"Very impressed"
We chose this hotel for its convenient location while we were travelling from the uk to a ski resort. After I accidentally cancelled the booking on line ; the hotel were helpful I'm reinstating the reservation quickly. The day we were due to arrive, a member of the reception team called us to advise of the restaurant being almost fully booked and asked if we'd like a reservation - which I'm very glad of. Upon arrival we were greeted by a clean and welcoming lobby and a friendly reception. Because we were leaving before breakfast started they even managed to arrange for a breakfast tray to be delivered at 5am to our room. Great! The restaurant was pleasant - staff friendly and everything clean. Food was a good standard and menu varied as far as you would expect. My only critical comments would be that whilst the bedroom was clean and modern; the bathrooms adjoining our room were very tired and in need of modernisation (although they were very clean!) Overall very pleased with our stay. Well done Hotel Admiral

Dear realduchess, It is a real pleasure to read your comment and to understand that you enjoyed your time with us. The whole staff is doing its best to satisfy the guest and we appreciate that you've been sensitive to that. Our restaurant serves fresh food from quality products which provides an excellent homemade food. We take good notes of your comment and are also happy to announce that the bathroom will be completely refurbished soon. We hope we will welcome you again. "Stop over from Spain to Calais"
This is a really mixed review as we had a mixed experience. We arrived quite late and first impressions were good. It's very near the motorway so very convenient. The man on reception was lovely, very friendly and with perfect English. Our family room was huge and had a big triple bed and a double and single, ample for our family of 4. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. There was tea and coffee making (although no milk) and plenty of plug sockets and storage. However then we started to see the downsides in daylight the next day. The fridge was warm and dirty, the carpets were really stained all over as was the bath. There was also a stain on the bedding. Our window was panoramic and opened right up which was fine for us with teenagers but if you had a young family it would be hazardous as there is a sheer drop. We went down for breakfast at 9.20am, breakfast is 7-10 on weekends. None of the tables were set up for 4, we had to do our own. There were no plates and the orange juice machine did not work. The lady was pleasant but had little English and we have only a little French. We managed to get plates and ascertain that the juice machine was broken. Everything was 3/4 empty and not replenished although four other families arrived after us. There were no croissants left, no bacon or sausages left so for €12.50 per person we had essentially paid over £40 for coffee cereal, and bread and yoghurt and fruit. Not really acceptable but we had already complained about the juice and lack of plates and have not got the language skills to complain about the rest as we would have in the U.K We wanted to go in the pool but the rule was no swim shorts, only Lycra trunks which with three males, two of them teenagers, these were not something we owned so we could not access the pool which was a shame as it was nice and the weather was great. It says for hygiene reasons but a simple shower before entering the pool should have been good enough. The hotel is allegedly four stars but I genuinely don't see how it got its rating. It's nice on the surface but it has many faults and the breakfast is a rip off. Perhaps it's better if you are there at the start but as there's no reduction for getting there at the end then the food choice should be the same. For the money, there are nicer hotels, don't be fooled by the 4 star rating, it's not really what you are getting.
"Everything perfekt"
Best place for overnight-stop to south-west! Very friendly, very attractive quiet Place, the Restaurant was excellent, too. We enjoyed the Pool after a long trip by car. Thank you all there in Qualys! Just the Navigation had Troubles to find the Hotel - perhaps an update ist necessary, as there are several new roundabouts!
"Not exactly 4 stars but very nice hotel"
Good location if you want to explore the region by car, very friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet (you can sit near the pool!), clean and quiet rooms. The overall services are not really 4 star quality but definitely this could be rated a very good 3 star hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much!
"Typical chain hotel"
Nothing extraordinary, but most things were in order: clean room and bathroom, a kettle in the room, wi-fi... What I didn't like was: overdue renovation of the main hall (was supposed to be finished a month earlier), no fresh fruit and/or vegetables for breakfast and arogant restaurant service (the main? waiter).
