The hotel is nice. It is located near many cool attractions such as Souq Waqif, the Islamic Art Museum, the Pearl Monument. It is very easy to get to the hotel from the airport. The breakfast is good.

We stayed at Best Western for one night, since we were just in transit...The hotel staff is nice,and our double room was huge. The bed was very comfortable...it's just that we had no towels in the bathroom. Otherwise,the hotel was very nice.

Krossroads... I can say it's the best place here in doha. Amazing bar with all the staff are working in this place. Special thanks for joy and cristy... Both of them are amazing. I'm staying regularly in the hotel , I would say it is the best choice with best prices , the rooms are specious and clean , bed is very comfortable, room is clean as well , they have nice spa and gym , the swimming pool is a bit small but ok

It was a very pleasant stay this hotel usually in my weekend, the receptionist was so kind with warmly welcomed. Staff's were always helpful and so kind to making easier on my every stay with nice room, truly make me feel so comfortable. Restaurants clean and delicious, abundant good food and very friendly staff. Location is very good beside everything. the atmosphere of the hotel was so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

I stayed in room 604. The room is big, nice &neat and got it affordably.I enjoyed a lot with foods and also from bar. Big thanks to all receptionist who welcomed me warmly that night specially for giving me a late check out. I'll come back very soon.

Its not a perfect hotel but for me its the best one to visit with family and friends. The ambiance of the room is neat and comfy which brought us a relaxing stay.Otherhand, staff from reception going through the housekeeping were so nice and accomodating. I've been to this hotel several times, i'm really thankful for staying in , the hotel is well situated near to all tourism attractions as the islamic museum, cornish and Souq wakif... My mother and I have checked in to the hotel provided by the airline. And the guy at the réception is really rude. No welcome nothing, I asked if breakfast is provided, he firmly said no. We asked if we could eat and if room service is available, he answered we work 24hours, you call we will bring.... remember now that we've left home since 1:30pm and landed in Doha at 12 am.Issues at the airport delayed us, and we just got to the hotel about an hour ago- I forgot to mention my mom is diabetic and on insulin, it's now 3:04am. Trying to call room service, reception even laundry and no one is picking up the phone, this is an absolute revolt of an hotel. Apart from the bell boy who was super nice, I would rather sit at airport for 10 hours then come back to this hotel.

Started getting a room beside lift shaft, 6 floors under the disco. Spent the night until 02:00 feeling bed and pillow vibrate to the music. Asked for another room, got a quite large room with a minibar refrigerator that was not cooling, and a safe showing “batteri low” every time I operated it. Asked 3 times for maintenance to sort out the issues, no response at all. Stayed the 2 weeks I had booked, and decided not to return.

Although the overall stay was okay, it should no longer have a 4 star rating. The bathrooms should get a definite upgrade. The baths seem to be build in afterwards in the place of the showers, and can not be cleaned between the glass and the baths! The towels were thin and weary and out of the 4 night stay we have to callt two nights for towels. After waiting 30 minutes we have to call again. All over, it is definitly not 4 star!

The best part is its location followed by value for money, and yes the top floor club adds cheery on the top :). Rooms are spacious with good facilities. Staff is friendly and helpful. Two of the four elevators were not working which was a bit of inconvenience. Overall recommended for a good stay !!

We were placed in this hotel by Qatar airways as our flight was cancelled. After an amazing holiday resort in Male to this ! The bed was broken and creaked all night . The bathroom was dirty with pubic hair in the sink and stained towels . The food was cold . We went to the Irish bar on the 14th floor , just for a look really and were treated in a disgusting manor by a black man in the door . He laughed at us and was really aggressive for no reason ( we are taking this complaint further with your hotel chain as this man needs to be aware of his attitude to guests ) . Vile place . Steer clear .

Very nice hotel with big size rooms. Very clean, good smell in every place. The food is good. But the pool very cold it's not heated,it's covered,my kids didn't like it at all. Staff are very friendly.

Terrible room (floor was slippery danger dirty you should see the window like construction not completed) It was written that sea view diplomatic suit but not. Personel and service was terrible. Breakfast was the worst breakfast I had. personel only make their breakfast in restaurant it was terrible terrible how some people wrote it was perfect. We read these review and decide to stay. Again from the front desk to restaurant it was terrible Room OMG you can not sleep because of noise from air condition some sound from outside again I DONT SUGGEST TO GO

I booked this hotel for family around 10 days back. My family arrived few hours before me. I was really shocked when I discovered that the respectable hotel gave them a smoking room!!!! Although booking was a non smoking room and it was obvious that this room is for a family with two kids!! A really bad impression that the respectable hotel made use that I wasn't there with my kids and they tricked by occupying a smoking room despite non smoking room was available. When I arrived to hotel I changed the room. The funny thing the new room was equipped with a plugged basin!!!!

I am from Tokyo and travelling with my son. This is my first time in Doha, without any idea where to go and where to stay. We have to stay in Doha for almost a month from March 6. So, I thought of asking some help from my cousin who is living in Doha and referred me to stay at Best Western Plus Hotel. We were so delighted with the warm welcome of the staff at the Reception, we arrived early morning as early as 2am and they welcomed us. Mr. Sandeep and Ms. Maribel are very approachable and amiable. The room is big where you can relax. Sometimes there are some noisy guests but it is usual even if you stay in a five star. Overall, we had an excellent stay! The housekeeping staff who was assigned to us are nice people too, so generous to my needs. For travellers who want some leisure, there is also a captivating bar at the higher level inside the hotel. The location is convenient and just 350-500meters to different restaurants. Museums are just nearby where you can take a walk or ride a taxi for 10riyals. Shopping centers are not too far. I will miss Doha and will definitely be back soon! My son and I enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Hotel. We love it! We really appreciate the overall kindness they gave to us. Our wonderful experience begun from warm smiles of the staff. Will definitely recommend to my friends and colleagues!

Dirty hotel. dirty room. broken window lock. noise all the time. Rubbish breakfast no taste at all in the breakfast food. No tea or coffee or juices or even water unless you ask them they will give you glass of water. Staff are not professional they have no care of guests I am regularly travel around the world but I have never seen this sort of dirty rubbish hotel. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone I stayed 5 nights in room 715 I had horrible experience. What photos they show in advertising the hotel there is nothing like that. I am Diamond member BW Reward but they did not bother to acknowledge my elite status.

The hotel is located near the ocean and about 20 minutes from the Airport. It is a beautifull property with 3 or 4 types of restaurants and a irish pub. We hate in the loby restaurant 9A BUFFET) that offered middle east dishes (excellent). Our breception upon check in was done to perfection. The room was big with bedroom and large sitting area. The bathroom also big and with full aminities. They also have a smoking erea in the lobby where you can enjoy a non alcoolic beverage...Nothing but good to say about this property.

"Great Location, But... "

Generally speaking, this hotel is in great location. We saw most of Dohas attractions in one day, on foot. The rooms are what to be expected from a Best Western with a bit of Qatar "pizzazz". A special callout to Samer at the Front Desk for his Über friendliness. Do again? See you in April!

"A Nightmare"

I stayed overnight in this hotel not imagining it would be a nightmare. They were nice enough to upgrade me to the Deluxe room but my experience with that left me wondering what the Standard rooms may be like. The room had no heating and no hot shower. Simple utilities like slippers and hair dryers were not provided. A plumber took a hour to fix the hot water at night but it was gone when I woke up the next day. Another one hour and the plumber gave up asking me to wait which meant leaving for my meeting just like that. The wifi was the worst I had experienced in the Middle East. It simply didnt work and after several calls it was fixed only to conk out again. The only saving grace was the location. Apparently the hotel was called Coral first and mant cab drivers didnt even know about this one. Nearly missed my flight trying to find the hotel!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Best Western in Doha. It is easy & well situated to be able to walk to the old town. We preferred the rooms with a view. But the Hotel's bedrooms were comfortable & well appointed. We enjoyed their breakfasts & also had other nice meals there. On one of my visits I also received a good massage there.

Stayed in this great hotel in transit through Doha, rooms we were given were fantastic suites. well appointed and clean. The staff were very friendly. Having been treated well and enjoying our clean luxurious rooms we got to carry on with our journey refreshed and revived. The Irish pub upstairs is also good.

Starting from entry bouncer are miss behaving and come to service staff need to well trained about product knowledge and examples they don't even know the meaning of hospitality, I order for beer and ask with glass but they service in use glass and its totally smelling, I ask to change the beer but waiter service with the bottle its was upset night!!

This is great getaway place to hang-up you hat at the end of a long day, peace and quiet. For the price, you can't beat it, very clean, well organize; with a great selection of food on the breakfast buffet. Negative, there is no restaurant/bars or major stores with in walking distances.

"Two narrow beds for four person."

I wrote this in the guest book of hotel website first. However, I couldn't read my review so that I don't know it is shown there. My family and I stayed at BWPD overnight during our long lay over to Nwe York. It was a courtesy of the airline. Our family consists of 4 members. Young lady at check in desk suggested me to take a large room instead of two seperate rooms. Since my daughters are technically minors, I accepted the suggestion. The room actually is for two person. There were two bedsbin the room which were not wide enough for two person to sleep on. My wife and I did not sleep well. My daughters also complained of narrow bed. Complimentery drinks were for two person. When I asked for toothbrush, I got two. I had to asked for two more. Apart from that I don't have a problem with the hotel and employees. Employees are polite and efficient. If I don't feel like I am cheated, our stay at BWPD would be a nice one.

"I was sleeping - frontdesk called me to ask which company I am working at"

How rude is it when you have already fallen asleep (10 PM) and the front desk is calling and asking you which company you are working at and when asked why is it, they cannot give a proper reason. Just because they cannot find my booking. They could have just asked upon checking in or when checking out. Staff should be more professional.

"Customer service turned a good start to a bad ending"

I booked a 4 night stay and 2 rooms at the Best western Plus Doha Qatar for my birthday get away. On check in the reception staff was really kind and upgraded my room and had a cake sent up. I thought wow this is gonna be a good weekend. Unfortunately not. The wifi did not work at first so I had to wait about an hour to get it sorted, the room had no robes or slipper so had to ask housekeeping,who did a really good job, to bring us some. The TV stations did not work and when asking reception to have a look at it the lady at the desk just told me to watch channel 7 that will be fine. So I only had one channel to watch the entire weekend. I was not able to sample the food of the hotel, I wanted to order some in room breakfast one morning, and after a very rude conversation over the phone with a man wanting me to come down to the buffet and stating that they could not do room service breakfast I gave up on even trying to get food at the hotel. The hotel itself is also very noisy with elevator bells and trolleys moving 24/7. The indoor pool was really nothing special either. Careful of the mini bar in the rooms you cant get these things much, much cheaper from a store than in the hotel. The one area that I truly enjoined both facilities and staff, was the spa, The staff where professional the treatment where great and the steam and sauna area is really good, I did however find it strange that the charges cannot go to your room account and have to be paid immediately at reception on the ground floor, so one of the spa staff need to accompany you from the 16th floor to the ground floor to go pay for your treatment.

"Worst customer service"

I had a advance booking through Orbitz . Com . I checked in on april 17 th . The lady on front desk was very knowledge . They gave us a room the air-conditioned did not worked , any how they changed our room . In the morning at 6.00 am when I went to check out the front desk guy his name is Mustafa was extremely rude and very unprofessional . He started accusing me that I have no advance prepaid booking . He swiped my credit card in front of me twice and he was keep accusing me that my booking is through Expedia and its not not advance booking . I have to show him the proof he is not able to see any documents in hotel file . I showed him my email but that so called manager do not know what is prepaid or advance booking means due to all this drama he got me late for airport and he have no regret for his behavior. Over all hotel was good and location was perfect too . I liked the hotel but due to him I will not stay in that hotel any more .

"Qatar airways free stay"

We were gifted a free stay from Qatar airways since we had a long layover. Although we couldn't stay a full night, it was definitely worth going there. Very nice hotel, rooms are huge and in my experience, very clean. There was lots of construction going on; but it can be ignored once you're inside the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This Best Western Plus is also close to a main road, and within walking distance of a nice skyline view, or boat rides if you desire. Beautiful at night!! Definitely recommend.

"Great location, and easy to find"

Due to very much crowded airport of Doha, my friend and I arrived late to the hotel, after midnight coming from Kuwait. We also had a friend coming from Dubai, so he did the check in instead of me (as the booking was on my name for 2 people), and they upgraded us from standared Double Room to a Junior suite, and after discussing with Mr. Hani and the front desk personnel Mr. Mustafa, they agreed to upgrade by paying only 100 QR for the 3rd person. They were very helpful and the service was good. The suite was very big, and the sofa bed was specious and comfy. Breakfast was a very huge open buffet, with a huge varaity of food. The swimming pool was small and not that good, but the steam and Sauna rooms were excellent, jacuzzi was not working. In general, the staff are very helpful with a beautiful smile all the time. And I dont want to forget to thanks Ms. Daria, the morning front desk personnel as well.

nice big clean room, friendly staff, good choice of food for each meal. Wifi in rooms free tee or cofee available in lobby by staff, very friendly receptions personnel and in lobby store. Uber taxi working ok., or you can order one by reception. Tv channels in more languages arabs french english. All billding and elevators coveted by security cameras. Hotel is clean with modern furniture. But you dont have Bar with beer in hotel.

This is My choice of hotel as the company I work for use another hotel across the road but I prefer the Best Western Plus. I have been coming here for over a year and I find the staff helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and beds are clean. The Tv system is awkward to use but I just turn the volume down and it turns itself off. It can be noisy at prayer time as there is a mosque across the road and you can hear call to prayer. The food is good quality and the price is the best. The hotel location is close to supermarket,Big Market with lots of food places to eat. I enjoy every stay here.

"Nowhere near 5 star"

Our flight was delayed leading to a missed connection, Qatar then arranged to put my wife and I (plus about another 14 passengers) in the Best Western Plus. From the start it was a debacle - the hotel representative at the airport didn't have a sign so took some tracking down. Once located he advised the party it would be 30 minutes for the shuttle. After 40 minutes he then said it would be a further 20 minutes. After 30 minutes he said 5 minutes. By this time the poor guy was hiding in various places in the airport : by the men's toilets, round the corner of the elevators, outside etc... he had the look of a man given bad info and expected to sell it to some exhausted passengers. After a trip to the Qatar "customer service desk" where we we fobbed off by a grinning, almost laughing representative, we were advised 5 minutes..... After best part of 2 hours a shuttle finally turned up and we squeezed all party members on the bus for the 15 minutes journey (where did this shuttle originate to take 2 hours? Dubai?) On arrival to the very worn looking hotel we had to queue while rooms were assigned. Eventually arriving in it room: a very spacious suite style room with a sofa bed plus chairs in one part and a king size bed in the other. Both tv came on in each part but wouldn't respond to either remote control leaving no other option but to turn off at the mains. The room was primarily to get some rest and refresh before returning to the airport for a 1am second attempt at a rearranged flight. The room A/C was set at 18 degrees - freezing and a complete shock after 37 degrees outside. The shower was..... disgusting. Mold, mildew, grime... we both agreed a further shower would be required to clean off had we attempted to use it. Food was provided at a cap of 100 QAR - this was a pleasant and varied buffet including delightful cakes (counting one of the three stars I gave this review). There was nothing to do in the hotel or from what we could see in the surrounding area. No information was provided so we asked for an early transfer back to the airport as we were utterly bored. I will gladly not return to this hotel even if free.

Noisy, old rooms, slow elevators with waits up to 20 minutes on peak moments, bad food, ... should I go on? Had a suite, you can simply hear what the people in the suite underneath are saying, or doing... staff is just using the elevators as they please and ram you with their carts while you are inside. You will never see me here again

Worst experience of life at the Best Western Doha Plus. Poor location. The entire hotel is smoking. You have to wait for hours to get service. Even the manager is not interested in serving you. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY here. Better go to a 2 star hotel.

I'm a pretty easy going guy when I'm away on business. All I want is a bed, breakfast, shower and a quiet room. Now I'm 5 days into a 7 day stay at the Best Western Plus Doha and at 11pm I've had to pack all my gear (shirts, suits etc) and move rooms because renovation is taking place on my corridor and they're not planning on stopping until past 11.30pm (or so I'm told by the unhelpful and rude reception staff). Full story below: Refurbishment has been taking place on the 4th and 5th floor since my arrival. This is by no means a bad thing in a hotel as they usually only work during office hours. However, The Best Western Plus has decided to work through the night. Now I can put up with the noxious smell of paint for a few days, I suppose you have to. But if I have a full day of meetings planned then I need at least a good nights sleep. At 10pm I jumped into bed as I have a full day tomorrow. At 10.30 they were still cutting tiles in a room two doors down from me, but they may have well been cutting them next to my bed. I picked up the phone to call reception. It told me all the lines were vacant. I got dressed and went downstairs to the reception to stand in line for 5 minutes. I asked politely what time they were stopping. She said in a few weeks (I don't think that was even a joke). I explained I meant tonight. She called maintenance and was simply told later than 11.30pm. I asked could they stop now while people were in bed. Instead I was given a key and told to move rooms. Not once did anyone even apologise or seem interested. So I had to pack all my gear up, including laptop and work etc and put it back in my case. Take it 5 floors up and unpack again to ensure I'm ready for tomorrow. Not only that, but my room has a window that wont shut. Don't know if you've ever been to Doha before but let me tell you, its loud. Traffic is 24/7 and the morning call to prayer is 4.53am. And that's pretty loud. This caps off a pretty rubbish experience here anyway because of the following: • Rude staff • Poor breakfast choices and quality • Bugs in the sauna • Staff only ever try to give you expensive ‘limousines' and refuse to help you hail a taxi • At least one elevator must be broke and the rest take a week to get to you. All in all, this is the worst hotel I've stayed in and I can honestly say I've stayed in a few. Avoid at all costs!

Qatar Airlines paid for our stay at the Best Western Hotel, Doha, as we had a 23 hours wait for our first flight on to Adelaide Australia. We were given a very nice king-size room with bathroom, plus meals/drinks to the value of 150 Qatar Dollars each person, which was more than enough to give us two huge meals. We had breakfast and lunch which were presented in a big buffet with amazing choice of food. Both meals were extremely nice. The Best Western is also very conveniently placed for walking to the Souk (market area), and Museum of Islamic Art..

Located about 15 minutes away from the airport, this hotel is very comfortable with large rooms and reasonable breakfast platter. The Souq Waif is hardly 5 minutes drive from the hotel and so is the Museum of Islamic Art. The staff is very helpful.

This topic is not specific to the hotel, however from views of the lobby area, i am not sure it is that spectacular as a property. This topic is specific to the night club that operates within this property, absolutely terrible and to be avoided by any party goer who is looking for a night out in a decent environment. Those who want R&B Music, this place plays it all night, which is fine, however its the crowd and the way the place is managed, just poor, poor, poor. I believe they used to operate in a 5-Star property, but based on the visit, i can imagine that property removed them based on the complaints and the crowd attracted. A location for majority wannabe gangsters. This hotel should lose the A-1 Factor and move towards a better business suggestion.

My title says it all. The bass from the nightclub will shake your bed and windows in your room until 2am. The hotel moved me to the first floor after six phone calls to the desk and one call to Best Western customer service. I also had a non-smoking room and every time the AC kicked on, it blew cigarette smoke into my room. So unless either of those things appeal to you, I would find another hotel.

Qatar Airways placed my family (including 2-year old son) and I here for a nearly 24-hr layover while returning home to US from vacation in India back in Jan 2014. When front desk saw our young son they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a suite and provided a crib. Though slightly dated and worn down, the two-room suite was extremely roomy and quiet. After check in we enjoyed the complimentary lunch buffet - surprisingly number of choices and all good. Cannot comment on front desk or other services as we did not use them. In any event, from what we saw we would not hesitate to stay here again under similar circumstances.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for our 20-hour stopover in Doha on our way to Jakarta. The hotel was assigned by Qatar Airways as part of their STPC deal. This means we paid 125 USD per person for the accommodation, visa and transfer. We could have predicted that this was not a great hotel from the beginning, as we were waiting at the airport arrivals lobby for longer than anyone else. The person responsible for giving us instructions at the airport kept saying the driver was on his way. What's another hour for someone who's been traveling for 14 hours with a 10 month-old baby? So we arrived at this dump and they assign us a room on the 12th floor. Stinking of cigarettes from the elevator lobby and shaking with loud music, we enter a large old room that was vibrating with noise. So we ask to change rooms. We later find out there is a nightclub on the 15th floor!!! But it's not so bad, the bell boy says, it stops at 2 am!!! Next room they showed us on the 7th floor stank really bad probably from a cleaning product that was used to remove the odor of cigarettes. So we patiently ask again to change rooms. On the 5th floor where we could still hear the music from the nightclub, we settle with this considerably smaller room with it's floor still wet (they said it was from the floor cleaning). Night lamps didn't work, there was only one towel at the dirty old bathroom, and trying to find a plug we even ran into some dirt from the shabby cleaning. I could say more and tell you about the crappy food also, but I think that's enough. Bottomline: if you get assigned this hotel by Qatar Airways, run as fast as you can!

I had a 20 hr stopover with Qatar Airways at Doha. It was a nice surprise that I was told by Qatar that I was eligible for a free night at the Best Western with a very reasonable meal allowance. The room was clean and there was a good supply of toiletries. The room was also very spacious, although my room lacked a good view out of the window. The air conditioning was very powerful, and the toilet was clean. I used up my meal allowance provided by Qatar and I had a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The food was of good quality and was tasty, although I wouldn't call it 'special'. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is 10 mins away from the Museum of Islamic Art, which I spent several hours in. Overall - EXCELLENT.

The Best Western Plus Doha is simply not a good hotel. It is not clean, smells faintly of cigarette smoke even in the non-smoking rooms, has an unresponsive staff, the restaurant is terrible, and to cap things off there is a night club on the top floor that doesn't stop blasting Arabic pop music until 2 AM (good luck sleeping through it if you are above floor 10). Had I known how many problems I would have had, I would have gladly paid for a different hotel entirely even though I stayed here on a free voucher when my Qatar flight was delayed. From what I can tell it is only reasonably convenient (20 minutes or so) from the airport. It is close to the Council of Ministers and Islamic Art Museum, but rather far from the downtown skyline area.

I had a huge room. It was clean, fresh and nice. The breakfast was OK, middle east style. The hotel staff do not smile much but they are efficient and Ready to help. I've checked out in the morning, and AT the end Of the day returned to collect my bag and they made available a room so I could changed and be Ready to my Intercontinental trip. I stayed at the best western two weeks ago and was marveled by the lobby entrance and the friendly staff, the rooms were spacious too. The gym was a bit of a drab, but you can manage if you are on a holiday. I was not impressed that I was woken up at around 4:45/5am by management for some issues that could have been sorted out at check out. This killed the vibe and confirmed that it definitely that they are not ready for a four or five star hotel. Respect your guests sleeping hours.

Hotel has a fancy lobby with friendly front desk staff and large rooms but those are the only things going for it. Lots of people were smoking in the lobby, most of the bell hops seemed disinclined to do much of anything, and a drunk man interrupted our check in process to demand rooms for himself and his escort, an event that the desk clerk apologetically admitted was fairly common. I felt very unsafe. There is a disco or something on the top floor but I wasn't going anywhere near it. The room was not clean - there was even open toiletries left by a previous guest - and it was quite run down. We didn't even want to shower there - which was good because there was only one towel. We were kept awake by neon lights flashing outside our room and then awakened at about 4am by a call to prayer at the mosque just outside. Then I had to battle with the kitchen staff to get the breakfast that was included with our room. We had a 9am flight and so needed to leave just before 7am which they told me was "too early" for breakfast (what kind of airport hotel doesn't offer an early breakfast for travelers??) but the front desk managed to convince them to bring us a packed breakfast to our room before we left. It came, without cutlery, but was almost inedible: cold and greasy sausage and potato and a rubbery omelette with no fresh fruit or yogurt or pastry. We got a much better meal on the plane. We paid 50QR for a taxi from the airport because we thought that the shuttle cost more, but it seems that the shuttle is now free. We took the shuttle to the airport in the morning and it was positively packed to the gills with people. Not that there used to be another hotel with the same name - or this one recently changed their name or something - so make sure you have the address with you if you take a taxi. I would NOT recommend this hotel and am shocked that they get to have the "Best Western PLUS" name.

I stayed here during a long (10 hour) layover on Qatar Airways. The room was a place to sleep, but nothing as nice as the professional pictures would lead you to believe. Plenty of space in the room, yet somehow did not feel very warm or personable. Did not try the wi-fi or TV.

I am staying here now. The breakfast is good, the room is clean and roomy (i have a suite). Mine has 2 beds and a sofas bed as well with 2 TV's. My family and I like this hotel. The only complain i have is the room does feel a little cold. I set the thermostat in my room to 18.5 degrees, but woke up with the temp in my room down to 17, so i shut off the air conditioner and since we are in Qatar, with the AC off for 30 minutes the temperature went up to 20 degrees. Service is good too, because my mini fridge was not working and they swapped it for me in less than 30 minutes. Overall, i think this hotel is nice. I was staying at the Amari Hotel in Doha and i really didn't like it because it was too humid. Like i said overall, i recommend it and would stay here again.

This hotel is terrible! Too noisy during the night. People are smoking in the corridor near my room (that was a non smoking room). The room is ok, big and with all the amenities that we need. The staff was also ok. But for sure you have better options in Doha.

Had a one night stopover here when flying into Doha, this hotel was a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport, the room was very spacious and clean and tidy. Only downside was its very isolated and not much else is nearby, there is a mosque close by. Ate in the buffet restaurant which was pretty good too.

The hotel is substandard, the rooms make you not feel welcome and appear very cold. If you are on a higher floor you'll have the sound from the night club all night long, plus the mosque next door will you wake up at 4am in the morning. The breakfast is also below average. Positive to say is that the corniche and Souq Waqif are pretty close by.

Walking distance which is always to prefer. We stayed for a few nights while visiting our daughter who is working in Qatar. Hotel can improve, but it is good for location and for price.

One of the best hotels in doha. Its just 15 mins ride by cab from airport. Best service at the concierge and in your room. Staff helpful, informative on local site seeing places and does suggest you various options based upon ur budget and time. The hotel provides local tours service or cab to see around doha. Rooms are excellent with all top class facilities. Food was great. morning break or brunch buffet is available. All different types of palates can be satisfied.

I was there because of a flight delay, the hotel is near to the city souk and corniche, nice position. Personnel is kind and helpful, but rooms and structure are not very clean and the dinner provided was a poor buffet. I think that such a structure could be used in a better way.

I was provided with this hotel by Qatar Airways as my fly delay and I didn't catch my fly to Miami. There is nothing bad I can say about this hotel. Room was big and clean, nice food in restaurant and very helpful and pleasant staff. I had problems with my email and reception team assisted me to fix my issues. I really appreciate their help and I would definitely recommend this hotel to one who would thervel to Doha.

Usually I don't write negative reviews but being kept awake past 12 midnight by banging club music three floors above my room (11th floor) has a strange way of helping the mind focus. I believe that in life there is good and bad so I take this experience as one of those bad experiences that fate has dealt me. Not by choice, the Mrs and I found ourselves in the 'Best' Western Plus Hotel, Doha due to Qatar Airways flight delays which led to a forced layover in the city. They were 'gracious' enough to provide us stranded passengers with food and accommodation at this hotel. Clearly two wrongs don't make a right. The Best Western brand has a global reputation for basic, shoddy and tired hotels. The whole brand itself is tired. I wasn't expecting much from the hotel so I guess I'm not too disappointed. If only the windows and walls would stop vibrating from the loud music! The hotel lobby looks decently furnished and creates a facade of luxury. However, the rooms are anything but. The bed is squeaky and springy. The sofa is worn and has visible tears and coffee (or god knows what) stains. The wooden furniture is scratched and the windows are foggy with dust, preventing any decent views. Oh....the windows are still thumping in rhythm with the bass from the music from the club above. The only redeeming aspect of our (one night) stay was the restaurant. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The Lebanese chef was kind enough to personally cater to our gluten / diary free dietary request and came out to say hello. Great guy. All in all, I'm hoping that you've read this review BEFORE you booked your stay at this hotel. If not, then you're probably also awake at almost 1am in the morning hoping that the walls won't cave in because of the LOUD music. I'm almost tempted to get out of bed, get dressed and go join the party. The Mrs would probably disapprove though. Oh and forget waking up to take a refreshing swim to clear your head and calm your frayed nerves from the club noise of the night before. The pool only opens at 9am and closes at 6pm. If you're a business visitor, you might as well forget using the pool...except you skip lunch at work and rush back to the hotel to use the pool...which is closed to men from 1pm to 3pm.

We were upgraded to a Junior Suite and i should say i was a nice cozy room. however the first impression doesn't please me was due to the fact that, at the reception you are not attended by a greet, a smile or a simple a hello. The look in the face of the guy at the reception was like what are you doing here? Seriously.... I dont know where thats his attitude towards guests being asian or his is tired in working. However, other than that everything went well. Rooms wishe: The Suite which we received was towards another building. the curtains are a bit transparent so it concerns the Privacy of any individual in the rooms. Other than that everything was great!

I booked a room on Hotwire and had the unpleasant surprise of it being the Coral Hotel Doha (Best Western Plus) I paid just under £90 it was supposed to be 4 star it was far from that! Reception staff were uninterested the hotel outside was quite dirty and not very well paved, when I checked in I asked for a non smoking room. On entering my room I was hit with a blast of disgusting cigarette smoke I think the people who had the room before had left minutes before still puffing cigarettes! the toilet was dirty and there were little flies round the drain hole. Loud music played until about 1am (thank god for ear plugs) and in the room above me something was running up and down well into the small hours. The only blessing was it was quite the next morning. I went to use the gym which the hotel directory said was on the 14th floor only to find that the whole floor was being refurbished. I went back to reception to enquire where the gym had gone and was directed to the correct floor. The gym had no towels or cups and was not in the best condition the windows and outside area were filthy. Checkout was very uneventful in fact when I asked to change money they said I could only change new notes no older than 5 years (I didn't even know there was a date on them so after looking through my cash a note was found that was satisfactory!) would I stay there again NO not even if it was £20

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. -Reception didn't have hotels.com reservation, and was told to wait and call hotels.com. After an hour managed to check in. -No towels in room when I came in. -Razor thin walls - could hear everything clearly from neighboring rooms -Kept AC off throughout stay but temperature didn't go above 20 C (in March!!) - turning heat didn't help -Bed creaked so much, you couldn't even switch sides without waking up your spouse. -Had to go to front desk twice to get approval to have free breakfast that was on my hotels.com booking -Supplies weren't topped off after first night Unorganized chaotic parking outside -Construction noises -And to top it all off, the staff has the worst attitude!!!!! It shouldn't be a best western "plus." Have stayed at 2-stars better than this.

I have stayed at this property on several occasions and have always experienced strange noise in the bedrooms. This weekend I think I found the reason. Yes, there is a nightclub on the 14th floor but that is not the main problem. I noticed that I was getting sounds of children, parents and hairdryers. Not only sounds, but I even had the smell of hairspray. I decided to investigate the actual construction of the building. It has the basic concrete structure with honeycomb shape of rooms facing outwards. Then place a steel window frame structure over the entire face (without sealing the individual room walls/floors/ceilings to it) and hey presto you get a selection of pods with an outside shell which offers no sound protection. Anyone with weird tendencies and access to flexible cameras could easily view adjoining rooms by slipping the scope around the wall, had they the inclination By the way, the food quality has dropped considerably.

Very poor experience. Room booked for a family of 3 but sofa bed not made. I asked for this to be done 3 times but it didn't happen. When I eventually opened up the sofa bed myself it was in a disgusting state. Eventually our room was moved but into a room where the beds were barely big enough. I was told my deposit of 200 Riyals would be returned to my credit card straight away but this has not happened over a week later. My emails have not been replied to. Very disappointed in what should be a good hotel.

Recently stayed 3 nights in Doha as a tourist. The hotel was clean with a large room and the hotel was in a pretty good location walking distance to the museum, waterfront and old Souk area. now with Uber in town its really convenient to get nearly anywhere without a car for really cheap. The only downside we noticed was they have no heat in the rooms even though it got a bit cool at night! Free breakfast is also a plus for very reasonable rates.

So on arrival to the hotel the staff were very pleasant. Great transfer and pick up from the airport and the receptions is very modern, full of fresh flowers and pleasant to see after a long flight. My room was very spacious, great size living area and bed. The cleaning was average, different days would leave something new to find - either cleaning products left behind in my room, my stuff moved for cleaning and not put back or just certain toiletry items not replaced. Not major things in the grand scheme of things. The restaurant was great and the food was pleasant and different each day. The staff were very helpful and nice to deal with. The negatives to this hotel is I found it very noisy. The room I had you could hear everything from outside, to the lift and just general noise. I also had a couple occasions where I got woken by staff bringing stuff to my room that I hadn't requested also another occasion where another guest called my room - I believe this was due to a member of staff providing him with my number. As a single traveller on this occasion, it didn't provide me with confidence or make me feel safe - especially when the reception staff were not interested or wanted to look into this for me. For me this hotel is a mixed bag but overall a good hotel. Just could do with a few improvements and it would be great!

Previous known as Coral hotel, Doha. Now it is renovated and very nicely maintained by best western plus hotel. They have big rooms living and bed room together. Big clean wash rooms. Provide amenities in bathroom. Every room has 2 TV, provide water boiler along with team coffee, mini fridge and bar, room safety locker, iron with iron stand. Complimentary buffet breakfast, swimming pool, jacuzzi on rooftop, steam, sauna and spa on payment available. There is one club on 13th floor named as cello bar.

Upon arrival there were no rooms ready so I was placed on the 14th floor. There was some renovation work going on so there was a lot of banging which prompted me to visit the pool for a swim and sun bathe... The pool is more for...'relaxing' rather than swimming as it has different sections to it so you couldn't do a lap. The outside area is unsteady as some of the tiles are loose and there were no tables or loungers out there, (although one of the stand members was happy to put a chair out there for me.). Overall the place seems a little forgotten and unused. I didn't visit the gym but I did go to the spa. It looked very relaxing and had a nice ambiance but was highly over-priced: 450 Qatari Reals for an hour's massage, which, at the time of conversion was £85! My room was fine, it had a separate sitting area and the bathroom was well stocked with complimentary toiletries. The biggest issue was that floor 14 is below the nightclub, it was a Friday (The Qatari Saturday night) and the music from it was very loud and went on into the early hours so I didn't have a very good sleep. The next day, feeling pretty unimpressed with the hotel, I asked for my room to be changed to be more quiet one. The staff were extremely obliging; by the time I'd finished breakfast, I had a new room with amazing views. The staff member on reception personally showed me the room and arranged for a porter to move my bags for me. I was very grateful and had a great sleep! The breakfast is really nice, varied each day there is absolutely everything: salads, hot local food, sweets, pastries, cooked breakfast, fruits, breads, an egg cooking station, a coffee machine for mocha / cappuccino etc and cold drinks. The location is in the old town. There is a lot of building work going on nearby so, at first, it didn't seem like a great location. However, it is walking distance from Souq Waqif (A must visit - in the evening in particular - it is beautiful and you can walk here along the river side with amazing views of the sky rise buildings in the centre of Doha. Lot of cafes, restaurants, local food and markets). It is easy to flag taxis down from the hotel - the staff will call one for you. Overall: Positives Breakfast Staff: very helpful providing me with a map, booking taxis, offering advice about where to go, providing an adaptor for me etc. Quality of rooms Overall feel of the hotel Location - to Souq Waqif Negatives: Can be noisy nearer the nightclub The pool The cost of spa The renovations (though of course these need to happen) Stairs (As with a lot of places in Doha, it is difficult to navigate the emergency exits as they don't seem to lead out to ground floor so, apart from the risk in emergency, you will be stuck waiting on the lifts!)

A good place to stay some days in Doha. The place is very well located, some minutes from the Cornishe, and 5 to 10 minutes from the soque by foot. The breakfast is good with a good choice as buffet. The rooms are ok for an hotel in its category, with good room space.

Staffs are excellent, waited for me to pick me up from the airport although the line was long at the immigration. The command of the English language is limited at the front desk, but fluent. They gave me a suite, but it was a disappointment. A ver large room with a separate sitting area. Furniture needs replacement, but the queen bed was comfortable. The complementary buffet breakfast is very good, the bathroom had no towels, but they brought me a few towels when asked, but they were not very good quality towels. My overall stay for 2 nights was quite pleasant, but next time I would prefer to stay at a better hotel.

The hotel itself was nice. However, organisation, preparation and general professionalism in the hotel by its staff was a horrible experience. Nothing was prepared for late night arrival of 3 guests. We had to wait over 1 hour to make things right without any apologies from the member of the hotel. Also it's worth to mention that the "swimming pool" is not as someone would expect as there is certain hours when you can use it based on whether you are a male, female or a child.

Staff are unfriendly and clueless at times. Reception area is total chaos. Porters don't seem capable of doing their job and are normally just standing around in the reception area. I was booked into this hotel by my company for a business trip. I stayed on the 8th floor and my room was close to the lifts which was annoying as i could constantly hear the lift bell day and night. My room was ok, pretty tired looking and shabby. Wall paper starting to come off the walls. Probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed in Doha. Room service food extremely average and poor choice of food on menu. Room was fairly clean, bed was comfortable. The rooms are really needing to be modernised. Its ok for a short business trip. I would advise tourists to stay in the west bay area as there is no good eating venues close by. WIFI is free, but not very good.

It was very unfortunate that I did not plan to visit Doha nor stay in this hotel. My flight was misconnected and I had to stay for one night - with complements from Qatar Airways. The hotel room assigned was large with a separate living room. But it looked very dated and badly needed a good refurbishment. We informed the airline to retrieve our luggage from the airport and had it delivered to the hotel. We had specifically informed the hotel to expect our luggage delivery. The hotel received a call from the airlines while we were out to explore the Souq Waqif but when we returned to check on the status, we were not given a proper update. Everything seemed so messed up. The staff at the front desk were not friendly or helpful. We were given the 'it's not our fault, go to the airline' kind of attitude. Thankfully the luggage arrived after almost 6 hours of waiting and I only had to stay in this hotel for less than 8 hours. Despite this unhappy incident, I must give some credits to the hotel restaurant. We were given some meal allowance from the airlines and ordered a la carte from the menu. The portion for the main dish was too big - more than enough to share with 2 adults. The service and food was good. What an experience!

It is within walking distance of the Museum of Islamic Art and Souq Waqif. Our room was perfect; we had a lovely living room area and it was very clean. They do have an Arabic nightclub on the top floor; my friend and I checked it out..it was a fun experience. Staff was helpful and breakfast was very good. I would recommend staying here and I would probably stay here again.

It's a typical business hotel, all the basic facilities are available but still bathrooms (especially bathing area) is very congested with only single top shower. You can hear people talking in adjoining rooms, reason being a wooden panels near curtains and little empty space between them or may be walls are thin, either ways you can clearly hear what people are speaking in adjoining rooms if they talk in a normal volume. Foodis just fine. Staff is good. Overall for other stuff it's good but expensive according to the facilities.

I stayed in the Best western Plus for Business, the hotel is still under refurbishment. The breakfast room is ready, nice servings in large variety, lots to choose from. The rooms are huge 40m2 plus but old, they are doing it room by room and mine wasn't to the new standards. The swimming pool was out of order so was the gym, and yes under refurbishment. The rooms come with free wifi, but it is so slow you rather find another solution. So for the near future a great place but take your own data device.

My worst stay in a hotel ever.. It's cheap with spacious rooms and friendly staff but not professional. Everything else is very bad: - Cleaness - Noisy - Dark rooms, lighting is very bad in most of the rooms - Food has bad quality (room service) - Restaurant, only one restaurant that offers only buffet for all meals, not a la carte - They don't answer the phone at night (not midnight neither the housekeeping nor the reception I don't give it more than 2 stars, sometimes even 2 stars hotels are better

We were visiting the Qatar Boat show and this hotel was their partner, unfortunately for all guests. The hotel had no idea about the event. The staff was very unhelpful during every stage of staying there. The reception at check-in, the logistics, the staff, the room service, the overall hotel is an absolute joke. We had such trouble getting our complimentary rates as guests of the show. We had to put up an argument that lasted for 5 hours on covering the accommodation because of the poor communication of this hotel. Elif, the hotel manager is especially the one to blame and clearly lacks basic hospitality qualification and intelligence. Basically, she did not think it was her responsibility to check the names of guests who are checking in against the list of names given to her by the boat show organizers as their guests. She ended up booking different rooms for the guests and left the prebooked rooms empty. Then charged the guests for BOTH! It was an absolute joke. This person should be nowhere near a hotel. We paid the price of her stupidity and thankfully left to stay at the Warwick, an affordable choice at a busy time and excellent in accommodating their guests.

I did not select this hotel, it was provided as a complimentary transit accomodation by Qatar Airlines. I am a Qatar Airlines frequent flier and normally Qatar Airlines transit hotels are good, punctual with pickups and include even early morning breakfast ...... none of this at Best Western Doha. In future if this is the only option I would fly different airline through Emirates. There was no-one with a signboard (as normal) to meet our flight, we had to go to airport information who called the hotel. We (several folk travelling separately) then had to wait a good while while they looked for late stargglers who did not show. There was no breakfast provided. The room was nice and spacious but sleep impossible as seems there was a disco or similar roudy event right outside. The morning wakeup call to get to airport was late (thank goodness I had already been wakened by my telephone alarm), checkout disorganised and we had to wait in the bus to the airport while they again looked for stragglers. Some passengers waiting in the bus were becomming nervous about delays to get to airport for flights when at this point in the bus they started a shambolic administration of checking who was in which room. Very poorly organised and delaying. An inefficient and poor reflection on Qatar Airways and Doha airport. Will think about an alternative airline (of which I am frequent flier) and UAE transit as an alternative.

Unfortunately, the photos featured on the website are not a true representation of what we found at this hotel. The room was smelly, extremely tired looking and basic essentials were not provided. We did however get quickly moved to a different room when we stated that we were not happy. The second room was better, however the strange wall taps in the bathroom (which had to be turned in order for the shower to work) leaked and flooded the room within a short space of time. This was fixed, but they did not feel the need to clear up the bits of plaster or broken tiles after they had finished sorting the problem.

Even it's for a night, I'm glad that I have stayed at this BWP hotel. I had an unpleasant experience at Kuwait Airport due to a flight delay and when I reached at this hotel at night instead of at noon, I was greeted well at the reception and the room..wow! It made my day! Breakfast was plenty and great, and what I love most was the Halawa..superb! The supervisor from Nepal allowed me to bring some Halawa back to my room and made me feel like a 'Queen' ...Tqvm.

Question: what major brand hotel would accept new bookings while 24 hour major renovations are being undertake? Answer: Best Western, Doha. Jack hammering and power tool drilling throughout the night. Lame management that cannot supervise or otherwise control a contractor. Staff instructed to advise guest that the noise is coming from the building next door. That didn't explain the vibrations.....departed a five week stay after one week

I spend 2 days in this property. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room spacious and modern decor. Huge lobby and beautiful restaurant with great buffet served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great Value for money!!!!

I travel to Doha every month and I wanted to stay at this hotel since I had heard good comments about the comfortable rooms and service. The service provided by the staff in general is very good and junior staff such as the waiters's room service and concierge is extremely good and they are very polite and courteous. unfortunately, the managers in this hotel is way over their heads with their attitude's. Basically, they will attend to you or even smile/talk to you depending on your face, outer appearance or the nationality. I would like to mention in particular the manager at the reception who's name is Mr. Basouny. i was told he is the operations manager. I had asked for assistance to scan a document and he simply ignored me and requested the reception lady to tell me that it cannot be done. mind you, the lady was on the verge of helping me, It was very obvious that this gentleman didn't know anything of customer service and i'm surprised he is even working as manager. The restaurant manager is even more worst. he simply stands near the kitchen entrance and keeps staring at you from top to bottom. Not even a greeting or a smile. These so called "managers" however jump on their feet and greet all the GCC clients with no reason and conveniently ignore all other guests. its so obvious and makes you feel sick. nevertheless, my compliments on the junior staff again as they are extremely nice and always very courteous. its sad that its not complete with the unprofessional managers they work with.
