We stayed at the Best Western Hotel Fino in December 2019. It is very close to many train stations and walking distance to Akihabara Electronic Town. The hotel room was small but probably very similar to most hotels in Tokyo. Happy with the reception and it was a pickup hotel for Princess Cruises transport to Yokohama. We actually travelled from Narita airport via the airport express train to Ueno Station. From there it is a 20-30 minute walk to this hotel. The hotel has a single list so , it can be slow getting to then floors while waiting for the lift. Apart from that we love the location and hospitality of the hotel.
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. We really liked the fact that it is very close to akihabara and many train stations. The staff is friendly. However the room are tiny tiny. Only one elevator for the entire guests. Our room was not very clean (especially the bathroom). Personally I won't come back but it can be an OK option for one night or if you are on a budget.
The hotel is in the middle all the happenings both of day and night, it's 3 minutes walk to the end of Ameyoko road and famous Takeya Building. Commuting is easy as it sits in the middle of Akihabara station where you can catch the bus to Fuji Kawaguchiko lake and JR Okachimachi where it takes you to pretty much everywhere in Tokyo. The room size is compact, the bed is comfortable, amenity is just great. Staff are nice and are willing to help out should you need anything, although their English efficiency is moderate, but they were able to handle basic requests just fine. I will definitely come back again.
I stayed in this Best Western as the first stop of my Tour of Japan to take in the Rugby World Cup 2019. It was exactly as described on the hotel web page and trip adviser. we walked to the hotel from the station, it was easy to find and well located in Akihabara, but very quiet once inside. Check in/ out were smooth and very easy. As with hotel in Japan - the room was small, but there was room for our cases- this was not the case in later hotels!!! the room was very clean with twin beds, tea making facilities and an OK size bathroom. But most importantly the hotel floor was none smoking. I would stay here again.
I loved this hotel. It was super convenient 5 minute walk from Okachimachi station & 10 minutes from Akihabara station. Extremely clean as you would except a Japanese hotel to be. Friendly staff that spoke perfect English. Lawsons just a few steps away. Lots of dining options nearby. I usually only stay at Best Western properties and they really value their elite members. All the room amenities worked perfectly fine. I am definitely coming back soon. 私を非常によく扱ってくれてありがとう。:)
We stayed in this hotel for a total of 5 nights in September 2019. They allow 2 adults and 2 young children to share the room which is a huge boon. Main reason I chose this hotel is because its located near Keisei Ueno station (around 15 mins walk away). We took Keisei Skyliner from/to Narita airport. This hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood between Ueno and Akihabara. There is a lawson nearby. It took around 10 mins walk to main part of Akihabara. The nearest train station is Suehirocho station (Ginza line) so direct line to Ginza, Shibuya, Ueno and Asakusa. Another nearby station is Okachimachi station (Yamanote line). so traveling to other parts of Tokyo is not a problem. The room is small (we hardly have any space to open our luggage) but its new and clean. Basic amenities provided are toileries (love the provided shampoo and body wash), hairdryer, electric kettle, TV (mainly japanese channels) and mini fridge. we have to kept our luggages closed and upright most times so that there is enough walking space. Hotel is pretty quiet during our stay. The staffs are friendly and helpful. They speak decent english so communication is not a problem. The hotel also provide luggage delivery service (TAQBIN) which is very helpful when we were going to Tokyo Disneyland Hotel (have to send the luggages 1 day before the actual check-in day). We did not try their breakfast because we prefer to try local fares nearby. Pro: - Decent location with eateries within walking distance. - Clean and new-ish room. - Love the toileries provided and bathtub in the bathroom is nice (quite normal in Japan though). - Lovely staffs who can speak good English. - Excellent housekeeping. - Quiet (room and neighbourhood). - Lawson nearby. Cons - Small room. - only 1 elevator (we did not experience long wait but if the hotel is fully occupied, it will be a nightmare). - Lots of walking (to train stations, nearby restaurants and shopping areas). - No in-room safe. - no "scenic" view (basically you see the building opposite the hotel from your hotel room). Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Very clean hotel in strategic position: you can get Yamamote line, metro line and jr trains by close stations by 5/10 minutes walking. Under the hotel there Is a supermarket open 24 hours! Room is not big but it's good for Tokyo standards. Bath produicts are very good quality. Perfect stay for turist couple.
Restroom is huge (for Tokyo standards), bed is comfy, and is close to many excellent places to eat in Akihabara. My computer charger is not compatible with Japanese outlets, and the staff gave me an adapter to use during my stay free of charge, that was a big productivity saver. The desk is quite tiny, so if you are going to be working there a lot, may want to seek other options.
Hotel is walking distance from train. Room is bigger than normal hotel in the same price in Tokyo. The room is nice, new and clean. Front desk staffs everyone are helpful and friendly. I am satisfied with everything this stay.
Keep up the good work. Thank you and Godbless always. Its our 1st time in japan and we have a wonderful stay. The staff are very very friendly and even give my brother a voucher for ice cream on his birthday.
Great place... new, clean, good price for Tokyo! They lent me an umbrella for the day when it was pouring rain. Very quiet room - didn't hear any noise from neighbors at all. Internet worked like a charm.
Very clean room, staff speak english and very friendly. Five minutes walk to Akihabara electric town main street, 10 minutes walk to Akihabara and Okachimachi JR stations, convenience store “Lawson” 20 meters from the hotel, many restaurants next to the hotel. I will book in the same hotel again.
The hotel is very new. Everything is still nice and clean. It's 400 m. from Suehirocho (G14) station by foot. Located close to Akihabara and Ueno. We even ended up walked back to the hotel from Ueno one night.
The room was consider small. But it was clean and tidy. Cozy room and great location. You could find many mini market arround the hotel. Many restaurants also near the hotel. Value for money. Recommended for solo travel.
This was by far the smallest and most expensive room we stayed in while in Japan, but it adjacent to Akihabara, Ueno, and many other amenities so it makes some sense. Happy to say there was a comfortable, true to size queen bed. AC in the room was controlled in the room, not by the hotel. Has a very mini fridge. Staff was very polite, everything was very clean. You get a late check-out if you book straight through the hotel too which was really nice. Breakfast was good but very expensive, especially when there is a cafe two blocks away with DELICIOUS, full course breakfast for under $10.00. I would def recommend this spot, especially if you are planning on being out seeing the sights versus spending a lot of time in your room.
Everything was really nice about this hotel: - staff: very polite, very helpful, above expectations. - room: very clean, quite decent in size considering that you're in Tokyo and very close to Akihabara. - location: very good, in walking distance from the Akihabara famous streets and Yodobashi and so forth. - cleanliness: top notch, also the room was cleaned daily; towels, bathrobes and toothbrushes on a daily basis. One of the best choices if you want to stay in Akihabara for sure.
I had traveled to Japan solo for three weeks from Narita to Hiroshima and back. Working with Best Western, I was curious to see how this new hotel delivers its service and I was not disappointed. The interiors are immaculate and the staff are very hard working; always greeting guests as they pass. Breakfast contained a variety of options and was very delicious. I really liked the card system used to indicate when you have finished your meal (this is something I'd like to incorporate at my own hotel back home). The front desk also had a supply of umbrellas for guests which I appreciated on a very rainy day. Should I visit Tokyo in future, I shall be glad to stay here again - Arigato!
we arrived very late on Wed night, and the staff upgrade double bed to twin beds, very nice. the staff there of very good english and smiles always on their faces. it is a brand new hotel just open in 2018. of very good value in terms of price. good room, great staff, near subway, price is acceptable in pricy Tokyo. i will definitely recommend to friend and will go to it again if visit Tokyo again.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was clean and tidy, and a good size. The bed and pillows allowed for a comfortable sleep. It is located within 8 minutes of two JR stations. There is wifi in the room, and the toiletries were great. There is no safe in the room and only one English speaking channel on the TV. Enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel which offered a limited selection of food. There are convenience stores close by if you do not wish to have breakfast at the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English. They were happy to look after our luggage for a couple of hours after we checked out. I would stay here again.
Very small rooms but this hotel was such a great deal, I booked two rooms for us (one couple, one 15 year old). The staff was extremely helpful trying to help us figure out if the sumo wrestling practice was happening. The rooms are small but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and fully equipped with toiletries. The hotel location is fantastic - a short walk between 2 different train stations - one with a ton of restaurants and Akibara (sp?) with all of the gaming and action.
Small and cozy efficient rooms with spaces only really for the bed and desk, but very efficiently spaced and western standards. Good for families. Did not try breakfast but there is a convenience store nearby for morning pastries and other coffee shops. Not as central to many tourist sites but close to JR line
So few western brands in Tokyo in the budget and mid-range price that most of my loyalty programs are worthless here. Luckily there is Best Western and this new hotel fits the bill perfectly. Perfectly situated between JR Stations and subways there is no place you can't travel within 25 minutes. Also near plenty of shopping, restaurants and movie theaters. The outside of the hotel is extremely plain and easy to miss and the front door is on the side of the building. The check in area is small but clean. There is a computer with a printer free to use. The two women who man the front desk during the morning and day shift are very friendly and very helpful Their English is good enough to help with everything I needed. They made my stay more enjoyable and easy. The room of course can't hold more than 2 suitcases really. But that;s expected in a Tokyo budget hotel. The room is clean and well organized. Same goes for the bathroom. The toiletries are top notch which is a big plus. No made in China products here. The bed is comfortable and so are the pillows. The room is well soundproofed. There's also a small refrigerator too. The climate control system worked perfectly. The only negative is that the TV has only 1 English Channel, CNN. Make sure you book on BW's website which for me offered an Asian special of 3 nights for the price of 2. With this special 4 nights was only $275. A steal for this quality of budget hotel in Tokyo. I never tried the breakfast as I kept yogurt and fruit purchased at the 24 hour Lawson next door. When I'm in Tokyo this is now my go to hotel.
We couldn't find the entrance, as it is on the side of the building. They have a small lobby, but friendly staff. The room size is small, but this is normal for tokyo standard. Because it is new, everything was clean and in good condition. The train is about a 10 minute walk. There was a Lawson nearby on the corner. Didn't really notice any good food near hotel. But lots of food near the Yodobashi Akiba shopping plaza (10 min walk). I like the Japanese Fluffy Pancake at the French Toast Factory and conveyor belt sushi at Magurobito Akihabara. Overall this hotel is centrally located and if the price is right, I would book again. It was pretty quick and easy to get to the Haneda airport from here.
While the room was small it was comfortable and just what we needed after long days exploring the city. The heat was on since it was cold outside so luckily we were able to crack the window at night to cool us while sleeping. We had a pleasant stay and could definitely consider this hotel for our future needs
