Probably now my favourite hotel in Saigon after many years of travelling to this wonderful and vibrant city. Staff very special.

Our stay at the Caravelle was extremely relaxing, and every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. We dined at Reflections Restaurant and enjoyed drinks at the Martini Bar and L'Opera on the ground floor. The quality of service throughout was excellent. Unfortunately, I cannot remember everyone's names, but we truly appreciated the warm hospitality from all the staff. My wife and I also booked the Serenity for Couples experience at Kara Spa. It was wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating—a perfect addition to our stay.

We spent 4 days in the Caravelle Saigon. The Signature Lounge is worth the extra $$. All of the staff went out of their way to ensure that we had a great experience every day from breakfast through afternoon tea but especially cocktails each evening. My favourite staff was Kimmie,Mr Chieu, Van, Ngan, Dat, Quynh, No and chefs Son & Lien kept us well fed and watered

An absolutely amazing hotel right in the heart of Saigon. With wonderful staff the hotel has everything you need. We upgraded to the club lounge which was a truly amazing place in it's self. Could well be one of the best hotels we have stayed in.

Great location, right at the centre. Love the view from the room and balcony, stepping out onto the balcony we felf the pulse and vibe of the city, and back into the room it became a sanctuary, quiet clean and comfortable. Booked this place due to historic significance coupled with modern convenience.

Is a perfect hotel to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The location is fantastic located in the heart of the city . The food during breakfast is good. A walking distance to Ben Than Market, famous for souvenirs and imitations . Hoop on Hoop Off bus is in front of the hotel. Big shopping malls are walking distance including saigon Orchestra. Take Grab for the cost of 3 dollars to enjoy the floating saigon princess deluxe dining experience for only 60usd. One thing if you want to have Fun then you can play Casino located in the hotel premises.

After spending some days enjoying the sights of Saigon it was so nice to step back into our hotel. I would like to thank Oanh,Nhi,Wuynh and Dat for collectively making our stay a truly memorable experience. A true oasis in a busy city.

The Caravelle was a perfect place for us in HCMC. We were there to attend a wedding in the Caravelle. The service and vibe was beautiful, warm and thoughtful. The check in was perfect. We received an upgraded room and access to the Signature Lounge.We had a newly renovated room on one of the top floors overlooking the opera house. It was clean, comfortable and contained everything we needed. We enjoyed breakfast and cocktails in the Signature Lounge and would often pop in for a mid day coffee. Wonderful and friendly staff made each visit very pleasant. Husband enjoyed the fitness center. We would 100% stay at the Caravelle again. Huge thank you to everyone who made our stay amazing.

I had a wonderful stay at Caravelle Saigon Hotel during my business trip. The location is excellent, close to many attractions and restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Breakfast had many delicious options. Cafe de Opera at Caravelle Hotel is exceptional. Nhu Katy and Hoai were always welcoming with a pleasant smile coupled with fantastic service. Their food / cakes were sumptuous . Have already eaten there on 5 occasions. Highly recommended

This is a historic hotel in Saigon . We enjoyed our stay. It was very busy and it is corporate rather than intimate. We went to the roof bar but the music was so loud we did not return which was a bit of a shame. Rooms are good quality . Breakfast is good but is so busy it has the feel of a cafeteria. One big shout out though to the concierge team who were fantastic , they managed to book us last minute tickets on the night tour bus and the last two tickets for the fantastic acrobatic show at the opera house which is across the road. Enjoyed the city very much , lots to see and do . We had lunch a couple of times at the hotel which was good value. Service was good. Recommend you try Congs cafe and especially the coconut coffee in the city .

Great stay in a prime location in District 1! The staff were very friendly , including helping to recommend local restaurants and bars. The check in /check out process was very smooth The gym is one of the better hotel gyms as well.

This is an amazing and wonderful hotel. The staff were fantastic and caring. Everyone remembered our names the entire time we were there. The food and the restaurant was fantastic. A beautiful view right over the Opera House and Central square of Saigon. The rooms are fantastic everything in them and about them is premium from furnishings to electronics to any and all amenities at the property. Everything about this hotel was five star but one thing I will add in particular. This hotel at the absolute greatest shower I have ever had in my life and I'm in my sixties. As you get older you notice little things like how long it takes for the water to get hot being able to change the water pressure does it have massage features does the drain work appropriately and on and on and on. I'm actually not OCD about showers but this one was just 100% the greatest shower that I have ever used and the massage feature be careful if you turn the water pressure up too much it would take the paint off your car and the skin off you if you're not careful, but as far as getting an actual massage from a shower head, truly unbelievable. I feel like I'm being lazy by not specifically addressing all the good qualities of the hotel including the fact that it has a very nice casino in property, but it's just fantastic overall and why spoil the surprise for anyone that might stay there. You should find nothing or maybe one tiny thing you don't like about the hotel when you stay there and other than that you should find it to be an amazing warm comfortable fantastic experience. Even the snootiest of the elite will still find satisfaction at this wonderful hotel. Also for the price it's a wonderful value. It cost half of what another five star hotel cost on the same weekend that we stayed in Saigon we wanted to stay at both of them. The Caravelle stood tall against the other hotel that cost twice as much. My advice would be book it, you won't regret it and don't miss the breakfast buffet and the free afternoon happy hour which is effectively dinner- we're not talking about tiny egg rolls and nacho chips with cheese- this is top quality chef prepared (snack) food but with 40 selections trust me you're not going out to dinner after this and it's between 5:30 and 7:30 and you get the free unlimited cocktails and food as long as you opt for the premium lounge access which probably cost you $20 per person per day more it is definitely worth it, you have a wonderful view and it's like being in a fine dining restaurant with premium service just for the happy hour.

We stayed in a beautiful suite with lounge access which was incredible. The highlight of our stay was meeting Chieu in the lounge who provided an unbelievable service in the lounge, he should be promoted to a senior position as his affable demeanor, enthusiasm and his skills are best in class and has made the experience on the lounge one to remember.

We found this location a bit by chance and a bit by luck. Location mattered so we took a chance on this hotel even though it cost more than other places. Glad we did. Amazing location with easy access to most walking sites. The place was super clean and the staff was amazing. I would stay here again for sure.

I recently spent fourteen nights at the Caravelle across two separate reservations for what was, in many ways, a once-in-a-lifetime father-daughter journey back to Vietnam. My father is now ninety years old and first left this country decades ago under circumstances very different from those that brought us back together. We deliberately chose the Caravelle not simply because it is an excellent hotel, but because it is one of Saigon's enduring heritage landmarks. This place has quietly witnessed history while continuing to welcome new generations of travelers. Before my father even arrived, the hotel accommodated my request to have our rooms next to each other. This required modifying his original reservation and upgrading him to a different room category, a decision I was very happy to make because I wanted him to enjoy every comfort possible during this special trip. His flight arrived early in the morning, and having our rooms side by side made everything effortless from the very beginning. He was genuinely delighted with his upgraded room, and I was grateful that the hotel's reservations and front office teams worked with me to make the arrangement possible. It was one of many thoughtful gestures that set the tone for the warmth and professionalism we experienced throughout the following two weeks. Our rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed, and offered wonderful views over the city. I especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities and high-quality bath products that encouraged me to slow down and enjoy the room after a busy day in Saigon. Like many historic hotels in tropical climates, there are naturally areas that would benefit from periodic refurbishment. I noticed that some of the furnishings and curtains are beginning to show their age. Vietnam's humidity is simply part of the environment, not a flaw of the property. When I mentioned that the rooms felt damp, the hotel promptly installed dehumidifiers in both of our rooms, which remained in place for the duration of our stay. It was a practical solution delivered quickly and without hesitation. Construction was underway during our visit, and the hotel informed us in advance with a thoughtful note placed in each room. Although the famous Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar was temporarily closed for renovations, this ultimately mattered very little to us because we had intentionally planned much of our stay around enjoying the Signature Lounge when at the hotel. The Signature Lounge deserves special recognition, particularly Uyên, Anh, Nhi, Kiet, Oanh, Quynh, Nam, Huy, Dat, Ngan, and Khang (my apologies if I overlooked anyone). As a daughter traveling with an elderly parent, I naturally found myself watching everything. I watched how staff interacted with my father when I was beside him, but I also watched when I quietly stepped away. Every single time he entered the lounge, he was greeted warmly and respectfully. Assistance was offered naturally and sincerely. Nothing ever felt scripted. There was a quiet kindness in the way every member of the team cared for him, and I will always remember it. What impressed me most was not simply individual excellence, but the way the lounge staff functioned as a true team. Leadership, full-time employees, and trainees all worked together seamlessly with obvious pride in their craft. Service never felt scripted or mechanical. Instead, each member contributed something uniquely their own while maintaining remarkably consistent standards. They anticipated needs without hovering, remembered preferences without making a spectacle of it, and somehow balanced professionalism with genuine warmth. I had the pleasure of chatting with many members of the team throughout my stay while my father enjoyed reading, reflecting, or reminiscing. Each conversation revealed a different personality, a different story, and a different way of making guests feel welcome. It is rare to encounter a hospitality team that functions so cohesively while still allowing each individual to shine. This balance is undoubtedly one of the Signature Lounge's greatest strengths. In the end, I have a meaningful token that now rests on my arm, always reminding me of my father, Vietnam, and the many people who quietly became part of the journey that led me to it. I must also enthusiastically recognize the Kara Spa, which became an essential part of my stay. Over the course of two weeks, I booked six massages, ranging from 90 to 120 minutes, all with Ms. Van. Simply put, Ms. Van is exceptional. She possesses remarkable strength, consistency, and intuition. Every treatment was methodical and focused, with careful attention paid to areas of accumulated tension from long flights, work commitments, and constant travel. Her pressure remained wonderfully consistent throughout every appointment, something that experienced spa guests know is surprisingly uncommon. Travel inevitably brings unexpected schedule changes, and I had to adjust several appointments at the last minute. The spa staff accommodated these changes graciously and professionally each time. Their flexibility allowed me to continue taking care of myself during what was otherwise a very demanding work trip. By the end of my stay, my appointments with Ms. Van had become more than a luxury; they had become a necessity. They had become part of the rhythm that allowed me to maintain both my professional commitments and fully enjoy my time with my father. I cannot recommend her highly enough. The Caravelle is much more than a luxury hotel or a destination for business travelers. It is one of Saigon's living landmarks. Give yourself enough time to appreciate its history, enjoy its hospitality, and allow the people who work there to get to know you. If you do, I suspect you will leave with far more than photographs and souvenirs. My father and I certainly did.

Loved our stay at the Caravelle. From the friendly welcoming and very efficient reception team, we appreciated our quiet well appointed room that had quality bedding, a well appointed, spacious bathroom which was immaculate and functional including excellent hot water temperature and pressure, in addition to premium toiletries - we really felt pampered. Pool is huge and wonderful to swim in, has plenty of quality clean sunbeds and the pool service is attentive and friendly - menus were brought to our chair, no running around trying to get staff attention here ! Caravelle was our favourite hotel in all the equivalent larger Saigon hotels we have stayed at, we felt looked after and that they prioritise a good guest experience rather than what is easiest for the hotel, we look forward to trusting Caravelle again in our next upcoming Vietnam trip, well done Caravelle and thank you ! Our bellman, Hieu Bell was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay at Caravelle. The hotel retains a traditional and authentic approach located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, with high-up views and exceptional breakfast buffet food. Our room was spotless, with clear instructions, and luxury-quality everything. Worth its value in full. There was low noise and the amenities surpassed expectations.

The hotel was nice, the staff was very attentive, and the room was comfortable with a good view. I stayed here because of its history (it housed many diplomats, crews from ABC and CBS News, and was bombed in 1964). Unfortunately, the Saigon Saigon Bar, which was where much of the history took place, was closed for a three-month renovation (beginning in May 2026). Most of the rest of the hotel was upgraded/modernized to the point that it looked like any other high-end hotel. I was hoping for a little more unique character. But if you're looking for a nice, high-end hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, this is a good option.

Caravelle is really 5 stars. The hotel is clean, breakfast is very delicious. I also take buffet dinner which is great, lot of good food. I receive nice and quick support from Ms Chau Le ( sales person ) she knows well all the services the hotel is selling. Needless to say, all staffs here present professionally. If you have parcel to ship prior to your trip, you can courier send to hotel, they have Concier to take care of it for you. This is my second time to this Caravelle, last time in 2018 I can enjoy music in Saigon Saigon Bar ( Roof top ) with foreign singer and band. There a legal and big parking space in front of the hotel, the car can park and wait for you if needed. Meeting is nice and wide of option. Perfect location, easy to walk to for sightseeing. Rooms very clean and breakfast lovely. Concierge very helpful, especially Nhung who arranged for local meals for us - all were excellent. She also booked a motorcycle tour which was fantastic as we were able to travel around the backstreets of Saigon. Definitely recommend this hotel - all the staff very helpful

We love the Caravelle, it is in the best location. We booked a signature room and as this was our ninth visit we were upgraded to a slightly bigger room which was much appreciated. Signature room allows you to have drinks and canapés in the evening and also breakfast in a quieter area which suits us. The pool is great especially after walking the streets in a very humid Saigon. The Spa is so so good. We will definitely stay here when next we come back to Vietnam

Great location, first class service, we chose the signature package and felt it was well worth it. It made you feel exclusive, this package provided us (and other package users) our own breakfast buffet, afternoon tea which rolled into free drinks (alcohol). The hotel felt well located as we walked to many of the popular tourist sites and there are many bars and eateries within the area.

I have stayed at Caravelle multiple times, the location is right in the center of Saigon nothing can beat that. The atmosphere make you feel at home right from you arrive and until you depart. The rooms are not the newest in town but that is easily offset by the hospitallity of the friendly staff at Caravelle especially the staff in the signature lounge. I will highligt the names of the hotel staff that has serviced me at my multiple stays. Mr. Nam, Ms. Nhi, Mr. Huy, Ms. Oanh, Ms. Ngan, Quynh and last but not least Ms. Kimmie. I will always look forward to my next stay, alone or with my danish staff.

One day, just one day in the future if we return to HCMC this is where we would make camp again. This hotel is definitely five stars and with a history to boot. The staff were ultra friendly and keen to help a couple of Vietnam cleanskins. The Caravelle is within easy walking distance from all the mandatory sights such as the Reunification Palace and the War Museum. Plus a fabulous breakfast catering to all tastes. Coming to HCMC? Location was excellent, in walking distance to well-known attractions. The room had a beautiful aspect overlooking the Saigon Opera. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They were very courteous and caring for my husband's disability needs. They were always on hand to provide help when needed. The room was ever so clean and the amenities well appointed. Breakfast was busy but the food was plentiful with and of variety.

This hotel is 5 star and it really lives up to that rating. The staff and facilities here are outstanding. We got a late check out due to our flight times. Well done Caravelle.

This is my fourth time staying at this hotel, and it's the best one in Ho Chi Minh City. The service from day one through my two-week stay has been amazing from cleanliness to professionalism. We had the breakfast package, and it was excellent. When I initially checked in, there was a problem with my booking I had requested a king bed but was given two single beds. As soon as I mentioned it, the staff immediately worked to fix the issue and made sure I was happy with my room. If anyone is coming to Ho Chi Minh City, this is the place to stay. It's centrally located and convenient for everything.

The hotel is really nice with great rooms, food, location, and service. The gym and pool and top tier and everyone is incredibly helpful. Lam at the concierge desk is an absolute legend. We are a group of 60 and lam helped us get reservations across the city on a really short notice. He probably spent hours making it happen and went so above and beyond what anyone could have asked for.

Perfect location. Rooms were clean and fresh. Everything was updated. Breakfasts were excellent. The roof top bar was the only tired part of the hotel which wasn't a problem as there were loads of other walkable options.

We had a fantastic stay at the Caravelle. We stayed for one night before flying to Phu Quoc and our room was lovely, the staff were helpful and breakfast was good. We then stayed for 3 nights after Phu Quoc before flying to Da Nang and this time our room was upgraded and absolutely spectacular views! The pool is lovely too.

Our experience was extremely disappointing. From the Front Office to the restaurant, we were repeatedly asked by staff to leave reviews on Tripadvisor. Since when is it acceptable to pressure guests like this? If we are satisfied, we will choose to leave a review on our own. What made it worse was discovering that the person involved was the GM. His attitude was inappropriate and offensive, showing clear signs of racial bias based on my friend's darker skin tone, along with unnecessary and intrusive questions. This is unacceptable and far below the standard we expected.

Service was substandard. I was told my room wasn't ready while I waited, several others got their rooms. My friend was charged for 2 bottles of rum instead of 2 shots of rum for his drink at the bar. My other friends room had air conditioning issues in his room (it was very hot/humid when we were there). They also told us that what we order for drinks was “unavailable” on several days.

We had a fantastic stay at the Caravelle Saigon Hotel—perfectly located right in the heart of everything. You can step outside and instantly be amongst the buzz of Ho Chi Minh City, with the Opera House directly across the road and all the best shopping, cafes, and attractions just a short stroll away. The service was exceptional—nothing was ever too hard. A special mention to Hieu from the Bell team, who didn't even blink when we (unsurprisingly) over-shopped and needed our luggage weighed. He came up promptly and handled it all with a smile. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious and definitely worth trying—but I'd recommend doing it once and then heading out to explore the incredible street food scene. It's everywhere, and honestly, some of the best meals come from simply following the locals—see where they line up, copy them, and repeat! Overall, a brilliant stay with top-notch service, unbeatable location, and the perfect base to experience the best of Saigon.

I had a business lunch with my boss at Reflection Restaurant at Caravelle Saigon yesterday. While heading to the restaurant, I accidentally went up to the 9th floor instead of the correct one. Fortunately, I was warmly assisted by Ms. Uyên, who kindly guided me back to the 3rd floor. Her friendliness and professionalism truly stood out. The lunch experience itself was excellent. The food was delicious and well-presented, meeting our expectations for a business setting. What made it even more special was the ambiance the restaurant offers a direct view of the Opera House, creating a refined and relaxing atmosphere. My boss was especially impressed with the quality of the dishes, which made the meeting even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a memorable experience, not only because of the cuisine but also thanks to the attentive service. I would definitely recommend this place for business lunch or a refined dining experience in Saigon. Cheers

We were absolutely blown away by our stay at Caravelle Saigon Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Every member of staff made us feel truly valued, from the driver who picked us up to the lovely young man who kindly assisted with our luggage. The executive lounge experience was outstanding. The team went above and beyond, even remembering our drink preferences, which made everything feel so personal. I would especially like to thank Nam, one of the staff in the executive lounge. He greeted us every day with the warmest smile and consistently went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. Our room was simply the best we have ever stayed in. The balcony, overlooking the Opera House and the main square, was breathtaking and worth every penny and more. As a small piece of feedback, we felt the fruit selection in the lounge could be improved with a bit more variety. Vietnam is known for having some of the best fruits in the world, so it would be wonderful to see this better reflected in the offering. The same applies to the fresh juice options, where a wider selection would really elevate the experience. That said, the noodle offerings were absolutely fabulous and a real highlight, we thoroughly enjoyed them. The only downside? Everywhere we go now, we find ourselves comparing the service to the Caravelle, and we're quickly disappointed. We have stayed in many upscale hotels, but none have come close to the level of service we experienced here. We are currently staying in a top-category villa at a Marriott resort in Da Nang, and it has only highlighted just how exceptional the Caravelle truly is. In fact, my husband loved it so much that he insisted we return for our final four nights in Saigon, something that wasn't even part of our original plan. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Nhien, Director of Rooms, for everything she has done for us. She ensured that every detail of our stay was perfectly arranged and truly went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. As we have said before, she is truly outstanding and a real asset to the Caravelle.

We have just arrived back at the Caravelle Saigon! We were met at the airport by their limousine pick up, the staff were quick to welcome us all with friendly smiles and they swiftly loaded our bags and brought us safely to the hotel. Our girls loved the little touches like water, sodas and juices in the limousine for the drive. Once at the hotel, check in was seamless and we were shown to our suite which had already been turned down ready for us to relax due to our early arrival. Our bags followed us promptly as staff member Hien Bell ( sorry hope the spelling is correct) set them into our rooms whilst explaining the layout, before delivering city maps for us to enjoy. All the staff have welcomed us back after our stay with the Caravelle last year, they have truly made the start of our trip a memorable one! Thank you Mr & Mrs Harrison

We recently stayed at the hotel. Our card used as security deposit initially had an amount of 2,000,000 dong (equivalent to $100 AUS). Then at some stage between leaving the hotel and now it has changed to 200,000,000 dong ($10,000 AUS dollars!) We have a screenshot of our statement with this transaction. When we emailed them suggesting fraudulent activity it changed back to 2,000,000 dong! We are still waiting for this amount to be refunded 9 days after checkout. Also charged 10 times the amount for drinks at the bar. When we brought attention to this they used the ‘machine' as the excuse. Totally outrageous!

Great location comfortable room more of a business hotel. Great selection for breakfast. Served great Vietnamese c Coffee and cakes. Chosed gor historical value and it didnt disappoint. The roof top bar was an experience in itself. Great place to explore the vibrant city. Room service was excellent. Fabukous tour of the city and Mekong river whilst staying here.Didnt have time to use the pool.

We had a premium signature lounge access room. It was anything but premium with a horrible damp smell and grubby dated furnishings and carpet. On the second day had to request the room be made up at around 2.00pm. The carpet and upholstery also in common areas is very ‘grubby' and needs replacement. WATCH YOUR BILLS as we were charged 10 TIMES THE AMOUNT for 2 drinks. When we picked it up they blamed the machine. CAUTION very easy for travellers to be ‘ripped off' with the DONG currency.

This hotel has it all!! But most importantly… the staff were fantastic especially senior management. We got stuck in HCM due to the conflict in the ME and every day our flights would get cancelled but the hotel did everything for us and were cool for us to stay on a rolling daily basic… never have I stayed somewhere that was so accommodating. Hats off to you all… hopefully we will come back again soon.

We have really enjoyed our stay at the excellent Caravelle Saigon! We stayed in a signature premium room on the 21st floor which had wonderful views of the city. We also had the use of the signature lounge which was great to visit for a quieter breakfast experience, had snacks and refreshments throughout the day and some excellent cocktails in the evening! We have found the staff to be helpful and friendly throughout, particularly Kim, Oanh and My in the lounge. Mr Tung from concierge helped us to book some tours of the city and Cu Chi tunnels, he was most helpful and efficient. Would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Ho Chi Minh City

I wanted to put a drink on my bill room but they said that my account was blocked (worst that my bank) so I couldn't..because I didn't payed straight away an upgrade of room for 14€ but my entire room was already payed at my arrival..it was an extras that I wanted to pay at the check out, like we do usely in all hotels in the world!!

Our first experience of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) was to be ripped off by an 'unofficial' taxi at the airport who said he couldn't find, possibly the best known hotel in the city! We think he wasn't allowed to park ouside? So we had to drag our suitcases 500m to the hotel. But things got worse when checking in. Two days before our arrival we had a suprise charge on our credit card "to guarantee the first night's accomodation". This was a first in all our years of travelling. There was no mention of this in the booking confirmation and all they said was "this is the hotel's policy". We suggested this might be better if we were informed beforehand but that didn't seem to occur to them. Then we were told about the other "hotel policy". They wanted to chage our credit card for all 5 nights accomodation before we had even entered our room! We decided to stay the one night, to save losing the 'guarantee' but made arrangements to check out the following morning. Breakfast was even more of a madhouse than the Sheraton in Bangkok and food items ran out before the service closed. This hotel seems to be having cash flow problems and is trading on its historic position in the city.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in one of the Signature rooms, we were kindly upgraded to a larger Signature room with a great view of the Opera House. The Signature experience is certainly worth it. With private check- in and access to the wonderful Signature lounge - breakfast, all day snacks and early evening food and drinks - all high quality with great surroundings. Hotel in a great location next to the Opera House. Staff were brilliant which made our stay memorable. I used the Spa, which was great, although the changing room was shared with the swimming pool, which was disappointing. For the last night we went to the roof-top bar. Great live music with inside or outside seating. It was more of a club style rather than a character bar, although there is a classic bar elsewhere in the hotel. Certainly would recommend this historic hotel.

I recently stayed at Caravelle Hotel Saigon and overall the experience was very good. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast had great variety and quality, and the staff were generally professional and helpful. In most respects, it's a well-run hotel and I enjoyed my stay. However, one incident at the spa/sauna left a disappointing final impression. The day before checkout, a friend and I were relaxing in the sauna (a private, quiet area) when another guest began speaking very loudly on his mobile phone inside the sauna. We were surprised that phones were even allowed in such a private space. I politely asked him to take the call outside to the locker area, but he refused and instead told me to leave if I was uncomfortable. I reported this to security, only to be told there was no policy restricting phone use inside the private sauna. After some hesitation, they spoke to the guest, but nothing changed. He continued using his phone loudly. When I raised the concern again, he made threatening remarks toward us about being careful when leaving the hotel, which made us feel unsafe. The on-duty manager later acknowledged the situation and apologized, but by then we were uncomfortable enough to check out one day early. At checkout, a senior manager apologized for the inconvenience. My main concern is the apparent lack of clear policy around phone or electronic device use in private spa/sauna areas. This creates privacy and safety issues, and staff seemed unsure or reluctant to enforce any boundaries. For a hotel of this caliber, that's surprising. Overall, a good stay with good facilities — but if you plan to use the sauna, be aware that privacy may not be fully protected. ================================================== Tôi đã có một kỳ nghỉ nhìn chung rất tốt tại Khách sạn Caravelle Sài Gòn. We are a family of four who stayed at Caravelle Saigon for four nights with lounge access, and we had a truly wonderful experience overall. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views overlooking the Opera House and the city. Our children stayed in a separate twin room, which was also very comfortable and well appointed. It was the perfect setup for our family to relax after a day out. The executive lounge was another highlight , calm and inviting, with delicious food and drinks that we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. We would especially like to thank Nhi, Ngan, Huy, and Uyen, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Their warmth and professionalism really made our stay memorable. There was only one minor issue during check-out when returning the key cards on the ground floor. While waiting in line, another guest stepped in front of us and was served without being asked to wait her turn. This was a small incident and did not detract from our overall experience, but addressing situations like this would further enhance the hotel's professionalism and fairness for all guests. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return to Caravelle Saigon. Highly recommended for families looking for comfort, excellent service, and a great location.

Caravelle Saigon was great 5* hotel stay. Location was perfect. Price was right for almost center town. Although this hotel is older, the recent renovation sure makes it surprisingly pleasant to the eye. We targeted 5* hotels around Nguyen Hue BLVD. it came down to Caravelle or Renaissance. Both 5*. We chose Caravelle due to its recent renovation. Will stay again.

Hotel review Great hotel in a great location. The hotel is right in the centre of city, with everything within walking distance. You get the experience the vibe of Ho Minh city and lots of great places to eat within the hotel as well as nearby. The suite had a great view overlooking the opera house, but the bedrooms at the back still allowed for peaceful nights sleep. The room was luxurious and spacious. The heart of the hotel were the staff, welcoming, attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble always willing to help. It was our first visit to Vietnam, the staff and hotel made it a great and memorable visit. Thank you to Hong Nhung (Concierge) for helping us organise our tours and generally looking after us. Also a very big thank you to Lan, Truc, Nhi, Aat, Mimi and all the staff at the Signature lounge and Roof top bar, for your warm hospitality and making us feel relaxed and at home. We have a lovely stay at Caravelle Saigon during 2025 year end. We can feel the Christmas atmosphere, location was great to travel/walk to tourist spots and great restaurants in District 1.

Undeniably the best hotel stay I have had in the last 15 years I've been travelling to Vietnam. The attentive, thoughtful and welcoming staff made our signature experience a truly signature memory. I would like to thank Oanh, Uyen, My, Nhi, No and Huy for their service in all inquiries related to the lounge, our tour, and stay in the heart of downtown Saigon. The wonderful room and housekeeping service was a bonus too. Altogether, this is to say we have already booked our next stays for Summer and Winter 2026 as our time at the Caravelle was perfect.

The Caravelle is truly a 5 star luxury gem of a hotel in the heart of Saigon. My family and I were so lucky to have been able stay there during our December holidays and it was the most convenient location to all of what Saigon has to offer because everything can be within a 25 minute walking distance but most are less than 10! Most of all, we sincerely appreciate the care and generosity from the capable concierge staff especially Lam and Nhu who had been in contact with us weeks before our arrival to help us plan activities and dining for our trip. However a couple instances stands out where I accidentally left my debit card in an ATM Nhu worked tirelessly to track security down to locate it to my huge relief and joy! Lam also walked about 15 minutes to the Notre Dame church to inquire about Christmas Eve tickets for our family. These actions go above and beyond and should be commended! We can't recommend the Caravelle enough and look forward to staying here again on our next visit back to Saigon!

Historic Caravelle Saigon really delivered. Big, clean rooms with a classic old-school feel. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everyone we spoke to had very good English. Location is a major plus — right in the middle of things and within easy reach of most sights in Ho Chi Minh City (Cu Chi tunnels aside, of course). A great base if you like a hotel with character and a prime location.

It's in a great location, very central and convenient. Not many other positives for a claimed 5 star establishment. Unfortunately they humiliated my wife and I by offering us a signature room and then denying us access to the signature lounge, which is meant to be part of the room package. There was no compromise on their part, lots of "sorry", but no action taken. Like others have reported, the plumbing is an issue, the shower overflows unless you have the water pressure quite low. The hot breakfast items were prepared too far in advance and some things were generally cold or stale. All in all not close to 5 star standard and not worth the price you pay.

Stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe room. The room and bathroom were beautifully appointed to a high standard. Our room overlooked the Opera House. Reception staff were friendly and very efficient. In fact all the hotel staff provided excellent service. Loved listening to the doorpersons summon taxis by clapping their hands. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. We also went to the hotel's famous rooftop bar each night and took advantage of their "happy hour". Great cocktails, service and view. The hotel has a pleasant pool which is well maintained and supervised. The hotel is in a great location in a very stylish part of Saigon City.

Over all a wonderful experience. Excellent location in the center of town close to dinning and shopping. Variety of Halal resturants at walking distance and a nice Masjid behind the hotel. Excellent choice for Muslims travelers.

This is an excellent hotel. It's location is superb right opposite the Saigon Opera house and within walking distance to many of the very interesting areas including the post office, council building and book Street and walking Street. All the staff were extremely helpful, we had a beautiful view from our room on the 20th floor. The room was very comfortable and very large walk in rainfall shower. Breakfast was very good with all the usual choices. We found an excellent coffee shop nearby called Ciao coffee which also has a restaurant. Very comfortable high-quality hotel.

I often come to HCMC on business and always prefer to stay in a legendary Caravelle. Convenient central location, nice clean rooms, tasty breakfast, very attentive staff. Especially staff is great, well trained, ready to help, make you feel welcome. Floor supervisor Liêu is very friendly, attentive and helpful, made sure I always have fresh towels and water. Some rooms have humid air, but they will provide dehumidifier on request. An open-air swimming pool is a cozy hidden gem in the very center of Saigon.

I stayed at Caravelle Saigon for six days, I visited Saigon 36 years ago and stayed in this hotel numerous times. Still is a very nice hotel with excellent room and hospitality. The Concierge - Mr Dawson Lam, was very helpful to give recommendation and make reservation for places to visit such as The Saigon Cruise Dinner, CuChi Tunnel, Huo Tuc Restaurant, Central Post Office, Pink Church and many other places to go and visit or to dine. I would rate the Hotel and the Concierge probably one of the best in Ho Chi Minh City.

Beautifully appointed hotel in the city centre of Ho Chi Minh (Saigon). Hotel staff were extremely helpful and able to assist when ever asked. The room we had was on the 20th floor of the new block with lovely views over the city. Extremely comfortable and well appointed bedroom. Despite overlooking a very busy thoroughfare the sound insulation was excellent and we had no trouble getting to sleep at night. The rooftop bar provided an even better view over the city skyline, particularly at night. Ideal hotel for a short stay in Vietnam while touring that part of the world

Lam at the concierge's was simply amazing. Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and made excellent restaurant reservations and recommendations for other matters. He spoke English extremely in addition which made it easier for us!

After an enjoyable previous stay during 2024, my wife and I once again visited the Caravelle Saigon during the first half of November 2025. Once again we were treated to a first rate experience. Everything that we loved about the hotel was once again evident. We cannot fault the room facilities or staff all of which were excellent. A special mention would have to be made to both Uyen and Oanh in the Signature Lounge who couldn't have done anymore ensuring that we were looked after. Many thanks

A beautiful hotel in an amazing location in the teeming business and hotel district area of Saigon. Yet this hotel is an oasis among the bustle of cars and motorbikes and people. Centrally located in the city with a view of the Opera House. Hotel staff are helpful and the overall experience staying here for 3 nights makes us want to return as soon as possible. Easy walking distance to all major sites and a great selection of restaurants with a variety of food.

My company has been dealing with Caravelle for quite some time now. I can say this is the best hotel in the whole of Saigon. Manager Châu Le is the best person our company has dealt with. She sorts out all our problems and arranges immediate solutions for our business team and investors. We have stayed at Caravelle over 15 times and we will continue to do so. This hotel lives up to its five star rating! In terms of rooms, staff, facilities, restaurants and location. We recommend it without reservation!

We stayed one week at the Caravelle Saigon in Oct. 2025. We found it to be luxurious and historic. The room was on a higher floor with a great view of the river. It was clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was absolutely huge! Didn't use the bathtub but the shower was great with lovely, high end bath products (shampoo, shower gel and conditioner and hand cream). The bed was a king with wonderful bed linens and a pillow menu. Housekeeping was on the ball and kept the room very clean and fresh. Breakfast buffet was HUGE. We really enjoyed the selection and ate there every morning. Staff were very helpful and friendly and worked very hard to make sure the guests were comfortable and got what they needed. I was appalled by the behavior of some of the other guests though. One group was so demanding. The staff handled it with grace which I'm sure wouldn't fly so much in other countries. The location was fantastic being a very short walk to walking street. The Opera house and the hop on hop off buses were right across the street. I would highly recommend an evening city tour on the hop on hop off (top seats) . It was a nice escape from the heat and humidity with a very cool view of the city lights. Ho Chi Minh has some very interesting buildings that are lit up at night. I had mentioned that we were there on our 35th anniversary and were pleasantly surprised by a dessert, card and rose petals on our arrival. I would have to say the best part of the hotel was the pool and the gym. We spent each afternoon lazing by the pool which was never crowded. The attendants were always there to help with anything we needed. My husband used the gym and said that it was probably one of the best hotel gyms he has used. It was very large and supplied fresh water, bananas and cool towels. Our last night we went up to the rooftop bar and had some very yummy drinks. I chose the Miss Saigon and loved it. On the way up to the bar there are some pictures and information about the news media who stayed at the hotel during the Vietnam war. We found this to be very interesting. I would highly recommend the Caravelle Saigon if you find yourself in HCMC.

Our stay at the Caravelle Saigon was absolutely exceptional. The hotel itself is stunning — elegant, comfortable, and perfectly located — but what truly made our experience unforgettable were our daily visits to the Signature Lounge. The staff there were simply next level. A huge thank you to Nhi, Oanfi, Kim, Ngan, Anh, and Thy for their warmth, professionalism, and incredible service. They not only made us feel so welcome each day but also went above and beyond with their thoughtful recommendations of traditional Vietnamese dishes (all delicious!) and their patient help teaching me to use chopsticks — I'm still in training! The Caravelle is already a wonderful hotel, but the team in the lounge turned a great stay into a truly special one. Highly recommended!

Check in at signature lounge tried to upsell me to a larger room at a premium as the room I booked in May (and confirmed check in time) was not ready.

I stayed two nights on two different occasions travelling. I had booked a signature room and it was spacious and clean with all the things that you need. The staff in the lounge was very nice and helped me with all the different things that I asked them.

We are currently staying at the Caravelle. Checking out tomorrow. We are so happy that we chose this hotel to stay in for our first trip to Vietnam. From the minute we arrived we were greeted with the warmest smiles and great service. I let them know ahead of time that it was our 35th anniversary trip and we were surprised to find a cute little cake, rose petals and fresh flowers in our room. Everything in the room worked well and the air-conditioning was lovey after a very hot humid day exploring this vibrant city. The pool was never crowded and extremely refreshing. Location of the hotel was in a perfect spot to explore on foot the various attractions. Lots of restaurants and cafes were a stones throw away. Got a chance to taste delicious Vietnamese food and absolutely loved Lychee tea that we found at most cafes. A must try is Banh Mi from a place called Kate just a couple blocks away from the hotel. The Soursop smoothie was to die for. I also must recommend the big bus tour at night. The stop was just outside the Caravelle. It was so cool to see all the lights while getting a refreshing breeze on the top seats. The only thing I have to complain about are some of the behavior of the other people staying at the hotel. We just got back from breakfast and was quite shocked that the wait staff were treated like slaves by a couple of guests. Complaining about the coffee not being hot enough etc. The man even showed the server a YouTube video on how to make roti and got her to tell the chef to make it for them. Unbelievable. These people are working so hard to make your experience the best it can be and deserve some kindness and respect. I would highly recommend staying here. This is a beautiful country with beautiful people.

From check in to checkout all of the staff were friendly and efficient, made us feel important and welcome. The hotel is in the perfect location and surrounded by all sorts of shopping, food and night-life overlooking the Opera house. Room was large, quiet and comfortable with carpeted rooms adding to the nice quiet sleep. Bed and pillows super comfortable, big bathroom with seperate toilet and shower and dual sinks. Aircon quiet and nice and cold. Spa and massage was perfect for relaxing after a long 12 hr flight and staff were wonderful and friendly. Big breakfast with all you could want. Rooftop bar Saigon Saigon had amazing views over the city, food excellent and some must try cocktails, Tu was happy to have a chat about the hotel and its history and the perfect ambassador, we would go back just to see him. Love the history of this hotel and could almost hear the buzz from the correspondants from the 60's and 70's during the turmoil of the war years gathered in the roof top bar. Complete with photos from the time as you entered the bar. View over the city... perfect. One of the best hotel stays we have had and definitely will be back.

Fabulous stay in a Signature Lounge room. The Signature Lounge experience is wonderful with professional, friendly staff (especially Kimmie the assistant signature lounge manager). The hotel is ideally located in the centre of HCMC and is worthy of its 5 star rating. It offers the best value rooms and experience in HCMC. Looking forward to my next stay.

I stayed in this hotel with my wife for three nights. It is a beautiful hotel with a modern classical look. The general areas are clean and very luxurious in both style and feel. Staff were great and I really enjoyed the deluxe room we had. The location was excellent opposite the Oprah house and a short walk to most destinations. I would happy return here. A good choice.

Some 5-star hotels aim to enthrall their guests with poshness, some with new-fangled technology... and then there are some 5-star hotels like Caravelle Saigon, which simply exudes a quiet classy charm. The concierge was warm and gentle, each floor was easy to navigate with only ~20 rooms on most floors, black and white marble-clad bathrooms, elegant and warm parquet vs. newer hotels' vinyl flooring, and a bird's eye view of an even older heritage building in front - the Saigon Opera House. Comfortable beds that provided us all great sleep. Perhaps we are old-school - found their paper updates of the hotel's offerings and city's events aptly named, "Caravelle Times" more endearing than scanning QR codes to "get more information" for most of the new hotels. Less screens, more personable. Room tips: Interconnecting rooms available. Request for the corner room "xx09" to have a better view of the Opera House.

Hotel Caravelle exceeded my expectations with their warm and attentive service from the moment I stepped out of my Grab. Check-in was quick and friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised with an upgraded room since it was my first time in Vietnam. The staff even followed up when housekeeping noticed the hot water took a little long, showing genuine care for my comfort. Everywhere I went, I was greeted with smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, the hospitality was outstanding and left a lasting impression.
