This is a great property to stay at. It is very clean and well maintained. The morning breakfast is quite good. More importantly, the staff is amazing and very friendly. They went out of their way for us. We were in town for a Christmas celebration between Dec 22nd and December 26th. The airline we used flew on selected days, so we needed a place to stay on the 21st and the 26th. Our daughter was with us on the 26th so we wanted connecting rooms. Liz and the crew totally looked after us. They arranged for the connecting rooms and then some. My daughter had many boxes of Christmas decorations, and the crew allowed her an early check-in so she could get the boxes to the hotel early and therefore allowed her to get us to the hotel in one trip. You won't make a mistake by selecting this property.
Staff is super friendly! Room was super clean. We stayed in one of the suites with full kitchen and everything was stocked. My husband and I stayed with our little dog and the premises were nice to walk around. Stayed here before and always a great experience! Thank you all, we'll be back! You guys are the best!
Hotel staff is the best Elizabeth and Jonathan and Carrie are outstanding and provide customers service EX excellent Always satisfied they always seem to care the way one would expect they deserve a raise thank you guys for always making me feel welcome
On tour with our band and needed a secure place to stay where our equipment and vehicle were all safe. Had to check in late but Crystal was there bright eyed at 1am, which is more than I could say for myself at the time. Extremely welcoming and gave me the rundown of my stay. I got to my room and it was possibly the most spacious and comfy room I've ever stayed in. Plus the tv had MTV Classic, which it didn't change from the whole stay. Shower was great and the AC kept up against the 118 degree weather nicely. Upon checking out, Liz went out of her way to thank us for the stay and wish us luck down the road. Will 100% be returning to hopefully stay again. Maybe next time I'll be able to make Aaron his Tom Collins lol
Great affordable place to stay with the best service, their team makes the difference. beds are comfortable and they keep the place clean and presentable. They have a big pool with hot tub and grills on the patio. Check in is a breeze and always greeted with a smile, always making you feel extremely welcome and confutable. may not be the newest place to stay but the services they provide makes all the difference.
Excellent customer service, very clean and great breakfast!! The location is great and the pool is so beautiful!!!!
Located right off Interstate 10 with plenty of parking and close to amenities. Large pool for those who want, courteous staff. The rooms were clean, all functions worked and the breakfast was very good. I will be back again some day.
The suite is nice & affordable with a nice view of the pool. It was very clean & quiet too. It has a large pool with a private jacuzzi. I love how they have a grill there too it makes it a nice place to have a pool party. Breakfast is free & the staff are super nice.
Overall, this was a pretty nice BW with an excellent breakfast. However, it is across the highway from some railroad tracks, which you can't see. The train going by was so loud that at first I thought I was next to an airport. The trains went by all night and my sleep was interrupted repeatedly. Now my room was on the side facing the RR tracks, but I don't think it would be much better elsewhere. I came through the area on the way back and opted for the BW in Cathedral City, which was much better.
I had the pleasure of staying at The Best Western Date Tree for two nights during a business trip. From the moment I walked in the door I was enchanted. The front desk staff was so kind and very helpful. I had some special requests they were happy to accommodate. The hotel itself is very beautiful from the lobby to the rooms to the Olympic size pool. The beds were extremely comfortable. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I would absolutely recommend and return.
Absolutely the worst hotel I've ever had the displeasure to stay in. Smoke alarm in the hallway beeped all night from low battery, and train tracks across the road make it impossible to sleep. Avoid at all costs if you value a restful nights sleep.
Staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. Hotel is easy access off the I-10, always clean, great free breakfast, pet friendly and safe. Cozy set up with throwback ambience. This is my Go-To hotel in Indio.
First interaction with the front desk was so pleasant. The staff at this location were polite and helpful. We did not have any issues at this hotel. Breakfast was great. We wished that breakfast hours was until 10 am. Water bottles and cookies were provided every day morning which was so great and helpful to prevent dehydration. Shower was working perfectly and bathroom was very clean. The room did not smell and we had clean fresh air inside. Heater and air condition worked very good. Excellent choice for staying in Indio, CA.
We loved the charm of this hotel. The grounds were manicured to perfection; even the gravel was raked. The pool area and hot tub were spectacular. We loved the layout of this hotel. The parking was close to our room which made it so easy to get back and forth from our vehicle. Breakfast was 10/10. GM was wonderful, staff was friendly.
Beautiful grounds, lobby, breakfast area, pool and rooms with so much attention to details throughout property. This was our third stay at this pet friendly hotel and once again we were wowed. It's obvious the entire team has embraced management's vision to provide a superior guest experience. Thank you Aaron and staff for another lovely stay.
Carol and I have been staying here through the years since 2004. Most of the staff and management are still here making sure that we all have an enjoyable stay. I think it's testament to the owners that they take care of their employees and management to have them around for all these years. Aaron and Jacob are always here to greet us with welcoming smiles and conversations. The pool area and spa is always clean and well kept as well as the rooms. We look forward to staying here again this April. Awesome place to stay. Randy and Carol.
This hotel never disappoints! Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, great breakfast! We never stay anywhere else when we are in the area.Exceptional service from front desk. Pool is clean and always very inviting.
I seriously don't know how this place has such good reviews!! The hotel amenities included laundry but when we arrived they said it was not available! We were also told we'd be in 3rd building from the lobby so we'd have to walk around/outside for breakfast. The rooms were upstairs- no elevator and the doors to get into each building were not secured via key. The hallway was 85-90 degrees, and when we got in our room the bathroom was not fully cleaned so I called front desk and they switched our room. The hotel is right next to a train track that runs all the time and is loud. The room size was good overall but bathroom felt tight. We had to get more towels from front desk because it only had enough for 3 guests (not 4).
This hotel is just off the freeway and a good spot if you need an overnight stay if passing through. I would not recommend if you are wanting to vacation in Palm Springs area to stay here. There is a pool and breakfast included.
Nice room and pleasant staff but try to get a room away from the traffic side. I was able to make reservations thru AAA Southern Calif. And was just traveling thru, not staying in Indio. Except for breakfast there was no restaurant within walking distance. I didn't want to lose my parking space.
The pool and hot tub were at excellent temperatures and well maintenance and clean. The rooms were well maintained and clean as well. This location is great for long term stays, there is a standard continental breakfast everyday (something hard to find nowadays post COVID). The employees are attentive, helpful, and professional.
We're regulars to this hotel and have never been disappointed. Property is open, spaced and with beautiful gardening. Easy parking. Easy to get there. Rooms are nicely decorated, spacious and clean. We love to enjoy breakfast on the patio outside in the morning sun (shade also available). Lots of breakfast items, e.g. fresh fruit salad (not out of a can!). Staff is caring, professional, empathetic and tries to help out with any eventual issues. Some team members are here for years! Huge shoutout to general manager Aaron for an outstanding job in providing extraordinary hospitality!
Excellent room. Incredible staffing. Thx Aaron, Tracy, Enrique and Jacob!! You guys really care about the people who stay and it definitely shows. Hope to see you all soon. Make sure to take advantage of the gym next door. MEllis
We needed a place to get a good nights sleep while traveling to see family in San Diego. This worked out great. We really did not get a chance to enjoy the hotel but the pool looked so inviting and the front desk staff were friendly and kind. Would def recommend this hotel
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is well spoken and courteous. The pool is open 24 hours. There is tons of parking. I drive a truck and I like that there is enough room to park away from other cars.
Very welcoming and the breakfast selection was not only Great but the food was really good and service in kitchen was Also great. Someone there always to replenish the food. Room was nice and clean and lots of room.
This is an excellent hotel choice with a staff that takes pride in the details. From the beautifully landscaped grounds, ease of check in to the spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable room we were wowed! Generous breakfast hours (5-9), a variety of options, lovely eating area, attentive and gracious attendant (Tracy), and availability of to go bags and take-out containers made for a good morning start. Thank you BW Date Tree, general manager Aaron, and each team member for your hospitality!
When we drove up, we weren't sure, but exhaused from travel. We were welcomed first by the toll free number assistant in locating a place on short norice. (Our first place wanted a $120 non-refundable pet deposit for a one night stay) They booked us right away, and when we got there, the room was large, clean, nice bathroom, and the free breakfast offered wide choices hot or cold.
This was a wonderful stay at a well-equipped hotel in the middle of a fun and lively city. The staff were very knowledgeable about what destinations were worth checking out, including eateries. Considering that this stay was during a sweltering hot weekend in August, the pool was an especially helpful resource, and was kept clean while we were there. The breakfast here is great also, with variety for vegetarians like myself and meat-eaters like my husband. My only tiny complaint is the WiFi, that I ended up not using because my computer notified me that it was a connection that could leave my information viewable by other people. I elected to be cautious and kept to my hotspot, so it was not the end of the world. I did not report the problem, though, so perhaps there may have been a solution or log-in I was not aware of. Our stay was short though, so I didn't bother, but the staff is so kind that I am sure they would've tried to help. Our beds were comfy, the AC worked well (which is a must in Indio weather), and the room we stayed in was spacious and came with all the amenities we needed. For Southern California, this kind of deal with this kind of service is hard to come by. I thoroughly recommend this location to anyone coming this way.
Excellent service at the check in desk. Very clean room with a nice balcony. Breakfast service was also great with a good variety of bread, juices and hot dishes. The dining room was clean and spacious.
The rooms have been updated. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept on in a long time. The staff is very welcoming. They keep the place immaculately clean. The breakfast buffet is awesome as well.
This is an awesome place. The pool is huge and our kids had the best time swimming. The outside is nice and well kept. The breakfast is AMAZING! Tracy does a great job keeping everything stocked. Huge variety. Very family friendly. Truly a great place to take kids and stay. Lots of fun things to do near by. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Great place to stay.
It's far from anything. It was a good place to go for a swim, get a good night's sleep, and an ample breakfast. The kids said it was boring and it was far from anything else interesting. It was the same price we paid for a 3 star hotel in Long Beach so it was overpriced.
Overall I was satisfied with the stay. The room as nice, the breakfast was satisfying, the amenities was adequate. The internet worked, as did the refrigerator and microwave. I didn't try to use the TV or pool.
Needed to get away after being in fo so long! A quick trip to our favorite place in the desert. So nice to see friendly people, a clean room, many choices on breakfast and an overall great experience.. Jessica at front desk always very helpful and Aaron Mgr. always making sure everything was perfect.
Hotel was fine, breakfast nice. However, our smoke alarm battery died at 4 am. I would not have been mad, except I heard multiple alarms going off each night in our hallway and even after we gave ours to the front desk, they did not change the batteries in ours nor the others in the hallway. We spent 2 nights with no smoke alarm at all in our room. For $200 per night a good night sleep and safety should be guaranteed.
My husband & I always stay here. As expected, our room was great, most important, comfortable bed, clean room. Felt I very secure of the extra attention given to detail especially because of Covid. The hot breakfast was especially nice and fresh. Jacob at front desk very nice. Aaron Segal, Mgr always concerned to all is perfect
older property but very well-kept. spacious room, lovely pool, excellent & varied breakfast selection. friendly, helpful staff. I'd recommend NOT staying near the noisy ice machines. only con is the trailer park on back side of property...
Although I am no stranger to staying in hotels these days I have avoided travelling due to COVID. The covid precautions taken by this hotel afforded me the comfort level to travel again. I stayed only one night and the stay was very comfortable. The checkin was fast and convenient and the breakfast was more than adequate for me ( I am not a breakfast person).
Attentive, hospitable Staff and Manager Aaron always ready to satisfy your requests. Breakfast is varied, everything fresh, even lactose free milk and creamer for me. Service and maintenance staff keep everything clean and running smoothly. My furry friend likes the well kept grounds.
Due to work projects I have stayed in this area a lot over the past two years, well over 100 hotel nights throughout Covid. I can't say this about all Best Westerns but I will always stay at this hotel when in the area. This is the only hotel I have stayed (out of numerous properties and brands in 7 states) that has actually tried to provide the best service they could working in conjunction with Covid restrictions (not making an excuse out of them to reduce service but charge full rates). I feel like the management and staff really are doing what they can to make your day better. I've been here quite a bit, so you might not get that sense if you're just looking for a bed for the night. If you are, the parking is ample, the breakfast is the best I've had in this hotel category by far and the rooms are totally fine, though the train tracks nearby could bother light sleepers. In the hot months the AC works and they have the best pool I've seen anywhere that wasn't a full on destination resort (actually large enough to swim laps, if that's your thing).
From the moment we checked in - staff was friendly and helpful. We asked for dinner recommendations and received a sheet with many wonderful selections. The pool was a bonus as well as the breakfast selection the next morning. It was a great place to stop after hiking at Joshua Tree National Park.
Location was convenient and pulling up it looked as expected. Jacob at the front desk was amazing and really solidified why I would go to this location again. Pool was big, breakfast was great and overall it was a nice stay. Some people in the reviews mentioned the train and yes there are tracks close by, but never considered it an issue personally. To ding BW for that is unfair, they can't dictate where or how often the train runs.
Pleasant hotel with friendly clerks. Our room was nice and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast had more options than I've ever seen for a continental breakfast. We would definitely stay there again!
We stayed here because of all the positive reviews, and I'm glad we did. I haven't stayed at at BW since I was a kid driving through Oklahoma and always associated them with the cheapest of the cheap, but this place is very, very nice! The rooms are huge, the balcony was an added bonus. There's a fridge and microwave in the room. The bathrooms are remodeled. It was very clean and quiet and everyone was friendly. The free breakfast is great. I can't say enough nice things. Will now consider BW again whenever we travel.
We‘re staying @ this hotel @ least once a year for 14 yrs now. Always good to come back! Same hotel management and a lot of familiar faces in the team, so obviously management is appreciative of staff. Rooms are spacious and nicely renovated recently. Breakfast area with outdoor seating option. Pool is huge and open 24/7 w/ a lot of space around. Lots of flowers on property. Service is great, especially for guests needs and especially helpful and caring in case of any issues during the stay. To us its the best place to stay in the whole valley and def worth the ride to Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage,…
An oasis in the desert! What a hidden gem! Awesome staff!! Great rooms and terrific pool area and hot tub. Plus an awesome hot breakfast!! So glad I decided to stop along the way. Front desk is terrific!
From check-in to check-out and everything in between, perfect. Might be the best Best Western Plus experience Ive had. Well done, will recommend and not hesitate to book again. Great property and GREAT staff.
Like to say that it was really nice and clean rooms. Everyone was nice when we checked in and out with no problems. Breakfast was nice and fresh and they also had bags of breakfast for those on a go. The pool area was very clean and they had clean towels out there for when you got out of the pool. Enjoyed our stay and will stay again.
Great small getaway with the family love the from desk staff and the pool is so big and spacious . We had our on area just for us and in this heat it was prefect for swimming at night also rooms were clean and spacious.
Our room was dirty and smelled like pot from the previous guests. The lady working at the front desk, Krystal was unprofessional and very rude while we were trying to check in. Worst customer service ever. I will never stay at Best Western again.
Totally enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was like a resort, with great amenities. Large, beautiful pool to enjoy, great breakfast. The room was exceptionally clean, updated, and the second floor had a nice balcony to sit and enjoy the view green landscape and shaded areas - which of course my dog loved. I will be back. If you are looking for a quiet night, in a nice hotel for a great price, this is it.
Unable to find a vacant room in Blythe, my travelling companion and I contacted the Best Western in Indio where we managed to reserve a room. Despite our late arrival the check-in process went smoothly and we easily found our way to a spotless, fresh-smelling, and welcoming room. After a restful night we enjoyed an early morning dip in the sparkling pool. The to-go breakfast was also tasty. Before our departure, the manager was very helpful in answering some queries we had about facilities in the neighborhood. Without doubt, this is the best of the Best Western hotels in the USA in which I have had the pleasure of spending a night.
We love this place!!! The management is out of this world… The property clean and beautiful, the pool is the best part not to mention their morning breakfast! Thank you to Aaron and the staff for always making our stay special and wonderful, we wouldn't choose any other hotel in Palm Springs, Indio or the surrounding areas. Truly the best… we would stay here versus one of those large resorts any day!!
Our stay at this hotel was great, the rooms were well kept, the hotel pool was clean and it was big enough for everyone to be at a safe distance from one another. Would recommend to anyone passing by or looking to get away for the weekend!
Very close to train tracks so you will hear them. Walls are very thin- heavy doors slamming much of the night. They allow pets - so we heard dogs barking. If you're looking for a peaceful spot- this is not it. Way too expensive for what we got.
So I spent last night at this hotel with my family while on vacation.a After lots of driving and a few things not going just right on my trip, I was stressing out. Most hotels were booked up or charging an arm and a leg. Then, I found this Best Western and my troubles turned around! As soon as I approached the desk to check in I was greeted warmly by the employee behind the counter, a man named Jacob. He was amazing, right off the bat! Super helpful and informative, Jacob walked my mother through all the discounts she might qualify for, and sure enough he reminded my mom of her AAA membership discount! I was blown away by just how kind and attentive Jacob was! He addressed all of our needs, secured us a room on the first floor at our request, and even chatted with us about our trip and where we were going. He was very friendly and inviting which made our stay that much better! It helps that the rooms were nice and clean, as were the grounds. I didn't make it to the pool, but it was open and SPARKLING clean. All around this was a great experience and I would not only come back if I were in town, but I would recommend Best Western in Indio to anyone! Thank you so much Jacob! You deserve a raise my man! Tell Jilli I said hi for me!
We stayed one night and the place was perfect for us. Conveniently located, plenty of parking, courteous staff, clean and well appointed rooms, comfortable beds. Definitely would stay again. Nice that breakfast is offered. Manager Aaron was very helpful.
The suit I rented was great, has everything you need for a good weekend. The bedroom was very clean and was very spacious. The pool area was great, there was so much space to keep a safe distance from other families. And the pool was open all day and night which was great incase you wanted a swim late swim in the pool.
There was a serious health hazard in the restroom that I needed to consult my doctor about afterward. There was dried blood on the edge of the toilet paper roll that I didn't see until after I had already used the restroom 3 times. Reception (Jacob) apologized and offered us a new room, which was appreciated, but all I really wanted to do was go home. I would have asked for a refund and gone to another hotel, but everything was booked for Spring Break. I should have requested a refund, regardless. This was a disgusting and horrifying experience. The new room smelled heavily of weed from other guests. We just kept the a/c running all night.
Other then theft.its a nice place to stay. Just don't leave things unlocked or in the bed of your truck. The rooms are common . and the breakfast is bad.it wasn't always like this.it used to be the best. But it's the pool I come for. The place is clean but it's old .. the pool makes it so nice.
Just returned from our favorite home away from home. Aaron and the Best Western staff are absolutely fabulous. They are both kid and dog friendly, with the BEST pool in Indio, which is always sparking clean. We always have the best time. The breakfast is terrific with a grab and go breakfast that's COVID friendly. Thank you for taking such great care of us as always.
Julie and I stayed at the BW Date Tree while traveling to Joshua Tree National Park to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. We declined another BW and chose this one based on the reviews of each. Reviewers were right; BW Date Tree is a real treat. Staff was very pleasant to deal with. Julie has a compromised immune system, so I sprayed isopropyl alcohol on all surfaces in the room and wiped them with a white wash cloth... CLEAN! The bedding was so clean that we could smell the clean (though I can't describe what clean sells like). We were delighted, and we will go there again on our next outing at Joshua Tree National Park.
I was driving from LA to Phoenix. Car broke down in Indio. Jacob was a lifesaver giving a last minute guest a room for three nights while car was being worked on. The whole staff were very kind and considerate to me and I greatly appreciate it!
Just returned from our favorite place in the desert!! Best Western Date Tree has the best staff and management! We stay here whenever we are in the desert and feel like it is home. Everyone's very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast is very good and the pool is always sparkling clean and there are barbecues if you feel so inclined. The front desk staff Jacob and Jessica are there to help with a smile on their face. It is such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The rooms and public areas are spotless and cleaned according to Covid-19 regulations. Always a pleasure to stay here.
Great attitude of everyone. But looks like the manager doesn't take care about any heavy duty task, like carpet wash and drapes. Bed are good, but not the best. General light cleanliness is good!. FEEDBACK PURPOSE
My family of 5 plus 1 dog stayed at BW Date Tree for my daughter's soccer tournament at Coachella Crossroads. There were many places to choose from, and I'm glad we stayed here. For the price, you can't beat it! We were given a room with 2 Queen beds and a balcony which was nice for our dog to go outside anytime. There was plenty of grass for our 11 year old Golden Retriever to enjoy, and they even had a poop bag dispenser in the front lawn. Due to COVID there was minimal staffing, but it wasn't a problem. The convenience of the location and our room made it a great place to stay. We loved the 24-hour heated pool which was quite big. The grab and go breakfast consisted of yogurt, microwaveable breakfast sandwiches and burritos, yogurt, milk, juice, muffin, oatmeal, hot chocolate, fruit, and bottled water...so many choices given we were in the middle of a pandemic. Props to the hotel management in providing a comfortable, fun stay. We'd like to come back and highly recommend the place for people who are looking for a dog-friendly, reasonably priced family hotel. (Since the tournament was over, we stayed for two nights and moved on to the BW Joshua Tree since it was closer to the park entrance. What a disappointment, as the room costed more because it was bigger and had a kitchenette, but the service, quality, food, and everything was not as nice as the BW Date Tree.)
Excellent roadside motel. Fast friendly checkin. Good pet walking area with grass and nice landscaping. Excellent heated pool open 24 hours. Breakfast was good with microwaveable hot options. Fast internet. Only minus was that the shower water pressure was a little weak.
Came to visit the beautiful desert again and knew just where to stay. There's so much I like about this particular hotel, including the convenient location in the eastern Coachella valley and the always friendly staff. The place is extremely well maintained,...you'd never guess it dates to the 1950s (the mid-century architecture is a refreshing "plus"). I really appreciate the concern and practices put in place by the management to help us all stay safe and healthy during the pandemic. Thank you Aaron, Jessica, Jacob and the cleaning staff for making another visit first-rate!
Stayed the weekend with wife small getaway hotel service was great front desk service was great the grab and go breakfast was real convenient as we went out on hiking early morning .Took it with us on our hike which was 10 min away on the outer side of the I10 hwy really enjoyed our stay
First room was never cleaned. Beds where slept in. Second room had bad odor. Had to keep window open to air out room. Breakfast was a joke. All juice taste like water, grab and go backs missing waters or muffins. No milk for cereal. Out of egg and breakfast burritos. I can go on and on. Location was a truck stop and nothing around it. 30 minute to drive to Palm Springs down town. Stay else where unless traveling and need a quick stop to sleep. Rooms over priced for what you get.
I travel to Indio every month or two. The hotel I usually stay at was closed due to COVID, so I chose Best Western randomly. I was pleasantly surprised. Even though it was Christmas, the staff was ready to check me in. I found their customer service to be professional and helpful. As soon as I was checked in I could finally relax. The room was comfortable and, strangely enough, I couldn't hear the train go by even though the tracks are across the street. The entire hotel was quiet and inviting. My dog accompanied me, so green landscaping is important. He loved the grass and trees. Finally, the heated pool was a nice touch. I usually prefer indoor pools, but Best Western's outdoor pool was perfectly maintained (and HUGE!) The location is unique and convenient - I liked that the property is secluded. No one is just going to wander into the parking lot, and security officers were frequently highly visible. My vehicle was 20 feet from my window so I could observe it at any time. Plenty of space to park, too. I don't like my vehicle being close to other vehicles if I can help it. Good trip. Thanks Best Western!
Needed to get away for a few days! Stayed the end of Oct./beginning of Nov. still the best hotel in Indio, clean rooms, hand sanitizer all over, everyone wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Breakfast still being served, breakfast sandwiches available for microwave and bag with muffin and apple. Aaron the manager made sure all protocols in place and Jacob was there always with a smile and excellent service to make sure you had anything you needed. Love staying here everyone is wonderful.
We expected better from this BW hotel. Many issues: 1) Heating /AC was not functional, so we spent some cold nights 2) No elevator in the building - wish we were told at the front desk so that we could have opted for a first floor room 3) Vicinity of train tracks - the third building is closer to a train track, so the sounds of rumbling trains come through 4) Bath towels were of poor quality - rough cotton and small in size 5) Key card got deactivated twice during our 5 day stay
Happy to stay here for our annual business trip to Indio. Staff is always great, nice after a long day of the field. Big, heated pool is import. Still offer microwaveable breakfast sandwiches even with the buffet shut down for Covid-19, not just a bag with an apple and muffin. (Plus a bag with an apple and muffin) :). Rooms are big and comfortable.
Everything seemed spotlessly clean! The staff there is so helpful and professional. Aaron is doing a great job of managing the hotel. I must compliment him under these challenging times of the Corona virus. I also enjoyed the excellent customer service provided by Jacob & John. The pool is huge and beautiful. The boys enjoyed the breakfast on the go!
This is the 4th time in the past year I have stayed at this hotel while traveling between California and Arizona. The main reason I love these accommodations is because they allow pets for a very reasonable cost. The rooms are spacious, the property has a very large swimming pool which I finally had a chance to use and the 2nd floor rooms with balconies are very inviting. The grounds are lush and full of palms and the mountains nearby make for a very picturesque location. The hotel is beside a residential area and although parallel to the I-10, it if far enough away from traffic and other hotels to afford a more tranquil atmosphere. El Campanario Restaurant is my go to for dinner while in Indio and it's a short drive or walking distance from the Date Tree Hotel. I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I am heading to Arizona.
We stayed here after our car broke down in the desert. The staff was amazingly kind and courteous, offering us as late a check out as needed and the ability to do laundry. The breakfast was outstanding, as well.
Passing thru east on I-10, wanted to be out of the Palm Springs flow. This hotel is conveniently located on a frontage road that parallels the interstate. Even so, we found the room to be quiet w/o the bother of road noise. Rooms were exceptionally clean, bed comfortable, service was efficient with hands free check in-out. Building is isolated from most stores, restaurants but we were directed to both about 1.5 miles away. Breakfast was a bagged option, due to virus, that was mediocre. Our only concern was a magnetic shower head. Good concept but did not allow for directional adjustment. Consequently unless you were using the wand or turned the water off, water sprayed under the shower curtain onto bathroom floor outside of shower. WIFI was excellent.
Lovely Stay, Always friendly always helpful. We enjoy our stay whenever going through from California to Arizona it makes the trip looking forward to knowing would be able to stay in a nice comfortable place with very friendly people always willing to help and assist in any of our needs
We live in the area (La Quinta) and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights (that allows a cat) while our air conditioner was out during an extreme heat wave! New one being installed after weekend. I called to check on availability and the gentleman I spoke with was so helpful and courteous. We wanted to make sure we were not near any traffic noise, did not want a connecting room where voices could be clearly heard, especially by any inconsiderate loud lodgers - issues we had at the previous hotel (another Best Western not far away) where we had stayed the 2 nights prior. We had been sleep deprived!! The king room we ended up with here was perfect! It was very spacious & quiet, and the air conditioner worked well, kept us cool! The bed was also very comfortable, not mooshi like at the last place (and we weren't told our cat needed to be crated during the stay! which we did not do. Front desk guy at that BW not warm or accommodating in any way). We were also impressed with this hotel's sanitization process for COVID. I was pleased to find out the man at the front desk (sorry, neither I nor my husband got names) was so understanding and accommodating to let my husband & cat (I had gone on to work) stay extra hours past checkout so they wouldn't have to go back to a hot house while the technicians were still installing our new heating/cooling system. Highly recommend this hotel!
Was able to check in at 10pm with NO problems after driving 5 hours. The guy at the front was nice and made it quick for me to get to my room without any problems. Also had a to-go bag for breakfast since the regular offered breakfast is not available due covid19, that was nice.
Considering the current medical issue across the country, my stay here was excellent and the staff very caring. I am already planning another stay on a return trip. I expect the same quality and care that I received the first time.
Stayed here a few years ago and it's still as great place to stay. Espies was super nice and helpful taking our reservation. Love the fresh local dates at the Front Desk! You can't beat Best Western beds, they are Super Comfortable! The location is great also, nice and quiet, and a great place to stop for the night on the way from Los Angeles to Arizona!
Like an oasis in the desert, the Date Tree Hotel was a welcome stop on our road trip down the West Coast towards Phoenix. Still 100 degrees F at 10:00pm, we were glad for an air-conditioned lobby, very friendly staff, easy check-in, clean & comfortable room. We dropped our bags and headed for the pool, which we had all to ourselves at the later hour. Relaxing. Did I mention they have dates you can snack on in the lobby? A well-named hotel. Hotel has a retro feel - divided up into 3 buildings - which adds to the charm. Great night of sleep, good eats for breakfast. We've got this one down on our list for next time through the area.
Amazing hotel, clean, gorgeous pool, good breakfast. Staff was amazing. When you call them for anything they were there in a timely matter. Breakfast was amazing. Dining area was small but they had outside seating which was amazing. Great hotel stay!!
Our Lacrosse club has worked with this Best Western for several years. They have a phenomenal group event coordinator. Their front desk is super helpful and they make our check in of a large group super easy. The entire team really goes above and beyond for our group and their customer service is excellent.
A remarkable hotel for the Location. Great staff, great breakfast, very comfortable. Would stay here again, great value for money. Close to rhe highway, reservation was easy to do on line and they had room when there was no other availbility
Spent 2 nights there at Christmas. Surprized that there were not too many guests there. It is near the freeway, but a bit close to the trains travelling by noise. Room/bathroom was nice. challenged by the TV remote, but plenty of cable channels. The Breakfast was awesome.!! and the staff was great.
We arrived unannounced and no reservations. We soon learned that there is a dog show in town and rooms are limited and expensive. We have always stayed with Best Western for their clean rooms and full breakfast. So we had a budget in mind for this stay. The first quote was way over our budget. So we were going to go down the road to the next city. Joshua, the clerk, over heard our conversation and concerns and he asked us to wait as he looked into some options. After a few minutes, Josh had found us a room and at an affordable price too. The room was clean and fresh and the breakfast a cut above the average. The real deal was working with Josh. He managed a couple deep in stress with concern and patience that added to us having a great night's rest.
I like staying outside of Palm Springs. I saw this Best Western and stopped in. The rooms are in separate buidlings but close to the main office. There was plenty of places to walk my little dog. i still wonder how come kids running in the upstairs room, are free, while my dog is charged extra. Why not make one dog free?
I was pleasantly surprised by the Date Tree Inn Best Western in Indio. The spacious rooms were very nicely decorated, the buildings looked clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was great. The flat screen TV in the room was a bit small. The motel is right next to a busy train track, but the room was surprisingly quiet. It was too cold to use the pool, but it was a large pool and looked nice. I would definitely stay here again.
Staff was horrible with my bill and checked out before 5am woman who unlocked door seemed put off that I bother her .stay here many times and never changes will not stay again and this survey sucks also
They Decorated for Christmas; made it nice to come down to breakfast and see the tree and all. Breakfast is above average. There is something for everyone. Warm and friendly. Even special diets accommodated. Beds very comfortable. Pillows nice. Towels fluffy.
Once again written on behalf of my father and once again, instead of staying with me at my home, he prefers to stay at this very comfortable hotel with "good breakfast and great customer service." "Shout-out to Jacob!"
I had a good time, if you are a light sleeper, know that a freight train come by every 10 minutes, not recommended if in building 1, track side. The others room are not as impacted by the noise. No is walking distance to anything, but the pool is open 24-hours, and the place is clean and well maintained. Fifth time staying there.
I stayed for horse show nearby and was not expecting much from hotel but it was good. Clean. Decor was nice. Not a ton of amenities but I was not looking for anything other than a place to sleep. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was just okay but it did have the basics. Great value.
This was my first stay in this area and this hotel was in a great spot for my business trip. It allowed me to get around easy and the hotel was great. The hotel was clean, had a good breakfast and a nice staff.
The staff was very professional and friendly. The newly renovated room was nice, clean, comfortable, and had the right room temperature for us to sleep in. It's a shame that we had to leave early and couldn't stay for the hot breakfast and use the 24/7 swiming pool and hot tub.
Enjoyed one night at the Date Tree Hotel while traveling to Arizona. The hotel is vintage 1950's and has been nicely restored. The rooms are spacious, harkening back to another era. The numerous palm trees were waving gently in the warm fading light as we were welcomed by efficient, courteous and helpful staff at the front desk. The hotel which is divided into 3 rectangular building touts spacious parking (we had a 15 ft moving truck that fit well). The staff recommended a wonderful Mexican restaurant, El Campanario Restaurant which was within walking distance and served amazing and delicious authentic delights. The night passed quietly and in the morning a wonderful complimentary breakfast was provided. It had the most choices I have seen in a chain hotel. The only drawback to this experience was that the hotel is on the outskirts of Indio. I did love the retro vibe and will definitely return again even thought the price was a bit more ($140) than I usually pay for a nights stay and they are pet friendly, charging only a nominal fee which I will take advantage of next time.
Good location, friendly staff, no-frills. The breakfast had no fresh fruit and the rooms were very spartan. There was no food other than buffet on property. A bit expensive on the weekend for the value $200.00 I liked that I received a room call to make sure everything was ok.
I was in town to attend horse show in Thermal. This hotel is about 10 minutes away. Very quiet with clean rooms. Breakfast is average ..nothing special but adequate. Staff was helpful and accomidating.
This was a very nice hotel. Our room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was good and I loved having pancakes available. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again if I was in that area.
My wife and I decided to make an extended road trip through the Western United States with the ultimate destination being the Great Palms Springs area. We like to let the days take us where we stay. So we happened to review our needs and wants and came upon the Date Tree Inn online. It far exceeded our expectations and highly recommend it. The staff were first class, the facilities very clean and accommodations first rate. Certainly worth the trip to their website to see the 50's ambience of the hotel site.
Location right off frwy, convenient for 1 night stay. Refrigerator and microwave. Good roomy drawers for longer stays. No bath tub, shower is fine. Mexican restaurant just down the road is good. Not far from railroad, lots of trains pass by...do offer earplugs if needed. Staff friendly.
We were two tired travelers when we arrived from northern California Josh was so awesome and upgraded our room to a beautiful suite a wonderful tub. This is such a lovely hotel with wonderful staff. Rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable.
Front lady acted tired when I ask for help with my online account. Other than that everything was good. Like the variety of breakfast food and options of drinks. Also it would be nice if water bottles are offered for every guest.
Our car broke down outside Indio and we ended up having to stay overnight until we could get towed and repair estimate (on a holiday no less!) The staff were very sympathetic to our situation and we could not have asked for a better place to stay for the money. Room was very clean, beds & pillows very comfy, pool was relaxing and open 24 hours which was the perfect escape after a long afternoon stuck at a hot rest stop. The staff were very gracious and allowed us a late check out since we had to wait on the repair place and rental car to be ready to pick us up. Could not have asked for a better accommodations!! Will definitely stay again!!
Really excellent service. The rooms are very clean and employees very welcomed. 100% recommend this hotel very clean and its in a good location close to everything. They offer breakfast very delicious by the way.
From the time I check in, until I check out the stay at best Western has been pleasurable anytime I have stayed. All staff that I talked with were very polite and helpful. The morning breakfast, ironing board and iron in the room and the refill of shampoo and lotions I've very much appreciate it. I would recommend best western hotel to anyone traveling for business and our pleasure.
Loved everything about it. 24 hour pool!! Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff. Cant wait to stay at this hotel once again. I will be recommending this hotel to all of relatives and friends. Keep up the good work.
The Indio Best Western is the greatest value and nicest place we have stayed this year. There are many hotels to pick from and for a few bucks more you can have a wonderful pool and hot tub open all night, a great complimentary breakfast, clean rooms where everything works and a staff who treats you like royalty. I strongly recommend you give it a try.
The hotel was very clean and the bed comfortable. I rented a room with a king size bed, and it was very spacious. Two complaints are that the AC was loud, and the train passing by sometimes rattled the room. Other than this, it was a comfortable stay.
The rooms are spacious, clean and beds comfortable. We had the option of ground floor or second floor when we got there. There was plenty of parking and a large space for pets. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Check in was fairly quick as we and several others came in at the same time. The did a curtsey call about 10 minutes after our arrival to make sure the room met our needs. The pool was large and perfect temperature, and they had bbq's you could use. Overall definitely would stay again and again!
Can't thank Jessica, Kevin, & Jacob enough for their outstanding customer service during our stay! We were involved in a car accident that stranded my family and our dog in Indio for a few days. They were so kind and compassionate of our situation. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast buffet was tasty, and the pool was huge and refreshing on the 118 degree days. There was also a large grassy area for my dog to run around in. Would highly recommend staying here. Thank you again!
We chose this as a halfway point between Prescott and SoCal to meet up with family and return grandkids to parents. It's very well kept up with a friendly front desk staff and the largest pool we've seen. Pool and hot tub are open 24 hours due to their location away from the rooms, which was good in that it was the middle of summer and 107F Rooms are spacious and clean with microwave and fridge; beds are comfortable and the full breakfast (free) good and supplies well stocked, thanks to Tracey. The only minor gripe is that the a/c in the rooms was a bit noisy. We had a room in the building closest to the street and the railroad tracks. There was hardly any road traffic and the freight trains don't sound their horns, but the rumbling is audible though it didn't really bother us. We decided that this is our new meet-up and/or half-way stop for future trips. The front desk offered a list of local eateries. Applebee's, two miles away, wasn't on the list but we went there and would go back again.
We needed a hotel room at 2am because we are driving through California. I booked a room on the website but it was for the next day. The lady on shift helped us out by giving us a cheaper rate then what my booking was. We got to the room the beds are comfortable easy to fall asleep. The next mornings we went for the complimentary breakfast and uts was amazing. I was suprised the variety of choices. My kids were excited to make there own waffles and serve there own juice. The room came with 2 queen beds and a refrigerator microwave and coffee maker. The only think I was disappointed about was there was only 3 towels for a room for 4 adults. But we made it work we we're very satisfied. We wish we had time to use the pool because itsbthe biggest one ive ever seen at a hotel before. We will use this hotel as our new hotel when we come to town. Great job guys keep up the good work. Oh also the employees were very nice and said good morning and made you feel welcome!
Raelly enjoyed my stay at this BW for 2 nights with 2 grandchildren . Pool open 24/7 and quite large with a hot tub.Coffee available 24 hours in breakfast area along with free samples of fruit dates at the check in counter. Computers avaialbe in registrration room. Nice large room with desk and chair along with an additiopnal chair, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Front desk personnel were very accomodating in providing a later than usual checkout time due to car issues. Breakfast included pancake maker, waffle maker, scamled eggs and sausage, juices, cereals (3 or 4), bagels, yogart with varous toppings etc.- Something for eveyone!. Newspaper M-F. Only negative - I didn't see any restaurants in walking distance but I may have missed them. Would definitely stay again - great place
This place is very nice and everything worked great. very quiet to get a good nights sleep. Really surprised it isn't rated a BW PLUS. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was just your normal things but I think they make their own salsa. It was very good
Fast and friendly service. The pool is open 24 hours. We enjoyed the pool till 1am. Awesome. The kids enjoyed it. The jacuzzi was what we needed since we had been driving for hours. I would recommend to family and friends.
great place, very clean, comfortable bed, and great breakfest ,very helpful staff, hap a long drive that day and this was a great place to stay. will stay at this location next trip, rooms were very clean and furnished great.
There was a time before internet, before cellphones when you used guidebooks with dog eared pages, and advice from diners to find a good place to stay. We relied heavily on that Best Western sign certifying the quality of the inn keeper. Maybe today there are other options but Best Western really came through in Indio. A clean spacious property with easy access to I10 and superior services. Josh, at the desk, straightened out a bungled reservation (my fault, not there's), gave us a large pet friendly room, and a referral to a nice pet friendly restaurant. This will be our “go to” outside LA from now on
This hotel is very enjoyable. the rooms are nice, the staff are all very helpful. the pool is huge and has a beautiful night time view of the stars. the rooms are very clean and are of great size. Been coming here since i was a kid and now I bring my kids. I have never been disappointed in my stay here,
I've stayed at the Date Tree every year for over 10 years now. It's always clean, that's the one consistent attribute, year-in year-out. Maintenance staff is attentive when I call. Front desk is helpful, accommodating and cheerful (or at minimum does not act as if I am bothering them when I ask for something). Breakfast is provided every morning and the laundry facilities are _free_. The only negative I could possibly dream up about the Date Tree is that it is a pet-friendly hotel, and you are either for that or against it. My opinion is dogs should stay home. A dog's luxury stay in a Best Western quickly turns into my kennel disinfection and clean up (the odor, the hair, the allergic reaction) once the pet owners have checked-out. Others, of course, feel very differently about this issue. The layout is charming mid-century Coachella Valley, with a pool that is simply huge—you don't see 'em built this big anymore on a property this size. A classic, three-wing mid-century design; I think it was built in 1957. The hotel is situated right off the 10 Freeway and by the railroad tracks. That being said, there are only a few trains a day and I find the ambient noise quite soothing. I don't have anything negative to say about the property or any of its long-term or short-term employees. They have always taken good care of me. If you're passing through Indio, or are simply seeking a low-cost getaway from LA County, this is definitely the place to stay in this area. Rest assured. P.S. I was neither rewarded for submitting this review, nor was asked to post it. The Date Tree has always been good to me.
Very nice and clean place. Great rates even over the Holiday week end of my stay. Great hot breakfast and caring staff. Clean pool area with lots of lounges and tables. Lots of tables at the breakfast area and a nice outside seating area if you would rather eat outside
The hotel was far away from everything, there is a freight train that passes through daily, that shook the whole room The pool and hot tube was good, open 24/7 The room needs some updating, the beds were very firm and pillows semi flat. They did have breakfast included, that was good to go, it was bacon sausage, potatoes, eggs, bread, pastries, juice, hot coco, coffee, waffle and pancakes station Parfait station, and some other gluten free options. The staff was very friendly and helpful Parking is free and easy to access the rooms- get a bottom room when you stay.
very clean ,good smell plenty space por parking, good access to building, im staying at this place again. very polite and helpfull people, even before my arrival, i called twice , to ask some questions regarding rooms, and were were very friendly.
This was a great hotel. Very clean and a very personable staff. The pool and jacuzzi were exceptionally cared for. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. I would definitely use this hotel in the future.
Just returned from the desert and had a wonderful time as always at this great hotel!! Went for a little vacation and to see the historic wildflowers in bloom at Joshua Tree and Anza Borrego! What a beautiful sight! We always choose the Date Tree Hotel , the staff is fabulous, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is very good!! Jacob and Jessica always make you feel very welcome and go out of their way to help you! I can't say enough about this Hotel and the staff there!
Could not get in our o=room early as requested and confirmed by BW this would not be a problem. We requested a King Bed room, upon arrival after phoning twice, reception wanted us to take a room with 2 double beds.
Our annual firefighter reunion in Indio came off without a hitch, thanks to accommodations and location of this hotel. The breakfast dining area remodel and food location change improved that part of our experience.
Everything was great! Clean. Good size rooms. Wonderful to have a sink inside the bathroom. Comfortable beds. Breakfast variety was awesome. Check-in service was able to offer better rate than AAA or anything found online. The best thing was that it was pet-friendly. Would definitely say again.
We were working on an art project in the area, and the hotel provided a great nearby base for our activities. The hotel is a bright spot in an otherwise unremarkable area, is is clean, and has friendly staff, a generous breakfast, and large pool. We heard that the location near the train tracks could make for a noisy experience but the staff made sure to find quiet room options and allowed us to see both before deciding on our preference. So while the area surrounding the hotel isn't anything special (go to Palm Springs or La Quinta for a more glamorous or holiday vibe) the Date Tree is a great option if you need a reasonably priced place to stay for folks needing to work nearby or en route to the Salton Sea. Special shout-out to Jessica who made sure we had a great experience.
This location was very convenient as a midway point on a recent trip to State Parks for spring flower viewing. Room was clean and spacious. The accessible room had adequate grab bars. There is train traffic nearby but we did not find it troublesome. A second chair is needed. Breakfast choices good.
Lovely courteous staff. Well maintained grounds and buildings. Jacuzzi needed to be drained and cleaned but large pool area was inviting and clean. Room was nice but seating was not comfortable. Not good cable TV service available and movie rental was lacking in quality and options.
Traveling by motorcycle brings with it certain needs. Needs not always part of travel by car. 600 miles and I am ready to relax. I don't need "issues" after I get done for the day. Besides a comfortable room I like to have a safe place to park my bike. I was not disappointed. My room was clean. It was comfortable and had everything I expected. I also had enough room to spread out my riding gear. The staff was great. Courteous, professional and patient. The restaurant suggestions were super. They didn't blink when I asked if I could park my motorcycle right in the middle of their loading area, in plain view of the desk. That is great peace of mind for lots of folks that ride.
This was a wonderful place to stay after a long day on the road. My bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and I was impressed by soundproofing between the rooms and in the windows which largely muffled occasional trains. The hotel has a sign in the room offering earplugs if needed. I traveled in winter and it was cold at night. I appreciated having extra blankets in the closet, and with those I was comfortable and didn't have to turn on the heater at all. A big plus for me was the quality of the hot breakfast for me as a vegetarian. It was great to have scrambled eggs and potatoes instead of just cold items, and the hotel offers soy/almond milk as nondairy options.
Love Dates and fresh ice lemon water at front desk. Room was comfortable, it had a funny smell, but they sprayed and it went away. Breakfast has delicious green and red salsas. Grape, cranberry, orange and apple juices. Staff is nice and friendly.
This is our third time staying at this awesome hotel. The hotel is beautiful. It is in the perfect location. The rooms are spacious and clean. The employees all make us feel like family. Breakfast is great. We will definitely be back.
After 4 days on the road and couple of long driving days, it was time to take somerest time. We choise Best Western Date Tree Hotel because of its location and convenience. It's an older hotel but very clean and was upgraded nicely. We enjoyed our stay before moving on to Yuma.
First - we give this hotel a 5 star rating for their wonderful, friendly and helpful staff, hotel cleanliness and...they provide Almond Milk in the breakfast room. This was our first visit to Indio for a reunion with a group of friends. I checked prices in Indio, Palm Desert and Indian Wells and decided to book at Best Western as the price was reasonable for the area. We often stay at Best Western hotels and are rarely disappointed. Due to heavy LA traffic we arrived close to 7 pm, tired after 9 hours of driving and hungry. We were surprised to find the hotel was in an industrial part of town. There are no restaurants or grocery stores within walking distance. In addition, as we were checking in a long, noisy train was going by the hotel. We asked for a quiet room and were given a room in the building farther away from the railroad tracks. After checking in we had to get back in the car to find someplace to eat. That's another review in the making. Finally got to bed and at 4:50 am was awakened by a train passing through. This happened both mornings we were there. The breakfast was typical Best Western fare - adequate but not exceptional. I suggest you stick to the cereal, or waffles/pancakes because the eggs left a lot to be desired. I am somewhat of a coffee “snob” and I could not drink the coffee after the first few zips. My husband thought it was fine. We were also disappointed/surprised to find there is no gym on the premises...not even a small one. The area is not conducive to walking around so if exercise is important then this is not the place to stay. Liked the shower but the bathroom did not have a lot of counter space. Closet was large, bed and pillows were very comfortable. All in all, the stay here was ok but should we return I would book somewhere that is accessible to restaurants, coffee houses, entertainment, etc without having to get into the car, regardless of the price. Again, best thing about this hotel is the staff who went over and above to make sure we were comfortable, made recommendations for restaurants, etc. Everyone we met was courteous, friendly and extremely nice. Kudos to Best Western Date Tree Hotel for hiring some very fine people.
First of all, this was a weekend of dog shows at the Polo grounds in Indio. We were very happy to have found this hotel that takes dogs. The hotel grounds are perfect for walking your dog, with plenty of grassy areas. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and the bed was comfortable. The morning breakfast was a plus with fresh eggs and sausages as well as pancakes. The only reason I didn't give the hotel a 5 star rating is that the trains passing in the night were rattling the windows in our room. But this was probably due to our room directly facing the tracks. Now the noise wasn't horrible but the windows rattling was not pleasant.
Great place to stay if you have family is in Indio Ca....Noise is high because of a night club or convention place is in parking lot..Rooms next to the breakfast place are noisy..water pressure not good also Train is loud if you are in the front of the Hotel
Quiet, clean with very nice grounds. Housekeeping took care of everything very well. Front desk staff was friendly and professional. We had dogs with us and there was plenty of green space to walk them.
I stay here every year for the dog show. Nice place. No elevator which makes it hard if you have to haul a lot of stuff to the second floor. No one at the front desk offered assistance either.Very dog friendly with lots of areas to walk the dogs. Unfortunately the hotel is right by train tracks and trains run at night so noise level is not good. The
Lovely mid-century feel hotel, spacious rooms, nice pool, very good breakfast. We enjoy this hotel, and stay here regularly on trips between AZ and CA. Highly recommend! The staff is friendly, and if there's ever a problem, they make it right!
Very friendly and accommodating staff who provided exceptionally clean rooms along with the use of a free washer and dryer and lovely heated pool and spa made our overnight stay very enjoyable and comfortable.
Stayed here 4 different years. Never had a bad stay. Rooms quiet, beds comfy. Staff accommodating. Close to where we needed to be. Full breakfast. Nice pool area. Our room had a terrace which was also very nice. We will return again.
Rooms are very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast they offer is great with a great selection of items and is included. The pool and spa are opened 24 hours. I also loved the express check out. Just leave the card keys in the room and leave.
We had a fast and easy check-in at this older motel. The first room we were given was next to noisy ice and vending machines, so we requested a change to a quieter room. It was large and well lit with comfortable bed and furniture. It had a large mini-fridge with freezer and a microwave. The bathroom was small but well lit, with limited counter space and a good shower head. The air conditioner was effective but noisy. Breakfast included a wide variety of items, including unappetizing and salty processed scrambled eggs, but decent bacon and cooked oatmeal.
We had been on the road for 8 hours and realized we couldn't make our destination on the little sleep we had left in us so we pulled into this Best Western in Indio. We were greeted with a smile and great service. I wish I knew the girls name who got us a room and a great price but all I can say is that she was our savior that night. She even offered to keep an eye on our U-Haul and trailer while we slept. We had a restful night; the bed was very comfortable and the shower had nice water pressure. When we woke up early for breakfast, the same girl was at the desk and she greeted us again with a warm smile. We will definitely recommend this place!
Spotless, comfortable and pleasant! I will always stop here in the future when travel so dictates ---a very nice stay. Staff was very helpful with dinner recommendations, down the street for Mexican was OVER the top,
the staff was great the pool was very clean and everything about this hotel was excellent if i ever come back to california i would for sure come back to this hotel. The breakfast was fresh and warm and everything from the staff to the room service was great!
My wife and I travel quite a bit and have stayed at many hotels. would highly recommend staying at this Best Western. For one, the full breakfast was one of the best we've ever had. All the food was fresh and well prepared, there was a yogurt dispenser with a variety of condiments to mix in (no tiny containers of yogurt in the fridge), a hot chocolate machine... Also, our room had space to spare. When we entered, there was an open space in the entryway. What surprised me was that there were no pieces of furniture crammed into that space - it was space! Having that made the room seem so much larger and comfortable. Sure, they could have place a sofa or padded chairs, but having that space made the room, period Very friendly staff, I might add.
The room was wonderfully roomy and came with a real closet. The mini fridge had a little freezer, often missing in mini- fridge world. The breakfast had allergy free options. And of course all the staff were helpful and friendly.
This property is over 50 years old, but you would never know it from its appearance. It has been thoroughly updated, and the rooms are just as spacious as the day it was built. Rooms have slowly shrunk over the years, to the point where a recent property I stayed out had only a foot of space between the bed and the wall. And there was a painting on the wall. I had visions of getting up in the middle of the night, bumping into the painting, and stumbling around with my head poking out of the canvas. Fortunately, that didn't happen there, and it could never happen at the Best Western Date Tree. DVD player in the room; DVDs available in the lobby. Full SoCal breakfast (Gluten-free Rice Chex, Fresh Yogurt Machine, several varieties of soy milk), plus all the items you normally find in the rest of the country. To sum it up: perfectly maintained, beautifully landscaped, great rooms, and a wonderful breakfast. Will definitely stay here next time I am in Indio.
On our way from LA to Phoenix we stayed at this hotel the 3rd time in a row each time for (unfortunately) one night only. The cleanliness, the location, the friendliness of the staff and the great breakfast with vegan options make the hotel special in its price class. The large pool is extraordinary and as it would be really too bad to stay there only for one night, we decided to plan a longer stay next year. :) I would like to mention the extreme helpful and polite front desk staff .. Kevin and Jacob, you are doing an excellent job .. and the Spanish speaking lady responsible for the breakfast is also super friendly and keeps the breakfast room very clean and the buffet always filled up! You all made us feel home away from home and extremely comfortable.
Easy in and out. Quiet and clean. Friendly staff. One of the better breakfast setups you will have and BW is very good with breakfast. A little bit off the interstate. The property looked a little aged in some areas, but is overall well maintained.
He loves to stay at the Best Western. He's a huge fan of their property, the staff is always friendly and says the food is great. He likes the spacious pool area and says he prefers staying there than with his own family! That's how much he likes this place.
We were delighted to find the Date Palm BW. Besides a lovely, clean room and an unusually attractive and spacious pool area, the breakfast was top notch with many items we'd never seen before in a hotel breakfast. It also opened at 5:30 a.m. which is appreciated for those wanting to get a head start on a hot desert drive or to avoid the LA morning traffic. To top it off, a free DIY laundry room - what a treat for those on a driving trip! Bottom line: We'll be back!
This was a perfect overnight visit. Lots of nice touches from the dates and lemon iced water at front desk (staffed by friendly and helpful folks) to the excellent room to full breakfast in the morning with adjacent patio in garden setting. Will definitely come back!!!
Stayed at a Days Inn a week before for the same price, and the difference in quality and care of the rooms was not even comparable. This hotel surprised us, and really made our stay comfortable after a long day of driving. Clean rooms, efficient service, good breakfast.
older and great place, clean with great pool, great breakfast selection, must do the pancake machine, super friendly staff, trains a bit loud at night but I love it, a go to place for us, if you see Gidget tell her "Hi."
How about letting you know that they have bogus fee or tax called a ‘Resort Fee'. Sick of stupid made up charges that you get nothing for. Worse of all I was not told of it and was charged to my card.
The room was so nice and clean. The staff was so accommodating and pleasant. The Breakfast was above and beyond what my wife and I ever expected. The grounds were well manicured and neat. The pool was clean and inviting. The amenities offered in the room included a microwave, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, hairdryer and ironing board and iron. The selection at breakfast was nothing short of amazing, EVERYTHING you could imagine. Free DVDs offered in the lobby. Free Dates and ice water at the front desk. Free computer use in lobby.
A brief visit to visit a cousin... the room was delightful, everything perfect. All we did there was sleep but it would have been nice to luxuriate. TV and internet were good. Lobby has a nice selection of DVDs I have stayed here before, and this is one of the good BW places. However, a caveat ... no eating places though there are plenty nearby. This was July and very hot so even at 7:30 am the pool was bathwater warm. Pool area could use more shade.
This is a large hotel with several sections which are accessed from an interior corridor. The grounds are surrounded by tall palm trees and it is a pleasant setting. The room was fine with microwave and refrigerator. There was no fitness center but I got my walking in by making several laps around the grounds. Breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room was very adequate. The staff with whom we interacted were all friendly and professional. Overall, a very nice hotel. .
Really enjoyed our stay here, staff is friendly...Crystal on check in, Jessica on check out and Josh over phone were very helpful. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Free check out on large selection of DVDs. Also comfy beds!
We have stayed at this hotel twice. Both times we had a good experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have an above average breakfast. They offer movies on DVD for in room use. One warning is there are no elevators for the second floor. They are near train tracks. They offer ear plugs but we had no need for them. Plenty of plug for your electronics.
We stayed here on our last night of a two week road trip through California. It wasn't too far off the I10. The room was adequate, if not a little dated. The hotel is pet friendly, and the breakfast was good. There is a nice, large swimming pool which is nice in the desert heat!
We called ahead and got a disability equipped room. Very roomy, comfortable king bed, coffeemaker, DVD player, microwave, mini-fridge, free wifi. The front desk will loan you their DVDs free of charge, some older titles, but a big selection. Breakfast in the morning, swimming pool and hot tub are open 24 hours! What else could you ask for? We plan to visit again as we travel from Arizona to California every summer!
I was travelling to Phoenix and my car developed trouble about 10 miles out town. After 2 hours in 107 degree heat waiting for a tow truck, the driver dropped me and my dog off at the Best Western Date Tree Hotel. Jacob was working at the front desk. After listening to my tale of woe, he offered me a room without charging a deposit for my dog. Then he offered to upgrade me to a suite. I was hot, sweaty and depressed. A few minutes later I was still hot and sweaty but no longer depressed. He wanted to make my stay as comfortable as possible. even calling before he went off duty. The suite had a large living room, a full kitchen, large bathroom and a huge bedroom. The included breakfast has everything from fruit, cereal, bagels, to pancakes, waffles, and eggs, sausage and potatoes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Indio area.
Nice and Comfortable, centrally located, nice pool & spa, really nice breakfast and eating outside felt great. We enjoyed the complementary dates at the front desk, We would definitely stay there the next time we are in Indio, CA
We were attending a concert at Fantasy Springs and this hotel fit the bill of a place not too far and not too expensive. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The grounds are very nicely kept and the rooms are large and clean. The included breakfast is outstanding with lots of options to choose from. There is a train running nearby so if you're a light sleeper ask for a room away from the tracks.
A little confusing getting to this hotel, but once you get there thsrd is a huge 24 hour heated pool to welcome you. Check is fast and friendly. Free breakfast was great, including pancakes and waffles
We have been coming here with our group for over 10 years. Esmerelda is always so helpful and accommodating while booking our group. Jacob greets us with a warm smile and a friendly welcome. Some new staff worth mentioning were Joshua and Kevin. The groundskeeper and cleaning staff take exceptional care of us. The property is neat and clean. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. We just love the staff, the location, and the amenities.
We had a wonderful stay at this family-oriented hotel. The pool is HUGE and very kid friendly. Perfect at the end of a long day. Accommodations are not fancy; however, staff is what makes or breaks a hotel and Jessica, David, Joshua, Sarah and Tracy all took great care of us and our children. Vibe is personable, professional and responsive. We caught a break with the usually hot weather. 88 degrees most days. Had to smile when David recommended we take sweaters, but he was right: it was cold that night. Breakfast is an event. Some of the best oatmeal I've had in a while with wonderful fixings like fresh walnuts, shaved almonds, and mixed berries. Boysenberry syrup if you're so inclined. We LOVED the cool Rube Goldberg machines like the conveyer belt pancake maker and ballistic yogurt machine. Everything well-stocked and tidy. The dining room was sunny and bright. Landscaping is well-tended and interesting with towering cacti. Management clearly has an eye for detail and small touches that is very-much appreciated. For example, the intensive DVD library.
It was convenient, easy to find, has a very big pool, a hot tub, grills outside. The rooms maybe were a bit older than many Best Western but it was clean and fine. Probably the main surprising thing was that they had info stating that if noise bothered you, they would gladly provide earplugs. What??!! There were a lot of young men staying there and I guess that hang out in the lobby. Luckily, I conked out, but my sister had to wear earplugs and was not happy. The hotel should find a way to contain the noise or end it by 10PM, if not sooner.
We stayed here for two nights, after a 3 hour drive from LA. It was pretty easy to find despite the road layout having changed since our rental's SatNav was last updated! The hotel is very friendly, both staff and customers, and the room was fine. The breakfast is basic but plentiful, handy for stocking up on calories before a day's hike. The area round the hotel is largely empty with only one restaurant (El Campanario) within walking distance. The empty lots nearby give it a slightly unsafe feel, although we had no problems. There is an offer of earplugs in the room, presumably for the trains that run nearby. We could barely hear them so this was not an issue for us. All-in-all, a good value hotel.
First off, this was our first time staying at this Hotel, we normally stay close to the freeway. However, we brought our dog and required a pet friendly hotel. This hotel is about two and one half miles from the free way, not what we were told. It is in a depressed area of Indio as well. My truck has a fancy alarm on the key fab notifying you if there is a lntruder in the truck . I'm not sure if I want to find out. I'll just call security I guess. The room was nice and breakfast was great. I learned how to use the new waffle machines and it was great. We had a pleasant stay but a slower start because of the location.
We spent the day hiking JTNP and landed at Best Western a bit worn out. The place was just what we needed ... relatively clean, comfortable, and quiet. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was ample and the beds comfortable. The breakfast room was overcrowded as they usually are and the staff struggled to keep up with refreshing the food and keeping it clean (no thanks to some less-than-helpful guests).
I have been stopping here, not only for its rooms, but also because it's a really good central location in the desert. The rooms are nice and comfortable. You have a great selection for breakfast in the morning. It's always a pleasure to stay here. The staff, Jessica, Martha, Peter, Krystal, Jacob, (just to name a few) are always very courteous and helpful. This is truly a memorable place for me and my family. We did have a suite this time and it was spacious with a full sized refrigerator and stove. Thank you to the Manager Aaron and all the staff for making this Hotel one of my favorites.
Very nice room...comfortable and clean. The amenities were pleasant and the pool was fun. We had a suite and the room was spacious. The bathroom was small but adequate. The kitchen area had plenty of dishes, etc. to make a meal. I would stay here again.
We had a very pleasant stay. The staff could not have been more helpful. Really enjoyed the wide variety of items available for the complementary breakfast. The heated swimming pool is quite large. The location was also handy for us attending the Indian Wells tennis tournament.
Just back from another great stay at Date Tree Inn. Been going to this hotel annually for over 20 years. Always clean, comfortable and convenient. Hotel staff are warm, friendly and very accommodating, especially Aaron and Jacob. Each year this hotel seems to get a facelift in one way or another. Great new pancakes machine adds even more variety to the complimentary breakfast. Don't miss the delicious dates when you check in.
We had to switch hotels last minute and found rooms available here. A quick check of online reviews looked positive so I booked and am glad we did. This hotel is a bit out of the way and an older property but has a lot of positives. The hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped and it has a large heated pool and hot tub. The hotel is divided up into three separate 2 story buildings. Front desk and breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel breakfast had a nice variety. Beds were super comfortable and it was quiet all three nights of our stay. I found price to be a bit expensive for what the rooms were like but there were events in town and it wasn't out of line compared to other area hotels. Housekeeping wasn't overly impressive as not all used items were replaced in room daily and the hall carpet was gross and wasn't vacuumed the entire time we were there.
We didn't have any problems to report on this trip. It is a standard best western hotel with some updates made to the room. It was convenient for us, since we came from Anza Borrego State Park and were en route to Joshua Tree National Park. The staff was able to provide a list of places to eat in the area with directions & recommendations which was much appreciated.
I chose this hotel because of the great rate and because I noticed that the management gives a personal response to each of guest reviews submitted on trip advisor. Many hotels give a generic response on trip advisor but the management at this Best Western hotel give a personal and individual response addressing any issues or concerns a guest may have encountered during their stay. Any concerns are addressed and any praise is appreciated. Upon check in the staff greeted us and gave us a couple options for the type of room we could have for our 3 night stay. Our room was on the ground floor in the 3rd building and close to the pool - just what we wanted. The room was clean and beds comfortable, was cleaned and restocked every day. The hotel grounds and pool area were nicely groomed and clean. The breakfast had a good variety of breakfast items. As mentioned before the Palm Springs area was busy that weekend and room rates that were very high everywhere. This hotel was very accommodating with giving me the same reasonable rate for all 3 nights. I cannot give enough praise to the front desk staff...professional and so friendly. They really do appreciate your business and are genuinely concerned to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I would definitely stay here again.
Very quiet and very clean. This hotel was well managed, well cared for. Staff were polite and helpful. Good breakfast. My only preference would be for there to be somewhere we could walk for dinner. But there were many options close by.
Very consistent as BW is, friendly staff listened to what you had to say, quiet, close to most everything in area. Pool was great. Will certainly stay there again next winter when I come down to warm up.
Another wonderful year at our favorite Date Tree Hotel in Indio! Rooms are always being updated and super clean! And I always love visiting with the staff we see every year! All staff are friendly and helpful! Thank you Aaron!
Had another great relaxing stay at the Date Tree Hotel in Indio. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the pool, the breakfast and the suite was spacious with updated decor. Can't wait to go back again and take advantage of the local restaurants and events. Great location!
Where do I begin? Let's start with the Front Desk staff, Kevin. What a super nice guy who let us know all about the free amenities the hotel had to offer. What a blessing. Date night, my hubby and I decided to go all out: Dinner, hotel, Lyft chauffeur services, and the Temptations with the Four Tops concert with late night out dancing at the Lit Lounge. We pulled out all the stops but Fantasy Springs, Quality Inn, and Holiday Inn were all booked. Fortunately for us. The Best Western Date Tree hotel really lived up to their name “The Date Hotel” room staff, food services, reservations, janitorial, grounds keeper, everyone of them, including but not limited to, Sara all were so welcoming and concerned about making our one night stay exceptional. It was! We will be back again with our grand babies for all night swimming and very clean perfectly heated jacuzzi.
This hotel is a great place to stay for use as a base, then go out on day trips, read a book on the comfortable patio or enjoy the pool. The coffee is always on, with a sumptuous variety of breakfast options each morning. The staff members are courteous and always go out of their way to be most accommodating. The manager, Aaron Segal, is hands-on in overseeing the daily tasks at hand. The grounds are beautiful and meticulous, constantly being pampered for happy horticulture. Nearby is a Mexican restaurant for excellent home-made meals, generous portions at reasonable prices. THE hotel for maximum appreciation of the Coachella Valley.
This is my favourite motel in the Cochella Valley. Neat as a pin, friendly staff, well located, and tremendous value for money. The breakfasts are good value, with fresh fruit always a hit. And the coffee is hot!
While stopping for a travel break between California and Arizona we found this quiet hotel in Indio, California The hotel isn't far from the I10 easy on and off . The room is very clean and comfortable with a nice size refridgerator for someone who may need it. Breakfast is very good so no need to go out looking for a place to eat in the morning. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is our second stay there and it won't be our last.
I have stayed at this property several times over several years . Each time has been consistently excellent. The rooms and grounds are keep impeccably. The staff...Jessica is wonderful, very helpful and accommodating. If you are going to or from Palm Desert you need to make this property a stop. I wish every Best Western had this standard of quality and customer service.
stayed at the Date Tree for the annual Dog show. This was our third year in a row staying at this hotel. staff is extremely accommodating , rooms are large and clean, breakfast good and price is very reasonable. would highly recommend.
I've stayed a this hotel many times for the dog show. The hotel is very welcoming to dogs and people. Lots of parking space and beautiful grassy areas for dogs. The parking areas are easily accessible to the rooms.
We have stayed here before and given it a good review because we found it quite fit-for-purpose as a one-night rest stop on trips from the CA coast to southern AZ. This visit, however, was very disappointing. First, we were greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke in a smoke-free room. We could detect it in the hallway. We were too road weary to ask for another room. During a bathroom trip during the night my wife was greeted by a cockroach. Those two things alone are enough for a much lower rating than on our prior stop. Also upon arrival we reported to the front desk the smell of natural gas in the parking lot, which seemed to be coming from a small structure in the area behind our building. The next morning the smell was still present. We don't know if this is a safety concern but it was certainly an unusual thing to encounter that close to a hotel. Our room seemed as weary as we were — chipped furniture and paint; frayed carpet; chipped bathroom mirror. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The breakfast offered was good, with the offerings being kept fresh, warm and well stocked. Unfortunately, the serving area for most of the food is in a narrow hallway that made it very difficult for guests to use it and to go and from the room where the tables were located. A redesign of this area would be nice. At checkout the front desk gave us a $25 credit for the smoke smell and cockroach encounter. The desk clerk mumbled a halfhearted "Sorry about that" without ever looking up from the computer screen. She didn't seem to care much. We left feeling we would rate our visit as a one-star experience. But, after responding to a BW survey, we received a very quick and very nice apology from the general manager, who credited us with the full cost of the room that had the smoke and roach problem. His sincere response was much appreciated and if further action is taken to address the issues then this place could return to a solid choice for weary travelers.
Difficult to find in the dark but worth the effort. Very pleasant and helpful staff at check in and out. Amenities what expected at a Best Western. We would definitely stay again should the need arise.
Well we needed desperately to get out of the cold!! So where do we go - our favorite place in the desert Best Western Date Tree! Spent Christmas with the family and off to the desert for New Years! Welcomed back by wonderful front desk employees, had a great week, watched free movie rentals in our very comfortable room, had great breakfasts and an impromptu little gathering with the employees working New Year's Eve!! All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable trip!!
The smell. The broken window. The ‘breakfast'. This place needs a major refurb and could also use an acoustic separation upgrade. I'm sure if you're off the rails at Coachella it will do but otherwise, no. Total rip-off.
All staff were very friendly and attentive. Liked the healthy and nicely done varied breakfast. Everything was nice and clean. A good extra service was that we could borrow a movie to our room. Thanks for a very nice stay!
Wonderful stay. Excellent staff at check-in with quick and easy process. Good quality for the price. Convenient location to Fantasy Springs Casino. The rooms are equipped with refrigerator and microwave which is a plus compared to other hotels.
I was not expecting such a wonderful place. We have decided that this is our place of residence when traveling to Mexico. The outside area is an oasis, the pool was clean, large and inviting. the rooms are large and clean. Stay here if you are in the area!
I had booked over the phone a rewards night. When I arrived after a very long day, the reservation was not in their system. Sarah, and the guys tracked it down and made it right. We have a quiet room and will sleep well.
The hotel is super clean, comfortable and friendly. Everything feels ‘like new'. I can't remember the woman that check us in, but it was really late. She was friendly and accommodating, especially when I came to the realization I had forgotten my toothbrush; she was quick to offer me a toothbrush and toothpaste. In the morning at the front desk, Aaron and Josh wished us a good morning and asked about our Christmas plans while checking out. Josh also invited us to partake in a really solid breakfast spread. Overall the place is and A+ / S ranked hotel. Will definitely return next time I visit my family.
Only stayed one night but the staff and amenities were very nice. Sarah at the front counter was very helpful and quick with our check in. Josh did a great job keeping the breakfast food stocked and the area clean. Jacob was very quick and friendly with our checkout as well. The cleaning staff was very courteous. My wife and I used the Jacuzzi for a little midnight dip and it was very relaxing. Will definitely stay again!
I stopped here for one night on my way from LA to Tucson with my 2 large dogs. I wasn't expecting much, just a place to spend the night that allowed dogs. I pleasantly surprised by how wonderfully nice everything was -- the staff, the room, the grounds. The staff is very friendly, the grounds and rooms are immaculate. Very laid back attitude about the dogs. For dinner, they have a list of local restaurants with good driving direction to each. Self-serve breakfast buffet in the morning with good coffee. I highly recommend this hotel.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Hotel in Indio, California on the 9th of December 2017. From the supportive and very knowledgeable staff, to the free breakfast included with the room fee, I will always look for a Best Western Hotel to stay at in future travels in the great state of California and elsewhere!
A comfortable hotel with helpful staff. The rate includes a buffet breakfast, with hot and cold choices. The grounds are nice. My room , located in the 300 building, could have used some TLC but it was large and quiet. There is a train track across the street which might be noisy but in the back of the premises was no problem
We settled for a night in Indio as our daughter wanted to visit Salvation Mountain and East Jesus. We were pleasantly surprised. Apart from being in a location in which there are so many options to find things to do the quality of the hotel combined with the value of the experience made it a brilliant place to stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent quality and quantity of included breakfast - served in a spotless environment made it fantastic.
I felt very comfortable the staff is helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back . The breakfast is very good with a large variety. They have a very big heated pool open 24 hours a day. Lots of things to do close by. Express check in and check out is very convenient . G.M. Aaron made sure we were well taken care of.
Excellent in all ways! We stopped on our way to Arizona. We had our dogs with us & was nice to get a good night sleep before continuing our drive. It was awesome! We just wish we had time to enjoy the pool.
Great breakfast and location! Room was clean and have a coffee maker, fridge and microwave! Good value for staying 9 nights to! We'd stay here again! Staff was friendly and helpful.Shopping not to far away and a great Mexican restaurant across the street!
Kevin at the front desk did an amazing job explaining everything the hotel had to offer. Room was clean and air conditioner worked well, important in the desert. Full breakfast has everything you could want. Hotel has a very large pool to enjoy. All staff were friendly and welcoming.
This hotel far exceeded our expectations. It's a wonderful location and achieves 5 star rating in our opinion. The staff were very helpful as we were newcomers to the area. All the amenities were in good condition and everything was in good order.
we traveled to Indio for my brothers 70th birthday party . we chose this hotel for location and the ratings. it worked out perfect for us. the staff was excellent, the rooms were clean and updated. this was a perfect location for our needs. plus we had two free nights to our credit !
I am very surprised that recent comments have not written about the train and traffic noise at this location. The Date Tree is on Indio Blvd. and across from a very active train track. We always come prepared. I had my ear plugs, noise machine, and we turned on the fan (no a/c if fan is on). No bath tub, only a shower. There are no services within walking distance of the property. However, price was good, property is well-maintained, nice customer service, right off of the freeway (although GPS is a little strange). Be prepared to ask for a room to lessen train noise.
My wife and I checked in late Saturday night after having celebrated our friends 40th birthday. After a long night of drinking, dancing, and catching up with great friends, we looked forward to good nights sleep before we made our trek back home to L.A. We were immediately welcomed by the hotels friendly staff who made our check in experience pleasant and speedy. We found our room to be very clean and the bed as comfortable as our bed at home. We will definitely be back and will recommend all of our friends visiting Indio to stay at this wonderful hotel.
the pool was warm and my family swam in the pool in November! No insects in the water like in Borrego Springs. The breakfast was warm and you can choose from many things to eat, you can even make your own pancakes. )) And fresh yogurt! Their granola is awesome! 10 stars for the breakfast! Thanks!
So, we didn't really plan this stop. We thought we would find some place when we jumped off the freeway and the first place tried was full and very spendy. Back on I-10 and a bit further down the road we found the Date Tree property. We were pretty much spent from our drive of the day and didn't explore to find dinner. Instead we ordered pizza from nearby and had a bit of wine for dinner. There are train sounds much of the time during the night but it is not offensive... especially since I tend to like trains. About three in the morning there was a cricket tuning up by the window but when I investigated it went silent and never came back.. Staff was appreciative when I mentioned this during check out. I would stay there again and felt that easy access from I-10 was a plus. The room was clean and the staff attentive.
This hotel is better than expected when it came to cleanliness. It's located off Indio Blvd which is about a mile or so off of the freeway. Its away from any shopping centers yet still close enough to drive to food and stores. The pool is open 24 hours. Lots of parking.
This is a good place to stay. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was helpful, and the amenities were nice. I was able to use the hotel computer and printer to reprint a map when our travel plans changed. The breakfast was fantastic and lots of options.
The receptionist is just perfect, very kind, very welcoming. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. I didn't tried the swimming pool but it's a big pool. I definitely recommend this hotel. Well situated if you visit Joshua tree park.
I enjoyed the staff. They went over and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. The rooms were very clean and roomy. I was very satisfied with the price and location of hotel.I will definitely use Best Western again for our trips.
We had a great room. Very clean and well appointed. This time we brought our pool attire and what a pleasure. Large pool area with Jacuzzi. The staff at this hotel is very good. Breakfast bar had a great balance of foods.
The staff here is very nice, and we loved that they offered us dates when we checked in-it was very cute since I guess this area is known for the fruit. The rooms were average, we had a couple of bugs in our room, but it's out in the desert, so it wasn't too surprising. There wasn't an elevator (at least not one we could find), so we had to lug our cooler and bags up the stairs. Additionally, the door knob on the bathroom door was busted so the door would not close all the way. We reported it to the front desk and the person who answered seemed to not care. Overall, it was an average hotel, we would stay here again if we are in Indio again.
We frequently stay at this BW property and find it a good value and will be staying there again. The staff is friendly and helpful and the facility is clean and the pool is wonderful. Access from I-10 is a bit tricky and a GPS would be helpful for first time visitors.
We make about 8 trips east each year and this hotel is always our stay spot. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The guest rooms are attractive and comfortable. The pool area, open 24/7 is very pretty and clean. Totally enjoy our many stays here.
It was a nice and clean hotel. I really enjoy the pool and my daughter enjoy the Disney channel. I loved how the cleaning ladies were so kind, smiling and wishing us a happy return home. They offer help and I also like their great positive attitude. The food was delicious, the yogurt bar, and the waffles were delicious. I was here for a business trip, but took my daughter and friend, they all enjoy the stay.
Very clean and quiet. Easy on and easy off the highway with complimentary laundry rooms! The breakfast was wonderful with a large variety of items. The grounds were well maintained for our morning walk with our doggie.Lots of restaurants close by.The staff really love their jobs and it shows. The beds were very nice!
VERY nice hotel with spacious room! We had a private balcony with 2 chairs and a small table which was extremely pleasant to sit out on at night.Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful and breakfast was very good. Trains close by present a bit of noise if you are sensitive but since we were so pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the room, we didn't mind at all. I always travel with ear plugs anyway and trains are better than screaming loud hotel guests!
This is a typical best western, from the grounds to the room every thing is fist rate ,what used to be continually breakfast is now a full breakfast, you still have to help yourself and fix waffles but they have pancakes now and more choices of food The room was clean and did not smell of cleaning fluids, with a 40 inch flat tv and a DVD player with a larger selection of movies,i believe free. The AC had a adjustable thermostat and worked flawlessly ,the room had a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. Breakfast was ready at 6am.
I stay in this hotel whenever I travel to the area. I know I will recieve quality care and comfort. I travel with my two dogs and there is never an issue that my dogs are with me. The staff that assist me and the staff I see working around the hotel are always friendly and helpful.
I just love this place and can't stay anywhere else. It is perfect in every way. The service, amazing. The cleanliness, spotless. The location, on the spot. When you travel with family and small children, there is so much to worry about, but this place I feel like takes the worry away. The rooms are so convenient for family, especially the suites. The pool is perfect, has grill right there. The kids can swim while you grill hot dogs. And it is beautiful. It is old Palm Springs as in the movies. Can't say enough good things about the staff. Aaron is our guy. Thank you to everyone who entertains a crazy moms every request and makes it a vacation for me too.
Our stay was very enjoyable. The buildings and grounds are immaculate. Our room was pretty much standard for a Best Western, The beds were great, the furnishings well-maintained, and the AC, TV, DVD mini fridge and coffee pot all worked as advertised. The most pleasant surprise was the complimentary breakfast, probably the most complete and good-tasting one I've had in a hotel in ages. The salsa for the scrambled eggs was definitely home made and outstanding. As we were checking out, the manager, who was very friendly and helpful was conversing with another couple, in, of all things, fluent German---another surprise one would not expect out here in the desert. It made this couple's morning as German speakers are pretty rare in the U.S. I would stay here again.
This location is great and so was the serveries my family loved it had 4 rooms booked. The pool was awesome we where able to grill eat and swim this is our 3rd time staying here the staff is great took care of all our needs .
This was a half-way stop for us on our trip to take our Granddaughter to college out of state. There seemed to be very few guests while we were there and I enjoyed having the pool to myself after driving all day. The only complaint I had was the lower than preferred water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was plentiful.
Back again for our summer getaway!! love this hotel, the front desk staff is exceptional (Jacob, Jessica) always ready to assist, housekeeping does a great job of keeping rooms clean and fresh and breakfast is always kept full and hot with a wide selection of breakfast items!! The renovations are looking really good and don't forget the free DVDs available at the front desk for all guests!! It's like being with family! My husband and I really enjoy staying here!! Thank you Aaron and staff!
This was a middle-of-the-road hotel. The AC worked well, most importantly, and parking was easy. The staff when we checked in were weirdly hostile. I asked what the hours for breakfast were, and she huffily told me she'd get to that, and then went into a 5-minute speech about the hotel. I was in room 121, and someone in another room who clearly wanted to call 1-213-... kept forgetting to dial 9 and dialed our room several times in the middle of the night. The staff were unwilling to help, or offer any sort of refund. Of course they could easily prevent the problem by requiring guests to push another button, like the pound key, in order to dial in between rooms. Breakfast was okay. Not a memorable place.
Upon my work trip I must say the experience was great. The hotel was very clean , breakfast very prepared and the stay very comfortable I recommend the hotel to any one traveling to La Quinta or near by Best Western your stay I promise you will agree
We were greeted warmly and our reservations were all correct. Bowls of fruit and coffee were available, and their breakfast is truly a step above most other BWs where we have stayed. Our problem is that the accessible room was as far away from everything else as it could be. Ice, pool, front desk, breakfast room etc. We didn't use the pool for that reason. The whole first building was closed for renovations so that must be taken into consideration, but if they will still put those rooms at the far end of the building, my complaint remains. BW Long Beach had much better showers, but that is the only way they were outclassed.
The fresh strawberries and blueberries were a great addition to an already outstanding breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and it met our basic needs while traveling: good bed, clean room, pet friendly with not fee, helpful staff, and wonderful breakfast. The hotel is a bit dated, but that's okay. They are currently remodeling.
The pool is open 24 hours. The place felt like an old studio apartment building converted into a motel. People seemed to be living there. The room we got had been recently updated with lots of faux granite in the bathroom. Clean and comfortable.
Traveling across the desert during the summer is not one's favorite part of vacation, but I found a bit of an oasis in Indio, CA. This Best Western has a large crystal clear pool that is kept open 24 hours a day. An evening dip was just what I needed to relax at this just off I-10 hotel. A good night's sleep was followed up with a big complimentary breakfast. With a great cup of coffee in a to-go cup I was ready to continue my traveling. Thanks Best Western for your friendly service too.
Best choice for the area, especially in the summer. Well-appointed property, easy access to Route 10 and Fred Waring thoroughfare. Very nice room with all the accessories. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Pool out front. I am recommending this hotel to others and plan to return when visiting family in the Coachella Valley. Outstanding value.
Hotel was wonderful and very quiet. Good breakfast and seating outside to enjoy the morning! It was nice to know the pool was open 24hrs and that they had a great selection of movies to watch. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Jacob at the front desk was able to check us in early, and we'd been driving all night so that in and of itself was amazing. He was super friendly and helpful. And maintenance guys Robert and Jeffrey saved us with fixing cooling system in room. Staff at this hotel made our stay great!
After a long exhausting day of driving through the blazing heat of Southern Arizona then on into the continuing inferno of the Salton Sea Indio area, it was very welcoming and comforting to call it a day at the Best Western Date Tree. The front desk gentleman greeted us with such a compassionate, helpful, yet professional attitude. The room was extremely comfortable and cool. The breakfast was the most comprehensive we've ever found at any motel or hotel. In addition to hot prepared eggs and meats, they also had fresh fruits including sliced strawberries and blueberries, plus many other morning choices. An over all great place to stay.
We stayed only one night but room was very clean and price very reasonable. Front desk was very accommodating for my handicapped sister. Room clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast was super. They want too many characters and I have said enough.
Good service, friendly atmosphere. Clean rooms and bathroom. Swimming pool was a good size. Comfortable bed and the breakfast was by some of the best I have ever had in a hotel! High recommend it to other peeps
This is the best hotel in Indio. The staff is so nice, very friendly and accommodating. The room was super clean and spacious and the hotel location was very convenient for our planned activities. We will stay here again for sure!
excellent exceded our expationes. would highley recommend this hotel. the staff cared about making their guests comfortable the grounds were great and the room was clean and smelled fresh it was hot outside but the air con worked great
Great place to stay in Indio! We didn't expect much when we booked this hotel, however, it exceeded our expectations! The value is excellent..the breakfast is pretty good. The staff is super friendly and helpful. This location is also pet friendly! We will definitely book this hotel when staying in the area.
I invited family members to join us at this hotel for a B B Q and pool fun witch turn out great. this hotel also provides free breakfast . and I must say was not your norm. the breakfast was great. all family members were very satisfied . we are ready planning our next stay.
Please pay attention on cleaning service. I hope no more bug if one day I stay at BW hotel. I cannot slept very well that night because I was wondering if there will be another bug. Please make sure vacuum the bed frame, under bed at least once a week, make sure
I'm a local and a Best Western Diamond member and when it comes to staying at Best Western there's no other place I'll rather stay than Best Western. When it comes to summer time here in the Coachella Valley sometimes we'll stay here to enjoy they're MASSIVE Swimming pool, it's great to get away and enjoy a beautiful pool in the very cool air conditioned rooms. For great food El Campanario next door is really good.
We stayed during coachella weekend! I love it! staff, breakfast, easy check-in... everything was perfect! I didnt go the pool, it was too hot... but for being a busy weekend, the pool only had 2 or 3 people at whole weekend. Hotel look is way better than the pictures! i will definately will recommend to friends and stay at this hotel next time im at coachella!
even though they was renovating the location, it was quite and clean. They gave us a room that was very convenient to walk the dogs. We make this our go to place each time we travel in that direction.
Very nice hotel on extensive grounds with LARGE swimming pool. While rooms are somewhat dated, the one assigned was well taken care of with an upgraded bathroom. Would not hesitate to stay during future visits to the area.
My husband & I go to Coachella every year for our anniversary and this year marks #11! We've been staying at the Date Tree Best Western since 2013. We've stayed at a lot of hotels in Indio, Palm Desert & Palm Springs area & we really enjoy the Date Tree BW. Once we discovered this gem, this is our place! It's super close to the Polo Field so we save a lot of time logistically getting to the festival (plus the hotel has a shuttle service)!!!! It's located right off the 10 freeway and close to local grocery stores for any necessities you have to pick up or restock. Driving in, check in is super easy! They just remodeled their lobby with a more modern look. I really like the new furniture and open space business center. Upon checking in they gave a thoughtful goodie bag with Gatorade, muffin and other little snacks. Their staff is always so friendly and helpful. Parking is easy, you can pull up to your building so unloading/loading is super convenient. We always get one of the suites which is nice because it has a comfy living room area with a full kitchen with 3 barstools, a shower + jacuzzi tub and large bedroom. This year they've made a few renovations. All the suites have nice plantation shutters instead of the curtains. It's a nice upgrade and I enjoyed cracking open a few blinds, while still feeling like I had privacy. The kitchen also looked like it had a facelift as well. I've always loved the pool at this Best Western! It has a pretty landscape of palm trees but not a lot of trees that blow debri in the pool. There are plenty of lounge beds to lay out (my favorite), plus they have 3-4 tables with tropical straw umbrellas if you want to eat/drink in the shade. The pool & Jacuzzi area are always very CLEAN and even when a lot of people are out, I never feel like it's over crowded. I've enjoyed many screw drivers floating away in this pool! Extra bonus…. There is an awesome taco lady by the poolside! Martha makes some killer tacos and ribs! For being one of the biggest party weekends of the year, the hotel is super quiet and everyone is very respectful.
This was my second stay at "Date Tree". It is a dog friendly hotel and has a very nice grassy area for my small dog. It stood out from my stay last year because of the wonderful breakfast they serve. Very comfortable beds too!
We are senior citizens and were in need of a hotel that accepted 2 small dogs while our RV was being repaired. What an amazing stay. Everyone was helpful and the service was exceptional. Room was quite large with refrigerator (we needed for our diabetic dog insulin) microwave and all the other touches a traveler needs. The office attendant Jacob was a delight and made us feel like we were important. We had to lengthen our stay because repairs took longer than expected, five days instead of one. Breakfast had so many things to offer from hot to cold. Pool was heated and refreshing. Arron, the hotel manager was so helpful and gave us some special rates due to our unusual circumstances with the RV. We absolutely would stay at this Best Western for the overall wonderful experience. Thank you Arron and Jacob. The Quesada's
This would be the first time coming back since last August. My Mother - in - Law past way. She was the main reason My Wife and I stayed here. The staff welcomed us back like family. Jacob gave my wife his sympathy over the lost. She told me that was sweet that he remembered why we stayed last. The hotel was crowed with visitors for the Coachella Festival. It was nice to see people having fun. The room we got was a suite. It was clean and comfortable. The housekeeper came to our room asking if we need anything more. She said she was busy, but wanted to make sure we were set. I wish I could remember her name. She was angel. If you are looking for a place to stay in Indio, do your self a favor stay at the Best Western In Indio. Very Good People.
Back to our favorite hotel for the horse show! This is the best place in Indio and our favorite place to stay. The staff as always is friendly and courteous, Jacob and Jessica, are an added asset. Housekeeping headed up by Martha is very efficient and always there for you. Breakfast is included and a wide selection is available. This is our go to hotel and we would never even consider anywhere else!!
Used to love this place for its quiet nostalgic feel. But this visit, I couldn't open my balcony door because the neighbors were have a huge pot party. What a stink. And in the parking lot drunk young men were shouting and walking around. Security was non-existent. Plus the price of a room has shot up. I'm not coming back.
This place is a gem in Indio. I stayed here last year for Coachella. It's very well organized and managed. Check in was a breeze, no small feat considering it was wk 1 of Coachella -- make sure you try the dried dates! There's free breakfast which was very welcome nourishment. The rooms were very comfortable, AC worked great, and the pool area was well kept. The GM, Aaron, is so accommodating and wants you to have a great time! You can tell that all the staff care about providing you the best service possible, and they certainly do that!
All employees were very nice and friendly. The hotel was clean but the pool, jacuzzi area it was not so great needs more maintaining. Need to keep clean and water quality it was ok. Could it been better.
it was a great stay, excellent room and service, the view of the pool at was really nice, i loved the Jacuzzi. i really liked the shutters made the room feel airy and cool. Breakfast was great, i loved the dates
The location wasn't great. We had to drive to go anywhere. The pool was excellent! Staff were good. They had DVD players in the rooms and free movies to borrow in the lobby. Good breakfast. We would stay here again.
A large motel with two-story buildings without elevator. We drove passed the office without notice any sigh. Dark colored furnitures make the room less attractive. Breakfast bars are over crowded. Although front desk staff are well prepared for questions about local activities and restaurants and dates in the office are testy, my overall impression is the time to remodel.
Stayed one night in order to visit Anza Borrego early the next morning. Staff at check-in and check-out were super nice and professional, and when we asked for extra blankets and help with the air conditioner, someone was sent promptly. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable; the hotel was quiet and we slept well. The breakfast buffet was diverse, plentiful and better than average. The only complaint would be that the air conditioner was still not ideal - with a first floor room, we did not want to leave the window open (which we had done the prior evening in Desert Hot Springs). It cycled on and was too cold, then cycled off and was too quickly suffocating. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is located on beautifully landscaped property. The room was up to Best Western standards. 2 of the 3 members of the staff appeared to be disinterested therefore I didn't really feel appreciated as a guest. Totally unsecured wifi (no password required) is a bit troublesome.
Going to concert at casino and rooms very expensive. We were 5 minutes aeay and price excellent. We have stayed before and rooms nice, pool and spa nice and hot breakfast really good! Excellent customer service and close to Mercarios our fav Mexican Restaursnt.
This is where AEG/GoldenVoice puts us up when we are working Coachella & recently Desert Trip. It has a pool & hot tub they allow us to use pretty much at any time. No other place ever does this & we all respect this place so it never gets messy. The staff are some of the nicest people I've ever met and treat us so well. I would stay here and recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Cant wait to be back!
When we go to Indio we always stay at the Date Tree. The staff is on top of everything and very professional . The grounds are well kept up. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is exceptional you couldn't ask for any better, well stocked. If you are in Indio and spend the night stay at the Best Western Indio.
We are square dancers, we go to Indio once a year and have stayed here for three years, first year, we got "square dance rate" just like the other 25 folks from Vegas did, second year, they paid $85 a night, we were told, "we have no more rooms at that rate, we paid $135, 2016 this past week, we decided to book before we checked out as the rest of our club said, you have to book a year in advance to get the square dance rate, we checked out, and were told the square dance rate was not available, so, this most recent stay, 32 of the club members paid $260 for three nights, we paid $551! For four nights, This is not the best rate hotel, if you are a square dancer, 32 people from Vegas got the good rate, but we didn't! We will not miss the event, but will find another hotel!
We attended a family event in Indian Wells and needed a room for one night. As you may know, to find a reasonably priced, clean room in this part of the world..... It ain't easy! Don't routinely stay at Best Westerns (usually Hamptons or the like) but we liked the reviews and gave it a try. The desk folks were very busy but took the time to be friendly and professional. This is a 100% non-smoking hotel but that doesn't always mean much. The room was clean, no smoke smell, very comfortable bed and it looked like the room and bath were recent updated. Great shower, medium size fridge in room and very nice breakfast setup in the morning. Great job BW!!
Had a great stay here, thanks to a wonderful staff. We were on our way to a 15 day cruise, but took a detour to visit friends in Indio. We had our cruise suitcases plus our detour suitcases and we didn't want to leave any in our car overnight. Peter, a back room worker, noticed my wife was struggling with her suitcase, jumped in and grabbed the bag and took it up the stairs for her. (I had the other cases but turned down his offer- pride and all) Jacob at the desk was gracious and pleasant, anticipating our questions. Rooms were clean and the neighborhood noise wasn't a problem. The breakfast was well stocked with eggs, Canadian bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, plus four juices, coffee, several varieties of bread, cereal, bananas without black spots, plus waffles and the usual breakfast items. There was ample inside seating, plus outside seating. Both were options because the television wasn't turned on Fox News, unusual for motel breakfast rooms. We were impressed. This motel deserves its ranking, primarily because of folks like Peter.
Stayed here the night before going to the BMW Performance School in nearby Thermal. Clean and comfortable...big bed but on the soft side (killed my neck)...reasonably quiet...loved the waffle machine for breakfast. Staff was helpful and courteous. Good for a stop-over.
I was riding in a 100 mile bicycle event...afterwards very restful, breakfast was good, but some employee kept parking in the Electric vehicle spot. I have an EV so, this was the only annoying park of my stay
Everyone here was extremely friendly. The hotel is in the process of being renovated, but we were not inconvenienced at all. Super breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. Only downside it's near the railroad tracks and every so often you hear the freight trains. Great pool
Wonderful, clean room with comfortable bed. Extremely personable front desk associates, always remembered your name after checking in. Fresh dates at the desk. Nice listing of places in the area for dining and delivery. Pet friendly. Seems like there has been a lot of remodeling since we were there last. They have a nice selection of movies you can take to your room to watch. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a chain hotel/motel. Wide variety and well arranged, with a lot of seating. Will definitely keep this on our list of places to stay when traveling between AZ and WA.
From the tall palms to the cool desert air, this is an oasis to stop at. From check in to check out this hotel is comfortable and a pleasure to be. The 24/7 hot tub and pool, tasty and abundant breakfast, I did not want to leave. I'm not much for the desert, but I will keep this hotel in mind when in the area. A must stay.
This was our second visit to this hotel and again we were so happy to have discovered it. The front desk agent at check-in was the most courteous and friendly I have ever encountered. Our room was big and immaculate -- always a plus. We did not have to squeeze between the furniture to get around. Once again, the hot breakfast was positively fantastic with more choices than anyone could eat in one sitting. This hotel is being renovated, but nothing they are doing disrupted our stay. After dinner we went for a swim in a huge crystal-clear pool and the jacuzzi did wonders after sitting in the car all day. The pool area in so spacious and there are several barbecue grills available to the hotel guests. This would also be a great hotel for a corporate outing or any large family and friends gathering.
We left LA ti drive back to Phoenix but it was clear by 10.30pm that we weren't going to make it that evening. So we turned to Best Western - as you do - and were delighted with the one we found. Yes, it's being refurbished and the smell of paint was terrible, but we were so tired and the bed was so comfy we fell into it, and slept. Breakfast was quite substantial - if you like carbs. Very short on the fruit. But the oatmeal was terrific, the tea/coffee more than passable, ditto the toast machine and my husband's "go-to" breakfast treat - waffles. We would definitely stay here again on route in and out of LA.
This hotel is a gem in the desert. Showing some age, but always being renovated. Clean. Best pool I've ever seen. And the staff are so helpful and friendly. We live in Arizona, but travel to California very frequently. We always like to "break up the trip" in Indio at this Best Western.
The staff were excellent and caring. This show good training and upper management overseeing daily operations. The hotel is undergoing up-grading and handles this well. Does not affect customers We were very satisfied with our selection of this Best Western
This hotel is going through a much need upgrade but our overall experience was great. It's a great value and considering they are in the middle of an upgrade it's worth a try. I'm excited to see what they are going to do with the place. There are not a lot of food choices in the area.
The staff at this hotel are exceptional MY family and I were fortunate enough to get the opportunity to stay here for more than 2 weeks and all the employees treated us with respect and professional. The breakfast was delightful
We were exhausted from an all night delivery drive from Reno, NV to Oxnard, CA. Then continued on toward Phoenix, AZ for yet another job. Made it as far as Indio, CA and had to take a much needed sleep break. Indio was hot (109 degrees), dry, and desolate. We pulled in to the first decent looking motel near Highway 10. We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem......an older facility that has been well maintained and updated. The room was spacious with an extremely comfortable king size bed and great air conditioning. Very clean and comfortable. So despite the hot grey bleakness of Indio, the motel was quite a welcome experience.
Stayed 2 nights so could explore Joshua Tree NP. Enjoyed the pool immensely. Great to be there in summer when few other guests! A nice family freindly environment. Ample supply of DVDs that provide options form limited cable service.
We had a great stay. Even though we arrived kind of late in the evening, the lady was very friendly at checkin. Our room was very nice. We thought it was comfortable and quiet. We really liked all the options for breakfast - nice to have both hot and cold selections. We'd definitely stay there again.
Any stay at a Best Western is a delight. I have stayed in Indio,CA, Mesa, AZ, Las Cruces, NM, Auburn, CA, Alburque, NM and all have been great experiences. Staff is a-one, rooms are clean and comfortable and location is the best for what I had to do. Quiet for sleeping
Excellent hotel, with great amenaties. very central to all of sights in Palm Springs. This is our 2nd stay here, and we will definitely return again. The swimming pool was great. The only complaint was that the hotel was a little way from shopping; but only a few minutes by car.
Good clean room with everything we needed. Elevator which was good because we are too old to easily carry luggage up stairs. Not too far from railroad and associated noise, but we didn't mind. Required a roundabout route to get to hotel, but with Google Maps on the phone no problem at all.
we book 3 rooms for a party of 6 everyone said they would be back.we were their to see a fight at fantasy springs which only 5 minutes from the hotel. we got back to the hotel around 11 pm and went swimming .( pool is open 24 hours) they also have 3 Bar B Q . so when we go back we will be prepare to Bar b q. the breakfast the serve is great.
We will definitely stay here again. The location is between home and destination. Made the reservation by phone from the car and they made it easy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast including fresh cut fruits.
Stayed a couple of days at this hotel the last years. Always good to come back. Love the huge pool, especially cause it is open 24/7. Great hot breakfast. Hotel covenient located 2 all coachella valley cities, I-10, stores.
A notch above the average motel. Rooms were spacious and very clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The platter of locally-grown dates on the reception counter was a nice touch. Especially welcome in the 110-degree heat was the enormous outdoor pool -- big enough to swim real laps. For travelers like us who were just passing through, the location just off the highway was very convenient.
We were staying there when it was 120 degrees...when you check in there are dates to snack on the counter...also movies to watch in the room...but the pool was very popular until midnight....our favorite place to stay in this area. Easy to visit Palm Springs and Shields Date Farm.
Our (very large) family broke down in Indio, CA late at night. We miraculously chugged into the Best Western Date Tree Hotel. When I walked in to the office to see if there was availability, I was greeted by the most kind, attentive, generous and sympathetic employee, Adri. Adri and another employee, who was about to clock out, sprung into action and prepared two adjoining rooms with two extra roll away beds to accommodate our large family. Adri explained all of the fabulous amenities and humongous breakfast...she even offered to help us to our room. I teared up at just how incredible Adri and the hotel staff was in our time of dire need. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The beds were VERY comfortable. The refrigerator was so helpful. The next day when we had to figure out our vehicle situation, our family (with full bellies from the perfectly stocked breakfast) watched free family friendly DVD's offered from the front lobby. The staff was so understanding and generously gave us a late check out while we ended up having to purchase a new vehicle. We are so grateful to come upon this oasis in the desert. We were treated so well by Adri and all of the staff. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. We could not have found a better place to stay.
Back again to our favorite place in the desert!! Always a warm welcome back by the best staff Jacob,Jessica, Martha just to name a few. Great breakfast, good rooms always clean and fresh smelling. Overall a great place and the General Manager Aaron is very personable and accommodating.
We stayed for one night. Check in process was straight forward and the check team was very friendly. Rooms very in good shape and clean. This property has a very nice and big pool area, open 24h with a BBQ. For diner you need to drive, the front desk would offer recommendations though
For the price the hotel was fine, clean and breakfast was great...not a fan of the area though. We did not feel safe as well at the exterior door to parking lot did not have a working lock...so there was not security.
This hotel was just perfect, the house keeping was excellent, the food was excellent, the pool was open 24/7 and was excellent, the free movie rentals was excellent. These attendants named Toni G and Adriana were excellent they are very hard workers.
This hotel is amazing, they offer hot breakfast and the pool is massive. If your visiting Indio or just passing through this is the best place to stay. Plus they have amazing staff, like Toni at the front desk was wonderful and helped us out a lot since we have a huge family. We stayed at the hotel at the beginning and end of our trip when passing through Indio.
Great service and good breakfast Wonderful help from staff member Esmeralda. Pool area was very clean provided as many towels as we needed and BBQ area as well with plenty of seating. Thanks for making it a good trip for us.
Absolutely wonderful and a pleasant surprise. Clean rooms and wonderful amenities including microwave, fridge and plenty of towels and pillows! The employee Jacob was exceptional in making sure accommodations were satisfying. We enjoyed ourselves!
First of all the staff is very nice and friendly. It has been recently remodeled and the rooms are Clean, the pool is huge my kids loved it and last but not least the complementary breakfast it's the Best! We highly recommend this Hotel to anyone! ??
On our way from the west coast to Phoenix we were going to stay in Palm Springs, but decided to go just a little farther east and we were so glad we did. What a wonderful hotel! From the super courteous staff, to the immaculate and spacious room, to the huge pool and spa, we were completely happy with our choice of hotels... and the breakfast the next morning put this hotel over the top! What a beautiful presentation of a tremendous selection of breakfast items... hot eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy (my husband's favorite), waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, pastries, fresh blueberries and sliced strawberries, cereal... just about anything you could think of for breakfast was available. We will definitely stay at this hotel again. Many thanks to their entire staff.
Everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good and the pricing was very fair. Check-in and check-out was great. The staff that I encountered were all very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the A/C worked great.
Check in was a pleasant surprise. Jakob at the reception speaks excellent German and is very kind and helpful. Our room was nice and clean. Breakfast is decent and offers a good variety. The pool is open 24/7 and refreshing after a long day in the desert.
Pretty excited to read so many great reviews about this hotel, planned a 1 night stay on our through Cali with my wife, daughter, mother and sister! Check in was a breeze, the lady who assisted us was extremely friendly and it was done in a flash. She provided great info regarding building layout, breakfast, movie rentals, pool and local restaurants. As we began to take luggage in to our building (building 3), we realized there's no elevator! It's only 1 floor up but for me, recently in a car accident, stairs are painful. My mother being older stairs aren't great either so that was a little frustrating. We stayed in room 345, a 3 bed 2 room family suite! The room was very dark, lighting was horrible! The door to the balcony was literally falling apart, see my attached pictures! Carpet was lifting, paint was missing, broken windows screens, scratches and dings on the TV stands, just not what I've become accustomed to staying at when using Best Western Properties! The beds were very comfy, the bathroom was clean, but overall I was very disappointed in the lack of upkeep this property or at least this room in particular has had! The service would have me try again but this room and in sure others need some serious work!
Well run, pleasant hotel. Rooms were spacious and the site well maintained. I would stay here again. The only item that keeps the rating from 5 is the unlocked buildings. The rooms are all locked by prox cards but the buildings (3each)are not locked. This needs to be changed.
The staff and accommodations are first rate. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. There is a full hot breakfast with many choices included that is of good quality. I will stay here again and would recommend this Hotel to any one staying in the area.
The room was clean and the staff polite and helpful. Comfortable stay. My only reservations were: there was no freezer compartment for my cooler ice packs, there was no tub, only a shower, which is not so great for small kids, and the breakfast room plays news channels, not always appropriate content for my kids. These were all very minor points, which is why it didn't affect my rating. Thank you for a pleasant stay!
Hotel was nice...bit confusing on finding the rooms. Huge pool if you wanted to use it. Breakfast was varied and hot. Good coffee. Appreciated a decent start to the day and not just muffins or stale doughnuts! Thank You!
This hotel was great from start to finish. When you check in, there is refreshing fresh fruit water and yummy dates waiting for you at the front desk. All the staff were really nice and our beds were super comfy. The pool is awesome and huge. It makes you feel like you're at a pricey resort. Breakfast was standard Best Western except that they had fresh sautéed peppers and onions along with yummy green fresh salsa and cheese to go over your eggs. We loved this place and are staying again on our return home!
This place is great. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, breakfast was good a lot of variety its a little gem in the desert. I would recommend this place especially if you are going to the casino...very close.
The best free breakfast we have ever had at any hotel. The room temperature at arrival was very nice (118 degrees outside). Excellent person at front desk. Free movies available to watch. Hotel was very quiet. Wi-fi was very good. We could stream movies from Netflicks. The only negative was that the air conditioner was quite load.
Staff was super welcoming , helped my 3 year old get comfy on his first time away from home. room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was great , lots of options to choose from. Ask for Mrs. Tony if you have kids!!!
A nice and clean hotel. Professional staff and easy check-in & check-out process. Nice pool, which is open 24 hours and they offer towels there as well. The breakfast is awesome with lot of options. Rooms are spacious and at a convenient location.
Clean room and better than other 2 1/2 star hotels, very friendly staff, free WiFi that worked very fast, room had a microwave and little refrigerator, I did not stay for the free breakfast but looked OK, very good value, nothing to complaint
Way to noisy. If you must stay here then try to get on the second floor. Anything by the back doors on the first floor is going to mean you won't get any sleep. People come in and out of the back door constantly throughout the night and it slams shut each time. The noise is loud and you won't be able to sleep through it.
We stay at the date tree on our snow bird trip from our WA state home to our winter home in Tucson AZ. The staff is always very helpful and it's and excellent value. I would recommend this Best Western to anyone.
I take several trips to the desert , whether its for business or family vacations. When making reservations it's allways nice to know when there full, then I can rearrange my travel dates because I enjoy this place very much. i'm flexible but when it's a must on business calls, they allways make sure my request can be reserved, Thank you Best Western in Indio,
stayed here on my business trip for four nights. Like the breakfast here normally you don't see this many items in breakfast in other hotels. even Holiday inn or hampton inn. In short i will use this hotel on every stay i come in this area. Look of he hotel from out side is depressing but like i said don't judge the Book from it covers
After crossing the desert a welcome relief. Pet friendly. Great pool. Nice grounds. Large clean rooms. Have stopped several times over the years. Always surprised it isn't busier. Also a good stop on the way east before hitting the desert.
Each year I go to Coachella I make sure I get a room at this hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and always available in case of an emergency. I was warmly greeted upon arrival and graciously cared for during my stay, as is usual. The breakfast that is included is a life saver on most mornings. Additionally, the pool and jacuzzi are open for 24 hours, so after a long dusty day you can go for a dip and take a load off your sore feet. Truly there is no better option for the price in the whole valley. I'm already looking forward to my stay next year.
Our stay at the Best Western location for the weekend of Coachella could not have been any better. The continental breakfast was a perfect start to our day, from eggs to hash browns and even waffles, we never felt the need to leave the hotel in the morning. 24/7 pool is a godsend when returning from the event to cool down. They even sell hotdogs and hamburgers and other goodies during lunch time by the pool- everything was super affordable and really convenient. The rooms are clean and spacious and accommodated our group perfectly. Would definitely return next year for the music festival or for any other event- truly a great place to stay!
Great location with easy access to many activities. 15 minutes from the Thermal Race Track. Clean and neat lobby, friendly staff, decent breakfast and lots of good parking. Pool and spa is open 24 hours. Also great stay for the music festivals.
This hotel is off the beaten path and is clean and tidy. The location is great for relaxing, gathering with old friends and visiting friends nearby. Our group of retired firefighters were able to visit and enjoy each others company for several days in a relaxing atmosphere. The staff went out of their way to help us out and provide additional tables and chairs around the pool for a great Bar-B-Q. The entire staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us all feel comfortable. The breakfast area was clean with good food (nice area inside and out to enjoy early morning coffee and conversation).
Staff is super friendly, attentive and professional. They do everything possible to ensure a great guest experience. It's clean, the rooms are large and the pool is beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast was tasty and generous. I recommend the Best Western Date Tree for both family vacation and business. Staff and Hotel manager make it happen for their guests.
My husband and I had a tight schedule for a recent trip to Palm Springs for a family wedding. I wanted to visit Joshua Tree National Park in the half-day available after the festivities and needed quick access to the Interstate in the morning. Date Tree was just what I was looking for and turned out to be better than I expected. The room was very comfortable, the fitness room small but adequate, and the breakfast buffet particularly good. The staff is friendly and efficient. When I asked about a dinner restaurant (none visible in the area) the desk clerk whipped out a two page handout with all the area restaurants and directions to find them. A real bonus for us was finding the Shields date market nearby. We enjoyed the best date shake you'll find and sampled varieties of dates never seen in supermarkets. The only difficulty was limiting our choice to what could fit in the cooler.
I highly recommend this hotel. The pool is beautiful and the atmosphere very relaxing. I will definitely stay here again -only next time I will stay longer. Our room was huge and conveniently located close to the pool.
I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We called hoping to reserve the family suite and the man who answered, possibly the manager, offered me two adjoining rooms for the same price as the family suite. it was wonderful! The rooms were clean and spacious. The only problem was that there was no elevator and we did have to carry all of our bags up the stairs. The pool is beyond gorgeous, with grills available poolside, little tiki huts with tables underneath and plenty of chaise lounges. The grounds are also beautifully maintained. Breakfast was a bit of a bust because of a huge extended family staying there. My advice in general would be to go early. There was literally no food left when we arrived. And the breakfast hours are NOT extended on Sunday, so again we were skunked on the food. Another bonus is the complimentary DVD lending library in the lobby, not to mention fresh dates and ice water too.
The hotel looks very nice, with a well kept garden. The servide was warm and friendly at the hotel. The breakfast was nice and surpricingly there were DVD-films to borrow to the rooms. Therefore overalll a good value for money paid.
The only reason I ended up at this hotel is because it was the only room available in the area. I landed at Ontario airport at midnight on a Friday and was planning to get my rental car and find a hotel nearby. As I started driving east toward the desert, I was dismayed to discover that there were no rooms available from the airport through Palm Springs. The Best Western Date Hotel had a room and I jumped at it. The room was large. The hotel is very very clean. The free breakfast was crowded. There was a good selection of food and everything I ate was good. The hotel has a nice swimming pool. This is an older hotel. I felt that it was a good value.
I stayed 3 nights. The room was nice and included a fridge, microwave and dvd player! The continental breakfast was good and much better than expected from Best Western. The breakfast selections changed daily and included a nice variety. The property is not in the most elegant location but is well-maintained and clean. The room was just about up to the standards of this chain. Bed was good. All staff were very helpful. If I visit that area, would stay here again.
I stayed 5 nights, this a very restful stay. The staff is very helpful and efficient. We had a pool barb-q and the help (Jeff) was very accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and cool. I will stay there anytime I am in the area.
I stayed here one night while traveling through to Los Angeles. Very nice hotel. Easy access from I-10 freeway. The breakfast was great. A large variety of hot and cold foods and drinks to choose. My only complaint was the shower was lukewarm at best.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They provide a great recommendation for dinner. Good breakfast. Strong internet connection. Clean room. Great shower, the water was hot and the water pressure was strong. The location is in an industrial section of Indio and we paid $170 with taxes, seemed high for the location.
Loved the easy access to the free WiFi! That was a first on this trip!! The breakfast was great, and the staff was friendly and very helpful! We will return, in fact this was our second stay at this place.
EZ check in EZ on and off the I-10 freeway access Lots of available parking Very clean swimming pool and jacuzzi Hot buffet breakfast Clean room with refrigerator and microwave Free Wi-Fi The perfect location to spend a full day in Anza-Borrego State Park, full day in Joshua Tree National Park, and a full day doing the Palm Springs Ariel Tramway. The first days of Spring are perfect surroundings of wildflowers and flowering abundant various species of plants and cacti :-)
This is a great place. Friendly staff, free dates, awesome grounds. very large pool and very nice room. Breakfast was super duper. All kinds of great things to eat including meat and eggs and all the usual stuff. I would stay here again in a hearbeat. Also many good eating places nearby and they even list them out for you, wonderful.
My wife and I return to the Date Tree every March for the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament. This is our sixth visit. I could not ask for a better place to stay. The room far exceeds expectations. Every morning after a good breakfast we pick up the tennis schedule and off we go. The staff is helpful and great to work with.
This hotel is a great find when you go to Indian Wells Tennis tournament in March. The room has a comfortable king sized bed with refrigerator, breakfast in the morning as well as tennis schedule and free newspaper. The manager Aaron and his staff are courteous and very helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.
We were only here for one night, but the lobby, grounds, hallways, and room were all clean and well-maintained. The pool area looked especially inviting. Our room had a large bathroom, plenty of seating and even an upstairs, outdoor patio. Looks like there are several buildings and lots of rooms. We were located in a middle building, so did not hear the trains as much, but I like the sound of trains anyway. We did not have breakfast at the facility so I cannot comment on that aspect. The front desk staff upon arrival and departure were friendly and efficient. Even the groundskeepers and maintenance staff made an effort to say "Hi." I would feel comfortable recommending this hotel and would return.
Very well maintained hotel. Arrived a quite a bit earlier that the 3:00pm check-in, but they were able to have a room available right away. Décor was updated and room very clean. Free breakfast every morning and not the normal continental style breakfast. You can choose between eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon or sausage, hash browns, make your own waffles. Oatmeal, yogurt, bagels....etc. Good way to start the morning. There are train tracks near the property, and freight trains came by quite frequently, but the noise was bearable by the pool and we could not hear them when in the room. Large pool and outdoor whirlpool open 24 hours. They do have a workout room, but very cramped with equipment. No real conveniences close by (i.e....shopping, restaurants), so a car is a necessity. Overall a very good experience and I would not hesitate to book at this hotel again when in the area.
Very well maintained hotel. Was only going to stay one night but it was so comfortable decided to stay for 4 nights. They accommodated us so we did not have to change rooms. Pool and Breakfast was great. When we come to California will definitely stay there again. Price was very reasonable.
We stayed at this hotel for three nights. Its an older property but pretty well maintained, inside and out. We used the pool area but didn,t swim because the pool was not very warm. We also had to request them to clean the pool and they had it cleaned the day before we left. The room was clean but felt dark, would stay again.
Made a reservation for one night but the wrong night. When we arrived they could not find our reservation. I had made it for the following week. Front desk was able to correct the problem and accommodate us for the write night
We arrived early and were allowed to check in right away. The gentleman at the desk was friendly and warm. There were delicious local dates in the lobby. Lots of free parking and the internet was fast and reliable. The public areas are great: and the DVD library to choose and play in your room is very well stocked.
Because of uncertainty I waited until I was in Indio to book a hotel. After a few unsatisfactory calls I called best western. Toni answered the phone with genuine hospitality and a room. Other families were traveling with us but coming later were having lodging problems that Toni was able to help them out of their lodging situation. Unexpected great room and amazing guest services. The hotel faces the highway but most rooms are in a compound that you would never know the fwy is there. Breakfast starting at 5:30 so we can get into Joshua tree early. After 4 hours in the car it was a treat to end up here. Thank you Toni :)
I have stayed here several times over the past ten years. This was the best stay so far. The management has upgrade the facilities. The room was great. The bed wonderful as in all Best Westerns I've stay at. Breakfast was all and more I could ask for. The Date Tree is well located with easy access off I-10. A multitude of great places to eat out. I don't get a chance to use their pool but the view I had of it - well next time I'll make sure I make the time. Thank you staff for a great stay. See you next year.
in an area where hotels and motels are expensive, this motel is priced for value and quality. Dog friendly. Nice pool and exterior. Good staff. We have stayed here on our travels over the past several years. Once there was a maintenance person whose personal grooming was unpleasant. He is no longer on staff, it seems.
This property is pretty dated, but overall, the management and staff have done a great job of making it comfortable and clean! Large property with three large buildings. Room had microwave and good sized fridge. Bed was very comfortable, 24 hour swimming pool, free DVDs and players in every room. Desk staff was very professional and helpful. Will stay here again when in the area.
It was wonderful to arrive at my destination for the nine total weeks, knowing that everything would be easy and comfortable. Even better there were the little surprises of having my boxes already in the room, the stuff I would ask to have out of the way already gone, and other special touches that are normal for the staff from the housekeepers to the front desk, maintenance and Guest Relations and Managemant. It is wonderful to get a good nights sleep from the beginning. And to know all my various possessions are safe is invaluable.
We stayed overnight with our 2 dogs and had a wonderful nights sleep. The beds were really comfortable and Toni G at the front desk made us feel like guests at her house. Dogs slept well. All had a nice breakfast in the am on the patio. Thank you Best Western! Beth Black
The various people at the front desk were all very friendly and helpful. I really liked the layout of this Best Western; even though it was smaller it still had all of the amenities and comfort of a larger one. Although we didn't use the pool it looked pristine and had a lot of shade and seating around the edge. The room was nice and included a fridge, microwave and dvd player! The continental breakfast, although terribly business, was good and much better than expected. We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
From check-in (engaged, efficient, quick, thorough), to follow-up an hour after check-in ("how is the room?" ... "is there anything you need"?), to sensitivity for an unexpected early check-out, customer service is a clear priority. The property, though not in the most elegant location, is well-maintained, clean, and with a surprising number of amenities. I must give a special "shout-out" to Toni G who was incredibly caring and considerate later in the night when - as a result of a family emergency - we needed to suddenly check-out well in advance of our actual use of the room. I would have been understood and was entirely expected by me that Toni would have shrugged her shoulders with a trite "Sorry, but it's company policy that we can't rebate any of your room payment." However, not only did Toni refund room cost, she also provided a level of sensitivity and caring that carried me to my car and beyond as we got back on the road to return home to deal with our family emergency. Based on Toni's incredible customer servicing along with the friendly and very efficient servicing upon check-in, I have to say that this local Best Western hires and supports quality staff. The result? A very satisfying experience that allows customers to focus on the most important thing: having fun! Thanks again, Toni. And thank you, Best Western/Indio.
The room was just about up to the standards of this chain. Bed was good. Room quiet. Hand towels were a little thin. Not sure if they have an elevator, I took the stairs. Wifi was satisfactory. TV channels were all digital and slow to change. I missed breakfast so I can't comment on that. The pool looked like it was clean with lounge chairs next to it.
The bathroom fan is oddly connected to the light. The fan is not that quiet. The bed is quite comfortable. There is no elevator, but there is only one set of carpeted stairs to go up. The staff will help you with your bags.
Thank you Best Western for all your hospitality and amazing breakfast choices! The entire family, all 20+ of us found something to eat. We also appreciated the follow up visits concerning our room mishap. We stay at Best Western Date Tree in Indio frequently because we are well served when visiting family!
Checking in was very pleasant with Tori but the hotel itself is not that well built. I guess it's tough to compare to a 4 or 5 star but they rate was high for the weekend. 200$ a night! Breakfast was pretty good though.
I was a little dubious when I drove up, as a dozen gravel trucks were parked in the driveway. Obviously, the local contractors treat their workers well, though, as the motel was clean, well-run, had a decent breakfast, and courteous staff. As a bonus, the room I had was nice and quiet. A good place to know about in Indio. 24 hour hot tub, which I did not try, but was glad to know about.
We picked the Best Western Date tree after having stayed there last year for the same car event. We were only staying a couple of days but changed plans and stayed all week. The staff made it very easy to extend our stay. The breakfast selections changed daily and included a nice variety. Having tea, coffee, fresh water, dates and oranges available was appreciated. All staff were helpful and courteous not only to me but to a very elderly woman I observed one evening that was checking in alone.
My husband and I stayed at the hotel in November for my birthday. Tony G. and Adriana checked us in and were VERY helpful. They did an excellent job of making our stay pleasant. We appreciated the refreshments at check in. Breakfast was delicious. Our hotel room was very cozy and comfortable, and we had a restful time. The staff was professional and made every effort to make our stay as calm as possible. Thank you Tony and Adriana. We look forward to many more visits. B&W
Very clean room. Spacious too. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Will stay at property again. I took a large group to the Palm Desert area and we all stayed at Best Western Date Tree. Breakfast buffet was very good and abundant with selections throughout the entire breakfast period.
I recently stayed at the Best Western Date Tree Hotel. The staff was wonderful, clean fresh rooms, wonderful grounds. Beautiful pool. Best breakfast ever even a make your own waffle bar! What a pleasurable stay. Best of all they are dog friendly. Wonderful place to stay I will be back for sure.
The service is maybe the best part of this hotel. There are 3 buildings each with 2 floors and we were in the third building. It is easy to get from one building to the next. Check in was fine and the front desk staff was very nice. This is an old hotel and needs some serious updates to lighting, electrical, etc. The decor is nice but doesn't hide the age of the buildings. The lighting in our room was really bad. The bathroom light also turns on the fan which is very loud and really annoying. The heating/AC system is also one of those old systems that is very loud. The water from the tap tasted really chlorinated. My son didn't seem to notice but I did. The beds are comfortable but the blankets are very thin. More substantial blankets would be a plus. Breakfast was standard fare with the waffles, eggs, etc. - nothing special. The coffee was not so good. On a busy morning the traffic flow in the breakfast area is really bad. The layout makes it hard to get from the serving area to a place to sit and eat and there was not enough seating. Location: Right near train tracks which you can hear at night. Unless you like Mexican food there are no nearby restaurants. We got in late after battling crappy LAX to Indio traffic for 4 hours and really did not want to spend any more time in the car than was necessary so not having a nearby place to grab a bit to eat was a huge disappointment. Never having been to Indio, I have no clue about what part of town we were in. Overall I was not impressed with this part of California. The workout room is very small and somewhat useless. The pool area is nice and the pool is a good size but not as big as expected. The rooms do have good-sized refrigerators and microwaves which is a plus. We had great pizza, pasta and salad delivered from Round Table Pizza. I just don't understand the rave reviews as this was pretty average.
This hotel is okay, room comfortable, toilet was dirty with mold, windows were so dirty we could barely see out of them. That is really not an issue, however it did make the room seem dirty and unwelcoming. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is pretty much on par with complimentary hotel breakfasts which is good in my opinion. I felt safe traveling with my son which is the most important issue for me and would stay here again.
Fingers crossed, as we read previous reviews, and hoped all we read was true.it was! The front desk greeting and check-in at midnight was efficient and inviting. Fresh dates, mints, and lemon water. Information we needed, after a tiring ride in the rain, made checking in a pleasure. Breakfast info and where our Service dog could relieve herself was appreciated. Our room was spacious and clean. Bathroom could have more shelving for toiletries. Heating unit was fairly quiet. Room to room was quiet. Second floor, two way access to psrking lots. Ice and vending on 1st floor.Frig., microwave, coffee maker all adequate. Iron and board in closet. I always bring extra hangers, windex, paper towels, tissue paper to line the clothing drawers after i clean them out. TheTV was good, lots of channels, dvd player, good variety of movies in the lobby. Exercise room off lobby too. Lighting was very ,very good.i cannot stand dark rooms with crappy light fixtures. The lighting and bulb brightness in the room was great, lots of adjustments. The bed was comfortable, extra pllows in closet, with an extra blanket if needed.. Adjustable shower head, comfortable size shower. The desk, two chairs and an upoholstered chair was great for TV watching. Lots of plugs available, wifi reliable. The furniture a little difficult to open drawers. The redue of table tops with granite was a nice update on older furniture to extend its life , i suspect, effective. Fabulous breakfast. Clean, nicely kept grounds. Friendly, earthy employees. Our housekeepers did a fabulous job caring for our requests for our room. The pool looked inviting if it wasn't so darn cold that long weekend we were here. I love trains, so we enjoyed hearing the freight trains pass by in a low tone rumble. Conveient to Fantasy Springs Casino which was lovely, good food too. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again or reccomend this place, unless you're a high ender! Thank you for your genuine hospitality!
We have stayed there 4 or 5 times. Always clean. Exception service from hotel staff and manager. Rooms clean and very quite. Easy to reach. Staff well informed about local restaurants and tourist cites.
This is a very nice hotel. The breakfast was amazing. There were a lot of food choices--yogurts, cereal, fruit, 2 kinds of waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy. The best hotel free breakfast I have ever seen. I loved the bowl of dates at the front desk.
A last minute business decision to have to travel to Indio found me having to book on the fly. I banked on the brand name and overall previous experiences at other out of the way places where BW has been for me. This BW lived up to the brand. I was able to get rest and a good continental breakfast during my 2-night stay. Staff are friendly and helpful to travelers.
We phoned this hotel from the road, after hitting traffic that delayed our trip. They gave us a fair price and when we arrived greeted us with a warm smile. Fresh dates and cool water are on the desk for guests. A wall of DVDs are also available to use in rooms, which are equipped with DVD players. Room was a little frumpy, but comfortable. Some of our fellow guests decided to have an alcohol-fueled dispute in the middle of the night. The staff took care of the matter immediately, and effectively shut down the drama. In the morning, we all enjoyed the ample breakfast buffet, which even featured almond and soy milk options! All in all, a welcome respite from the challenges of highway travel.
Enjoyed a two day stay here as we traveled from Moreno Valley to Indio. The room was very well maintained, has a flat screen TV, the bathroom was very nice and roomy, beds were cozy and warm. The best part was the Free WIFI and Breakfast! The breakfast room was pretty big and there was lots to choose from to eat. Everything from fresh made waffles to biscuits and gravy. They even had soy milk! I would recommend this spot to everyone I know traveling out that way and I look forward to staying there again soon! Thanks for a great time!
This place is off the hook. Our stay was very pleasant. Aaron the manager was awesome, we also interactive with the staff Toni, Krystal, and Adriana the are great. The breakfast is so good all types of different food eggs to fruit salad. My favorite was the biscuits and gravy. They have movies to watch in your rooms. The pool is heated for the cold days in January. I will be back with no hesitation! Great service is what keeps you coming back and that is what you get here at Date Tree Best Western!
Our first stay at a Best Western was so good that instead of shopping around for other hotels, we just decided to stick with Best Western again. The front desk was friendly, accommodating, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good, considering they don't have a real kitchen and chef behind the counter. The kids ate up and were well fed. It didn't get easier than Best Western and I highly recommend this chain.
Stayed here for my friends wedding. Service was amazing and the people so nice and helpful. The room was clean and free wifi was the best! The breakfast was amazing as well. Only downside was i didnt stay longer. Thank you all so much! I would definitely stay here again.
Just a great place to stay at, the rooms were spaciously comfortable and the hotel staff were so helpful and very courteous! I never had to leave the hotel in the morning for breakfast as there is an amazing breakfast from waffles, oatmeal to eggs and biscuits and gravy..I had a great time there and would recommend it to anyone staying in the Coachella Valley
I recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to experience what real hospitality is like and the warm feeling you have as a guest at this Hotel that will keep you coming back. The staff is Incredible, I travel because of my business and for pleasure, and I make this my 1st choice when in Indio. Large clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, and very kind.Thank you Best Western Staff, for the time we spent there, You made it comfortable.
Stayed here for one night. It was nothing special, the staff wasn't very friendly, but the room was clean and the location was perfect. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, so this place was just fine.
Everyone I interacted with was very helpful and accommodating. I will recommend this hotel and will stay again if I am ever in the area. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Internet was free.
There's nothing fancy here, but it works just fine for a traveler passing through or for someone staying a while on a budget. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely sized, with refrigerators and microwave ovens. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is easy to access from I-10 and there are a number of places to eat with a mile or two. The breakfast offering is a nicely expanded continental breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, make-your-own waffles, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, toast, juice, coffee and tea. Overall, quite comfy. There are second floor rooms with no elevator available, but someone will help to schlep the bags if needed. We did hear one train pass nearby but it was not bothersome.
Toni help us check in and she was amazing! I was on crutches and we have a newborn and she helped more than most staff. She helped me unload the care and get me with our dog too. The hotel was nice and clean. I could not have been happier with our stay.
We have stayed here every year for the past 7 years. It is by far our favorite place to stay as a family. The breakfast is out of this world!!!! The staff members are friendly and nice. It is extremely clean and tidy too. Would highly recommend this place to anyone going through the area.
After a 10 hour drive, I rolled in and Toni helped me get situated right away. She was really nice and helpful and accommodated all my requests. I wanted to park my truck in front of my window to keep an eye on some valuables (dirtbikes) and she hooked it up. The rooms were clean, the king size bed was comfortable and they even have a big screen LG tv. Wireless internet worked great too, wasn't slow. Breakfast was amazing, they had waffles, pancakes, cereal... the works! It's the best hotel in Indio, every other place down the street looked ghetto as hell!
We originally chose this location because it was our half way point on the drive, Pets of any size were accepted (small fee), and a full breakfast included. We have had good experiences with best Westerns in the past and were hopeful this would not disappoint. This was one of the best maintained properties I have been on, as well as the cleanliness ranks the highest...not a hair or dust bunny anywhere, no stains on carpeting, no smells. Cons: The bed could have used a topper on it as it was stiff and I could feel the outlines of the springs. We were close to the ice machine and I could hear it dumping the trays throughout the night, but that was the only noise. I would definitely stay here on all my trips through Indio.
Excellent service from all the stuff , special thanks to Toni G from the front desk for all her help since we walked in. The hotel is clean and all the amenities they offer, make our family very happy and comfortable . We definitely recommend it !!!
long story short ,i drove to palm desert to rest and relax.i called around to a few places until i found the right one which was the best western date tree hotel.this place helped me to do just that.not only was the staff awesome it was so peaceful there ,i was able to unwind from a hard week of work.fyi jacob was great he made my stay there memorable.DUDE YOU ROCK!!!!! THANKY YOU SIR FOR TAKING CARE OF MY NEEDS WHILE I WAS THERE.ATTENTION,IF YOU NEED A LITTLE R&R THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.THANKS AGAIN TO JACOB AND ALL THE STAFF AT THE DATE TREE HOTEL.I HAD A PEACEFUL AND RELAXING TIME.GOD BLESS.
This was our second visit to the Date Tree and if anything it was better than the first time. The room was spacious, clean and very well kept. The folks at the front desk were ALWAYS very friendly and accommodating. Toni G was especially helpful and I would be remiss in not thanking her. She answered every question and took the time to make us feel special. We are already booked for next year and would never dream of staying anywhere else when staying in the Indio area.
We stayed here again for our convention and as usual the service and amenities exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was fast and delicious and the rooms were clean and neat and the daily service was prompt and highly efficient. We have already reserved for next year.
This was not our first pick of hotels by any means. But the staff were very accommodating and were able to help us secure a room very last minute (1 week before Coachella Music Festival). The inclusive breakfast was more than we had bargained for, lots of variety and choices to choose from-bagels, yogurt, cereal, waffles to name a few. We were charged 300$ a night, which is reasonable given the circumstances (timing and festival). The hotel was only a few minutes away so not only were we pleasantly surprised with our stay, but we also lucked out on a convenient location.
When we go to Indio the Best Western Date Tree in Indio is the best in the area. Fantastic employees excellent breakfast You can't beat it for the price The location is excellent and everything in the area that you want is close by.
Came to Indio for a square dance festival. Had booked another hotel a little closer to the venue, but that place was HORRIBLE! Smelly, jacuzzi was unheated, just nasty. Came here and was able to book a room for my last too nights with no problem. Mayra was so helpful at the front desk and made us feel welcomed. The hotel and grounds are clean, beautifully maintained, AND the jacuzzi was nice and hot. Will book here again for next year. Oh, and I almost forgot about the yummy dates you can sample at the front desk! Nice touch....
A little ways to drive in from Highway 10. No elevator only stairs to the second floor. Hotel is about 5 minutes from restaurants and stores. If in Indio again, we would stay. Good price with Triple A discount.
This pleasant hotel is a nice place to stay. The rooms are comfortable, the Wifi works ell, the beds are fine and the breakfast as good as can be expected. Nothing special, but very adequate. We would have preferred a ground level room, but did not ask. Our room had a refrigerator with no freezer compartment and that was inconvenient.
For the price, great hotel. The front desk staff, Toni G, was awesome from the moment we arrived until we left, her service and humor was awesome. Apart from the early morning train that rumbled past like a scene from My Cousin Vinny, this was a great place to stay. Only downside, no restaurants were walkable, so you need a car.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Date Palm while traveling through on business. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and accommodating above and beyond. I can truly say that I haven't had customer service like that in quite some time. The hotel and room were beautiful, clean, and well-kept. The bed and pillows were super comfy. I feel like this was more bang for the buck. I will definitely be staying here again when passing through.
Last room on a very busy weekend Easy to book(by iPhone on the road). Night clerk Toni was wonderful and gracious in making sure that I would have a good night's sleep. The accomodations were clean, well stocked, and with excellent amenities. The bed was perfect and had a full and very satisfying night's sleep. Would stay there anytime. Had stayed at the Venetian in Vegas just prior to this stay, for comparison.
The Best Western Date Tree Hotel is a great place to stay, relax and enjoy. The large up-dated rooms are comfortable, attractive and very clean. The grounds are spacious and beautiful with an abudance of beautiful trees and grassy areas. The swimming pool is very large and well-maintained. The proberty is reminiscent of a stylish and well-established 60's era motel. I was delighted that it was still a successful and well-maintained business.
The staff at this hotel were friendly and welcoming. The fitness room had several pieces of equipment. The internet was reliable. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were HUGE and lovely (and open 24 hours)! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wish it had been for more than overnight!
On our arrival we were made to feel very welcome. Staff are very friendly. Nice touch with free film DVDS to borrow from reception. Room was basic but spacious. Loved the big outdoor swimming pool. Price of stay included breakfast which was nothing special but very adequate for us. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip to the USA this was the cheapest and best value. Would definitely stay again.
I stayed 1 night at this hotel. The lady at the Front Desk was extremely friendly, polite. I had a double queens room. Room, bedding was clean, bed was very comfy. Bathroom with a shower nice, clean, not too spacious, but for taking a shower - perfect. Towels were clean, looked new. The complimentary breakfast was a real feast. I got back from the nearby casino ( went to see Deep Purple ) around 6.30 AM, breakfast was ready. The cheese omelet was amazing, yogurt, juices etc, great food selection. At the lobby they have dvd-s available - great movie selection by the way - you can pick any of them for free and watch it in your room. There's a dvd player in every room. It's a nice plus to feel like home. I really liked the fresh dates at the Front Desk, also they have a container there with icy water with lemon. Very nice to welcome the guests with these.
Traveling with my 88 year old father_in_law, these ladies were so sweet and accommodating. They made, sure we had adjoining room so that we could be close in case he needed us. The gave us water, rather then track, at 10:00 at night to the vending g machine. They even made sure he,was comfortable. Such great girls! Thank you Toni G. And Myra! Worth a try if you're traveling through Indio. Easy to find, super clean and very comfortable! Definitely coming back!!!!,
Our second time to stay at Best Western Tree Hotel in Indio, Ca. It feels like home as we are comfortable here even in the dessert. One outstanding custom in this hotel is their bowl of dates that welcomes each guest in the check-in counter and the cool fruit flavored water too.
This place is good enough for most, if the price is right. I see it going for $100 a night and that is not a good deal. We got it for much less and it was just adequate. Location is not good. Neighborhood is not friendly. Railroad ran all night and its very close to the three motel buildings. Busy street is also very close. Is a long way from the rest of the valley, so without a hefty discount, you might as well stay in Palm Desert or the other more desirable areas. No incentive to stop way out there in Indio. Room was renovated, but still a little raw. Air conditioner was quiet, that seems to be getting harder to find, but it blew directly on the bed. I had to place the fabric lounge chair directly in front of it to block the breeze, even on low cool. Hot breakfast is better than most motels, but about average for Best Western.
The Hotel was very clean, very well maintained, and very accommodating. Seeing that we had valuables exposed in the back of our truck at check in, they offered to let us park it up front near the lobby so that they could keep an eye on it over night. They even arranged for us to have a room near the lobby so we wouldn't have to walk far to get to our vehicle.
Great hotel stay. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Our room was clean & spacious. Comfy bed. Had Breakfast on both days and food was excellent. Really loved the Omelette with peppers. Yum! Also used the Hot Tub and it was very relaxing.
This trip was to meet newest members of the family. Being at Best Western made this visit relaxing. Family get togethers can be very hectic, but to come back "home" and relax either in the room or by the pool, is always refreshing. The rooms are like soundproof, so noise is never an issue. Thank you
The hotel is clean and adequate for the cost. It is an older facility with large rooms. Friendly staff and breakfast is ok but not very appetizing. In order to get a King-sized bed I needed to upgrade to a suite. The suite was large but unimpressive - not worth the additional charge.
We arrived here with no prior arrangements having been made, we were glad to see that there was still rooms available. Adri was working at the front desk she is helpful, polite and very joyful. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again if I'm ever back in the area !! Sirene
The rooms are very nice and the staff is very accommodating. Free movies (DVD's), wi-fi (no log-in needed, which is a plus), and breakfast. I also loved that the pool and spa are 24 hrs. I would have given a 5 star, but this is definitely a trucker hotel, and with four of us girls traveling together, it was intimidating.
My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Date Tree in Indio, September 28 to the 30th and I must say we feel like we found a little hidden gem in Indio! It was a last minute decision to get out of town and we weren't looking to leave the property very much while there, this was more of a couples getaway. When we checked in, my wife Brandy was greeted by the sweetest front desk people and when she came out, told me that they made her feel so welcomed and comfortable. They even gave her extra towels for the pool and told us that it was opened 24 hours a day. Love that! Most hotel pools close at ten and I don't know about you, but my wife and I are night owls and there's nothing more relaxing then a midnight swim under the beautiful, desert sky. Which is exactly what we got at the Date Tree. Oh did I mention we were traveling with our little corgi and he was also welcomed like a little guest of the hotel and we felt very comfortable the entire stay. The room they gave us was room 208 and it looked to be very recently updated, with comfortable beds ( I have a bad back so a good bed is essential and I slept like a baby). It felt extremely clean and safe. There was a mini fridge, a microwave and a flat screen. They even have a wall of DVDs you can can take back to your room. We couldn't sleep so we kept watching movies and trading them in all night. Sure the movies are a bit older, but it's nice to have the option and not have to leave the property. Their continental breakfast is the best I've had, and we usually stay at larger hotels when we visit the desert so we were pleasantly shocked at the spread. It included waffles, eggs, bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice and delicious coffee! Seriously, we were shocked and very happy. The staff was friendly from beginning to end and the location is on the quiet side of town. Sure there's a train near by, but we were in building two and never heard any outside noise when in the room. The pool being open all night long is a huge bonus! You can sneak out there when no ones there and have the entire pool to yourself. They allow doggies and it's crazy affordable. Plus they feed you?! What's not to love? It's our go to place to stay from now on for the fair, Coachella and family. A big thank you to Aaron, the manager who made sure our stay was perfect! Oh and the best free wifi I've ever had at a hotel! Seriously, easy to log in and great speed! Again, another great surprise from this little hotel.
I stayed at this hotel in September 2015. It was very, very hot. The hotel staff was very friendly, the room clean and efficient and the check out smooth. It's a great value in this area and I highly recommend it to business travelers.
Everything was excellent! I will definitely return if I am ever in the area again. Beds were very comfortable and it was a quiet place to rest. Staff were AWESOME! What more could you ask for! WIFI worked very well and movies were available free of charge to watch if you wanted.
We were driving through on our was to Six Flags. Toni was very helpful and the rest of the staff was nice. We liked the breakfast. Plenty of different items to choose from. I like the biscuts and gravy. Beds were comfy and the room was clean. No complaints.
At September 18th we spend a night at the hotel. TONI G welcomed us with a big smile and a very warm welcome. She treat us like there no one else in the world but us. She gave us all the attention needed and answered all of our questions ( and we had a few..) in patient. The room was big and clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was great, tasty with plenty of options to pick of. The have a wall of DVDs movies that you can pick on to watch in the room. It's a short drive to the southern entrance to Joshua tree national park. We highly recommend this fantastic place. We love you Toni G! Waiting for you in Israel.. Or & Noam
