For its class, this hotel can't be beat. Very clean and stylish bathroom. The entire room (and bathroom) looked newly renovated. The management maintains the hotel well. For example, carpet cleaning was taking place on the main floor during our stay. The fitness center had a lot of high-end equipment; I enjoyed using the elliptical machine. Breakfast was more than adequate; lots to choose from. And the price was a real bargain. This was our second visit to this hotel, we will definitely be returning.
Arrived at 4pm. Easy check-in. The staff was friendly very helpful with the A/C unit in the room. Extremely clean and comfortable room. Very spacious room with a walk-in shower. Plenty of towels. Helpful advice on great local restaurants. Served a big and delicious breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Never even checked in. When we pulled up there were several shady people loitering around the parking lot. The parking lot was poorly lit and we had great concern for our safety. We left immediately and stayed closer to Bluffton. We called the hotel and Best Western customer service to see if they would refund our 1 night stay. They were not pleasant and emphatic that I was not going to get a refund. This lesson cost me $200. The lesson being read all the reviews very carefully. Subsequently we learned that the hotel accepts vouchers from the county to house people on a long term basis.
The room, itself was more than adequate; bed was very comfortable, room was clean; all items worked in the room. The AC was inconsistent and did not keep a constant temperature. The breakfast was far less than previous times we have stayed at this BW. Most things were cold that should be hot, not presented very well; no clean up where needed. in other words, the presentation was not monitored, as it was previously. The desk clerks in the am were not friendly and didn't offer to assist. The evening clerk was adequate and at least smiled. We have stayed at this BW twice a year, once in June and again in September, in the past as we traveled to and from Florida to Maryland and back. This was not a memorable experience as far as breakfast was concerned. Perhaps the ownership has changed???
Great stay! We stayed here with our pets during our move to Florida. We got a double queen room. Super clean, fresh interior, staff was friendly and very accommodating. The beds were unbelievably comfortable temerpedic type mattresses. Nice sized bathroom. Convenient refrigerator and Keurig in the room with pods creamer and sugar. And the breakfast buffet and the morning couldn't have been better. What a nice stay and great way to recharge our souls as we continued our 1000 mile move. Thanks again!
perfect location off I95, close to Savannah without the hassle of the crowds and traffic,,property is VERY clean and feels new, all systems worked perfectly, breakfast was a nice offering of hot and cold foods,,all staff was pleasant, helpful and efficient,,LOVED the pool!
The room was musty and damp and grungy. The desk clerk was slovenly and indifferent. Undesirable long-term tenants were staying in the hotel across the hall. Breakfast was low class. Derelict buildings next door and no convenient restaurant nearby.Definitely would not stay there again.
Manager Danny refunded our reservation that we were unable to honor after internet booked the wrong hotel. After a difficult game of phone tag, he was able to connect with me and make things right. It could have been user error, but I think the Internet booked the wrong location. Manager Danny helped me out. STAY HERE.
We enjoyed our stay! The room was very clean, smelled clean , and it was very quiet. The room was large and roomy! Only issue was the exit door did not lock. Staff was very nice and accommodating. We traveled with our dog and they have a nice area behind hotel for them. Would stay again .
This place was great! It was very dog friendly. There was a nice area in the back for the dog. Breakfast was good. Check in was fast and smooth. The entire place was very clean. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend this place.
This was a very nice best western hotel. The check-in was easy. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of options available. We will stay at this best Western again.
Property has roaches in room. Staff was friendly and caring but cannot expect roaches in room. Property looks good from outside but interior needs pest control.
Friendly staff but hotel was pretty average. Smoke alarm in room was disconnected and rug felt dirty. It might be because we had a dog with us and we were put in a pet “friendly” room.
Traveling on 95 we took a chance at this Best Western Front dest were so helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable Breakfast was good
We stayed in a double queen room one night on the way to Florida. Check in and out was easy and they were friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Pillows were abundant and comfy as were the beds. There was a full breakfast with a variety of choices that was good for the most part. The area was kept clean and food was refilled quickly. We were on the interstate side of the building and you could definitely hear it, but it didn't bother us. The only small negative thing was that the plugs on the lamp between the beds didn't work. The best part was the money we saved staying here instead of the one we usually stay at in Richmond Hill, GA 30 minutes down the road. We will be making this our new place to stop on the way to Florida.
Room was spacious - beds and pillows were very comfortable. A/C was nice and cold. Plenty of room in the bathroom - appreciated the step in shower instead of a tub. Looked to be either brand new, or a complete remodel - would definitely stay there again!
No housekeeping in 4 days dirty towels in a mountain.. got them myself in the open store room… manager pretty much said i was lying because she marked it was cleaned.. I told him to come look .. he brought more towels and said ill give you 45$ what a joke!
The hotel smells, both in the hallways and in the room. The location is terrible - skip this exit. No restaurants, terrible supermarket. Nothing Best Western can do about that. The breakfast was below average. The pillows uncomfortable and the television remote was squirrely.
The maids just pop the sheets here (meaning they do not change them for every guest). I found the same long black hair in the shower and in the neatly made bed along with chip crumbs. The room smelled like cat pee, the door didn't lock, the TV was broken, and the manager (both days) was wearing sweat pants and a baggy t-shirt. I'd avoid this place. I'll also add that the entire building smelled like weed and the clientele was suspect. I worried about my car getting broken into while I slept.
Traveled to SC for The Heritage golf tournament. Nice location for the shuttle service for the PGA tournament parking lot, about 20 minutes away. The breakfast was hot and tasty. The hotel staff are very welcoming.
This property is very well run and maintained. The rooms have been recently remodeled and the beds were very comfortable. A great pet friendly property. The breakfast was excellent and they have a great coffee machine that makes latte and cappuccino.
Adi is a great desk person. Nice interior of the hotel and rooms. Excellent breakfast, with a larger number of items. Convenient and safe location. Good price. No smoking. Quiet hallways. Convenient location near interchange on I-95. Near Pilot Travel Center, with good gas prices.
Clean, updated rooms, plenty of breakfast options and an easy on off from I95. Genuinely relaxing stop on our travels! Our dogs had plenty of room to walk around behind the building and we heard very little noise.
This hotel is clean as far as hotels go. Big plus. It is relatively quite, second big plus. You do hear traffic on the road, as you do in any hotel near a highway. Much of the hotel seems to have been renovated, but with odd touches. As in they renovated the furniture by painting what I'd say was tinted varnish on the gouges. No biggie, just something you notice. Also the new curtains were put up without pressing. Not the best idea if you're trying to instill confidence that as management you do a good job. Breakfast was better than many hotels. Word of caution- be sure you know what your dinner options are in advance. There aren't many choices, and the one recommended by the front counter was closed at 6:30 p.m.
Stayed at 3 different BWs on a road trip and this was the best, the eggs seemed real not powdered or frozen. Friendly staff. Quick to come up and show us how to use TV. Place was clean, beds were comfortable
the hotel is easy on/easy off access to highway. several restaurants nearby. room was clean. pets welcome and a safe place to walk them very good breakfast incuded in room rate. You wont leave hungry.
This was our first time staying at this location. Highly recommended! Very clean with comfortable bed. Quiet during the night. We were traveling with our little dog. Easy access to outdoor area for her.
We would return. We got just what we requested: a King suite. In the comments section, we wrote “pet friendly” and checked in with our dog with no issue. The room was large, attractive, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was very good, with a large, walk-in shower and plenty of good towels. Breakfast was adequate but disappointing. Rubbery eggs, good bacon, gravy, potatoes, and a lot of unhealthy white foods. Folgers coffee (eh), unripe bananas, and red delicious apples, which I didn't try.
When it became obvious we would have to stop on our trip for the night due to traffic, I dreaded finding a place to stay. I looked for a brand I knew delivered quality and affordability in the past, so I went with Best Western. The stay was extremely easy to book, check-in (even with a full lobby) was fast and efficient, and the rooms were spotless. The kids absolutely loved the hot breakfast! There was plenty of parking, also. Excellent experience all the way around. The rooms were quiet and comfortable.
This is a very pleasant place to stay. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Try the restaurant "Taste", within walking distance, great food! Beds were comfortable, and though close to a freeway, there was no highway noise. Excellent!
Stopped here while driving from South Florida to Philly-area. Staff was friendly and we were greeted as rewards members with bottled waters. Rooms were updated, breakfast had hot & cold options. Didn't use the pool. Good for a stopover on a long drive.
We arrived late after a full day of travel to our prepaid hotel. Very good check-in. Entering the room, we noticed there was a smell but we were tired, and since animals are accepted, brush it off on that. The next day, we discovered water damage and mold on the wall. So that explained the smell. The breakfast the next day was usual and plenty. So pay a little more or make sure you have a newly mold-free room.
Great place! Close to Savanna. Good breakfast - lots of variety and selection. They welcomed us as Rewards members and gave us bottles of water. We love Best Western hotels because of the perks. They always have high standards.
I found this Hardeeville SC Best Western Plus Hotel to be comparable to the Hampton Inns I have utilized during our 14-day road trip. The room was updated and more spacious than any offered by other hotels, the beds were very comfortable, the breakfast bar had a good variety of hot and cold foods, and best of all - it was priced considerably lower.
Stayed one night on the way to Hilton Head, requested a dog friendly room. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is until 9, it would be nice if they extended those hours until 10 on the weekends.
I was very warmly greeted and check in was fast and painless. The room was clean and appeared to be recently updated. There was very stylish and comfortable furniture. The room was very quiet at night. I had no problems whatsoever. The desk personnel were always kind and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
AC was broken. The room had water damage and smelled. When I made the reservation over the phone with the manager, he never told me that they were having water issues we got to the hotel, and only found out about it from another guest who was leaving because he couldn't take a shower because the water was dirty. This is totally unacceptable, we should have only had to pay half the rate, but they gave us no discount. It was too late at night to find another hotel. I will never stay again.
Wonderful hotel, big, comfortable room, lovely big pool, and polite staff. Extremely clean. Very comfortable bed. Fairly quiet air unit. Great breakfast. Good location. Highly recommend. Would stay here again.
Found this hotel after having difficulty finding a room that was pet friendly for larger dogs. Room was clean and comfortable, exceptionally quiet considering every room was taken and tge morning breakfast was one of the best provided in all of our stays during this trip. Will definitely return.
First impression was good…room was large, attractive and smelled fresh. The one bug in the shower was not a deal breaker. Sheets were rough and the handle on the cabinet door in front of the refrigerator came off in my hand. On closer inspection we saw the room was shabby in a few areas. Even the wheel falling off the luggage cart didn't deter us, we were that tired. The final straw was the barking dog next door that woke us at 5:00 a.m. and no offer of compensation. Any hotel allowing pets should keep them and their fleas in a separate section of the building…and this is coming from a dog lover. Never again.
Pros: Quick check in and pleasant reception Quick access to I95 Large clean room Room was recently updated Heating/cooling a little noisy but adequate Microwave/fridge Comfortable bed and clean sheets Cons: Pricey for this hotel Lobby area has overwhelming fragrance smell Lack of restaurants Elevator pump noisy a little disconcerting Thin walls could here other guest coughing Highway noise We didn't use gym or see pool so can't rate them. We stayed 1 night passing through. It was ok for that purpose only. Fortunately there wasn't many guests so it was quiet but I could see it being noisy with lots of guests.
Honestly there isn't much to choose from between Savannah and Charleston if you want to take a break from the crawling hell that is I95 traffic in SC. Based on some of the reviews I was hesitant to book, but ended up with a decent room for a 12 hour stay. Oddly the bathroom seemed updated and were sufficiently clean; but the rest of the decor was just dingy and tired. Didn't see any evidence of bedbugs or other insects (I checked, thoroughly). The outside space was cute - the pool area had nice loungers and dog walk area was cozy and nicely landscaped. They have put effort into exterior landscaping. Three things however grossed me out - (1) the decrepit adjacent hotel, which looked like it had squatters living it (you can see through sliders into the rooms!) (2) the state of the housekeeping area (one of the doors into the laundry area was open and the inside looked like a literal sweatshop, soiled linens everywhere, one sad looking employee picking through) (3) The worst - a trail of what appeared to be fairly fresh human excrement running down an exterior wall in the back dog walking area. My impression of the whole place: Kinda nice on the surface but don't look too closely. With that being said, I'd probably book again if traveling on I95 with family and pets. Would NOT recommend for ladies traveling alone or security conscious travelers.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Hardeeville, South Carolina last night after traveling on I-95S and moving at a snail's pace in bumper to bumper traffic for over an hour. We had to get off the highway when we were at a dead stop nearest this exit. Other nearby hotels were all booked. This Best Western Plus was our only option and we were told that there were just 3 rooms left. With other weary travelers in the same situation waiting behind us we took a room. $199. Room charge with a $20 Sr. Rate discount applied. We opened the door, turned on the light to see first one - then two cockroaches scurry under the bathroom door. We made the front desk aware of this and other concerns about the room. Over an hour later the desk clerk and another hotel employee knocked on our door holding a can of bug spray. The gentleman agreed that we shouldn't have roaches and when I showed him the dirty and trash worthy desk chair he agreed that I should speak with the manager about the issues including (dirty carpet, stains on bedspread and general lack of care to the room). He was very polite and I felt sure that notes would be left for the manager outlining my complaints. He apologized that he couldn't do anything about a refund… the manager in the morning could. With no where else to go we stayed. We were not comfortable with the accommodations, got up early and brought the matter to the attention of the manager Kyle. He says “roaches are something that workers bring in!” Whatever that means? Did he mean to say that roaches are just a part of their accommodations? This gentleman did not have “Hospitality 101 training” apparently. He was only able to give a $60 credit after I pushed the issue. He offered nothing more, no apology and no acknowledgement that my concerns should be addressed. I asked to speak to the general manager. He gave me this man's business card and handed me his phone to hear the voice message that this person could not be reached. He didn't leave a voice message to ask for a more acceptable credit so I did. Guess what? No call back from the GM who was supposed to be reachable by phone. The situation was made worse when the desk manager became argumentative and told me, “You're not going to tell him what to do… I'm a grown man!” He was angry and he got up and walked away telling me to call whoever I want! So… that's my story. When I reach my final destination I plan on reporting this issue to the South Carolina Board of Health and AAA. I'm hoping that cockroaches in SC hotels are not acceptable and a check of this Best Western Plus Hardeeville Inn's cleanliness should be reviewed. I would also recommend some Employee training for the staff regarding their handling of issues guests bring to their attention.
Had a very good/great experience. Clean, obviously renovated property. Great service, even when very busy due to terrible traffic on 95 amid the southwest flight debacle holiday 2022. Free breakfast was great. Only complaint was the sofa bed in our king "suite". Mattress on sofa was AWFUL. Could feel each spring poking through. Would be an easy fix.
Close to highway, Clean, friendly staff, comfy beds. Breakfast was ok. Get down early if you want to have choices. pull out bed extremely uncomfortable. lots of grass area for dogs. would stay here again.
For sure 5 out of 5 My wife and i had nice time for short stay clean room no problem warm we will come back again. You just need to have a few more pillows and towels .out side of that great place to stay price was reasonable. Safe location no issues nice.
Needed a travel midpoint stay that was dog friendly. I called a "nicer" resort and they wanted $200 non-refundable pet fee in addition to the rental rate, taxes and other fees. FOR ONE NIGHT. I gave this one a shot, the lady who took my reservation was nice and professional. The pet fee very reasonable. Check-in was easy and staff nice and professional. The room and bathroom was clean. The sheets were older but clean. Not a single dog hair anywhere. Breakfast was fine and coffee good. SO, me and my pooch will definitely be staying here again!
The bed and pillows were fluffed but not changed. You could tell someone slept in it and hair was in the bed as well as all over the bath room. They had me view a suite that was a joke so I went to another double bed and still dirty fridge not cleaned with stains. Completely not as advertised. Outdated as well.
Unadvised charges to my credit card, a filthy room (leaving the review directly thru the Best Western website which doesn't allow me to upload photos) and a crap breakfast to boot. Never again...I'd drive an extra 100 miles to find a better hotel next time I travel with my small pet.
I usually enjoy my stays in Best Western, this one was thankfully only one night. Noisy, dirty, appliances not working. Took a long time to check in. The only thing that was good was the breakfast. I don't think the room had been cleaned. If it had been it wasn't cleaned well.
This was the worse motel we have ever stayed at! We paid $175.00 for an overnight stay and the carpeting was soaking wet due to their washing machines overflowing, there was cigarette smoke throughout the motel although it's supposed to be a smoke free campus and there was dog pee on the bedskirts. It was beyond gross.
This wasn't the best Best Western we've seen. We had stayed here once before and was very pleased; however, this trip (for an overnight stay) was not at all pleasant. We had a room on first floor which was convenient to the breakfast area and away from interstate noise and NOT near pet rooms. The AC seemed to be 'set' on one temp. Could not get the AC to change nor fan to run on low continuously. That was the good part. The other part: The TV remote was difficult to operate without instructions in the room and front desk didn't answer phone after several rings. The shower in our room had a 'wet floor' the next morning and we had NOT used the shower at all. The ceiling above looked like it had a leak before. The breakfast area was not maintained nor any attendant. Had to request coffee to be refilled. The biscuits were cold, and the scrambled eggs looked 'runny'. It did have cereals and milk and waffles seem to be available. Also the breakfast area is small. We stay at Best Westerns a lot and this time this was not the Best.
The mattress was comfortable and it seemed very clean but odd odor in room. Made it difficult to sleep. It looked like an old hotel that had some cosmetic changes but a lot was still needed to be done. I suspect that there had been water damage that was not entirely remediated. In all fairness I am extremely sensitive to odors and for others it may not be noticeable. Nice breakfast was available.
For an overnight stay on a road trip this stop was fine! Easy access to the highway and Tesla superchargers were .3m from the hotel. Price also included breakfast. Breakfast was your basic scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon and coffee. I would not book this hotel for a prolonged stay!
It started with being understaffed, the hallway and elevator being hot, then in the room and the refrigerator did not work, dresser drawers dirty, faucet only luke warm and slow (never got cold), gym sucks not like pictures on website (only treadmill worked, not tv or other equipment, no dumbbells'), one maintenance man/desk clerk was very rude to my husband, shower floor slippery. Only thing good was water pressure of shower.
We had a very nice visit at the Hardeeville Best Western Plus in South Carolina. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and the employees were extremely kind starting from our check in with Hannah to meeting the Owner, Katel and the Supervisor, Kyle. Our room was very very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again if our next trip was along that route!
The staff was friendly. When we got off the elevator the whole floor smelled like Weed. Funny seeing as the sign at check in said 100% smoke free guess that doesn't count. There was a live roach in the closet and the air conditioner didn't put out cold air. Definitely will NOT stay again.
There was mold in the bathroom, stains on the bed skirt, chewed up baseboard, the ottoman was dirty and the room was not very clean. The workers were not real friendly. One would have to coax them to have a conversation or ask a question. No where to eat dinner for miles around. It rained and there were tin gutters that made a horribly loud noise. Impossible to sleep!!! The manager was very nice. However, he came to us at the end of our visit when we were packing the car. We did not have time to deal with the situation at that point.
Decent hotel for a one-night stay. Room was clean, bed was comfy, breakfast was great. King room had a fridge and microwave which were nice. Front desk staff was ok, could be a little more personable. Hallways needed vacuuming but carpet was all nice, no stains or tears. Overall I would stay there again.
Did not know this was a pet friendly hotel. If I did I would not have stayed here. But the barking dogs is the least of it. I am paying over $200 for a hotel that should rated a 1. Hmm, let's see. The elevator has no sir conditioning at all, in SC. The hallways air is broken. Only one person working in the entire hotel. So when we got to our room after walking by the barking dog at 10:30 pm and found the following there was no one to help. 1. Bed 1 had either blood or makeup on the blanket. The sheet had some sort of stain on it. 2. Bed 2 had sheets that have not been replaced in years. It was all pulled and had hoped in it. One of the pillows had a stain on it. 3. A piece of the curtain was talking down. 4. One of the pillows smelled like someone's greasy head. 5. The phone was broken. Why did I stay after all this. The hotel was sold out, I had two other parties with me and had no car. This place is disgusting. I have never stayed in a hotel no put in a review like this ever. I will be reporting this to the Manager and Corporate headquaters. I will be asking for a refund.
We arrived on our way home from Vaca and we had booked thru another online site, that site charged me, but never reserved the rooms. The front desk staff made it right!! Breakfast was good, hot and cold options. Very nice shower. The bed was comfy. Would definitely stay again
I was really happy to pull in here after a long day of driving. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was great. I felt it was very good value for the rate and most important was clean and provided a good night's rest.
The room was clean and comfortable enough for us, with microwave and mini-fridge. The hotel appears to have been refurbished somewhat recently. It is very close to I-95 and highway 17--convenient for travel, but a little noisy when traffic picks up in the morning. They serve the standard type American breakfast (waffles, cereal, eggs, muffins). Customer service was VERY poor, though. We had to get our room key reactivated every day when we returned. They don't provide housekeeping service unless you specifically request it. We were not informed of this upon check-in.
Only room available was for handicapped. We probably paid an upgrade for it but should have been given a downgrade. Room smelled of cleanser, sink was backed up with sludge. I freed it up with a clothes hanger but it was only barely opened. Bathroom walls were banged up by wheel chair use on corners. I would not recommend this facility to anyone unless they were desperate!
After reviewing pet friendly hotels N and S of Savannah, I chose BW Hardeeville for its great reviews and wasn't disappointed. Room 212 looked clean, smelled great and hotel interior looked like recently refurbished. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom clean and towels fluffy. Breakfast offered hot eggs and bacon but took only coffee. Only fast food and small local restaurants nearby. Nearby old hotel detracts from comfort level.
Nice and clean. We stayed for 2 nights. The faucet in the bathroom was loose and not properly placed so that it splashed you every time you used it. The beds were comfortable, but not re-made after our first night's sleep. The breakfast was good with a nice variety. The staff was OK, but not very friendly.
We went into the lobby to inquire about availability. The lobby felt pretty shabby and run down. While we were there, a woman came in pushing a shopping cart full of garbage and empty beer cans that smelled awful. She talked completely unintelligible gibberish to the desk clerk who sat stone-faced the entire time. She then proceeded to push her cart towards the guest rooms. She obviously lived/stayed there. We left.
On a planned bus trip. Called 45 minutes prior to our arrival with 2 bus loads and was told they're ready for our arrival. Upon arriving at 8:45pm no rooms keys were ready for anyone. I won't elaborate on everything else because everyone on the bus handled it well. My room personally was nice except the air didn't work so it was hard to get a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good and the poor guy who checked us in was still there fixing our breakfast. Upon returning to my room to gather my bags I spotted a “creature” climbing down the wall. SMACK! I just hope his family and friends aren't around.
We were happy to be able to get a room at the last minute at a decent price when our car broke down. The dealer said that we might prefer to go to a different area for the night but we wanted to be close. The best western appeared nice on the outside and we found it comparable to the other BW we've stayed at. Despite being right off 95 it was not noisy. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean, the bed was very comfortable. We were happy with our stay there.
Called the hotel direct to check availability, was told that there were plenty. Made reservation online through Best Western website (not a 3rd party site) as i was hanging up. Received email confirmation at 9pm. Recieved phone call from hotel at 1107pm that my room was no longer available and they were canceling my reservation. Super frustrating! My guess is someone came in offering more money then my reservation was for my room. Left my family and I driving over an hour out of our way just to find a place to sleep after driving 8 hrs already.
I booked this stay online. The reservation staff indicated that a King room with a sleeper sofa was available. I asked about the sleeper sofa and was told that it would be the size of a Queen bed and the sofa bed is typically made-up in advance. I was also told that there should be extra bedding in the closet that would include pillows and blankets. The sofa bed was not made-up in advance and no bedding was in the room to be able to make up the bed. I was not impressed that the room accommodations were not prepared. It also seemed that the hotel was under staffed seeing as it was a holiday weekend.
Staff and rooms were excellent. Stopped for the night traveling from Florida to Charleston. Tabitha at the front desk was the best I have ever came across. Breakfast was excellent. great selection for both hot and cold items.
Good hotel in a good location. Right off the highway and a 20-25 min drive to Savannah and Hilton Head. Big clean room, good internet and breakfast. With a pool but we didn't use the pool. Seems like they have some long term people who stay there so one night it was loud in the hallway with seemed like a party going on between multiple rooms. Staff was friendly most of the time.
This hotel is the only "luxury" choice in this area. All the other hotels are budget or economy offerings. The complimentary breakfast includes waffles, bagels, yogurts, juice, and a hot offering like scrambled eggs each day. There is an outdoor swimming pool. The location is directly off I 95 and is an easy commute (about 10 miles) into Savannah. There are fast food restaurants in close proximity. Better restaurants are about 8 miles away at Okatie, toward Hilton Head. The room was modern and clean.
Air conditioning didn't work properly and water pressure in shower was awful. The pool area is not relaxing as it abuts a very busy highway. There were people at the hotel hanging around that looked homeless or under the influence. We will not stay here again.
The building is beautiful. The rooms are well appointed, modern with sleek elements. The breakfast room is cleaned and we'll maintained. However, there are not many food options outside of a Waffle house and perhaps a buger joint. Nevertheless, it's less than 45 minutes from Savannah which has An Excellent selection of tasty eats. Oh, one last thing the entire hotel is Smoke Free! I will return!
Very clean!! I travel with my pet and its extreamly important to me to stay in a pet friendly hotel that has the highest standerd when it comes to hygiene. I was truely impressed with this one. Helpful and friendly staff , reasonable rates. Convenient location, right off interstate 95 , close to amenities. I would recomend this hotel.
Excellent: Our rooms were clean, great walk in shower, comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was great sausage patties, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, bagels, bread, honey buns, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, three types of cereal. Good WiFi They are doing some renovations but not noisy and this place will be even better the next time we stay here!
They advertise this as a new hotel. It is NOT new. It is clean and basic, but it is an old hotel that has been cheaply renovated. Walls have unfinished and unsanded spackle on them where holes may or may not have been. Parts of walls were not painted. Bed was hard and sheets were very rough and uncomfortable. Breakfast offerings were lacking and coffee was absolutely undrinkable. When stopping for overnight stay, we are not picky but this place was really mediocre. I am not sure how it gets such good reviews. Leads me to believe other hotels nearby are really bad. For quick overnight stop it is adequate but basically not any better than that.
When traveling I am looking for clean and comfortable. The Basics, Not Plush. I am not moving in, just catching a nap before I continue my journey. The B W in Hardeeville meet all our needs. We were in the area for a two day Baseball Tournament. The Large, Clean and Comfortable Room provided for us to get a hot shower and a good nights sleep. It is an older hotel and there are signs of remodeling in progress. It was Clean and The price was good,
Our go to stop when driving to Florida or for a quick visit to Savannah. The hotel and rooms are always clean. It's convenient right off of 95. It has nice well lit parking lot and they accept pets. Always have an excellent experience here.
Looking for a hotel in I-95 driving from FL to VA. Saw good reviews for this Best Western PLUS, and I am a BW rewards member. Price was great, room was lovely, location was perfect for us. Staff was nice and the breakfast was great - many tasty hot items. Looks like some renovations are in progress.
I have stayed at a lot of BW in the last 10 years and this one fell short of the mark. As a BW Plus, I expected the rooms to be a little more upscale. The mattresses were older spring mattresses. There are places on the walls in the room and comon spaces in the hotel that had been spackled, but not painted. The hot water was a little warmer than luke warm. There were some stains on the bed skirts/curtains and burn holes on the sheets. There was an airfreshener in the room that was very overpowering, while the smell was pleasant, I had to unplug it, asit was making my throat burn because it was so strong. It felt like it was a older hotel that had been remodled, but not finished. If you are pulling a trailer, you would need to enter the hotel parking lot from the gas station next door, as the main driveway in is very narrow. Overall, the hotel was fine, I just expected more form a "Plus" hotel.
We stayed at BW on our trip to Florida. We needed a handicap room and traveled with a pet. They accommodated all of our requests. Tabitha was on the front desk and was a pleasure to check in with. We will definitely choose to stay here when traveling through this area again. It was easily accessible from the highway and met all of our needs.
Choose this hotel because of its rating as well,as it's proximity to I-95 and we were traveling with our two retrievers. The room was very clean and didn't seem like it had any evidence that it was a pet friendly room. The breakfast was better then expected! Many choices for any taste. Both hot and cold buffet style, fresh and very tasty. Coffee was excellent as well as the bakery items choices.. The outside area for pet relief was very large and easily assessable especially from first floor rooms. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling with or without pets!
Just hope you arrive and people are in a good mood. The hotel is nice, clean and I would have had no concerns to report. Check-in and Check-out was not necessarily a good thing. Due to a short stay as I was in urgent travel for military reasons, I did not take available any of the amenities. I can't state any opinion on food, shower, internet or anything else.
Looking for a hotel in I-95 driving from FL to VA. Saw good reviews for this Best Western PLUS, and I am a BW rewards member. Price was great, room was lovely, location was perfect for us. Staff was nice and the breakfast was great - many tasty hot items.
The hotel was clean, employees helpful, overall stay very good. Room was clean and plenty of room for us and dog. Black lab. Wasn't much space for dog walk but it will do. I would definitely stay here again. Convenient immediately off of 95 South.
The Best Western Plus Hardeeville Inn & Suites is a clean and comfortable hotel. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable, and I could not have been more delighted to find a large stand-up shower rather than a bathtub in the bathroom. The full breakfast offered hot and cold options that would suit any palate. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback to this location is that the town of Hardeeville has few restaurant options.
The hotel is easy access off I95. The room was adequate. Clean and spacious. For being close to the highway, it was nice and quiet. The pillows were not the greatest, thankfully I brought my own. The internet was extremely slow. I mentioned this in checkout so hopefully it gets upgraded. I did not utilize the breakfast area.
Kyle and his staff provided an affordable, comfortable stay for my husband, elderly parents, and me. The handicap accessible room met their needs prefectly and conveniently located near the lobby. The hot breakfast was a welcome change from what most hotels are offering these days.
Have stayed at this hotel a half dozen times over the past months. Relatively new property, has a nice dog walk area, excellent breakfast with helpful staff & normally clean guest rooms. This particular stay was marred by a pile of dog poop in the corner of the room. Obviously, the staff that was in charge of certifying this room's availability needed to do a better job. But the desk staff & next morning's desk staff were caring although did nothing to rectify the situation. I cleaned it up myself. This event does not lessen my recommendation of this hotel, I will stay here again & often when my travel dictates.
Rates are better if you call and reserve than online. Clean, comfortable room with great included breakfast options. Friendly staff. Close to interstate. Easy hop on and off hwy. Fair price. Pet friendly
Good 1/2 way stop from Philly to Orlando. Easy access/egress to I95. Cheap gas next door. Area is not fancy but these guys try hard ! Very well maintained motel, hard working staff with great attitude and a nice pillow top… what more does one need!
We booked 3 rooms here at the last minute fir our Grandsons Marine graduation. We got three rooms together on the 1st floor and the rooms were in good condition. The front desk staff was very accommodating to our needs and even allowed us to use the breakfast room for a family dinner. Overall a good experience.
This is a great spot and I would definitely stay here again. What I liked best: This hotel allows customers to control the temperature of their rooms (unlike many others who now limit customer ability to lower the temperature or run the fan continuously). What I liked least: The included breakfast was mainly carbs, but that is pretty standard for this type of hotel
Checked in during heavy Thanksgiving traffic. There was a 20-minute check-in line, but the desk staff were still friendly and efficient, and the room was really nice. The pipe under the sink leaked, but it didn't cause a problem for me, and the desk staff told me they would fix it as soon as I let them know. Overall, excellent stay, everything was very nice, and it was a relaxing break on a long drive.
Dependable service, clean rooms, very comfortable beds, excellent bathroom and glassed in shower are nice touches above and beyond the usual. They now have a full breakfast again with eggs, etc. The manager seems to be very attentive to what happens at this hotel. Some of the carpeting in hallways is a bit shabby or stained, but for the price, this does not affect my review. Inexpensive gas station right next door for fill up when you leave in the morning.
Close to the interstate, easy on, easy off. Clean, attractive hotel. Good size room, comfortable bed, very nice breakfast. Front desk manager was friendly and very helpful, he recommended an excellent local Mexican restaurant.
The hotel was new and very nicely done. The overall experience was very satisfying. I'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling and want a nice, not too expensive stay on their journey. The breakfast was hot and delicious. AND a good variety of offerings.
This newly remodeled Best Western is a cut above your average motel and Best Western. The rooms are spacious and tastefully remodeled. The breakfast is great with eggs and bacon and two different types of pancake mixes (including blueberry). Thanks Kyle for doing a great job in keeping the breakfast fresh.
The moment my son and I walked into the room, we smelled dog! I always check bathrooms, bed sheets and mini fridge in hotels. The bed sheets had dog hairs, ceiling had rust stains and there were live roaches everywhere! I took videos of a roach on the wall, another on the floor and then there was the mini fridge… OMG!!! We went to the receptionist and she said all she could do was give us another room… next door to the one we checked into! What!?!?!? OK, we thought, let's see… of course, we took videos of that room too, roaches everywhere!!! When I asked to speak to the hotel manager, she gave me his business card. He had the audacity to asked if I was “just complaining about a couple of bugs” and even proudly said that he had just booked those rooms out! Absolutely a shameful!!!!! Don't stay here!
Pleasant front desk staff. Beautiful bathroom, but spigot is not far enough into basin and shower head is too high. Somewhat noisy, but bed comfy. A/c unit thermostat is on wall instead of on unit and is a little unresponsive. Tast bkfst, if unhealthy, and was a little slow in preparation. Couch in suite needs repaired or replaced.
We had an overnight here in our travels and was pleased with the overall stay. Kyle checked us in a little slow, however, he was quite busy and by himself. Very courteous even with the added pressure. Our room was clean and very comfortable, close to the lobby, convenient for the free breakfast and to the free parking areas. The breakfast was the usual fare for motel breakfast and we were satisfied with choices. Location is nice; conveniently located off I-95 and one exit away to HH area and more restaurants.
i booked this hotel for a one night stay on my drive down from new york to florida. the hotel was clean and all employees were wearing masks. room was spotless and plenty of hot water. food choices are limited since i didnt explore the area since i was only staying one night and continuing to florida. only small issue was breakfast was not restocked after a large group was done eating. but could add more choices . will reccomend staying here again with no issues or problems like other reviews. AAA+++
The hotel's common areas are very clean as was my updated room. Comfortable room to wind down after a busy day. Stayed three nights since location is very convenient for exploring region. Felt safe as a solo woman. Friendly, helpful staff.
Scratches like no care to finish properly, ran out of eggs halfway through breakfast, refusing to fix more, bacon paper thin and tasteless the front desk was excellent, but finishing touches need done. Our desk had been sloppily revarnished on front edge. Breakfast looked good, but no eggs at 7:30 and tasteless bacon not good
Excellent location to explore Hilton Head Island, Clean, excellent breakfast, helpful staff. Traveling from UP of Michigan to Florida. Road weary - this was a refreshing place to stay & convenient to 95.
...and my first impression of the Best Western/Hardeeville was … fair-to-middling. The positive points first: My room appeared to have been updated recently; its décor and furnishings and color scheme were all contemporary. The bathtub had been removed and replaced with a spacious walk-in shower. All the staff I encountered were very pleasant and eager to help. But. The hallways were not air conditioned. At all. Very noticeable on an 80+ degree day. Neither was the fitness center. And the treadmill acted like it had not been serviced since the shutdown 1.5 years ago. Either the motor or the belt itself or both were very much in need of adjustment; it did not keep an even speed, and that is risky to the user. Signs were posted asking that guests wipe down the equipment when finished…but there were no disinfectant wipes to be found. Also in need of service: The convector or air conditioner in my room. It rattled loudly every time it clicked on. I am not a brand loyalist; and when I choose a hotel for a scheduled trip, I consider a combination of factors, including price and location. In the future I will also try to determine the age of a property.
Clean , modern rooms and very helpful staff always on duty. Breakfast excellent with several hot items and plenty of cold to choose from. The rooms had very comfortable beds with plenty of pillows. The room actually looked new. I travel several times a year going back and forth from New Jersey to Miami. I stay at this hotel often. In fact the past two times I got the exact same room. I have stayed at many over the years. Best western the best deal by far!!!
The accommodations were clean, nicely appointed, and we had plenty of towels… This is a definite yes if traveling with a pet. The breakfast was on par with other chains. The coffee was extremely good. And the location is directly off of I-95 for easy access. Highly recommend.
I stayed here for 5 nights, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Beaufort area. Most of the hotels directly in Beaufort are of poor quality. This is a clean hotel. The interior of the hotel appears to be new/ remodeled. The hotel attendees were all so kind and welcoming. I can tell that the employees took pride in their service and accommodating their guest. The air condition system in the room was nice and cool, and the inside of the hotel smelled clean and fresh with good air quality. They also provided a variety of options for breakfast.
This Best Western is a clean, modern facility. When I arrived, My companion was handicapped in that she is on Oxygen 24/7. Unpacking the car was going to be difficult for me as I have a back issue. Tabitha was so agreeable and helpful, I was overwhelmed. She was very kind! The rooms are comfortable with great beds. It was clean smelling and neat as was the lobby. Do yourself a favor and stay if you're in the neighborhood! It's also convenient to I 95!
Kyle, the manager was extremely helpful, friendly and an all-around wonderful employee. When Expedia did not change my reservation, although I had a confirmation from them, he was quick to assist. Room was very clean. Stayed one night. No complaints. Kyle was a gem!
This was a great find along Interstate 95. It looks like its brand new. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. Great shower with plenty of hot water and great fluffy towels. By the way, the rooms have shower stalls not tubs so be aware. There is a good hot breakfast with plenty of different options. It's conveniently located off I 95. We stayed here twice during a recent road trip and were very happy with both our stays. Definitely will return here.
This was a great price for a very nice place! Room was very clean, bed comfortable, all newly renovated, large shower with plenty of hot water, towels, toiletries. Wifi and Tv good. I Nice breakfast with hot/cold food. Staff friendly. Right off I95.
This was a last minute find to fly out of Savannah. Front Desk staff Raj was so friendly. Everything was clean: lobby, hallways, our room, breakfast room. Was on first floor did not use elevator. Breakfast was plenty hot food (no grab and go). Pool was open and clean. Safe location. Would stay here again. t
This hotel was very nice. Close to 95 so convenient for travelers . We were staying in the area for two nights and needed a Pet Friendly hotel, so it worked for us. Room was very nice and a nice pool.
There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel. The cleanliness, breakfast, staff, linens and towels were great. Lauren at the front desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I travel by car from Florida to New York twice a year and will definitely Italy m,ale this my stop of choice both ways. Wonderful experience.
We arrived at our rooms and there was no toilet paper in either room. Picked up the phones in both rooms to call front desk and lines were dead!!! Thank god we really didn't have a real emergency! No ice! The small side tables in one room were dirty. Seems someone ate and left crumbs and garbage on table and no one cleaned room before we arrived. We found a black bandanna by the windows, obviously no one had checked the rooms for cleanliness before we arrived. It was such a horrible experience after driving from NY and hoping for a good nights sleep. Instead we were met with lack of toilet paper, no working phones and garbage and dirty things all over. Such a horrible experience. Your online pictures don't reflect the state of your facilities. Very very disappointed. We expected a lot more for the overnight price!
The amenities and particularly the breakfast at this BW location are excellent. The grounds are meticulously cared for. Pets are welcome; however, separate pet fees are charged for each pet. The staff is efficient and welcoming.
Very nice and convenient, a little tricky getting back on 95S. If you are traveling south take a look at the situation in advance if possible. The room is very comfortable, I will definitely stay again. And they're pet friendly:-)
Everything from check-in to check-out went well. Lauren on the front desk worked to get our two rooms close. Rooms were spotless. Only thing missing was a channel guide for the DirecTv service. Breakfast was hot and plentiful: eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy were the hot offerings, plus all the normal cereal, toast, bagels, etc. We did have a small issue with a dog barking continuously in a nearby room. The owner had left the dog unattended, which is a violation of the hotel's policy. I complained to Lauren, and she immediately took action. The owner was contacted and returned. All was quiet after that. Kudos to Lauren and Kyle for their friendliness and concern for our - and all other guests - comfort and satisfaction. Would stay again.
I'll be honest I wasn't really expecting much since I knew it was a pet friendly hotel. I am happy to report this is going to be our go to hotel while in the Savannah area. It was recently updated, very clean, the rooms were huge. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, bacon, waffles, danishes and a variety of other goodies. Make sure you get some food before you get back to the hotel. There is not a lot of variety close by.
Bring your dog Excellent dog run fenced in for large dog to run Hotel was clean and comfortable but basic. Quiet too Breakfast same as other hotels like this Nothing exceptional except the dog area. We would go again. Staff was friendly and accommodating
We've stayed at this particular hotel for the past few years when traveling. It is always clean and the rooms are comfortable. They are in the middle of renovating and the room we stayed in this time wasn't completed but it was clean and everything was in working order. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Always use TripAdvisor to research reviews and hotel ratings and this BW was ranked #1. It lived up to its reputation. Good value, great room, very friendly staff and breakfast assortment exceeded expectations. Hot and cold choices. Double queen suite was a very nice room with one of the largest room bathrooms I've seen. Would stay again and highly recommend.
Clean/disinfectant smell upon entering lobby. Hotel was recently renovated,, everything was new,, updated and fresh looking. Young man at reception very polite and welcoming. Halls and elevator quite warm, but air in room crisp and cool. Room was exceptionally clean, fresh linens and updated bathroom. Microwave and frig in room. Gym and guest laundry on 2nd floor and outdoor pool out back. Dinner options were limited in area. Might wish to eat before checking in. Breakfast was plentiful in hotel, with hot and cold items. Would stay here again without question. Be aware of dinner option limitations, our only negative comment. There was fast food nearby.
we arrived an hour early, but were able to check in immediately. staff friendly and helpful. the room seemed to be recently redone. bathroom spotless, comfortable bed, free wifi and hot breakfast was ample and items refilled as needed.
This hotel is one of the best in Hardeeville. Very convenient- immediately off Exit 5. The staff is wonderful, but the hotel could use some TLC. Everyone did their best to make our stay pleasant. Just a little attention to some of the wear and tear will make this location better than it already is.
Very nice and clean. Breakfast was ok. Biscuits a little hard and bacon not crispy but still good overall. The room was great and front desk employees were very friendly. We stayed just one night with a small poodle mix dog. We had no issues and we would stay again. You can hear highway traffic but it wasn't bad and is to be expected so close to the interstate.
Room was clean, pool was sparkling, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Got great tips on where to eat with relatives in nearby Okatie. I accidentally left my laptop charger in the room, and the manager (Kyle?), when I called immediately found it, sent it, and I got it two days later. Very relieved and pleased. Thanks!
First time travel after COVID19 was a success due to Best Western Plus and their warm, welcoming, professional staff who made us feel like family. A sure sign of brighter days ahead after more than a year of isolation and uncertainty.
We arrived for a late check in. Parking lot appeared pretty empty, but they stated they were full. I noticed later they had a bus full of people. Check in was quick. Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was extremely clean and appeared newly remodeled. Beds were comfy. Breakfast in the morning was simple, but plenty. Attendant working kept things stocked.
WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AS WELL AS THE accommodations'. we will definitely stay at this location again when we are on the area. The breakfast area wa well stocked and very clean there was enough seating even with the COVID regulations
We like to stay at Best Western Plus Hotels because they are clean, the beds are comfortable and well dressed, the breakfast has lots of options and personnel are very helpful. After a long day of driving, it's nice to know that your stop for the night will be comfortable and clean.
I would not recommend this hotel. Elevator was never cleaned to inhibit spread of Covid or other germs. Swimming pool trash was not picked up, garbage can was full the entire stay. Breakfast was below average and poor in quality and the breakfast area was never cleaned after other guests were finished.
Don't judge this hotel by the outside appearance because it looks like a motel. But we were pleasantly surprised when we entered the lobby. Our room was very clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was decent. BUT if you want dinner, there aren't any decent restaurants near by. Definitely eat before you arrive if your getting there close to dinner time unless you don't mind driving some more.
Stayed for one night at this hotel off of exit 5 on I 95. There are no restaurants near here to get dinner, unless you like Waffle House, the room was noisy due to the traffic on State Road 17. The guy at the check in was a dud, both on the phone and in person. Breakfast was depleted by 8 ish with no attendant in site. Enough said. There's better options nearby at other exits.
The breakfast was great. Kyle the GM is so terrific, friendly, personable, takes great care in the hotel. Nice changes! Clean and fresh. One of the nicest hotels in area off interstate highway. Will stay again.
We have stayed here in the past and enjoy the convenience and location of this property. Checking in was easy and the room was clean, but we had some concerns the next day. When leaving our room, we noticed the cleaning staff in other rooms not wearing masks. And while it was exciting to consider a normal hot breakfast, most guest were not practicing safe distancing nor were most wearing masks.
I have stayed here twice while traveling to Florida and Savannah. It's right off the highway and offers a great value. Nice clean and spacious rooms as well as pet friendly. Also smoke free which is a huge plus for us.
We try to find a Best Western whenever we travel. Not always available where needed. Before COVID we enjoyed the convenience of a hot breakfast rather than seeking a restaurant first thing in the morning. We just requested a room and had a suite with plenty of room and excellent space in the bathroom. Staff very responsive. Bed extremely comfortable.
Booked this place based off the mostly positive reviews. This place was such a disappointment. There was a roach in the room that we saw almost as soon as we walked in, and then saw another one this morning when we woke up. It was so hot in the room that I literally felt sick. I had the front desk come look at the air and see if I was doing something wrong because it wouldn't come on. She said “well you have it turned on so there is nothing else I can do”. Even though it wasn't actually blowing any air. So, we asked for a different room with air that actually worked and her response was “they all have the same air conditioning so just give it a minute”. I think I slept maybe 3 hours last night because I was so hot that I was miserable. Then there is what looks like a bloodstain on the blanket. I am so disgusted, and had I seen this stuff before we checked in, I would not have let my family stay here.
Have stayed here a few times going to & returning from Florida. Clean, nice rooms, good shower. Computer works very good. Price is good. Good breakfast room & food. Also have stayed here for St Pattys day only a short drive to Savanna to watch the parade.
The room was pleasant and comfortable but my major concern is the housekeeping. I'm not sure if the cleaning crew were understaffed or if they just rushed through their duties, but our room was not satisfactory as far as cleanliness and sanitization. There was a piece of mystery meat on the floor, probably sausage that rolled off of someone's pizza. Then the table was not wiped down because there were still rings from a drink that were dried on the surface. Lastly, the biggest grossness was the dried toothpaste and spittle in the sink and on the faucet! I went downstairs to the front desk and asked for some disinfectant wipes. She was very apologetic and gave me her own personal tub of wipes behind her counter along with some Lysol spray so I could clean my own room. Apparently looking at the other reviews lack of cleanliness is a common issue.
was enroute to daytona, stopped here. super clean, friendly front desk, AWESOME BREAKFAST room. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, what more can you say. Located close to interstate ramp. Close to gas station so you can fill up on your way out without any issues
No one here is concerned with guest health. Employees only wore masks inside when customers were present, other guests were not required to were masks at check in, in the lobby, or elevators. I was extremely uncomfortable. I called BW corporate and complained, but there was no follow up. Do not stay here if you are concerned about your covid health. If you are a covid denier, you will love this place.
Although the rooms are adequate, they do not seem to be taking any Covid precautions. Luckily, I brought all of my sanitizing equipment. The grounds are full of used latex gloves, cigarette butts, soda cans. Run, don't walk away.
Been working 14 days on and 7 days off since September 2020, and this has been my home away from home. Front desk has been more than willing to help and service me since I've been working in the area.
This hotel is located immediately off I95, making for an easy rest place while traveling. They offer clean facilities, with expected amenities such as fridge in room, free wifi, king bed if desired. Because of Covid, only breakfast take out bags were offered (water, apple, granola bar). Coffee remained available. We have stopped here numerous times and have had consistent good service.
We are snowbirds and this year decided to change up our overnight stays. We chose this motel primarily because it was pet friendly with decent reviews. Upon entering the room I noticed spots on the ceramic tile near the carpet edge. My initial thought was that housekeeping missed an area. After bringing in the items that we did not want to leave in the car my wife stepped in a wet area of the carpet. I blotted the wet area with paper napkins and determined that it was urine. They did move us to another room but not with the king size bed we reserved as none were available. I can't comment on the breakfast as we were out at 5:30 AM and starts at 6AM. We will in all likelihood return to our previous stays on the return trip.
I stay here each time I drive to Florida. (four times now in the past year) The hotel accepts pets, which is important for me since I travel with my small dog. The people at the front desk are very nice, especially the manager who works there in the mornings. When I arrived at night, the young man at the front desk was very friendly. I requested extra coffee packs for the room's coffee machine and he gladly obliged. The room and bathroom were VERY clean, which is important to me. I read a previous review saying things weren't clean and wondered if he had actually stayed at this hotel! The hotel is right off the I-95 exit, easy off -on. There is a gas station, Burger King, and Wendy's close by. Super convenient.
the lobby and the room smelled mold. Dirty elevator. The room wasn't properly cleaned. Dirty rug, dirty bed covers. The cleaning lady didn't wear mask while cleaning ( in the middle of the pandemic). The internet signal in the room too weak, we couldn't use the wifi. The ladies at the reception were unfriendly.
We had just spent two days in Orlando for a cheer competition. Then left to take my niece home to Greenville, but needed to get some sleep. We booked this, simply for a convenient, safe night of sleep. It did not disapppoint. The room was clean, we felt safe, and that shower was awesome, great water pressure and the water was so hot I warned my niece to only turn it half turn, because a full turn nearly scalded me!
I have to say I was completely satisfied again! I love that the front desk is practicing Covid restrictions! Felt safe. Kyle the Asst. Manager was also extremely nice and informative. For a pet friendly hotel, by far one of the cleanest ones. The rooms were clean and also smelled clean. They have a great area for the dogs to go potty! (of course you ALWAYS have one dog owner that feels the need to not pick up) The area was so clean I even asked if they had someone who monitored that area. And... yes they do!!! The property outside in general is very nice and clean too. You won't be disappointed if you are traveling with your fur babies!
Overall this was a nice stay with a clean room, comfortable bed/pillows and good toiletries. The front desk employees were polite and friendly. Internet worked fine. The breakfast for a grab and go left something to be desired. We would stay here again.
Great value for the money! Great shower! Nice place, but nothing exceptional that would make it a plus. It is a good place to stop off 95, but not many choices for dinner. Service was great! With the virus going on their packed breakfast was just okay. We try to eat healthy while traveling and brought our own cereal.
very nice room with 2 beds and nicely appointed. not very old! helpful front desk and great rates. suggest dining just before your stop as restaurants are few and no variety. pool looked gorgeous. no food except coffee because of covid.
After my family stopped at a roach motel, we stumbled upon the Best Western. What a wonderful place to stay. The room was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. All COVID-19 protocols were being adhered. The staff was very friendly. I would highly suggest that you stay. I would definitely recommend.
rooms was not cleaned. being a supervisor in EVS I know what a clean room is. check in person was very nice. check out person should learn how to do this job. I would like a refund of my money. room smelled of mold
We were traveling without firm hotel reservations for the night so when we got close started looking at places and reviews. We were not disappointed. Great location, clean, friendly staff, right off I-95 and good price. We will stay again on our way back home. Thank you for making our stay a good stay
We needed a hotel along 95 en route to Florida. This hotel had decent reviews and was allegedly taking Covid safety measures. Check in went fine but there were customers not wearing masks. The room was ok except for the pealing ceiling in the bathroom. When we got there the toilet seat was up and the toilet paper ripped like someone just used it. This is in contrast to the Hilton Garden Inn which we stayed in on our way North. The Inn had a sticker on the outside door indicating it was Covid sanitized and the toilet seat was down with something to indicate it had been sanitized. Upon checkout at the Best western, the hotel clerk did not initially have a mask on. When he put it on his nose was sticking out. The bagged breakfast consisted of a granola bar and a muffin. I would not stay there again during Covid times.
Very nice property that needs a bit more daily attention. The room smelled and appeared clean but there was a cotton pad (like a makeup removal pad) on the bedside table. It didn't appear to have been used but should not have been there. Also there were pillow cases on wrong side out. We were travelling with our dog and they are very dog friendly. The dog walking area is large and nice but a quick occasional sweep by staff to pick up remains left by the dogs of rude guests would be nice. The property is nice and well landscaped but again, a quick occasional sweep by staff to pick up trash left behind by those rude guests would improve the overall appearance.
We paid full price for a room here because it said on the website that they served full breakfast. We even asked on the phone if they were serving full breakfast because of the COVID-19 situation and was told yes. Lie. All we got was a bag with a breakfast bar and two muffins in a package. Could have served frozen breakfast products. VERY dissatisfied. Would have stayed at a cheaper Best Western or other hotel. Now we still have to buy breakfast. Lesson learned.
We stopped in for the night while passing through, beautiful hotel, extremely clean, and a great price for the night. No breakfast buffet due to covid but they offered grab and go bags and fresh coffee. A great stay!!!
We stop at this Hardeville Best Western Plus on our trip back and forth to Florida each year. It is a very nice facility, always clean and affordable. Check in was fast as was check out. The room was very nice and comfortable after traveling for 12 hours.
This hotel did not have any signs indicating masks were required and none of the staff I came into contact with had a mask on. The hotel looks pretty and clean but as soon as I turned on the ac it stank like mildew. It was either sleep at 80 degrees or tolerate the smell. When I woke up in the morning everything smelled like mildew. The staff never said hello, or goodbye or have breakfast. I packed up at 7am and got back on the road. Definitely not what was I was expecting based on the reviews.
The front desk personnel greeted us as soon as we walked in. The hotel is very clean, the noise level was at a minimum, a good night sleep, we had an overall great experience. The price for this location ifs awesome!
Great hotel, convenient to Savannah but not the Savannah prices! Clean room, great staff, very clean pool! Lemon water and coffee in the lobby plus lots of snacks to purchase. Great Mexican restaurant down the street!
It's hard to compliment hotels during COVID-19 because most things are not what they used to be. Specially breakfast. But this hotel was ok. Coffee was good too. Breakfast bags should have water or juice, they only had an apple, a granola bar and muffins.
So we were moving to SC and we had tried 3 other hotels first, all of which were disgusting. When we found this Best Western I stopped at the desk and explained what we had been through at the others and requested to see a room before check in. The gentleman at the front desk understood our situation and showed me the room. I was very pleased to see it was clean and well kept. I told him I would take the room and went out and told my wife and kids that this was a good hotel and we could finally get some rest. Our stay was well over a month until we secured housing. We had a comfortable stay and easy access to Interstate 95, and a short 30-40 minute drive to Bluffton or Hilton Head. The pool was well kept and maintained even with the challenge of a severe thunderstorm that flooded the pool. We felt safe at this location (we couldn't say the same for the others we tried). The front desk is occupied 24/7. The beds were very very comfortable as were the pillows. We had a very good stay and I would say we definitely chose the best Hotel in the town. The hotel room we stayed in had two queen beds, a nice bathroom, LG flat screen TV, a desk and office style chair, a padded bench, chair with ottoman, entertainment center that housed the TV, mini fridge and microwave. There is a coin operated washer and dryer on site for convenience(we used it quite a bit). Definitely recommend
Lovely property and helpful staff. Amid what is going on in the world today, they were very accommodating. We were excited that they accepted dogs as we were travelling with our small one. They even had a dog park.
I stay in BW rooms 20 to 40 times a year. Staff was friendly, and room was clean, but. - Went to take shower, stepped in - feet fly out, hit head and land on back - hard. Absolutely the slickest shower surface ever. It was like it had been cleaned with a lubricant. Let clerk know, he asked me to call owner, which I did. Not much concern or any real apology. He was lucky it wasn't worse. It was slick to the point of negligence. I hope they have addressed this dangerous situation.
I arrived at this hotel to find a room with two small pillows on the king bed, mismatched cushions on the couch, broken drawer handles; absolutely no soap or other bath amenities; only one small one gallon wastebasket in the sleeping room; two half used toilet rolls of toilet paper, and not even a key card jacket. All staff claimed this was the 'new policy'. Even leaving, the choice for TV channels in the lobby was not per corporate policy. I will never, ever stay at a Best Western again.
The room was dusty. Found hair on the bathroom floor. Carpets felt nasty on my feet. Crappy breakfast, even taking covid into consideration. The area was dark with people loitering at the nearby gas station. We didn't feel safe or clean here.
Had a wonderful stay.. staff and management very friendly. And the main boss had no problem in Taken care of things his self if need be ..had no real problems will definitely stay here again in near future. And is pet friendly!!
We have stayed at this location three separate times and have enjoyed our stay each time. Although there are several other hotels in this area, we always choose Best Western Plus Hardeeville. Highly recommend.
This is the best hotel in the area. It is attractive, clean and boasts one of the friendliest and most competent staff I have encountered. There are multiple hotels in the area and I have stayed in most. This hotel is the best.
Stayed returning home to Florida from Pennsylvania. Perfect location. Needed a very clean room during the pandemic. Front desk and housekeeping people went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
We have enjoyed this hotel as we travel to and from Florida as snowbirds. The location is convenient to I 95. There are numerous restaurant choices within a 8-10 mile distance. This hotel is very clean and fresh. The linens and beds are comfortable. The bathroom is spacious. Normally, there is a nice breakfast service, but during the coronavirus, a take-out bag was offered. It included yogurt, an orange, a packaged Danish, and a bottled water. Coffee service remained available in the lobby. We only stayed one night, but ths is a good location if your goal is to visit Savannah as well.
We try to find hotels with comfortable arm chairs as my husband sleeps in a chair. This one was very low with no arms however since there was a huge stoppage off I 95 with more requests than rooms I was very happy we had made a reservation 3 hours previous. Several fast food places within walking distance. Close to exit
Nice little spot, actually, ran into some fellow Canadians down there. Proerty was very clean and comfortable. Front desk , was nice and quick, breakfast was nice and hot, great food choice. Always have a great stay at Best Western.
We stay at this Best Western every time we come through this area. We have never been dissatisfied. Clean, friendly, and comfortable. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and quiet compared to many places.
My check in is great with Mr.Rishi. Hotel clean. Rooms large, everything works. Bathroom great. wifi works. Breakfast amazing many choices, gravy, biscuits, bacon etc. Safe place and quiet. Close to Savannah.(with car). Dont waste money, stay
Mr Rishi, Friendly, helpful and professional. He helped me use the free night promotion at your hotel. Helped me in the best possible way. And everything perfect, and if it didn't work. The way he took care of everything, he was very professional and attentive. Thank you again Mr Rishi. Hotel clean. Rooms large, everything works. Bathroom great. wifi works Breakfast amazing many choices, gravy, biscuits, bacon etc. Safe place and quiet Dont waste money, stay
Upon arrival we were informed that the elevator was broken so we had to use the stairs. I asked if there was first floor availability as we had four children and a good amount of luggage, I was quickly told no and shrugged off by the front desk clerk. The room was clean and updated. The breakfast was very bad. We didn't even finish eating and decided to just go elsewhere to eat and grab coffee.
I have stayed in this hotel a few times before and always enjoyed it,the manager is a real down to earth gentleman and very hard working, its to bad some of his staff dont copy him.Recently myself and another couple stopped there on our way to florida,we had a price of $66 and told the girl at the desk of same she said they dont go that low and refused to honor it,but she did take money off because I am a member of there club.Next she gave us rooms on complete oppisite sides of the hotel when I asked for rooms near each other she said its an upcharge which is crazy.
Stayed overnight while travelling to Florida. Hotel was clean and staff pleasant. Good value for money. Breakfast was adequate but not fancy, met our needs as travellers. Hotel is located just off the I-95 which is convenient but did not impact the quality of our sleep.
We've stayed at several best westerns on our travel from ny to Florida and this was by far the best one. It was the cleanest and very comfortable beds. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and friendly
Easy on, off I95. Clean, spacious rooms. Breakfast included. Small gym. Restaurant options nearby and about 8 miles away. toward Hilton Head. Close enough to Savannah, if that is your destination. We needed a parking space for a boat in tow, there is large adequate parking. Gas station next to hotel.
We are traveling with family and reserved two rooms through an online booking site. When we checked in they took my card for incidental charges which is totally fine. What they did not tell me is that they would pre auth the total cost of my rooms twice! One charge for the actual room charge and one for incidental charges. So instead of holding out $244 from my account they are holding $488. I never authorized this, and I never would. The incidentals should be things like what you buy from the pantry not a complete double room charge. When I complained to the front desk they tried to argue that they were not charging twice. Do not stay here, go somewhere else. Also, the room needs dusted, there is dust everywhere.
This location is very close to Savannah and an easy drive; great location, Although close to the interstate the property was secure and quiet. Room was so comfortable, it was the best rest we had on our 6 day journey. Thank you!
This is probably the nicest and most updated hotel (at this price point and star rating) that I have ever stayed at. It was spotless, had great service, a wonderful full breakfast and was gorgeously updated. This BWP location should definitely be rated higher on the 5-star scale. I've stayed in 3 and 3.5 star hotels that weren't as nice as this one. We are traveling from North Carolina to Boca Raton for my stepson's college graduation. We booked a Best Western Plus down there too but I have a feeling that I'm going to somewhat disappointed once we get there because this particular location has set the bar really high. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
We stopped here on our way home from a holiday visit. The girl at the desk was very nice. I asked if they had any rooms, she said technically we are sold out. But offered us 2 different rooms. One you couldn't use the closest and the other had a hole in the bathroom ceiling. She offered for us to look at the rooms. We only looked at and chose the one that you couldn't use the closet. It was a king bed. Supposedly we got a $20.00 discount. The room wasn't bad. The bathroom wall needs to be repaired but no big deal. We parked on the side of the hotel. When we came out in the morning, our entire car was covered in bird poop. Obviously it's some sort of problem. Because the ground was also covered. I'm guessing they are aware of this. You should be told that maybe it's not a good idea to park there. They offer a complimentary breakfast. This exit doesn't have much of anything in the way of restaurants or food. So do yourself a favor and get off another exit.
We had an advance reservation, and arrived about 6:00 p.m. The desk man (Immanuel?), was ready for us, and didn't miss a beat--got us registered, directed to our room, and provided directions to the local restaurant we had inquired about, with a smile on his face. There is an atmosphere of competence about this place, that used to be de rigeur at this class of establishment, but is becoming remarkable when one finds it.
This place was a pleasant surprise. The hotel was immaculate. The room was large and modern and exceptionally clean. The front desk area was nice and the people were friendly. Breakfast was very good and a great value. There was a real breakfast with bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy as well as danish, muffins, bagels, cereal, coffee and juice. The guests seem to really clean up after their pets as we saw absolutely nothing left behind. This hotel is an exceptional value and I can not think of anything they could do better. Just an exceptionally clean and comfortable place to stay and they welcome Fido as well!! What's not to like!!
It's perfect. Spotlessly clean, large modern room. The place is immaculate, looks like it was built yesterday. Very comfortable bed and no bugs! I travel the I-95 corridor at least twice a year and I will make sure to stay here again.
The accommodations were great for the value. The room was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. I thought my stay was going to be excellent until part way thru breakfast which I might add was great selection wise and taste wise ,but when I witnessed guest walking thru the dining area with their dogs and allowing the animals to sit at the table and eat from the plate I had second thoughts. I love animals and have had several dogs throughout my life. But they are animals. You can have pet friendly hotels but that was way over the top. This was my 2nd stay at this hotel, and I have stayed at many pet friendly hotels in the past. However this was the first time I experienced the pets in the dining area. Will influence my recommendation as a great or ok hotel.
Pet-friendly! Second time staying there. It is clean and for pets there are two end rooms near exits on the main floor. I'm reviewing this year because, just as someone else mentioned, the lobby reeks of mildew! I can't imagine how it affects the staff members that have to work there every day. While I didn't smell the same odour in the room, there is definitely a humidity problem in this building as they had a dehumidifier parked next door to my room on the end in November! Very close to an Econolodge and two years in a row, there have been some shady people hanging outside that end (this year, smoking pot) The breakfast was your standard fare but buns/biscuits were stale! Not a lot of space for walking dogs but it is grassed all the way around which was sufficient. Finally, very few restaurants nearby just Burger King, Wendy's and couple of bbq joints.
We happened upon the hotel during a trip to NC. Upon making last minute reservations,I found out that I had made a mistake with my date. JADE at the desk was very helpful in working with my third party vendor to accommodate the change and get us to bed by midnight. The room was super clean and comfortable and the bathroom was really high end for an affordable chain. Breakfast was plentiful and well maintained. Over all, I would definitely recommend this property!! Especially if JADE is there to help weary, brain dead travelers like me!
My first time visiting this location. My stay was one week. Great hospitality! The manager Kyle was very friendly and so was the staff. My room was very nice. Free breakfast daily which was a plus. Gym facility and laundry facility came in handy. I would definitely return to this location. Also this location is not far from Hilton Head & Tybee Island if you are a beach lover like me! I am sure you will enjoy your stay if you try them out.
Hotel was wonderful and clean! Pets were welcome too! They had a nice area in back and pickup stations. Breakfast was nice, great selection. The manager was very nice and present everywhere. The room attendants were very sweet and helpful! Great location and we will come back!
The place was one of the nicest Best Western that I stayed at for some time. People were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best that I've had because they actually had real eggs and all the food was great. Will stay again when in area.
This is a great Best Western! Clean, quiet and new. Lots of great choices for breakfast as well. The food was restocked often which was nice to see.Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
The room was nice and clean, breakfast was very good including real eggs, and the staff was absolutely awesome. Seriously felt like a their guest. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Short drive into Savannah.
My husband and I stopped here overnight on our way to Disney. We had a pleasant stay. Very friendly staff, Kyle took great care of us at checkout. The room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast bar had plenty of options.
My husband and I traveled here for business. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The pool was cool and refreshing and very clean! Manuel at the front desk was absolutely amazing! Super accommodating and very nice! Highly recommend!
Our first time at a BW PLUS. The newness overwhelmed us. Clean to excess. Like some modern European hotel, though still scratchy towels. Something for everyone at breakfast, hot and cold alike. A surprise place north of Savannah, worth the price.
We stopped here for a quick overnight on our way to Disney. The rates were low, front desk was nice, room was clean, bathroom was clean, breakfast was typical continental breakfast those were all pluses. I only had one complaint.... the air only cut on twice all night. Our room was a like a sauna. But we rested somewhat so we could finish our journey. The location itself would cause me to stay again. It's right off 95. Will be back.
We stayed one night on our drive back to Florida. Pros: clean, updated rooms, nice new shower and vanity area, comfortable beds. Good for a night or two. Cons: No decent restaurants in the area except fast food and mexican. Lobby had a musty odor, my husband woke at 2:00 am to the sound of a semi truck outside the hotel running the engine off and on from 2:00 am to 5:00 am. We assume the trucker was sleeping in the truck. My husband could not go back to sleep but should have called the front desk. He did not want to wake me so decided to put up with the noise. Front desk said we should have called and they would have taken care of the situation. We would probably stay here again.
My room was very clean, shower was nice and hot, very quiet. quick check in , good breakfast enough choices, my puppy was not disturbed by noises. Beds were very comfortable and clean as well. This was second time I stayed at this particular BW. Would definitely stay again.
There was a mandatory evacuation on the island we were vacationing on (Cat 5 hurricane), and the staff of this Best Western Plus quickly checked us in to a big, beautiful double queen bed room. Gorgeous room, with a great breakfast. So cozy we didn't notice the wind and rain outside. Amazing, friendly, accomodating staff. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone.
To have "PLUS" in your name is an understatement for this well run hotel. From the pleasant young man that checked us in (early)to the same young fellas that allowed us to check out a day early, it was a pleasure. Our rooms were bright fresh and clean. A nice crib was placed in our room earlier and was clean and cozy. Our king bed was the most comfortable night's sleep in a few years! Honest! It was also bright white and fresh! The "breakfast room" was one of the nicest I've been in. Kyle, the hotel manager was constantly refilling fluffy eggs, bacon, Sausage gravy waffles and all that other healthy breakfast food including fruit and oats! Since many were there due to being evacuated, the vibe was amazing! Board and card games going on in the public places...people chatting and ALL i spoke with I, would give this place the highest rating possible.I encourage you, if your stopping spot is anywhere near this Best Western Plus. STOP and enjoy Kyle's and company hospitality.PS: even the neon mirrors in our bathrooms were "kind" lol
Room was clean, bath was new, but moldy smell in lobby and hallways. Management was very friendly and helpful. Checkout was easy and fast. Easy access to Latutude and Sun City. Breakfast was good. Overall, not bad.
I've recently decided to use Best Western as my go to hotel. Since my husband and I will traveling to go back north where we retired from at least twice a year. Knowing that I'll have no trouble finding a hotel to stay at makes those trips much easier to do.
Our room was right near an exit door where people came and went all night and the door slammed constantly. My 1 year old daughter and I didn't sleep at all. It was very unfortunate. The person we reported the problem to said that those rooms were bad and noisy, he also mentioned others have also complained about the same thing.
Renovated hotel with clean and spacious well appointed rooms. very nice breakfast spread, set up so you can make your own waffles. Only negative is that it is noisy due to the proximity to the highway but the trade off is that you save time in the morning when you need to get back on I-95. Very quick check in service.
Clean rooms , good beds , decent pillows. Killer shower!! Breakfast better than average. They serve waffles eggs bacon sausage and gravy yogurt coffee cereal and juice. Has a pool and is pet friendly. Friendly staff.
Rishi, the young man who was on duty during our stay at this Best Western, was polite, helpful, patient, and available to help us with our requests for information, directions, finding tv channels, etc.
This BW was clean and comfortable. We had a reservation at another hotel in Bluffton and when we arrived that night, our reservation had been dropped/cancelled by them. There were no other rooms available. This hotel came to our rescue with availability at a reasonable rate considering it was last minute (10 pm). We stayed 3 nights and our only issue was we did not receive housekeeping service on our last day (not sure why, We were just missed). Since we were out all day, it was too late to have service when we got back but we were able to just get what we needed from the front desk (shampoo, towels, etc.)
We always try to stay at this property on our way to Florida on vacations. It has always been clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient location and pet friendly is a big plus.
this hotel is a real gem,the staff is very friendly and helpful the prices are reasonable and the rooms are clean and comfortable.its a real deal.the location is great right along side on I95 with plenty of restaurants and gas stations nearby
Was originally staying at the Ocean Breeze Best Western in Hilton Head SC, they were overbooked and extended our stay to this property, should have stayed here in the first place, Staff was excellent, rooms were excellent, breakfast was over the top. will book this hotel again when staying in the area
Restless sleeping with interstate noise. Really loud. This was my second stay at this hotel. Did not have issue first stay as I was on the opposite side. Rooms are very nice especially traveling with a pet.
Surprisingly quiet for how loud it is outside. Very close to the highway but once inside we never heard the traffic. We were traveling with our dogs and were given the room closest to the exit which was very nice for taking them out. We were fortunate that the guests were quiet because I could see were being so close to the exit could be an issue with noisy guests coming and going. The room was clean and fresh smelling. The shower was nice and hot. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. We would stay here again any time we are in the area.
For the location, this new-renovated hotel was clean and reasonably priced. For the price, the room was clean and neat. The accommodation were comfortable, nothing over the top but had the basic necessities. Good stop while traveling.
On Vacation visiting friends and family in Ridgeland SC we wanted to stay another night and the Hotel Management & Staff went above and beyond to give us the best rate and has provided excellent services to us!!! We will definitely use this hotel again and highly recommend it!!
Exceptionally clean hotel. Friendly staff and a great breakfast with a variety of foods that were well stocked. We needed a roll away bed to accommodate our third child and the staff took care of it right away
Had a very good stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and the rooms were plenty big to accommodate a family. Good breakfast with plenty for everyone was just icing on the cake.
The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and update, our room was big, the shower was amazing. Our only complaints were the town around it, breakfast, and internet. Other than that we had an awesome stay!
Found this Secret Jewel minutes from Hilton Head Island. Wish we had found this sooner and spent each night here. Clean, cozy, and comparable to Doubletree by Hilton. The only issue was my own fault. Had left our get home cash under ice bucket. We had it for emergency due to being double charged for car rental. Waited in lobby fpr my husband to return from fishing so we didnt have to pay extra for later check out. Remembered it and went back but room had been cleaned. Cleaner says she did not find. This was the only sad experience I had, because she could have returned it not knowing our circumstances, especially with children. But again, I should have checked before walking out of room. I hated that. But the hotel itself was excellent. I might stay again, just make sure I am more careful with my own things.
Very nice and clean hotel with a pleasant and very friendly front desk employee by the name of rishi. It's in a great location near a few restaurants, and close by the highway. You can't beat the quality for the price.
My husband and I stayed here on our long drive to Florida and were totally ready to stretch out and rest after 11 hours on the road. I had made online reservations a few months earlier and was given an amazing rate for a king suite. The hotel is only two years old and the rooms were amazing. The breakfast provided was awesome and the staff so friendly. Kyle who was taking care of the breakfast area was very sweet and friendly. Every staff member we interacted with was great. Only suggestion, take care of the pool area a bit more. This will be our go to motel of choice the next time we are in the area.
We stayed here on our way to Disney world. We usually stay in savannah, but decided to give this a try. This hotel has simply been given a fresh coat of paint and called renovated. It was dirty and very old. We are traveling with 5 children so we got 2 rooms. The second rooms air conditioning broke so we had to move. The pull out couch in the “suite” was awful. You could feel the springs in the mattress. The best part was they refused to give us more pillows. It was crazy!! I have never stayed at a hotel that wouldn't give us more pillows! Both my husband and I went to the front desk to get some and they told us 4 pillows for a king room was enough and they wouldn't give us more. I told them we needed it for the sofa pullout as there were no extra pillows or extra set of linens in the room to make the bed. The front desk girl finally gave me ONE after I argued with her. I was so frustrated! I actually said ‘seriously? All I am asking for is some pillows!' She told me that if everyone in the hotel needed an extra pillow there would not be enough. It was really crazy!! The shower door was broken and leaked water and the shower did not get warmer than lukewarm. You could smell the mold on the bottom floor and they had dehumidifiers running everywhere. It was pretty gross. We definitely would NOT stay here again. Overall it was dirty, cheap and unimpressive.
The hotel is clean. When you are staying at a roadside hotel or motel, isn't that what you are looking for? Location close to Savannah. 20 min to downtown. Breakfast was nice, hot, and good. Even had some things at breakfast that I had not seen before, like overhead eggs.
I hate leaving bad reviews but this location is truly a weak link in the Best Western chain. Mildew , dirty floors and unkept breakfast area. The room was ok but simply not clean. I also found it surprising that the two people at the front desk were rather unkept. Yes the room cost was low but I believe other hotels in the area have got to be better. The area for breakfast was a mess when we checked in , in the evening and not much better in the am. I also realize the people staying at this hotel perhaps are not the neatest or respectful of cleaning after themselves - but really just a mess. The lobby and surrounding that area had a smell of mildew. Since this location is basically a stop on the road- either stop sooner or drive further for a better and cleaner hotel. Again, I understand there is not much you can do about mildew and smells perhaps- but having a staff dressed better and servicing the breakfast area should be minimal expectations. Again- Best Western Plus hotels are generally a fine stop over hotel - this is an exception.
My wife and I stayed here while traveling north on route 95. This is an older property which is only a 2 story building but updated and very functional. A clean hotel with comfortable beds and a nice size room. The bathroom was also good with a nice shower. It is close to the highway but quite enough for a good nights rest. Breakfast was good and the room rate was reasonable.
What a gem… Everything was clean modern the room was wonderfully lit nice big screen TV very modern clean bathrooms. The location was easy on and off access from I 95. The beds were very comfortable and we had a very good nights sleep.
I am so happy with my choice to stay with this Best Western. Only issue I saw was the rather loud air conditioning unit, so if you are a light sleeper this may affect you. I thought it was a great option for the price though. Easy access to the SC beaches as well as Savannah, GA
We had a bus group of almost 50 travelers stay at the Best Western Plus Hardeeville during a trip to Charleston SC, Savannah, GA, and the golden isles. This location was centrally located for our travels. The staff was excellent to work with and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. The accommodation met our expectations and all of the rooms were clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast each morning was good and hope to stay here in the future.
Best Western Plus is our hotel of choice. The Hardeeville location is convenient to Savannah and Hilton Head. The hotel staff are always helpful and friendly! Sirgi at the front desk check in is awesome!! He goes over and beyond to make our stay comfortable and homey!
We travel 50-60 days annually for leisure purposes staying exclusively in Best Western properties, so have a broad base of experience for comparisons. This Hardeeville property was a big, pleasant surprise! Close to the highway, it provides easy access to the Interstate, but is not noisy. Emmanuel at the front desk was very friendly, providing a level of customer service much appreciated. We were upgraded to a King suite which was really nice. The room was spotless, the lighting plentiful, the bathroom large with a tall walk-in shower. One thing that will sour my experience in a heartbeat is having shower or sink drains that do not function as designed, but that was not the case here. All worked as designed and there was plenty of hot water. I found the WIFI to be a little slow, but that can not detract from my overall experience. The bed was very comfortable and provided for a refreshing sleep. Breakfast was of the hot-and-cold variety, adequate for getting a good start to the day, and served in a spotlessly clean area with sufficient seating. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this place exceeded my expectations and will give it the best recommendation any business can receive: repeat patronage.
I liked this BW Plus because they accept cats and are very very clean. We've stayed many times. However, the last visit may be our last. We checked in before dark advising as usual we had pets which seemed to be a huge concern. The AC in our room didn't work and the lighting was very poor. We didn't ask for a change because we were too tired. The breakfast ends at 9 AM. We went for coffee and juice and saw they still had food out at 9:30 so got a couple of muffins. There was a family eating and getting food who gave us looks like we shouldn't be there. Then a staff person rushed in to remove food. Our traveling friends came in thinking breakfast ended at 10. We decided to leave. No good restaurants at this stop so we packed up and had to travel further on Interstate to find breakfast. Not cool.
This hotel is very easy to access from I-95. There is adequate parking for oversized vehicles. Breakfast is included in the rate. There are a few fast food options nearby for a meal, but about 9 miles down the road at Okatie are many more restaurant choices. The hotel is very clean with a modern appearance.
This is a great place to stay. It was new and clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in shower which was really huge. The towels were thick and white. The inn was right off I 95 but the road noise could not be heard in the facility. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Pets were allowed.
The room was nice and clean, the wide entryway had tile, a nice feature. The USB port on the bedside lamp didn't work so the people at the front desk got me a USB adapter. The people at the front desk were all very nice. Breakfast had bacon, eggs, biscuits, and GOOD coffee. The 2 queen bed room was really 2 full size beds, I measured the width. Water volume was gangbusters in the shower.
the rooms where amazingly clean. great food. and a nice stay. we stayed for a break in our road trip and it was amazing. the water stays hot for a long time. the spot of the hotel was great. the people are the front desk where very nice every late at night.
After travelling to Florida over the past 7 years we have stayed in many a hotel. This was our first time staying in the Best Western Plus in Hardeeville. It won't be the last! This is a very nice hotel. Very clean with comfortable beds. A Good Value. We'll be back next year!
This place is newly renovated, even though there was paint peeling off the bathroom ceilings and a few moldy spots. Right now, it is new and clean. I wonder if it will be like this in a year or two, especially with all the dogs I seen at the hotel. The beds were ok, better than most hotels, and I didn't use the breakfast bar except for a cup of maxwell house coffee. If I stay in Hardeeville again, I will definitely come back here. Kyle at the front desk was a great asset to this hotel.
Quick and easy to interstate. We stopped here as a halfway point to Disney. Clean and nice peoples would stay again when in the area. They have a breakfast and a outdoor pool. The front desk was friendly and helpful
Great find! Friendly and accommodating! Clean and new! Super management! Breakfast was good. Fast food close but not many. Trip Advisor is asking for 200 words, which is more than I have to say. It's a nice place. Stay!
I only stayed one night while passing through. But this was a very pleasant surprise. Very clean and spacious room, comfortable bed and included breakfast. This place had obviously just been updated and they did a great job. The staff was very helpful, efficient, and pleasant.
This hotel was unimpressive from the outside but once in the door it could not have been better. Our room was freshly painted and spacious. The bathroom was large, A's was the TV. The CC worked! DH felt it was one of the best BW Plus hotels we have used. The staff (Kyle and everyone) were friendly and helpful.
The motel was easy to find. Easily located as you exit I95. the parking was well lighted and safe, awl spaces were in front of building. The furnishings were new and pleasing, I would recommend this motel to all. This is probably the best motel at this intersection on I95
Stayed here one night. Room had 2 comfy beds & was spacious. Bathroom was clean, large & new. Breakfast was fresh & coffee was good. Waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fruit& more. Great value. Would definitely stay here again.
Arrived around 10pm and the lady with strawberry blonde hair at the front desk (Sorry, didn't catch her name) was extremely helpful. Very clean room and tasty breakfast. Would definitely recommend this location.
This hotel was a convenient stopping location on the way to Florida. Clean premises, cordial staff. Room was modern & clean. Bathroom spacious & clean. Breakfast included scrambled eggs & bacon. Overall, nice stay. You will need to travel some distance for dinner as the area around the hotel is devoid of any restaurants other than a Wendy's or Burger King.
Stayed overnight after reading reviews. Room looked like it had recently been updated and was very clean. Breakfast was good. The eggs were good, fresh, not powdered stuff you get some places. Staff and Manager were very friendly and helpful. Found that a few of the local places to eat are closed Mondays. Had to drive to another exit get dinner.
We have stayed at this location twice and will stay again if needed. We have always had good service. Lobby is nice and rooms are clean. Breakfast included is great! No complaints from our group of friends.
Walk in stop greeted by front clerk, and reception area& breakfast section was spotless. Got our room 2 bed, walking down hallway rug was clean and no smell of spray masking odors. Room was more than spacious enough again very clean. Its 1/2 rug & carpet which was great with our dog...they do charge $20 .. bed and pillows were comfy has micro and fridge . Breakfast was usual hotel fare eggs bacon, sausage&gravy, muffins toast and usual drinks and ceral. All staff we chatted with were helpful unpleasant. Will definitely stop there again. .
We stayed here 4 nights while visiting a sick family member. Though this hotel is a bit of a distance from the downtown area ( 35 minutes), it was very friendly, clean, and had a pretty good breakfast buffet, which saved us the time we would have spent looking for a breakfast spot. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were fairly quiet (we couldn't hear other guests except when they were checking out), shower was great (plenty of pressure), beds very comfortable. The man at the front desk helped us book another hotel in another state when we were leaving. I would definitely stay here again.
The fourth leg of our 1750 mile drive brought us to BW Plus Hardeeville Inn & Suites and we were sure glad we decided to spend the night there. The facility is very clean, has a pleasing decor, offers comfortable accommodation, and provides a hardy breakfast too. The staff is attentive and welcoming. We felt at home and will be sure to stay here again when traveling to this area.
Good bed. Average breakfast, but no skim milk. Toilet paper is mounted on wall behind toilet. OK if you are an orangutan. I'm amazed that something so simple could go so wrong. Just one single can light in ceiling over sink that cast a shadow on face. Treadmill was fine, but TV was mounted way too high and had no volume control.
TripAdvisor got this one right. We were pleased with pretty much everything, especially the "4 Cs" ...Clean, Comfortable, Convenient and Courteous; all 4 were found here. Our room was a wee bit dated but not worn out or threadbare. The beds were very comfortable, the room size was generous... and it was quiet. Pleasant & polite staff at the front desk and in the breakfast area. And breakfast was better than average. We'll stay there again. We booked at the company website and found it to be the best price.
Very clean and pleasant rooms. Bedding was comfortable, internet fast, plus great shower. Breakfast was exceptional, and front desk staff was extremely helpful, a very friendly and accommodating experience
This Best Western was a pleasant surprise when we saw it, and even more impressive when we walked through the door. The whole experience was favorable . We had been traveling for almost two weeks and were on our way home when we stopped at Hardeeville. This Best Western was one of the best hotel stays of our entire trip.
Second time we have stayed here. Will be our hotel of choice when traveling in the area (multiple times a year). Very friendly staff who truly are interested in their guests. Very nice current decor clean ROOMY rooms and bathroom. Big shower (no tub). Very comfortable beds. Direct TV with lots of channels. Mini-fridge with a compact freezer, one of the college-dorm size ones. Microwave. Desk w comfortable chair as well as a separate sitting chair (ottoman too I think). All the ordinary breakfast items including make your own waffles. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuit/gravy, cereals, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, bread, bagels, pastries, fruit. Oatmeal packages (no crockpot of oatmeal). Unlike some other places, really good fresh fruit. Bananas that are not browned at all. Apples and oranges. Staff keeps area really clean and replenishes food without having to ask or wait. This hotel pays a lot of attention to its breakfast area. Easy checkin and checkout. You may want to reserve ahead-full both times we have stayed here.
Nice, very clean room with walk-in shower. The bed had a bit of a weird stiffness to it, but ended up not being an issue and was comfortable. One minor complaint I had was that the work table was very small, barely large enough to spread out some papers and a laptop. A much bigger issue I had was that the fan on the heat/AC unit was loud (which I like), but could not be set to remain on independent of the heat or cooling settings, so it would continuously cycle on and off throughout the night, There is a "constant-on" feature on the wall thermostat control but it seemed to have no effect. I mentioned this as a problem when I checked out and the staff member at the front desk told me the constant fan function was purposely deactivated because the housekeeping staff "couldn't be trusted to leave it turned off" (his words), which I didn't understand at all. It made deep sleep impossible.
SUPER comfy beds, clean rooms and nice bathroom/shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Ac unit in room was a bit finicky and would keep turning on and off so the room got really warm in the middle of the night. Other than that it was a great stay. Breakfast is your run of the mill hotel hot breakfast. Nothing spectacular. Good room for the money and we will most likely stay again on future drives on I95 to or from FL.
We loved this property! Clean, modern, spacious! Great staff and wonderful hot breakfast. We travel a lot and this was a great stay, we couldn't have been more pleased. You won't go wrong picking this hotel.
Our experience at the Best Western PLUS Hardeeville Inn & Suites was perfect. Front Desk Staff/Mr. Rishi professionally greeted us w/a smile, checked us in a timely manner, and answered ALL questions promptly. Property was very clean, and well maintained. We stayed in a Standard King Bedroom w/computer desktop, microwave, iron/ironing board, refrigerator, and a dryer w/plenty of accessories/Spacious. Friendly Staff provided room service daily with whatever was needed concerning cleanliness. Free Hot breakfast consist of bacon, eggs, waffles, gravy/biscuits etc. Simply Delicious. Free 24hr. Coffee. Outdoor Pool/2nd floor Gym. Whenever in the area this will be our go to hotel. Thank You Best Western PLUS Hardeeville Inn & Suites for such a pleasant stay. God Bless Everyone & Stay Safe...
My family and I were traveling home and made an unexpected stop to stay the night. I did some research and decided to stop at this establishment. I walked into the lobby and Rishi was super friendly! He got us an awesome rate and checked in quickly! The hotel was amazingly clean and comfortable. We got up the next morning had an awesome breakfast and checked out of the room with no delay and the same great customer service I received the night before! Would defiantly stay again!!!!
We were very happy with our stay at the Best Western Plus. The hotel was clean and all the staff was kind. Breakfast was better than expected. We will be returning to this hotel again, in fact, all ready made the reservation.
Whilst on a road trip north, we chose this hotel for an overnight stop for its very convenient location and were pleasantly surprised. It was very reasonably priced and our bedroom was spacious, had a separate lounge area and the beds were extremely comfy. The breakfast buffet offered an excellent selection and there was coffee available 24 hours a day. Despite its close proximity to the very busy highway, we were not bothered by any noise at all. All the staff were very obliging which, all in all made for a very pleasant stay.
Rishi was very accommodating. Everyone was super friendly. Got a room right away . They also took my discount coupons. Rooms were updated and clean. Breakfast was good too! Bacon Eggs , sausage and biscuits. They also had waffles, yogurt , cereal and toppings. Fresh coffee and orange and apple juice . Right off 95. Dog friendly Parking was a little narrow for trucks . Definitely would stay again.
We chose this hotel convenience, we we did not have a reservation, it just happen to be where we decided to stop for the night. We will make a point to return to this specific location next time we are in this area because of the excellent service we received. Great staff!
The "Plus" formula works for the BW chain. A welcome relief from the "tired and outdated" old BW.I understand there is also a "Premier" level which I would be interested in trying. Would recommend this property during your travels.
heat/air conditioning unit is as loud as a semi truck - couldn't use it - so sleep in 77 degree room Would not return to this property unless out door temperature is in 40's or lower Reserving a room for this property was difficult. Had to go through a national number, not direct to hotel.
Kyle was tremendous at the front desk. He gave us a great room. King size bed. The room was clean and comfortable. Best of all, Kyle gave us a fabulous dinner recommendation, down home southern cooking where only the locals go. Would definitely stay there again.
From the time we entered the SC line from NC, we were in the worst traffic I've seen since evacuating from Hurricane &Florence! We stopped at one we'll known motel and were greeted with a desk clerk who didn't care if we stayed there or not. We traveled on to the next exit and I saw a sign for this Best Western where we were able to secure a room. It was BEAUTIFUL! A brand new hotel and a king suite for $90.00 less expensive than the previous hotel! The desk clerk could not have been any nicer even though people were pouring in like crazy just to get off the hectic highway. What a treasure of a find! If you find yourself on I-95 at the Hardeeville Exit and need an escape for any reason, stay at the BW of Hardeeville, SC!
I was able to use my pints for a free nights stay. The ability to be able to use these points helps with travel expenses. I have used points in the past n will continue to take advantage of this perk whenever possible.I would recommend Best Western hotels to anyone.
Its a great location, friendly staff and good breakfast. Being pet friendly is a major thing for us and our 2.Anytime Ive had a concern or question it was dealt with promptly. Emmanuel and Kyle will go out of their way to address your needs.
This hotel had nice rooms with comfortable beds, at a reasonable price. Good location, near Interstate 95. Modern clean building. Nice breakfast area with a good choice of items. A good value of the money.
Stayed at this location traveling back home, Clean and very up-to-date. The Sundry could have had more options for snacks, otherwise, for the amount paid the room was amazing. The young lady that checked us in was knowledgeable. Unfortunately, disappointed on the check out process, there was no one at the counter (Desk) when we left.
I had booked 2 days prior to our stay.We were on our way to Florida to visit family. This was the halfway point. We arrived at 1am. The front desk woman was kind and friendly. She even called us by name when we arrived (very nice touch). The room was clean and spacious. My husband loved the hot breakfast. Will definitely stay again!
Loved this Best Western Plus. So new clean and modern looking. Pet friendly and bathroom was fantastic laid out for my disabled husband. Staff was so polite and helpful. Decor and carpet looked brand new. Great comfortable stay!
The room was very clean. I've stayed in rooms that cost twice as much and were half as nice. It was one of the cheapest hotels in the area and is right off of I-95 for a conventient overnight stay if you're traveling up and down the east coast. Rishi checked us in/out and was very friendly and helpful.
We stayed here while visiting Savannah. It is very close and much less expensive. It looks like a new hotel from the outside but not too sure. We had water damage on our ceiling in the bathroom where the plaster was peeling, the shelves in the shower had been removed and not replaced, and supposedly the AC in the room was controlled by a thermostat which we did not have. When I asked them to check our AC, they were right on it when I told them we did not have a thermostat. When we returned from out outing the AC had been fixed. The breakfast was great. The scrambled eggs were real and very tasty. The bed and pillows were excellent. The location was very quiet. Would definitely stay again. The entrance does sneak up on you so keep your eyes open.
Stopped here overnight driving from FL to PA and was very pleased with the hotel accommodations. Was a little concerned about road noise because the hotel is located right off I-95 but it was very quiet in our room.
Great place to stop as you are traveling through. Clean room, great breakfast, friendly staff, very comfy beds. I had one of the best nights of sleep I have had in a long time there. Highly recommend.
Great little hotel. New clean modern and very friendly staff. Best free breakfast of any chain hotel. Real eggs, not powdered, and real bacon, not fake turkey bacon. Right off interstate 95. Perfect stopping point on way to NC
What a great stop on our way to FL. Front desk Clerk was very friendly. Place was very clean. Room was spacious & clean. Pet friendly too! Our well behaved Yorkies enjoyed their stay too! Nice breakfast offerings included. We will return!
* Water temperature was well above 120 degrees. * Pet deposit is per pet which is not like most other hotels of a single deposit. Corporate doesn't care, saying it's up to individual hotels as they are privately owned. * Excellent staff who were very prompt to assist. Very good breakfast. * Room was HUGE and clean and comfortable.
Like so many others, we stayed here on the drive from the Northeast to Florida. We were very pleased with this hotel: it was very clean, the staff was friendly (as were the other guests), the shower was nice and warm with good pressure, and they were very accommodating for our 2 large dogs. The hotel is also just off I-95, making navigation very easy if you're pulling off the road at night after 12 hours in the car! We will definitely stay here again on the next drive down!
If you make the drive back and forth to FL from the northeast, you're all too familiar with the options for lodging along the way. You're looking for a good value, because -- to be honest -- you're literally just looking for a clean place to sleep. But all too often you end up checking in to some place where you're greeted by someone who looks like they'd rather be ANYWHERE else. And that "recently renovated room" they promised means they put a new lamp in the corner. The bedding is made of some fabric unknown to man, and your bathroom is an undercleaned, overcaulked nightmare. Needless to say, not the recipe for a good night's sleep. So it's rare when you find a place the the BW+ in Hardeeville. For starters, it couldn't be any more convenient -- literally right across from the entrance/exit ramp. It's bright and welcoming from the outside, and the lobby is even brighter and more welcoming. You're not speaking to someone through some bulletproof window, but standing in a high ceiling lobby -- like at a REAL hotel! The night clerk who checked us in seemed happy to be there, as did the morning clerk when we checked out. The room was a breath of fresh air -- literally. No musty, stale smells. And what's that in the bathroom? A bright white stall shower! And what's that I see sitting on the bathroom vanity?? Pharmacopia soaps and shampoos!?! This was without a doubt the nicest roadside hotel I've EVER stayed at in my more than 40 years up and down I-95. To be honest, I had second thoughts about writing this review, because when everyone finds out, it might be harder to get a room. But I'm trying to be a good Trip Advisor. LOL
This was a very nice hotel for the money. Very clean, decent breakfast and very friendly staff. I was just there one night for business and I had no real issues. My only suggestion/criticism is that rooms with pets should be located together and not allowed in the whole motel. I love dogs but when one is barking for 20 minutes at 4 am it's annoying. More a bad owner than bad hotel manager thing but it was a bother. The lights by the bedside table could be brighter. For me at least, the wattage wasn't even bright enough for me to read easily/comfortably. All that said, if you're looking for a clean, decent room with nice employees you can't go wrong with this place.
We had an excellent room with a king-size bed, and beautiful updated bath and shower. The internet was fast and easy to connect. A very good breakfast was provided which included a variety of items to choose from.
Best Western Plus is a very clean and quiet place to stay. Kyle and all of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Accommodations and service is exemplary. The breakfast is delicious and served in a pleasant manber.
We were traveling north and thought this was a great stop but at lower price than stopping in Savannah. This is a brand new, very clean and by far the best in Hardeeville. All rooms are modern and doors are inside the building. The staff is courteous and very helpful. My only negative is the free breakfast. It's the usual hot buffet style but all cooked food was a little bland.
The hotel was nice and clean. They have fresh lemon water and coffee all day. My room was nice and spacious however I had a small issue with the ac unit which was quickly resolved without hesitation by Rishi (Front desk clerk) and Kyle( Maintenance Supervisor). Thanks again for the pleasant stay you guys rock!!!
Stopped here coming home from a vacation. Very pleasant. Everything was brand new. Ritchie, the day manager was extremely helpful. He called the main reservation line and arranged for me to use some of points I have from staying at Best Western's. The first room must of had some "tension" issues because the bottom of the doorframe popped off as soon as we walked in the door, but Ritchie to the resecuse and he put us in another room. The second room was great. Large bathroom with walk-in shower, but missing a soapdish in it. The mirror over the bathroom sink had a light built in to it, very novel idea. The main bedroom had two nice twin beds and very comfortable. The breakfast area was large and very clean, but we just grabbed some coffee and yogurt to go. The only real issue is the musty smell in the lobby as you walk in, something that could put off some people. I now such issues are hard to deal with especially in damp areas. But I would stay there again.
Our Room was comfortable and clean. The best part of our visit was the staff at our Hotel!!! Rishi & Emanuel went out of their way to be helpful. They and the rest of the staff made our little visit at a stressfull time a most enjoyable visit!!! I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again even if we don't have to evacuate!!
We came here on the advice of a friend. We needed at pet friendly hotel to escape Hurricane Florence. We booked a King Suite. The staff were wonderful. We were stressed having to leave our home with the impeding Hurricane and the staff did their best to make us feel welcome. Our room was clean and modern. The air conditioner was noisy but I did not care. The bed was comfortable. Housekeeping was great. We would not let them in our room because of our pets but we met in the hall everyday to exchange towels and get clean trash bags. Breakfast was fine. There was a nice variety. Rishi and Emmanuel at the front desk were very helpful. We were close to Savannah and spent time there. Thank you everyone for all your kindness.
Easy access from Interstate 95. Only a short drive down Rt 17 into Savannah for some tourist activities and a good dinner. Good breakfast selection. My only complaint (for most BW properties) is a noisy AC.
Not sure what is happening at this place, but 3 dehumidifiers running in the hall should have been my first hint! Room was musty and damp despite the AC in the room. The lobby must of been 90 degrees! When I spoke to the manager at check out, he said it is the time of year when humidity is hard to control! Give me a break! I live in Florida and know humidity, and something was terribly wrong here. I regret not changing rooms but was already unpacked and late when I realized room situation was not going to improve. Overall, I think this is a nice place, but one major issue to resolve before I stay here again.
We booked two rooms here and stayed overnight while traveling through the area. The rooms were dirty (bathrooms had dirt in the corners and hair was in bathrooms and on carpet of room). The hvac system didn't work??? We aren't sure but the rooms were DAMP. Why did we stay?? It was late at night and the extent of the issues didn't become apparent until the light of day. Upon check out, we explained our disappointed AFTER being asked about our experience by the person checking us out. We were contacted by the owner who promised a refund. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN! He has been contacted by us multiple times and now refuses to follow through on his own offer of a refund. Sorely disappointed. Why offer something and then take it back!? He says that "we stayed overnight and it's not refundable." You know what? We thought we'd be getting a clean room! This place is way overpriced for its location (next to a falling down Travelodge) and there were definitely homeless people panhandling. I would not let my teen daughters go get something from the car by themselves. Overall, this was, at best, an uncomfortable experience that we paid WAY TOO MUCH for and at worst, being lied to by the owner about the refund was absolutely a horrible way to do business and make a positive impression for the Best Western brand.
This is only the second time I have given a one star. The bed was soft and the a/c very noisy, it sounded like a freight train! But the big problem is damp. They must have had a problem as the reception and corridors smelt damp and they had many de-humidifiers working. They had tried to cover the smell in the room with a fragrance of some kind. The night has left us with headaches and feeling unwell. Don't stay here till it is sorted!
I was so overjoyed that the Best Western in Savannah was full, as I was exhausted and heading south to Florida from PA. The customer service here is superior. I've stayed in a lot of BWs, and recently, I've stayed at a lot other big chains, one in particular. I have to say that, not only was the price reasonable, my room at the Hardeeville Best Western was every bit as nice as, and even nicer, than some of the Holiday Inn Express I stayed in over the last 12 months. I've never seen a cleaner bathroom in any hotel; I could smell the bleach and the white things were sparkling white! The breakfast was well attended and the offerings were hot, fresh, cold where they were supposed to be and the coffee was delicious. I forgot a couple of things in my car, and the front desk was right on it. There weren't enough carts for everyone, but the guy in maintenance went out of his way to hunt one down. You're less than 45 minutes away from Savannah, so why pay Savannah prices? This is a well lit, well manned hotel with a lobby, so everyone has to go through the front desk. I like that when I'm traveling alone. It's clean, quiet and the beds are excellent. I cannot say enough good about this Best Western in Hardeeville, but I am looking forward to staying there again. It's classified as "mid range," I suppose, but this was half the price of some of the "luxury" hotels I've stayed in. I paid less than $80 for this room and could not have gotten a better night's sleep.
First time here just for one night. After a long journey we found this accommodation to be excellent. The room was nice, but the bed was absolutely the most comfortable we have experienced in our various travels to the States. Prices are reasonable and it's breakfast offering was also very good, with plenty to choose from. We would certainly stay here again.
This is a great overnight stop while on the road. Everything was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the hot breakfast was delicious and well stocked. We also needed a crib for our baby, and they had it ready in the room for us when we arrived. Thank you!
My family and I stayed here on our way down to Orlando. Very clean, spacious rooms and the free breakfast in the AM was great. Front desk attendants were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
After 7 hours on the road we desperately needed some shut eye. After a quick search and thanks to the reviews we decided to go with this location. We arrived after 3am and they gave us a discount for arriving so late. Reviews of this hotel we spot on, it was very clean and inviting. Room was very nice, very clean and most importantly beds and pillows very comfy. I will definitely mark this location as a fav and will definitely stay here again. Thanks Best Western!
We have stayed here many times while moving from NC to Florida since last October, 2017. The staff is always courteous, and helpful. The breakfast is better than you can get at a chain restaurant. It is kept full and fresh. I would rate it at the highest level.
For a few dollars more, this hotel is worth it. The beds were very comfortable. Nice 40 in. flat tv in room. There is a pool. A very filling breakfast in the morning. Stop by the welcome center just over the border to get the best rates.
a super employee who was staffing the kitchen bringing out hot food and on the phone at the front desk and actually came by our room as we were loading a cart and helped us get it back out to our car...give him a raise.. the room was great handicap with a lovely shower good beds.
We had some car troubles and it took two days to get repaired, so we needed to spend the night. Our mechanic called Kyle and got us a room. We were able to check in early since it was early morning when we dropped the car off at the mechanics. The property is new, and the rooms were really nice and extremely clean. We took advantage of the pool which was nice on what was a very warm day. The free breakfast was good and Kyle kept everything stocked and checked on us to make sure we were good and if we needed anything. I would definitely return to this property again. Everything was great, but Kyle made our stay one to remember.
We decided to stay here at the last minute and were not sorry we did. We were checked in promptly by the front desk. Seems to be a new hotel with clean rooms and many good breakfast options. We would definitely stay there again when traveling on I-95.
Last-minute booking made super smooth and easy with very satisfactory room, free food WiFi and nice complimentary breakfast, as well as terrific recommendation of local joint for dinner by Rishi and Kyle at front desk, who were super helpful and friendly.
We checked in around 8 pm. Front desk associate seemed to be only employee working. He was helpful and kind, but could not leave the front area. Our first room was very mildewy, and he kindly changed our room. They were out of pillows when we checked in, and he did a search and called the room later to let us know he had found a pillow for us. Had to haul the add-on cot to the room myself, and go back to the desk for the pillow and cot linens, as no one was available to assist by bringing any of those things to our room. The beds were very comfy and we had a good night's rest. The breakfast was very busy, but they repeatedly replenished the buffet. Seemed to be more staff helping in the morning!!
The check in person was very accommodating and helpful. The room was worthy of the mid range price and bath and towels were what you would expect. Breakfest with eggs, bacon or sausage plus many other choices was part of the stay. I would gladly return if I were to be in the area.
I was looking for a mid priced hotel that was pet friendly. I found what I needed at best western. 2 queen beds with lots of pillows that made the wife happy. The bathroom was the cleanest I've seen in some time. The shower was the best, and far better than my home shower. There is a clean, manicured dog walk area and a clean pool. My only complaint was the lack of places to eat nearby. I only found 3 fast food spots nearby.
The bed is soooo comfy after a long day on the road and much traffic. The mirror in the bathroom is very neat with a light as a border. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty but somewhat cold. I like my food off the stove hot! Plenty of selection..... This is our 2nd time there and will stay again.
My Dad and I were on a road trip to Florida, and we were looking for a place to sleep when we saw Bw plus. We felt it had A very clean exterior. With all the options on the highway We were very impressed. Friendly customer service , modern rooms a, great breakfast , and affordable price. This will become our go to place when we travel through Savannah.
I didn't really have any expectations about staying here, because I had never stayed at one before. I just wanted a reasonably priced, decent hotel because I had been staying at a number of different hotels.while looking for a place to live. I was very pleasantly surprised.Nice spacious, comfortable and quiet room on first floor. Nice pool, Decent breakfast. Grace at the front desk was especially helpful and a friendly welcome.
When we arrived, our check-in date had been entered wrong, so we were a day late and already charged as a "no show". Staff got this resolved we were directed to our room. The room was clean but the air conditioner was loud. Breakfast was very good with a lot to choose from. Staff was very nice. We would stay here again!
Was treated great by the entire staff! There for 4 days. Hotel like new. Nice beds and shower. Quiet. I was worried about the noise as it is close to the interstate but it was very quiet. Good breakfast.
Once you Getz North of Savannah on I-95 it gets difficult finding good hotels and restaurants. I called them asking for a couple of rooms and they gave me a high rate. I mentioned a coupon rate which they said was a walk in rate. After checking in we discovered the elevator was not working, but this got repaired. The kids went for a swim in a very nice pool, but the outside shower did not work. The rooms themselves are good And the bathroom has a large shower (No tub). The Hotel shampoo/conditioners are tiny and barely good for one person. TvV was a large Samsung with lots of channels. The fitness center was large, but had cheap equipment. No AC control. The next morning we had an excellent breakfast which had Eggs, waffles, cereals, and other items. Very good. I would like to point out that going out for dinner is challenging. No decent restaurants within 50miles. We used a lot of gas on this.
The young man at the desk never smiled but at least was polite. Neither did the young man at the desk in the morning. Our room was clean and comfortable. Dog was barking though across the hall. Left before breakfast served. Nothing remarkable about this place good or bad. We arrived, we slept, we left.
We needed a place to stay for one night on our drive to Walt Disney World. We chose this hotel based on reviews. I doubt I'd stay here again. Lobby area is very nice. Check-in went smoothly, if a bit impersonal. We were assigned room 131, way at the end of the hall, right next to Interstate 95. Immediately upon opening the door, I was hit with the overwhelming smell of cat (?) pee. The room was very muggy, and I hoped the smell would dissipate once the AC kicked on. Unfortunately, the smell persisted and the dampness in the room did not abate. Have you ever gotten into bed only to have your sheets feel, and smell, clammy and musty? We blasted the AC all night, when we could control it at all. It was a standard under-the-window unit, with obvious controls. When I reported it to the front desk at checkout, the clerk laughed and said "you control it on the thermostat on the wall". There was no thermostat on the wall. The loud unit did, however, mask the roar of the trucks on I95! I also reported that the refrigerator did not work at all, and his response was that he would report it to maintenance; no apology given. The free breakfast was adequate and the breakfast area was clean. I could not wait to get out of that smelly, damp room so we were on the road by 7:00 am. I will not return to this location, nor would I recommend it to family or friends.
Stayed at this Best Western on the way to Disney and it was much better than the place we stayed at last year in Ridgeland. Both my room & my grandparents room seemed clean and we all had a nice place to rest after traveling all day. We ate dinner at a small local Mexican place which the person at the front desk had recommended. Overall, it was a good place to stop overnight.
This Best Western was very modern and extremely clean, they must focus on cleanliness. The pool was clean. The staff while all of them were pleasant the day shift could show the night crew a thing or two about customer service in general. The price was great, they had promos going on. The breakfast was free but not as good as the BW in VA we stayed at. Not as many good options for my vegan leaning teenagers. But a good experience in general.
The hotel is located just off I-95 and has space for parking moving trucks with attached car trailers. It is also pet-friendly in designated rooms. The hotel has been recently remodeled by the looks of it. You know how the television remote control is supposed to be the dirtiest part of any hotel room? Odd but welcome room addition: the remote control is in a recycleable bag so you know it was cleaned by the cleaning staff and has been placed in a new bag. Breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs, bacon, danish, cereal, fruit, biscuits, sausage gravy, great coffee, and other items. One thing I noticed: the wifi was spotty at the far end of the hotel, which is probably where the pet rooms are for easy access to the outside. Ask for an internal room if wifi is important and you're not traveling with pets.
I suspect when things work it would be nice place. Internet cant reach into rooms if this is important for plan your next travel leg. We tried two rooms and each had this problem. Staff was quick to respond but vendor couldn't fix the problem. Some odd little items needed fixing our upgrading which seemed to point to an owner/franchisee not understanding or the BW standards. (TV and coffee maker didn't work but found behind heavy entertainment chest they were not plugged in.) Sheets on the beds were questionable. Canned, dehydrated, packaged foods were typical for this chain.
check in was horrendous with Angel but Grace more than made up for it and took great care of me the next morning place was clean nice reasonable and convenient to my travels to GA plus you dont have to pay that stupid GA hotel tax.. good place to stop along I-95
This is a very good BW , the staff really care. The beds are great. The breakfast is quite good. Clean, quiet! The rooms are well maintained. The front desk has a business area with a computer and printer.
This was the dirtiest and worst of the worst Best Western we ever stayed at. We are Gold Card members of your Group and Friends had told us make sure it was a Best Western PLUS. So when we saw the sign we decided to go to this one. In talking with a few other guest they were on the first floor and didn't find any problems. SO this leaves me to believe forget about the 2nd floor which was where our room was. Asked for a Quiet and Clean room. We made it upstairs with our bags etc. and the key wouldn't work. Another guest tried to help and wouldn't work for him either, .made the comment they didn't activate from the front desk. Now my husband had to go back down the hall, down the elevator and to the front desk..Clerk insisted he had activated and accused him of having his cell phone in his hand..(NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE DOOR). It worked on the first try on his return upstairs. The first thing i noticed was the stained bedskirts that looked like it had unsanitary drips an stains on them. The bedsheet was wrinkled and did not look like it had been changed on both beds. Giving me an uneasy feeling, but I checked and made sure they were not stained. After a long drive you hate to have unpack and repack within minutes to change rooms, after having to do a search and check. Your Tired & hungry and only want a nice room to sleep in. Not to mention the walking back to front desk again because they were not competent. It didn't appear to be busy at the time altho a few others were checking in.. Decided we would not create a scene and just ignore and hope for the best. The Bathroom floor was so sticky, slippers/barefeet/shoes..you stuck to it. I had to put towel on the floor in order to use the commodeeven with slippers on.. The door to the shower that you opened (glass) to get into had the metal strip broken and sticking out so that you could easily cut your ankle foot on it. My husband warned me and told me to push the doors the opposite way of the handles. A dangerous situation looking for an accident to happen. Again at a time discovered when it was most inconvenient to call the front desk. After a long drive and in need of rest the last thing we needed was to have to complain to the front desk clerk. Again who now had changed. Beds were uncomfortable, looked good when i examined, but not once you layed on. Seemed like they coulda turned the mattress so that just one side was not always slept on. Since this was a double bed room. Two people usually always use both beds tending to sleep on same side each time. The "WONDERFUL" breakfast that the clerk had told my husband when he checked in was the again the least amount of choices and food i have ever seen at a Best Western we have stayed at. The Clerk was coming from some room in the back with a refill on the scrambled eggs..which made you wonder where the food was coming from???. There was no one in the room to help and tell you what/where the food or containers were. Altho as i just said this was the least amount of food i have ever seen at a Best Western. I have to say this was the worst "facility" that we chose to stay at the Best Western chain. I would not recommend and would like to see someone check into the Manager or owner?? Seemed the only help were the changes of Clerks checking you in. Why they are short staffed and who examines rooms after a person has supposedly cleaned and ready for next guest. Looks for necessary repairs. My husband did choose to stay the following night at a BEST WESTERN in Stafford, VA...IT WAS NOT A PLUS, but It was like staying at the HILTON by comparison to the one in Hardeeville, SC. We stopped at the Wecome Stop in VA and they gave us the book so we could see where we could stay. I called to find out if they had a room. Requested 1st floor and quiet. The girl who handled the call was most pleasant and told me she had a room and would hold for us . We were now 20 minutes away.
It looks like the hotel has been recently renovated, it is very clean & in excellent shape! I have been traveling with my dog and the room was absolutely superior! The front desk was helpful & accommodating ! It was so far the best Western Hotel I ever stayed in.
Very nice, brand new hotel, super clean and modern. Great stop over on our way home, very comfortable bed and large room. Would definitely recommend this hotel, great location off the highway. Perfect for travelling.
Very nice Inn and Suites. The Best Western + Plus was great, very clean, staff friendly, bent over backwards to be helpful. Restaurants in the local area lacking. Fast food , Wendy's and Burger King within walking distance.
We stayed here going to and coming back from a trip to Florida. We had a $20 gift card that we used on our first night. The rate was pretty good. The rooms were nicely furnished and very clean. The breakfast had a lot of choices and was well stocked. Lots of seating in the breakfast area. Free newspapers were offered each morning. One morning they did not have the newest paper yet, but Kyle brought one to us while we were eating breakfast. Great customer service from him! Overall, a great experience and would definitely stay here again.
This locale is a nice surprise. Artistically painted with lovely stonework and well cared-for grounds. We had a nice suite, all recently renovated. Wish we had time to swim in the pool...it was large and very inviting. Nice breakfast.
This hotel in Hardeeville is very clean, excellent caring staff, and wonderful choices for good all around breakfast. We travel with one cat and choices for good hotels are limited. This hotel is an exceptionally clean, no nasty animal smells. We like it because it is on the SC/GA border and half way on our trips. The rooms have either tub/showers, walk in only, and handicap. Be sure to reserve your choice. It's a small exit with limited options for gas and food, but sufficient.
There are a lot of places to choose to stay in this area near the highway access to Hilton Head Island. However, this was by far the most economical and convenient. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and size of room. I had a king bed, a seating area, and a desk area. The bathroom had been updated recently and everything else was nice and tidy. I was only staying the night and needed a place to stay the night that wasn't going to break the bank. This hit the spot. There was a coffee maker in the room as well and complimentary breakfast downstairs. Breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast. Both gentleman at check-in and check-out were extremely courteous. Would definitely stay here again!
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Hotel pictures listed were accurate unlike most hotels. Room was clean and updated. Staff was polite. Kyle (front desk staff) was great!! Will plan to stay again whenever I return to the area.
Very good hotel for the price. Room very clean. Decent breakfast selection. Eggs, Breakfast meat and coffee could be hotter, Staff very professional and courteous. Easy access from I-95 exit 5 in South Carolina
We stop at this hotel as our halfway point between southwest Florida and mid state Virginia during our trek as snow birds. Great location just north of Savannah, clean facility, friendly staff and pet friendly.
We were tired after fighting heavy rains and checked in here after seeing it online. It was much nicer than expected. The very nice breakfast was a big plus, it was a much better quality than other similar hotels. We will return.
Had a wonderful visit at this property! Enjoyed the remodeled room and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was fresh and delicious . Thanks to the friendly staff for making my stay complete. I hope to see you again.
Easy on & off to highway. Clean and good breakfast. Good dinner at Chickin Lickin. Great place to stay as we were attend the RBC Heritage Golf tournament in Hilton Head. We will stay there again if we ever get this way again.
The room was clean, AC was noisy, bed was comfortable. The Quality of breakfast food was terrible. The hotel needs to strive to serve a breakfast similar to Holiday Inn Express or reduce the overall price of the room!
Clean, spacious room, comfortable bed, complete breakfast. Close to I95, although quite narrow driveway to get into parking lot. Enough room in parking lot if you are towing a boat or trailer. Staff is friendly. good night's sleep.
This modern and clean Best Western Hotel is our go-to hotel for a stopover between Virginia and Florida. It is right off of I-95 with easy on and off access. Friendly staff, comfortable room and a hot breakfast make it ideal.
First off, the facility is gorgeous and the staff is very willing to please. However, we returned from dinner only to have some dog left unattended in another room down the hall barking for an hour until the owners came back. During the late evening we also heard other dogs barking from time to time. In the morning I watched a Great Dane and several other dogs being paraded out past the desk to leave. I know the description of the hotel says that it is pet friendly but if I would have wanted to be around that many animals I would have stayed on a farm. I have unfounded thoughts of dirty animals using the furniture in my room before me. Just be aware of the pet policy.
Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There was plenty to choose from for breakfast. Hotel is close to many shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. Overall very good.
I can't quite put my finger on it, but this hotel was not exactly what I was expecting. For the price...$125+... I was expecting more. The room was nice... clean... nice walk-in shower instead of tub/shower, lots of breakfast choices. But I was expecting a "newer" hotel. This is an old hotel that has been remodeled. Nicely done but still an old hotel. And there was something about the smell in the room. Like I said, can't put my finger on it and didn't notice it after a while, but something different. They allow pets, so maybe that was the problem. Be sure to ask for a pet-free room if they have them. Oh, and what's up with remodeled hotels putting in beds that are taller than I am?? Came close to needing a step stool to be able to get onto the bed! Had a room up front. Road noise was very distracting all night.
This is one of the nicest motels we have ever stayed at! King size suite was great! Bathroom was very clean and big! Room looked brand new! No smoking so that was nice, too! So glad we found this place and got a great price as well!
Staff was ok, room was larger than a normal highway motel and the breakfast was also above average. However, since it is fairly close to the highway we asked for a room as far away as possible from the highway and were given one near the far end away from the traffic. But we still heard the trucks all night long and there were also loud trains in the morning. So if you need a good night's sleep, I suggest you stay elsewhere.
The hotel is brand new and designed very nicely, if only they took better care of it! Where to begin...... The floor is tile in the entry and the bathroom, and it was filthy. You could see shoe prints and what appeared to be spilled coffee. In addition, The carpet had crumbs of food on it. My husband found a piece of glass on the towels, and our sheets were dirty. They had actual dirt marks and hair all over them. We called the front desk for another room but they were sold out, as were all the hotels within 2 hours driving. (that's how we ended up here on our move to Florida from NY) they offered us new sheets only after my husband pushing in a lengthy conversation, but we had to go get them and make the bed ourselves. After all of our issues, I don't think our room had been cleaned at all. In the morning my husband heard another gentleman complaining about similar issues. His wife talked to my husband and told him they had to get new sheets as well. Management was not helpful or sympathetic to fixing any of the issues for any of its guests. Disappointed, would not recommend or return!
We were looking for a typical I-95 exit hotel and found this gem. Great service. Good price. Wonderful and spacious room. High quality bedding. Good breakfast. Very clean and comfortable. Recently renovated.
Never stayed In Hardeeville SC BW before. Looked for a one night stay coming up from Venice Florida on the Internet for Best Western in Hardeeville. Was easy to make the booking and when we arrived the staff made us welcome and had are room ready. The room was clean and the beds were great. The desk person gave us a list of places to eat and directed use on how to find some of the places. In the morning we had a good breakfast and was on are way north. The manager Nazira has a great place and next time we travel south we will try staying there again.
Great place to stop!! We were driving north and needed a place to stay over night. Randomly chose Best Western Plus. Clean!!!!! Friendly!!!! Great Breakfast!! Couldn't have been happier. Easy on and off 95 and priced just right.
We stopped for the first time at a Best Western Plus in Hardeeville, SC. This is a one year old hotel. The hotel is clean, bed was comfortable, free hot full breakfast, free USA Today paper. Rates are reasonable and pet friendly. Nazira was on the front desk and friendly and helpful. We would definitely stop here again.
Hardeeville is the perfect half way point when I'm traveling to Florida. We started avoiding Hardeeville hotels for about 6 years after some horrible experiences with a different chain. I decided to give this Best Western a chance after a great experience with them in Nashville last fall. The Hardeeville location did not disappoint. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the bathroom was spacious and seemed recently updated. I wish I had taken a pic of the huge shower (no tub) - very clean, beautiful quartz. The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety (eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, waffles, yogurt, fruit, breads, cereal, etc.). Checkout was smooth. It was a little pricey, but we stayed during a spring break weekend, so that's to be expected. We will definitely stay here again.
We stopped here on our way to Florida. It's in a great location just off the highway. The rooms are large, clean, well appointed. The breakfast was quite nice and included in the hotel price. Our room overlooked a little yard for dogs to run. It was very quiet as well. The only "odd" thing I could say is that we booked one room and when we arrived, they looked us and asked if we wanted two rooms. I'm an adult female and I was traveling with my sister and her two children. They looked at us strangely when we said "no" to two rooms.
Wonderful stay! The staff was really friendly and sweet! Our room was emaculate!!! Not much to do in that area, but Savannah and Hilton Head were both 20 minutes away! Kunik on the front desk had a ready smile and eager to help!
We attempted to stay at this hotel using a coupon which they would not honour as they said we had to arrive before 4pm, which it did not say on the coupon. When I asked for a price without a coupon, she said she had to put all our information in to tell me what the rate would be. So now they have my e-mail, credit card, drivers licence number, and I turned down the room as the rate was more than 50$ above the coupon price. Not good business. Makes me think twice about Best Western.
This hotel is the best hotel we've stayed at on our travel from PA to FL. We travel with our dog and so we have stay at pet friendly hotels. Generally speaking, hotels along I-95 are lower quality, but this hotel was a big exception. The rooms are very clean. The free breakfast is awesome. The surcharge for dogs is very reasonable (other hotels charge as much as $75 or more which is very unfair). The staff is friendly. There is a grass area where dogs can walk and do their business. I could go on. We will definitely stay there in the future.
I was very upset with our treatment by this hotel. I had reserved a room a week prior to our visit, and had a reservation for tonight (with a confirmation number). At 7:45 PM, my husband and I recieved a call and were told that no rooms were available despite our reservation. We were told "It's an overbooking issue" and "There is no room." No explanation or apologies. The person who called was quite harsh with us when we asked for an explanation. We were left in a position where, after 15 hours of driving with a toddler, we had no place to stay and all hotels in the area were completely booked. No other optiobs were presented to us. I have never written a negative review before, but felt that I had to share my experience as I relied highly on this hotel's positive reviews in choosing it. I have stayed at Best Western many times, and will not be doing so again.
Newer hotel. Friendly and caring staff, very comfortable bed and linens . Great bathroom soft towels. Nice breakfast selection. We will stay here again on our travels south. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I believe it is dog friendly also.
When we arrived to check in there was a couple with a friend ahead of us. Ashley, the person checking people in,made a mistake checking them in and had to call her manager a couple times to help her correct the mistake. As we waited, there were more people coming in to check in. It was a very stressful time for Ashley as she said this was her first time on her own. She handled this situation with the best customer service skills I have seen in a long time! She did not lose her cool-as the customers were quibbling over $10.00 on the bill. She acknowledged the people waiting-letting them know she was sorry and would be with us as soon as she could (not just once, but several times)--she called her manager in a timely manner to help her (a couple times)--she was so polite to the people she was helping--and she kept her tone and manner very professional! I would like her manager to know that we were very impressed with her customer service skills--she deserves high praise!!
We normally don't stay at Best Western hotels but this one is trully one of the better places we've stayed. Rooms are clean, updated and beds are extremely comfortable. The hot breakfast was also really tasty, kudos to the cook. We will definitely stay here again.
This is a super clean hotel, everything is really fine. During the last 25 years, we splept almost every where on I 95 from washington dc to Folrida, and it is the best value. The owners of the place seems to care about the customers.
After 8 hours of driving needed to stop for the night. Looked on line for a hotel near the upcoming exit called and a very nice lady named Ashley took our resevation. She greeted us at the door, when we had a problem with the tv she was the one to help. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast in the am was wonderful, hot and cold items, make your own fresh waffles. Ashley was there in the am to greet us. Excellent value, especially for a quick overnight stay.
We stopped here on our way home from Orlando. We got in late and left early. It was clean & comfortable. The room was spacious and everything was better than expected. Really nice breakfast spread - with lots of options. Eggs, breakfast sausage & bacon, biscuits & Gravy, waffles, and all sorts of fruit, rolls, muffins, cereals etc... The staff was friendly & helpful. All in all for a one night stop it was a good value for the price.
We stopped in late at night for a room on our way up 95. The man at the front desk was very friendly and checked us in quickly. The room was exceptionally clean and the beds were comfy. The free breakfast included waffles, bagels and toast, cereal, yogurt, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and more! Highly recommend.
We stopped for 1 night on the way down the coast to FL. The location was absolutely perfect for us - immediately off the 95 exit and right next to a gas station and convenience store. We checked in late at night, I think it was about 11:30 pm. Check in and check out were quick and easy. The room was surprisingly quiet, especially since we were facing the parking lot and so close to a main road. We didn't hear a peep until the alarm went off in the morning. The ac units were nice and quiet, too. We had 12 in our travel party split up into 3 rooms. The reviews of the beds were mixed, but I slept just fine. The coffee in the room was ok. The fresh coffee in the breakfast room was very good. I don't usually consider free breakfast when choosing a hotel but we were paying for all the rooms so a nice breakfast for 12 people really made us feel like we were getting a good value. The breakfast room is a good size, very clean, and well attended. The food was being refilled right up until the the end of the breakfast time. There were lots of choices. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. The kids really enjoyed the waffles. They even had fruit loops, which my youngest appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.
Recently remodeled hall ways, adequately appointed rooms, and reasonable rates! The bed and pillows are fantastic, always a restful nights sleep at Best Western Plus. Just wish the maority Best Westerns had these beds. The breakfast was good, with a varied selection, we stayed 2 nights. So glad the "doggie rooms" were a long way from the suites! We always enjoy a "no pet" encounter !!! Dog people should not be allowed in these hotels......
Very friendly staff both during check-in and the next morning. Lovely large room with remodeled bathroom. Our room was considered an upgrade (we arrived late after a long drive) and it was super nice with a sitting area that had a couch and coffee table. Sachet tea bags next to the coffee maker. Breakfast in the morning offered a nice selection of hot choices. Best stay of our trip. My only complaint, being 5'2" was the height of the bed; next time I travel I will take a step stool as too many places have changed to this style mattress
We just stopped for a quick overnighter on our way to Florida. We found Nilesh to be very pleasant and accommodating, which was welcomed as we were road weary. The room was very nice, neat and clean. The bathroom was beautiful and looked newly done. Breakfast was good and kept full and tidy. We were cheerfully greeted in the morning by Kyle who was friendly and helpful. All in all a very nice stay. And very convenient to 95.
I was glad that I had stayed here last year when it just opened. The first room that I was given had a vile odor, but the gentleman at the front desk promptly and without hesitation changed my room. My only complaint about breakfast,at 7am,was that the eggs were not warm. Plenty of choices, more than I could eat,so it's a minor issue.
We mean right off the interstate, like two tenths of a mile. Newly renovated hotel by Best Western. Nice size room with everything you need while traveling to Florida. Not a place to spend several days visiting. About 675 miles from Pennsylvania. Free breakfast in the morning, pretty standard food. The only negative would be the scrambled eggs were cooked way to long. Waffles were excellent.
This hotel had everything one could ask for in a hotel. It was clean, modern, great staff and the breakfast was more than we have come to expect in such 'free breakfast' situations. But, for me, the outstanding service at check-in by the night clerk, Nilesh, was a high point. He really went the extra mile to accommodate us and our large breed dog. Thanks, Nilesh!!
Stayed at this hotel on a Wednesday night and with the pet fee of $20 per pet our room cost was $146 because we had two pets. I felt this was extremely high for the area. In the hallway leading to our room was the carts like housekeeping would use. Our room was average but clean and had a nice walk in shower but no place to sit at a table and eat or have a snack. There was a nice area to bring your pets and bags were supplied to pick up after your pet and that area was kept clean. Breakfast was good except for the coffee and had all the usual items. The gentleman handling breakfast was very nice and personable. This hotel was not a good deal for the price paid but would be good for someone traveling without pets. We probably won't stay there again as it really wasn't a good value for the money.
Myself and my family really liked this hotel. The hotel was clean and in a very convenient location. The gentleman at the front desk was helpful. We had a great stay. The breakfast in the morning was very nice. All of the staff was nice also.
What a wonderful stay! We arrived late to this location and were greeted with caring staff. Our room was modern and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. We enjoyed our breakfast with variety of food and fruit. Thank you goes to all the staff!
This is a nice clean place with comfortable rooms. The owner and staff are really great and bent over backwards to be accomodating. They kept the breakfast room open all day to help the people stuck in the weather. Very nice people and nice clean rooms. I will definitely stay again next time through.
On our way to Florida and stopped for our nights rest. Room was nice and staff was very helpful. Of course the bad weather moved in over night and we were not able to leave. 95 was a parking lot covered in ice and snow. The hotel filled up fast. The staff here was very helpful and always smiling. The manager was helping people find places to stay. Can not say enough about the staff ,keeping food in the breakfast room, answering questions about the roads just being as being helpful as possible to people who were anxious about their travels. Thanks to all of them.
Place well located for a stop from the I95. Good breakfast. The most impressive was willingness of the staff to help. A special thanks to Kyle for his help as we needed transport to the other side of the city.
This is a hotel located right off I-95 and convenient for travellers like us. We stopped early because of traffic and end up staying an extra night due to winter storm! We got a suit because we wanted a king size bed and we were glad we had the sitting area as we waited out the storm. The room was clean though the drapes were dirty. The bathroom was clean and recently renovated. The front desk staff were helpful with a tv problem and also for directions to restaurants. I like a hotel that feels more like home and the leather/plastic chair seats aren't part of that equation. All that being said the price was right.
The hotel was super clean. The king size suite was excellent. The grounds were very clean especially the area for pets. It was nice to have a specific area for pets which clean up bags were provided. Would recommend this hotel for sure.
This is a great hotel very well laid out and all new rooms. It's a very nice place to stay. Local restaurants in the area are lacking though if you want a nice dinner out as there is not much in the area.
My family stayed at the Best Western in Hardeeville as we were traveling over the holidays. The hotel was very clean and looked really nice. On the morning that we left, I accidentally left my purse in our hotel room. The supervisor of the hotel Kyle Jenkins called me as soon as the housekeeper gave him my purse. Kyle went the extra mile to keep my purse safe and make sure it got returned to me with nothing missing. I was really impressed by the trustworthiness of the staff! I would highly recommend this hotel!
This Best Western in Hardyville is a truly outstanding property. Extreme cleanliness, wonderful friendly staff, very comfortable rooms with great beds and a wonderful walk in shower that was immaculate. This is an outstanding property at a very low cost.
We were happy with room. Clean and comfortable. Looked fairly new. Staff very friendly and helpful. Really easy to get to when exiting I-95. While I didn't take the time to have breakfast, I did grab a cup of coffee for the road and checked out breakfast area. It was very well stocked and looked like a great breakfast. We were on our way to Florida and will definitely stop on the way back through!
My husband, dog and myself were in the way to Florida, not only for Christmas but to tell my Granny goodbye for the last time- we had been in the car traveling 10 mph for the past 3 hours. Traffic was a nightmare! We were grouchy and irritable when we decided to pull off, we had planned to drive straight through. I could not be more pleased with where we picked to stay. We were greeted by Nilesh, as busy as he was he made it easy and was very pleasant. The room was immaculate and the beds were amazing! We were only there for about 8 hours and got up to leave at 4am. There Nilesh was getting breakfast ready, stopped to greet us and check us out. He offered what was ready to eat even though breakfast did not start for 2 hours. I have worked in the hotel industry for years and am pleased to recommend this Best Western Plus to anyone traveling on I 95. Thank you Nilesh for making us feel welcomed!!! Huge pat on the back for your personality and customer service!
Hotel was very clean, rooms nicely decorated, bed was very comfortable. Nice continental breakfast. Very conveniently located right off the interstate. Nilesh, Rishi and Kyle were extremely nice and helpful. Checking in and out was very easy. About half way between Destin/Navarre Beach Florida. Will definitely stay here again!!
Hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. Small town. No place to eat if you are gluten free. Breakfast bar doesn't have anything that is gluten free either, except fruit, juice, and coffee. My husband had the breakfast bar and he was happy with the choices and taste of the food. They have waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, yogurt, juice, bread, bagels, pastries, etc.
Stayed here for three nights during our visits to Hilton Head and Savannah. The rooms are new and comfortable, the breakfast has a lot of variety of hot and cold selections, the staff is friendly, and the location was perfect for visiting both Hilton Head and Savannah without having to change hotels. Glad we stayed at this hotel.
Nice stay at Best Western Plus in Hardeeville, SC. My night before in Greenville at the Baymont on Woodfuff, was less than satisfactory, so this was a great welcome!! Will definintely stay here in the future.
we enjoyed our brief stay very well, just passing through although on our to NY for my mother's funeral service, we almost always stay at one of your BW hotels. although we've experience 1 unsatisfactory stay at your BW hotels, does not discourage us from staying at your BW hotels.
This location advertises itself outside as new. If so, the staff should have been fully trained during orientation before it opened. Our bathroom had what appeared to be makeup foundation smeared on the counter. Our ice cube bucket was full of water (melted ice????) And there appeared to be pink algae/mildew already forming in the corner of the shower. When checking out, the clerk barely looked up and did not ask how our stay was. Instead he just handed over the receipt for the night's stay. Maybe he was upset I interrupted is texting on his phone.
We have stayed here several times and the staff is always welcoming and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Great location immediately off of I-95. Even our pet is comfortable and happy to stay there.
My stay at the Best Western Plus in Hardeeville, SC was great. The receptionist was very friendly and greeted us with a smile. Also told us about some good places to eat. The room was very comfortable and made our stay very pleasant.
This hotel was reasonable priced. It was super clean and very comfortable. Even though it was right next to the highway, it was very quiet. The rooms have mocrowave and refrigerator. It's pet friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
This hotel stay was a short overnight in the middle of a long trip; I arrived in time to have dinner and go to bed. Ample parking was available close to the lobby, which was great. I was given an accessible room, but didn't need it. As a result, showering wasn't very pleasant: without a shower curtain, it was cold in the shower and the water went all over the bathroom floor. The bathroom had a vanity area that had none of its own lighting. Had I wanted to put on make-up, I'd not have been able to see very well. The bed was comfortable and the room was delightfully dark. Breakfast was decent!
Excellent hotel In a convenient location along the I95 corridor in the greater Savannah area. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed and upscale bathroom. The Front Desk was efficiently managed by Rishi, who recommended a nearby restaurant with authentic Mexican food and quick service.
This is my second visit here.My first was unplanned and was a very pleasant surprise. Great place to stay. The rooms are newly renovated and nicely decorated with nice amenities. Very comfortable accommodations, but my room was close to the highway and a bit noisy. The Manager on Duty, Nilesh, was very professional and friendly.
Hotel is newly renovated. Clean and comfortable rooms. Free hot breakfast includes selections like eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, assorted cereals and pastries, coffee, juice, and milk. Dog walk area!
Nice new, clean and comfortable hotel under $100. Typical hotel breakfast, great bed and furnishings are really nice. Bath was upscale and almost like a retreat. Good space and amenities for the money.
My spouse and I had booked a room at this hotel a few hours before arriving through Priceline because of the discount Priceline offered. When we arrived, Priceline's system had not sent our reservation information over to the hotel. We tried contacting Priceline's customer service but they told us we would have to wait for their system to push it through. So we cancelled the reservation with Priceline. The hotel's check-in specialist, Nilesh, then booked us at the discounted price and got us into our room right away. We're very thankful that he was willing to go the extra mile for us all because of Priceline's slow system.
We love Best Western because we have never had any issues or reasons to not return. Hardeeville is a very small town but there are several motels to choose from..most are low end places. This brand new Best Western gives travelers a nice upgraded option at reasonable rates. Highly suggested!! You will agree.
Very clean, right off I 95, very pleasant staff, and near Pilots!! The only challenge was to try to find a restaurant before dark!!! There are very few in the immediate area but you certainly can find something southern to eat within several miles!
The hotels is newly updated. The staff is great. The breakfast was far above the price of the hotel. My kids tried to eat all of the bacon but could not, it kept coming. The beds were by far the most comfortable hotel beds that I have slept in.
Arrived about 7pm on a Saturday night. There was no one at the check in desk and another family waiting as well. After a few minutes, the employee came around the corner. The couple in front of us were upset because their room had dirty sheets and there were little black hairs everywhere. (Guessing from a dog) The clerk didn't apologize and instead asked if they wanted a refund. They told her no, they just wanted a clean room. Strange. Once they were taken care of, we were checked in. Our room was fine. The breakfast in the morning was pretty extensive as well. We'd stay here again. Just slightly odd customer service.
When traveling along I95 it is almost always a compromise to find a safe, convenient, clean and comfortable place to stay, especially if you are traveling with pets. This is the best I have encountered, from Nilesh, who checked me in,to the lovely room, and the well thought out grounds (great, safe place to walk dogs). The next morning somehow Nilesh was still there, as friendly as ever, making sure the excellent breakfast was well stocked and attended to.
On a trip To Savannah Ga and I stopped off the 95 after a 14 hour drive , I was tired and hungry . I saw this property.. and it looked very inviting from the road . I checked in and was met by the night manager Nilesh who was an amazing host .. he met me with a warm smile and offered a suitable room and then assisted me finding a place to eat, he was very knowledgeable on the area. The property was bright ,clean, and rooms were well kept . I was impressed with the professional manner the property was maintained and the managers great service was a nice surprise . Good value ! BJD
This hotel looks brand new. Everything is new and clean! Great looking decor in the rooms and hotel. The hotel was very quiet. The beds were super comfortable. The bathroom had beautiful tile/quartz in them. We will definitely stay here again when we pass through here. The gentleman (Nilesh) behind the counter was very friendly. The staff was also friendly, when they passed by they smiled and said good morning:) other big chains don't always acknowledge you when you walk by. The hotel has a free hot breakfast.
We were looking for a nice place to stay that was economical and clean. We saw this place advertised in one of the Carolina area hotel coupon books and it sounded good. We were not disappointed. This place is extremely clean and well maintained. The full hot breakfast was excellent as well. We would definitely recommend staying at this place.
After a 15 drive it was great to find a relatively new Best Western Plus in Haradeeville SC.The room was not the run of the mill motel off the highway. The beds were comfortable - if a bit high. The bathroom had a huge stall shower. Big TV. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices.
very average hotel billed as a Best Western Plus. "Brand new" meant they remodeled former building. We have stayed in many Best Western plus hotels all over the country and selected this hotel because of that. Have had same or better amenities in many other mid line hotels Nothing special in the area or decent place to eat. Dirty carpets, looked like it lacked attention. Staff was there, said to call if you needed something but not really cordial
We drive to/from Florida/Connecticut each year - and we have a boxer - We discovered Best Western years ago due to their "pet friendly" nature. This was our first time at the Hardyville SC hotel (we visited friends nearby). We were favorably impressed. Great bed, linens and pillow. Nice stall shower. Internet did NOT require any code to log on. We'd stay here again.
This hotel was very clean, but the beds suck! They offer no support. My neck and back hurt more when I woke up then a full day of driving! There is also a strong odor, not sure if it was from a chemical used to clean or an air freshener but it was overwhelming! My wife and daughter woke up with a wheeze after breathing all night.
We stopped here at this apparently brand new motel. Pet friendly for an extra $20; more than we would like, but the rest of the stay made up for it. The reservations clerk (who booked us via phone) was very friendly and helpful. The room was large (we upgraded to a "deluxe king" room) and well appointed. The door locks work by tapping the key card, not by inserting it. Handy when hands are full. The lobby is bright and clean. The breakfast bar offered many hot food items, and all were excellent. The bacon was an unexpected surprise. The AC worked well, with minimal noise, and the bed was great. Everything was superb, from start to finish.
I really enjoyed my time here the staff was great and the hotel is really nice .I definitely recommend this hotel. I stayed here for work and have crazy schedules but the staff was very helpful I'm planning to come back for y next trip.
Hotel was easily located, with comfortable beds and lots of plugs for all of our electronics. We chose this same hotel on our return trip. Both my granddaughter and I enjoyed our stay here and will certainly consider a Best Western Plus hotel in the future.
Very nice place to stay on my way to Fl from NH. Only issue is the lack of good dinner places near the hotel. A very good value if you want a clean, nicely done room . Bkfst is decent, in fact quite good. People are friendly and if you have a pet, a very cost effective place to stay.
Staff at check in very disconnected. Hall and rooms had funny odor. Room door did not close without being pulled shut. One double bed was only inches from wall. Breakfast was cold and very unappetizing.
After being told by the hotel I reserved in Beaufort, SC for MCRD Graduation they could not accommodate my dog (even after I verified a month ago directly with the hotel), I was in the hunt for another pet friendly hotel nearby Parris Island. Even though it is almost 30 miles away from the base, after seeing the many glowing reviews for this property, I reserved a room at the Best Western Plus, Hardeeville, SC. We were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and professional and the room was clean & ready when we checked in at 2pm. The pet walk area is fairly large and well lit during dark hours. The drive to Parris Island was quick and easy (and very scenic, which was great). Due to the hectic events of MCRD graduation, we were only able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast one morning, but it was a good variety of hot and cold items available. The only challenge during our stay was our room door (111) didn't completely shut, we had to pull/push very hard on the door to ensure it was latched closed fully.
Overall good experience. Would definitely stay again. The foyer had a questionable musky smell when entering but the staff was friendly and helpful. The bedding was very comfortable - probably the best feature!
Traveling back to Florida from New York and we wanted to stay not far from Savannah. Place was perfect! The price was great - large clean rooms, beds were comfortable and check in was a breeze. Breakfast was a plus - and coffee was good too! Easy access on US17 from the Hotel that took us directly into Savannah. FYI...we found the room of our choice to be cheaper by $10.00 on their own website vs. any other site including hotels.com / priceline.com / expedia.com / travelocity.com
Spent the night at Best Western plus in Hardeeville, South Carolina as stop over on drive to Disney World. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and nicely furnished. The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway. Complimentary breakfast not overwhelming but was good and enough to get us started and going. Definately a great place to stop for our trip. This hotel will be our stop for future road trips to Disney.
Just walking in the door was a good experience.. gleaming and clean with positive friendly people. The room was immaculate and spacious-- pool area inviting with comfortable lounge chairs. Breakfast (free) was ample with hot and cold choices and again friendly people. Blanca checked us and emphasized that we should let her know if we needed anything. Rishi explained all of our local restaurant choices and helped us pick a really good one. Kyle kept the breakfast bar full and walked me through making a waffle ( my first ). The personnel in this hotel really make you feel welcome. We stayed here on the first part of our trip and returned here when coming back home. We were greeted like old friends. Safe, comfortable, clean, modern, and welcoming.. can't ask for more than that!
Before you book a room on 2nd floor, verify the elevator is working. It went out right after we checked in and unloaded. We overheard an employee say it runs for about an hour and quits. Repair people have been called repeatedly. Steps were wet and plastic covering came off. Very unsafe steps. We got up early, ate good breakfast and left while elevator still worked. Breakfast is a full one with bacon, sausage eggs, biscuit, gravy, waffles, cereal, donuts, bagels, fruit, etc. The hotel appears new and very clean. Staff are polite and helpful. While we highly recommend this hotel, plan on eating before stopping for the night. Options for dinner are very limited and some close early.
Excellent clean property, comfortable and totally excellent reception staff Unfortunately the cleaners station was located close to our room and they were VERY noisy, loudly talking, EARLY in the morning - even after asking them to be quiet, they continued In the morning I approached the cleaner and turns out he's the SUPERVISOR and saw absolutely nothing wrong with making noise at that hour. On the second day they just continued to make more noise at 6am, without giving a care to their patrons The rest of the stay was fine - although bleary eyed from lack of sleep
excellent, very clean, etc. perfect for the traveler.very good breakfast.def would stay again also pet friendly, excellent desk clerk and maintenance people, even tho didn't need them. close to the 95 exit, excellent eating in the area for dinner
During Hurricane Irma we had to evacuate and found this hotel. We couldn't have been treated nicer! Kyle and Reeshi took excellent care of us. They kept things calm at the hotel and bent over backwards for all of their guests. I did not see one unhappy guest in five days. I highly recommend this hotel and they are pet friendly which is the reason we booked here!
The Best Western Plus in Hardeville is a nice property right off I95. We have stayed here 5 times in the last few years and the rooms are nice, beds are comfy, staff is wonderful and breakfast is great.
This is a nice, clean, small hotel. It is perfect for a comfortable stopover. Good basic breakfast with fresh choices. The staff performed well under very busy conditions due to post-hurricane traffic, although there could have been a little more help to manage answering phones, checking in, and answering guest questions all at once.
This hotel is brand new and had all these great reviews. This hotel is NOT CLEAN. There was pet hair all over my room. There was a pee stain on one of the sheets of the beds. There were human hairs all over the bathroom. The check in and check out was terrible. The attendants are rude and unprofessional. They do not answer the hotel phone if you call the hotel. DO NOT GO HERE. You are wasting your money.
This is a relatively new property, and different from the the other Holiday Inn Expresses we've stay in. The furniture seems ill chosen for it's intended purpose. For instance, they have living room furniture (upholstered!) in the breakfast area. Not only uncomfortable to sit in, it gets dirty quickly. The bed, while very comfortable, was right next to the AC unit and in a small alcove that caused the cool air from the AC to blow right on us all night. The room was large, clean and well appointed. Nice bathroom, but the faucet in the sink was connected backward (hot on the right, cold on the left). Check in and out was a breeze and the staff was very friendly. Good rates.
Great place near Savannah to stay. Easy access to highways without traffic and parking fees. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Pool nice and furniture comfy. Breakfast better than average. Definately PLUS hotel.
I was on my way up to PA from Florida to cut my vacation short because of Irma. After driving all day this was the perfect place to stay for the night! Bed was super comfy, clean and Niiesh was very nice and accommodating upon arrival. Full Breakfast was a great amenity especially with going on the road again !
Front desk on arrival and next morning very polite and accommodating. I had the feeling that we were walking on new carpet. If we hadn't been passing through on a long road trip, I would have loved to stay to enjoy the pool area. Decent breakfast included with room price.
Stayed here last night. Felt like a five star hotel. It's brand new & immaculate. The bathroom is a sliding glass door shower not a tub. They use Pantene products. The bed was so comfortable.tv is state of the art. Breakfast was better than most other hotels.there are coupons with discounts at the welcome centers. BW definitely worth the extra bucks & a great nights sleep
This was a great hotel for a great price. We have stayed in many hotels in Hardeeville with unpleasant experiences but Best Western was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was modern and spotless. The breakfast was very good not just muffins and cereal. We loved hanging out by the pool and relaxing with the kids. We will definitely be back again when we come back to the beach. Thanks again for a great experience.
My husband and I visit many Best Western Hotels. They can do a lot better. There are so many things that don't cost money or little money and yet this hotel is not doing them. The price for the hotel is way out of proportion for the quality and service.
My husband and I stayed the night here at the end of August 2017. We just needed a place to sleep for a night before continuing our road trip. We came in late, around 11:30. The hotel is either new or newly renovated. It has a very modern feel that appealed to me. We were given a handicap accessible room, though we didn't need it. But it was nicely spacious because it was an accessible room. The AC was off when we got in, so the room was a little warm and everything felt damp. The room cooled down fairly quickly and the damp feeling was gone by the morning but it was uncomfortable when we laid down to sleep. The mattress was incredibly soft. If you like a soft mattress you will love it. I, on the other hand, tossed and turned for about two hours before I gave up and made a bed of pillows and towels in the bathroom and slept there. I was actually comfortable and able to get a few hours of sleep. Breakfast was yummy and one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had. Besides the soft bed, it was a fine place to stay.
This was the 1st time we ever stayed in a best western and it was very nice. It was clean, it is new but there was a lot of tile in the rooms which should help with the cleanness. The shower was not in a tub but a real shower. The coffee was wonderful, usually we stop and get coffee no need to this time. The breakfast had something for everyone. A great stay.
We don't demand a lot from a hotel, just clean and relatively quiet. This hotel is relatively new, and while it was generally clean, we were dismayed by its strong odors from the moment we arrived. The lobby had a very strong perfumey smell. Our room didn't have the same odor; it was worse. It smelled of strong chemical disinfectant...and my husband detected (and I'm sure he was right) an underlying pet pee smell. The hotel allows pets, which while great for pet owners, should have been a red flag for us. The hotel's location was convenient and price was OK, but I think we'll try a "no pets allowed" hotel next time.
This is our second time staying at this hotel...last year we passed thru and again this year decided to stay again. Very nice hotel...nice employees and clean. Only complaint would be the lobby always seems to be warm inside.
We were working at another hotel in Hardeeville this past week and booked a whole week at the Best Western instead of staying there, on booking.com. First of all, never do that..book through the hotel...they screwed up my bill bigtime and Rishi took like an hour out if his morning the third day there and sorted out my bill...booking.com had billed me for my entire stay 3 days in a row so my $560 week turned into $1200 taken out of my account within 3 days of being there. Rishi straightened it all out in no time and released the rest of the holds on my account. Carl made sure we had everything we needed every morning we left for the day and came back to a clean room and fresh bed after working in total filth all day. Very nice hotel, excellent staff, good parking, zero complaints. Thank you guys so much for making our stay for work so comfy to sleep every night! We travel hotel to hotel every day and this is A VERY nice location and the ONLY choice that is comforting and CLEAN in hardeeville.
I stayed here unexpectedly on a return drive from NJ to Florida on solar eclipse day. Traffic was horrendous and all area hotels that were not booked were filling rapidly as travelers decided to get out of the traffic jams on I95. Despite the "first come, first served" policy in effect because of the eclipse, the gentleman at the front desk was very understanding and helpful. He agreed to hold a room as we fought through traffic. Even though traffic delayed our original ETA, he was true to his word and held a room, without a credit card, when he didn't have to do so. The hotel itself was one of the cleanest and most comfortable places I have ever stayed and I was a platinum club member with Starwood Resorts. The free breakfast was also delicious, with many choices to suit all tastes. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. In fact, I will be staying here again during next years trip back from NJ.
I arrived late in the evening and was promptly given access to my room The room was nicely furnished, up to date and very clean. The morning breakfast was great. Sausage, bacon and eggs as well as cereals and juices with fresh fruit. The gentleman, Nilesh, at the front desk when I arrived was still there in the morning. He was most courteous and polite regardless of the hour. I would highly recommend a stay here.
The manager and all staff at the Best Western in Hardeeville, SC were very helpful and courteous during our stay. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and stay again at this location ourselves.
This hotel was really nice - seemed brand new. Very clean and update to date! Breakfast was also very good - including hot items like eggs, bacon, waffles, biscuits, etc. Close to Savannah and the National Wildlife Refuge!
A surprising find a really exceptional Hotel. All new rooms and a great bed. 30 hotels at the exit on I95 if your in the area and need a great place to stay this is it. The BW brand is really getting a big lift from the new properties and locations I had a great stay in a BW in Truro Nova Scotia
Beautiful rooms, recently opened hotel Pool area clean and Inviting. Breakfast above board with fresh fruit, cereal, bisuit and gravy, waffle station and fresh coffee. Nice set up and aging. Very clean. Nice experience.
Best Western Plus at Hardeeville near Savannah is the best BW that we stayed this past week on our way back from NY to Florida. We were very happy with the location right off of I-95 and how close it is to Savannah. We like the Architectural appearance of the hotel at night and the contemporary design as well. Overall, contemporary design of the interior is very nice. The use of material and the new looks of the Lobby, the room the Breakfast area is really nice. It is a touch, that even the stairway area floor tile is nice and matches the overall interior, not like most hotel stairways of bare concrete. The rooms are nicely decorated with contemporary furniture and fixtures. Even with pet friendly rooms. We don't travel with pet, but its nice for those who do. i really recommend this hotel to travelers for 2 reasons. One for those that are traveling through, like us, its nice to relax in a beautiful enviroment. And for those to visit Savannah or Hilton Heads beaches, its a nice location and amenities for the price. Plus its in a nice quiet location off the HWY. The exterior use of material is beautiful as well with the stone veneer. highly recommended.
Clean, bright, brand new and reasonable rates. Super comfortable beds. Clean, bright showers with good water pressure. Even a complimentary toothbrush, as I forgot mine! DefinItely a stop on our travels from Fort Myers to Charlotte. Close to Rt.95.
I am a Diamond Select member. When checking in the room first given to me there was mold on curtains and smelled of it. Near the curtains exposed wiring, a fire hazard. When brought to tge attention to front desk was given another room downstairs still only a king bed. My reservations was for 2 queen. On the third attempt a room was given on the second floor. Where immediately the floor smelled 100 percent better and so to the room. What to take away from this review, if you are a member make sure you are treated accordingly. If not don't worry because at this location it doesn't matter, they will treat you the same.
Although newly renovated, and fairly clean rooms, the carpet in our room must have been recently cleaned, but they did not let it dry. So when we walked into our room, the smell was really overpowering. I asked the hotel attendant what the smell was - like if they had sprayed for bugs or something. He came into the room and said it must have been from them shampooing the carpet. The problem - they didn't let it dry. There was so much moisture in the room that condensation was on metal light fixtures, and also the lamp shade between our bed had mold growing on it. The air conditioner could not keep up with keeping the room comfortable or removing the humidity. I mentioned it to the attendant as we checked out the next morning, and she took some notes, so I'm hoping the problem is fixed for the next person. I was disappointed they didn't try to offer us a different room. Will not be staying here again. The smell was really really aweful.
I don't believe the room had been cleaned. There was long hairs by the tub, the bathroom floor looked like it had not been mopped. Something was spilled on the wall behind the end table. One sheet was put on the bed inside out, pillows smelled of sweat, food particles were in one corner of the room. The air conditioner was quite noisy and didn't take the humidity out of the air. even with it's noise it still did not drown out the sound of traffic. Never been so disappointed in a BW facility in my life!
We stayed for one night on our way back from Florida. The decor was nice and it got good reviews but it needed to be cleaned better. There were hairs all over the beds in the first room they gave us. The second had hair too but less than the 1st and at that point I knew they would all be that way. It was gross. It could be such a nice place if cleaned right. The breakfast was decent in the morning.
Room was full of mold. Requested a room change, but the only other room was just as bad. Even made our dog sick. Management didn't seem surprised or concerned. Checked out after one night. Still waiting for a refund.
The hotel has nice upgrades. The biggest disappointment was the housekeeping. Our sheets had hair and spots. We changed rooms and the room sheet still had spots but we were so tired we didn't even feel like dealing with it. The gentleman at the front desk seemed preoccupied with his phone and could careless about the sheets. Before changing rooms we were told we could change the sheets ourselves because housekeeping was gone for the day. The second day the other occupant in the room had waste coffee on her sheets. Housekeeping came and made the bed but didn't change the sheets. The towels didn't look white, they appeared dingy. The issues definitely need to be addressed.
New Hotel. Food, Room. and employees very nice. The only thing a little bad is it is located next to the interstate. One of the tables in the dining room needs repairs, because the top was very wobble. Need another waffle maker, because the line was very long.
The hotel appears to be recently renovated. The bed was comfortable. There were plenty of towels. Both the room and bathroom were clean. However, there was a musty smell when you walked in the room. Since we were a last minute check-in, I don't think the air conditioning was on very long before we arrive which probably contributed to the humidity. The breakfast was the traditional continental layout at the hotel chains. Good for a place to lay your head down for the night and continue your journey.
This place is very clean! Nice big pool. The free breakfast has plenty of selections that are really good. Reasonable price. Make sure to ask for the AAA discount. The king size bed is nice and comfortable. The king suite is a good value.
We were looking to get north of Georgia on a trip home and found this BW Plus. Aside from breakfast needing to have hotter eggs and not run out of decaf coffee, very friendly staff and great location! Rooms are clean and decor is modern and comfortable.
Our family stayed overnight at this property on our way to Florida for vacation. Hotel was clean and comfortable and a great location (30 minutes to shopping and restaurants at Hilton Head, SC or Savannah, GA.
Hotel stay 7/7/2017-We needed a stopover place and chose this hotel based on their online reviews for cleanliness. Apparently, the good cleaning staff no longer works at the hotel. There was toothpaste splatter all over the bathroom mirror, indicating it had not been cleaned in some time. Sink faucet and handles were also covered with toothpaste splatter and had greasy hand prints. A dirty washcloth was folded and hung up on the towel bar. I guess that is easier than running them through the washer each time. I opted not to shower based on the condition of the rest of the bathroom. In the room itself, there were greasy finger and hand prints on everything including the pictures on the walls, the chair seat, and all over the headboards and the nightstand. Not to worry though, as they stick the remote in a little bag that is supposed to indicate it has been cleaned. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, but based on the lack of cleanliness elsewhere, I did not use the cover. Breakfast the following morning was a nightmare as they do not have any cleaning staff to keep up the room in between guests. Tables were dirty, floor was covered with food and there was slop all over the counters. The food was below par even for Best Western standards. I spoke with the desk person during check out and told them about the lack of cleanliness in the room, etc. I also explained that we had chosen the hotel based on their reviews. They took my name and phone number and I was assured the manager would call me. I have never received a call which indicates to me that the management at this hotel does not care about the conditions in their hotel, nor customer satisfaction. I did take photos, but for some reason they are not uploading here.
Stayed here one night after a few days in historic Savannah. Upon check in, the front desk person told me I could get a better rate than what I was quoted by the corporate office when I made my reservation. I had to call the corporate office, but the rate was adjusted without issue. The room was clean and the finishes were lovely and nicely executed. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable; lots of conveniently located lights and charging outlets. The swimming pool was pristine and well cared for. Whoever handles the chemicals does an excellent job - no strong chlorine smell! Breakfast was pretty standard. Overall, I rated them 5 stars for the comfort and functionality of the room and the exceptional service. Kyle, the maintenance man, must be recognized for his helpfulness and positive attitude. He hustled up an extra luggage rack, and helped me with luggage and the ice machine. Very kind and friendly.
Very clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Hotel was very clean . The staff was friendly and helpful staff. The room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel and i would stay here again!
Check in desk was having trouble with someone's reservation when I arrived, and then had trouble finding mine. Breakfast was below standard I usually find at BW. Very little to choose from for a meal in area. Property abutts a run down Travel Lodge.
Sticky floor in entry and into bathroom. Dirty washcloth neatly folded on rack. Stained bedspread at foot of bed. Called to front desk to request room change. On site staff had to come and inspect my complaint and left indicating he would be right back with our room change and new keys. Instead he came back with a mop and a new washcloth...his 'boss' had instructed him to clean it and not to change our room because they only had a king suite (I had a room with 2 doubles and this is BW so we're not talking big upgrade here) and that would cost ME more money. Hmm, perhaps the 'Boss' needs a lesson in customer service in addition to added supervision of housekeeping. Since we're tired and already paid, we stay, tossing the spreads to the floor and vowing no more BW for us.
Attractive, newer property with contemporary styling. Room furniture was dusty and shower door had lots of water spots otherwise it's what I expected based on other reviews and worth the price. Good for a 1 night stop over
My wife and I found an oasis after a very long day on the road... It began at the front desk with excellent suggestions from Nilesh Patel the on duty manager. What a pleasant helpful young man...leading us to a Newly Updated King suite... The room was clean, safe and the bed was awesome... Great night's rest... I suggest this hotel to all seeking a good night's sleep.
Outstanding services was provided to me and my family!! in the month of June. The service was outstanding..we felt comfortable the entire time we were there, customer service was outstanding at the front desk provided by Blonea, and the food was Great" that was provided by the cook attendant Mr. Kyle , this gentleman went up and beyond the call of duty to make sure that my family was well taken care of in the breakfast area every morning' that we were there 'this is what I call first class service..when you have service like this. you want to refer this to others so that they can have the same services that was provided to me and my family.. i've stayed at five star hotels and didn't receive the same type of services that I had here at the Best Western plus hotel in Hardeeville South Carolina..and thanks to the general manager for answering my concerns about my reservation..Mr.katlal Thanks for a great service Larry D Green.
After reading many good reviews we decided to give the Best Western a try. Never again! Common areas were filthy. Carpets appeared not to be vacuumed in days of not weeks. Elevator was so dirty we didn't want to push the buttons. Lobby furniture had stains all over them. Room appeared to be pretty clean but seeing how management allowed the other areas to look were knew that cleanliness was not a priority of management.
Upon check in on the 26th of June 2017 I was greeted by the most friendly staff. They were well aware of my needs and wants for my room so when I arrived early everything was ready! I did not need to wait for anything. The staff was so professional and the rooms wers immaculate. Breakfast the next morning was top notch! I would most definitely recommend this hotel. My personal opinion its up there with the Marriot.
The room was pleasant, clean and comfortable. A nice size TV screen made it easy to watch. The hot breakfast helped get us on a good start for the rest of a long drive south. A good value and much needed restful break!
My son Shane took me to Savannah for my 70th birthday. We stayed at this Best Western. The staff is attentive, caring and very polite. The breakfast each morning consisted of a complete, varied assortment of breakfast food and Great Coffee ! The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the motel manged well by Ketal Patel. I highly recommend the Best Western Hardeeville, SC
This new style of BW puts it into the Marriott level for a lot less $$. Rooms are modern and very comfy. I would highly recommend this new style of BW for price and quality. Give it a try your next trip.
The hotel was the cleaness I have ever been in. The beds were so comfortable I didn't wake up with a back ache like I do from most hotel beds. Very nice about my dogs staying and the rooms were huge. I recommend this place to everyone who wants to feel at home while in a hotel.
New, clean, quiet and comfortable. What more can you want. We were surprised by the comfort of the king six bed. Plenty of hot water. Breakfast was about what we expected. It was better than some. We will stay here again.
This is Best Westerns New Gem. They have really gone all out on servicing the customer. The lobby is so fresh with the color scheme and LED Lighting, it is har to believe that such a nice place exits. Just noticed it as we approached and glad that we tried it. This level of Best Western will be included in my future trips
My friend and I stopped here for one night when wewere returning home from Florida. Hardeeville used to be a big hotel city, and I remembered stopping here many years ago while taking the kids to Disney World. The town seems to have fallen on hard times. While this hotel is nice, and the breakfast is quite good, pay attention to the other reviewers who tell you to eat before you get off at this exit. Do not leave the hotel immediate area near the interstate. We did not feel comfortable at the restaurant recommended by the hotel staff, and I would not send a guest of mine to such a seedy-looking area. I was wondering if our car was going to be sitting on blocks when we left the restaurant.
Two times I reported that the outside light was going into the room and we couldn't sleep. Room 220 ish - near the pool. The light goes directly into the room at night and we couldn't sleep as the blinds do not cover the window. Told management and they said and did nothing. When we left the manager didn't even apologize. If you want to sleep, go elsewhere.
Last night my husband and I and our cat stayed in this hotel in our semi annual travels from FL to ME, and vice versa. We try to stay in one of two pet friendly motel chains that do not charge for pets, but the one to be found in Hardeeville was sub standard. Hence, we tried something new, "Best Western Plus of Hardeeville", where we did pay $20 extra for our cat. The entire hotel is renovated and quite beautiful, including the rooms. Our room, #108, was large and newly remodeled, had very comfortable pillows and queen beds ($10 more than a room with two double beds), a very nice bathroom and shower, desk, mini frig and microwave, plenty of new lamps, etc. Also, the breakfast room was updated and very nice -- bright and comfortable -- and served a delicious hot breakfast with many options. There was scrambled eggs, fried bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits, waffle maker, and many cold selections. The reason for giving this motel only a "4" rating is that the AC unit did not work properly in the room. The unit did cool the room but, for whatever reason, did not remove humidity from the air, and everything in the room was dripping with dampness -- including our luggage by the time we left. The sheets were clammy with this dampness until we turned off the air conditioner in the night and ran the bathroom fan, which seemed to help some. (Fortunately, it was not a hot night.) Of course, the bathroom towels wouldn't dry. It did happen to be a time of high outdoor humidity the day we arrived, and the day we left it was raining. Although the AC unit was obviously pulling in the damp outside air, there was no switch on the unit to turn this off and allow only dry cooling from the unit. My husband did mention this problem to both the desk clerk and the manager in the morning, but they didn't seem to understand how this problem will eventually take a toll on the furniture and room over time. Already there is a slight smell of mustiness in the air (my husband said, "MORE than slight"). The manager did say he would look into our concern and, hopefully, that will solve the problem. The AC unit looked quite new, although the dust filters were dirty. Hopefully other rooms have better working AC units. If you require a 5 star hotel, you may want to overnight in Savannah.
Brand new rooms. Great bathroom. Clean and very friendly staff. Hats off to Rishi and Kevin for great customer service. Breakfast served at 6, full station not just doughnuts. Halls were clean. Ice machine, workout room, pool. All was great !
I visit the hotel several times in the last 6 months the stay was good, rooms clean the only issue I found toilets flushed sluggish and location of the hotel beside the highway is pretty noisy. It's the cleanest in the area
This is a great hotel for any cost. Even better value compared to our cost. Everything was clean, new and updated. The staff was some of the friendliest we have ever encountered. Kevin was particularly helpful. Great breakfast too!
This hotel is family owned and operated and the staff could not have been more inviting. Morning breakfast was excellent with an excellent selection which was constantly overseen and up-dated by the staff. Room was clean and well outfitted and the hotel was quite.
Traveling through at night and decided to stop. The facility was new and the staff was very friendly. The room was spacious, clean and we'll maintained. We will definitely stop here again. Wonderful stay....
You can tell its been updated, very nice décor and clean. Rooms are very nice. The only problem I did have was the air conditioner was not very strong, I was hot all night, and I noticed the bed skirt had stains. All minor things , the breakfast was really good. Always love when they have a waffle maker lol. They even stayed opened longer for the families that woke up late!
Our room at Best Western Plus Hardeeville SC was squeaky clean. The desk staff very courteous. The breakfast room had many items. Very close to interstate 95. Gas station and grocery store next door was very convient too.
Driving from Florida to NC and booked a room for 4 with 2 queen beds through hotels.com. Received confirmation but when we got there they had sold our room. The man at the counter was not helpful. The woman at hotels.com said there were still rooms but the hotel guy wouldn't pick up the phone and when he saw us scrambling to find a room at 11 p.m he slapped a note on the door that said "no vaccancy". Didn't even spell it right! He took it down as soon as he thought we pulled out. A little friendly advice ... Go down the road to Holiday inn Express.. much nicer!
We stayed here the night before our scheduled ferry to nearby Daufuskie Island. Kevin offered the best and most personable check-in services at the front desk that we've ever seen. The (I assume) recently renovated interior and exterior of the hotel are very nicely designed, in a contemporary style. Our room was great and had a good vibe, with nice colors and artwork. The complementary breakfast was very good, with lots of variety and always-full serving containers. Overall, a very good experience. Thank you Kevin - you accomplished what you said you would do - make us want to come back.
Yes Stabley Schmidt was well located immediately off the interstate Highway 95 The employees were well mannered and well dressed well spoken the rooms were very well decorated clean comfortable and with plenty of room for activities
Very nice redone hotel. One disadvantage is that there are no close by restaurants for late arrivals. They gave us a listing at the desk but found many were not open late as indicated. We ended up grabbing something from the Subway located in a nearby gas station.
Kevin was very helpful and breakfast was the best. Clean and convenient to I-95. Had a great Mexican dinner at a place recommended by the night staff. We travel with our 15 year old Fox Terrier and we all loved the ample yard for pets which also supplied plastic bags to clean up after them. We will be back, thanks Kevin and staff. Denise, Terry and Maggie (the dog)
It's not often that I can say that everything was perfect. Everything was perfect! From the over-accommodating staff to the beautiful lobby and breakfast room to the well-appointed room, everything really was perfect.
I had a house hunting trip to the area and although the hotel could have been more convenient, it worked out extremely well for the price. Just wish they had a few good restaurants in the area. Will be using them again as we move down to the Hilton Head area in the near future.
I am so excited to tell the world about this hotel! I chose this establishment based on the billboard on 95 that said "Brand New" and "Pet Friendly". Important Note: The pet fee is per pet. BUT you get what you pay for. This hotel had the safest, largest, dog walking area I have ever seen. It is almost completely enclosed, level, pleasant looking and well maintained. Did I mention away from the busy highway and parking lot? Safely tucked behind the hotel near the pool. We stayed in Room 201 which had a stairway to the ground floor exit right outside our door. Down on flight of stairs, out the door and to the right and we were in the pet area in no time. Very covenient. The hotel has had a total remodel. It is pretty, has a light-filled lobby. The breakfast room is just as nice as the rest of the hotel. Clean, clean, clean! The latest in serving equipment, they weren't afraid to spend a little money to give an exceptional presentation. Most important of all...the bed was super comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean! The shower tile was very spa-like with sleek glass doors.
The Hotel was right off I-95 exit, easy to find. It was less than a year old. Very well appointed with upscale rooms. Bathroom well appointed and large. Management and staff were very friendly and helpful.Quiet and restful. Could stay until ll:00 if you chose to. Arrived early and got into the room immediately. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was very good and a great menu. Checkout out easy and fast.
I was very lucky because all of the rooms in the hotel were taken but one. I only needed a bed for the night and I was able to get a breakfast too. The breakfast was perfect and the place was very clean and updated.
Very impressed with Kevin the Innkeeper. He made us feel safe comfortable and welcome. We were tired from a long day of travel. Needless to say based on our personal experience we recommend this Lodging. It is so refreshing to be treated with such hospitality. Thank you Kevin for being such A caring host! Otis and Jo Florence Cordell
I loved this place! The rooms are newly remodeled. The bed was so comfortable! Extremely clean. I don't know if there were other guests in the rooms around me as I didn't hear a thing. The air conditioner was quiet and efficient. They even had a sleeve for the T.V. remote to avoid those nasty remote germs! Water pressure was strong and the temp was hot. Plenty of parking. The free breakfast was your usual waffles, muffins, bagels, yogurt, fruit etc. We didn't use the pool or fitness facilities so I can't comment on those. I would highly recommend this hotel!
I have pet and other allergies. When placing the reservation, I requested and was assured that I would be put in a pet free room which a pet has not occupied. I called the day before I arrived to make sure that my request was indicated and that request was clearly shown. I arrived and on checking in I was told that the hotel had NO rooms that a pet has occupied. Sam looked on the computer and saw my request on the reservation. He said there was nothing he could do. He called Ben and I was told that they could give me my money back. Sam offered to show me different rooms but there was no guarantee that pets have not occuppied. I asked if they could call other hotels in the area to see if any other hotel had pet free rooms. With no other option, I saw and stayed in room 124. Needless to say, my allergies have been a problem and I have been at the doctors twice since I have been home. I hold BW responsible for my current health issues and would appreciate your response to the way my requests were handled and the misinformation that I received. Antoinette Jackson 703-8151904
This hotel is right off the highway so easy to get to. The temperature unit in the room was loud, cancelling out any sound from the highway. Beds were wonderful to sleep on. The shower doors were water spotted and looked dirty. When I pulled back the bed sheets, they weren't clean and there was a spill down the front of the dresser. The hallway carpeting needed vacuuming. We were given another room that appeared to be cleaner but I found a hair tie on the floor that wasn't mine. I don't think this hotel deserves the rating it's gotten, and it needs someone to follow up on its housekeeping staff.
A great place to spend a night in a brand new clean and comfortable hotel. Night manager makes you feel welcomed and provides a large assortment of last minute odds and ends you may have left home. Coffee 24/7. Free internet.
Stopped here overnight on our return trip from the Florida Keys. This is a recently renovated hotel. Our room was clean upon arrival, room was quite spacious and beds were comfortable. That's all the good things I can say about this hotel. There was a street lamp right outside our window, so light came streaming in when we went to go to sleep. Not a problem, if the black out curtains would have closed all the way. The black out curtains are designed so they will only close to a certain point, leaving a good 2 foot space where you just have a sheer curtain. The air conditioner was so loud that we had to turn it off to go to sleep. Our room was on the end of the hotel closest to I-95, so we heard 18 wheelers roaring past all night. The walls were paper thin. Will NOT be returning to this hotel, which is unfortunate because staff seem genuinely nice.
We stayed in a room with 2 Queen beds on the second floor. Really clean room, nice bath. Breakfast was very good.. had a big variety to choose from. It also has a nice pool. Located right off the Interstate.
Our experience with BW was outstanding. The staff were all very nice, the room was spacious and clean, and the price was quite reasonable. I would stay there again any time I was in the area and would highly recommend it to anyone.
So our family was traveling I-95 headed for fun and sun in Orlando when our vehicle broke down on Exit 5. What was directly across from the exit? That's right!! The baby was getting hot so I called hoping for a room but got so much more. Blanca answered the phone and sweetly listened to our story and before we knew it Kyle pulled up behind us to DRIVE us to the hotel. Talk about pickup service!! We were so grateful and felt so blessed to find this gem of a property with wonderful staff and such comfy beds. The baby even had her own crib! Breakfast the next day was a.perfect way to start out our continued trip....in a rental!
Conveniently located near the i-95 Pet friendly with nice grass area. Good breakfast hot & cold. Rooms clean, comfortable quality beds, glass shower Courteous staff We didnt have time to use the outdoor pool. It looked nice with modern patio furniture. Microwave with a small fridge Wifi works great
Dirty towels and water on the shower door indicated someone had recently been in our room and it had not been cleaned. Pubic hair and dirt on the sheets was the last straw! The owner seemed upset we did not alert him as soon as we arrived- we arrived around 5 pm and had immediately gone out for dinner.
Hotel redone with new decor Great feeling all around. Staff very nice and offered list of restaurant upon check in and anything else that we might need just tell them and they would get us the information would definitely stay at that hotel again
Checked into the hotel around 9pm, was promptly greeted. The room was nicely updated, and very comfortable. My daughter got sick in the bathroom at 2am and Sam from the front desk came and helped clean it all up, and made sure we were comfortable to sleep. He also offered a drink to help replenish my daughters fluids. It was above and beyond. We will stay here again.
We haven't driven the I 95 corridor for some time and this was a convenient stop. The check in was amazing and the room was large, clean and more than we expected. The breakfast in the am offered fresh bread, rolls and bagels along with hot choices. Definitely would come back again.
We stayed here enroute to FLA on Jan 2. It was by far the best pet friendly hotel we have stayed at during our annual snowbird trips. (We have stayed at some doozies!) We felt this hotel with its friendly helpful staff, truly appreciated that pets are an important member of the family and also deserve a clean room. See you again in May!
Full length mirror dirty, shower nice walk in, glass really dirty, bathroom mirror needs windex..nice clean towels thank goodness. It was late we stayed but we will not be back. The staff was nice, however we see this place going down hill fast. The toilet paper was hanging down and a whole in the wall so maintenance needed
Check in and out were done promptly with courtesy. The room was quiet, comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff were friendly and eager to help. WiFi connection was quick and easy.
Hotel is right off the highway but a little hard to find because it's located next to another hotel. Front desk staff was very helpful. Even though the hotel is just off the highway the rooms are very quite so you don't hear road noise. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom/shower. Definitely recommend!
We stayed here four days while visiting the Savannah area. The hotel is not new, it took over another hotel, so the Best Western name is new to it. The first room we were given had mold on the walls. They were very nice and gave us another room on the other side of the hotel. They told us it was an upgrade but if I remember correctly the king room was cheaper online, so it was a downgrade from our original room, but we were not given a discount for the room. If you stay try to get a room away from the interstate. The breakfast was good, the bed was very comfortable. All the staff were very pleasant. We would probably stay there again if in the area.
My husband and I arrived this evening with a coupon that this hotel placed in the booklet entitled "Free Hotel Coupons.com". It was for $79.99 EVERY DAY. But when the girl at the desk rang it up it printed out at $109.99 plus $13.20 more in tax. I said it was wrong and her only response was that it could probably be taken care of in the morning. I'm sorry but I will not handle business that way. She was totally uncooperative even when another potential customer also tried to explain the error. She tried to call a manager a couple times but he did not answer. We along with 2 other potential customers also walked out. Check what you sign very carefully at this hotel. I am so glad I did. We stayed elsewhere and when I tried to send an email to the manager (I had picked up his card as we left) it came back unable to deliver. I'm not surprised.
This is our second stay at this property. Newer hotel, very very nice. Rooms are large and bathroom are gorgeous. Bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was great, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit, etc. We were not disappointed in anything.
We were here for two nights. This is a new hotel and conveniently located near the interstate. Rooms were clean and fresh. Front office staff were helpful. Breakfast was your typical continental style breakfast. We would stay here again if in the area
Great experience, we will go there again, no doubt ! The room layout was identical to the two Hampton Inn & Suites we previously stayed at on exit #94 & exit # 104 in Savannah. The girl behind the counter was very proffessional, pleasent & helpful in getting us settled in. The room was spotless & as comfortable as any other more expensive hotel room I've ever stayed in. We we're very pleased to say the least !
This a brand new hotel. If you want to go to Savannah and don't want the expense of staying downtown this is an excellent option. You literally take a left hand turn out of the driveway of the hotel and it is a straight shot (20 minutes) to the waterfront in Savannah. Only drawback is there are no restaurants (expect fast food) in the area. We had to drive 15 miles to Pooler for a restaurant.
My husband and I were traveling from Gatlinburg back to Florida and needed an overnight stay to break up the long drive. This Best Western was, indeed, a plus! The staff was welcoming and quite helpful. The hotel was recently renovated, as we found out, more than renovated----They tore down the old structure and rebuilt! The room was fresh and new, the breakfast was the usual fare, but good. It is conveniently located for either an overnight or spending some time in Savannah. We drove down a few minutes on 95 to have dinner, then we walked around an outlet mall--all, again, conveniently located. We highly recommend this hotel not only for its convenient location and cleanliness, but also for the helpful friendly staff.
4 of us traveling to Florida. One of us has mobility issues, they were very accommodating. Room was very nice, with a good size bathroom. We didn't spend much time in the room, but it felt like there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was a surprise. Eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, and a nice selection of other items. Was it gourmet? No, but it was very sufficient in fulfilling our breakfast needs. A hot breakfast was much appreciated by our crew.
I would recommend this Best Western to anyone. The place is spotless clean and very comfortable. Several computers in the lobby for use with copy machine to print out boarding pass or whatever. Great hot breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage patties, waffles, fruit, yogurt & breads. Entrance off highway is narrow so I used the next service station down that has access. I saved about $ 10.00 for the night by booking online. Yes, there are less expensive hotels in the area but this Best Western is worth the price for a worry free stay and I always go for value!
Brand new modern hotel that looks beautiful but the walls are paper thin. Could hear the rooms on either side of us and above us. There;s lots of traffic noise as well, Nice décor. Large desk in room but no plug in or light on or around it. Gorgeous bathroom with a dinky little sink with very generous counter top. Nice big shower.
New/renovated, bright, nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. Entrance from Hwy 95 is awkward and dangerous. Staff is friendly. Everything I come to expect in Best Western! Lots of free parking. Close to several restaurants
I stayed in a king bed suite that included a sofabed. A week earlier, I had stayed at another Best Western in Pooler, GA. I liked this one better. It looked as though it had been recently renovated with a clean modern look. The bathroom was very nice. There was a comfortable couch with a large screen tv. The king bed slept nicely. All of the lamps had an outlet built into the base and a USB port which was convenient. There was also a good hot breakfast with bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, etc. I had a good stay. The staff was great. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was I thought the price was a little high for the area.
Very clean, well lit at night, staff is helpful and super friendly, free hot breakfast was good. It is close to the interstate which was also a great perk. If ever back in the area we would stay here again for sure.
My first time at the Best Western Hardeeville Inn & Suites. One stop over with my 70 pound Dog Milo. I am always very concerned about the cleanliness and curb appeal of places which allow dogs. Since I keep my dog very clean and off all the furniture and beds. I appreciate a clean place traveling with my dog. This place was a very pleasant surprise! Very clean and nice. Rooms are big and beds are comfortable. Staff is helpful and friendly. I paid $20 extra for my dog which I gladly did. The room was a little more then the usual Best Western, but for me it was worth the money. I definitely will use this place again. This is not a smelli dog motel, it is very clean without any odor and nicely furnished. I hope it will stay like that. Definitely would recommend it to friends.
We were pleasantly surprised by our brief stay at this hotel. The room was clean, well-appointed, and quiet. Breakfast was standard fare for hotel hot buffets, but good. My only caution is not for the hotel itself, but for TripAdvisor's information. We were traveling for a Marine Corp graduation in Parris Island. Trip Advisor listed this hotel as much closer to the island than it was, so check your maps before booking.
My first time trying out a Best Western has be a great experience. The hotel is very warm feeling and clean. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. No complaints about the room at all. Just coming from a two day stay in Savannah at nearly double the cost, we have double the room space, more amenities and very convenient food and store locations for the quick run out to grab something. Plus we are only 30 minutes away from many southern jewels whether it's Savannah, Hilton Head, Beaufort and all the nature scenes in between. I'm very surprised and pleased with this booking and I will definitely be returning.
Walk in to check in and front desk girl was awesome, friendly Hotel lobby and breackfast area clean. Rooms smell great and in #10 condition. Bathroom was clean and very spacey. Will give it 5 star.and will make it my hotel stop when i come back to visit.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is brand new, clean and the rooms are bright, airy and comfortable. They offer a complementary breakfast. We would stay there again and recommend it to others.
We came in very late was greeted warmly and helped very quickly. Our king suite was gorgeous and so comfortable..wish we'd stayed 2 nights. Plenty of fluffy pillows and the bed was very comfortable. We'll stay again in the future.
Stayed 1 night on our way down to Orlando. It has just recently undergone renovations and you can tell the owners really care about their property. The rooms were a great size, very comfortable beds. The pool area was very nice as well. There is a free breakfast included and the eating area had nice decor and was really inviting. Breakfast was very good with lots to choose from, That 1 night stay was one of our highlights of our trip to Orlando!
Midway point to get home to Florida Very friendly only 2 rooms were available Beds are comfy and free breakfast until 9 This is a new place so I recommend calling ahead to make sure a room is available This is a smoke free place so be prepared to go downstairs and outside
I booked this through Hotel.com - and I took a chance because I have never stayed in Best Western but when I saw the price and the 5 star rating at first I thought it was a mistake. But I have to say that I was overwhelmed with the site. Directly off the highway, clean and friendly, accompanied with comfortable beds. I am on my way to Orlando, but for families visiting Savanah, I highly recommend this outstanding hotel spot.
On our trip back to South Florida we wanted to stop to rest in the South Carolina Georgia border area. I was looking for a well reviewed hotel near I95. I was surprised to see normally mid priced hotels costing 200.00 and up. Finally I settled for the Ramada Inn Plus in Hardeeville SC for about 150.00 all in. I am very happy we did. The hotel is very new, just opened in May 2016. The room was a king suite, with a very comfortable bed, softer sheets then the Hampton Inn we stayed at in VA, and it had a sofa sleeper was was in the room but separated by a half wall. The microwave and Fridge were placed inside a cabinet, with a door, so no noise coming out in the middle of the night. When we checked in we asked for an additional blanket and the manager brought it to the room himself. A gentleman working the evening shift cleaning out room, there apparently was a large group from the night before, asked us several times if we needed anything. The bathroom shower was large, as was the whole bathroom. The room was modern and very clean. The breakfast was the normal fare, make your own waffles, cereal, muffins, eggs, oatmeal, etc. There isn't much around the hotel but down the road, I95, about 14 miles, or 12 minutes, there is the Tanger Outlet Mall and many many restaurants, so we certainly did not starve for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel and would stay again.
My husband and I were attending a wedding in Hilton Head. The only rooms available on the island were well out of our budget or closed due to hurricane damage. We gave the Best Western a try and we were not disappointed. This hotel, located just off the interstate, was about 30 minutes from Hilton Head. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice, and the breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast (cereals, bagels, biscuits, OJ, apple juice, etc.). We had hoped for more dinner options at the exit, but an exit or two either way, was just as convenient. If you're in need of a night or two, go for it.
We spent 2 nights here on the way back home post Matthew. Ashley was on duty at the desk and was very helpful and friendly. I also noticed her doing other duties to help out the staff in any way she could. Also, Kyle who works with the laundry staff (don't know his official title) was more than helpful. The washer intended for use by the patrons was broken so he did some desperately needed laundry for us. The hotel itself is newly renovated and very clean and welcoming. Thanks so much to Kyle and Ashley and all the wonderful staff.
Michelle the manager on duty was so very helpful to me. I had to come down to SC to help my elderly mother, right after Hurricane Matthew. She helped us when I was running a little late in checking out and trying to get my mother checked out of the hotel to get her back home. She allowed us to extend our checkout time. We also ran into some problems when we were checking in very late the night before. There was a mix up with the rooms and we had to wait 45 minutes before we could check in. She gave us a discount because of the inconvenience. She was so accommodating. The rooms were also new and clean. The beds were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel. I want to thank Michelle for all of her help
This motel seems very recently renovated and it was done well. Enjoyed the large glassed walk in shower, huge vanity, clean room. The decor was contemporary, the room spacious and clean, and the check in quick and friendly. Water and carafes of coffee in the lobby was a nice touch.
had difficulty returning to Florida with I 95 closed -- took an alternate route which added time so we stayed in a spot unusual to us -- we were happy to find the Best western near Hilton head as it was a new hotel and accepted dogs. It is a lovely hotel but for us the ultra modern furniture is not the best -- AND the hotel is surrounded by a very old rundown hotel with rooms and people which made me uncomfortable
We were very pleased with our one night stay. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean. We were there just a few days after Hurricane Matthew went through and we thought everything was great. Wonderful breakfast. Love the fact that they are Pet friendly too!
Location is great. Outside looked as described. String musty, moldy smell when walking in. New smell evident on way to elevator and halls. Got to room, horrible, disgusting, perfume room spray. Entry floor sticky. First appearance was very nicely designed room. Put suitcase on bed, went to use the bathroom and immediately told other person to not unpack! Toilet filthy! Feces stuck in toilet bowl. Urine, pubic hair and filth on rim. Urine spots on floor. Went downstairs, reported what I found. Very pleasant desk clerk immediately apologized and gave me another room. That was the same or worse, blood spots around toilet, filthy shower. Checked the beds. Pubic hair, some kind of dirt or crumb looking debris in bed with sheets NOT changed. Wrinkles and smell in sheets. Complained again. Third room, same or worse. Fourth room same or worse. This hotel has not been properly cleaned since it was open. Wiped floor in one room and the cloth was BLACK. And that wasn't even in the bathroom! Then I thought if the rooms of this beautiful, new hotel are this bad, what is the food prep area like. Desk clerk called manager and he acted like what was wrong? I told him. Credit card credited. Now, tryring to find a room in Savannah, Friday night. Didn't need this, after driving almost five hours at seventy yrs old. This could be a great place if it was corporate managed and maintained.
My husbanded and I had been gone from our HHI home due to Matthew for 5 nights and wanted to get home. We knew there would be issues with getting back on the island the first day so we looked for a hotel closer to home so we could go the second day. We called several hotels in the HHI/Savannah area and had the best response/help from Ashley at the Best Western Plus Hardeeville Inn and Suites. When I spoke with her on my first call she stated they had no rooms but call back the next day. I called the next morning and she helped me get a room. When we checked in later in the day she remembered speaking with me. That made us feel so welcome and special.
We were part of the evacuation for Hurricane Matthew. After weathering the storm in mid Georgia? We moved to Hardeeville SC to be closer when we are allowed back. We selected this hotel because it takes larger pets (80 lbs). Turns out it just opened 4 months ago so brand new. King suites are very spacious and they have an expansive breakfast. Grassy area for the dog is adequate. Right next to I95 exit. Highly recommend!
We arrived at the property during the Hurricane Matthew evacuation. We arrived just when the power went back on and things were in a state of chaos. The manager on duty, Janki, was calm cool and collected and handled the situation professionally an admirably given the difficult situation. Kyle who is the chief maintenance man even helped us carry our bags upstairs to our room as the elevators weren't working at the time. We were so happy to find this brand new beautiful hotel. It truly was a Haven in a storm and we were just so fortunate. The staff here is wonderful. All of them did everything they could, whatever it took, during a very stressful and challenging time and they did it all with grace, ease, friendliness, professionalism and courtesy. We couldn't be happier! Thank you so much!
We required a handicap room and were very pleased with the entire experience for the price. The bath was so accommodating with big roll-in shower, bench, extra large door. Very clean and well kept overall. The only complaint is the bed is too high for a handicapped person to maneuver in and out of, but it was plush & comfortable just the same.
Newly renovated, found this gem of a hotel right off of I-95 on our way to Florida from the OBX. Reasonably priced. The room was spacious and clean. The only down side was the obvious odor of fresh paint and new carpet. The staff was friendly and very accomodating.
This is a new hotel that is absolutely beautiful. The front desk area is modern and includes a snack area where coffee is available 24/7, an internet lab, large tv and seating and a breakfast area that looks like a major restaurant. The room was very modern, lots of tile floors, upgraded bathrooms and our king bed was very comfortable. We will be making it our southern stop when traveling from NJ to FL. Very nice facility, I believe it opened May 2016. The hotel is pet friendly. Although we did not eat the free breakfast since we left at 5am, it appeared to have many choices, fresh waffles, etc.
We arrived and were very impressed with appearance. We checked into our room and had no electric and bathtub hadn't been cleaned! Called the front desk and girl was very efficient and apologetic. The maintenance man was summoned immediately and she cleaned the tub promptly , it appeared to be an oversight as the room was very clean, new and had great amenities. The maintenance man flipped the circuit breaker and we were back in business. They were very friendly and helpful! After that all was terrific! The breakfast was a full breakfast, eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, bagels, muffins etc. They usually have gluten free items on request as the sign said ,but this time they were out of them. One thing lacking is there are No big chain restaurants here, only fast food and a Mexican restaurant. Need to drive 15 mins for other dining, we had eaten before check in so not a problem.
Nice to find a pet friendly newer hotel with clean and comfortable room. No outside guest noises. Slight dampness though in room that they'll need to fix, and fan ran 24/7 on unit even in auto mode so never got that total quiet I like. Grassy areas to walk pets happen to be up close to hotel, which is great, but ran along outside of guest rooms windows, so felt uncomfortable to be walking around there. An area off to side of hotel was available but grass was not cut at the time and other landscaped areas, being new, were filled with pine straw only, which just sticks to furry pet fur. Staff was the friendliest I've encountered in long time .... going out of way to please guests. I made silly comment about the annoying door bell that went off each time a guest comes in front door (didnt hear from room but imagined they must be tired of hearing it) and one of staff hurried to shut it off. Not my usual stopping place in route but if had to stop here, this is place I'd stop at again.
This is a nice new hotel. We thought it was very clean until we found a dirty, smelly sock under a chair. The pool was not open during our stay. Breakfast was adequate but the whole place could use a little tweaking before it gets 4 stars. Restaurants in the area are few and far between.
I looked up new Best Western hotels on their website and found this one that worked out for us o road trip on 95 Maine to Florida. It was total modern! Unique carts for luggage, decorative photos of regional sights, everything polished. Sarah did great job with check in -- I had $50 coupon in email, previous Best WEstern I visited the clerk didn't have a clue how to apply it for the stay. It is in a rather dubious neighborhood -- warned by another guest that there were homeless folks around when she had taken a talk. As we unpacked a man dressed in priest costume ask for money.
This hotel surpassed all our expectations. Everything was new and modern, including the lobby and breakfast room. The breakfast was delicious. The internet was fast and very reliable. Wonderful shower along with a comfortable bed. Service was great!
Clean and excellent value. The furnishings were attractive and linens were clean and crisp. Front desk was friendly. Hot breakfast offered something for everyone and it was tasty. Stayed there twice and not disappointed.
I recommend this hotel; good staff, great rates, good ownership. When they ran over on breakfast time they continued to serve everyone until they were taken care of which meant that breakfast got delayed breakdown of an hour and a half .Rooms were clean, stylish, and exceeded my expectations. Nice job. I recommend this one. TRAVELERS TIP: get the coupon book at the south Carolina visitor center . This move saved us $65!
This is one of the newest Best Western Plus's and so it is very clean and very comfy. We enjoyed our stay and Michelle who was at the desk when we check in. She is definitely a good choice to be the person to welcome guests. We would stay here again.
This hotel was amazing and the staff was so great! I called around 12am looking fit a hotel for a 3am check-in. The attendant helped get me the best rate and gave me advice on which room to get! When we got there at 3am the man at the desk knew we were exhausted and did everything to accommodate us quickly! The hotel itself was just renovated! Great room - huge!
We stopped here overnight on the way from Maryland to Florida and loved it! It's like brand new! The decor is beautiful, the shower had great pressure, the hotel is dog friendly, the breakfast great, and the price was fantastic! It's very convenient just off 95. Can't recommend this hotel enough.
Stayed for one night on my way to N.C. Lots of flee motels along I 95 but this new BW plus is really lovely. Prasmant, the manager on duty greeted me warmly and without a reservation got me set up in the room on the first floor within a few minutes. The room looks great I call it “modern comfort”. The king size bed is super plush without being too soft, large flat screen TV and beautiful bathroom with great water pressure in shower. Also in the room; hair dryer, iron, microwave. I slept well and didn't hear any noise during the night. The breakfast is generous; eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruits, and cereals you can even make yourself a fresh waffle.
Stayed here on a quick overnight stay. Can tell recently updated, with modern decor. Was clean, comfortable and budget friendly. Staff was friendly. Convenient to interstate and short drive to dining in Savanah, GA. Would stay again.
Traveling after a Hurricane is challenging and most of the hotels were booked or way over priced. BW was clean and priced right for a good nights sleep. Staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't use the free breakfast but it smelled awesome!
This is a newly renovated property that is outstanding. Lobby has a modern motifs. Room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom reminded us of a 5 star hotel. Sarah checked us in very efficiently even though they were having some computer issues. Ample area to walk your pet. Breakfast was very good except for the biscuits that reminded me of hockey pucks. Would definitely stay again.
My brother and I needed a hotel for a quick overnight stay on a long drive between Maryland and Florida. We chose the Best Western based on other Trip Advisor reviews. The hotel is newly renovated and immaculate. We arrived quite late, and the young woman and the front desk had trouble getting us checked in. She quickly gave us keys anyway, and said we would square up in the morning. Staff was friendly and polite. Great place!
Good place to break up trip to Florida from points north. Convenient to I95 highway. Easy off and back on. Clean comfortable friendly staff to take care of your needs. Fairly new hotel. Typical morning buffet limited in selection.
Spent a wonderful, relaxing night here on our way to Daytona Beach, Florida. Sarah welcomed us with a smile. Very new and clean and it was nice to sit out by the pool. Also a great price. Recommend it highly. David from Rockaway.
Everything is fresh very clean crisp modern deco. Nice breakfast choices .. friendly staff..... only complaint was they need bigger signage lots of hotels their signs overwhelm the best western one from the southbound direction on 95......... everything else was aces . This was a standard hotel/motel just brand new everything worked and was extremely clean
This hotel was the best hotel i have ever stayed in. We got in late and Ashley helped us find something to eat for dinner and a place to buy swim diapers for my baby. The beds were extremly comfortable, the ac in the room got cold instantly, the room and bathroom were very clean, the bathroom sparkled, and the room smelled heavnly. And breakfest the next morning was excellent.
Sarah at the front desk was very friendly, professional, and super helpful to everyone around. The hotel was new, pretty and comfortable. Coffee was hot and fresh. Will definitely be coming back if we're in the area again, no complaints here.
After driving for 9 hrs with a 6 yr old we decided to stop. I walked in the lobby and could tell right away that it was a brand new hotel. It was so nice and clean! The beds, pillows and bathrooms are amazing. The big tv was great although we just slept, showered and ate breakfast which was also good. My Only complaint is the lighting in the bathroom above the sink was not the best but I would definitely stay again if ever back that way. Very friendly front desk staff. Didn't have any contact with any other employees.
We checked into this hotel and checked out within 5 minutes. The room was damp, dingy and disgusting! There was mold all over the sleeper sofa! The woman at the front desk was totally unprofessional.... she was dressed very sloppy and spoke like she was high. The only reason why we went to Hardeeville was because we were on our way to HHI and got there before schedule. HHI hotels were all booked that night so we tried Hardeeville. We tried another hotel on the same strip and although the staff there was more better, the room had roaches crawling on the night table....no thanks!! Horrible experience, terrible town with disgusting accommodations! Avoid this town and drive another few minutes to Savannah instead!
Probably the best, best western I have ever stayed in, the newer style is the best, this is a re done newby, grey soft colors, bedding comfy, the bathroom was so cool! We will be back when going to savannah it's not that far! Front destroy folks were fast and efficient.coffee at 3pm was really great, not left over from the morning!
What a nice surprise this Hotel is! It's clean, updated, comfortable and not the usual "just off the highway" type of hotel. the people are super nice... especially Sara at the front desk who seems to be omni-present! We'd stay here anytime we found ourselves nearby. This is a little Gem of a Hotel.
The hotel is fully renewed, the beds were comfortable and clean, the staff was nice. Bfast was good and had many things to choose from . Our only remark would be that the AC unit was very loud. Would stay there again.
I was really surprised how nice this 2 1/2 star ranked property was. Booked it last minute and dealt with friendly staff. Michelle was especially helpful in meeting my needs and helping to book an extra night the first visit and another night later in the week due to having such a pleasant first visit. Room was spacious and CLEAN with LED lighting throughout and a larger than usual flatscreen TV and internet was good. Beds and pillows were full and comfortable. A/C in first room was controlled from thermostat on wall and 2nd unit I stayed in it was on the in-wall unit itself, nonetheless it controlled the temperature in the room very well. Some review that A/C noise is problematic, but I prefer to keep the fan on with a/c as the constant hum as it helps to drown out any other noises. Breakfast was awesome with little biscuits, sausage, round pressed scrambled eggs, but the gravy was a bit sausage and pepper heavy. I would have loved for bacon to be served. There are waffles for making, boiled eggs, yogurt cups, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, milk, coffee, apple juice and orange juice and a TV in the dining room. The only problems I encountered was the pool needing servicing, and I believe it was in the process of happening and the luggage carts are a bit small 3 wheeled versions. I did not see any bugs on my 3 days I stayed and that is ALWAYS a positive.
The hotel was very clean and very nice and the staff went above and beyond what they to do to make us comfortable. We did have breakfast there and it was full and very nice. check out was easy and simple.
Although the hotel is newer, it is actually a renovated old hotel that BW bought. It was done very cheaply. The front desk staff is very nice. Some things to note about the room: The toilet paper is like cardboard, the pillow had black streaks all over it, and the walls are paper thin. The room was pretty clean except dust on the night stand. Light not working in the bathroom, but the shower head was nice. The A/C sounds like a small engine airplane is about to burst through your window. I saw other reviews saying the same thing and the hotel said it was fixing the issue. It's obviously not fixed. It is effective against the 104 degree heat, however. Throughout the night it went in and out and made the temperature fluctuate. Made for an uncomfortable night. Breakfast was bare basics. The hot water to make your oatmeal was cold, the yogurt bar was only tiny cups of activia and some things to put on top. No other choices besides activia. The sitting are is very small and gets crowded fast and the order of the food makes no sense. Oatmeal but no bowls, hit water, or spoons nearby, for example. You have to go in and out of the line in different areas and makes for chaos. This area leaves much to be desired. No good sit down restaurants around. And the feeling of the area is very unsafe. We attempted to go to one restaurant in town and left because a man approached a nearby car holding a handgun. We then tried to go to 2 more places in nearby Rincon and saw people shooting heroin and snorting coke in their cars in the parking lots. We felt very unsafe as we had 2 little kids with us. If you can bear so many small (and not so small) annoyances you will be fine here. We will look elsewhere next time.
I was searching for a good room near the Bluffton SC area and saw a lot of places, but it was when I started looking at the actual customer's pictures that made me realize those "corporate pics" were not for real. Some other hotels that "looked" good didn't after real customers posted mold, cracked walls, old wallpaper, etc and.....worse, pics of bugs and roaches. UGH! This place is not brand spanking new, but pretty recent compare to the other places and the folks there were very nice. The hot breakfast offered sausage, eggs, waffles yogurt, cereal, etc....very good considering I've been places where cereal and pastries was it. I would go back and my kids and I really liked how clean the place was.
We check in Late, and were immediately getting a fabulous clean Beautiful Room.Entire Hotel is Spotless and Clean. Room was big,we had a 2 Queen.Bathroom is gorgeous.Breakfast was fresh.so we will definitely Stop again. Thanks
Obviously a new hotel. Stayed here during my daughter's orientation at USCB. Very nice. Had water rings on the stand by the bed that had not been cleaned from previous guests. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was a little heck-tick. Not enough staff to help with keeping the food stocked and not really enough room for everyone to eat. Our shower leaked, but I believe it was because of the stoppers and not being able to close the doors all the way. Let management know, but we did not get a shower after this so I don't know if it was fixed properly or not. Management did ask for permission for maintenance to enter our room to work on it, which I thought was very polite. Will definitely be staying there again!
So many things wrong. Room dirty - bottles of water on the ground. One light was out. Curtains don't block the outside light (room 102) so no sleep. AC so loud - they said they are in the process of fixing them. Internet not consistent. Check in took 20 minutes. Stay elsewhere, there are many other choices around.
This hotel was so nice. This was my first time staying and the room was very clean and the bed was so plush. I slept like a baby. Had a refrigerator, microwave and a nice size Tv. They also had a hot breakfast for us the next morning. I was hesitant on staying at this hotel but would stay again. I usually stay at courtyard Marriott or Renaissance hotels but this one was comparable so I didn't miss a thing.
This was a wonderful hotel with a nice pool and the rooms were super nice. The rooms were on the small size, but the bathroom was huge. My son enjoyed the pool immensely and the staff was super friendly and nice. The breakfast lounge was very crowded but that may be due to everyone going at the same time.
I stayed here with my wife on a Friday night. The hotel seems relatively new and has a contemporary-themed décor. At check-in, I was asked for my credit card and a driver's license to confirm my identity. Upon seeing my state of license issue as NY, the person checking me in commented “A Yankee” and then proceeded to finish with my check-in. I wasn't quite sure what to make of that welcome. The room was nicely decorated with large pictures on the walls and all of the furniture was expresso colored. The bathroom was also nicely decorated with white stone countertops and the large shower stall was lined with a metallic glass tile band about half-way up the white stone shower walls. The following room items would have been helpful during my stay: the room desk did not have a lamp on it and the wall that it is against did not have any electrical outlets available for laptop or cell phone recharging use. The only AC outlets are by the bed so I had to sit on the bed to use an outlet for my AC adapter to do my laptop work. Very uncomfortable. There were only 2 lamps in the room…on by the bed and the other in a corner of the room. The desk work area is dark and additional lights by the desk would have been helpful. Perhaps a desk lamp? A more thorough room cleaning was also in order. One of the bed skirts had two large stains on it and the seat on the upholstered chair in the room had residue of previous spills or some other dried liquid on it. Dust covered many of the room's surfaces. The breakfast area is nicely appointed and decorated. The room is about 24X36 feet and had over 50 people in it on a Saturday morning at 8:20 AM trying to get breakfast. Talk about gridlock! The woman working the breakfast room was trying her best to keep up with the demand and the constantly emptied breakfast items. The breakfast prep room is a few doors down the hall so she was constantly walking back and forth between the two rooms. A suggestion would be to have an additional person on staff during weekends….one person in the prep area cooking and plating the foods while the second person is the “runner” who brings the food out from the prep room into the breakfast area and maintains that room. All in all, a very nice looking property that falls short on providing its guests with the best possible experience and service.
New hotel sharp looking, comfortable, clean beds, but our room had no soap or shampoo. Also, there was old smelly food left in the refrigerator . Desk clerk had hard time finding a bar of soap, but finally found one bar. Breakfast was late and poorly supervised. Waffle maker not on and some guests simply left. Obvious this place needs management attention and training asap.
This hotel is new, clean, and a great value. Under staffed, but the staff is friendly and very helpful. But there are some issues. Only sheer curtains on windows and there are bright lights on the outside of the building at night --- so room won't be totally dark. The shower is a one piece fiberglass unit and the floor of the shower gives a little when you are standing in it. Older people may have a balance and stability problem here. Also, each room has it's own A/C and heating unit while new and works fine --- is noisy. I had to shut the unit off at night to get quiet to sleep. Great value for the price, but some issues which I've outlined
We stayed here on our way up north. They allowed us to do a late check in, the front desk clerk was very polite and friendly. From the outside you can tell this place is new, from the inside you get the same feeling. Nicely decorated and we'll maintained. We had a room with two double beds, had plenty of room. There was a desk and sitting chair in the corner. The bathroom was very nice with a tall shower. That's important for anykne over 5'3. Air conditioning and heat work very well. Beds were extremely comfortable, as good if not better than home. Also has free WiFi as well as a very well stocked and freshly made breakfast which includes waffles, eggs, sausage and pastries. I'd highly recommend this hotel to everyone. For the price, under a hundred bucks for me, you just cannot beat it. Very happy we stayed here.
My family and I were traveling back home from south Florida and we decided to stop and rest halfway. I found this hotel originally on Hotels.com. It was right off the interstate and easy to find. It's clean on the outside. When we went to check in and realized that I had booked the wrong date. Michelle, the front desk manager, let me know that there would be no issue on her end and she would even honor the price I'd already paid. Unfortunately the issue came with Hotels.com. Michelle was so wonderful and went above and beyond to help me get this issue resolved. The room was beautiful and clean. The shower had really hot water which is nice after a long day of traveling and was also clean. The beds.....oh the wonderful beds. They were super comfy. We had no issues with cable or wifi. Breakfast wasn't bad. There were alot of selections; from a waffle bar to hot biscuits and gravy to muffins. Overall, this was a wonderful stay and we will be back!
We stopped here for the night on our way up north. This hotel just opened up in May 2016. We were very pleased with this hotel. It was very clean and orderly. The staff is/was very nice. The lobby was very inviting. The continental breakfast was great. Plenty to choose from. Lastly, the pool was great! Very nice and cleaned to a sparkle.
This was my first time at a Best Western but I will definitely be back. I strongly recommend this property, as it is great and in pristine condition. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options to choose from. My room (double queen) was nice and spacious with a very comfortable bed and adequate number of pillows, very clean bathroom with great counter space. I will definitely stay here again and strongly recommend it to travelers. The hotel definitely lives up to its name: the BEST!
We had a long walk to get ice/snacks. Map was difficult to navigate. I spent 10 minutes looking for the ice machine. Luckily, I had my room key because you can't get ice without it. The establishment is shaped like an L. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. That's the important part. There's a Denny's inside. We got a voucher for 3 basic breakfasts (from Denny's) to choose from.
Stopped in late at night after a long day of driving home to Florida. Loved this new hotel. The rooms are huge and have a large bathroom and sitting area. Very clean, great shower, fantastic bed. Would love to stay here again.
We needed a good clean place to stay with our grandchildren and was extremely happy with this place. Desk persons were helpful and friendly. Room was clean, & comfortable. Breakfast was also good. There was not much choice for dining out except for fast food.
Room was very nice when cleaned. Just was not cleaned daily. Long wait times at desk for phone pick up or in person. Pool could use improvement on open times and cleanup. Breadkfast was good as well as shower and beds.
This is the best you will find for under $125. Very clean. Friendly staff. Convenient stop near Savannah. Bathrooms are new. Bedding new. Great TV reception. Air Conditioning is quick to cool the room down. Take advantage of this while you can.
My mom and I stayed here for 4 nights. There were a few hiccups when we first arrived (the hotel was brand new and some wrinkles were still being ironed out) but they were so accommodating and helpful to fix any problems. The staff was so pleasant and fun. I would recommend this Best Western Plus to everyone. It was right on Hwy 17 which took us right into Savannah, so even if you think that it looks a little too far out of town, it really isn't. It was an excellent location and very clean and tidy. Thank you for helping us have a great weekend.
All the employees were warm and friendly and very accommodating. The hotel was immaculate (it's new)and very nicely decorated. The breakfast was tasty and area kept very clean! The hotel has Easy access on and off of I-95.
This property is not listed on Tripadvisor, and not advertised. Just opened, and we were fortunate to have found it. We have traveled from coast to coast and have never ran across such a nice and accommodating property. All of the competition needs to take heed, this is the NEW direction of hospitality!
