Best Western Hotel du Lac Dunkerque

On arriving we were a bit worried as the outside looked very dated . But inside was very clean bright and modern . Lots of spaces to sit down in the open areas . Staff friendly and a couple good with English speaking . The grounds are very pretty with a big page to walk round . List of ducks and fishing . Beautiful sun rise . Rooms were very small but compact with everything you needed . Lovely Cindy beds . Extra pillows . Lovely bathroom with a bath and shower . Towels tea coffee etc . U don't get much coffee so may be check and get more pods . Dinner was ok . Nothing flashy but enough choices to see you through . The only downside for me at least is I can't eat gluten and don't eat meat and breakfast was all bread cakes cereal back. And sausage . Not great . So don't be excited . I would 100% go back as the location is perfect .

On arrival the hotelooked great the entrance tidy the lobby very was neat and tidy. As soon as we arrived we saw Children jumping out of windows then climbing back through it every few minutes. Making a noise so we asked for another room where we could rest. They accommodated us and moved us to a different room once which had no Internet though on the upside the room had nice views overlooing the back of the hotels lake.

The room was big,clean had everything we need. The bath was clean good shower and also big bed one each, were really comfortable did not what to get out of it. Good parking which was free the experience was good and area quiet if I was going back it would be there.

A one night stop before taking the ferry to Dover. Great choice with our family of four and our dog. we had dinner at the restaurant which was good and priced decently. The staff was very very friendly. The location at the small lake allowed for walking our dog easily. I would recommend the hotel any day.

We stayed here on our way to Belgium. After a late Chunnel crossing it was a fab nights rest & a lovely way to start our May break :)

We stopped here on our return from Germany and was pleased with our choice. I had seen some good reviews and some not so good. Well from our experience I can only say it was great , welcome on reception, tick, rooms tick, beds and sleep , tick, restaurant tick , waiting staff , tick , parking tick I think that sums up my review - brill , thanks BW Du Lac

This is my third time staying here and I enjoy it every time the walk around the lake is always a winner for me. Clean rooms great food and very friendly staff. Look forward to seeing you all again in the near future.

The hotel has a great location, is really quiet but yet only just off the motorway. I stayed overnight to break up my journey from the UK to Germany. The room is small but comfortable and I slept really well. Breakfast is good. Would definitely use this hotel again when travelling through Calais or Dunkirk.

We spent the night here- advertised as a tourist hotel, as its close to get the ferry. I'm a vegatairn- sadly they do not seem to cater for this, finre if you eat steak or fancier food- I dsont and ended up eating left overs in my camper van- most disappointing. The beds were satisfactory, as were the faclities, though th room was old and small. If it rains (as it did when wee were there) the cills to the windows hav ea metal capping- which echos like a drum- I didnt sleep, so at 3.30am went and slept in my camper. Had I know it was gonig to be this poor, I would have rather stayed in Germany which has much better facilites. The management did seem to take my issuess seriously, thoug hto date have not done anything about them. It seems I will not stay in a B/W again, the quality, for what we paid was way to poor.

The hotel pictures are very select, and do not represent the bunkeresque features of the front of the hotel. Very grey and concrete and in need of a spruce up. We booked the lake view room, and my word was it hot. There is no AC and no fans available, luckily reception managed to borrow one from the military team who were bunking here The restaurant food was pretty dire, the steaks were cooked well, but with no seasoning and sauce. It was accompanied by a potato stick. I don't know what it was. The bowl for the salad was badly chipped and cracked. The good points were the Staff, very helpful and managed to make the stay bearable at least. Thank you. Come on Best Western, you can do better. Get some fans for the rooms. We are getting hot summers now!! And sort out the food menu.

This was a lovely, quiet, well maintained place to stay for one night after a late ferry to Calais. Comfortable (if small) room, clean, decent breakfast, friendly staff. And it was lovely to be on the lake for an early morning walk.

A lovely hotel in an idyllic location. Close to the motorway but far away enough not to hear it. The rooms at the back have a view of the lake, the front overlook the car park. Attentive staff who will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. My only criticism is that the rooms could do with updating. Other than that fab.

Lovely hotel on the perimeter of a lake just outside Dunkirk. Nice feeling, nice and clean and very friendly. The rooms are quite small but clean and the bed was comfortable. The real gem is the restaurant, lovely choice and all our choices well well cooked with a nice choice of rose wines. 80€ for 2. Wi-Fi didn't work for us, but BBC on TV. Really nice continental breakfast with a lot choice.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the staff extremely attentive and welcoming from the arrival to my departure, the rooms were cleaned every day and the food was excellent with plenty of choices available.

Location is not the best and exterior of the building needs to be improved but overall good experience @ the hotel - staff very friendly & helpful - Could improve somethings - Wifi coverage - TV in bar area working - Bar food would be a god option.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Hotel du Lac Dunkerque. The hotel was in a lovely location, clean and the breakfast was well sufficient. In addition, a tricky situation with the accommodation was resolved efficiently, despite the hotel having been fully booked at the time. The receptionists were all very helpful and professional. The hotel is a great stopover when travelling from the UK to Europe.

After a long day of traveling, my wife and mother in law would arrive at the hotel past the time when the restaurant would be open. I called the hotel and asked if they could arrange some food for my wife. They were wonderful. They prepared meals for them and they were waiting for them on their arrival.
