait to see us all dressed up. Enjoyed the breakfast. It is located not far from where we go and easy to get to. A lot of the dancers stay there and we have already reserved a room for next year.

« value in Albany OR »

No unwelcome surprises. Check in and check out were easy with competent staff. Parking areas, lobby and exterior were all good. Rooms are clean and comfortable and it was a quiet stay. I didn't try the breakfast so I can't comment on that.

    5
« very nice hotel in a good location for travellers »

This place is very welcoming and the service was great. The hotel is well equipped though I didn't use the pool or anything other than the room. Quiet location despite being within proximity of Interstate 5. Highly recommended.

    « Another solid stay »

I spend a lot of nights traveling, and unless it isn't practical, I stay at best western plus. This stay was a perfect example. Solid stay, great value, clean and quiet room with hot breakfast in the morning. Staff was helpful as always and I'm glad to find yet another best western plus to add to my map of "quality spots"

    « Rated 10 »

BE, Albany, OR, is on our "Best Best Western list, and we have stayed in the Best Western brand across the U.S. Rooms are well appointed. Everything works as it should. Breakfast is very good, with all the items you would enjoy in a restaurant for $25 - $30 per couple....and you don't have to make another stop when you are traveling. Staff is exceptional.

    5
    « Volleyball trip »

From check in to check out... Great experience. Thank you for the group rate, helpful service, and great treatment. The kids loved hanging out in the pool together and breakfast for everyone, the next day, was awesome.

    « Malfunctioning door locks. »

Malfunctioning door locks. Maintenance came and fixed the lock. Next day the key card wouldn't even work on the outside door. Had to walk around the building in the cold and wind. Overall ruined a very fun trip to a festival. Bacon at breakfast was paper thin and stuck together.

    5
« Good quality place to stay simple and nice »

I stayed for work and this place is kept clean. The staff is helpful. Breakfast is welcoming and decent. I was very happy with my stay. I travel for my work and out of a lot of hotels this one is a decent 3-4 star hotel for Oregon.

    5
    « Customer service »

They have amazing customer service! I would come back or try many other best wester. There breakfast is amazing. They have soup when it's cold. There beds are comfy! Checking in is easy. They help white anything right away.

    « Fairly typical BW »

The Prairie Inn was ok. Not the nicest BW we have ever stayed at but certainly not the worst either. Nice touch was having soup and crackers in the lobby in the evening for a light snack. Coffee pots were also available in the lobby. Location was not walking distance to any restaurants that I could see. Our king room was fine albeit a bit worn and dated. My biggest pet peeve is having the sink outside the bathroom! What an annoyance when one person is getting ready and the other is sleeping. Not even a curtain to draw to block out the light. Breakfast was actually pretty good selection and staff was friendly.

    « Quinton's Adventure »

This hotel was fantastic. There rooms were great and we had everything we needed. My wife, who suffers from back problems loved the bed and we all slept very well. The breakfast was great too We are coming at the end of the month and plan on staying at this hotel again

    5
    « It was great! »

This was a free reward night stay and they gave me a king suite instead of just a plain king room, which was so nice!! I dint ask for the suite, he just did that on his own. It was a beautiful room! Thanks!

« BW Plus Praire Inn is the Best Choice In Albany »

I've booked this BW Plus whenever I come to Albany to visit family. I've gotten to know the front desk personnel by name and several of these people remember my name. You always get your money's worth during your stay. Every stay is just like the previous stay, perfect in every way. The rooms are ready for you when you arrive, well stocked with everything you need. If you have a need of something they'll fix you up. When I'm in Albany Oregon, I'm at Best Western Plus. Tell Danielle hi for me.

    3
    « Not a good check in »

Check in experience was not a good one and set the tone of the whole stay. We checked in later (7pm) and the front desk lady seemed annoyed and was not welcoming at all.Honestly, the rest of the stay wasn't bad, but like I said, the check in sort of tainted the whole thing.

    5
    « As expected. »

Stayed here previously and was fine. Employees were friendly and asked if there was anything they could help us with. Bed gave us a good night's rest after a very long drive in horrible weather. A good overnight stop.

    5
    « Great hotel! »

Very nice place, very clean. Room was very large, I've stayed in hotels where the room was half the size and cost more. We've stayed there on our road to Eugene for just one night, but liked the hotel a lot, if we knew about it before we might have stayed for more. Would stay there again if I'm in the area.

    4
    « Okay for today »

Everything was very nice. Breakfast was good but bacon was flat. Price was much higher then I would normally pay. I was stuck getting a room on a busy weekend. I did look a few weeks ahead but was still VERY high priced for my taste.

    5
    « Best Hotel ! »

This was the nicest Hotel! The whole place was so clean and inviting! Nice family atmosphere, great rooms, and very clean! No musty or smoke smell anywhere and so nice. The workout room was nice and had free weights and machines, so very nice! Best breakfast by a hotel! We had so many choices and everything was fresh! Great Hotel!

    5
« I always stay here when in the area »

This is a nice clean, quiet hotel with friendly helpful staff. I always stay here when I'm in the area. The hotel breakfast is good, hot, and plenty of food. The staff is always good at recommending great restaurants in the area.

    « Average »

No hairdryer! Pillows are the size of throw pillows and uncomfortable. Sheets were a little on the old sideand there was an extreme smell of cinnamon in hallway The stay was ok but not a good value in comparision to other Best Western locations.

« On our way home. »

On our way home we needed a motel for the night. We have had good luck with Best Western so checked in here. From checking to leaving, it was a great experience. They even helped us find a great place to eat. We would stay here again.

    « A Touch Upscale »

Traveling with our Pug required some advance planning as to dog-friendly accommodations. We found all the Best Westerns we used to be adequate or better, and all staff were helpful and friendly. However, the one in Albany, OR deserves some special recognition. It has the advantage of sitting on a rise, with a large portico covering the semi-circular driveway. As we stayed there in October, there was a very pretty covering of colorful, fallen leaves blanketing the yard. All of this made a really nice first impression. As at all of the Best Westerns, our room was as reserved, with no hassles. However, it appeared that this particular hotel had undergone a bit of an upgrade as to furniture, decor, etc. Our room rate included a very nice breakfast selection of eggs, toast (and several other breads and muffins), sausage gravy, bacon and sausage, fruit, coffee, tea, etc. All items were hot, not semi-hot as one often finds in these cases. The furniture in the dining room, lobby and our own room all appeared to have been recently placed, and was quite attractive. The lobby itself was nicely done, and welcoming. The woman who checked us in was also friendly, and happily answered our few questions. Another attractive feature was the pool ~ it was an indoor pool, and adjoined the lobby. The room it was in was lighted day and night, making the pool constantly visible behind paned windows, which gave the impression of French doors. Very inviting. Lastly, many of the hotels, including this one, had treats packaged and ready for our pet when we checked in. A really nice touch for pet lovers. (The Best Western in Roseburg, OR even had a dog "play yard", with its own artificial turf, some tennis balls, and a plastic fire hydrant!) As an added, unexpected treat, the Prairie Inn also had hot soup available in the afternoon for their guests. We were very pleased with all aspects of this establishment.

    5
    « Would stay again »

We were traveling and found this Best Western to be a safe, comfortable snd satisfying experience. The staff was helpful and professional. We were only there overnight and for breakfast but found it to be a refreshing stop.

    4
    « Nicer than expected »

We were in town to move our daughter into her dorm at OSU. It's hard to find decent accommodations in Corvallis so we tried Albany which really wasn't too far away at all. We were pleased with the staff, decor and breakfast. The only negative was the very dim lighting in the room.

    5
    « Moving »

Wow. What a nice hotel. So clean and updated. It looks brand new from the inside. We stayed in a jetted tub room .... it was the most precious room we have ever had and soaking in our own private jetted tub was the best ever. We were packing and moving our house and stayed here after we loaded up our beds. What a great decision We will stay here every time we come. It was great.

    5
« Great Hotel to stay in Albany »

This Best Western would be one of the best hotels I've stayed in a great hot potato soup offered at check in area. Hotel was clean and inviting lobby with well manicured gardens. It was such a great overall experience that we stayed another night there and would recommend this Hotel to anybody wanting accommodation in Albany Oregon to stay.

    5
« Very happy with this hotel »

Clean, relatively affordable, good breakfast with lots of choices, nice pool (although a bit small), and comfortable beds. Happy with our stay. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. No problems at all!

    5
« Excellant Staff and Accomadations »

Friendly Polite and Helpfully Staff, Management works hard so that you enjoy your stay and helps tend to your every need. Location is excellent for access to any local events.Dinning locations are easily accessable

« Great place to stop on our way to Silver Falls State Park »

Very friendly check-in staff. They offered hot drinks in the lobby in the evening. We're not coffee drinkers but they had hot chocolate and hot cider, as well. They offered to let us use their breakfast tables to play card games in the evening. The breakfast had many choices and the eating area was clean and had plenty of tables. Good beds and clean rooms.

  • 2
    « Dirty bed »

Everything was good between checking in and checking out except when I went to strip the bed for the housekeepers I found a used tissue between the sheets, hairs and lent between the bottom and top sheet.

    5
    « Quick stay »

We pulled into the hotel at 2:30 in the morning. The Woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We have stayed here before and it is always a great stay. They have good parking for trailers also. Highly recommend this hotel.

    4
« Good Restful Place, easy return to Highway »

From the moment you arrive on this property you will be greeted by a friendly front desk that does listen to what you are needing, and provided a quiet, sunny room well appointed for an overnight stay. There is a coffee and tea maker in the rooms, as well as microwaves and a refrigerator with a small freezer. The internet worked well, the morning ful breakfast was overseen by another very helpful member of staff. This hotel also makes it clear that no noise will be tolerated after 11:00 p.m., a welcome respite for people travelling long distances needing a good night's sleep. Will definitely return to this property.

    5
« Clean, quiet and friendly. »

We had a great 8 day stay. No fault could be found. We needed rest and downtime and they gave it to us. I would recommend it to anyone I know. There was even an Oregon/California football game during our stay but they somehow kept even the rowdy football fans happy and in order.

    4
    « Great for Dogs »

Often when you go to a hotel that takes dogs the room smells like it takes dogs. That is not the case here. It is a nice best western and they are very gracious and nice. There is a nice big field across the street that was a great place to take the dog.

    3
« Comfortable stay, but internet down during our visit »

This was an ideal place for us to stop during our travel en route to SW Oregon. Check-in was super fast, which was great since we were checking in so late. We had a comfortable night of sleep. The only bugaboo was the wi-fi was down during the 10 or so hours we were there. I was able to use the hotel computer to get a bit of work done, but our laptops and phones were unable to connect. Wouldn't have been a big deal in the old days, but hampered us a bit on this stay.

    4
« GREAT PLACES TO STAY »

why don't you accept caps or at least tell me before I spend the time filling it out then telling me! The hotel is terrific we stayed 4 weeks ago and got to watch a Hot Air Balloon gathering take off right across the street from the hotel! The manager and the desk clerk Libbie, are very person oriented and make you feel welcome!

    3
« Nice hotel, but beware of small shower stall »

Nice hotel, but had issues with the reservation (i.e. came back to hotel after getting child settled at OSU) and key-card would not work. Had this issue twice. Also - the shower stall in the room was only two feet square, which makes it impossible to even bend over to wash the lower half. Had I known this I would have reserved somewhere else.

    5
« Very Clean and Welcoming! »

After a very long day on the motorcycle, we pulled into the Best Western Plus in Albany Oregon. This is a very nice hotel. It is made so much nicer by the very wonderful young lady at the front desk - Danielle. She was so very helpful and friendly - she even scoped out a parking spot for us as the bike was also pulling a trailer. The coffee and tea at the lobby was also so great. It had been a very long day and I was just happy to have my tea. The room was very clean and there was nothing that could have been added to make it better - great as it is. In the morning, I mentioned to the Manager on duty how welcoming Danielle is to guests. Very nice staff here. The breakfast was also very good. My thanks to Best Western Plus in Albany Oregon.

    3
    « friendly staff »

The staff is very friendly and the location is great for an overnight stop-right by the freeway. The breakfast is standard fare for Best Western. Our room was clean and we didn't get much freeway noise at all. My one beef, and the reason for the rating, was that we were given an adjoining room. The door was soooo thin we could hear everything and I mean EVERYTHING that was said in the room next door. Thankfully this did not turn into a very embarrassing situation! Unfortunately, our neighbor left the tv on all night, though. Also, we heard a lot of sirens. Not sure if this hotel was on the way to the hospital or what. Otherwise a very nice hotel with excellent staff.

    « Kid to college »

The place had easy access to the interstate and was clean and had a full breakfast and they coffee was just as good as Starbucks. We only had one night reserved but decided to stay an extra night and the staff was great an accommodating. I would stay there again

    5
    « Very nice »

I've always had good luck with Best Westerns so far. This was no exception. Clean, comfortable, and friendly service. There was a nice indoor pool and good breakfast provided. I would definitely recommend.

    5
    « Excellent employees »

I always stay here when visiting Albany. The employees are excellent. The hotel is really pretty, the lobby is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and relax. The breakfast is quite good. The rooms are decent sized and the beds are very comfortable.

    5
« Always stay here when we travel through Oregon. »

We really like this hotel. Staff is friendly, super easy check in and out. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable. Daughter and husband enjoy using the pool. Breakfast is pretty good. We just stayed about a week ago and plan on staying again in the next couple days. Close to Red Robin and other restaurants and I believe a Kohls and other stores close.

    5
« The best stay I have had in forever. »

The staff and facility where the best and I strongly recommend this hotel. The breakfast includes everything you would get in a restaurant and the attendant was on top of it with a great big smile. The room was clean and tidy and well stocked with anything you may need.

« Overnight stay in Albany »

We are a senior married couple that have done extensive international travel. We stopped at the Best Western Plus. We made our reservation in May. The hotel was sold out so no upgrade was available. Plan in advance if you're planning to stay when there is a home football game in Eugene.

    5
    « Great breakfast »

Nice rooms, great staff, quiet, nice pool & spa (both handicapped accessable), and one of the best breakfast buffets we've encountered. I also liked the TV listing to help in finding something to watch. And spotlessly clean!

    5
« Very nice place to stay »

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Tthe room were clean and very nice. Breakfast was great. I arrived early and they were helpful in getting me a room within 30 minutes. I would recommend staying here.

« Labor Day weekend with grandson »

Enjoyed the room, breakfasts, pool, nearby dog park as well as the dog area on site. In addition, thoroughly enjoyed the wildflowers picked by my grandson behind hotel. One day drove to Newport and enjoyed the beach and another went hiking at silver fall state park.

    « Wonderful Hotel »

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The front desk was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. I would highly recommend it and we will definitely be staying there again ;)

« Perfectly adequate for one night »

We stopped here for one night on our road trip and it was A-OK. It's a basic, no frills Best Western - pretty much what you'd expect from the brand's middle tier. Great location at the intersection of I-5 and 20. About 10 minutes' drive from the downtown area. Situated next to a small airport but we didn't hear any aircraft noise, or noise from I-5. We did hear the train on and off throughout the night but it wasn't that loud. The most noise we heard was from the children in the room above us. If you're traveling with a dog, they have a few rooms on the lower level near the back entrance. There's a small field out back and also an OK park across and down the main street to walk the pups. At the far end of the park, there's a fenced in dog area. The hotel charges a $20 fee/dog. The room was just OK. The main downside of this motel for me was that the queen beds aren't queen sized- they're full sized and uncomfortable for two average sized adults. The AC worked wonderfully, which was key since it was in the high 90s. The rest of the room was typical BW - the sink is located outside the tiny bathroom, a tiny closet area with hangers that kept falling off as you moved them. Bar soap but shampoo/conditioner are in dispensers (which I like). There was a small laundry room on our floor and a soda and ice machine next to it. We didn't try the breakfast. Service was mixed. One woman at the front desk (Arielle?) was very nice and friendly, the other was efficient but unfriendly. There wasn't much going on in downtown Albany. We had a great meal at Vault 244. Overall, the motel was fine for the value ($60 cheaper than the BW in Corvallis) and a reasonable choice for a short stay - but try to get a room with a king bed.

Although all the amenities and service were excellence the breakfast was the best I had in all my travels. We will be visiting this establishment again and recommend it to others traveling through Oregon. G Straub

    « Everything just right »

I had a king room for one night and it met all my expectations of a quality hotel. I was especially impressed to find a coffee machine in the room that brewed coffee. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the TV enormous.

« Excellent Room, Great Staff »

Really enjoyed our stay! Very clean rooms and excellent facilities. Also enjoyed the gym which was very clean and had new equipment. Location was easily accessed from the freeway and I appreciated the consistent quality as I was there two different times recently. Staff was kind and friendly.

« Outstanding place to stay »

I came up to see the Eclipse and stay at the Prairi Inn in Albany for three days, everything was wonderful, Would definatley stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. Staff were great, the pool and jaccuzzi is open 24 hours i find this convenience for night owls that want to just chill and rest.

    « Very nice hotel »

Very clean, friendly staff, good location right off freeway. The breakfast was very good and included plenty of options. We didn't use the pool or spa, but they appeared clean and well maintained. We were in town to see family and look for a house, and this location was perfect and centrally located to all areas of Albany.

    « Excellent service »

We were locked out of our house after flying 10 hours. Called Best Western Primer and luckily there was room at the Inn. A nightmare was turned into a peaceful night thanks to Libby on the front desk.

« Very nice people, clean well-supplied rooms, small windows, typical breakfast. »

The folks at the front desk were extremely nice, the room was perfectly clean, the beds were fine (not great, not terrible), the sheets were (honestly) quite old but adequate. The housekeeper for the room was exceptionally sweet. The breakfast was fine (not the best at a BW, but about average). I wish the eggs didn't have butter in them (labeled as eggs with butter), since I'm allergic to milk fat and lo carb, so the only things I can usually eat at such meals ARE the eggs. I ate the hard boiled eggs, which were a bit old, but ok. Everything else was fine (well, the fire in the kitchen was a bit out of the ordinary), especially considering that the place was full to capacity. The wine tasting and food spread in the lobby during our (eclipse) stay was a very nice touch.

the front desk was very helpful with finding restaurants she seemed to care. we had some sort of a cable issue with r TV she came to r room twice with a trouble shooting book did all she could do to fix the issue. even was willing to move us to another room but there were no rooms available. She ended up issuing us a discount because r tv was working. excellent service. I would stay there again. breakfast was good no complaints

Excellent rooms and friendliest service ever! Great breakfast and clean rooms. The lady who checked me in happened to be going by my room later, and I was trying to open the door with full hands so she used her master to open it for me!

First time stopping at this Inn and were delighted with our beautiful room, comfy bed and pillows, and the friendly and accommodating staff. Liked it so much we immediately booked reservations for our return on the route back home to California.

« Good quiet hotel that I would stay in again »

This hotel was a way-point for us after a day of travel. We normally stay in Hampton Inns, and measure other hotels as better or worse than that standard. There were no Hampton Inns in Albany. The Best Western lobby is welcoming, and surprisingly, the pool right off the lobby is open 24/7 (although the fitness center has limited hours). The hotel is 3 stories, with the lobby, dining, and the front of the hotel on the second floor, and more rooms on the first and third floors. We stayed on the third floor. There is one elevator servicing all floors. Our room was a bit narrower than we are used to, but acceptable. The carpet had a few stains, but nothing dramatic. The bathroom is small with only a tub/shower and toilet. The sink is outside of the bathroom in the room, and is over carpeting. I am never a fan of this arrangement, as I think it is unsanitary. The sink did have a reasonably-sized granite counter around it, although not particularly large. Our pet peeve was than the bedding was dirty. There was a duvet, but no duvet cover. (Hampton washes their duvet covers every night.) This hotel had a more decorative and heavier white sheet on top of the duvet, but it was very stained and obviously unwashed. It looked like someone had bled on it, and perhaps smeared makeup from their face on it. No excuse for a cleaning crew to miss this. We requested it be changed before we went to bed. On the positive side, the mattress was very comfortable. The hotel was very quiet. I heard no external noise all night, nor did I hear room doors slamming from early risers. The HVAC system was extremely efficient, cooling the room dramatically. Although under-window mounted without an external thermostat, the fan has an always-on option to keep the sound at the same level all night, and eliminate the fan startup noise increment that can wake sleepers up. The breakfast was superior -- scrambled eggs, potatoes, waffles, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, hot biscuits and gravy (or honey!), etc. better than many Hamptons! Downsides: 1. The bedding was old and worn, with pilling and seams raveling. 2. The ironing board cover was old and kept falling of the board. 3. The hotel plumbers reversed the hot and cold water in the sink (valve cartridge installed incorrectly), causing the guest to turn on the hot water and waste a lot of water down the drain until finally trying the cold water control, which is actually the hot water, at least in room 314. I would stay at this hotel again if I were in the area.

« Very nice room with friendly staff. »

This hotel is a very nice hotel with friendly staff. The location is convenient, right off of I5 and near Salem, Denny's and Costco are nearby. The only negative with this hotel was that the air conditioning unit was a bit over-powered and I could not lower the speed of the fan. But, overall, this was a wonderful place to stay.

    4
« Nice rooms and great breakfast! »

This hotel is just off I-5. It is neat and clean. The lobby is nicely decorated and inviting. There is fresh coffee (including decaf) available 24 hours in the lobby as well. (I'll admit, they had me at coffee.) The breakfast room is right off the lobby. It has windows on 3 sides with views to the lobby, the pool, and the front of the hotel. The chow was tasty and plentiful. Chafing dish eggs are usually completely tasteless, but these were really good. When I stayed they always offered potatoes, a breakfast meat, waffles, and a few times, breakfast burritos. There were always grab-and-go options like yogurt, wrapped muffins and fruit. The pool and hot tub were small, but clean. We enjoyed them. The room was really nice. Clean and well appointed with all the usual---fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer and the like. There is a laundry room in the basement with two washers and two dryers. Each cycle is 75 cents. There is a little vending machine for detergent. The hotel is conveniently located near a supermarket, Walmart and several restaurants. Overall I really enjoyed my stay. I found the location quiet, comfortable and convenient.

« Totally a horrible experience. I was promised a credit to my account which never happened. The a/c did not work. »

I called the front desk twice to complain about the a/c the evening of arrival and no one answered the front desk. I called again and still no one answered the phone. The laboratory and the bath tub were both clogged. At checkout the manager advises me that they apologized for the inconvenience and would credit back my account. 8 days have past and they still have not credit my account. One thing I can't stand is a liar and that is what this hotel is all about!

    3
« Too many negatives, to the positives (MOLD IN ROOM) »

My disclaimer starts with this: Beggars can't be choosers when deciding on an impromptu weekend and hotels are somewhat full due to events. However.....while the stay for one night was overall OK, the room and hotel had some jarring issues for what we paid per night (the rate was was WAY too much, over $250 for 2 adults and 2 young children). For $250 a night and up, I expect a much nicer hotel (Marriot for example). Our room was in the bottom floor, which is below grade (think daylight basement). This led that level to have a very musty odor. You can smell it upon opening the door into the hallway, from the parking lot. Our room had a very musty smell, and the carpet felt odd. Not wet, but not dry. It was like a wet dog smell. The door to the hotel room wouldn't shut properly - if you let it close. It wouldn't lock auto. You had to slam the door for it to lock! The AC had to be lowered to 64* to cool the room - but it didn't feel like 64, more like 70. The shower curtain was odd, and kept falling open, leading to water on the floor. My tall husband figured it out though, it had a thing on the top to clip over...but short people can't see it or reach it - and the shower curtain rod was installed wrong as well, so it goes downhill. The shower seemed to produce only hot water (I know, I am being picky...but it was kind of unnerving 2 small children with hot water I couldn't seem to cool down) And the one thing I cannot stand: Mold spots on the ceiling, above the shower. Having said all this, the pool area was clean and maintained (though old in style), and the breakfast area was clean, and well stocked. Any employees we passed were polite and nice. The refrigerator in the room worked fine. It's very close (walking distance) to the Expo Center. The airport is great fun for the kids to watch. The parking lot was safe to park in. But mold. Come on, don't rent out rooms with MOLD!!! My youngest has asthma, and I was not happy having to watch his coughing.

This Best Western Plus was pleasantly tucked away and close to I-5/ Hwy 20. The staff were very helpful and accommodating to ensure every guest felt at home. The room was very nice and decorated with warm colors and offered a quiet restful stay. I highly recommend this hotel and it was moderately priced.

    « Dirty hotel »

Hotel grounds and room dirty - mold in the bathroom, sand in the bed, spider nests in ceiling corners, dried vomit down the back stairs. No hot water in shower, but scalding at the sink. Breakfast mediocre.

« Best in Town in Our Opinion »

When we come to Albany as a family of 5 (three teen boys) we stay here. Rooms are nice and cozy. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is included and always has several option to eat even for someone with eating restrictions. (No wheat) In the hot summer months we have to get a pet friendly room and it's never been a problem. My husband was reluctant at first to do a pet friendly room because he was afraid we would get a lesser quality dog smelly room. Has never been the case when we have needed this option. Great place to stay when in Albany!

Stayed here on our way to Mount St Helen from Crater Lake. Motel is nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is close to restaurants, gas stations and stores and has easy access to the interstate. They have and indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast offered ample choices.

    « Terrible Experience »

We reserved four rooms for four nights for a wedding months before arrival. On arrival we were put in a basement which was very noisy with no view. The management treated us very poorly and did not try to accommodate us so after one night we moved to a different Hotel which was much nicer and a better price.

« Dude, you have to stay here! »

My family and I stayed at three different hotels during our vacation over the week of the fourth of July, and this hotel was by far the best. Friendly helpful staff Clean room Soap dispensers in the shower is a great help. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is better than you'll find in many restaurants. I will absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to or through Albany.

« Great Quiet Place to Stay »

This hotel had everything you could need. Staff were so nice and friendly. Has an elevator. Rooms are large. Breakfast had a great selection with the addition of a bowl of berries prepared. Food was hot and cooked. Breakfast area was good sized to handle crowd. The room was very clean and quiet with no odors. Lots of trees around the property to give the woods atmosphere. There was a small airport behind it which we didn't know about until we left to go north on the Interstate. East access on and off the Interstate. We were attending a graduation so the rates were really jacked up like a 5 star hotel would have.

    4
« Best Bet in Albany »

This is a small town, usually reserved for people needing a break from I-5. I've stayed in a few hotels in this town, this was by far the nicest Albany has to offer. The staff is friendly and there is free breakfast in the morning. Location is right off of I-5, but on the other side of the freeway from the rest of Albany.

    4
    « Clean & quiet »

We stayed in a bottom floor room, was very clean & quiet. Breakfast was good but because it was a very busy weekend (graduation) they ran out of things quickly. The service was very friendly and quick.

    5
« Well appointed and great employees »

We came for a three day trip to celebrate our grandson's graduation. We were pleased with the hotel, it's location on a quiet street and great employees. We definitely choose this hotel when we travel in the Willamette Valley. Tip: the ice cream at BJ's is the very best!

    « Nice surprise »

This was a great hotel for the money and we got more valve than we expected. The room we stayed in was updated and very comfortable. The facility was was clean, staff helpful and professional and the breakfast in the morning was well above average. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when I come back to Grass Valley.

    5
    « Great stay »

Everything about our stay met our high expectations. The room was spacious, well maintained, and very clean. Breakfast items were fresh & tasty. A bit pricey but, during graduation time, what isn't in Albany? We're staying again in a couple of months.

    4
« Away from the Bustle »

This Best Western Plus is a little off the beaten path and comfortably away from the highway. Very pleasant staff and good, quiet night's sleep. Breakfast is well presented motel buffet style and good. I much prefer staying here than in the bustle of the next city to the north because of the quiet and surroundings. Albany does not have a large selection of places to eat in the evening but the Caloopia Brewing does have a great burger, just a little difficult to find w/0 a gps.

    « Taints Review »

We (19 of us) thought the hotel went out of their way to accommodate us. Even made us treat bags, wrapped in cellophane, with a ribbon tied around the top. They even offered the meeting room, but we declined because of health laws. ( No alcohol in meeting rooms.) So we had our cocktail parties in 3 different rooms of our group. Nobody complained.

    4
« Quiet, clean, spacious, with breakfast and Wifi too. »

We stayed in a large room that had plenty of space for the two of us with our tandem bicycle. Each morning we enjoyed the generous complimentary breakfast offered. The breakfast options seem a variety that could please almost any patron.

    « Great room »

« Excellent Staff and Great Accomodations »

Greeted so courteously and the staff did unexpected extras. Room was outstanding and commodious. Breakfast was very tasty and allowed for careful eating. Good equipment in fitness room and well-kept property.

« Not the best in Albany but not terrible »

Average hotel with above average breakfast. Rooms are dated. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms in room are tight quarters but rooms themselves were spacious. I didn't care for the sink and vanity being outside the bathroom.

Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast which included anything you wanted, hot and ready. Location ideal, easy on-off I-5. Far enough from highway to be quiet. Pool/hot tub looked nice but we didn't use it. Liked seeing the handicap lift for the pool.

    « Above average »

Friendly staff and above average rooms. Not a lot a places to eat nearby. Breakfast was super appealing or fresh. That was really the only issue I had. Overall a pleasant experience for my travel party

    « Dirty »

The sheets were dirty--as if they'd been slept in, walked on and something other..don't want to go into detail on that soiling. The clerk came and asked if I only wanted to change top sheet. I said okay--without thinking. But then found bottom sheet as dirty. Thankfully it was a two bed room. I didn't sleep in the dirty bed. The coffee pot was dirty. The hotel offered a credit on room twice. But then I got my statement and only one of the credits appeared. I had to dispute the charge. For the cost of the room, I would expect immaculate. I got some pretty disgusting dirt....and then inefficiencies on the billing. The whole stay was pretty uncomfortable....would have left but it was late and I was too tired.

    « Business and family »

Sales manager Christy, owner Sonne, and manager Danielle are always outstandingly kind and helpful! I frequent here during my business trips to the Willamette Valley. Their pool is always clean and tidy which my daughter loves playing in. Every now and then they have cookies in the evening which is a welcoming treat coming back to the room after meetings all day. The rooms are quiet and super comfortable. I will continue coming back!

    « Good Decision! »

Pleased with our stay here! A clean, modern, well furnished hotel with easy access to the I-5 without the noise. Management and staff are doing a good job! The hotel's location also allows for some exercise, being right next to a city park. Overall, an excellent value.

    « Very nice hotel »

This is a very nice hotel. We had a queen room that included a hide-a-bed sofa. The bed was firm and had lots of pillows. There was a microwave and a refrigerator with a freezer in the room. Breakfast offered lots of options including gluten-free oatmeal. Great location right off I-5. Did not hear any highway noise in our room. There is a nice fitness facility. Our only disappointment was that the pool / spa were closed for maintenance. Would have been nice to know before we booked a room.

    « A cut above »

My work requires that I spend a great deal of time in hotels. The Prairie Inn is a cut above most places in its class. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and impeccably clean. Every amenity worked as it should and wi-fi connections were rock solid reliable. Heat lamps in the shower are a special, welcome touch. There is a lovely indoor pool, open in the evenings. The real highlight: a full hot and cold breakfast (included in your room charge), featuring make-your-own waffles, sausage, home fries, eggs, pastries, breads and cereals.

« Way to noisy for me »

Ugh, this place has walls so thin you will not get a good night's sleep :( You can see daylight all around the door jam and that seems to be an easy fix for this hotel. They have had several complaints about the noise.

    5
    « Excellent hotel »

We stayed one night while attending the horse show. What I really appreciated is that the room was very clean and fresh (no odors), the bed and pillows very comfortable, the furnishings updated, and it was quiet. Those are most important to me, and it was all excellent. The low-pressure hand-held shower was the only minor thing, the rest more than made up for it. The rate seemed a little high for Albany, but again everything was great.

« Best Western is the Best Choice »

I've been to Albany many times over the last five years and I always stay with BW Plus on Price Road. The property is well maintained from the parking lot to the exercise facility. From the Housekeepers to the Desk Clerks, Customer Service is what they're all about. Very friendly group that knows their business and that's us the traveler. I've stayed down the road before, but my choice is clear in this review. The rooms are all Five Star and I have had at least twenty of them. They serve breakfast that's well stocked. During the week it's in a three hour window which they should extend. Not a complaint really, just a suggestion. Last, but now least, GREAT Location. This property is close to anything that you might want.

    5
    « Trickle Down »

General manager, Danielle Sell, exudes friendliness and keys in on being exceptionally helpful. That attitude has trickled down to her entire staff--what a nice group of folks. « Great place to stay »

I'm a repeat customer and have stayed here several times. Great location and it's quiet. Excellent staff and they make sure you are comfortable. If you are a tea drinker, like me, they have a new insert (same as the coffee bag) that goes into the coffee maker. No more tea bags. It's a great idea.

We were traveling north, it was the third day on the road and we found this wonderful haven of relaxation in Albany, OR. It is right off I-5, has an indoor pool and hot tub (saved my husband's aching back). The rooms was spacious, the bed comfortable and the area was quiet for a great nights sleep. We woke up to delicious breakfast, with fabulous coffee and were on the road by 6:30 am. This hotel goes on my travel favorites list.

    « Peace just off the I-5 »

Very friendly staff at check in. My wife was suffering from a sinus headache, and cough. The front desk person took her to the tea and coffee section, and got her some green tea with mint. Told her to take some of the packages up to our room because there was a single cup coffee and tea maker in the room. My wife was feeling much better the next day. Breakfast was delicious, a very large selection of items. How can anyone go wrong with Biscuits and Gravy on the menu.

Check in Staff went out of her way to help my wife, who was suffering with a sinus headache and sore thorat. Breakfast was excellent, and offered a large variety of items. The room was clean, and the WiFi worked well. The location of the pool and Hot tub make you feel like you are on display, as they are surrounded by windows leading into the lobby and breakfast area. The dispensers in the shower didn't seem to dispense very little product. Overall, I like this hotel. We have stayed here before, and will stay again.

« Super convenient and extremely comfortable »

We stayed overnight on a road trip from BC, Canada to California. The location was extremely convenient, just off I-5. The rooms and facilities were excellent for this type of hotel and the breakfast was very good. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, there was definitely a "pride of ownership" atmosphere. We also found it to be extremely pet friendly with a good area on site for pets and close to areas suitable for dog walking.

    « Wonderful place »

The room was wonderful, Staff exceptional and the breakfasts where out of this world. We got there the day before we where booked and they where gracious enough to get me a room and let me keep it for the 3 days. The manager and staff where so helpful. Helped with directions even printed them off for us. Thank you.

Excellent property! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The amenities including the indoor pool were well maintained. The breakfast options were varied and fresh. The facility was clean. The staff were very friendly and professional. The property was conveniently located.

« Comfortable rooms and very helpful staff »

This hotel is conveniently located off the 5 freeway near the fairgrounds. Very friendly staff! This location offers an awesome breakfast every morning. The indoor pool is a welcome addition to a lovely property. Dog friendly, there is a dog walking area to the rear of the property. Rooms are comfortable with refrigerators. Stayed for the Samoyed dog show Nationals for 8 nights and had a comfortable and relaxing experience at this hotel.

« Typical Best Western excellence »

This is your average Best Western hotel. That is not a bad thing at all, since Best Western is consistently rated very highly amongst mid-range hotels. This one is no exception: Clean, comfortable, nice hot breakfast and very accommodating staff.

    « Everything excellent »

The only reason I didn't give the Prairie Inn 5 stars is because the night manager very inconsiderately woke us up with a phone call at 11:30pm because another guest complained of loud noise and gave her our room number. This should NOT have happened! The manager should have walked to our room to be certain that this was the correct room. Then she would have known it was not us. I am an insomniac, and I have a terrible time sleeping after being awakened. I did not appreciate this call at all!

« Stayed for dog show nationals 10 days »

We stayed at the Best Western in Albany, OR for the duration of our Australian Shepherd Nationals which was about 10 nights. We were welcomed with our well behaved dogs, provided blankets for floor covering for our dog kennels to sit on in the room. The hotel was able to remove the couch from the room which gave us so much more space. The staff was always nice, friendly, and super helpful. Coffee and breakfast were available every day. The rooms were clean, parking was good, nice grass area to walk the dogs on. Libby one of the receptionists was alway available to help us with whatever we needed. Management was great at accommodating exhibitors with dogs. There were computers out in the lobby to use Internet and print for no charge. If I had to change one thing, my only suggestion would be to provide carpet runners or rugs in the front lobby when the weather is rainy. The tile in the lobby was really slick and hard for the people and dogs to walk on with wet feet. Everything else was great. A+

« Convenient, Clean, and Considerate Staff »

We stayed at Best Western Prairie Inn in Albany after experiencing a flat tire. Check in was smooth, staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was very clean and well-furnished. We checked out at 5:30 am, well before scheduled breakfast time, yet staff offered to open early for us so we could grab a bite before we left....very considerate!

There was some excitement with police at the door when I came back from dinner but the staff did a great job handeling a disruptive client and getting everything settled down. Staff is always great here

    « Albany OR »

There are not many choices in Albany Oregon but this is one of the best choices. Quite but close to Hwy 5. Food pretty close. Rooms clean. Staff very pleasant. Good parking and the lot seems to be safe. Breakfast is pretty normal for this type of hotel but no bananas. Good cost for this hotel but make sure to use any discount you may be entitled to.

    « ASCA Nationals Sep 2016 »

I would stay here again. The hotel is clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The bed was extremely comfortable and the A/C worked well. The only issue I had was some difficulty connecting to the wifi.

« Great stay with my dogs »

I stayed for nine days at the Best Western Prairie Inn for Australian Shepherd Nationals. The hotel staff from top to bottom were friendly and helpful. The room was large and very comfortable, and it was easy to take the dogs outside to go potty with a large area and bags and waste disposal very convenient.

« Very nice hotel to stay with your family and pets! »

This was the best stay with dogs in any hotel so far and the GM and all the staffs are very nice and customer friendly. Everyone was going out of their way to help feel our stay more comfortable including the dogs. I wish all other BW hotel management should learn the best practices from this one. I would like to stay here again with my family and dogs in future. Hope this BW will get an award again for their excellence and quality of service this year and many years to come!! Keep it up please and good luck!!!

    « Excellent Stay! »

While attending the 2016 ASCA Dog Nationals, the staff at the Best Western Plus in Albany were the greatest! Very friendly, accommodating, helpful with finding restaurants and dog friendly. We show our Australian Shepherds and love it when our dogs are treated as part of our family. The breakfasts were nice and the rooms and maid service were immaculate. We would highly recommend this hotel and we will stay there when we are in Albany again!

« Nice, but what can you do? »

The hotel is very nice - beautiful lobby and room. Spacious, clean rooms and friendly staff. Even met some friendly travelers also availing themselves of the guest laundry room (2 washers and dryers). We have stayed before and enjoy the location for our family visit. On night one upon returning from our dinner a dog was barking non-stop in the room next door. We notified the front desk and after a half hour or so they were able to reach the guests and asked them to return immediately and not to leave their dog in the room alone. On another night the electricity went out. Nothing the hotel could do because whatever caused the outage was area wide. Nothing else to do but sleep. The food in the breakfast room was subpar. Again, normally we enjoy our stay. Because we usually stay at least once a year, the management offered us a free night.

« First Time at BW Plus Prairie Inn, Albany, OR »

I decided to stop short of my destination and saw the sign for this Best Western on the freeway. i was a bit hesitant stopping in, what I thought, was a smaller City, but decided to check this BW out. From the moment you drive up, this place sparkles. The outside is inviting and clean. the lobby is large with a comfortable sitting area. For swimming and workout lovers, their rec center is open 24/7, which is a huge deal for a lot of travelers. My room was large, had a couch/sitting area, and was clean and comfortable. My favorite was the huge selection on the TV. Most hotels have a few channels. This BW had them all, plus some. All my favorite channels and much more. The breakfast is standard, what a person comes to expect from these hotel chains, but good to start the day. This Best Western is conveniently located next to I-5. Overall, if, on my travels north, I need to stop over, this is is place I will select. I appreciate the friendly staff and the great job they are doing in managing this hotel.

« Best Western Prarie inn albany oregon is the BEST, always stay there. »

Friendly staff, nice grounds, nice rooms, nice indoor pool, nice breakfast, just great everything, always the BEST!!! I would never consider to stay somewhere else. Even animal friendly even though I have not brought my animal. Great rates too.

« Great stay and interesting sites. »

Service was great and the room was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and wanted to be sure your needs were being met. I would stay there again when in the area. We were helped with directions to great places to eat and what to see. The work on building the Albany Carousel was most interesting.

« Great night staff (Libby) »

Libby on 3-11 was amazing very personable with all guests ( she did apologize for the fact that I made a request for 3 mini bags of m&m,s which really was just to see if ever hotel was like the one I work for)!! Breakfast my son wanted an apple but they were all rotten ( which I took up to the manager at the front desk she said she'll talk to the breakfast staff)!! The apple juice was out all morning from 6:30am till 9:45am! The floor was a mess, my little one tripped on the metal air vent cover that really need to be replaced because they are all broken and a tripping hazard (they are bent and caved into vent). I left my glasses in the room I called and they said they weren't sure ,took my name and number but still no call back!? Called 3 time and no answer (I'm sure they got busy but still)....I give up!

    « Most convenient »

This was the second time we stayed here for the Albany art and air festival that's held the 4th weekend in August. We stayed for 2 nights to be able to go to the festivities that started on the Friday night. It's so easy to walk across the street where they launch the hot air balloons in the morning. Danielle, the general manager, went out of her way to make sure we got the perfect room for my husbands birthday. He was actually able to see all the balloons float by from our room while drinking his coffee. He's not a morning person and prefers to watch them that way, where I go across the street to see them up close.

    « wonderful »

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the pool was great and breakfast was delicious! There was an airshow going on next door which was a sweet surprise.

« Best Best Western we've stayed at yet! »

Flawless stay from check-in to check-out. The hotel is fresh, clean, well served and reasonably priced. We'll definitely stay here again -- even though the hot breakfast doesn't include bacon and the WiFi login can be a bit clumsy on a mobile device. We came for the Hot Air Balloon Festival -- which launches from a field diagonally opposite the hotel.

    5
    « Top notch »

Pleasant, service-oriented staff, well done complete breakfast, served at a convenient time. We found the room to be very clean and spacious, with easy access to the exits. The efficient booking and check in-out completed this great experience. I highly recommend!

« Trip to Abbotsford, BC »

Our room was quite comfortable on the second floor. Sadly, the luggage cart broke and in order to take our luggage down we had to wait for the maintenance man to repair it which delayed our trip. We almost did not get to Portland on time. Other than that our stay was very nice.

« American Legion Riders motorcycle event. »

I have stayed at this Best Western in the past. I like this property. I was disappointed that the "special rate" our group was provided was no more than the standard advertised AAA rate. The room I stayed in may have the start of mold growing on the ceiling above the bath tub,

    4
    « Nice »

We stayed here with a American Legion Riders group and we had a very enjoyable time. The rooms were nice and clean, the only issue was the soap dispensers. They are virtually worthless. They either need to replace them with ones that actually work, or just go to bar soap. The staff was very accommodating when our hand soap dispenser did not work. We would stay here again if in the area.

    4
« Great Value for Money! »

Apart from some old Oreo cookies under one of the bed skirts, the room was immaculate. Breakfast was blah. Not much choice for gluten free guests. Eggs were cold, potatoes were soggy and tables were sticky. Best Western must know that Yoplait yogurts are not suitable for vegetarians surely? Needless to say we didn't hang around. Hot tub jets were out of order and swimming pool was very cold. Overall good value for money, but prepare to eat out at meal times.

    4
    « Meets value expectations »

Nice place. Will stay again, if in the area. I paid a little more then I had too but got a lot more value. Only negatives would be, a VERY loose toilet seat and jetted tub didn't really work and VERY loud.

    5
    « Quality »

I have stayed at Best Westerns often in the past. And Prairie Inn is right up there with the rest of them with as far as speedy check in, the quality of the room, the cleanliness, and the friendly staff. Prairie Inn is easily accessible to the freeway, and the beauty of that is you don't have any road noise from the traffic. I will continue to stay as Best Westerns if they are in the area when I need a room, You an always depend on them for quality no matter which one you stay at.

    5
« Great staff and rooms »

Best of all are the Staff! The location is away from highway noise and secluded. Lobby with lots of chairs for conversation or casual meeting. I felt secure with restricted access to the hotel. The rooms are quiet, good AC, hot water with good pressure, microwave and refrigerator, coffee maker, very clean. Lots of comfortable pillows. Ice machine, elevator, meeting room, shaded parking, great breakfast with lots of selections.

    5
    « Exceptional Hospitality »

The only negative I can think of was that there was a music festival happening during my stay, so we didn't get a discount on the room rate. Ordinarily they offer AARP, AAA, military and other discounts But the place is tastefully decorated, clean and all rooms are accessed through a locked corridor (secure). Full breakfast is provided and the menu varies a little throughout the week.

    « Good stay! »

We are not typically Best Westerners, but we will be adding them to our list of stays. Hotel was clean, room comfy ( and we were in the "basement"- not really, on the bottom floor!) I was worried when we first walked in our room that it was not cool. But I turned on the AC and it was GREAT!!!! My only complaint- the bacon at breakfast was not crispy enough to my liking. Otherwise, good stay. Thanks, Best Western, for a wonderful night's sleep.

« Excellent service & very nice facility »

Libby at the front desk was extremely appreciated. When no one else could find my left behind sporty blouse top, she did. Her attitude, helpfulness, professionalism & great spirit was excellent. They have a nice indoor pool and jacuzzi & I noticed each day there that the proper chemical level was measured. The breakfast room was spacious, clean, and there were many options with real food. The lobby was immaculate. They provided water bottles & trail mix for our bicycle riding companions. I believe they really went the extra mile for us. The beds & pillows are very comfortable.

« BW Prairie Inn's service was over the top! »

Our 14 cyclists stopped twice while biking the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway both ways. The staff went out of the way to accommodate us--early check in, quick check out, treats upon arrival and bikes in the room. We will definitely stay again.

    « Nice restful hotel »

This hotel was nice and quiet most days. We were here for a few weeks on business. Our room was very spacious and the king bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was tasty with very many options including hot food and oatmeal bar. The front desk staff were very gracious and the housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient. Indoor pool and spa if you are so inclined to take a dip. Big parking lot so there is plenty of parking.

    « Excellent Hotel »

This Hotel has very nice clean rooms. I really liked the fact that the rooms were very quiet. I heard no noise from the rooms next to ours. We had great help with our reservations, good breakfast and much more. We attended a dog show in Albany, Oregon and many of the exhibitors stayed at this Hotel because it was so nice and allowed their dogs. This was my 2nd stay and I will stay here everytime I visit Albany, Oregon. I will recommend this Hotel to anyone I know who is going to be staying in Albany, Oregon.

« Best Western Plus Prairie Inn Albany - You'll be glad you did »

The hotel is a gem. The exterior invites you in, the entrance has beautiful landscaping. You know immediately that all the other details are taken care of, and they are. The people Best Western has are the most welcoming we have met along our travels, make you feel like they have been waiting for you all day. The Hotel looks brand new, the room was clean, well maintained, the refrig was quiet, the A/C worked right. Easy on/off access to I-5, store close by, and several choices for food, or delivery. Housekeeping is fabulous.

    « easy access to I5 »

My go to hotel when I work in the Albany area. Right on Highway 20, just off I5, make it very convenient location. Very close to historic downtown Albany, with many good restaurants in the area. Nice pool and also close to the Expo/Fair grounds. I have found the staff friendly and helpful.

    « Last minute booking »

My husband and I were driving to Seattle from California, and we were driving on memorial day weekend. We were just driving as far as we could each day with the kids, and when it was time to find a hotel we couldn't find one. We drove and drove until finally we found this one. It was comfortable, clean, and everyone was super nice! Breakfast was wonderful in the morning. When we do the drive again, I will definitely stay here again.

    « Very nice stay!!! »

Our room was VERY clean and quite accommodating. The front check in person was in training and I was impressed by how her trainer was walking her through our reservation with complete professionalism not only for her coworker but for us as well! The beds were quite comfortable and we had a great night's sleep! VERY convenience location right off freeway, but just enough distance so you can't hear any road traffic! Well done, Best Western & staff!

    « Overall »

Price was excellent for value received. convenient to major highway. Will be looking to consider Best Western facilities with future trips. Prices of hotel stay today is costly and Best Westerns outside of major locations or high end hotels are very attrative.

« We stayed during the week and it was very quiet and the staff is first rate »

We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past 2 years and find the staff very accommodating. Danielle( Front desk) has always gone above and beyond and has done her best to remedy any situation that might arise(obnoxious guests, room issues which have always been minor etc..) This is where we will stay on our next visit to Albany

    5
« Most of the staff is wonderful. There was only one person who wrecked my evening one night. »

The front desk lady named Pricilla (night shift) was rude. I brought in my microwave popcorn, and pretzels from the car, and couldn't dump my son's slushy in the outside garbage because it was overflowing, so I dumped it in the kitchen garbage, because the doors were open. She gave me a dirty look, like I was stealing, so I told her it was my own food. She then asked me then why was I in the kitchen? I told her I was dumping my son's empty drink in the garbage because the outside garbage was overflowing. She then tried to cover up her rudeness, by trying to say I shouldn't be in the kitchen because I could trip with the lights off. If she really cared about my safety she would have addressed that issue first! Then she really showed her true colors when she said (as I was trying to go to bed at midnight from a long day at the baseball tourney in Eugene), that she is the night kitchen auditor! Wow! Back to thinking I was stealing! ;( She is not a nice person!

« The Unusual in Best Western Quality »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Prairie Inn on our return family vacation to Washington State. This Best Western was easily to access from the I-5 Freeway. The staff was welcoming, friendly and professional. As usual for Best Western, the room were clean, functional and most comfortable.

    « It's what I expect of a BW Plus »

We only stayed one night and all of our expectations were met. The hotel is easy to find (just off the freeway). Check-in was friendly and efficient. The room was average to above. The breakfast was good. Check-out was quick and accurate. No surprises or issues. We did not see much of Albany, but the hotel appears to be in an OK area.

    5
    « Beautiful hotel »

This hotel was conveniently located right off the interstate but still quiet. It was decorated beautifully and we had a very unique but well laid out room. Had all the amenities you could imagine. Will surely stay here again when passing through this area!

    5
    « Very comfortable stay. »

The pioneer Inn was everything we've come to expect with best Western plus. Comfort and spacious rooms. The only issue we had was with the dryer in the laundry room. It was a little slow to dry but was mainly due to the long line to make use of it.

    5
    « A Comfortable Stay »

This is a very nice property. The staff personnel were all so very friendly and accommodating. They made us feel really welcome. The room was clean, neat and comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate and the shower was a welcome treat. the very comfortable bed made for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was nicely done, even though it was the standard fare one finds these days. The presentation was good, the selection was varied, and the offerings were warm and pleasant.

    2
« Weekend stay with no air conditioning »

The room was clean. It was nothing special, but adequate. The air conditioner did not work. The lady at the front desk said we were turning the air conditioner too low, and needed to turn it up. We tried that, and it did not work. It had to be well over 80 degrees in the room, we were in shorts and tank tops and still sweating. We finally opened the window, and after sunset, it cooled off. The maid service was excellent. The pool is WAY smaller than the pictures would indicate. The hair conditioner dispenser was full, but did not work.

    5
    « Clean & quiet »

Lovely spot for a good night's rest. Close to restaurants and stores. A few more dining tables would be helpful for breakfast as well as table service--clean up and assistance from staff would be ideal

    « Lovely place ! »

Libby at the front desk is awesome ! When we check-in on Friday afternoon it was very quick and efficient staff ( Libby & a young man) The young lady that works in the breakfast area is very sweet, she greeted all of the guests as they came into the room and told everyone to have a great day as they were leaving that area. The housekeepers were very nice and professional too asking if you needed anything else. We really enjoyed our time there.

« Hard beds, poor AC. »

Despite confirming our arrival time 40 pior to arrival, the AC had not been turned on and the room was over 100 degrees F. when we arrived. It took nearly an 3 hours to get the room to a comfortable temperature, by which time I had a migraine. As for the bed, I've slept on softer boards.

    « Wasn't bad - but I would not call it a BW Plus »

The picture of the hotel is a lot more impressive than the property. Our first impression was the smell of fertilizer as we got out of our car. The clerk was friendly, but was indifferent to the two teens that were literally running up and down the halls. The spa pump had been knocked out by a power shortage. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The handicap grab bar was between the door frame and the shower - weird. The coffee was good, but the scrambled eggs were awful - grainy and rubbery. The bacon was limp soggy and greasy. I would call this a decent Best Western - despite the complaints. But I have stayed at several Plus properties and this one does not measure up.

    4
« Nice place to stay »

Easy to find, friendly staff that was very helpful and making sure your stay was a good experience. The rooms were clean and even had the extra pillows that were requested when making the on-line reservations. Hot or cold breakfast included which was ok. Only reason for 4 stars instead of five stars is you could hear the people in the next room and the dog barking.

« A review of Best Western Motels as we made our first travel by car to California and home via Oregon. »

Best Western Motels are a welcoming organization that I find consistent with each town they are located. Starting with the desk clerk and continuing with services and final stop at the breakfast before taking off for the next community and next Best Western.

« Nice Hotel; Very Clean and Quiet Room »

This is one of the nicer BW properties that we have stayed at. We stayed here overnight after one of the Oregon State night football games in Corvallis. Our room was very clean and quiet. It had a very comfortable queen bed. We liked the separate sink from the rest of the bathroom. Our room and the lobby were nicely decorated. There were limited outlets available for recharging our phones and iPad. It had a nice breakfast room next to indoor pool. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of hot and cold items. The location was very convenient.

Friendly and helpful staff at check in. Offered on the go breakfast since we were leaving before breakfast opened. Perfect location if attending the Linn County Expo Center. Great value compared to other local hotels.

« cold pool and hot tub »

over all very good hotel, very clean wonderful breakfast, lots to eat and good location. There was no way to get the pool and hot tub heated for which we were very disappointed. We would stay at this hotel again if everything was in working order.

    « Always Clean »

The best hotel to stay at in the Albany area. Easy check in. Always clean, breakfast is good, wifi in rooms work great. Quiet location and I like that check out is at noon. Breakfast hour should be extended for those who like to sleep in.

« Hotel stay for business »

Staying out of town for business and Best Western was one of many choices in the area. The pricing was affordable, the staff was pleasant and helpful and the room was clean. The Hotel was moderately noisy but not more than what you would typically experience.

« Doors slamming, pool empty »

Doors started slamming, a toddler screaming and a little dog yapping at 6:00 on a Sunday morning! The owner got the dog under control, but the doors slamming was a constant problem. (Not only the noise, but the shaking of the walls & bed when the doors slammed. Also, our room door rattled when someone else slammed their door.) The parents didn't make the toddler be quiet, not even in the hall outside my door. I gave up trying to sleep. The whole point of paying $100 for a hotel was to not have to get up so early. For the amount of sleep I got, I could have stayed home, set my alarm for 6:00 am, and arrived at my destination on time. On the plus side, the shower was nice and hot, and the room was clean. The refrigerator had a separate freezer compartment. Oh, if you're looking forward to relaxing in the pool or hottub, forget it. They are both empty. Honestly, even though the room was nice, I probably would not stay here again.

« Awesome stay, although only one night »

The hotel is appealing, and the check in staff were most helpful & courteous. Rooms are clean, well appointed and quiet. The breakfast is outstanding. You couldn't want for anymore items. Definitely would stay again.

    « Delightful experience »

We really enjoyed staying at this excellent Best Western. We were warmly greeted and given a room perfect for us -- on the first floor near the lobby and breakfast area (my husband has had difficulty walking long distances recently). Our room overlooked a lovely grass area making us feel that we were not in the middle of a big city. The breakfast was superb - hot dishes and yogurts in a lovely separate room. We'll definitely be back.

    4
    « Baseball weekend »

Hotel is easily accessible from the freeway. It is in good condition and well appointed. Rooms are suitably large and comfortable. Only complaint would be they need brighter lites but that is a minor item. The breakfast was significantly better than normal. Selection was better and there was hot options. Phone number needs correcting as a party trying to reach us got the Super 8 motel when dialing.

« Albany, OR Best Western »

Nothing much to say about this location. It is close to the highway, Walmart, and a shopping mall. It is good for people who need shelter for the night. Not too fond of the staff at this location. That is all I have to say.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Easy to get to off I-5. Well maintained property, quiet, with great decor. Room was furnished with nice furniture and bed was just the correct firmness. There is an indoor swimming pool. Breakfast had waffles, hot potatoes, and scrambled eggs along with dry cereals.,

« Very clean and welcoming »

We stayed one night while in Albany for a wedding. Having never stayed in Albany before, I relied on Trip Advisor reviews and am so glad I did. This hotel is extremely clean and well-kept, the staff are friendly, and our room was very comfortable. The included breakfast was good -- scrambled eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, waffles, pastries, and more. We will definitely stay again if we're ever in Albany in the future.

    « Review »

Always clean and great breakfast. Lots of room to park my semi truck and trailer. Close proximity to restaurants, coffee, and shopping. Price of room gives a good value for the area. I'm never awaken from the outside hotel noise.

    « A Good Place to Stay »

Except for noisy neighbors (some people are unaware of their noise having an impact on others who seek rest),which are not the fault of hotel staff, this hotel is a nice place to stay. Staff are friendly and very helpful. And this hotel has a compliment of amenities that add a touch of pleasure to your stay.

    « Clean and Friendly »

I've stayed at this motel twice and although it isn't the newest building it is kept extremely clean. For a stop while traveling or visiting Corvallis area it is a great, affordable place. The staff has always been very friendly and efficient.

« nice hotel and good location to the fair grounds »

We had a pleasant stay here. room was clean, paper cups for coffee. breakfast was good a very helpful attendant helping there. I had asked for an upper floor room, when I checked in at 3 p.m. and they did not try to honor that request.

    4
    « Dog friendly »

We were in town for the annual dog show in Albany. Best Western allowed pets and has reasonable pet policies....good breakfast (the red potatoes had a bit too much oregano) .....clean rooms.........nice place to stay! We'll go back again next year.

    5
    « Very comfortable staay »

The room was clean and well appointed. Good breakfast, and most importantly the front desk people are friendly and helpful. Very hospitable! They were very willing to help with restaurant suggestions and information about the area.

    5
    « Fabulous stay »

Wound up at the Best Western Plus Prairie Inn after a very bad experience at a different hotel. Such a welcome difference - professional friendly check in, lively room that was spotless, and staff that went the extra mile to make my stay the best! Won't stay anywhere else when visiting Albany Oregon!

« Great place to stay »

This is a great Best Western Hotel. It's away from the freeway and is very quiet and clean. Great staff who are helpful, courteous and professional. We have stayed here before and will continue to use this BW when we are in the area. the Cascade Grill is just a few blocks away and is a great place for dinner.

« Awesome Stay in Well Appointed Room »

The Best Western Plus Prairie Inn. Is modern, clean and close to the fairgrounds and a great park. The room was well designed to feel comfortable and spacious. The motel is close to the interstate highway but we didn't hear any traffic noise. We did hear occasional noises through the door early in the evening but after that it was exceptionally quiet. The breakfast had a good assortment of options from waffles to oatmeal. There is lots of parking. We have stayed here for about seven years and the motel is kept updated and gotten better over the years. We love it.

    5
« Very clean and friendly! »

Great food for breakfast, fast service when we needed pool towels or other help, good location near park and fairgrounds. Friendly and helpful staff but not intrusive. We have stayed here every year for the last 4 years and prefer it over other hotels where we have stayed in Albany, OR. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

    4
« Lovely open space around the hotel for walking! »

Great location off the freeway with lovely open spaces and park next to it. Sadly we had some very noisy tenants above us and next to us; rooms don't seem well insulated. Wonderful breakfast options but lacking fruit, fresh or otherwise. Would make a great stop for families with children as the pool is centrally located.

    5
    « BEST Western indeed! »

A lovely place to stay! Very close to fairgrounds if you're here for an event at that venue. Within walking distance of a large, beautiful park. If you have a dog with you, they proved a large potty area, complete with poop bags. The included breakfast is an added plus.

    « Albany Oregon »

The Albany, Or. Best Western was nice. Clean, friendly and affordable. Everyone on the staff was very helpful and friendly. We would stay there again. Breakfast was very good and they (staff) was always making sure that there was plenty of food and the counters were clean for the next customer.

    5
    « Fantastic team »

The building is inviting and clean, the rooms are well cared for...but the staff is why we will return each time. From start to finish, they are all fun, friendly, and very good at what they do. The complimentary breakfast is way more than most hotels...lots and lots of little extras that really add up!

    5
    « Great Experience! »

Very capable front desk staff. Room meticulous. Complimentary breakfast appropriate and on site staff were there to ensure food supplies maintained and dining area very presentable. Walmart and Home Depot only few blocks away as were restaurants.

    « Excellent !!!!!! »

This was my second year staying at the Best Western Plus Prairie Inn and it was just wonderful. The staff is so accommodating, I'm looking forward to next year. I really enjoy Albany, the Northwest Horse Expo and Frankie's :)

    5
« Home away from home »

My room was very clean, quiet, with TV, internet connection, fridge, microwave and a very comfortable bed with lots of pillows. The air conditioner and heating worked great AND, I could open the window for fresh air. I enjoyed the option of taking a shower or bath. There is a pool, hot tub, and exercise room. The breakfast was delicious with lots of hot options plus yogurt, fresh fruit. In the evening their is hot soup with fresh bread. The staff are extremely welcoming and protective. My car alarm went off in the middle of the night and the staff went outside and physically walked around it. The location is not that far from the freeway but far enough that it is not noisy.

    5
    « I really like this hotel! »

I'm regularly in Albany for dog shows and usually stay at a hotel right next to the fairgrounds, but booked this one instead on my last trip. Really glad I did! Very nice place, clean, comfortable, and the people were friendly and helpful. Will stay here from now on when I'm in Albany :)

    5
« A very pleasant place to stay »

We have stayed at the BW Prairie Inn a number of times and each time have found it to be a very pleasant place to overnight. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The pool/hot tub is a pleasant place to unwind after a long day of travel. Another pleasant surprise is the free soup available in late afternoon, and the excellent breakfast is a great send-off for another day's travel.

    4
    « A convenient, reliable hotel. »

I've stayed twice at this Best Western property, both either going to or returning from Southern California. It's conveniently located about 8 hours from both Vancouver, BC, and mid California. The staff are very helpful (although the late night front desk person seemed a little disinterested last visit). The rooms are fairly large and well laid out. One quirk is that the desk/lobby, etc, are actually located on the 'second' floor. If one asks for a 'first floor room', you actually take an elevator down to it. The full buffet breakfast was more than adequate. I will most likely stay there again.

    3
    « Nice Hotel »

We enjoyed our stay. I only complain that they charge an additional $20 pet fee. I'd rather stay in the truly pet friendly hotels that don't charge extra for pets. Hotel rooms are clean & very comfortable. Best part about the hotel. Breakfast is like most hotels. Waffle maker, biscuits & gravy, stale pastries. The eggs are those watered down powder mix.

    1
« Looking for stinky and loud »

Then look no further. The walls are paper thin and there is a pungent aroma to enjoy throughout your stay. This is an old tired Inn. The breakfast was below par - the "coffee" tasted like it was made from grounds that had been used before. I chose this place because it was well rated - it shouldn't be.

« Excellent location and facilities, very friendly staff. »

Room was recently remodeled and very nice. The entire facility was up to date. The gym and breakfast area very clean. Breakfast had a wide variety of food and skim milk - Thank You. Great location and parking too.

    4
« Large, clean room, but a bit noisy. »

We were on the first floor in room 211. The room was large and included a desk, comfortable desk chair and a club chair w/ottoman. It would have been nice to have a second club chair, and there is room for one. The linens and towels were of good quality. The breakfast was standard fare (eggs, sausage/bacon, potatoes, cereal, etc.). The only downside of our stay was hearing very loud noise from the shower above us as well as an active group moving around upstairs. I would suggest asking for a second floor room.

    4
    « Accommodating with groups »

I needed a hotel for my large group, and the sales director gave us reasonable rates in addition to all information needed to coordinate the trip. She responded quickly and was patient with my questions. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Additionally, the temperature was consistent. I am a fan of the shampoo, etc "dispensers" in the shower and near the sink. I didn't see the soap by the sink at first though!! I did not give 5 stars for the review because the indoor pool was cold (and supposed to be heated) and some breakfast items could have been hotter. The free wifi was difficult to connect to with my phone. Other that that, it was a wonderful stay!

« Best Western Is the Best Place to Stay in Albany Oregon »

First of all we did not plan on staying in Albany. But with the rain here in the Great Northwet and a long day on the road couldn't drive any farther! Best Western is always our first choice and didn't look like there were any good choices in Salem. This property was not much more than the lesser brands and a really great breakfast was included! No extra charge. Plus they have hot soup on some nights! WOW! Pool and jacuzzi open 24 hours! Great staff, Kudos to Libby and Danielle!

    5
« The Best Choice for a Hotel in Albany »

We have stayed at quite a few Best Western properties on the West Coast and would have to rate this one as one of the BEST! Staff was excellent, Room very nice and clean. Breakfast was the best we have encountered and that's saying a lot. BW always puts out a good spread but the mini waffle maker, blueberry waffle mix, and changing meats by day for the breakfast were pretty awesome. Some days they have evening soup! Felt like home! A great place to stay!

    4
    « Clean and comfortable. »

A friendly staff. Great free breakfast. The negative was it has a very small bathroom and only one small sink not in the bathroom. Light bulb was burned out on the lamp in the corner and the front desk did not answer when we tried to call.

    4
« Good rest after a long trip »

Goof service, good bed. good rest. Doesn't get any better than that. Price is very hard to find in the dark. If you are from a city and used to more light at night rely on your GPS to make the turn after crossing I5 coming from the north or coming up the ramp from the south.

    5
« Perfect place to stay for the Horse shows »

It had been a very long day so the fast and easy check in was a huge plus. Clean room, big bed, warm shower. That's all I need after a long day on my feet! Plus being apart of the horse show , they give us a discount. Which is great because your really only there long enough to sleep.

    5
« perfect place to stay near Linn County Expo »

I stayed here while attending a four-day agility trial in Albany. I was completely comfortable, loved the walking paths and sidewalks and parks, and will definitely stay there any time I am in Albany. My family used the pool and hot-tub, and morning breakfast was a huge plus. It was dog friendly, clean, and convenient to the fairgrounds and nearby parks. Highly recommend it. Super friendly staff, all day long.

    5
    « always great »

I've stayed here many many times. They're always nice, great, helpful, friendly, foods hot, yummy soup for dinner, great nights sleep, i'll be staying there again. They are always professional and respectful.

« Great Place to Stay in Albany »

The facility exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet given how close to the Freeway it is. The Breakfast was not just coffee and muffins but a full spread with eggs and sausage and make your own waffles in addition to biscuits and gravy. I NEVER write reviews let alone glowing reviews and I would definitely stay here again even if it was for a Beaver game in Corvallis!

    5
« Convenient with nice amenities »

Stayed here to meet up with my son coming by bus from UO/Eugene and family in Corvallis. Convenient location close to I-5, train/but station, lots of restaurants & retail stores. Loved the whirlpool. Reasonable, clean and quiet accommodations; would definitely return.

    « Pleasant Surprise »

I've driven past the BW Prairie Inn hundreds of times but never had the need to stay there until this past Tuesday. Very, very nice room. Although you can see I-5 from the hotel the rooms are extremely quiet. Check-in was a very pleasant experience. The lady at the desk even noticed that I had not signed up for the latest promotion and signed me up! Getting back to the room, it was roomy, exceptionally clean, and very nicely appointed. Trying to get the Direct TV to work was kind of annoying. The bed was excellent. I usually wake up a couple of times during the night when on the road, but I slept the entire night through. The usual fare was offered for the breakfast, but was well-displayed and again, the staff was friendly and helpful. Even the coffee was good.

    4
    « Pleasant and Pleasing! »

My room was quite nice, very clean, and well laid-out with a modern design! The room rate is a steal! While the location in Albany might seem out of the way, it is perfect for trips to Corvallis, Eugene, Salem, and Portland. I would definitely recommend the Best Western Plus to families visiting colleges and universities such as Oregon State, Oregon, Lewis and Clark, Reed, Willamette, Western Oregon, Portland State, Corban, and other universities and colleges in the area. A nice breakfast is served each morning and there is a refrigerator and microwave in each room for quick shopping trips and leftovers! Do yourself a favor and stay at the BWP Prairie Inn!

We stayed here with our two 16 & under girls volleyball teams over the Marten Luther King weekend. This was our second year staying here and just like the first time the experience was fantastic. « Great hotel! »

Great rooms, great location, and awesome staff. Took a college choir here and was given the royal treatment. The group sales manager rolled out the red carpet for us and exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend this property. Thanks Christy and your staff!

    « Well pleased! »

While staying at the hotel we experienced excellent customer service from all of the staff members we encountered starting with the front desk, breakfast and cleaning staff. All were exceptional nice and helpful. Our room as well as the other parts of the hotel was very clean (noticeably). We just returned from a trip to NYC in December and stayed at the Marriott Marquis and this hotel offered better amenities, was cleaner and had better customer service. The complimentary breakfast, all day coffee service and hot soup hour in the evening were all welcoming amenities that made our stay wonderful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BEST WESTERN PLUS PRAIRIE INN. I will choose Best Western again based on this stay.

    « Great Stay »

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We were staying for business so it was nice to have an indoor pool and work out facility to stay in our routine. The Inn was quiet and comfortable. We did not have any trouble connecting to internet which was important for us to stay on track. Overall a very pleasant stay.

    « Pleasant surprise! »

My wife and I stayed in the Presidential Suite at this hotel for one night just for fun. The hotel has one of these suites, and we were happy to discover it. The hotel itself went through a $1M renovation in 2012, and it shows. I don't often go out to that part of town where most of the hotel brands are located, and I wasn't familiar at all with this property - but having seen it, I think it has to be the nicest looking and most up-to-date hotel in Albany (maybe tied with Comfort Suites, which is also really nice). Staff is also super friendly, starting with the desk clerk I spoke with in making the reservation, and going all the way through check-in and departure. Our room was very clean, and huge! The highlight of the continental breakfast was the waffle station. I didn't try it, but judging from the line, it was really popular with guests. There were no other hot entree options (some hotels also do scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns, for example). But guests wanting a more substantial breakfast can drive about a quarter of a mile to The Original Breakfast, a fantastic locally owned breakfast restaurant. Overall, very impressed! We would stay here again.

    4
« Good choice in Albany »

Choices in Albany are pretty limited but we were pleasantly surprised by this place. Clean rooms, quiet, friendly staff, pet friendly, easy freeway access and the price was great! If you take the time and do a quick search for a good rate you'll get a good value for your money.

    « New Years Weekend »

Very clean, very comfortable, super nice staff, great breakfast, nice pool and hot tub. They even provided rubber bands to put on our shoes because it was icey outside. They provided luggage carts, they have an ice machine and vending machines and really good coffee brewing in the lobby all day.

    5
    « Great Accomodations »

I liked the direct link up with Novaks - one of our favorite restaurants. Receptionist became aware we did not know they moved from the Heritage shopping mall and told us how to get to the new location. Comfortable bed, very clean room, and good selection for breakfast.

    « Good stay - Thanks! »

Decent hotel close to enough restaurants and gas stations. Facility was well kept even though it is older. All staff were insanely friendly - felt like we were with family! Pool area was nice and front lobby amenities (coffee, soup, munchies, etc.) very nice. Congrats to the breakfast room attendant. Hotel was fully booked with high school athletic teams attending a regional meet. If you have raised and fed a teenager, enough said. Imagine about 20 of them hitting the room all at once (i.e. locusts in a wheat field event). Even thought they pretty well trashed the room, she constantly keep the area clean and well clean throughout the whole order. She could have just resigned herself to wait until it was all over, but she didn't want anyone to feel put out and went at it like a true professional - outstanding effort!

    5
« Exceptional Team; great hotel »

I booked this hotel through the internet but apparently the booking went through many sub-vendors so the hotel could not easily make changes to the itinerary when I needed it but the Manager and the staff were exceptionally nice and professional. It was very cold and rainy and the hotel has soup in the evening which I missed by a few minutes due to a being on a call. The front desk lady actually opened it back up and warmed up soup for me seeing that I was too tired and it was icy out and not easy to get out. The manager actually alerted me to icy roads as I left prematurely the next day even though they had lost an additional day of revenue from me. I would stay here everytime I am in the area; nice clean hotel with exceptional staff who truly cares about their customers. This is how hotels should be! Travel is taxing, but not when you are treated like these guys treat you.

This Property displays a true Pride of Ownership. The friendly, efficient people they employee can not do enough for you. We've stayed here on 3 separate occasions and have enjoyed each one. The rooms are large and quiet and the staff is exceptional. They're friendly, professional and very helpful. And they accept dogs if you reserve in advance,.

We fly to Oregon often since most of our relatives live there. We always stay at this hotel. The staff is so friendly they make us feel like family when we stay. « Very profession and clean »

The hotel staff are very professional and had my room reservation ready for my check-in. I stayed for 4 days and every day when I returned my room was very clean. The continental breakfast starts at 6:00 am, but it was frequently ready before 6:00 am and that allowed me to get out early and start my day! Michael

    « It's the Thanksgiving Holidays »

My family has stayed at this BW Plus property before so we knew what to expect. Any lodge can have a clean bathroom or plenty of parking. What we like about Prairie Inn is the room are modern, rooms are furnished with some thought given to décor. This unit is in a GREAT location, near freeway and shopping. Their breakfast buffet is always full and fresh. Though they need to keep an eye on the freshness of the apples and oranges. Sorry, but a lot of folks don't choose these but I do and yours were very fresh. But everything else was excellent. From the front desk to the kitchen, to the ladies with sheets, no one could be more friendly and accommodating. The next time I'm in Albany, Oregon you will find me a BW Plus!

« Great place to stay »

I've stayed here on prior occasions. Great friendly staff. It's clean, quiet and not too far from the main part of town. The breakfast is good and is a little better than the average BW breakfast.I will continue to use this hotel when I'm in the area.

« Comfortable bed, quiet and clean room »

This hotel had a comfortable bed. A quiet and clean room with a great breakfast for a Best Western. The staff was helpful. The only downside was that several of the exercise equipment was not functioning which needs to be addressed.

« Great Location and great breakfast »

Great location, clean property and rooms, and definitely some of the most friendly staff I have seen at a Best Western. The breakfast is also fantastic. I highly recommend this location if you are trying to stop somewhere for a night's rest or on business.

« Friendly staff, great breakfast »

The hotel has very narrow rooms, but the staff and wide selection of items for breakfast make up for the cramped rooms. Along with the standard cereal and baked goods this breakfast included make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and a station to make breakfast burritos with tortillas, salsa, hot sauce and sour cream.

« Warm and welcoming hotel to stay when away from home »

I was greeted with a warm "Welcome" and my request for a room near the front desk was met. I arrived too late for the warm soup as it ended at 7:00 pm. I'll do better with my schedule next time as it smelled delicious. I stayed in a room with a king sized bed even though I was alone. it was wonderful. The room was well decorated and didn't look "hotel like". The TV, microwave, and fridge worked well. I was too tired to use my internet but the option was available.Breakfast the next morning had lots of hot food options which were very tasty. I was checked out in an expedient manner. I definitely will stay here again!

We have stayed here several times when attending Oregon State events. Easy access from I 5. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Free WiFi with a strong connection. Breakfast buffet is OK, nothing great. We will return.

« very close proximity to the fair grounds. »

Very clean comfortable Hotel. Close to the fair grounds, restaurants and a coffee shop. Nice cordial staff, overall I would stay there again. It was a great value, I spend nearly 6 months a year on the road, and you get top shelf feel for a nice price.

« Best of the "Bests" »

We drove over 600 miles and discovered one of the "Best" Best Westerns as be began our three day road trip up to the Pacific North West. We were treated very well at check-in, the hotel was extra clean and very modern. The room was lovely, bed comfortable, television was huge and everything was very nice. We especially loved the colorful fall trees at the entrance, as we live in California where things are very dry right now. If we travel up north again, we'll definitely make sure to stay in Albany at the Best Western Plus Prairie Inn.

Train was an hour late. I called the hotel and spoke to Libby who went ahead and checked me in. When I got to the hotel she had papers ready for me to sign and get me to my room. Next morning after I ate breakfast I went to the front desk and asked if I could take a couple of bagels and a couple of yogurts with me because I checking out very early to catch an early train. AM agent said yes and Priscilla asked what I would like to take with me to eat on the train. Priscilla had the breakfast room open for me to take what i needed for breakfast. I will stay at this hotel again. Comfortable and quiet room.

    « A Beautiful Best Western »

We arrived after driving 600 plus miles in one day and felt like we'd arrived in a luxury hotel! The entrance was clean and welcoming and the check-in was smooth and nice. The room was gorgeous with lots of extras. If we travel to Albany again, we'll definitely stay at the Best Western PLUS Prairie Inn in Albany, Oregon.

    « Nice place! »

Stayed after Oregon State football game and found this to be comfortable place to stay. Great bed! Breakfast was good for roadside motel, staff was very helpful. Only complaint was noise from shower in room above. Showers that last 20 minutes at 4 AM aren't the motels fault but it was oretty noisey!

    « No real complaints »

Spent one night at this hotel during a recent trip to CA. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. Pool was also clean. Only complaints would be the use of insidious paper cups, and totally useless minute pillows.

« Great co fort and value »

We stayed in a King room. It was spacious, very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Loved that it was convenient to I-5, and easy to find. The staff was friendly and courteous. They suggested local restaurants and things to do.

« Realy nice Best Western »

We stopped through at the end of our vacation trip as a stopover before heading to our final destination. The hotel was very comfortably designed with the sink outside of the bathroom and a fridge and microwave located inside cabinets. Note: We have been to other Best Westerns that have the fridge inside cabinets and can tell you that there is quite a bit of heat buildup inside the cabinets when the fridge is running. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There was a sitting area with comfortable couch and the TV was able to be turned to face that area. We had just spent 8 days on the road so we used the laundry facility. One of two washers was broken, but there were two dryers. Nobody else needed to use them so we were able to do our laundry quickly. The breakfast area was huge and very comfortable. Although we had a late dinner and didn't eat breakfast, we did stop in for coffee and tea and it appeared as others were happy with the food offerings. This is a newer hotel and Best Western did a great job with it.

    « Crappy WiFi »

The hotel itself is nice, the staff friendly, but the WiFi is from the dark ages. I was forced to use my phone as a mobile hot spot at least half of my visit, and when the WiFi did work the signal was up & down. Because of this, next visit will be at one of the competitors.

    « Good hotel »

The hotel was remodeled, so it was nice. Facilities were modern, as well as room. Breakfast was adequate and free. The lobby was comfortable. The staff was pleasant. My tub did not drain well while showering.

    « OSU check in »

This hotel appeared one of the nicest for its price and it was. Everything was very clean, my room was spacious and even had a sitting area. The manager went out of her way to give my daughter tips and recommendations. My only complaint would be is if I ever needed someone at the front desk they were always sitting in the back.

« Comfortable Room at BW Prairie Inn »

We enjoyed our stay at BW Prairie Inn. The room was clean and roomy. The bed was comfortable, and the lamps were easy to use and had easily accessible plug ins for phone and tablet. We don't like the fact that the fan comes on when you turn on the bathroom light. Fan is sort of loud. But we used a night light and that solved the problem. The breakfast was OK, but nothing spectacular. I prefer plain yogurt to the sugary kind, and wish it was an option.

« Best Western Prarie Inn Albany Oregon »

Great service. Easy on/off from Interstate 5. The breakfast was fresh, warm and plenty of choices. The room was very clean and it was quiet the night I stayed there. The manager went out of her way to have an item mailed to me that I left in the room.
