"Great stay"
Destination823042, 28 Mars 2024

Been here 3 times now and have not been disappointed. Staff are really lovely and the hotel is in a great location for all sorts of amenities. The hotel is very modern. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and pillows

"Large family break"
Inspire11462923871, 16 Mars 2024

Had a fabulous overnight break at the hotel in February. We were a large family who had several rooms booked by Mum as a Christmas present as my dad is poorly. We had arranged to meet in the Grand for a drink after our check in. Here we were greeted by Micheal Howard. What can I say ,he was absolutely wonderful, made us all feel very welcome and went above and beyond in every aspect. We had dinner booked in there that evening and he looked after our party with a smile throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was a credit to the hotel ! He made what was quite an emotional night for us as a family very special. Rooms were tastefully decorated and of a good standard and spotlessly clean ! We had breakfast in the Bold the next morning, that was pleasant too Thanks Micheal for making it a lovely overnight break.

"Fabulous weekend break."
BEAT6851, 13 Mars 2024

We were at the hotel for 2 nights (weekend) and it was brilliant. The staff go above and beyond to assist wherever needed, not just hotel staff but security staff too we needed help with a wheelchair and the security staff were just so helpful and friendly,I can,t praise them highly enough. The room was perfect very spacious and modern. We were Bed and breakfast everything you could ask for for at breakfast, full english ,cereal, porridge, fruits, yoghurt, juices ,hot drinks.Of course little things go wrong but staff were on hand 24/7 to help. There is no need to leave the hotel if you don,t want to they have a lovely lounge bar,a champagne/cocktail bar with live music and an Irish bar also with live entertainment at weekend .

"Great location near shops and bars"
Mr_Spock56, 13 Mars 2024

Our room was at the front of the hotel and thus overlooked the main street but despite this was reasonably quiet except during late evenings. We had upgraded our room so cannot comment on the quality of the other rooms in the hotel but ours was well decorated and had a walk in shower and large TV. Even the corridors looked and smelt good and we got the impression that the hotel was well cared for. Breakfast was served in the “Bold hotel” opposite which is a bit of a pain has you have to be dressed for going outdoors and in bad weather this might be an issue. Breakfast was plentiful if full English is you preference, however the other options like cereals and pastries were very limited. The staff serving breakfast were all really friendly and helpful however the staff at reception were not very helpful with regards the parking charges. I had to ask twice about how to pay reduced parking before being handed a leaflet telling me how to do it. In fact if I had not already checked out the hotel reviews (about parking) I would not have known about the reduced charges. I saw this also happen to someone else who was checking. In fact I stepped in to tell this customer about the parking charges as the receptionist didn't bother (so it's not an isolated incident). The car park is accessed via an alleyway to the left of the hotel next to The Grand Eatery and charges £30 without the discount so make sure you get a leaflet from reception. Of course you have to pay via your phone. We would stay at this hotel again if in the area and would have given it 5 stars but for the parking issue.

"Thank you to the Security Staff"
B2256OSkarlj, 29 Février 2024

A Big Thank you to Marc and all the security staff who looked after my friend, whom became unwell, whilst watching the Liverpool game. Marc and the security team went that extra mile to provide the necessary help and support that was needed. Once again Thank you to all the staff

"Sleep deprived"
Shauna F, 25 Février 2024

So on arrival was extremely impressed. Hotel was nice on the eye, friendly receptionist and found out we had been upgraded to a superior king we was made up. Room was super spacious, nice big TV the shower was a major let down, bathroom was nice but the pressure on the shower was awful!! The room itself was gorgeous had everything you needed but wow was we devastated we had been upgraded to the room directly above Punch Tarmys. The live bands drum and bass bounced up until 10 o'clock on the Friday but then was followed by loud drunken people right outside the front door which was directly under our window, then Saturday night we ended up tossing and turning in bed till well after midnight the music just wasn't ending and the hustle and bustle outside was beyond a joke! We had hoped to have a refreshing weekend getting plenty sleep and feeling great to return to work the Monday, instead we ended up being absolutely exhausted come the Sunday and couldn't wait to get home to catch up on some missed sleep! I just think it needs to be very clearly stated when booking with yourselves that it's above a Irish bar that has live bands every weekend so unless your attending the party then don't stay with us as you will be kept awake!

Great hotel in a lovely location, central to everything, shops bars restaurants. I must praise this hotel's staff though especially their front of house girls. Welcoming cheerful helpful and so friendly. Lovely room with a lovely comfortable bed. Can't wait to come back here.

"Excellent hotel "

"Lovely hotel in a lovely place"
SteveS917, 17 Février 2024

Lovely hotel in Southport. We had a lovely stay. Nice and clean and fresh. Great amenities lovely staff. No complaints really. The room was a good size with all the usual amenities you would expect. Central to town within walking distance of everything you need.

"Beautiful bedroom with everything we needed"
OuterHebridesFan, 15 Février 2024

We stayed on Valentines night. We booked a Superior room and were not disappointed. The room was up 2 flights of stairs which was not a problem for us but may be an issue for some. The bedroom and bathroom were exceptionally clean and well presented. Room was well appointed. Only thing is I would want the hotel (we booked direct) to advise guests in advance that the car park behind the hotel can cost only £8 rather than the £30 we paid. Overall a lovely hotel.

"Amazing staff top hotel"
583raymonda, 07 Février 2024

Well my wife and I have stayed again at this wonderful hotel the staff are so professional and polite from the second we walked into reception we were looked after we arrived bit early but room was ready so we were given key card and shown to our room after quick fresh up we went back down had lovley meal and wine very reasonable and it was delicious and plenty full are room was amazing so comfortable everything you needed the bed was amazing pillows so comfortable huge tv and complimentary tea and coffee was lots in fact there extra stock in draw not like average rooms maybe 3 sachets there was plenty and milk bonus highly recommended this hotel we will be returning again it's truly a credit to stay there an excellent example of hospitality at its best thank you for the stay oh yeah the breakfast full English is as it says everything very nice the whole venue is fantastic if you need hotel in Southport then you found it you will not be disappointed we had deluxe room check out the pics

"Excellent place to stay!"
Sarah R, 30 Janvier 2024

From start to finish, a wonderful stay! This is the second time we've stayed here. The location is really good and very central. The rooms are beautiful and clean with every facility we needed including hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Beds are very comfortable. Staff were exceptionally welcoming.

"A great place to stay"
Adam F, 29 Janvier 2024

Great place to stay the rooms are immaculate with top quality beds and bedding. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had a great night sleep. The breakfast buffet was great with top-quality food on offer. I'd recommend this hotel to everybody.

"WONDERFUL"
335kayeg, 22 Janvier 2024

WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY.THE STAFF ARE SO HELPFUL IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE BUISNESS.WE HAD BREAKFAST IN THE GRAND AS THE BOLD WAS CLOSED I THINK THIS IS A MUCH BETTER OPTION THAN TRAILING ACROSS THE ROAD IN THE RAIN AS IT WAS ON THE SUNDAY.

"WOW - FAB"
Sally O, 22 Janvier 2024

A birthday well spent. My husband organised an amazing getaway in Southport for my birthday and was wow'ed on arrival. We had VIP service from entrance to departure. The staff were very welcoming and attentive to our needs throughout. The food was tasty as we enjoyed an afternoon tea and varied breakfast. The room was clean and well equipped as well - iron, hangers, everything. Thanks to all the team for making us feel special.

"Absolutely Stunning!"
Resort67336872831, 18 Septembre 2023

I came over to visit my family and to attend a Charity fundraiser next door. Absolutely fabulous. Stayed for two nights and the rooms are very tasteful but most importantly very clean. Trinity the Manageress really couldn't do enough for myself and my family. Whenever I come over again to visit England, this will certainly be my returning destination.

"Great Hotel"
171Joanna, 14 Septembre 2023

Had a great stay at lord Street Hotel. Room was lovely , big comfortable bed. Stayed on the side of the hotel, very peaceful . Was husbands birthday , and was greeted in the room with a tile with a cake on and strawberries , and happy birthday written in chocolate sauce. Had to go to the sister hotel across the road for breakfast, this was one of the best breakfast I have had. Will stay again when in the area.

"Beautiful Hotel. GF breakfast and beer. Code needed for cheaper parking"
DrChrisW, 09 Septembre 2023

The hotel is lovely. It's been finished to a high standard and it's well located. The staff were extremely helpful and very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet, especially for a town centre. You need to get a code from reception for the preferential parking costs and the breakfast is across the road at The Bold. They did a beautiful gluten free breakfast, cooked to order. The bar also has gluten free beer. Would happily stay here again.

"Perfect place to watch Footy!"
Liam D, 06 Septembre 2023

I live locally in Southport and Lord Street has become one of my locals! The sport's bar is the perfect place to watch the footy. Brings a great atmosphere! Pints are reasonably priced and they've just introduce match day deals. We ordered the Monday deal on our most recent visit, great value for money and delicious! Special mention of thanks to Trinity. Always cheerful and attentive, nothing is ever too much trouble. She even (sometimes) serves us at our table instead of us going to the bar which is great! Highly reccomend!

"Never again! "
Passport19603553698, 03 Septembre 2023

Lovely rooms and decor, clean and tidy, but the base of the music through our pillows kept us awake, so don't know how this is sound proofed! Even with windows shut we could hear people talking out side until early hours. Electrics kept going on and off, so had to keep getting up in the night to turn air conditioning back on. Had to ask for hairdryer, which over heated after a minute of use. I think it should be kept as a bar/club and not a hotel. Main reason for booking this hotel was for the air conditioning and that was poor. Will not be staying agin.

"Happy customers"
LynjohnWigan, 02 Septembre 2023

From start to finish our stay at the hotel was an excellent experience. We stayed for a family wedding, from being greeted by Elle, the receptionist who was very friendly, efficient and a great first point of contact, to the rest of the staff who were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room we stayed in was a good size, comfortable and well appointed. Two very happy guests, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

"Lovely place, Claudia rocks! "
Emma J, 23 Août 2023

Greeted by Claudia who was the most helpful individual for a smooth check in, it was our little boys birthday, Claudia made a fuss which was lovely. Quick and smooth check in. Stayed in the King suite, lovely room with a view over Southport / Lord Street. Large TV, clean and tidy. Breakfast served over at The Bold was amazing, fast service, lovely staff, great breakfast. Actually had our evening meal here the second night, really very nice food. Lovely stay.

"Perfection"
Munch198, 21 Août 2023

Stayed here last week and had an amazing time. The hotel is exquisite, very clean and beautifully decorated. Our room was very welcoming and had such a lovely cosy feel to it. The team, especially Trinity, Claudia and Jade, were always smiling and happy to help with any question I had, fantastic service from all. Everything you need is on site with shops and the seafront a short walk away. Will definitely return

"Fantastic Stay. Definitely recommend."
Sandra L, 21 Août 2023

Have stayed here several times. Hotel's location is central to all that Southport has to offer. This time as always, hotel is beautifully presented, clean with excellent facilities and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had an evening meal in The Grand Brasserie which was amazing! Lovely menu and fantastic service. Would highly recommend and we will return.

"Noisy Hotel"
valerier827, 20 Août 2023

The hotel was clean and well situated in a good position on Lord Street. Unfortunately our room was at the front and we're kept wake by noisy drinkers outside until after 2.15am. My son was in a room at the side of the hotel and wasn't much better there either. Our room also was adjacent to the first floor drinking terrace and you could see the full length of the terrace from the bed. I would definitely make sure you weren't staying in this room.

"Identity crisis"
mike o, 20 Août 2023

This hotel needs to decide whether it's a hotel or a bar .The signage during the day is bad as bar signs visible but not the hotel and we were not the only guests struggling to find it The reception is small and located with the bar so we were fortunate the Barman wasn't serving seven cocktails when we arrived as could have been a long wait It was a surprise to find we had to pay extra for car park as was average breakfast across the road in a pub Not a luxury experience but room comfy and staff friendly

"Lovely hotel and very hospitable staff"
Debbie M, 16 Août 2023

Excellent stay I stayed overnight with my granddaughters age 9 and 3 the room was lovely and comfortable. 1 double bed and a single and they were extremely comfortable. Staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. We had breakfast at the sister hotel facing which was also very nice. Well worth a stay. Very central and a stones throw away from the promenade.

"Great time"
Trevor C, 06 Août 2023

Hotel was excellent clean and comfortable staff were friendly and so helpful nice big room nothing was to much trouble food across road at sister hotel the bold was excellent and staff so helpful and considerent Cilla went out of her way to make everything special recommend to anyone thanks again

"Excellence"
LG1_12, 05 Août 2023

Wonderful welcome from Reception Good location in the heart of southport Located with adjacent bars and the Grand Restaurant and over the road from sister Hotel the Bold The rooms are very good and have the bonus of fridges and iron and board ,the rooms are spotlessly clean Some rooms located with better views than others and if high season would recommend side of hotel as would be quieter as front facing rooms located directly over the terraces so would think could be quite noisy but lovely views Takes a bit of getting used to the layout in corridors leading to rooms and quite a few stairs Although is a lift up to 1st floor The atmosphere was great and we went as a family but would definitely recommend for couples as you have the choice of the bars and apart from main lounge bar would be child free after certain time Bar Tarmy was great had a really good atmosphere The Bold has a lovely outside seating area which has the advantage of cover if needed and no problem going across in the morning for breakfast We went half board and would definitely pick this option again as the Bold and the Grand are 2 of the best places to eat in Southport Lots of theme nights as well so a complete weekend experience . Will recommend the Hotel and it's Sister Hotel to everyone family couples or singles very comfortable welcoming and everything you need and even a pass to use Victoria baths and Gym a stones throw away Check in and Check out prompt and the reception staff could not be more helpful the whole team were so cheerful and made you feel very welcome Value for money couldn't be beaten and cannot wait to visit again.

"Quiet, super clean, comfortable, friendly and luxurious feel but without the premium price tag!"
Jody H, 29 Juillet 2023

I've now stayed at this hotel twice and will definitely be staying again for work. The room was clean, well maintained with soft clean towels and and an excellent powerful shower. Claudia on reception is personable, funny and friendly and made the stay memorable. She remembered us when we walked through the door and greeted us with a big smile. Would definitely recommend! Thank you.

"Beautiful hotel - excellent service and a convenient car park at the back"
terrymelia, 17 Juillet 2023

Really enjoyed a short stay in this excellent hotel. Receptionist Claudia was cheerfully very helpful. The room - 108 was luxurious with a great view of the Lord St. Breakfast across the road in The Proud hotel was delicious. Highly recommended

"Fantastic Stay"
Tilly C, 14 Juillet 2023

My friends and I stayed for the night in Southport in this Hotel. What can I say, one of the best Hotel stays we've ever had! The rooms were fantastic, the hotel bar was great and we even had a couple of drinks in the Irish bar they have next door. The barman in there was so attentive and couldn't do enough for us i think his name was Aiden - he was great and a credit to your company. We will definitely be returning in the future!

"Perfect hotel in the centre of Southport"
Catey101, 13 Juillet 2023

We made the reservation through Booking.com for 2 rooms, one for my husband and I, the other for my Mum. Her room was completely accessible and worked very well for her being able to use her mobility scooter from reception to going up in the lift and being able to “drive” all the way to her room. Hotel itself is very clean and once you get upstairs to the bedrooms and away from the sports bar downstairs, they're extremely quiet and very relaxing. The hotel made a perfect place to stay as it's centrally situated on Lord Street with very easy access to all the bars and restaurants in the area. Breakfast is served across the road at the sister hotel, the Bold Hotel, which was okay, but nothing to write home about. The Grand Brasserie, in the other hand, (same owners as the Lord Street Hotel) was a lovely place to visit and have a quiet drink. You could also have food there, but we didn't partake.

"Short stay"
Q3194IGCAT, 13 Juillet 2023

What a great find, we'd been come to Southport to visit friends as we moved away from our home town last year and decided to stay here. The staff can't do enough for you. From management to the housekeeping ladies. The rooms are stylish and extremely clean. Loved the touch screen showers. We decided to try the new Restaurant next door to the hotel which is also part of this company and we're blown away by the attention to detail in the decor, it's truly a magnificent place with very attentive staff. Don't pass this place by.

"Luxury signature hotel it is not - rather disappointed"
lauramp692016, 10 Juillet 2023

Very average hotel and a lot on the pricey side. Personally this is a long way away from luxury so if you are expecting that then you will be disappointed. Approaching from the outside with its neon signage felt like we were entering a Sports Bar on Blackpool promenade and must admit my heart sank. The reception is also a bit tacky, so think BW you need to consider what luxury really means. That said the room was 'ok'. A bit on the small side and not sure a bit of crushed velvet makes it luxury but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. Outlook was really not nice and when sitting on the vanity stool to do hair, I was about 3ft short from being able to see myself in the mirror. Lighting also poor here and whilst the bathroom is better you get a small shaving mirror, so again not sure you can call this a signature hotel?? How does a girl get ready for a night out? Would I stay again, probably not unless there were no better options. That said one cant go wrong with a Premier Inn, which you at least know what to expect when you arrive. Staff we met were very friendly so can't complain on that front and check in and out was simple.

"Lovely"
ShazaLiverpool, 10 Février 2023

Amazing place to stay staff were lovely and friendly especially Claudia will definitely be back room was lovely and clean lovely atmosphere very quiet the only thing is make sure you bring water or ask for it when you check in

"GOOD TIMES"
Irene C, 08 Février 2023

Stayed overnight with friends. All our Rooms were comfortable and well maintained . Coffee facilities included. Good shower facilities. No food at the hotel but fabulous breakfast served at the sister hotel The Bold. The staff were very amicable and pleased to help at all times.

"Great service and fantastic food and drinks . Well worth a visit in Southport ."
Stay56374333236, 08 Février 2023

Great service from lovely staff and nothing too much trouble Superb location and everything you need for a stay in Southport Highly recommended and at the top of Lord Street , which is the best location in the town centre The Grand and The Bold also worth a visit and right on the doorstep

"Poor"
thalliday07, 02 Février 2023

No staff about on arrival place deserted had to go looking for receptionist booked in room given not made up from previous occupant. No food available not a standard I'd expect emailed complaint no response no toiletries shower cold

"Weekend Marvel"
Getaway32263696158, 08 Janvier 2023

This hotel is situated right in the heart of Southport. Within walking distance from some great bars and has a fabulous restaurant. Staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room overlooked Lord Street which was fabulous seeing the hustle and bustle late into the evening. Great place

"New Year's Eve stay "
laureneL529YH, 07 Janvier 2023

Lovely stay at Lord street hotel. Went to the bold hotel for New Year's Eve for there event. Food was amazing there and entertainment. Regularly go the bold hotel for drinks and also there entertainment. Then to finish off the night had a lovely stay at the Lord street hotel

"Terrible"
Samdis1, 17 Décembre 2022

It is a Saturday night at 10.00pm and if you want to go to your not cheap hotel room for a quiet end to your afternoon/early evening in Southport do not stay here. You will be surrounded by noise pollution, intense drum n base . Very unpleasant. Wish I could go home but not possible. So we don't recommend if you want some peace and quiet. This should be stated on the website because it's dreadful

"One night stay in Southport"
rond104, 21 Novembre 2022

The Lord Street Hotel. Best hotel in Southport, latest decor, great service, good food and drinks. The coffee in the piano lounge was fantastic, the best staff in any hotel I have visited. Punch Tarmey's Irish Bar well worth a visit.

"Not has enjoyable as previous visits"
MightyRed7, 13 Novembre 2022

The view from our room was poor and I think the room in general could of been cleaner we have enjoyed much nicer visits to this hotel in the past and we would have to do a wider search for accommodation in the future to replicate our previous experience of staying in Southport

"Overall a nice stay with a little room for approval"
H1992TXdeborahm, 04 Novembre 2022

We had a nice stay , it's in a very good location right on lord street close to amenities but found it a little on the pricy side but was a birthday treat . So it wasn't to bad don't think we would pay that much normally as there are other more reasonable priced places near by .

"Happy"
helenw268, 17 Octobre 2022

Comfortable bed, clean, coffee/tea making stuff. Hot towel rail, windows that open. Good dark curtains, for a dark bedroom. All things I want in a hotel. Breakfast was good, he had the full fry and was happy, I had the eggs benedict, also happy. Coffee was ish, but that's standard. Car parking was a good price. Good location for wandering around Southport. All good.

"Brett"
G4506BIbrettm, 17 Octobre 2022

Myself and wife had a lovely stay there the room we stayed in over looked Lord street the room it self was beautiful and a good size will definitely be back. Big thank you to the young lady who checked us in Trinity very smart professional and went out of her way to help us THANK YOU

"A Very Pleasant Hotel in a Great Location"
OtistheBlackCat, 15 Octobre 2022

We stayed in this very pleasant hotel for one night while visiting Southport and we were very pleased with our choice. It's in an excellent location on Lord Street, so very convenient for all the restaurants, shops and bars. Although our room was quite small, it was very well decorated, spotlessly clean (as was the shower room) and had a supremely comfy bed. We also had a good shower and fast, free WiFi. Car parking at the rear of the hotel is available for £8.20 for24 hours, BUT get a discount code from the hotel's reception first (then payable via the car park owner's website), so not bad. We'd certainly stay at this hotel again when next visiting Southport. Recommended.

"Have a lovely stay staff amazing especially Craig and Claudia breakfast was delicious them sausages yum"
Joan D, 12 Octobre 2022

Room was beautiful and spotless bed so comfy bathroom was disabled so ideal for my mum cannot only fault i had out of every thing was kettle it had quite alot of lime scale in it but everything else perfect

"Great hotel"
Patricia R, 08 Octobre 2022

Lovely clean room with very helpful staff who went the extra mile to assist me as a wheelchair user. I particularly liked the wet room/bathroom which made life so much easier for me. The only downfall was the height of the bed which I needed a step to get into and the double doors needed a card entry that also needed a longer delay before they locked again which meant I couldn't get through them, I had to ask another guest to assist.

"Weekend visit "
794mollyd, 07 Octobre 2022

Visited over the weekend service was perfect couldn't fault the customer service delivered throughout our time here would highly recommend staff professional, inquisitive and polite during our time at the bold we will definitely be returning soon

"6th August Evening Meal Terrible Experience at the Bold"
rose18_13, 03 Octobre 2022

I am still waiting for a reply 2 months on from Howard but now I have been told Trinity is dealing with it. regarding the evening meal on Saturday 6th August uneatable terrible across the road at the Bold the resturant manager was very unprofessional talking down to my friiend who has 30yrs experience of being a head cook didn't know what she was talking about. I have sent numerous emails phone calls since that day but nobody will come back to me and explain or offer me a refund for the meal. It was Bed,Breakfast Evening Meal deal yes we had a refund for the breakfast because we refused to go back for breakfast at the Bold next morning but nothing for the evening meal we was a party of 4. It was an expensive 1 night stay for in the end was a room only. A Best Western Signature Hotel I would have thought they would look after there customers better special in hard times which the country is in at the moment. There is no customer relations they just take your money and not interested in any problems. If you go to this hotel and you have a problem don't expect they will fix the problem for you. A very bad experience which should have been a fun weekend celbrating my husbands 65th Birthday. The resaon I have wrote this on trip advisor is because I think waiting for a reply 2 months on is a disgrace and I wouldn't like it to happen to anybody else and spoil there weekend fun.

"Basically it's a sports-bar/night club"
Tr1padvi50r, 19 Septembre 2022

Very disappointing , was taken in by it being Best Western Signature a hotel. Surprised there was no dedicated checkin receptionist. The check in area was shared with the sports-bar staff with a separate window. So we had to wait to check in. When we called ‘reception' do one answered. Check out was at 11 am, but there was no one on the bar to check out so at 10;45 we had to wait 15 minutes to check out at. The room was very clean but also very small, and there was no hot water at the bathroom sink tap although the weel electric shower provided not water. The walls are very thin so we heard loud conversation and footsteps along the corridor and the night club music was clearly audible in our room in the late evening. There was no food served, the arrangement being to go across the road to their sister hotel for breakfast. This was a bit surprising for a ‘signature hotel'. The breakfast was actually quite cheap for a big hotel but also poor quality. The car park was convenient right behind the hotel and reasonably priced. We would never go back, many better alternatives and the worst Best Western we've experienced.

"Great stay, amazing service"
Froscousedo, 18 Septembre 2022

Stayed here weekend of 10th/11th with a group of friends. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean and of a very high standard. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful and the service in general was of the highest quality. The hotel itself is vert well presented and we all made to feel really welcome. The breakfast was lovely. Would, and have recommended to friends and family.

"Fabulous Hotel"
HMCunningham, 18 Septembre 2022

Had the pleasure of staying in The Lord Street Hotel for a 50th Birthday celebration, the hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy a stroll around Southport and visit some of the local bars. The Hotel has a fabulous balcony where we could sit out and enjoy the warm evening and had a lovely buffet in a private function area. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. After a really enjoyable evening we had the pleasure of staying in a comfortable bed in a lovely room. The weekend finished perfectly with fabulous cooked breakfast. Highly recommend The Lord Street Hotel to anyone visiting Southport.

"Birthday weekend"
Lee N, 18 Septembre 2022

Stayed for birthday celebrations. Rooms and venue excellent. Catering for birthday also outstanding. Staff all very helpful and accommodating during our stay Thoroughly recommended. Thanks to all at the Lord Street Hotel for a pleasant stay.

"Excellent venue"

Stayed at the hotel for 50th birthday get together in the upstairs bar. The bedroom was outstanding as was the function room. Lovely buffet for our get together and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. And after a lovely evening, a great breakfast before we all set off home. Couldn't have asked for more, thanks!

"Excellent Booking Service by Wendy"
Moody65, 02 Septembre 2022

I have just booked two rooms for an overnight ‘night before' stay for our Daughter's Wedding for her the Bride, her bridesmaid, children and my husband and I and received an excellent standard of customer service from Wendy on the direct hotel phone number. She was so helpful and professional - immediately said she could match or better prices elsewhere, arranged a late checkout for the bridal party, provided options to have a pre ceremony drink in the cocktail bar and terrace, explained the discounted parking scheme and said that staff could arrange breakfast in the room for the bridal party if required. She exceeded my expectations and we can't wait to stay there and would definately recommend and book again. Thank you Wendy.

"Family break"
crazyhorse6, 17 Août 2022

Myself my Daughter & my Grandaughter stayed 4th to 6th August. The hotel is amazing from the moment you enter. Andrew on reception was the best - he went above & beyond to help & is a true asset to the hotel. We stayed in a triple room it was pure luxury - amazing beds - amazing shower & amazing air con. We felt very safe as the double doors you need to go through to enter where the bedrooms are can only be opened with your key card. The whole hotel is fabulous pure luxury. So if you want a gorgeous hotel in the heart of Lord Street - this is the place for you - really can't recommend it enough - it's simply the best & we will be back for sure - everything about our stay was 100% class from start to finish.

"Very very nice but ... noisy"
nataliepL8112HB, 07 Août 2022

Staff excellent so friendly and helpful the Lad on checkout this morning was lovely especially dealing with lots going on. The girl serving drinks was so hardworking and bent over backwards to make our stay good. Our room looked amazing with lovely extras for our special occasion. Only downside was our room was on level with the upstairs outdoor bar with not much privacy but seeing as we were going out anyway that didn't effect us much. The hotel was so clean and had good parking behind for £8 with hotel discount. The hotel is excellent to nip in and out of bars restaurants yet very noisy at night. Also with being on main road didn't sleep till 3am with sirens speeding cars and shouting. A bit dissatisfied with breakfast at sister hotel. During our last stay the breakfast was made to order to table but this time was buffet. Toast burnt and the chef serving was rushing and missed a few breakfast items off. At the same time very clean just a bit overcrowded was sat right in the centre of loads of families a quiet window area would've been much nicer. I'd absolutely return for drinks at the lord st Hotel and food at the bold but probably wouldn't stay the night due to noise. I think if we were in a back room maybe but minus the view it may have been quieter.

"Highly Recommend staying at the Lord Street Hotel"
Livveyy, 01 Août 2022

Excellent location and parking facilities (just behind the hotel) Charged at £8 per day (discounted by £22 with a code offered by the Hotel). Very close to lots of bars and restaurants and a nice walk to the pier. The hotel has been refurbished to an excellent standard, is extremely clean with great attention to detail with fixtures and fittings all to a very high standard. The rooms are compact and have everything you need, touch screen shower and mirror, air conditioning/heating which worked really well, coffee making facilities, fridge & TV and beautiful bedding. The best couple of nights sleep we've had in a long time, a very comfy bed. Although on the main road the room was extremely quiet and peaceful. Loved the Grand next door, fabulous drinks and décor with a buzzing atmosphere and the balcony bar was a lovely place for a drink overlooking Lord Street. We didn't get chance to eat at the hotel but we will when we visit next time. Howard who greeted us on reception was so friendly, professional and informative and made us feel very welcome. All the staff were friendly. Our 1st visit to Southport and if returning, we would definitely stay at the hotel again.

"Highly recommend Lord Street Hotel"
Eat-out9, 29 Juillet 2022

Stayed for two nights room only with another couple we all agreed absolutely nothing negative to say. Friendly welcome when checking in. Good central location on Lord Street. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, air con and beautifully decorated. Great shower with very nice shower gel, shampoo and fluffy towels. There's a plush bar area and first floor terrace to enjoy a glass or two. We enjoyed a lovely lunch across the road outside the sister hotel The Bold. We will definitely be staying at The Lord Street again.

"Monday Night Break"
Linsey S, 26 Juillet 2022

First of all car parking is to rear of hotel at a reasonable £8:00 for 24h (inc £22 discount). Receptionist (who's name escapes me) was very lovely & helpful. Allocated to Room 107 on 1st Floor which was spotless with en suite equipped with soaps, shampoos etc. Bed very comfortable and easy to work air con. Decor also very nice too. If there was one small minor issue (which is subjective anyway) it was the pillows which were not to my liking but that's me being picky. Would I stay again ? Of course it's a lovely hotel in a great / central location.

"Fantastic Break!"

My husband and I had such a great stay at this hotel . The staff were so fun and friendly especially Claudia I felt she really went above and beyond … A1 service ! Our room was outstanding and spotless we could not fault it. We had such a fun time in the bars on site . We cannot wait to return !

"Best place to stay in Southport"
Keepudd, 18 Juillet 2022

We have stayed in lots of hotels in Southport and if you want a little bit extra then this is the place. All staff are wonderful! Howard was a little star!! when there was an issue with the lift. Rooms are very tastefully done and we really wanted for nothing. Breakfast was great at the sister hotel right across the street. No complaints from us and we will defo be staying again x

Extremely friendly especially Trinity. I booked the hotel for my grandparents (nan hard to please) the first room nan felt claustrophobic, went down to reception where Trinity went above and beyond for them changing there room and making them feel so welcome. Always had a smile on her face and nothing to much trouble.

"great place to stay"
philpI1580MU, 31 Mai 2022

Good rooms huge tv the staff are excellent and I would have stayed the whole weekend if they could have accommodated me but they were full. However the staff contacted their sister hotel and got me sorted their instead. I can not express how impressed I am with this groups Hotels and staff. This would be my first choice hotel.

"Great stay"
Global55630979448, 14 Mai 2022

Lovely stay here. Great location with discounted car parking very close. Get code from hotel before you pay. The place is lovely, tastefully designed. Very comfy beds and great shower with plenty of products. And absolutely spotlessly clean. Shout out to the housekeeping! You are doing a great job! All the staff we met were lovely.

"Nice, Relaxing mini-break"
barker_man, 19 Avril 2022

This was our first time here, having previously stayed at The Bliss Hotel. The hotel is very modern, clean, and the rooms are well fitted out. The hotel quite handily joins on to a pub, and there is also a sports bar that is popular and was pretty packed when we were there. The staff cant do enough for you - Claudia in particular was so nice - pleasant, helpful, friendly - even during our short stay there, she made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, I am already looking at when to go back to this hotel, as the ones I previously stayed at are somewhat run-down.

"Lovely hotel."
morganmac10, 15 Avril 2022

We came to this hotel for a mini break. The staff are all lovely and can't do enough for you. The food and drink is also lovely. The room was spotless and spacious, lovely and modern. We will be definitely be coming again soon!

"Loved our stay"

Myself and my partner stayed here on a Sunday evening after visiting Portland Hall Spa. Room fabulous and very clean. All the staff so lovely and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Southport.

"Please don't make me leave the bed!"
MrsHeys1979, 07 Avril 2022

I was a little alarmed when I saw that work had booked me into a hotel with a sports bar underneath, especially as there was football on that night and there was a good crowd arriving to watch it. My fears were unfounded though - I didn't hear a thing (even with a room facing the main road) I was greeted by the lovely Howard on arrival who was really helpful & made check in quick and simple. I was also really lucky to be given a complimentary upgrade to a suite (staying on a random Wednesday night has its perks!). The room was lovely - huge bed that was so comfy I was gutted to get out of it in the morning. The usual amenities - tea/coffee, hairdryer, iron & ironing board & a fridge. There is lots of sockets too, with ones next to the bed for charging your phone. Breakfast is served across the road at their sister hotel, The Bold. The young lad taking the orders - Lynton - was very friendly and welcoming. Attentive but not overbearing. Will visit again.

"Nice hotel"
HeatherLaurenx, 06 Avril 2022

We stayed the night before at the sister hotel so thought we would try here out too. The hotel was lovely and staff were helpful - Howard went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The bar area is a classy sports bar with a nice atmosphere. The pina colada I had was beautiful. The only downside to the bar area was that the toilet drains smelt really bad - reminded me of Spanish drains. The room was nice and clean - the view looked onto a construction site / derelict building which was disappointing but we had a great nights sleep. The tv in the room had options to sign into Netflix which is a nice touch - the last person before us had left their Netflix logged in so we could watch without logging in (thanks James). The car park was round the back of the hotel and cost £33 for 24hrs but if you check in first, the hotel gives you a code which reduces the parking down to around £6 for 24hours. Overall, I would return and stay here again.

"Pricey!"
MikePlumber1970, 30 Mars 2022

Went to the sports bar to watch the football. Nothing special just standard big screen and stools etc. Drinks however were very expensive for nothing special. Guinness and morretti was £10 and for the area it's simply too high. Value for money not great

"Fantastic hotel with lovely staff!"
gf255, 30 Mars 2022

My sister and I just stayed in room 121 for a night away from our kids and some r&r! The room was spacious, clean, modern and perfectly put together. The decor of the whole hotel was tasteful and luxurious. The staff were brilliant. Attentive and helpful, namely Claudia on the reception and Kelsie the hotel manager - what a credit to this hotel! The TV in the lounge area in our room was MASSIVE, much bigger than many other hotels I have stayed in & it moved right round so you can choose to watch tv on the sofa or on the bed. The hotel is right in the town centre, with many bars and restaurants just a stones throw away. Noise was not an issue, just close the windows and it is completely blocked out. The bed was so comfy & huge! Thank you for a lovely stay - we will definitely be back!

"Great Weekend"
fisher112, 15 Mars 2022

Claudia (Thank you) she looked after us all weekend, great room great service and the bar was a great start to the evenings out. Room very large and modern, large TV and well worth the 5 stars brothers room the same thank you.

"Awful customer service"
AndyD45, 13 Mars 2022

Went into the bar for a drink. Bar staff (skinny bloke about 50 years old) absolutely awful. Left me waiting for a while, even though I was the only one stood at the bar. He then proceeded to get my order wrong, when I only ordered 2 drinks.....it's not rocket science or a tricky task. No apology! Dreadful customer service. Not only that, it's expensive and there is some sort of ridiculous banging noise (from the direction of the toilets) reverberating throughout there constantly.

"Nice, but not perfect "
denisee7, 13 Mars 2022

Very modern hotel right in a central location on Lord Street, facing its sister hotel (Bold) Check in was easy, was given room 120, delux, very plush and spacious. The room overlooks the main Rd, but it is directly above the champagne bar, so we had to close the window to drown out the noise. Bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. It had kettle, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Large mirror next to plug socket which was good as I hate when there isn't a decent mirror to do maje up and hair. Only a few minor let downs, mainly shower was rubbish, very little power and we could not get the right temperature, either freezing or scalding. No bottled water in room nor biscuits, most hotels that charge £139 per night in delux normally provife these little extras. We chose not to have breakfast, breakfast is at sister hotel and we had a meal at hotel the day of arrival and although the food was good, they lost the ticket so we waited 35 minutes for our food. There are plenty of places near by for those who prefer to have breakfast at a later time.

What an amazing place to watch sports! I would definitely say this is the best place in southport to watch any sport games! We were sat in the upstairs bar and I would like to say a huge well done and thank you to Molly who was behind the bar, she was polite, hard working and always had a smile on her face. It was lovely to see! The atmosphere of the place is brilliant, would definitely be coming back. Thank you to all the lord street staff and thank you Molly!

"Lovely hotel with amazing staff"
TDWLLTL, 19 Février 2022

This was our second visit to the Lord Street Hotel which we stumbled on by chance in 2021 as a great value hotel in the centre of Southport. Our first visit exceeded all of our expectations and our most recent visit confirmed why it is one of the best hotels in the town. The wonderful staff team are the main reason it is so welcoming and the rooms are maintained to an excellent standard. If you appreciate rooms with deep carpets, a walk in shower and a large TV, you won't be disappointed. We've stayed in many luxury, moderate and budget hotels all over the world and whilst this might not be a Four Seasons, the staff are most definitely comparable to some of the very best hotels. Yes, you may hear other guests in the corridors (even the quietest hotels can't control the volume of all guests), and it is above a very good sports bar and modern pub, so if you're after somewhere where you can hear a pin drop, perhaps choose somewhere else. Breakfast can be delivered to the rooms or is available from the refurbished sister hotel across the road. We've never been in-room diners, so it really isn't an inconvenience to take the short walk (we've walked much, much further for breakfast in many hotels!) The breakfast offering is traditionally English with a small continental selection, all of which is plentiful and as good as any standard English breakfast. If you're in Southport for business or for pleasure, give the hotel a try. You won't be disappointed. Thank you to all the staff, both in the hotel and at breakfast. You're all a credit to the hospitality industry.

"Lovely Friendly Boutique Hotel"
William w, 04 Février 2022

Excellent welcome by reception, the manager was really friendly and helpful his cocktails are outstanding, the rooms are lovely and altho they only do fast food in the bar they have an outstanding restaurant over the road at their sister hotel The Bold Hotel, our stay was really good and as we was impressed we are returning in March such was our admiration during our stay and can 100% recommend.

"Nice hotel but no chance of sleep"
fireant4, 16 Janvier 2022

The staff a excellent and professional. The hotel was very clean and rooms spotless. We must have been unfortunate with the room we was given (118) so if you stay avoid this room if you want a peaceful time. It's based right next to the main stairs so every time someone goes up or down you hear this, as you can imagine this happens a lot at busy times so sleepless nights and no lay in. Bar areas are really good. Perfect if sports fan and loads of screens

"Fantastic Hotel "
Elaine A, 02 Janvier 2022

Excellent hotel and Claudia and Howard are a big part of this hotel. They were wonderful and so friendly. Howard's cocktails were amazing too. Would 100% recommend staying here if you want a nice comfortable break. We will definitely be staying again for next New Year.

"Fantastic stay at this well placed, clean and friendly hotel "
CarolK801, 01 Janvier 2022

From booking to checking in to arranging car parking , breakfast etc it was all done efficiently and with good humour. Howard met us as we checked in and sorted out the reduction in car parking fee for the car park at the rear. We had already arranged our evening meal but Howard knows the restaurant well and made good recommendations. Its a very clean hotel , well placed and well laid out . You have your breakfast across the road at the Bold Hotel and this was delicious. Great hotel , good price and location , nothing negative to be said ...highly recommended

"More than excellent"
bettysD913GB, 28 Décembre 2021

From first contact to final departure nothing was too much for any of the staff. Being a wheelchair user, a member Of staff always accompanied me to the Bold where meals were taken apart from breakfast which was delivered to my room. My room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was perfect, almost a replica of my own bathroom. The only thing missing was a full length mirror which I believe is to be addressed. Claudia - well what can be said other than she is much more than an asset to the hotel and someone to be valued. When the fire alarm went off during the night they were certainly on they ball with Ollie, I think it was reassuring me to stay in my room as someone was coming to help me, Joanne, security, and a couple of security guards came to carry me downstairs. Thankfully it turned out to be a false alarm so evacuation was not needed. I felt really safe and confident that the hotel is a very safe place to stay. I was travelling alone for the first time and will most definitely be returning and can recommend it for wheelchair users who don't require specialist as everyone in both hotels go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. Claudia, I can't thank you enough and I'd like you to extend my sincere thanks to all the staff, the hotel is lucky to have such genuine caring staff. I look forward to booking again when the weather is hopefully a bit better.

Excellent hotel. Great location. We have never visited Southport before but we found it was a lovely friendly place. We went for the luminate show in Victoria Park which was a 15-20 minute walk away. Shoutout to Howard and his amazing but deadly cocktails, definitely worth a try. We enjoyed our breakfast which was just over the road at their sister hotel ‘the bold'

"Lovely hotel with great staff"
F8960YGmattp, 30 Novembre 2021

Great hotel on Lord Street with lovely newly fitted out rooms. The location and breakfast at The Bold across the road was great but it was the warmth of the staff that really made the visit special: arriving late at night with tired kids the staff made sure that we were able to get something to eat. A really nice place to spend a few days.

Excellent stay once again beautiful Accomadation with friendly helpful staff Claudia the front of house was so helpful the only downside to our stay was that the room we was promised was given away to somebody else however to compensate for this we was given complementary breakfasts for one day

"First night away with our young baby"
rachelq324, 11 Novembre 2021

We had such a lovely stay with our 6 week old baby! Room was gorgeous, staff were all lovely and very helpful. Perfect location, near bars and restaurants! Beautiful hotel, smelt really nice, would definitely stay again.

"Incredible value for money, lovely rooms & staff (Aunt Claudia at reception is a queen & Simona at the bar, a princess!)"
MagnetudeMusic, 10 Novembre 2021

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at the Royal Clifton for 2 nights at £130, for a room with no heating, single glazed windows, but the staff were very nice, just the hotel is in such an old condition. we then spent 1 night at Pontins, which I will not even dare to go through, except mentioning that 1 of the beds was covered in blood - Both hotels are managed by Britannia Hotels, and trust me when I say this, just save yourself the hassle and avoid any hotel under this umbrella. We then decided to stay an extra day in Southport with our friends before we all travelled home and both booked at the very last minute at The Lord Street Hotel and paid £50 for each room (2 rooms), and the staff went above and beyond for us (Auntie) Claudia at the reception was by far the most amazing and helpful receptionist I have ever encountered and I stay at hotels almost every weekend. After hearing about our experience throughout the weekend, Claudia and the management upgraded myself, my girlfriend and friends to the best available rooms in the hotel with no additional charges to ensure we were going to spend a night that she believed we needed. The rooms were amazing - Super clean, everything pretty much brand new and working, 4k televisions, incredibly comfortable beds, heating, and lovely staff at the bar, especially Simona who served us drinks and even came to sit with us after she clocked off her shift. There's also a restaurant literally across the road that is part of the hotel company and does incredible food, and has extremely friendly staff too. The hotel is also a 10 minute walk from the train station and a stones throw from the beach too, so the location is perfect if you want to go sightseeing, or for a walk to the town centre and to the beach. I would 110% recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Southport.

"Fabulous"
andrewtH2059WW, 09 Novembre 2021

Exceptionally good value room including breakfast. Room was like new and spotless, large flat screen TV, in fact as big as my one in my lounge! Superb breakfast, and bar! On arrival i was greeted by Claudia who was so helpful. She advised on restaurants and i needed a document printing and nothing was too much trouble for her, she is truly one of the best receptionists i have encountered. I will return.

"Great Hotel"
diannew826, 01 Novembre 2021

Absolutely loved our time here at this Hotel. Great Location, close to main shopping and has lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Our room was gorgeous! We had a lovely view of Lord Street and the bed was very comfy! All staff that we encountered were very friendly. Trinity in particular was exceptional. She was very friendly and bubbly, a great asset to the hotel. I must also give a mention to Howard, the cocktails he made us were delicious. I would definitely recommend his French Martini! All in all we had a great experience here and we will definitely be returning in the future.

"Fantastic value"
Jimb0d1, 30 Octobre 2021

Had the smallest double room available. It's perfectly fine. Fridge, hairdryer, iron and room to use them. Big TV. Quiet inside. Thick curtains to use if worried about privacy. Clean. Modern. Good shower pressure. Hotel called me the night before to sort out parking arrangements etc and answer any queries. Lovely welcome on the night from Anne on reception. Some stairs to the room, nothing to be worried about unless you have health issues/disabled. Breakfast is directly across the road at the Bold. It's a nicer venue for food and decent service. Full English of good quality. Croissants and cereal available, perhaps not the biggest selection of continental but more than enough cooked options. Location is as good as it gets for Lord Street, beachfront and town. This is not the swankiest hotel around and some people won't like sharing reception with the bar. However, it's clean, comfortable and modern with everything you need. Would definitely stay again and represented fantastic value at around £70 per night mid week.

"Horrific Experience"
Steffipuss, 22 Octobre 2021

I have just had two nights of hell in this hotel, and they have gone out of their way to make my stay as miserable as possible for reasons of vindictiveness. I booked a Deluxe King room through Booking.Com for two nights' dinner bed and breakfast and paid in advance. When I arrived at reception the manager told me I had no booking. This led to a long and protracted argument for an hour as I showed him proof of my payment and confirmation. He was combative and aggressive and refused to accept I had a booking. He got on his radio and asked someone to remove me from the hotel. At this point another member of staff called Claudia appeared and she said I had cancelled the booking that morning. I told them I most definitely had not and wouldn't have come all that way by train for nothing. At this point I was crying and upset. I was worried about being stranded in Southport on my own as it was going dark now. I also have autism and disabilities. I tried to get in touch with Booking. Com which I had to do by live chat which is like pulling teeth. They kept reiterating that I have a 100% confirmed booking. Showing this to the manager and Claudia made no difference, they were adamant I didn't. Eventually after Booking. Com phoned them, they reluctantly gave me a different room to what I had been booked for. Room 119. They said this was a `superior' room and I should be grateful. However, upon entering the room it had a pungent smell of body odor and an extremely tiny window which didn't open. I had made a point when booking of asking for a window. In fact, the hotel had telephoned me the night before to confirm the booking and they had told me I would be in room 112 and that the windows opened! It seemed the room wasn't even ready as a member of staff was moving items from the room as I arrived. The room was up two flights of stairs as the lift only goes to the first floor which meant dragging my case and bag up the stairs which is hard as I have disabilities. The row about me not having a booking was still rumbling on. Eventually someone from the Bold Hotel across the road came over (as apparently calls are put through to them. She found me another room which had windows that open after the manager had sneered at me that no windows in the hotel open due to a safety feature. She said there had been a “glitch with the computer system. However, the manager and Claudia would not accept this and made no apology. The manager also referred to me as “special needs” which I found derogatory implying that I deserved to be treated badly. Claudia was still on the phone to Booking. Com complaining about me and not wanting to accommodate me. They made me feel unsafe and totally unwelcome. I just wanted to go home. I asked Booking.Com if I could be refunded but they replied “no”, so I was stuck there if I didn't want to lose my money and buy new train tickets. Meals are taken across the road at the Bold Hotel which is not mentioned when you book. They gave me no information upon checking in either. I went across for my evening meal and I was allocated a table in a corner. The menu was very limited. I ordered Leek and Potato soup which arrived with an oil slick on top. There was nothing I was able to eat apart from “Pie of the day” which happened to be Cottage pie and mash. So, I plumped for the carvery. After I had my soup, I sat waiting for ages and no one came over. It was about an hour, so I asked if I needed to go over for the carvery. I was told curtly I need to “wait until chef is ready”. There was a bit of a queue and I could see that the carvery looked very dried up. I asked if I could change my order to “pie of the day” I was told “no” I would have to wait my turn. I glanced round and saw the manager from the Lord Street Hotel glaring at me. He had obviously informed the staff and they were treating me in a disrespectful manner. The carvery was completely cold. There was turkey which was all dried up and crumbled to dust as it was being carved. There were cold stale Yorkshire puddings, dried up mash potato, roast potatoes and very unappetizing congealed looking veg such as swede/carrot combo, mushy peas, parsnips and sprouts. It was very cold and the only thing lukewarm was the gravy, so I ended up leaving most of that. No one asked if my meal was OK, and no-one came near me all evening. As I had paid for my dinner in advance I didn't know how much I had to spend so I asked and it was £25 so I had money left over but no one would serve me so I could not find out if there were any desserts. After being there for over two hours, I got up to leave because of the terrible atmosphere. I asked a member of staff if I had anything to pay and they tried to charge me for two cokes even though I only had one. Breakfast the following day was a similar affair. You have to go across to the Bold. It was raining. I was asked if I wanted a drink, I asked for a tea which is served in the tiniest teapot imaginable except they had omitted a tea bag and I had to ask for one. You cannot help yourself to anything. I had the full breakfast which arrived stone cold again and minus key items advertised i.e., fried bread, black pudding and one tiny plum tomato. They didn't even ask me if I wanted white or brown toast. They put the toast on the plate buried under beans and tomato so it's all soggy and put the butter sachet on the plate, so it melts. It was piled up like a dog's breakfast. After breakfast it was raining heavily, and I had not been given any tea bags, so I asked Claudia at reception who angrily replied “if you want teabags ask housekeeping” before turning her back on me! I ended up going back to bed crying and distressed. It was like an endurance test. I was utterly miserable. Later, it was time for evening meal. I ended up being in their 3 hours service so unbelievably slow. It was the same Leek and Potato soup with grease floating on the top this time with the addition of parsley and uncooked leek. This is the only choice of soup. Next, I had fish chips and mushy peas which were inedible (see picture). The batter was an inch thick and like a pancake the fish was hard and overcooked. The chips were unappetizing frozen chips. This time I was asked if my meal was Ok, I said no put nothing further was said I had to leave it all. I spent ages trying to get a dessert which was just cake and a coffee and again had to chase around to ask someone. Key things like condiments and sugar are not on the table so you must keep getting up to ask someone or hunt round for them yourself from a trolley. There are no redeeming features of this hotel whatsoever. They advertise Deluxe, luxury rooms which are at best functional. I have stayed in much better two star hotels which were better value for monry. This is very expensive for waht it is. There is a big TV and that is about it. The shower had low water pressure, kept going hot and cold and the fixtures and fittings were dusty. Worst of all is the vindictive nature of the staff. It's probably OK if nothing goes wrong but you will see another side to them if they have doubled book or whatever. They are spiteful and vindictive. They made my two days a total misery. I feel this happened because I was a female alone. They have an appalling attitude to disabled people. The hotel is not accessible at all for disabled people. They were determined to make me suffer because I came for a booking which I had paid for in full which they insisted was cancelled. I see from reviews this has happened before. I fully expect a reply full of misrepresentation of the facts and lies. After ringing Booking.com I was made aware that the hotel had made numerous false allegations against me including one I had threatened the chef which is a blatant lie and didn't have any interactions with a chef or make any threats to anyone. I spent two nights stay in tears feeling intimidated and hiding from them as I felt vulnerable due to their appalling attitude towards me. I would not recommend this hotel for safety reasons, and this is demonstrable in their replies to reviews and barbed comments to any review they don't like.

I cannot the fault the hotel which completey met our expectations, all staff that we encountered were polite and courteous, Trinity in particular was standout. You will not go wrong staying in this hotel.

"Decent enough for a night"
beccahill2021, 18 Octobre 2021

We stayed here for a small hen do for my sister. Upon check in we were informed my booking request was not honoured to have the two rooms made into twin rooms, which is advertised as possible on request. I was even called the night before check-in to confirm my request, but only one room was made into a twin and the other was unable to be split, so we had to share the double. Additionally the room which had to remain a double had an awful eggy smell coming from the bathroom drains, which was not pleasant. Check in was slow so I didn't see the point in completing the online check in form I was emailed with a day earlier. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice, with a good range of options. The location is ideal for bars and restaurants in Southport and we didn't walk any more than 10 minutes other locations.

"Misleading advertising"
Anothernormalbloke, 11 Octobre 2021

I booked a delux king room through booking.com. The advertisement stated (breakfast available) It also shows a picture of a breakfast. Breakfast IS NOT available at the Lord Street hotel. You have to go across the road to another hotel for breakfast. I was also told that parking was £8 per night through an arrangement with a local car park. I was not given the necessary code & once on the car park & under the cameras it is to late & costs £30 this is not refundable at reception. The deluxe king room had a two foot square window looking onto the back of a building. There was only a small shaving mirror in the bathroom (no use to a woman applying make up) If a man bent over the basin to wash, he would bang his head. There were no bedside lamps, just a dimmer for the main light. There was nothing deluxe about the room although it was clean.

We stayed at the lord street hotel last night when we arrived the lovely lady Claudia greeted us and took us to our room she was one of the nicest people We had the pleasure of meeting, she went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible we will be booking again shortly I would highly recommend this hotel too

"Excellent"
movitaa2021, 19 Septembre 2021

we booked this hotel for a week for my Mum and her partner as due to personal circumstances we had to make it special for her. She's now come home and I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough...they really did go above and beyond our expectations. They were so kind and helpful, they made her feel like she had spent the holiday of a lifetime at their hotel. The room was beautiful and the meals were delicious, therefore, we could relax knowing that Mum was being treated amazingly and having good quality meals to keep her going. The people who work there whether you are management or cleaning staff, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our Mum feel like a princess.

"Not disability friendly, far from it! "
Lalrmi, 18 Septembre 2021

Wow, what a difference a couple of years make. We first visited here in 2019, and on the back of the experience I left a good review, this was responded to by management thanking me and offering me at 10% discount when I return. Well we did return this week, and what a difference we noted, I would go as far as saying that as a person with disability needs, this hotel is absolutely disgraceful and shows a total disregard to anyone with a disability need. Firstly the promised 10 per cent discount did not happen, and when we tried to book we were told that the promised discount could not be applied. Never mind let me now offer my feedback on our most recent visit. On arrival at this hotel we found that you could not park anywhere near this hotel, the front is now grassed and full of picnic benches, we had to park quite some distance away on the road, I am a blue badge user and have mobility problems, so whoever came up with this crazy idea needs sacking, it shows a clear disregard for anyone with a disability need. The long walk with a case put quite a dampener on the stay and caused me quite some discomfort throughout the evening. So as if that was not bad enough, we checked in and made mention of the lack of blue badge parking facility and the excuse was this was done during lockdown to allow people to sit outside to drink. Whilst that is just partly understandable, it shows a clear disregard for anyone with a disability need, nothing less than shocking really. But still the worst was yet to come, room 123, despite having just made mention of the issue we were told our room is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift, the lift will take you to the first floor, but the other floors have to be accessed by stairs. That sounds like a lot of stairs and quite a bit of a climb to me is what I said to the lady checking us in, oh dear was the reply. I think this hotel needs to be more clear when advertising and clearly state that there could be an issue to anyone suffering with a mobility problem. The experience totally ruined the overnight stay in Southport and we most certainly will not be returning here. One more issue to add to the list is the shower, who came up with the idea of a fixed shower screen with a gap of about 16 inches to get into the shower, it may be alright for small people but try to see how a man of 6ft1 and 19 stone is supposed to get into that. The room was also advertised as a deluxe king at best the bed was a standard double, and the room itself was small. What an absolutely terrible experience this stay turned out to be, left me feeling like I've been fleeced.

"Claudia is the best!"
Miss_Am_Ab, 17 Septembre 2021

Me and a friend stayed a night very last minute and we could not ask for a better stay! Claudia was funny, bubbly and felt more like a friend, we will definitely be coming back for sure. Feels like we have family here now! I also forgot my phone in the room and she was so helpful with this, she found and looked after my phone until I was able to retrieve it!

"Fabulous and friendly"

Just spent 5 nights at the Lord Street Hotel. Lovely hotel - nice decor and layout, super friendly staff, great breakfast and really comfy beds. Great location, just a short walk to the beach. Will definitely go back.

"Lovely room"
Rebecca B, 16 Septembre 2021

We had a lovely stay at this hotel mid September. Location is fab. Room felt really luxurious and the decor was beautiful. Amazing shower and bed. The tv was very big too for a hotel room. Great Irish pub below too which we drunk in before bed. A brilliant stay - thanks!

"Lovely stay"

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, room was beautiful with very comfy beds and an amazing shower. Slight downfall on no full length mirror and dim lighting. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Parking nearby £3 for 24 hours!

"Flying visit to Southport"
KazG999, 05 Septembre 2021

We were originally booked into the sister hotel, the Bold, but some kind of mix up with our Booking.com reservation resulted in being put into this hotel instead. Comfortable room, very quiet, great electric shower, good bar facilities. Car parking available to the back of the hotel which cost us £8 for 24 hours. Breakfast is taken across the road at the Bold, or you can request it be brought across for you. We opted to go over the road. All staff encountered at both hotels were lovely. Only a one night stay to go to a party locally, but if we're ever in the area again we'd definitely stay here again.

"Brilliant"

Absolutely wonderful rooms very modern. Good night sleep too. Claudia is great asset to the hotel so friendly she goes above all aboard I hope she gets recognised how great she is. Def be back next year.

"Lord Street Hotel"

My wife and I have just spent two nights at The Lord Street Hotel. Great location, spotlessly clean. Friendly helpful staff, Claudia on reception was brilliant! Parking right behind the hotel £8.00 for 24 hours, paid at reception. Would definately stay at this hotel again.

"Lovely, Clean Modern Boutique Hotel with friendly staff"
TravellingWilby, 31 Août 2021

Stayed Bank Holiday Monday & Tuesday with my husband. Check in was slightly delayed due to being full the night before & some guests having had late checkouts however Claudia on reception was very friendly & helpful, an absolute gem all the time we were there & allocated a quiet room on the first floor as requested. A side note; the lift only goes to the first floor so anyone with mobility issues needs to do the same. Our room was ultra modern, high spec & spacious being well decorated & spotlessly clean. It had a comfy bed & included tea & coffee facilities & a mini fridge. The shower is electric & previously, in other hotels, I have bad experiences as the water pressure was low & temperatures fluctuated but the one in the Lord Street Hotel was very efficient & modern. The only complaint about the room is the window may need some attention i.e. it didn't seem to be sealed properly as we could hear every street noise & seagull when we were awake but didn't spoil our stay. Breakfast: This consists of cereal, choice of as much orange juice tea & coffee as you could drink with different choices of cooked breakfast fare & mini Danish pastries. It's prepared across the road at the sister hotel "The Bold" but you can place an order the night before for it to be served at the Lord Street Hotel. However we weren't sure if it was a buffet breakfast so we went over there. In hindsight it isn't so I recommend that you eat it at the Lord Street. Good breakfast on the whole but there was only 1 choice of cereal- not great especially for kids as it was Granola!! Wouldn't be much bother for or expensive for them to add cornflakes & rice krispies!!! In addition we had to wait 30 minutes for the cooked breakfast. The continental part of the breakfast was self service but this wasn't explained by the staff & we had to ask if it was included in the hotel breakfast & where it was. On the plus side the staff were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Overall good stay & we would return.

"Exceeded all expectations!"
Lennon4Ever, 31 Août 2021

We booked this hotel on a booking site which is very impersonal but that all changed on the eveneing before we were due to chech in. We received a courtesy call asking us if everything was still going according to plan for our reservation and expalined the options for parking, breakfast and asked if we had any speciial requests. We did and they were effortlessly taken care of. I don't think I have met a more friiendly and efficient receptionist than Claudia. What an asset to have as rhe first point of contact! She introduced us to Michael, the hotel Manager ad he was equally charming and helpful. We were too early to check in but he had our luggage taken to the room for us in advance of the actual check in. The room was absolutely immaculately clean and furnished very tastefully with high quality fabrics, curtains and bedding. The huge bed was very comfortable and although this hotel is located on a main road in the centre of Southport, the double glazing did its' job and we had a wonderful, peaceful sleep. Before going to bed we decided to have a drink on the rooftop terrace which was actually closed. Not a problem! Rob O'Hare, a really friendly and helpful guy, opened it up for us and put the heaters on. Nothing is too much truble to the staff here and we are looking forward to a return visit. I expect this to become the number 1 hotel in the area, Thanks to all conncerned.

"Good venue, would stay again."
Andyhailsfromwales, 28 Août 2021

Bit of a party venue (not necessarily a bad thing) & Sports Bar, but well presented with helpful staff. We had a nice room with a very comfy bed, right on the front overlooking Lord Street - could have done with net curtains though for more privacy. Nice breakfast which can be taken in room, in the bar or in Bold Hotel across the road. Handy parking behind hotel £8/24hrs.

"Overnight stay"
isabell0uisec, 25 Août 2021

My fiance & I had wee overnight at the Lord Street Hotel recently & first impressions were good. Very friendly staff, lovely decor, nice bar (apart from a number of dirty tables) that eventually got cleaned. Our room was modern, comfortable & clean apart from few huge cobwebs hanging from ceiling! In the morning the shower didn't work so girl at reception let us use a vacant room to have a shower. This held us back a little. We also had nice breakfast (room service) but had to use wooden cutlery which broke trying to cut through, definitely not the easiest task! I would love to have given 5 rating but had to rate on our stay.

"Simply lovely "
46biggy46, 25 Août 2021

This was our first visit to the hotel and its a lovely place and we will definitely recommend and return. The car park is at the rear of the hotel/casino which is £8 for 24 hours. We arrived at check Inn and were met by the lovely Claudia who is amazing and friendly. Our room was big but a tiny window and view of the disused casino room 101. We had drinks on the terrace which is a lovely suntrap only .I ordered 3 drinks which I couldn't carry all of them and asked fora tray sorry non left and no offer of I can help carry your drinks so a bit disappointed in the customer service as I was the only customer at this point. Breakfast was served over the road at the bold which was OK and very little out as in continental choices. Overall a lovely place and we will definitely recommend and return.

"Brilliant Hotel"
MarkWW57, 24 Août 2021

Stayed twice at this hotel in the past month and loved it. The hotel has a large sports bar, a lounge bar and a champagne and fizz bar (weekends only). It also has a huge seating area out the front where you can watch life on Lord Street. The staff are great and we've had no issues at all and will definitely be back soon. The rooms are superb as well, although there are stairs involved which might be a problem for some. I've already recommended this hotel to friends back home. The sister hotel across the road is The Bold Hotel and the food in there is really good. There are also a number of great restaurants in the immediate vicinity and I would recommend Auberge which is an Italian right across the road.

"Sarah Brown"
sarahbB4997QM, 23 Août 2021

We stayed here for one night in August. When we arrived there was a couple in front of us talking to the receptionist for a very long time. We waited for 45 minutes before giving up and deciding to wait outside. Luckily a friendly man outside noticed us and took in our cases. The bed was extremely comfortable and room very clean. Only thing was the shower would go boiling hot and then freezing cold (room 117). The hotel itself is lovely however I don't feel the staff are very friendly apart from the man who served us at the beginning who I imagine is the manager.

"Lovely Hotel"
NellieScotland, 16 Août 2021

Beautiful room, so comfortable and well presented. A few little niggles, couldn't reach the hangers in wardrobe properly. They were the type which attach with a small metal ball which fits into a sliding fixture on a rail. I am 5ft 2 and every time I tried to remove a hanger, I had to get my 5ft 10 partner to hold it still, so, not good if you're under say 5ft 4. The lift only goes to the 1st floor, our room was up some very steep stairs which was difficult while carrying a case or if, like me, you have dodgy knees. Just a couple of niggles, not much can be done about the stairs but maybe have a look at the height or type of hangers. Had a great stay though !!

"Comfortable, friendly, good location"
IanWilliams, 12 Août 2021

We arrived late after a lengthy journey, with a tired and restless baby. The staff were kindness itself, helping us in with our luggage and up to our rooms. We were too late for the kitchen, so they had made us salads and provided a bottle of wine. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was over the road at the Bold (part of the same group) and was good, with a wide choice and decent coffee. I happily recommend this hotel.

"Lovely room"
JMF3214, 10 Août 2021

Very nice hotel in a good location. Breakfast at the sister hotel over the road was very nice although the first morning we weren't told about the continental selection and cereals that were available for either before or after our full English. Housekeeping was done very late in the day. I had to call at 3.30pm to request clean towels as we were getting ready to go out early. Most hotels tend to do this in the morning not late afternoon. Other than that a pleasant stay.

"Fantastic Value for Money"
JT262626, 08 Août 2021

Stayed for 2 nights with my Granddaughter as a mini break, couldn't fault a thing. Lovely modern room, spotlessly clean, all staff were lovely, enjoyed having a drink sat on the upstairs balcony and the half board deal was excellent. Meals served across the road in the Bold hotel, basic continental buffet and hot food menu for breakfast - really relaxing and then evening meal was choose anything from the menu (I had 3 courses) and you pay via a £25 a head voucher (child allocation was £10), huge portions and lots of choice. Brilliant location - on the promenade in 5 minutes via the street opposite and lots of shops / restaurants around. I stayed on a Wednesday / Thursday so even though hotel was busy, it was quiet - because the hotel is above a 2 story bar which is part of the hotel, (plus there is an Irish bar next door) it could be noisier at weekends but I found any noise went when the bedroom windows were closed and my room was just above the outside terrace where some people were sat drinking - the room had air conditioning (bonus!).

We've just had the pleasure of staying at the Lord Street Hotel and it was a 10/10 experience. A huge shout out to Howard, who was a real gem and made the stay one for the memory books. His secret mojito recipe will also go down as legendary. We'll be back!

"Fabulous staff"
Jlo22013, 17 Juillet 2021

Just wanted to say that we are locals, and had a fabulous night here yesterday in the Irish bar attached. Not somewhere we frequent but looking to stay out after 11 and found here. From the funny and friendly doorman to the young lady mixing a great range of mean drinks behind the bar, the service was excellent. We were a mixed group from 20 to 60 in age and everyone was made welcome and catered for. Our lovely server couldn't do enough and he had a great sense of humour, keeping us entertained and making sure we shall return! I would recommend here for anyone who is visiting southport.

"Outstanding Place"
NLough, 17 Juin 2021

Over the last few weeks and months since the national lockdown. The lord Street Hotel has been the past to be. Lovely outdoor seating areas paired with a large outdoor screen showing all the major sporting events. It doesn't stop there. indoor facilities are just as outstanding. lovely sports-themed decor including meany pieces singed by sporting greats. A good selection of drinks is offered as to be expected along with a rather small but just as exciting food menu. The staff are very professional and friendly when greeting customers. I would also like to express a special thank you to Trinity, she couldn't have done better during our visit. Very friendly and nothing was too much hassle for her. A very quick and very professional service was offered throughout. I will definitely recommend The Lord Street Hotel to all and can confirm I will be attending again.

"Lovely Saturday evening thanks to Howard"
Claire H, 12 Juin 2021

I have been here many times prior to lockdown and always enjoyed the experience. We returned tonight after almost 12 months and without a reservation on a beautiful sunny evening managed to secure a table on the balcony bar. The place was extremely busy but Howard managed to see to every customers needs, despite being rushed of his feet Howard's service and hospitality was so exceptional he made our night so ouch more enjoyable. We will keep returning here and recommend the place to anyone local or visiting the area . Thank you Howard for making our evening so lovely.

"Couldn't fault it"
Srobertson33, 09 Juin 2021

Lovely little hotel located right in the centre of everything. Beach and pier were only a short walk from the hotel, shops were located on the road where the hotel was. Breakfast and evening meal were served at the sister hotel right across the road, food and service was absolutely spot on. Staff were really helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. You can't check in earlier than 3pm however you can leave your bags in the lounge if you do arrive earlier. They also allow you to leave them on checkout and collect them later on if you wish to stay in the area for longer. Room was really clean and well presented, the bed extremely comfortable. The room also has air conditioning which was great as it was really hot when we stayed. Really couldn't fault the whole stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Avoid!"
Gemma And Rick P, 12 Mai 2021

1 night stay resulted in manager making an unauthorised purchase using my bank card details. My bank fraud team dealing with it now. Disgusting behaviour by the new manager Mike. Paid for a double room got 2 single beds pushed together after a courtesy call previous evening to confirm double bed??? But that was the least of my worries.... Decent breakfast brought to room, after of course having to prove I prepaid for B&B, manager didn't believe me? For then to argue that yes I want breakfast at 7.30am before I leave for work, wow, they weren't happy about that either? Avoid if you want a stress free stay.

"What a place! Great atmosphere!! Definitely recommend"
kayla w, 10 Mai 2021

We had such a fabulous time here. Thank you to Mike the manager recommended some lovely drinks that gave me a right hangover but it was so worth it! I'll definitely be returning time and time again! Such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere! 5 stars! I'd give more but it's usually out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Lovely atmosphere "
ChelseyX123, 09 Mai 2021

Visited recently for a few afternoon / evening drinks with friends and can't fault the experience. Great selection of drinks and cocktails to enjoy some afternoon sunshine with! At prime times of the day there was occasionally a slight wait with ordering times but the staff are run off their feet at this busy time with everywhere only just opening up again so this is completely understandable and simply can't be helped. It didn't affect our experience in any way and will 100% be returning in the near future.

"Great Experience"

"Mix up with room and food order"
J9141PSshirleyf, 31 Décembre 2020

We arrived at 3pm to be told the room was not ready, we returned and was given keys to room 112 we went into room and found there was clothing and personal items on the bed. We heard a person in the bathroom? So we left and returned to reception. The receptionist had given us the same room as the previous quest. We should be in 115. She appoliged and gave me the correct room. We booked for a DBB but they didn't have the booking I made 2 days earlier. We had to explain at the restaurant that we did pre booking for the meal, this was very frustrating trying to explain. We also had to have our breakfast in the room due to area being put in tier 3 that morning. When the breakfast arrived it was cold and wasent offered coffee or juice. The bedroom was lovely as were the staff. The bar staff, were very helpful and polite.

beautiful hotel, couldn't fault anything. lovely rooms absolutely spotless and friendly staff and excellent service we went 2 weekends on a row and are definitely going back! although there's no on site parking there are plenty areas nearby available for a small charge we went across the road to the sister hotel for breakfast again impressed by the lovely decor and staff

"Beautiful room and decor - sports bar entrance not my scene"
V9848HHclairer, 05 Octobre 2020

First impressions on Arrival at the hotel was not the best due to the sports bar smokers outside the front door. On going inside it was not clear where to check in as the football crowd was quite noisy. Check in was fine and the room was excellent- lovely decor, comfortable bed, good shower. We breakfasted at the sister hotel the Bold across the road - which was excellent

"Fantastic hotel"
julie246, 04 Octobre 2020

Stayed for 1 night as we wanted to go to greek restaurant nearby. The room was absolutely lovely, very spacious and very modern. Bathroom was very spacious too and a great large shower. The only criticism was the seat for doing hair and make up was very low for the mirror. Bed comfy and huge TV. Parking is only £3 for the whole day which is behind the sister hotel the Bold. The hotel receptionist was very helpful and gave us a room on the first floor which was a god send as we did have a lot of luggage as we had just come from a break at the lakes. Thought the price of the room was very reasonable. If we are back in the area we will definitely return without a doubt.

"Fabulous hotel"
donnadO8826ZC, 04 Octobre 2020

Stayed her for 1 night just for a little break to go out have a meal & drinks, there are a few different areas to sit in including sports bar for the football fans, we sat in the upstairs hotel bar early evening lovely atmosphere absolutely spotless and the staff are all lovely and very helpful, would definitely return

"Enjoyable Stay"
Robsevenoaks, 22 Septembre 2020

Just had 3 nights here on a golf trip to the area. Well looked after at the hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast across the road at sister hotel (The Bold) were very good. Rooms comfortable, clean and well furnished although I stayed on top floor which is a bit of a climb.

"Amazing hotel"
476rebeccae, 20 Septembre 2020

Stayed here for one night, staff were very welcoming, room was clean, very modern and nothing to fault. Great location for bars and for the beach. Hotel had roof top terrace bar and Irish bar which was really good. Definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in, will be back.

"One night"
Bluemooners1958, 19 Septembre 2020

Nice hotel great position very clean lovely bar area and room nice, breakfast was at the bold hotel over the road and very nice it was.only problem was the seating area on the verandah some nice comfy chairs instead of the wooden benches which are their now and a good clean up bird droppings and loose wires from aerials hanging down it could be so much better.

"WILL NOT BE COMING BACK"
G1491XGunkn, 15 Septembre 2020

WILL NOT BE COMING AGAIN !!! Upon arrival employee was very unwelcoming, no cocktails could be ordered and when asked for peroni was denied, when upstairs no umbrellas on balcony so had to sit inside and when given food the spaghetti tasted like it was from a can and burger was overpriced for what was given as the burger looked squished and was not appealing or anything like the picture provided. The only good thing about my experience was leaving the venue!!

"Perfection!"
Mary C, 15 Septembre 2020

Super hotel. Claudia on reception is a great ambassador for this lovely spotlessly clean hotel. Bed was sumptuous and en suite is to die for. Huge terrace to enjoy the sunshine and we will most definitely be back.

"Lovely stat"
alanh870, 06 Septembre 2020

Would like to thank the staff at this establishment for a 5* stay from start to finish, so professional and friendly , beds are well comfortable, definitely use again, the bar area is well worth visiting for sporting enthusiasts.

"Weekend visit Sept'20"
I3535VUandyt, 06 Septembre 2020

The lady on reception was welcoming, friendly, professional and informative. We checked in online so we just had to sign for our room, pay and got our keys. We stayed for 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. The room was very modern, spacious, had air conditioning and a lovely bathroom. The whole hotel was immaculately clean, spotless, with really comfy beds and crisp sheets. Because the room was above a local bar the noise at nights and early in the morning could be an issue. On Friday the music ended at 22.30, on Saturday it went on through the night and stopped on Sunday , 02.00 am followed by rowdy kicking out. We were woken on Saturday morning by the beer barrels being delivered about 07.30. Breakfast is served across the road at the sister hotel, The Bold. Probably wouldn't stay here next time because of the noise and limited parking. Very pricey for 2 days

"Matthew 10/10"
SavvyTraveler125800, 25 Août 2020

Matthew is a great guy, 10/10 bartender, made us feel really welcome during our stay, top notch customer service definitely deserves a bonus this month! Lord street hotel is in an ideal location for city centre amenities/travel links.

"Super trendy great location"
nadpau, 16 Août 2020

Booked this hotel as we have been to southport a few times and was very curious. We were not disappointed initially had a upper room but found that too be a little small for us but we were pleased to be able to be move to a much larger room with a great view of the town..room 110. Staff are very accommodating and very friendly although we are still in a pandemic the hotel is very clean and we not nervous about our stay. Breakfast is across the road at the sister hotel The Bold were you are served to very generous portion of excellent tasting food. Staff again very accommodating The hotel is located in a very hip area of Southport lots of nearby bars and upmarket restaurants in the area. The Lord street hotel itself has super bar and upper terrace champagne bar nicely decorated plus The Punch Tarmey sports bar downstairs. All very tasteful decorated and comfortable We had a superb weekend and thank you to Sandy , Ian and Kerry for your hospitality we will be back

"A Great Time!!"
94caroleh, 13 Août 2020

Our first visit to Southport, and The Lord Street Hotel provided a perfect central location to explore. Our room 102 was lovely, very clean and quiet and the added luxury of air con was very much appreciated during this heat wave. All of the staff were helpful, friendly and in particular the guy with the pony tail serving in their Irish bar next door. Breakfast is served over the road at "The Bold" hotel, which is also a lovely hotel but they really need to sort their service. We waited to order breakfast around 20 minutes, and we are still waiting for our coffees :) Several people just got up and left. A lovely break!!

"Wonderful hotel, better staff"
edwtd, 08 Août 2020

Stayed at the lord street hotel from Friday into Saturday, received a courtesy call the night before my arrival which is always a lovely touch. On check in I was greeted by a gentleman who explained everything promptly. Contact is minimum due to new procedures post Covid-19. We booked a ‘cosy' double, i was very much surprised, the room was ample in space and had everything we needed. View wasn't fantastic but I was on a weekend away in Southport, who stands at the window in their room?! We were invited for drinks on the balcony bar and had some of the best cocktails we've had in a while. After dinner we returned to the hotel to revellers singing and drinking and generally having a very good night. I was concerned as we were above the bar and just wanted an early night but this was no problem whatsoever we were not disturbed once. Finally check out was swift and genuine. Staff are a credit to the hospitality industry. I just hope it isn't too busy for us to book next time we are in the area!

"Lovely hotel"
janem-s04, 07 Août 2020

We went to stay at this place at the last minute as we had been let down by a previous hotel booking somewhere else. Claudia on reception went above and beyond to get us a double and a twin ready in just a couple of hours, the rooms were beautiful, spacious and comfortable, would definitely stay there again and a big thank you to Claudia

"SPOT ON"
Carlmartin88, 06 Août 2020

1st ignore the bad reviews this hotel is excellent, 2nd make sure you book here. We stayed in their top floor suite and as soon as we walked in it was as lovely as the photos look. We dealt with Claudia on front desk who went above and beyond to accommodate us and must say the most helpful receptionist we've come across on our travels. The hotel is amazing, clean, warm and very friendly. Breakfast is across the rd at the bold (sister hotel) 20 sec walk no problem. Nice breakfast, excellent fillet steak!! On breakfast served by a young lady called isobel, served always with a smile. So to sum up, a big review but feel it warrants one.. a must if you want to stay in Southport.

"Take ear plugs"
245keithp, 26 Juillet 2020

We checked in very quickly and swiftly(couldn't fault it). We booked room service for our breakfast with hot drinks and then went out for the evening. We came back about 11ish and went to our room, and the music from the Irish bar down stairs was horrible, it was like being sat on bass drum, this finished about 2ish. I knew the hotel was fully booked or else I would of complained. We awaited breakfast in the morning at the time we booked it, and it arrive 20mins late no hot drinks, it was also luke warm. Overall I feel that paying £125 for this was over priced.

"Birthday visit"
kirk222, 26 Juillet 2020

I booked the lord street hotel for 2 nights for my partners birthday on the 24th.. So booked 2 nights 23rd to 25th July a deluxe room with a extra large bed at the price of £268.02 including breakfast.we arrived just before 3pm and booked in. I asked the receptionireceptionist was it a deluxe room with extra large bed. She reply yes.its a lovely room on 1st floor room 109.so we got lift to 1st floor went into room 109 and it was a small room with a normal size bed. I went back to reception and told the lady about the room. She said I only booked a cosy room. She got my details up and I showed her my receipt. She then said sorry and only room was on the 3rd floor room 122 so we went to room 122 lift to 1st floor then walked up to flights of stairs with cases.we entered room it was not a deluxe room again with a normal bed and a small window over looking a roof and old building next door with empty drug canisters in gutter.then we had no toilet roll in bath room or milk and tea bags so had to ring reception.a girl knocked with toilet roll with a plastic spool in the centre so must of come from a machine and milk in a jug and tea bags so that's our 1st hour. So Friday .wait for this you have to go over the road to the Bold hotel for your breakfast and not being funny it was terrible.any after breakfast we went for long walk while cleaner went in room. We got back room about 2ish and the room had not been cleaned and knocked to clean it.now room 122 is a attic room so as a slanted ceiling my partner who is 5ft 2 banged her head twice on the ceiling. We checked on the Saturday went over road for breakfast which was much better. But we will never stay in the bold or Lord street hotels again.

"Lovely hotel - breakfast could be inproved"
Naldo44, 22 Juillet 2020

Stayed for 2 nights with our 2 sons. Room lovely and spotless. Great location. Lovely view over Lord Street. Staff helpful. Breakfast is served in the hotel across the road - The Bold. Took 45 mins from sitting to get a cup of tea. That's a long time!! Place was pretty empty too. When food eventually arrived it was fine. Menu said selection of cakes and pastries. Not so - they had none. Toast and jam - only have marmalade. Small things but annoying as the menu was misleading.

"What a great surprise"
E8993BApaulp, 27 Juin 2020

This hotel exceeded expectations ,to was not ready waited 10 mins got an upgrade ,the place was well presented and really done it for me. Staff were brilliant to say the least and if I go to Southport for a proper leisure visit THIS IS WHERE I WILL BOOK lol

"Lord Street Hotel"
sharondE3414HT, 24 Juin 2020

Extremely surprised how lovely this hotel was from start to finish. On the price of the room and breakfast we wasnt expecting it to be grand and we were quite shocked at just how nice it was.The staff were welcoming and pleasant. The room although small was decorated very stylish and was very clean. I loved the air conditioning and hubby liked that the wifi was free. Breakfast was included and comes from the pub across the road but dont let this put you off. We booked breakfast for 9.30 and it arrived on time, my eggs were a little cold but everything else was pipping hot. It was so big that we couldn't finish it and almost 10 hours later we've still not eaten anything else (definitely salad for tea). My only complaint was there was no black pudding. This was our first time in Southport and we will definitely be returning and most definitely booking in at Lord Street Hotel.

"Amazing 3 days"
Travellinghobo1969, 05 Juin 2020

Well what can I say about our stay, absolutely amazing, from check in to check out. The first room was beautiful, the second room on a upgrade was even better. Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and everything you needed. The bar area was also decorated to a very high standard, although a full selection of drinks not available due to COVID 19, what we did have was very good. Woukd like to thank all members of staff who bent over backwards for us, a special mention to Janet for the upgrade, amazing. Cannot wait until we visit again.
