Hotels in Plouescat: what our guests say

Best Western Cote des Sables Plouescat
"Nice hotel!"

disco k, 22 Septembre 2026

The hotel is easy find and is pleasantly located on the coast road. It is popular with walkers. There is plenty of parking available in the hotel car park. Reception was very welcoming from all the staff. Cong from Vietnam was especially pleasant and very helpful. The hotel has a lift. We booked a room with a sea view. This turned out to be more of a distant estuary view! The room was very clean and spacious. Coffee-making facilities were provided and there was also a wine cooler. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a good sleep. The bathroom/shower was clean and there was plenty of hot water. The shower doors needed careful manoeuvring to remain shut! The restaurant was pleasant but with a limited choice on the dinner menu. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice. We would stay again if in the area.

"An excellent base for walkers and cyclists"

F6893SUsusanb, 09 Mai 2026

The hotel is in a good location on the coast path . Ideal for walkers and cyclists . It appears recently refurbished as the rooms were very well furnished and the bathrooms a good size . The staff were friendly and helpful - especially the young man on reception who told us he was from Vietnam . He spoke excellent english , which is rare to find in Brittany hotels . There is a large free carpark. A kettle in the room is unusual in French hotels

"Now a Best Western Hotel"

AppleTrees4me, 29 Avril 2026

This is now a Best Western. What we liked: clean rooms, quiet location, good view of the sea. The sauna is located in a separate spa on the ground floor of the hotel. Hotel guests must make reservations and pay 15 euro to use the sauna. Our room contained a wine cooler, and not a refrigerator. A wine cooler should not be used to store dairy products.

"Very nice hotel in a peaceful spot. Ideal for exploring the area."

Chris S, 09 Août 2025

Rooms are spacious and nicely-decorated. We had views out over the bay. Large double bed was very comfortable. There's a mini fridge, reasonable size TV, some open storage. Bathroom is spacious and well put together with a good shower. Rooms are well sound-insulated. The only disturbance is from the heavy doors which are difficult to close without making a racket. There's an on-site restaurant which we didn't use, and a fitness room with treadmill, exercise bike, and various other machines for those that know what to do with them. Plenty of on-site parking. Location is good for exploring the area. There's a few shops and restaurants in the nearby town, although if you want to eat anywhere in the evening it's probably worth booking in advance as there aren't that many places and they tend to close pretty early even in high season. The GR34 coastal path is right outside the hotel so you can take a walk along the north side of the tidal bay beside the salt marshes. Our only complaint is that one of our rooms suffered from an unpleasant smell from the drainage system. We were moved to another room, but in my opinion the original room was not fit to be rented out to guests. Hotel management should have fixed the problem properly (not just with cleaning products) or closed that room permanently.

"Great location hotel"

Sarah H, 08 Juillet 2022

I stayed here for two nights in July. Great location, a gorgeous walk to the beach, staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good (although no vegetarian option on there but they did make me something which was good). Would recommend.

"Overnight Stay"

Davidh36, 27 Septembre 2019

Stayed for one night as part of a Brittany Ferries package before going onto our gite. Modern hotel. Ate in the restaurant at night. Food was good with a selection of menus and a la carte. They adapted the main course for my wife who is gluten free. There is a secure car park to the rear. Hotel is dog friendly. There are some nice walks along the coast and estuary. There is a casino just around the corner but we did not chance our luck.

"Well situated hotel in line with expectations "

bebsaurus_13, 18 Septembre 2019

The hotel is situated near the edge of the sea wall and has a beautiful view over the bay at Plouescat. It's also at the beginning of the walking path that goes around the bay. The three star hotel is as we expected and we had an uneventful stay here. Yes parts of the hotel are getting a bit old, but my understanding is they will renovate soon. My only complaint is that hair-dryer was a bit weak. Beyond that the bed was comfortable and the room quiet.

"Perfect location"

Tricia D, 25 Mars 2019

We chose this hotel as part of a mini-break with Brittany Ferries and would certainly return there again. Less than 30 mins from Roscoff and located in a very peaceful setting overlooking the tidal estuary that is teeming with wildfowl. Excellent for those who love walking as the unspoilt coast is easily accessible along quiet lanes. Very friendly staff who make you feel at home. The restaurant offers a wide choice of well presented food for you to enjoy whilst looking out over the estuary. The hotel has just been taken over by new owners and there is the promise of major refurbishment to the leisure facilities incorporated in the building.

"Perfect in every way"

FredSparkes, 07 Mai 2018

We really enjoyed our stay at Brit Hotel Cap Ouest, Plouescat. The situation on the estuary is extremely picturesque, very quiet, with excellent light and sunsets. There is a large private car park as well as an overflow area. The décor of the hotel is modern, and well designed. We found the staff are extremely helpful, and very friendly. We had a room at the front of the hotel which had a lovely view of the bay, and was extremely comfortable. The restaurant was extremely popular, and served an excellent cuisine, with a menu having a good range of options, covering most diets including a children's option, and a well-priced wine list. The meals we had were all delicious and well presented. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of fresh food and everything we could wish for in a continental meal all very well presented and topped up. We had a very relaxing break and felt well catered for in all areas, and would like to repeat our thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.
