Best Western Hotel Phuket Ocean Resort, Phuket

The room had all that you needed including a free safe, complimentary water, coffee tea every day the we had a balcony overlooking the sea. Wi-Fi was all over the hotel and good enough to WhatsApp back to UK. However the room decor was very dated and could do with triple glazing. Externally the grounds and three pools are great. But the steps and climbing may not suit all. Breakfast had a good choice including lots of spicy food that we didn't try, this time of day the restaurant is manic but the staff have it all under control. We have to say all the staff were very friendly. We have given the low scoring purely on the noise from the main road that runs directly outside the hotel which kept us awake until after 3am on a number of nights.

Great location only a short walk too beach and all the shops and bars. The three pools are clean and have plenty of beds around them.this hotel is no good if you struggle with steps.and the ques for the breakfast is a joke and too be honest the breakfast is very poor and not worth the wait

I stayed for the duration of the Christmas and New Year holidays I have known the hotel for years when I return to Patong it is my home and it makes me feel at home with all the sfaff that for me is like a family always attentive to detail even the slightest particular what to say about the room really beautiful and the pool a show even in the evening a special thanks goes to the staff who worked at night in here they could manage any request at any time of the night they were always available

We recently stayed for 8 days in this hotel. I requested an upper room (which we got) and that obviously involved lots of stairs but came with a fantastic view! The reviews are pretty comprehensive, and it really lives up to expectations. The pools are superb and immaculately clean, the beach is a short walk (conveniently past the 7 eleven to stock up on cooldrinks and ice-creams) - and the best is the hotel beach towel service. The breakfast was good, albeit a little different to what we are used to but there was nothing to complain about, it had a good variety. The room service food is excellent and fast - and very convenient after a late night return from excursions. The wifi is superb. The hotel will look after your bags if you checkout but have a late flight. There is building work going on next door which can go on quite late at night, but wasn't much of a disturbance. Next to the hotel are a number of tailors for custom clothing which is convenient. Around the corner from the landmark roundabout there are many restaurants and shops, all within easy walking distance. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

An extremely solid 3 Star Hotel - great service from all Staff members,the rooms were comfortable , the best A/C Units i have had in Thailand and no hassle in getting a sunbed by the pool. The Hotel is built into an Hillside,so its not a good choice for those with mobility issues. Breakfast is a frantic affair,extremely busy,tables very close to one another,so you do not relax but it is functional and there is a good variety. We also had to queue/wait for a table everyday of our stay - no real problem tho. We used the Pool on the higher deck,it was never busy - just be careful of the parasol's, they do fly about/fall over if it gets breezy. The road outside the Hotel is a main one,it can get noisy at night and into the small hours - tuk tuks with music blarring out or Bikes without silencers. Our choice for eating was Sweet'n'Sour Restaurant- ,use Google maps to find but it is only a 5 minute walk from the Hotel. This Hotel,for the price, totally met our needs and would definitely revisit if in Karon again.

We stayed for 8 nights which incorporated my wifes 50th birthday and had a most fabulous time !! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we could not fault the hotel or the holiday in anyway. The reception staff were first class and through them arranged flowers for my wifes birthday, and also the hotel did a vase of orchids and a plate of fruit which was a lovely touch !! Our room was on the 4th floor and looked out to sea, it was comfortable, spacious and with a balcony which helped us cool off at the end of the day. Facilities in room were great, kettle, tea, coffee, a safe and a good supply of toiletries in the bathroom.The hotel has 3 great swimming pools, with the lower pools more shadey than the one on level 5, plenty of sunbeds and parasols and very relaxing. The pool bar is great, plenty of beverages and food to choose from. The main restaurant is busy, particularly at breakfast, however the choice for breakfast is excellent and plentiful, with a great mixture of hot and cold foods, cereals and cakes a plenty !! Muang is hilarious and will keep you topped up with tea and coffee. The beach is less than 5 minutes away and about the same for central Karon resort - bars and restaurants a plenty - and a 7-11 shop on way to beach stocks just about anything !!! Beach has lovely soft sand, sea like bath water and is as clean as a whistle. Tuk-tuks everywhere and we went to Kata Beach and Patong and expect to pay between 200-400 baht !! We also had a trip through our rep in our own minibus and went to Big Budda, The Viewing Point, Phuket Town, Elephants and Monkeys,Phuket Pearl and Chalong Temple - excellent trip !!! Too many bars a restaurants to list - but favourites in Karon were Papaya and Hakans great food and service.Loads of shops and markets to explore and the Saturday Night Market at Karon Temple is well worth a visit. All in all this was a fantastic holiday, the place, the people and the weather were awesome. We shall return to Phuket one day and were sorry to leave Best Western and its excellent staff. Stayed here for 6 nights using my husbands rewards for Best Western. Had an enjoyable stay, we had a car which we picked up at Phuket airport, easy to get around as this hotel was a great base for visiting all of the island. A few lovely beaches not far away such as yanui beach which was quieter than Karon and nicer for swimming. Used mozzie spray but still got eaten alive would have been helpful for a plug in within the room which as we stayed at another best western in Phuket they did. Not sure whether it was because this place has lush gardens. Good location for a walk out in the evening for food. Buffet breakfast good and plenty of choice. Staff very helpful and pleasant. All in all a good hotel and we had an enjoyable stay would recommend

The hotel is close to everything, very convenient; the stay was very enjoyable and the buffet breakfast was great with plenty to eat. The staff was very friendly and as our flight home was in the evening, they provided a room for us to shower before we left.

We've just returned from 2 weeks in Thailand and stayed at BW Phuket Ocean Resort for 9 days, we loved every second! This hotel is a little gem, the staff are all so friendly and helpful they really couldn't do enough for you, they make this place very special! The hotel is centrally located and easy to get around, close to beach and local bars, restaurants etc we got a tuk tuk into Patong which was 300THB each way. There are 3 pools, 2 larger ones and a smaller one on the third floor, all with plenty of comfy loungers and parasols, towels also provided by hotel (towel card system to collect from hut each day) the hotel is set in lush greenery and spread over 5 floors (some of the steps are quite steep so no good for people with mobility problems) there is a lift from the 3rd floor only and staff help with luggage so we personally didn't have any difficulties but it could be an issue for some? The rooms are clean, spacious and modern with all the facilities you need, including great AC, fridge, freezer, (free water) tea & coffee making facilities, TV, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries etc! Large patio area with fabulous views of the beach, loved watching the sunsets! The breakfast was very nice (albeit a bit busy on occasions!) lots of choice and service always with a smile (loved the coffee man!!) we also ordered room service on a couple of occasions which was well presented and delicious! We had a meal in the main restaurant on our last night and it was one of the nicest meals I've had in a long time, the crispy spring rolls were divine!! All in all I would totally recommend this hotel and would return in a heartbeat, thank you

Just got back from staying me & my wife,it's a fantastic place,lovelly setting,immaculately clean through out,all the staff are very friendly,breakfast was fantastic too,it's central to everything to,ie the town,beach,kata,patong,will be definitely coming back has we both loved the place,this was the view from our room

The food, the service, the rooms were absolutely brilliant. Everywhere was spotless and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Beautiful views and the gardens are so pretty. A small walk to the beach and the best air conditioning that I have ever experienced in a hotel. If I had to pick fault it would be very minor, the tv channels were poor and the bar in reception could have been a bit bigger. Otherwise you cannot go wrong staying here.

We recently stayed here for 8 nights as a family of 5. It is situated opposite Karon beach & very close to shopping opportunities. There were 3 large swimming pools just perfect for cooling off & relaxing. The rooms were very spacious & cleaned spotlessly every day. The staff were absolutely beautiful. At times there were communication problems but it just added to the adventure.

So close to beach and beautiful view from our room, very quiet considering it's so close to everything, breakfast is amazing something for everyone, rooms cleaned everyday with fresh water, they do pool towels which is very handy, there is a kids pool which we didn't read so one happy child, spa is also worth every penny best massage I've ever had, reception staff every helpful is you need literally anything they can sort it

Excellently located at Karon Beach, this Hotel is near the beach, restaurants and amenities. Reception/restaurant and hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent room service. I recommend this hotel if you want to convenience of being near the beach but maintain privacy,and quietness despite being so close to Karon Beach amenities.

This is a nice hotel and to be honest we would difinitely stay there again. The pricing certainly helped when we were looking for accommodation however, the staff, the pools, it's location all factored in after our arrival. The one down side that we found was all the stairs to get to our room on level four. We were assisted with our luggage on arrival which was a bonus. It is not for the fainthearted but is a great little climb after enjoying the comprehensive buffet breakfast. The pool bar staff were tremedous and the pool side area was a delight on the hot humid days. Service was excellent however we did drink our own beer by the pool a lot. You area short walk to the beach, town and a short scooter ride to Kata and Patong (walking is an option to both and we did walk to Kata once it was a pleasent stroll)

My family with a little son relaxed in this hotel 10 days, the view from the room is great,sea view. The room was cleaned every day, thanks. We enjoyed the pools as well as kids pool, the water was clean. The breakfast was delicious, the staff there is very friendly and polite, especially my son liked the man who gave us tea,very kind person. The beach is near, shops are near. The taxi from the hotel to the hotel is cheaper and more comfortable than from other places. The only one disappointed moment from our trip was that i got dengue fever in Thailand but it does not connected with hotel, hotel is perfect!

Good location. The stairs are weird. Still bunches despite there is an elevator. Breakfast is decent & I used to like their mango smoothies. Cute balcony with ok view. I stayed here for a few days before I transferred to another hotel closer to Karon beach & with a better view. Better pools too. All in all ok

We spent in the hotel amazing week. Nice location,very close to the beach,and center of karon. People are sooo lovely. Rooms great,very clean,swimming pools very nice,but we spent more of our time at the beach. On breakfast everyone will find smt for themself.

Had a 2 week holiday and stayed at the best western. What a lovely hotel it was. The choice of 3 pools.poolside bar. The food was good in the onsite restaurant. The staff were very friendly. The room it self was big and spacious. Toiletries in room ie shampoo body wash razors toothbrush sewing kits. All quite handy. We had a room on the 4th floor which over looked the beach area. Laundry facilities through the gym room. Have to go up a few steps before you get to a lift on the 1st floor. Not ideal for very elderly people. but if you dont mind not having a view of the ocean then the rooms on the ground floor would be ideal.

The resort is about a 1 minute walk from Karon Beach and close to other restaurants, small stores and a 7/11. Our room was pretty simple but had everything we needed like kettle, tea/coffee, mini-fridge, lots of towels and blankets and pillows. The two pools and the pool bar was also great for relaxing if you didn't want to head out to the beach. Their restaurant food was also amazing - we made great use of room service and I would highly recommend their breakfast buffet! The staff were also so helpful and friendly and kindly organised our taxi transfers to and from the airport and were able to recommend good places to visit around the area.

we were happy to stay here for 5 nights. the resort is modern, accommodation is clean, bed is convenient. moreover the location of the resort is stone thrown distance from beach, shops, cafes and night clubs. I do recommend staying here. If you want to travel rent a car Orange car phuket. we easy booked a car at web site (quickly found in google).

The hotel is very comfortable. Staff warm, welcoming and efficient. Transfers are available to airport. Rooms clean. Restaurant has very good evening dinner menu. The three pools are very good with a bar available for the lower two pools. Massage available. Easy walking distance to the Karon Beach shops. Only negative may be for someone who had a disability. The suites of rooms go back up the hill so there is a short walk up two levels of steps from reception, to the lift. Would stay there again without hesitation.

Good hotel great breakfast if you like your tea and coffee waiter maung will ensure your cup is full. Try the hotel food at night good and reasonably priced. Hotel is about 5 mins walk to beach and main centre.if you like a walk take a stroll up to kata where you can even get a game if Dino golf.all staff very polite and helpful and of course free WiFi

This was our first stay in Thailand and i booked the rooms and for the first time used Alpharooms for transfers the driver who took us to the hotel was a lunatic driver who i think was on drugs when we arrived my wife was visibly upset as a commercial driver for 35 years in the UK i was shell shocked however the hotel was really nice with a good location a nice breakfast and pleasant staff the only thing i could gripe about was the pillows and sheets smelling a little because of the air con and humidity and the steps up to the lift which i had read about on other reviews ,the transfer driver who took us back to the airport was nice and drove safely shame on you ABC transfers

Recently returned from 14 nights here for our honeymoon and we couldn't have been more happier. The hotel is very clean, staff are very friendly and accommodating and the food is very nice also. Our room was very comfy and clean and had a lovely view across the lake to the sea. The pools looked lovely although we didn't use them as we prefer the beach. It's a great location for Karon Beach, close to all shops, bars restaurants etc, and only a short journey to Kata or Patong.

Great property at an amazing beach. Karon is among the cleanest beaches in Phuket and the cult is quite peaceful and comfortable for relaxing. Ocean Resort have all premium facilities including pool. Transfers and activities can be arranged from the hotel. If I'm visiting Phuket again, staying at Ocean only!!

We stayed here for 7 delightful days. While the resort itself is not a five star resort the service is. The place was spotless a little bit jaded but spotless. The staff could not be more helpful & polite. I have been to Thailand a few times & I have stayed 5 Star but the service at this place far surpassed any other place I have stayed in Thailand. The food was beautiful & well priced & the cocktails were the best I have had in Thailand usually I find them a bit hit & miss but not here. I would definitely stay again.

I had a great experience at the hotel. The rooms are well done and spacious, with an extra lounger for kids to sleep on. The balcony is also pretty big. The best part is that all rooms overlook the ocean. For best views you need to ask for the higher floor rooms. Staff is also nice and courteous. Location is also good, with the beach about a 5 min walk and Karon's most happening street also just behind the hotel. Everything that one would need is very accessible. The only drawback that I could think of is that the place is not exactly elder/handicap/infant friendly. Lots of stairs to climb to get to the elevator, unless you take one of the lower floor rooms. This is because the hotel is built on a hill, so the property has multiple levels and it is a trek to get the the base of the building from where majority of the rooms start. Just a word of caution for people travelling with elders with painful knee joints or very small infants. I would definitely go back to this place. For me it's a 10 on 10.

We stayed here for 14 nights in April. We booked 2 deluxe rooms that were good size, cleaned to perfection everyday, beds were quite comfortable compared to other places we have stayed in Thailand. For a 3 star resort it went beyond our expectations. Breakfast every morning was beautiful, it can be crowded but it is organised well by the staff. The staff where very friendly and greeted you when you arrived and farewelled you when you left.. Karon beach is a beautiful beach that took less than 5 mins to walk there. The only downfall is the pool area lacked atmosphere. It felt flat, i think that some music would help. The free hot chocolate was a hit with our kids. We had this gathering as to commemorate the 20 years schooolmates-vesary. Even though there's only little parts of member joined in with their spouses and children, however it's still a good chance for everyone to keep up the good relationship. Singing, pooling, chit chattinng, drinking water together made the gathering worthwhile. We've been provided with 6 meals over 2 days 1 night trip. There's not the fancy but home-cooked style dishes that console your hungriness, from day to night. Spacious living room, bedrooms with twin beds or double-decker upon your likeness, quite ambience for a good sleep though. Good location to view the scenic sunset. Affordable price.

Visited here with my daughter for 9 nights... Negatives... Main road position, building work next door, restaurant too small. Positives. Although main road, with doors closed, it cannot be heard, and our room was at the front, although building work, they don't start early, and finish early, although restaurant too small, be patient, they never run out of food :-) Loved our visit here, and really didn't want to go home, the hotel is literally 5 mins from Karon town. Our room was perfect for our needs, the staff are all amazing, and do all they can to help. The pools are clean with plenty of sunbeds, no need to get there early. Things to do... Big Buddha definitely a must do. 1200 bht (£30) taxi driver will take you wait and bring back, phi phi Island with breezy Andaman, booked via Mimi in Karon worth a visit around £50 each but worth every penny... Patong is around 400 bht each way by tuk tuk. Will be sorry to leave and I hope to return... Oh and the night market at Karon temple worth visiting too lots of bargains to be had.

Hotel is nice, staff are hit or miss, breakfast is very busy regardless of what time you go but staff work hard to keep it all replenished. We were at the back of the hotel up many many steps and steep slopes. There was a lift but it took forever. We did enjoy our stay here, the cleanliness is very good. The surrounding area is very nice and has a stunning beach.

We lived our stay here. Walking distance to beach, shops restaurants. The Resorts own Restaurant food and service awesome. Breakfast best I've had in Asia. Pool with bar awesome. They sent flowers and fruit to my room on my birthday which happened to fall during our stay. Very nice

Firstly, the staff are very accomdating. Always pleasant and lovely. Rooms were exactly like the pictures on TripAdvisor. The rooms were a bit dated but very clean. They replenished toiletries daily. They provide to bottles of water each day. The aircon works perfectly and there's a balcony. It was a standard room, very spacious though, as compared to other hotels. The hotels restaurant was ok, breakfast was an average spread, nothing to rave about. It would be nice if more staff spoke English though

Its our 3rd time in best western phuket ocean resort in karon beach. They always makes us feel welcome and we get a good breakfast every morning. All staff are very friendly and polite, we ask for lower ground room everytime because a lot of walking going to a high level. Some part has been renovated and have bathtubs and also very clean swimming pools. we love walking so we dont mind if we walk a bit in the main road for food and shopping. we will stay again in this hotel next time we come back in phuket.

So from the time we checked in to the Best Western Resort it was good times,we couldn't have made a better choice in the place we wanted to stay .the rooms were nice clean and tidy with a balcony that has a great view over looking the pool. during our two week stay we didn't have one problem, the buffet breakfast is really great as they cater for everyone. the staff a so nice and friendly and always will to help and go the extra mile to make your stay an epic one.the beach,stalls and shops are a stones throw way ,the pool was nice and clean and the restaurant food was mostly Thia food and just delicious we tried most things on the menu and wasn't once disappointed.

We had high expectations after reading all the great reviews here and I can say the resort lived up to them. Great breakfast - even hot/cooked options that I wasn't expecting. Great lunches by the pool (with wonderful service too). Great happy hours. Prices are very reasonable when you expect hotel prices to be higher. Comparable to and even cheaper than many restaurants. Lovely spacious rooms with excellent air con. Very secure. Wonderful staff. We felt very at home. Gym is OK although the air con wasn't quite working properly/good enough and the equipment is pretty old. But better than nothing! Location is fantastic. Close enough to everything but far enough away to not be completely drowned out by the local nightlife. Even the construction next door wasn't that disruptive, although it may get worse as the building goes up. As others have mentioned, PLEASE consider making an area around the pool smoke free. The deck above the spa or even the entire upper pool area could easily be made no smoking as it is really unpleasant to have others smoking nearby. Also worth noting that there are a number of steps to reach most rooms. The resort is not ideal for those who are less mobile so be aware of that. But considering the cost of staying here, this hotel is exceptional value for money and i would recommend it and go back in a heartbeat.

Not long returned from a 10 night stay at the best western hotel. The staff are so lovely and helpful especially the restaurant staff who go above and beyond to help you . Nice clean rooms with bath and shower and we had a view of the sea. Full breakfast was included and very nice variety. Two pools and a pool bar as well as a bar inside (not well used) and a manned front desk. Nice location. Beachfront an easy stroll. A walk or short drive to busy Karong road and market. A 5 minute scooter ride to (very busy) Patong. Closest restaurants are Karong road but also a 5 minute ride the other way to (also busy) Kata. Nice location and nice place. Great value for what we paid.

Great hotel - room was clean, quite spacious, comfortable, had everything we needed - air conditioner worked really well! Housekeeping service was efficient every day. Bottled water in our bar fridge daily, as well as basic tea and coffee making facilities. Pools were spotless and pool area and loungers were well maintained. The hotel restaurant was extremely good - dinner was amazing, breakfasts had a good variety and something for everyone, clean, friendly staff. Reception staff were knowlegable and very helpful, nothing was to much trouble. The hotel is close to the beach as well as to restaurants, markets, shops, scooter hire, laundry, etc - but still quiet. Very convenient location. Lots of special little personal touches. Buffalo Tours were fantastic - met us in reception on the first day to organise all our tours, can highly recommend them.

just wanted to say stayed here for 2 weeks from the 8th to 23rd October lovely and clean beautiful people go out of there way to help free of charge as I burnt my leg they got me some antiseptic lotion and dressings as I'd been to vietnam and a bike exhaust on the pavement burnt me I was in agony and apart from a bit of rubbish and rats on the street had a wonderful holiday as I went at the end of the rainy season loved it as only way u can get cool the last couple of days were going into peak season and was 39*degrees photo is a view from room on a main road but still didn't spoil it

We enjoyed a most pleasant 10-day stay at the Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort whilst using Karon Beach as our base for shopping, swimming and sightseeing in the area. We consciously chose Karol Beach to get away from the bustle and noise of Patong. The rooms are clean and the facilities and breakfasts are good. Our first room was on what they call level 3. Unfortunately, the lift/elevator only starts at level 2, so there is the equivalent of 2 flights of stairs to climb to get to the elevator. Something to be aware of if you are pushing a pram or your health does not allow this. We immediately requested a change with a room on "ground level" being assigned from day 2. Only a handful of stairs from reception but similarly a handful or 2 of stairs to even the lowest of the different pools. Both rooms were spacious and clean with an excellent air-conditioner. There is a 5-10 minute walk on the flat to town and the beach is less than 5 minutes on the flat. There is also a new restaurant serving good western and Thai fare within a hundred meters of the door and overlooking the lake. Unfortunately, the sidewalks can be wet and treacherous due to broken and overflowing waste outlets and construction work. The construction companies are trying hard to keep the building sludge and silt off the sidewalk by repeated hosing off. The hotel buildings are showing their age (about 30 odd years according to staff) and our room twice required plumbing repairs (not of our doing). There is floor damage in reception, cracked and peeling walls, missing wall cappings and continual maintenance required and being done. Despite this, the hotel is not tatty but not up to western 3-star standard. In typical local style, the staff are cheerful, very friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff are predominantly from Myanmar with very few conversant in English. The noise from the passing tuk tuks and taxis blasting their sound systems as they pass in the street below during the wee hours can be irritating in the lower guest rooms. I would suggest a room on levels 3-5 if you can manage the stairs. The view over the lake to the sea is good too. Breakfast (included in our very reasonable rate) was extremely good catering for western, east and south-east Asian palates. There was also an excellent spread of fresh local fruits and salads each day. Suffice to say, due to its convenience and overall value offering, we would return to this hotel if we returned to Karol Beach.

Totally stoked to find we had a pool right outside our door. Very clean,very comfortable, polite staff, yummy cocktails (try the Ocean Colada). Lots of stairs for those who are adverse to a little exercise, I however loved running off what ever I had just eaten. Buffet breakfast every morning with loads of variety. Theres a viewing platform on about the 5th level for great sunsets. The only thing I didn't like was the drainage in the shower, it was so slow to drain that the bathroom fills up with water and any longer then about 8 - 10 minutes it starts going over the lip in the door.

This was not a pleasant stay, the beds were not clean, room was only surface cleaned, bath had a hole in it which had been patched, breakfast was disgusting. Would not return. Pools were nice and location good but the importance of cleaning and comfort let it down.

We arrived @ the wee hours of the morning, there didn't seem to be any grocery stores open just to get a snack of sorts. once all the formalities were done, to our rooms up a short flight of stairs, there were 3 of us adults. Basic requirements in the rooms. Minimal beverage supplied these can be refilled we needed, better to buy your own and a reasonable size cup too. Hotel bottled water is supplied one to one exchange. Good size fridge so get the fresh fruit. Air conditioner worked well. Housekeeping was great, she was polite. Renovations were happening though never heard any noise. There is a functioning laundry, make sure to get enough bhat coins cause it a long way and a lot of stairs to climb. Breakfast was yummy we looked forward to the culinary delights of both thai cuisine and other. The pools were lovely, i miss them!! We were met the a tour agent as part of our package, it is cheaper to go other agents down road (heaps) after all we all end up at the same place to wait. We had good transfer picks ups and deliveries, however there is a lot of road construction, delays??. Great restaurants and street vendors..

I have stayed here three times, the first time in October 2006. The high standard has never dropped. Built into the jungle hillside and facing the beach and the beautiful sunset this hotel has everything to offer the discerning traveller. With three pools, excellent restaurant and 24hr reception you can be assured that your stay here will be comfortable, secure and enjoyable. This hotel is ideally situated for anyone who wants to visit all the local towns and attractions, or just to lounge on the beach or around the pool. The breakfast is excellent and the service from all of the staff in the breakfast room is second to none. Upon noticing that I have stayed here before, the staff sent me up a platter of fruit with a very sweet note welcoming me back. So yes, on my future return to Karon I will most certainly stay here and highly recommend that you do too! Please note that this hotel is built into jungle. There are lifts, however some steps must be climbed. If you are very elderly or disabled please ask for a room on the lower floors, however do not let this put you off booking here!

Step by step to your comfortable appartments! Great service and friendly staff. Pools at the floors in the open air, Thai massage and 5 minutes walk to the beach help you to turn the heaf off. Varied restraunts and caffes are closely in 5-7 minutes around

The staff were all very polite and helpful.service in all areas was excellent. Breakfast was of a high standard every morning and the wait staff always greeted everyone with a smile. The swimming pool areas were always clean and tidy with a great poolside bar.there is a self service laundry room that you can use for 40 bhat. A safe in each room and good air con.An adequate gym area. And smoking areas.the rooms are cleaned very well every day by the polite and loverly house keeping team. There is a 7/11 store just down the rd.the hotel staff made us all feel very welcome from the time we arrived to the time we left.thank you all for a wonderful stay and experience. If you're looking for high end, flashy accomodation this place may not be for you but if you are seeking very affordable, clean, comfortable and centrally located accomodation with beautiful clean pools, views of the ocean, friendly staff and a super breakfast then this is the place! There are a few renovations taking place but it did not bother us at all during our stay. If you have mobility issues this place might present a challenge as there are lots of stairs but if you are like us and seek to burn off your massive breakfast the steps are an added bonus. ?? The grounds and gardens are beautiful. The only criticism is that the towels are really due for an upgrade and possibly bring the pool table a bit closer to the lobby as it's really inaccessible where it is currently located. Thanks for a great stay, we would definitely return. ??

Rooms we're accomodating and the view from the balcony was amazing, only one thing could make it perfect more covering over the balconys for the rainy days. Staff we're amazing, breakfast brilliant, grounds immaculate. Best value for money, shops and beach so close. Some rooms had a few stairs to climb but after the meals we ate we needed the exercise. Would come again.

We spent several nights at the Best Western and found it perfect for our needs. Central in Karon (5min walk to the beach). Nice clean rooms and wonderful, friendly staff. Great service. Would definitely return.

The room was large and comfortable, air con worked well. Was always kept clean and tidy. The staff were always helpful and very friendly. The hotel is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets and just a 2 minute walk to the beach. 5 mins to the bars and restaurants. Would definitely go back.

We had the best time ever staying at The Best Western. The staff were wonderful and helpful and very friendly. The hotel was clean, cool, comfortable and most accommodating. Pools were clean and great temperature, Staff Friendly and very helpful. House keeping polite and discreet. Good speed Wifi great coverage.Air Conditioner works very well in each room. Large Fridge good room layout. We paid for late checkout will be back next year

We recently spent 7 nights at this resort and to say it was a pleasant stay would be a serious understatement! The staff are friendly and helpful! The resort accommodates your every need, whether vacational or business related! The buffet breakfast is delicious and the pools are perfect! If I am forced to give one negative comment, it would be towards the Spa, not the best massages we have received but then again nothing can beat the Spa at the Royal Sun Hotel in Swaziland. ??

Lovely hotel great pools would stay here again. Breakfast is really good 2. Also all the food and drink we have round the pool and room service were also really good. Had a few massages which we good but not as cheap as u would think

Had sea view. Studio room. Cheap room lovely modern feel. Pleasant staff. Had restaurant. There are renovations do day time noise . but was away from our room so all good . 5 min walk up beach and shops.

We stayed there for 4 nights and it has been an amazing experience. The staff are awesome. They are always available to assist. The room is spacious. Breakfast was great. Nothing to complain. You need to walk a bit to go to the beach or to the centre.

We had done spot booking so our options were limited.We stayed for 3 nights. The cleanliness was ok. The best point was the location. We opted karon to stay away from the crowd of patong which was just 15 mins aways. At the footstep of the resort you will find the bike rentals which was so beneficial for us. The food was good . It gives one of the best views on the top floors . Their hospitality also has to be appreciated. Overall it was an average and a good stay.

Stayed here for 10 days and enjoyed every part of it. We had two rooms next to each other with our adult children next to us. Lovely clean rooms with everything needed. Buffet breakfast was excellent with great friendly staff, pool was gorgeous and gardens well kept. Restaurant food was delicious and loved the coconut cocktails!! thank you

We had to checked out of your hotel on day 2 due to some unbelievable experiences we have had. 1. Wake Up Call – staff failed to wake me up at 2100 Hrs as when inquired was informed it was s system issue. There was no manual record made on the register for a wake up and system was used as an excuse. 2. Sugar – Provide only 02 pack of sugar. When asked for extra and the staff yelled and said extra sugar you need to pay extra money. Extra money for just 02 small satchels of sugar ?. Unbelievable and we just could not believe it. 3. Both rooms had Mosquitoes. We requested the reception to spray the room while we were out but this did not happen in spite of reminding twice 4. Request for some ice after 2300 Hrs and the answer was no as the kitchen had closed. Even if the kitchen was closed if staff wanted he could have got it from the kitchen Some of your front line staff are not professional and just don't care for the customers

We moved hotels from Baumancasa to Best Western and it was the best decision. Facilities were great. Staff friendly, except for the bar lady at the pool (very miserable). Food was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Brilliant! Cheap! Everything you would want! Not much else to add, but for a cheap resort, this has everything you want. We had a "superior room" which was more than ideal for a couple like us, we were hardly in the room, and when we were at the hotel, we were pool side! Includes buffet breakfast, which was beautiful everyday with a huge range of food options. The staff at the hotel, whether it be restaurant staff, room service or receptionists were all helpful. There was a sign to hang on the door if you wanted your room serviced which we never hung on the door, but they came and changed our bed sheets and towels anyway. So to have fresh sheets and towels everyday was luxurious! The pool area is clean and tidy, and lovely laying next to while having the odd dip. It has pool side bar and restaurant which is all bought to you while your laying next to the pool. Its 5 mins walk to the local Karon area which is a great location, and has great views of the beach. All this for a very very reasonable price. Why pay more when this has it all.

Stayed here on our holiday in July 2018. Thank you for perfect service and all the friendly smiles and greetings each and every morning! The reception was extremely helpful when I had to phone to someone that wasn't good in English. They go out of their way to give the best service. The restaurant had delicious food and we had room service every day and we had no complaints and also very fast. We also made use of the Spa and well worth it!! We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks in June, I would rate my overall experience as just average. Not particularly amazing nor particularly bad, just OK. Good Points Location - A short walk from the restaurants in Karon and the beach Polite Friendly staff Breakfast - Always managed to find something to eat Nice sea view from room 1434 Helpful reception staff to book trips Bad Points Lack of lifts - Wasn't a problem for us, but I imagine some would find this problematic One pool closed - We were not aware of this prior to arriving, not too much of a problem as there were 2 other pools to use, but as you can imagine the renovation work was very noisy, not what we really wanted when trying to relax Constant power cuts - Power could go off for several hours at a time Close to a busy road, tuk tuks playing loud music would often wake you up during the early hours Very thin walls - We could here conversations/TV from next door! Would I go to this hotel again? Probably not, but we had a great time in Thailand

Shuttle service was waiting for us when we stepped out of the airport. For the whole ride (over an hour) the driver didn't say a word to us. We arrived at the hotel and check in went smooth, our luggage was taken up to our room. We were on the 3rd floor, but you need to climb up two stories before you get to the first floor elevator. It's a little inconvenient, but nothing to bad. Restaurant is overpriced. We went in for a beer to take to the pool, then decided against it and went to the tiny shop next door to get a beer twice the size for half the price, then took it back to the pool. When we got to our room, there was a housekeeping cart in front of our door. We found black hairs on the floor and the patio as well as broom bristles on the floor in three different places. Two lights in our room did not work. Their wasn't separate shampoo or conditioner, just a liquid dispenser that was labeled "soap and shampoo." We called down to ask for ice and they wanted to charge us $2 for it. I did not know if this was a standard, so I bought it. One of the pools was out of order and construction was going on outside of our room (within the hotel) every morning and day. We were not aware this was going on and were disturbed by it many times. The next day, the housekeeping cart had not moved and actually stayed outside of our room for the entire time we were there. We were only given 2 bottles of water each day. When we returned that day to our room, it had been cleaned, but when we moved the pillows, the fitted sheet had black ink drawings all over it. They were extremely visible and were the size of two full pillows, which were ironically, put right over top of the markings to try and hide them. There is no way that these could have been missed by the housekeepers. We called to get it changed and it was very quickly. There were still hairs and broom bristles in our room. The night before, we had broken a glass by accident and scraped up all the glass into a corner as to not cut ourselves. The next day, the pile was gone, but under the bed was a ton of glass the was not cleaned up. It was obviously not checked. We walked down to the lobby and on the way asked a housekeeper for more water and she raised an open hand in front of her face and looked the other way, rudely ignoring us in front of other guests as well. We were shocked. Do not stay at this hotel. They have no customer service, there restaurant prices are overpriced, they do not inform you of renovations or pool closures. The housekeeping staff does not care about there jobs at all. We did use points for the two nights we stayed and I expect them to be returned as this was one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a hotel.

I love this hotel because it has big territory for walking and big beach and long marina for seating and walking and having sun bath.It was good hotel for us the room was so clean and the staff are so friendly with us

Location is good with good food. But the rooms are not spring cleaned. Hated to use a tub that is not tidy, and linen not changed frequently. It's worse if you are staying for a long time. Towels are already brown from being white.

The Best Western on Karon beach is absolutely fantastic. They had complimentary drinks (that were absolutely delicious) ready on arrival. Staff is very friendly, breakfast was delicious and free with our stay. Also had a decent happy hour deal on cocktails (also great). Location is perfect, a short walk from the beach which is visible from most rooms. Pool is very nice, had pool-side bar. Rooms are air-conditioned and nice as well, include a nice little sitting area out front. We were there for 6 days. Also had complimentary coffee/tee and 2 waters per day. The hotel reception was amazing at coordinating our day trips and were overall very helpful/happy. Definitely recommend.

Wow stayed at this hotel for 19 nights to escape the aussie winter for a few weeks. Great team running this place everybody from the front desk staff,cleaners,waiters, etc, etc, etc Great food at great price the 2 massage ladies were awesome always left happy even without happy ending LOL.I did not expect much for the price I paid but was spoilt for 19 days and did not want to leave wiil be back hopefully next year. We stayed at the Best western hotel to celebrate my birthday. The location is excellent with the beach accessible and amazing views of the sea when enjoying your meals in the restaurant. Our room was upgraded to a poolside room after discovering a problem with our original room. The staff could not do enough to help and were friendly and keen to make our stay as enjoyable as they could. The maid service also created a message out of flowers and foliage wishing me a happy birthday. I plan to visit again as it is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in when visiting Thailand.

My husband and I were first time travelers we stayed in this hotel for 8 days. From Day 1 up to Day 8- the bell boys, front desk staff - Chutima, Patthamawadee,Watchiraporn, Jolly Ann, Pornpiron, the male front desk staffs at night, all the kitchen staff who looked after us all the time-making sure the spoon is available for us to enjoy our breaky, the housekeeping girl-who would just smile and do what I ask to replenish in our room and last the pool and the laundry staff who never get tired of changing our pool towels and clothes for washing/drying, the environmental -maintenance team for ensuring hotel always very nice when you go home after a day out or tour. We would like to highly recommend you all for an excellent customer service!, For going the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. My husband and I stayed for 8 days in this hotel which was booked thru travel agency. We absolutely love it! The staff are helpful, keeping the place tidy and clean everyday. We stayed at room 1521(few steps from the 2 main swimming pool). The bed is so comfy and big, with a safe and balcony. If you are keen to have better views, you can opt to stay at upper level but will need to climb up or use elevator (only up to 4-5 floors). Buffet breakfast has extensive options and will be open from 6:30am-10am. You can also use their coin operated laundry or have it done by the hotel. They also have spa/massage services available at the hotel. A short walk to Karon beach and town. Best value! ??

We had the pleasure of staying 8 days. Upon arrival we received a complementary fruit juice. Check in was very quickly. Room was good with a nice view. We surprised the front desk on our first morning with a hamper of South African snacks. All the staff were very friendly. For breakfast you have a huge selection of food to choose from. Rooms are cleaned every morning. You also get 2 bottels of water every morning, tea, coffee, sugar etc. They also provide toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, body soap, tooth brushes and toothpaste, clean towels, shower caps and rasers. Loads of swimming pools?? Beautiful gardens???? Got a little vase with flowers and a fruit platter for my birthday... THANK YOU BW????Hotel is less than 5 min walk from the beach. Shops are very close by. Taxis and tuk tuks are right infront of the hotel. There's a clinic next to the hotel in case you really need to see a doctor. Karon Night market is also walking distance. What I loved is that you can walk in the streets at night and still feel safe. Thank you to all the staff there, especially the older bell 'boy' We decided to give whatever Baht we still had left to him as we left to say thank you. WE WILL DEFINATELY COME AGAIN.

Stayed at many resorts in Thailand but this one is the best the staff is friendly and not racist first we where given room at bottom when requested for Top floor they changed as requested also the checkout time is 12 pm when requested if we can checkout at 1pm they where fine with it since we checked in at night 10pm

This has been my third visit to Phuket and I have stayed in various hotels but the Best Western Ocean Resort is by far the best value for money. Staff very friendly, buffet breakfast is excellent and the service fantastic. Will definitely stay there again.

Just returned from 2 weeks and what a great place this is. Great choice at breakfast and no rush to finish.good swimming pools plenty of sun loungers free towels for the pools and beach.5 mins walk to beach and shops and restaurants.rooms all had safe and air conditioning and a fridge. My family and a friend's family stayed at the Best Western in Karon for 4 days. The check in and check out was fast and happened without fuss. The rooms themselves were clean and spacious with a balcony. Though, oddly, they were cleaned around 9.30 in the morning. Not that we were complaining, we were out of the rooms by 8.30! There was a good spread at breakfast and taxi and car/bike hire were easily available. I saw people complain about the number of steps people had to climb to their rooms, but ours was on the second floor, so no worries there. The only grouse I had was that the beach is a little while away. You have to walk at least 10-15 mins to get to the good parts of the beach. Otherwise, a good place to stay with families.

We have just come back from 10 incredible days in Thailand. We stayed in a sea facing room which was clean, comfortable and met all our needs. The pillows were great. They let us check out late on our day of departure. I LOVE the pools!!!

My husband and I stayed at best western from 9th to 23rd of April and we loved it. We arrived early morning and the wonderful reception staff told us our room was already for us which was brilliant after a long journey, we had requested a top floor room which didn't disappoint. 5th floor ocean view was stunning yes there's a lot of steps but not has many as we first thought and it was so worth the view. The room (4135) was big and well maintained our maid was always happy and smiling she was a pleasure to open the door too. All the hotel staff were happy and very helpful and are a credit to the hotel.The only thing we both could find a small fault with was The breakfast it was a little limited and could get very busy. The hotel is in a perfect location set back from the beach but only a short walk maybe 5 mins and only a few minutes more to reach the main street with all the bars and restaurants. This was our second visit to Thailand but our first to the best western and we would highly recommend, we look forward to seeing and staying again Anita and John Smith

We stayed for two weeks and had an amazing time. The hotel stay was excellent from the moment we checked in. The front desk staff are very attentive and polite. There is a small bar in the foyer which also sells snacks and soft drinks. Free coffee is also available in the foyer and there is a tour service. The room was spotless and fresh. We were in room 4226 which was up quite a few stairs however the view was amazing. The balcony was nice and big and was a great place to have a beer and take in the view. Room service was prompt everyday and they did a thorough job. Basic toiletries are provided. There is a good sized fridge in the room plus tea/coffee making facilities. No mini bar provided. The breakfast was good with plenty of variety. We went for breakfast between 7 and 7.30 every morning and there were plenty of seats. The only downfall was on occasion we had to share with strangers but it is just a personal preference not to share. I have been to Phuket 13 times and this is about the only hotel I have stayed at where people choose to have dinner and lunch in the restaurant. The restaurant staff very lovely and always smiling. The prices are very good and there is a nice variety of dishes to choose from. There are 3 very nice pools which are well maintained and there is plenty of seating. One of the pools on the lower level has a pool bar. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach and Karon shops. You can book airport transfer at a very reasonable cost. Couldn't have asked for better.

We have stayed in one of the family suites and it accommodated four of us just fine. Breakfast was very good. We mostly used the lower pools as they offered better sun protection. Have ordered few drinks in the bar. Also ate pizza in the restaurant for dinner. The service of staff was great and above great. It was a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Karon beach, depending on how lucky we were crossing the busy street :) Thank you !

We have just returned from spending 2 weeks at this hotel We had requested a low floor room and were in room 1516 which was perfect ?? next to the pool !the room had great air con / free safe / large fridge with ice box /toiletries / and good WiFi .the only negative was as there was 3 of us in the room storage space was limited but it was not a big issue The room was cleaned every day and pool towels were also available there was always plenty sun beds which had comfy mattresses and parasols The staff at the hotel were lovely and always friendly and helpful special mention to the lady at the towel hut (sorry never got her name ) but she always took time to speak to us even though her English was limited ??the breakfast buffet was good always plenty choice for English food and also some Thai options to try We never ate in the restaurant at night but we did get room service and the pad Thai was excellent ! It's a short walk to the beach and town and although the hotel sits on a main road the security man always stopped the traffic to help you across . Overall we had a great time there and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend. ,!

My daughters and I stayed for a week. Great staff. Great food. Great location. The rooms are a bit dated, but I highly endorse this property. Easy walk to the beach and the shopping district. Short ride to Patong.

Spent 5 nights here with my sister on our first stop in Thailand. This hotel is amazing, from the delicious breakfast buffet (so many options), to the lovely, polite staff and clean facilities. With three pools, a fitness centre, spa and WiFi, there's always something to do here and the resort is only a few minutes walk to the beach and Karon shops. So much within the area and not too far from Patong etc as well. The room we had was lovely, just the right size and came with everything we needed including fresh drinking water everyday. The restaurant served great food and cocktails for very reasonable prices! Perhaps the only downside was that smoking was allowed everywhere around the resort - not too pleasant relaxing by the pool with a couple people smoking around you, particularly as non-smokers. Not a huge deal as we were at the beach/exploring most days though. Overall, we had an amazing stay here and it was in a perfect location for what we needed! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and helped us book a tour and provided information when we needed. I would definitely come back! You don't get what you pay for - you get so much more!

We spent 3 fantastic weeks at Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort. All the staff members where friendly and helpfull during our stay. The room that we was given was perfect, clean, tidy and in the shade of the hot sun. The pool areas are well kept and are always enjoyable for relaxing by them. The surrounding gardens at the hotel are well maintained and are a delight to experience. We tried many different restaurants during our stay, but if you want to eat pizza then the hotel restaurant had the best pizza in Karon. Not far away, only a 600m walk you will find Karon Beach. Directly outside the hotel there is a taxi rank and those working from there are always on hand to make sure your trip whetever it may be is made comfortable. If we were to return to Karon I would definately stay here again. Thank you for making our stay with you an enjoyable stay.

My sister and I have one more night left at the BW Phuket Ocean Resort. We have thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights here. We have been staying in a superior room which is decently sized, with excellent air conditioning and a big balcony. Complementary water is supplied everyday alongside tea and coffee. The breakfast buffet is good with a wide variety including fresh fruits, cereal and hot food. We made good use of the room service as well, and had lunch a few times. All the food was very nice and, while not the cheapest, it was still reasonably priced. The rooms are slightly outdated, so don't expect anything too modern or fancy.. but this adds a bit of character! We found everything to be very clean. The resort is a great location as it's only a very short walk to the beach or to the shops in Karon. All of the staff are so lovely and helpful, we would definitely recommend staying here!

In this hotel, you get a 5 stars service, for the price of a 3 star hotel. Yes, the room looks dated, but is very clean and everything works fine, good airco, good shower, good fridge, good beds and so on....and a very big terrace. I think, they wil update the rooms soon. Check in was fast and friendly with a glas of juice.. We arrived 1 hour before check in time, and the room was ready for us. Here there was a negative point, Our room smelled very strongly of cigarettes and we are non smokers. But we could change to another room and this was OK. They brought us orchids and a plate of tropical fruits for apology. A kindly touch. In the room, you have everything you need, a lot of toiletteries as soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, shaver, cotton swabs, sewing kit...., hairdryer, waterboiler, cups, glasses...Everyday, you get 1/2 liter water per person and free tea and coffee. And if that is not enough, you can make yourself a cup of coffee, chocolate, capuchin...for free in the lobby. Free towels for the swimming pools (there are 3 pools), that you can change whenever you want, a bib with a lot of books, even the possibility to weigh your luggage, excursion desk and a very good resto!! We booked half board and we can recommend this! The breakfastbuffet is just good, but the dinners are excellent. When you book half board, you can make your choice à la carte from the whole menu, for a 3 course menu, so 1 appetizer, 1 main and 1 dessert and a free soft drink included. Portions are very big!! Everything is well presented and very tasty. There is a big choice of western (steak, cordon blue, salmon....) and Thai dishes and a lot of Italian food as pizza and pasta. I can recommend the seafoodsoup, just delicious, The salad with seafood is very tasty too. And the pineapple with seafood is a beauty. If I have to give a negative point for the hotel, it is at a very busy road. You do not hear the traffic in the hotel or in the room, but it is dangerous to cross the road. In the evening, there is someone outside to help you. In front of the hotel, you can arrange tuktuk service for an excursion to the viewpoints and Phromthep Cape for the sunset, at a good price. The beach and supermarkets are a 5 minutes walking from the hotel. Public bus to Phuket town or Wat Chalong is very cheap and you can take him at 3 minutes from the hotel, at the roundabout. At Wat Chalong, you can take a taxi to Big Buddha. So it is possible to do some excursions on your own. And for ending, all the people working in the hotel are very helpfull and kindly!

I will start with the plus. The staff were kind and friendly, it took a while to check in but after that it went smooth. My baggage was very heavy but no problem, they helped me with it to my room for free. Of course I gave them tip. Pool, pools everywhere, the hotel got pools on different floors and I felt that it was never full to join any of them. You even get towels (not from the room but pool) l, there were chairs surrounding the pool if you rather decide to get that sunburn. The breakfast was okay, nothing special but the staff was very friendly and could speak English which is good (for Thailand). The negative is that I don't think the price match for what you get, the room I was in was pretty okay, not bad but really nothing special that stands out. Maybe I did bad research, but I kinda wished for more fancier compared to what I got. Plus side though is that you get a very nice view and big balcony. I will rate this just below 4 and over 3.

We booked the hotel in 1am for the same night after we almost fled our initial hotel. Just to be sure I verified with the reception that they had received our booking. Already on the phone they were so polite and friendly and told us to start combg. We arrived there at 2am and the two guys at the reception were really sweet and helpful! The check in was quick and they helped to carry our bags to our room(3104). The room itself was spacious and very clean, the balcony huge with an amazing view. The breakfast was very tasty, although the restaurant was very crowded at 9am, so we had to wait for 5min to get in. The pool area is great, they have at least 3 pools which we saw. And again the view and the overall location is superb!

This hotel has good ratings because the staff is excellent, the breakfast is good, the lobby nice with free coffee, clean rooms, and nice facilities. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the streets with restaurants and markets and is a close walk to the beach. The only down side to this hotel is that to get to your room you have to walk a ton of stairs. I feel I am in good shape, but wow, that was a trek up to our room on the fourth floor. Elevator only helps with one floor. It was a good trade off though. The price and services made up for the odd trek up the steps. Oh, the other up side to the steps was that every room seems to have a great view of the ocean and sunset.

We arrived early hours of the morning in reception and thought oh no this doesn't look good, laminate flooring that was looking worn, we was taken to our room and again we thought this is very dated. We go up in the morning opened the blinds and thought this is quite nice, very clean great view ok the furniture needs updating but we slept well. Breakfast was very good loads of choice brilliant staff and really tasty. The grounds are spotless with constant cleaning and pruning, sun beds were easy to find and none of the Spain 5 o'clock gang! Hotel reception looked better in the daylight but I would say don't be put off the staff are excellent so helpful. Overall I would say if you want 5 star refinement this isn't for you, if you want clean tidy friendly relaxed this will be the place to stay and we will definitely return. Karon is a lovely place great food bars and beach, we loved it!

We stayed for 2 weeks in October 2017 for our 25th wedding anniversary and feel we made a perfect decision. Rooms Pools restaurants kept spotless. Food very nice and at a very reasonable price. Yes there are plenty of steps but lifts available too. Free WiFi and free safes in the rooms also free tea coffee etc. Taxis on the door step and just a small walk to beach and town. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights from 17th January 2018 and found the rooms nice and clean. However they put the Mum and Dad in single beds but the son in a room with a great big bed big enough for four. There are 52 steps to climb before you reach the lift to take you to your floor so you have to be fairly fit. It is a long time since I have had to queue outside to get into the breakfast. The dining room is too small for the number of guests and the tables too near together. The food was varied and adequate. The swimming pools were good but the sun beds soon booked up. Overall the hotel was ok.

1 night left and have enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are fairly basic but clean and comfortable, on 4th floor we have a nice view of the sunset over the ocean each night. Staff are friendly and accommodating, 3 pools so you can always find a spot by the pool if you want a break from the beach and plenty of choices for breakfast. The location is good, just a short walk from the beach, bars and restaurants. There is a construction site nearby but I never found the noise of this to be a problem. In previous trips to Phuket, I've always stayed at more upmarket hotels, I would stay here again as it represents great value for money.

Nice breakfast, good room service, lovely rooms ( prefer upper floors ) and 3 pools. There is guite a traffick ( Patak Road ) and they are building in nearby. Doctor Sonita´s office is beside the hotel if needed. Billiard, table tennis and fitness room at the hotel were nice when it was raining :)

The Best Western was perfect with clean rooms with a tea/coffee station, lovely restuarant, warm and friendly staff...except for the stairs that we had to climb to get to our rooms. The hotel does not have an elevator, so everytime you went out you had to conquer those stairs. The stairs are in the open so you need an umbrella when it rains and also protection from the hot sun. Climbing up and down those stairs was a nightmare for my husband as he has a foot problem. Overall the hotel was in a quiet location, not far from the shopping markets, restuarants & the beach.

So day one and I'm trying to give benefit of the doubt. I booked an ocean view in September 2017 as a nice 3 day chill out after a hectic tour of Thailand and I jus wanted to relax as planned. The room allocated to me faces straight down a busy road with an active demolition site to the left of the road and overhead crane obscuring the view... I didn't expect the Ritz, just a middle of the road hotel.. The Receptionist claimed all the rooms are full but will try to relocate me tomorrow. No offer of reduced rate or any compensation package has been offered, and I don't think it will be, they just appear to want the quick fix and have all problems go away. On my experience today I'd look elsewhere.

We visited the Best Western in Phuket as my nephew was getting married so we had the whole family there, 9 of us altogether. The resort was clean, had 3 swimming pools, a restaurant on site and the people were very friendly it was close to lots of shops and just down the road from the beach. Across the road we could pick up a tuk tuk so everything was handy. If we went back we wouldn't hesitate to return here.

Lovely spot, great breakfasts, friendly staff, good food around the pool. Lots of swimming pools. Nice variety of guests. Our room was perfect and right by the pool. Free coffee etc in the lobby. Hotel fetches from the airport and it is cheaper than the taxi's.

It's a nice hotel, mainly an older crowd staying here. We stayed on the top floor, the road in front of the hotel was a bit noisy at night with tuck tuck drivers playing loud music. The rooms was a bit dated and the hotel overall need some renovation. The buffet breakfast was good and we enjoyed the free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby.

Recently stayed at Best Western Karon arrived New Years Eve and departed on 7 January. Hope is fine, pools are nice and staff are friendly and helpful. There was a line for breakfast forming most morning at around 9 so make sure you go earlier. All good (breakfast included) was great and prices are reasonable. The beach is a short 5 minute walk away. Only downside to the walk is the different smells from the open stagnant water ways, hold your breath. Definitely consider Best Western if staying in Karon.

As a resort in Phuket, it is a haven for good food and good beaches, the hotel Phuket Ocean Resort was, in my opinion, very good, not recommended for the handicapped because there are many stairs, the rooms were a bit old but clean and functional, and of course great sea views.

The staff is super friendly. The breakfast buffet offer a variety and include the Thai style breakfast. The rooms are bit old style, but a powerful air conditioning unit make up for it. We were in a low level room close to the kitchen and road and hence we were party to various noises from the road and kitchen smells. The wifi is brilliant and that made up for all. Pool and swim areas good and nice. Had a nice stay.

When we arrived it was early morning. We were given a complimentary breakfast while our room was made ready. When we were led to our room the room had not been cleaned. The bed was a mess there was dirty towels and dirty glasses. I had to go back to reception and we were given another room straight away. The hotel is in a good location away from the main strip but quiet and only a few minutes walk to the beach. The staff were very friendly and booked two excursions for us. The only thing is the rooms are a bit dated and could do with a bit of tlc. However our holiday was amazing and we would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the beach and strip of shops/restaurant. So it's slightly less convenient, but advantage is that it's quieter. Rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is okay. On the whole, fair value for money paid so long as you go in with your eyes open. Staff EXCELLENT. I bought some dried chillies and left them out in my room when I went to the beach. When I came back, realised the chambermaid had brought them out to sun and dry at my balcony. It was really very thoughtful of her and she actually took on quite a bit of risk upon herself. If it had rained and spoilt, she could have gotten into quite a bit of trouble. So she gave herself more work by having to look out for rain. Naturally I doubled the make up room tip for the rest of my stay. Front desk and restaurant staff also provide exemplary service. You should go in with your eyes open though, so a few points to note: 1. This is an ageing property. There are areas where paint is peeling, lichen covered etc. 2. Parking is across a busy road and not on the property itself. 3. It is a sprawling property built into a hillside, so a bit of climbing may be required. 4. The walk to the rooms is not always sheltered. Some areas are opened to the sky.

Fantastic resort! Good pools, great food/drinks. The rooms was clean, good bed and shower. If your going to be staying in karon stay here! The staff where very nice and even held our bags for 6 days while we visited some other islands

Comfortable beds, air con and fairly spacious rooms. The staff was great and even spoilt us by prepping some of the tuna that friends of ours caught earlier that day for dinner. Pool area is great for lounging and cooling off from the heat of the day.

Just back from 8 nights at this great place. The staff are all so polite, sincere and obliging. The hotel is located on a hill a 5 minute walk to the centre of Karon. It has 3 beautiful pools. Breakfast was included in the restaurant and plentiful with lots of hot and cold options. The poolside bar was great for drinks, snacks or lunch. Dinner in the restaurant was also an option we took up a couple of times. Again lots of choices delivered by lovely staff. The air conditioner in our room never missed a beat during our stay. Our room was serviced daily and was plenty big enough for us. WiFi worked every where in the complex and is free. We had a room at the side of the property which was lovely and quiet. Lots of steps but we didn't mind.

I had a few questions before arriving to this location and my questions were answered by email in less than a day. You can arrange private transportation to and from the Phuket airport for 750 Baht( $23.00USD) with the hotel. The staff was very helpful and made the visit special. The grounds and the rooms were clean and if you need anything just ask. Some reviews mentioned noise. The property is on a 2 lane main road that can be busy at night. Easy walking distance to the beach even though the location has great clean pools, and a few minute walk to the shops and restaurants nearby. Self serve laundry really helps so you do not have to pack a lot. I would return in the future.

Had a brilliant 11 day stay, the hotel is immaculate, the rooms are clean & tidy & the breakfast was good with lots of choice. The food round the pool bar & at restaurant was lovely & reasonably priced. But the best thing about this hotel is the staff who are so friendly & happy to help! We have just returned from spending 2 weeks at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast is plenty with many choices, but we did skip it towards the end, just to get a fruit smoothie for a change. Evening meals are really nice and reasonably priced with exceptional service from the staff. Front of house staff are also very helpful, especially when we had an issue with exceptionally noisy/bolshy neighbours. I didn't want confrontation with them, so rather than the hotel asking them to tone it down on our behalf, they moved us to a much quieter and larger room. Rooms, grounds and pools are kept spotlessly clean at all times. If we return to Phuket, then we would stay here again.

The highlight of this hotel was the well kept grounds that included three crystal clear pools. The staff at the pools and restaurant were excellent. Wifi speed and signal strength were superb even at the pool. The breakfast was ample and diverse, although the restaurant was hot and cramped in the morning. The location is noisy being right on a road with constant traffic, including tuk tuks blaring load music. This ruined the pool area for me, but I am more susceptible to noise irritation than average. The rooms, for the price, need an update, especially the bathrooms, but were clean with cold air conditioning. The front desk staff were ok, being more concerned with efficiency when denying a 1pm checkout. In fairness, I think they handle a lot of package tours and were pretty full, but they didn't communicate a logical explanation for the denial, which was disappointing.

The rooms are big enough to sleep two people comfortably. Would have preferred the rooms being segregated but saying this, we never had an issue sleeping as the room has air con. There are two massive pools which have a bar and a towel service. You get room service if you do not feel like venturing out. It is walking distance to the beach and nightlife. For people looking to keep fit, there is a park gym also within walking distance. You can take a tuk-tuk for 400Baht to the main party street of Bangla Road (5km). This is great as when returning at 3am you get a full tuk-tuk experience. The hotel offers a American breakfast with bacon, eggs, toast, beans as well as cereals and thai food. (Included in stay normally) The American breakfast was not great though. Weird stringy bacon bits, Strange looking eggs. This was not a deal breaker for me though as I enjoyed venturing out to try different places. We did get 2000 Baht free food though which we used for room service which was fantastic for the days you do not want to move.

Beautiful place and Thai people, what can we say, they were so wonderful! Loved every minute of the stay that I had to go back! The first time I went, me and my husband had a wonderful time, was so great to wake up to the fresh breeze of Andaman sea, having delicious breakfast right in front of it! Great treasure! Was great to see all the amazing staff that this great resort offers, everyone were so professional, friendly and were so so good to us, they even remembered me on my second visit! Which was very funny as I was traveling with my father the second time, as we stayed there they smiled at us, said they were happy to have me back however I could see there was a question mark in their face somehow wondering if I returned back with a new lover, I replied: "yes I loved it so much that I had to return back this time with my father as my husband had to stay home!" They smiled with that cute smile they have and told me "oh we were afraid to ask! " Haha! What a great time! Thank you also Miss Alliwayne for the assistance for my booking! I think this is a great hotel both for families and single visitors, comfortable, perfect service, friendly smiling staff. Three pools - always could easily find a place next to the pool. The food is good, I would say the restaurant is of an average price so if there is rainy it makes sense to have dinner in the hotel restaurant where local food is good as well as the pizza and deserts and the cocktails, at least all I tried was pretty good!

Very good hotel without being in the very centre of things. Walking distance of around 5 minutes to the restraints and a 3 minute walk to the beach. Pretty much guaranteed a brilliant view wherever your room is. Food is relatively cheap and is a very good standard, room service was ordered and with me with in 10 minutes and charged next to nothing for the service fee! Breakfast is okay, great selection of food but I suppose that's down to my own taste and preference! Was some maintenance work outside our room pretty often and a drain pipe that wouldn't stop banging but it really didn't bother us TOO much. HAS LOTS OF STEPS and even though it does have a lift it's a steep walk to the lift. So if yo have mobility difficulties probably wouldn't be ideal! However all the staff were really pleasant and can't fault the rooms and the air con was a godsend!

Stayed for 6 nights, and no problems whatsoever, the only drawback if you were elderly there are steep paths around the grounds, but there are is a lift to all floors. Great views from the balcony also, and a short walk to the town, but far enough not to be disturbed by the traffic.

We stayed here for 10 nights in October 2017, we stayed in room 3309 on the 5th floor. The room was always clean, the air conditioning worked a treat and the bed was very comfortable. The facilities in the hotel are good, free coffee machine in reception, good breakfast, nice pools with ample sunbeds. We could find very little to complain about, we arrived before 9am and our room was ready. The food at the bar at the pool was lovely, really tasty Thai food with plenty of european options as well, plenty of Chang beer also. Only criticism is that there is a lot of steps to some rooms and the main entrance you have to use the vehicle ramp, its a nit tight when a car drives there at the same time. Great staff, great hotel.

We have just been , this was the most amazing hotel , staff and can not fault anything. Stairs was not a problem for us as i am cripple. Food breakfast , dinner and pool , room service was fabulous i and my partner cant complain about anything . This was one of our best overseas holidays we had and will definitely go back. We arrived on Saturday 1st October 2017 at 8am. Luckily we contacted the hotel beforehand to inform them that we would be arriving much earlier than the standard check in time and so our room was ready for us on arrival which was much needed after such a long journey. Our room (1515) was very clean and was ideally situated near the pool area and other amenities. The cleaner who came in our room each morning was fantastic, very friendly and did a wonderful job. All the staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. We ate lunch on our loungers most days as there is a great selection of food available from the pool bar menu. The strawberry daiquiri is to die for. If you turn right outside of the hotel, there is a little shop 2 minutes away which is great value for money compared to the ones closer to the centre of Karon. If you turn left out of the hotel, Patak Road is only 5 minutes walk away where you will find loads of bars and places to eat.

Hi: I stayed at this hotel in 2016 and also between Aug 22rd to Sept 4th 2017. The Restaurant service for breakfast, Reception service, House maid service and motor bike security staff were pretty good. I am definitely recommending this hotel to my friends in Australia and look forward to stay there on my next holiday trip to Phuket's Karon Beach.

Stayed here for a week during end of September to beginning October. The resort is well-maintained and very clean, as are the rooms. Friendly and efficient front desk staff. All staff members we came across were really friendly and helpful. Our room was large and well-maintained. Beautiful views across the lagoon and beach from our balcony. Service excellent - also room service. Food was good, although somewhat monotonous (as breakfasts in all establishments are when one stays for more than a few days). 24-hour coffee station in lobby was appreciated. Wifi in room worked well and no problems experienced. Concierge service was good and assisted us on a number of occasions. We'll be leaving today and front desk allowed us a late check-out (15H00) as we are only flying out at 20H15. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We returned to the Best Western after several previous stays, it is the best value in the area, has several very nice pool areas, specious room with a great view of the sea and was very clean with products generously replenished daily. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and we ate at the restaurant on several occasions and were most impressed with the food and variety. We would definitely return for another stay.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my family. I loved the sleep quality, proximity to beach and staff. We were four people, they gave us rooms big enough. I would recommend for families. Pizzas for room service were awesome.

Ideal location conveniently located just a short walk to Karon Beach and the town centre. Restaurant staff are brilliant and so helpful. The hotel is in a quite part of Karon beach build against a hill. There is a small lake in front of the hotel and the beach/sea is right behind it. Most rooms have seaviews. The hotel has about 7 levels, but elevator is only going to the levels 1,3,4 and 5 because of the hilly terrain. To get into most rooms, extra stairwalking is needed. There are three swimmingpools and a gym. Rooms are large and very clean and has everything you need including safe, kettle and a large fridge. There is a balcony (my room was on the 7th floor) with a very nice seaview and villageview. Wifi is free and speed is above average. Breakfast is ok and the restaurant staff and staff in general are very friendly. Karon village center is a few minutes walk just around the corner. Do not expect fancy restaurants in Karon... most restaurant are pretty basic with almost the same generic menu everywhere (thai-food, pasta, burgers, pizza and steak). Hotel is very suitable for families with kids or people who are looking for a quite resort and a quite beach. Atmosphere in Karon is very laid back and relaxed, compared to other beaches , like Patong, in Phuket.

We are 2 couples 65+ we stayed here 4 nights we were well looked after the staff were very attentive. Good breakfast. Good WiFi. Lovely pools and always a place on a sun lounger. Good location 6 min walk to shops and restaurants and 3 min walk to beach.toiletries always well stocked.complimentary coffee and tea in reception.

This was a great place to stay with very good facilities and well located. We stayed in this resort for 7 days, we had a very good room with good air conditioning and a great view. The restaurant provided a great breakfast. There are three nice swimming pools and an adequate fitness room. A thru road has recently been closed so it is now a good walk to town but only a couple of hundred yards to the beach. The resort is sited on a hill so could be difficult to get around if you have mobility problems

We have stayed here many times and everytime it just gets better. We were given a lovely welcome by the staff, inclusive of flowers and fruit. After our first night I had an issue with our bed which was rectified post haste, thank you. The staff at breakfast are always the same, year in and year out and they recognised us straight away, were very happy to see us and even remember our coffee and tea preferences. Breakfast here is always enjoyable. In all the hotels we have stayed in Phuket, Best Western always has the best fruit! Mg (Maung), you are such an asset to this hotel. Your service is beyond expectations and your friendliness is very much appreciated. This hotel is very well located in regard to the beach and other restaurants. There are 3 swimming pools plus a kiddie pool. There are plenty of sun lounges in both sunny and shady areas. We have stayed in rooms on many levels here and all have been spacious, clean and with good air con. Out front to the left of the hotel there is construction going on to build another hotel. It is in the early stages at the moment. I'm sure this will bring a lot of concern to the hotel in the year ahead but once it is finished it will add another tremendous asset to the Best Western in that it will have shops and restaurants and also add easier access to the main street and alley's of Karon. We will still stay at Best Western simply because of the staff, the service and value for money. Thank you again Best Western and we look forward to returning in the near future.

This property is huge with around 240 rooms and is set into the hill at Karon. There are great sea views and lots of steps so if you can;t do steps make sure you book a ground floor room! The rooms are spacious and were renovated in 2008, however I found the beds to be pretty ordinary and the pillows terrible - they really need to replace those pillows for something way more suitable for hotel use. Breakfast was fine, plenty of variety, there's a coffee station in the lobby as well as 2 computer terminals for guests to use but the stand out for me were the staff. They were all very friendly and happy to assist wherever needed.

This hotel is great. Very nice views, good size rooms with air conditioning, several lovely pools with bar service. Lots of choice for buffet breakfast. All the food was good. Lots of super helpful, friendly staff. Massages very reasonably priced and wonderful. The hotel is close to Karon Beach and eateries, markets and lots more.

I booked my recent holiday at the BW Ocean Beach Resort based on Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed. A really nice hotel, comfortable clean rooms, great pools and very good food. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the beach, shops, temple markets etc. These things aside, what really made my holiday one to remember was the staff. We had a very nice week at this hotel,very nice breakfasts,nice clean room with a terrace. The bathroom was clean,we prefer a shower,not a big bathtube,but still ok. Three nice clean pools, and very polite staff. 5 minutes walk to the beach,around 10 minutes to the city propers. We recommend this nice hotel,if we return to Karon beach we will stay there again.

A very relaxing hotel with great staff. One pool was being refurbished which is great news for when the peak season hits. I highly recommend the fruit smoothies. Hotel is about a 4 minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes from shops and restaurants.

The staff were really helpful during our stay and they even allowed us to have a late check out. The hotel is only a few minutes away from the beach and the breakfasts were really good. It is really good value for money.

My wife and I stayed here for 10 nights while on a Thailand vacation and were very pleased with it. It was a great value for the room, which had a comfortable bed, plenty of room, and a very nice balcony. The hotel is a little dated but the grounds and multi-layered design of the resort (it sits on a hillside) are very cool, and the pools look like they were recently renovated. The staff was of course very friendly and professional. The massage therapists at the spa were terrific. The food at the restaurant was excellent and we found ourselves going back several times. Finally, the location is excellent as it is a short walk to the main street and to the beach.

Yes there are many stairs... but we were lucky stayed in room 1207. Requested a smoking room but didnt get it No big deal can still smoke on the balcony. The Bed was massive !!!!! Had to roll over 3 times to hug the wife :))) the breakfast was Ok , nothing special but , you dont go to Thailand to eat At the hotel.. pools were clean staff was friendly. Room was clean. Only thing that let me down was the shower it was a tub shower, requested and stand alone but No big deal again I got over it pretty quick.. Over all for the price was a good hotel. Very close to the beach maybe 100 meter walk . Can rent a scooter next door the man is a nice man, dosent need your passport just a photo copy and 3000 baht deposit . There is a tip box at breakfast I tipped every morning 100 baht not much for me but it all ads up for the staff who dont really make much and they are so greatfull .. Taxi service from the hotel to the airport was only 750 baht cheaper then getting one off the street .. its no versace hotel but for the price very happy :)))

I spent 5 days in this hotel. The hotel itself was very clean, had two nice pools and was located 5 minutes walk from Karon beach. It is a quiet resort and not the best for people looking for the nightlife, but it was perfect for me. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

we have stayed in this resort for 10 years in a row. I think it is value for money, great breakfasts, close to the town, 3 pools, the wait staff are so friendly ,the garden staff and the house keeping staff are too but the staff on the front desk need to learn to smile more and give a friendly "welcome" upon arrival. Its the little things that make a big difference. Again I will say, please invest in some new towels... Our first day there and our bath towels where threadbare and no longer anywhere close to white.

It was decent place with a great ambiance. The breakfast was great. There was no problem except for the language. Even the people who knew English could not be understood but other than that their service was excellent. The people were really prompt on providing service.

We stayed for 8 nights at the hotel and enjoyed it more than a previous 10 night stay at the Old Phuket Hotel. The hotel is a bit older, but its still in good condition, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were good, with a buffet and wide selection of western foods. We also had a few meal in the restaurant and around the pool area and enjoyed it very much. Security staff looked well after our scooter and was always friendly and helpful. Reception staff was also professional and assisted us in good English when required. My wife enjoyed a massage in the onsite spa and also supplied pleasant feedback. I can recommend this hotel to anyone that dont want to be in the hustle and bustle of Patong, but still centrally located within easy reach of all the action on the island. We stayed in room 3436 and had a good view of the ocean, the upper pool area and a bit of Karon town.

This was my third trip to Phuket and second time in Karon. I stayed with my three daughter aged 17,14 and 12 staying in two standard rooms. The location of the resort is great. Away from the hassle and bustle, but within walking distance to everything you need. The resort is clean and the staff very friendly and willing to offer any assistance when needed. The breakfast menu was what I expected before arriving. Yes there are MANY stairs but there is a lift. The rooms are not five stars by any means but this is not a five star resort. The rooms are cleaned daily and drinking water supplied. Things like shampoo and soap are provided and replaced when needed. There was little things like cracked tiles and a bit of rust on the fridge, but this did not effect our stay in anyway. The air con when on the night we arrived and did not get turned of until we left 8 days later and it never missed a beat. When you can get a seat by the pool it is a great place to relax. Wifi was available in all parts of the resort and it was amazing. Much better then what I have here in rural Australia. The free coffee machine is also a great asset to the resort.

Excellent hotel, nice and clean, big rooms, we had room on 4th floor with views looking out to sea, 3 swimming pools all kept nice and clean, fantastic choice of breakfast, but most of all the friendliness of all the hotel staff, best service from all, I have read up on this hotel before we booked it and people have complained about to many steps well all I can say is I counted the small steps to lift and at most I would say was 20 so no not to many steps

More quiet area of Phuket, perfect for families or if you want to be a bit further away from nightlife of Patong beach. Close to nice beach and a market. Good breakfast and 3 different swimming pools. I would say good value for money. Staff were very helpful.

Myself and sister stayed here for 10 nights in May. The staff are very friendly throughout the hotel and very helpful. The hotel picked us up from the airport 750baht one way for the two of us. The hotel itself is very clean, gardens are well kept and very well maintained. There are 3 pools no swimming after 8pm due to them cleaning the pools which is great to know they are also being maintained. Rooms are comfortable with working air con which is a god send. Wifi avaliable throughout the full hotel. Breakfast is great, good variety lf food with chef cooking fresh eggs upon request. We had dinner in restaurant one night and it was very nice too, there is a selection of thai and international cuisine. Location wise you are just 5min walk to the beach, 10min to centre of Karon where there are lots of shops, bars and restaurantes. Kata is about 40mins along beach and 30mins walking along path. Patong is a taxi ride away takes about 10mins to get there this cant be reached walking as there is no paths up the hills on route to Patong, safer to get taxi or tup tup. Taxi bay right outside of hotel. I would recommend going to see big buddha, Chalong temple, Phi Phi island, elephant sanctuary. We will most definetly be back to this hotel in the future.

We were really pleased with the location of the hotel, very hand to walk to the town, beach, and along the beachfront, also to the markets. Our room on the 3rd floor had gorgeous views, especially great at sunset. The air conditioning was brilliant, the room was spacious with good facilities and bed (slept really well) and it was to receive bottled water every day. We felt the bathrooms were dated though and could do with sprucing up and man, you needed a stepladder to step up over the side of the bath to have a shower. water pressure and temp was great though. The breakfast (included in our package) was lovely. The staff were all very nice. The pool up by the 3rd floor was really great. There are a few steps (as the whole complex is on a hill), even to get to the lifts, but it was definitely worth it, just wouldn't be any good for anyone with mobility issues.

The Best Western Phuket (BWP) is strategically located in the heart of Patong, offering the most accessible and reachable amenities at all times. During our stay in BWP, we felt the level of comfort required combined with the holiday atmosphere needed. The staff at BWP were at all times welcoming and smiling on all different encounters, a great help and rewarding when all staff can communicate and be helpful and very responsive. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and always maintained to that quality. Last minutes changes to our schedule, where we were required to extend, the GM (Jay Penno) at BWP was able to quickly accomodate for us at a very short notice, a special thanks. With no hesitation, I do highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Patong, Phuket.

I had a fantastic time in Phuket during my 2 -day stay & was very happy to stay at This hotel. It was lovely, with exemplary service, clean, great views of the fantastic swimming pools and ocean. The staff was very helpful, especially in making recommendations on places to tour in the surrounding areas. The hotel's location is within the proximity of several Seven Eleven stores, quaint little bars with great rock bands, massage parlors and quaint restaurants serving sea food & Thai cuisine, all which are a walking distance from the hotel. I was also happy that they have a gym so I got to work out during my stay. My only regret is that I stayed such a short time. Karon beach is fantastic, my friends and I have great memories. I can't wait to go back!

This is a dated three star property situated on a hill. So unless you are very fit to climb a few stairs, you can give it a miss. The hotel has three swimming pools, all clean and well maintained. They have a quite nice breakfast spread. The restaurant was not air-conditioned, however I liked the ambience and friendly service, Food is reasonably price, and of good quality. They place offers view of the sea. Beach is about 5 minute walk. Funnily there is an in-house cat.

I was staying on the fourth floor of this property for 3 nights. Really not a pleasant experience to climb the stairs few times a day, while temperature outside is 40 degrees. Really old property: dark and cheap lobby, furniture all over the hotel been used for years and years. Rooms are clean, all amenities are available. Just be careful, your neighbors can hear you as well as you can hear them. Breakfast is average but don't expect more from a three star hotel. What really disappointed me is that I was not able to find any single sun bed available by the beach by 10 in the morning, the beach was full. They do have two swimming pools which are nice, but if you are planning to sleep longer in the morning, forget about it, guests are in the pool by 7 am, music starts playing loudly by 9, as they do pool activities like aqua aerobics etc. Honestly has booked it by mistake looking at the nice images online and fake good reviews.

This hotel is built onto the side of a hill and has a lot of steps! Although there was a lift, this cannot start until many steps have first been tackled because, as the hillside rises, the hotel is set further and further back. This was a shock on arrival. However, we soon found an alternative way up with shallower steps: 65 of these to reach the lift, then up by lift to the 5th floor (top), then a further walk on an uphill walkway before another 9 steps. Our room was worth the hike: absolutely huge with two armchairs, a sofa bed as well as a giant double bed. There was a large fridge but no mini bar within it. There was plenty of complimentary water, but in glass bottles not to be removed. The view from the balcony was great and we loved sitting out there in the evening before bedtime. We loved the quiet pool on level 3. Unfortunately, one needed to collect/return the towels from below level one! The breakfast was very good, much better than we expected from a 3* hotel. The beach is a 10 min walk, including crossing a busy road. The sun beds were plentiful and cost 100 baht per day. We personally found the sea rather too rough for swimming. The waves were very high so we couldn't get into the water without being knocked down! This was no bother for some though. We did see rooms that needed no climbing, but these were accessed by going past the toilets and had no view. All in all remarkable value.

We stayed there for 3 nights. Here are some points to keep in mind: - generally looked rather old and poorly maintained - no ventilation in the bathroom. It was like a sauna every time we would go in - no tourist desk. Despite what the say in the website, there is only a stand with leaflets and a TUI rep (occasionally). The reception could arrange sth for you but it would be 2-3 times more expensive than the market (e.g. J.Bond island for more than 3.000BHT vs 1.600 we actually paid for) - receptionists not very welcoming, except from 1 that seemed almost embarrassed by her colleagues' behavior. - decent location. Not far from restaurants - on the +. Airco broke down but they fixed it even if it was late in the evening - breakfast was fine and plenty I guess for the 37€/night we shouldn't expect too much.

We stayed here for four nights while we visited Phuket. The location was good with a short walk to the beach and a little bit further to get to most of the restaurants and shops. The room was nice and roomy. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well along with the in room fridge and coffee and tea service. Two free large bottles of water were provided everyday. There were also three pools available with towel service. The only issue with the room was with the bathroom. The shower was inside the tub which had a an absurdly high wall that we had to climb in with a little difficulty. Additionally, no washcloths were provided (even after a request) and like many Asian hotels the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided in large containers that are re-used for each guest (we had no issue with it but wanted to point it out). The best part of the hotel was the included breakfast. It was a full spread with eggs, sausage, hash browns and other western breakfast items along with some Asian breakfast items. The best part was the large selection of fresh and delicious tropical fruit! Oh, and coffee and tea were served by a helpful staff. All in all I don't think you can go to wrong with this place if you want to stay in the Karon Beach area.

After a very long trip arrived late at night to be greeted by the night staff. Could not fault check in and settled in our room within 15 minutes. Although a little dated rooms have all amenities you could ask for. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Staff are excellent at Breakfast and greet you with a lovely smile. Plenty of variety at breakfast so alll are catered for. Just a short stroll to Karon beach around a lovely lake. I can highly recommend Best Western for value, friendly staff and location.

The location of the hotel was ok, quite close to the center and beach next to the lagoon. Staff was really polite and helpful. This was the first hotel in Thailand where I saw that recycling was used. There were at least two location on the hotel area where recycling bins were in place. I had a room with sea view. It was clean and quite large. The bathroom and the foyer had underfloor heating which was nice. Breakfast normal Thai -level - a lot of choices which was nice. The only "bad thing" was that the hotel was located on slope meaning that there were a lot of stairs to climb everyday. Please notice that this hotel may not be for you if you are disabled. Otherwise I can recommend it :)

Stayed there for 2 nights and I was reasonable satisfied. The resort had a peculiar architecture with rooms in different levels providing excellent views of the Ocean. The property is airy and spacious. The rooms were extra spacious. If they want hey could fit in another king size bed. The bathroom is where you start to realize the resort is somewhat old. It is quite dated. To our annoyance there was a bad smell coming from the water drain. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and it was also good, with lots of options. Good tasting breakfast.

We recently spent a week at this resort and were pleased with our choice. It's a busy hotel catering to groups in a nice location in Karon. Other reviewers have covered the the best qualities so we will add that room 1612 was close to the lower pools with a lovely shared balcony and an awesome view - the kind staff allowed us to look at a couple of other rooms first. We revelled in the early morning serenity of lush gardens and chattering song birds. We took the local bus into the Central Festival Mall in Phuket Town a couple of times - about a 45 minute ride that costs 35 baht per person each way. Catch the bus at the traffic circle in Karon, it's an easy way to explore the Island. Sorry I don't remember her name but the lovely receptionist who wore glasses gave us exceptional service! BW Karon is happy memory for us - thank you for everything!

We stayed here for 4 days ,firstly the location of the hotel is superb its just in front of karon beach means you just have to cross the road and you are on the beach,its a budget hotel but the cleanliness and facilities are the best,the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is amazing.It has three swimming pools with different depths on different floors which is the usp of the hotel.We would like to visit it again and would like to recommend those who want a quiet and budget friendly place to stay.

Stayed here in Nov. 2016 for two weeks, stayed in room 3209 on the 4th floor. Beautiful view of the lagoon opposite and also the beach. The hotel is in a great location just 5 mins from beach and 10 mins from the shops , bars and restaurants. It has 3 swimming pools and situated in a lush green area where there are lots of plants and trees surrounding the hotel. It has free wi-fi everywhere in the hotel. The breakfast is varied and a huge selection. The rooms are spacious and air conditioned (which is a must). There is a safe in the room , tea & coffee facilities , tv , balcony , toothbrushes , razor , soap , shower gel , shampoo & conditioner and they also supply 2 bottles of water per day all free of charge. The bath is a bit high and awkward to get into if you are on the small size. They also supply towels for the sun loungers (free of charge). The rooms on the higher floors have beautiful views but you have to go up a few stairs even to get to the lift and in the 30 degree heat during the day it can be tiring. In the evening it is so humid you only need to wear shorts and t-shirt and then its still hot. The area around Karon Beach is not too hectic and busy (which suited us) but if you take a tuk tuk into Patong (8km - 15 mins) there is lots more to do and much busier in the evenings, (Bangla Rd is worth visiting) they close the road for vehicles and it is heaving with so many bars , restaurants and clubs. I would recommend Best Western and would visit Thailand again.

We selected this hotel amongst other options for our trip to Thailand and after reading the reviews on here, I was not so sure I had made the right decision and my friends usually rely on me to make to run with such so was pretty anxious as we drove from the airport. The check in staff were warm, friendly & the process was done so fast and professionally that all my fears were allayed. The stairs that most people are concerned about are not that many (maybe on day 1 it seems like the rooms are up in the sky??. Our room was clean, had excellent views of Karon beach & the town and the hotel is located close to lovely restaurants and bars that have entertainment till late at night. The breakfast menu would do with a bit of variety & choice day on day but good food is a walking distance away. We loved our stay at this hotel and would have wished for more days.

Mixed feelings - not sure where to start. Some staff was extremely cordial, some outright rude. I'd put in prior request that I be given (if possible) the best possible room since we were arriving to celebrate wife's birthday. This they obliged, but then the room balcony's door wasn't functioning properly. Plus I also requested if some surprise could be arranged. For instance, Lebua at State Tower Bangkok arranged a nice little delicious surprise cake in the room. Guys here at Phuket said they would arrange a special bouquet. I would come to this part later as to what this was ?? The thing is that the property is extremely well located on Karon Beach and has great views of the sea from upper floors. Please note to reach upper floors though, one has to climb up some stairs. No elevator there. But the sea view is worth every effort. Property is beautiful and lots of swimming pools, which we totally loved. Breakfast was functional. The big negative was that we love drinking tea. And when we asked for sugar, tea etc sachet refills, we were told that this happens only once a day. SHOCKER!! Now we travel a lot. And this was a 1st for us. Believe me, that's what the front desk told us. Coming to the surprise bouquet, LOL. They arrange bouquet at reception area and not in room. Again, that's what reception told us. And we have to give back the bouquet for future use by hotel (see last attached pic). HAHAHAHAHAHA. So much fun....

Booked a great deal through Jetset Deals. Best Western have been professional, welcoming and friendly. Good size room with all the amenities required. Views from our rooms 3105 & 3106 are fantastic. We are only half way through our stay but so far:- Breakfast is great best to arrive before 7.45 as it can get busy but not a problem if later. Food is good and a slight variance each day. Staff are friendly and attentive. Pools are warm and towel service is great as you can take them to the beach and swap for fresh towels. Yes there are lots of stairs but we are fit and it helps to walk off all the delicious food. There is a lift that may help other guests. May not be very young family orientated due to stairs. Free wifi but you have to log back in every time you leave the hotel which can be a little challenging for non tech savvy guests. There are a lot of international guests, we haven't come across any other Aussies staying in the hotel yet. Other guests have been quiet and polite. Hotel arranged taxi to pick us up from airport for 750baht. Taxi driver was waiting for us with a sign as we walked out of airport. Karon Beach is soooooo much nicer and quieter than Patong. A great hotel, set into the hill over Karon beach, a short walk to markets and the beach. Staff were always cheerful and helpful. We got this a part of a package and could not be happier! Further from the airport than Patong, but worth it. Not as many tourists, but still fairly busy area with all the shops you need close by

Not very friendly when you check in. They looked bored with the whole process. Did not feel very welcome. Definitely past it's best in the reception area. First impressions not very good. Shame really.

This was my 2nd visit here in 2 years, this time for 2 weeks from oct 20th till 4th November, so just at the end of monsoon season and start of high season so the hotel wasn't overly busy, was nice, and would have to say it was slightly better this time, the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. 2 minute walk to the beach, 5 min walk to the main road, bars and restaurants etc, but only 300baht in a tuc tuc to the more busy and hectic patong. But back to the hotel, be warned, there are a lot of steps but worse than that, there is a lot of rude obnoxious Russians here. But if you can handle that then I highly recommend this hotel

The location at Karon beach is the best thing going for this hotel. The rooms are decent and clean. We got a room with the view of the lake+sea, though from the second floor it's not that great a view. Though being higher up means more stairs to climb to get to your floor. The hotel is constructed along the hill so the stairs seem unavoidable the way it's designed. Also the taxi service (Airport pick up and drop) provided by the hotel is quite good and at a very reasonable price. All staff from the reception to the restaurant and housekeeping were very polite and friendly. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast spread. I have been to other Best Western Hotels and I was surprised with the choices here. The same menu was on offer for all the 4 days we stayed and they were ordinary at the best. Coffee served was usually luke warm and to get milk you have to walk over to the buffet spread. Having small milk cups on each table wouldnt be too hard I would imagine? The egg station would be shut down pretty much by 10am even though the hotel claims its open till 10:30am. And the pastries on offer are hardly worth a mention. Overall I would say average at best.

The location was good, the beach is 10 minutes walk from the hotel and the staff were helpful..the breakfast was average nothing special.. they were so kind to upgrade our room that time which is very nice.I recommend you to rent a motorcycle so that you could explore the area better.

We were really pleased with the Resort. The room was nothing flash but was very clean, the bed was huge and very comfy. The location was ideal a short walk to the beach and shopping and restaurants. The pools are great.

We had a large air conditioned ( HRV type system) room which was serviced everyday, got 2 bottles of water daily ( complimentary) and safe to lock up valuables. T V which we watched only the news. The hotel has 2 big swimming pools and small 1 for children and they were all kept sparkling. The food was fabulous in the restaurant. Easy walk to shopping and beach. We would definitely go and stay at this Hotel again.

Clean rooms. Central to different towns. Friendly helpful staff. Nice food. Comfortable and quiet. Two great pools with third that we didn't use. Reasonable gym although a little cramped. Restaurant staff were very helpful and attentive. Wonderful place for families.

Home sweet home, away from home. This place was amazing. Once checked in, you literally don't have to worry about anything, just enjoy your vacation. I wish I knew about this place sooner! My room was located on the 5th floor, yes there were a lot of stairs but it was worth it! If you're not-so enthusiastic about stairs, make sure you request a room on or near ground floor. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a nice cold glass of juice and assistance with our bags. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a beautiful view of Karon beach. The bed was comfy and I got more than one pillow!! After weeks of touring, that meant a lot to me. The restaurant was open and the breakfast was AMAZING. It was the only place I could find with bacon. And they had lots of bacon! The temple market, nightlife and beach is only a short walk away. You can catch a taxi or tuk tuk to Patong in no time... 250 baht there, 300 back. Not bad. The lobby of this resort has a complimentary coffee machine. I found it right before I left, but the coffee is GOOD. They also let us check out late AND the watched our luggage while we took a day trip. Seriously, this place is amazing and they will do backbends for their customers. Staying here was the only time I actually felt relaxed. I never made it to their pools but they have three of them and beach towel service. There's onsite laundry... you can pay the staff to do it or there's a washer and dryer in the mini mart available to use! 40 baht for wash (bring your own soap or buy some for 20 baht) and 40 baht for the dryer. Taxi to the airport booked with the hotel was 750 baht which is pretty good considering the travel places charge 600 baht p.p. Everything about this place was amazing and I truly recommend it if you want a hassle-free vacation. Like I wrote before, I stayed in all kinds of hotels in Thailand. Best Western was the best. Don't take your chances elsewhere, it's really not worth it! Best Western staff: thank you for the wonderful experience! Keep up the good work!

A very nice and comfortable resort at Karon beach. Nice big rooms, good breakfast, 3 swimming pools at different levels, courteous staff. Definitely one of the better resorts at Karon. Very close to the beach, and not too far from Patong beach which is the crazy party area of Phuket.

This was our first stay at the Best Western, it was highly recommended by a friend. We were very pleased with the overall experience here, the staff were all friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean, and the airconditioning worked well. The breakfast buffet that was included with our room price was extensive and satisfying.The pool was always clean, and the staff helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, we could easily walk to the beach, a mini mart, and a temple. There is a taxi rank just outside the hotel (on the opposite side of the street) where we were able to catch a tuk tuk without delay. Be aware that this hotel is on quite a hill, and so some tour buses were not able to come right up to the door, but met us at the bottom of the hill. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel in quieter Karon beach area.

Location is perfect just around the corner from the main street. The room was clean a good size and a balcony looking out to sea. The breakfast had something for everyone and the staff were so obliging, even made me an omelette every morning. As there are many places to eat I only ate at the restaurant for evening dinner 3 times but every time was a pleasure and reasonable priced, cheaper than some of the local restaurants. The swimming pools were really good and as there are 3 they were never too busy. They had a system of giving you a card you used for s towel at the pool, meaning you did not have to use towels from your room, and you could swap this towel as many times as you wanted during your time at the pool.Then when finished get your card back for the next day, a good system that worked well. As with most places in Thailand there was a massage room once again no more expensive than the ones on the main street, but visible cleaner and safer. The rooms had a safe free to use, plenty of TV channels to suit everyone.

We enjoyed our stay here. In reading some of the other reviews, I think people are expecting a 5 star resort at 3 star prices. Yes, there are a lot of stairs. If you have a problem with stairs, ask for a lower room. We only had to climb about 25 stairs to get to our room from the lobby. That's the equivalent to about two flights. You do NOT have to carry your bags up the stairs - they will happily do it for you. Even though we had a lower room, we still had a nice view of the ocean and we were on the same level as two of the three pools. Our room was very large - with a HUGE bed! It was clean, in good condition, with a very nicely working air conditioner. There was a decent sized TV, a desk/dresser, a mini fridge, in room safe, hair dryer, two large umbrellas, clothes airer, three chairs, and a balcony with chairs and a table. The bathroom was large and well kept. You have to step up high to get over the bath/tub side to get in the shower, but there is a hand rail to grab if you aren't very steady on your feet. Bath products were provided. The shampoo and conditioner weren't the best, but at these prices, I was surprised it was even provided. You get two free large bottles of water every day. We thought the breakfast was pretty impressive for a FREE breakfast. Coffee and tea, several different selections of juices. A variety of both eastern and western choices. Cereal, pastries, toast, eggs, bacon, baked beans, hash browns, fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheese, soup, noodles, curries, etc. We tried two of the three pools and were very happy with them. They were all about 1.5 meters deep all over, so as short adults, we could stand with our head out of the water - a child wouldn't be able to. I don't know if the third pool had a shallow section. The two pools we tried were clean and well maintained. The hotel provides swimming towels. The location was pretty good. About two blocks - a very short walk - to the beach. There is literally a doctor / medical office right next to the hotel if you should need it. There is a 7 Eleven less than a block down. Bottle of water 7 baht, bottle of Coca Cola 10 baht. (Bring your own sunscreen though! Everywhere we went, a TINY bottle was like 8 to 10 dollars AUD). Right by the 7 Eleven there is a short cut through to the "main" area of Karon. When you use the shortcut, it's probably less than 100 meters away. (Look for the shortcut signs by the 7 Eleven. It's up pretty high, so we missed it the first time and walked the long way around). 24 hours a day there was a security guard out front keep an eye on the safety of the guests. We also felt very safe in Karon, but it was a nice touch to see this. If we were ever to go back to Karon, we would definitely chose to stay here again.

This was our third stay in five years, and the hotel hasn't changed in that time - including some basic maintenance in rooms (eg, a torn curtain in one, and cracking door panel in another), so you should be aware this is a reasonably basic hotel, but at only 40AUD or so in low season, you should be satisfied - you should expect a 3 star hotel. Its other disadvantage it that it built into a hillside and to move from the street level, to reception, and then even to where the elevator is to go up higher, you will need to go up a LOT of steep stairs (I mean, almost 100) - this isn't especially fun after a few drinks, and some people may really be unable to do this if they have mobility issues. So, take this into account when you book. That said - it WAS our third stay, and we knew what to expect, and I'm not complaining - there are obviously benefits with the Best Western! The location is really good, if you want to go into Karon centre for cafes/bars etc, its to the left of the hotel, not the right - to the right are a string of quiet little beach restaurants only. We went in a group and requested the rooms on the 3rd floor, directly in front of the second level pool, we could step out of our rooms and immediately be in the pool, with our friends booking out all 7 rooms, it became like our ""own" (we are nice and shared of course!) I didn't eat at the restaurant myself this time, there are too many options outside, but some of our group did and all found the food fine . Last thing - we asked for a late checkout as our plane wasn't leaving til 10 pm, for 700 baht we kept the room until 6 pm. The housekeeping staff were waiting exactly on time for us to clear out so they could clean up, so we were a bit rushed. Between our leaving the room and getting down to reception, the housekeeping staff rang down to say a water glass was missing from the room and we were stopped and questioned. The glass was in our friends room next door, so, no problem. Its only worth mentioning because at the same time, neither the housekeeping staff or the reception mentioned the blue tooth music speaker we had forgotten in our rush out, by the way it had been left right beside where the glasses were on the refrigerator. It was $200AUD. Our bad for forgetting it, but its funny to be stopped about the glass and no one told us we'd left a speaker! Oh well, I hope the cleaner sold it for some decent money ;)

We are currently staying at this resort! I have been reading numerous reviews of this resort over the last few months and everyone is complaining/commenting on the stairs! When I got here I was expecting I had to climb a mountain!!! It is nothing like that! People before complaining why didn't you all research the property first?? It's just stupidity!!!! The resort is on the side of a mountain! So of course there will be steps!! We are staying on the fourth floor and the view from here is spectacular!!!! I have been coming to Thailand for 7 years and hands down the view from this resort compares to nothing else we have stayed in!! I just had to write something as I am so frustrated by all the negativity!! Get some exercise people its good for you!! Also the staff are wonderful and we will be definitely booking this hotel for our visit next year!

Room was lovely with fantastic views, of the street, lagoon and the ocean. Even our son who was 2 floors lower than us had a brilliant view the same as ours. Even though there was a lift we still have masses of steps to climb and by the time we got to the room we were exhausted and sweating.

We stayed 14 nights & had a great view of the ocean from our room up on level 4. There are lots of stairs but there is a lift so we didn't have any issues with it but someone with not so good mobility might. Breakfast was a full buffet-cereals, juices, eggs or omelettes cooked for you, breads, hash browns, salad & Thai & Asian dishes. Hard to not find something to like! Fresh Coffee & tea serve to you. We found the staff friendly & helpful, both at breakfast & the front desk. We also used the baby sitting service, which our little girl loved. They have a small gym & a recreation room with a pool table & table tennis table, no kids club. The rooms were clean & serviced each day, it's free bottle of water provided daily. Is in walking distance to Karon township & has a mini mart & 7/11 very closeby. Free & good wifi access.

we got diarrhea after being there 2 days, staff in breakfast room are very pushy, unfriendly and unhelpful. when asking for a napkin, you get pointed to it. tables are not made up, no cutlery or table mat. the chef does not listen when ordering eggs. very stubborn. it seems that the head of the breakfast room has some kind of opinion and a bad attitude towards guests. the same breakfast every day, hardly any changes, became very boring. if you dont ask the room service to clean up your room early it doesn't get done until about pm, unacceptable. the location of the resort is very far from major attractions and shopping malls, therefore your taxi charges increase a lot. otherwise rooms are very large and modern, but not worth all the other hassles that come with this place. to many stairs, stair and more stairs!!!!

Hotel is good, staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Room, food, pools all good. Breakfast was nice food and plenty of choice. There is nothing near here so if you want to do anything, Karon is not the place to go although of course there are plenty of tours available. The resort was clean, the staff very friendly. Our room was spacious enough. With a good size balcony. Three swimming pools, which meant that you could swim without it being overcrowded. A buffet breakfast each morning was ample, with lots of variety. The only problem was that if you couldn't handle stairs, there were many of them. A lift was available, but you had to manage the stairs to get to the lift.

Nicely designed resort to have view of mountains and ocean together. Bit far from the airport though. The Karon Beach is not the best as it was restricted to swim. However it gives you the feeling of being very close to nature. If you are lover of hiking, perfect place. The prices is fair for a luxury hotel. If you are fun lover, the Karon Beach is not the best place.

Fair priced hotel, built against the hill on less then 300 meters from the beach. Situated a little on the outside of the village, it is a nice 5 minute walk to the center of town. The hotel has lots of facilities. At least three wonderful pools , towel and bar service. Good beds. High speed wifi available too. If you are here to relax, no need to go into town :) For people who need to work on their condition, I'd certainly advice to stay here, since there are a lot of stairs.

The staff are wonderful, the rooms are below average, the buffet breakfast is cold (it's supposed to be hot!) and the path to your room is stairs, stairs and more stairs. There are 4 pools which includes a kiddie pool. They were lovely and refreshing. You get what you pay for, or DON'T pay for here. It is a good location between Patong and Kata which are both great for shopping in the markets. The market here in Karon is OK but I found it a little more expensive than the others. The kids club is now closed, pity as we could have used it a few times. The laundry and games room is good. Good location for tour pick-ups but an hour from the airport. Overall it is a poor rating but I did enjoy my stay as the staff are great! I just can't do cold bacon and that many stairs in the heat or even in the cold!!

Its a nice resort , self sufficient, little outdated , nice employees. Food and drink is delicious. Instead of eating from the street , we tried everything we wanted to taste at the resort . Not on the beach as most of the hotels here. A very short distance by walk. Plus they have washing machine/dryer. 2 bottles of water offered by day .

Visited for 6 days.stayed at room 4126 which had a great view of the ocean but it had an annoying and random clicking noise coming from the back of the room outside.we were in another room on the same level but the door and frame fell apart as we entered the room due to timber warping from the weather.having been moved once i didnt want to complain about the noise and have to move again. Its a good position resort as its close to beach and resturants. There is a taxi stop out front as well as 7/11 convenience store.the 3 pools are excellent as well as the room service.breakfast was good as well .the customer service was faultless and we were greeted warmly by all staff. It does have alot of stairs so be prepared to exercise a little.there is an elevator but still have to use stairs. It needs a bit of tlc and maintenance as its older place and cracks have formed.$750 baht to get to the airport. $250 baht to patong

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was very nice. Have to be honest, the pool toilets when you leave reception towards your room is a total let down and I literally felt like I might get sick and that smell hit me. You also pass it when you head for the breakfast/restaurant. The staff were really helpful and their organisation skills with trips and such are amazing. Not once were we worried. They are situated close to Karon beach - please take note that the beach is FILTHY! Try Kata beach ot Patong beach instead. People seem to litter less there. They have 3 swimming pools(that I know of!) and the one that is about 2 storeys higher than the other 2 pools has an amazing view. So worth the sunburn I got! If tou are on a budget,but still need luxury and privacy - This place is it! They have free wifi!

We stayed there last week an overall a good budget resort. Breakfast was ok we had a ground floor room at the front looking across the road to the lake. The room was quite dark and insect screens should have been a must ! The pool areas were very good and the gardens very well maintained. For the price paid cannot really complain

Best Western in Karon Beach! First of all Karon Beach was a great nice to visit. Alot more laid back than busy Patpong Beach. This resort was very nice, especially the pools and the breakfast was awesome. Great assortment. The Hotel appears to be old older hotel but clean. This beach resort is NOT on the beach. It is two blocks from there. Most rooms have an ocean view. If you have a hard time walking up stairs , request a lower floor, as the higher floor you have the more oceanview you can see. The night market was a easy 5-10 walk. Each room has a mini refrig and safe in the room. the hotel offers a taxi service of their own to Phucket Airport, which is reasonable. Good wifi! I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for two nights, the room was a great size, with large bathroom and balcony. There are several pools on this site which allows you to change up your scenery a bit. The location is great, minutes away from the beach with great little food locations. Hotel staff were very friendly, we made use of the self service washing machine and dryer- which is located in the games room with free ping pong and a snooker table! The hotel is a little out dated, old furniture and layout- however if that doesn't bother you it's a nice place to be. One major issue was that the lift was broken- the rooms are up several flights of stairs so this was annoying.

We are currently staying at the Best Western Karon Beach Absolutely no complaints! They cater at a reasonable price for everyone! The rooms are clean, breakfast good, pools are great! WiFi fast! service is wonderful. Not 5 star, but will certainly come back next time we are here.

Near Karon beach, staff very helpful, breakfast not that good if breakfast better will give them 5 star, nice pools, a lot of Russian tourists. A lots of restaurants around. But far from Patong or city if u like busy area, night life stay at Patong but if u like quite place will prefer this one. This hotel not next to the beach but still can see the ocean.

Where do I start! How about the shower was caked in mould as you'll see from the pic! There's constant cockroaches and millipedes roaming the hotel even in restaurant. The wifi is terrible. The TV isn't set up as per the card in ur room, we had 1 English channel (and as you're a bit out of the way from patong where all the nightlife is we couldn't really chill out in the room) they couldn't give us a dvd player to even buy dvds for the room, I emailed in advance to be told I would get a king size or at least double bed and was given 2 single beds (me and the Mrs couldn't really sleep together, one of us kept falling down the middle unless we shared a single bed) the staff weren't the best 2 receptionists didn't even acknowledge what was wrong and when we checked out early to move hotels they didn't even say anything just checked us out and sent us on our way, when the bell boy brought our bags to the room on arrival I said that I had no change on me from a 1000 baht note as we had just arrived and he laughed turned around and said they say this every time! To the point where I felt so guilty I walked to the 7/11 opposite bought some stuff for the room purely so I could give him a tip afterwards. We were there 1 day then paid 260 to stay in The Charm Resort Patong....MUCH BETTER by the way!!! The rooms are so old fashioned it's like I was staying in the 1930's! I'm not just saying this, honestly shop around there are much better hotels available, stay in patong and go for the Charm Resort or The Holiday Inn, if you're staying in Karon go to Centara, hell..sleep on the streets and you'd be better off!!! Trust me STAY AWAY ALL! I have put a pic of the mould on the shower we took on my Mrs camera and also a pic of me and the Mrs so you can get the type of people we are, we wouldn't usually complain but this nearly put a dampener on the holiday. NOTHING BEST ABOUT THIS PLACE

Great hotel, lovely views . Rooms clean and basic, staff are very friendly and helpful. Love the location set on the hillside so nice and quiet , but only a few minutes walk to the bars , restaurants and nightlife. Would recommend this hotel, but there are a lot of steps for anyone with walking or fitness issues.

I stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago. The fact that I am now booking another stay for later this year says it all, Rooms are big. Beds are big and comfy. Great location. It's only a short walk to the beach or the local shop and money changer. Take a short cut through the side market to get to the centre of Karon. Staff are excellent. Nothings too much trouble. Breakfast is much the same as you get anywhere.Pools are great especially after a hot day walking around. The only thing I can criticize is the stairs up to the rooms. So steep. Yes there is an elevator but it wasn't near my room. Looking forward to my second stay.

We stayed 3 nights. Good hotel with reasonable price. Room was clean and spacious with comfy bed. Resort was close to the beach, not too far from market and restaurants. Hotel has 3 pools which were nice and not crowded. As courtesy, provided beach towels and 2 bottles of mineral water daily, which was much appreciated. We didn't dined at hotel's restaurant, as they didn't had options for vegetarians. Be aware if you are traveling with kids and elder, there are many steps to climb to the room. Overall the stay was very pleasant. Definitely would recommend this resort.

We stayed for 8 nights and found it comfortable and friendly. The staff were helpful and had a clean tidy room daily. The restaurant was great, we had breakfast every morning and it was included in our package, we had dinner twice at the restaurant and both nights it was lovely. The pool was a life saver of those hot days. The beach was a 5min walk away. The day spa was well priced, you could look for a cheaper option, but you will only get what you pay for in the end. Excellent treatments and reasonable prices Enjoy.

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 weeks and enjoyed our stay very much. The location was convenient for us and also enjoyed the pool very much. They helped arrange for taxi's to airport and back which made our lives much easier. Only thing is that we asked for a double bed and got 2 single beds and the wifi kept cutting out. Other than that, we where very happy with the hotels service and cleanliness. Thank you to all the staff that always had a smile :)

Although we only stayed for one night, we enjoyed our stay there. The bed is comfortable and room is spacious. Our room is located on the hill, but there is an elevator and only a bit walk up (a good exercise). Breakfast is plentiful and offers wide range to choose from. When we were there, the breakfast room was very busy but the staff manage to find a nice spot for us. We did not go to the beach but it is only a very short walk. All in all, a good hotel.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff is plus. Good position, not far away from beach and very close to market and city. There are stairs, but there is also and elevator. Gardening was most fascinating. There are much more luxury hotels but this is great value for money.

Its easy to be dissuaded by negative reviews of a hotel but most of these reviews stem from individuals who know they are booking a 3* hotel but expect 5* facilities. The BW Phuket Ocean Resort gives you everything they advertise. Comfortable room, clean linen, toiletries, functional air conditioning and lighting speed Wifi. The staff are friendly and eager to assist. I've read multiple reviews regarding the stairs and thought "Oh it cant be all that bad". I requested a sea-facing view which saw us housed on the fourth floor. I had the option of climbing 130 steps to get to my room or taking the lift which works well. Breakfast has something for every taste. The pools were always clean and offers a well needed respite from the heat. The bar runs a 2 for 1 special on cocktails from 20:00 to 22:00 daily :) All things considered, I would not hesitate to stay at the BW i future.

The hotel is very nice and clean with a very good service. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It seems that they just think of everything to make you feel comfortable. Plus, the hotel is very close to the beach. The town of karon isn't very exciting and very touristic.

I've now stayed at this hotel twice. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size and the beds - very comfortable. The Ocean Resort is very reasonably priced and for what you pay is excellent value. Breakfast is brilliant, fruit, stir fry, eggs you name it, it's there. We refer to stay in Karon in preference to Patong, it's just a bit out of the rush and bustle of Patong but only 10 minutes and 400 baht from Patong. Karon has a great beach and plenty of shops and restaurants so it's no problem to have an enjoyable time.

Good: Hotel is good for the price they offer. Room was big enough, clean, well kept every day. Balcony with sea view is awesome. Pools are ok. Air con is good. Location is good, close to the sea, not in the center of Karon, but there is a shortcut path to the center. They offer good price airport taxi - 750THB. (Fixed price taxi at the airport costs 1000 THB) Bad: The corridor to our room (1431) is awfull. There are outside units for the air cons inside the corridor, which make it hot as hell. The arc to the corridor only about 180cm high. I'm 192cm tall, so i had to be careful not to hit my head.I've noticed that only our corridor had such issues. Stay away from the units in the same section as 1431. Ants are everywhere, in the room, balcony, bathroom. Too many stairs, espeacially if you have small baby. Gym equipment is quite old. Wifi is bad.

Our family stayed in this hotel for four nights in the end of March.Very nice resort,close to Karon Beach & Karon centre.Room was clean,linens changed daily, two bottles of mineral waters provided each day.We had wonderful sea view from the balcony.Hotel has three swimming pools,which were clean & fringed with palm trees,very nice ambience.Breakfast buffet had lots of choices,continental & Asian with live omlette counter.Staff always were very helpful, language was not a problem at all.We had arranged for airport drop off from the hotel which was 750 Bahts,hotel also arranged for a packed breakfast for us as we had a very early flight .Overall a great stay at a very reasonable price.Would love to stay here again.

I'm writing this review while I'm lying by the pool at the Best Western Phuket, Karon. Myself and my husband are staying here for 9 days and it is great value for what you pa. it is our first time to Thailand (normally go to Bali) and we got a great deal through Expedia and upgraded to a deluxe ocean view room. The resort is close to the beach, great pools, great variety for breakfast, rooms are clean and comfortable but a little tired and in need of a renovation but when the price is so cheap to stay here,bwho really cares. I would definitely suggest a room by the lower ground pools if you can. If you have read other reviews there are a lot of stairs and the last thing you want to do if you've been out in the hot sun is to walk up millions of stairs to get to your room! Rooms: 1611-1616 are the closest to the pools and reception (tip is to have a look at the layout of the rooms on the website. My only complaint would be that the service by some of the staff is lacking and some of them are not very friendly (sorry Best Western staff we are just used to the friendly, helpful people in Bali) but overall a great resort and we would definitely stay here again. Would highly recommend a restaurant called Yings (doesn't look much but great Thai food at very cheap prices!

Booked in on the 18th April. Great place and location though the doff doff (bass sound) tuk tuk are very loud at night. Good food. Excellent staff and room recommend room 1619/20 close to pool. Great for a recoup of the body. Comfy beds. Happy times

Fantastic, the staff were very nice and helpfull, especially when my phone got wet from Songkran and they very quickly got one of their staff to help me dry it out, with hair dryer, heatpump and rice. They were very quick and more then willing to help. Also changed rooms due to noisy guest and they were more than happy to help. Breakfast the best I've had so far. Rooms good for the price paid. I would come back again

This hotel was amazing, for the price you pay its very very good. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are great, the outdoor pool is amazing with a bar, we got breakfast included in our stay and the food was always amazing, fresh fruits, continental breaky, eggs, bacon, sausages, whatever you want really, scooter hire are just at the front door, close to the main street of Karon Beach. To top it off the view from our room was to die for. I will definitely go back

Stayed here for three nights for a very good price. Our room was comfortable and spacious and cleaned everyday. Pools were nice, managed to get a sun lounger easy enough. Not a bad location near the beach and shops/restaurants Can't comment on breakfast as we were room only. Charged 700baht for late check out and 750baht for a taxi which I thought was good. Would recommend

If you are wanting 5 star authentic Thailand then this is not the hotel for you. This is a very good budget hotel and with the room prices as low as they are, anyone expecting luxury should think of paying for a luxury hotel. The pool area was lovely, breakfast absolutely fine with lots of choice, beach towels provided, comfortable bedding, free coffee in reception, friendly and helpful staff and more importantly - very clean. Would certainly recommend but remember - its 3 star so dont expect 5 star. Also of note, lots of steps so anyone with mobility problems could not stay here as no provision for them. There are ramps but they are more like steep 90 degrees hills!

We stayed here for a week during our six week trip around Thailand. I am very unimpressed with this hotel. There is nothing "best" about this "best western". 1. The pools need to be cleaned. BADLY! I didn't see them clean the pool on the roof once while we stayed here, and the water kept getting worse and worse with dirt. 2. The drain in the shower was clogged, so we flooded the bathroom and the hallway every time we took a shower. We asked about this in the reception twice, but nothing happened. 3. We were told there would be free wifi in our room. It didn't work for the entire week. 4. The bed had springs sticking out of it. YES, METAL SPRINGS STICKING UP THROUGH THE FABRIC IN THE MATRESS! There is absolutely no way the cleaning ladies haven't noticed this while cleaning the room. 5. The breakfast area was not big enough for all the guests. There was always a line to be seated. You didn't get to decide where or with whom you wanted to sit. The food was ok, but we didn't have breakfast there more than twice as there was always a 15-20 minute wait. 6. The TV in our room didn't work. Neither did the radio. 7. You had to get up at 7 in the morning if you wanted a chair in the pool area. 8. When we checked out the reception staff accused us of stealing two pool towels. We never even got pool towels in the first place. Over all I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are plenty of better hotels for a more reasonable price. But I would like to recommend the restaurant. (For dinner. Not for breakfast!) It is probably the best italian restaurant in Karon. If you are craving pizza or pasta, it is the place to go!

It is a good hotel for that price. The location is good near restaurant and the beach. You have to cross a busy road but their is man that stops the traffic to help you. The poolarea and the rooms was good, we had a nice seaview from the big balcony. Receptiondesk did only speak a little english so you couldnt ask them for help. The breakfast was not good, too little options , and you did have to eat before 8 o´clock if you didnt want to queue to get a table. I wouldnt stay here again because the breakfastbuffe is quite importent for us when we have holiday and stay at hotel.

Me and my husband stayed in the hotel in Feb 2016 for 1 day, The hotel is pretty decent for the price. Centrally located area with beach in 5 min reach, clean rooms with a nice balcony. I am a non swimmer so found the pool too deep. The only problems we faced was there was too many stairs to climb and you find it tiring when its hot and sweaty. But a good hotel for the budget traveller.

Location is good. There are a number of good restaurants and bars very close but it is still very quiet. We got a room with an awesome ocean view just as we had asked for. We had taken the most basic room but even that was very spacious and comfortable. Two days after we had been there I twisted my ankle and we were given a room on the ground floor immediately. We didn't even have to ask for it. The room was for 3 people unlike the room we had booked which was for two. But there was no extra charge. The breakfast buffet had a very good selection and was of good quality. The restaurant at the hotel offered good food at reasonable prices.

Very good location for the bars & restaurants. Only a 5 minute walk, same as the beach. For the price we loved it and would definitely stay again when in the area. The breakfast was scrummy something for everyone. Great pools

Room was spacious with good sized bed and fridge. Great sunset view from the balcony. Buffet breakfast was good but no AC. stairs to climb out of the lobby to the elevator, so wouldn't suggest it for anyone with stair climbing problems. In house restaurant food was good, fresh , varied menu, and priced and presented well. Great location -5 min walk to fantastic karon beach, 15 min taxi to Patong Beach.

The location of this hotel is it's best feature, a 5 min shaded walk to Karon beach, which is a beautiful un-crowded beach. Six or 7 eateries are located on the beach, as well as acess to the downtown of Karon. I would not recommend this beach for children unless they are competent swimmers as it has as a fast drop off after about 10ft. The hotel is has a definite 1970's feel, with blond arbotite builtin furniture. The bathroom has been renovated with shower and new dark click flooring. The bathroom towels and linen were in good shape and very clean. The bathroom toiletries were also good quality. The room was clean and had a good size fridge included. Room size was moderate, with excellent sun set viewing balcony. Patong Beach was a 400bht ride away. Breakfast buffet just ok with premade omelets which are not so good. We ate Dinner at the inhouse restaurant twice and both meals were very good. I find this hotel a bit overpriced, considering its older condition and the amount of stairs one has to traverse to use its facilities.

We stayed here January 2016 and were overall quite happy. Good - Awesome Breakfast! Lots of fruits eggs etc. Good location and nice pools. Rooms were good as well, Note that hotel is on the side of a large hill, and getting to your room requires many stairs. When you have luggage, a porter will carry the larger luggage for you. No one with mobility issues should stay here. Not so good - The dining area has no AC, and can get too hot to enjoy your meal. Over all, a good place, nice staff and decent location.

Hello There, We came back after 2 weeks in Thailand Phuket, and it was very nice stay. Didn't spend many time in hotel, as we were traveling around the island and took many excursions. Room was nice, not that big, but had all we needed : fridge, air con. tv, hair fan, free safe etc. We stayed in 4th floor and had a nice see view in front of one of the pools, balcony was huge, but it's nothing special, as all balconys and terraces were very big. i recommend to ask room in fifth floor, as view should be much better. Room has been been cleaned daily, just cleaner had lack of fantasy probably, as we left tips every day, and didn't get nothing made from towels as our previous stay in Thailand two years ago, of course, it is not important, but is very lovely and nice sometimes get a small surprise. We really enjoyed all pools, it was cleaned and nice. We ate just twice in hotel's restaurant ( I mean dinner) as all the time were eating outside, but food was very nice and looked really good. Breakfast was really nice, lot of different food. Waiters were very friendly and helpful. In conclusion all I can say in was pleasant stay, hotel didn't impressed us a lot as hotel for us is not an important thing, most important, bed was very very comfortable :) but nothing bad we really can not say about it, clean pools, clean territory, nice rooms and nice sea view and very nice food. Btw sea is only 4 minutes walk from hotel, Karon beach is lovely and Karon centre very nice too, so enjoy guys ;)

We got the deluxe room. The balcony that came with it was nice but the room was a bit small. The staff seemed really overworked and tired of tourists. The kids room does not exist anymore, which was a disappointment because that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel - to have an indoor area where our 18 month old could take a break from the sun. The breakfast was good.

Very nice stay. Rooms spacious and very clean. White linen! Will definitely go back again! Breakfast very tasty. Variety also great! Swimming pools very clean. Very friendly staff that assist you with tours.

Recently stayed at the BW Ocean Resort and had a great stay. Nothing to complain about. The rooms were very spacious and cleaned daily. Great swimming pools and nice to have clean pool towels every day. Restaurant food was very good. Staff were very pleasant and always happy to help, nothing was too much trouble. The location of the hotel is brilliant and is in easy walking distance to the beach and supermarkets. Karon Centre is a short walk from the hotel, through the little market which is open most nights. You then come to lively Bars and good restaurants. There is a bigger market in Karon if you like shopping & Kata beach is lovely too. Sea very calm and golden sands, there is also a very good night market in Kata. Overall I would stay here again as could not fault much about our stay at the hotel or Karon Beach Resort.

Clean and quiet rooms all with Ocean views of sorts. Reception staff very friendly, but cleaning staff should work a it Harding of friendliness. The cleaning staff do a great job of keep the hotel rooms and grounds clean. The rooms are a little over priced for Karon. There is no one on staff to help plan day trips or outings. The other problem is stairs and more stairs. The hotel in not set up for handicap quests.

The hotel is ok, the room is not so fresh, at least two of our rooms. We stayed on the two bungalow direct on the front of the pool. the cleaning service is horrible. Sometimes I wondered if they even have clean our room. We've booked this hotel because we were late with the hotel booking due to the holiday season. i wouldn't recommended this hotel if you like to have a tidy room.

Loved it here! Upon arrival you receive a lovely envelope with info and a time to meet a local tour guide who shows you all the great things on offer! We had a fantastic time exploring the Phi Phi Islands thanks to the tour guides advice. Shops are very close by and the beach across the road behind the lagoon. Great value for money too. We had a room right by the pool which made our stay even better as was very humid there at the time we went. The poolside bar was a huge plus on stinking hot days and the drinks were delicious! A full breakfast buffet each morning was provided so we ate well and room service is super fast. Staff are always happy to help for whatever you need also. Hoping to go back again soon as we absolutely loved our time here. If you can book the Phi Phi Islands day tour on Jet boats, you wont be disappointed!!!! :)

We had a great time in Phuket. Karon beach was beautifull. The hotel was good, we had a room with seaview. There are a lot of steps to your room, but we didn't mind. We knew that in advance. There is much to see and much to do. We had rented a scooter , which was better than hiring a taxi . The food is great, and the people very nice.

Best western Phuket Ocean Resort is located near Karon beach. It has very neat n clean room and quiet surrounding. Very vast breakfast spread. Only drawback is that you have to climb many steps to take lift for upper floors. Tuk tuk are easily available outside hotel.

Awesome hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The staff is always ready to help you in any and every way. Not a single issue bothered us there..the room, breakfast, staff every service was just perfect. Also it has 3 awesome pools. Walking distance from Karon beach. It's location is cherry on the top.

We recently stayed at BW Phuket Ocean Resort & it was an amazing stay. Pros 1) Great Hotel, Good Restaurant, V Good Swimming Pools (There are 4 pools), Nice Decor 2) Always Great Service from smiling staff. 3) Great Location - Opp Karon Beach & 2 min walk to Karon Market. 7/11 & Family Mart are just 5 shops away. Cons 1) Lots of Stairs. We have a small baby so it was big pain for us. But when you understand the layout of property its unavoidable. And excellent service from staff, makes up for it. The hotel has a very good location and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast selection was quite good, and the swimming pools and grounds is well kept. What bothered me most was the torn bed and stained bed sheets.

I just wanted to say thank you to Amornrat and all the staff who were so helpful and kind during our stay at this lovely hotel.We had a great time and the food in the hotel was delicious.Everyone so friendly and a lovely sea view from our room-thanks!

I was happy with the room over all and the resort was in a good location and had some fantastic pools and a nice resturant but. This place is starting to show its age just small things like towel rail hanging on with one screw and the broken mirror in our room. And the bath is very high up I'm a 6 foot guy and I struggled hopping out onto the wet floor. But the room was nice and the staff were friendly what more could you want.

And someone stole my thongs from the pool area and the staff did not care! We stayed here for 2 nights in total in one of the furthest away rooms, (good ocean view but very dated room) and both days after leaving and doing activities we returned to our room to find our key did not work. The staff on some occasions we ok but the general disposition was cranky and couldn't be bothered. Breakfast is not included in your accom. We ate at the restaurant one of the nights and the wait times between meals was ridiculously long, when it did arrive it was cold...!!! For the price of the room,, i do not recommend this stay!

Stayed in rooms 4124 and 4126. Very spacious, a bit dated. Rooms with a view!!!! Nightly sunset was awesome! Only complaint was Room 4126 had a odd odour in the washroom occasionally. Hotel is currently in the midst of a renovation. Noise is only during the day. Fire crackers go off across the road. Not the hotels fault! We loved John in the dining room. He is from the Philippines. Absolutely the best waiter Ever!!!! Don't recommend any level above the first floor (rooms start with 3) if you have difficulty walking up hill and climbing stairs. Awesome buffet breakfast, great staff, airport shuttle service (your dime) was very convenient! Water replaced daily free. Nice roomy fridge. Washer and dryer was hard to find. Nice to do a load of clothes! Nicely located across the road from Karon Beach.

This may be a long review but hang in there. The actual resort itself was pretty good, it's old but perfectly functional, clean etc. There are 3 pools to choose from, nice views over looking the Andaman Sea, Karon lake and parts of the mayhem that is Karon. The breakfast was pretty good, with quite a big offering from 630-1030 daily. The things that really let us down were - we booked a King bed deluxe room, non smoking. We arrived late so quite fatigued, we literally had to change rooms 4 times before we found the room we paid for. The first had 2 single beds, the second had the same, the third was a heavy smokers room, finally after many attempts we found a suitable room. It wasn't amazing but the bed was comfy, shower was worn out and tired. The view was nice. The next problem was the ongoing renovations, understand resorts needs to find time to do this but it was very disruptive. Sleep quality was fine but they worked from 8am - 6pm daily, so quiet time by the pool didn't happen. Banging, grinding, sanding, hammering etc. Great location! Restaurant food was nice, some staff were friendly and helpful. We had to change rooms again due to renovations, once we had this room we couldn't hear a thing. The wifi is questionable, very slow and OFTEN dropped out. Frustrating as this is our only source of communication with friends/family back home etc Aircon worked perfectly and at times we were too cold. After getting our room made up the house keeping staff turned it off, so we worked out early to request an early room make up over breakfast so we could turn it back on. Language barrier made it hard to say "please do not turn off". Also our fridge froze all our waters and beers etc, so needed a replacement but they were prompt in doing so I feel it's hard to give this one a fair review due to renovations because it is quite a nice resort, old but comfy. Certainly would recommend it :)

Went for my short holiday. From airport you can grab a taxi or a bus, 700bhat for cab 200bhat for bus. Front Office staff are friendly and very helpful one of the staff guide me to room. room was big with 2 bottle of free drinking water and 4 packets of peanuts which is chargeable 130bhat the view from the room is spectacular clean room, comfortable bed, have a private locker with 4 digit of password. Wifi is good. Housekeeping staff are very very helpful big Thank you. Room service is pretty fast. Overall it Is the best hotel for the budget Travellers. Will see you soon Regards Bishal

A great hotel, although the rooms are a little dated. Big rooms with free bottled water everyday. Provide a great range of amenities in bathroom such as razor, toothbrush etc. Lots of steps to climb to get to lift so not ideal for somebody with reduced mobility. We had breakfast included which was a bonus. Restaurant for snacks and evening meal was very good. All staff very attentive. Couldn't ask for more. The only downside is the games area, the equipment is well past it and could do with replacing.

Nice accommodation, but as the room faced the mountains, there were mosquitoes. Conveniently located near stores and restaurants. Quite unfortunately, the haze from Indonesia blew here during my visit

tried to sum this place up in the title. Whilst we were there, during a lot of renovations the relaxation was spoilt a ittle by the works ( drills etc) but the staff were great and ignoring the works its a good location near shops resturant on site and a quiet beach area. All i would say is check the works are done ( which they probably would be by the time you read thi.)

First time to Phuket but not my last. A group of four (we had two rooms next to each other with two single beds) we stayed here for eight nights and enjoyed every bit of it. The room was clean and suited our needs. Bathroom was good and clean and they even had extras like toothbrush, paste, cotton bugs, razor and a sewing kit. They have three pools here and they were amazing. While we were there one of the pools was having tile maintenance but there was still plenty of room in the other two pools. If you want a clean and nice place to stay then this is the place to be. It is handy to the shops and the beach is a few strolls away. The breakfast was amazing with everything you can think of and the dinners were divine. A lot of people say don't eat at hotel restaurant's because they are overpriced but not at BW Ocean Resort the prices were cheap and the food was excellent, actually they serve the best chicken satay with peanut sauce I have ever tasted and the spring rolls are to die for top marks to the Chef's. I also thought their cocktails were very cheap and they have the best Strawberry Daiquiri and Long Island. Will definitely stay here again :)

Had been to Phuket on annual trip taken by office... The hotel is very scenic and beautiful... its just opposite to the beach and have a beautiful view from the hotel room... behind the hotel there is a beautiful hill... the room and bathroom are very neat and clean... and the wifi is quite fast but better to use it in the lobby.. the receptionists are very cordial and professional... the breakfast was complimentary and sumptuous with lots of fruits in option...

It's hard to believe that you can stay in such a nice resort for such a reasonable price. The property is built in terraces up the side of a mountain. Paying just a little extra for an ocean view, I could see from my balcony all three pools, the whole city, as well as the Andaman sea. The staff were so sweet to me all the time. The breakfast was so extensive it had me experimenting with different combinations of cuisines each day. The room was comfortable with AC that couldn't be beat. Perhaps, the bed could be improved by the use of one large mattress instead of two small ones side-by-side. Loved the shower. The location is almost ideal; this year, though, the shortcut to the town's restaurant and bar zone was closed, leaving the oceanfront path as the only way around. This was my third time there and I look forward to my return.
