This is an older hotel and it smelled like it. The first thing I did was ask to borrow a can of Lysol. I doused the room, the stairwell and the hall. It had a short term effect. I went for a swim in the cold pool and even though I was swimming well within the hours of operation, the lights never came on when it got dark.
Our double bed room was spacious and clean. AC was fine and TV worked well. Bathroom has small shampoo, conditioner, and soap bars for about one person. Shower, toilet and beds were fine. Bathroom fan wasn't working so it made it foggy afterwards. Room had a refrigerator and microwave. We were on the third floor and it was quiet. Floors were thin since we could hear neighbors upstairs walking and jumping loudly for over an hour. Breakfast was ok with warm scrambled eggs, salty sausage links and potato chunks. Toast, yogurt, and cereal added to the variety. They had waffles that were Texas shaped too. A surprise was a cappuccino and espresso machine! It was better coffee than the fresh brewed in the carafes. The indoor pool was small but busy with families. The fitness room had window that overlooked into pool. It was ok with the popular equipment but felt stuffy. A box fan was on while we were using it. Hotel was alone on the service road next to large cotton field. There was low road noise. It was conveniently located not too far from Texas Tech and Ranch Heritage museum. Location was off the loop 289 so easy access around the city.
My family and I had the best stay! The location was great, staff super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a great inclusion. Will be staying again!
Our mini fridge wasn't great and the guest dryer in the laundry wasn't working. Clean room, great service, pool area was always kept up. Overall great experience
Thank goodness hospital staff told me about the Best Western. There are multiple motels in Lubbock that I dare not stay. Clean, quiet and affordable. For once, I had a pillow that I could actually sleep with! Pretty good breakfast and helpful staff. This will be my choice if I ever need to stay in Lubbock again!
We arrived with no reservations and Libby and Charlene at the front desk placed us in a handicap suite when we expected a regular 2 queen room. They realized when we walked in that I was in a lot of pain due to a broken foot. They gave me extra pillows to elevate my foot and made sure we knew where the ice machine was. We picked this hotel because it is very close to my orthopedic surgeon's office. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast area was clean and tidy. Definitely will stay here when we return for my one month doctor visit.
Booked two rooms for family members for three nights. The hotel staff were very professional and courteous. The rooms were very clean, especially the bathroom. No mold around the tub, which you see in a lot of hotels even very expensive ones. The full breakfast had a variety of choices. The hot foods were hot and all items seemed to be fresh. The hotel was very quiet even though it appeared to be full. We were traveling with a two month old and could not hear her crying in the next room. I would definitely recommend
Nice choice of a hotel to spend after an afternoon of golf at the Rawls course. Bed a little soft but had a good night's sleep. Pet friendly and we don't have any pets and had no problems with noise or cleanliness. Breakfast good with waffles, eggs, sausage and cold items. Only suggestion would be to heat the pool. It was ice cold!
We were road-tripping and booked this hotel primarily for charging and it was really disappointed that we could not really on this option. When we got there, there were 2 non electric cars parked in the only 2 spots and were told there was nothing they could do. Then, when we finally got to charge, it worked for 5 minutes and stopped due to a technical error.
The best hotel in the area! It's clean, convenient, good breakfast and the room actually got cold! That's great and very important to us! It was very clean too. Plenty of clothes hangers. The bed and pillows were very comfortable!
This location is a good example of what this brand should be at all their locations. Check in was easy with the friendly greetings, as was checkout. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and there was very little noise from the adjacent highway or from inside the hotel. Breakfast was the only weak point. For whatever reason, the attendant wasn't keeping up with stocking the coffee and milk and a few other things, but it only meant a few minutes wait so not really a big deal. Aside from that it was fine with typical assortment of food offerings. Passing through Lubbock? Stay here.
The rooms are clean. Staff is very accommodating and breakfast was great. Didn't really care for the coffee machine. Overall it was a great experience at an affordable price We stayed to get out of the weather..
My family and I had been traveling cross country and were thankful to find a nice hotel in a nice area of town to rest for the evening until we could get back on the road the next morning. We checked into the Best Western between 10:30PM-10:45PM on the evening of Friday, January 5th. Upon check-in we unpacked some of our belongings, my grandson showered, we fed the children, and briefly watched television. These are all normal things that people do when checking into and while staying at a hotel. The children, ages 10, 5, and 4 months old were all very happy to be out of the car after a long day. There was a brief stint of tears from my 5 year old granddaughter, as well as my 4 month old granddaughter while her diaper was changed and she was put into her pajamas. There was absolutely no running, yelling, screaming, or anything that would cause concern for disrupting other guests. We worked diligently to ensure the kids were situated and in bed within the hour of check in. We had not even been in our room for a full hour before receiving a phone call from the front desk stating that the room below us was complaining of noise. It was at this point we continued to get everyone settled into bed so that there would be no cause for any further complaints which didn't make sense to begin with. Shortly after the phone call, my daughter called down to the front desk to apologize for the dissatisfaction of the guests below us and explain that we were doing everything we could to get everyone settled into bed so that we would no longer be walking back and forth. The clerk at the desk stated that she understood and shared that she was required to notify us. Shortly after midnight all of the children were sleeping and just as we were attempting to also get rest, we were woken up by several loud knocks on the door from the Lubbock Police Department. It was at this point they advised they were called to evict us from our room due to a noise complaint. They advised that the hotel staff had made “several” calls to our room to notify us that we needed to keep it down. This was in fact, false. We only received a single phone call. There was zero attempt on behalf of the hotel to try and see how they could help resolve the issue or accommodate us. I have never in my life felt so humiliated and disheartened. My grandchildren were awoken by the kind police officers at our door who also seemed surprised by the circumstances. I had to explain to my grandchildren that nobody was in “trouble” or “going to jail” and that we just needed to leave the hotel. It was beyond upsetting and my grandchildren were traumatized by the experience as a whole. We were given 10-15 minutes to pack all of our belongings and exit the hotel premises. We were left to make alternative arrangements while sitting in our vehicle in freezing temperatures with 3 young children at almost 1AM in the morning. We were also told there would be no refund given after being at the hotel for less than 3 hours in total. The demeanor of the hotel staff made us feel as if we were criminals, committing some sort of crime. To say we were upset and disappointed is a complete understatement.
We càme to Lubbock for Texas Graduation. We have stayed at the Best Western Plus Tech Med before so I knew this was our place. Clean, kind, so quiet and comfortable. My go to place in Lubbock. Great value for the price.
As their name says they were the Best!! I have stayed at this location before. Nice, quite and clean. The front desk staff and cleaning crew were very friendly. Beds were fantastic and the bathrooms were clean. Very enjoyable stay.
I highly recommend this Best Western Plus in Lubbock, TX. We needed a pet-friendly place to stay just one night and it was excellent. The pet rooms are all on the ground floor which makes walking your dog much quicker and easier. Our room was very clean and the stay was quiet.
Great hotel third time staying here. Tried two other hotels here and came back to this one. Clean, safe, nice staff and no problems. Definitely stay here again. Close to UMC. Breakfast was good and different each day
The hotel is on the loop and fairly easy to get to. The beds, bathroom, shower and hotel were clean. The vent in the bathroom didn't seem to work. The beds were comfortable. There is one elevator but it can be slow during busy times. The pool and gym looked clean. Overall, the staff was friendly. It's a couple miles to restaurants and shopping but easy access to the hospitals and Texas Tech. The website says eggs cooked to order for breakfast. I was there numerous days and the eggs aren't cooked to order. They have a self serve container of scrambled eggs, potatoes, and then one meat choice. Some days it's bacon some days sausage. There were a couple days biscuits and gravy were also available. There was fruit, pastries, cereal, a waffle maker, and toaster. The food was ok tho. The dining area was clean. The website mentions cookies in the evening but the cookie monster must have been there before me because I never saw any. The week night rates were acceptable, my room rate for Saturday night was almost double what I paid during the week. The only reason I stayed the weekend and didn't look for a cheaper place to stay was I didn't want the hassle of moving luggage/belongings. We were here because of a loved one in the hospital and didn't want the extra stress of moving things. I know it's pretty common for hotel prices to go up on weekends but almost double is not right. It seems like being close to the hospital there could be hospital rates.
Bathroom (toilet) was obviously never cleaned after previous guest. It was gross. Changed rooms & toilet was not quite as filthy, but still not clean & hair in the sink. Got an apology from clerk on duty but nothing more. Housekeeping & Manager obviously don't care.
I don't think I would stay again do to the parking situation. I had to have the front desk clerk come out side and show me where to park. I was told to park in a spot that was not legal to park. So at 6am I had to wake up and move the car into a legal spot as people checked out. Quite a pain.
Hotel was clean and very nice in having our dog with us. Up-charge for our dog was very reasonable. Nice breakfast, safe location and friendly staff. Only downside were tiny square pillows on the king size bed that we found uncomfortable.
Pretty normal hotel experience. Staff was friendly, our room was clean. My kids enjoyed the pool and free breakfast which was more than just a continental breakfast. The beds were typical hotel comfort…quite firm (which I don't enjoy, but I know many do) and flat pillows. Overall for the price it was a good stay.
The tv in our room doesn't work, there's bird crap, lots of it, by the front door, front door trash was overflowing, and the AC doesn't work well. The bathroom soap dish had old soap residue in it, so I had to clean it before I could break the new soap open to use it. The chair in the room has lots of stains.
Don't raise your prices when Texas Tech does its family day. 300 dollars for the room is booty. Other than that this hotel is a great quiet place to stay if you're in Lubbock doing whatever it is that you do
Solidly fine. Just a few things that would've made it noticeably better. 1. Wish the A/C were turned on when we got to the room, rather than it being warm and stuffy (summertime in Texas). 2. The breakfast area was good enough, except that if several people wanted to make a waffle, it was a long wait with only one waffle iron--a 2nd iron would go a long way. 3. Service was fine but not particularly friendly or service-minded.
The hotel and rooms are very nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made check-in quick and easy. We enjoyed the breakfast area and the variety of breakfast items available. We would definitely stay at this hotle again.
BEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! Yes I might be exaggerating a little but the pool was good the fitness center was amazing! The the bed was comfortable the fold out couch/bed was comfortable too. But one question I have is what is the name of that machine in the fitness center? You could do almost every workout on that one machine! (But seriously was what the name I want to buy one now.)
Just a nice location and a perfect hotel to stay. Me and my wife stay here all the time when we want to have a weekend getaway. Service is always great, checking in is very fast with no issues. Awesome Hotel!!
Stayed here for 4 days while golfing in Lubbock! Staff were great, friendly and the facilities were top notch. Wifi was great and while a little problem to start with EV charger, got it working and was great to charge while staying there!
Excellent place to stay. The front desk personal made sure my family check in with no problem. She took good care of us. Rooms were very nice, clean and plenty of room. Location was good and easy to find. I rate this hotel a 10 and would recommend others about this hotel.
This hotel was amazing and was worth the or ice I paid. It had an indoor pool. The breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly. The cleanness of the hotel was also good Everything made our holiday stay even more enjoyable
Everything was perfect no problems at all. Bathroom was a good size, front desk was nice, breakfast was good and fresh. Room was clean. No dirt or hair in tub. Pillows were soft beds were comfortable.
Second weekend staying at this location. I found it just like the first time/. Clean, welcoming, comfy beds, and yummy breakfast choices!! Love they are pet friendly-although, I don't have a pet. Will be back soon!
Good hotel to stay at for the price. Our room as clean and when we asked front desk for some things, they always accommodated. Breakfast was very good and space was clean. I have one recommendation. Three of the 4 days I was there I noticed coffee spills in the elevator and in front of the elevator. I nearly spilled some as well. This would be remedied by providing lids for the coffee cups! Please provide lids for your coffee cups.
We picked the BW Plus because they allow dogs for a non refundable $20 per night fee. The hotel was in a good location for us. The facilities are nice and the room was comfortable and clean. The toilet paper is the worst possible. The included breakfast was very good with great service. People were not picking up their dog's poops which was gross.
Motel is not old. Very fresh, attractive and in excellent condition. Easily accessible. Quiet. Very comfortable bed. Upon leaving I discovered I had left something in the room. With a phone call, Chris, at the front desk, located the item. After verifying information it will be mailed/shipped to me for a $10 service charge. I was expecting a much larger charge so i am very pleased. I would recommend this motel to anyone staying in Lubbock.
We really enjoyed this inn as it was spacious and had comfortable beds. It was really clean and the breakfast was fine. The only reason we didn't rate the inn a 5 was due to the fact that the hotel was really hot. The rooms stayed cool enough. Thank you for your hospitality.
I highly recommend this particular Best Western! It has helpful staff that is willing to go above and beyond! The rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable, cable, internet, laundry service, indoor pool...etc. The rooms are stocked with everything you may need. Definitely my choice when staying in Lubbock! They also have a great variety of breakfast! Love it! I will definitely be staying again!
We spent one night at this hotel and were very pleased with our room. The room was fresh and clean and the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was the usual. Our interaction with the staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was easily accessible from the freeway.
Clean rooms, great breakfast and the customer service is excellent. Close to heart hospital, eating establishments and easy access to hotel. This is our go to place when staying in Lubbock. I recommend this to everyone headed to Lubbock
We had a super easy check-in when we arrived. The rooms were clean. We had clean sheets stored in the closet for the fold out couch. The breakfast selection was great! Plenty of choices and everything was full, and hot!
Great place to stay on our way back from Colorado. Hotel is very clean and easy to access and lots of food places near as well. Plenty of places for our pup to use to potty as well. They had a hot breakfast but we didn't have to time before we had to leave to try it. My only con was whoever was upstairs from us was jumping rope or something who knows what for ever from like 7-8 then 11-12 and it was very loud so the ceilings are kind of thin. We requested first floor but next time I'd definitely request top floor. Oh and the front desk staff were amazing and super helpful! We would stay again for sure.
I came in late because i drove from colorado to here. I drove over 10 hours and came in around 1030. I went to use the tub to releive back pain from the long ride. I walked in and this is what i found. Hair in the tub from the last guest, on the toilet and i found stains on both the sofa cushions and the matress. Theres cheese and other crumbs in the bed. I called the front desk and they said they had disinfectant but i had to go down and get it. He apologized and said he could take some towels to me to wipe it down. I told him it needed to be disinfected because i have no idea what the last person did in the tub. His response was i have some disenfectant but you have to come down and get it. I had to clean the tub!! I found the cheese and stains after, my wife pulled it out and crumbs hit the floor. We are stuck here because we DON'T have another $800 for another hotel. I don't even want to stay here. We booked this place for 5 days. It was pet friendly and had 2 beds for my wife and kids. We went to walk the dog and found a urinated on peice of TP in front of the room across the hall. There was dog feces in the elevator! I get the staff cannot be everywhere at once but how often do they check on things? We asked for a manager and one cannot come in until tomorrow afternoon which would make us miss check out and have to stay in this filthy unkempt room. DO NOT COME HERE!! The front desk showed up to inspect the room and offered 50% off and one bed and a couch which he stated was clean or a full refund and we have to leave. It is now 1234. I pray we can find a clean hotel.
I was extremely disappointed in the pillows at this hotel. They were small and square, but they used a regular pillow case and just wrapped them up. They were very uncomfortable and I ended up folding up a blanket to use as a pillow instead. A king room for 2 had 2 bath towels. I had to go ask for more. The coffee in the breakfast area is from a machine and it's pretty bad. With so many options in Lubbock now I doubt I'll be back.
Have stayed here more than once. Very comfortable. Always a good experience We love the Texas waffles. Clean. Well-maintained. Helpful staff. Even have EV charge stations. Enjoyed our suite. Will visit again when in town
Shower pressure was poor. Vanity water either scalding hot or ice cold... no in between. TV remote was non functioning. Most channels listed on guide not available. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are miniature. Breakfast was "meh". Cleanliness throughout hotel and around the property was of a very low standard. The online ratings (best in area) were no where near a true representation of reality. So if you're not expecting 4.4 hotel (March 2022) then you'll probably be okay.
The suite was clean and very relaxing. The TV worked. I enjoyed the luxury in-room jacuzzi and slept well. The indoor swimming pool was another luxury I enjoyed though the temp could have been a bit hotter. The breakfast was perfect. Conveniently located so I could get around town within minutes.
The interior decor colors for this hotel are unusual but I'm glad that didn't stop me from booking. The price was great, it was very clean, the staff was top-notch and the breakfast was good in quantity and quality- bacon, eggs, Texas shaped waffles, muffins, yogurt, fruit, juices. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very quiet. We would stay there again and I completely recommend it. The area felt safe too.
I looked through various places to stay in Lubbock, but this location stood out because it had better reviews and with good reason. The hotel was overall great. It was clean, great check in, friendly staff, comfortable bed, little fridge and microwave were great additions to the room as well.
The room was spacious and clean and tastefully decorated. It was nice and quiet and we were able to get a good night's rest. The hotel is located close to Texas Tech University and within distance to many different restaurants as well.
Excellent location and overall a good value for the money. Clean rooms and great breakfast. I require ADA compliant room and it met my requirements. Breakfast staff especially helpful and food was fresh and tasty. Only complaint was hot water was inconsistent in the shower and low pressure. Hotel was not full so it wasn't a case of too guests for their system.
The room was nice and large hot water was INSTANT hotel was in great shape and staff was very friendly There is no road noise and no noise from other rooms elevator was quick and breakfast food was readily available
The friendly staff greeted me upon arrival and during departure check-in/out process was speedy. Facility commons area was clean. Guest room bath could have been cleaner. Fire alarm sounded at around 5:30 am but was no inconvenience to me.
The property is clean. The rooms we stayed in were clean and modern. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was similar to others and is ok. The coffee was good. We have stayed twice and will definitely stay again on our travels through Lubbock.
Upon throwing back the covers in the morning, I discovered 2 large stains on the sheet! The stains were not stiff with dried fluid, indicating the housekeeper knew there were stains when the sheet was put on the mattress. Front desk personnel explained, corporate policy was to reuse stained sheets due to the sheet shortage nationwide.
This is a relatively new Best Western, with a modern "techno" design. The spacious rooms are very nicely furnished, with a good desk and chair and Internet for work. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower (no tub) with a decent shower head and safety grab bar. The King bed was very comfortable. The lightening was adequate and conveniently switched, so you didn't have to stumble around in the dark looking for a light switch. The refrigerator kept items very cold (a little too cold at first and I had to turn it down) and it froze water bottles in the freezer section for the cooler the next day, The TV was large 50" or so, was viewable from the bed or the desk. The microwave was also in good condition and worked well. However, the construction of this new building is highly suspect, as I had to cancel one trip earlier in the summer because the elevators were completely out and this 4 story hotel was essentially unusable. This trip the hot water for the entire hotel went down several times one day. Luckily for me it was after my morning shower and while I was essentially out doing business for the day, but it speaks to poor design and execution in the construction of the building. If it works, it is a nice place to stay, but it too often doesn't work to be deemed reliable.
Our stay was perfect from check in to check out. The young man at check in was so polite and helpful. I wish I could remember his name. Sorry! Everything in hotel (and grounds) very clean, neat. Room comfy, all good. Reasonable price. Convenient stop on our way to New Mexico. Would stop in again if in area. Forgot to say, tasty breakfast with nice lady keeping area clean, and fresh. Thank you.
Conveniently located, clean, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast - all at a very affordable price. We needed to stop after a long day of driving from Western New Mexico on our way to Austin - this place fit the bill, with all that you might expect from the best Western experience.
We always stay at this Best Western when we go to Lubbock because it is the best. Always great service and nice rooms. I would recommend it to everyone who is visiting Lubbock. Especially if you have kids going to Texas Tech.
The Check-in process was long due to a lack of front desk attendants. The hotel is well maintained, inside and out. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything worked. The bathroom is an odd design. There is an open space in the middle of the room. The toilet is cramped into a small space and the shower is long and narrow with a narrow door. The shower door is covered with caulking that's moldy. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Clean and convenient location the Lubbock area. Pet friendly grounds. Friendly and helpful staff. Lighted parking lot that is easy to get in and out. Rooms are clean and have microwave and refrigerator.
I will stay here again!! The hotel is really clean and our room number 222 was one of the best that I have ever stayed in!! The staff was friendly! The beds are extremely comfortable and the area is safe!!
Everything from the service of scheduling the room to the personal service was with no headaches or pushed sales for other things. Some places push for trip points or giveaways and this trip was tough with a family member who needed medical help at a nearby hospital.
very good check in, and she knew her food places, newer and very clean on outskirts of town, but a few minutes to college, our go to place one of the better Best Western Pluses out there, driving distance to food
Room was clean and cool. Hotel is well located if you have any functions at Texas Tech. I do think that this hotel is priced a bit higher than comparable hotels with equitable amenities. Breakfast was great, Day 2 burritos were delicious. Don't forget to tip the Breakfast Hostess!
My husband and I stayed at this Best Western on a Monday night in July. We were very pleased with the large room, comfortable bed and delicious hot breakfast. The breakfast area had open seating but we took our food back to the room due to Covid-19. A breakfast server gave us bacon, eggs, hash browns, yogurt and muffins. There were some other items as well. Our room had a microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator (no freezer), dresser, 2 night stands, a large TV, desk with chair and one other chair. The carpet and tile appeared to be clean. Check in and out was quick and easy. Yes, we would certainly stay here again.
We've been traveling a lot the past 2 months and have stayed at 7 different hotels/ motels across the southern states. This hotel was the best! Cleanest room, cleanest bathroom and a real breakfast. If traveling though Texas this is a place to stay.
I made a reservation with this location at 9:55 PM and about five minutes later, my car broke down. I was told the front desk closes at 11 PM, so I immediately called the location back, considering the time change from MST to CST, and there was no answer after several attempted tries. At this point, I was unable to make it to Lubbock that same night to make the reservation. I called the next morning to explain my situation and was told to call after the weekend when the general manager was able to talk to me. I called the next week and was told the front desk is open until 2 AM and missed phone calls are recorded...so my side of the story basically didn't make sense. The manager and I discussed I could get a 50% refund after 3-5 business days though. After 13 business days, no refund. I call again, and I'm told that refund wasn't guaranteed and they can give me a credit instead for a free night at that location. I brought up how I would prefer the refund and how I wasn't aware it wasn't guaranteed. Eventually, she hung up on me. I am not sure if I'll ever be in Lubbock again, and was expecting the 50% refund back to my card. I'm not impressed with how the situation was handled, and won't be staying at Best Western again.
My stay here was great. The hotel is extremely clean and nice. The staff were very respectful and helpful. The king room was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. I have nothing negative to input. Do not hesitate to book this hotel.
Not sure what I was expecting, but we were disappointed with this hotel. There was what looked like pubic hair on the sheets, and more hair on the towels. The towels were raggedy and fraying on the ends. The sheets were so pilled they were scratchy. We only stayed here one night passing through but would not stay again.
This was not our first stay here and it will not be our last. Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The bed was so cozy. Convenient location to all the things we like to do and see. We will be back for sure.
This best western located in Lubbock, Texas is a great place to stay. I have stayed here many times since it opened and will continue to go there even though the evening manager was bad by saying I had to buy 2 bottles of water instead of the usual 2 free bottles. A small, but nice gesture
The receptionist clearly did not want to be there and seemed to prefer that I wasn't there. He wasn't following the mask mandate which made me quite uncomfortable. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I was very pleased with that. The hotel is in a cotton field but inside it's nice. Maybe don't stay here in the spring when the wind blows the most.
Best beds in Lubbock. Always clean and everything works in rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful. We usually use their accessible rooms due to our age and arthritis, although we prefer this motel even if one is not available on a specific trip. Just means we have to pack some our own additional equipment.
My dad was in the hospital and we had family in and out of the hotel, they were very helpful and very kind during our difficult time. The staff went above and beyond to make us very comfortable. The hotel was very clean.
This was my first time to book a room with Best Western Plus Tech Medical Center Inn. When I arrived the young lady at the front desk was so kind and helpful. My hotel room was so cozy and super clean. The hotel itself is beautiful. I will definitely be staying again and recommend it for anyone needing a hotel. The price is reasonable and you will not regret it.
We stayed at this hotel because it looked nice and was close to where we were visiting. The tub was clogged and almost filled up. My daughter broke out when sleeping in the bed. Something made us both itch. We had to go to the pharmacy to get benadryl. Did not sleep well at all. The desk clerk response was sorry when told about the problems.
Other than the room missing the fridge, it was nice and seemed to be pretty clean which is a big deal, especially right now. Guests weren't wearing masks which was a huge negative for me but, luckily, we didn't come into contact with too many people.
I am a Hilton guy, but when I go to Lubbock I will continue to stay at this BW+. The appearance, cleanliness, and helpful courteous staff makes my visit complete. Not only the proximity to everywhere I need to go in Lubbock, but the helpful and professionally trained staff knows what's important to business travelers like myself.
the Hotel was super clean and easy to get to. check in was fast and hassle free. it is super close to the hospital zone and easy on and off the highway. i stayed at a different hotel last time for twice the money. this one was far better.
The first room I was offered smelled like smoke. The second one had mold growing in the AC vent. The third was OK. They offered an upgrade to a suite because of the hassle. I was traveling alone and only staying one night, so I did not need a suite. I declined. I would have preferred some sort of discount on my bill. It is probably the hardest mattress I have ever encountered in my life. I did not get much sleep and my back hurt in the morning. The light in the shower did not work. For breakfast they had cereal with no milk and coffee with no creamer or milk. There was a waffle maker. I asked the attendant if there was any hot food available besides the waffle maker. She said no. I made a waffle and brought it back to the room (dinning area close because of covid-19). When I got back to the room I discovered that the waffle was not really cooked all the way through and was not eatable. I went back down to the breakfast area to look for something else to eat. I overheard another guest ask the attendant for a breakfast taco, which was promptly delivered pre[made from the kitchen area. This was the same person that told me there was no hot food, milk, or coffee creamer. I ended up getting a couple of tacos that were actually pretty good, but about 30 minutes of my morning was wasted. The staff was very friendly.
This was a customer service issue. We made an error in booking and the G.M did not bother to callme to discuss. When I reached out and had Corporate try as well, still there was no communication. I cant say weather or not hotel was good bad or indifferent, we never stayed. But, I think that the G.M is an issue here.
We stayed 2 nights at this property on August 7-9, 2020. The rooms and property are nicely decorated. The Property is conveniently located for TTU and Medical district. The room AC's worked really well. Not sure if this was COVID-19 related, but breakfast was very limited with oatmeal, cold cereal, coffee and waffle machine was available. No hot breakfast was available. Also, no ice or vending machines were located. Pillow on bed were terrible. Lastly, on Sunday morning 6-7 trucks including ours were broken into via a smashed passengers window. The policeman that took the report mentioned there are are CCTV cameras in the back of this parking lot. We also learned that the security guard leaves at 0530. Two facts the the thieves apparently are also aware of. Also $220/ night for TTU move-in weekend during a pandemic seems like price gauging when the average list is $70-$80 per night on TripAdvisor. We have many more trip planned to Lubbock but will choose a different Hotel in the future.
My dogs and I have stayed here several times. Before and during Covid it's always clean and check in is always fast. I have a new puppy who is ‘in training'. I keep pads for her, but she prefers grass. At check-in the young man asked if we needed to be near the door and he put us just steps away from the side door so we never had an accident. The area outside isn't fenced, but there is plenty of space to walk and grass for personal business.
Upon arrival the gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant. We felt very welcome and thankful for him getting us checked in quickly. The rooms were very clean and very well kept. In the morning the clerk who checked us out asked if we had a good night's rest and if we needed anything else. Over all our stay there was very comfortable and I will definitely be staying here again in the future!
We pre-arranged to have a no contact check-in, drove 9 hours, and upon arrival faced hesitance from the person at the front desk. They felt they could not leave the desk to check us in, though we had previously been assured that we would have a no-contact check-in. The clerk's hesitation is understandable, but we called ahead of time, and chose this hotel specifically because we were assured our needs could be met. In a pandemic, and being immunocompromised, we had hoped for a better reception. I hope management can better equip staff going forward. Give them training for accommodating guests who want to do a no-contact check in; it's essential in these times.
This was a nice hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Due to COVID we got a grab and go breakfast. The price was decent. If I came back to Lubbock I would stay here again.
We had a very good experience in this motel all the way around they met my expectations for a clean nice stay. Very convenient just off the loop i try n LBK with a convenient place to stay for the night or even a longer stay.
We love to stay at Best Western when we travel. They are clean, staffed with friendly people, have an awesome free breakfast (carryout during the Covid 19 crisis) and reasonable prices. And you can almost be sure to find one wherever you travel.
My husband and I wanted to unplug and just relax for an evening by ourselves so I reserved a room with a hot tub on Saturday morning. I selected a rate that would not refund in the case of a cancellation because it was for the day and we 100% were planning on going. Shortly after I made the reservation my husband got very I'll and wanted to stay home in our own bed. I called and canceled the reservation and the representative informed me again that I had selected the rate that doesn't allow for any refund in the case of cancellation, I said I was aware and lesson learned. I was checking my emails a little while later and I had received an email from Best Western saying even though they knew it was not the policy to allow any exceptions to the no refund rate rule they were going to check with management to see if perhaps they could allow one in this case. Normally you have to call and fight with the hotel for a refund in any circumstance, I was impressed. The staff at the hotel was also very courteous and attentive and genuinely pleasant. The rooms were well appointed and the beds were comfortable. I also loved the sweet shop and the flowers hanging from the ceiling in the lobby. It was a very good experience and I intend to use this location again in the future and recommend it to anyone who is needing a place to stay .
I stayed here the first week they opened and have stayed here 4 times since. I've never had a problem and get a great nights sleep, the staff has gone above and beyond to get the room I need because of my special needs daughter and they are pet friendly.
This location is always clean, well staffed and just a great place to stay! With COVID19 going on, they made sure that the hotel was always clean and smelling fresh. Every time I left my room to go somewhere, the staff was cleaning and making the hotel in tip top shape.
Came to town on a quick trip to move my daughter home during the Coronavirus time. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. They had many safety cleaning measures in place that I greatly appreciated. I would gladly stay here again when we are in town next.
I have stayed here 2 different times and both times the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast room is well-maintained. The parking lot is a little tight. I plan to stay here, again.
Overall this BW was clean and nicely decorated appears to be a newer hotel. It is in a great area with easy access to highway. The breakfast is very good lots of selections and plenty to choice from even right before they close for breakfast. Not too far from things we were there to do. Our room was extremely noisy though. The hallways, staircase and highway noise were very loud. We even purchase a white noise machine to help but it was minimal help at night. The pool doesn't have a hot tub and isn't maintain very well being a newer hotel pool. The water was very cloudy and had globs of hair laying at poolside as well as in the water. My 4yr old kept bringing me hair that would get caught in his toes. Lastly, the pillows are small and lumpy and the beds slept rough.
I booked a reservation for this hotel online, assuming I was booking directly with Best Western Plus Tech Medical Center. When we arrived, after a long day of traveling, we checked in, and I noticed (in small print, and in which I had to open a separate link to view the details) a surcharge for an extra $56.42. I asked about it, and was told it was just for taxes, etc., and I assumed it was a refundable surcharge that we have experienced at other locations. Upon checking out the surcharged remained, and when I asked about it I was told that I had made this reservation through a travel agency, and there was nothing that could be done! Another guest checking out after me had the same problem. I assume Best Western Plus has outsourced their reservations to one or more booking companies. The online site for this Best Western Plus did not indicate anywhere that it was a separate booking company - in fact I find it very misleading, and could almost be perceived as fraudulent!!!!! So, I paid over $50 to GETAROOM.com. I will never stay at another Best Western Plus, whom I feel is equally responsible.
Exterior and interior are very nicely appointed, rooms are up-to-date and clean, and staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, even by Texas standards. Being from the DFW area, we were surprised at the friendly price too. Nice experience.
First both my son and us booked the same hotel. I contacted the hotel a few days before and asked if we could be put as close as possible. We arrive first, I mentioned it to the front desk, both times I was told sure no problem. But when my son got there. They put us on opposite ends. Second, could here our neighbors and in the morning you could smell the breakfast in my room on the second floor. The second night we had loud neighbors with loud music and laughing late into the night. Needless to say, I was disappointed.
Newer hotel with spacious rooms. Easy access to Texas Tech. Nice amenities, heated indoor pool, workout room, free breakfast and wifi. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. So this is a problem, you require 200 characters, but i was finished complimenting your facility. Perhaps I shouldn't have agreed to the review.
This is a newer Best Western Plus property in a good west-side location - easy to get to off of the loop. There is plenty of close parking. Very nice folks at the front desk. Good breakfast and good internet.
Very clean rooms, great staff I would recommend this place to anyone.very good experience, the staff was very helpful and respectful, able to enjoy the room with out any unexpected surprises, definitely a place I would stay on my next visit
We decided to make a quick stop to see our daughter who attends Tech. I was blown away by this place, big value for your money. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are spacious. The offer a full breakfast, even during the week. I highly recommend.
I have stayed at this hotel twice, and will stay at this hotel anytime I am in Lubbock. Great value, great room, great staff. The breakfast is good too. The only know could be on location. There aren't any restaurants you can walk to, but plenty within a few miles.
We found this Best Western to be a great experience- The staff and support staff were great - We found the room to be really clean and the breakfast to be good- We needed to extend our stay and the office staff were great to work with us. I really recommend this hotel ! Quiet and clean and great amenities!
I booked this hotel for the location and price. The hotel was less than 10 minutes from a friend. The price was great. Warning: Shame on me! I got what I paid for. Broken glass from a car window was strewn over several parking places. The staff act as though they are exhausted. Kind, but not really interested in any type of extra conversation. The pool water was barely visible to the bottom, two water bottles and what looked like a spoon at the shallow end.
Front staff very wonderful and our rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were hard hard. If you like firm (like sleeping on the floor) you will like it. Breakfast was disgusting but included in the price. Only one person trying to make food for everyone so she did the very best she could.
My 8 year old greatgrand daughter loves mysteries. Even though we live here in Lubbock we spent the night at this location. I had checked ahead of time to make sure there was a pool., which there is. From check in to check out everything went smoothly. The beds were comfy, room clean . My only complaint, the Hot water wasn't really Hot. I took a bath in straight Hot and I was disappointed. The next morning we went down for breakfast. At the time we got there it was in need of being replenished , which it was. However that was done about 10 minutes after we got our food . It's pet friendly, so we saw lots of dogs, but they were well behaved. All in all , I'd recommend this location, great value for the rate. The front desk clerk was kind enough to take our pic by the tree.
Disappointed compared to last stay at same hotel. HVAC did not perform well getting the room to hot finally turning it off at night. Food quality was ok but noticed employee preparing food did not wear gloves or head covering. Insufficient seating which has not changed since last visit,
This hotel is very clean and very professional. Breakfast is amazing and employees go out their way to assist you with anything you need help with. Hotel is in a good location. Also right in front of heart doctors hospital
The hotel room was small, but clean and comfortable. The customer service at the desk was good. We did get a room on the lower floor and there was no problem with check in or check out. There are no restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast is meager, cheap and below the standard of most Best Western Hotels. The shower curtain in the bathroom should have been changed.
This Best Western Plus should not be a plus. You could hear the neighbor's. The heater system was not that great. We had to call and ask for a hair dryer as there was not one in the room. The bathroom amenities were limited. They are 4 small pillows so we had to ask for an extra pillow. Overall, we would not stay here again!
Went for a procedure at UMC and it finished earlier than expected. I called to see if there was any way to check in early, the staff was friendly and accommodating and had me a room ready when I got there. I really enjoyed my stay, I'll definitely be coming back.
'Nathan' was anything besides hospitable upon checkin!!!!! Called front desk for 600 a.m. wake up call THAT NEVER CAME!!!!! Gravy at breakfast was COLD but breakfast lady was correcting this as we were leaving. We were forced to take our overnight items around the handicap access as an EMPLOYEE had her van parked over the handicap sidewalk access. She moved it after I placed 'note of appreciation' on her windshield. Believe they need to initiate a "customer service meeting" to all employees At Once! Not sure we will stay here again, even if it is close to our physicians' offices. Requires improvement for sure!
All I can say is wow! Short version: For those that want a quick insight. 1) Super clean 2) Great, helpful and down to earth staff 3) Low cost high value 4) Safe 5) Spacious rooms 6) Low cost pet fees 7) Great breakfast options 8) Great location Long version: I was on a trip traveling back from Moab, Utah to Austin, Texas and used this as a half way point to stay the night on my 16 hour drive back. My wife and I travel about 5 times a year or more, it's our main hobby, off-roading and travel. With that said we have stayed at plenty of hotels over the past few years traveling the country and other than our honey moon hotel in Florida this is the nicest hotel we have stayed at and that's really saying something considering we've stayed at resorts and higher cost hotels! Upon arrival at 12AM I was exhausted and was only going to unpack the essentials since we were only staying one night but was uneasy about leaving so much luggage in my Jeep overnight. I had two dogs, my wife and two kids with me so you can imagine how packed our Jeep was. The night shift hotel manager made an exception without me even asking and allowed me to park under a reserved lighted area next to the building to give me peace of mind and mentioned that in an effort to deter crime they had security onsite and had cameras installed to add security to their hotel. It was also about 30 degrees out and she gave me doggie bags so I wouldn't have to walk to the very back of the hotel to take my dogs out! She said it was to cold for that and I agree! If you're reading this thanks again! When we got to our room I couldn't believe how clean and spacious it was for a budget hotel. Side note, pet deposit was only $20! Other hotels have charged me more than $100 which is just ridiculous. $20 sounds more reasonable and I'm okay with it. Our lower end budget room had plenty of room to move about for my entire family and felt more like a suite. Beds were great and it also had a pull out couch. The next morning I went downstairs to get my family breakfast and was impressed with all the options. Eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, yogurt, coffee, orange juice etc. and this was real food. Nothing overcooked or cheap and chemically tasting. We were actually able to get full off breakfast. Oh and it was included with our stay. Some of the other big chain hotels like Hilton are charging outrageous pet fees, high prices and you still have to pay for breakfast!! Maddening. Last, this hotel was in a great location near many stores and restaurants including our favorite Starbucks! Once again big thank you to the staff for being human and helping us out at check in. All the things done really made a difference in the ease of getting settled in. I read trip advisor reviews every time I book a hotel, I use it to search and pick one out that's how I found this hotel. I hope that my review aids you in continued success and that others will read and recognize your achievements. Thanks so much! Can't wait to come back another day!
We were actually in Lubbock for Business but our son lives there as well. The Best Western Plus is close to his condo so we stay very comfortable and really enjoyed our business/pleasure weekend. The rooms were clean and confortable and the staff was very nice.
This is the 2nd time we stayed at this hotel. We first stayed in May 2018 and appreciated the clean spacious rooms, in-room hot tub, and convenience to the ring road. When we stayed this time (October 2019) we were disappointed the in-room hot tub didn't work (room 106). Everything else was good. We brought the issue to the employee at the front desk's attention and he checked the main switch in the office. He notified us that there wasn't anything that could be done to immediately fix the situation and that he would notify management and maintenance. Good aspects of this hotel is that it is clean, comfortable, modern, and located within close proximity to the ring road, hospital/medical center, a number of medical practices, and Texas Tech University. The hotel offers a guest laundry (coin laundry) on the 2nd floor which can come in handy whilst travelling. The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool. The breakfast options were suitable for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The employees are polite, professional, and respectful. This was our 2nd stay at this hotel and I will gladly stay here again...however hopefully the in-room hot tub will work next visit as it is a relaxing feature and selling point of the room.
Have stayed at this property multiple times I book ahead of time and i happen to book this room through a third party hotels.com on a very busy weekend in Lubbock being family weekend and a football game, so the room was overpriced ($675.00 for two nights) but was given a total stay amount through the third party also I had a $20.00 gift card from Best Western for being a rewards member total stay was $675.00 with $20.00 gift card applied $655.) when we checked in my credit card was Overcharged for the room.($687.70) went back downstairs to talk to the front desk and was told to forward the email to the manager so I did and have tried multiple times to get with the manager of this property to resolve this issue and he has not responded to 3 emails and 1 phone call. The elevator needs some attention and the breakfast needs to be revamped the coffee machine has been broken for over a month not the best. I Believe this manager is running multiple properties and is doing a poor job of running this properties. I will not be staying at this location again.
My family and I were visiting a relative at the Medical Center and the hotel staff were very accommodating to our needs. Wish I could come back to take advantage of all the great amenities offered at this property.
We had the best experience at this Best Western in Lubbock. Me and my family were very pleased with, parking, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and they honored my special request for the trip. This hotel is a newer build and they take very good care of it. The staff was very friendly and had no problems and no attitudes when it came to answering my questions for the stay. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. I highly recommended this hotel for your stay in Lubbock because they aim to please their guest and make you feel welcome when you walk in the door.
Staff is so nice and welcoming. Plenty of parking space. Rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had a lot of variety and tastes very good. Beds are very comfortable. TV is just the right size. Highly recommend to everyone.
Fantastic stay at this BW. Easy drive from the airport. Plenty of parking. Very clean interior and exterior. The rooms are very big, clean and comfortable; no noise. Also a plus, was all the plugs! So easy to plug in multiple items for work use at the desk. Breakfast was nice and hot — waffles, eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, biscuits and gravy. My only complaint is that you typically, as a rewards member, get some type of welcome gift.. chips and a drink.. free room upgrade. This was the first BW that didn't acknowledge it. Always just a nice little perk for loyal customers. Overall, great stay!
We were there for a college football game and everyone there were so good! The breakfast was very good with an adequate choice of food. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area. The front desk people were extremely good,as well as the room service.
Another great sleeping experience at a BW hotel. Expected a good experience and received same. From start to finish we could not have received anything less that excellent; excellent room, excellent breakfast, excellent servie from stall. Could not have asked for anything better.
The room was clean. That's about the best I can do. If I hadn't been traveling with my husband I would have refused to stay here. It was a sketchy location along the frontage road with an unfenced trailer park out the back and it just felt a little "off." We were on a fairly lengthy road trip so we had quite a bit of stuff in our car. As soon as I walked up to the front desk I noticed a piece of paper that said we needed to bring everything in from our car because of recent auto break-ins. There was no available cart for all of our things, so we had to make several trips. Every time we were in the parking lot there were people standing around, leaning on cars, smoking and generally looking aimless. I'm not easily weirded out, but I just didn't feel safe. The staff were slow, disinterested and mildly reassured me that I had nothing to worry about because they had cameras. What good is camera footage going to do if I'm on a road trip and someone breaks into my car? Not too reassuring! If you have a known vandalism problem it's time to get a security guard to monitor the parking lot! Simply put, if I had been informed about the security problem before I booked my stay we would have definitely gone elsewhere. As for the decor, new hotel, feels old and tacky. Cheap furniture, dated colors and textiles (I'm a designer). It's hard to believe anybody made these choices on purpose!
Front desk personnel do not treat their job with professionalism. I called to make sure my reservation was processed. They said it was. Called back 10 mins later to say that they did not get the first and last name correct! I asked what they meant and they said they thought it was us but they had not actually checked the first and last name to ensure the accuracy of what they were telling me. I called corporate (or that's who I think it was) and asked if this was regular practice. They assured me it was not. About 10 minutes after getting off the phone with them, the front desk person calls and says that someone “just cancelled” and asked if I still needed the room. We ended up staying there because it was the only hotel with a room available. FYI, you'll pay 3-4x the amount the room is worth during busy time. As if that was not enough, when we called to ask if a room was available, they said yes and that it would cost $399/night. I booked online instead THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE and got the same room for $319/night. Of course, the bill didn't match any of this. And speaking of the bill, when we were trying to check out we had to call corporate again after waiting for about 20 or so minutes because the person working the desk stepped away for “five” minutes aka he was sleeping in the back. So, overall, terrible stay. Would not recommend.
This hotel is exceptional. First of all, it is convenient to anywhere in Lubbock—whether to Tech , the any medical facility shopping, dining or business. The external appearance and grounds are just immaculate...PRISTINE and quiet. THE LOBBY AND THE THE INTERIOR OF THE HOTEL HAS A COZY FEELTO IT AND MIRRORS THE OUTSIDE. For location and experience, we could not have chosen a better place to stay.
13 vehicles were vandalized when we stayed here and the police think it was an inside job by the hotel staff. Good luck Staying here. Wound up being a very expensive mistake being here!! If you do stay be sure you don't have a high deductible for your auto insurance.
We've been on the road for a while and we try to stay at places that are spacious and clean. This place fit the bill perfectly. I will say the bed could be upgraded as it wasn't exactly the most comfortable thing in the world. The moment we stepped in the place I felt like it was just nice. The staff was great and got us checked in quickly. The room was large and was more than we expected. We always book a suite so that we have room to sit and relax after traveling all day. This room was more like an apartment. The laundry room was huge and machines were clean. Check out was Smooth and breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Clean, updated rooms...only three years old. Beds were comfortable and clean. Continental Breakfast was just ok. Coffee was fresh and hot. Very friendly front desk staff. Perfect place and great value if you are passing through.
Clean rooms and friendly staff good breakfast nice swimming pool would definitely recommend to family and friends live in town but sometimes just want a get away so we go stay at this hotel try it out
We usually stay at the Sleep Inn that we like very much which is nearby and decided to try something different. Most everything about this hotel met our needs (breakfast was good, beds were comfortable, room was clean, and friendly staff was great). The one thing that did not meet our needs was the bathroom. We booked a room with a king bed which was arranged in a strange configuration which was fine (bed was on opposite wall across from the window), but it came with a walk in shower that was so narrow my elbows hit the sides. What made it even worse was the lousy water pressure coming from a shower head that was not cooperating. After the first night I was almost tempted to call and request another room. Other than this particular room, everything else was great.
Great value for this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. My kids enjoyed taking a dip in the pool, and they also liked the breakfast. We left our vacation early due to unexpectedly undesirable accommodations. We stopped here on the way home, and were very happy with our stay.
Very comfortable quiet loved the jacuzzi in the room and very clean service amd staff were excellent Delicious and fresh breakfast Location was excellent everything needed was close by shopping and restaurants
Very clean and comfortable. Handy to many things. Staff was great and very accommodating. The property is new and well maintained. They put me on the top floor so there would be less noise so I could sleep during day.
No parking available on premises or close to premises for vehicles with trailers. Not as "pet friendly" as other places I have stayed. Had to take the dog through the lobby to get to our room. Found for the first time that our dog is deathly afraid of elevators. Stairs to the 3rd floor!
Exterior was pretty clean. Had a room with a jacuzzi. Had to clean the tub, the bed had someone else's hair on the sheets. Toilet seat was broken, closet door was off track. When brought to the attention of management the response was, “Oh yeah. That's been like that.” We were not expecting adjoining rooms, especially when we asked for a jacuzzi tub. We could hear our neighbor's conversations on the other side of the door with our tv on. Overall, not a bad place to stay but will definitely look for an upgrade if I'm ever back in the area.
We prefer to stay at this hotel when we are passing through the area on our travels. It is always clean and the staff are friendly. We were comfortable and able to get a good night rest to complete our travels. The front desk was dealing with a difficult situation when I came in and he did he best to assist while he finished the task he was in the middle of.
Stayed here half way driving from Houston to Albuquerque. Needed a motel that would accept a pet. Nice location on the west side of town. Looks brand new and very clean. A better free breakfast compared to most with friendly staff. Overall an excellent value. Minor observation of a design flaw between the room door and bathroom door. Bathroom door open blocks exit. Just know. Will definitely stay there again without hesitation.
Back in town again for graduation. Like this location close to loop , near child's housing. Rooms are spacious & thermostat works. Would like it if they went back to regular size pillows..the little squares are not my favorite. Breakfast was good and slightly different choices on 2nd night. Always keep this one on the top 10 list in town. Pretty modern built in last 4 yrs. King suites have jacuzzi tubs in the rooms.
The Best Western Tech Inn was a great place to stay for my niece's graduation from Texas Tech. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff was great! Alex at check-in took care of us. The manager, Chris, and I had 2 different email conversations before our stay concerning extra rooms. Breakfast was nice...eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal. Overall, a wonderful place to stay that's close to Tech.
Great hotel. It appears to be newer than most in the area and modern in appearance. Very friendly staff and super clean rooms. Good hot breakfast every morning. I'll definitely be back next time I travel to Lubbock.
Second time at this hotel. Very please. The staff is afflatus smiling and very helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The waffles are one of my favorites. E were in Lubbock To Visit Texas Tech and the location was very convenient. We'll be back again!
We stopped here on our way to Colorado for spring break, we let them know we would be arriving late and we needed 3 rooms together. We arrived around 1am, everything went smooth, check in was fast. The room was confortable and clean. Would stay here again.
This is a quiet location hotel and we have found it to be a great place to stay when we go to Women's National Basketball Tournaments. An easy jaunt over to Rip Griffin Center. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Front desk staff was not very friendly. Check-in was easy and the hotel is modern in style and rooms are clean. However, the pool heater was broken, they only make one plate of cookies for the entire hotel a day, the coffee in the lobby was cold, and I've had much better breakfasts at other hotel chains. Probably would not stay here again.
The decor at this hotel is beautiful both inside and outside! What really surprised me was the breakfast, they have cooked to order eggs and that was neat. The room was comfortable and a new feel to it. I loved staying here and when I return I'll definitely stay here again! Manager helped with all my needs and always asked how everything with my stay was going. It's good to know that general managers are still involved in the day to day. 10/10 would recommend!!
clean hotel, friendly staff, very up to date modern décor and vibe was very positive, newer hotel and easy access on and off of the main roadway, close to a lot of things to do, and easy to navigate the area.
We were in town for a baseball game. We arrived after midnight and Ethan was so helpful and considerate. The room was clean and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was really good and the lady working it was helpful and so nice. I would definitely recommend staying here
Hotel was easy to find, close to University Medical Center, and very nicely decorated. As it turned out we had a medical emergency and had to continue our stay daily for most of a week. They were very caring and accommodating! Nice stop! Full breakfasts! Good beds!
Very friendly staff. Rooms are clean, breakfast is great except for waffles. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Our bathtub was dirty the first night. The next morning we mentioned it to the cleaning lady. When we came back to our room the bathtub was very clean. Great place to stay if you want to be close to the university. Price is very reasonable.
Awesome wonderful place with amazing staff made us feel so welcomed. Will definitely visit again! Such a beautiful place I absolutely love the decor. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff is so friendly and caring.
I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. I don't even know where to start. As a dual master's student, wife and mother I like to get a way and take a break at least once a month at Lubbock hotels and Best Western at this location takes the cake. The hotel had a very clean smell from the moment that I walked in and it wasn't the type of smell that you just know that filth is being concealed through over kill of deodorizer. The lobby had rehearsing cucumber water and fresh coffee. Check-in was quick and easy. The front desk person was very kind and was quick to tell me to let her know if we needed anything. We informed her that were there to swim and she promptly accommodated us near the pool. My room was very clean from the minute that I walked in knew that the room had been cleaned properly. Beds and pillows were the most comfortable that I have been able to find in Lubbock. We were near an entrance and the walls were still thick enough to where we were not awakened by commotion all night. My children and I swam, and the maintenance team were sure to make sure that the pool was an appropriate temperature for us. Now breakfast! The breakfast was hands down worth at least $10 dollars a person. The selection is enough to fit needs of all types to people who need to snag a bit on the go to catch a flight to people who have enough time to sit and eat. I have a son with autism, and I have a difficult time getting him to eat and even he was able to eat more than I am usually able to get him to eat. If you need a hotel in Lubbock, try out this Best Western. You won't be disappointed by the staff, room, smell, pool, or even the breakfast. Best Western is a real class act and is worthy of your money.
Wife and I have stayed here numerous times. Every room has always been very clean, as is the entire hotel. Can't get much better service, Both prompt and courteous. If you have a special request, they try to help you out. Convenient to Tech and room rates have been very good for a BW Plus. We're returning home from a ski trip (we're in mid 60s) and got the in room jacuzzi this time for aching muscles. Kudos to Nathan at front desk and Chris the manager.
Located in a good area. Relatively new hotel. It is kept very clean and up to date. Staff was helpful and efficient. Breakfast was continental with enough variety including fruits. I'll recommend this location to anybody.
The hotel was very clean and had a nice jacuzzi in it! Everything was great, our only issue was the jets did not work in ours jacuzzi, we told them when checking out and they apologized, but we were not super concerned with.
We stayed twice at this hotel during this past week on our way to and back from our vacation. We were pleasantly surprised. This was our first time staying at a Best Western. The staff was very courteous and friendly. I made a mistake on my reservation date when I booked online. Brenda was very professional and helpful during checkin process and told me that she would follow up with her manager to see if they could assist me. Her manager, Bridget, was very helpful as well and assisted us with resolving the issue. We were very happy with the room and the overall service and will definitely go back to this Best Western anytime we drive through Lubbock. Thank you Brenda ad Bridget!!!
I stayed at this hotel on my way from Austin, Texas to Durango, Colorado for a family Christmas vacation. The hotel was very clean and appeared to be very modern. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is great. There are many choices and, although they do offer the standard hotel waffles, the choice of hot foods included sausage, eggs (real eggs), hash browns and biscuits & gravy, along with many of the traditional continental breakfast items. My family's overall experience was so good that we stayed there on the way back from Colorado as well! Thank you Best Western!
We were driving through Texas on our way to New Mexico and needed to stop for the night to sleep. I was not expecting much (price well below $100 a night), but the price was right. I have stayed in hotels 2-3 times as expensive and not nearly as nice as this Best Western Plus. Although 2 years old, the place looked brand new. The halls and rooms and bathrooms were scrupulously clean. Decor was soft contemporary and very pleasing to the eyes. The rooms were large, the ceilings impossibly tall, and amenities were plenty. My pet peeve are limited numbers of small bath towels, but we had 4 very large fluffy white bath towels for 2 people. Although in dispensers, the lotions and shampoos were high quality (I actually washed my hair with them, which I hardly ever do and was very pleased). Beds were extremely comfortable with no worn lumps, and multiple fluffy clean pillows. Free breakfast was much better than expected (the ubiquitous waffle maker was present), but additional items offered (e.g. fresh scrambled eggs, BACON, hash brown potatoes, Yogurts, homemade yogurt parfaits etc) were more and better quality than I have had at more expensive motels in the past. The lady working the breakfast area was so attentive, making sure all of the food was topped off and she thoroughly cleaned all surfaces when vacated by breakfast eaters. The people at the desk were also attentive and gave us a excellent dinner recommendation (Aspen Creek Grill - close to motel, best inexpensive steak dinner I have ever had). Seriously, I never expected such high quality and service at a Best Western in Lubbock, Texas. I highly recommend staying here!
Friendly and professional staff. Great location easy travel to work. Clean room, gym, and the breakfast is the BOMB. The room are just nice and clean bed so comfortable. This is best hotel in Lubbock!
We stayed here for Texas Tech graduation. A little pricey for that weekend but given the occasion, it was more reasonable than most. Rooms were very quiet except for elephant above us once in a while. No problem at night. Good view. Helpful staff. Very clean. I'd stay again.
The rooms are super clean and spacious. The reception is always friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for our type of visit to family there. The hot breakfast is amazing, the restaurant and kitchen area looks clean and very organized.
It was a great stay! Beautiful new hotel with great amenities. I loved the brand of bathroom soaps and shampoos. The room was so comfortable and beautiful. My bed was perfect; got a great night sleep each night (5 night stay). My daughter went swimming in the pool and for being a winter month the indoor pool was perfect entertainment for her. I enjoyed breakfast every morning.... my favorite was the fresh parfaits.
nice Best Western; a location that could be better since it"s on the outskirts of the city, but once you get to know the streets and the loop road, it's fairly easy to get anywhere in Lubbock. Lack of luggage racks in our room and told none available doesn't show good PR. Noisy doors on the first floor; you could hear everyone coming and going to their rooms in the evening and morning.
When my apartment flooded and I was displaced for a week, I chose to stay at the Best Western Plus in Lubbock. The service I received was exceptional. I used their Fitness Center and Pool daily as well as the complimentary breakfast every morning. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helped turn my nightmare into a mini vacation.
Really did like our stays there. We've been there several times and enjoyed that my granddaughters lived about one or two blocks away. Everything we needed was available. The allowed us to come in a little early to get ready to go see the doctor.
I inform the staff by calling and going downstairs regarding the HOT AC and the low pressure water and drainage issues. The staff seems not to care and stated that the issues will be notes and give to maintenance when he show up. Therefore We had to sleep in a HOT room, Only thing I can say about this hotel is the breakfast was good.
Lubbock is about the half way point while driving from San Antonio to Santa Fe. We selected this Best Western hotel because it was on our route and, Best Western provides a consistent product in comfort and amenities at all their hotels. We were well rested and ready to continue our trip the following day.
As a hotel clerk for many years. The Best Western plus is a wonderful hotel to stay in. The indoor pool is inviting I took my three kids all under the age of 12 they really enjoyed, plus pet friendly. The staff is very helpful breakfast had something for all of my picky eaters.
We stay in Lubbock often for travel and medical appointments. This was our first stay at this property. It is two years old, well kept, and very nicely appointed. It is also convient to medical centers and Texas Tech. We will definitely stay here again.
Newer Best Western Plus, very nice and clean. Convenient to most locations. Breakfast was very good. We stayed for a conference that was in the area. The room service feature was a good perk. We will stay hee again when we come back.
We had been traveling all day and were worn out. In West Texas there were few places to stop coming from Kansas. The places we did see along the way did not have parking for our 44 foot fifth wheel. It was Tuesday night about 10:00 at night and called the hotel from the road. The two amazing girls not only got me a room on the first floor but they took the time to make sure we could get our camper in the parking lot. We looked as hungry and tired as we felt. They immediately went and got us snacks and water. Y'all were absolutely awesome!! The next morning the young lady who checked us out was just as kind. The manager should be very proud of the employees running the hotel!!!
Long story short, we had booked a room at the La Quinta for the weekend and we arrived to a room that smelled disgusting, then given an alternate which then smelled like Mexican food, carpet was pulled back in a corner with a blackout curtain falling off the window. I call this BWP across 289 and explained my situation given it was 11:30 at night. They set me up fast with a room. Ashley and Shena were awesome and we're very friendly and professional. Then to top it off, the hotel delivered with being clean, comfortable and in like new condition. Will be my hotel of choice when visiting Lubbock from now on.
Beautiful new hotel. Wonderful welcome even at 1 a.m. All staff were very nice. Yummy hot breakfast. Easy checkout and GREAT COFFEE. Indoor pool was a welcome treat. Would go back to Lubbock just to stay there.
I was amazed at the king suite....large sitting area, separate dining area, and a true bedroom suite with a door. Beautiful decor. Great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this Best Western.
Clean and comfortable. Good parking, Good value. Close to UMC. Easy access from main thoroughfare. Quiet. Good breakfast. Cold A/C. Comfortable bed. Good linens. Efficient staff. Have stayed here a couple times.
We pulled the sheets back to find multiple stains on the bottom sheets, spills in the restroom area, and no towels or wash cloths. Other than this it was good but sleeping on dirty or stained sheets makes all other things irrelevant.
Loved the convenience of this hotel to everything I needed to do while in Lubbock. Easy access to the hotel and hospital and restaurants! I highly recommend this hotel! The staff was also very friendly and helpful with anything we needed during our stay!
Not many frils but very close to dr offices. Breakfast is so so but not bad for price of room. Cleanliness is noticed as soon ad you step into front door. The smokers need to position themselves further away from door opening though and use disposal devices appropriately.
Stayed at a different place my first trip to Lubbock, so I was initially disappointed. This hotel was uncommonly clean. Found breakfast to be very good. The grounds and the hotel inside was nice, pleasant, and clean. Well maintained for sure. Next time in Lubbock, I'll stay here.
I went to Lubbock to attend a wedding and stayed at this lovely hotel. It seems like a new hotel and everything is so clean and nice! The room was very quiet and it was so nice to have a microwave and little refrigerator. The location is wonderful because it was easy on and off the loop. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was really good.
Beautiful hotel friendly staff.conveint to medical buildings and off of 289 loop in lubbock texas.heart hospital across on other side of loop. Lots of Shopping close by and many restaurants not far away
I stayed at this hotel from July 8-12 and I would recommend this hotel to looking for a first class hotel in Lubbock, Texas. The front desk was very polite and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job.
This has not only become our "go to" place to stay when in Lubbock but my girlfriend and I stay here when we come to get our hair done from Midland. We feel safe, staff is has always been pleasant and the location is perfect! See you again soon!
Room 110 was clean, large and roomy with two beds, a table and two chairs, TV on a chest of drawers, and a separate coffee bar that held the microwave and fridge. The remote was in a bag marked "fresh." Bed and pillows were comfortable. There is a wall mirror. All floor and table lamps - no overhead lighting. Dark enough for sleeping. Well-lit bathroom with separate lights over sink and tub. Granite bathroom vanity with cubby holes below for towels. Soap dish and lots of towels in the bathroom. Bathroom door opened into the room which gave more bathroom space. Breakfast good with choice of waffles, biscuits, bacon, eggs, hash browns, cereal, juice, etc. Nice décor in the breakfast area with a pretty light fixture. Had problems regulating the shower head and the fridge coils froze up and quit cooling. Informed check-out and was advised that she would pass on this info. Chose this hotel based on reviews; would stay again.
My son and I stayed at this Best Western Plus for a college visit to Tech. I searched the choices on the internet and chose this one for its good reviews and lower price and was highly satisfied. I am quite impressed that it was less expensive than most of the other hotels in town but felt new and was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was typical of a complimentary breakfast but a nice eating area and the food was fine. It was very convenient to reach Texas Tech the next morning. I have high standards but was completely satisfied with our room and stay.
definitely a place to feel welcome and great price and the room was perfect will definitely stay again as I will recommend this hotel to others and I would love to see other meats on breakfast bar that would be a great plus as well as freshly cut fruit
This hotel is located on the N Loop Road, which is easily accessible to Texas Tech and the Medical Center. The reason for 4 stars "very good" instead of 5 stars "excellent" is because the fire alarm sounded and caused worry and confusion for guests. Other than that, the hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious, and the hotel offers an average breakfast in a large dining area. The décor in the foyer is lovely and inviting. We enjoyed the in-room hot tub.
Everything was great! The employees enjoyed being at work and taking care of the guest. You really do not see that much anymore. Keep doing what you are doing. It is working. When I am back in the area, I will definitely stay here again!
We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Very new property, tastefully decorated, well maintained. My wife enjoyed the in room whirlpool tub. Very quiet in our room. Would definitely stay here again.
Having stayed at Best Western Tech Medical Plus multiple times, I can very confidently say this is one of the absolute best hotels in Lubbock! The location is fantastic, the building and its rooms are new and excellent, and the staff here are truly exceptional! I would like to especially thank Ms. Diane who was incredible hospitable when making the bookings and checking in. She really went above and beyond to help my wife and I feel welcome and helped us with getting acquainted in Lubbock. She is truly an exceptional person and is so kind and helpful! I would also like to thank one of the managers, Mr. Chris who was also very kind and helpful. He is a tremendous manager and person! Many thanks also to Ms. Samantha and Ms. Cecilia who were both fantastic as well! Overall this hotel is a total gem! Great location, great rooms, and most importantly great people! Ms. Diane, Mr. Chris and team you are all rockstars! Thanks very much indeed!
don't stay here. no where near the 100-150 dollars a night they charge. Hot breakfast is just some scrambled eggs with breakfast meat added to the continental breakfast you can get elsewhere. WIll not be going back
Hard to knock on a brand-new place, so if you can get a good deal here, it's worth the stay. The only thing I have to mention that's a slight disappointment to me, is the AC noise. Why these brand-new places opt for the noisier AC units (deep/loud humming whenever the condenser turns on), beats me. But for those that aren't bothered by relatively slight inconveniences like that, or if you're staying during cooler weather, this is one of only 2 places in Lubbock I'd stay at again. Very friendly service, very well-appointed and sized rooms, incredibly comfortable beds, and easy access to freeways/University/Medical Center.
Very clean and nice environment. The hotel is near a main highway that will lead you to almost anywhere you need to go. The breakfast is always hot and offers a variety of food. I always enjoy my stay at the BEST WESTER PLUS, and it is close to Texas Tech University Health Science Center
Hotel was clean and easy to get too. Not a lot nearby so it was a short drive to get anything. They didn't get food be because of the towels. They were very rough and actually too small. The room had a spa tub which was nice.
This was my 5th or 6th stay within the last few months at this location. Most definitely has become my new home away from home. It is so convenient to many things like the sports facility we attended for volleyball, restaurants and shopping. The staff was pleasant. The room was very comfortable I will be and spacious. I will be back in June!!
We have been staying here since Jan 2018 due to a family emergency. Everyone has been great. The rooms and hotel are always clean. The breakfast is fresh. We come and go at different times and the staff is always asking how we are and how the family is doing... awesome hotel will always stay here
We recently stayed at the Best Western Medical Center for a quick visit to Lubbock. The hotel is located right off the North side of the Loop and Slide, easy on and off the highway and close to Texas Tech. Its fairly new, ample parking, and friendly staff. Checkin was quick and easy. The rooms were spacious & clean. The two rooms we had both had a small fridge and microwave. The bathrooms were clean, and stocked with toiletries. The shower was hot, but the water pressure not so great. One of our rooms had a shower only, the other a shower and tub combo. The air conditioner kept the rooms cold at night, and the hallways were not too noisy, even on the weekend. There was quite an array of breakfast items, waffles, bagels, toast, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, etc, even later in the morning. All in all, we would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay, it was a nice, clean and new property. It was a convenient location and breakfast was great . We noticed the room next to ours had a barking dog, so be warned pets are allowed. The front desk offered to help but luckily the dog settled down and we didn't
This hotel was nice and new with a bright parking lot and right off the freeway. Rooms were nice and big with comfortable beds. The only thing is this hotel doesn't have a spa which I like to relax in at night after long drives. But I would recommend this hotel.
A great place to stay while in Lubbock! This hotel is located in close proximity to the hospital district, Texas Tech campus, major shopping areas ,and entertainment with easy access from any part of the city. Hotel staff was courteous and extremely helpful. The room at first glance was very spacious and inviting. The room was also adequately equipped and very clean. Beds were incredibly comfortable. The hotel also provided a great variety of options in their continental breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel for any purpose when coming to Lubbock.
I booked and stayed here while my Dad underwent total knee replacement surgery at nearby Lubbock Heart Hospital. The main reason I chose this hotel was for the convenience of being close by to relieve my mom from hospital duties and rest. Based on recent reviews, I was certain this hotel would be great. I would soon find out it was not. Positives: The check in was smooth and the receptionist (at that time) was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and at first everything seemed to be in working order. Negatives: The phone would not dial the front desk nor would it dial out. I needed to ring the front desk after discovering that a light was out in the bathroom and there were no batteries for the remote. I was staying there alone and did not feel comfortable going back down to lobby to ask because of the "crowd" hanging out with the receptionist when I entered for the night. I chose to just go to bed without T.V. and no way to reach front desk. The next morning I dressed and left a very nice note for housekeeping with the remote dismantled asking for batteries and even left a tip. My mother came over and showered and dressed and as she left mentioned to the housekeeper nearby in the hallway that our room needed a light in the bathroom and we needed batteries for remote and the phone was not working properly. She said she would get right on it and alert maintenance to the light issue. When I returned from the hospital that evening - there were some men hanging out chatting it up and laughing with the receptionist trying on a kimono and not even acknowledging my presence. I headed upstairs to find that not only were there STILL no batteries for remote, the light was still out and the ROOM HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED. I had no way to call the front desk and had to call the hotel from my cell phone - it took FOREVER for the receptionist to answer - probably because she was still flirting. After complaining only to hear her tell me I would have to call back in the morning for several minutes - I finally got her to agree to send batteries and fresh towels. I then waited another 20 minutes for someone and when the man who I'm not sure even really worked there gave me towels (he was dressed in regular clothes with no sign that he worked there) and guess what?? STILL NO BATTERIES FOR THE REMOTE! I went to bed feeling unsafe and upset that my room was not clean and had no TV to watch and no light in the bathroom. No one was at the desk the next morning for me to talk to - I left and my husband called for the manager later in the day. He was not willing to work with us or even speak to my husband personally on phone. He had the receptionist call back and say they would discount our room for $10.00 off. REALLY? I am not a complainer and have never written a bad report. I am not even that picky. The service was unacceptable especially when you run a hotel near a hospital. The service should be even more stepped up because your clientele is tired and ready for a nice, safe place to rest not have to wrangle with the help to get a clean room that is in working order. I would have rather slept in the fold out hard bed at hospital.
I'm originally from Lubbock but moved away and I recently just came back from a trip from Honolulu hi to Lubbock. Let me tell you, I am extremely satisfied with the great service that my sister and I received. I booked out my stay about 2 weeks before I was scheduled to stay. Well due to weather I arrived a day early and Chris the general manager told me that he had a room for me and he even offered to give me the same rate I paid per night when I booked through priceline.com. When I drove in about 730 pm I checked and was put on the 4th floor. I took my suitcases up the elevator and then decided to leave and get dinner. I was gone about 30 mins and when I returned they told me the elevator was out. I mentioned that it sucked because I had bad knees, but I was told they were working to get it fixed. I said ok because I know it takes time to get things fixed but due to the hour of night it wouldn't be seen until the next morning. I work in facilities so I under stand. So I go up to my room and go to bed. Btw beds are so comfy! The next morning I get up and get dressed and go downstairs using stairs because the elevator was still out. Chris the gm apologized and offered to move my to the 1st or 2nd floor but I declined due to the fact I had to get to the airport to pickup my sister. When we returned Chris told us they had to order a part so it could be a few days and told me I could still move rooms, but again we decline. We come down the next day for breakfast, which was delicious, fresh eggs, bacon, hash browns waffles, etc. best yet, and Chris offers us the room again. We finally accepted the offer and then moved. Chris did offer to send some employees up to move us but we didn't mind doing it ourselves. When we go in to our next room we were extremely shocked to find he moved us to a room with jacuzzi tub which was an upgrade we never paid for. I was surprised but I remember Chris mentioned that he couldn't believe how understanding we had been with the situation. I had witnessed many other people from other rooms going down complaining and threatening the night crew but there was literally nothing anybody could do about the broken elevator. When people were disrespecting the night crew I witnessed the night crew remain polite and apologize repeatedly, with the guests getting more upset. I felt bad for the employees. I look at it like this I would rather for a hotel to shut down and elevator rather than doing like some cheap owners would continue running or do a temp fix to get it running safety not mattering. I also had a chance to have a few conversations with housekeeper Rosie! She was the sweetest I have even met! The day I had to drop my sister at the airport to leave I came back to find Rosie left me candy and a note on my bed, thanking me on behalf of best western! Overall, this was the best hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at hotels all over the world. I will definitely be staying here again. The hotel is new and is still settling so things will happen but how staff handled the situations were a plus! I am a federal employee and a disabled veteran!
We stayed here passing through Lubbock heading back home and it was very nice, clean, great location. Beds were super comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to families and anyone needing a great hotel. We stayed here with our 8 year old granddaughter. Very nice hotel!
Wonderful customer service from the staff and especially the manager as well as lovely rooms. A+ all around. Awesome amenities like a laundry room, workout, heated pool, and free breakfast with a rad Texas shaped waffle maker.
Great stay!! very nice and clean. Had very nice staff. The room was great really enjoyed the outlets on the nightstand really convenient to charge phones and laptops. Breakfast was great definitely enjoyed our weekend. Would definitely come back.
Best Western is a great option for those traveling with pets. This Best Western hotel is very clean, has comfortable beds, a great hot breakfast and friendly staff. Definitely exceeded our expectations.
Friendly staff, comfortable beds, updated rooms and a nice breakfast waiting for you in the morning! Location was perfect for reaching TTU hospital and nearby shopping and dinner. Would stay at this Best Western Plus again.
Must be good. Since discovering it this was our 5th stay there this year. It is a new facility a little off by itself but has good access to medical facilities, dining, and shopping. We have always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.
Stayed here to be close to family member we had at UMC, hotel was only minutes away from the hospital. Newer hotel so looked very nice upon arrival. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was really nice and clean. Breakfast was really good with a nice selection of hot breakfast items and cold items. Overall I had a wonderful stay here and would definitely stay here again. Also would strongly recommend to anyone needing a hotel in Lubbock.
This hotel was excellent! Great service, the breakfast was very good, and staff was super helpful. Great location, easy to get in and out. Close to Texas Tech. Very nice indoor pool!! Wireless Internet was easy to use. Room slept 5 of us very comfortable.
Our stay here was very comfortable. The cleanliness of the hotel was the best! Staff is very helpful. And we absolutely loved the variety of breakfast we had. Our room got clean daily, received new linen and towels each day without having to ask. Thank you Best Western Plus!
I reserved a King room with a jacuzzi for my first vacation in 15 years. The room I had reserved, which was supposed to be ready upon my late arrival, was not clean at all. The room had long curly black hair in the sink, and what appeared to be pubic hairs in the tub. I was given another room with only a queen sized bed and no jacuzzi, but wasn't told it was a downgrade until after we were already entering the new room. The room rate was only adjusted to be $5. less than the original room.Yes, they offer a free breakfast. You have to be in the dining room between 6 am and 10 am. Also, if you have need of an "accessible" room, you might want to be very specific about your needs and make sure they have exactly what you need. Finally, they do not have a porter or bell-hop. If you need assistance with luggage you might try to make arrangements in advance, or seek another hotel. I will not stay at this particular hotel again.
Since discovering this hotel about nine months ago, I have stayed here about 4 times. The staff has consistently been friendly and very competent. The hotel is well maintained and relatively new. I have never experienced any problem with the facility or service received. I would not hesitated to recommend to friends or family that this be the choice if they are going to Lubbock.
When we first moved to TX in 2010, we went on several trips to NM. On these trips we stayed in several hotels in Lubbock. None of these hotels pleased us more than the BW Plus Tech Medical Center Inn. We've already planned on making this our only hotel to stay during our future trips through Lubbock.
Arriving an hour later than expected, my boys and I were beyond exhausted. The sweet young girl at the front desk greeted our tired faces with a sweet smile. Handing me my key, she thoughtfully distracted my 10yr old son from his new found toy (front desk bell) by offering him a bottle of water in a snack. She did her job exceptionally well, tended to a fidgety child - all without missing a beat. Well done! & Thank you for another restful weekend.
Stayed here for a weekend with the kids, staff was nice and attentive, breakfast was good and the attendant was always cleaning, the rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. We didn't use the gym but walked by it on the way to check out the pool. We will def be staying here the next time we decide to stay in Lubbock.
My daughter had a Dr. appointment and we had to stay over night this hotel was convenient for our quick trip the staff was very helpful and accommodating great breakfast and after a stressful day at the dr it was nice to relax by the heated pool
My brother in law lives in Lubbock and we went to visit for the weekend nice clean hotel very friendly staff wonderful breakfast. staying here made our weekend visit very enjoyable will definitely be staying here in the future
This Best Western motel is attractive inside and out. You can practically smell the "new". It is conveniently located to the Heart Hospital and eateries. The price was fair for such a nice location/property.
so clean and comfortable, with a friendly excellent staff. I stay here four or five times a year, for five to six days and everything is always excellent.I highly recommend this hotel for any purpose when coming to Lubbock.
My daughter and I stayed at this property while attending a Texas Tech preview weekend. The hotel is quite close to campus and also convenient to new restaurants and a movie theater. Everything in the hotel felt new and clean and modern. We had a large room with two queen beds and an area with an arm chair and sofa. What luxury for the bargain price of this hotel. The free breakfast was wonderful with eggs, crispy bacon, muffins, juice, coffee and tea, etc. Should our plans bring us back to Lubbock, we will definitely stay here again.
It's home when we show up to stay! Ana, Chris, the head housekeeper and Stephanie the breakfast cook are wonderful. We had an issue with the frig not working this time and it was switched out immediately. We love the jacuzzi suite! Ok Cucumber/lemon water is always available in the lobby, good parking, and the price is excellent. We don't stay on game weekends. This is located on the northwest side across from the heart hospital. It's easy to take the loop anywhere you need to go in town. The only suggestion I have is to provide a softer pillow option.
The staff is always kind and if I need anything, they quickly take care of it. It's clean and the bed and pillows are awesome! This place is kept very clean and the breakfasts are always good. Will always stay here while in Lubbock.
We started looking for a room a month before our stay and there were no rooms available due to family week at Texas Tech. We needed a room for 2 nights but got for one. The hotel and everything about place was nice. Breakfast was good, bed was very comfortable, room was nice and neat. Would stay again if not so pricey.
Excellent service, very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, efficient and personable employees who greeted me with a smile and made sure I was serviced promptly. I recommend this Best Western hotel to anyone visiting Lubbovk.
Everything was excellent. Good Service, beautiful room and best of all excellent price! I was pleasantly surprised to find a jetted tub in the middle of my room. Everything was spotless. I always have to ask for coffee for my room because they don't restock--but coffee was there. Just a top notch hotel. With taxes and everything my stay was 90.00
Motel is nicely located for the hospital district and for shopping and entertainment with easy access from any part of the city. The staff is courteous and extremely helpful. The hotel is clean and inviting, always at the top of my list.
The hotel was fairly new and was clean. Some staff were very helpful, others not helpful at all. The main problem was that the mattress and pillows were lumpy and soft. I couldn't sleep because I was so uncomfortable.
Very nice hotel for the price, very convenient to everything. The breakfast was good. The staff was very nice. The only problem we encountered was that every day our room keys would stop working but we just went to the front desk and they corrected it each time, a little hassle, but no biggie. Will definitely stay here again
This Best Western feels just like a luxury hotel and rooms were immaculate. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. I visited the indoor pool and it has the coolest flooring and sides I have ever seen at a pool. Everyone at the hotel was very nice, courteous and helpful. I would definitely love to stay here again anytime.
Great place to stay when staying for medical reasons, hospital visits and vacations in Lubbock Texas. Breakfast was hot, tasty and satisfying. Rooms comfortable but loud color combinations. Could use microwave popcorn and ice cream in sundry room for purchase by guests.
Very clean and beautiful place.. Staff is wonderful. Chris is very professionaland always helpful. We love staying. Can't say enough about how well we are taken care of. Room is spacious Pool is womderful. We come to Lubbock for medical reasons very close to hospitals. Chris and his staff are very professional. Chris is always very courteous and caring to all our needs. Would not stay any other place. Chris iis always professional, courteous and caring . This is
We had a great stay at this Best Western Plus. It's relatively new and very well maintained. We arrived early hoping to check in and leave our bags. The desk clerk called housekeeping for a room and assign it to us, then realized it was a suite instead of a king room that we reserved. She upgraded us for free - very nice! Both clerks at the desk when we checked in and out were Texas Tech students. They were very professional and was fun to visit with them about their majors and career plans.
The staff is friendly and attentive! Breakfast hot and the location is easy access. I booked my visit last during graduation. The general manager made sure I had a room on short nilotice and that the rate was above expections! Thanks for a great experience!
We needed to spend the night in Lubbock and be close to the hospital so we got a room here. I loved the ambiance as soon as you walk through the doors. We had a really nice, clean room and I liked that they gave you a fresh remote control. We had a quick breakfast in the morning and they had a nice selection of breakfast items. Checking in and out were fast and easy and the staff was nice and polite.
The mattress was a brick. I physically could not walk the next day. I asked for another room but the front desk employee couldn't have cared less. The shower was filthy! Just gross. Plus I shared the elevator with the housekeepers who were complaining about having so many rooms to clean. This made me laugh since they clearly weren't cleaning the rooms properly. Was supposed to return later in the month, I canceled that reservation.
Texas Tech families this is a great place to call home while visiting your children or students. The hotel itself was great it was very clean and inviting. The staff was fantastic. They couldn't have done anything anymore to make it better. They even made me a pot of decaf coffee late late one night. Location was awesome. Close to everything most importantly for me the school. I'm glad I found the place to call home while visiting my baby (which will be often)
This hotel is very clean? The rooms are great and comfy. The value and location also great. Service lacking, rude, dismissive staff. If you don't care about interaction with the staff this is a great hotel.
The Inn is fairly new. It is close to Texas Tech, and is next to fields belonging to them - but Texas Tech has a lot of land - so the campus is a little ways off. But the campus is easily accessed by Texas Tech Parkway. Breakfast is very good at this Best Western, and served in a nice space with plenty of outlets and data ports.
We came to Lubbock to help our son to move back home. We stayed here in December when our son graduated from Texas Tech and was very pleased with the hotel. The hotel was nice and the breakfast was very good. The staff was very professional and helpful both times with stayed there.
This will now be our new "place to "stay" When we are in Lubbock. It is clean, friendly staff, we'll located, and fairly priced. The only thing I'd change were the linens. They were somewhat rough and seemed cheaper than would have expected.
Had need to stay in Lubbock prior to doctor's appointment. New property that offered a very good rate (approx 90 w tax). Our king room was spacious. comfortable, and clean. Shower (no tub) and toilet in separate room with fair amount of wasted space. My criticisms would be: the shower head was installed very high and I couldn't reach it to adjust; the shower door, when opened, made a good sized puddle causing some rust and a lot of grout in the floor tile was gone; and. the pillows were rather lumpy. If you stay here ask for a room on the back side of the hotel, away from the interstate traffic. Breakfast was decent fare in a small but attractive room. For the money this was a good place to stay.
In Lubbock on a family trip and they made us feel right at home. Great MADE TO ORDER breakfast...we had homemade breakfast burritos that were huge and wonderful! The bed and pillows are the type that let you fall asleep almost immediately...very comfortable. AC is quiet. Room has every thing you need, and if you require anything, the folks at the front desk are at your beck and call. Wonderful hotel and staff. Would definitely stay again.
facilities are new(1 year old), decor is nice and beds are comfortable. includes a nice breakfast too! We were able to bring our dog which is important to us, however it would be nice if other pet owners picked up after their pets as we do.
Everything felt really clean and comfortable. It's location isn't near any restaurants in terms of walking distance, which is kind of a downer; however, there are many restaurants approximately 5 miles down the road. The breakfast was slightly better than expected, which was a plus. If I'm ever back in Lubbock I'll be sure to stay here again!
I would recommend this hotel to any kind of traveler; it has comfy beds, competitive prices, quality and diverse breakfast items, as well as easy to use Wi-Fi. I have done a lot of travelling and stayed at a lot of hotels in my 50+ years, and this one makes my top 5 faves. Will stay here again.
I arrived at the hotel after working a 13 hour day, no buggy that happens. What usually doesn't happen is the following. First room they gave me had a do not disturb sign on the door, I went back to the desk and the gal said oh it's ok go ahead and go in. I went back to room and went in there was no one there but the room was trashed. Ok again it happens so I get another room. I go to it and the bed had been made, and that was it there were towels soap or shampoo in the bathroom. There was a half full coffee cup on the counter, a dirty bar of soap in the shower and no shower curtain. I travel a lot and have stayed at some pretty seedy places but never have I run across anything like this. I'll never be back, and will recommend anyone coming to the area find some where else to stay. Very discusted.
Booked a one room with two queen size beds for my family. We called in advance that we were going to be late for check in and arrived very late after midnight. The night clerk was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and well furnished. Although I did call the clerk to ask if they can fix the sliding door for the wardrobe/cabinet to be fixed but they never did (it's wasn't a bother to me since I didn't use it). The breakfast was good, my kids looked forward to the server every morning for a nice conversation. She was always cheery and nice. The pool was small but my kids enjoyed swimming in it for a few minutes. Overall it was a nice stay for more than a couple of days.
This hotel is convenient, as it is just off of north Loop 289 near Quaker. The room was an average room for this type of hotel, but quite nice. I only stayed one night and did not try the breakfast. Nothing about the hotel here, but if you do not like hot weather, do NOT visit Lubbock in July - it was over 100 degrees and miserable.
Great experience at this hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again if we were in this area again. Bed was very comfortable, room was very clean and a nice size. Staff were very friendly.
This is a new Best Western in a new, growing part of Lubbock. Very good building with plenty of parking. Excellent lobby space. Decent staff; however, check-in took way too long, as it seemed disorganized in relation to having the right room ready for me. The check-out also took too long, as my room key stopped working when I was getting packed up. They could also use one more dolly, as it was busy that morning. As for the room, it was really nice and spacious (even though they did give me a handicapped room). Great television with lots of channels, and with an even better remote control. The bathroom was pretty decent with good shower and all, but it had one serious design flaw: The bathroom door swings outward into the room rather than into the bathroom, which would have been better. Very comfortable bed with a superb air-conditioning system which kept my room bearable. And it's going to be an even better location once surrounding future development bears fruit in the area in the years to come. Overall, a very fine visit here. Go ahead and come out here for the experience or if you're traveling and just need a good night's sleep. You'll get a good room here.
This hotel is very nice they offered a few variations on the usual BW breakfast including egg sandwiches and bacon, which was refreshing. The beds weee a little hard but that's to be expected with a new location. Overall we had a great stay.
The hotel looked wonderful and was everything it should be. What sets it apart is the excellent customer service. Brandon Buzzank (I asked for his card to include him in the review) was very thoughtful and professional. He made a great impression of Best Western to me and I will definitely stay here again.
After spending the night at a previous hotel which was horrible, this Best Western was a GEM, Very Clean, The Staff Was AWESOME, breakfast was good, and over all from the moment we walked into this property it completely changed our mood. Thank You and we will totally be back
This hotel is to be the best by far. The staff were very courteous, efficient, and very helpful crew. Breakfast was wonderful, they have a wide variety of food. Overall this is a great hotel and I would definitely stay here again!!!
LQ was full across the street, and boy are we glad they were! The manager of this BW offered us a discount to offset the $20 pet fee, and everyone on-staff was friendly friendly friendly! Room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was the best we have had in ages -- hot and stocked right up to shut down time. Nice and new!
Over the last few months I've done a number of Asphalt and striping jobs in Lubbock Texas. I have always stayed at the best Western plus medical center. Great property, very clean, nothing but positive interactions on my part. Breakfast is always good, fresh everything, including real eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, cereals, fresh fruit and just about anything you would need for the morning. The staff is more than friendly! They seem to be well-trained and always very congenial. Anytime I needed a little something extra it was like having an on-site concierge. Can't say enough about the property and the management. I've stayed at a lot of hotels/motels and the nice thing about this property is that everyone seems to be personally invested. Five stars out of five stars from me!
Was a good stay . Staff was great, breakfast HOT FRESH AND MANY CHOICES. Right next to freeway. Was 112 temp that weekend and room was nice and cold. Being from the coast that was nice. The hotel is new and rooms showed it. Had laundry facilities over all good stay.
Pictures looked great. New and clean. Breakfast was about average. Had a few issues. The bathroom door would not stay open, which might not have been an issue but there was no air in bathroom. There was a vent but no air. Actually the whole room felt kind of muggy the whole time even when AC was on 68. Second issue was sheets. They were horrible. The pilling was so bad that it felt like sleeping on sandpaper. I couldn't sleep. Lastly, we stayed 2 nights. The second day we had no shampoo/conditioner and they removed the soap from the tub.
Only complaint is something out of control - side of hotel by road is noisy. Person in room above me was very loud - it's in good location & I will be staying lots more times - my child will attend Texas Tech this Fall.
My stay satisfied my needs. Price was right as well as location. Thought I'd need to stay 2 nights, but was able to cut stay to 1 night. Making change at check out was not an issue. Had bacon at breakfast, would have preferred sausage, but not a big deal.
A new hotel, conveniently located. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. We booked a king room and it was wonderful AND I really appreciated an individually cleaned remote in its own packet! The full breakfast was wonderful and the hotel is completely smoke free! The workout room had enough equipment to start the day and it had a pool. The staff could not have been more helpful.
Always enjoy staying here. Employees are friendly and efficient. Room is clean and comfortable. Location is very convenient for my needs. Upgraded to a suite this last time and the extra space was really appreciated since I had my 4 year old grandson with me. Thanks.
Passing through Lubbock on a Holiday weekend, I was lucky to have chosen this Best Western to stay at. Outstanding service! Great Breakfast! Large clean room with comfortable bed. Will definately stay here again
Value would of been higher if we had not stayed on Texas Tech's graduation weekend. Rates were inflated due to high demand. This was the case at all motels. We stay in Lubbock quite often. I would absolutely stay here again.
Average hotel clean but overpriced for what you get breakfast looked day old so we skipped staff was friendly but did not go out of their way work out room and pool had no towles also no hot tub ok stay but Lubbock has so many better choices
This hotel has been open for a little over a year but it is easy to see that management takes great care in maintaining it's appearance and cleanliness. I will certainly be staying here again when I am in town.
We stayed one night here. We didn't have a reservation, just walked in and they were very accommodating without gouging us. Great deal and gave us a Veterans discount for my father's service. The rooms were very nice and very clean. The facility is new so it is very updated. The beds were comfortable. Nice pool area an workout room although we did neither. The hot breakfast in the morning was great. REAL cooked scrambled eggs and bacon. The woman in the cafeteria, Stephanie, is a real jewel and an Army veteran. She made us feel so at home and all the food was stocked and tables were clean. This place is lucky to have someone like her working for them!! We would definitely stay here again if we ever travel through Lubbock again!
This is a very nicely run hotel. Everything was top notch. Only qualm was the shower stall was a little narrow for me. Great hot breakfast, rooms are great size and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place to people needing a place to stay while in Lubbock.
Great Room stayed two nights and my Family enjoyed it ! Kids went swimming and then used the fitness room and Breakfast was Amazing! Over all good experience and rooms were as Expected to be ! Definitely gonna stay again
I would have given this facility a 5 star rating, if only they knew how important nice linens were.... The facility appears to be very new, the young lady who checked us in was very friendly and professional. The lobby and grounds were nice, clean and inviting. The room at first glance was very spacious and inviting. But then, when we turned our beds down for the night...the sheets were 'pilled' worse than any I have ever seen. They felt like sleeping on very rough flannel....what an uncomfortable feel. The beds themselves were very comfortable, but I just can't imagine a bed made with those frightful linens!!! I had to initial and sign a waiver stating I would not steal the linens or I would face a 100 dollar fine....I feel sure they have never had to impose that particular fine...because NO ONE would want those sheets! Please, management, if you read this post, make haste to order and change out the linens in this otherwise amazing property! Breakfast was typical complimentary fare, and parking was easy. The property was very easy off and on Loop 289, across the Loop from the Heart hospital...very convenient location for us.
Great stay. The manager Chris Kumar is the best. Very customer service oriented. Nice location close to Tech. Plenty of parking. Very clean. Room was quiet, well decorated. Good hot shower. Fast free internet. No complaints!
Our family travelled to Lubbock to tour Texas Tech and see the town. The location was close enough to have a view of campus, but far enough to enjoy a quiet stay. Easy drive to campus, lots of restaurants and shopping.
Needed an overnight room for an early flight the next day. Pet friendly. Staff was nice. Breakfast was fine and starts early which is continent. Would stay again. Bring your own pillow though. Great hotel for the price.
The Hotel was very nice, new and clean, staff was very friendly and helped us get our luggage back to the care. Breakfast was a hot breakfast and we stayed for under $100.00. I would recommend this Hotel anytime in Lubbock. Close to the new outlet Mall on N Loop 289 and close to Texas Tech and both Medical centers, Covenant and University Medical. We go every 90 days to Lubbock and always find something new.
but I had to comment about the linens. I have never stayed in a hotel that had this bad of sheets. The bottom sheet is covered in little pills and feels like you are laying on a blanket. The top sheet is fine. People want to sleep on crisp smooth sheets. My suggestion is to invest in quality sheets. Paying $100 a night to sleep on yucky sheets is ridiculous. Everything else about my current stay is good. Hotel is nice and clean. But in order for me to book again I'd hope you get some new sheets!
We come here often! Chris and his staff always give great service and remember us, which makes us feel like we are at home!! The whirlpool room is relaxing and what I needed. We get a great price on it, so it's our go to, in Lubbock. When there are issues or small things, they are there to correct them so that our stay is what it should be. Today in January, the breakfast cook did not show up, so Anna, the front desk clerk doubled as the cook and clerk. She had some assistance from a nice guest, who pitched in to cook eggs when she needed to mind the front! The eggs were not overlooked. And sausage was cooked more than normal and was really good. This is actually two reviews because I can't submit more than one every 3 months! We love it here! The reviews below that are negative, are NOT our experience. Take them with a grain of salt. In March, we came for our anniversary to get away for a night! Again we were not disappointed. The bed is very comfortable, the towels are nice, and they provide extra for the whirlpool in our room.
I was passing through with my daughter and we wanted to have a swim somewhere nice. This place was great. Very clean and the pool was amazing. I spent most of my time swimming although it was cold outside. Will return.
I had high hopes for this relatively new hotel. Its dimly lit interiors were a surprise from the brightly lit and surprisingly attractive exterior for a BW. However, with only one employee working a Sunday night I had to wait to check in. When I realized the A/C wasn't working, I tried to call the front desk, but the phones also weren't working. I went back to the front desk, waited in line to talk to the only employee seen since arrival. He graciously offered to come to the room and attempt to fix the A/C issue. After 10 minutes, he reset the unit, and it worked great from there. Shortly thereafter, we realized that the TV channels were far more limited than what the channel guide showed. I've never seen a hotel offer the opportunity to scroll through all the channels to see which ones you actually got. Lastly, the towels and sheets were pretty rough. This hotel isn't bad for a one-night trip. But for the price and age of the hotel (paid $95 for a Sunday king size room) I expected more.
We are B.W. award members. This motel is less than a year old and is one of the nicest places we have stayed, We make this trip 1 or 2 times each year and this is where we will stay every time. This is truly a plus, plus. Easy access to Resturants and service stations.
Great property. New sleek design. Very hip. Very nice rooms. Only con was lack of good ventilation in bathroom. Happens in most properties so not sure why hotels have not addressed this. Close to town and eating places.
Phone was dead, no water pressure in the shower, and no hot food available when we went for breakfast. The room was nice enough and the bed was comfortable. The location is great for access to TTU or the hospital.
Friendly staff and a comfortable bed. After a long day on the road this it was great to be able to stop and rest. No hassle at checkin and parking was plentiful. I skipped breakfast because I was in a rush the next morning but it looked decent.
The hotel is beautiful and new. Put room had hair everywhere and the volume on the TV didn't work. I was with my family and we got there late so it was easier to sleep than move them. The breakfast was good, but crowded.
Booked using airline miles for an overnight stay while touring West Texas. Hotel looked brand new, desk clerk said they had been open about six months. Modern and nicely furnished, no complaints at all. Breakfast was real eggs and skillet fried sausage. Very pleased with our stay and would book there again if traveling to Lubbock.
Always a great place to stay weather it be for business or pleasure. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was hot and fresh and the SUNDRY room was well stocked. Not once have I had any problems while staying here since they opened this year (2016)! Excellent property! Cant wait until my next stay!
I believe this hotel is fairly new. It was very close to the Heart Hospital, was very clean, the decor was very nice, and the price was super! The breakfast was quite good. We will stay there again when we return to Lubbock.
The room was very comfortable for a family of 4. Everything was so nice and neat and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is in close proximity to everything and quiet. Breakfast was amazing! Highly recommended if you want a nice affordable place with no worries.
This was our 2nd time staying here within months when we came to visit my in laws in Lubbock. This hotel is always so clean and the staff are excellent. I would recommend this hotel too anyone the location is within minutes from shopping centers, restaurants & other attractions. We as a family feel very safe at this hotel.
This was a one night atop on our way to somewhere else, just needed a place to sleep. The hotel was clean, checking was easy. A variety of Restaurants were about a mile down the interstate. The hotel appeared to be new. Our king room was large and the bed comfy, breakfast was what is expected at BW, nothing great, poor coffee and lots of dry carbohydrates. I give it 4 stars because the hotel fulfilled my expectations.
Front desk was awesome. Room was nice except for the a/c. It worked great but blew air directly on the person sleeping closest to it in the queen rooms. They should install a deflector. Breakfast was awesome. The eggs were real and prepared with love. The woman who ran breakfast area was on top of things and very nice.
For it being a newer hotel, the air condition was broken and the phone wasn't working properly in the first room. The next day they put us in another room. That room had not been cleaned yet, there was gum on the headboard and the door to the bathroom kept sticking. You had to pull it hard to open or close it.
We have stayed here several times when in Lubbock. The rooms are nice and well kept. The sheets are a little rough. The parking is good. The breakfast is not great. It is not a bad place to stay for the price. I will choose this hotel if the price is good.
It appears that is no set rate. Owners charge depending on what they think you will pay. I booked 7 rooms for $86 per night, but they failed to confirm one. I booked all rooms on April. In September, I saw there was no confirmation, so called and they said, no problem, we have rooms, we will just book you now. They did, at $257. After some argument, they management said they took off $50, but still charged my credit card $200 for the night. My advise, find another brand hotel. Best Western appears to have no policy about tripling rates on unsuspecting travelers. If you do book here, make sure you print the confirmation and take it with you, are you will "pay" the price!
My wife and I love staying here. The rooms are always clean and conformable, breakfast is always great and the pool is very relaxing. Every interaction with the staff has been exceptional. This is truly a great place to stay.
both nights we stayed were very disappointing especially breakfast. our first morning my son had to wake up the gentleman who was sleeping in the back of kitchen to make us some eggs. our last morning he seemed more worried about watching sports on the tv than making breakfast. room was not replenished with clean towels our second night. toilet did not flush. no hair dryer in room. the list just goes on... the night guy sam was unaccommodating and unhelpful. he would not bring us towels. the guy has no customer service skills whatsoever! time to get a new hotel staff! we were told the general manager is never there - when we stayed in august we met the sales manager bell who was very much missed this visit. we liked bell and the overnight guy ryan who took care of us in august. its obvious a totally different staff now runs this hotel bring the old staff back and we will return!
It was hard to find, the building needs better signage, the only sign was high up on hotel difficult to see because of overhanging roof, sat nav unable to locate. It is a new hotel out of the city, we also had a problem with booking, reserved 2 nights on 2 separate bookings, told reception staff on arrival but were locked out 2nd morning. Also 2nd breakfast morning no staff turned up to set it up, night staff had to deal with it so no hot food, disappointing to say the least
Hotel was new and clean. Room was very big. This kind of hotel is 'functional' for me only. Visiting college kid so needed somewhere to stay. I do not like the breakfast in hotels like this, unless you like carbs, gravy, cakes for breakfast (doughnuts) instant oatmeal etc. So, cup of coffee and a banana only for me. Very basic toiletries in the bathroom. 1 small soap, no cups. Like I said, perfect for over night stay.
Great place to stay in Lubbock. Clean. Friendly staff. Convenient location. Would recommend and would stay at this location again. The room was bigger than most other typical rooms. New hotel and great value.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, and the beds extremely comfortable. I LOVED the Huge bathroom/shower and the great tasting breakfast. My stay here was an overall wonderful experience!
Visiting kids at TTU parents weekend. Lucky to find this brand new gem - very clean, quite rooms. Last minute plans during parents weekend usually means you have to "settle" for a room. Very pleased with my find. About 10 minutes from campus.
This hotel is not even a year old so I would expect it to be very clean. Unfortunately, whoever cleaned our room did a spotty job. We arrived late so I didn't say anything until checkout. The girl at the desk was very nice and said someone would contact me about the cleanliness issue. I did not hear back from anyone which wasn't a big deal to me. I just wanted staff to know so the next person in that room wouldn't have the same problem. There was what appeared to be feces on the wall, black long hairs in the sheets and some kind of blood or food stain splattered on the foot of the comforter. The room was very large. I liked the layout a lot! Pictures posted. I can see how the stuff on the wall was missed by house cleaning, but I don't see how they could've missed the dirty bedding. The lobby and cafe areas were modern, very attractive and clean. The staff was friendly.
This hotel and employees were awesome. Great place to stay in Lubbock. Hotel was cleaning and new. The rooms are modern. The cable the hotel uses had lots of channels. The parking was great. Hotel also had water and snacks in the lobby.
The hotel is very nice and still looks and smells very new. The location is close to Texas Tech and many places in Lubbock. The decor of the property is very nice and impressive. The room was excellent and well laid out. All of the staff we encountered were very nice! I would stay there again when we visit Lubbock!
We were not planning on stopping in Lubbock until our AC died, and took out the car's power, we had to find a place quick. This hotel was the blessing among the pain. Finding this both the closest and best deal we found on google maps, it was a great pleasure. Check-in was easy and painless. The room appealing and GREAT BEDS. Never heard any sounds and we were near the elevator. The staff displays the best of Texas hospitality, in word and actions. They really went out of their way to help, from the Front-desk to the Sales Manager in too many ways to name. The breakfast was good, even better when you know they will make you eggs to order. (Hint: Make a sign to let people know about cooking up the eggs.) The fruit, waffles, yogurts, bagels, and Nutella spread was a hit with the kids. The donuts did not do anything for me, my son ate them fine-enough sugar I guess. They are about 5-miles from the Airport, and close to the Cardio and other Medical facilities. Be careful not to mix up the "N" Loop, tow truck driver used West, could not find us until we confirmed the address.
I want regular reviews for trip advisor. And read carefully before I go and stay anywhere. Don't always pay attention to a negative review especially if it seems too out there. I was here for the Buddy Holly birthday party and wanted to stay overnight. The hotel is a little out-of-the-way but a front desk clerk gave me good instructions on how to get here and which exit to take. This is a brand-new hotel, everything is clean fresh and new. It is ultramodern here. It even has a desktop Mac computer in the lobby for guests use.I got a very good rate on a room with a Jacuzzi in it, because they do not offer a Jacuzzi in the pool area. The bed was comfortable and there are lots of pillows. The room is a great size. It has high ceilings, which I could care less about, but many people like this. There is a refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker in the room. Check in took a little longer than I expected. The only other thing that was not great was breakfast. There is a breakfast attendant cleaning up, replenishing supplies etc. He was polite. The sausage was good the waffle was okay. But they serve eggs that look like a hash brown or triangle. I hesitated to try them. There are not restaurants around within walking distance,as this located right off of the loop. I would stay again though and probably eat breakfast elsewhere.
I have stayed once before at this hotel and found it clean, refreshing and comfortable. I come to visit my child at the University and takes the opportunity to spend the night and soak in the bathtub as there are none in the dorm hall. It's quiet, by a field and close to Tech.
Everything about this hotel is 10+, but the breakfast. Unless your a cereal person. Had some cooked beacon that was good, but no quality eggs, sauage, etc... So its fruit juice, coffee, toast and jelly or cereal. Need to improve breakfast part. I hate to rate this low, but its a great place to stay, and at a good price. Stay and enjoy but go eat breaskfast at IHop or Denny's.
We were moving my son into his apartment for college. We booked at The Best Western Plus due to it's location to my son's apartment. The service when we checked in was amazing! My son needed a toothbrush for the night and they would supply it. Once we got to our room the phone rang & it was the gentleman that checked us in to make sure the room was ok & to apologize he forgot to give us the toothbrush. He said he would bring it right up. I told him my son was already on his way down. The gentleman met my son at the elevator with it. The hotel was very clean and pleasant. The beds were so comfortable!!! We stayed 2 nights and our experience with all the staff was great! I will definitely be staying here each time I'm in town. Oh - the price was out of this world amazing too!
Our daughter goes to Texas Tech, and we have tried 7 other hotels in Lubbock, and this is the best one we've stayed at. We will definitely stay here from now on when we visit our daughter!! Friendly staff, close to the university, and appears to be newly built.
We went through 4 hair dryers and the front desk did not seem to be stocked up with extra hair dryers so the desk person kept grabbing hair dryers from other rooms. Thank you Ana! Despite our only complaint being the hair dryers and the hotel address being wrong; this place was absolutely amazing! The front desk was very courteous and attentive to our needs, specifically the breakfast person who nearly saved our 10 year old autistic daughter from choking during a seizure she started; after my husband stepped out of the room. Brandon quickly performed the heimlich maneuver which dislodged the item from her throat. His service demeanor was top notch. We will be back for sure in a few weeks to visit our son whose starting college at Texas tech. Hopefully we'll see Brandon to give him a little gift. Thank you Best Western.
I was traveling through Lubbock on my way home and this otel filled all the needs. The proximity to restaurants and the main roads was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Lubbock.
I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is 4 months old. Breakfast was very good. I would stay here again. The hotel is in a solid location. IT is located on a major highway and it is within one mile of Texas Tech University.
It's a new hotel, so no problems there. Check in was a breeze. Easy to get around the area. Room was comfortable. A/C was fine. Breakfast was nonexistent. There wasn't much selection as of 630 am, and I had to leave to get to graduation. No one at the desk to check out. It took half an hour. Irritating. Chris Kumar, the hotel manager, was exemplary in the way he handled the issues I encountered. Not his fault. Would stay there again.
From the moment our family walked in the front doors of this beautiful hotel we were all very impressed with the decor the cleanliness...the staff was very professional helpful and caring,we all went to our rooms very impressed as well big comfy beds the decor as well was very nice i can go on and on about this hotel and it wouldn't do it justice...we will most definitely be back or recommended to others!!! Two Thumbs Up Chris!!! you've impressed us yet again...if your looking for Quality this is the place to stay.
This hotel is new & clean. It is easy to get from the hotel to the main campus, and only a few minutes to the Rawls Gofl Course. It is a little longer to get to the hotel from campus due to one-way roads. It is a good budget hotel. If you keep the AC/fan running, you can block out hwy and hotel noise & get a good nights rest/
I return to Best Western Plus Medical Center Inn in Lubbock, because I know I will have a great stay and accommodations! It is a new facility,so wonderful rooms! Impressive breakfast offered, internet and just an overall great value! Great staff, great service too!
The employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and nice. We haven't gone down for breakfast yet but I am confident that it will be great. My only complaint would be that out of 4 floors there was only 1 working ice machine. (And it wasn't on our floor)
Hotel was fine. New and clean. Car was broken into the one night I stayed and 4 sets of golf clubs, luggage and tools all stolen. The Hotel stated SORRY we don't have security cameras on that side of the building and told me it wasn't their first car broken into.
New, very clean, friendly staff, rooms we well maintained. The pool was ice cold and the chlorine was strong, but that would be the only thing we did not like. Everything else was great. This location is near restaurants and just down the street from Tech.
Hotel is new and well-maintained. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was decent. The price was average for the date I was there. It's a little ways from Texas Tech, if that's where you're going, maybe 10-15 minutes.
This new Best Western is a good choice in Lubbock. It has very nice large rooms with pleasant decor, nice large flat screen TV, and great beds!!! Plus, the room had a mini fridge and microwave, and was really pretty quiet. It had a really nice breakfast with all the usual items, waffles, fruit, cereal, breads, plus made to order eggs, and bacon and hash browns. The breakfast room was really nicely laid out. It has an indoor pool which was to cool for me to swim in, but I like really warm water. Our room had a problem with the fan, we couldn't get it to stay on all the time, but it wasn't a big deal. The A/C worked well. The wifi was VERY slow, but again, not a big deal for us. They just got a new Mac computer for guests to use, but it wasn't set up yet, and another guest was using the PC they also have, so they let me use their computer at the front desk for something important I needed to do. Very nice of them!! This hotel is in a great location for us because it is very close to my daughter's apartment, but isn't right in town. It is out on the loop, but is only a short drive to town, and there are restaurants nearby. It was right next to the highway, but well insulated, we didn't hear any road noise. This is a pet friendly hotel, but we didn't hear any animals while in our room. As a rule, I try to avoid hotels that take animals because of the noise potential, but didn't hear a thing. This hotel is very nice, and we will stay again for sure!!!
Arrived the week of the British Open and looking forward to watching one of the biggest tournaments of the year. HOWEVER, this hotel has over 100 cable television channels. They even have the Tennis Channel, but NOT the Golf Channel. That's all you need to know...
This is clearly a new property. It's super clean with very modern stuff. It's also a great value. Check in was easy. The "staff" was super friendly. I put staff in quotations because it was just one young lady. I'm pretty sure she was the only employee in the whole hotel when we arrived. That said, she was very helpful and went out of her way to get us what we needed. There's not a lot of stuff in the immediate area, but that wasn't a big deal for me. It's right off the loop and not far down from good eating and shopping. I'd stay here again.
from the moment we walked in were impressed with the beauty of this hotel the decor the cleanliness...we stayed in a jacuzzi room very clean comfy bed big flat screen tv loved the colors paint the decor of this room...the pool is very clean i can go on and on about how beautiful this hotel is....not to mention the staff very helpful and friendly most of all caring about our stay there...the breakfast was Awesome a lot of choices to chose from we can't say enough about this hotel just have to see to believe ....Keep up the good work Chris!!! yet again another stay at a BW it's like a home away from Home. And that means Alot
Overall a nice and new hotel. Breakfast in the morning was average, but acceptable. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Location to the university was great. My only complaint was the elevator. It was incredibly slow and the doors were quick to close once it arrived on your floor. I will be back in December and plan on staying here again.
We were very pleased with our stay for two nights in mid-June 2016. The accommodations were outstanding. The hotel is new with a bright and clean appearance inside and out. The room was clean, quiet, spacious and nicely decorated with excellent amenities. The dining area was also very clean, well organized and included a great selection of breakfast options. The staff left a very favorable impression with us. Chris, the general manager, was very friendly, enthusiastic and accommodating at check-in. The personnel serving the dining area were also very pleasant and helpful in making eggs to order for our breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel. It is also convenient to Texas Tech.
Had a great stay here from July 2-July 5. This is a new hotel and the staff was very friendly. The room was nicely decorated but more importantly clean and beds very comfortable. Nice hot breakfast and a variety of other breakfast items offered. I must say that the hallways are a little warm but not a big deal, our room was nice and cool. I had changed our original check in/check out dates before the required deadline using the Best Western reservations 1-800 number, but this was not updated in the hotels system. Management was quick to rectify this issue. Staff was friendly and housekeeping did a great job during our stay. My family and I will be staying here again.
I was so pleased to stay in a brand new hotel. The rooms were a nice size, comfortable, and decorated with art of local places. We were able to check in early, and enjoyed the hot breakfast the next morning. Will certainly consider staying here again.
Hotel was new and everything was fresh and clean. Front desk staff very nice and efficient. We stayed two nights and it was quiet and restful. We have made many trips to Lubbock and stayed at various hotels. We would definitely come back here. Breakfast was nice with eggs, bacon, toast, muffins, biscuits and cereals.
We didn't get in until after 11pm, but were immediately checked in and all our questions answered. The room was very nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. I will say that the rooms are not at all sound-proof, however. You could easily hear people's conversations from out in the hall. The breakfast room was spacious and had lots of seating. By the time we got there several food items were out, but the ladies working in the kitchen got refills out quickly and with a smile. Checkout was fast and friendly, and we were on our way. I'll definitely stay here again.
I don't meant to be Debbie Downer here but I'm surprised that there can be so many issues since it is a NEW hotel. Very substandard. There is nothing around this hotel but I knew that going in. Elevator bell is deafening. No reason for that. Water pressure in the shower sucks. And it's not because of the shower head setting. The pressure coming from the bathtub spout was low too. The air conditioning unit is a wall unit under the window...you know, like what you see in older hotels. Well, it would be fine but this is what was very confusing. There is a thermostat on the wall AND a thermostat on the actual ac unit. What is the purpose of that? I think we figured out that the thermostat on the wall did nothing to affect the actual room temperature even though it was functional. I'm still not 100% sure of this. The mattress pad on the bed made it lumpy. The pillows were just a tad too fat making your neck get a cramp in the morning. Not as terrible as some I've slept on, but enough that makes it worth writing about. The pillows were also lumpy. The bathroom door wasn't level causing it to swing open hard against the actual room door causing a loud bang. So you either have to keep the bathroom door shut or catch it before banging. The toilet handle disconnected from the arm inside. The most baffling: it screws on backwards. It's not righty tighty. This is probably why it comes off. After X number of flushes, it'll happen again. The breakfast was decent and the staff was nice all around.
Really nice hotel. Clean & new. Location is very convenient to Texas Tech. I would definitely stay there again. The only problem I had was with the pillows. They were firm and big. I like flatter pillows. I should have asked for flatter ones but I was too tired. Free breakfast was OK. Other than that, it was a really good hotel. I would stay there again.
Love this hotel. It's only 10 minutes or less to get to Texas Tech. It's new and clean. The rooms are decorated very nice and the beds are very comfortable. The staff are super friendly. FYI: If you want eggs for breakfast, you have to ask the lady in charge of breakfast in the kitchen. Price is very reasonable for non-peak times, but pricey during peak times like TX Tech family weekend or football game weekends.
I stayed at this hotel for one night to present my dissertation proposal at Texas Tech. The staff was super friendly and made an effort to get to know me. The rooms were clean, new, and had everything in working order. The property is beautiful and not what you would expect from an 'older' best western. Loved my stay! The hotel and staff are awesome!
This is a new hotel, room was comfortable and clean. Front desk very friendly and helpful, where to get good Mexican food and how to navigate to the mall. Breakfast had everything one could want and breakfast help was indeed helpful.
New property - very clean, modern decor. Bed was comfortable & bathroom clean with all features working as expected. In-house internet speed was good. Elevator was a little slow & could back up during rush hour. EASY access on & off freeway!!
Great Hotel, conveniently located close to Texas Tech University. Beds are very comfortable, Breakfast is just enough to start the day. Nice fitness center for a quick workout, Nice small indoor pool. Friendly staff members. Overall a Great Hotel to stay at in Lubbock & will stay again.
The hotel over is one of the cleanest I have been too. Breakfast was great, real eggs & oatmeal with all its fixins, standard yogurt, cereal & coffee. The rooms were very nice & cold, it's funny the hall way was kinda warm, but this hotel was awesomeness.
We booked one room for two nights (Fri & Sat) during Tech's graduation weekend. The location is great. The comfort of the beds was phenomenal. Very nice place to stay. Nice and quick breakfast and pleasant staff. We will definitely stay here again.
The hotel was very clean , the staff was so hospitable . Our room was very nice our bed was so comfortable , I felt right at home. I would highly recommend this hotel . The hot breakfast they serve was very good , the food was fresh . The price for our stay was very reasonable especially for the hotel
We made reservations here to attend a junior college track meet and was very disappointed in our stay. Our stay was for 4 nights and was quoted a different price when we got to the motel than we were quoted on the phone. When checking out we were charged more for Thursday night, because of graduations! We were told when we checked in it was going to be the same all 4 nights! House keeping only cleaned our room once during our stay and didn't even replenish our room with towels, coffee, cups, soap, toilet paper and toiletries! We had to go to the front desk to ask for them! We were very disappointed in our stay at this motel!
We stayed because a family member was in the hospital its close and convenient. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and they go out of the way to help you in any way they can. Breakfast is very good. The manager is doing a great job.
Very convenient location and beautiful hotel. The staff is very nice and accommodating. One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Lubbock. I like that it is very affordable yet has the feel of a top line hotel.
This is a very new property. It is easy to access. The decor and rooms are nice. The breakfast is good. We have stayed there the last two weekends for playoff games and will go back when in town. We had an A/C problem on our last visit. We called the front desk and they took care of it quickly.
We stayed here because of a family member was in the Texas Tech hospital, it is close, convinient, and clean. The staff always greet you with a smile and are very attentive to your needs as a guest. We felt like we were with family amd not at a motel with strangers.
Brand new hotel with the friendliest staff. Breakfast was great too! Chris is the manager here, he's very attentive and was great with helping me with all my troubles. Furniture and walls are all very modern, best new hotel in town! Would definitely stay here again.
Stoped in to book rooms for an upcoming event. Spoke with Kay and Erik. Both were very helpful. They let us tour the rooms and hotel. They spent the time to make sure all our needs were met. Very clean and well managed! I look forward to our stay.
