Best Western Plus Addis Ababa

My two weeks stay was great in the hotel. The restaurant is one the best in the area and I enjoyed the delicious cuisines from chef Andualem, Many thanks to the friendly, hardworking and charming staff, Bravo! Muluken, Belsty, Meron and Yihun who served me during my stay. Can't forget the last day surprise!! thanks!! The welcoming nature of the staff in the hotel way from the receptionist to the gracious hosts was top-notch and made me feel stay at home, no wonder their restaurant has an inscription of the word 'home'. I highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is at another level. I was impressed. Thanks to the staff. Hellen was very helpful. It has a gym that operates 24/7. Housekeeping is okay daily basis. The hotel is a walking distance to other amenities - supermarket. Hourly drop off to the airport is a game changer. I recommend the facility

Very good service from Andinet , great sportsbar ! I really love also the breakfast and nice location. Close to the airport. Good cocktails. The diner included Ethiopian meals which were also excellent. The room clearing was on time and neat.

Best Wester is the best place in Eithopean to go to when on vacation or business. The people by name in resep :,Tamirat,Beza, and people of security:Hile, Esays, Waitress, Navdos That treat me like a family. I love this place, i love this hotel, i love people of Eithopean Paul people I've been in a city and everything is good.

The hotel Services were superb, excellent and very professional . It was annual conference meeting and we utilized both conference facilities and accommodation. The support system from arrival airport transfers on time at the reception registration well organized . Meetings ICT support meals logistics on time . The sales team it was not about closing of the business deal but ensuring customer satisfaction through out the meeting. I will HIGHLY recommend the use of The Best Western Plus Addis Ababa for both Business and Private Use!!! Go Team!

Avoid unless you wish to be treated as a criminal. Told strongly I could not leave as I had no proof of payment.(Friend had booked and paid on B.com) This was at 4pm when collecting a bag .their own check out staff at. 0930 that day had told me nothing to pay . Told they could find any if our bookings on their systems.. Told all their Expedia/bookings.com bookings were ALL pay on departure...UNTRUE.

I and my family had an amazing time here at best Western plus. The whole crew was fantastic. Top notch customer service, I would say. Probably one of the best in Addis. I am a regular customer here. Cleanliness and the service are great! Staff makes you feel right at home. :) But my favorite is to visit the spa for a massage. Living in Ethiopia it is really difficult to find a good masseuse because you easily end up hurt. So after I found that Best western provides with great spa service I was very happy. Lady working there, named Sara, does a great job! And whenever I visit Addis I make sure to book myself for a good Swedish massage. Can definitely recommend.

The rooms and linen were super clean. The food was fantastic! The staff were very warm and welcoming. Great service from all especially Tensae and Kidist who were at reception. Thank you. I look forward to coming back again hopefully soon!!!

I have stayed at the Best Western Plus hotel many times since 2020, during regular trips to Ethiopia. Besides the location and facilities, the greatest asset of this hotel is the staff. They are welcoming, professional and client oriented - eager to fulfill a request if I happen to have one. Meron, always welcoming at breakfast, reminded me to finally write this review!

I really enjoyed my stay at Best western Plus in Addis Ababa. I liked the accomodation and food and really enjoyed the customer service especially how friendly and helpful Beza and Kidist were. The rooms were also very clean. I would definitely recommend.

We me and my husband recently dined at the restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by both the exquisite cuisine and the impeccable service. The menu showcased a variety of innovative dishes, blending bold flavors and beautiful presentation. The attentive and knowledgeable staff specially Waiter (Yeabsira) ensured that our meal was a memorable one, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our satisfaction.

Great rooms and attentive service. Food takes long sometimes but staff excellent. Sometimes not everything is on the menu and better communication around this would be good. But the food was generally great. Dagimawi & Meron' y were exceptional in their service to our table. Thanks!

Really great hotel with the best staff. Sara, Beza and Tamerat are the sweetest. Super confortable and clean bed, nice AC and great restaurant/ bar on the first floor. Also super well located on a street with cafes, other hotels and bars. The only suggestion for improvement would be having a bigger shower door to avoid wetting the bathroom although the shower is really great.

Tamirat and Rahel, Alem, and the entire breakfast staff was amazing.This service at this hotel can't be explained, was very amazing. Please consider Best western Plus for your stay when coming to Addis Ababa. Never had better service than this hotel.

Very solid hotel with super staff. Very clean, the gym is perfect and open 24 hours. The buffet breakfast is excellent and they make the best omellettes and lattes. Highly recommended! General manager was warm and chatty and some of the staff like Beza, Tensae and Tamrat were outstanding. Good location with some solid restaurants around.

I was on vacation in Addis and was invited to the best Western on a Sunday night for live music by the hotel management team. When I arrived in the lobby I was greeted by the managers ,Ashenafi and Asmaraw, They addressed me by sr name and made me feel important. Everyone was looking at me; like who is this guy! They brought over two bottles of wine and asked if there's anything we can do for you. They made sure that we received the best service. I was so satisfied that I returned the next day for drinks; and received even more great service from the bartenders. Hebtamu, Mekides and Mebrathom. They made the drinks just the way I liked them. I appreciate the high level of service provided by the management and staff. I will be proud to recommend this hotel as a must in Addis Ethiopia.

I used the bar in the first floor and Elbethel, Epherem was really kind and their service was amazing. They really make my days!!! : ) Looking forward to visit this place again. Bar food was amazing also So, all my crew members were happy to stay here too!!

Was very nice. I am satisfied with all the accomodatons, meals. Cleanness etc. Actually it was only for two days but, very good. All employees were humbke. All orders were ontime. The hall was well organiced for workshops too.the two wide screens were good for presentation

Everything was perfect. Very professional staff, smiling and responsive to the slightest request whatever the time (especially Teddy and Rahel) Exemplary cleanliness and hygiene. Very decent food. 24 hour security. Highly recommended.

This is my second stay here at Best Western Plus and I have to say this is me and my partner's favorite hotel. The service is amazing! The hotel rooms are pretty decent size. I recommend staying in the king rooms or suite. During our last stay we stayed in a king room and had lots of room and the bathroom was a good size. We did a double this time around and not as much room. Also if you do not want the constant sound of music from outside I suggest to not get a room facing the street. This hotel has a decent gym where I was able to do weight lifting and use the treadmill. The gym was clean and had free towels. I suggest getting a massage! I had the hot stone massage and I have to say from someone who gets massages often this was one of my top massages I have ever had. The food is good as well. There's a buffet style on the 1st floor and a bar/restaurant on the ground floor. The morning buffet runs about $20 USD per person which is kind of pricey but the service here is great. Shot out to Birtukan, Meron, Metiku, Tsdna, Adna, and Gentahun for your attentiveness and kindness. If you have sometime and want to explore the city check out the Travel Agency on the ground floor. They have nice day tours etc! A one off tip the hotel does offer late check out at 12 pm for free and extended check out at I believe 6 pm but you must pay for this (equals about half of your one day room rate) Finally the front desk were also offered great service and I must say the manager Fikiru is very kind and manages a great staff.

My husband and I loved our stay at BWP. Start with the reception, they were humble.. The room, it was so cozy & comfortable.. The dinner & breakfast, oh so delicious and tasty. We loved every bite ❤️❤️

Last July, I traveled to Addis for work and spent seven weeks at the Best western plus hotel in Addis. Being away from home for extended periods can be abit stressful but what really made a difference was the incredible staff at the hotel. Starting with Hiwot, who was the first person to check how I was settling in and just ensuring that everything was okay….and Meskerem, who got my coffee order from that first breakfast and never forgot…also mentioning Rahel and Sara at the reception, also Tizita and Seble, Ephraim, Habetamu at the bar. They really became family. A real credit to the hotel.

I recently had a wonderful stay at Best western Hotel in Addis. The room are very clean and tidy and excellent value for the rates they charge. and the breakfast spread was delicious. I highly recommend BW Hotel for a memorable experience in Ethiopia. The restaurant at the Best western plus is so accommodative and unique, the service was home away from home especially with 2 very recognized staff through the week. Birtukan and Meskerm who makes you feel at home by their services. Coming from west Africa, this is a good class of service and not just about the food.

If you lower your expectation and don't expect the same 4 star experience as you would get from any other decent country, this is not a bad hotel. The bed rooms are clean but small and tired. Some staff are good and some others have no idea that they they were working in a customer service environment and decency is the requirement of the job. Rahel and her colleague who worked on the desk on the day I checked in were super polite, very professional and provided me and my family with the best advice on how to go about in the chaotic Addis. We were particularly impressed by one of the bar staff by the name of Yeabsira , he was very attentive, polite and he went out of his way to accomodate our requests. it Is a decent hotel but could be better.

I stayed there for 20 days and within the first 3 I had had enough. I just couldn't be bothered to relocate. what with the fuss of packing and unpacking an all. The Good 1- Restaurant is by far the highest point. I had to send some meals back a couple of times though. I told them and got them remade. 2. Cleaning ladies are thorough and helpful. They are discrete as well or at least try to be. 3. Lobby coffeehouse where you can watch football mostly premier league on a big screen. The Bad 1- The hotel is located on one of the liveliest street in Addis and by liveliest I mean noisiest. Expect loud music none stop till 10-11pm. Unbearable during weekends. You won't just be able to sleep. 2- Front desk staff have all the fancy title of managers but are so incompetent you won't get so much as you current bill over the phone. And they all seem to have phone anxiety because they tend to hang up on you in the middle of the conversation. And since there is no extension list in the rooms you will have to rely on them for all connections. 3. Expect to be startled out of bed by very late /early calls from Front desk checking whether you will check out. You don't answer? then a security guard will come knocking at your door. I would suggest to put the security locks on. The average 1. Room size. it reminded me of my 40ft shipping-container-turned -into-studio of my school days. Can hardly go around without bumping into sth but it is definitely proper for a person/couple. 2. Staff: smiley and eager to do good but I got the impression they overlooked the rest. Well a smile won't replace a good service. 3. Street-view rooms have a small balcon which is amazing. Only problem is sliding doors aren't double-glazed. Expect temperature to rise up to 30-32c degree between 11am-14pm. 4. Spa and Health center: Possibly there so the hotel can say they have one. To conclude I wouldn't recommend it. You will be paying top dollar for substandard offering.

We held a week long event at the BW. I can't say enough positive things about the service and hospitality. They so a great job of making you feel welcomed. From the event coordinator to the staff. Best western makes you feel at home while traveling. There attention to detail is great. The food was great as well! Blen the event coordinator was great! She answered our questions and responded to requests promptly. She invited us to an african savannah night to try amazing food and participate in a coffee ceremony. She took much time to share and answer questions about culture and food and history. Zekarias the IT staff for our event was amazing. I've done many workshops and never had an IT person so attentive. Mihret the waiter in the downstairs bar remembered my name from day one and really was a bright spot at the end of our long work days. He always asked how I was doing made me feel very welcomed. Overall, it was a great stay at BW. The hospitality of the staff and their responsiveness was the best. I hope to come back to Ethiopia and stay with them again.

The service at Best Western Plus was excellent. The location is very central and close to most to go places in Bole. Everyone at the hotel was great specially the bar man Dave who recommended me to stay there and provided excellent service during my stay.

Had the most peaceful sleep in their comfortable beds. The staff are totally amazing starting from the reservation manager Ruth, to the the front office staff and restaurant staff. Quality food. Only few minutes from the airport with a free shuttle and friendly and professional drivers. Keep up the good service and will return again soon.

We came from Frankfurt, Germany and we are thrilled with the service. We were picked up from the airport without any problems and the staff was always helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is very diverse and special requests are accepted without problems.Bar has a nice atmosphere and the live music is good As our stay was relatively long (4 weeks), we got to know the hotel and the staff very well. The hotel is clean and nicely furnished, and the wellness and fitness area is well equipped. At the end of our stay we even got a farewell cake.

The service is just amazing. The waitress are very good specially Melka was very good. The location is accessible to anyone. I recommend this hotel because it is also family frirndly. Their food is nice and enjoyed their live band.

My favorite aspect of my stay at Best Western Plus Addis is the staff. I would like to recognize Chala for his excellent customer service. He was accommodating, patient, and kind. I have stayed at other Best Western hotels in the U.S., and this is by far the best experience I have had. They have the best customer service. We stayed here on three separate occasions this month as I traveled from the U.S. to visit family. Thank you, everyone, for your hospitality! I will definitely be returning.

I came to Addis from LA for a friend's wedding. I stayed at the Sheraton and Hyatt for a few days before moving to the Best Western Plus. I love the location of Best Western. It is in the heart of Bole which is where all the action is. The prices are very reasonable as well compared to the overpriced Sheraton/Hyatt. The staff at Best Western have been excellent. From the front desk to the housekeepers to the waiters in the amazing restaurant (which is semi outdoors and has a huge TV for watching the World Cup), I've enjoyed my stay very much. Mihret T has been phenomenal as well. He always takes care of me when I come to the bar/restaurant. Will definitely be coming back.

from where should I start for this marvelous hotel with well-trained staff all over from the shuttle service to the gate and up to housemaids, very kind and respectful to their duties, this hotel will be my first choice when ever I'm in Addis.

A fine, friendly property, well located in the Bole district of Addis. Superb staff (particularly Timketu!) who try to anticipate your next need; decent amenities, comfortable rooms and a reasonable, if not overly imaginative, restaurant.

Our company organized a farewell ceremony at Best West. It was a luncheon program for a group of 75. The Meeting Hall was just spacious and beautiful. The service waa excellent and the meals were great. Variety of Traditional Dishes are a bit lacking from the menu but the ones present were nice. The best part was the coffee ceremony followed by the delicious cake, which I recommend for anyone planning to organize an event there. Overall, It's just one place you would comfortably go to whenever you are in need!!!

Very good hotel Breakfast need to be improved. Early check in is a big issue for this hotel. ( they asked for 50 $ to be checked in available rooms .. which is vey strange .) The manager is very polite. Rooms are clean. The location of the hotel is good ( relatively speaking )

Excellent service from a lady called Meron T at best western Restaurant. She has a heart of compassion. The sky is no limit for this dedicated servant. The hotel interacts with guests at a personal level, making sure the stay is home.

Overall very welcoming and friendly staff from the time you arrive until the time you leave. Rooms are very clean and tidy, bar and restaurant is friendly with good food and good atmosphere especially on a Saturday night, highly recommend staying about for the live bands. A bit more choice on the buffet at breakfast and evening meal would be good, however, good choice on lunch and dinner menu!

Stayed during a cold and wet period but the warm hospitality more then made up for that. The Hotel is located in a very handy part of the city for amenities and comfortable and clean. Special mention to my brother Habtamu who was an exceptional Barman and made the stay very memorable.

I organised a two day conference for 15 colleagues at BWP with all attendees staying at the hotel. This was a last booking after changing from another hotel. I can honestly say the facilities, customer service and general assistance we received were fantastic. Everything was prepared to a high standard, staff were attentive and always available to help last minute request. The food provided in the hotel restuarant was fresh, varied and delicious, whilst they also included vegan options. We were able to fully concentrate on out work knowing that everything else was being taken care of I would like to say a specific thank you to Yared, one of the sales executives. He served as our point person during preparations and throughout the two day conference. Always available, always keen to provide any additional support we needed, exceptionally easy to work with and always with our best interests at heart. Thank you Yared. All in all, I would absolutely recomend this as a great option for a conferênce/meeting right in the centre of Addis.

I had a quite a good experience at my stay at the hotel. I got a good service from Ato Yared Ayalew (Sales Executive), He is a very good sales person, he had a good communication and negotiation skill.

My first visit to best-western was related to business our company organized a project launch and it was the best cocktail service. starting from the marketing team to the whole team was very professional and well organized. the jan-meda hall view was amazing and the conference facilities use the latest technologies. my second visit to best-western was with friends related to organizing a baby shower. and their service was so amazing, the setup, dinner and the cake were special. I highly recommend best-western for any kind of event that you may plan in the future. we had a very nice time their. At last, I want to thank the marketing team especially Mr. Yared. I attended a work related conference at Best Western Addis Ababa in mid June 2022, and stayed for 10 days. The Hotel is very well set-up and the conference facilities are brilliant. The Hotel Staff are also Hospitable right from the security checks when you arrive until the check-in and bell hops. Our check-in was smooth and the rooms were prepared on time. The conference room was also kept clean and refreshed throughout our stay. It was a memorable experience and stay, and I look forward to returning in 2023. Special thanks to Tsigereda, the Sales Lady, she was very supportive throughout our stay and ensured the conference went on smoothly and successfully. Mr. Teddy was also very helpful during the tea-breaks, and ensured the meeting room was always refreshed and kept clean. One thing the Hotel can consider is a wider variety of menu, as it is presently very limited. Consider also providing fresh juices as part of lunch (not only soft drinks and coffee/tea). Consider also a guard within the vicinity of the hotel to guard guests against being pick-pocketed by the boys selling wares right outside the hotel. All in all a memorable stay, and big thanks to the team at Best Western Plus.

Best Western Plus Hotel hosted our guests (about 48 people) for over a week. The group was composed of different states in the Horn of Africa region; and everyone was happy with the service, care, and extra effort made to address the needs of this diverse group. Particularly; Kalkidan Abera from the restaurant (with her excellent communication skill, welcoming vibe, and accommodating of our needs), Tamirat Abayneh (taking full responsibility and care of the group every day for the entire week, with respect and humble smile (tho under the mask); and of course Ruda Teshale and Tewodros Masresha for their outstanding customer service skills and their alertness to the needs of the customer is outstanding!

10/10. loved my stay. The team was super helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Always pleasant when I asked them for help. From shuttle service to covid testing to figuring out local shopping areas.

A grope of more than 45 people stayed there for a week's training and the service was optimal. It is well managed , the staff is well-mannered and always ready to help. We were particularly impressed by Kalkidan who was always welcoming and did her job with love and care, she is amazing and we recommend her a 100%.

This was my first time to Africa and my first time to Ethiopia. As an African-American I have always looked forward to come to the land of our ancestors and seeing our brothers and sisters in the motherland. The staff and personnel made my stay enjoyable and they were really nice, I would like to give a special kudos to Addisu G. (With his professionalism and great customer service when I came to eat in the restaurant, Roman and ASmarew (in the restaurant he was like a little brother and so funny) RUTH and Helen (who helped me become situated In my room and helped make my stay enjoyable by ensuring everything was satisfactory) ABENEZER (who helped me with my luggage and great professionalism) Fitsum (who did an outstanding job on my laundry and got it back in lightning speed). And also all of the front desk staff especially RAHEL and Ruth and Helen, the beautiful smiles and excellent customer service made this the most epic pilgrimage to the land of our ancestors, and as a child of the diaspora I would Highly recommend this hotel to others who want to visit the land across the sea, that our ancestors were forced from, but now to return and experience the culture is a blessing and I am perpetually grateful for the not only excellent customer service but also the feeling that the staff was like my extended family, cousins of the diaspora. I visited Best Western Plus Addis Ababa and their services are high-end and superb, especially Mihert Y in the lobby bar area. The customer service was very friendly, efficient, and excellent service with a courteous approach. I will surely come back.

I was happy when I arrived at Bole Airport and Azeb was waiting to welcome and direct me. The last two times weren't very pleasant with the airport shuttle after missing it both times and having to call the hotel and wait for a long time. As I came through the customs check point at the airport, I was already preparing myself for the long wait, given my flight had been delayed and I missed my indicated arrival time. How pleasant it was to see the Best Western placard right inside the hall and Azeb directed me to the shuttle. Thanks for this addition, it enriched the arrival and transfer experience. And she is a very warm and friendly girl by the way, great command of English and a great communicator. Best Western is home for me. Always loves being back to the warmth of all staff right from the drivers to house keepers!

After staying further afield on the outskirts of Addis previously, decided this time to stay more central. Did a lot of research on hotels within close proximity to the airport and landed on Best Western Plus. The rooms were clean, staff friendly and helpful and overall a very pleasant stay. A special thanks to Mihret from the Cafe / Bar area on Ground floor who gave excellent service and was incredibly helpful and friendly!

I come here the first time in Ethiopia (Land of ornigin) This hotel did a great job of providing comfort (at a really high level) while weaving in some cultural elements that make Ethiopia unique. Traveling in Africa requires a good “home base” to have an excellent trip, and best western will be mine going forward in Ethiopian and l will back to Ethiopia soon

Excellent service received from a young lady who meets guests at Addis Ababa airport - Azeb. If it was not for her I would have been stranded as the driver who was organised by my traveling agency was not aware of my arrival. Azeb called the driver who said he's not at the airport and not aware that he's got a guest to pick up. The kind lady then called the hotel and a hotel shuttle came to collect me.. thank you Azeb for your great and kind service even though I was not the guest you were waiting for. My stay at the Best Western Plus in Addis was a memorable one. The staff are very kind and polite, from when you arrive at the airport, right until you check out of the hotel! since me and my wife had lots of luggage's the room we booked was not able to accommodate us.But thanks to the front manager Ashale he was very helpful in getting us a better room and regular follow up during our stay and end up by extending for multiple days because of the over all service we got. I have visited this place Manu times. The service is alekausi very good and polite. The location is good and the peolple attending the clients is excelent. Especially Asemarew has attended with a special attention and with good communication in English and spanish.

I have organized three days workshops in the hotel. The meeting room and its facilities were excellent. The internet connection speed was amazing. Refreshment and lunch services were delicious. The staff who attended us all time were very special and supportive; specially Mr Yared (marketing manager) was a wonderful person.

Great service by staff with follow up and immediate response. Couldn't have asked for more. Our booking was last minute as we were not expecting a long lay over at the airport and when our travel agency booked the hotel, all we got was the name of the hotel. When we cleared immigration and headed out early morning hours of Saturday we were looking for cab service, only to be shocked and find a shuttle with my name waiting for us which was a amen moment given that this was an unplanned excursion into the country. The reception staff had gone out of their way to anticipate our fate given the wee hours and they went out of their way to make certain that we did not encounter negative experiences. What more can one ask. Thank Allah, God, Jehovah for caring staff.

Excellent property and very convenient. This is the perfect hotel for a business or recreational visit to Addis. The downtown area on Main Street is a best kept secret and the Best Western offers everything you need if you don't feel like venturing out. Though i have been coming to addis for quite some time i stayed at this hotel for the first time Good property, quite safe and following covid precautions, motivated staff, good location. The highlight of the stay was the head chef deepak who went out of the way to accomodate my vegetarian food requirements.. I think the BEST INDIAN FOOD i have ever had in addis, very fresh and very high quality and authenticity. It reminded me of typical north indian food with all spices and same flavour. This is my first time staying at the Best Western Plus located very close to the airport. A very nice location, great staff that were very welcoming, and a wonderful room. For the very affordable price in down town Addis this is a great option for one of the nicer hotels. Very clean and Covid friendly. So one will feel safe here and will have a good experience.

It's 3am now. I can not sleep because I was awakened from my sleep by the front office manager who called me at 12:23 Am to inquire about something the guest next door complained about earlier around 8Pm or so. It seems like this "guest" who only stays room 717 suffers from OCD and makes several complaints back to back and the front office staff lack the discernment, critical thinking and motivation to verify if any of them are actually true..instead, they call you, ever time the person with a disorder calls them..at all hours of the night. This is the second time this has happened. Last time, I received 5 calls about the same issue that happened hours ago that I had to leave the hotel to calm myself down. Today, I was startled out of bed after midnight about something that happened at 8pm or so. The staff does seem to exercise and critical thinking skills unfortunately thier eagerness to respond to one guests complaint is actually causing them to harass and upset another guest unfairly. Thou I understand they have good intentions, I am writing this review because the management needs to train and develop the staff especially the front office and shift managers on complaint/conflict handling and team work to solve customer service issues.

This is third time staying at this hotel and the amenity is great and to international standard , the rooms are great with wonderful view of the city from the balcony .. the lobby is great to sit down and relax whenever you want to take break from your daily routine … the staff are welcoming and very warm , specially Asmarew Molla from warm welcoming in the hotel to invitation to tour Addis historical sites to parks …he is multilingual from Amharic to English and Spanish too.

Best western plus was a very wise and apt choice for our 11 days stay in addis ababa on our recent visit there. The rooms were immaculately clean and every call for services required or any requests made were promptly answered and served. The staff was very polite and kind. Always greeted us with humility and smiles. Their Chef Mr Deepak, trully made us feel at home with his thoughtfulness to serve us with some ‘taste of India', for our breakfast almost everyday. We Stayed here for 12 days. It was one one of the most comfortable and pleasureable stay we have had. The staff is extremely warm and welcoming. Each and everyone greeting us with a smile and always ready to help us as and when required. I would like to especially mention Chef Deepak who went out of his way to accommodate all our needs and wants. He never made us miss India for a single moment. He prepared for us some delicious steaks, amazing Chicken tikka and also went out and about to prepare us and personally over looking breakfast at 4am in the morning, the day of our fast. The customer service at Best Western Addis Hotel is excellent. I am particularly impressed with a waiter called Melka. Since I have dined at the hotel, he and other hotel workers have been diligent and attentive to my and other customer needs.

Nice and clean hotel with willing staff, general manager is also a cool guy. Gym is kinda limited with 1 tower for triceps and back, 1 leg machine and bench. Maximum kg of full loaded bar is 40kg and max dumbell is 20kg. There is also place for pull ups. Gym is always clean and empty, compared to other in the area I would recommend this one. Stay away from ordered food, coz it caused food poisoning 4 times. Breakfast were safe tho.

The hotel was really really good. Its situated 5 minutes from the airport. Staff is very courteous, breakfast buffet was very very good, A lot of options like sausages, eggs, orange juice, waffles, tartes, cereals. The hotel room was good with a balcony overlooking the city. The city was spectacular (See pics) Our whole trip was coordinated with Mr Mati Megersa from reception, who was amazing. He took the liberty of booking us a room during odd hours and assisted my family with all procedures. Cannot thank Mati Megersa enough, specially when you are coming to a new country, that you have never been in. Mati Megersa was very courteous to us, and always ready to assist. We had a short 1 day stay in ethiopia, but will definitely come back to this hotel to see Ethiopia again.

This hotel can be compared to European standards. It has many facilities, looks excellent and rooms are clean. Staff is very helpful, experienced, and very fluent in the english language. In particulary i am thinking about Masho from the restaurant, and the reception staff in general. I would definetly come back. Only point of attention is the cooking times of the fish (nile perch). I had it 3 times, and 1 time it was overcooked, so not enjoyable. I would like to give it another try, tho.

I had an excellent weeklong stay at this hotel. The facilities were quite good and in line with a comfortable, above average hotel in the United States. The rooms were quiet and well-air conditioned. The food was very good. The gym was surprisingly nice. EVERYTHING worked in this hotel. The best part: outstanding customer service. All of the staff members, notably Asmarew and Molla, made my business partners and me feel like we were home every day with thoughtfulness and friendliness. By the end of my week's stay, I had made new friends. I highly recommend staying here whenever visiting Addis.

I'm a regular client of the Best Western Plus in Bole and feel that it has declined in both quality and customer service in the last year. While the staff are genuinely helpful and kind, I am rather suspicious of some recent reviews that say the same thing, singling out the same staff over and over ;) The rooms are small (I find it astonishing that someone could describe them as big!) and because of the curved shape of the building some rooms are even smaller than the standard size. The bathrooms are spacious though and they have fixed the inconsistent water flow problem they had in 2018 and 2019, so a decent shower is possible. As elsewhere, the shower design means that the shower is going to spray water everywhere in the bathroom, so ask for extra towels to put on the floor to mop it all up. The beds are firm (good for me) and the very large windows mean that the rooms are extremely sunny during the day. The front rooms (odd numbered rooms) can be very noisy day and night, but read rooms (even numbered) on lower levels look towards a very close building and so can be gloomy. The restaurant was the high point of the Best Western but I have had to send food back frequently for being too cold (many times) or for being absurdly, inedibly spicy (a few times) and on three nights in a row because there was masses of bone in the mince for meatballs or burgers. I used to eat in the restaurant most night but now find I avoid it because of this poor quality. The hotel now has a very nice bakery next door with excellent bread, pastries and icecreams. The hotel is very well located for the Bole business district and is just 3 minutes from the airport.

First of all, all the hotel staff were so nice, helpful, supporting and welcoming...rooms are very good, and they let you check the room before taking it...every thing is very good similar to many other hotels. However, what happened with me in the last night was something remarkable and touching... After finishing my dinner, all the restaurant staff came, with a complementary delicious cake...thanking me for staying in the hotel and being a very good guest...to tell you the truth...i was touched by that...for me, i will never ever chose different hotel than Best Western Plus...thanks to all amazing staff, where i would specifically mention Mercy, Asmarewc, Addis, Emebet, Fikruk... Thanks to the Best Western Plus for a wonderful stay. Staff are great and the hotel is a very comfortable, great base for exploring the city and an entertainment spot in the evening. Imagine that it is also great for business travelers. Rooms are a little on the compact side but on balance still 5 star!! During my last three stays in Addis Ababa, this was my home. Rooms could be slightly larger, but otherwise all is perfect. The hotel has a nice and light atmosphere, good location, check in and check out are fast and efficient and there is a pleasant gym. The food is good and so is the staff. All of them are friendly and professional. Moreover, they constantly help me to improve my extremely rudimentary Amharic. The room I was staying in had a really bueatiful view of the city, the rooms were also quiet and cozy. The food was absolutley delicous, first time have ethopian food. The staff was very sweet and respectful, this particular staf was the kindest to me, his name was Nati. He made sure I had a great stay at the hotel. I would say overall a 10/10 for how I was treated me during my stay :).

The rooms are very comfortable and quiet and the internet speed is good. The food is also quite good and the servings are very generous. What really makes this property great though is the staff who are professional, kind and incredibly helpful.

I was booked into this hotel to do my "home isolation" when entering Addis Ababa. I found the overall experience balanced and good when considering the challenges they have to face with the current situation around COVID. They were not overbearing with their arrangements but one also felt comfortable that they are considerate and understanding the potential risks that one may face. I am comfortable to go back there when required to stay more nights in Addis.

I arrived at 10am, did not receive so much as a simple greeting until 10:10 am. I had to call over a server that was walking around to ask him for a drink menu. I was there to watch a game, and at about the 70th minute a random man in a suit decided to walk up and simply turn the volume off with not so much as an explanation. I asked why he turned it off, and he cited the music playing just outside the restaurant. This is the day after I came into the restaurant to have dinner, and was only helped by the manager who thankfully decided to help me and ask me how my food was and if I had received my drink. There needs to be a complete revamp of the staff in this hotel because the ones working at the restaurant are horrible.

If you want to spend your new year in Ethiopia, Best Western Plus Addis is the place to stay. I found the hotel very convenient for my stay; convenient location for shopping, dinning and celebrating. I enjoyed the event for New Year's eve that included live musicians with memorable beats, outside Grille, great food and drink. The team at Best Western Plus Addis truly went extra miles to please me during my four days stay that included rapid check-in and checkout, good parking service, personal trainer at exercise room and excellent hospitality at breakfast dinning room. Hope to check-in again next time for Ethiopian New Year!

This was a 5 day stay, the hotel is within a 15 minute drive from the airport. The rooms were clean and the staff are polite and friendly. Only one lift (out of 2) was working which meant a much longer time moving around the hotel. The hotel lift buttons were not covered in plastic due to COVID, hence many hands touching the buttons. The breakfast is very basic at 15US$. The menu pictures and what you receive are completely different, looks like the pictures have been downloaded and the chef gives you want he has. On the menu it looked as though they had imported fish and beef unfortunately it was local produce that was tough and not delicious. They had run out of South African wine and only had Ethiopian which is completely different to the fine wines of SA.

Great customer service and location, I've been here in Addis Ababa for more than a month now and visit best western often to use the wifi and work on some projects, during my visits I met the waiter Asmeraw M, a very elegant and smart person who speaks several languages. If you are looking for a very nice place, quiet, good WiFi and quality service, this is the absulute perfect hotel.

Visited several times during November and December 2020. Good food and service combined with nice atmosphere and vibe sitting in the outside area watching the Addis Ababa world go by. Check in experience was easy and friendly , this hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport which is located a few miles away, variety of room types to choose from, I had the king bed. my room however small was clean and appointed with every amenity one needs . A small balcony overlooking the courtyard below work space with ample lightening a sitting area, mini fridge with coffee maker, inroom safe ......etc This hotel also offer 24 hr room service , the lobby bar /lounge named ferenssaye legassion with a well stocked bar / food menu serves lunch and dinner on the semi out door terrace over looking the street from a comfortable distance. Thursday and Saturday they serve steaks, chicken on the grill prepared in front of you and on demand. A MUST TRY!!!! Breakfast is served on the first floor restaurant. Nearby in walking distance are malls, restaurants, coffee shops houses of worship ..... For those who wish to rent a car there is a car rental place call ABC car rent right next door but taxis and local uber style service called RIDE IS available. My stay which consisted of 14 nights was nothing short of amazing with helpful staff like Rahel and Timket at the guest relation desk , Miheret and Asmarew in the lobby bar ,Ruth at check in, Solomon and Yohannes at the security desk and Ivan the General manager and countless others staff members will make your stay fun relaxed and above all enjoyable. I certainly enjoyed and felt at home the entire time !! COVID -19 Observed every staff members and guests wearing masks and using sanitizers frequently , also witnessed housekeeping staff sanitizing surfaces in the room, there is also a temp check at the entrance and hand sanitizing station throughout the property.

The stay was pleasant, hotel is conveniently located near a mall an restaurants. The rooms are clean, albeit a bit smaller than usual. Clean rooms with efficient room service as well. Breakfast offers a variety of food from local to continental cuisine however fruits were not often sweet.

Stayed at Best Western Plus Addis recently for 5 nights and here are my thoughts: 1. Great lively location. 2. Though the hotel is recently built (probably 2 years or so) but furniture and decoration of the rooms look old. 3. Towels are of low quality and probably 100 years old (if you know what I mean). 4. Breakfast was ok - nothing special. 5. Quality of buffet lunch was poor. 6. Check in and out was good and quick. 7. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Will I stay here again - NO.

Spent 3 nights at the hotel over 2 visits. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The guest relations representative was very good. Breakfast buffet was good with a large selection of items to eat. Hotel is located in a lively area.

Very friendly efficient staff throughout this hotel - sorry can only remember 2 names. Tigist at check in and Rahel with her lovely smiley breakfast greeting. Rooms maybe regarded as a bit small by some - think Royal Caribbean cruise ship standard cabin with balcony. Very well appointed, spotless and everything working brilliantly. We found the choice of food for breakfast was excellent and the patio area on the ground floor was great for having a beer or coffee and cake and just watching the lively world go by, Cinema across the road in Edna Mall. Couldn't fault it. Will be returning for sure.

overall a good hotel to stay. it has all the necessary comforts for a peaceful and quiet stay. the gym, sauna and steam room are well equipped, a must for keeping fit and relaxing immediately. the lounge / bar is a great place to have an aperitif and tease some good local dishes the waiters are polite, helpful and always smiling. the bedrooms spacious and clean, only negative note, is the shower tray that cannot contain water during use, causing water to leak out onto the bathroom floor.

From reservation, to check in, to constant problems with the room, it was an awful experience from beginning to end. The most disappointing part of it was that twice we waited over an hour to talk to the manger to try to get things fixed, but he barely could understand what we were saying. Every time we talked to him we were told "You have to fix the problem yourself" or "We are done here". Incompetent manager. We ended up having to spend a huge amount of time trying to fix problems with the room and reservation that were created by the hotel and we ended up missing a lot of activities as a result. At least the staff was friendly and tried to help, although with minimal results.

To start, the staff at Best Western Plus live up to the reputation this hotel chain had been known for in the US for many, many years. They were extremely accommodating, helpful, friendly and gracious. Especially impressive are Yared in reservations and Asmarew in the lobby bar/cafe. The housekeepers and front-desk staff were also great, often going beyond the normal call of duty. The rooms have outstanding beds and facilities like strong WiFi connections and clear, reliable satellite TV with a good selection of international channels. Although there are many bars and restaurants right outside the hotel's front doors in this bustling neighborhood, the food and drink inside the hotel are really good. Buffet breakfast was especially tasty, and the menu changed on a daily basis. Much appreciated! When I return to Addis in the future, I will definitely stay at Best Western Plus again.

First of all.. One of the best staff were here.. I liked it so much.. Super helpful and polite.. There are few points which need to improve 1. The Room service food was terrible.. The chef's burger which is supposed to be the best.. Was one of the worst burgers i have eaten in my life.. The food quality in general is not good at all.. 2. The annoying music from across the street.. Starts at 0830 early morning and continues NONSTOP till 10 PM.. I love Ethiopian Music but it gets annoying when u hear it all day long non stop.. Forget about working on ur emails or sleeping till late in the morning.. Or doing anything.. Because the music will continue banging under your year for 14 hours every day.. I BELIEVE THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT SHOULD SOLVE THIS ISSUE WITH ITS NEIGHBORS. BECAUSE EVEN IF U GOT THE BEST BEDS IN TOWN.. THE NOISE WILL NOT KEEP PEOPLE COMING.. thats my 2 cent on this hotel.. Again i was impressed by the hospitality of the staff.. They are super friendly.. The rooms are clean and so are the bathrooms..the beds are comfortable.. Would i come again? Yes IF AND ONLY IF there was a solution for the music coming from the mall and cafes.. Because as a normal human being.. We do need to sleep and work.. Beside listening to music all day long..

Just a short drive from the airport, this hotel sits in a good central area. There are many shops & restaurants in the area and in walking distance to some of the places of interest in Addis. The rooms were great and comfortable. The breakfast was terrible. Don't eve bother with it. The cafe/restaurant downstairs at the hotel had good food & drinks but the service was slow. The reception staff were good and helpful.

This is my 29th visit to Addis Ababa I stayed in too many hotels in Addis Ababa. this is one of the best to value although it need some adjustments like increasing items to breakfast and improving the GYM

Have stayed a few places in Addis over the years. This first time at Best Western Addis. Good value for money (which is rare here) and without comparison the best food quality, for example this chicken avocado salad.

Recently spent a week at the Best Western in Addis for work. Being on a solo work trip in a city that you don't know can be difficult. The staff at the hotel were fabulous - helpful and friendly. Special mention to the reception staff and to Asmarew at the restaurant. Thank you for making me feel at home.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff is extremely capable and helpful, particularly Rediet at the front desk has been on top of her game. Would recommend this place anytime to my colleagues and clients coming to Addis.

We visited this hotel from 26 Oct to 2 Nov and were treated like royalty. From the lady who helped us check in, Tigist, to the rest of staff, the hotel has excellent service. I would like to make a special mention of a multilingual, alert and ever smiling gentleman called Asmarew, who became like our private waiter. He tended to all our refreshment needs throughout our stay. He really is an astute and consummate professional and deserves to rise to the highest levels in hospitality.

Stayed here for two nights, the AC was broken in room 309 and they didnt care to do anything about it. Really close to the airport, breakfast is very nice and the room is clean. But very, very hot....

This hotel has it all. From location to the friendliest staff, truly defining the say that a smile cost nothing was at display at this hotel. I have stayed at a number of hotels around the world but i've found this particular hotel ticking all the right boxes in all categories. Keep up the good work please make sure all your staffs are recognised for their hard work. I hope to come back and stay again in the near future i have no doubt the service will be even grater than the one i experienced on my seven days stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a free pick up from the airport to the hotel, the meeting place is just through having come out of the restricted area of the airport. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The wifi is a little temperamental and does not work well in some of the rooms, so ask for one where it works.

The hotel has perhaps the best food around Bole and their staff is very professional and caring. The buffet is usually served during working days and the price is 350 Birr which is approx $15. The restaurant also has a great view over Bole and its surroundings.

The hotel was good. I stayed in the hotel for 6 nights on BB. The rooms were small but just enough for a single individual. My room had a balcony that provides a good view of the ever expanding Addis Ababa. The rooms were well kept and clean. The bathrooms and toilet were clean but they do not provide a dental kit so come prepared with your dental kit. I also realized that the shower gels and shampoos were getting refilled by the cleaner and thus the reason why they are in tawdry packaging. The breakfast was really good and the chef always surprised us with some local cuisine, i.e. some Ugali and Githeri. The fruits were always fresh and delicious. I loved the Orange and Papaya Juice as they were real freshly squeezed juice. The bar downstairs is okay and the service is outstanding, the prices of beer and food is swank but there is an alternative to dine outside as the hotel is situated in a very commercial part of Addis. There is also a milkshake and ice cream bar just outside the hotel with some outstanding delicacies. The best part of the hotel is the health center with a gym that is well equipped and a sauna with a steam room. The gym is clean and well kept with a friendly receptionist. The staff were extremely friendly, warm and very welcoming. I truly enjoyed my stay in Best Western and did not experience a single negative vibe. Thank you!

The best location for business, clean and save. Room was somehow small, the laundry was fine as well. Health center is very nice and clean with reasonable prices. It's recommended for business travelers and short stay.

The staff was pleasant, front desk and housekeeping. The location was convenient with a small shopping centre across the street and near airport. Having the complimentary airport shuttle was a bonus!!

After a couple of nights at Residence Suite Hotel this was a relief! Well maintained, western type of place with good service. Nice rooms, nice service. Stayed a total of 10 nights in three stints, allways in different rooms. Would pic this hotel again when needed. Good value of money.

This is a five to ten minute drive from the airport and in a great location in Bole. Rooms are spacious. Great breakfast buffet and wifi is pretty reliable all over. There is a pizza hut just over the road. Hotel will order you a blue taxi and they have a free airport shuttle. i'd definitley stay here next time I'm in Addis.

I had to overnight in ADD and chose to stay at this hotel rather than roughing it in the airport. The hotel shuttle worked so well - absolutely no problems getting to the hotel or returning to the airport in the morning. Although the restaurant was closed when I arrived, room service is open 24 hours so I was able to have a light bite to eat in my room. The bed was comfortable, the room clean and updated, great shower. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, easy to get to place to overnight - this is it!

I was in Addis for about three weeks on business. It's a great city that I have visited many times, but not every hotel is created equal. On this trip, I decided to give the Best Western a try. I made my initial booking for just a couple of days so that I could check it out, and proceeded to extend my stay for the duration of my trip. The room was good -- comfortable bed, blackout curtains, a desk and chair, a separate table and chair, a nice bathroom, and plenty of space to unpack. Also, importantly, the WiFi worked very well with minimal interruption and good speed. The overall hotel space was also very inviting and nice. I used the attached restaurant on many occasions for food and coffee as well as the health center without issue. The location was also good, within walking distance of many spots but also easy access to taxis. The best part, however, was definitely the hotel staff. They always went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable and make me feel at home. They did a lot of the little things that make a big difference like remembering names and memorizing the morning coffee order. Asmarew in particular reached out from day one as kind, friendly, and welcoming. It was great to get to know him a little bit and hear about the city from his perspective. I will likely stay at this hotel again the next time I'm in town because of Asmarew and the rest of the excellent hotel staff.

When you stay in as many hotels as I do - they all tend to blur after a while - something has to really stand out to make an impresssion Usually it's for the wrong reasons - in particular ‘5 Star hotels' with 2 star service. What a delight the Best Western Plus in Addis Ababa turned out to be - not because of any particular architectural merit or the food - it serves the usual unexciting offering you get at hotels in Africa (thinks ‘Chef's own hamburger'...). What really makes this hotel stand out is the quality of the staff - the service was impeccable- whoever trains the staff at this hotel deserves a gold star and then some. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Perhaps it has something to do with Ethiopean culture but they were simply first rate. I look forward to visiting again.

The worst hotel who charges for WiFi with meal Anywhere else WiFi is free. When comment made doesn't even bother to compromise. International brand??? First impression is very important and did not see this happening in so called international brand hotel from what we saw and experienced today. Even the local hotels provides free WiFi.

New Hotel in Bole Road , Stayed twice in this year . Near to Adna Mall Very courteous, well trained staff , Nice hotel to stay when you are in business trip . Their Restaurant is good . Coffee shop is great to have business discussion when you have business visitors at hotel . Airport pick up and drop is complimentary , they have a small office at airport ,you can find them at left side as soon as you come out of departure . Only missing in this hotel is Swimming pool , they have gym ,steam room and sauna as complimentary Value for money ,Internet speed is good and bathroom is good

We were promised and expected a good level of accomodation and food at this hotel. It was very noisy in the surrounding streets all night. The wifi did not work. The breakfast was a joke - lots of staff milling around but not a lot of action. I had to ask 4 times (yes, 4) for butter to be brought to the table. When it finally arrived it was feta cheese... Wake up Best Western. Service is more than just looking the part - you actually have to do things!

It is always so nice to stay in BW Plus Bole, location is great and close to all the areas. the hotel is so clean and stuff so friendly and supportive. I would definitely stay there for every trip to Addis in the future.

Excellent service with great atmosphere. We were greeted by a lively outdoor restaurant next to reception. Great security and friendly professional staff. Double room has all necessary modern conveniences with narrow balcony for smokers. Great buffet for breakfast that caters for all tastes. Seems like popular place for conferences.

Stayed here with my daughter and husband at the end of April. This was fab. Customer service was impeccable. My daughter wasn't feeling too well, and they couldn't do enough for us. Fixtures and fittings modern and clean. Lovely food. Well on par with other much more expensive hotels in Addis. Will definitely stay there again.

I had a king deluxe room but the bed was definitely not king size. Bring your own shampoo, condition, body wash as the ones in the hotel are not so good. The AC in my room was not so strong and didn't make my room cold. Despite all of that, I would stay again. Very quiet, clean and comfortable. Food was good. The location is great. Close to malls, restaurants and easy to walk to places. The staff are very nice and all speak very good English.

I frequently stay at BW Bole. the rooms are very comfortable, service is commendable & the food is also good. however, the check-in/check-out process is bit slow. the vegetarian food options for limited.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus for 8 days in April/May 2019 and was very pleased with the experience. The most remarkable feature of the hotel was the quality and pleasantness of the staff----always most helpful, friendly and service oriented. My room was a suite, which was nice--probably a 3 star in North America, but everything worked and it was quiet, with good internet and a good shower facility. The second most important aspect of the hotel was the quality of the food, which was always excellent. The main restaurant overlooking the street is first class in service and quality of food. I have visited Ethiopia and many African countries often and my experience here was near the top of the list. I recommend it highly.

Short trip from airport (about 15 mins at the most), smooth and friendly check-in from a hotels.com booking. I can see why previous reviewers struggled with airport pickups, but the hotel drivers are not allowed into the airport terminal, and you must leave the arrivals terminal and go down into the car park in front where the taxis are. Room was comfortable if a little small (standard room) , looking out onto the main Street in front. Room was clean and all working, WiFi was good, no interruptions. Many restaurants etc on main Street, quite a lot of noise from French windows that didn't close / lock completely, but not too bad. Noise stopped after midnight anyway. Room service sandwich was ok, generous portion, arrived without too much delay, and beer was cold. Easy checkout at early morning, friendly service even at 06h00.

I am a frequent traveler to Africa and honestly the difference between hotels (the good ones) is all about the service. At BW Addis me and my colleagues we felt at home. From the warm welcome at check in (they gave us free early check-in), to the delicious breakfast that is also served always with a smile! The beds are very comfy and my room (on the ninth floor) was super quiet. The overall experience was very pleasant I highly recommend this hotel!

In Addis Ababa basic infrastructure (electricity, water, internet) is still unreliable, frequently causing annoyances and even serious problems for the traveller. This hotel, however, is really well functioning and came as a positive surprise. I stayed for a full week and there was always water (also hot, in the shower, with good pressure), and electricity - and Internet was remarkably fast. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was good and my room (not towards the main entrance) was quiet. Even the a/c worked well! The outdoor cafeteria at the ground floor was nice (with good wi-fi), the gym was OK and staff was friendly. Two bottles of water were provided for free every day in the room, a detail much appreciated when coming home after a long day and not wanting to go out again. The breakfast buffet offered a wide assortment of cold and hot food. Room for improvement: routines and systems at the reception should be overhauled as reservations (mine as well as many other guest's ) took a long time to find, even when showing them in print. The pick-up service at the airport could also be improved - informing guests that the driver is not waiting inside the hall (after customs, which applies to many other hotels) but that the van is located in the parking lot. Overall, highly recommended!

Good hotel, friendly staff, near the airport in a safe area. Good breakfast buffet and clean rooms. The Bar/Restaurant in the lobby area is fantastic. WiFi is good (inside the room and in the common areas) Couple of issues: 1. I could not contact the hotel to schedule a shuttle to pick me up from the airport. The email bounced and my contact in Addis told me that the hotel never picks up the phone (listed in their web-site). THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. 2. The buffet (located on the 1st floor) closes 30 minutes early. We showed up exactly at 1030 PM and they had already removed all the buffet items and cleaning up the place although they are supposed to be open till 11 PM !

employees are very interested and caring. the location of the hotel is great. You can go anywhere you want in a short time. Airport is so close to hotel. It takes 10 minutes with hotel shuttle. meals and the cooks are super. rooms very comfortable and clean. I stay in this hotel for a long time and I am very happy with the service.

Best Western Plus Bole is a big step up from their usual budget hotels. We have stayed there about three different occasions for a week or two at a time. We know the hotel and employees quite well. The hotel is in a busy part of Bole snd close to Enda Mall with lots of rides and games for the kids, shopping at three smaller mslls. We liked Morning Star mall opposite the hotel was good for us. They have a terrific kids spa and I used the nail salon next door and it was awesome - they do shelac for a great price, very hygenic. Pizza hut is attached to this mall too. Food wise, the menu was still being tested when we stayed in Oct and Nov 2017. We enjoyed the kebabs and mini burgers. The breakfast buffet was pretty good most days but fresh fruit could be improved. Rooms were a bit on the small side and the bathrooms were too dark and not light or bright. More storage is needed. Smoking should really be banned. Some of the managers smoke too and really this does not look good for the BW brand. Internet was slow and sometimes fid not work at all. We dont know why the internet is so poor bec at the Golden Tulip it worked amazing. The whole code system with numbers is a silly idea snd they need to get a system like Golden Tulip or Capital Spa hotel. A downside is the business centre - it was in the lobby and not well managed. We loved the team at the hotel esp Marina and Betty. Both were so nice and went beyond the call of duty.

Spent 5 nights for business trip the accommodation was good for the city Location Middle of the heart of the city, closed to some restaurants Service and facilities Airport pickup didn't want well when arrive however when return it done Taxi seeive good Renting car was expensive Food Quality accepted and varsity is good There is also a good cafe in the ground floor The hotel generally clean and staff are friendly

The hotel is modern, clean and safe. its located close to restaurants but not necessarily in a cute area. its very close to the airport. The gym is mediocre and there is no pool but the rooms are decent, good water pressure, 24/7 affordable and decent room service and a friendly snd responsive front desk. The place is nothing special but good value for money. there is an airport shuttle but you only get to it on the parking lot, not close to the teriminal itself but its also a cheap 10 min taxi drive away. Breakfast is included and also Ok, again nothing amazing. I would stay again but likely not with kids but for business.

The location of the hotel is amazing, just minutes away from the airport, and next to many shopping centers and restaurants. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. the rooms are clean and quite. And the shower has strong cold and hot water. The free wifi covers the entire hotel area, and the signal is strong. The breakfast was excellent with many options to choose from, I only wished there were more juices and drinks options with it. The only thing I did not like about it was the shuttle service, I requested a shuttle service, and as the instructions said I was waiting for someone to hold my name at the exit gate, however there was no one, and while trying to call the hotel the number was switched off !!! luckily another hotel staff helped by calling a different number for me, and finally I managed to talk to the hotel and to the driver, but it took me more than 30 minutes of waiting time while the drive it self was close to five minutes only. However on the way back to the airport from the hotel the bus was waiting for me on time. I will definitely stay there again.

Whenever I'm Addis I'm using this hotel and returning back and back again, so can't say more it has all what's needed and staff/service are excellent. Their restaurant/terrace are also excellent and much vibrant at night so u'll not get bored ..

Reserved a room from the US since I had a layover in Addis Ababa and loved Reilly on the 1-800 #. She arranged for airport pickup which worked out great in fact they waited on me since one of my bags did not make it from Frankfurt. The warm greeting at the front door, Meron who checked me into a lovely room along with the food & beverage team were all so wonderful and gracious. On my first visit through this country I was very well taken care of. Great job folks.

As you come into the entrance there is a traditional coffee set-up and then to the left is the Lobby Bar and Cafe which serves burgers, pasta, meats, fish, and traditional Ethiopian food. There are big screen TV's for news and sports. There is an adjacent outdoor dining facing the street. The Lollipop Chicken is grilled chicken legs with a sugar glaze served with cooked vegetables or french fries. I had this with spicy Lentil soup. The chicken was slightly undercooked but edible. The service was reasonable. They did have a nice dessert display and I had the apple pie which was excellent. Once before I had come in past and had a burger which was average. Overall I would say this restaurant is average but has a nice slightly upscale atmosphere.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel. The infrastructure is also fine, as the hotel is new. but the service is unfortunately poor. Had an issue with the toilet. Had to request it to be fixed 3 times over the span of 4H; had to have some shirts picked up for cleaning as nothing in the room for this to be completed. Required three attempts; As the safe had the previous code and locked had to request it to be opened twice. I think you get the picture.... The gym is clean and has the most basic equipment to get a medium hard workout. But could be so much better if it had a couple of heavier dumbbells, actual free weights for the barbell. there is also enough space to install a small water machine, especially given the altitude and not the most efficient A/C.

We visited the Hotel to have a quick snack in the lobby restaurant facing the main road since were between meetings. The restaurant was packed to the seams as was the bar area. All we could see were 2 waiters and bartenders battling their way around with the customers. We ordered for a Tea and Beer and had to wait for over 15 minutes to be served. This was after having to walk up and track the staff member who obviously was under pressure with the service since the restaurant was understaffed The F&B Department must staff this restaurant adequately so that the clients get better service and they in turn can increase their business

Excellent hotel, the location and amenites are custormer friendly. The services of people was kind and outstanding. A very nice to spend time and business in Addis Ababa. A transport is available from and to the Airport

Hotel is new and in relatively good condition but found the service to be severely lacking. Not sure if this is consistent across Addis (it was my first trip) but after so many days of business travel, I was really looking for some good, solid service and amenities. CONS -Airport shuttle never arrived to pick me up. I was lucky enough that the shuttle was dropping another guest off at the same time, but he had no record of me. When I alerted the reception staff of this at check-in I was dismissed/excuses made. -Breakfast selections were fine, but service all around slow. Would take 10-15+ minutes for a cappuccino and often had to go without to make my meetings. -Dinner service was even slower and took very long. Food was also inconsistent. I ordered a simple pasta dish two nights in a row; the first night it was fine, the second night was nearly inedible. My companions orders often came out lukewarm and we would have to wait long periods in between requests (i.e. heating up food, salt, additional glass of wine, etc.) -Wifi access was intermittent (again wasn't sure if this is consistent across Addis). -allegedly had access to spa and gym but was never able to do so. PROS -laundry service was good (though you'll need to follow-up yourself) -room itself was clean, comfortable, and in good condition

My stay at an otherwise acceptable hotel was ruined by my experience on arrival at Bole airport. Despite my phoning the hotel the evening before to confirm my arrival details and a 19:45 pickup by hotel shuttle, I was left waiting for 45 minutes in a very unpleasant situation with no phone, local currency and limited knowledge of the language. Two people kindly made phone calls for me but I was unable to contact anyone at the hotel (they later told me there were problems with the lines that day - all the more reason to ensure no customers were abandoned at the airport. Finally I had to return to the airport to get some currency although I was only staying overnight, and I was about to leave in a taxi when the shuttle turned up and the driver came to get me out of the car. After a drive lasting 10 minutes we reached the hotel (I could literally have walked in the time I was waiting) and I asked to see the duty manager to complain: I told him I would write a negative view of the hotel, and would never stay again, but wanted to be fair and explain to him why. Unfortunately the duty manager looked about 20 years old and had clearly had no training in dealing with dissatisfied customers: he merely looked embarrassed and I knew he would make no report of the incident. He didn't even have the nous to offer a welcome drink to help compensate for the extreme inconvenience. After such a stressful experience I was in no mood to appreciate the hotel. It was ok, nothing more. On my last stay in Bole I paid 50 USD for a comfortable and considerably larger room, and good service, including punctual pick up and drop off, at a hotel a stone's throw from BWP. My calculation had been that by paying around double that price, I could be sure of a very good hotel and excellent service: unfortunately I was completely wrong. No guesses where I will stay next time...

I stayed in this hotel while on business in Addis Ababa. My room was perfect. I got to use the sauna and steam room while I was there - these were good. The restaurant was good. Their meeting rooms were okay - but on the small side for bigger groups. On the whole its a great hotel

First, the check-in staffs were very good on the same day, when we needed a last minute dinner booking for Monday night, Timketu was able to recommend a very good restaurant and arrange a table for us. Thank you Timketu! On Monday night we went for Night life nearby at AV club unfortunately I lost my Wallet and Passport there, but now one was keen to help us at the club thus I manage to come back to Best western hotel, I told to the night shift staff he call his Manager then I speak with Manager Abiy and I told him everything what happened there, this guy was very humble and he listened me very courteously then he call a phone call to the club but no one was responding, then we went together there he asked for the club manager & after they speak with their local language and we get inside were I was sitting before then the club manager call all the bartenders and waiters ask them one of the bartenders say that he just handed here and brought my passport and wallet form the back. I really want to thank to Mr. Abiy for his assistance and cooperation he goes beyond what I accepted form your staffs. The hotel Senior Management should be Proud for your friendly helpful staff. Just would definitely stay here next time I'm in Addis Ababa.

im in Addis for 2 years and for me as person who like sweets wasn't easy to find the place can satisfy me, the variety and taste of food and sweets always grab me to have good time in the restaurant. beside the delicious meals and tasteful of sweets , i found the price very reasonable. so far it my best recommended restaurant i invite to my friends.

Best western Plus Hotel is one of the best hotels that exist in Addis Ababa while I was there I really enjoyed the bed rooms.I had cheese cake during at my stay. It was amazing. The staffs are also amazing. There is a Turkish chefs.

I was hopeful to stay at the Best Western because it was built in March 2018. However the finishing is really bad and the hotel is always showing signs of wear and tear. The food is very average and the service is ok.

Reception very friendly and helpful to handle customer requests. Location is very central sitaued opposite Edna mall the premier shop Mall in Addis. Plenty of bars and entertainment around. Close to airport. I will stay again

I find the hotel to be well located for business and entertainment. Easy to grab a taxi to anywhere in the city. The two main cultural show restaurants are a short distance away. The place is better than any of the Best Western Plus I've seen in North America.

Location is excellent, everything's around, safe area and lot's of restaurants & pubs around, staff attention to details ,smiling and always ready to help, very clean hotel and affordable price . Much recommended

The Cheff is from Turkey .... he makes amazing deserts .... i m a local in addis last 4 years .... and this is the place for me to get my GREAT deserts .... the European taste and the middle Eastern taste is hard to find!! .... say hi to the Cheff from me when u see him ... cheers !!!????????

3 freinds on a holiday and had a blast... Good location, happening area, malls & restaurants all walkable distance. Comfortable rooms, good food, new property, decent spa and gym & to top it up some very good human resources to guide, help and facilitate. Having visited 45+ countries, I must say Amir Seid (FOM) and his team did an excellent job to make our 3 days memorable. Ms. Kidst (customer relations) deserves specific mention as she was core in making our trip comfortable, smooth, safe and memorable. Kidst, You are a star, keep it Up and txs a ton!! Will certainly stay here again when in Addis.

Binyam the bartender was amazing. He made any drink we wanted. Every single drink was on point. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I will recommend him to my friends and family. Best western is the place to be. Wifi available as well.

Beniam was great. He and his staff made custom drinks for us at our request and were very friendly throughout our time there in the bar/restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and the drinks are made strong. Would definitely go back again!

Although I did not stay here, I did stop a few times to meet with friends and sat in the bar area and terrace. Very Friendly staff always with a smile especially at reception as they quickly greet you with a smile. The decor is modern and the hotel seems well built unlike any hotels that I have stayed in Addis. Food and drinks are good and very reasonable in price, on my next visit I will definitely stay there and see the rooms.

Everything about my visit here was A+ Value for Money experience at Best Western plus Addis Ababa. The services and the rooms is exemplary. The staffs at the hotel were very friendly and in particular, the front desk staff were friendly, professional and listened to every word I said (Tesfalidete), Manager (Abiy) is also awesome, going above and beyond and also ready to go extra mile for their guests, had very engaging conversations, have good knowledge of their own country as well current affairs . The breakfast was very good and staff very efficient. The orders came on time and the food was excellent. Recommendation it's better to have an airport booth like other Addis Ababa hotels it will be very convenient to us I'll be back. Thank you to this hotel for everything

I enjoyed dessert and macchiatos at the bar and lounge. The atmosphere was very nice and elegant, the music was great, and the food and drinks were delicious. Everyone was really helpful and the bartender, Biniyam, was especially delightful and great to talk to. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening and we will definitely be going back to try more food and drinks and have another lovely evening experience!

I enjoyed Dashen beer on tap and a macchiato at the bar. The staff was very friendly, and the space is beautiful. The bar has great WiFi too! I cannot speak on the rooms or the food, but the bar was a nice place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Been staying at different hotels and I can say that the food at Best Western Addis Ababa is stunning. Meat basket is as sexy as Madonna. Only thing is that meat basket is too much for one person so next time I make sure I have with two people. Service at the bar and the cafe was like magic. I am happy guys. Thank you so much

i like the hotel and it has a good WiFi. The staff is also helpful for the most part but a hotel of this caliber should serve quality food and in the event that this doesn't happen then its their responsibility to change the dish. i ordered their mille-feuille which was too sugary and not rich at all so i took a couple of bites and returned it uneaten. The waiter half-heartedly asked if he should change it and then said that it was the only dessert available. it was still on the bill i paid though....

This supposedly international hotel has a price, taste and portion problem when it comes to their food. Most of the dish i sampled tasted like they were made by a trainee, not a professional chef. On top of that, the expensive dishes that were supposed to be "enough for two" are barely enough for one. The manager walks around but doesn't even bother to ask the customers for feedback. Never again.
