"Short Break in Paris"
donna s, 03 Juillet 2024

This is my second stay at the Hotel Litteraire Le Swann and I love the atmosphere. Cosy and charming rooms. Helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast. Close to metro but I love walking and walked to most attractions. Would highly recommend.

"Cute hotel"
Colleen123457, 10 Mai 2024

Stayed for a weekend getaway in Paris. Lovely little hotel in a beautiful part of Paris , loved the balcony doors. Close to all the cute cafe's and bars and moulin rouge. Easy to get into the main part of Paris if you walk down the road and straight to the metro.

"Hotel Le Swann for all things Proust in Paris"
Reluctanttourist2024, 28 Avril 2024

Conveniently located near the lovely parc Monceau and Europe Metro stop, this hotel is a great home base for exploring all of Paris, but especially sites relating to Proust, on account of the large map on display showing Paris of Proust's own day. A small museum of Proustiana is also very unique and connects visitors with Proust's own words over their stay. Staff is friendy and very helpful

"Paris hotel"
Charmaine S, 28 Avril 2024

This is a lovely hotel a bit away from the main area of Paris. Very clean and the staff was very accommodating. I wish there were a few more cafes in the area. It is about 20 mins by Uber to the city center which we headed to most days. Hotel was about a 20 min walk to Palace Garnier and the nicer section of Montmarte.

"Proust theme and clean hotel"
Booklover100, 27 Septembre 2023

Original manuscripts and first editions by Marcel Proust greet you in the lobby of this neat little hotel near the Gare St Lazare. Rooms are very small as is often the case in Paris but mine was clean and modern. A glass door to the bathroom/wc means rooms may not be suitable for some couples. Plumbing problems which had not been noticed by housekeepers were corrected promptly. Those staying more than a couple of days should note there is nowhere to put clothes apart from a tiny wardrobe so you must live out of a suitcase. The hotel is close to Europe metro which goes directly to Odeon (acceptably close to the Louvre) but if you are going elsewhere it is 10 mins walk to Gare St Lazare métro and therefore this is not the most convenient location for tourism, and you also need about 10 mins to get to more interesting restaurants. Staff were efficient though not particularly friendly at first. I commend Laurent who went out of his way to help when I left stuff in the room safe.

"Perfect!"
PaulaM4206, 02 Septembre 2023

We stayed 4 nights in a classic double room this hotel and it was perfect! The Marcel Proust theme makes it very unique and filled with character. The room is small but very clean, comfortable and well laid out with everything we needed. We loved the small luxurious details like plush towels, bathrobes, slippers and Nuxe Paris toiletries. The location is in a safe and quiet neighbourhood that is close to everything we wanted to see (walking distance or by metro). Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations to advice on taking the metro. We hope to stay at this hotel again in the future!

"Séjour fantastique Andre"
Andrzej P, 27 Juillet 2023

The hotel Le Swann is situated in a very good location with easy access to anywhere in Paris. The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful, polite and professional. The decor of the hotel is maintained in a calm, very moody tone. The hotel is kept clean. The rooms are very pleasant and clean. The breakfasts are very tasty. The hotel is distinguished by a very good price for the quality received.

"Great concept hotel"
Margherita N, 28 Juin 2023

Was very clean, comfortable and in a great spot. Staff were helpful & friendly with nice decor. Room was cosy and comfortable, exactly what we expected from Paris. Was walking distance to cafes and stations, easy to get around.

"They made our trip an unforgettable experience"
Júlia F, 25 Mai 2023

"My experience at the Hotel Littéraire Le Swann was simply awesome. The location of the hotel is perfect, just a few minutes from the city center and the main tourist sites. From the moment I arrived, the staff was very friendly and helpful, always willing to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They are undoubtedly a clear example of human quality, service, willingness and affection. The room I stayed in was spacious, with a comfortable bed, impeccable room service, luxurious and well cared for. With unparalleled views of the terrace and a breathtaking view of the sea. I can not fail to mention the variety of breakfast, with options for all tastes, from hot to cold dishes, and a wide selection of drinks in addition to taking special care in celiacs. They made our experience unforgettable, we felt at home thanks to the team that takes care of their customers VERY grateful. Juls and Mar

"Convenient Stay with a Bombshell Cost"
paniels2023, 24 Mai 2023

The Good - Location. it is kind of in the city center. We can take a twenty to thirty minute walk to major attractions - Lots of food choices, bars right next to the hotel - Very clean - Had a Safe. Very helpful to keep precious things and lock before we ventured out to explore the city - Uber comes usually in less than five minutes - Provides (sufficient) water bottles - Friendly service. Staff, front desk, breakfast place, they are all friendly and helpful The OK - the size of the room. Very cramped we felt as we have two grown up kids. We got a room, they call it as apartment,. once you spread the sofa to a bed, you can't open the cupboard, difficult to walk to the other side - not flexible to extend the check out time, even for one hour. 12 pm sharp, we had to get out - breakfast - had some choices and it helped to have something before we get out. Coffee Americano was definitely good when compared to the choices available outside. The Bad - bathroom door. it is a sliding door that doesn't cover completely. No lock. sometimes, it just slides out automatically and it is open (while you are sitting in the potty!) - cost - you pay a bomb and it appears it is mostly for the location.

"Excellent stay"
claudiah600, 15 Mai 2023

Nice and clean hotel with friendly crew. The rooms are tiny but very clean and looking good. The bed slept very well and the breakfast was good. Also the neighbourhood is nice and you quickly reach restaurants, cafes and the subway. I would really recommend this hotel.

"Pleasant atmosphere"
Safari16491226977, 04 Mai 2023

The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere situated in a quiet area close to the metro and a major train station, very friendly and attentive staff (especially the lady receptionist on duty on the late shift when we checked in on 29 April and when we checked out on 02 May)

"Warmly recommended, but not entirely without incident"
catima74, 28 Janvier 2023

I stayed for 3 nights in the middle of January with my daughter. We were very happy with our stay and I was prepared to give this hotel a 5, but I will get back to why I didn't. The room was larger than expected and quiet, despite being on the second floor right next to the elevator. My wish for a room with a bathtub had been fulfilled. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is walking distance from most of the sights and very close to a couple of metro stations. I can warmly recommend and would stay again myself. Our baggage was delayed and didn't arrive in Paris when we did. I mentioned this to reception staff when we arrived, as well as the next day and on the last day before we left. We spent the entire trip without our belongings and in addition to other things had to go out and buy a new suitcase on the last day, as we had only our handbags. The tracing of our bag continued after we returned to our home country and finally, 6 days later it was discovered the bag is in fact at the hotel. Apparently it was delivered there the day after our arrival. They just didn't tell us! All staff at the reception were friendly and spoke English very well, so I really don't know what went wrong. Today, 8 days after our return from Paris, we are finally getting our bag back. This cost us a lot of extra money which we are now discussing with the airline and our insurance company. I just seems like a big part of the problem could have been avoided if the hotel had done their part and let us know they have our bag.

"Great"
MarioK290, 29 Décembre 2022

Exceptional hotel The staff are very helpful, friendly and go out of their way to help you Clean room, comfortable and clean bathroom with partial view of the Eiffel Tower and balcony Nice and cosy lounge Good location We will definitely return here

"Nice stay"
DebasisBha, 28 Novembre 2022

The hotel is located in between two subways and one main subway which is just 700 meters away. lots of restaurants are nearby and in walking distance. Front desk staffs are extremely polite and helpful. They are serving traveler from morning to night with a smiling face. My sincere thanks for all of them for providing a nice stay.

"Vacation in Paris"
Go744303, 18 Octobre 2022

All the employees in the front desk were extremely friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. The hotel is ideally located from some of the major sights. Also, it is about two blocks away from a metro hub which makes it easy to get the Chateau de Versailles.

"STAFF IS THIEF BE CAREFULL"
Arif S, 30 Septembre 2022

STAFF IS THIEF I forgot a men's shirt (it was brand cloth) at the hotel room we stayed in paris. We informed them right after i checked out and they confirmed they found the shirt. My friend went to take the shirt , they said they had no information about it. They stole my shirt. Do not stay there, if you stay dont forget your things or leave money in room because their STAFF IS THIEF..

"Hotel with nice location, comfy bed and with delicious breakfast"
CaglaAy13, 20 Septembre 2022

Hotel was in a good location. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Especially the croissant and scrambled egg. Staff was nice and kind. The only down side was the size of the room. Two people with two suitcases was hard to move around.

"FULL OF THEFT"
Sanyasingh55, 18 Septembre 2022

Please stay in this hotel at your own risk. It has been three weeks now since I lost a Fendi bag (the housekeeping took it as it went missing right after the room was cleaned) and no action has been taken...I did not even expect anything better out of this hotel or the manager who keeps talking in circles and keeps saying I might have lost the bag somewhere else. The least you can do it apologise instead of trying to escape the situation. I still cannot believe someone just took my bag from the room so conveniently and this hotel takes no responsibility for it. I am not the only one this has happened with. Please see the attached screenshots. Thefts have been taking place in this hotel since years now. Action needs to be taken against this hotel...PLEASE PLEASE AVOID STAYING IN THIS HOTEL. IT IS A NIGHTMARE!

"Stole bag from my room"
kanisheka, 06 Septembre 2022

The hotel staff stole my wife's bag from the room. We were visiting paris for work and one morning we left in a hurry when my wife left a Fendi Mini Bag on the bed with 60-80GBP cash in it. The bag is priced at GBP650 at fendi stores. Later when we came in the evening the room was cleaned but the bag was missing. We reported the issue instantly at the reception and they said they would speak to the cleaning staff and get back to us. They didn't inform us anything until next morning and they kept saying we're looking into it. The general manager was on a leave on those days and the reception staff told us she would get back to us regarding this issue. She never replied to our emails until we checked out and reached back home to India. When she replied to us she clearly denied to help us and literally tried to blame us that we didn't keep the bag in the room safe or put do not disturb on the room. She expects us to put our whole luggage in the safe or what? And she expects us to stay in a dirty room for 5 nights?? They clearly denied helping us or reimbursing us in any manner and this is just pathetic. There have been other instances also in this hotel of theft as I could see other google reviews. Never stay in this hotel because there is no safety for your belongings moreover the staff will try to blame you only if anything happens. It is pathetic service and unimaginable. I travel every month to whole Europe and UK since last 5 years and this has never happened. It is unimaginable and a nightmare for all travellers.

"Stylish literary hotel"
Stuart D, 03 Septembre 2022

I had a wonderful stay. I loved the calm atmosphere, cleverly designed room, welcoming and professional staff and lovely neighbourhood. The public areas are filled with books and original materials related to Marcel Proust - very interesting and beautifully displayed. I especially liked the map (copies are available) that shows places in Paris with connections to Proust and his work, including in the area around the hotel. Parc Monceau is quite nearby and is lovely. I am looking forward to staying here again.

"Superb stay!"
Aristodi, 03 Août 2022

A quiet neighborhood, where the hotel is located, beautiful and calm environment. Fantastic breakfast, beautiful view from the room, willing to help personnel! A few blocks from Saint Lazare train station. 20 minutes walk from Arc de Triumph and Change Ellisee avenue ! Great hospitality !

"Nice hotel"

A very good hotel, very clean, breakfast is acceptable like most European hotels, the reception was friendly, especially Mr. Karim he helped us a lot , the hotel is close to all the landmarks, I recommend him especially if it's your first visit to paris

"Excellent"

Everything excellent. All the staff very competent and professional. Always available to help.Very clean rooms. Very quiet area and close to the center of Paris, near the subway and restaurants. I recommend this hotel.

"Wonderful hotel in a beautiful neighborhood!"
csgoyeah, 16 Juin 2022

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western "Le Swann" hotel in Paris. The staff were excellent, they took great care of us, and the neighborhood is delightful. We walked from the hotel to all of the major tourist sites (Eiffel Tower, L'ouvre, Musee d'orsay, Arc de triumph) - long walks, but possible if you like walking. The hotel is also very near a metro stop (Villers, blue line #2), making it very easy to hop on the subway and zip around town. And the neighborhood around the hotel is gorgeous! There's a beautiful park called Park Monceau (I believe) a 5 minute walk from the hotel, and walking through there on a Saturday afternoon was one of the most delightful, joyous experiences of my life. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

"Fantastic Hotel"
Carville M, 14 Juin 2022

A beautiful Hotel in urban business district. Clean, well appointed rooms - bigger than my usual Paris rooms. Polite, discreet, respectful staff. it was a real pleasure to stay here. Comfortable seating in reception area, good lifts, Nice breakfast,

"I would visit again!"
MyrtheH20, 03 Mai 2022

A great hotel in Paris for the location and the price! The decor of the hotel and rooms was very neat. The balcony was our favorite part of the room. A little small to really sit on, but opening the doors and listening to the sounds & looking at the Parisian buildings from our bed really added something to the room. The hotel is right at the street, so this is very easy for Taxi pickup. There are also multiple metro and train stations within a 10 minute walk. he room was a little bit smaller than we expected. The bathroom was a decent size however the shower/bath combo was located on the angled part of the roof. Which made the showering a bit uncomfortable. There were hardly any noises from the outside of the building, but we did have some issues with noises from our the room next to us. Thankfully with one call to reception it was solved quickly. Housekeeping arrives around 17.00 o'clock. Which was the time we were always in the room to get ready for dinner. So our room was not cleaned in the few days we were there.

"Paris Trip"
Liltam101, 03 Avril 2022

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here during our time in Paris ! We will definitely stay here again! Everything was just perfect at this location! Quiet rooms and close to everything in paris! Just one quick metro ride to all the attractions!

"Excellent location and staff is amazing!"
elizabethkF129WL, 27 Mars 2022

I recently returned from a business trip and stayed for 5 nights. The staff at this hotel is truly amazing! They arranged for my "late" arrival given I was coming in early morning from the US, moved me to a larger beautiful room, and helped me with finding a last minute Covid test before I could depart back to the US (after my booked appt did not provide my test results), which was truly amazing. The entire front office team was exceptional. The rooms are small (but all Paris rooms are small :)), but very clean, well appointed, and if you can get one with the balcony (also small but delightful), I would highly recommend. The location was great, and the market around the corner was very convenient, but overall would return just because of the exceptional service.

"Not great"
Derek G, 14 Février 2022

Couldn't believe this is supposed to be a 4* hotel and had no bar or evening food? I asked the guy on reception when the bar opened and was told he was here on his own so wouldn't be providing a bar service. This is Paris ? Unbelievable. Euro 150 a night and no bar or restaurant ? This is a b&b and that's it ! Exec room was ok but couldn't open the windows as the staff smoking area was right under it ! Room 111 in case of doubt. First visit to Paris. If this is it, I won't be back. Very poor hotel which is nowhere anywhere you want to be ! I travel a lot. Don't come here.

"Recommend!"
Rosalina-Roos, 23 Décembre 2021

We like this hotel a lot. It is very clean, the breakfast is good and the staff friendly. Also we could store our luggage the last day as we had an evening flight. I would book it again and come back!

"Amazing 2-week stay"
Alessandra V, 17 Décembre 2021

I went on a work trip to Paris and spent two weeks there. Even though those days were pretty much intense and tiring, the people working at Le Swann helped me stay relaxed by providing top notch services to satisfy my every need. Everything's been exceptional and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going on either business or leisure trips. As a side note, croissants, pains au chocolat and pains aux raisins offered for breakfast are memorable ;)

"A gorgeous literary (and more;)) experience!"
elenasR2619HY, 26 Août 2021

Loved everything about my stay. It felt like going back in time indeed:) Such a literary, intellectual and belle époque atmosphere... Reception available around the clock, I arrived at midnight and got a very warm welcome - MERCI BEAUCOUP to the gentleman from the night shift! Got the room I so much wanted and asked about when I made the booking. To have a balcony was such a plus! Rooms (and everywhere else in the hotel) are spotless clean-impressive!!!!!!!! A wonderful lady who took care off me at breakfast for 3 mornings, was TRÈS GENTILLE! MERCI MILLE FOIS! Check-out was fast and efficient. I was actually running late but THANKFULLY could take my time. I cannot be grateful enough to the gentleman who worked then!!!! Value for money and location should be mentioned separately, of course....++++++++++++++ You, guys, are simply wonderful!!!!! THANK YOU- I enjoyed! ❤

"Business trip - you're in good hands "
matthieud720, 12 Septembre 2020

Have been going there for 7 years now, all anti covid messe it's are taken and respected, very nice staff looking after you and making sure you have the best stay possible. Recommended, especially right now where health safety need to be put first.

"Very good hotel!"
THCaro, 06 Février 2020

The stuff are very kind and patient. The prices are very good and the location is perfect! I forgot my passport on the last day and the receptionist kept it calm and acted very fast to send me this to the airport on time. .Very good service, highly recommend

"I would have given it top marks"
868sallye, 15 Janvier 2020

This hotel is small but this should be expected. My partner is disabled so some of the corridors were too small and not easy to navigate. Plus the disabled facilities in the bathroom weren't good either but in all fairness that is my experience in most assessible rooms in hotels. I found the staff in reception to be very helpful and kind. Because my partner was involved in an emergency situation they couldn't have been more supportive. The breakfast was also good with variety of choices. The only thing that did spoil this was housekeeping where you put do not disturb sign on your door but they still try and come in. This isn't acceptable at all. I did report it to reception. So it is regrettable that my partner and I will not be returning because up and until that time we would have done.

"Great little small hotel"
Mirna H, 04 Janvier 2020

Lovely small hotel and very clean. renovated meaning all bathrooms and rooms are in good conditions. The room was small which is common in these old Parisian buildings and that what makes it charming. Love the themed rooms. The only disappointment was the breakfast : I paid for something that I did not eat. They said fresh orange juice which was not the case and the croissant was not fresh which is not accaptable especially in France. When I told them , they looked at me without any effort to address it. Too bad, it ended on this negative note.

"This was my third choice and the other two were full. Jolly glad I got here!"
Margalit F, 05 Novembre 2019

Everything is in good taste here. Have not had the breakfast yet but am looking forward to it. In the room, it is just as it should be; downt to the smalles detail. Example: if you get up at night to go to the lavatory, a little light comes on which makes it easy to go back to sleep. Bed comfortable and you want for nothing. The room is just that little more spacious and all in all a good place. The lobby seemsspecially npleasant. My onle reservation is that I booked through the hotel's website and had I done it through oneof the hotel booking sites, it would have been considerably cheapter.

"Rate to receptionist"
215v_t, 05 Novembre 2019

I really do not want to report this hothel that I have never done with any service before. But the receptionist on the day I checked in have an unacceptable attitude. Me and my friend have a half of month travel around Europe, visited 4 countries and 12 cities, including Paris. We had a great time until last day we came back Paris from Roma to catch the flight back to Hanoi. Best Western was a nice hotel and we did hope that we have nice last day in Paris too. But their receptionist made us very disappointed! It seems that the two of us were not welcomed by her, a cold look greeted us, an emotionless greeting and fake smile. After asked us some information she told us wait. We were astonished at her attitude, but we thought that for some reason, maybe it was a gloomy day, and she was tired. But no, the two guests who came after us were greeted with fresh smiles, heartfelt inquiries and checked in before both of us, while we had to wait. By the way, when we check out, she hasn't changed, keeping that awful attitude with us. WHY? What is the reason? Because we are two Asian girls? Her actions and attitudes make us feel racist and offended!

"Unique style hotel convenient for the Gare Saint-Lazare"
JMLechner, 25 Octobre 2019

Have stayed twice at this hotel for short business trips. Staff have been friendly and professional, had good rests on both occasions. Interesting decor and information on renowned authors in the different rooms and throughout the hotel. Room sizes vary quite a bit, first stay was in a pretty large room (for Paris), second stay room was more to Paris standards, big enough for a quick stay, would have been tight with luggage and and extended stay. On my second visit there was a major failure with the key card to my room, but the staff and management were very helpful and the the hotel Directeur came very late at night and managed to rectify the situation, cannot be more complimentary of how the situation was handled. In short, would stay here again.

"Lovely hotel"
bryanu304, 24 Octobre 2019

The friendly staff made us feel very welcome. The room ws small (normal for Paris I understand) but comfortable. The themed decor was nice and interesting, delicious breakfast. Location was good within walking distance to the Arc and close to the metro stations.

"Books and..sweat"
AmedeoG, 17 Octobre 2019

The hotel is well located (close to Gare St Lazare and to the line 2 of the metro), in a area full of musical instruments shops. Its special feature is to get the host in a world of poetry, literature and books. Nevertheless, the room was a little bit small and with a bathroom area (between the door and the bed) instead of a true bathroom. Getting into the shower was difficult, because there was the wc in between. Furthermore, the shower didn't have a door so a lot of water felt out. The bed was small. In addition there was a mattress cover in plastic and you can imagine I woke up at 6 o'clock sweating all over. On the contrary, breakfast was delicious and served in a nice big room. So, my experience was not as good as the price I paid for one night.

"Smart centrally located hotel"
Chris B, 13 Octobre 2019

Friendly check in on arrival. They've tried to add a bit of culture about the place, with lots of references to old buildings in Paris, which I thought was a nice touch. Downside? The rooms are *small*. I was only there two nights, and mostly "out", but still they are small. I could barely move the chair out from the desk to sit down due to the bed behind it. Otherwise, the room was well appointed with everything I needed and was clean and tidy. Breakfast was simple but fine. Took about an hour on train + metro to get their from Charles due Galle airport. Close to a couple of different stations, so suspect it would be good for exploring Paris if you were a tourist. I was there for work, and found the 10 mins or so stroll to the office through Paris pleasant.

"Comfy boutique hotel."
SMPartTwo, 07 Octobre 2019

Nice quiet boutique hotel with unique literary decor. Rooms are very compact (like all of Paris), with comfy bed, soft towels, modern bathroom. Very clean. Pretty dining area for breakfast buffet. Easy walk to Metro. Only a few restaurants close by for dinner, but we recommend The Publisher gastronomic pub - only 2 blocks away.

"Prison Cell Rooms, not the greatest location, dingy neighborhood."
L L, 28 Septembre 2019

The rooms are the tiniest I have ever seen while visiting Europe and you CANNOT function stress free. Our bed was fully against the balcony so we couldn't access. The front of the bed was hitting both the desk, two desk chairs, one random plastic chair and armoire in the room. We couldn't even use the Nespresso machine without standing on the bed to reach it. The bathroom was bigger than the bedroom itself and the shower was super uncomfortable. Extremely high step up and at 5'3, I thought I would bust my a** trying to hop in, and its half open without full glass when showering-extremely weird. We had to play a game of room tetris and move all three chairs in the room, stacking them on top of the armoire in an effort to have walking and luggage space. This hotel is also NOT that close to main tourist hot spots and at minimum 35 minute walks on the surrounding filthy streets to get anywhere (pls note: I'm from NYC, so I'm not trying to sound bougie, I walk dirty streets of Manhattan daily lol but these were extremely filthy) and all nearby businesses were consistently closed, so even finding food was difficult. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and what is more annoying is the rate we paid was still too much spent for accommodations received especially when there are also additional city taxes you must pay at checkout, such a ripoff.

"Superb!"
cathybrogle, 01 Septembre 2019

BWP le Swann was our Home for the last 10 days. BWP le Swann is on a convenient location, gives quick and direct access to metro lines and buses. It's impeccably clean, well equipped, the art decor gives a special touch and moves the senses. The BWP le Swann Staff are professional, attentive and went above and beyond to meet all our needs. We worth our awesome stay and would recommend the hotel with open heart.

"Terrible service - Don't waste your money on this hotel"
Noncedo P, 17 Août 2019

I stayed here whilst in Paris from the 12 of August. Firstly we were placed in a tiny room the size of a tin, where the was no place to move around let alone to a place our luggage bags. We requested for a bigger room and were told by the very unprofessional and extremely rude receptionist that's the biggest room they have. We then requested to be upgraded to the executive room and paid for the upgrade only to be moved to a same size room just on the higher floor. After a lot of complaining and back and forth an executive room miraculously became available and we were moved to that. The hotel staff is extremely unprofessional and have an issue with black people. We expressed our dissatisfaction and articulated to the gentleman at reception how we have not felt welcomed at this hotel and all he said was “ok maybe the other clients have something you don't have”

"Bad reception"
Ahmad A, 09 Août 2019

I don't recall her name but she is the one who makes the check in for us on 6th of August , very bad attitude and scream at me i was shocked, and i will never recommend this hotel for any of my family and friends and I will never book it again because of her , this my first time to face this problem with reception Bad experience

"Good Value, Great Location"
Scubabin, 05 Juillet 2019

The hotel is located in a pleasant part of Paris that is very near to many bus stops and metro stations. (you will have to go to different stops to get on the buses headed for different destinations) The staff are very helpful, speak very good English and are loads of fun -special mention to all the front office staff, the concierge, and the bubbly bar-tender who helped me open my bottle of wine and shared some insights on french wine. The rooms are VERY WELL appointed. Granted that it is a bit small, but this is Paris city center and the room has a King sized bed with wonderfully luxurious and clean bedding. I have stayed in 5 star hotels that were below the level of comfort here. The bathrooms were also great, with the motion activated night light under the sink for midnight visits being a very nice touch. 1 small flaw was that the bathtub was a bit high and getting in and out could be a problem for the elderly. However, i assume that this is unavoidable because the hotel has to preserve the structure of the heritage building and so putting a sunken bathtub is just not possible. They have an espresso machine in the room and a little balcony overlooking a picturesque street. The hotel is very near a large convenience store which is next to a coin- operated laundry - 2 minute walkaway. Lots of restaurants nearby - Italian, Vietnamese and French

"Best of both worlds"
kansashusbandanddad, 30 Juin 2019

This lobby is full of history. The rooms are super modern and clean. The staff was super friendly. The room was a bit tiny, but again super clean and new decor. The location was easily within walking distance of metro stations. The best part is that the bed felt brand new and was super comfy and firm.

"Rude staff and rooms like cells"
781olivierb, 30 Juin 2019

Beside the fact the aircon didn't work, beside the fact receptionist is rude like never, beside the fact they reproach you to do not bring the laundry bag by yourself (why not wash by yourself your own clothes !) ...the rooms are small like cells in a jail.

"Clean and perfectly renovated"
massimo g, 08 Juin 2019

Nice hotel in a very convenient location. Room not spacious as usual in Paris but clean and comfortable. I personally don't like mattress and pillow in memory foam. Breakfast complete both sweet and salty. Price aligned with capital cities in Europe.

"First time in Paris"
Excursion592853, 06 Juin 2019

Location is incredibly convenient, with walkable distance to Saint Lazare train station and Lafayette shopping district. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Room is tiny than expected, the bed is barely fits 2 adults. Mattress is soft as marshmallow not recommended to people who has back pain issue. The water pressure is small and takes forever to finish shower.

"Great locale, helpful staff, tiny room"
Happytravel4002018, 05 Juin 2019

This cute and small hotel is in a great location especially if you are comfortable using the metro/rail system of Paris. Multiple stations are within easy walking distance and shopping is nearby as well. Interesting assortment of restaurants and a wonderful street market only a few blocks away. Gracious and helpful staff. Our room was comfortable but extremely tiny, as many Paris hotels are, but it had a lovely small balcony. Bathtub was a bit funky, narrow but deep and wider on the top than the bottom.

"HORRIBLE PARIS STAY"
trishana317, 04 Juin 2019

the reception staff was very unfriendly. the breakfast was pathetic, no variety. the room and bathroom was extremely small. we could barely fit with our 2 suitcases. and the towels in the bathroom were not very clean. however the hotel is situated ideally to catch the metro train and travel.

"Garbage"
Danielle S, 30 Mai 2019

I requested a soaking tub and a courtyard view. Attached are pictures of my soaking tub and courtyard view. I booked this room 8 months in advance. You have been warned. The rooms are small which I expected, but the staff should be sweeping sidewalks. They are rude and not the least bit helpful.

"Paris in April"
mmlcbus, 27 Avril 2019

I enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Premier Le Swann. The hotel is pretty cozy but well thought out. Free water and chocolates upon arrival. The room has everything you need, very comfortable beds. Lots of outlets to charge your devices. Plenty of storage space. Nice views from the balcony. Quiet rooms. Great breakfast with a full spread of breads and croissants, butter, marmalade's, Nutella. Hot items: eggs, cooked meats. Variety of juices. Meat & Cheese. Cereal. Coffees. The hotel is minutes away from the train station and a cheap Uber to anywhere in the city. I would definitely stay here again!

"Nice for a short trip to Paris!"
SimSchi2000, 22 Avril 2019

Rooms are small, but very clean. Staff is very friendly. The hotel is next to the Gare St. Lazare and there are two metros in walking distance - Europe and St. Lazare. Breakfast is average, but very nice staff. Very nice cleaning ladies - I forgot my expensive earrings in the room one day, and they didn't do anything. My respect for so much honesty! Over all recommendable!

"A Wonderful First Experience in Paris"
Sherpa43226810244, 03 Avril 2019

I recently visited Paris for the first time and was unsure what area to book a hotel in. The Le Swann is conveniently located near a number of metro lines, as well as walking distance to many attractions, including the Arc de Triomphe, Parc Manceau, and the Eiffel Tower. The staff here, from concierge to housekeeping, was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful. I speak limited French and it was not an issue, the front desk staff helped me with everything from directions to restaurant recommendations and arranging taxis. The room was small, as expected for Europe, but impeccably clean and well furnished, with a small private balcony. I was very pleased with the comfort and style of the hotel overall, and had a wonderful stay for my trip. I would definitely book this hotel again on my next trip to Paris.

"Convinient"
angele501, 31 Mars 2019

Budget hotel with nice amenities, friendly staff, good location, breakfast on the edge, the only negative point is the size of the room, it's really small, hard to pass between the bed and the desk... its a place for a business trip where you dont carry much luggage and you are going there just to sleep

"Best birthday weekend"
Valentina L, 01 Mars 2019

My partner booked a Paris trip as a surprise and I must say I was very impressed with his choice of hotel. The location was great, we had a stunning view of Sacre Coeur from our balcony (the picture I posted doesn't do justice to how clear the view was) and it was very easy to walk around and reach other sites/stations/restaurants/shops from where we were. Also by taxi, everything was close and reasonable in price. All the staff we dealt with were lovely, professional and helpful at all times. The rooms were clean and breakfast included also good. Definitely recommend from all aspects. Thank you

"Clean but small"
Roam26055066578, 01 Mars 2019

1- Clean but very small rooms. 2- Average breakfast. 3- You need to be very thin to fit inside the Shower cabin. 4- good location close to saint Lazare and lots of restaurants. 5- Avoid Mr Laurent in the front desk with his awful attitude

"Superbe!"
Suzi K, 27 Février 2019

The staff are wonderful, room was spotlessly clean, rooms perfect with balcony and lovely view. This location is within walking distance of many tourist spots and the locale has good restaurants and cafe's. Definately worth a stay!

"Excellent"
connorm617, 16 Décembre 2018

I stayed here over the weekend - Friday to Sunday Got a great deal with CGM Luxury Travel. Hotel is in a lovely location, a 10 minute sub ride to concorde where all the nice shops are, the demonstrations were on this weekend but it never really bothered us we just took different routes. Rooms are gorgeous, nice balconys etc Staff are very polite and the hotel is very clean. Will be coming back in March

"Unprofessional and not helpful"
frick018, 08 Décembre 2018

We had high hopes for this hotel upon arrival. The front desk staff we met when we arrived seemed quite professional and nice. Even though the room was ridiciously small and luggage could not be opened properly anywhere in the room (we had booked a "superior room"?) we chose to see past this and enjoy our stay. However, the experience went from acceptable to terrible when my wife's engagement ring could not be found the next day. We figured it was lost in the room somewhere and kept looking, until we realised it was not there. We literally looked everywhere and the last time it had been seen was in the room. When we notified the staff (called front desk a couple of times), nobody seemed to care or made an effort to be helpful. When checking out, my wife informs the front desk staff of what has happened, naturally distressed and sad, and the reaction was a loud and clear sigh from the person she was talking to. Very indifferent to the entire situation. The staff could at least try to "seem" concerned as this happened in their hotel. We later emailed them images and more information about it, but nobody replied. Simply unprofessional, nonchalant and one would think it would not be too much to ask for to have somebody go up to the room and have another look - just in case. We even mentioned that we will speak to the police because we are suspecting theft. Again, no reaction. Instead, they insisted we must leave immediately for the airport. There was no rush, but they insisted there was. This entire way of handling the situation simply left us disappointed and frustrated. The hotel in itself, and its location, was acceptable. The rest of the experience, was not.

"very nice hotel & great staff"
ozder, 22 Novembre 2018

Very nice hotel, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very delicious. The hotel is located very close to the metro and main train station St Lazare which is very convenient. Its also only about a 10 minutes walk to the Grand Opera, Galerie L a Fayette, Printemps etc... Overall I would definitely stay here again.

"Very good, family friendly hotel with amazing staff"
Niean, 04 Novembre 2018

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrive to the hotel early - 10am - and the room was already waiting for us. With no extra charge and no complications at the check-in. The staff was polite throughout our stay - friendly and very helpful. Location is great. Nice and peaceful nighbourhood, away from the city night life, however close to the Metro station with great connections to all the landmarks. Room was big enough for three, with one little comment - the toilet was not heated, so due to the cold outside temperatures it was a bit too chilly in there. Breakfast was great and delicious. Over all, great value for money and family friendly stay.

"Excellent stay"
Explore24096790003, 04 Novembre 2018

Stayed for 2 nights, had a lovely stay at Le Swann! Superb service (breakfast in bed - which can be ordered up to 3 am the morning before), very accommodating room and comfortable beds. We loved the area, which was located out of the centre, but well-connected by metro. We would definitely come back!

"Clean, Comfortable, and Quiet"
cookingmom2020, 03 Novembre 2018

We felt fortunate to be given an "upgraded" room since our original assignment was closet sized! The new room as well located with windows opening into a secluded courtyard. The bed and linens were good quality. The breakfast offerings were satisfactory but limited. The neighborhood, while convenient to the Metro, offered limited food opportunities. This was especially problematic when returning from an evening tour.

"OK hotel with poor soundproof"
Bruce L, 02 Novembre 2018

Stayed in the hotel for 5 nights for my first trip to Paris. Location-wise it's not close to any tourist attraction. A short walk to metro station (Europe), or a bit further to Saint Lazare station around which you can find some shopping and eating place. The room was tiny. Given it's in a historical old building (like most of other Paris hotels) it's understandable. After all it's not smaller than those business hotel in Singapore or Japan, and definitely better maintained comparing with those crappy hotels in SF. There's a dryer hanging rack in the bathroom which is convenient. However there's some stain in the rack which could be the mark from previous travelers' clothing. The room had an espresso machine but there's no kettle provided. If you were a tea drinker like me, your only option is to use the espresso machine to boil water -- which means at lease 2~3 cycle of operation and you get a cup of "coffee-flavored" water to make your tea. Free wifi was provided but the connection could be unstable sometimes. Main complain was the soundproof. The windows/balcony doors did a poor job of blocking the street noise. On top of that, the wall was thin as a paper. You can hear clearly from your next door travelers, or your upstairs/downstairs neighbor. Their conversation, the TV they watching, the music they playing, name it. It's not just lead to poor sleeping quality, but also a concern of privacy. After all, it's a OK hotel but the soundproof was so bad. To me it's a 2.5 star out of 5. Don't think I'll chose it again for my next visit to Paris

"4/5 is about right"
andy1966a, 20 Octobre 2018

it is a unique hotel, with character and a good location. The staff are polite and helpful and everything looks in place in terms of negative, due to the size there is no real restaurant, and even breakfast is just average Room size is very small - I was alone, but certainly no room for 2 if i was not

"It Is A Small World"
Nottingham11, 17 Octobre 2018

The Best Western Premium Le Swann Hotel is likable in every way: the central and quiet location, the competent staff, the slick décor and furnishing, the nice breakfast service and a warm and welcoming lobby. Alas, the room is so tiny it is fit for a (one) contortionist!

"Excellent Gem - Clean AND Affordable"
findingtiki83, 27 Septembre 2018

I was a little hesitant to stay in this hotel because some of the reviews were not so good. My daughter attends I started hers for our vacation in July for 5 days. It was a very pleasant experience. The hotel was in a great location. We had a short daily walk to the subway station (very easy to navigate). And even with the slight walk it was good because it allowed us to do some shopping in the mall (where the subway station is located). The mall also had a lovely sorbet shoppe that I hight recommend. The breakfast was good (a bit pricey, but we also had it delivered to our room). The staff was friendly and helpful. And the hotel was very clean. I was thoroughly impressed. If we return to Paris, this will be the hotel we choose to stay in.

"Loved it"
Diyaksha I, 25 Septembre 2018

Had a beautiful stay at this quaint hotel. Its a boutique hotel and had a good breakfast. It is near the Arc De triomphe. The rooms are small but neat and there is a wine shop and some restaurants just across it. its a walk away from the train stations and the staff are always willing to help.

"Wonderful Cozy Hotel"
Freedom309728, 18 Septembre 2018

We stayed with my family for a week booking 2 rooms. The hotel was lovely and cozy. The rooms were quite tight but the bed was very comfortable. There were black out drapes which allowed us to sleep comfortably. The bathroom was nice except for the high bathtub which would be a challenge for some, although for us it was fine. The bathroom also had glass which was see through which made it awkward. The room was clean and great AC. They also have a wonderful coffee machine to start your morning in the room. We did not get the breakfast as we wanted to try the different pastry shops in the area. There is a great place called Elise a few minutes down the road! The lobby also had a coffee machine as well. The staff were very helpful and we felt relaxed and definitely enjoyed our stay. The location is close to a lot of places and we enjoyed the experience of walking to the Champs Elsyee (20 min.), 10 min walk to the train station and a few minutes to walk to the subway. A 12 min. walk to Galaries Lafayette. This was definitely a great comfy hotel to stay in!

"Lovely Hotel"
Mainers, 17 Septembre 2018

Our room was a bit small, but very clean and comfortable. We slept well in a bed with linens that are super comfy, and black out drapes that block all light. Room was very quiet. Towels are soft and fluffy, wifi is strong even on top floor, ac worked great (appreciated being able to adjust both fan speed and temp), and metro is only 10 - 15 min walk. The breakfast was outstanding - fresh squeezed oj, a selection of breads/pastries and croissants, lots of fresh fruit (figs, kiwis, orange and grapefruit slices, dried fruits in addition to the usual fruit salad), excellent coffee and tea and the usual cereal, boiled eggs, cheeses and meats. We were generally at breakfast fairly early and items were well stocked and area very clean. The only cons were a lack of storage space (could use shelves in bathroom and nightstand could have been a chest of drawers or have shelving as opposed to just a table) and multiple light switches that needed to work in unison, we never figured out how to turn on just one light without lighting up room. All and all a very nice stay, would recommend.

"Perfect stay"
lisahY4435KU, 27 Août 2018

Exceptional hotel - serene and peaceful, perfect for a family break. Reception staff very helpful and all staff in the hotel welcoming and friendly. Rooms very well appointed and creative use of space. We stayed in a suite which was perfect in terms of space for a family of three (two adults and one teen). Breakfast was particularly good, a great choice of continental breakfast items. Lovely fresh bread and pastries. Hotel well situated - close to various metro stops and also an easy and enjoyable walk to the Champs-Élysée (around 25 minute slow saunter). Would unreservedly recommend!

"Comfortable Clean Hotel"
jovy o, 26 Août 2018

Nice hotel, too bad most of the establishments around it was closed. Apparently most of the people in France go on vacation during August. The room was always clean everytime we got back to the hotel, sleep quality was good.

"Great Location and good value for money barring the breakfast"
Sudeep M, 22 Août 2018

Opted for this hotel for a week long stay in Paris choosing the Superior Room the larger option Location was good. Walking distance from the Opera and reasonably close to all the major tourist attractions Champs Elysees, Louvre, Moulin Rouge, Eiffel. The front desk staff was comfortable in English which is an added plus for French hotels. The lobby area is comfortable and check in smoothe. The room was decently sized by Paris standards and clean. Housekeeping efficient. The only lacking area was the breakfast. A standard European breakfast but considerably understaffed. One lady was managing all the tables, clearances and replenishments. The timing for breakfast was 7am to 1030 am, on a couple of days when we walked in at 9 am we were told that the yogurts, eggs, certain breads were over and would be replenished the next day. My wife is vegetarian and could not eat most of the items remaining. I understand at the close of breakfast you dont have the items but not when 1.5 hours of service are still left. This happened for 3-4 days out of the 7 days Expect a chain like Best Western to manage their procurement better

"Whistle stop "
darren h, 21 Août 2018

This is a lovely little hotel right in the heart of Paris being serviced by three metro lines that will whisk you to where ever you desire. There are plenty of restaurants near by and two little supermarkets that allows you to grab some little nick nacks although there is a mini fridge packed full of goodies(at an extra cost). The rooms are quite small but very clean and ours had a small balcony over looking the street. The breakfast was outstanding there was something to suit everyone.

"Great with kids"
bethbF3415AV, 16 Août 2018

Came on my own with 2 teenagers and had a junior suite - a double and single in separate rooms. Was lovely and clean and smart. Good location and cafes nearby for breakfast if you don't want to pay 15 euros for breakfast.

"Safe and tidy"
Susanna C, 01 Août 2018

I just stayed here for under a week, last week while visiting Paris for the first time (also traveled solo). I felt that it was in a rather safe area with multiple metro lines nearby within a 3-10 minute walk (including Gare St Lazare which made getting to Normandy quite easy). I felt that the staff was mostly friendly and helpful (my only caveat is that when I ran into an issue needing to contact my credit card company they were unable to help me figure out how to call, simply that I couldn't call out on the hotel line for the international collect call number that is provided by the credit card company (I would advise they make an exception this). Fortunately I was able to figure out how to do it using Skype but if it has been an emergency, I might have had a different view of the experience. I purchased my stay through a combined ticket via the Eurostar so before selecting I researched the place as I originally was going to stay in the Latin Quarter. I thought that the breakfast was very adequate (mine came with the package I purchased already included) and the ladies running breakfast were lovely and helpful. The comment someone made about a hot water kettle and restocking each day would be good additions to housekeeping in truth and somedays I would receive a hand cloth while other days I didn't (but the room was always spotless—the cleanest of any hotel I have stayed in recently). However when I left a note for housekeeping asking for more milk cups, they gave them to me without issue and the evening I did not have one for my cup of tea, I asked front desk and they got me actual milk. I knew before staying the rooms would be small but they have AC (and during the high 99s/30s weather it was welcomed to return to for sleeping) and incredibly comfortable beds (I have trouble sleeping usually but I slept super well here). I don't understand the bathroom shower set up as it was impossible to not get any water on the floor regardless of the care you took since the shower isn't fully enclosed. Where I stayed in Normandy also had this so I don't think this is unique to them. There is two small (& expensive) mini markets nearby and a handful of restaurants (they, like the rest of Paris were pricey even at what I assume is a budget dining rate). Overall, I recommend this quiet, clean and comfortable hotel especially to solo travelers and thank the staff for a nice stay. Be warned that the hotel tax they charge in Paris is higher than elsewhere in the country by this is standard and not the hotel itself doing it (I believe is also is based on type of hotel). Overall, recommended.

"Perfection in Paris with a Literary genius!"
Jenafarious, 28 Juillet 2018

Tucked away in a little side street equally between two suburban Metro stations we weren't sure what to expect as first time visitors to Paris and a little apprehensive given recent news events. But from the moment we stepped through the front door we definitely felt the wow factor! The tributes to writer M Proust throughout the decor and artifacts gave this boutique an air of quiet perfection but simplicity as only the French can. The foyer and bar were well set out offering privacy and a host of interesting reading matter (no literary hotel) which catered to every taste with an air of quiet sophistication. The lift was a little slow but we didn't mind as it seemed to fit in somehow and once in our room on top floor with an attic balcony view of the local streets, nothing else mattered. Staff were efficient and the room decor was effective and superbly set out offering just a small hint of M Proust's works to entice us as guests into wanting to find out more about this literary great. Everything moved and functioned with quiet precision day/night leaving us wondering where we'd been before we found this place? And then there was breakfast... another lesson in effortless catering to almost perfection. NB be aware of the very soft lounge chairs when suiting at some tables. Very hard to get out of and quite low when at table. Not good for those with back issues or sore knees! The range of foods and displays were very well done, berries in season and crusty French rolls to die for! Loved the local honeys and marmalades and the very good range of teas catering for a variety of tastes. Will be on our list for a return visit. Thank you M Proust and the staff of Le Swann you are gold! #LeSwann #Parisboutiquehotel #MProust

"excellent!"
Cindy M, 27 Juillet 2018

Very nice hotel in a quieter part of Paris, Kind staff in the hotel, our room was completely silent at the 6 th floor and big enough for us and a child of 8 years old. Very good beds! Breakfast was various and fresh. It was hot in Paris and that's why appreciated very much that at the desk, there were free bottles of water. Nice restaurants in the neighbourhood and also a supermarket. Metro is almost in front of the hotel. We come back next year!

"cramped rooms"
Otto313, 26 Juillet 2018

Don't be fooled by the website! Rooms are tiny; the bathroom very cramped. The hotel floor plan is confusing. Given the price this hotel is a total ripoff. The staff is great but can't make up for the room size limitation. Save your money!

"Great Location, Professional Staff, AC"
Alexander Z, 09 Juillet 2018

We were greeted by courteous, professional staff who spoke fluent English. We visited during a heat wave and were thankful for the air conditioning provided in the rooms. The hotel is located very close to the metro and is in walking distance from the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. Would stay here again!

"Great location"
dorami15, 02 Juillet 2018

This is a great hotel, on a great location and the stuff was friendly. The breakfast was good. It's close to a metro station and the area is very nice, there's a supermarket nearby. It was quiet but still very Parisian and it's close to all the sights in Paris, you can get to most of them within 10 minutes. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place

"Kindness"
paky_marika, 30 Juin 2018

I had some problems the day before to our trip in Paris, i booked this hotel with a no editable and cancellable reservation. I adviced the reception some hours before our arrival there, they kindly cancelled my reservation without any payment. I really thanks the reception for the understanding and kindness. When we will re-arrange the Paris visit, Hotel Le Swann will be our preference again. Thanks and kind Regards Pasquale

"Perfect location. Great spot."
yelkcerb, 20 Juin 2018

Yes, the room is small so be prepared for that but that's the norm. We were gone from dawn to dusk anyway. Great location near the metro! Breakfast was delicious and easy and staff was friendly and accommodating.

"Quiet Little Boutique In A Convenient Area of Paris"
Scott M, 19 Juin 2018

We stayed in the Le Swann Hotel for one week to celebrate our 10th Anniversary in Paris and it had everything we needed for our stay. Coming from North America, it took a few minutes to remember how much smaller European hotel rooms can be, but with the armoire and extra little area for the suitcase rack, we had two full suitcases in the room and out of the way. It perfectly sufficient size and with the large bathroom, we had more then enough space for the two of us. The hotel and the room itself was extremely clean. Not much else to say about it. I mean it really exceeded our standards in this regard. We weren't keen on the plastic drinking cups in the room that we don't think were getting replaced each day, but we used the wine glasses more then the plastic ones anyway. This was by far the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. In fact we were worried that the scooter and street noise would affect us as we faced the front of the hotel staying on the 6th floor, but once the balcony doors were shut and the blinds drawn, it was quiet and dark making it a completely relaxing stay. Breakfast was great with great selections of breads, spreads, juices, coffees and cereals. There were a few nice cheeses each morning along with a few fresh cold cuts. For hot food, there were sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs. A perfect start for the day. Staff were more then helpful and answered any questions we had. English was not a problem and they helped with anything we needed. Travelling around the City from this hotel was very easy. There were numerous Metro stations within a 5-8 minute walk but we used the Rome (2 Line) and Europe (3 Line) stations for our trip that got us everywhere we wanted to go. We also used the Metro to get to and from CDG airport. It took about 60 minutes from terminal to hotel door. Was completely easy to get to get to every touristy spot from this hotel. Was also about a 30 minute walk to the Moulin Rouge which we decided to walk home from one night. We felt extremely safe in this part of town and found a small store 1 minute away where we could get snacks, food, wine, liquor, beer and anything we might need. Also a number of nice corner cafe's within a couple of minutes. There wasn't much that wasn't within a 5 minute walk.

"Nice Quiet Hotel "
LorraineT118, 10 Juin 2018

We stayed here for 5 nights. Modern well appointed room. Not huge but well designed. We had a view of the street which was nice. Traffic noise at night but then this is a bustling city. We slept with the French doors open and it didn't keep us awake (all that walking!). Complementary water in the room on arrival but this was not replaced each day which was a shame. There was water in the mini bar but at €2:50 for a small bottle not cheap! Bathroom is behind a frosted glass sliding door so you need to know your room mate quite well! Breakfast selection brilliant and plentiful. Good location a 5 minute walk to nearest metro station - Europe. Pleasant friendly staff Overall a very nice hotel

"Clean Hotel"
Vikaskap, 08 Juin 2018

Nice hotel. 5 minutes walk to the metro station. Decent breakfast, not any fruits available in breakfast during our 3 nights stay. Roomsare bit small. Front desk staff were also helpful. Overall Had a comfortable stay.

"Nice hotel"
Elaheh E, 06 Juin 2018

The hotel is location is just ok ,it is near metro station but for getting your location you have to change a a lot of lines so it is really difficult to use metro in paris, especially when most citizen didn't understand english The room was clean The breakfast was not bad but it was better in 8am than 10am because some food didn't replace after finishing Some reception staff were really good but some were really impolite!!!

"Nice hotel, but..."
Aleksandar S, 06 Juin 2018

Hotel is nice and location is very good. You have a metro station 5 minutes from the hotel. However the rooms are really small and they charged us 10€ for leaving luggage at the hotel for a few hours after we checked out. Breakfast was very nice, but they don't serve any vegetables. Another thing I noticed is that entire staff is white, except for cleaning ladies who are all black.

"Very, very pleasant!"
Bogdancomanescu, 29 Mai 2018

We spent 3 night in this hotel. It was very, very pleasant. The rooms are small (it is in Paris) but very nice, very clean and very well organised. The employees were very nice and helpful. It is very close to the metro stations. The neighbourhood is very quiet and with a lot of small restaurants where the locals take dinner so the food is good.

"Family birthday "
kirstyd5, 28 Mai 2018

This hotel is brilliant! The rooms are small but who cares!? All u do is sleep in them and wash to go back out to explore the beautiful city you're visiting!! .. and what's even better is that after a full day out (in a heatwave!) when we got back to the room the heating has a low setting which turns out to blow cold air making the room feel cold PLUS it's cleaned everyday and fresh linen is left .. so u can have a fresh shower and get into a clean made bed.. !! What more could u want? Why people moan about the size of things on here amazes me...If you want large hotel rooms either A) don't stay in Paris and B) pay a LOT more money to have this!! Simple ..there is a hotel 5 minute walk from this one that is more than DOUBLE the cost and the rooms are the same size Staff lovely and polite and very helpful, we booked a few taxis which were prompt and reasonable Tea and coffee replenished every day .. The breakfast looked great although we didn't eat here. Off licence and Fruit shop opposite! Plus local bars surround the hotel Local metro is Europe To walk to champs Elysee .. 20 mins.. brisk To walk to Eiffel Tower .. 45 mins Loved our trip and would definitely stay here again

"Top quality hotel in the Champs-Élysées"
diogocanelas, 23 Mai 2018

Right in the Champs-Élysées. This is a wonderful hotel with an excelent location to explore Paris. The hotel as a classic vibe but you will notice that it was renovated not a long time ago. The rooms are a little bit small but very comfortable. The decoration, inside and outside, has Paris written all over. The staff was very nice. Will definitely comeback soon. Recommended!

"Charming hotel"
Ella W, 22 Mai 2018

My husband and i absolutely love this hotel. It's in the 8th district which is the more quiet affluent section of Paris. The locals are super nice and it's around €20 for a cab ride to the Louvre. The front desk is absolutely superb. If you are American...heads up, this is Europe, the rooms and elevator is small. Again. The hotel is beautiful and has an amazing history. I highly suggest it.

"Such a delight!"
cutily, 14 Mai 2018

This was my second time at le Swann and I really love this hotel, unfortunately I will be moving back to Paris so will no longer need to book a hotel room but I will ask my family and friends visiting to book this hotel as a priority. The single room is really comfortable with great attention paid to the details (the Madeleine is everything). The bed is very comfortable for a good night sleep. And the complimentary coffee and tea are very good. The overall deco of the hotel is really amazing. The breakfast was also enjoyable, although I thought it was continental, scrambled, boiled eggs and sausages were available. The staff is attentive, helpful and really personable. This hotel is a gem.

"Brilliant Hotel"
elizaval, 03 Mai 2018

I really like this hotel. Some reviewers have commented on the "small rooms". To be fair to the hotel, this is very common if you choose to stay in the city and it's location is great. The Literature theme adds a special touch and makes the hotel unique. The decor and furnishings throughout the hotel is of a very high standard and is welcoming. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was serviced daily and was always cleaned to a high standard.

"Decent hotel in a good location"
Drishti J, 19 Avril 2018

Just a block away from St. Lazare train station, this hotel is in a good location. The neighborhood is lined with groceries, laundromats and restaurants. We booked a "Superior room" for $92 per night through Agoda.com. The room was smaller than what it looked like in the pictures, but it had a very cozy and comfy feeling especially watching it snow outside. The bathroom space was even smaller so once you're in there, there isn't much room for movement. But the room was very clean and serviced regularly. The house keeping staff was also very polite. We had requested for a cab service and they arranged it without any hassle. The cab driver too was punctual. Overall, a good hotel for a short stay!

"Average stay"
Ben_Hewitt, 06 Avril 2018

The hotel did everything you need out of a city break. It is fairly well located with a lot of stuff around it while being fairly close to the city centre. It is also located close to the metro which is handy for getting around quickly. The room was quite small and almost felt like a spare room. It was presented well and well maintained which is the most important thing. The setting was very nice around all the old French architecture. All in all a decent stay and did everything we required it to albeit a little small.

"RUDE FRONT OFFICE< NO RESPONSE TO EMAILS"
jay1990jay, 05 Avril 2018

I have booked this hotel online for my visit to Paris. I have been instructed to ask the Hotel for confirmation of my fully paid booking in August. Laurent on the front desk is not helpful at all, when asked to speak to his superior he said he does not have one. I asked to speak with the manager on Duty and his reply was he is on holiday he will be back in 2 weeks? All I am asking for is confirmation of a booking I have made but I am not getting any response from this hotel. Can almost not believe this.

"Nice location"
Micheline T, 22 Mars 2018

Nice and clean hotel with very small rooms. More than enough if you want to spend few nights in paris . Staff are very nice and helpful .the toilet door is transparent ??. Neighbourhood is awesome. Many restaurants around and very close to the train station.

"Close to the trainstation Saint-Lazarre"
DoCamandro, 20 Mars 2018

The room disposition was odd to me. You enter the room and the first thing you see is sink, the toilet and the shower. You have just entered the bathroom. Then you open a door and you find your bed with a window. Although the room was much smaller than I was expecting, where I barely had a place to put down my suitcase, the bed was nice and comfortable and the room was tidy. The breakfast had many different options: - Oranges so you could squeeze your own natural juice with the machine at disposal. - Different kind of bread and croissants. - Two machines with plenty of coffee offers: Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino, etc. - Cereals and Muesli. The hotel service was very nice and friendly. Would definitely stay again at this hotel.

"Beautiful Hotel"
Andrew P, 15 Mars 2018

We booked four nights at the hotel without reading any previous reviews. The front desk staff are so helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean everyday. Bed slightly hard but still fine. Fantastic location for restaurants, metro, laundrette up the road, shops all nearby. We will defiantly stay here again when in Paris. 10/10 for Service and value!

"Themed hotel, well designed"
MFiVienna, 01 Février 2018

Themed around French writers, this hotel is very well designed, with careful thought given to the use of every cm. The staff are attentive and the facilities are spotless. Be wary of using the internet however as it is not secure. Also the fire exit staircase , has piles of paper stored at ground level. This should not happen!

"Book with confidence at the Best Western Premier Le Swann"
CarrieJo_01, 07 Janvier 2018

The Best Western Premier Le Swann hotel is updated, clean, and convenient to the Metro. The hotel has a restaurant & bar as well as room service. Plus, there are several cafés, pubs, and a supermarket nearby. The neighborhood felt safe as we walked throughout it during the day and evening. We booked the superior room for a 4 night stay and had plenty of room. The room was large by European standards. The bathroom was modern. The in-room safe is a good amenity. The hotel staff was very helpful. They patiently worked to overcome language barriers to help us with our sight seeing plans and to teach us how to use the Metro to get around Paris. They even let us check in early on the day of arrival when we stopped in to store our luggage. The hotel is located in the top of the 8th arrondissement near the 17th. It's close enough to walk to some tourist attractions, but far enough away to be out of the masses of tourists.

"Clean and modern"
MartinSowersby, 06 Janvier 2018

A very nice clean and quiet hotel. A walk down Rue de Rome takes you pretty quickly to Place Madeleine. Yes, the rooms are tiny but Paris is that way. Good design makes up for the size. And good value for money.

"Convenient location but tiny room"
Jesuislafille, 04 Janvier 2018

We travelled with 2 mid size luggages, and there was barely any floor space to walk. The bed is comfy but I felt that it's smaller than a Queen size bed. Nuxe toiletries were given, Nespresso capsules, good tea selection. Room is clean. Getting to the hotel by train from airport is also quite convenient with escalators equipped stations. Accessible to major attractions in Paris as well

"Nice Hotel"
Neco D, 04 Janvier 2018

Stayed in this hotel with my wife and son during our short European tour last month. Rooms are big and very clean including the toilet. Staff was also very helpful and friendly. There is also free wifi internet, complimentary coffee and tea in the mini bar. Location is good near convenience stores, restaurants, bus stop and the Europe subway station (although I would warn everyone that there are a LOT of pickpockets roaming around these stations and they are very easy to identify and I am very surprised why the police and the government agencies seems to be doing nothing about this problem). Better take the bus instead or maybe a taxi. To the management and staff of Best Western Premier Le Swann, thank you for being part of a short but great vacation with my family there in Europe. I will recommend your hotel to our friends planning to drop by your very beautiful city. More power and Mabuhay from the Philippines Neco D.

"Hotel in good location but rooms tiny"
macmill, 01 Janvier 2018

Hotel is within 30 minutes walk of most of the main attractions and being near st Lazare station there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby, hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the room was well nicely decorated modern and clean as well as well equipped and the beds very comfortable. However I booked through a booking website and didn't notice that the room was 13m square, quite frankly if I had I wouldn't have booked this hotel, this room is the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in there was literally about a foot at the end of the bed and my husband and I were dancing round each other to get dressed as there was no room. The twin beds were pushed together. The hotel photos have certainly been taken from a very interesting angle, there was a desk and chairs In our superior room (which is a standard room) but not enough space to actually sit at the desk. My husband says there wasn't enough room to swing a mouse let alone a cat! In addition the bathroom was separated from the bedroom by a glass sliding door which had gaps at the top so absolutely no privacy, you need to be sharing with someone you don't mind being intimate with. I would agree that the size of the rooms really don't put this hotel in a 4 star category. Worth noting Paris is very expensive so the buffet breakfast which we didn't have is worth considering as a cup of coffee is 6 euros in most cafes.

"wonderful hotel"
Rieki C, 18 Décembre 2017

Very good hotel, breakfast exellent for Paris. Very good bed, only the room is very small. But staff friendly. Location very convenient. Its a hotel where Marcel Proust has lived so there is a lot to remind us of him.

"Good Hotel"
pacha3999, 13 Décembre 2017

This hotel is away from the city but its clean ad has nice bed. The hotel stingy when come to replenishing the water, soaps and buns on the subsequent days. Good front desk service. The hotel is close to the Metropolitan Station - Europe, so its very convenient to travel but the station Rome is far away if you are coming from Gare De Nord.

"Comfortable, clean, and conveniently located"
Shannonlg, 12 Novembre 2017

The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable. The staff was helpful and patient with our litany of questions about the metro. (We were delighted to find that this hotel was perfectly located with easy access to no less than 3 different metro lines.) The breakfast was a delicious buffet of hot and cold items. Recommend booking through the hotel website.

"Avoid this hotel"
Bogard C, 26 Octobre 2017

Avoid this hotel if you can. Not worth 4 stars. Room is sooooo tiny!! Staff members are indifferent and aloof. They don't have any customers service at all. This is a 2 stars hotel. Please do not over pay. Only worth €98 at best. I strongly advise travelers to avoid this hotel. Nothing to like here. Plenty nearby hotels and same price. They buy their ratings.

"Spotless!"
Keith n Elaine J, 02 Octobre 2017

Well located hotel, being part of the Best Western group, you know it won't be a let down. Clean and tidy, lovely decor. Our bedroom wasn't massive but the wet room section was as big as my garage!! Great interaction with the hotel staff. Breakfast is well worth having. Hotel is strongly associated with Marcel Proust, with lots of personal correspondence on display. For 'Prousties' if there is such a thing, Le Swann would prove priceless

"Shocking "
Adam F, 02 Octobre 2017

The staff can't be bothered to help you. Apparently if you request something and they don't see it then it doesn't matter. The manger is rude and has no respect. The hotel it's self is ok. But I will not be staying here again for the price and service I would rather stay somewhere they are friendly and helpful.

"Mr"
Peter J, 27 Septembre 2017

Rooms clean friendly staff at reception made is feel welcome and gave me my tickets to bayern Munich against psg tonight rooms on small side but then this is paris not dubai but practical clean fresh espresso machine good size tv and and near subway and surrounding streets look clean and blds so happy with our choice so far

"We loved our stay"
Shiloh13, 24 Septembre 2017

We enjoyed staying at Premier Le Swan the room was clean and comfortable, safe area, stylish hotel and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Good location, just wish it was closer to the city center.

"Tiny"superior" doubles made for short stay business"
Kaz P, 22 Septembre 2017

The poor rating is for lousy value. I stayed in another 4 star last night for work and it was perfect at half the price! Here the room is so tiny that it only fits one bedside table, the cupboard doors can only open partway due to the bed which is a small 160cm double bed, there is no room to have a suitcase. Nicely done and sort of stylish and nice staff so a decent place for a business stay on an expense account- NOT for couples on a holiday.

"Lovely Hotel and Great Location."
stevesI5735XI, 15 Août 2017

We booked this hotel at the last minute after being let down by another hotel. Lovely small boutique hotel, out of the tourist madness, but close to the Metro and we also walked a few times to tourist locations as well. The rooms are very very small and so if they want to keep that boutique feel they will need to keep up with maintenance, and the toilet area you need to decided which way to side step in. (Really that small) The room had a Nespresso machine, but it was very nosey for an early cup, and the Mugs do not fit in the machine. The shower was not as powerful as I would expect of a hotel, but maybe this may be due to potential flooding as the bathroom was small. We did need to move rooms due to an issue, but the hotel staff were very helpful.

"The decor is wonderful!"
SKSC, 25 Juillet 2017

Stayed here for 4 nights before moving on to another hotel in Paris. I didn't have high expectations before I arrived (being a Best Western and all). I was simply delighted when we arrived at the hotel after getting off the chunnel from London. The pictures on their website do not do justice to the place. Greys and black were the predominate colours and they worked well. There is a small lobby to the left as you enter the hotel. To the right is the bar, and then the breakfast room. BREAKFAST The breakfast was quite good. For 9 Euros, you get various types of juices, pastries (including croissants) and different types of breads. There was also a variety of jams/jellies. There was fresh fruit and hot beverages (hot chocolate/tea/coffee/expresso) There was a very lovely selection of cheeses and the hot stuff included: scrambled eggs, ham, sausages. THE FRONT DESK The people were very professional, but they couldn't speak very much English. I found my French was as good as their English, so there you are. Upon check in, we wee informed that we had the largest room in the hotel. Now this made me feel pretty good seeing that I know most Paris hotel rooms are very small. THE BAR There is a lovely lady that works the bar, and her English is excellent. Great service, but rather pricy.. Good selection of spirits/wine/beer and a cozy place to drink in. THE ELEVATORS SMALL...I mean REALLY small. Will fit 2 people only, or 1 person with 1 piece of luggage. Elevator was lined in what looked like grey rubber (kinda funky). THE HALLWAYS SMALL, so much so that you can't walk 2 abreast. FITNESS FACILITY There isn't one OUR SUITE Strangest room I've ever stayed in (I"m attaching the pictures, you judge for yourselves) Opened the door and there was our bed and patio doors to our private terrace. Then there was a very long hall way that contained a desk, mini bar and closet. There was also a single bed in the room. At the end if this hallway was the bathroom. The hallway was so narrow that only 1 of us could walk down it at a time. So if you wanted to go to the WC, the other person had to stay where the bed was. Our terrace was very nice but the doorway to it was 2 feet off the ground. Both my husband and I fell when attempting to re-enter our room. Kind of a death trap of sorts. Could see the Eiffel Tower from the terrace and enjoyed the evening sparkles from it! Bed was a king and very comfortable. We got a good nights sleep and the hotel is very quiet. THE AREA Not much around. There is a fruit & veg place across the street and about 3 restaurants across the street. This is a very quiet area and no shopping around. You must walk several blocks to find any foot traffic or banks. There is a great little grocery store selling wine/beer/food/milk etc.) just a block up on same street as the hotel. The only thing that made me feel kind of uneasy was the fact that the front door to the hotel had to be activated by the people at the front desk. This concerned me because I wondered what kind of people they were trying to keep out? CONCLUSION It was as very unusual place and having said that I would stay here again, but probably won't because it was just too far away from the things/places we wanted to see.

"A wonderful refuge"
lbruseker, 17 Juillet 2017

My wife, grand daughter and I stayed at Best Western Premier Le Swann for five nights during a heat wave in July. Each day the temperature was over 34 C, around 95 F. When we came back to our room, the air conditioning was working perfectly, in the lobby, the lounge and especially in our room. It was delightful and allowed us to cool down our over heated bodies. We had a suite but it was non to large however it served our needs very well. A full hot buffet breakfast was available for an additional 15 euro each. it proved to be full value for the price. We tried a restaurant and paid 14 euro for much less quantity and quality and we also tried the continental buffet at the next door Ibis hotel, but Le Swann's buffet was the best. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I found it a bit odd that the bar was not open on the weekend, but there were certainly many options in the neighborhood where one could get a drink. We used Uber a lot to get around Paris but we took notice of the close by train station and metro stop. The hotel is in the eighth district which makes it close to many attractions. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Great boutique hotel"
DoozeUK, 07 Juillet 2017

We got put in here after being moved out our original booking due to our rooms being flooded. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is small but unique is he way I would put it. You don't need much real estate if your sleeping over. Wouldn't want to use it if you were there for a period of time to relax and there was two of you. It's a great find thought and will be back next time we need a hotel in the area.

"Nice stay"
Yen Sheng C, 04 Juillet 2017

Modern rooms that look like they have been recently upgraded. A surprise from the external facade. However quite tight on space. Should be comfortable for 2 anytime... Note the elevator is quite small and pretty slow so you have to be patient.

"Amazing Hotel if you don`t required a spacious room"
Fábio S, 26 Juin 2017

This hotel is amazingly located - close by the Gare Saint-Lazare train station, and the Paris Opera. You can find interesting restaurant and mini markets options in a walking distance. Newly reformed. The rooms are charming, and the Proust themes gives it an unique personality. However they are quite small. You can accommodate yourself in a good way, if traveling with no more than a large suitcase. The service desk personnel is really polite and ready to help at any time. Perfect for your first trip to Paris.

"Perfect for a short trip"
lauralauralaura88, 26 Juin 2017

I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was very good price point and the location is great. It is 2 mns walk from the metro (stop called Europe) and 5 mins from another metro and 7 mins from another metro. In Paris as long as you are near a metro it is a good location. I got a lot of Uber's too as was tired/raining and it cost 12 euro to the Eiffel Tour and 6 euro to the Louvre, so this is another option too. The bedroom is extremely small but totally fine for what you need. TV/Nespresso machine/bath etc so very nice. Main point is if you are travelling with a big suitcase you could have a hard time with this hotel or maybe you can upgrade room as I had a standard room and if I had a big suitcase it would not fit. We only had two small hand luggage suitcase and it was fine. The hotel is very safe and they have the automatic doors locked and reception need to press a button and open it for you.

"Perfect for us"
Sunrize12, 21 Juin 2017

Just returned from four night stay at the Premier Swann. Unsure of mixed reviews, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms are small, but very well appointed. We even had a lovely little balcony. Service was very nice and I loved the Nespresso machine in the room. Bed is comfy and linens are soft. Wine shop across the street was also quite handy! Only suggestion would be to change shower door to prevent water leaking on bathroom floor. We loved our quiet neighborhood in Paris and felt very safe at night. Would return in a heartbeat!

"Hotel Near Gare Saint Lazare Station"
LeiLoves2Travel, 05 Juin 2017

Le Swann is just an alright hotel. Decent size room compared to most hotel rooms in Europe but small in North America. Shower/bath tub is decent size as well. I like that they provide bath salt as well so you can really enjoy a warm bath after strolling around Paris. Wifi connection in the room was fine. What I kinda didn't like about my experience here was when I was checking out, I had a bill for breakfast. I didn't know that it wasn't part of my booking. It was kinda misleading info when I checked in. Typically when breakfast is extra charge, hotel staff would inform you that it is for a fee. And, if its part of your room package, they would tell you where they serve it... other than that, it was okay. I stayed here for few nights since it is a short walk (about 10-15mins.) to Gare Saint-Lazare station. This is like a central station for metro, Euro train, bus...So, this is where you want to be especially when you plan to do some day tours outside Paris. The Metro is in the mall so that's a plus. The Haussman Grands Magasins, La Fayette is walkable as well. There's also a Kabob, burger joint next to it.. Area seemed safe (although, there were lots of homeless people around next to the station/mall area). I walked by myself at night with no problem. On other note, I think the area is somehow musically inclined neighborhood since I saw few music stores that sell musical instruments... Would I recommend this hotel? Uhm, I'm not sure...Location is good, room is decent, bathroom is alright, breakfast was alright (but this is extra charge), staff was so-so... To be honest, I'm torn....If you want to be in the Central public transport accessible location, I would stay here. Although not the greatest, it isn't the worst either. But, if you don't need to be close to the station, maybe book somewhere else. This is a late post. I stayed on Dec. 2016

"Great Hotel, Convenient Location, Small Rooms"
bdahl, 04 Juin 2017

An amazing solid 4 star hotel! We got a deal for $110 US a night. Our fourth floor room was small but had a balcony and fit our two 22 inch rolling bags and weekenders.(Fitting any other luggage in the room would have been tough- we were traveling light because we know space is a commodity in Europe) We expected this as the room measurements are listed on the website. If you require a larger room, book and pay for the size. If you pay the least expensive rate, expect a small room. The room is modern in decor with great linens, bath products and an espresso machine. House keeping was excellent. The metro station was 2 blocks away in a safe and quiet neighborhood and all major attractions are an easy 15-30 minute metro ride typically requiring no more than 2 connecting trains. We used Uber a couple of times from the hotel also and pick up was within 3 minutes. The staff was kind and spoke English and helped with any requests. You can also have a complimentary cup of espresso in the sitting room in the lobby as they have a machine there. Great hotel! For the amount paid this is a great value and definitely solid 4 star accommodations.

"Terrible customer care"
Jim C, 02 Juin 2017

The hotel would have been best advised to have left the store room  as it was rather than turning it into a bedroom. Once entering the 'room' you walk past the toilet and shower to reach the bed area. A sliding glass door being the only thing that separates the two parts. Once in the bed area, any larger person would have difficulty circumnavigating the bed. I arrived for breakfast at 07:00, and amazingly the scrambled eggs were already cold and worse still, made from powder! As I was not personally paying for the room, I decided to put it down as a bad experience, and make sure never to book there again, but that all changed at the checkout. The older staff member asked me politely if everything was alright with my stay, and I raised the issues above. At this point the manager? Charef butted in and informed me the room was small because it was a single and that he had eten worse eggs elsewhere! When I mentioned that they were powdered, his reply was 'Well they are everywhere aren't they?'. I politely suggested he should take a customer complaint seriously, to which he continued to argue his case. At no point did he try to understand or help me with my complaint. May I suggest Mr Charef goes on a long overdue customer care course and that the Chef learns to crack an egg or two! The one positive note, the evening barmaid was both professional, friendly and polite.

"Worst 4 star Rooms ever "
joao c, 29 Mai 2017

I often stay close to our offices in Paris and I have stayed in this area a lot. This has to the smallest room ever. To use the desk you need to more the bed against the door. To open the door you need to push the bed against the desk. There is no place to open your suitcases. The lady at reception was kind enough to give an upgrade to a room more like the pictures on internet. I use SPG a lot as travel and this is really the bottom of the pit.

"Swann-ing about Paris"
James_YLB, 27 Mai 2017

Just a five minute walk from the Saint Lazare station and its nexus of train, Metro, and bus links, but on a relatively calm avenue, Le Swann is an elegant boutique hotel that just happens to belong to the Best Western family. The staff are adorable--they seem genuinely delighted to greet you each time you pass through the lobby. The hotel décor is all about Marcel Proust, with images of the author and his characters all over the place, and with an impressive library of works by and about Proust. Each room is named for a character and features artwork reflecting that thematic choice. Our family room overlooking the interior courtyard was calm, cool, and gave our son his own room and TV. (The full bath they managed to squeeze in required some gymnastics, but we decided that was part of the hotel's charm.) Great breakfast buffet in the quirky dining room. We loved Le Swann--no French literature degree required for you to as well!

"Confortable, nice staff and well located for Business trip"
MacaronProd, 23 Mai 2017

Every time I travel for business, I like to go to Le Swann. Rooms well furbished, really good Wifi to work (never had any prob), clean everywhere and nice staff. It's really well located as well, middle of Paris close to the train station St Lazare.

""musical" location"
68efc79, 21 Mai 2017

it was a great opportunity to have stayed at this themed franchised hotel-literary hotel. i became an instant proust literature reader because of the readily available original collection of works and the displays of pictures, sketches and posters inside this wonderful hotel. this wonderful hotel is surrounded by musical instruments stores, rooms are small, decent and cozy with modern amenities. breakfast was tasty and worth paying 15 euros. thumbs up for all the excellent staff and will definitely stay here again

"Very Nice place to stay at a reasonable price!"
apipoulaie, 17 Mai 2017

Very interesting place with a lot of references to Marcel Proust. The hotel has been refurbished recently and every room is brand new. Some M Proust books are available to read in various languages in the lobby.

"Business Trips"
SamanthaF, 09 Mai 2017

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last few weeks for business purposes. Rooms are tiny, but very well appointed. Noise is minimal and the breakfast is very good. During my last 5 day stay in late April, there was a mini heat wave and the room was very hot, I attempted activate the A/C but was told that it is not switched on until the end of May. For this reason, I am not staying there in all of May as I was unable to sleep with the room so hot. Staff are lovely.

"Lovely stay in Paris"
wouterd400, 24 Avril 2017

We stayed 2 nights in this cosy hotel, a half hour walk from the charming Montmartre quartier (lots of nice restaurants there!). Staff was friendly and helpful. Elegant lobby and bar/breakfast area. Our room was stylish, cosy and not overly small, except for the bathroom. It was literally impossible for me to get into the shower, my wife just barely made it. (I'm not the slimmest man in the world, but not the biggest either...). Hint: make the shower door swing outwards, instead of inwards. The little French balcony with view over the Sacre Coeur was a nice bonus. Choice and quality of breakfast was very good. Overall a beautiful and charming place to stay in Paris.

"Paris Marathon weekend with family and friends "
Kathryn R, 12 Avril 2017

We stayed at this hotel over the Paris Marathon weekend as two of us were taking part. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly through out the trip. The rooms were slightly small but I think that is very common in Paris and we didn't plan to spend a huge amount of time in the rooms so that didn't really bother us. All the rooms I saw were decorated beautifully and had large doors which could open to the outside, as it is in a slightly quieter part of Paris this doesn't create too much noise either. The showers were very nice, unlike most hotels, there was power behind the water. Our room had a bath, as did one of the others but the other two didn't. I am not sure why as we all paid the same price but apart from the two of is who ran no-one wanted a bath anyway. The toilets are very small, even for me at 5ft but we made a joke of it. Another room only had a glass door for their toilet so if this is something which could bother you make it known when you book. The beds are very comfortable and made for a good night's sleep. It is very easy to get around to all the main sights from the hotel as a metro is nearby and if you like walking you would be able to reach the main attractions within around an hour or so depending on walking speed. I would recommend this hotel, it is clean, well priced and staff are very accommodating.

"paris marathon with friends"
EvelynR R, 10 Avril 2017

We had a fantastic stay in the best western preminer swan last weekend for the Paris marathon. We were a group of six ,the hotel staff were amazing from greeting us to us leaving and after. The choice for breakfast was wonderful plenty of everything. Rooms a little small but beautiful . We had two metro trips nearby which was easy getting around especially for the marathon. One of my friends forgot his passports in the safe in his room and didn't raise this until we were at the aerport, we rang the hotel and they sent them on by taxi we can't express our gratitude enough Hats off to this hotel and the brilliant staff look forward to seeing you again soon.

"Honeymoon "
Rebecca M, 28 Mars 2017

We visited the hotel on our honeymoon this month, we had a lovely stay hotel is beautifully decorated and styled. Staff are lovely, rooms very clean with nepresso machine which is a lovely touch, have read a lot of the reviews says rooms r tiny our room was on the 4th floor (think it was room 411) it was very large and spacious this was due to us being upgraded as we were on honeymoon but there r large rooms available. Lovely continental breakfast (small hot selection)the hotel is a 5 minute walk to the closest metro station which u can get to all the major sights from, also only a 10 minute walk from the closest tour bus stop. Great stay we would love to come back.

"Perfect Air Con"
dec0hen, 15 Mars 2017

I've stayed here 3 or 4 times while on business. It's a nice area, safe at night, central and just outside the main tourist drag. The hotel itself is nicely decorated, very clean with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. As always in Paris the rooms are quite small but very quiet, incredibly given it's proximity to St. Lazare station.I didn't have the breakfast but it's standard fare common to other Best Western Hotels. If you shop around and get this at at a decent price you'll be hard pushed to find anything better in the 8th or 9th.

"Beautiful location"
Ebest21, 12 Mars 2017

Considering this is a 4 star hotel the room was nothing special and tiny. Nice amenities such as Nespresso in room, but there was no room for the suitcase rack except in front of the closet doors. Wi-fi was always disconnecting. The Marcel Proust concept was very cool...good for literary types that know or are into history. If I hadn't just stayed at a 2 star hotel that was equally as nice near the Arc de Triomphe I would have rated perhaps higher. Save your money and stay at Princess Caroline for less. Go out for dinner with the money you save!

"Nice hotel with convenient location and cosy rooms"
Bhavesh M, 18 Novembre 2016

This is a themed hotel that has very comfortable rooms and good service. The hotel has a bar and restaurant and the ambience is simply amazing. The only issue is that the Wifi seems to have a poor setup, atleast for me it didn't work on both my phones.

"Practical, well located hotel"
Boli C, 02 Novembre 2016

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in October 2016 on a weekend trip to Paris. In terms of location it is well placed in the 8th arrondissement - close to metro stops served by lines 2 and 3, as well as the St Lazare station which has even more connections. It is equally close to the Opera and to Boulevard Haussmann, where there are many large department stores. In short, it is centrally located and safe The hotel itself is fairly modern inside, well furnished and functional. Yes, the rooms are fairly small, but not the worst. We had a standard room and this came with a safe, an nespresso machine, a good size desk, a decent closet, bathrobes, etc. 2 main downsides were as follows: 1. The bathrooms. While they are very modern and well equipped, the door was a frosted glass sliding door (which wasn't that frosted so you could see right through from either side). Not a problem if you are a lone traveller or a travelling with someone you are very comfortable with, but I would not recommend this for instance to a couple on a their first romantic getaway! Steam from the shower, odours and sounds from the bathroom are pretty much unavoidable...just something to bear in mind. Secondly, there is double glazing but even when closed there is still some noise from teh main street. We had a street facing room with a balcony onto Rue Constantinople. It didn't bother me too much but if you are a light sleeper, ask for a quieter room. Everything else was fine - we were well received at check in (early check was possible about 2 hours ahead of time), concierge(s) spoke English, breakfast was satisfactory for a 4-star hotel (good buffet but nothing out of the ordinary). Went as a couple and I can recommend it for practical location, pleasant service and value for money compared to nearby places (though we booked via Hotwire). Would not suggest the standard room for more than a weekend or if travelling with big bags as room space was limited.

"Small room Indeed"
baketown89, 29 Octobre 2016

The taxi mistakenly dropped me off to another Best Western hotel which is 100 feet away. So, look up on google map before you go and recognized how the front entrance look like. Priceline stated that this hotel is 4 star. I would give it a 3.0 star and the superior room 2.5 star (being small – see attached photo that a Pringle potato chip can fit between the wall and the mattress, meaning that is how much room for you to walk around the bed). Some other photos from the Tripadvisor review shown a bigger room. I think either it is a bigger room or the angle of the camera view that give an illusion of bigger room. The three hotel receptionist I interacted for the 4 nights stay spoke good English. You could ask for a Paris street map from the receptionist. I was only given one bottle of drinking water on the first day of stay in the hotel room. If you stay for 4 nights you only get 1 bottle of water and not replenished for the next 3 nights. The receptionist confirmed that I have to pay if I wanted bottle water. The bath towels is thick that is a plus point. The Nescafe coffee machine only have two little capsule coffee and two plastic tub of creamers. The housekeeping would not provide more. Room is well insulated staying 20 degree C all night long, despite outside temperature 10 degree C. So I did not turn on any fan or heat. On Sunday all the cafés are closed along the two streets near the hotel except the Lebanon restaurant (50 feet away) called Au Bois D Acacia. If I booked thru the hotel directly it would have costed me 199 Euro(before taxes) but thru Priceline (Tripadvisor link) I paid US$90 (before taxes). Even though I pre-paid the taxes & fees thru Priceline but the hotel still charge me Taxe de Sejour (direct translation is tourist tax but the receptionist insisted it is called city tax). I think this hotel is decent valued compared to the other 5 star hotel Best Western Premier Opera Leige I stayed (US$145 before tax). So I would recommend this hotel which I rated 3 star (Priceline rated 4 star). If my review help you please click the helpful button. Thanks.

"Good location on the right bank"
Marsha S, 26 Octobre 2016

My husband and I stayed here for a week during a group tour of Paris. We actually got here a day before our tour began and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready for an early check in. The staff here were extremely helpful and nice. I liked our first room, which overlooked the street, but the second day we had trouble with the electronic door lock, which apparently could not be easily fixed, so we were moved to a larger room on an interior courtyard. As with other hotels in Paris, the air conditioning was underwhelming, so we spent a lot of time sleeping on top of the duvet. The rooms were dark and quiet though. The breakfast room, on the first floor was very nice, and the food selection was very good. My husband was very happy with the English style pub within easy walking distance, but there were other choices. There are two elevators, which was good as we found the stairs to be narrow and strangely pitched. All in all, a nice place to stay.

"Refurbished, modern, small rooms"
franhirs, 20 Octobre 2016

Good service, refurbished, modern. But room so small that you can hardly move. The bathroom is incredibly small. The small space is not reflected in the price. There is absolutely no place to place your luggage. Very good breakfast.

"Nothing special "
R3m87, 14 Octobre 2016

I spent 1 night in this hotel. It is situated near the station but it' s not a bad location. The problem is that it' s a bit too far from the principal attractions of Paris and if you move by metro, even if there is a stop just at few steps from the hotel, you have to change at least 2 metro lines to reach the city center and the airport (cdg) as well. Anyway, considering the average price of a room in Paris, it is very cheap (just €100,00 for a double room!). The hotel is nice and clean. Rooms are a bit small but well furnished. We appreciated also coffee macchine and madeleine in the room. We didn' t like at all the receptionists' behavior: they struggled to say "hello" and always seemed bored and mess with our presence. They should be more helpfull and smiling.

"Small room with a view"
denieleb, 10 Septembre 2016

We had a small room with a balcony & everything we needed & not over priced for our 14 day stay. Aircon, small fridge, hairdryer, safe, bathroom, coffeepod machine & our bed was comfy. Even though the room is small by Australian standards (& some other guest noise can be heard, from time to time) it was just enough room for the 2 of us. (They could get rid of a few furnishings to make more room) & was serviced everyday. We found the the staff to be most helpful & pleasant with a sense of humour. It is close to the Metro, city bus, food markets, ATM, restaurants, laundry service & cool drinking spots. This is Europe & the rooms are small. The city map they give you is very helpful, Its decor is lovely & there the wifi is good.

"Tiny but functional"
SYCNYC, 10 Septembre 2016

Our room was very small but the bed was really comfortable. Took a cab from Orly and it was a fixed rate of 35 Euros and took uber pool for 28 Euros back to Orly airport. We arrived around 9 AM but our room was already ready so we could check in right away. The location was great. We walked everywhere during our stay except when we visited Versailles which took about 45 mins on trains. There are also a couple of nice bakeries and supermarkets around which was really convenient. It is not the center of town but the area was pretty cool surrounded by a lot of music shops(instruments and music books) and nice local restaurants.

"false advertising"
Kara M, 10 Septembre 2016

if we could spin around in circle you would touch the side walls..... very false reviews rude staff no fire alarms in any rooms except the smoking rooms never again will i stay or advise others to stay no security

"Lovely hotel with beautiful decor"
Al-mod, 09 Septembre 2016

Great little hotel walking distance or a cheap uber ride to everything. The decor is stunning and everything is extremely clean. The rooms are small, but comfortable with a good sized bathroom. The room we had didn't have a view at all, but I think some of the rooms do.

"Decent hotel, terrible staff, very small rooms"
Jatin G, 06 Septembre 2016

Pros - Conveniently located near metro stations, there are a couple of restaurants around the hotel. Cons - (1) Rooms are very small, if you put even your suitcases on the floor there is literally NO room to move around! (2) Bathroom is right next to bed, I could open the bathroom door which lying on the bed. If you are staying with someone in the room and that person is using the bathroom then you can hear all the unwanted noises from the bathroom. (3) Room had a safe but it was at the bottom of the closed. I had to literally lie on the floor to operate it. (4) While checking out, the person at the desk first told me how the person who checked out before me was stealing stuff from the minibar in the room but he cannot say anything to that person. Then he asked me if I took something from the minibar and asked me if he can trust me? TRUST ME!! If you don't trust your customers then better remove minibar from the rooms and have some vending machine. After he was done giving me a receipt of my stay at the hotel, I asked him if "I was done?" (this is a pretty common thing to say if you are in US). On this he responded like "why did I ask such a thing? that definitely means I am hiding something.....did I steal anything?"......he literally asked me if I stole something!!! That was so unprofessional and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Warning to all very unsafe and no security must read!!!"

Me and my girlfriend arrived in Paris very excited as we finally got to our hotel we thought it was a nice boutique hotel having said that on our 2nd day at the hotel we decided to get some lunch after arriving back after lunch we came up stairs to discover our bedroom Door wide open as we thought it was housekeeping to discover there were two men in our room going through our bags how on earth they got in is very Suss as I was shocked these two men in our room were in a possession of a knife and later ran down the stairs dropping there knife on the ground and we ran after them yelling the man at the desk was no help and had no concern telling us this happens I told him to call the police immediately and his response they will not do anything if no ones hurt and when asked about SECRUITY CAMERAS to see if there caught on there his response is the hotel has none after all of this Happend we demanded a refund and a new hotel to go to as they did ironically the following day $253 went missing in my credit card later finding out it was on Mitsubishi car dealership not to mention this disgusting reaction from the man at the from desk this ruined our holiday no one should ever have random people in ur room to steal if it's secure as the doors need a scan card. To even top this off the buffet breakfast is absolutely deplorable and should not be titled a buffet PLS be very aware as this should never happen to no one and the hotel should be disgraced!!!!!!

"21st birthday treat :)"
builder22, 04 Septembre 2016

This hotel which my daughter and I stayed in is exactly what how it describes itself. It is situated a 5 mins walk from the metro, its lovely and quiet yet 3 mins walk away is a square where there are bars and bistro's. The staff were incredibly polite/helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The superior double room was modern, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Our experience at breakfast was nothing more than perfect, from fruit, nuts, breads, pastries, croissants, fresh fruit which you could blend, fresh orange juice, hot bacon, sausage, eggs, cold meats etc etc etc, too much to type, amazing..... Would highly recommend this hotel, we are definitely booking this hotel again next year when we revisit Paris, thank you Le Swann :)

"Cute boutique hotel"
Ayaz H, 19 Août 2016

Wonderful botique hotel in the heart of Paris. Conveniently located between two metro lines. We were with family and had easy access to restaurants, a Marks and Spenser grocery store. The rooms are small but hey this is Paris and for the price it is worth. We were in Paris to enjoy Paris not to be in the room. Staff was very helpful. Contrary to what everyone said about Parisians, I found them to be the most friendliest people I have met!

"Very disappointed"
Donna S, 27 Juillet 2016

My husband and I booked into this Paris hotel for nights recently having travelled from Western Australia via Singapore. The room we had booked was described as a Queen executive. The welcome at the front desk on arrival was not very welcoming, rather haughty and unfriendly. Our room was on first floor. The room was chic but so small, not enough room to swing the proverbial cat. Indeed we found it hard to negotiate enough space for our luggage let alone ourselves. There is a breakfast buffet in the morning which has the typical French style of breakfast and cereals. There seemed to be a mixture of tourists and business types staying at hotel. On our first evening at the hotel, having been out exploring in the local area we decided to have a drink in the bar of the hotel before going out for dinner. The bar area was darkened and there appeared to be no one serving. My husband went off to find out how we could get served. He came back and told me that the bar was closed for a week!!! I was stunned, the hotel was advertising the bar in its brochures yet for some reason, not given, it was closed. How could a hotel in the middle of the Summer tourist season see fit to close its bar?? I would not recommend this hotel to any friends. There must be far better ones in local area with bigger rooms too!

"Lovely little boutique hotel in great location"
steven j, 21 Juillet 2016

The welcome was great. The staff were friendly and spoke great English. The hotel has associations with the author Marcel Proust which made it more interesting. The room was small (like most main city hotels) but well laid out and the bathroom and mastery of space management. Beautifully clean and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.m

"Perfect location in a fab city"
Danny F, 16 Juillet 2016

This hotel is perfectly located. We had booked a junior suit and it is so worth it. The bedroom is separate from the living area and is a good size. The only part I found weird is the bath and shower is open plan in the bedroom, fine if you are a couple but could be awkward otherwise. The location is perfect and is only a 5 minute walk to Gare St Lazare where you can get the metro to anywhere in Paris. The breakfast is lovely and has everything you could want before a days sightseeing. I will deff be returning to this hotel next time I visit Paris

"Very nice Hotel"
Nora H, 13 Juillet 2016

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel this April. the room was small, but we stayed for 3 nights only, so managed the premises well. The location of the hotel is not bad and there are several places in a walking distance. The staff was very nice and complimentary Nespresso in the room was appreciated much. The room was very clean.

"Not trust this Hotel for you LIVE"
maggimalmur, 07 Juillet 2016

I was in Paris with my family to watch a football game, France against Iceland in the EM. We stayed at the hotel from 2. of july to the 4th. We bought the hotel from Hotwire and did not know the hotel beforehand. The hotel bar was closed during the weekends, not a good service but that was nothing in comparison with our terrible experience. We came back from the game on the 3. aprox. 01.00 am and took one of the elevators to our floor. We where 4 adults in a 5 person elevator and it stopped between the 5th and the 6th floor. We pushed the emergency button for about 5 min. before the hotel employee came and we told him that he had to get us out because there was no air inside, brake the door up. He told us that the " elevator is broken, I can not do anything"... and left. We did not have any oxygen inside this small elevator and finally we called 112 and had them on the phone as we broke up the door ourselves after spending about 15. min in the small elevator. We went downstairs to talk to the hotel employee, badly shaken, he was trying to call the elevator service but had not reached anyone yet. He did not ask us who we where or made an apology, just threatened to call the police because we where upset. Next morning we talked to the manager who told us that he could not do anything and his employee did the right thing not opening the elevator door, if he had tried to he could have lost an arm or a leg. We never got that information trapped inside the elevator and could have been amputated! This hotel is not secure and and the staff is not trained to handle difficult situations like this. This is the worst experience I have ever had.

"Very nice hotel"
GudbjorgRG, 06 Juillet 2016

This hotel was very nice. The location was okay, the staff was nice and the room was very clean. The only thing that took me by surprise was how small the room was. I had a small suticase so it was okay but if you´r planing on having a big suitcase it might be a problem.

"Great stay!"
KJ_Kopprtop, 29 Juin 2016

We really enjoyed our stay here! Yes, the room was smaller than what Americans are used to but not as tiny as what I expected from other reviews. We were comfortable. The room was beautiful and very clean. I loved the balcony and being able to open the windows for a nice breeze. With the windows closed, the room was very quiet and relaxing. The neighborhood was really great too with several good restaurants, cafes, stores, and bakeries close by. At night, there were people out and about, but the neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe walking. There were several metro stops conveniently close to the hotel. The staff was all very friendly and very helpful answering all of our annoying questions and even looking up information for us. Our only problem was housekeeping forgetting to replace things like coffee or washclothes, but a quick stop at the front desk got us what we needed. On our last day, our shuttle was late and the front desk clerk called the company for us and resolved the issue quickly.

"Meh"
Josh S, 29 Juin 2016

I was pretty excited to check-in to this hotel upon arriving in Paris after a recommendation from a friend who previously stayed. I probably won't be seeking travel advice from her anymore because this hotel was incredibly underwhelming. Be warned - the rooms in this hotel are TINY. I was travelling by myself, and there was barely enough room for me and my suitcase, the shower was a real squeeze and it genuinely felt claustrophobic. There's an old saying that Paris doesn't have any fat people, but come on! When I have to climb across the bed to get to the other side of the room, it get's a bit much. I had many teething issues with the wifi in my room. Unfortunately I don't remember the exact room number but on multiple occasions I found myself sitting on the floor by the main door to get any internet reception. The food in the hotel is incredibly expensive. Save yourself the money and go to the kebab place at the end of the street where a full meal will cost you €10 or to the Auchan convenience store a few doors down. It's also about a ten minute walk to St Lazare station and there's multiple restaurant and fast food options there. Three stars from me for a comfortable bed, a Nespresso machine in the room and being two blocks away from the Europe metro station which will get you anywhere in the city. The hotel is also within walking distance of the Moulin Rouge, but be weary of some dodgy people that lurk around that area at night. Keep a hold of your belongings and walk briskly! I probably won't be back.

"Very clean and Good food"

"Great for Budget Minded Families"
j_traveler067, 17 Juin 2016

We stayed here family of 5 during the EuroCup 2016 the place is 2 blocks from Europe Metro station, to the left and up street there is a nice grocery store and coin laundry and lots of restaurants around including a crepe place that was amazing. Rooms are small but 2 bed suites have 2 rooms which is unheard of in Paris. Great family place for people on a budget.

"Sleep Vertical"
CuriousTravelerRadio, 14 Juin 2016

In a world of small hotel rooms in big cities, this room sets the standard. If it were any smaller I would need to strap myself to the wall like an astronaut! You literally can barely find a place to put a small bag let alone walk around the bed. I have seen larger closets in hotel rooms. nice location and decent staff, but this is cruel!

"Pleasant stay"
Mate P, 14 Juin 2016

The locations is great, in a quiet area, the hotel itself it modern and the rooms are clean. The bed is comfortable but the room is really too small. It is hard to walk around the bed, have to take care not to take the TV down. The internet was fine, but the tv had mostly french channels. There are lot of restaurant and markets nearby. The reception was really helpful.

"Pretty, great location but incredibly small rooms"
Dea S, 05 Juin 2016

Location: Great location! Walking distance from many restaurants, many metro stations. Can easily walk to Galeries Lafayette and l'Arc de triomphe from the hotel. Rooms: Our room was gorgeous but incredibly small. I'm used to small spaces in Paris, but I had never felt claustrophobic in a hotel room before. We could not even open our luggage without having to rest the suitcase cover on the wall. To give you an idea, there was about 1 metre from the foot the bed and the TV stand and storage, 1m from the right side of the bed and the washroom and less than 1m from the side of the bed and the wall. Our luggage had to be stored in the washroom. Otherwise we could not move around in the room without have to jump over it. Service: The staff was amazing! Very helpful and pleasant. They really made up for the fact that the room was so small.

"Charming and Comfortable"
480teresa, 30 Mai 2016

This is a charming hotel in a nice quiet neighborhood away from the tourist. The room was clean, hot water, linen and towels clean, very comfortable bed. I did not hear any noise even though it is right on the street. The staff were friendly and helpful and a very nice buffet breakfast. I had no problem with the free wifi but some of my group mentioned minor connection issues. Two nice grocery stores only a block away in two directions, a lot of restaurants in walking distance and the metro station only a block away. The rooms are small, but remember this is Paris. I would definitely stay here again. I was traveling solo with a group.

"Ideal location, good quality, good price"
AMB85, 28 Mai 2016

We found this place through TUI. It's a small boutique hotel near Gare St. Lazare, which is ideal for getting all over Paris. The hotel is small but the fitting are very well executed, no cheap or rough paint work or fixtures, everything was really nicely done. The breakfast was also good. Just enough variety. Friendly English speaking staff and a great parking rate at the car park topped it off. Would definitely recommend it.

"Very nice city hotel"
Adam T, 18 Mai 2016

This is a lovely city hotel, a short walk to the city centre or to a nearby metro station. The room a clean and well put together and the bed as big and comfy. The staff were also very friendly and the bar was nice.

"Lovely hotel "
CLR12345, 17 Mai 2016

Stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms are very modern and pretty. Quite small but enough room to fit two suitcases and still be able to move around a bit. Free wifi and lots of cafes around. Front desk staff were lovely and all spoke English. Quiet and safe location. Quick to get to main tourist spots. Breakfast is 15 euros which is pretty expensive, would recommend just going to one of the cafes nearby. Would stay here again.

"Excellent value for money"
JimGunther, 09 Mai 2016

Stayed 3 nights in late April (2016) This would have been a 5-Star review but for two goofy situations ; one minor - one more critical (both, easily fix-able) First: The room (#605) was really nice - much better than expected. Of course, it was - by US standards - small - luggage storage a challenge but very attractive and up-to-date. Lovely and spacious bathroom (no bidet)- We had a French balcony and - distant - view of Sacre Cour. There is construction (and noise) nearby - heck - there's construction EVERYWHERE in Paris - but, such, is not a problem at night - We slept with the door to our balcony open- by necessity. First night our room was quite warm. Try as I might, I couldn't get the Air Conditioning system to "blow cold". The next day, I enquired of the front desk and was told, matter-of-factly- they, "Don't turn-on the A.C until May 1st". I emphasized that our room needed the A.C. right then (to no avail). I also observed that it was pretty cool at the front desk. Hmmmm? As fortune would allow, weather for the next two nights (and leaving the balcony door open) "took care" of the complaint. The other - really petty - issue: There's a nice Nespresso machine (and mini-fridge) in the room. Given that we require more than one "boost" to get started - even before showering - in the morning, I asked one of the desk people to give me a few - NOT DECAF - "cartridges?". The young man at the desk - reluctantly - gave me 3 or 4 with the admonition that they don't usually give "extras" and they are only a "welcome amenity", really? When does a welcome amenity cease to be welcoming? I've NEVER been denied extra coffee at any place in the world. This exchange was odd. Again, we dealt with it by buying a package of 10 or 12 at the local convenience store. To be clear, we were happy with our choice of the Le Swann. The location, the amenities, the decor, the bar/lounge (the young woman there could not be more welcoming)- I hate to see a fundamentally great experience blemished. . We did NOT take breakfast (I could not eat enough all day to justify the expense) but, there breakfast room is as nice as you're likely to see anywhere. BTW: Our WiFi experience - just did e-mail - was adequate. Bottom line: We'd stay at LeSwann again!

"Solid choice, but watch room choice"
apckg, 01 Mai 2016

This is a well-maintained, clean boutique hotel in a good neighborhood. We booked executive room through Expedia. This is supposed to be larger than the regular premium room as the booking said queen size bed. The room (209) had a full size bed and seemed to only be the handicap accessible version of a regular room. When I tried to discuss this with the evening front desk representative I was told I was wrong and that 209 was a indeed executive room and it had a queen sized bed. He was wrong and actually quite rude and short with me. However, to my relief another representative named Consuelo interjected to save the day. She told me she would show me a new room the next morning and that she would include a free breakfast for our trouble. The next day she showed me two rooms, the first being just as small but the second (room 411) was definitely an executive room with a queen sized bed. It goes to show you that good customer service can make a difference. The first rep was not changing our room leaving us with a bad taste for the hotel, however Consuelo's service certainly made our six night visit much better. Bottom line...be careful what type of room you book and which one you actually receive.

"Bien ! "
ginginwu, 30 Avril 2016

The hotel is 10 mins away from a large metro hub, Gare Saint Lazare and 15-20 mins from Galeries Lafayette. The room is well furnished though compact, it also got a nice bed mattress. Staff are very nice and helpful in addressing many of my requests. There are a nice kebab restaurant and a local supermarket nearby the hotel. Worth a visit .

"Small rooms in good location"
Nattermoore, 13 Avril 2016

I have stayed in this hotel a couple of times. This was the first time I actually had a single room. All the rooms in this hotel are tiny. I am not a large person but you really have to squeeze round the bed to move around the room. However they are clean and well appointed. There is a coffee machine, mini bar and room service - all important to the business traveller. Location is good for both seeing the sights and in my case for work.

"Just as perfect the second time..."
Kevin H, 04 Avril 2016

Having had a wonderful stay here last year for the Paris Marathon, me and my wife were keen to book back in for our second shot at the race. I'm pleased to say we were not disappointed with our return. On out arrival the gentleman at the desk was kind enough to give us an upgrade to one of the upper floors which afforded us a glimpse at the Eiffel Tower over the Paris rooftops (Thank you!). The room itself was spotless and the decor the same clean lines as we had come to expect. One thing that has to be highlighted is that despite the relatively central location (near Gare St Lazare, one stop from the Eurostar on RER E), the inside quad many of the rooms look out on is whisper quiet which is welcome particularly at night if you want to crack open a window. On the food front, the breakfast is great with a good selection of cereals and pastries + scrambled eggs as well as a Nespresso Machine on-hand for you caffeine needs. On the day I've typed this, we've decided to come and give the Marathon a third running and will be returning next year to make this our base. We can't wait!

"1st Vacation to Paris"
Maggie S, 28 Mars 2016

This was a very nice & stylish hotel. The rooms in size aren't what we're used to back home as they are small but nonetheless, they were nice & clean with a very comfy bed. The hotel staff was very nice & attentive. When walking outside for our daily stroll of the city, it started to rain & with only one umbrella in hand, the young lady at the reception area noticed & went outside to hand us some umbrellas. Good thing for my husband since he would've been the wet one. : ) Great 1st experience in Paris!!! As for walking, bring some comfy shoes.

"Disappointing end to stay"
C_little94, 22 Mars 2016

I wouldn't normally leave such a scathing review of a hotel but in this instance I think it is appropriate. The hotel itself is perfectly fine to stay at. The rooms are small but this is typical of Parisian buildings, perhaps a drop in price may absolve this problem. Me and my partner enjoyed our stay and the front of house were helpful & polite when we interacted with them however we experienced a disappointing end to our weekend. After checking out, we had left our bags in holding so we could enjoy our last day out in Paris however in our haste to checkout on time (having already been walked in on by cleaning staff 30 minutes prior to checkout) I had accidentally left a few personal items in the cupboard above the mini bar including a photo ID card, train tickets totalling £50+ and at least £20 (more than this but unsure exactly how much) in cash. Upon realising less than a few hours later we cut short our last day in order to go back to the hotel to try and reclaim the goods and get our luggage back to find out that nothing had been handed in whatsoever. I appreciate the part to play my leaving these items in the room had in the ordeal however personal belongings being left by mistake at hotels is a common occurrence and I don't think anyone should have to worry about it being stolen by staff let alone it being less than 24 hours after departure, when we still had items in the holding. My partner has left items in hotels before and had them sent internationally back to him free of charge, and we couldn't even get these items back hours after they were left and I feel people should be aware of this before committing to stay at this hotel.

"Small room but comfortable bed"
Martin R, 22 Mars 2016

I stayed here for the night of 19/03/16 as part of my weekend to Paris to watch England win the Grand Slam rugby match in the Stade de France. The lobby area was bright, clean and modern and the receptionist was courteous and professional. The room itself was very small and I had to squeeze between the bed and the furniture. However, it was well equipped - as was the bathroom, albeit with clear glass doors which was strange! - and the bed was very comfortable, just what I needed after celebrating England's win into the early hours! Breakfast wasn't included in the price but I would probably have been too late for it anyway. But there are several cafes and bakeries within a 10 minute walk. All in all, a good hotel. If only the rooms were a little larger..........

"Great location if you don't mind walking"
Hans V, 14 Mars 2016

We stayed here for my mom's birthday for a weekend trip. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Rooms were small but very nice. The hotel isn't super close to any big monuments but it's about a 15-20 minute walk away from the Champs Elysées or the Sacré-Coeur. If you don't mind walking, the hotel is perfectly placed to go either direction. There are metro's either way if you don't like walking. Keep in mind you're in France and if you go on a weekend, there could be some loud people on the streets. When this is the case (as it was for us), you can hear them quite well. Closing your window will some what solve that, but then the rooms get quite stuffy due to the size of them. Besides this, we loved our stay!

"very cozy!"
370tibu, 06 Mars 2016

Our hotel was so nice. As it was not in the busiest area of Paris, it had nice calm streets and beautiful houses all around. The room was small however this is common in Paris. Besides we were in Paris to enjoy the city, not to sit in the hotel room. Very comfortable bed and nice shower. Staff was very helpful and nice.

"Nice hotel!"
tranquada, 27 Février 2016

We stayed in Paris for a couple of nights at this hotel. It was very clean and well priced compared to other hotels we reviewed for our trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a good location. We found it funny and a good test of our marriage having a bathroom with a glass wall and door. Somethings are better left a secret! We had a small balcony from our room overlooking the street and what else is there to say, other than "I love Paris"! Beautiful city with amazing architecture, culture and food! You won't be dissatisfied in the city of love!

"a stylish hotel"
Peng L, 26 Février 2016

We arrived Paris very late, they offer 24 hours service which is very helpful. The room is compact but well designed, so it feels bright and comfortable, and the bed are great. It's near the Opera and shopping areas. They also offer various food in breakfast time.

"Lovely hotel"
Saul C, 22 Février 2016

Liked this hotel very much. The room and bathroom were tiny but very comfortable, clean and modern. There were nice little touches like the Madeleine cakes in the room (which Proust practically lived on). Breakfast was adequate - not particularly great. Good location near 2 metros (Europe and Rome).

"The Suite Suited Us Nicely!"
Eddie W, 03 Février 2016

Having read trip adviser reviews that the rooms were quite small I booked the suit for a fraction of the price of many of the other four start hotels across the city! Such a lovely hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and answered any request. The bathroom was lovely and the room itself although oddly shaped was just incredible. Best nights sleep I have had in a hotel bed. The breakfast was a bit over priced but then again was more than happy to pay the price to have it in bed.

"A beautiful cozy hotel close to everything"
Rumee, 13 Janvier 2016

A very nice hotel, kind of a boutique hotel. Rooms may be small, but completely functional with good bed and pillows. Bathroom was modern and very functional. 5-7 minutes walk to Metro. 10-12 minutes walk to Lafayette Gallery. On our first day, we walked to Lafyayette's food store - bought baguette, Iberian prosciutto and butter and on my way back, just outside the hotel I found a wins shop and bought a bottle of wine. I didn't spend much, but I had a wonderful dinner in my room. You can go anywhere from the nearby (10 minutes walk) metro. If you go out of the hotel, and turn left and walk for 5 minutes, you're in a square (I forgot the name) where there is a beautiful pastry/coffee shops. There are other coffee shops before that - and, all are good. The restaurants along the roads are good two. I tried two of them and both are good. As I am writing the reviews long after I traveled, I forgot the names of those restaurants. I walked all over Paris from that hotel. Moulin Rouge is 15 minutes walk away. Sacre Coeur Basilica / Montmartre are 12-20 minutes walk away. If you're ready to walk, you can chose this quiet hotel and explore everything. The hotel is modern, good lounge and good breakfast (though expensive), but you can have breakfast at nearby square as mentioned earlier. Stay in a junior suit and also use their service for to/from airport shuttle. I will definitely go back there.

"One night stay"
Worthmoretravel, 09 Janvier 2016

A pleasant little hotel. The rooms are modern in appearance with the main plus point being that the bathroom had a decent shower. Bed was comfortable and there were decent sized towels. There was even a coffee machine in the room. There is a bar which so many of the smaller Paris hotels don't have which was good for a late night drink. Breakfast was of a good standard with a good choice of things to have. Certainly would recommend this hotel.

"Nice hotel near some nice locations in Paris"
Kschertz, 09 Janvier 2016

We stayed 5 nights in January in a Jr. Suite. I recommend upgrading as the suite was about the same size as a hotel room in the U.S. and was very comfortable. The hotel is is a good location with great cafes nearby. It's on a quiet street away from the main touristy areas (which we prefer) but is easily accessible to them. The train station (St. Lazare) is a block away and goes to Versailles. The station also has some quick and inexpensive food places nearby. We walked down in the morning for wonderful croissants instead of paying the 15 euro that the hotel wanted for breakfast. The station itself has some great moderately priced shopping inside as well. Within a few blocks, you come to some major department stores such as Printemps and Galleries Lafayette--make sure you go to the window displays as they are great. We took a taxi up to Sacre Coure and then walked the 1 1/2 miles down do the hotel passing some wonderful buildings and streets. Other places in Paris are easily accessible by taxis (about $7-10). The best Thai curry we've ever had is about 4 doors up the street and I would highly recommend the restaurant. The staff at the hotel was very nice and spoke English. The only criticism of the hotel is that the Wifi was frustrating and slow.

"Very Nice Stay"
Kelly R, 08 Janvier 2016

First trip to Paris, didnt know what to expect. This hotel is located a little ways from main attractions- Eiffel tower etc, BUT the walk to the subway is quick. Along with the Hop off and Hop on bus stops. Hotel was clean, loved the espresso machine the room!!!!!! The staff was friendly. Breakfast was typical, but yummy. The outside doors do get locked at a certain time, but ring the bell and they open it. Didn't spend much time in the hotel other than sleeping and getting dressed. Room size was decent for 2 girls to get ready. Took a cab from the airport to the hotel- which took forever. Took the train back to the airport. Wasnt too difficilt navigating with suitcases. Walking distance to Moulin Rouge as well.

"Paris Trip"
m_offoh, 08 Décembre 2015

Went toParis with a work friend and upon first sight of the hotel (from the outside), we were not sure what to make of it, but once we stepped inside, we were visibly impressed with what we saw. Brilliant decor, lots of artistic pieces (literary, clothing and artwork) are on dislay around the reception, stairway and foyer of the hotel. My room was immaculate and well presented, plenty of space for a double bedroom with great facilities throughout. Staff were kind helpful, spoke perfect English and wereetremely accomoddating to our requests. Thoroughly reccomended to any considering staying here A++

"Great room and nice staff"
GG202, 02 Décembre 2015

The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating! The room we had was very nice and comfortable (although smallish, which is certainly to be expected in Paris). I thouroghly enjoyed our stay and found this to an excellent hotel!

"Lovely hotel!"
Caro D, 29 Octobre 2015

Having read previous reviews online, we had opted to upgrade to a slightly larger room before arriving, and have to say, it was perfect for our three night stay. This hotel has a lovely modern feel about it and wow, the beds were so comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel was within very easy walking distance of three Metro stops! We had an amazing stay in Paris and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Cozy little place"
AirLandSnow, 27 Octobre 2015

We stayed for 4 nights (from oct 18th to oct 22nd). Since we were a couple with child, they were kind enough to upgrade us to a bigger junior suite. Didnt see the other. Good clean rooms, in a location which is a little away from main attractions, but easily accessible by metro or cabs. Has enough bfast/ dinner places around and a small convenience store for all needs. The only put off was bfast, which is fine since you are in paris and hotel bfast is not an option for most.

"Perfect Spot!"
MJTakacs, 22 Octobre 2015

We absolutely loved staying at Le Swann. It was in a great location, close to subway, nice neighborhood, and great restaurants and cafes! The hotel and room were very clean. Yes, the rooms are small but very manageable. We asked to stay on the 6th floor with a view of Sacre du Coeur and they accommodated this - what a great view! I found both Clemence and Damien extremely helpful - recommending amazing places to eat and provide us with maps and directions to get around quickly. We stayed at Le Swann for 4 nights at the beginning of our trip and the last night before coming home - Thank you Le Swann for a great stay!

"Better guest service"
Andrea K, 20 Octobre 2015

Modern and clean hotel. The rooms are a little tight, but this is Europe after all, so it is to be expected. The people working at the concierge desk could have been a little more accommodating. 1. The hotel provides an airport shuttle, that needs to requested 24 hours in advance. Our flight was Monday evening and went downstairs Saturday night to make the reservation. A woman by the name Extra called the shuttle company and after a few minutes, she regrettably told us the shuttle company didn't have any availability for that day and time we had requested. It was a little frustrating because why would you advertise something that you cannot provide? However, the next morning we wanted to try once more this time a gentleman with glasses helped us and he was able to somehow make reservation for the shuttle. 2. I had purchased a pair of shoes that in Paris Saturday, that were still in the box and bag, which I had left by the desk of our hotel room that evening. We checked out of the hotel room Monday morning (and they held for luggage for us) and walked around the city for a bit before our flight, when it suddenly occurred that I did not recall packing those shoes into my suitcase Sunday evening. We went back to the hotel and I asked to check the room again, hoping that they were still beside the desk.. But they were not, so we checked our suitcases once more just to make sure that I hadn't forgotten that I had packed them.. but they weren't in any of our luggage. Immediately, we went to the concierge desk to notify them that one of our items had been missing. The gentleman simply told us the cleaning staff are "forbidden" to touch anything until the guests have checked out of the room and he kept reiterating that line. Well, excuse me reality is everyone is forbidden to do a lot things, but that doesn't stop people from doing it. We always checked the doors before we left to make sure it was locked. Quite possibly it may not have been a staff member. We did notice the door across the hall from us was propped open during cleaning, which is an open invitation for anyone to just slip into the room and take something. What made matters worst, was that we didn't receive any apology. Not everyone in this world is honest, I understand that. But what happened took place at YOUR hotel, that we stayed in. I trusted that my things would be safe in the room I stayed in. The least you could do is show some empathy and say something something to help mitigate the situation. Perhaps there were cameras in the hallway? But he just stared at us dumbfounded and showed a lack of support and provided no resolution. Its unfortunate that something like this happened on our last day in Paris and that it happened here.

"Good hotel centrally located"
Shikhar B, 17 Octobre 2015

I stayed at the Le Swann during a recent business trip. This is a theme hotel focused on the writer Marcel Proust. It is nicely located in Arr. 8 with the metro station and lots of restaurants in easy walking distance. Given that it is in Paris and in an existing building, the rooms are smallish by American standards. But they are clean and modern. The wifi is free though somewhat erratic. Nevertheless I would stay here again.

"Just wonderful..."
sj a, 15 Octobre 2015

A great find... Great space.. Very clean .. Highly recommended.. Service great and a great location .. Paris is easy to get around but it's not far from the station and in the thick of it to get around really easy

"Clean, renovated hotel"
Evil_Yogurt, 12 Octobre 2015

This hotel was renovated and it's in a really good condition. The rooms are spacious and lovely. Wi-fi works great and we had a room with a small balcony which overlooked the streets of Paris, it was an amazing view. There is a metro station not far from this hotel, but you can also walk and get to the center in about 20 minutes.

"good value/ good service"
355songs, 05 Octobre 2015

A well priced better than average hotel of its type Friendly reception and restaurant staff. The rooms are well equipped albeit pretty tight space wise. Everything you need for a short stay. Might not be so good for a longer trip as lack of space become a bigger issue Only ate breakfast but this was very good

" Beautiful Paris"
Gina S, 04 Octobre 2015

good place to sleep , although the rooms are a bit small double room very small single room was better , good breakfast selection ,staff very helpful , asked for directions were able to help , they spoke good English , good walking distance to restaurants and activities loved the Eiffel Tour, amazing . weather suprised me thought that it be warmer but beautiful days.

"Lovely Hotel in Great Location"
Jerah, 30 Septembre 2015

Really enjoyed our time in the Le Swann. Every member of staff we encountered from reception to bar and restaurant were excellent and very helpful. As others have commented, the location is very convenient for the Metro and shopping and you can easily get to the main tourist sites quickly. Le Swann is well worth a considering if you're intending a visit to Paris at any time.

"Great hotel"
Aimée R, 29 Septembre 2015

Great hotel. Good value for money for Paris. Breakfast is good. Location is excellent as it's a 3 minute walk to the nearest underground station which will take you anywhere in Paris. Room and bathroom stylish and really clean. We got given discount coupons for our disneyland visit too!

"Convenient"
BeirutDoc, 24 Septembre 2015

Would recommend this hotel mostly for people looking for four-star accommodation around Gare St-Lazare or close to the opera, since the area is not the most exciting of Paris. For shoppers, it's an ideal location, a few-minute walk from both Galeries Lafayette and Le Printemps. The price was acceptable by Paris standards, and the cost-benefit ratio clearly favourable. As for hotel per se, I was very pleased with my experience there. Modern yet personalised and with an apparent effort to be close to a boutique hotel yet keep a high level of services. The place looked and smelled clean and well kept, with on top an exceptionally pleasant and friendly staff. Things one could work on improving (by order of importance): 1- Storage closets in rooms ridiculously small. 2- Water pressure in the shower exasperatingly weak. 3- Quality of bathroom amenities leaves a bit to be desired for a 4* Best Western. All in all very satisfactory stay.

"Excellent hotel"
francis92Verona, 22 Septembre 2015

I spent there one week with my boyfriend. The hotel is located in a very nice area, in a walking distance from the Opera. Nice and elegant rooms, I was placed on 5th floor with a wonderful view of the area. I fell in love with this hotel! The room was a bit small but perfect for our stay (you won't spend all day in room). The bathroom was clean and brand new. For sure this will be my choice for next stays and I would recommend this hotel!.. from

"Darling but small"
SukeySukey, 16 Septembre 2015

Our room looked out over the street and the buildings on rue Constantinople so we had a very nice view. The room was well appointed but very small(by U.S. standards). The bathroom had a glass wall which was beautiful but one could see into it in some places. If you are a couple that may be ok for you. It was quiet! And the room had A/C. The staff was beyond excellent!!!

"First visit to Paris!"
rtayl, 14 Septembre 2015

We loved this little hotel! Is super close to the Metro(Europe station) and within walking distance of Printemps and the Arc de Triumphe. Room was small but clean and cozy and included a room safe and Nespresso machine. Front desk staff were quite helpful. We didn't eat here as there were quite a few food options nearby. Would recommend!

"Stayed for honeymoon"
Dblock29, 12 Septembre 2015

Great overall hotel, staff spoke english and were very helpful with giving directions and recommendations. Breakfast was excellent. Only issue I had with this hotel was the room service. Room service would remove rags daily and would not replace them. Every single day I had to go down to the front to get a replacement. It was quite annoying. If it wasn't for that I would have rated them higher.

"Great stay - quiet, clean, friendly - but wifi needs improving!"
Habermas, 07 Septembre 2015

We stayed here for 10 nights in August. Overall, we had a great stay. The room was a good size (304) with a closet for clothes and a cubby above the minibar. I think it was the largest in that style of room, according to the floor plan, some definitely looked smaller. Location. The hotel was less than 5 minutes to the Europe stop and not much more to Villiers. A quick (10ish minutes) ride to the Louvre area. Very conveniently located and quiet. There are a few restaurants in the area – with one (Lebanese) right next door that was delicious. There's also a small market just a few doors down the street. The hotel breakfast was okay. It was cheaper than going out (9.50 Euros including coffee), but there wasn't a ton of selection and zero variation. I would suggest introducing a few different items or rotating items a little bit. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. My biggest complaint would be the wifi – the service was terrible. Very slow and you had to keep reconnecting. So many of the reviews here comment on the terrible wifi, but the hotel doesn't seem at all concerned by these complaints. In 2015, reliable wifi service should be pretty standard with any hotel room. Overall, I would definitely recommend the hotel – but with the caveat that they really need to improve their wifi service.

"Cute hotel - good value!"
courtney_meinen, 03 Septembre 2015

This hotel was a great value. Good location for easy metro access. Probably a 15-20 minute walk to major attractions, which we found enjoyable and a nice way to explore the neighborhoods of Paris. Rooms were small (to be expected in Paris), but fine for a long weekend. Loved the decor - cute and contemporary, seems like it was recently re-done. Very clean. Great service. Would stay again if we were looking to save money.

"Quieter street, away from the big tourist attractions"
Brady M, 30 Août 2015

Overall a decent hotel. It's located about a 5 minute walk from the Europe subway station. There are a few little cafes and restaurants situated in the neighborhood. It is about a 10-15 minute subway ride to most of the tourist attractions. As for the hotel the lobby is nice and clean. The staff were pleasant, but we did not converse much with them. Our room was very modern and clean. The room had a/c so sleeping was good. The bed was very comfortable. Storage space was limited. The bathroom was clean, sleek and modern. Also a decent little tv with an abundance of French speaking channels, and 2 English news channels. Overall the hotel was good for us, as two travels with somewhat of a budget.

"Extended weekend break"
JeffBuxton, 27 Août 2015

Stayed at the Le Swan from 22nd August to 26th August 2015. Found hotel excellent , good location easy access to metro at Villiers and Europe underground stations both within easy walking distance. Hotel very clean, staff very pleasant and accommodating. We had a room on the second floor overlooking the Main Street, the room we had was a double, small but quite adequate, with en-suite, tv, and balcony. Breakfast was good served with a good choice of hot and continental breakfast, whilst we never used the bar, there was a good choice. Across the road is a small bistro, and many other restaurants within easy walking distance all with good choice of menu, beers and fine wines.. Where you can sit outside, people watch and watch the world go by. This hotel provided a good base to explore Paris, within easy walking distance of main attractions, metro , opera and theater I would definitely use this hotel again. Good value for money.

"Spotless and excellent value for money"
Sheryltje, 26 Août 2015

Le Swann is a great find! Newly renovated, spotless, quiet, well-appointed room complete with a Nespresso machine, 2 flat-screen TVs, air conditioning and blackout curtains. I would normally pick something with more Old World charm but we liked the literary theme (Marcel Proust) and the contemporary style of this smallish neighborhood hotel. Travelling with my mother and 7-year-old daughter, I chose this hotel for the room size (we stayed in a junior suite) as triple rooms in Paris are notoriously tiny, easy metro access (Europe metro station is less than 5 minutes away) and excellent value for money (I got an early bird discount). The downside? The free WiFi access is wonky at night (they need to invest in more bandwidth), the bath/shower is a bit strange as it's in full view in the middle of the room (no privacy), and there is nothing of interest to do/see in the immediate vicinity (which I already knew when booking so not a problem for usas with the metro you can get anywhere you need). I recommend Le Swann and would definitely stay here again.

"Perfect for a romantic escape "
annarg1, 24 Août 2015

Me and my bf spent 7 days in Paris. I choose this hotel for the good positive reviews. My standards are always very high, about hotels, specially because I worked 5 years for 5* cruises ships! I have to admit that this is very good hotel, in a great position! Few steps away from metro stop Europe, few minutes from metro Rome and from Gare de Saint Lazare (with the train to go to Versaille); 15 minutes walking from the nice neighbourhood with the Moulin Rouge, place du Clichy and Pigalle, the street with striptease and secy shops, pubs where to drink a beer till late. The room was very tiny, but this was clear from other reviews, and, far as I know the Parisian standards, we been luky! Everything was elegant and good kept: wall paper, carpet, furniture. The toilet was gorgeous! Everything was marked with some tiny particulars from the Marcel Proust literally works... In our room was the Nespresso coffee machine, with 3 different free coffee to choose from. The room cleaner is been fantastic! We was always waking up late...she never bothered us, and cleaned our room only after we've left in the afternoon. Is very nice, I know that in Europe not many hotels offer you this service. The reception team is been very useful, and even the reception are is so posh! A very important advice to who want travel to Paris: avoid August! Almost 70% of the stores was closed for the holidays: the whole month! Another thing about Google maps: don't trust it! I don't understand why, but the directions are totally wrong! For Versaille, from the hotel, it's been super easy: the reception guy just advised us to go in Gare de Saint Lazare, we been there just with one train, and a bus, but just because the way was disrupted. The same it's been for Orly Airport: from the tube Google was advising to take a taxi, when a tram was stopping just in front of the terminal! Even on this, talk with the reception guy it's been useful! I love this hotel, perfect for a couple! Just a little black marks: I was willing to get a room with bathtub, but none was available! I was so sorry for that! But the whole parisian experience it's been wonderful! I will rate some more caffe and restaurants...

"Nice hotel"
Sarah v, 23 Août 2015

Great service from staff, they were really friendly and helpful. The rooms a little small but well appointed. Good location close to public transport and sights. Buffet breakfast disappointing would recommend getting breakfast from a local bakery or cafe

"Great location, comfortable hotel"
gam8le, 21 Août 2015

Pros: Great location, lovely side road in the 8e arrondisment, close by to a number of decent brasseries and within 250 metres of two metro stations. The rooms were clean, cool, well appointed. Everything worked, plenty of hot water. comfortable bed, pillows and friendly staff. Cons: As is suaul in France the TV channels are almsot all in French. Apart from CNN there was only French TV. The rooms were fairly small (and we had upgraded to a deluxe one). Breakfast was okay but nothing to sceram about. One or two oddnesses such as you only got 1 plate, so everytime you wanted anything else such as an extra croissant or some more cheese, you had to take your plate with you. In terms of value for money we got a great deal I think as we had booked through a well known package operator that arranged flights and airport pickup as well. I saw the rack rate on th edesk and if you had to pay that then it would not be such a good review as the value point would shift badly.

Fantastic Proust theme throughout the hotel, the rooms are based on characters. Very clean and good quality toiletries. Very convenient to the centre, just a five minute walk to the metro that...

"A Great Paris Hotel"
Gareth W, 09 Décembre 2014

A four night stay at this hotel was booked for me and my partner to celebrate her birthday. The hotel location is in a lovely quiet district of Paris, surrounded by music stores and small restaurants, but walking distance to many of the main city attractions and only 2 minutes from metro stop for anyone not wanting to walk. The hotel is very modern and designed in contemporary style in memory of Marcel Proust. The room was not large, but then is any hotel room in Paris, but adequate for couple sharing. The mini bar, Ipod dock and espresso machine were all welcome and used repeatedly during our stay. The shower was great and the bathroom clean and modern with a very funky sliding door. The only negative from us was the hotel bar was not open on weekend.

"Service,standards and location"
EilidhG, 13 Septembre 2014

Very pleased overall and will return! The staff were helpful, the premier room was compact but for Paris it was excellent. The hotel's location was very suitable. After visiting Versailles I booked three rooms for my family and myself at the Le Swann and the experience there completed a fantastic trip.

"LE SWANN IS LE PIGEON"
stevenf612, 27 Août 2014

Small room. Closet small unable to close. Bathroom and extension of sleeping area. Smoking in front of hotel makes lobby a poor place to wait. When asking for cab it is 10 euros already on meter when they arrive. Breakfast is skimpy and poor for 13 euros.
