"Great location for the airport and shops"
We had a triple room which worked well. Great access to airport. Handy shops for snacks and souvenirs on the floor below just in the shopping centre.
"A great place to get over jet lag"
The Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport hotel is a huge hotel attached to the Haneda International Airport in Tokyo. It is the perfect location for a stop over coming into or leaving Tokyo. We stayed there entering Japan. It was a great way to recover from the long flight and get adjusted to local time before heading out to tour Japan. The rooms are good sized and outfitted with modern decor and furniture. This is not a resort. It is a great resting point after a long trip to Japan across the Pacific. The breakfast buffet is very good with an assortment of Japanese and Western breakfast fare. The Japanese breakfast outshines the Western side. I didn't go to Japan to eat Western food. I've stayed at other hotels at Haneda Airport. The Villa Fontaine Grand is the best one I've stayed at.
"The Airport Hotel That Every Airport Needs"
I don't get the negativity of some of these reviews. The Villa Fontaine Grand at Haneda Airport is nearly the perfect airport hotel. It's just steps from the arrivals hall (no shuttle buses, no moving walkways, no taxis etc). Just good clean rooms that have everything you need. Sure, I'm not a huge fan of automatic check-in, but you can always opt out and choose a human-assisted check in. My wife was recently rather ill before a flight out of Haneda back to Canada and they were the soul of kindness. The provided a room where she could shower and nap while she waited for her flight (for a very modest fee). And there's a rooftop spa with views of Mt Fuji. So, come on, people: This is the airport hotel that almost every airport on earth needs and only Haneda is lucky enough to have it. Go. Stay there. Enjoy the spa. You will thank me. Just as I thank Villa Fontaine. You guys get it all right.
"Perfect hotel near Haneda airport"
Perfect location if you're on long transit or you just want a hotel near the airport since it's just connected to Terminal 3 of Haneda. Lovely hotel, clean and spacious rooms plus very helpful staff! There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby as well.
"30mins waiting time to checkin"
The checkin time took 30mins as the checkin machines were all under maintenance from 10pm to 3am on a Sunday night which happened also three months ago. Terrible experience
"So easy at Haneda"
This was my second stay, and both were fabulous. You exit customs, walk through the Haneda Gardens corridor and you are there. That easy. The room was great. Check in and out were easy and quick. I love this place.
"Perfect for an overnight stay before your flight"
It was difficult to find the hotel after we got off the shuttle train. There was a single sign near the train and then no more signs for it in the airport. We eventually found the hotel by watching an YouTube video and were very pleased with the room, which had a view of the taxi holding area and a bit of the runway. It was strangely hypnotic watching the taxis, especially at night. We could also see planes landing. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. When you're heading towards the lifts for the rooms from the reception area you do need to remember to pick up amenities like razors, hair brushes, combs, toothbrushes and flannels, but they had fully stocked that section so we had no trouble picking up the bits we needed. The location is perfect for flying the next day. We even did a little shopping after we arrived as there are so many shops, including a 7 Eleven for 24x7 snacks and drinks.
"Best accommodation at Haneda Airport"
We stayed here for one night after arriving at Terminal 3 Haneda Airport around 9PM. It is conveniently located right next to the airport. Once you collect your luggage and exit the arrival gate, you then look for the Haneda Airport Garden signage that is on the same floor as the arrival floor. You then cross an indoor walkway bridge that will lead you to the hotel. Electronic check in was available. With the little help from the staff, I managed to quickly check in to our room. The room was a little small but adequate for two people. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was great, the linen felt fresh and the pillows were good. The room was really quiet, a huge perk for the light sleeper like me. We also grabbed supper at the nearby Lawson just beside the hotel entrance. Another nice perk of the property. We checked out quite early and headed to the Tokyo Disneyland the following day. We rode the limousine bus and the stop was just under the indoor walkway bridge that led us back to the airport terminal. Overall, a great stay and I would not hesitate coming back! Well done.
"One of the best airport hotels!"
Room is compact with a great view, appreciate the amenities like air purifier and laundry room downstairs. The great thing about the laundry machines is that it has a passcode to retrieve your clothes so no one can steal them. The Japanese minds are so clever!
"Short stay for day use done right"
Landed at Haneda at about 6 AM in the morning - all tired. It was a good call to get a day use room for 4 hours at Villa Fontaine. We had comfortable sleep before heading out to Shinkansen for Kyoto. Room was clean, amenities sufficient, noise level was nil and location was perfect.
"Excellent Value and Convenience"
Had a great stay. Not sure what some of the negative reviews are about? You cannot beat the convenience of walking from the arrivals hall in Terminal 3 with your luggage cart to check in and then up to your room. The twin room was comfortable enough to move around freely. It even had a sofa like bench. Yes the bathroom was small but it's Japan. Great water pressure, cold AC that cooled the room quickly and large breakfast buffet with western and Japanese options. I stayed at the Mercure Haneda on my way into Tokyo and the room was tiny. No space for even 1 check in bag. And much more expensive. Don't stay anywhere else. This is an excellent deal for the price and convenience. TOP TIP: Take a 10 minute Uber or grab to SUMMIT STORE OTA OOTORI BRANCH which is a fantastic supermarket that has delicious prepared foods. Best time to go is between 12 and 5pm for the best selection.
"Convenient airport hotel"
Convenient airport hotel by terminal 3 of Haneda. There is an Onsen which provides a great soak of that tired body. There is also a restaurant within the Onsen after a good hot bath. A conbini below the hotel if you need to grab something light. A functional hotel, not luxurious. Can be a little small in size but not cramped like those typical business hotels in Japan.
"Tiny room"
Our room was very small. Think of it as a size of a small college dorm room. There's no place to stow your stuff. Just think of it as a place to sleep in between flights
"Good Overnight Stay!"
We only stayed one night here. From the airport terminal to the hotel it is a long walk to this hotel which was surprising in a way. Our room was small but clean and comfortable for a night. Staff were friendly and helpful thankfully as the self service booths to check in don't always work for us. We did not have breakfast included as we had an early morning flight. There are enough restaurants at the airport to have dinner and lots of shops to get any last minute gifts or souvenirs etc. There is also a great big open aired observation deck where you can watch planes land and take off which was great. Just be warned if you need to get to another terminal leave earlier than planned as the hotel is a long walk to the free shuttle bus and the hotel doesn't offer any free shuttle buses. This hotel and my flight were at different terminals which I wasn't aware of till a lot later into the trip so was unable to change hotels. The 3 terminals can be a fair distance apart but thankfully the free shuttle bus is handy but can be more time consuming. Something I will keep in mind next time.
"Decent airport hotel"
We will be arriving at Tokyo late hence picked this hotel for a night stay to have a good rest before start the journey the next day. I booked a 3 bedded room as we are travelling with kids. Room is extremely small that we can't even open a luggage. Bathroom is small as well. All the bathroom will get a bathtub and that make it even smaller. Pyjamas are provided. Easy navigate to the hotel once you are out from the terminal. It is a self check via kiosk in and it wqs a smooth one. The hotel is good for 1 night stay. There is a lawson right in front of the entrance to the hotel and restaurants is in the same building. Very convenient to get food. Overall, recommended for those travellers that has long layover or arrived late at Tokyo.
"Conveniently accessible from the airport"
Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport is conveniently located on the Termianl 3 arrival floor of Haneda airport. It is 8-10 minutes walk inside the airport « walls ». Haneda Airport Garden access door is the way to reach the hotel after walking by numerous shops and restaurants. The entrance of the « Haneda Airport Garden » is behind the « information desk » as you exit the « arrival » terminal. The same area where you can take the train, but the information desk is « blocking » the view of the entrance of the « Haneda airport Garden sign ». Once you find the corridor, you just keep going. Be sure to follow « Villa Fontaine » signs as they're are 2 different hotels in the same area. Check-in and check-out are all done by « ATM ». The check-in time is precise. If you arrive before check-in time, you might have to wait, or you can ask them to keep your luggage until check-in time while you go explore Tokyo. I paid at check-in, so check-out was quick as I just needed to insert my room key to finish the check-out process. Be sure to grab your body washcloth, tooth brush if needed before entering the hotel and getting to your room. There is a display on the right by the entrance door to the elevator. The bed: comfortable. Room: small and spacious at the same time. It has a small safe, small refrigerator, kettle and some tea, and water bottles. Bathroom: big shower, toilet and sink. There were sandals and spa clothes to use to go to the « Onsen » the Japanese spa. The use of the « Onsen » was included with the room rate I paid. I used the service. It was relaxing and rejuvenating. From my room (floor 9) it was a little tricky to get there. I had to go down to floor 6, then follow the signs for spa to get to the specific elevator to get to the floor 12. It worked out well. If you are using the « Onsen » I suggest that you leave all your jewelry, cell phone in your room safe. You just need your room key, the ticket for the « Onsen » to give you access (if it was included with your room). If the « Onsen » wasn't included with your room rate, you can go and pay for it. Just a quick note: If you never been to an « Onsen », you might be surprised to know that to use the spa area, you need to be naked, and men and women have separated areas. It is an area with different « pools » with water at different temperatures and minerals. There was also a sauna, but I did not use it. The buffet was a mix of Asian and American styles dishes.
"Fantastic Stay Near the Airport with an Amazing Onsen!"
Loved our stay at Hotel Villa Fontaine! The hotel was very clean, spacious, and extremely convenient. We really appreciated the self check-in process, which made everything quick and easy after a long flight. There were plenty of toiletries provided, and downstairs had all the essential shops and restaurants you could need. The location was perfect — an easy walk from the international airport to the hotel, making travel so stress-free. It was also very easy to catch the train into Tokyo. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the onsen experience — absolutely amazing and so relaxing! Overall, we had the best experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
"Haneda Airport Stay"
Great location, very friendly staff and very nice western breakfast and dinner options. The available spa was outstanding!
"So convenient after arriving on a late night flight."
Party of 3 friends. Arrived around 10:30pm following our Sydney to Haneda flight. The hotel was a short walk from terminal 3. Self check in was a fairly simple and quick process. We had booked a room for 3 adults requesting separate beds for each of us. The room was made up with two twins and a converted sofa bed so not as much space as having just two twin beds in the room but for one night it was perfectly fine. The room was spotless, the staff were lovely. Convenience store was handy for snacks and some breakfast items. The location was perfect to recharge before starting our 2nd trip to Japan. Will definitely rebook next time to avoid the late night train/taxi ride.
"Great for a night before your flight"
Only stayed for one night before our flight home however is absolutely fine if this is also your plan. The room was clean and a decent size, with a smart TV and a safe. This is not a hotel to stay in for several days while travelling around Tokyo. The hotel is huge and there are several restaurants, bars and shops in the area around it, with many shops being tax free also. No complaints.
"Ideal airport stay"
Stayed just one night in a Japan Airlines themed room, to catch an early domestic flight the next morning. Rooms are modern and of decent size and have everything required for a short transit stay. We did not use any F&B outlets nor the public baths during our stay. The location is excellent, as part of the Haneda Gardens shopping and food precinct, connected directly by a walkway to the International Terminal. Despite the hotel having over 1000 rooms, check in was quick and easy via the self serve kiosks, there are plenty of staff around if assistance was required. Check out was equally simple. The hotel also has an excellent luggage storage set up, via a QR code. They will store your bags if you arrive prior to 3pm. I highly recommend the hotel if needing accommodation at the airport.
"3-Star for the Proice of a 5-Star without daily Cleaning"
We stayed here for 2 days at the end of our Japan trip as the hotel is connected to the terminal. As that is the only positive argument in lieu of this hotel, staying here was a major mistake in retrospective. The room - we took one of the higher echelon - was small and worn down. It was not even cleaned every day. Unbelievable - I have never encountered such in my whole live, especially in Asia (see photo for proof). TV-vise, even CNN and BBC where Japanese-dubbed, which could not be taken out - only a minor minus. The breakfast was overcrowded and of lesser quality. All this for the price of the 5-star. My advice: Go somewhere else.
"Great value"
Very efficient, came check in through the kiosks machine Got the room number and room key, there are 4 lifts tower A,B,C,D for both hotel villa fountain premier and grand. The process all are very fast, very recommended if you have early morning flights from Haneda airport. The room is neat and very spacious If you're lucky you'll have big discounts on the ROL
"Clean, Comfortable, Convenient"
My daughter and two grandchildren and I stayed one night to catch a very early flight. The room was clean, comfortable and convenient. It was our last night in Tokyo and we all agreed in was as nice as any place we had stayed in Japan. Recommend highly for convenience.
"We preferred this to the Park Royal"
We stayed 1 night here but also stayed at the Park Royal for 1 night and this hotel is much better in all ways for the same price. We booked the twin room in both hotels and the only thing about staying here is it's a bit of a walk to get to.It's sort of in the new shopping centre so outside terminal 3 and proably 800m walk maybe more .This might be a concern for those with mobility issues but we found it had more spacious rooms and friendly, helpful staff. It's in a convenient location being just near the shopping centre. You can go downstairs in the shopping mall for many restaurant options and they have a matisukiyo drugstore (at the very end) of shopping centre for some last minute Japanese skincare purchases etc.We liked this hotel much more than the Park Royal and would use again happily.
"Sliding door alarm clock"
Generally nice and clean hotel but our room was next to the vending machine and it felt like the sliding door was bouncing off my head when it was used every 26 minutes between 1 and 4am.
"Convenient Stay for Early Flight"
I stayed for one night before an early domestic flight from Haneda to Kumamoto. Everything was fine, and the stay was smooth and convenient.
"Each Night Comes With Spa Access"
Very convenient for those coming in on a super late flight and don't want to travel much more - hotel is small and somewhat pricey but is very clean and comes with access to the rooftop spa, which is a fantastic way to start the day (although you need quite the walk to get to both the hotel itself and the spa once inside the hotel). The spa does not allow for clothes once inside gendered areas, so this is not the place to go to if you are uncomfortable being naked. Quiet enough that I didn't hear any flights leaving for landing and I wish I had more time to really use the facilities more. Checking in and out is almost entirely automated so no worries about red eye flights!
"Relaxing luxury hotel with easy access to international terminal."
Nicest airport hotel I've stayed at. Great size room with giant tub. Onsite spa with excellent access to airport garden restaurants and shops. Quiet and peaceful. Westerners welcome 🙏🏻 thanks very much!
"Good hotel for flight transit"
Stayed 1 night prior to an early flight home to the UK The hotel is well situated at terminal 3. It's a 5 minute walk into the arrivals and departures and situated in Haneda Garden where there are several restaurants of choice. Checkin easy and helpful staff. The room, which was a basic one, was small, with the double bed set parallel and tight against the bathroom partition wall which made it feel cramped. The bathroom was small. We didn't find the bed that comfortable, somewhat hard, but the room suited our purpose. There is a nice bar lounge but expensive. There is also a spa which is good for relaxing. We found it very good for the purpose of airport transit but its location is not good for anything else. There is a Airport transfer bus into the centre of Tokyo which costs 14000 yen so cheap. The hotel has a nice atmosphere and is well presented and we would recommend it when needing a short stay for flight facilitation both outbound and inbound.
"Perfect place to stay overnight at Haneda airport"
I had chosen the Villa Fontaine Grand Hotel Haneda airport simply for an overnight stay after a long trip from Europe. It turned out to be an excellent choice! Quickly accessible via Terminal 3 the Hotel appeared to be modern, clean and comfortable. The room contained all kind of amenities one could only wish for. There is an excellent gym available, however it costs 2.200 Yen I very much enjoyed the short stay at the Villa Fontaine Grand Hotel. Single room for improvement or rather single recommendation I would like to highlight: The costs for the gym should be declared either before Check-in or, alternatively, during the reservation process. Thank you for a short but very pleasant stay!
"Convenient to Haneda with 5 Star prices"
Five star hotel in a good location with five star prices. Room 1105 was luxurious with a large king bed and a view of the river. The room came with all the usual extras. There was a long couch, TV and fridge. The bathroom was very spacious with an bath tub as well as a separate shower. Toiletries were provided. Unfortunately the TV had only 2 English TV Channels BBC and CNN. Other negative was that the room felt much smaller than 33 sq meters. The hotel was a short walking distance to restaurants and to the airport as well as to the train station.
"Solid airport hotel with clean comfortable rooms"
Ideal when coming into Haneda airport or before flying. It is attached to level 2 arrivals via an indoors walkway. The hotel is massive. Check in and out are done via machine - which is always fun - but there is an English language option and there are plenty of staff around if computer says no. The rooms are relatively small but they are clean and comfortable plus you can take your airport trolley to the room too if you like. Overall a good airport hotel.
"Great stay in Haneda Airport"
We arrived late and decided to stay in Haneda before starting our 9-day Tokyo trip and it was a great choice. The hotel is right by Terminal 3, so it spared us time and energy to wind down after a 7-hour flight. The onsen (Izumi Tenku) was very relaxing, with multiple pools indoor and outdoor. The sauna was also very good, not to mention the food that was available late in the evening. We took a chance with the "run of the house" room selection that turned out great (2 twin beds) - comfortable beds, clean and great for us the spend a night before we started exploring Tokyo.
"Good overnight stay."
We stayed at the Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport because we landed in Narita but had an early flight to Okinawa from Haneda and so we decided to stay overnight since it's located in terminal 3. Nice room with comfortable beds and a nice view. The people at the front desk were very helpful and nice so we will definitely stay here again.
"Stay at Hotel Villa Fontine Grand Haneda Airport"
Very convenient to airport. Nice room. Nice and efficient staff. Nice buffet. Food and shops close by made the stay nice.
"Don't stay here."
The checkin experience is automated like most things in Japan, only this one is really crappy. First it scanned my passport, then it wanted me to enter my name (you just scanned my passport), then it couldn't find my booking. There's like 20 kiosk machines but only one person on the desk. I joined the queue and waited half an hour for the person on the desk. Took them a while to find our booking, then told us we couldn't have rooms on the same floor or even in the same wing of the hotel. I feel that this would have been something you could have told me at the time we booked! Hotel made us pay an extra 2000 yen to "upgrade" from our "superior queen" to a twin room. The room was so small it didn't even have space to put a suitcase. Needless to say - we won't be back.
"Excellent location and rooms."
Have stayed before overnight, but this time for 3 nights. Room clean and well serviced each day. Room on the tiny side, but this is Japan after all. Pajamas changed each day. Slippers are one size for size 5 shoes. Onsen is a huge drawcard on the 10th floor - try it, you won't be disappointed. Breakfast more than adequate with good mix. Plenty of eating options in the airport area.
"Excellent airport hotel"
We had a morning international flight, and decided to book this hotel even though we had already paid for a night in a hotel in Shinjuku (which we didn't like much), to avoid worrying whether a morning taxi would arrive. We arrived late in the evening at the Villa Fontaine. The price was surprisingly low for an airport hotel . There is an automated check-in system but as we had a couple of questions we waited to see a staff member, which didn't take long. Although our rooms were small, they were entirely satisfactory. In particular the bathrooms, although small, were better than most hotel bathrooms we had encountered in Japan. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, instead walking over to the terminal to be sure of our flight check-in. The walk to the terminal is slightly longer than promised on the web site, but still very quick. I would certainly stay here again. Perhaps the signposting within the hotel and to the airport walkway could be improved.
"Excellent rest Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport"
Though the room space is limited but it serve the purpose. We have 5 luggage and 4 person. Still we are able to sleep in the room. It's super convenient and cozy. The view is superb. Toilet is fantastically clean. I love the simplicity. The staff are very friendly and helpful and even willing to upgrade our room but as we only sleep for the night, I did not opt for the upgrade. Check-in was super fast. They are able to communicate in English. Thank you for giving us a wonderful night.
"Best Airport Hotel ever!"
I have a quick night stay at this airport hotel, saw some nice photos of their rooftop onsen, and proximity to Haneda Airport, and the amenities. Truly impressed! Self check-in is efficient. The room is spacious. The onsen is superb with a post-onsen restaurant open 24/7 for some quick bites. The whole package is very nice, that 24/7 diner makes me rather have breakfast than spending on some paid lounge at airport. Totally recommend this!!
"Beware of bait and switch"
I checked in the morning of December 17th, after a long flight, for four hours before my city hotel was ready for check in. I was offered a four or six hour rate and took the four hour rate of 20,000 yen which was expensive . When I checked rates when I was in the room I was dismayed to find the rate for the entire day was 20,000 yen. Consequently, a six hour rate would have cost more than an overnight rate based on their formula. I went back to the lady who checked me in and all of a sudden she couldn't comprehend English anymore. She then called a male colleague to assist who wouldn't speak in English which was highly unusual. He started speaking wildly in Japanese to the lady, who then had nothing to say to me. I walked away out of total frustration and back into the hot and stuffy compact room, and left after only three hours as it was so uncomfortable. Didn't use the shower or bed. Not a welcoming arrival to Japan. Suggest the Royal Park in Terminal 3, whose rooms and staff are far more user friendly and speak English.
"No heating in winter, ineffective night management, and complete silence after formal complaints."
We stayed here with my elderly mother before an early international flight, and it was one of the most distressing hotel experiences we have ever had. From the moment we checked in, the heating in our room did not work at all. Despite repeated complaints and an engineer visit, the room remained freezing throughout the night. At around 3:00 AM, I spent nearly one hour speaking with the duty manager in a conference area, clearly explaining the situation and the impact on my elderly mother. The only immediate solution offered was an extra blanket, which is unacceptable in winter. A room change was proposed at 3:00 AM. Although we had to check out at 7:00 AM for an early flight and moving luggage in the middle of the night was extremely difficult, I still agreed to check the alternative room in good faith. Unfortunately, that room was also cold and not properly heated, so the issue was not resolved. We were forced to endure the freezing conditions until check-out, getting almost no sleep before a long-haul flight. After the stay, I sent a formal complaint and refund request. The hotel replied once refusing responsibility, and despite follow-up messages, has since completely ignored us. A hotel connected to an international airport should be able to provide basic heating and proper care—especially for elderly guests. Very disappointing experience.
"Fun, convenient and clean hotel connected to Haneda Terminal 3"
Perfect place to stay when flying in/out or transferring with a long layover at Tokyo Haneda. The hotel is connected to the airport and features fun theme rooms and an onsen open 24/7. It's a great place for a midnight or pre-dawn dip if you're jetlagged. The character-themed rooms are also a fun and memorable way to pass time before or after a flight. The hotel restaurant is good, but there are also several other food options available in the adjacent Haneda Garden shopping mall. As the restaurant seems to serve the same food all the time, its something to keep in mind before paying for meals in advance at the time of booking.
"Awesome hotel, check-in is terrible"
I have stayed here 3 times now. The hotel itself is great. The location is perfect. Check-in the first time was a bit of a pain. The computers were failing but the staff sorted it. Check-in the second time was flawless. The terminals worked with no issues. Check-in the third time. This is where it all went wrong. We were at the peak of check-in time. Line up and wait for a terminal. Put in my details, scan my passport. It errors and prints out a slip saying to go to the desk. It was at that point I realised basically everyone was getting the same thing. There was a huge line to the desk and no organisation. Eventually I got to talk to someone. They said there was a problem with my room, there was only a queen bed instead of twin beds. I said we booked for twin beds. She said to go collect my luggage I had transferred then go to this other counter and the original room would be ready instead. I got my bags, went to the other counter where there was a closed sign. Confused I waited for a bit as there were 5 staff members but they were all doing paperwork or something. I went and found someone else. She took my passports, then said I needed to go to a terminal. Back to where I started. The staff member went through the items on the screen. I queried the bed situation. She pointed to some room ID thing on the screen and said "this is what you booked". We got the key cards and bundled the family with all our bags up the lift. We got into the room to find a single queen bed. Back down the lift to tell them we have the wrong room. Lined up yet again. They said that my room is correct. The booking type is "Run of house". I said yeah, but it clearly says 2 twin beds, thats what we booked. It says it on our receipt. She kept saying but no, its "run of house". Someone else came over and told me the same thing. I said that this is the 3rd time I have stayed here and I booked exactly the same way. They said "You were lucky". I asked how am i "lucky" when what I booked said 2 twin beds, I showed the confirmation email again clearly showing we booked "2 twin beds" and said I don't care what the room type is, we booked 2 twin beds. They then issued us new room keys and sorted. So the room was there, I don't know what the difficulty was.
"Spacious, Well-equipped, High Tech Hotel"
We stayed at the Villa Fontaine Premier Hotel at Haneda Airport in Tokyo on a return trip from Bangkok. We selected this hotel because it was connected to the airport, and there were many transportation options for a couple of excursions that we had planned. I will say that the staff were very courteous, helpful, and accommodating. The room we selected was spacious with a nice seating area, separate closet and bathroom area. We also had a view of the Tama River with one wall of windows and nice blackout curtains for sleeping. Everything in the room has English and Japanese options, so it is easy for an American to navigate what is certainly a high-tech room. There is a spa and exercise room for those people who want those amenities.
"Convenience around Haneda"
We've stayed at this hotel twice, it's not that big for the price especially coming from staying at a huge ryokan for a third of the price, it was hard to adjust but you're paying for the convenience and that alone is worth the money. Not only is there a Lawson but it's conveniently located so that you can catch the train or monorail in either direction, hold your luggage before you check in and after you check out allowing you to make ample use of your time if your flight is later in the night. They previously offered free shuttles to Disney, around spots like shibuya, shinjuku and another garden, but I guess they had stopped it at some point which is a bit unfortunate. Would be back again regardless just again the convenience is worth it. The dinner and breakfast buffets were enjoyable as well. Both times we were not able to experience the onsen and hope to do,
"Convenient for late arrival, early departure or transit"
The best of best for Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport is: its location is unbeatable. Conveniently located right outside of HND Airport, it takes only a few minutes by walking from Terminal 3 to Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, it's actually located within a pretty decent shopping mall. The room is, however, pretty small, but fairly clean. If you have to depart early, arrive late, or just transit for overnight, then Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport is an option for consideration.
"Perfect Haneda Airport location."
Couldn't be a better location for access to Haneda Airport as it is practically in the airport (3 minute walk to check in counters at T3). Stayed in awesome spacious ANA themed room overlooking the airport/runway. Super quiet rooms. Could have stayed longer than one night and use as a base for Tokyo and take efficient monorail into central Tokyo (15 minutes). Only downside was the inefficient check in process with kiosks that don't work.
"Superbly convenient hotel"
Really convenient hotel located right at Terminal 3 Haneda Airport and a short ealk after collecting your luggage and exiting the terminal. Located at Haneda Airport Garden with lots of shopping and eating options (and a Lawson kombeni!) right wt the door step. Checking in and out is super convenient with lots of automated kiosks with kelpers nearby if you are having trouble. Room size is small, as expected, but superbly clean with modern amenities and even has pajamas and alippers provided! The hotel is also connected at the terminal to the trains, buses, monorails and taxis. And if you would need to leave your luggage to go off for a day tour or such, the Cloak room for you to leave your luggages and bags is really convenient and no cost for hotel guests. Highly recommended.
"Layover at Haneda airport"
We had a 18hr layover and booked a room here. It was all we needed and more. Highly recommend it. We had a good nights sleep. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant 70 bucks for a buffet is pricey.
"Excellent choice for transit"
I strongly recommend this hotel for transit at Haneda airport. The room is spacious, clean and beautiful. The size is really good for Tokyo standards. Not only that I can lay out 2 big suitcases with extra room to spare, it can even fit in a bench soft. Bed is comfortable. A/C, water temperature and water pressure are all perfect. There are many kiosks at the lobby for fast self check-in and -out. No wait time at all. It's connected to the Haneda T3 and also the airport mall with plenty of food options and shops. The breakfast is amazing and delicious with plenty of Japanese and western options.
"Much nicer than before"
The reception was nicer more attentive. The place was bustling so make your reservations. This time the room on the 10th floor was nice. Convenient walk to the hotel from terminal 3 arrivals 15 minute walk. Outside the hotel there are many stores I mainly use the Lawsons drinks sweet bread drinks hot cold. And further on there is a pretty complete drugstore. Also there is an information desk that has wheelchairs to use no cost. And a Takyubin which is a delivery service for your large suitcase that you don't want to lug all over Tokyo in crowded streets and trains. Will you be going out for a couple of days and coming back well the hotel will hold your luggage for free.
"Bicyclists, avoid this hotel!"
Bicyclists avoid this hotel! Tokyo is fun to ride around, but bicycles are not welcome in this hotel. If you do not want to leave it unattended in a lonely public place, you are forced to dissemble and pack it into a suitcase every day. Wirhout any apology or gratification. Definitely no 4**** service :-(
"Quiet and comfortable"
We arrived to Tokyo after 8pm and spent the night at this hotel before flying to Osaka the next morning, after a 10 hour flight I just wanted to sleep the hotel was quiet, very clean, very stylish and very comfortable, I really couldn't ask for more, staff were very polite and helpful, I thoroughly recommend this hotel if you have an early flight.3
"A comfortable location fir a short stay in Tokyo!"
Perfect location for a short stay in Tokyo! As a tourist the food court of Haneda airport offers the best food chains in Tokyo.
"Convenient and nice hotel if you have an early flight home!"
Hotel is connected to Haneda Airport which was super convenient since it was our last night and we had an early flight the next morning. Would recommend staying here if you have a similar situation. Hotel was very clean. The room was also clean and updated but small. There are plenty of dining and shopping options since it's part of the airport. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, we were happy with the hotel.
"Well situated Airport Hotel"
We visited this hotel on our first night in Tokyo. It was a short free shuttle bus ride from the international terminal. Then a walk past the airport Gardens. Check in and check out are done by kiosk. With the help of staff if required. The room was completely quiet with black out curtains and overlooked the canal. The buffet restaurant for breakfast is very large and has a large variety of dishes. And the staff couldn't have been nicer. It is a short covered and air conditioned ( thank God it was 36 deg) walk to the connecting rail network to the Shinkasen bullit train. Would recommend
"Perfect Location for Tired Travelers Flying Out of Haneda"
I definitely recommend staying here! Perfect for the end of a trip — the location is unbeatable, right at the airport. Prices are incredibly affordable, allowing you to save some yen for your next adventure. Free Wi-Fi is available, which makes it even more convenient for the tired traveler. The rooms were decent, though I did notice food stains on the bed cover, which was disappointing. The missing star is due to service. When checking in, I was clearly struggling with my child and luggage. I came with my cart and, while the staff did speak English and helped me with the self check-in, they didn't assist further with the bags. Perhaps it was just a busy night, but it stood out compared to the otherwise excellent hospitality standards in Japan. One important note: the hotel is located in Terminal 3, so if you're flying from Terminals 1 or 2, allow extra time to get there by the hotel's frequent shuttle service or a taxi. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for travelers flying out of Haneda due to its combination of price, comfort, and location. While there may be some minor issues, they should not deter anyone from booking a stay. The overall value of the hotel is significant, and I would still recommend it to fellow travelers.
"Place to rest before leaving Japan"
I stayed here for one night before my flight out of Haneda. The hotel was very busy. (There was another hotel across the lobby that was higher end and less hectic.) The queen room was very compact, but did fit a small sofa and table. If you have a lot of luggage, you may have issues walking around your room unless you opt for a larger room. But it was fine for one night. The bathroom was modern and clean with a deep tub. There was a kettle, fridge, plus some coffee and tea. Only the AC was little loud. There are a number of restaurants and shops within the terminal, so you don't need to go out of the airport. Most of the restaurants close around 9 or 10 pm and also don't open early. I ended up getting breakfast from Lawsons. They do offer late checkout, but it's by the hour and strangely, by the number of people in your room. My friend and I had the exact same room type (she downgraded so we could be on the same floor). We extended our stays by an hour. She paid ~$16 while I paid about ~$28 since I had another person in my room.
"Great Hotel at Haneda Airport"
I had to spend the night at Haneda and chose this hotel and I am very happy. The hotel is attached to Terminal 3 at Haneda which made it very easy to get to. The room was a good a size and very clean. It had a nice bathroom and a big TV in the room. The TV had YouTube and Netflix so you watch your own shows since there weren't many English channels. The room was also very quiet. I did not hear any planes taking off. My room faced the sea, but some rooms face the terminal. Check in was also easy because they had a kiosk that did everything. You just scan your passport and the kiosk will verify your details and give you a key to your room.
"Great place to stay for a day or 2 before flying out"
This hotel is attached to the airport. Great stay for last 1or 2 days in Tokyo. Excellent customer service. Walk to terminal no transfer needed. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. Rooms were small by US standards but didn't job. I'd definitely stay again
"Cannot recommend"
I have stayed in wide variety of places over the years - some that cost three to four times as much as Villa Fontaine. Unfortunately, despite the other amenities I just cannot recommend this location. My experience with an extremely sexist bar tender left such a sour taste in my mouth that I have felt compelled to let others know what to expect. We reserved three rooms for our family after a lovely two week stay in Japan and I am sad to end this fantastic trip on such a sour note. The hospitality everywhere else on this beautiful and sacred island has been top notch. Upon checking in, we were given coupons for free alcoholic drinks at the hotel bar. We don't drink, but this happens a lot. We don't usually use the coupons but the view at the bar was so lovely my husband and I thought we'd grab teas or something before heading to bed for an early flight back to the states. Upon sitting down, Mr. Yamamoto gave me a lot of guff about using the coupon to order a simple grapefruit juice with soda water (zero alcohol). Fine. No problem. I'll pay for the drink. Even though I've never actually had a hotel ever give me an issue about this before. Then he proceeded to give my husband the same guff about ordering a non-alcoholic beer. Fine. I hadn't brought up the coupon about the beer. We will pay. We just want to enjoy the view and thought of others were getting free drinks why not try. But the vibe was so off after being treated like we were trying to scam the system, we decided to head to the room. My husband had finished his non-alcoholic beer but I had not finished my grapefruit juice and soda water. Mr. Yamamoto practically sprinted across the bar to tell me I was not allowed to take my juice up to the room. Talk about mortifying. So I had to leave my half drank grapefruit juice, that I paid for because I wasn't allowed to bring it with me up to my room even though there is amble free beer in the mini fridge of the room. It all felt very unnecessary and rude for no reason. I've never been treated in such a way in a hotel before. Especially one that tries to act like a 5 star facility. I can promise you I won't be back here.
"Four Hour Stay Between Connecting Flights"
We reserved a room at this hotel because we were arriving at Haneda at around 6 pm and needed to kill time until a 2 am flight the next day. We spent most of the time visiting the onsen and eating dinner and checked out around 11 pm to catch our flight. It's certainly a novel experience going to an onsen at a hotel airport. The onsen is quite a facility with not just baths but a restaurant as well as massage facilities, etc. The onsen can be quite crowded and there appears to be a good mix of foreigners and Japanese people. Quite unique as compared to other onsens, there are patrons with tattoos! That was weird. There are about 4 different baths indoors and two large baths outdoors. One of the outdoor ones was very hot (43 degrees?) which meant many people avoided it, and I was able to enjoy it in relative peace and quiet. You'll notice people had various levels of familiarity in terms of adhering to rules of using an onsen, I was glad most appeared to have washed themselves at the shower facilities before entering the baths. I especially enjoyed the soda water bath. The room itself was not great. I booked the "run of the house" rate, which meant I ended up getting the smallest room. The width of the room was just a few inches more than the length of the double bed. Nevertheless, it was nice to just stay in the room rather than having to kill several hours walking around the airport. Haneda is a great airport and it would not be difficult to spend several hours shopping and walking around. While I did appreciate using the room, if I were in the same situation again, I think I would opt to just pay the entry fee for the onsen (I think it was around JPY 5,000) rather than booking a room.
"Perfect transit option at T3 Haneda Airport"
This is a perfect transit property at T3 Haneda Airport. Location is right opposite Terminal 3. It is a 5-7min walk through a covered walkway. The check in is smooth and fast. The room is clean, hygienic. Though a bit small in size. Should be used only as a transit hotel and not for any other purpose. We landed at T2 at 9pm a night, moved to T3 using a free shuttle and were in the hotel room within 45min. The room includes all amenities that you would need for an overnight stay.
"Horrible WiFi signal otherwise a great airport hotel"
On an overnight stay while waiting for a colleague arriving from Europe. The hotel is connected to Haneda International Terminal 3 and is just minutes walking distance away. Housed within the airport mall, the hotel comes complete with all the facilities needed for an overnight stay which would have been the case for most travelers. For those who want to wash your laundry before going back, the hotel comes with more than 10 self service washing machines . However these washing machines are not the ones I like as it comes with a pin set up which means if anyone who did not pick up the laundry after washing and drying , it will be left there! Check in is self service as well and you will be allocated to rooms which are connected to different lift lobby, typical Japanese room with good enough space by Japanese standards. There is also a paid Onsen connected to the hotel in which hotel guest pays 2000 yen for one day usage. Also connected to the hotel is a small shopping area equipped with restaurants of all choices and gift shops for your last minute shopping or introductory shopping depending on which leg of your tour you are at. Breakfast is on 1st floor in a dining hall concept which is crowded at 7:30 am onwards . Choices are good for a decent breakfast at 2880 yen . If there is one aspect I do not like about the hotel, it would have been the very bad WiFi connection during my stay which makes online meeting almost impossible as the signal kept dropping off. Otherwise this would have been one of the better airport hotel in Japan.
