« A perfect place for pets and to park a SKI boat. »

We love to stay at this Best Western since it is always clean and they allow dogs. This time was special because I drove from Florida to South Carolina to pick up a new Ski Boat. I knew the resort had one spot along side the hotel to park a boat. The hotel has a very safe parking lot. Hint: Ask them for the local pizza place that delivers and you won't be disappointed.

    « Honest review ?? »

Let me start by saying my husband and I just adopted a puppy from a shelter so we are new to looking for pet friendly hotels and we are a little choosy already so we thought we would have to sacrifice our comfort for our new addition to our family. However, when we checked in at this particular best western which is pet friendly we found the hotel was very clean, smelled good (very important to me),the room was clean and very nice, the staff was very accommodating and they had a designated pet area in the back if the hotel. We did have a small problem but it was addressed instantly and professionally. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I will definitely make this one of our stops on our trips back and forth from Ohio to Florida. Thank you Nat for your kind hospitality and professionalism you showed towards our family. ??

    « Right off I-95 »

Fairly clean but felt old and in need of updating. Day staff great. Evening person not very friendly- maybe a bad day. Breakfast was a good selection. Very convenient location when traveling. Hopefully updating is on their schedule soon.

« Loved the salt and mineral pool and hot tub. We cannot wait to return! »

Loved the salt and mineral pool and hot tub! We cannot wait to return. Also a close proximity to Historic Savannah, Georgia. Very clean, comfortable rooms, close to I-95 freeway. We felt renewed and great.

« Hotel clean, food awful »

The staff was friendly, and our room was clean. Housekeeping were super wonderful. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub, although our eyes burned. We arrived at 6:30 to find the nacho bar had about 1/2 a bag of chips, mostly crumbs. They never refilled it. The breakfast was the worst ever. Coffee was chalky and food items tasteless and luke warm. The texture was also off, possibly previously frozen. Although the hotel itself was dated, it was clean. We would not return because the food was so terrible.

    « Great stopovet »

Late arrival at 2:00 am. Had earlier booked the last available room. Had to take a smoking room but it was surprisingly fresh and clean. Staff was great!!! Would definitely recommend and stay again. Good location. Thanks BW staff!

« Great Place to Stay »

We visited Savannah and stay here in the evening. We were headed to Florida the next day and the hotel was located close to the highway. So convenient! The hotel is located about 20 minutes from Savannah. There were several stores and restaurants close by. The hotel was newer and beautiful. Everything was very nice. Our room and bathroom were very nice size. When we checked in we were told that there would be cookies for the guests at 6 p.m. They were delicious! Breakfast was very good! It was better than most breakfasts. I would stay here again!

    « Loved this place! »

Staff were excellent, room was nice - comfortable bed, roomy, quiet - although one could hear floor noise from folks above us typical for most hotels, fast Wifi, nice shower, laundry was available and worked well, decent choices for breakfast (not great, but not bad either) and in general well maintained facility. Would easily stay here again.

    2
« Ok but not great »

My expectations were high because this was a Best Western. Plus. It does not deserve the plus. Breakfast food was not good. Amenities were lacking and staff were not friendly. I would probably not say here again.

    « Very nice stay »

Stayed here on a visit to Savannah. Price was more reasonable then hotels in the city. Very clean room comfy bed and decent sized shower was nice for a two night stay. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel but it smelled wonderful. Our room was next to the elevator never heard anything from that. There is obviously a large railroad behind the hotel as I heard several during the night (no horns though). It wasn't long lasting so really no complaints.

« Don't plan on using hotel coupons at this one. Don't know why they waste the paper!!!! »

For some unknown reason we tried to get a room at this place. We were off the road at around three thirty so expected there wouldn't be any problem having an coupon from the travel book honoured. But NO LUCK again. The girl at reception said they had booked their quota and immediately tried to sell us an available room at $100 plus if we used our AARP or AAA card. So they had rooms available!! This is the third time this has happened with this hotel. The last two years we were a bit later but still before 4:30 when we like to get off the highway and relax a bit. So we decided to head north one more exit and presented our coupon at a Country Inns and Suites. They gladly accepted our busines and the hotel is great. We won't be trying this Best Western again!!!

    « Passing through »

Needed a hotel to sleep in for about 5 hours. Found this one on the web and made the reservation. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed by this hotel. Pleasant interaction with hotel staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Very nice.

    « Horrible Experience »

I am truly unsure how anyone could say anything positive about this establishment. I booked two rooms through the Best Western.com for 2-21-18. We were driving from PA to GA. Because I knew that we would be arriving late, I placed or attempted to call the hotel at 5 p.m.(took several calls to the hotel before connecting with an employee) to notify the hotel we were coming and to please hold our (2) king NON-SMOKING rooms. The employee (I will not say her name in this review) promised the rooms would be waiting. Well, you guessed it. We arrived slightly after 10 p.m. Went to the front desk and no one was there. I rang the bell and the girl who was standing outside smoking came in to assist. This was the same person I had spoken to at 5 p.m. (she was wearing her name tag) and it was a very unusual name. Anyway, she proceeded to tell me that they only had 1 king room and another room with 2 queen beds. This same employee lied to me and said that I must have spoken with someone else. When asked what she could do for me, she said that because I booked the room through a (third party) nothing could be done. Since when is Bestwestern.com at third party?. We were very tired, so we took the rooms. Well, let me tell you that the hotel is run down and the NON SMOKING rooms were definitely not non smoking. I had to crank the a/c and spray some Lysol to try to make air quality bearable. I was given the business card for the manager and was told she would be there at 7 a.m.; however, she was not there. Although, the person checking us out did not have a name tag and when asked when the manager would be there, she said she did not know. She was probably the manager. I think because I booked the rooms more than a month prior, they sold the other king room to someone who just happen to come in at a higher price. Shame on you Best Western Richland Hill, GA. This is my first and most likely last stay at a Best Western. Will stick with Hilton, Marriott, Holiday Inn Express.

« Quick weekend trip to Savannah »

We stayed at the Best Western because of price. What a delight! The pool and hot tub were small, but delightful. We stayed Feb.9th and were sorry to have missed the 6 p.m. cookies and the Evening food! However, the rest of our stay was great-the bed was nice and the shower hot! The location was accessible to the Hwy. The staff was friendly and caring. GS and I would come back! BS

    « Good location near Rt 95 »

The description I read for this hotel sounded fabulous, so we were a little disappointed. The room was nice and clean, the hotel was the newest in the area, but didn't look brand new, and the description of cookies and citrus drinks in lobby were a little overrated. If you weren't there By 6:30, there were no cookies left and the citrus drink was warm lemonade. Never saw the nachos that they offered. Breakfast was pretty good. Omelets were premade cheese omelets but tasted pretty good. We were there for only one night on our way to Florida so it was fine,

« Very nice, excellent value »

Very clean and we'll kept, a bit upscale of your basic Best Western. Enjoyed the hot tub and exercise facility. Close to highway and good restaurants. Staff were very helpful too, only blemish was at checkout where the clerk was a bit surly. Would certainly stay there again.

    « Business Trip SW 1/23/18 »

In town for one night room was clean and comfortable with a good working area. As I was leaving I could not find my sunglasses. The cleaning crew noticed I was looking for something and immediately came to help. I checked out deciding that I had them at the office the day before. Looked in the car, no sunglasses. As I was heading to the office to look there, the front desk called to say they had found them. I do appreciate the extra effort everyone made in finding my sunglasses. Not an expensive pair, but much needed.

    « "Dog" Tired »

Looked for a hotel that would welcome us with our 3 dogs on our way to Florida. Called and Marcella got us a great room on the first floor, easy access to plenty of room to walk the dogs. Room was clean, very comfortable. Marcella noticed that we had enough points with Best Western to get the room free, so we only had the additional pet fee. She even helped us get the best pizza delivered to our room! We will definitely stay here on future trips! djm 1/18/18

    « Clean, convient »

Hotel was very good with a couple of exceptions. Our (RP) stay was on 01/17-18/2018. One pet peeve of mine is that the TV in the common area was tuned to the obnoxious Fox News channel (apparently reflecting the political views of ownership). A more neutral selection would be appropriate such as the Weather Channel which is of more interest to the traveler. The breakfast was outstanding. The railroad train noise was a little distracting as was the fact that the "guide" function on the TV did not work so we had to scroll thru a large selection of channels to find the stations of interest. The hotel staff were very efficient. Given all of the above, we could stay again.

    « Mom »

Traveling through Georgia on our way to fla for my mother's funeral stopped for the night and was pleased with the last minute find of the hotel. Next time through I will stop again. Thanks for being in the right place at the right time. Lots of food options in the area as well.

« On the way to Florida after horrendous traffic »

What a pleasant respite for two road weary travelers after 12 hours in horrid traffic. Lovely accommodations, pleasant decor in lobby and personable staff. Breakfast was better than average. In all likelihood will stop on our way back north.

« Last day before new year »

On our way to Florida, trying to set up places halfway points on driving. Decided on Richmond Hill. We were traveling with our dog. So needed pet friendly. BW charges 20.00 which is very good for a pet. The room was large with a king size bed. Very clean , had coffee maker, fridge, microwave. It is by many restaurants, gas stations. And even a car wash which we needed badly after leaving Boston.the breakfast would have been good except for the fact that there were no eggs left no bacon, no pancakes, or coffee. The young girl at the desk I think had to handle the food part, plus the front desk so. Being January 1st and everyone checking out she apologized and told me she was on her way when something had happened. Not to worry my favorite biscuits and gravy they had, we were near elevator which was fine at night but there were early risers, who forget other people are sleeping and were talking by elevator. on the whole it was a really nice hotel, very clean, spacious room and nice staff, and nice lobby, I would definitely stay again on my way home

    5
    « Dog Friendly »

We were through travelers on our way to Florida and stopped here to spend the night with our small dog. This hotel is truly dog friendly. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and breakfast was fresh and good. Good restaurants are close by.

    « Nice hotel just off I95 »

Nice pet friendly hotel just off I 95. Make a reservation if you have a pet. Good-sized room, nice pet area out back. Breakfast was decent. Poor arrangement of guest breakfast area, people were all bottlenecked trying to get their food.

    5
« Several stays at Best Western Plus »

Have never had any problems or complaints even when I formally had my 2 little dogs with me. Rooms have always been neat and clean. Breakfast always more than adequate and nicely presented. Also very important, parking very easy.

    5
« One of the best.. »

One of the top three Best Western hours over ever stayed in. The only one to have snacks/appetizers for guests in the early evening. That was after cookies in the afternoon. The reception hall was most helpful in telling me about my reward points. (No one had bothered to tell me about that before!)

    4
« Great Stay Close to Highway »

Hotel was very easy to find. Convenient to the interstate. Large room and excellent water pressure. There was an issue with an employee parking in the handicap space that was not addressed despite our notifying the front desk. All other staff interactions were positive.

    5
« Nice clean hotel right off 95. »

Look no farther, a nice hotel right off the highway, clean and comfortable. It has a breakfast and the staff are friendly. The price is right. Would stay again. Very convenient for a stop on our way to Florida.

« tv did not work right. »

Cable tv did not work right. the rooms are very nice and clean. The breakfast is very nice. Check in and out staff could use a little more smiles. The beds are very nice. Very good hot water. Fix the tv service in the rooms.

    « Excellent »

Very impressed we gave 2 cats to take along. The hotel was very safe clean. We had to use a luggage carrier to bring items through the front door. Would rather park outside room door. But the experience was worth coming thru the front door. We would do it again. best best western we stayed in as of yet. Also we liked the guard around the bed to prevent cats from going under. Thanks the room was serendipitous !!

    « Great night stay »

It was a great night and awesome to swim in the pool. Had a bad experience with one staff member but the rest took so much pride in their jobs and went above and beyond! It was a really good stay and welcoming too!

    3
« Nice looking, modern place, but chintzy operation »

New facility with very large, comfortable room. But, they went out of their way to cut every possible corner -- surcharge for second guest (not something that one expects at Best Western), excessive charges for snack and beverage items in the room, chintzy options (very small sizes, for instance) on the breakfast items, etc.

    5
    « very comfortable hotel »

This is the 4th time that we have stayed at this hotel on our trips to and from Florida. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and most importantly, quiet. The management is very helpful and friendly and we always enjoy a delicious meal at nearby Molly MacPhersons. After driving for many hours, these amenities are important to us. Breakfast is fine; my only suggestion would be for them to have real butter available, rather than margarine. There is enough variety to please everyone. Since we had stopped at the Visitor Center upon entering Georgia, we had a coupon which made the room rate very reasonable.

    5
    « Traveling with Dogs »

Traveling with dogs can be stressful at the wrong hotel. This hotel made the experience very pleasant. Had a ground floor room close to exit. Good area to walk in and poop bags provided. Plus the room was very nice and very clean. Breakfast was very good and overall a great experience. We had no issues and staff was friendly and efficient. Would stay there again.

    4
« Location Not The Hotel »

Recently on our way north on I-95 while looking for a hotel for the night we went to our usual favorite, a newly-built BW at the Richmond Hill, GA -- southern suburb of Savannah exit. While the hotel was usually great, economical, and its amenities equal to other top hotels in the area like a Hilton or a Marriott, the location turned out to be sour due to a paucity of local restaurants. After riding around on a Monday night for an hour we sorrowfully settled on a sports bar that was just terrible. So next time we go though that area and again need a stopover hotel we will instead go north one more stop to Pembroke, GA instead, where we found a Cracker Barrell for breakfast the very next morning -- a Cracker Barrels all are great for breakfast! It was the location and certainly not the hotel that ruined our stopover! The usual restaurant, Love's just down the local highway towards Savannah, was closed on that Monday night, or we would have been just fine. But there were no other restaurants than fast food available that night and we hate fast food!

clean hotel great indoor pool and hot tub and a wonderful friendly staff very very easy access to the interstate highway ninety-five which was very necessary as we were there to visit Savannah, Georgia

« Best Western Richmond Hill »

Well taken care hotel.. Very clean. Very close to highway. Rooms are nice. Our room had a night light and we thought it was a thoughtful addition to the room. But do not know if it a standard item or a previous guest had left it. Breakfast lacked items some days but adequate otherwise.

    4
« Best Western Richmond Hill GA Very nice »

Nice hotel in good location. Room was very nice and clean. Staff at check in not so good. Great breakfast items with eggs sausage cereals fruit waffles juices and coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Excellent value »

Very clean, great service and a good breakfast. Comparable to higher priced chains. Attractive rooms and lobby. Comfortable bed and pillows. They matched the lowest online price. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

    4
« Nice clean place to stay the night »

We've stayed at this est Western Plus before and we were very pleased with the room and service. The rooms are very clean and presentable for an older property. Being an older property does not mean shabby at all. It is very well maintained. Front desk service was very good and efficient. Breakfast in the morning was MUCH LESS than we've experienced in the past. The woman handling the breakfast supplies was eating breakfast while the napkins, pancake batter, coffee, sausage, juice, etc needed refilling. When she finished HER breakfast, she could not keep up with the guest requests for items. Pet Friendly even thought we did not like the fact that some owners, well most owners had undisciplined pets (they barked too much without any corrections by the owners (NOT the fault of the hotel). We'd stay there again because it was very clean and the beds were pretty good.

    « Skip breakfast »

The staff is rude and refuses to put out new food after about 8:20, even though breakfast ends at 9. Then they clean it up, even as guests are still serving themselves before 9 am. I also caught the staff trash talking guests right outside the elevator, then had to wait on them to finish their conversation so that I could check out. It's cheap and clean, but the service sucks.

    2
« Not what it used to be »

Being snowbirds, we travel to Florida twice a year and make this hotel our stop. We called directly to the Hotel and reserved a king room. Upon entering the room, we saw it was two queens. Being of ample figures, my husband and I prefer and insist on a king for a spacious nights sleep. We called the desk and were informed there were no king rooms available. So why did they make our Reservation? As it was late in the evening and being road-weary, we decided to just stay. One of the first thing I noticed was the chlorine smell from the pool area. If one knows about pool chemistry, you know that this is a problem caused by improper maintenance- the chlorine is bound up by the stabilizer and cannot disinfect the water. So no going in that pool/spa. The bed was as hard as rock. Yes, there are trains going by. I saw a wad of toilet paper on the floor of the bathroom, along with a ?hair? by the tub. The grout at the base of the tub where it meets the floor was nasty and looks like there had been an attempt to paint the grout white. The door frame was the original nasty old broken tooth yellow- they should have painted the frame white. Most of the desk personnel were friendly. This hotel has declined rapidly by the management with regard to upkeep and renovations. We will go elsewhere next trip through.

    4
    « HOTEL NICE »

When checked in front desk staff real nice, have to ring bell to get their attention. Not a problem but really nice. The Tea Bag assortment needs updated, Bigelow Tea has sever assortments but they only had 1 choice. Breakfast staff so nice and accommodating with all you needs at breakfast.

    « Wedding celebration »

My fiancé and I arrived on a Friday night, check in was quick without any problems. Our room on the third floor was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. We had no issues with noise in the hallway etc and we're able to sleep in on Saturday without any interruptions. The hotel has a pool but we didn't have time to visit. We enjoyed our stay until we left on Monday. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when visiting the Richmond Hill / Savannah area.

    « Save Your Money »

I chose this motel for my family for 2 nights due to the great reviews i read. I can promise you do not go by reviews. Others who have stayed may not have the same lifestyle as you. There are 2 definitions of great and excellent one is others and one is yours. When we first pulled up to motel there are btight red lights shining on yhe walls and i thought we were in Las Vegas instead of Savannah. We went to front desk and they were very courteous and nice. Went to room and there was as a 3 inch Wood Roach in the bathroom with roach feces in the shower. I took care of that problem only because we got at motel after 10 and were exhausted from a long drive. The mattress felt like it had been there since motel opened and was worn out, motel is near train tracks and we heard the train horn all night long. Got up 5 hours later after a miserable night of sleep. Went to have what i thought wad going to be breakfast and thete was very few things to choose from. The bacon had no flavor and was paper thin, eggs which is what they were labeled were some type of yellow rubber folded in half right out of a microwave and coffee was watery. To say the least i checked out after 1 night and went accross the street to Holiday Inn Express. It was $20 more but day and night difference! This is one review you can trust.

« Moving Trip with pet »

Love great places to stay with my yorkie Abby. Clean floors and people who love pets know what it takes for pet owners to find a home away from home...Best Western offers us a great place for overnight for a pet family.

    « Excellent Dog-friendly »

Excellent dog-friendly environment. Excellent dog walking yard and friendly staff. Breakfast just okay, but otherwise a topnotch BW. Well-position off 95 but not too far from highway. Quiet rooms and comfortable beds. There's also a great Indian restaurant about 2 miles away. Himilayan Curry Restaurant

    « Great hotel »

All the comforts of home plus some. New, clean, comfortable, decent breakfast, free WiFi, great location. Just needed a place to stay for the night on our way home. Met all expectations & it's also very close to the Smokin' Pig!

    « Awesome property »

BW has come a long way. This is the 2nd BW we have stayed in on our trip and both have been very good. This one is really upscale for your mid-range hotel. It is clean and easy to get around in. It is very well done. The bed is so you don't have to be a high jumper to get in it. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We will stay here again if we head this way. The staff are very friendly and have a good sense of humor.

    « Great Experience »

We found this hotel using a coupon book we picked up at the Welcome Station and used a coupon for our stay. The hotel is new and has a great hot tub and indoor pool, it is all non-smoking, is quiet and is near the !-95 Highway. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

    5
    « A definite Plus! »

Recently my husband and I made one of our many drives from NJ to Florida. We had never made it on the first day of driving to Georgia therefore I was not familiar with hotels just outside of Savannah. This BW Plus received very good reviews on TripAdvisor and was reasonably priced. I am now one of those reviewers letting you know the reviews were well-deserved. Immediately upon entering the lobby you will notice how "clean" it smells. I was greeted by a courteous staff member and a drink dispenser of delicious strawberry lemonade. The room I was assigned was very clean and I appreciated the tv remote being in a sanitized bag. Bed was comfortable with an abundance of pillows. The complimentary breakfast buffet was well-stocked with biscuits, gravy, cheese omelets, bacon and assorted cereals. Be aware a strict policy of breakfast closing at the posted time of 9:00 am exists. You will be happy with choosing this hotel for your stay as will your four-legged family member who is welcomed for a small fee.

    5
    « Traveling through »

We have stopped at this location many times when traveling from NC to FL because it's clean and dog friendly! Would highly recommend to anyone traveling with furry friends! We used to stop at BW Savannah/Gateway but this location is a newer facility and Richmond Hill is not as congested.

    5
    « Excellent Choice »

I have stayed at this Best Western on several occasions while traveling to Florida, and have always found it to be exceptionally clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and the bed sheets are of better quality than standard hotel fare. Breakfast offers a better selection than most hotels and is well maintained. This is one of my favorite hotels on I-95 because it is consistently clean and comfortable.

    2
« Not what was advertised »

Not as advertised, we chose this hotel because it had a bar/lounge and said they have snacks in the lobby in the evenings. After being in the car for 10 hours we were looking for a place to have a glass of wine and relax and maybe a snack. Not here, I was told maybe you should stay at a Marriott

    5
    « Great stay »

Nice and very clean. Great (if slightly on the small side) pool AND hot tub! Excellent price for the area and the quality of the hotel. Will definitely choose this hotel if I am ever in the area again. Nice breakfast, but would have preferred to see a few more options.

« A nice choice if you are traveling on I-95 and need a clean and comfortable stop »

I am not normally a Best Western traveler but found this location when I was planning out a trip to Florida. The location feels like a more upscale hotel with excellent guest service and a full breakfast. (It was my first use of a conveyor belt-type pancake maker.) The check-in staff member was professional and the staff member who was on breakfast duty was outstanding-keeping everything stocked and interacting with guests. The hotel was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. And they will have to continue to be excellent as it appears at least two more hotels are going up in this already growing area. Very convenient to 95 and all of the typical highway services you would expect. I was inspired to book a Best Western Hotel for the next leg of the trip based on the experience here.

« Worst Hotel, Worst Customer Experience! »

Traveling extensively throughout my career, and especially now in my capacity as a corporate-level manager, I experienced hotels which provide the utmost in customer service and those which do not. However, my experience with the Best Western Plus in at 4564 US Highway 17, Richmond Hill, Georgia certainly set the new low-water mark for lodging and customer care. When my wife and I decided to spend an overnight stop at this hotel while enroute to Florida, we called directly to secure a one-night reservation. We were on the phone with the hotel clerk on August 17, 2017 at 7:00pm ET and were offered a rate of $79.59 plus $16.14 tax. Upon arrival at this hotel on October 21st at 6:00pm, we checked in and were provided a swipe card and a standard door lock key and were told our room was number 299, on the second floor. We walked around the floor in search of room 299, and not finding it we returned to the check-in desk. The desk clerk accompanied us to the second floor to show us our room. The room was marked ?Housekeeping?, without any room number, located right next to the hallway soda machine. This room amounted to a room originally designed for Housekeeping purposes, now repurposed as a guest room. When opening the door, we found the hotel laundry chute, and high voltage electrical panels right next to the only way out of an outer room, plus another wooden door. Using the standard door key, we finally entered our room, one equipped with two more high voltage electrical panels right at the inside wooden door, a double bed, a small desk, a refrigerator with microwave, and a television. These electrical panels, if something would short out and cause an electrical fire, would prevent us from safely escaping the room. I wonder how this was overlooked by the county zoning or licensing departments. I wonder if Best Western corporate offices know of, and would approve, this room. And this hotel room came equipped with one more thing?. Ants. Returning again to the check-in desk, I asked to speak with the manager. A woman identified herself as the Front Desk Manager and I informed her the room had ants and that I wanted another room. She checked her inventory and presented me with room keys for another room, plus a Reservation and Rate Information form listing the replacement room with a higher room rate of over $124 plus tax. I informed her that I was not going to pay an up-charge since the room we were initially given posed health concerns, which were the responsibility of the hotel to remedy. When hearing this, she then told me we could always leave her hotel. She said this immediately, without an ?I'm sorry?, no ?Let me see what I can do?, no explanation, just ?You can leave if you don't like it?. <exact quote> Imagine my shock at being told I could leave if I didn't like staying in a room with ants. Imagine how I wondered why a manager would not attempt to work with a guest, a paying customer, who brings a problem to a manager. Imagine how I felt when presented with this absolute lack of concern by this manager and her unwillingness to rectify the problem. After an uncomfortable discussion with her in-front of other hotel guests, she finally provided a different Reservation and Rate form which listed the original rate offered during our telephone call of August 17th. At the beginning of this post, I said I travel extensively throughout the United States for my job, frequently requesting my corporate travel office to book me into Best Western properties. Prior to this hotel visit, I have never been told that if I did not like my accommodations because of a health concern I could leave. I have never been told I had to pay an up-charge for a replacement room because of a hotel's issue with ants. I have never been offered a stay in a room which posed safety hazards because of high-voltage electrical panels right next to the only way out of a room. I have never been shoved into what amounts to a housekeeping closet as my room. I have never before been made to feel my health, my safety, or even my patronage was so under appreciated. At other hotels I have been frequently told upon check-in or check-out, ?thank you?, as the staff of other properties knows I have choices for my travel accommodations. At this hotel, I was never thanked for my business, or shown the least amount of courtesy or concern by the Front Desk Manager. I have not been contacted by the hotel's General Manager, leading me to believe my business or my concerns are not valued. My previous Best Western experiences have spanned stays throughout Europe and the United States. Because of this hotel experience, if I find myself in the Richmond Hill, Georgia area again on personal travel I will continue traveling further. I will never return to Best Western Plus in Richmond Hill, Georgia, and I suggest that readers find another hotel to use for their traveling needs.

« Would like to rate it higher »

The room is nice, but there is no leisurely seating. A chair and reading lamp would be nice. Dining room chairs? Seriously? Lights dim, nice 42" inch but without digital is looks 32".Room was dusty. Compressor makes roar on and off. Room is quiet. Beds average. The nice lobby is "tacky" with all the added "what nots" and vending machines. Breakfast limited. The owner was a real sourpuss at check out. Never said a word.

« very good hotel for the price »

I have been staying at this hotel at least one time a year for the last 3 years and it has always been a good experience, will continue to stay there when I need a room in that area. The parking lot is well lighted and the grounds always look good, the free breakfast is a little better than average and always clean. For the price it is a good value.

    « Top Notch »

Just a few miles from Savannah, this conveniently located to I-95 hotel is hard to beat. Away-from-road with every modern convenience and especially good amenities. Gas stations and restaurants in immediate vicinity. Nice-sized rooms have microwave, mini-fridge, large flat screen TV, free WiFi, individual thermostats, super comfy mattresses. Hot and cold breakfast included. Friendly staff. I reserved in advance and got a great rate too. Good for all types of travelers.

    « Convenient and clean »

Friendly and helpful staff, rooms large and very clean, pet friendly. Great breakfast included, better than most, pre made omlets, make your own pancakes, cereal, fruit, Danish etc. Nice indoor salt water pool and exercise room. Convenient to local stores and restaurants.

    « Don't Hesitate on This One »

This was an excellent, new property in a great location, and providing great service. We wanted to drive to the other side of Savannah, but still have proximity to conveniences, and this filled those requirements!

« Good stay and friendly/ helpful staff »

My boys and I stayed here waiting to move into our new home in Richmond Hill. The staff was helpful in giving directions and helping me get acquainted with the area a bit. Breakfast was always great and my boys loved the pool and hot tub at night!

« Friendly service for all »

Upon check-in the staff asked what floor I preferred and let me know the first floor was pet friendly in case I had allergies. I enjoyed my stay. The staff greeted me each day as I left and returned. Although I did not take part in eating breakfast, some of my colleagues did and they appreciated the variety of foods available and the quality of the food was good. I recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Richmond Hill or are travelling through. Richmond Hill has a lot to offer if you know where to look. Some great places to eat lunch and dinner...try Melody's.

    « Very good property »

Good location off I 95 but far enough away from the exit so it is quiet. Nice lobby and breakfast room. Indoor pool and exercise room. First floor pet rooms were noisy due to pets left by owners. Room is large and comfortable with a mini sofa to sit. Wifi connection is very good. Nice to have microwave and mini fridge. AC is cold so a comfortable night. Free nightly tacos social hour. 6 pm free cookies. Parking is free and safe. Breakfast is good with alot of choices. The day we were there, the pancake maker was not working. But still lots of good items to choose from. Interesting to have chai and hot chocolate from a machine.

    « Extremely Happy »

This is an excellent hotel for the cost, and the staff was very friendly. ,The hotel was very clean, and our room was very comfortable. I would definitely stay in this hotel the next time I am in the Savannah, Richmond Hill area.

« Don't eat the snacks in your room . »

Snacks in room there is a charge if consumed .4.00 dollars ! Water 4.00 dollars . 4oz candy 2.50 . Warning stay away of snacks they are not free . What an insult to us staying there. What make this a Best Western Plus hotel ? Other Best Westerns hotel offer the same products minus the room snacks . LOL

    « not a good hotel »

I came to this hotel thinking it was good. The outside looks nice but the inside looks really outdated especially the hallways and the rooms themselves. Our room was terrible. The air conditioner did not work properly. There were insects on the beds. The sink did not work. The pancake maker didn't work and I called the lady three times to get it to work. The breakfast buffet was not really that good and the overall service was terrible.

    « excellent stopover »

. Clean, comfortable rooms, staffed by a wonderful group oaf helpful, friendly people, very convenient to I-95. Breakfast choices are amazing, plenty of grassy area for walking a dog (complete with doggy-bag dispensers!)...in short, a top-notch spot for a stay over.

« Too much fragrance to breathe!!! »

There was too much fragrance in both rooms we tried for my asthmatic husband. When we asked for a new room after visiting the first room we were moved five rooms down the hall which was only slightly better. This was my worst experience with Best Western.

    « Awesome hotel! »

We were traveling from PA to Fla and after a 14 hour trip we stayed the night at this hotel. Clean, super comfortable beds, pet friendly & an amazing staff. One of the best hotels in Georgia after a long trip! Highly recommend!

« 5 stars for hotels in this category of prices/area »

We recommend this hotel but won't likely stay again, as they normally do not allow pets. The pet rule was waived for Hurricane Irma evacuees, with a $20 per pet charge. Fair enough, and we enjoyed the overnight stay. My computer would not allow me to make the online reservation, so Mellissa, employee at the hotel, made our reservation for 2 side by side rooms, as I was traveling with my elderly mother. Melissa was very helpful and kind upon our arrival. The rooms were very clean and nicely set up, thanks to Dilenia, very nice job. I checked the mattresses, and they looked very clean, protected with waterproof mattress pads. They were also comfy, with the cleanest sheets I have ever seen in a hotel. The amenities were of good quality. We ate the breakfast in the morning. It seemed of average fair for hotels in this price range. I am not much of a fan of breakfast; however, my mother really enjoyed hers. Bobbi Jo checked us out in the morning, and she was also pleasant and helpful. There was a discrepancy in our bill I noticed. When I later spoke on the phone to the manager Alicia, she was helpful and quickly noticed and corrected the error. If you are not traveling with pets, I recommend this hotel. There was also a nice indoor pool and hot tub that we did not use. The hotel is very close to I95 but the area was quiet. My only recommendation to management would be to consider wood/laminate floors on the next remodel, at least in some of the rooms. The smell of cleaning agents for carpet can aggravate those with allergies. A Venice, FL, Best Western we have stayed in had them and they were particularly nice.

    « Very Nice Property »

The exterior of the property is well kept. Good value relative to other hotels in the area. Stayed one night while visiting family. Beds are comfortable. Would recommend to others and would stay here again.

    « Great nights sleep »

I stopped here on my way to Florida on business, I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express across the street but, decided to stay here his time because it was $50 cheaper. Despite the desk clerk being MIA for 15 minutes ( evidently on a smoke break), I enjoyed my stay. The rooms are large, have refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms and I found my room very clean and the bed very comfortable. Hot breakfast had everything you would need to start your day, I do wish the "Hot"items were actually hot and not just warm ( which included the coffee) but, I'm really not that picky. Overall it was a good night stay and would stay hear again especially if the Holiday Inn Express would happen to be price gouging again in the future.

« Nice, new motel. Quiet and comfortable. »

Needed a room along I95 returning to Florida after hurricane Irma. This was reasonably priced and new. Clean and quiet (most important things for a hotel!). Checked in at 4:30pm and departed 12 midnight to get ahead of the crazy traffic, so didn't sample the breakfast. Some restaurants nearby...we went to Molly Meguires pub and had 4 appetizers which were pretty good.

« Just what you need »

Rest your weary head. Clean, friendly, nice breakfast, pretty pool , great room. All you need for a good nights rest. We use Best Westerns up and down I 95 and they are very consistent in their high quality.

    2
« Low Quality for High Price »

For this price range, I would recommend any of the other hotel chains - IHG, Hilton, or Marriott. Their hot breakfast is fresher and of much better quality. The staff here was not of the caliber that you get at other hotel chains in this price range either. Other than that, everything was else comparable to other hotels in this price category. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, etc.

« Post Hurricane Erma evacuation »

I stayed at this lovely hotel on my way back home after evacuation for hurricane Erma. The trip south on I 95 was very slow and nerve-wracking. This Best Western Plus was a quiet oasis in the center of turmoil. The atmosphere was calm, the décor lovely, the staff friendly, and the beds comfortable. Oh - and there were hot nachos waiting in the dining area. Doesn't get any better that that!

    5
« Great Dog Friendly Motel »

Great dog park, great breakfast, efficient and caring staff, very clean and well appointed rooms. Front desk clerk was very caring as we were evacuating for Hurricane Irma and once this hotel was full, she went out of her way to call other hotels for the overtired and very stressed travelers.

    « clean and roomy »

lobby and room more spacious than expected, room was clean, and there is ice cream. the lady at the front desk greeted me very nicely and got me into my room fairly quickly. The pool was a bit small but I did not go for a swim so that did not bother me.

    « Surprised! »

Very nice motel...better than I expected. It was convenient to the event I attended & easily accessible to the interstate. The hot breakfast was fresh and very tasty. I would definitely stay here again!

« Blood on sheets on arrival »

there was blood on the sheets on both beds on arrival. They brought me sheets and my Husband and I changed the bedding. The weekend management could have been nicer, was not treating it like a big deal. They ended up giving us half off our stay for two nights. We were in town for a funeral in the family.

« Falling asleep at the wheel »

Driving from Homosassa FL to NC is exhausting at the best of times but on this day after a sleepless night, I could barely keep my eyes open. Deciding on caution I came upon the Best Western Plus and decided to sleep for a few hours before continuing my journey. It is a lovely place and I very much enjoyed my stay. Thank you

« Overnight stay passing thru »

Very clean hotel, staff was great and breakfast was above normal for a free breakfast. Parking lot was full by 1000 PM but they have some space along driveway. It was convenient to I-95 will plenty of places to eat nearby. Great room for the price, I will stay here again if passing thru.

« Rules are worthless if not enforced »

When doing a road trip we look for a hotel in a quieter area and of course insist on being free from second hand cigarette smoke. This place was promoted that way, but the staff took no effort to assure guests followed their rules. There are signs posted at the front door prohibiting smoking there. So that's where they put the standing ashtrays. As a result, people gathered in that area and puffed away. Every time the automatic doors opened, a cloud of smoke blew in. One woman with two small yapper dogs frequented the area several times during the night. Not only did she pollute the lobby and nearby dining area with cigarette smoke, but her annoying dogs barked constantly throughout her breaks. I complained to the staff about it, but did not see any response or change during my stay. We have discovered several Best Western hotels improving conditions and others content with being another highway sleeping joint. This is not one of the ones improving. $89 wasted, and they didn't even post my stay on my rewards account regardless of my efforts to have that done. I recommend you select another hotel nearby at half the cost. Conditions might not be better, but you won't spend so much to be miserable.

« Great value for the cost »

I have stayed at this hotel twice. It is well located and easy to reach. Room was spacious and quiet. There is great areas to walk a dog. The breakfast selections were numerous and well stocked. Evening cookies along with salsa and chips were a nice surprise. Will definitely stay here again.

« Still a great place to stay near Savannah »

We hadn't been to this location for almost 2 years and remembered our previous excellent stays. The hotel has been updated, at least our room was, and was very nicely appointed. Sleeping quarters, a king , was superb and much appreciated after a very long day on road. Arrived at almost 10Pm and our room was waiting for us at the agreed to AARP rate of 99. Very accommodating staff at the breakfast bar kept the food items fresh and well stocked. This hotel continues to provide excellent resting spot off of 95 and I continue to recommend it highly.

    « Worst Weekend stay »

The check in & out staff has Horrible customer service, were not friendly at all. There were Flying Roaches in our room, have a video of the horrible experience. Best Western displayed false advertisement, no fresh baked cookies. Dogs were everywhere in the Hotel. We asked for non smoking rooms, it smelled like Phillip Morris cigarette factory! The worst complaint we have about the Hotel was when we woke up the next morning to find that their white cat had destroyed our motorcycle! The cat tore our motorcycle seats up, cat hair all on our bike, holes everywhere in our seats, scratches on the motorcycle. We advised the clerk who told us, yes they do have a white cat that stays in the front all day. Then she told us they are not liable for damaged property, but she took pictures to show her Manager. She was very rude about the situation. We put a cover on our motorcycle before turning in because of the rain, we expected to have a good experience and a restful stay here at the Best Western which were not the case! I will never stay here or refer this Hotel to anyone! Especially with flying roaches. She advised us that she would have maintenance spray. I have a video of both disasters! I am very upset and disappointed! Then try to be sarcastic and tell us to call the police and have him take a report but he would not be able to arrest a cat. The joke is on you, not funny at all!

« Very Clean and Modern »

The Best Western, Richmond Hill is an excellent location to stay when traveling on interstate 95. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast is fair as the preremade food isn't very enjoyable. For the low price, I think it's a good deal especially if you are just passing through.

    « The BEST Western »

The hotel offered the perfect rest for weary travelers. All aspects of the facility exceeded my expectations. The complimentary lemonade and nachos were a welcoming surprise upon check in. The hotel also had complimentary car air fresheners for your continued travels available at breakfast. I highly recommend this place.

    « Nice hotel »

The room was clean, the breakfast was good, and room location was granted. The staff was very helpful with other guests. I really didn't need anything but a lady came in and was lost. The staff helped her find the Best Western she had a reservation for that night.

    « Nice room but... »

Hotel hard to find because it is set back from the road behind an Arby's. Passed the entrance twice and had to circle back. Rooms are very nice but the walls are thin. Can hear conversations in the hallway and in the parking lot from a second story room. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

« Goes above and beyond... »

This is not my first review for this hotel. As always, it is an extremely positive review. We love staying at this hotel and it never fails or disappoints us. This time we had two grandchildren with us (10 and 8) and at the end of the stay, they both said they loved it and wanted to come back.....I'd say that's a pretty good referral in itself! We gladly pay the little extra to stay at this hotel every chance we get.....it is fantastic.

« Nice Hotel, and Great Staff »

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. The lobby was immaculate, and the woman who greeted us was very friendly. We arrived early with a reservation, but were able to get a clean, non-smoking king-sized room. The room had usb/outlets on the side table, and I really don't know why this isn't standard in ALL hotels. A nice plus. Our room was clean and bathroom was nicely appointed and large. We had new toiletries delivered everyday and the room was kept clean. Our room had a "run-on" toilet and drip in the sink faucet, and the maintenance man was there immediately when we reported this. He fixed both problems and all was well for the rest of the stay. Breakfast was exceptional, with bacon or sausage every day, mini omelets, biscuits and gravy, cereals, fruits, yogurts, tea, coffee, juice, grits, oatmeal, and pancakes. The breakfast area was well kept and someone was there at all times if anything was needed. All the hot foods were HOT and coffee was good. We have family in Richmond Hill, so I'm sure we'll be staying here in the future.

    « EXCELLENT!!!!! »

We always stop here on our way down to Florida and are NEVER disappointed. Rooms are very clean and up to date, staff is extremely friendly, and the breakfast is terrific. I especially love the sausage and biscuits. We have two dachshunds and find this place to be absolutely perfect for people with pets. Stop here and you will not be disappointed.

    « Room quality »

When I booked the room it was for a king size bed non smoking & no pets. The room we received was smelling of dog or cat!! No other king beds were available, wife and I had to endure the room waiting for management to tak there time to get back to us. Only 2 chirs in the room for guest to sit on, I have pictures. Never seen anything like this in a Best western property. When my wife complained about the smell she was given 4 potpourri air fresheners. I spent 20,000 reward points for this terrible room, I have requested the points to be returned to my account, waiting for a response from management. Trust me if I don't get my points returned I will post this on the internet and every other media service I have available. And let everyone know about the experience my wife and I had. Understand the reason for the room being non smoking and no pets is because my wife is asthmatic and gets sick easily. We were offered a queen size bed wife and I were forced to sleep in separate beds the whole time of our stay. Someone please get back to me so that this can be resolved ASAP. Thank you

    « Excellent overnight. »

    « Exactly what I needed! »

We stayed in this hotel on our way to Florida - loved that it was animal friendly (and quite a reasonable pet charge), and especially the dog walking area in the back :). The staff was friendly, breakfast was as advertised, and the location of the hotel was easy to access off the interstate.

« Quiet, quiet and quiet »

We had a three-night stay at this hotel. We have never stayed at a pet-friendly hotel, so we requested a room on the top floor, away from pets. This hotel is about 7yrs old and is situated back from the main highway about a couple 1000ft therefore limiting any noise from vehicles on the highway. Upon entering the smell was fresh and so was our third-floor hallway and room. The room was clean and comfortable. No mildew or mold in the bathroom and towels were even professionally folded as in an upscale hotel. Breakfast was decent that included sausage links one day and bacon the other two days, frozen to heat cheese omelets, oatmeal, pancakes, biscuits, fruit and pastries. The staff was friendly and accommodating. No problems or smells from pets. Only dislike is the small indoor pool, but my kids enjoyed it. Twenty minutes to downtown Savannah and fifty minutes to Tybee.

    « Wonderful! »

Hotel was spotless and the cleaning staff was absolutely wonderful. The lighting was not sufficient enough in the room was sufficient for me but was great in the bathroom. Having a microwave and fridge in the room was great. One of the cleanest properties I have experienced. Will certainly stay here again .

« Nice Facade, Needs work »

Looks very nice on the outside. Inside is apparently clean. Rooms have problems. Loose commode seats, leaking AC units, intermittent Internet connection. Beds are getting a bit old. I kept drifting to one side. Odd timing on the cleaning crew as well. They came mid to late afternoon and then blocked up the hall way with cords and vacuums. I'm glad it was clean, but who wants to dodge cleaning equipment to get to their room.

« Clean, hospitable, pet friendly »

This hotel is less than .5 miles from I95. It appears to be the newest hotel at this exit. The rooms are very clean and our room included both a mini refrigerator and a microwave. We were traveling with 2 dogs and this is a pet friendly hotel. They charge $20 per dog, but be aware there is $150 charge if you leave your dog/s in the room unattended. That was not a problem for us as we were traveling a long distance and too tired to go out to dinner. We opted to have one of us go to the Wendy's across the road for take-out so we didn't need to leave the pets alone. The included breakfast was very nice with a coffee bar including several coffee syrups, hot chocolate, chai tea or regular tea, pancakes, cheese omelets, biscuits, sausage and more. The dog walking area is well attended with waste bags and disposal that is kept clean. The area is a large grassy area behind the hotel which is also nice for the dogs. Great stop is you are traveling or down I95. Friendly staff, very nice.

« Great Pet Friendly Place to Stay »

Clean, Pet Friendly, lots of grass for the dog, friendly staff and a great location off of I95 before Savannah. We stay there in the spring and in the fall and a are never disappointed. There are a few really good restaurants in the vicinity if you are looking for non-fast food. Fish Tales, and Marker 107.

    « Average stay »

Stayed for one night on the way to Florida a couple weeks ago. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the highway which was good. The bed was comfy and the room was decently clean besides several cobwebs in the lamp shades. Upon entering the room we noticed a seriously musty smell, had I not been so crazy tired I would've probably asked to move. The staff were nice however when we went to checkout we stood around for about 15 minutes before anyone came to the front desk. Overall an ok stay but I've stayed at much nicer places for the same price.

« "Oliver is The Man!" »

Oliver, a manager at the hote,l made our stay. He made a few very helpful suggestions, that positively impacted this stay and will help in the future as well. Over and above employee! Best Western should hire him direct and bring him to Headquarters where he could makea bigger impact!

    « Overnight stay »

Very impressed with staff, friendly and efficient. Hotel was spotless inside and out. Room was very clean and this was a pet room. You would never have known that a pet had ever been in it. and from past experiences this is an exception. Outside grounds well lite, clean and attractive with excellent areas to walk your pet which was a big plus for us. Swimming pool is very-very small but has a nice work-out room. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast area very attractive and clean with the usual offering of breakfast items. This is the first hotel stay that we have not found one complaint. Definitely will be our overnight stopover on trips back and forth to Florida. Highly recommend.

« Nice place to stay »

We were on our way to our daughter's and stayed over night here. The clerk at check-in was very nice and friendly. She answered our questions about places to have dinner. The room was nice with a comfortable king size bed. The only complaint was that it had 2 dining room chairs for setting instead of more comfortable chairs or loveseat. Fortunately we were only spending 1 night, but if we had stayed longer, it wouldn't have been acceptable.

We needed a quik stay at midnight. Found this hotel and I am glad we did. It was cheaper than anything in the area, but had great reviews, and it is deserved. Oliver the night manager made my day! The peach punch in the lobby was amazing and breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Cant ask for much more.

    « Another perfect stay! »

My family and I recently visited Best Western Plus in Richmond Hill for a quick overnight trip. I thought I booked through Best Western so check your reservations. The booking was done through a third party--travlu-- they did give me a good rate- however I wanted to use my AAA discount but upon calling the hotel, I was advised that reservations done through a third party could not be changed--The front desk lady Alicia was very nice when I called and even nicer in person- check in was smooth and easy and they even gave me side by side rooms on the first floor since they did not have any ADA rooms left!!! Rooms are oversized and very comfortable and it was nicer to see a few changes since our last visit in 2015. Little things like rocking chairs out front and lounge chairs in the back---as usual the salt water mineral pool is the bomb!!! I wish they would expand it, but we were able to share with another family, the breakfast was good, better than most. Overall, another perfect stay!!! Price point has gone up a bit, but it is still a good value.

    « NIGHTMARE »

Horrific stay. Had our kids with us aged 1 and 3. Room stunk of mold and smoke. Promised us a refund and then wouldn't approve it when Priceline called. Manager wouldn't take our call afterward. Stay somewhere else.

« Consistently great service and facilities! »

Always clean and well-maintained, an increasing rarity it seems. The staff is professional, courteous and helpful, and goes out of the way to help you. Dog-friendly hotel that is in a great location with good walking space for big or small dogs. Very good location with variety of restaurants and services nearby. A definite winner, both among other best westerns as well as other hotels.

    « Book top floor »

We stayed overnight traveling home. Beds are very comfy and pillows soft and clean. Carpet felt dirty under my feet. Bathroom was big enough to help my mom take Shower, some are just so small you barely get yourself in them. They did have food in room with a price on them if you consumed you were charged. Trying to sleep you could hear the people upstairs, I swear they were gymnasts. Lots of places to eat around hotel.

« Not far off I-95, nice place to lay your head. »

The hotel is not far from I-95 and the sign is easy to see from the road. The hotel is a little back off the highway. Very friendly and helpful staff. Upon our arrival at 10:30pm the wifi on the 3rd floor was not connecting on any of our devices. I called the front desk and the clerk was able to get the router on our floor reset and working again within 10 minutes. The room was clean and tidy. Beds are comfy and the a/c works like a dream. Blankets were decent weight (I like heavy blankets). Not much sound coming from other rooms, which is always nice. We had plenty of towels and wash cloths for our family of 4. The "Paya" bath products smelled amazing. Breakfast was basic hotel fare. Not much different than other places. The chai tea was delicious. I liked this hotel and will probably stay here again in the future if we're ever passing through again.

    « Very Nice Visit »

We stayed at the Richmond Hill Best Western Plus on June 9, 2017. We were on our way to Florida for a cruise. We were looking for a clean motel with a hot breakfast. BW PLUS at Richmond more than fit our needs. I had called ahead to reserve our room. We were able to check in without any problems. Our keys were waiting for us along with recommendations for a place to eat. It took less than five minutes to check in to our room. The room was very clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was not a disappointment. There were the usual pastries and cereal, along with eggs, bacon sausage, toast bagels and a waffle iron. In my.opinion, a breakfast like that is worth a few extra dollars on the price of a room. I would highly recommend the Best Western Plus in Richmond Hill, Georgia

    « Quiet & Peaceful »

Quiet hotel set back from the road, so there is no road noise. It's the newest in the area. Tell Lesley at the front desk HI! for me:) She's a sweetie. The only part to watch out for is that their road is tricky to find. I pulled into the Arby's parking lot & had to pull back out onto the road to go to the Best Western road right next to it. Look for the very tall Best Western sign seen from the highway & pull into the road right before & next to it.

    « Good clean motel »

Good clean motel. Friendly staff. We can open the window in our room and get fresh air. Only negative - Pool was too small. It is about as big as an above ground round pool. Difficult to swim as the depth varies.

    « Weekend in Savannah »

This is a newer property and is a pleasant stay. The room was clean and quiet. Very wide variety of breakfast items and had cookies at 6:00PM and chips and salsa at 6:30PM. Just off Interstate 95 south of Savannah. Fast wifi.

    « Great Experience »

My daughter and I, along with two young grandchildren were traveling back to Delaware and stopped at 12:30 am for the night. It was difficult to find a decent hotel that you were comfortable with for two young children. The desk clerk was extremely helpful and accommodating, the room was exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable. We were right by the front desk, and had no problem sleeping, it was very quiet. We would definitely stay at this hotel the next time we have to make another trip.

« Best of the Richmond Hill hotels off I-95 »

This is a 3 star hotel but it's the nicest of the 3 properties we have stayed at in this location (the other two were Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn). Got a decent rate with a Priceline Express Deal! The pluses: The bed was ok for 1 night, it was quiet in the room, they gave cookies @ check-in, breakfast was your typical free fare and they had a small indoor pool and whirlpool. The minuses: Analog tv channels, light fragrance in the room, and small, thin towels at the pool. That said, I would stay here again because it's the best of the bunch.

« Got better with time »

I had initial reservations about this place because of the rude staff member but it would seem that Best Western was quick to resolve the issue and no issues were experienced since. Though it appeared that the 2nd floor was completely non-smoking, the hallway reeked of smoke. The bright side is that the smell did not enter the room. The room was clean and welcoming with the A/C already running to welcome us to comfort. Only issue with the room was the shower heads showed hard water build-up. Also, the entrance should be better defined because you will miss your turn in a blink if it is your first time visiting.

« New Best Western Plus hotel »

The hotel is new, fresh and close to the Interstate. The room was tidy. The receptionist Oliver was excellent: helpful, friendly and professional. Suggestions for improvement: 1) a clear sign by the streetside, 2) doorlock had minor problems, the door did not close tightly.

    3
    « They try hard »

The hotel was clean but the train noise was disappointing. They advertise nacho party, fruit bar, etc., but you have to read the fine print carefully. The check in person was on the phone for at least two minutes while we waited for assistance. It seemed to be a personal call about an apartment. She did mention the road side would be quieter because of the train in the back. She recommended a front road room but put us in the back instead. The train runs by all night but again the place seemed clean, except the windows.

    « Great Breakfast »

Easy check in found room to be nice and clear bath room was well supplies when we was checking out one of the house keepers came running down and had my wife I pad with him so I would like to say thank you RAJ not every place would have a person like this.

« Sad ..Sadder and Saddest »

No one really cares about anything except their paycheck. Do not expect any help if you are disabled, need anything or expect your bill to be correct.AC went out around 4 am. Could not report since the phone in the room didnt work. Asked for an extra clean room due to child respiratory issues. Also had asked for extra pillows and towels. In addition to carrying all our bags we had to carry all of these items as well.. And to think no staff would even offer to help or show us a cart and help load.. We also were the only ones chewckingin at the time and the 2 girls were sitting in chairs in the office area texting and tlaking on cell phones. NEVER EVER Would I EVER GO HERE AGAIN.

    « Quick trip »

Made a reservation and it was a very good place to stop for the night. Easy on and off of I95. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was adequate. Coffee was hot. It was going enough that I stopped again on my return trip. There was also a local establishment called Local on 17 that had great drink and dining specials.

    « Close to I95 »

My husband and I are on a road trip from Florida to Massachusetts on our way to our daughters college graduation. We decided to drive and get hotels when we got tired. We stopped at 930pm in Richmond Hill, GA and found this hotel close to I95. The rate of $89.99 was good but not great the hotel is clean and the bedding is updated and very comfortable. The pillows are great. I was pleased with the quality of the bathroom toiletries. The towels were thick but not soft at all. The coffee was Wolfgang Puck and was very tasty in the room. The double room included a microwave and a small refrigerator. The free breakfast in the morning was the standard expanded hotel buffet. Breakfast was served 6-9am. I would prefer a later closing time. The hallways on the second floor were musty but that was the only area that smelled. The staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

« Great hotel 30 minutes from Savannah »

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel is dog friendly and there is a large area in the back for the dogs to enjoy on a leash. The hotel also provides snacks and cookies in the evening. The only downfall is it is about 30 minutes from Savannah.

    4
« Great motel at a good price »

The room was clean and other than the sounds of an occasional airplane flying over, was quiet. The bed slept fine. The toilets were a bit low to the floor making it a little hard for an older person or a taller person to sit down. They have snacks in the room but they are pretty pricey. If you eat them, your bill will be charged. We booked online and the price was around 99 dollars before taxes. Couple who walked in before us was quoted the same price so I am not sure if it is any cheaper to book online. This motel is pet friendly with a 20 dollar per pet surcharge. We did not have pets. Pool was really warm but small and there was a strong chemical smell in the air probably from the chlorine in the pool. There were nachos with salsa and cheese and delicious cookies in the evening. Breakfast was good and they had a pancake maker and a container of oatmeal. There were cheese omelette, bacon, biscuits with sausage gravy as well as well as other items. Had outstanding hot chocolate. We would stay here again.

    « Savannah area visit »

I've been staying at this Inn several times over the past 4 years. Always enjoy my stay. Rooms are a great size and have a microwave and the mini fridge. Bathrooms have nice large vanity. Nice selection for breakfast.

    « Room was buggy »

The room we checked in to had tiny bugs all over the window glass and the sill. The bathroom faucet leaked when turned on. We stayed there before, but felt that the quality of the hotel deteriorated. Probably won't return since there are other options in the area.

    « Nice hotel »

This hotel was clean and well-staffed. They had nice extras like cookies and nacho social hour. The pool and the rooms were well maintained. The breakfast had more choices than I have ever seen at a hotel before and were tasty. Very good place to spend a night or more.

    « A good place to stay »

We were pleased with our stay at this hotel (again). Check in went smoothly - room was clean and well appointed - salt-water pool was nice, and heated - breakfast was quite good - lots of variety - it even had chai tea!

« Poor response to a bad situation »

This Best Western Plus disappointed us. The room was relatively expensive for a Best Western chain (over $160/night) for an average room. There was a breakfast in the morning. My husband noticed that the bathtub was very narrow and mentioned this to me before I took a bath (not a shower). Once in, I could not get out. There was one grab rail high up and not within reach. My husband helped me to get out but not before I slipped on the tub's wet surface and fell hard onto the side of the tub. I thought I had broken a couple of ribs and called the front desk for the house doctor. I was casually told there was no house doctor and the nearest hospital was 45 min, away. Nothing else. Not "how are you" or "we are sorry" or "how can we help"? So I waited through a very painful night to try to find a doctor the next morning and learned then that there was a clinic two blocks away and a hospital about 19 miles away! Not only did she give me the wrong information; she was way too casual about the accident. Two things for the hotel: educate your staff in emergency contact information AND equip your bathtubs with a decent grab rail that is within reach.

The bed was great as was the breakfast. Everyone was friendly. The lobby made me feel like I was in a 5 star hotel. Had a little trouble with the internet when I woke up but otherwise everything was just right.

    « Quiet and clean »

I stayed here on my way from NJ to Tampa for one night. The hotel has easy off and on access to 95. It is far enough from the highway that I did not hear any traffic noise. My room faced the woods in the back. It was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. I enjoyed a quiet, restful night. Breakfast buffet is quite average. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

« Nice Hotel, Easy Drive to downtown Savanah »

We have not stayed at a Best Western in years, but this was a great hotel Nice price and easy commute to downtown Savannah. They offered transportation down and back to Savannah but we wanted the option to go and come as we wanted. This place had a nice pool area and a delicious breakfast that came with out room. Rooms were clean and quiet and the beds comfortable. Will come again for sure. Pets were also welcome!!!

    « Bad business practices »

The business habits of this hotel are deplorable! This is a long review but please read it before you stay here. You have no idea what you may be exposing yourself to. My family booked this hotel through Scorecard rewards for a getaway weekend fit my daughter's 10 birthday. When we arrived we were given a smoking room. That was the Rewards program's fault but the girl on duty nicely offered to put an ozone machine in the room while we were out that night. We accepted and thanked her, told her we were leaving at 6:00 pm and we would be back around 11:00. We assumed the hotel knew how to ozone a room and were happy. However, we came back at 12:00 am to find the machine still running on high. The room had a strong smell that burned our throats and eyes. My husband has done fire restoration and has been trained on the safety guidelines of ozone machines. The machine should have run for 2 hrs at the most given the size of the machine, and to allow adequate time for the ozone to dissipate before we returned. Instead it ran for 6 hours with no time to dissipate when we arrived at midnight. We informed the night clerk of the problem. He informed us he was sorry and that they had no other rooms to give us. We sat in the lobby for an hour hoping the room would air out enough to sleep in it. After an hour, our throats still burned in the room. As my husband went up to check, a family came in to check into their previously booked room. They went up to their room and came right back down because the room they were given was occupied. The clerk called up to that room and spoke with the people who had extended their reservation. The clerk miraculously came up with a room to put the family in. A room that should have been offered to us an hour earlier. When I asked why we weren't, I was told he could not explain "what was going on with that situation". Hmmm... In the meantime, my husband asks for the make and model of the ozone machine so that he can determine how much ozone it put out in 6 hrs. The clerk called the maintenance man and put my husband on the phone with him. The man could answer none of his questions and said the room would be safe in 30 minutes but could back that claim with no evidence. We knew more about the risks than he did. Google says a minimum of 1 hr depending on the output. So, we again asked for the make and model of the machine so we could research it and feel safe letting our children sleep in the room. He refused to tell us. Refused! and offered to refund our money. He was as aware as we were that there were no rooms to be found anywhere. He had turned 9 people away while this was happening. The Hyatt would have found us a room elsewhere by now. We explained that we were there for our child's birthday, who was by now crying in the lobby while her sisters were sleeping on the couch in the lobby, and that we would very much like to stay in the room. We just needed to know how the room was treated. Still, he refused. Why?? Frustrated, we called 911 in hopes of getting the info we needed. The clerk then rekeyed the room with all of our belongings inside and locked us out. The cops couldn't help so we gave up and asked for the refund and resigned ourselves to sleeping in the car. While we retrieved our things from the room, after getting a new key from the clerk, my daughter heard him answer a call and book that hazardous room!! As if that weren't enough, because we then had to argue for a statement so that we could get our points back (which he also refused to give), the people showed up before we left, and the room had not been cleaned! We used the room that afternoon - bathroom was used and the beds were laid on. We did, much to the clerk's grief, inform these people of the situation before we left.

    « Lukewarm »

Hotel is clean, but we picked this particular hotel for the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was down for maintenance. The small pool was inside and warm, but no substitute for the jacuzzi. The shower pressure was good, but there was no hot water, lukewarm at best. Breakfast was good, and our hostess was very kind - Flora was her name. Other staff seemed friendly, but I'm still surprised at the overall ratings of this hotel.

    « Good Stop »

Nice clean place with friendly staff. Check in was fast. Room was modern and clean. Far enough away from I95 to not have any traffic noise. The king bed was very comfortable and the room AC was fairly quiet and only ran when necessary. Only disappointment was the flat screen tv had no HD channels.

    « Service was outstanding ! »

Henri was unreal at the front desk so helpful and going out of his way to make sure we got a room. He was multi tasking as he was super busy with guest and phone ringing off the hook. Not to mention a few rude guest that came in and were mad at him for not honoring a coupon that they had. Not like this guy goes and out on his spare time and sets coupons out. Unreal how rude people can be. This guy deserves a metal he was nice and smiled even w the guest going off on him. This is the kind of person I would love to have working for me. He was nothing but kind and super helpful. His management should promote him after the night he had. Did I mention people were walking in and mad at him there wasn't rooms left ( again like that is his fault ) plus the phone never stopped ringing. I give this 5 star for service !! Super job hiring this guest service Henri. I would come back just to be able to have someone like him. Room is clean !

The entire hotel (even non-smoking rooms) smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. If your a smoker or don't mind the smell the hotel is a great value. Other than the smell, the hotel seemed clean, the breakfast was good, but the gym was outdated.

We have stayed at this hotel for six years on our way to FL. It has always been very clean, recent new carpet updated, the staff goes out of their way to accomodate you in any way. Great mornnig breakfast choices, omlets, chip beef gravy and biscuits, bagels, fresh fruits, various juices, coffee's. They have a nice pool and spa. It's a tradition for us to stay there. This place is a professional bait and switch.....they offer one price in the AAA book but it's not available. The staff is well trained to hold the highest rate. « Overnight Stop in Richmond Hill »

the hotel was clean and nice and reasonably priced. The only issue was the refrigerator that made noise all night. Rooms were large and well equipped for both business and family travelers. The room did contain one document related to a food delivery option that was not available. Having a restaurant within walking distance would have been useful.

    « Nice place »

We only stayed one night, but the location was great for what we had planned. Lots of eating places close by. Not far from Savannah if you wanted to go there, river and boat landings within a few miles. Room was very clean, comfortable and staff was friendly. Would highly recommend.

    « Quality »

Very Good stay. Very comfortable and clean. Friendly and professional staff. Quiet and relaxing. I was here for a short business trip working an early morning shift and an overnight shift. The housekeeping lady saw me in the hallway when I got off from work and asked if I wanted my room cleaned since I had a DND on the door. I appreciated her asking. The breakfast hit the spot after working all night. Also, there is a great hole in the wall BBQ place just down the street.

    « It's ok »

This is an older hotel with a new shinny front and paint on the inside guest room walls. Dining breakfast area is nice but again it's an older hotel with new paint. Rooms are not 150.00 dollar a night rooms. So don't be photo fooled. Room was on back of building but guess what the trees hide.... Train tracks and they are used and there are noisy. All I can say

    2
    « Salt pool, phewy! »

I've stayed at many BW Plus and this is the worst. It is a very old building and the advertised salt pool is a small, dingy, dirty 3-stroke wide chlorinated circular pool. The paint on the floor flakes off on your feet & the towels are almost threadbare. The room is more recently updated but not Plus. Service was mediocre as well. We'll certainly pass this one by on our next enroute to Fla.

« Great place to stay close to Savannah »

Newer hotel very clean and nice. The staff very helpful and friendly. The nightly perks of nachos and cookies are a plus. the indoor saltwater pool and hot tub are great as well as the 24 hour coffee bar.

« Nice new hotel but bait and switch artist »

Since my recent retirement we have made several trips and liked Best Western. After checking out coupon book from visitors center, this location offered the indoor pool and spa we like for reasonable price. The desk clerk quoted a much higher price. I asked for the AARP discount and it was 10%. I had just stayed at Best Western in Santee and received a 15% discount. They finally offered that and we stayed. Still cost more than the average for the area. Hotel was very nice. Great room and breakfast. Pool was to chilly to enjoy. Made a point to stop again on return trip but clerk quoted that high price and I went south and stayed at Country Inn and Suites for 1/2 the price and the pool was nicer. Enjoyed great room and breakfast. The staff was much friendlier.

    « Rates »

I don't know if anyone else noticed this. Today's rate went down to $88.95 from $96 on Friday night when I booked my upcoming stay at the end of the month. It's supposedly based on current prices in the area. How can this be? Do rates vary from day to day? I am annoyed! Same room different day, in this case a day! I think it's ridiculous. And of course it can't be changed because it's classified as non-refundable. That's why I hate going through Booking.com or Hotels.com.??

« Clean and nice staff »

Very nice hotel either remodeled or new. We particularly liked the cleanliness of the whole motel. Breakfast was good quality and a staff member kept everything full and the tables clean. It was slightly difficult to get across the 4 lane road we had to go down a ways turn and come back.

    « Pleasant Stay »

We were meeting friends who live in the area, so I checked hotels on line to see what was available. Nearly all the reviews for this hotel were good reviews. We had never stayed at a Best Western before but decided to try it. All the employees that we met, including the breakfast room hostess, were very friendly and helpful. I was disappointed at first because I was looking forward to waffles. They had a pancake maker, but it was in a corner by itself and I did not notice it at first. Once I saw someone standing by it, I was able to get my "fix". Not as good as waffles, but definitely much quicker. The room was really nice, very comfortable and clean. They should probably just take the doors off the closet as the hangers have to be pushed to the side in order to close the doors. The room had a coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge which was great as we were traveling with items in a cooler. The cost of the room was very reasonable. We did miss the driveway the first time. The sign is very hard to see due to plants in the way. Also, the hotel sits a ways off the road and there is not much else near it.

« Impossible To Make Reservations on BW Website »

I just wasted an hour trying to make a reservation on the hotel's web site. The site refused to accept my first name and refused to take a BW member price, even though I logged in multiple times. The Capcha program to make sure you are not a robot involves doing puzzles over and over and over again. I've had it! I'm going to make a reservation at a more expensive hotel, but at least I'll know it functions.

    « Best Western is B minus »

Our experience was a B minus. This Best Western's rooms where very clean and neat, housekeeping gets an A. Our room 220 sink drain was clogged. The breakfast was all heavily processed food, not nearly as good as the Best Western North of Gainesville, FL with fresh made omelettes. This place was pushing, selling (handing out business cards) too much of the local restaurants, sites w/o first hand knowledge. The restaurants that reception referred us to where not as good as those we found on our own with a little Internet search.

    « Great.customer service »

We were on our way to Florida and needed to stop for the night. I found several hotels in the Richmond Hill area. I called Best Western as I wanted the hotel's actual phone number as we had specific questions about that hotel. (I had tried the completion and had no luck getting the local number). We wanted A wheelchair accessible room, have a dog, drive a van pulling a car so wanted to check on parking. A very nice person at the 800 number gave me the local number. I spoke to Katie at the Richmond Hill Best Western and asked our questions. She told me an accessible room was on hold for a web site booking. She said she would check if it was available and would call back. Shortly she called and said the room was available. I then asked if she could reserve at the TripAdvisor price. She could not but told me to book it on line right away to get the room we wanted. I did book it and she called me back and told me that the booking went through and that we were all set. Her efforts amazed us! The hotel was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. The wheelchair accessible bath room was the best we have seen on this trip. Large shower with a built in seat (nice as it couldn't slide around). Sue and Dave W, Debbie R

« Clean, comfortable, friendly - and good coffee! »

Pulled-in late and the front desk receptionist, Leslie, was so polite and responsive. She asked me if I had AAA, AARP, or something else (it was late and I don't recall) before I had a chance to ask if discounts were offered. Our room was nicely appointed - beds were comfortable without being too hard or too soft - I felt like Goldilocks! The temperature was comfortable, no musty smells, etc. This morning the shower was easy to adjust, the water temperature, again created the Goldilocks feeling. The towels absorbent, the soap nice smelling without being over powering. I can't really say enough good about our stay. Oh, one last point - the coffee tasted like coffee rather than just hot brown water - YEA!!

« Reasonable Rate, Exceeded Expectations »

On the way to Florida late last Thursday I decided to just stop in and see if they had a room available. Katie, at the front desk, could not have been more helpful and courteous. When she learned I was by myself and they only had larger rooms available, she asked if I might be willing to stay in a 'special' room at a reduced rate. She even guided me to the room since it didn't have a number. I was very happy to find a slightly smaller room that still offered all the amenities of the other rooms. The bed was very comfortable. The room even had a mini fridge and coffee maker. The room overall was pleasant but some furnishings exhibited signs of aging and wear, no doubt a result of the room being former quarters for the maintenance man. However, and more importantly, the room was perfectly clean and fully functional. Next morning, the included breakfast was comprehensive and satisfying. The experience was enhanced by the industrious Elizabeth who busily kept everything clean and in order while remaining cheerful and pleasant! The overall experience here was very positive and further enhanced by the accommodating employees. Great employees, clean rooms and grounds, a varied breakfast, and a reasonable rate make this hotel an excellent value! When back this way, I'll definitely stay here again but I'll bring my dog with me! BKS 9/16-9/17 2016

    « Wonderful place »

Wonderfully clean . Well decorated ... And most conveniently located. Even the setting was grand!!! My only complaint being a swimmer that does laps is the pool, is that the pool was like an oversized jacuzzi .., but it worked well! Breakfast was okay ... But still ... All was clean and good!

Reserved with Michelle a couple of weeks in advance. She was very pleasant and helpful. Checked in by Katie, another very pleasant young lady that took the time to explain the amenities. According to card in the room it was prepared by Kelly. She obviously takes pride in her work. Room was extremely clean and well appointed. I left note of appreciation and gratuity. Checked out by Leslie - another first rate team member. THANKS

Another night on the road found us looking for a last minute hotel outside of Savannah. Good value, and a great location made this a good choice. It was clean, the staff excellent and there was a hot breakfast in the morning!

Outstanding service and comfort. I will definitely choose to stay in this hotel again. Very clean and spacious, Bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good. I enjoyed the pancakes machine. First time I see this type of machine They were delicious. . Personnel very gracious and helpful Spacious grounds very well kept to walk the dog. Even had to pick up after your dog. And to top it all off, they gave me a car refresher. What a nice gesture.

    « So Disappointed »

I have no idea how this place has such good reviews. The hallway smelled awful, the sheets were scratchy. The non smoking room smelled like smoke. The bed was lumpy and there were no cookies when we checked in. The noise from the other rooms was loud - but could not compare to the noise our ancient air conditioner made. Had I paid $50 for the room I would not be so harsh - but for over $100 a night I expected more. I had called and was promised a rollaway bed. I called when I made the reservation, I put a note on the reservation AND I called the night before and was told it would not be a problem. I even told the lady I would not be there until after 9pm - Guess what, no bed. Don't promise me something the day before and then act like it was my fault they cannot guarantee the bed. The main reason I stayed here was for the bed. The redeeming feature of this place was the breakfast. The staff stocked it well and it was plentiful.

« This hotel could use a remodel. »

Pros: the price for 1 room with a king bed, the bed was comfortable. Cons: horrible wifi signal. Apparently, it works best at 3AM when everyone else is sleeping. The room had this moldy but chemical small to it. The love seat in the room looked worn down and dirty. The bathroom was decent. however, there was a hair on a washcloth I picked up to use. I saw it when I unfolded it. There was some sort of tiny bug flying around in the bathroom. It was a quick decision to stay there as I was driving from ATL and needed somewhere to stay. The horrible wifi signal reminded me why I didn't like staying there anymore. The price is good but I will not be going back.

« Quiet, Clean, and Friendly »

Nice staff. Clean rooms. Quiet location Close to the interstate. Fast food options very near by. I would gladly stay here again. One slight negative: you can only turn right out of the parking lot and then have to make a U-turn to get back to the interstate.

    « Nice Stay »

We stayed here passing thru to go home from Florida. We became sleepy and just wanted to sleep for a bit. The lady at the front was sweet. The price was a bit much for a night but there is a check out time of 12 and that is the latest I have seen around in a while. The Breakfast was nice they have something for everyone. The indoor pool is a bit tiny and it was so cold in there but it was nice enough for a quick relax in the hot tub. I would stay here again.

    « Beware of $20 pet fee »

The hotel was great, service great, fairly clean. My only complaint is that a $20 pet fee was disclosed to me at check in. If I would have known there was a $20 pet fee I would have stayed at a Red Roof Inn, where they never charge for pets. Also, I feel a customer should be made aware of the fee when the reservation is made.

    « Friendly, Helpful Employees »

The employees at Richmond Hill's Best Western Plus cumulatively deserve a five star rating. The night clerk had a good sense of humor and tried to meet our needs. When traveling with a smoker, you don't get the fresh, clean smelling room that others get, but when asked for a deodorizer the clerk came up herself to spray the room. The lady who served breakfast made the beginning of our day a joy. She made a point of greeting everyone and keeping the breakfast items stocked and the tables clean. And the maintenance man was such a big help and had a great attitude as he solved our problem when our plastic bag froze to the mini-refrigerator's freezer. We didn't think to unplug it, but he did. In the morning, after checking out, I wanted to buy a picture frame, and the day clerk maintained her composure as the credit approval system went down, travelers were checking in, and I hovered waiting to make a purchase. In the end, I used cash, but she truly tried to accommodate me with what she had to work with. Because this hotel has such a tremendous staff, I would stay there again. I didn't give the hotel the full five stars, because I can't forget the disgusting cold slime that streaked my hand after pulling the soda bottle from the second floor vending machine. That was too much.

We visited this hotel when traveling to Florida to visit family. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was excellent. Room was comfortable and clean. Not too much really close to the hotel but good for a quick stop when traveling.

« Nice for an overnight »

My family and I were travelling from Orlando to Topsail Island North Carolina and this hotel was a midway point. The hotel was easy to find and is directly off the highway, which was very convenient. The reception staff were lovely and when we arrived at 6pm there were complimentary freshly baked cookies in the lobby and at 6:30pm there were complimentary nachos, salsa and cheese available for social hour, both were delicious. We didn't venture far for dinner, only to the McDonalds next door (which wasn't all that great) but noticed there were plenty of eating places around. The room and hotel itself is a little dated decor wise, however, our room was so clean and comfortable and extremely spacious with brand name toiletries in the bathroom. It also had a fridge and a microwave but we were only staying overnight, so didn't use them. There was a small indoor pool which we didn't use but could smell the chlorine along the corridor and nice rocking chairs outside the front door which was relaxing. Complimentary hot breakfast was served in the morning including pancakes, cheese omelette, sausage, bacon, biscuits, bagels, toast, cream cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit juices. I would stay here again and maybe visit Savannah old town as there is plenty to do there.

« Great Pet Friendly Place to Stay »

Always a great place to stay. Friendly staff, pets love it, nice breakfast, and the rooms are nice and clean! Easy to find off of I95, some very good restaurants nearby, and their pricing is reasonable. Lots of gas stations to choose from and easy access back on 95.

    « Good value »

We stayed here spur of the moment while we were traveling around the savannah area. They reception was polite and friendly. The room 218 was nice. The bed was so comfortable I didn't move the entire night. I slept like a rock. I used the computer business center and the gym which were both nice. The hotel must be animal friendly since there were several large dogs around, but I did not hear any barking. the breakfast buffet was very nice with ample selection. Very clean

« Great Place to Stop on 95 »

Stopped here overnight on the way to Florida. It was pricer than other hotels but we had no complaints at all. The room was clean and the breakfast buffet was among the best I've seen. Didn't have a chance to try the salt water pool but I wish we could have.

    « Liked it »

It is a really nice hotel for the right price! The rooms appeared cleaned, how clean no one knows. It is quiet. The only thing i didn't like about the room is the Windows/Wall AC units which are annoying. The breakfast was nice too. The pool is nothing specials, actually it is horrible and you can smell the bleach from a mile, Not sure if it is a true 3 star hotel but i can tell that they are trying! Would go again for the right price!

« Comfy night at Best Western »

Stayed at this Best Western overnight last week. This is a Best Western Plus hotel. There was a nice welcome tray with a bottle of Smartwater, can of Pringles, mini Tootsie rolls and cookies. Room very clean as Best Westerns are. Bed very comfortable. There is free wi-fi. Check in staff very friendly. Breakfast included and there was 3 types of cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs, breads, coffee. A very nice place to stay if you are in the Richmond Hill/Savannah area.

    « headed home »

After a ruff time in FL for death in our family we decided not to make the drive straight through to home. So, we booked Best Western in Richmond Hill, Ga. We have to say it is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Everything was fresh, clean and spacious. It has an indoor pool, workout room. Not to mention a hot breakfast in the morning.

« Very nice and cozy! »

Loved this hotel! It was a quick overnight stay and we enjoyed every moment. Front desk was super nice and helpful! Breakfast was good just ended too early. Very clean and welcoming. Only gave 4 stars because we were on 3rd floor and the window didn't lock or have a screen and we had a 1 year old with us so we didn't like that. Hotel did make it better by not charging us for our play pen.

    « Pet friendly comfort »

This hotel is clean and comfortable for an overnight stay while traveling. It is also very pet friendly for larger dogs. This is my second stay while traveling south to Florida and I would definitely stay again. A little pricey for just overnight but worth having a clean, pet friendly stay.

    « Perfect overnight stop »

We stopped here for a night on our way to Florida. We found the location to be extremely convenient to I-95. The hotel itself was clean and nicely appointed, with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, in-room fridge, no funky smells... The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. There was a small indoor pool to keep my kids busy between dinner and bedtime. Fresh cookies and nachos in the evening satisfied our munchies. The breakfast in the morning was definitely one of the better I've had at hotels like this, with a nice selection of hot and cold food. My daughter and I especially loved the pancake machine! And there wasn't just boring old syrup for the pancakes, but whipped topping and jam if you wanted it. I'm not sure when we'll be traveling this direction again, but I would definitely stay here if we do!

    5
    « Never Disappointed »

We have stayed at this hotel several times on our way up to visit relatives in North Carolina. It is always the same, and that is a good thing! Quiet, has a great breakfast selection and plenty of seating, including a picnic table right out back (facing a wooded area) if you want to eat outside. Bed was very comfortable. We usually eat dinner at a restaurant somewhere on the same road as the hotel, but this time we ventured a bit further to a Mexican restaurant (La Nopalera) which was quite good and reasonably priced, and still easy to get to and from the hotel.

« Nice clean hotel in easy to access location »

Clean, courteous staff, good breakfast, welcoming of pets. Quiet location with gas and food nearby. An oaisis during our long I-95 travels. The air conditioning was a little too cold but effective. Shower was clean but water temperature was a little difficult to control.

« Great Place to Stay »

Room was clean, cheerful and comfortable. The check in staff was excellent with a great sense of humor. When traveling south again I will look to stay here again. Value for the room was excellent. It was easy to get on and off the interstate. It was close to service stations if you need fuel.

    5
    « Convenient and Clean »

This hotel is perfect for travelers on I95. close to the interstate, clean, comfortable, and a friendly staff. Can't ask for more when you are a weary traveler! The pet fee was very reasonable and the dog treats offered at check in were a nice touch.

    « One Night Stop »

As always, Best Westerns furnish the best breakfasts. However, there were several things that could be corrected. More staff needs to be on duty during the hours from 8-midnight. There was a party with unruly children in the pool area after 9 pm. When we attempted to call the front desk, no one answered. As I went dripping wet to the desk we were advised that children were allowed until 10pm even tho the elevator sign was stating 9pm. No one did anything (the one person on duty). If there had been a television it would have been better but there was no service that evening due to a storm. I have been to other BW's and it seems the staff is very limited after 8 pm so this is parr.

« Wonderful Casual Vaca stay with Furdarlins »

We enjoyed our 4 day stay at the BW Plus Richmond Hotel. The Desk clerks, and staff were kind, and helpful with info for nearby business. Our transactions, Non smoking king with furdarlins reservations was fantastic. There were major reasons were selected this hotel 1) pet friendly 2) Indoor Salt-mineral water pool & tub 3) Hotel's outdoor back lawn charcoal lidded grill (bring own kit & tools or buy at nearby Food Lion store). We were not disappointed. Our room was clean, well made, non smoking, with clean frig and microwave. Only concern was the sporadic wifi signal strength, and the wall usb charging portal got really hot so, be sure to bring your own pronged charging cords. However, the Desk Clerk was helpful for us to use the Hotel's Business center's pc & printer so we could go online briefly for dinner plans. Breakfast provided was well stocked and attended, alternating bacon or sausage, pancakes, cereals, biscuits & gravy, mini cheese omelets, fresh grapes, and canned fruit of peaches, or pineapple. We enjoyed the indoor saltwater pool-tub with the nearby outdoor lg charcoal BBQ grill along with outdoor seating, picnic tables with umbrellas, loungers and back lawn with a large designated and supplied dog walk area. We had room 205 (2nd floor near the elevator rear/woods facing) it was less than a 2 minute walk from the room to the elevator to the rear lawn exit door to the dog walk area. Both guests and staff were kind, receptive, and approving of our 2 well behaved (experienced quiet travelers ) Boston Terriers, so our pet fee was modest.

« Perfect in ALL Respects for Us! »

Traveling with our larger and much-loved fur baby, finding the "perfect" hotel can be a chore. After reading many reviews searching for convenient locations to the general Savannah, GA, area, we settled on this Best Western Plus. We hit "pay dirt!" Not only was Jakie content, his parents were thrilled from check-in to check-out! Amy and the other desk clerks were wonderful and helpful in all our requests--including acquiring our linens after regular cleaning times since we're late sleepers. The Kelleys, always smiling and accommodating, never complained about our somewhat different schedule, and we stayed an entire week. We had requested a first floor room near an exit for our dog walks, and our request was honored even though we were late arrivals. The dog walking area was immense, and the hotel employees were extra kind to Jake. This was very important since this was his "first road trip." I would also say they were extremely patient with Jake who can be a little verbal at times :) The room was smoke-free and exceptionally clean, and there were more electronic connections in our room than I have ever encountered in my many travels. Cell phone charger outlets, lap top charger outlets, excellent WIFI and all conveniently located in the room. The fridge "freezer" even kept ice cream pints overnight! Parking was close and available at all times, and coffee was good and hot! The overall location was perfect to access Savannah and also McDonald's for breakfast when we slept late. Though we did not use it, many travelers seemed to love the indoor salt-water pool! Thank you, Best Western Plus, for making this trip for us at the top of our list in comfort and convenience!

« Very good stay - very clean »

This hotel was right along a major route - Hwy 17 - so it was very convenient. The rooms were clean and neat and the overall experience was a good one. My only hesitation was that it was very expensive, I'm not used to spending $149 for a hotel room.

    « Vacation 2016 »

This was a great hotel. Very clean, pleasant staff, loved having a 12:00 checkout. The breakfast had a good variety. I missed the afternoon social time it starts at 6pm wish we would have made it in time. It looked interesting.

    « Highly Reccomend Venue »

Wonderful pet friendly venue with an extremely professional and attentive staff. The motel has comfortable clean rooms and an indoor pool. The breakfast was wholesome and good proving both hot and cold items. All in all, this is very well maintained property where my wife and I were very pleased with our stay, and hopefully will return in the future.

« Best Western is Going in the wrong direction »

I stay at Best Western for the quality of the food, that they used to serve bacon and waffles every day, not just some days of the week. There used to be always 2 bottles of water in the fridge in your room free of charge. Not any more. I stay for the comfort of the beds, and pillows. It seems to me that some of the Best Western hotel's out there are not all complying with this anymore.

    4
    « Nice stay »

We were passing through and stopped here. It was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a indoor pool and spa. The only complaint I had about that is they need more ventilation in the room with the pool. The breakfast was good. They had a wide variety of stuff. It was a nice stop and provided everything we needed and more.

« Great Place to Stay »

My daughter and I and the grandkids were traveling to Florida and stayed here overnight. What a great place! No complaints about anything except lack of towels for 4. From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff..it was excellent service and friendliness! Very good breakfast too. And good coffee which is important for a coffee lover! Will definitely stay here again. Oh, and the kids loved the indoor pool!????

    « Very nice »

I loved this hotel stay- we were on our way through towards Disney and this was a great stop. The lovely lady staffing the breakfast was great and the biscuits were delicious! Our stay was on a floor being renovated- I didn't mind the construction- but the upper floor hotel windows that opened and without screens or safety devices installed was a little scary. My kids get up at night and I would hate to see an accident in a room. Other than that minor inconvenience- This hotel was way up to expectations.

    « Good experience »

I have recommended this hotel for someone coming from Cyprus. Itsa very pleasant place to stay. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Also, the Old Town Trolley provides a shuttle from the hotel which is very convenient.

« This play should not be called best Western plus »

I hate with a fiery passion roaches on the handles for the bathroom door. When we checked in the lady was nice however every other person at the front desk totally ignored us even to the point where my daughter was saying hello hello the three women standing behind the desk acted like we were all invisible. I will never return.

    3
    « Nice »

The hotel overall was ok, but my room had a really bad water leak from the ceiling above to go with the screaming children running back and forth as though they were on a drag strip. Restaurant selection in this area was horrible. There was the local bar / restaurant which I quickly detoured from. Had to settle for fast food which I never eat. The room was clean and the staff friendly but I won't stay there again.

    4
    « Comfortable Stay »

My husband and I stayed three nights the end of May while we were in town for business. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Room was quiet and the AC worked very well. The staff that we came into contact with was friendly. Everything seemed neat and tidy, however I noticed on the third floor that all the baseboards were missing in the hallway. Of course that didn't affect our stay, just the overall appearance. I didn't know that this hotel accepted pets and I didn't hear any. I did see a few people walking their dogs around the green areas in the parking lot. There didn't seem to be any designated area. I don't have a problem with dogs, but rather the dog owners who allow their dogs to go on the landscaping. I would also prefer, as a non smoker, that the smoking area be moved a little further from the front door.

    « Great hotel »

We spent Sunday night here. It is quiet, clean, room was spacious, beds are super comfortable, water pressure is good. very good selection for breakfast which is very good, and well kept up. Pool and hot tub were clean, I loved the hot tub my son loved to pool. Staff was very friendly. In the morning we checked because we were going to go to a beach in Florida. After a day at the beach we were going to head toward Tennessee we decided the hotel was so nice and quiet and a good nights sleep would be good before the long drive to Tennessee, so we came back here for another night and asked for the same room 225 as the night before. Again another great nights sleep, was a great choice to stay another night. I feel refreshed today ready to take the almost 8 hr drive. Only 2 complaints, 1. that for some reason the room was more expensive on Monday night than on Sunday night, only a few dollars more but still didn't understand that and 2 the maid came to our room at 9 am and we had not checked out yet.

    « We Shall Return »

Stayed at the Best Western Plus this year for the first time on our way home from Tampa. We are members of the Best Western Hotel Travelers Group but used our Georgia State Travelers Discount Booklet as we were advised it was the best deal . We were very impressed . Check in was fast and efficient with staff treating you as if you were paying the non-discounted rates. This is often not the case when using these booklets. The hotel was very clean with larger than usual rooms and washrooms. I would willing pay more for the later check-out and more spacious rooms Loved the salt water pool and spa, everything was immaculately clean. This hotel was one of the best of the BW Chain that we have ever stayed in and will return.

    « Comfortable Surprise on I95 »

If you're stopping in Richmond Hill this should be your place: immaculately clean, comfortable beds and pillows, attention of lots of details, and priced just right. Truly, I was surprised at a Best Western being this good. Check in, even without reservation, was just two minutes, the 3 staff people we encountered were friendly and interested in being helpful. All common areas are clean and well maintained (perhaps this is a new hotel), the free breakfast was above average, and they have special food treats & drinks at various times during the day. It's all very neat for $80/night. No need to look elsewhere.

« Nice clean comfy hotel »

    « Safe and Comfortable »

Whenever we pass through Richmond Hill, GA, we stay at this particular hotel. It is always clean, spacious, staff make you feel like you just got home. While we have had better breakfasts at some other hotels, this hotel has a good breakfast, especially the bacon, a big improvement over the former sausage patties. I did miss the Belgian waffle maker.

    « Graduation »

I was in town for a graduation. The staff was friendly and professional. The room advertised as 3 star but in my opinion it was only 2.5 stars. The price was reasonable for the area. You could hear a train nearby at night but it was not a problem for me. There was an incident of the day of departure. Attendant shows up in the room at 8am to say time to check out. called the front desk found out they had the wrong room.

    « Pleasant Stay »

We arrived at the hotel exhausted after being in the car for 8 plus hours. Check in was a breeze and we couldn't wait to get to our room and unwind. We had a slight issue with one of the card keys to get into the hotel, but the second one worked fine. Upon opening the door to our room we were pleasantly surprised by the size, decor and layout. It was a great room. It had everything that was needed plus more. During the night was were awoken by loud laughing and yelling at 2:30am. It lasted until 5am. We chose not to complain about it and see how our second nights stay was. The second night was quiet. There was a complimentary breakfast which was ok. Overall our stay was very pleasant and the staff was ver y helpful and nice.

    « As advertised »

Pros: Clean, convenient to highway, newer, refrigerator. Breakfast standard fare for this level hotel. Con: Paid higher than advertised price. Bed only fair quality. Usual lower priced hotel wall AC/heater hard to control. Small Square pillows.

« Amenities are not worth the terrible service »

I wish that I could leave a positive review of this property, but the staff has made that impossible. We stayed at this Best Western Plus on our way up to Washington D.C. to visit our dying grandfather during his final days. We booked the room through Expedia when we were a few hours away so as not to worry about finding a place. When we checked in, the desk attendant needed a credit card despite our already paying through Expedia - we assumed it was in case of any charges or damages we might make in our room, but the following morning our bank statement read that Expedia had taken out $109 to cover our room, and the hotel itself had taken out $90 for the same reason. When we went to the front desk to clear this up, the new attendant was utterly clueless and talked us in circles without explaining why we had been charged twice. She asked us to wait 24 hours for the charge to be returned to our account, and gave us a card to call desk manager Alicia in case it was not solved. We waited the requested 24 hours, and called the hotel the following morning when the charge had not been lifted. My mother was greeted by an attendant who went from playing dumb to giving her an extremely belligerent attitude, who would not transfer her to a manager and flat-out refused to even look into the problem further. She eventually said, and I quote, "I don't have to listen to this," told my mother to have "Blessed day," and hung up on her. Two days later, we have yet to receive a refund. When I return home from this trip, I will be contacting corporate about the issue, and I can assure you the Best Western Plus Richmond Hill will not be receiving our business next time we are in the area. Hope they all have a blessed day.

Very clean and quiet I would recommend to family and friends to stay and enjoy. The breakfast was well done with eggs and bacon and different types coffee. The price was fair and a great place to go out to dinner

    « Great Overnight Stop »

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on the way down to Florida. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Their breakfast had a lot of variety and was very good. This hotel had everything we needed and we would stay again.

    « Perfect stay. »

Great hotel for a night stay when driving north from Florida. Great service, good breakfast in the morning. The room has large comfy beds, microwave and fridge, everything a traveler needs. Unlike some hotels, this one still has a desk in the rooms, so you have a place to work or eat.

    « Pleasant stay »

Located very close to I-95. About 25-30 minutes from Savannah's historic district. Room was cool upon late afternoon arrival which is a plus for me. Room was very clean, even smelled clean. No frills, but comfy & functional. Breakfast was included and had the usual fare of hot & cold cereals, pastries as well as pancakes & bacon. Staff was friendly & helpful.

    « Great Hotel »

I'm happy some hotels still offer smoking rooms. I would stay at this hotel again. The breakfast was great they had bacon, eggs and home fry's. Also fresh fruit. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Thank you

« Great stopover on way north »

Was greeted by Dominic who was very pleasant and business like. We checked in and went to exercise room. My husband found the stationary bicycle to be non functioning. Dominic found new batteries, installed then, made sure the machine was functioning, and brought us towels! Dominic also suggested Steamers for dinner where we had a fine meal. The room was well appointed & bed comfortable. Only slight issue was slight musty odor of room. Good selection of breakfast items & snacks including afternoon cookies & nachos.

« Traveling through to the North East »

The motel is pet friendly , very clean , nice rooms , Also very pricey breakfast is OK but I have had better the surrounding motels are half the cost , most likely will not stay again due to the cost. The motel seems to be safe and is quite. Access to motel is confusing small sign by road entrance be carful

« Excellent stop over hotel »

Provided everything we wanted and/or needed in a hotel while on the road. They were ready for us when we arrived, provided free WiFi, breakfast, and a clean room with comfortable beds. Check in and check out were flawless and the staff seemed appreciative that we chose the hotel.

    « Nice cozy stay »

We stopped here traveling from Florida to PA after a beach vacation. We were exhausted and looking for a clean place to stay. This hotel met our expectations. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and we appreciated a late checkout time.

« do not stay here if you need a quiet place to sleep »

I am SHOCKED that the reviews for this hotel are so high! This is the noisiest hotel I have ever had the displeasure of trying to sleep in. I travel from PA to FL at least 5 times a year, usually staying in hotels similar to this, whether it be a Holiday Inn, Best Western, Hampton Inn, etc., mostly at about the same cost. After a long day of driving all I really want is a clean, comfortable, quiet room to fall asleep in. And, I must say this the hotel room I was in at this Best Western was clean. The bed was fairly comfortable (but what is up with the tiny square pillows?). I choose my hotels by looking at reviews on sites like Tripadvisor and, up until this hotel, have not been disappointed. Beware of this hotel if you need a bit of quiet in order to get to sleep or in order to stay asleep. This hotel is NOISY! There is a train that passes directly behind the hotel which will keep you up if you are unlucky enough to get a room at the back of the hotel. And, if somehow the noise from the train doesn't keep you awake, the noise from the people in the room above you surely will. I called the front desk to complain about the noise from people walking around in the room above me at 9:30 pm, midnight and again at 2:30 in the morning. The first time I called the woman who was on duty was polite and promised to let the people upstairs know they were keeping me awake. The second time I called, the woman said she didn't go to the room because she couldn't figure out which room the noise was coming from. I told her, again, it was the room directly above me, which must be the same room number as mine but starting with a 3 instead of a two (I was on the second floor). This must have been obvious to her, but apparently she was just trying to make it seem like she was going to do something about it, but was not. She promised again that she would let the people know that their walking around was keeping me awake. When I called at 2:30 in the morning to let her know the noise had not gotten any better, I suggested moving to another room. The woman said she would talk to the people again. I really did not want to have to change out of my pajamas, pack up and move in the middle of the night so I didn't argue. I asked the woman to be sure to make a note of my complaints so that I could discuss it with the manager the next morning and she agreed. The noise got better and I slept for a couple of hours until the train and the walking around noise from upstairs started again. At that point I packed up my things, got dressed and prepared for a long, exhausting drive with only 2 hours of sleep to keep me going. I stopped by the front desk to speak with the manager about what happened and was hoping to get at least a discount since I was unable to sleep. The woman at the front desk said that it was noted that I had complained 3 times about the noise from upstairs but that overnight desk clerk had gone upstairs each time and each time found no noise coming from any room. This was blatantly untrue and I told her that, but she did not seem concerned about my lack of sleep and then told me that I could not have my price adjusted in any case since I had booked on tripadvisor. According to her if you book on one of these sites you cannot get a discount or refund for any reason. Really? I was not aware of this. So, my only recourse is to at least pass this information on. This hotel is NOISY and if you want a good nights sleep find a hotel that doesn't have a train right in its back yard and paper thin walls and floors!

    « Great stay »

The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. My family was tired and grumpy from a long day of vacationing. Having a nice place to stay helped us relax and get ready for the next day of vacationing. The breakfast had a nice selection and they had complimentary nachos and cookies in the evening which I especially appreciated. When I was checking out, the person before me asked about a night gown she had left months before. The hotel employee cheerfully went to lost and found and returned with the night gown. They must have a very organized lost and found!

« Convenient, clean and comfortable »

Very close to the highway but road noise is not an issue. Clean large room with all the features you might need. Bed one of the most comfortable we have slept in. The only disappointment concerned the breakfast. Many options but food was generic and bland without any appeal. Coffee was not good. A good choice for a night but you might want to skip the breakfast altogether.

    4
« Nice place to stay »

We were in the middle of a long trip, and this hotel provided a good place for our family to get some rest and have a good breakfast. The only negative was that the parking lot was full and we had to drive around to find a space to park.

    5
« One of our favorites »

We have stayed at this hotel six times and it has always exceeded our expectations. The staff is excellent and the amenities are super. The complimentary breakfast is the best we have ever had at a hotel. The surroundings are very pleasant.

« Enjoyable stay at new Best Western Plus »

My husband and I (and our kitty) had the pleasure of staying at the new Best Western Plus on our way to CT from FL. The hotel is beautiful. Our suite was immaculately clean and well furnished. We were very impressed with the quality of service from hotel staff that we received while checking in/out and during our stay in general. We would not hesitate to highly recommend this hotel!

« Best Western Plus makes a difference »

In recent years we had pretty much given up on Best Western, since the properties and amenities seemed to be going downhill. This BW+ has changed our minds. The front desk was welcoming and helpful, with good suggestions for dining locally. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable (and my wifed loved the pillow!). The Wi-Fi hookup was easy. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices, food and coffee was restocked in a timely fashion and the breakfast room was clean. Check-out was simple. We will certainly be giving BW+ a second look.

    « "Best" Western »

Previous night had shared a room with my brother and sister in law--I got the sofa bed which wasn't bad--but they had to get up early to drive to Fort Lauderdale to catch a flight. I got up with them and had breakfast and headed home to Richmond after less than an hour on the road and having a problem with the car I decided I would try to get Savannah and get a hotel room to get some rest before I finished my trip. Had a great night sleep and was able to finish my trip the following day

    4
« Nice, clean, pet friendly! »

Wish I was there longer! The bed was comfortable. Everything was extremely clean. Pet friendly. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Wi-fi was extremely slow and cut in and out. The parking lot was completely full at 10:30pm. Not sure if the hotel was full at that point.

« Richmond Hill GA Best Western Plus, good breakfast »

An excellent Best Western, hot tub good, breakfast especially good. Apparent error with express checkout ... no bill was placed under our door, perhaps under the wrong door? WE have stayed here several times, always good.

    4
    « Pet Friendly »

The hotel is pet friendly, which is great. The breakfast is also pretty good. There were three juices --- apple, orange, and lemonade. There was oatmeal with brown sugar, almonds, and cranberries, as well as make your own pancakes. Two types of muffins were available, plus three types of bread for toast. The toaster didn't work well and my toast was black on one side and not toasted on the other. I spoke to the lady who was working in the breakfast area and her reply was that "we've been having problems with it." The omelets were filled with cheese in the center and were rather hard. Sausage was available. The biscuits were awesome!!! Coffee was available in many flavors. Tea and hot chocolate were also available. We slept pretty well until 4:15 AM when someone was in the corridor outside our door. They were speaking via "walkie talkie" and someone was answering. I suspect it was a security guard. It was really loud and disturbed our sleep. There's plenty of parking. The hotel had quite a few kids and they were enjoying the pool area. A small gym was also available. The rooms and common areas were immaculate.

    4
    « Family »

A vary nice for family stay, The amenities for a family are great. The staff was very helpful for ones needs. For Couples, Business & Solo stay, utilizes the top floor rooms. The lower floors have children running about, hence it will sound like a dace drum (THUMP, THUMP, THUMP, THUMP.....) over your room in the event your room in any room lower. Over all the experience was very good. Love the Pancake maker.

    « Bare bones »

This hotel was an okay stop for a night on the road. It was bare bones, had the necessary items you need for a night's stay, nothing fancy. We have stayed at several Best Western hotels and this one was our least favorite. Even the kleenex was of a lesser quality. Also, there are very few restaurants close by, not much at all close enough for walking as it is on a busy highway. On the positive side, the room was relatively clean, the staff was great (very welcoming and friendly), and the location to 95 good.

    4
« Good Service Lousy Internet »

This is a beautiful hotel and staff is great (Amy rocks). They had snacks out at night, and coffee 24/7. And not just brewed coffee but delicious latte types. The only downside is the internet. It was horrible. and you could hardly access it. I work on a webpage so it was difficult for me to do things. Pool and hottub are great, and so is the Staff. Amy rocks!

    5
    « A Little High »

The only thing which I can rate is the pricing of the room was a little high. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great. The room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location was back from the road and the noise was no problem.

    4
    « Quiet »

Considering its location on a VERY busy road, the room itself was comfortable and quiet. It had a very nice breakfast, including fresh pancakes----I'd never seen anything like this before. Finding the place was a bit dicey----it was in the middle of rush hour and the sign is beyond the driveway, and very small, so we drove right by. We had to turn around...no easy task....two times before accessing the road.

    5
« Two nights in Savannah »

Everything was just right for us; clean, efficient, internet was perfect. Fast check-in check-out. Breakfast was nice; yogourt, cereals, various bread types, ... We did not use the gym or pool; no comments. Hotel is close to highway and is quiet. We felt secure.

    4
« Very nice clean place »

I stopped for the night on the way back from Florida on my motorcycle, the place was a little pricey, but i was tired and cold, everyone was friendly, the allowed me to park my bike under the awning at the front desk, room was clean and fresh, breakfast was ok for a free breakfast.

« Our first choice when visiting our daughter »

This Best Western Plus was our FIRST choice when visiting our daughter and our twin granddaughters. If BWP had been fully booked this weekend, we would have considered another date for the trip rather than another inn. It's close to the interstate, close to our daughter and close to the restaurants we all enjoy..

    4
    « Great for Price »

Our second stay at this hotel and still impressed by value. Clean and friendly. Would stay again if in the area. Bathroom was large and clean but dated. Bed was a little soft for our taste. Cookies and appetizers servered in the evening we didn't participate but it smelled good and others seemed to be enjoying.

    4
« Nice but not worth the extra money »

I have stayed at many Best Westerns and they are always our hotel of choice if available. This hotel was lovely and the staff very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. However, I really feel that this Plus BW was not worth the extra money for the Plus. I have stayed at another Plus in Ohio and that one was worth the extra money. I am not saying this one wasn't a good stay but the value for the money was not what I thought it would be

    5
    « Last minute stay »

We drove as long as we could from NY to Florida and ended up staying in here in this hotel overnight. We had no reservations and a dog with us. The front desk was very accommodating. We got a suite for 109 plus 20 for the dog. The room was spotless had no odor to it from previous animals staying there. My biggest fear was bugs since all the reviews from nearby hotels complained about bugs. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was huge and CLEAN. NO BUGS we had room 315 pretty soundproof highly recommend staying there wish we had the time to stay longer to get use of the pools and gym. Of course free hot breakfast. !!!

    « Lovely Hotel »

Beautiful hotel in a good area. Good breakfast, great hot tub, beautiful room. My only problem with this or any other hotel in Savannah would be the State of Georgia. We will never stay in Georgia again unless we're forced to, as my rate of $72 for this great hotel ended up being $87 with all the ridiculous taxes and fees added on. I mean - SERIOUSLY - $15 in taxes and fees? Never again.

    4
    « Clean Place »

Best Western was great. Stayed at a Quality Inn the night before. Not a good idea. Will not do that again. Best Western was clean and safe. Traveled solo with my doggie. Was nice to stay in a reasonable price, little on the expensive side, place. slept sound

    4
« Stopped on way to and from Florida »

We found this BW to be a convenient location. The room was clean and the staff welcoming both in person and on phone. (Joyce?). The breakfast was plentiful and the area extremely clean. Our only complaint was the constant dripping coming from the refrigerator in 110-A. The first night we were on the 3rd floor outside the elevator and didn't hear a thing. We did report the noise. We went to a Scottish restaurant down the road and the service and food was great.

    5
« People and dog friendly »

This Best Western may be the nicest overnight stop we have ever had while traveling with our Black Lab dog. Right from the reservation call through to check out, we enjoyed our stay. It is clean, easy to find, well prepared for both species of guests. We will be back!

    5
« One night at Richmond Hill »

Very clean, well run, large breakfast variety, nice pool, large rooms, and close to highway. Staff was friendly and help full. Restaurants close by so you don't have to travel far after a long day on the road.

    « Great hotel »

Second time staying at a Best Western and I am impressed. I have tried other brand-name hotels but am now attempting to find only BW. Great staff and clean rooms. Comfortable accommodations. Love free WIFI and water.

    5
    « Convenient and friendly »

We stayed here on our way to Florida. The staff were really helpful, even posting a board of local restaurant reviews by guests and suggesting an appropriate place. Though we didn't check out Savannah, there was info in the room and lobby to help with that as well. The breakfast lady was very helpful and friendly. She even helped a young girl toast her bagel.

    « Satisfied But! »

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the past 4 yrs with my Job! I would have liked it a lot better except on Sunday morning my wife and I had a Visiter a ROACH a small one but it was there climbing the wall. Would I stay again Im not sure I would have to look a little closer my wife is a Germ Aphobe! Although they say the TV gets plenty of channels I found about 6 or 7 of them did not work at all. Did stay 2 nights for the AC system in my house to get changed out!

    5
« Best "Best Western Inn" hotel we stayed in »

Excellent amaenities, comfortable bedding, clean bathroom, and bedroom. We stayed in a standard 2 queen bed bedroom which had a table and chairs also. The only negative was the TV had only analog channel reception. Also the price was a bit high for off season stay.

    4
    « Good Value »

We booked this room on the road after a long day of driving. It was a welcome sight and we had a pleasant night. Steamers was recommended for dinner, and we had a good meal there. The breakfast was the usual fare but certainly tasty. If passing through again, we would certainly stay.

    « Great Experience »

Very Nice place to stay. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Staff were very nice and pleasant. We stopped there traveling from Florida to Virginia. We would definitely stop again our next visit to Florida.

    5
    « Would Stay Again »

Stayed here with reward points on the way back from Florida. Hotel was convenient to I95. Some of the room decor was a little dated, but everything was clean and the room was quiet. Staff was pleasant. Wish we had time to swim in the pool, but we had to get on the road. Breakfast was interesting, as it included french toast sticks, omelets, and a (very entertaining) pancake machine. Loved that there were peaches and oranges!

    5
    « Very satisfied »

When traveling with a pet, it is so important that you find a hotel that treats you and your pet with such kindness!! We found the hotel easy to get to from Interstate I-95, room clean and breakfast very good......will definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

    5
    « Very Nice But $$$ »

My fault traveling on a Holiday weekend. It got to be 9:45PM, started seeking a place. They were only one with two rooms left at about 130.00, plus $20.00 per pet (snuck in two for one). Staff was nice. Room in very good condition. This is not an "overnighter", better to stay a couple of nights to take advantage of the exercise room and other stuff they have.

    4
    « Recent Stay »

The staff and overall appearance of the hotel was exemplary. The location is convenient to downtown Savannah and has a variety of eating places in the immediate vicinity. Right off the interstate which makes any easy traveling stop over.

    « Family Vacation »

This was our second stay in the Savannah area. The day that we checked in, the staff was not friendly at all, which was a turn off. Then we entered our room and we were not impressed. The carpet in the room was dirty and stained. I guess this came from previous pets being in the room. I was ready to go home. If we didn't live far, we would have. We previously stayed at other Best Western hotels and the rooms were much better than this hotel. We went to get breakfast the next morning and the pancake machine and toaster was not working and they ran out of food. During our first day, we returned to our room and our room was not cleaned. We had to clean our own room and asked for fresh towels and washcloths. I did report this problem and our room was cleaned, but not to our satisfaction. There were still old towels and wash clothes in the bathroom and trash not cleaned up. The only day that our room was thoroughly cleaned was our last day, which Tonya cleaned our room. Nacho and cheese is offered from 6:30-7:30. There were nachos but no cheese. I went to the front desk to inquire and I was told that it starts at 6:30. It was 6:29 and I waited while the staff members was having a conversation with a coworker. She finally came out and place the cheese and salsa on the counter around 6:40. Again, the staff was not friendly and unprofessional. The pet cost was $20.00 per night and that is expensive compared to other hotels. This location is near 95 interstate and approximately 20 minutes from Savannah. The only reason we stayed at this hotel because it was dog friendly. We will not stay here again. We will leave our pet at home and stay in Pooler next time.

    « Pretty and Clean »

We have gotten smarter in our travels, and book a hotel while on the road. We were lucky to get a room here as they book up fast! We got a handicap room which made for a wonderfully large bathroom. After being in a tiny cruise cabin, this was heaven. The room was exceptionally clean and you can not tell they allow pets there whatsoever. Breakfast has a lot of choices but gets very crowded and the breakfast attendant (Indian descent) is very very unfriendly. I made a point to find her tip jar because it was so busy but if she even addressed guests at all, I think she would make a lot more tip wise. All in all I would stay here again.

    4
« Clean Pet Friendly Hotel »

This hotel is very clean and extremely pet friendly for travelers with larger dogs. Would recommend and definitely will use this hotel again for future trips heading to and from Florida. Convenient to highway and easy to find.

    4
« Good service, clean and dog friendly too »

Spent 3 nights here during Christmas. Front desk, breakfast and housecleaning staffs were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fare was typical free breakfast stuff, but a good variety to choose from. We had our dog with us and had a room on first floor convenient to a side door and the pet walking area behind the hotel. Upon check-in we did have to initial and sign a long list of dog dos and don'ts, with some hefty fees associated with the don'ts should your dog misbehave, cause damage or you fail to control and pick up after the dog while outside. There are plenty of eating places nearby.

« Got here and my room is not available... »

December 25th, driving from Florida, after 4 hours, my family is exausted and we are happy to arrive in our hotel for the night. We made a reservattion and also said that we would arrive between 10:00 and 11:00pm, but our room is not available. The Hotel is full and we have no place to go. Terrible experience.

    5
« Great resting spot but Georgia is a bit different on Sundays »

This was a great hotel for what we were looking for. Clean room, great service from the check in staff and an above average breakfast offering. Something some of you should be aware of. When we settle in for the night we buy small bottle of rum for a nightcap. Apparently you can't buy liquor in Georgia on a Sunday anymore. So pack accordingly.

    « 2nd leg of Florida trip »

The Best Westernin Richmond Hill, GA has very good accommindations. Rooms are comfortable, good showers, friendly staff. Would stay here again. It's close to I95, area restaurants and shopping is not that far away.

    « Nice hotel »

Nice Hotel just off I-95. Great for an overnight. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. Breakfast included is ok. Very reasonable rates. Various restaurants in area. Would stay again.

« Great place to relax »

Great hotel with lots of extras for families such as board games in the lobby. Nice outdoor spaces to sit and relax or enjoy your breakfast. Clean, well kept and quiet. Would recommend to friends or family

« Very dog friendly - and convenient »

Stopped here with my new dog on my way to Florida. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room. Loved the set of extra outlets on the bedside table! I have a CPAP machine and am always looking for an extra outlet not too far from the bed. Plus need them to charge my phone, etc., these days. There wasn't just one, but 3 outlets and 2 USB ports. This little extra amenity added a lot to my satisfaction!

    4
« Pet Friendly and Convenient »

We travel with our dog to our winter place every year. This is a regular stop for us. The price is affordable, and the hotel and grounds are appealing. It's also very convenient to I-95. This year we had a minor issue with the carpet being dirty in the room. That's the first time that's happened to us at this hotel. It wasn't bad enough to make us change our plans for next year however. There is also a lot of room to walk our mid-size, high energy dog here, which is very important. There are many food joints nearby, and they have an extensive restaurant directory in the room. Good location, few frills, pet-friendly and inexpensive.

« Great Place to stay in Richmond Hill, VA »

The hotel was clean and the room nicely decorated and comfortable. This hotel is extremely convenient to I-95 and MANY dining places...anything you would desire either within walking or short driving distance. Highly recommended.

« Absolutely the best place to stay in Richmond Hill »

We have been staying at this Inn for more than ten years. Now that it is a Plus BW, we noticed a very obvious upgrade in services and amenities. The breakfast is very good. Still would love to have Almond milk option for cereal. However, the quality of the food offered is good. We have a pet and the receptionist was pleasant and welcoming with our pet as well as us. We will continue to stay here on our trip from NY to FL and back.

    « Great value »

This location is about the half way point between our home and relatives in Lakeland, Florida. We were so satisfied with our stay on the way down, we booked again coming back. Excellent value with a very nice breakfast included. Easy on/off of Rt. 95 and several restaurants in the immediate area for dinner.

    5
    « Wonderful hotel! »

This was my first stay at a Best Western PLUS hotel. I've stayed many times at the regular type Best Westerns in the past. The difference between the two is well worth the extra money. The added room amenities, the luggage carts and the breakfast menu were wonderful! I will always look for a BW PLUS on future trips. Highly recommend this chain.

    5
    « Quick Family Stay »

My family and I have stayed here twice before (whilst traveling south to Naples, FL and upon our return last December). This time we drove down without stopping, and paid for it with exhaustion. Our return trip home included a one night stay at this location. With two dogs, and one teenager in tow, my wife and I were very grateful for the hot tub after a long car ride. The proximity of several restaurants is a great boon, and the ease of checking in and out was a pleasure. This will place will be a regular stop on future travels South to see family.

    « Repeat Visitor! »

I for the second time found myself driving north on 95 and stopped at this Best Western Plus for a second time. It was just a great as the first visit. Super clean room and bathroom, staff was friendly, and the beds, and bath towels were really comfortable too. The shower had excellent pressure and was nice and hot. Parking lot is lit and felt safe, and even though the hotel is close to the highway you could not here it. We visited this hotel with our dog and it was no problem. The puppy when in our room could not hear or smell other dogs which was a good thing for us. We couldn't either but it was more important that she couldn't since her ears are better. They also have a nice area to walk your dog too. Breakfast was your standard hotel hot breakfast but also had this really nifty pancake maker which I enjoyed playing with. Overall if I find my self needing a hotel room in this area again, I will stop here! Who knows if that will happen again though, but the hotel is really really nice.

Pet rooms have adjoining doors and not very soundproof ones at that. $20/nite/pet is high compared to most competitors. There is better value out there. Asked not to have receipt slipped under door in middle of nite....but to no avail. Woke everyone up.

« Great customer service and overall appearance. »

Our daughter had a gymnastics meet in the Savannah area. We decided to stay outside of Savannah I am very happy we did. This was an excellent hotel and staff. Front desk clerk was extremely friendly, room was clean and breakfast was great!

« Personal service & spotless property. Breakfast was awesome! »

My family stayed at your hotel Oct. 20 on the way to Florida. I have to commend your employee ?Flor?. She is truly a quality individual and was genuinely interested in each quest having just want they needed and enjoying their breakfast time. Additionally the area was laid out very well and spotless! I had travelled many places domestically and abroad and Flor is one of a kind. Please be sure to give her a pat on the back! She represents your hotel supremely?!

« Great place to unwind »

Picked this spot specifically for pool and hot tub after long drive. Nice location and had microwave and fridge. Both mgr and gal who checked us in very friendly and accommodating. Rooms clean and bed /pillows great. Nice breakfast provided with lots of spots to eat. The gal that was in dinning area was so friendly and interacted with everyone coming in. She projected a like my job and was nice to see. Think her name Flora. BW lucky to have her.

« Probably our best stay! »

This was probably our best stay at a Best Western. The Staff was very competent, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was extensive and well presented. We also enjoyed the warm cookies at check-in and the nachos offered in the early evening. Thank you Richmond Hill for a enjoyable stay!

« Mixed feelings on this one »

While on a recent trip from Va to Fl, we stayed overnight at this hotel. There was a slow moving line at check-in. There was only one clerk and the computer system was down. The person in front of me was in line for the third time as they had been given the wrong room twice - wanted 2 beds and they were twice given a room with one king. We finally got checked in. The website advertised pillow chocolates, icecream 24/7, and fresh citrus. Well the chocolates were tootsie roll midgies, the icecream were bars for sale, and the citrus was a drink dispenser with something pink in it! There was water and snacks in the room - at a cost of $4 EACH. The wi-fi didn't work. There were no full sized pillows on the bed - there were square half sized pillows. Never saw anything like that before. There was foot noise from the room - actually sounded like maybe there was an elephant up there. The breakfast area was dark. There was a small amount of lighting above some areas of the breakfast bar, but the rest of the room was dark. If you walked into the lobby, you'd never know the breakfast area was open because of the darkness. The same person that worked the front desk was working the breakfast area. On the plus side, the location is good for restaurants. There were rocking chairs out front. Of course, the view was the parking lot and entrance, but still, it was nice to have outside seating. Other than the lack of a full sized pillow, the beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean.

« Excellent Stay for the Price »

The staff was extremely friendly, the room was very clean and seemed like a newer hotel. When I read there would be a continental breakfast I expected much less. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotels in Savannah were either full or overpriced due to a marathon in town. This was a great option. If staying in Savannah isn't important then this hotel is a good alternative

Staff were helpful and friendly conversed with elderly and encouraged them. Fun stay, would have loved to stay another night. Handy to have everything near the hotel. We ran Capt. Freedom 5k at JF Gregory Park, we loved this Park. It's the Best kept secret in Richmond Hill.. We enjoy breakfast food too.

« Clean rooms good service »

Rooms were very clean, arrived to find our a/c was off and the room took quite some time to cool. Front desk offered some free snacks for our trouble which was nice. All rooms come with mini fridge and microwave, beds were comfortable as well. Bathroom had no fan which was a little strange but otherwise it was a good stay. Breakfast was nice as well, bacon, omelets, biscuits, etc. staff did well at maintaining food area and it was very clean.

« Do not understand why it got a "PLUS" designation »

It's an average hotel with average facilities. The room was OK, nothing special. The deodorizer or room freshener was a bit overpowering. It was an average facility, with average rooms. The breakfast consisted of pretty low quality items.

    « Fun Family Time »

My family and I had a great stay at this hotel. The breakfast food was very good, the staff were the friendliest I have encountered, the room was clean and well maintained during our four night stay. We will definitely stay here again if in this area!

    « Welcoming »

From the first steps in to the last steps out it was welcoming. Everyone was helpful. The rooms were very clean the showers water wasn't as hot when the seconded person got in but was still warm. The breakfast wasn't big but still had a lot to choice from. The pool is small and doesn't get very deep and the bubbles aren't strong but was nice and Warm. Would stay again.

    « A great Best Western Plus »

We stayed here to break up a trip from PA to FL. We will definitely make this a stop on the next trip. When we walked in the young lady at the front desk was friendly and efficient. We were given a room on the third floor. The bathroom was clean and large with the typical amenities. There was a microwave, fridge and a coffee maker with coffee, creamers and sweeteners. The bed was very comfortable and there was a couch and desk, as well as a dresser with a flat screen TV on it. The WiFi connection on our floor was not very good. That wasn't a problem for us as we never unpacked the laptops. There is a business center downstairs where you can get on computers if needed. The free breakfast was good, and againg the staff very friendly. There was a small gym and pool, neither of which we utilized. I highly recommend this Best Western Plus for your travel.

    « We scored a huge discount! »

do not overlook state welcome centers - they are treasure troves for hotel discounts. The Best Western in Richmond Hill's rates are $119, we got a coupon for $64.95!! BINGO!! It was a terrific Hotel, super clean, friendly and efficient staff, special thanks to Alicia Mixell. The room was spacious, the bathroom was large and did I mention it was clean? We scored a terrific hotel for a bargain basement price. We will definitely be back.

    « Primo Best Western »

We stopped here on our most recent road trip. We were greeted by a lovely person at the front desk. Friendly and professional. Our room was clean, neat and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Lots of selections at the complimentary breakfast in the morning. Close to restaurants.

very pleased with this hotel, quiet, comfortable and friendly. unfortunately there are few places to eat in the area except a Southern image place---no foods except the salad bar that are healthy eating.

« Best Hotel in the Savannah area »

This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. The staff is friendly, courteous, handles problems diplomatically, and is helpful with places to eat, things to see in the area and travel suggestions. We have stayed here several times over the past few years and have always found it a very pleasant, restful place. The breakfast is always hot and delicious. There is always coffee available in the lobby 24/7 and freshly baked cookies at 6:00 p.m. There is adequate space to eat breakfast no matter the time, and staff to replenish the offerings as needed. We will continue to use this hotel whenever in the Savannah area. We hope that you will also.

    « Unexpectedly nice. »

I haven't stayed in a Best Western in over a decade, haven given up on concrete walls and bad beds long ago. With no other options we hesitantly booked here. What a delightful surprise this turned out to be. From the comfortable beds to the clean, well appointed bath, every aspect of our stay was wonderful. The complimentary breakfast was good. The staff was professional and helpful. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. I can highly recommend this hotel.

    « Spotless. »

I'd be surprised if it came any better for $79 plus tax: Good size 2 queens room with enough sockets and USB connectors to hook up all our gear, well equipped oversize bathroom, fridge and microwave. Welcoming breakfast room with an above average selection of hot and cold breakfast goods PLUS an extremly helpful and friendly waitress. I can only recognised this place.

« This is where we will stay whenever in Savannah »

Last year we stopped at the BW Plus Richmond Hill Inn while on a road trip. I am a rewards member so I just called the 800 number and said we needed a room in Savannah for the night. Our experience was so good we have decided this is where we will stay whenever we are in Savannah.

The staff are fantastic!! Have stayed at this location before and they go out of their way to ensure that the experience is the best possible. They treat you like family (in a good way). Highly recommend this location.

    « Pleasant »

Conveniently off of I-95. Pleasant staff with a welcoming attitude. Decent breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. Pet friendly too! Highway construction causes traffic delays during the week. Priced moderately.

    « Rough Night »

I booked this room online. Upon arrival the lady checking me in was absolutely amazing! Kind and helpful the room was mostly clean. The pillows were like little throw pillows, we were on the first floor very loud. And the air unit kept me up all night !!! That a long with the barking dog upstairs. If ever in the area again I'm sure I'll be staying somewhere else. Also the snacks left for the guest is way overpriced!

« Old Hotel with new paint and trickey pricing »

Not sure what the Plus is for but this is an old Best Western with new paint. Bathroom still has the old hotel mold and old nasty carpet. I booked online with a discount site and somehow booked a smoking room that was not list in the title just that it was the lowest price. Because they charge less for smoking rooms was forced to pay $10 a night to upgrade to non-smoking. Yeah a smoking room that is less expensive a neat trick by Mr. Patel. Other booking site show that the nightly difference is only $3 a night. Also to get back on I-95 requires a U-Turn and while you are doing that find another hotel or any other hotel really.

Having attended High school overseas this venue was chosen for a High School Reunion. The location was convenient to drive into Savannah for site seeing. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you Richmond Hill Best Western Plus

    « A VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE »

We chose this hotel for a one night stay based on a discount coupon we received at the GA Welcome Center and were very pleasantly surprised! This was the first time we'd used this hotel chain and were impressed with the friendly, professional staff, the clean, well-appointed rooms bright bathrooms and a/c units that actually worked! Bed pillows need some attention - they are very small, but other than that we were very comfortable. So much so we stayed here on our return trip also!

    « Richmond Hill BW »

I love this hotel and have stayed here a number of times. Have never had a complaint. If you have pets, this is the best place I have found on the I95 corridor between Pa and Florida. And the breakfast is great! This place has everything anyone would need.

« Perfect Last Minute Stay »

While driving to Savannah we hit an unexpected downpour and decided to get off the road. We searched TripAdvisor and found the Best Western Plus #1 rated in Richmond Hill. Since it was 8:30 at night we did not expect to find too much but the staff at BW was extremely accommodating. The room was quite large, clean, and beds were comfortable. Would highly recommend for an overnight stay.

    « Good Choice »

An excellent choice, great hotel. Its just off interstate 95 with several restaurants nearby. I had a great nights sleep on a clean comfortable bed. This was my first time staying at this hotel. Its away from the highway so I didnt see the hotel at first. I like a quiet room and this is it, great location. Nice, friendly, helpful staff and a good breakfast. My room internet worked well. I will be back Best Western Richmond Hill Ga.

« Great hotel and "Superb" customer relations skills »

After researching online for about 1 hour, I decided to choose this hotel. Once arriving from Orlando, FL to the property, I knew that I had a made a great choice. The receptionist (Nedra) was extremely wonderful with her professional customer service skills. She was very informtant and covered all basis of the ammenities that the hotel had to offer for our pleasure. She even let me and my girlfriend check the room out prior to checking into the hotel to ensure that we were satisfied. I had booked the room through hotels.com and a King smoking room was booked accidentally instead of non-smoking. However, I can honestly say that she went above and beyond to ensure that me and my girlfriend was totally satisfied. The room was great along with all the other ammenties. This hotel was very clean, nice, quiet, and close to I-95. If there were more individuals like Nedra (Extremely friendly, courteous, and professionally), more businesses would definitely get better reviews especially in the customer service area. Lastly, I would definitely stay here again and without a doubt recommend this hotel to friends and family. Darrin

    « Friendly people »

along with a very clean room, great breakfast and great atmosphere made our 6 night stay such a great pleasure. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the whole hotel. Also the sheets and towels were a higher quality than in a lot of other places we've stayed. The bed was so comfortable that we enjoyed a great nights sleep after a tiring day of sightseeing.
