SureStay Plus by Best Western Lubbock Medical Center

At checkin I was provided two comp tickets for the on-site lounge. The lounge was very empty, but our bartender was sweet and swift in her pouring. The room was clean, nice smelling and provide the appropriate amount of amenties. The room was very quiet. While it was winter, I was impressed with the design of the swimming pools. It contains two waterfalls, and three divided pools. Breakfast included sausage, waffles, eggs as well as regular cold food. Best Western provided a superior service for the money and was a great value.

Very rude and unfriendly staff. Beds were very uncomfortable and pretty sure the beds have bed bugs. I can't stop it hing since I left there. The walls and doors are very thin. All we could here all morning long was doors slamming. When we went down to eat breakfast, they closed it early. No one acknowledged. When we were packing up to leave, room service came in 4 times, even though she knew we were still in there. Worst stay ever! I felt very unwelcome and like to inconvenience to everyone that worked there.

Very well kept hotel, and absolutely lovely staff. I was out of my house for a week due to a water heater issue, and the staff was nothing but cordial. Shoutout to Mr. Patel, who remembered me by name and made sure to make sure that I was accommodated. While some of the amenities where a bit outdated, the level of care and cleanliness that I received during my stay exceeded my expectations. For the price, and location, this is your best bet for a safe, clean and reliable hotel in the area. I could not recommend this hotel more. Thank you again to the staff for making my stay so pleasant!

Always choose this place when I need to get my child from school. It's right down the road from Texas Tech. Alway clean and friendly. Not as expensive as the bigger hotels either. Breakfast is great and so is the internet.

Front desk staff accused me of not being a registered guest . That front desk person check me in and that front desk person watched me use my key card to enter a fitness facility. Talked to the manager and they really didn't care. Use another Best Western in Lubbock or Post

Stayed here quite a bit. Biggest issue is inconsistency of amenities. This time the lounge was closed. That was my reason for staying here. Breakfast was decent this time. Last time (summer 2022) everything was cold.

For a quick one-night stop while driving on the road. It was very comfortable. The Breakfast was normal. I was able to get a good night sleep and hit the road again. It was quiet and i felt secure in the room.

Motel little hard to get into if you do not know the area. Rooms was big and comfortable. Motel was very clean inside and out side. Could not hear any road noise. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and kind.

Thus was our first experience staying at a Sure Stay. The building architecture looks more like an office building than a hotel. The room was big & clean & the pool area was good. The only staff we saw was at the front desk when we checked in & she was rude.

The room was big and it had a kitchenette. The staff was very curtious. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I am in the area. The location is also good. It was definitely worth the money .

Extremely disappointed. Rooms smelled of stale cigarette smoke, broken floor tiles through out, horrible pool don't let the online pictures fool you. I had booked 3 rooms for 2 night and 2 rooms for 1 night. I decided to forfeit my money on the nights i couldn't cancel which were 3 and left and got rooms at the Hawthorn, for $50 less per room

Hote piced Motel ,I brought my family down for my daughter's graduation for Texas Tech very embarrassed. The staff was nice ,the conditions were terrible. I brought my mom,wife,and daughter it definitely wasn't a place for women,and the pricing was ridiculous. Bestwestern never makes things right experiences keep getting worse.

Seems a little sketchy from the outside. It looks like it's going through some updates, but definitely needs more. The room I had was updated, bathtub could use some work. Hallways are hit or miss on creepiness. Pool and gym were under construction. Elevator was very sketchy!

Know that the heater and the frodge did not work and instead of switching rooms was told that nothing they could do. When I checked out in the morning no apologies and I had to tell him about what happened was given 10.00 discount. Never again

A "basic" hotel, not fancy but a perfectly good property. A convenient location - "mid-town" , adjacent to Covenant Hospital and the TxTech campus, right at the Marsha Sharpe Fwy near the loop. Our stay was an extended stay (my mother was dying) and the hotel management worked with us to extend as we needed. Something to be aware of, even though the rooms have a kitchenette (range, refrigerator and microwave} it was "unfurnished" - no pans, plates glasses flatwear.

The room was nice. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast for a Sure Stay Plus was lacking. More like what a standard Sure Stay would have. It was decent. Lots of parking. Right off the highway.

Arrived at the car port and looked like they were remodeling. The person at the front desk never informed us of the remodeling or painting of the outside of the building, they had plastic covering the outside of windows. When walking in the housekeepers were arguing across the hall from our room, the cleaning cart was left in the middle of the hallway so had a hard time getting around that. Walked into the room and hit with a smell of cigarette smoke and musty odor. Checked the bed and the sheets were wet checked the towels and they were damp. Above the air conditioner looked to be water damage that had been painted over and peeling. We decided to leave the room and as we were walking out noticed 2 bugs coming from the room where the housekeepers were cleaning across the hall from the room we were supposed to stay in. With this whole experience we decided not to stay at this place. The person at front desk told us that the manager was the only one allowed to give out refunds and he his out of town. No one else in the building can.

First of all, the picture on the website did not look like the room I where I stayed. It smelled dirty and the tables were not clean! When I went into the restroom, I could see where the walls of the shower had been attempted to be cleaned, but looked more like smeared with possibly a dirty rag? Needless to say, no shower for me. This room cost me $140.00. Next time, I will dish out more dollars for a reputable hotel.

There were numerous issues with this property. Primarily the cleanliness was nowhere near satisfactory. There was an unpleasant odor in the entire hotel. My bed sheets had a blood stain and the room itself was not as clean as it should've been. Finally, the breakfast is literally inedible. I've had numerous hotel breakfasts and this one was clearly the worst of the worst. The eggs were like little yellow gravel. The potatoes were partially frozen. The sausage was nearly unidentifiable, light gray and cold.

We recently traveled to a nearby town to attend a college graduation. We chose this hotel based on its proximity to the university and only booked a hotel so that we wouldn't have to be up and driving at 6 am. Best Western seemed like a good choice for a place we would be at for much other than sleeping. After checking in, we went to get dinner and then entered the hotel through the side door closest to our room. We were immediately greeted by the smell of sewer line. Upon entering our room, we noticed dirty walls and mirrors. The bathroom doorknob was falling off and had to have the screws tightened to be usable. I did that as best I could by hand. One of the hand towels had what I hope was a head hair on it. The bedding had stains on the sheets and comforter. They appeared old, which is slightly better. In the morning, we went to breakfast. The scrambled eggs looked like the hadn't been cooked long enough and the sausage biscuits as a disturbing shade of gray. The coffee came out a light tan color and, along with the juice, was basically colored water. If I thought there was any chance of getting a different hotel room on graduation weekend for a major university, we would have left. As it was, we will just be sure to book with a higher quality hotel in the future.

Stayed here for an emergency trip to Lubbock for a family member admitted to the hospital after a Dr. visit/check-up. The room had seen better days and could have used better cleaning/wiping down of the desk chair. The room was large, the bed comfortable, the bath towels were a bit thin and ragged. The bar upstairs was most appreciated. The 3 tier pool looked pretty awesome. If I were to return with grandkids in tow - would probably stay here again just because of the pool. Otherwise, I will probably try for someplace more updated or newer. P.S. The bartender was very friendly!!!

This is a large old building clearly in need of repair. Room wasn't very clean and there was a dead roach on the floor. Breakfast was not great but they did have yogurt and a waffle maker. The desk attendant was pleasant and they offer drink vouchers for the bar, which is nice.

Poor standards! The receptionist and bar tender just couldn't be bothered. Breakfast was lacking - no bagels, no English muffins, no bacon…. Cleaning standards poor. I would recommend that the team here picks up their game, considerably.

friendly staff during check-in and check-out; decent hot breakfast (Belgian waffles, eggs, sausages, home fries, biscuits & gravy) + continental options; good wifi/internet; spacious room. the pool wasn't open during our stay but it looks fun!

Most likely the worst breakfast experience I've had at a Best Western/ SureStay in the last year. I went at 6:50 and the only thing available was 1 scoop of eggs and a sausage patty. Everything else was empty. I assumed more was being made so I just waited. The employee working was at the FD with a Bluetooth piece in his ear having a full blown conversation for over 20 mins before coming over to see everything was empty. I went back to my room to pack my things and decided to come back. When I came back the food was full, however the eggs were completely watery, entirely inedible. I decided to try the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was fun but the biscuits were basically cold and raw. They weren't cooked in an oven or microwave, they were seemingly just put into the warming try directly from the package. The juice machine is also very watered down, not sure if concentrate was running out or if this was on purpose. Terrible experience. There was not level of guest satisfaction or care put into the food or service. 2nd time staying here and I love the rooms, location and staff but this was not acceptable.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY FEELS LIKE HOME! would recommend this hotel to anyone! The price was fantastic and a great location! We were really please with the cleaning crew, the front desk folks and the clean breakfast area if I had a criticism I would say the eggs were to runny, and there was not a good choice on the breakfast meats, could use some bacon too!

A very Nicely updated older hotel Quiet rooms in a Good central location. The room was clean and so were the common areas. Excellent service. Very Friendly and accommodating staff. I would stay again.

Good location. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast scrambled eggs were good but slow to replenish. Juice machine was out of juice both days. Overall, good experience and cheaper pet fee than most places.

I had an awesome stay. Easy walk to several hospitals, free breakfast, unlimited free coffee 24/7, easy walk to several restaurants, including Schlottzkey's and CVS…. They were all very accommodating and had the best hospitality!

Basic hotel. I have stayed at 2 star hotels without any issues. This property is very close to campus and it's right off the freeway. A 2- star rating should only tell you that the amenities they dont offer (spa etc). This 2-star rating is a representation of the actual hotel itself. The room had potential to be great but the tub was dirty, there were residue from bugs that were killed and my child kept finding blond hair in the towels (her hair is black.

Very unfriendly staff & when I complained at checkout, no apology was given. I do not like a hotel scanning my drivers licence - I am fine with showing it to them but scanning no. That is a great way to become an identity theft victim. The internet is bad, the connection kept dropping both nights that we were there. The bedroom area has cheap laminate flooring, which we do not find comfortable,

Very clean and convenient hotel. Close to medical center and Texas Tech campus. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very limited breakfast but this may be due to Covid. Had good internet service. Parking was close to the room.

Clean spacious comfortable room, good facilities. Has an extra wet bar in my room (don't know if this is the case in every room) which was convenient. Creatively designed pool. Fitness center can have some improvement. Good breakfast area but cut back due to C-19.

I use my time in Lubbock for business and pleasure! My daughter attends Texas Tech University so I spend most of my time with her! One night costs 148.00 while the next night was 80.00 ( which seemed more reasonable ) due to the construction going on! I enjoyed the staff and slept well but I was not impressed with breakfast AT ALL! Seems pricy at 148.00 per night! Might look else where for that price! The $80.00 was more fitting for this hotel!

The first impression of the exterior of the hotel was not good. It looks run down, and there were cars parked in the back that looked like they had been there for a while. The lobby was in much better shape, but what really bothered me was that the surfaces in the room were visibly dirty. The elevator was stinky, and the whole place just had a shady vibe. The only thing that made me feel better about staying the night was that there were a number of security cameras throughout the property. Otherwise, I would have been super paranoid about leaving my truck in the back parking lot.

I have used this hotel the last 4 times into Lubbock. There are closer ones to the job site but not as comfortable, friendly, helpful, lounge on site. Closeness to local convenience stores. I'll always use this SureStay! Thank you.

When you pull up to the property you feel like there's been a mistake of address or something. I know the neighborhood around the hotel isn't the best but the property is in need of a major exterior face-lift. It's very run down and just not up to the standards of the Best Western we're accustomed to. Felt very uncomfortable about the safety of our vehicles. There's signs everywhere reminding us that the hotel isn't responsible for theft, vandalism, damages, ect.. making you feel like it must happen frequently. I recommend investing in a security fence around the grounds to make guests feel safer. Everything else about the stay was pretty average.

We stopped over late at night just to get a night's sleep after a 17 hour drive. The front desk lady was pleasant and efficient. The floor of the room, however, felt moist and a little sticky. Since we were leaving early the next morning to continue our journey, we did not mind too much since the bed felt clean. The water in the bathroom was cloudy and slow to drain.

I stayed here this past weekend due to the fact most of the hotels in town were booked solid, due to various athletic events in Lubbock. Overall, the price was high, but this was reflective of the trend all over Lubbok that weekend ; and well it was a weekend. As I said, I needed a room and was between a rock and a hard place. Staff was pleasant, room had no drinking cups in either room (bathroom and bed area) and it was " room" under the circumstances. On Saturday, a whole gaggle of "Little League kids" checked in and the noise from the second floor for several hours was bad secondary to running around in the hallways. I would guess it was kids and not sure if it was the little league kids or not. Breakfast area is limited and not great. I would not stay here again because it is older and it appears that it is worn out from it's days as a former Best Western property from from days gone by. I would not stay here again, but as I said was desperate due to the demand for rooms in the area that weekend.

I called the hotel before heading to Lubbock from Odessa Texas due to an emergency. I was told by a woman name Sasha that it would be easier for me to make a reservation in person as she did not want to take my reservation over the phone or my credit card information. I had a man with no mask attempt to assist me and was told that the rate that she gave me was not accurate. So I drove two hours and have no room because this hotel decided to lie to me. My family is going through an emergency and they toyed with emotional health and left me out in the street. I'll be calling BBB first thing tomorrow.

It was obvious from the start that this place has been under renovation. It still has a way to go before we'd ever stay there again. Ever hear of putting lipstick on a pig?? I will say what they have done is nice, but the places they still need to work on are GROSS, like the pool area. There was a rainstorm in Lubbock that night, we were on top floor, and our bathroom fan dripped water all over everything all night long!! Keep working! Someday it may actually be a nice place!!

We were traveling with pets and called to see if they were pet friendly and they claimed that they were. When we arrived and went to check in to our room they didn't know how to accept a gift card and had to put a hold on my debit card and took until morning to figure out how to use a gift card and was told that the funds would immediately be returned to my account. The next morning I went to check out and have them use the gift card to return the hold back to my bank account. Once I got to the front desk and was changing back to the gift card he told me that I had not payed the pet deposit which I had. Also, during the night my dog had an accident and we had to use the towels to clean up the mess and at checkout was told that the mess had stained the towels and that I would be charged a fee. They were extremely rude and had little respect for their customers.

I have stayed here for more than 3 weeks the staff were very polite and helpful. Had a good time staying here. The breakfast and coffee was server on time. They addressed my every concern and very friendly staff.

Front desk guy did not have on a mask! Did not say anything about me being a member or that there was NO breakfast, not even brown bag or coffee. Hotel was dirty, the bar was loud, the bed was hard, the chair had two different cushions, and the room was old and dirty. Dust everywhere. Not Best Western Hotel quality. I used all of my points here and even bought some. Very Disappointed!!!

Floor very dirty. Someone's hair on the toilet paper, the toilet and the towels. Sheets never changed. Nothing wiped off or down. Elevator inop. The entire place is trashy. Do not stay here. RUN!!!!!!

I was very un-impressed with this location!! There were several issues wrong in my room and they were never fixed!! Management was never there, and I had to keep following up with them because they never reached out to me. I was planning on staying there for a week for business, but with all the unattended issues I decided to check out early!

So if you bring your dog know that you need to go elsewhere to take them for a "take care of business" walk. Nothing convenient or safe at night walking distance that we saw. My wife & I have never had anything like this happen. after staying at hundreds of hotels over our lifetime.. we are in our 60's and lets just say that money is not a major issue in our lives. But today we were charged $25 for "taking a brown blanket." 1st of all the blankets were white, but there was a dark colored bed cover we tossed on a chair so it didn't fall on the ground, maybe it fell in back but they couldn't be bothered to look? We told whoever called that we simply would never do anything like that, she ignored our response and charged us anyway. So now I have to spend part of the vacation I've needed for 6 months dealing with this. Regarding the cleanliness issues. The floor was filthy, course didn't really pay too much attention at first, but when I got out of bed at some point I saw the bottom part of the sheet was covered in junk. Then when I checked the floor that gave me confirmation. The bathroom sink drain was so clogged it took forever to drain, so after shaving I had to spend a couple of minutes trying to wash the bowl clean. We could also see that the mirror had not been cleaned when a large hand written message appeared from the prior occupants after running a hot shower. So that means it wasn't even wiped down. Not good in day and age of covid - I also didn't appreciate the check in clerk being unmasked. I'm not really a picky person but I'd never stay there again.

The room appeared to be clean when we got there. After walking around barefoot for awhile my feet became black on the bottom. The floor was filthy. We didn't notice this until we were going to bed. I had to clean my feet before going to bed. We were too tired to complain. The next morning when I took a shower there was a glob if someone else's hair in the curtain. We checked out a day early. The woman behind the desk just kept saying that if we had called to complain we would have gotten a different room. Even after I told her that we were just too tired to call. They also circled on a sheet a paper saying that the hot continental breakfast would be served in the morning with the times. We go down and it was just muffins, fruit, cereal & yogurt. We were not informed that it would be a cold breakfast. We will never stay there again.

My stay was pleasant no problem or issues the staff is very helpful asked all my questions and quick check out. The pool is well kept the internet is fast the bed was really comfortable slept like a baby.

We didn't have any problems during our stay. The hotel is very clean. Our room was clean and everything was in order. I did have a chance to talk with management and they were very friendly and helpful. It is close to the road but it was very quite. The pool is very cool and unique.

This is probably the best hotel we have stayed near by Texas Tech.The property looks good shape, and the first impression on arrival was excellent, with a spacious, super-clean lobby area and a warm, friendly welcome at reception. Our room was amazing, with lots of space to relax and everything very clean and just what we needed after a long trip. We can't use pool due to covid pandemic.

We stayed here on the way to Austin. The place is super clean. In our haste the next morning, we forgot the laptop. Received a call from the manager saying they have a laptop and where to send it. Fantastic!!!!

I would definitely stay here again. Customer service was wonderful. Breakfast was good. Friendly and caring staff. Any time I needed something staff was always helpful. Coffee 24/7. Laundry on site...

Good spot to base from for several days of work. Food close by and hotel was clean. I use best western often and usually get good results. Room was fine and. Staff nice, breakfast was fine with variety. Would use this site again for sure

This is not a top of the line luxury hotel, but it is clean and I have always felt safe staying here alone when I come to the Texas Tech campus for business. Internet is reliable and rooms are clean. Only complaint would be the noise from side entry doors can be excessive if you have a proximal room.

This hotel was clearly older but they have updated the main areas. The rooms smelled and obviously needed a deep sanitizing. Hopefully I will never have to stay here again. They offer a continental breakfast but you have to sit in the lobby to eat it and the staff made sure to go out of their way to tell me that I was not allowed to go back to my room with my food. The staff that I encounter was not very approachable or polite.

I do an extensive amount of business traveling and my hotel experience is important. When front desk personnel are poorly trained it reflects on the entire hotel. I've never had this experience with this hotel. I look forward to staying there again.

Room was old and needed updating. Floor was dirty (no Carpet in the room) After taking a shower, the bathroom smelled like urine and mold. The rest of the room was ok. The bedding was clean and the beds were comfortable.

This is a great hotel that is close to the hospital and restaurants. Hard to get in and out of off of 19th street because traffic flies down that road. The staff was great, did not eat beak fast so can't comment on that. Rooms were clean but old and need updated. My only complaint was it was hard to get in and out of.

The Manager of the onsite Pub accused me of doing something that he was shown that I was innocent of. Said Manager has No people skills and should be fired. To mistreat a guest despite being shown evidence that the guest was innocent of what the accusation was is inexcusable.

I typically stay at the Best Western Plus Tech Medical Center just a few minutes from this location and I have always had wonderful experiences. Based on my recurring stays with BW, I was given a free night voucher as a reward. When I went to make the reservation, there were "no rooms that are held for free night stays" available at my preferred location; therefore, I was told this location was my only choice. So, I made my reservation using a free night voucher for earned points and a paid night as well. After only one night of my stay, around mid-day, I was contacted by phone indicating that I would begin to receive charges starting at a certain time since I did not check out by 11:00am. I explained that I had a 2 night reservation and had to hold for the staff to look up my information. They returned to the call and affirmed that I was in fact scheduled for both nights and said that they would re-check me in. Although the staff was pleasant, they did not even apologize for the inconvenience. Once I returned to the hotel, my key card no longer worked and I couldn't get into my room. There was no staff available at the desk to help and we had to wait for someone to make their way back to the desk. Rather than apologizing for the error and stating that they should have notified us that we would need to reactivate our cards (which should never have been deactivated), the staff said it was how the reservation was made that led to them locking us out and threatening additional charges, basically blaming the reservation service or us as the guest for using a free night. I understand that errors occur, but own up to the error and at least apologize to the guest for the inconvenience instead of making excuses or acting like it was no big deal. This incident paired with sub-optimal conditions made our stay less than desirable. Room and hallways smelled of mildew. Accommodations are very dated, a used washcloth was found hanging from the shower curtain, hallways smelled of cigarettes, etc. The room looked somewhat clean, but the floors obviously have not been mopped adequately, hairs found on some of the linens, shower walls had thick soap scum built up, and other walls inside the room were stained with questionable brownish colored splatter. Very seedy/shady hotel and I would certainly not be on the premises alone. We will certainly never stay at this property again, even with a free night stay.

Hotel is right by Texas Tech and is a great price! Only complaint is the sink was dirty and they were working on a fire alarm in the hall and it scared my mom pretty bad. But really it was an overall great experience

Staff is friendly and courteous always willing to help but quality of the room not as great blood stains on blankets pillow pet stains toilet had hair sync add toothpaste stains and mirror hat toothpaste stains

Everyone was nice, breakfast lady was very kind and caring. Spoke to us every morning. Front desk asked everyday if we needed anything. Housekeeping did good while we was there. Would recommend. Just not much to do around Lubbock

This was my first stay at a SureStay Plus and the accommodations were excellent. This may have been the first time With no complaints what so ever! The wait staff was beyond friendly and helpful. I've stayed at other hotels and paid twice as much and didn't get the service I did here.

Friend and I stayed there for a football game at Texas Tech. It is located conveniently to bars and restaurants and the University. The staff is very friendly. The rooms were clean. They have a breakfast and a bar and lounge. We would stay there again.

Awful place moved out. 1st room smelled of smoke and was hard to close. Moved room. Smell was better but stained towel sealed the deal to leave. 1st room had smoke detector covered in plastic so it wouldnt go off. Place felt seedy and damp. Needs new a/c or something.

My bathroom and guest laundry room were both filthy. When I explained this to staff, I was given supplies to clean up myself. Absolutely unacceptable. Besides that, the staff was friendly and accommodating.

I booked two rooms for two nights at this hotel. We stayed prior to Family member's surgery. We awoke the next morning at 4AM for surgery then returned that afternoon to rest. When we went to our hotel room we found a gaping hole in the wall where our air conditioners once had been. When I asked for a new room my request was denied. Another family member made a more aggressive request and rooms were reluctantly provided.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The lobby & rooms were all decorated very nice and the room was very clean. All staff were very nice as well. I would definitely stay here again. The building itself looked like it could be kind of old, but apparently the inside has been renovated at some point because the lobby was very nice and some of the rooms had nice hardwood floors. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Just moving to Lubbock and I stayed at SureStay in Lubbock for 6 nights. I booked a single King and was traveling with my little dog. The front desk staff was delightful. From the time I checked in until check out I had the best stay! Well appointed room, very clean, beautiful pool - even had a mobility impaired chair for the pool! It was lovely. I didn't go to the bar but I'm sure it was nice. The towels were generous sized and there were plenty. The bathroom was well lit. The linens were clean and crisp and the white comforter was nice. There were both soft and firm pillows so I had a choice. Housekeeping staff were very nice. My only complaint was breakfast. The only real juice was apple. The other juices were “juice cocktail”. I don't drink coffee and there was only black Lipton tea to choose from. No herbal. The make your own waffles was nice in the shape of Texas or one could pick the four small ones. But let's talk about the eggs, biscuits, sausage, potatoes. My first morning I was the first one and everything was cold. The biscuits couldn't be cut with a knife. Subsequent mornings I tried to eat the eggs but icky frozen eggs, soggy potatoes, barely cooked breakfast sausage (flabby). I could eat the biscuit with the gravy. The muffins were stale, the choice of white bread, white bagel, or barely wheat bread was not a choice. Nothing whole grain. There was peanut butter which was nice. At least the food was hot, but I did have to microwave the sausage to make cook it more. I'm not a fan of underdone sausage. I liked the Raisin Bran. All in all it was a wonderful stay except for the breakfast. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Arrived at 2:00 am, after trouble with our vehicle. So tired. My wife and I shared the one towel provided. (I didn't call the desk, I was tired) phone rang (two rings) at 7:00 am, and then again at 7:05. Called the front desk to tell them we weren't supposed to have a wake up call. No one answered. Got up at 8, continental b-fast was pitiful. Donuts looked day old or more. Bagels looked ok, but I wasn't willing to try anything after that

Stayed here because of BW brand and previous good experiences. This didn't disappoint. I would recommend. Good location next to Texas Tech University and Medical Center. Service was good. Breakfast was good. Good value for very clean, modern room.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was great. We intended to use the pool, but there were too many people using it at the time which is not surprising as it is a fantastic multi level pool.

Everthing was great. Easy checkin, resonable price,frree drinks at the bar in the evening. Our room was very spacious. Nice location at the hotel and hotel was positioned well for our needs. Room needed to be cleaned better.

Although the room was clean and beds were comfortable, the ac wasn't cooling, we left and came back there was puddles of water all over the floor...customer service was awful. Definitely wouldnt recommend again.

Husband had a procedure at the hospital literally around the corner, wasn't dismissed until too late to drive 100 miles home since I don't drive on the highway after dark, so we decided at the last minute to stay in Lubbock. No problem getting a room, the staff was pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and excellent coffee. When you're in the breakfast area you can see the traffic and hear it, but our room was quiet. This is at least the 3rd time we've stayed in this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Many pluses to this hotel. Courteous and friendly staff. Very clean hotel/rooms and beds/pillows are very comfortable. Free shuttle from the airport, great service from all the front desk staff. Amazing free breakfast with lots of options.

Came to my room and saw 4 cockroaches within the first 5 minutes. Went to the front desk to check out immediately and see if I could get a refund but the lady said no. Had to book another hotel down the street. Disgusting.

I needed to travel to Lubbock for business reasons and SureStay accommodated me nicely. The rooms were very clean and the service was great. The location was fantastic as it was close the Texas Tech University and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. I couldn't ask for more and will definitely be returning when I am in Lubbock again.

Close to the University and so many great restaurants. Was convenient for me to get anywhere in town. Also had a bar lounge called recovery room. Seems like rooms are renovated recently since last time I was here. Great staff!

Surely the best place to stay in Lubbock. Right on 19th St where everything is close by. The front desk staff is surely exceptional. The guy at the front desk Zaid even recommended us amazing restaurants and places to go nearby. Surely will stay here again whenever I go back to Lubbock.

I was there for a Cardiac Angiogram and stent placement. My sister stayed both nights and I one. Hospital was less than 1/2 mile away, Shuttle picked me up from hospital and delivered me back to Hotel

This is an older hotel, formerly the Lubbock Inn. The remodel was well done and the room was clean. It is an excellent location near Tech and medical facilities. The price was excellent. Don't see any reason to spend more just to stay in a hotel in a new building.

Excellent place to stay we were well taken care of by the manager Gigi! We asked for an early check in and a late check out and she was happy to help us out with our requests! She made us feel at home.

The breakfast and location were awesome, customer service friendly. My biggest complaint would be cleanliness. Wasn't confident in the cleanliness of sheets, the bathroom floor was dirty, the tub was *probably* clean-ish but looked awful: rust stains, chips, etc. Light bulbs needed to be changed to warm, not so white and cold, and chandeliers in public spaces were missing half the bulbs-- looked tacky. We called it the "tried hard" hotel that didn't quite make it in all areas, but our stay was fine. Old buildings are hard to work with.

Everything was GREAT!! The rooms were comfortable the general manager Gigi made sure I was comfortable she was very sweet and recommended great places for me to eat I just loved her if I had a problem she dealt with it I highly recommend going there

I should have done better research is the first thing. Would I stay there again, probably not here is why and more. The desk clerks were at times non-existent and had to be hunted down if you wanted help when they were not around. This is NEVER good. The second thing is they were under massive construction. When I checked in this was told to me but it wasn't the truth. I had requested a room away from noise in which most of the renovation was happening. I was told the wing I would be in had already been done. NOT TRUE. When I went to the floor on half of the floor was blocked by material used in the renovation.I was also told that my side of the hall had been completed. NOT TRUE. The next morning the hallway had the same materials strewn throughout the hall almost blocking my door in and out ant the elevator. While they did ask if I wanted to move I was only there three (3) days and did not relish packing and repacking. So I had to suck it up. The bar upstairs was dismal and made fantastically horrid drinks. The parking area was partially blocked due to the construction. And back to the front desk they really were not helpful. Breakfast was fairly decent but on the middle day there was a woman and child who thought it was there private buffet where they stood literally in front of the food piling there plates full of food, munching, are refilling so no one and I mean no one could get to the food. Both mother and child were most rotund. I was not pleased. So NO the likelihood of a return stay if nil.

Staff has always been helpful, friendly and courteous. Hats off to GM, Gigi, Cynthia and They are putting new carpet down in many rooms and rooms in front hall 1st floor have tile flooring. Clem room and great value!

My Autistic son loves Best Western Hotels. This time in Lubbock he wanted to try a different one. So we tried Sure Stay. It was okay, convenient to what we were there for. Staff was friendly and courteous.

if I'm sure if I asked the lady do I have to pay cash for the $100 deposit. She said read the sign and I said how much you should read the sign very rudely. There was no alarm clock. check out at 7 the next morning I had to stand there and wait for someone to wake the customer service rep that was sleeping on the couch he acted aggravated because he had to wake up and come check me out. when he came over there I asked me if I was going to get my $100 back that day and he said yes which is a lie. then I said my stay was good he never said good morning he never said thank you for staying and he never said come back or anyting he ignored me I had to get him to look at me or talk to me he didn't even look at me. I will never stay there again.

From check in all the way to check out, the entire stay was awful. At check in our reservation pricing was given to us wrong, I will say that the check in clerk Cynthia was the best thing about this whole situation. She helped us get the pricing we were promised on the phone. Both times our 3/4th grade basketball team got to enjoy breakfast and a show as the cook caused a loud fighting scene with another employee each morning in the lobby while we were there. Smoke odor in all our rooms, slamming of breakfast pans as we stood in line to serve ourselves. Drink machines were all out of order except for water of course! As stated before, the check in clerk Cynthia..we appreciated her for trying to help us solve all the wrongs during our stay but as just a clerk there is so much she can do. Thanks to Cynthia for convincing us to stay and trying your best. If there was any way our group would go back to this hotel it would be because of Cynthia! I also hope no one who goes there at night time has to deal with the night clerk because that was a terrible experience all in it's own!

The only reason I booked this place is because they said they had an airport shuttle. Turns out the shuttle only runs 8:30am to 4:30pm on weekdays which was completely useless for me. l ended up spending an extra $40 using Uber to get from the airport to the hotel and back again the next morning. The room was nice and clean but I would have rather spent the money staying at a nicer hotel that actually had a real shuttle. Also, people were yelling in the hallways all night long. Although the room was nice and clean, it wasn't worth the headache of dealing with transportation and noise.

Dirty, smelly and roach infested. Arrived on a Friday for my exam at Covenent Hospital. Location was perfect but there are other hotels nearby. Hotel smelled like damp garbage and cigarettes. Room was dirty and crawling with tiny roaches.

This hotel was inexpensive and clean (for the most part). Old bedspreads need to be retired and smelled like they left the trash sit too long but sheets, floor, shower and bath were all clean and in very good condition. Plenty of hot water with good pressure. Night clerk was a bit strange and not very helpful. Morning staff was excellent. CB was good.

For the price, it's hard to complain. I arrived around noon after a super early morning and two flights, so I desperately wanted to relax and was so grateful when the GM (Gigi, I believe) facilitated an early check-in for me. Unfortunately, housekeeping didn't catch the memo, and when I arrived and tried to nap, people keyed into my room 3 separate times (luckily the chain was on, nobody actually came in). I assume my room (102) was available early because it's a last option. It faces the parking lot on the ground floor and is right next to a well-used entrance/exit that had people coming in at all hours. The ground floor is all tile, no carpet in the hallways to dampen sound. I ended up stuffing a towel under my doorway and that helped a bit. Again, can't complain because the early check-in was key, but avoid that room if you can! Again, for the price, I'd definitely stay again, absolutely. The hotel bar is super divey, but it was fun!

The room was spacious and excellent king size bed with a 50 inch flat screen. Great cable channel selection. Room was very clean. Great well lit parking. Convenient to Texas Tech University and University Medical Center.

This is the third review I've given for the same night, same place. It's that awesome. The receptionist was very warm and welcoming. After she professionally explained the details of my reservation, we stood and talked for probably 10 more minutes. She was just fantastic! Wonderful woman. Give that lady a raise! The room was just as great. Perfectly clean, very spacious. So many good things about the room. I even videoed it because i was so impressed with the value.

Hotel is definitely old and needs some serious up keep. Bathroom tub in our room was dented and chipped. Had a bug smeared on wall that no one cleaned before we checked in. It is best for a one night stay when you need cheap. Keep expectations low. One plus, you get a drink voucher for their lounge.

For pet night price point, I was totally expecting something else. This hotel is awesome!! The staff was amazing! The room and everything in it was awesome too! The most clean and well taken care of hotel ofmthis class I've ever used!

I requested a King Room and upon my arrival was told the room was set up for the disabled. They suggested to me that they could move me to another room. Well I'm thinking since they're bringing it to my attention, they must have a need for the room. I'm not handicapped so i'm in agreement to give up the room. Then they told me that they would put me in a Double Queen. When I said I want a King Bed I was told there were non available. This was the weekend Metallica was here so all the Hotel's were at their capacity. So I said okay by this time I just wanted to get to my room get some food in my belly and go to sleep. The room they put me in was right by the door. That room wasn't good at all. People were in and out all night long...All you could here was all the foot traffic. Then the Conversation of the People coming in and out the Hotel could be heard. This was even with the television being turned on. The next Morning I was trying to advise the General Manager of the situation and she was very sour. She asked me my room number and suggested that I could have asked for another room. I advised her when I checked in my room was supposed to have been a King. I also explained that upon my arrival the staff were expressing to me that my room was handicapped accessible as if maybe they had a need for it and also that they couldn't accommodate me in a King Room because they were at capacity. She replied to me, she being the General Manager. You Booked With A Third Party Vendor and You Need To Contact Them. Well I Was Not Really Shocked After The Way She Treated This Elderly Woman Who Was In Front of Me Aaked Her For Another Night Stay and She Replied No We Don't Have Anything Available. She Didn't Offer To Try And Contact A Sister Property Or Offer Any Type of Suggestions. Just No You Can't Stay Another Night Sorry and Next In Line...Wow!!!

Overall very good!! There are only two things that in my opinion can be done better. One is the check in time, 4pm is late for me, the second one is the breakfast hours, especially on weekends. I woke up this past sunday at 9:30am just to realize that breakfast time was done.....

All listings ive seen show a restaurant at this facilityfacility. There is none. Location is convenient to shopping and fast food, but not walking distance. Very close to Covenant Hospital, which was the reason for my stay. I would stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay. Book online and save on room rates as well. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and curtious to us. Everything was well maintained and in working order. Would deffinately recommend!!

I stayed here while my son auditioned for admission to Tech. The front desk personnel were courteous, efficient, and friendly. The bed was VERY comfortable and the room was clean. It can be a little noisy, but I had ear plugs so it didn't bother me. The breakfast was typical and the fitness room equipment needed work. Overall, it was a very nice, convenient place to stay.

The hotel lacked amenities and comfort. Cleanliness needs improvement. The bed was very uncomfortable. The mini fridge freezer was dirty. The shower curtain was moldy. Had booked thru a 3rd party site. Hotel staff seemed unfamiliar with the process and was unable to print a receipt.

Arrived just after 2 am after visiting with dying family member in hospital. The guy at front was not very friendly or pleasant. Couldn't even get a thank you for choosing our hotel. This hotel is just down the street from the hospital and I was tired. I just needed a bed to sleep for a couple hours before getting on the road to drive 5 hours home. Front lobby area looked nice but hotel had a weird smell. Room was very basic but bed was comfortable enough to sleep. I may be a little shallow but the room felt "dirty". Woke up around 6 am to a disgusting smell, somewhat like sewer. Couldn't sleep with the smell so checked out. Thought free breakfast was a good idea but food looked unappetizing. Food was placed on plastic trash bags which I am assuming was so that they dont have to wash the silver pans. My concern was that the plastic would tear and get in food. A look at the posted certificates showed a food permit which expired in April 2018 ( I took a picture of them on my phone) and a food certification last taken in 2014. I believe these are supposed to be updated annually but I could be wrong. Either way, the permit to serve food was expired and should be looked into. I would discourage anyone from staying here and I won't be back. Suggest paying a little more at another hotel.

At the end of our stay I went to check out and asked for a bill and the woman at the desk said they dont provide that so I went outside called Best Western and they were very surprised. Thay called the hotel and told them they had to give me a reciept which I then found out was incorrect, took almost an hour to resolve with multiple calls to Best Western, still not sure it is totally resolved, they told me it would take 3 to 5 days. We will see

This hotel is a new found treasure! Just around the corner from Texas Tech and perfect for parents who want to visit their student or go to the game. The best thing for us was how big the TV's are in the rooms. Perfect to watch football highlights or games!

Everyone is friendly. Beds were comfortable.Room was clean. Good breakfast. Easy access to everything. No information in the room on what channel on the TV is what network. Only concern, it happened to be the same room we stayed in 2 weeks earlier - crushed lamp shade and cracked tissue box we had reported had not been changed.

Close to Texas Tech and great bar called the Recovery Room. I sound definitely recommend this hotel. Even if you cannot book a room here, make your way over to check out Recovery Lubbock. They have amazing musicians play every Thursday and Friday and great drink specials.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It used to be nice when it was the Baymont. Things have changed. The hotel was dirty and the halls smelled like a filthy bathroom. There was mold on the walls of the shower. You can see it in their pictures on their website! The housekeeper let herself into my room while I was asleep at 8:30 a.m., despite the Do Not Disturb sign being out. Took a while to get her to leave! At 11:00 a.m., a male housekeeper banged on my door and told me it was checkout time and I needed to leave. I had requested, and been given approval for, a late check out for noon! Do Not Disturb sign still on the door. The absolute worst part of my stay was the desk workers. Upon checkout, Gigi charged my debit card TWICE for the total amount of my stay. She insisted that she didn't, though it was clearly noted on my receipt. She then said she would credit me, but also said she was confused and mistook their internal office number as a credit card number! I had to catch a plane and she said she would call and email me a confirmation receipt when she figured it out. She did neither. As expected, I received a double charge on my debit card and had to go to my bank for help as Gigi had no idea what to do. My bank refunded one of the charges and I thought I was done with them....until 2 weeks later. I received yet another charge for my stay on a different credit card! I called hotel had the unfortunate luck of getting Cynthia on the phone. She was extremely rude and told me I was clearly mistaken, didn't know what I was talking about, etc...while I was looking at my bank transactions on my computer. After getting nowhere with her, I asked her for the name of her manager. She kept saying that the manager wasn't there. That's not what I was asking. I needed a name. She finally said her manager was Gigi; the same person who started this whole mess! I gave up and, again, contacted my bank to disputed the double charge...again. Do yourself a favor. Avoid this "hotel" at all costs!

Both nights I stayed, I woke up with bites on my arms, neck, head and back from bed bugs. The manager denied it even after I showed them the bites on my person. They still charged me full price. No respect for the customer.

Booked reservation online and also spoke to representative. I was secure and paying for the overnight stay for my son who was having surgery (in the military). I was assured my credit card would be accepted and utilized during check in / out. However, the staff refused to use it and required my son to pay out of pocket for the stay. NEVER will I use this facility again.

Room floor was very dirty, bathroom tub and mirror was dirty, fitted sheet on backwards, the smell in the hotel was not a great one, my room was by an exit door and the door would slam shut everytime someone went out.

This hotel is across the street from Texas Tech and near Covenant Hospital, and less than a 15-min drive from the airport. This location offers a free breakfast (cereals, waffles, biscuits/gravy, assorted juices), on-site laundry services and two swimming pools (ADA accessible). The rooms are non-smoking, spacious, clean and offer excellent A/C. The bed was hard and the shower pressure was a little light, but other than that, it was a nice stay. Super quiet!! I never heard anyone else on my floor.

The hotel front lobby staff for excellent awesome job guys! Housekeeping was horrible the room was never swept the trash was not empty the bathroom was not clean we didn't have enough toilet paper horrible!!!

After check in we noticed many individuals in the parking area and realized they were all there drinking and causing havoc. We didn't realize there is a bar in this hotel. Second bed smelled of feet and had stains. Do waste your money!
