Getting to and from Phuket

Many minivans and public buses are available at the airport, unless you prefer to take a taxi. You can of course rent a car directly if you want to be independent and discover the island's many attractions. For short trips around town, consider motorbike taxis, which are the fastest way to get around and generally drive carefully, and are cheaper than tuk-tuks with their somewhat fluctuating fares.
