"Quite a bad place really"
Wonyk414, 26 Juin 2024

The toilet was kinda dirty, the air-con was barely working. I don't really recommend this hotel. The main thing is that I paid a lot of money for this room and they give me this. The photo is also quite off with what I actually received. The room also was dirty with unknown crumbs and dust particles lying around the hotel.

"Great Chinatown Hotel"
deutschediva65, 26 Juin 2024

Great hotel in the heart of Chinatown. My daughter forgot some items she had purchased and they not only located them but sent them home to us. They were very accommodating and had exceptional customer service. I highly recommend this hotel. It was a wonderful stay

"I have to visit again."
Sherri H, 24 Août 2023

I cannot recommend this hotel a lot. What attracted us at first to book the hotel was the rooftop pool that is only open to guests. We could fully enjoy the pool in a relaxing atmosphere, not a rowdy party scene like the other hotel pools in the Tokyo / Kanazawa area. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are super comfortable, it was hard to leave the bed. The locations is perfect with many sightseeing areas within walking distance, and if not, the train stations are not far away. What makes us want to visit this hotel again, is the service. Every staff member was genuinely polite and nice. They helped us with whatever we needed and made us feel very welcome. Every member could speak to me in English and my partner in Japanese, so I think everyone can feel confident that they will be taken care of.

"Excellent Traditional Hotel, Great staff and location"
Tim C, 18 Février 2020

This was a business trip and my stay was booked by my group. I am very satisfied with my stay. The staff was wonderful and very helpful to a first time visitor who did not speak their language. You could not ask for a cleaner or more comfortable stay. I especially liked the location across the street from China Town and only 3 blocks from Tokyo Bay Park. Tokyo is the safest and cleanest city I have ever been. I also recommend the restaurant I had 4 breakfasts and 2 suppers there. I also needed laundry done and thought they did an excellent job. The only reason I did not give it a 5 Star is it did not have a pool and Athletic facilities. I was so busy I had no time for swimming and weights so it did effect my stay. I would stay here again.

"Stayed during Typhoon Hagibis and an earthquake tremor!"
RobinKClarke, 10 Novembre 2019

Was supposed to be our location for England v France Rugby World Cup pool game, cancelled due to the aforementioned typhoon. Room was quite large with great facilities, breakfast choice was good. It doubled as their bar area in the evening. The hotel is located right in China Town which is a vibrant lively place. You are also close to Yokohama bay and Yamashita Park, which are both beautiful. The trainline connecting Yokohama Station is nearby. On the evening of the typhoon we ate at the hotel's chinese restaurant which was excellent. Staff try to help almost too much at times, there was one hysterical moment where we asked a question, we were passed on to 2 more people before getting an answer. Fear not, there is an older lady in reception, super helpful speaks superb English. All in all, we were here for just 2 nights, enjoyed our stay in a good hotel.

"A tale of two hotels..."
Stephanie I, 05 Novembre 2019

It's true, what other reviewers are saying. This hotel has two faces, depending on the price of your room. The first night we stayed, at the beginning of our trip, was their standard "triple" room. There were three of us adults and I just booked one night to set up our "home base" before traveling to other areas of Japan. It was a tiny room, but fine, for the one night. At the end leg of our trip, we stayed 3 nights in the "Dynasty" suite. It had three beds and a large sitting area. Perfect for us as we each had two large suitcases for all our omiyage. Upgraded amenities for this room, compared to the first night. Location was perfect for late night Chinatown eating. (Highly recommend the Peking Duck rolls). There is a Family Mart down the street and train stations within walking distance.

"A changing Hotel"
switchie_nz, 20 Septembre 2019

We stayed here twice in about 2 weeks. The difference in rooms was amazing. 1st night the room. was luxurious with medium high beds with 4 pillows on each and lots of toiletries in bathroom. and complimentary bottled water. 2nd night we stayed room was average beds were very low and only 2 pillows on each bed. only bulk toiletries in bathroom and no bottled water. If I hander stayed before I would have thought it was just a typical room but the difference was amazing. The hotel was lovely though and do not have any complaints. We were there when the typhoon hit and the staff were amazing even to the point of sending a boy to the front and back streets of hotel to hail us a cab as the taxi phones were out of action. We had both breakfast and lunch in the restaurant and the food was lovely and plentiful. The breakfast croissants were as good as any I have had in Europe and would recommend them. The Burger was about 8 inches high and most of that was meat Pattie. Over all a great place to stay and right in china town and very close to port for cruise ships. I would stay there again. Although the beds were a little firm for me they suited other person so its a matter of taste.

"Great stay!"

We were a party of 6 persons in Yokohama to catch a cruise. It was full as it was the Odom period. This was our fourth time at the Rose and we felt at home. The reception was excellent as usual and I must commend Rosa for the help she rendered in getting information for me about church times at the cathedral. Everything worked at the hotel especially the airconditioning which was a relief as it was so hot in August. We will definitely be back and would recommend the Rose Hotel .....Thank you!
