« Decent location but near Air Force Base (flyovers) »

Decent location but near Air Force Base (flyovers). Lots of parking. Clean and spacious rooms. Decent breakfast but the hot items could use some variety. Cheap Uber to downtown. Near shopping and good pizza.

« Good place convenient and safe »

would book here again. great breakfast and comfortable rooms they were located in great location for restaurants We had a group and they helped us get a good rate and arranged our tours for the city. Helpful front desk great breakfast.

« This hotel worked great for our stay in Savannah! »

We spent the first night at the BW in the historic district but moved due to availability to the BW Central Inn for two additional nights. I thought we would be too far from things but not at all. Getting to Thunderbolt for the cemetery tour, the Tybee Island lighthouse and Tybee Island was very convenient. We took Lyft into Savannah historic district (great driver) and the trolley tour company picked us up at the hotel. The hotel is very clean (everyday morning and evening the parking lot was being swept) and breakfast was good. We also asked for and were able to get early check in. The pool was popular with nice seating and also clean. Would definitely stay here again.

    « Decent hotel »

The room was clean and the staff was quite friendly. Breakfast was good but the breakfast room was a bit small and crowded for the amount of people staying in the hotel. If you go for an early breakfast you're probably fine. We were hoping to go for a swim but since the pool is located between the parking lot and the main road it wasn't as appealing to us as when we looked it up on the website. Fine for a single overnight stay, what you pay is what you get.

« ?Yes, Yes, Yes, Worth It? »

Very clean inside and out. Great friendly staff. Yes, price is higher during the weekend, (most hotels do charge more) planes do fly over, (not all the time) it's not downtown, (it's the price you pay) yet overall it's worth it. It's a very busy BW. However, we were not aware of the shuttle that takes you downtown. There's a Waffle House right on the side. Across the street are TJMax, Marshals and more eateries.

    « Could be Better »

Great Breakfast and only a $13 Uber ride to the River Walk! This hotel was like a motel, whereas, you walk out of your room and are outside. The person who checked us in was not friendly. Other staff members were fine. The room was dark and out-dated and not a bargain in my opinion.

    « Savannah trip »

Great hotel and nice stay! This is not in the historic district by less expensive and a trolley tour bus stops in the hotel parking lot.Very clean and a nice breakfast everyday.WE would stay here again if we came back to Savannah!

    3
    « Good for a travel stop! »

Good price, convenient for access to downtown Savannnah and to 95, clean, breakfast is great, and can park directly outside the room. But it's directly in the path of an Army Airbase so it's LOUD. Would stay again as a stopover location.

    « Ok »

The room itself is pretty good but it was a shame that the hotel had just painted so the smell was over powering. There was only one person on reception who was only just coping. Breakfast was OK and location of hotel was fairly good but a fair drive to the main centre.

    5
« Perfect location to get into historic Savannah »

This location is just about 5 miles from the historic district. The price is very reasonable. It in a very attractive property. The staff was very helpful and the location is on a main road with little road noise. I travel about 8 times a year and this was one of my more enjoyable stays.

« Not a pleasant experience after driving 8 hours »

Didn't get a chance to stay, had a situation @ the front desk with my card. Decided to stay somewhere else. I didn't drive 8 hours to have an issue when i get there!! Still had fun where i stayed. I have to learn the tricks to these hotels!!

    « Good value »

Clean and spacious room. Great value for what we paid. Only complaint is that the bathroom could use a new showerhead. The pressure and temperature were good. Our room was quiet, no early morning wakeups by housekeeping. If you like to sleep past 10am on weekdays, the planes will wake you up.

    « Clean, quiet, convenient »

Would highly recommend for family visit to Savannah. Nice pool with shaded area as well. Clean, well kept grounds. We had a problem with frig and coffee maker and they were replaced. Very responsive management.

« Find Another Hotel. Not BW Quality »

Over the years I have occasionally stayed at Best Western hotels and have been mostly satisfied with the quality for the price paid. As I was planning a drive from New Jersey to Florida with three nightly stops, the first reservation was at a Best Western. While I was making the reservation, I decided to join their Rewards program. So, I made the second and third reservations at Best Westerns. The price for the first two hotels were very good and the hotels turned out to be fine. The price for the third one, the Best Western Central Inn in Savannah, seemed very high since it was more than I was paying for the other two COMBINED but it appeared to be at the same range for other hotels in the area for a Saturday night. I made three serious mistakes when I made this reservation. Number one: I didn't read the reviews. If I had, I would have never considered it, let alone book it. Number two: I didn't realize that they only have double beds and my wife and I try to get at least a queen bed. Number three: While the other hotels let you cancel the same day of the planned stay up to a certain time, this hotel allowed cancellations only up to TWO days prior to the stay. We knew this was not the place for us the moment we arrived. There was no parking available by the office so we drove around the property looking for a spot. We saw several groups of people congregated in front of rooms smoking, drinking what I doubt was water and carrying on loudly. The ?parties? went on until late that night. The building is old. The rooms are mediocre. The breakfast was, at best, forgettable. One bright note. The two ladies who worked the breakfast were very polite. Do yourself a favor and book someplace else. The other hotels in the area looked much, much better, and the reviews seem to confirm it.

    3
« Good property for the price. Very quiet. »

The entire property was booked while we were there. We experienced no problems whatsoever, the property and the rooms were very quiet considering the number of guests. The staff at breakfast were extremely helpful and very warm and considerate of our needs.

    3
« over priced nd under serviced »

In general we expect better quality at Best Western but at this place we were disappointed. Althouh located a few miles out of the historic district of Savannah, the price here was same as for places in town. Breakfast was below standard (one morning there were no eggs). Room was reasonable in size yet with maintenance defects such as leaking faucet, wobbly leg of table, no safety bar in shower, all of course reported to front desk. But as in other businesses which are owned and run by people from India, sevice goes down and price goes up. It happened to us years ago in a motel near San Francisco, more recently, 2015, in a motel in Las Cruces NM and now in Savannah. Apparently one must check ownership before making any reservations in the future...

    5
« Will definitely stay again! »

clean, spacious, rooms. Extremely affordable. The staff was supererb! We were able to catch a shuttle from the motel to the Savannah trolley. We stayed 2 nights. We will definitely stay there again if when back in the area.

    « Surprisingly Nice Stay »

My husband and I stayed for three nights last November as part of our road trip through Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. When we drove up, I was worried that it was going to be a run down motel, but we were pleasantly surprised. The property has been lovingly remodeled, and it all seems new inside. The breakfast was pretty extensive, and the lady handling the food was so very nice and enthusiastic. For example, she was constantly filling up utensils, and she helped me with the waffle maker. The bed was comfy, and the heater worked well. The property is located outside of the historic district, which was not a problem for us, since we had a car. We also visited Fort Polanski one day, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The Kroger's across the street is quite nice for picking up deli meats for lunch. We found a wonderful restaurant nearby called "Sweet Potatoes Kitchen." We ate there two of the three nights. All in all, I was impressed with the property, and would stay there again.

« Quite a few pluses and some minuses »

Pluses: I chose this motel to be close to where I was working for the week, and it was perfect for my budget. Hotel staff were welcoming and housekeeping staff were friendly. I had a king room which was a good size. Liked having a comfy chair and ottoman so I could put my feet up after a long day. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom fine - especially once I figured out how to get the water hot enough (turn to the right). The room was clean and well maintained while I was there. Breakfast is included and it was a great start to the day. There were hot options as well as cereal, bagels, toast and condiments, as well as a range of bakery items. Coffee, tea and juice also available. The ladies made sure it was well stocked and greeted everyone with a smile. Minuses: The vending machines didn't work which was frustrating. The washing machine was out of order. When I put my coins in to buy some washing detergent to do some washing in my room, nothing came out. Front Office staff just shrugged and did not even offer to refund my money. The dryer was not overly efficient so even after paying for two cycles my clothes were still not dry. There are not a lot of dining options in walking distance (unless you like Waffle House which is next door). Most of what is available are at the many malls but they closed early. Closest supermarket was Kroger's and that was a 15min walk. This would have gotten a higher rating from me if I had a car and could drive to get to the facilities I needed. Public transport was pretty hit and miss so uber got a work out! If you are coming to Savannah to sightsee, and can afford it, stay closer to the historic downtown area. If not, it is an okay option for those with their own transport.

    3
« OK place to stay »

On a very busy street which was noisy and during the day planes and helicopters landing on the airfield a block away. We were there to see the sights of Savannah and it took us about 20 minutes to get to the historic area. Overall an ok place to stay.

« Easy booking and helpful front desk. »

Very clean hotel and well worth the money. The location is good and the shuttle was nice to use to get to take the tour. The breakfast was average and what you expect at a free buffet but it was good.

    4
    « Savannah visit »

We stayed two nites here. Rode the shuttle into Savannah to take a tour. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was less satisfactory than other Best Westerns. Very crowded space for such a large hotel and many people. I made reservations several months earlier so we got a great rate compared to the current price.

    5
    « Super clean »

Close to downtown, great value, wonderful staff and clean rooms. Worth not being directly downtown, 4 miles to parking for your shopping, dining and sight seeing. Great service, good breakfast and fast with fi!

« Overpriced for the accommodations »

When we arrived we presented TJ with 200.00 in Best Western gift cards. We expected that a receipt would be given to us for the cards but we were told that thx amount would come off at checkout. This didn't seem like good business since gift cards are cash. In any event we trusted the process only to find out on checkout that the amount was not deducted. When we questioned the person at the desk she could not find the paperwork. It was 6:25 in the morning and we needed to get on the road for our trip home, so we left without resolution to the situation. The attendant promised us that we would receive a call at 7:00 from someone that would be able to resolve the issue. When we didn't get a call we called them. In fact it took several calls by us to be able to speak to the person who could help us. We NEVER got a call from a Hotel representative, poor customer service. It took until around 10:00 to get resolution. The breakfast was poor in comparison to the Best Western in Fort Myers and Key West, Florida. The room was clean on the first day but went downhill on the second and third day. We found a long hair on the bathroom tub and the floor was never cleaned. In addition we never received our 10.00 gift card as advertised. We will be calling the corporate office to report this unacceptable stay.

    « Excellent Hotel »

This was our third year staying here for our vacation. Very clean, well kept up. The beds are comfortable. The owner is on site and very approachable and friendly. In the last three years we have never had an issue with anything. The hotel is near a mall, multiple places to eat and not far from downtown. It is well lit at night. We feel very safe in this area. Can't wait to return next year.

    3
    « Nice Hotel »

Friendly accomandating staff. Nice clean room. Comfortable beds. The only two downsides to our stay was the very overcrowding of the breakfast area and the aircraft coming in to land until just before midnight

    3
    « Nice Hotel »

The hotel was recently updated and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. The lobby staff was friendly and the check in went quickly. We did notice that the room was not swept carefully, especially around some furniture. We also noticed when people in other rooms went outside to smoke, that the smoke smell was quite strong in our room. We had some issues with our room key card not holding its code and we had to have it recoded a couple of times. The breakfast room was very crowded, although that may be because were there Easter weekend.

    « Great stay »

Overall a great stay. Located near a gas station and tons of shopping! About a 15 minute drive from the historic district. Shower wasn't alll that great. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. One of the night the neighbors were loud... I sleep with ear plugs and they still woke me up. I called the office and they handled it immediately. That's great customer service!

    3
    « As expected »

A we have arrived we were greeted by a grumpy receptionist and were given a room that was clearly not cleaned properly. As they gave us another room it was much better. Clean and had the amenities that you expect at this kind of hotel. Breakfast was much better than expected and the staff there was supernice and it really make us feel good. The location of the Inn is a few minutes drive from the historci partof Savannah but it is located close to all kinds of stores and restaurants and it is a good alternative to staying in the ridiciously expensive hotels in the historic part of Savannah.

    4
    « Clean and Nice »

Stayed one night on our way driving up North. Just a 10 minute car ride to be in the Historic District for our evening meal and walk. Not too far off I-95 (about 15 minutes). Friendly staff, includes breakfast starting at 6am, so we could be back on the road at 7 when the sun rises. Clean rooms- would recommend!

    « Nice stay »

Very nice place. Clean, modern rooms. Good daily housekeeping. Grounds look like a park. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Will gladly stay here on my next Savannah trip. Moderate noose from Army.

    « A nice change »

After spending 5 nights in motels which were not being carefully maintained, it was nice to spend a night in a room where everything was clean and worked as expected. The front desk was helpful and courteous, the room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was hot and tasty - and kept well-stocked.

    4
« Nice room and convenient location »

Big room with good facilities. Bus stop on corner to get in to town. Close to a number of restaurants. Nice breakfast including cooked eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy. Nice and helpful staff. On site laundry machines.

    3
    « Just average »

Usually in a Best Western you get a great hotel for what you paid, in this case you get a poor quality hotel. The room size is fine, but the beds where noisy, the ac didn't work well, the carpets looks dirty (I think they where just old), they had some kind lamitated in the bathroom floor that was swollen and the head shower was cheap with really bad rain. Breakfast was fine, but only until 9:00, so was overcrowded every morning. The location was fine, nice neighborhood with easy access to downtown.

    4
    « Nice hotel - good value »

We spent three nights here. The room was a decent size and the bed was very comfortable. We found the hotel to be quiet. The included breakfast was nice, although the breakfast room is not nearly large enough for all the guests. Our only issue was with the pool. It appeared to be open, so we got towels from the office and went to swim. Along came the caretaker telling us that he would not recommend swimming since he had added strong chemicals. We felt the hotel should have locked the gate so people would not go swimming. Had we not talked to the caretaker, we would not have known it was unsafe for swimming. Would we stay here again? Definitely. It was an easy 15 min drive downtown. I saw some people waiting for the city bus at the corner, so that would have been an alternative way to get to the historic area. This place was a very good value.

    5
    « Clean room »

The service was great and staff polite and courteous The room was nice and clean The breakfast was very good lots of variety Close to restaurants and gas stations A bit of a drive from the I-95 though

    5
    « Excellent BW Inn »

We stayed for one night on the way to Charleston. Check in was quick and easy, the room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was very good and well stocked and well maintained by the attendant.

    4
    « Great Price »

We stayed at this property on our way home from Florida. The front desk agent was fabulous! Very friendly and funny! The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was also great. I honestly don't remember the last time I stayed in a motel that you enter from outside :). The breakfast was also good, better than expected when free. The property is a short drive to the historical area. We will definitely stay here again!

    4
« Good value and comfortable »

Clean, comfortable and competitively priced are always a great combination and that's what you'll get here plus extremely fast wifi. The rooms are very clean, the location is perfect for accessing all areas and the staff are both friendly and helpful. One small negative... breakfast. This was not to English taste at all, but the coffee was fresh and hot. And at this price I have nothing to moan about and will certainly return soon.

    4
    « Clean and quiet »

Stayed for one night. Check in was easy and the room was clean and comfortable. Just right for the price! Quiet location with plenty of free parking. Didn't have the hotel breakfast so can't comment. We would stay again, particularly for a quick turnaround.

    « Good for price »

Very clean and nicely located for a cheap rate in the area. Stayed for 5 nights with my fiancé. Uber trip into downtown averaged $10, and the hotel itself is located in a place where there are many restaurants and shopping centers. I was surprised and happy with the cleanliness of the rooms and the attentiveness and service of the staff. The breakfast was OK. The biggest drawback was the jets that flew directly over the motel consistently the entire week. Now this isn't the fault of the hotel, but it would have been nice to know at the time of booking. In one evening 5 went overhead(I didn't hear any at night though, so it doesn't effect ones sleep) - for someone with extreme anxiety this made for a very stressful situation and induced anxiety attacks- making me not want to be at our room at all. A disclaimer at the proximity of these planes at the time of booking would be a good solution to this.

    4
    « Very nice »

This hotel was very clean and maintained. It's not a new hotel and the walls are thin and you can hear a neighbors TV if they are playing it some what loud. The AC was also on the loud side. The property is exceptionally well maintained and staff is wonderful.

    5
    « Clean comfortable rooms »

Visiting Savannah for one night with 6 others. The rooms were clean & comfortable. It was apparent that there had been recent painting of interior & exterior of property. Decent continental breakfast. Didn't realize when making reservation that the motel was located next to Hunter Army Airfield. A jet flew directly over us (Just above the tree line), but Luckily only one jet flew into airfield during our stay.

    4
« reasonable price for overnight »

Only in town 1 night and this was close to our daughter's home. Older motel but rooms are newly renovated. Only downside is AC had bad odor, like room had been closed up and not used for awhile. Quite and clean.

    5
« Great Hotel, clean room extremely friendly staff and reasonably priced »

While visiting Savannah for business and vacation trip, we stopped at this hotel. Right away we noticed how clean the interior was kept and was greeted by Justin fro behind the check-in counter. He was very friendly and we joked around for a short time while he checked our party in. He seemed very well mannered, polite and assisted us right away. The room was extremely clean like it had just been done. The morning continental breakfast had several varieties of food and drink to choose from. This hotel is located right on Eisenhower Blvd. but the traffic isn't to bad to get out the parking lot or to drive back into the hotel. here is also an area where you can pick up the Savannah trolley tour bus. The cost for those tours are $31 each, but if you show your AARP card, their is a $2.00 discount when you pay for the balance of your trip. The hotel collects the first $10.00 before you get on the tour bus. Across their parking lot is a Waffle House and within walking distance is a 1950's style Dinner and a fast food place. Being that the Army has an airfield somewhat close, you probably will hear helicopters and misc. aircraft flying over.

« Great Value Hotel in Savannah »

Wife and I stayed 2 nights. $56 a night a full breakfast...BooYah!! No brainer. Located about 15 minute drive from the historic district where hotels cost $150-300 a night PLUS you have to pay for parking and pay ...another $25-30 per night. Parking is included at the BW Central Inn. No extra charge. Friendly front office check in. Room is basic and very clean. Includes a mini frig, mw, iron & board, along with a KING bed that had a firm mattress. Premises are clean. Only drawback is the hotel is in the flight path of the local Army Airfield where helos and planes land. They are occasional and after dark we did not hear them. Recommend this property to anyone who wants a value place to sleep. Oh forgot, this location is non-smoking.

    « Tamika is great! »

Very clean! Staff is very great staff! Close to downtown and Shopping! Oglethorpe Mall...1/4 mall walk...Savannah Mall about 3 miles great antique shops! Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance! The Diner they across the street is very quaint! My girlfriend and I are in town about every 2 weeks and they always take care of us...totally the best. Tamika rules. We have stayed at a many Hotel and Motel...this tops on our list!!!!!! BEST VALUE for the money and clean!

« Best Western Central, Savannah, GA »

This is a nice, clean, well maintained mid-price hotel. Close enough to the historic district and the river without staying right there at 2 to 3 times the price. Comfortable room, although the mattress needed to be replaced. Good hot breakfast options including oatmeal, waffles with assorted toppings, scrambled eggs and sausage and biscuits and gravy. Their coffee is not the best however. And if you don't want to eat there, ther's a Waffle House right next door. You'll get the occasional landing and takeoff from the air base nearby, but nothing that interrupts sleeping.

    5
« Great Alternative to Historic District »

We stayed 2 nights at the Best Western Central Inn. This is a great location and the hotel is reasonable. You can get to the Historic District quickly and also to other destinations easily, such as Tybee Island. Justin was on duty when we checked in and he was always ready and willing to help, if anything came up. The room was great, bathroom clean. Breakfast was plentiful and had good food selections. Just FYI, no elevator to the second floor, just stairs. We would stay here again.

    5
    « Excellent Stay »

This is one of the nicest Best Westerns we have stayed in. Our room was extremely comfortable and not only clean but pristeen. The bed was very comfortable with nice fresh linens. The bathroom was sparkling clean. The entire hotel is extremely well maintained. Their breakfast was quite good with both hot and cold selections. This place is a bargain for the rate. We will stay here again next time we are in Savannah!

« THE BEST HOTEL IN SAVANNAH »

Everything is new in the room from the mattress to the lights. Do not waste your money, this is the place for comfort, it was quiet, and the staff was amazing. The 'BEST DEAL' is at this location! I was really impressed!

    « Birthday Weekend »

When I call to make my reservation the desk clerk was very nice and friendly. After I arrive to check in they was just as nice and very helpful. All of the desk clerk was nice but Justin was REALLY nice . The room was nice and clean and the Breakfast was good as well. The next time I come back to Savannah I will be staying at this Hotel.

    « Excellent mid-class lodgings »

My first day was a snow day for Savannah. Staff responded well to adverse conditions. Regular breakfast was not available the next morning. Local stores, including the Waffle House next door were closed until midday the second day. The room was comfortable, especially the double bed. The the mini-frig and microwave worked fine. The TV had 48 channels. The only problem with the room was that the bathroom door was poorly huge, it drifted to close even when I wanted it to remain open. There were plenty of well located electrical outlines. The wifi was adequate for my purposes, but I wouldn't describe it as high speed. It was pleasant two night stay.

    5
    « New Years Eve »

The area was very nice. As soon as I turned in the parking lot, I thought it was brand new! Very nice reception area, courteous employee, got us checked in very quickly. Parking was plentiful, and they had employees hand sweeping up small amounts of trash. The room was neat, clean and functional. I know were in the south, so whats a couple of roaches anyway. Great breakfast, and check out was a breeze.

    2
« Not worth the money »

We came here to celebrate a family members birthday and to enjoy Savannah for the New Year's Eve festivities. Room was adequate at first glance. But upon returning home, my friends both have complained about rashes (probably bed bugs). Also, if you like a continental breakfast, you better be an early bird. I set an alarm 2 hours before checkout so I could make sure to catch the breakfast before it ended at 10am. Got to the lobby around 930am and everything had already been put up except for a couple boxes of cereal. Very disappointed, was not work $135.00. Stay in historic district if you can. Better sites, good eats, and close to everything you want to see. Buy in advance if you can.

    4
    « Very good »

We stayed for one night, but the rooms were very clean, the check in very fast, and very cozy place. The breakfast was pretty good too. The crew were very nice . We definitely will come back another time and stay there.

    4
    « Unbelievable Value »

We frequent Best Westerns as they have really ramped up their quality and service in the past few years. The value is beyond exceptional considering the comfort and amenities offered. Complimentary breakfast is always an added bonus.

    3
    « Average stay »

Savannah attractions within 10 mins away, hotel was clean, grounds nice, breakfast area is very crowded. Doors of hotel open to the outside, employees are friendly and helpful. If a full atmosphere of Savannah is desired, try staying closer, price was why I chose this hotel.

    « Christmas 2017 »

We were very satisfied. We stay at this hotel every time we are in Savannah. This location is great and has easy access to the interesting sites of Savannah. Lots of interesting places not downtown. Will stay here again.

    « Pretty Good Stay »

This hotel appears to be recently renovated and is quite clean. We immediately noticed the fresh clean scent when we walked in to the room and everything looked pretty clean. Beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Breakfast was really good and the breakfast area staff was exceptional friendly. Front desk staff not so much hence the 4 star rating. The pool area and outside grounds were well kept and maintained. I would stay here again.

« Excellent stay at Best Western Central Inn »

We recently stayed at the Best Western Central Inn while visiting Savannah and really enjoyed everything about this place. Our room was very clean & comfortable, staff was friendly & accommodating, full breakfast was great and the best part - it was a quick & easy commute to downtown and waterfront. We highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay again when visiting Savannah

    « A Very Good Best Western »

Many Best Westerns are older "Motels" that have been renovated - sometime good, and sometimes, just so-so. This is one of the best examples I've seen - the owners take great pride in making sure everything looks really clean and fresh - inside and outside. Rooms are completely renovated, exterior is clean and sharp looking, lobby & breakfast area are well laid out. Staff is professional and very friendly.

« Most bang for your buck »

For the price, I was not expecting this place to be as nice as it is. The rooms and the property is very clean, fresh full breakfast, comfy beds and a friendly staff. Right near Oglethorpe mall. I couldn't ask for more!

    « Great Place »

For the price, this is a great hotel. It is very well kept and clean. The breakfast is more than you would expect from a BW. Very good selection of food and the staff working the breakfast is very attentive and friendly. The rooms look new and the pool is beautiful with a nice place to eat lunch. The only down side which is beyond the hotels control is that is in the flight path of Hunter Army Air Force base runway. Lots of large military planes flying in low and Helicopters as well. Not really an issue at night but occasional. Near the mall and the base. I will definitely use this place again

    « A terrific find!! »

From the centralized location, to the cleanliness inside the room and around the property to the friendly and attentive staff this hotel was the best choice I have made in Savannah and I will not bother to look elsewhere!! And the bed... so comfy! If only I had tried this before the other 4 hotels. A terrific value that could have cost so much and been worth it.

    « 12 yrs at this motel »

This has been our motel of choice for the past 12 yrs and every year you can seen added care; first impression is of perfect exterior in paint work; driveways great condition; walking up to room, no dirt or debris or butts; clean rooms; beds;pillows first class; thick, white towels;clean pool and chairs around pool in excellent condition; hot and cold breakfast; friendly personnel; and excellent prices.

    « Wouldn't stay here again »

Upon arrival we were greeted by Theron the male receptionist and it was like being inducted into the local state penitentiary ! Boy does he need some customer service training ! We had booked a non-smoking, king size room and were given the keys to room 112. This room is situated on the ground floor in an alleyway between two buildings and has no natural light. At night there are three vending machines approximately five metres from the front door and the motors on these machines kick in and out all night making for a very poor sleep. Also people staying upstairs have to use the stairs near this room and can be heard coming and going into the early hours. It cost a $15 Uber ride into downtown Savannah so not too bad I suppose. The breakfast wasn't too bad and the breakfast staff were polite and helpful. I wouldn't stay here again due to the poor position of the room we were given. If you do stay here make sure you do not get rooms 108,110,112 and 114 !

    « Terrible experience »

I found your hotel in Savannah terrible. The room smelled and the carpeting was dirty. I have stayed in many hotels but I have never e perienced such a disgusting facility. I have no plans to stay at a Best Western again.

    5
« Nice place to stay »

Nice staff. Very friendly. Room is nice. Price is great. Worst experience was the TV remote not working well. That should tell you how nice this place is! Also, conveniently located near a variety of restaurants and shopping.

    1
    « ROACHES! »

Do you like seeing roaches in their natural environment? Turn on the bathroom light at night your dreams will come true! As an added bonus, when you inform the front desk of the insects, you'll get an indifferent shrug as though this is a daily occurrence for them. Don't stay here unless you have no other options, but this place is also overpriced enough that you can afford a nearby hotel that's nicer and cleaner. Fun fact: juvenile roaches are a sign of an ongoing and mature roach infestation, and that's the kind I saw.

    « What a dump! »

Stayed here because of past reviews. I checked reviews again when we arrived because it was such a dump. The room felt dirty and very worn. We left early because we just couldn't stand it anymore. The owner passed me twice and never even acknowledged me. I asked an employee if he was the owner and yes he was. The morning we were leaving, a housekeeper walked into the room while I was getting dressed; no knocking! Gross place. I can't believe it meets Best Western standards. In fact, I'm contacting BW to have them check it out. Never will stay there again. Beware!

    5
« Great value for the money and very clean »

This BW fully updated and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Will stay again. Well worth the little extra drive off the beaten path of I95. It is an older hotel but with the updates, great place to stay. Value excellent.

    4
    « Extended Stay »

Enjoyed our 30 day stay. Service is very good. Rather large selection of breakfast choices. Ladies in breakfast room very attentive and helpful. Maintain good supply of food and keep tables and equipment orderly and clean. Building and grounds are kept in very good maintenance and cleanliness.

    « Bargain in Savannah »

Great value for the money. Spent way more and got much less. Distance from downtown is not a big deal. Staff very friendly and helpful with directions. Property is well kept for an older hotel. We would stay again when traveling thru the area.

    5
« You can drive to downtown easily from here »

When I have to come to town for business, I stay here. I can get a room for less than 1/2 price of downtown and can take an Uber or Lyft or drive downtown and pay to park for the difference in price. Not ever had a problem here. I appreciate having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Can't hear the planes coming in or taking off as one would expect.

    5
    « Very nice! »

Rooms clean and appear recently up dated. Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Location easy to get to. Breakfast was hot and delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

« Comfortable Hotel for the Price »

We selected this hotel based on previous reviews and proximity to downtown Savannah. It was about 15 minutes to the downtown riverfront area. It's in the middle of a pretty busy area with lots of food and shopping options nearby. Front desk did not mention my Best Western Rewards status or offer amenity. Room was immaculate! It was a smoking room that didn't look or smell like one. We spent 2 nights here. Housekeeping staff are great...front desk could be more welcoming.

    5
    « Excellent Motel »

This motel is immaculately clean inside and out. The bed in our room was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was the best we have ever had, so many selections. Staff were refilling coffe and food as soon as they became low. We were so pleased with this motel!

    5
    « Great weekday value »

Breakfast presentation, variety, and equipment was outstanding. Only issue with room was it had a connecting door to the next room which allowed some sound to pass through; and could not tell which was the "locked" position. A TV guide would have been nice - what is on and when. Complimentary newspaper helped for week nights.Thurs night was a bargain at $99 but seemed like price gouging for Fri & Sat (171/night for same room); guess that goes with tourist site on a weekend.

« Best place we have stayed in long time »

My wife and I are retired and do a lot of driving trips. This Best Western was by far the best place we have stayed at a reasonable price in a long time. Great location, large free breakfast, immaculate room and a friendly helpful staff. So nice I asked asked if it was a new hotel. Going to Savannah this is the best place going.....

  • 5
    « What a deal! »

The room was immaculate! Fun motor inn so so clean! Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom floor is heated!! This is a bargain and I am a picky traveler. Was hoping I hadn't made a mistake as we usually choose pricier places but this was great, wish all places were so affordable and well maintained!

    5
    « October stay »

This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in over the past few years. The staff is very nice and helpful, and I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the room....particularly the bathroom (which most travelers would agree can be problematic).

    4
    « Great Value »

Very clean; newly remodeled. Looks like old motel from outside, but very nice inside. Nice lounge with comfortable seating. Good location; close to downtown; 15 min drive. Great value for the money. I would stay here again.

    4
    « Good Value/Very Clean »

Excellent location mid-way between Tybee Island and downtown Savannah. Room was very clean and made up daily. Wanted a 2nd floor room but was told they were not ready despite the fact you could see the entire 2nd floor empty. As with most hotels had guests grouped together in adjacent rooms when lots of rooms were available. I understand this makes it easier for the cleaning crew but a little privacy goes a long way. Avoid rooms on Waffle House side and detaached building. (see below) Overall very satisfied for the price,

    4
    « Good hotel »

We stayed here because it was out of the middle of Savannah about a 10 min drive. It's just a plain hotel the rooms were clean but not fancy, the front desk was very nice and helpful. They don't charge for parking, is right next door to a Waffle House, It does sit next to a military airport or some kind of airport cause planes would fly over and rattle the windows we stayed 3 nights and only heard about 5 of them so not bad. We ubered into town so we didn't have to fight parking. The area of the hotel was okay I would go prancing around at night just use city common sense and your fine.

« sub-par services, disrespectful, not clean. bad breakfast »

checked in last week, was already having a bad day! THERON J is a JERK! Val was really sweet and tried to help me as much as possible. as soon as I came in room, there were roaches by my bed and in bathroom!! i killed 3 of them, tried calling the front desk-NO ANSWER! next morning the eggs were green. constantly ran out of sausage, stay away! youre better off going downtown for more money.

    4
« Very Clean, current remodel »

Enjoyed a 1 night stay while passing through Savannah. Carpet, drywall, paint & furnishings all seemed new. When we first pulled in, I was a little disappointed because it is a motor court style of motel. However, we were delightfully surprised with the quality of the room. Great value!

    4
« Great renovation but not for everyone, be aware »

Hotel was wonderfully renovated and comfortable, not far from Savannah. Any problems corrected quickly and breakfast was good. However be aware this is on the runway for the AIr Base and jets and helicopters will be making A LOT OF NOISE in the afternoon and evening until possibly midnight. If you need a nap or early to bed forget about this place. I do not know how often the garbage is collected but came at 5 AM and very noisy. If you can live with these noises it is a very nice and economical place to stay.

    « Savannah Trip »

All 5 siblings and spouses from the Midwest and Southeast met for a 3 day Savannah get-together. This Best Western was a perfect combination of location, value, and impeccable appearance. Just under 6 miles from downtown old Savannah, and yet near all the modern suburban amenities. All this at a price beaten only by motels in the boonies. This is where we'll stay for all future Savannah trips!

    « Very Nice Accomodations »

Staff was very pleasant and efficient in their interactions with us. The room was clean and well maintained. The facility exterior was inviting with well maintained facilities, grounds and landscaping.

This is a much older hotel that has been completely re-done. Rooms are clean and in a safe area. Shopping near by. Would stay again, not super fancy but everything you need. Beds were pretty good too.

« Excellent Value For Price »

I stayed in this hotel on Aug.20, 2017, so I could travel to South Carolina the next day, to watch the total eclipse. I was on a budget, so I was very happy with my stay. For the price, you can not beat the quality and value: the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the TV was good enough, the A/C was cold if I wanted it to be, the staff was friendly. They had a swimming pool which looked nice; unfortunately, I didn't find the time to swim in it. The location is not too far from downtown Savannah. There are gas stations and "quick-marts" across the street, which were a great convenience to those traveling by car. They had a complementary breakfast served the next morning. I should have gone to breakfast earlier to beat the crowd (the hotel may have been heavily booked). The breakfast was the basics, but still more than good enough. It is just a budget hotel, but I would not hesitate to stay there again if I ever return for a visit to Savannah...which I really want to do someday again.

    « Savannah Vacation »

The hotel itself was well kept and comfortable, but a extremely controlling, unpleasant employee at the front desk colored our outlook on our stay. It was apparent she was very full of herself and her self importance and really didn't care what the guests' experience was!

    4
    « Very nice hotel »

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. For the price, it was very nice. The beds were comfy with lots of pillows. The bathroom was very clean and everything smelled fresh and clean. The staff was helpful and nice. The breakfast was great! I love that there was a microwave, fridge and coffee maker in our room. The only negative thing is, small towels. Those towels in the room are so small. Thankfully, I brought my own towel. I would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Fantastic »

We had a great stay! The room was clean neat and smelled fresh! Can't beat the stay for the price! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the continental breakfast with variety. We had a king bed and found it to be comfortable and had a good night sleep. When ever my wife and I get good friendly service, we always like to leave a little tip for those who treat us well and the breakfast lady and others did just that. Showing a little appreciation helps us all live in a better world!

    « Alternative to downtown »

A very nice place to stay if you don't wish to be downtown, but yet very easy to get there. Clean lobby and great breakfast. Very friendly staff. Did not have a problem hearing a lot of noise from other rooms.

« good value, very clean »

my daughter will be attending SCAD for the next 3 years. We will be staying at this hotel again. my only comp, aint is that the bed was too soft for me. ALL staff was great, breakfast had a lot of good choices and was very tasty. value very good.

« Ok place to explore Savannah »

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel ehile exploring Savannah and Tybee Island. It's not near none of them, but if you have a car, it's a good place to sleep while visiting. Check in quick and efficient. Room was located in the ground floor - clean and big enough. The carpet is in dark colours, as well as the other decoration. Wifi speed very good, noisy A/C (as well as in other hotels we've stayed in), no safety box in the room (annoying). Breakfast was nice, especially the fresh vanilla yoghurt, very tasty. The breakfast ladies were lovely and really funny, especially Phyllis. On the 2nd day when we arrived, our shower courtain had been removed by housekeeping, but they forgot to replace it, so we had to be extra careful not to transform the floor in a pool. Front desk staff wasn't very friendly, they were lacking what I love here in America : feeling the guests welcomed - especially at check out, the lady was less than interested in us. Overall, I recommend the hotel for the price, rooms, the breakfast ladies and for everything being so neat.

    5
    « Great Value »

The service was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Both my friend and I sept very well both nights and I usually don't sleep well in motel rooms. Breakfast was great and served till 10am. Try to get a front facing room if possible for the best view but I am sure all rooms are good.

« Great stay in Savannah »

Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Central Inn in Savannah. The beds were very comfortable, the staff friendly and the breakfast was superb. Real scrambled eggs, homemade sausage gravy, buttery biscuits, and good coffee. Close to shopping for last minute items for my student being moved into college. Not the safest area after dark however.

    5
« Great Location and Price »

The hotel is nicely located just 8 minutes from the Historic District. It is also close to many shopping opportunities, etc. in the uptown area of Savannah. Traffic around the hotel is light. The room was very clean and well suited for my 2 night stay. The staff was friendly!

    5
    « Excellent experience. »

We were in Savannah several days for my daughter's wedding. The staff, especially the breakfast people, were outstanding. They answered questions and bent over backwards to accommodate my requests. I felt very welcome every day we stayed in the motel.

    4
« Clean, reasonable price with free parking »

I had the choice to pick between a more expensive hotel in the historic district and paying for parking vs the best western central inn which had reasonable rates and free parking. I was happy with my decision because even with parking it was much cheaper overall. Although the one thing that I must say is because this was a 15 min drive to the historic district, we were too exhausted to return for any activity once we were back to the hotel. So we skipped the fireworks that was scheduled at 9:15 PM- happens the 1st Friday of every month.

    5
« Value in the city »

There are three BWs in this immediate area. This is the best value in all areas. Staff in alert and helpful. We were offered tickets for the city tour that saved us many dollars. Service in the Breakfast area was beyond expectation the food is great. Thanks for a very enjoyable visit..

    4
    « Very good stay »

Second time staying here. Nice, but not quite as good as last time. Very comfy bed, and clean room. Many good restaurants and shopping nearby. Only about 20 minutes to Tybee Island and 10 minutes to the River St. area.

    5
« Best Western at Eisenhower Blvd »

Very nice hotel, inside and out. Clean rooms. Slept comfortable and it was very quiet during our stay. Happy to have had a fridge and wifi. My only issue was the reception desk. Just two receptionists who had no people skills and one sounded as if she was eating when I called to ask a question. Smile people, it goes a long way. The most friendliest were the ladies at the breakfast bar. Awesome ladies!

    2
« Clean, good value when we booked »

The hotel is set up like a motel with exterior-access rooms (not from within a hallway of a building). Positives: Updated bathrooms, very clean, friendly staff, well-stocked breakfast, accessible location. Cons: Breakfast was ok, a/c unit was old, there are no adjoining rooms (accessible from within). We were a family that had to be split into two rooms and this was one reason we actually booked this hotel. (I did call the front desk to confirm before booking). When we were checking in we were told by the staff that we had been misinformed. There are a few rooms with the interior doors but they have been disabled/locked up permanently. I know because I had one of them. We got a good value on the rooms and overall our experience was positive and I'd recommend it to others.

    4
« Neat and well laid out hotel »

Stayed for 3 nights when visiting Savannah. Approx 15 mins drive to town . Smart and modern motel with good pool and wifi . Ok Only downside was the breakfast area is small and therefore difficult when busy.

    4
    « Very Clean »

We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the rooms were! Very friendly staff, Nice pool as well. The breakfast had a good selection but only runs until 9am, with three kids it was a rush to get everyone ready and down there so early. When we arrived with 20 mins to spare we found things were not being replenished (milk and bread in particular)

    « Last resort. »

If this is your last option then go for it, but if you can find something else then I'll advise you do so. I got in late so I didn't have much of a choice and I figure since the BW in north Carolina was decent then I'll give this one a shot but I was wrong smh..

    5
    « Extended Trip »

At last minute we decided to extend our trip back to FL to visit Savannah GA, we chose BW and, as usual, were happy with our accommodations, value and staff. The free trolley to historic Savannah was an additional plus.

    4
    « Pretty good »

The rooms where very clean, beds where comfortable, location is pretty good close to a lot of restaurants and gas stations, about 45 minutes from tybee island and the beach, a little pricey for my taste, but overall really good.

    4
« Great value for our money »

We spent 2 nights in Savannah staying at the Best Western Central. The hotel was older but so clean and had very comfortable beds, new carpets and flooring. It is right across the street from an air force base but the noise did not bother us. It was close to the city for touring.

    1
« Never again this location »

Error in billing. On line rate was less than we were charged. It was fixed at check out. We're given smoking room. When I questioned the room type assignment was told all on line bookings get smoking rooms. We were checked in and given room keys to a different room. We were awoken at 5 am by someone trying to enter our room. It was showing vacant in Best Western inventory system. Very scary experience. Nothing was offered in the way of compensation for our poor quality stay.

    4
    « Lovely Overnight Stay »

We were looking for a reasonably priced room in Savannah for a quick overnight stay while traveling north. I didn't expect much for the price, but chose Best Western Central based on its high TripAdvisor rating. Check in was friendly and efficient. The lobby area is pretty, with an office nook in one corner and a desktop computer for guests. The buildings look newly renovated. The parking area is huge, with plentiful parking close to your room. The lot is newly paved and painted, and the grounds are nicely landscaped. An outdoor pool looked inviting, but we didn't have time to utilize it. This Best Western is a motel, not a hotel. All rooms face outside. We didn't hear much traffic noise, despite being three only doors away from Eisenhower Drive. The air conditioning unit drowns out street noise. (The AC worked really well on a very hot night.) There is no elevator to second story rooms. Request a first floor room if you can't climb stairs. We had a non-smoking king room, spacious and very well furnished. Hubby liked the easy chair and ottoman. I was comfy computing at the large desk. The free wi-fi worked well, and we found plenty of electrical outlets for charging laptops, phones, etc. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our room had lots of lamps, a large 3-drawer dresser, two night stands, good size flat screen with a few dozen channels AND a clean remote - a very nice feature. We had a microwave, mini-refridge and a wooden luggage bench. Amenities included black out curtains, an iron and board, coffee maker, ice bucket, hangers, hair dryer, desk phone, radio alarm clock, hangers, laundry bags, two mirrors, and a much appreciated night light in the vanity area. Every hotel should have a night light in every guest room so people aren't tripping around in the dark if they get up in the middle of the night. The bathroom had a shower and full size tub. We liked the sink and vanity separate from the toilet/shower room. The vanity had lots of counter space for personal care items. The inn provides only bar soap and conditioning shampoo, but we bring our own organic toiletries when traveling so what the hotel supplies isn't relevant. Towels were a little on the skimpy side, smallish and not very thick, but they sufficed. The only items lacking were a full-length mirror, safe, and a recycle bin. The room was spotless clean, top to bottom, and looked like it had been mostly renovated - new paint, new wood-look floors, newer carpet. Check in is 3:00 pm, and check out is 11:00 am. Complimentary breakfast is included, but we can't get up in time for hotel breakfasts. The location is somewhat inconvenient, about five miles from the historic district and nowhere near interstate highway access. But based on the quality for the price, I'd stay here again if I was visiting Savannah.

    « Average »

Renovations needed ; old HVAC causes allergies; mold and mildew in the atmosphere AC unit extremely loud, causes poor quality of sleep. Breakfast was okay. Nice , helpful staff on site ; price was 107; for the quality of hotel it was worth 50 pr 60 dollars

« Best hotel in Savannah if you consider the price »

I was really surprised to see the amenities available in my room. I didn't expect much since the rent was around $75, but here I found almost everything of a 3/4 * hotel. The hotel is nice, clean and quiet. The location is very convenient, lots of good restaurants in walking distance. If you have budget like me don't think twice. I normally don't write review unless I am super satisfied. But I would highly recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Good Stay »

Hotel was clean!!!! That is the most important aspect I look when I stay at a hotel. Hotel is clean for the price. Breakfast was ok, we needed gluten free items, but that is not their fault. It gets full during the morning.

« Decent Hotel, A Way Out of Central Savannah »

We stayed for one night at this hotel while visiting downtown Savannah. The hotel is located near a busy road, with parking in front of the rooms. We had a room on the upper level, and there were no lifts, so be prepared to carry your cases up the steps. The hotel is close to Oglethorpe mall, which was within walking distance. Hunter Army Air Field is also close by. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK.

    « Comfy, clean, quiet »

GOOD: Our room was large and had a nice clean carpet and wood floor panels. The bathroom was spotless. There was a nice table to work at with 2 chairs. The beds were very comfortable and the location was quiet and in a decent part of town, close to a lot of stores and the downtown. The toilet used less water than usual which I find to be a good thing. There were pretty lamps that all worked, and 2 mirrors. Also the room featured a large fridge and a microwave. The Wifi was exceptionally strong and fast. The breakfast was very good with a large assortment of cereal, waffles, fresh yoghurt, pastries and more. There was also a very attentive woman watching over the buffet, helping and cleaning the whole time. In the morning, we noticed our blowdryer didn't work, but when we called about it they sent someone to exchange it within less than 5 minutes. The whole team was very helpful and friendly. The only bad thing I would have to comment on was the fact that the television, though being able to accept external devices, did not have a remote which enabled us to use this function. So we had to watch our media on our laptop instead of the screen.

« A nice stay in Savannah, centrally located »

My wife and I stayed at the BW Central Inn 8/6-11 during our vacation in Savannah and overall, we enjoyed our time there. The midtown location is central to downtown and near I-16/516 and the Truman Pkwy (which will make your trip over to Tybee much easier). Note: this hotel is right next to Hunter AAF. Large military planes and helicopters fly over during the day and evenings. They did not wake us up, however. Our bed was very comfortable, the room is a good size, and has fridge and microwave. Desk and recliner also. Staff, with one exception (at check in), was very friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast room staff. (Note, though, that during the week breakfast will begin to be taken down at 9 rather at 10 on the weekends--we had to go out several mornings). Grounds were well maintained, but I do have to note that every time it rained (which was every day), there was standing water in the parking lot, especially near the sidewalk. Staff also failed to get rid of a fire ant mound which was around all week on the sidewalk near our door. Also, the shrubbery near the entrances need to be cut back as it was difficult to see around them when getting onto Eisenhower Dr. Overall, though, BW Central Inn is a good value for the money. I would consider returning the next time we visit Savannah.

    3
    « Good economy hotel »

Clean, basic room, though the beds were too soft for us. Room on the small size. Service was excellent, but we had to be up and dressed early to get breakfast (we like to sleep in). Breakfast lacked much fruit but was great on waffles. Coffee so-so. Satisfactory overall, and good value for the price.

    4
    « Stop over. »

Hotel was very clean with comfortable beds for a great nights rest. Staff are very nice -- great hospitality as they greet you going to and from breakfast. Good rate with Expedia. Close To airport but I didn't hear any planes.

« Remodeled, well kept, very reasonable, and super close to everything »

We spent three nights at the Best Western Central Inn in Savannah, and had a great stay throughout. Our rooms were on the ground level, clean, and well kept. A couple of things that really impressed us: the variety of offerings they had for their FREE breakfast (waffles, oatmeal, fresh yogurt, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, cereal, coffee, etc.), the number of staff members there working on the grounds, cleaning, laundering, etc., and the friendliness of the staff (the ladies that take care of breakfast we're very sweet and friendly). There were many employees there cleaning, repairing, and making sure that the grounds and rooms were up to par. I had read some of the negative airport reviews, etc. and I was really paying attention to it. That said, yes there is an Air Force base right there; HOWEVER, I never heard a single plane take off after 10 and nothing super early (before 9 am), so I am not sure what there is to complain about. My 9 year old son loved seeing the old bombers that were flying practice rounds, etc. so it was definitely not a negative in our book. This location is PERFECT if you want to save some money and still be fairly close to everything without being downtown as it's 10-15 minutes from downtown. I can't wait to get back to Savannah, and I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

« CLEANEST PARKING LOT I'VE EVER SEEN!! »

The house and grounds people really take pride in their jobs! This hotel is exceptionally clean! I saw a groundskeeper literally sweeping the parking lot! The parking lot is the cleanest I've ever seen. The rooms are equally as clean! There are a couple downfalls though. I read reviews about the front desk receptionist. Don't expect a big smile and an exceptional welcome. Maybe demote receptionist and replace with any other employee there because EVERYONE else was super friendly and nice. We got into our room and realized that it was a connected room. We should asked to switch because for the next 5 days we heard people trying to get into our room. Very nerve racking. The bed was not the most comfortable, however the room was very clean. The tv was crap. Thinking about bringing your Xbox or PS or even DVD player? Forget about it! The TV's won't change inputs. Hotel staff told us that corporate had the TV's locked. So we were stuck with 5 days of crappy cable tv. The pool was refreshing after walking Savannah all day. Super clean but crowded at times. Breakfast was good. Got boring after a while so we just walked to Waffle House for more variety. Overall, for the price and cleanliness, we would stay again.

« Comfortable room BUT you can smell cigarette smoke! »

If they moved the "smoking" rooms to one separate building, I would give a stronger recommendation. I was in a non smoking room but could smell the cigarette smell coming through the vents from the room below me. I hate cigarette smoke AND I am pregnant so this disgusts me and I wanted to check out ASAP. This Best Western had two or three different buildings, why don't they move the rooms for smokers to ONE building so that non smokers don't have to breathe in the second hand smoke? It would be nice to have more fruit available at breakfast besides two fruits...maybe add bananas. One more thing, when I checked in, the employee not only wrote down my room number but also said it out loud when there was also another person in the lobby. Why say it out loud? This is dangerous if you have someone in the lobby who has bad intentions! Good location and bed was ok. Air conditioning was set to the lowest temperature but still didn't really get cold. I would not stay here again unless there was a separate building for smokers only.

    « decent hotel »

We spent 3 nights in this hotel and enjoyed it. We did have a few incidents that were less than perfect, *Each member of my family of 4 has thick hair - the females both have long hair. Upon arriving in our room, we found 1 tiny bottle of shampoo/conditioner combined. I went back down to the front desk and requested more, the clerk did not seem to want to give it to me, but did give me 2 more tiny bottles. *During our 3 night stay, my electronic key stopped working - TWICE. They did get it repaired quickly, but it meant me making the considerable walk to the office. One of these times, the (same) clerk asked me for my name, address, phone, check in and out dates before he would re-code the card. *The toilet stopped up - it took several hours before someone came to un-stop. Overall, the hotel was nice and affordable. The ladies that served breakfast were SUBERB!!! Very friendly and efficient. My only real complaint was that they seemed to protective of the toiletries they supply.

    « Yuk »

Room was not clean, very shady guest (thugs). The staff was great, breakfast decent, price fair. Unfortunately, the carpet was horrid, furnishings low quality, rusty electrical outlets, dead bugs in breezeway...

« Very Good Value -- nice breakfast »

Hotel rate was great, and the room nice, renovated. However, the hotel was full and by the time we got to the breakfast room around 8:30, it was so packed, with lines back into the lobby, that we couldn't properly enjoy the very nice breakfast they had. Maybe extending from 9 to 9:30 am might help. The beds were comfortable but a bit too soft for my back.

« Good hotel, good location »

Clean hotel, good breakfast even though the breakfast room is small. Clean salt water pool. Great location near mall and restaurants. Easy 5 minute drive to historic section. Will stay again if in area.

    « Great hotel! »

We stayed at the Best Western during our family vacation. We had a hard time deciding on a hotel based off of others reviews! But we were very pleased during our stay! The kids enjoyed the pool & we enjoyed the shaded area around the pool since we have an infant! Rooms were clean & we had everything we needed! Definitely would stay again!

« Savannah Best Western on Eisenhower Dr »

I was extremely pleased with my 5 day stay at this best western. I was most impressed with the cleanliness of my room and the services provided by the staff. The location was close to my family and the price was very competitive which helps when you are on a fixed income. The breakfast had a wide variety of items and was fresh and the cooked items were hot.

    « Good hotel »

Perfect hotel for a stop-over in Savannah. Not too far away from downtown. The swimming pool is rather small compared to other BestWesterns we've been in, so we did not try it. Instead we visited the town (nice houses) and Fort Jackson.

    « Unfortunate location »

While greeted by friendly desk clerks on arrival my friend, who finds it hard to sleep in a noisy environment, asked for a quiet room. The response was that all the rooms are quiet and on reflection this was a hilarious response as we had no sooner checked into our rooms than we realised we were in very close proximity to an airbase. We literally thought the helicopters were landing outside our rooms and although this has nothing to do with the hotel as obviously they have no control over it, the noise went on for a few hours constantly. Luckily we were only checked in for one night but did eventually get a good night's sleep as the room was decent enough and the bed comfortable. We have to take so.e responsibility for our choice as we should have researched the area better but obviously the hotel isn't going to advertise the location as such. It was for this reason that we gave it 3 and also it was a more basic hotel than other best westerns we stay in. Also at breakfast the lady in charge wasn't intending on letting anyone stay after the allocated time as she announced we had 10 mins left to eat breakfast. Really felt as if we were being rushed out. For the money there's nothing wrong with it if you don't mind the very noisy location and pushy breakfast lady.

    3
    « It wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible. »

Hotel was nice enough for the price. The room smelt like burnt popcorn and the key card reader on the door wasn't functioning properly so it took 5 minutes to get in the room every time. The pool was incredibly small and over packed. The breakfast was no different, no where to sit and the line was out the door. However it was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

    4
    « More than discreet... »

Great location, well laid out. Well-designed services. Not very large breakfast service. Although near the airport, you do not feel the influence. Staff helpful but not very polite. Quality price, more than good. Recommended.

« Best Western Central in Savannah, Ga. »

very clean, friendly staff and fairly close to the historic district and close to a mall. pool was clean and well kept. breakfast was true southern meal and despite the fact that they were full, it was a quiet place to be able to sleep and rest.

« Great Place to stay in Savannah »

We stayed 3 days in Best Western Central Inn and enjoyed it. Services are great. Complimentary Deluxe Continental Breakfast. Free High speed internet. Outdoor pool. 5 miles from Downtown Savannah, Historic River Street, Historic Savannah and Civic Center. Next to 2 big Malls, buffets and restaurants. Shuttle bus picks guest from hotel and provides rides to Old Savannah tours Center. 14 miles from Tybee Island.

    « Great stay »

We stayed for 3 nights while visiting Savannah. Very comfortable room, great size, comfy beds, cleaned daily. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is simple but has a good variety. There is a pool (which we didn't use). The only negative from our stay is that we had to come back to reception to fix the room keys; apparently they get de-magnetized very easily if kept in proximity to phones, credit cards etc. Historic District is only about 15 mins away by car. If you purchased a tour with Old Savannah Tours, they have a shuttle that stops at several hotels collecting tourists and taking them to the Savannah Visitor Center; very convenient.

« Friendly staff and an excellent place to stay in Savannah »

Our room was always clean. They have a full breakfast wtih eggs, biscuits, cereal, etc. Staff would let us know neat things to do and see in Savannah during breakfast. Pool was well maintained and very clean. Lounge chairs and covered portico were there if you wanted to have lunch by the pool. Vending machines and laundry facilities (full size washer and dryer) are just outside the lobby. On one of Savannah's main roads, which makes getting around very easy. It was about 15-20 minutes to Tybee Island.

« Ideal for visiting Savannah. »

Good hotel in the motel style ( car parked outside your door). Convenient location for restaurants. Rooms pleasant although A/C was quite noisy. Plentiful breakfast which was replenished regularly. Staff at desk helpful - we booked a trolley tour here and the bus picked us up at the hotel. Didn't use the pool as it was very busy.

    5
    « Savannah trip »

Excellent staff, clean and spacious room, great breakfast, nice pool area although we didn't use it, others were having fun. Didn't hear any airport noise, drove into savannah and used public car park, would stay here again certainly

« Pretty hotel, but dirty room. »

The room smelled fine, but there were cleanliness issues. I ran a successful house cleaning business for several years before changing gears, so I notice things. The mirrors were streaky, the toilet seat hinges had urine around them, the bathroom door was dirty, the bathroom baseboard was covered in lint, and the microwave didn't look wiped clean. Because of all this I wasn't sure if germ killers were used to clean the room, which caused me anxiety. The room just didn't feel clean. I wished I had supplies to do it myself. The beds were ok in comfort, but because the room wasn't clean I wondered how clean the bedding was. The breakfast was decent. The lady on duty was very sweet. Customer service at the front desk was pleasant as well.

    5
« Very clean & comfortable, short drive from downtown »

My wife and I stayed 5 nights, the room was very clean and comfortable. Very nicely maintained, excellent service and fresh towels in the evening so they run this in properly! Staff was fantastic; very polite and professional! Cannot wait to return, first trip to Savannah and they won us over!

    5
    « Stop over »

This was just a one night stop over on the way home from Florida. It was very clean and well kept. The room was clean and very nice. The landscaping and the pool area were great. The breakfast was well stocked with a variety of options. It was our first visit in the Savannah area and we will be making a return trip and staying at the Best Western

    « Quick stay »

This hotel is good for a quick stay, maybe driving north or south, its outside entrances, and was very crowded when we stayed. The rooms are nice and clean. The AC was not running when we got there the room was very hot.

    5
« Excellent location, very clean & comfortable »

The rooms were much nicer inside than I expected from the view outside. It is in a really great location. Only took us about 10-15 minutes before we were right on River Street. Tons of shopping centers all around the hotel. Nice pool, full breakfast. Very clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Good shower pressure. Overall, very satisfied and will be back.

    5
    « Very nice motel »

We stayed two nights during the week. Room was clean and comfortable. The owners and staff of this hotel obviously do well in keeping the appearance up at this motel. We took a chance on it based on reviews her on Trip Advisor and were very pleased with our stay. Check in and out was very smooth and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Great hotel »

Loved the hotel and the staff. Highly recommend! I was very happy with the cleaness of the rooms, lobby and grounds. If ever in Savahanna, will definitely stay at this hotel again. Only a few minute drive to the sights.

« Best Western Central Inn, Savannah, Georgia »

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a free day from my points, which we used for one day and checked back in for the second day which we paid for. Everything went smoothly. We enjoyed our stay very much.

    « Pleasant Stay »

This hotel has been updated and is located not far from all the sights of Savannah. The room was well appointed and the breakfast was great. Breakfast room staff was friendly and efficient. We had a good rate for our three night stay.

    3
    « Not a pleasant place - borderline unpleasant »

The receptionist was curt and unsmiling. A cold reception. The room was TINY - we had to stack our two suitcases to make enough place to get to the bathroom. Very poorly appointed. There was mold on the tub surround. The beds were reasonably comfortable and clean. The place was noisy since cars were parked outside the door and people were coming in at all hours. The air conditioner shut off after a couple of hours and had to be restarted twice during the night. Breakfast was fairly standard. I would rate it perhaps a shade over Motel 6.

    4
    « Clean and updated »

Technically a motel, but very clean and nice updates. The only complaints would be that the mattresses were really sagging and worn and the rooms were small. The continental breakfast was mediocre but we really enjoyed the lady working there sharing very interesting information about Savannah. We have family in Savannah and visit frequently. We will definitely be staying at this property again.

    5
    « Very clean »

Very clean. Staff very nice. Loved the room. Very large. Would definitely stay here again. Close enough to downtown without being expensive. Nice breakfast. Close to lots of stores. Felt very safe. No noise.

    « Average stay... »

So we stopped by Savannah on our road trip from Miami to DC. We originally expected just the basics but after our amazing staying at Best Western Historical Inn in St. Augustine, the expectations became higher. The lady who checked us in at the front desk was not very friendly - not rude but it was just a very cold first impression. Not expected in a city known for their southern hospitality. I had a gift card which she didn't apply to our account right away, she just left it at the front desk and I had to follow up when we checked out. The room was okay, clean but not enough bathroom amenities - only a bottle of shampoo and 2 soaps. I know I shouldn't expect a lot but they should still provide the basics. The Indian housekeeper was very nice though - he always greeted us when we meet him in the hallways. Breakfast was good and although it was outside downtown Savannah, it was very accessible. Overall, might stay again but wouldn't be my first choice.

« Nice place to stay »

Stayed over Memorial Day weekend. The front desk clerk that checked us in was very rude. We had 5 rooms booked. The first night, the a/c in one of the rooms did not work. We reported it to the front desk the next morning. Apparently, the desk clerk didn't bother to tell anyone. We went back to the front desk in the evening, because it was still not working. We were told that they were not made aware of the problem. The clerk said that maintenance had already gone home, but she would try to call them. I guess they came back, because when we returned later that evening there was a brand new a/c unit in the room. Other than those issues, it was a good place to stay. Very clean. Breakfast was good. The women that took care of breakfast were great! Very friendly and never let anything run out, which was good because it was very busy. Other than the man at the front desk that 1st night, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

    « Short Vacation »

We were staying at a different Hotel in this area the first night. The Hotel had ants crawling about and some mold in the bathroom. We usually stay at BW Hotels, but friends talk us into stay at a different place. Never again. After the first night I cancelled and call BW. The BW was only two blocks from that other chain. Our arrangements with BW were prompt and gave us a room on the first floor as we needed because my wife has a difficult time climbing stairs. Room was excellent and outside appearance is fabulous.

« Thank you for the great night »

Everything in the hotel was great. The room was very spacious, clean, everything working except the internet, but I was to tire that I didn't care much about it. The staff at the reception wasn't very polite and informative as well. The breakfast juice was water down.

    4
« Fine for a short stay in Savannah »

Location suited us being an easy drive into downtown Savannah. Reception was quick but lady on the desk was a little remote and abrupt. Room was standard motel , a bit small but clean with free wifi and free parking. Breakfast was good but a little limited. The 2 ladies serving in the breakfast area were happy, jolly, friendly, and a joy to see each morning. If you drive into old Savannah just go down Abercorn all the way..note that parking meters are free on weekends.

    « Great stay »

For the most part was a great stay, most staff were great except the night service person. Breakfast was good, nice selection. Convenient location close to many restaurants and shopping. Downtown was easy to get to.

« Nice location - near highway - quick access to downtown »

Got an decent offer when searching for a hotel in Savannah to stay for a couple of days. Nice service. Good parking. Clean bathroom and beds. Good access roads to go to downtown or out of city. Will come back.

« Reasonably priced and remodeled »

We've been staying here regularly when we visit Savannah with the kids. It's close enough to the Historical district but 1/3 the cost. Rooms are well kept and the have a full breakfast included. Only draw back is the noise from the military base.

    « Long Weekend Trip »

I came to Savannah for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday with a couple of friends. After researching the hotels in Savannah, I'm glad I picked the Best Western. The hotel is very clean and comes with basic amenities. The staff at the front desk weren't particularly friendly, but the woman who assists with breakfast was outstanding. Other reviews have mentioned hearing airplanes, but I only heard it once during the stay- and yes it is loud. The hotel is a short Uber ride away from the downtown area. We arrived to breakfast at 9:30 am and by that time a lot of the food was already gone due to the fact that they were closing soon. There was still plenty to choose from like toast, waffles, yogurt, eggs, sausage, muffins, and pastries. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone making a quick getaway to Savannah.

    « Savannah trip »

Unfriendly staff, dark rooms, no desk, thin walls.....need I say more. We were supposed to stay a night on our way back home, but cancelled and found a much better hotel for slightly more. $130 for a Saturday night was ridiculous!

« Trip advisor charged me more than the hotel would have »

I was definitely not happy with this trip it was extremely stressful once I got there I found out that the motel was actually cheaper than what shirt TripAdvisor had charged me. The motel was fairly decent, our room was horrible, the shower curtain was fallen off the wall, there were roaches on walls, the comforters were nasty and smelled. Again wi was overcharged using this site I will never use trip advisor or recommend to anyone else. I would expect to receive at least half of the money I paid to you, but I'm sure that won't happen. Again I won't use you again and stop sending me emails to use you again , unless you plan to make this right

    4
« Great for the price »

Second night here and no complaints. This is not a downtown 5 star hotel but for the price it's great. Rooms are quiet, clean, seem fairly updated. Easy to get anywhere we've wanted to go so far in Savannah. Check in was very quick and efficient.

    5
« Truly surpassed my expectations on many levels »

I came to Savannah for a business day trip and decided to stay at the Best Western Central Inn. I'm so glad I did. It's a clean property, inside and out. The room was very clean. It had a large flat screen TV, a microwave, and a mini fridge. The bed and pillows sleep great and my sheets were CLEAN. LET ME REPEAT, MY SHEETS WERE CLEAN AND CRISP and I simply love the smell of clean, crisp sheets. The continental breakfast was better than some of your five star hotels where you have to pay for breakfast. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. And the price was reasonable which is always a PLUS. Next time I'm in the Savannah area, business or pleasure, there is no doubt that I will be returning to the Best Western Central Inn.

    « Cockroaches! »

The area was definitely seedy. Gas station across the street had bullet-proof glass and barred windows. We arrived at the motel, walked in, and immediately started killing roaches. After killing about a dozen in three minutes, we called the front desk. While on the phone with them, we killed two small bugs crawling across the headboard of the bed. Gross! We asked for a refund and they were totally fine with it. Found somewhere else to stay for the night.

    « Short and Sweet »

My boyfriend and I visited Savannah on a last minute birthday trip for me. It was fully booked everywhere until I saw this hotel. When we arrived it was very clean and pleasant looking. Our room was nice and clean. It had all the essentials. After a night out on the town and touring all the historic sites, we came back and crashed for the night. The next morning we went in the lobby area to check out breakfast. Much to our surprise it was a full on breakfast feast! Sausage, eggs, cereal, coffee, juices, waffles, yogurt, fruit, the whole shibang. Very friendly hostess who welcomed everyone. We left out heavily satisfied and ready for our 2nd day of FUN. When we returned, our bed was made and room freshened up w/more towels. What a nice short and sweet time we had in savannah. We would definitely stay here again. Reasonable prices and FYI, there's a waffle house just steps away.

« Nice stay in Savannah »

The location, as long as you have a car, is fine. The drive into town is only a few minutes, and in the immediate area there are plenty of shops, fast food, restaurants, a gas station and a CVS. The lady at check in wasn't "rude" exactly, but making eye contact with your guests - or even looking up when you greet them - goes a long way. The rooms are nice enough, large, and with a big king bed that is very soft to sleep on. The breakfast is complimentary and quite good - toast, pastries, scrambled eggs, sausages, bagels, juice, coffee - and the staff here, unlike front reception (on the day we checked in only), are welcoming and courteous. Check out was quick and friendly.

    5
« cheap, very clean, safe »

This is a motel. I can't remember the last time I stayed in a motel but weekend prices in savannah are too high. Anyway, this is a high end motel--as far as motels go. The Excellent: bed linens are excellent, soft, new, clean, high thread count; the owners seem to be on site and working, which i really respect. I saw whom I assume to be the owner cleaning up leaves in the parking lot at 6 am, hot water plentiful with fine water pressure. The Good: the mattresses were fine (no sagging), pillows themselves seem clearly washed (and a little lumpy, but I'll take lumpy knowing they are frequently washed), parking is plentiful and free, its a 15 minute straight shot into town by car, locks on doors seemed new. The Meh: it faces a car dealership, next door is a military airfield, its in the middle of strip mall america, there is no pretensions toward attractiveness.

    5
    « Value »

Value is the key word that comes to mind with this motel. Everything from ease of check-in, cleanliness of the entire facility, quality of the breakfast, friendliness of the staff,.... all amount to a fine experience for our stay and a desire to return when we next visit Savannah.

    5
    « Comfortable place »

We decided to stay here, and not in the very popular historic district because parking is onsite and included for no added cost in your stay, and there is a bus stop at this hotel that takes you to the historic district, where we parking is almost impossible. Although the bus ride does take awhile (30 minutes +) as it stops at numerous area hotels, it worked well to connect to the trolley tour and historic area. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with an excellent breakfast included.

    5
    « Anniversary Trip! »

Booked 2 nights at this hotel so we could be close to Downtown and Tybee Island. Rooms are nice and clean. Walls are thin so be prepared to hear noise from the room beside you. If air unit is running you can't hear anything. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again next time we come back.

    3
    « Good Value »

The location was perfect for a 2 day trip to Savannah. Easy drive into the historic district, close to shopping of all varieties, and the room was all you need when you are going to be out and about all day. I have 2 complaints. The first is that they were working on the water heaters and didn't tell us. One morning I was in the shower and the water kept getting increasingly hotter. It was frankly scary. When I reported it to the front desk, the clerk was apologetic and explained about the water heater repairs. I'm sure this won't happen to others, but the motel should really take note about communicating repairs that could affect the guests during their stay. The second complaint is that the breakfast wasn't very good. We got there with an hour left in the breakfast and the eggs were out and the options were limited beyond that. They didn't rush to refill the eggs either. Breakfast is so easy and inexpensive. There are lots of great cafes in Savannah, so don't waste your time on the motel's free breakfast.

    « The Best »

This facility has been on my "always stay" Best Western in Savannah. The facility is so clean you could eat off the paving around the property. Rooms are superb, staff is excellent and the appearance of this facility looks as if it was built a year ago. And the facility is many, many years old. The building might be older than it looks but there is nothing old in this hotel. The owner/operator never quits making changes, improving, updating, painting and adding key features. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to stay here when in Savannah. The best and cleanest.

    5
    « Best Western- Savannah »

I love a nice comfortable, clean hotel and Best Western Central Inn Midtown Savannah is the best. Pricing is always good, well kept hotel and I love the fact that you get a mini fridge, microwave and a ironing board. I usually will stay at a Marriott property because my brother in law works there and we get a discount. The simple amenities that I love they do not have. I am very pleased with Best Western hotels they have come a long way.

    « Beware-they can Smoke in Rooms! »

Upon arrival we found out hotel was booked and I had booked a smoking room. In Florida you can not smoke in rooms, then he explained that the system automatically put us in smoking. Our choice at 11:00 PM was to find another hotel or stay. We stayed, big mistake! It was not smoke but Marijuana, when I went back to office to tell the guy, he didn't care and actually had previously told me that "eventually all the smoker's will die" After showering, I had to run down to the vehicle. There were people in/out of room next to us. As the door would open the high waft of Marijuana again. Needless to say I reported the next morning based on the guy that was working ! The room was pretty clean, except for bathroom which had hair in it. Beds were very comfortable. Just be sure you know that this is a smoking hotel !

« Best Western Central Inn Is The Best Overall Value »

We love coming to Savannah to break up our trips to and from Florida. The Best Western Central Inn's proximity to and from Downtown Savannah, and Tybee Island allow for easy access to interstate 95 and 16 and the total comfort of the room and amenities are hands down a terrific value. The staff is courtesy and the cleanliness of both the exteriors and interiors are always exceptional. The breakfast is on par and even exceeds many of the higher end hotels. I come there frequently and will continue to do so whenever I am in town.

« Potential for a great hotel, but terrible staff. »

Staff were rude, unfriendly and uninterested in being helpful or assisting customers. Anytime I went to the front desk or called, the front desk clerk was outside smoking, and did not come back inside or answer phone. Rude at check-in. Rude at check-out. I requested two extra towels and was told "You can come get them" as if I were being a bother. Two of the four hotel room light bulbs were out upon check-in, and when I requested new bulbs, I was told that there were no light bulbs and that they couldn't help me.

    3
    « Aircraft carrier »

We checked in here as a stopover from our journey to Greenville South Carolina. The hotel is in the flight path of Hunter Army Air Field, which flies Chinnok helicopters. They pass over the hotel on the way to land which seems to be every 15 minutes. Reminds me of a visit to a friend on a HMS Ocean and I know now what it is like to live on 1 Deck, below the flight desk. Hotel is clean, staff are friendly and the location would be good if it were not in the flight path.

    4
    « Friendly, clean facility »

Convenient location, outside historic district. Motel type facility (outside doors and stairways). Clean and accommodating (has business center, we had to use the printer). Outside pool, lounge area with tables and chairs/chaise lounges. I will say breakfast is only til 9 a.m.(inconvenient), they could use some new towels (they are on the rough side and small) and there are army helicopters and planes that go by occasionally, but really good, clean facility for price, we would stay here again.

    4
    « Cleanest place! »

We stayed at this hotel 2 nights. It is the cleanest I've ever seen. The owner goes around every few hours cleaning things up on the grounds and parking area. Breakfast was hot and tasty, a bit crowded for the tables however. Our first night we had the helicopter pilots in night training flying overhead until about 11 pm , the next night was super quiet.

    4
    « Convenient and clean »

We were happy with our stay at this motel, it is quite large and easy to find near the airfield. There was a little noise in the afternoon but frankly we were quite happy to watch the big Blackhawks and C-130s flying over! The room was clean and tidy, with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom had clearly recently been renovated so the fittings were nice and new. The only small issue was the air conditioner was a little noisy, but it didn't prevent us from sleeping. The hot breakfast was a standout, with a nice large variety of food available and the eggs were good!

« Very Convenient to the Interstate and Downtown »

From the interstate, this hotel was very easy to get to. It is located at the corner of Eisenhower Drive and Albercorn Street. It is a straight shot down Albercorn to the historic area and downtown. Check-in was very easy and efficient. Our 2-double bed room was pretty spacious, with a refrigerator and microwave. In addition to the usual chest-of-drawers, there was a small square table with two chairs....made for a lot more table top space. There was a dual-control (two bulbs) light between the beds (I like that). The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The sink is outside the bathroom. It took "forever" for the shower water to just get warm and then a while longer to get hot. What a waste of water and $$$. Once hot, the shower was pretty good. The smallish bath towels were fairly soft. Two buildings make up this two story hotel. There is a decent-sized outdoor pool (hours = (9 AM - 9 PM). The breakfast hours are similarly good: weekdays, 6-9 AM, and weekends, 6-10 AM). The newspaper that is available to pick up is a local paper. The breakfast room is pretty sizeable.....a lot of tables and chairs. For hot foods, there was sausage, sausage gravy, and scrambled eggs. Of course, a waffle maker. There were several kinds of dry cereals and a nice array of four kinds of pastries and muffins. The coffee was very good. If we return to Savannah, we'll stay here again.

Two bads: no shampoo, conditioner, lotion on any of the 3 day stay and coffee in room tasted of plastic. Breakfast good, room clean, staff friendly. Internet dropped off frequently. Probably would stay elsewhere if staying in Savannah.

« Could not ask for more! »

We had an excellent experience here!Everything was very nicely updated and clean, inside and out. The staff were very professional and friendly. Breakfast was super crowded, but this was also 20 minutes before breakfast was supposed to end. There were tons of breakfast options, and a staff member greeted customers as they entered, wished them a happy Easter, and made sure everyone got what they needed. The room rate was $113 for a Saturday night on a holiday weekend. Although it is not located right in the historic district of Savanah, it was an easy 15 minute drive. My boyfriend and I travel often, and this was one of our best hotel experiences for a reasonable price. Loved it!

« Immaculate and well maintained »

Rooms, grounds, pool area and breakfast room were spotless. The beds and pillows were comfortable and there were plenty of breakfast choices. It is a 'no frills ' hotel that exceeded expectations and was convenient to the city and Tybee.

« Well maintained and clean. »

This is an older motel but updated every inch and very clean. Easy and quick check in. My main gripe and it is a big one: I never could connect to wifi with my iPad. Only connection with iPhone. Comfortable beds but poor quality tv picture with a larger than average size flat screen. Probably a cheap brand-Viore. Good price with continental breakfast included. About 20 minute drive to historic downtown Savannah.

« Extremely clean and well appointed »

Stayed here for points and the lower rate - will stay again for cleanliness and service! Wonderful staff and amazing rooms. The pool area is very pretty, and close to downtown and great restaurants. Our friends loved it too, and already booked for the next trip!

    « Dad's 80th birthday »

Eight of us (age 6 to 80) stayed here for Dad's 80th birthday weekend. Great hotel - clean, comfortable, quiet, and easy to get to anywhere in Savannah! Staff extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast tasty and plentiful. Our cell phones didnt always work, but that might have been our carrier. Highly recommend this hotel!

« Peach of a stay in Savannah »

This Best Western Central Inn is a great place to stay. It is about a 15 minute ride to downtown historic Savannah. This means less traffic noise. The cost is well worth the drive to and from town. The room was clean, beds were very comfortable. The staff was polite, efficient and helpful. This is a must stay for my family the next time we visit Savannah.

    4
    « Very Pleased! »

This was an EXCELLENT deal! The property was older but very well maintained and immaculate. The staff was the most courteous and polite I have ever had the pleasure of meeting -- bar none. Free full breakfast every day. Within walking distance to many things. The only reason I did not give a 5 -- the breakfast room is too small for the size of the property -- very crowded -- causing some to eat in lobby or take food back to the room.

« Great Location and CLEAN! »

Traveling back to Virginia from Florida we take a break in Savannah. This is a super clean hotel with a very nice breakfast. Great location close to downtown area. There's a Waffle House right next door.

« Nice Hotel good location great staff »

Check in staff most helpful full of good ideas. Room very clean and spacious. Outdoor area well kept. Good location on the way into Savannah, from right outside the hotel we used the bus to get into the city, great service enabling a few beers without driving. We missed breakfast by a few moments, but a very nice lady who was cleaning up the area got us some muffins and a drink, thank you. Everyone we met could not have been more helpful.

    5
« Nice as any upscale hotel »

I was pleasantly surprised by the room. We were just passing through Savannah on the way to Florida so picked a budget hotel. I have stayed in many different hotels and this one was as nicely decorated, clean and comfortable as many that we paid twice as much for.

« Very impressive reasonably priced hotel »

Spent the first of a four day weekend at this Comfort Inn. Didn't need anything "fancy" since we weren't arriving until very late and just needed a clean place to spend one night. However, this hotel ended up being one of the best of our entire trip. (anniversary trip, reserved an fancy "Inn" which cost double, but wasn't nearly as accommodating.) Clean, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast with many choices and delightful attendant. Well done Best Western, Central Inn!

    « Quick overnight stay-clean and comfy »

Stopped in very late for a few hours of sleep. Made reservations on the phone- quick and easy. Ended up arriving later than we had anticipated. Check in was super quick- clerk was pleasant and efficient. Room was standard 2 queen beds for 2 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of pillows, beds were clean and room was tidy. Breakfast was fun- seems a city football team was also staying there. Even with about 25 kids under 12, there was still hot tasty eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits!! The 2 ladies managing the breakfast were on top of everything! I'd definitely pass up the best western closer to 95 to stay here again!

    5
    « Clean and comfortable »

This place is spotlessly clean can't fault it the rooms are well kitted out with super large comfortable beds microwave and mini fridge / freezer and coffee maker, the location was good for us to visit Savannah by car with good main roads to and throw and supermarkets & restaurants close by, Adding to this the hotel is close to an air force Base just behind and you can experience plane's & helicopters coming in and out which is a little entertaining we didn't hear anything at night they seem to go in and out morning and late afternoon within a half-hour period,

« Best Value in Savannah »

All I can say is that tis Best Western is the best value in Savannah. Very clean rooms, a convenient location, great value for hard earned dollars. I dare anyone to find a hotel with better value in the area. Thank you BW as usual.

    2
« The worst hotel of the 10 we stayed in on our road trip »

We booked a non-smoking room to find our room stank of smoke... and the toilet smelt of vomit! Having had to dispute that the room smelt of smoke with the front desk, they moved us quickly enough. I was just looking at the official photos on booking.com (who we booked through) and I saw pictures of the breakfast with lots of fruit. The only fruit available was very limited and I doubt there was any nutritional content in anything else available.

    5
    « Great Place »

Great hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel itself was modernized and clean. Location was wonderful, only 5-10 min from historic downtown but much cheaper. Plenty of parking. Didn't notice any noise from the airport next door.

    4
« Good Price Good Locations »

I loved the place that this Best Western is located, close the Oglethorpe Mall and just 10 minutes from Historic Center. If you visit Savannah by car I recommend stay here and save money. You can go to historic center by car and park by less then 20 bucks a day! The room is really comfortable and the room accommodate 4 people, have a good bathroom with a little fridge, that, unfortunately, din`t work so well , they also have a Pool but I didn`t use. They also have coin laundry.

    4
    « Not bad »

The room was clean, but the lights in the bedroom part was as dim as a night light, so who knows how clean it really was. The bathroom had great lighting and was shiny and clean. The bed was a little lumpy, but not terrible. Breakfast was bountiful and well arranged. Unfortunately, the eggs and sausage were lukewarm. The girls tending the buffet were attentive and quick to refill when items became low. We stopped to pick up a paper in the lobby late afternoon on our first day. It was for the previous day. A little disappointing. But overall, a decent place for a night. Plus, the price was right.

    4
    « Good Service »

Had stayed in other Best Western facilities, which is the reason why I chosed this one but was disappointed with not having toothpaste and body lotion in my room at this facility.Apart from that quality of service was great.

    4
« Very good for price »

This hotel is about $120 cheaper than downtown per night. About 15 minute drive to Downtown. The problems with TV remote, microwave buttons and slow sink drainage did not effect our stay. The noise from the planes landing and taking off were not heard inside the room. I would stay here again.

    4
    « Another Excellent Stay »

Very good staff and the only suggesting I would suggest a change on breakfast. But overall I always enjoy my stay at the Best Western in Savannah, GA. Keep up the good work. Wonderful shopping locations and a variety of restaurants to choose.

    5
« very clean very nice place »

Would go back again. Close to a store if you need anything. Great breakfast, in the morning. Not far from town. Bus transportation. Really enjoyed it. Take the Old Savannah Tour it was fabulous. So much fun. Worth the price.

    3
« Good for short stay over. »

Convenient to many stores and not a bad drive into the city. Nice to get breakfast rather than planning to go find a place so that's always a plus. Front desk staff was a great help with suggestions for meals, directions to church, areas to visit in Savannah. Dining was within either walking distance (great steak house nearby) or a very short drive.

« No elevator for upstairs rooms »

No elevator for upstairs rooms...kinda bad if you are over 60 and have luggage. Even though the channel guide lists the NFL channel this is incorrect. I could NOT get Thursday night NFL channel. Had to go to a sports bar down the street to watch the game.

    5
    « Great Savannah stay »

We had an impromptu stay in Savannah with family for a little sight seeing. We rented 2 rooms and both were comfortable and clean. Beds were comfortable. It was economical at good price. Breakfast was delish. Will definitely come back again. Great bargain compared to down town hotel prices if you don't mind driving in to see the sights. Parking can be tricky in Savannah, so I recommend parking at the visitors center and taking the hop on/off tour bus to take you to the attractions. Good deal!

    2
« If you want to sleep DO NOT STAY HERE »

Will not use this best western again, desk had not lamp on it made it difficult to work, had to move lamp from end table and place on desk, Hotel very noisy a lot of semi truck and buses drive right in front of hotel all day and night.

« Not our first choice thanks to Hurricane Matthew! »

Had reservations in the historic district but Hurricane Matthew forced us to postpone and we couldn't re-book. Out of desperation we stayed here. Had to take a cab to visit the historic district at least 5 miles away. That added up after 4 days and 7 cab rides! They really should offer a free or low cost shuttle service. The price was good and it had free wifi and breakfast buffet. Had a second floor room which was clean and quiet. Helpful staff.

« Mold, Theft, Bad Service »

    1) The entire room REEKED of mold. a. I asked on multiple occasions to have the room and carpet cleaned or to move us to another room; they refused to provide any other accommodations. b. The smell was so horrid that I had to leave the door to the room open anytime I was in the room and not sleeping. Eventually a fan was provided by it didn't eliminate the odor. c. I purchased a bottle of Lysol all-purpose cleaner, spray bottle, and Febreeze to spray in the room and on the carpet to reduce the pungency of the odor; it only helped a little for a short period of time. d. I had to wear socks and shoes at all times in the room; I wore only socks once and they quickly became damp from the excessive moisture in the carpet. e. My Wilson leather coat, which I hung up on the provided hangers, resulted in mold growth spots on it by the time I left Wednesday morning; it will now require professional cleaning to salvage it. All of my clothes smell of mold and need several washings to come clean. Even worse is the fact that I could not wash my clothes there and had to bring that mold back home, potentially infecting my own home. i. There is only one washer and dryer for this location, which is outdoors, accessible to anybody (public as well as guests) and theft or damage by rainfall or other elements while being used, and extremely filthy. 2) No blankets or quilts were provided as advertised in pictures. 3) Breakfast tasted horrible and was inedible. 4) Internet never worked. 5) Business Center computer was extremely slow, internet had trouble connecting, and the printer was out of toner. a. I informed the front desk staff about the printer toner as I was trying to print an important document, and it came out horribly streaked and missing half the words; without any form of apology or alternative options, she responded that there's nothing she can do about that and I would have to come back several hours later. I didn't have the option to return hours later and the certificate was being presented that morning. 6) Front desk announced my room number out loud in lobby with others present! a. This is a serious violation of my privacy and security! At one point during my stay, at 1am there as a knock at my door and somebody I did not know tried to get into my room. 7) Front desk staff told walk-in guests she could rent rooms to them at rates much lower than the rates I was given, each time negotiating a lower rate. She said these rates out loud while I was standing behind them waiting to speak with her (again) about the room issues. When I mentioned this, she lied and told me she has no control over the rates a guest is given ? I know very well rates can be manually adjusted, just as she did with these guests. 8) The guest in the room above me smoked on the balcony directly above me and dropped her cigarettes all over the ground right in front of my room and on the hood and windshield of my friend's car. 9) WORST ISSUE: My wallet and belongings were disturbed, including theft of $100 and a credit card and a pair of earrings. a. I left my wallet and belongings on a table (not the floor because of the mold and moisture in the carpet) during my stay so as not to lose it at the conference or carry around extra items. b. On Wednesday morning while packing to leave, I noticed my wallet had been moved, its contents rearranged, and a $100 bill and credit card was missing (five $1 bills were still there). Before making any accusations, I decided to double check all belongings when I unpacked; I unpacked and searched everything as soon as I arrived home this morning, and am still missing the $100 bill and credit card. I have already canceled the credit card. c. My friend's belongings were placed on her bed and another table (not the floor), and she also indicated that they were disturbed and moved, and is also missing a pair of earrings. When making a reservation in a hotel and subsequently staying in that hotel, especially one with a brand-name chain, I expect at least some quality to the rooms, quality customer service, and honest staff. I expect that if issues arise, they are resolved quickly and professionally. This was not the case here. From the moment I arrived, I began looking at other hotels in the area, even at higher rates, but everything was sold out for the weekend with workers for the storm cleanup and service restoration and conference attendees. If I had driven my car instead of flying, I would have preferred to stay in my car than that moldy dirty room. The constant response I heard from staff was that they were recovering from a hurricane; Savannah received some heavy winds and rain! In addition, the conference hotels ON THE WATER had already managed to properly clean the property and rooms prior to our arrival date. The hurricane also has nothing to do with the quality of the staff, the theft of my belongings, and lack of promised services. They had several days following the storm to properly air out and clean the rooms before renting them, but they did not.

« Clean property with good location at a decent price »

This is an older property that has recently been renovated. I stayed in a first floor room with a very comfortable king sized bed. The room had been recently painted and was nearly immaculate. The location is about a 15 minute drive from downtown and there are many food and shopping options nearby. This was a business trip, so I wasn't really looking for anything elaborate. This room had all the normal amenities you'd expect. The only drawback to the location is that the hotel is very close to the Army airfield, and you will have planes and, more commonly, helicopters passing over at all hours. They can be quite loud, and although the activity is less at night, I did wake up once in my four night stay around 1 am from a close pass by a helicopter. I am not a light sleeper, so with that one exception, it really didn't bother me. Most of the central hotels are near the airfield, however, and I have stayed at several and can say that this isn't an issue exclusive to this particular property. Overall, I found this hotel to be welcoming, clean, and a good value. Aside from the aircraft, I didn't have any noise issues from nearby rooms or traffic. I do a lot of work in Savannah and I will be staying here again.

« Could have been better, overall decent for a night »

I'll start with the good: clean bathroom, decent amenities (pictures) comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet. Good parking. Small pool. Close to gas stations and department store shopping. 15 minute drive to downtown. Bad: chain lock, the screws were all but off...screwed them back in with a nail file.... room smelled like cat. At first thought, maybe the A.C. was consistently peed on (floor level unit) but I think it was the rugs. They had that damp feeling maybe mold and mildew gives off that odor? I buried my head in the fresh sheets and kept the door open for fresh air when possible. Another big concern is the signposted at the front desk - also pictured - basically after checkout and review they will decide if any items went missing....

« Best hotel in the mid range hotel selection »

Have not experienced a staff like this in some time; they all took great pride in their work; in their hotel and seemed like they truly liked their work. It was super refreshing seeing folks smiling and welcoming! The hotel (room, breakfast area, lobby, etc.) was super clean. Again, a sign of pride!

    « Not bad for a 2 Night Stay »

I stayed here after reviewing several hotels in the area. The price was decent and the room was clean. In fact, the housekeeping staff was the only excellent part of this hotel. The front desk service was okay, but nothing special. I don't have anything negative to say about this stay, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The location is good because it is within walking distance to Waffle House if you miss breakfast and close to shopping. I would stay at this hotel again.

    « Best service!!! »

Myself and two friends went on a girl trip and stayed at Best Western. We asked for and received a first floor room. The room was clean and neat looking and not pricey. . The ladies at the front counter were awesome. They always greeted me with a smile and eager to help. We felt safe there and had easy access to downtown and the mall. I would definitely stay there again.

Employees very nice and everyone helpful. Has trouble with the key getting into the room and guy emptying the trash offered to help. Hotel was located by Hunter AFB runway and had very load jets landing throughout the day. When I was booking the room I had checked Priceline and hotel directly and the price was the same. I accidentally booked through Priceline. When I went to add my Best Western number they told me I couldn't because I booked through a third party. I was also put right by the vending and ice machine. noisy through the night. Don't know if that had anything to do third party booking or not??

    « Good value »

Stayed here for a weekend trip- easy drive in to historical area of town. A little "old school"(kinda like places you may have stayed at as a kid)but clean, friendly. Pretty decent breakfast as well! Every night the place was packed.

    « Clean and affordable! »

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights and had a pretty good stay. We rented a king room which was clean and (mostly) quiet. We never heard any noise from neighboring rooms, although we did hear airplanes passing over now and then, which sounded really close. The motel is about 5 miles from most of the sites in the historic district. The neighborhood seemed safe and there are lots of stores, restaurants and gas stations nearby. While not loaded with amenities, I would stay here again.

    4
« Good Place to Stay »

Hotel is very immaculate and clean. The staff was very friendly. Not fancy but a nice place to stay and close to downtown. If you are looking for a fancy hotel this is not the place but if you are looking for a nice hotel and a good price to stay along with convenience to everything this is the place to stay.

    4
« Good Value. Easy drive from airport »

Stayed here first night in Savannah because I was getting in late from the airport and did not want to spend the extra money in the historic district which I did the next 2 nights. The hotel was very inexpensive. Outside entrance. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. This is not the tourist part of Savannah although it is less than a 10 minute drive to the historic district. Good alternative if you do not want to pay the higher prices there. The room was nice. Good basic free breakfast.

    4
« Good price, great free breakfast »

Clean, plenty of parking, budget friendly, close to highways and restaurants and shopping. 15 mins to downtown. Room: clean, well lit, avg bathroom w/ normal shower flow. Older a/c units that took awhile to cool room. Gap around door that brought in light. Bed: soft, great pillows, clean - very comfy. TV: nice large flat panel - HBO/Showtime. Small pool outside. Breakfast: Excellent and free. Eggs, sausage, biscuit/gravy, juices, cereal - very nice. Free newspaper. I would stay again.

    3
    « Simple, good location »

It's a simple and good hotel. Located by the airport , so it can get loud. Otherwise is very quiet. Beds are comfortable , rooms are clean, and breakfast is decent. It's walking distance to many stores and restaurants . Staff is ok, doesn't seem they are happy to work there but they do their work .

Great motel. Easy to find. The motel looked brand new. The breakfast was good, especially the biscuits. There was adequate parking, right in front of room, except late one night I had to park about 5 rooms away. Very quite.

« Nice stay for price »

Room was clean and everything except coffeemaker was updated. Would stay again, although be sure and check pricing, as they surge price on weekends. Enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and fried eggs for breakfast!

« Clean, good value for the money »

There is not much details to share about this hotel, the room was nice and clean. When we arrived the fire alarm was beeping once in every minute, very annoying. But guest desk sent someone in 10 minutes with a replacement device and it worked just fine. No safe in the room, but we had a bigger fridge. Good value for the price.

    « I broke a pool rule! »

I was looking for another place I stayed last year, but came upon this hotel first. It was on a side street that was a little quieter than the main one. I had an afternoon to kill and I spent it in the pool. No one was around so I had the pool to myself and broke their first rule about not swimming alone, but it was so peaceful. The room had a giant bed on which I slept sideways...because I could! The radio wasn't great but I found a station I liked when I couldn't find a TV channel I liked. The back building was very quiet. Breakfast got me through most of the day. I needed to get to a boat on Skidaway Island going to Wassaw Island to do sea turtle research, so this hotel was as near as I could get to the marina, which had no hotels nearby. I'll stay here next year for sure. I saw a bench where one could be picked up by a tour bus near the office. Wish I had known about it, but I was in my swim suit!

« Clean, efficient, cheap, freshly painted »

This place was a surprise, great value for money! And like all things it comes down to the efforts of just a few people! The breakfast is fabulous, plentiful eggs, sausages, mushroom sauce/gravy, buns(biscuits), grits, waffles, and of course cakes, juice, coffee and so on... But best of all was a tiny lady who keeps the place humming! She cleans, and prepares fresh food endlessly! She could well be this hotels best asset. The car park has an equivalent man, it is spotless at 8am every morning because he has spent 2? Hours picking up every cig butt left by some of the grubs who sadly frequent the joint because it is cheap! The rooms are non smoking, but because seemingly everyone smokes the waft of their detritus is everywhere..... It's a good location, easy access to the middle of savannah, u will need a car, and free parking is available at the visitor centre down town. I fully endorse this place, it will be better when non smokers are the norm

« Recently renovated nice hotel »

We stayed one night and were quite satisfied. The room was large and it was recently renovated. Everything was clean. The bathroom was a little small but also clean. There is a fridge and a microwave. The breakfast was quite good with a nice choice of breakfast items. There is plenty of parking space and you need about 10-15 minutes to downtown. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The two things we did not like so much: it is quite loud (also at night) due to the many helicopters that start at the airfield next door and the bed was quite soft so our backs hurt a little the next day. Nevertheless it was a good hotel for the price.

    5
    « Labor day visit »

Great little hotel, price was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and slept great. Room was clean with clean sheets and towels, which is very important to me. It met our needs well. Great first time stay.

    « Great Stay »

I was surprised at how great the hotel, service, and rooms are. The breakfast was on time, full, and hot. The coffee was just right for me. The parking lot was clean. The hotel looked fresh and the pool area was clean and fun.

« Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms »

While this is an older property, the rooms are nice and clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and provided service with a smile. The locale is close to dining and shopping and it's a short drive to all the great things that Savannah has to offer. My husband and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here on our next weekend getaway to Savannah.

    « So pleasant »

My husband and I stayed here two years in a row, both times were great! Very clean rooms, staff very helpful and great breakfast! The Oglethorpe Mall is right across the street, with a Publix, Kroger and Walmart close by.

« Ok for the money? »

Cheaper than anything close. But right on the approach to the air base behind it. Noise into the night. Older property, in need of some reconstruction. People are mostly nice. Breakfast is poor. If you are there for business, and only need a place to sleep, not spend any time, you can't beat it for the money.

    5
    « Enjoyed our stay »

We booked two rooms and my dad needed to switch his room after the 1st night because of a loud equipment noise. They switched him without question quickly the next morning. The woman at the front desk was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast provided and time spent at the pool. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There is an Army base nearby and we enjoyed watching them doing their maneuvers.

« Roach infested Stay Away »

I have stayed at many hotels this is my first time going to bed with a roach on my wall it was disgusting, the first thing I do when I arrive I disinfect my room getting ready to settle in for the night @11:00 pm after a 9 hour drive, I get up to use the bathroom go to the sink to wash my hands see something on the wall cut on the light and IT'S A BROWN NICE SIZE ROACH SO DISGUSTING all I could think about was taking these things home with me, called to the front desk and asked if they have roaches she said No but she could move me to another room so, I moved @11:00 pm what an inconvenience to pack up all our belongings to move get to the new room, the new room has peanuts on the floor behind the bed and crumbs behind the night stand, I will never stay here again so, going back to the roaches her reapply was NO clearly on tripadvisor travelers have taken pictures of roaches I checked tripadvisors before booking they had a 4 star review ratings but I didn't look at the pictures until the roach problem. I would have moved to another hotel if it wasn't so late now I'm paranoid to go to sleep. Disgusting I can't believe it.

    « Okay »

This is a decent hotel in a good location. It was around 10- 15 minutes from almost everything we wanted to do. Clean beds and room. Staff was okay, lady at check in was rude. There were ants in the bathroom.

    « Not so good »

We stopped here because of location and our experience with other Best Westerns. When we got there I was inform, since I had made the reservations on line and not through the Best Western website I would not get any points for a he stay. Also no up grade for being a gold card member. The lady at the counter was nice. We was assigned room #229 I believe. After we has gotten settled we discovered a bed bug on the wall. It was dead but still a little in-nerving as are there more? Took it to the desk and was given another room. We were put in #118. We used a light to inspect the room. I did find what looked like dead bugs in the chairs. But no live bugs. It was late after 8:00pm now so we took a chance and stayed. This room had a white powder along the wall on one side. Not sure what this powder was, but house cleaning should of vacuumed this up. In the morning there was a roach in the sink. This did not bother me too much as it probably came up through the drain. Definitely will not stay here again. I will be contacting Best Western.

    « Nice and clean »

The room was just as you see in the pics when we arrived. Booked this day of stay. Great for the price! Everything was clean. Front desk was polite. Pool looked clean, people were enjoying it. Helicopters and planes from Army base flying over but didn't bother us. Didn't make it to breakfast but I'm sure it would have been adequate. No complaints. Would stay there again!

« Minor problems, overall good stay. »

We stayed for one night and only had some minor issues. When we came in, there was still some hair in the shower from previous guests and a chip in the paint of the tub. The sink drained very slowly, and it wasn't fixed despite our calling the front desk to ask if someone could come fix it. The TV had a lot of static, but it wasnt too big of an issue. Other than that, everything was pretty clean and comfortable and not at all bad for the price!

« Place was not properly prepared.. »

sink & bathtub drains plugged, frig didn't cool or freeze well despite my turning temp knob from 2 or 3 to 8 The sheets had a yellow tinge indicating not washed properly and/or not discarded as needed.

    « Best Value = Best Western »

I stayed here with my 3 grandchildren for 3 nights, and it was the best value I have gotten in a long time. We had a great room, and it was nice and clean with very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the pool every day. The breakfast was a full breakfast and free. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they made sure we had everything we needed for a fantastic vacation.

« Super clean hotel! The extra effort shows! »

I stayed here based upon the other positive reviews of this place, and it didn't fail to live up to those expectations. This motel is basically an average stay, not too shabby and nothing too fancy. Rooms: 6/10; average size, if a little on the small side, especially the bathroom. Cleanliness: 9/10; clean floors, linens and the outside of the place is also exceptionally well maintained. The outside of the place had recently been painted and the parking lot is very clean. The room itself is in good shape and mostly impressive in that regard but out room (122) apparently suffers from water soaking/staining the floor board trim behind the toilet. Comfort: 6/10; the beds and pillows are right in the middle. I've had both worse and better sleeping experiences. Service: 9/10; the lady at the front desk was nice, as we're the ladies at the breakfast area. Management was very good to us. There was a gentlemen in house keeping who made sure to catch us ad we were getting into our car to see if we wanted or room service since we stayed here 3 nights and we'd left the do not disturb sign on our site. Location: 7/10; I think this is the best of the 3 clusters of hotels in savannah. The historic district is really pricey and although it's close to the hot places, the 14 minutes drive into town from this hotel affords you a great view and sense of the town. The other cluster out by the interstate is way to far away and price wise isn't much better. My biggest gripe is the army base near by. At first it's pretty awesome to see the apache helicopters flying over had, but after the 12th time, it was a bit much. Luckily they never flew after what seemed to be 9pm or early in the morning.

Cleanest motel room we've ever stayed in. Staff friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was good. Coffee was best I had while in Savannah. In room coffee not so much.Pool could have been kept cleaner. On site washer and dryer very handy.

« Wonderful Hotel, Average Service »

We chose this hotel based on location and proximity to Historic Savannah. At first glance, it looked like a well kept property. No trash around the property. The hotel even had an outdoor pool. We were put on the 2nd floor away from the main road (247). The room had two double beds, a flat screen television, mini-fridge and microwave. WiFi was complimentary but we had trouble getting a signal. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Both nights we slept just fine. The beds were very comfortable and the room was bigger then I expected. There is one negative. I did not receive a great vibe from the front desk during my stay except at check out. The gentleman at checkout was very talkative (in a good way). The housekeeping department was just as pleasant. In addition, one of the lights of the desk lamp was broken, they fixed the issue once I mentioned it to the front desk. I would stay at this hotel again if given the chance. The most important part of the hotel is cleanliness of the room and they exceeded expectations with that.

« Clean, comfortable and well located »

We stayed at the BW central for 13 days while helping our daughter's family move to Savannah. We needed to be close to Hunter airfield & Wilmington Island. Price point was important for such a long stay. BW central met all the requirements. This property is very clean. Any problem we had with AC was probably due to the extreme heat and humidity.

    « Best Western »

Not the best, but not the worst either. We stayed two nights. It was quiet the first night but not so much the second. My chief complaint is that I booked one night, and didn't read the fine print. It charged me for two nights, and when I tried to cancel one, I didn't do it in time. They wouldn't let me cancel, so we had to go through a long process of changing reservations. Not thrilled about that at all. Over all, it was an ok place to stay, but I wouldn't go out of my way to stay again. Not a great breakfast.

« Economy Is Not Always The Best »

Checked into Hotel 7/16 for one night. Noticed what appeared to be a slight smell of urine in room. Turned up a/c and left for dinner. Upon return smell had dissipated. Woke at 6 am to greeting by a few ROACHES scurrying across my bathroom floor. Cornered one and ruined its day. Left it there and took a quick shower. Upon using the bath towels I noticed a strong odor on it that we all are familiar with. The smell of a old towel that got wet too many times,Told gentlemen at desk about the deceased roach , where to find it and the fact that my hair now smelled like the towel. His response was. "Why Didn't you immediately tell us ?" My response: "Because I was naked and had to dress first" He said "Sorry" and went about his business without a further comment. Don't I'll ever be spending a night at this place again.

    « Nice stay »

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron & ironing board, and hair dryer. All the things we needed. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The pool was great for cooling off in the late afternoon coming back from sightseeing in Savannah. The breakfasts were good. Plenty to choose from. Parking was right outside our room on the ground floor.

« Reasonable hotel for the price »

We were visiting Savannah and had a choice between a reasonably priced hotel about 15 minutes from downtown or spending an extra $100 a night and staying directly downtown. Obviously, we selected this hotel rather than staying downtown, although we spent so much time downtown it might have been worth spending the extra money; still a judgment call. This hotel is nice enough; good size rooms that were fairly clean and well maintained. Perhaps just a bit outdated and the AC does make some good noise, but overall we were happy enough with our stay. The bathroom was your typical hotel bathroom and met our needs. We did use the pool, and the water was cloudy. Not sure what the issue is, but they do need to do some maintenance on the filter system. Breakfast was fine; not good, not bad. Overall, a good stay; nothing outstanding, but no real complaints either.

We went to Savanah to visit beach, very nice place, room at motel was fine ,very clean, easy to reach, pool was lovely and jot,lot of choice for breakfast, reception staff not very helpful tried to register for the £50 deal but she dismissive ,it was noisy with helicopter over head so wouldn't recommend with baby

    « Great Stay »

We stopped in Savannah to visit Wormsloe Plantation on our way back home from New York but wanted something budget friendly. I was hesitant to stay here because of the low rates $140 for 2 nights. But I'm happy we stayed here, I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was very friendly and the property is really clean! The rooms were really clean as well! Do not hesitate to stay here! You will not be disappointed!

    « Very Nice »

This hotel was very clean, our room looked newly upgraded. Front desk staff was very polite and friendly- check in and out was quick. I lost our key while on our outing, went to front desk and was promptly given new keys. Not too far from downtown, surrounded by nice shopping areas.

« Pretty nice for the price! »

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 days, and we had a great time! It's not the best, but definitely worth it for the price. It was only 15 minutes from the historic district, which was great, and there were lots of restaurants and stores around the hotel too.

    4
    « Nice, friendly, clean »

This was a last minute check-in, but we had no problems. Rooms were large, clean, and the grounds were well kept. Breakfast was a little crowded, but not bad considering it was a weekend and there were soccor teams there.

    4
    « Great location »

Staff at front desk has poor customer service skills. Check room thoroughly before making your final payment. Bathroom was not fully clean. Ask for other optional rooms before laying your head and bathing.

« Great place, Great price »

Had a wonderful stay here, the room was super clean, the price was awesome, and the entire hotel was super nice. Bed was really comfy and ac wasn't as noisy as others describe it. Breakfast was good as well. Near a really nice mall and tons of other shops, super close to some of the best restaurants in town. Had a wonderful dinner at the Green Truck Pub nearby. Only a bit far from the tourist areas, but definitely worth the distance - especially for the price! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good hotel and a good deal.

    4
    « Very clean & friendly service »

We stayed one night before heading down coast. Check-in/check out fine. We arrived late & left early so we did not use grounds except for room to sleep. It was very clean, and the bedding is great because they have the washable comforters vs the old style that are harder to launder. I loved hearing Reveille from Hunter Army Air Field, being military family, it was great way to start day!

    « Weekend getaway »

A little further from the beach than we originally were told...don't take the downtown way if you're in a hurry or have anxiety!!! The hotel was one of the most clean we've ever stayed in. Food was good, staff very friendly !!

    3
« Decent hotel for the price »

They have good and clean rooms, decent breakfast, and friendly staff. The ACs were extremely noise however, The hotel is located near many restaurants. So, you have plenty of options to dine. Pool is ok too.

    3
« Not really Central, but nice and clean »

An older motel, well maintained and pleasant. But the name "central" is misleading, it is a long way from downtown Savannah. Breakfast is nice, the area is so-so, there is a large shopping mall nearby.

    4
« Clean Room, Great Staff and Nicely Priced »

The hotel is about a ten minute drive form historic Savannah. The room was clean it smelled nice and the bed had crisp white sheets. The room came with a fridge/freezer combo and a microwave. There was also a coffee maker and a laundry corner with an ironing board. The cleaning service came everyday while we were out sightseeing in the city and did a wonderful job. The TV was a good size and came with plenty of options for what to watch, they even had free HBO and WiFi while I was visiting. The room came with two entry cards to unlock the door, and a deadbolt and chain for safety. For the price of the room Best Western Central Inn was above expectations.

    3
    « Great Staff »

Friendly and professional. It's a shame the air conditioner was not working well in both rooms. Not sure if they have it set so you can't change the temperature too much. The location is great. its to do in the area. There are some great places to eat nearby from the usual chains to lovely family restaurants. I would recommend this place to friends, but not in the hottest summer months.

« Very Clean and Great Location »

The rooms were very clean and with all the amenities you need for an overnight of few day stay. Room are equipped with TV, Microwave an Frig. The bath and shower was very clean, looks like this hotel was recently renovated. The breakfast area was clean and served a good variety of food and fruit for breakfast. Parking was abundance and the pool area was also very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Savannah.

« Great location, nice room, good price »

I am going to start off with the good because our issues were handled well. The room was clean and comfortable. It had a nice tv and cold refrigerator. The a/c worked well and we were really pleased with the room for the price. The bed was a little soft but still comfortable and there was a very comfortable chair and ottoman in the room. The shower was slippery and would be nice if they had something in the tub to help with that. Breakfast was good. The pool was clean and not busy while we were there. The chairs in the pool area were very comfortable. This hotel is about 15 minutes from Savannah and about 30 from Tybee Island which made it a perfect location for us. We had an issue with our room and only stayed one night of the three that we were booked. I was pleased with the way management handled the issue. When we got to the room, the toilet would not flush. They sent maintenance up pretty quickly to repair it. It flushed fine several times then we took a nap before a later evening ghost tour that we were going on. When we started to get ready, the toilet had the same issue again with not flushing. At that point, we were advised that the hotel was full so we could not change rooms and it would be the next morning before they could repair it. The front desk hesitantly mentioned that there was a restroom in the lobby. That didn't seem like the best option to us but we were on our way out for the evening and there wasn't much we could do about it. After our tour we decided to go ahead and drive to Tybee Island and look around and went ahead and booked a room for the rest of our stay just due to being frustrated with the situation. They had mentioned they would send someone up at 7 am to repair the toilet so I got up early but no one had showed up by about 8:30. We went to breakfast, which was good but ended at 9 am on weekdays (I later found out that 9 am seems to be the norm for hotel breakfast on weekdays, we were just surprised that they took the food out while the room was pretty full). We then went to the pool which was very clean and spent a little time there. By the time we got back to the room, maintenance was working on repairing the toilet and had it apart to make the repairs. Looking back on the experience, I feel that they did the best they could to repair the issues and were on top of it the next morning. They did give us a discount for our inconvenience which was greatly appreciated and let us know that they care about their customers. They took a bad situation and did their best to make it right. I will definitely give them another chance if we are back in the area.

    « One word - CLEAN »

Must give this one an excellent award. Room, lobby, grounds spotless! We travel a lot and you just don't find these too often. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They actually had personalities! Again, you don't find that too often. Never used the pool, but I'm sure it was also clean. Breakfast was a nice treat and tended by a very sweet lady that greeted and thanked each guest. This is a good one folks!!!

    « Great Place! »

Hubby and unstated here on our trip to Savannah. It is about 15 minutes away from historic downtown. It did not break the budget like those costly hotels in the heart of things. Our room had been newly remodeled and a great job was done! It was very comfortable and clean! We did not use the breakfast or pool. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area. The hotel is close to the army airfield. You do hear aircraft landing and taking off pretty regularly. Some come right over the hotel! Overall this place is great!

    « Excellent Hotel »

Hotel room was very clean and quite at night. It provides a nice breakfast each morning which I like that gets the day started. It is conveniently located close to historic Savannah, Georgia. I would recommend this no hassle hotel to anyone who wants to stay in this area.

    « nice pool - decent value »

for the price - it was a decent hotel - the place seems newly remodeled but the best part was the pool - it was clean and warm. location was good - minutes from downtown savannah. only issue is airport noise but its to be expected as it is near one.

« Good price and location »

I did a ton of research before selecting a hotel for my family's vacation to Savannah. I would have loved to stay in a hotel on the river but cost was an issue. After reading the reviews for this hotel on several sites I chose to book it. The location is great only 5 miles down Abercorn to the city center. There are a lot of restaurants and things to do near the hotel itself. If you stay here you MUST eat at Sweet Potatoes 3 miles up the road. As for the hotel I was skeptical about staying at a hotel with outside entry to the rooms but it was never an issue. We had 3 adults a 13 year old and a 3 year old and though the room was small it was just fine. The beds are only fulls not queens like we are used to but it worked out. The room was clean and the bathroom was too. Everyone that worked there was incredibly nice and welcoming. We never ran into any questionable hotel guests everyone was nice and well kept, most with their families and friends. The breakfast was as expected. The waffles were amazing, everything else was alright. All in all I would stay here again however I would prefer to stay somewhere else only because the rooms were slightly small (although I know we did have 5 people). But for the price and the location you can't beat it!!!

    « Pleasant Surprise »

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting family. Neat, clean and well maintained. Salt water pool was a perfect place to play. Breakfast bar had an electrical problem on our first day but was back to 100% the next day. Tended to run out of certain items late in the morning. Friendly staff. Impressed by staff constantly walking and inspecting the grounds and facilities. Rooms are small as expected for an older establishment. Full beds in the double room were adequate. Will stay again if we are in the area.

    3
    « Well Used »

This Best Western was well located and easy to find. It is an easy drive to the historical district, about 15 minutes. However, it is time for a remodeling. The rooms had a well worn look. It is a very popular hotel due to its proximity to Savannah, but it must maintain the Best Western Standards. The lobby was poor decorated and the breakfast room only functional. However, the staff was very accommodating and welcoming.

« ideal for what we wanted »

stayed her for a few nights in may 2016 whilst in florida for the month. booked on the best western website easy. read the reviews so knew roughly what to expect. stayed on the 2nd floor away from the main block. just refurbed room. very clean, very comfortable bed, shower great. brekkie adequate. great location for easy drive into city itself, not far from lovely tree lined streets and franklin park. eating places also not to far. Overall a very clean and reasonably priced hotel/motel and I would recommend, why pay silly in town prices.

« Water pressure and AC was less than desirable »

Overall the stay here was ok, despite the low shower pressure and the AC never really getting the room cold or comfortable. Access to downtown and restaurants was good. Fiddlers Seafood Southside restaurant was nice as well as the 24 hour diner across from the hotel. Barnes BBQ was another place we liked.

The hotel was clean, newly renovated. Bath towels could be larger. Pool was small, and I bet very warm water as the summer progresses. Internet was slow, but adequate. Cleaning staff did a good job cleaning rooms, but they did not speak any English and did not understand basic questions.

« Not the best option for Savannah »

We stayed one night in Savannah and and this was barely adequate. There was a smell in the room and this was annoying to put it mildly. It is several miles outside town and there's not much in the vicinity. It is also quite pricey and you do not exactly get value for money. But the breakfast was pretty good and that is probably the best thing about staying in this place. There is free Wi-Fi and the bed was comfortable. Still you can certainly do better if you are in Savannah.

    5
    « Amazing Management!!! »

We never actually made it to the hotel because of a family emergency, so we had to cancel the day before. We called one of the managers at the hotel, Andrea, and she was beyond accommodating and amazing and was able to help us. We have nothing but fantastic things to say about the staff at this hotel and I'm sure that is an indication of the quality of the hotel in general!!

    3
    « Great Location »

    « VACATION »

I was planning to spend a week in Savannah for vacation when I arrived at the hotel the young lady was very nice about three hours after we checked in someone else tried to enter our room the soda machine took our dollar for soda pop about 3 more hours in I felt itchy on my skin I really feel like I was being bitten by bed bugs. So me and my husband decided to check out and go across the street to the new hotel the Clarion. A4 night stay at this location turned out to be a one quick night stay. I definitely would not recommend this hotel the only thing I did like about it was the shower great water pressure

    5
    « Very nice hotel »

Even though they were doing a little remodeling this stay was totally fine! The room was clean, the parking was safe and ample and the staff was very friendly. It's a little jump to downtown Savannah but other than that I totally recomend it!

    « Loved Savannah »

The hotel was in a good location close to shopping, pharmacies, etc, but it was a bit far from historical downtown. Hotel was clean and the beds were fine. Breakfast was your typical serve yourself fare in a small room off the lobby.

Best of everything..The breakfast is great, rooms are great the couple that cleans are precious.. « Inexpensive and great quality! »

This location in midtown was a great for my girls trip to Savannah. It was about 15 min from downtown and 30 from Tybee Island. It didn't take long to get anywhere we were wanting to go. The quality was great! No complaints here! If you are looking for something centralized and low budget but still want to be in a safe area, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

    « Great hotel »

This was a great hotel on our short stay in Savannah. Hotel was quiet. Not much activity at the air field on the weekends. A shuttle for the Olde Savannah Tour (not the orange and green, theirs is white) picked us up at the lobby and brought us back. Before booking we called the hotel asking about the tour bus and was told it was the orange and green one. The staff needs to be aware of what actually comes. When we checked in we were under the impression the shuttle ran every 20 minutes from the clerk. But the next morning we missed the shuttle! They did call and have them come back. Otherwise we would have to wait 2 more hours! Plenty of parking. Hotel is outdoor corridor. But was quiet and we felt safe. Domino's Pizza will deliver to your room. The rooms were nice and updated. However, the tub is very slippery! So be careful. I slipped every time I showered. But for the price we were able to afford to do many things in the downtown area that we might not have been able to had we stayed at a pricier hotel in the downtown area.

    « Nice »

Nothing fancy, but clean and reasonably updated for an old motel. Staff were very nice. Breakfast was good. Not really close to attractions, but excellent for its price. You will want to park your car downtown, because it's too far to walk and that adds to the cost, but overall, I'd go back.

    « ok stay »

Average motel a little far from downtown. My Mom and I were trying to save a little money and decided to stay outside downtown and this hotel showed up with decent reviews and a good price. The hotel is decent and definitely acceptable for a night. The rooms and bathroom were clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was ok. It is the typical breakfast you would expect at a best western, but nothing tasted that good to me. I grabbed some eggs but didn't eat them because of taste and since I don't eat meat I was left with lots of bread options. The next two nights we decided to splurge and stay in the heart of downtown Savannah and it was definitely worth it. It's such a small, walkable city it was nice to be in the middle of it all. So if you are just passing through for the night I would recommend staying here, but if you are visiting Savannah, get as close to downtown as you can.

    5

    « Great Price »

Stayed here at the first of our trip and on the return. Got a great rate. Rooms clean and comfortable. It is very close to a military airport. At times my husband would run outside to see if the planes were going to take the roof off! Large selection for breakfast and the ladies kept it filled. Would definitely stay here again.

    4
    « Good Hotel »

Stayed here while visiting Savannah, it is about 5 miles away from downtown. So you are not really close to the action but that can be a good thing. The rooms have been remodeled, it was clean and comfortable. No complaints about the room itself except the double beds are small. So if you are sharing might up to a queen. The breakfast, called a "full" breakfast is disappointing. Very limited and not that good. There is an army base across the streets so helicopters flying overhead all the time.

    4
« Breakfast area with exceptional service, pool, close to downtown Savannah and malls »

We stayed for two weekend nights. We chose the hotel for the budget price for the Savannah area, the proximity to downtown historic Savannah, and based on the reviews! . The room was clearly renovated. It was clean and had decent towels that were thicker than the ones at some places we have stayed. There were three sets in the room with two beds. It was a non smoking room. It looks like they are currently working on renovating the back building but there was no noise from it. Also did not notice any noise from planes as someone else wrote or any noise from outside. However, we did hear the TV on in the room next to ours. Once the A/C was on, the TV noise was blocked out a lot. The location was not far to downtown Savannah. A Waffle House is right next to it. Also, nearby were malls and places such as Dairy Queen, Burger King, McDonalds. Moe's Southwest Grill, Publix, CVS, and a post office were not too far off. These places were in various directions from the intersection at the Best Western. The pool was open but it is not heated. There were plenty of lounge chairs. The GPS had us turning on "Douglas Ave." when in fact we were at the road we needed to be on and the Best Western was right there! It's more like a motel set up with every door opening to the outside. We were on the second floor. There are no elevators. Sadly, they did not grant our request for a room on the first floor with easy access to the pool. When I called over a week ahead, I was told that it was based on availability but that they would make a note.. It doesn't seem they have a system to honor such requests unlike other places that can assign a room to you ahead of time. The two ladies at the front desk for check in were fine when we checked in Friday afternoon although a bit distracted it seemed. I noticed a different person there on Saturday and she appeared to be a lot more attentive to the guests. We left the "quiet" sign up on the door knob and were not disturbed by housekeeping. The room was very clean so it appears they do a great job with cleaning them! The breakfast was decent with eggs, biscuits, make your own waffles, oranges, apples, oatmeal, etc. No yogurt though. The most impressive employee we came across at the hotel was the person who worked in the breakfast area. Her name tag read "Jane". She was right on top of things making sure everything was stocked and kept clean including the tables as people left. She quickly assisted if anyone needed anything. She was friendly but not invasive. She clearly has a strong work ethic. She made sure the guests had a pleasant breakfast experience! It would be great to have more people like her working not just at this hotel but everywhere!

« Nice room for the price »

Nice staff, nice room. The beds were a little soft but not too bad but the pillows were like rocks. Also the A/C unit was loud but unfortunately they usually are unless you're willing to be $200+ a night for a place to sleep. I would recommend this place and to use their free shuttle service for the tour trollies.

« Renovated budget hotel no perks »

If you are on a budget then stay here and spend money sightseeing and eating out. It has recently been renovated. There are no perks. Just a clean place to stay. This is the last stop for the trolley too. I only stayed a night. I would only stay 2-3 days, less if bringing a family.

« Very Pleased and surprised with stay at Best Western »

Clean, well maintained property, a bit nosy with the airport so close. Pool and sun deck very comfortable. Breakfast was the best I have had with hot dishes, waffles and fresh fruits and the usual fare for breakfast. Beds extremely comfortable, room service each day. Could not have found a better place for the price .Enjoyed our stay

    « Visit to Savannah »

The outside of this hotel was a bit shabby, and the location was noisy and very commercial. Inside, however, it was clean and nice enough, and the staff were as helpful as they could be. My biggest issue is the location - lots of traffic, not a great spot to get a night's rest. The internet was slow and the air conditioner in our room was noisy, so we had to turn it off at night to sleep. But, overall, it was clean, and comfortable enough.

    « Lovely stay »

Stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend for a week. It was conveniently located for shops, Denny's, Waffle House, small mall and restaurants. The hotel has free parking, free continental breakfast which I wasn't very keen on and there is also a small swimming pool. There is a fantastic Japanese buffet nearby which is really cheap

« Good hotel with a poor breakfast »

The incheck went smoothly, nice people behind the desk. The room was clean, not too small. Bed was very good . WiFI had a good signaal. Very easy drive to River Street. In the area shopping mall, restaurants Only one thing - not too many items for the "hot" breakfast. They even did not have peanut butter. Too less tables so people did not have space to sit and eat the breakfast

« Active Military Base nearby. »

They are updating this motel. The room I stayed for one night was not updated but clean and the beds were firm. The breakfast was fine and the wi-fi was easy and fast. The staff was nice. My only problem was the military helicopters going over our room every 15 minutes from 6:30 to 11:30 PM. They started again about 9 am. As I was speaking to one of the staff outside my room , one of the copters flew over, I swear I could see the pilots eyes they are that close. The staff member told me they sometimes feel they are landing in the motels parking lot. But other than that I would stay again. Good value for 1 night.

« A Good base for visiting Savannah »

Cheerful, pleasant helpful staff, the hotel provided easy and quick access to Downtown Savannah. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool was open in April. The cooked breakfast was good.

    « Convenient and clean »

BWC is very conveniently located about 8 miles from the historic district of Savannah. It is clean with about 300 rooms on 2 levels. Front desk staff were very efficient and friendly. It was hot during our stay so you had to run the air conditioner which was loud. Bed is comfortable and room is fine. Breakfast is quite generous with choices of waffles, eggs and biscuits with gravy, yogurt, bagels, bread & pastries, dry cereals. Good price for value. They also have discounts and a shuttle to some of the downtown activities which is worth checking out.

    « Very Pleasant stay »

Just passing through to go home to Virginia. Very clean . Best hotel we have stayed in yet. For the price it was excellent. Very convienant to pretty much anything you would want. They are remodeling but the costruction area is away from where guest are staying. Recommend it highly.

« Clean, Quiet and Convenient »

We stayed here for two nights during a recent visit to Savannah. The hotel is an easy 10-15 minute drive to the historic district, depending on the time of day. I was a little concerned when we arrived since all the doors open to the outside and the parking lot was pretty full, but we never heard a sound during our stay. No doors slamming, people talking outside, noise from adjoining rooms, etc. It was quiet. The room was also clean and fairly comfortable given the price paid. The breakfast was nothing special, but it is free. There were the usual - pastries, coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, scrambled eggs and sausage. They were a little slow in replenishing items but it did get done. For the price, this is a good place to stay and it is convenient to the surrounding areas of Savannah.

    « Adequate motel - nothing special »

This motel (as I will call it since the rooms open to the parking lot) was clean, but we thankfully were out a lot sightseeing since it wasn't very spacious. Our hair dryer and coffee maker didn't work and I reported these when we checked out so I can't comment on how quickly they make repairs. There were 4 of us in our room and they only gave us 3 sets of towels each day. There was a fridge and microwave in the room which was nice. The breakfast was pretty good (same each day). Make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits/gravy, sausage, and the other normal items. The last day they finally had yogurt. Our kids liked the chocolate chip muffins, the honey buns, and the hot chocolate that I made by warming milk in the microwave. They had apples & oranges, but no other fruit. When we checked in the front desk staff was kind of rude, but we didn't see that person again during our stay. Everyone else was nice. Be prepared for the staff to clean your room very quickly when you leave they are waiting to pounce when you open your door. They cleaned our room the first day while we were at breakfast which I thought was a little weird. The other days we ate earlier and they waited to clean until after we left for the day. Not a bad location - lots of other hotels nearby and lots of restaurants in the general vicinity. A little pricey in comparison to other Best Westerns in other locations.

« Best western Central Inn is the Best hotel in Savannah »

Best western Central Inn is the Best hotel in Savannah. It is located at central place, from where you can access all public facilities like Bus transport, Airport, Food malls, Shopping malls, Cinema halls and lastly it is very near to Tybee Beach. For in hotel are very fresh and air conditioner newly colored, room are cleaned properly every day. And nice and cooperative hotel staff. Hotel is fully equipped with free Wi-Fi, Parking, Complementary breakfast etc. You can access all tourist places in Savannah easily from this hotel because it is centrally located in city. I have stayed 7 day here and enjoyed lot....

    « Comfortable Stay »

We stopped in Savannah on the way to Florida from Virginia. I had just come off of a 12 hour night shift and made the 7 hour drive down. The front desk employee was kind enough to allow us to check in a couple hours early so I could take a shower before we went out. The room was clean and comfortable and in a great location. The only thing keeping me from giving the hotel 5 stars is the fact that the breakfast was inedible. The biscuits were hard and the scrambled eggs did not taste like eggs nor were they a consistency I had ever encountered before. All in all, it was a great stay and I will certainly stay there again.

« Trip Advisor Was Right »

Newly remodeled and clean, the high ratings and great deal were what drew us to this property. Excellent location and friendly staff. Thought we were in a Hampton Inn for half the price. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept on.

    « Great hotel...newly renovated »

I found this hotel on line. I read the description and reviews and decided to book for 2 days with the idea that if it was satisfactory I'd extend our stay there. It was way more than satisfactory so we ended up staying there for our entire vacation. It was just recently renovated and the rooms look lovely. The hop on hop off sightseeing trolley tour shuttle stops right at the front door. There is a hot breakfast buffet every morning. The price is reasonable and the hotel is located just far enough away from downtown Savannah so you can relax and not be involved with the hustle and bustle but are close enough to zip in to see the sights and go to the restaurants. I hope the hotel remains as lovely as it is now.

    « Good choice! »

We booked on somewhat short notice, and were pleased with the location, a very easy drive to the historic district. The price was good, parking was free, and breakfast was fine. Staff helped us find the Green Truck Pub, also recommended. Room was super clean and beds were comfortable. We stayed in a renovated room on the second floor. Quiet, even on a Friday night.

    « Historic Savannah Visit »

Positives: Fairly standard accommodations and rooms. Negatives: Bathroom had mold in it, the standing mirror was dirty, toilet had no suction and beds were fairly uncomfortable. The rooms were also very dark even with all the lights turned on. Recommendation: I would not recommend staying here.

    4
    « Great stay »

Hotel was modern and clean. No complaints. Breakfast was adequate. (Cereals, toast, pastries) 10 minute drive to downtown savannah. 10 minute walk to shopping centre. Area seems safe. Overall would recommend.

    « Excellent mid-town location »

Deciding where to overnight in Savannah was a tough process. Downtown was convenient but very expensive. Staying outside of the core was more economical but would it be inconvenient. Turns out BWI midtown met all our needs. The room itself was clean, quiet and well equipped. I worried about proximity to the air field but I heard nothing in the evening. The location was just fine in terms of access to the city. You could actually walk to the historic town but we didn't fancy a meander that day so we drove and found a great free parking spot near were we lunched. I expect this was a rare find but there are ample parking garages too. We absolutely recommend BWI midtown Savannah! We intend to stay again on our next visit. And the breakfast was delicious.

    « Savannah Music Festival »

I stayed here in conjunction with the Savannah Music Festival. Most of my group stayed downtown near the Lucas Theater. I booked my own room since I was driving and wished to stay an extra day. Very pleased with my choice.

It was a nice stay and Savannah is nice. The room was clean and nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The free wi-fi was nice in the room and the pool was also nice. We had a great continental breakfast and then left for a ride around Savannah on a trolley.

« quick stop before settling in downtown »

I chose this property as I knew I would be arriving late at night and just needed to get some sleep before settling in down in the historic district. this property is convenient to many restaurants and shops and easily reached off of highways. bed was comfortable and there were more than enough choices for the complimentary breakfast. small outdoor pool available as well. all staff encountered were accommodating. asked for one hour late checkout as my phone charger died and I needed to run and buy one, then charge up before leaving hotel. while shopping, cleaners thought I was gone and began room cleaning. not sure how my luggage in room did not tip them off I was still checked in... there was an empty water bottle (which I wanted to keep and refill!) on the table and a few other items i intended to trash, but all were removed from room. at that point they must have realized I did not check out and they left. (with gratuity). I nearly left more $$ as I thought I had not yet left any $, but realized they had been in room when I saw items on table were gone. not a big deal as none of my property was missing. one major room issue was the fact that j discovered right before leaving that the toilet never flushed after use and when I went to use again right before checkout, I discovered the issue. I told front desk and they were very apologetic. I used facilities in the lobby and was on my way. not sure if I would stay again but the price is very reasonable and not that far of a drive from historic district. if you are going for the tourist area, there are some reasonable choices down there as well

    4
« Convenient to attractions in city »

Came to Savannah for the Womens Half Marathon. Although this hotel was not in the historic district near Forsythe Park, it was a short drive (less than5 miles) to the race. I would stay here again. It was convenient to restaurants and shopping.

    5
    « Brilliant value »

This hotel is excellent value for money. It is a little bit out of town but one of the tour companies offers a shuttle for the hop on hop off bus. Public transport is accessible and easy to use. There is a shopping center nearby. The staff are very helpful and the roons are clean, well renovated with comfortable beds. Overall a fantastic hotel.

    « Great place! »

This was a great motel! I used credit card points to book the room. They only had a smoking room available and we took it. You could not even tell it was a smoking room! My wife is very sensitive and had no problem with it! Very clean inside and out! Hot breakfast was great and staff are very friendly! Will stay again!

    « Nice cheap option »

We stayed two nights while visiting Savannah. It actually surprised me how nice it was. The location is nice and it is about 20 minutes to downtown historic Savannah. The rooms are recently remodeled and the breakfast was ok. The only thing that was creepy was in the bathroom it looked like it was a exhaust fan but you could actually see through it and there was a hallway. I don't know if the just haven't finished that part in the remodeling or not, but it was a little creepy to me. Over all I would say for the money it was a decent stay.

Stayed 2 nights at the BW while stopping in Savannah. Was pleasantly surprised. Recently updated and very clean. Staff was curteous and extremly helpful. Nice complimentary breakfast. Good value for the $$. Bonus, Old Savannah Tours has a pickup spot in front of the hotel. You can park your car and sightsee on one of the many tours. Would reccomend BW to all.

« Best Western Mid City Savannah »

Stayed two nights at the Best Western. Great location and less then a third of what you would pay to stay downtown in the historic district. Very clean and well maintained. Free wifi. And an easy 15 minute ride to downtown. Took a hop on hop off trolley so had free parking for the day. Just be prepared for a very loud noise as the planes landing at the adjacent Hunter Field air base make quite a racket.

    « I came back! »

I have used this hotel several times over the past 2 years and will continue to do so. They have been redecorating the facility and "it's lookin' good"! The rooms are fresh and clean. The lobby is comfy-nice stuffed furniture with a great fireplace. Breakfast is always inclusive of both hot and cold choices. This trip I had to leave prior to time for breakfast to begin, as did several others. They had coffee and cold choices ready so that we could have something prior to departure. One of the reasons I use this Best Western is for the park and shuttle to airport service. They are always prepared and efficient with their service. I will continue to use this Best Western. Thanks guys for providing a welcome place for me.

« Great hotel for old military buffs. »

The hotel is a good value . And location is very good. but the best thing I like is the hotel is in the flight path for Hunter Army air field . The C130s do tough and goes. I've stayed here before and it's always good for the price.

    « Great stay »

The room was clean, the Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location is good, right near the Mall, and eating and shopping centers, about 15 minutes from the Historic District. It was my Mother, Daughter and myself, 3 women, and we felt very safe. We had requested a bottom floor when we booked, since my Mother is in a Wheelchair and had not problems when checking in. My only concerns were, the cable reception was fuzzy on the TV and the internet was extremely slow and at times wouldn't work at all. Also, since we were unaware that the Hotel was located next to a Military landing strip for planes and helicopters, we were worried and concerned about all the helicopters overhead every 10 minutes or so. Aside from these concerns, we had a wonderful stay.

    3
« Airport right next to it! »

If it wasn't for the airplanes zooming by at all hours this would have gotten a better rating from me. Its clean, staff friendly. wifi works good. Location great for price. And price is worth it. We paid 74$ through Booking.com for the night for the 4 of us. Double bed room first floor. Ps neither vending machine worked on location and there is construction going on at this time.

« Going to give it 4 based on outstanding efforts made »

Visited Savanah for St Pats 2016, first time ever. BW has not let us down in other states so it was a no brainier for the price and the distance to the Historic District. We do not care for outside entrance hotels, the noise level is higher; never mind the airplane landing on the roof. The condition of the hotel was great considering the age. The manager was very nice and accommodating, the housekeeping staff were so friendly and attentive. The breakfast attendant was welcoming and engaging with guests; breakfast selection basic but clean and fresh! Yes I said fresh! The overall on the room is that it was clean, very clean and has been redecorated well. The drain in the shower could have worked faster but again it's not a new building. The outside staff were busy cleaning the pool area when we arrived and the manager was attentive to their actions. The hotel is located near a nice mall with good Dept stores and a cute retro diner across the street, also a selection of gas stations. It's not the Hilton but if you are traveling I'm a group or on a budget and don't want tone motel 6, choose to stay at BW Central.

    « A strong 4 - newly renovated. Nice continental breakfast. »

We stayed here and everything was pretty good. The breakfast had something for everyone. The staff was professional. We used the patio tables next to the pool. It wasn't heated from what we could tell. It was a pleasant stay! The last night I shut the A/C off and slept much better. I wasn't used to that sound while sleeping.

    3
« Good Little Motel Outside of the Historic District »

Well...it's average. We had a typical room with double beds, a sink, a toilet, microwave, and a fridge. I will say this much. The pictures need to updated on many of these websites because it actually looks a lot better on the outside than it does on the inside. That's not necessarily a bad thing either. They have a small pool, which was nice, but that's about it. The Old Savannah Tour bus comes once a day at 8:30 AM and doesn't return until about 4:00 PM. So, if you're inclined to hang around the Historic District all day, then that's great. Otherwise, you might want to just drive to the Visitor's Center. But the fact that a tour company even comes to the motel, is a nice plus, considering you're about 5+ miles from the Historic District. Another bonus is that if you leave something home, no fear. This motel is all about location, location, location. The Oglethorpe Mall is about 3 miles away. Kroger is about the same distance. You can basically come out of the motel, turn right onto Eisenhower, and make another right at the light and you're there. Another strip mall is on the right if you go straight down on Eisenhower. Seriously, if you're a walker, you could walk there. The convenience of restaurants (because of the shopping) is at your finger tips. Whoever owns this place really knew what they were doing when they placed it here. Now, onto the actual room itself. It was average. There's nothing much I can really say about that. The carpet was clean, which was a bonus because I specifically walk around with white socks for my "nasty floor" test. With a six-year old, I have to be concerned. Luckily, the Best Western passed with flying colors. While the bathroom was clean, the walls were not. In some places, it looked like someone had taken a dirty cloth, wiped it, but never bothered to go back over it once the water dried and left the brown stains. They were a distraction because I wondered what I couldn't see whenever I took my shower. But on that same note, the cleaning staff and the front desk staff were very nice. Even the woman who runs the breakfast area. She kept the going at all times, making sure everyone's needs were met. Overall, it was nice, though not enough to make me want to stay again. Not because of anything anyone had done or did not to. With it being an average motel, I'd be inclined to see what other motels/hotels in this area have to offer, too.

    « don't stay here! »

overpriced with poor quality, definitely suggest to go to Clarion Inn for cheaper rate and higher quality. Rooms and service was very poor compare to its price!! Location is not good, overall very disappointed!

« Perfect name "Central" for this location. »

Very nice clean updated rooms. Quiet location, not near downtown or freeway. About a 15-20 minute drive into the historic district. Very nice breakfast served here, choice of waffles, eggs, sausage , bagels, toast, oatmeal or grits. You will find whatever you are yearning for here.

    4
    « Squeaky clean! »

Realizing this is an older building, it was immaculate inside. The bathroom was divided, which was okay, but it's really tight where the commode and shower are. Yet, squeaky clean nevertheless. Vanity area was spacious. There are exterior entrances, and the outside is a little dated but it's a great find in this historic city.

« Perfect place for visiting downtown Savannah »

Great price, comfortable room, nice breakfast. Very easy to get downtown via the Thomas A. Dewey Hwy. About a ten minute drive. Much better than dealing with local traffic on regular streets. Free parking after 5 and easy to walk all around.

« great value and very up to date renovated property »

I was amazed at the renovations and updates of the rooms and outside of the property. Very nice. Breakfast was good with eggs and sausage biscuits as well as the other usual items. The staff was A+. They helped with a HoHo bus tour and honored the special request on our reservations. A very above average experience for such a great price.

    3
    « OK but that's all. »

The attitude of the guy at the desk set a bad tone. The room was OK, recently renovated with plastic still on the door. We took a walk around but dining was limited so we ate in the room and then got ready for bed. An hour or so later someone returned who wanted to remove the plastic but we were ready for bed so sent him away. In the morning, breakfast was meager, cold and unattended. Tables were dirty, no regular coffee, eggs not replenished. I'd suggest dining out.

« Quick Stay in Savannah »

Needed a place to stay one night on our way to Florida. Surprised to find a simple, clean room with a comfortable bed and large shower. Everything you can imagine to eat or shop at is just minutes away, downtown Savannah just 10 or 15 minutes. Definitely recommend!

« Great Place to Stay in Savannah »

The room was large, very clean, well appointed and most of all, very reasonable in price. The front desk staff were awesome. The location is close to Hunter Army Air Field and you will hear aircraft and helicopters during the day, but I never noticed them after 7 or 8 in the evening. Spent three nights there and will definitely return in the near future. Plus the free breakfast is fantastic, Waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and much more.

    « Not the same »

OK my family and I stayed here before and it was a good stay. This time however not so good. The lady behind the desk had the funkiest attitude. She snapped answers at us. So the manager in the room behind her came out and assisted us. He was very helpful. We booked our rooms online that specified non smoking rooms guess what rooms they gave us. The rooms reeked so bad we had two small children with us as well. We asked for different rooms but they were booked. The continental breakfast was pretty bad that stay as well. Our plan was to stay two days but we only stayed one.

    5
« Great value for the price »

Nice clean rooms at a fair price. I've stayed here before and had a pleasant experience. Bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. Appointments were up to date, if not flashy. Location was convenient to much of Savannah. Hunter AFB is nearby and the planes can be noisy in the evening. However, I never heard them after midnight. Breakfast has improved since my last stay since they offered scrambled eggs and sausage in addition to the continental fare. I will return.

This hotel is centrally located near the historic area of Savannah. It was comfortable with a spacious room with Wi-Fi, and the staff was friendly and helpful. « Nice base for the visitor »

Heading north, we wanted to visit Savanah for a few days and picked Best Western Central for our three day base. It looks to have been around for a long while, but it seems to be ongoing with updates from rooms to reception. Our room on the main level was perfect for a place to hang our hat at the end of a day of visiting the city. The staff was full of southern hospitality, everyone was friendly, attentive to any inquiries which made us feel very welcome. The breakfast spread is more than enough to get you on your way and the shuttle for the trolley tour will pick you up at the door. There are a few restaurants walking distance as well as a corner store/gas bar to pick up snacks.

« Older style motel. Very clean. »

Stayed at this Best Western as I am collecting rewards points for this chain. It is located on a large corner lot. It is reasonably priced. Offers free wifi and complimentary breakfast with hot food and the usual breakfast buffet with cereals, bagels, toast, juice, coffee etc. The room was spacious, but the bathroom is tiny with the tub/shower and toilet in a small room, sink and counter are at the end of the room outside the tub room. Includes microwave, fridge with small freezer. I like the freezer feature as we travel with a picnic and I like to refreeze the freezer packs that I use when I can. This is an older motel that has been nicely upgraded and is spotlessly clean. I loved being on the ground floor with the drive up convenience of parking our car outside our door. I think this motel is located near a military facility because the first night we were here a jet plane flew overhead and it sounded very low. The noise was deafening. Fortunately, there were only 3 or 4 planes. We did not hear them again during our two night stay.

    « Always nice »

This hotel is always clean and neat. The staff is top notch and will help with any issue. The breakfast is great! It is close to various attractions, eating and shopping. Excellent place to hang for a few days.

« Fantastic motel for the price! »

This motel far exceeded our expectations! The price was so modestly low for the value! Been traveling around the east for three weeks and have stayed at many budget motels and some no so budget. This was the best of them all! The room and the grounds were pristine! And only a few minutes from the historic district! Stay with confidence! Save your money!!

Clean & comfortable room. No surprises, room well equipped. I will book this hotel for my next stay in Savannah. I will rate this hotel as one of the best values in Savannah. J.S. Moore / J. S. Moore Group

It is worth its price. If you just want to stay in a place and your main aim to visit city or place where the hotel is located in, this is best choice for you. Breakfast is not the best, but it will get you by lunch.

« Don't let the cops scare you »

Pulled into parking lot and saw two police cars. The officers were in the lobby with a wildly gesturing man. Extreme fatigue made me risk going in to see what was going on before I moved to another hotel. Turns out the man's Baby Mamma had left and stuck him with the bill. No reason to feel threatened. So I checked in. Evening shift employee was very friendly and helpful. The grounds appeared well kept in the 10:00 p.m. lighting. My room was on the back side of the building which could have felt creepy but ,because of the fully fenced lot ,didn't. Room was clean. Bed was a little squishier than I like but the rate was great so I slept pretty well. I just ran in to get some coffee before hitting the road so I can't say much about the breakfast. I did notice scrambled eggs and gravy. The breakfast room was pretty crowded so it seems it was acceptable to many guests. If you're a person who enjoys turn down service this isn't the place for you but if you enjoy a clean bed, coffee in the morning and a chance to eavesdrop on someone else's drama, I recommend a stay at Best Western Central Inn.

Comparing to the Baymont hotel it was more expensive.and in less condition. Baymont hotel was even better as our friends stayed there. The hotel was 250 $ more than that for a day. The hotel had mosquito that its still hitching after a week.

    « Excellent »

Only stayed 1 night but out of all the hotels we stayed at during our 8 day trip, this one was the best. Everything was really clean and nicely decorated. When I go back to Florida, I would definitely stop at this location again and look at other best western locations in the future.

    « Good Value »

We did not expect more, based on the price. Although not a fancy motel, it satisfied the basic needs It was clean and the upkeep was good. You could tell, the owners take pride in their property, Cleaning staff was excellent,

« A cheap room for cheap price »

This is a good example of "you get what you pay for". There was a king-size bed and it was ok. There was heat but the fan was extremely loud. There was a TV. There was a sink, shower, toliet, and a refridgerator. However, there was no batteries in the TV channel changer, there was no luggage rack, there was no table or desk, there was no internet security. The room was small and noisey. Breakfast stopped at 09:00 and I am on vacation. The best I can say about the property is that it is located near some really fine restuarants.

    « Vacation with Grandaughter »

We chose this motel because it was close to the tour company for our trip into downtown historical sites. The room was average, nothing exceptional. Breakfast area small and crowded. Food was okay. Motel not in a great area. Nice pool.

Nice hotel, close to what I needed. Good option if your are traveling to Savannah and do not want to pay for a pricey downtown hotel. Facilities are clean and organized. Very good breakfast. Quiet and peaceful.

This Best Western is a great value for a clean room with very comfortable beds. We have back problems and yet we were extremely comfortable and slept through the night. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

    « Great Staff »

The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I particularly liked the fact that the breakfast hostess would inform the guests of the weather and any upcoming events.

    « Very Good Hotel »

It was only about a 10 minute drive into Savannah but much cheaper than staying downtown. It is more of a motel setup. The room was very clean. The bed was also very comfortable. The breakfast was adequate and simple. The staff was very nice. I would definitely look into staying here again if I came back to Savannah.

    « Book without hesitation »

This is a very clean hotel, it is run and staffed by kind and friendly employees. Breakfast gets quite busy, arrive early. I did research and the property gets good marks from the state inspectors. Judging by how full the lot was with late model nice cars many others feel the same way.

    « Fine... »

Lets be realistic... The rooms were clean and staff was very nice. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff member who served (a young lady) was more than hospitable. The hotel is about 10 minutes away from the downtown historic district. However, this hotel was merely a "motel" with some paint, granite and caulk added to it. If you're looking for 5-star accommodations, this would not be a recommendation. If youre looking for clean sheets, towels and a hardy breakfast close to downtown with a reasonable price, you have found your destination. Just an fyi on breakfast... sausage, scrambled eggs, "make-your-own" waffles, biscuits, gravy, juice, coffee, cereal and Danish were served.

    « Mixed Feelings »

The room had been updated and was clean but the front wall appeared to be paper thin. This hotel caters to a lot of trade workers. Someone started up their diesel pickup truck outside our window at 3:30AM and let it warm up for 20 minutes before finally leaving. Tough getting back to sleep after that wake-up "call". The bed was tired as I was. On the plus side, breakfast was made very enjoyable by the attendant who gave everyone an update on the weather forecast and outlines what there was to see in the City. Real initiative on her part.

    « Enjoyed Our Stay »

I chose this hotel based on the reviews from booking.com. My husband liked this place for two reasons. First he still smokes so he was able to walk right outside whenever he needed to without having to walk through hallways or the lobby. The second was the breakfast that was included. They served eggs, bacon, waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, bagels and the list goes on. The rooms have been remodeled and the bed was comfortable,

« Good place to stay »

We came for the weekend after staying in downtown Savannah at a much pricier hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We love the free breakfast at BWs, which is why we chose this location. It was a little noisy due to the base air traffic, but was not bad enough to prevent sleep. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Free parking. And you'll want a car to see sights or get dinner.

    « None Better »

I've been staying at this facility for over 10 years. It's by far the best managed, most well kept and best staff. The facility for it's age is exttremely clean and always being upgraded. The value, better than any considering location, cleanliness and service. While close to the Hunter Air Base, it goes quiet around 9PM. The area is safe, quiet and very comfortable.

« Bed Bugs and Poor Customer Service. »

My boyfriend and I stayed at Best Western Central Inn and we had a horrible experience. Our room was infested with bedbugs! We didn't notice right away, as it takes a few days for the bites to develop. But after the third night, it was obvious we had bedbugs as my boyfriend was covered in bites. We searched the bed and sure enough we found bedbugs. We took pictures (see below) and went to the front desk staffer. She was not apologetic or helpful and gave us an attitude about getting a refund. She did give us 1 free night, but should we really have to pay for 2 nights we spent in a room infested with bedbugs? We also spent over $500 on new luggage, laundering and dry cleaning clothes, going to urgent care (due to my boyfriend's allergic reaction to the bites) and taking allergy medications. We did not ask them to cover any of this, just that we shouldn't have to pay for our awful stay there. We called the manager too later (he was supposed to call us, but did not) and he was not anymore helpful. We called the health department to have them take a look at the room, but hopefully Best Western sanitizes the room before then so no one else is inflicted with this. Based on the experience here, we will never stay here again. Getting bedbugs was bad enough, but not giving a customer who got bedbugs at your hotel a full refund or even a basic apology is completely unacceptable.

    « Highly recommend »

Everything went well. Clean room that is very modern. Check-in was easy and the receptionist was quite friendly. Bed comfortable. The breakfast was very good and included fresh scrambled eggs, fresh biscuits and gravy as well as fruit, yogurt, cereal and waffles among other things. The woman who fixed the food gave great info on area sights and transportation. She was very friendly and helpful. This was the best place in which I stayed during my two week vacation. I highly recommend it.

Good location with very friendly and helpful staff. Everything was clean and modern. It is located close to downtown and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The service was top-notch. The hotel and grounds were lovely. The room was very comfortable for our 4 days stay. The breakfast had a great selection of items to choose from, I especially liked the sausage, eggs and biscuits. It is easy to get around town and out to the island from this hotel.

My stay was great the staff was friendly. The hotel charge me twice and I haven't received a refund want every stay here again the place is a ripoff. Don't book your hotel on booking .com you will never be happy you will be charge even if you cancelled your booking. Very disappointed.

This was an excellent choice for our trip To Savannah - less than 10 scenic minutes drive to the historic Downtown area - Nice pool - good restaurants in the area and easy to get to. Very good value for what you pay and very clean rooms and well kept property.

Close to the historic district, all types of shopping and restaurants. They serve a hot breakfast every morning and the staff here is so professional, courteous and make sure you have everything you need!

    « Decent »

Economical, decent place to stay. Well worn but well kept. It is a ways from downtown but the roads are easy to navigate so only takes about 10 minutes to get downtown. If you don't want to drive, the hop on hop off trolley will shuttle you to their depot and for a few bucks will take you all over town to the important places. Very convenient. Rooms were spacious, clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable and bath acceptable. Breakfast was good and personnel were very helpful.

« Great for the price! »

There wasn't anything special about the hotel, however they were nice and the facility was clean. Me and my wife stayed here. It was at a great price as well. We didn't use the pool or anyof the other facilities. We would recommend it to anyone.

    « Nice stay »

This hotel was found via a travel app. It was a little away fro downtown but we were able to take a shuttle to the Trolley Tour. Very convenient!! Hotel was comfortable and clean. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the touring of Savannah. Only negative is that military helicopters flew overhead until 10 pm...if you want an early night it won't happen here!

    « Excellent... for a Best Western! »

My wife almost filed for divorce when I told her we were staying at a Best Western that I had booked due to little downtown availability and the needed for multiple rooms at a reasonable price. Of the 'value' hotels available, I relied on the favorable TripAdvisor ratings to pick this hotel. Kudos to management and staff for maintaining an impeccably clean and tidy hotel, despite the fact that it is an older property which limits amenities/aesthetics. Even the parking lot was really nice! Relative to low expectations, this Best Western far exceeded them and warrants a Very Good TripAdvisor rating. I'll advise, however, that the free breakfast offering/operation was very much the usual low budget fare unworthy of favorable distinction. In the end, no divorce papers were filed and even my wife had a few positive things to say about the property and staff!

    « Worth going off I-90 »

It was worth going about 15 minutes off I-90 to get here; easy, too. Nice property, convenient to downtown, but much cheaper & more convenient (parking, etc.) than staying downtown. A great "discount" place to stay - will stay again.

« Good Economical stay for Savannah »

For a tourist visit to Savannah, this hotel was OK. It is a little way out of town but it is an easy drive. We parked each day at the Whitaker Street Garage which was very convenient and not too expensive. In all, I would say for a budget visit to the beautiful, but expensive, city of Savannah, this hotel was very acceptable. The hotel itself was, clean, comfortable and friendly.

« Great place for quick stay for couple nights »

Neighborhood is decent and not far off the main road. Its place I would utilize to quick stay for shower and sleeping. Room was decent. Walls were thin and outside noises were easily heard. I heard breakfast was good but woke up too late to try.

« Stay around the Savannah area »

This was a nice place to stay outside of the Savannah historic area. It meant driving into the center of Savannah but the difference of pricing made if worth it. The Central Inn was clean and everyone was friendly and helpful.

« Motel with loud fly bys »

Motel with parking outside rooms and people locking their cars numerous times so the beeps could be heard. Loud and low fly bys by planes early evening til 9:30 pm. When I booked room for business requested quiet room. No. Everything h quiet through night, bed ok and AC worked well. Room very old and dated. People at desk asked my name 3 times when checking in, did not pay attention the first 2. Hotels in this area are pricey but I'll pay a little more next time.

« Excellent place to stay. »

Rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed several days and requested that the room not be cleaned every day. When we would come back to the motel the staff would see that we were back and come to the room to see if see needed extra towels or toiletries. They were very attentive to all our needs.

    « Another Successful Stay... »

Best Western Central Inn is my "go to" accommodation when I visit the Savannah area. It is central to everything I want/need to do. I cannot say anything detrimental about my recent stays (9 nights this year on 3 separate occasions).

    5
    « EXCELLENT STAY »

Stay was excellent, staff was excellent . Great breakfast, good location.. Very clean and very comfortable, would recommend to everyone. Very secure and staff very helpful, plan a future trip and will stay at same location.

« Good Value For the Money »

Was only spending a night in Savannah. This hotel was clean. More set up like a motel with two floors. Could park right outside the door....no long luggage pulling! The price was very reasonable. Staff was very friendly. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection which included scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits with gravy. Only about 15 minutes driving to historic section of town. Have a shuttle that picks you up at the hotel for tours downtown. Very clean in room and lobby. Would stay there again for another short stay.

    « Good Value »

The Central Inn is about 7 miles from the Historic District, but on a main road that gets you from the Inn to the District in about 15 minutes. Rooms appear to have been updated recently and are spotless. The staff is helpful and friendly. The included breakfast includes eggs, waffles and more.

Stay there for two nights, hotel was clean, staff at the front desk at check in not very friendly, better at check out, breakfast was fine the lady handling the station was very friendly and attentive. The location good, a 10 minutes drive to downtown. The only complaint our room was not clean after our our first night. We put our "please clean room" sign, however not done.
