Learn more about Dubai
Dubai is a city of extravagance and contrasts, perfect for a lively and varied stay. The city also blends modernity with tradition.
Begin your visit in the Deira district, just a stone's throw from our hotels. Deira is the city's historic quarter and lets you discover the authentic side of Dubai. It is known for its many souks, especially the wonderful Gold Souk, where you will be dazzled by the colour of this precious metal.
A short distance from the souks, treat yourself to a trip along Dubai's iconic river, Dubai Creek. There is no better way to enjoy it than by hopping on a water taxi to explore the city's different districts.
Head to Downtown Dubai, where extravagance takes centre stage. The must-see attraction in Dubai is the world's tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa, which rises to 828 metres; even though the visit stops at 450 metres, you will enjoy a spectacular view. In the evening, you simply cannot miss the choreographed fountains: the 30-minute outdoor show features water jets shooting up to 150 metres in different colours, set to music. This show is free and magical. Still in the spectacular vein, visit the country's largest shopping centre and one of the biggest in the world, the Dubai Mall, where you won't be able to resist a long shopping session.
Dubai also lets you enjoy the beach and magnificent sunsets. Although most beaches are private, Umm Suqeim Beach is free and offers a view of the iconic Burj Al Arab, recognisable by its sail shape. For lovers of incredible experiences, head to the Mall of the Emirates shopping centre, home to an indoor ski slope.
On the cultural side, the Dubai Museum will immerse you in the history of the country and its transformation into a world-class tourist destination; you can also visit the Jumeirah Mosque to learn about the history of Islam. If you love modern art, Dubai is now home to many art galleries in the Bastakiya and Al Quoz districts. Don't miss a visit to the Louvre Abu Dhabi either: opened in 2017, it is the first universal museum in the Arab world. Finally, don't leave the city without a desert excursion to enjoy sumptuous landscapes of dunes as far as the eye can see. Don't wait any longer: book a hotel in Dubai now.
