Best Western Plus College Park Hotel

Great location! Convenient to the college park or greenbelt metro stations with a short drive or bus ride with nearby stop. Very clean, smells clean! Quiet as well, we didn't hear the road outside or any other guests. The breakfast was handy and delicious. My only wish is that the breakfast stayed open a little longer for those that prefer a later start to their first meal of the day.

Staff is so friendly and thoughtful. Breakfast is good and hotel is clean. We have stayed here several times with family for our son's baseball games and it's close to campus. Only issue is that there isn't a lot of parking and often we have to pay to park Nextdoor at the Cambria.

When my family and I arrived at the hotel the front desk clerk ( her name is Angel) made us feel super welcome, she was quite friendly, she definitely knows how to do her job, and when we got to our room we found a spacious and clean room,

Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. They've been dealing with road construction for a long time, but it's supposed to be completed soon. Until then, I'd request a room not facing the street. The workers start at 6 am.

Very nice clean room. Full breakfast was very good as well. Several restaurants nearby as well as the College Park Metrorail Station if you want to visit the Washington DC Monuments. Other than the manager & Lippold m,The front desk could be a bit more friendly and receptive. The night person and early morning receptionist were not as friendly. Not disrespectful, just not friendly . Definitely will use them again if we're in the area.

the rooms were really big and comfortable with clean sheets, and the toilet was very clean. the free breakfast was a good bonus too! not very fancy but has the essentials (including extras like a pancake machine!). the stay was very value-for-money - such great quality at a very economical price per night :)

Clean comfortable room. Clean hotel. Courteous staff. Even did a load of laundry and did not charge me. Had an average breakfast but it was good. Location is close to some food. This is a college area but pretty quiet. I would stay there again.

Great value. Personnel courteous. Spacious rooms, breakfast solid enough. Would request room toward back for quieter stay; front of hotel along heavily trafficed road. Not as fancy maybe as some other hotels in the area but about 2 blocks from UMD campus entrance and great for college area stays.

Room spacious and clean. Front desk staff nice and welcoming. Free breakfast was nice. Free parking also a plus. Price was good, used AAA discount. Easy access to MARTA, used it to go to FedEx Field. Also, quick and easy drive to MGM Casino.

I've stayed at this Best Western 2- 3 times before and always a great experience. Employees are very professional and friendly Rooms are up-to-date, clean, everything in working order, easy to work the thermostat. Breakfast area, clean and breakfast, itself, very good. Breakfast host very efficient and friendly.

This is the 3rd year we've spent Thanksgiving week at the facility. This time was not a joy. The entire room was carpeted, and there were no luggage racks. The fan in the bathroom ran 24/7, which made for a very cold bathroom. Breakfast was very ordinary. Have enjoyed this facility in the past, will be looking around next year.

Great location, walking distance to the stadium and breakfast was a bonus. Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of towels. We came for a football game and it was exactly what we needed. Parking lot is tiny so plan on using the parking lot next door and paying 20.00

I wanted to book a room in the D.C. area with points, so I chose this hotel because I had enough for two nights. I also saw reviews stating the breakfast was good, so based on my typical Best Western stays, I was prepared to be impressed in the morning. I'm Diamond Select, so this hotel gives you a full-sized bag of potato chips and a drink selection from a fridge. The lobby was nice and clean, and the staff was friendly. The room was nice and spacious, and the rooms were serviced daily. Many hotels are doing the trend of you having to request service, so this was nice. You get individual toiletries at this Best Western- no shampoo/body wash/conditioner dispenser in the shower. A filtered water dispenser for reusable water bottles by the elevator is also excellent for guests and the environment. I left my phone charger on the plane, so I went to the front desk to ask if they had one I could purchase- and they didn't have any. This is unusual because the Plus Best Westerns usually have a little shop with things travelers need, like batteries, phone chargers, antacids, etc. This one had none of that, nor a store to buy snacks. However, there is a gas station next door to the hotel that sold chargers, and there is a CVS further down the road I was directed to (but it was closed at 8:30 a.m.). I didn't have a car, but I used rideshare to get to my event in D.C. and travel to the hotel from the Reagan National Airport to the BWI Airport. With a 25% + tip, my Lux Lyft ride was $76 for a 46-minute ride(traffic) from Reagan, a standard Lyft was $60, and 28 minutes to BWI (5 am, so no traffic). Getting to and from the White House was 41 minutes and $36, and an hour back and $56 (traffic). The bus and train would be cheaper options, but this was better for me. Also, I used Doordash to get food- lots of good restaurant options in the area!!! However, the reviews about the breakfast were exaggerated- it was boring and basic, but the coffee was good!

I really enjoyed stay at this location. Nice area and easy access to DC. The staff was extremely friendly. Cordial guess and the breakfast was delicious. The gym was fully equipped with exercise equipment and towels.

Nice clean hotel. Parking isn't great, so if you're coming back later be prepared to park down the street and walk. Now I'm just typing because I have to leave 200 characters. So here I go, just a few more.

Quick Staycation. Arrived after midnight thanks to the Wu-tang, Nas & De La Soul show. Checkin was quick and easy, so quick I forgot to mention my giftcards until after I scanned my card. BUT I was still able to use them before checkout thanks to ending them to the staff. Breakfast was decent w home fries, pancakes, sausage patties, oatmeal packs, mini cinnamon rolls & muffins. Only issue is when people are in the room over you, elephants are sometimes on parade unfortunately. Overall a good 2 mid-week nights.

Clean and efficiently run! Quick and friendly welcome at check in. Rooms and shared areas all clean, fresh. Nothing in disrepair here. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms well stocked with necessary amenities. Bed was comfy with plenty of pillows! Thanks for that, I love some extra pillows! Breakfast the same! Hot eggs, sausage plus all the usuals. :) Solid business stay!

Road improvement construction by hotel, but no noise at night; next to y of Maryland; walk to several fast food and other economical restaurants...room is perfectly normal for the price...breakfast good, too...

Very friendly staff and nice room. With all of the college comings and goings and construction its rather loud. There is a nice security and law enforcement presence in the area, that made me feel safe.

Very spacious rooms. A safe in the room, a comfortable bed, pleasant pillows, a strong air conditioner in the room, an iron and an ironing board in the room, ample parking, the receptionists are nice and the breakfast is nutritious and delicious

We went to the hotel in the summer when school wasn't in session, so it was less busy than normal. I found it to be very enjoyable and reasonably priced. It is a close drive to several areas in DC, and the breakfast was stellar.

Very roomy room, great bed! Friendly staff, standard but good breakfast. Easy to find off I 495, plenty of parking out back. We will stay there again, I'm sure. We left some clothing behind (our fault); they agreed to mail it back to us (our expense, but at least we got it back!).

The hotel is clean, the staff in the dining room is very efficient and attentive, the stairs in the fire exit is clean and carpeted. However, there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom and the door lock was not working. I had a hard time with the microwave as the signs were printed in different language. We felt that the bed mattress was uncomfortable. I think it was the old style spring type. We woke up multiple times and had body aches in the morning.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus for work in late June. I chose the hotel for its location as I was working nearby and as the reviews were positive. I am so pleased that I chose it and would highly recommend it. First of all the room was spotlessly clean, a great size and excellently serviced with towels / toiletries. There was a fridge, microwave and good quality television. The bed was very comfortable. For the price it was extremely good value for money. Secondly, breakfast was included and with good quality, fresh cooked, and with frequently replenished supplies. Thirdly, the staff were very welcoming and the hotel seems to be well run and managed. The hotel is quiet evening. In conclusion, an excellent stay and I would highly recommend this great value hotel.

It was a quiet 2 night stay. It is relatively close to the Metro Station, but there was no bus connection anywhere close to the hotel, so Rideshare or cab was the only option from the station. Conveniently close to a few restaurants and a CVS store.

Pretty basic hotel but the room was bigger than expected. Comfortable beds. Clean room. Hotel was full of swimmers in town for a weekend swim meet. Although breakfast usually doesn't start til 7am, they started serving earlier so the swimmers could grab a bite before heading to the meets.

Clean, pleasant, comfortable stay foryself and my younger adult daughter as we visited my daughter in the nearby apartments. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating and our stay was happily neventful. Highly recommend this hotel and the silver diner for meals as well as the local Board and Brew. One nighter for daughter's college. We've continually chose BW because of the wonderful experience, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, no hassle service and location. More days of stays ahead. Love it.

Unfortunately nothing exciting about our stay. Hotel was clean and well maintained but bed was not the most comfortable. Breakfast was good and seemed to have enough choices for the whole family. Also not welcomed as a Best Western member.

This is a well-appointed hotel: modern, clean rooms; lovely small lobby. Bedding and furniture was better than average and quite comfortable. The walls are paper thin though, and on a college campus, there are late nights and loud voices. Route One can also be pretty noisy, so a higher room not facing the main road is preferable.

I have been fortunate to always get the same room, it has a tub. :) The hotel is always clean and smells refreshing. Breakfast is great and has an ample supply of choice foods. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Late check in is easy and no worry of losing your room when you call to inform them you will be arriving late. I recommend this place to all im the College Park area.

The hotel is fine. The breakfast included some potato/peppers which was nice. It's an urban setting. It was surprisingly quiet even though it's on a major road. However, I DID NOT APPRECIATE the $50 surcharge which takes 3-5 business days to come off the credit card. Years ago I remember hotels/motels doing this with debit cards. But to do it with debit and credit cards? No other BW I've stayed at in recent years does this. Really annoying practice.

I came back to College Park for Homecoming weekend. This hotel was close enough to Campus to walk. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and professional. The price was fair. I enjoyed the free breakfast (and coffee) as well! What else could you ask for?

It was very pleasant stay and convenient to shopping and dining. I will return again. My granddaughter and zip had a peaceful sleep.The mattresses were very comfortable. The room was spacious and great work space.

We stayed at more pricey hotels and came back to the best western for the value location and cleanliness. The breakfast that was included was phenomenal o. red to go to Denny's that is right across the street

This hotel makes a very well-kept impression even from the outside. The reception was very friendly. The rooms are very spacious. Everything is very clean and cleaned daily. In the morning a delicious American breakfast is served. All staff are very friendly and helpful. I can absolutely recommend this hotel. Thank you for the nice stay.

Excellent hot breakfast with waffles and bagels and pancakes and pastries and eggs, hash browns, turkey sausage, oatmeal, apple juice and orange juice, cereal, and fruit. The one real challenge is that the breakfast space is very limited and gets quite crowded during peak hours. The lobby area is also very small and really not designed to accommodate overflow from the breakfast area so the best plan is likely to grab a tray from your room and get your breakfast to go to take back to your room. The room I had featured a double bed with a nice couch and living room table and workstation. The bathroom is very well appointed but the one potential issue is a slip hazard. The tub is very slick and has no rubber traction or grip devices and the only rail is on the front wall where the shower head is located. There is no rail on the inside wall of the shower as you would typically expect. Shower carefully. The walls, ceilings, and floors are thin as I could hear a loud TV an the adjoining room at times and I could also hear people's footsteps above my second floor room. The location of the hotel is excellent as there is a Denny's restaurant and Taco Bell side by side across the street . There is a 7-Eleven convenience store just down the street and a couple of other restaurants in walking distance. Located on Baltimore Avenue not very far from the interstate highway and in a decent and what would appear to be very safe area. I happened to be at the property on what would appear to be an off-peak weekend which is a good thing because the other real con to this location is a very limited number of parking spots. After sightseeing in the city on a Saturday evening I got back to the hotel at about 11:30 and only found two available parking spots in the back parking lot. I did not ask if there is any overflow parking next to the hotel but I can only imagine if the hotel is booked that there could be a parking issue. All in all it was a nice property for the rate and I would definitely stay again.

4 star. Our 4th visit because we love it; stayed 4 days. Disappointed this time. A funky odor in lobby / elevator & mold on ceiling in bathroom. It was a college move in and we just made the best of it.

Modern rooms, very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms. Bedding and especially pillows are not very good quality but adequate. Had a bathroom issue on a Saturday evening. Staff responded immediately and all was taken care of to our satisfaction. Parking lot is wel lit secure and well maintained. Breakfast is adequate 24hr coffee appreciated. Will be staying here again.

Large attractive and immaculate room, clean, good hot breakfast, friendly staff. Walking distance to several restaurants-- Korean BBQ next door, College Park Grill next door, and a taco bell and Denny's across the street . Vegetarian diner a couple blocks away. Near College Park Metro station and UMd. There is no pool and the area is not particularly scenic but this place seems to cater mostly to business travelers and/or visitors to the university. One small issue is that the desk staff had some difficulty arranging airport transportation upon our departure. (Cab, Uber, etc.) It was surprising to us that they took quite a while to find someone to come out, even after we asked them the evening before if they could get us a cab and were assured it was no problem. It turned out OK but it was a little bit stressful , waiting. Overall we were happy with our stay.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting UMD. Very convenient location, right down the street from campus. Hotel staff was friendly. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Free parking. Free breakfast was really good- plenty of options. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

We stayed at this place the day after a big thunderstorm which brought down many trees and downed power lines. Unlike most businesses in the area, this place was up and running and met our expectations in every manner. The room was big and clean. We were given the choice of a room away from the road. Breakfast was good. They were able to help us with complimentary toiletries (especially those the airlines do not allow).

I stayed at this Best Western for three nights as part of a physics conference at the University of Maryland College Park. The staff was helpful and friendly, and breakfast was tasty with a good selection of items. I'd definitely recommend the hotel.

Can't recommend..Hotel manager is the worst. Charged my card for a reservation that I canceled. Here's the kicker. Somehow charged a card that I did not use for reservation. I'm still trying to figure out how he stole that info. Tried reaching him for several days. Finally 5 days later he calls, but the charge already went through by then. Front desk staff seems to be intimidated by him. Bullied. After stating my reason and pleading for a refund, he does nothing. Go the the Cambria next door. Much nicer hotel for the same price.

This hotel is newer and was very clean. The front desk staff was pleasant and very knowledgeable. Good size room with a large bathroom and plenty of counter space on both sides of the sink. The food and service at the provided breakfast was excellent. Will stay here again when in the area.

Weekend stay to help our son settle in at UMD for a summer internship. Clean, comfortable room, hot breakfast, friendly staff, full housekeeping services. free parking. Construction next to hotel but no noise, looked like an area for storage not actual build site. Very comfortable bed, higher end linens and towels. Highly recommend!

We had a large group with 6 rooms. This hotel was very nice and convenient for our visit to DC. The rooms are large and clean. The breakfast was good: cold cereal, fresh eggs, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, yogurt, bread, muffins, hot and cold drinks. The staff was very nice. Metro is about a mile away and many restaurants are within walking distance.

Excellent hotel in perfect location to visit University of Maryland at College Park as well as Washington DC and Baltimore, Maryland area. Very good breakfast. Free parking. Close to many types of restaurants/fast food facilities and grocery stores (Lidl).

our neighbors were noisy all night long. We called the front desk but the noise continued. We missed breakfast by 5 minutes and ate plain yogurt and my husband ate nothing! We were very disappointed in this stay.

This is a nice clean hotel with with wonderful staff! The room was very clean, the breakfast was good and it was nice to have both a fridge and microwave in our room! The staff were wonderful and were able to help advise us how to navigate the public transportation system around Washington DC. They were helpful in suggesting good places to eat as well as helping us know where we could find grocery stores and gas stations! They have great people!

Stayed two nights while doing college tour, happy for the choice, well worth the money. Clean room - I checked air filter particularly, many hotels fail at this test, not this one! Relatively large room, with plenty of spaces to store luggage. Plenty of outlets. Room is well insulated from noises outside. Bed is pretty firm, beddings and towers felt fresh. Warm breakfast is sufficient and has all the normal stuff. Overall, great value, I would recommend to anyone.

Clean, good value, comfortable, and convenient to the University of Maryland. The exterior is quite modest looking and there is construction nearby, but if you want all the basics including a full breakfast, this place won't disappoint.

We were visiting family in the area and needed a place for 4-5 nights. This hotel was clean, quiet, and pleasant. It was in a convenient location, and walking distance to the University of Maryland. Most importantly, one of our family members forgot his laptop computer cord in the room. The hotel found it and and labeled it and kept it for us. Also, thank you to Joju for her help in this matter.

My son and I enjoyed our stay. We were in town for an event at the University of Maryland and found this hotel perfect for us. It's in a great location with easy walking to the University, restaurants, and a CVS. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfy, and there were plenty of sockets and ports to charge our devices. I was worried it would be loud with a football game and the people there for that, but it wasn't. I took advantage of the breakfast and noticed the lady bustling about making sure it was clean and stocked. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I noticed parking filled up at night, but we got there early and didn't leave until we checked out, since we could walk everywhere. Thanks!

Very impressive building staff polite friendly and professional what a nice positive attitude to walk into. The rooms are spacious bed very comfortable clean fridge microwave and safe the bathroom is very comfortable good size and you have a couch in the room for comfort. Breakfast was great very enjoyable fresh products and the area is clean a nice spot. All in all a good experience and will happily go back again.

This is a really nice hotel. Our room had a king sized bed that was very comfortable, and everything was very clean. We had a couch, fridge and microwave in the room - all really nice upgrades from a room at an average hotel. The location was very good for taking the metro in DC. Just a quick and easy 1 1/2 mile drive. We also found an excellent BBQ place, 2fifty, just an 8 minute drive. The food was so good we went back again the next night. The hotel had a really great cold and hot breakfast, which we haven't seen at a lot of places since COVID. But the best part of our experience was the staff, especially Lisa at check in. She was so pleasant and helpful, really made us feel welcome. How you're treated makes a big difference. Something not every place understands.

The Best Wester Plus College Park Hotel was very nice. Our room was clean, quiet and the king size bed was comfortable. There was road construction in front of the hotel and we didn't hear it in our room. The self serve breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, fruit etc was pretty standard but satisfactory. I would stay at this hotel again.

Traveled for UMD parent weekend with a friend. We upgraded for a little more each of our two nights to an executive 2 queen bed room. The room was updated, spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was renovated and spacious. Good breakfast in the morning (basic but did the trick) and the location is perfect and convenient when traveling to the school. Will definitely be back!

The facility, room and employees were all excellent. This was a business trip and we were working in the area. I had no issues with check in and when I left the check out was done electronically and a receipt with all charges was emailed to my office. Top Notch Service

Everyone we encountered at this hotel was outstanding. When I checked in Lisa helped me, and she was great. Angel was in the afternoon and Fred at night!! The lady in the breakfast area was very friendly and nice. A GREAT experience. They answered our questions and helped us with where to eat and how to do a few things to make our trip better.

We have UMD student to move in. Stay on Best Western is very closed to UMD front door, near by has a lot restaurants and shops. Has comfortable room space. The only issue could be is the limited parking space. If you come back late, you might not have parking space. Also, the traffic is challenge if you want to go out and left turn. If you see google map, you will know what I am talking about.

I needed free parking, free internet, and space enough to teach a yoga class in one of the upgraded rooms. For that, it exceeded expectations. The hotel was easy to find (for me, not for delivery drivers). There is a lot nearby to walk or drive to for supplies or dinner. The staff was pretty friendly and things were pretty quiet. I could hook my laptop up to the TV with an HDMI cord (streaming bonus). The room itself had seen better days: the headboard peeled, the bedding/mattress was pretty basic, there was a cigarette burn on the carpet and desk, and the floor was pretty dirty. I couldn't change rooms because I checked in RIGHT before a meeting and created chaos in the process of prepping. I was disappointed but I think if I had time the friendly staff would have helped however they could.

I have used this B & W a number of times on my way back and forth from my home in NYC and my relatives in NC. It is about half way. It is a convenient location to stop and rest and also it is close to people in DC to visit. The hotel is always very clean and the employees very friendly. In non-Covid times the breakfast is also a plus!

This is a great property close to metro so it's easy to go anywhere in the DC area. It's only 2 blocks from university of Maryland. It's clean, friendly, and has free parking. However, it only has grab and go breakfast due to covid. We would stay here again if we are in the area again.

The lobby was clean and unencumbered. I could smell fresh paint as we were checking in, but the odor did not follow us upstairs. The hotel room was clean. No problems with anything not working. The grab-and-go complimentary breakfast was sufficient. I would definitely return to this hotel.

The hotel was nice except a slightly foul oder and the bed back being scratched a little. There was construction outside when we were there but we didn't mind. It was fun to watch them. The elevator is pretty slow so when on the second floor it will take a minute longer to get up.

I very rarely give 5 stars but this place rocks. Frank at the front desk was a great help with a fine sense of humor. The hotel was immaculate and spacious. Convenient to restaurants and for travel around DC.

This place is not fair from the DC area. The rooms where clean and updated. The staff here was very polite and professional. They had plenty of parking but not sure if this parking can support our company trucks.

Water was tepid. When I complained at checkout the owner identified himself and was rude and insisted there was no problem because no one else complained. The staff he sent to check was just as rude and stated that the water was warm enough for the summer. I note that it is not yet summer and the weather during my stay was in the fifties. I did not get a I am sorry. When my husband mentioned the situation he was also rude to him. I will go across town to another Best Western. Hopefully they will have better customer service. By the way the rates were the highest I have paid at any Best Western.

Check in was quick and staff friendly. Room was clean. We left early in the morning so did not experience the breakfast. Parking is limited and the room did not have blankets. We brought our own comforter so did not call house keeping. Overall a good stay. Close to campus and we walked to the Byrd Stadium and Xfinity Center. Also close to restaurants.

We stayed here for several nights from the UK when dropping our son at the university. It is very convenient for the University, the desk staff were pleasant and polite, good breakfast, clean, spacious room. No complaints at all. A nice, easygoing hotel, well placed for visiting University of Maryland.

Not far from downtown D.C. While the room was typical of a Best Western Plus, the rest of the motel was standard. Breakfast was a disappointment; the eggs in particular were terrible. Forget the free breakfast and go across the street.

Check in was a disaster as they did not have my reservations under the special block. Most hotels are clean so saying it's clean is giving it credit for nothing special. Parking is terrible and no one explains where to park if the lot is full (very small lot). I parked in the parking garage exactly next door thinking the hotel would validate parking since no one advised me where to park for overflow. They said no! It was very late at this time and she tried to explain where I need to move my car but by her own admission it is very hard to find via verbal directions. Just stay at the holiday Inn up the street!

I was in Washington DC for two days to meet up with some folks. We all know it is very expensive to have a hotel room in downtown Washington DC. So since I had some Best Western Rewards points and some gift cards, I spent the two nights at the Best Western in College Park. The hotel was not fancy, but I was OK with that. It had everything I needed. I could walk from there to the College Park Metro station, to go into the city. I would consider staying here again when I visit Washington DC.

Probably the best of the best western that I have stayed in. This one has a much higher standard offer over those previously that I had pleasure and displeasure to stay in. I plan in the spring to return here and spend a week touring the Capital. A good location to do as such.

Clean and very reasonable. Great location for the University of Maryland. Less than 5 minutes from I95. Quiet room made the stay relaxing. Breakfast was the typical hotel buffet, but the food was done nicely.

Not a bad place to stay when you are on a road trip and want to stay somewhere that is near to the university but still in a location that is able to get to DC. Basic accomodation that is to be expected for what you pay for.

Great location to University of Maryland and College Park. Very nice rooms and breakfast was nice addition. Check-in was a little late at 4pm but would stay there again. Next time I would stay on the top floor because I had a noisy guest directly above me that was inconsiderate at 6 am.

An average hotel in almost everything. Nothing special. The rooms, the space, and the comfort are average. Free parking available. Breakfast is below average with the limited selection. Personnel are helpful.

We stayed there because it was close to the University of Maryland football field. The room was clean, it smelled a little like smoke in the hallways. Our TV did not work and there was no one there to fix the TV. The bathroom fan was extremely noisy, if the door was not closed to the bathroom, I would not have been able to sleep.

AC is the problem. The AC in my room was alternating between hot air and cold air to keep the temperature, which is terrible because the AC blows air straight the bed that I was trying to sleep. I suddenly get breezing cold then in a few minutes I get sweating hot. I don't understand how they cannot make a system which blows air only "as needed". It made my stay terrible. There is no way for me return to this property.

I was very impressed by this hotel. It's in a nice area near the University of Maryland. Lots of food places around. The only reason why I gave this hotel less than 5 stars is because there was a stench in the bathroom. It smelled like really bad body odor. Otherwise I have no complaints about anything regarding this hotel. This hotel is a 2 star hotel so I wasn't expecting much but it's nice new and updated with a nice Television and kitchenette area!! I was pleasantly surprised!!

Very convenient to University of Maryland. Excellent range of options at full breakfast. Rooms are nicely decorated and equipped. Service levels surprisingly high, given cost of living in this area. Will gladly stay here again the next time I am in the area.

Whenever when we are in College Park to visit our daughter, the Best Western is our go to ! Clean, affordable, walkable to campus, friendly staff. Rooms are clean & spacious. Their wifi is fast and easy to log into. Breakfast is basic, but totally fresh and good, excellent coffee !

A plus is supposed to have a pool which this hotel does not have one. Not sure why it is considered a Plus. Also I did not like the fact that I was not given a review sent to my e-mail like is supossed to happen when you are a BW rewards member. Probably because we had problems and they thought I would give a bad review. I wouldn't have except that I think it now needs to be reviewed because of trying not to let me review. Just be aware of what card you are using to pay for the room I was charged full amount on the second day even though we were staying 5 days. I was going to use a different card but did not have the oppportunity to change it. Every other hotel upon check-out will ask if that is the card you want to use. Also was going to use a BW gift card. They did make the adjust once I checked out. On day three even though we did not want the room cleaned they were coming in whether the DO NOT DISTURB sign was on or not. I find that disturbing that had I not known before I left the property they were going to enter. It is a very nice room and several of the front desk staff were exceptional. Also other Plus hotels have self serve laundry facility and pools and larger business areas. Not sure how this is a Plus. Had to find a location close by to do the laundry. No laundry bags in the room which is supposed to be there.

Stayed here with family of 4 for an event at Capital One University Field. The rooms are spacious and clean. The front staff was friendly. The parking is free but the lot is small however the hotel will provide an off lot parking pass. The hotel is conveniently located to access the College Park with many things within walking distance. We could have walked to the stadium, about 10 minutes. I would stay again.

Great Hotel! Clean, nice and friendly staff. There is no pool...but not a deal-breaker. Good value and breakfast was free. This is a small hotel...about 63 rooms. Parking is free. Shopping and restaurants close by.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting DC. The hotel is very near a busy road with a fire department close by. All double queen rooms are on the road side of the hotel and the road noise is pretty bad. We moved to a King on the other side and it was very quiet. If you are bothered by noise, request a room on the other side. The parking lot is too small for the hotel - they said street parking is nearby but it didn't look too convenient. We rode the Metro into DC both days. The station is very close but the time to drive, park, and ride the metro makes for a long day. The nearby restaurants are not very high quality. While this was a very good hotel, If I was looking to go into DC, I'd look for another location to stay that is closer, has a shuttle to the metro, and has nicer restaurants nearby.

Great room for the price! Our place to stay when we come to visit our son and his family in Hyattsville! As my wife is handicapped, the room fits our needs. Very clean. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of items.

Very easy check in and check out. Hotel is well decorated and our room was outfitted with modern furniture and an ultra clean bathroom. Beds are firm and comfortable. Overall, the hotel is outstanding and a great value. The only drawbacks were that they didn't have a pool, which our grandson would have loved after touring D. C. all day, and the breakfast area was small (approx. 16 seats, maybe 18). The breakfast was your typical breakfast with pancakes, cereal, juice, eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The staff working the breakfast area, as well as the front desk were courteous and professional. The D.C. Metro is about a mile away and they have no shuttle. But the Metro is the best way to get into D.C. Hope this helps anyone thinking about staying here!

The hotel is easy to access and the one night my wife and I stayed we arrived late, even tho it was raining the checking was quick and being a diamond member I was even offered a free OJ and a bottle of water. I can recommend the hotel especially if around DC area. Only 25 mins away and the prices are reasonable if you book in advance. John

Quick check in and check out. This place was right outside the city with easy access to the College Park trains. I thought the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. I would def recommend for anyone going to DC

From the moment I arrived and was greeted by the delightful receptionist, Angel, I had a relaxing calm experience. The room was immaculate. Breakfast was fresh with multiple options. The location was excellent with many choices for dinner with in walking distance.

I was attending a meeting at "The Hotel" of UMD, which was over $200/night room rate. BW Plus was much less expensive, convenient (10 minute walk away), and perfectly adequate, especially the full breakfast included.

I have been at Best Western Plus College Park on a business trip for two nights. The location is OK although I must say a bit too near the road. The room was quite large. The main dawnside was that I could hear the traffic at night, including sirenes of emergency vehicles. Staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was OK. The fitness room quite small with only five counted machines, no weights. All in all I would say not worth the price.

Check in was a bad experience. After an international flight of 14 + hours we had to spend another 30-45 minutes at the reception because our credit card wasn't going through. Surely it's the faulty machine at the hotel. We had just then paid through the same card at the car rental and restaurants. We had to use our debit card at the hotel. Very disappointed.

Our stay was very enjoyable. It was convenient to everything we need. Its close DC. a mile from the Metro train station. Room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful when we had questions.

This is a perfect hotel for your DC trip. Quiet, safe, affordable, free parking! Plenty of food choices around or you can order in. Two metro stops within 6 minutes of the hotel- Greenbelt if $8.95 to park for the day- or College park is only $5.20 and its in a parking deck! 100% recommend!

The stay at BW Plus was a nice one but if you are arriving during the evening, please be prepared to look for parking. Small Parking lot! Overall staff was great and hotel is conviniently located next to a gas station and several eating options (walking distance).

We'd originally planned to stay in an airbnb in Washington DC, but on arrival it was far from suitable. We found this hotel as a last minute stay... were so pleased though, was great facilities, clean, friendly, easily accessible for DC. Would highly recommend. In fact the following night we stayed in the Ritz in Philadelphia and were very underwhelmed, this place is great value, good facilities, good location for DC.

College Park located within metro area and restuarant across the street. Staff very friendly and always ready to help in any way they can. Room very clean and quiet. The price was great too. I would highly recommend this area and hotel for a Washington Visit.

We've stayed at this hotel many times after suffering at other locations in the College Park area and found this hotel to be a decent value with clean rooms, good beds and bathrooms, decent Wi-Fi, and courteous staff. The downsides are few: not a lot of parking, so late arrivals may find it a challenge and the included breakfast is typically forgettable but there is a Denny's across the street.

We enjoyed the time we spent touring the DC area. It was nice to know our hotel was close to the metro and all types of restaurants. The staff was friendly, answer our questions about the rooms heat/air and all other questions concerning the area. I didn't report the noise on our last night due to the fact it wasn't their fault teenager basketball players can't respect others. Also the water temperature fluctuation happened twice during our stay, then came back to normal so I forgot to mention it.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Checked in was fast and effective. Room is very very clean, spacious, modern, great amenities (fridge, coffee machine, microwave),bathroom is clean as well, soap shampoo body lotion all smells good. Bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is good too, warm and cold type and any type from cereal to warm scramble and self making wafel. There many restaurant around the hotel and you can just walk, CVS also only 3 minutes walk from hotel.Will definitely stay here again if I visit College Park

Bare minimum -- beds slept good. Internet was good. No lobby for guests to relax. Poor lighting in guest rooms, but they were clean. If you want any feel good experience for a hotel, this one is not it.

Nice hot shower, with great smelling soap, comfortable bed for a good night's rest, and a good hot breakfast to start our day. But don't expect to be welcomed, at least we were not. I would recommend getting the top floor if you are wanting to sleep in.

Complimentary off street parking with plenty of space in the lot. Luggage cart available when I needed it. Shower had hot and cold backwards, but not hard to figure out. Breakfast was ok, even though the toaster is feeble. Overall, I would stay here again. (Free stay with rewards points, so no idea about price/value.)

Spent 5 days here and really enjoyed the location and the staff. Kim was very nice upon checkin and the breakfasts were very good. Nice location and very close to the college. We will be back for future visits to visit with our family

We stayed one night at this property in connection with a visit to the University of Maryland, which was less than a mile down the road. The entire hotel, including our room, was in excellent condition. The included breakfast was more than adequate although the seating area was a bit small. Also, the parking lot isn't large enough to accommodate all of the rooms. On the night of our stay, we got the last spot and were told street parking was also available but that's not a great option.

This is a beautiful, newer Best Western Plus Property. It is high quality all around, easy to navigate, and staff if wonderful. Always great to get free breakfast, which is one less thing to take care of. GREAT place to stay. Excellent value as well.

The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. The breakfast was just as described. However, the hotel rooms are very noisy. I heard people walking above us and heard the people next to us. The noise from the other hotel rooms woke me up.

I stayed here for one night while in College Park for work. When I walked in the lobby sort of put me off - so I was relieved to see the room so bright. Rooms were very clean (seems like a newish hotel) and the internet worked great. Free breakfast in the morning was more than I was anticipating. Plus the pop machine was only $1. Finally! Pop for the price of what pop should be! There are several places to walk to for dinner - I felt safe as a single woman. I'd stay here again - but hope I get a better rate.

We were in town for a tour of University of Maryland. The school was only a few miles away. Perfect location for us. The hotel and the room were both immaculate. The staff was very friendly and the price was right. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only negative would be no waffle machine in the breakfast room.

The room was acceptable. Sadly all but one of the staff we encountered were unhelpful. The evening clerk was too busy watching TV to answer questions and mumbled his responses unintelligibly (most likely to make us leave him alone). Other staff members kept passing the buck to others on responsibility rather than trying to help us. They refused to provide a glass of milk 15 minutes prior to when the breakfast area opened. My kids were participating in a competition at the University of Maryland and due to the start time, we had to leave before the breakfast area officially opened - all I wanted was one glass of milk for their cereal (which I had brought from home), but was told there was no way they could give this to us (though they were setting up during that time). There's a sign in the breakfast area stating to ask about gluten free options, but all this means is that a staff member will tell you that fruit is gluten free. I wish I had read the reviews here before booking this hotel, as the competition organizers had offered other venues. Lesson learned.

I chose this hotel for its location near the National Archives and the university campus. In this aspect, I was pleased with my choice. But I was not particularly pleased with the hotel itself. Firstly, my door did not shut all the way at first, although it did if you pulled it shut. This issue was annoying and slightly worrisome when I discovered it at around 1am one morning. The breakfast was typical of a hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety. The front desk staff that I interacted with did not seem to particularly enjoy their job although they were friendly enough. I was, however, very disappointed in the front desk clerk who checked me out and then declined to call me a cab even though I needed to get to the airport. She said "we only have Uber." I took the Metro instead.

My wife and I stopped here during a recent road trip from Cincinnati to South Florida. The building itself appears rundown, the elevator inspection license was expired, the Wi-fi did not work, and the phone in our room did not work to call the front desk. The woman at the front desk was busy on her phone and was very unhelpful. The person on duty after her was also no help, sitting on a chair in the dining area, feet on another chair, and sound asleep. The room itself was adequate, but the lack of customer service spoiled anything good I could say about this location. What exactly is the PLUS?

In my booking I requested a quiet room. Upon check-in I requested the same. She was busy on her cell phone and i seemed to be a bother. She said all rooms were booked and i couldn't make a change. Our room overlooked the busy street and she said they have made sound improvements. Well, if you are a light sleeper, the traffic noise is loud. There were not many cars in the parking lot and we didn't see many people at breakfast or about the property so i was suspicious of their being fully booked. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast only offered sugared cereals and terrible "scrambled eggs", unappetizing sausage links and potatoes, lots of carbs, and not much else. The bananas offered were perfect however. I did not see a breakfast attendant although my husband said he did. The area was clean and well stocked with what they offer. The manager/owner responded to a review I wrote on the Best Western site and just said he was sorry. I hope he addresses the attitude of his desk clerk. He explained that we booked a double queen and all of those rooms faced the street. Why weren't we offered an alternative? I'm sorry too but I would not stay there again!

This hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the University of Maryland campus across a bridge behind a big apartment complex (it's about 20-30 minutes to the Student Union). The next building to the south is a hotel under construction and the sidewalk is blocked, necessitating an extra 5-10 minutes to walk in the other direction to the traffic light (the street is very narrow and there isn't a shoulder to try to wiggle through). Once the building next door is completed and the sidewalk is reopened the travel time will be cut down, but I would estimate that the building is at least a month or two away from completion. The room was very nice, although overpriced - although this seemed to be due to high demand and low availability at the neighboring hotels due to history week at the university. The parking lot was full to the point where cars were forced to park off to the side near the entrance. The lot itself is not very large and when the hotel is full, like it was during my visit, I would imagine that it might not be possible to get a spot if arriving late. The breakfast was fine, although the selection was somewhat limited. The breakfast room is very small - it only has 6 or so small tables and I noticed that large families were taking up several at a time. The hotel itself is not very large - maybe only 40-50 rooms in total, but the breakfast room did feel a little cramped. Otherwise, everything else seemed to be in order, although it would have been nice if the room rate was a little cheaper and more in line with what they charge during other weeks of the year.

The hotel is pretty good, close to restaurants and shops, spacious room, large bathroom, but I didn't sleep because of the noise caused by people in two rooms in front of mine. At 1 a.m. a man was going up and down with beer bottles, children screaming in room (at that hour they should be sleeping!), and people talking at loud voice. I went out the room asking the man to be quiet, that we wanted to sleep and that, at main entrance of the hotel, there is an advise that says that quet begins at 10 pm. He looked at me as I was an heretic...and continued talking and drinking. At 2 a.m. I phoned to the reception to ask for security intervention to restore silence. Nobody went up and, finally, after other time, the "party" was over. At check out I told to the girl at reception (who was wearing white headphones while I was talking) what happened that night and I was upset for not sleeping ... I paid for the room (even if I didn't like to) and told her to advise manager that I was upset for such unprofessional behaviour of hotel staff. If hotel direction - not me nor you or somebody else - says that at 10 pm everybody have to respect silence, if something happens, the security HAVE TO do something and allow people to sleep quietely.

We stayed here for my daughter's graduation from the University of Maryland. (We had stayed here for both orientation and another campus event in the past.) The hotel is located right across the street from campus in an area with plenty of restaurants and other amenities. The staff is always friendly and helpful, giving you a feel of staying at a family-run place rather than a big chain. The complimentary hot breakfast was also greatly appreciated.

The room, amenities and service were adequate. I appreciated the nearness to the University of Maryland facility where my meeting was held, and the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. I would stay there again.

Great stay! Was here for a meeting at UMD and was pleasantly surprised at how close it was to campus. Rooms were clean, staff were friendly, and was much more affordable than the Marriott. I will be back.

Wow, what a wonderful experience I had at this hotel. I was in College Park to visit the University of Maryland and am very happy I chose to stay here, especially because of the Best Western's proximity to the campus. First, let me get the basic review requirements out of the way. The staff: very helpful and kind. The rooms: clean as can be. The beds: comfy cozy. And, most importantly, the price: very affordable! I heard they made a new hotel in CP called "The Hotel," but unfortunately I am not a millionaire and cannot afford that kind of luxury. At the Best Western, I had everything I could ever need. A nice breakfast, free wifi, a compact but functional gym, and FREE PARKING! I definitely recommend this hotel.

We had never been to College Park before and heard that some areas are not so nice, so I was pleasantly surprised that this was a good hotel in what appears to be a pretty well-traveled and safe location within walking distance of University of Maryland. The hotel was well kept, and the free breakfast was about what I would expect. There were hot and cold foods. The hotel is also within walking distance of many restaurants.

Overall, very nice and clean with friendly staff. We only stayed overnight, arriving late in the evening and checking out early the next morning. Breakfast was very good, but room and space was very small.

Hotel staff was great for a quick stay. Very close to University of Maryland which we wanted for graduation purpose. Breakfast was great, although a small area to eat so we took it to our room. They had little cheese omelets, sausage links, potatoes, pancakes, fruits, bagels, different breads, danish, coffee and juice. Room was a little to warm for me even after I turned down the thermostat. Otherwise for the price it was a great stay.

I'm a DC resident who wanted to get away for the weekend but still be near my home. The Best Western Plus hotel was the perfect spot. Only 25 mins from my DC residence, I was able to enjoy some alone time and still return to me home periodically to check on my home and pet. The facility is very well-kept. The rooms are spacious and friendly and I just loved the microwave and fridge in the room. The desk was a welcome plus for my studies and the sofa to relax and watch tv. Such a welcoming and warm location. One that I plan to frequent pretty often in 2018 and beyond. Thank you Best Western Plus, College Park, MD for a lovely lovely weekend. See you soon.

Clean, good amenities, great staff, awesome breakfast. For the price, it was an excellent stay in a good location in College Park, MD. I was on business at the university and found this hotel very convenient and an excellent option. Breakfast was surprisingly great, especially for a hotel this size.

This particular Best Western Hotel had a nice continental breakfast, and the high-speed internet worked very well! I reserved a King room and it had plenty of space for 4 occupants (a large king sized bed and a large pull-out couch-bed). The room was very clean, the light switches were located in very convenient places (bed-side switches operated lighting at the entryway and overhead bed lights). The bathrooms were very clean and neat, and they had wall-to-wall tile. The room was comparable to a 5-star hotel room. The staff was friendly and very helpful! I would definitely recommend this Best Western to anyone!

Stayed 1 night for College football game, very nice clean rooms. Great location for walking to local pubs and football stadium. Hotel staff friendly and accommodating our group. Breakfast was good, would only recommend that they offer a different style potato and sausage choice at breakfast neither wast very tasty. Although, they may also be a local preference compared to PA choices.

The hotel is satisfactory when it comes to room amenities and cleanliness. The overall experience I had was horrible. The hallways are noisy. The floors were vibrating when people walked outside. The staff wasn't very helpful when I couldn't sleep at 3 in the morning because of the loud noise in the hallways. When I asked for ear plugs the receptionist said I could go down the street to the nearest pharmacy store (about a mile away) and buy earplugs for myself. AT 3 IN THE MORNING!!

The room was extremely spacious, everything was clean, the TV was big, the staff was nice, and best of all the hotel is right by the University of Maryland. I hate to ever leave negative but they need more parking spaces as we literally took the last spot at 8:00. Also, the breakfast is free and you're better off skipping. The eggs are gross, the pancake machine makes chewy pancakes and there's not even plain oatmeal so you're better off going to Denny's across the street.

I've stayed at the Best Western Plus in College Park twice. And both times the experience has been excellent. Great value (unbelievable, really) with nice amenities, excellent, free internet, free parking, inexpensive clean and comfortable room (with nice television and good channel selection) to include bed, pillows, and sofa. Quite simply, this is a great place to stay and the hotel is in an excellent location for College Park (and very convenient for driving to/from).

Stayed here as it is convenient to the National Archives (assuming you have a car). Have stayed here before but this time had a room in the front on the street side despite having requested a room in the rear in advance of arrival - street noise can be an issue so be aware of that if you are sensitive to noise as Baltimore Avenue is quite busy (from early morning to late night). Breakfast was included and was standard fare - scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereals, bagels, juices, bananas, etc. Room was clean and fresh. You are about a twenty minute stroll (little over mile) from the Metro if you want to leave the car behind and go into DC or you can use the Metro Car Park of course if you prefer not to walk that far. Quite easy to reach the archives by car - less than 15 minutes away.

The location is great as you can easily access all the main roads and Highways in the area. The Aviation Museum is a stone's throw from this great hotel. Extremely well maintain hotel indeed. thank you.

Nice hotel, good value, very close to University of Maryland. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The breakfast was adequate--nothing fancy but for a quick on the go meal it was fine. There were many very good restaurants nearby. If you want to go to the Metro to go to DC make sure that you go to Metro Parking. We wound up on the other side of the tracks and had a devil of a time figuring out how to get to the parking lot!!

This was an excellent hotel. The room was very nice, service great, and the location was convenient. It appears that others think the same way as the hotel stayed full. I definitely recommend this hotel I will be staying again when in the D.C. area.

I stayed there because its location was convenient (I was working in the nearby National Archives). I had a room on the street side, so it was rather noisy at times. The nearest Metro station is rather far away, but I had a car. Overall, the hotel served my purposes.

I absolutely recommend this hotel if staying in the College Park area and visiting students at UMD., The staff are friendly and wonderful. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. Parking is great and always a space available now as they have issued parking passes to only guests staying there.

We stayed here for a campus visit.The hotel is 3 blocks away from UMCP campus. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and very convenient if you are visiting UMCP. Check-in/out is a breeze and the staff are helpful. We left our car parked there after we checked out and were told that it's no problem. Breakfast is included but don't expect too much. Yes I would certainly stay here again...if my daughter becomes a student here.

Stayed here to visit the University of Maryland. This hotel is just minutes away- very convenient. There are a number of places to eat nearby. Denny's is right across the street. Room was clean and comfortable and price was competitive.

Perfect hotel if visiting UMD College Park. 1/2 Mii from campus. Clean and affordable small hotel with very good complimentary breakfast. Room was clean and staff was courteous and accommodating. Visited UMD with daughter on college search. Easy check-in and staff was very helpful with area surroundings and attentive when we needed extras like toothbrush and towels.

Our reservation, made well in advance, clearly requests two rooms, both to be on an upper floor. We arrived to find that one room was on first floor, the other on the second floor. We reminded the clerk of our request. He said he could not see that request in our reservation (we have written proof). He moved the first floor room up to floor two, but gave us the ADA room without telling us-we didn't know until we unlocked the door. When we again requested a standard king on an upper floor, the desk clerk said "give me a few minutes and I'll see if another room is available". We never heard from him, even though he saw us walk out of the hotel an hour later. Great way to treat members of the Best Western Loyalty Program - especially those of us that have stayed at this particular property many times over the past two years!

Best Western Plus is walking distance to UMD College Park. It's surprisingly nice, even though the surrounding area is a little run down. Breakfast is good. It's clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Entire family satisfied. Would definitely stay again. Location was great. Parking was a little tight but manageable. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was filling and plentiful. Would recommend this location to any traveling family.

I have stayed at this hotel three straight years when I visit Maryland. The hotel and staff are excellent and are very helpful, courteous and professional. The rooms are clean, they have an excellent breakfast. I always enjoy my stay at this hotel.

I have stayed here twice now and both stays have been wonderful. The rooms are very clean and modern. From the outside it seems like nothing fancy, but the little things in the room are nice surprises. I love a firm mattress which they had, I love a ton of outlets, which they had. Even the toiletries were of higher quality. The front desk staff is always friendly. It's our favorite hotel to stay in in College Park.

Room was exceptional. Hotel was clean and spacious. The only drawback is no fan in the bathroom. The hotel offered a breakfast but we did not have a chance to go. There is no pool in this hotel and access to the facility is from a rear parking lot through the lobby doors on the side of the building.

This hotel was extremely comfortable and quiet. The staff was polite, knowledgeable and contentious. One improvement would be a guest laundry room; they offer a take-out laundry service; but, it is pricey.

We stayed here for two nights. Our room was not ready upon our early arrival but the lady at the front desk pointed out some local points of interest and lunch options while we waited. We had a corner room which gave us a lot of natural light in the room. Beds were fine and the room was nicely laid out and was spacious. The mini fridge and microwave were all put to use during the time we were there. The bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast had a variety of options to suit most people. Again the front desk staff helped to suggest dinner options which were exactly as we had told them we wanted.. Only a few blocks away from the metro link into Washington and is easy to find and use... the only thing I missed was a pool or hottub to relax in after long days walking in Washington but I have no problem recommending this hotel....

My husband and I stayed overnight at this Best Western with my son to visit UMD for a college tour. We had a well decorated studio room: one queen bed with a pull out couch. There was ample room for everyone, even a small room divider that gave parents and teens a bit of privacy. This Best Western has achieved "efficient elegance" in that the hotel is bare bones: no expansive lobby with a waterfall, state of the art fitness room or large screen TV's by the bar, but extremely clean. The only negative was the free breakfast that I would consider skipping. There is a awesome coffee shop just minutes away!

Hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. Nice complimentary breakfast offered. I had never stayed at a Best Western before and was impressed with how clean this hotel was. The price of the room was a great value.

Stayed here while we visited several colleges. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Several good restaurants in the area and very accessible to public transportation which is the way to travel in the DC area.

Excellent staff and hotel--the best Best Western I have ever stayed at! The amenities in the hotel room are also perfect for meals and snacks in the room for longer stays--microwave, refrigerator, etc. Hotel is a great value too--but the warmth and friendliness of the hotel staff is the best!

stayed here for 5 nights in a king room. It was so quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Our room also had a sofa bed which was great as well. Bathroom was large and spotless, microwave and coffeemaker, all clean and in great working order. Not a speck of dust anywhere!! Good job housekeeping!! TV worked great, remote had been sanitized ( how cool!) Wi Fi was good... Not excellent, but really no problems. They have a small business center and gym. Treadmill and elliptical were a but noisy when in use....might want to have them services, but very functional!! Staff was top notch...smiling friendly and helpful Elaye and the woman who supervise breakfast were on top of their game!! Breakfast was usually some type of eggs or omelette, sausage....sometime chicken sausage,many cereals, pancake machine!! Muffins, toast croissants etc. lots to choose from. Way nicer that I expected.and last but not least...good coffee available all day!! Location is great for any U of Maryland stuff. 3 minute drive to the Metro ( 5.50 to park at Metro!) about 20 min to Union station on Metro. All in all we were very happy. Owner should be proud of staff.... I am in this business and therefore pretty hard to please!!

Best Western Plus College Park was a fine choice for a recent conference I attended. The cost was moderate and my king-sized room was very nice and included microwave and refrigerator as well as a good sitting room with comfortable couch and table. Free breakfast was quite good and convenient and included several choices. I was able to walk to the University for the conference sessions and I enjoyed my stay very much.

I come every year to the University of Maryland for an education event and I've stayed at this hotel each time (since it opened). It's clean, close to the university, and is nicely maintained. It also provides a good quality breakfast of both hot and cold items.

Our recent stay at Best Western plus in College Park was a wonderful experience. We requested a quiet room away from the elevator, and we were given an extremely quiet room on the first floor. We appreciate that this hotel has signs requesting quiet hours after 10:00 p.m. The breakfast is fabulous and well attended to. We appreciated the employees in every capacity - front desk, breakfast room, and maid service. Every thing about this hotel was good - clean, comfortable, quiet and friendly. We have stayed here before and we hope to stay again!

The staff was friendly and the guy who checked me in who worked the shift that ended at eleven told me of places to eat that was great and places to see. Wry intelligent. Loved how clean the whole place was. Parking needs to be improved though there wasn't enough spaces.

this hotel was the finest in the Best Western Chain. the staff was excellent. I rate this hotel a 10 out of 10. it is in a college town where there are many restaurants and amenities. close to the Metro so you can get anywhere in DC.

This hotel is the closest to campus, walking distance to restaurants and Xfinity. It is a new hotel with all the comforts of home.The rooms are spacious and the staff is awesome!! My favorite College Park hotel!!

I will say I have stayed at Best Western before but this is my first Plus experience and it is much nicer than any Best Western I have stayed at. The rooms where very nice and much larger than expected. The staff friendly, the included breakfast good and in nice area, free parking behind the hotel. While technically this is not true 5 star hotel, for the price you have to rate it as such, much nicer than other hotels in this price category.

Great hotel for value, convenient to DC Metro station if your visiting DC. Spacious rooms are clean and internet access too! Great breakfast with good variety and excellent staff who are very helpful and care about your experience.

Clean and comfortable place to stay, not five star by any means, but truly excellent staff. Eleay at the front desk is wonderful. Very helpful, and has a great personality. One of the coolest people I've dealt with at reception in a long time! I'm not normally so casual in reviews, but the welcome I received justified the comment.

An OK location to spend a few nights. Nothing much to complain about, nothing much to get excited about. Staff is nice and professional. Parking lot is convenient. Room is wide and clean. There is even a breakfast, and some wifi. That said, noise isolation is weak. My room was facing the parking lot, not the road, so I did not hear the traffic. And People around my room were very quiet. Still, I could hear the footsteps of the guest above me as if he/she was walking on a tiles in my own room. And I am pretty sure everyone around heard all of my phone conversations. Breakfast exists but is basic, you feel it's a lot of 'processed' food. I only dared pick the fruits, reluctanctly. But it's nothing horrible either.

We chose this hotel to use as abase for touring Washington as we would be heading to Annapolis after our visit. The hotel was on a busy road but we were given a room at he back and the traffic noise was not a problem. The hotel is about 1.5 miles from College park metro station and metro trains and parking were very convenient. We found this to be an excellent place to stay location wise. We had our main meal of the day in Washington at lunch time and there were lots of good and reasonably priced places within walking distance for an evening light snack type meal.

Hotel was modern and very clean with helpful staff. The location was very good for visiting DC. Rooms were very large and were immaculate with all facilities you would need. We were very impressed with the Hotel overall and would recommend it for cost and service.

Was visiting U of Maryland and stayed at this Best Western. Great hotel. Kenny at the front desk was wonderful, even printing out directions to a restaurant, without me asking, so I knew the back roads to go to avoid traffic. Beds were super comfortable. I will stay here again for sure.

The walls are too thin. We heard the people next door talking and watching TV. Furthermore, we heard every person walking down the hall. We also thought the beds were too hard and the pillows were lumpy.

Stay Here! The room was extremely clean, nice, and the décor is pleasing to the eye. Matches up to the big chain hotels and then some! Bed is large and comfortable; Bathroom is extremely clean and has everything you need; Television is a large flat screen with many station options!

Room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was better than most. Would definitely return to this hotel. Has an exercise facility as well as a business center. Bed was comfortable which is very important to my wife and I.

We wanted a decent hotel at a decent price within a decent distance from DC (National Mall). This hotel was perfect- very clean, free breakfast, affordable (especially compared to downtown DC), and conveniently close to Metro station (less than 2 miles). The Metro ride should normally be about 25 mins (we had issues going and coming back) into DC. I would definitely stay here again for a DC trip.

Large, clean, comfortable room with king bed, sofa, desk, fridge, microwave. Good supply of good quality towels. Shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion provided. Good location for University and with near access to Beltway. Friendly, helpful, and professional staff. Above average breakfast. Not a lot of parking, but enough and somewhat protected (in rear of building). Would recommend and would stay again.

Great location with excellent food resources nearby. Especially accessible to the University of Maryland. Friendly staff. I really enjoyed the breakfast - eggs and sausage were hot. I always want better quality tea, but otherwise a good stay.

The Best Western is the newest property in College Park, although soon they will have some competition. The location on Rt 1 is very convenient to the University of Maryland. Even though the hotel is on a highly-trafficked major artery between DC and Baltimore, we could not hear any road noise at all. The room was very nice furnished. The parking lot is a little small, but fortunately there is another lot available at night immediately adjacent - both lots behind the hotel.

Hotel was surprisingly pleasant. Large room, clean and well-equipped. Breakfast was solid, obviously nothing to write home about. One caveat for those suffering from noise: make sure you request a room NOT facing Baltimore Ave. The hotel is just off the main road and it can get pretty noisy. Apparently, only the double queen rooms face Baltimore Ave, while those with a king bed face a quieter area.

Best Best Western I've ever stayed at. The hotel seems new and was clean. The king size bedroom was very nice with a sofa, coffee table, large tv, coffee/tea, refrigerator, and microwave. The pillows however were very small and worn out and not your standard size sleeping pillows. Also, the wifi didn't work in my room, but there are 2 computers on the entrance floor and FREE use of printer! The breakfast was also very good.

the hotel was wonderful, if you did not drive up to it..there was no where to park to check in, and then only maybe 20 spots to park. We were offered a permit to put in the window to allow us to park on the street somewhere (there was none) so they told us to park behind a service station if there was a spot..We left the next day...

We stayed at this location to attend a University of Maryland football game. First time we have been to the area. The gal at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We needed directions...a gentleman in the lobby walked outside and pointed out where we need to go. He was also friendly and helpful. Turns out he was the owner! We would stay here again. The lobby was nice, the room was clean and big. The TV was great. the breakfast was nice...lots of little touches to make this location a step up form others.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and helpful. The room was very clean. The breakfast area was also clean. I used the workout room, and the machines were in good working order. I will stay here again when visiting my daughter at UMD.

This hotel was very clean and had spacious rooms. The bathroom DOES have an exhaust fan, most don't anymore. It was the nicest Best Western we've stayed at. We were told it had been renovated within three years ago. It had a large Samsung flat TV. It was easy to find. The hotel staff was nice too.

When I first walked in, I was immediately greeted by friendly staff. My room was not ready, which was my fault, for I got there earlier, but I didn't have to wait long. As a member I made reservations over a week prior, and I specifically requested that my room be on the ground floor, and mine was a floor down from the roof. I had some minor problems with my room like bulbs burnt out, bathroom vent on non stop, and the most surprising thing I have ever seen, no hot water in the sink. Further investigation reveals under the counter a hot water reducer. I had to fill the ice bucket with hot water from the tub to the sink to shave. The beds were very nice and clean, but a little on the hard side for me. As for parking, it's obvious that size of the parking lot can not accommodate the number of guest at this motel. Found some cars parking on the side street. Breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay here again, for it was definitely clean, friendly and comfortable.

On our trip to the Washington DC area we decided to book at this Best western hotel, we were not disappointed. It was a clean newer hotel and mostly all the staff we dealt with were friendly and very cooperative. The hotel is close (about 1 -2 miles)to the College Park Metro which brings us directly to Washington DC, about a 22 minutes ride. Rooms spacious and clean the beds confortable, the complimentary breakfast no different than the other Best western. Wifi worked fine.

Quick visit for orientation at UMD. Very pleasant stay, from the staff at the front desk to the super clean room. Parking is a little tight but immediately upon asking we were given a parking pass for the street along the side of the hotel. Overall great stay. Will stay here again!

We just completed our third stay at the Best Western in College Park, MD and once again it was a pleasure. The hotel is brand new with large, spotless rooms and excellent service. They also have a decent free breakfast which is restocked very efficiently. The beds are super comfortable and the decor very cozy. It is a perfect place to stay while visiting your college student and the secret is out because it must be reserved well in advance.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The HDTV actually had HD programming (unlike many hotels that have HDTVs but don't subscribe to HD programming). This hotel was very convenient to where we were playing baseball. The only hint I can give you is ask for an odd numbered room. The even numbered rooms are on the front of the hotel which is very noisy due to the main road. The odd numbered rooms face the parking lot at the rear.

Worst Best Western ever. Staff was disagreeable and unhelpful on check in. Upon check out, there were no receipts as they had no working printer. Bathroom fan could not be turned off and ran noisily all night. After arriving back home, was notified by credit card company that someone tried to used my card # to charge over $1100.00 online at Home Depot for pick-up in VA. Hmmmm.

We were in the area to take a tour of the University of Maryland. This hotel was very close to the school, easy to get to, and a great value. The fitness room is always nice to have when you are away from home. Having breakfast provided is one less thing to worry about, and very convenient.

It was a small motel but it met our needs. We were visiting the University of Maryland and it was convenient. It was close to many restaurants as well as to the college. The price was very reasonable.

I found this hotel in 2014 when taking my daughter for her college tour. fell in love with the simplicity, cleanliness and staff. another guest agreed this was the best kept secret. now i'm sure the secret is out because it's harder to get a room when we need one.

I live in College Park in a small house without a guest room. When my mother in law comes to town, we call one of the many local hotels. In the past, I always booked the Inn and Conference Center at the University of Maryland, operated by Marriott, for her. They were all booked this trip,so I decided to try this one year old property on the US Route 1 strip just north of campus. It worked out very well for her. Very big, clean, modern room with a good bathroom and breakfast daily. She had a first floor room that added a sense of security with no reason to use the elevator. Parking immediately behind the building is free. Well priced. I will be calling this hotel again the next time I need a guest room.

The nice part of the hotel is that the room we stayed in was very comfortable. It was clean and modern. The pillows were very small - put we brought our own pillows anyway. The breakfast was also very good. It offered scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns and a pancake station. Also the traditional breads, danish, yogurt, cereal, etc. The only drawback was the lack of seating. My main concern was the lack of parking - there is none! You have to get there pretty early in the day to get one. I"m very surprised that this new hotel does not have enough space. We were told to park around the curb - some people had to park on the actual side road.

They accepted our 3 hrs early arrival.It is a Newer Best WEstern.The room was large and nice. The bed is good , covered with many pillows of a very small size. Our room was clean.No parking at the hotel at night available . Across the street from several fast food restaurants to go by feet. Good breakfast!

Let's begin with the plus: it's a nice room. Reasonably large, with a refrigerator and microwave. McD's is nearby, as is a 7-Eleven for a snack or a soda. Baltimore Avenue is busy but quiet at night. But... Those pillows! They are for either end of a sofa. They are not sleeping pillows. They are 15inches X 15 inches, hard and thick - just like sofa pillows. Will you please get real sleeping pillows? I found them very uncomfortable. The bed is hard, errrr, firm, but OK. Well, if you can't sleep, at least breakfast begins at 6:30am. The scrambled eggs are good. I don't know how that bug got into the orange juice - at least I saw it before I drank it.

I understand this is probably a new hotel so things should be near perfection. But let's be honest, many companies open up and standards and being unorganized is more common than most think.This hotel had it going on! The I's were dotted and the T's crossed, they simply operated on all cylinders . We wanted to be close to Metro so we could get into Washington easy:) Would I walk to Metro,no, it was just to long on a "hot" day. Besides, you can park for $5:) Breakfast was good:) The only tough thing was parking, but we still got a spot every night:) and we didn't get in most nights until 9:30pm. If I could suggest two things to the hotel staff:) 1. Bathroom tub floors are slickkkkkkkk 2. Sleeves for the hot coffee 3. Use this location for training all your other Mgrs. in the chain:) near perfection

We have stayed in a lot of hotels and this one was the best yet! It is clean and has the most comfortable beds. The TV was huge and the layout of the room with the king sized bed was perfect. This hotel is in the perfect location for getting to the University. We had no problems with parking during the three nights we stayed there. All of the employees were fantastic! When I called a week before we drove out they were so helpful with giving advice about the metro and were able to answer all of my questions. Upon our arrival through our checkout everyone we came across was friendly and provided customer service that exceeded my expectations! Breakfast was full of options and great coffee. Speaking of food, Denny's is right across the street which makes for convenient lunch or dinner. There are also a lot of other restaurant choices within walking distance. Next time we are in Maryland we will stay here! Thank you to all of the amazing staff!

We read a lot of reviews of this property before booking. It was unfortunate that we arrived late which probably didn't help our overall impression of the lodge, however it is most definitely not an area that we would like to walk in after dark. The room we had was more than adequate but we chose to check out a day earlier than planned to move to a better area. Would recommend for a night stop over en-route to somewhere but not for a longer stay.

We stayed here because of the location to the train station that we took into D.C. each day. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The entire hotel was immaculate and had stylish decor. Our room was very clean and had a mini fridge and had good shampoo/conditioner. The beds were firm and very comfortable. The continental breakfast had eggs, home-fries, sausage and other bagels, muffins etc and with excellent coffee too. The women maintaining the breakfast area kept everything cleaned, stocked and was very friendly.

Nice spacious rooms and outside has little manicured gardens. Exxon next door had snacks which was convenient! I would avoid the Denny's across the street; we went on a quiet Sunday night and got dirty silverware in a gross booth with trash on the floor. Only issue was while the BW staff were helpful, they were not always at the desk. We had to call the hotel to get someone out from their hiding place :) Tip: Metro garage is off Paint Branch Avenue from Baltimore Avenue. Staff never thought to let us know and we were on the wrong side of the tracks driving in circles. GPS takes you to the "walk-up" side.

Very nice hotel - immaculately clean. Rooms nicely appointed. Very quiet. Staff friendly & courteous. Amazing selection of TV channels. 2 minor gripes - the free WiFi was very slow, and the breakfast room had insufficient seating (only about 20 seats or so). The free buffet breakfast, while not extensive, was tasty & kept well stocked. Right down the street from the University of Maryland main campus, so many restaurants, bars, etc. in the area. Microwaves & refrigerators in rooms.

Although all the employees were helpful; the gentleman there for the late shift was very nice and was very genuine in his response to our questions. He offered to set a wake-up call, and ask if there was anything we needed to make our stay more comfortable. (This was about 11:30PM). We were exhausted after traveling all day and 2 baseball games for a tournament our son was in. He was a bright spot for 2 weary travelers. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spotless. We especially liked the water cooler down stairs (You could also get hot water for tea). We got a drink upon going to our room and leaving. Never saw this feature in a hotel. Great Job, Very Nice.

Hotel is new so it's clean and modern. Nice enough. Low rating is because they don't have enough parking for all the guests. If you get in after the lot is full, you have to go into the office and get them to give you a parking pass to park on the street around the corner. Said street is very steep and narrow and you have to park going up hill. No happy about having to park on a city street.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus for one night. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable, and the staff was pleasant and friendly. The only negative, and it's a small one, is the breakfast area, which is small. We were able to get a table but others had to eat in the lobby.

I stayed at this hotel during a work trip to University of Maryland. I found it very comfortable and convenient. I appreciated having a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in my room. I liked the location, within walking distance to the University and places I liked to eat. It's close to some pretty walking/biking trails, and 1.5 miles from the Green line metro stop. The only negative thing I have to say is that I had some credit card receipts and a metro pass removed from my room during the day while I was away.

Good value and nice place to stay. Near work place and new apartment for me so convenience was important. Would stay again. I stay at a lot of BW properties and I thought this place was pretty good overall. Room was clean and comfortable and front desk folks were attentive and knowledgeable

My son was graduating from Trinity Washington University so I picked this hotel because it was close to the University. The hotel was very clean and the customer service was AWESOME! I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. The staff was very polite, helpful, and genuinely caring. I never had any problems with staying here. The breakfast was not too bad but they had a big variety of food items. They offered military discount so the room was very affordable considering they had several different colleges and universities hosting graduations that weekend. I would stay again if I visit the area in the near future. I like the one way in and one way out exit to keep congestion of traffic under control. My only issue with this hotel is that the bed was too hard. I ended up sleeping on the sofa and it was very comfortable. If you love a firm mattress it will really work but I'm a “Mama Bear” and like a firmer bed with soft pillows. My favorite thing about this hotel is they have Direct TV so I was able to look at a variety of shows during my downtime. That was really nice! I would recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel., It is with in Walking distance to University of Maryland, College Park. Limited parking can be a problem at night. Baltimore Avenue has a lot of car traffic when walking but you can not hear it from the rooms.

Best Hotel in College Park!! Wonderful staff and great location for visiting the UMD!! I always stay here when visiting my daughter. The rooms are meticulous and the breakfast buffet is very nice. 24/7 coffee/tea in the lobby is a wonderful perk. Recommend this Hotel for sure!!

We were 7 miles from the college graduation we drove down to attend in DC! Easy back and forth!! Even ended up being close to an IKEA! Lots of restaurants nearby wtihin walking distance - close to the metro if we had decided to use it! Impeccably clean hotel with friendly service!

This hotel is one of the nicer Best Western establishments. The location is convenient (right on Baltimore Ave., just a few minutes from the UMD campus) and the rooms are spacious, functional and well maintained/cleaned. The free breakfast, although a bit spartan, is a welcome plus, too. The downside is that the rooms facing Baltimore Ave. get quite a bit of street noise. Also, you will hear every step people may take in the room above you. So try to get a room on the top floor facing the back! Enjoy your stay.

This hotel has the advantage of being in close walking distance to the University of Maryland. It was clean (although one of my colleagues had two mouse traps in her room). The bed is awful. It is hard and holds heat. The bedding is ironically thin and does not hold heat. The fan in the bathroom ran all of the time (this was true for all of the people in our group). The breakfast is standard continental fare with powdered scrambled eggs (really, doesn't that say it all?). I could hear the person above my room walking around his / her room, and people near the street could hear every car go by. The staff is honestly not very friendly. Stay for the convenience, but don't hang out there!

Stayed here while on business in the area. The room was very clean and the bed was just like at home (i.e. firm). If very busy, it could get noisy....a group of girls was staying in the next room and I could definitely hear them. I would stay again, tho.

Family trip, reserving several rooms including a handicapped access room. The hotel was clean, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Bathtub/shower in handicapped room very slippery, even with access bars, my mom needed help to get in and out of it. Water temps fluctuated a bit. Our room was facing Baltimore Road and road noise was audible, though not horrible. Breakfast was standard stuff -- adequate but not memorable. Breakfast room small. Front desk staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful. Convenient location to U. of Md. I-95 and I-295, though if you are thinking of taking Metro or MARC trains, the College Park station is about 3 miles away (nice walk along Paint Branch creek bike path, though not sure I'd recommend that at night or alone).

Very nice hotel. Not a lot of amenities, but very clean, modern, and quiet. Exceedingly pleasant, and efficient staff. My friends and I had fun getting creative with the bed dressings on one creative evening!

Very Clean and roomy rooms. Easy check in . Convenient location. Coffee maker , fridge , and microwave in room . There was a strong institutional smell to linens and towels (I guess from the laundry detergent they use and it was bothersome to me .) Room faced the road and you could hear all the car traffic and also the people walking in the halls and above me .

First stay in area, the hotel was well-maintained, the staff at the front desk friendly and efficient, and the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. Very convenient to UM, the only thing that would make it better is a shuttle to the nearest Metro station! On busy days, the car park is over-full and I could have done without a car altogether if there had been a shuttle. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Hotel was nice. Room was clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly. I thought it was odd that front desk is at hip level and the Greeter sits during check in/out. Breakfast was free and sufficient. The location can't be beat! Metro nearby to go to DC. Right on UM campus border. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. If your looking for a local bar without all the college students, try "The Town Hall". We walked to dinner every night. I highly recommend if touring DC. Price is lower and a clean hotel.

I have stayed at this Hotel many times over the past 3 years while visiting my daughter at the University of Maryland. The employees here are just wonderful. The Hotel is immaculate and the rooms are so comfortable. This Hotel is a gem!! Highly recommend staying here.

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Microwave and fridge in room was a plus. Breakfast was kind of not great. Powdered eggs, cheap commercial sweets, not great coffee. No carafe of water. Rooms facing the front of the hotel are very noisy with traffic, all night also. But great location for U of Marylad. About 1.5 miles from the Metro stop.

Good: Location to U of MD, large sized room, modern bathrooms, overhead lights in the room (not many hotels have that) Bad: Small parking lot, only one entrance in the front so you have to walk all of the way around, the bedding is very light as there is no comforter, the bed is extremely stiff

After some snafus when checking in, the owner/manager went out of his way to make us happy and upgraded us to a mini-suite. We stayed 3 nights and were pleased with the accommodations and the breakfast food.

This is a very good value for a nice hotel very close to the Univ. of Maryland, so it's perfect for parents visiting their college students. It includes breakfast, which is always a plus, and the room was large and clean. The staff was pleasant upon checking in and out, even with the high winds knocking out their server -- they seem unrattled and accommodating. I would recommend asking for rooms that face the rear of the hotel, as there is some traffic noise since the hotel is right on Route 1. But it was definitely muted. The only other negative was the parking lot being quite small. On one occasion I had to wait a few minutes hoping someone would leave so I could park in the lot (luckily that happened). Just a small concern if it's fully booked. The fitness center is very small so don't have high expectations about that, however at least they have one. We would return here again, especially since the price was moderate compared to other hotels I checked out.

Very clean, great staff and good breakfast. Excellent location: next to UM, lots of restaurants within a block and a short bus trip to the Metro. Price was great too. Excellent value. If I return to Washington DC, I'll stay here again.

Don't request a wake up call as it will never come. And you may get a call at 10 pm if they want to check your plumbing. But overall, very clean, with good amenities. The decor was nice and the bedding very comfortable. Really liked the modern bathrooms but no matter the time of day the water goes from hot to cold to warm over and over again. Heard may guests complain at breakfast.

I needed to stay overnight for business at the university. The hotel was close by and reasonably priced. A perfectly acceptable choice for an overnight stay. My only complaint was the heavy footsteps of the person staying above me and the small pillows for the bed. Otherwise it was just fine.

We normally stay at Hampton Inns, but took a chance on this hotel, as it had better ratings than the Hampton in the same area. It was not awful by any means, but I feel it could have been better. We arrived a bit early (1:30 or so), and our room was not ready. I understand that's to be expected, but its not something we ever experience at a Hampton (we have never had to wait for a room when we arrive at 1pm or later). Additionally, the breakfast was not comparable to Hampton at all. It is the same items every day, and the warming trays were full of liquid. The pancakes were also not very good. We stopped to grab coffee in the afternoons and it was very old and gross, and same with decaf in the evenings. The cleaning team was also very visible the entire time, and seemed frantic every time I saw them. The room was nice, but there was a fan in the bathroom that you could NOT turn off, and it was pretty loud. The bed pillows were also abnormally small. Also, the hotel is right off a very busy street, and we had a room facing the street. There was a large grate in the street right in front of our room and anytime a large truck would go over it, it made a loud noise. I would stay here again if I had to, and it would be OK, but if the Hampton were comparable I would certainly pick that over this.

hotel is literally on the edge of Baltimore Ave. Major noise on street side, did not sleep last night unfortunately...Also the heater/ac unit runs even if you shut it off and lastly there is a bathroom fan that is not able to be shut off which is very noisy.

On the way down to Florida by car we chose to stay in the Best Western in College Park because of its rating and the easy access to Washington from the nearby Metro station. The parking for the Metro station is a short distance away by car. Leave your car in the garage and go down to the station, buy the train ticket, R/T $8, and add on the parking fee $5. It is collected when you return and leave the garage. You can also pick up the local bus outside the hotel to take you to the station. The station attendants are very helpful. We had a spacious attractive room with large TV, wi fi, hair dryer, iron and board, fridge, coffee maker, microwave a large bathroom with lots of good towels. It also offered a free breakfast with dried oatmeals,scrambled eggs, yogurts and fruit. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely recommend the hotel and if passing through would stay again.

The room wasn't ready in time 3pm, not just for us 4-5 families also was waiting , women at the counter was unfriendly too .Breakfast was not bad.Gym regular as a similar hotel. Parking pretty big too.

We have stayed here previously with no issues. This time, there was old, smelly food in the fridge and hairs in the tub. In addition, on Sunday morning (the day we were checking out) housekeeping knocked on our door three times to see if we had left. Certainly the front desk knows we are still there.

I want to start by saying that I would stay at this hotel again :) This is a new but small hotel located near UMD. We were in town for a swim meet at the college and needed the basics. I reserved 2 rooms...a king bed for my husband and I and 2 queens for my kids. I wanted the rooms to be ajoining (since the one room was for a 15 &10 year old) I was told it wouldn't be a problem. Upon check in we were told they didn't have joining rooms available and our rooms were down the hall from each other. They said the hotel was full and nothing could be accommodated. This was disappointing. We were in a bit of a shock when in the king room there was a door that went to another room. Obviously, the room was already given to someone else. Both rooms were very spacious and nicely furnished. Large flat screen TV with many channels. Bathrooms were spacious and clean with lots of towels. The rooms had a microwave and refrigerator. The beds were a bit firm (but I'm OK with that) and the bedding was very comfortable. Our first night around 2:30 am we heard some people chatting through the walls. It went on until 5am (we had to be up at 5:30) We were in room 411 and thought it was the people in the room to the right of ours. We figured the wall were paper thin. We were so surprised when we learned the next day the only thing to the right of us were vending machine.....we still have not idea where the chatter was from. The next night we didn't hear a thing. People working at front desk were always very friendly and bottom line is we will stay at the hotel again.

I didn't even check in because one: they never charged the card, two: I had to pay $100 security deposit, but no where in the site did it say, such thing. I could pay $50 because it's only one night, but not $100. It ruined our plans completely. Trash and very expensive trash. Also they never picked up the phone, I called 2 times and different days because the e-mail containing reservation detaols did not have any details whatsoever.

Close to UMD- 15min walk, close to bus to UMD. If you take metro, you may need to wait for buses. It has Ethernet cable to ensure stable connection. big plus. Has hot breakfast. not so noisy air-conditioner

First off a big major props to the representative for Best Western Linda who handle our reservation after experiencing a disaster at the Comfort Inn in Beltsville. Props to Justin at the desk very awesome! Breakfast was amazing! Beds and Showers good. Pros- Choose this property if you want to get a good night sleep and great customer service. Cons- Communication between Front Desk and Housekeeping are very important. (Room wasn't ready in the beginning but Justin made it right in the end). Also a very small property not alot of parking options at night. Again it's okay just think it through before you build a hotel. Would I stay here again. Absolutely! Thanks guys

Was good!!! Rooms clean and elegant, location was convenient to I95, breadfast is not very varied special for kids, was average, rooms at front a little be noise because of de cars, ambulance, but second night was better, I recommend it and can use it again on my trip

A clean, safe, fairly new, hotel. No pool. Breakfast was below average. The beds were too soft and we had aching backs for the two days we stayed there. I never received a bill like I was told to be emailed to me so I am unsure what I was charged for. Next time I will just get the bill the old fashioned way. This hotel is most convenient to the college for us. However, a little pricey for what you get and compared to the area hotels. Not sure if we can afford to stay there every month we visit.

I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights while attending a class at the University of Maryland. This is a relatively new hotel and is very close to the University. I checked in late on a Sunday evening and everything went smooth. The person on duty explained the details of the hotel and was told when the complimentary breakfast was. My room had a king sized bed which was very comfortable. There was a sofa and desk in the room which made my stay seem a little like home. The bathroom was fine with no complaints. The room was made up every day by housekeeping and they did a wonderful job with no complaints. Breakfast in the morning was just ok. I'm not a picky person and found something different to eat but it just seemed to be lacking. Also the same thing was served everyday. Some people complain about the lack of parking but I never had an issue finding a space in the lot. I would highly recommend this hotel while staying in College Park.

Dont bother with other places, this is the one you want! I wasn't too familiar with the brand but my stay was so pleasant! (Note: I booked online) Check in/out was really easy & the staff were friendly, so kudos to them & the housekeepers. The location is great, the room was immaculate & spacious, there was steady high speed wifi, & my room was facing away from the street so I had no problems with noise. They do place a credit/debit card hold while you stay so please be aware before you check in. I believe its $50 for credit and $100 for debit. Parking wasn't an issue for me, there were plenty of spaces but if theres a full house I can imagine it being crowded. My only suggestion is to get longer shower curtains as they are too short, it can make quite a mess if you're not careful. I definitely look forward to returning (it'll probably be sooner than I think!)

I would stay here again, I had a great experience overall. If I had to say something negative, it would be the parking. We had to double park behind the service desk lady because there was not enough parking spaces.

This Best Western location was recently renovated. While looking for hotels in the College Park, MD area, I noted the photos of the property on Google and the positive Google reviews. The reviews and photos match perfectly - this property delivers on cleanliness, comfort and service. Large, clean, comfortable rooms (my room was junior suite with sitting area and kitchenette). The rooms are stylish, as well as comfortable. The breakfast is VERY filling (both hot/cold selections) - with a very friendly/attentive attendant in the breakfast room. The WiFi is spotty and somewhat unreliable. Often the evenings were the toughest when guest usage was at peak. Overall, I highly recommend this property - the value is unbeatable for the area (close to DC/Metro stations and the Univ. of Maryland).

The hotel is just a stone's throw from campus on busy Baltimore Ave. The parking situation is awful if you get there later in the day. The room was clean but smelled of bathroom cleaner (and we checked in at 10pm). We requested a room facing the parking lot, but we're told that rooms with 2 queen beds all faced the road. Be prepared to get up early as heavy traffic noise started around 6am.

I stayed in this Best Western for two nights. Overall, it was the typical experimence in this style of hotels in the US. Staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are large (certainly by European standards) and of good quality, while breakfeast is a disappointing affair (plastic cutlery, cardboard plates, and the choice is neither particularly high quality nor very wide). I was somewhat unlucky with my room being directly by the business center which was in the hallway which I would hear. Still overall, this is an ok place.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay at the end of our "get away". The staff was friendly and helpful; the location was convenient to freeways and restaurants, the hotel was clean and when we opened the door to our room, it smelled good - it didn't have that stale hotel room odor. We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again in the future.

Hotel was quiet considering that a busy road was in front of it. Being in a college town, it has a lot of inexpensive ethnic food restaurants in the area, and I chose a cafe with food from El Salvador, which was good. Parking was good, and the hotel was very clean. My room was large, and like most Best Westerns, it had a desk with lamp that has outlets in it, and the high speed internet for free. I personally like hotels with no pets allowed, since I am traveling on business, and usually choose Best Western. The breakfast will not impress anyone, but there is a Denny's across the street, and Burger King, and plenty of other options. The hotel was safe, and clean, and quiet, and the front desk staff was A+.

We enjoyed a two night stay. We had a double queen room that was very spacious. Our room was overlooking the main road which was noisy at times. Breakfast was well presented and tasty it's always a handy addition when you are travelling. Staff were not overtly friendly. Free wifi was great no dropouts. I would stay here again.

Super clean hotel and room...which is why I gave the five stars. Hotel is only two year's old and the facilities are modern. The breakfast is definitely enough to get you started in the morning. ..coffee, bagels, cereals, pastries, eggs, pancakes, sausage. ..all complimentary. Was here for midnight madness at University of Maryland and the hotel's proximity to the school was excellent, literally down the street. Took uber to Washington DC ... so location is excellent. Staff was friendly enough, but the rooms are very spacious and clean which is most important to me.

Nice hotel for visiting UMD, especially if you do not plan to spend a ton of time at the hotel. Stayed here before and was very satisfied; the property is kept very clean, fridge, microwave and safe are included in room, and hotel provides breakfast. Traffic all along Route 1 is brutal, but location is great for walking to/from UMD. The parking lot is cramped, but street parking on a side road is available (with pass from hotel). Considering that this hotel is right on Route 1, and in line with the local firehouse, not as noisy as expected.

We've stayed at a number of Best Western Hotels and this was probably the best one we've experienced. The lobby and breakfast area are inviting and the entire hotel is very well kept. We always take the stairs to keep in shape and we were impressed that the stairwell was carpeted. It's usually just cement stairs. It has a nice indoor pool and a surprisingly nice workout room, both of which we used. The rooms are roomier than most. Our minisuite had a divider between the bed and the living area which made it nice. The living area had a sofa, coffee table and a stuffed chair. It made it comfortable to hang out in. All the front desk staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The buffet was what you'd expect at a Best Western and the staff was very friendly and did a good job keeping things filled. There were two negatives. One of the three rooms we had was not serviced one day. The other two were and we all left at the same time. Someone just overlooked it. Also, when we were leaving one morning we passed a housekeeping staff and to help, we told her, "We're leaving now so you can..." and she said, without looking at us or stopping, and with attitude, "Not my rooms." and she just kept walking. It was weird. Everyone else, from the front desk to the breakfast staff to the other housekeeping staff were so nice. We still see this as the best we've been to, but it probably would have been a five star instead of a four star without this incident. We definitely recommend this establishment. We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Stayed here 3 nights while in town for a Maryland football game, we reserved a top floor room 6 months in advance but got to hotel and was told we were on first floor, not a good sign, only one luggage cart for whole hotel, odd, but we went to our room in back side of building. this is a small hotel, 4 floors, 50 rooms and yes parking is way too small for building, but there is parking on side road with hotel pass. anyways pro's; nice size very clean rooms large king size beds in rooms, that are comfy fridge micro and small safe in room excellent free b-fast (eggs, homefries, sausage, pancakes, bagels, juice) 15 minute walk to byrd stadium (maryland college football field) close to fast food restarants, and rt 95 clean large bathrooms cons: parking 4 small pillows on a king bed paper thin walls loud traffic from rt 1 all night (and we were on back side of hotel) raise rates allmost double on big football weekends charge your credit card total cost of stay at check-in Overall are stay was fine for the 4day/3 nights we were there, and if ur staying here for the weekend its a good clean Best western.

Hotel was clean, comfortable and complimentary breakfast was great. Staff was amiable and very helpful. Bed was firm just like we like them. Near U of M. Lots of fast food places nearby. If you come here you will likely enjoy your stay.

Good room. Front desk was responsive and co-operative to our preferences. Break fast is complimentary. Free wifi in rooms. Travelled with family, booked 3 rooms on 09 Aug 2015. We had forgotten 3 new handbags in our room. In one of the handbags a Louis vuitton wallet was there inside a zipped pouch. Called them after 2 days, bags were promptly returned. But it is a great surprise wallet went missing. Obvious to guess. Better control and corrective action required urgently. This was not expected from Best western plus standards. Hope to get proper response.

Noisy, so-so breakfast, no newspaper or shuttle. I would not recommend this hotel because of these reasons so I am just filling up the minimum of 200 characters, but I've said my piece. Location looked good, but without a shuttle it made it more of a distance problem getting around, especially to the Metro.

I checked in very late and was out by 4:45 am for two mornings. I was not able to eat breakfast and had no problem with parking. I was on the third floor facing the back and all I was looking to do was go to sleep. I did use the internet and it worked fine, if I was coming back to this area I would stay here again.

Hotel was clean and evening receptionist was very pleasant. Stayed on the second floor toward back parking lot. No noise and very comfortable. Clean. It was nice having a hot breakfast. First day there, sausage and potatoes were over cooked and not good. After that the breakfast was very enjoyable and a treat having something hot rather than just cold food in the morning. Had a good variety of food to chose from.
