"3,5 out of 5"

I really like Best Western Hotels and prefer to stay in them whenever possible. Sure Hotel has a very similar look and feel, which made me feel comfortable right away. I was travelling through France and needed a place to stay, so I booked this hotel online very quickly and easily. I arrived just in time before the “closing time.” I'm still not used to hotels where there is no staff available after a certain hour, but the check-in process was straightforward. The location is very convenient, just a 5-minute drive from the highway, while still being in a quiet area with no noticeable highway noise. There are a few things I think could be improved. The cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better. Although the room generally felt clean, there were a few spots and some long hairs in the sink. Whatever cleaning product was used on the toilet also left a rather unpleasant mark. In terms of amenities and customer care, small touches could make a difference. For example, I would have appreciated receiving a full bottle of water rather than having to get it from the room myself. The bottle already had some water in it, which is never a particularly good sign. The breakfast selection was good and more than enough to make me happy. However, the food took quite a long time to be refilled, so some items were unavailable for a while. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and overall I felt the hotel offered good value for money. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely consider staying here and giving it another try.

"Fine stay"

The hotel was not manpowered on a sunday evening, but the checkin is easy with at Automatic system in the doorway. It says the hotel has internet connection but you need a reciept code to Lock on. As no reception on a sunday you might not be able to have internet. Unless you are and hotspot expert The hallways, were pretty dark and the hotelroom was fine, as the stay too. The room is standard exept no aircondition. Pretty warm on a summernight. Great parking facilities around the hotel. If you are hungry for a snack after a long drive, you could find the nearby macdonald near the movietheater in valenciennes. The restaurant at the hotel were not open sunday evening. but the nabour hotel has a restaurant that is. Allthough you couldent bring your dog on the (outside) terresse. So we went on to macd. The adresse of the hotel dident show up on my tom tom but the parralelle street did. An overall fine stay

"You get what you pay for....."

Bed was clean, room warm, plenty of hot water, buffet breakfast OK, parking OK but it is pretty dismal. For an en-suite room it was reasonably priced I suppose. Poor quality towels provided for one person, had to ask for extra ones. Seems to be near semi industrial area. Rooms smell musty and of old smoke - needs redecorating and updating. Wi-fi did not work. We were on 2nd floor, no lift, very basic. Stay only one night if you must. Near motorway network so quite handy for travelling through France.
