"Poor quality of hotel - good food"
I am here putting a review for the Lancelot 3* hotel. I was never informed that I needed to pick up the key of my hotel bedroom at the 4* sister hotel… do I trust this is wrong process and not welcoming. The 3* building is isolated, without staff, and very cold, not only in atmosphere but also in temperature. (Was in winter time) . The bedroom was clean but the heating process took a while…. I won't go back to the 3* hotel.. I guess only the 4* might be worth it… but, a hotel is a hotel.. when a guest is paying, they are entitled for a good service. I guess, the 3* people are ignored … if you guys can't take care of that building, just close it down and focus on only the 4* one. Now, the restaurant. I actually enjoyed the food!!! Not only dinner but breakfast. Dinner quality and taste was very good (best potimaron soup I ever had, I have to say, very tender veal too…) This is certainly the only positive point I d like to develop here. Well done on that
"Far from the standard advertised!"
Hotel is dated and did not reach our expectations. The breakfast food was cold (sausage, bacon, eggs). The room needed to be revamped, there were holes in the curtains and lights out in the bathroom. The Spa areas were not clean and needed maintenance. There was work being carried out on the grounds which we were not informed of before our stay. On a plus note dinner was excellent with amazing food and service.
"Poor facilities and poor customer service."
I was booked in for a spa treatment as a birthday gift from my husband. I arrived early so I could swim and use the jacuzzi before hand. The spa practioner told me to shower after my swim and be in the reception 5 minutes early for my treatment. 20 minutes later after standing waiting in a cold wet dressing gown I had to take the lift up to reception to find out what had happened to the masseur, very awkward and embarrassing.. I was no longer in the mood for a massage and told them I wasn't happy with the service and would be leaving. When I returned to get my things the practioner appeared and was less than apologetic telling me sometimes one has to wait and that the previous client had arrived late. I explained that if I'd been informed of that I would not have been there 5 minutes before the appointed time. I also explained that for 125€ I would expect to feel pampered, safe and comfortable, not cold wet, confused and embarrassed. She said I would have to pay still and dashed to reception to ensure they charged me. Imagine my husbands dismay, expecting me to be relaxed and happy instead of angry and upset. Poor facilities and very poor customer service. Won't be going there again.
"Lovely place, barman must improve."
Lovely hotel with excellent views of Golf Course. Will definitely come back again. However, staff at Birdy Bar must learn what a Gin and Tonic means. Not offering yesterday's tonic for today's drink! However this would not stop me from returning!
"Outstanding service on the hottest(42C) day of the year/century!"
Lovely location overlooking the Lac au Duc and the hydrangea walk with its artwork installations. It's an ideal spot for the children with beach and a variety of water activities a five minute drive away. We, two grandparents, two parents, a toddler aged 2 and a 10 week old baby, had booked a “cottage”/“chalet” as it was air conditioned and the forecast was for 42C. Unfortunately the air conditioning only worked downstairs leaving the upstairs an absolute furnace. We approached reception and after a protracted but amiable discussion we were, free of charge, offered a second cottage. This was a decent gesture and prevented what might have been a night of considerable concern. We feel that this was the best act of service we have ever experienced and we congratulate and thank the staff involved in this decision.
"Does the job, not more"
We went to Le Roi Arthur for a busines meeting. It's a nice location at the heart of Britanny. Room are functional, nothing much to say. Staff was friendly yet moderately efficient. Food was uneven. All this makes it ok for offsite meetings but not more.
Hello, thank you for your message. I could have answered sooner just to inform you that some of your colleagues enjoyed very much your seminar and put very good notes on some other networks. Good notes about the staff and about food. I just want to be discret about the name of your firm ( a very wellknown and very appreciated Firm in France and all over the world). Even your big Boss liked it very much (surrounding and services, he told me). Please come again and I'm sure you'll appreciate. Yours Faithfully, Mrs Le Saux
"Silent, but reception and breaky in Roi Arthur, a lot of walking"
It is nicely situated, but at arrival we were informed that the reception and also the restaurant is in Hotel Roi Arthur, not far away, but need some time. Very positively, the restaurant operation time was over, but we received some salad and cold platter - good. The room was silent, everything there, not very big, but ok. Nice shower, a good bed and some space ina wardrobe were also great. People were polite and helpful - if your room card doesnt work, call the reception and some minutes later someone will come and help. Honestly? I dont like to walk through the rain for my breaky...but this is the only complain I have.
