The AC was so noisy that we couldn't carry on a normal conversation, watch TV or get to sleep. Would have opened the window, but the bug screen was missing so reluctant to leave open all night. Big screen was lying on the ground outside and looked like it had been there for a considerable time. When contacted management, they said they would get it remedied so the next guest would have a better experience and hopefully if I chose to stay again, I would have a better experience next time. No compensation to me for putting up with poor room conditions, so will definitely not be staying there again. Poor performance overall for a Best Western Plus hotel!
Walked into a wonderful welcome with the area decorated so pretty with fall flowers, pumpkins etc. Also coffee was brewed and waiting for us after a long day of driving. Office staff very accommodating and the room was very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast before we headed out.
The property was clean & up to date. Breakfast was normal. Room was clean. Beds kinda low. We had various issue's that haven't occured at other Best Western properties. Room phone wasn't hooked up. Had to move things to plug it in. Tried calling front desk to ask about A/C-Heat unit because the room was so COLD upon check-in. Thermostat on wall didn't operate the unit under the window, only there to show room temp. Which took a moment to figure out to adjust to warm up the room. Dirty towel on bathroom door hook upon check in. Possibly isolated incident's. Not the norm for Best Western properties.
Best Western Plus have been fantastic as we travel across the US with pets. This one was a great location just off the freeway, and not much road noise. Hotel is very clean and pet friendly (pet fee is much more reasonable than other hotel chains that will remain nameless 😉). Great for travelers. There is easy access to gas ... and restaurants and coffee are within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this location.
I was on the road for 16 hours. After a long day of fighting traffic, I decided to stop. Unfamiliar with the area, I looked up Best Western. The person was very helpful in making a reservation. 30 min later, I checked in at the desk which would have been around 1am. The person at the desk was very friendly, helpful and fast. It was great to see a smiling person with a great personality. The room was as expected, very clean, nothing out of place. I would definitely stay here again.
It's hard to believe these positive reviews are authentic, as this was one of the most awful and disgusting stays of my life (and I'm no princess). Getting past the tacky decor, the room was dirty with sticky floors and surfaces— even the remote control was sticky, there were what looked like blood stains in the bathroom, and the door was broken at the bottom like someone had kicked it. The lighting is terrible— bright white LED bulbs. But what really got to me was the bed— lumpy, saggy, squeaky, and frankly scary to sleep in. They'd covered it with about ten mattress covers to try to hide how horrible it is.. but there is no hiding from this level of discomfort. I barely slept and ended up leaving at 5:30AM just to get out of there. Depressing waste of time and money. I wish I'd stayed across the freeway at Home2 or Hampton Suites.
Good room, clean and spacious. I would have preferred not having been relegated to a "dog" room, as they are on the first floor and I feel safer upstairs, but the hotel is well secured and I had no issues with the placement. I also see no reason to charge extra for a dog, as they are generally quieter and less trouble than kids, but until hotels change this policy, dog people are stuck with the extra cost.
New hotel , paint and carpets still very fresh and crisp. King rooms are good sized. Road noice was surprisingly low (almost unnoticeable) for being so close. Lot's of close restaurants... many choices. Pool and hot tub were operating. Nice fitness center. Breakfast was pretty good, stocked regular.
As the parking lot was filled with work trucks of various companies, I did not expect much when I parked. However, the receptionist was very friendly and recognized me as a Diamont Select member. This does not happen very often these days. The inside of the hotel was spotless, and everything worked except for the alarm clock which the morning receptionist said is being replaced due to a manufacturer issue. The only issue was the workers leaving at 4:00 in the morning and slamming the exit door which was right next to our room. Other than that, we got a great night's sleep!
The original room assigned had not been cleaned by housekeeping. We went back to the front desk and instead of being assigned a new room immediately, we were told that the manager had to be called. Manager did not answer, so then the front desk person decided to go ahead and check us into a new room and follow us to the room to insure it was in order as well as check the original room that had not been cleaned. After traveling for several hours, we were ready to relax and get some rest. Policy needs to be getting the guest settled into a room first, then handling the business of unclean rooms.
Cheap dollar store elves were displayed throughout the lobby. It looked like it was someone's living room who collects elves - very ugly. The room had black/gray wall art - very gloomy
The hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable, however it was very difficult to sleep throughout the night due to the noise. You could hear the freeway traffic and there were large semi trucks parked in the lot behind that were running their engines all night. Additionally, the breakfast was very subpar compared with the other Best Westerns we've stayed at, which we were told by the front desk “it meets the minimum requirement of Corporate”. I would not recommend this location, especially for the increased price. We were told the prices recently changed from$150 per night to $260 based on demand. During our stay the hotel was primarily booked by military personnel who receive a discount government rate, we however paid the increased rate for the night. Not our best stay at a Best Western!
Best Westerns have gotten much better. Have stayed at a few and they are all good. The location is what it is. It's basically by a truck stop. But, very convenient to get on the highway. Breakfast is good when the coffee machine is working. I would stay here again if I ever find myself in Barstow.
Very clean and comfortable hotel. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful. Aquilla, the breakfast attendant is very friendly and helpful. They do a very good job decorating for the holidays as well. Feels like home. Newer guest laundry machine worked very well. Overall a fantastic experience here.
Aquila is the most politest, she makes a great start to the day. She's always working really hard making sure the food is always stocked up. Thank you very much for making such a great stay!!! Every morning she greets you with a smile and she remembers your name and room number, she is fantastic. Everyone there is really nice and helpful. However Aquila goes above and beyond.
Very pleasant stay with nice staff and beautiful property. Breakfast was hot with lots of options. The property is close to shopping and restaurants so you have a lot of choices. Easy access to the highway.
Clean room. Check in very slow (had to wait almost ten minutes before a human appeared). Fire alarm went off in morning. Only two rooms evacuated. No staff to be seen. We left an item of value behind (our fault, we know). They kindly emailed us. We rang. The front desk guy claimed to know nothing about it. We asked him to find out and email us. Two months later, despite several reminder emails, we are still to receive a reply. Very disappointing.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Barstow twice within a 7 day range, once on our way to Arizona and once on the way home. Both times the stay was wonderful. This is a well run, very clean, and enjoyable place to stay. The staff is excellent, the breakfast is awesome, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Great place to stay with your dog, as well!
The room was nice/clean and the staff is always friendly. I enjoyed my stay this week. Their Breakfast is the best. I left something in the room after checkout and they put it away for me. I always enjoy my stay.
Hotel is very pleasant. All employees are very friendly and will help you with anything you need. I will try to stay here for my restart every time I deliver in Fontana. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around the area.
This is a great stop in Barstow. Room, staff and breakfast were all good. Even tho' we arrived late, a friendly person greeted us warmly and checked us in. Plus there is a Freddy's next door for a little ice cream treat.
Great hotel with clean and comfortable rooms, outstanding breakfast with a custom coffeemaker. My family raved about the mocha coffee option. The hotel is located in a somewhat rough area but the staff does monitor the video cameras located throughout the property and parking lots. The front office staff was very helpful and friendly.
I would highly recommend this hotel, I was extremely pleased with how clean it was! We had just left Las Vegas when we got caught in the storm Hillary, Caltrans had actually shut the freeway down in both directions so we had to find somewhere to sleep for the night, thankfully we were able to find a room and I said to my husband, we paid all of that money for a room at the Venetian in Las Vegas and look, this room is not as fancy but, just as nice. I also want to mention that the free hot breakfast was very, very good!
Enjoyed my stay, friendly staff, clean rooms, great breakfast. Will definitely be back. I stayed two nights, check in was easy. They offer online check-in. Complimentary waters at the front desk. Top notch.
I think most people who stay here are in their way through from LA to Las Vegas because the man at the desk was surprised and excited that we were staying two nights. He told us all the sights in the area and we did go to Calico Ghost Town, which was fun and interesting. Our room was great and the staff were lovely. We even had a view of the desert to look at in the morning when we woke up
The hotel is very nice, considering the location, which has a lot of big-rig truck traffic locally. (Better than the other BW in town, which gets too much noise from diesel locomotives all night!) The BW Plus has better soundproofing, and newer amenities. Many restaurants (mostly fast food, but decent) all around the place. The women at the front desk are friendly, professional, cheerful, and accommodating. I had a problem with the desk chair in my room, and they quickly resolved the situation. Though I only usually stay in Barstow for one night, this is a hotel I look forward to using when I'm there.
We received a friendly greeting when we arrived and were given a nice room. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and engaging. Breakfast is always good with a wide variety of food items and drinks, and the Breakfast Bar is always well stocked. We have stayed here before and will continue to do so.
All staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Irene in particular was very helpful. We had an unusual need and she handled it efficiently. The pool was surprisingly refreshing. It was 107 degree day and the pool was 82 degrees. Awesome. It would have been nice to have at least one table with umbrella, but you can't have everything. The room and grounds are clean and breakfast was varied and tasty. Too bad they ran out of their seasoned potatoes...
This hotel was a great experience from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone was helpful and cheery (special shout out to Jessica at the front desk). The room was comfortable and spotless and I couldn't hear the nearby freeway at all. I highly recommend staying here.
Friendly and helpful staff. Best service ever at breakfast by Aquilla! Careful explanation of all the breakfast options. Was quick to offer to try to accommodate any special dietary needs. Spacious Room ready. Dog friendly. Easy check-in and check out.
Great halfway point from Mojave to Joshua Tree. We stayed at multiple hotels and Best Westerns from Yosemite down to Barstow. This one was the best, friendliest, and comfortable. Jessica, Aquilla, everyone. Super nice. Great breakfast. Good channels. Good soap and shower supplies. Quiet room array from the freeway.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and pleasant, just avoid being next to the lobby as it can be loud as people check in and out. While my son and I were at the pool the woman from the front desk brought us water to make sure we stayed hydrated.
Easy to get to this hotel from I15/I40. Nice, clean modern rooms, great sound proofing, good beds, good amenities. Staff were great. Close to restaurants and fast food options. Would definitely stay here again.
Comfy bed, great shower, clean room, vegetarian breakfast options, easy check in and out. What more could you want! Great location too, near Dunkin! Stayed here for the 2nd time because it's close to shops and restaurants we like. We go rockhounding near here, so sometimes it's easier to stay here than drive up and back in a day from 2 hours away.
Bring earplugs if noise bothers you. Although on the newer side, this hotel is very close to the interstate and there is noisy truck traffic all night long. Breakfast is normal BW fare, but in my opinion coffee was sub par.
This hotel had wooden floors which is a plus. Nice TV, beds comfortable with lots of pillows. The floor wasn't as sturdy as it could be. It kind of vibrated. Not a deal breaker. The bathroom was fine with extra counter. Had a desk and it seemed clean. Would definitely come back. Breakfast - Cheese omelet, egg patties, bacon, hash brown cakes, yogurt, breads, waffles, cereal, etc. Friendly staff.
The hotel is nice other than being so close to the freeway. Jessica was working when I checked in; she took care of me and a couple other guests flawlessly. She's very solicitous of the guests' needs and confort . You are truly fortunate to have such a person in your employ.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Coffee and tea in the room. Bottled water is available. Breakfast was fine. I had a dog with me and they were very accommodating. I've stayed here several times before. Oggies restaurant is close and very good.
My experience with Best Western hotels across the United States have been excellent. The hotel staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean. The continental breakfast is very good.
Last week we stayed at the BWP New Inn & Suites in Barstow, CA. We found the hotel very comfortable. The people that are employed there really take pride in providing a sparkling clean and pleasant hotel. I would like to high light two of the employees that made our stay so exceptionally wonderful. The team of Jessica and Irene went out of their way to make sure we were will taken care of. They both made us feel appreciated and welcomed. Jessica even looked up the name, times and directions for a church service we wanted to attend. When we returned from the service Jessica even checked to be sure we got there okay. This kind of attention and courtesy is very rare these days. We so appreciated the extra care they gave us. We also noticed that in the morning all the employees were happy and smiling also. Their attitudes and especially Jessica and Irene's made us feel valued. Because of them on the way back home when we needed another place to stay we chose to stay at another Best Western Plus. We were also pleased with the Hotel and it's employees at BWP in Lancaster, CA. suites in Barstow
we were met at the front desk by Josie . her smile and loving personality were contagious. in the morning, we were met by Aquilla with an amazing breakfast. she puts her heart and soul into it. It was the perfect start to the day.
Been going to best westerns for a while and this location has the rudest clerk ever! I watched her tell a little girl she couldn't use the restroom while she was dancing not to pee herself, she also previously yelled at when when I asked for another room because the room she gave me was still dirty! If you run into the white lady with all the crappy tattoos get ready to argue. I stayed at this location due to work several times and never had a decent experience with her!
From the moment we checked in, we were treated very well. The lobby was seasonally decorated, we were offered free fruit and water anytime. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good as well.
this hotel was nice, the staff friendly, the breakfast was fine, but the room was really dark. So dark that it was hard to see the table legs of the dark coffee table and i tripped on them more than once. Parking was convenient and well lit.
Jessica, Front Desk Cleak, was pleasant and provided excellent customer service during my recent stay. The price was higher than I expected for this hotel but it was clean and comfortable. Located near the outlets and nearby affordable places to eat.
I love the choices of properties available plus info about properties. Hotel was a relatively new property and plenty of food options close by. I would definitely stay at this property again if traveling in that area!
The BW Barstow is a newish Hotel with excellent facilities, rooms, fittings, and service. However in contrary to the many 5 star ratings, often from 1 review reviewers, it is extremely noisy, and you will not get a good nights sleep there. There is little to complain about the Hotel itself, other than where it is cited. It has the I15 at the front and a major truckstop at the rear, consequently throughout the night there was noise and disturbance. The double glazed windows are clearly inadequate, and I'm not sure that triple glazing would fully cure it. As I say, in all other respects other than the totally useless employee who they trusted to look after the breakfast matters, it would have been a good place to stay. I have just spent over 3 weeks travelling Route 66, and stayed in many BWs that were near to Interstates, but none that were anywhere near as noisy as the Barstow one, be warned.
I stopped at New Barstow Inn & Suites at 10:30 pm after calling ahead to check availability. Jessica had wonderful customer service. I asked a number of questions and it took me a minute to locate my credit card. Jessica was extremely kind and patient. When I arrived, Jessica immediately made me feel welcome with her friendly greeting After quickly and efficiently checking me in, she showed me the complimentary fresh fruit that included kiwis! I love kiwis and have never seen them offered as a complimentary fruit before. In addition, she had just made a fresh pot of coffee which I was in desperate need of after driving for hours during Friday night traffic. As I was carrying my bags to my room I saw that she was just as professional and courteous with each and every guest even though it was getting pretty late. Another thing I appreciated was that the hotel was spotless from the lobby all the way to my room. I'm looking forward to the complimentary breakfast and to using all the amenities tomorrow. This is my favorite Best Western so far and I've been to quite a few in California, Texas, and Alaska. Thanks Jessica. You're the best!
Love the Hotel, friendly welcome in staff. Thank you, Irene Aqilla & Jorge. Enjoy my stay Quiet/ peaceful place. Passing through the desert and I can said this is one of favorite rest stop. Definitely recommended
The staff at this location is simply amazing! Especially the morning staff, including Irene Aquilla, Jorge, Josie, Jessica and Sabrina, they are super pleasant and very customer friendly! They made our stay really nice. We will definitely be back!
From the time I checked in to the minute I left I was treated like Royalty. Josie the front desk attendant is a keeper. She is amazing, friendly, professional, caring and goes above and beyond to make you feel special. ❤️ Jorge the security is also very friendly, professional and helpful. He a keeper too. Irene and Aquilla are also keepers and I apologize I know one is front desk and other is amazing breakfast person who you can tell enjoys her job and takes pride in her breakfast setup, it's presentation and quality. I was in a hurry so I'm sorry ladies I can't remember who is who. But I can tell they have terrific management and love their jobs. I definitely be back. Keep these 3 for sure. Kelly Ann Collins
I would absolutely recommend staying here. The front desk evening check in staff was great. She was kind, and genuinely cared, and took pride in assisting the visitors. The room was spotless and everything looked and felt new, it was also quiet so we slept great. Breakfast had enough variety for each member of my family.
One night visit. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was great. Pool and spa were clean and nice. Breakfast was fresh even at almost cut off time. I will definately stay again. Good restaurant options and very freeway close. I was on freeway side and did not hear it while in my 1st floor room.
the overall expirience was very good. i was most impressed with the front desk and breakfast staff in the morning. Breakfast was great and so we they. I cant remember the name of the woman who put out the breakfast spread but, it was kind of like going to Grandmas. The only downside was that there is no truck parking at this location and I had to walk a ways.
I had a great experience in my one night of staying. Staff is great, clean inside and outside. My king size bed was very comfortable, Samsung TV was big, room was very clean including bathroom. Without a doubt well worth and would say it was a great value.can't wait to stay again and again….Thank You BW
Nice motel with friendly staff. The beds were really low and soft but everything worked. Even had a Keurig in the room which made my husband happy. Nice handicapped shower. We were there just overnight but it was a pleasant sleep.
Great experience from start to finish. Staff was awesome and welcoming. Got us set up quickly and gave us a great restaurant to eat dinner at. Oggies- Great Food! Had a nice breakfast before heading out for our next leg of our trip. Overall great experience!
The rooms are clean. Very friendly staff. Easy check in. Thank you very much folks. They want me to put 200 characters for this review. Well there's a few more characters so I can finish out this review... Lol
This felt more like a motel 6 than a best western, the parking lot was full of trash, people were digging threw the trash can , then they went to their room. My bed had holes in my sheets, the microwave wouldn't shut off, the staff told me to just unplug it, it was behind the tv entertainment stand way too heavy. Just was felt substandard for a best western
My main factor to highly recommend this hotel: the A/C. The A/C truly works. Your room will be cool/cold and comfy. Second factor a quick breakfast bite. Second, their breakfast selection is great and they offer gluten free and alternative items like almond milk. The staff is friendly and helpful. My experience with Aquilla, Irene and Jorge is been awesome! I have a project near by so I will stay again in this hotel.
Best breakfast I ever had for a complimentary. Very nice staff.very helpful...we enjoyed ..Irene,Aquila, Jorge.THANK YOU ALL.rooms were all nice and clean. A very generous staff..I have eaten breakfast in alot of hotels. But this was one of the best.
I stayed at the Best Western for a week of work in the desert and to avoid the heat we started early, around 530 every day. The breakfast bar didn't start until around 6 but the woman who makes the breakfast, Aquila, noticed we were leaving before we had a chance to grab anything, and started putting it out early for us and other hotel guest that were up early too. Aquila was so friendly and always had a positive attitude!
Newer property with very nice furnishings. Air conditioner worked extremely well against the desert heat. The refrigerator was much larger than expected and held all of our travel drinks. Our first time to stay at this Best Western and will definitely stay again.
Stopped here for a night with family to break up long drive and could not believe how noisy the room was with footsteps from floor above, other rooms t.v's etc spoke to Girl on reception and she said it would quite down after 9:30, so got kids to bed and waited untill gone 11 and it did get a bit better (enough to get to sleep!) then every hour or 2 heavy footsteps from above kept waking us all up. When complained in morning they said there was nothing they could do for us in regards of compensation as we are from england they could not give us extra points for a nights stay somewhere else because of our address and because we booked the hotel through Booking.com they could not offer us a discount. Wish I had just kept driving to LA and not bothered stopping, would be less tired!
Staff was very friendly. The room had a large mini-fridge (no freezer), and a comfortable bed and furniture. There was no carpeting. We did hear noise from other rooms. The bathroom had a good shower head but poor lighting at the sink. We had a good breakfast of processed hot items, waffles, hard-boiled eggs, etc.
having looked at hotels/motels in Barstow we were going to keep going when we saw this Best Western Plus. Clean safe, staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Water complimentary, Nice surprise oranges and apples free and available 24 hours. Breakfast was fresh and good. The lady in the dining room kept the area spotless and well stocked. Wish all the hotels we have stayed in on our 10 day trip were as clean and friendly as this one.
The room was fine but the staff was fantastic. It is located conveniently near the freeway. The room was spotless and it is clear housekeeping takes great pride in their work. The hot breakfast was nicely laid out and well supervised to make sure nothing ran out. Jessica C at the front desk was especially helpful. She provided a great suggestion of where to go for dinner and also a great family friendly place to meet some friends for lunch the next day. We will stay here again.
Outstanding customer service, friendly staff clean rooms. I want to compliment one of your housekeeping staff her name was Aquilla, her customer service went beyond expectations. She not only made us feel welcome she made us feel like family. Her breakfast spread was impeccably clean and the food was delicious, best coffee I have ever had at a hotel! I feel like I made a friend for life. I give your establishment a 12 out of 10. My family will definitely stop by again when in Barstow and I will highly recommend it to everyone. Aloha ~ Darline
Had a great stay at the BWP in Barstow. The rooms were large and clean, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom had good hot water pressure. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again
I had breakfast in the hotel and Aquilla who manages the breakfast is just the best. So accommodating, helpful and proactive. She was offering 1/2 waffles and other help to guests without being asked. Super friendly, cheerful and enthusiastic. I would go back to the hotel just for her. My only question is, does Aquilla want to be my Aunt?
I picked this hotel thinking the lack of rugs would make for a cleaner room, which was true; however, it also meant that there was nothing to absorb sound. Our room was on the third floor and right outside below the window on top of the second floor was a giant air conditioning system. The sound was deafening even with the TWO separate shade systems drawn. The hotel is right next to the freeway so that added to the noise. It was extremely hot outside so we had to turn on the fan at 3:30am and it sounded like a jet engine. There is also a loud fan in the bathroom that runs continuously with no way to turn it off. We picked the top floor because we were warned that if we chose the second floor we'd be hearing people walking in the room over head. (Remember, no rug). I will never stay here again as there is no way to have a quiet night sleep.
Newer hotel, close to freeway and loads of national food chains real close. Hotel is very clean. I was impressed with the very friendly staff member we encountered at check-in, Jessica. Very pleasant and helpful encounter, enthusiastically confirming my restaurant choice, Oogie's Pizza. This hotel would be my first choice when passing through Barstow next time.
We stopped here on a road trip before heading to Joshua Tree. We typically love Best Westerns so this is a good choice. The inside of this hotel was lovely, super new and updated but caution! The bathroom floors are SO slippery. I came out of the shower and nearly bailed despite the bath mat being down. So if you stay here, you will love the inside but be very careful on that tile!
Very clean, comfortable beds, nice bathroom amenities. Very close to freeway so convenient but could be noisy. We had interior room so only minimal road noise. Breakfast was excellent (not continental) with hot food and even fresh baking powder biscuits. Aquilla was attentive & friendly.
I cant say enough about the staff, all so nice. I think the woman that was getting the breakfast ready was amazing, she was so sweet talking to everyone all smiles. We got the king suite it was very large and clean. i would go back
We enjoyed staying here because of the cleanliness and friendliness of staff. We were amazed at how big our room is and how our needs were met exceedingly, so much better than big hotels! I recommend booking here when you pass this area, you won't regret it. We only booked for one night and we even wanted to stay longer but we needed to check out to see Las Vegas. Highly recommended!
The staff was excellent, Aquilla who was in charge of breakfast was excellent. She is a selfless woman who loves to serve others. Order was coming in so she was unpacking order, getting the food out, plus being concerned that everyone had what they were looking for. Thank you:)
Staff Member Aquilla was extremely helpful during our Breakfast Meal! So very kind and helpful, and most appreciated. The Front Desk Staff Check-In and Check-Out were very pleasant as well... Thanks for a Great experience
This was my second stay and it was just as great as the first time: Easy to check-in, staff was more than willing to help in anyway, service was fast and delightful, Breakfast was amazing and fresh, Pillows/sheets/linens were clean and organized, and Aquilla was one of the best employees their. Aquilla was very helpful, funny, and just a breathe of fresh air! Highly recommend to stay at this location if you're in the Barstow, CA area and I will be back myself! :) Thank you for your services!
Aquilla, our breakfast service lady was sooo pleasant and helpful. It was a great start to our day as we were here 4 nights. She was a jewel. Josie at the front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant also. Thank them for a very nice experience.
I spent 5 days at this establishment. They made me feel welcome every step of the way. I loved the breakfast. But most of all the person who was tending to the customers at breakfast. Aquilla made sure that everyone was satisfied with everything, and she graciously asked everyone if there was anything that she could do. She offers to make everyone waffles, awesome waffles by the way. I'll return here for sure, hoping to see my new friend Aquilla. People like her a not easy at all to find. A true gem.
Our stay was excellent at this hotel. Rooms were very spacious & very clean. Our housekeeper Jessica C. was exceptional & made us feel so welcome! Breakfast was hot & delicious every morning thanks to Sheila! She as well made us feel so welcome & like we were family. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Barstow. Thanks again to all the staff for making this a great stay!
I had a relaxing night at the Best Western New Barstow Inn. The room was large, well-laid-out, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Thanks to Marissa at the front desk for a quick check-in (exactly the room I requested). She also gave me the bottled water, which came as a welcome amenity for a Diamond-level member of Best Western Rewards. There were plenty of excellent choices available at breakfast. The check-out procedure was quick and efficient and I was on my way in just a short time after turning in the room key. I would definitely stay at the New Barstow Inn in the future. There are numerous gas stations nearby and also quite a few restaurant options.
In the mornings Aquilla serves breakfast and she is the nicest, friendliest hotel employee ever. Aquilla knows me because I stay there a lot for work and she always makes sure breakfast is a little early for the workers who stay there. She offers better service than most restaurants. Thanks Aquilla!
We want to make sure to give a shout out to Aquila, one of the friendliest people ever, for her attitude and helpfulness during our overnight stop. Her coffee rivals Starbucks and our breakfast was hot, fresh with quite a lot of variety. Thank you Aquilla for the personal touch you added to our visit!
The food service attendant is Aquilla. She kept the breakfast fresh and hot. Even better than that everything was immaculate! Wow! When she wasn't busy with food prep and service she was decorating the lobby for St Patrick's Day. Decorations are new and lively. Great employee. Thanks
Hotel was very nice and comfortable and clean. The only reason for the 4 stars is it was a little noisy from the occasional trucks on the highway. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. Aqvilla was so friendly and helpful. Made the best waffles! She was a kick and kept us informed and entertained. Made breakfast a lot of fun.
BEST! Best Western I being everyone is very helpful and polite and not to mention Aquilla outta this world sausage gravy Delicious! And the Waffles are the best! Everytime I'm outta town around the area I stay at this best Western Plus Best service!
Great place to stay! It was our first time traveling with our fur babies and it was very enjoyable! Clean rooms, friendly service and great breakfast! Aquilla serves breakfast with a smile! :) We will definitely stay again!
This hotel was great. Rooms were big and clean (love the hard floors). And the price was totally reasonable. The check in lady Josie was super helpful and the lady working the breakfast bar, Aquila, was amazing. We arrived early for breakfast and she was more than accommodating. It was such a pleasure to see someone that took such great pride in her work. We were just passing thru but if we are ever in the area again, this is our hotel!
This hotel is located right off the exit with a McDonalds adjacent to the hotel, but you would probably need to drive to other food options. Since the hotel is located off the exit, the noise from the highway is quite evident and can be annoying if you are looking for a quiet place to rest. The parking lot is small, so be careful if you are pulling a trailer or camper. The room is plain, but comfortable with one chair with an ottoman, a desk chair, and a Keurig coffee maker. The room also has a nice sized refrigerator and microwave. The room was clean, and we loved the wood floors instead of the usual carpeting. The walls are thin since we could hear our neighbors tv late into the night. Since the hotel was not full, we wondered why guests are not separated, since the thin walls must be a common complaint. Breakfast is served from 6-9am in a tiny area which makes it nearly impossible to socially distance, so if this is your preference, plan on eating in your room. Breakfast was just like any other Best Western which included two hot food choices and cereals, pastries, etc. Of course, coffee/tea available as well. neighbors tv. The hot tub is worn out and the pool is not heated and needs a cleaning. The front desk staff was ok. We stayed for two nights and needed to have our key cards reprogrammed after the first night and the desk clerk did not even speak when he reprogrammed them. That was a little uncomfortable. Not all staff or visitors wore a mask in the building which was also a concern since masks are currently mandated inside all businesses. It is difficult to believe a name brand hotel does not follow state mandates. So, does this mean cleaning practices and standards are not consistently followed, too? It does make us wonder. Most areas appeared clean. This hotel would probably meet your needs ifor a night f you do not care about the highway noise.
Aquilla was so helpful with opening the breakfast and offering everyone a nice hot waffle, made to order! In today's travel society it is nice to have friendly staff to help make your stay a little more like home.
This Best Western Plus is a nice example of what a hotel should be for travelers. Bright, clean, comfortable, good value, nice staff, great breakfast. It's freeway convenient but the rooms are quiet, with micro/fridge/coffee and a very nice large screen TV. So you know this is a legit review, the water-saver showerheads leave a great deal to be desired. It takes forever to get shampoo/conditioner out with the low water pressure. Breakfast was back to pre-covid standards with more choices, both hot and cold, than we could possibly eat. Multiple fuel and fast food options are right there, including the Original Del Taco, a Barstow tradition. Aquilla was one of several employees who went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and thanked us for being Best Western Rewards members.
Very clean and comfortae, much nicer than the other BW in Barstow. Only downside is that most of the restaurants are on the other side of the interstate. We walked to the Black Bear Diner, which was an OK place for family. Better options are on the other side of the interstate. The front desk staff were excellent.
Great stopping point for us. Fueling up and wide selection of food choices. Clean well maintained property friendly people staying here and very friendly staff Marissa was so happy to help us feel welcomed and getting us extra towels and blankets really nice. We have stayed at other hotels not Best Western and we wish we hadn't. We always try to stay at Best Western because we trust in there staffs and value.
Marissa the girl who good is lined up with our room was very helpful. After a long day on the road it was nice to kick back in this quiet clean hotel. Easy to get in and out of. Killer breakfast. Thanks so much.
If this were my first time at a Best Western, it would be my last. This place truly does not deserve the name. We chose it because it's new....but it's as if they threw the place up. It's like staying in a large garden shed. Incredibly plain...which can be OK, but here it just seemed like they were avoiding any kind of expense. There was yellow "caution" tape across one of the side doors because it didn't close properlly. Walking across our room on the third floor caused the furniture to bounce and rattle, which doesnt say much for overall building struture. We could hear our neighbor snoring. The room would not stay warm -- insulation? -- and the heater was louder than a leaf blower. (The bathroom was freezing regardless of room temp.) We called down to complain about the noise of the heater, and the front desk response was, "Oh, yeah, that room has a loud heater. We can't move you because we're sold out." So they knew but didn't fix it and put us in the room anyway, even though there were other rooms available when we checked in. Sleep was nearly impossible, but hey, I wrote this review in my head all night long...so there's that. Bedside lamps were so badly designed that you couldn't plug in phones or computers (in the plugs theoretically desiged for them) because the lamp base was in the way! A gigantic clock with 3-inch high numbers needed to be covered to keep from glaring light at you all night long. The mattress was awful, and the bedding was worse. The mattress cover bunched up under the sheet when you moved and the only covers over you were a sheet with one very thin blanket with another thin-as-a-sheet cover over it. No duvet. Not much of an effort at decor either. Mostly bare walls with a couple of too-small prints. Bare wood floors and a chair with an ottoman that didn't match. (Not that matching is that important but did they buy seconds or what?)Nothing nice at all about this place. And it wasn't cheap. Fact is I"m not sure what we were charged because we didn't get an email confirmation or a receipt for our stay. (And they couldn't find our membership info when we checked in either.) Ugh.
This Best Western looks brand new. Marissa at the front desk was super friendly and got us checked in quickly and efficiently. We were able to choose which floor we wanted to be on which was nice. Our room didn't have any carpet and we consider that a big plus. The bathroom was white and bright and clean. Nice sized TV and the internet was quick. Access to the hotel was super easy off of I-15 and there are multiple gas stations on the road as you come into the property off the highway. Will be an easy fuel up before we hit the road again in the morning. We had a 26' uHaul truck and there was plenty of room to park it. There is a McDonalds right next door and their parking lot connects to the hotel parking lot. It was a quick walk over to grab dinner after a long day on the road. This is most convenient stopover location we've had on our trip. I don't have any negative comments on this property.
Overall the hotel seemed nice and new, with many energy conservation features. The good: easy access to I-15, pretty good breakfast offerings (eggs, sausage, breads, cereal, coffee), comfortable bed, good (and free) wifi. Front desk staff was conscientious about masking. Plenty of free parking. Not too much freeway noise considering the proximity to the interstate. There was a constant low level hum but it was sort of like white noise. The blackout shades were in a channel and worked really well. The bad: We had to go back and get new room keys twice for a 3-night stay. Our keys would quit working sometime each afternoon. The Keurig brewer in our room did not heat. Motion sensing light in the bathroom was problematic at night, there was no way to disable it, so you got blinded if you had to use the bathroom during the night. It took 20 minutes to get the water hot enough to take a shower in the late afternoon (3rd floor). One side of the bed frame had a really loud squeak every time I rolled over. Housekeeper did not wear a mask, and masking was not well enforced on the premises.
What a great place to stay! Marissa, who at the time was a new employee at the front desk, was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all, extremely patient in processing a lobby full of MASKED (thank you!) and very tired guests all waiting to check in after an obvious long day of travel. Marissa quickly processed guests who both had reservations, but also didn't have advance reservations, and everyone was able to get into their rooms pretty quickly. This is a new hotel, and so it was nice and welcoming to walk into a hotel room with new furniture and bathroom, and rooms were modern and comfortable. And there was a hot breakfast waiting for us in the morning when we went down to the lobby. Thanks, Best Western, for a nice stay!
I stay at this hotel often for work and have had a flawless experience. The only things I would change are the breakfast time (Since most of us work very early a quick snack would be great) & A bigger gym (But it gets the job done). I must say the staff is why I'm writing this. There's a super sweet young lady that works the front desk that has always been on top of it and very helpful. Now for AQUILLA, I'm away from home often on these jobs and to have a worker that genuinely asks me about my day and converses with me is going above and beyond. She is such a hard worker. She cares and it shows. There needs to be more people like Aquilla out there.
Very nice place to stay very nice comfortable beds and great breakfast yummy and nice shower a very big room Thanks to Marissa she was very helpful. More people like her this is second time I sleep here in New Barstow Inn Suites And again thanks to Marissa
location is important. this place is right off interstate, near local eats and limited shopping. the location sells it. Friendly check - in, beautifully decorated and comfy rooms. Breakfast is usual but Mc in parking lot if needed.
I just want give a big shout out to best western plus for having Marissa at the front desk for guest services, she was amazing very detail how she express her self about our stay there, very good thank you again Marissa.
This is my 3rd times staying at Best Western New Barstow and let me say that this is a wonderful hotel! Marissa is super friendly and is always more than helpful. She definitely knows her stuff! I will definitely be staying here again!
We stayed in December 2021. The hotel room was beautiful and extremely spacious. We had a king room which also had a couch and it's own dresser with huge rv. The king bed also had its own huge tv on another dresser. The room had a fridge, microwave, and a bar sink with a Keurig and coffee station. The bathroom was also spacious and clean and very bright! I think there is also backlighting behind the big mirror. Overall, it was a great end to a very long road trip cross country. We didn't eat the breakfast available but we smelled bacon cooking at 5:45am when we woke up. We would definitely stay again.
Easy access to freeway. Enjoyed great breakfasts with good hot coffee! ... Staff very pleasant and a super breakfast room attendant whose name is Aquilla. Also, restaurants and /or fast-food eateries nearby.
Hotel was clean and seemed well maintained. Easy access to the freeway which can mean road noise. Staff very professional. It's not the Four Seasons but neither is the price. The breakfast was fine. It consisted of the normal selection of foods. Eggs, cereals, bagels, etc. It was NOT the limited selection of a continental breakfast. The only problem was that all the food was in a corner of the room so only one or two people could access it at a time. Bed squeaked a LOT. The bed was comfortable - fairly firm, which I like. Pillows were the usual hotel pillows which means unusable. Heater was very loud. Didn't notice road noise because of the heater. Bathroom and shower were fine.
Highly recommend this hotel. Great location right off the freeway, hotel grounds, lobby and rooms are very clean and spacious , and the staff are all super nice. We were checked in by Marissa and she was awesome. Very nicely decorated for the holidays as well. If you are in the area stay here you won't be disappointed.
Walking into this hotel for the first time was a surprise. The lobby was bright (even though it was at night) warm, comfortable and inviting. All the staff we came in contact with were friendly and accomodating. The hotel is fairly new and it appears staff are taking care to maintain a high level of cleanliness and freshness. Could have used another blanket and perhaps we will ask for one our next stay. A BIG PLUS is there is a Black Bear Diner across the road where we had a delightful meal.
I spent the night in Barstow because of the weather. At 4am I ended up going down to the front desk to see if I could extend my stay because of the continued bad weather on my trip. Danielle was on top of it. She extended my stay, was professional, courteous, and friendly. She is an asset to your hotel, and I wanted to recognized her as that.
We arrived in town at 11:00 am and were allowed to check in four hours early without an additional charge. The room was clean and nice, and we appreciated the Keurig coffee maker. The staff provided additional blankets promptly, and also towels for use with the pool and spa. We didn't partake of the breakfast as we have dietary restrictions, but it looked like typical breakfast food with fresh fruit, eggs, toast, waffles, juice and coffee. There was some commotion before midnight in an adjacent room, but things settled down and we got back to sleep. The beds were quite comfortable and we slept well, as the sound of traffic on the adjacent I-15 served as a kind of white noise. Would return here happily.
My family and I decided to stay at the Best Western Plus during the Thanksgiving Holiday. The employee there named Jammie provided excellent services assuring our room met our standards, was clean and that we had what we needed. I must say that Ms. Jammie went above and beyond for the travelers that stayed at the motel to assure they were satisfied and that they had a wonderful stay. We will definitely stay at the Best Western Plus again as hospitality like what Ms. Jammie provided is not always found while traveling.
We stayed her on way back home from Thanksgiving. First of all the sign on front doors coming in states California requires masks in public buildings. However NO ONE wore a mask including the front desk receptionist. When I asked him about the policy and the sign on the door he said “whatever you are comfortable with”. Well I am comfortable with staff keeping guests safe. This is the first National chain I have visited since the start of the pandemic that does not require staff to wear masks. Then we get to the room and their is a lot of hair on bathroom floor. Not feeling good about their cleaning protocol. Stayed at Home2Suites across I-15 on way to Utah and their rooms were much cleaner and their rooms had a fully stocked kitchen. Unfortunately they were sold out on our return trip and we chose BW because Trip Advisor reviews were so good. Will not stay at another Best Western!!!!!
What a nice place, Breana was friendly and helpful at check in. Then Blake offered us water bottles and was quick to assist breana. The rooms were great and clean. I slept great. In the morning we went for breakfast a nice lady, Aquila was cleaning and helping everyone she even made waffles for us. It was refreshing to see such an industrious staff it was five star treatment for a very reasonable price.
I worked 4 days in Barstow and enjoyed my recent stay. My check-in was fast and my room was clean and open. The TV is wonderful with good quality sound. The breakfast was a pleasant experience. Aquilla the attendant, helped walk me though the items and she refilled my coffee. That was unexpected and a delight. Next time I work in Barstow, I will be staying here.
This Best Western is fairly new and very clean. The lobby was inviting and the two young attendants were friendly and helpful, great atmosphere. The rooms were clean, hallways were clean. The breakfast was certainly a 5 star with Aquila's assistance. Everyone buzzing around and Aquila's bubbly attitude started the day off great. We've stayed at more expensive hotels in BArstow as we're traveling thru. We will always stay at this Best Western in the future.
This Best Western Plus in Barstow is new and well kept up. The front counter service was good and helpful. They recommended the Black Bear Inn for supper and it was close and excellent. We were able to get a room whih oversaw where our car was parked, as we requested. Aquilla, who manages the complimentary breakfast, was so hospitable and welcoming.
I want to say that Aquilla had made our hotel stay very special and pleasant. She took pride in her job and customer service. Excellent work Aquilla you are a true blessing to my family and I on our stay at Best Western!!!
I had a lovely time visiting family and friends and the Best Western + was a great place to stay for that. I will definitely recommend Best Western + to one and all so that they can also enjoy their experiences.
Close to Highway, but quiet enough to sleep. House keeping working COVID level schedules. Hotel staff friendly. Jacuzzi, gym, outdoor pool. Close to several diners, truck stops, gas, and Outlet Mall. The best part was the scratch made sausage biscuits and gravy made by Aquilla, the morning breakfast attendant. She is the best. I traveled alot for the government over the past 10 years, this is the best breakfast in a hotel stateside. Stop by and ask Aquilla to make you a wonderful waffle to start your day, and a warm smile.
Landing in Barstow for a week for a family event, we were glad for the recommendation we received to stay at this Best Western. It being the era of COVID, our interactions with staff were limited, but we always received what we needed, when it was needed. Hats off to the housekeeping staff for keeping us stocked with clean towels, and special mention to Aquilla, the breakfast queen, for going above and beyond with her attention to the food and the guests. Everything else here was in good order and comfortable. And the next time we are in Barstow? It's a good bet we'll be back here.
The hotel was clean and the staff was excellent! Comfortable beds, and we felt very safe! The highlight was the continental breakfast . Aquila was on top of everything! She made us our waffles, kept the food trays filled. Then she took our plates and cleaned the tables! Great job to everyone!
Hotel is newly decorated and exceptionally clean. Minimal staff (as with everywhere) and they are doing a great job. Breakfast staff was exceptional, very friendly lady happy to make you waffles! I would definitely recommend.
Good location just off the freeway. The rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. Check-in was painless and quick. Breakfast in the morning was decent, with hot items available in addition to the usual cereals and breads etc. Aquilla, the lady handling breakfast was very efficient, cheerful and hospitable. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Our stay was short, but very nice. Josie was very helpful and had great patience when I was making reservations and my phone kept losing service. She greeted us with a smile and treated us as friends. At breakfast we were greeted by Aquila who was a doll. She was so sweet and helpful. Breakfast had a large selection of items and was one of the best.
Really nice facility. Relatively new. Liked the décor. I had read in other reviews that there was a lot of noise from the highway, but I always wear ear plugs in a hotel, so I didn't notice any noise. Breakfast was quite tasty and Aquilla is the best. She offered to make a waffle for me and brought it over to where I was seated. She is super friendly and helpful. You can tell that she truly enjoys her job and does a great job making guests feel welcomed.
Aquila is amazing. Awesome hostess. Is an excellent representative for Best Western. The breakfast experience Is one that I will remember for a very long time. Her waffle making expertise is very much appreciated and enjoyed..
I had to stay here a week for work and the front desk people have been so friendly every time. The main reason I'm writing this review though is to give a big shout out to AQUILLA for the being the best hotel breakfast lady EVER. She is so cheery every morning and makes everyone in the room feel warmed by her bright personality and ever-ready waffles - to the point where I was telling my coworkers about "the awesome breakfast lady at Best Western". THANK YOU AQUILLA - keep being awesome! You really cheered me up on this trip away from my family.
This Best Western Plus in Barstow was a wonderful stay. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and courteous. Our room was extremely clean and very spacious and comfortable. The hot breakfast was good. We would definitely stay again!
This is a very good hotel, but I would like to focus on one special gal there, Aquilla who is the morning breakfast attendant and doubles at the front desk check out in the morning. She is the most attentive breakfast attendant I have encountered in my travels. She greets each customer, tells them what is available and where, and offers to make a waffle for you. Thanks you so much Aquilla.
Clean, quiet, comfortable, great free breakfast, terrific staff, spacious rooms. Thanks to Angel who was terrific at check-in and Aquilla who made our breakfast a delight. We will definitely visit again as we travel between Arizona and California.
2 staff people distinguished themselves. Angel who was working the registration desk was polite and cheerful, though obviously quite busy. Aquilla who handled the buffett breakfast was outstanding. She made every effort to see to it that my wife and I had all of our breakfast desires met in full. Her happy presentation got our day off to a great start. Kudos to Angel and to Aquilla.
Calm and well done. Breakfast person Aquilla is the best! She is the most attentive and conscientious person. She deserves a managerial role. That's all I need to say. TripAdvisor wants pre words to complete this review, but that's all I have to say or want to say.
Great location, restful Breakfast was great and Aquilla made it very special. Thank you, Aquilla ❤️ The front desk check in and check out were efficient and courteous with easy access to the elevator and room. We would definitely stay at this Best Western again.
The hotel was very clean. Our room was quiet. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was the best part, Aquila makes guests feel welcome and loved with her warm and fun spirit. We will definitely stay again!
Check in was easy and we had arrived after supper in town. The room was situated next to a side entrance/exit. The side door has no hydraulic assist and slammed loudly behind us The room was clean and set up specifically for physical accessibility. A nice touch if one needs it. The room was scented with a very strong perfume. We supposed the cleanser. As we settled in after opening a window, the side door announced loudly with every slam every guest coming and going. Eventually the door traffic died down and we drifted to sleep. Occasionally someone would step out for a smoke at various times during the night and we would be startled awake but thankfully not too many times. At 6am, the March to the breakfast bar opened and folks started the morning grabbing a smoke before a bite to eat. We know this because the door kept up a steady rhythm I informing us of their comings and goings. Breakfast was fine and the attendant very pleasant and friendly. Upon checkout, I informed the desk clerk about experience with the door. He said, “Oh.. yeah, we know”. And then immediately turned his attention to another guest who barged into our conversation to check out. When I stressed how unpleasant it was to be woken up by the slamming door, his reaction was to say nothing more than , “uh-huh” several times when I tried to Press my point. I might as well have been speaking to the air. I gave up as it was clear he wasn't interested in addressing my concerns so the next guest's experience wouldn't be ours. All in all, we won't be back.
Staff was very friendly. From those checking us in to the security (asked about our dog) to the housekeeping. Nice warm breakfast spread, with very friendly service from Aquilla, who was there interacting with guests and getting anything we needed including a tray. I'd stay here again! Now to begin our eastward trek of Route 66!
Great place to stay. Beds are are very comfortable. The rooms are very nice and big. Aquilla fixed a great breakfast and had awesome customer service. Location is great close to big bear restaurant, gas.
First of all I made a mistake on my reservation. When I arrived the front desk clerk help me get a new reservation with out any problems. The hotel is extremely clean and the rooms are exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast is served every morning and Aquilla, the person taking care of the food and drinks was very helpful. She had a smile most of the time and ready to assist you if you needed any help. I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is excellent and the breakfast was great Aquilla was the best and most outgoing employee she fixes a great breakfast should have the gravy daily give her a 5 star rating rooms were spacious with coffee and refrigerator and very clean. I would recommend this hotel but did not understand why they charge a 25:00 deposit I would do away with that and also pool and jacquzi should always be open unless it is non-avoidable. I felt room price was a little high but that's California.
The staff was helpful. Flora the maid was very good she keep the room clean. Towels were clean not smelly very fresh. The breakfast was very good for not being a restaurant. Little of everything you want. This was my second visit and I'm stay again. The beds very comfortable as well as the bathrooms.
Comfortable beds and a clean room, Our favorite breakfast of the week on our family vacation! Aquilla kept the eating area immaculate and cooked several of my kids waffles. There were many other people down for the breakfast at the same time. Aquilla was very attentive and quickly opened the boardroom for us to use. There were lots of choices and everyone found plenty to fill up on. Children also had fun in the pool in the evening. Plenty of towels by the pool to use.
We enjoyed a very pleasant night here while traveling to San Diego. The hotel is fairly new and clean, and the staff is efficient and welcoming. In particular Aquilla does an AMAZING job of taking care of breakfast. Even though the food offerings are somewhat limited due to Covid, she goes out of her way to help each person individually and makes sure everyone gets the best breakfast possible. We will definitely stay here again (and hope that she is on duty the days we are there).
Very nice clean hotel. Rooms were comfortable, bed was squeaky when getting into or out of. Internet service good. Aquila, who took care of the breakfast area did a fantastic job. Good interaction with the guests and very friendly
Aquilla was very nice and helpful. She worked so hard keeping the food area cleaned and helping guests with food. She was cooking waffles, they were delicious too, for all of the guests. She seems to enjoy her work and takes pride in what she does. She made breakfast experience perfect on our short visit.
Unexpected travel due to mandatory evacuation, (Caldor Fire). We had our 4 month old puppy, and were entirely stressed about finding appropriate lodging for our needs. Of the 2 hotels we stayed at, this was by far the stand out. Spacious, no carpet, (means no stress), and a convenient exit to an area for animal business. Aquila was such a pleasant breakfast hostess!
My family and I stayed at the Best Western for two nights over Labor Day weekend. The room was fine for my husband, myself, and our five year old. The hotel was very clean and tidy and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. I particularly enjoyed Josie at the front desk, she was extremely nice and a good problem solver. Aquilla was also great at taking care of the breakfast nook, offering to make waffles for everyone and serving up some great bacon and coffee. The only downside was that the pool was closed due to improper chlorine treatment, and we had specifically booked this hotel so we could utilize the pool with our daughter who is learning to swim. That put a bit of a damper on things but luckily we found an awesome public pool just a few miles away and utilized it. Overall it was a great experience and they have a great staff.
I was staying here for a work trip and had to have lots of early mornings. I swear the smell of the breakfast bar would greet me as soon as I walked out of my room and there was always a variety of hot breakfast dishes out like scrambled eggs, home fries, and sausages. Aquilla greeted me every time I was grabbing breakfast before I headed out to work and asked how the breakfast was. She is very considerate and a welcome greeting in the mornings. If I'm ever in the area again I'm definitely going to stay here again.
The staff was friendly and had great customer service. I enjoyed the wonderful breakfast Aquila made. She worked hard to make her customers happy! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!! I will stay here again!!!
Wonderful stay and great customer service. The front desk was welcoming and fast. The room was clean and just as it was advertised. Ms Aquilla's breakfast has been on point and she enjoys what she does. Thank you again!
Great hotel stay! Pro's -Friendly staff! -Accommadating housekeeping! -Safe hotel!!!!! -Great Breakfast! -Military friendly! -Clean rooms!! Con's -Weak water pressure in the shower. -Shaky elevator. Overall a great hotel in a secluded location, but a fantastic staff that accomadated our cleanliness standards that gave us a great stay. Pricing is very fair by comparison to anywhere else near Barstow. Thank you to the fantastic staff: Mrs. Sheila, Jammie, Josie, Espee, Claudia, Ana, and Breanna!!!
Very clean property with friendly and efficient staff. The manager, Donald, is very accommodating and friendly. Aquilla, the resident breakfast guru, is, well, wonderful! This is the perfect stopover. See you guys next year!
Aquilla and all the staff here are AWESOME. Very wonderful place to stay, there are other hotels but this is the only one I will stay at. Because the facilities and the staff are phenomenal. Wonderful breakfast in the mornings. 5 stars from me for sure.
Great service, clean rooms, great breakfast Aquilla Fredrick gave excellent service! Close and conveniently located near the freeway, new rooms with excellent amenities. Will definitely return in the future
I had travel problems and was unsure if I could arrive to keep my reservation. The front desk worked with me and reassured me that I would have a room waiting for me when I arrived. They made check in go smoothly when we arrived close to midnight and asked if there was anything more we needed. Aquila, who runs the breakfast area, provided good food and a wonderful smile. She went the extra mile for everyone and even offered a prayer to send us on our way after a really difficult trip plagued by car problems and made to comfort a dying friend. Her cheerful service was wonderful in a time of great stress.
We've stayed here several times. The hotel is nice, clean and conveniently located near the highway and outlet malls. It does have a noise problem - they hand out earplugs at the front desk. I want to recognize Aquilla who works in the breakfast area. She was great. Professional, friendly and so very helpful. A pleasure to meet. Also Danielle and Michelle (hotel staff) who solved the mystery of our missing reservation (made on the B/W website.) If they fix the noise problem, we will use this hotel each time we travel on I-15.
We were hungry hikers the morning we were leaving and Aquila and Espee were so helpful getting our breakfast together. Aquila even made me a waffle. Thank you for being a great host. We're very satisfied with our stay and definitely will stay again
Nice room, clean, tho it cost 30.00$ more than the website said. The breakfast manager, Aquila, was wonderful!! She served everyone with a smile and much kindness!! So now I find I must write two hundred characters for a review so I'm hoping this does it!
I want to recognize “Aquila” as an outstanding employee who greeted us and offered to make us a waffle for breakfast. She is delightful to converse with and one can see that she really enjoys her position. I will definitely stay here again at New Barstow
It was nice to stay a good clean hotel we were on our way back from vacation from the river and decided to stop and ride the quads. . It also helped that it was pet friendly since our Pit is our family she travels everywhere with us.
We went down for breakfast and as we we're getting our food we met a very nice & friendly lady who was working there. Her name was Aquila, she asked if we wanted any waffles and she made them for us while we sat down to eat. We had a nice conversation with her. Please give this hard working women a raise! Wish all places we stay had someone like her! DT
Aquilla, such an amazing lady!! I have lived in Japan for the past 20 something years and I've never been attended for so incredibly! I was feeling a little bit anxious because I had just arrived, but she made me feel so safe and welcome when I went down for breakfast, such sweet positive energy! Thank you for all the hospitality!
Aquilla was great very cheerful and helpful every morning. The rooms where clean and the location of this hotel is perfect. They keep the gym clean and well taken care of but the cardio equipment could use newer models.
First time staying at Best Western Plus. Front desk staff helpful finding a good place for dinner. Pool stays open till 10:00 pm which keeps you out of the hot sun during the day. Breakfast room is clean and inviting. Aquilla will make you a perfect waffle every time and she keeps the breakfast area upbeat with her seasonal decorative touches. We will stay at the BW Plus again for all of the above reasons and Barstow location is pet friendly.
This was a great hotel for us to stop at for a night as we travelled cross country. Clean, nice room and very pet friendly. Super friendly staff and Aquilla does a wonderful job taking care of the breakfast room. The pool area could use a little more attention for cleanliness, but the pool itself was really nice.
We have had a wonderful experience here and want to thank you. My husband had a very important test today and you have went out of your way to make sure he was taken care of thank you to Aquilla for setting up conference room for him. Not just that the front desk helped so much. Aquilla thank you. 3 days perfect Aquilla see you in morning . My husband stayed before a few weeks ago and again thank you Aquilla for such care and happiness. Much appreciated. The Robbs.
I have already passed on the information to friends and family on our excellent stay and that we will return because we travel between Colorado & California often. Our room was so clean and comfortable. Our experience with the breakfast provided was so unbelievably brilliant. Aquilla, "The Waffle Lady" was so kind and helpful and had a smile and a greeting that was so welcomed. Everything we needed was provided and if we needed extra, they were very accommodating. We won't need to be looking for another location during our travels through Barstow. Thank you again for your understanding of what a stay experience should be like.
BEST hotel I have ever stayed!! Clean, very friendly staff, especially Aquilla, and a great hot breakfast. If there were more stars to give them, I would. The front desk people were extremely helpful, and Aquilla was very friendly and helpful during the great breakfast she prepared.
The only drawback we saw to this hotel was a $30 pet fee which would have sent us elsewhere if we did not have a points coupon. Staff was great, nice breakfast, clean rooms. Room in the parking lot for our long pickup. Keurig in the room. Air conditioner worked well which is important in Barstow. Two year old hotel.
This was a fantastic place to stop for a rest while traveling. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The flooring in the room was not carpet which I greatly appreciated . The bathroom was spotless as well as the rest of the room. The beds were very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was nice and the breakfast server, Aqulila, was very kind and considerate. She met every need professionally and with a smile.
Beds very comfortable, air conditioner works EXTREMELY well, breakfast nicely apportioned and greeted very warmly by Aquila. Check in and check out were both very efficient. Liked the decor and especially the flooring in the rooms. Would recommend.
Excellent hotel for the price-point. Looks, smells & feels like a new hotel the room was comfortable & clean. Due to COVID you could fill out a breakfast request to have it bagged up for you in the morning, which was awesome. Friendly staff. Close to many dining options & McDonalds is in the Parking Lot. Despite being next to multiple Truck Stops & travel centers it was very quiet & slept great.
Natalie helped us at the front desk on the check-in and got us a great room on the first-floor room 102 it was perfect for us since I have a service dog and the door to outside was right by the room and the ice machine was right there also - great for filling out water bags for hiking - we liked the room so much and how helpful Natalie was - we decided to stay another night. Natalie is a great person and very helpful- she always has a smile on her face. What a great employee! Sicerly Ken
Best Western Plus Barstow Inn & Suites exceeded my expectations & I look forward to booking with them again in the future. The staff here were very friendly and helpful and made the whole trip go smoothly. A major plus to booking with them is that you are near many great food options and the best part is the Tanger Outlets is less then a 10 min drive away.
This hotel is brand new and very clean. However, the construction materials they used are extremely cheap, as we could hear snoring from the room next to us, every footstep from the room above us, and every click of doors unlocking around the hall outside. The service was fine, as was the free breakfast, but this is a thoroughly average place to stay despite its newness.
I booked and stayed this property at a Best Western Rewards Member Rate of $117, $133 after taxes. Let me focus on the positive attributes first. Check-in was fast and the front desk staff were very informative. All staff were friendly and genuinely came across as caring and helpful, which is a very big deal and what earned the property a third star. The second star was earned by the room and lobby cleanliness. Impeccable! That's quite rare for me me to say. My only complaint was of the stainless steel on hallway trash cans and elevator corridors that were not cleaned or polished. See photos. I did speak to staff about this so they could have the opportunity to address it. The rooms also had quality microwave, larger refrigerators, and Keurig coffee makers. My problems with the property are mostly policy and and I believe remodeling issues. I found the rooms feeling cold, dark and depressing even with all lights turned on and window shades up. The only light that lit up way too much was the automatic bathroom light that came on every time you entered the bathroom which in the middle of the bathroom break was super annoying and wakeful. I was in room 319 facing the highway and the noise from the traffic was terrible. They really need a more sound proof window on the highway facing rooms. My bathtub did not drain adequately, my personal pet peeve. The room trash cabs had no liners. My room rate was to include a hot breakfast. I got a cold bagged breakfast and a Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich to heat up in the room microwave. It's appalling that I can go sit down in any major restaurant now and the hotel is still not re-started their hot breakfast. The water pressure in the shower simply sucks. They moved to wall mounted shampoo, conditioner, body wash pumps in the showers. Mine had no body wash, the conditioner pump was broken and the shampoo took 5 pumps to get a quarter size amount. Junk! The room and hallways also have lots of post remodel paint and plaster over spray. Needs a detail crew to address these issues. Also the broken ice machine on 3rd floor was annoying. Had to go to first floor for ice. So I will not stay here again any time soon and not before these issues are addressed. I hate to say it as a BW Rewards Member but this “Plus” property is giving the Best Western brand a bad name. For the price I could have stayed at better properties.
I am thoroghly impressed with the qualtiy of the staff, facility, rooms, and amenities. The rooms have very comfortable beds and pillows within a large space that also includes a good work desk and lounge chair. The staff are always friendly and will assist with special requests. The hotel's complimentary wi-fi is quite fast with uploads/downloads. The 'grab and go' breakfast is a definite plus as you can choose from a menu of items, including a sandwich to heat in the microwave, and can be ready for pick-up between 6 and 9 am or dropped-off at your room.
Flying in to Las Vegas on a National Park tour with the first stop Joshua's Tree we stayed here for the night. Easy access, restaurants nearby and a nice place to stay for the night. Room was nice and we got a breakfast form to fill out with a nice selection - they were waiting for us in the AM.
Great waystation on the return trip to San Diego from Flagstaff. Modern hotel with nice amenities and super staff. Very helpful employees. Great location with easy freeway access. Hotel has pool and Jacuzzi plus fitness center, too. Daniel Smiechowski
Needed a one night stop over while heading from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, and this place fit the bill. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean. And they did the best with breakfast as possible with all the COVID concerns.
The Best Western Plus is quite new and was a good stay. The room was clean, the staff great, and the bed very comfortable. The property is noisy due to the nearness of I-15, try to get a room on the far side of the building to avoid he noise. I would recommend the motel though a tad on the expensive side but it is a Best Western Plus.
We stayed 3 nights during our visit with family in the area. The hotel property is nice and well kept. The room was spacious and relatively quite. There was a decent selection for a hot breakfast even during these times with covid. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice and maintained well. There are plenty of restaurant options near by which is also convenient.
Very nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Nicely lit parking lot made us feel safe. But the very best part of the stay was the great customer service by Brian at the front desk. I had made a mistake with my reservation, but he resolved it quickly and professionally. I know good customer service because I used to work in hotels myself. He also helped me make reservations for my next night. He was polite, very professional, and friendly. I am usually too lazy to write these reviews. His service was worth it to me.
We were in Death Valley over the hottest weekend and came out a day early so we could still play in the desert. We found the BW Plus at a good rate. We checked in and went straigt to the pool which was cool and refresing. The facilty is new and the employees very friendly and helpful. The location is great for a wide varity of resturants! We appreciated the ability to pick our Breakfast from a menu and they created it for us! I would stay here again, no problem.
We were here visiting family while passing through. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.Rooms were clean and comfy. During covid a lot of hotels have went to a grab and go breakfast. Most are a peice of fruit or granola bar. Not here! We had a choice between 3 hot breakfast sandwich/burritos, choice of a muffin/pastry, fruits, boiled eggs, yogurts, juices and more. It was very tasty and filling. We will book a room here every time we come through!! 10 out of 10 for us!!
John made us feel as if we were the most important people in the world. John's service was more then just the routine you get at other hotels. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy with the accommodations. The room was very clean and stayed a cool 68 degrees for me. Will be using this hotel every time we are in Barstow.
If you're checking in hopefully you'll have the pleasure of meeting John Hatch.... He is friendly and knowledgeable, he also goes above and beyond to ensure that the hotel guests are happy. Recently my husband stayed there on business, unfortunately he is a smoker of pipe tobacco. Anyone who has ever been around a pipe tobacco smoker knows that it is much stronger than cigarette tobacco. Due to a lingering odor he was charged a fee for cleaning. John Hatch was quick to find the charge and within 15 minutes the charge was reversed. So if you're ever in the Barstow area the Best Western commerce parkway is the hotel to stay at.
Stayed here while traveling through that area, was right off the interstate and incredibly convenient. Fast and efficient check in, room was spotless and inviting. Beds were awesome. Cleanest room I think I've ever stayed in, wish the housekeeping staff could come to my apartment for a day. Pool and spa were an awesome surprise, I took advantage of them. Breakfast was ready in the COVID-cautious to-go bags when I rolled out in the morning. Everything about this property is exactly what I want in a hotel. Quick, simple, CLEAN & safe. It looks like a new location too, updated and fresh. The pantry by the front desk was helpful too. I didn't even need to stop at the gas station for snacks on my way back to the interstate. I'd be thrilled to stay here again if I come back through the same way. Thank y'all for a restful and satisfying night on the road!
Stayed at this best western for a business trip and everything about this place was extremely pleasant. Front desk was kind, efficient and very helpful. I had no problems with my stay. COVID limited the breakfast but they still offered grab and go bags, and the coffee was delicious! The prices were fair considering how nice the rooms are. Would definitely go back if given a chance! Ask Jon where his favorite place to eat is. He won't steer you wrong.
First time traveling with a cat, and we couldn't be happier that Best Western is pet friendly! We've consistently had good experiences, but never needed to think about a pet. Very welcoming and close proximity to our Grand Canyon destination! Very impressed with the indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzi. Clean and beautiful!
Never ever stay at the ramada inn located in barstow California, bad service, over change for your stay, horrible beds. The best western plus was like heaven, very clean check in was no problem the internet was perfect. I will be coming back to stay many more nights
Once again no words can describe how pleasant our stay was at BW. When we return to America the only motels we plan on staying at is BW. Great staff, great facilities and great service, but more importantly great value.
Hard floors make for cleanliness. There was an extra sink, available and adequate number of outlets. The lighting was adequate except for reading in bed. The room was large, included a tv channel guide, a foot switch on the floor lamp, a user friendly clock. There were great towels, a good bath mat, a non-slip tub, a good desk chair, and easy chair with ottoman, four pillows, a very firm bed, a helpful information card. The bathroom had great lighting around the mirror. There was ample parking, efficient check in and a pleasant breakfast attendant. I would have appreciate two suitcase holders and another towel rack. It must be standard for garbage trucks to bang loudly about 6:00 AM. The road noise would be hard on some people with loud trucks and noise pavement. The breakfast was not what I would expect in a Best Western Plus. Still, I think five stars are appropriate.
This may be the cleanest motel I have ever stayed in. Non-carpet floors; extra sink; available and adequate outlets; large room; a printed TV channel guide; foot switch on floor lamp; user friendly readable clock; show cleaning cloth; great towels; excellent bathroom mirror lighting; good bath mat; non-slip tub; easy chair with ottoman; four pillows; helpful information card; extra pleasant breakfast attendant. There is obtrusive road noise; the standard early morning garbage truck banging; breakfast not quite what one would expect at a Best Western Plus. If my travel schedule puts me near here, I will stay here.
New territory for us, arrived in a wind and dust storm. Inside the hotel, you wouldn't know. Excellent help from the staff, as our reservation made through the Best Western site the night before went through the system for that night, not the one we wanted. They were able to fix us up with a room, and sort out the default charges. The room itself was quite comfortable, and the amenities that were available, along with the access to shopping and transportation routes make this a good choice for travellers through the area.
This was a very convinient placed hotel around halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Nice spacious rooms and very quiet. The breakfast was a standard american hotel breakfast. Free parking is always a plus. The room was very clean and the staff polite. We will come here again for sure.
Great location for us as we traveled for a day visit to Joshua Tree National Park and needed to also be close to the Interstate for easy travel to Las Vegas airport for a flight home. The staff were exceptional in the service that they provided during both check in and check out.. The overall quality of our accommodations at this new hotel for two nights was very good with some minor issues (bathroom towel rack in our room was not properly attached, water pressure for the shower was low and TV remote did not have a connection that would display a guide for channel programs). Being that we are committed to staying at Best Wester facilities, I have confidence that these minor issues will be addressed as the hotel continues to operate. My wife and I would certainly stay at this Best Western again if we vacation back to this area again.
While I didn't see this particular Best Western on their site (it tried to send me to another one), I passed the sign & promptly turned around at the next exit. So glad I did. The staff was very nice, got me a room, & a list of restaurants with discounts. They were also working with a group of 4 men on a business trip at the same time & were able to pull it all off. (Upgraded them to suites.) Anyhow, walked in the room & was wowed. Thought I was getting a regular hotel room. Nope. a 2 room room with a "living" area in the front & the bed area in the back. 2 tvs, the sofa was comfy, the pillows were wonderful. If I get back to the area, I'm staying here!
The front desk staff was not aware that there was a group of homeless "housing" in a gully just about 150 yards from the hotel. The hotel has no night security guard. We were advised to park in the front of the hotel with the other guests. There was lighting in that area but we were not comfortable about this. We advised the front desk they should tell the property owner about the homeless encampment. We could see by their reaction not going to happen. Otherwise the hotel was good but still had to overcome being so new. Rooms are next to I-15 and could be heard on the quiet side - west.
While the hotel is nice and new, and the staff is terrific, the constant highway noise is absolutely terrible. I want to especially thank the very nice lady who manages the breakfast buffet. She welcomes each and every guest with her absolutely charming personality. I hope the hotel management appreciates her contribution toward the success of the hotel. I-15 immediately adjacent has an exit ramp, a hill, and a steady stream of tractor trailer trucks shifting gears up, shifting gears down, and using their 'jake' brakes all night long. Unless you wear ear plugs, you won't get much sleep. However, you should never wear ear plugs in a hotel because you may not be able to hear a fire alarm in a timely manner. Next visit we will return to the older downtown motels that, while tired, are not adjacent to the Interstate truck traffic.
We stayed for one night on our way from Death Valley to Joshua Tree. Nice new facilities and very clean, the best in the area. The staff were also very helpful, from the front desk to reception. Would highly recommend.
Clean, relaxing, and staff very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable, the dining area was small but very clean and they had a lady willing to make the waffles for you, made sure coffee was fresh.
The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Made the best of the situation. Only downside to this property is that it is not well insulated from the sounds of the busy interstate. They moved us to a room farthest away and it helped. Rooms are contemporary, clean and comfortable. The staff make this place work.
New property opened June 2019, so it was on our way home from a trip back East. The motel is located adjacent to I-15 a few miles from downtown Barstow. There are several fast food restaurants within walking distance, as well as several gas stations nearby. There is a lot of parking surrounding this property so that should not be a worry. Property exterior area appeared well maintained, clean and secure. Check-in was fast, courteous, and professional. Interior lobby and breakfast area was also very clean and orderly. Due to our schedule we were unable to make use of the hot tub or pool so cannot comment. This property has four floors accessed by stairs or elevators. Hallways and common areas were clean and orderly. Room was all hardwood floors, very clean and quiet, despite being adjacent to I-15 (with windows closed we heard no traffic noise). Recommend rooms facing away from Freeway as ours was to ensure minimal noises. Room and bathrooms were well appointed, clean, and well lit. Wi fi worked very well (we were on third floor) and consistent. Everything in room worked and was in good order, very comfortable. Bed and pillows were equally comfortable and clean. Plenty of towels in room, shower had plenty of hot water and pressure, which was welcome. As we had to leave very early to head home we were unable to partake of the provided free breakfast, so cannot comment. Check out was also very fast and professional. We would stay here again without hestitation if in the area again, and would recommend this stellar property.
From the man that checked us in to the man working breakfast they were helpful and professional the rooms were great close to variety of places to eat ,parking for big trucks .wifi worked great, breakfast was good .
Was so friendly and quick to be helpful! Clean accommodations and over all a wonderful experience! Would recommend someone to stay here. Comfortable beds and fresh breakfast, not noisy and overall and impressive stay
We knew we would have a late start on our road trip, so reserved a room at this new hotel in Barstow. When we checked in, the person at the desk said they were sold out and the only room was 110 - right next to the breakfast room and elevator. It was a little off-putting since we made a reservation a couple of weeks prior. When we asked about noise, he said no one ever complained...well, it was noisy. It would've been better to just be open and acknowledge the location wasn't optimal. That being said, the room was neat and clean. The staff at breakfast were helpful and friendly. It is nice to have a new hotel in this area as a good option.
A brand new hotel in Bristol CA. It was a pleasant surprise to us. Everything was sparking and working. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We well definitely staff there on our next trip through this part of CA.
Everything about the hotel is great ! Good location, competitive price, staff was friendly and helpful, the whole place was very clean, bed was comfortable, darkening window shade was a pleasant surprise, laminate flooring in the guest room was especially nice rather than carpeting, good restaurant recommendations, and the hot tub was amazing at night under the moon. Would definitely stay here again!
This Best Western Plus was very welcoming. The suite was lovely and the staff very helpful. The grounds of the Hotel are still being designed as this is a new property but we are sure it will be extremely nice once completed.
On our way from Wlliams, AZ to Morro Bay, CA, we needed a halfway point to spend the night. In looking at TripAdvisor I found the brand new Best Western Plus on Commerce Parkway. As we've stopped in the past for food at this area we've decided on staying here. Check in was a breeze and the reception was pleasent. The rate was reasonable for the area. The room was clean and spacious, The bathroom was small but EXTREMELY well lit, almost too well lit. Wandering into the bathroom in the middle of the night from a dark room and having those lights blind you is a bit startling. But needless to say, very effective. One thing to note, the Inn is right off I-15, which is busy 24 hours a day. The windows effectively muffle the vehicle noise well, but it's still there. It didn't bother us, but something to think about if you're a light sleeper. So why, if I could, would I dock half a point from the review? The site offers a hot breakfast, but only until 9 am. I've stayed at many sites that offer a wide range of "complimentary" breakfasts but have never experience any, including Best Westerns, that didn't offer it until at least 10 am. We were heading down, ready to leave at 9 am and found everything already put away. It's not a big deal as there are other options in the area, including a drive-thru McDonalds in the same parking lot, but it is a bit irritaing to be penalized for choosing not to rush down right at the moment we woke up. And yes, the times are posted so I guess we have ourselves to blame. But really, ending your "complimentary" breakfast that early is just wrong. Because of this one point I did toy with dropping it to a '4' rating, but everything else at the Inn was good so I felt docking a full point would be too much. Just be aware if you are the type to want a "complimentary" breakfast from your choice of hotels, this one ends way too early for those of us who like to wake up in a leisurely manner.
Greg at the front desk is a wonderful young man, super friendly & knowledgeable at his job. Was delightfully surprised upon entering my room. I LOVE that there isn't carpet, all hardwood flooring except the bathroom. Bed's are so comfortable & the decorations are simple but very tasteful. Room was super clean & had everything I needed for a one night stay. Will definitely stay here any time I am in the area!
This is a brand new motel and their handicapped rooms with roll in showers are beautiful. The decor is lovely and they didn't leave anything out for comfort. The shower is easy to roll into and the controls are within easy reach. There is tile throughout to make it easy to get around. Good job Best Western!
Friendly staff. Clean and nicely appointed rooms. Very affordable for services provided. Good hot breakfast. Ease of parking close to front door. Also close to Black Bear Diner which has super food at very reasonable prices and hotel provided a chit for free desert at the Black Bear Diner.
When looking for a hotel in Bastow California look no further pleasant staff multuple different locations for food and gas near by new building with an elevator great place to get some rest after a long day a little noise from the freeway ut it is manageable
Just a one night stay and an excellent experience! The hotel is quite new (4 weeks old) so everything is up to date and new. Pool, spa, quiet rooms. Used the treadmill in the new gym. Breakfast was pretty darn good, too. Just hit the spot. All the staff were so friendly, the whole time. Great hotel!
Great place to stay new motel and quiet to if you want a nice plase to stay look no farther easy on and of to freeway and Black bear dinner across the street .also had black out shades for early night big plus beds very nice and a tall shower so you could stand there under the shower head
This hotel is brand new, and everything was so fresh and clean. The room was a very size and our family had plenty of space. There were 2 tvs, and french doors that separated the area with the sofabed from the area with the king size bed. So it really felt like we had 2 adjoining rooms.
