Loved the hotel. Especially Sandra & Isabella at the front office. Always welcoming and cheerful. They truly made our Paris experience a superlative one with all the assistance in booking events and tours. And the housekeeping is simply exceptional too!
Nice boutique hotel in the main area with a quick walk to restaurants, boutiques and other hotels including the Ritz for high tea. The front desk staff are very nice. They helped us with anything we needed. The rooms aren't fancy but are clean.
Thoroughly enjoyed seven nights in this centrally located, charming hotel. While the bar and lounge are beautiful rooms, the warm and welcoming staff are what makes this hotel particularly comfortable.
Pleasant experience especially at the cafe every morning when you are welcomed by a friendly staff, Fernando. He went to the extend of remembering what we eat and serve it to us even without asking from the 3rd morning onwards. Very thoughtful and kind of Fernando!
Best Western premier collection is an accurate description- it a more budget friendly hotel that is still within walking distance to some of Paris' best known sites. It is a good value for the location (right by opera house, approx. 10-15 walk to Louvre). The hotel is also within walking distance to a Roissy bus stop (travel to/from CDG) and the RER A as well as metro lines 3, 7 and 8. The hotel is clean and fairly updated (rooms are more updated than some of the hotel's common areas). It was unseasonably hot for April the night I stayed and air conditioning was available, which was greatly appreciated. The hotel offered both express and buffet options for breakfast. On weekdays, express started at 6am and buffet started at 7am. Express included a beverage and pastry/bread option for under 10 euros and the buffet had limited hot food options (scrambled eggs, breakfast meat) as well as bread/pastries, dried fruit, yogurt and granola. Various hot beverages and juice are also available with the breakfast buffet. Express breakfast was available at the bar and the breakfast buffet was in a breakfast room off the lobby, The double room was much larger than expected for a European hotel room with multiple large windows (and great blackout curtains), with TV channels in French as well as a few in English and it appeared a couple were in other languages as well. Note- There is construction occurring across the street. While this may be loud during the day, it did not impact my stay (was out during the day, just back in the evening). My room faced the street and there was minimal street noise overnight given the hotel's city location.
Couple of crucial points that made this a great choice for us, a couple on a tourist 4 day trip to Paris. 5 mins walk from Opera Metro station, we got a Eurostar train to GDN and it was easy to get to Opera station from there. Walking distance to a lot of things to do, everyone's walking capacity is different but lots within 1/2 hour from the hotel if you are reasonably fit. Surrounded by food options from French to Asian and cheap to expensive. The area around the hotel itself felt very safe and busy. Lots of shopping options again within a 1/2 hours walk. We booked a Superior Double room with Shower, it was on the 4th floor room 405 and was fantastic. Paris hotel rooms are famously small this was more than generous and very comfortable. Note it is a very conservatively styled, more old school hotel, it could not be described as 'Hip' if that's what you want to experience. The pictures portrayed on Trip Advisor are very representative. The stand out for me was the bathroom, large and beautifully tilled, it had no bath but a lovely rainfall shower that was a joy after a days walking. The only negative and it was not a big deal for us was breakfast. It was fine and had lots of OK options but with so many great lunch options around I would save your appetite for that and grab a fresh croissant and a coffee to get you through the morning. Could not fault the cleanliness anywhere in the hotel and staff were always attentive and friendly. When we return to Paris we will return to here and specifically to the same room.
Wonderful hotel with a spacious room and sparkling clean bathroom. I booked directly and got a nice discount on the filling breakfast. I also had a glass of wine at the bar , and read in the comfortable lounge. The staff were extremely gracious and helpful . I felt that the hotel was an excellent value in a central Paris location. I would book again.
Comfortable small hotel between the Opera and Place Vendome. Good local restaurants nearby. Reasonable (Paris) rates. Allows easy walks to Louve, Opera (great tour, a must do). Rooms tend to be smaller, but comfortable. My preferred Paris accommodation for the last 20 yrs (and 12 visits).
We enjoyed our 6-night stay in Hotel L'Horset Opera. The staff were efficient, friendly and professional. The place is nice and clean. Some rooms are better than others, though, when it comes to space, amenities and views.
My wife and I were extremely pleased that we selected this hotel for our stay in Paris over the New Year holiday. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of many of the sights of Paris. The hotel room was very nice and comfortable. Most importantly, the staff were awesome. Sandra, the hotel receptionist was very polite, friendly and helpful. Fernando, the bell hop/breakfast waiter, was equally polite, friendly and helpful. Isabella, the concierge, was incredible. Not only was she polite and friendly, but she was extremely knowledgeable about stores and restaurants in the area and helped us book our New Year's Eve dinner as well as tickets for some of the local attractions. I highly recommend staying at the L'Horset Opera Hotel. This will be our hotel of choice when we return to visit.
Fernando is a very good person on the breakfast and a good service. Front desk was perfect specially Isabelle. The room is very clean and the location couldn't be better. The hotel is right in the center of the city surrounded by restaurants and bars Hotel staff excellent service very kind very clean rooms we loved it and will definitely come back again
We booked this hotel for my birthday. The room was small but that is normal in Paris. It did have a little balcony. The bed was very comfortable, water was hot, it had tea and coffee making facilities and a chair, one club type and a desk chair. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but used the bar area and the nice lounge off reception. Both good. The area is fabulous, close to the Opera Garnier, restaurants, cafes and the Opera metro. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money? Not really sure that it is. Everything was lovely and you pay for being in that area. Couldn't really fault anything but maybe a little overpriced with nothing extra in the room. Would still recommend if you want to stay in the heart of Opera. Down a quiet little street which is good.
Outstanding Beautiful place Great location Outstanding service-Alina ,Isabella and other staff were friendly and attentive Very clean and charming Nice size stylish room and very comfortable bed Big modern bathrooms Nice breakfast 10 minutes from louvre and opera ,but also very close to local Nice places Definitely would stay again Thank you!
Hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was very responsive to our requests (although we did not truly challenge them!). They stored our luggage upon our arrival and contacted us as soon as our room was ready. They were also very helpful in arranging transportation to the airport when we departed as we had an early flight and a large party with lots of luggage. The hotel is in a fantastic location, and we were able to walk all over Paris - nothing was over a 30 minute walk, and most places were much closer. We will definitely be back!
Located on a quiet side street near the Opera, this is a good place from which to tour. The neighborhood has a variety of restaurants (though several were closed due to the August vacation period). The hotel is clean and quiet, the rooms can be small (so we were given an upgrade with my BW status) and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast (not included) is good, with a variety of breakfast choices. The breakfast staff is friendly and will make cappuccino on request. The nearby Italian restaurant Villa Dondelli is a reliable choice for lunch and dinner.
I have stayed five times already, and this is my go to hotel whenever i go to paris. And there is one person who makes the stay extra special: Fernando. He is always kind and helpful, I get the best room service and Fernando is there for you 24/7. The ladies and gentlemen at the front desk are also always helpful and friendly. Once we were forced to stay an extra night in Paris. I called the Hotel and a room was immediately prepared for us. The rooms are very spacious and clean! The hotel is also very pet friendly. My puppy loves it here too Hope to be back soon! Tuyet Tran
We stayed her for 3 nights post a tour of France. The staff were wonderful. We arrived early and they stored our bags, and they were in our room on our return. They were very helpful with directions. The hotel location is great. Close to Metro, a couple blocks. It is within walking distance to the Louvre, Orsay and gardens (about a mile). It is in the Opera district, and near everything, but is on a side street so there are no noise issues. Best shower we had in France! They had a scale to weigh our bags which was nice and made my hubby happy!!. Would highly recommend .
We couldn't have stayed at a more friendly, helpful, lovely hotel. The staff was very accommodating... helpful in every way! Our room was beautiful and so was the lobby. We loved that the hotel was smaller than most. The croissants and hot chocolate were delicious! Our server, Fernando, treated us with such courtesy! We would stay here again!
On short notice we booked the BW L'Horset Opera for 3 nts in May. We're not familiar with that part of Paris and didn't know what to expect. From our arrival to our departure, our stay was wonderful. It's a small hotel, but the rooms are spacious (for Paris), well maintained, and nicely decorated. The hotel is on a narrow one-way side street off Avenue de L'Opera, so it's quiet and there's very little street noise. The bed was very comfortable, we had a nice writing desk, a fridge, and a large luxurious bathtub - just what we needed after hours of exploring Paris by foot! The lobby and client bar are comfortable and beautifully decorated. The breakfast buffet is quite good, with warm oven baked croissants, scrambled or hard boiled eggs, yogurts, jams, cold cuts, fruit juices, and a selection of excellent coffees and teas. The service in every instance was impeccable, and the staff are lovely. Walk out in any direction and you'll discover restaurants, shops, theater, and the eye candy of Paris. We will definitely return to the Hotel L'Horset Opera on our next visit to Paris. While all the staff were excellent, we especially want to mention Isabella at the Front Desk, who checked us in and out. She was professional yet friendly, and gave us an excellent dinner recommendation within walking distance. We had a memorable evening and discovered a new area with several of restaurants that we would never have found on our own.
My wife and I really enjoyed our 5 night stay at this hotel. While the room was small (common with European hotels), it was very comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and had quality choices. Our favorite feature of the hotel was the bar. It had a cozy atmosphere and was a nice place to unwind in the evenings. The hotel is close to the Opera Metro station and is also within walking distance of the Louvre. The neighborhood around the hotel is very pleasant with many restaurants to choose from.
Currently Jan 3,2023, staying at L'Horset Opera ; it is magnificent! Fernando has been superb helping us so much upon our very early arrival at 7:00am after our long flight from New Orleans . We were exhausted . He made us so comfortable in the lounge and arranged quick cleaning of our rooms and provided breakfast . Fernando said he would meet all our needs and he greatly exceeded anything we could have imagined. Best Western should reward Fernando !!
Great hotel, excellent location close to all main attractions and shopping. Nice room, very quiet. The staff is extra ordinary, especially Fernando and Chathura at breakfast, they were so nice and helpful to us! Highly recommended in Paris
A gorgeous hotel with lots of Parisian charm! The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to assist us with making phone calls when we needed. We speak very little french and the staff spoke excellent English and were able to assist us with no problems. The room we had was quite small but I suspect that's probably common in central Paris. The location is great, very close to shops, 5 mins walk to the Louvre and good access to restaurants. The street is quite and we had no noise issues. We did not eat the breakfast so can't comment on that; but it smelled wonderful when we went past! The cocktails at happy hour are OK - nothing special but they were good. I'd stay here again if I come back to Paris!
Beautiful hotel, very good location in close proximity to the Louvre and Arc de triomphe. Fantastic shopping location. The Hotel went above and beyond ensuring the bedroom Was to our needs. The service was outstanding. A special thank you to Fernando who is an extremely hard working polite gentleman. Fernando was working at breakfast, was working as a concierge host and a bar tender. A fantastic asset to this hotel. Highly recommend will stay again. Clean and spacious bedrooms
Staff is extremely efficient and friendly, the hotel has a central and safe location (2 minutes walk to the Opera, 10 minutes walk to Madeleine, 5 minutes walk to Vendôme square). Location is so central that you can reach all the main monuments in Paris avoiding the necessity of using the Metro. Breakfast is fair, just the room was somehow small (approx. 15 m2). A clever choice to visit Paris.
Wonderful boutique hotel with everything you need and fantastic service from the front desk (Sandra and Team) to the bar/breakfast area, every one did an outstanding job. The fifth floor king room was very comfortable, a decent size for french standards with two balconies and lovely views of the roof tops. Great bathroom with bath tub. Really nice touch to provide 2 tall refillable daily water bottles and a tea kettle. After a long tiring day being able to sit at the bar and have a cocktail with a snack to relax before dinner was a plus. The hotel organizes airport transfers and our driver Antony and his large clean vehicle made it a very pleasant ride to and from CDG. We will definitely come back to L'Horset Opéra next time we're in Paris!
Absolutely loved everything about this hotel. We got the Premium room which I recommend as our friends got the less expensive room and it was small. It was not a lot of $ to reserve the Premium over the other room. A perfect Parisian hotel. Great service, less than five minute walk to Opera House and metro, close to Galeries Lafayette. Opposite direction close to the Louvre so you can walk there. That area has tons of outdoor cafes. Room is a perfect size and large bathroom. I'm back in Paris next year and will definitely stay here again. FYI Ubers were hard to get so the hotel would order a taxi for us.
Front staff very accommodating. One helped us get a taxi tour to all the places we wanted to see by communicating with driver who didn't speak much English. Our room is a good sizes and quiet. They will refill your water with filtered water each day. Beds comfy. The location is very easy to get all around city from Opera metro stop. Room was nice cool temperature even in heat wave. Items to note: it is a big step to get into shower/tub so anyone with any mobility issues might struggle. No shower curtain so need to be careful with water. Good water pressure.
This is a great little hotel in a nice location. It's just off the beaten path so your not in the middle of all the buzz that is Paris ... but it's just a short walk to get into it when you're ready to go. Our was small but clean. Rooms in the EU are typically on the smaller side so I knew what I was getting going in. They have a safe and a fridge in the room which we appreciated. All the staff in the hotel were great. Front desk staff were all very helpful and friendly. The gentleman running the lounge bar was super friendly. Pretty fun to hang out there after a long day of walking. The gentleman running the breakfast was great as well. He didn't speak much English but he was doing the best he could at conversing and making sure everything was looked after. There is a little bit of street noise at night (we faced the street) but it wasn't terrible. Not much the hotel can do about it and by Paris standards it is probably pretty quite in comparison. Overall I liked this hotel a lot and I thought it had pretty good value.
It was my first visit to Paris and I have to admit that I heard not so nice things about the city and people so I was a bit nervous on arrival. However, from the moment I arrived at this hotel, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. I was very tired and went to my room and imagine my surprise when the phone rings and the hotel asked if would be okay if they bring me a welcome basket! Wow! Yes, just what was needed!! A minute later there was a knock at the door and a wonderful gift basket with a bottle of wine and some other things. Wow! And the room was spectacular! Location was outstanding! Just a great hotel!!!
Great hotel in Paris. Near L'Opera and in a pleasant neighborhood. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Friendly staff. On the hotel's website, you can find restaurant recommendations. We reserved at La Fontaine Gaillon, a really great restaurant with great food. The hotel is also near Europe's first cocktail bar: Harry's bar which you should visit.
I enjoyed the location of this hotel. It was an easy walk to the Opera, metro, Galeries Lafayette, etc. I did not enjoy the room itself. It felt very dark and we just could not get the air conditioning to work properly. It was always very hot in our room. If you dislike cramped spaces, you will hate the elevators in this hotel. They are TINY, and at one point the door on one did not open when we reached the lobby. I'm claustrophobic and I was weary the rest of the stay. I would not stay here again; I would find other accommodations nearby.
I have been going to this hotel for over 10yrs as I visit Paris for mtgs. It is just off the main street (Av de L'Opera) between the Opera house and the Lourve. Also on the edge of a thriving Japan/Korean food scene. Rooms are excellent, clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast service is excellent in the mornings. I contracted COVID while in Paris and this Hotel took wonderful care of me. They helped me through understanding what to do, and provided all the extra support they could. They checked in with me to make sure I was ok, and knew where the pharmacies were located. They simply and efficiently extended my stay every couple days as I waited to be tested Negative. The whole support staff was amazing bringing me breakfast, and Uber Eats food orders up to my room. I cannot THANK them enough!
This is a very charming hotel, well-located within a few minutes walk to world class shopping, entertainment, and plenty of good restaurants and bars. The staff are wonderful, very kind and accommodating. A special shout out to the lady at the breakfast, who was so sweet and thoughtful. The rooms are nice, large by Paris standards. Everything feels well taken care of. The WiFi works well and though the TV is not enormous you are not really in Paris to watch TV, are you? Beds are comfy, bathrooms are very nice (nice to have a proper bathtub), and the blackout curtains really darken the room well. You can also open windows for fresh air. The breakfast is something I often skip, but it's very worth it at the Horset. It looks like a compact spread but there is actually quite a lot of choice, and they are willing to make you an omelet to order or provide gluten-free choices. And the woman working at breakfast (I wish I caught her name!) is a delight. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Location is perfect to explore Paris, lots of food and drink options very close and within walking distance of the Louvre. Rooms are clean and well appointed, bathroom has clearly been modernised very recently.
At first, when I was looking for hotels in Paris, I did not find the hotel I used to stay in due to the delay in booking and this period is a season. You will not find affordable hotels. Watch Horst Opera Hotel and book it. I will not expect this excellent reception from the staff and the general cleanliness in the hotel and the provision of assistance and advice.. The custom is quiet and the bed is very comfortable.. You feel in this hotel as if you are at home.. The hotel is very close to the opera house. And from Galleries Lafayette and the metro.. a 10-minute walk to Madeleine and the Louvre.. I highly recommend it, and if I had the opportunity to visit Paris again I would not hesitate to live in it.. I thank all the employees without exception for the services they provided..
I recently had the pleasure of two separate stays at L'Horset Opera Hotel. On both visits I was very pleased with my rooms and the level of service and cleanliness provided. I find the hotel to be conveniently located and within walking distance to major museums and attractions, premier shopping and many superb restaurants. Throughout my stay, the ENTIRE front desk staff was VERY helpful and efficient and assisted me with obtaining a French Health Pass (Pass Sanitaire), purchasing tickets to major museums, making travel arrangements to the airport, providing recommendations to several excellent restaurants nearby and even posting a parcel on my behalf. I had a wonderful trip and L'Horset Opera Hotel helped make it so. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in Paris and am looking forward to my next visit!
Loved this hotel! It is very centrally located, within walking distance to the Louvre, Opera, Galeries Layfaytte, Palais Royal. The hotel itself is lovely, very cozy and well maintained. I loved the wood and wallpapered hallways. My room was comfortable, newly refurbished with a huge bathroom and a nice balcony. The staff are very helpful and friendly! Love the bar, great place to relax with a cocktail after a long day of walking the city
The rooms as expected a small but still decent size. Very centrally located with great connectivity to the rest of the city. The staff were really helpful. Close to tons of restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. Will definitely consider the hotel if we go back.
The hotel is excellently located, walking distance to many famous Parisian sites. Restaurants in the area are many and varied. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel and rooms are clean and smart. The rooms are well sized and the beds comfortable. I would have no doubts about staying here again.
a lovely small place located a few blocks from so many of Paris' must see destinaitons. We walked to them all from here. Lots of restaurants and a couple of grocery stores nearby. The room was a bit small but had all the amenties. The staff was wonderful (and multi lingual) and the breakfast buffet was at about the same price as all the restaurants in the neighbourhood but had more food selections and great coffee. We chose this hotel based on the recommendation of friends and we would be pleased to recommend it to others.
This hotel has an excellent location but we hardly found it as there was restoration next door. The taxi drew 2 times in front but could not spot the hotel so we went on foot. The good part is the room is sufficient. Newspapers are served.
Hotel staff was very nice. The bartender who also was the server and chef was so kind to prepare a very lovely meal that made me feel so much better as I was really worn down by the end of our trip. The location is ideal and the hotel (although the rooms and bathrooms are small) are pretty clean and comfortable.
We loved staying here, staffs were so nice and kind, from check in-breakfast, breakfast were delicious, they had also provide warm/hot water to my son during breakfast, as my son caught a cold. I'd definitely recommend this hotel!
Stayed here for several nights in January. The best part about it was the staff. All of the staffers were incredibly friendly and helpful -- the front desk always had someone who spoke excellent English. (Also, there is an adorable hotel cat.) We liked the location. Even though we were there during the transit strike, we found it easy enough to get around -- walking, taxis, Ubers, and by Lime or Uber scooters. The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast buffet had loads of options that would appeal to different nationalities. Drawbacks - tucked away on a dark side street. Currently has some scaffolding/construction going on.
Over the course of May and June 2019 we stayed 3 times at this charming hotel. By the 3rd visit we felt that we were coming home, such was the warmth of the staff in every area. All three of our rooms were delightful, clean and well appointed. Our visit was to celebrate a milestone birthday for my mother and everyone contributed to making this a very special visit to Paris, especially Balthazaar the hotel cat who specialises in meet and greet. We look forward to returning in 2020.
I spent only 1 night in the hotel, but my stay was nice. Good breakfast, clean rooms, nice and friendly staff, excellent location! One step from Opera Garnier, walking distance to Louvre museum and shopping area. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Close to Metro and RER. Definitely I'll come back here next time.
We stayed three nights at this lovely hotel situated within walking distance of the Louvre and many cafes, shops, and Metro stations. The staff were wonderful, rooms exceptionally clean and comfortable bed. Great restaurant on site and cafe for late night snacks or drinks. We would definitely stay again.
This is our second time staying here. It's unpretentious but good quality. Really helpful friendly staff and a good location. Breakfasts are good. A nice area to relax in after a day sightseeing. Lots of interesting restaurants nearby.
We had a really good experience here, it was so close to many of the sites you would want to see .Very clean and attentive staff and the breakfast was spot on to start the day. The laundry service was also very help full since we had been traveling a awhile.
My wife and I stay at L'Horset Opera every time we are in Paris; so far we have stayed there nine times since 2010. The location is ideal (within walking distance to just about everything), and the staff is fantastic; they have always made us feel like family. We love Paris, try to get there as often as possible, and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.
Great place and location. Family like staff. Just a good draft beer missing at the bar staffed by friendly and efficient barman. Reception, breakfast staff, all staff in general, makes this property looking like a home place abroad.
Very good location, 300 m from the Opera. Quit area. Reception stuff very helpfull and cooperative.Rooms are small but clean. Good breakfast buffet. Prices are reasonable for such central location. Good deal.
Booked for four nights while on 5 week holiday in Europe and found it very clean rooms not huge but well appointed. Staff very helpful , special mention tp Nono who was always ready with a smile and helpful advice.Close to the shopping near Opera e.g. Gallerie Lafayette etc. Breakfast a bit basic but what you get in Paris hotels.
we have stayed here before and love everything about it. has the feel of a boutique hotel; quiet side street with balcony and flowers; 2 blocks to the Garnier Opera House and 15 minute max walk to the Louvre and bridges to the left bank staff is among the best of 20 countries I have worked in and visited very nice rooms that are larger than you usually get in Europe
Highly recommend this hotel. Central location, very clean, continental breakfast was delicious, room service & housekeeping requests were fast, cosy boutique hotel with air conditioning in the rooms! But the customer service is what really stands out ! The ladies at the front desk and the barkeep were a central part of making our stay so wonderful. My daughter had broken her foot two days before we were to return to Canada. The ladies suggested we use the hotel wheelchair so she didn't have to miss out seeing the Mona Lisa. We were also able to use their crutches ! Without these aides, my daughter would've been bed ridden. When our Uber ride came to the hotel, one of the ladies came outside and showed us how to fold up the chair. Another of the ladies called ahead to an Italian restaurant to ask if I could order take out. They obliged and were so welcoming when I got there. Food was delicious too ! The ladies always greeted us whether we were coming or going, helped us learn some more French, and had beautiful smiles. The barkeep was also checking on how my daughter was doing. Lastly, there is a resident “ chat” , which is animal lovers enjoyed. Highly recommend this hotel - you won't be disappointed! Merci beaucoup from Canada.
The staff was really friendly and helpful during our stay. This story can also prove that. We booked a taxi via counter at a fixed rate - 57 euros but when we got airport and gave the driver 59 euros(including 2 euros tips), the driver asked 65 euros even though we double checked with him. After returned home we contacted this hotel, they immediately took action and returned us the difference for the taxi company. The staff made me feel they really treasures guests. Highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel staff have been absolutely wonderful! The room (108) is at the rear of the building and is super quiet! The main hallway can be noisey if other guests are letting their children run through the hall. Other than that, a pack n play was made available for our little boy with fresh linens and infant pillow. The location is central with ample food, shopping, close to the metro and RER Auber. A little light on consumables but happy to provide more if required. We have thouroughly enjoyed our stay!
This hotel has a very good location near the avenue d' Opera. Receptionists are friendly and most willing to provide advise. The hotel is well maintained. The rooms are tiny and they have a water cooker and some tea bags and instant coffee. Unfortunately those offerings are not consistently replaced. There is a small safe in the room but it is almost at floor level and difficult to access for people not that young anymore. The elevator is very slow but a great help specially because the stairs are not easy to manage. Breakfast ist not that good. It has every day the same offerings. It has Crêpes, and that is nice. It has also boiled eggs but during my stay they were ice cold as if they came from the refrigerator. Hotels around the world have pots to keep eggs warm and I wonder why this is not the case of L'Horset Opera. My overall conclusion is that this is a good three star hotel but I was expecting more because of the price and of it being a BW premier collection.
The room was nicely decorated. The air conditioning was very quiet and well needed. Sandra at the reception desk was particularly friendly and very helpfull. The shuttle service to the airport is very handy.
This hotel was recommended by a friend of a friend. We loved it. Excellent, friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms, small and cozy. Bar was available for a cocktail after walking around Paris all day, a brief respite before heading out to dinner. Nicely located very near Opera and Louvre. I highly recommend this hotel.
Following a two week tour of Morocco, my wife and I extended our trip with a four day stay in Paris at the Hotel L'Horset Opera. This is a relatively small boutique hotel in a very good location. It is within easy walking distance of many great Parisian attractions such as the Opera and the Louvre, and within easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the Big Bus Tours office among many other things. The hotel itself is located on a side street about two blocks from the famous Paris Opera. It is unassuming but very nice. Upon entry into the smallish lobby there is a bar to the left and a small lounge area to the right with the reception desk straight ahead. Be careful upon entry as there is a short step up to the entryway floor. My wife tripped and fell the first evening when we went into the hotel. The hotel staff were very concerned about her fall and helpful but my wife insisted that she was OK, just a bit embarrassed. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was small but well appointed with a very comfortable queen size bed. Our room was on the third floor and the exterior wall had a large drape that could cover the entire wall of windows. The closet was quite small and there really wasn't any good place to stash our suitcases. On the desk was a nice bronze statue. We didn't use the TV much at all but there were several English language news channels to choose from. The wi-fi worked well and seemed rather fast. There are two elevators and they are rather slow and make a rather funny noise while you wait for them to get to your floor, however, they work well and we seldom had a long wait during our four day stay. Everything we saw in the hotel was very clean and in good repair. There is a dining room located off the lobby where they only serve breakfast (18 Euros) for the buffet. It was quite good and they will also make omelets or other breakfast dishes for you upon request. While this is by no means a resort hotel and does not have resort style amenities, it is a very nice, clean and comfortable place to stay on your visit to Paris in a very good location and I recommend it.
Location is conveniently located near the Opera. Access to many attractions/shopping places by foot is very do-able. Check-in from very smooth - by a Japanese lady. Check-out was also very smooth - by a Chinese lady. Both very proficient in French, English and of course their native languages. We had to top floor which was great....away from the noise of the road below. Breakfast spread with good...almost a complete French cum English breakfast offering. Room size was adequate. Only grip was the room safe did not work. Will return.
We recently stayed for 6 nights at this charming hotel. The hotel is spotless, the staff if very helpful and friendly in every way. The decor is charming. If you are looking for a charming, friendly, clean, centrally located hotel at a reasonable price this is the place. The breakfast is OK, however there is a beautiful Starbucks around the corner That must be seen to believe. The hotel has coffee and tea facilities in the room. The louve is about a 10 min walk, shopping in the galleria is about a 5 min walk. There are cafe's of every type a minute or 2 walk out the door. The metro is about a 5 min walk. We were on the 6th floor overlooking the street. We had the window open the entire time and found it to be relatively quiet. The rooms are a your typical smaller Paris room ( but not cramped) but for a little more money you are able to get a larger room. The rooms are very well maintained and have updated bathrooms. We personally did not spend enough time in our room to upgrade. We loved the hotel and the staff.
Overall impression that the hotel is very dated. Nasty smell in the room, and there were several flies in my room when I came in. Heavy and ugly Asian-like curtain, charmless furniture, all looking very 90's. Unimpressive breakfast with industrial sausages in an unwelcoming breakfast room. Good mattress, though.
This quiet little hotel is on a street less than 5 minutes from the Paris Opera, with taxis busses and a Metro station all nearby. The street, like the hotel itself was quiet, with little to disturb the peace even on Friday or Saturday nights which suited us perfectly. Our room was a good size, comfortable with air conditoning and everything was kept spotlessly clean. One thing we particularly liked was the shower - it was fitted with an overhead "rainfall" type as well as a separate hand held unit. Neat! Breakfast in the dining room always gave plenty of choice, and it was possible to have dinner there as well - a feature that late arrivals found useful. The bar next to the dining room was well stocked with drinks and it had several comfortable armchairs to relax in after a hard day being a tourist. The staff were always very friendly and helpful and offered advice on places and things to do. We certainly will use this hotel again next time we come to Paris
I am so glad I booked this hotel and at the time I didn't even know how great it was! So easy to find, beautiful clean rooms with a gorgeous balcony, friendly staff what more could you want? oh yes, the fact that it is extremely central with the opera just around the corner and the lourve about 15 minutes away! The room wasn't expensive in comparison for where it is etc. Also as a cat person, the fact they have a hotel kitten might make this a little bias. If I had any notes at all I would just say that maybe bar/room service hours could be extended but thats it and at that, there are plenty of places you can go close to get a drink.
I felt like sweet home here during my five nights stay. I was impressed with good service and warmness of all staffs. location is good and easy access to move anywhere. I do appreciate the kindness of Ezabel and Sandra who helped me a lot everyday. My room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was nice. I had some particular choice for breakfast. I need to mention the name of very gentle and kind Sri Lankan guy, Fernando, who tried his best to serve my requested choice. Everyday I enjoyed my stay like a comfortable home. I am sure to stay here again.
This is a quaint hotel with exceptionally staff. The staff smiled all the time and were very helpful. The hotel is situated near two metro stations so very good for travelling around. We had a comfort room with a kingsized bed. Room spacious and clean although not many sockets. Kettle with tea & coffee provided which is unusual. Only disappointment was the window looked out at a wall. We ate in the bar the first night as we only wanted something light so 9 euros for an omelettte was good, However it was spoilt by a cat appearing who climed all over the furniture, bar and then us. Not good as I have a cat allergy. We therefore refused to eat any other meals atthe hotel. Plenty of coffee shops justaround the corner.
This was our second trip to Paris and in both cases we stayed in the Opera area because of its easy access to transportation and all things Paris. We were warmly welcomed and provided an excellent room. When we had questions, the front desk staff were happy to answer them and offer advise. I was asked recently where to stay by a good friend of mine and without hestitation, I encouraged him to stay at Hotel Horset Opera. From there you can easily go to the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Seine River Dinner Cruise, Louvre Museum, Orangerie Museum, Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe. You can also grab a metro and then a bus to Claude Monet's home and garden in Giverny...Go and have fun!
I must say that the service at hotel is very good, front reception have handled any questions and concerns very well Hotel does a nice breakfast and a nice bar on site Hotel is old but rooms nicely appointed Would stay here again Biggest plus is the location
Great hotel, perfect location, very clean and cosy room. On the smaller scale but definitely enough for a few days! Great service and the surroundings are ideal, a lot of amazing restaurants close by and shops to go to!
This was our third stay at this hotel, another nine nights to add to our previous fifteen. It is a great place to stay. We preferred the standard room with its more traditional bathroom fixtures. Breakfast is excellent and the reception staff couldn't be nicer and more helpful.
This little hotel is set within the city of Paris. Very convenient for walking, metro stations, bus lines and and shopping. The room was clean, well serviced and quiet. You can open the window to check out the external temperature before dressing for the day. All the staff were welcoming, friendly, spoke English and helped with plans. Thank you
This was our first trip to Paris and our travel agent booked us into this hotel as it was quite near a few places to visit. On arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming, we had a lovely room on the 3rd floor at the front fairly large and large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable we slept really well and very quiet. Breakfast was good a fair choice waiters a bit slow setting tables after someone has finished. Girls on reception all speak excellent English and will book tickets for you. We found everywhere we went staff on buses restaurants very friendly and helpful and spoke English as we only had a few words of French. Overall Paris in the area we visited clean and was impressed by how smart the French dress the ladies very chic.
The Horset is centrally located one block from the Opera House. The front desk people are very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are small but clean and quiet. It is moderately priced I didn't eat at the hotel. There are great restaurants in the neighborhood. Walk or metro to everything.
This hotel is a jewel in Paris. Ideally located, friendly, competent and courteous staff. I would highly recommend it if this is your first time to Paris. It is easy to walk to all those. Places which are must see.
Stayed here for six nights, fifth floor with a tiny balcony. Could open the double doors for fresh air! Very comfortable bed, quiet room and ok size room, considering we are in Paris. Bathroom one person only but good. Location is excellent being so close to shops, restaurants, Department stores, tuilleries etc etc. Staff helpful. Breakfast good. Would recommend.
Great area, central to everything, nice restaurants nearby, fabulous not so big room, bathroom ok , great bed, air con, fridge and wonderful balcony. Breakie great and lovely helpful staff, maybe a 5 star!
We are really enjoying our stay at the Hotel L'Horset Opera. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Our room is lovely and clean. Great location, close to the Opera House. We would definitely stay again.
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this wonderful little hotel was in Paris. My husband and I were visiting Paris to belatedly celebrate our 30th birthdays, and the Hotel L'Horset Opera was perfect for our needs. The location was fantastic being close to metro stations, lots of good restaurants, shopping, and was also within walking distance of the Louvre, Tuileries Garden, etc. Our room was actually a decent size for Paris standards and had a king bed, which was a plus. The bathroom was small and the toilet closet even tighter, but we weren't in Paris to spend all day in the hotel room, so it was totally fine with us. The elevator was super slow and tiny, but it wasn't a big issue for us since the hotel isn't large and wasn't crowded when we went in April. The front desk staff was nice enough, not overly warm but friendly and arranged a taxi for us when we needed one and also gifted us with a free drink from the bar for our birthdays. That was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again if we are able to go back to Paris one day.
The location is great! Close to several metro stations. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Rooms are very clean, with a balcony overlooking a nice street. Staff are friendly and very helpful, give good advises on restaurants.
Fantastic location, quiet as in side street. Room beautifully colour coordinated. Lovely a/c in warm weather. Comfy beds. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast tasty and good coffee. We would stay here again when visit Paris next time.
I was given a very small room. Not a problem as I didn't stay long. The bed was comfy with the right level of firmness. I think it was just right. No free water bottle in the room. I would expect that given the premium prices this hotel charges. The bathroom was very cramped. Not much room in the shower and the toilet seat right next to the wall giving just enough room to sit on. I ordered room service and got the salmon dish. It was plain, boring and overpriced. It came with vegetables and rice. The salmon itself was fine but the sides were slightly boring. The only issue was that it was delivered much later than what I was told. I basically waited a long time for a boring, bland meal. The reception was friendly and efficient and my taxi arrived on time. It's best to book it via reception the night before. Overall everything was ok. All things considered I will try a different hotel next time. Maybe a more modern one.
Such a feel good stay we were tempted to stay longer. Smaller rooms than we usually get but its old town Paris and the amenities and comfort was super. Great people and excellent breakfast for the money! Best Western folks so English is spoken.
I am SO glad I chose this hotel to stay during our trip to Paris. The rooms were not terribly small by US standards, but not huge either. Had all the standard appointments one needs. Elevator a bit slow. BUT Sandra was/is the very, absolute, without a doubt the best! She gave us excellent information, helped us set up tours, and suggested how, where and why we should plan our days. I could not have done any of it so smoothly without her. She is a true Gem! Housekeeping was good and attentive when I needed anything out of the ordinary or had a request. I felt safe there. The staff for the breakfast was very nice and helpful, very accommodating too. Sajith from the bar was very good to us as well. We appreciated everyone and their great service.
Quiet, clean and business ambience. In the city..ease of commute. Courteous staff who helped in finding good places to visit nearby. Good breakfast spread . Room size adequate with good housekeeping services.
This hotel was a great value for the money, the staff was friendly and very helpful, the room is clean and fit us comfortable- they helped track down our lost luggage and made sure it was in our room when we arrived back. Sandra and Nono were awesome and helped us along the way. The AC was perfect and we had a window view to the street. Close to shopping, metro, velbe's, Starbucks, and in the center of everything, the louve is a short walk. The bed was very comfortable and room was clean! This is a class act hotel and will stay here if we ever return, thank you for everything
Nice, pleasant, clean hotel. Good and convenient location and within short walking distance to the Louvre Museum and river. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very nice atmosphere. Breakfast is mainly continental with a good variety.
We picked this hotel because it is just seven minutes from the Garnier Opera House. The obvious reason was that we booked a guided tour to the opera as well as a modern ballet performance. We can really recommend this. The hotel is very quiet even if it just two minutes from the very busy Avenue del Opera. The house is more than one hundred years old as most buildings in central Paris thank god. It must be from the Hausman time. He is the man who changed all of Paris in the second part of the nineteen century. It is a small hotel with a nice little lobby and two lifts to the six stores which is quite enough. Our room is very nicely decorated and so is the furniture. And our bed is not so hard it normally is in Paris. The bathroom is also nice however, it has not a shower but a bathtub with very high sides which was almost too high for my wife to climb over due to her knee problem. We always prefer a shower. The breakfast is good for a small Parisian hotel. However, the teas are made of standard tea bags and hot water in a thermos which means that the water often is not hot enough. And the egg cooker was not in function most of the time. The staff is friendly and helpful with one clear exception. One lady in the reception did not want to help me just to avoid some inconvenience for herself even if she must have realised that which meant problem for me. The story is that we had attended the Moulin Rouge show that start with a dinner. One of the staff lost his tray and some food landed om my jacket. I got a business card from the headwaiter that said that the hotel could charge them for the dry cleaning of my jacket. The hotel suggested that I still should pay them and then try to get the money back from the Moulin Rouge after I had got home to my country. A fat chance I would get any money that way! Then I said I refused to pay them she contacted Moulin Rouge and solved it. That tells you again that you must be firm and claim your right. However, this is just one exception and will not stand in the way of recommending this hotel.
We stayed here for a week and it was wonderful - a charming hotel with very helpful staff, and close to the Opera (and therefore easy to get everywhere in Paris). The room was delightful and restful, and they have a large buffet breakfast to give you the energy to get out there and see the city. Highly recommended - it will be our first choice for the next time we go!
L'Horset Opera is set on a fairly quiet side street about 2 blocks from the Opera house. Galeries Lafayette, the Louvre, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees are all walking distance. We visited all the sites without having to take the metro or a cab. The hotel itself is small, but has all the basic services you could ask for. There is a small bar/snack area which has a limited menu, but enough that you can satisfy yourself if you just want a light meal. They also have a breakfast buffet available for an extra charge depending on how you book your room. The staff are wonderful, they can give you directions, help you with transportation, and exchange money (without a service charge). They lent me a converter for my entire stay so I could use my electronics, and are basically very helpful and friendly. We had a king size bed in our room, which was a good size, along with a desk, side chair, and a bench. The bed was very comfortable with clean linens. The room also comes with an electric kettle with coffee and tea available (which the staff will refill anytime you ask). The building is old and the hallways smell like it's an old building (it has a Haunted Mansion type vibe), which it is, but it isn't unpleasant at all and the rooms are all up-to-date, each with different decor and are clean and fresh, so the age smell is only in the hallway. I've been to Paris before and found this hotel to be my favorite so far. The rooms are a decent size for Paris and we had no problems with the size or any of the amenities in the room.
We chose this hotel after reading preview reviews, as we wanted a quiet but central location at reasonable prices and satisfied in all 3 counts. Stylish Hotel and very pleasant and helpful Staff. Within easy walking distance to many attractions or near local transport. We got a meal deal when booking for only 2 euros extra each per day for breakfast included (normally £16 euros each) and I would defiantly recommend if you are offered the same deal. Breakfast available until 10.30am. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was due to the room being very hot overnight and unable to control the temperature from the room.
This hotel is literally in the middle of the best parts of the city. Everything you want to see; whether it's the typical highlights Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Notre Dame, Galleries Lafayette or general walking, many restaurants, brasseries are within 5-10 minutes. It is located right before the Paris Opera but still on a quiet street. The hotel itself is amazing, especially for Paris. The rooms are spacious including the bathrooms. Very comfortable bed, elegant furnishings. From the moment you enter, it feels calming, welcoming and cozy. The staff is remarkably friendly and helpful. The price , especially considering the location is unbeatable and very very reasonable. WiFi is fast and free and it actually works very well without dropping off. Highly highly recommend this hotel for an amazing and comfortable stay.
We stayed for 7 days and we loved it. The hotel is hidden in a small St which helps with the noise reduction from the main road and It's walking distance from many attractions. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The front desk staff guided us through the different attractions and provided excellent service. They helped us book attractions as well and followed up to ensure we were taken care off. The rooms are clean and quaint.
My plan to spend one Christmas in Paris indeed materialized the year 2017. My overall experience of Paris was what I expected! Dinner at the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower I highly recommend. The Christmas Dinner Show of the moulin rouge is a must. Overall Food experience in Paris were awesome.
We stayed for four days. The hotel location, near the Opera, is great, lots of restaurants and pubs. The room is ok, I think it should be better, for a 4 stars hotel. The internet connection is bad to useless. The stuff is very friendly, fluent in English.
Think it was our 4th visit here as they've never let us down. Not much more I can say other than keep up the good work! Friendly, clean, conveniently located hotel, really good option for the price around Opéra Garnier.
My grown children and I have just returned from Paris and stayed at the Hotel L'Horset Opera. I looked and read reviews ad nauseum. I chose this hotel from some of the reviews and am VERY glad I did. First let me tell you, that Sandra at the reception is phenomenal!!!! She was such a incredible wealth of information, kind, always helpful and very personable and professional. She helped me organize all the activities we did not take care of before we left and I could not have organized as well as Sandra. Sajiht in the bar, another TRUE GEM! Like Sandra, so warm, friendly, kind, helpful, generous soul who did all he could to help us. Sajiht maintained his incredible professionalism throughout, and at the same time, was very personable. BOTH Sandra and Sajiht are some AMAZINGLY wonderful individuals who will and are exceptionally helpful during your stay at Hotel L'Horset Opera. Another mention to be sure is Fernando who works the morning breakfast in the hotel. He was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed seeing his smile in the mornings! The rooms, like most in Europe are a tad small by our standards, but were not too small. I was able to move around fine. (I'm used to spreading out a bit when I arrive at a hotel). I found all amenities totally acceptable. Room was kept tidied by the hotel cleaning staff and I did not feel as if I was being pushed to get out of the room for the day for the cleaning staff to take care of my room. When I needed anything extra like bath gel or extra towels, there was never a problem and my needs were taken care of in a timely fashion and with a smile. The hotel is on a quieter side street just off one of the main veins, Avenue de L'Opera. Very good location. Warm, friendly, safer area in Paris, some of the cleanest areas we found. I would have no hesitation to stay here again at all and am giving this 5 star rating. Wonderful place. THANK YOU Sandra, Sajiht and Fernando. You guys made our trip really special, memorable and wonderful! Love to you all!
This hotel located in a very good location in paris close to everywhere. Opera is a few minutes walk and louvre is also very close to the hotel. Also u can use the subway whoch is very close to the hotel... The price is good rooms are bog enough in paris standarts...
This is a lovely hotel. It has the warm atmosphere of a traditional Parisien hotel and is typically bijou in size. The rooms are cosy and nicely furnished. Our bed was extremely comfortable and totally soundproof - we didn't hear a thing from anywhere at any time. The lifts are very small and not suitable for wheelchairs, but we were told they are being replaced in October 2017. There is a nice lounge, a bar, where you can order hot and cold snacks at any time, and a small breakfast restaurant that serves a continental breakfast. The staff are friendly and very helpful if you need to book anything or need advice. It is within spitting distance of the Opera House and 10 mins walk to the Louvre. There are many good cafe's and restaurants to choose from, but the Cafe de La Paix on the corner of Rue De Madeleine and Opera is particularly outstanding - truly worth a visit. I would totally recommend this hotel for it's mid-range price, comfort and location. Beware of the 'City Taxes' that are applied when leaving. We had no idea about this extra payment, but apparently is charged in all Paris accommodations.
This was our 2nd visit and stay, We love the location very close with everything especially opera and louvre. We are a couple with 3 large luggage - it was a small room but manageable. We also like that the location is know to be little Tokyo with lots of delicious Japanese and Korean restaurants - must try! Clean, comfortable - can get 5 star if they had a better Wifi which were snail speed and unstable.
Hotel Horset Opera is a medium sized hotel excellently situated in a quiet street, Rue d'Antin, just off one of Paris' main thoroughfares in the Opera district, Avenue de l'Opera. Our rooms on the sixth floor (there are two lifts) whilst not large were perfectly adequate for our needs - well furnished, well equipped, nicely presented and extremely clean. The public areas on the ground floor (a comfortable lounge, a small bar - which provides meals - and a breakfast room) were similarly well furnished and cared for. All the staff we met were pleasant and helpful - Sandra on Reception was particularly good with advice about travel, places to visit and places to eat. Breakfast were buffet style with a good choice of hot and cold items. We travelled by Eurostar and its terminal at Gare du Nord is approx. 25 minutes by taxi. The hotel is well situated for public transport. There are several Metro stations nearby and several bus routes seem to pass down the Avenue de l'Opera. The Big Bus Company (hop on, hop off; tickets for tours and boat trip on Seine available at the hotel) has its Information Centre and Stop 4 on the Avenue about 10 mins. from the hotel. The Louvre (15 mins.), Champs Elysees (a little longer) and the Opera Garnier (5 mins.) are accessible on foot. Near the Opera House is Galeries Lafayette, a high end shopping venue with amazingly decorated internal galleries, a domed roof and a viewing area on the seventh floor which provides a fantastic panorama of Paris. The Avenue de l'Opera has a good range of shops and there is a convenience store in an adjacent street to the hotel. During our three night stay we ate at Gambino (twice), an Italian restaurant on Rue Gomboust (5-10 mins. from Horset, diagonally across the Avenue) and Le Royal Opera (again 5-10 mins. on the Avenue). Both are mid range and thoroughly recommended - good food, excellent service and pleasant surroundings. We recommend Hotel Horset Opera for all the above reasons and we would have no hesitation about staying there on any future visits to Paris.
Upon arrival the staff is very friendly. The rooms a big and clean and located in a quiet street view. Perfect bathroom with separate toilet Very nice breakfast with a lot of choice Great location What more to say
Lovely decor, spacious room, tea facilities, central location - these factors made our choice and everything met our expectations. I'd rank sleeping quality as excellent: comfortable bed, soft pillows, quiet enough - ours was on top floor. The receptionists are courteous and helpful. They helped with booking an excursion to Giverny, printing boarding passes, etc. Recommend!
I'm a very picky traveller so I'll explain. We stayed 4 nights (5 days). Room: 10! Super comfortable, air condition works perfect even on the top floors, bed is super comfortable, we got great night sleep every night, curtains make the room totally dark, isolation from other rooms is absolutely perfect no noises what so ever. Cleanliness: 10. Room service left our room spotless after a lot of mess, corridors, loby, super clean! Breakfast: 7, our only point for improvement. The waiter was not kind to us, he is every day there so no way to avoid him. We simply asked very kindly for a cappuccino and it made him very upset (possibly because we could have had caffe au lait with Nespresso and he seemed to believe it's good enough). Furthermore, personally I didn't find the breakfast very tasty, the crepes were served cold, the scrambled eggs weren't real eggs and not 100% hard. It was nice however that they have a table of allergies for every piece in breakfast see picture. Loby and reception: 10!! Service was absolutely great, we were given the room way earlier than expected, everyone spoke english, no waiting line and they even offer to book travel services for you that enrich the visit. The loby is equipped with a few cute board games, in French and in English. Location: 10! Price: we paid a bit over 100 euros on the first week of August (booked 2 months in advance).
Very good location, very friendly and helpful staff! Thank you all at the reception and the restaurant and the entire hotel! Really had a good time there! Very close to everything and will go back again!
We first stayed at this Best Western L'Horset Opera Hotel about a dozen years ago. It was somewhat dated and had typically tight French rooms (meaning you had just enough room to squeeze around the bed in the bedroom). The bathroom was similarly tight. But the whole package was still charmingly French. And a good value. So when the opportunity came to stay there again, we did. Upon arrival we were efficiently greeted by "Sandra" and she said we would enjoy room 403, even though it was not on one of the top floors. She asked if we would like her to arrange any tours or restaurants. I said we would really like to take a Seine River Dinner Cruise and she immediately responded that she knew of one that was certain to please. When I balked at the higher-priced one she was recommending, she assured me that since she had been on several and that I would be very pleased and find it a great value. She said she could book it for me and arrange a cab for convenient pickup if I would like. I jumped at her kind offer. After a long day getting off a cruise ship in Dover, transferring to London, and taking the Chunnel to Paris ... we were tired. It was SO nice to have someone who we thought was only a hotel front desk clerk do so many things for us. As our stay continued I found Sandra to be more of a Concierge than any other hotel Concierge I had ever met. Sandra was dead on regarding the room. Not huge but bigger than the one we had stayed in years earlier. And both the room and the bathroom had been significantly upgraded and remodeled. Very comfortable. clean and a great value ... especially for Paris. The Seine River Dinner Cruise she arranged for us was not cheap but extremely enjoyable and, I must say, another great value. As we were leaving the hotel the next morning, Sandra was again at the front desk. She asked if there was anything we wanted or she could do for us. We asked where the Hop On Hop Off bus picked up. She responded there were several different companies that offered them and asked where we wanted to visit and for how many days of hopping on and hopping off. Given our response, she suggested the Big Bus tour. While I had never used that one, she said that for our interests it would most likely be most to our liking. Again, she was spot on. On our way into the hotel-provided breakfast, I asked Sandra if she could confirm our limo back the the Orly airport on our final day. Sandra siad it was no problem. I gave her the contact and voucher info and while we enjoyed a very nice and convenient breakfast she took care of it. Her French was much better than mine. In fact, everyone at the L'Horset Opera Hotel were both delightful and almost as helpful as Sandra. And the hotel is located fairly close to Gare du Nord train station if you want to take it outside the city. The room was both clean and quiet. It was not as large as most Americans are accustomed to, but it is larger than what one might typically expect from a traditional French hotel. The convenience breakfast was a serve-yourself affair and you dine on nice cloth-covered tables, not bleak plain ones. Attractive and comfortable, they were actually quite elegant. Among other beverages (orange and apple juice or tea), Nespresso Coffee was standard. As one who became hooked on Nespresso a couple years ago, it also was a nice upgrade. Croissants, cheeses, scrambled eggs and ham were abundantly served ... all included in our hotel price. The tight, creaky elevators were still there. I liked their charm. The hotel also has an intimate bar. And the bar tender is always available for ice and/or adult beverages. While we did not use it, a nice sitting area in addition to that in the bar was inviting. Overall, while I was delighted with all of the upgrades and remodeling the hotel had done since our last visit, I was even more impressed with the Boutique-like Concierge services that was far beyond expectations ... but was a pleasant surprise at the L'Horset Opera Hotel. Relatively convenient to the Louvre. Gard du Nord, and just far enough away from the main streets so as to provide quiet for a good night's sleep, you will enjoy this special place of French charm and warm service.
Room was perfectly comfortable and rather elegant. Service was always efficient and courteous. Breakfast was more 3 star than 4. Limited choice. Room service was very punctual but quality again not 4 star.
We have been this hotel for third time in past 3 years. We always feel very warm as they provide excellent services. The hotel is located quiet street where is very convenient to walk from Opera and Louvre for only 5-7 minutes. The breakfast is delicious. This hotel is good choice for travelers.
We stayed a week here in this lovely and reasonably priced hotel. Hotel is just a few blocks from Opera metro station and a few bus stops, making it easy to access any part of the city or suburbs. Hotel rooms are clean, comfortable, and we'll maintained. WI FI is a bit sketchy but they are in process of upgrading. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff is helpful and courteous. Highly recommend.
What a hidden gem, this hotel is in a lovely location and we would highly recommend and would visit agin! We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary and from start to finish the service was great! Fast, speedy check in and were had complimentary champagne and macaroons delivered to our room after check in. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel was so quiet during the night! Breakfast was good, the waffles were amazing :-) we will definitely return. Thank you!
Excellent hotel in heart of Paris, 2nd arrondissement. Good service with very friendly staff. Breakfast room always well catered and staffed. Close to all major shopping destinations in Paris - Galleries Lafayette and Printemps. Also close to very good restaurants and bistros.
this hotel is very cleAn, services aRe perfect. Rooms are very quiet, clean and beautiful. On the other hand, it is very well located and the neighborhood is one of the in Paris. The ratio quality price is fear. In sum absolutely enjoyed and recomendable!!
Service at front desk and room was very good, helpful and friendly. Extra bed sheet provided immediately upon request. Room was small but fine and had a king size bed. Bathroom was well appointed. I would have preferred shower only, but bath + shower was fine.. Breakfast included was better than expected. Full bar service was also a nice touch. Hotel is very near Opera, thus convenient to all of downtown Paris. Internet in hotel excellent. Elevator tight but ok. There must be smoking rooms because occassionally one can smell smoke in lobby, resto & elevator
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights between 19th - 23rd March 2017. We didn't arrive at the hotel to check in until 11pm but this was not a problem. We were extremely impressed with the hotel as soon as we arrived at reception and check in was made really easy by the receptionist - we even got a voucher for 2 free drinks at the bar as they knew it was our honeymoon! Our room was on the 6th floor - 607. The decor was very classy, the corridors looked lovely and there are 2 lifts available so you can get up and down with ease. The room was really nicely decorated, met all our requirements and more. We had a nice enough view from our window of some lovely buildings across from us. I notice people commenting on the size of the rooms - they're not big but we thought it was a perfect size for our stay. Pretty modern but hasn't lost its French charm. We never tried the buffet breakfast but it looked great from the outside. We found a local cafe each morning for either a French or English breakfast. Hotel abd room extremely clean and tidy - definitely a big plus for any hotel! Only 5 mins from Quatre - September or Opera metro which easily gets you anywhere you wish to go in Paris, even Gard du Nord so you can travel to and from the airport. Opera is an absolutely lovely area to stay in - definitely would return to this area and hotel! Wonderful honeymoon stay - Highly recommended!
L'Horset Opera hotel is handy for the Paris Opera and the Louvre, and is a brisk half-hour walk from Champs Elysees. I would describe the hotel as traditionally decorated rather than modern, and it retains a quaint charm. My room was small with no view from the window, but was comfortable with all required amenities. Good continental breakfast served in the small breakfast room on the ground floor.
This is a great little hotel that is centrally located in Paris. Minutes from metro or bus stop allowing quick access to all of Paris. Typical smaller rooms, but we'll decorated and clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent (great coffee!). Room service available and reasonable. Nice bar and lounge area. Staff was excellent and extremely helpful and accommodating, allowing us to do an early check in. Loved this hotel and would definitely reccomend.
Awesome hotel near Opera with well decorated rooms (small size but perfect for one person). Nice French breakfast, and cozy bar and lobby. At few minutes walk to Opera. Also perfect for morning run to L'ouvres and Effel tower (9km run).
The hotel was excellent. The room was on the top storey and was very quiet and well appointed. The location was great as we wanted to visit the Opera area. The breakfast was above the usual continental and offered scrambled egg and sausages each morning, The location was the best factor after comfort. Only minutes from restaurants, metro, buses, the Opera and Galleries Lafayette.
I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in July 2016 with my partner. Check in was easy and straight forward. The room was clean and tidy, however it was very small and compact. It is located close to metro and bus stops so it was easy to get around. Would recommend.
The room was very small but nicely decorated and clean. I would say 3 stars at most. The staff was as friendly as others in France. I feel it was overpriced. The location was a good walking distance to most places except food and Lafayette Galleria shopping.
We had a confort double room, a bit small but cosy really confortable. Heating was good and efficient. Bathroom is small and aeration insufficient. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet.
Our second stay at this hotel, perfectly located for a short break in Paris, within approximately 30 minutes walk of most major locations. Rooms are on the small side, but comfy, beds are very comfortable, and bathroom good. Inclusive self-serve breakfast is good option, Staff very helpful and friendly, we would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here when it was under the Best Western brand in 2014. We loved the location as it was walking distance to quite a lot of places and near the Metro. We were surprised that this hotel was regarded as a 4 star given how large the rooms and bathrooms were. In addition, it was very classically designed, very clean and more importantly, quite and tranquil. We suspect its because it doesn't offer any facilities. We booked late and so they only had the courtyard facing room, which was perfect as you didn't hear the traffic but was able to hear the small fountain on the ground floor. The reception was very small but there was always someone there to help you with your travel plans. The breakfast was superb. There was no hot food but you do get a nice spread consisting of cold cuts, cheese, pastries, toasts, boiled eggs, cereals and of course, hot beverages. It was served near the reception at a small corner. We couldn't fault the place and highly recommend it. Finally, very convenient to travel to/from the airport.
This was my second time in Paris and it didn't disappoint! This hotel has friendly/helpful staff that speak English well. The was so cute, small but did the job and was clean and nice. Great location for restaurants and hopping on the metro for sightseeing. Highly recommend.
An excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Although the information indicted that there was no restaurant food was available in the bar.It location is excellent and allowed us to walk to the Louvre and Gardens, Galleries Lafayette, Place de Concord and a along the Champs Elyse. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Room staff were very friendly. We flet very comfortable there.I think all the rooms are fine. Booking through a Low cost web site however can get you a nice room but it will probably be at the back with no street view.booking direct could get you a slightly bigger room with a small balcony and street view.
This is our 2nd visit to Paris, (we honeymooned here 10 years ago), and we love how close this hotel is to most everything urban. Our " Superior" room is a bit small, but comfortable and quiet. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and our room is clean. While there is nothing luxurious about this hotel, we appreciate our stay and recommend it to those needing a nice room for sleeping and then off to explore this amazing city.
Despite some minor issues, this a good choice as a business hotel very close to Opera and Place Vendome. It's one of the few hotels that has pillows that actually support your neck (would.love to know the brand but there were no labels). Rooms are air conditioned, clean and comfortable. Lots of options for eating and tourism close by. Staff are helpful. Overall recommend.
In a great location to enjoy the best Paris has to offer. Rooms are comfortable and have tea and coffee making facilities-always a good sign. We were on the sixth floor and did not have the usual noises of early mornings in Paris. Breakfast was good and the hotel staff very friendly. We enjoyed our visit!
Our room 502 was small but tastefully decorated with a wonderful Paris street view. Very helpful front desk staff and a delicious breakfast buffet. Located near a quaint corner and only a block from the, spectacular Palais Garnier Opera and easy metro and bus travel. Wonderful Patisserie nearby and many sidewalk cafes.
This hotel is close to all transport and central to most must sees in Paris. Helpful staff and a nice and clean hotel. Restaurants and bars are plentiful around this area. There are also many shops for anything you may want. Overall a pleasant place to stay with very helpful staff. Would stay there again.
Two minutes walk from the "Opera" metro stop. Ten minutes walk from the Louvre, Tuilleriies and Rue de Rivoli. A great "centre of operations" for a stay in Paris. The rooms are very comfortable, with excellent air-conditioning and sound-proofing. The lounge and bar are equally welcoming, as is the breakfast room (and the breakfast). The staff give this hotel an "excellent" rating rather than just "good". Very helpful, patient with my dodgy French, and fluent in English. Two tips: that breakfast is excellent value at 16€ - compared with prices in the area. And the room safe operates using your credit card (no money is taken) - not your room key.
The hotel is close to major shops, attractions, cafe's, restaurants and bars. Also buses are nearby and run often. Also has free wifi, safe, and tea and coffee facilities in the room. I would also like to say the staff were lovely.
The hotel is right near the Opera and close to all the big shopping stores. The rooms are okay by Paris standards and are provided with tea /coffee making facilities. The hotel and rooms are well maintained. The staff is very helpful and assisted us in locating a Church for Sunday mass. The breakfast is good. The hotel has a room service menu and a small bar/lounge although i didn't try either of them. The hotel also arranges for airport shuttles. All in all a pleasant place and very helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again
Perfectly located for sightseeing – the hotel is just 10 minutes walk from the Louvre, with other attractions easily reached on foot or by the metro system. The hotel itself was comfortable with friendly staff. We would certainly be happy to stay again in the future.
Everything is well in order in this ideally located hotel. The real gem is the staff. I stayed only 1 night but I really felt that they go beyond their ways to make your stay perfect. So thank you! On the negative side, let's say the rooms have a specific taste. And i had a problem with the cord of the kettle, much too short to plug anywhere near its inital location. But appart from the gymnastic to find a proper plug, everything was fine, I had a very good night. I would definitely go back to this hotel.
Quaint boutique hotel with excellent service and very authentic. The breakfast was delicious and provided excellent specialties. Fernando can hook you with a delicious fresh smoothie. Would happily stay here again. The hotel was centrally located in Paris.
We Partner & I stayed here in l'horse for 4 nights this week while at European championships. It was perfectly facilitated for our stay. Breakfast was above par for Paris. With room & engine being impeccable which is standard for this hotel. Enjoy if and when you stay the.
This hotel surprised me with their level of staff training and competence in handling a complex European issue of staying with a baby in a posh hotel. All those unhappy moaners were moved to different rooms so our little one wouldn't get on their nerves - very quickly and professionally. The room was pretty samll for the three of us, however the room was clean and the staff arranged and nicely done portable cot but with all the baby bedding in it - never seen that before - well done! Parisian style wallpapers in the room give it a sweet local touch and help you get in the mood and feel the city vibe. The location and breakfast are excellent. Keep it up!
great location , 50 mts from avenue , friendly staff, great breakfast bathrooms are nice but small, rooms not looking the street have a bit bigger bathroom nice living area in case you have to wait or leave the hotel early due to flight
Date of stay 30/05/16-02/06/16. Room 402. First the staff here were wonderful. The airline we used lost our luggage and the hotel reception contacted the airline and told us when our bags should arrive. They even put it into the room for us. They were wonderful and very helpful for all our questions about transport around Paris during the strikes. Second the hotel was wonderfully located 5/10 mins away from the Metro and airport bus stop. There are plenty of shops/cafes and restaurants surrounding the hotel. We had a room with two single beds. The room was small but then we were there to rest and sleep and not hold a party in the room. All areas of the hotel we visited were clean and tidy. The room service never let us down. The hotel is located off the main road in a small side street. I sleep with the windows open and the sound of the traffic did not stop us from sleeping. The breakfast for two of us was 32 Euros. I think it was worth it because it was there and ready and you were guaranteed a seat, especially in the rain. The hotel and especially the staff more than made up for the lost luggage the rain and the strikes. I will not stay in any other hotel than this one in Paris. I could not get the safe in the room to work-but I was too shy to ask for help. That's the only thing that went wrong from the hotel. I thank your staff for our wonderful stay.
Having 3 kids along, I chose a hotel that's accessible to the sights and one that is near malls and restaurants as well. And L'horset didn't fail. We got a connecting room for my family of 5. The rooms are perfect for us, not small. My kids don't wake up early for the breakfast but they do bring up the food to the room by request. There are restaurants along the street of the hotel. Galeries Lafayette and Printemps are a few blocks away. You can see Palais Garnier at the corner. And The Louvre is also accessible by walking. ??
We enjoyed our 3 nights here recently. This hotel is in such a great place for getting to things: either via one of the local metro stations, or short taxi rides. The room wasn't huge but clean, plenty big enough, and the recently renovated bathroom had a great shower over the tub. Air con was turned on in the hotel once the weather got warm enough; before that, we just opened the doors to the balcony, which seemed safe to leave open overnight (on 2nd floor european/3rd floor US). Being on a side street, traffic noise was not a problem. Beds: firm and comfortable. The desk staff were very helpful throughout. Our booking did not include breakfast, which is pricey at Eu16 per person if all you want is coffee and something small; but we found several good options within 5 min. walk for breakfast omelets or yogurt and coffee. The desk booked us a shuttle to the airport at Eu18 per head which was great value and saved us wear and tear on already-tired feet. We definitely would use this hotel again.
30min walk from the Gare de Nord train station that the Eurostar arrives into. Nice clean hotel. Perfect location for venturing out on foot to see the sights of Paris. Very reasonable rate considering how close everything is. Staff were great, room nice and clean
Great hotel in a nice area of Paris. 5 min walk from the Roissy bus (goes to/from CDG airport for €11 each way). Spacious room, comfy bed though pillows really squidgy soft. Fast reliable wifi. All staff were helpful and friendly. Check in not til 2 but my room was ready when I got there at half 12. Only downside was no air con or heating. Luckily the weather was mild but had to crack the windows open. Plenty of plug sockets. I'll definitely stay here again if I come back to Paris!
We had an excellent stay in this quaint hotel off the Avenue de l'Opera. The accommodations were sufficient and comfortable. The hotel is in walking distance to great shopping and all of the major sites. Our stay included breakfast buffet that was convenient, adequate and stocked with a variety of foods. We cannot say enough about the front desk staff; as they were most helpful with directions, recommendations of local places to dine, assisting with tickets and arranging transportation as needed. Their help was invaluable and made our stay most pleasant. We stayed four nights during our European vacation, March of 2016. We would highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed here for 4 nights during our Europe holiday and was pleasantly surprised with our very spacious room and it's fittings. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Opera area.
Stayed here with my 11 year old daughter during her first trip to Paris and it really was the perfect location. Right in the heart of the Opera District this hotel was brilliantly located to show her all the sights of this wonderful city. There are a few nice restaurants in the area.
Located in a small road off the Avenue de l'Opera, the hotel is well located, near offices, shops and restaurants. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and pleasant, with the small size being in line with the typical Parisian standards. Flat screen TV with reasonable channels.Tiny elevator. Breakfast buffet is adequate but not elaborate. The front office is cheerful and helpful, making the hotel worth a return visit.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate her Birthday. Location was very good (between Opera and Louvre), and the room (5th floor) was quiet, clean, tastefully decorated, etc and had a very comfy bed Staff were lovely and they have two smallish but comfortable public rooms downstairs (a bar and a lounge) which were both comfortable and with a range of games, magazines, etc. Plenty of restaurants nearby ( including many Japanese/Sushi) Would definitely go back and thoroughly recommend
I love this place and the location. I would stay here again if I went to Paris. The rooms were so quiet and comfy and classy. The service is good. Breakfast is decent. The price is a great value. The location is close to the opera and to the Printemps and Gallerie de Lafayette for shopping. I just adored the feel of this hotel. The only negative is the number of smokers who congregate in the cafe's by this hotel. This is not a reflection on the hotel but of my experience in Paris.
We found this lovely quiet hotel a gem.Our very comfortable room and bath/shower facilities were compact but bore evidence of a recent stylish upgrade to rival any larger establishment. The staff very friendly and helpful and the downstairs lounge and bar area very welcoming after a long day sightseeing. Location excellent, would definitely recommend.
A friend who travels extensively recommended this hotel to me. Upon arrival I was a bit surprised about the small size of the hotel and the very small size of my room. I was used to staying in newer hotels where rooms were much larger. The room I had was smaller than most rooms in the hotel but had a window on the main street. I really didn't mind the room size because I was traveling alone. The hotel staff were extraordinarily helpful and kind in providing me directions and making me feel very welcome. The hotel has a small very old elevator which to me adds to the hotel's charm. The owner was also on property and was very kind. The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions including the Louvre and the Opera House, among others. Nearby restaurants and coffee shops abound. You can rent a bike right outside the door or catch the public transportation which is nearby. The breakfast was continental style but was sufficient for me on most days. (I stayed nine nights). I believe most the rooms, if not all, have been recently remodeled. I would stay at this hotel again!
I stay at this hotel regularly when visiting Paris for business. This hotel is in a great location, ideal for shopping and dining and with a great access to public transport (metro and her are only a couple of minutes walk away). the rooms are fine even though some are smaller than others. The breakfast buffet is basic but enough for me (I am ok with a light continental breakfast). The only downside is that there is no restaurant in the hotel so only basic food is available however a lot of good restaurant are in close proximity. The staff is nice and helpful. i do recommend this hotel.
I can find nothing negative to say about this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to offer assistance. We purchased tickets, made cab reservations, asked for directions and each time the staff was more than willing to offer assistance. The location was perfect, less than three minutes from the Palais Garnier and perhaps a 10 minute walk to the Louvre museum. In addition, access to the metro, cab stands or the bus line was all within a couple of minutes.
We have stayed at l'Horset Opera a few times now and have been very happy with the experiences. The location could not be better--close to the Opera, shopping, and metro, but very quiet. We usually get a front room on the street and don't hear a thing. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. On a previous visit we had some very complicated restaurant reservation requests and they took care with each detail. The hotel is nicely decorated and very clean. The rooms can be small--but it's Paris, so that is not unusual. Breakfast is very good. We highly recommend this little gem, which provides great value for money.
A great hotel tucked away on a little side street. A 2 minute walk to Opera Garnier and a 15 minute walk to the Louvre. I found this hotel to be clean and well presented, quiet and was centrally located. There is a convenience store 5 minutes away where you can buy milk and bread if you need to. I pled for the breakfast - not hot, but perfectly fine for summer with a reasonable selection in a nice dining room. It was my first time in Paris and I was travelling alone. This hotel was perfect for me and I could get around easily and I felt safe. The staff were helpful and unobtrusive when not required. The rooms were small ( which ones aren't in Paris?) but very clean and serviced daily. I would happily stay here again for the convenience of location and cleanliness.
My wife and I stayed there for 5 nights during Christmas 2015. We loved everything about this hotel. The room was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The hotel is placed very conveniently on a quiet sidestreet very close to the Opera with easy access to the metro system and an easy walk to a lot of main attractions and restaurants. Professional, welcoming and friendly staff. Good choice of breakfast.
My husband and I stayed this past week. The hotel is located a few minutes from two metro stops, the Opera house and Galeria Laffayette. It is a very quite hotel. The rooms are clean and the bed is very comfy. The rooms are average size with a good size bathroom. I would highly recommended this hotel due to price, location and service.
So near to all the local (couldn't afford), designer shops, jewellers, bullion/coin dealers and high fashion shops. 2 Stops on the Metro in the other direction was the normal HIGH Street shops found all around the UK. Restaurants and Coffee Shops every 50 yards. Traffic Crossings were great and it was a lovely area to soak up being in a wonderful City. Hotel and room was quite small and compact, but just off a Main Boulevard close to The Opera Building. Quiet at night, but close to some very nice eating places. Suited us fine. All, except ONE of the Staff were very nice, spoke English, gave us extra tea, coffee & milk, a charger for our Mobile, and on leaving sorted out a Breakfast, as our UK clocks were "an hour behind" the deadline.
We had spent nine nights here last year, and returned for another six. This is really a lovely place to stay, convenient to transportation and restaurants and walkable to many museums and shops. Our room was excellent, as was breakfast, the reception staff very helpful, everything fine.
room is cozy and clean. staff are great and helpful. breakfast is quite good. Location is excellent! you can even walk to most must-visit points. Lafayette and Spring is just 3 minutes walk and so as the metro station
I took a room on the fifth floor on the street side for ten days ending on the morning of November 14th of this year. The room was very comfortable and quiet, except for the police sirens on the 13th. Breakfast was good and not expensive for the location. The location was great. Service in the hotel was exceptional. The Concierge Isabelle was extremely helpful and when she was not available the rest of the staff also proved to be excellent. I will go back to this hotel and recommend it to anyone. If you have a question Isabelle can help; get you a reservation or anything else.
The hotel is a boutique hotel. Location is good. It was close to my office. It is close to tourist spots as well. The staff is helpful. Good hospitality. The rooms however are really small. My room was very warm at all times and I was unable to lower the temperature to cool my room. The lift is old and makes noise. The breakfast provided is basic and simple. All in all a nice simple place.
We stayed here 3 nights. The small hotel is located on a quiet street. It's a 5 minute walk to the Opera Metro station and about 15 minute walk to Tuileries Garden. There are many restaurants, shops and currency exchange places around the hotel. The hotel room was a little tight for two people but was clean and comfortable. The hotel website room pictures are fairly accurate. Our room was very close to the elevator but it was quiet. The connection to the free Wi-Fi without access code was easy, but it took me a while to figure out a credit card, not the room key, was needed to operate the safe box in the room. The bathroom had a tub with a showerhead. We were very careful when taking shower but still got the floor wet every time. The breakfast was €16 for one person. The selection was limited. We stored our luggage at the hotel after we checked out to continue sightseeing. The staff was very helpful and arranged a taxi to take us to the airport. All in all, a convenient hotel for Paris visit.
This is a good hotel close to all the attractions and a metro station. Front desk staff were helpful and the rooms were spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. We travelled as a family and had emailed the hotel 4 weeks before our arrival to as for two rooms together as my husband and I were travelling with our daughter. We received an email back saying this was fine and that both rooms were on the 4th floor. On check in we were told that one room was on the 3rd floor and one was on the 5th floor. This was disappointing as our daughter was then further away from us. Otherwise we would have given this 5. Apparently there were no other rooms available. Breakfast was good only one morning there was no cold milk for the cereal. The bar was lovely and served food which we didnt realise until we were leaving or we would have eaten here.
We stayed for 3 nights. The room was well appointed, a good size for Europe and comfortable bed. The bathroom was a decent size with a good sized bath. We found the hotel to be quiet which is really good for a noisy city like Paris. Wifi was good and included. Front desk staff were very helpful. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a hotel close to pretty much everything and with a metro station close by.
Close to Metro. Lots of dining nearby. Nice neighborhood. Well appointed. Very cozy and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. Staff was helpful. Quiet enough at night. Comfortable lounge areas.
We spent 4 days of our honeymoon here, the hotel is elegant, cosy and clean, with good wi-fi, also very well placed, we were neer everything, and our stay was wonderfull, like allways, Paris was great!
We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and were very happy with the service, the convenience and the room. Prior to our reservation, I corresponded with Roger and found him to be most helpful with all our requests as he continued to be during our stay. We have been to many hotels including many 5 star deluxe all over the world and this is the first time I checked into a hotel and was welcomed by the desk clerk going over the list of all my requests to make sure they had fulfilled them. The room is not large but large enough to include a real king size bed ( not always easy to find in Europe). The bathroom was decent with nice counter space. The mattresses are a little soft but they were kind enough to remember to put a board under the mattresses as soon as we arrived without me having to remind them that I needed a firm mattress for my back. Roger went out of his way to accommodate us in every way before and during our stay . We had initially booked a hotel in the champs élysées area and were very happy we moved to this location and to a hotel that was much more accommodating . The hotel was very close to many attractions and adjacent to the opera avenue with breathtaking architecture. Thank you Best Western L'Horset opera staff and especially Roger for giving us such a wonderful holiday. We hope to come back.
The Opera location is perfect and within walking distance from: The Opera Louvre Great Synagogue Kosher restaurants etc. The service couldn't be better, Particularly Roger was always there for advice and assistance, as was the rest of the staff.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel with my wife and two year ol daughter. What a fantastic place to stay. Room was very clean and comfortable, hotel people were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a quiet cozy street in front of a great sushi restaurant. I had dinner there. Just a few meters away is the Opera!! One of Paris most beautiful buildings. Shopping aroun the area is excellent. Do not hesitate to stay at this hotel
The hotel is very well situated close to the Garnier opera, to the big boulevards, metro stations and the Louvre museum. Rooms are very good, just big enough and well equiped. Quite expensive, but not that much if you consider to be in the center of Paris. Service is not really friendly, polite at most. Breakfast is not good, choices are limited, basic and we experienced that many items were no longer available, tables not cleaned in time etc.
Hotel staff excellent very efficient and super friendly - Accommodation was everything you could want and more Local for all of paris attractions - 5mins walk to the opera and galeries lafayette Hop on hop bus 3mins walk to nearest stop a perfect way to travel and see the sights We had a super 5 days - no problem finding good restraunts We will definately return to this hotel in the future - too good to miss out on They even provide an umbrella if it rains - Many thanks for an unforgetable stay
A charming little hotel off L'Opera and conveniently located and close to most of the attractions. The only negative feedback that I have was the outrageous price that they were charging for breakfast for what was being offered. 16 Euros per person and not one hot item available. Not even toast bread. Very disappointing from that perspective.
My room was nice size for Paris hotel on average, but the mattress was extremely soft and worn. When offered another room that mattress was not any better. Maid service sprays a terrible powdery spray in the corridors and rooms that causes the guests to cough and if you have allergies as I do, it is very, very difficult to breathe. Breakfast is mainly high carb foods. The protein they did have such as the boiled eggs offered were cold -- and the ham was "off" as though it was spoiled. They had some cheese but not everyone can eat cheese for breakfast. The staff is very nice and pleasant but the hotel needs some updating even though this is one of the Premiere Best Western hotels. Heating cooling did not work well.
The hotel is at the center of Paris, very near to everything:Luvre, museums, the opera, restaurants, cafes. The area is really quite and safe. The hotel staff are polite and professional and very helpful. The room was clean , the bed was comfort ,but I think that an armchair is necessary. The breakfast was delicious.
Extremely well located. The employees are helpful. The room looks old fashioned. Extremely clean. The breakfast was average. there is room for improvement here. No eggs, no toaster available??? The choice of food should be enlarged. It is a nice place, but it has to be somewhat reinvented to make it more modern!
The staff were quick to point out which way to go away from the desk but were not very helpful with anything for the stay. Not impressed by their customer service skills. We were told, "well that's Paris". Oh well, I think it's just this hotel.
