    « Great room »

The view can't be beat. Room was spacious and elevator speedy. Of course Ft. Myers wearlther after a winter in western New York was a bonus. Location convenient to bridge and highway and restaurants, including IHOP.

    5
    « beautiful location »

The location is perfect, we arrived by boat, the dock is protected and in great shape. the hotel overlooks the water. The restaurant at the hotel has a good variety of entrees, the wait staff was great and the food was excellent. we saw dolphins and rays in the marina. the room was clean and comfortable. the staff was friendly and helpful.

« We really like it »

This place has sentimental value to us but we like the restaurant, the view from some rooms, the location and the breakfast being at IHOP next door. Prices are usually reasonable, considering where you are.

    « Great Hotel »

Great hotel with a good view of the harbor in Down Town Ft Myers. Good breakfast at the ihop next door included. Comfy rooms and toiletries seem to be of higher quality. The bar by the pool is a bit pricey but no one complains if you BYOB.

    5
    « Wonderful stay »

Great rooms with outstanding view looking out over the water. Staff pleasant, attentive and courteous. Used vouchers each morning for a good breakfast at IHOP across the parking lot. Good location with a good variety of restaurants close by. Look forward to staying here next year.

    « Business Trip »

I was happy with my experience with my room and reception. The hotel is a bit older but it was roomy and clean and I had a nice view of the Bay. My room was quiet and uninterrupted. Breakfast was provided at the IHOP next to the hotel with a voucher. No complaints there either.

    « Nicely updated »

I liked our room, pool, landscaping and location. I didn't like the open stairways. Anyone could just walk in off the street and gave access to the rooms. The breakfast was very good, but a long wait. I feel this place was a good value.

    « Our »

We often take time to do a mini-getaway to Ft Myers and love staying at the BW Waterfront. Love the view from the balconies and always eat at the 3 Fishermen Seafood restaurant on the property. They have great fish tacos and the fresher fried okra anywhere. Happy hour pricing makes it a good value. Also included with the room is a breakfast special at the IHOP next door. The limited menu has portions that are just right for us and it included coffee or juice. Good way to start the day after a nice overnighter.

    « All good »

We enjoyed our extended stay very much. The view of the river from our room was great! All of the staff were very friendly. We were treated as valued customers. The two restaurants were convenient and the food/menus were both good.

    « BestWestern/Best Service »

The room was clean, location was great, nice pool. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed walking around the area. The on-site restaurant was very good and the IHOP for breakfast worked out nicely. Staff was very good, too.

« Best view, close to downtown »

The warmth of the staff and the location near downtown Fort Myers with a view over the river makes this a thrilling experience. There is a trolley that takes you downtown where all the action is and then you get some quiet time after you get back.

    « BW Ft. Myers »

The water view in the room was terrific. Room was on the small side but view and balcony made up for it. Personally I would prefer getting the room $10 a day cheaper and not get the 2 free daily IHOP breakfasts. Every time we went for our breakfast (between 9 an 1030) there was a line with waiting anywhere between 30 and 50 minutes. Being on a full schedule we could not wait. Getting up at 7AM to avoid crowds was not an option for us.

    « Holy View, Batman! »

We stayed at the Best Western Waterfront on March 9, during our Ft. Myers vacation. It was a nice hotel, and the hotel staff with whom we interacted were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the hotel grounds were clean and well-maintained. The pool area was nice and relaxing, right down by the water. The best aspect of our stay was the spectacular view of the Caloosahatchee River. It's an upgrade to get a room with a water view, but it's worth it. The only negatives are that the traffic noise from the highway and bridge is quite loud, and the room was dated and showed a lot of wear and tear. But like I said, it was clean - and that view... It was cool at night and I called the front desk for an extra blanket - it was brought up promptly and they had warmed it in the dryer. Nice touch! We did not take advantage of the breakfast vouchers at IHOP, although that is a nice benefit. The restaurant within the hotel was busy in the afternoon and they had a good acoustic duo performing live music, which we enjoyed while we were lounging by the pool. Overall, we were pleased with our stay at this hotel, and would consider it again on a return trip to Ft. Myers.

« Great View of the Calusahatchee »

The staff was excellent, the room was spacious ,the I -Hop breakfast was fantastic. Why not five stars ? The shower was really not adequate. Management is carrying the water conservation thing a step or two too far.

    5
    « Waterfront Gem »

The rooms all have a great view of the river. Nice pool and adjacent restaurant. Breakfast is at the IHOP which is located across the parking lot. The folks there were friendly and service was good. We had teh opportunity to see dolphins twice as they came up to the pier area and swam very close to the boardwalk.

    4
« Very Well. no real issue »

Every thing was fine the staff was supper help full.We had a supper nice view of the gulf and was clean around the outer part of the area. also like all of the nice parking area large. I would suggest for other guest to stay there

    « Bad news. »

I booked this room thru Hotwire. Never again. The room was dirty smelled like smokers were using the room. The remote did not work. Hotwire picked the room as a 3 star No way. No hot water in the bathroom sink. Beware of this type of scam where the search engine picks the hotel for you you end up with a dump

    5
    « great Best Western »

We loved being on the water without all the beach traffic. We were close to several restraunts and our balcony faced the river. When we had nothing else to do we just watched the water. Boats came and docked to eat at the restraunt, dolpins slept near the shore in front of our room and one day a couple wind surfers entertained us for hours. It was the most relaxing part of our escape.

    3
« Nice view hard beds »

The room was nice and the balcony was great. The door getting into the room got stuck and the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast was at the next door IHOP which was inconvenient and the selection for the hotel menu wasn't that good. And each room only gets two breakfast vouchers so if you have more than two people then you are buying breakfast. Plus there is a window right over the toilet that is blocked from view but is open to noise. Not much privacy there.

    2
    « Only maybe 3 stars »

Was very disappointed in this hotel especially being a Best Western. Very run down, Large roof fan that constantly runs and smells like fried food. To me, this hotel needs some updating. Room smelled unpleasant and just the one night stay wasn't very comfortable in any way.

    « Excellent Value »

My husband and I were pleased with our choice of accommodations. Our room was clean, spacious, and had everything that we needed. The front desk clerk was friendly and gave us recommendations for restaurants and places to see. Our lodging included vouchers for breakfast at the IHOP restaurant that was right next door. While the menu was somewhat limited, ala cart items could be ordered at your own expense. The servers were friendly and the food was good. My only negative comment is that our view on the 2nd floor, room 218, in the East building had a somewhat blocked view of the waterfront due to the Three Fisherman Seafood Restaurant being in front of our balcony. We booked the room during a busy time, so I am assuming all the rooms with a better view were occupied. In the future, I will ask for a room on one of the floors with an unobstructed view. One other issue is that our room was not serviced the first day we were there. We had put the do not disturb sign out when we went to breakfast. Of course, we removed the sign when we left for the day, but somehow our room was missed. I contacted the front desk when we returned. They asked if we needed anything which we didn't. We had no further problems. I would choose to stay there again if we visit the area in the future.

« Awesome experience all around »

Fantastic views (6th floor recommended), on-site fishing pier (where we caught fish!), free IHOP breakfast, great staff. Our AC broke and we were moved to a larger room, which made the trip. Will return!

    « Nice comfortable hotel »

There are not a lot of affordable hotel choices in this area. This is a comfortable hotel. Clean. Comfortable beds. Great restaurant in the property?Three Fisherman's. A little outdated, but would stay here again. Nice breakfast choice at IHOP next door.

We loved our room and the staff!! Already booked our stay for next year. The sunset were beautiful !! The balcony was a great spot for early morning coffee and happy hour drinks. Can't wait to get back.

« best western fort myers »

we spent 2 nights there on 2/28/18 and on 03/01/18 and loved the water view at sunset. we also ate at the seafood restaurant and were very pleased with the food. we found that the staff was very friendly and helpful. we also enjoyed having breakfast at ihop each morning

    « Fantastic Vacation »

If you are looking for a place to stay, give the BW Waterfront a try. Many guests are year after year guests. The staff is friendly and accomadating, the rooms are clean, the view overlooking the river is awesome and several restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel...make your reservations soon as they book up fast!

    3
    « Needs updating »

Room is dated. We did have a nice view of the river. It served the purpose of being close by where we needed to be. Breakfast at the nearby IHOP was included. Note: This is a limited breakfast menu. The general area is not a walking and enjoying the area place. Downtown Fort Myers is a short drive over a bridge.

    4
« Will stay here again »

While the property is not new, our room and all of the common areas were clean and nice. The bed pillows were a little soft for me, but that is a personal preference and my spouse was happy with the pillows. The staff was pleasant and friendly. Check in and check out were smooth. The view from the room was a very nice water view. We had one lunch at the restaurant and it was very good. We were visiting family in the area.

    « Needs Work »

The hotel has the potential to be a nice place - it has a beautiful view of the intercoastal (we saw a dolphin by the dock), and nice pool, but that's where it ends. I'm not sure if it was the room we were placed in, but the carpets were dirty (left our feet black), and the door was askew and let in light from the outside - if it lets in light, it lets in bugs. So that brings me to the "palmetto bugs" that were in our room (read: giant cockroaches, but were assured were just "palmetto bugs" (which, if you google, they are indeed, cockroaches)). We booked through Priceline, so again, I'm not sure if we were placed in their worst room - it was handicap accessible so the toilet was crazy high off the ground and the shower didn't drain very well. Being on the ground floor and close to the restaurant there was a lot of noise from outside. The plusses: The staff was friendly. We asked for a crib for our daughter and they brought us a brand new pack-n-play. When we called about the "palmetto bugs" they sprayed around the doors and bathroom. Nice breakfast at the ihop. I wouldn't stay here again given how much we paid and the condition of the hotel just for a view of the water.

« Good Value ~ but a bit out of the way »

We were in Ft. Myers for a two night pre-cruise stay to visit family. We booked this hotel based on web photos and the fact I wanted to be on the water. Photos are a bit misleading. A great view of the water was mitigated by the fact the restaurant was immediately below our balcony as was the waiting line for patrons waiting to get in. The hotel is on the other side of the river from the City of Ft. Myers. The bridge is close by and easily accessible going to the city, but returning can be a bit confusing for tourist. Our sixth floor room was very large, and clean, with the bed being very comfortable. These are the important factors for us. Surprisingly, the breakfast at I-HOP next door was a bit of a disappointment. They had a long waiting list on both Friday and Saturday mornings, and the "free breakfast" selection offered through BW was far more limited than those we received in the other two BW we stayed at on this trip Other than a very good Mexican restaurant next to the I-HOP, and the Hotel's restaurant, there are no others nearby. (May be a factor for some) My "negative" comments are for accuracy of information only, intended to help travellers. We enjoyed our stay at BW Waterfront, and would stay again if visiting Ft. Meyers.

    « Wedding Party »

We were very pleased with our stay at this facility. The rooms were clean and large. The beds were very good and the service excellent. The front desk personnel, especially Hilda, were very helpful. The 3 Fisherman restaurant on site is excellent and right on the waterfront.

Great property, clean spacious rooms, great pool, greater view. Nice fitness center, friendly help staff, what else do you want? Three Fisherman Restaurant fresh tasty seafood, live entertainment by the pool!

« Review of Best Western »

We stayed for one night in February. The room was nice and the view was wonderful. People were friendly and helpful. Long wait for breakfast at IHOP, but the food was fine. Having the luggage cart was very helpful, as this was the end of a long trip.

    5
    « Great hotel! »

Stay here when visiting Fort Myers. My wife and I like it better than the beach. It has a beautiful pool area, and is right on the river where you can watch dolphins all day long. There is an on-site seafood restaurant and there is a free trolley to downtown Fort Myers.

« Lee County Residence beware »

I booked a room. for two nights, got confirmation numbers went there and they said you can't stay here you are a Lee County Resident. So I will never stay at ANY Best Western ever again and everyone I talk to says the same thing.

« Great Hotel With Outstanding Views »

I had never stayed at this property before and booked it knowing it had mixed reviews. We could not have been more pleased. The view, the location and the service (with the exception of the check in clerk) was exceptional. We loved having coffee on the balcony every morning and enjoying the views, even seeing Dolphins. The onsite restaurant and IHop for breakfast were outstanding. It was easy to get to all the places we wanted to vist. The rooms were clean and the service was great. The bathroom is dated but clean. A great place to stay.

« Enjoyed the water view and sunset! »

This is our second stay at this hotel. We stayed on the last night of out vacation using reward points.you check-in at a building next to the hotel. The fitness room is in this building also. The hotel is clean and has a waterfront location on the river. We sat on the balcony to watch the subset. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was satisfactory. Breakfast vouchers are provided to eat at Denny's, next door to the hotel. There is special menu for quests using vouchers. The breakfast was served quickly and I enjoyed my French toast, sausage and a drink. This hotel is in north Fort Myers and it was about 29 minutes to the airport. The hotel is just across the river from the historic district, parks and marina. We noticed boats on sunset cruises.

    5
    « Girls weekend out »

Just a weekend out with the girls and this hotel was a perfect match. The rooms are clean, spacious, well equipped with tv, hairdryer, refrigerator, microwave, and large bathroom. We had a gorgeous view of the Caloosahatchie River. The restaurant on site was excellent. Great pier to watch the sun set. Free breakfast at IHOP as a perk from the hotel.

    2
« Old and worn down »

We stayed here for 2 nights in January and bought it as a "Hot rate" so we didn't know what hotel we were getting. Besides the front desk staff being helpful the property itself is worn down, old and in a bad neighborhood. There was not a proper window on the bath room to the outside so you could hear sirens and people all night long. They have tried to update the interior of the rooms but the bathrooms and overall hotel were in need of a makeover. If I wouldn't have paid in advance I would have checked out after one night and went somewhere else.

    5
« Hilda at front desk is the best »

I called about 3 hours before we were to arrive, to check on our reservations. I made them for 2 rooms, 2 nights online in November. Hilda told me I had one room in one bldg and another in different bldg, plus it was a handicap room! I never asked for one, I am diamond select, expect more from BW.. I was so upset , we were traveling with another couple, wanted rooms next to each other. Hilda re assured me she would work something out. She called me back shortly with good news. She got us rooms next to each other, with nice view of water and partial view of pool. FYI in future always call hotel if making reservations online. Also ask for pool view. Thank you Hilda, she needs a raise! Hotel is older, but well kept and clean. They have a seafood restaurant attached. Very good, service is slow. One problem they have delivery trucks park next to hotel with their engines running, very loud. When sitting on deck or outside, you cat hear anything!

« Loose, unkept and not comfortable »

I'm here, right now,...1/31/18 as I type. First, I was greeted warmly...The people are solid and helpful and friendly, but the property is shoddy and unkept...i happened to be blessed with an accessible room on the first floor. I called to change but they're sold out. The front door which faces the unsecured parking lot as do, i believe, most of the rooms, doesn't quite close all the way, but there is a deadbolt and a chain. Chain? It's 2018. The parking lot is shared with an IHOP and it is the IHOP that is the free breakfast option. As I walked into my room some random guy walking the parking lot stopped and glared at me and into the room. The room seems clean overall. There was a random pillow case on the bed, just lying there when I walked into the room which just told me that the attention to detail isn't sharp. I've already killed a few flying insects, probably because the win dow in the bathroom remains open and cannot be completely closed, but has some sort of screwed in brackets (don't know what else to call them) that probably prevent the window from being accessible to the outside world. The rear, sliding patio door which faces the back of the adjacent restaurant and lounge, doesn't lock at all (the locks are there but don't function), but there's a door jam that the guest can position so that the door probably can't be opened. The TV didn't initially work...but was fixed immediately. The people are working here but it's just a lousy property. There's no way I would bring my family here. Not a three star or four star on the best day. My bad for being cheap on this stay.

« Best hotel during my week of 7 different hotels! »

Our family flew into Tampa and traveled around the lower half of the state in a circle staying at a different hotel each night. This hotel was our best hotel out of 7! Very clean room. Great view. well kept grounds. Children loved the pool, but it was cold. I wish we would have ate super there as it smelled so good. Breakfast was at the Ihop. That was great, but I would have much rather had it in the hotel and one needs to tip at Ihop. Please do so for the workers. The tip is not included in your hotel stay and the staff works hard. I would stay again for sure!

    5
    « Nice »

Nice very pleasant staff who upgraded my room when I arrived . A very comfortable bed that was almost as comfortable as home., wonderful view, overall enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was great. Would recommend it if your in the area.

« Not allowed to stay at this hotel »

We tried to stay here because our home was destroyed by hurricane Irma and we couldn't stay in our home. My son, my 14 yr old dog, and myself needed a pet friendly place to stay for a couple of weeks but when the hotel found out we were local residents, we were refused a room and told that was their policy and would not budge. They are only out to make as much money for rooms from tourists but considering the circumstances, it was hard to see no compassion for someone looking for help.

« Best value for the views of the caloosahatchee river. »

Best value for the views of the caloosahatchee river great personnel restaurant imbedded on the property Other restaurants and diners nearby I stayed November December and into January because of the damage my home sustained from Hurricane Irma

    « Quick Exit »

But for the accomodation of the desk manager, I'm not sure I would have given this place any rating at all. We got to our room and realized we were directly above the band at the pool, which was blasting away. Not good for two seniors. Retruned to the lobby area and asked if we could be given a different room. Unable to do was the response. They did however refund our money which they indicated should have been forfeited becuase we "cancelled" ...the desk manager reversed that clerk's answer.

    « Great hotel »

Great hotel. Good views. Nice restaurant and bar downstairs who are very accommodating to groups and times for your visit. Higher floors have better views, but we didn't spend much time on the balcony. Easy access to ballparks and beaches.

    « Absolutely terrible! »

This place is among the dirtiest places I've ever seen/stayed at, if not the dirtiest. After submitting pictures of the filthy air vent filter that caused a horrible allergy for the entire night, a dry bloody booger on the wall, sheets with stains all over them, I mean at least 6 or 7 big dark gray stains, the management apologized and invited me for a 1 night comp stay at the place that I had the worst nightmare staying with all the issues. A BIG JOKE Do yourself and your family a huge favor and stay away from this dumpster.

    5
    « Very Good Hotel + Breakfast »

This was one of our favorite hotels while on our Florida Road Trip. The front lobby was inviting and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and our check in was fast and easy. There was ample safe parking and the area was great to walk around. We were also given a voucher for breakfast at the IHOP which shared the same parking lot. At IHOP we were given a separate menu which had many similar items as their regular menu. If you would still like to order from the regular menu the value of the voucher (around $6 per person) was applied to your bill. That was one of the highlights of our stay as we were hoping to make it to an IHOP at some point. Our room was very nice and on the small side. We were on the ground floor near the elevator which was a bit noisy. Our balcony was right beside the pool and adjoining restaurant. We were able to walk out to the docks and waterfront quite easily. We had dinner at the adjoining seafood restaurant which was very good. The quality of food and value for our money was right on. I would recommend the restaurant for sure. There were no other restaurants that were very close that we could walk to. I wish we could have spent more time here but we were only staying for one night. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and I would stay there again given the opportunity.

« Beautiful view, excellent service »

This BW meets every possible criterion. Private balconies overlooking the river harboring dolphins and mannatees, plus fishing from hotel pier. Sunrise and sunset views. Hotel dock is at foot of one of Ft. Meyers Top Ten restaurants. Much more importantly, BW Waterfront finds and retains incredibly competent and pleasant staff. A Starbucks with 30 minute free parking and a super Publix truly 3 minute run across bridge to downtown Ft. Myers. Edison Estate 5 minutes away, along with more top restaurants. Sanibel causeway so quickly and easily reached. Then return to a great room in a hotel property with true 24 hour security Longterm stay w daily includes pool next to full service restaurant.

  • 4
« Nice view, but less nice area »

We selected this place since we decided on going here quite late and only a few extremely expensive options were available at Sanibel or Ft. Myers Beach. This area is not very nice, there are a lot of ready-to-tear-down commercial buildings along the street. But we did not stay here to explore this area, so it was OK for us. We got a room on the 3rd floor, and the view from the room's patio was spectacular. With the Ft. Myers skyline (not that Ft. Myers has a lot of skyline, but anyways) The patio was perfect to sit and relax and grab a beer in the evening sun. We had breakfast at the IHOP next door which was included in the stay at the hotel (a limited menu that was included). We also had dinner one evening at the Three Fishermen restaurant that was located at the premises. We spent the late evenings in the pool area relaxing in the sun. Could stay here again if being in Ft. Myers. One that that could be improved upon though: The doors should need some better foam or rubber seal. There's a lot of the noise from the nearby road getting into the room this way.

    3
    « Excellent view »

This hotel has rooms with an excellent view of the water. The cleanliness could be better. Some updates would go a long way to making this a better place to stay. The staff is competent but not super friendly.

    4
    « Friendly Florida »

We enjoyed the friendly people in Florida. Everybody helped us if neccessary and finally also the WIFI worked. We had our breakfast in the nearby IHOP and liked it very much, too. It is very possible that we will stay there once more.

    1
« If you can, avoid this hotel! »

The pros are that the staff is very friendly and the water view is nice and they accept pets. Unfortunately there are a lot of cons. The place is dirty and needs to be sprayed for bugs both in the Fisherman's rest. associated with the hotel and the room itself. The beds creak, the pillows are hard and the bathrooms are in need of a lot of updating. The hotel itself seems to be located is a distressed area. Lots of shopping strips sit vacant. I can think of a lot better places to stay! Sorry..

    4
    « A Surprising Steal »

My family and I were visiting relatives in Fort Myers and I snagged this hotel at an unbelievable rate with breakfast, wifi, pool and an incredible waterviews. Breakfast was at IHOP daily ( how can you go wrong with that?) and the pool overlooked a bay that is fed by the Gulf. There was a small beach but it was in great need of a cleanup and the restaurant offered great waterfront views and delicious seafood, but needs a bit of updating. My girls really enjoyed the pool area which was lovely and framed with palm trees. The room was average and the hallways were in need of updating but overall, it's the surprise we haven't stopped talking about at an incredible price.

    5
« Great location, Big rooms, good staff »

Always enjoy staying here. Great views of the waterfront (wide area of Caloosahatchee River). Many casual restaurants near by and Hotel provides breakfast vouchers to adjacent IHOP. Hotel has a large dock on the riverfront and does not charge for docking.

    1
    « Ridiculous Policy »

We were moving from North Ft. Myers to a more northern city in Florida. I called and made a reservation with the hotel directly. They never asked if I was from the area, Lee County, Florida, or not. After a very long day of moving we arrived at the Best Western Fort Myers Waterfront and at that point we were told we could not stay there because they don't let local residents, ie: Lee County Residents, stay there! This was a complete shock to us and they had more than enough rooms to accommodate us! We ended up at a new hotel clear out by the airport (extremely inconvenient for us since the Best Western was around the corner from our old home). It's a very pathetic and stupid policy especially when it's not season! I wouldn't stay there now if they paid me the $135 for the night!

    « 2 night get away »

The view of this hotel of river saved the day. If you are a light sleeper this hotel may be a problem. The road was extremely busy and loud. The hotel is OK but could use some updating. The location however is great and that is why we booked. We went to the Edison Museum which was only 2.5 miles away. At night we went to the Broadway Palms-5 miles away and saw Chicago at the dinner theater. It was great. Downtown is just across the bridge. The desk staff was very nice and great with questions. We stayed for 2 nights and when we got back to hotel at 2:30pm 2nd day to rest and get ready for dinner room was not cleaned.

    « Incredible »

We have never stayed at a Best Western hotel and that sure is going to change! Of all the hotels we have stayed at this year (about two months worth. This hotel had the best view, service and value. It maximized the Florida experience.

« Check in time is not conidered »

After waiting for 2 hours to do my check in time I get a room that had dirty bed sheets. They were full to capacity and short on housekeeping. I felt sorry for the girls in the front desk they were very respectful and trying to keep the guest at ease but receiving a room with stains on the bed sheet didn't make the cut. Will I stay there again, never say never is my motto but reality is that next time I won't accept a room in that conditions again.

    « Bad Review »

I have already typed it out. Very dissatisfied with the room. Ceiling leaked and I slipped on the bathroom floor from the AC freezing up. Luckily I was not injured. Maintenance was there immediately There were roaches and other small bugs in the room and I had never even opened the slider window.

« Great hotel to stay st »

We love the balcony the water view is very relaxing. We have stayed at this hotel 4 different times for a week to 10 days. The employees are all very accommodating and any issues have been taken care immediately

« Needs to be knocked down and rebuilt »

Old, dirty, bugs, restaurant inedible, outdoor entrances. Way beyond renovation. Only pleasant experience was in the IHOP next door (they give you a breakfast coupon). Ordered a burger medium rare at the restaurant at 9pm (it was deserted). Waited 30 min and received shoeleather. Walked out and went to IHOP.

« Relax, Enjoy the View »

We were visiting the Edison & Ford Winter Estates and needed a place to stay. I chose the Best Western Waterfront for the river view offered in some rooms. We were on the fourth floor and the view of the river with Ft. Myers in the background was spectacular at night. During the day, the breeze from the water was delightful. The room was large, quiet, not over furnished (but convenient) and everything was clean. The air quality was excellent and we could open the sliding doors to allow fresh air. I can't remember when we could do this at any other hotel. I was impressed by the thoughtfulness of a personal modem on the desk. They seem to really care about the comfort and convenience of their guest. Breakfast is not on premises but the hotel has an arrangement of sorts with the IHop right across the parking lot. We got cards to present to the hostess, were given a very nice 'special' menu and ate for free. Clean, courteous and tasty! They even included my take out coffee in the free offer. The waterfront retaurant at the base of the hotel is very good. Service, food and convenience (especially if you want to have a drink or two) can't be beat. We also received a coupon for a free drink from the hotel. I don't think we've ever had a more pleasant stay. We aren't fussy. We don't make demands other than to have a comfortable stay and we certainly did. Can't wait to go back to Ft. Myers so we can stay again.

« Watch out for dirty bedding »

We are loyal to Best Western facilities when looking for somewhere to stay. Fort Myers Waterfront was by far the worst ever. The room smelled old. Though that could be overlooked by owning the patio door. The bedding on the bed could not. When we turned the bed down we were shocked to see the stain/ filth. There also looked like dried blood on it. Otherwise the bed had looked clean and made up when we arrived. The maintenance man who responded to our call changed the sheets, blanket and mattress pad which was also stained/ dirty. He seemed embarrassed. The morning desk personnel shrugged it off and said they would tell housekeeping.

the room was clean and the service was great. the seafood restaurant was excellent. the staff at front desk and the cleaning staff was friendly. the breakfast vouchers for ihop was good too but you were limited to what you could have free.

    « Perfect Setting »

Other than prices going up, this is still my go-to place in Fort Myers. It is convenient to downtown as well as my Eagle Watching up the road. Love the breakfast at IHOP - beats general hotel fare. First time I was not on the ground floor, so a much better view of the bay.

    5
    « Great View »

This hotel had a comfortable room and good service. It has a pool overlooking the river and the marina. One of my favorite restaurants , Three Fisherman, is actually in the hotel. Reasonable price and I would recommend it.

« What more could you ask for? »

Clean rooms with balcony (great view of Fort Myers and overlooking the river) Pool is also clean and poolside restaurant bar seems to be really popular, even with the locals. Breakfast is included in the rate over at IHOP, which is right on the premises. Quick ride to downtown if you're looking for more restaurant choices, but there is a great steakhouse next door and a Rib City that is within walking distance. This is a great hotel for the money. We will be back.

« Third stay this year »

Whenever we get the chance to do a getaway to Fort Myers, we stay at this BW. We LOVE the view from the balconies and the 3 Fishermen restaurant. It is not the newest or fanciest, but they do ongoing maintenance and improvements so we find it comfortable. The IHOP breakfast that is included is not huge, but just right for us and we appreciate the amenity.

    4
« Great Place to unwind. »

We would stay here again. View was outstanding. Close to every thing that we wanted to see. Close to IHOP. Only bad thing was we had a short visit. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this place to any one. We picked this place to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Not far from home but far enough we felt it was a mini vacation.

    5
    « Awesome location! »

This hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. The staff was super helpful and were so kind about having a late check out (as we were recovering from jet lag and needed that extra couple hours!) The views from the room are beautiful and the pool was great. I would recommend this to anyone traveling in the area!

    3
« Need to clean rooms better »

There where cob webs in the corners and the air vents needed to be cleaned. Mold in the shower and dirt/dust under the sink. Beds where wonderful and the view was stunning. Breakfast at IHOP was terrible.

« our birthday Thanksgiving get away »

Very relaxing a great place to stay, the restaurant for breakfast (IHOP) was very good and the Three Fisherman for lunch and dinner was fantastic both had an excellent staff. The staff at BW could not of been nicer or more professional. JUST A SUPER PLACE TO STAY.

« Yes There is a Waterfront View! »

Looking at most hotel waterfront hotels one always wonders if there really is a waterfront view from their room. Well this hotel has a great best kept secret... almost all rooms have a nice waterfront view! Hotel has two buildings with outside entrances. The rooms are clean and the beds comfy. I woiud stay here again.

    5
    « Waterfront Jewel! »

This is always a pleasure to stay at this Resort style Hotel, with waterfront rooms. they all have balconies or patios, that look out to the river, where we have seen Dolphins. Very exciting! You can't go wrong, large rooms, made to order real breakfast, and its Free. Very nice waterfront restaurant on property. If you are lucky enough to find a room. All I can say is book it!

    1
« If you like the smell of greasy frying fish this hotel is for you »

The 3 Fishermen restaurant sits in the middle of the two hotel buildings. So if you sit at the pool you have an overwhelming smell of greasy frying fish. If you sit on your balcony you smell greasy frying fish. If you leave the sliding glass door or curtain you smell greasy frying fish. What a shame the view is beautiful . The hotel is also close to the road so a lot of road noise. Very disappointing!

« Best Western North Ft. Myers »

TV did not work! I called the front desk and they said nothing could be done until the next day, which was the day I checked out. At checkout they said they could not take anything off of my bill because I prepaid. They offered to add more points to my Best Western rewards, in which I was not a member...I then joined so I would get extra points.....Really???

« Everything About This hotel was Pleasing! »

Very friendly staff!!! The room was clean and the decor was modern. The balcony was spacious with a splendid view. It was very quiet. The shrimp at the onsite restaurant was succulent. Totally awesome experience!

    5
    « Room with a view »

We enjoyed the beautiful view from our balcony, even took in a nice sunset over the river. The rooms was spacious and quiet and we really slept well on the mattress. I always enjoy the bigger bathrooms that BW offers in almost every of their locations.

    5
« Great Place to stay when visiting Ft Myers Fl »

We were throughly impressed with our room and view of the river. The room was clean androomy. The bed was comfortable. We stayed in the east tower. The only drawback was the traffic noise from Cleveland Ave. I would stay her again.

    4
    « One more night »

we would have liked to have stayed one more night, but apparently the hotel was completely booked. The view was awesome and the pool looked good, although we did not get time to use it. The breakfast is served at the IHOP next to the hotel. The meal was good bordering on great and the services was better than excellent.

    5
    « Great hotel, view, & food... »

My wife & I stayed here for three days and it was great! The room was big & clean with a great view of the Calloosahatchee River. The breakfast is @ the IHOP in the parking lot with a nice seafood restaurant for lunch/dinner between the two towers. Everyone was friendly & helpful here. If you are in the area STAY HERE!

    5
    « Great Stay »

When ever we have a chance we like staying at the BW Waterfront in North Fort Myers. The staff does a great job, the rooms are very clean and the view across the river looking at Fort Myers is fantastic.I would highly recommend this motel.

    « WOW! What a view! »

What a great surprise this place was! Not 1, but 2 restaurants right at this hotel! Views were fabulous and staff was excellent! We will definitly book here again. They are remodeling the outside and even the workers were pleasant and concerned about us. Looking forward to going back there!

    « PERFECT LOCATION »

I love this hotel, we stayed on business and it was perfect for location. The service was good, the price reasonable, rooms very clean and modern with a stunning view of the river and Ft Myers on the other side. Breakfast was at IHOP each morning which is always a winner. Truly had no downsides. No on site laundry mat but a good place was just around the corner.

    4
    « Nice view »

Nice view from every room pretty nice. The only thing is my son like his free breakfast buffet not available here. The staff was pretty nice I was just leaving from another hotel that was flooded and they helped.

« Great place to stay »

We had driven a long way and were tired. We were pleasantly surprised at the good rates offered by this hotel. The guy at check-in was so grumpy but grudgingly let us have a room in the sun. All the rooms overlooked the river and the views were great. The rooms were large and well appointed. The bathroom was huge with a bath. There was a microwave, fridge, tv, air con, and wi-fi in the room. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby and free breakfast at IHOP right next door. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

    « Waterfront hotel »

This is a wonderful place to stay - the rooms are spacious and each room has a waterfront balcony. It is very peaceful and quiet. There is an excellent restaurant located downstairs with great fresh seafood. This is my go-to hotel whenever I am in Ft. Myers for either business or pleasure!

    2
    « No sleep till... »

Noisy room - 4th floor but it sounded like I was in the parking lot. Room was hot then cold all night. I was woken at 3am and never could go back to sleep. Moldy old bathroom and very dirty elevator. Beer cans and beer poured in the floor.

    4
« Great location, needs renovation »

Excellent service at the desk. Great location, and view. The breakfast at the I-Hope with limited menu and needs to pay for any extra from the menu. The rooms and the hotel needs renovation. I recommend it to visitor for Fort Myer due to its location and its value

    3
« Little Bang For Your Buck. »

Room was clean, however lobby smelled like major pet odor. I understand that it is pet friendly, but that wasn't pleasant. Pool closes way to early and breakfast taste like we were eating in a school cafeteria. Expected a little more for the price of the rooms.

    2
    « Going down hill »

This property has continuously gone down hill over the last 3 years since I have stayed here... Rooms have pealing paint and ants... the rooms are noisy and we heard continuous loud yelling early in the morning by other guests... I had booked many room nights here over the years, but will no longer stay here... pricing is high for what you get and the whole place should be remodeled to stay relevant and competitive..

    « Let down »

We booked this hotel a week before Hurricane Irma was coming our way. The lady answering the phone on site booked our room and assured us that it would only be cancelled if the storm reached CAT 5 winds when approaching Florida. The day before the storm we packed up our family of 5 including 2 toddlers and secured our property feeling confident we would be safer at our hotel. We wanted to stay close in town because we also have livestock and such that we wanted to check on as soon as the storm was over. When we arrived, the hotel had a sign on the door saying they had closed and evacuated. I had then experienced major panic as I looked at my family wondering where we could go to be safe with such short notice. We were NEVER CALLED OR EMAILED about the cancellation and I have proof of that. And here we are getting emails asking how our stay was when we were totally left stranded and scared during the storm. HORRIBLE situation we were put through with this hotel. I don't believe their facility was under mandatory evacuation but either way, there was PLENTY of time to notify us beforehand.

We had a great time at this hotel the view of the river is awesome. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and we will be coming back again. The 3 Fisherman restaurant is really good. Its a great location close to the beaches but not that close.

« Great view and Great Staff »

Great location on the riverfront. Views from the rooms are amazing. The staff was exceptional from the front desk to housekeeping. Have to really acknowledge the contributions that Sandy, Rochelle, and Destiny made to our trip. They managed, after hours of work, to get our guys a clean, comfortable place to sleep after long hot days of getting power back to the Fort Myers area. We really appreciate all that you did for us. I hope to get back with the family some day before too long.

Thank you to Rachelle, Destiny, and Sandy! We had a great stay at your hotel. Thank you for working hard to accommodate us for Peco. The rooms were clean and the view was great. « Great Waterfront Hotel »

I had seen this hotel when in the area previously. I made a reservation here wanted to experience what it had to offer. The staff - Hilda - was exceptional. The staff offers service above and beyond the norm. This hotel fronts the river - the views are great. They also offer two restaurants on site - you never have to leave your room. My room was on the 4th floor - riverfront - very relaxing. The hotel is older - the rooms are very large. They offer you a free breakfast in the IHOP next door. The room was clean - some smudges on the microwave. A very quiet location. The staff at the IHOP was great especially Danny - the really care about the customers. The other restaurant on site is the 3 Fisherman. They offer direct television - great channel selection choices. This location is great close to dining and shopping and the city is across the bridge. I will be back here when I travel back to the area. Keep Up The Good Work !!!

« Always welcoming and the best hotel! »

    « Fallen from grace »

I was very disappointed in the room. I stayed in the same hotel six months before and I was truly amazed at the service. This time it was terrible. The room was small, and while it was clean, it just seemed dingy. This place has either changed management or something because it has fallen from grace.

    5
    « Get away weekend! »

Loved the 6th floor water side! Room was clean and up to date! The only complaint I had was that the bed closest to the window had a big time draft coming from the air conditioner. Changing the vents did not help due to them only moving a small amount and not enough to correct the problem.

    4
« Good Centrally Located Hotel »

We stayed at this property while visiting relatives in North Ft Myers. It is a great location right on the bay. The rooms are convenient, clean and in good shape. The hotel provides breakfast at the IHOP next door which is quite good. The only issue was the volume of guests going at the same time along with non-guests. So there was a wait one day for 30 minutes.

    5
    « Nice, clean, friendly »

We stayed a week here. It's conviently located to causeways, highways and restaurants. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The area seemed safe and was well lit. Small grass areas is you have a dog. We would stay here again.

    4
« Very nice hotel but internet needs work »

We were very happy with our very large King room. The free breakfast at IHOP was a delicious treat. The pool was wonderful. The view and sunsets were amazing. The internet was the worst. It was very unreliable and we were not able to connect or keep a connection once we were connected. Downloading email was a challenge. Don't rely on their wifi connection unless they do something major to revamp it.

    5
    « Loved this place »

    « Great Waterfront Hotel »

I like this hotel as it is close to everything we need to be by when we go to Fort Myers. It is on the water and you get breakfast at IHOP. The price is high for the area. The rooms all have balconies which is nice. I would ask for a room on a higher floor over looking the water.

My Stay was not that great the 1st room was gross the bathroom was very dirty had to clean it myself took pictures they moved me. It was better until the dead roach I found one day, and the elevator each I took was disgusting I wonder why they never cleaned it. I mean never. I stayed there 3 nights.

    « Exceeded our expectations! »

My husband and I rarely can travel together because we have to "special needs" dogs and one of us has to always be there with them. Then I discovered this hotel, and their dog-friendly policy! And they are true to their word! Our, rather large, dogs were welcomed at check-in with a doggie bandana! Our room was large and so relaxing! Restaurant on sight was a fun and delicious experience. (Casual with a great view!).Free breakfast at the iHop on site!

« Blown away by the staff and overall quality of this property! »

Had the pleasure of staying in one of their "Superior King Suites", and let me tell you, everything about this stay proved to be absolutely superior. From check-in to check-out, and everything in between, I could not have asked for a better experience. The front desk clerks named Skye and Hilda were especially helpful, and this property is extremely lucky to have these two dedicated employees at the head of house, making guest's experiences as wonderful as they did with mine! The view from this rooms river facing balcony is spectacular, and once paired with the delicious free breakfast from IHOP that they offer, there is simply nothing better. I would recommend this hotel over ANY others in the area in a heartbeat, so if you are in the area, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a beautiful stay!

    5
    « BEAUTIFUL VIEW »

Very clean, very friendly and helpful. The view is so nice, we left our curtains open all night. Only thing was the ice machine was broken on our floor, but not a big deal. Great docks for boats and next door was a place to rent water sports.

    1
    « Disappointed »

We reserved our 3 rooms months in advance & specifically asked for a higher room and not to be on the first floor. They put us on the 1st floor and 2 of the rooms were handicap rooms. We had to pay them an extra $50 just so we could switch one room. We did not have any wash cloths for three days because they said "they were out". They told us to just use the towels instead which were bulky and awkward. I had to go to Walmart at night with the kids past their bedtime to buy wash cloths so we could shower. I never heard of a hotel running out of wash clothes until i came here. We come here every year on vacation but we will not be returning. I did not expect the treatment we received especially since we were loyal customers to this hotel. I would rate this past experience a 0 if i could. I am so disappointed. My family did not enjoy the stay. This was supposed to be a fun vacation because we live in Tennessee but it was the opposite and stressful. This was the worst experience we have had with any hotel.

Great hotel, beautiful view, love the restaurant on the river, the room was huge with plenty of space... we love to stay here on our first night of vacation, usually Friday nights before heading over to Sanibel Island on Saturday. Also LOVE the free IHop breakfast included for each person staying in the room. Great choice of hotel!

    « Beautiful view!! »

We stayed at hotel for 6 nights, and we had a room with a beautiful view on ocean and pool. Rooms are very clean, only they need a little fan in bathroom because after you shower it gets very hot and steamy inside. I love the free breakfast in IHOP! And hotel itself is on close destination to different beaches and mall, but close driving destinations. We get a amazing deal on price and our stay was very exciting!!

« Hilda & Skye, very professional, polite, welcoming front desk receptionists + Number 1 choice »

I stayed here on the 4th of July weekend. I went to the front desk twice and experienced very professional, polite, welcoming team of receptionists (Hilda and Skye) I was surprised how Hilda quickly built reports with me and the costumers from the moment we entered, eye contact, smile, greetings, and all very professional and effective. When I told Skye about my bad day of losing my car key and losing time for the breakfast, she gave me a to-go package right away! She was caring about customers' needs and made quick actions. This made my day. They did the best for their business when no one was there to observe. They are precious assets for any business. I will definitely consider this place as my first choice any time I go to this city, because of them, also I will make sure that I will book my room directly through the hotel number as according to my experience and Hilda's information it is about %20 cheaper that Express deals on Priceline. The rooms were very clean, neat and in very good condition.

« Was very happy to stay again! »

I stayed at the Best Western Ft Meyers Waterfront for a second time last month. It was a quick trip, but I really enjoyed my stay. I love the restaurant they have onsite and the drink specials and service were excellent. Upon check out, Andrew at the front desk was suburb! I had some questions and he was able to accommodate all my requests and also helped me mail a postcard. Thank you for the excellent service, Andrew! The IHOP next door was a great treat too. I won't hesitate to visit this nice hotel again. Highly recommend!

« Great Stay in North Fort Myers »

This is a great hotel for work or play! It has a good location. It's close to a lot of things, restaurants within walking distance as well as on site. Room is nicely decorated with comfy bed, convenient coffee maker and plenty of outlets. Aside from seeing the top of the restaurant, most rooms have a beautiful water front view. The staff are always friendly and courteous. I like staying here for work, it's close to many of my customers. I'd stay here for a vacation too!

I loved the room and the view was amazing. They could have dusted the room, and they could have more channels on the tv but the wifi made up for it when it wasn't raining. But it's highly recommended.

« Needs better customer service personnel »

I travel three weeks out of every month for business. This hotel was average. My main comment would be that the staff needs more customer service training. They were rude and short with my check-in. My reservations were confirmed and paid for in advance so there should have been no problems.

    « A Great Vacation Spot »

My son, a Ft. Myers resident, recommended this hotel to stay in during our visit there. It will be my landing place from now on, when I travel to Ft. Myers. Great ambiance, clean and comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. One of the best restaurants in the area is right next to the hotel and it's right on the river. I loved it!. An IHop is also right on the property for breakfast and lunch. We certainly received value for the price.

« North Fort Meyers Best Western »

A great stay! Great staff, great food and very nice views! A very convenient location for us as we were traveling to other areas north of here. The IHOP breakfast voucher was a real deal. We had a balconey waterfront view which was very pleasing. Everyone from front desk to restaurant was very accommodating!

In town for baseball tournament staff was very accommodating and IHOP breakfast was a plus but cards are only worth $6 and change. So good to know in the future. Nice view out our room. Very clean and good location for where the fields were located.

    « Overrated Hotel »

This hotel was overrated, the room was dark and dingy, and outdated, needs remodel, the lounge smelled of smoke, the breakfast was at IHop and very limited in food variety. The view of the river was wonderful and the pool was very nice. Also the was a very restaurant at the hotel but separate from the hotel.

    « Great Stay »

We had a great time at this hotel. The setting was awesome and what a great way to end the night by sitting on the balcony and just looking at the beautiful sky and water. We did eat at the restaurant and it was great. The room was wonderful and very comfortable.

« No security for private information-- be aware!! »

This bw has an antique 'slider' to gather credit card numbers. SO-- if your card is a new chip-card---- without raised numbers--- they take it to the photo copier and copy both sides. !!!! They are "required" to retain this photocopy in their files. Perhaps they are unaware of the fact that many copiers leave a mirror image of that data on the copier drum? Perhaps they are unaware of the level of credit card theft that us is occurring?? This is unacceptable to me but I had no other option for the night. Come on!! Get the correct updated equipment!!

    « Spacious Room With a View »

We stayed one night on Saturday Memorial Weekend. We had a great rate through a baseball tournament. The lobby was busy but Destiny worked efficiently to get everyone taken care of. We were on the second floor with a limited view room. It had a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. We looked over the restaurant but could see the inlet just fine. The room was very large and so was the bathroom. Everything was clean and updated. The wifi was slow but usable. The entry door needs to be sealed better to block the outside noise. Walking on the "beach" was a short lived thought. Tucked in the corner of the inlet, a lot of rough shells, plants, and junk wash up. A couple of people were fishing from shore and the docks. The cocktails from the restaurant were refreshing by the pool on a hot day. There were plenty of people swimming and playing corn hole. We ate dinner at the 3 Fisherman on-site restaurant. Everything was fine but right out of 1990. The crab stuffing squeezed right from the tube from the supplier with literally a square of cheese melted on top. Baked potatoes wrapped in foil with the little round peel top margarine and a tube of sour cream. Should have known when 99% of the people in there and leaving were ummmm, older than me. You don't dare change what Fred and Ethel have been ordering every Tuesday night for 20 years. The balcony was enjoyable and the beds were comfy. The grounds were very clean and flowers and plants throughout. We received 2 vouchers for the IHOP across the parking lot. It was crowded but the food and service were good. We'll definitely stay again.

« Hotel was Nice, but Service was Bad »

For the price, very good. Beautiful view, nice breakfast. The only problem I had with the hotel was staff at the reception made us feel less than welcomed. Everything from finding our reservations, to getting the passes for the breakfast was an issue. They need to work on their customer service skills.

    « Great View! »

Our room had great view of the water, it was pet friendly. The pool was amazing and it was close to great restaurants. The staff was very friendly even gave our puppy a Best Western bandana!:) it was definetily on of the best BW hotel we have stayed at.

    « Misrepresented »

The hotel was tiny ugly dirty with stains on the sheets. In the pictures it looked much larger and had a great view but the outside was also very small and nothing special. Very disappointing. Did not stay longer then 10 minutes.

« Nice place for the price »

Great price, location on river has lovely waterfront. We just flew in and was looking to head to Sanibel right away. Little annoyed when I tried to check in an hour or so early and the front desk told me the room wasn't ready and they would call when it was. Traveling with small children, it was frustrating when she called 15 min. Later, we were already on our way out. Not a huge deal, but felt it was done as a formality. Place was nice, but don't eat at the seafood restaurant there. No Bueno.

    5
    « NICE »

I have stayed here twice now for work visits to Fort Meyer's. Check in is quick with friendly help. The view from the rooms is really nice of the Bay. It has a restaurant but I have not eaten there yet. It comes with free breakfast at the I-HOP next door to the motel. Rooms are large and clean, nice pool.

« Great Place for the Money »

Very Clean which is always #1 on my list of things needed!!! No problems with being disturbed. We stayed on the top floor and the view was amazing. Helpful Staff. Clean exterior! No problems with noise from neighbors and even thought he pool was right under us it was not loud in our room or on our balcony. Great place. Will return.

« Time Away with Friends and Family »

Bowling tournament - road trip. Awesome hotel ! Staff is friendly and helpful. Free breakfast at iHop on the premises. Great seafood restaurant in between the two towers of the hotel. Great staff there as well. Food is very good and you get plenty. Scenery is spectacular with birds, fish and dolphins right outside your balcony. Rooms are very spacious with all the amenities.

« Not what we booked. »

We booked two rooms through corporate office over the phone, one room wasn't ready as requested early check-in. The other room wasn't what we booked at all! 2 queen beds to accommodate 4 people, we ended up with one queen to share.

    « Florida Vacation »

My husband and I spent 2 nights at this hotel on our way down to the Everglades. We had originally booked one night, but liked it so much we decided to spend a second night there. The room with a balcony was very clean, comfortable and convenient. The view was fantastic. We enjoyed swimming in the pool in the afternoons, and had great seafood dinners in the adjoining restaurant both nights. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

« Second stay and consistently great accommodation for us and our dogs. »

This is our second stay at the Best Western Waterfront. Both times have been with friends on motorcycles for the quarterly bike night. Even though we arrive on motorcycles and in a group we are always made to feel very welcome. The fact that breakfast is included at IHop is just icing on an already wonderful cake. My wife doesn't ride, so she drives our dogs down and plays mother hen to the ride. Did I mention that this is a very dog friendly resort? It certainly is!! By the way, they have a great Seafood restaurant wi reasonable prices for wonderful meals. Don't take my word for the wonderful experience of a stay here. Get there and experience it for yourself. You absolutely will not be disappointed!

    « Pleasant atmosphere »

We loved that our back, sliding door patio area faced the tiki bar. The music shut down early and the bar was quiet. We were able to walk to the piers at night. I didn't care for the parking lot, very cramped. The refrigerator wasn't very cold and I turned on the microwave to heat up coffee and tripped a breaker, causing the one wall & TV to shut down. I called the front desk, the girl asked me if I was going to be there, I waited and waited then I had to leave, so I'm not sure when that was addressed. The shower pressure and height of the shower head was unacceptable, cheap! A visitor who came to pick us up stopped to use the 3 Fisherman restaurant bathroom, on his way to our room, it was dark, he turned on the light and either palmetto bugs or roaches scattered about. Our room was clean and mostly stocked. I didn't have any bug issues.

    4
    « Pleasant Stay Overall »

Very welcoming and accommodating staff - everyone I had contact with was attentive and helpful. Great riverfront location; rooms have balconies with beautiful river views. Property itself is older and could use some updating. My room was adequate, but could have been cleaner (doors had dirty smudge prints; bathroom floor was a bit grimy). I would stay here again, but would bring flip-flops to wear in my room. Aside from the cleanliness caveat - which is easily remedied - this is a great, no-frills hotel with excellent river views!

    4
    « My Stay »

My stay was good except the sugar ants and the Ihop were the complimentary breakfast was. The Steakhouse were you got a complimentary drink with dinner was highly over price. We instead went to 3 Fisherman's Restaurant and had a wonderful meal with reasonable price.

    « Lovely view »

We had a corner room on the 6th floor which was quite large and had a nice view of the intercoastal waterway. Free breakfast at IHOP next door was very good too. The Argentinian steak house next door was pricey but I enjoyed it.

« This is the 3rd time we visited... »

This is one of our favorite places to stay near Fort Myers. It's not at the beaches, but overlooks the bay and there is a small inland beach at the adjoining park. The views are lovely, the staff is nice, rooms are clean, and, even though the website does not mention breakfast, they give you vouchers to get breakfast at I-Hop which is right in front of the hotel. You can order from a limited menu, but they offered anything one might want, and if you want something additional, you can pay just a bit more. We were there during off-season, at the end of April, and it was pretty empty. When we were there before during high season, there were people waiting to be seated in the morning. There is a lovely outdoor pool, coffee, microwaves, and mini-fridges in the rooms. Rooms are updated and clean. Most, if not all, have water views. We have stayed here 3 times and will choose to stay here again if we come back. This location is north of Fort Myers, but quite close to downtown, and if you are going to head north, this is an ideal location.

    1
    « Poor quality »

The furniture could have been from this century. The bathroom fixtures were poor and scratched my hand. The "river view" patio door wouldn't open and had a sign on it saying "if this door is opened air conditioner will not work. Nice location wasted

    5
    « Very Comfortable »

Very comfortable, clean and beautiful location on the Sebastian River. Nice breakfast at IHOP and the 3 Fisherman's Restaurant was exceptional. The best thing was waking up to the beautiful view of the Sebastian River. If you can't stay on the gulf with a gulf view this is the next best thing.

« DO NOT STAY HERE...THEY DO NOT SUPPORT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY »

I booked a room at this hotel. I was coming from Bonita Springs for an event and wanted to enjoy downtown Fort Myers on a Friday evening without the drive home. I was called the day of the check in and told that they do not allow anyone form Lee County to stay here. Since I booked through an on-line service and pre-paid not only did I not have a place to stay but I was also out my money! Terrible customer service and absolutely not supporters of the arts and entertainment district downtown.

    5
    « Fabulous! »

Very nice property with great river views. Reasonably priced, very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent location, close to Downtown Ft. Myers, and Marina Town. The front-desk staff were very accommodating, and a courtesy call was made shortly after check-in to ensure we were pleased with the room. Nice pool area overlooking the river, with an on-the-premises restaurant. You won't be disappointed!

    4
    « Great value »

For the price, you can't beat this hotel. Overlooking the water in Ft. Myers, it is close to many attractions including Sanibel Island and Captiva. The restaurant on the property also has great views and reasonable prices. Also, it has a pool with a view and a dock for those who might arrive by boat.

« Best Western Fort Myers Waterfront Review »

I was At Best Western fFort Myers Waterfront for A Hockey Tournament involving my Sons Team. 4 days/5nights. The rooms were clean. The Front desk was helpful and the Breakfast helped in what was an otherwise expensive trip. In addition we used the restaurant several times for lunch and a team dinner and found the staff friendly and cooperative. Nothing but positives.

« Awesome place to stay in Fort Myers »

This place has an amazing view of the river, clean & friendly staff. Breakfast was included at Ihop -a plus. There is a seafood restaurant right on premises with also great views. The pool was heated. We will visited again in the future. .

« Worst stay at a BW ever! »

They claim to off "private balconies". No privacy there cause all foot traffic went by directly in front of my room & for their comfort, BW even offers them a sidewalk to use. My view was a brick wall. The rooms are old, clean but so old that I didn't want to use the shower but due to the 90 degree weather I had no other choice. Rust all around the drain & crud build-up on shower wall. High speed internet is not very fast.

    4
    « Scenic Option »

Most rooms here are nicely appointed and have a good view on the bay. Could rival many beach hotels, but it does have a bit of a cleanliness issue. Breakfast is optioned thru IHOP which is next door. It isn't a bad option but you are restricted to certain choices so don't expect the usual Best Western breakfast. On site restaurant for lunch or dinner has a good array of choices as well as a nice view. Fitness center is fairly decent. Refrig/microwave/coffee-maker are all in room.

    5
« Great Location at a reasonable price »

My son had a US Sailing program at Edison Sailing Center located right next to this hotel so location was perfect for his class. The view was great from our room. Everything was very clean. The restaurant was a great place to lunch if you are spending the day around the pool.

    « Pleasantly surprised! »

We stayed overnight after spending the holidays on Marco Island and needed a place that was fairly close to the airport as we had a very early flight the next day. I booked this hotel based on its location and what others that to say about it. Upon checking in at the front desk, hubs and I weren't expecting too much... wow, what a surprise when we walked in to our room. It was newly redecorated and right on the water with gorgeous views from the balcony. We ended up going down to the bar next to the pool and actually ran into people we knew from our town and they had the exact same reaction that we had. The next time we are in the north Fort Myers area and need a clean and relaxing place to stay with beautiful sunsets... this is the place I'm booking.

    5

We arrived late and had a jammed door at the room, could not get in. Night security came and stayed with us until we were given another room. Restful night; spectacular view of large river in the morning. Pleasant walk in nearby riverfront park after breakfast. Enjoyed seeing waterbirds scramble for their breakfast also. Very satisfied overall.

« Great view for the money »

When we booked our reservation, we were not familiar with the area. When we checked in, I was pleasantly surprised that the room had a private balcony with a beautiful view overlooking the water. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. I was also pleasantly surprised that instead of the usual crappy breakfast in the lobby, they gave us vouchers to use at the adjacent IHOP. All in all a very good experience that was better than I expected. I will definitely stay here again, the next time I am in the area.

    « Average hotel w/Great Views! »

East Tower rooms all face on to the river--a lovely view. Rooms are very clean, staff is courteous, and everything is well worth the price. Ample parking. Breakfast is at the iHop across the parking lot, but there are in-room coffee pots (no tea.) Internet is free.

« The rooms in this hotel are very dirty and very poor service »

Do not stay here. The bedding in my room was dirty. The carpet was dirty and not vacuumed. The bathroom floor was not cleaned - I could see dirt marks on it. The room smelled moldy and musty. The service was terrible. I was told I should talk to the housekeeping manager in the morning.

    2
    « What a disappointment »

Based on previous reviews I stayed here. I found the staff to be extremely unhelpful and the property had an overall unclean dated appearance. Though the location is ideal I would never stay here again. I never had a room smell that badly and when asked for assistance it was basically rejected. What a disappointment.

the hotel and staff was very nice , it was very clean , nice view , comfortable bed , it was a quick stop on a business trip , you get a voucher for breakfast at the IHOP next door , I was seated and given my menu , upon presenting my breakfast voucher I was rudely told that I couldn't order from the regular menu and was handed a menu with 7 item choices on it , portion size was that of a kids menu , Hotel is great , go eat someplace else for breakfast

very nice place, nice location, grounds and facilities clean, outdoor pool heated and clean, not 'over chlorinated'; only complaint was they skipped cleaning my room 2 times in 7 nights... I had 'do not disturb' sign out till about 10:00 am each day, but that should not have been the excuse.

    « Beautiful Room »

We took a short trip to Fort Myers Waterfront to tour the area attractions. Upon arrival the new front desk employee (don't remember her name, just moved to area from Miami) was very pleasant and helpful with information for our visit. Our room was in the tower and was updated very nicely. It had new carpeting, fresh paint, great bed and bedding, a very large bathroom and a small area with microwave and small refrigerator. We had a balcony that opened with a new table and two comfortable chairs. This Best Western had a beautiful view of the Caloosahatchee river from our room. There is a pool but we didn't have time to use it. Our room rate did include breakfast at the I Hop on grounds. Overall it was a great two night stay.

    « GREAT HOTEL »

Arrived the night before Hurricane Matthew. We were prepared for whatever we faced. Hotel was super nice and did not break the bank. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. We ate at 3 Fisherman two nights during our stay. A bit pricey but the food is delicious. The view of the sunset on the water was beautiful and I enjoyed sitting out on my own private balcony. We were there for a Perfect Game WWBA Showcase tourney so our time was limited in the room; but was very enjoyable while there. You can't go wrong with this property; small property but worth it.

Staff is good. The room was very clean. However, the bed was as hard as a rock. My wife even complained, and she prefers a firm bed. The pool had a chain lock on the gate at 8:00 PM. It is a good location, but the hotel is old but updated.

« Great location but Needs better Housekeeping »

we booked a standard room with double beds for my family of four. two adults and two kids. our room had a nice view of the waterfront and garden. the seafood restaurant on-site was great, good service, excellent food and great view. we had lunch while the kids were at the pool next to us. our only compliant was the housekeeping. right after we checked in, I wanted to take a shower and found some hair in the tub that I had to clean myself. also found some hair on the bathroom counter. that same night we went out to visit family and came back late directly to bed. next morning while my kids were playing on the bed we found a very disgusting bug (like a small cockroach) under my pillow. I took the bug to the front desk and the clerk didn't care that much. I asked for a late checkout for the next morning but she didn't authorize it. If we go back to that area we will not stay here.

Some rooms have better views than others but the sunsets are gorgeous back by the pool. The staff is the friendliest ever and you get breakfast at IHOP. They have a special menu he for the hotel but still plenty to pick from. The resteraunt next door was great! Very good food and prices.

We went on TA for the reviews first...we agreed with many reviews...the staff was excellent...IHOP is in the same parking lot for your breakfast...you get vouchers. The pool was clean and overlooked the river...we saw dolphins on two occasions, very cool. it is close to downtown fort myers. lots of shopping and great restaurants. it was only 10 minutes. It was very easy to get to the beaches from there also. Rooms are outdated...but really how much time do you really spend a lot of time in it.

    « Excellent hotel! »

Jessica at the front desk was WONDERFUL. She was incredibly accommodating as soon as we arrived helping us check in a little early. Breakfast IS included, they're in conjunction with the ihop in the shared parking lot. There's a menu to select from and items can be added for additional cost. We didn't get a chance to eat at the onsite restaurant, but it looked good and was fairly busy. The pool is great, wonderful view of the river. There's a dock off the back, our friends picked us up and went out boating, super easy if that serves your purpose. The rooms are huge and had Pantene for the hair care which was a nice surprise. Overall, will definitely be rebooking on a return trip to the area.

We planned a last minute weekend trip and had no problems getting a room. We were very happy they accepted pets as we always travel with our dog. She is an English Bulldog and just like our child. The rooms are very clean and the one we had very spacious. The view from balcony of the lake was gorgeous. The facility itself is a little older but has been kept up well. We truly enjoyed our stay and would return if we come back to the area again.

Won't take reservations from locals!! They cancelled my reservation and ruined my plans. Will never recommend to my friends and family visiting. They didn't even offer to help with another of their hotels around the area.... just bad business

« Very nice hotel for the price »

Very large, clean, updated room and bath. Large balcony. Very nice pool with an 8.6 ' deep end, excellent views and convenient to everything! Pet friendly without over charging. Very friendly accommodating staff.

« Not worth the money »

Spiders on ceiling, stains on walls, floor tile in bathroom filthy. Breakfast vouchers at I Hop have a limited menu and the servers there do not want to wait on you because they think that they won't get any gratuity.

« We love staying at this hotel. »

We have stayed at this hotel a few times a year for twenty years. The owners take great care of it. Every time we visit there is something that has been improved. We love the view of the Caloosahatchee River and the well kept swimming pool. The seafood restaurant on the property and the IHop next door add to the convenience of the property. The rooms are large and well furnished with comfortable beds.

    « Crob »

This is probably the hotel with the best views in Ft Myers. There are many rooms right on the water. Although the property is somewhat dated, it is very clean. Havent tried the restaurant and there is no complimentary breakfast. Overall good deal for the money.

« We enjoyed our stay very much »

We have stayed at BW Waterfront Fort Myers several times and always enjoy the view and the 3 Fisherman restaurant (happy hour drink prices and fish tacos...!) The front desk staff are friendly and efficient. On our last couple stays we were happy with the added benefit of the included breakfast at IHOP as we have always eaten there anyway. We look forward to our next stay.

« Mom and me mini vacation »

Everyone was so nice from front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and restaurant's. The view from the balcony was nice as well as the pool! The beds are very nice for a good night sleep. This Best Western is older but in great condition, and very clean.

« Would definitely come back! »

We stayed 2 weekday nights. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our 4th floor room was bigger than expected, very clean with a really nice view. It was quiet with tons of food options close. Nice pool easy parking. Would definitely come back.

    « Relaxing business trip »

I was on a business trip to the area and didn't want to fight the crowds so we opted to stay here. Good choice. The room was clean and comfortable with a good A/C and nice bathroom. It's an older hotel, typical of many BW, but well maintained. Pool looked good though I didn't swim and the private balcony, which you can actually access, was nice with an awesome view overlooking the river to the south. Free Breakfast was provided by the IHOP next door and was good with nice service. Overall a very pleasant stay and good value for price. Reason for 4 stars was 2 small dings. 1- a FEW of some type of very small ant or gnat type insect that we saw in our room, didn't bother us though. 2- room not as quiet ( walls between rooms) as it could be, not a problem on our trip because hotel was not very crowded this time of year, but could be more of an issue with a full house. Best recommendation is that I'll definitely stay here on next trip to the area.

    « Pet friendly! »

I am very excited to have found a place where I can bring my pets with me to stay! They allow up to 80lbs and are very accommodation. Other great perks are the free private pier and Ihop breakfast included!

    « Beautiful View! »

It got a bit noisy at times, but there was a wedding party staying in the hotel. However, the view alone is worth it! The restaurant on the property has good food too. The front desk person, Jessica, was VERY helpful, friendly, and professional.

    « "BEST" Best Western »

Very beautiful hotel, by far one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Great views, staff is excellent. Josh and the maintenance man went above and beyond their duties to make sure my stay was very comfortable!! All I can say is that the hotel was very nice and clean, comfortable beds etc.. But more importantly Josh and the maintenance man bent over backwards for me to ensure a great stay. Didn't want to leave.

    « Hotel Room »

How excited we were to be there for a family reunion. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The bed was infested with fleas. The staff was very efficient in moving us to another room which then had a red ant in the bed that bit up my legs during the night when I slept.I hesitated to report it but then I found it and showed the staff member a picture. Perhaps there were other bugs that came out in the night I don't know. The souvenirs I will take home are the bumps on my legs. The staff was very apologetic with this problem. I was compensated completed for this. We continued to participate in the family gatherings. Best Western needs to follow its own policies. Others might have had a great stay but it is very challenging to sleep comfortably after several days of being bitten by a hidden un-welcomed guest. And no we did not bring any animals with us on this trip.

    3
    « Waterfront - good »

For the price it is a nice hotel to spend a day or two maybe three but that is it, Parking was awful you have to place you vehicle way too far. Elevator helps and convenient but it is slow I mean slow.

    5
    « Excellent hotel!!! »

We stayed here 4 nights and this is our second time staying here. We would definitely stay here again! Very friendly staff, great waterfront view from our room, free breakfast at IHOP next door, tons of cable channels, very clean, in a safe neighborhood, and a nice sized updated room. Great value for our money!

« Best Western on the Water in Fort Meyers »

Great place to stay, beautiful view from our room. Restaurant is good. Breakfast at iHop was awesome. Room was clean, staff was friendly, we were close to the Edison Ford Estate which was a primary destination. Holiday Vacation Places will be happy to recommend!

« Great River view from my tower balcony! »

I agree with many of the positive reviews for this Best Western(BW). The 3 highlights for me: the river view from my 4th floor balcony room, the included breakfast at I-Hop, and the polite Front Desk person (Ms. Voorhis). The Reception Desk is in its own building near the I-Hop and the rooms are in two separate towers with a seafood restaurant sandwiched in-between. There seemed to be only one elevator for 6 floors in my tower (West) -- so there was a bit of a wait at times. My 4th floor room had sliding glass doors to a nice balcony with a sitting area overlooking the pool and a very nice river view. In the room was a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, flat screen TV, and desk. The bathroom was unusually large for typical BWs. For breakfast at I-Hop, I presented my BW coupon and was handed a BW menu that included a choice of eggs, hash browns, pancakes, toast, tea, coffee, juice. Having waiter service was nice when compared to a typical BW buffet-style breakfast. Before arriving, I had to call for directions because my GPS would not recognize the North Cleveland Ave address and sent me to South Cleveland Ave instead; however, Ms.Voorhis was able to give me clear directions politely while handling guests checking-in -- she was the only one at the Front Desk for both checking in and checking out times while answering the phone and guests' queries in a remarkably efficient manner -- very notable in these days of declining customer service. I was going to stay at another nearby BW but I'm glad I chose this one with its riverfront location.

« Fine hotel, nice rooms »

The Best Western Fort Meyers at the Waterfront has been one of the best 'Best Western' hotels we have visited over the years. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are king-size and more. Most rooms (floor 3 and above) have a nice view over the water from your own balcony. Breakfast is served at the neighboring IHOP and of a good quality, even without paying extra.

    3
    « July 4th Fireworks are awesome »

We stayed two nights over the 4th of July holiday -as we have in years past. The rooms could stand some renovation but the view of the fireworks over the river cannot be beat!!! They are not over to the locals except on New Years Eve and July 4th which is a shame...

    « Worst stay ever »

We had issues throughout our stay beginning with check in. We initially arrived before 4 and our room was not ready. I can understand that as check in is not until 4, so we went and had a late lunch. We came back around 4:30 and the room was still not ready. The man at the front desk initially told us we would just have to wait. After explaining that was not acceptable to me, he switched our room to one that was ready. The next morning, we had ants in the bathroom and around the refrigerator/microwave area. Maintenance came to spray and while it helped, we still battled ants. That same night, when we returned to the room, the AC was not working and we had to sleep in the room at 80*. Maintenance attempted to fix, but was unable to do so. Day 3 still had the room at a toasty 80*. The front desk was unable/unwilling to switch our room for the duration of our stay. They're only solution was to switch us room to room each day. We made the decision to checkout and go to another hotel. Then the battle was getting out of our reservation without penalty. It was over an hour before that was resolved and we were assured that we would not be penalized for early checkout. The manager also agreed to comp us for the one night with no AC. Even though the issues we faced were resolved, no guest should ever have to experience the problems we faced.

« Great Stay Except for ant and roaches »

Was in Fort Myers for a family reunion. The stay was great, staff fantastic, pool was warm, they even had a deal with the I-Hop next door for free breakfast. The only issue was that the beds were a little hard and the bathroom had a lot of little ants (there was no food in that area), and a few roaches. The rooms should be treated for pests on a regular basis.

    « 4th of July 2016 »

This is a wonderful hotel. It is older and has charm has been renovated beautifully. The staff is very nice and helpful. This place is very clean. They have made several changes and improvements since our last visit. Larger deck/dock to walk out on or to fish from. Including breakfast at Ihop with your room stay.close to everything.quiet and relaxing with great views of the river, downtown Ft Myers.

    5
« returning again for the view too »

Back for another visit, and never disappointed. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. Rooms have a good waterfront view. a small park is right around the corner, and people can be seen on the small beach and fishing pier. There is a good restaurant, of if you prefer - a pancake house is across the parking lot. The property shows that it is well cared for.

« Average hotel with nice view of water »

My wife and I stayed here for one night before we headed to Fort Myers Beach. This is your average hotel with normal accommodations. The rooms all have a balcony that overlook the river, but since it is directly on the water there were little flies and bugs everywhere so you could not enjoy the balcony. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel but it is very dated and did not look to clean. Since my room was not ready BW gave me a coupon for free drink which was nice, but I drank my free beer and left the restaurant quickly. One thing that was good with the stay is that the free breakfast with your stay is to the IHOP next door.

    5
    « Great stay! »

Clean, roomy, and a perfect "in-between' hotel. Stayed a couple of nights before flight out and everything was great! IHOP breakfast that's a short walk. 3 Fisherman on site with wonderful staff and a large (and clean) swimming pool.

    5
    « Very Pleasent »

This was the second time here. I love this place for the price. Friendly staff and lovely restaurant. Arrived real late this visit but still room was clean and nice, and updated from visit prior. I was pleasantly surprised.

    « very nice stay »

the room was very clean and warm to be in. I had a problem with the remote twice ,called the front desk, they sent someone within 10 min. The next morning we went to the I Hop for a free breakfast that was also very good. We will be back next year.

« Great Place To Stay »

Wonderful views, comfortable room, average breakfast. We would stay again. Right on river and great price. Dinner at seafood rest. was very good. The breakfast at Ihop was very limited. Would like more choices. Bed was comfortable and micro and fridge were nice amenities.

    5
« Excellent views, Service, and location! »

We stayed at this hotel while vacationing in Fort Myers Area, and the stay was wonderful. The hotel is an older hotel that has undergone extensive renovation. The rates were extremely competitive, and the amenities were awesome! For breakfast, they give you coupons for an Ihop that is on the property. There is also a very nice seafood restaurant on the property as well, we did not eat there, so I cant offer any review on it. If you are in Fort Myers, I highly recommend this hotel!

    3
    « good except for 3rd shift »

nice hotel nestled midst a couple hotels full of crackheads. clean hotel, nice beds. 3rd shift failed to run off local drunks who kept me up and breakfast at Ihop instead of continental was very inconvenient. I had to take my service dog into ihop and listen to locals say negative things about it.

    5
    « Wonderful View »

This hotel has an amazing river view! The hotel is clean and updated. The pool is nice. We will stay again. My only complaint is we could hear the trash pick up very early in the morning. The location is minutes from the mall and a lot of restaurants.

    5
    « Pampering Personified »

This facility is over 40 years old and they have done an excellent job with a, formerly, basic hotel. It is not a five star property, but it is clean, comfortable and has beautiful views. The Caloosahatchee is brackish water at this point so salt water creatures can be spotted here. I sat on the balcony and watched a lone dolphin cavorting as I sipped my coffee one morning. The river runs east to west so you enjoy the benefit of both sunrise and sunset views. The staff is excellent. They are engaging and caring without being obtrusive. All you have to do is ask. They will cheerfully go the distance to make your stay pleasant. You are given vouchers for breakfast at the IHOP next door. The breakfast servers are definitely morning people-upbeat and happy to serve. The Three Fishermen restaurant, attached to the hotel is pricey and the quality is negligible at best. Fried items are over battered and fried dry. The Chart House, opposite the hotel on the other side of the river has comparable prices and far better food. You can't go wrong here.

    « Great view & stay!! »

We stayed at the BW Waterfront over Memorial day weekend for a total of 3 days. The view was great, beds were very comfortable, staff was very friendly and the room was clean. What else can you ask for :). We really enjoyed our stay and the included daily IHOP breakfast for two was a great plus. It was very nice just sitting on the balcony, overlooking the pool and Caloosahatchee River. Highly recommended!

    « Great View (mostly) »

Hotel was easy to find and check in was flawless. We had room 621 in the west tower. The room was large, clean and appeared recently refurbished. The river view was very nice with the exception noted below.Shower was hot and had good flow. Breakfast was next door at IHOP, service was quick and the food (limited menu) was a nice change from the typical waffles. Elevators available. Con: Room 621 is directly above the restaurant and the exhaust fans push the cooking odors up. The wonderful view of the river is seen over the roof and the pigeons that roost here. We will use this hotel again but now know to request a room at the other end of the hotel.

« Great location on the Caloosahatchee River »

This a very nice property! We stayed overnight May 24, 2016. We had a ground floor room in the East Wing which had a beautiful view of the river and pier. We had lunch at the on-site riverfront restaurant and bar. It was very nice and the food and drinks were great. We had dinner about half mile away at Cactus Jacks - highly recommended. But back to the hotel, check in was efficient and our room was ready early. The room was large and clean and the TV had the Best Western signature sanitary remote control. The bath room was clean and tidy. Every room has a patio or balcony so even though smoking isn't allowed in the rooms smokers have easy access to the outdoors. Access is easy off I-75 and parking is plentiful. Every room comes with breakfast at the on-site IHOP (limited menu for guests but better than a serve yourself buffet). Price for all this was very reasonable. I've always been a Best Western fan and this hotel represents the best of the brand!

    5
    « Beautiful view »

What a great hotel. I had a waterfront room that overlooked the river. I could not have asked for a more relaxing place. I was visiting for a business trip so having a nice view to come back to after working all day was awesome! The staff was fantastic and the breakfast was unbelievable.....they give every guest a voucher for IHOP next door. That was brilliant! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling. It's very affordably priced and in a great location.

    « A great experience »

From start to finish a great experience. I was in Cape Coral, Florida to photograph the local Burrowing Owls, and as always I enjoy staying in the Best Westerns for their exceptional service and comfort. I highly recommend this hotel and location while in the Ft. Meyers/ Cape Coral area of Florida.

    4
    « Nice view , solid hotel »

This property has a riverfront location , friendly staff, and good restaurant. The breakfast with the room is at the IHOP across the parking lot. It consists of a choice of abt 6 items. A nice change from In house serve yourself breakfasts that most chains provide. Suggestion, get a room on an upper floor so you can enjoy open curtains and sliders but not sacrifice privacy. The bird watching was excellent while we were there. A pleasant stay overall with a great view

    5
« Great time for all... »

we had a wonderful stay. clean rooms, great service, great poolside restaurant and bar. minutes from downtown Fort Meyers, sunsets were great. You are right in the middle of everything. we highly recomend this hotel.

    5
« Many Times at This Hotel »

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 20 years. My children live on the other coast so am usually alone on Mother's Days. It is easy to get to from I-75, and every room has a waterfront view, It has become a yearly tradition for me!

    2
    « cleaning is lacking »

the staff was friendly, the rooms are in need of a spruce up and deep deep cleaning. rust on shower walls and nooks and crannies are full of years of dirt. the room was to be non smoking but the people below were smoking and the smell came up. you can hear neighbors and then a group of 20ish males were hanging about the halls at 1am and drunk and loud

    3
    « Okay »

I'm confused! What free breakfast? My room cost $13 more per person for my limited menu breakfast. Also room 615 is one of the smallest rooms I've ever stayed in. There were ants in the bathroom. The window will was covered in bugs and dust. The tray in the fridge had tomato sauce blobbed in it. No towels at the pool. Did I stay at the same hotel? Not really worth $140 a night. However, the view is awesome!

    5
    « Pleasantly Surprised »

For the money, the overall stay was exceptional. Clean and comfortable. Nice view. Convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Two minor issues we had were taken care of promptly and professionally. Nice pool and restaurant/bar on property. Free breakfast at IHOP next door. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful View from the patio deck, all friendly staff with smiles and very talkative. They take pride in their work. With a great tasting Seafood Restaurant . Also a swimming pool over looking the river. One morning I had the experience of watching the dolphins swim around in the river. Once in a lifetime opportunity to see this!

« Huge rooms with great views »

We spent 2 nights in this hotel in conjunction with selling our house. Huge room with 2 queen beds and lots of space to roam around. The restaurant - Three Fishermen - is fine and the breakfast is a limited menu at I-Hop which is good value. It is also walking distance to other restaurants and to a small beach. In all a very pleasant stay.

  • 5
« Excellent Views and Value »

The views from the hotel room were magnificent, both day and night. The hotel has an agreement with IHOP which shares a parking lot with the hotel. A short walk and your eating items off a limited menu,(HOTEL PAID) but enough choices to start your day. A regular menu is also available for purchase. On Sunday there were Sailboats doing trials right in front of our windows. It was great just sitting on the deck, tea in hand, and watching the boats and waves. Would return again in the future.

    « Overall Good »

A little mix up at check-in but the staff fixed it pretty quickly. Very accommodating and the view is amazing. We had a first floor room that opened up to the court yard. The staff were very friendly.

    4
    « Wonderful location »

Large room with great balcony overlooking river. Good, convenient location. Was not expecting breakfast however, were given coupons for adjacent IHOP. If using GPS use North Fort Myers for town or it may take you to wrong location.

« Forced to find another hotel late at night. »

We live locally and needed a place to stay overnight because of a flood in our condo. We had mold removal and drywall demo going on. We booked Best Western. In the hotel lobby we found out that it has a policy in which they will not rent to locals and we were left to look for another place to stay. It was late at night and we were tired and sleepy as we left the best Western lobby to find another hotel. Plus we had to wait 5 business days for our money back. In the future we will never patronize a best Western hotel

    3
    « Okay Stay »

Pier was unusable. Booked this hotel so we could fish on the property. There is a public pier next to the property but very crowded. Initial room was a joke. East Tower overlooks a roof. Ask for the West Tower. Nice Pool and great view if you get a good room. Front desk was professional and nice but for $900 for 4 nights I would have expected more.

    4
    « A very pleasant location »

Our first trip to Fort Myers, we have stayed at Best Western locations in the past. I reserved an accessible room, and had a first-floor room, right next to the pool and restaurant between the two towers of the hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and all the rooms have balconies overlooking the Caloosahatchie River - very pretty! The only drawback is that because of the proximity to the restaurant, we had to draw the balcony curtains in the evenings. Recommend a lighter-floor room if you want to have the view all day!

    4
« Nice older Best Western »

This is a "Good-Nice" older Best Western that overlooks the inter coastal water way. I have to say that our room was very nice and spacious, however the bathroom looked to be in disrepair. It had mismatched ceiling tile, paint flaking off of ceiling tile grids, and some stains over the shower that appeared to be cigarette burns. Other than the bathroom, this is a place that I would stay at again.

    4
    « Awesome View »

We stayed at this hotel for five nights, although it's an older hotel the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the river view from our balcony was just beautiful. All of the staff that we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. It's a great central location to all of the beaches in the Fort Myers area, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

    « Helpful Staff »

Thought we made a reservation 5 months ago. Unfortunately, never pressed "send" Arrived at the hotel only to be told that tee Cass no reservation in our name. The receptionist (Rochelle) was extremely helpful in finding us a room (with a view) at a price that was not exorbitant. She was even able to give us a room next to our friends who did have a confirmed reservation. There was a great pub with good food overlooking the river and the pool. Very comfortable beds. The only downside is that the bathroom really needed redecorating and the blinds and window in the bathroom needed cleaning. All in all, a very good place for a stopover on our eYes to Sanibel

« Short stay for Spring Training »

Booked this hotel through an agent in UK. It was a few bucks cheaper than hotels closer to the Jet Blue Stadium. It is as the name says on the waterfront, lovely views. Rochelle could not have been more helpful, sorted out a good quality taxi for me from the airport, found a cheaper alternative when my friend and I wanted a cheap cab to a local brewery. Both cabs - Excellent. 3 Fishermen Restaurant was very good indeed, didn't try IHOP but It was sure busy. Room was spotless, OK so the bath taps and fixtures maybe looked a little tired, but it was a good clean room with a very comfortable bed. Air con was noisy... But I've had far worse. Overall a very good stay. Also it proved to be a good place to lose your mobile phone! I managed to mislay mine in their computer room whilst printing off my boarding pass, realising my stupidity 3 hours later I return to find some kind soul had handed it in. Very honest Access to and from is a little tricky for those of us not used to doing U turns off major highways, but otherwise it is very conveniently placed for Jet Blue, (Red Sox) and Sarasota (Orioles) Oh and there's a good craft brewery just down US41 (Old Soul) and whilst the general area looks as if some of the places had seen better days, it's not badly run down and untidy. It's a little way out of town so you need a cab to get to the watering holes. Overall, very good indeed

The View from the Balcony was spectacular . Was able to obtain early check in , so I could enjoy the Pool , before heading out to the Red Sox Game at Jet Blue Park . Food at the Lunch Place was good . Free Breakfast at IHOP included . The Pool and the view made the Hotel , otherwise , not the most spectacular fanciest of Hotels . Could use a Jacuzzi by the Pool area and while the lounge chairs were comfortable, could use an outside couch and cabanas

    « Average Hotel »

Needed a place to stay while attending a Spring Training game and wanted to try something different. Location was about 20 minutes from the stadium, which wasn't bad at all. Easy drive to and from game. Hotel has two towers which are both located right on the Caloosahatchee River. I had a king bed room on the 5th floor, both towers have 6 floors. View from the balcony was outstanding and very peaceful. Room itself is nothing special. Bathroom seemed outdated with some rust spots on tub/shower bar. Bed was very comfortable. Nice flat screen TV with DirecTV service with a lot of channels, which was unexpected, but much appreciated. Wifi seemed to work pretty good and parking was easy and close by. Neighborhood did not seem that bad, however I did not explore much nearby hotel. Check in was very quick and the front desk women was extremely friendly and nice. (Sorry, can't remember her name). Free breakfast is included at the IHOP, with a limited menu, which is right next door. There is a seafood restaurant located at the hotel, however I did not find there. Overall pretty good stay, no issues.

    « what a view »

Beautiful view and very nice facility. Older but very nicely updated and maintained. Rooms and baths are spacious and very clean. closets with doors are a nice plus. Very comfortable with a big balcony and gorgeous water view. Pool is big and clean with plenty of lounge chairs. The adjoining seafood restaurant is casual with very good food and the complimentary breakfast at IHOP was quick and sufficient, with a decent selection of good food. We had a great time and there were no problems. Overall a very enjoyable. I come from a long Hospitality industry background at 4 star urban hotels and for what this hotels does, it does it well. Thanks!

« Great place to stay »

This was out fifth visit to this property and we thoroughly enjoy it. It is right on the water...the manatees and porpoises come in each morning and they are so close you can almost touch them. Restaurant a little pricey and not associated with hotel, so no room charging, but food and menu are excellent. Staff outstanding!

    3
« Nice location but overpriced for what it offers »

Pros: right on the water; high quality mattress; good family-style restaurant on the property. Cons: expensive; inadequate sound-proofing of rooms; cheap towels; refrigerator and air conditioning generated noise all night; and breakfast coupon for IHOP next door provided no healthy choices. Last note: access to the hotel from the road is awkward from the south, because of where it is on a two lane highway. When you leave, it's easy to go south but a little tricky to head north.

    4
    « Best waterfront view »

This property has a great waterfront view, nice restaurants, heated clean pool. Rooms are clean, nicely appointed and have fabulous balconies. Located near vibrant downtown activities. Stayed here while on business, but felt like I was on vacation.

    2
    « go anywhere else »

We heard a lot of noise from the restaurant below, the exterior hallways were slippery/greasy & dirty. This property is old and needs to be brought up to 2016 standards. All rooms in our building seemed to have the same view, which was the restaurant below. Call us crazy, but we expect a rental property to be as nice as or nicer than our home, or why go for a getaway? This property was not, and we would never stay at this particular property again.

    « Nice Hotel!!! »

Hotel was very nice, clean and friendly. Minutes to I75 and Beaches. Cost was the factor for me. I should have researched the hotels. This was a recommendation. A few miles towards I75 there were cheaper hotels. Free breakfast helped, but still I think 162.00 a night was too much. When I return next March, I know I will. I will check other places first.

Although the rooms are located in two block towers, the views of Fort Myers and the water are quite pleasing. The pool looked large and inviting. Our room was typical of a motel, but good quality and clean. The popular restaurant next door is convenient for dinner and the vouchers for breakfast at the adjacent IHOP were a plus.

This hotel is located in a lovely location looking at the river. Great place for Rest. The room was very clean and quite large. Even though it had doors directly to the outside, it was very quiet. We would definitely book and room here again if we are ever in the Ft Myers/Cape Coral area.

very nice and affordable...Pool area could use a hot tub The food was pretty good at the restaurant...the I HOP was convenient but the menu selection for the coupons received is probably not worth the room rate increase of 20/night

    « Awful Experience »

The hotel room was not inexpensive. The lobby was not in the building we stayed in. When we checked in to our room, there was a terrible grinding noise. This was at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. We wanted to rest for an hour before we had to get ready for a wedding that we were attending. I called the desk and she said that she would find out what the noise was. She wasn't even aware of what was happening. I had to call back and she said that they were sanding above us and hope to be done by 6:00. There was no rest as the noise was awful. The front desk said that they were sorry but there wasn't anything that could be done. There was no accommodations, room change or refund of any kind offered. I would not recommend staying there and would think twice about staying at a Best Western, given a choice.

« Would not stay here again unless security and insect control improves »

I am in a wheelchair and rented a beach wheelchair and found friends to help me to go shelling in Sanibel. I left some of my best shells on our patio behind a chair and touching our patio door. My shells were stolen. Staff told me that there have been quite a few thefts recently. But there was nothing they could do about it. We also had over 100 sugar/ghost ants in our bed under the strip of fabric at the end of our bed. After complaining I was only refunded $60.00. After a weeks stay I was very disappointed in this "resolution".

« Nice location in Fort Myers »

Stayed in the Fort Myers area for a couple of days/nights, found this location which was in a perfect location for us on the Cape Coral side of the river. Was pleased to get a ground floor room (which I don't usually like) that looked out on the Caloosahatchie. It was surprisingly quiet for a ground floor room. Although we gave up some privacy it was cool to sit out on the patio each evening with a cocktail and watch the river go by.

We had about 10+ rooms in the hotel and view was amazing by the water. The price was good for it to also include breakfast. The size of the room was also great, didn't feel small and we had people in & out of our rooms but never felt crowded. I personally would stay at this hotel again without a doubt. It was also clean which is very important to us. Elevator is slow but overall no issues with venue.

    « We'll Definitely Return »

Spent 10 days here to get out of winter weather. Not really sure what to expect, but were we pleasantly surprised. Th counter staff was competent, professional, and friendly. Our room was on the fifth floor and, of course, overlooked the Caloosahatchee River. The view was stunning. The room itself was large, clean, and easy to live in. Not once did we feel cramped at all. Plenty of towels in a large bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping attended the room daily, so it was always like we just checked in. Mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave, free internet, breakfast included at the adjacent IHOP and great views. We'll be back for 2 weeks in 2017.

    « Beautiful views! »

Really enjoyed our giant room and the lovely view outside. The room was super clean and really quiet. There are elevators. Breakfast is done next door at the IHOP on a voucher system and was pretty good. We ate at the other on-site restaurant, the 3 fisherman and it was gross. I sent my food back. Anyway, it was a really nice stay and the location is super close to the edison/Ford homes if you are going there.

Very nice and attentive staff, live music was nice. Fitness center allowed a quick workout. A jog along the waterfront. Breakfast next door at Ihop was fine. Extremely Large room. Wonderful stay. The hotel is close to many activities, and down town night life. we had and excellent stay,

Had a great view of the water. Pool was heated and there was plenty of chairs and room. Restaurant on the property had live music each day and the food was good. Price was fair for in-season. received breakfast coupons for an IHOP next door for a hot breakfast.

Came from the Keys on our way home, needed a stop in between. Best place we stayed in our whole trip and the other two were Hilton and Marriott. Beautiful balcony views, high end decorating, onsite restaurants. Will stay here again when in the area. Close to Sanibel/Captiva beaches, on the river, Edison celebration even gave us fireworks.

Priceline had this hotel for $195 a night where as all others were in the high $200's.. We stayed in arm 311. Had awesome views of water and skyline. Large room with 2 dbl beds and sleeper sofa. Balcony that would sit 4 comfortably. Only con was the traffic noise from bridge nearby.

« Great place to stay- clean and remodeled! »

We stayed here for two on our way to Sanibel. This Best Western was great! Rooms have all been remodeled and the hotel and grounds are well kept. Our room was in East Tower on the 5th floor. Room was clean, large bathroom and great balcony with Southern exposure overlooking the river/bay. Actually could layout and suntan on the balcony as the sun was great! They have a nice pool which was warm and never too crowded. The hotel staff and cleaning/maid service were all very pleasant. In fact, we had to check out early after booking 3 nights and the front desk could not have more accommodating and only charged us for the two nights we stayed. There is a small, but nice fitness center on property too. There is a restaurant on site, "3 Fisherman Seafood", which we did not eat at, and is probably the one thing that I would change at this hotel. The restaurant is located between the two buildings by the pool and has a gorgeous waterfront view/dining. However, the place always smelled "fishy" when we walked by and never saw more than six people eating in there during peak times. We asked another couple who ate there if they liked it and they said it was "so-so" and would not go back. The one day we were by the pool we had a drink at the bar. When we told the waitress we would not be eating, she "snatched" our menus and marched off. I think a good "chain restaurant like TGI Fridays, or a Trader Vics would better serve this place. There is an Ihop right in front to the hotel and we ate there twice. Excellent food and of course the best pancakes in the world. Also, the Best Western gives you free breakfast coupons for each day of your stay-very nice! We will definitely stay here again when in the area. Very clean, and affordable.

    « Couples »

Our overall stay here was just acceptable. Some of the staff were friendly, others were not. The first room we were given on the first floor felt like we were in a box with no view of the water, which is one of the reasons we picked this hotel on Priceline. Good thing our TV was not working so the Maint. guy got the girl to upgrade our room, so now we have a view, but our frig hums all not and does not work. Noise level outside was not good. I don't think we will stay here again, but if we are in the area again we may come to the Fisherman's restaurant on site. That food was excellent and our waiter was nice. I think this is a 2.5* hotel....not 3* as advertised online.

    « Great View »

I had to go to Fort Myers on business and I stayed at the Best Western Waterfront and the room they gave me was great. I had a great view of the swimming pool, and of the lovely ocean. I was so relaxing to return to the room and open the glass door and sit on the bacony to relax and mediate.

    « Wonderful river view »

Very good location, all rooms facing the river, 6 floor building with elevator, two towers, free parking, spacious rooms and bathrooms, nice breakfast at iHop, close to downtown Fort Myers whit a lot of bars and restaurants. Close to Edson & Ford estates and Mc Gregor boulevard

« Great Location and View »

I had to book near downtown Fort Myers for work and this was the nicest place within my budget. Staff were courteous and quick with both check in and check out. My room included a large balcony overlooking the river and downtown. The room was clean and contained a microwave and mini-fridge. I used the breakfast ticket at IHOP one morning and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was and that I was not treated poorly because I had a "free" meal ticket. I never used the Wifi, pool, or attached restaurant so I cannot comment on them. My only complaint is my own fault. As a lone female traveler I prefer to stay in hotels where the doors open into a central interior hallway for safety reasons. The doors here open outside and anyone can access the elevator. However, I felt mostly safe as the area was nice enough and well lit.

« Great Views & the price is Right »

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. They have had all the rooms made over. Clean & Comfortable. The views form the balconies are very nice. The hotel breakfast (included) is at the Perkins Restaurant next door. The voucher they give you is for a limited but very nice breakfast. There is even a sailboat rental next door. I paid $135 for an upper floor (The views are better there). That is an incredible price for this time of year. (January) I will stay here again & again.

The Best Western Fort Myers Waterfront hotel is in a great location and with balconies looking out over the water it is a great place to just relax and take in the sights. Sundown from the balcony is wonderful.

    « Nice stay »

Room was large, clean and comfortable. It was also very convenient to other local business. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a great view of the river and a private balcony to look at it from. The breakfast was at IHOP next door and was included with our room (we had 8 different items to choose from). This was better than any other "hotel" breakfast I have ever had. A very nice stay.

    3
« Right on the Waterfront »

The location alone is five star. Right on the Caloosahatchee river. We had a second story room and had a perfect view of the water. There is a restaurant between the hotel and the river and I can see that some people might have their view blocked by that building. The restaurant is in the middle so ask for rooms at the end - probably the west end. We had a king room and it was a good size. It had two closets - one of which was mostly filled with the minifridge and microwave (which was a good thing - when we closed the closet door you couldn't hear the fridge. There was a desk, a hard back side chair, a dresser with a flat screen tv and two nightstands. The bed and pillows were ok, you certainly don't get the quality there that some of the pricier hotels have. Included in the price is breakfast at the IHOP in the parking lot. This is much better than the breakfast included at some hotels. You order from a limited menu. Food there is OK. We had two problems during our stay. One is the noise. The hotel is next to highway 41 and the road noise was high as we were in a room closest to the road. You also get noise from the restaurant's entertainers, from the parking lot and the normal door slamming and plumbing noises. So bring ear plugs. The larger problem was that our door was hard to open and close. This lead to us returning to our room twice and finding that the maid had not closed the door to where it locked. The second time it was actually ajar. We've traveled a lot and I don't recall this every happening once, let alone on consecutive nights. We had called the desk the first time so we were pretty surprised it happened again. As fantastic as the view was I just am not sure I would return to this hotel. I think the security issue overrides any of the positives that we had.

    « A visit to Ft Myers »

We spent three nights here while on a visit to Florida and a very good experience. The front desk staff were smiling whenever pproached the desk and were most helpful. You can eat all meals within walking. The rooms were quiet, clean, nice décor and the beds were comfortable and we had a nice view of the river from our room.

    « Room with a view »

It was a dark and stormy night... we got a room just in time to see a storm come in over the river and we sat on the big balcony and storm watched. The room was spacious and super clean with good pillows. The staff were friendly. There is a sea food restaurant and a IHOP which was very convenient. You get a food vouchers for two free breakfasts. I suggest the rooms on the 4th floor or higher especially if you use your balcony due to the food smell and noise from the restaurant is better. There is a outdoor pool and exercise room and a nice small beach and parkette by the river.

    « Eh okay »

My cousin and I stayed here for a week in December. The hotel was located in a weird area and not really Fort Myers. It looked kind of scary from the outside. There is breakfast included but it is at the IHOP next door. Not bad but we didn't know that it would be at the restaurant. The view of the room was beautiful because we got to see the pool and the waterfront. The room itself wasn't great either especially the bathroom. We both agreed that we would probably not stay here again.

    « Family Visit »

Great visit to see family. We stayed at the Best Western on the waterfront for 4 nights. Price was excellent and staff at the front desk was friendly. Our only issue was that the room size was tiny. Bathroom huge and bedroom small. Location and view of the water were great too. Located next to many eating establishments. Found a great ice cream shop within walking distance. We revisited frequently (DD'S ).

« Not living up to the promises »

We booked a superior river view room which also was supposed to be over-sized. The issue was that we got placed on ground and second floor. I.e it was not even possible to see the river from the first floor. The explanation given was that the superior was not connected to view but to size. We felt slightly fooled and emailed manager as none was onsite. No reply was given and upon check-out the new clerk at desk explained to another guest that the rooms on 5&6th floor was superior view whilst 1st floor was standard. So paid more but got no response from any reaponsible person. In addition the breakfast at Ihop was chaotic. Too many guests, too few seats. You get what you pay for was our conclusion.

We planned this overnight stay to go around down town Ft Myers and the Hotel was very close to everything. We had the free breakfast at Hi Hop which was pretty good. Everyone was very nice. « Right on the Pier »

I love the location and the fact that guests are able to advenure into the water activities and visit the pier for fishing. I didnt make it to the bar thats attached but it looks really nice and had lots of people. Checkin was simple, very nice facility and nice people. I like that the breakfast was at Ihop. There is a limited menu but its great to feel as if you went out for breakfast and yet your room is next door. The lobby is detached from the "towers" where the rooms are. Though this is great, I like having a lobby be close to the rooms preferably centrally located. The rooms are pretty nice and have grand views of the water. The hotel is a nice stay.

    « Enjoyed our get-away »

We have stayed at this BW several times. This was a little get-away to visit the Ford & Edison Christmas display and the location is convenient to that. We always eat at the 3 Fishermen restaurant on site and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. The rooms are generally clean and comfortable. The water views from the rooms and the restaurant are the main reason we return. The only real downside is the traffic noise, but we are aware of it and choose to stay here anyway.

    « Forget this spot »

I am so disappointed in this Best Western. I would not recommend this. Stayed 3 days. Room was nice. Lovely view! The customer service - nil. None. We got 2 key cards and every single time we came back to the room, our keys would not work. Mind you, we each had one. Neither would work. I was so annoyed by the 3rd time & asked, "can you tell us why our cards never work?" Front desk gal states, it's how you store them. When you put them by anything magnetic, such as your cell phone or whatever, it de magnetizes them. Now this was an an old excuse in the years the key card was invented. We travel often. Not only do we know better than to store our card by such a device, this simply does not happen in any other hotel we stay in over the years ... It was not just us! Other guests were expressing to us they had the same issue. Aside from this issue the front desk service was simply "all attitude". I have not experienced this kind of attitude, "I don't care what's going" since I was a 13 year old brat. We experienced 2 couples making complaints only to be told, 'that's the way it is" ... Absolutely NO customer service.

You can't stay here if you are a Florida resident!! All the rooms are waterfront with a beautiful view. They are very spacious and have a large patio. Rooms are updated very nicely. « Do not book this hotel »

I booked this hotel through Hotwire and was looking forward to my stay. After a VERY long day of travel we arrived around 11:30 pm. I found out that the hotel cancelled my reservation because someone else had come in and offered a higher rate. There were no available rooms within close distance available that night. We managed to find one room in a different hotel. I called Hotwire the next day and visited with an agent. She contacted the hotel and the manager he said that I had called the day before and cancelled--an outright lie. The Hotwire agent was going to put us on a 3 way call to resolve the problem they hung up. Also, as we were waiting in the lobby to see what we could do for a room another couple came in to report $400 stolen from their room. THINK TWICE before booking with this hotel.

Stayed 3 nights in October and enjoyed the location just next to the river. I had a room on 6th floor with a lovely view towards Ft. Myers. Location is fine with a short distance to downtown Ft. Only spot is the breakfast deal which I didn't find attractive. Your better of paying the regular price at the restaurant.

You are close to everything, Sanibel beaches, Naples and Marco Island and even visited Sarasota to see family. Loved downtown Fort Myers with the quaint restaurants. Very nice staff at the registration desk. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Liked the coffee maker and mini frig. Great value. The pool was great and we were the only ones there when we visited.

    « STAY AWAY! »

By far the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel. I have been in and out of hotel rooms for the last 5 years for work and have never had anything close to this occur. Stay away from these people. They are liars and thieves. After my stay I noticed an extra $150 charge on my credit card. I called the hotel and spoke with someone at the front desk. She advised me this charge was for smoking in my room but their was no documentation of it and that I would have to speak with someone in management regarding it. For the next three days I called multiple times a day, left several messages for a member of management but never received any type of communication in return. I called the customer service number due to the lack of response. Customer service created a file regarding the situation and sent it to the hotel for them to respond to me within a specified time. Two days later I received a call from the manager (Ashley) at the hotel. She told me that charge was for smoking in the room and that they would keep the charge as is. I informed her that I don't even smoke, how am I being charged for this? Their was also no documentation of it according to the front desk staff and customer service. She stated it was documented in the house keeping files and the other people don't have access to them. Regardless, I don't smoke! After beating around the bush and not coming out and saying it she finally stated that it was for smoking marijuana in the room. Members of staff supposedly witnessed smoke coming out of the room and when they went in the next day for cleaning it smelled like smoke. She also stated that I was lucky that they didn't call the police. At this point I am obviously very angry because this in no way shape or form happened. I said if I was smoking in my room then why didn't the staff say something or come to my room? She said that the staff wasn't supposed to confront people in that situation because it could be dangerous for them. Fair enough! Why didn't you call the cops then? I wish they would have because if they did then none of this would have occurred because I don't smoke...anything! They also could of called the room and said something so there wasn't a physical confrontation. Their was never any mention of me supposedly smoking or being charged for it when I checked out or at any other time. After 10 minutes of arguing about it she said she would split the charge with me and only pay $75. That's great, that's better than $150 but not for something I didn't do especially when they cant provide any documentation or proof besides the staffs word which is apparently more valuable than their customers word. She also offered to compensate for the incident on a future stay. Right...because I will ever come back to this hotel. Now you know... if their are illegal activities going on at their property they wont do anything about it or call the cops. Real safe environment to stay in! However, they will charge you for something you didn't do without saying a word to you about it. Congratulations Best Western! You just lost a customer for life over $150 and a lying staff!

    « Tired and Worn »

Very nice and helpful people at the front desk. The view of the water is great, the pool looked inviting. That's the good part. The rooms and rest of the facility are tired, worn and less than one might expect for $99 per night. Plus the entrance is very difficult to navigate unless you've been there before, otherwise you find yourself crossing the bridge to another town and coming back to try again.

    « A Room with a View »

We spent 2 nights at this hotel on our visit to Florida. Good large room and bathrooms. For the most part clean but carpets felt a little sticky in places. The best part about the room were the great views out to the river, the best wake up views of any of the hotels we stayed at :D Nice little gym which we made use of each morning. The swimming pool looked good with towels provided but we didn't actually get time to try it out as we were visiting friends in the area. Lots of restaurants close by including an IHOP immediately next to it and a seafood restaurant next door which we didn't try. Would be happy to stay here again.

    « View at a resonable price »

We had a nice room with a great view of the bay at a quarter of the price of most water front properties. The hotel was still being upgraded on the outside but the rooms were nice and the view was great.

    « Snooty Rat Hole »

Stay away! Unless you want to get out of your shower and have the bathroom floors instantly turn to mud, that's after sleeping in a funky smelling room( who knows what was on the rest of the floors) then paying for your breakfast next door because there is no breakfast area here. Then dealing with a snooty front desk person who everytime we mentioned something her response was well you had a view of the pool and river. Who cares about watching grandparents with grandchildren in the pool. Or anyone for that matter. 0

Hotel views and rooms very good for the money. Staff was also very good and helpful. Value for the money was also very good. We stayed 5 nights. The only thing we did not like was the condition of the elevator area outside the rooms in the east tower where there were bird droppings and other droppings. The inside of the elevator was also dirty and the elevators were very slow.
