Very nice hotel. Good pool, great breakfasts, excellent staff. I would stay there again if I had a reason to go to the Palm Springs area. The weather was perfect, the Breakfast staff, maintenance crew and front desk people were all great. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained.
The hot water was warm, at best. We were moved to another room and told the hot water worked fine. They never checked the water because when we turned it on, the shower head sprayed water all over ther floor and ceiling. They replaced the head but the hot water still didn't work. I have no respect for hotel staff that are unfriendly and lie to their guests. I stay at Best Westerns across the US and this was my worst experience.
Hands down, the worst mattress and pillows I have ever had in a hotel room. Mattress was rock hard and pillows were hard and clumpy. The rest of the room was standard and inn working order. Breakfast was served and had a few options. Servers were a super nice lady and a super cranky guy. Pool was a good size but had pretty dirty walls and people were smoking around it
Rooms a bit tired. First room had noisy clicking A/C so we were moved to alternative. This had a broken safe, tiles coming off the wall behind the bath and balcony chairs very tatty. There weren't enough parasols by the pool and of those two were broken. The plus side were the staff. Joey and his colleagues at reception together with the maintenance man at the pool were very helpful and cheerful and did their best to give us the most enjoyable experience possible. With improvements to the above this would be another “Best” Western hotel.
Great safe property. Very clean and well maintained. Terrific fresh made to order hot breakfast. Patient and fantastic management and staff. Very clean rooms and safe place to bring family. Bug free. Thank you for your hospitality. From room 127. thanks.
Stopped here for the evening on the way to San Diego from western Arizona. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was tasty. Everything was good - with the exception of not turning on the air conditioning ahead of time. That was just unacceptable. It was over 100° outside when we got in around 9 at night. I have heat intolerance medical concerns and never expected a hotel not to run air conditioning in such a hot place. The room was not bearable until around 1 AM. I called the desk and asked if it was normal to not run the air ahead of time and they said it was. That gave me no real recourse and I just had to deal with it. It was so hot that the provided body wash products practically boiled in the shower. The floors were even hot! The shampoo bottle was empty but that was minimal compared to the heat. While I understand this hotel is in the desert and it's extremely hot - in heat this extreme, they should at minimum run their A/C around 80° before guests arrive. The little room unit doesn't have the ability to spread the air around the room for hours if it's starting from being the outside temperature. We survived - but unless they change the air conditioning in the summer, we will certainly never stay here again.
Nice clean property. Quiet. Good free breakfast with cooked to order food with a variety of options. Nice pool but needs more shade. Big TV and comfortable bed but hard pillows. Mant good restaurants close by. Air conditioner worked well (It was 114*) and was very quiet. Plenty of free parking. Good value for the money.
Great property centrally located to both end of the valley. Hot free breakfast prepared by a cook and a great pool. I would recommend this hotel to everyone
Great value with the dog fee. Service and care of guests were excellent. Break fast good, plus a pool and gym. Plenty of parking and nearby restaurants you can walk too. Only negative is the thin walls, however most guests were quite.
I booked an ADA room which was the best ADA room I have stayed in for a long time. The bathroom showers are always a problem when it comes to the romovable shower head. Most are broken and the water pressure is usually "not there". However, this rooms' shower was suberb! The showerhead was easy to use and water pressure was wonderful! So thankful... The room was cosy and clean. The bed was not soft - wonderful for people with physical problems. I thoughly enjoyed my stay. The front desk people where very accomedating. Only three small issues that were negative: 1) the maids have a tendency to "talk loudly - actually scream" outside the lower area near their laundry room, 2) the maids were not informed I had a late checkout and were knocking at my door, 3) there is a swimming pool in the middle of the complex and over the weekend kids were screaming and dogs were barking having fun at the pool - I sleep very late so it would have woke me up, however I ALWAYS carry earplugs since I travel for a living - so it didn't bother me too much. Overall I will be staying at this hotel again!
This property is an amazing, affordable hotel. The amenities are exceptional for the room price. Your get a cooked to order breakfast for each day of your stay, The pool is nice to have to relax and cool off on a hot summer day. The location is key in my opinion for choosing. It is about a twenty minute drive from the Palm Springs Airport and a five minute drive to Indian Wells. It is close to shopping and excellent local restaurants. I this is my second stay and will certainly stay there on any trips to the Palm springs area .
The staff was courteous and helpful. Housekeeping was attentive. Slept well and the room was nice and cool, which was great because it was hot that weekend.
We have stayed here several times over the last 7 years or so. We always find the staff helpful and friendly. We really enjoy the made to order breakfast each morning. We find the air conditioning keeps us cool and comfortable and are able to sleep well. The pool and hot tub and the grounds are well maintained. Rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. We will stay here again.
The room is old, but appears to have been renovated. The AC works, but didn't cool till the temperature was set below 69. The shower temperature regulator was broken. So the water was either ice cold or boiling hot. The bed was very comfortable. The floor was vinyl plank. I think I was in a pet room room. But I didn't have a pet. The grounds looked well maintained along with the swimming pool and hot tub. The front desk staff were friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The cost for what your received was expensive.
The property is in a great location for exploring all of the Palm Springs area. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The made to order hot breakfast is great. Plenty of parking. Rooms have a balcony with seating to enjoy the weather and relax.
Clean and comfortable rooms. We loved the made to order breakfast each morning. The pool was closed when we were there. We had a fridge and microwave and coffee maker in our room so morning coffee was easy to make. Hot water took about 5 minutes to come after being turned on.
Such a hidden gem! Beautiful pool, clean and incredible staff! We have stayed here 3 times now and can't wait to get back. Perfect esvape from the rain and snow in Vancouver. Great location with lots of little places to eat.
While staying at the hotel we enjoyed a beautiful breakfast each morning. The pool was well kept and the property was well looked after. It was close to all the amenities we needed. The housekeeping did a wonderful job and we felt very welcomed by all the staff.
The sole reason for not giving a 10 rating was the hot water issue. When I called regarding no hot water, I was told to let the hot water run for at least five minutes and then hot water should be coming.Every time we wanted hot water to wash our hands, take a bath or shower we had to wait at least 5 minutes - typically longer in the morning. They has installed a new tankless water heater which apparently requires the extra time to produce hot water. We used the main facility to was h our hands before breakfast and after breakfast to save time.
The customer service is above and beyond. They treated us like house guests. The made to order breakfast is what keeps us coming back from Canada annually. The housekeeping staff upkeeps the rooms very well...older hotel so it's not fancy but beds are so very comfortable.
Enjoyed our annual trip to Palm Desert and the Best Western. Beginning with a friendly welcome and going to our very clean room. The breakfast the next morning was just as good as we remembered it with the addition of a new specialty coffee machine. The clean pool and hot tub are a nice amenity. As cyclist the location is great with many laned streets and rural areas to explore.
Overall, very nice hotel & good location. Great breakfast options with actual cooks making individual meals. If possible, request a room that does NOT have an adjoining door to another room. There is no sound barrier around the door. We could hear everything from next door through the door area. Was awakened early in the morning to music & noisy kids.
I had just finished shooting a wedding all day and was exhausted. The clerk behind the counter was very kind and helpful! Check in was quick and easy. My room was exceptionally clean and felt safe. The best part was breakfast - it was like ordering from an actual restaurant instead of the usual hotel breakfast [tho they had that too]. It turned out to be the perfect place to recoup after a long day.
Everything was super clean and spacious. I especially enjoyed the porch sitting area and that it was so close to the breakfast and pool areas! When logging into a zoom call, there was no problems with the internet and it was easy to establish.
We were welcomed upon our arrival, the representative explained everything about the services offered. Our room neat and clean, the bed was comfortable. The area was safe and secure. The breakfast was awesome, the menu items were made to order and tasty. We will be back next time we travel thru the area.
This place is perfectly centered to Palm Springs and Coachella! Planned a last minute trip to the desert and knew I would be able to get a room here. Never disappointed when I stay at a best western property. Staff is always happy and helpful! The fresh breakfast they cook is amazing! Definitely will be back!
The walls are paper thin and you can hear the guests in the connecting rooms speaking in a normal voice. The circuit breaker trips when the AC is set below 74°. They except pets, and the dogs barked all night.
We had a lovely stay here. Breakfast wos great. The rooms were clean and spacious. They felt like individual little cottages. We will definitely stay here again if we happen to pass through Palm Desert.
A one night stay in late August 2023. Rooms are very dark. The condition of the room was not comparable to BWPlus locations. Inadequate lighting available. It's very old and in need of renovation. TV would not turn on. The balcony was absolutely unacceptable. The compressor for the MiniSplit AC was mounted on the balcony!! The fans blow directly into the seating area render the balcony unusable. All the rooms on all three levels had the same AC configuration. So additionally, the courtyard was like walking in a furnace room. Would not recommend. The elevator mechanism bangs harshly when going up. Seems to be in need of professional adjustments.
We stayed for 4 nights, the breakfast choices were the best out of 4 other hotels we stayed in elsewhere. Room was spacious and quiet, all rooms are overlooking garden/swimming pool. Entry is from the car park side. Wi-Fi was ok, but it was disconnecting me quite often. In the room there is lots of storage space, big bathroom, very good and quiet air con. The hotel is located close to a few restaurants and Albertsons, otherwise short ride from everything else. Overall as a family we enjoyed our stay and cooling down from the heat in the pool.
I wish I didn't have to write this, but I am covered in mosquito bites from my shoulders all the way down to my toes! And you can't blame this on nature because these mosquitoes were in the first room that they put me in where the AC did not work. it was so hot and humid in that room and discussing it felt like Florida! They finally changed my room at about midnight to a better room, but there were mosquitoes in that room also. I understand I can't complain about the mosquitoes outside. I get that these mosquitoes were inside! They're either coming out of the drain or they're being wet in with the housekeepers keep the doors open for hours at a time. I am itchy all over. they need to call the Orkin man. I don't know what they need to do but it is not OK that I am fit from head to toe. They need to put out some mosquito traps. I have no clue I am furious! I can't even write a review about any of the positive things because I am beat from head to toe, covered in mosquito bites! The fact that they would put me in a room that had no working AC in the first place in the scolding, hot desert is crazy! Mosquitoes carry diseases. This is why I am so pissed off! as for best western sky, this one is pretty expensive so to leave with all these bug bites I am furious. I wanna complain to the front desk, but when I did the first time she had an attitude and said it's nature there's nothing she can do even though these bugs were in the room obviously I'm not complaining about bugs outside. I'm not stupid! im furious! As I'm writing this review, I just killed another mosquito! Don't blame nature cause I kept the door close these mosquitoes are coming out of the drain or some thing.
The BW PLUS in Palm Desert is a gem. Beautiful pool, fitness room, short order hot breakfast with all the trimmings (included,) comfortable temp in the room when 107 degrees outside, and our favorite amenity: mulit-night discount! My only complaint is the door between rooms that is not acoustically treated. Fortunately our neighbot 'signed off' before midnight, so the rest of the night was quiet. Higly recommend this high value location.
From the front desk clerk to the room and breakfast, everything and everyone was designed for comfort. The breakfast included many choices and there was a lot of staff to help guests Signage could be improved to make finding the elevator easier.
Do not stay here homeless were in the halls doing drugs air did not work dirty bedding not helpful staff Beware!! Don't bring kids very sad surroundings not for kids to see stained walls and ceilings!
What a charming little hotel at a bargain rate this is! The room, the cooked to order b-fast, the pool area, and EVERY employee we encountered were absolutely kind and eager to accommodate our every need.
I really enjoyed the made to order breakfast. It would have been nice to have a muffin or pastry being offered. The bacon was nice and crispy which doesn't usually happen at a hotel breakfast. The man preparing breakfast was very nice and efficient. That breakfast is the main reason I would return again. The rooms are rather dated with old style carpeting. There was a beige blanket on the bed which I did not love. I like when everything is done with white sheets. The pool looked nice and the property itself was good for the area. The price was also average for the area and was a pretty good value at $125 per night, total.
Easy to find hotel. Rooms are large and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Couldn't figure how to work the air conditioner called the front desk and Manul arrives with a smile on his face and explained to me how to use it. met the next day and he asked me if it was working well.
Things they don't tell you ahead of your arrival: 1) Their 2-story building (which they don't even show or mention on their website) had its elevator removed, so you must carry all your luggage up the flight of stairs. 2) The 2-story building has no ice machines 3) Their Rewards program promises extended checkout hours, but when requested, they claim they can't guarantee that until the actual checkout day. 4) You don't get any credit for the Rewards program, no matter how long you stay or how much you spend, if you didn't book the stay through their own website. 5) Wifi is only 85/12 Mbps download/upload 3 stars because the King Suite was basically ok (besides the rock-hard pillows).
Beds were comfortable, and the room was decently renovated. Staff were friendly. We liked that the patios face the courtyard. Things we didn't like: The room was dark, with two weak lamps not up to the task. People smoked on the balconies, so we couldn't always get the fresh air we wanted. The breakfast menu listed continental breakfast of pastries and fresh fruit, but that wasn't actually available--there was plain sliced bread, but no bagels, muffins, etc. The pool wasn't heated enough to use it, which was sad because the days were sunny and warm enough.
Craig and his team are exceptional. Everyone was kind, courteous, and took the time to listen to my needs and accommodate. Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast team welcomed me and were quick to deliver my breakfast every morning. House keeping were so friendly and accommodating. Nothing but 5 stars for this entire property. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay at this quiet, clean, conveniently located hotel. The made to order breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Within walking distance of many restaurants. The rooms and pool area was very clean and well maintained.
My family and I stayed here one night while passing through Palm Desert on our way home from the Grand Canyon. The room was clean and had a good amount of space. The only negative was that the walls were paper thin - we could hear all of the tv noises coming from next door. Breakfast was one of the best we have found for similar hotels that offer a free breakfast - there was a chef right behind the serving trays who was busily cooking all of the hot items fresh rather than finding the hot items placed in the usual warming trays that were set out first thing in the morning.
My husband and I and two dogs spent four days here just before Christmas. It turned out that this place was absolutely perfect for travelers with dogs. You pay a fee but it is not outrageous. We were booked into a room very close to a lovely watered. Green grass area for walking the dogs. For us this is very important. we found the room a bit Spartan but it was clean and fine. Room service is available but we passed upon it. My husband went crazy over their free breakfast. We have never been anywhere where breakfast was like this. There is a chef and if you want a bacon and eggs or pancakes, etc., they are not sitting in a Buffet line. They are made for you while you wait. The chef is a master. Somehow he remembers multiple orders and the food is prepared within moments. My husband was also nuts about the hash brown potatoes always perfect. We are retired, but husband did say that during his road warrior days and if he have work in the Palm Desert area he would drive a long ways to his job site just to stay at this hotel. The staff was pleasant, and we could not have been happier with our stay.
the breakfast was AMAZING!!! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our bed was SO clean and comfy. WE loved the pool and the quiet evenings. We slept so well and dreamed every night of the huge breakfast we could enjoy the net morning.
Good clean always the recibe me super welcoming the best hotel i love stay here ans they employees give you a good attention they reconasmr for my name so that make feel im getting gone and always give me extra discount
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean. No, this is not a 5 star hotel suite, but a good value place to stay on a budget without sacrificing other things like location or putting up with shady guests. Good breakfast included with stay also.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus off Hwy 111. It was a great location for our needs. The dining room cooks and staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing breakfast and stay. Room was very clean and comfortable with easy access with parking outside our room. Once again the breakfast was cooked fresh each morning and there was no waiting in line-ups. Best Food / Best Room / Best Staff. Thank you!
Great location, very clean and the establishment was very accommodating. One of the best pet friendly locations I have stayed in. I do a lot of traveling with my husband and my fur baby and it is important that the establishment is not only human friendly, but also pet friendly.
Stayed two days in November. Easy parking and access to the main thoroughfare. Professional, well trained staff. Breakfast like no other! Clean well kept rooms and property. Good price, AARP discount. Called for reservations and the representative was easy to work with and helpful. We will be back!
Excellent, friendly and accommodating staff. Every question I had was answered. My breakfast was cooked to order and excellent. I sat outside on the patio for breakfast and enjoyed hearing the birds. I look forward to staying here again.
Stayed here for the first two nights of a combo California/Mexico Riviera trip. To be honest, we have nothing to complain about. First of all, the grounds are beautiful…you can tell they really care. Next, our room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. Keep in mind that this is more motel than hotel-like, with outdoor entrances instead of interior corridors. For us this was not an issue. As for breakfast, when I booked this I knew that breakfast was included, but I had no idea just how good it would be. I guess I expected the typical, industrial pre-made omelets and such...but it was so much more. It was actually a cook-to-order breakfast, with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, etc. It was easy as telling the guy behind the counter what you wanted. They also had an excellent, new cappuccino machine that was available all the time. The location was also great. It set us up perfectly to visit Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. I have to admit: for less than $200 for two nights in Palm Desert I had low expectations. Truth is, it was an amazing value. I figure we would have spent about $60 if we had to buy breakfast for two days, and if we had gone to Starbucks for the cappuccinos we had it would have been another $30, making this an even more tremendous value. Overall, we had an fantastic stay….recommended!
Best western fabulous , no problems, comfy beds , pool good, may be problems if very busy , but not too busy while we were there, hotel very clean probably cleanest hotel ever been in , breakfast was great , eggs cooked to order , everything you needed , all staff was efficient, and friendly . If come to palm desert in future will certainly stay there . Best wishes to all at best western from uk .
This property is in Palm Desert Ca. The hotel is clean, and a very good value for the area. We had a good night sleep and enjoyed the great "cooked to order" breakfast. The staff are very nice and helpful with requests. We visit this area often and never consider staying anywhere else.
The hotel is a prime location of Palm Desert. The rooms are nice size and comfortable. Good AC and TV options. Breakfast each morning. Being pet friendly is a major consideration for us and this hotel has a nice, designated pet area.
Beautiful resort. Excellent service. Restaurant style breakfast, cooked to order. Also grab and go foods, fruit, breads, juices. There was a coffee machine with many different types of coffee styles. A fitness gym was available. The pool area was clean and inviting.
Nice hotel in Palm Desert. Late checkout at 12 is standard, which we enjoyed. Clean rooms, good airco, nice place to stay in general with a very nice swimming pool for our young kids. We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast (which was included in the room rate) was good, with a chef preparing eggs and/or pancakes at request. We stayed one night, but would have definitely wanted to stay another. We'll located for Joshua Tree park
This is our second visit, we enjoy how peaceful it is, also the cleanliness, the Staff are all friendly & go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, we love the full breakfast that is cooked to order. We will return.
It was easy to find. It was close to the mall. The outside was very well taken care of. The room was very clean the beds and pillows are a little to hard for liking but I did sleep well. The pool are was very clean and centrally located. I would stay here again.
It was quick short get away with family and we had a great time there. Amenity was nice & staff was friendly and kind always. Breakfast was so great! Love it! We will come back soon for sure! Thanks Best western Palm Desert!
This is an older place but has been kept up quite well. Breakfast is far better than most BW as they have on-site cooks to make your personal favorites! It is centrally located for the valley and convenient to a multitude of amenities
Great value for the money, good location walking distance from a small shopping center. The staff were very helpful, and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was really good, we will definitely be returning.
Checked in to a room that was in desperate need of updating. Went out for dinner and realized that even though AC was set at 74, it was doing nothing but blowing air. Spent an uncomfortable night in a hot room. And, as others have said, pillows are like cement blocks. The next morning we let the front desk know about the issue. When we returned later in the day, they told us it had been fixed. It wasn't so we requested another room. # 228 was sad. Stained and worn bear carpet and sofa. Ripped desk chair, unusable balcony chairs and on and on. We are BW Gold members and have been loyal to this brand for a long while. However, the entire chain seems to be in decline. This stat might have ended our allegiance to BW. One positive was the made to order breakfast.
Great location, close to lots of restaurants. Very nice attractive hotel. Full made to order breakfast with lots of options. Nice pool area and plenty of free parking. Friendly, helpful customer service. The only negative are the horrible brick pillows. But overall, highly recommend.
Absolutely no complaints. Professional and caring staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast is hot and delicious with many varieties to choose. Definitely will stay again because exceeds all expectations.
We had three nights here and glad we picked this place. We had a comfortable spacious room. The pool area was very nice and we enjoyed it. They serve a full hot cooked breakfast in the dining area. The location was convenient for dining and the places we wanted to visit. The price was a great bargain for how comfortable the accommodations were. We were very happy with our choice to stay here.
The BW Plus Palm Desert Resort is a nice option when traveling through PSP airport/area. The service was friendly and professional. The room was clean, well-appointed, and felt safe. There is a small fenced-in pool and hot tub area. Breakfast included eggs, hashbrowns and meat prepared to request, in addition to the usual hot/cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, etc. The dining area was clean, comfortable and uncrowded. All-in-all, this property seems a bit less than a full service resort in my experience, but it is a nice hotel at a decent price.
I stayed here with some friends for the Stagecoach music festival and the service was a incredible! complimentary breakfast every morning and they always attended to our needs for extra towels, blankets, and pillows. It was also right across the street from the shuttle stop to get to the festival
If BW have gone out of their way to find, singularly, the smallest, worst, most uncomfortable pillows on the planet in over-sized pillow cases, they have knocked it outta the park. A/C also spitting dust and mould - air quality poor. Sadly it was Stagecoach festival weekend so all hotels were price gouging. Badly done BW, badly done.
Staff friendly. Tired room. Calling this hotel a “spa” is linguistic inflation at its finest. Almost as deceiving as the photos on their website. Lightning in room so poor bringing a flashlight suggested. Shower water pressure almost as good as a toddler peeing. If bored, consider bringing grout (light brown, please) to repair the many deteriorated grout lines in the bathroom floor. If you're handy, a couple screws could be put to use. One for the towel rack braces is missing one. As is one in the shower mixer control. And pack a spare light bulb for the burnt out one in the bathroom mirror wall sconce fixture. If you intend to have the a/c on and also sleep, advisable to bring ear plugs. When turning on one of the floor lamps in the “living room,” be careful to not scrape your hand on broken/jagged plastic resin joint near the switch. Be sure to admire the plumbing fixtures that are worn down to expose the lovely base metal. Make sure all your items needing to be charged are fully charged. No USB plug-ins (yes, we stayed here in 2022. Not 2002) in any fixture. And the electrical outlets are worn out. Barely will hold your plug in.
We stayed here to visit Joshua Tree Nat'l park, it wasn't too far and ended up being the best locations for local dining. The breakfast chef was incredible and the entire place very clean, nice staff.
This felt like a very basic Best Western - I can only think it's designated plus because it has a swimming pool? The fitness room was tired and old, the rooms looked recently decorated but quite basic. The bathroom had a super annoying feature so the lights and fan started as soon as you walked in even in the middle of the night! There was an old style bathtub with a shower above it and the controls simply didn't function. Breakfast was OK but was served in what looked like a dining hall off the reception area where the noise levels were deafening. The hot dishes were nicely cooked to order. We would have been very happy with the set up if we were paying $150 a night but it was costing us over $350 a night which seemed ridiculous for what was basically a very average 3* experience in a chain motel.
The reception staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The breakfast staff were excellent. The house keeping staff kept the room very clean and were non-invasive. The internet and TV service failed repeatedly. This was the only, but very signiificant, issue encountered.
Good hotel overall, although my bathtub had hair left in it. Yet, nice clean in the other areas. Lots of space and cool little outside patio for each room. Fair customer service, although I was not recognized for my Diamond status.
Hotel is in a good location about 1 mile of so from El Paseo. The property and pool are nice and the staff was also nice. I would say the best part is the free breakfast where they make eggs for you. The rooms are ok and could use a remodel but not horrible. The main complait is the pillows, they were to big and hard like a rock, they said those were the brand standard and that was all they had. Bring your own pillows.
Do not stay at this location. The staff was rude, the room was dirty and was in disrepair, and the bed was really uncomfortable. I am 30 year old and it made my back hurt, my back never hurts.I rather sleep in my car. I realize this is a discount hotel and that you get what you pay for but this was not worth it at all.
Comfortable and quiet hotel with good room amenities (fridge yay!) excellent shower and huge room. Although restricted services due to Covid measures, still enjoyed a good stay here with complimentary simple but decent breakfast. Small pool and jacuzzi on site plus gym.
The room was big and comfortable. The beds were comfy. It's clean and very quiet even though they looked like they were fully booked! They're location is perfect to go anywhere in the valley, from shopping to hiking!
We had a good stay at Best Western. It is an older hotel and the rooms could use a good renovation. In our room we had torn upholstery and cabinets that would not close but the hotel has many really good features. We had a room on the third floor overlooking part of the parking lot and tennis courts. One of the best attributes this hotel has are the staff. When I had a problem with my computer (I'm not computer literate) and Joey very kindly came to my room to resolve the problem for me. To me this is service above what would be the norm. The hot cooked to order breakfast is the best of the complimentary breakfasts that we've had during our trip. They also had a great selection of 4 breakfast juices. We enjoyed the passion, orange, guava juice. It is an older property but we had a good room rate. I would recommend but be prepared for an older property that does have some issues.
This is a nice hotel. breakfast included was great, it's pet friendly although we didn't have our doggies with us it was fun meeting other doggies. The pool area is a friendly gathering spot, we ordered our lunch to go and sat there. Towels provided overall it was a great stay we were there for a family wedding
Bad all around. For the prices they are charging, you would assume that you'd get better accommodations. Service is lacking from staff. Maintenance issues with room. Employees are loud. Knocking on your door at early hours, even though you have not checked out, etc.
TERRIBLE!!! I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE. TV did not function. 2 non functional air conditioners, employee smoking outside my door, smoke smell coming inside my room. Incompetent and rude staff. I gave the Assistant General Manager a chance to resolve these problems, which he did not do. He made excuses instead.
Good value, centrally located, stores w/in walking distance, room was clean, well equipped with newer appliances. Bed was too soft for me. Included breakfast was great - made to order hot food. Great compliance with pandemic protocols.
4th visit to the location and when comparing it with other Best Western facilities this stands out. Breakfasts are cooked for you, staff ready to assist especially with TV and air conditioning remotes. Only possible drawback was the weekend rates as we moved on and returned Jan 17 -18.
Great location for access to restaurants, shopping and local areas. Hotel is well maintained, rooms are nice and clean. Staff are helpful, friendly and informative. Breakfast is cooked to order and has something for everyone. Pool area is kept clean, although pool temperature is on the chilly side.
This property is always my go to “home for a night”. This visit I had, Joey help me and he was wonderful and very professional! He accommodated my requests upon checkin even though there's no guarantee. He is a familiar face and I love that the hotel has that. It makes me feel at home. As always the room and my favorite part the balcony is always a pleasure. It's never a disappointment when I stay here!!! Not to mention the location is so convenient to everything! Otherwise the lobby offers a quick snack area with popular drinks and snacks!
Staff was excellent and the room was clean. The breakfast was tasty. The rest of our stay was not as pleasant. The beds were the most uncomfortable and we were unable to sleep. The walls are paper thin. The AC/heater remote needs instructions. There's a lack of plugs for electrical charging none of which are near the bed.Our particular TV was on it's last legs with a bleeding red border above and below the picture.
We were traveling as a couple with a small dog at very high volume holiday time. Have very rarely had such a wonderful experience at reception/check-in. We were given great restaurant recommendations and directions with good will and professionalism. The room met all expectations. Hotel location is near restaurants, pharmacy, groceries and several important businesses.
No matter how much the Manager (Graig) tried to improved are accommodations, it didn't help. i won't go over details, but here are some the problems with this place. Utilities outdated: Heating/Ventilating poor and noisy Bathing/Shower hot water not always available, you want shower at 7:00 am or bath at 9:00 pm forget it. the rooms accommodations are decent but don't expect the ritz, TV not user friendly with a awkward remote, wifi OK. Infrastructure need sprucing up. Breakfast was good, clean and bright room with a cook, preparing eggs, sausage and bacon to order. there maybe more to write about this place, but, life to short. 2 Star rating : 1 for the Manager, 1 for the Breakfast We wont come back!
After two years of not travelling it was good to be back to this hotel in Palm Desert. Staff was very professional when it came to keeping guests safe. The option of eating breakfast outside was appreciated. Management is making improvements and is planning on replacing tired pool chairs.
Always kind a helpful staff - nice property private a secure rooms . The suites have balconies or patios and private courtyard . The breakfast a has an array of options available to pick from and is pretty good.
Great breakfast and helpful staff! Loved that we could get a hot breakfast prepared while you wait plus a good selection of ala carte items. Staff always available to answer questions. Room comfortable and made up each day.
BUGS!!!! I will say, I never saw them but boy are we all feeling them!! Stayed 2 nights in a rather expensive suite, number 157. Loved the room setup, the patio, the breakfast, the furnishings, everything.. except... The bugs!!! My guests and myself were eaten alive by invisible flesh eaters!!! :( I'm tearing myself apart due to the itching!! It's horrible!!!! So disappointing....
I was very impressed with everything from start to finish! And was very surprised how good their breakfast was! Made fresh to order! Everything was clean and tidy would recommend to stay here if you are in town!
This property is tucked way in town from I10 but it is worth the drive! Wonderful staff. Free breakfast is over the top with 3 made to order grill options plus all other breakfast favorites, plus 4 juice options. Great place to stay.
Visitors to the Palm Desert area should take a good look at this Best Western Plus. A convenient location, clean rooms with enough amenities, helpful staff, and no hidden fees (like parking fees, "resort fees", and breakfast charges) make this hotel a winner. The hotel serves a better-than-average hot breakfast that can be individually-prepared for each guest. To help guests cool off, this Best Western location features many rooms with balconies for outdoor seating, as well as an irregularly-shaped pool of ~12-13 yards long. The pool is well-maintained, but not quite resort quality. During a stay during several October 2021 weekdays, the self-parking spaces seemed adequate (but possibly may not suffice during peak season) and the noise level could be characterized as 'very quiet'.
Very comfortable bed and clean room. Pet friendly with nice grassy area for dogs with waste bags. Best free hotel breakfast with made to order items. Did not use pool, but walked by and it was very well kept and very clean .
Comparable to hotels in the same class, this Best Western meets the 5 Star. I booked the king suite with separate rooms, two t.v.s. and the living room had a pull-out bed. I could watch adult shows and my kiddo could watch shows that put me to sleep :). There was even a frig and microwave. My frig only welcomed tequila that I enjoyed on the patio. I am a fashionista mom with a fashionista little one and I would consider this location safe and we returned late at night (1 a.m.) several times over the course of 4 days. Here are 6 Hot Reasons to consider staying here. 1. No more microwave breakfast. Winning. Your meal is made to order. No omelette or fixins for your eggs, but eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes are made while you wait. The dining area is considered spacious and immaculate. Take a few extra dollars to tip to bring your stay good karma. 2. The bathroom lightning is LIT. Ladies, you cannot fail your makeup regine. Plenty of lighting in the bathroom without squinting your eyes. 3. Plenty of outlets throughout each area. Thank the maker. 4. Suites are like apartment style. Lower level had hardwood floors. Upper level is carpeted. 5. The deposit is only $20.00 bucks. Are you kidding me? Maybe it was $10.00, I'm not even joking. 6. Considerate and professional service. 7. Location is prime. Off the 111, near eateries, gas, CVS, the village, heck, I even went to AutoZone. All community amenities are within 2 miles in all directions. 8. Pool was clean but I pooled at the Hyatt Regency two miles away. 9. I'd like to know if these hot tips helped you. Enjoy your stay.
Please note that I did book a Suite - I had a very pleasant stay and feel the Suite was a very good value for the money. I was impressed by the size of the common area which allowed 6 of us staying in different rooms to spend some time together all in one place. Breakfast was included and I was pleasantly surprised by how hearty it was and made to order! I'm admittedly a bit of a snob for usually booking boutique hotels, but I had such a nice stay at the Best Western that I thought I'd write a review!
Probably will not book a room in that specific hotel again. I do not live with roaches in my home and seeing roaches in my assigned room seem dirty to me. The desk (Frank) stated if I'd have notified him he would have reassigned me another room. He also wanted me understand that roach infestation was due to the hot desert environment. He may have thought I was stupid and buy off on his excuse. I did tell Frank that we had arrived late after a long drive from Phoenix and just wanted to shower and hit the rack. Of course we had to flush half a dozen roaches down the tub drain. The next morning there were two more of which I videotaped the night before and that morning. Hopefully I didn't bring any Best Western Plus Palm Desert, CA roaches in my luggage. I will post the same on Yelp.
Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel! The grounds and pool area were kept very clean and the pool was a super size and so warm and enjoyable. The service was great-everyone was so helpful and kind. Rooms were spacious and beds super comfy. Best stay at a hotel ever!!
Came to Palm Desert for a quick visit with family. The property was nice, good location-quiet, but right off the 111, so easy to get to restaurants, shopping, etc. Great value, comfortable beds, great swimming pool and a delicious breakfast- we would definitely stay here again.
Overall, this is a wonderful place, and I really only have one complaint. Perhaps not all the rooms are like this, but the one we stayed in needs to be brought up to the 21st Century. There was nowhere to plug in my laptop and still be able to use it, or for my husband's tablet to be plugged in and used. There was no empty outlet near the bed to charge our phones, either. Everything else was great - comfortable bed, clean room, roomy bathroom with good water pressure. We stayed at several motels on our trip, and this one had the best breakfast by far - cooked to your desire! Note: if you are using BW points rather than paying with credit card/cash - it's VERY REASONABLE.
If you want a great place to stay that's just minutes from good shopping and eating locations, it's hard to beat the Best Western Plus Palm Desert Resort. From the hotel lobby to the grounds and rooms, everything is very clean and very well taken care of. We especially loved having a room with a balcony that overlooked highway 111. It makes for a nice place to sit and enjoy your coffee while checking your email in the morning :). We'll definitely stay here again.
Whenever I am visiting the Palm Springs/Palm Desert Area, I choose this particular hotel. I love the value that I receive for the price! The property is always well-kept and well-landscaped outside and rooms are inviting, convenient and comfortable. Hotel staff is very attentive, professional and quick to resolve concerns or questions. The pool and the jacuzzi are delightful and the food and snack offerings are full to variety. There is also free reading material in the lobby and the location is prime for access to shops, massage studios, nail salons, restaurants, hair dressers, gas stations, medical facilities and any other services needed.
Great rooms, decent prices. Very clean property and close to everything. The main cook in the kitchen needs an attitude adjustment as he is very rude. Also the TV in the bedroom of The suite does not get the same cable service as the tv in the front room. Maybe it is disconnected for some reason or on a different input? Overall decent place.
Nice clean location and well kept hotel. Amanda is great if she handles your check in or out. Frank is rude, and so is Andrea. Management seems to be good, I talk to Galen sometimes and does a great job correcting any issues, but Craig the GM seems to be disconnected and can better interact with us, his elite members.
we have stayed here before. Always liked the rooms and the accommodations, and location. pet friendly which is a most. I would enjoy staying in one the suites, larger than a normal room and traveling with a dog more room is better.
I enjoy coming to this property because of a few things, all the front desk staff are great and provides great customer service! Hot, made to order breakfast! The best thing I love is the balcony!!!!!
Awesome amenities, great staff and quiet place to stay. I liked that the floors are not carpet, no smell, no noise and the hotel and room is clean. I also like that they serve breakfast that they can cook at your request for example, how do you like yours eggs done and even the sausages and bacon. Overall, my family is happy with our stay.
I love Palm Desert, CA but it can get very hot in the summer, as it was on my three day visit in June. I lobed the fact that the check in was quick and easy, and that when I got to my room the A/C was already on and my room was the perfect temperature. The furnishing were very comfortable, including the bed and pillows, my downstairs room had it's own little patio with a table and chairs for casual evening relaxing, and the pool area was clean and refreshing. This is a great place to stay and I will do so again!
We have stayed here many times and this time, the property was definitely run down which probably a symptom of the COVID year. First room we put in, the AC was not working. The front desk was very gracious and immediately moved us to a new room. The majority of the staff were wonderful. The breakfasts every morning were great. Furnishings could use a little TLC and a coat of paint would make a huge improvement. Hopefully this year will be a better year.
Calling it a resort seemed a bit optimistic. Basic accommodation, reasonably comfortable and serviceable. Impressive breakfast options. Street noise can be a problem depending on room - doors stick and don't seal very well.
I needed a place for my 90 year old father to stay to keep cool during a remodel on his home. I booked the room for two nights so we could have it for the entire one day. The person who booked the room was the same person who checked me in and out he was professional and made sure my accommodations were perfect. The refrigerator was not working and a new one was immediately brought to replace the faulty one. Good value for a standard accommodation.
We stayed in a King Bed Suite (2 rooms) and it was great. Probably the best thing was the awesome water pressure in the shower/bathtub combo. Even more impressive considering California probably leads the nation in water restricting devices. Bed was comfortable and we had no issues sleeping. Air Conditioning worked well. Included hot breakfast was adequate. Choice of fried or scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, hash browns. They also had oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc... Both inside dining and a covered outdoor dining area. Breakfast coffee was okay, nothing memorable. In room, single serve coffee (Seattle's Best) was excellent. Daily maid service not currently provided unless specifically requested and we were fine with that. Clean towels, etc. available upon request. Some special notes. The Suites are located in a separate 2 story building WITH NO ELEVATOR. We were able to get a ground floor suite, so we didn't have to schlep our heavy suitcases up the stairs. Nice little outdoor patio included with each ground floor suite. Would recommend requesting a ground floor suite if staying there. Did not utilize the pool this trip - it is a short walk away at the main building. Also, where the ice machine is located. Main building (3 stories) with standard rooms DOES have elevators and is where the pool is located (inner courtyard). Inner courtyard pool could get loud so maybe request a second or third floor room if staying there. Good dining choices within a 10-mile drive. WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN for a short vacation. This was the first leg of our Palm Springs, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Sequoia National Park, Yosemite, Solvang 16-day road trip. Age of reviewer - 65
Beautiful large property close to shopping, dining and entertainment. Great rates. Very good breakfast. Competent, caring staff. Pet friendly. Rooms are nice and clean. Beautiful pool area. You must check this hotel out.
Stayed 3 nights .The room was very clean and also had a balcony. The room on the 3rd floor was very quiet for all 3 nights. Also served eggs, bacon, and hash brown potatos at the breakfast buffet. Hotel was in the center of town and had lots of free parking.
Budget motel , kind of run down, rooms need work in terms of odor, pool area had a vibe like 'The Florida Project' - people getting high, smoking, drinking while kids are jumping in the pool. The staff though are so helpful, friendly, kind, and attentive-they're the best part of this property.
After a year of not traveling we opted to go just a bit out of town. The check-in was clean and easy. Rooms maintained well, pool was clean and nicely situated with shade and sun for all. Felt safe after COVID. Places for food and shopping close by and easily reached by foot or car. Front desk was helpful in suggesting places to hike, eat or just mellow out.
I felt like I was staying at a kennel/day care . Barking dog at the pool, 3 big dogs one room, dirty diapers at the pool. Kids in hot tub. N Guests grilling on a small hibachi that was left in the parking lot over night. When I spoke with the manager he explained they wanted everyone to have a good time. We checked out early and won't be back . Suggest you pass on this location
This property always provides excellent guest service at a very reasonable price. The location is great for visiting all areas of the valley. The nearby attractions, restaurants, and shopping help add to the experience.
My spouse and I stayed one night while we visited the area. We had a good, but average stay. The room was clean and the staff friendly. All staff I interacted with were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was actually better than I was expecting. They had a hot prepared breakfast with sausage, eggs and hash browns. The AC kept the room nice and cool, a must for the area. The property is showing a big of age, though they are clearly working to keep up the property. It looks like they may be updating some of the rooms, though I am not sure. I really don't have anything negative to say about the hotel. I had an average stay and it is an average property and that isn't a bad thing.
Started off lovely but fell short. Stayed for 3 days during a getaway. The first night was great. The breakfast was wonderful. The second night I had noisy neighbors that decided to have a patio party at 11:30 at night and took our patio furniture to do so. The next day house keeping never showed up to make the bed or give us clean towels despite us being gone all day. At that point I felt that I could've found a better hotel for the price I paid
The problems: 1. No wifi. After a long hot day and everybody has taken a shower and eaten dinner, we want to relax on our own devices only for it to be thwarted by a lack of wifi. Some of us would see a wifi option and some of us would not. Those of us lucky enough to seen an option only had it for a few seconds and then it was gone...poof! Then you're stuck with longing questions such as where did it go? Did I really see it that time or didn't I? Was it this boring back in there olden days mommy? 2. The pillows were so hard. The bed was comfortable, but if you are like me it is all about the pillows. Our heads were on a constant "watching tv" tilt the whole time. So sleep was booboo. I guess I could've slept without a pillow, but who sleeps without a pillow!! The good: 1. Staff. The front desk guy, very friendly and informative. The maintenance guy, or AC didn't work a couple of times and he came over so quickly to fix it and was super friendly about it. The breakfast guys, they were very efficient at what they do, they too were super friendly. Did not deal with housekeeping, but everyone we passed by them they greeted is with a "good morning" and a smile. 2. Location. There are so many restaurants near this hotel. There's also a grocery store across the street. And the zoo is about 5 minutes away!
It was a nice stay very clean very organized the staff were very helpful and very friendly the food was very good everything in the breakfast room was excellent. Everything outside in the parking lot was wonderful the lighting was good, felt safe walking to my car at night also knowing security personnel was present. Thank you.
The Best Western Plus Palm Desert fit our needs very well. The property was very well maintained and very nice. The staff was extremely professional and Covid protocol was in place. The made to order breakfast was a pleasant surprise.
We only stayed one night, but it was quite enjoyable. The room was smartly appointed and clean, staff were very friendly. If spa had been empty later that evening, we would have used it as it looked inviting. Breakfast was excellent, even under Covid regulations, ample and tasty.
The Best Western Plus in Palm Desert is in a great location, not fancy but well maintained, has excellent customer service, and a great value. It is close to many dining and shopping options, The Living Desert, and an easy drive to downtown Palm Springs.
This is the third time we have stayed here. I like the location of the property as well as the pool and amenities. Beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is good - although it gets boring to have eggs, sausage, potatos, and toast everyday. The rooms need to be updated - not enough electrical outlets and lights particularly with 4 in our room. Maybe have a reading light on side of the bed. Very popular property
This one-night trip was booked for a girls weekend getaway. The room was paid by points from a Best Western Credit Card. We requested that the rooms be adjoining. We did not get adjoining rooms, which was a disappointment. The bathrooms are meant for people 4'8-5'5. The sink and mirror were very low. The shower had good pressure, though, so that was nice. The beds were very firm, but that was ok by me. The pool and spa were nice, and handicap accessible. There were pool towels available. We didn't get to try the breakfast. The front desk attendants were nice. Nothing really stood out about this place. It was good for the night.
Upon entering the room there was an immediate musty smell. We had to keep the front door open and open the back door. We had to buy a spray to hide the odor. The room was very much neglected. We had a suite and the small sink area had non working faucets and no bulb in the wall lighting fixture. If I didn't spot a housekeeper I wouldn't have had a sheet and blanket for the sofa bed. When I checked out in the morning I told the front desk about the room he took off a lousy 10%.
We wanted to get out of the house for the first time in awhile. This proved to be a safe get away. The hotel did everything they could to insure that. Even the pool was open. The breakfast was good, and safe too
Clean rooms. Very nice pool and landscaping. Very friendly staff. We will highly recommend this location and will stay here again when we are in the area. True oasis in the desert. Aaron very nice and professional
Spent 2 nights at the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable but hated the pillows. They use 4 throw pillows instead of regular pillows. Not comfortable. There business center is closed at this time. I need a document printed so Amanda printed the document for me.
This was our third or fourth time staying at the Best Western in Palm Desert. The location is great, close to restaurants, hiking trails, the zoo, and downtown. The breakfast is good, the room is clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
This is our 2nd time staying at the Best Western Plus in Palm Desert and it's our first choice in the area. They offered a HOT breakfast of eggs, hash browns sausage or bacon and toast PLUS yogurt and other items. Much better than another hotel that gave us a bag of cold stuff.
Very Clean and large rooms. Comfy bed and Great neighborhood of the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and exceeded our expectations! Staff was great and even with limited housekeeping because of Covid, housekeeping did check with us to see if we needed anything. Great restful stay! Much needed weekend getaway to recharge and relax!
The staff made me feel safe during this time of covid. The desk was helpful with suggestions to local events and restaurants. Room was clean. I appreciated how the breakfast was offered. The location was centered near many activities and excellent restaurants.
Enjoyed the stay at this BW location. Beautiful scenery overlooking the desert, palm trees as well as the mountains. Staff was excellent. Great breakfast under the COVID 19 circumstances. Most pleasant staff.
Check in is a snap will the excellent help of Andrew Washington at the desk. He give the best leads for good eats. Everything was great with the best precautions. Rooms are clean. Thr pool is inviting although socissl distancing was not always in practice.
I stayed here often during the time my home was on the market. I'd get 2 suites for me, husband and 3 dogs during the weekends we had showings. Breakfast is hot with eggs cooked to order. Clean rooms.
My stay was good except the TV was not working and we had to manually turn it on and off. The pillows were also very uncomfortable and hard and the towels felt really rough. Other than that the stay was good.
Aging hotel which has been refurbished, but facilities still need updating. Room was client and comfortable except for air conditioner, which had been shut off prior to our arrival. With outside temperature at 105 degrees, it took 2-3 hours for room to be cool enough to be comfortable. Highlight was cooked to order breakfast.
Excellent service and friendly staff the environment is excellent and wonderful Veronica is very helpful and friendly located in palm desert California the request I have been fulfilled we will be there soon thank you so much Sidney
This resort has some great rooms with balconies available which have some nice views of the desert mountains and sky. The rooms are clean and it feels like a good resort for the price. Will def stay again!
Hidden Gem in the Desert! I almost want to keep this hotel my little secret! Last minute booking and I was extremely impressed! Extremely clean! Excellent customer service! Continental breakfast awesome! I'll definitely stay again!
The rooms are really clean and nice. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. I also love the balcony part of the room that looks out to the pool. Overall I had a great visit! I would come back again
Everything is clean and well maintained. The breakfasts are the best!!! Eggs made to order by a master chef!!! All of the support staff was committed to making our staff pleasant. Everyone wearing face masks to protect against Covid-19. We felt safe.
Well maintained, friendly & helpful desk staff. Room appeared newly remodeled. Nicely decorated with high quality beds. Good in room coffee. Nice pool area and private balconys. Great easy access area.
Best Western is conveniently located right on State Highway 111 within walking distance of restaurants and groceries. Hotel has swimming pool with plenty of chaise lounges. Best Western is diligent about maintaining distance and requiring masks in public places. Rooms are comfortable with king or 2 queen beds, desk and chairs for 2 people, refrigerator, microwave, closet, drawers and TV. Housekeepers do a good job and are courteous. A highlight are the wonderful breakfasts with made-to-order eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns and toast plus a nice selection of fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, pastries and more plus coffee and tea.
The rooms are to notch. This is a pet freindly hotel with a little area for the dogs. The A/C was quiet, the room decor was gorgeous and the room itself was imaculate. The water pressure was good and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was freindly and helpful. This hotel served a proper hot breakfast! There is a grocery store and a Starbucks right across the street and many restaurants in the area. It is close to a mall. I would love to live in this Hotel.
Found it to be clean and effecent. We were going to Tennis tournament and all the arrangements were just what we were looking for. A great stay. It was a comfortable room and the staff were very accomodating.
This is the best hotel in the desert. Location, service, unique breakfast and quality. All of the staff are wonderful and take of your needs. It is the best value in the desert. Not fancy, but clean with a just a wonderful staff and breakfast! My wife who has been around the world says they have the best pancakes.
Couple day stay to visit friends, this was good central location for golf and friends located in Cathedral City and Palm Springs. Large, old facility but recently renovated. Elevators in each building. Breakfast varieties, made to order. Clean rooms, with comfortable beds, good laundry facilities in each building.
Very basic hotel which charged a premium price! I know it is high season in this area but Price Gauging is not OK. Room was clean. Paint peeling off in the bathroom, minimal amenities, pillows extremely large and uncomfortable, Loud AC. Walkways to rooms are very old looking and uninviting. I wouldn't mind all that if i wasn't paying so much. For that price I expect a lot more! Good breakfast in the morning and pool looks nice (did not use it).
The room we had was smaller than we would have liked, but the pool was bigger than expected. I was suprised with the unfriendlyness of the hosts. Almost as though they did'nt want to tell us where the continentel breakfast was. When we finally found it we were suprised to find how nice it was, food was good, but the help was not very friendly. Will probally try somewhere else next time in the area
Extremely bad smell was coming from bathroom drainage. Frank at front desk was not helpful and polite. Maintenance man has tried to help but was unsuccessful. I do not think if we have ever use this hotel again. Not worth the price we paid.
Great experience, clean room, helpful staff, low price, nearby super market and restaurants, pass to check nighttime guest parking, easy/safe entry and exit to 111, breakfast included, kids playing in pool given warm weather, guests mix of families and seniors, Previously stayed at most hotels/motels nearby. In my opinion, best affordable hotel in Palm Desert! Not kidding
I totally enjoyed my stay. The room was nice and clean, beds good, watched the superbowl on the nice big screen in the room, drank a few beers, went to the pool and sat in the spa with a nice Canadian couple and visited and swapped stories. Shower worked great and was clean. Great stay. The cook to order breakfast is exceptional. I've never had a breakfast like that at any other hotel.
good location, except for the traffic noise. stayed in a suite, which was spacious and clean. i asked staff for a quiet room and paid extra to be in the suite because staff said there would not be any one in the room next to me as that whole wing was empty. then they placed someone right next to me (odd to have several empty rooms in a row then stick two guests right next to each other). staff was mostly pleasant, except for the manager. she was unfriendly, unapproachable and officious. continental breakfast was average. on a positive note, the hotel was close to a good off-leash dog park, a good Mexican restaurant, Starbucks, Adams Park, and only about 20 mins from Palm Springs Art Museum.
The facility was clean, comfortable, and convenient for seeing sights around Palm Desert. Loved having a balcony. We even got a "cook to order" breakfast provided by two cooks.....nice pampered touch.
I've had the pleasure of staying at several Best Western Plus properties in various parts of the U.S. and have never been disappointed. They're not 5 star hotels, but that's not what you're paying for. They are, however, clean, well run, have most (if not all) of the amenities you'd want (or need), PLUS, they provide a very good complementary breakfast. If you're looking for a comfortable place to spend a couple nights, or more, then I recommend Best Western Plus facilities.
the rooms were very clean and comfortable the service in the breakfast room was very good and clean really enjoyed our stay and would come to this location again. we had been to this location before and knew what a geat place this is
This hotel was wonderful from checking to checkout. The staff was so nice. Our room was perfect, very comfortable, clean. Made our stay here great. The breakfast was very nice it was made to order, it was delicious and hot and tasty.
Best Western facility offers a cooked breakfast which is the first that we have encountered. Great location with access to shopping and restaurants. Second visit within the past three years and another forecasted.
I would recommend this hotel. The rooms are clean and well appointed with a fridge included and a comfy sofa which makes relaxing in front of the tv all the more pleasant. Breakfast is included and you will appreciate that it is individually cooked for each guest. Our senior rate in January was extremely reasonable.
The lobby to this hotel is really classy, along with the rooms. The beds are super comfortable. They even have a microwave in the room along with great coffee for the coffee maker. The front desk help are very friendly and helpful. They also have a great free breakfast with a chef. The hotel is located close to great shopping and restaurants.
The biggest surprise during our stay was the quality of the breakfast service. We have stayed at many Best Westerns and this one was just over the top. Overall quality of the hotel was basically on par with other BW plus hotels/resorts. Staff at receptiion also were very friendly and helpful regarding our stay.
The staff was pleasant with holiday greetings. The made to order breakfast is a plus and very well served. Location is perfect. Easy walk to restaurants. Everything you need for a mini vacation in PD.
Worst heating system I have ever experienced! Heating repairman came to my room three times and never fixed the problem. And as I was recovering from surgery freezing to death every night was torture.
As a disabled person traveling with a caregiver, it is always a great relief to come to the BW/Palm Desert and all the "knowns" in advance. This provides for a very comfortable and relaxing time despite other glitches. The staff here is so welcoming, kind and helpful that it makes up for the fact that we were late leaving home, arriving here!.....and even late for the beginning of the concert. But everything was in order in my room which lessened the stress of the glitches. Ir's a pleasure to be able to stay here and enjoy the peace and quiet even for a short time!
There are many fancy hotels and resorts in the Palm Spring Valley. This is a 1950's Hotel/motel that has been thoroughly and creatively updated. Impeccable grounds, well furnished and decorated rooms, pool and free breakfast! They also take pets! Centrally located and very reasonably priced.
The Best Western in Palm Desert is a wonderful place to stay. The room is fabulous as well as all of the warm staff. Highly recommend. We love to come and stay here...great location. The breakfast is out of this world.
Excellent service provided by Frank & Carolina at the reception desk. Our room was immaculate and quiet with a comfortable bed. I especially appreciated the clean, laminate floors. I took off one star for value since the price was much higher than their typical rates due to the holiday. Even though the hotel was full, we were welcomed with smiles, ample parking and the amenities that we expected.
Rooms were creature comfort temperature upon entry and the check in/out process streamlined. Nice hot to order breakfast on panckaes and eggs. Recptionist was extremely helpful in becoming settled after a long drive. The little things count with this facility and it's appreciated.
If this was a $99 a night hotel room, I would be writing a different review. But this BW touts itself as a “BW Plus” and my friend paid quite a bit more than $99 a night. I'll start with the pluses. When we didn't like our room (really loud neighbors through an adjoining door) they switched us no hassle. Both rooms were very clean. They both passed my standard cleanliness test: no hair in the bathroom when we first arrived. So A++ for that. And really, that's by far the most important thing. Oh, the towels and bed linens smelled clean as well. That was nice. Room had everything the average person would need: nice sized refrigerator, microwave, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, television with good channels, lots of towels (lots) and everything worked as expected. Lots of parking and the pool and jacuzzi looked clean. The grounds weren't spectacular but were well kept. The minuses are probably picky, but it IS, after all, billing itself as a Best Western PLUS. The free breakfast was the crappiest I've ever had at a hotel. It could easily have been improved. The shower controls were weird, the water pressure was very low and the shower curtains in both rooms were broken and didn't manage to keep the floor from getting wet. (Isn't that the job of a shower curtain?) See... I told you, picky. The rooms - in terms of layout, size and decor - were very average. I guess it's kind of relative, huh? My rooms in Europe, for instance, were usually closet sized and I was happy with them. These were similar to many that I've stayed in in non-Plus hotels. The outside of this BWPlus was kind of dumpy looking. Especially considering the local competition. So, overall, it was a nice clean room in a hotel that I don't think deserved Plus status. My previous hotel stay, coincidentally, was in our favorite San Simeon hotel - the Cavalier - which unaffiliated itself with Best Western and is as good - if not better - than it previously was. The Best Western branding isn't meaning much to me these days.
Comfortable and clean room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, fast, easy and pleasant check-in and check-out. We have stayed at this facility many of times and our experience has been very good to excellent.
I was visitng friends over Thanksgiving weekend and needed a room for one night that allowed me to bring my dog. There are not a lot of hotels in the area that allow pets. The check-in process was quick and easy. The room was extremely clean, but the decor needs an update. The mattress was comfortable, but the pillows were not--much too hard. Overall, if all you need is a place to crash for a night or two, especially if you have a dog, this place fits the bill.
After missing a couple of winters it was great to be back at this comfortable hotel in beautiful Palm Desert. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and always enjoy our stay, From Jacob and staff at the front desk and the wonderful people who clean your room and cook your breakfast it was again a superb vacation.
Was an excellent location for our attendance at Indian Wells pickleball tournament. Great breakfast (freahly made pancakes and fresh eggs any style. Most BW have on srambled egg mix with/without dairy. Rooms were very clean, staff was great. Only issue was the open concept (public access to all the rooms). Would definitely stay there again.
I was in the area for a sporting event and the location was very convenient. The staff was friendly, service was outstanding, room was clean and the complimentary to order egg breakfast was fantastic.
Excellent hotel fresh breakfast in the morning was awesome . Most hotels that I have breakfast in they never cook your eggs fresh nor hashbrowns fresh that will make me go back to this hotel very clean really enjoyed my stay
Enjoyed our one week stay here during the local Pickleball Tournament. Our room was very clean and quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a a couch. When you stay here you can buy groceries from the grocery store near by or eat at the endless supply of restaurants in the area.
Nice location right off California. Hwy 111 is easy in and easy out Nice full Breakfast, pool and hot Tub. Good place to stay easy to get around the Palm Springs area. Central to all places of interest
Spent the last 2 nights of our road trip here prior to flying home. Having spent 12 days on the road this was an ideal spot to catch our breath. The previous night was spent in Benson AZ so this was indeed an oasis. Pleasant welcome at reception and a nice room on the top floor, comfortable and clean. Nice pool area and the breakfast is pretty flash, whatever you want cooked to order. This not a 4/5 star facility and doesn't pretend to be. It is however great value, well appointed and comfortable. The El Paseo shopping/restaurant area is 20/25 min walk away. Surprisingly quiet, undisturbed sleep.
I love going to this hotel a few time a year! I love Mario & David along with the 2 ladies that work in the dining area. I also love Caroline at the front desk! They always make our stay a very pleasant one!! Very peaceful hotel! I give them 10 Stars!!
Hard to understand why this hotel has so many glowing reports as it's not a resort at all and to call it a BW+ is pushing it. A rather lukewarm reception. Could do with better signage to find room numbers as too small to read from car. Room very dark on entry and was surprised to find room not acceptable. Returned to reception to request another room which we were given this time with a bit more warmth as quite cross but did'nt want to make a scene. Room so clean it sparkled! Room maids deserve a huge raise! Wanted to sit out on balcony with a cup of tea but fly screen fell out of runners when opened. Reception rung to ask if all was ok so mentioned the fly screen and maintaince man came straigh away and fixed it with his handy tin of WD40! Noticed red light flashing on phone and it was a recorded message from some time ago with someone sobbing down the phone saying I miss you, I miss you! That really was the icing on the cake! No hairdryer in bathroom so asked room maid working a few doors down where they are. She pointed to towel rail in bathroom where this room's one was just pushed in. She gave that one to me so the new occupants of that room had no hairdryer. Thought all hotels had either wall mounted or bagged hairdyers in this day and age. It turned out the hairdryer only worked on 1 setting - hot and in the end the handle was too hot to hold so proved dangerous. Room rather old fashioned as well. Did not use pool in the end as a small group of very loud people partying round the pool. Breakfast freshly cooked for you but would not stay here again just for that. Left soon after breakfast. Mentioned the hairdryer to the clerk who said all rooms had hairdryers in but didn't seem too interested. Went to 2 further BW+ hotels after this one - both so much nicer. Would not stay here again.
The property is nicely updated unless they book you into the older building. Internet was fast and reliable, bed comfortable. Pool is nice and the shade trees are helpful in this heat. However, what really stands out is the complimentary breakfast. An actual chef working from an open kitchen with a large grill will custom prepare your breakfast, from pancakes, hash browns, eggs and style, bacon and sausage. They also have all the usual fare such as cereal, toast, muffins, fresh waffles with warmed syrup, etc. Also juices, milk and coffee. This breakfast really adds value for us, when you consider the cost of a comparable meal at IHOP, etc.
This hotel was great. The room was spacious with wonderful furnishings. The chef cooked hot breakfast was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is also located in a very good location. A place we would revisit again and again. It certainly deserves a 5 star rating.
The best Best Western we've been to. It is set up like a resort. Best of all the breakfasts are made to order and were just delicious! No pre-made platters of eggs, or fake eggs. We'll go back just for that as the rooms and other amenities were equally pleasing, and dogs are welcome!
The suites are nice even though this is an older property. Staff is friendly and helpful. The made to order breakfast was very good and unique to Best Westerns in general. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here on our way to Phoenix from Sacramento. It was a pleasant stay. Friendly staff and comfortable accommodations. We were able to drive to Palm Springs on only a few minutes but saved on overnight costs. Would stay here again.
Nice facility. However the pool area was not nearly as nice as pictured and the double suite was not what was pictured on the website. We had one bedroom with two beds not 2 bedrooms with a bed each. The couch pullout bed was so poor it was hard to sleep on and the second night we were unable to pull it out. We came with a huge league with multiple teams and the hotel refused to negotiate price. For the quality, I think this hotel is overpriced.
This hotel was amazing. I recommend staying in their suites. Price was fair market value. We plan to return here if in the palm springs area. The breakfast area was clean, well served and the staff went above an beyond for my family.
I like to go there, and it's not my first time . I recommend for everyone. The facilities in the hotel perfect. The breakfast is the best & they have hot and cold breakfast. I like the pool area and clean.
She has always made me feel like a VIP. She is courteous and professional. I'd love it if she received some sort of recognition for her great attitude. I don't normally fill out surveys, but I'm compelled to because of her and the great rooms at this hotel.
Useless and improper AIr Conditioning in room. Not one but both. We had two separate roooms. Two Familys. Yes do know how to operate A/C . Was on for over four hours when we went out and no change in room temp with A/C on lowest and Turbo mode.
This hotel is great for leisurely getaways. A lot of privacy if you prefer. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The pool area is great, just no jets in the Jacuzzi. The cooked to order breakfast was fresh and delicious.
Visiting from az and staff was accommodating since i was 8months preganant and needed something on ground level and close to parking. Breakfast was yummy and everyone was nice. Clean rooms and clean pool.
This hotel was very nice. I liked the non carpet floors they make it feel cleaner. They staff was very nice and very helpful. The breakfast staff was great and I really liked that the breakfast was cooked to order.
Check in was a breeze staff was professional and very accomadating. The suit was clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. The fitness center is very well appointed. The hotel is close to a large mall and some great restaurants. I highly recommend this nice and affordable hotel.
room is ok.the hotel building looks nice but has no vents in the corridors, so its getting rediculous hot. during the night constant bouncing and walking in room 305. idiots. hotel does not manage to stop it. soo best western plus in palm springs is a no.
Room was comfortable, and clean. The appliances worked with no problem. Air conditioner was not on all the time, it was on a timer so we didn't freeze to death. The swimming pool area was clean from debris.
When we are in Palm Desert, we always pick this hotel. We were able to check in earlier then 3:00. We asked for a lst floor room overlooking the pool and that's exactly what we got. The staff was friendly and very nice and gave us directions to the restaurant we asked for. Nice room, great air, the patio overlooked the pool which was nice. The pool looked clean and sparkling although we did not use it. Good location for everything AND the price included hot cooked to order breakfast. Can't beat that!
The Best Western product improves every year. I look forward to seeing what is coming in the future. I like to book on the go. I always choose Best Western and have never had trouble finding an available property.
I stay at this property every time I come out to the area. Its always clean and quiet at night. Breakfast buffet is the best. The staff is always on point and do what they can do make your stay the best
Very nice and willing to help. We arrived early and they did their best to get us into a disability room as soon as they could. Breakfast was made to order and tasty. We were on the pool side and there were 2 chairs and small table that were great in the evening.
nicely appointed, tranquil room, with balcony, tropical landscaping. in-room coffee, microwave, refrigerator. comfortable beds/pillows. beautiful pool. good internet. wonderful hot breakfast, cooked to order. great value!
Nice size suite - King size bed on the soft side and uncomfortable. Outdated bathroom fixtures (especially the shower), furniture in living room looks dated but is comfortable and sufficed. Breakfast was good, from time of ordering to receiving about 5 minutes or less and was hot and tasty. Overall a good place to stay just needs some TLC.
We stayed at this hotel as a halfway point to a wedding destination, so we chose it for convenience and price. It was very clean and well kept. Very nice, friendly staff. Nice pool area. Very excellent breakfast!! We will stay again for sure!
Not really. Motel is more like it. Especially as 'resort' tends to denote some kind of luxury. At least in my mind. This is a functional place. Basic room. Loud bathroom fan and fridge. Basic breakfast. There is a pool and a hot tub. And a warning sign on the gate about diarrhea in said pool and tub?!? We were there for a conference. It was fine. But perhaps a last resort, resort-wise?? The staff were very nice.
We arrived at around 2 am check-in was lackluster when we booked we did so because they were pet-friendly I was told that it was 20.00 for pets and I asked is that per pet and was told that was per night for pets. My husband went to take our dogs out one at a time and when he went to exit our room a hotel employee was around the corner in the dark and sprang up out of nowhere.I received a telephone call from front desk about 5 min later stating my dog attacked his employee I needed to come down when I went down to office I asked to see employee to get treatment etc I was advised that the dog did not attack him but scared him. AT THAT POINT I WAS FURIOUS!!!!!! I told the man at the front desk that's quite a difference and you have made a serious allegation. He then recanted and told us we could stay, but hostility told us there would be no housekeeping the duration of our stay. I said we would leave as we were booked for another two days and I was very uncomfortable. As we were loading our car to leave the employee came up to my husband threatening him and telling him he was going to beat him up my husband suffered a heart attack 9 days before. Another employee came out to try and intervene and was very nice and calm I called front desk to ask for help telling the gentleman that your employee is out here threatening my husband, and the other employee stated that he smelled alcohol and thought the man had been drinking ..
A little dated but has all the amenities. Perfect location. The breakfast was made to order and tasty. We travelled with our dog and had a patio with a grassy area off the bedroom. The room had a sitting area, a spacious bathroom, and wet bar.
A great place where you always feel welcome, All the staff are kind and courtous always ready to lend a hand or to make even good things better. Close to great resturauns and shopping for example El Paseo one of the finest. Very comfortable.
I was greeted by a friendly staff member, and when I arrived at my room found it spacious and well appointed. I was disappointed by the lack of accessible power outlets, and no way to efficiently charge mobile devices. The room and the bathroom were clean, and having a balcony was an added treat.
My party of 8 golfers had a very positive experience at Best Western Plus in Palm Desert. This property was very efficient and professional during our entire stay. We each had our own King room and the hotel was very quiet and clean. I would highly recommend this property to others.
Me and a group of friends stayed here during Coachella weekend and our stay was beyond perfect!! Everything from the rooms, customer service, And all accommodations were met with ease. Everything you can want from a stay away from home! On top of our pleasant stay, our rooms were very quiet which is perfect when needing rest. The gym and pool on site is better than most I've seen while traveling at other hotel sites. The real stand out for me was the two kitchen chefs, and the front desk associates; especially Alyssa (hope we spelled that correctly). After our stay i had to contact the general manager, Craig, and praise him personally for his staff selection. I will definitely be staying here every time i come to the Palm Springs / Coachella area. Thank you all for the wonderful experience!
Where to start......No water in the room, but you can buy a bottle in the lobby. No night light in the bathroom, but you can leave the overhead light on, if you don't mind the fan connected to it. Try to find an outlet to plug in a charger, the remote for the TV didn't work, and no outlet in the bathroom. On top of that the room was old, outdated, and dingy.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. Nicely decorated room with balcony Beds extremely comfortable. Great breakfast choices and beautiful setting for hotel surrounded by mountains and Palm trees
OK, the rooms are in need of updating, but they are clean and the pool area is nice but the breakfasts are spectacular. There is a grill and you can order pancakes, eggs, sausage and bacon as well as oatmeal, yogurt and the more healthy fare! The rooms do have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, and the beds were comfy, so that was all we needed. We were in the room only to sleep anyhow. There was some talking on patios at night. If you have walking issues, request a ground floor room. The location is central and close to where we needed to be as we were looking for real estate in the area. The price was good for what we needed.
This hotel was booked because it was the most reasonable in price. After encountering Josh at the front desk, I see why. He is awful, clearly does not like people let alone offering any help what so ever. The rate may be the only reason people stay there. If available, stay at the Embassy Suites, so much nicer all around.
This hotel had to be built in the 1950s. Then probably had upgrades to the 1970s brown Formica countertop. The plastic tub and walls are disgusting. there is an old iron rod for a shower curtain- who uses shower curtains ? - How many bacteria are living in that? the room is big and enough to have two queen beds. The room has a private grass patio- that would be great for pets. The place is so old the portable air conditioner is outside on the ground - really noisy! The walls are not soundproof- We could hear the family next door for hours- their conversations were like they were standing in our room. the walls are so thin you can hear the water pipes when next door runs shower. The room was clean, but not the bathroom shower curtain. The room has no ceiling lights, and is very dark- this is an old ,sad overpriced hotel.- The pool area is out of the 1950s -some steel chairs on cracked cement was the pool area-not inviting- didn't go in. Terrible disappointment- and I don't know how it got this excellence award- The beds were O K , but the pillows were lumpy pieces of foam. Poor quality sheets and towels. Not worth the price ! we paid $240.00/a night from hotels.com
My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights. This hotel rooms are "tired" as others have mentioned but they are clean and a good size. The room was quiet we only once heard someone walking around in the room above us. The bed was comfy but the pillows were odd...they were small and thick. The location is good if you have a car as you will have to drive to see the attractions in the area, and to get a decent meal. It's on the 111 which goes through several cities in the Palm Springs area so location is convenient. Breakfast is complimentary and again as others have mentioned the staff who prepare the eggs, pancakes, etc are fantastic. The hotel has a nice outdoor pool and hot tub. They also have 2 tennis courts but we never used them. The only negative thing I can say is that the wifi was down for 2 days. As someone who needed to do some work while on holidays this was pretty inconvenient. They did have wifi in the lobby but that wasn't the most conducive space to work. Overall a decent hotel, but next time I think I would stay right in Palm Springs or Rancho Mirage so we're a little closer to the attractions.
AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST. This was the worst experience over the years as a Diamond Select member. Peter at the front desk was rude from the very beginning of check-in. He knowingly and deliberately lied to us, and two different reservation/customer care staff later, including an AIC supervisor from Best Western corporate, when I can no longer stand his lies and called corporate reservation line so that they could communicate with him. He went so far as to claim that the entire hotel was overbooked, which was apparently not the case -- reservation rep and the app were both able to confirm there were 10 rooms/suites available at that time. I refrained myself from inappropriate language while Peter was a loose cannon firing all over the place. He repeatedly yelled at me and the two agents. He shouted "Quiet!" to me and claimed he couldn't care less about the agents said when they were trying to calm him down. He described me as "abusive and crazy" and showed me the door saying "I am in charge and you are not welcomed here because you called my name". There were a lot more offensive words that I would not post here. Their customer supervisor has all the recordings that will back up what I said. He later demanded me to apologize to him for "calling names", while all I did was saying "Peter, can you double check the availability for me" after he lied. He obviously wanted to evade any possible complaints by "proving" he could justifiably make up anything and curse anybody because his guests were guilty of knowing whom to complain against. If Peter shown on his name tag was not for people to use, what is it for? He said he would not check me in unless I apologize for this nonsense claim. The customer care supervisor tried to call him several times to "calm him down" without much success. I was eventually forced by Peter to make an apology which I told that supervisor that for the record it was only intended to calm him down so that he would not do anything else crazy and hurt us or the rest of the guests staying at the hotel. We requested to speak with a hotel manager and no one was availablem, not even through phone calls. It was a long and painful hour for my girlfriend and myself to have to go through this. She couldn't fall asleep the entire night in fear that Peter, the only staff on site and a person that is "in charge" might be capable of something less than decent. I expected at least a face-to-face the next morning from whoever comes in office that has the capability to address this issue due to the severity of the problem. Regretably that did not happen either. I checked out at about 10:30am.
We were a of six adults traveling to the area to visit our brother who had bought a new place in Cathedral City. This is the place we stayed when my Dad was alive and lived in Thousand Palms - Ivey Ranch (he is now been passed for six years). We booked it again as we all knew where it was and how to get around without getting too lost. We also knew that they have a great cooked breakfast. The two cooks had become friends on our previous visits (one had been there like 28 years the other 11 years) They both can really cook a great fresh breakfast with your eggs to order with hash browns , bacon and sausage. The other non-cooked selections are numerous and good. That being said some of the rooms need a facelift. Our door room 328 stuck and was hard to open. The maid never left a full compliment of towels (enough for two people - bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths) The sheets seemed to be on the thin side perhaps from lots of wear. We had trouble getting the air conditioner to work properly but my brother was able to figure it out after our first night (which we were too warm). Other than that we never got extra time to use the pool area or laundry. This was a good location for us.
We have stayed here several timers now but needed a longer break. We were delighted to be in this relaxed Resort. Our room (a small suite), a larger one than we've had before was perfect for a stay of 5 nights, though it was in need of a bit of work on the paintwork. Breakfast here has always been good, the staff are excellent and the eggs and hash are just like my mother could never make them!!! The staff are always helpful and cooperative.
Stayed here for a conference. Good location...near Living Desert Zoo and a short drive into Palm Springs for walking, shopping, eating and night entertainment. The hotel rooms are all entered from the parking lot and have a nice patio view of a palm, grass area and/or pool. The room was clean, but decor and fixtures could stand some updating. The bed was not soft, but comfortable. Customer service at check-in and in the dining room was excellent. The property was quiet, except for some loud footsteps above our room. Breakfast is not the usual continental fare. You select a cooked meal from a menu, order at the counter as they make it for you. Pancakes w/ meat, eggs w/ hasbrowns and meat, oatmeal, etc. 1 choice per person. The self-serve counter has coffee, juice, yogurt, sliced bread to toast and cold cereals. Breakfast is open 7-10 am. Would stay here again for another trip.
Stayed 2 months in early 2017, 2018 and then in 2019 in Mini-Suite. Very comfortable & clean w/ Large TVs in each room. Motel centrally located btwn. Palm Springs & La Quinta & Golf Courses & Happy Hours & Shopping. Great Staff (Merilla & Nancy: Rooms); (Breakfast: Chefs: David & Mario; Waitresses: Beatrice & Eloisa) Desk: Kariolina, Veronica & Sara; plus GM: Craig G. & Asst. Mgr. Galen C.
This is a great place to stay during the Indian Wells tennis tournament. Breakfast is cooked-to-order and an hourly shuttle is available to the tennis venue. We had one night with no hot water, though this was an issue with the service company, not the management's fault. They did give us a $60 credit on our bill. Also, baseboard molding fell off and needed reattachment. Without those issues I would have rated 5, as staff was very friendly and accommodating. i would not hesitate to stay there again.
We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and have never been disappointed. We appreciate the staff, they are friendly and respectful and efficient! We are happy with our room, it is super clean and has everything we need. The grounds are lovely and well kept. Each time we return we notice improvements, this year all new beds, new fitness room, and lobby and breakfast room updated. It is centrally located to restaurants, grocery store, a mall, theatres, etc.
My husband and I and small dog have stayed here on a few occasions and it is fine. The breakfast is always a nice touch, too. The rooms are comfortable and clean. This is not a luxury hotel, but is a very nice place to stay near El Paseo Drive.
You can always count on B/W and this location is no exception. Rooms are not fancy, but clean and comfortable and the location is very handy to most everything in the area. Great breakfast, cooked to order.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel on two occasions during the last month. The rooms are well equipped including coffee machines, but the best part of the stay was the hot breakfast. The pancakes were some of the best I have ever eaten. Centrally located.
Staff were very friendly and the breakfast were great. However our room was not good. Very tired needed an upgrade. The carpets were stained and paint was falling off bathroom door and room had a strange odor. We showed pictures to the desk clerk and she said to report it to the manager when we were checking out. Not sure if the other rooms were like this but it was disappointing.
Best Western you can always count on - There rooms are not fancy but - clean and ready - The prices are a value and the cooked to order breakfast are good and a great added bonus.. We enjoyed our stay - and will continure to use the Best Western Brand in the future.
management and the staff was great, the complimentary breakfast was really good, it was in a convenient location, rooms wore nice,I would recommend it to my friends,And That right there is saying a lot. I will come back. I have nothing bad to say it was all good.
I have stayed at a lot of hotels, but this stay was one of the best my wife and I have had. Thye had a terrific kitchen staff led by Mario. Everyone was real family. The hotel isn't the fanciest, but we didn't need fancy because we were not in our room that much because of all our activities. The rooms are clean, no old shag carpeting, staff is very friendly.
Despite some efforts to update, this hotel feels cheap and old. The doors are thin and the ceilings are popcorn and low. The bathrooms have been partially updated but the showers are old and don't work well. And the walls are paper thin. We could hear every word of the phone conversations and television shows in the next room over. When neighbors closed their room doors, we could feel it. We heard every loud car driving by, every person walking by our door, and every neighboring shower and toilet too. And we were on the top floor. I can only imagine how much worse the lower floors must be. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is good but the number one reason for getting a hotel room is to have a place to sleep and it's not easy to sleep here.
The bathrooms were old. Sink too low, shower too small. Floor too slippery. Toilet too low. The management knew about these things, because, when asked, they said that they were intending to renovate the bathrooms. The breakfast was very good on the first day. But after 5 days, it got boring, and we were glad our stay was over. Elevator was the slowest in the west. Good thing they had stairs as well. Staff did a good job cleaning the room every day. I think that next time I'm there I will try to find a more modern motel.
This Best Western is staffed with the nicest professional people in the Hotel business. From the manager to the front desk assistants, chefs in the kitchen, maids, everyone is top notch. The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms and entire surrounding areas are super clean and quiet, the breakfast kitchen & lounge area is superb with wonderful chefs. A ten out of ten experience!!!
I traveled to Palm Springs for the Palm Springs dog show in January 2019. Others in my party opted for other hotels, but concluded that the Best Western Plus in Palm Desert offered the best value. The property is very attractive, centrally located with restaurants, clubs, and other attractions nearby, the service was great, and, since I was traveling with a dog, I really appreciated being able to unload directly from my parked vehicle into my room which had laminate floors instead of carpet and a sliding door accessing a lawn area where I could walk my dog. It was a great value and I highly recommend the Best Western Palm Desert Resort.
So many hotels to choose from in Palm desert/springs area! We decided on this one according to the reviews (and price, of course!). The front desk gals were both so helpful and kind. Even asked, what floor I preferred, and offered suggestions for restaurants. The room was fine, modest, small bathroom. Cute balcony was a nice touch. Although traffic all around, room was quiet. TBreakfast was good! 2 cooks were quickly cooking made to order breakfasts! Tasty! Such a nice surprise after eating so many hotel “breakfasts” of egg disks, spongey sausage or an old danish.. heated pool and hot tub... great job, Best Western!
Nice hotel Great cooked to order Beakfast - Bad custermer service from the night time front dest staff problems with the hot water in room 125 plumping in tolet and maid service for cleaning skipping our room with out a no service sign on the door.
The physical property is fine, located near a number of other hotels, including the Holiday Inn Express and Embassy Suites. It's the rooms (at least room 340). Old, in desperate need of updating. Still has cottage cheese ceilings. Pros: Comfortable bed; professional employees; excellent cook-to-order breakfast; proximity to where we needed to be and close to most shopping areas around Palm Desert Cons: Pillows were tiny. Four small, postage stamp size, pillow that felt as if they were stuffed with cottage cheese. We had a king size bed. We needed the pillow to match; no hairdryer in the room; thin blanket, without an extra one stored away somewhere in the room; more like a motel, with doors facing the outside. COST. This was not an inexpensive room. With tax it came to $175. Booked it through their website. Certainly NOT a resort (as stated in the title). There is a decent pool and basic jacuzzi. Not what I'd call a resort, though they probably charge a resort fee. If you can get a better or equal price, I recommend staying next door at the Holiday Inn Express. My in-laws stayed there and told me the room was excellent and the whole place had been recently updated. While they didn't have cooked-to-order breakfast, they did have a fine continental breakfast the Holiday Inn Express does pretty well.
Hotel is located close to restaurants and shops, and has ample free parking. Our room was very clean, just a little rough around the edges. Some attention to detail, such as the loose molding, chipped paint and tub faucet would make this a 5. Breakfast is made to order and was excellent. The chef goes out of his way to please guests. Hotel is pet friendly for a $20 per night fee. The hotel was very quiet. The
This is a great place to stay and I stay here often when I am in the area. fantastic rooms and staff! breakfast is great! I go out of my way to stay here when in the area, I have tried other hotels in the area and this one is the best!
The front desk staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the made to order breakfast. The room was clean but older. The bed was comfortable. If looking for a hotel on a budget, this would be it. Enjoyed the balcony.
Overall this was ok for a quick overnight stay , room was ok a little outdated , breakfast service/selection was good , front desk was pleasant friendly helpful , good location nearby everything plenty of parking
We stay in this hotel every time we come to the desert. The rooms are clean; the staff courteous and prompt to assist; and the breakfast is made to order and fresh, unlike many other hotels. The location is centrally located for easy access.
The hotel breakfast was great. My in-laws suite had ample room to watch the Parade and Football with the 7 of us. It was centrally located to where we wanted to go. But...our room, Room 143, when the air conditioner went on, it sounded like a Harley reaving up its engine. Woke me up every time it would go on. We tried to run the fan the entire time, but the room got hot. We shut it off but the room got hot. We had no choice but to run it on Auto. I also question the hardwood floors. They look great but my son got up off the bed with his socks on and slipped backwards. He almost hit his head on the nightstand. Luckily I was able to grab him. My in-laws loved their room and my brother in law had no problems with his room. If you get room 143, request another room.
I just want to say the supervisor working on Sat Nov, 24th 2018 I think her name is Amanda (or Amber - I'm so sorry mom brain) is wonderful. She was so pleasant and helped us with all our needs. We will definitely be coming back because of her! Thank you , Jenny Borum
Overall a great place to stay. Very clean and updated. Friendly staff. Remote for the ac/heat unit was a plus. Very nice breakfast the next morning with eggs to order. Only complaint is the foamy, fat pillows. Wish there was more selection . Would stay again.
Yes, the room was nicely decorated, the shower worked, the heating/cooling worked, the bed was comfortable, but it was the breakfast that made this hotel a winner! Cooked to order in a lovely setting with friendly staff. What better way to start the day!
Don't go. The exterior is so outdated. My neighbors decided from 2-4 am to watch television so loud, I could hear every word. I slept maybe 4 hours. When I tried calling the front desk, nobody picked up the phone. The bed was hard and the pillows were small. The bathroom door was squeaky, really squeaky. At 6 am, the room cleaners started pushing their carts by our door. The breakfast was good. Made to order. The hard wood floors were nice for our dog. That was all the positives I can take away from this old, dilapidated hotel.
I have stayed at many Best Western Plus locations and have found them all excellent. The Price is right, the rooms clean and very lovely, the amenities excellent and alway a breakfast...the breakfast at this location was cooked to order and excellent. I think the quality and the price mak the Best Western Plus an exceptional choice.
Very happy with the service from beginning to the end of my stay here at Best Western Plus Palm Spring Resort. My first trip to this city and didnt have any reservations at all but got a very welcoming reception and very professional. The front desk that night was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you , Amanda.
Needed a one night stay in the area and read great reviews of the hotel. Asked for a top floor and quieter area of the hotel, and it was granted. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Breakfast had a large choice of foods and food to order.
We had a two day stop in Palm Desert. We stood in this nice resort an had golf all around this hotel. excellent value for the price, clean, friendly staff, best located for golfers who enjoy playing in this area. We will certainly come again.
At the end of a beautiful 3 weeks' trip from San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Escalante, Blanding, Flagstaff and Lake Havasu - and before continuing to Los Angeles - we stopped for one night at the BW Plus Palm Desert Resort. And yes, this was a perfect decision! Very nice hotel offering all the great comfort, infrastructure and "amenities" of a BW PLUS Resort, including spacious, clean and quiet rooms, friendly and helpful staff, We enjoyed our short stay very much and should we come back to Palm Desert, our choice will again be the BW Plus Palm Desert Resort!
We stayed 2 nights in late October in a King room with patio. The room was super clean and it was quiet. We enjoyed the location, the courtyard patio and found the staff to be pleasant. We would return to this location.
It is a nice place to stay. The staff is very friendly, the room was clean and nice and their are several useful amenities included. On the negative side, the pillows could be better, the air conditioner was noisy and the fan in the bathroom is extremely noisy. All in all however it was a pleasant stay. I would stay again.
Very nice place to stay with a full breakfast made to order. Great beds, very comfortable, rooms are very nice and comfortable with a nice balcony. The room has a nice couch in the room as well as a frig., microwave and Kuerig coffee maker.
Reserving a room was easy, check in was fast, and my breakfast was AMAZING! I couldn't believe they offer a breakfast like that for free. It made the whole rest of my day amazing! The bed was comfortable. The shower was clean and it just felt like I was right at home. Everyone who helped me was so nice and very helpful!
This was our second visit and plan to comeback next year. We like the suite with a patio, comfortable bed, separate living room and quiet location. We love this area and will be returning again next year!
First time here and the best Best Western we have been to. Very clean and nicely landscaped. Oh the first night we had a maintenance issue for which they more than took care of us. They have an excellent cooked to order breakfast, which was excellently prepared They even cooked poached eggs correctly, which seems had to do with some restaurants. Will be back as often as we are able.
The room was nicely decorated, clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff was friendly, professional, and made us feel welcome. The cook to order breakfasts was a pleasant surprise. The location was perfectly centralized to shopping, restaurants, golf and entertainment.
Great stay, every experience was top notch . From my checkin , the room, how quiet it was and the awesome breakfast.....this was a excellent stay. I will always stay here on my 2-3 trips to the desert and at a family/friends gathering, I told all how great the place was.
Staff accommodating and friendly. We always stay at The Best western Plus in Palm Desert, CA when we are in the area.Rooms are clean and nice.Breakfast is basically cooked to order and the breakfast area is nice and is clean.
The evening and night weather was perfect to sleep with the slider door open all night. No A/C noise to keep me up. I slept well and needed to. Thank you for such a lovely stay. I always look forward to the full service breakfast. Perfect price as well.
This hotel has clean and big rooms. The staff is really friendly and very helpfull. Restaurants are close by. We would stay here again. A big plus is breakfast over here. They make you fresh breakfast .
We stay in Best Western hotels a lot because they are consistent in quality. But this one in Palm Desert far out ranked the average Best Western. Beautiful hotel, beautiful room, caring staff. The furniture was comfortable as was the bed. They have made to order breakfast which was quick, efficient and very, very good. I wish they could all be like this
There are a lot of mid range hotels in Palm Springs. This was clean and good enough. Staff was friendly. Rooms clean. Also an outdoor pool if that's your thing. Although in 105 degrees not for me! Also a lot of places to eat close by.
Room was good but air con was like a jet engine. Essential to have air con in this region. If you cannot sleep through noisy air con as for another room or stay somewhere else. Pool was good, breakfast was good and freshly cooked.
We were traveling through and chose to stay here for the night. The hotel is older but has been updated. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The check in and check out process was easy. Breakfast was included with the stay but we did not eat here, we checked out before it started at 7am. I would stay here again if in the area. 3.5**
This was one if the wrost experience, television didnt work and my room was leaking water from the ceiling, they did take off 25% off but It should of been more. They never did come check before we left and I told them that the ceiling was looking like it was going to come down, his response was we will send someone up there. Never came
I have stayed at a few different hotels in the area. I enjoy this place because it has a private patio and all the internet works great. The staff is always on top of it and I love the quiet at night.
We stayed here for labor day weekend, our room was never cleaned even after calling the lobby 3 times it was still not cleaned but the maid did take the tip we left but did not clean the room, not happy
I have stayed at this location every time I go out to the desert. Rooms and property are always clean and at night it is quiet. Front desk staff is very helpful. I have never had a bad experience at this location
Did not sleep well because the walls are so thin you can here your neighbor in the next room like he is in your bed. The location is great and the grounds and the breakfast cooked to order was good. They were very helpful at the front desk to change us to a nicer more quiet room in the back of the hotel
Friendly helpful staff, good clean room, and a good pool, overall excellent value for money, and we would highly recommend Also Palm Springs is well worth a visit, a fun day while on holiday, when it was picked as a stopover
Stayed here for business, room was clean, the internet was good. From what I saw of the breakfast it was made fresh to order--never had it. The hotel is in a good location. I would stay again if I went back out for work but not in July way too hot for me :)
Unlike other Best Westetn hotels, there is no coffee outside of the room after breakfast. The coffee in the room is like burnt mud this is from someone who knows about coffee. Reception suggested we go to Starbucks. The ground floor rooms have a rear access that lead into a green area, this was a nice addition. Upper floors have balconies. The power in the room kept tripping out. The decor in the room was tired. The WiFi was good and stable. The breakfast choice was really good and cooked to order but it did not take long for a massive queue to form and we waited in line for 23 minutes. The pool area was nice but we think it was heated even though it was about 104f / 40c it seemed much hotter than you would have expected from external warming.
We stayed 2 days July 4 and 5. The breakfast is the best,-housekeepers and staff are friendly. The smoking policy is a joke. No smoking in rooms, but they allow smoking anywhere else on the property unless a complaint is turned in-then they will direct the people smoking to the designated smoking areas. To turn in a complaint you need room number and description before you call and complain-. There are little patios on the lower floor and the smoke just settles in the courtyard area which isn't ok. A better plan would be for the employees to tell the customers when they check in that smoking is only allowed in the designated areas. Then enforce it rather than expect the customer to do all the leg work and play detective.
Spent 3 nights at the Best Western Palm Desert Resort, the place and location was really good. Facilities were ok as well, good pool, laundry facilities in every building. Breakfast was good as well. Eggs cooked to order and how you like them. Front desk staff always helpful. The only thing I would have changed was my bed was a bit lumpy although at the time we stayed it looked as they were in a process of replacing all the mattresses so I'm sure that would not be an issue now. Overall great place to stay when in Palm Desert area.
Convenient parking, spacious room, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, fridge, good sized tv and great price make this resort a great value. Morning was cool enough to sit outside in the lovely patio to eat our simple, yet satisfying breakfast, included! A few minuses...room decor was updated, but the room's electrical was not. Hard to find outlets for charging devices. Bed comfort could be better and I would request full size pillows in place of the square ones. AC worked well but noisy. All in all, we found this a lovely, comfortable room. We visit family often in the desert and we will definitely stay again. We will bring our grandchildren next time and enjoy the lovely pool!
Very spacious room, large Kingsize bed . A safe in the room. Large bathroom. Excellent air conditioning (you need that being out in the desert) restaurant does a delicious breakfast cooked in front of you, with lovely staff.
We found the hotel very special, plus centrally located. We enjoyed going in the jacuzzi at night and watch the amazing sky full of stars. Breakfast was ok.. Room was very nice and big with a balcony.. People at the front desk very friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back in August.
The most important things to me when evaluating a hotel are sleep comfort/quality and cleanliness. Other things are less important, and this Best Western failed on both of the important ones. First, the positives: The free breakfast was better than most. Cooked to order with a nice selection. The front desk staff were nice, polite and tried to be helpful. The grounds and pool were very well kept and nice. Now the problems: The beds are like trampolines. One movement and they bounce like an old car that needs shock absorbers. The bathroom wasn't clean -I'm not sure what color the calking around the tub was supposed to be, but it probably wasn't black. The A/C kept the room cool, but whenever the compressor came on it sounded like a lawn mower. There was coffee and various things to put in coffee, but no coffee maker. The tub/shower controls are probably 30 years old and the temperature regulator was frozen. We thought there was no hot water until I gave it a really hard twist and it moved. There's only 1 electrical outlet available for use. I could go on. Basically, the motel is in serious need of upgrade. We checked out a few days early.
The staff here was amazing. Everyone that I spoke to went out of their way to assist me. But the best part was the Continental Breakfast. A chef cooked what you would like to have to order. This was the best in all my very frequent travels..
Love this hotel! Best hot breakfast everyday of the week. Clean rooms and facility and nice staff. We were early and did have to wait for our room, but the staff put us in a downstairs suite that suited my son better as he did not have to use stairs that way. I didn't ask for this, but the staff somehow figured out a ground floor room would suit us better. Thanks Best Western!
The room was a little small for 4 of us & was not very clean, the breakfast was excellent & prepared in front of us - you literally just tell the chef what you want. There's a couple of food places local & the parking was okay, we had to park the other side of the car park though because someone took our spot.
Helpful and accommodating front desk staff. The room and bathroom were nice and clean. Pretty pool area with all the trees and a pergola for those who want shade. Great made-to-order brekkie every morning and a super friendly cook. Dog friendly (yay!). Quite close to shops on El Paseo and dining. Great mid-week rates. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is in an excellent location - easy to find, nearby restaurants, other services, etc. Even though it is on a fairly busy street, the room was very quiet. Nice pool. Great made-to-order breakfast included. Would highly recommend.
I don't really travel all that much, but I when I do, I always look for a Best Western Hotel. Best Western is very very good quality without the five-star prices. I highly recommend joining the Best Western rewards program. On my most recent stay, they upgraded me to a suite at no extra charge because of being a Rewards member! The rooms are always very clean the beds are so comfortable, the decor is always modern and stylish, and the breakfasts are usually always excellent!
Great place to relax and rest after a long drive. We enjoyed the clean pool and loved that the facility was pet friendly. Thank you for clean and beautiful place. We hope to return soon and stay a little long.
The hotel is kept very clean in all areas. The pool is sparkling and clear; the grounds are clean, the dining area and lobby is clean, the rooms are clean. The housekeeping staff work very hard every day and is not to go unnoticed - bravo! David, the chef for breakfast, is very good! Every day his breakfasts are fantastic! He mans the stove with 4 pans going at one time while also manning the stovetop with a mound of fresh home fries, bacon and sausages, and pancakes made to order - bravo! He serves breakfast from 7-10am daily and when breakfast is done, he cleans the entire kitchen spotless! The beds are very comfortable. This has been a very good experience. All staff are to be congratulated on jobs well done!
Service was great. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was the real thing versus powdered eggs....... Nothing fancy about this place but the price was very reasonable and all was more than adequate.
We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. 1st, at check in we were upgraded to a suite, sweet! Very nice rooms that have nice furnishings, patio or balcony and have Kurig machine's (only place we've stayed so equipped). Rooms are well appointed as well as clean and tidy. Hotel is pet friendly, has cooked to order breakfast (very good) and is conveniently located to shopping, dinning and COD. One of the best hotel experiences we've ever had and each stay is as good as the last. It's our place to stay while visiting the Palm Springs area.
Great location and value for exploring the Palm Springs area! Stayed 12 nights. We have been coming to this facility for a Winter vacation the past 6 years and it has an EXCELLENT management team with a friendly and well trained staff from front desk through housekeeping. I see familiar re[eat guests from year to year which is a good indicator. BWPD has a satisfying cooked to order breakfast with choices the chefs quickly prepare. The rooms are clean, spacious with a Keurig coffee maker and an in- room safe which is nice. This is the top of my list for BW's in the U.S. for what I like and feel is important.... and I have stayed at many. I have nothing bad to say about this property.
We found ourselves in a pickle with Coachella deciding to delay entry for their second weekend parking and camping. So we needed a room for the night and the BW was willing to sell us a room at seriously distressed pricing. (A big WIN for them.) Having said that the room was very spacious, we had a court-yard view at the back of the property and the beds were extremely comfortable. The stay included a cooked breakfast which was done on demand by their short order cook - very good indeed - and set us up for an early start at Coachella the next day. All good!!
Had a pretty good stay. The room was ok. The bed was worn out - so it sagged. The maid forgot the bath towels so at 11:00pm, I made a trip to the office. I wanted a shower before bed. The women behind the front desk was less than apologetic but things worked out. Breakfast was pretty good, in fact better than the average BW fare. Breakfast was cooked to order. The facility is in close proximity to great shopping.
Now this is not a bad hotel, if you're paying the standard rate. However, I stayed here with my daughter as it was near the shuttle bus stop for the Stagecoach festival, and the price was far from standard. The standard price for 4 nights is less than $400, at festival time I paid in excess of $1000 and others who booked later paid more. This is not a $250+ a night hotel. At $100 a night I can live with a very creaky bed, noisy sitcom, a tiny bar and little in the way of amenities, but at the price I paid I felt I got better value at the hotel del Coronado. I fully understand the concept of supply and demand and I knew the price when I booked, but this is no better than the scalping on secondary ticket sites. I believe the prices substantially increased after I booked here. Enough of the moaning now, Tripp at reception was very pleasant, the room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good.
Enjoyed our stay at The Best Western Plus Palm Desert Resort. We stayed here the night before we were due at car camping for Coachella and the beds were comfortable, room was quiet & we enjoyed the breakfast selection! Our room had a balcony that we used in the morning, which was facing the courtyard, again quiet & they had the most beautiful pink flowers all over the property! The only thing negative I have: the coffee machine in our room leaked water.
This Hotel is perfect to stay at for location and amanities. If yoou are looking for high end shopping you are just a few blocks from Paseo Blvd. I did'nt' like that the price for Sunday night was 299.00 and Monday night was 107.00 very large price difference.
Great hotel, at very reasonable price. Awesome breakfast and really nice pool area. Easy to get to, nice choice of restraunts nearby. Would definitely recommend for any type travel. Super clean & friendly.
Stayed in hotel and cut finger because of broken glass on he glass. went to emergency.Pillows was not comfortable and asked front desk person to fix it and they refused because it was night. Be careful with cleaning room because so dangerous for help
This hotel has a great location, on Hwy 111, our room faced the court yard so it was very quiet. The court yard was filled with palm trees and beautiful flowering plants and the pool. 2nd floor room had a nice balcony with table and 2 chairs. Room was clean and bathroom was well appointed with thick towels, shampoos, conditioners, and shower cap. Small couch in the room was nice. BREAKFAST was amazing. Hot cooked to order breakfast was fantastic, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon or sausage, lots of other items to choose from too, my husband had the pancakes and said they were delicious
We used this hotel for friends and family without unlimited money. It costs on third the price of our fancy destination wedding resort hotel located just 1.3 miles down the road. Everyone liked the breakfast, and they used the swimming pool, too.
Great stay in Palm Desert. I highly recommend this hotel. It covers all of my travel needs, and is close to great eating, a store if needed, and easy to get to multiple areas. Business or pleasure, I will be staying at this hotel again.
We were booked to stay six nights, we left after the first. We went to a new hotel that was less expensive. We were put in two different rooms, both had door frames were split and damaged and the lock sets were missing screws, you could move the door 3/4 inch while it was locked, not safe. We noticed most doors were like that. It stunk in both rooms like cheap hotel soap. The bathrooms were a joke, the shower head was broken, leaked and sprayed all over, and near impossible to set the water temperature, the toilet and tub were from 1970s. The pillows on the worn out bed were child size. Most of the staff we encountered, were no help at all. The first girl, moved us from one horrible room to a worse one, we were on the top floor, next to the laundry and mechanical room, and across from the elevator, that desperately need repair. When something in the storage room turned on, it was scary loud and actually shook our bed. The room hadn't been rented since before daylight saving time. Breakfast food is very rationed, very basic at best. When I went to check out, I stood right in front of a girl, scrolling on her cell phone, after 3 minutes or so, she looks up, and says, oh I didn't see you. I could go on, but to summarize, it was awful. There is a building with newer suites, choose that one. We went to a hotel in Cathedral city that was less than a year old, less money and so amazing.
We booked this hotel while visiting Palm desert this spring. The room was super comfortable and had a very nice pool to relax. They even have larger suites if needed. There was a coin laundry facility on our floor and 2 tennis courts. The hotel is located 5 min from the Indian wells tennis centre, and close to restaurants and great shopping. Its about a 35 min drive along Hwy 111 to Palm springs. No charge for your rental car parking. One of our most favourite parts of this hotel, was the special breakfast which was included with the room. They prepare fresh eggs in front of you with bacon and hash browns, or you can have the most delicious fluffy pancakes you've ever tasted, amazing oatmeal and other choices. It was totally worth the value if you don't want to spend the big $$ for the resort hotels in the areal. We would definitively come back to this hotel on our next vacation in Palm springs or palm desert.
Stayed overnight in an 2nd floor upstairs room. I stayed here once before when the rooms were old and dated. The remodeled rooms were a much needed overhaul! I appreciated the coffee maker, clean bath and updated furniture. It is near shopping, great restaurants, and Starbucks across street. There are a lot of places to stay in the area and I would stay here again. Breakfast room was nice and large so you don't feel like you are eating with a bunch of adults in their pj's. -1 star because the door was severely damaged. I wish I would have notified the manager.
This Best Western Plus hotel is well located right on the border of Palm Desert and Indian Wells. The rooms are comfortable with king bed, cozy loveseat, nice sized table with lamp and electric plugs, refrigerator, large closet and flat screen TV. The bath is standard fare except with a humorously low sink and counter and a loud fan that comes on with the light. A huge benefit of this hotel is the excellent breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, hash browns, bacon and sausage are custom cooked for each customer. Very nice. There also is a breakfast buffet with cereals, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea and juices. The breakfast rooms both inside and outside have plenty of seating. It is lovely to linger here. The complex has a nice pool, beautiful plantings and many palm trees.
The hotel is older, but has been modernized. It is extremely pet-friendly, easy in and out rooms, with a front entry door, and a door to the beautiful courtyard. Walking our dog was easy on the city sidewalk just outside of the hotel. Eggs were cooked to order at the free breakfast. The staff was friendly and efficient. The internet worked well. It was a great value for the money. I would stay here again.
This was in a good location, near El Paseo, restaurants, & many attractions. Nice, friendly staff, the room was dated but quiet. Great hot breakfast cooked to order. We didn't use the pool but there were a number of guest enjoying the area.
TV didnt work in the room just a sound, on the curtain was very big hole, sheets and towels was stained asked front desk for new towels and they gave us after an hr. Shower head was leaking everywhere even cloth which left on counter was wet. Pillows are very small and not for sleep. Asked for a new pillows and they said they are sold out and dont have a new pillows but during check-out near the balcony curtain i cut my toe with a piece of glass. Went to emergency and unfortunately after years spend in best western its the most horrible experiance too finish stay with emergency room
The "resort" is more of a motel style hotel rooms. The facilities are quite dated but it's clean. The room is very spacious. There is a standard pool for you to relax. This is a good place if you are visiting the are and will spend most of the day playing golf/tennis or attending sporting/music events. This is probably not the resort if you are expecting a romantic getaway in the resort. If you have the right expectation it offers great value. The hotel offers free breakfast and free parking - added to the great value. Hot breakfast with eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage offered. The staff is nice and helpful. Overall I had a fairly nice stay and it meets all my expectation.
I'm sad to say that the hotel is a joke. You pay more than $200 a night, and they promise you wi-fi and then the wi-fi doesn't work throughout my entire stay (I stayed 16 nights). When I called reception to complain about the wi-fi, the employee at the front desk told me there is nothing he can do. The hotel is supposed to be the official hotel for media covering the Indian Wells tennis tournament. How can you promise wi-fi to journalists who desperately need it and then it doesn't work? And you offer no solution? This is completely unacceptable. The hotel is definitely poor value for money. Also the housekeeping were yelling in the room that has a connecting door with mine waking me up at 7:00am.
We stayed here for a week. Hotel is nice, great location, easy access. Room was mostly clean (stuff that daily room service is in charge of), but it was in desperate need of much more detailed deep cleaning. It is very dated (doors sticking, faucets from 50 years ago, etc.), but functional. Price seemed reasonable. Front desk and room service personnel were great. Swimming pool is nice and well maintained. I did have problem with breakfast personnel though. We were told we have breakfast buffet. There are few things there to choose from (few options for cereal, bread, some yogurt). There is also a station where you can order eggs, pancakes, etc. Two cooks that work there are by far the rudest people I've seen working in a hotel. One of them was super rude and was yelling at customers who take too much food (by his estimate) from the cereal station (I've seen him yell at an old guy and chase him out). I was there with my daughter and she got a seat at the table, while I was waiting in the line for pancakes. I asked for 3 pancakes and 2 eggs and he replied something I could not understand and then gave me 2 pancakes and 2 eggs. I thought he misheard my order, but did not want to hold the line, so I took this to my daughter and went back to get another pancake. I waited in line again and then he yelled at me “why are you back, I already gave you food”. I told him I ordered 3 pancakes and 2 eggs and only got 2 of each and they he yelled back that I only get 2/2. I tried to explain to him that I was ordering for 2 people, but he wasn't listening anymore. He made another pancake while shaking his head and making me feel like I came there to steal something. Then he slammed the plate when he was done. I just took that and left without trying to further argue about this, as he seemed like he was ready to explode, and I did not want to subject my kid to that. Luckily this was on our last day, but if it was not, I would have NOT gone back there again. On previous days, my kid was eating pancakes, so one of us ordered 2 at the time (I was eating cereal, trying to not go back too many times). That is why we did not get his wrath earlier I think. I do not think I will never go back to that hotel. It is just not worth it.
Hotel is located on highway 111, within walking distance to eating places and east end of el Paseo. Although elevator appears old, the other aspects of the hotel are kept up well. Pool is only 5' deep and not too large, there is adequate lounge chairs and a hot pool. At breakfast, two chefs are on duty to offer a selection of hot choices, plus there are plenty of other options. Printer in computer area works well for printing boarding passes. We asked to change our room, instead of a king to two queens, which they said they would do, but on the designated day, no one came to us, which didn't bother us much as we looked out onto the beautiful flowering shrub and tennis courts out the back. Quieter there, too, as 111 is usually busy. Overall, a positive experience!
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was made to order and the suite had a little patio for us to share with our neighbors. It was perfect. We loved everything about this BW!!
This place was great, we stayed two nights, quiet lovely breakfast with a menu free with room. Rooms clean and well set for travelers with WiFi and desk, couch and nice bed. Bathroom clean and roomy. Would recommend and will stay here again when in the area. Price good!
Great experience here would stay again when in the area! Staff was friendly and helpful; common area accommodations pleasant and a outdoor pool for cooling off and relaxation. Our king bed was very comfortable and room very clean. Our balcony overlooked the inner courtyard garden area; quiet and relaxing.
Nice hotel, great breakfast made to order! Comfy beds. Nice location with restaurants and shopping nearby. The reception staff are very efficient and the breakfast chefs are so friendly and also very efficient!
Enjoyed our stay here, breakfast room staff were especially nice. Room could have used a deep cleaning in corners etc. Also, the hotel is very large and the stairway configuration is confusing, especially since we were given a room overlooking the parking lot that was very far away from the lobby and breakfast room...hotel was not very full so we didn't understand why we were given such a distant room.
Located just off Hwy 111 and Hospitality Row, a ‘typical' Plus property (which is a good thing)—PLUS, an included cook to order breakfast equal to restaurants! Rooms are updated and well equipped, and the beds are comfy. We spent 3 weeks there while remodeling and it was the right choice and the right price.
Wow...... We did not have reservations so walked in and asked for a room for two nights with king bed if possible. We were not only offered all of it but at a great rate. We enjoyed the outdoor pool which was clean and fairly private for having second floor balconies peering down. The included breakfasts were absolutely the best we have had at any hotel that includes breakfast with the room rate. Comfortable bed and clean room. Just cannot say enough great things about this hotel. They go beyond to make happy customers. We're able to park our truck with our bikes on without worrying about theft or being vandalized . Hope to spend another couple of days on our way back and a week or so there next year.
Lovely grounds and lovely layout add to the delight of staying at this hotel. "Trip" at the Front Desk was wonderful in getting us settled in. The help is just outstanding in courtesy and making one feel welcome. The breakfast is the best I have ever had in a hotel. Your breakfast is cooked to order! This is my first stay but far from the last. I compliment the staff and management.
Stayed here for 5 days and have no complaints. we are a rewards member and got a great rate on the ground floor room. Yes the room is a tad worn, ( is probably a pet room but smelled fine and very clean) comfortable and had everything we needed. The made to order breakfast was a real plus too. the coffee maker in our room gave us delicious brew every morning and we enjoyed a few hours at the pool. which was very clean and a good temperature to cool off in. Also not many people using it. They could up their toiletries in the bathroom, no body lotion or cotton swabs, things like that. So many good restaurants nearby, close to the zoo and living desert... street fair etc. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Stayed here last January and glad we stayed here again. Clean quiet rooms. Nice pool area and grounds. Great custom breakfast. Pet friendly. We did not have pet, but appreciated how guests took care of the many dogs we saw.
I am not one to be harsh and criticize a hotel because I work in this industry and currently work at a luxury hotel. So I do understand the labor and hard work the employees have to deal with in order for an operating hotel to run smoothly. All I expect is for the face of the hotel to show kindness and to be simply nice and show some consideration towards their guests. I understand that the level of hospitality is not a 5 star, but from my recent stay at the Best Western Plus Resort in Palm Desert Dec 31-Jan 1, I have never felt so angry and urgent to write a review or to contact a manager so fast. It was very early in the morning, and all I wanted was to just take a hot shower, I ran the shower for about 10 mins and no hot water was running, I then called the front desk. I never mentioned to Pete that I wanted to move rooms, I just simply wanted someone to maybe check it out and see why it was not working. I understood that the hotel was fully committed as they had no extra vacant rooms to be moved into. As soon as I called, I spoke to Pete who instantly became defensive for no reason. All I said was that I am not sure but I don't think my hot water is working. He replied "I do not know what you want me to do about it, you can deal with management tomorrow." I was in so much shock to his response, that I had no words. Pete then said, "we don't have any rooms so I cannot move you." I then say this is how you are going to accommodate me by being completely rude? I asked for his name, and he could not even answer me for a good minute, I then asked again saying, are you afraid to give me your name. All he responds back is that he is sending someone up to check the shower and hangs up and completely refuses to give me his name. This all could have been avoided if Pete just apologized and said he will be sending someone to check it out for me in the first place. It gets better, so my boyfriend actually went down to the front desk to get the front desk agent's name, which we now know is Pete. When my boyfriend asked why he did not want to give his name on the phone, Pete responded back saying "Go back to sleep! You just want to cause trouble." I seriously cannot believe how Pete even has this customer related job. I am so bothered by this experience. I don't even want any kind of compensation, all I want by writing this review is to get in contact with the general manager and to know that their will be some sort of better training for Pete and for the future employees at this hotel. The security who helped me with my shower was very nice and should maybe consider switching positions with Pete. The hotel room itself was perfectly fine, besides not knowing how to turn the hot water on for the shower. Would have been a pleasant stay if it wasn't for Pete.
Room was clean and bed was comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was great, with made-to-order eggs/ hash brown and bacon or sausage. Entry off Main Street was a little tricky to navigate. Reltive has also stayed at this Best Western and also very pleased with his stay.
We were only there one night traveling from Napa to Tucson, but it was not a good experience overall. The keys did not work well in the door and upon inspection it looks like someone had tried to break in previously as the door jam and lock were damaged. As we were on the ground level it created a bit of anxiety over safety and we were forced to use the sliding glass door to enter/exit. The room needed updating. For one night I guess it was ok, but would not stay there again. On a positive, the breakfast was a pleasant surprise and delicious!
We checked in this hotel for Christmas and it was very nice Lee decorated and this customer service what is excellent on arrival and departure. Our rooms were right next to each other and when I asked to change from a king or two queens there was no problem. They made sure we had upstairs on the third floor without a concern and the entire hotel is smoke-free. The only problem we had that we did not complain about was the bed closest to the door was wobbly and kept pushing against the plug for the bedside lamp and turning it off and on. The caulking in the bathroom on the counter was missing the toilet seat was wobbly and the heater in the entry was loud but it worked well just loud when trying to sleep everything else was great. The breakfast is the best at any best Western I would definitely recommend people stay here
The prepared-to-order breakfast added an elegance hard to match. As usual for Best Western the rooms would be hard to improve. The housekeeping staff knew their guests, somehow. Being addressed by surname by one made me feel special. The pool and hot-tub were well maintained. The grounds were beautiful. My partner and I were there for only 9 days.
This is by far the nicest Best Western I have ever experienced. The breakfast was first class, the rooms were very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were helpful. The pool and hot tub were both in clean working order.
Back for more, hot made to order breakfast and much more, that's the way to start your day. Heated pool and spa (104F) for after all the shopping or hiking! Close to shopping mall and restaurants. good size rooms with balcony. recommended meutermedia
This is a great hotel. Great service all around for a very decent price. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with excellent customer service. Check in and check out was quick and simple. Guest services in general were great!
Outstanding experience and value. We've stayed here on three different occasions for multiple days and have never been disappointed. Breakfasts' are superb, the staff friendly and helpful. Conveniently located and easy to find.
Love this place.Have come for years with my dogs and now a first trip for my terrier. Breakfast is wonderful. The cleaning staff is wonderful, room is so nice. The front desk staff are the best. Had so much fun chatting with them . This is my getaway from San diego when I need a break along with visiting Joshua Tree National Monument one of the wonders of the world.
We really enjoyed this stay, great location, clean hotel, good pool although very busy. The grounds are nice. The absolute best breakfast we have had outwith a really expensive hotel. The chef made breakfast to order, there was a huge array of breakfast pastries, cereals juices too. We ate outside and it was lovely, what a nice way to start the day. The area around was great, lots of places to eat.
We found this hotel well located near food and shopping. The grounds are very nice as is the pool and hot tub. The ground floor room we stayed at was not well sound insulated from the neighbors. We would recommend selecting an upstairs room.
My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Palm Desert Resort, Palm Desert and were very pleased. The location was great because it was close to many good restaurants. This hotel is clean and modern and the grounds are beautiful. The staff was great! We had a little trouble logging on to the wifi so they upgraded us to a suite on an upper level and we were able to use the wifi easily. We will be back to stay at this Best Western!
Enjoyed another annual trip to Palm Desert. The weather was great and accommodations good in the Best Western. Enjoyed pool and hot tub. Pool is not heated but still okay for this time of year. Again the breakfast is a highlight of our time here. Amanda treated use well at the front desk and cleaning staff always do a great job. This was our first time in a standard room which was adequate. Hope to be back soon!
This is the fifth year we have had an extended stay at the BW Palm Desert. The staff have treated us like family during our stays. The cooked breakfast is consistently excellent and always served with a smile.
Friendly staff. Convenient location. Good property amenities - tennis and pool with spa. Easy to find. Very near some excellent attractions - Sunnylands, Shields Date Farm, downtown Palm Springs, the Agua Clientele Casino, and other great spots.
Great place to stay in the Palm Desert area. Clean rooms, nice area close to many good restaurants, pleasant staff, good value. Been here many times and will continue. They've had some issues in the past with keeping things in good working order, but they've improved greatly in that area.
The hotel was great and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very well maintained. We especially enjoyed the cook to order breakfast. The chef was very personable. We will definitely be returning.
Nice location in Palm Desert with excellent quality and upkeep of hotel facilities. We didn't use the pool but it was warm enough to do so and it looked very inviting - more like a spa than your usual BW! Bed was too comfortable making it hard to get up for breakfast ... nothing else to complain about! Thanks for a pleasant stay!
I travel for a living and stay at BW often because of the rewards. I wasn't offered any perks on check in (standard procedure for BW Rewards members), the attitude of the staff is very dismissive, and the décor of the room I stayed in was so outdated the room actually FELT dirty. I would not recommend this hotel. Its incredibly expensive for zero service.
I think I have answered everything. What more can I say? OK! in addition, we arrived approximately three PM and was shfftled to the second floor which we handled ok using the elevator, thank you. Very few cars seen in the parking area,at the time and appeared to fill up rooms (first come gets the furthest rooms) Didn't want to keep complaining as we are seen as the old folks and you probably don't care for my survey anyway. Jesse and Peggy Mann (My 5 minute survey lasted well in addition)
No frills for sure, but the breakfast is a huge bonus. Cooked to order hot breakfast! Can't beat THAT! Maintenance guy was great too, came over and fixed a light immediately. Pool is nice too. Just need better mattress and pillows and it would be perfect!
There were multiple hotels in the area, we chose Best Western because of the value for what we got, Clean rooms, comfortable beds, excellent HOT cooked to order, breakfast, and staff is accommodating. Pool and spa were clean and inviting
I've been to this property numerous times and all the staff is friendly, and wants to make sure everything is in order. They always have a friendly smile and a "welcome" greeting. The made to order breakfast is better than most of the other properties (except "high end" who have restaurants). It is nice to have a hot breakfast.
The hotel is nice and in a good location...for a great price. The room was very clean and quite comfortable for the AAA rate of $100.00. Excellent front desk service and bed provided a good nice sleep.
We had a great stay. Thanks again The room was quite clean and the balcony was great. The staff was all so nice. We rode as a group on Harley Davidsons on a overnighter trip. The breakfast was so spectacular. Cooked to perfection. We would recommend this Hotel with all its amenities to our friends.
We were very happy with the Resort, that is why we came back again.Especially the breakfast in the morning, the selection is better than most hotels that have breakfast included and the 2 cooks are very friendly.
The hotel is overall comfortable, even though it is a very large hotel. The employees were friendly and nice. The breakfast options were a little confusing as they were "grouped" into certain items. The bagels were not out with the bread, and the bread choices were limited. There was no microwave in the room and the closet doors did not open all the way. I would give it an average rating.
We spent wounderful golf days in the desert, living in this hotel in the center of hundred golf courses, and great nature as the San Juancito peak or the oasis of 1000 Palms. Best Western is always a guaranteed value for friendly staff, comfortable rooms, cleanliness, good breakfast buffet and well situated, good value for the price!
Don't get fooled by this picture you see on their website......it is not a hotel nor a resort. Its a motel......the suite I was in was decent clean, but customer service was a different story, the front desk staff and housekeeping were not friendly. Someone got into my suite the 3rd day of my stay, don't know how but a few of my items were taking. The next day some got into my suite again but nothing was taking but the suite door was ajar. I felt very unsafe and violate. Both times I filled a police statement, but haven't hear back what they find. The GM of this motel brush me off sounded that it wasn't their issues, the police looking into, basically avoid answering my questions I have send him thru email. This is the worst experience I have ever encounter.
The breakfast here was amazing - custom prepared. BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED ROOM AND SURROUNDINGS - GREAT VALUE FOR MODEST PRICE! hANDICAPPED BARS NOT NEEDED BUT WELCOME. Look forward to next visit! Blue skies - but miss the Desert of old - everything now developed - no desert left :-(.
This place is great! Room had a balcony over pool. Very nice area of town. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Front desk was friendly, helpful and knowledgable about area. We stayed for 2 nights and never heard any noise from other rooms. Our room was quiet, clean, and very comfy. The wifi was great, pool was refreshing and clean. Breakfast was outstanding. made to order eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. a great upgrade. There were several meetings going on in the hotel main building, but we heard nothing and there was plenty of parking. Beautifully landscaped, very relaxing....
beautiful grounds lots of parking pool chairs need to be replaced maybe more towels and staff must check, location is great rooms very clean would recomend to everyone breakfast excellent need muffins and bagels maybe an omellette option
Impossible to expect individual needs for long standing customers by this motel. Not recommended for anyone who expects to be treated like a respectable customer and also wants a refreshing nights sleep. Make a different choice
Nice hotel staff very friendly, called us to make sure everything in the room was fine and if we needed anything else. Plenty of parking and good full full breakfast menu cold or hot. Also had nice pool & hot tub.
Nice hotel in a good location Nice comfortable rooms , nice pool area. A good breakfast included - buffet style plus some things made to order e.g pancakes. Located near a big supermarket , restaurants and other amenities.
The hotel was just right for me while on business in Palm Springs close to shopping mall and restaurants. This hotel as made to order breakfast and they go out of their way to make you happy. I will stay there again when in town and I hope you will also.
Convenient location, comfortable room, helpful staff, nice pool, very nice made to order breakfast and great in-room coffee. In the desert for just one night to attend a family wedding reception. Just needed a place to sleep but we got much more. Best value for the price in the desert....
I would stay here any time, the, the rooms were very nice, the pool and facility very nicely kept, and the breakfast was excellent. It was a very pleasant stay. It is in a very nice location and close to several nice restaurants and other shopping needs.
This was a medical trip for me, but our stay at the Best Western Plus in Palm Desert gave us a little relaxation on the trip as well, the room was clean, comfortable and nicely updated with cable tv with HBO, a small frig, (microwave available in suites, but available in standard rooms if you ask). There is an exercise facility on site,The staff was very cordial and prompt with our check-in. Also enjoyed the nice breakfast in the morning; a choice of Continental for those on the go, or sit down in a cool environment and enjoy a nice warm cooked to order breakfast before hitting the road. A definite return.
This hotel was nothing fancy but the price was right. Location was close to everything. The pool was extremely crowded in the evening with many children swimming in their clothes. My husband and I were wondering if they were even staying at the hotel.
This hotel is located a short uber ride from anywhere in the Palm Desert, El Paseo or Indian Wells area you want to go. The rooms are nice. This isn't a luxury resort. The pool is super clean and the free breakfast is great.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Palm Desert Resort 5 years ago and decided to stay there again, we were not dissappointed, it was as good as we remembered, Polite and pleasant staff, clean and welcoming rooms, nice pool area, Fantastic "Cook to Order Breakfast " cooked by two guys who really know theit trade.
I arrived late from SFO via Palm Springs International. Check in was effortless. The night was lovely and warm and my second story room had a very romantic view of the pool area. The moon was full and added such a lovely touch to an otherwise stressful couple of days. Wish I could have stayed longer.
Clean rooms with proper wifi. Breakfast cooked to order, which is to us the biggest attraction. Friendly staff. We keep coming back to this hotel now since 2010, every year for approx. one week. The hotel never let us down in all those years. Worth the money and the enjoyment.
Convenient, newly upgraded rooms, excellent value. Located in Palm Desert, with great shopping malls nearby. The other properties in the area are far more expensive but add little or no value for the extra expense.
The breakfast and service was outstanding. I stayed here while working in Coachella but didn't mind the drive due to the value and quality. Parking is a little rough on fridays but nonetheless still worth it
We had high hopes for a good stay in a perfect hotel. We were not let down. All was as we expected; room clean, big, very good bed, A/C not noisy, amenities in place, parking outside the door, good wifi & tv and, not the least, friendly and efficient service/reception. Special compliments to the guys making the warm breakfast; how they can stand all the impolite, rude and demanding guests who´ve left their manners at home and keep smiling is beyond me. Thanks to David and his colleague. Pool should be mentioned: big and fresh - too many people but that is hardly BWs mistake, Location: good for us - near shopping malls and numerous eateries, restaurants and fast food joints.
Pool could be longer and warmer. Coffee could be better. Elevator could be faster. I wish there was a button on the phone for made service . The price of the room is a bit expensive but overall a pretty good value
Very nice room but a few things lacking. No microwave. No safety mat in bathroom-shower was very slippery and could be dangerous. Key cards very touchy. The a/c was excellent as was the made to order breakfast.Price reasonable. The staff was friendly.
This is the third time at this hotel and that shows it's value. Staff have always made us feel so welcome. We especially are lucky that being members of Best Western Rewards we are upgraded to a suite although ordinary rooms are good. Located on the 111 it makes finding and location brilliant. Area location is very safe and all amenities close at hand. Great to have fresh made breakfast each morning and great coffee in the room.
This Best Western Plus is exactly what I expect from a "Plus" hotel! The room/suite was large clean comfortable, the bed might be the most comfy hotel bed I have ever slept on! The grounds were nicely tended, pool was large but a little leafy(needed skimming) lots of lounging chairs but only 4 tables and chairs, limited shady areas. Over all we had a great 2 night stay and will definitely go back!
We stayed here, as my son had a gofl tournament down the street. For the money, it is a great place to stay. Very close to restaurants, shopping mall and many golf courses, and the staff is wonderful.
check in was easy and there was plenty of parking. The rooms are spacious and they either come with a balcony or patio. Pets are welcomed and it's surrounded by plenty of restaurants and markets. The Agua Caliente casino is only a few miles away and the breakfast is pretty good
Reported closet doors came off tracks. Maintenance service never fixed as well as the next day house keeping never showed. If you like breakfast foods served hot go some where else. If you are on a budget and don't mind adequate cold break-fastest this is the place for you.
This is a very nice Hotel, friendly front desk staff and rooms are nice, We have stayed here a few times without any problems, although I will say the bed we had in our room this time was not comfortable and the pillows needed to b changed out. will I stay here again? Of course!!
Outstanding location near top quality restaurants and shopping. Very nicely staffed and maintained. Big enough to have good amenities and small enough so that the staff relations feel personal. It has been my experience that if I want a reliably better hotel in Palm Desert I need to spend about double.
The hotel facility was fine for a couple of days away. Pool and hot tub were appreciated in the evening when it cooled off a little. Room was comfortable with couch and desk for sitting, and a nice little "bar" over the refrigerator for snacks, coffee, etc. Too hot to sit out on the patio, overlooking enclosed lawn area. Desk staff were not particularly welcoming, other than asking what floor level we preferred. Housekeeping staff blocked aisles nearly all day with carts, making it nearly impossible to negotiate past them with luggage. Our final morning housekeeping insisted we 'check out' at 9 am, before having breakfast or finishing packing. Despite that, we truly enjoyed our visit to Palm Desert, ride up the tram to view the solar eclipse assisted by very helpful Park staff, delicious meals at various local restaurants and cool temps around 102 in mid August!
An excellent hotel overall. Breakfast was outstanding. Room was clean and well kept. Housekeeping staff very friendly and cooperative. Check in personnel very helpful in selection of room location as well as giving directions to places we wanted to visit and local restaurants.
Everyone was very helpful with my requests, everyone was very nice, rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was neat they had a menu to choose things from. I had pancakes, hash browns, and eggs. Beds were comfortable and had a nice little patio.
We stayed here twice in the space of a week. The first time we arrived late at night for a two day reservation. We were met by a gentleman who scolded us for not calling and saying we would be late and that our room had been released. He then said he'd make it work and turned and took our prepared room keys and registration material from the counter behind him and directed us to where our room was located. The room had a faulty shower and toilet that plugged soon after we arrived. We reported the toilet to the desk at breakfast and was told it would be taken care of immediately, but wan't until late afternoon forcing us to use other restrooms at the motel. Our second visit included a polite greeting, great room, and friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast is great with made to order items. Other then a poor first impression, we enjoyed the amenities, location, and would stay again when we are in the area.
This is a very nice Hotel, Clean Rooms, well-kept Grounds, attractive Pool area & efficient Staff. Our bed was comfortable & the A/C kept us cool on a very hot day & night. Small Balcony area was nice to enjoy. Breakfast was great & made the stay extra special for the price.
Door handle was hot to touch, duct tape on door jam-tacky and missing electrical plate. The pool chairs were sagging. Breakfast was cooked to order and good. The exterior grounds could use some updating.
Breakfast after 7:00 it was a nice breakfast when they started That got me on the road after 8:00, I notice some people that was going to work had to eat and run They could try to start at 6:00 or even 6:30 would have been better and shut it down at 9:30
We had a block of 8 rooms for a business retreat. In our room, someone walked in on us at 11pm saying that she was assigned to this room, apparently due to the incompetence of the front desk staff. A few minutes later a hotel employee came to our door to do a "security check" and wanted to know who we were! The person did not apologize for this disturbance. Our king bed sagged in the middle. The bathroom sink was clogged, and the bathroom lighting was dim. The furniture in the room was comfortable, and we had a large mini-fridge with freezer. Another person in our group had a broken shower knob and was unable to take a shower in the morning. The meeting room was not cooled down before we arrived, so we suffered through our entire evening meeting. The temperature was much better in the morning. We enjoyed the pool late in the evening, though it was like a bath at 82 degrees. The made-to-order breakfast was good.
Located near restaurants and shopping. Great for a weekend getaway. Very relaxing! Well kept grounds and delicious free breakfast! Our family enjoyed staying here and will very likely return in the future.
I booked a king suite and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of room. This room was located at the back near the tennis courts. The best part of the room was the big bathroom. I wish I would have taken pictures of it. They had towels made into swans and other birds, a lot of nice body soaps, lotions, etc. The room came with a private patio with table and chair that overlooks the area. Would of been great to enjoy a glass of wine or beer had at not been like 105 degrees. The bed was very comfortable and I fell asleep easily. The ac in the room is quiet and works great! I would stay here again if I'm in the area again. Also, gotta mention the staff at the desk. Super polite and knew they area well. They gave me a couple of recommendations for food that were spot-on.
We really enjoyed the convenience of the pool and the salt water therapy was very relaxing for tired bodies. Nice pool. Great temperature. Nice breakfast. Bed could be better, but rested okay. Accommodating and friendly staff.
We've stayed here many times. It has actually improved over the years. It's older but well kept up and they keep trying to improve the appearance and quality of the rooms. Always a good breakfast, always friendly personnel, and always a good value.
This hotel is great!! I highly recommend this hotel. the room was well thought out and extremely clean and comfortable. the decoration of the hotel was nice and everything was clean. the staff was extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful! I have stayed here before and already have reservations for my next stay here. I look forward to staying here. Great job Best Western and this hotel as a whole, everything was great!!
We rented room #153 11:00 PM at night we unloaded the car and started to relax. I rented a Suite because I wanted to TVs into areas to watch TV my girlfriend sleeps early I wanted to relax in other room and watch TV. I turn the TV on in the front portion would not work check the cable connections nothing would make it work just snow. I went to get ice the first ice machine was off-line did not work. the second machine I filled up my bucket went back to my room got a large cup and ice water and took a big gulp and it was horrible tasting they must not of change the filters in many months on the ice machine. The next day I went the pool maybe 18 Chaise lounge at the pool and half were broken the seat position was ripped always through. The chairs were HORRIBLY filthy and bird poop on everyone I have seen. The hotel was sold as a non-smoking environment I even had to sign my receipt stating I was not smoking. In the pool area three different people were smoking one was in the Jacuzzi smoking. AS I left the pool are several people were smoking on their patio area. For a non-smoking hotel I was very surprised to see how many smokers were openly smoking anywhere and everywhere. I went to the front desk to address all of my concerns to front desk hotel employee there only response oh sorry will call maintenance. I was at the property 12 hours and I've never felt so cheated and lied to about the condition and quality Hotel spending $133.
Nice Hotel we are always traveling with our pets and it is so refreshing to find a pet friendly hotel that is a step above the best. This place was in a great location to access the freeway and find a lot of restaurants in the area. Hotel was clean and a great price. I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat. Always traveling from Arizona to California and this is a great halfway point. We have stayed at other hotels in the area but this so far is the nicest.
Hotel is not hard to find. In typical best western fashion my room was not ready when I arrived. I was given a suite. They are pretty large rooms. Has a nice living room. 2 tvs although they need to update their tv service to something better and get a digital guide because the room guide is outdated. Channel surfing through that many channels with no guide sucks. Bathroom is nice size but the fixtures need updating. Not enough outlets and some of the outlets in my room didn't work. Pool is large and looked inviting. This is one of the better best western properties out there. Very clean and nothing in my room was broken or missing. I would stay again.
My family and I return to this hotel every year. The rooms are always clean, the staff always friendly, and you can't beat the cooked to order breakfast for no additional charge! Don't miss out on the pool, which is so refreshing on those hot desert days. It is shaded in late afternoon!
Would highly recommend this hotel Beautiful pool and landscape. We arrived late and were taken care of by the gentleman at the front desk Breakfast was awesome We will definitely visit here again!!!!!
The hotel room was really nice and clean. It was quiet and cozy. Love the personal balcony. I have stayed at a few hotels and this surpassed my expectations. Also love the staff they were on top of it
The rooms were clean and pretty up to date. Free Wifi and breakfast a plus. The breakfast included made to order eggs, bacon/ sausage, pancakes, and homemade oatmeal, not just cold cereals, though those were an option too. The room was good size. The pillows on the bed were comfortable, but odd. They were smaller squares (5 per Quentin bed). I only had two small issues. 1. The hairdryer in my room was broken, but when I called the front desk, it was promptly replaced. 2. The shower rings on the shower curtain were so cheap they kept coming off. Oh yes,'one more thing. The lighting in the room could have been better. Otherwise, this place for our needs extremely well and I would stay there again.
We need a room for 1 night that fit 4 adults, that was close to the venue to a wedding we were attending and Best Western Plus Palm Desert Resort fit the bill. Located off Route 111 in the city of Palm Desert just west of I-10 freeway. We asked that our room have 2 queen size beds but the beds we got felt like Kings. The room was very spacious as was the restroom. We able to check in early and freshened up after our long drive. The wedding was that night and the resort was a short 10 minute drive. We returned early after the dinner and fell right to sleep on our comfortable beds. I awoke about 6 am showered and dressed then walked over to the resorts dinning room. Breakfast was included with our stay. The resort serves a full breakfast that starts at 7 am to 10 am with a variety of breakfast menus to choose from. We had a great experience and will return.
We had a good time at the best western plus hotel in palm desert! Definitely recommend! Great location, close to everything, shops, restaurants, hotels, market stores. Good, friendly stuff! Beautiful weather!
Nice facility for the money except breakfast is served too late. Needs to be started at 6:00AM, not 7:00AM for us early risers. Beds are very comfortable and is generally quite. Pool as expected is too hot but based on the time of year this was no surprise.
We had a bad experience on our first stay. However, after contacting BW the manager booked us for our next visit at a discounted rate. The second experience was very positive and feel now more confident to book with BW again in the future.
We needed a room at the last minute and have two dogs.Best Western was there for us. Usually dog friendly hotels aren't that great. What a pleasant surprise when we opened the door to our room.It was very clean. There was walking areas outside with grass for the dogs. The price was very reasonable and the free breakfast with a chef blew me away. Thank you so much for everything.
Pretty nice and clean hotel in good Palm Desert location near shopping & restaurants. Made to order hot breakfast was definitely a winner. Would not be a destination hotel for us. The outside and along walkways quite dated as well as "the look" of the rooms.
The stay was very nice. The room, even though by the pool, was quiet. Being right by pool nice for children. Breakfast was good. The grounds are very well kept up. I would recommend this hotel. It is close to shopping and recreation. All-in-all, very satisfying stay.
Had to stay in a hotel after selling my home for two nighs. Place is way over due for renovations, bathroom from 1984 stained badly in sink, toilet and shower area, mattress sagged, Temp control did not work well. and lighting to get around at night was poor. Breakfast was bland. But you get what you pay for
Clean, beautiful rooms, the bed was sooo comfortable! The staff was friendly, and professional, the breakfast made to order. Great place to stay in this city :) We go each time we visit. One of the best Best Westerns I've stayed in.
The hotel was just lovely. Don't think I have ever had a hotel that cooks what you want to order! It's usually pre cooked or buffet. This was perfect and in a good location. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area!
I am a Best Western Elite Club member, so I've been to many BWs throughout the USA. This property was a letdown. From dirty, stained walkways to absolutely the worst Wi-Fi to no water pressure or hot water in the shower, we will not be back to this hotel. We had 3 separate devices and none could effectively use the Wi-Fi.
the hotel is clean and nice. the room we had there was a patio and we were 100 ft from the pool. the made-to-order breakfast is very good! value for hotel is wonderful. i give it 3 - 4 starts. we were there for a hs graduation. we are going back for another graduation and we will book this hotel again. on the main street, so lots of places to eat and so forth..
What can I say wrong about this stay. Nothing. Everything was perfect. The appearance of the hotel, employees and rooms were all in place. I would recommend this to everyone including myself again. A breakfast was also included and it was the best.
Stayed here for interview with College of the Desert. Was a very nice place to stay. beautiful area. Rooms were spacious..with deck for overlooking courtyard..very nice pool..breakfast was cooked if you wanted.
Rooms clean and well-supplied. Breakfast cook-to-order, beats most I've seen in this price range. Hotel was quiet despite being on main thoroughfare. Front desk service was efficient. Would certainly recommend this facility.
Well maintained facility with clean rooms good staff ample parking. Good value. Cooked to order breakfast (a BW first in my travels) I was concerned with a long wait time, however the cooking staff was very efficient, got my over easy eggs in a short time.
My wife and I really liked our stay at Best Western, everybody was very nice. The breakfast was good and the room very comfortable. We will be staying at Best Western this July, we love the atmosphere at the hotel.
They were so extremely nice from the first phone call. We are traveling with 6 children and two adults. It's extremely difficult to find any place to accommodate us without putting us in two rooms with no guarantee they will be even close to each other!! They said on the phone they could accommodate us with adjoining rooms.... We arrived and the reception staff was warm and friendly... And... We actually had the rooms we asked for!! They are perfect... Overlooking the pool. The pool was nice and warm, with a hot tub right next to it! The rooms were spacious and clean. We couldn't have asked for more!
The pictures of this property were deceiving. The pool is small and housed beat-up chairs and tiny towels. The room to work-out was dirty and unkempt. The "air-conditioner" was a clunky unit on the minuscule "patio" outside which had no plants, trees or privacy. The floor of the unit was laminated wood that was scratched and warped in places.
The room was clean, well equipped, and had a small patio. Even though we were close to the pool, it was quiet. It was walking distance to some excellent restaurants, and rather than a continental or buffet style breakfast, you could order custom cooked breakfasts. This was unexpected and saved a lot of money over our five-day stay. We attended a five-day workshop in the conference room, which was nice except the air conditioning had the room either hot or freezing. Vents were aimed at the people. Enjoyed ourselves very much.
This place is neat, clean and had breakfast included, which was a real cooked to order breakfast that was, in my opinion, great for the price. The pool was good, the facilities were very well maintained and it was central to all of our activities.
We often stay at this hotel during trips from CA to AZ. It's a reliable overnight stop. If you travel with a pet, the pet policy is very reasonable as well. Breakfast is included, and while it isn't a gourmet delight, it's freshly prepared to order and reliable.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Palm Desert Resort for a 2-day visit to the Palm Desert Living Zoo & Gardens. Our room was spacious, modern, very clean, and on the 2nd floor like we requested. They also accommodated our request for a microwave oven, which is not normally included. The free breakfast was good and the internet access was okay. There are a few restaurants and shopping within walking distance from the hotel, and the Living Zoo & Gardens is just a short drive away. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would stay there again.
While in a good location to El Paseo and other restaurants etc., hotel is below average in my opinion. Check in was ok with front desk staff that, as another reviewer noted, look at you like you're from another planet. Specifically asked them about smoking policy since I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. Was told people could smoke on balcony/patio but certainly not in the room. Requested a quiet top floor room, which was given, along the back of the hotel. Elevator painfully slow. Room was ok. Nothing special. Here's where the trouble starts. After completely unpacking and moving in for the week, I went into the bathroom and was gagged by the atrocious cigarette smoke smell. You cannot smell it when you walk into the rooms because the bathroom doors open up into the room, therefore the doors are routinely kept closed. Complained to front desk and asked to see a suite, since I "assumed " they would upgrade me. After looking at me like I was from outer space I was told that they'll have to charge me extra if I want to move. Suites were nothing special so stayed in the room and was assured that housekeeper would take care of the smoke............... which obviously didn't happen....hence the review. Desk staff could have cared less. Pool area was ok but hot since little breeze due to the way it's situated. Old decrepit pool chairs just kept off to the side. Workout room looks like nobody ever even checks it as the smoke detector battery was hanging out. No towels. Overall entire hotel screams of lack of maintenance items being done. Best part of stay was cooked breakfast which was prepared by very nice man with a great attitude. Checkout was a breeze (when almost no conversation occurs) as I was handed my bill with the words "here you go", and that was all that was said to me. No eye contact, no thank you, nothing. Will not stay here again. Period.
Stayed in a suite because we were travelling with a baby - very spacious. Nice pool, lots of parking and great cooked to order breakfast. Clean inside and out. Easy access to stores and restaurants :)
I have a Best Western Diamond Elite status, which is the highest level for a Best Western member. This level provides you with "perks" such as complimentary room upgrade, being recognized as a Diamond Elite member upon check-in, a gift upon arrival, and others. This location failed to greet me appropriately, wouldn't provide me with an upgrade on days that they were available, and failed to replenish toiletries in the room throughout my 5 day stay. The reservation staff were not pleasant upon checkin and barely cracked a grin. Breakfast was included and when reservations gave me a token for 2 of us for 5 days, it was calculated wrong. When I addressed it with her, she looked at me like I was from another planet and didn't even apologize for her error. Reservation Staff did not wear name tags so it was impossible to give anyone a compliment or escalate my concerns to management. I called to speak to management after completing a survey and getting a generic email back from the hotel. Although he said all the right things, it was obvious he really didn't care. I wasn't compensated in an fashion. We did have a quiet room (when the dogs weren't barking) that faced the pool, and it was a great location to do things in the area.
I drove in for a quick meeting and dinner - I had a friend with me that had mobility issues so I asked for a room close the elevator and the hotel did a great job accommodating. Would stay at this hotel again
The hotel is located on Hwy 111 through Palm Desert. It is close to a grocery store (Albertsons) and a Starbucks. The room was clean and acceptable, although the bathroom could use some updating (some patched water damage near the tub). We had a king bed room which also had a sofa. The room had a nice sitting area that opened into the courtyard with 2 chairs and a table. The breakfast was good with hot food being prepared by 2 cooks, but the hours were 7 am to 10 am which were not early enough for us most days(we were hiking most days by 7 am). The room did have a mini fridge but no microwave. Parking was difficult on Friday night when an event was happening in the main building. I would request a room on the side away from the main building in the future. Most balconies faced the court yard although some faced the street and might not be as inviting for sitting in the evening. If you are on the first floor your sitting area outside your room opens into the courtyard. I would request a 2nd or 3rd floor room that opened into the courtyard for future visits. (we were on the first floor.)
Ok hotel. breakfast was good and pool and rooms ok, both could use some modernization. Location in Palm Desert good, close to Albertson's grocery for beer, wine, snacks - great for a bunch of guys like us who did a weeks golfing.
Staff needs to be nicer and more frienly. My Mothers home is to small so we stay in a hotel when we visit. We have a small dog that we leave with my Mother so we don'r have to pay the pet fee at the Hotel. Cleaning lady saw some dog supplies in the room and told the front desk we have a dog. They would not believe me my dog was never in the room and charge me the pet fee. It wasn't that much but my dog was never in the room so I wasn't going to pay . Manager came out from back said we will let you by this time . They acted like I was a thief My family will not stay at a Best Western Hotel again.
Clean, quiet, not too worn, absolutely wonderful breakfast, two cooks serving eggs to order, bacon, hash brown potatoes, pancakes, and self serve on juice, coffee, milk, cold cereals, fruits and yogurt..
free cook to order breakfast was fantastic..chef's very professional and friendly. Beds very comfortable and overall location very quiet. Rooms could use a bit of updating from darker carpets and wall colors to something more neutral or light, but not a serious issue. Overall stay was very good and decent value. Definitely willing to return and stay here.
We were very satisfied with our stay the first visit, however this visit the bed was uncomfortable and breakfast was not a pleasant visit. one of the hostess/ worker was very rude and when we requested more nuts she ignored us and never notified that she put out more nuts. Also, the food was not as satisfying as it was on our first visit.
Great hotel. Breakfasts were excellent and rooms very clean. The location of this hotel is excellent with plenty of parking for cars. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.
After a seasonal theatre break, I am back for monthly visits and stays at this Best Western. The ADA suite is perfect for me and my caregiver; the morning breakfast perfect; the entire staff caring and welcoming so it's a pleasure to stay here!
Even though the booking was messed up, the hotel staff made everything work out. The facility was very clean and well maintained. I was totally blown away by the breakfast served. Unlike the traditional hotel food served, they had professional chefs that prepared your breakfast to order. The hotel staff from the front desk to the maid service, were extremely courteous and professional.
I've been to best westerns that felt like nice hotels and let's just say this isnt one of them. That's the only reason I'm taking away a star. But still the place appeared to be very well maintained and the workers were very nice. The place is really big but the layout was good so that it was easy to cut through to get to the breakfast area which was the highlight for me. You have to go to the grill area and the menu will give you a choice from 5 or 6 different breakfast plates. Each item can be a la carte too. I always got a side of scrambled eggs for my toddler. The only thing I needed from the buffet area was coffee but for my son, I was able to get fruit, plain cheerios, toast, yogurt and milk. The pool looked nice but we didn't get around to using it which was a bummer because I brought my son's swimming stuff.
Room was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cooked to order breakfast was great! Pet friendly. Close to food and stores. Room had everything we needed. It was clean and smelled fresh. Will definitely stay there again! Christina was front desk clerk. She was very helpful and friendly. Always had a smile.
Our stay was very good, starting from our greeting upon arrival, through the repair of the outside light, to the pool, to the breakfast...it was all excellent! All the support staff were polite and efficient and even had smiles on their faces.
Spend just one night there on the way to California. It is very well located in quait are with excellent breakfast to order. The staff is vert helpful, there are many good places to eat nearby and the hotel has very good pool. Would go back anytime.
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights very recently. Positives: this was one of the more reasonably priced motels in Palm Desert and offered a substantial complimentary breakfast which was good. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We didn't use the pool, but this area looked nice and tidy and the pool looked inviting. Opportunities for improvement: the room was average - clean but showing it's age. As with other older motels with a door adjoining the next room, the sound-proofing between rooms was very poor. We were on the ground floor, and the floor noise above us came through quite loud. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the room just struggled in the heat and never reached the optimum temperature. This motel was ok, but I would probably try somewhere else next time.
I stayed here with my mom while were exploring the area. Upon arrival we got upgraded to a suite and were enticed by the "private patio," which was a small space that looked at a wall (we never used it). The couch and chair in the suite were rock hard, though the beds were ok. The shower took a bit of time to heat up, but once there the water was hot and plentiful. The suite was pretty quiet though they were working on the one next door so we heard them moving furniture around a bit on our first day. The pool was nice though the hot tub/spa was disappointingly cold. The best part of the place was the free breakfast, which is typically not something I appreciate. They had a chef every morning ready to make you pancakes, hash browns, bacon/sausage or eggs - all made-to-order. It was great!
Stayed here 6 nights for a concert in Indio; it was convenient to the venue and markets/restaurants. Breakfast cooked to order by a great staff (even under duress as they were slammed all at once with concert goers stumbling in just before the 10 am deadline; management might want to revise hours based on occupancy) and housekeeping spotless. Clean pool area and fitness room. Not a new property, but obviously well-kept and repaired. Same room went from $98 to $340 during the stay, but I guess that's supply and demand. Was happy with our stay and the low-key, gracious staff.
Pleasant, quiet, comfortable, well located, best describe this BW. Tho the hotel has some spots that show its age, it is remarkably well-maintained and pleasant. But, most importantly, the friendly, professional, knowledgeable staff is what makes this a wonderful choice when looking for an excellent value for quality hotel in this area.
There was a horrendous parking issue the weekend I stayed here. A handful of kudos to the security & front desk staff for handling it with grace. The breakfast room was in chaos the three times I checked it out, so I can't speak as to the included breakfast. The rooms are gorgeous, the beds are comfortable, and the location cannot be beat. As long as the front desk is clear about the parking situation (we were told no spaces were available until after 11 due to a group in the meeting space, this is a hard wait after a long day) but everyone was really good about waking us up to move our car when spaces were available.
One of the great secret of this hotel is a hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, pancakes & coffee. Total have to enjoy it! The staff is great! This hotel is the best value compare to others at this location.
If you have to go to Palm Springs or in that general vicinity, why not stay at the Best Western and leave the upscale hotels for the ever-increasing investor class. You have better things to do with your cash. Such as, see the Living Desert Museum, take the tram to the top of the San Jacinto Park, eat some good food, visit the Air Museum, etc.
Over the years we have really enjoyed staying here. This time takes the cake! We were offered an upgrade at check in and we were so very happy!! The complimentary breakfast is always a bonus. However, these guys are so consistent!! The breakfast is fast and good. Thanks again. Justine and Kent
everything was terrific, as usual. great, clean room, clean pool, good, hot breakfast with plenty of choices, very friendly staff. close to restaurants and markets.i would definitely recommend this hotel
Checked in very early 2am Greeted by friendly staff, room was very clean, Beds slept well Chef at breakfast was amazing!! Ordered free breakfast items prepared fresh .Enjoyed breakfast outside on beautiful patio Quiet and friendly atmosphere !
This "hotel" looks ok from the outside, but the rooms are a hole in the wall with a TV and bathroom. I have stayed at several Best Western's over the years, and this surpasses any bad experiences I have ever encountered! I was shocked when I first entered the room, everything was quite old & out dated and looked liked they had picked up different furniture items from garage sales. I have stayed at some motel 6's that were nicer than this place. From the time I tried to check-in; which was quite the hassle involving the manager Craig (stating that my reservation was for the 19th and not the 21; which I had an email confirmation stating the 21th) To the time I handed the room keys back (which was 10 mins after viewing the room) I left this dive very quickly and swiftly! Customer service here was horrendous, from the general manager to the front desk staff no one cares. Clients want to be treated with kindness and compassion; none which will ever be found here. The front desk clerk didn't even ask me why I wanted to cancel my night stay?! They may have my $95.00 still; but I didn't leave with any bed bugs or any unwanted creatures either. I couldn't even bring myself to sit near or on any of the items in that room; GROSS! Nor, will I ever recommend or stay at a Best Western again in the states. Save your time, money and health but staying somewhere else! I couldn't even rate this place a one star!
Looking for a quick overnighter in the Palm Springs area, we stayed here. The staff were friendly but that's about it for the positives. The room was terrible. It had a recently installed laminate floor which was fine, but the trim all around the room was the old trim just slapped back in place, not painted and all the joints were misaligned. The bed frame had rollers without any kind of locks to keep the wheels from rolling. On a hard floor, not the best idea. The bed would roll every time you sat on it. The mattress remind me of a jello square on a plate when you shake it side to side. It was about that firm. The bathroom had a glazed tile on the floor, extremely slippery when wet. The sink had been replaced but the bathroom still had the 30+ year old fiberglass tub surround in a pale yellow. All the floor surfaces were different heights, none matched up. No closet door. Whoever they hired for the remodel should have been taken to court.I wouldn't stay here again ever.
It looks the part but does not deliver. The flooring in our room was a type of imitation wood. It was dirty as our bare feet were soon black. The insect screen on the sliding door fell off. The worst part was the air conditioning did not work. Staff were helpful. The breakfast is hard to beat with chefs on hand to do your eggs the way you like them all included.
The hotel is clean, the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is not new but looks good on the outside and they are improving the inside. The cooked to order breakfast is so good that it is a reason to go here. Just like at a good restaurant.
We located this hotel searching online for a place to stay overnight with our dog while on a road trip. Our first visit was two years ago and we stayed again this month. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and located in a good neighborhood close to many shopping and dining options. A hot breakfast cooked to order came with the room - a real plus for the price. Hotel staff were helpful and we appreciated getting a room at the last minute. We thought our room this time with a single king bed and love seat was nicer than the room with two queens that we stayed in during our first visit. I did notice that the swimming pool was being worked on but that was not an issue for us as we had no plans to swim. Overall I was quite pleased with this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.
We very much enjoyed this hotel- location was very convenient for us. The room are well done and we really enjoyed the furnished private patios. The complimentary breakfast was great!! We would highly recommend to others
This was a spur of the moment week-end get-away. We don't do this often and it was fun. There is always something to do in Palm Desert. We stayed at Best Western and were thrilled with the courteous, prompt, service of the employees. Breakfast was a full meal. Short order cooks were fast and good. They looked like they were having fun. Loved this place. The room we were in could use an updating but it was clean and everything use in good working order. We were missing a remote control for the TV but within minutes of making the request they were at the door with a new one. Excellent service all around. Everyone with a smile.
the Best Western Palm Desert is constantly under repair and does a poor job of keeping the hotel functioning from AIR CONDITIONERS SOUNDING LOUD to Pool with poor water quality to WATER dripping on a guests head while they use the sink( and it designed to do so )
We arrived at our home in Palm Desert after being away for 3 months and found our AC not functioning. It was too late to call for a repair person and too hot to stay in our place. We called BW Palm Desert and reserved a room. Upon arrival a short time after we arrived to check in and were told there were no first floor rooms with outside access available. We had our 20 lb beagle with us and felt that it would be too difficult to tale her through the hotel and down the elevator to the outside in the middle of the night (she is used to a doggy door). The gal at reception was wonderful and offered to upgrade us to a suite that was available which had a nice back patio that opened to a grassy area. I did not get her name but I must say she went way beyond our expectations !!!
Off season prices were excellent. The hotel is clean, up to date, caring staff, large comfortable rooms. An usual surprise these days was a breakfast bar, included in cost, which featured short order cook-to-order food. An absolute value and very nice place in the heart of Palm Desert. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Our room was very nice & very clean. We requested a microwave & it was in our room upon check in at no cost. Our pet was welcome at the hotel. Staff was very friendly & helpful also. The grounds are well manicured. It was quiet when we stayed at Best Western.
I didn't get to spend much time in my room. I was attending a convention so was gone most of the time. The room was clean. The property was kept up. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the staff was kind and courteous. The room was very affordable which was my reason for choosing it. The pictures were exactly as advertised. I have no complaints. The bed was comfortable which was good after meeting 14 hours a day some days. I would recommend this property to others.
Clean, GREAT Breakfast, Free Wi-i, Comfy Clean Beds, Big Bathroom with shower that is clean and had great pressure. Hotel Staff professional and efficient!!! Nothing Bad to say, and they are pet friendly!!! AWESOME HOTEL!!!!!
Stayed at this hotel as part of a road trip, hotel itself is ok it's not luxury and is a bit basic however staff are friendly and polite. If your used to the finer things in life I would avoid throw hotel and stay at the Hyatt. Rooms are dark and bathroom is basic and a little dirty
I booked this hotel from the best western website, and got a good deal on it. We drove out from LAX (Los Angeles Airport) and spent the night here. The drive to the hotel was pretty cool, you come through a giant wind farm, one like you have never seen before! Anyways, the hotel was a newer model. It was clean, and quiet. Our room was nice, with a firm bed. We had a nice view of the center court, which was nicely manicured. Air conditioning in the room was quiet, and comfortable. The shower had good water pressure, and the drain didn't drain slow, like a lot of other hotels. Parking was good too, plenty of it. The location was pretty decent, food was just down the street, and all kinds of strip malls. Bigger stores, as in Wal Mart was just down the road.
we have been staying at this motel over the past five years or so and always look forward to returning. The room was clean and comfortable and the pool area is secluded with plenty of loungers. We love the hot breakfasts cooked to order and the staff who make them are friendly. We have always found the staff on reception friendly and helpful and the motel is good value in the summer.
I got there and was greeted by a nice lady, very thoughtful and politely showed me everything I should know for the place. The room was a big surprise to me -- it is super clean! This is the first time I stay at a Best Western chain hotel and I am extremely comfortable with its cleanness. This experience actually made me choose to stay at the same chain hotel when I got to lake Tahoe and I wasn't disappointed. The free breakfast was good too.
Hotel was clean, wonderful breakfast, good pool, wonderful air conditioning. Property was very nice. We choose this property because we were traveling with our dog. and we felt very welcome. The additional pet fee was insignificant compared to other properties in the area!
I would give this a higher rating if the rooms were more updated. The property is older so there's only so much they can do without a reno. The breakfast was wonderful in a very nice and spacious dining area with windows providing lots of light. The made to order was perfect as well as other choices. Desk staff was very accommodating and friendly and the rooms were clean. Some of our group tried to use the exercise room and said some equipment was broken. I did not check for myself.
We stayed in Palm Desert and this was a really nice hotel to escape the heat. The room was really clean and the breakfast was cook to order. The first room key we got did not work and they took care of it real quick. The pool was warm but that was to be expected with the temperature at 110 degrees (43c+)
I guess you get what you pay for, but really the bed was so old my back was so sore...maid didn't even clean the room after our first night stay, and when they did they did a poor job..floor was still dirty, and the wood floors on the ground floor, BAD!
For the price, it's ok. Bring your own ice and ice chest. Do not use the vending machines. Be considerate of other guests. The staff is courteous and friendly. Plenty of chaise lounges and sitting area. Tables could be a little cleaner.
We came to Palm Springs to attend a meeting at the hotel. We found the room to be very nice. Parking close to the room. And a very nice hot breakfast was included in the price. We got summer rates that were astounding so it was a great value. Close to shopping. Easy to get to from I-10 (south on Cook St. to Hwy.111 and go right a short distance)
TV didn't work, keys to get into room didn't work. Had to move rooms, 2nd room was noisy from outside traffic thanks to single pane glass door and windows, no ice in 3 ice vending machines and the weather was 100F. How could you have no working ice vending machines? Curtains had holes letting early sunlight in so we couldn't sleep in.
We have stayed here quite a few times. Never had a problem. Great staff.food is great. The rooms are always clean and beds are convey. If the is a problem some one is right at your door to fix it. The pool is clean never freezing. The cooks are the best, the clean up staff are very friendly. We have never had a bad stay, that is why wed always use Best Western Plus.
We had to leave this hotel for several reasons. The good here was the made to order breakfast. Here's the bad, walls so thin you could hear EVERYTHING! Air conditioning was not adequate, even after maintenance was called. Swimming pool was murky and hot tub filthy. Ceiling tiles stained, Beds were very uncomfortable and very squeaky. This hotel is in need of major overhaul. Stayed at many best westerns in the past, by far worst property. Great location, bad property!
Honestly I expected a standard Best Western. But this hotel is a pleasant surprise. Excellent staff , who is ready to make the guests comfortable. Very clean well maintained location. Good breakfast buffet. Highly recommend.
Wonderful service, clean, happy employees, nice amenities, will definitely stay here again!! We were steps away from the pool which was so nice. And the breakfast was wonderful, best one at any Best Western so far!!
I was very pleasantly surprised at this Best Western in Palm Desert. The staff was fabulous! They were friendly, warm, welcoming, and offered a very high level of customer service. My kids were thrilled when they were given beach balls at check in. And I greatly appreciated the follow up phone call I received in our room to make sure I had everything I needed and the room was satisfactory. The breakfast is cooked to order. Amazing! My kids enjoyed pancakes with has browns and sausage while I enjoyed two eggs, cooked any way I liked, with the same sides. The pool was refreshing and enjoyable and our room's balcony overlooked it, which was fun for the kids. Paseo Drive is just a few blocks down the road (Palm Desert's version of Rodeo Drive), and the hotel is walking distance from shopping, great dining, and even an Urgent Care should a member of the family need medical services while away. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this Best Western as the finest I have ever stayed in!
It was an amazing hotel for the price and the free breakfast was extremely good and quick. We were traveling on interstate 10, it was a little far off of the freeway, but the cost and the quality of the hotel was worth the drive.
We stayed here while on a road trip from Arizona to Oregon, mostly traveling on I-10. It's a bit of a drive off the highway, but having said that, the surrounding area is very attractive, all the staff including front desk, breakfast personnel and even housekeeping, were very friendly. The room was clean although showed some signs of wear and tear. The shower was a bit tricky to figure out, but the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner worked great which was very important when it was 115 outside. The made-to-order breakfast was great too. The courtyard area was very pleasant and attractive also.
This hotel was awesome. I would recommend it to anyone in or near the area. Great Rooms!! Beautiful from the reception area to the breakfast area to the pool to the service. I look forward to returning for a fun and relaxing stay.
Don't stay here!!! Avoid!!! This hotel makes for a horrible stressful unworkable room bad night sleep. The staff was extremely rude. It started with the key not working to the first room, then the second room because first room was keyed wrong wouldn't work. Third room given supposed to be near pool to make up for that we weren't but worse yet pool was FILTHY dirty. Guests didn't feel comfortable swimming in it and neither did my kids it was that dirty. When they tried to shower off - the shower water was inoperable. The staff was rude and discourteous about calling maintenance - maintenance failed to notice bath tub also inoperable so I had to go back again to guest service who further yelled at me even though I then missed my dinner plans by that point. No remorse or real apology by hotel - not even to this point. General manager still hasn't called back but it gets worse. We got back and tried to turn on TV. No picture! The volume was on, channels work but no picture! Turns out other yelpers have had this same annoyance and complaint! Well we call front desk it was intent ful as they had it on screen saver - pretty ridiculous to set the TV not to work properly when turned on. Then the walls were paper thin so we heard other TV in guest next door all night plus beds rolled around on floor and were not at all comfortable. Neither I nor kids could sleep due to those problems. To make matters worse, at breakfast my son with special needs awaited in line at the hot breakfast area when he got to front cook yelled at the little guy, told him he couldn't be there and had to go to back. It almost made my special needs child cry. I had to say he shouldn't be sent to back just because it took him awhile to read the menu once at front as he was special needs. It was embarrassing for him to have have others know his condition just because he wasn't treated right and needed protection but the cook was mad anyways after that and threw a scalding hot breakfast plate at me and I burned my finger. He should've set the plate down instead allowing it to cool. Then upon checkout my same kid had his foot scraped with open wounds on a door to their lobby that was sharp at the bottom. If that wasn't a nightmare enough, our iPad got left behind in the bed sheets the kids had left it and the staff never bothered to call to tell us they retrieved it. The find my iPhone tracker luckily did later that evening and luckily we were still local. We called to see that they had it. On first call a man answered who never called back. We were persistent due that we had it tracked. After multiple calls a woman staff admitted they had it and could be sent to me for a fee!! Luckily I said no I will be over to get it. Nightmare nightmare nightmare and because it was booked through Hotwire they say I have to go through hotel to get any remedy for all this disaster and hotel said they would email me to address problems I had but did not nor follow up with any phone call to me nor return my call. Worst western shouldn't be affiliated with Best Western. Just to be on safe side I will never stay at another Best Western unless you enjoy feeling like a character headed to Wally World in the Movie vacation which is only a light hearted way to find humor in such an unnecessary horrific experience. Avoid!
Stayed here while visiting elderly father in Cathedral City. Very clean, comfortable bed, nice swimming pool, and a GREAT made to order breakfast. The pool was so warm it wasn't very refreshing, but other wise, a very nice stay.
Came back to the US to see my son in law and his band play in Palm Springs. Also to bring my family gifts from my trip in Europe. This hotel is one of my go to when I go out to see my family in La Quinta. It is always clean, the breakfast is fantastic for a hotel breakfast. The staff is always helpful. The only problem I had this time was their machine that codes the keys was not working very well. I keep my cards away from my cell, other cards with chips, but they only seemed to work a couple of times before I had to get them replaced. Not their fault. I did have the last time just before I checked out I asked a guest down the hall to call down to bring up a new key cards for my room because I could not go back down a 3rd time.
We stood here for coachella, sadly it was one of the only places left.. the location itself was great the shuttle picks up right across the street, the hotel wasnt terrible we even lounged at the pool for a bit.. only thing i think could use some work was the restrooms in the room they were a bit outdated and the hot water ran out..
this hotel is "good enough" for a family stay. the rooms were clean & the beds were very comfortable. the free breakfast is cooked to order & really fantastic. but there were so many other little problems, it made the good things pale in comparison. the wifi never worked like it was supposed to. the room keys repeatedly stopped working (& i made sure to keep them away from magnetic things cause i'm aware that can effect them). & housekeeping was extremely slow. i had to call twice for housekeeping on our first full day - it was 4:00pm before the room was cleaned that day. all in all, it's a "good enough" hotel.... i would stay there again if i had to; but will look harder for a hotel in the area next time.
I guess your expectations should be tempered when you pay such a great price for a suite that includes breakfast. So for that reason I didn't rate this any lower than a three star experience. First off the room wouldn't cool off enough for my satisfaction when I moved the thermostat as low as I can it didn't help. I told the front desk and they got all excited saying no you can't lower it that much or it will freeze up the system like I would know that. They raced to my room to fix the thermostat. Second there was no ice in any of the ice machines their excuse was that everyone was hitting the machine all day. The breakfast was OK but not great. The bed was very comfortable and loved the coffee machine in the room and the free Wi-Fi. The location was well situated and the front desk folks were very friendly. They did bring me a bag of ice from their kitchen which was very nice. So overall for the price I paid it was OK
We love this hotel for our frequent trips to Arizona from California. We have a dog, and it's also a perfect stop for her. We like that there is a good breakfast included. Sure wish they had lunch and dinner facilities!
The property was very nice, the latch on the fence for the pool does not work. I was not to worried, no kids. for those families that have small children be aware. Bed not very comfy and front office will call you to see if you need anything and wake you if you are trying to take a nap.
Well maintained facility and convenient to the desert communities. We have stayed there before and the rooms are clean, property maintained, and the breakfast served is very good. We would recommend this Best Western Plus to anyone visiting the Palm Desert area, and the value that it offers.
Very good value for staying in the Palm Desert area, with made-to-order hot breakfast. The facilities are nice, beds are comfortable and the free WiFi performed well. It is not as luxurious feeling like the higher end resorts, but it is an excellent value, especially the way I used it (lodging while visiting Joshua Tree National Park, which is about an hour away).
Palm Desert is BEAUTIFUL! This hotel is in the perfect location for the wedding venue and Sacred Heart Catholic Church! Map and information for this area is great. Front desk personnel are friendly and efficient.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Best Western. The front desk staff was great, proving recommendations on dining, as well as directions. The room was very clean and the internet connection was strong. Great location, close to everything.
This is a solid hotel in a good location. Close to good restaurants and shopping. Staff was friendly and the breakfast bar was good. Hotel showing some signs of disrepair: our shower curtain had a small hole in it, you had to slam the door to our room shut, as it didn't quite fit, our elevator looked threadbare, etc.
I was worried about some reviews I saw but booked anyway. Awesome stay! Glad I ignored the negative reviews. This is second stay because of my first stay a few weeks ago. My new place to go here in Palm Desert! Rooms were great. Got a free upgrade this stay to a suite. Has tennis courts, pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was awesome and made by chef. Great location. Bed in suite was WAY comfortable! Can't wait to go back.
I never stayed at this hotel - and won't. I booked this hotel on bestwestern.com and cancelled my reservation well within the cancellation period. I received a cancellation number. However, when I received my credit card statement, I was charged for my visit. I called the hotel. The person at reception sent me a copy of my "receipt" showing that my room was cancelled without penalty. The person told me that they could not reverse the charges but would contact their manager who could do so. The charges were never reversed. I called again a week later and was told I could leave the manager a voicemail message, but that no one "would be available to return my call ... all day". I left a message. The manager never returned my call. I am now disputing the charges with my credit card company. Beware. Book somewhere else.
We were there over this past weekend and found the rooms to be clean and adequate. The breakfast is the best part of this experience. We found that there were many many small kids and parents over the weekend occupying the pool and spa area. They were there with their floats, which I think are not allowed (but accepted apparently).
Staff was way beyond helpful and informative, they had great senses of humor and all over 50. Perfect location to explore and enjoy all the desert has to offer. The location is more towards the wealthier end of the valley. The rooms were quite clean, comfortable, and quiet. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and fresh.
We really enjoy visiting Palm Desert a couple of times a year. We always stay at this location now because of the location to our favorite hiking trails and restaurants in the area. We enjoy the pool and workout room and the free hot breakfast is always very good and an added bonus. Thank you once again to your friendly staff for making our stay very enjoyable. See you next time!!
hotel is pretty old beds are worn out could use a update. would stay again. pool was clean, but many of the pool chairs were ripped and useless. hot tube was the cold tube and jets were weak at that. old but ok. nice and safe location. parking was good and secure. good location for all types of food.
This is a hotel that is always a good choice for the price, the staff, the cleanliness and of course the breakfast. The location is perfect , it's centrally located to shopping, tennis, golf. The rooms are somewhat soundproof, I've never heard anyone talking or TV's. Occasionally in the morning a sound of running water in the bathroom. I always sleep well here, which is important to me, I regularly refer friends and others to stay here.
Well kitted out hotel, only missing facility was a bar. Room clean and pool used on daily basis. Staff very helpful. would liked to have used tennis courts but had no rackets as we came by air and did not have room in suitcase, would be useful to have rackets and balls to hire.
Good location, nice breakfast, quiet, clean accommodations; not a luxurious property but a good value and functional in all respects. Check in was fast and efficient. Limited access to elevators could be a detraction for some with mobility issues but overall a good place to stay.
Stayed one night. Bed was clean and comfortable; pillows were good. Staff was helpful at check-in and breakfast. Breakfast was great - made-to-order eggs, pancakes, hash browns, bacon/sausages. Coffee is good. Asked for a mountain view. Nice view from room balcony. Well located to restaurants/grocery store. Quiet
Great location, big comfortable room, nice pool area and an excellent breakfast with eggs to order....all included and for a very reasonable price. I frequently find myself in the Palm Desert/Indian Wells area and this is the place I will be staying at from now on.
Our stay was great! We especially liked the cooked to order breakfast they offered! Fresh and hot! The staff was great and the property was beautiful! We had a view of the pool from our room, a king bed and sofa!
Overall stay was good except when I asked for my closing bill at check-out which is normally at my doorstep. The desk attendant did not say thank-you and barely looked at me, He acted like I was annoying him. Poorest check-out I've experienced.
We used Hotels. Com for this stay and saved $200 a night. The rooms are nice and clean. However the hotel exterior hallways, landscaping are showing their age. The free breakfast is great, cooked to order and very prompt. We'd go back for sure.
We enjoy staying at this hotel when we come for festivals in Indio. It is close enough to everything. Always good the get a hot breakfast before heading out for the day. The pool is nice too! We will be back again!
the hotel was not value for money. it was an average experience at a steep price. The breakfast set up meant that there were long lines in the morning for food and you could not help yourself to more if wanted.
I traveled with my high school kids & their friends for the Coachella concert weekend. This hotel was directly across the street from a shuttle stop, which was perfect. Also, the suite we had (which we were upgraded to for no extra charge!), was spacious, and perfect for our group. The staff was great about making sure we had plenty of towels & pillows, the full made-to-order breakfast was fabulous, there were daily newspapers available for no charge in thy lobby each morning, and the pool area was large, with nice lounge chairs. We also had a little patio that was on a small lawn area.
Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay and we'll go there again for sure. Staff is friendly and always willing to assist you. Grounds are very well kept and look beautiful. The "Cooked To Order" breakfast is a great feature. Chef David will make you very happy at breakfast! We did experience two minor problems in our room. First, the rerfrigerator did not work. The hotel brought us a brand new one in less than an hour & problem solved. Second issue was our in room coffee maker. The electric outlet did not work, We moved the coffee maker to another area & problem solved. Staying here was like being on a desert oasis.
I have stayed at other Best Westerns and have had a good experience. I did not here! The room was very noisy and the bed was so soft and uncomfortable. Worst of all: The room wasn't very clean. Hair was in the bathtub. Bugs were in the bathroom. Ugh!
This is a great Palm Desert find. Good location! The property is very well maintained. One of the best breakfasts ever! Very comfortable rooms, quiet, good parking. What more can I say - oh, the staff was helpful and pleasant. I would absolutely stay here again
We spent 4 days and 3 nights in this beautiufl hotel in Palm Desert. Our room had a little patio where we could sit by the pool and look out at the beautiful palm trees, the blue sky, just relax and enjoy. Which we did! Thanks to this very nice hotel, located in a great area, close to restaurants, shopping and not too far from La Quinta which was absolutely beautiful. In Palm Desert, there are streets lined with gorgeous Palm trees, manicured properties, not far from other luxury hotels and beautiful golf courses, etc. We were close to Palm Springs where we enjoyed walking on the main street, enjoying all the nice stores to shop in. We visited the Living Desert, which is very close to the hotel. We also did some shopping at the Outlet Mall not too far away and also walked along El Paseo, which is like Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. We also found a lovely restaurant on a golf course, where we watched the sunset and saw a magnificent view of the mountains. The weather was perfect. The staff at the front desk at the hotel were very accommodating, the room was clean, the maid service was excellent. The breakfast was delicious and the cooks were friendly and nice. There is nothing that I can say that was negative about our stay. We also met very nice people that were staying there at breakfast and at the pool. When we return, we will definitely stay here again.
The best western Palm Desert was a great place for our golf weekend. Great complete hot breakfast, and very comfortable rooms. good value. Friendly staff. Upon the check in, the staff made sure to go over everything, and answered all our questions. The made to order hot breakfast was better than you find in most places and there were lots of choices for all kinds of appetites.
I know that the area is expensive and it was very close to the Living Desert, but for the price, I guess I expected a little more. I liked that we had "wood" floors instead of carpet but they were a little worn from cleaning water. The bathroom had been recently re-caulked so it felt very clean. The beds squeaked every time I sat or moved on it and pretty soft. We had a patio door out to the pool which was very convenient for our kids to go back and forth as needed since I could see them the whole way back to the room. Pool area was clean even though we had very strong winds. The breakfast was fine but the kids seemed to prefer the "make your own" waffles as in most other BW we've stayed in, instead of the chef cooking the made to order eggs. We did ask for 2 rooms next to each other on the ground floor (I use a wheelchair) and they didn't do that. Eventually they did get us both on the same side of the motel and both ground floor which was handy when we needed to get Mom from one room to see the 8 year old in our room in the middle of the night (ear ache). Okay stay but we have been in much nicer BWs that were not even BW Plus.
Another great stay with some minor glitches in the Handicap Suite. The sound for the TV in the bedroom was not adjustable; I could not get on the internet so had to use a gadget, the little fridge would not freeze, the toilet seat was not smooth and made for an uncomfortable sit, and the bed height a real challenge for me as mobility limited. Despite these glitches which we dealt with, I love this place and the caring staff who go out of their way to be helpful. It's like home away from home glitches and all at times!
We again enjoyed our sixth winter vacation to Palm Desert staying at the Best Western. Again this year management made some renovations to the rooms such as toilets and dressers. The breakfast continues to be one of the highlights. The king bed also is excellent providing great sleeps. The week we stayed was quiet in the suites. The pool was active with families on spring break.
a nice facility that is run down & dirty. one towel for a room is not enough. stained cielings, a room door that was hard to open & close, uneven & cracked sidewalks that caused tripping, dirt on the cement around the pool and a pool gate that didn't work-don't measure up to the usual Best western standards. These owners should check out the Best Western in Orofino, Idaho to see how one of the best in the chain is run.
The location is good, the pool is fine, the made to order breakfast is good. The people have no idea what they are doing and the rooms are very tired and musty. The bathrooms are beyond repair. How this is a Plus mystifies me. Get a great rate, or keep looking.
This hotel never disappoints, it is clean, good beds, close to everything in Palm Desert. It is good to know that your stay will be uneventful, restful, and the check in and out is efficient, and very helpful with requests, always a attitude of sure we can do that for you, gladly, Today many places have employees that make you feel you are putting them out anytime you ask them for something, not here, they are very caring.
Good value for an ecellent location. Breakfast is excellent and chiefs are very helpful. Don't miss breakfast. We worked the two weeks so did not use other facilities. On a busy street, but room was quiet.
An excellent hotel with every facility. Good rooms, mostly with balconies. The breakfast is outstanding and beats all other hotels that we have stayed at. It is close to shops and good restaurants albeit that some are much too expensive if you are on a budget.
We had a quiet comfortable, clean room on the second floor, just along from the pool. A hummingbird was nesting in the tree outside our balcony! The pool was fine but not much space around it for the many guests. The breakfast was fine with outside seating available.
My wife and I always stay at Best Western properties. Our satisfaction with BW continued at the Best Western Plus Palm Desert Resort. Our late check-in was flawless and fast. Our room featured a flat screen television, and a comfortable bed---no sore backs with the dawn. We started our morning of departure with a made-to-order breakfast. My wife had oatmeal and fruit. I enjoyed scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, and toast. Because of our late check-in, we didn't have time to explore the immediate area. The morning sun revealed a well maintained property. Our check out went as flawlessly and fast as our check in.
My business traveler experience... I check-in, then immediately before going to my room I go to the hotels "office suite" to use their computer / printer to print a map to clients office...printer broken..strike #1 Then I go to my room...walk-in and there is a 8" piece of floor base molding w/ nail sticking out from the wall ...strike # 2 Proceed in to the room and there is a piece of furniture molding from the chest of drawers that had been torn off sitting on the floor ...strike # 3 Proceed to the balcony to open the sliding door to let in some fresh air because it smells like a Motel 6 in my room...lol and laying on the balcony floor is the screen door...apparently it had fallen of the tracks....strike # 4 I then sit on the bed and notice what appears to be blood stains on the sheets...strike # 5 I proceed to turn on the T.V. and only audio comes out no picture ...strike # 6 Next morning I check the printer and still not working...strike # 7 All of these incidents were communicated to hotel staff which generated "deer in the head lights" blank stares from them and was never offered a room exchange. I have stayed in 100's of hotels and this was one of the worst yet
Very nice facility. Best Westerns are great if you have pets. Good location if you have children. Nice grounds, pool spa, business center. Lots of amenities in the area i.e., restaurants, shopping, golf courses. Some within walking distance.
Was redeeming airmiles rewards, and pretty much had to stay here due to categories. Wasn't expecting much, and a tired property was what i found. As expected. On the positive side, staff were pleasant, location was good and breakfast promising. Would have rated a 2.5 if i could, but it was not a 3.
Very good location. Just minutes from shops and good restaurants. But we have stayed at a LOT better Best Westerns, this hotel was just average and needs to be upgraded. Example old elevator, bath tubs maybe 30-50 years old. BUT ... GREAT HOT BREAKFAST.
They took good care of us, from bringing extra blankets, providing a new refridgerator, to a staffed cooked-to-order. The beds had rollers, but no cups to stabilize them, so they rolled a little. The whole facility is tuned to the vacation traveller, tennis courts, spa and pool, lovely entranceway.
Beautiful room at the last minute ! Coffee nook with wonderful array of coffee ! Refrigerator . Very nice stay in this resort style hotel . Seems there was a tennis tournament in town and rooms were at a premium but I had no problems with reservations and it was so quiet and elegant !! I will stay again !
We have visited Palm Springs/Palm Desert with a group of couples for the last 10 years and have stayed at the Best Western Plus in Palm Desert for the last 5 years. Great place to stay at a reasonable price and we already have our reservations for 2017!
Had a very nice time, they offer full breakfast every morning, cooked while you wait. All drinks coffee, several different kinds of juices . Toast beagles , fruit, hot and cold cereal. Was very quiet and they have security felt very safe! As a lady traveling by my self this is very important to know. The staff is wonderful. Towels were very clean and water pressure was very good. I would stay here again for sure.
Its always nice to come out to Palm Desert this time of year and staying at Best Western Palm Desert is the only place we like to stay. We also enjoy the hot cooked to order breakfast and the chefs are always so friendly.
A functional but old and tired motel. Staff were great and helpful always. The building is crying out for update & moderation. The door to the room does not work without a slam. The motel needs to be modernized and updated. The location is the motel is good and central to many activities in the Palm Desert area. It's a Best Western PLUS. I was wondering were was the "Plus.!
hotel in bad condition, service but for manager and one maid bad, equipment faulty, difficult room for a handicapped person to get to. It ia disgrace to Best Western. thoughtless room layout, very bad upkeep on parking area and inclines.
Aged property with average size room and tired beds. Small patios with cheap chairs. Good location and helpful staff. Made to order breakfast was good but lacked variety. In-room internet was seemed to have an auto cycle to cut you off after five minutes for a minute. It was painful!
We recently met another couple in Palm Desert where we stayed at the Best Western Plus. The hotel staff exceeded expectations. Breakfast was spectacular. None of the continental dried out muffins and hard boiled eggs. Full on made to order breakfasts started each day out right. We used the swimming pool facility less than planned but did spend some time there. We used the tennis courts almost every day. Highly recommend staying here.
although an older Best Western hotel its location, the friendly staff, and the full breakfast cooked to order make up for the outdated architecture. The rooms are clean, and the patios look out to the interior courtyard. We had a room a little ways away from the pool so no or only little noise. This hotel is good for a vacation in Palm Springs.
My room was a bit worn out, but the other couple's room we were travelling with was nice. Everything else was great. The tennis courts were a nice touch. The cook to order breakfast was tasty. Palm Desert is a nice central location in the Palm springs area
The room was a bit dated and needs a full rebuild. Not bad just dated. The biggest problem was the AC in the room below mine vibrated the entire room when the compressor turned on. Carpet was a bit warn and so were parts of bathroom (sink and mirror). The toilet was new and the tub and shower had a fiberglass liner cover (like the ones advertised on TV that make your tubs look new).. Actually that was OK!.. HD TV with actual HD channels that was nice. Free internet but only did about 150K in speed tests. That could be faster.
Great Location Small pool area for the size of the hotel Great hot breakfast eggs bacon sausage hash browns and good variety of other items Only one ice machine on bottom floor for the whole building can hear neighbours next door Good one night stop over
We were in town to attend a special event and of course this is the place to stay for me. I am disabled and the staff is always helpful and caring. This time my caregivers room was not ready at check-in time so we had to go with the flow and it all worked out. It was a busy holiday weekend and very busy. Breakfast was great as usual. Another pleasant stay!
We stayed 2 weeks playing a lot of golf in the Palm Springs area. Overall we found the hotel acceptable but it seems to have some problems with their security because on two occasions strange people entered the pool area, using the Hot Tub without permission which did not amuse us.The service at the breakfast counter should be improved.
excellcent place to stay, we have been staying here for the past six years. usually have a little family reunion. love the breakfast, pool and tennis courts. close to everything. staff are extremely pleasant. very clean
Was ok but was ruined when the homeless person decided to take a bath in the jacuzzi while we were enjoying a glass of wine by the pool - had to call security who seemed to be not surprised like they knew the guy! Expected the jacuzzi would be closed or checked afterwards which it wasn't - I would not want to have been the person/persons who went in the jacuzzi afterwards not knowing what happened - will never stay there again!
If you are looking for a good budget hotel, this is it. There is nothing fancy about the property or the rooms, but they are updated and clean, and are very adequate. Also, all of the rooms are located on the outside of the building, with stair access at either end. It's only 2 storied, so it is very manageable with a suitcase. The hotel is located on the main highway with easy access to local shopping and dining. Although the property is about 20 to 30 minutes to Palm Springs, depending on traffic (if that makes any difference to you). But what I really liked about it, was the daily breakfast. There are several breakfast options to choose from, and then two chefs on hand to prepare them for you. Choices were pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausage, cereal, muffins, bagels and waffles. In addition, there was a variety of fruit, coffee, teas and juices. To sum it up, if you're looking for a great budget hotel where all of the hotel staff are always very friendly and accommodating, I would recommend the Best Western Plus. We had a great stay at this hotel.
This is a good over night stop. Our room was clean and well stocked. We stayed one night and left early so did not stay for breakfast. What we saw of the breakfast area appear to be clean and efficiently stocked for breakfast. Check in was quick considering they was busy with other guest.
The suite was very room with a sliding glass door to a nice lawn. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillow to choose from. There was a good sized refrigerator and a microwave. For the most part it was quiet though when we got there it sounded like there was a laundry next door.
Disappointed with the check out procedure - lack of customer service! The room was OK - the cleanliness was a not complete! Shower mat had a big black stain on it - very uncomfortable using it! Did not get to enjoy breakfast because the service wasn't started until 7 am - and we had to have service at 6:30 am
They have a gym, heated pool and a tennis court. The breakfast in the morning is ok. I am not into eggs, bacon and sausage. I went to the Ralphs a 5 minute walk to the east for fruit. The beds are good too. The bathrooms are nice for the missus that is getting ready too. They have nice big mirrors for her to make sure she is ready for a night out.
We have stayed here in the past and are very pleased. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They have an excellent breakfast cooked to serve. It is in a convenient location to restaurants, etc. Close to College of the Desert swap meet.
When we checked in there were two girls at the counter and they were not too friendly or helpful. They had $1.00 sodas on display and I asked for one and they said they are cash only. Kind of strange, all the places I have ever stayed you could either put this on your hotel bill or something. Of course I didn't have any cash on me as usual and had to go to the grocery store down the street to get a drink. The room was marginal to say the least. Old and gave you the feeling of I knew I shouldn't have booked a Best Western and now I know why I haven't for years. The pictures looked ok, but they can be deceiving! We were in town to babysit a grandchild and this was close to their place, but should have known better from past experience with Best Westerns being undesirable. It was a depressing room and bathroom had a shower I wouldn't use. Yuck! Bed was not comfortable. All in all not a mistake I'll make again.
The place is ok, the location good. the food good. the room ok, but the heater noise and noise from adjacent room were a bother. Luckily we were pretty exhausted and came in late every night. But for a relaxing stay not very good.
This hotel is in a good location and the exterior looks great. The pool is ok, but the deck chairs in the rooms are old and cracked, the bathrooms need serious updating, the water pressure is almost non-existent and the elevators are very run down - ceiling panels missing, etc. I would not rate this a Plus on the Best Western scale. It's definitely a minus.
Had a wonderful experience at the Best Western Plus in Palm desert. Highly Recommended! The rooms are clean, comfy and bright. The private patios are lovely. Third floor has great views, especially for sunrise and sunset. The fresh cooked breakfast to order (instead of unidentified eggs which some places serve) Was a definite bonus! delicious! Pool area was lovely, well maintained and spacious. Easy Parking, Great pet policy and easy for people who have pets. I will certainly return!
We stayed at the Best Western Plus for a long weekend, and were somewhat concerned about the mixed reviews-- we had every reason to bel The properly looks good from the outside. Others have stated that it was due for a renovation, but the problem lies beyond that. I knew we'd be in for problems from the moment I stepped into building two-- chipped paint in the hallways and elevator. We had difficulty opening the door with out key card (my wife couldn't do it, but with strong pressure, I was able to do so). Once in the room, my wife immediately complained about the loose toilet seat. I noticed that the bathroom door had a loud squeak when opening and closing. Some of the numbers on the safe were inoperable. The hallway light had a sensor which turned on at the slightest movement. One lampshade had cracks. At 5:30 PM, I requested that someone come up to fix the toilet seat, was told that the repair person would be sent up "as soon as he arrives;" we left our room and returned to find that nothing had been done. I took note of all the problems before going to bed to report it the desk clerk the next morning. We went to sleep on a bouncy bed. I was awakened at least twice during the night because the hallway light sensor turned the light on at least twice due to my tossing and turning in bed. The next morning, we were determined to check out, and I contacted the desk. We were showed a couple of other rooms, and were informed that, because we had pre-paid for the weekend, they could not refund our money. I showed them my Hotel Tonight app, which offered rooms at this hotel for $89 for that night, and asked for that rate. The answer was that if we booked through the Best Western website, they would honor that rate, but we were later told that, despite the fact that we booked through the Best Western website, we actually booked through a "third party" vendor. Instead, we were offered a waiver of the $10 daily pet fee. We agreed to accept another room, which we were told was "facing the pool" -- it wasn't. Two men came to our room to help us move, and we asked, "where was the luggage cart?" They told us that there was only one in the hotel and "someone had taken it!" (Later, from the parking lot, I was able to see into the lobby of the comparable Holiday Inn next store, and saw four luggage carts). We managed to complete the weekend in the new room (which also had a loose toilet seat!) Upon checkout, we were told that our only charge was the pet fee, I noted our promise that the fee would be waived, and the desk clerk said that we wouldn't be charged.
I normally really like Best Western and I am NOT a picky person who complains about everything. This Best Western was a nightmare - I booked 2 rooms. (by the way, I had to book the rooms online because over an hour long period nobody answered the phone at reservations) The doors and latches of both rooms looked like they have been broken into multiple times. (comforting) One of the rooms had the thermostat hanging half off the wall with wires exposed. The other room was 59 degrees when we opened the door - I put the heat on and set it at 70 degrees - we went out to dinner and when we came back to the room it was a whopping 95 degrees (I kid you not)....turns out the heat keeps blaring until you turn it off manually.... when I sat on the bed it felt like it sank a foot and a half....it was not firm at all - I thought it was going to destroy my back but in all honesty it did not. I won't get into graphic details but the bathroom was dirty complete with hairs on the wall. Bottom line advice - if you're staying in beautiful Palm Springs - you deserve a much better hotel than this Best Western.
The breakfast was the highlight of the hotel stay. The room was nice and it had a pretty courtyard and pool area. The fitness room was large but had only a few pieces of equipment in it. The beds were a little hard for us, but overall it was fine. The location was great, being near shopping and restaurants.
We came to Palm Desert for dental surgery. The staff at this hotel were very accommodating to us being this is high season in the Coachella Valley giving us a very reasonable rate and making sure we had a very quite and clean room away from traffic and outside disturbances. We will always stay at this hotel on our trips to the valley.
Older buildings with new stucco walls. when you turn on the bathroom light a really loud fan also comes on. Ice machine on my floor didn't work, the old elevator lurches into action. The breakfast was really good, made to order eggs, etc.
My family and I checked out of room 140 on Wed Dec 23 at around 10:10. We arrived at our final destination about 4pm. It was at that time my husband noticed his IPad had not made it back into our overnight bag. I immediately contacted the hotel, gave them my name, the room number, & explicit description of where the IPad had been left. I was told they could do nothing until the AM when the cleaning staff was back as the front desk staff had no access to the lost/found. I called back at 9:45 on the 24th, no cleaning staff in to speak with. The front desk finally called back at 10:15 and said no IPad had been found. This is an outright lie. The IPad in question, (with a pleather red cover) was left on top of the three drawer, tall, cabinet, just behind the TV set. My husband used it that evening to locate a restaurant for us to eat at. Should he have put it back in the overnight bag immediately? Absolutely. Was he at fault? Yes. Should I have done a better check of the room before we checked out? Yes. But we travel with two dogs and a one year old. My concern was getting the baby prepped for another 5 hour car trip. But things have been left before at other chains and have ALWAYS been returned. In fact other chains have called me to say they found something while we're in route. Travelers, please think twice before staying here. Sticky fingers and opportunists.
Loved the room, easy check in. Nice ample room well furnished and well maintained. Our only problem was when trying to go to sleep could hear our neighbor coughing all night. The noise could be heard trough the bedroom connecting door, this issue needs to be addressed as you could hear the other rooms conversations. Breakfast was great with great and quick service. Everything was delicious.
Arrived early P.M. Dec.26. At first no room as requested, but other person behind desk advised one was available. Go up to room & everything inc. heat shut or unplugged. Turn on heat (showing 65*) & 4 hrs. later 69*. Call front desk 7 we are moved to another room. Go to sleep in new room & middle of night Power outage. Wake up @ 5:30AM NO HEAT in new room. Still waiting for heat. Also requested microwave & 1 was sent up. Spent 20 minutes cleaning baked on foodstuff from the inside & just plain dirt on the outside. So far NOT a very good experience
this is a place you would want to live if you worked in the area. It has a wonderful court yard and swimming pool with hot tub plus a fitness center what else could you ever want? The breakfast was one of the best that we have had at a Best Western in quite some time.
Sad to say, I have stayed at this Location many times before and had a better experience. It seems like the management has decided to not pay attention to both their employees and the maintenance of the rooms. Out of all the rooms, I'm given a room where the thermostat won't turn off. The closet doors are off the "Broken Tracks" leaning on the inside rendering the closet useless unless you want to do a door wrestling exercise. Not to mention the door locks that won't work and having to get the keys re programmed 2 separate times while the last time after interrupting the Desk Clerk's dinner at the front counter implying I'm the problem as I see others on the floor struggling with their key. If this was the last room in the Hotel I would understand maybe having some room issues, But by no means was this place full. Maintenance people just need to work on the rooms
Nothing special and some rooms seem old, have an odor and very unwelcoming. The breakfast was nice and the dining area clean. We were told that the rooms on the first floor have been renovated. Carpet replaced with laminate, but in our room some of it had already warped.
Don't bother to stay here, there are so many more great hotels in the area. Embassy Suites right across the street. This is an old run down property trying to compete and fails miserably. There are holes in the walls, the elevator barely works and the bathrooms are tiny. The beds are not great and the pillows are lumpy. Keep looking.
Pet friendly. Clean room and comfortable bed. We normally check in on this place because of our pet Balto. There is enough area to walk around the complex. I was not able to take advantage of the free breakfast because it is served at 7AM. I will miss my tee time if I have to wait- 630Am would have been better. They have a coffee make in the room anyway- so I was Ok with it and had breakfast at the clubhouse.. Sorry I have to type all of this blah blah to meet the 200 minimum characters.
Have stayed at this specific Best Western several times over the years. This time the hotel seemed a little more run down, and worn. Not sure if we'll stay there again unless they do some renovations.
Nice place, excellent room, clean, quiet, need more room for the breakfast as it was always overcrowded, staff was nice.In a convenient location for downtown trips or access to the 111. Didn't get a chance to try the pool or spend time outside int he courtyard but all looked acceptable.
My family and I spent 1 night at the hotel and it was the worst night of my life (not exaggerating). The checkin process was fine. They gave us a room in a third floor but since we were traveling with a hyper 4 years old, we quickly got a noise complain at 5:30pm. I called the front desk and asked for a room in a lower floor which they were able to accomodate us. Everything was fine until 11:00pm when I was woken up by the noise next door of a couple that was arguing. The argument escalated from a simple yelling, to door slamming, screaming and furniture throwing. I quickly called the front desk so that they can send security over to calm down the situation. The front desk staff said someone was on the way but no one came. I called 2 more times after that as the situation was getting worsen by the minute and I can hear furniture being thrown across the room. The woman were screaming for her life and started to fear for my safety as there is a door that connects my room to their. On my last called, I told the the front desk that I will call the cops since no one is coming to help this woman. As soon as I hung up, the woman ran out of the room onto the court yard and at the point all the other guests were up and helped her calm down. The man was escorted out of the hotel. I understand that the hotel can't control the type of guests that visited the establishment. However, they should have responded quicker to my calls. I shouldn't have to call 3 times to report an alleged domestic violent for you to send a security personel. Something worst could have happened to not only for that woman but for the rest of the guests. It was the worst night of my life and to the top it off, the hotel didn't apologize to the guests or offer a refund for our experience.
Front office staff were awesome and each employee was kind and helpful. I would recommend this site to anyonelooking to take a trip to the Palm Springs area. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast was freshly made and each staff member that helped us were extremely friendly. Best Western Plus, Palm Dessert gets a 5 star rating from my family. Thanks....
Breakfast an unexpected treat. Made to order eggs. Nice place . Suites are spacious, clean, comfortable. Some other reviews mentioned " tired" or had issues with cleaning. Our room was immaculate. Grounds well kept.
I was impressed with this hotel. The public spaces are amazingly modern, clean and beautifully kept. The cook to order breakfast was restaurant quality and my room was very spacious. It made my business trip feel like a vacation. Every employee was smiling and helpful.
Little bit older, but larger rooms. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great made to order breakfast to start the morning. Able to order off their menu and watch as breakfast was cooked. Staff able to recommend restaurants and nearby shopping.
The beds were comfortable, wireless internet, and computers with printers available to print boarding passes, nice in room TV. I enjoyed the pool and the hot tub every day of our stay, if you want sun in the pool you needed to be there before noon. That can be very good because you don't want to get burned. They have a bathroom located outside of the pool which is very convenient. The landscaping around the pool is beautiful. We enjoyed the cooked to order breakfast every morning! I would definitely stay here again.
A well appointed property very clean . Friendly helpful staff . A wonderful cooked to order breakfast. Great pool and hot tub. Many restaurants nearby. Several within walking distance. Large spacious rooms with everything you need including Kuerig coffee maker.
We have been using this hotel for many years now and would not consider staying anywhere else in Palm Desert. The quality of service, the cleanliness of the rooms, the helpful staff and simply the value for money is what keeps bringing us back. The pool is always sparkling and the included breakfast is a treat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Most pleasantly surprised for a quick, overnight on a road trip through Palm Desert. Clean, spacious, welcoming, efficient, solidly built, a hot tub, hot-cooked breakfast- what more could you want on a road trip? Simply highly recommended, from one end to the other! Worth the small detour off the freeway.
Wednesday morning at 3 am during sound sleep the hotel phone rings. I thought it was a family emergency as my daughter knew where we were staying in Palm Desert. Instead it was an unsolicited recorded wake up call. We couldn't fall back to sleep as the mattress and pillows were really uncomfortable. Then, just as we fell asleep again, the clock alarm buzzer and flashing lights went on at 4:45 am, again, unsolicited. I thought the hotel was on fire . Later I learned the flashing table lamp was for the hearing impaired. I had to pull them out of the wall as I didn't know how to stop the alarm. I called the front desk and got the night manager who was very defensive. He said the wake up call was from the previous guests!! Hello, don't you know how to cancel wake up calls and make sure the clock alarm is turned off for new guests? The only thing that commends this place is the hot breakfast included. I noted that the sides of the tub shower were very slippery plastic and if you try to support or balance your body against it you may very well fall. There was no support bar there.
Our First two rooms had some type of bugs and my daughters had bug bites all over them. The Guy at the front desk(can't remember his name) said, "What do you want me to do about it?) I then asked to speak to a Manager. He told to call back in the morning because the manager wasn't there. I spoke to the manager the next day and he was very apologetic, nice and polite. We were moved and the rooms looked so much better BUT the rooms had the same bugs and roaches. In one room the bathroom smelled like urine and the carpet was very dirty in both rooms! Two rooms and two nights of horror! The housekeeper got mad because I asked her for two towels! Wow really! The breakfast was Delicious and the guys preparing it were very friendly and nice! That was the best part of our stay! If it wasn't for them and the food, I would give this hotel ZERO stars! I would NEVER EVER stay here again! BTW, This Hotel is FAR from being a resort and it doesn't look like any other Best Western Plus that I have ever stayed in!
Expected a classier hotel in this area; didn't get it. When we first entered the suite there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom. I gathered it up and said nothing; chocked it up to being in desert environment. Later that night we returned to the suite after dinner with relatives and found live cockroaches running around the living room. I took the dead bug to the main desk, reported the problem, and was moved to another suite. No problem. Both suites had the same decor; tired and well used. The cook at the breakfast was nice. The grounds were nice but littered with debris that needs to be picked up. For a two-day stay I wanted a nice place; big disappointment.
The good: Grounds very clean. Location, perfect! Breakfast....amazing!! The bad: The walls are poorly insulated at best! Woke up MANY times to noises of "all kinds" during all hours of the night!! Only two shower towels were provided in the room. The uncomfortable: The bed was pretty uncomfortable and the pillows were sized for a twin bed. The PLUS side: They allow Dogs:)
Looking around Palm Desert and its neighbouring towns that you wouldn't find a bad property. I liked the sound of the Best Western Palm Desert "Resort" when I book and it read well. I am not sure where the "Resort" bit fits in. Our experience started when we tried to check in. Admittedly we were early arrivals but I though I would ask if a room was available. The lady on reception was quite surly and put me straight in my place as to say nothing before 3 pm, later this was quantified by the fact that the cleaners where still changing rooms at 4.30 pm. We left and amused ourselves until 3pm. On return we were greeted by the same lady who this time did check us in, until I offered my Travel Agency business card she was abrupt, then the mood changed, here colleague "Trip" who was pleasant and informative also joined the conversation. There appears to be no standard uniform here as at previous Best Westerns. We went to our room after colliding several times with the cleaners and having to wait to use the elevator as the cleaners were in and out of them. Our key cards both took at least 5 attempts before allowing entry to the room as they di when gaining entry tot the pool. The pool needed a thoroughly good cleaning to remove the leaves and bugs that had accumulated. The show head in the room had a life of its own and would not hold in place to be used without human intervention. The bathroom needed cleaning properly and when my wife and I looked at the soles of our feet from walking across the carpet in the room they were black. The carpet certainly needed a good washing. We only picked this place as it was right across the road from the Ruth's Chris restaurant, that we had dinner reservation at. Based on all other Best Western Plus hotels we used this trip this one was not good at all. Even breakfast appeared somewhat chaotic, there were many cereal's around the room as well as toasters. They have a cooked food counter with chefs preparing to order (There is a menu with choices) . Guest just didn't seem to know what to do to get service, there was no guidance. In the end you just stood at the counter until the chef shouted you, when you waited for the food he was preparing for you. Overall Very Poor, would not stay here again.
Palm Desert is a pretty place in the desert. We arrived after a long day. Palm Desert is better seen in the day light. The man at the desk was very nice. Our room was comfortable. They had a cooked to order breakfast the next morning tha ttook longer than a buffet would've, but we weren't in a big hurry.
When I booked this hotel and saw the pictures online I was convinced I was getting a great value for the price, boy was I wrong! Immediately after walking in I noticed the weird layout. The restroom was filthy, the toilet was clogged and the sink was located outside of the restroom. The television was even hard to work, I called the front desk and was informed to turn the t.v. off twice and then it would work. I am 8 months pregnant and this was my last little getaway before my husband and I welcome our little girl so I thought I would overlook those things. We tried to go sit by the pool and relax but the disappointment continued, there were empty broken beer bottles under the lounge chairs and there weren't even any clean towels available for us to use. We headed back to the room pissed and soaking wet. The next morning we wake up, ready to leave the hell hole, and find a HUGE ROACH on our floor. This has been one of the WORSE hotels we have EVER stayed at, I will never ever stay at this hotel again.
First assigned room was insecure. The door jam had been busted out and it was impossible to close or dead bolt the door. The staff should have been well aware of this issue and fixed the door jam before assigning the room. Reassigned with no offer to help me move all of my belongings............new room was satisfactory although the popcorn ceiling really dates this facility. The room was clean and the linens and towels were adequate.
The hotel was very nice and the price was great. We came to a Best western because we also earn points and able to earn a gift card. This was our last stay in a hotel while on our way back from California from a high school reunion and back to our home in Arizona.
While only there for one night, we found the stay quite enjoyable. The front desk staff were very helpful and were able to accommodate our request for a king size bed.it was not until the next day that we discovered that there was a small balcony outside the room. The room had free wifi but we didn't use it. The breakfast in the morning was a fully cooked meal prepared a site. That was a real treat.
We have stayed here often over the last few years and have enjoyed everything about our stay. The service is very helpful and they provided everything that is needed. Thank for the time we spend here.
Always a pleasure to stay here en route to and from Mexico. The location is terrific, close to s small strip mall with large grocery store and small restaurants etc. Easy access to good shopping in Palm Desert. Room clean and comfortable; bedding good; towels soft. Not a luxury hotel but good value and well worth a stay, especially for their cooked breakfasts! - always a pleasure!
If you're in need of a place to stay that allows dogs, try this place. It's a bit old/run down but our room was very clean. Beds are so-so. A/c worked perfectly which was my first concern. It's 109 degrees out right now! What surprised me the most was the free breakfast and what was served. A chef was there to cook. Most continental breakfasts have basic food choices. My complaints are the outlets didn't work in the room, the lamps didn't work either and there wasn't doggie bags on the grounds.
Room was ok but air con was noisy so we turned it off. Strange sign on pool warning anyone with diarrhoea not to swim there. Nothing really wrong but it was an average hotel. Palm Springs itself was ok but nothing special apart from the aerial tramway- you HAVE to do that! Overall the hotel was well situated and well priced.
